Best Western Plus Grand Rapids MN

From the very beginning, I was welcomed warmly by Heather (who was very helpful and wonderful—give her a raise and recognition when you can)! The hotel is nice, clean, and seems relatively new. It has everything you need. Even the complimentary makeup remover wipes smell nice (refreshing cucumber scented). Overall, I recommend this hotel for their great customer service and cleanliness!

Newer hotel (4 years ). Lobby is really nice. King room was large. Bed comfortable. Shower could use a little more pressure but doable. Good breakfast. Hannah at front desk was helpful and courteous. Restaurants close by

Very clean rooms, halls, lobby, pool, and breakfast area. Good breakfast too. Friendly and professional desk staff. This was our second two-night stay there in the last couple of years. We would definitely stay again.

This was a surprisingly nice hotel. Was not expecting such a new and modern BW. The gal at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. Offered us free bottles of water (many Marriotts where we are platinum members don't do this) and helpful advice. The whole place including our room was in great shape and very stylishly decorated. The room was bigger than expected for this class of hotel. When I made the reservation I requested a quiet room on an upper floor and got it! The refrigerator was a larger size which was welcomed. A unique touch was the chest freezer on each floor with small pre-bagged ice vs those always loud or broken ice machines. The free breakfast was standard for these types of hotels. Price was a tad high but it was week after holiday so lots of tourists like us. Highly recommended.

The best hotel we have ever stayed at. What a hotel should be. Pleasant design, extremely clean, an amazing staff. An absolutely amazing breakfast buffet...Could not think of a single element that was less than perfect.

Very nice hotel. When we arrived, we were greeted by friendly staff and check in was a breeze. Front desk clerk gave us an awesome recommendation for pizza. Hotel has a nice outside area for sitting and enjoying the night. Room was great. We had a suite with the extra space for a couch. There were side tables to put your computer on, chairs and table to sit at, and overall a very, very nice room. The only complaint, if there is one, is the mattress was way too soft. Breakfast in the morning was great. Omelets, sausage, potatoes, eggs, pastries, waffles, fruit, yogurt machine, juice - the list goes on. There is coffee, cappuccino, espresso, tea, etc available 24 hours in the lobby. Hotel was very quiet, very clean and very friendly.

The staff were outgoing and friendly; the room was clean; the walk-in shower was novel and welcome. However, the mattresses were unexpectedly spongy and soft. We sank in enough that it was difficult to turn over (and we are not overweight!). I would be hesitant to stay here again unless the hotel offered a choice in the firmness of mattresses.

This hotel is fantastic! It's nice and new with great staff and great linens. The rooms are clean and spacious. The breakfast offerings are plentiful and the location is excellent, near a Starbucks, Circle K, Target, and grocery store.

What a fantastic stay! The moment we walked in Ruth was available, smiling, and friendly! She was efficient and made us feel welcome! The rooms were comfortable and clean! The shower is one of the best showers at any hotel we've stayed at! Water pressure and hot water was good! They have bagged ice in coolers available instead of an ice machine! Very thoughtful! The breakfast attendant was efficient and friendly! I wish all hotels had this standard. Only regret, not stay a couple more nights!

This hotel is amazing! Cleanest hotel I have ever stayed at. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Had a reservation glitch when checking in and Charlotte said she would take care of it and not to worry. She got it fixed right away! Heather was so friendly and kind. It was a pleasure to see both ladies!! Breakfast was great. All the other staff were so cheerful and helpful also. Will definitely return to this hotel and tell all my friends to stay there when in the area!

My favorite hotel in this area, awesome staff that acknowledges your BW status, I've received upgrades and room preferences upon request, the rooms are super clean with a great layout, super cozy beds and pillows, nothing I would change, the breakfast is better than most hotels I stay at, pulled pork to make burritos, omelets, waffles, etc. then a Nespresso machine to make your favorite coffee beverage. They have EV plugins out front, I nice fitness room, lap pool, unfortunately no whirlpool. You'll love this hotel, they're doing it right

My stays at the Best Western Plus in Grand Rapids, MN weren't just “good hotel experiences”—they became something we looked forward to, time and time again. And the biggest reason? Heather, the front desk receptionist with a heart of pure gold. From the very first time we walked through the doors, Heather made us feel like family. She radiates warmth, patience, and genuine kindness. It didn't matter if we were checking in late, or forgetting to make our reservation ahead of time, asking about local recommendations, or just grabbing a coffee in the lobby—she was always there with a smile and a kind word and a cookie. She truly sets the tone for the entire hotel. Yes, the rooms are clean and comfortable. Yes, the amenities are what you'd expect from a quality hotel. But what makes this place special is the people. Management clearly cares, and the atmosphere is one of professionalism, hospitality, and heart. We traveled to Grand Rapids frequently over the course of a year, and we never once considered staying anywhere else. The Best Western became our home away from home—and Heather became the face we were always happy to see. Honestly, I've thought more than once about sending her a Christmas card. She's that wonderful. If you're heading to Grand Rapids and want more than just a place to sleep—if you want to feel welcomed and cared for—stay here. And if you're lucky enough to meet Heather at the front desk, tell her someone still remembers just how amazing she made their whole year.

I have been traveling to Grand Rapids, MN for the better part of 2024 for business and have been staying at the Best Western Plus every time. Heather has gone out of her way to ensure myself and my coworkers have felt at home and comfortable every single time we come here. From little things like giving us the TV remote so we could watch what we wanted on TV when working in the lobby, to more important things like helping us book our rooms on weekends she knows it is going to be busy, she has gone above and beyond to take care of us. I would recommend this place to anyone I know coming here purely for Heather alone. She makes visiting Grand Rapids in the frigid winter worth it!!

A++ to Heather! She was always running and cleaning and answering phones. Very happy and accommodating! Also Jasmine helped me when I accidentally booked two rooms. As for the rooms and lobby…. Very well maintained and clean. Beautiful setting. Staff are always cleaning! Rooms are spacious and spotless. I would go here again just because its so nice! And free cookies and espresso machine with hot chocolate, lattes, etc. all the time!

It's such a well-kept, clean place with friendly staff and great breakfast selections. Views from the rooms facing the back of the property are stunning. I have stayed there twice- a year apart- and found the hotel to exceed expectations during both stays.

This is a great place to stay! The rooms are clean, the hotel is new. They have a pool, complimentary breakfast, hot coffee in the lobby, light snacks available for purchase. This is my third time staying here. I would recommend it! Nearby restaurants, shopping, friendly staff, plenty of parking…it is an excellent value for the price. If you need a place to stay in Grand Rapids- this should be your first choice.

The property is lovely. I seldom write a review, but watching Heather, the front desk manager, was so amazing. I watched her several times each of the three days we spent there was incredible. When she wasn't welcoming and registering every person walking through the door, she was moving quickly to pick up, clean up after guests, and providing service that was above and beyond. I have never been treated as well at any hotel I have ever stayed. She is amazing!

This is the hotel where we usually stay when visiting the Grand Rapids, MN area. Building and parking lot are well maintained. Hotel lobby and breakfast area are always neat and clean. Hotel staff is always friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable.

Great location! Friendly staff with clean and comfortable rooms. We had a great night sleeping in a comfy king bed. It was a hot day of golfing and the air conditioner "quietly" kept us cool while sleeping. Also enjoyed a hot breakfast. We love staying at Best Westerns!

Great hotel in Grand Rapids Area. Clean rooms, good breakfast, nice pool, quiet for sleeping needs. Staff was friendly and helpful. We will use this hotel again. (This was our 2nd stay at this facility.) Hotel is easy to locate and is close to downtown area and restaurants.

Grand Rapids is my hometown, and therefore we stay here regularly when visiting family. Charlotte and her team never disappoint! Cleanliness and small housekeeping details make all the difference. We have yet to stay in a room here that was not spotless and meticulously prepared. And the staff! Housekeepers always smile and say hi, breakfast staff is present and attentive, and front desk is fast and efficient. Special shout out to Heather, who is often working when we check in late in the evening. She always has a smile, a warm welcome, and just makes our day in general.

We had no idea what the Grand Rapids, MN hotel had to offer but love every Best Western Plus we've stayed at. Gave it a try and were completely blown away from the time we stepped through the door! Professional staff registered us, the hotel was immaculate and our room perfect. All amenities from bathroom to linens were perfect. A definite return trip planned!

Very pleasant experience. Warm welcoming staff. Very clean newer facility. Room was great and bed was very comfortable. Very quiet and restful. Breakfast provided a good offering and staff very very attentive on clean up and ensuring that food offerings were plentiful.

Extremely clean (I have contamination OCD and still felt comfortable in the guest room) and very friendly service. Breakfast food was pretty meh (par for the course with chain hotels), but the breakfast staff were SO friendly. Within walking distance of Target and a few restaurants. Will definitely stay again.

Very polite greeting and clean room. The greeter even offered me bottled water. The place is close to target Walmart and a fleet and farm store. Restaurants are really close and were even open on Monday. I was really surprised that they had a room seeing the parking lot was full.

Stayed one night. Nice large room, very comfortable. Good breakfast. Friendly staff. Conveniently located to good restaurants, the Judy Garland House and the Forest History Center. If you find yourself in Grand Rapids, I would stay here.

Being new it has that new hotel smell, the rooms are very nice, big TV, comfortable bed and pillows, staff super friendly, breakfast was better than standard with some kinda pulled pork? It was good whatever it was, lol I usually stay across the street but will stay here again

Front desk person very rude and wasn't friendly at all. 5 minutes of rules for my 2, 12 yr olds. It was ridiculous! Hotel is nice but do not go there with kids. Got kicke led out of the lobby at 10PM sharp due to hotel policy and 3 of us were having a quiet conversation!

Our stay was fabulous!! Kiddos wanted to swim so we did an impromptu stay on our way home from the cabin. The staff were so friendly and helpful! My kids are 11 & 7 and they noticed & commented on how friendly the staff were, too. Rooms were very clean & breakfast was delightful. Beautiful stay!!

Nice hotel. Clean and new. Staff was helpful. The walls and floors are a bit thin and I could hear everything coming from the room upstairs. Other than that, nice place to stay.

We were absolutely pleasantly surprised by how nice and beautiful this hotel was. Especially for the price. Absolutely beautiful and clean rooms, great and friendly staff, and the complimentary breakfast but absolutely amazing, great variety, and the Nespresso coffee machine was a huge surprise!

It was ok but the place wasn't all the great it was one of the better places I've seen in a long time but it didn't have the qualities that it should have had so for a Best Western and it really should have been much better than what was there I think and I'll leave it to you

Heather was the best host we could've asked for, providing top tier service that was second to none. The hotel itself has all the amenities you could need - a pool, laundry, breakfast, cookies, and coffee! The rooms were large and extremely clean, and the beds were very comfortable too. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

First of all, this is a beautiful new hotel. Lucky us there was a Starbucks in the parking lot! The room was roomy and clean. Beautifully decorated. Walking into the entryway of the hotel was very impressive. The whole experience was very nice. I only have one complaint. The walls must be paper thin. There was someone in the next room snoring all night. And at 7 AM this morning somebody's phone in the next room must've been vibrating and they must've had it by our wall. It actually woke us up. the breakfast was nice. Very nice room. It wasn't anything overly special but it was definitely nice to have a hot breakfast. The only advice I have is when booking rooms maybe they could space them apart. Maybe do every other room. That way you wont hear the neighbors. We heard them talking we could've answered their questions. It definitely was not real private. But overall it is a beautiful hotel and I would still stay there again.

Any time I'm in Grand Rapids I stay at this hotel. It is clean, with all the amenities you nee(Except Hot Tub). But the thing that really sets it apart is the staff, the front desk team is always there to greet you with a friendly smile and ready to go above and beyond to make your stay the very best.

Relatively new hotel run by a professional staff. We love staying here. The rooms are nice and the grounds are well kept. It's quiet during the week. I've never stayed here on the weekend so I have no idea what it's like. Coffee is good. It tastes like you made it yourself.

I did not expect this level of service, friendliness, breakfast options, and room quality at this price. I stay at hotels 2-3 times and have stayed at very expensive hotels and very cheap hotels. This is an inexpensive hotel that easily compares to a name brand hotel at a much higher rate. A special section for GF breakfast, very new everywhere, large rooms, great beds and TVs, and wonderful service.

This is an excellent place to relax, sleep, and eat. We didn't get to swim as we were there for family needs. Comfy beds, great shower, great breakfast included in room rate. I recommend this hotel 100%.

Nice new property, friendly and helpful staff. Loud, drunk hockey parents and out of control kids running wild throughout the hotel. Hotel had the call the sherif on them for the 3rd time they I have stayed there.

Staff was awesome. I appreciated not having my room announced while checking in and how helpful everyone was. Rooms were great and I loved being able to stream from my phone to the TV to watch the shows I wanted to watch!

The customer service was horrible and the front desk lady was very very rude I didn't appreciate that if she is going to be in customer service maybe she needs more training and she told me that asking me for my driver's license was protocol I wasn't happy with her service

We were greeted by Heather she is so nice. She gave us information about places to see and eat at. We found the bedroom and bathroom clean with lots of light. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was good and the lady running it was very good keeping the trays full and the tables clean It had lots of stores and restaurants around. We will definitely stay here again. The only thing was the air conditioner made a very loud noise when on and an awful sound when it shut off.

This hotel is new and awesome. Everything is clean and nice. It's quiet and the bed is soft and comfortable. The place is well thought out and a wonderful stay - better than anywhere else we've stayed in the area. Definitely the right choice!

This place is super nice. Very clean. Good exercise room and pool. Has daily breakfast specials. Everything is clean and smells clean. Very modern. Very large rooms. If it were allowed a large family could stay in the room, if some don't mind sleeping on the floor. There's room for that!

This hotel is new (opened Nov 2022). Modern decor and clean. Loved the spacious room (2 queens), very large TV and walk-in shower. Lots of outlets and high-backed chair plus circular table w chair. If you are a business traveler, you could set up a laptop at the circular table as there is no formal desk. Mid-week price was decent considering this is high season for vacationers in MN.

We spent a quiet night here. The lady who registered us was super-friendly and hospitable. Very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good -- more than just a pile of sweet rolls and cereal. Extra points for fat-free milk and low-sodium vegetable juice. I would definitely stay here again.

Very nice, new hotel. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. Very good location, close to shops and eating areas. Couldn't ask to say at a better place. I will come back next time I'm in Grand Rapids.

Great new hotel and experience for our team! We were here for a sports tournament weekend with our team and families. The hotel is well laid out for groups, breakfast was great, and the staff was amazing. They were friendly and went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay. We'll be back!
