Resumen de la reserva
Very nice clean room. roomy with elbow space in bathroom. Friendly Staff. Comfortable clean bed or a good nights sleep. Worth it. Like any room, avoid above entrance doors and by elevator. Aside from that, I will book again if traveling through.
Wonderful hotel. Front desk staff was absolutely amazing. Young man working that night was a fellow motorcycle rider as are we. He allowed us to park under the awning since there was rain coming. Hotel offers breakfast as well which was an added bonus. Lots of variety. Loves truck stop across the street added to our cross country trip.
This stay was lovely! The staff were very nice, and the hotel was impeccably clean! We loved the hot breakfast as there was biscuits and gravy and fresh fruit available. The sofa bed bedding was already made! This was such a nice surprise and really allowed us to just be restful after a rocky travel the day before. This hotel is so wonderful for families, and again would recommend.
ac in the room didn't get the room comfortable even when set at 66 degrees, there was a nice peloton in the fitness center but the hot tub in the pics was filled in with concrete and was the reason i chose this hotel. the breakfast was never restocked and was out of yogurt fruit and other items every day, and the hot items were minimal and not good quality.
Our room was very clean. The person who checked us in was very helpful. You can see signs of hotel upgrades. Hopefully the upgrades will continue. Our room needed to have the carpet replaced. Ask for a room facing the back. It is a beautiful field facing west vs the front that faces a truck stop. Good value for the price.
The shower water just drizzled out the top and I still felt dirty when I got out, could barely even wet or rinse my hair enough. Breakfast: waffles were somehow bad tasting, my kids wouldn't eat them. Eggs were okay. Sausage ran out 45 minutes before breakfast closed. The breakfast room attendant was asked very politely if he could have some sausage and she told him no. That's ridiculous, all it is is frozen sausage, she could easily thaw it in the microwave for him. It wasn't even busy in the breakfast room, they just didn't put anywhere near enough food out. The pool was ICE COLD when we got in and we tried to swim and enjoy it but we couldn't, it was far too cold. The only reason we chose this hotel was for the pool. It was my son's birthday and he and my other kids had been on the road for THIRTEEN HOURS, excitedly waiting to swim at the hotel pool. The lady at the front desk KNEW we were so excited to swim because I asked her some pool questions when I made the walk-in reservation. Why didn't she TELL ME? And I had already brought all our car items to the room so there was NO WAY we were going to switch hotels. I asked her if she could at least give us a discount and she said she'd leave a note for the manager. Never heard back from the manager, sadly. When I told the front desk how cold the water was she said she didn't know, how do you not know that? I asked if the heater was broken and she said she wasn't sure if it had a heater. Huh? Then she explained to me how she liked to swim in glacier water so nothing really feels cold to her. Um, okay…. THAT was totally unhelpful and unsympathetic. Ugh.
The Best Western in Burlington, Colorado was a great place to stay. Everything from start to finish went well. The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. A hot and cold breakfast was included and the staff was there checking on everything.
Pretty good until breakfast. This was the first Best Western that everything worked. This was just an average hotel room with nothing special but OK. Until breakfast. Eggs tasted old, OJ was bad, a few slices of bread, no bakery items of any kind. Bad coffee, no decaffeinated coffee. We left the hotel to find a place in town. We found a great breakfast at the VFW. Had the best bacon ever. As to this Best Western - Never again!!
This hotel has the thinnest towels and bedding out of any hotel that we stayed up on our cross-country road trip. The hotel itself is pretty decor wise, but they do need to spend a little bit of money, upgrading things like towels. In addition they advertise as having a heated indoor pool, it's one of the things that they highlight in their description and it was one of the main reasons we picked this hotel over others. After driving for so long we thought a good swim would feel perfect, come to find out, the pool was closed. They did not say it on their website or in the app or even at check-in. We didn't find out until we got dressed for the pool, went downstairs and found a sign in the door that said closed. so that was very frustrating. When we have so many choices of where to stay, and we pick because of a listed amenity, those amenities should be in working order.
I've never seen more 'out of order' signs! Pool: Out of Order. Gym Equipment: Out of Order. Washing Machines: Out of Order. Pancake Machine: Out of Order. If so many amenities are unavailable, the management needs to let the guest know before they arrive so they can stay somewhere else if they'd like.
Everything was good except if you want good coffee and some tasteful food, go across the street to Pilot. The pancake machine wasn't working although the batter tasted good from the little nickel sized pieces that came out. We made our own waffles finally and got on our way. Has potential with a few changes. Otherwise, the hotel was clean, staff nice, room and bed comfortable. We would stay again since it was a good spot to stay overnight on our long trek out to Boulder.
So pleased with our stay here. Clean and comfortable. We were greeted by front desk lady, Noah, as if we were special guests. We saw her treat others checking in with the same friendliness...refreshing to be greeted that way after a long day in the car!
Talked to John the manager. He stated shower is ok and will not be making adjustments. About half the water going to tub is dumping into tub and not out the shower head. The bathtub waterspout needs to be replaced to allow all water coming from plumbing system to go to the shower head to wash the shampoo out of your hair efficiently.
We were greeted at the front desk by the sweetest hotel hostess ever. She was so competent and welcoming. Our room was lovely and we had a fabulous dinner down the street at The Dish Room. I will be highly recommending this Best Western, for sure.
I would have given 5 stars except our AC was not working properly. Loud grinding noises all night. Fan didn't run right. I did report it and all I got was I am sorry. No can “I get my manager” or resolution. Breakfast was the average fare but the gal running it was so helpful, cheerful and kind. Our room otherwise was very clean and updated. Internet is a bit sketchy. In and out at times.
We arrived quite later than planned after 12 hours on the road. The lobby coffee was fresh! Check in was easy and the staff was friendly. Our room was clean and cool, and the bed was comfortable. We needed the easy!
My husband and I stayed here last year and had a good experience so we stayed overnight this year. All was well again except they either got new mattresses or the room we had this time had a different type mattress because it was hard as a brick! It is a nice place and if U like hard beds U will be fine but we will have to stay somewhere else next summer.
Very friendly staff, amazing 24 hr espresso machine available, very clean rooms with comfortable beds, great breakfast selections, and a nice pool. The hot tub was not in service at the time, but that didn't bother us. Would definitely stay there again!
A glitch occurred during booking our trip and they billed us for a no show. Corporate also stood behind this person/manager……truly sad. I used to stay at a BW whenever I could….now they make Wyndham look good, lol.
Good for what it is. We were stopping for the night between St. Louis and Eagle, Co. Hotel is clean. People at check in were nice. Beds were comfortable. Break was suffice t. My only complaints were the pressure in the shower is weak and the worst fi is t great but overall I'd recommend.
Hotel was clean & staff were friendly. We got a suite with pull out couch; son said it wasn't comfortable, but are they ever comfortable?Parking was adequate. Pool was warm & clean. Hot tub was out of service & empty. Shower water pressure was very low. Typical hotel breakfast; eggs were cold & waited 15 mins for biscuits to go with biscuits & gravy, but the rest of the breakfast was ok. Overall, good stay for the price.
When we arrived around 11:40 pm on Thursday, June 15 there was nobody at the front desk. We waited, with our 9 year old child, for probably 5-6 minutes. I then called the hotel. Stood there in the lobby listening to the phone ring, got an automated message, pushed 0 for assistance and then it started ringing in the lobby again. I called a second time and the same thing happened. About that time a guy in a black Carrhart tshirt came through the front doors with a fast food bag and a drink, went around the counter and started checking us in as if nothing had happened. As if he hadn't left the hotel front counter completely unattended while guests waited and he left to get food at almost midnight. Not only was he dressed unprofessionally in a tshirt, but he left his job unattended. Surely, the hotel understands how unacceptable this is, especially for families who have been traveling all day and expect to come to a hotel, check in, and go to sleep.
This was an unplanned visit to Burlington due to severe winter weather. The facility and staff were excellent and a pleasant surprise. I make this trip several times a year but have never stayed here before. I will be sure not to hesitate in the future.
The Carousel Inn was a perfect place to stop for a night during a long drive across country. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was one of the best I've had at a Best Western Plus. Having both a waffle maker and a pancake maker, plus bagels was nice.
I spent two weeks here and was very happy with the accommodations. I loved that I could return to an indoor hot tub each day after work, and I was able to get breakfast before work each day which was great since there are not a lot of food options in the area. The staff, including the hotel owner were all super nice and very helpful.
We do NOT recommend this hotel. The bed was only marginally more comfortable than the floor and the bedsheets were rough. The bath tissue was comparable to sandpaper. The breakfast was skimpy and seemed like what you might get in a spaceship, i.e. freeze dried ersatz food.
The breakfast area is shaped like a Kiva and each station is separate which eliminates lines while someone in front is putting cream in their coffee or making a waffle, etc. Still following disinfecting procedures, while many places have fallen back into old habits. Food was good too
We stopped here on a business trip while moving to Colorado. It was my husband myself and my son. Thank goodness we did not bring our luggage in. We checked and went upstairs and went to bed due to the time that it was we were just using this to sleep And then get back on the road. We got up the next morning and I had bites all over my ankles and my hands. I went to the front desk immediately and showed them the bites, the front desk lady said “hold on just a minute“ and walked away from the desk. She went up to my room and entered the room that had a do not disturb sign on it where my son and my husband were still at. She did not knock she just open the door and her self and another person went right on it to the room. She then came back down to the front desk and told me that there were people in the room still and I said yes that's my son and my husband and she said oh I thought the room was empty. My husband came down after that and was pretty upset understandably due to no one knocking on the door and to random people just walking into our room. She then told me that there were no bugs in the room it could have been a flea that bit me all night long or possibly the flies because the flies in the area do bite. I am coming from Missouri, where we have horse flies that bite these are not fly bites. I also was not outside been bitten by flies. It is a couple days later now I still have the bites they are still very very itchy and very very irritating. Very upset that I paid $130 to stay in a room that I got eaten alive ends and I am now walking around scratching the crap out of my ankles and hands while trying to move into my new home and enjoy myself.
The hotel was very clean and it was a great value to stay here overnight. The breakfast room was pretty big and had many different items. The place also has a pool and fitness center. We would definitely stay here again.
This hotel is extremely clean, the staff is friendly, and the beds are comfy. Negatives were the pool was cold & the coffee is terrible. But there's a MCD down the street so it was fine. It's very easy to find & convenient for our trip from STL to CO Springs.
First of all, it's a Best Western and the chain isn't exactly known to be "premier". I don't mean that in a snobby way, but staying at these places usually means two things. One you are trying to save a bit of money and two your stuck with limited options. But the biggest issue is that it shouldn't matter, hotels can be kept up regardless of it's class rating. And this hotel for sure missed the mark on many aspects. The only positive was the check in staff. The guy working the front desk was friendly and made the process go smoothly. But after that everything started to go down hill. Below are the listed issues, I feel it's easiest to just toss them out. 1. The room smelled "stagnant", I am not sure if it was due to no one staying in it for awhile. But it made a few of us instantly get congested. So I don't know if it was mold / mildew or what. 2. We stayed partly due to the sofa couch so no one had to share a bed. However the pull out mattress was so bad it felt like laying on a chain link fence (from the springs). So we couldn't use it. 3. The shower faucet was turned sideways. I was able to straighten it but it stuck out of the wall several inches. Which means the water was pouring behind the wall. 4. Stains all over the place. Yellowed pillow cases, stains on the sheets, odd "marks" on some of the walls near the bed. 5. A lot of dust... which might've contributed to sinus problems. It looks like house keeping had skipped on it for awhile. If anyone has seen the show "another dirty room" you kind of get the idea. One of my kids kept quoting the show. Perhaps one of the only other positives (outside of the front desk) was leaving early. None of us slept well, so we ended up getting on the road early. Overall I will never stay in another Best Western. I probably should've known better from the start. But I figured the hotel isn't that old, and the reviews here have been pretty positive so I might as well give it a shot. Side Note: I stopped in on the way to Colorado like most. The options for places in the area are limited. But this place soured me so much I drove 13 hours straight to get home.
For a new hotel, the shower head performed like an older calcium clogged faucet. Did the shampoo get mixed up with the body wash? No foam. The worst was finding a WET towel, face towel & washcloth on the rack with additional smeared makeup. Big disappointment and certainly not worth the $$$ expected or the name on the sign.
This hotel was the nicest place we stayed on our trip across the USA. Very clean and quiet. Beds were comfortable and breakfast was amazing Very well done! Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful We have been VERY disappointed in several of the hotel/motels we've stayed at on this trip as they have just not been clean or efficient/friendly but not this one
Have stayed here twice and it is nice, would stay again. This BW have the BEST tv channels of any place. The rooms are large and all staff were helpful and caring. None of the BW in Colorado recognize my level, thanked me for being that, and did not give me the complimentary water; sometimes I like that because I am out.
This place is excellent -- rooms are super clean & new. There is a well equipped exercise room with an indoor pool. Staff at the desk were pleasant & helpful. The breakfast room was spacious and food stations separated nicely. First rate experience from start to finish!!
Great young man at the desk. He knew how to handle my gift card (that was a plus). He directed us to a place to eat after a long day. Short stay but very pleasant! Seemed to be pretty busy on a Saturday evening.
I enjoyed the room, but it was situated above the automatic front doors and was quite noisy. I kept the A/C on the whole time, but it didn't quite drown out the constant, intermittent noise. Please warn folks about the king suite, room 203. This room is adjacent to both the only elevator in the building and the floor's ice machine and directly above the front door. Also, there was a cleaning product smell in the room that was overpowering in the beginning, but slowly subsided as the stay progressed. The pool was nice, full of loud children, but that's nothing new. The breakfast in
We arrived at the facility and receptionist greeted us, then processed us to gain access to our room. We had a good night sleep, got up in the morning and had a breakfast. We checked out without any problems, a good stay.
the front host and hostess very helpful, I was having trouble with my computer to reserve a room for the next night, Both the host and hostess were very pleasant and helpful, They helped me reserve the next two nights on our trip. The room was clean, bed very comfortable. I just can not say enough about the host and hostess
I was supposed to stay on January 2nd, 2022. My travels were taking me east from UT through the Rockies, which ended up getting shut down with snow over the pass near the Eisenhower tunnel. When being notified that we couldn't get through and had to divert south, I contacted the hotel to explain the situation, knowing I was within the 24 hour cancellation window but hoping for an exception because the cancellation was out of my control. Management has been unwilling to show any leniency and took my full payment instead, saying they didn't experience inclement weather in Burlington, that I knew the cancellation policy, and that I had booked through a third party, not acknowledging that my shut down was several hundred miles away. This is clearly a case of this hotel not caring about retaining any sort of business and in my mind is borderline unethical business practice. I would not recommend staying here if there is any possibility of an emergency or uncontrollable reason that will prevent you from making your stay.
We checked in this evening and the parking lot was covered in snow. I asked the clerk when it had snowed. He replied last night. I asked why the parking lot hadn't been plowed since. He said "because we had semi-trailers in the lot this morning." So I suggested that the lot should have been plowed by now since it was dangerous for guests to try to tromp through the snow to get from their car to the entrance. I said, "it would be a problem if someone slipped and fell." He replied, "that's why we have liability insurance." I incredulously asked, "so you don't care if someone gets hurt in your parking lot because you have liability insurance?!" His reply: "I'm NOT going to have this conversation with you!" Wow. Just wow.
Only recently did I recognize Best Western as a desirable hotel and I have not been disappointed, especially with this Best Western in Burlington, CO. Everything was clean and comfortable and every single member of the staff whom I met was very pleasant, friendly and helpful.
Exactly what you need for an overnight stop conveniently located off the Interstate. Clean and quiet with a decent breakfast. There's a pool and exercise facility but we did not have time to utilize either. No complaints.
Best western are our go to hotels. This is a very nice property. The hot breakfast was a plus. The young man at the desk when I called and when we checked in was extremely pleasant and helpful. We had a pizza delivered since it was late when we arrived and it was really easy.
I highly recommend the Best Western chain for your travels. For several years during retirement with 3 Yorkies and a husband the brand is great. The rooms have been cleaned, nice atmosphere, and I have a feeling of safety and caring.
Upon arrival, the clerk was friendly, courteous & helpful. The room was surprisingly larger than expected, clean & well appointed. Good bed, slept well. Breakfast was surprisingly tasty. Very pleased with the whole experience.
We stayed here for one night, based on the pet friendly policy, and the location right off I-70. The hotel was clean; staff friendly. Breakfast was great - COVID precautions are in place, with staff in face masks, and gloves for guests to wear. The tip bowl was not necessary, and a bit off-putting. Our king room was clean and comfortable - we could hear some sounds from above, but slept well. The bathroom shower pressure isn't great, but it was good enough for a quick shower. Overall price seemed a little high for what it was.
Great stay here. Hotel nicely upgraded with spacious rooms. Accommodated our pet and had an extensive hot breakfast with hard boiled eggs, scrambled eggs and mini omelettes, muffins, toast and bagels. Well done. Would definitely stay here again.
This is a new BW Plus in Burlington, Co. Is a very nice hotel. Friendly staff. Super clean. We have a very comfortable night here. Fresh and new is always good. Will stay here again if in the area. We were passing through on our way home from visiting friends in Loveland area. Super nice hotel.
Dog hair all over the carpet. Check in was very slow. My daughter left her charger fir phone in room and when she went back front desk person was very rude and didn't even want to go look and see if it was in the room because she was goung on a smoke break. Very unprofessional.
Good motel, about 2 1/2 hours east of Denver. Nice pool, nice Best Western breakfast, good and friendly service, close to I-70. Only downside isn't really the hotel's fault, which is that it was really hard to find a non-fast food place for dinner in Burlington on a July Sunday evening after 6 p.m.
My husband and I stopped for the night on our recent vacation. This hotel exceeded our expectations and we loved it! It was so so clean and well maintained. We will definitely pick this hotel when in the area again.
We had no trouble finding this hotel. We were a tad early for check in but our room was ready. The lady at the desk was friendly. Our room was comfy, the AC was going and we didn't hear noise from neighbors. Thy recommended the Kit Carson County Carousel and that was a highlight of our day.
Lovely surprise to have a sense of normalcy at a hotel. While cleanliness and CDC guidelines were followed, they managed to make our stay feel normal. Hot breakfast, comfy beds, attentive and courteous staff.
The room & entire hotel was very clean. Very nice young man at check-in. They had a good breakfast, better than most hotels these days. Very friendly staff. There was no hair dryer in the bathroom, but I don't usually need one anyway. Some reviews have complained about the "smell". Yes, it's in the middle of cattle country & there is a feedlot nearby. No smell inside the hotel. I would recommend this hotel.
I'm never positive what I'll get with a Best Western. This one is phenomenal! The hotel is on par with Marriott. The rooms are clean, the hotel is clean. Everything worked. The location is across from a Love's, but I didn't hear the trucks unless the window was open. Also - the window opened! Fresh air is always a plus. This is a great place to stay outside of Denver, close to I-70. Heading East - you miss all traffic in the morning.
First all the smell of the place when you walked in smelled like a cattle lot. I grew up on a farm and I recognized the smell. Clerk was more than nice but could not help the odor. Light bulb in room was burned out which should have been checked by maid and changed. There were no towel racks on which to hang towels, no body lotion or laundry bag. I am with the person who said AAA has never checked this hotel out nor have the people who rate this a Best Western Plus.
We booked a stay here for one night on May 28,2021 through our AAA membership as a Triple Diamond hotel. Am not sure they have ever been there or how they rate? When we arrived the area smelled like a stockyard and all who were checking in were holding their noses.(should have taken the hint to leave)The canine population staying there was like staying in a an animal shelter with barking all night long. The walls are so paper thin you could hear what seemed like every male in the place "making bubbles" all night even while trying to sleep The refrigerator did not work and neither did the shower or tub drain. We have definitely decided to NEVER stay at this "Worst Western' again.
1st thing is we always try to stay at the Best Western chain because of the quality and this one didn't disappoint...but...the ac in our room drove us nuts!! We like it cold at night and at 65°, the ac would stop working and we had to get up, turn it off and restart. It would get really stuffy and thus every hour throughout the night we'd wake up. Thus, not getting a good night's sleep. Jennifer was at the front desk when we checked in and was such a pleasure hearing her Texas accent. Breakfast was good and boy did the staff follow extremely high Covid guidelines when it came to eating. We honestly thought it was overly ridiculous and hated that part especially since we're all fully vaccinated and from Oklahoma which doesn't have as near these rules.
-12 wind chill and we checked in late, but the room was nice and warm, quiet, internet worked great, not much more i need to add, other than fluff because you want a minimum of 200 characters. so, im almost there
This hotel offered a great room with lots of space. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. It had a microwave and fridge as well. I would have given it 5 stars but the shower did not work right and it was difficult to get it dialed in so that there was enough hot water. I'm giving them a pass on their Covid safe bagged breakfast to go. As others have said it was a danish, Sunny D, and green banana. They could have just saved that and charged me less for the room. The front desk staff were good. I would stay here again.
Positives: Very quiet hotel! Access to the interstate was a plus along with the convenience of Loves across the street. Areas for Improvement: Microwave had previous guest's leftover pizza inside. Pillows had long, dark black hairs on them. Housekeeping needs more attention to detail.
This hotel was lovely and clean. Liked the decor but breakfast ruined it for us. Breakfast in a bag with prepackaged cinnamon roll and sunny D- both of these are awful in our opinion and we did not partake. There was also a green banana. Not even a hard boiled egg included. I don't remember if there was any yoghurt as I don't eat yoghurt.
on way to southern Colorado. easy to find. looks like a new construction .helpful staff. grab and go breakfast only option because of Covid.. yes would stay again would stay again across from convience store and fuel.
Great location. After driving 12 hours on the road, I asked for a quiet room. Got to our room and it was very clean but hot. Turned on ac and jumped in the shower. Shower pressure was pathetic. Shower head was full of calcium build-up or super old. Either way, a drinking fountain has more water pressure. A 10 minute shower turned into 25 minutes just to get all the soap off. Arrived at 9pm and room didn't cool off until midnight. I know it was midnight because of all the noise from slamming doors and people running up and down the hall. Probably got 4 hours sleep total. In the morning talked to front desk about our experience and the girl working could care less. We do a lot of road trips and always try to stay at Best Western and this stay is among the worse and such a waste of money! Arrived exhausted and left even more exhausted!
Drove through on the way to RMNP. It was close to the interstate and a moderate price and just 3 1/2 hours from Estes Park. Clean and comfortable bed, looking forward to grab and go breakfast in the morning.
Our company travels on business and will not stay here again! Gal at front desk has no knowledge of anything! She can answer phone that's it! She has no idea how to do anything beyond that! We had issues with our key cards every day not working and had to constantly go to front desk to get new cards and after working 10-11 hour physical jobs, we are tired and just want to be able to get into our rooms without having to constantly go to front desk! Booking reservations was a complete mess as well! We will not stay here again and we will not recommend this hotel! We have not had issues in other Best Western Hotels, just this one!
This is a nice hotel, but the dogs in the lobby were just too rowdy. Hotel staff were very polite and cared about COVID-19 precautions; grab and go breakfast was sunny delight, a packet of muffins and a banana; pool etc were closed.
Always the Best place to stay. Good price and always friendly staff. And love being a Gold member and all the points. Can't wait till the pools open and breakfast can be served. Best Western is the only place we stay.
Staff at check-in was exceptional. Great dinner recommendations. Room neat and clean. That totally met expectations. The wi-fi experience was mostly non-existing. We tried multiple times to login. I did get on with my computer - did not work for our iPads at all. The speed was so slow that it reminded me of what I might expect 15 years ago - SLOW. Other than that - good value for the room. No breakfast served at COVID times. There was a grab-and-go breakfast my husband could have. Those with gluten-free diets could only eat the banana and tang-like juice. I could just have the banana. Come prepared if you have breakfast dietary restrictions. Love that Colorado and Best Western are requiring masks upon entry and in public areas.
We were pleased with our stay at this property. The check in was flawless and we took the offered express check out. The room was large and clean. The staff all wore masks and there was sanitizer available. The towels were great for a chain hotel. The Grab and Go breakfast is a nice touch but seriously upgrade the pastry.
We stopped here for one night on our road trip out west. First, a heads up: If Burlington gets a fair amount of rain, this parking lot completely floods. We showed up right after a gully washer and had to wait about 30 min at the Love's across the street because we couldn't access the parking lot due to flooding. The hotel itself seemed overall clean and basic. I was disappointed though to see front desk staff not following the protocols listed here for COVID 19. The hotel states here on Trip Advisor that one of the protocols they are following is masks for all staff in public areas. None of the front desk associates we saw on the evening of July 2 or morning of July 3 were wearing masks or had masks anywhere in sight. We are in the middle of a global pandemic and I feel that's the least they could do. Besides that, everything about our stay was OK. They had paper bag breakfasts to go but we opted to just do a drive-thru McDonald's trip later on down the road instead for something hot.
The lodging quality & choices on I70 crossing the high plains can be challenging. We've tried several in each of the nearby cities & gave the BW a try this trip. It was fine. Nothing really “plus” about it but clean, surprisingly quiet, and we slept well. The entire town had a pungent farm smell which did seep into the rooms, but was gone the next morning.
Rooms were hot; A/C didn't run long enough to cool the room down before it would shut off. A lot of dead moths in the carpet (due to people opening windows to cool the rooms down). Overall, room was ok.
Very nice hotel with nice accommodations. Was very satisfied. Rooms were very clean, and it is very quiet, even with an almost packed hotel. Check in was very fast - maybe five minutes. No breakfast was served because of the Corona virus situation, but they did offer a grab and go bag with juice, a piece of fruit, and a muffin. Very satisfied with our stay!!
outstanding hotel, beautiful rooms friendly caring staff, and excellent hot breakfast including biscuits and gravy not like some of the lower tier hotels that advertise "free breakfast" and all you get is watered down apple juice and dry toast and jelly
Moving across country with two animals. What a treat to have such courteous help in a more stressful time. Very clean hotel right off the interstate. Very helpful with our needs. In addition, the truck stop had a fenced dog park across the street that helped burn off some of our dogs energy and helped us get a good night sleep!
My oldest son and I checked in a little after 0100 and asked to check out late. Night clerk said it would be no problem but the house keeper walked in our room at 0900 with no knock or anything. We had been on the road for over 16 hours. Really would of liked to sleep in a little later then 0900.
I travel frequently and have stayed at Best Westerns in several states. I choose them because they are usually decent and moderately priced. This was the nicest Best Western I've ever stayed at! The room was spacious, and very clean and comfortable. There was a fridge, microwave, and well-stocked coffee maker. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was quiet. They're also pet friendly. I would definitely stay there again!
Check in was easy. Comfortable accommodations. Staff was friendly. My family was able to relax and enjoy the workout area and pool while I did laundry. Check out was also easy. We will stay at this hotel again when we come back to the area.
Clean and safe hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I didnt have time for breakfast but it smelled wonderful! Only recommendation would be softer mattresses! Lots of restaurants in town that are easy to get to.
Can't do better for an included breakfast than an made to order omlett bar. For those weary travellers, there is a nice indoor pool and jacuzzi to relax after driving. The Assistant Manager is professional and friendly. Rates were reasonable in today's cost of hotels.
My wife and I stayed here after a long drive across Kansas. The motel is clean, quiet, and comfortable. The room was pleasant and the bed was comfortable. We had a good night's sleep. Breakfast in the morning was very good. There was a wide variety of options, including fresh made omelets. The staff was professional, polite, and helpful. We asked for a recommendation for a restaurant and were very satisfied with their suggestion. We highly recommend this Best Western motel.
Was pleasantly surprised to find this quality hotel in a little town, location was perfect for us, hotel is nice in appearance and clean, check was easy and found room to be clean and comfortable, tv and internet worked very well, breakfast was above par and very good, would recommend this hotel
I gave a 4 because we are Diamond members and one of the benefits is being upgraded. This wasn't an option here. Not sure why, Delicious breakfast, clean rooms! The bed was very comfortable, we had a very good sleep.
Check-in was great, but clerk did nothing to locate luggage carts for us and several other guests. Breakfast was good, just spread out along several walls. Beds provide a good nights rest. Check out was very fast.
Clean spacious pet friendly room. Great staff... Lots of grass for dogs. Hate that guests with dogs didn't clean up after their dogs. We do! Would definitely stay again. Oh there is a security deposit that will be refunded after checkout.. I can understand why they would do this!
The hotel was Convenient and clean and friendly hotel in Bulington colorado town close to Kansas and Nebraska. Easy On and off the highway. Close to restaurants and attractions awesome breakfast options including fresh omelets cooked to order
Rooms were clean with plenty of space. Breakfast includes small omelette bar. Fitness room was ok but small with broken equipment. Only room complaint was that shower is low pressure and not all that hot. Staff were very friendly and helpful both at front desk and in breakfast area. Also has small laundry facility. I would consider mattress pretty firm.
The Best Western Carousel Inn in Burlington, Colorado is a great place to stay. The location is conveniently off I-70, about 1 block south of the eastern exit in Burlington. The staff is friendly and welcoming. We have stayed their twice and each time the service and accommodations were very good. If you travel with your bikes, the hotel allows you to take them into your rooms if you are concerned about security – not that you need be at this inn, but we like to store our bikes inside when traveling. The hotel appears to be fairly new. The rooms are large and comfortable. We had a king bed both stays. On our first visit, the front desk clerk recommended the Dish Room Restaurant for dinner, which is a few blocks north of the hotel. We followed that advise and had a wonderful meal there. I have posted a separate review on that great restaurant and encourage visitors to give it a try. The hotel offers free breakfast in a nice dining area. Made to order omelets are included in the menu offerings. The room cost is very reasonable for the amenities offered by this hotel.
This a really nice hotel. The staff is helpful and friendly. The breakfast they serve can't be beat. There was a choice of many breakfast items: or just grab fruit. Something for everyone. A very nice stay on our trip west.
Newer building. Large king room, nice easy chair, clean, modern bathroom. Ashley at front desk friendly and efficient on check in and checkout. Made to order omelets, biscuits and gravy, sausage, scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, toast, cereal, fruit, muffins, sweet rolls, usual drinks.
This hotel was clean the staff was friendly and the rooms were nice size. However the bed was a little firm for me. The location is good if you are just traveling through (close to the highway) The nice touch at this hotel was at breakfast you can get a freshly made omelet along with all the other usual items.
No complaints. Check-in was quick & painless and the young man knew all the answers to our questions about what to do, where to eat and so on. Our king bedroom suite was clean, well stocked & comfortable. Great breakfast and we definitely would stay at again on our way to Denver!
We had a wonderful stay at this Best Western hotel--excellent facilities, conscientious staff, and an overall experience that was very worthwile. I hope to stay at Best Western hotels more in the future..
As usual, BW hits it out of the park!!! We really enjoy staying at Best Western!!!! The breakfasts are great and the staff work really hard to make it your stay great!! We always look to stay at a BW!! The no expiring points are really appreciated!!!
This is a newer property and it is lovely. The room, the lobby, the hallway, the breakfast area were all sparkling clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and efficient. I would definitely stay here again, and I highly recommend it.
We stayed for the night on Sunday, August 18, 2019. All staff we encountered were friendly and courteous. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good with a good selection of warm and cold items. Location is good for traveling on a road as it close to major highways.
We liked a lot about this place. The staff, both via telephone (Ahmed) and in person (two clerks whose names I did not get) were very pleasant but professional at the same time. The hotel was easy to find. The beds & bedding were comfy, the lighting was good, and there was a good selection of TV channels. It was good value for money. A few things: The cooling worked fine but had to be set lower than you'd think to get it to the right level; the water pressure in the bathroom sink and shower was low but OK; & there was a bit of a wet-dog smell to the room. We sprayed Febreze liberally twice and that helped, but it never quite went away, even with the AC running continuously. This might be because the hotel does accept pets, or perhaps the carpet needs cleaning, or - ? At any rate, we pretty much liked everything about the room except the faint smell.
Great experience. Staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. Great parking options for large vehicles. The breakfast was great and had very good options for everyone. Would definitely recommend to others.
We had to pull over due to a bad storm and as always I went to trip advisor and as always was not disappointed. My main thing when looking for a hotel is that it is clean and bug free. The best western was very clean and the front desk employees were very nice. It does have a pool and hot tub. It also had a very good breakfast.
Room was clean and comfortable but there was no air in the room when we arrived so it was very hot and smelled musty. Also wanted two queen beds but would only give us king (exact same price) even though the people behind us reserved a king room and could only get two queens. It really doesn't make sense when they could have traded rooms and made two people happy. So not really big on customer service.
We've stayed at this Best Western probably a dozen times. The room is always clean and cool when we walk in. The check in is super easy and quick and we have never had to ask for anything. I had a warm breakfast and was able to take fruit and juice to my wife.
Comfortable -- good stay -- outside smells like a feedlot, so only poor rating is location, Next to interstate, so was convenient for traveler. Good breakfast, but no dippitty eggs --thats right no dip pity eggs. Friendly staff, had a hot tub -- price a bit high for a quick stay, but that is subjective I suppose. Used my rewards points 24,000 of them.
Great hotel, clean, well kept rooms. We enjoyed the comfortable beds. Nice pool too. Breakfast was good - omelette station was a nice touch and they were diligent about keeping the dining area clean throughout the breakfast service. We would definitely stay here again.
Excellent Customer Service, Breakfast, very clean rooms, comfortable beds. We loved Best Western so much we became members. We have stayed at many different Best Westerns throughout the United States and employees have always been very courteous and helpful.
Arrived after midnight with a reservation to find a cheerful desk clerk waiting to assist us. Moved reserved room closer to dog walking area to accommodate our pets. Slept in a little late and breakfast was closing as we got there, dining room attendant invited us in anyway and we got breakfast and she fixed go cups of coffee for us and a leftover treat for our dogs, since she was cleaning up. Room was nice and large, pet area was also nice, and large. Great stay!
We were on a trip to the midwest and this location was a good stop for us time wise. Our room was clean, quiet and the staff was friendly. But the most impressive thing about this hotel was that the owner was in the breakfast room the next day greeting the guests, cleaning tables immediately and assisting wherever he could. He told us good bye and just went out of his way to make you feel warm and comfortable. I would stay there again if we cross that part of the country.
Stopped here late one night on the way to Colorado. Walls were thin and the AC didn't get super cold, but we were exhausted and slept fine. Decent breakfast. We were on the first floor which may have added to the noise. Clean hotel.
We spent the night here because it was right off of 70. I have yet to have a bad experience at Best Western. The staff was friendly and the room looked nice. They had a nice sized indoor pool with a hot tub and an outdoor patio for anybody looking to catch some sun. Breakfast included an omelet station and a great selection of pastries. The only flaws were popcorn kernels in the sofa bed (which was already made up) and a stain on the desk chair. The shower curtain also could have been a little bit longer. Overall, would definitely recommend.
This was a stop over one night on our way to the next place so we didn't get to use the pool or exercise area. Rooms and staff were fine. I can't wait until duvets are passed their fashion as I find it hard to find a comfortable temperature. Time to ditch the little shampoos and do a multi dispensary on the wall. Time to go as green as possible in the eating area. I do not like listening to TV news in the morning so always grateful when somebody has it on mute.
We stayed for one night on our long drive to Estes Park CO from mid Missouri. Our room was quiet, clean, and comfortable. Hot Breakfast with omelette bar if you like omelettes (we opted out as I don't care for them). Shower could have been a little better pressure but was still enough so not dropping rating for that as hotel was pretty full. One thing I did notice that I thought was nice was the remote was in a nice little "cover" and had been sanitized which a lot of hotels do not do. Having worked housekeeping before in a hotel, that was a nice touch. Great place to stay halfway to the Colorado Rockies!
We got in late and didn't have the opportunity to use the pool or exercise area, but were impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel. The breakfast was very good. We would definitely stay here again.
Only stayed one night after being on the road all day. Excellent hotel with great employees. The room was top notch and we got an excellent night of sleep. Breakfast was right on target and the well staffed. Couldn't have asked for more!!
The staff was very helpful booking us two connected rooms, one which was a handicap suite. The rooms were clean, modern, in great shape and quiet. This is our second visit and we will be returning. Make sure to go to the Carousel in Burlington for a fun ride that takes you back to your childhood!
I've stayed at this hotel for approximately six weeks. The rooms and carpet are dated, linens have frayed ends, housekeeping is inconsistent, little recognition for Elite guests, Internet is slow when the hotel is full, and the walls are paper thin making it hard to sleep. Breakfast is good and the omelets are a nice touch. I would stay across the street at the Fairfield if their Internet wasn't so bad.
Hot tub not working at arrival. Asked for compensation; told Manager would contact me w/ fair offer, so took rm. Asked for Mgr at checkout; "Unavailable; will call you today [Sunday, 9 Jun]." No call. Called motel MO, 10th, for Mgr. "Mgr off site; will call you today." No call. Called motel TU, 11th, same story: "Mgr off site; will definitely call you today." NO CALL until an hr ago today, WE, 12th. When I declined Mgr off of "bonus points towards future stay, h is final offer was <$10 credit back to my card (10% of bill before tax). AFTER I WAIT 72hrs?!! FORGET IT!! OTHER ISSUE: Although our ADA-Accessible rm was very satisfactory, it was at FAR END of hall away from elevator -- a LONG, UNNECESSARY trundle on crutches! :-(
Pest Western Plus Carousel Inn & Suites in Burlington, Colorado is about the halfway point along our route from Cheyenne to Kansas City. We were very pleased with our overnight experience there. The beds were fresh and comfortable and the rooms were furnished with attractive amenities. The WiFi was fast and free. The TV had lots of good chennels and local news as well. The guest rooms were very comfortable -- not too warm and not too cold. Breakfast was good and the breakfast staff was very personable and willing to prepare a fresh custom omlet on demand. Very nice overall experience.
Excellent place to stopover when traveling. This motel is clean, super comfortable, stylish—and most importantly, friendly! We would happily return if traveling this way in the future. Breakfast included and lots of choices. Pet friendly with rules so all travelers can enjoy their stay. We highly recommend this motel.
Love staying here. The breakfast is always awesome. Omelot bar is the best. Just need to keep an eye on your reward points. They deducted them when I made reservation and then again when I checked in.
We have stayed at this hotel specifically because of their pet friendly policy. I relocated from Alabama to Colorado for work. We have pets and this hotel was able to accommodate us when we relocated. I highly recommend them! Rooms are clean and reasonably priced. Will definitely recommend them to anyone coming through with pets or without as a great place to stay!
We were driving from AR to Breckenridge CO. Burlington CO was a great place to test our eyes for the night, 2 hours from Denver and 3.5 hours from Breckenridge. During our drive through Kansas we looked online to find a hotel to stay in. The other hotel was full so looking at pictures, this BW hotel looked new and when I called they had a room! It didn't disappoint! New, clean hotel right off of the freeway with a decent breakfast and a great price for our family of 4. I would stay again!
This hotel was wonderful! Excellent price. Clean rooms. Great breakfast that was included in the stay. It also has a nice pool and hot tub although we did not use them this time. We always make this hotel our stop on the way to our destination!
This hotel is clean & comfortable. Our room was spacious including the bathroom which was nicely updated. I like the counter over the fridge, it made for a easy clean up after my husband made coffee. The breakfast room was round & spacious. Breakfast was good with made to order omelets. The staff was very friendly. Will stay there again
Very new and clean. There was a person to cook egg omelets. Plus the other usual breakfast items. Every one was very friendly and helpful. My room was very new, clean, and quiet. Internet worked great.
Had an option to stay at the Fairfield across the street and saw the cool lit Best Western Plus and thought I'd give it a try. Staff was great!, room clean, bed was the best. Only problem was the wall was a bit thin between me and next door. Heard a couple carry on a conversation for quite some time. Still got a good night sleep regardless.
Nicely appointed motel just off the highway in Burlington. Breakfast a cut above the usual motel fare; we were offered omelets, which were tasty. No styrofoam plates, which earns this higher than average marks. Rooms were spacious and clean.
Every wondered home many times the lobby doors of a motel open throughout the evening? Or how about how many times the lobby doors of a motel open just for a family of 4 checking in @3:30am? Stay in room 203 and satisfy your curiosity, it happens to be just above said doors. What a waste of time & money.
This is a great hotel: clean, welcoming, with attention to the details throughout. It's definitely where we plan to stay when traveling again this way. They also designate some rooms as pet-friendly. I highly recommend this hotel.
My coworkers and I were quite impressed with how nice and clean this place is, the employees really take pride in maintaining thethe property. . The ladies at thre desk were extremely nice, we definitely will be back to this gem of eastern Colorado.
Desk Clerk was kind and knowledgeable. Very helpful. My husband is in a wheelchair and the accessible room was actually accessible. The breakfast was good. They had an omelette bar which made breakfast excellent. The cook was very nice.
This hotel is convenient to I-40 and staff was very friendly. We arrived late at night with a large group and our check in rep. offered the pool/hot tub to be left open so our teens could use it, which they did and said it was nice. The rooms were clean and spacious. The breakfast had made to order omlets and other variety of items. Overall great stay... with rewards points, best of all.
This was a very nice hotel & reasonably priced! Close to Zion National Park & much less expensive! Very nice town. Beds were comfortable. Sufficient outlets for tech plug ins. Nice bathroom with hot water. Breakfast was good standard fare but substantial.
Chose this hotel based on reviews and we were not disappointed. Check-in was quick & friendly, room on the 3rd floor was quite spacious with lots of space for our stuff. Bathroom was large and everything very clean. Just down the road are several restaurants which was convenient. Beds very comfortable and wi-fi good. Breakfast was good too, with the added plus of made-to-order eggs or omelets! We would definitely stay here again if in the area!
Nice town to stop overnight. The Carousel in is modern and clean. Check-in went smoothly and the staff guided us to a local steak restaurant and a carwash. The handicap room was adequate, however it was the furthest room from the entrance (go figure). Would stop here again.
Everything at this hotel is what you expect. Clean, and all things in place that you need when traveling. Nice amenities for the price. Helpful and courteous staff. It was an unexpected stop for us but felt at home in a Best Western kind of way!
This hotel was a great place to stay with a dog. Side exit available to take pet outside. Plenty of space to walk pet, also cleanup equipment available outside for pet. Location just off interstate. Check in fast and easy.
Upon walking in we didn't receive a friendly vibe - the woman at the front desk made us feel as if we were imposing upon her. The place is clean but feels "cold" in terms of atmosphere. Our remote didn't work and took multiple calls and trips to the front desk to resolve the situation. The location is great for I-70 travelers eager to "get through Kansas." Breakfast was a little more than the average interstate hotel offering. I wouldn't stay again based on the staff.
The hotel was clean and decorated well. The rooms were spacious and bathrooms done well. We are traveling on a road trip and this was a pleasant stop. The staff was extremely friendly and the town was what America 's background is made of. Stopped to eat that the Dish Room where the food was awesome and so was the staff. Then headed to the Midway Theater for a movie. Volunteers work there and I felt as though I was back in time. Great Stop meeting wonderful people.
Great hotel. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. They accommodated my little dog and were very kind. The breakfast bar was a little limited but the food that was there was delicious. The omelette bar was great!
We stopped for an overnight stay on our way to Colorado. The hotel was one of the cleanest 'chain' hotels we've stayed in. Room was spacious and bed was comfortable. Breakfast was very good with many options. I would definitely stay again.
The hotel was clean, the bed was a little too firm, but the a/c unit was either very noisey or had to be turned off..which was too quiet. Breakfast was good. Small omelette station, pastries, good coffee.
With Hurricane Florence bearing down on North Carolina, I decided I needed to get home so my wife would not have to ride out the storm by herself. So I left the house in Colorado and headed East. I was planning on making it further the first night but was getting tired so I stopped here. The night clerk could have used a little more personality, but he was pleasant enough and got me checked in quickly. The room and bathroom were clean and the towels were fluffy and not worn out. The bed slept well. Breakfast was I have come to expect from Best Western: very good. Scrambled eggs and sausage were on the buffet along with a verity of cereals and a waffle maker. Check out was quick and I was on my way again.
Overall, very nice. Check in was easy and the staff was friendly. Even though the breakfast room is noisy when full of people, I feel the offerings are better than most hotel breakfasts. The furnishings are updated and well kept. Nice, quiet location on the edge of town. The floor (ceiling) of the room above us squeaked when the people above us walked around.
Everything about our stay was first rate. Cleanliness, breakfast, room amenities included TV, AC, fridge, microwave. Nice mattresses, bedding, business room, exercise room. Friendly and helpful staff. Why don't nice modern hotels have towel racks? They encourage us to be 'green" and reuse our towels, but don't give us a convenient place to hang our used towels. Seems hypocritical to me.
This is one of the better Best Western's I've stayed in over the past 4 years. The 2-queen room was spacious. There was room to walk around and the bathroom was also of good size. The staff were very friendly. The breakfast was very good, This has been the only Best Western that had a "chef" making a personalized omelet. You select what you want in the omelet and the chef made it. A couple negatives were that the mini-fridge did not have a freezer section in which to put gel packs to refreeze after a long trip. This is a concern if you need to keep medications cold. The other area of concern was the bottles of shampoo and conditioner. The bottles are difficult to get the liquid out of and it takes some squeezing the bottles to get the shampoo and conditioner out. This may not be a problem for a younger person but older folks may experience some frustration with the bottles. Overall, a very stay and very nice rooms.
Great hotel with great staff!! The front desk staff go above and beyond for you and are very friendly. The breakfast is freshly cooked in front of you and was very good! The cleaning ladies were so sweet and very helpful too. They have a very nice pet area that you feel very safe taking the dogs out in. I highly suggest this hotel!!!
A pretty typical Best Western - they're reliably clean and comfortable, courteous staff, decent breakfast and internet service, overall always a safe bet. This was no exception. One thing I'd like to see is more variety of pillows - some competitors specifically provide (and label) both firm and soft pillows on beds, these all seemed to be pretty firm. Not bad, just not a lot of variety. I advised the front desk of a couple minor maintenance issues and it appeared they would get right on them. But, next time I need lodging in Burlington I'll be back.
This is the best hotel I've stayed at in a long time. Staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was good with lots of options. The pool was not overly large, but the kids enjoyed swimming in it.
Nice, clean pet friendly hotel. We stopped here for an overnight after leaving Denver. Parking is free. Sam checked us in and was nice. Lots of grassy areas to exercise your pet. Pool was nice. Good breakfast in the morning. Different items than your typical breakfast. Room was big. Not much else in this town.
The hotel was very nice and clean. They were also very accommodating as we had no reservation and got in at midnight. The location, while normally is not as nice as we normally like, was perfect for traveling. It is right off the highway and in front of a loves.
Our room was nice and was conveniently located near an exit as we are traveling with our dog. We did not take advantage of the free breakfast. The area is quiet and has a few eateries nearby. The only issue was the room above us must have had children that kept running until late and again early.
I always stay here on business when in the area. Rooms are very clean, staff is very friendly, rate is reasonable. Breakfast is better than most chains as you can get a fresh cooked omelet. Good location just off the interstate a bit.
Nice clean hotel. Breakfast was good and liked the hot options. Pool was closed when we visited. No explanation was given other than signs with pool and spa closed. Didn't really bother us. Overall experience was fine. Check in was smooth. Liked being on 3rd floor and it was very quiet.
Lovely hotel, nicely decorated and welcoming. They have rooms that accommodate 5 — perfect for families. The room is spacious, very clean, comfortable and with high ceilings and a very nice bathroom. Great breakfast included in the price. There was an omelette bar that looked good although we didn't try them. Would stay again.
This is a perfectly good Best Western. It has photos of carousel horses on the walls. It has a great pool. However, our favorite part of our overnight stay in Burlington was discovering the carousel the photos came from. It's a short drive away at the Kit Carson County Park. The real carousel is absolutely gorgeous, with stags and a mer-horse and all sorts of real and imaginary creatures. We found it after dark and would have loved to have been in town between 10 AM and 6 PM when it is open in the summer. Costs 25 cents to ride.
We stopped here on our way home from a road trip through Colorado with the kids. There was only a suite left, it was a nice size room. The room did have an order that was pretty bad, it took your breath away when you walked in every time. The pool is very small. The "hot breakfast" you pay extra for, was not good. There was not anything fresh. It was all processed and gross choices. We paid extra for a hot omelet bar that was not even fresh eggs. The other choice was a mcmuffin with a pre cooked frozen sausage patty and again processed egg. For the money I spent, other comparable hotels, have larger pools, better smelling rooms, and a free hot breakfast that is exactly the same as the up charge for this hot breakfast.
We tend to stay in Best Westerns frequently. This was just an overnight stay before heading into Kansas. The hotel appears pretty new. Room was clean, bathroom was modern and we all slept very well. Breakfast ended early (at 9), but that's our fault for rolling out of bed late.
Stayed here coming and going on a vacation trip to WY. Efficient and courteous check-in and check-out. Room (#211) was quiet, clean and very comfortable. Bed firm with decent linens. Breakfast includes a made-to-order omelet station. Very large breakfast room (about 12 tables), which was good as it was almost full between 7:30 and 8:00. They give you breakfast tickets to control non-guests taking advantage of a complimentary meal. A short distance off the interstate with ample parking. Exterior landscaping needs some attention as several of the rose bushes were dead/needed trimming and a lot of weeds growing. One elevator but wait time was short. Another reviewer said there were no decent restaurants in Burlington but we found The Dish Room an excellent choice. It's located a short distance from the hotel on the other side of the interchange. Would definitely recommend and return.
The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast area, variety including omelette station and server were awesome. Location is easy on and off i70. A/C worked great. Mattress was comfortable. Nice linens. The downside to the location is pitiful restaurant choices. They need a Chili's, etc.
We really like this hotel. It was very nice and had a better breakfast than must hotels. The outside of the hotel is very stylish and the rooms were spacious and clean. The breakfast room was one of the largest you will see on the road and you could get made to order omelettes which was a great addition to the typical hotel breakfast. There was no potato selection, and the staff was a little behind on refilling, but overall it was good. One major issue.......if you get in late the ONLY option for food is fast food, we could not find any restaurants open past 9.
We stayed at 4 places travelling from Nevada to Tennessee and this was the very best one. It was an oasis and provided good value. We would recommend it, if you will be in the general area. Thank you for housing us!
The hotel is really nice and in a good location off of the interstate.y only complaint would be the breakfast. You have to have tickets in order to get anything. Not a huge deal it's just not what we were used to at a Best Western.
Went out to visit with family, have stayed there one other time. This is a very nice place to stay and the employees are great. Don't have any complaint other than it is so far away, but do plan on staying there my next time out to Colorado.
My husband and I have not stayed at a Best Western Hotel for many years, having had a bad experience many, many years ago. After reading great reviews about this hotel, we took a chance. Wow! Even that word is not enough. Not only is the entire property immaculately clean, the staff is amazing. We checked in and the lovely lady behind the front desk looked at our reservation and told us that our room was selected because of my allergies. As much as I love furry friends, I am highly allergic. The fact that someone had read that I had allergies and acknowledged it, really made me feel special. After getting in our room, we noticed how "new" everything looked. We were convinced the hotel was less than a year old. Minutes later, the phone rang. It was the lovely reception lady calling to inquire if our room was ok, and making sure we were comfortable. I decided to ask her how old the hotel was. Six years old!!! This property is so well kept and incredibly clean. I would not do this review justice if I did not mention the free breakfast. They cook fresh omelets with your choice of ingredients, and all with a smile. And honestly, who has pears as a choice for fresh fruit? Awesome! It is every single one of these little, very nice touches that made us Best Western Plus fans again. Thank you Burlington BW!
Stayed just for one night - had a huge King suite fo a great price. The bedroom was separate to the living area so it would be perfect for a longer stay. The decor was modern too and it was all very clean. Quite a jazzy carpet in the corridor along with a fun choice in wall art. This hotel remains our place to stay when in Burlington.
Friendly, courteous staff. Very helpful with area advice. Complimentary breakfast was varied and good I would recommend Hampton Inns to anyone who is traveling..Don't be afraid to ask staff for advice, they are alway glad to help and promote their area.
Very nice hotel, great staff, very nice. Room was very clean, nice size TV, bed was to hard for my taste, and I like a firm bed, could yes a pillow top, breakfast was very go, with a cook ther to fix your eggs the was you would like. Will stay there again!
We were extremely pleased with our choice of this hotel during a trip from Kansas City to Denver. The hotel was bright and clean and the rooms were excellent. The breakfast was not only comprehensive, but there were also omelettes made to order. We plan to stay here when we return for the county fair (and the carousel) this summer.
Trip to kansas state to watch our daughter graduate with her masters, we stayed in 3 different hotels this was the very best! Look foward to bookong it on the return leg. The breakfast was wonderful!!
excellent hotel for the price!!! Staff is awesome, breakfast was good, and the rooms were very clean and quiet. The cable and internet service was great! I was in Burlington, Colorado on a business trip and the staff at BW made me feel like home.
Great friendly staff when I checked in and checked out. The appearance of the hotel interior was very modern and beautiful, very clean. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Highly Recommend.
Thanks for being dog friendly. The room was headband clean. The beds were comfortable and so were the pillows. There was plenty of parking spaces and room to walk the dogs. The front desk made great recommendations for dinner and have up helpful information about the area.
This was our second stay in Burlington, Colorado and a much better choice of stay. Staff was very friendly, room very clean and comfortable. We then ate at The Dish, and the restaurant did not disappoint us. This was also a recommendation from the hotel staff. We would stay there again. Glad we took a chance and found this place.
We stayed one night on our drive across CO and KS and were very pleasantly impressed by this hotel. The gentleman at check in could not have been more helpful. Rooms are clean and well-appointed, very much on the high end of roadside stops.
We had a great stay here and chose to return on out trip back from visiting Utah. So glad we found this great place to stay. Friendly staff and comfortable facility. Easy access to the interstate and the nearby town had a great dinner to have dinner at.
First BW East of Denver. Glad it was there. Ancdefghijklmnopqrsyuvwxyzabcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyzabcdefghijllmnopqtstubwxyzabcdefghijklmnopqrsyuvwxyzabcdefghijllmnopqrsyuvwxyzabcdefghijllmnopqrstuvwxyz.
We have not stayed in a Best Western for many, many years so I was pleasantly surprised when our drive across I70 brought us to this hotel in Burlington and I found it to be very nice and well appointed. When traveling with a pet, our hotel options are sometimes limited and this was the pet friendly hotel that came up in my search. It seems pretty new and is very clean. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Our King room was spacious and comfortable. There is a pet area complete with waste bags and can. We make this trip across I70 annually and I will not hesitate to book this hotel again!
This is a very nice Best Western, with an omelette station and all the breakfast usuals. Bed and room comfy. Beautiful spot in a town with a historic carousel, open Memorial Day to Labor Day. We would be happy to stay there again.
After a long drive from Texas it was so nice to find this beautiful hotel. We were greeted with a smile and a bottle of water . Even our dog received a treat. We found our room to be very large and clean . We all slept like babies in their comfortable beds . The have a made to order breakfast so weather you are in the mood for an omelette or waffles they will make them fresh just for you, complementary . I highly recommend this hotel for a wonderful stay
Great place for it to be literally located in the middle of NOWHERE rooms were updated, extremely clean and awesomely spacious. The customer service was so impressive from the front desk to the maids!
My husband and I were traveling to Kentucky as we are moving back to Colorado. We chose this BW location, as our in-between point. For being not far from the highway, there was absolutely no noise and the rooms were pretty sound-proof. No loud tv's could be heard and the decor was amazing. I'd definitely put this one at the top of my list!
Nice big clean rooms...very large bathroom! Very clean which is great! Fitness room was good...breakfast was ok..fresh omeletes is the big sell but if you want something other your choices are very limited. A very expensive room to get no sleep...i asked to be placed sonewhere quiet and was put on 3rd floor facing highway and truck stop...zero sleep! Won't be back!
I always get a great value here. The rooms are clean and the staff has always been professional and courteous Beds are comfortable, bathroom clean. I stay here at least six or seven times a year and have never had a bad experience
This is a good place to stop when travelling I-70, all was fine with the hotel, staff, room, breakfast, etc. My only complaint is that the a/c & heating unit is very noisy ... but you encounter this a lot because many facilities use those combined heating/cooling heat pumps in the wall below the window, and they are inherently noisy. Nevertheless I would choose this hotel over the others in same price range in that area.
This is one of the better Best Western's I've stayed in. The 2-queen room was spacious. There was room to walk round and the bathroom was also of good size. The staff, both front desk and housekeeping, were very friendly and made sure our stay was great. The breakfast was fantastic, They had an automatic pancake maker which required only the press of a button and catch the pancake when it came out the other end of the machine. To my recollection this has been the only Best Western that had a "chef" making a personalized omelet. You selected the what you wanted in the omelet and she made it. Overall, a great stay and very nice rooms.
Best service, clean facility but no water pressure for shower/bath. Also, bad breakfast. Limited hot food items with artificial, puffy, tasteless eggs and no choice of meat. Precooked, warm over items.
Very Nice Hotel. I didn't realize that the theme of it was actually due to the Famous Carousel in town near the fair grounds. The pictures/Art are from the Carousel. Right off the highway and easy to find.
While visiting family in Burlington for Thanksgiving, we decided to choose the Best Western because they provided a continental breakfast, had a gym and they also have an indoor pool. Much to our surprise when we got to our room, they had a mini counter with a microwave and fridge. The room was clean and updated and very spacious! We were able to meet some of our family members down at the pool to enjoy the Jacuzzi and watch the kids go swimming. The next morning I got up and went to the gym room, I like to work out even when on vacation. It is too bad they didn't have a few free weights, but that didn't stop me from getting in a good workout. All in all, it was a very relaxing and enjoyable stay!
My wife and I enjoyed our stay and felt that this hotel is a good value for the cost. The facility was clean. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was a treat with a lady cooking omelettes to order. Check in and out went easily. The staff members were friendly and quite accommodating.
My family of 5 have made many stops from here through most of Kansas on I70. This hotel is one of the best stops we have made. Rooms are clean and updated. Two queen beds with a sofa bed fits our family perfectly. Breakfast is always a plus, and really excites my kids. The rooms here are nicer than many Marriott brands we have stayed in. We will be back!
Everything about our stay was great. The staff was friendly, helpful and upbeat. The appearance and cleanliness of the entire facility were top notch. The breakfast selection and quality of the food were the best we've ever experienced.
Great little hotel with outstanding staff. I stay in various hotels around the country and while it is not a resort it never-the-less is a great place to stay if you are in Eastern Colorado. I can't really offer any improvements.
From check in to check out everything was great. Nice beds, very clean, reasonably fast internet. The hotel is located very near a truck stop which added some noise but overall this property was very nice and I would definitely stay here again.
Very comfortable and updated hotel. I had a conference in Burlington and it was easy to access the town from the hotel. The breakfast included omelets and a variety of choices. The printer for guests wasn't working and the front desk staff came to my rescue. They went out of their way to print the document from the front desk printer. I was very grateful since there are no places in Burlington such as a Kinkos.
Good breakfast, friendly staff, big parking lot for my moving truck and a trailer. The view of the farm from my room was bringing back some old memories. It may seem like in the middle of nowhere but it felt like a safe area.
We found this to be a quiet location, far enough off the highway to not hear road noise and trucks coming in to truck stop. Beds were comfortable, room was clean, TV offers good channel selection and internet was decent. Breakfast areas were well laid out. Would definitely opt to stay here again if we going this way.
Our family has stayed at this hotel 2 times and we plan to stay again each year for our Hunting trip. The hotel is clean, the rooms are clean, the pool is great, the staff is friendly and the breakfast is a huge plus.
This is one of the nicest mid-level hotels I've ever experienced. It's clean & well-maintained, & the rooms are gorgeous: beautifully decorated, with a decent desk area & comfortable reading chair (with a light; why do so many hotels think none of us read?!). The bed was very comfortable if not actually cushy, with lots of pillows & a bolster. The TV was sharp & worked perfectly, & I greatly appreciated the non-commercial movie channels! Great heat & AC, with a continuous fan option. The bathroom, with faux granite counters & tub-surround, was excellent, with a comfortable tub & especially good showerhead. Nice heavy towels, wonderful hot water. Breakfast was a cut above, with (processed) scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits... & a nice woman who made omelets to order! Lots of the usual white pastries etc, & instant oatmeal with topping choices. Decent coffee. There's a small, grassy "yard" outside for dog-walking (clean up after your pet!) &, so far, this hotel is surrounded by corn & sorghum fields so it's quiet & peaceful. Two minor complaints: We were on the ground floor & sure heard the folks walking around above us. And I always balk at paying $20 for my little dog, who's far cleaner, quieter & better-behaved than the kids we saw screeching down & trashing the halls. Still, I will absolutely stay in this particular BWPlus next time I pass thru this area.
A brand new hotel that is a welcome oasis on the Colorado high plains. Well managed with friendly, helpful staff. The bldg. was quiet, despite a howling winter wind outside. Breakfast was fast, friendly and wide selection. I really can't believe I feel like I'm back in high school, having to write a paper with a minimum number of words, so I'm filling the rest of my already positive review with a little humor! Maybe future clients will appreciate the fact that I can't submit this review until I've written 200 words. OMG!
The manager should be fired. The power went out and the hotel manager refused to give 4 waters out of the cooler when there were no cold drinks in the breakfast area. Talk about HORRIBLE customer service!!! We were the ones paying for the hotel without power and they were completely unwilling to try to accommodate for the inconvenience.
This is a very nice hotel. We stayed here two years ago and were very happy with our stay. I'm glad to say our second stay was just as good. The price is great, the room is great and the breakfast is great. We highly recommend this property.
We had a nice clean room, slept well, and had a good breakfast. A nice fridge and microwave too. I do think we were under someone in a pet room with a dog who was up in the middle of the night but everything else was wonderful!
The desk clerk at check in was wonderful & did everything she could to make sure our stay was comfortable. The hotel was immaculate from room to pool etc. The breakfast had plenty of choices with the hot menu including biscuits & gravy, scrambled eggs, omlets, pancakes etc. The breakfast was the perfect start to continuing our trip. Thank You to the staff of the Carousel Inn!!
We enjoy staying at Best Western Hotels but this one was below par and not Plus Best western. No Shampoo, No Tissue, No Juice at Breakfast, No Service at front Desk, Staff would not listen to my suggestions to fix a problem. The juice machine had a kink in the water line and the machine was not working properly I pointed out the solution no it's not was the reply and vitally told to back off and shut up. My wife made the booking on line which she thought was via Best Western website sadly to learn that it was a clone look a like website that charged $39 in taxes and charges, be careful when booking on line, Best Western should stop these clone look a like websites that rip people off, it'll hurt there business.
Very comfortable, clean, quiet, well appointed big rooms. Very nice breakfast with made to order omelettes. Front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. Helped with restaurant recommendation that was spot on. Stayed here two years ago and will always stay here when passing through in the future. We always travel with our dog and this is a pet friendly hotel, just $20 extra for the dog which is about average from my experience. Major gas station across the street and restaurants nearby.
This was a very comfortable and cozy place to stay. We enjoyed a very nice dinner at a local establishment and would love to stay here again on our next trip west. The service was excellent and the beds were very comfortable. This was the 2nd night of an 8-day adventure and my sister & I found we wished we had booked into more Best Westerns than we did. Overall nice place to stay.
Everything about this BW was excellent! The receptionist sent us to her favorite restaurant. The room was clean and quiet. There was a woman making omelettes for breakfast. I doubt we will be going that way again, but if we do we will plan our trip to spend a night there!
very comfortable, quiet, clean and on top of that a friendly helpful staff . Nice breakfast choices . My wife is physically challenged and they couldn't do enough to help her. I'll stop again on the next trip
After a long day of driving, with no hotel booked, I had doubts about pulling into this BW because of the drab exterior. The warmth of the large central fireplace in the lobby and the friendly staff was a pleasant surprise. The room was clean and comfortable. I would stay here again if I am in the area.
The hotel is nice. The beds in our room were hard! It felt like the pillow top had been cut off. The pool and hot tub area was nice. The location of the hotel off of the highway was great! It was slightly secluded so it was quiet. The breakfast service was good. It was nice to have made to order eggs. Improve the beds and it will be a great hotel!
BW hotels are dependable to provide certain amenities and features. Our stay was met with those expectations. The lacking was available full vending on all floors, which seams to be a trend in the industry.
We needed a stop just a bit past Denver and this was perfect -- great room, great service! Very clean and comfortable and dog accommodating! The service was friendly and helpful - from the reservation to the consideration they gave to giving us a room that was convenient for our specific needs. This will stay on our list!
We were exhausted and Best Western came thru with Great Beds, Jacuzzi, Swimming pool, relaxed with TV and fantastic breakfast! Will remember Burlington next road trip. Or we called it staying at Uncle Wes Bestern's.
Stayed here overnight while driving to Kansas City. The room was modern and up-to-date with new furnishings refrigerator flat screen TV. Wi-Fi worked very well. I especially liked the clean fresh linens and towels. The shower and bathroom area were squeaky clean with granite tops. The breakfast was exceptional. We stayed on the third floor and enjoyed the quiet evening. Highly recommended and would return again.
This hotel was super nice clean and the service was by far some of the best I have ever experienced. If Patty is working the front desk you might as well think you are walking in to your own family's home. The hotel staff are all excellent. From breakfast to cleaning service they are all supper nice and make you welcome
Very nice motel. Clean rooms, comfy bed, and friendly staff. Great breakfast! Would definitely stay here again. Recommended a very good restaurant to eat at and were not disappointed. Also had good wifi
Stayed at this hotel while traveling to Loveland. It was clean, welcoming and a quiet place to stay. Breakfast was good. We would recommend staying here. We would stay there again should we go through that area again.
Great location and nice grassy area to walk your pets! The staff was super friendly and the hotel is newer with refreshing open and airy decor. Nice pool, lobby and the bed was super comfy. Highly recommend. Enjoy!
It's a good hotel for an overnight stay. The breakfast was wonderful and the rooms were nice. I found the beds to be a bit too firm, but I really didn't like the pillows. There were 5 small square pillows on the bed. I found the pillows uncomfortable to sleep on and all I really wanted was one regular-sized pillow. They didn't even have an option of soft or firm. Other than the pillows, it was a nice hotel and a nice stay.
This property was more than adequate...very clean and well maintained. The staff is friendly and welcoming. I was more than satisfied with the breakfast offering and the in room wifi was as good as you can expect when dozens of other people are using the same wifi. Comfortable rooms...a good rest....everything I expected
Convenient location right off of I-70, reasonably priced, efficient staff, comfortable room and bed, dogs allowed, close to restaurants, and fantastic breakfast with omelets made to order! We will stay here again when traveling this way.
Very good hotel. Great breakfast w/ omelets made to order. Owner was helping with breakfast and was extremely appreciative to everyone staying there. Did not feel like a number here at all. No complaints at all.
A great room and great amenities. Pool was nice and hot tub was great! Breakfast was very good with fresh made omelets. Would definently stay here again. Location was close to I70 and easy access. Very spacious rooms!
Our family (two adults and one child) stayed in room 220 in early August 2017. Front desk staff team members at check in and check out were polite and quick. The room was comfortable and clean. Nice selection of television channels. A complimentary breakfast was included in the room price and if desired the guest can have an omelet custom cooked! The property is conveniently located across from a Love's convenience store and is just south of I-70. Will stay here again when in the area.
Wow. We've travelled all over the world and must say the service, hotel, staff, breakfast all 5 star. Amazing staff! Patty was on site to check us in and was exceptionally helpful and nice. Morning staff for breakfast made fresh omelets, kept the dining area super tidy and restocked. EXCELLENT! EXCELLENT! EXCELLENT! Ps. Pets welcome too!
Traveling back home from Colorado decided to stay overnight here. Motel had a nice look, clean and turned out to be a great place, clean and we had a comfortable stay. Staff was caring. Check in and out was quick.
Nice clean, comfortable motel with a great breakfast and plenty of nearby restaurants near quiet countryside, but close to interstate. Well worth the money. Owners are obviously proud of their motel and pay attention to their visitors.
Hotel was very clean and the staff is very helpful. Great selection of breakfast items. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Room has everything you need and the beds are very comfortable. Great location.
Hotel was great, my kiddos liked the pool, rooms was very clean. Breakfast was awesome because had a made to order omelet griddle set up for guests. The one food employee was great especially since there was a naggy "proclaimed Christian" complaining about the milk the entire time while she let her kid run around yelling.
This is just the place we were looking for. It is a new property and is very well managed and maintained in Every way you can imagine. Very clean throughout the entire property. Very professional and friendly and accommodating. Very nice breakfast program. We recommend you stay here. I hope our next stop on the interstate will be an experience similar to this one.
Very nice rooms, and a quiet hotel. Everything seems very new. The fitness room and pool/hot tub is nice as well, with the exception of the strong smell of manure coming in from the fields outside! Nothing the hotel could do about this, but be aware that you are staying in the middle of a field, and there may be smells!
This is a great place to stay. Staff was helpful and pleasant. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was typical hotel food. There was someone who made omelets to order. I will definitely recommend this one and stay there in the future.
We had a very good stay at this hotel. right off the interstate I 70. it's very modern, very clean friendly staff and a home-cooked breakfast. For a nice quiet room face the back of the hotel and the highest floor.
There is not enough parking and breakfast area is too small for the amount of people that use it. Otherwise a decent hotel for the price. Got a suite and didn't care the for setup too much. There should have been a tv for both the sitting area and the sleeping area. The lighting was poor in the restroom/sink area. Most of the staff was very friendly and helpful.
Safe, comfortable, reasonably priced. Moving from east coast to west coast...just an overnight stop on the way. Would definitely recommend and would stay again. Great breakfast...omelette station and the standard hotel breakfast fare.
We were here only one night, but it is a great place to stay if you are on I-70 going between Kansas and Colorado. It was clean and modern, easy to access, and the pool and hot tub were great for my 14-year-old grandchildren. The breakfast was also top notch, including a little pancake maker and omelets to order.
We stayed here over night on our yearly vacation. The building seems to be a new build. Very clean in and out. It is located right off I-70. There is a truck stop across the street from the hotel. So my only suggestion would be to get a room on the back side of the hotel if you don't want to hear any trucks coming in and out. The room was very nice. Wifi was great. Very clean room. Nice lobby with a pantry. Very convenient. The staff was friendly. Breakfast in the morning was awesome. They had someone that would make you homemade omelets. Really nothing I can think of that was really bad. I would return to stay here.
need to invest in better carpet and padding so you don't hear the people above you. walls to thin could hear them talking. bottom floor should be for families with children..should have milk on hand.coffee and creamer should be on hand.
We stayed here for an overnight stop on a long road trip. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, there was no problem with noise, and it was priced fairly. The kids utilized the pool which was also nice and clean, plenty of towels. We were not able to stay for breakfast the next morning because we needed to get a really early start but it sounded really good, made to order omelets and such were going to be served. If we are ever in the area again, we would definitely stay here.
We only stayed one night. We were coming from western Colorado and we stayed in Burlington for the night. On the last 4-5 miles we ran into a terrible rain storm and managed to stay about 5 minutes ahead of it. We got to the hotel, pulled under the overhang. My husband jumped out to register and the winds were blowing dust and branches, etc. all around us. The car was rocking! As I sat in the car the automatic retractable doors of the hotel blew off the tracks and folded into each other -headed for our car. My husband and another man got them back on except for one. The lady at the front desk came out and said the Maintenance man was coming and she would stand outside [in the wind and dust] holding the door to avoid anyone getting injured or cars getting damaged! The maintenance man arrived 2 minutes later and got them back on. She came over to the desk and apologized for all the delays and such. It was unbelievable! The room was very clean, comfortable and when the storm stopped she recommended a dinner place. The next morning we had an awesome breakfast at the hotel! Made-to-order omelets, pancakes, bagels. It was great. Wonderful service and people. We were grateful to have been safe but also have stayed in such a nice place!
The Best Western Motel at Burlington, Co., is a very nice place to stay. The motel was easy to locate and had good parking. The registration staff were extremely courteous and helpful,. We enjoyed a nice breakfast with the standard fare well organized. It was a very quiet and comfortable place to spend the night.
We were looking for the best place for an overnighter in Burlington and I think we found it. Room was clean, spacious and modern with a great fridge and microwave. It's right off of I-70 but you don't hear any road noise. Front desk is great. Breakfast includes made to order omelets and 'automatic' pancakes.
The hotel staff were friendly and pleasant upon check in and check out. The parking lot of the hotel was clean and well lit. The hotel lobby was clean and inviting and so was our room. The beds were comfortable!
They recently had remodeling done to this hotel, and it looks really nice!!! Very friendly staff! Great value for an overnight stay on our road trip. Will come back next time we drive through this area!
Receive the government rate for the family stay as part of our move. Front desk was very helpful, rooms were clean attractive and comfortable. Paul was a nice relief from the road trip, and the Jacuzzi was excellent. Breakfast was tasty and staff extremely friendly. The only issue was that the coffee was put away after breakfast so we could not take a cup on the road
google mapped a hotel for the night and stay and BW it was a new, clean, nice hotel. The breakfast was made to order. Used the pool and fitness center. all very nice. Staff was happy to help me. My wife give it her approval as well.
The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly! We got a great night's sleep in a room that was quiet and comfortable. The pool was also very nice. It was a good temperature for swimming and was clean.
The staff here is excellent! Friendly and helpful without being over the top. The made-to-order breakfast omelets are a definite treat! Easy to find as it's right off the highway and close to gas station, convenience store and several good restaurants.
A little expensive for basic hotel but nice and clean and quiet. The smell of the town is very overwhelming. My car smelled like cows for 24 hours after leaving. The breakfast was good but required a coupon. All the room rates were the same so why the coupon?
Tonight, I found myself at the Best Western Plus in Burlington. Our room here was as nice, if not nicer, than the much higher priced Embassy Suites I had stayed at the night before. I'm super picky, but this room is amazing. The decor is beautiful and super clean! But what made this stay even better was Patty at the front desk. She is so friendly and helpful; her customer service skills are second-to-none. She deserves a raise! If I'm ever passing through this way again, I would stay here in a heartbeat.
The staff at this hotel were very accommodating and kind. We arrived early by accident (traveling cross-country) and they were able to get us into our rooms without issue. They even moved our friends to a room on the same floor as us so we could be together. The rooms were clean, the pool and hot tub were really nice and clean, and breakfast was hot. Overall a really sweet little place to stay!
My trip was for a wedding. I arrived with just an hour before the wedding. The hotel was clean. The staff were very helpful. The breakfast was good. Only complaint would be with the beds, firm but not that comfortable.
When booking this hotel online, after selecting the option for a room accepting pet, I made the assumption that any additional pet fees would be included in the rate. However, that was not the case. I was charged an additional $15/pet which I had two. If your stuck paying fees, your pets should enjoy their own bed which my girls loved! Very comfy bed and amenities. The hot breakfast was great. My only critique was that juice quality was subpar (too watered down). I give a B+. The parking lot was full, we were toting a trailer and was forced to park catty womped.
I picked this hotel because it was pet friendly. I read the reviews about the omelet bar and was hopeful. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic and all your employees were friendly and smiling. We were driving from Oregon to Florida and this good night's rest and breakfast were just what we needed. Thank you!
Very convenient location off the interstate. Newer property. Quality, large rooms (great beds), terrific staff. Very good restaurant across the street! Our trip has meant 10 different hotels and this one has been the best!
I have stayed 4 times here in a 2 month period. Nice place, nice rooms. There is a problem with the water in the town having excess nitrates that makes it not good to drink, but okay for showers and teeth brushing. Hotel gives bottle water for drinking. Breakfast is good.
This is a great clean and pretty hotel to stay with a better price than the other hotels in the area. This includes free hot breakfast with real eggs, omelets, biscuits , sausages and fresh fruit. PEARS! We enjoyed the pears!
Burlington was a good stopping point on our cross country trip. We arrived early and visited the historic carousel, just a few miles away. Our room was great. Staff was friendly and professional. Breakfast was great - with fresh eggs/omelets made to order.
Spent the night on my way towards Kansas. Beds where comfy room was good size. Breakfast was good fresh made omelettes right in front of you. Staff was friendly and informative. Restaurant and gas station just across the road, McDonalds and others across I-70.
It was a wonderful stay. We recommend this hotel to stay if yo are traveling through the Hurlington Colorado area. Great breakfast, fun pool, friendly staff. Overall, we love this hotel every time we are traveling through on I-70.
Best Western consistency from the room, comfort, staff friendliness and options. Nice pool and great breakfast with personalized omelettes. Easy freeway access and access to food and fuel for travelers.
Beautiful Hotel. We stayed in a suite, it was nice to have a couch to sit on and relax. The bathroom was spa like, it was so pretty. The best thing was the bed...so comfortable... Friendly staff and good breakfast.
Super on all counts, but utterly amazing that at check in it was volunteered that this is a large farming community so there are many nitrates in the water. We were told that tooth brushing was ok, but please use the bottled water they provided. How often does respect for others trump (pardon the expression!) corporate greed??!!
Staff was helpful, courteous and professional. Building and rooms were clean. Will stay there again as we travel through the area. The kids loved the pool area. This was our first experience with taking out dogs and the hotel was great for them.
The hotel was very nice and breakfast in the morning was good. I liked this hotel. I would stay here again. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I had no problems with this hotel
I walked in and everything was like the pictures on-line. Super friendly staff! If I remember correctly the cleaning service did come a bit early for our liking, but other than that everything went well! Breakfast was great!
We stayed here on a stormy spring night. Our third floor room faced the back, which gave us a great view of the incredible lightning storm that came through the Colorado plains. The beds and corner chair were very comfortable and the room quiet. The windows opened all the way to let in the nice spring wind before the storm. The roomy closet had a full length door-sized mirror. The decent-sized bathroom featured a nice granite shower and countertops. The towels were better than most hotel towels. Our room also had unique table lamps as shown in the pictures. The only strangeness was the hotel's front entryway smelled like sweat. Nonetheless, I would definitely stay here again if I am in the area!
Well worth the stop if traveling on I-80 thru eastern Colorado. Great room, modern and very clean. The room we had was amazing and quiet. The breakfast bar had made to order omelettes! Overall A+++ would stay there again!
While transporting a vehicle and two family dogs from Colorado to Missouri, my wife, the two dogs and I were stalled due to white out conditions on I-70 on 4-30-17. We were glad we were in one of the first groups stopped as we acquired a room immediately. We enjoyed a great value stay offered by a very capable and friendly staff. I would recommend giving this property consideration when traveling.
This place was top notch! I had never stayed at a BW Plus until this stay and I was more than impressed! Everything still smelled brand new....! If I had one complaint, I'd say later pool hours...but that's just me. :)
Basically I believe that this hotel had some good features but not enough to justify a rating of excellent. The check-in clerk readily changed my room to the type of location that I prefer. The room was quiet and the bed was comfortable. The hotel is pet-friendly, so we were able to have our dog stay with us. The breakfast was about average. If the rate had been lower I would more likely have given it an excellent rating.
Stayed here 4/2017 with my husband & 2 kids. Room was clean and the pool was wonderful (but a little cold). We enjoyed the hot tub. The breakfast was wonderful with made-to-order omelets. Front desk was very friendly and the room beds were really comfy.
We had a wonderful stay. The front desk staff was very friendly. The front desk staff present when I checked out could have used some help as the interstate closed and the phone was ringing constantly as well as all the people in the lobby waiting to see if a room was available. She did a wonderful job with the situation. Just wish she could have had a little help.
My son and grandson were stuck at a truck stop in Burlington due to I70 being closed and I called to see if there were rooms available and talked with Connie and she said they had a room available for me not to worry she would take care of my kids! This mom is very grateful so Thank you !
The interstate was closed due to a blizzard in Kansas and we had to stay in this town unexpectedly. Very accomodating and sympathetic to the situation. Great TV with lots of channels, friendly, helpful staff and fabulous breakfast! Very nice place to stay if you have a pet especially.
On our way to Branson MO. it was raining very hard and we had to pull over. We decided to get a room for the night and typed in the GPS Best Western Hotel. We had to drive a couple of more miles but we always have a good stay at any Best Western so it was worth the extra miles!
The area we were in has Cattle feed lots. I spoke with the management to tell them how impressed we were at the ability of the building to block out the smells from the surrounding area. We found the room and bed to be excellent, clean and a super nice smell. The to order breakfast was really nice, as the hotels we generally stay in have a block breakfast and we are bored with them. Thanks for a new experience. We have joined the preferred guess program.
Very comfortable and good for the price. It was right off the highway. The breakfast was better than average with fresh omelets made. The staff was accommodating. We were offered a travel bag with water and pretzels.
Easy access from Highway. Pleasant staff. Room was good. Really appreciated the gift shop with postcards and Carousel merchandise. Not too far to Carousel. Even if you visit the Carousel in off season and can't touch the Carousel, there is large viewing window, so always worth a stop.
We were traveling with our son and dog heading back to Colorado. This hotel had easy access to a great quiet yard on the side of the hotel on the 1st floor...love it. Nice hotel as well. Great breakfast, nice amenities. Easy! Price was average, but acceptable.
Stayed there randomly on a road trip out but 3 months later I got a $120 bill and now they won't return my calls. I have called three times and every time they say they'll call back the next day. Lies.
The hotel was very convenient, clean, and reasonably priced. The breakfast included the standard hotel buffet items and made-to-order omelets! The staff was courteous and helpful. This was a rung or two above the average.
Clean spacious room, comfortable beds that provided a good night's sleep, great shower/tub, full length mirror door on closet, all the amenities and a great breakfast at a very reasonable rate. We will stay again.
The hotel had a omelet bar where you order your specialty omelet. The hotel was very clean with helpful staff. Of all the Best Westerns I have stayed in this one is at the top of my list. A great value for your money too.
Hotel near major road. Staff helped with dinner suggestions. Breakfast was fine with omelets made to order. Large room near elevator. We booked online just prior to arrival. Town not great but we were only interested in a room and a meal.
This is the worst hotel ever!!! The staff is RUDE! The beds are hard and uncomfortable. Hotel smells like a marijuana plant. Very loud. Asked to be moved to a different floor as there were people smoking and running up and down the halls, staff told me we could not be moved as they were full.
Beware this property now charges your credit card immediately and offers no cancellation. I will stay my last time here in May, but I will miss their nice home cooked omelets in the morning. Luckily there is a new Fairfield right across the street where I will be staying on my next visit, because I will never stay here again.
With lots of motels to choose from at this location, Best Western Plus Carousel Inn & Suites, Burlington is a great value for the spacious room and excellent breakfast. Location of hotel is just off the interstate.
Great experience, new hotel, excellent service, clean accommodations, very friendly and helpful employees. Breakfast was good and can order omelettes to your preference with items to choose from. Chef Socorro was excellent.
We needed a nice, clean room for overnight on our trip out to Colorado. As Limon has pretty bad choices, we opted to try the BW in Burlington. We liked it so much and they were so accommodating for our small Yorkie that we stayed again on the way back. Clean rooms, good breakfast, courteous staff.
Nice hotel and grounds. Newer hotel that is laid out well (breakfast area is not an after-thought). Nice pool / hot tub area. Good breakfast, although I wish I tried an omelette - they looked OK. Scrambled eggs were good - lots of toppings and fixings for omelets. Greek yogurt (Chobani) was a great touch.
Though our reservation was made several days in advance and we arrived at the hotel late afternoon we were told upon arrival that the king room we had reserved had been overbooked and there was no king room available. Even though we are Rewards members the solution the desk clerk offered was to a double queen bed room which would be a downgrade. Several apologies were offered but no solution. We then asked for an accessible king room which was available. BTW the hotel did not seem overbooked given the lack of overnight vehicles in the parking lot. Not sure we would trust a reservation with this hotel again. Our complaint is not with the facility but rather a feeling of insecurity about whether the reservation would be honored or not.
We've stayed at this hotel while traveling cross-country. The staff is excellent, the rooms spacious, and the facilities impeccable. Best feature is the made-to-order omelette post in the breakfast room. Highly recommend.
Beautiful area! Easy check in with a very knowledgeable clerk. Rooms were clean, quiet and the bed was very comfortable. Grandkids used the indoor pool and the next morning we all had a breakfast that was definitely a full meal deal! Thank you! We would stay here again without a second thought!
We stayed here a week ago and everything about this was terrific. Smooth check-in with helpful young lady. Comfortable, clean room and bed. The breakfast buffet was pretty amazing with a gracious lady making crepes with various combinations along with a wide variety of other breakfast choices available. Would stay here again for sure.
My wife and I spent the night on our way to see the northwest. We were on our way to Mt. Rushmore, and Burlington was in the right spot to stay. I am glad we chose BW. It was a clean, friendly place to stay. It had a good, hot breakfast. I highly recommend.
Had a room on the first floor with a view of the neighboring corn field. Room was large and very comfortable. Had all the amenities I could have wanted. Front desk staff was very friendly and efficient. Convenient to interstate, yet no road noise.
This is a pretty new hotel and very nice for the price. Free Breakfast had a omelete bar where they made them fresh for you and a unique pancake machine. Was a very nice stay exceded our expectations.
Nice new hotel. Everything was nice and clean. Check in was quick and pleasant. Breakfast was very nice to have fresh made omelettes. WiFi was awful and went in and out every couple seconds so we gave up on there free WiFi. Bed was comfortable and a great nights rest.
Exceptionally clean and well maintained hotel. Very comfortable room with an excellent tv and lots of channels. Very friendly front desk staff. Indoor pool and hot tub were clean and in great condition. Breakfast was in a large sunny room and I appreciated the tables were not on top of each other. Will stay again when we cross the country.
This is a quality place to stay, clean, helpful staff and reasonable in price. Access to I70 great, and great small town restaurants as well as food chains to provide choice in meals. Check in was simple and the clerk very informational on hotel and community questions
I had a very good experience at this Best Western. The front-desk staff were professional and informative, my check in and check out were completed quickly and without incident. The included breakfast was delicious and a good food and drink selection was available. The 2 queen bed room was a little small but was comfortable and nicely appointed. This property is convienently located to I-70 and a number of restaurants and fast food locations plus a full service truck stop across the street.
This is a newer hotel, and it really seems like the staff takes care of the place. I was pleasantly surprised by this 2.5 star hotel. The beds were firm but comfortable, but the pillows were a bit small (just personal preference). Everything was exceptionally clean, and and there's a small convenience store by the reception desk if you need snacks and drinks. There's also an omelette station in the breakfast area. Nice way to start the day!
cheerful, pleasant, helpful clerk - room very clean - comfy bed - WiFi - bathtub sparkling clean, the only one in all our travels that we felt we could "take a bath" in, not just a shower, water also drained excellently (we were not standing in 8" or more of water while taking a shower! - we arrived late, slept late so did not do breakfast - could move in tomorrow & be happy - great place
We stopped at several places before choosing this one. It was very fine. The staff, such as Corinne, were friendly and helpful. I chose a custom omelet as part of my breakfast. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable (our highest priority). We arrived late and left quickly with 500 miles to go, so we didn't get to use the pool.
A newer hotel, bed was comfortable, no hair dryer. Ample parking was nice since we were towing a boat. We thought the price was a little steep for the area. We had stayed the prior evening in a BW in Kansas City for 20 bucks cheaper that even had surround sound.
Excellent facility. Only drawback is the smell from the cattle feedlots to the north and south. This hotel is a great stopoff for driving to/from Colorado. Free breakfast was great with choices including made-to-order omlettes.
Stayed for a family event and was impressed with the entire experience. We had a suite on the third floor and it was clean and maintained with a microwave and mini fridge. Made to order omelette bar was a nice touch. Hotel looked pretty new, and was kept up nicely. The indoor pool and hot tub were a nice bonus.
Stayed @ this nice property last night. When I went to bed I felt something fall on my head. I turned a light on. I saw a black beatle on the pillow. I smacked it but didn't kill it. I went to get a cloth from the bathroom to pick it up. When I came back it was gone. Couldn't find it. Finally decided to go back to bed. Lay down and another another - non wounded - beatle appeared on the pillow beside mine. This one I captured and took it to The front desk alive in a baggie. Nice lady @ desk gave me a new room. Said she would tell the manager. She kept the live bug. Next morning I paid full price. The front desk offered me points on a rewards account. I expressed my dissatisfaction but got nowhere. What does it take to get a room comped at this place?
Traveling through and needed a place for the night. This is a fairly new motel in the area and so it was very clean and the furnishing were nice. The breakfast is above average for this range of motels with a choice of made to order egg breakfast and some other items that we normally don't see. Prices were good nice pool and hot tub.
Best Westerns are always clean & nicely decorated. The beds are comfy & the pillows are soft. The staff always makes you feel comfortable & welcome. Very nice hotel. They always give you conditioner for your hair & lotion for your body. Nice addition!
The staff, décor, and rooms were very nice. However, the walls are quite thin...heard neighbor coughing all night. Don't stay here if you don't like dogs. I do, but this was a little much. Barking up and down the hall all evening... DOGS EVERYWHERE. Overall, it was decent, but since this is right off the highway it was just chaotic. Breakfast area is nice but biscuits and gravy were cold... Would not recommend if you are hoping for a quiet stay.
I've stayed at this property several years and was greatly disappointed this time! The new truck stop across the road caused eighteen wheelers making noise all through the night. The window a/c units were terribly loud. When we complained the front desk gal said she was aware of this. Management has let this property really go downhill. We returned to our room at the end of the day to find the maid service skipped us! We had to call for clean towels. The curtains leave a lot of light shining in. The beds were uncomfortable and barely there thin blankets on the bed. There's not a lot to choose from in Burlington but I was really happy to see an almost completed Marriott going in across the road. I stay here because I have family in Burlington. Otherwise, I'd skip staying in this town altogether. The staff is courteous and my disappointment is strictly with the comfort and lack of attendance to the room condition and quality control of servicing the rooms. The maid cart was in the hallway when we left our room the morning it was not cleaned.
We stayed here as our family was in town for a funeral. The rate was about $150 per night, which seems quite high to me based on the location and type of hotel. Hotel is newer and rooms were nice- size was adequate and did feature a microwave and mini fridge in the room. Breakfast was provided in the morning and there was an ice cream social in the evening. Common areas were nice but could have used a bit of cleaning in the entryway, elevator and pool areas. Overall, experience was fine but if I needed to be in the area again, would consider another hotel or another nearby town based on the price paid.
Very nice and clean place to stay. Everything like new. Breakfast featured a make your own omelette bar that a staff member cooked for you. Our family of six stayed in queen suite. Very roomy. Nice gas station right across street.
It is an ok place to stay. We were passing through and it had what we needed. We were in a room by some dogs. One owner must have left their dog alone so it was barking when we got there as well as after we got back from supper. No fault of the place though. They had an ice cream social which was nice as well as the breakfast before we got on the road. We were able to eat 15 minutes before it was slotted to open which I was grateful of.
If you are looking for a great place to stay in Colorado, the Best Western Plus Carousel Inn & Suites is an excellent choice. Located on the outskirts of town with a wonderful restaurant. The staff were great. The breakfast was great.
During our trip out west, this was the best place we stayed. Outstanding customer service, beautiful rooms, sparkling clean, good parking for our mc trailer, convenient fridge and micro with dedicated counter. Everything was top notch in a very unexpected location on the long road home. Perfect! Thanks BW Burlington.
I travel frequently and I stay in hotels through out the Midwest! This place is 100% perfect! I could not find one thing to complain about! They serve ice cream in the evenings and every person on the staff was absolutely hospitable!!
Everything was great. Beautiful room, excellent beds, nice and quiet between rooms. Only noise was through hallway door. Nice breakfast. Would love fresh eggs rather than the mix, but I checked and the mix is gluten free. Very nice and spacious breakfast toom. All staff from front desk to breakfast staff were nice and friendly. We stayed here on our way back home from east coast to the mountains. Would have cost double at best to stay in Denver instead last night. Not always the case, but we will always check!
it appears this hotel is brand new and the condition reflects that. the rooms were clean and nicely appointed. the lobby area was modern and had everything you could need. the breakfast area was large and the food was good with a made to order omelet station. This is unheard of for a hotel of this price range. there is a nice outdoor patio area in the back of the hotel just off of the indoor pool. the odds of many people needing a room in Burlington, Co are slim, but if you find yourself there needing a place to stay, don't miss the Best Western.
This hotel is probably the nicest in Burlington (there is a new one under construction). I stayed here for work, working long hours. My room was near the doorway to outside, so a bit loud when trying to sleep as everyone is checking out. Other than that, a pleasant stay with pretty good breakfast offerings.
We stopped at this Best Western on the way to Wyoming and had a good stay. The room was clean, nicely furnished and had a nice bed. The breakfast was good and standard BW Plus fare, but in addition they also had a young lady making omelets to order. The only drawback to this nice hotel is that as another reviewer stated, the water has high nitrate levels. This isn't the fault of the hotel and did not concern us much but might be an issue to other people. The hotel does give out bottles of drinking water to guests.
We are Best Western Diamond and have stayed in many Best Westerns over the last few years. We find them pretty much hit or miss depending on the specific property. Traveling from St Louis to Denver, we decided not to book a hotel in advance, just to see how the day went. The drive across Kansas is 420 plus or minus miles on Route 70 with pretty much the same landscape throughout the drive. Little towns seem to be found every 30 to 60 miles, many with really old lodging options. Side note: one exception for lodging/restaurant in the trans Kansas run was Hays, KS where we noted what appeared to be a brand new Best Western and a Golden Corral. We did not stop as we were seriously considering a bed run to Denver. Alas, inclement weather precluded our ability to make progress beyond Burlington, CO. Burlington is a small town located about 15 miles from the KS/CO border. At the moment the best lodging option is the Best Western Plus Carousel Inn and Suites located just off the highway on the East side of the highway across from Love's gas station. We did note that a major brand was under construction just off the same exit as the BW but not yet open -- appeared to be a Marriott of some type based on the shape and exterior colors. But no signage yet. Pulled into the parking lot of the BW without a reservation and spoke to a lovely young person at the front desk. Asked for a king but no go. Turns out the hotel has a total of 66 rooms and only 7 king beds. Moral to the story: if you need a king, book early. So our choice was a Q/Q. First room I looked at was spotless and nicely appointed but a tad too small for what we wanted. Went back to front desk and desk manager suggested I look at a Q/Q suite and offered a reasonable rate. Q/Q suite was much larger than the standard Q/Q, was spotless, nicely appointed and perfect for the evening. In addition to the 2 Queen beds, there was a love seat and coffee table, microwave, refrigerator, large television and plenty of extra space. The difference in price between the standard Q/Q and the Q/Q suite was $20. Upon check in, I was informed that an ice cream amenity was offered in the dining room from 5pm to 7pm during the summer months. What a lovely treat. Enter the dining room and another young staff person was happily scooping delicious vanilla ice cream out of a big tub. Lots of toppings were available, including real whipped cream. Lovely surprise. The next morning the breakfast was generous with the highlight being custom made omelettes by a young person at the egg station. In addition, other offerings included scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits with sausage gravy, pancakes, assorted breads and muffins, hard boiled eggs, yoghurt, orange juice, coffee, tea, hot chocolate. Impossible to go away hungry. This property is definitely a keeper! Would definitely return. PS The best part is that BW has a summer promotion that everyone should sign up for. From now to end of September, BW is offering a $50 gift certificate for two night stays. There is a ceiling on the number of certificates you can qualify for but just ask at the front desk or sign up on line. Note that Hays, KS seemed to be an exception
The city tap water is dangerous, especially for pregnant women (I'm 18 weeks), and babies (have a 10 month old baby). The hotel needs to inform people of this BEFORE they book, not at check-in (which for us was 11pm in a hail storm with tornado warnings). We were given a few bottles of water for drinking and told not to drink tap water or consume ice from the ice machines but that it was ok for bathing. At breakfast, there were no signs to indicate if the water used to make the juice, coffee, or pancakes was safe or tap water so we had to stick to milk, yogurt, and a banana. I understand the water issue is not the fault of the hotel (found an article back in 2009 about it) but I do feel they need to be more responsible in making sure people know this BEFORE they book a room. The hotel in other ways was fine - clean, quiet, convenient to I-70. But the water was a huge issue for us.
We had a very good two-night stay at the Burlington BW Plus Carousel Inn. We were in a stiflingly small room the first night, and switched to a larger room. I don't exactly understand the different room sizes/categories/prices. Really nice staff at breakfast make the most of premade food by grilling the eggs fresh. Young woman who was the evening desk clerk was pretty young and about as uninterested in helping customers as could be, but we had really good experiences with everyone else. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Pool was a nice feature.
The room was very clean, comfortable, and cozy. Everything was in good shape, and the beds were very comfortable. It was more expensive then I would have like to pay, but it was a very nice hotel. The breakfast omelette was fantastic!
There aren't many choices to stay in eastern Colorado along I-70 so we chose this hotel. The room was clean and comfortable although a bit small for 2 queen beds. I looked at the late afternoon food offerings but things appeared to be a bit stale so passed them up. Being exhausted from our long drive across Kansas we didn't check the pool. I would recommend this hotel to others needing somewhere to spend the night and move on.
Very nice place to stop in Colorado before driving across Kansas next day. We were traveling with our 7 yr old granddaughter, the pool was very nice. Breakfast was a good value and very convenient. The hotel is convenient to the highway and fuel.
Always neat, clean, and comfortable. The staff was magnificent! I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone needing a complete rest from traveling all day. It is quiet and offers all the comfort anyone would want. A definite yes to Best Western.
The rooms were nice and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that the sound proofing is not good. I could hear the guests in the room next door talking. But besides that it was a really good hotel.
The Best Western Plus is a pretty nice hotel. The suite was real large, but the bathroom was really far from the bedroom. Sort of a disaster waiting to happen in the middle of the night without a night light. This is why we always pack one. Please consider adding night lights to these rooms. We loved the "fireplace" feature in the room and being able to adjust the temperatures in both rooms was nice. The breakfast chef was also a nice touch for omelets. I think this is probably the best it gets in Burlington.
Stopped here on our way down the freeway and found it to be a comfortable room and well priced. The bed was comfortable on the breakfast very good with a chef that cooked eggs to order. The hotel was about two hours out of Denver so I made it a convenient place to stop on our way to Branson Missouri.
The room was clean, dark and quiet, which are the main qualities I look for. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful to guests. The hot breakfast is very good. We will probably stay here again is we are in the area.
This Best Western is awesome! It's clean, has spacious rooms, free Wi-Fi, and free breakfast that includes omelettes made to order. The only negative but I have to say about the facility is that upon arriving the customer service representative let us know not to drink or utilize the tap water because there is a contamination problem with local fertilizer outdoors around the property due to crops. we were told only to use bottled water and it was provided for free.
Best Western in Burlington was a welcome sight when I-70 was closed due to snow. We were betting that the price would sky-rocket. Even though it was a bit high, no gouging....and every employee we had contact with was very pleasant. Room was great as was the omelet breakfast. Would stay there again if the need arose.
Easy access off I-70, friendly staff, easy check-in,clean, comfortable large room, good breakfast with made to order omelets, potato bar and nachos in the evening. We will stay here again. No complaints!
Traveling with birds is a challenge. This hotel welcomed us and gave us a room with the same standards of excellence as non-pet room. Unlike the usual routine where an extra fee gives you the smallest and filthiest room in the hotel, this was a refreshing difference. The only problem is we could only stay one night. A great stop when going from Kansas to Denver. Will stay again.
If you have to stay in Burlington, CO, this is the best hotel in 100 miles. Very new and clean. The suite was one big room with a microwave, refrigerator, and a nice big TV and bathroom. The breakfast was wonderful with made to order omelets every morning. The hot breakfast was different each morning. The evening snacks were nachos and a baked potatoe bar.
What a nice experience. Did not expect this nice of hotel in the town I stayed in. Great staff and wonderful breakfast selection. The hotel and room was clean with comfortable pillows and bed. Highly Recommend!
Hotel is very clean, staff is very nice, rooms are clean and nice. Served dinner in the evening for free which is very rare, but food was good. Hotel has exercise room which is small, but is adequate. Hotel also has indoor pool.
While traveling back home to NE Colorado we were caught in the March blizzard and forced to stop in Burlington as I-70 was closed. We were very fortunate to get two of the last rooms available at this hotel. The front desk staff were very professional and accommodating under very stressful circumstances as people were pouring in the front doors, calling on the phone and trying to book online. We were given rooms right across the hall from one another and were able to actually get in our rooms even though it was only 11:00 in the morning. Kudos to the housekeeping crew for having rooms available that early in the day. We were able to take refuge from the storm for the remainder of the day as they served a delicious baked potato bar in the breakfast room for dinner and then a wonderful hot breakfast the next morning. To top off the wonderful service, my daughter forgot her laptop and bag in the room when we left. We received a phone call from the staff along with an offer to ship the bag and computer to our home. This is one of the most beautiful and welcoming Best Western properties I have had the pleasure to stay at.
Very nice people on check-in, and room seemed nice, overpowering flowery cleaner smell. They gave us room on 1st floor, should have moved right away. People overhead were awfully noisy with kids, people next door were having a party until 11; and a customer with 2 dogs was nearby and they barked several times. The walls and ceiling absorbed NONE of the noise. Beds were comfy and bathroom nice, clean place. i would get a room on the top floor. Town is a very sad place, it was Monday and besides the place we ate, there were only fast food and Dennys. Beautiful steak restaurant completely closed, and several other really sad looking places closed or just not fit for travelers. They are building 2 more hotel very near this one but there will be NO good places for the people to eat. I would not stop in this location again.
Stayed 3/12 1 night only with our dog. Staff was super kind and courteous. We loved the "happy hour" nachos and burritos. Hot breakfast was great. Kids loved the pool and hot tub. Rooms were clean, and modern. Bed was a little hard but Im picky and partial to pillow top mattresses-still slept fine. Rooms were well insulated from hall and next door neighbor noises. Only complaint would be that the grassy area for dogs was full of land mines. While I realize this is the job of the dog owners to clean up, they are unfortunately not doing that so it would be nice if hotel staff did.
The Best Western in Burlington Colorado rooms are very comfortable and the breakfast and dinner offered are always a nice addition to the services offered. The staff is always helpful and very accommodating. I would recommend this motel to anyone traveling the I70 corridor.
A Great place to stay in Burlington, Co. I have stayed here several times and it is always a pleasant experience. The breakfast buffet is very good. They even serve fresh to order omelets. The rooms are always very clean and the staff very accommodating .
This place was great! The lady that made our cheese sandwiches when we checked in should get a review by herself. A the room was clean and comfortable as was the bed. A very good breakfast made to order. We stayed in 9 or 10 different places over a 20 day period. This was the best staff and the best value Holiday Inn Express, Best Western Plus is coming.
A very nice hotel in the middle of no where. If you happen to be traveling across I - 70 and need a comfy place for you and your pets to crash this is the place. Nice breakfast and happy hour appetizers included. We were pleasantly surprised to find such a nice find right on the Kansas/ Colorado border.......
Very clean and updated. Staff was very professional and helpful. I would highly rec'd staying here if you are in the area!! If your traveling towards Denver you will likely save some $$ , rooms get quite a bit more expensive as you get closer to the city. The king suites are very adequate for business travel.
Our family of four plus our dog stayed one night. The hotel is on the south side of the highway; there isn't much else there. Most of the restaurants are on the north side. However, the hotel provided a free taco bar and nachos for dinner. Amazing!! Breakfast had made to order omelets! Other breakfast options are available as well. The hotel was quiet; the beds comfortable. We stayed in a room with 2 queens and a sleeper sofa (2 queen suite). Very roomy. We stayed on the first floor and it was great to take the dog out. We would absolutely stay in the hotel again. Great hotel! For the hunters - they had notes indicating that another hotel has a cleaning area you can use if you show your room key.
Great place to stay by far. Most highly recommended!!!! Starting with the staff, the accommodations, food, and pleasantness of the place, it was great in every respect. Only wish all motels were this nice, clean and pleasant. Will stay here again when the opportunity presents itself!!
Stayed at this property for business and due to weather had to stay another evening. The staff was very good to work with all their guests during this time and the property is a very well ran property and clean and quiet.
Hotel is new. Everything was clean. Friendly staff at check in. There is a city water problem, as the water is high in nitrates which can be a health issue. The front desk was happy to give me 3 bottles of water so I could drink bottled water. The evening snack of chili and chips was good as was breakfast with omlettes.
The overall experience as always is good. The staff are very friendly and helpful. the Breakfast made to order omelets are outstanding. Very Comfortable stay. The swimming pool and Hot tub is very relaxing
There is not a huge attraction to the area but if you are looking for a comfortable place to stay that is clean and has a great breakfast than this is your place. The staff is helpful and the housekeeping department is wonderful. The hotel is right off the interstate and easy to locate.
The town may have been small but the customer service was excellent. The morning manager was so attentive to our needs from breakfast to checkout. She assisted me in reviewing and explaining the rewards promotion. The fresh omelets and the cook preparing them were great. We have stayed at this Best Western on a previous trip on Interstate 70 and did not hesitate to choose this hotel again. The room was comfortable and the interior as well as the exterior were very nice and definitely an oasis on a long stretch of highway. We enjoyed some time in the spa as we unwound from a long day on the road. They offered a humble dinner at no cost but we elected to grab something elsewhere to take back to our room. Through no fault of the hotel, the water issue still is a concern and we were not advised of this at check in. There was, however a posted notice off to the side of the front desk which apparently we were not the only ones to miss seeing based on a comment of another hotel guest in the elevator. Since we had been there before we were aware of this situation and it in no way interfered with our visit or choice to stay here. I left something in our room but when I called back the next day they could not locate it but did take my phone number. Unfortunately I never received a call back that they had found it. It was not really anything worth a great deal of value so I let it go. This would be the only reason I did not give the hotel 5 stars. You can't go wrong selecting this hotel. We had a great unblocked view of the Western sky and enjoyed a marvelous sunset from our room. A real and unexpected bonus!
Other than extremely slow check-in, which is not good for first impressions after hours on I-70, the room and stay was great. I noticed a sign on the check-in desk about problems with the city's tap water. Then the check-in clerk asked if I wanted two bottles of bottled water. When I got to my room I checked the Internet for EPA reviews of the city water. Sure enough, EPA has cited the City and the state fined them a hefty amount (August 2015) for not reporting nitrate problems with their tap water. That whole issue unfortunately tainted my stay in Burlington. In the morning, I couldn't wait to get out of there and decided to forego coffee and breakfast. I guess businesses in town, such as restaurants and hotels, are all required to post a notice about the tap water. Infants are at the highest risk for serious health issues related to the nitrates.
This hotel is either new or newly remodeled. Very clean. Beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was good. There was a young woman making made to order omelettes. The pancake machine was out of order so the young woman was also making them. That was a surprise as many hotels would not attempt to go the extra step to accommodate guests. We had a king room on the second floor. Hotel was quiet even though close to I-70. All rooms nonsmoking which is a plus for us. Seemed pricey, but worth the price. The clerk also recommended a restaurant in the small town of Burlington. There are several fast food restaurants, but we wanted something different. The restaurant is called Essential Foods. It is at 431 14th st. It is part of the business called Health Essentials. I would recommend you give it a try.
Clean, friendly, fast service. Room (king suite) was clean, stocked and nice to relax. Pool and hot tub were just what we needed. Great option if you're in the area! Our family is in the area and we will stay here again.
The Best Western Carousel provided a clean, modern, comfortable room. The bathroom was super clean and spacious. Breakfast included a made-to-order omelet bar and make-your-own pancakes, along with the usual cereals and breads. Although it's right off the interstate, it was very quiet.
THE best place to stay if you're in Burlington! The staff was friendly and helpful, and the hotel was modern, clean, and comfortable. The bed and pillow were superb, and the bathroom was spacious and super clean. The hotel is just off the highway (to the south of I-70) but there was no highway noise. There was a complimentary evening meal (burrito bar), and the breakfast was way above average - you could even get a made-to-order omelet! I would definitely stay here again.
It was a good room. Clean and roomy. We were upgraded to a suite for free. Bed was comfortable. Serve omelets for breakfast and edible but not the greatest. I would stay again but probably have breakfast elsewhere
Wow, after a long day driving it was a very welcome oasis. The staff was very welcoming and friendly (even very late at night). The rooms were clean and very well maintained. The beds were very comfortable and helped me have a good nights sleep. The breakfast buffet in the morning was top notch. We really enjoyed our stay.
First time at a Best Western Plus and I am impressed. More money than we wanted to spend but it was worthwhile. Would stay here again if we were passing through eastern Colorado. Room was really well designed and very well furnished.
