Best Western Plus Hotel Concord Inn, Minocqua

Hotel was very clean, staff friendly. Beds were too hard for me. We went for beef o rama so the location was perfect. The staff even had food out for their guests during the day, which was neat. I would stay again. Would recommend to friends, Hubby did say breakfast was ok, he's had better.

Not happy with check in process, restaurant was closed, water slide closed, bathroom light didn't work, ordered pizza delivery which must pick up at front desk, yet delivery guy said that was wrong. Nice breakfast area, rooms seemed clean.

Hi Termosell, I am not sure where you stayed? We do not and never had a waterslide or restaurant in our Best Western Plus Concord Inn. We do serve a hot breakfast every morning from 6am to 10am, and we do have a lounge that is open everyday except on Sundays. They have pizza / chicken tenders/ cheese curds. The only place I know who has a water slide is the Waters of Minocqua. They are not part of our hotel and is located at the other end of town. We do have a indoor pool with whirlpool but never had a slide. I am sorry that your experience was not good. Thank you Becky D GM

When you walk in the hotel has a warm feeling. The staff is friendly, the hotel is very clean, the rooms are very clean and have everything you need. The location is excellent as it is in the center of town. Easy walking access to surrounding activities. Great for kids with a nice pool.

We stayed at this hotel while vacationing/visiting family in the area. Very clean hotel, nice rooms, friendly staff, great breakfast. Perfect central location! Walking distance to restaurants, shopping and Bearskin Trail. We will definitely stay here again.

Nice hotel on a perfect lot with a view. Restaurants and shops around the way. Bar and lounge inside, pool and business center are available for guests. Room was clean and super modern. Customer service was excellent.

Best Western Plus had an excellent pool with a hot tub and lounge tables and chairs. Private outdoor garden seating is available to hotel guests. Was pleased with how excellent the front desk associates manors were. They were a great help. Fitness center passes are available upon request. Prices were fair too, very modern, also a nice view from the room!

Was visiting the area and was impressed by the location of this hotel. Great customer service by Best Western clerks. Room was excellent too, a great view, air conditioning was modern, television was well equipped with many channels. WiFi and breakfast were mentioned, WiFi is high speed, excited for breakfast.

Great pool was newer looking and the hot tub was good! Business center and atm are available. Vending and local shops were very cool. Room was clean with a great view of the lake water. Parks and public areas just across the street at the beach, park, and theres a lightning shelter with seating.

Very nice staff and hotel! But for paying over $200 per night for a room, the rooms should have been cleaner. The bathroom floor was dirty and there was hair in the bathtub when I went to give my son a bath. So grosse!!!

This hotel is on the island strip with a view. Get around traffic and right where you want to be, center and front. Excellent bar and food catering at the Best Western Revere's Lounge. Room had an excellent television channel guide and work desk. Nearby to restaurants, and a Walmart.

New pool with a new hot tub. Private hotel with seating and cookout availability. Rooms have a view and it was a modern and up to date hotel. Customer service was inviting and encouraging, fast and experienced.

Room was very well lit with lots of toiletries. Bag stand, iron board, and a closet are behind the room door. The room has tables, lots of lighting, television, cabinetry and a microwave and fridge. Excellent air conditioning system and nice size bathroom.

Parking was excellent and easy. Room check in was fast and could be considered express check in. City newspaper, water, or coffee is readily provided in the lobby. Breakfast is provided in the morning. Business center with an atm is here at the hotel. Local gym pass is available upon request.

What a nice stay. Our room faced Lake Minocqua. Rooms were comfy and quiet. The breakfast was way more than expected. Nice pool and hot top. Close and within walking distance to a number of restaurants. All in all a top stay for us. If you want a beach of fishing pier they are right across the street.

Excellent view and lovely accommodations. Very well maintained and lovely art work around the hotel. They cater with a bar and offer food. Hotel has a game room, pool, hot tub, and outdoor private seating.

The hotel smells weird from the moment you enter. The bed was hard as a rock. Then to top it all off, they had me in a room close to the bar area. It sounded like the men were inside of my room. Fine to have a bar area for guest, just don't have rooms located anywhere near. I asked to go to another room and the person at the front desk said there was no other rooms available. She was very nice, but the layout of the hotel and the sound proofing is horrible.

I am truly sorry about your stay. We do have 2 different kinds of mattress firm and pillow top and we try to offer when we can. We are looking into more soundproofing for our bar. I am sorry they didn't close the door and will speak to the bar tenders about that. I do apologize that we were unable to move you to a different room. I am not sure what odor you were smelling at check in. Again I am truly sorry you didn't enjoy your stay. We hope you give us another try. Clean , well kept hotel. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was good. customer service was excellent and get me into my room fast and without any issues. if you are the area i would highly recommend staying here.

I'll start w the “bad”. Only because very minimal and didn't use it to vote negatively against them. 1). Given the room key to a room that was already rented. Was a little embarrassing, but not for us. 2). We wanted to grab breakfast and go. But BW apparently buys the world is on fire and has 1 person making breakfast and getting everyone stuff for them. You can't get your own. What should have taken 3-5 minutes took us 15-20. Not huge, but we were heading to a funeral. Ok. The good Parking. 8/10. Snowmobiles everywhere. But we found a spot. Front desk. 10/10. Very polite. Room: 8/10. The worst: the Bed had a plastic liner on it. I guess they were worried about fluid on the bed. It was gross and LOUD. ROOM- Very clean. The main door wasn't sealed amazingly well. TV was loud but overall good. Breakfast: 7/10. But the lady was great!! Staff: 10/10. The front desk and breakfast gal were great. Accommodating. Polite. Very nice. Made the stay 5 stars

I know it's difficult when someone is serving you breakfast, but there would have been a line no matter what with a full house. I will have maintenance check the door to see what is going on. The rooms were clean with all the amenities you would need. The employees are personable and go out of their way to make you feel like you are at home. On site bar was a blast. Jelly had everyone enjoying a great time. What a great stay.

This property had everything we were looking for by way of a bar/lounge, clean, comfortable rooms, a great meeting space by the fireplace with comfy chairs & bar top tables to hang out and a swimming pool & hot tub area. The staff was extremely friendly & helpful and added to the overall fun experience that we had while we stayed there.

They booked an extra room for us and she would not admit she made a mistake. She was the one we booked the rooms with. She was more worried about trying to prove us wrong, then helping us figure it out. We will never stay there again. We normally rent 5 to 6 rooms every year, multiple times a year. Horrible, horrible customer service and extremely rude. As a General Manger you would think she was on top of her game.. Not a chance. I would highly recommend staying across the street at the other hotel or even renting the house/condo. I'd hate to see people get fired, but maybe being a maid would be a better fit for her

The service was fantastic. Great breakfast in the morning, great lounge and pool area in the evening. Great times had by all. We love the downtown location to be able to walk to where we need, and to simply cross the street to use the park or get on the lake with our sleds..'

This was our third year staying at this hotel for our yearly snowmobile trip. Always have had great experience, we enjoy the breakfast every morning and the bar in the evening. The staff is awesome and really made our stay fun.

Had an enjoyable experience.The bar is handy and they have good pizzas.. Hot tub and pool were great. The daily breakfast was very good, they even started it at 4am for us hunters. The staff was very helpful.

Returning customer - For the price, the location and services, either on site or nearby were perfect. It's a small town in comparison with not an abundance entertainment and outlets. It met our needs as we had a family member pass away recently nearby in Minocqua/Park Falls and needed a central location to work from to sort out all the assets. This was and continues to be a perfect hotel for us. Love the whirl pool and swimming too. relaxing.

Neat & clean lobby, easy & quick check in by a friendly, professional staff, hallways & elevator all spotless, our room was very clean -my sensitive nose did not detect any undesirable odors at all. We had a lake side view, which included the street & a narrow park along the beautiful lake. Our room was quiet & the beds were so comfortable! The pool area was checked regularly by staff to keep it clean, it was spotless, with plenty of clean pool towels, with used ones removed. The bar was busy, but the bartender was experienced, professional & speedy, besides allowing me to "customize" my old fashion, by adding a smidge more of the bitters, (thanks!) Checking out was quick & easy by depositing our key cards in a lock box by the lobby. We are looking forward to returning in the future!

The price was too high for the room we got. It felt like an economy motel room - SMALL. The room key was next to IMPOSSIBLE to operate! It NEVER worked on a first try! In order to close the bathroom door you needed to step into the edge of the shower stall. And the door would not close unless you forced it! The whole place was very clean, the pool area looked well taken care of and it was nice to have a bar on site. The personnel were friendly and as helpful as they could be. If we are in Minocqua again we will try a different motel, especially at that price. ($170.00+taxes the last week of September 2021)

Check-in/ check-out easy. Rooms were clean (older renovated luxury style hotel). Access pretty easy (I'm in a wheelchair). Good sensible policy regarding COVID- six feet apart, cleanliness was good, hand sanitizer availability was good, etc.

Older motel that offered poor value in relation to the price. Every facet of the motel would benefit by a good cleaning and updating. There was very little human interaction. The motel was located in the center of town which offered good accessibility to the town but also brought with it a lot of noise.

Extremely happy with this hotel, their rooms, the pool and room rates. I will be using this hotel from now on. The Americ Inn had always been our go to hotel for many years, but here in 2021 their policy on returning customers did not reflect their appreciation on the room rates ($179 - $220) absolutely ridiculous. We found ourselves in Minocqua very unexpectedly due to a family health emergency. The manager Becky was so incredibly understanding of our situation and could not have been more helpful. We didn't know what we were doing from one minute to the next, but had no worries as Becky made sure we had a place to stay during a busy July 4th weekend. Because of her kindness we were able to focus on our ill loved one and know we had a place to sleep those 4 nights. A true lifesaver. Thank you Becky!!! P.S. the hotel was great too!

This Best Western was the "Best". With other hotels in the area, and we've been to them, we enjoyed this stay the most as the service, amenities, price (all things considered) were all a great value.. Make sure you say hi to the manager Becky as she'll treat you like its her own home.

Would definitely recommend this hotel! Very accommodating, able to get our rooms next to each other! Bar closed a bit earlier than expected but it was still early season! Breakfast buffet was ok but I prefer bacon over sausage.

Very clean rooms with a great pool and hot tub area. The exterior of the hotel is in need of some repairs. I actually was a bit worried about the cleanliness of the interior based on the exterior but the inside and the rooms were very clean.

We have stayed at the Best Western Plus Concord Inn in Minocqua a few times, and it never disappoints! The staff by far is the friendliest we have experienced in the area. The complimentary breakfast (even the way they are handling it during Covid restrictions) is awesome. We can't say enough good things about this Best Western!

We stayed on a Friday and Saturday night for a weekend getaway. The hotel was clean and the staff were very friendly. Our room was nice and the pool and hot tub were excellent. Both the hot breakfast and the grab and go breakfast were very good. We will definitely stay there again.

We love this hotel. Easy access to snowmobile trails. Warm breakfasts was great every day. Swimming pool was clean and water was warm. Workers were super nice and helpful. We love to back to this hotel every winter because we feel like they take care of us.

Our family stayed at Minocqua Best Western from Jan 1st through Jan 4th, 2021. We had our dog with us and stayed in one of the dog-friendly rooms. The room was very clean, with no trace of pets staying in the room before. Everything else about the stay was great, and the location of the hotel is perfect. Also, since several other reviews mention COVID compliance, I wanted to share our experience in this regard. Obviously, no hotel can provide the level of distancing that one can achieve when staying in their own home. But, I felt that the hotel staff is doing everything reasonable for the safety and comfort of their guests during these times. I would like to thank the hotel for staying open and for providing us a place to stay during our visit.

I travel alot and am I on the road usually every year over 200 nights out. This place was absolutely incredible! My installers and I were here for 3 weeks plus. From Becky the G.M. who was the best on making are stay a memorable one. To Kristina the Breakfast Lady who was the Greatest, on making sure you were satisfied with it with the best personality ever. Miss Lynn at the Bar was Perfect at the bar for drinks and food. She catered and pamperd us well. We had so much fun there!!!! The housekeeping staff were great and very friendly down to the Houseman and Maintenance Staff. Every one made the stay the Best Ever!!!!

I would have given the Concord a #1 rating if it were not for the perfect location. We were happy to see the Best Western's COVID Policy on a large sign when we walked up to the reservation desk only to see the clerk did not have a mask on. During our stay (1 night) no employees wore masks including another desk clerk, cleaning staff and the lady serving the hot breakfast! With this you have no choice but to question their sanitation procedures. Dated and run down speaks for itself. BW has a diamond in the rough, turn it back into a diamond.

My front desk staff do not wear mask behind the front desk with the shield, but they do wear masks when they are out the office. We sanitize every room at check out. The hotel was easy to find right across from a park on Lake Minocqua. Staff was pleasant and check in was very easy. The room was decent sized and appeared clean The bathroom was somewhat small but also appeared clean. The bed was old, creaky, and sagged in the middle- due for replacement The TV was large and had good channel selection The room had a fridge and microwave The pool was nice and clean as was the hot tub The breakfast was good. Real hot food - eggs, sausage, etc.

Wonderful place to stay while passing through Minocqua. We were welcomed by very nice staff and wearing masks as well. Our room was ready and very clean upon entering. We asked for a room with a view of Torpy Park and top floor. The pool was very clean and a great temperature for cleaning. The bar was open, and serving customers and watching footballs games. The breakfast was prepared well and with proper precautions taken. We would definitely recommend

Our stay at the hotel was a very positive one and would not hesitate to return. Our room was ready for us and very clean. The bed was super comfortable which led to a good night's sleep. The breakfast arrangements were handled very nicely by a personable young man who prepared your meal along with wearing a mask and plastic gloves. The receptionist was very helpful. Would absolutely stay here again!

We stayed at this location one night the first week of August. None of the employees were wearing masks on their nose and mouth. There are signs up and hand sanitizer. I saw at least 4 employees doing cleaning the day of our departure and none of them had masks at all. The receptionist greated us at the front desk where there was partial plexiglass; she had a mask on her chin only. The individual handling food preparation was wearing a mask without covering his nose. I ran out as fast as I could.

Thank you Kie9228, for your review. I will speak with my breakfast attendant about making sure his mask is pulled over his nose also. Most of my employees know that they are to be wearing mask when in the public areas and in rooms with guest being in there. My front desk staff we don't require them to wear a mask when they are behind the barrier but when they go out in the halls they must have them on. I Will discuss this with our housekeeping crew. Thank you

The hotel employees were very friendly and accommodating and the hotel was very clean and inviting. However, for the most part, the employees did not wear face coverings at all. One person at the front desk did. She was a younger employee. The cleaning staff had masks around their necks but they never were seen wearing them. The maintenance staff were not wearing masks. The signs posted at the hotel and on the website said all employees would be wearing masks, and that is why we chose that hotel.

Check in went very smoothly, and the stay was very nice. We requested an early check in and our room was ready before 3:00. It all worked our wonderfully so we could get to our scheduled ziplining on time.

Clean, comfortable, friendly motel conveniently located in Minocqua. Walk to restaurants, shops. Close to lake, parks and trail. Pet friendly with large grassy area next to hotel. Pool, bar and hot breakfast.

Took the bikes with friends to Minocqua. First stop..check in at the Best Western. Pleasant, efficient staff. Public areas nicely decorated and clean. Rooms were spacious, comfortable and also very clean. Given the pandemic their breakfast setup was different than usual, but it worked. Food was tasty and made to order hot. Short walk to downtown with a lot of nice shops and restaurants. Very pleasant experience.

We stay at the Concord Inn for a night in the winter every year. We stay here because it is dog friendly and is very convenient - easy walk to downtown shops and restaurants. The sink is outside the bathroom and the bathroom is small. A recent upgrade has replaced the tub with a shower, which makes the bathroom appear larger. The breakfast is typical of budget lodging. Bottom line, this is a budget motel at a budget price (for a resort area) with a very convenient location. It that is your expectation, you will be satisfied.

We stayed here for the Ice Cold Beer fest. The hotel was very clean and reasonably priced. We also liked the on site lounge and the breakfast with many options. Also, Becky and Deborah were two staff members who were extremely friendly and hard working! Both really made the stay that much more enjoyable. Would definitely return here.

In a typical winter, I stay two or three nights in Minocqua. Typically we stay in a nearby hotel but became dissatisfied with our previous stay and chose to give the Best Western a try. On our next stay we will definitely return to the Best Western. Three of us rented a two room suite with three queen size beds at a better rate than 2 separate rooms would have been at the competitor. In addition the complimentary breakfast was better (Bacon, and real oatmeal complete with multiple toppings). The hot tub was superb (better jets and bubbles). It was easy to control the temperature in the room which can be difficult in some hotels. Check in was easy and the staff was friendly and helpful. Location in downtown Minocqua. Hope to be back at the BW in February.

Friendly staff everywhere - from front desk to breakfast. We love the on site bar and 24 hour coffee station, and always enjoy a great breakfast. The new fireplace in the room made it so warm and cozy!

Very friendly staff at check-in. Room was immaculate. I have allergies, so I know when a room is dusty, etc. No issues with allergies at this hotel. Room was very nice and the fireplace was an added feature.

The entire staff was great during "Beef-A-Rama" weekend!! Prime spot to stay right across the street from all the events. Very clean rooms, all kinds of events and lots of food. So then when leaving our room to check out, I sat my cell phone down and promptly left it on the bed!! I called the hotel as soon as we got home and I realized I didn't have my phone and Becky knew exactly why I was calling since the Housekeeping staff turned it in and it had been ringing!! LOL. She got it shipped right back out to me and in 2 days I had my phone again. You never realize just how much you use your phone until you don't have it. We are booked for next years "Beef-A-Rama" already and can't wait to get back up there. Thank you again to Becky and the Hotel staff for getting my phone back to me!!

The room clean, hotel staff extremely polite in spite of the high volume of people staying here. Decent breakfast, coffee 24/7. Location is perfect for all Minocqua events. Lots of parking and most importantly-:quiet rooms. Heard nothing on the hallway.

We look forward to staying at the Concord Inn. We have been staying there since we started going up to Minocqua 20ish years ago. So we were excited to be visiting Minocqua again and eagerly booked at room at the Concord Inn. Then reality set in. It used to be a really nice hotel. It has slipped from years past. The temperature in the room was hard to control. It was either too cold or too stuffy. The water smelled "fishy." The taste was OK but the odor was offputting. At first I thought it was the soap. There was no bathtub, just a shower. The bathroom door wouldn't close. The room didn't look or feel all that clean. There were a few nails scattered in the 2nd floor hallway, which could have used a really good vacuuming. On the plus side, the breakfast room staff were courteous and energetic, especially Nora. The breakfasts were decent enough. But is that enough? Not sure. We are probably going to be looking for a new place to stay the next time we head to Minocqua.

All of our rooms were remodeled this year and we do still have rooms with tubs. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff was very helpful, & courteous . Hotel appearance inside and out was exceptional. Breakfast was served and we were given many options to choose from. I liked the location, staff courtesy, cleanliness, and comfort of the room.

Stayed for 3 nights with a group of 12. Overall, a really clean and well-maintained hotel with great amenities. Free breakfast was surprisingly good, higher quality than what I typically expect with complimentary hotel breakfast and good variety. Breakfast staff super attentive, friendly, and constantly working hard to keep everything stocked, clean, and fresh. Clean pool area, hot tub nice and hot. Free fruit infused water in the lobby with unique flavor combinations daily. Free cookies after 3pm. Free coffee all day long. We were super comfortable. Hotel is in excellent location -- within walking distance to almost everything. We were able to walk to restaurants every night. Couple hiccups, but staff rectified the issues well. Our room had a terrible musty odor and the carpet was damp. They changed our room and everything was fine. Even the musty room was clean, but we think the previous guest may have had a cooler leak on the carpet or something. Also, FYI when booking your room, their "queen" beds are definitely NOT queen -- they are full beds with very little room for 2 people. If you're a couple, aim for a king. We were supposed to get one, but they didn't have anymore available. Overall, we would definitely stay here again!

Great location for walking to local downtown Minocqua dining/pubs/shops/lake views. Hotel was clean quiet considering our room was next to the elevator and the building is next to busy highway 51 the main drag going through town. Room was musty smelling as mini fridge leaked water on small portion of carpet. When leaving we stopped at the front desk to report it but no one was there, so we left. We paid $170 for the 1 night stay, room rate based on good location downtown. We normally stay at Hampton Inns but there were none in the area.

across from the lake and just steps away from the main drag...however, it's an old place and looks like it. sink in the room and a tiny separate room for the toilet and shower (but the shower is nice and big). there's no desk and hardly any outlets. beds are fine, just wished there was more than one kind of pillow. the towels are small. the usual included breakfast. treats (cookies, etc) in the evening & flavored water available in the lobby - along with a full bar.

Thank you John for your review. We are sorry you didn't like our newly remodeled rooms this year. Not all of our rooms have desks in them. The lights in all of our rooms between the beds have extra outlets in them. There are two kinds of pillows in all of our rooms, 4 pillows per bed. I am glad you enjoyed the new shower, cookies and bar. We will be remodeling our public areas next. Breakfast changes a little everyday, with Hash browns, omelets, egg burritos, bacon , sausage blintz, French toast, Egg patties, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy. Thank you for letting us know. Very good located. Check in time 15:00, we could check in an hour and a half before that time. Smelled of pool throughout the complex. Pretty big room with a small "king size" bed. Coffee maker in the bathroom! Pretty good breakfast. There was no milk so I went to reception. Found the receptionst sleeping at the desk. Very pricey room for the standard but that's no surprise when it's a summer town.

refurbished hotel with fresh furnishings - very noisy with "out of control children" running the hallways! check out Americinn - pool is in much better, noise free location for guests. Also, rooms located further off main roadway.

Average motel stay. We had issues with the AC. Room was typical. We were disappointed with no bath tub since we traveled with a baby. Staff was very friendly! Location is perfect! I would recommend this motel if you want a great location to downtown Minocqua & want a decent price!

The manager Becky and all others were so nice..we had to land and leave our private jet there until the next AM due to weather..and needless to say we are plenty spoiled by all the nice places we go..but the hotel is really well managed!..and the rooms are very nicely remodeled..And I have never slept so well in a long time with that super comfy bed..when we checked out, I was so glad to be able to tell her in person how much we enjoyed our stay, and how much of a great value it is as well.. the Bathroom was updated and spotless..very nice big shower with lots of hot water..the bedroom was spotless, with a a frig and microwave...and the bed was sooo nice..with a pillow top mattress..and even the air conditioner was just right for me..i set the temp and could keep the fan on for white noise..but never noticed any outside noise at all.. I usually stay at much more expensive Hilton properties, but have to say..they are a really good reason to consider Best Western..esp there.. Me and my crew did not take advantage of breakfast..because we had something else in mind for that..we met up in the lobby and got on our way, my copilot said his room was equally nice.. They were remodeling, but never effected our stay. Rooms were clean and comfortable. If you want a tub, this was the only negative, it was a shower only. We had a beautiful view of the lake across the street. There were plenty of food options within walking distance, we chose one farther away because we wanted to check out the rest of the area. Very happy with the stay.

As everyone knows reading my reviews I am honest and tough. This BW and it STAFF honored each request, I gave them to a tee. We had two funerals in one week within miles of each other. They made sure to have our room ready and the young lady {Kelly} went above and beyond for us. Appreciation for someone that listened and followed through is rare anymore. The hotel is clean and the staff from management to cleaning staff is proud of the job they provide for us! That holds more value than they realize for travelers. When you get in late from driving straight from work you want to shower and just chill. They made sure we had enough supplies we could get ready the next day with no issues. Just incase you forget someone at home. A adult brain fart...lol The meal in the morning is made fresh and appreciated greatly! No microwave items here; I was informed regarding the food. This was more business than pleasure this time around but I can say; "I only wish every hotel did this well!" Thank you everyone and please prove me right on the staff and the care given. PS. They have a small bar downstairs if you want a cocktail before bed. The only reason they did not score perfect is they should always have high goals in this business!!!!

Not worth the price. Staff, especially Housekeepers, were amazing. Continental breakfast offered was minimal. Rooms were extremely clean, bed was very comfortable. Plenty of towels. Pillows were small and square (I found that odd) and ok in comfort. Fireplace was a nice touch. On-site bar was not open, which was weird seeing we stayed on the weekend. Pool, hot tub and pool area were very clean. 2 computers with printers.

Spent an overnight stay at the property after snowmobiling. Immediately went to the hot tub and then to the pub. Having the hot tub open in the morning was a wonderful surprise since the temputure was 20 below zero the next morning. The breakfast had a good selection and the room was clean.

We found the Beat Western to be very clean. Staff was friendly and courtious. Very nice breakfast good selection. It really is a good value if you take advantage of the breakfast. We didn't use the pool, but it looked very clean. Will definitley stay here again!

We were at the Best Western for a snowmobile trip, spending our days out in the winter cold. We came back to our room to find the maid had turned the heat OFF in our room. We were displeased as we were looking for warmth. We reported this to the front desk who assured us this was not their policy and that it wouldn't happen again. Jump to the next day and guess what? We returned to a cold room yet again as the maid had once again turned our heat off. Day #3 our toilet paper supply was down to about the last 18" on the roll when we left for the day, and when we arrived back the maid had not left us any more toilet paper. We had to go to the front desk and beg for toilet paper. We all make mistakes from time to time and I am a forgiving person. . . but three days in a row we had sub-par maid service. Heat should NOT be turned off on a paying guests room, and filling the toilet paper and leaving an extra roll should be an automatic item for a maid. We were not impressed with the maid services. If I went there again I'd bring my own toilet paper and never let a maid enter the room, so I could be assured after a day out in the cold that I'd return to a nice, warm room.

Great breakfast in the morning and the staff is excellent , very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and the maids were very accommodating and always smiling. the hotel was very clean and I loved sipping on a bloody mary and watching the fire place. I would highly recommend this hotel !

The staff at this hotel is exceptional! They are constantly working to keep the common areas clean and nice, and the rooms are very clean. You can tell the housekeeping staff takes their time and takes pride in the work they do! Linda at the front desk is especially nice, fun and helpful, she made our stay extra great!

This is the best hotel in Minocqua when compared to the others. Great breakfast every morning with good selection freshly made and clean. Walk to downtown or the beach just a few steps away. Snowmobile parking and trailer area in winter

The hotel and rooms were very clean. For the price the rooms need to be updated. The carpet had stain spots, the couch had an unpleasant odor and the floors creaked really bad. The ladies at the front desk really went out of their way to make us feel welcome and to see to our needs. I would stay again and would recommend to others.

Awesome location with ample trailer parking and access directly across the street to Lake Minocqua and several trails beyond. Been staying there for years and it is never a let down! In the heart of downtown Minocqua and within walking distance to several locations for food and beverages. The area also has several supper clubs that are superb!

The Best Western Plus in Minocqua, WI was a great place to stay. Our family enjoyed everyone especially the lady taking care of the breakfast room and Joe the bartender. The rooms were clean and well taken care of. Everyone was extremely friendly.

I appreciate hotels that have their act together and this was no exception. Everything worked, rooms were impeccably clean, beds were comfortable.I'm not a fan of the wash basin being in the living area instead of the bathroom but then again if you were to make coffee, that's definitely nicer somewhere else than bathroom.Eh, it's all choices. I don't use the basin for other than washing and that's always a bit awkward in the living room.Some charging points for comms would be nice. There was only one (in the TV) and it works only when the TV is on. C'mon, this day and age.. put a couple of USB outlets in.

Went to Wisconsin for family and stayed Best Western in Minocqua. Is an older hotel but nicely kept. Everyone slept well and were comfortable. Breakfast was very nice with many choices . In the family we have those who want nice oatmeal and others who want bacon and eggs and all were happy

It was the second time staying here and it was just as comfortable as the first. We like how convenient the location is also. Walking distance to everything. We will definately be booking our stay here again.

First time staying at this BW. We just left Thunder Bay and stayed at a BW. Must say the BW really stepped it up a bit. Both places had major upgrades ad super clean and modern. The room was super nice and the bathroom really clean. The pool area was well organized and very clean. The continental breakfast is just all you need to get your morning going. We would recommend this Hotel... 2 thumbs up. Well worth your money...

The employees went out of their way to be kind and thoughtful. They were efficient with cleaning and breakfast. As a bonus, the breakfast is also delicious. This hotel is our favorite place to stay when visiting up north.

We enjoyed our stay at the Best Western in Minocqua. The location was good, across from the lake & a short distance to downtown. It is an older hotel that has been updated. We stayed there 2 nights. Walked downtown to the restaurants & checked out the shops. There is a bar in the hotel, so we stopped in one night for an after dinner drink. The bartender was friendly & informative about the area. Breakfasts were included. The beds were very hard, (not good for older bones), so my husband & I both had a hard time sleeping & ended up in pain after the 2 nights. I mentioned it to the gal when we checked out & she said she would note it that if we stayed there again we needed a room with pillow top beds. That choice was not offered to us when we checked in. They should get pillow top beds in all their rooms.

Great venue for dragon boating and a great place to stay during the dragon boat regatta!! We enjoyed the Torpy Park location for the race and the hotel and hotel staff for our 2 day stay in Minocqua. Definitely recommended. Walking distance (Park once at the hotel and walk!) to all restaurants in Minoqua as well as the "ice cream and chocolate shops (Kilwins) as well"

This Best Western is located within walking distance of the downtown area, Torpy Park, and Bearskin Trail, which makes it highly desirable. There is a nice lobby area to relax in and the breakfast was at the quality level expected. One of two rooms had an odor and it wasn't until checkout that we learned that first floor rooms are set aside for people with pets. Having no pets ourselves, nor do our friends who traveled with us, we would have declined first floor accommodations.

The bed was lumpy. It felt like an old crumpled vinyl mattress cover under the sheet Also the sheets were too small for the bed so they didn't stay on right. The shower head was nice but the drain was clogged causing standing water while showering. The room was clean and the location was great.

When we booked to stay, we were charged top price for night stay that would have cost us 50% less at any other similar hotel. We were told that there is no room with our request of lake view with similar requirement: two queen bed. Later I saw by my eyes that that was not true. During the crew cleanup, i saw that the rooms with lake view have two queen beds just like ours. The place has very small and smelly swimming pool; very tinny bath room without sink and mirror.

I am sorry you didn't enjoy your stay with us. Yes we do have lake view rooms with 2 queen beds but we do not have lake view rooms with 2 queens and a couch which was what you booked online. We would of gladly changed your room to a regular 2 queen lake view if one would of been available, but those rooms were already booked by other guests. We had a full house. I am also sorry you didn't like your remodeled room. Our hotel does offer more than what some of the other hotels in the area. I am sorry you felt we didn't. Our pool area is standard size for our hotel. Again I am sorry you didn't enjoy your stay with us. Thank you for letting me know.

Very comfortable clean hotel. Lake Minocqua right across the street. Walking distance to shops, restaurants, bar / lounges with live music! Good hot breakfast. We really enjoyed our stay, and will definitely come back.

This BW is very nice with lots of amenities and little extras that make your stay special. They have an excellent am breakfast spread, a really nice lounge and pool area and friendly check in staff. A park, beach and public pier is right across the street and you are easily in walking distance to shopping and good restaurants like Thirsty Whale, T Murtaugh's and Minocqua Brewing Company.

Spent 2 nights here and already booked for next year. Great location, right across the street from public beach and a block from downtown shops. Breakfast had lots of variety. Used pool both days. My only suggestion would be to bring an extension cord/power strip if you have a lot of things to plug in.

If you are going to visit Minocqua Wi this is the place to stay. The Best Western Concord is on the island within walking Distance to ALL shops, bars, and restaraunts. This little hotel had one of the best complimentary breakfasts I've had. Large selection, all hot and delicious. The staff are all professional and friendly. Great little hotel.

This hotel gets extra points for being in such a beautiful little town. A large lake is right across the street from it. A well supplied beverage center was near the reception desk. Besides the usual coffee offerings, it had a large dispenser of cold water flavored with watermelon chunks. Very tasty. The room was nice, not fancy. It had the sink in the room instead of in the bathroom. We were able to cross a fairly busy street and have dinner at a very nice restaurant almost directly across the street. Breakfast was typical fare. They did have some good French Toast available. Would definitely stay there again.

Nice pool and hot tub, clean rooms, full bar, friendly staff and a GREAT complimentary breakfast! Location is perfect for walking around town and there is a beach and park across the street. Mattress was oddly lumpy and uncomfortable.

We stayed at this property for 3 nights and was pleasantly surprised. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was nice sized, the AC worked perfectly, and the room was very clean. The bed was comfy and the pillows were good. Breakfast was the pretty standard fare of what you see in "free breakfasts" these days, but we did notice (and taste!) that the eggs were fresh hand made! I was quite surprised! Overall, I was pleased with this hotel and will stay here again.

I stayed at Best Western many times on ski trips over the years. This year it appeared the furnishing has been updated. It felt much cleaner than before. The front desk staff are very friendly and they also now added some nice touch in the lobby such as free coffee, tea, flavored water, and sometimes even cookies - a pleasant surprise.

My kids and I had an "unplanned" stay in Minocqua and, based on the advice of a local, stayed here for the evening. We were glad we did. Since our stay in town was due to some car trouble, the front desk even reduced our rate, which was a nice touch that we certainly appreciated. The hotel features a pool and large hot tub, which my kids assured me was "great". While not "special", our room was clean, tidy and fine for three people. The pillows were quite nice. The free, hot continental breakfast was quite good and featured everything from fresh fruit to make-them-yourself Belgian waffles.

The Concord Inn provides good value in an excellent location, walking distance to restaurants, bars and shops in Minocqua. It's nice to have a bar/lounge in the hotel as well. The staff are all friendly and helpful.

Came in with a large group for a work Xmas party. Check in was great. Rooms were nice and clean beds comfortable. Didn't hear any outer noise during the night. We all enjoyed the onsite lounge and the friendliness of staff and bartender Lisa. Pool looked nice hot tub was steaming (although we didn't use it) I would recommend and stay here again. Great downtown location.

Minocqua is a resort area with many lakes. We were given a room with a lake view, which we very much appreciated. The room was clean and quiet, linens crisp, choice of pillows. Staff helpful and friendly. Would gladly stay here again.

Got a room with a view of Lake Minocqua. Great location, close to a good brew pub restaurant. Breakfast was the typical type of breakfast with no extra charge. Nothing in life is free. Pool and spa area looked great but we did not have time to use that. Nice cozy fireplace in the lounge and bar area. Yes, I would stay here any time of year.

My mother and I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in October. During that stay someone entered our room while we were away shopping even though the "do not disturb' sign was out! You could tell that things were moved around and the tv channel had been changed. When I complained to the front desk person about the incident the gal was rude and said that it must have been a mistake by their staff. Mistake??? You don't enter someone's room when the DND sign is out by mistake! I wouldn't recommend staying at this hotel.

A little bit older hotel, but with upgrades. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was very good with a decent selection of foods. Don't forget to take a peek in the refrigerator below the counter for some speciality items like crepes or omelets. In the warmers, they had scrambled eggs along with sausage or bacon. In the bakery area they even had Kringle (Danish pastry...out of Racine Wisconsin). Other items included were hard boiled eggs, cereal, bagels, toast, English muffins, waffles, coffee, juice, etc. Friendly staff that you can tell take pride in their jobs. Nice location near the beach and the shops in downtown Minocqua. Also, if you have an electric car, you can use the regular 120volt plug ins (that they have for engine block heaters) out in the front parking lot and on the right side of the hotel when looking at the front (you can park in one of the three spots behind the hotel). The hotel was a little pricey but worth it - the check in gal Jenny was wonderful - she helped with booking the next hotel room at a BW which was of great help and comfort of mind to know. She also turned me on to the rewards program with BW which I did not have a clue on - but with her help it is a great rewards program. The hotel was clean and the wifi worked great. Hopefully will be back again soon! An outside designated place for smokers would be great...something enclosed for inclement weather.

The Motel was everything it claimed to be. Very well kept and quiet. The staff was always willing to help in anyway. Parking area secure and clean. When they say coffee 24 hours they mean it. The Breakfast was out stand and the meal area very clean.

This is a great place to stay. You are right there by the water and the downtown area and the restaurants. The room was very nice and clean. I would definitely recommend staying here and if I am going to be near there again, I will stay there any time.

The Best Western has a great location. It is located within walking distance to downtown and restaurants. The rooms are dated considering the price paid. It is pet friendly which is nice. The staff was friendly.

Was on way to meeting early Monday in area. Needed a good place to stop, was not disappointed. Only drawback was not having a onsite fitness room, breakfast was good and well prepared and presented. On site bar (lounge) was not a priority for me,but I suppose the clientele in the area needs it.

Hotel was clean, comfortable. Located in a picturesque spot on Lake Minocqua, very near the Minocqua downtown area.. Staff very friendly and helpful. Little to fault, an average mid market hotel. Friendly staff, room OK & breakfast included - pretty standard. Easy to find on the main highway through town. Lighting in the room could have been better.

Hotel is in the heart of downtown and within walking distance to shops and restaurants. This hotel is older, but in ok condition - not great, and could use updates. Breakfast was ok as well. The price is high for off-peak, and for the condition of the building. However, we stayed for the convenience of having everything close. Good walking/bike trail very close by, brew pub across the street and lots of window shopping within walking distance.

hotel is easy to find great location, easy walk to many places to eat and shop beautiful view of the water, and we could open the window and get a nice breeze while sleeping friendly staff and a great breakfast nice bar with TV so we could watch the game

Our stay as a whole was OK but the remote on the TV did not work properly, the outlets in the motel room were loose and sloppy. The staff was not too friendly. The breakfast was the best part of our stay. It was a tourist town so the price was high. We felt that we did not get our money's worth.

Hotel was in a great location. We were able to walk everywhere on the island. Hotel was somewhat dated, but great staff made it very accommodating for us. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend this to anyone wanting to enjoy all of the shops and establishments on the island!

We were with a group of ten, we stayed two nights on September 9th and 10th, 2017. From the time we walked in, to the moment we left, our stay was awesome. The staff, including the bartender, were so friendly and accommodating! I don't want to forget to mention the chef! The continental breakfast was really great! He made cheese blintzes, omelets and burritos as well as the regular breakfast foods! Thank you so much, all of you, for making our stay that much better! The infused water in the lobby, we also loved! The rooms were clean, very cozy and comfortable, bedding and pillows were nice!

Wonderful hotel and a great town. Breakfast was well prepared. Room was spotless. The location was unbeatable too. Everything in Minocqua was very reachable. My wife and I can not wait to return to Wisconsin and book again at the Best Western.

We requested and stayed in a handicapped accessible room in Minoqua, WI. It was nicely located and clean, with a nicely sized bathroom which was handicapped accessible. We were meeting friends and were able to enjoy the outdoor picnic area with all. The bartender and all housekeeping staff were very nice. The fee for a dog was quite reasonable.

The bed was extremely comfortable and had extra pillows. The lobby was inviting and had a cozy computer area. The check-in staff were very friendly and gave us ideas on where to eat dinner. It was also in walking distance of downtown shops.

Across the street from Torpy Park with a nice beach & playground. Very close to gift shops. A lot of great restaurants along Lake Minocqua! Pet-friendly hotel but can't leave pet alone in room. Breakfast is included & includes eggs, hash browns, sausages & waffles

the room was nice and clean. Breakfast has a lot to be desired. Oatmeal was totally disgusting. i was told by a worker that it is saved from day to day. (Gross). The woman who was on 3 to 11 was totally drunk at 5 am sitting out front. there was never any cream at coffee station let alone coffee. Thank you. we stayed in 303 fri the 18th through sunday the 20th. I was mad cause of the no cancellation policy and that my money was taken a month in advance. sincerly, Elizabeth Nelson

Thank you Lena for your review. I am sorry you did not like breakfast with us. Oatmeal is tossed every other day. There are other choices for breakfast scrambled eggs, waffles, sausage, bacon, biscuits and gravy fresh fruit. There is always fresh coffee in the breakfast room and in the lobby area. They were probably making fresh coffee. The lady on 3-11 was not on duty when you seen her and I have taken care of that issues. I do appreciate you letting me know your concerns. The Best Western Plus Concord is a 3 story hotel with elevator in downtown Minocqua right across from Torpy Park. They have nice sized rooms with a table & 2 sitting chairs. The room had a 40-50" flat screen tv with many HD channels. It had a small refrigerator & microwave. There were complimentary, free water bottles in the room. Breakfast was good-waffles, eggs, bacon, sausages, cereal, coffee & juice. There was no workout room but a full bar with cheap drinks. $4 martini's & cosmopolitans on Thursday $6 on Friday & Saturday. Wi-Fi worked well in the room. I was pleased with our stay and would stay here again.

Overall...not good. The room I was I. Had a bad smell. It was humid. Lights didn't always work. It could have used cell phone chargers on the nightstand.the outside appeared to be in good shape, but the interior needed some updating.

Great location if you are staying in Minocqua area. We could walk to dinner, shopping, the waterfront. We were on motorcycles and this location gave us lots of choices for a nice ride as well as be close to other activities and amenities. The staff at the hotel were friendly, courteous and provided great service. We would gladly stay here again. Our only alert is to not park under the trees (we were there in early August) as our bikes and surrounding cars, also under the trees, were covered in tree sap. A good bike wash solved the issue however. Thank you for a great stay!

After many years of staying at a different hotel, we changed to this one and am SO GLAD we did!!!! The rooms were clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. Complimentary bottled water was provided each day. LOVED the fact they let you know that the remote had been cleaned. :) Breakfast hot options changed daily. They had both gluten-free and dairy intolerant options for guests. :) Location is fabulous!

I visited the Best Western Plus Concord Inn in Minocqua in the beginning of August of 2017. I have been to this hotel before and their service has always been great, so I decided to come to this specific hotel again. Check-in was fast! I walked in and within minutes was already in my room getting ready for vacation. I used the hotel elevator which is very clean and pretty fast compared to other hotel elevators. Staff members are great! The housekeepers do a great job ensuring a nice stay for all guests at this Best Western Hotel. Beds are clean, bathrooms are clean, and they give you complimentary water along with a lot of coffee. The people behind the desk have great personalities and are always ready to help you. Pools are pretty clean. The hot tub was a little dirty when I went in the pool area, but the hot tub was cleaned without me asking by the end of the night. The pool is clean and large. Currently, there is only one snack machine in the hotel. I would recommend two snack machines for a hotel this size, but it is still nice that this hotel offers snacks. There are a lot of ice machines placed around the hotel, which is convenient for everybody. WiFi is fast most of the day, although during the night, it can get a little slow probably due to the amount of people using the free hotel WiFi. There are a lot of parking spaces around the Best Western Plus Concord Inn making it easy to find a spot close to the hotel entrance. I would recommend a fitness center. It would be nice to have a fitness center, but there are a lot of activities around the hotel, so I am not deducting a point for this. The location is also excellent, as you can walk to the stores and restaurants of Minocqua. After a short walk, you can also access stores in the Woodruff area. In the lobby, the desk agents have an area for complimentary cookies and a 24 hour coffee stand, which is also really nice. Lastly, the breakfast is great with a lot of options inlcuding scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, cereal, bagels, omlets, waffles, juice, and coffee. Overall, I would recommend this hotel because of its great location, friendly staff members, and excellent cleanliness.

Always comfortable accommodations at this property! Breakfast is a welcome addition to the stay! Complimentary copy of the local paper, Lakeland Times is a nice perk to find out what is happening in the area. Proximity (walking distance) to the downtown shopping area, restaurants and Torpy Park right across the street make this a desired location for staying in the Minocqua area.

I stayed 2 nights at this motel during a sales retreat. The rate was incredibly reasonable and bedroom was clean and comfortable. The staff was also nice and helpful. You are literally across the road from a lakeside park and close to trailhead for gorgeous state trail A special shoutout to their awesome hot tub! It was perfect for my many long hikes in the area. The jets are especially strong and great for us folks with arthritis

Nice hotel in a perfect location to see the lake and walk around to shops, restaurants, and pubs. Room was clean, beds were comfortable, breakfast decent. Price was high for the type of hotel, although comparable with others in the area.

Perfect location for up nort vacation. A park, public beach and brewery are across the street, Thirsty Whale pub and water ski show and shopping just a few blocks away. The hotel is excellent with plenty of amenities not found at others in the area. Rooms are well kept and very clean and the breakfast is awesome. I particularly like the waffle maker adding in chocolate chips and topping with strawberry syrup and whipped cream. Eggs, bacon/sausage, oatmeal.... much more than other places in the area. During the day they have fresh brewed flavored ice water and cookies.

Well, I was informed at the desk that when booking a hotel i am supposed to call the hotel to validate the booking. What kind of stuff is that. I booked a room with a "partial lake view" I got a room that the view was the entrance roof and the Hotel has it rated a a POOR view. The place was packed, and nothing was done to help me financially or points wise. I will be contacting Best Western corporate. The room was very clean and refreshing, except for the Roof view.

By far best location in Minocqua seconds from everything. Rates are good and staff is extremely accommodating. Rooms could use an update but it's the Northwoods so it's perfect. Breakfast included and there's a little bar in hotel. Indoor pool and huge hot tub.

Had a good experience at this hotel. Really glad that they have a bar in the building. It was nice to have a nightcap without worrying about driving. We were even offered free pizza in the bar. Staff was friendly.

Doors are close together and always had people hanging out in front of them. Probably because the front desk was so close. It made it difficult to enter with bags. Also staff was not friendly. It was 9:30 and checkout was 11; heard staff make comment 'They are still in there?!' Breakfast and room both good though. Parking is tight and front road is dangerous.

Stayed during a storm, Staff did a excellent job on watching weather, lit candles and gave us flashlights to use. Very caring staff. Lots of choices for breakfast. 24hr coffee station and flavored water loved it.

This hotel was very convenient to the park across the street, downtown, and restaurants. The pillowtop mattress on the bed was to die for! I've never woken up without something going numb or hurting in a long time but I felt great! Everyone was very friendly and professional. Did I say I loved the bed!

Visited here in January with a group on a XC ski trip. Hotel and rooms were clean, beds comfy, good continental breakfast even included eggs. Room included a small refrigerator and coffee maker. Open location of bathroom sink and mirror was slightly awkward for a non-couple sharing the room. Service was good. Nice swimming pool. Medium size breakfast/meeting room worked great for our wine and cheese party. Everything was satisfactory for this type of small lodging in Wisconsin.

Stayed at this location for the weekend for our anniversary and were very happy. We stayed in a whirlpool room and the best part about this hotel is the location. Walking distance to bars, restaurants and the distillery. Across the street from Torpy park.

Rooms were ok appeared clean however the bar next to the pool and kids game room is loud noisy and our kids had to listen to loud drunks using obscenities and talking about the male and female anatomy. Was very shocked to say the least! Lady bartender did not appear to care about the language being used and even laughed along with the patrons. Lady at the front counter was also sitting in the bar which is very unprofessional and tacky. I would not bring a family to this place.

In an area full of lakes and a huge summer population you can enjoy a clean friendly hotel without staying in a lakeside motel. Nice bar on premises, but no restaurant. The bar food is very limited in selection and quality.

This is there a really nice hotel located in downtown Minocqua. Very clean place and professional staff. Comfortable and clean rooms. Beds are newly updated and comfortable as well. The continental breakfast the offer is above average for hotels. The lounge is very relaxing and serves very good drinks. I would recommend this to anyone that is visiting the Minocqua area. I travel a lot and stay on a lot of hotels. So I would rate this in the top 9 or 10 of hotels I've stayed in

Nice place to stay close to the event and brewery. Walking distance to all the fun. Little older of a place but very well kept up. Freind you staff. Has a nice bar on site. Very friendly bar tender. We stay here all the time. Minocqua brewing Company is across the street. Great beer and Food.

It is a nice enough motel, but there was absolutely no customer service. Our keys didn't work from the time we arrived. They didn't care. I had to go back three times and only one out of three keys worked. She didn't care and she didn't apologize. Then we were put right across the hall from the ice machine and the vending machines. So there were people in there at all hours of the night. Not a great experience at all. At least the shopping was great.

My husband and I, along with another couple, stayed here two nights. The women at the desk were very pleasant. Kathy in the breakfast area was very helpful. Nice and close for walking to the downtown area for a bit of shopping. We enjoy the bar on premises, as we come back after dinner out. We have our after dinner drinks there. John was our friendly bartender. I always take a drop cord, with a three outlet plug, so I can plug in my devices. I am hoping when they upgrade, they will add outlets at the bedside stands. See you next year!

This hotel is average to poor on the whole. Do not pay extra for the hot tub suite unless you want to bathe in brown sludge! The breakfast was not very good, the service was poor, the room was not very clean, and the pool did have a bathroom (meaning that if you are using the pool you have to go back to your room to use the bathroom). However, the location was very good and within walking distance to most things in Minocqua, the bed was comfortable, and there was a cute outdoor seating area around back.

My husband and I stayed one night in the whirlpool "suite". It was overpriced for the value received. Very disappointing. The room was clean and adequate to stay for one night. However, it was old and small. The door, although shut, was not sealed and from both the inside and outside looked open with the light shining through. The bathroom was tiny with the shower almost on top of the toilet. The whirlpool is feet from the bed which is next to the window. Overall the room just needed a major renovation. We would not stay here again. To be fair, we did receive a free "drink" ticket which we did not use. We also did not use the pool or whirlpool.

Good location-right acress from the beach. I stayed for business but it is walking distance to restaurants and shops. Looks older from the outside but room was updated, comfortable bed and friendly helpful staff. I liked the large vanity outside the bathroom. Covered "fresh" TV remote appreciated. Good breakfast-I always appreciate a hot breakfast which includes scrambled eggs etc.

Positives - Really firm mattress. Password-protected wifi. Surprisingly quiet even though it is on a really busy street. Easy walking distance from Minocqua shops. Accommodating desk staff and friendly housekeeping staff. Neutrals - "On the lake" is a loose term - this inn sits on a busy street across from a city park which is on the lake. Breakfast is decent. Negatives - Room is pretty dated which doesn't matter for sleeping but lacks such things as sufficient outlets for charging multiple electronic devices. Toilet/shower area really tight and very dark. Overall an adequate place to stay.

For the area and for the money this is a great place to stay. Centrally located in downtown Minoqua with lake views, it has ample parking, a fine indoor pool and spa and the rooms are perfectly acceptable. This is not New York or the Ritz Carlton. But for the Northwoods, you will be very satisfied,.

Clean room, okay bed. I had one of the rooms on the second floor behind the awning. So instead of a view of the lake, I could see maybe a foot of sky way at the top, otherwise it was a close up view of the back of the folksy front entry way.

Stayed here on business for a night, and it's a very nice, average hotel. It's in a great location, right on the corner of the main strait and across from the public beach. The room was clean, decent size and the bed was comfortable. I don't think I would stay here if I was vacationing in the area, because it seems like there are a lot more "vacation rentals" available. The pool was subpar, and I didn't like how it was right next to the lobby. The staff wasn't overly friendly, but I wouldn't call them rude. I've had better continental breakfasts (but I've also had worse). Like I said, the Best Western was a perfectly average hotel. And there's nothing wrong with that.

From the moment we arrived, staff was friendly. The hotel is clean and while we were there they were updating the carpet in the lobby area. You would never have known, quiet work and cleaned up all along. Great job! New carpet looked new as well. The pool and whirlpool were clean and great for young and old! Exercise or just burn off some energy before a good nights sleep! The kids could swim and play all night and we were right there and with others looking on from the bar. Nice pricing for rail and name brands, don't forget to pick up your 2 for 1 coupon for beverages daily! We will be back! Thanks!!

Always a great stay at the Concord! Convenient to the lakefront, and downtown eating, shopping, & museums. Staff at Concord are pleasant and courteous. The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast is tasty & filling. Nice lounge area for cocktails or just relaxing.

This is recommended for the stay in this area as the facility is in a great location and easy walking distance to all of the tourist spots. Staff is very helpful. The Minocqua area is beautiful for riding and the main roads in kept up.

One night stay in this Minocqua property. Hotel is convenient to the downtown. We were able to check in early which was nice. Friendly staff at check in and the female staffing the lounge was also friendly. Room also includes a free breakfast and two buy one get one free drink in the lounge. Did not use the pool, it looks a bit small but clean. Room was clean and decor is what I would expect of most hotels. Toiletries provided, except for lotion. Bar is small, but easy to find a place to sit. They also have pizza, and a few appetizers to purchase if you are hungry. The breakfast selections were in need of restocking, but there is a fair amount of variety (once stocked) of both hot and cold items. Check out staff less friendly than check in staff, but except for that, all of the other employees were friendly and looked like they appreciate the customers. Heavy rain the night we stayed and had a large spot on the carpet where water leaked in. Upon check out, i felt like the young lady did not care a lot about this, but she did say she was sorry. Just wished the goodbye on check out was as friendly as the hello on check in. Except for those couple of things, would happily recommend this place. Also when inquired about the $50 gift card for two stays, she said, "Oh. You'll either get something mailed or emailed". She portrayed disinterest in conversing.

After a poor motel stay in Bayfield, WI (a different hotel) it was nice to stay at a property that was well kept and offered good amenities. Breakfast was great and our bed was very comfortable! We will stay at this hotel again on a future trip.

This hotel was quaint, comfy, cozy. They expend their hospitality to the upmost. Breakfast was a absolutely delight. Will definitely stay here again. The pool opens at 7am- 11pm. Excellent. Lake minocqua is directly across the street.

This place is perfect! The staff is fantastic, very friendly!! The rooms were really nicely updated, very impressed. Stayed here 20 years ago and expected the place to be old and dated. Far from it!! The amenities were great! Hot tub, pool, bar overlooking the pool, awesome! The location to downtown Minocqua is unbeatable. Shopping and restaurants to your left as you leave the hotel, beach and park to your right. If I had to say one thing negative about the place was the price. $152 per night including tax.

The hotel and staff are good for the area. This is about what you would expect. A basic hotel room that looks like it has been updated, the bathroom was very small and needs a little work. But overall it is pretty good. The price being charged for what you get is very overpriced. It is summer in a tourist town so they get away with it but it still leaves a bad taste. Good Hotel - Good Staff - Not a deal.

I stay here one night every year, and over the past 6 years this hotel has been consistently clean with friendly and helpful staff. Best location in town. Nothing fancy and not waterfront but directly across the street from town beach, playground and park.

Check in was smooth and friendly. One key card didn't work but a quick stop at the front desk and we were all set. The room had all amenities listed and we thought the room was very clean. Now we must tell management about Denise who is the shining star. She takes great care and pride of the breakfast area. She made herself available to help us and even went to get me some ice. The breakfast burritos were good, waffle machine worked great and I can't imagine why anyone would not find enough to eat. Even the eating area was spotless. We also enjoy the lounge area and in the past have enjoyed the pool area. We love the location and will stay again.

This hotel is nice, clean, friendly, and in a great location. Lounge is very nice and pool/patio are very pretty. Right in downtown Minocqua so you can cross the street and shop all the stores. Restaurants are close by. I stay here everytime I visit area.

This is an OK choice, although I must say that our pillows smelled fusty. That is so off putting. The bath is tiny and was dirty behind the door. Room was reasonably updated. Please update the row of anemic plants in glass containers at check in...sets a bad tone IMHO.

The room was large and updated but the bathroom tiny and dated. While the place wasn't shabby and clearly had been updated regularly it still felt old and tired. Breakfast was OK but not great. It does seem to be a place for workmen and business travellers rather than vacationers, but Minocqua is not really a vacation place anyway. Dining options in town are also very limited.

Room was very clean. Bath fan was noisy and toilet is low. Could use an upgrade. Breakfast was great, good variety. French toast was hard, but the rest was outstanding. Pool and hot tub was very nice.

Overall was alright, 2 of 3 desk people were nice. I was put in a room with a broken door frame, and did not secure properly, was left open after cleaning. Wasn't fixed or offered a different room. Did not get drink vouchers like other guests received. Very limited elect. plug socket locations.

The stay was very pleasant. The rooms were comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was amazing. More than what I expected from a continental breakfast. There were so many options to choose from. The kids really enjoyed the pool.

Snowmobile trip with 2 other couples. Perfect location to trail access as well as lots of restaurants. Room was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was hot and had a great variety. The in-house bar was nice and we liked the buy-one-get-one-free incentive! Staff throughout the hotel was very friendly, helpful and courteous! We would definitely stay again!!

We had a family reunion with three children and their spouses. Total of eight adults--four couples. We had a snowmobiling weekend. We flew in from Washington DC and Chicago to Central Wisconsin Airport (Wausau), rented cars and drove 70minutes north to hotel. Rented snowmobiles Hotel is great. People are friendly. Breakfast each morning free and fine. Rooms clean--a little 'dated' but perfect for the weekend. Able to park snow mobiles out front at night Would do it again!

Stayed here while in area to XC ski at Winter Park. Enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Surprised that it was not busier but fine with us. Breakfast was well organized with good choices. Downtown is within walking distance.

Spent two nights here as our primary purpose to visit the area was for nordic skiing at Winter Park. Our clean and quiet room was on the third floor. Loved the abundance of pillows on the beds. Location was great for us as we walked to places in town we wanted to visit or eat at. Front staff was very friendly!!

She and they told me that the rooms were great and the breakfasts were marvelous; much better than a higher-priced hotel in the same town and they loved the pool! The hotel is right in town and if you like Japanese food, sushi, it's about a block away. Island Café for breakfast is also close by, about 3 blocks down the street.

Hotel was clean and neat, breakfast and check in staff were great. Bar closed early (10:30 on a weekend) which was a key factor in choice of this hotel over one across the street. Would stay one more time, as previous stays were OK.

We have stayed at this hotel for 4 years in a row or so,and find it a great value. The lobby is cozy with a nice fire burning and they gave us a 2 two-for-one coupons for the little lobby bar, which opens in the late afternoon. The breakfast is much better than most US hotel breakfasts and included scrambled eggs, hard boiled, sausage, cream cheese, waffles to make and good syrup.

The Minocqua Best Western Plus was outstanding. Extremely nice atmosphere, friendly staff and close proximity to downtown Minocqua businesses and directly across the street from Minocqua Brewing Company. I will definitely stay here again.

We had a room on the third floor overlooking the lake. The sink was located outside the bathroom, with the bathroom being quite small. The room was comfortable and roomy with a refrigerator and microwave. There is a intimate bar area in the hotel and, upon arrival we each were given a buy one get one free ticket to use in the bar. We did not use the tickets this trip, but have in the past and enjoyed visiting with other guests. The breakfast room was very clean with the usual fare, but did have eggs, sausage, and one morning had French toast. The hotel is located in a great location to walk downtown or over to the lake.

Was a little disappointed in their house keeping over the New Year's weekend when we stayed at this Best Western. We got up late and went down to the pool around 10:00 and took the tag off our door so they would clean the room. We got back to the room around 10:30 and they didn't get to our room so no big deal so we got cleaned up and went to lunch around 11:30. When we got back later in the afternoon we found a laminated card in our door saying since we had the tag on our door in the morning they didn't clean our room. When we called the front desk they said once their cleaners are done for the day they leave so no one was there to clean our room. Now I understand people punching out when the work is done but the work wasn't done. So they said they'd knock something off our bill and they did a whole $10, as I said disappointing.

We had tickets to see Second City Comedy @ The Campanille Center in Minocqua & saw that this BW was offering 2 nights for the price of 1. This was a great deal. Hotel has been remodeled & is very clean & quiet. Staff was professional & pleasant. They offered more than a fantastic continental breakfast - it's the largest 1 we've ever seen. Pool & Hot tub were nice amenities. Walking distance to downtown.

I was able to get a special rate of $59/night because I was visiting someone who has kidney failure. That was the first thing that got me hooked. Another thing was, the breakfast. I have never seen a bigger spread of food at a hotel. Waffles, burritos, french toast, bagels and toast, cereal, fresh juice, scrambled eggs, sausage and even kringle. Room was VERY clean. Internet was so-so but I was on the top floor and a ways a way from the front desk so maybe that had something to do with it. Will be making another stay here in March.

A great view of the lake front from our room and a great choice of breakfast items prepared and served in a very clean and well decorated room. The service and selection of beverages in the bar/lounge was excellent. The swimming pool and the hot tub where clean and a joy to use.. We will definitely come back in the summer or fall for a visit.

Don't plan on having a good time at the lounge. The staff seemed annoyed with our group on 6 almost immediately. After reviewing my cc statement I had a random charge and they claimed it was because I took their clock radio and replace it with mine - couldn't be more of an absurd story. Seems fishy that when I questioned it, she was quick to remove it from my bill

Decided to stay here while taking a trip with my family over the summer to go out on our boat. Had a great time here. the hotel was central to the town and in walking distance to shops and restaurants, it had a lake view and for a budget hotel had a good level of service and room fitments - it is not really worth spending ectra for a lake view as it they are obstructed by trees plus the hotel has a car park and road between it and the lake side - also smoking is allowed at the front of the hotel and this gave us a disturbed first night as people were outside talking until the early hours of the morning - we moved rooms for the remainder of our stay

A+ accommodations. Had our doggie with us. Excellent location, excellent staff, great little bar for watching Packer game. Been here several times and never disappointed! Will come back again for sure! Clean, good location to down town.

We have always had good luck at a Best Western Plus. At the end of September, we were exploring northern Wisconsin and decided to spend the night in lovely Minocqua. Because of the location at the fork of Highway 51, you would expect it to be noisy, but it wasn't. We had a lovely room with a view of the lake. The bed was so comfortable! The staff were all so friendly and accommodating. They offered a very nice continental breakfast. I wish we could have stayed longer.

We arrived at the hotel with no reservations, but the Front desk person was very friendly and said that they only have two rooms left. she told me what was available and how much it'll cost including all the taxes and fees. The room was spacious clean and quiet. The staff was very friendly.

We stayed four nights on a hiking get away. You can't miss the hotel, as Highway 51 runs right by it in either direction. It is a great location in that you can walk to downtown and get on the highway easily. The desk staff is very nice (except when I asked about the housekeeping cards in the room) and the breakfast person is awesome and very accommodating. It is quite quiet for the high amount of guests during our Sunday to Thursday stay. And, the breakfast is really good. They may have breakfast burritos to microwave depending on the number of guests that night, but a very nice variety. Our room had a king bed with a desk chair and comfy reading chair. One thing though, the lake view rooms are not right on the lake, as there is the parking lot, road and beach park first. There is also a bit of semi and back up beeping noises on and off. I am not sure that the back side is quieter. There is also a small bar and a beautiful pool room that didn't seem to get used much at all. I would certainly stay here again.

Breakfast is worth the stay, best one of any motels we stay at on our many trips. Spacious rooms. Free WiFi means a lot to many people, but it doesn't always stay connected. I had to connect about 3 times per day. TV has nice selection in channels.

We have stayed at this hotel for many years while visiting Minocqua. Great location, clean and friendly staff. Breakfast could be a little more varied. Every day was scrambled eggs and sausage. There were many other options, however, this was the only hot breakfast offered other than waffles.

Even during a very busy event (Beef o Rama), the Concord did their best to provide a clean, comforable and fun atmosphere to all their guests. We have stayed here before and will again. This hotel is right across the street from a beautiful lakeside park. We stayed in a 2-room, sofa suite for 3 nights. The room was clean. The beds are comfortable (you can request soft or firm mattress). The breakfast was plentiful with eggs, sausage, waffles, and the other usual continental breakfast items, including French toast one morning. The breakfast area is roomy with plenty of tables. The hotel is about a block from the downtown area which has cute shops, restaurants and bars. The best part of this hotel is the staff! Everyone we encountered (personnel from check-in/check-out, breakfast, cleaning and bar) were super friendly and helpful. There is a swimming pool and hot tub, but we did not have time to enjoy them. I would definitely stay at this hotel if in Minocqua again and highly recommend it to anyone traveling to this area.

The folks at the Best Western in Minocqua were so easy to work with. It was the cleanest hotel that I have been in for some time. I checked all over to bed bugs, any pests, and dirt and found nothing. The pest control guy they have must do an amazing job. The breakfast was also very simple but tasteful. I will be back an if you travel to Minocqua, this is where you want to stay.

Our housekeeping staff and maintenance are all trained in inspecting for bed bugs and this is done daily by our housekeeping staff.
