    « I would stay here again »

Hotel is next to a gas station and a Denny's. There are no elevators so if you're on the 2nd floor, you have to carry your bags. There's a kitchenette with a microwave, fridge, sink and cabinets. They provide coffee and a Dasani water per person. Pretty wood floors and very comfortable bed and pillows. The only negative is the bathroom, it was small and I would have liked a shower instead of a tub. Continental breakfast is served until 10am by the lobby. The area is clean and the food is hot. The staff from the cleaning ladies to the front desk were nice and courteous. Thank you for a pleasant stay in your hotel.

    « Exceptional Best Western »

This hotel was very clean. The employees were made us feel quite welcome to stay at Best Western. They were very helpful in making our stay commendable. Their efficiency in getting us checked was exceptional as was their service. The smiles we received throughout our stay was quite warming.

« Surprisingly clean rooms and great staff »

They cleaned the rooms better than most of the hotels I've stayed in. They even wiped the water stains from the shower fixtures. The floors were cleaned daily. It was really nice to come back from work and not have to see the dirty stains from our shoes from the previous day. The cleaning staff worked hard all day long to keep up with maintaining the cleanliness of the exterior parts of the property as well. I'd definitely come back here. The beds were very comfortable and soft. It felt like there was a foam mattress. Thanks for everything!

« A very good hotel at a good price. »

I have stayed at this hotel twice and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a decent hotel at a good price. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the breakfast is very good as is the lady who runs it. A most pleasant experience. It is close to the train tracks which might be an issue for some but for rail fans like my grandson and I, it is a bonus!

    « A BIT TIRED »

We often stay here because it is convenient for us. It is a bit tired and dated looking but is always immaculately clean and tidy with very pleasant staff. It can be a bit noisy with the railway line but the cost is reasonable, the place is clean, the breakfast is great and the beds are comfortable. We are fine with that. we will stay here again.

    « Best Western Youngstown, »

old hotel. Carpets very old, clean, but old hotel, its age is showing. I would not stay there again, with so many options available in the area. Breakfast lacks items for Vegetarians, standard motel breakfast, not wonderful, but O.K.

« it's a nice place in the area of Phoenix »

If you stay near Glendale or Peoria, check out BW at Sun City nice staff, rooms are clean, décor is updated, although the property itself is a older motel, it is kept nicely. no complaints here. has a nice pool. the Breakfast is great, hot food, with a good selection. the housekeeping staff honored my request to not be disturbed, and left me a note for contact if I wanted service, many places don't do this kind of service. most BWs are really good places for the money. I would stay at Sun City again, as it is close to White Tank Mtns for hiking and Univ. of Phoenix Stadium, I stayed to see the Cards practice on Aug 6.

    « Visit Granddaughter »

Very nice, great location, wonderful staff. I would be back but my son and his family are moving. But if you are visiting this area this is a great place to stay. We were visiting surprise, AZ and the location to Bell Road is where everything we need was located..This is our second visit to this area and this was the best by far.

« Overall The Best Hotel EVER! »

Absolutely outstanding! It was more than I ever hoped for. From everybody we dealt with (from the front desk to the Breakfast Area) we could not have asked for such superb people. The comfort of the room, along with its amenities, was fantastic! I would highly recommend that everyone who is staying in the Youngtown, Arizona go to Best Western FIRST!

    « My Home for a Week »

Needed a room close to Boswell hospital and this BW is only 3 minutes away. Fabulous rate at only $56 per night. My room was ready before check in time and they had upgraded me to a suite without my asking. Free Breakfast included eggs, bacon or sausage, biscuits and gravy, oatmeal, yogurt, fruit and pastries. Also a gal who greeted everyone every morning asking if she could get you coffee or make you a waffle ??. Room was clean and AC worked fine. Ceiling fan was a nice feature as was the side mirror in bathroom for applying makeup. My suite had a full sized couch, desk, flat screen TV, fridge and microwave with a sink area and cabinet space for supplies. Room away from Grand Ave was quite. Staff always had a smile and hello. Hotel is older but rooms have been updated. Would definitely stay here again. Grocery store, gas and Denny's close. 40 minutes from airport. My room had inside hallway access. Some other rooms are accessed from outside. Room was cleaned everyday and they always left me a bottle of water which was nice since we had 113 degree days!

    « Immaculate »

The room and pool were immaculate. The bed was excellent, very comfortable. Bathroom is small, but again very clean. The pool, though not large, was cooler than the 109 degree air and very relaxing. It looked like it had just been renovated, or extremely well cared for as there were no cracks or stains. Excellent air conditioning. Refrigerator, microwave, and bottled water were provided. I did not have the free breakfast because of allergies, but my husband said the eggs were good. They were able to accommodate us with late checkout for a later flight following a funeral. I did hear the train go by, but it wasn't a problem.

« Not bad for a few nights »

I stay here once a year each summer. The rooms were updated about 3 years ago, but they get a lot of traffic. The carpet in our room needs a good scrub or to be replaced. Beds are perfect, firm and comfortable. The best part is the breakfast, the woman in charge is so sweet and accommodating. She makes and serves your waffles and is always ready with a coffee refill. Today was sausage patties and yesterday was bacon. The staff is great and always friendly. There is a laundry room, pool, and the family can pick up dinner and enjoy it in the breakfast room. It is very reasonable for a few nights stay.

« You don't get what you are promised »

What is promised is not what is given. Unable to use points. I was promised to be able to use my free points, but the desk clerk upon check in didn't know how or wasn't going to be bothered to give the points. On check out desk clerk said it was to late to receive credit for the free points.

    « Clean, comfortable »

The temperature was 117 outside, very comfortable inside. Room was very clean, as was breakfast area. Breakfast was very good, with many selections. Attendant was very well trained, attentive, helpful and kept the tables and food area very clean. She had a helpful attitude, smiled and was there to serve everyone. Good service all around.

    « Best Western Youngstown »

Right on Grand Ave so very convenient and surprisingly nice clean hotel for a great price! Choose to stay here over motel 6 next door and was quite pleased. Great beds and updated room along with pool on site. Highly recommend this property!

« Excellent value & Staff treats you like loved family »

Levee & Lourdes in breakfast room will feed you the best meal you will have all day. We had freshly prepared waffles, real eggs, bacon, sausage, fresh fruit, toast, biscuits& gravy, two kinds of fresh fruit, hot cereal with sprinkles& nuts, two kinds of yogurt, cream, 2% milk, cold cereal ( couple kinds), peanut butter, cinnamon sprinkles, I can't remember all of it. It was all good too! The ladies are so sweet and kind you will feel like a family member. The room was spotless . The linen is nice and the bed comfortable. We had a fridge, microwave, a table & extra chair, a couple of lamps for reading. The train came by but didn't bother us . Parking is free but there were two huge semis parked there that made it rough to get out. This place is a good value . WiFi not extra and I was able to watch a Netflix one night while husband watched a ball game. HBO too. Good value, and they should reward ( Best Western that is) the excellent staff . Terrific . Thank you . I will be back. Sue

« Best Western Sun City »

Room was nothing fancy or elaborate but very clean and seemed to be recently updated. Staff was very helpful and the breakfast was very good. Our room was close to the entrance and the road noise was a little loud - would suggest a room further back. Very reasonably priced. Would stay here again.

« Nice for a one or few nights stay »

Nice best western motel style, nice rooms and has pool. , breakfast was good and all staff really helpful. On main highway from Phoenix towards Vegas so really good after long fights so it brakes the trip, would use again

    « doctor appointment »

The room is very clean, the bed is comfortable, the staff are excellent and the breakfast is awesome. But the room is very sparsly furnished meaning the only chair is an office chair at the desk. So the only place to watch t.v., eat or otherwise have a conversation is the bed.

« Very Nice and Affordable! »

I travel for my job and find a few things i look for in a hotel to be vital. Clean, Comfortable and Professional. Lighting lately has been on the list for me and us ladies that wear makeup - leaning over the wide sink sometimes just doesn't get it. This property, wow A woman must have designed it. Lights with dimmers and the it could be bright and cheery with lighting as well. Not so dark. Enough lighting in front of a mirror too. Plenty of outlets available and not the ones you have to search and find under beds or couches. Bed comfy, i travel with my own pillow but the décor which i don't spend a lot of time on was spot on as well. very clean. Will stay again when in the area.

    « Visit Family »

Excellent hotel and excellent customer service, from the front desk to housekeeping, Especially impressed with the service of the breakfast attendant, she went out of her way to see not only the children but everyone in the room was taken care of.

« Stay away from the Suites clost to Grand Ave »

I made these reservations more than a week out. I was very certain about what rooms we needed. The young man, Joey when asked for a supervisor ignored me thinking he could take care of the reservation, he couldn't or didn't and the first night stay was HORRIBLE with a room facing Grand Ave. NO Sleep. Traffic and train all night. Second night we were moved to room away from Grand Ave. Much better, quieter. Couch was a bit old and dirty, but other than that fairly clean.

« Great place to stay »

I stayed in Scottsdale at an extended stay that was dirty, I came over to west Phoenix for business and decided to check out this Best Western, all I can say is it was a great experience. I got in after 1 am and the clerk was pleasant. The room was updated and clean, when I checked out the clerk was professional and helpful.

    « Well kept secret »

This property continues to update the rooms. Always makes you feel you are getting more for your money. Very clean, super hot breakfast with an attendant for extra service. Centrally located on major road. Sometimes you get to hear the train whistles - to remind you of olden times.

    « trip advisor »

When booking we were given a price that I thought was very inexpensive. Because of that I thought that there might be areas of concern during my stay but because of budget I still chose to stay. There were no concerns during my visit. I would say that this hotel would be reasonably priced $25 more than it's rate. The service, breakfast and room were excellent. No frills just a pleasant place to stay.

« Sun City, Az Review »

I stay here quite often and all the rooms have been redecorated and always clean on the inside as well as the outside grounds..The full breakfast is always hot, tasty and exceptional service. The only drawback to this hotel is that it is on a busy street and near railroad tracks.

    « Family Trip »

I was greeted upon arrival by a pleasant young man (did not get his name) after a very long trying travel day due to a flight delay which helped end this day on a higher note. Although this is an older property my room was very clean and seemed to have been updated recently. The complimentary breakfast was all I could ask for nice selection and plentiful. Complimentary news paper also provided which I read by the pool with my coffee before check out. I would definitely stay here again

    « Great Suite! »

We were very pleasantly surprised by the suite we stayed in at Best Western Sun City. It was spacious with laminate flooring throughout. It looked like our room was in a newer section of the hotel so my opinion probably doesn't apply to the hotel as a whole, but I was happy with our room. The only thing I thought could be improved was that there wasn't much seating for the free breakfast (which was good). Overall we got a great value for around $100!

« Very nice and reasonably priced »

This room was very clean and comfortable. Everything worked well with no issues. I will stay here again if I'm in the area or passing through. The staff was very pleasant. The highway noise was a little loud however my room was right next to it.

« Sun City Inn and Sucks »

Jacked up shower/bathroom; No maid service; Goofy, inept Front Desk staff; Poor billing - getting charged an extra night we did not stay; 90 degree pool temp! Really? Dork coffee maker. How can you advertise that one? Just pull it and say you don't offer coffee in-room. Really? Sun City had decent beds and a good Continental Breakfast....after that, it falls off the cliff. We will not be back and offer no reference to others we know who may stay in the area. Really, cheese operation.

    « vacation »

very nice hotel have always a pleasant place to stay in Youngtown Arizona. tommy dewitt was very helpful and professional. the lady in the breakfast area was named Lourdes and was extremely friendly and provided great service. we have stalyed at this hotel in the past and always enjoy our stay. will always consider staying at this location next spring training.

« Nice hotel nearby to MLB spring training stadium »

This motel is close to Peoria AZ where we were going to see a MLB spring training game. It was easy and convenient to get back and forth from the motel to the stadium. While the room was not the cleanest on check-in, it was okay. Mostly, the carpet is a little dated and could use a cleaning. The bed was comfortable, and the motel was quiet. The hot breakfast was very goo, and the attendant was super nice. We stayed two nights and enjoyed our stay. We would stay again.

    « Price was right! »

Ok...just got back from our annual Spring Training trek to the Arizona desert. I'll break it down: PRICE: Value for what we paid (less than $150 per night) was good HOTEL: Rather worn and old looking from the outside yet grounds were clean AREA: Very urban, no walking paths, somewhat industrial CONVENIENCE: Very good! A QT (gas & store) next door, shopping plaza within 1 mile ROOMS: Caveat Emptor! PLEASE NOTE: This Best Western is probably 40 years old, however there was a NEW addition built perhaps 10 years ago. The ROOM pics you are seeing are from the NEWER area. The laminate floors that you see are in the newer section. HINT: ask for the newer section. Our room (even though in the older section) was fine, bath was newly renovated. BREAKFAST: Good selection, scrambled eggs, sausage/bacon, waffles, yogurt, fruit coffee and juice. Nice ladies served up a pleasant and clean environment. HINT; Eat outside by the pool...the breakfast dining room is rather small and very warm. STAFF: All staff seemed well trained and cared. POOL: OK...small yet clean....a bit warm for for a quick dip OVERALL: Why an average rating? When we first pulled up, we were a little surprised that this looked like the ol' NO-TEL MOTEL, entrance to the rooms from the outside, but with prices no soaring into the $300 a night price range for something a little nicer, this will do. ALSO, please be aware there our TRAINS that run right across the street....we woke up every morning with the 6 AM "horn blower" every morning. There was nothing spectacular here and nothing that was horrible. AVERAGE rating.

« Best Little Hotel in Youngtown »

This hotel continues to be our favorite in the Phoenix area. The employees are customer focused and do everything they can to make your stay enjoyable. The hotel has a 'down-home' feel. Reasonably priced.

Nice, clean hotel centrally located to fields and any amenities you may need. We will defiantly be returning to spring training so we will be coming back to stay. The Salt River white water rafting is not that far away and was a blast as well. Thank you very much.

« Great location for our needs! »

My wife and I went on our first trip to the Kansas City Royals Spring Training Camp. We had purchased tickets for games at both Surprise and Peoria, AZ. stadiums. We were looking for a hotel that would be between the two sports complexes. The Best Western Inn & Suites was in the perfect location! Each stadium was about six miles from the hotel. As a bonus...the hotel was also less than 30 minutes from White Tank Mountain Regional Park. A beautiful place to hike! At the hotel we received a friendly greeting and the staff was very helpful with our questions. Our room was clean and it appeared to be newly remodeled. The beds were comfortable and we each had a good night rest. At breakfast we were greeted by a very enthusiastic hostess. She was willing to get your coffee, prepare a waffle or do what was necessary to make your breakfast a pleasant experience! Excellent job! Besides the normal fare, some days biscuits & gray would be offered. Other days scrambled eggs and sausage would be served as a hot menu choice. The combinations changed daily. As for other meals, restaurants such as Denny's and Jack in the Box are a close walk from the hotel. There is also a Quick Trip next door for grab and go items. There are many great restaurants in the area only a short drive away. My wife and I were very pleased with our stay at this Best Western and we would definitely return again.

« Good value for the area »

The front desk was friendly an helpful at all times. Need to remember "you can't judge a book by its cover. The outside was rather plain and worn looking but the rooms were a pleasant surprise.Freshly painted, new laminate floors, fresh comfy beds, and nicely tiled bathroom. Overall very nice. Cleaning was good with a few exceptions-floors looked nice but felt dusty on bare feed. We stayed for three days, but noticed housekeeping didn't do a thorough job of wiping counters or furniture tops. We always leave our rooms ready for cleaning so it was disappointing to see coffee spills still on the counters. There were no toiletries left on day 2 or 3. The breakfast room was well staffed with two extremely friendly attendants who poured your coffee, made waffles, and found you a table in a very small, crowded room. The food was standard but nice and warm and well stocked. Pool area was nice with plenty of chairs and lounges but there never seem to be towels. Other guests were friendly and families seemed to enjoy the pool. Depending on traffic, which is big in the area, it was a twenty minute trip to the Peoria Sport Complex. About the same to Surprise. Spoiler Alert : be sure to ask for rooms in the back. Loud traffic from the very busy street and train. Bottom line: I liked the price and the motel but not the area.

    « Spring training 2018 »

This is a two story motel, Rooms are nice sized as are the bathrooms. My room was nicely appointed and exceptionally clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was well above average- the service at breakfast was exceptional. The pool is heated to 90 degrees- nice way to end a dat at the ball park- The motel was very well located for the two games I attended in Surprise and Glendale. Overall this Best Western excedded my expectaions-

    « Great value »

Breakfast was great! The pool is heated...a huge plus! A grill is available to use in the pool area, and the hotel provides tools. The floors are not carpeted...which I like! The wi-fi worked well. The location is fairly close to shopping and a couple ball parks.

« Surprise near Surprise, Arizona »

This property should be avoided at all costs. The trains that blow by all day and some during nighttime hours is a great feature not mentioned. The room had poor water pressure, a pink stained toilet seat sized for a child, dislodged closet doors, entry key cards that failed repeatedly, bad smells in the room and a phone handset that had visible dirt build up. Only positive aspect to this property would be the helpful and friendly staff.

« nice stay at Best Western »

nice big room. all employees were very courteous and friendly. breakfast was plentiful and good. loved the popcorn in the evening. bed was very comfortable and room was quiet (probably because we were in the back and didn't hear the traffic and trains)

    « Terrible service »

Faulty coffee machine poured boiling water all over the counter top. Visited reception at 8:00am to report it and was told they would replace it. Returned that evening and noticed my room had not been serviced or the coffee machine replaced. Phoned reception before 5:00pm and was told the housekeeper would pop up. At 6:00pm I walked over to reception and was told that housekeeping had now left for the day. No coffee, no cups, no soap, no shampoo or other consumables, I had to make my own bed, empty my own bins. The receptionist couldn't have cared less!

    « 2016 trip phoenix »

overall very good . some problems in that we wrote a note for additional coffee, tea and cups and did not receive them. also, cleaning staff did not leave additional paper cups on one occassion of our stay

    « Served our purpose »

Hotel was nice, clean, friendly enough staff and convenient for our activities in the area. We had hoped to find a good bed and breakfast but things in the area fill up quickly and are quite pricey. This worked. I was a little skeptical by the industrial look of the area around the place - and the trains we heard when we arrived in our room - but it was quiet, good bed, value with AARP or AAA discounts

« If you like a lot of noise, this place is for you. »

Stayed here for 3 nights this past week. Location is good for going to Surprise Stadium. We were in a "king suite", room 406, front corner of the hotel at the intersection by QT. The traffic noise was incredibly bad - absolutely ridiculous. I don't think motorcycle drivers in AZ know how to accelerate without revving their engines all night long. Between the traffic noise and the train literally vibrating throughout the room when it went through across the street, we hardly got any sleep for 3 nights. Seriously considered switching hotels, but thought we'd tough it out. Since the a/c unit didn't have a "fan only" option (which I would have used to drown out some of the noise), our solution was to get extra blankets and turn the a/c down where it ran more often. Better insulated/sound proof windows would probably do wonders here. Don't plan on relaxing by the pool, because the traffic and train noise makes that impossible. No pool towels available the 2 days we tried to use the pool. The "king suite" hasn't been renovated/updated since probably 1980. Horrible fluorescent lighting, cheap laminate flooring, had 2 phones in the room and one didn't work (not surprised since they were ancient), couch from the '70's, bathroom at least 30 years old, shower head was so clogged I think about only 1/2 of the holes were clear, towels/bath mats were tattered/frayed. Initially I thought "well, it's clean"....then I found a used washcloth in the tub when I pulled the shower curtain back. The hallways were carpeted, and again - in dire need of replacement...or at least cleaning! They smelled horrible and weren't vacuumed the entire time we were there - obvious dirt was everywhere. We opted to not eat at the buffet - looked like a madhouse every morning. Walked over to Denny's (which needs a thorough cleaning also). Woman in the parking lot said they had been staying there for 3 weeks, her daughter had thrown up in the parking lot by the sidewalk (this was Friday). She cleaned out her car and left the bag of trash in the landscaping. Both of these things were still there when we left Sunday. Check in front desk employee was friendly, as was TJ when we checked out. For almost $200/night, there are better quality hotels. Won't return to this location.

    « Great Value »

I stayed here for a week during baseball spring training to watch the Texas Rangers. The hotel was conveniently located near the stadium and public pickleball courts. In addition, several places to eat were nearby which were great value. Namely, Brenda's Kitchen, Tivoli Gardens, Archie's, and The Irish Wolfhound. I always ate breakfast at the hotel and was never disappointed with the great service and selection. My major complaint was a finicky card reader on the front door to my room. This door also had a sheer drape which let in light from the adjacent parking lot. However, overall this was a great value compared to the hotels in the area which all raise their rates during spring training.

« Reasonable Price for Spring Training »

We visited the area for Royals Spring Training. The hotel was conveniently located to two fields. Breakfast was hot and filling, the staff was very warm and welcoming each morning. Our bed was comfortable for a good nights rest :)

    « Lourdes the Great »

Great location for Texas Rangers or Kansas City Royals spring training games. Nice buffet breakfast, Lourdes does a great job to make everyone feel special. And, the hotel is right next to a QT so you can get your drink fix. Make sure to get a room away from the road. We didn't have any noise problems but the highway and the train can distract those on the front side. Overall, I would stay there again.

    « I need a firm mattress. »

The staff are awesome and go out of their way to be helpful in a relaxed manner. They truly are good people. The sleeping accommodations were not suitable for our old bodies. We were concerned about the floor trembling, until the train noise was distinct.

« Comfortable highway hotel near Sun City »

We stayed here because it was close to family we had come to visit. Check-in was easy, the room was adequate and we found all of the staff to be friendly and helpful. There was some highway and train noise but we did not find it disturbing, and it was nice to be able to have the window open to enjoy the cool desert air. We would stay here again.

    « Phoenix Visit »

Stayed in this hotel for a few days while touring the area. Overall, the hotel is OK. Breakfast quality was very good and the service there is excellent! The outdoor pool is an attraction for families, but the noise level continued until after 10PM. Also trains pass by and blow horns loudly during the early morning hours. Not something you can do much about but be aware of it. Rooms were average but clean.

    « Great value »

We chose to stay in this hotel for a nice Valentine's weekend away. We were pleasantly surprised! From the outside the hotel doesn't appear to be what it actually is, so my best advice here is don't judge a book by it's cover! The room decor inside is very upscale and modern, the rooms are comfortable and surprisingly spacious for a standard hotel room and the beds are very comfortable! (if you like a softer bed, like I do). They have great high speed wifi in the rooms, and like other reviewers have said, the breakfast is incredible. They have free hot breakfast every morning in their dining area, and I was very impressed. After staying in many different hotels of all different star levels over the years, this one had the best breakfast I've had yet! The lady that works in the dining area is also incredible. She poured our coffees for us and brought them to a table, and even cleared our plates when we were finished. She did this for everyone, and the dining area was full continuously! The only downside we experienced in this stay was we were in an outside room, and there was definite road noise and train noise off and on throughout the night. If you're a heavy sleeper like I am this may not bother you, but I don't think my husband slept much.

« Good hotel, clean and a friendly staff. »

The hotel is easy to find, located on Grand Ave./US60. Clean well appointed room with microwave, refrigerator and coffee pot. Good bed, slept good and comfortable. The hotel is located in a high traffic area, railroad tracks close and near Luke AFB. but not real noisy. Staff is extremely friendly and a excellent breakfast buffet.

« Been satisfied with brand until ... »

I have recently been staying at a number of different hotels for business. I have stayed at couple of Best Westerns and generally been pretty pleased. Pictures and reviews had been fairly good for this location so I booked room. Check in was smooth. When I entered room first thing that caught my eye was couch all torn to hell. Everything else seemed nice since rooms look like recent remodel. Don't understand investing in room upgrades and not replacing cheap vinyl couch. Also floor was simulated wood that was buckling and felt very spongy when walked on. I did receive call from front desk to see if I liked room. After I shared my opinion they found me another room that was better. Still had cheap vinyl couch but not damaged as much(still damaged). After getting AC to work rest of stay went just fine. I will say I was very impressed with staff and how they went out of way to provide good service.

    « Nice, but noisy »

Older BW property situated near to a very busy main highway and railroad tracks. Car noise, train noise and screaming kids in the outdoor pool don't make for a very restful evening. On the positive side, the room we had was obviously recently renovated and was excellent. Hardwood floors, pleasing paint scheme and new furniture were much appreciated. Refrig and microwave in room, along with a coffee & tea service. Hotel is pet friendly and check-in was efficient and brief. There is a Denny's restaurant very close, but other places are a ways away.

    « beware of trains »

we needed pet friendly, however the room smelled dirty and musty. the trains run by at least three times in early morning hours just across the street and are loud. staff were pleasant and beds were comfortable.

    « cleaning odors? »

The room had an unpleasant odor, the carpets were dirty. The check in area had an unpleasant odor. We checked out 5 days early. We had an exterior door and it was very noisy from the traffic and other customers.

« Do not let location scare you off »

Even with busy road and train tracks when it came time to sleep it was quiet. The service was great and the lady taking care of the breakfast area was VERY helpful and it was we'll supplied and clean. Bacon was very good and milk was good and cold. We would return.

« Close to arizona cardinals stadium »

$20 cab ride to the stadium. Less then 10 min ride. I went to see Green Bay Packers. Unfortunately they lost. But the game was good. The game went into overtime. Now the super bowl has no good teams this year. The hotel was nice though. THEY HAD POPCORN IN THE LOBBY. That's worth the visit alone.

« Staff was great, noise was bad »

Was in town for training in Glendale. The hotel was clean, staff was nice. Breakfast was good. The only issue was the noise. Did not get much rest because of the train that woke us up twice during the nigh and a couple rooms near us were very loud till 2am.

« My stay for the National Championship Game »

The best customer service I have experienced at any hotel. Everyone was extremely helpful and pleasant. Hotel staff, breakfast staff and maids. I would recommend this hotel to everyone. We were attending the National Championship football game. I booked the suite since the additional price was not much more. It was great to have the extra room and sofa to hang out with some of the downtime we had. Great value!

    « BCS Bowl Game »

We booked 4 rooms for the the 2016 Bowl Game. The hotel was 4 miles from the stadium with easy access to and from. The hotel is older but extremely clean. The front office staff are efficient, friendly and professional. The Suites were very large and roomy. Everyone enjoyed their stay.

« Nice pet friendly room. Love the hardwood flooring »

I was told checkin is at 4 pm. I arrived at 4 pm, after driving all day, ready to relax and my room wasn't ready for another hour. The room was very nice for a pet friendly room. Love the hardwood flooring. The bed was comfy. Only issue, besides not being able to check in, was the road noise. Its' very close to a busy highway. Even with a towel tucked under the door, I could still hear noise all night long. The breakfast was good and many choices.

« Great suite for a very affordable price »

If was not surprise to us that we would have road and train noises because we read trip advisor first. Neither of these interfered with a good night sleep. The bed are very comfortable, the internet and TV were fine with no problems with exception of our remote broke and it was promptly fixed. The front staff is very, very friendly and helpful. The dining area staff for breakfast was the highlight of our trip! Both woman were so helpful, they got us coffee to our table and made our waffles for us! They were repairing the front walkways while we were there so we had a minor adhesive smell one night. They should be done with this by now. We stayed 5 nights and felt we had great value for our suite. Plenty of space to spread out and not feel on top of each other. I would stay here again and request a room not next to the main road.

We have been staying here for a couple of weeks while waiting for our house to finish getting built. Overall the Stay has been great. HOWEVER the past three days there has been no internet, Spoke to the front office and who has wifi with no problem. indicated that they have called to get this fixed and they are not sure how long it will take. Well that is not acceptable at any rate. I have dealt with all the other minor issues but part of our room rate is to cover that internet expense. If it is not fixed today, I will be checking out tomorrow and going to the QUALITY INN and SUITES until our home is ready..

    « Extremely Disappointed »

Upon our arrival immediately went to front desk to ask for different room, street noise unacceptable. I was told no other rooms were available to check in a.m. Spent 1 hour after midnight locating a store that sold earplugs. Went to front desk first thing following morning to request room change was assured that new room would be ready when we returned that evening. Upon returning were told they had no room for us. We were never informed that all entry's would be under construction, epoxy coating on sidewalks. Security latch was on hallway door had to have manger let us in also parking lots closed. That evening went to other members of family attending funeral to ask when they were checking out & if they had a queen or king size bed. Went to front desk to request a specific room. We had 8 family members staying there. My wife & I spent 2 sleepless nights. We booked what we thought was one of your best suites, laminate flooring separated with sharp edges, couch & chair had been clawed by a cat or dog. I've spent numerous nights in your hotel visiting family, I spent time on my last day looking for alternatives for up coming holidays & future. I'm extremely disappointed with this hotel. We will continue to stay @ your San Simeon Best Western we found your ocean suites there delightful this past summer. Respectfully Submitted Scott Paulson

Since I have stayed at this location many many times in the last year, I decided to book thru the front desk this time instead of online. Huh, I wanted a specific location, back building upstairs preferably. I was told to book online. I WANTED A SPECIFIC LOCATION AND BOOKING ONLINE DOES NOT PROVIDE THIS. I was told there were rooms available too in the location I asked for. This is not acceptable for the person to deny my booking over the phone. Hope the manager responds with an apology.

« great place to stay »

this is a great motel to stay at when you travel to phoenix area. Close to all you need, shopping eating and extras. and if you need help to find anything just ask, and great breakfast to start your day

We came to see family in Sun City and had a lot of problems. First the pool was ice cold. This was the part our daughter really looked forward to. It took until Saturday to get the pool running. This was disappointing but when we found cockroaches in the room that was TOO much. We took one to the office there was no offer to change rooms. Since arriving home I have tried multiple times to reach a manager. He has not called. I am worried that the roaches might have come home in our clothes! One was in with my daughter's toothbrush when we opened the case. The breakfast was wonderful but I wonder now if there were roaches in the kitchen. We will never stay here again. La Quinta has my business.

« Bowling trip and Thanksgiving »

We tried to get our hotel in Chandler BW, but they were booked and so we had to settle for a competitor and this was just as good as BW. We went to Albuquerque for Thanksgiving and then to Sun City for a bowling tournament and stayed at the BW in Youngtown. This was great place to stay even though the trains ran through the night. They did not bother us.

Everything about this hotel was perfect. IT was very clean , comfortable and accommodating to my family. Not to mention the heated pool. and hot breakfast was a plus..... High Speed Internet was excellent like we were at home.

    « Nice Hotel »

Very clean hotel - friendly and accommodating staff - excellent breakfasts. The only drawback to staying here is the train track - right across the street from the motel -I am a light sleeper. We stayed at this location once before - the trains must not have been running at the time of our first stay - I do not remember hearing them.

« Fine to stay near Sun City »

We were traveling to visit relatives in the retirement community of Sun City, AZ. This hotel will certainly do the job if you want to be near your beloved elders in Sun City. If you want to be in the center of Phoenix- stay elsewhere. This is a functional hotel on a busy street near the railroad tracks. There is a Frys grocery store nearby, but not many restaurants. The rooms are big and comfy and the staff takes good care of you. The breakfast is your standard Best Western Breakfast. We also enjoyed some hiking and biking at White Tank - not far from here!

    « Somewhat disappointed. »

So far the wi-fi won't stay connected with my cell phone for more than a minute or two at a time, even though they advertise free wi-fi. So every couple of minutes i sign in again.Thought we had specified that we wanted a king bed on the first floor in our reservation, as my wife is a heart patient but the front desk did not seem to want to honor that so much. We did have one large group of guests that were filling the parking lot with loud Mexican Music earlier.

« nice stay, room small »

we were here for NASCAR this past week, our main issue was the room size and lack of handicapped ramps/parking spaces. Our room was clean, staff was very nice, but parking is tight and can be noise from other rooms and trains, so get a room in rear of the property

    « Better than expected »

Hotel was the first in Youngtown so old but just recently re-painted and remodeled so our room was "new". Since it was old the sink area was very tiny but everything was nice and clean. The room had everything you needed including plenty of receptacles for computers etc. Plenty of eateries withing 4-5 miles.

    « Fantastic stay »

This motel had great rooms, a great staff, a wonderful full breakfast with waffles, eggs, etc, and lots of nice small touches (like popcorn in the lobby, bottled water in the rooms, and clean towels by the pool). It would be difficult to find a better deal for the price.

    « Hotel »

Basic hotel room. Clean. Great staff. Decent complimentary breakfast. Small pool. No spa. poor tv picture. Can't beat the staff though. Next to train tracks. Really loud train Blare occasionally. And old style toilet could be upgraded.

    « trains »

The hotel sat across from a major train route and the trains blow their whistle just as the get in front of the motel. Made for a restless night. the pillows were hard and on the small side. The breakfast was good but the room is very small and can get very crowded. Very nice motel, just dont a room in the front.

    « Older hotel »

I know that they had a remodel but the new wood flooring in the room I stayed must have been installed over the carpet pad it felt weird and spongy. Also I just had knee surgery and wound up with a room on the second floor, no elevators for this hotel.

« Best Western not the best »

Pros - Comfortable beds, free popcorn in the lobby, complimentary water, free wi fi worked good. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was good. Had a separate sitting area. Cons - Faux wooden floor squeaked and almost pinched my feet. TV had snow on every channel. Toilet almost overflowed--wouldn't flush properly. I wound up dropping the water bottle into the tank to keep the water from rising so high so that we could use the toilet. Computer in the lobby didn't work and the fax machine didn't work either. The people in the room next to us were very loud--paper thin walls. The door was really scratched up and the shower was chipped.

    « Loud »

The rooms that the front desk agent stated were the "best" rooms were loud, and across the street from the railroad tracks. The train woke me up at least twice while I was trying to sleep. The rooms are not well insulated, and I could hear just about every footstep and their tv above me. They went to sleep before I did, but the noise was palpable. I did ask for a different room, the type didn't matter, and was told that the only other room was in the same place across from the railroad tracks. If these are the BEST rooms are across from the tracks, I would question the decision, those rooms should be at the back of the property. I paid WAY to much for a loud room. I know I won't get it, but i want my money back. This hotel sucks.

« Adequate for a night or two »

Although the name implies that this hotel is in Sun City, it is actually located in Youngtown. Not a big deal as it is quite close. What is more of a big deal is the physical location. This motel is set up in the typical horseshoe layout with a building extension on the street side made up of additional rooms. I don't know what it is like inside the horseshoe, but the rooms in this building located on the street are LOUD! There is a train track directly across the street and boy do you know it when the train comes by! Apparently the trains do not travel during the night as they did not wake us, but the cars and trucks on that street, on the other hand, continue throughout the entire night. That noise never stopped. On the positive side, we have no complaints whatsoever as to the room itself. Nothing fancy, but just fine for a place to sleep. The room was very clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable. There was a coffee maker, mini refrigerator, and even a microwave oven. The best part was the complimentary breakfast. The biscuits and gravy were amazing!

« Nice but too close to the railway »

Quite comfortable but can be disturbing due to the close proximity of the railway. It is however convenient for the north Phoenix area and if wishing to continue north and avoid the terrible Phoenix rush hour traffic.

    « GREAT STAY!!!! »

This hotel was chosen after a horrific experience at another hotel. What a pleasant surprise this turned out to be. The staff and other guests were super nice, the room was clean and comfortable. One of the best things about this stay was the breakfast! Absolutely wonderful!!!!! The train goes by across the street but it was not bothersome. The pool was warm and well maintained. Definately will stay here again! KUDOS to the staff at this wonderful place

« Avoid the Family Suite »

We stayed in the family suite, off the main lobby. The train sounding like it was running through your room several times during the night. The hotel staff kept us awake past 4:00am. Their rec-room was next to us. The water to the toilet was turned off. We didn't stay for breakfast, but it looked average.

    « Good Nights Rest »

This hotel is across from a railroad track and also on a busy street. We visited it twice for an overnight stay. The first visit we were close to the road, the second I requested being in the back. The road and train noise did not affect our sleep, however it was much less noisy in the back. The room was clean, the bed very comfortable, it had a fridge, and a coffee maker with good coffee. The breakfast was very, very good!! They had a very helpful attendant in the breakfast room. The people at the front desk were welcoming and friendly. A great thing place was we were able to park directly in front of our room. That is a plus when you have a lot of stuff.

« The Best of Best Western »

When I arrived Friday 9/25/2015 to check in, as I walked in the doors the gentleman at the front desk greeted me by my name. That shocked me because I have not stayed at this hotel before. The professionalism of the staff all weekend was very awesome and I will stay there again if I'm ever down that way. I had asked for the 2 rooms that I reserved be together and when they could not get them together your staff upgraded my rooms at no charge to get my rooms together. Now that shows that the staff you had on the weekend of 09/25 through 09/27/2015 care about your customers. They all deserve recognition for the services.

    « PWT »

Train running in front of room, people smoking and talking loud outside room, white stain and two oily/wet stains on bed, broken shower head, closet is a shelf, pleather chair looks like it was burnt and is competely peeled, the fake wood floor is warped. So gross. Anyone that thought this was 5 stars has zero class. I wont even leave my stuff in my room because of the locatiom (busy street) and questionable people lingering. It is 11pm and people are yelling in the parking lot. Tripadvisor you done me wrong on this one.

    « Great service »

In spite of the great reviews on TripAdvisor, I was a little skeptical when I drove up. I was pleasantly surprised as the room was very clean and staff was friendly and helpful. They had several little touches, like bottled water in the room and a truly helpful attendant at breakfast. I've been at full service restaurants and not seen that level of attention to detail. It was a great value!

« A cool oasis in the heat of Arizona »

This was a very nice little hotel in the Sun City area. It was 97 degrees outside but the air conditioning worked well in our room and the bed was very comfortable. The continental breakfast was excellent with the best home made biscuits I have ever had at a continental breakfast. I would definitely stay here again.
