« Will not stay again »

Nice hotel, but will not stay here again. Other BW hotels are nicer. The 61st Hotel has problem with the room refrigerators, but the breakfast was slightly better. This hotel had a sign posted that effective November 30, 2016 it will no longer be a BW hotel. Stay somewhere else.

« Decent Hotel and Good Service »

An older hotel but, newly renovated clean, good sized rooms. Price was also very reasonable. The clerk at the front desk was very helpful when my wife and I were looking for a place to eat in the area. Every person that worked at the hotel was very friendly.

« Decent Hotel and very reasonable »

Hotel is older but nicely renovated rooms with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was good with eggs and sausage and biscuits and gravy. The only negative thing is there is no elevator so I carried my luggage up one flight of stairs. Hotel is 2 stories. As I was leaving an employee carried my bags back down so at least they seem willing to help.

    « Traveling Through »

The room was ok the bed was comfortable, but the breakfast was terrible. If you drink decaf coffee there was none available and if you like orange juice it was watery. A one night stay in this hotel would be okay if you are passing through.

    « Basic »

If you would have difficulty walking stairs for any reason be sure to ask for a room on the first floor. There is no elevator and it would have been nice to have been told this when I made the reservation, as I had called the hotel directly. We just don't care to haul luggage and whatever else we bring up and down stairs. There was no designated kitchen area. The coffee maker was on the counter with the only sink, in the bathroom area, and could not be moved elsewhere. Who wants to make coffee where you brush your hair? The refrigerator and microwave were across the room by a bed. The beds were hard but the room was clean.

« Outstanding service and value »

This hotel and staff provided outstanding accomodations and service. Well worth the cost due to professional staff and clean comfortable rooms. I would stay here in the future and recommend this hotel to others that are traveling to Sand Springs, Tulsa OK area.

    « Overnight stay »

The hotel was clean. the room was very noisy. The refrigerator made noise all night long. The air conditioner stopped running at times. It took some time to get it started again. The breakfast was ok. The hot food was not very hot.

« Always had been a good place to stay »

Have stayed there may time and always been treated well. This last time I woke up to see picture in my bed yes yuck he sprayed the room immediately when I told him but was going to keep me in same room I could not stay in the room any more. And then told me he had never had any problems until I stay in there. We'll I travel for work a lot and never have had this happen and I don't think this was the way to handle the problem I let them know with out makeing a big seen and don't think I got the treatment I should have after finding them in bed with me

    « Weekend trip »

It was wonderful. Cozy comfortable furnishings very accommodating staff. Everything looked and smelled clean and fresh. Somehow the issues w a handicapped friend did not show up on invoice and we had been assigned a room at the far end which would have been very difficult for my friend to get to. The room was changed to a much closer one with no issues at all and staff made sure she could get to it easily. We plan to stay there again on our next visit to Tulsa.

« Bad smell in room »

Check in was good. Desk clerk was very efficient. Room had a strong unpleasant smell and we found a roach in the room. Got a free bottle of water during check-in. Breakfast was standard-nothing outstanding. Hotel was in a poorer part of town.

« clean room except for the roach »

First of all we were in room 124 and it had a strong smell when we opened the door. We started the air conditioner hoping that would help. We left to visit with family and got back about midnight. The smell was still in the room and there was a roach on the bed side table. Breakfast was standard with egg patties, sausage, biscuits with watery gravy. waffles, pastries, cereal, fruit. Nice size room but the smell ruined it. It is located in more of an industrial area.

    « Room Review »

There is no elevator so be aware if you have a lot of luggage ,,If you do not like the smell of cigarettes you might want to choose another place,,we stayed in a non-smoking room but you can still smell the odor,,Also when we walked into our room there was a dirty towel hanging on the door which grossed me out right away, told the front desk and the guy barely acknowledged me..overall nice area of town to stay..

« Decent place to stay »

Desk clerk was very helpful when we checked in. The room was clean and as we requested a non smoker is did not smell of cigarette smoke. The beds were comfortable the linen clean. A bit rushed the next morning and couldn't stay for breakfast but it did look good. Overall not a 5 star place but it has been remodeled and is a good place to stay.

« last year at octoberfest »

was great desk clerk was super and always helpful clean easy to get to and great for the show we stayed 5 days going back for linde octoberfest very soon also told some friends to go there some even switch from holiday in

« Wedding in Sand Springs »

More of an industrial area, but the newly remodeled interior was very nice. Restaurants and shopping areas are not too far off. Route 66 is just over the river and east on 41st St. We like Best Western's, we just switched over last year and haven't been to a bad one yet.

    « Accidental Stay »

Originally had reservations at a nearby Hampton Inn, but due to room flooding Hampton GM made arrangements for room at Best Western. Easy to locate, outdoor pool, huge rooms. Room & bathroom were very clean. Will definitely keep this hotel in mind for next visit. Room was quiet & comfortable beds.

    « Convenient, ok price »

It is above avg but not "Very Good." The room is standard. Far enough from the highway so no road noise. Breakfast good enough. Pool had no shade but clean. Had outside door and inside door to hallway as well.

    « Good Lodging »

The hotel was clean, the bed was comfortable, a good breakfast, and the staff was helpful. Nothing fancy, but clean and adequate. The interstate was convenient to get off and on to the hotel. Would return next trip. .

    « good room »

a good standard room ,,clean all i needed ,,,thank you ..when traveling ,,which i do not do very much ,,all i need is a clean room a coffee pot and a decent size tv to watch and relax for a while ,,, in this case all was there and i was pleased to get to rest for the night ,,,

    « Friendly Place »

Staff friendly and helpful. Requested condiment at breakfast that was not out and the staff member searched until he found it and brought it to me! Room very pleasant and well stocked. Only negative was the shower head that was low. Would recommend overall!

    « Great »

Staff is very friendly. Rooms are clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this motel. A/c works great. Very nice pool outside. Defiantly stay again when in area.Alot of good restaurants down the road.

    « Comfortable & Clean »

Guys trip for golf tournament. Made reservations a couple of weeks in advance. Staff called me the morning of stay to confirm since they had sold out for the night. Assured me of the rooms we had requested and made sure we were located on bottom floors. Desk clerk was very accommodating and made sure everything met our expectations. Will stay again if in the area. Great value for everything they did to make our stay comfortable and relaxing before and after our rounds.

« Best Western more like Worst Western »

Best western more like the worst western....If i could have i would have put 0 stars. This hotel is the worst .....the pool was supposed to be opened but it wasn't......the beds were so uncomfortable i had to sleep in the chair that was more comfortable than the bed ......we wanted go to the Tulsa zoo so we used the book from the hotel and it lead us to a random house and we were late to the zoo......the book said it had an exercise room but we checked and asked .Ends up it doesn't even exist. They really need to update the book . I was very very disappointed with this hotel because I went to visit my brother and it made my time ok because of my bad experiences. Also my grandma is handy cap and we asked to be put on the 1st floor but we were put on the 2nd floor.I will probably never go to that hotel again I hated it. I suggest if your going to Oklahoma never go to this hotel it's the worst .

    « Good stay »

Was easily found off the interstate and although it seemed to be in a somewhat industrial area (warehouses, empty large retail store next door), it was quiet and seemed very safe. Was very impressed with the young man who helped me with the reservation. Same person greeted us when we arrived and was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and had everything we needed. Had trouble with the cable tv but when we went to ask, someone immediately came back with us and fixed it. Although we will probably never be that way again, I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone that doesn't want to stay in Tulsa -- this is only a few miles west and easy to get in and out of. Plenty of places to eat nearby. Breakfast was adequate. Can't say anything negative about this place.

    « OSU Graduation »

We stayed in 3 rooms during our trip. All of the rooms were very clean and very nice rooms. Microwave ovens, mini fridges, irons, and hairdryers were provided. The most impressive part of our stay was the friendliness of the staff. I was given the impression that they take pride in their facility. Both times I approached the staff, once for my key not unlocking the outside door and once for extra towels, Grant immediately responded and I really don't think he could have moved any faster or tried any harder to assist me. Very impressive with his service. Thanks alot!

    « Best, Best Western »

We stayed here for a week while on a church work trip. We came to the Tulsa area to help repair homes damaged by the March, 2015 tornado. The hotel has been recently remodeled and is exceptionally clean and beautifully maintained. Our host gave us a very good room rate and treated us warmly. There was a good breakfast every day with a nice selection of food, including eggs, sausage, biscuits and fruit. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are in Tulsa. It is less than a 10 minute drive to downtown.

    « Still Great! »

I come to Sand Springs every other year on business. I usually stay at this hotel and they've managed to keep it up to the quality I expect. I have never had a bad experience at this property and the price is right!

« clean and good service »

Very clean and organized great service well taken care of food of your choice close by. all your favorite shopping needs with in 2 miles . I will go there every time I go to visit family in sand spring

    « Bad Experience... »

A/C room temp is restricted by management. A/C broke because of their forced temperature restriction. After multiple attempts by staff to fix the problem, we ended up having to change rooms in middle of night (after exhausting day) as result. Extremely inconvenient. To top it off, the staff never checked the alarm in the room they moved us to and the previous customer had it set for 5 AM. So, after an extremely long day, we're forced to change rooms in the middle of the night, finally get to sleep, only to be awoken at 5 AM by a screaming alarm clock in a dark room, which couldn't quickly be turned off. Lights on to figure out how to shut it off. Never got back to sleep. I brought it to the attention of a man and woman working the front desk the next morning, but it pretty much got laughed off. As a paying customer, I fail to see the humor... Also, on a side note, the hotel has no elevator. I'm the type of person that often turns down offered compensation when businesses have problems, because I'm a business owner myself and understand that "s**t" happens. However, the gesture is always appreciated and in this case, the gesture wasn't even made, even after multiple inconveniences which a customer shouldn't have to deal with.

« Clean, roomy, and friendly staff »

I am not very familiar with Tulsa so I was a little unsure about where to stay. I was quickly taken care of by the friendly staff. The room was clean and the king size bed was comfortable. I like the size of the room as well as the fridge. I would stay there again. The only down to the hotel is they do not have a working elevator to get to the second floor.

    « Our experience »

We have stayed at this facility several times and have always found it to be top quality, and meets our needs. Look forward to future stays. The staff are friendly, the rooms comfortable, and quiet. Close to Tulsa with shopping opportunities close by.

« first time to stay here »

Our stay was a gift, and this hotel was picked due to it's proximity to the BOK center. the hotel is very convenient to the BOK. 5 min away. The hotel was easy to find. The staff was nice. The room was clean and neat. We did not take advantage of the breakfast, so not sure about that. My only complaint was the smell of the room. I had read a couple of reviews before we went and people had mentioned a cigarette smell in the nonsmoking rooms. I didn't really find that it smelled like an ashtray, but when we walked into the room there was a very strong odor. We couldn't figure out what it was. It kind of smelled like sweaty children. LOL. We finally decided that it was the air unit. When we left, I went up front to tell the staff...a man listened to me and said he would take care of it...but didn't even ask my room number. He seemed to want me to hurry up and finish my statement about the room so that he could continue whatever he was doing. As I walked out I kind of yelled the room # to him. I have my doubts that room 118 smelliness will be addressed! A positive was that at checkin, we were given an upstairs room. We asked if we could get a downstairs and the girl was very nice and was able to accommodate us. I might stay here again, but I would want a non-smelly room. If it weren't for the smell, I would rate higher.

« Staff makes it a good place to stay »

Staff was fantastic, hotel is clean, breakfast is good, hotel has been updated, but it is still an old property that is in a poor location. Great to save money if stopping while on a long trip or need to be in area, other than that, not a place to select to stay.

    « Guest »

Other than the cigarette smoke, the motel was outstanding. Nothing fancy but very comfortable. The hot breakfast served was very good with many choices. The staff were all friendly and accommodating. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Even though we had a smoke free room, as soon as we entered the hallway, the cigarette smoke was very noticeable.

    « Pleasant surprise! »

I may be a bit of a hotel snob. Traveling for business, I typically stay in downtown 3 to 4 star hotels with full service restaurants etc. For this trip, I wanted an outdoor pool, close to my relatives home, economical, safe, comfortable, clean, etc. My initial search let me know right away that there weren't a lot of choices in the area, and nothing like a full service Marriott or Hilton. I picked this one over the brand new other brand hotel up the street because it was closer to where I needed to be and the rate was better. I was crossing my fingers that I hadn't made a bad decision. When we arrived fairly early in the day we were greeted by Mac, the assistant GM, working the front desk. He graciously allowed us to check in early which we appreciated. We went to our room, which was a suite. It was very spacious and decorated with furniture you would expect to find in an upscale New York hotel. (I don't think all the rooms are decorated to this extent. I did get a glimpse of another room that was more standard hotel furnishing but it was still spacious and clean. The room was clean and well lit. There was a whirlpool tub in the room as well as in the bathroom. We were at the end of the hall and enjoyed the quiet atmosphere. We went for a swim in the outdoor pool that was clean and well kept. Mac and another employee made it a point to tell us about the fireworks display that would be on the river that night, which we greatly appreciated. The hotel is older but has recently been updated. I grabbed a quick breakfast on the way out the next morning. It was a light menu with the standard cereal, muffins, waffles, juice, fresh fruit. Certainly more than adequate and met our needs. We were there only one night but I'm thinking we will certainly be back. Oh, almost forgot to mention the awesome walking/bike trail just across the street. Very handy!!

« The best service I could possibly ask for. »

Came to Best Western to stay for a few weeks. Once I got off work it would be around Midnight, so I was in constant contact with the night clerk Tony, he's one of the kindest people I've met and is sincerely concerned if things are to your liking. In the morning Maria is one of the few I see and she's incredibly kind and I've yet to see her without a smile on her face. The General Manager Bobby is someone who makes sure you're doing okay and has no issues giving you directions to places and restaurants. I've done a lot of travelling and Best Western goes above and beyond for their guests.

    « Really helpful staff »

We checked in here for a two day stay to visit family living here. The staff were friendly, and we later found out that the person checking us in was the manager of the place. One knock was that the pool was being revamped and was not operable, meanwhile the temp was 95 degrees outside. All other things about the hotel was up to Best Western standards, with the staff offering suggestions for directions and things to do.
