    « Nice stay »

We stayed here for a night on a Saturday and had a good experience. Our room was very remote and we did have to walk a little way, but it was worth it as it felt very private and the hotel was booked full that night. The bedding was clean and comfortable. We used the hot tub and it was clean in the pool area. We wished it was open later on Saturday night so we could use it when we came back to the hotel, but it closes early. Overall I would recommend this hotel to stay at. Very good experience.

« Not worth the price »

For the rate they charge for the rooms I would expect working wi-fi and housekeeping services without having to request it. During our 3 day stay not once did the wi-fi work. The first day we did not receive any housekeeping services and had to call and request them for the next day. Overall the room is fine, nothing spectacular, and definitely not worth the price.

    « Decent Stay »

We stayed at this hotel for business, a group of five in 2 separate rooms. The staff service was excellent. The building seemed a little out-dated, with peacock décor and dark brown brick hallways. There was no ice machine on our floor, but it was an easy trip down to the 2nd floor, it wasn't super far. Check-in & check-out were very quick and staff was professional. The restaurant/bar that is attached only serves until midnight, since they close at 1am, their last call is apparently at midnight. There were plenty of other bars within walking distance if you're looking for nightlife. There is NO continental breakfast. If you want to eat something in the morning you have to sit down at the attached restaurant. Unfortunately, we did not have time to sit down and eat, so we went to get breakfast on the go somewhere else.

    « Great! »

Great value for the wedding group we were with. Happy to find a hair dryer in the room as I forgot mine. NO one in our group had any complaints about the rooms that we were staying in. Fun time! Looking forward to another stay there.

    « Restful in Cloud »

I had called the front desk from my car upon arrival asking where I am supposed to park and they were helpful. Also, front desk was knowledgeable of my arriving late. The staff person was aware of my room # and had my room key for me. They expedited a quick check-in due to my late hour arrival.

« Lovely suite! Strange location! »

We were delighted to get the last room after a long day of travel. It turned out to be a beautiful comfortable suite along the river. To get there you had to go down long corridors, down 14 steps, and the room appeared to be a cave! Finding lights and a window, we discovered a very nice suite. Worked out well!

« On the bank of the Mississippi »

A great hotel in Saint Cloud. My room over looked a very narrow Mississippi River. Quite different from the Mississippi further south. The room was clean as was the hotel. I would stay again if in Saint Cloud.

    « Small room »

Very small room. Was not told that the room was not a typical size of a normal hotel room when I booked. Also had to walk outside to gain entrance to the front desk and hotel lobby. Room was insulated well from noise. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful

    « Business trip »

Nice place friendly people. Main atmosphere updated, rooms are behind about 15 years or more. Beautiful view of the Mississippi River, a few blocks from a local college. Saint Cloud is a nice spacious community.

« Last night of a two week anniversary trip »

When we checked in we where very happy with the room. It was spacious and roomy in the bedroom area. The bathroom is very small and the toilet is very short. You must close the door to get into to shower/tub. The beds need some serious help--lumpy and when we woke in the morning there was a large bed bug crawling out with me. The promise of a clean room was not fulfilled on this visit. There was a used shampoo in the shower and dust covered lamps. The rest of the room was clean. Just was very disappointed with this visit. What a way to end what was a perfect 30th anniversary trip.

    « St Cloud visit »

The hotel and rooms were very nice. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The beds were very comfortable. Even being uptown the view was nice and the rooms were very quiet. The adjoining restaurant was also delicious and reasonable.

    « A Gem of Central MN »

This is the 5th year, staying one weekend a month at the Kelly Inn. The building continues to be refreshed in the high traffic areas such as elevators, hallways and entrances. The rooms have the best mattresses and bedding I've slept on, better than I have at home. The TV's are current models. The Internet service is consistently very good. Rooms are well maintained to a high degree of detail. The staffing is of course, the key to to each of these items. From when you call to schedule, arrive and check out, they are more than friendly and after a few stays, remember you. After 5 years, this has become a welcome second home. Making the work weekend less work and more a visit. During the time off the local area has places we have made favorites. The staff make the Kelly Inn, a gem this region of MN.

« First time stay- will return »

Spent 4 nights for business conference. Excellent staff! Great bed. Clean hotel. Good food. Nice bar. Great connection with Civic Center. Wonderful down time by the river. Only complaint is the musty smell throughout the hotel and suites coming from the close proximity to the water.

    « Mold »

Stayed here for a conference at the convention center. I won't stay here anymore. I have allergies and the old building is full of mold. The ancient, worn carpets tell you that no one is interested in fixing this old place up and making it match the nice convention center its attached to.

    « bad »

The room was about the size of a closet. The stool was 1950s very low small. The room was clean but so very small. The $100.00 we spent to stay there was a very bad choice for us I am 69 yrs old and have never been taken like this. There was not even an piece of toast in the morning.

« The place to stay in St. Cloud »

This is a fantastic hotel. The staff are wonderful. The restaurant prices are in line with local pricing, and the even the pool is at the exact comfort temperature and not over chlorinated. Great experience...I can't wait to have the opportunity to stay here again.

    « Nice Hotel for a Conference. »

Stayed here for the ABE LAN Summer Institute. In a former life I worked in the hotel industry so my reviews are quite rough. My expectations are quite high and I demand quite a bit. The Best Western Kelly Inn was able to deliver in most areas. Some areas needed work but I do have to say that they strive for your business by making sure your stay is comfortable by meeting your accommodations as best as possible. They are not the 5 star competition but you get treated with dignity and respect s if you were. Service: Very good due to the high quality staff of front desk. Knowledgeable and friendly. During the conference there was a high volume of check-ins and high volume call inns and while all of this was going on guest complaints and inquiries were coming in. I observed and the FD staff did a great job handling each guest with privacy and respect. Cleanliness: The room I stayed in was a double queen room. There was dust collection on multiple surface areas not easily visible to the eye. On the ridges of mirrors, on top of lamp shades, top of curtains. Allergen aware. Underneath the toilet bowl a quick wipe down revealed it needed to be scrubbed down. It looked clean but a toilet paper rub down under the bowl rim shows a bit more than rust stains. Other than those two cleanliness issues the room was well maintained. The sheets were clean, the bedding was maintained, the room fridge and microwave revealed no food and mold residue, so it was sanitized every time or at least wiped down. The cleanliness is better than most places that claim themselves to a higher standard so I rate it average. Overall, I came for a conference and will end up coming back one day with my family because I enjoyed my stay that much. I recommend you stay at least 1 night, dine in the Green Mill, watch some TV on the comfy beds and just enjoy the room.

« Wet Mattress and damp carpet in room 123 »

I have stayed here several times. This time was the worst. The mattress and mattress pad were wet. I didn't notice at first cause they had put dry sheets on top of it. Also, the room seemed very humid because the carpet was damp. I complained and all they could do for me was give me a different pair of sheets and mattress pad. They said there were no other rooms available. They would not provide a refund either. VERY disappointed that they did not acknowledge the problem. Also their internet in the business room/library was VERY slow.

« Best Western Plus, Kelly Inn, St. Cloud, MN »

We booked the hotel through Hotel Storm and received a great discount, which was not available on our return stay. However, the hotel met our needs and we would stay again. My husband is a patient at Mayo Clinic. We were sightseeing on the weekend.

« Price is too high for what you get »

We paid $149 per night, and there was no breakfast provided for that rate. For a standard room, that is pretty pricey. The room was not very large, so the price was too high for the value received. The pool is nice, and the cleaning staff is very friendly and helpful.

« Better double and triple check your reservation »

A couple months before our wedding, I had called to reserve a block of rooms for our wedding. We didn't have any issues with that. I had to talk with a manager to do this and to get approval. While on the phone with the manager, I also booked a night in a jacuzzi suite for the night of the wedding. I didn't tell my fiance this at the time. She had called a week or so before the wedding to book a room and they told her they didn't have anything with my name on it. Telling me this a few days before the wedding, I called back to make sure we didn't double book anything as the manager was the one who was supposed to have booked my room and figured she didn't make a mistake with the process. The front desk was very helpful in telling me that they indeed did not have my name on file for a jacuzzi suite for our wedding night. Then they double checked my fiances name and said they didn't have the room on file that she had also just booked a few days before. After double and triple checking, I had them book me another room and transfer me to the manager's phone. I left her a message explaining all the problems we had booking rooms for our wedding night. No one ever returned my phone call or followed up on anything. On the night we were leaving for our honeymoon, my wife had me listen to a voicemail left by someone from the front desk. This was left the night of our wedding letting her know if she didn't come check in for her room soon, they would have to give her room to someone else. She had already checked into my room and stayed one night at this point and my room was under my name and phone number so we didn't understand why they'd be calling her phone. I called back and had them double check and triple check again to make sure there was nothing booked under her name. They agreed there wasn't anything booked under her name and told us we wouldn't be charged anything against the card she used to hold the room. So all being said, I have no idea what was going wrong with your system or staff, but everything we had to do with you leading up to our wedding night was really nothing but chaos and a giant headache.

« Centrally located on the Mississippi »

This is a convention center in downtown Saint Cloud. The parking was quite a distance from our room. The view of the Mississippi was nice. The staff was friendly and professional with great service. We got a good night's sleep, but the hotel is showing signs of wear.

    « 080616 stay »

Overall, your hotel was nice. Just our room stunk of cigarette smoke. The restaurant was good (we have the same restaurant in New Ulm and we felt the quality and presentation of the food was a lot better in New Ulm)

    « Excellent hotel »

Comfortable, affordable, easy access to downtown. Wonderful, helpful staff staff. Great bar/restaurant--staff are friendly and accommodating. Hotel was busy, but had quiet sleep. Love coming back every summer for family reunion.

    « Downtown location »

I spent one night here and I thought it was an average hotel. The lobby and hallways are renovated but my room didn't have the same new decor. One thing that always bothers me about hotel rooms is when the Ac unit is very loud when it turns on and off, and this happened to me here. Makes it hard to sleep. But the room was clean and the hotel was overall quiet. They also allow dogs which was awesome. Within walking distance to my good places to eat.

« Perfect for a Night in Downtown St. Cloud »

Went on vacation to visit my old college; wanted to stay in a hotel with a view of the Mississippi and walking distance to downtown. Got exactly what I wanted. Hotel is in perfect location to walk to campus, and downtown establishments. Parking is free and I could leave me car as I safely walked throughout the area. The staff of the Green Mill are wonderful and uber-friendly.

« Nice place Good price »

This hotel was very nice. It looks over the Mississippi River. It is a big hotel with lots of conference rooms. Everything was in good shape and the staff was very nice. The room was nice and comfortable. There was no free breakfast.

    « Beautiful! »

Definitely recommended for all sorts of travellers. Beautiful scenery from the rooms, and lots of windows in the lobby to look out on the water. Beds were like sleeping on a cloud. Only down fall is that there is no breakfast included, but if you can get past that I'd highly recommend this hotel :)

« great pool, great for downtown events but.... »

You know going in there is no breakfast buffet and you know the price so if you want a downtown location or if you want a pool, this is a good place. The breakfast at Green Elm is mediocre at best, the room is small and there is not a morning newspaper. You can get more value elsewhere.

    « Great view »

Nice comfortable hotel. Modern room with fridge and microwave. There is a place to eat and have a cocktail. If you're visiting the St Cloud Hospital ask for a special rate. There is a great view of the river. Has a indoor pool.

    « Nice, clean rooms »

We stayed in room 361 which had two queen beds and a lovely view of the river. The hotel was full, but we easily found parking. Our room was spacious, clean and the beds were quite comfy. The bathroom was quite small and not brightly lit, bu was also very clean. In room coffee, hair dryer, free wi-fi. Nicely located. Green Mill restaurant is attached to the hotel.

    « melted ice cream »

I was initially very excited to stay at this hotel. River View, down town Saint Cloud, indoor pool, etc. I was immediately turned off when I got there because there was nowhere to park. Then I find out they don't have a free continental breakfast. I then walk down to the pool at 9pm thinking all the rotten children would be in bed but no! There are dozens of them running around screaming and throwing dodge balls at each other all night. Fail!!!

    « Good Location »

Good happy hour at Green Mill and nice location downtown. Nice room and friendly staff makes the Kelly Inn a perfect place to stay in St. Cloud. Pool closes at 10 which is a little early in the summer.

« Clean, comfortable and congenial »

We had a large room with a king-sized bed and a view of the river. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was spotless and the bed comfortable. We ordered dinner from the restaurant attached to the hotel and the food was awesome. There was no breakfast option but a Perkins was close by and the hotel offered free coffee in the lobby (as well as in your room). We were passing through and will probably never be in St Cloud again but I will have good memories of my stay there.

    « Excellent Customer Service »

I booked a one queen bed room through an online company, but my situation changed and I needed either a roll-away or another bed to accommodate another family member who was coming. The manager and employees bent over backward to upgrade me without charge to a two queen bed room, because I was in dire straights. In this day and age when so many people forget the "people" factor, I was blessed to see a company that tried its best to help. I highly recommend this place. The people who run it will make you feel special!

    « Poor restaurant »

The service in the restaurant was horrible. I was turned away because the kitchen was backed up. The next morning we could not get a mimosa because the bartender didn't show up. We could not be seated outside and when we ordered water and coffee it took so long that we just left and went elsewhere.

    « Great Hotel Experience! »

We were in town for a wedding and spent little time at the hotel but walked away with a very positive impression and the thought that we'd stay here again if in the area. First off, the front desk staff were very friendly and we were checked in with little wait or hassle. Once in the room (standard one bed room), it was very clean and comfortable! The decor was nice and up to date and had nice amenities (nice size fridge, microwave, etc). The bathroom was a bit small but with sink on outside area it worked out fine. The shower was very clean and roomy - Nice high shower head and drain worked well. Lastly, the bed was very comfortable! We both slept very well! The rest of the hotel was quite large and was clean as well. The pool area was nice but pool did look a tad small (we however did not use it). The view from some parts of the hotel was very nice as it overlooks the Mississippi River. Couple other things to note - They have vending machines that have many staples including a bottle opener! They also offer recycling which for us is a huge bonus point for any hotel or resort! Overall I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone in the area!

    « Awesome Room »

Much to my surprise I was given a huge room for the same cost as a normal room. We were very impressed! We always stay at the St. Cloud, MN Best Western and will continue to do so on our future visits.

« BW Kelly Inn St. Cloud, MN »

We had a single Queen room; it was very clean, just a bit cramped is all. Bed was VERY comfortable and so were the pillows!! They have a restaurant but it doesn't open until lunch time, so I did miss the breakfast option. I was impressed with the nice seating areas interspersed throughout the hotel. I was just impressed with it all.

« Nice and friendly service »

Came up for baseball tournaments. Hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool is a bit small but the kids didn't mind. Nice location, within walking distance to lots a restaurants. Called prior to my stay to ask a couple of questions and the gentleman on the phone was extremely helpful and very friendly!

    « 4th of july »

Great location, and room in the tower on the river with a sofa gave us plenty of room Close to everything, walked to the fireworks. While most BW have a breakfast included , this one does not. Would book at this hotel again.

    « Centrally located »

Large hotel w/pool. There is a parking garage behind hotel so you don't have to feed the meters. Clean rooms and comfie beds. Our room was quiet and clean, Staff very friendly and helpful. Walking distance to attractions, shops, river. our room has river view, would stay again

« This Best Western is a real Plus! »

Having previously stayed at Best Western Premier locations, I really think this location should qualify for that designation. This is a lovely facility adjacent to the St. Cloud convention facility and has over 200 rooms. We enjoyed a 6th floor room with a beautiful view of the Mississippi River. The price was a pleasant surprise. Paid a lot more for an awful lot less. Has a HUGE indoor swimming pool room for year-round use. We could not find anything wanting at this facility. If you would like a really first-class facility, you are not likely to go wrong here. I've also provided a review of the Green Mill restaurant located within the hotel. Another plus.

« Updated hotel with accommodating staff »

I stayed at this hotel during a tournament. The double queen room had been recently updated and the beds were comfortable. The pool area is very large and there are video games too. Fitness area was compact however it was well equipped. The only negative was that the onsite GreenMill restaurant had just fair food. However, there are many places to eat within walking distance from the hotel. Very central location.

    « Fancy »

The staff was super nice and helpful. The hotel has fancy rooms. I have stayed here a couple times, they have a large pool area and many rooms. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in st. cloud. Although we did not go to the bars down town, we did make a late night stop at Perkins (I don't recommended lots of drunk college kids). If you in town on a week day stop in at energy blend.

« All Star Football week end »

We were greeted by friendly staff. The staff was accommodating in locatinging our room next to our daughter's families room and as a bonus they gave us a river view, very nice. The rooms(2) we had were clean and quiet. The beds were comfortable. We would stay here again and recommend this hotel to others.

    « Fantastic! »

What a nice place to stay. Clean, quiet, comfortable, etc. I stay in hotels a lot and I have got to say this was very enjoyable. I am a smoker and they have accommodating places outside - which is really rare. If I have a chance, I will stay at the Kelly Inn again! The front desk personnel were very accommodating and willing to answer any questions. Overall - I had an awesome stay !

    « Fantastic Experience!!! »

Excellent Location. Appreciate restaurant on site. Great Food. Fantastic Suite. Great Beds!! Service Outstanding!! Being connected to convention center makes it so convenient for an all inclusive experience!

    « Best »

We stayed in this beautiful, CLEAN hotel last night with pleasure. We had some bad luck and had to stay in a different hotel as our vehicle got worked on. The difference between the two was marked. What a relief to experience such comfort. I highly recommend it. Call Sammy's pizza for the best pizza, too. They deliver!

    « nice convient place »

located in town so easy walk to restaurants and stores pet friendly the biggest negative was the quality of the mattress being way past its prime staff is helpful, unfortunately breakfast is for purchase in the adjoining bar/restaurant close to convention center

« Beautiful, Comfortable and Convenient »

I was in St. Cloud for a family wedding. The bride suggested the Best Western Plus Kelly because of its proximity to her reception venue. This hotel is absolutely beautifully decorated. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. My parent's room had a lovely view of the Mississippi River. The staff anticipating my needs offered me a complimentary suite upgrade so I could be on the same floor as my elderly parents. I wish I could have stayed longer.

« Great location, small rooms »

Really great location...lots to do in the area and walk around. Pleasant staff. Restaurant in the hotel was great for breakfast. But rooms surprisingly small--haven't stayed in a room that tiny since Tokyo!

    « Excellent service »

The staff were all very accommodating and responded immediately to requests for service. Refrigerator was not working and unfortunately I did not realize this until the following morning. Staff responded immediately and found another room close by where I could move my food until frig was fixed. They later moved the working frig to my room. Room was very clean, bed very comfortable, and overall great location and service.

« Very Close To Downtown »

I came here for my 21st birthday and everything from the service, to the room, to the staff was amazing. I chose this hotel because the location with it being downtown is very convenient. Morgan and Jon were very helpful with getting me and my family our rooms upon arriving. Would definitely come back again to celebrate another birthday or stay in general.

« Beautiful and clean place to stay »

This was a great place for us to stay. We loved the hotel itself, and it was so close to shops and restaurants. The staff at the Green Mill restaurant adjoining the hotel also had great customer service.

    « PEO Convention »

Combined with the convention center, this is a very good place to stay. Rooms in the new part of hotel are very good, meeting rooms were quite nice. Some convention participants were not able to get into their rooms until after 9 PM because the baseball teams did not check out on time. This was upsetting and needs to be addressed before our next gathering. It was a convenient location and facility.

« Great Place to Stay »

My friends and I enjoyed our stay at the Best Western Kelly Inn, it was clean, comfortable beds and the staff was friendly and helpful. They offer a nice breakfast and there is also a restaurant attached. Have stayed here many times and will continue to do so.

« Convenient for Convention of any size »

Room was clean and wonderful view of the mighty Mississippi! Stayed 4 nights, but room was only cleaned twice. Some kind of mix up there? I have stayed here for years and never had a questionable experience until now, so I'll give it another try in a bit. I'm sure that prior history will prove that this stay was not the new norm.

    « Great stay! »

The service was great and having a restaurant connected was definitely a plus. The staff was friendly, from the cleaning personnel to the wait staff at the meals. I really have no complaints...everything was fine.

« Good for a stay for meetings at Convention Center »

Stayed at the Best Western Plus Kelly Inn during a recent conference at the Convention Center. Location was great for the conference as it is attached (Through indoor walkway) to the Convention Center. The attached Green Mill restaurant made for a convenient dinner as they have a happy hour in the afternoon and again after 9pm on food and drinks. They also offer an additional 10 percent off to hotel guests. Front desk staff was very friendly. However I only gave this hotel a rating of 3 because it is starting to become very outdated. This can be seen in the hallways in the rooms. Beds were OK, but not that comfortable and it just looks worn out. I would recommend this hotel for anyone who has business in the Convention Center, however if not I would more than likely shop around for something else. There are other very nice similarly priced hotels within a short driving distance to downtown.

« Place to stay for business »

I stay here consistently because of the, location, facility, amenities, and most of all, the service. I am in town every three weeks or so and have never had other than an excellent experience here. This past stay was during a large convention. The hotel was full, however, you wouldn't know it. No noise at all and I was in a room across from the ice machine and soft drink foyer! As I was checking in, Tom, one of the front desk managers was helping a guest with a complex computer issue. Service over and above I would say.

« Terrible for Wedding Blocks »

This Hotel has terrible customer service. I called a month ago to reserve a number of rooms for a wedding and confirmed they had a large block available, but the lady in charge was busy and would contact me back. This happened 3 more times within the follow couple of weeks with no return call. Finally, I contacted a gentleman to learn the hotel is full. Terrible customer service I would not recommend them.

    « Great Service »

Held a meeting at the Best Western Kelly Inn in April. The service provided by the front desk, the catering staff and the sales staff was terrific. Rhiannon at the front desk, came to my rescue with technical help on my computer. She went the extra mile. She took my jump drive downstairs to the business office, printed out the material I needed and brought it back to my roon. I was able to keep working and resolve my issues. Morgan at the front desk was very service oriented. The rooms were clean and quiet. We book this hotel for my group every year and are always pleased.

    « It was ok. »

I travel a lot and have come to realize that there can be a wide range of received value for $125 per night. While there wasn't any one thing that turned me off, I am not inclined to want to repeat the stay again. I think I can get better value for the money elsewhere. The lobby was good and probably had a recent refresh. The hotel room likely did as well. Service was fine. They seem to try hard. My frustration is I can tell that not everything had been updated. The hotel room air handling system said, "I didn't get a refresh." It seemed tired and musty. It made me wonder what I was breathing in. Parking is a bit tight but if you literally take a hard right outside the main entrance you will find plenty of hidden parking down by the water. Breakfast was underwhelming at The Green Mill. We will never repeat that. The Green Mill is attached and while they may do a good job for lunch, supper, and evenings, breakfast seemed like an afterthought. McDonalds is a better value for breakfast.

« Would not stay again »

It was a nice hotel but not friendly. Desk clerk had no personality. Would not stay at this particular location again. Very disappointing. The room was clean but had a unpleasant smell. Refrigerator had no freezer. The area was very nice. A lot of places to eat.

    « Good Value »

The BW Plus Kelly Inn is conveniently located to downtown attractions and restaurants and attached to the conference center. I did not use the restaurant, or any of the amenities other than the complimentary coffee/tea in the lobby so my review is strictly on the hotel room. The room was nice and faced the Mighty Mississippi River for under one hundred dollars a night conference rate. The room was spacious and for the most part clean unless you moved a piece of furniture and then it was pretty nasty. The bed linens were clean, the bath towels somewhat thin and the bathroom door and the closet door oddly spaced and cramped and blocking movement of two people in and out of the bathroom although there was a separate prep area with outlets and a mirror outside the bathroom. The work area of the room was nice and spacious with plenty of lighting and outlets for the travel pro. There was a good sized refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker in the room. There was no in room safe though. The TV was a 42" LED with plenty of channels. I liked that the bathroom had an exhaust fan. You don't find that often these days. All in all a good stay for a good value if you don't look behind or under the furniture.

« Splendid stay in a very pleasant room. »

I spent one night in a room with a single king size bed. My room was spacious and clean. Two comfortable arm chairs were available along with a desk and chair. The room was quiet throughout the night, and the temperature was comfortable. The front desk staff were pleasant and prompt. For supper, I dined in the onsite Green Mill restaurant. The food and services were very good.

    « Conference stay »

This hotel was reasonably priced and centrally located. I stayed here during a conference at the Riverside Convention Center, which was connected to the hotel making it extremely convenient. My husband and 2 sons travelled with me. We found the room to be plenty quiet at night (we have an 8 week old son & 5 year old son) and noise level was very important to us. The room also has a air conditioner/heating/fan system with a "constant fan" option which I really appreciated as I sleep with a fan on at night which helps drown out other noise. Its also very convenient to have the green mill restaurant attached to take out/have delivered or sit in. The rooms were clean and fairly updated. The only drawback was the bathroom/closet/make up mirror set up- as you walk into the bathroom there is a closet before the door. If the closet is open you can't get through and that space is quite tight. Other than that, we had a very pleasant stay and the hotel staff were friendly and helpful.

    « A big hotel with small-town friendliness »

My cousins met here for our annual reunion, and had a nice experience. Our rooms were ready before the normal check-in time, and we weren't hassled for staying a bit late at departure. We were recognized at the desk, got a great rate, and had very clean and comfortable rooms. While we didn't make use of the pool or exercise room, we appreciate the meeting room we rented, the business center and the (free) coffee bar in the lobby. The artwork in the lobby is attractive, and the parking is surprisingly convenient, even when there's an event in the (attached) convention center. My suggestions: try for a room overlooking the Mississippi River--it's a nice view. At checkout time the elevator is slow, and luggage carts are rare, so plan a bit ahead. If you need something, call the desk; they provide some of the best customer service I've encountered in a big hotel.

Clean room, great river view, friendly front desk and kind housekeeping staff on 4th floor. Hotel elevators, hallways were clean despite many hockey teams prowling the hotel. Despite the green mill cook going home early, a good time was had by our party!! We will be back!

I stay at the Kelly Inn in St. Cloud when I visit my daughters. They like to come and visit and I like the clean rooms, easy check in and the location of the Green Mill. the workers are very friendly and accommodating. It is located, easy access off of Highway #23. St. cloud is a fun town with lots of activities for family and friends to do. Great college and area.

« Another great stay at the Kelly Inn »

My fiancé and I love staying at the Kelly Inn because it is close to downtown St Cloud and allows us to walk to the Paramount Theater and nearby restaurants. The hotel itself is very well kept, rooms are clean and smell fresh. If you are lucky enough to get a room with a view of the Mississippi you will not be disappointed. Staff is friendly and always are willing to answer questions, give us extra towels, etc.

    « wonderful stay »

reserved a king room expecting a standard size room with a king bed. was pleasantly surprised when i opened the door to a king bed, sofa, easy chair, and a small bar/dining area. The view off the Mississippi was wonderful and even though we were a block from the highway there was no road noise. Room, pool area common areas and meeting rooms were all clean and well maintained. Will definitely be staying there again next year when I'm in town for my continuing ed. All the staff members i had contact with were courteous and professional. Thank you to Kelly Inn for the wonderful mini vacay!

    « Great stay! »

Very clean, quiet rooms. Excellent climate control. Friendly staff. Nice restaurant attached. Green Mill. Close to downtown restaurants and shopping. Hotel has been recently remodeled. Only negative is parking. Far from my room.

« OK place to stay, restaurant was surprisingly quite good »

Hotel is surprisingly quite large and was very busy. Lots of kids taking advantage of the pool if you want to avoid noise, stay away from there. Not particularly modern but fine for short stay. Room is fine, small bathroom and sink outside the bathroom. Good closet and hanging space. Heating fine.

    « Great Stay!! »

Friendly staff, very courteous even on an extremely busy weekend as there was a hockey tournament in town. Beautiful hotel, great rooms and very clean. Parking was very convenient and an awesome location close to so many attractions.

« Another Family Fun Night »

Another Family Fun Night for our youth wrestling program. We were here last year for the same event and enjoyed our time. The pool area is a great place for all the parents to get together and the kids can have some fun swimming and playing around. Our room was just fine. Two complaints, one which I had last year was no where to change clothes. The bathroom is very small to change in with some privacy. Other complaint was there was no complimentary hair dryer to use. I didn't feel like lugging mine alone so I left it at home assuming there was a hair dryer. Made doing my hair take a bit more time as I had to air dry. Otherwise we had a great time.

    « Fantastic Hotel »

This hotel property is outstanding. The room was extremely clean and very quite despite all the kids that were there during out visit. The pool area was very nice and the hot tub was perfect temperature. The bed was the best part. It was just perfect for sleeping. The staff were very nice and friendly and asked if they could make the stay more pleasant. The location is perfect and there is lots of parking and easy access to the area businesses. One more note to add. The a/c, heating unit was so quite I did not know it was even running.

    « MAMP Convention 2016 »

Perfect as usual. Room cleaned stocked, never had to ask for anything. Perfect location for our convention. Food, drinks & service was great. Staff friendly and we always have a hospitality room available.

« Great value for the $$, friendly staff »

I stay at this hotel frequently for seminars I teach. The employees are always extremely friendly and helpful. This is a great site for a one-day meeting. The rooms are nothing fancy but are well maintained and a great value for the money. The location is very convenient. The hotel is connected to Green Mill and guests receive a discount.

    « Very Busy »

Perfect location for the event we attended. The hotel is less than 1 mile from the college. Rooms very small but clean. The hotel was filled with families attending several sports events in the area. The restaurant attached to the hotel is convenient.

« Clean room, good value for the money »

The Kelly Inn advertised a very reasonable rate ($68/nt) for family members of patients at the St. Cloud hospital. Even thought the receptionist quoted me a different rate, she checked the web and honored that rate I requested. I came in late at night and left early the next morning, so I can't comment on the amenities. However, the room was clean, the night clerk courteous and the location, just minutes to the hospital, which was important to me.

    « February 2016 »

We had a great stay at the Kelly Inn. Upon check in we were told there was a better "family fun night" rate that included a free pizza at the Green Mill restaurant (attached to the hotel). We had pool side rooms that allowed easy access to the pool and they had round tables set up in an open area adjacent to the pool, which made dinner really convenient for our group. The pools are heated and there is a small kiddie pool that was perfect for our kids (age 4 and 1.5). The only negative was that there was a very loud group also enjoying the Family Fun Night package, they felt the need to share their music with all of the other guests. Made it a little hard for the kids to fall asleep. But at 11:00 pm the pool area closed and the music stopped, thankfully. All in all, a great stay and one that we would consider repeating.

« Comfortable night stay conveniently located »

Stayed for the KVSC Trivia Contest in February 2016; very friendly staff, good value, immaculate room, and a great location near the campus of St. Cloud State and downtown. We did not use the attached restaurant but it looked like it was nice, too. We'll stay here again next year!

    « Very Average »

Location is great. Rooms are small but clean. Parking can be problematic. This is simply an average accommodation in all respects. It is attached to a Convention Center, so I suppose that market deletes the need to be at a higher overall level.

    « Excellent stay »

I arrived on a Sunday and that night there were some hospitality suites that were a bit loud on Monday the same rooms were having alot of fun so I asked the front desk if I could have a different room. They had me upgraded to a family suite and an employee helped me with my bags! I slept like a baby for the rest of the week. It was a water view. It was so convenient to have the Greenmill connected to the hotel and with a room key I got 10% off my bill. Next time I'm in the area, I'll be staying here again! Thank you for the great accommodations!

« Don't go for the customer service! »

I stayed at the Best Western Plus Kelly Inn in St Cloud MN on 01/30/16. I booked my room through the Best Western website. I was given a wide variety of choices as far as the number of beds and/or sofa beds and chairs. I selected a room that I believed would be a perfect fit - 2 queen beds AND a reclining chair. Upon check in I entered the room to find there was not a reclining chair - only two beds. I called the front desk immediately so that I could be moved to the correct room. I was told that there were no longer rooms with recliners. I asked what my options were, considering that I needed 3 separate sleeping areas. I was told that nothing could be done for me. When I asked about speaking to someone else that could help me, I was told that there were no other options - the front desk was it. As there were other family members also staying at this hotel, I did not wish to leave and go elsewhere. We travel often as a family for sports and dance competitions, as well as leisure. It is very important to me to be able to accurately choose a room that will accommodate the group I am traveling with. Overall, this hotel was decent. The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was small, but clean. It also seems like a great place for families. However, based on this unfortunate experience not only do I plan not to return - I will definitely tell others about the lack of customer service as well as the misleading booking information on-line.

    « Clean Hotel »

Room was very clean. Staff helpful and friendly. Attached to the Rivers Edge Convention Center which is where we were going so it was a very short walk. We were able to check in early and get parked right away.

    « Business Travel »

Very attentive staff. Well appointed property. Nicely decorated. Updated recently. Comfortable beds. Located adjacent to the convention center. Clean rooms. Nice business center. Convenient parking. Right on the river, so there are pretty views.

    « Great river views »

Nice hotel. If you get a room on the river side, there are some spectacular views. VERY convenient walkway to the ST. Cloud Convention Center. Beds were comfortable. Had everything but a free breakfast, but Green Mill is conveniently attached.

« Nice room. Bad housekeeping. Dirty. Poor front desk/manager. »

We stayed in a river-view double queen room (check in Jan 22) . The room was large and had a full wall of windows overlooking the river, nice (room 259). I used the bathroom (very small) as soon as we entered the room. When I flushed I noticed a crusty texture on the flush handle. I looked down horrified to find crusted on brown stuff on the handle and a hair (which was not mine) on the toilet seat...GROSS!. I immediately went to the front desk to inform them. I told the front desk clerk and the manager... They made absolutely no apology and only said they would get housekeeping up to my room when they were available. Again, they did not even say sorry or do anything to make up for the inconvenience. I thought perhaps they would do something to make me feel like a valued guest since I am a Best Western Rewards member but not even a apology was offered. We reserve many rooms each year for the annual Vex tournament. We will be staying at the Courtyard for the next few years. Additionally the room next door had an extremely loud creaking door which would wake you out of a sound sleep. There is no breakfast and despite being centrally located the front desk told us the only fast food near by was a very substandard Subway. Wi-Fi was hit or miss. Worked about 1/2 the time.

« Usually a great place to stay »

However, this time .... not so much. I reported an elevator malfunctioning, but I guess it was too late (around 8 PM) as maintenance had left. Taking the stairs, lol, I guess I do need the exercise. But the biggest problem was enjoying the sound of the elevator hydraulic pump cycling on and off ... all night ... every few seconds. Just a suggestion to management, have all desk staff trained in the proper procedure for powering down said equipment, .... please! No sleep makes for grumpy guests, haha. Overall, this hotel is wonderful. All hotels have their "one-off" instances, and I think this was one of those.

« Great stay for New Year's Eve »

I once again stayed in this hotel for New Year's Eve and had an excellent experience. There was a large line to check in, but the staff kept their cool and got us through efficiently. Jackie helped us get a room that fit me and my friends' needs as there were many of us that wanted to stay in the same room. The two-story three bed was spacious, private, and fit our needs well. Thanks!

    « Nice for work »

Room was Clean, quiet and comfortable. Nice stay. Only downside was Food for lunches during convention was less than average. I was surprised. On plated dinner there were about 6 quarter sized potato pieces with a bacon wrapped piece of pork. cheap. Flows well for work conferences. Make sure your committee Samples food first. IMO.

    « Winter Get-Away »

Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful! We like the King suite overlooking the river, rooms were clean! We also enjoyed the drinks in the bar at the Green Mill! We will definitely stay here again!!!

    « Amazing Customer Service! »

We stayed here for our company holiday party and when we arrived at 4pm, our room was not ready. There were hockey teams that had just checked out, so they had many rooms that were not cleaned yet. We had to be at the convention center for our party that started at 5pm and we still had to get ready. The front desk employees did everything they could to find us another room so that we wouldn't be late for our party and we ended up getting a Jacuzzi suite upgrade. They were very kind, fast, and professional. Having worked in the hotel industry before, I realize how difficult it is when there are late check outs and everyone in the hotel has to work together to get done FAST. They did an outstanding job and the hotel was beautiful. The convention center was awesome as well. GREAT STAFF! Easy parking! Highly recommend this place!

« Fun family get away »

We have been staying here for a weekend in the winter, for several years. We always stay poolside and have a great time! The only problem with being poolside is the noise (the pool area is open and LOUD past 11pm). But, the convenience of having the pool right there, and tables to sit at is worth it! Poolside rooms are small, but have a mini fridge and like I said, so convenient.

« Not what I had hoped for. »

Room was clean and bed was comfortable, however noise was an issue. Was woken up several times two of the nights I was there. Seems you can hear what goes on in the hall like it was in your room. Some group that was there for training was drinking and staying up till 3am and quite noisy. Called front desk the first night but just put up with it the second night. Needs to be something in place to protect other guests when this happens. Not Kelly Inn's first rodeo so they are aware this happens from time to time. I was offered to be moved to another room, but it should be the opposite . . . the offending noisy person needs to be the one that is required to move. Tried the restaurant that is part of the hotel and found it to be friendly but food is not where it needs to be for the price. Seems the chef/cook is not of the caliber they need to be. Not all the help is that colinary savvy. I requested from the hostess an assurance that the oatmeal they show on the menu was real rolled oats or old fashion oats and not the instant or 1 minute oats that has the texture of baby food. I was assured that it was the real deal and so i went ahead and ordered. You guest it, quick oats. Spoke to the waitress about it, not complaining but FYI ing to her that it was not what it was advertised to be and she was apologetic but defensive about it being what it was suppose to be. Restaurant staff need to be up on what the kitchen prepares for the customers. These were not young staff either and should know the difference between regular oats and the quick oats and the textures. Ordered a steak for dinner the first night and was quite disappointed in how it was prepared. Simple preparations that seemed to miss the mark by quite a bit. overall rating would be 5 out of 10 for the hotel and 3 out of 10 for the restaurant.

    « Outstanding customer service »

Stayed at the Kelly Inn Jan 19-21 . The room was spotless and passed the UV light test with flying colors. We were on the 6th floor overlooking the river. We have a small (9 pound dog) and were very comfortable. The best part of the stay was the interaction with Morgan at the front desk. We were in town due to a medical emergency and originally booked 2 nights. When we discovered that we needed an extra night and the hotel was completely booked, he offered to call me on my cell if there was a cancelation. There was, and I received a call from him confirming the extra night. I think it is refreshing to find an individual who is both efficient and so concerned for the welfare of his customers that he is willing to go the extra mile to assure their satisfaction. We will be returning at least one more time as unfortunately our relative will be hospitalized quite a bit longer. I recommend this hotel. Amenities : odd numbered rooms on the 6th floor have great views, covered free parking, nice pool area, good free wifi, attached to convention center, free pet policy (if you bring a pet please pick up after them, don't mess this up for the rest of us), convenient to St Cloud Hospital with hospital rate. Great place to stay made better by the exceptional employees.

    « Rude »

Very disappointing, check in clerk was very rude, I didn't feel special in anyway my husband and I picked the BW because we loved the one in whitefish mt. We asked for the military discount since my husband is a disabled and for some reason the price of the room was going to be $20 more if we used the military discount how does that make any sense. We stayed in a hotel because my husband is going into the VA hospital for PTSD treatment and will be here in Saint Cloud MN for 45 days and I will be returning to visit, and will not be returning to this best western, the rooms are great but with the amount of money I spent on the room king suite I expect to be treated with respect and not rudeness, I will take my business elsewhere

    « Painful check-in »

Four employees worked the front desk, three of the employees dealing with a hockey mom trying to get a poolside room, and only one employee checking guests in. As the lines grew longer, and there was obviously no solution in sight, (hotel was completely full for the night), at least ONE of the three should have started to help the waiting guests. I have stayed at this hotel each year for 20+ years for a conference, and this was the worst front desk service we have ever had. Some review of training needs to happen.

« Great place to stay in St. Cloud »

I've stayed at this hotel a bunch of times because of regular conferences I attend there. It's on the main drag but not in the middle of all the restaurants and places to shop. Parking is easy. Staff are competent and friendly. Rooms have consistently clean, well-kept, stocked and comfortable. Beds would make Goldilocks happy; just right. Quiet at night, too. My only grip--and it's a small one--is that there's no way to get breakfast without leaving the hotel. The attached restaurant doesn't do breakfast and while there are restaurants nearby, if you're headed to a conference next door, it's inconvenient to have to go searching for a morning meal beforehand. I've learned to bring some fruit and yogurt and put them in the room fridge so it's not life threatening, I just prefer it when the hotel offers breakfast options. That said, I will happily continue to use the Kelly Inn for my lodging needs for many years to come. It's nice to have a reliable friend far from home.

    « Super comfortable bed! »

Hotel is great. The beds are incredibly comfortable and the rooms are very spacious. I would highly recommend this hotel. I travel extensively and stay at most of the Best Western's throughout the country and this hotel ranks up there with being the best.

    « New Year's Eve stay »

Our room was on the 6th floor with a beautiful view of the snow-covered Mississippi River. Check-in was quick and we had under cover parking. Our room was ready and everything was neat. We had a microwave/frig. Since we were going to a party in the River's Edge Convention Center it was great to just walk through the hall way from the hotel to the Center. There is a Green Mill in-house and many eateries within walking distance too. The bed was very comfortable!

    « New Years Eve »

We got a package special with tickets for the Fabulous Armadillos. Everything was great. Pool was warm and clean. Josh at the front desk was very helpful and courteous. Coffee provided in the front lobby as well as in room. Very comfortable beds

« No Holiday Room Service »

When I arrived I was very disappointed to learn there was no room service available over the holidays. I specifically chose the higher paying hotel for this feature. There was no mention that this service would not be available. The room was very noisy next to the parking lot, and the closing of the hallway and hotel room doors. it took hours for the heat to work, spiders were crawling around the TV and the bathtub. I was set to spend two nights here, but had to switch hotels.

« Friendly, pet friendly, clean, comfy »

Awesome service! I've stayed here a couple Christmas Eve's with my dogs and they are awesome! Beds are comfy, showers are hot, and rooms are clean and quiet! Even last min they were able to switch my room to accommodate my brother. Thank you!!

« Comfy and Quiet, but Painful »

This hotel is fairly priced for the accommodation. I was here for the dog show next door at the Rivers Edge Convention Center. This hotel was very accommodating. They made biscuits and plastic bags available to exhibitors during our stay. The rooms were quiet and the hotel, I suspect, segregated us to one wing of the hotel. I could hear a dog howling in the room next to me when its owner left it there for several hours... but just barely... nice thick walls. However, there is no breakfast. I came prepared based on other reviews to pay extra for a good breakfast, but alas, the in-house restaurant did not open until 8:00am, and at that I did not see a breakfast menu available. I ended up getting a pop tart out of the over-priced vending machine. In fact... the vending machines in this hotel ended up becoming my friends. I ordered room service my first night from the Green Mill and it took over an hour to have a club sandwich with sweet potato fries brought to my room. The fries were cold and the sandwich was warm and soaked in pickle juice. Really? It took an hour for this? My attempt at lunch the next day was no better. The next morning I walked over to Perkins... the only thing open. So sad. On the bright side.... this hotel does have a great front desk staff and they keep the coffee flowing in the morning. MMM Great Coffee.

    « Perfect! »

We picked this hotel due to the close proximity to the conference hall - we were exhibiting at a dog show. The staff was great... the room was clean and comfortable... and they allowed our dogs to stay in the room with us and supplied dog cookies and bags to pick up after our dogs. Everything was perfect!

    « Dog show weekend »

Room was very clean, and the hotel was next to the dog show. They allowed dogs into the rooms which was very nice. Overall the Kelly Inn meets expectations and they really try to help their customers.

    « Excellent Stay »

I am usually a person that stays at the Merriott hotels when I travel to the Minneapolis area but when I go to St. Cloud, Minnesota I always stay at the Kelly Inn Best Western. The Kelly Inn is a great location! It is located right in the down town area. It is very close to St. Cloud State University where many of my family and extended family have been educated. It is also an easy drive to the shopping mall. The Kelly Innis very clean and cozy and the staff is very easy to work with. The pool is clean and the hot tube is "hot."

    « Great »

Stayed here for business. Great room great service and great food from the restaurant. I will stay again for sure express checkout also was a plus. Good location but parking can get crowded. What more can I say. It is a great place to stay.

« Stranded In St. Cloud! »

We couldn't have picked a better hotel to be stranded due to a flight being cancelled. Nicely updated, clean, and comfortable. We loved the Green Mill being attached to the hotel and the great view of the river. Front desk staff was friendly.

« Decent Stay for Price »

I had an uncomfortable bed and the coffee maker looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while due to the dust and old coffee spilled on it. The bathroom it the room I stayed at was very small and was impossible to close the door if you were on or around the toilet. The shower was clean and so were the sheets and room all around. It wasn't bad for the price but it could have been a little better. I wish I would have brought my swimming suit because they had a great pool and a hot tub. I also went to the Green Mill which had a great atmosphere, awesome food and very friendly service. I would stay at this hotel again for the reason of that alone.

« Best Western is Best »

We stay at the Best Western Kelly Inn every November for our annual meeting and bandquet. The rooms are great, clean and I appreciate the free WiFi. The staff always takes good care of our meeting rooms with ice water changed out for fresh during our lunch break. The attached Event Center handles our large banquet with ease. Love this Best Western!

« Great Expirencein about a minuetes time »

CLEAN, Comfortable. Beautiful modern décor throughout the entire hotel that gave you a feeling of being in a luxurious hotel. The free underground parking is also convenient as the elevator is nearby to bring you to your floor and you can get down to your vehicle in about a minutes time. Nice clean large indoor pool area. Will stay here again!!!

« Very nice place to stay »

The room was extremely clean and looked brand new, it had a fridge & microwave with sometimes can be a big plus. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I will come back to this hotel again without a question!!

    « Great staff! »

I have stayed here many times for business reasons. During my current stay, for some reason the Wi-Fi was not working in the room I was in. I have never had this problem before while staying here. Brendon, the awesome guy working at the front desk went to reset the WiFi and it still wouldn't work. Without hesitation he offered me a new room, more centered in the hotel. To my surprise he upgraded me to an executive suite. Brendon, you rock!! I was able to continue to work with out Internet interruption and meet deadlines! Thank you Brendon!!

    « No breakfast! »

The $7.00 breakfast in the attached restaurant is nothing more that what you get at cheaper hotel chains for free, but you have to pay for it! Best Western get your act together and offer a free breakfast for your clients. The parking is outrageous. There was a banquet of some sort the Saturday night we were there and had a horrible time trying to find someplace to park.

    « Business meetings »

The location was perfect because our meetings were in the conference rooms at the hotel. Room was nice and clean. The Kelly Inn makes it very easy to book a room and the check-in process was very quick. We will stay here again!

    « Nice »

Very nicely decorated and remodeled. It has a great view of the river. Nice pool area with hot tub. Wish it would have breakfast. Clean. Fridge ..microwave if you want to bring food. Pet friendly. SCSU. Discount

« Good Service; Tired Hotel »

The service was very good, but the rooms and most common areas were dark, dingy and smelled musty. I could have done without the insect crawling across my phone also. While hot water was plentiful, shower pressure was very low. Location on the river and attached to the St. Cloud Civic Center is convenient for those attending a conference. The room service provided by Green Mill restaurant (also attached to the hotel) was adequate, though not speedy. Consistency within the Best Western brand is still a problem. You never know what to expect and this particular "plus" hotel--while providing a fair level of service--did not meet my expectations in regards to room comfort.

« Great improvements have been made »

I stay at this property at least once a year for conferences. It has been refurbished and is very much updated from the last time I stayed. The rooms are clean and nicely furnished and really enjoyed staying here. Close to all conference rooms and Green Mill restaurant when weather was too nasty to go outside.

« Excellent Service from Start to Finish! »

This hotel is 5 star in my eyes! I had a great experience from the time I called the hotel directly to make reservations to the time that I checked out! Everyone is so professional and so caring - tops in customer service!! The rooms were very nice and super clean and comfortable. The housekeeping staff did a great job and always greeted me with a smile and asked if I needed anything. We had a reception and dinner there and it was excellent. It also was conveniently located to shopping - restaurants and the Convention Center. I didn't have to move my car for 3 days! Thank You to all of your staff! I will stay again when I am in the area and will recommend to all!

« Very poor customer servicde »

    1. I had a horrible fall and was taken to the emergency room by ambulance. The management showed absolutely no concern. I even had to request an accident report to fill out. 2. On the afternoon of my last day I requested that a taxi be arranged for me for 11:45PM to go to the Amtrak station to catch the train at 12:30am. When I went to the lobby at 11:45 I was told it would be at least 45 minutes for a taxi to be there. It appeared that they did not call until 11:40. After must protestation on my part they finally got a cab in time for me to catch the train. And hey acted as if I were somehow to blame.

« Outstanding service (Jackie) and cleanliness excellent location, river view. Green Mill attached plus Convention Center »

Experience was great, room was excellent, location outstanding, amenities well provided; BUT main reason for review is to complement Jackie, desk clerk for outstanding service....our room reservation was recorded in a rather complicated manner because of our large convention. Her diligence was amazing and all done with courteous proficiency and resulted positively for us in a hassle free manner.

    « Perfect fit »

The hotel staff were efficient and pleasant, the room was nice and clean. It's very nice being right next to the convention center when you have an event there. The only reason it did not get a 5 is that the hallway noise is very discernible and there were not enough blankets so sleeping was somewhat compromised Overall, a good place for the price.

    « Beautiful Fall View »

Was here for a 2 day conference at the attached convention center. The room I had was on the 5th floor with beautiful view of the river. The bed was very comfy. Standard 2 bed room with a fridge and microwave. Everything was clean and appeared relatively updated. Convenient to the convention center. We ate dinner at the attached green mill which was very good and you get a discount with your room key. All in all I would highly recommend!

    « Perfect downtown location »

Friends and I stayed here in September, 2015, for our Resident's Advisor reunion at St. Cloud State University. The front desk staff was friendly and accommodating for an early check-in. The housekeeping staff was OUTSTANDING and very helpful! Not only did they provide a much needed implement for our room, they volunteered more towels and amenities, when they found out it was 3 women in the room. This location is very close to all the shops, food and bars in downtown St. Cloud.

« For the area this was a good hotel. »

Not what you expect in major metropolitan areas when it comes to amenities and hotel renovations but for the area and proximity to area attractions, was pleased with the accommodations. The friendliness of front desk personnel was less than friendly. Coffee in the lobby was less than desirable. We did have a Jacuzzi room and from past experiences this is probably one of the more larger tubs we have had. However, plan on bringing your own bubble bath. The hotel does not have any available. We wanted a relaxing weekend and for the size of the room, and watching the football game on Saturday afternoon, the size was a bit small to see the score when relaxing in bed.

« Great Poolside Area when there is not a wedding reception »

Poolside area is awesome. Great area to let the kids play and swim with plenty of room for the adults to hang out and not feel like you are right on top of the pool. Plenty of space for everyone!! However during our stay there was a wedding reception that shared the space on Saturday. That was disappointing and a bit awkward. The reception noise in the room was more than I would expect to have to hear inside your room. Despite this it is still a very nice hotel and a great space. We will definitely consider staying here again.

« Best Hotel in St. Cloud »

This hotel is excellent, well located right at the conference center and adjacent to downtown, within walking distance of shops restaurants etc. The Green Mill restaurant is right next door. I have stayed here before. The manager of this hotel knows what leadership is all about. Great staff, friendly and helpful. Business suites are spacious and well appointed. This place is a winner.

    « Great stay »

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. We had poolside rooms and wanted to hang out by the pool after 11pm and we could not because it was closed. That was a bummer! It was nice to have the Green Mill restaurant connected to the hotel and the St. Cloud Civic Center connected also!

« St. Cloud Best Western Plus (Kelly) »

This motel was very convenient to two essential venues of our visit (Pioneer Place and St John's). However, there were no assist bars in the shower (somewhat risky for older folks), and there was no way to leave shower light on during night without it shining on the bed since there was no door to sink area: it is an open area and mirror placement was unusual. Staff were very helpful, room was convenient to access. Room itself odd.

« First visit since rennovation - nicely done »

This was my first stay at the Kelly Inn since their room renovations. My room was clean, comfortable and updated. I had a lovely view of the river and enjoyed meals at the Green Mill on property. My only dissatisfaction is with the exercise facility. I tried two pieces of equipment before I found one that worked. And even that was in poor shape. There is insufficient ventilation/air when there were three of us in there at the same time. It's time to bring this space up to the quality of the rest of the property. Then I'll give you a 5* rating.

« Recent Business Trip Stay (Conference within the Kelly Inn »

I was very impressed by the hotel's accommodations, service, rooms, parking, pleasantries and conference locations. Ease of returning to your room between sessions was amazing and relaxing; reducing stress and allowing one to use the facilities and refresh. Rooms were clean and impressive; hotel staff were extremely efficient and timely with cleaning and service. Special accommodations were provided for two co-workers who required special dietary needs; the food arrived hot and timely (Johnny on the spot). The food was fantastic and plentiful. Enjoyed my stay.

Prices of food service were very high. It was difficult to get to hotel from St Cloud's main street. It was difficult to get to exit street I desired. Front desk clerk should have told us about the parking ramp, since it was for both paying and non-paying. There was a convention center next door that used the same entry ramp.

    « I'm lovin' this place »

What a great layout! Windows to the pool are really nice for knowing if it's busy or not and to watch loved ones for safety. Lovely decor with lots of chairs right in the halls. Kindly staff and Green Mill Restaurant offers 10% off if you're a guest! The rooms are nice too. My only complaint is the elevators. They need more since the convention center is attached and that means a lot of people.

    « Great Place »

I stay here often and always have a good experience. The staff is wonderful, rooms are clean, large and comfortable. Food at the green mill is exceptional. Many times I am there for meetings and conferences. The price is competitive with much lesser quality hotels.

    « Great Hotel »

Stayed here for the Granite Games. Very nice hotel with great customer service. Provided a nonstop shuttle all weekend to the event location. We stayed in a bilevel family suite. The setup was a little odd. Entry was into the top level which contained the 1 and only bathroom, 2 queen beds, a large tv and clothing armoire and the kitchen equipment(microwave, small fridge, coffee maker). This level was very cramped. The lower level was very large with 2 queen beds, a table with 2 chairs, a large dresser with tv, and two arm chairs. This hotel is huge. Beautiful view of the Mississippi, and a great restaurant. If in the area again we would definitely stay here!
