« Best Western Mission Inn »

Huge room, lots of amenities. Glad to have s microwave and a refrigerator, we used both items. Very comfortable bed. Liked the decor, the bench at end of bed was convenient. Enjoyed the breakfast buffet in the morning. Would stay there again.

    « Love these hotels »

This Best Western isn't in the best part of town (doesn't look very safe) and it's close enough to the train tracks for you to hear it every time one goes by. Okay, that's the only negative thing I have to say about this place. The man at the font desk jumped up and unlocked the door as soon as he saw me pull up. He also noticed my military ID and applied the discount when I gave him my credit card. We had a room with 2 Queen beds and it was huge! I mean tall ceilings, large bathroom, just overall very spacious. The whole place, including the rooms is decorated in western theme too so it's really cute. Room was clean but the AC unit didn't seem to be able to cool down the large space. Breakfast was good as well. Nice mix of pastries and hot food like bacon, eggs and biscuits. Very friendly staff too

great city great experience nice people great help kept us up to date on traffic constructions to avoid and nearest gas stations. would like to do this area again when we have more time and less things that were scheduled

« "Train Kept a Rolling All Night Long" »

First, the positives: 1) Great landscaping, grounds immaculate 2) Room a departure from the usual cookie-cutter motel room layout, with southwestern decor and a definite personality 3) Comfortable bed Ok, now the negatives: 1) Motel directly across street from active train tracks, long freight trains with the whistle blowing rumbled by several times at night. There are many people who can live right next to train tracks and sleep like a baby; I am not one of them. 2) Air conditioner recessed into a space that did not keep the room cool, bathroom and dressing area receive no air conditioned air at all, at least with my room layout. 3) Nice TV wasted by no HD reception provided 4) Wi fi connection was bad; had to use my own data to stay connected 5) Took a shower; tub would not drain, had to bail water from the tub using a cup 6) Not your typical free motel breakfast. It is actually a restaurant for everyone. "Waitress(?)" informed me I had to get a ticket from the front desk, and she was there to provide my coffee and to take my trash. Seems silly to me. And I would not eat there if I were not staying there; average at best.

« Great place to stay. »

The hotel room was a nice size, the bed very comfortable and the water pressure was good. These are all important things I look for in other reviews. The only thing I would tell travelers is to bring your own pillow. The pillows were squishy ones and I prefer a firm pillow. I always bring my own pillow but this time I forgot to. Also, the breakfast was very good. They offered eggs, sausage, potatoes, cereal, waffles, yogurt and fruit.

« Great room. Excellent service. »

Our room was large, very nicely appointed and quiet. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast room resembles a nice restaurant. Food is the usual buffet, while offee is served at your table. Scrambled eggs were moist, not allowed to sit and dry out. We paid slightly more than we wanted, but it was worth it.

« Best Western Mission Inn Las Cruces - great place to stay »

Staff was very nice and the hotel and grounds were very clean, especially the pet area in the middle of the hotel grounds. I will definitely stay here again if I'm in Las Cruces. In fact, I'm trying to find a reason to visit just so I can stay here !

    « Quite comfortable »

Hotel was clean, Pool was refreshing, There was no road noise of any type, Had a great overall stay, Great location centered in las Cruces, !5 minutes to either side of town, Restraunts all close by, #0 minutes to white sands, Very nice court yard.

« Nice clean large rooms »

This double queen room was very spacious and clean. We had some flying bugs to deal with that came in when bringing in luggage but not fault of the motel. The towel rack in the bathroom was so close to the toilet (directly overhead!) that I hit my head on it when standing up. There is plenty of room in the bathroom, so relocating the towel rack before someone really hurts themselves is highly suggested. The nice lady who ran the breakfast room was very friendly and welcoming. She went out of her way to ensure we had everything we needed for breakfast and provided refills for our coffee. This was a nice way to start the day. All in all a recommended place to stay!

« Real wood furniture in a world of particle board and plastic hotels. »

Real wood furniture in a world of particle board and plastic hotels. Several antique Spanish/Mission pieces in room and in the dinning area. Great stay and a great change from most hotels. If you visit, take a good look at the old doors that have been converted to tables (decorative not dinning) in the dinning area. Those doors are probably 200 to 300 years old. Bathroom vanity is hand laid tile like the 1930's.

    « Quaint Classy Hotel »

If you like the ambience of New Mexico, you will love this hotel! The rooms were absolutely charming. They were very clean and had wonderful AC units. The front desk staff was so helpful and friendly, a great way to end a day of driving. The breakfast is included and was REALLY good. We would definitely stay here again. Such a great value!

    4
« Good Place to Stay »

This is a good clean and relaxing place to stay. The room was very nice, Wi-Fi worked well, and the pool is great. The common area outside is nice enough that people sat at the picnic tables, used the available BBQ, and enjoyed the nice weather.

    3
« Best Western Las Cruces, NM »

This hotel was clean and well located. The staff was very friendly. The included breakfast was very good. My only issue with this hotel is that both the lobby and my hotel room had an old, musty smell. The hotel being older also had outdated and drab décor.

    5
    « Great service »

The staff there are very professional and very friendly and help you when you need it. Especially Danny and Allan from front desk and Alexandra from the cafeteria from the hotel. Great work from them for going above and beyond in excellent costumer service.

    2
    « Worst Best? »

Sadly this is the worst Best Western I have ever stayed at. From the confusion at the front desk (although Tiffany was very Profesional and pleasant) to an empty parking lot but no rooms on first floor, to very very very old and dilapidated structure as well as doors that won't open and AC that is not getting cold... floor that are uneven and look and sound like a piece of carpet on a sheet of plywood. I hope I find good breakfast in the AM will make this rating worth the 2 stars. Pool was nice for the kids.

    3
« Good hotel to make quick stop »

We stopped after a very long day on the road. It was clean and comfortable. Average accommodations for a best western. Free breakfast was ok. Wifi was sluggish as is usual in these hotels. Did have a hard time finding a parking spot.

    3
    « One night stay »

The hotel location is not close to restaurants. Their breakfast is good. We stay one night. The room door was very hard to open from outside as well as from the inside of tne room. Their hospitality was nice.

    4
« Good Hotel Good Services »

We stay in this hotel for 4 nights vacation in Las Cruses New Mexico. We have no complaint. The price is reasonable and the services are good. I just make 1 suggestion as if the breakfast can be changed different each day so it will not be the same every day.

    4
« Best Western is where you need it. »

This hotel offers an excellent location for the weary traveler. The quality of service, the safety of the location makes it a great place to stop on your travels. Nearby gasoline service stations make it easy to refill and go on your business expeditiously.

    5
    « Fantastic Value!!! »

This is our second stay at the Mission Inn Best Western in Las Cruces. I booked it again this year after a great experience last year, and was glad I did! The hotel is older, but very well maintained and cared for, and the charm of a motor-court style hotel amid the high rises we are accustomed to, cannot be overstated. It is clean, comfortable and a terrific value. It will be our choice for lodging any time we are in the area.

« Good for One Night »

This motel is in a pretty decent location, close to restaurants and I-25. The reception on the tv is fuzzy. Beds were ok. Parking spaces are limited. A/C was loud, had a funky smell. One thing I noticed that drove me crazy was that everything in the room is square! Tiles, Windows, tv, light fixtures....

    5
« Spacious rooms, great breakfast, and quiet »

The rooms were spacious and quaintly decorated. Clean, comfortable, great value, and quiet. You can park right in front of your room so it is easy to load and unload your car. We spent one night here while on a road trip. Would definitely stop here again.

    5
    « Great Hotel »

Had to put my dad in rehab hospital for hip surgery so needed a place to stay at the last minute. This hotel is a retro motor inn....2 stories, pool in a nice courtyard in the middle. We selected a king size bed and the room was HUGE! Good size bathroom and separate dressing area. Southwest decor with a nice bench at foot of bed to put on your shoes or store your suitcase. Floor to Ceiling windows for light if you want it...older but clean and comfy. The Lobby is beautiful with many southwest touches. The breakfast area looks like a restaurant with tables, they bring coffee to your table and are quick with the refills. They have a great buffet--We had biscuits, gravy, sausage links, scrambled eggs and they have the waffle machine as well as many other selections. Super nice ladies help you with anything you need. Desk staff was awesome. i would definitely stay here again and it is close to downtown. This may be a little older but this is definitely a great place to stay. I loved it.

    4
    « Overnight »

Just came in for the night. The room was clean. Pretty safe area. However, the surrounding area at night can be questionable if you're looking for a late snack or wanting to go have a night out on the town. Continental breakfast was tasty. Awesome service! If I happen to be passing through and need a place to stay for the night, I would stay here again.

    4
    « Old Style motel »

The grounds were clean and shaded with trees and a nice pool. Our room was large and clean, but the bathroom (tub with shower and toilet) was very small. The vanity was outside the bathroom and was large. The a/c was loud and the microwave was sitting on top of the refrigerator which rattled when the frig was running. That was a little annoying until you got to sleep.

    3
« We visited Las Cruces, NM for an event our grandchildren were in »

this is the second time we have stayed at this particular motel. It is convenient to the mall and to Old Mesilla. Our room was very large with typical Southwestern furniture, which I liked as I was born and reared in Albuquerque, NM. The bathroom was a decent size with the vanity outside of the bathing area. The room was clean and the bedding was excellent. It has a hot breakfast furnished in an restaurant atmosphere. It was very quiet. It has an outdoor pool, but wasn't open for the season yet. We will stay here again.

    4
« Good stopping point in Las Cruces »

Older property with a lot of history. Well constructed rooms that are large and have been renovated but have a few minor warts (toilet valve leaking so it periodically refilled). AC blows cold and beds are comfortable. Great value for the price.

    4
« Nice place to stay after a long drive. »

We drove 10 hrs straight and just want to rest .An hour from the Las Cruces we callled the hotel and booked an overnight stay. The room was so big compared to other hotels. It's an old hotel but extremely clean. Buffet breakfast served early and very convenient if you travel early. The staff are very courteous and helpful to our needs.

    5
    « A Jewel of a motel, Great Stay! »

An older style motel that has been very well maintained and is a wonderful place to stay. Large rooms, perfectly clean and really neat older western style furnishings. And wait until you see the 'breakfast' room! It had to had been a really nice restaurant years ago, western furnishings and the food spread was excellent. The Staff was outstanding. I will be back.

    4
« Clean, Quiet, Good Value »

This is a nice basic motel and an excellent value for the money in Las Cruces. Clean room, clean pool. Not a great location, but good enough. Very nice free breakfast, fast internet. I was not disappointed in any way, and recommend it!

  • 3
    « As Expected »

The motel is aging and shows it, but delivers on it's promise of a decent place to stay on a short term basis. There are no elevators so if mobility is a problem make sure to ask for a 1st floor room. The reasonable price ensures that you will have lots of company in adjoining rooms during your stay.

    5
    « Relaxing get away! »

We have stayed at this hotel several times before. We keep going back to it because the rooms are spacious and clean. Also it is very quiet and peaceful there. The breakfasts are wonderful too! The beds are very comfortable!

    5
« Just an overnight stay »

Convenient location for a traveler; a little off the freeway but very easy to get to. The rooms are clean and very large. The furniture is beautiful and makes the room feel homey. Staff was very friendly. I was having trouble completing the reservation on my phone from the car so when I finished, I called the hotel. The young man who answered was very helpful and very courteous as was the man who was on the desk when we checked in. I would definitely stay here again.

    4
« Good Quality all around »

This is a quality Motel situated in a convenient location (near I-10) and other conveniences like restaurants and sighs in La Mesilla. The rooms were comfortable, altho Microwave did not work. Windows open so one can get some welcome fresh air. Room was spacious and well decorated. We missed the weather channel on the TV, but it was always hot and dry. What is there to know??!

    4
    « Beautiful Clean Rooms »

The rooms are large, clean and there is beautiful artwork. The property is clean and kept very well. I really appreciate the outdoor space. Some of the staff is not friendly or helpful. Breakfast is only served until 09:00

    4
« Comfortable Stay in BW Las Cruzes »

It was a comfortable stay in the Best Western Mission Inn in Las Cruzes. Staff was friendly, room was big and clean. Brealfast was good too - with hot things also. Internet is ok, but not very fast - but enough to send emails.

    4
    « Clean and quiet »

Nice clean and quiet hotel. Stayed here several times and find it an economical selection with large rooms and clean bathrooms. My only complaint and it is a minor one.... the bed is not as soft as mine at home.

    4
« Great Place to stay »

Very good location, close to the fwy. Nice appearance, clean and very nice staff. They were also very helpful. Refrigerator and microwave in the room was a PLUS! Great location for small dogs. Bed could have been a little softer. Overall a nice stay.

    5
« On our way to Tombstone, AZ »

It was a very good night stay. Everything was good, far above from what I expected. Must come and see for yourself. The breakfast was buffet had a little of everything. A marvelous experience. Had nothing I could complain off. The price was very reasonable.

    5
    « Old School hotel »

I like the smaller hotels that you can drive up to your front door. And if it is a BEST WESTERN you know everything is perfect. They take these older hotels that have character and do there magic to make them very comfortable.

  • 5
    « graduation nmsu »

A very nice facility with an outstanding staff of dedicated people. Conveniently located to most attractions of Las Cruces and Old Messila as well as the University. Outdoor pool is well maintained, and, proved refreshing on hot days.

    4
« Hotel under renovation, friendly staff »

The Mission Inn is a great place to stop, if you are traveling on I-10. It is close to the highway, and it is close to Mesilla's plaza, where there are lots of restaurants. The breakfast was quite good, and the server was super friendly. The rooms are very large. I noticed that they are renovating the rooms on the other side of the parking lot. My only complaint was the stale smell coming from the A/C unit.

    4
    « I keep coming back »

I should start by saying I've stayed at this place dozens of times in the past 15+ years, and I keep coming back. That should say a lot, but here are some details that may be more helpful. First, the rooms are big for a motel of this type . . . very comfortable. There are many touches that distinguish this from the typical sterile, mass-manufactured chain hotels. For example, it has lots of hand-painted tile, and the walls are hand-plastered, which give it a warm feel. It has been well-maintained and updated over the years, through at least one change of ownership. It does have some minor flaws that might be expected with an older property, but, to me, they are insignificant and do not distract from my sense of being in my "Las Cruces home." It is consistently clean. One thing I should mention, in case it's more important to you than to me. Most motels in Las Cruces seem to be either by the interstate highway or by the railroad tracks. This one is by the tracks, which means that every now and then, it may sound like a freight train is about to charge into your room. I grew up next to train tracks, so it doesn't bother me, but if you prefer interstate hum, be forewarned. The 'free breakfast' is a good deal, but it's hard to compete with some of the local eateries nearby.

    5
« Best stay over in a cross country trip »

Nothing we saw and enjoyed came close to this fabulous place. We were greeted by a congenial and helpful person named Danny. He set the tone for our stay. The room was very large and beautifully appointed. The bed was excellent. After a great nights rest we were pleasantly surprised by a wonderful breakfast. Not only was the food tasty and well prepared, there was also a warm, sweet hostess who made sure our coffee stayed fresh and any other needs taken care of. (Wish I could remember her name). All in all a wonderful experience.

    5
« Mission Inn is great »

Enjoyed our stay at the Mission Inn. Staff is very helpful, personable and professional. Room was quiet and clean. The complimentary breakfast was adequate and the coffee great. I would recommend this motel and will return again when in the area.

    3
    « Large room »

We stayed at Best Western Mission Inn in Las Cruces, NM for 2 nights this month. We had a large room and a comfortable bed. There was a train nearby, but the noise was minimal. The hotel was nearly full but the guests were quiet and respectful.

    5
« Excellent room for a reasonable price »

I should preface this review by saying this was a "nostalgia trip." My family stayed at this motel several times in the 1950's while my dad was supervising test launches at White Sands Missile Range. I was happy to see they've thoroughly updated the place while retaining its charm. Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable - and we could open the windows. (That's very important to my wife.) It's close to Old Town Mesilla and relatively close to White Sands. It's a typical chain motel, no frills, but nice. The free breakfast was very good - which seems to be standard for the Best Western chain.

    5
    « Very comfortable! »

This is an older but apparently renovated motel. Decor is very pleasant, bed is extremely comfortable, staff are welcoming, wifi is free and works well. Not far from restaurants (I went to Applebee's and it was excellent). Not far off the highway. Lots of good parking close to unit.

    5
« Weekend in Las Cruces »

Stayed a Friday and Saturday night. There was no funny smell upon entering the room. Beds looked so clean and comfortable. For some reason the wood makes it very inviting. Heater and cooler not located under the windows which may be a reason that the heater was needed only for a short while and I did not feel really hot. Just right. I felt things were very clean and slept like a champ all night long despite the train, which I only noticed twice before falling asleep. Very nice, clean, and comfortable stay. Breakfast was good. Wished I had gotten up earlier in order to eat a little more and more calmly.

    5
    « best ever »

this is the best hotel we have stayed in. we travel on a motorcycle and stay in 40 - 50 hotels a year.. without a doubt the best. the employees were very well dressed and first class in the way they act. the lady in the kitchen was super, she kept coming by to see if we needed anything and fill up my coffee cup.cleaning tables and checking food items. loved this hotel.

    « Western Vibe »

Enjoyed our stay at the Best Western in Las Cruces. Clean, comfortable, good breakfast, friendly staff. Everything you want on a road trip! A quick jaunt off the freeway for a quiet nights rest was well worth the short drive! Nice western ambience in the lobby and rooms. Would stay again.

    4
« Comfortable and value for money! »

Clean and comfortable, moreover value for money. I love the welcoming staffs and hot breakfast! I stayed here for a visit to the white sand monument. It's 50 minutes drive to the monument so good location to see both sunrise and sunset. Strongly recommend!

    4
    « Remains a repeat stop »

I found this place several years ago and it remains a favored stop on my cross country drives. An older facility with large rooms and windows for natural light at the rear. It is decorated in a classic southwest style in the rooms and lobby. The staff remains professional and pleasant.Easy access on and off IR 10. Aduquate dining a very short drive away. .

    4
    « excellent stay »

we stayed at six different hotels during this road trip and this hotel was the best. our room was on the second floor at the far end. it was very spacious and done well. there were two bathrooms, which was very helpful for us. the waitress (i think her name was Tiffany) was very courteous and nice. the only negative was no indoor pool. i highly recommend it and will stay again travelling this route.

    3
« Old but redone well. »

The Best Eestern Mission Inn has been redone and it is nicely done with great beds and linens. Unfortunately you can't overcome the dated building and room designs. It also is significant when a train comes by across the road. Service personnel were friendly and a hot breakfast which is included helps a lot. For the price of the room and convenience to I-10 it is a good deal. We will choose it again when we need a good bed for one night on our way to Scottsdale.

    4
    « Nice Accoomodations »

Very nice, large room. We would stay here again, the staff was very accommodating and friendly. We were a bit surprised when a train passed behind our room, but it was just about 9 pm. If this is a concern, you might want to ask for a room not in front of the tracks. The other thing is that most of the restaurants on this side of town were Chinese or fast food. Las Cruces is not that big, so this was not a huge issue, but we were tired after a long day and didn't feel like looking to hard. I do rate the International Delights Cafe where we ate in another review.

    4
    « Nice place »

I enjoyed my stay. The room could be a little cleaner, but I'm ex military so you know. There is a coffee shop close. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is : Need a 4 cup coffee maker, and pillow tops on mattress. Staff is great, friendly & professional. For the whinny person that complained about the trains, there was only 2 one at 19:00 7pm, and 21:30 9:30pm quiet the rest of the night.

    2
    « If You Like Train Noise . . . »

then this is a hotel for you. We arrived on February 29 after dark, based on the GPS routing and didn't see any of the surrounding area. Our first train experience was at 8:39pm. Loud. Hoping that that was the last train for the night. Not so. Next train roared by at 10:41pm. Maybe this was the last. It was until 3:14am when we were awaken by another train. Wish someone would have written a review to include this annoyance, and we would have picked another hotel. Check-in was another sore spot with me. I was given the third degree, even needing my license plate number. Who asks for a license plate number into today's world? This hotel does. Said they checked on them periodically to see that only those cars that were registered were parking overnight. Good news is they didn't ask for my finger prints overtly. The room had been rehabbed, but the toilet was placed so close to the paper dispenser, against the wall, and behind the door that it wasn't a pleasant experience (see picture). Otherwise the room was in good shape. The breakfast the following morning was good, and it was nice to sit by the window and look across the street at the train track. You have now been warned about the train noise. Select this property at your own peril.

    4
« Las Cruces instead of El Paso »

We used to stay in El Paso during our annual trip west. We found Las Cruces to be much nicer and easier to get around, Mission Inn BW was a pleasant surprise. Big rooms with plenty of outlets for phones and computer and tablets, Large bath and good size flay-screen.

    4
    « Pleasant Stay »

Nice motel. Breakfast was very good with plenty of tables and great ambiance - relaxing, BUT does not stay open longer on weekends. Toilet would not fluss so I had to request a plunger to get things moving. Overall, nice motel and, yes, I would stay here again.

    « Best Hotel stay »

Great service and accommodations. The train can wake you up when you least expected. The amenities are great, as is the service. The breakfast is wonderful , especially on weekends. My parents and I love to stay here.

« Greatest Motel in Las Cruces »

Good food, great service , My parents & I love the accommodations. The only place My parents and I stay when they're tired and don't want to drive back to el Paso. The staff is friendly and very courteous.

    4
    « Large King Room »

Great value we booked online with the BW app using the AAA Discount and Gold club membership. Our King room on the second level was larger than most rooms and distinctively decorated. The bed was comfortable lots of place to hang clothing and as a nice touch there is a wooden bench at the foot of the bed. The WiFi was excellent. Hot breakfast is included in the rate.

    4
    « Renovated Rooms »

Older Hotel, but our room was renovated, interesting decor in the room, large clean room, good bedding. The lobby and breakfast area look like an old mission. The front desk person for check in and check out was very friendly (both). The breakfast employees were very efficient and courteous.

    2
    « VERY DISAPPOINTED »

Expedia ad showed a restaurant and lounge on site (WRONG), front desk said it needs to be updated. Expedia had messed up the reservation and it took 2 hours on the phone to get it straight. Room is a mix of old and new, front part of room is nice, but it ends there, little towels, mismatched and old drapes (RIPPED), the windows do not lock in our room or in the bathroom (locks are broken ). No, will not stay here again! DO NOT APPRECIATE OLD INFO AND DID NOT WANT TO HAVE TO DRIVE AND LOOK FOR A PLACE TO EAT!!!!

    « excellent hotel »

The exterior of the hotel looked a little old. Looks are deceiving because staff was friendly and prompt to provide the room. The room was clean and inviting with a southern decor. The stay was comforting and was able to relax.

    « Huge, modern rooms »

Stayed there overnight Jan 17, 2016. Older motel but rooms very clean, very large, nicely decorated with high ceilings and painted beams. TV, fridge, microwave all very modern. Good internet. Good breakfast. Only negative was the railroad across the street but only two trains came by during our stay. Highly recommend Mission Inn. dennsue@bresnan.net. Grand Junction, CO

Booked through Expedia and we were pleasantly surprised. Room was large, clean and well equipped. Comfortable beds. Good breakfast. Helpful and very nice people working there. They provided information about the area. We would stay again.

« 2nd Stay at BW Mission Inn - Very Good Accomodations »

We stayed at the BW Mission Inn in 2014 and it didn't disappoint. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and quiet. We requested a 1st floor room this time with no problem, as they were happy to oblige. Friendly staff and wonderful free hot breakfast included. If every passing thru Las Cruses again we will stay here.

Enjoyed staying at the B-W Mission Inn, it has a very nice spacious setting and the rooms are well furnished. The central location of the Motel gave us easy access to the City. We had a nice relaxing stay at the Motel.

« New Mexican charm but needs improvement »

Large room with nice furnishing and layout. Could not exit room because deadbolt would not move, had to exit thru window. Hotel staff had to enter same way. Very dangerous. Bitten by spider in bedding. Staff cordial. Breakfast nice.

« Not as good as other Best Western properties »

Bathtub was very slippery - the non-slip strips were completely ineffective and deceived me into thinking that I could take a step. Traintracks are very close and the whistle woke me up every night about 2 am. Breakfast buffet was bare minimum - no microwave to cook oatmeal, butter was rock hard, had to bug the waitress to get decaf. Price was pretty low, so it illustrates the point that you get what you pay for.

« Mission Inn - great place to stay in Las Cruces »

Spent five nights at the Mission Inn - is located close to the University and Mesilla (within a few miles). The rooms are large and comfortable (they are currently being refreshed / redone). The staff are friendly and the hotel amenities are good (breakfast buffet is good). The hotel is pet friendly. Would highly recommend.

    « Very Nice Hotel »

Nicely remodeled rooms. The staff was very friendly and gave me some good directions to local eating establishment. Breakfast was better than your typical best westerns. Most importantly the room was super clean. I like the feeling of walking into a room knowing its very clean. Two thumbs up to the housekeepers.

« NOT EVEN CLOSE TO BEST WESTERN WE'VE BEEN IN ! »

Good- comfortable bed, nice breakfast( only from 6 to 9).No hot water to make your oatmeal - you have to ask for it! At 9 o'clock exactly all the food was taken away! Plus when you get the free breakfast card at the front desk it says please don't forget about your server, what server ??? There was no server - just a person who takes care of the buffet. Bad- we stayed in " renovated room" with 30 years old faucets and bath tub, very poorly done tile work, great towels- very thin and grey( definitely need new ones). NO VENT in the bathroom (had to open the old window when was cold out). The furniture was really old and worn out with a really CREEPY MIRROR BEHIND THE TV OVERLOOKING THE BED !!! I felt like somebody was watching me and my husband from the other room ,like an interrogation room at the police station. REALLY LOUD TRAIN A COUPLE TIMES A NIGHT ! NOT GOING TO STAY OR RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL. I've stayed in hotels with 2 ?? rating that looked and felt way better than this "3 ???" hotel. Forgot to mention the trailer park across the street. Did I mention about the train? It goes by a couple times a night.

« Not Up to BW Standards »

Took awhile to find this place, in a rather run down neighborhood. The room was not bad, just kind of bare bones. I would have given it three stars if the neighborhood had been nicer. I won't stay here again.

    « A Superior Hotel »

The Best Western Mission Inn in Las Cruces surpassed our expectations. The grounds are immaculate; our room was large & the bed, comfortable. The breakfast buffet was a pleasant surprise. Not only is a cheerful staff member on hand to provide refills & keep the tables clear, but the buffet was constantly restocked with fluffy biscuits, scrambled eggs & sausages, much better fare than you usually find with a free motel breakfast. The location is very handy, both to the interstate, historic old Mesilla & downtown Las Cruces. We were happy to enjoy two nights at the hotel, even though the pool was closed for the season.

« Knights of Columbus Meeting »

Older motel, but well maintained. Rooms were good sized, bedding was clean and comfortable with a western feel. The staff were friendly and professional. In addition to being reasonably priced the breakfast and coffee were good. Great value!

« Two LOUD trains in the middle of the night »

This hotel would have a higher rating except for the LOUD train noise - twice in one night. The first time it happened, it sounded like the train was coming through the room. We arrived late at night and didn't notice the train tracks across the road. Overall, it was a large room with two comfortable queen beds. The pillows are lumpy as someone mentioned and need to be replaced. Loved the two suitcase racks. Most places only provide one. The lamps on the desk and bedside table provided great light with multiple plugs for all the electronics that needed charging. I always like seeing the sink and vanity area separate from the toilet and shower area so two people can get ready more quickly. Breakfast was good - scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, sausage links and cold cereal and fruit. The in-room refrigerator was quite loud so I turned it down to 1 setting so it wouldn't cycle on and off. Friendly staff at the front desk on check-in and getting breakfast coupons. Free Wi-Fi worked well.

« This is the place to stay! »

On this trip west, we stopped in Las Cruces instead of El Paso. It's only 30 miles or so up the I-10 and gets us away from all the bustle of EP. I am glad we chose the Mission Inn for our overnight stay. Tifaney checked us in with a smile and a professional manner. We were off to room 203 in a flash. These rooms are large; don't see many like this in the newer hotels unless you opt for a suite. The king bed was very comfortable, there were plenty of chairs available and the room and bath area were fresh and clean. Everything worked and we had no issues at all. We ate that night at Chillito's just down the road on South Valley Drive and enjoyed the food and service. Breakfast the next morning was good with a limited but well prepared selection of hot and cold items to choose from. Hotel guests receive a voucher from the front desk for the morning meal. A very friendly attendant takes good care of the morning diners. She was constantly checking on our coffee and any other needs. After breakfast we packed up and checked out with John at the front desk. He asked about our room and stay and wished us a safe trip on to Yuma. This is a great place to stay when you are headed west on I-10. Away from all the traffic, noise and hustle of El Paso, Las Cruces and the BW Mission Inn are just the ticket.

    « Hotel with a Great View. »

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It had a great view of the mountains. It had real character and was a great place for our stay. Room was very clean with many amentiies and a great friendly atmosphere.

« Rooms with no chairs »

We have stayed at this hotel many times in the last ten years. The staff, as usual, was excellent. We had not visited for three years, and the condition of the rooms continues to deteriorate over time. The sign in the lobby announces 'renovation', but that does not excuse filthy worn carpets and no chairs in the room. There's a nice desk and a well-lit vanity, but no place to sit and use them! Upon returning to the front desk, Jeff, who is an outstanding staff member, had a chair delivered within 20 minutes.

    « Great Find »

Very nice motel built in 1946. Large rooms with comfortable beds. The buffet breakfast was wonderful with many selections in a beautiful restaurant setting! We would definitely stay there again. They were in the process of remodeling the rooms.

we have stayed here 3 times and it has always been pleasant . location is a little far from restaurants about 5 to 10 minutes. We have never used the pool as it was too cold and was closed for season.

« Ok.....not nearly as good as stated »

Old hotel....dreary...thick new paint everywhere. Room was clean...door lock needed repair....beds okay...pillows lumpy....towels thin and grey. Need new towels for sure. Lighting in the room dim. Breakfast plentiful and good. Staff nice and helpful. Next stay in the area will be in another hotel.

This is the only placde in Las Cruses that I will stay at because of the service received. Everything there is first rate. I have been staying there wherever I have gone to New Mexico because It's easy to fined, within my budget and the service received is always top quatity.

    « Very Spacious »

Best Western Mission Inn has large rooms with King beds. The property is clean and the staff quite helpful. The rooms are arranged motel style around a central courtyard which provides good security. The morning breakfast included more items than is typical and the dining area was quite nice. A good place to stay....a good value.

    « Retro regal »

I love the ambience of this hotel. It's modern and clean, but the feel is retro. The central courtyard, the ample tile shelves and available surface areas, and the pet friendly atmosphere make it some place we would return to.

« Mission Inn Las Cruces »

One night stop on a road trip. Great stay. Mission Inn Las Cruces has large clean rooms close to lots of restaurants. Stayed in Van Horn on the way and it was horrible. We were not able to sample the free breakfast, but the dining area is large and very pretty.

« Terrible Check In Procedure »

I was surprised that the front desk person, Adam check in clerk, insisted he must see and keep information on my driver's license. He took down the digits and inputted into the hotel computer. He then took my credit card and swiped it for payment. He also insisted on my car license plate number and claimed he needed it to keep tabs on who was parked. This property was far from full and I am not sure why they need the make, model and then license plate number. Here is the issue I have with this process. First, I guaranteed my room via my Best Western frequent traveler account, which stated that I would be charged a night if I showed up or not. It also has all my contact information. Therefore, all he needed to do was verify my id and credit card number. Second, why did he need my license plate number when the property was far from full. This property also did not have security on the property and I did not see someone walk around and checking license plate numbers against a list. I suggest that management consider what they are asking customer and also consider that driver's license and vehicle license plate information to be confidential. I hope they keep this information safe from hackers?

« "Spanish Mission Close to Old Mesilla Village" »

This is an old Spanish looking hotel. The rooms are large and very clean also with the spanish decor. Our room had a microwave, refrigerator. The Breakfast was in a dinning room with service to your table a plus. They have a large selection of hot and cold breakfast very good. The staff and help were are very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again. Outdoor pool.

« Great Stay at Mission Inn »

This is an out-of-the-way quiet, attractive hotel. It is decorated in the lovely design of an old Spanish mission. My only complaint is the pidgins that spent the night in the tree over my car - but the hotel staff went out of their way to get some paper towels to help clean my windshield. The hotel is in an area that used to be the center of town, but In Las Cruces nothing is far from anywhere else. It was a nice stay.

« Best Western Las Cruzes New Mexico »

Much nicer than it first appears. Older property. Outside was extremely well taken care of. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Furniture was oversized and looked like the Old West. Could be updated. Colors in room too dark, would look better in lighter shades I would stay again, Nice hotel, nice people. Breakfast room is not only attractive, but food was very good and a wonderful lady working thre.

« Worst stay in the history of hotel stays. »

I picked this hotel because it wasnt far from the location of my business meetings. I checked in about midnight and cancelled the rest of my reservations at 2am. You can hear everything going on in the room next to you. As there seemed to be three people on drugs that didnt allow me to get any sleep. It is nearly 30 days later and I have yet to receive a refund for the three nights I didnt stay. The appearance of this hotel is fine but beyond that I do not recommend staying here. Not to mention the train that is near and loud.

    « Great lodging »

This hotel was very well cared for outside and inside. The room was nicely decorated, very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good, and the setting was impressive. The location was good if you were coming off I-10 but was not close to the popular restaurants or the shopping mall. Hope this is enough because I need to get on with my life.

    « Road trip »

Really like this place. They are updating the rooms, but still keeping the original theme. Interesting tile and wood beams in the room. The room was larger than your average hotel room, the sink area was roomy and separate from the shower. Wi-fi was just okay. This is an old style motel without elevators, but plenty of first floor rooms so you can park right outside your door. Breakfast was good. We look for fruit, cereal, yogurt. Coffee was just okay. We liked the beds, they were firm which is what we prefer. A place I would return to if in the area.

    « Las Cruces gem »

We have stayed at this hotel 3 times over several years. This trip we purposely chose it for its convenient location, very spacious comfortable rooms with extra seating, generous breakfast in a restaurant setting, and nice pool grounds. We booked our room and an adjacent room for family who drove from Phoenix to meet us. Although the hotel is on a main road, it sits way back and we never heard traffic noise. It's located within a short drive of the historic La Mesilla district and restaurants also making a good choice. The staff was very courteous and helpful with all our needs. We highly recommend this hotel!

2nd stay at this hotel. Found staff friendly, good breakfast and clean room. A bit hard to find, off the main routes. Undergoing some renovations but not disturbing. Breakfast was good with additional friendly waitress service.

    « Restful night »

After a long drive across west Texas it was a great pleasure to stop and rest in Las Cruces for the night. The room was very comfortable and allowed me to unwind. The staff was friendly, giving me directions for dinner options. Since I was traveling alone I felt very safe and secure staying at this location.

    « I could live here. »

I stay at this hotel when ever I pass though NM. Great location, clean inside and out. They were doing some remodeling/painting so most of the good parking went fast. I had some connectivity problems with wi-fi and I had to resolve the problem with the hotel ISP. One issue I always have with the sleeping quality. There are no headboards for the beds. If you are like me and like to watch TV in bed and prop up pillows against a headboard you won't be able to here.

« Know rates before hand »

Only BW in Las Cruces. Older motel but seemed well maintained. Clean. Did not try breakfast buffet. My family and I got 3 rooms. I checked in first and asked if they honored the free upgrade for Diamond members, in which the young lady said yes. I asked what the rate was and she quoted me 116, plus tax. She asked for my Diamond card and booked my room for 2 nights. Upon talking to other family members who got the 2 queen rooms (what I originally asked for), they stated that they paid about 85 dollars after taxes. I looked up the rates on line and noticed that rooms were about 73 dollars. Upon check out I informed the clerk that I had been over charged and should have had the 73 dollar rate (not including AAA discount), with the free upgrade. He informed me he could get me the rooms for 105 a night. After I insisted that this was not what I should be charged, he then lowered the rate to 73. Not sure if this was a misunderstanding upon check in, lack of training, or intentional. But, I will always check rates online before hand to make sure they are giving me the rate that I should get.

    « good overnight stay »

the rooms were clean, and the property well kept. The staff were warm and welcoming. The advertised bar and restaurant are no longer in business - this was a disappointment. If you have a pet it is well received with a lawn to walk on.

    « Clean but old. »

When we arrived at this motel I was very disappointed by the outside of the building and the office. I didn't think it was as nice as the pictures on line portrayed. I asked the receptionist if the rooms were nice and clean, she said yes. They had a sign in the office that they are renovating their guest rooms. Our room was large and clean. Furniture was consistent with the Mission design. The bed wasn't very comfortable. Breakfast which was included in the price of the room was good and their waitress was exceptional.

    5
« Comfy, clean and love the theme of the hotel. »

Room was clean and cold, bed was comfy and pillows were fluffy. Love the western theme of the rooms with the wooden beems and hand crafted wood chairs. We have used this hotel twice for concerts and we love it will continue to use it again and again whenever we need a room in Las Cruces!

« Solid hotel; always inexpensive »

I started booking this hotel on Priceline because I can almost guarantee they'll accept my bid on the ":name your own price" tool. Not disappointed at all; an older hotel that has been remodeled and updated. Comfortable rooms, good service, hot full breakfast buffet. What's not to like for the price?

    5
    « Perfect stop over »

Driving from Ft worth to Phoenix this was a perfect stop to stay the night. Found a deal online for 70/ night. The rooms are big and clean. Nice ac. Beds were very comfy with 4 pillows! Cable TV and the breakfast was great. Buffet w eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, waffles, cereal and assorted bread. I will def stay here again.

    5
    « Retro and Authentic »

Brings a general feel of different cultures through there interior design, sculptures and pictures all through out the main office and rooms. I felt really at home while at this place, and i would choose to stay here again.
