« Everything is great but the breakfast! »

Very attentive staff . Clean rooms, comfy beds and pillows. Had some issues with the parking garage and access to it. Bottom line is we couldn't get in. We were told to park at the Chevron station . This was only a temporary solution. We were called to move our car or it would be towed! Breakfast was just plain bad. It was better than nothing but it wasn't very appetizing. We ended up just grabbing coffee and eating elsewhere. For the price of the hotel I think they could fix the glitches in the parking garage and and provide a better breakfast for their guests.

    « Comfortable »

We stayed 4 night's and were very comfortable. The rooms (bedroom + sitting room) were large, comfortable and well equipped. The breakfast was good, but I would have preferred proper plates and cutlery, rather than paper/plastic ones. The staff were helpful and friendly. There is a shopping mall across the road for essentials we had forgotten. There is also a Starbucks and couple of other food outlets and large Safeway. It is not that close to the Ferry, or harbour - where the nicer resturants are - so you need a car to get around.

« Bainbridge Island Best Western »

My friend and I were very pleased with our stay and appreciated the friendly staff from the housekeeping staff to the desk staff. We thought the grab and go bags were a nice extra. We took advantage of them on the day we were shopping. We also appreciated having secured out of the weather underground parking.

    « Back to Bainbridge »

2nd return in a year for a family wedding. Hotel conveniently located across from restaurants, shopping and other amenities. Superb breakfast available at reasonable hours. A short trip to the Seattle-bound ferry. Overall, a very pleasant experience.

« Very nice hotel near the ferry »

We chose to take the ferry to Bainbridge rather than deal with the high prices and parking fees in Seattle. Good idea. This hotel was clean and the folks at the desk were friendly and very accommodation. Our room overlooked the gas station next door which isn't a problem unless you want to open a window. It is very noisy. The hotel is right across the street from a shopping center with a food store, drug store, pizza place and sports bar. Nice folks, good location, comfy bed and a very nice breakfast. I would definitely consider this BW on a return visit.

« Comfortable room; a.m. street noise not so great »

Nice room with comfortable beds and space for small labradoodle to do wind sprints. Short-term parking somewhat iffy; you've got to park under the hotel if surface spaces full; noise from main streets and next-door Chevron gas station not so great between 6:30 am and 6:00 pm. A couple of places for OK grub across the street; otherwise, it's a short drive to the "downtown" food mecca.

« Stay here, and take the Ferry to Seattle! »

We originally planned a friends outing for Seattle staying near the Space Needle. That was cost prohibitive for some, so we opted for this property on Bainbridge. We flew in Friday morning and took a Limo to the Ferry. We were on board 10 minutes after arrival and enjoyed a 30 minutes ride to Bainbridge. From there the BW is a 5 minute cab ride. Uber is also an option. Upon arrival we noted it is,a smaller property located near everything. Bars, restaurants, grocery, wineries etc. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Rooms well sized and clean. A nice touch was the fresh, warm cookies in the evening. Standard BW complimentary breakfast. An attendant nearby to keep the area tidy and food fresh. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful with logistics of the island, how to get around and suggestions on dining. I would definitely stay here again whether for Bainbridge activities or Seattle city activities. The ferry runs frequently and is inexpensive.

« Very nice hotel at beautiful Bainbridge Island »

It was my second stay at this property this year, and again, it was a great experience. At first, I got a bit worried, as my reservation was for two queen beds, and when we stepped in the room, it was a one king bed room. The gal at the front desk apologized, and quickly found a double queen room to switch with. The hotel was totally booked, so we were very happy to have the correct room. I am a travel agent with AAA Washington, and I would highly recommend this hotel!!! Plus freshly made warm chocolate chip cookies at the front desk!

    « Great Experience »

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Since we arrived late in the evening, the staff provided several options for a meal nearby. Parking was easy and convenient. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. The extra sitting area was great to relax and watch TV. The mini-refrigerator and counter area was space that provided a great area to organize and eat our take-out dinner. We loved that our windows would open for fresh air. The room is not a luxury room but meets a travelers' needs very well.

    « A Lovely Experience »

This was a very lovely hotel, convenient and clean with very nice staff. I did not have breakfast there, but noticed that it was served early and remained open later than usual. I was on my way to a stay at IslandWood and was able to do some laundry, go out for breakfast and check out in plenty of time.

« A centrally located oasis in Bainbridge Island »

We stayed in a little suite with a small kitchen. It was perfect as our home base as we drove around the island, relishing a weekend getaway. There is even shopping and a Starbucks right across the street. The room was very clean and nicely decorated. We would definitely go back!

    5
    « Well worth it! »

Great location, light and cheerful lobby, easy and secure parking, clean and comfortable room, comfortable bed, excellent bathroom, good shower, sitting area with good TV and also a TV in sleeping area, adequate hot breakfast,

« A beautiful Hotel on Bainbridge Island »

Just a great hotel, all the employees were all trying and succeeding in making this hotel a beautiful place to stay in Seattle If you are traveling don't miss the ferry to near to Bainbridge Island and at Best Western Plus you won't regret it

    4
« Quiet Getaway from downtown Seattle »

Bainbridge Island is a short ferry ride from downtown Seattle. Very quaint, quiet, & peaceful place to stay after spending the day at the ballpark or downtown Seattle. It is within walking distance of the ferry terminal; about 20 minutes. Would definitely stay there again.

    « Excellent room »

Very pleased with a large suite style room which felt it was almost like new and was spotlessly clean. The hotel is well positioned on the edge of town with its own parking garage for easy access to reception. We walked down to the town centre but it is no more than a 5 minute drive if you can find a parking space. So as far as rooms and access goes the Best western is excellent. One small point is that I like to have the option of a room safe when travelling and this was not available. The reception area doubles up as the breakfast room in the morning and to be honest it is too small compared to the size of the property. Breakfast on the morning we were there was very poor and seemed inadequately staffed so the coffee was cold and the orange juice ran out but regarless of that it apperared to be a very basic choice anyway. Overall we were happy with our stay but dont expect too much from breakfast.

« Great introduction to Bainbridge Island »

The Best Western Plus was a pleasant surprise. The staff was very welcoming - like family. The chocolate chip cookies at check in were warm and yummy. Room was large and clean. Bed comfy. Parking secure. Location convenient. Did not need anything more. Thanks for a great start to our vacation...

« Best hotel experience I have had. »

We arrived early and the lady at the desk said she would have hot cookies in a few minutes if we wanted. For breakfast the eggs were almost gone and a guy popped out and said he would fill it up for us right away. As we left the front desk had a brown paper bag with a water bottle, banana, and granola bar for us to take. Every part of our stay was outstanding!! The employees were all so hospitable and welcoming. What a joy to stay here. It was also only a few blocks from the ferry and downtown. Perfect location.

    « A superb home from home »

Our stay on wonderful Bainbridge Island was capped by a positive experience at the Best Western. The facility is well appointed, clean and modern and our rooms were great with clean linen and comfortable beds. We slept very well. The staff were all very friendly and treated us with warmth and respect. They went out of their way to make us comfortable. We look forward to a return trip and would definitely recommend this facility with a top review.

    5
    « Very nice, quiet »

This was a very nice hotel, though a little tricky to check in to. After check in guests have access to a pretty secure, covered parking area which was nice. Room was spacious and quiet for 2 nights. Breakfast was great!

    5
    « Great Stay!!! »

I've never stayed anywhere that the staff were as welcoming and helpful. My room was very comfortable and housekeeping was immaculate. This is THE place to stay on Bainbridge Island. I will be staying here again next week.

    « Reunion HQ »

This was the place we chose for the 28 of us for the reunion. They gave us a block of rooms and a special rate for the group. Rooms were nice. The staff was friendly. The breakfast included was very good. No volume control or mute on the tv in the room. Nice location.

    4
    « Very nice »

Clean, comfortable, good location, huge room, good breakfast. Bed a little too soft for my liking, but it was a nice room and a comfortable stay. Blinking light on telephone wouldn't turn off. Hotel staff wasn't helpful with that, but we didn't make an issue of it. Just covered the phone w/ a towel. The staff was very nice, tho'!

    5
    « perfect getaway! »

We had a wonderful stay. Clean, beautiful room, great service and breakfast was exceptional, both food and service! Highly recommend this hotel. Bainbridge Island is a wonderful getaway with lots to do and see. Loved the Art Gallery.

    5
« One of the best »

This was our first stay at Bainbridge Island and at the Best Western Suites on the Island. We will definitely be back, hopefully next year. We especially liked having a TV in the front room area and one in the bedroom area. This way my husband watched the news and I watched whatever. Thank you, Best Western.

    4
« awesome alternative to seattle »

We stayed here rather than downtown seattle in order to save some money (and headaches.) We were happy with this decision! There were restaurants and wineries nearby and the ferry to the city was scenic. The hotel itself was clean and quiet, free parking and breakfast. Our room was great- king bed, kitchenette, living area, and bath.

    « 4 Nights Of Peace »

This property was so very pleasant! From the moment I walked in, Christopher, at the desk was so friendly and personable! From the housekeepers to the hot cookie smell wafting through the building, this was a grand stay. Priced right and located perfectly. Safeway across the street, the ferry 5 minutes away...no complaints!

    5
    « Great hotel! »

We had a queen suite with kitchen- very comfortable! We had a television in the main living area as well as the bedroom. We were in room 207 which had a nice courtyard view. The room was clean and the ice machine and vending machine were convenient. The shopping center across the street has a Safeway, and if you think you'll utilize that convenience bring a shopping bag as they charge for them. Breakfast was good, staff was very friendly and accommodating. The only drawback is that taxis are very limited (we had to share a van with 8 other people on the way in) and waited 1/2 hour to get a taxi back from a late lunch on a Monday. We would have had an hour wait but the amazing hotel manager (Linda) called and managed to get us a shorter wait. They do have door to door public service bus (Monday through Friday I believe) that you can request if you are a senior or disabled. I was appreciative that they are very cognizant of keeping the pet-friendly rooms separate from the others- as someone with allergies that's an important point to me. This hotel understands customer service!

    4
    « Great Weekend Stay »

Stayed Friday and Saturday nights with another couple for a getaway weekend. Room are suites with a living room and a bedroom. Very comfortable, clean and roomy. We had a great stay. Breakfast was hot and good. Starbucks and Safeway are right across the street! Strange hotel set up does not have stair access from the lobby to the 2nd floor, so be prepared to take the elevator, even if you are one floor up. (Total pain in the butt! Especially if you hate elevators.) Wifi is super weak. Don't expect to watch videos. This could easily be improved and will need to be to get a 5 star. Otherwise, very good hotel.

    5
    « Wonderful small hotel! »

The hotel was a very pleasant surprise on an island without many other choices. The rooms were large and comfortable. There are good restaurants nearby that the staff suggested to us. We would definitely stay here again.

    4
    « Pet-friendly and Dine-In »

We had a pet-friendly suite which included a lounge area with a full kitchen. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I liked having the sitting room as we could keep the dog cage in there and not have it constantly in our way. We used the kitchen one night for dinner and having all the kitchen items already there makes that super easy. A couple of things I found frustrating was that our room had no overhead lighting and the lamplight was very dim. The door to the pet bathroom area outside had no key card access so you had to walk all the way around to the front or remember to bring something to put in the door so you could get back in. There is no driveway receiving area to the hotel, which was confusing when we first pulled up. And, no shuttle service to and from the ferry. The staff was friendly and the breakfast area was in the lobby. We didn't have breakfast there, but it sounded good and they have patio seating outside. Across the street is a grocery store, coffee shop, pharmacy and restaurant.

    « Island Time »

The accommodations appeared to be newly built. Our room was a 2 room suite with a queen and a sleeper couch. The underground parking is secure and convenient. There is no pool, but this Best Western Plus offers a lot of value in an Island paradise location. I recommend you book now before the word is spread how great of a value this hotel and the island really is.

    5
    « Great stay! »

By far the nicest and most affordable place we stayed while traveling around the Seattle area! It was great to get out of the city and see if from a different view -being on Bainbridge Island. Parking for the hotel is underground, so very safe and secure. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, and nice view. Only 'issue' was the construction noise across the street but with the windows closed it kept a lot of the noise muffled. Breakfast was good for a complimentary perk with your room. Location is a little further than the main drag but still lots of options for restaurants to walk to around the area along with a gas station right next store. I would for sure stay again!

    5
    « Stay Here! »

I loved Christopher, the front end clerk. The rooms were very clean & comfortable. I disliked the fact that the light bulb that I reported in the bedroom, & the remote for the living room went unfixed, even though I reported them both twice.

    4
    « Pleasantly surprised! »

I don't usually stay in a Best Western but this was a nice surprise. Clean, many breakfast options including waffles. The location was great. They have secure underground parking. Tip: if you are a light sleeper ask for a room away from the neighboring gas station. They woke me up both mornings with trash removal or big trucks traffic.

    5
    « Great Place ! »

Very clean room. Close to a grocery store. Beautiful walk down to the waterfront. Enjoyed our stay and the hotel staff were all very friendly ! Have already recommended this hotel to others that are traveling there.

    4
« Comfortable and centrally located »

Very happy to have found this hotel. The location is awesome ( across from Starbucks , Safeway and other shops). On island visiting friends and needed a place to stay to have our own space . Rooms are comfortable and spacious. Front desk staff is very friendly and accommodating.

    5
    « Comfortable and Welcoming »

We chose to stay at this hotel on our way to Olympic National Park, and we were not disappointed. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. It was also very clean. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful including one young man who actually told us where not to eat nearby. We appreciated his honesty. We loved being able to sit outside to eat breakfast and also to open the windows (with screens) in our room to enjoy some fresh air before and after our activities each day. I admit that we also liked the delicious fresh deli selections at the gas station next door to this hotel.

    5
    « Surprised... »

i would have never believed that a Best Western would be so nice. Felt like home, CLEAN, PLEASANT staff. the room was very large, bedding clean, bathroom large and clean. did i mention clean?? this was lovely. I will stay at Best Western again in the future.

    5
« great service & location for Seattle medical »

You need to get outside King County (and Sea-Tac airport) to get away from the ridiculous hotel/rental car tax. Bainbridge Island & this hotel is such an easy 30-min ferry crossing, cheap, & in the morning, no problem dealing with Seattle rush-hour as you are going against the flow It is very peaceful compared to Seattle, and it is a beautiful island with lots of excellent local restaurants & interesting shops.

    5
    « Nice Hotel! »

Missed our ferry to Seattle so we decided to stay in Bainbridge Island. Did not have reservations and decided to try this hotel. It was late when we arrived and the hotel staff was so friendly and accommodating. Our room was big, clean and the bed was so comfortable. We opened the windows while we slept and it was such a nice breeze! Although there were not a lot of options on the buffet breakfast, everything was very tasty. Also they served real oatmeal, not instant, which was a big plus to me! Will definitely return to this hotel!

« Bainbridge Best Western Plus »

This hotel was one of the nicest chain hotels that we have been to. The front desk personnel were welcoming and helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable and the whole hotel was very clean. The free breakfast was especially well done, most of the usual items but served in a gracious setting and well monitored by the breakfast manager. I would highly recommend this hotel.

    5
« Felt like being with family »

We were greeted with the smell of delicious fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies as we walked in the door. Shout out to Christopher who bakes these daily treats at 5pm. Breakfast was ample, well stocked, and a casual place to congregate. Our suite was thorough cleaned everyday while we were away. The friendly staff helped us in many ways while we were there. We will return to this well located hotel.

« Great Place to Stay When Visiting Seattle »

My wife and I decided to stay here for three nights due to the cost of hotels and parking in Seattle. It is about a 20 minute walk from the hotel to the Seattle ferry or you can catch a cab to the dock for $5. The ferry ride take 35 minutes to Seattle...round trip fare is a bit over $8 per person. There are plenty of places to eat close to the hotel....McDonalds, Subway and a Starbucks within a few minutes walk. Other places to eat are located near the ferry dock. The hotel has one of the better continental breakfasts for a hotel which includes hot scrambled eggs, sausage and hash brown tots. Free parking is located under the hotel in a garage. Our large room included a king size bed, sitting room and small kitchen. Flat screens were located in the bed room area and the sitting room. Free internet service is available. Our room included a small kitchen with a small refrigerator, microwave, top stove, dishwasher and small sink. The cupboards include a set of dishes for 4 people. A Safeway grocery store is located directly across the street. Our room was clean, the bed was very comfortable and the shower was hot. We would stay here again on a return trip to the area.

    5
    « Great Place »

good place to stay with places to eat right across the street. Ferry ride to and from Seattle is magnificent. The view of the Seattle skyline on the ferry at dark is awesome. Very secure underground parking.

    5
« Staff was awesome and so was the room »

After a long day of traveling with a 15 month old, we were so relieved when we opened the door to our room. We had everything that we needed (crib, extra towels). The breakfast was very good...they even had real oatmeal that wasn't the consistency of glue. Will definitely book here again and recommend highly.

    4
    « One night stay »

The room we were initially assigned to was a King - which I had requested. The room had a very bad chemical smell so we requested a change. The only other room they had was a Queen - handicapped room. The room was OK, but because it was a handicapped shower, it leaked all over the bathroom floor. The breakfast was your standard motel breakfast. This was a corner room looking over the street and a mini-mart gas station - pretty loud.

    5
« Wish we could have stayed longer! »

Great location, although being on the water would be nice, I don't know if that is available anywhere. Easy to find from the ferry, across from a Starbucks, nice walk down to the shops, restaurants and water. Hotel staff was very friendly & helpful. Wonderful room, felt larger than many 'regular' hotel rooms. Light & sunny with several windows. Only got to spend one night but would be nice accommodations for a longer stay too!

    5
« Great stay on Bainbridge Island »

We had a great stay at this hotel. We didn't rent a car for this trip to Seattle. We took the train from the airport and walked to the ferry. We took the ferry to Bainbridge Island and walked to the hotel. It was a little over a mile, mostly uphill, but worth it. The staff was friendly. They handed us a goody bag when we checked in that was filled with a bottle of water and some snacks. Breakfast was good, typical hotel breakfast food. The room was clean and quiet. We barely knew that others were in the hotel. As a bonus, there were fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies in the afternoons. All of the little touches made this hotel a great stay for us.

    5
    « Great Stay »

This Best Western was lovely and the breakfast was pretty good as Hotel breakfasts go. We were hoping they had rooms that sleep five, but they do not, so we had to get two rooms - other than that, it was a pleasure to stay here.

    « Cardinals Weekend »

What a sweet and cozy island Bainbridge Island is. Only two hotels and one BnB on the island and we had grandkids with us so the BnB was out as it is a no children property. We opted for Best Western and had a very enjoyable stay. Their complimentary breakfast buffet had multiple selections and a waffle station the grandkids loved. In addition to fresh fruit, eggs, oatmeal and more. The sausage wasn't the best but overall a very good presentation and clean area. The rooms are all quite large, very clean and designed to be suites - some with full kitchens and others with mini fridge and microwave. My only real complaint is that the location is a bit of a walk uphill with no real straight shot to get there. The island taxi service is less than marginal and the hotel would benefit by adding a ferry shuttle service even with a cost would be a huge improvement and provide excellent customer service. I do recommend staying here for a much less costly experience than directly downtown in Seattle and enjoy the island which is very charming and quite lovely!

    « Good for Bainbridge »

On the island of Bainbridge, there's limited choices for hotels and this one seems to be the best. When we first checked in, we got a room with 2 queen beds, but it smelled like dogs were in there prior to us. And there were some wet spots on the carpet near the bed. It wasn't awful or unbearable but we are very sensitive to dog smells, cat dander, etc. Allergies are pretty strong. However we were able to switch rooms to a floor that won't allow pets. After that, it was great! We were on the top floor so no one was above us and it was quiet the rest of the night so we got great sleep! Breakfast was blah compared to the other places I've stayed that offer breakfasts. Eggs, bacon, and hash browns were not filled when needed. Milk for cereal neither. The man working the kitchen/food area seemed oblivious to anything being filled up, and worked very slowly. Coffee was gross as well. Needless to say I only ate a piece of bacon and went to Croquette for a croissant instead

    2
    « Put in a cheaper room »

Booked a king suite and was put in a queen suite. After complaining we were moved to a standard room but with a king bed. Not happy because it's not what I paid for. Maybe because I booked on Expedia instead of directly with best Western? Don't know.

    4
« Great Staff; Good Location »

Free underground parking a plus. Staff was very nice. Our first night, we had a corner room with the gas station on one side and High School Rd on the other. It was a bit too noisy for us. When the next morning we asked to be moved to a quieter room, the receptionist was very gracious and was able to accommodate our request. The hotel is clean. The location is a mile from the ferry. The breakfast offerings were eggs, bacon, dry cereal, yogurt, oatmeal, breads. Nothing fancy, but more than adequate. Will stay here again on our return trip.

    3
« Great staff, disappointed with place »

Very friendly, accommodating staff & a very clean hotel still disappoints. Beware of rooms with street view - or worse, a very busy gas station. None of rooms have better that a courtyard view. Located across from shopping center and away from downtown and marina.

    5
    « a great place to stay »

We recently stayed at the hotel for 10 nights while we visited Seattle and family. It was a great place to return to after a busy day in the city. Bainbridge Island was very pretty and we enjoyed taking the ferry across the water to Seattle. We enjoyed the half hour walk to the ferry terminal and did not find it a problem. The hotel is across the road from lots of handy shops and eating places. Try to visit Bloedel Reserve on Bainbridge it will not disappoint.

    3
« Ok hotel nothing special for a plus »

The rooms are massive but can be a bit noisy from above rooms and some noise from petrol station right next door. Wifi is excellent and fast. Underground free parking is a real bonus. Beds ok just average and rest of the room ok if a bit dark. The breakfast was average if you don't mind paper plates and plastic spoons, but with only half a dozen tables to eat at it hard finding a seat for breakfast, that's held in the lobby like an afterthought no real breakfast room. The is also no safe in room and can hire a plastic box as a safe that they keep in reception.

    5
    « Nice Surprise »

My wife and I really liked this hotel. I read a few of the reviews and was a little hesitant but we needed a hotel close to the Seattle ferry for an early morning doctors appointment and this Best Western seemed like the best choice. The receptionist at check in was great. A super friendly lady and very helpful. We asked for a room on the floors that are not pet friendly due to the fun allergies that both my wife and I suffer from. She found a room on the 4th floor in the back of the hotel. It was a great room. This room has a full kitchen, a small living room with a flat screen TV and a separate bedroom with a very comfortable king bed and another TV. The bathroom was large with a curved shower. Everything was exceptionally clean and seemed well cared for. This hotel was super quiet, I didn't hear a sound from any other guests. There is a free underground parking garage. The hotel is a 3 minute drive from the ferry to Seattle. The breakfast looked pretty good with scrambled eggs, sausage and tater tots. There was also a variety of continental items. We will return and use this hotel and Bainbridge Island as a vacation base to visit Seattle and the surrounding areas. It is an easy 35 minute ferry ride and you can avoid the rip off Seattle hotels that now charge over $50.00 for parking in addition to their ridiculous rates. There is also a small shopping area across the street with a Safeway, Subway and a few other shops. There is also a Chevron gas station right next door with a highly rated deli called Jakes that is hidden in the back of the store. The Yelp reviews of this place rave about the food but we will have to wait for our next stay to try this place out.

« Great room, ordinary breakfast »

We must have been secretly upgraded, because we got a suite without paying extra for it. Clean, spacious, well appointed. The breakfast was okay, but I had heard that some renowned retired chef worked there, and the breakfast wasn't anything special. At least the scrambled eggs were fluffy and hot, which isn't always the case at motel breakfasts. Checking in is awkward your first time, if you don't know to enter the parking garage below (and how to get the door to open).

    « In need of a remodel »

I realize the island is quaint, and the hotels aren't meant to mimic Seattle - but this hotel is in need of a remodel. You have to take the elevator to lower level areas - no stairs - and the construction is such that you have to go outside to access rooms not attached the main unit - it's like a poorly constructed maze. While the service was friendly and it is clean - the entire place needs to be refreshed and updated. I almost got the feeling that because they are the biggest - and one of the few hotels on the island - they continue to capture market share without trying. I will not be staying here again.

    « Friendliest hotel »

Everyone seemed to know everyone. Many were repeat guests and they were greeted by staff as long time friends with hugs and life updates. Great location across from Starbucks and grocery store. Washer/dryer was handy. Suite was nice. My daughter forgot her favorite stuffed animal and they found it and sent it back to us. Breakfast was nice.

    « Reliable and friendly »

I have family on the island and visit regularly. This property is well-managed with a friendly staff. Always clean and nice rooms and dog friendly. The breakfast buffet has a nice assortment of choices and is refreshed regularly. Our grandkids like it here as well. Underground parking is nice in winter or hot summer days. Across the street from a grocery store.

    « Stay here!!! »

Was warmly greeted by Christy who couldn't have been nicer and more helpful! Great start to our trip! The suite was spacious, clean and quiet. Breakfast excellent. Highly recommend staying here. Starbucks and Safeway directly across the street was a big plus.

« Always seem to have a good experience »

Internet could be better as it drops all the time. I do wish the breakfast would change up a bit as we don't do carbs and processed foods. Also wish there was more dressers in the bedroom. It is weird that you cant take the stairs from the 1st floor unless you get someone to unlock the doors for you from OUTSIDE

« Comfortable Hotel with good service »

We spent 4 nights on the Island taking the Ferry to explore Seattle. The Ferry terminal is in walkable distance (about 20 minutes). A Shopping Center with Safeway, Starbucks, Restaurants etc. is across the street. We loved coming back to Bainbridge in the evening to this quiet and laid back atmosphere. Service in the Hotel is really good the ladies at the reception were really helpful finding a nice and more quiet room. From our Point of view rooms are a bit dark but they are spacious especially the king room with kitchenette. The complimentary breakfast is really good - much better than we expected. We would definetely come back.

« Kick back and relax. »

This hotel was very clean, staff very professional and helpful, when needed. The location is very convenient when going into Seattle by ferry. There are many quaint stores as well as restaurants on the island that are within walking distance of this hotel. I would highly recommend the Best Western when visiting Bainbridge Island.

« Nice place to land »

After a long day of field work, the Best Western Plus Bainbridge was nice to come "home" to. Surprisingly quiet even with the window open. Convenient location and close to downtown Bainbridge where there are great places to eat and shop.

« Stayed the night after Billy Joel concert at Safeco Field »

This was a very clean room. The sleeping area was separate. They had a microwave and sm fridg. Everything you needed for overnighting. We knew we would be too tired to drive home after a late night. We checked in early so we could have dinner before the ferry to Seattle. They have a nice garage to park in with a entrance to the hotel. Breakfast is served from 6 to 10am. The bar is tended by a worker. You get scrambled eggs, sausage and tater tots. Waffles, fruit, cereal, yogurt and everything for a satisfying breakfast. The attendant keeps everything full and cleaned and is very helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

    « Nice hotel »

We had a great room with a separate sofa & TV room. The free hot breakfast included eggs and waffles. We had free garage parking and the hotel is very close to the ferry and to the business district. It was a pleasant surprise!

    « First time visitor »

Typical of "locals", this was our first time to visit Bainbridge Island after 40 years in the Puget Sound area. Our "staycation" at the Best Western did not disappoint. Immaculately clean, attractive, pleasant staff and situated close to the ferry terminal (but far enough away that traffic and noise were nonissues), dining and shopping. Add in the included breakfast and our stay was pretty much perfect.

    « Great Visit »

We arrived late at night after a delayed flight into Seattle. 10:30pm. Checkin was unremarkable. The room was a total surprise. It was very large, two queen beds, a sitting area, large entryway with modified kitchenette and the bathroom was a nice size. The bed was comfy cozy and the room quiet so i slept very well. Breakfast was decent. Hotel has a welcoming vibe and i will definitely use again.

    « Fantastic hotel »

Excellent room, service and the room was extremely quiet. We were directly across from the elevator and never heard it. We had breakfast both mornings and it was perfect for all 4 of us. Loved the rooms, they were spacious and comfortable.

    « Very nice »

Super clean. Comfortable. Easy to find. Nice rooms. The only reason I did not give five stars is because they lost our reservation. And the customer who came in after us had a messed up reservation as well. Otherwise , great stay The location of the hotel is great too. Very little traffic noise

« Long Stay for medical »

Excellent service, very good handicapped room and wheelchair access (Had an operation that required no air-travel). Perfect location for ferry to Seattle to hospital on First Hill. Price was right as didn't include King County (Seattle & SEA-TAC airport) 17% bed tax & rental car tax to pay for Seattle's 2 stadiums! That paid for the ferry (with vehicle), the Airporter, and then some. Location on Bainbridge excellent and beautiful, good stores, excellent restaurants, plenty of nature preserves and water views, friendly people. In seven weeks, had nothing but good experiences.

    « Nice hotei »

Great breakfast every morning. Friendly staff and a clean hotel. Short drive to the ferry. Starbucks and a pizza place are right across the street. The parking garage is very convenient and easy to access. The room was spacious and the beds were comfy. Would stay here again on my next visit. Can't wait to go back.

    « Gem »

Great hotel with large rooms and very clean. Our room actually had a separate sitting area which gave it more of a studio apartment feeling. The property is centrally located, close to shops, restaurants and the ferry terminal. There is a shopping center directly across the street with a very nice (large chain) grocery store.

« DO NOT BOOK IF YOU ARE TAKING A LATE FLIGHT IN!!!!!! »

My overall experience with this particular Best Western has not been positive. This is based on the customer service not the comfort of the room. The room and facility was nice and conveniently situated in town and near the ferry. When I made the reservation I was anticipating a late arrival as my flight was a late afternoon flight out of Casper, Wyoming, and I was expecting to get into Seattle around 10:00 p.m. Unfortunately,my connecting flight was several hours delayed and I wasn't able to make the ferry to get to the hotel that night which meant that I was unable to check-in until the following day. I had called the hotel on two separate occasions to let them know that my flight out of Denver, Colorado was delayed and I didn't think that I was going to make it. The second time I called on Friday, the gal told me not to worry and if I was unable to make it by 1:30 a.m. as she would change my check-in date to Saturday. I suppose I should have verified when I checked in on Saturday rather than trusting that they would honor their word but when I went to check out on Sunday morning I noticed that they had charged me for Friday night as well. I told them them that I called when my flight was delayed on Friday night and the gal I talked to said that if I wasn't able to make it by 1:30 a.m. she would change my check-in date to Saturday. I was told that they would need to talk to the manager to approve waiving Friday and they would let me know. After not hearing from them for a few days I called to check on the status and was told that they were still looking into it. I called again and they told me that they needed to talk to the gal who was working on Friday night and that they would call me back on Saturday morning...NEVER HAPPENED.

    « Close to everything »

The hotel is close to the people I visit, my favorite restaurants, downtown and the ferry. It's in walking distance to all those places. The staff is awesome too! The parking garage is a great feature as on street parking is limited.

    « Great hotel »

Great hotel in a perfect location- less than five minutes from the Bainbridge Island ferry terminal. Easy drive to some superb restaurants in the town...and the location makes it easy to enjoy a good meal prior to getting back on the ferry to Seattle.

« Immaculate, Quiet and Spacious »

I had a business trip scheduled with a client on Bainbridge Island. Normally I'd just stay in Seattle. This trip I decided to spend the night on the island at the Best Western Plus. I am so glad I did. This hotel is quite new and features very large rooms. There is a frig, and a microwave in each room. It was hands down the cleanest little hotel room I've enjoyed in a very long time. If you bring your car there is guest parking in a garage below the hotel. It is too far to walk from the ferry, but is a very short cab ride. There is a nice continental breakfast in the lobby each morning and it is right across the street from a little mall with a supermarket and 3 or 4 casual restaurants. I'll make it a point to stay here again and again.

« Home away from home »

We love this hotel. We are alway greeted by friendly staff, even when we take a few extra fresh baked cookies they offer their guests. The rooms are clean well stocked and comfy. Its like a home away from home only better because I don't have to make the bed! :-)

« Very Nice Clean Hotel - BIG ROOMS! »

The family came up from Lake Oswego, Oregon for a Memorial service. We all stayed at the Bainbridge Best Western hotel... Very Nice!! Newer hotel, with very large rooms (suites) with a refrigerators, sitting area... Rooms were big enough to hold six people while we had a small Happy Hour cocktail. It is a mile (??) from the ferry dock, and the main drag of Winslow St. I Would highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a well priced, centrally located and FREE parking to boot. Enjoy! West-Morry PS: there is a Safeway grocery store, Rite Aid drug, a Pub and other shops in a small shopping center across the street.

« Good, clean, comfortable place to stay »

We enjoyed the comfortable, clean, well appointed room with a good breakfast and to-go bag if in a hurry to get going. The area was good for shopping and walking and the hotel was well located. Parking was fine once you figured it out.

    « Clean and comfortable »

We vacationed for 4 days on Bainbridge Island and enjoyed our time spent at the Best Western. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. I am very picky about cleanliness and was very satisfied with the room. The staff were professional and attentive. When we return to Bainbridge we'll stay at the Best Western again.

« Centrally located and clean and neat as a pin! »

I live here and I was a little nervous booking this place for my fastidious brother and his wife and 3 kids. We know they like to travel sort of upscale and I was worried it wouldn't be fancy enough for them. Well, that's not the case. The rooms were lovely. Large, clean, the beds were big and comfortable, the linens immaculate. The room came with a Kuerig coffee maker, lots of towels and a central location that can't be beat. Right across from Safeway, Starbucks, RiteAid, and a bunch of great small businesses, it was great for the teens to be able to walk across the street to Subway for a sandwich or the store to get a drink without worrying about them. The front desk staff couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. I can't say enough good things about this hotel! Thanks to Linda for a great stay and the rest of the staff for all your hard work. It shows and we appreciate it.

« Great hotel in Bainbridge Island! »

I was very pleased with the Best Western Plus on Bainbridge Island. The rooms are spacious, attractive, and clean. The wifi is fast. The bathroom is a good size and there is enough counter space. Parking is secure. Very good location - close to shops and dining.

    « Good »

Big room, very clean, nice staffs, quality bed, big and clean bathroom, good breakfast, close to shopping. The hotel room is missing a desk and chair, not convenient for business traveler. Otherwise this is a great hotel.

« Hurting themselves, perhaps inadvertently? »

We booked a king suite for 3 nights. The suite includes a full kitchenette, which is convenient for munchies, leftovers from restaurants, etc. The bed was comfortable but there was not necessarily any true place for clothing except the closet with only 6 hangers. The bathroom was superb, but housekeeping is not. Bathroom cups were not replaced as used, and that can and did get awkward. A sticky spot remained on the desk for 2 days. An extra blanket left near the uncomfortable couch was not even folded during room cleaning, but left in a heap. Staff is considerate and hospitable, but breakfast and the dining/serving facilities are laughable. Breakfast hot choices were repeatedly lukewarm scrambled eggs, cold, mushy tater-tots and link sausage. Hot oatmeal is available in a heated tureen and appropriate condiments for the oatmeal are offered. Cold cereal comes in 3 choices, but if anyone wants milk, it appears to sit out in pitchers the entire service time. Waffle makers, a toaster, and a limited selection of bagels and breads complete hot options; there is yogurt in a cooler. Frankly, I expected better for the #1 ranked hotel on the island. One more thing about the breakfast area: all tables are high-top with coordinating chairs. Being mobility-impaired, I had to sit on a love seat and dine from an accent table. No comfort or forethought for others appears to have been taken. The "business center" is a desk stuck next to the door to the "fitness center" composed of 3 weight machines in a tiny room. Next time on the island, I will look elsewhere for lodgings.

« Very central place to stay on Bainbridge »

This is a very comfortable and welcoming hotel. They go out of their way to make you comfortable..offering take away bags that I used for my walks (piece of fruit, granola bar, and bottle of water, fresh baked cookies in the afternoon and a great breakfast with site cooked oatmeal, scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, etc.

    « Comfortable and convenient »

Very well run, well kept "superior" Best Western. Given that it's the only hotel in Winslow it could easily "rest on its laurels." It does not. Noise from other suites can be annoying but that is a problem with any BW.

    5
« Great place to stay »

Comfortable beds, new and fresh. The breakfast was very good with any number of choices. Staff were friendly. Bainbridge Island is a fun little town to explore - even with the rain the experience was wonderful.

« Beds Need to Be Upgraded to Higher Quality to Match Price of Stay »

The beds at the Bainbridge BW Hotel are of poor quality and very uncomfortable. Since paying over $120 per night, the beds should be higher quality. The staff are friendly and the call in the evening to check on any needs before the cleaning staff leave for night was greatly appreciated. Check-in was slow, because no one was present for nearly 20 minutes at 4:45pm on Thursday, February 25, 2016

    « What a nice surprise! »

We couldn't have asked for a better nights stay. Drove in from Seattle to Bainbridge Island. Hotel is conveniently located to ferry and downtown Bainbridge. Large rooms with mini fridge and microwave, clean and comfortable beds, great hotel staff. We will definitely be back!

    « A Better Stay »

We went to Bainbridge Island just for one night, staying at this motel where we have stayed before a few years ago. The room was great with a small kitchenette which included a dishwasher. Bed very comfortable and plenty of space. The b breakfast was better than our last stay. Two different styles of waffles that were fluffy, light and just delicious. Fresh eggs, sausage and potatoes. Very nice stay.

if you want an excellent place to stay while visiting Seattle or the Pacific NW, stay at the B W Plus Bainbridge Island Suites on Bainbridge IS. Wa. It is just a 25 min. ferry ride to the heart of Seattle in a small town on Puget Sound. There is a bridge to the Olympic Peninsula,, where there are all sorts of adventures awaiting to explore. This hotel is like having a second home with their one bedrooms with mini kitchens. You feel comfortable and like you deserve to relax and enjoy your self.

« Great rooms in a great location »

Very nice rooms conveniently located across from a grocery store and drug store and walking distance to the ferry (I walk a lot, it is about a mile). Only challenge is tough to do three people in a suite if you don't have a couple included in that 3.

« Great spot in a very small market »

We only live a short distance away on the Seattle eastside, but plan to move to Bainbridge soon and spent 2 nights for New Year's Eve and Day at the BW Plus - no wonder it is so often sold out. Great hotel with interesting room/suite configurations, spacious and well appointed. Comfortable and quiet, walkable to everything in town. Nice secure free garage parking (not that safety/security is an issue on Bainbridge). Nice breakfast included, charming lobby area, ultra friendly staff. There is another independent hotel/motel close by...it is NOT worth the few bucks saved to go there if the Best Western has a room for you!

« Best value on Bainbridge »

We stayed here for a month during a home leave after originally booking at another hotel on the island that was less than satisfactory. This hotel is the best value for your money on the island. It is clean, has a good location and the staff go out of their way to make sure everyone is satisfied. And a huge bonus for Military/Gov't - they honor the military rate for leisure travel. Thank you Best Western!

« Bainbridge Island Best Western »

We stayed at the hotel for a month, and it felt like home. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Great breakfast too. The hotel is conveniently located on the Island near a supermarket, a pharmacy, and restaurants. It is also close to Winslow with all of its wonderful shops, especially bakeries.

« great place to explore Bainbridge Island »

Hotel is pretty new - spacious rooms. Beds are comfy - internet and TV work fine. Close to restaurants and supermarket (across the street). NOT in the downtown area, which is maybe a mile south, if that's important. Covered parking. Breakfast provided, with hot stuff (sausage, eggs, waffle, etc) in addition to cold. Pleasant staff. I would definitely stay there agian.

    « Nice Best Western »

Garage parking under the building gave us a secure feeling. All staff was friendly and super helpful. We had booked for the wrong weekend and the check-in gal was fantastic about getting us a room--not always easy to do on a swim meet weekend. Clean room, hot breakfast. Would go again.

Came to this hotel for a 6 day business trip. The amenities were great and the staff was very helpful. Breakfast was hot and good every morning, and came with sausage and eggs with hash browns. The hotel includes a car garage that actually goes up and down (Like one in your home) and it worked great as well! I will recommend this place to others.

    « Great Location - Great Deal »

We decided to stay on Bainbridge Island and take the ferry over to Seattle because it was so much less expensive than staying in Seattle. We are glad we stayed on the Island for so many reasons. The hotel is great. We had a small suite that was so clean and very comfortable. It was quiet without all the noise of the city. There was a small but adequate free breakfast. We really liked that we could park our car in a garage instead of on the street or in an open lot. Bainbridge Island itself is so quaint. There are tons of cute shops and fun restaurants. We wished we had an extra day just to spend more time on the island. We really enjoyed taking the ferry over to Seattle. We were lucky enough to have perfect weather - the views of the city were amazing. There was a lot of confusion over whether or not you can walk to the ferry station from the hotel. We did it two days in a row, but we walk a lot. It is a bit of a walk back at the end of the day because it is uphill. If you are used to walking a lot while on vacation, it will be no problem. If you don't like to walk or can't walk far then you will need to find another way.

    5
« great hotel, great visit, great town »

a very nice property located near the best eating establishments and shopping. A very short drive or walk to great views and nice wineries. If you are in Bainbridge Island this is the best place to stay by far. The rooms are comfortable, the WiFi works great and the staff is excellent.

« Our Stop On Bainbrdige Island »

We had just finished our ferry trip from Seattle and we were wanting a place to spend the night when we happened upon the nicest place to visit. The motel offed the best facilities and a chance to visit the Island at our own pace. We have never enjoyed a trip as much as this one.

« Great hotel, noisy traffic »

The ONLY reason I give this hotel a lower rating is because of the massive amount of traffic noise. I was shocked for what I thought would be a quiet island. The hotel and the people running it are fantastic! If I had another choice, off the beaten path, I would stay elsewhere, but if traffic noise is not bothersome to you then absolutely stay there! The noise does die down late in the evening, about 10 or 11. The rooms were very clean, except couple of dark stains on the couch which I forgot to tell them about, separate bedroom, comfy bed, two tv's, mini fridge and microwave. Underground parking, easy and close access.

    « Customer Service Pro's »

On two trips to this facility over the past year, it is my opinion that when it comes to providing guests with an experience, They nail customer service more than the Marriott's, Hiltons or Hyatt's. Great job Best Western staff... From the counter check in staff to the breakfast support staff, they NAIL IT !! They should all be commended for a job well done.

    « Great location & great price! »

We stayed here for one night on our way back to Seattle. What a great decision that was! Not only did we get a room for probably half the price of any hotel in Seattle, we got to check out this gem of a town! And Seattle was only a short ferry ride away. Upon arrival we were greeted by wonderful front desk staff who gave us a great recommendation for dinner! The rooms were very spacious and had a mini fridge and microwave. The view isn't spectacular as you are in a city (but there is a Starbucks right across the street). Being on a main street the traffic noise didn't seem to loud. The place was about a mile from the downtown area with restaurants, shops and the waterfront (and ferry). Breakfast was included and more than just a muffin:)

    « "A"-Plus! »

Our visit, although too brief was extremely enjoyable. Had we not already had a reservation in Seattle that could not be cancelled we would have stayed for our second night. Our travel purpose is medical. If we are unable to secure a room at the hospital we try to stay in a Seattle hotel. Our stay in Bainbridge however, changed our thinking. In the future, if hospital rooms are not available, we will travel the ferry back and forth for appointments. The hotel is immaculate, the rooms very comfortable and the staff is extremely accommodating and helpful. The hotel is right across the street from restaurants, grocery and a drug store. Ever so convenient. I did not partake in the continental breakfast but the hubby said it was just fine, satisfying and filling. We will be back. Try this BW Plus, you won't go wrong.

    « alternative to Seattle »

We were visiting Seattle as part of a trip to Victoria, BC. This hotel was a much less expensive alternative to downtown Seattle hotels and was only a 30 minute ferry ride away. Parking and breakfast were included and the ferry terminal is downtown within easy walking distance of Safeco and Pike Market. After Seattle, it was easy to head to Port Angeles and the Victoria Ferry without Seattle traffic.
