    « Wonderful Stay »

We can't say enough good things about our stay at the St. George Best Western Abbey Inn. Our entire experience here was pleasurable. Our arrival was and check in was prompt and handled by a very courteous desk attendant who happily answered all our questions. It was nice that there were two on duty as weekends tend to be busy in St. George. There was no wait for us. The property itself was very well maintained and clean, and tastefully appointed. The room was large, clean, and beautiful. All the amenities you would expect were stocked and clean in sufficient quantities. Although there were many guests that night, the room was quiet, and we were able to sleep peacefully. The included breakfast was the best I've had in a hotel. It was a full breakfast with many choices of foods. There was even a cooked-to-order omelet station! All the food was cooked well. No watery, weepy scrambled eggs, no half cooked bacon. The fruit was fresh, and the pastries were not the typical dry, dense, bulk ordered mini donuts and mini muffins. There was plenty of kitchen staff and food choices were always filled. Please don't forget a tip for these hardworking, usually under-appreciated folks. At this hotel in particular, they deserve it! We will be back soon.

« Beautiful Saint George Utah »

We stayed at the Best Western Abbey Inn. The hotel is very nice, the staff was great, breakfast was amazing however I really feel that the hotel decor requires refurbishing. The wallpaper was old and peeling and the decor itself needs an upgrade. Aside from that I would highly recommend this hotel.

    « Best hotel! »

I love, love, LOVE this hotel! Wonderful staff, very clean hotel, comfortable beds, nice kitchenette, nice sized bathrooms,BIG breakfasts. Its perfect! I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in St. George

    « Stayed the night »

We spent the night in St George and stayed at this hotel. The staff were all very friendly. They had an awesome breakfast. One of the best I have seen for a while at a Best Western. I would recommend anyone stay here if you are in the area and looking for a hotel.

« Great place to stay. Service was okay »

Not bad...great evening and afternoon staff but morning left a little to be desired. The front desk and ask if we wanted a quiet room and I agreed but I found that there were a lot of kids running up and down the hall and I could hear them during the night time so I wasn't too quiet. The location was very great, pretty red rock surroundings and a good variety of places to eat and shop nearby the hotel. I would more than likely stay there again.

    « Great Work »

I loved staying at the Best Western in St. George, Utah. The staff were professional and helpful, the hotel services were in good repair, and the general look of the facilities were superior to those in other hotels I have stayed.

« Very nice hotel with a awesome breakfast »

Stayed at this hotel on a recent get away with my wife. We stayed in one of the suites that was a great room with a amazing bed. When we checked in we found out the baseball games in the area had teams staying there and we worried about the noise the but found the room to be very peaceful with very little noise from adjacent room or outside (our room overlooked the swimming pool). I stay at a lot of hotels with work and the highlight of this stay was the breakfast, seems most hotel breakfasts are all the same and I would definitely put this hotels breakfast at the top. The selection and quality of the food was excellent.

« Great place to stay »

This is one of the best hotels we have stayed at. We travel a lot and very happy with this one. They have great breakfast they have everything you could ever imagine it's really good food and it stays up until 10 o'clock which is usually late for breakfast. I would highly recommend the Abbey inn best Western

    « Exceptional! »

My husband and I just got home from a 2-week roadtrip. We stayed in numerous hotels (many of them BW). This hotel was BY FAR the best. When we return to St George, we will definitely stay in this hotel. Here's why: the staff was very friendly and helpful, wonderful breakfast, spacious & updated room, spotless property.

    « Dissatisfied! »

Nice motel but They Over charged me They Did not honor the contracted rate Very dissatisfied with personnel at front desk Rude when asking to honor my request Will not stay there again, lots of nice motels to choose from

    « Clean, clean, clean. »

Rebecca and Randi were wonderful!!! They were at the front desk. Everyone was so nice to us! We had a problem with our 1st floor room and they moved us to the third floor very quickly! This is a no-smoking hotel and because of my asthma I was very pleased! The free breakfast was wonderful!!

    3
« There is really nothing special about this hotel »

The hotel does have good access to I 15. We had a room overlooking the pool. It was a decent room, bed was comfortable. The breakfast buffet was very disappointing. The hot dishes were not hot and the bacon was limp and not very tasty, potatoes were a disgusting mess. We requested a wake up call at 8:00 in the evening for 6:30 the following morning. We never received the wake up call. When we mentioned it at reception when we were checking out the girl behind the counter said they had no record of the request. My husband did not get the name of the man who took our request but we definitely requested a wake up call that we never received. It's unlikely that I would stay here again. The breakfast buffet was one of the worst that I've had and not receiving a requested wake up call threw our schedule off.

« We love the Abbey St. George, Utah »

The staff is warm and welcoming and super accommodating. The breakfast is hands-down the best around. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the location is convenient. St. George is a wonderful get away and the Abbey is definitely a big part of that!

    5
    « Good overnight stop on I15 »

Hotel is just off the interstate 15. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Although just off the highway it's still very quiet. Plenty of eating places within wLking distance, but for good family fair at a reasonable price try the Black Bear.

    « I love my Job! »

I traveled for a conference and found Abbey's Inn to be very clean and accessible to my conference. The state parks were really close for my family to enjoy while I was busy. The internet was very helpful as well as the staff at the hotel. Thank you for your service!

    5
    « Great place!! »

We stayed here with a church group for over a week. It was great! Staff was so attentive to our needs and everything was clean and beautiful! Our whole group loved the place ans we would love to come back if we have an event there again.

« Newer hotel with great free breakfast »

We stayed here for 2 nights. The front desk was efficient and friendly. They even gave us a punchcard for concessions at Tuacahn. They have lemon ice water in the lobby. They also had peanut butter cookies, but they didn't compare to the chocolate chip ones at other hotels. We had a very nicely decorated and very spacious room with a very comfortable king size bed, large flat screen tv and a sitting area. The whole place was clean. There were 4 pillows, plus a spare and an extra blanket in the bottom dresser drawer. The outdoor heated pool looked really nice, but we didn't use it. The free breakfast buffet was the best I've had. There was a yogurt and fruit bar with cut fresh fruit, grapes and whole bananas and other fruit. The hot food area had really good potatoes with red and green peppers and onions and spices, but not too spicy. There was regular and turkey bacon, they had grits and oatmeal with nuts, raisins, cheese and other toppings. There were scrambled eggs and the usual assortment of pastries, breads for toasting and waffle making. They had real orange and apple juice. I am sure I have forgotten something. The seating area was crowded. They had a small amount of seating under a gazebo in the side area of the parking. The hotel was quiet except that I could hear when people walked around above us, but they really didn't walk much at night. The fire alarm went off around 10:30 pm. They came by and told us it was a false alarm. It went off very briefly a couple more times while they fixed the problem. I'm glad it wasn't in the middle of the night! Overall, I loved the hotel and would stay there again.

    « Good hotel »

This hotel has easy access from I-15 in St. George. It's easy to see, well-marked. We extended our trip on the front side of the trip and were promised the same room that we would be in for the next 10 nights. This did not happen. When we checked in, we were not given the same room and there was nothing the check-in staff could do because the hotel was booked. We paid for a room that slept four although there were five of us. It made for two very uncomfortable nights. Additionally, since we knew we were moving, we couldn't unpack anything and feel settled. Additionally, there were people in the pool late and very noisy. We were less than satisfied with the situation.

    3
    « Leisure Stay »

I really feel the breakfast foods need to be a lot tastier. The kitchen staff goes above & beyond service & to please everyone. Above all they are on it to keep all cleaned up. The elevator quite often in the suite section goes out. It was fixed rather quickly.

« enroute to California from northern Saskatchewan »

This is a great hotel with nicely decorated rooms and a superb breakfast buffet. Friendly staff and convenient location .We will recommend it to our fellow Canadian snowbirds on there way to and from California.

« Great choice in St. George »

The room was comfortable and pleasant, and the hotel is well located in town. Staff were friendly and helpful. We departed before breakfast, so I don't know abou that. I'll definitely plan to come back to the Abbey Inn when I am in St. George next time.

    3
« Not as nice as we remembered! »

We have stayed at this hotel before and loved it. However, it seemed different this time. We were the only people at the check-in counter and were starting to believe that we were invisible. Three ladies all sat there and never looked up. Since we were the only people checking in, we found this very frustrating. Finally, a lady from the back came out and checked us in. Our room was nice and clean. Breakfast was very crowded and noisy and several items were not replaced while we were eating. I had remembered breakfast as the best part but it wasn't this time. I think we will stay at a different hotel next time we drive through St. George.

    5
    « Excellent Accomodations & Service »

Front desk staff pleasant and welcoming upon our arrival....refreshing experience! Hotel room was very clean and inviting! Excellent breakfast buffet along with attentive service by the breakfast attendant. Great experience! Would definitely recommend to those traveling to Saint George!

    « Nice Surprise! »

We normally stop in Mesquite, NV when traveling from NE to CA in order to equalize the mileage driven each day. Being a bit tired, we decided to stop in St George. Found the Best Western Abbey Inn by accident and decided to give it a try. What a pleasant surprise! Very Comfortable and spacious room - Friendly staff - lots of dinner choices nearby. I plan to stop at the Abbey Inn whenever I am passing thru!

    3
« stay at Abbey Inn »

Internet was way laggy...would not load for a long time. Was not high speed at all. Had to go down to the office to get my work done. Breakfast muffins were stale...hard and dried out. Potatoes were way to spicy. We ended up getting up and leaving breakfast...went to Denny's so we could have fresh food.

    5
    « Great overnight stay! »

We had great customer service at the front desk, location was ideal and the cleanliness was a welcome experience . Our 3rd floor room was quiet even though the hotel was sold out and to me that says everything!

    5
    « Comfortable and Professional »

I have stayed in St. George a few times and had passable experiences but nothing special. This latest trip we stayed at the Best Western Plus Abbey Inn and were very surprised at how much head and shoulders it was above the competition. The staff was extremely courteous and friendly--they know their stuff and are happy to share. The room was fairly new, squeaky clean, and included a small bar with sink, refrigerator, and microwave. The free breakfast was unbelievable for a property of this type--cooked in a real kitchen, with a lot of variety. This is a very impressive place to stay--we won't stay anywhere else in St. George on our next visits.

« Stop between Zion and Vegas »

This hotel seems like it was renovated. It smelled good but the air conditioning and the shower showed that they were dated. Beds and pillows were comfy. They have a really good breakfast spread. They had an omlette chef and lots of staff clearing tables. A pool and two hottubs. One was covered. we were able to walk to dinner across the street. Room was quiet.

    5
    « Wonderful! »

I usually do not stay in Best Western due to my previous experiences in other Best Western's. Once I walked in the staff was so friendly and had my room ready in minutes. I had an amazing view of the pool, the room was clean, very quite, and a very comfy bed ! Breakfast was great as well, I would recommend to go early . I will be back again on my next trip!!!!

    5
« Great hotel I will stay again »

Great location right off the highway, clean hotel with wonderful staff ,excellent breakfast provided each morning. nice hot tub and outdoor pool, The only downside I had was the pillows on the beds rather hard and lumpy, I would stay again but will bring my own pillow

« The best room and breakfast EVER for the price »

We stayed in room 326. It was quiet and comfortable! We swam, sat in the amazing hot tub and walked across the street for DQ!! It was a very reasonable rate. For the high quality and rockin' breakfast, it was truly the best value!! Can't be beat. We always stayed in Kanab and hiked in the area, we will never do that again! We will stay here!!!!

    5
    « Great service for Ironman 70.3 »

Best customer service. Race friendly hotel, transportation for athletes, early breakfast for race day. The breakfast it's very complete and healthy!! Nice pool, comfortable room and good value. Would totally come back to this hotel

« Clean, comfortable and good value. »

Staff at reception were great, very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable and had a nice view over the pool. A free breakfast is included and it was great, lots of choice of hot and cold items with a nice outdoor patio.

    5
« Great place to stsy »

One of the better Best Westerns. Our room had a king bed, couch, frig, microwave, coffee maker. Outside pool and sauna. BBQ. Washer and dryer on first floor. Ice machine and vending on each floor. Huge breakfast including an omelet station. Good location from the airport and local town. Would stay here again

    5
    « Great Hotel! »

We stayed here for the St. George Marathon weekend. Last two years stayed at a hotel down the street that was "tired" and we wanted something nice. Made our reservations a year in advance to secure a room for next year! Everything was top notch, breakfast was outstanding and the pool was clean and spacious. Everything we were looking for on our getaway weekend.

    5
    « Great Experience »

This is the best hotel in St. George! I have stayed at other hotels in St. George and none of them can equal the Abbey Inn. We recommend it to all of our family and friends and we recommend it to you!

    5
« On route to Zion »

Our two night stay in this very friendly, clean, comfortable hotel was most enjoyable. Complimentary breakfast was a pleasant surprise and excellent in both variety and quantity of food available. The pool area was not open at 7.30am so C had to find someone to open up for her early morning swim. We would return to this hotel without hesitation albiet that it was further from Zion NP than we anticipated (42 miles)

    5
    « Must Stay »

The Abby Inn is an awesome place to stay. Centrally located with a great pool and Jacuzzi area and awesome full breakfast included at a reasonable price. The staff is kind, friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

    5
    « A great stay in Utah »

I had an excellent stay at this hotel. The breakfast was more than I thought. The custom omelets were outstanding. The room was very nice and the staff were very helpful. I would recommend staying at this hotel when visiting St. George, Utah.

    « Always a cut of above »

This is the second time that we have stayed at Abbey Inn, Saint George, UT and have enjoyed both stays without incidents. The staff is always friendly and welcoming; available to assist in any way they can. The hot breakfast always has plenty of food available and attendants on hand to serve when needed. We have nothing negative to say about this hotel.

    4
« Good breakfast and friendly atmosphere »

The Abbey always goes above and beyond the other hotels in the area with breakfast. Their presentation, dining area and friendliness of the dining staff is warm. The room's are spacious and quiet. Manager Josh W. always takes care of me in my time of need. I would recommend this hotel to others.

    5
    « EXPERIENCE »

Way over the top on everything. We had 13 cars in are group and we checked in within 10 minutes, they had 3 people at the front desk. Food was really really good. Best night sleep that I have had in years.

    « Worth the trip! »

Beautiful Inn, fabulous breakfast! Will definitely return on our next visit to St. George. Cleanest Hotel I've been in over the past 2 years. Luxurious without the high price, staff very friendly and helpful.

    5
« Home Base for visiting the parks »

Excellent home base for visiting the national parks in the area. It was clean and the provided breakfast was excellent. They offer internet though it was slow. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We did miss the cleaning station Best Western usually provided for our motorcycles.

    5
« This place is SPECTACULAR »

Every though this place was sold out during my stay, the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast, alone, makes this place worth every penny. Everything was clean and in good repair. Will definitely be back this way again should we be in the area.

    5
« Great place to stay »

    « Best Western Plus - Abby »

Great hotel - the staff was helpful and friendly and the hotel itself was extremely clean and pleasant. We only had one night there but would gladly have done more. Loved the fact that there was a chef making omelets for breakfast. So rare to have such a wonderful breakfast included with a hotel room.

    5
    « Vacation »

This is a brilliant hotel with large clean rooms very friendly staff and one of the best buffet breakfast we have evet had. The room had everything you need with large comfy beds and plenty of tv channels if you need them.

    « Love this Hotel »

Every Year, my sisters and brother and their spouses get together at this hotel. We come to St. George at this particular time to see the Broadway Plays at the Tuacahn Outdoor Amphitheater. We always choose this hotel because of its friendly and courteous staff. Because they update their rooms often, they have super comfortable beds and becauset hey have an excellent hot breakfast buffet.

    « Gorgeous! Best breakfast buffet...possibly EVER! »

If you are staying in St. George and like a free breakfast---This is the place to stay! There have only been a few places in the world that I've seen that have had more variety. There was even an omelet GUY that made omelets to order! I wished I had 4 stomachs so I could try everything! Haha Our room was also very nice and had plenty of space for everything and everyone. The lobby was large and beautifully decorated. This is one of the nicest hotels in St. George! We went on an ATV tour and got a smokin' deal on this hotel because of it. It was awesome!

    5
    « Unbelievable Stay »

I was a little apprehensive about staying at a Best Western because I had not stayed in one in years. I walked in with all negative thoughts even though the reviews were all positive. This has been an awesome stay. The breakfast is incredible. I'm from the south and they actually had girts. I could not believe my eyes. The rooms were spacious and clean and not to mention the huge TV. The service is top notch. I'm greeted by name every morning. This is home away from home.

    2
    « Too noisy »

This hotel had a really noisy maintenance room next to me where the door was slamming for lengthy periods of time. I tried to address this with the staff at check out and they did not seem to take it seriously. I have stayed at this hotel before and it was great on my last stay. I don't know if I would consider coming back to this hotel.

    5
« Nice Place to Stay »

Breakfast was great, omelettte bar was a great surprise. Internet was fast enough to work from, quiet hotel. No problems at all. Clean and nicely decorated. Check in was fast and check out was quick as well. Parking was close to entrances so I wasn't hauling luggage from far away.

    5
    « Pleasant surprise »

The value was incredible for this place. Clean, new feeling and convenient. Nice staff. Beds a bit too soft for our liking but we only stayed one night. Breakfast room was larger than most. Would stay again for sure!

    4
    « Very Good »

Very good room with breakfast included, plenty of places to eat all around the hotel. Room had mini kitchentte with sink, fridge, microwave and coffee/tea maker. Massive bed and seating area. The only minor fault was that the wifi was poor, I'm not sure if this was because my room was at the end of the hotel(243?), or just the massive number of other overlapping wifi signals in the areas(see photo), but it needs looking at.

    5
« Best in St George »

Weve stayed in St. George many times at many places, and this place is by far the nicest. Very clean, comfortable bed, fresh decor, and a superb breakfast. The breakfast included fresh eggs, bacon, grits, cereals, pancakes, etc. A treat! We got a deal through Hotwire, but this place is worth the regular price.

    5
    « What a stay »

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. Wonderful breakfast in the morning and the room was fantastic. Amenities galore and the staff were very helpful. A real gem and I would stay there again in a heart beat.

    5
« Best of the Best Westerns »

All staff went out of their way to make it a good stay. They were helpful with travel plans, suggestions for dining, etc. They were courteous and professtional. The housekeeping staff would greet you with: "Thank you for staying with us". The breakfast was the best I have ever had at a BW. The selection was extensive, the quality was excellent, including making your eggs to order. The dining room staff were quick to remove any dirty dishes, etc. I would definitely come back as well as recommend it to friends and family.

    5
    « On the road »

This was one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed in. Breakfast is fantastic, Staff is very helpful. Bed was super comfortable and room was a delight. I wish every hotel was this nice. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Don't know much about the town as we were just traveling through on our way to the national parks which are awesome.

  • 1
    « Bathroom »

The bathroom door missed the toilet by a half an inch and the door stop was right in the middle of the area to step out of the tub. No way could you miss stepping on it.sitting on the toilet you could not reach the toilet paper. The tub faucet in the tub was not attached to the wall it was loose. The rest of the room and breakfast was awesome. So because of the bathroom it rated poorly.

    4
« Best quality for the price »

I have stayed at Best Western many times throughout the years and very rarely disappointed. You cannot beat the quality for the price. Clean, comfortable rooms. Great breakfast buffet comparable to more expensive hotels. Every appliance in the room worked! I don't need 5 star elegance but I do expect quality and cleanliness and Best Western comes through every time!

    5
« Great rooms and great stay »

Rooms are large, clean, bright, and comfortable. Wi-Fi is very good. Check in fast and very friendly. Lobby and grounds look very nice .. My choice for future stays in St. George They even had someone cleaning the outside of the room windows.

    4
« Very Comfortable Stay, Good Breakfast, Nice Location »

We spent two nights here during our National Parks sojourn. We asked and got a room on first floor back corner near exit which facilitated easy coming and going and hauling all our small bags. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were very very good including several hot menu items. The Rotary was there for breakfast one day which is a good testimonial for the meal. The clientele was a nice combination of business travelers and leisure travelers. We also enjoyed the pool and hot tub one night after the temps cooled down outside. This hotel was one of the best hotels we stayed in during our 10 day trip through southern Utah and Colorado. While not the closest town to Zion this hotel made the difference for us.

    5
« Nice place to stay »

The rooms are clean and the staff are all very, very, friendly. The breakfast was more than expected and tasted good. The location is easy to get to from the 15. There are plenty of restaurants in the area.

« Pride of the Best Western Plus Fleet »

This is a great hotel and a great value. Very attractive building, close to the freeway. The rooms are quiet and comfortable, with firm mattresses. Great staff, with a great attitude. Fabulous breakfast, including omelette station. Should be Best Western Plus Plus, at least.

    5
    « Abby Inn »

This is my favorite hotel in St George and I've tried several. We stay in St George several times every year and have tried almost all the hotels. I thought the Abby Inn would be expensive but it's only $20 more and the comfort, breakfast, atmosphere, and hospitality are well worth it. This is our new hotel of choice when we come back in January.

    5
    « Unexpected Gem »

I booked this room on the road using my iPhone on our way to the airport at Las Vegas, driving from Moab all day at the end of the a long pleasure trip. We were too exhausted to drive another 2 hours into Vegas. This venue was listed as #1 place to stay in St George on Expedia and I couldn't believe the price! I generally research things to death ahead of time, but this wasn't the case this time, just took a shot. Wow! Surprise, surprise, surprise! (read in Gomer's voice...) Clean, neat as a pin, bed was perfect, pool, 9 person spa which was just what the doctor ordered for my aches and pains! Had a great nights sleep, generous room with microwave, mini frig, just great! Wish I could take this place with me where ever I travel... Oh, FULL, HOT BREAKFAST!!!

    « Great stay »

Great stay to kick off vacation. Hotel was comfortable and quiet, but busy. Breakfast looked good, but room was crowded with nowhere to sit. Located close to many conveniences in town. Would definitely consider staying again.

This is one of the best Best Westerns we have gone to. Front desk staff was friendly and even gave us special attention and notice when the found out we were celebrating our anniversary. They gave suggestions for dinners and made sure our needs were meant. Breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfast that we have been to. Even though the hotel was totally booked the staff kept the food trays filled with items. The room was as comfortable, quiet and clean, better than some of the more expensive brands of hotels we've stayed at. My only regret is that we didn't make down to the extra large covered spa, or swimming pool. If we are ever staying in St. George again this will be the place. A great place to explore Zion and a few other great outdoor places.

« Great time and great food »

Upon entering the hotel, I was immediately turned off by a group of workers who were eyeing me and looked a little creepy. They must have been working construction on site and were allowed to come in and relax. Just bad first impression. Then no one noticed me as I walked in for a few minutes because it must have been lunch break time. The nice lady came out chewing but made the check-in process a breeze. Despite this rocky start, we ended up having a very relaxing time on 3rd floor overlooking the pool so kids could go down anytime other kids were seen in the pool. Great beds/pillows/breakfast/parking was a breeze. Would definitely stay here again!

« Visiting plays at Tauachan »

We have visited St. George for thirty years to attend plays and to play golf. We have stayed at many of the local motel/hotels in St. George, but a number of years ago we came upon the Abbey Inn. We enjoyed this hotel so much, right from the start, that we have not gone anywhere else since. After the completion of their new tower, we have only stayed in their larger rooms that offer a sitting area in which to socialize with friends.

« Great room! Seemingly newly renovated! »

We found this hotel through the Tuachan website and got a great deal from that. The front desk staff was so nice and helpful! The room itself was clean and tidy. The breakfast was great with lots of variety. I will be staying here again and would recommend anyone to stay here!

« Nice place to stay. »

The staff was nice. Comfortable bed and big TV. We enjoyed the refrigerator and microwave. Nice and tasty breakfast! Nice, clean location that is close to the fwy. I would stay again and would recommend to family and friends.

    « Delightful! »

This grandma wanted to make sure her grandkiddoes and their mothers had a room big enough to accommodate us all so we all could be comfortable. The suites at Abbey Inn was so spacious and there is a sofa bed just in case you need it that can sleep an extra two for a total of 6. The full breakfast was a treat indeed and the fried potatoes are so good.A huge variety of food like scrambled eggs, bacon, grits and cheese, fried potatoes with bellpeppers, biscuits and gravy, french toast, make your own waffles, cereal, yogurt, fruits, nuts, and orange juice and apple juice and more-something for everyone! Even when we came in about 9:30 am before it closed at 10 am there was still enough food left. The queen beds are so comfortable and there was no noise where our room was. We slept so well and got up so refreshed the next day. This location is close to the Tuacahn Theater, The Red Sand Dunes, restaurants, stores and more! Front desk lady was so nice checking us in and also brought us some milk for my baby grandson when we noticed we ran out of milk. Don't miss this one!

    « Fantastic! »

This is a lovely hotel, nicely appointed which has an AMAZING hot breakfast in a very large room. Have never seen a better selection. The rooms are very large rooms with comfortable beds. I asked the desk clerk how old the hotel was because it appeared fairly new and she said 21 yrs. and that they update it every 3 years. The Best Western Abbey Inn is great value.

    « Great weekend escape »

The Staff was great and very helpful. The rooms were neat and clean, this hotel is centrally located for the activities of St George. We were on the ground floor, but noise was not an issue. It was very quiet. We will Definitely will stay there again.

    « Great Bargain »

Nice and clean, very friendly staff always welcoming and the breakfast is very good, hot entrees with lots of choices. Very easy on and off location to the freeway. Close to downtown area. Also quiet. Great bargain for both pleasure and business travel

« Very comfortable, clean, place to lay your head for an evening. »

This was a wonderful place to stay. It is very attractive, clean, and comfortable. The room was quiet, up on the third floor with no one on top of us. The queen beds were nice, new, and very comfy. with four comfy pillows on each. Best night's rest and a hotel. Even nicer, was to get up to a free, top-notch buffet breakfast in the morning. There was a large, very well- stocked room with lots of seating. There was a great variety of breakfast items...anything I could imagine, or want (except a Diet Pepsi machine.) Nice pool, and workout room. Great location, close to everything.

    « Some Good Rest »

The young man at the front desk was very nice. Again the rooms were in great condition and the bed very comfy. They have two pools and a workout room, which is something I look for at the hotels I stay at. I try and stay on routine with workouts.

« Only place to stay in St. George!! »

We have always stayed at the Abbey Inn when we come to St. George ever since our first visit. It is a wonderful and pleasant place to stay. Breakfast is always outstanding and the staff provides excellent service.

    5
    « Beautiful room »

The staff is great and the rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. The breakfast is not your typical free breakfast and has so many options. The pool area is large and the hot tub covered. I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Close to the highway.

    « Welcome Home!! »

The Abbey Inn St George. I have the privilege to travel to Southern Utah for my job and after a long journey I can always count on the hotel staff to welcome me with a smile and a consistent clean luxurious room. I have stayed at this hotel for over 30 nights and have never been disappointed once. The rooms are quiet and spacious, and you will love the extremely comfortable mattress in every room. The bathrooms have room for two people to get ready at the same time,as well as massaging shower heads. All the staff appear to love working at the Abbey Inn and it shows. The overall appearance of the hotel, and the pride that is taken to maintain it is unsurpassed. Be sure to enjoy the pool and hot tub, they both are always clean and at the perfect temperature. The free breakfast well exceed any expectation you will have for a complementary breakfast. The selection and quality along with the excellent coffee will start your day with a smile.

« Always treated as valued guest »

We stay in this hotel whenever we come to St George and would never consider staying anywhere else. The staff are so caring and make sure all your needs are met all most before you need to ask. Never be dissapointed.

    « Good experience »

Everything went as it should. Relaxed and enjoyed stay. Even the air conditioner was not too loud. Very comfortable and quiet. Convenient parking and many good restaurants near enough to walk to. Convenient to shopping areas. Easy to get off freeway and back on without getting lost. Overall a pleasant experience.

« Trip to Zion and Brice National park »

this was a wonderful experience. the staff was very accommodating for our needs. We were able to check in early and being our adventures at Zion National Park that morning. Incredible breakfast and wonderful staff.

    « Our favorite hotel! »

The Abbey Inn is our favorite stay away from home. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the staff tries to accommodate every need; breakfast choices are amazing; the beds invite a good night's sleep. Love this place and return several times a year .

    « Large, yet quiet. »

Nice place to stay in a very warm summer location. While room was missing a hair dryer, and I inadvertently left mine, the room was quiet, clean, and the breakfast offerings exceeded our expectations.

    5
    « Fantastic experience »

My family of 6 stayed one night at this hotel. Every person we had contact with was fantastic. The front desk staff were so nice and kind. They had a treasure box that my kids got to pick a prize while I checked in. They were very accommodating and fulfilled each request that we had. We were able to get a larger room with a pull out sofa for the same price as just a king size bed room. They also had a crib to use. They did charge $5.00 for the crib, which I have never experienced before, but the crib was clean and well maintained. The pool area was clean and tidy. They had plenty of towels out by the pool. They could use more shade since it gets to 110 F during the summer months. The hot tub had lots of room. It did have several dead grasshoppers along the edges that had been there for several days due to how dried out they were. But we had fun using the pool and hot tub. The room was quite large and easily slept 6. The "kitchen" was small but useful. The microwave worked well and the mini fridge did it's job. Breakfast was crazy busy but the staff were so kind and kept the food well stocked and fresh. There were so many choices for breakfast. I have never had a hotel breakfast that nice before. They even have a chef making personal omlets. They have signs that say if you want gluten or dairy free choices to just ask, which is nice that they have options. I personally had the chocolate chip pancakes and they were delish!. Overall I would say this was the best hotel experience we have had as a family. We will be going back because of our experience.

    « Nice during weekdays! »

Rooms are tidy and clean. Staff is super friendly. The surrounding area is safe and beautiful. The only disadvantage is during weekends the terror of in the pool caused by annoyed tired and spoiled children which are in despair for Ritalin. Breakfast is truly amazing.

    5
« Great Hotel for the Price »

Breakfast was great. Pool was fun. It had a small kiddie pool for the toddlers which was really great. Rooms were clean and the staff was great. We had a great stay. Only stayed one night but we will using this hotel again for all our St. George trips because it was so pleasant.

    5
    « Mini Resort »

We had such a wonderful experience. The rooms are clean and beautiful. Staff was kind and helpful. Breakfast was that of a Mini Resort. Families are welcome as well as an adult get away. We will definitely be back.

« Nice property with everything top notch and a great bargain for the price! »

Very nice hotel with a neat pool area and a great full breakfast served until 10 am at no additional cost. Plush towels and spotless bathroom plus a nice wet bar in the room. By far the nicest hotel and a fantastic bargain compared to every other hotel we stayed at on our trip all around the west. Can't recommend it highly enough!

« A perfect stop between CO and CA »

We've stayed here twice. It's a nice hotel with an AMAZING complimentary breakfast. The staff are helpful, everything is kept in perfect condition, and the beds are comfortable. The room had a lot of space compared to most properties in this price range. What a value!

    5
« Excellent place to stay! »

We love staying at Best Western Plus Abbey Inn. Our room was perfectly clean, the beds were incredibly comfortable, the staff friendly and efficient. They have the best breakfast, with many food choices. Sometimes there are so many people it's not easy to find a table, but other than that everything was great!

    5
« Great stay in St. George »

We usually stay at another hotel in St. George, but decided to try the Abby Inn based on reviews and the price. We were not disappointed. We had a king size suite on the third floor and it was very large. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. It's close to restaurants, so you can walk to a few. Breakfast was outstanding. There was a good variety and even an omelet bar, made to order. The staff was attentive and even came around to clear plates and refresh coffee.

    5
« Very nice, clean, and close to everything but out of busy downtown »

Had a wonderful stay at the Abbey Inn. Convenient right off I15 and on Bluff St. which is a major artery to Tuachan and downtown. Even though it is on a large street and close to I15 the road noise was not at all noticeable. We liked that we were not in the busy downtown district but a few minutes drive to anywhere we wanted to go. Room was clean and comfortable, housekeeping was very prompt in cleaning the room in the mornings so by the time we came back in the early afternoon to escape the heat our room was always ready. We only took advantage of the breakfast on one day but the selection was great and the food was good. Pool area was crowded due to the heat during our visit so we only used it once. My only cons would be that upon arrival our room was 85 degrees and even when we turned on the window unit it was not cooling down. We had to have a guest services person show us that you have to use the thermostat that is over by the door to actually turn the unit on to cool. Our thermostat was set on heat. After that the unit worked great. My other small complaint would be that the clothes line in our shower was broken so we had to hang wet suits over the shower rod which wasn't a big deal.

    4
    « Nice Hotel »

Overall, we really enjoyed this hotel. The breakfast wasn't as good as I'd hoped, but for free I can't complain too much. The staff was very friendly. We loved the pool and the room. Would definitely stay here again.

    5
« The best we have been in st George Utah »

The fixtures in the bathroom look like new.The shampoo and body wash in containers on the shower wall, very convenient. Our room on the first floor (as we had requested) was overlooking a very pretty swimming pool. ThE gym not too big but very adequate for a traveler The complimentary hot Bkfst was vexcellent, lots of choices. Even organic teas. The service, impeccable, specially by Lydia ,friendly and very helpful. Everybody at the desk was also very friendly , and with a smile all the time. We recommend it very highly.

« Now The BEST of the Best Westerns »

I have stayed here before, but almost forgot how great this hotel really is! As I have stated before the breakfast here is just great. I had picked the B/W hotel at Bryce Canyon to be number one but after eating here once again, I now clearly state that Abbey Inn is now number ONE!!

    5
    « Fantastic - Would highly recommend »

« Review of hotel stay »

This hotel is really wonderful. We were very impressed with the room and personnel. I would definitely recommend that anyone passing through St. George and or staying a few days, stay at this hotel. The price is reasonable and the amenities are very nice.

    « Best BW Plus! »

We were extremely pleased with this inn. The staff was professional and helpful. The room was in great condition. The breakfast was fantastic. They had omelets to order and someone actually came around to ask if you needed anything. That was a first! The price was the lowest of any BW we stayed in on our trip across the country. Great value!!

    5
    « Fantastic Breakfast! »

My husband and I travel a lot. Anytime we are going through this part of Utah we always stay at Abbey Inn. The ease of getting to Cracker Barrel, fuel, on/off interstate. Easy to get to National Parks that are nearby. You will not be unhappy with your stay at this hotel. VERY Motorcycle Rider friendly as well.

« One of the nicer places on a 15 state trip »

This hotel was extremely comfortable, had a very good continental breakfast and was a nice choice. The breakfast is complete with a fresh omelet bar. The breakfast staff was very friendly and professional. Great facility all around.

    5
« Just like home everytime »

I stay here often and it is consistently comfortable and convenient. The rooms are spacious and quiet. The breakfast can't be beat. They even serve Seattle's Best Coffee and made to order omelettes. The pool and spa provide a fun place for the entire family.

    5
    « AWESOME!!! »

This hotel was excellent. The breakfast was great. Loved their home fried potatoes. Beds were comfortable not too hard and not too soft. For the price of the stay it would beat out any 5 star rated hotel for all it offered. Staff was very friendly and made sure you were comfortable.

    5
« Good Night Sleep and Great Breakfast »

BW Abbey Inn was a nice respite from a long driving day. The staff was helpful in upgrading us to a larger room. Breakfast was beyond what you might expect at a hotel in this price range. Large selection of hot dishes and even an omelette bar.

« We go here every year. »

This is a great hotel. We go here every year with family. They've upped their breakfast and we've always enjoyed it. It's clean and the walls are very sound proof. We started at other hotels, but once we stayed here we've never gone back to the others.

    5
« Best Hotel in St. George »

The room had lots of spaces (roomy). Microwave and refrigerator were something unexpected. Also wash area outside the bathroom was good to have and I have never seen in other motels or hotels. The spa and the pool were clean and the hotel provided towel for your convenience. The hotel had awesome breakfast! It was best I ever had at the Best Western. I hope they can keep this up. For sure, I make a point in staying at this hotel whenever I pass thru St. George.

    5
« Great place to spend the night. »

Very friendly staff. Big rooms. Was very easy to find and ease of access to the interstate. Had a really great breakfast included with cook to order eggs. Thought it was a great value for the price. Was close to Zion National Park but not too close.

    5
    « Great Value »

Best value we have found in St George after staying at dozens of other hotels over the years. Breakfast is amazing! Pool is perfect with "kiddie pool" and large hot tub. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Free and spacious parking. Internet was fast. Can't say enough good things.

    5
« Always a pleasure when we stay here. »

In the last twenty years going to and from California, unless we stop in Las Vegas, we always stop in St. George, UT. Abbey Inn has always been a favorite place to stay when we are able to reserve a room there. The staff was very attentive and friendly, the rooms are clean, and a good breakfast is served. Great value for what we get.

    2
« So bad, we left »

Expected excellence, based on Trip Advisor rating. We must have come on a VERY bad day. Lobby reeked with bad, musty, sewer smell (dirty mops?). Lobby decor was 1905 San Francisco bordello. Our room was on third floor, but elevator broken, won't be fixed for another three days. So, took the stairs, but they appeared to still be under construction: no carpet, just bare, unfinished concrete. Our room had same decor . . . AND SAME SMELL . . . as lobby. That did it for us; we asked to cancel. In spite of 24-hour cancellation policy, they allowed us to cancel. The staff was the only reason they get a 2 rating here; particularly Isabelle (but also Rebecca and Elijah) were extremely gracious, helpful . . . and apologetic.

    5
    « Great Family Hotel »

This is the only hotel we've stayed at for several years. We have 7 kids and they are one of the only hotels that we fit in. It is clean, comfortable, and they have a delicious hot breakfast. The pool is fun for the kids and the staff are very helpful and friendly. The beds however are in need of replacement in some of the rooms.

    5
« Flying out of St George, Utah »

This hotel was easy to get to and close to the St. George airport. It was clean and the staff was very helpful. The mattress and linens were also very comfortable. Can not rate the breakfast due to an early flight. Highly recommend if you need a near by hotel for this airport.

    5
« Our "best" Best Western experience yet »

What a pleasant surprise. We expected good accommodations and friendly service from the reviews we had read, but our experience exceeded our expectations in every way. The staff was especially friendly and helpful, the room spotlessly clean and spacious and the breakfast the best we've had when compared to other comparable hotels. This will be the place we stay whenever traveling through St. George.

    5
« A great spot to spend a night or two »

This is a very good hotel right in the middle of St. George. And It's only a one hour drive to Zion NP. Clean and well maintained with comfortable beds. Rooms are fairly large and well furnished. Microwave and refrigerator included. Nice pool area. Clean and efficient guest laundry. Small but adequate fitness center. Very good breakfast that includes individually prepared omelettes. Every staff member was friendly and helpful. All this at a decent price. I'll stay there again.

« Nice hotel near the Tuacahn Amphitheater »

I stayed at this hotel while seeing a play at the Tuacahn Amphitheater. It is centrally located in St. George near restaurants and shops. I had a nice quiet room and got a good night's sleep while I stayed there. The free breakfast was excellent.

    5
    « I definitely recommend this hotel »

Our stay was delightful. The decor is very nice, and the hotel was clean. I liked the room layout. It did not feel crowded. The pool water was cool which felt very good on a 110 degree day. We used the outdoor grill which was in a covered alcove in the pool area. It was nice to prepare our own food, and it was a very pleasant environment. The breakfast is excellent with lots of choices. I highly recommend this hotel.

    5
    « I love this place! »

The Abbey Inn has great rooms, a wonderful complimentary hot breakfast. John the breakfast manager is always upbeat, positive, and very welcoming. The Abbey Inn has a great pool and hot tub. This is a great place to stay for families small and large.

« Best Hotel in Many Years! »

Service, cleanliness, décor of the room, pool area, outside landscaping, and breakfast were absolutely excellent at this hotel - and I have VERY HIGH STANDARDS! I would stay here again in a heartbeat and recommend it to anyone I know. The front desk helped resolved a reservation issue with kindness and compassion. The breakfast was better than most restaurants. The pool area was relaxing and pretty!

    « Overnighter! »

Only here for a quick overnight stop, but everything very good, clean rooms, excellent buffet breakfast. Recommended for quick stops and longer stays. Pool looked nice but didn't get time for a dip. Good location, right off the highway...

    « Excellent experience. »

Our stay at Best Western Plus/Utah was very enjoyable and comfortable. The staff were very professional and friendly and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was surprising with so many choices of food to choose from and staff around to help you. This hotel as been a very enjoyable experience.

    « Fantastic value!!! »

I'm a points member with a competitive chain, but I decided to try Best Western because of the reviews and the price. We were only staying one night and just passing through St. George. We had been camping in CO and really just needed a shower and a good night's sleep. What a surprise! The beds were extremely comfortable and the showers were refreshing (fantastic water pressure!). A wonderful breakfast was provided. There is something for EVERYONE; from grits and oatmeal bar to scrambled and well-fried eggs, bacon, waffles, breakfast breads and biscuits and gravy ... There was even a yogurt bar where you can make your own parfait. It was a great way to begin the final leg of our road trip home. The front desk staff was courteous and very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again.

    5
« Very happy with our stay »

I am very particular about clean rooms; this was 5 star for cleanliness. Also, I've eaten many free hotel breakfasts, this was the best I've encountered. They have custom made omelets, VERY friendly and accomodative staff, and this was also well managed so there were not a bunch of people messing up the food and sneezing around the serving areas. This was similar to a fine restaurant buffet. We made a note of this hotel as this is our new primary place to stay when going between Los Angeles and anywhere north east of there.

    5
    « Comfortable lodging »

Very pleasant and comfortable hotel. The staff is very patient and accommodating. Any time I called, for whatever reason, they were extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast is definitely the best "free" hotel breakfast I have experienced. Make sure you try the fresh omelette station!

    4
« Good location and great beds »

We stay here because their breakfast is very good. They have variety and they offer hot choices. We love the discounts provided on Tuachan show tickets. The pool area is nice and has shade if needed plus a BBQ area for the family if you want to cook outside yourself.

    « Nice BW »

We stayed here one night enroute to Northern Utah from AZ. We arrived a little early for the 3 PM check in, but were in our room shortly thereafter. Unfortunately, our AC unit was very noisy and we requested that it be serviced while we were out later in the afternoon. Upon returning to the hotel, the receptionist informed us that the maintenance tech had not yet responded to her text request and didn't know when, or if, he might respond. I then requested that we be assigned another room and that was done without question and done so as an upgrade to an adjacent room to minimize our inconvenience. We liked this hotel, the location is excellent and the breakfast buffet is significantly superior to many that we have experienced. The front desk staff is well trained in guest relations and we wouldn't hesitate to stay here in the future. The only suggestion would be that when service personnel are on call for service problems, that they should be responsive to their colleagues pages, period.

    5
« Total overall wonderful experience.. »

this is the 3rd stay at the Abbey Inn and our experience has always been 5 star...staff, room, bathroom, comfort of the bed and breakfast are really off the charts. The breakfast is one of the best my wife and I have ever had during a hotel stay. Folks, you will not be disappointed, I promise !!

    « Very Friendly People »

I have visited, and reviewed. this hotel previously I felt compelled to add another review based on my experiences last week. The hotel is clean, nice rooms, good pool, good location. However, I noticed how each staff member tried very hard to treat customers with excellence. When they were busy servicing other customers, they still recognized that you were waiting and that you would be helped very soon. When on the phone with potential customers, they answered questions with great detail. They greeted all who passed by the counter as well. Their demeanor was just happy and very pleasant. They had 4 staff members working with the breakfast area. Most have 1 OR the front desk person. Their breakfast was very, very good. One worker was available to help prepare an omelet of your choosing, three others kept the breakfast area cleaning and ready for customers as well as stocking the food line. I was very impressed with the service they provided.

    « Comfortable & Courteous »

My husband stayed a couple of nights on a family emergency trip. The room was comfortable & clean. The decor was a little fussy but not terrible. The staff was kind & helpful. The breakfast was a step up from what I expected with a made to order omlet bar. Thanks for the hospitality in a tough time.

    5
    « Excellent Stay »

This hotel was a nice change of pace while traveling out west. We chose it as it was fairly close to Zion National Park. The employees couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful during our stay. We would definitely stay here again.

    5
« Well worth the stay. »

This was probably the best room, for the price, that I have ever stayed at. The staff, the room, the breakfast, WOW! Had a small problem connecting to the wifi in the room. The lady at the front desk personally came back and got me going. Excellent room and facilities. Good location. Breakfast was a big hit! Someone there to make you an omelette personally. Overall stay was quite an experience.

    5
    « Zion natinal park »

Good location, close to the airport when we flew out the next day. NIce room, good breakfast, plenty of options to eat. Hotel staff was helpful when we requested a map to drive to Zion Natinal Park. They also gave us a good recommendation for an Italian restaurant nearby.

    « Room verses kitchen »

The staff was pleasant. The maids were delightful. The kitchen was very good. Hot breakfast with all the trimmings and very good coffee, not watered down. We didn't go to the pool but they seemed to have a lot of people there. Our bedroom was par but the bed really sucked. They had blankets over the bed with sheets on the blankets. The sheets were not big enough to tuck in so as soon as you got in bed you got wrapped up. The bed was not comfortable at all. The bath was nice but the towels were like stiff door mats that wouldn't give and it was hard to dry yourself off. The first night we had several wash cloths and used two. The second night we only had one so I had to go down to the desk and get another one. When we got to the room it was warm with the temp set at 68 so I went down to 65 degrees. Before we retired it was still warm so I dropped it to the lowest point of 61 degrees. We slept all night on top of the covers. I called the next day to have someone look at the air conditioner. By then it had cooled of to be comfortable. The woman at the desk said that she would send up the maintenance guy but two hours later she came up to check it out. I showed her that only half of the AC unit was blowing, that it didn't matter if it was on low or high speed it didn't change any. She said that the maintenance man would be in the next day so if it was not right to call her and she would send him up. I didn't call as I felt that it was a dumb thing to say to me.

« Best Western PLUS Abbey Inn, Saint George, UT »

I come to St George 3xs a year for conventions and try very hard to stay at the Abbey Inn...PRO: the staff is courteous, rooms are clean and a nice size, 42in flat screen tvs...the main reason I stay here is the complimentary breakfast... This morning I had bacon, cheese grits, eggs with salsa, southern potatoes... They have a guy making omelets and a waffle maker... So many other things too... I've stayed at several different hotels in this city and this by far had the best breakfast. CON: The wifi sucks and 90% of the channels on the nice flat TV are blurry/snow stormy

Quick trip through St. George. Very comfortable, clean and the best hotel breakfast! Beds were very comfortable, the rom was spacious and I really appreciated having the hair and body soaps in the shower.

    « Amazing!!! »

We were on a six day road trip recently. This stop was halfway through. Everything about this stay exceeded expectations and was the best experience on the trip. Beds were comfy, walk in shower was great, and the breakfast buffet was top of the line. Surprisingly, this room was the cheapest rate of our entire trip. In fact, we got a 2 queen suite here for $50 less than any other property we stayed at in a traditional 2 queen room. The staff was knowledgable, friendly, and competent. I will most definitely stay here again if I am ever out this way again.

« Great Stay In St. George »

We had a wonderful stay at his hotel. Very clean and a friendly staff. The breakfast was the best we have had at a Best Western with oatmeal, yogurt, waffles, biscuits & gravy, made to order omelettes. The pool area was nice and had plenty of chairs and lounges. The kids pool was perfect for smaller kids. The rooms had a good size bathroom, little kitchenette with sink, and refrigerator.

« An Oasis in the sun... »

My wife and I would stay again...very satisfied, I did do some office work in the suite. The desk, lighting, electronic hook ups were very good...a few blips in the internet service. My only recommendation is when house keeping vacuums the hall ways the do it all at one time instead of just the portion in front of each room...this would greatly reduce the length of vacuum noise which is a bit irritating if you are working or napping. The room was a perfect location for Zion National park.

    « Excellent Stay »

My wife and I spent 3 nights at the Abbey Inn the first week of July. The hotel is very clean, the staff is friendly, and the breakfast is great and included with the price of the room. We even had omelets made for us. The hotel is really in a great location. It is close to the freeway, and across the street from Dairy Queen! We used it as our base to visit the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon National Park, Cedar Breaks National Monument, Kolob Canyons, and Zion National Park. We got a great rate through TripAdvisor and booked the hotel directly through TripAdvisor. This is a great hotel.

    « Great Breakfast! »

This was a very clean hotel with comfortable amenities, but the breakfast is where you see the cream rise to the top. Multiple fresh choices of fruit, meats, eggs, personalized omelettes, and a cereal selection. Don't miss out on this great value.

    « Great Night's Stay »

This establishment was top notch! The staff was extremely helpful and kind. The rooms were clean and comfortable! The free breakfast was the best I've ever had at a hotel. I highly recommend this hotel for a stay in St George, Utah.

    « Convention »

Great place to stay. Good breakfast and great people. We drove up from Vegas and the hotel was easy to find. They put us on the 3rd floor which was quiet and comfortable. We met several friends there and a good time was had by all.

« Last over night of two week trip »

Wonderful way to end our first two week vacation! Already planning to go back! Beautiful hotel, lovely, friendly staff. Full breakfast, great food, including omelet station. Really clean rooms, comfy and cozy. Gift shop up front near the lobby. I would say this hotel is used to, and prepared for, international visitors due to it's location near both Zion and Bryce National Parks. A 'well-oiled' machine and it definitely shows in both their appearance and their treatment of their guests. I will say (though I am a Californian and no stranger to Best Westerns) if this is the impression international guests take home with them then the U.S. is well represented through this Best Western. Congratulations- job very well done and thank you for it!

« Really Nice landing after backpacking! »

We came for the breakfast and it was worth it. How are they making any money, including breakfasts like this? It was very crowded. Get there on the earlier side in tourist season. After breakfast we sat in the hot tub. We had it all to ourselves. Yay! Our room overlooked the pool and it looked a bit crowded for us but the next morning a nice man spent quite a long time cleaning it. Our room felt clean and new. Would definitely return. It's right off the highway and close to restaurants, etc. 15-20 minutes to the airport.

    « We had a GREAT stay! »

The Ladies at the front desk - Rebecca, Mercedes, Celia were very nice and courteous. We booked this get-away for our 25th Wedding Anniversary and the Ladies at the desk found out and gave us the sweetest gift. They wrote a lovely note, affixed it to a box of chocolates and tied a beautiful bow around it! We were so surprised and over taken with joy at their thoughtfulness. It made us feel so special. The breakfast the next morning was super good as well. It was way more than your usual coffee and donuts. It was a HOT breakfast with lots and lots of trimmings! HATS off to the staff at the BEST WESTERN PLUS Abbey Inn 1129 South Bluff Street, St. George, UT 84770-5247 We plan to return to visit Zion again and will stay right here!

« Wonderful Hotel with great service »

Based on our experience we know you will enjoy your experience staying at Best Western Plus Abbey Inn, in Saint George Utah. This a beautiful hotel and area of Utah to say in. The breakfast was wonderful and a great way to start you day.

    « What a pleasant surprise »

We booked a room in Abbey Inn as a stopover on a return drive from California. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of this hotel. Everything about it was first rate. It is attractive, well maintained and comfortable. The bed was excellent and the room was surprisingly large and well equipped. Breakfast in the morning was very good. The staff was helpful and friendly and really made us feel welcome. Best part of the deal is the price was quite reasonable. I've paid considerably more for hotels not nearly this good. We will definitely stay Abbey Inn in St. George again.

« Great room, great breakfast! »

We stayed here because it is a great location if exploring Zion and other parks in the area. Rooms were beautiful, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was so delicious and had different options each morning. Definitely one of the better breakfasts offered. Their breakfast staff was on it! It was extremely busy and they were hopping to make sure nothing was empty. The kids loved playing in the pool after a long day of hiking and my husband and I loved relaxing in the hot tub. Would definitely stay again.

    « Perfect »

Really well maintained, feels almost brand new. Our suite was spacious, comfy and quiet (we were on the third floor). Loved our stay here and will definitely return. My daughter thought we were in the Queen's own suite lol. We did not get to the outdoor pool. Plenty of locally eateries to choose from in the area.

« good for one night stay »

The service and check in were fine. A little noisy and not a true "suite". Bed and living area are not really separate, tv is in with the bed instead of in the living area. Many people in the pool, tried to sit down there and it was too noisy. Just O.K. , on our way to the North Rim, fine for the 1 night. wifi was not that great.

    5
« Great place to stay »

This motel was very nice and a great place to stay with my kids. Staff was great and breakfast was exceptional. Pool was a bit small for as big as the motel was but we still enjoyed it. I highly recommend it and would stay here next time.

« Great hotel with helpful staff »

Arrived in town after several flights to horrendous heat from a heatwave, and staff made sure guests were hydrated with water bottles passed out and cold water in the lobby. Rooms were spacious, attractive, with yummy comfy beds. Food choices are limited if you don't have a car, but there are a number of restaurants nearby. A great place and a great stay!

« Great place to stay! »

Staff and facilities are excellent. Clean and comfortable room and bed. Would definitely recommend this property to anyone! The breakfast selection was fabulous and the service was friendly and very helpful. Great convention center available for large groups. Good family atmosphere, also.

    « VERY CLEAN! »

I have to say our room was the cleanest we have experienced at any hotel in a really long time. The pool was well kept and lots of towels were available. There were even 2 hot tubs and quite a few lounge chairs. There is even a clock that can be seen from the pool which is a huge help when trying to manage busy holiday schedules. We loved the room set-up with a fridge, microwave, and sink area with room to store our stuff. There was also a mirror above the sink in the fridge area along with another plug to facilitate more than one person getting ready with a mirror at one time. The internet was easy to use on all of our devices and worked well. Parking was available even at night. We definitely will stay here again. The hotel is about a 20 minute drive to Tuacahan and close to restaurants and an I-15 exit. We didn't have a chance to eat the breakfast but I LOVED that the breakfast hours were long enough to accommodate most schedules. Check in was fast and so was check-out.

« Beautiful rooms, full hot breakfast »

We love to stay at the Abbey Inn whenever we are in St George. The rooms are beautifully decorated and clean. The full hot breakfast is as good as any restaurant. The is a pool and exercise room but we've never had time to use either. Parking is ample. I like that the doors to the rooms are inside. Easy on, easy off the interstate. Staff is friendly and helpful.

    5
« Great staff, clean rooms, »

The staff was very helpful. Great facility with clean rooms and a great night sleep. The television reception was a little rough. Not sure if it was the equipment or cable reception. All in all, it is a great place to stay. Breakfast was amazing!!

« Great place for families! »

This is a great hotel! The beds are comfortable and the staff is super friendly. The breakfast is fantastic and offers a great variety. There was even a staff member making omelettes! The rooms have Bath and Body works shampoo, conditioner, and lotion which is a nice touch!

    5
    « I always stay here for a good night's rest »

I always stay here when passing through. This property has one of the best breakfast around, the internet works good and the place is well kept. Check in and out are smooth and there us usually more than one desk clerk to help out.

« Right For The Price »

The room was clean and the hot breakfast was very good. The AC has a digital screen so you don't have to guess the setting. The hotel needs to donate some of the older towels to charity because they were not soft. The TV signal sucked, but I wasn't in St. George to watch TV. The pool has a wading area for young kids which was perfect for my grandkids.

    5
    « Beautiful Establishment »

Highly recommend this hotel! Beautiful room, comfortable bed and very friendly and helpful staff! The hotel was completely book so the breakfast room was full, but the staff did an excellent job of keeping the food containers full and tables bused. Highly recommend!

    « Get a way to Tuachan »

This is one of the best places to stay anywhere. Service and amenities are the best. Can't beat the breakfast. Hotel was close to being full but the breakfast area is arranged in a manner that is very efficient and you still had hot food and was able to eat in a timely manner

« Off to the Theater »

We took advantage of their theater package. They got us great seat. The $65 seats were $61. Because of the the package the room was also discounted by 20%. The motel is off a short ways off I-15 (couldn't here the I-15 traffic) and on the road out to Tuacahn theater. We had a king size bed that was very comfortable-sleep like a rock. The included free breakfast was the best we have had at a Best Western. Included a custom egg station for fried eggs and omelets.

« Two night separated by a week - Excellent. »

This is a very nice hotel. We were here for two one night stays at the start and end of a tour. On the first night we were on the first floor at the end of the main corridor adjacent to the end of the pool. While there was pool activity and noise did filter in, it did not stop me from falling asleep, so it was not too bad. The Wi-Fi was marginal to nothing in the room, but worked in the lobby. The breakfast buffet was good with lots of choices. We arrived late and left early so had little chance to see more. On the second stay, we arrived just after noon and they stored our bags until a room was ready. This room was on the second floor near the front and was much quieter. Also, the WiFi was excellent in this location.

« Best bang for your buck! »

We have stayed here many times and the staff is always friendly and helpful. We enjoy the quiet and the nice walk to breakfast. They offer discounts for various things so be sure to ask. Their weekday rates can't be beat :)

    5
    « Great Breakfast »

Enjoyed overall stay, but the breakfast was especially good with variety and quality of food. Service of employees at breakfast was also good. Pool area clean with plenty of towels. They did run out of large bathroom towels temporarily due to high occupancy. St George shuttle bus called SunTran stops right at hotel and goes downtown to historic St George area. Use the Riverside route. Schedule is on their website. If you need a car, reserve ahead of time. Recommend Enterprise. Budget gave me reservation which I confirmation, walked two miles, and they told me no cars... they had to serve other customers who has early reserved. DON'T use Budget!!!

« Pleasantly surprised with this Best Western »

That 'Plus' at the end of the name makes all the difference. Really good breakfast selection that I consider above average for hot breakfasts. Pool was nice, especially on a hot day. Covered spa was also nice and relaxing. Very close to the Interstate and many restaurants. We used it as a stopping point between a long day at Zion National Park and Las Vegas.

Very good stay at a great place. I t says I need to lengthen this out to two hundred characters. So to lengthen it out I am going to say the same thing. It is a very good place with excellent staff. When I stay in St George, It will always be at the Abbey. They take good care of their customers.

    « Very very good »

Loved the Abbey Inn - very comfortable room. My husband is handicap & they were very accommodating to him by giving us a room very close to entrance. The breakfast is totally the best---a great variety and a big plus was the omlets that you can pick out and watch being cooked.

    « Not a bad hotel »

The staff were fantastic! Breakfast was great. Rooms were clean. Great location, close to the freeway and everything in St. George. I do wish there were more blankets of the beds. The beds were quite firm... I actually had a hard time sleeping because of it.

« Stayed over in Family Suite »

This property is being remodeled and it is pretty modern, with nice pool area and good full breakfast. The room was good sized. Good bathroom. Beds were OK and the only big issue was the AC didn't seem to work with the wall controls. Construction in our suite wasn't quite done, missing baseboards and a loose electrical plate. The staff was friendly, many wearing Trainee nametags.

    5
« Best place we've stayed in St. George »

Last night of a long trip, and it was one of the best. The room wasn't exceptional, but was quiet, clean, and comfortable. The fitness room and pool were both good. Slow computers in the business center, though. One big positive was a very helpful front desk staff. A second was the breakfast -- best one on the trip. Big selection, and there was even a chance to have homemade while-you-wait omelets with whatever ingredients we chose. The breakfast staff even came by asking if we needed more juice or coffee, and took plates that we were done with. Good location in the center of St. George as well.

« Great place to stay in Southern Utah »

Rates are very comparable with other hotels. The breakfast that is included is outstanding, The hotel staff is very accommodating. Nice 42 inch TV in room as well as internet. Room has iron and ironing board in closet. Shampoo and conditioner are located in shower in individual containers. Plenty of towels. Comfortable beds. Coffee pot, sink and refrigerator are in each room.

« Adequate but nothing to write home about »

The room was clean and breakfast was OK. It is popular with bus tours. The staff is friendly. The decor is tacky in the new building. It is too far to walk to the downtown area - a $9 taxi ride. Basically it is an OK place to spend the night when you just passing through town.

    5
    « Very nice »

Stopped here after long day in Zion National Park. Very friendly staff; accommodations made without hesitation. Room was clean and comfortable. Complimentary breakfast was extremely good - omelets available made to order and, upon request, even had eggs made to order. Would go there again.

« So close to getting 5 stars from me! »

I booked this hotel a few months before needing it and I was impressed to receive a call from Josh, the manager, informing me that the room I booked was going to be in the process of renovation while we were there. He kindly offered me the exact same type of room at a discount (this new room wouldn't have the jetted tub but that was not a big deal, especially since I had no idea the room I reserved even had a jetted tub.) For some reason, I had thought this was going to be a 2-room suite, with 2 queens and a sleeper sofa but it turned out to be a 1 room suite with the sofa in a little added-on alcove. The room was plenty big, though, and it seems the whole hotel is under a renovation. Brand new carpets everywhere, new furniture, granite counter tops. Some of the decor seemed a little over the top IMO: chandeliers everywhere, heavy wood furniture, fleur-de-lis on the wallpaper and carpeting. Let's just say Liberace would have been in heaven! And at first we were impressed, but if we looked more closely at this brand-new, expensive-looking decor, we saw it was cheap: crooked lamp shades barely hanging onto the lamp, lamps wobbling on the table, the shower handle was loose and looked like it had been reused from the old decor. All of that can be easily overlooked, though. Our first room keys didn't work. I happened to bump into a very friendly employee (they were all very friendly!) on my way back down to get new ones. She let us in and told us sometimes it takes a few minutes for the room door to catch up with what the room key says. Well, half an hour later, they still didn't work so I went to the front desk to get new ones. She read them through and said one was not assigned to anything and one was for a different room so she gave me new ones. We had room 386, which is a family suite in the separate building next to the main one. This hotel is huge and the outdoor pool looked nice but was very crowded. Before bed, I was prepared to give this 5 stars, but after all of us got no sleep, I felt 4 stars was more appropriate. We had just been on vacation and this was our last stop on the way home and of all the hotels we had been in, this was the worst night's sleep we'd gotten. The beds were so bouncy and seemed old and squeaky. Every time my daughter rolled over in her sofa bed, we heard it and she says it was very uncomfortable. The pillows sucked and the walls are paper thin--why can't guests coming in late be quiet??? 10:30 PM and we heard them all fighting over the shower. 1 AM and they're all in there chatting away. Be courteous, people!! Be assured, when we went down to breakfast the next morning at 6 AM, we made sure to be not so quiet as we passed their door. Breakfast was awesome! No danishes here! Hot foods-scrambled eggs, oatmeal, grits, yogurt bar, all kinds of awesome stuff! And they come clear your dishes for you! We'd probably stay there again if need-be but we'd hope for better neighbors.

« Resort-level stay for a fraction of the cost »

Lovely room, fantastic breakfast. Great pool and covered spa. Tons of staff visible -- how does this hotel do it? I don't know, but I'm thrilled they do. Micro, fridge, coffeemaker in room. Wifi available in room with a password; no additional charge. Coin-op laundry available (a real boon for travelers). Ample parking, much of it visible from your room, which we appreciate.

« My second stay --really like the location and staff »

The room was excellent. We had a refrigerator and microwave in the room and a full breakfast was included in the morning. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The facilities were very clean and my sister said this was one of the best places she had ever stayed.

    « Great Stay »

Wonderful staff and excellent room. Breakfast was comprehensive and well presented. Great stay, would recommend it to others. Hotel was extremely well maintained. The ONLY drawback was the ice machine. Only one available in our building and it was on the second floor of a three story structure.

« Can't beat Best Western St George »

Excellent staff, service and amenities. You'd be crazy to consider staying anywhere else. The rooms are in excellent condition, the free breakfast was out of this world. Who else has a cook preparing omlets to order for the guests. Also had a great selection of breakfast items. Only thing that could make this better would be to offer a free lunch too! Great staff and great service, I'll definitely be back.

« A comfortable stay for tired travelers »

We arrived at the hotel in the late afternoon after driving from Idaho Falls. The staff was very cordial and informative as to where we could fuel up and enjoy a good dinner. They were right on both counts. Bed was very comfortable, room was clean and good access to the parking lot. Our stay was very quiet. This is our second time at this location. There will be many more in the future.

« Mini memorial day vacation »

Loved it here, was very satisfied with the hotel. It's true breakfast is amazing! Early or late morning, they keep it fresh and hot. Even my picky toddler enjoyed the food. The pool was fun, and hotel room was perfect. It has A sink which was nice, a fridge/freezer and a microwave. The beds were comfortable. No problems with TV or cooler/ac it was perfect even for a pregnant woman like myself. The one and only thing I'd have to complain about was we were staying there at the same time a group of students were and they "partied" until late. The unfortunate part is they placed is in the middle of all their rooms so we could hear everything they'd slam doors turn music on, yell, run down hallways etc. and it was unfortunate given our daughter is a toddler and was trying to sleep. And we had early mornings planned. I never called the front desk about it given that we were only there for a short time and didn't want to go through the hassle of switching rooms. But wasn't very smart to place a family with small kids in the middle of a college party...

    5
« Always nice and clean »

This is the place we always choose when staying in St. George Utah on our way to and from Arizona. The staff is always very welcoming and cheerful. The breakfast is the BEST that we have encountered at a Best Western or any hotels for that matter. We wish we could take this hotel with us on our travels ... it's the BEST! It is also very well situated, close to many restaurants and shopping opportunities. The Brick Oven is our place of choice for a nice quiet/quick and good supper!

    5
    « Great experience »

As always, Malea Perez went above and beyond to ensure we had a positive experience. She always greets us by name upon our arrival. She assisted the other desk clerk with the corporate check-in process which made our check-in process much quicker and painless. She is the reason we request this hotel through Intermountain Healthcare when we come to St George for business. The hotel is very clean, the staff are great and the breakfast is always good.

« Memorial Day Weekend Trip to Zion »

I planned a trip out to Zion at the last minute and this hotel was available for 2 of the 4 days of my trip. After reading previous reviews, I was expecting a little more. I thought this hotel was just average. Maybe if I had kids and planned on being at the pool all day, I would've given it better reviews. The pool area looked nice but I did not use it for my trip. The breakfast buffet was very nice and had a good variety, but it was very crowded and we had to wait for a table. The food staff was very accommodating though. Our room was located near a side exit and the security lock, where you have to insert your room key to open the door, did not work. The door was basically unlocked all the time.

    5
« Best hotel during Utah trip »

Since many of the smaller towns had little to offer, we went big for St. George. The registration clerk asked why we needed such a large 2-queen suite for only two people, but it was worth it as the price was very reasonable for the size. The larger suites were in a separate building (we had room 384). This building was in the process of being remodeled, and our room was beautifully decorated in all new interior and furnishings. The hotel is in a great location, the town is just beautiful, and there are lots of nearby parks and restaurants to visit. The breakfast area was large, but the food was so-so. A fairly large pool area and extremely comfortable accommodations made for a welcoming stay.

    5
    « EXCELLENT »

Room & bathroom are so spacious and so clean (actually clean, not just surface clean). The staff is so helpful and so pleasant. Breakfast is out of this world. I have never experienced a complimentary breakfast of this level...truly above and beyond.

« Like a home away from home! »

I stay at the Best Western Plus Abbey several times a year. It is consistently clean and comfortable. Much care is taken on keeping everything working and up to date. The reception staff are always friendly and helpful while making all guests feel welcome and appreciated. The breakfast is a home cooked and delicious way to start the day. It's a great place for meetings, as well as, a vacation place for the whole family. Keep up the good work!

    « Wow! Fabulous visit »

What a delightful place to stay! The staff went out of their way to be friendly, offer help, make certain the beautifully decorated and generously sized room was clean and well-supplied with all we needed. The breakfast buffet was the best we'd seen our entire trip! We plan on staying here whenever possible!

« Feel Comfortable, Pampered, and Valued as a Customer »

From making our reservations to check in to the stay, and checking out, staff provided the best accommodations with professionalism, friendliness, and care. Making reservations at BW Plus Abbey Inn directly was easy and the staff ensured price and dates and asked if there was anything else they could assist with. At check in we were greeted in a friendly and professional manner. During the stay, we would be acknowledge with a good morning or other friendly manner. Staff was very concerned that our stay was a good experience and it was. At check out, we were thanked for staying at BW Plus Abbey Inn and given a friendly send off. We could sum this up as being Pampered. It was nice.

    « Loved it »

We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed every one of them. The breakfasts were well done, even omelets to order on the first morning. Other dishes were not the average ho hum free breakfast. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Great toiletries, and very clean. Bed was super comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel. It was an excellent value

« Best Best Western This Trip! »

Of the four Best Western Hotels we visited this trip, this one was by far the best in service, staff and breakfast. We could only wish that they were all as good. We recommend it highly. The others were also "Plus" but this one deserves honorable mention. The breakfast in particular was miles better than the others.

    « Fabulous value! »

This hotel is conveniently located just off the freeway in St George, Utah. It was clean and had a working refrigerator and microwave in the room. The breakfast buffet was awesome! Real eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits, waffles, fruit, cereal, etc. and all served in a breakfast room that actually had enough room for many people to sit! Check in and check out was super easy.

Very nice, very comfortable, clean, and all close to Zion National Park. The hotel is located near several great restaurants, has a very nice outdoor pool, and any other amenities needed. Their free brekfast is very good.

    « Reasonable Hotel »

We stayed at the Best Western Abbey Inn for 1 night each on either end of a 6 day hiking trip since it was the pick up/ drop off point. It was a typical chain hotel. The hotel was clean and had everything we needed for our stay at an affordable price. We would stay here again. Pros: Nice pool, Large included buffet breakfast (starts at 6am which is nice for those that need an early start), Room had a small refrigerator and sink which might be helpful for those on longer stays Cons: Hotel is a bit further from downtown St George where there is a better variety of restaurants and shopping. This will not be a problem for those with a car. (We walked to/from and didn't find it a bother, but we don't mind a longer walk.)

    « A great place to stay. »

Extremely clean hotel/room. The kitchenette was a welcome surprise. Nice to have an extra sink. Having a clothes line in the bathroom came in handy to dry swim suits. My wife especially liked the heat lamp in the shower area. I liked the sanitized tv remote. The pool was heated and was a welcome luxury after a long day of hiking in Zion. Breakfast was exceptional. Having an excellent selection that included an omelette station. This place was like being in a restaurant with real china, silverware, and a wait staff. They even had two tv's. One on the left tuned to CNN the one on the right to Fox News. (Clever). I hope we travel to St. George again, just to stay at this hotel.

    « Comfy, Cozy, Friendly! »

What a great hotel! The reception desk staff was beyond nice. The room is spacious with a microwave, a sink, a/c, a desk, an bench, a mirrored closer, a refrigerator, a winged-back chair abd foot stool, and a hair dryer(A pretty decent one, not the ones that try to fry your hair) and a flat screen along with all the other basic amenities. It is just off the main road, really close to I-15. It is also a very lovely brick building unlike most of the orange buildings in St. George. I also saw an outdoor pool around back. The room is immaculate as well as the bathroom. It will definitely be returning to this location

    « Great Staff »

We recently spent 6 days here while we enjoied golf and hiking. The hotel staff was great. The front desk people were always friendly and knowledgeable when asked for directions or suggestions. When we made reservations, the hotel arranged a "stay and play" package for the golf courses we requested. Even the golf course people said they liked working with the people from The Abbey because they knew what they were doing. The full breakfast in the morning was always fresh, hot and had a good selection. We really enjoyed the pool and the spa. The housekeeping was outstanding! It was a convenient location with easy of and on to I-15. We would return here in a heartbeat.

Excellent facility with clean, comfortable rooms. Friendly staff with great breakfast. I would recommend the Abby Inn to everyone. Easy access to freeway and close to convention centers. Plenty of dining choices within a short distance.

    « Great pool! »

We only stayed one night but the pool was great!! My 5yo and 13yo and I loved it! No complaints. The front desk staff was very friendly and the breakfast was impressive! We stayed around spring break time so it literally was the last hotel room in the town! Make sure you book early!

This was a great hotel for the cost. The staff was very friendly, the room was clean, and the air conditioner was on and the room was at a good temperature when we showed up. Thank you Abby Inn/BW for a great place to stay.

    « Solid Hotel »

The person at the front desk was in training. We were checking in late 8:00 PM - I asked for what type of special rates they had, AAA, ARP, etc and she was not too helpful. But a manager was nearby and she got involved and got me a much better rate. It was in a wing that was being renovated, but they were done working for the day and we would be gone before they started the next morning. I good solid hotel. The decor was a little over the top - too flashy for my taste. Lot of glitz and glam. But the room was spacious - a king suite. The bed was only fair, but everything else was nice. The breakfast was included and it was very good with a wide variety of choices. I would stay there again.

    « Excellent stay! »

We only stayed one night as we were driving thru. The hotel was beautiful inside and out. Staff was very friendly. Pool was warm and clean. Breakfast was so good my kids kept asking "this is really free???" We got made to order omelets that were delicious. There were so many options for breakfast. Room was beautiful and clean. It was so wonderful that instead of driving straight thru all the way home we might split up the drive and stay again on the way home. Perfect in every way. Thanks!!

    « A Pleasant Stay »

We stayed at Best Western Plus Abbey Inn for two nights. I have to praise the customer service agents at the counter, starting with Mercedes. They are polite and efficient. I had made some requests when I booked the reservation and they mentioned them and provided them, as well. The room was very comfortable including the bed. We slept so well both evenings. The bath tub was larger than a normal size tub which was a surprise. The breakfast had more items than one could imagine, including eggs, potatoes and omelettes. My only suggestion would be to please make the Seattle's best coffee stronger. I found it very weak both days. Good way to save money but I ended up going to McDonald's after we checked out for a bolder cup. Today we were checked out by a lady who was so accommodating with us, as well as with an elderly couple....but I didn't catch her name. I would always stay here when I visit St. George.

« Staying in St. George »

This hotel is great! We stay there often. The beds are so very comfortable. The staff is helpful and all are so very nice. We love our room, which is very comfortable to live in. Breakfast is the best of any of the Best Westerns we have stayed in. We would recommend this to anyone wanting to stay in St. George.

    « Great Breakfast »

Our stay was very nice, room clean and fresh. We will certainly be back. Our breakfast experience was out of the ordinary for a "quick hotel breakfast". The attendant kept the area fresh, clean and inviting. We were impressed with every aspect of the stay.

« Excellent location and value »

Exceptionally spacious room with seating area and full desk. Comfortable bed but hated the fat, foam pillows. Horrible! One of the best breakfast buffets ever with everything from grits to waffles, steel cut oatmeal with all the "trimmings," yogurt bar, eggs, breakfast meats, breads... All fresh! Highly recommended.

Outstanding employees. Facility was very nice and the room decor to everything was working. Breakfast with all its variety of items was SUPER. As we travel between Colorado and the West Coast definitely will make this one of our overnight stops and maybe longer - plus highly recommend to our friends.

    « Nicely Surprised »

We don't typically love the big mid-level hotel chains, but we were happy with our stay here. The rooms were spacious, well updated and very clean. Loved the black washcloth for makeup removal and the many efforts to conserve resources (reusing towels, sheets, etc.). Loved the big free breakfast. We had a major plumping issue, but the manager was very responsive and took care of the matter immediately. We know they were probably overbooked due to the Ironman triathlon in town that weekend, but they moved us to another room without delay. We appreciate the quick problem solving. Our only complaint was the lack of restaurants within walking distance. But otherwise, very happy with our stay!

« Above Average But a Few Minor Problems »

We had a quick, efficient check-in and check-out. The room and bathroom were very clean. The room was on the third floor with a view of the swimming pool area. The air conditioner/heating unit worked well and was pretty quiet. The room had 2 queen-size beds whose mattresses were a bit too soft for my liking. The breakfast had a remarkable range of choices: scrambled eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy, blueberry pancakes, waffles, oatmeal, grits, fried potatoes, bagels and other breads, various juices, coffee and tea. But here was the cherry on top: they had an attendant in the breakfast room making omelets to order....that was a first for me. It was most excellent. Now for a few minor aggravations: the bath towels were very rough in texture (not sure why), the computers in the business center were very slow, there was no list of television channels in the room, and there was no ceiling fan in the bathroom (just a timer for the ceiling heat lamp).

    « Your best option »

There are several Best Western hotel is St. George and this one is definitely the best choice. The breakfast was the best, by far, of any free breakfast that I have ever encountered. Make-to-order omelets were often available. The hotel has easy access to the freeway and so driving up to Zion park for day hikes was easy. I wish the rest of the country functioned as well as this hotel. Trailblazer

Recently stayed at the Best Western Abbey Inn in St. George and it was a nice experience. Would recommend and plan on staying there again in the future.

Great place to stay. I was there for three nights.. Nice clean room with comfortable beds. The breakfeast staff were very nice and helpful. They have a good hot breakfast. The first night they had an omelet station, it was delicious. I wish they did that more often though. The breakfast is missing one thing though, A fruit bowl!!! I did ask for a banana though and was kindly given one :) thanks!!

I recommend this hotel to anyone who is visiting St. George. It is clean, attractive, and the staff could not have been more helpful. The breakfast is excellent, offering a diversity of items. The hit, for me, was the omlets -- made to order with a good choice of fillings.

It was a delightful experience from check-in to check-out. The front desk help were very professional and accommodating. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We used the swimming pool and the hot tub. The hotel was easily accessible from the interstate. The front desk personnel gave good directions to eating establishments and places of interest.

    « Amazing stay »

We were looking for a hotel close to the airport but yet not too far away from ZION NP. This hotel fit our requirements correctly. Comfortably located 20mins from SGU airport and 1 hr away from ZION Np. We got a room facing the pool and a nice view of distant mountains. On an early chilly morning the spa is a blessing. They have continental breakfast but a nice variety of fruits. Love the attention showed by the staff through out the stay.

    « Great weekend stay! »

We came to St. George with our whole extended family for a wedding and the hotel was wonderful! Great room, great breakfast, great people! The hotel was clean and well kept, the pool area was nice and clean, plenty of towels every time we were there. The internet was adequate but not as fast as I would have liked, we could not stream movies but it was fast enough for general surfing and email. I will stay there again! It was more expensive than I am used to but I think it is more because of the area than the hotel.

    « Ladies Weekend »

I traveled to St George with 70 other ladies for Green Valley Baptist Church's Ladies Retreat. We had our event and stayed at the Abbey Inn. They were great! The rooms were clean and maintained nicely. The staff was exceptional! A big "Way to Go" to Jon and his staff. They were excellent and took great care of us. The breakfast was hot and we had great choices. I would highly recommend them for a retreat or conference or just a family stay. You will not be disappointed.

« very good hotel but breakfast room but breakfast room can be crowded when hotel full »

overall the hotel was very good, the staff friendly and helpful. we were pleased that they catered for coeliacs by providing gluten free bread on request, but the only negative was that breakfast was very busy, the staff struggled to keep up with everything but the hotel was very busy so i guess it was ok. Overall we would happily stay there but if bust would take the precaution of going to breakfast early - hopefully before the crowds

The value here is wonderful. For how little I paid, I received a great stay! The staff was amazing, they really went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. The only drawback was the WiFi--it was very slow. However, the rest of the stay was top notch! It's been 18 months since my last stay here, and they did a great job with the renovations.

A fabulous experience at this delightful hotel. Front desk was helpful with my error on my booking; was resolved to my satisfaction. Great rooms, great pool (heated) and hot tub (hot like a hot tub should be!). Absolutely loved our stay. Breakfast was delicious; it was quite crowded (Sunday morning) but it was tasty. I would love to return! Kids had a blast in the pool.

Staff was very helpful in every way. Rooms were clean. The conference room was made available to our group. Breakfast is a plus. « LOve this place »

I absolutely love the Abbey Inn of St George, Utah. My husband loves it too! The staff is wonderful. When my grandchildren stop by to visit they are treated so well. The staff brings out a treasure box for them to chose a small toy from. The lemon water at the front desk is very refreshing. There is not a better breakfast anywhere. Real Food!!! They come and clean up your plates, and they don't give you a dirty look when you go back for seconds. Only problem, they fill up quick, book in advance.

    « Wedding »

Checked in to a family suite 2 queen size beds we opened the fridge to keep our snacks and drinks cold but the fridge wasn't working we pulled it out to find the plug was only half way in the outlet. I called the front desk to let them know about the problem they said that it could have been defrosted or the previous occupants unplugged it they never checked back to see if it was working or not. Now as for the beds the mattress on both beds were just worn out felt like I was sleeping in a hole so the next morning I checked the manufacturers tag and found that the mattress was manufactured on 02/01/2008 no wonder" it was eight years old. The place was just not clean carpets old and dirty hallways not vacuumed potato chips on the stairway. Lobby looked nice the breakfast was good they just need to update and clean the place.

    « Comfortable base »

It was a cold rainy blustery day as we headed to Zion. Our base camp was to be the Best Western Abbey Inn in St George. It turned to be a very comfortable place to relax and sleep after long days of driving and hiking. The front desk staff were friendly and efficient. Our room was comfortable and provided a clean respite from the outdoors. Nothing fancy but very well kept. The location was good; this is the closest big city to Zion; there are other towns that are closer but they have more limited resources. A full breakfast is included, a nice bonus to start the day. It includes the usual cereals and breads, but also bacon, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, grits, potatoes. There was coffee, milk, and OJ. And a DIY waffle machine. Every item was kept well stocked. The room was well-appointed. The beds were comfy, and the AC/heater unit was a newer model and worked great. A microwave, coffee maker, and small fridge completed the room. A couple requests that would have been nice to have... There is no in-room safe. There is no in-room self-checkout. And the shampoo/soaps were from dispensers rather than individual bottles. Regardless, I would recommend and stay at the Abbey Inn again.

Our stay was FANTASTIC! Milaea or Milanea needs special recognition from you. She was the head person at the desk the night we arrived on Friday, March 25. We discovered we had somehow made reservations at Cedar City, not St. George like we wanted. She found us a room at your great hotel there in St. George. We were very happy. We loved the room, the bed, the full breakfast, the kind and positive staff. Thanks so much! We used to go to Coral Best Western in St. George, but now we've discovered Abbey Inn. They should be the model for other motels. We look forward to returning soon. Vickie and Dewayne Dean

    « Excellent Breakfast Choices »

The breakfast choices each morning were excellent. There were several "healthy" choices as well as the traditional carb loaded breakfast choices which are sometimes okay after a long morning run! The staff is very attentive and professional.

« Totally mediocre, at best.. »

This hotel is terribly outdated in it's decor. It is loud in its noise level due to thin walls. Only so-so room cleanliness. Worn carpet, tacky room fabrics, dismal bathroom. The fire alarm went off in one of our rooms for many hours in the middle of the night. The hotel offered advice on how to fix it and then a puny $20 refund for our troubles. We were totally disappointed in this hotel and I would never stay here again.

« Great beds- go for the "anniversary room" »

We had the choice of a family room or anniversary room. The desk clerk recommended the latter so we checked in! What a great room! Complete with soaker tub, fireplace, seating area and comfy bed. It was quiet and overlooked the pool from its third floor location. The king bed had nice soft sheets which seems to be an anomaly in the hotel business. We got some much needed rest at this great location! Thanks for the good service!!

« Great hotel, poor third-party reservation service »

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. Clean, polite and courteous staff and one of the best Jacuzzis ever. The only problem was with the third-party reservation service (Expedia or Trip Advisor) that cost me much time and frustration that billed me for the entire stay up front and to date still hasn't refunded me for the one night not used. Recommend that you call direct when making reservations to avoid being fraudulently referred to third-party vendors when clicking on what you think is the hotel website.

« Descent place to stay for price. »

Our family of 6 stayed here for a mini vacation. The good: hot breakfast was a big hit and we found the rooms to be clean and comfortable. Location is fantastic! We were only 15 minutes from Snow Canyon State Park and the cozy art village Kayenta. The bad: Bring your own pillow. The pillows were gigantic. Woke up with neck problems. Pool was heavily clorinated. We stank like chlorine for days after. We simply couldn't wash it off. My two girls came home with a small chlorine rash.

St George is a great place to hike, bike play pickleball, and is close to Zion National park. Or if you like ATVing then Sand Hollow is a great place for that with ATV rentals you can drive directly to the park which is huge.

« A must stay when in St. George »

You will be refreshed and energized when you stay at this hotel. The staff is probably the best hotel I've had the privilege of meeting. The breakfast cannot be beat. Made to order omelets, various hot items daily, along with the standard waffles, cereals, breads, and fresh fruit. Coffee is available all day. In addition, the rooms were very clean and quiet. The pool is actually warm, which is great in the winter; not to mention the extra large hot tub. You will not regret staying here.

I stayed at the Best Western PLUS Abbey Inn in St. George for two nights; the first night in the King Suite with the jetted tub. Extravagant and wonderful! It had an electric fireplace for heat and a cozy atmosphere. Breakfast was tasty and the hot tub was large and relaxing. I would stay there again.

    « Southwestern Utah's Finest! »

I have been visiting the Abbey Inn for 20 years now and it has always been a quality place to stay. Consistently friendly staff, great rooms, and one of the best free breakfast anywhere. I choose the Abbey Inn whenever I'm in SW Utah. They also have facilities for meetings, receptions, and other gatherings.

« St. George Best Western Plus »

The check in staff were wonderful, as were the server/wait staff at breakfast - equally attentive and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone staying in the St. George, UT area!!! The room was clean and quiet. The access via the parking lot was great. My overall experience was extremely favorable. I would stay here again...I would only stay here... if I travel through St. George, UT again. I HIGHLY recommend this hotel.

Brilliant place to stay at Saint George. Exceptional caring staff and service. Conveniently located to National Parks and other facilities. Full breakfast service which was the best on our 23 day trip. Recommended without any hesitation.

« Very well appointed, everything you need and a great price too! »

Very well organized rooms with Microwave, Fridge in a compact area. Room was nicely decorated and the breakfast served real eggs! Improvements that are needed are: I found the beds, pillows and frames very uncomfortable, lumpy pillows, really, really soft mattress... the bedding was washed so many times it was really flimsy from over washing, clean! but worn. This BW Plus is a good one and I would stay here again. WiFi was terrible, extremely slow...worse than dial up!

This Best Western is kept clean and it is convenient to the highway and to many restaurants. The breakfast was better than many other free breakfasts you get in motels. The staff was friendly. I would stay there again.

« Large Rooms and Amazing Staff »

The following is a very detailed review. Our party had two rooms for one night; rooms 110 and 202. Malea at the front desk is incredible ? very helpful and patient. Everyone else we encountered was friendly and sincere as well. Rooms are spacious with extra large version of a small refrigerator, a small microwave, and a one cup serving coffee maker with bar sink. There is a small clothes line that can be used over the bathtub area; no exhaust fan in the bathroom. All rooms are non-smoking and pets are not permitted in the hotel. There is a main building then a second building with what appears to be larger suites. There is a fragrance used throughout the hotel; didn't bother me but maybe someone sensitive to smells make not like it. BREAKFAST ? Omelet station made to order, waffle maker, breakfast quesidallas, bacon or sausage, scrambled eggs, biscuits (meh) and gravy, breads/bagels, assorted muffins (angel food muffin = meh), orange and apple juice, hot chocolate, spicy chai and cappuccino via dispenser, variety of beverages, yogurt and fresh fruit station, dry cereal, oatmeal, whole fruit ? excellent buffet. PROS Friendly staff Large, clean rooms Breakfast ? GREAT Ample parking Bath and Body Works cleaning products Clothes Line in Tub Area Nice self-service laundry room Enjoyable pool and spa area Ample parking Onsite pantry with items for sale CONS Small closet ? configuration makes it difficult to access Complimentary Internet is slow Workout equipment brands could be better (TrueFitness and Spirit) PERKS Use the ?Order Inn? Room Service Menu for lunch and dinner; Google their website. There is a $15.00 minimum order required and price does not include sales tax, gratuity or $3.50 packaging fee. Service hours are Monday ? Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Closed Sundays and most major holidays. This hotel is one of the higher rated hotels in St. George. It is easily accessible from the freeway and definitely has a lot of value for the price. I am impressed with this facility and plan to return.

« Extreme friendliness and service »

Great hotel for St. George. Hot breakfast buffet is truly unsurpassed in my experience. (custom omelets, pancakes, waffles, bacon, biscuits/gravy, you name it) Staff is amazing. Asked for coffee cups to go and staff brought water bottles as well. I saw the staff giving little kids checking in free little toys. What was the last time something like this happened to you at a hotel?

« Best Hotel in St George »

There is no better place to stay in St George. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and you can tell the staff take pride in their job. There is no better hotel breakfast than what you will find here.

    « Excellent Breakfast »

Hotel is clean and nice. Comfortable accommodations. Would return to this hotel purely for the breakfast. Wireless internet slow. Would disconnect and then reconnect, Front desk staff was a bit unfriendly when realizing you book your reservation through a 3rd party. The statement that you wouldn't be receiving any sort of benefits due to this fact is a bit blunt.

« best western in st george »

the hotel has been recently remodeled. It is quite pretty. Service was adequate, no complaints. We suggested that they change the light to complement the niceties of the décor. We did not eat at the complimentary continental breakfast and cannot comment on that. My wife and I would certainly stay here whenever staying in St. George.

« Great food and great service »

We recently held a weekend workshop at the Abbey Inn for 30 people. The facility was first-rate (newly-redecorated). Our leader reported that it was the best he had ever worked in, and he has given workshops in 29 states. We included lunch on both days. The meal was offered in a separate room, where we were served (separate from other guests) by a friendly staff who were constantly looking for ways to be of service. The food was delicious and reasonably-priced. I have nothing but the highest recommendation.

« BEST HOTEL IN ST. GEORGE »

My daughter is going to college in St. George and we have booked this hotel twice. The rooms are clean and spacious, the hotel staff are very friendly and the breakfast was really good for a hotel breakfast this one is the tops. Out of all the hotels we have stayed at around this country, this one is far the best. We are planning our next visit and this is where we are going to stay.

    « 5 Star Comfort at a 3 Star Rate »

From the moment I walked in, the staff was welcoming and pleasant. The person at the front desk quickly checked me into a nicely furnished room with plenty of space. She also offered me late check out the next day at no extra charge. The queen suite included a small area with a fridge, a microwave, a coffee maker, and an additional sink (besides the one in the bathroom). There was a nice work space with a desk as well as a comfortable armchair with a reading lamp. The internet was a bit sluggish, but I was able to work just fine without disruption. The beds were comfortable. The workout room was clean and included several cardio machines, a weight machine and some free weights. Provided towels and drinking water. The breakfast buffet was great with plenty of different options. Overall, my visit here was really pleasant. And much nicer than my stay the next nights at a popular 4 star hotel on the Vegas strip. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone and would stay here again.

We enjoyed our 5 night stay very much. Great breakfast and nice pool area made it the perfect for the family. We stayed in January and was still able to enjoy the well heated pool from open to close. The kids also got complimentary beach balls from the front desk. The little things like that leave a lasting impression. Thanks Best Western Abbey Inn for a great family stay.

From the moment I arrived I received great service. The room was clean and inviting. The bed was very comfortable. I wish I would have looked at the brand and model since it was better than what I had at home. The staff were very nice and accommodating. My work had a training there and they did a very good job of being accommodating. I will return and take my family there.

« Soft Beds and clean rooms »

Excellent hotel with very accommodating staff. I was surprised the hotel was as nice as it ended up being. I loved how soft the beds where. The breakfast had a large average hotel selection of food. One negative was the juice and coffee dispensers where down. I also wish they offered little healthier breakfast choice.

    4
    « Good Value »

The beds are comfortable and the breakfast is the best I have seen in an inclusive breakfast. The staff are very pleasant and the rooms are clean. The bed was comfortable, no back ache in the morning.

« Would stay Again For Sure »

Nice hotel - service was very friendly and attentive. The room was clean, and the bed was super comfortable. The room was huge, with a mini kitchen and all the amenities you could need. The breakfast buffet was very nice. Above average. Unfortunately, I was placed directly across from the ice machine. It was very loud and had I not already been awake at 5:00 am, I'm sure this machine would have woke me up then. I suppose someone has to stay near that machine, but maybe it could be placed in a closet somewhere with a door. Maybe? I would stay again for sure, but I would ask for a room away from that ice machine!

« Great Place to stay »

Beautiful rooms, very clean and comfortable. Customer service was remarkable, the ladies who helped us check in were very friendly. Breakfast was a pleasant start to our day. The downtown location makes this hotel the perfect place to stay. It was close to all of the attractions we were interested in.

    « very comfortable »

We stayed in St. George at the Best Western Plus Abbey Inn on New Years Eve and we were very pleased. The room we booked certainly accommodated our family of five very comfortably. We were placed in the building located beside the main hotel. The room was clean, nice and quiet. Even though it was very cold outside, the pool was nice and warm! The morning breakfast was delicious and kept us fueled for the 12 hour drive that day. Very pleasant stay.

« Great Heated Pool in Winter Months »

I loved that they heated their pool to about 85 degrees in the winter. It made swimming with my kids great when it was freezing outside. Their managers special rate was better than any price I could find through a 3rd party booking service like Priceline.

« Not sure worth the premium price »

Several items with the room were not what you would expect with a hotel that charges this much. Had to walk outside into the morning cold due to two buildings to get to the breakfast. Nice that there was King Suite with a sofa bed.

« Stay at Abbey Inn in Saint George, Utah »

We had an excellent stay at the Abbey Inn. Our room was very clean and nice and the maid service was great. The front desk was very accommodating with several requests we had. We love the full breakfast and enjoyed it every day. The eating room was very clean and the staff very helpful and professional.

« Best you bet! great people, great service! »

We recently had to spend a couple of days down in St. George for a hospital visit during Christmas Eve and Christmas Day which was very difficult, but the staff was so helpful and kind that it made all the difference! the hotel was gorgeous and the place was spotless! The breakfast staff was so friendly and the food was terrific. We will certainly come back. Thank you during a difficult time.

    5
« Great for long or short stay »

We book our room only a day from when we left and got a great rate and a great room. It was easy to find and near lots of eateries. The staff was so generous, even when the morning rush of guests were acting less then human for the complementary breakfast. That breakfast was so amazing by the way, waffles, burritos, eggs, bacon, blackberry crumble, everything you could want. Something for everyone. It was about 20 degrees outside and the pool and hot tub was still warm enough for everyone to enjoy. The room was very, very clean. I loved the shampoo/conditioner/body wash dispenser in the shower. So much better then the tiny bottles you only use half of. I appreciate when a place makes these green efforts. It smelled amazing too. The desk, bar sink, refrigerator, microwave, tv would make this place very easy to stay at fro a longer period of time if you were in town for work or event. Parking was easy too for larger vehicles, we have a long truck and could still get a spot in front. We visited Snow Canyon State Park while here, it's only about 20 minutes away. I highly recommend stretching your legs on a trip there if you're staying at this wonderful hotel. Stay here, you'll love it.

    5
    « Good waypoint hotel »

I have stayed at this hotel several time while driving between So. Cal. and Salt Lake City. It has always been clean and comfortable. Their breakfast selection is one of the best with a good selection of hot and cold items. The only criticism I have, and it is common to most lower priced hotels, is that the heating/air conditioning is quite loud when it cycles on and off.

    5
« Wow! Great hotel for a great price! »

This hotel may not be a 5-star hotel, but they sure treat you like you are a 5-star guest. The hotel staff is wonderful. The rooms are very nice, and clean. The beds are very comfortable. And the complementary breakfast--I have stayed in a lot of 4 and 5 star hotels that do not have breakfasts as nice has the Abbey Inn; it has something for everyone. We will definitely stay here again, and I gladly recommend this hotel for anyone who wants a hotel that is a great hotel for the price. Free

« Quiet Comfort and Good Breakfast »

The room was spacious and very quiet with no outside noise or water pipe sounds. The bed was comfortable and extra blankets were stored in a drawer. We only choose Best Western. When time and finances are allowed we love to go to this hotel for a mini vacation. We enjoy the breakfast, the children's pool, washers and dryers, work out room, internet, cable. It is a very clean hotel and up to date in looks. It does not appear run down on the outside or inside. This is a great place for families.

    « Best Best Western »

This was our third stay at the Best Western Plus Abbey Inn. We love this hotel. The staff are the most courteous and pleasant people from check in very late at night to morning at breakfast. We always enjoy our stay here. Best customer service for any hotel big or small. The breakfast is amazing. You wake up to the smells of the delicious food cooking as if him were at home. And the quality of the food is really impressive, especially the eggs, which had different variations every day. The last time we visited St. George, the Best Western Plus Abbey Inn was booked so we had to stay elsewhere. Big mistake. The manager, Jordan Perry has done an amazing job of instilling great customer service into the employees by leading by example. Coming to our table at breakfast to make sure our stay was great!

« Good night's sleep and awesome breakfast »

This is a relatively new hotel, opened in July 2015, and everything is pristine and spotless. My wife and I felt as though we were the first to use the bedroom and facilities. The carpets are still so thick and spongy that it is almost difficult to push the luggage cart along. :-) The welcoming staff were very friendly and professional and, after being checked in quickly, directed us to a Diner just 100 yards away. And the food there was awesome, as teenagers say these days. What will remain always in my memory is the breakfast. It is held in a large room containing the kitchen in which three staff work: two cooking and replenishing items as they start to run out, Meanwhile, all three are making sure you do not sit with empty plates and cups in front of you, taking them away for dishwashing. And there are so many items. I have not seen a hotel in which the breakfast is included with as many items as they have every morning. From grits, scrambled eggs, scrambled eggs with jalapenos and onion, the usual bacon and sausages, raspberry pancakes, waffles and other pancakes, all sorts of fruit and cereals. It was an amazing display. Now comes the surprise:the cutlery is of very good quality and the plates and cups are porcelain. Cups with Abbey Inn on the side. No disposable plates and cups here! We will go back there certainly the next time we are travelling the I-70 in Utah. And the hotel is conveniently just off the highway.

« Wonderful sleep and breakfast »

This is a new hotel (opened July 2015) and everything in it is pristine and spotless. We felt as though we were the first guests there. The room was clean, comfortable and the bathroom as good as can be expected. Wifi was excellent - fast. What was outstanding was the breakfast. It was the largest selection of hot and cold items I have ever seen in a hotel hwere breakfast is included. The room is enormous and could seat over a hundred. The kitchen is staffed by three people, two of whom are cooking and replenishing the items as they get depleted. All three staff clear your plates as soon as you have finished one item. what makes it special is that you eat woth reak knives and forks and porcelain cups and plates. WOW! I would go back to this hotel in the blink of a travel trip.

    « Average at best »

We booked this hotel based on reviewer comments suggesting the facility is within walking distance to downtown, we are avid hikers and it was over an hour round trip. The hotel staff are friendly and the rooms are clean and again we were led to believe by TA reviewers the breakfast was great....hmmm I suppose for some it might be but if you are looking for anything healthy it does not exist. The bed was fairly comfortable and the heating / air conditioning got so annoying we had to shut it down and bundle up for the evening chill. Next time

Great service, the best breakfast in the franchise, and a lovely hotel is what you can expect at the luxurious Abbey Inn in Saint George, UT. « Quiet and comfortable »

I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the St. George area. The staff is EXCELLENT and the rooms are comfortable and the breakfast is OUTSTANDING. So many choices of tasty food, AND we did NOT need to be at the breakfast room early in the morning to catch the freshest items. That was a PLUS. I do not like to get going at six a.m. The best part of staying here was the friendly front desk staff. Each of them was so friendly and willing to help in any way they could.

    « 100 % perfect experience »

Its the only 100% perfect hotel experience I have had. The staff is wonderful. The breakfast is a full breakfast including made to order omelets. Check-in was excellent. The rooms were perfectly clean. Plenty of parking to park my 45' bus. Coffee and water in the lobby available all day. On our arrival we were greater with cookies. What a nice gesture.

    « Only One Complaint »

The hotel was excellent except for the sour skim milk. Two out of three mornings I ate breakfast, the skim milk tasted sour. No staff was available nearby to mention the sour milk, otherwise I would have told the staff.

« Very nice clean hotel »

This is a very nice property. Staff are very pleasant and helpful. The bed was one of the best I have slept in at any hotel. Only 2 complaints. I enjoy my experience at the Abbey Inn in St George, Utah each November. The location is convenient. The breakfast is good, a little crowded at times. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Many services available.

    « Quick weekend trip »

We reserved a family suite which was a nice, large set of rooms, but was in the detached building. The bathroom was tight but OK for how little we were in the room. Wasn't sure about the jetted tub, I refuse to sit in one since the one we have at home demands to have the jets cleaned frequently and I really doubt they do that at hotels. The furnishings were worn, couch was stained as was the sofabed mattress. The elevator in the building was NOT good, looked new but when you boarded on the 1st floor the door REFUSED to close for at least 2 min. Faster way to get it to close was to send someone up a floor and press the call button, then the door closed right away. We told the front desk about it, they told us to push the close door button (which we, of course, had already tried). They then told us they had called the company to fix it. But it made the stairs to the top (3rd) floor the better option when not dragging bags. The pool was great and heated but we rarely used it since no one wanted to trek across the parking lot to our building. Breakfast was a large spread but nothing all that appetizing. And the room was not laid out well and VERY crowded. The omlet bar seemed like a nice touch but was setup on folding tables and didn't look all that good. On checkin they ask you how many are staying in the room, I overheard they charge $5/person over the room limit but you might want to ask for specifics when you call in; they don't check room numbers or who's eating when you enter the dining area. All in all it was a nice place but I think we'll try somewhere else our next trip to St George.

    « Very pleased »

My business stay was very nice. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast had a great selection and was never depleted. I will definitely stay there again when I come back down next year for the same conference.

« Week Stay for Golf Group »

Really enjoyed our stay. Used the pool and hot tub. Breakfast buffet was pretty good. Centrally located with easy access to Interstate 15. Nice clean rooms, fitness center and big pool area. Close to lots of places to eat.

    « Amazing Breakfast »

This is definitely the hotel of St. George. I stayed in St. George for one night before I went to Zion NP. One thing surprised me was the breakfast. It was so good even for the Chinese stomach. The room was clean and good enough to stay in St. George.

    « Great Experience »

I stay in hotels between 50 and 60 nights a year and whenever I go to St. George, Utah I make it a point to stay at the Best Western Abbey Inn. They treat their guests with respect and caring. They also have one of the best breakfasts in the business.

« Beautiful Hotel in a Beautiful City »

I truly enjoyed my experience at this hotel. The staff were attentive, accommodating and kind throughout my stay. The property is gorgeous, and the rooms were extremely clean. I really enjoyed the shower, with the sanitary pumps for hygienic liquids - great idea. I will definitely stay here again.

« Great place, super value »

This hotel is very reasonable money-wise. The breakfast and facilities are top notch. It is clean and easy to access. There are always very helpful staff. If you are in St George for business or pleasure it is the perfect stay.

    « Half Marathon Utah »

Your front desk was wonderful. The breakfast was delicious and varied. Cleanliness everywhere was super. My 2 concerns were the hot chocolate maker made it very lukewarm and the TV channel listing in the room did not match the channels on the actual TV. Took some time to find my channels.

    « Very Nice Hotel »

We very much enjoy staying at this hotel. It is clean, reasonably priced and in a good location. The breakfasts are fantastic. We would prefer the blankets and bedspread were covered in washable materials. There should be some thin pillows and not just big thick ones. And the shampoo/conditioner dispensers in the bath area seldom work. Otherwise, a great hotel.

« Trip to St. George »

We had a very wonderful time on our trip. We had gone down to St. George for our anniversary, and what a great surprise, they had a gift waiting for us and upgraded us to a King Suite, what a wonderful surprise. We loved everything about our stay, very clean and very nice staff employees. Thank you The Monsens

« Great Value for a Great Hotel »

I love this hotel. When staying in St George, Utah, I won't stay anywhere else. You get A REAL breakfast with many, many choices along with a very clean comfortable room at an exceptional price. Perfect!

    « Great service »

This was recommended by a friend who stays here on business. I was looking for a last minute place to stay for the weekend visiting friends in St George. When I called to check availability and pricing the guy on the phone was very helpful and went out of his way to get me the best deal with upgrades. The room was very comfortable and exceeded my expectations. definitely will stay again

« Best in St. George »

Great place to stay. Rooms are big and clean. Excellent breakfast. You won't find a better freebie breakfast at a hotel. Pool and hot tub are nice. Great location. Nicest hotel we've stayed at in St. George.

    « Fantastic all - around! !! »

I won't bother repeating all the other 5-star reviews; suffice it to say that this was an excellent experience all-around. Staff / facility / breakfast were all just so great. They're doing a super job! Price was very reasonable.

    « Consistently excellent »

We make an annual visit to St. George after playing in a Las Vegas golf tournament and have stayed at this BW Abbey several times in the past 5 years. We have also stayed at other BW and other motels in the area and have found that this motel is consistently the best. The complimentary hot breakfast is varied and delicious and the waffle maker makes the crispest Belgium waffles that I've every had. We always stay on the 3rd floor to avoid folks above us and the rooms have always been clean and up to date. There is a form you can fill for special needs (extra blankets, pillows or coffee packs) and timely response has always been appreciated. It's on a busy street right next to H15 so we always request a room back from the street and the elevator. You won't regret paying just a little more for a better night's experience. We golf and play pickleball which are close and there are many restaurants and fast food eateries nearby. The front desk folks are friendly and knowledgeable and the breakfast personnel are equally friendly and keep the food fresh and pans filled

« Would stay next time »

After staying two nights in another hotel in town it was a pleasure walking into a room that did not have to be cleaned by us before we could be a little comfortable. Being in the hospitality field ourselves cleanliness is the highest priority. So far we have been very satisfied with our stays at Best Western and next time we travel we will be staying.. The two different times we stayed at Best Westerns on our trip each hotel had the same high standards.

    « Disapointed »

We stayed here one other time and was very nice, this time not so much. We had an odor in the room and the breakfast was so crowed that we had to stand for a while before a table opened. We had to clean the table off because the staff was trying to keep up with supplying the food.

    « Excellent Experience »

We ended our 10-night vacation at this wonderful hotel. The room was so comfortable and quiet. As we checked in, we found the staff to be very friendly. The hotel breakfast was great - the best we had on our trip and it was included. We highly recommend this hotel.

« My favorite best western »

I spend nearly half my time on the road for work, so I spend lots of time in hotels. This is my favorite one.... for best service where they know your name, treat you as a friend, and has an awesome breakfast every time. The rooms are nice, clean and affordable.

    « Consistently outstanding »

I stay here quite often and have also invited friends to accompany me at the hotel. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The breakfast is like home cooked with a variety to suit most preferences and diets. The pool area is always well maintained. As a side note, be sure to ask the hotel about tickets to the world famous Tuacahn Theater.

    5
« THE Place to Stay »

I gave a score of "10" because everything was right-on. Good location, clean and quiet rooms and fantastic staff. The breakfast offered is well above the norm. We will definitely be staying here again, and for more than one night! Several restaurants are within walking distance.

    4
    « Great room »

This was one of the nicest rooms we have stayed in for awhile. It was large, spacious and very nicely decorated. The staff were friendly and helpful. We were there to ride our bicycles and the staff helped us to find the various trails. There is a nice trail called the Virgin River Trail, just across the street. We also enjoyed the Snow Canyon trail. We had a great time in St. George.

    5
« Best Hotel Stay Ever »

Friendly and very accommodating staff, reasonable prices, comfortable rooms and THE best hotel breakfast you'll ever eat. We stayed on our way to and from Disneyland and this hotel was so much better than the one we stayed at in Anaheim. We will definitely be staying here again.

    4
« CLEAN, COMFORTABLE, COST EFFECTIVE »

I dare you to find a better $100 room anywhere. Close to all the southern Utah national parks or just a place to spend the night traveling I-15. Full breakfast included. Friendly, professional staff. Large rooms with sitting area, office desk and kitchenette nook. What more do you need in St. George?

    5
    « Great Hotel, Location & Breakfast »

Very good value. Clean, nice Hot Tub area, great breakfast..... Very good hotel for the price. Good location close to freeway and for food choices. St. George is a great place to visit, the location of the Hotel makes it easy to get around.

« I Lucked Out With This One »

I stayed here in early May of 2015, my last night on the road, at the end of a two-week round-trip from Long Beach to Lexington, Kentucky and back. I really liked the room. It was a lot different from most of the places I had stayed over the previous two weeks. The aesthetic of the room was sort of masculine, reminded me of someone's den from the 60's or 70's, but more up-to-date. The air-conditioning worked great, and the water pressure in the shower was way more than adequate. The guy at the front desk very helpfully pointed me in the direction of the very good local Mexican restaurant a few yards down the road. The breakfast buffet at the hotel on Saturday morning was very generous, and included all my favorite stuff: eggs prepared a few ways, bacon, sausage, potatoes, plus healthier stuff if you are so inclined. Great people-watching, too. There were a lot of families with children staying there that weekend, so lotso interesting stuff going on in the background. The people at the table next to mine were very friendly, too. I had booked here earlier in the day. I discovered when I got to St. George that night, that pretty much every hotel room in town was booked because of an Iron Man competition in town that weekend, so I was incredibly lucky to have gotten this room. I really enjoyed my stay, and would definitely come back here if I were in St. George again.

    « Clean and nice! »

A young woman named Paulene checked us in and she was awesome! She showed us a room first because we are picky. The rooms were very nice and very clean. It was a very stressful trip so having a nice clean place to stay with a happy kind young lady to assist us was very appreciated. We didn't have a chance to use the amenities or even try the breakfast but if we go back to St. George we will surely stay at this hotel again!

    « Great stay »

We were on our way through to Disneyland. This hotel was a great mid way point. The room was nice, the staff was very kind and the breakfast was great. Loved that the spa was large. Great for fitting the whole family!!!! We would stay here again.

« Great service saved the trip! »

We stayed with my daughters team. She had a late race and wanted to shower before the banquet than night. Jacob was incredibly helpful and accommodating in letting us have a later than usual check-out and saved a teenage girl from disaster :)! Thank you!

    « My New Favorite! »

As a member of the Best Western Rewards family, I have stayed in numerous B/W's all across the West and Southwest. This is now my new favorite! Upon arriving, I was greeted by both Malea and Lynette with broad smiles and nothing but the best of professional help in signing in. My room was a King suite and it made me feel like a King! I needed help with my laptop(what can I say) and Lynette took all of 4 seconds to fix it! The next morning the Breakfast was just to my liking. All in all, am looking forward to staying there again in November!!

« Abbey Inn "Best" Best Western »

Great property, friendly people, extraordinary breakfast, We always stay @ The Best Western Abbey Inn when we travel to St. George. I am amazed at the consistent hospitality, cleanliness and quality at the Abbey Inn. We have stayed here over 30 times over the years and are never disappointed.

« exceptional stay in Saint Geoge »

I have never rated any Best Western a 10 right across the board but this one is indeed special. It starts right from the minute you register to walking in to a spacious bright well appointed room. Since it was our first time in Saint George, Jacob was more than helpful to recommend places to see and restaurants to go to. We liked the Ancestor Square on Main Street with its variety of restaurants. Thai and pub restaurant was recommended in this square but we chose the Italian restaurant in the square simply because we love Italian food. The lunch was great with much food left over for supper. Saint George does not have many places to buy wine or spirits - just at liquor stores. Red wine with pasta was a must and luckily we had a bottle in our car for supper that night. Costco is crazy busy but we still went to get gas and buy a few items at Exit 10 Interstate 15.

« Abby Inn in St George »

I am with a golf group that stays at the Abby Inn every year in April for the last ten years and we have all enjoyed the hotel and staff there. They have always helped us with setting up our golf and our rooms have always been ready on time for us. Breakfast has always been good and hope they keep it up.

« Great Place to stay! »

This hotel was advertised at one rate on the internet, but I got a much lower rate by going to the hotel itself and getting a great rate! This hotel stay include a fresh hot Breakfast in the morning which the Kitchen staff kept refilled and plenty of food available. The hotel is near other hotel and Restaurants with even a 24 hour dinning nearby. I recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in St George.

    5
« Fantastic Place to Stay »

I stay here every year when I am passing through St George; my favourite hotel in the whole trip. This year, my room had been totally updated; which was a lovely surprise. Hotel is located within easy walking distance of many restaurants; and direct access to I-15.

« Dated interiors but very comfortable hotel. »

I stayed here because they have electric car chargers (Tesla and J1772). These chargers are more convenient and closer to the highway I-15) than the Tesla Superchargers in St. George. The rooms have dated decor that is in good shape. Rooms are comfortable and there is free WiFi. The hotel serves an above average breakfast in the morning. I did not try the outdoor pool. I would stay here again.

    5
    « Consistent Quality »

For 13 of the past 14 years we have stayed at the Best Western Plus Abbey Inn for a week long stay while competing in the Huntsman Senior Games. The quality of the facility has always been excellent. The breakfast is superb in terms of scope and variety. The staff are friendly and helpful. The parking is easy. The pool area and the entire property are well maintained.

    « Love this hotel!!! »

I have been staying at this hotel for years and it always seems to get better. I have always felt safe staying at this hotel and always very comfortable. I Love this hotel. It is ALWAYS clean and the staff are amazing. I couldn't imagine going to St. George, Utah and staying in any other hotel. Keep up the good work!!!!!

    « Vball »

Enjoyable place to stay. Friendly personnel at front desk, breakfast crew and housekeeping staff. Breakfast buffet selections are tastefully prepared, food is kept hot and adequately varied. The breakfast dining tables are quickly cleaned of used dishes as people finish eating.

    « Nice Hotel »

We were pleasantly surprised at how nice the hotel was, very clean, staff helpful and pleasant - beds were extra comfortable. Breakfast was one of the nicest we've had at a hotel offering breakfast with their rates. We definitely will stay at this hotel again.

Great hotel with great service, very clean rooms and great comfy beds. Breakfast buffet is great with so many items to chose from. Always stay here when we are traveling through from Colorado to California.

« Typical Best Western - average hotel »

I travel to St. George a lot and have for many years. There are a lot of hotels in St. George - some newer and a lot of older hotels. This hotel is rated #3 in St. George on TA. I have often wondered why as this just a Best Western. I haven't stayed in a Best Western in over 20 years. They had a very good rate on this particular weekend so I decided to try it and see why. The hotel is clean and had a very comfortable bed. Other than that it is just an average hotel and is exactly like the Best Westerns of old. There are definitely nicer and better hotels in St George and there definitely worse. An average hotel. If you are traveling with family and the rate is good I love would recommend this hotel. I would stay here again if other options were not available.

    5
« Friendly staff and a great stopover on family road trip »

We stayed at the Best Western Abbey Inn on our first night of a long road trip. The pool area was great and satisfied my road-weary 8-year-old. It was wonderful to get into a heated pool after a long flight from the East Coast and drive from Las Vegas. Even though the hotel was very crowed due to a family reunion, it was quiet and the breakfast spread was superior to our experience with chain family hotels. The staff at the front desk and in the breakfast area could not have been nicer or more professional.

    5
« Newly Renovated hotel in St. George »

Would definitely stay here again. Hotel has been newly renovated. Close to many restaurants as well as hwy 15. Close to Snow Canyon. Hotel staff was amazing. FULL breakfast included. Group rate for the rooms was very competitive for being in the center of the St. George area.

    5
    « GREAT PLACE »

I stayed at the Best Western Plus Abbey Inn in St. George, Utah October 4th to the 9th. It was great. Staff was very friendly and check in was fast. We reserved the BBQ area one night for a team BBQ and Tina was so helpful. We were there for the Huntsman Senior Games. I would definately recommend this place. Nice pool and the hot tub was nice and hot. Rooms were also good.

    5
    « St. George Marathon »

The room was spacious and clean. Comfortable bed, great pillows. The staff is amazing. This was the most quiet hotel I have ever stayed at on race night. They had breakfast out for runners by 4:00am( Oatmeal, waffles, cereal, toast, fruit, yogurt, juice, coffee). The house keeping staff very kind and helpful. Great location to drive to the finish line to catch the bus. I did not use the shuttle but hear it was extremely efficient. Front desk staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Plenty of close places to eat, grocery store, gas station up the road.

    3
    « Rooms need a facelift! »

First of all, the staff were very welcoming, but the room was dark, dingy with outdated furniture. The pool was better than average for such a hotel, but overall the motel is not impressive. We were not disappointed, because it is a motel with easy access to the interstate.

    3
    « Not much privacy »

"Do not disturb" means nothing. The supposed great breakfast, for me was nothing worth bothering. It was slim pickins. I won't stay here again. Also, the elevator is scary so, take stairs. Plenty of good food nearby. Coffee machine ? microwave ? mini-refrigerator ? cool....

    5
    « WONDERFUL, AGAIN »

We stayed for just one night, but as always with this hotel - was perfect. Was on the first floor very close to the breakfast room, which I thought would be a little noisy. Didn't hear a thing. These rooms are well insulated. Was the first time for my new husband, and he was duly impressed. Clean - beautifully decorated. Staff is always courteous and welcoming. We had to leave early so went to breakfast, which was a full buffet breakfast, and the young girls who watch - keep everything full and hot. All is all - was a very good trip and another wonderful stay. We have season tickets to Tuacahn, and this hotel is close to restaurants, Tuacahn, Zion, or anyplace you desire to go to.

« Convenient to Zion National Park »

We have stayed at the Abbey Inn many times, because the hotels in Springdale right outside the park are not budget-friendly. This motel is fantastic!. The room is clean and spacious. A nice breakfast is included.

    5
« One of our favorite places to stay »

This is one of our favorite places to stay. The rooms are always clean and nice, the bed comfortable, pillows nice and the breakfast...well it's probably the best breakfast we've had at any Best Western (and we stay at a lot of them). Everything is freshly prepared. Yum! Next time we're in this area we'll be staying at Abbey Inn again.

    5
« Great value for the price »

The quality of the hotel room, its employees, and its amenities allowed me to fully enjoy my trip--at two-thirds the price of other local, comparable hotels. I was particularly pleased with the comfortable bed and the extremely helpful and courteous front-desk staff. I highly recommend this BW Abbey hotel.

    5
    « Marathon Trip »

One never expects to have a injury during a marathon, but my friend did. Thank goodness for the support of our hotel, it's staff , and our very busy shuttle driver that day (Oct. 3rd, 2015). Our Shuttle driver , John, not only picked us up and drove us back to our hotel, he went above and beyond. After dropping off others staying there, he proceeded to take us to an Intsa Care and let us know that he'd be back for us. He then shuttled others from the race and such. Like a knight in shinning armor , he was waiting when we were finished. All of the staff were professional and kind I will continue to stay there in the future.

« Best Hotel to stay at in St. George Utah. »

Best Western Plus Abbey Inn is the best place to stay in St. George Utah. Doesn't matter if it is just us or we have a grandchild or two with us, they are always welcoming upon our arrival. Rooms have always been clean and well maintained. Couldn't recommend another hotel in St. George Utah as highly as Abby Inn.

    4
    « Comfortable »

Very pleased with our stay at this hotel. Used it as a base to visit Zion National Park. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. Rooms are well appointed with plenty of space, large tvs, small kitchenette. Hotel is starting to show it's age here and there. Not enough electrical outlets for modern travellers. Cleaning staff are doing an excellent job of keeping the rooms in shape.

    5
    « Excellent and Friendly »

Stayed here in July while visiting the Utah national parks. Hotel was clean. Beds were comfortable. The hotel staff were especially friendly and helpful. The free continental breakfast was wonderful, worth $50 if we had to pay for it at a restaurant for our family of four. Jon, our host, was extra helpful and made sure everything was perfect. The pool and jacuzzi were great after hot days in July. Kids loved it, and my wife and I loved it as well. Would definitely stay here again.
