Clean rooms and bedding, excellent comfy beds, good pillows, nice and quiet. Good views of the ocean. Good customer service. Breakfast would be good I see that you all are working on making a room to do breakfast and I can't wait. This is our 5th visit and we always enjoy our stay. We will return again.

Room was very comfortable, clean, and relaxing, no loud noise, clean bathroom,x nice balcony, I have no complaints. I definitely will be returning. I love the extra add ones, including the utensils and extra blankets. TV quality was good as well, and the parking was awesome.

Great location, updated rooms, clean, friendly staff and secure parking. No frills, just a great spot right on the beach with a friendly staff. Really appreciated the staff at check in and the ease of beach access. Would definitely recommend for an economic clean safe place to stay!! Will be back

The room was clean, and I didn't hear any ocean noise at night, making it peaceful for sleep. I had a great time during my stay. The staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating, which added to the overall positive experience. Would definitely return!

It was all really nice! Overall, the location and environment was great. Very amazing view and it was a refreshing time. I also was able to allow self to let go and be free while at this location and that's what was important to me! Everyone was really helpful and nice.

Highly recommend this hotel. Plenty of parking. Check in and out was super smooth. I don't understand why this hotel has lower ratings. It was clean, had everything we might need to cook small meals, plates, cups, stove top, big fridge. Big tv in bedroom and main room. The bathroom was a little small but very efficient and clean. Plenty of towels! I LOVED sitting on the couch and watching the ocean. I would DEFINITELY stay again.

Abbie and Wayne were the best, courteous, knowledgeable, friendly, made sure you were comfortable at a SureStay hotel. Will be telling friends about this little gem that was kept secret. Great location, clean rooms, pool clean, ice machines, enough towels and amenities.

All rooms are ocean views. They have a parking garage and open parking above the garage. They have two pools that are on the street side, but I didn't use them. By one of the pools they have a nice outside area with a gas fire pit. My room had a separate bedroom with no windows and a door and I slept like a baby. The living room area was big, but nothing special. I would stay here again.

Great location and spacious rooms with all amenities I needed. Oceanfront view was awesome. Right in the middle of the boardwalk. Quiet and great parking. Service was prompt and courteous. No issues to speak of. Will definitely stay again.

Had a great time the Rooms were very clean and everything was nice and the staff was excellent as well. Loved being able to walk straight out to the beach, loved hearing the waves. The rooms had everything we needed. They had irons and blow dryer.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay. The staff was very friendly, willing to make sure our stay wonderful. The room was very clean. We've been to this hotel every year since 1989. We will be there again next year. If you're looking for something fancy, go th the Hyatt.

My wife and I first vacation since our special needs son was born 20 years ago. Check in was fast and easy. Carts to unload car was a plus. Room was super clean and smelled great, all amenities you need were stocked. Love the fact they have full shampoo, conditioner and body was in shower. Couldn't figure out how to use stove so front desk clerk explained it. Balcony is a little narrow but the view makes up for that. We had do not disturb tag on door and Housekeeping made sure we had towels,rags,trash bags,coffee without being disturbed. This place is definitely a hidden gem. Rates are affordable and staff was wonderful. Love the building security. Can only access building from oceanfront and elevator with Key Pass card. Shower in hall to wash off before entering the building also shows that the owners care about the cleanliness of build. If your looking for a resort type of vibe with great price this is the place to stay without breaking the bank this is it. Thank you for the great vacation

I'm third generation beach vacationer who truly enjoys these experiences and very glad to have spent my first vacation in over 4 years here. If there's a room available and you're thinking of a trip, I'd recommend here Best parts: -Great Location: truly oceanfront, you can hear the waves from your room, and walkable to the beach at the best halfway point. Right next door on the walk to the beach is the original Dream Ice Cream shop with flavored cones and hot dogs with must-try homemade chili. Next door to it is also a great restaurant with Johnny's in the name with fantastic fries, burgers, and tacos. -Room: the best value of this room is of course the lovely oceanfront balcony. All the rooms face the ocean and the sun hits the balcony in the first half of the beautiful morning, also showing off gorgeous sunrises. These rooms have the same great feature that Best Western is known for: its well-made cement wall structure that shuts out other guest noise and holds in A/C well. It keeps a well-stocked bathroom with full size shampoo conditioner and body wash, and lots of towels, which is very rare for beach hotels to offer. The free TV options were a nice plus with movie channels. -Kitchen: Its kitchen has a nice full fridge and separate freezer along with all the necessities including a toaster, coffee maker with extra refills, real dishes, and stove top to make pasta/breakfast. Try for a 1st floor room if disabled, as upper rooms are dependent on 1 elevator with frequent usage in peak summer, but front desk is nicely responsive to any concerns brought up. Parking is garaged and in a good location. Best Western for me, has always had a hidden gem-like value and I think even more highly of it now, after seeing they carefully consider guest reviews with very courteous management.

Every room faces the ocean. Enjoy coffee on your balcony in the morning as you watch dolphins 🐬 play in the surf. So many shops and activities nearby. Check in was easy. Front desk staff are accommodating and friendly. All the staff are welcoming. Apartment style room was perfect for a family of 3. Consider Rudee Inlet Jetski and Chesapean Outdoors dolphin kayak tour while you are here.

Our Suite was super clean and smelled so good and had a fantastic view. We walked right out to the beach or through the parking garage to the shopping strip. The kitchenette was supplied with a skillet, a big & small pot, strainer, can opener, toaster, pot holders, coffee pot, towels, dish drainer, soap, sponge, plates, bowls, coffee & regular cups and utensils and a broom and dustpan. Its a nice size refrig & freezer, and microwave. It has a Kitchenaid two burner electric stovetop The management is great. Our House keeper was amazing with keeping us stocked with clean towels & toiletries. They even called when we were at the beach to see if we needed anything while we were gone. Parking is a little tight if you have a minivan but can be done with a little patience. Overall great experience and a great price! We will definitely stay there again!

Not the prettiest hotel on the boardwalk with ocean front views, a pool, and a separate bedroom, but definitely at the top of the list for best bang for your buck! The low price in comparison to others in this location far outweighed the single, slow elevator (but, hey it worked!) and the gloomy paint scheme but I would stay here again! Waking up to the site of the ocean (and dolphins!!) and the ability to walk straight out to the beach were incredible. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. We had a great time.

Great service, great location all on the beach for a great price! Just a short walk along the sand or the board walk on either direction to great restaurants. On the opposite side of the hotel you will find sidewalks leading you to various shopping venues, eateries, and activities until your hearts content. We were sad to leave but will be back next year for sure!!!

The hotel is very nice and cozy, we liked it a lot, the fact that it has a kitchen made it much better, the only thing that was a little annoying was the excessive noise that the room neighbors had, I don't know why they were allowed to have music at such high volume. otherwise we were happy

We really enjoyed this hotel! It is one of the smaller beach front hotels, but was enjoyable. It was perfect for our family of 6. It was very clean. Housekeeping came daily. The pool is small, but still enjoyable. The main issues we had were parking was tight and the elevator took a long time on most days. The room had a full size fridge, a stove top, 2 full size beds, and a pull out couch bed. The water pressure for the shower was great. The location is perfect (mid-boardwalk). We honestly loved this hotel and hope to stay here again.

Just an overall great experience. Nice large breakfast area with many options, very close to Six Flags, very clean, and nice pool area. It is also really close to some shopping options if that is your thing. We would not hesitate to stay here again in the future!

The whole studio was awesome..the location the view the activity. The front of the building was the boardwalk all the activities restaurants stores etc the back of the building was the beach the building is secure you cannot get in or out without a key the rooms were clean the beds were comfy the front desk people were excellent parking was great the cleaning people came every single day asked us what we needed I have nothing bad to say

Stayed here with my 14 yr old son and we had an amazing time! Staff was nice and friendly quick and easy check in/out. The room was nice clean spacious and smelled good. The best part was the oceanfront view so beautiful. I highly recommend SureStay Studio. We will be coming back!

The location is excellent and the hotel staff was amazing . I truly am so grateful for the front office gentlemen that helped me resolve a issue with my credit card and also securing our luggage so we could enjoy activities on the last day of our vacation. The room was very spacious and slept 4 adults and 2 kids very well. Having the kitchen was a blessing so that we didn't have to eat out every day. Our room attendant was amazing. He made sure that we had everything we needed for our entire stay. He deserves a raise 👏. I would recommend SureStay for anyone visiting Virginia and I would definitely stay there again. Thank You to all of the staff for helping my family have an amazing vacation ! I wish each of you happiness, peace, and prosperity! 🙏

My wife and grandkids loved it..we are planning to return there again..very cozy and conveniently located..friendly and courteous staff…we were lucky to get a ground floor where we could just walk out on the boardwalk…and camp out on the lawn in from our room…kudos..

The hotel was clean. The room was clean. It was immaculate on the beach prices I comparable and we didn't have to sleep in the car. Our room face the beach so we were able to be on the beach for a sunrise walk. Location was convenient to everything.

Decent suite. Oceanfront and centrally located on the boardwalk. Easy walking distance to good food and entertainment. Daily housekeeping. Balconies and pool are on the small side. Staff is very nice. Beds are comfortable except the pullout, but those are never comfortable!

This hotel is very nice because it has all you need. People are nice. We stayed for 3 nights there and of course it needs some improvements like the stairs need more attention also the pool need more attention and more square with the hour of use because for two nights, we didn't sleep well due the there was a couple that made a lot noise aro 2 am enjoying using the pool while others trying to sleep. Overall, it seems a very good place to stay while you are enjoying the beach. It's clean inside no insects found which is nice.

Room was very clean and comfortable not a spec of dust. Kitchenette was well stocked with a few cooking dishes and complementary cleaning items. Great Ocean front balcony. Parking deck was a little tight, and elevator was a little wobbly but we made it work. TVs worked very well and great channels. Serves the purpose if you are looking for basic affordable getaway!

Stay was great spot on sleep sofa and bed hair on tub however maintenance came when we needed direction on the use of the stove. General manager came and refilled detergent. Need a new elevator if possible add another one. Thanks you all rock I will stay again most definitely and I will recommend to friends and others.

This was a great stay. All amenities in the rooms are a plus. Really nice ocean view. Only one elevator, that was the down fall. Pool had no shade, no umbrellas but it was ok. No restaurant onsite. Everything was great walking distance. Staff at the front desk were extremely friendly. One maid knocked on the door which was surprisingly odd because we had the DO NOT DISTURB sign hanging on the door. After I told her we were good, she went to my other family's door. I just said there are Do No DISTURB signs up. She hunch her shoulders and walked off. Other than that, it was a good stay.

Good location. Near a lot of places to go and felt in a very safe area. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are clean and well equipped. Bed was comfortable A/C worked great. And FREE parking. I would definitely stay here again.

Thank you for a clean, comfortable and safe environment to spend a couple of days. We will surely come back. There were major upgrades with the tile and wood floors. Couch seemed either newly cleaned or new and bathroom well kept. Bed slept well. Water pressure was On-point. The entire weekend, including weather, was wonderful.

NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH SURESTAY VIRGINIA BEACH ROYAL CLIPPER!! This one has ALL oceanfront rooms. It only has about 8 floors. Great experience overall!! I had a "1 Queen Bed and 1 Double Sofa Bed room. I grabbed a great deal right before Memorial Day! The room was spacious and clean. However, you should definitely wash the dishes before using them, which I do anyway. There was obvious dried food on the plates & pans. The coffee pot had a used filter in it. The shower pressure & temperature were perfect! The pool was drained when I arrived on Sunday. However, it was filled by Wednesday. Wayne at the front desk was very kind and explained everything I needed to know clearly. The other staff I came in contact with were friendly as well. I felt safe also as the hotel required your room key to take the elevator and enter the building from the boardwalk. The free parking on the property was great and vast for me, however, may be extremely limited during busy times. I have a Toyota Highlander, and I parked in the covered lot on the lower level without any space issues. I was on the 7th floor (I asked for a higher floor), and the view was absolutely perfect. Walgreens is across the street & Walmart is about 1 exit away, so if you need to buy food & snacks, you won't have to go far. It's in the perfect spot to walk to several restaurants attached to other hotels or those on Atlantic Ave. I caught the end of the sun rising because my alarm wasn't set, and the other days were too cloudy. But, definitely the perfect spot to see the sunrise! The moon was beautiful as well! Horseback riding is available on the beach a little walk down the boardwalk. A playground is in walking distance as well. There are plenty of public restrooms nearby as well as outdoor showers on the boardwalk to rinse the sand off. You could hear a bit of the street noise and others outside, but that's the price you pay to be in the middle of everything! I will definitely stay at this hotel again!

I recently stayed here for 2 nights. I can't say enough good things about this hotel. All the staff I encountered were friendly & helpful. My room was large & pristine. The complimentary breakfast was delicious & offered many choices. I would definitely stay again & highly recommend.

Isabel was the best part of every morning! She greets everyone with a smile and you can tell she takes pride in her work. She made sure that the breakfast area was spotless and the food warmers were always full. Our rooms were clean and designed well. We would definitely stay here again!

This wasn't the first time we've been here, and it definitely won't be the last. Thanks to Karina, the hotel manager, we had a very comfortable room for my grandmother while she was here visiting for my graduation. Great rooms, great breakfast, and exceptionally kind employees!

This hotel is perfectly located! It's situated right on the boardwalk and entertainment and restaurants are within walking distance. No added cost for parking. The front desk staff are friendly, helpful and checkin/out was easy. Every room has a balcony with ocean view. The room was clean and had everything we needed from dishes, extra blankets to a broom and dust pan incase sand gets tracked in.The bedroom is separate from the main room so kids can go to bed undisturbed while you enjoy the livingroom space or balcony. The outdoor pool is also nice for when you don't feel like heading to the beach. I like the security feature of needing your room key to gain access to the elevator and beach entry door. Perfect for families or couples. I've stayed here before and received the same level of satisfaction. There are only two things I dislike: check in at 4pm not 3pm and there's only one small elevator for 8 floors so during busy times you will be left waiting. But don't let that deter you from experiencing this great hotel.

I unfortunately had to cancel my reservation due to my family being positive for Covid. I called yesterday and spoke to a very nice gentleman who said he would take care of cancelling my reservation and I wouldn't be charged due to illness. My credit card was charged $186.97 today. I called and spoke with the manger who was extremely rude and not compassionate at all. Once I realized I was not getting anywhere with him i ended the call. This rude man called me back and left me a very hateful voicemail.

Very convenient to shopping,beaches and dining. It's an efficiency so you can choose to cook in or dine out. View was excellent and staff was available for an issues. Very friendly and professional. Clean room and spacious to move around. Would definitely book again.

The lady that checked me in was very inviting and friendly and told me about restaurants and entertainment I can't remember her name but she was great. Also, I love that the room has a kitchenette and it was oceanfront. The only thing that I did not like was being on the 7th floor and that's just because I'm terrified of heights.

We had a great stay. Bring something to block noise tight. We could hear everything, a box fan fixed the rest of the trip. Front desk was friendly & helpful. Hotel was clean & reasonably priced. Great view for sunrise & even caught some dolphins playing our third morning.

This has become our "go to" hotel for many of our trips to Southern Cal from the Central Coast of California. The staff is always welcoming, the rates are reasonable, the accomodations are always clean, there's free parking and the complimentary breakfast is very nice. There's also a fitness center on site.

The hotel impressed me with its impeccable cleanliness, and the warmth of the staff left a lasting impression. Their genuine friendliness, especially towards children, truly stood out. It's evident that they value every guest as an individual, including the little ones.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had a king suite with kitchenette on the top floor. Great views of the beach from the balcony or sitting on the couch. It was nice to have a tv in the living room and bedroom since it's NHL playoffs there was no fighting over the tv. The kitchen had everything needed to make quick meals. Was also great having a full size fridge with freezer. They don't offer a breakfast but we knew that ahead of time and brought breakfast items with us. Microwave and coffee maker also came in handy. Plenty of towels, great water pressure, hot water and wifi worked great. Great location about 1/2 between the pier and King The only thing we missed was having a coffee table at the couch. We used the kitchen chairs as a makeshift table.

Outlets in lamps didn't work. Main door doesn't open all the way bc it hits the bathroom door. Other than that, the room had a great ocean view and full kitchen was a plus. Houstkeepibg came everyday. Walking distance to shops and restaurants too. Great location.

Would have given them a 5 if it were not for the people next to us smoking on their balcony and us not being able to enjoy our outside space because of it. I was sent multiple emails about this being prohibited so was super annoyed about it not being enforced.

One of the nicest places I've stayed in. Very clean and comfortable room with ample towels and supplies. Friendly staff. Full kitchenette was a plus! The ocean view and central beach location was great. Great bargain! Close to many points of interest. Gift shops, food marts and great dining within walking distance.

Studio rental with all the cookware. Full size beds slept well. Oceanside balcony. Dated, but cozy and comfortable. Front desk personnel were wonderful! Parking was tight with a full size pickup. Tvs I couldn't get the CC to work, but they were nice size screens. Wifi is available for free. I'll stay here again!

The cleanliness of the room and awesome view. The staff was extremely nice and welcoming. My kids loved it , I would recommend to any family or person wanting a good location and peace . Great food across the street and the parking is awesome. !

The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are bigger than most. The views from the balcony are beautiful. The hotel is very good. The staff member there named Ms. Sheila, was very nice and professional and very informative and helpful. We will be returning very soon.

This is a great property to stay at. Clean and room setup with the bedroom as a separate room is wonderful. No breakfast, so you can enjoy other restaurants in the area. When visiting Virginia Beach, this is the place I will return. They have put in a ton of work to keep this property so beautiful.

I decided last minute to make a reservation, called the 800 number and got assistance right away, the staff was exceptionally friendly and the room was very clean, I must say I was impressed by the full sized shampoo and conditioner hanging on the shower wall

It is an older hotel, but the staff and room was great and the room was clean. The only downfall would be it says it is for six people that is if you are very skinny and don't need a lot of room in bed.

The pillows are the fluffiest we've ever felt. Stay at multiple Holiday Inn and expresses the last 3 weeks on our xcountry roadtrip. This had the best hot breakfast and friendliest staff. Isabel manned the breakfast area. Kind and helpful. I would definitely stay here again!

Stayed for 2 nights and while on par with most Holiday inns this one you can tell was older. The chemical smell (lots of bleach) bugged me quite a bit, so much so i had headaches both nights. The security on the hotel is pretty good, use key card to get in all doors. Room is decent but showing its age, bed was comfortable. Not great water pressure for the shower which is one of my pet peeves. Prob would look for somewhere else to stay next time.

This property was a good example of the HI Express brand expectation - it covers the basics well. The room was clean, comfortable, fairly spacious, and functional. The breakfast was a notch above what I usually see from the brand. The location is great if you're visiting to go to Six Flags as they advertise. The park is but minutes away and you can see it directly across the freeway from certain rooms. (Although that side does get a little bit of road noise). They had a few electric vehicle charging stations as well which was a plus as my rental was a plug in hybrid. (Note - it charges $5/hour to charge). There are a number of convenient restaurants nearby from fast to fast causal and I saw on the map there was a shopping mile but a couple of miles away. It's not the Ritz but I'd recommend it.

We loved this place so much! My fiancé, myself, and our friend had gotten a 2B1B room with kitchenette. I appreciated the cleanliness of the place and attentive staff. We felt safe and had such a great time. Ocean front plus a homemade breakfast while watching dolphins out our window was top tier!!

We spent 4 nights at Virginia Beach at the end of December and stayed at the SureStay. Staff was very kind, check in and out was smooth, we got a studio on the 8th floor with spectacular views! Kitchen is well equipped, easy to prep some light dishes. Bathroom had shampoo, conditioner and body wash too. I just couldn't find a blow dryer, but otherwise everything was there to have a great shory getaway before new year.

The staff couldn't have been any nicer. The rooms were spotless and the view was beyond belief. Our room was basically a 1 bedroom apartment as opposed to one room and a bath. The hotel is aligned to an area near the water where dolphins routinely swim and we saw several from our balcony.

A very clean, cozy and nice hotel with the beautiful mountains of the valley anytime I visit santa clarita for work I always come to this location. The staff is friendly. The breakfast is good and I just love the consistency of excellence. I see Isabel often when I get breakfast and she always greets me with the warmest good morning. So nice.

I love our stay here - such an amazing view of the sun from our balcony, very clean, quiet but there's just squeaking and vibrating noises at night, respectful, knowledgeable, friendly staff. The pull-out bed was nice and has been updated. It doesn't look like the pics here.

Nice price for location and space. Staff extremely courteous. All white linens and was clean. Oceanfront balcony great for overlooking the tide. Room was equipped w a very clean fridge and stovetop w all kitchen utensils provided. The elevator is a little slow.

Awesome view of the beach. Love the fact that it's almost like a one bedroom apartment. I rarely was in the room; even so I had good night sleep. The only thing I would critique is the slow elevator. I'll still give 5 stars. Thanks fpr a good experience.

The views from the room and balcony are unmatched for any oceanfront room I've had! The manager gave me a tour upon checking in, and helped us along the way on our journey with questions we had! An all around great experience! Water was hot, pressure was great, beds were comfy, and everything in the room seemed very clean!

All cool, nice pool incl. fire pit. Staff friendly, rooms are large and very clean. Opening just 2 years ago. Not sure we're the old comments coming from… Even the hotel was booked completely, they managed everything very well. Would rate 6 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ if possible.

I liked how me and fiance had own room from my mom sister it was nice room. Perfect location. Parking is tight though. Did struggle getting out of the lot. Had a good time there. Maybe go back next yr

The rooms where amazing. I left my sons cell phone there . They called me to let me know and is mailing it to me . Amazing customer service. I will be going back to stay there .The pool was great for children also

We stayed at the Holiday Inn in Santa Clarita for a couple of days and had a really great experience. The staff were very accommodating and friendly especially Ms. Hannah Bermudez who made our experience at the hotel worthwhile and pleasurable. The lobby, rooms, and other surroundings were clean and comfortable.

They have a full kitchen a microwave and all the amenities one will need for a business trip. Plus a great view of the beach and it's really close to the oceanfront and boardwalk there was an outdoor pool on my floor as well.

Ria was amazing along with the other guy. They went out their way to make sure we had a nice stay I will go bk with my kids. I only have one problem the elevator it's used for everything and there is only one elevator they need a service elevator but overall a great hotel thanks again Ria

My daughter and I went for a long weekend and chose to stay here for the first time. ALL the staff was friendly and helpful and always had a smile. Very relaxed, no frills place. Parking was tight but the staff was very helpful in guiding us to a parking spot in the middle of the night! We had everything we needed for our short stay!

The housekeeping was nice I forgot her name but she was so nice and was checking and giving us everything we need. The room was perfect everything we needed was there. It was a little small but we had fun.

We had a great experience! The oceanfront view was amazing! All amenities were as promised and we were even able to check in a little early…what luck! The staff was very accommodating and pleasant! The location of the hotel was in the center of the boardwalk, so the value we got for what we paid was well worth it!

We frequent the Best Western chain all over the United States as platinum members. This has allowed us a large scope of what to expect at each location depending on the particular chain, etc. This was our SECOND stay at this location. First was September 2021. Front desk staff — incredibly kind, helpful and welcoming! This is ALWAYS a plus! Truly sets the tone for the overall stay. Our reserved room type was not available due to an unexpected situation at the hotel. Perfectly, ok. Front desk took care of us and explained the issue wonderfully. It was sad we didn't get our Queen bed but we understood. This was not their fault as weather caused the problem. Life happens. Great job for accommodating us the best you could. We are thankful! The Front Room & Bathroom — the front room & bathroom had a few minor items that you could tell were very dated and needed some TLC. You could also see where minor items were updated and had recently received some TLC. Surfaces were clean and free of anything strange. Fridge had no odor. Couch is vinyl which we get because of the beach. The vinyl was extremely worn on the couch. Shower appeared very clean. Free of an dust, hairs or anything else. The overall smell of the room was very clean. The towels appeared crisp and clean. The biggest issues with these two areas were the bugs at night time. No bugs during the day but boy oh boy, at night it was really bad. I know they were seeking refuge from the cold, as that is very normal for the time of year, especially near water but there were so so so many. Like, way too many. As in you turn the light on & they scatter type of situation. As in you use the bathroom in the middle of the night & 7 of them on the tile work of the floors & walls. Eeeeeekkkkkk. It was 2am & we had been drinking, there was no way we could leave safely. No sense in complaining as if they were that abundant, they would be everywhere. The bedroom — can tell this area is the most recently renovated. Nice vinyl flooring & new baseboards that make the floor all together as one. No holes for bugs to come in through the tile work, etc. Nice headboard and nightstand. Enjoyed the cubby holes for storage. The mattress's were a bit rough but the bed sheets were crisp & clean. Same for the blankets. The box spring could really benefit from being covered instead of showing. It would add much nicer eye appeal. We never once saw any bugs in the bedroom which is part of why we stayed and toughed it out. Excellent sunrise view and gorgeous ocean front access. While it's not the best, it's not the worst either. The kindness of the employees combined with clean sheets & towels made us happy. It's great if you are on a budget for an oceanfront room. It's located right in the strip & boardwalk. Walking distance to pretty much anything you can dream of.

Good and not so good. View outstanding, staff excellent, full size refrigerator great, did not use electric burners. Bathroom in good working condition. The room was clean The front desk is a small room off the parking garage. TV had Roku, we were unable to get live TV. We were here on New Years eve and wanted to watch the ball drop but where it said live coverage on the guide, it was only an infomercial. Had to watch it on my phone. Made coffee but tasted like soap and had to throw it out. The bed was worn out. Sitting on it caused loud metal against metal sounds. It was inordinately uncomfortable -- we both slept badly. Covers inadequate, they consisted of two sheets with a blanket in between. No duvet, quilt or comforter. Was told that this is all Best Western requires. Pillows just fair. Room humid, wish ventilation system had been better. The location is perfect.

I'm a member of IHG Rewards because I've found that the beds at Holiday Inn Express Hotels are consistently comfortable. This particular hotel has the comfortable beds, clean rooms, and an excellent front desk staff. I especially appreciate Mia, who was able to check me in midmorning, while also efficiently checking people out of the hotel. I had a room that was close to the freeway but I turned on the room fan as white noise and was able to nap during the day as well as sleep at night. I heard a couple of doors slam but didn't hear anyone next door to me or above me. I know the hotel was busy because the breakfast area/ lobby area was full when I went downstairs but it was peaceful in my room. I appreciated that because I was staying there to rest up before a long drive home.

A key card was required to use the elevator; and I appreciated this extra level of security for guests. The room was very clean, all amenities worked properly, hotel staff were professional, friendly and helpful. Customer service was excellent from reserving our room (by phone) to checking in and out of the hotel room. Price for the "ocean front" view was more than reasonable. I have absolutely no complaints about our recent experience at Best Western Sure Stay in VA Beach, Virginia.

After being sent up a rickety squeaky elevator to the 8th floor to a dirty room I was disappointed. The room was humid and musty. The bathroom floor and tub were full of hair (not mine), the light switches were smeared with something brown, the floor was gritty and dirty, the heater continuously gave out and spouted cold air. Not all the outlets worked. Good Luck...

The hotel is in a good location with awesome views. Staff was friendly and helpful, however, the floors in the room were very dirty. They turned white socks black. I would stay here again just need the floors to be cleaned and not just swept.

From the beautiful and spacious 2 room suites to the staff, my experience was perfect. I will not stay at any other hotel at the oceanfront. I initially thought it was a little costly, then you stay a day or two and realize it is so worth it. The balconies give you a perfect view of the ocean. The kitchen comes stocked with all cooking utensils and soaps/kitchen towels you need. Unlimited dish soap. Very easy to cook actual meals in. This is by far the cleanest hotel i've stayed in, almost as if no one had stayed in that suite before. There was never a negative experience with the staff. They are redoing their flooring and it was not an issue to them (or it seemed anyways) to stop, allow me and my son to go by into the office, then apologized and continued once we left. Very respectful. They were doing some other work, but it was barely heard and short lived. Not a big deal.

Being a hotel employee and FO manager for over 10 years, my expectations tend to be very high when I stay in hotels for business or pleasure. I have to say this hotel exceeded my expectations by far! I stayed with my boyfriend in room 233! *** Front desk and breakfast staff provided top-notch guest service. I got the names of Raina and Isabel. Regrettably, I failed to get the names of a young man who I usually saw in the afternoons and a young blond girl. These two FD clerks, along with Raina and Isabel stood out for their great hospitality skills. Great job, guys! *** Breakfast was delicious, great variety, good temperature, and always looked replenished and cleaned. *** Room was very well-kept, comfortable, provided all necessary amenities, and hskp service was excellent. *** The only suggestion I can make is to work on the sofa beds. My sons visited us for one night and it seemed a bit uncomfortable (they could feel the springs).

Hotel was clean, staff was nice, pool was clean, rooms were clean and pretty spacious for a couple. The TVs operated, balcony was fine as was the view. The room was slightly better than expected. Was very accessibly to the beach

We enjoyed our stay here. Although the hotel is older, it is well maintained. The rooms were freshly painted. The beds were comfortable. The hotel was doing some updates like replacing patio doors and building a new lobby/office area. The front desk staff was very friendly. The ocean view was very good. Very small pool area. Parking was very tight but plenty of spaces. We really enjoyed the boardwalk for walking and people watching. Many shops and restaurants within walking distance on Atlantic Avenue. We also purchased a trolley pass and the stop was close to hotel. We visited the Cape Henry Lighhouses which were only about 6 miles away. Enjoyed our stay here.

We stayed at the Best Western Surestay Studio beginning Labor Day for 5 nights. The area was nice and very walkable. The hotel was older but had been freshly painted and updated. Staff was replacing patio doors while we were there and working on new lobby/office area. The beds were comfortable. Bathroom was small but adequate although some shelves would be nice for storing your bathroom necessities. The ocean front view was excellent.

Staff are not friendly. Rooms are tight to get in. Balcony door wouldn't lock. Bed had sand on it and sleepsofe had a used sheet still on it someone's kids pooped in pool and left it, how gross. We had gotten in before we saw it.

I have stayed at this location before it was a Best Western. Things have not changed much with the exception of painting and general cleaning. The sofa sleeper is not comfortable at all for seating and the only other choice is a couple of plastic chairs. Hopefully before my next visit they will upgrade the seating. I will continue to stay here.

No cleaning service. It had the worst sofa bed option and I wouldn't go back there if you paid me too. One thing I will say is the sheets were clean and the floors were clean. The service desk was "meh". The lady that worked there during the daytime, couldn't tell me where the closet Dunkin Donuts, not that its a big thing but guest from out of town want familiarity with comfort foods. As a service desk, that should of been the basics for me.

Clean although dated suites provided everything needed for a week long family vacation. Desk clerks very friendly and accomodating. Minor room issues due to aging facikities but great location and view of ocean. Great value.

We came here for a bachelorette trip and this place was way below all of our expectations and we felt unsafe during our short time in this hotel. We discovered that the balcony door did not shut or lock and neither did the bedroom. There were bugs and pills underneath the mattresses and the room had an odor. We discussed the problems with the staff who showed us other room options and they were all the same. They did not think it was a big deal and thought that we could just prop something against the door. As a group of young women a long way from home, there was no way that we were going to stay in that place. We checked out immediately and booked into another hotel that was much nicer with very little price difference. We asked about a refund due to the conditions but we have not heard back yet. Either way, we were not going to stay and we will not be back.

Very nice hotel. Excellent service and hospitality. Very accommodating. New hotel with large rooms and very clean. Great location for Six Flags Magic. The City of Santa Clarita provides a summer trolley which runs from the hotels including Holiday Inn do the amusement park. Good breakfast.

Pictures on booking is deceiving. The sleeper couch needs to be updated. Would have been nice to have some other furniture in the living room, other then plastic chairs. Very outdated. Location was about the only good thing. Right on board walk. Likes sitting on balcony and watching the ocean.

We had a 2 double bed room that had a tv, microwave, and small refrigerator we were supposed to stay Friday through Monday. We didn't even try the microwave or the tv. The small refrigerator was in poor condition. It had a very small freezer on the inside but couldn't even keep popsicles frozen even on the lowest temperatures. The room itself seemed to have sand tracked throughout and even in the bedding. So not sure how much cleaning the housekeeping staff truly does. We ended up leaving the hotel a night early as we found a 2 inch long by an inch wide cockroach in the room. We went to the front desk and the girl behind the desk seemed to get irritated with us by the look on her face. She gave us keys to another room which was the room right next door. If you know how bugs work you know if there is one then there are many and with the size of the one we found you know that it had been there a while. So we didn't even go into the other room we went back to the room packed up our stuff and left. There was no apologies and no consideration for our family. So we will never be staying at this hotel ever again. I find that they should have been able to accommodate us better than just moving us to the next room over on the other side of the wall where we found the cockroach. So very disgusted and saddened by this experience with Best Western as they are one of my favorite hotel accommodations to stay at.

We really enjoyed our stay. My husband and I stayed for the weekend the room was very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed and then some. Hotel staff were all friendly and helpful. Parking was great I always had a place to park all weekend no matter how many times I left and came back. We will be coming back

Awful. Stairs are dark with multiple areas out of camera view. Safe would not even work. Shower drains waaaaay to slow. Neighbors playing loud music. Massive amounts of people in pool with loud kids screaming up until 10 pm. Staff vacuuming hallways at 2 am. Had to get a new room key over 3 times due to the room key randomly just stopping working. No blankets on bed. Leak in the shower head which had no comfortable setting. Rude staff who does not even speak ,say excuse me, nothing. Worst va beach stay ever . Not even worth 50 dollars a night. No wifi that actually works either. Rude Rude management who often just gives you dirty looks. This place could really use a revamping. From the shower fixture to the decor to the staff. Don't waste your money

have travelled all over the world and this hotel takes the cake with horrible service issues and a "general manager' who is never available to handle her culture issue in this hotel. I am not going to go into details on the service breakdowns and interactions with some of the staff, but obviously the "GM" is not interested in handling the situation. This is actually a ZERO star.

I have stayed at 3 hotels in this area on my family trips to magic mountain and this hotel by far was the best. I would definitely recommend to stay at this hotel the entire process was smooth and even the breakfast was amazing. They have Biscuits and gravy come on now lol

Definitely a 5 out of 5 Stars. One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. The room was amazing and very clean. The front desk Staff was super sweet and very welcoming. I will be staying here every time I'm in town!! Thank you for being so nice and professional. The only thing I would recommend is the breakfast to be a little more fresh. The eggs and sausage were really hard. But that's an easy fix. All in all it was GREAT!

My boyfriend and I stayed st SureStay for 4 nights. Room was clean. Staff was friendly. Room was affordable. Had a lovely view of the ocean from the balcony. Next time we return to VA beach we will definitely be staying here again!

Great location- beach front. We got to enjoy sunrise and the breeze while sipping coffee right on the balcony Room size is great. Comfortable to move around. Security- felt secure cause you'll have to use your card key to any of the doors even the one leading to the beach Overall the room is clean. Only thing I didn't like was the sofa. It looked dirty and probably needs to be replaced but that didn't really turn me off cause as I said room is big and have a lot of space to move around. First thing I check when I go in any hotel is if the bathroom and beds are clean. I was very satisfied with both in this hotel as it was both clean. Enjoyed our stay and will stay here again… I recommend this hotel. It was an enjoyable experience.

We stayed the weekend of Fourth of July to visit the amusement park around this hotel. The front desk were very friendly and professional. Rooms are beautifully renovated and upgraded . Due to covid protocol they offer free breakfast with a to go bag . I highly recommend this hotel to all my families and friends. We will definitely come back at this hotel again.

I stayed for about 2 nights to visit Six Flags Magic Mountain and I had a wonderful time at the hotel. As I walked in, I was greeted with bright personalities who were willing to accommodate my last minute changes to the reservation. The rooms were very clean, especially the bed and bathroom. They smell pretty fresh. I appreciated the morning breakfast in the bag, really helpful due to me being on the move and is understandable because of COVID-19. The hotel rooms were also reasonably price. It was a great experience overall, especially thanks to Marge!

My family and I stayed at this hotel June 27-June 30, 2021. My fiance received a text message prior to our arrival asking if we were still planning to come and wishing us safe travels. When we arrived the front desk clerk was friendly and the check in process was seamless. Due to Covid19 there's no room service, but all of our needs were met immediately with a quick visit to the front desk. My fiance was texted several times during our stay asking if we were satisfied and had everything we needed. The hotel is beach front so the view was awesome and the beach was just a short walk away. Our room was on the fourth floor, we had a bedroom with two beds and a couch with a pull out bed. It included a fridge, microwave, coffee pot, and was stocked with dishes, cups, coffee mugs, silverware and pots and pans. When dirty towels were placed outside of rooms, they were picked up in a timely manner and overall the hotel was clean. This is not the Hilton or Ritz so do not expect that. My ONLY complaints are the elevator, it was extremely slow and going up and down four flights of stairs with beach supplies wasn't great. And I did have to wash the dishes before we used them bc they were not clean. Other than that, no complaints! Thank you for GREAT service and friendly, attentive staff!!!

This hotel is so loud that it is hard to sleep at night. You can hear the traffic from Interstate 5 nonstop 24/7 even with rooms that are super far away from the freeway. It seems that the walls are non-existent as the freeway noise is the same inside the hotel room as the parking lot. The old location was much better the new location is now next to the freeway. There was also no breakfast as the Grab and Go Breakfast only came with a Granola Bar, Yogurt, and a pre-packaged cheap pastry. The only drink there was for breakfast was Coffee. The sofa bed mattress was also very springy for a new home. I will not be coming back again.

you will like this property! I am exaggerating but I felt this hotel designer didn't understand the function of a hotel - to soothe, calm , and relax you from the moment you enter until you leave. After driving all day, I felt anything but. Bright blue-white lights everywhere. Staff was nice but disorganized - couldn't even replace a lost door card. I will not stay at this property again.

I stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed my stay. Hotel all new now & loved the contemporary look. Room was big & bathroom was perfect with proper lighting :). Large flat screen TV which I didn't use but would have been perfect to watch a good movie. Due to COVID-19 a bagged breakfast was available with yogurt, fruit, nutrition bar, muffin/danish or bagel, and small OJ. Front desk staff very welcoming & helpful. Great price for a Holiday Inn Express!

Covid-19 has closed everything at the hotel except the front desk. Forget the cooked breakfast, all you get is a bag with items. Hotel is off the free way, so you do hear traffic, so if a light sleeper might have trouble. Parking was very busy, no spaces at one point. Major construction going on, both in hotel and next door.

I been coming to this hotel since last year. Since my first day i been greeted with hellos and bright smiles. Just want to say thank you to Nancy, Karina, and Marge. Y'all are the best!! You will be missed.

Older built, clean, perfect for low key beautiful view of ocean. Easy access to services. Staff friendly, helpful. Convenient. Loved small balcony to watch ocean, enjoy people watching, walkers, skateboarders, and barges.

This was my first time staying at this hotel. The rooms were old which is fine but they were definitely not cleaned properly at all. I had dirt on my ceiling and the floors were very dirty. Worst part was our toilet would not flush right and we called the front desk the girl came handed me a plunger and left. No one ever came to try and fix it we ended up plunging it every time we had to use it! Never in my life have I had such a bad experience there was one nice person that worked there the rest did not care

I booked a room for my husband and daughter who were on road trip to bring her home from college. The staff was very nice and accommodating when I called to make some last minute changes to their reservation. Great customer service!

We attended a team event where they booked us at Holiday Inn Express. I was worried as I have never stayed at a Holiday Inn. Wow was I surprised! Very clean and new looking room. The room was large with two queens, lots of room to walk around and overlooking the pool. We had a microwave and refrigerator. The breakfast was ample with the yummiest cinnamon rolls! Service staff was friendly and attentive. Pool looked amazing but we did not have time to swim. Large tv in room with very comfortable beds. Also the towels were thick and fluffy!

We would definitely stay here again. We check in very late and Brian was very friendly! We were tried from the long drive and he made it a easy and fast check in. The rooms are great.The breakfast was good and they have great hours.
