Best Western Plus Desert Poppy Inn

We haven't stayed at this hotel in a few years. At the last moment, we booked a room here as we traveled through Lancaster. What a pleasant surprise. The owners have done a lot of improvements and updates to the property. It was sparking clean and well laid out. The breakfast area was exceptionally clean. When we checked in, the clerk recognized us for being Diamond Select members and offered a room upgrade. We were very thankful for the gesture and believe me...we will certainly book here again next time we are traveling through the area. In the morning we saw that someone had dumped garbage by the front doors. Within a very few, short minutes the staff was out there cleaning up the area. Everyone showed a real sense of professionalism and pride in where they worked. I was seriously very impressed.

I have stayed at this Best Western many times. Have always had a very good experience. It is a great location for my needs. Great food places within walking distance. Movie theater close by. Freeway access less than a mile. Very friendly staff.

whenever we travel to Lancaster, this is the destination that we choose each time we stay. The staff from check in to check out arches great the breakfast attendant is amazing and the food is always fresh and well stocked. Keep it up we will be back.

The hotel is very clean. We had reservations, so check in was a breeze. The beds are very comfortable. The location was quiet. The breakfast has a large, delicious selection of food, including REAL scrambled eggs.

I stayed at this establishment on both September 22nd through September 24th 2023 as well as September 29th to October 1st 2023. Out of all the establishments I could have picked here in Lancaster I chose this one due to the proximity of it being close to the AV Fairgrounds. I work for a company that was a sponsor at the AV Fairgrounds in the AV Fair. The hotel itself was fine. The Continental breakfast was good, the gym had a nice Bowflex machine. The first weekend I stayed here at this hotel went well. Up until the second weekend that I stayed here when I noticed that the $50 incidental charge they have here at this hotel posted to my account. The first weekend I stayed in a Studio Suite, even though the bed was on one side of the room and the couch was on the other side of the room with a TV on a nightstand in the middle. The TV had a remote control that did not have a guide option to the remote so if you wanted to find your channel you had to go through every channel up and down to find it. The problem with this scenario is that most people don't live in the area in which the hotel is located therefore the cable channels other than the basic ones are all different. I wasn't about to use a remote and scroll through every channel for hours just to find the right TV channel. So I never used the TV. Which is also the reason why I'm writing this review. After learning about the hotel charge of $50 I was told by a representative at the hotel that the reason I was charged was because of a "DISCONNECTED TV". I was like in shock, even the representative was like shocked that they would charge me for a disconnected TV that I DID NOT DISCONNECT when all they have to do is plug it back in. This representative printed me out a slip that shows disconnected TV as the reason behind the $50 charge . I was also told to contact Karla the hotel manager the next morning on the 2nd of Oct. Needless to say, after calling Karla and finding out she was not there, and after speaking to another representative at this point she had told me that a maintenance worker went in the room and saw that the "lock box" on the TV was missing. I said lock box? What is a lockbox? She didn't specify, only to tell me that they normally charge $150 for this and that they're willing to do it for $50. Honestly sounded like a scam. After she told me that, I called Best Western International to file a complaint with their customer service line. As I was waiting to talk to someone through customer service , I realized that this hotel is actually owned by Bain Hospitality and Mehr Consultancy, which is technically through the state of California known as HM, Hospitality Inc. I ended up speaking to a woman by the name of Harmeet Mann-Baines, who I believe is the chief operation officer or chief enforcement officer of this hotel. I explained to her that I had some bogus charge of $50 and if they do it to me they probably do it to everyone else. As a result of saying that she said I was accusing her of doing things that wasn't true in that she would put me on the do not rent list. As I was waiting to hear back from Best Western International, the corporate office, I called back to this hotel and one of the gentleman's with an accent answers the phone and says who is this, as I proceed to tell him who it is they realize it's me, and as I told him it's the guy that will be suing them for $50 he says You must be pretty desperate to have to sue for $50. Makes me wonder if they just think $50 is nothing and they can just steal people's money and it doesn't matter. The hotel I Contacted my bank and ask them to open an investigation into this fraudulent charge, and after talking to Best Western International who also doesn't seem to care anymore than the hotel itself, they sided with the hotel. The hotel is stating that the TV was disconnected and that there was a scratch on the TV. So I told the hotel and Best Western show me a picture of the scratch on the TV and show me a picture of the TV prior to me checking into the room. How can they actually prove that I was the person that did it even though I didn't do nothing.? Obviously this is one way that could show that there are just trying to rip people off if they don't have a picture that could show the TV wasn't scratch before I came in then how can they prove their point.? It's crazy to think that this company thinks I'm just going to let this go . Nah more then likely, I'm going to go to small claims court and sue you guys.

Its a great place to stay i recommended and all employees are great. Breakfast gas great and its nice and clean they have stores and fast food restaurants near.. the few times i been there wqs great..

It's difficult to find a negative about this hotel. Very comfortable beds, very welcoming staff. We had stayed at the Hilton Homewood Suites up the street 2 weeks ago and this hotel is superior by far. Very clean, great coffee and a nice breakfast bar. We enjoyed it so much we're staying again next weekend for an upcoming visit with family in the area.

Newer hotel. right off the interstate. hotel was clean. staff was nice. I loved our room with the living area that was a nice surprise. The automatic coffee machine in the lobby had lots of choices, That was another nice surprise.

Lousy breakfast, lousy coffee. Wine bar in the lobby had NO wine. For the price, you can do better elsewhere. Nice desk clerk and staff tried to be helpful. Average rooms, average price but the facility is not up to par with other similar motels in the area with regard to amenities.

They couldn't get the WiFi to work. The pool was dirty and we were concerned about our safety due to the homelessness of people in the parking lot. The pool wasn't very clean, but the biggest issue was, the internet access failed the entire time we were there. Also, breakfast should go until 10a. This was a vacation destination for us and we slept in. Lastly, the homeless people made us uncomfortable. We realize there is nothing you can do about that in overall area, but we were very concerned about out vehicle.

There was quite a bit of homeless in the area around the hotel not necessarily in the parking lot but mainly the Main Street. There's a Dutch Bros within walking distance as well as an Arco gas station. So I guess that was good. It was very quiet at night though so that was really really good for me as I am a light sleeper. We had a 2 and a 4 year old with us who also enjoyed it and they especially enjoyed the waffles in the morning.

Beds were on the hard side but would stay there again, they had a wonderful breakfast buffet including biscuits, gravy, sausage, scrambled eggs, waffles, oatmeal with selection of toppings, muffins, danishes, cereal and more, coffee and nice selection of juices

Number 1 hotel in av. Karla, letty, Chris & fernando are all outstanding overall. My favorite part is the Best Western rewards promo digital $50 gift card for each two nights. stayed four nights total totally. Rules are max out is two gift cards. a total of two gift cards of $50 gift cards totaling $100.

Work trip very intense days surveying in the desert.... Great to have a quite restful place to end and begin the days. The spa and pool are always a nice thing to relax in after a hard day's work. Will return again.

Great customer service! Breakfast options and area are great! It was clean, noise level to a minimum, my family was well rested. I just wished I would of stayed longer to enjoy the rest of the amenities. My kids enjoyed their stay too.

We had an excellent experience with the high quality service and comfort offered at this hotel. The manager was very courteous and welcoming and provided useful information. The facility was very well maintained and desired amenities were easily available. Very convenient in proximity to good restaurants.

Quiet, clean, like new appearance. Staff very friendly and helpful. Nice to have a complementary glass of wine at the end of a long day. Nice to have a good gym and breakfast to enjoy. I would recommend to family and friends.

Nicely designed rooms, spacious, clean. Decent breakfast included. Helpful staff. Near to fuel, and numerous fast food places. Elevator. Low overstep tub. Elongated toilet, nice amenities. Modern fixtures.

The hotel is close to the freeway, the price is perfect. The rooms are spacious. The breakfast is served with a good time frame. Everything in the breakfast list is great, kid friendly, food and the worker stays on top of the breakfast menu so no waiting for them to refill any food or beverages.

We always stay at this property when visiting Willow Springs Raceway. Nice clean hotel, good sized rooms with very comfortable beds. Quick and easy access to the freeway, but no associated noise. Staff are very helpful. Usually able to check-in and collect key in the morning, so we can go straight to our room late evening, after being at the track all day.

I think a deep cleaning and fumigation are called for at this location. Suffice to say, I say a small arachnid crawling on my bedsheets and it did not inspire confidence. There was a day that I left the please refresh the room sign on the door and received no service, so towels, etc. ran short. It seems like you are running a bit dirty and bit short-staffed.

The Staff was very friendly & helpful, the Hotel and room were clean, breakfast was decent. Internet was weak, kept dropping and at least in my room the AC didn't function correctly. Overall experience was good

There was banging next door and slamming all night long. Then to top it off, the front desk calls ME and woke me up, to ask me to keep it down while I was asleep. I am very very unlikely to stay here again, and I was extremely uncomfortable

First time at this hotel . It is beautiful and clean. The staff was always ready with a smile and a greeting. I liked the multiple TVs in the breakfast area. Maybe I will stay when they have fireworks at the fairgrounds

From the initial phone call and my hesitation in staying here, Javier the manager and his staff were great. He was very patient with me and my many questions. He had sone insight into where one can get sone super, shopping or entertainment.

I'm a night person. I like to sleep until 10 a.m. OK, I stayed here for two nights when the air conditioning at my house went out. When it was time to hit the sack, I closed the light-blocking fabric but it left big gaps. There are drapes also and I tried to close them over the light-blocking fabric. They did not budge. Turns out they're just decorative and not designed to close. Ugh. How do I shut out the light? At home, I had six binder clips I used to tightly close the light-blocking drapes in my bedroom. I got in my car, drove a few miles back home, grabbed the clips and returned to my hotel room. I clamped the two sides of that fabric together using all of them. If you're like me and want to sleep in, hit Staples and buy some. They effectively stopped the light but plenty of it leaked around sides of the window. Nevertheless, it was a lot darker than it would have been otherwise. And come on, don't put up drapes that don't close. Whose brilliant idea was that?

Stayed just one night. Very nice staff member that checked me in. She was also helpful with a couple of questions I asked. Room was clean and well appointed. Shower pressure was good. Hotel was busy but quiet. My only concern was the parking lot had some homeless people living in it and people eating at the next door restaurant were taking up parking spots. Otherwise a great stay.

Very nice hotel and staff; clean and comfortable. Good breakfast selection. Very pleasant staff. Only negative is the pillows are hard as a rock which is why a 4, not a 5, for sleep quality. Room on third floor, very quiet. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend.

People were nice and room was clean . Night clerk could not authorize a late checkout and said I had to go to the front desk at 7 am to ask. When I talked to someone in the morning they said it was the policy at this location. I stay at hotels twice a week for business. I have never been told I could not get a late check out by a staff member.

We stayed here on our way to LA, it was a short but enjoyable stay. Room was nice with a comfy bed and good size bathroom. Breakfast was a plus as dine-in was open. Kids used the pool and hot tub both were clean and enjoyable.

Nice area. Very quite room. Staff was friendly. Can only enter the parking lot if you are driving East or south. In n Out across the street, Wendy's shared the parking lot. Some evenings the Dutch Brothers line made it difficult to get into the parking lot. We would return ~

Was on a week long trip across California. I wanted to see the famous poppies of Lancaster and they didn't disappoint. When it was time get a hotel, BW is always my stop. On this trip I had a lot of luggage that I didn't want to leave in the truck so I was going to take it to my room. The front desk staff offered and helped me take my luggage to my room. They were very helpful.

The hotel smelled great when I walked in. Leticia was very nice and kind when checking in The room was clean and also smelled great. I ordered food to be delivered and they were able to come up to the room which was great. I enjoyed my stay.

Close to fast food restaurants like Wendy's & In-n-out burger. Close to freeway exit. Lots of parking spaces & well- lit. There's hot breakfast starting @ 5 AM. Bed was not so comfy for my liking. All in all, it was a good stay.

Staff knowledgeable, professional and personable. Hotel clean quiet and well stocked. Large well lit parking lot with easy access to hotel entrance. Centrally lcated to restaurants, both indoor dining and fast food. Shopping nearby both grocery and retail stores.

Great best, nice staff. The most amazing coffee machine with espresso!!!! Can get get coffee at any hour needed hot strong and fresh!! It is amazing to have great coffee and good food daily for the early bird workers.

Hotel front desk gave us a room rate while we setup a new corporate rate within a couple days. We agree to current rate, we check in. Shortly after settling in the room I received a call from front desk regretting their rate offer. The next day after returning to the hotel, they locked me out of my room wanting to force me to sign a new higher rate offer. Keep in mind my bank was charged during check in for full week stay. Because they locked me out, I refused to sign. Management directed them to keep me locked out until I sign new higher room rate. I refused and had no choice but to call the sheriff to make them open my room to remove my belongings and take my business else where. They refused to give me a checkout receipt and still have full week payment. Our bank is disputing it for us. Incompetence at its fullest with this hotel. I've never experienced anything similar and hope never to again. Strange way to run a hospitality business. BTW, all of 2nd floor smells of marijuana and smoke but front desk fails to stop it.

Great staff, only problem 4 small square pillows on king size bed. Not what is the standard expected frim a Best Western Plus. Bed firm almost to hard if you like that. Well lit parking. No direct entry to hotel from the street. Have to drive through another parking lot.

I was in Lancaster hospital booked the room through Best Western Rewards, my wife was going to stay three days, and I would be with her of the fourth day, rooms were booked on my card. When my wife arrived they would honor my card even with my ID, explaining I've would staying the fourth night. The office staff were more than rude. Basically forced my wife to drive 60 miles round trip to get cash and put on her card. Do yourself a favor and pass by this place. Over priced, and offered none of the amenities they advertise. In short they SUCK!! Have been a loyal customer of Best Western for 30 years. Oh by the way didn't stay the fourth night after I was discharged from the hospital, went to the Springhill. total disappointment. rude staff, charged a $200 incidental for an incident that never happened in my room, tried to contact and resolve the mistaken issue. no reply after 3 attempts. tried emailing the manager Manny S, Bains, no reply, was charged a total of $412.98 for one night in a budget room, this place is a total fraud and the staff is extremely rude! I would advise staying clear of this place unless you want to get ripped off and treated poorly! I work to hard for my Monet to get treated in this mannor.

I don't know if this is the space for this but I'm going to put it here so it doesn't get overlooked. Upon arrival there was a leak in the lobby coming from the ceiling. A maintenance person who I am told is named Roman was called to address the problem. When he arrived he began swearing dropping the F bomb multiple times. I was very offended by his use of foul language.

I should have listened to the reviews! Hot box is right!! We stayed one night and in the morning we packed up and left to another hotel. Manager Leo, won't refund prepaid second night. Front desk Maria, said room didn't smell. Ok Maria, we just wanted to inconvenience ourselves and pack up all our gear to move it to another hotel.

Read the reviews like I should have. You'll save yourself a whole bunch of grief. We were grossly over charged, The bathroom shower curtain was no good. there was old blood stains on the pillow covers, a beautiful view of the homeless camps out the window. The breakfast bar was dirty with an attendant looking at it while on her phone and then walking away plus the front desk attendants conduct was terrible. Contacted manager next day and he promised someone would be in contact. Reminded him after 2 days and he has yet to respond to me. Never again.

Visited site for a Softball Tournament. Booked one room for two nights Friday 7/9 and Saturday 7/10 for our family and not as a group. We booked two nights not knowing if we needed it. Friday night at 9pm we knew we would not need the second night and the front desk agent told me we could get a refund. I asked what is the latest time I need to let them know and she assured me that I just needed to let them know by 11am on Saturday. Flash forward the next morning and the new front desk morning shift employees and it was the opposite. Maria and another girl were working at the front desk and she was very rude asking me "who did you speak to"? as if i was making it up. I told her the only one working last night. Our fellow group member was able to get their refund because she asked for it Friday night. So disappointing that we were accused of not telling the truth. I told the front desk agents we were leaving and checked out before 11am on Saturday and told them we were not staying our last night. Other issues is that the elevator was broken so we had to use the stairs. The final dagger was being charged $40 extra on our bill that we have no idea why and now need to call back on that. To be fair, the morning breakfast was good, AC was good and location to the stadium was good. Our room backed a vacant lot where homeless people were sleeping in tents. The fence is small so it does not feel incredibly safe if on the ground floor. I think everything would be acceptable given a busy weekend but we needed that one night refund to ever come back again. Especially at that $300 per night price. Nowhere does it say we needed to stay 2 nights minimum when we booked and we were told different.

Upon check-in, the first room we were given had such a strong odor of marijuana that there was no way we could have stayed in there. Throughout the remainder of the visit, the third-floor hallway continuously reeked of marijuana, there was no escaping it! We were told there were only rooms available on the third floor, so we had no other option but to stay. We were also told that there was nothing they could do to enforce the no smoking rules except to charge the person who had evidence in their room an additional fee, and that a smell alone was not evidence. The manager also would not come out and speak with us regarding this, we were told that we would need to email him with our concerns. I'm spite of a central location and beautiful hotel, this visit goes down as the absolute worst hotel experience I've ever had!

This hotel is too expensive for what you get. Staff is rude and incompetent. Management is non existent. Rooms smell like smoke. Pool is tiny and so dirty you can't see anything below the surface. I have reached out to managers multiple times regarding our stay without even a simple acknowledgement of my concerns. Go somewhere else unless you like spending a ton to get treated like dirt.

Wonderful place to stay - close to gas, shopping and eating options. The place was very clean, neat and quiet. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well there. It's too bad the eating area was still closed for Covid, but it is a nice, attractive area.

The maintenance team has a great turnover! We stayed for multiple nights, on the first night the shower had a slow drain, they fixed it immediately. The reservation was made for 2 Queen beds and I was disappointed when we got to the room to find 2 Full beds. The beds were uncomfortable, you could feel the springs in the mattress (& we aren't sensitive sleepers). Overall, the room was clean & the amenities in the room worked (coffee machine, TV, WiFi, etc.) for a quick 1 night trip, I'd recommend but be aware you may not be very well rested. The check in/out process was quick & efficient.

I love staying at hotels for some reason as Im a traveling DJ I love a good night sleep after I'm done. The room I got was a very nice King Suite, very spacious as I need to bring some of my expensive gear with me. The towels are so fluffy even better that a JW M** towel I had in Frisco. WiFi is really good as well as I needed to work on my music the next day. It's nice to see they are on top of the COVID cleaning. The housekeeping ladies are so nice when I walk the hallway. I'm lucky I got a room late at night when I did because the parking was full. I guess the hotel is very popular and now I understand why “it's the best in town”.

Booked my stay online & that was the only positive thing about my experience. It was around 10pm when we checked in & the front desk was pleasant. The room was nothing special at all. Unfortunately the beds are old & worn out. You can feel every spring & bump in the mattress. There were holes in the bedding & they definitely needed to be replaced. The towels felt like sandpaper as if they had been hung out to dry. It sounded like the room next to us were having a party...playing loud music most of the night. If the music wasn't bad enough the room above us were up stomping around too. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND STAYING HERE.

I enjoyed my stay here even though I was here on business. Place looked clean as I approached the parking lot which is a big sign for me because I knew then that I could expect that in the Hotel. I was greeted by the girl with a big smile behind plexiglass and was checked in very quickly. I'm glad to see that they are taking all the COVID-19 precautions. The hallways doors look very home like which made me feel comfortable and the room was very nice for the price. The bed a tub is what I use the room for and let me tell you that I was very impressed. Kudos to Management for running such a nice hotel. I will be back to this establishment on my next trip.

I was required to travel during covid in la county during this pandemic which was terrifying. However the staff was sanitizing every corner of the hotel each time I was out in the hotel. Definitely on top of the cleaning and that's exactly what we need. Keep it up!

How this hotel gets its high marks are beyond me. My son and I stayed here one Sunday night. The parking lot is shared/adjoins an AMPM gas station and convenience store and a Wendy's. Before getting out of the car a mentally ill and presumably homeless man knocked on our window begging for money. When I said no he got upset and I was concerned. Fortunately I can handle myself but I was with my son. The AMPM seems to serve as a base for homeless and drug dealers. This I learned when we attempted to cross the street to In&Out. It was sketchy just crossing the street as you had to walk by the AMPM with a parking lot full of homeless and drug dealers. The hotel lobby looked like a crime scene with yellow tape blocking the what was a lobby sitting room and prior to covid 19 a place to have the free breakfast. No place to sit down while waiting in line to check in. I guest in front of me asked to use bathroom while waiting to check in and the desk clerk said it was closed due to covid. No, closed due to homeless roaming the property. The lobby with the crime tape and plexiglass cage made it look more like a prison than a 160.00 hotel with tax. With all this going 1/3 of the parking lot likes were out! Breakfast was a joke. A 4 oz juice, a spoiled orange and a marshmallow breakfast surger bar. Manager did write and apologized for the poor experience. Other than the breakfast and parking lot lighting this Best Western Manager cant change the location. For 150+ a night there must be a better hotel a long this route.

I booked online for $117. I hoped to arrive around 6pm but after working late didn't arrive until 10:30pm. Around 8:30, I got a phone call while I was fueling. At 9:14 when I saw the voicemail from the hotel we called them back only to be told that our reservation had been cancelled because the card I used to reserve the room didn't authorize. I ended up being charged $189 after given a AAA discount for the same room that had been mine earlier at $117. I find nothing in their policy about what time to arrive before they charge your card but most places I've stayed at it's 9pm. They already had me stripped of my room 30 minutes before that time so they could make more money off the room. I found a black widow on the bathroom wall just above my towels to top it all off. Now I am upset and writing this bad review to try and calm down so I can sleep. The whole reason for booking this room is because I live 5 hours away and have a Dr. Appointment at 8am tomorrow so I should be sleeping right now. This is my 2nd trip down here this month and I didn't plan for this kind of additional expense so now I'll be eating off the dollar menu's. Thanks for nothing!

Very nice and clean atmosphere .given the COVID-19 ISSUES, everything was spotless and.i noticed cleaning going on at all times of the day and night. i have been using this hotel over the past 5 years and always have a wonderful time, and they are very knowledgeable of the area

I was overcharged a few nights and hotel staff didn't adjust my bill until I complained for about a hour and finally a young man working at the front desk seen I was not given my AAA discount and adjusted it. The suite had a order of rotten potatoes I couldn't move rooms because they were booked up, and wasn't offered a discount either. My youngest child got a rash on her back and lower back leg after being there for 4 nights when I complained they told me the hotel owner said I need to leave ASAP and didn't want to reimburse me for the nights I was there.

I travel for work, even during these chaotic times unforntnately. The hotel shows excellent care when it comes to the needed extra sanitization needed. The room felt very clean, also they switched to all white linens which is I beleive is truly needed know more than ever. Will stay again should my work bring me back to the Lancaster Palmdale area again.

As a regular here for about 2 years for business. The hotel has been exceptional with the current Covid-19 ( coronavirus) conditions. The room is still spotless and offers a sense of overall cleanliness. With everything going on its hard to feel comfortable staying at a hotel. They have done a great job making us feel comfortable and safe. Thank you, I highly recommend staying here

When I think of hospitality I think of this well run amazing hotel. From a easy booking experience to very polite and kind customer service I just don't feel like I can except an experience less exciting and fulfilling as this is. If you just need to get some work done with some great food and some peace and quiet this is your place!!!! I will highly recommend this to all my family and friends

I GAVE 1 Because can't give it ZERO. WOMAN Screaming for help next door as a guy or two was beating her and thrown her against wall in between our rooms. Called front desk guy wouldn't help her or call the police. Further more we weren't offered money back, Free night stay which I never stay there ever again, or something off room rate due to not able to go to sleep due to the beating this woman was getting. TERRIBLE isn't even close when you care about your safety or your Family's safety.

Needed a room for a night before the Lance Tour. LA traffic is tough coming from the South. Best Western Desert Poppy Inn was everything we needed for our trip. A clean room and facility with all the right amenities. Can't go wrong here. good people!

Our overnight stay at the Best Western Plus Desert Poppy Inn was comfortable. The room was clean and well sized, bed comfortable, and breakfast cookie cutter good. We will stay here again to break up our drive to visit family.

This is our 3rd time we have stayed here at the Bestwestern in Lancaster. We have been really happy every time we come in. We come for Busniess and always need a early check in they always have something ready for us. Rooms are great and you can't beat the breakfast in the morning. Highly recommend from us!! Barry has been a great help

The best hotel in town and would recommend it to family friendly. The customer service was excellent and staff assured that everyone was accurate. I would definitely stay here again if I'm in the area.

I had two technicians stay at the hotel. I made one reservation, one room, 4 nights and 2 people in the room. I even gave them the names of the technicians. After they checked out I noticed that I was overcharge by the hotel by $552.64. I spoke to the Hotel manager Barry S Bains and he stated he would look into it. He told me that there were three reservations under different names. That was not the case. I have not heard back from this person ans have not been credited any refunds. In fact the reservation I did make was overcharged $149.00 on top of two other reservations I did not make. This hotel or should I say individual is a crook. I have been in contact with Best Western customer service and they cannot do anything. I am now trying to correspond with the CEO of Best Western David Kong. I am a platinum member and this is how I get treated. Please be careful if you use the hotel.

Business related stay for travelling techs so provided hotel with credit card authorization. Subsequently overcharged by staff in excess of $500 for various unauthorized charges. Site manager/owner will not respond to recent messages nor phone calls. When phoning, staff consistently responds that the manager will be at site in a few hours. Issue escalated to corporate level who states that mgr has reported the issue resolved. Do not recommend this facility due to lack of communication and dishonesty.

The person in the room above me must have been under the influence of cocaine or some other illicit drug. They were awake all night long and it sounded like they were rearranging the furniture and sprinting between the bed and their bathroom. As a result, I was not able to sleep at all which was frustrating because I had a long day of driving ahead of me. I told the receptionist and she simply apologized. I was left questioning what exactly it was that I paid for.. I wasn't able to sleep and I left the hotel feeling absolutely terrible due to the guest above me. I thought some type of credit or waiving the hotel fee would've been reasonable since I literally didn't sleep at all. Nothing was offered. Terrible experience, I would not recommend staying here — pay a little bit more, avoid an illicit drug user in the room above you and hopefully you will get some rest.

New and nice, but was a bit irritated after my 10:45 pm arrival to find to-go food containers in the room's trash can and fresh skid-marks on the toilet bowl. Not sure if the room was rented briefly, patron enjoyed and sandwich and a growler, then checked out. Or if the maid had to drop a deuce and forgot to insert the "sanitized for your safety" strip after taking care of business, but regardless, kind of expected a fresh room when I checked in. Bed was made and I didn't feel like going down to the desk to make an issue, but FYI, management.

This was a very pleasant experience, they have a small bar that is only open for a few hours which is perfect. Makes good for a few social drinks and not the obnoxious person at the end of the bar. There is room for a half dozen or so semi parking in the lot.

Great hotel-room very clean, updated; great amenities-breakfast, pool, sauna, fitness room. Breakfast buffet was fresh, had good variety of healthy and 'more indulgent' choices, good hours of operation.

Awesome place. Very family friendly. Great breakfast. Parking is just in front of hotel which is nice. Didn't have to park in back since there is no back of hotel parking. Saw a guy that walked around keeping all trash picked up. Very clean. Will be staying here again real soon.

I had checked in earlier and done up the room for my girlfriend. But i wanted to surprise her. The woman at the front desk played along perfectly. The room was very nice, and breakfast was pretty good.

Hotel is new so everything was neatly and in order. Clean rooms and friendly staff. Check in was very quick and check out was very quick as well. No problems during my stay. I will definitely come back again to this hotel.

After a long vacation and a day on the road home with kids, the Desert Poppy in was relief at first sight. The hotel was clean, the lobby was modern, fresh and very open feeling. We were thinking about what to do about dinner when the friendly front desk woman told us they were serving "snacks" till 7 in the lounge. It actually turned out to be hot dogs, chili, nacho chips with cheese and salsa, and free canned beverages. Nothing fancy, but after a long trip, it counted as dinner for us! I don't know that they do this every night as it is not listed in their amenities,but we sure appreciated not having to figure out dinner and gave the stay extra value. The room was a nice size with a high ceiling (not cramped feeling) and very clean. Nice clean bathroom with a hot shower and nice citrusy toiletries. Comfy beds with soft pillows. The room was quiet and once inside you did not hear neighbors or plumbing noises like some hotels. Breakfsst was fully stocked. Two choices of eggs, hash browns, sausage, regular or strawberry waffle mix, yogurts etc... The woman attending was doing a great job cleaning and stocking and greeted us with a good morning. We came though Lancaster to avoid LA traffic on the way home and so glad we did. We will definitely stay here again next time we are in the area.

If you have to go to Lancaster, CA (I'm sorry) but if you have to go there you will not find a better place to stay than the Best Western Dessert Poppy Inn. The staff there are as courteous and helpful as you will find anywhere. The rooms are great, and quite, I mean you will not hear anything from the hallways or from outside, like the slamming doors that you hear in so many other hotels the Breakfast was actually hot not warm or just cool like so many other places and with a wide variety to choose from. If I'm so unfortunate to have to go back to Lancaster in the future, there is no place else that I would stay.

This Hotel was a real nice surprise! We were just looking for a nice place to stay - and found this nice Hotel. It has clean and nice rooms, breakfast had everything you can imagine, People were friendly, the pool was nice to cool down a bit. This is my mom and I second visit to this hotel! Both times was for our nephew and niece's graduation! The hotel, staff, location, and breakfast was awesome! The room and bathroom was always clean and it was not a hassle to get clean towels.

The Staff Listened and answered any questions we had. Fun with a sense of humor .No time for mgr. reception but we intend to make a return visit. Due to construction, accessibility was difficult. Night personal was very helpful and not bothered by the late check in.We stay at this location when it first opened just a few years ago.

Everything about the hotel exceeded my expectations except for the fact I was double charged at check in. Tried talking to person at reception and was told that the charges would be fixed at check out but otherwise there wasn't anything they could do.

Everything was clean and shiny-new looking. For a stopover, a great location close, but not too close, to the freeway. Shout out to Barry at the front desk during a busy checkin time. We were having an experience akin to the old Jack Lemon movie "The Out of Towners" and Barry went beyond the Call of Duty to help us with the issues. This is the difference between "Accommodations" and "Hospitality". Congratulations to the management of this property for having such a great resource on its team.

Very clean and nice. The hotel is very conveniently situated right off the highway if you are just passing through, although it is a bit of a drive to the main business area of Lancaster. We had an issue with our reservation because we used a third party booking agent, who canceled our reservation without telling us. Jacob, the person on the desk when we tried to check in, was able to get us a great room at a better rate than the reseller. Jacob was friendly, helpful and capable person - thanks Jacob! Full breakfast, very good. They had a good selection to please everyone in our group from the vegetarians, meatatarians and picky kids! Rooms were clean, average size and most importantly the beds were comfortable. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a clean, decent place to stay.

I had to shutdown in Lancaster one night due to aircraft electrical issues. I called this hotel looking for something close to William J. Fox Airport. The price quoted was reasonable and the young lady on the phone quickly got me my room booked right there. Check in 25 minutes later was efficient and I was in my room getting sleep for the next day.

On an earlier visit to Antelope Valley tayed at a different BW 2 years ago, stayed here last September on another trip and really enjoyed the one night stay. Wanted to visit Antelope Valley poppy fields again this yea so decided to stay here. It was another great experience.

We stayed here while in the area to visit the Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve. It was convenient and perfect for our needs. Comments: Choose a room on the 1st floor for convenience to lobby (getting coffee from the breakfast area in the morning!) or 2nd or 3rd floor for more privacy if you want to leave the window curtains open.

I have nothing bad to say about this Best Western. The service was impeccable. The room was almost brand new and completely clean. The breakfast was superb. It was one of the best hotels I've stayed at. They really do a great job of holding the "Best" in Best Western. I had an unexpected trip to Lancaster and this was a wonderful stop in a mostly forgettable trip. If by some chance I ever find myself in this area, I won't hesitate to book with this hotel. Truly a diamond in the literal rough.

The hotel was clean, the room was comfortable and quiet. We stayed one night during a trip to Antelope Valley Poppy Reserve. The bed was comfortable and we did not hear any freeway noise. The breakfast selection was complete with eggs, hash browns, waffle, omelette, baked goods, yogurt, fresh fruit but the quality and taste needs to be improved.

I stayed 3 nights while in Lancaster for the Super Bloom! It's only 20 minutes from the spectacular Poppy Reserve. And convenient to the freeway (which unfortunately makes it a bit noisy) and grocery stores, gas stations, and other activities. Staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast was disappointing, like most hotel breakfasts. Not enough healthy options, but at least there were scrambled eggs.

This motel is great. The location is great. Near the freeway, restaurants, grocery store, convenience store and movie theater. We've stayed here several times and the staff has always been professional, friendly and welcoming. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfast is pretty good with options of scrambled eggs, hash browns, sausage, waffles, oatmeal, fruit, toast, yogurt. I would seriously recommend this motel to anyone who needs a place to stay in the area.

Great room and breakfast. Location -- right off the 14 Freeway, walking distance to Wendy's, across the street from In & Out or Panda Express, a block from a supermarket, down the street from Mexican restaurant or fast food.

We wanted a clean reliable place to stay between two long driving days, and this worked well. Everything was clean and pretty new. Breakfast buffet was acceptable. Beds and bedding were comfortable. The only negative note was that the desk clerk said they were running short of keycards, and so only gave us one. Plus, he only had a bit of change for the laundry machines, so we went searching for more around the local area, which turned out to be sketchy. Of course the neighborhood is not the fault of the hotel, but it does color my inclination to return here.

Very clean (spotless)! New towels (very important-most of the hotels have old towels) 100% non-smoking hotel - can breathe fresh airl. Very quiet and safe living environment. The employees are very professional, communicative and friendly.

The staff at the hotel were polite and very helpful with things to do in the area. They recommended some places to eat and even gave us directions to the museum and the movies. Rooms were very nice and also quiet. Great bang for your buck! Getting in and out of the property wasn't super easy but was fine once you figured it out.

Great basic lodging with nice, clean rooms and a good breakfast buffet. Just off the freeway. Easy and plentiful parking. Fast food and gas are immediately adjacent, and other stores, shops, restaurants are across the street. Not far from the interesting downtown of Lancaster.

The hotel is new.The room and bathroom were very clean. The refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker are real bonuses.The variety of food for breakfast was very welcome. The check-in person was friendly. The hotel being very close to the freeway, made it very easy to arrive and depart without encountering city traffic. Its also close to gas station and fast food places. For the price, location and neatness, I will not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Lancaster,CA.

The hotel and staff were amazing and very accommodating. The breakfast area was on point and offered many choices and was very clean. One of the best Best Westerns we have stayed at. The rooms were very clean and beds were very comfortable. We will stay here again! Staff was very friendly and greeted you.

We stayed over the weekend and a group of bikers were also staying in the hotel. The bikers were revving their engines and riding their bikes in the parking lot from around 9:30pm until 11:30pm and again from 1:00am until 4:30am. The front desk did nothing to stop this, we asked 2x and even went down to the front desk. We asked for a manger and of course there was no manager. We are still waiting on a call from the manager. The rooms are clean but if you are looking for a peaceful quiet night go elsewhere. The front desk will not do anything about noise.

We are very happy we stayed here. Our room was clean and comfortable. The air conditioning actually worked as it should. Breakfast was typical hotel stuff but was in a clean and comfortable. The hotel was clean too. A real nice place to stay.

I stop in Lancaster Ca 1 time every quarter. This has become my go to hotel. I've stayed at basically all the hotels in the area. The front desk team always recognizes my membership status and upgrades when I come into town. Room is always clean and spotless. Breakfast nice and early so I can actually catch it and leave unlike the other hotels in town.

Lovely accommodations, everything was nice and clean, etc. But.... I mistakenly left my dress attire I had been wearing for the wedding I came into town for in the closet I know for a 100% fact that I had left in the room when checking out. I called when I got home to see if they had been turned into Lost and Found, which they hadn't. Now 1 of 3 things may have happened. 1. They didn't check. 2. They were thrown away. 3. and the what I fear may have happened was they were taken out, and not turned in. I say this only for I have worked in the hospitality industry for 5 plus years before and have seen all of these things happen. I don't write reviews often, but I can't seem to let this go. It wasn't like was a pair of socks, or something. I was a nice outfit that I loved and can't be replaced. It's unfortunate this has happened. Thanks!

Newer hotel. Right off the freeway and easy to find. Plenty of free parking. Friendly staff. Decent free breakfast. Nice rooms. Probably professional guests during the week, but be aware of the weekend clientele, as there is a state prison just down the road. Would stay again if I was in the area.

I was able to find and check into the hotel quickly. It took me less than 10 minutes to get checked in and up to my room. The king bed has a nice desk and lounging chair as well. I forgot my toiletries bag at the hotel and I called them the next day, and they were extremely helpful with sending it back to me.

Seems like a new property. Very fresh and clean, nicely decorated. Quick access off Hwy14. Smaller pool area with no shade and only one umbrella. Breakfast food area not as "tidy" as I have experienced at other Best Westerns. Maybe short staffed that day.

I had reservations at a nearby hotel. Once checked in at that facility, I discovered the Air Conditioner did not work. That hotel refused to give me a different room (I suspect due to the fact that I was in a discounted room as a federal employee. Best Western had a room, allowed me to check in immediately, after waiting all day long for Hilton to clear rooms for myself and fellow travelers. My stay was very comfortable. I will definitely look for more Best Western hotels in the future.

I like to stay at this Best Western. This time I was driving from the San Francisco Bay Area to Las Vegas. Its a very pleasant place to stay for the night. I got my favorite room this time. Its a suite room. There is a large room with desk, couch, bar area, microwave, refrigerator. Then there is a separate room for the king size bed I slept so good. it was just perfect. In the evening Monday- Thursday there is happy hour, I enjoyed a glass of wine while watching the Warrior NFL Basketball Finals. In the morning I enjoyed breakfast. Staff is super nice here. In addition, its close to lots of things to do such as my favorite drive - The Musical Road. Then there is the close by minor league baseball park, There are good movie theaters There are places to dine. And its a short drive to The Blvd area in Lancaster - a fun stret to go to movies, theater, museums, cafes, restaurants, and to see the murals There are numerous parks to visit as well.

We stayed here to be with our son's baseball team for their college playoffs! WOW! Our room was amazing, high ceilings, at least on the first floor, beautiful appointments in the room, with lots of space, and really spacious and first-class bathrooms. Breakfast great, and, the service, well, as my sons would say, it's LIT!!! Martina was so accommodating and pleasant taking great care of us! Would TOTALLY RECOMMEND if your'e even close to the Lancaster, CA area! Truly a special place, and hope we can stay there on future travels!!!

We Had Such A Pleasant Night Of Sleep! We we're In Town As Venders At The 2018 Poppy Fest We Have Been Truly Blessed Staying At The Best Western Plus I Will Definally Stay There Again & Would Always Recommend People To Give it A Try. REAL TALK !

Access: When we arrived, we did not see any sign that said “Desert Poppy Inn” anywhere, just “Best Western”. Check-in was friendly, and we appreciated the WIFI password written in fat purple marker on the wee envelope the card keys came in. Card keys work by holding them up to the reader on the door. No sticking a card in a slot in multiple orientations to get the door to open. No views. Next to freeway. Snacks & Breakfast: The room had a microwave and a minifridge (instead of a glorified cooler as some 4 star properties are now providing with a straight face)). During check in I noted a room off the lobby that had snack products on display. I fetched a microwave popcorn pouch (only a buck) and used the microwave in our room to pop it. Not a gourmet experience, but it hit the spot and held us over until our dinner reservation. The free breakfast was ergonomically well-laid out as well as tasty. Choices included oatmeal with many toppings, 3 kinds of cold cereal, 3 kinds of fresh fruit, many yogurt flavors, cranberry juice as well as OJ and apple juice, coffee & tea, 2 wafflemakers, scrambled and boiled eggs and bacon. Pastries and bread items were sized to reduce guilt. Some may not want an entire bagel, for example, so the pre-slit mini-bagels and the effective toaster (many disappoint nowadays) were appreciated. The chafing dishes in which the scrambled eggs and bacon were served had a feature that reduced mess and made them easier to use. They had hinged lids that stayed up when lifted. No holding a dripping lid aloft with one hand, spooning what you want with a second hand and holding a plate close enough to catch errant bits with one's third hand. Bathroom: Plenty of counter space and light! No balancing toiletries on edges. No wondering if the inability to see how much makeup is being applied has resulted in a finished face more appropriate to the clowning profession. The tub drain ran w/o backing up. Bed, TV, WIFI, carpets: The king bed was comfy. TV and WIFI were easy to use and reliable. The carpets in the halls had a fetching design with 3 infinite stems of buds that ran parallel to the halls on a field of geometric shapes. Sounds jarring but it totally worked. Room carpet new. Everything seemed clean. Elevators: There is only one, and it was slow enough to cause us to switch to the stairs for our third floor room. It made more groaning and squeaking noises than a freight elevator (and I've operated my share). The staircases are at the ends of the building, but I think they were faster overall. At least it felt that way. Price: With the included breakfast for 2, the room price was a good value. We saw a couple of reviews that indicated the price went up between booking and check in, so we printed out our booking and brought it just in case. Lancaster does not have a rep as tourist destination but we found many murals, a fetching downtown, people who say hello to tourists, good espresso (e.g. Liquid Bean not only served smooth coffee fast, but did so in a charming manner) and an art museum.

This is a fairly new hotel and it shows. Rooms are spacious, modern, and spotlessly clean. Although it is located close to highway 14, it was very quiet. The staff was really nice and I received an upgrade to a beautiful suite. Breakfast was very good and they also have a "social hour" with snacks and non-alcoholic beverages in the late afternoon. My only regret was that there were no poppies at the Reserve but of course that's not the hotel's fault. I'll just have to come back someday!

The hotel was in a nice location. Looked nice from the out side. When you step in the hotel it looks really nice. The staff was friendly and very helpful. When we open the door to are room it was big and very well laid out. Really like the room. Did use the pool and spa pool, the pools where nice, but the area around the pools was small, still nice. Yes I would use this hotel again, nice place.

Felt like I was in a brand new hotel that had only a few days in business. Everything was spotless, and inviting. The front desk employees were friendly, and well groomed. I loved the modern decor of the rooms and colors of the room which complements the Desert Poppy name. I was especially pleased that every amenity in the room was in its place. It's all in the details!

Great place to stay, especially after a long drive. The room was clean and quiet, just what you would expect from a Best Western Plus. We only stayed overnight, so we didn't take advantage of any amenities aside from the breakfast.

This hotel is the best in the AV. I stay at this hotel whenever work takes me to this town. In-n-Out Burgers right across the street makes it even that much more enjoyable. Jennifer & Mel were excellent guest service agents who went above and beyond to assist guests.

Shawn at the front desk was amazing! She was kind and helpful and very professional! She greeted us and treated us with respect! She would be recognized for that we have encountered 3 other front desk clerks. None as bubbly and friendly as Shawn. Our rooms where super clean!! And it was quiet and relaxing.

We were doing a course at willow springs raceway for 3 days and we stayed here for 4 nights. It was a very comfortable room, lots of space, quiet, had a great breakfast and they even offered free snacks and drinks in the afternoon. The staff were friendly and helpful. I worked out a couple of times in the gym and we did laundry as well. Lots of restaurants nearby, very close to everything. I only wish they were pet friendly, but I would definitely recommend staying here.

I have spent overnights at other Best Westerns and this event met the standards I expected, Staff was helpful and friendly. I just wish breakfast would be available until 10:00 on weekdays for those of us who would prefer to sleep in a bit and still enjoy the free breakfast. Would definitely stay at Best Western Hotels in the future.

This is a very nice property in Lancaster, Ca. Check in experience was very pleasant, Desk clerk was very pleasant and helpful. Room was very new and comfortable.Beds and pillows were clean and cozy. Breakfast was great and the hostess was very efficient.

This is a newer hotel. It is easy to find, right off of the freeway. Check in was a breeze, with friendly, helpful counter staff. The place is clean and fresh. The staff is very helpful. The rooms are very nice and spacious. The hot breakfast is well stocked.

Super friendly staff, clean rooms, effortless check in and out, always parking available. I'd recommend staying here for sure. Although the fitness center was a bit small, at least there was one available.

Even though we experienced a hiccup in the registration process where I thought central reservations had booked me a fully accessible room, it turns out the room was accessible to get into, but not the shower and toilet. Shawn, the evening clerk made sure were satisfied and let me look at the room prior to final check in. The property is clean, comfortable, and workable for us needing accessibility. Breakfast was good and presentable. I will stay here again, but I'll insist on a fully accessible room from the front dest, not reservation central.

We enjoyed this new hotel at the north end of the Antelope Valley - it's a convenient location for us with an excellent price, AND everything is brand new! Bonus!! Service was good, breakfast was nice, everything was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the wifi worked - nothing to complain about. I can say that I LOVED the shower and the shower amenities, which is very unusual at this price point!!

This Best Western location is without a doubt the best Best Western that we have stayed at, it has been immaculate every time we have stayed there. It was my first time in Landcaster California and I loved my stay thanks to the Best Western Plus! The place was Immaculate and the service was excellent. Upon exiting Sean, the receptionist upfront went above and beyond to encourage me through a very difficult situation that I had walked through the night before with now an ex-boyfriend!! Her kind words and compassion will always be remembered! Because of the service and treatment that I received I will be returning to the Best Western Plus Desert Poppy Inn, Landcaster SoCal!!!

The stay here was comfortable and the hotel was clean with a nice hot breakfast in the morning with a very well taken care of selection. If you have to stay in Lancaster, this would be the place to stay.

We recently stayed at this hotel and would recommend this one to anyone traveling. The staff was efficient, friendly and very helpful. Shawn went out of her way to take care of us and we really appreciate it. The room was quiet and clean, the cleaning staff was amazing, and the workers for the breakfast were on top of things. Stayed at this hotel for one night. It was very nice. There was plenty of parking, the lobby was nice and clean, the rooms were spacious, clean and smelled like fresh laundry. Shawn at the front desk was wonderful. She was friendly, informative about kid friendly dining in the area, and was so sweet to our 3 month old baby. She even remembered his name the next morning we were checking out. Don't know if ill be in this area again, but if I was I'd definitely stay here again. Oh, free continental breakfast was really good too.

Very clean rooms and quality. Used second floor and had great water pressure. Service help went out of their way to be helpful. Conference room was available and used. Parking lot was large enough for large pickups with trailers. Access from Hwy 14 is very easy and yes the Hotel is visible from the Hwy. However access off the street was a bit difficult from the east.

The hotel rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated. Each morning started with a full breakfast bar and the evening ended with a nice drink at the bar. The front desk associate, Shawn, was extremely helpful and very upbeat.

This hotel has met and exceeded my expectations while on my business trips to Lancaster. Rooms are spacious and clean. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Huge rooms. Friendly staff. The breakfast was delicious and up kept with the refills. Loved that there was a laundry room where we were able to wash our daughter's uniform for her games that weekend. Wonderful experience.

We have stayed here several times while coming often to this area. Each stay has presented with one major concern that is remedied during the next stay. The rooms are nice and now very clean. The breakfast is very good but is completely put away a few minutes before they state they close....start putting food away early. This stay got lower rating due to rude maid barging in room after waking and terrifying our special needs baby. Night clerk is the reason we continue to return....awesome awesome awesome! Don't like them advertising one price on their website but pay higher when you get there!!!

My husband, daughter and I stayed in the hotel while attending a baby shower for a family member from the Lancaster area. Unfortunately, housekeeping failed to make up our room after the first night's stay. I mentioned this to the housekeeper the next day when I saw her in the hallway and she apologized saying she would let the front desk know and that it should not have happened. At check-out I asked for a discount on my room. The clerk did not seem to have heard anything from housekeeping and immediately asked if I had placed a Do Not Disturb sign on my door. I answered honestly that we did place one on the door from 8:30 - 10:30 AM while we were getting breakfast and getting dressed, but removed it when we left the room. She then told me that she did not have the power to discount the room and I should contact the manager next week when he was in. I followed up with manager by email who offered me 700 rewards points in a program I am not enrolled in and noted that I had placed a "do not disturb" sign on my door again implying that it was my fault the room was not made up. I responded via email that I had done so but removed it when we left at 10:30. I never received any response after that. I am not typically a complainer and I was very offended at the way in which both the desk clerk and manager immediately implied that it was my fault and that I was lying about it. While I commend their loyalty to their staff, obviously mistakes do happen. I have never had an issue at any other hotel when I took off a do not disturb sign before noon. I think my request for 50% off one night's stay was a reasonable request. Not even receiving a sincere apology or response to my request added insult to injury. I will not stay here for future visits and do not recommend others do either. Who knows....next time they might accuse me of stealing bath towels!

Very good stay in Lancaster, CA for business. Breakfast and happy hour snacks were available, as well as restaurants within walking distance. Hotel rooms were comfortable with nicely made beds and cleanliness of rooms.

We've stayed here every year for the last 3 years while visting with family in the area only place we prefer to stay, all of the staff are very helpful and friendly the only reason to stay anywhere else would be we didn't book in time.

Mel and Jack are great the rooms are huge I love looking at the view out of the 3rd floor there's also a lot of parking the breakfast is really great I love the bacon and eggs and the hot sauce I also like the gym that you guys have its 24 hours

Bed was like a rock and breakfasts were as expected. Take my word, you'd be better off going across the street to Starbucks . The area is t some place you want to walk around at night, maybe not even during the day in some areas near by

The Dessert Puppy was a great hotel located in Lancaster, Califonia. It is a new hotel with free breakfast and two drinks after 5:P.M. I would love to stay again at this location.The breakfast was more than continental breakfast and it was better than Danny's or any other restaurant.

Besides the minor detail that you're in Lancaster... this hotel is awesome! The room was super spacious, which was great for our 1.5 yr old to play around in and for her pack n' play set up... I'm not sure how full the hotel was during our stay, but our room was gloriously quiet (which I find rare at hotels) besides some traffic noise... also loved the breakfast spread that's included.

I have stayed in this location yearly for the last 3 years. Always greeted with a smile. Room is clean, neat, and quiet. Happy Hour? Yes, please. Thank you. Breakfast? Never turn that down. A great way to start the day. I will be back.

Pros: Clean, comfortable bed, friendly staff, great breakfast buffet, good location right off the freeway. Cons: Elevator was out of order one day but was quickly fixed. The walls and ceiling are a bit thin, we could hear the goings on around us quite a bit. We communicated in advance an extremely late arrival time of 2:00 AM. Actual arrival was 2:40 AM. We walked in the door exhausted. The night desk attendant was cheerful. He called out our last name as we walked through the door, had us quickly initial the check in form, handed us our keys and said have a good sleep. Less than a minute check in at that hour with a child was so much appreciated. I awoke then next morning to grab breakfast for the family before service closed at 10. When the breakfast staff heard what I was doing they quickly got me a tray for carrying and offered any assistance they could. Very happy with our stay and will stay again.

This is a new hotel in Lancaster, CA. The hotel was a delight. The facilities were wonderful, from the pool to the exercise room. Breakfast was incredible and staff members were polite, professional and very helpful. We will stay again next time we are in the area.

We love it here at the Best Western Plus Desert Poppy Inn, Lancaster. The staff is kind and considerate. It is very close to everything we need. It is quite and the pool is not over crowded. Its just a really nice place to be. And our family can come visit us here.

King room are nicely sized with space to walk around in. Bed are comfortable with lots of pillows. Bathroom Showers have great water pressure. Front Desk Staff are excellent seamless check-in process and always glad to see you. The breakfast is also very good with a lot of option and really good coffee. I will continue to stay here when I can. Thank You Best Western for having us.

The hotel was fine but I never got a password for the internet and the breakfast items were old and stale. The fruit was old too, as a result we went elsewhere to purchase breakfast. I have never experienced this at a best western.

We were not expecting to stay the night in Lancaster but we saw this hotel near our destination and walked in to see if they had any reasonable priced rooms. Front desk was very helpful and tried to find us a great rate. Large elevator, clean lobby and an even nicer room. Comfortable beds, clean bathrooms, and a lot of amenities (refrigerator, microwave, hairdryer, etc). We will definitely be back. We didn't get to use the pool or fitness room but it does appear to be nice and clean.

We have stayed here before while traveling through the AV. Very nice room and the desk staff was friendly and efficient. The buffet breakfast was quite good and the lady in charge was very helpful and kept the area spotless. Actually one of the best hotel buffet breakfasts we have had in a long while.

This is a newer hotel. Hotel was very clean. They offer a guest laundry. All soap and laundry products sold at front desk. Easy access to hotel wifi, conveniently located around many things. Many food outlet nearby. They offer a nice full breakfast daily.

Stayed in this hotel for 2 nights, first night booked through a 3rd party website, second night booked directly through the hotel. Front desk staff are friendly and accomodating, did not have any issues with checking in/out. Since this hotel is new, the room we stayed in was very clean, airconditioner worked great (High Desert temperature can be extreme around this time of the year), bathroom was very clean and beds are both comfy. Breakfast was included both days which was a nice addition, decent selection for continental breakfast. The only downside is that the parking lot entrance can be a bit tricky. I live locally but still had to go around and take another street (Valley Central Way to Ave I) as you cannot make a left on Ave I and from 20th St West. Overall a great hotel, highly recommended!

My daughter, grandson, and I headed to Lancaster for the super bloom. This was a great home base for all we wanted to see. The hotel was very clean and in great condition. The staff was extremely friendly and went out of their way to make our stay great. The only problem I saw was it looked like some outside managers were training the staff on some new breakfast buffet items. They were very negative with the staff in front of the guests. Nothing against the hotel, just the people training them.

This is by far the best hotel we've stayed in while traveling hands down. Room was clean, smelled fresh, comfortable, staff was wonderful and so sweet and kind. Breakfast was always tasty and delish! The pool was clean and refreshing and the hot tub was warm and comfortable after a hard day's traveling.

Went to soccer tournament nice that we had breakfast included for the girls to eat before their games not having to rush to get breakfast! That was nice. Business center was nice I was able to catch on up on e-mails. The staff was very helpful and attentive. Rooms were very clean.

Newer hotel; only 2 yrs open. It was very clean and comfortable. All the staff were nice and attentive. They are currently adding a bar service for they're happy hour nights Mon-Thur. which included a light snack and either wine, beer or soda. The pool is hiding in the back of the property and it's small but still adequate.

This is an elegant place, I enjoyed my stay.When we were tired it was relaxing to come and rest. The heat was over 100 degrees but you didn't feel it when you were resting. It is good to have a fresh cup of coffee ready for you and a bagel if you were hungry. We were there for a softball tournament.

Fairly new hotel. Clean comfortable and good hot breakfast and evening snack and adult beverages. Direct TV with plenty of channels. Not noisy at all. The staff was friendly and professional. I would recommend this hotel to everyone!

Our check in and check out experience was very smooth and swift. Staff are always courteous and professional! A great stay for a very reasonable price. The location is also great, near gas stations, fast foods and restaurants and grocery.

This hotel is located right off the highway and has a lot of food options within about 1mile radius. The hotel was recently built so the interior is really nice. The wifi here is great. Their high speed is actually high speed. The breakfast is just like every other best western, nothing special. They do have a happy hour from 5pm-7pm were you can go down stairs and they provide you to 2 free drinks soda/beer/wine. That's kinda nice. Get to socialize with the other guests. The rooms are nice, no complaints here. I usually stay here when I travel to this area for work.

We stayed here for a conference and was very enjoyable. I hit the pool which was very refreshing. Overall a great place to stay. The breakfast is the normal flair but there is a great burger place just across the street for night munchies

I travel a lot and I usually only stay at Hiltons, but I couldn't get a room so I went to the Best Western Plus and it was amazing. The front desk staff is awesome and I think will be trying BW Plus brands over Hilton now. I paid close to $200 on a busy night and it was well worth it. Shout out to Mel and Shawn.

I oftentimes stay at BW motels, so I assumed that I would get a find a good room at a decent price. What I found at Best Western Plus Desert Poppy Inn was more than I expected. Everything was so clean and fresh. The staff was courteous and helpful. The room was extremely comfortable.

I'm sold on Best Western Plus hotels. This is nice new facility with large, comfortable rooms with all the amenities and friendly, helpful staff. Good WiFi and a decent breakfast. It's close to the freeway without being too close so noise is not a problem. There's a large strip mall about a block away. Not much else to say but that it's highly recommended.

My husband and I stayed here on two separate occasions. Both stays were very different. Our first stay in April was wonderful. We were working an event and found it easier to stay the two nights instead of driving from LA every morning. The staff was nice, the bed was so comfortable, breakfast was delicious. We couldn't wait for our next stay here. It was flawless! We had another event we were working and decided to treat ourselves instead of having to drive home and back up in the morning, we love our sleep. Our second stay started alright. The lady at the front was very nice and we were happy to get to our room. At about 11:30PM it sounded like people were running around and wrestling in the room directly above us. We gave it a little time and when it didn't stop my husband called the front desk. A gentleman picked up and told us that they just checked in and to allow some time for them to settle in. He was informed that this was not normal "settling in" noise and they were keeping us from sleeping. He told us that he would give them a call and ask them to keep it down. The noise never stopped and even got worse, now there was yelling and shouting (sounded like kids). My husband had enough, he got out of bed, dressed, and walked to the front counter to talk to the gentleman personally about the issue (since calling him didn't seem to help). Same reply, he would call the room and ask them to quiet down. The noise lasted until just after 1:00AM. On top of this, the air conditioner couldn't keep up with the temperate in the room and I ended up hot and cold all night long. I would wake up and either put on or have to kick off the blankets. We got maybe only a few hours sleep. Breakfast was good in the morning, We can certainly tell which family kept us up last night. Their kids were running around and yelling, but the parents didn't seem to care as they were on their cell phones (and they had them on speaker!). I was glad when they left. We went back to our room and tried taking a nap before check-out, but that was a big failure. At check-out we were asked how our night was. Well, we told her everything. She apologized that we didn't get a good sleep and asked if we were offered a room change during the incident. We told her that we were not. She shrugged it off and asked us if we would like a receipt. We said yes and she handed it to us and told us to come back and stay with them sometime again. We don't think we'll ever stay here again. We were surprised that we weren't offered any discount off our bill or an complimentary night or something for their inability to control the noisy guests above us.

Picked a hotel convenient to watching the NBA Championship game. BW was easy access from freeway, and had good reviews. Fairly new hotel, nice staff, very attendant staff in breakfast room, and well appointed rooms.

Surprisingly exceedingly nice for what I thought. Don't stay with best Western but might have to re think that after this stay. The hotel itself was very nicely designed, the breakfast was very nice and it was free. Although in LA County the hotel and surrounding areas felt very safe. Also across the street from the hotel was Starbucks. Would stay again if I had to come back to Lancaster or Palmdale.

Did not plan on staying in Lancaster, but was too tired to keep driving. Nice little hotel very safe comfy and room was spotless, also no harsh chemicals. Which is a must for me when staying at a hotel.

Best kept secret in the Antelope Valley. Clean establishment personal employees and easy travel in and out! I highly recommend it for family and friends the only issue I had was the toilet was clogged but fixed!!!!!

Hotel was very clean and spacious, large parking for our 4X4 Dodge Ram and cargo trailer. Lobby was nice and grand, breakfast was overwhelming many options, all types of food and non-dairy milk. This is why i love Best Western, looking out for us lactose and tolerant guests. Plus amazing bed!

Hotel was clean, well located, had a great service ethic, the breakfast was tasty and the internet more than fast enough. A great value. The lication was very convenient to the Lancaster Jethawks minor league baseball stadium.

We arrived late on a Thursday night. The hotel was not busy so parking was a breeze, as was check-in. This is a new property, so we found everything clean and in good order. The bed was comfortable; but the pillows, well not so much. For some reason they are small, and not full size - this was our biggest gripe! The 5 small pillows on the King size bed were not enough. The breakfast was pretty typical - premade plain omelets, scrambled eggs, sausage, waffle maker, etc Check-out left us with a bad taste. There was one employee at the counter; she was busy with another guest that was clearly in no hurry as he tried to evaluate his options regarding an upcoming reservation, and had no regard for the fact that there were others at the counter . We stood and waited a few minutes; before finally being acknowledged by the employee with the usual "I'll be right with you". I said we were just checking out, and we are fine with an electronic receipt, as such we left the card key (in the sleeve with our room number clearly indicated) on the counter and departed. We have yet to receive our electronic receipt. This seems to be a common problem with other Best Western properties we have stayed at.

My boyfriend and I were visiting Lancaster for the weekend and needed a place to stay. The hotel itself was modern and clean, and our room was incredibly well-kept and spacious. The hotel exceeded our expectations. Best-looking Best Western we have ever seen, I mean it really was head-over-heels superior than the other ones. The continental breakfast was amazing as well, with various different options including those for healthy breakfasts! Staff was super friendly, especially Shawn who worked at the front desk. I would recommend to all friends and family. Definitely will be back for another trip!

We stayed again at the Best Western Lancaster. This time we were there mid week so they have a social reception in the evening. The wine and tortilla chips with chili and cheese were very good. The staff member who does the social hour is "My Hotel Employee of the Year". She is amazing! and so friendly and nice. After driving many ours in the car, this made for a great first couple of hours at the hotel. We then enjoyed the swimming pool. The location of the hotel is very close to the freeway. If you drive north two exits, you will be on my favorite Road in the US - the Musical Highway. its a short distance but its a must go to for me each time in Lancaster. There is a minor league baseball park, huge movie theater (with good food) and several places to dine within a couple of minutes drive of the Best Western. There is also a gas station adjacent which makes it perfect to fill up on gas for the drive the next day. In terms of the room, since its a newer Best Western, its a great stay. The king size bed was very comfortable. The chair, desk and TV are all nice. There is a coffee making area, refrigerator and microwave. Bathroom is nice. Best Western has an elevator. We liked the breakfast too in the very cheerful area. Good variety of breakfast items from cereal to scrambled eggs to make your own waffles, juice, coffee, and variety of sides. The entire staff is wonderful. Housekeepers do a fantastic job. The hotel services both business and leisure travel and it works wells for both. Its a great place to stay.

The entire facility was always very clean and the Staff was fantastic. Breakfast varied from day to day, but was consistently delicious every day. I throughly enjoyed my stay. It was even warm enough to use the pool.

We stayed one night. The hotel in it self was great. We didn't encounter any issues whatsoever. It was as close as we could get to Edwards Air Force base. There were food locations within a rock throw.

Decided to pull into the Lancaster area as a last minute stop inbetween our road trip. We had time to kill and the staff recommended to us to visit the California Poppy Reserve near the Best Western Hotel. Wow, amazing place, first of all, it was free, which is great already. But its acres and acres of poppys everywhere. Amazing sight, definitely something to see if you are ever in the area. Glad to see the county taking care of the area so well. As for the hotel, very nice hotel, i believe its brand new, you can definitely tell. Room was very spacious, breakfast was amazing, bacon, eggs and danishes, my favs. All in all excellent stay out of what was just a place to rest after a long drive.

I can't say enough good things about my stay here. The staff was amazing. The hotel was very clean. My room was very comfortable and the service at breakfast was over the top. The breakfast service people would always ask if I needed anything else and if they could dispose of my dirty plates once I was done with them.

Clean hotel, looks fairly brand new. Enjoyed the free wine at the reception. The room itself was very large and spacious. Much bigger than expected being that i travel with Best Western rewards, its something about all the newly built best western hotels that make them so much bigger than all the others. For some people including me, lower ceilings make me feel claustrophobic, i appreciate hotels like this where they increase the height for the ceilings. I will be back, i come for business in the area every so often.

On a late arriving flight to LAX and with 300 miles to drive to home, this property was great to get caught up on sleep after flying 17+ hours. Bed was great and the overall experience was good. Easy off-on freeway access.

I don't usually stay at Best Western hotels, since I haven't been too impressed with them. However, after having read the many good reviews of this place, I thought I'd try it. Very impressed. Nice clean hotel. Great location, close to freeway and fast food (across the street). Although there seemed to be a lot of teenagers here when we checked in (church group, per front desk), the desk noted our reaction to so many kids, and thoughtfully put us on a different floor than they were in. (nice touch) The room was very spacious, quiet, and clean. Nice large counter in the bathroom to put all our toiletries on. There was a nice evening happy hour with free soda or beer (!) and nachos - yum! The included breakfast the next morning was also very good - good selection of hot items (oatmeal, waffles - in 2 sizes, no less!), and cold items too. I would stay at many more Best Western hotels if they were all as nice as this one!

I travel for business and sales. This place was a great hotel with excellent proximity to Mojave, Lancaster, Palmdale, basically the entire Antelope Valley. The hwy 14 was right next to the hotel, yet not close enough for you to hear it, thankfully. The breakfast was filling each day, and the staff goes above and beyond. Will be back if i need to come back to Antelope Valley for another sale!

I have 3 nights in 3 BW locations and a regular with either BW or Holiday Inn and SPG (westin / sheraton if they are on specials. This branch is exceptional commendable - hotel is new(2 years old) , PC room is well equipped with printers, great choice of breakfast though you may get a better range at a diner. we have a suite for $180 and the sofa and extra space (including queen size beds instead of double beds) came in handy for my family in tow to catch the desert poppies supper bloom. Good security as with card access This should be a standard bearer for all BW but unfortunately there are tiered differentiations like Holiday Inn n their express or the SPG chains. When management writes back to acknowledge your feedback, you know they will try their best ! Highly recommended whether you r here on biz or en route to death Valley or beyond for your road trips

Great trip, friendly people. Location was great to the places we wanted to visit. Pool was a little cold but spa was great!! A great place to go is the BLVD to see a movie and have dinner. Looking forward to returning back.

We stayed here while we visited the Poppy reserve. Location was perfect, rooms clean and comfortable, easy drive to the Boulevard District for good food. We had a suite and loved the comfort. Breakfast was an added plus. Not excellent, but more than adequate.

A brand new property that is flat out amazing. The rooms are as modern as can be, the breakfast was overwhelming for me, which is a good thing. The staff was great, very personable, helpful and housekeeping kicks butt! Will be back!!

Recently stayed here during our visit to the area to see the poppies at Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve. Great hotel, good location. Staff was extremely helpful, especially employee Shawn who was very personable and friendly. Would definately stay here again when in the area.

Convenient location, reasonable price. Relatively new property. Good beds, not crazy about the pillows. Overall a very good choice. Breakfast buffet with good coffee. . . Very important! Easy access on/off freeway with good soundproofing.

We are a retired couple who selected this hotel because it's new. The service was friendly and attentive. The breakfast was 'meh'. The rooms are not well soundproofed so we heard our neighbors thumping and moving furniture. Well, maybe not literally, but it sounded that way.

Great service and staff all around. Free breakfast appreciated when travelling with girls for a softball tournament. Super clean hotel. Staff was really friendly at check-in and check-out. Easy access to highway, and there's a few restaurants and gas stations nearby.

I had to run out to Palmdale for a quick business trip. After having read great reviews I made a reservation here. The room was nicely appointed with a comfortable bed. Check in was fast, check out was equally so. Thanks for a great stay.

The staff are great professionals and courteous. The rooms are spacious and very clean, very modern. This is the best hotel staff i have ever come across. The facility was amazing and the continental breakfast was great.

We stayed at this hotel as we moved our daughter to college in town. The staff made us all feel welcome. The night staff were accommodating for us to utilize their dining area after hours to play games and visit with family staying at another hotel.

Friendly staff, comfortable bed, great variety for breakfast, internet was a bit slow. I would definitely stay here again. I find it interesting that internet price cannot be matched by hotel staff, eventhough it is Best Western site. No hassle checking and checkout.......

You all have a great team at this BW. Even as a rewards member I am still cautious about some of the BW however, this one met my expectations! Clean environment, friendly people, breakfast was great for being included with stay. This is a BW that we will be staying at again.

We stayed for one night at this wonderful Best Western Plus Desert Poppy Inn. We are Best Western Diamond members and were upgraded to a suite. The suite is very lage with a couch, TV, large sink/bar area, coffee area, microwave, refrigerator, and a comfortable king size bed. The bed was in a nook and was super comfortable. It was also quiet; we were on the 2nd floor. Its also nice that it is a newer hotel. We stayed at a number of Best Westerns on this trip and some only had staircases. Being a newer Best Western it has an elevator. Breakfast in the morning is very good and has a variety of hot and cold items . I personally enjoyed cereal, juice, coffee, sausages, eggs, and gravy and biscuits. There was also yogurt, boiled eggs, make your own pancakes and waffles, baked goods, and more. The staff member who managed the breakfast area is very nice and very good. The breakfast area has a TV and comfortable and lots of seating. There is an exercise room, lobby seating area, swimming pool, and hot tub. Its close to the freeway which makes for easy access. I also liked it that it is a couple minutes drive to the AMC 22 theater which is super nice. Its also close to the ball park. There is gas stations, fast food, and grocery and more nearby. The staff is superb. There is free parking right by the Best Western. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. I also liked the desert scenery pictures on the walls. Although we did not use them, they have a nice for purchase snack area to buy items at. There is also a business center.

We moved from this area about 7 years ago, but return to visit family and friends. Very pleased to have a new option in a great location for our visit. Right off the freeway yet far enough to be quiet. In n Out Burger right across the street is a plus as well as Highway Patrol office making it a safe area. Very clean and comfortable with a nice breakfast buffet. All the Employees were very polite and friendly, especially Mel. She checked us in and was very welcoming. She asked how our stay was and if we needed anything each time we came back to the hotel. We will definitely stay here on our future visits.

this is a great new hotel. Friendly staff and excellent breakfast.The location is good since it right off the freeway and it has all the amenities you need. I would recommend this hotel to everyone and I would stay here again.

A very comfortable property. Clean, well taken care of with excellent beds and very quiet rooms. Breakfast service was better than average. The only fault I can find is not with the hotel but with the City of Lancaster having concrete medians on the streets on two sides of the hotel and No U-turn signs at every corner makes it difficult to enter the property if you are on the opposite side of the streetl

We could see from day one that the hotel services has a great quality, both because of its comfortable and appropriate facility, as well as service and constant concerns for our comfort. Don't even mess around trying to size up the other hotels compared to Best Western, unless you need to feel like your on the Ritz and spend more money. When I go to Best Western and get more bang for my buck " I'm on the Ritz" Great rooms, great service and great breakfast. Need I say more?

Stayed here for a night and was pleasantly surprised of the outside look. Due to the nature of my work we are set up for early check in and the woman at the front desk was nice and checked me right in. Requested a first floor room and had no issues getting it. Recently stayed at this hotel while in Lancaster for business. I will plan to return to this location in the future, they do a great job of hosting and it is a nice hotel, only a year or two old so facility is "very clean and crisp" hotel staff does a great job of hosting guests!

Extremely comfortable beds and pillows, and a large, clean room made this a fine place to stay. Bonus was that breakfast was above the norm with scrambled eggs that tasted like eggs and a variety of options, including hard boiled eggs, yogurt and fresh fruit. Lobby was attractive as was breakfast room. Fitness center was open from 5 am to 10 pm. Ice was plentiful and a variety of snacks were available for purchase. Definitely a place I would not hesitate to recommend.

This hotel is practically brand new. It is right off the freeway and close to everything; shopping, dining, the fair grounds, the ball park, my customer sites. I like the staff here, the gym, the conference room, and location. Hot or cold breakfast, hot coffee, and other breakfast drinks available with an early start, 5am. The entire hotel is cool during the hot days and nights. The rooms are very big and stay very cool also.

The staff were not only friendly but INCREDIBLY helpful!!! The PERFECT place to stay if you're in town to see the Lancaster Jethawks at the Hangar! If you are, call directly and book with the front desk!

I have stayed here twice It's is super clean , front desk employees always have smiles and welcome us every time. Jennifer at the front desk and Mary was awesome to The breakfast is great my grandson gives it two thumbs up ???????? I would love for upper management to maybe do or leave a smaller breakfast for us late risers. No worries. I understand. It's as nice as the first year I stayed. So maintenance staff has definitely done a great job!!! When we travel we usually book rooms at a Best Western. This particular hotel is probably the best one we have stayed at. We have stayed here before as we have family that live in Lancaster. Would definitely recommend this Best Western to anyone needing a place to stay in or near Lancaster.

Newly built BW Plus property. Very clean and well kept. Had a great room with king bed in separate room. Two modern edge lit HD TV's with good channel selection. B Fast had the typical selections and was quite adequate. In N Out Burger, Panda Express, Starbucks's, etc. across the street. Great Mexican restaurant a few blocks to the east. Will definitively use this property again when staying in the area.

We attended a hotel conference in Lancaster. This hotel is excellent and at a reasonable rates. Staff were polite and helpful. Location of the hotel is right off the highway, very convenient, and near local restaurant and shopping.

Lousy night sleep. Bed too hard. Hotel full of noisy contractors. Only one ice machine working on 3rd floor and was always out. Complained about the noise above us. Nothing happened. Started back up at 4-5:30am. Paid $150 and was not impressed. I had to wait 30 minutes while checking in as the people in front of me had the clerk emailing their home office back and forth while my check in took less than 1 minute. This was our 3rd stay here but for the price I think we'll look elsewhere next time.

Nice new location with friendly staff and a nice fitness center. Rooms are huge with working air conditioning and internet. The hotel lobby and hallway were air-conditioned too. Very nice to step in from the heat. Breakfast area is very big with big screen television for news updates. Clean facility right off the freeway. I like it!

Working in Lancaster at the local hospital as a hospitalist and landed at the Best Western Plus Poppy Inn by default. I booked the night before and couldn't get into my original choices. I'm so glad I ended up here. Nothing fancy but functional and clean and very comfortable. I love that there's a microwave and small refrigerator and free breakfast. I want or need a mini-bar. Mattress and sheets super comfortable. Lots of reachable outlets and free internet. Staff pleasant and down to earth. Location is great, 5 minutes from my part time job. I've stayed 2 more times and I'm booking to 2 more stays.

I stayed here to attend a ceremony being held at the AV fairgrounds. This hotel is just 1 exit S of the fairgrounds, and across the freeway from the baseball stadium. Its close to downtown Lancaster, a short trip from Palmdale and close to shops and movie theaters. Being brand new, the property is in excellent shape. The staff are super friendly and make you feel right at home. Though most of my activities are typically in Palmdale when I visit the area, I would definitely consider staying here in the future. A special shout out to Rosemary for her excellent hospitality!

This is a brand new hotel and is a very close drive to the baseball stadium. We were very pleased with everything about the hotel, staff, rooms, breakfast. We will return to this lovely little gem and will advise our friends and family to stay there.

New facility, clean, spacious rooms. Very friendly desk staff, willing to go out of their way to assist. Nice full breakfast with juice, fresh HOT Coffee. Large seating area for enjoying your meal. I would definitely recommend this facility.

New and clean hotel, comfortable bed, nice view of the desert from our west facing window. Front desk very helpful and welcoming. She recommended local mexican eatery Domingo's and it was fantastic. Being a native 58 year old San Diegan resident, I was skeptical of a "great Mexican " place to eat but we were amazed by how good the food was and the margaritas were not the usual weak watered down touristy slop but a real strong Mexican drink. The hotel's breakfast was a mixed bag. The sausages, eggs, coffee and make your own waffles were excellent and hot. The orange juice machine was like a weak watered tang flavor. Maybe because they just changed the concentrated juice cartridge? Good choice of rolls and muffins.

No surprises. Everything as expected. No problems. I found front desk (melissa) to be friendly and very competent (especially when we extended our stay. Down graded to **** because access is a bit weird, Also weekends are cheaper than weekdays. Weekday rates are much higher than the BW down the road in Palmdale.

Started really bad...2:15 pm. Day Front desk (Jennifer) has a bad attitude and is just mumbling over and over...No early check-in...check-in is 3. I watched and listed as she told every single person that their room was still being cleaned. I never saw her check the computer. New front desk (Rosemary) is quite professional and competent My room ( 318) is really large- almost with a sitting room area Room is clean, average linens and bed comfort Standard free breakfast with pastries, cereals, coffees, juices, etc Best Western style and quality. Glad the Evening front desk saved the experience. Moved from below average and never to return...To average and pleasant.

We were here, as many of you might be, for soccer. This is a winning hotel for sure. Everything is as great as you would want it to be. Staff is not only super friendly and personable, but also very accommodating to all of your needs and special requests. Outstanding group. Breakfast is very good, very well stocked and maintained. Rooms were CLEAN, dark, and quiet. Shower is really dreamy. What more could you want?

This is a new hotel. Everything is ship-shape. The staff were particularly friendly and the rooms were large and inexpensive. Starbucks, In n out and groceries close by. I'll definitely be back next year

Stayed for 4 nights with my wife on a vacation. From the friendliness of the Front Dest staff (day and night), the full breakfasts, the decent wi-fi speed/connectivity, comfy bed, the quiet a/c unit, the maid servicing, the cleanliness, and the general location -- this was a great place to stay! It's just north of "downtown" Lancaster, 7 min north of Palmdale, 15 min southwest of Edwards AFB, and just off Hwy 14. Only "awkward" part was trying to return to the freeway every morning for travel. It necessitates crossing 3 lanes of traffic within 50 yds of a stoplight to get to the left-turn lane where you need to pull a u-turn to access the freeway on-ramps. Not a "show-stopper", just a little weird.... Overall, would very much recommend the place, and will stay there again if we're ever in the area again!

Friendly Staff, New Hotel (opened in July 2015?), Fast Internet! (40mbps!) Small but alright Gym, indoor pool, lots of parking spaces. Free coffee all day. One slight downside was not enough hot food during breakfast. I only had a toast.... and some fruit. Eggs and other proteins were all gone, without replenishment

This hotel is beautiful and still smells brand new! The rooms are so comfortable and decorated very nicely. We stayed here with our 4 year old and 1 year old sons. The staff is so kind and helpful! Great pool and hot tub, we were the only ones in them last night. Nice breakfast selection, free Wi-Fi, very very clean and right across the street from In-N-Out and Starbucks. One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in and highly recommended!! Thank you so much Desert Poppy Inn!!!

We stayed here when it had been open just 2 months. Everything was gorgeous despite the staff still scrambling a bit to make it all smooth. Go soon, while it still smells brand new! All was perfect except the exterior light timers got off sync, leaving the parking lot in darkness. A few ants in the bathroom had not got the notice to relocate yet either. Nothing serious. It was a wonderful stay and great value for the money.

I stayed here twice while going through Lancaster. The hotel was only a couple months old when I stayed. It was very modern and rooms were very clean. It was very close to the highway onramp and close to restaraunts.Very nice best western. I payed much less here than at much worse hotels in the area. A great value

Stayed here overnight on a business trip and I highly enjoyed it. Staff was very friendly and rooms were amazing. No traffic noise, no suspicious people walking around. I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended.

A wonderful new modern place to stay in Lancaster. Great quality comfort at an affordable rate! This stop was quite a surprise for us, seeing this new beautiful motel right off of Ave. I and the 14 freeway.

Very nice and new. This was a good location north of end of Lancaster for the softball tournament we were attending. Across the freeway from Jethawks stadium and across the street from In-N-Out. I would recommend this hotel. Free breakfast was good.
