No microwave in the room and the sheets had stains in them. It was really an inconvenience to have to go and ask for more sheets and use the microwave in the lobby. The front desk rep seem irritated when I addressed the issues with her. Good stay for about 5 hours I guess.
The bed was comfortable and we all had a good night's rest. I've never stayed at a hotel with a 24 hr pool. My sister and nephews loved it! The staff was courteous. The room was very clean. Breakfast was delicious and very filling. It was a great experience. Thank you.
Great place to visit. They have Wonderful staff. They had a hot breakfast. The beds were firm and comfortable I slept like a baby. Room was clean and the pool was very warm. The pool was open 24 hours. I would recommend this hotel and would s definitely be back.
Firm mattresses, good air conditioning, good TVs. Clean and comfortable. The internet worked easily. There was no hand-held shower, but the water pressure was fine. The free breakfast was average. Overall I found this place to be good, and I would stay here again.
it is refreshing to walk into a room and smell the cleanliness right away. The bedsheets are very soft and the mattresses are comfortable. The rooms are big and clean. Television a little small and no microwave is the only thing I did not like. They have a good breakfast and the lobby. I've been staying there two or three nights a week for almost 2 years. I prefer this hotel over any and a 20 mile area. The staff is very professional and friendly. Very well managed hotel. I highly recommend this hotel.
We had a room with a single king bed, and I was pleasantly surprised to find a desk and desk chair as well as a comfortable chair with foot stool. Hubs likes to lounge across the bed and watch TV, but I like to sit up and crochet or read, so the extra chair was appreciated!
The hotel room was clean and the beds were comfortable. There was some confusion at the front desk with booking through a 3rd party, it all got sorted out tho. There wasn't breakfast when I stayed. They also had a fire pit area, which was nice. I would also put its super close to the Buccees so if you're interested in that it's a major plus.
Very clean, quiet n peaceful Bed was comfortable Just little outdated, needs upgraded in electric outlets n such. Nice room just needs updated. What interactions I had with staff was pleasant and courteous. Plenty of parking , free breakfast area could have been more
This is an update to a previous review. The general manager - Kevon- corrected our bill and refunded the overcharge. He also read our review, checked out the shower situation in the handicap room, and made a correction to the shower head by adding an adjustable hand-held shower head to the shower to make it easier for handicapped individuals to use. THANK YOU Kevon for listening and taking action to make corrections. We will give your property another "try" if we are ever in the area again.
The staff is friendly and accommodating. Rooms were clean but the pool cleanliness needs work and the pool deck needs a new coat of paint. The deck was chipping and getting into the water and on our bodies. The pumps may need repaired because large hairballs were located at the bottom of the pool after settling overnight.
The room was not very clean didn't want to take my shoes off and the room smelled like mildew badly. We asked the front desk for a toothbrush because we had forgotten one and they didn't have any personal hygiene items for sale or for complimentary. I have never been to a hotel that didn't have this stuff.
The only positive was the location- across the highway from Buc-ee's. Do not stay here if you are mobility challenged. We had a 3 night reservation and left after the first night. STILL waiting for the charge to our account to be corrected. Worst breakfast "offering" of any Best Western we've ever stayed at - and we are Diamond members.
Overall it was a good stay but not the best we have had at BW. Our reservation was not ready as we had to wait while our rooms were picked. Usually everything is ready when we arrive. We planned to leave at 7am and went down for coffee and some breakfast at 6:30am only to be told they would not be ready until 7am so we left as we were on a time table.
Me, my mom, and our friend (who is wheelchair bound) stayed in this hotel this past weekend. It was a last minute, day of booking because our hotel in Holland, Michigan told us that it was not wheelchair accessible like we requested. So it was nice that I was able to book the morning we left, and they had something that they assured me was wheelchair accessible. When we first got to our room it seemed promising, but the first thing we noticed was the height of the beds. They were entirely too high... Now for someone that is able to stand up and get in bed, that is fine. My friend is able to transfer from her wheelchair to bed without assistance, but she was unable to because of the height. When I went to the front desk to ask, he assured me he would take care of it before bed, and ten minutes later he was there ready to help. He ended up removing the bed frame to make it more accessible. Next, the bathroom was terrible. My friend ended up using the bathroom in the hall because it was more accessible. The toilet in our room was so close to the wall that she had a hard time using the restroom comfortably. The handles were placed too high for her to even try to use them to transfer... She also was unable to shower for our two night trip because there was no handheld shower. There was a bench and roll in shower, but the showerhead was not able to be taken down and used... which made it impossible for her to shower. She did not even try to go out on the very small balcony. Like I said before, for someone that is able to get out of their wheelchair and stand, this room would be perfect, but it is NOT wheelchair accessible. The room itself was pretty clean, except for the floors... the first night to my surprise my feet were completely black... This hotel worked in a pinch, but we will not be back, unfortunately...
Spacious room with comfortable mattress and pillows. We wanted to be east of Knoxville and we found this BW on Google. So glad we did.
Great stay at a great price. Clean and comfortable, We will stay there again. Front desk was very friendly and we had a fast check in.
This hotel was amazing. Beautiful room. Great amenities. Breakfast was excellent. Rooms super clean. Love the bed.
Comfortable bed, clean room. No microwave in room which was a drawback for our dinner plans. No freezer section in fridge. TV reception spotty. This is a busy tourist area with a lot of traffic, but room was very quiet. Overall, good hotel for our very brief stay.
To start off the front desk guy was the best , he was so nice and friendly. But the room was disgusting, there was sticky stuff all over the top of the desk , end table and dresser, the fridge had actual drink spilled in the bottom. The toilet seat was broken and there was a used bottle of shampoo in the shower. Instead of dealing with moving i just cleaned the room myself because the other room that they tried moving us to was worst. The road noise and noise from the people beside us kept me up all night, paper things walls. They only two good things with this hotel was the wifi and the pool. The breakfast is ok but nothing special. I would never stay at this best western again.
Clean nice rooms but their breakfast was like they weren't even trying. OJ tasted weird, rubber eggs and dried out sausage. The only thing good was the prepackaged muffins. There was a pancake restaurant next door that me and my family should have went to instead of trying to eat the hotel's miserable breakfast.
This was right off the interstate. We stayed in room 206 on the backside. One king bed. Perfect for the husband and I who had a one night get away. No road noise on the back side. Breakfast had bacon, eggs, waffles, oatmeal, toast, and fruit. Fresh even 30 min before closing. The room was really big and spacious. The only two complaints I have were the main one being the side door is unlocked. You didn't need a key to walk in and it's right by the elevator. I just made sure to lock our door extra at night. And second if you're looking for a microwave our room didn't have one. we would def stay here again, only about 20 min into light 2 where we had dinner even with traffic. Right across the street from bucees!
Pleasant room with comfortable beds and bedding, adequate lighting. Friendly, efficient staff at the desk and throughout the complex. Lobby has plenty of space for meeting up with people. Clean and quiet, with adequate hot water in the shower. Doors have secure locks. Breakfast room a bit dreary but food and coffee hot and plentiful. The only negative is crossing the highway to get to I-40.
I was impressed with how firm and comfortable the mattress was. The bedding was nice and smooth. The TV, refrigerator, microwave and shower all worked well. The heat & air worked fine and was not noisy. The room was clean and had pleasing proportions (not too crowded but had a desk and 2 chairs as well as 2 nightstands.) This is a convenient location. I requested and was pleased to be given a room with a balcony.
Cheeck in involved a 10 minute wait at the desk apparently they have minimum staff, also check in is after 3, guests will have to wait if service providers walk in, got to the room it seemed nice at first, the toilet paper holder is behind you not on the wall in front of you, if you want your room cleaned or clean linen you have to request it, there was a hole in the wall by the bed, and the door that leads to your patio did not seal well lets in air and light, the side entrance a door the security lock is not on the door so anyone can roam in, the floor left your feet / socks black after walking on them, lots of road noise at night but not much you can do about that as Bucees is right up the street, our thursday night was ok, and friday night was ok, however the breakfast was over crowded with a lot of people in construction gear and vests and kids so we could not get anything to eat in the mornings, parking is very good, Saturday night was the night from HELL, their phone system was randomly ringing the rooms at least once an hour even with the phone off the hook till early morning, then the room above was apparently having a party as there was stomping and dragging noises all night, we checked out at 6 am as there was going to be no sleep, when we aksed the staff about the phones yeah they had a problem with them and they got lots of complaints about the noise and guests but did nothing about it, they were "sorry about that". They have a bunch of signs about gift cards for 2 night stay well that is an expired promotion, and there is an issue with the stay 2 nights get a night free promotion too the hotel and best western are no synching up. Best western corporate is giving them 3 days to contact us about it to bring a resolution to the problems
We were staying in Kodak to watch college baseball tournaments at the Smokies stadium. Best Western was very clean and customer service was excellent. It is located on a main road so the noise is very bad in the rooms located near the road. We requested a room change and they were very accommodating. We would stay at this hotel again.
I have stayed here several days a week for almost a year and a half. ( Building a house nearby) I have never been disappointed in the rooms. They are very clean and comfortable. The staff is very professional and helpful. Location is great because it is close to the interstate Buck ees, and not far from Dollywood.
The room was really clean. The bed was very comfortable and we had plenty of pillows ! The towels could use a little fabric softener but there was plenty to use. Breakfast was great! I loved the fresh yogurt with all the different toppings!! We will come back!
The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was pleasant. The breakfast and coffee were good. I liked the workout room. It had everything I needed- treadmill, dumbbells and floor mats. For the money it was a great value
Was convenient and comfortable for a one night layover, but could use a refresh. Rust on lamps and door hinges, dust accumulated in the space under the TV where maybe a microwave used to be. Staff were very friendly and professional. It's an okay place for a one night stay.
Very professional and courteous staff, hot breakfast to include bacon, scrambled eggs waffles orange juice. The pool was heated and I had a comfortable beds. Had a wonderful stay and looking forward to visit again soon whenever I'm in the area.
Clean room and great friendly service. We have stayed multiple times at this Best Western and we've had great experiences every time. Will be staying here on future stays as well. Highly recommended.
Hotel was directly off I-40/81 and on a very well used main route. That might cause light sleepers some concern IF your room is on that side of the hotel, traffic can be noisy into the early evening? Hotel was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was bare minimums, go somewhere else...like the pancake rest. nextdoor! Because of the mentioned traffic and the entrance is on a one-way road, getting in and out can be a hassle, as you have to go only in one direction. This means you must do a U-turn to get back into the hotel if your coming from Sevierville. But its a nice hotel, so I would recommend it!
This is one of the best BestWesterns I've stayed at. Great price and most of the rooms had balconies. It is right off I-40 and next to a Buccees so has a great location and not too far from all of the great amenities of the town
Overall a quiet, good night rest stay. Just passing through so did not use any amenities. Breakfast was good, food stocked (only little qualm would be if they would have more choices). Desk clerks were friendly and helpful!
Nicely remodeled rooms with comfortable beds. Was not able to use amenities but would stay here again. Staff was nice and helpful. Good location and area, as well as a delicious pancake restaurant next door. Booked room online through BW's www.
Check-in was quick and efficient. The staff person was so gracious and helpful to this very elderly couple. We enjoyed a good breakfast, although the bacon was pretty greasy. At breakfast we were entertained briefly with song by the gentleman who checked us in the night before.
Good service, very friendly staff. Good breakfast with cereal, toast, waffles, eggs and sausage or bacon. Very nice indoor pool. The gentleman who checked us in was attentive and so kind throughout our whole stay.
Paint patches all across the room. Cobb webs inside and outside on balcony. Staff pizza boxes laying around in lobby. Shortage of breakfast food. No nice variety of breakfast items. No eggs, no syrup, no yogurt just wow. No one to assist for about 20 minutes+. Will never stay there again. Place needs to be cleaned up and fresh paint in the rooms. Balcony bed to be swept off and down. Who checks these properties to see is things are in good standards for their guests? I GUESS NO ONE!
This hotel exceeded my expectations. The room was large, but the wear and tear of customers was evident. Things like stains on the floor or trash that was in an area that was likely missed by staff. Overall, it was relatively clean and has been updated in terms of modernity. My biggest gripe out of everything is really the staff. I thought they could have been more customer service oriented and welcoming, but even then it wasn't so bad that I was ready to walk out of the door either. I am sure it is exhausting being in a tourist town greeting people day in and day out like that. I would stay here again. It was a very nice facility. You do have to take stairs and a long hallway to get to the elevators.
Toilet paper was like sandpaper. Taking a shower you had to hang on the the wall hanger as the tub was extremely slippery. Needed to put some non slip material on the tub floor. This was very dangerous.
Easy to get to and close enough to the attractions without all the traffic. Nice sized rooms with decent but not abundant parking. Nice pool and outdoor area. Good choice if quiet restaurants around. Easy to get back in the interstate once done.
This place was fabulous. Nice clean rooms with super comfortable beds. Everything we needed as a family for a good nights stay. The staff was very kind and helpful. The breakfast was good and there was plenty to choose from. It's close to the Buccees gas station!
The hotel was clean. Kevin at the front desk was courteous and helpful. Room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good. We cannot say enough about how kind and courteous Kevin at the front desk was.
We had stayed here before and it was nice, but not now. Hotel has went downhill. Hair in flor, all in the bed. Spilled residue on table and floors. Make up on wash cloths. AC/heat unit had something spilled all over it. Room smelled. First floor unit lets car lights come in your room all night.
The bed was super comfortable. The room had hard wood floors instead of carpet which I love. The front desk staff was friendly. We had a restful stay. Breakfast included waffles with chocolate chips or fruit syrup, eggs, sausage, and a yogurt machine. They also had several types of cereal. The location was very convenient right off the 407 exit with a pancake log cabin next door and a Cracker Barrell down the street.
Affordable, convenient location, clean. As I expected, nothing fancy. I did not use any amenities offered, so I can not comment on them, but they did have a free breakfast, fitness center, pool and WIFI.
My original cabin was cancelled due to being inaccessible. My fiancé looked for somewhere to stay last minute and came upon this hotel and booked. We arrived and nobody came to the front desk for 30mins-1hour. The lady finally came down and proceeded to start checking us in. The room was booked under my fiancés name due to me waiting on a refund from the original cabin. The billing was under her mother's name, and she had the card used on her. The lady refused to let us check in because my fiancés name did not match the name on the card. We were not happy and the lady then started giving us attitude. I told her to cancel the booking and refund the card, she said it was never charged, even though we received a confirmation that it was. I booked under my information and then she had her young child go check to see if the room was ready. The kid came back and said yeah it's clean, we go up to our room, walk in, and immediately notice bugs. The room was infested with Asian lady beetles. We requested a new room and were moved. Our neighbor across the hall was double booked as someone tried to enter into their room as well. As we are settling in to our new room, someone attempted to enter our room showing that our room was also double booked. All in all, a complete disaster. Horrible experience, I will never stay with best western again.
The hotel was clean and affordable. I want to brag on the staff. The hotel was short staffed and you could see on their faces they were exhausted but they never slipped in doing their best! The snow had apparently kept a lot of people from being able to come to work and the ones there had to stay a while. Everything we asked for they got for us. One man was doing the breakfast and taking care of the front desk. That is no easy task! He did a great job. Would stay again.
They don't salt or clean their parking lot after snow and a lot of trash all week In parking lot. No floor mats at any of the exit doors for water from snow and ice. Beds are bad service at front desk bad and food. This is the short version.
Convenient location off of I40, clean room and facility. No weather channel or local tv stations available. Access to rooms from lobby required steps or a poorly accessible, steep ramp. Breakfast options very limited - cereal, bacon, and waffles.
We are traveling from Pennsylvania to Mississippi for Christmas. We had been driving all day and pulled into the Sevierville, Tennessee exit . The Best Western was right off of the highway. The rate was amazing, rooms excellent, clean and there was coffee! The shower was powerful. Nice people. AND The Cracker Barrel was right down the road! Oh yes, breakfast too! And morel coffee
Cheaper stay for the location. Remodeled to change outside doors to inside doors. Indoor pool basic hot breakfast option. We stay here as a halfway point to go see our daughter that lives 12 hrs away.
Carpet was nasty didn't not clean the floor the TV didn't work in the suite part and beds were hard! Staff was extremely nice tho and they didn't have much selection for breakfast! The room had holes in the wall also!
Excellent stay! Front desk clerk was a joy to dealbwith. Always smiling and friendly! Rooms were a great size and the beds were so comfortable. The only thing I would change would be to put hand held shower heads in the handicap bathrooms Would definitely stay here again! Highly recommend this place!
We have stayed here numerous times and have always been happy with it. Good parking and easy in and off highway. Restaurants are close by and gas as well. Short distance (a few miles) from Dollywood so away from the congestion but still close enough. Rooms are nice and always clean and quiet. Very comfortable beds. Many have a little balcony that is nice in a cool evening. Breakfast is as expected but other choices very close
I felt it was a bit over priced. There have been renovations which shows they are trying. I wasn't impressed to walk in the room and see the ironing board set up because there wasn't anywhere to put it. I would say it was clean.
Although we had checked in online ahead of time, the receptionist insisted on checking us in manually. The room was a standard BW room, but it was starting to show its' age, particularly in the bathroom. Grout and caulking in the shower was pretty grubby and either needed a good scrub or replaced with new. Towels were starting to get pretty thin, but everything seemed to still be very clean. The bed and pillows were comfortable. WiFi was intermittent, and not secure, although it was supposed to be password protected. The complimentary breakfast was the standard assortment of hot and cold items, but with little in the way of fruits or bread products. Interesting that there was a chalkboard menu of the meat items listed, but it was dated ten days previously? The stay was fine, but just not up to the standard we expect of Best Western.
I had to have a room because of a bad experience at another place. Did a great job to get me a room. They made sure that I had the best price. They explained how to find the elevator and how to get to our room
We stayed here after a Tennessee Vols football game. It didn't take us long to get to the hotel from the stadium. It's not far from the exit, so it was perfect. Easy check-in. It was clean and it was directly beside a Flapjacks (popular breakfast place). The next day, we drove into Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg so it was the perfect location for our weekend.
We were tired after 10 hours of traveling and just stopped at this Best Western after finding it off our exit. Stopped and asked if a room was available, which it was and was quoted a price. I then asked if they offer a senior discount or AARP, to which the gentleman didn't bat and eye and quoted me another price. I like when I feel like a got a deal. Lol. The room was really pretty. I liked that there was no carpet. The bed was super comfortable and the room darkening curtains worked great, even though they worked too well and we got a late start to our 2nd day of traveling home. Definitely don't hesitate staying here. Found out in the morning that they even have an indoor pool.
It's a nice place staff are friendly. On this stay the pillows where like half pillows. Don't know the reason for this, but had four pillows half the size . I didn't complain they where comfortable. Made the best of it. All and all if your looking for somewhere to catch a break from the road its a good place. Rooms are very clean and spacious. Very nice people there. .
We stayed here for a night and were pleased with the room although it had a funky smell in the bathroom. The staff was pleasant the room comfortable. The location is not the best. It is hard to get into and out of.
I would have given it a 5, but the facility doesn't have a laundry room for self service and the carpet and bedspread in our room had stains. Other than that the staff was great, the ice machines worked, the room was a good size with a balcony and was in a good location. The gym and pool area looked nice. They had a nice selection of breakfast items and a nice lobby. We would choose this hotel again on our next visit.
The price was definitely good for the area. The staff was helpful, smoothe check in and friendly staff. The rooms were clean and rather large. Bathroom and shower was clean, bed slept well. Only thing missing was a microwave.
No working pool. No working firepit. Lack of parking. Lack of after hour employees at reception area. Lack of security. Lack of notice for activities near parking lot that create a lot of noise. Only 1 ice machine and 1 vending machine located on the 1st floor. Breakfast ?
Hotel was clean and remodeled. They did not have a microwave or hairdryer in room. We asked for coffee which they were supposed to have at front desk but they kept saying they were to busy to make. They did have a single cup maker in room but was a hassel. The pool was closed and did offer us a refund since we were really looking forward to it but since they would not let us check in until 4pm we went downtown and didnt check in until 530pm it was to late to get another room. All in all we were happy with the room and did get a free breakfast.
This place was clean & everyone was friendly. The breakfast was okay. Our bed was a little uncomfortable and the pillows were small. We booked this place because it had an indoor heated pool, sadly the pump went out and wasn't in use.
The facility is clean and conveniently located. Breakfast is adequate. I did especially like the strawberry sauce for on the waffles. I typically do not eat waffles, but with a REAL strawberry sauce that wasn't too sweet, they were very good. The only "extra" amenities we enjoy are hot tubs (they don't have one) and fire pits (theirs was not working). The broken fire pit was a disappointment. Kevin was pleasant and accommodating. We would consider staying here again in the future.
A nice experience for the most part. Hotel room was clean and well stocked with everything that was needed. Disappointed about pool closure for the length of our stay however. A big reason coming was that there would be a 24 hour pool that would be far away from the busiest areas in Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg. We were told first day that there was some issue with a pump and that a repair person would come the next day and it would be open again. The second day a part was needed for the pool so it was closed again. I understand things happen, but it was disappointing none the less.
Very bad stay experience. Will definitely not stay at this place. Feels like sleeping on the road. No guests should be allowed to stay in this room. I don't know why the front desk would give such a room to the guests
nice big rooms with many updated amenities. The staff was friendly and helpful. it was good location with clean rooms. each room has its own balcony so you can enjoy the scenic views. THe Continental breakfast was good
This hotel is clean and has a friendly staff. The breakfast is simple but I feel like you get a choice. They had eggs and sausage both mornings we stayed. They have 2 waffle makers which is nice! The pool is the warmest pool I've been in in a hotel. Sad they don't have a hot tub but all in all this hotel was a nice stay.
We stayed one night and our room was okay for the price. Our room could have been cleaner, but it was in a safe location and easy to access from the road. The breakfast was okay for a hotel breakfast, but they ran out of a lot of things towards the end of breakfast and it looked like they were short staffed. We voiced our concerns with cleanness with the manager and he was apologetic and thanked us for the feedback.
Very spacious and clean. Hotel was updated and breakfast was warm and filling. High recommend staying here! Just outside of Gatlinburg and right off the interstate, perfect location for a great price.
I had booked a 4 night stay but only stayed for 1. Upon checking in the room looked nice at first glance but the sheets were dirty with hair and dirt on the sheets under the covers. The bed also looked like someone had recently slept in it and was just made up. Floor looked nice. As soon as you walked past the door area there was a loose tile. There was a gap between the new tiles and where the tile and grout stopped. It did not appear the be done by a professional. So I wonder what else they cheeped out on. The door to the room also needed to be made sure that it had been fully closed.
The best heat pool any BW I ever stayed at. And I have stayed at a lot. Very nice staff. Helpful for the area sites. Clean and comfortable. Stayed all over in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan Tennessee. New York.
I booked 2 rooms for our family to spend Labor Day in Sevierville (my husband and I in 1 and my daughter, son-in-law and 2 grandbabies in another. They didn't have connecting rooms available but we were able to be next to each other. The fitness room is a bit small, but my daughter was able to work out. We really enjoyed the heated indoor pool. Hot breakfast was available although we had to wait a little for items to be stocked. Even on a holiday weekend, we didn't notice noise in the building.
We have stayed twice and both times the rooms were excellent. The manager Kevin is so nice and accommodating. The breakfast was nice especially since we have a 3 year old with us. The pool water was very warm. Microwave in the lobby which we didn't mind. If you need room service they are happy to exchange towels, etc. This location will be our new regular spot.
On a 4200 mile random roads honeymoon road trip, we had several nights at multiple hotels. I won't mention the other chain names but I will state that the cleanliness and friendliness found at the Best Western was superior to the other choices; so much so that we have decided we Only stay at Best Westerns now
The hotel facility is lovely and a great location! The staff was wonderful and the front desk person, Kevon, was outstanding. He patiently and effectively helped us rearrange our multiple room reservations. His follow up was friendly and professional. It's rare to get the type of service that Kevon demonstrated these days. He sold me on coming back and I will gladly spread the good word!
Romantic weekend getaway. They welcomed us immediately & we're extremely friendly. Their towels were folded into the cutest shapes. Octopus on the bed, fan in the bathroom. Everything was so clean. They had the amenities that we would need. Recommended places to visit during our stay. Each staff member we came across was as friendly as the last! We were very pleased with every aspect of our stay, and will be returning.
This is a very nice facility, conveniently located to the highway, though w/o the noise of the highway. The room was wonderfully clean and comfortable, and the provided breakfast was offered a sufficient variety of foods. The location is a few minutes from primary touristy attractions, but that was perfect for us!
Close to many attractions. The hotel was wonderful too. Looked newer.Exceptionaly clean, and the staff was wonderful. The new front desk young lady was awesome. I would definitely recommend this hotel, to anyone traveling the Smoky Mountains
The hotel was very clean, breakfast was great and the staff was very helpful and friendly. We arrived late and the front office worker went above and beyond to make an accommodation for us that was very appreciated. Definitely recommend staying here.
Loved the location! Far enough away from the rat race of Sevierville that the price was just right yet still close enough to enjoy their amenities. The hotel itself was clean and updated. Would definitely stay again!
When we got into our room, we found dirty washrag in the dirty tub, an inch of dirt and dust on the bathroom fan, mold on the AC vents and no Blackout curtains only blinds. I spoke to the female Front Desk clerk who made a note but offered nothing to resolve the situation at the time. I even asked for a bleach wipe to clean up the AC myself. It was a Friday night and no other rooms available. Staffing/training is definitely an issue both in housekeeping and Front Desk. The next morning during checkout I asked for a business card for the manager. She flipped through a stack of cards on the desk and said there were no cards for the hotel or manager. On the upside- the beds were comfortable.
This hotel is not staffed adequately! The front desk clerk had passed out and not at the desk! The assistant clerk did the best he could. A manager should have been called in to run the hotel but I don't think there is one! Never had such an experience in a hotel!!
The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, the staff were friendly. I didn't try the breakfast I ate at the restaurant next door (flapjacks) I didn't use the pool or the workout room , will definitely stay again
Recently updated older hotel, pleasant colors, relaxing atmosphere,Beds were extremely comfy, room clean and balcony a bonus Room did not have a microwave but one in lobby. Mini fridge was not able to freeze anything and barely chilled drinks.Did not use pool. Breakfast was a let down, coffee wasn't hot, out of creamer and other items with an hour and a half left to serve.Concocted a waffle topped with yogurt and the strawberry topping, very yummy! . Felt safe, rested well and the price was reasonable.
Overall, this is a decent Best Western. It is a great location for visiting the sites in the area. It is away from the commercial areas but close enough to be able to do what you want. My only real complaint about our stay was that the breakfast offering was very limited compared to other Best Westerns. In over 22 nights in the past year, we have never gone someplace else for breakfast.....this was the first time. Also, be aware that there are not a lot of dining options right near the hotel....that was not a problem but you should be aware. I would stay at this hotel again, if we are in the area.
We stay at Best Westerns most of the time. This one was very clean, quiet & a good location. The beds were very comfortable, spacious rooms & plenty of towels. The gentleman at the front desk was the best! He was very knowledgeable & helped us locate a near by Shoe store as one in our group left her shoe bag at home. Thank you guys at BW, Kodak,TN
After reading the reviews, I thought I was getting a clean good room to lay my head after a 9 hour drive, but I could not have being more disappointed. Their room look nice when you open the door but after a closer inspection we found multiple stains on the carpet, a bathtub cover with a gray scum and bedsheets really old and thin, Even one of the pillow covers had holes. We even found a wet towel behind the bathroom door. I had to clean the bathtub myself with Clorox wipes that I brought from my car. But the worst happened this morning after breakfast. I had to immediately go to the room, and sit on the toilette for 30 minutes even with cramps, emptying my bowels. This delay my departure, which was a great inconvenience. I contacted the property manager directly, but his attitude was smog and dismissive. I specifically requested reimbursement, But he said , and I quote, “that I had all the right to write a review on TripAdvisor”. I am not recommending this Best Western.
We found this property after a search of NOT pet friendly hotels in the area. We have allergies and recently had a horrible experience at another chain of being placed in a pet friendly room that was disgusting. So we did NOT want a pet friendly hotel again. I booked a King and a Double Queen with the understanding they would be adjacent or adjoining. When we arrived we found that wasn't possible and that they were actually quite far down the hallway from one another. The night clerk, Kevin, was awesome at helping us find two rooms that were at least close to one another, even though we had to take two Double Queen rooms instead of one being a King. It was a very late evening check-in and we didn't feel we could be too picky at this point. The rooms were clean and neat, appeared recently updated, each had a balcony that (on the first floor) looked at the back of the cars a few feet away from you in the parking lot. So if you are planning to balcony sit for a length of time you will want to be on a higher floor. The floors in the rooms are tile, so we kept our shoes by the bed to slide into before going to the bathrooms - mainly because there were these little centipedes (millipedes? I'm not a bug expert, there were a LOT of legs) that kept crawling in from underneath the balcony door and going straight across the room toward the hall light that was shining under the room door. After killing 10 of them, and accidentally stepping on two more, I was over it and just made sure to wear shoes. The same thing was happening in our second room next door. Otherwise, the property was acceptable, pet free and smoke free, the price was right for a quick overnight stay, it felt clean and had adequate towels in the room. We didn't have time to visit the pool, but it was open 24 hours for anyone who wanted to. The breakfast wasn't overly impressive and my kids stuck with cereal, but for others it was likely perfect. It was a bit noisy around 6am when many people began leaving for the day - but that could also be attributed to being on the parking lot side bottom floor. Perhaps a hillside room upper floor wouldn't have that issue? Overall, I'd recommend it.
The room was clean and in working order; the private balconies for the rooms were a nice addition. We were on our way home from a vacation in Ocean Isle Beach, NC; after about 8 hours of driving we were very happy to find a nice, clean room waiting for us. I'm planning to stop here on the way home from any future OIB vacations as well.
The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The pool and fitness room were nice. Kevin was an amazing front desk clerk who made sure everyone's needs were taken care of. He is an outstanding employee.
We arrived in the early morning hours without a reservation. The night manager was pleasant and check in was quick and easy. The room was spacious and clean with 2 comfortable queen beds, a chair, and a desk with a chair. The bathroom sink was separated from the toilet and tub which made it easier to get ready in the morning. There was even an outside door to a balcony with 2 chairs and a little table. Breakfast was well stocked with waffles, ham, cereal, yogurt, fruit, pastries, bagels and coffee.
Room was very clean and spacious. Bed was comfortable and clean. Had to ask for more pillows. Only negative we could find wrong with the room was the air conditioning did not work very well. Would recommend this hotel to others. The Breakfast was marginal. It could be better.
room was dirty, waffle machine didn't work, out of most everything else, oj machine sprayed all over clothes, tv had to be worked on everytime. If you stay here expect to eat breakfast out. Top 3 worst hotels i have ever stayed out.
Location is great, literally closest hotel to I-40 in Kodak/Sevierville; nice and clean. Room was missing a microwave for some reason but the building was nice and well maintained especially compared to others in the area.
We stay here on our way back to NC. Rooms are nice. Very comfortable and clean. Plenty of parking. Lots of restaurants and gas stations around. Easy on and off highway. Close to Dollywood and all of that without the traffic. Good price
The rooms are recently renovated and clean, no more stinky carpet! The desk clerk was helpful and efficient. The location was just off the interstate with easy access. We would definitely stay there again
caring knowledegable staff. would highly recommend the hotel, hotel is set in a convenient location to all attractions in the area. the staff are knowledgable, friendly quick to take care of your concerns/needs
Very clean and super convenient to stay outside of Memphis. Will stay here again! Manager definitely makes you feel like your business matters. Liked that location was easy to find right off interstate. Great value for your money. We will be back.
It was reasonably priced on a weeknight. The hotel has been renovated and was very clean. The bed was comfortable and TV had a good choice of channels. Internet worked well. The staff was friendly and helpful. We would stay at this Best Western again.
We stayed at the Best Western, Kodak, TN. on Friday, April 22, 2022. Upon check-in the front desk worker informed me that breakfast started at 6:30am and that the pool was open 24 hours. The next morning I was woken up by housekeeping banging on my door at 9am even though checkout was at 11am. I got up and got ready to go down to breakfast with my kids around 9:40am. We knew breakfast was almost over since the packet the room keys were in said breakfast ended at 10am. The sign in the lobby also said breakfast ended at 10am. Well, we got to the lobby and there was no breakfast in sight at 9:45am. I asked the front desk worker, who ironically, was eating some of the breakfast food. He said, oh breakfast ended at 9:30. I said, well all of your signage says it ends at 10am. His reply was that when people check in they tell them the new end time. This is not right. It is not fair. We chose the Best Western so that we could have food for us and the kids before we drove home from our vacation in Tennessee. I am very disappointed in this Best Western location. Please let me know if there is anything that can be done to make this right.
Pro - great location at interstate exchange close to several restaurants and Bass Pro Shop; very large room with chair and desk/chair; bathroom good, comfortable bed; quiet; easy access from road and good parking. Con- the room is tired. Needs new carpet. Arm upholstery on desk chair is worn and frayed; rooms quite bland. Advertised free breakfast on website but did not provide - instead 10% discount for breakfast at restaurant next door.
Hotel room was very clean and spacious. Nice shower area and vanity area separate from the shower area. Had Direct tv so plenty of viewing options. Bed was firm but comfortable. Front desk was friendly and courteous. Breakfast was not included, but a discount was given to lodger at a pancake restaurant next door.
Remarkable changes with new management and staff. They are helpful, friendly. Rooms are very nice and clean. We stay once a week now that management and staff changes. Close to many activities, from Pool to Dollywood .
Were heading home to Virginia from New Orleans and needed a place to stay overnight. Since I am a Best Western member we chose this property. The outside is a bit dated but the price was very reasonable for our stay. I wasn't expecting anything fancy but our room looked like it had recently been updated and was very nice and comfortable. There was a great restaurant right next door for breakfast that offered a discount for the hotel guests.
The shower handle was broken and had a rusted deadbolt in its place to use as a handle. The room door stopped about 3 inches from the ground, so all the noises/smells and light came directly into the room. The appliances (clock and lamp) were not plugged in. The TV had like 4 channels that worked. I booked this hotel when it was dog friendly, upon checking in they told me it was no longer pet friendly. When I booked it as such, and paid a higher price for the pet friendly room, when I arrived I was charged a second pet fee per day. Hotel was advertised with having free breakfast, which they did NOT have. However did have coffee available daily, first day it was room temperature. There was ZERO space to walk my dog, no grassy areas at all, I had to get in car and drive a mile or 2 up the road to walk my dog. The patio door had tape all around the door knobs and handles and was covered in paint. The hallways outside of our room where extremely dirty, you could easily see piles of dirt. The rooms are very loud, could hear everything from adjacent rooms and those above ours. The doors leading to exterior from hallways to parking lot, Had a key card to allow you in, but they were not functional. There wasn't a lock or even a latch, so no safety whatsoever. I will NOT stay here again. Very disappointed.
This was a basic hotel, no breakfast but they had the pool open. Daughter loved it. We could get a discount next door for breakfast. I think breakfast was not offered because they are remodeling. We had a balcony and that was great to sit out there in the evening and just relax. Fairly close to everything without being in the middle of chaos. We really enjoyed our stay. Room was clean beds were ok we all got a good night sleep. We would stay here again. Great price point.
The room was somewhat nice, the bathroom towel rack was broken, there was not any kind of Breakfast (the web site did not say anything about it). You got a discount nest door for Breakfast, after paying $200.00 a night, breakfast should have been included. The staff was very rude, the outside fire pit was broken. There was several stains on the carpet. My family and I will not stay here again.
The pool area was unkept, there were no towels in the pool area, we only had 1 towel and no bath mat in the room, the hotel staff wasn't friendly/welcoming, they had a hard time finding my reservation, also they have no breakfast.
I had called the reservation service because the hotels main line was not working and when I get to the hotel they can't find the reservation. The front desk wasn't helpful and he was very rude to us. Also they do not serve breakfast, they refer you across the road to the pancake place.
Beds were super firm like sleeping on the floor. Rooms were very clean. Internet was super fast. The 24 hour pool was very warm and full of kids late into the night. They didn't offer breakfast and I'm not sure why. They said it would be served next week which was not helpful since we were only staying one night.
The hotel is the most disgusting and dirty place that I have ever had the unfortunate experience of encountering. The lock to our room door was broken, the outside door did not sit properly in the door jam so it did not close. There was a horrible stain on the hall carpet, another horrible stain on the carpet in our room, the ice maker was leaking resulting in water accumulating too over the carpet. The cost of the room was $275.00 for one night. Only response from corporate was to give me a credit for 1/2 of the cost of the room toward another stay. Why would I EVER stay in another Best Western.
The first thing we noticed when we arrived was the stains on the comforter. This should have been the first red flag. We told front desk this, and they brought us a new comforter. Next, there were food items from the last guest in the refrigerator. One was plastic tray that was just clearly garbage and the other was a popsicle that had melted all over the inside of the fridge. Then there was what looked like cheeto dust inside the channel button of the TV remote. We went and bought our own cleaning supplies to clean this room because housekeeping obviously didn't. Due to covid, there was no breakfast, which is understandable. At check out, front desk was shown pictures of the unclean room and told me that all they could do for me was talk with housekeeping. Book somewhere else.
Rooms Where s clean up to date very clean hotel was very easy to find and quite and we rested well.. no breakfast but we received a 10% discount at restaurant next door .. staff was very polite and helpful with the area
Our stay was ok. Disappointed that breakfast was not served at the price of the stay. They did offer a 10% discount at the overpriced pancake place next door. It took us an hour to have pancakes. The pillows are tiny. I would recommend bringing your own and a blanket also.
We waited about 20 min for front desk clerk to come back to the desk, and was less than friendly. There were stains on the carpet in the hallways, the refrigerator in the room was had a loud rattle when it ran. The toilet seat was loose to the point of nearly falling off, one of the ice maker did not work and leaked all over the floor, and there were stains on the pillow cases as if they had not been cleaned!!!
The rear exterior door does not even shut completely much less lock. Homeless people hanging out in the back of the property. Rooms are very dirty and run down. Noisy. No breakfast options on property. Not even grab and go bags like most best westerns. Ridiculous price for this poor quality property
Old carpet, missing toilet holder, missing door between rooms, killed bug in room, no microwave, asked for the tile area to be mopped (sticky). 7 day stay. I have always enjoyed Best Western, not this time. Going down hill fast. Had to ask for room service!
This was probably the worst motel I have ever stayed in. The carpets were stained everywhere and downright nasty. The uncarpeted areas of the floor were covered with dried spots where beverages had been spilled. These were not fresh spills either. The floor in the bathroom looked as if somebody had just swept dirt into the corner and left it there. The security lock on the back door that is supposed to keep anybody without a room key had been completely broken off the door. It looked as if somebody had used a bar or some large pry bar to rip it off. The door would not even shut. If that wasn't enough there was no breakfast provided, only coffee was available. Breakfast is still listed as being served when you book through Best Western, but it isn't. I was told the restaurant next door would take a little off their menu price for guests, but I didn't bother. This place was the biggest dump I'd ever stayed in. It does not deserve to be listed as a Best Western Hotel. It was also the most expensive motel on my trip. It should be bulldozed down and somebody should start over with a new place.
Nice, nice young man at front desk but the room had a lot to be desired! Towel rack gone, Toilet paper dispensor gone off wall, brown ring around the bathtub, slow running drain in sink and bathtub, curtains hanging off the rod, problems with TV buffering, carpet filthy. Went down next morning to report all this---upon arriving back into the room that night NOTHING had been done-------nothing that we complained about. My husband went back down the next morning and spoke to a very nice lady and we requested to be moved to another room. She accommodated us right away and that room was a lot nicer but curtain hanging off rod here also, brown ring in tub. Very poor quality motel---looks like they are just letting it go. Certainly does not meet my standards for a Best Western
Constant issues with room key not working. Security poor as side entrance door lock didn't work and anyone can get into the building through the unlocked door. This hotel has recently been remodeled. I would not recommend staying here.
Positives: The staff was friendly, we stayed during the week and it was pretty quiet, it was located near everything we wanted to visit Negatives: The first night we were in three different rooms (the first room the shower didn't drain and the second room didn't have a working tv), the second day our room was switched again (tv issues again). It was extremely inconvenient to move a family of four three times in two days. We just stopped unpacking and lived out of suitcases. We did not ask but we're told we would get a discount for the inconvenience of moving so much. The next day we were told we would not get a discount because we booked through AAA. It was a frustrating ordeal. I don't think I'll be going there again.
Best Western is generally my choice for a stay. This stay was definitely NOT a disappointment. Clean facility, conveniently located, professional and friendly staff, online reservations and checking very efficient and easy! I highly recommend this BW for a stay when in the area.
The staff was friendly. And the room was clean. Loved the shower head, it's just about a rainfall shower head. The only reason it got a 3 star rating was that the carpets all thru the hotel and room was stained and they didn't have a Complimentary breakfast. They did give you a discount at the restaurant ( Flap Jack Pancakes ) next door . Plus they have white bedspreads and you could see the stains on them. Not sure why a hotel would have white bedspreads. The do have coffee 24/7 and the indoor pool was opened 24/7. The also had a fitness room. And you could hear the traffic noise.
Clean beds, but dirty facility. In desperate need of maintenance/upgrades. Broken exterior doors. Filthy stairwells and elevator. This is not a good example of what Best Western usually stands for. Disappointing and somewhat concerning stay at this facility.
I understand short staff and covid. But the toilet paper holder FELL out of the wall and you can tell it was previously attempted to be fixed. Dirty and over priced. Will not used this place again. Traffic was awful. No breakfast but you received a "discount" for restaurant next door that was PACKED bc all other hotel patrons and locals. Ended up eating at McDonald's. Bed skirt was dirty/stained. Curtain was broken and could not close the blackout curtains. Fridge froze everything. Sink was cracked/broken. Booked online on wed- stayed sat/sun nights. On sat price was 100 online and Sunday was 76. No price match/discount. Rip off.
I cannot express how disgusting is that hotel. Sinks and tubs clogged, worms crawling in the wall, roaches in the room, carpet in the rooms and hallways badly stained, furniture covered in dust…the list is huge and I could keeping going.,,
I left a review previously regarding this disgusting poor excuse of a hotel. Slum is more like it. Filthy room with filthy bed sheets and even a floating turd in the toilet. The room smelled like stinky gym socks. Needless to say we didn't spend the night and were promised a refund, which we never received. We even tried calling Best Western Hotels and still no help. We will never, ever stay in one of their hotels again! Poor maintenance and poor customer service.
This is my only option as we have a pet. The rooms are just ok, nothing fancy. They were clean, but the lock on the door .....the metal extra secure lock was broken off. The shower rain head is so high that as a short person, I had difficulty using it.
The bed was comfortable, but that was the only thing that I could say was good; but this could have been because I was exhausted by the time I got there. The room had not been thoroughly cleaned; toothpaste spots on counter and the shower didn't look scrubbed down. Left over piece of candy on the floor. I paid extra to stay here instead of our normal hotels and will not do it again. There also was no complimentary breakfast available; not even like a “grab and go” option. Not worth the money for the night.
We arrived late, but was greeted with a smile. The gentleman working was so helpful.Even offered us fresh coffee. The bathroom was updated to our surprise. Room was clean .our last stay at Best Western was in piegon forge and that was another good experience. Tried to stay at Myrtle beach but was booked. We take alot of spur if minute trips. We will stay at this one again again.
While we did not expect much from this hotel, we at least expected it to be somewhat clean, but it most certainly was not. Within our first 30 minutes in the room, we found a cockroach, a stink bug, and what I believe was a caterpillar. There were gigantic stains ALL OVER the carpeted floors. The phone was broken and the back was missing from the TV remote. The hotel itself smelled extremely musty and like mildew to the point that I was holding my breath walking through the hallways. A free continental breakfast was advertised, but we were told upon arrival that wasn't being offered anymore due to COVID. Instead we received a puny 10% off at the pancake house next door. We needed more towels and rags for our 3rd day there. Since the phone was broken, I went down to the front desk the night before and requested the towels and rags, was told they'd be up shortly, and then they never came. All in all, I paid way too much money for this hotel, and have absolutely no desire to stay in it again.
I booked this hotel because we stayed here a few years ago and it was good. This time the free breakfast that was advertised was not available. Deceiving. Then when I got to the room it reeked of a mildew smell. I pinpointed it to the shower curtain. They must never wash them. I went to the front desk and asked for Lysol and he reached behind the counter and handed me a spray deodorizer. I will not be back.
First room had worms and bathroom total disgust moved end table to look for an outlet to find a coke bottle dirty Kleenex and worms I can honestly say we were totally dissatisfied and will never go back to this location again.
This was the most disgusting place I have ever stayed I don't expect places that allow dogs to be perfect- but this was gross. Carpet ripped, moldy bathroom and a roach crawled in the dop kit. Never again
Don't stay unless you like smelly rooms and dirty sheets. The outdoor area was full of cigarette butts and garbage. The rates are good if you like staying in a pig stye. Don't stay here. It's awful. We left and stayed elsewhere. We were promised a refund but of course a flea bag hotel like this will lie to you. What a shame. We thought Best Western had a good reputation. This sealed the deal for us. No more Best Westerns for us. Ugh.
All exterior doors were smashed or broken with no security at all. The hallways were dirty and stained. The balcony door lock in my room was broken and I could not use the balcony. The bathroom ceiling had severe water stains and was falling apart. There was also dirt stuck in the corners of the tile floor. The front clerk was the only good thing about this place. He was efficient, pleasant and respectful.
Truck driver owner opportunities over the road stay at a lot of hotels very clean quite nice locations great employees clean rooms very help full shame no breakfast and fitness room closed down but very nice
Good, clean room, well set up. Only complaint was they advertise breakfast but there was little more than coffee. Would stay here again if close to this location. The best hotel we stayed at on our 5 days on the road.
Paid for breakfast, they don't even have grab and go and would not adjust my bill. Bugs and Mold in bathroom (I have pictures). Reserved balcony room was given a porch that guest park in front of and was told that's a balcony to them. When I asked to move room, was told there are no others. The carpet was very damp as was the bedding. Problems reported to staff who just said "ok". No one ever came to the room to check it out. Don't stay there unless your desperate and its only overnight.
No help at front counter, toilet had poop in it, shower had open soap and hair, dogs barking all day, no breakfast when advertised, smelly, pool was cloudy, door locks didnt work, definitely need help
We stayed 3 nights here and we're pretty disappointed. We stayed 1 night a month earlier, and everything was fine, so this was surprising. It took 3 tries to get into a room; 1st time, room had not been cleaned. 2nd time, different room, key cards wouldn't work. 3rd time we got in; room was clean, but towel rack was broke in the bathroom and no door hook on bathroom door, so no where to hang used towels to dry. Carpet had stains on it, door to the balcony would not open, so never got to use it. Went to use the fridge and there was an opened bottle of water that someone left. The drawers next to the fridge had food crumbs in them. The elevator floor was pretty dirty, and the ice machine on our floor didn't work. We reported alll the broken things to the front desk and they said they already knew about them. I would be hard pressed to stay here again as there are plenty of other choices in the area. Disappointing because we liked this hotel previously.
Hotel is very outdated and old, rooms need good cleaning and hotel needs a lot of fixes. Doors leading outside have no locks, the card scanner is there but there is no need because the doors just open up. Mold in the bathroom, holes in the bedroom wall. holes in the bedspread. Big stains on the rug. Heated pool is not heated by no means. Maintenance is really lacking in this hotel. They are also a pet friendly hotel yet they have one little patch of grass maybe 4x8ft. Not enough for one dog let alone multiple dogs. You either have to walk them down in front of the hotel by the road or in front of the restaurant or wait your turn. Mind you the black top is very hot and was burning my dogs paws.
Dirtiest Best Western I have ever stayed at. It was so dirty in the elevator, halls , outside. We went to 2 rooms and both were dirty. Floors were disgusting. Hair on pillows and towels. Trash between drawers.... it definitely was thee worse yet
The hotel was very clean and our room was very clean. Bed was extremely comfortable. Employees were very nice. The only issue we had was with the bathtub not draining properly but still a very enjoyable stay
Do not waste your time and money at this location. All employees are rude and could care less about helping guest. Breakfast was advertised yet none was offered ( i know this is not the standard at BW currently because I have stayed at other post pandemic). The rooms were gross, stains/dirt on our bedspread, no soap in room to wash our hands!!!
A very nice hotel on the outside of town away from the crowds. A very nice lobby/lounge area with an outdoor gathering area with a firepit. A very convenient breakfast restaurant right next door with excellent food. Our room was large and very roomy with a separate anteroom for the bathroom. We enjoyed our stay and would stay stay there again.
Amenities nonexistent pool not heated no breakfast no exercise room they sent use next door for breakfast we spent thirty dollars and they offer 10% discount I got that for being a veteran fireplace was leaking gas
our check in was great friendly gentleman and he was quick. our room was clean and appeared to be in good condition. we stayed three nights. On our second night we were greeted with alarms going off and had to leave the building. the fire and police came and checked the building and we were allowed to go back to our rooms. this is a nice hotel but there were problems with maintenance. the bathtub drain was clogged up and I had to fix it myself. when we packed up to leave we found a sleeve of crackers we had just bought had been partially eaten by mice. Not the best way to end our trip to the smokies and this hotel. regardless of the problems the front staff handled everything very well. the problems we found here were maintenance related and there is a need to address these issues. Clogged plumbing and vermin in the room is not acceptable in any hotel. We need some assurances that these matters will be handled. Thank you
Hotel is very dated and very used almost run down had bugs and worms in the room the next morning we had a 1st floor room with balcony and the threshold was gone which allowed outside bugs and worms in the room
The balcony doors didn't lock, the rooms did not have what we reserved, the person working the front desk did not care and did not try to resolve the situation! The phone had been removed out of one of the rooms and he wouldn't replace it Because they messed up our reservation, two people had to sleep on the floor!
We stayed here from Thursday- Monday. Not once did they take out trash or give us new towels for each day you have hunt them down to get these things. It isn't the cleanest but isn't the nastiest. I thought it was pretty cheap we paid $500 some for our stay but at $100 a night I feel like you shouldn't have to ask for them to service your room. I've stayed at a lot of hotels for pleasure and for work and I've never had to ask them to service the room that is what your paying for. Would I stay here again no but was it ok this time sure. Staff just act like they don't like there job. If you want to have to hunt someone down each day for new towels and come back to a messy room everyday and have a cheap stay with no breakfast included then this is the place for you . I left pictures of how we left room for maid we are very courteous people and just feel like we should have been treated better. And the luggage cart is on its last leg and only one for the whole hotel.
Overall good other than mold on ceiling over the tub. Clean property, clean room, comfortable bed. All wasn't bad other than the smell from the mold in the bathroom. Price wasn't bad either and guest services was pretty good also.
I don't like writing bad reviews but this place needs some serious cleaning and better staffing! The rooms were not clean! We had stains on the cover, plastic bags stuffed up in the curtain rods, clothes left in the drawers from previous guest, the alarm clock was broken and dried food hardened on it. The stairs inside were not swept and food laying on the floor in spots that been stepped on repeatedly. The windows everywhere were filthy with cob webs that had to have been there for a good while. We were even being stopped by other families visiting asking if our rooms were clean. Also to top it off at 9pm at night we had another family started to enter our room. Come to find out the front desk gave our room to another family as well. The front desk calls our room shortly after asking who we were in the room then proceeded to apologize that there was a mix up. They also stated on the website there was Free Breakfast. There was no breakfast so in exchange you get a 10% off the Flap Jacks nearby.
This hotel looks good from the street but is a disgrace to be affiliated with Radisson. I checked in for 2 nights. The room smelled like a wet dog. The a/c was stuck on high and had to wedge pillows over the vents. The second day we returned at 10:50 pm to find the key did not work. The lady at the front desk claimed we only booked one night. And essentially showed us the door. She was unapologetic and disinterested. She did not offer another room. I travel extensively and have never left a bad review for a hotel. Fair warning. Do not book here...
For the price I paid per night this was an ok place to sleep. We didn't choose this hotel for it's amenities but it would have been nice if we could have used the pool, the heater was not working. My curtain in my room was not working properly either. I couldn't get it to open or close all the way. The balcony from my room was not clean and I never even used it. One thing that really irked me was that anybody could come and go through out the building. The key card machine on the entrances was not working on any of the doors. I usually am one to take the stairs but once I found that out about the doors being "unlocked" I stopped using the stairs. If I ever have to stay in a hotel again in this area I probably won't stay here.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. First room I was in walked in and I about passed out from opening the door because it smelled like an ashtray. The bed sheets had a huge urine stay as big as the mattress and was covered in blood stains. Not sure how housekeeping missed that. 2nd room was covered in bugs; dead and alive. Crawling all over the floor. Not sure how housekeeping missed them as well. I couldn't even believe they would expect anyone to stay there. Front desk was rude and seemed like he was annoyed by having to help refund my money because of was highly disappointed and disgusted by the bugs in the room.
There were millipedes and carpet beetles, the shower broke, there was a weird smell. And no breakfast. When told the staff these issues, they were very nonchalant and couldn't care less, the attendant even rolled her eyes at me. I'm just unhappy with the stay for the high price i paid.
This hotel was perfect for our trip. Great value and location. Only complaint was that I wasn't told the room isn't cleaned daily and I had to request clean linen. Over all, the room was spacious, very clean and updated rooms.
The bed was very comfortable. The room and hotel were clean. Staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful. Everything in the room worked as expected. We didn't have the grab and go breakfast so unable to rate that. The hotel was close to a variety of restaurants although the desk clerk was unfamiliar with most.
If you go out on the balcony there is a lot of road noise, but you can't hear it inside. Rooms are nice. Parking is a bit tight unless you park in the very back but yeah its an alright place to stay..
This lodging is clean, spacious, and very quiet. It is value priced and the staff is courteous and friendly. It is sufficiently distant to avoid the noise and traffic of Pigeon Forge. However, it is only 15 minutes away from ALL the action.
Stayed overnight with my wife. Very comfortable hotel. The only negatives I have are small. 1) They need a new luggage cart. 2) A few spots needed cleaning on the grout in shower (not really bad but I'm a stickler on clean grout—ask my wife!). I've stayed in hotels that were double the price and they weren't as nice, clean and well-apportioned as this one. Wish the breakfast was available, but they gave a 10% discount for Flapjacks, the restaurant right next door. :)
So dirty. Had to get a dustpan and brush from the front desk to clean before we could unpack. Hair everywhere. Then there was no breakfast except chips and water, and I was double charged and had to call to get a refund. I wished I could've gotten the whole stay refunded!
We found that this inn was very conveniently located right off of the Interstate and near restaurants. It was reasonably priced, considering that it was a Friday night stay. I've stayed at many of the basic Best Western properties. This was among the best I've stayed in. The place appeared to be well maintained. There was a large, attractive indoor pool. The guest room had a decent mattress. The carpeting was pretty. We thought that the room size was spacious, and bathroom was, too. Our view through the window was of trees and grass and nothing else. If you find highway noise annoying while in your room or sleeping, be sure to ask for a room away from the busy highway that passes by the inn. We got a room (at our request) away from the highway of the inn and it was quiet. It's time, Best Western, to crank up those waffle makers and give guests something besides the Fritos and water that were offered to us in the morning! I have traveled extensively over the past 12 months around the country and I've been to many hotels that have served breakfast. It can be done. I would have given this inn a better rating if they served breakfast. As one of the nicer BW I've stayed in, I'd definitely stay again while in the area, if they served breakfast. Electric vehicle owners will appreciate the charging station.
Nice looking, fairly new hotel that misses on every point. The vagrants seemed to own this place when we stayed, trash in the halls, elevators were a dirty sticky mess parking lot was filthy. When you rent or allow drug addicts to stay here live in the parking lot, it is a clear message that you dont want your business to succeed. There is no Security, no housekeeping, and obviously no management present here or these things would not occur. The elevator kept us up all night as it was extremely loud, couldn't wait to leave. Someone defecated on the floor near the elevator and it was left their all night, as we left we could hardly stand the smell as we loaded our car, unfortunately we had to make 4 trips past this area as it was the only way out to the parking lot.
I would stay here again for the price, It was OK. great location to main highways. Could have been a little cleaner. everyone was very kind.and helpful with attractions in the area. It was nice to get a discount to Flapjacks next door.
The room was so nice, clean, and attractive, with everything we needed. The front desk staff were polite and helpful. The location was convenient to interstate and baseball stadium. I would definitely stay here again!
Firm mattresses, good bedding, good water pressure. All appliances work. Good balconies. Usually a good price. This is a perfectly good place to stay in a good area. We stay here several times a year and like it.
No breakfast as in description, unless you count the restaurant next door that is packed pretty much the whole time it is open. Indoor pool is so disgusting you can't even see the bottom....it looks like pond water. All interior carpet is dirty and stained and should be replaced. Only positive thing I can really say is the pillows are fluffy and shower has great water pressure. Would not stay again. Really far from attractions if that's what you're looking for.
Guests at check in with cable box(4), clogged toilets(3), and a dirty room with other guests clothes left behind 4 hours after they checked in. Do not need to know about the person that checks us in problems with work hours. I know it's friendly and conversation. Mold on ceiling in bathroom around vent. Noisy. Neighbor beating on door and yelling at 5am to get in and no one let them in. Kids running down the halls beating on the doors (I know this is out of their hands). Kids swimming at 1am. Fridge no good. Card did not work on 2nd night. Went to get fixed and was just handed a card to open any room with no questions asked and told the system was down. Anyone could enter the door by the elevator on 1st floor without a card. People trying to get in our room before we checked out. $178 for 2 nights was not too bad, but not worth the trouble. Did not report anything. Was ready to go.
The hotel was overall a decent hotel. The lobby area was nice. I needed to print something for an interview and in our rooms there was a paper with all of the amenities, printing being one. I went downstairs to print and was rudely told that it's not available. I brushed that off. Upon checking in our rooms, the carpet, walls, and curtains had red stains all over them. I'm not sure what it was but it looked like they needed replacing and a new paint job. Breakfast does not exist- it is advertised which is one of the reasons we booked this hotel. When I went downstairs the owner told me that they couldn't because of covid protocols. Every other hotel I stay at has given us as least a coffee and a granola bar. I was extremely disappointed. I forgot to mention- at 11pm there were a group of people outside doing fireworks in the hotel parking lot.
I was over charged by $25.00 at check in. After proving that I was offered a lower price the charge was reduced. A continental breakfast was advertised but actually did not exist. Housekeeping did not properly clean our pet friendly room. The room had a dog odor and hair in the bathtub. I have stayed at several pet friendly hotels and di not experience pet odors. Fortunately we travel with Lysol.
We stay at Best Western properties frequently. Our one night stay at this motel was disappointing. I'll start by saying the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. That's clearly important for an overnight stay when we arrive late and leave early the next morning. The room was spacious as well. And the location, right off I-40, is convenient. However, there were a number of issues that ensured we will not stay here again. First, despite the fact that the hotel website noted that no breakfast would be offered. Here are my issues with this: first, the desk clerk was not wearing a mask, so I don't think the hotel was concerned with COVID precautions. Second, if this fact had been disclosed at the time of the reservation, we could have stopped at a store to grab breakfast items prior to checking in. As it was we arrived very late, so ended up stopping at a grocery store for yogurt, juice, and a box of spoons. And we ate in the car. There were also a couple of issues with our room. First, there were stains on the carpet and the cover on the box springs was torn. Just looked poorly maintained. The biggest issue was that the heater rattled loudly. We chose to keep it off so we would sleep, so we ended up sleeping in an uncomfortably cold room. The bottom line is that in an area with an abundance of hotel rooms in the same price, I would never choose this particular hotel again.
No microwaves in room, pool was broken, room key worked intermittently, doors didn't close properly and allowed light into room. Breakfast arrangements were unacceptable, the alternative due to covid was just cancel breakfast and offer a 10 percent discount at the overpriced flapjacks next door. Room was very clean, but I'll pay more to stay somewhere else in the future.
Freezing pool and pool area, dirty room, torn carpet with tacks sticking up that stabbed me in the foot, checked out after only a few hours and received only partial refund. Should I have inspected everything before checking in? I expected a full refund.
Hotel was kept nice and clean, but there was a huge crack and damage to the sink. Multiple areas drywall was coming down from water damage. It felt like it was not in great shape. It was clean but didnt feel like it was in great shape. Pool heater was out and no breakfast due to covid. The amenities that came with the price were not able to be utilized.
I have stayed at this location twice in the past month. Shanikah has checked us in and out both times. She is always smiling and polite. If you travel much you know how rare that is to find when checking in or out. The rooms are clean the beds are firm but soft.
Experience was great. The only comment I would add is that we stayed in a suite and still had to set shampoo and body wash in the corners of the tub. Add a corner caddy. Other than that no complaints.
Room's carpet was frayed. But my big complaint was breakfast. The sign outside said hot breakfast. This helped make the choice between a couple of hotels. After check-in, the clerk says there is no breakfast due to covid, but can go next door to the crowded pancake house and get a 10% discount. The video playing on the wall showed grab and gos... nope nothing... So why not change the sign!!! This has been going on for months and months. This is not a new situation. Its basically false advertising!!! Could and should have changed their sign. We would have stayed somewhere else.
This property is filthy!!!! We ended up going elsewhere for the night because we wouldn't have been able to sleep. There was a moldy bug on the windowsill along with mold on the sill. I have a picture. The garbage wasn't taken out from previous guests. The carpet wasn't even attached to the floor. The hallways haven't been vacuumed in years. The elevator was moldy.
Hello all, We booked a room here for the first time and last time in the fall of 2020 and were very disappointed. The room we were put in had a strong foul odor that hit us upon entry that wasn't pleasant or inviting. The room itself had filthy carpet with burns and stains on it. After about on hour of walking around the room in white socks the bottoms turned brown, gross! The door to the balcony had a large void underneath it letting the cold air and road noise in. We took a bath towel and rolled it up and blocked this gap. The front door frame was also poorly sealed and you could easily hear outside visitors and likewise they could easily hear you inside so there wasn't much privacy. Moving on to the bathroom. It was not a clean place to speak of either. The shower had black mold around the perimeter of the tub where the caulking met the tile. Around the water valve ring was disgusting black mold and soap scum just hanging from the bottom of it. The bath mat had hair and stains on it like it was used by the last guests. After discovering this we told the front dest about it and they offered to move us to another room. They handed us a room key to go and see if it was more acceptable for us. The new room was in the same condition so we declined the move as it was late and we had just driven from out of state to get there were already unloaded into the room and were tired. On night two we had our friends kids stay in the extra bed. The next morning when we got up one of the kids knocked a bed pillow onto the floor. And much to our disgust it had what looked to be blood stains on it. The kids we perfectly fine and weren't bleeding anywhere and were freaked out by this discovery as we were. After this we had enough and went to the front desk to check out and find a better place to stay. We explained our disappointment to the nice lady at the front desk and she said she wasn't surprised at all. There has been many complaints from other guests and she said the owners won't spend the time or money to make this better for the guests. She gave us a decent price discount and apologized for our disappointment. The only nice things I could say about the hotel is that it was recently given a facelift and looked decent on the out side. The staff were always friendly when passing by them in the lobby and the lady we met on our departure was very nice. So if you are a person that cares about cleanliness or have allergies do not even think about staying here. If your exhausted and just want to crash on a bed and aren't that picky you'll probably find a vacancy available and will be fine. There's more things we noticed and took picture documentation of that we could mention but I think I've said enough to help another potential guest make a decision to stay here or not. Thank you
Our TV couldn't connect to the satellite & when staff couldn't fix it we were immediately moved to another room. The only problem with the new room was the bathroom sink was slow to drain. The bed was incredibly comfortable & the water pressure in the shower was better than most hotels.
The stay was perfect for our getaway. We enjoyed the stay at this location. We were able to easily exit the location. The decor was nice the customer service when we checked in was simple even during covid.
Bed Bugs!!!!! Don't EVER STAY HERE!!!! And they didn't want to return my money for my stay!! While staying here for my sons football tournament it was thanksgiving and nowhere to stay because I would have left!!! My daughter had bites!!!
Worst place i have ever stayed in my life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! carpets were nasty rooms smelled german roaches in rooms german roaches were in hall ways please for you own sake go down the road find you anither place to stay
Whatever you do, don't let them put you in Room 221 - at least not if you want to sleep... This room is adjacent to the laundry, and we were awakened about 2am by loud noises of water rushing and laundry machine thumping. It went on for more than an hour. Why would you run the laundry next to guest rooms in the middle of the night?! Other aspects of the stay were OK - nothing awful, nothing special. Disappointed that they had NO breakfast at all because of covid. They could have let us grab some pre-packaged muffins or granola bars.
We checked in and my husband asked for a cart and the check in girl sort of explained where it was . He spent 5 minutes looking for it. He found it loaded it up and entered hotel lobby where same staff member proceeded to scold/speak in a degrading tone to my husband. It was like a child being berated in front of entire family and other guests. Rude and embarrassing. We tried to find entrance outside and it was on the other end of building. He Had to push cart all the way down hall when our room was above lobby. She was rude and unprofessional. If that is how you treat guest who paid for two nights, then no thank you. We cut down stairs and through lobby and again she glared and went to scold him again, but thought better of it when I made a smart comment. Room you could hear everything. Bathroom nasty.
the room was sketchy. you can hear literally everything outside the door. barely anything in the room. no decorations. it felt like a low end hotel/ motel. the staff was not helpful. when asked for an additional towel, the staff member was HIGHLY rude. probably won't stay here again. bad experience. there were other hotels in the area that i would try over going here again. it's a great location but horrible quality.
The location of the hotel is right off of the expressway, which is nice. If you're ready for a visit to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, it's nice to be out of the real touristy area. We arrived and got our keys, only to find that our room was already occupied! Then the keys for our newly assigned room didn't work. Since the room we paid for was not the room we got, we were offered a credit. I'm waiting to see when it does arrive (I was told it might take some time so I'll see). The room itself was ok, nicely decorated, but just some details were missed--like the curtains were falling off of their hooks. There is a balcony for most, if not all of the rooms, but as far as I'm concerned, it is just another way to let in cool air and road noise. I could have done without it. We also had to ask for an iron and the staff was not wearing masks. I am not sure that we would stay here again. The price was a little high for what you get and it could have been the timing of our stay. Not sure.
Very dirty carpeting both in the rooms and in the hallways. Stained ceiling. Dirty and stained bedding. I doubt that they were washed as we even noticed what appeared to be pubic hairs on a sheet. Will not stay at this hotel again. They should remove all it's stars.
Upon opening the door there was a large stain on the outdated indoor/outdoor carpet, receipt under the heat unit from prior quest, mold on grout in bath, king size bed with 3 flat pillows, tv signal (would not give you 2 cent for. beautiful open fire pit w/furniture, large bath counter but will not stay here again.
Not great. Noticed a lot of black mold in the bathroom. Found several bugs in the room. Hotel was quiet. Bed was comfortable. Just worried about bugs crawling on me while I slept. So if you can sleep through that. We alerted staff about the issues who said "I'll let them know" but seemed to be more just shrugging off the complaint. I'd recommend booking a nicer hotel.
The location is great. It is right off the interstate and just a few short minute to all of the attractions. The front desk and housekeeping staff are great. There are several place to eat at in the area. The rooms are very clean and stock with all your need and the beds were very comfortable.
We took a quick detour and drove through Gatlinburg up to New Found Pass on our way to Virginia. This Best Western was great as it was just a stoplight a way from Hwy. 40 East. The Hotel room was very clean. The hotel clerk who checked us in had a great personality and very informative about policies and amenities. I think the only recommendation I would make is that BW should make a community microwave accessible for guests or make it available upon request. For the purposes of our overnight stay, this place was clean, safe, and will definitely book again when we pass through.
When I book hotels, I try to stick with the Marriott or Hilton Brand because service is consistent. My boyfriend booked the Bestwestern. The room was ok, but service and cleanliness was bad. Upon entering the hotel, I had to clean out the tube due to a ring around the tub and hairs in the tube before taking a shower. There is a huge sign on the entry door that states mask must be worn at all time. Well the ladies on the night shift did not wear a mask at all. I was there October 21-23, the ladies did not wear a mask. I travel for work and stay in hotels often and that was the first time that the front desk night staff did not wear mask especially since there are signs throughout the hotel that say a mask must be worn due to Covid19 precautions. There are 2 computers in the lobby. I needed to print and came downstairs at around 10pm to print only 1 page. Well it took me about 30 minutes to get the computer going with no assistance from the front desk(didn't really want there help anyways since they weren't wearing a mask). Once it finally started working, the night staff said that the computer was not hocked up to a printer.???? I just went back to my room. Every hotel that I have ever stayed that has complementary computers always had a printer hooked up. I mean really, I can surf the net on my phone....never again!!!!!!!! My first and LAST Bestwestern Experience
Overall the hotel wasn't bad. Location was good. They didn't have the free breakfast but gave a 10% discount if you ate at Flap Jack next door. Our room was okay. The floors needed to be vacuum but overall okay. Staff was really friendly and made sure that we had everything we needed.
The rooms are disgusting! The staff is not helpful. They do not clean the rooms like they should be. The phone does not work and clearly we were not in the laundry room yet that is what the phone said. Their luggage carts were either broken or damaged. When contacting the hotel management the only thing they want to do is 20% back of our hotel cost. Not acceptable in my opinion!!! Do not waste your money on this hotel!
Only stayed for one night but we were very impressed with this hotel. Very comfortable and had everything we needed. Perfect area with many things to do and places to eat nearby. If we're ever in the area again we'll be sure to stay here!
Rented 2 rooms. We paid an additional $20 per night for the “breakfast package” that included free breakfast with our stay. #1 no breakfast Room #1 we had my mother in law and her mother staying in. Someone had removed the entire inside of the door lock. The only lock that was working on their door was the bar that goes across. They complained to an AA employee who was taking a personal phone call at the time. That employee held her hand up to my grandmother and told her she needed to wait (90yr old senior) then told her no other rooms were available she would have to deal with it. Put her in TEARS. Room #2 our room had thick black mold growing throughout the entire bathroom. Floors, walls, all cracks and crevices in the shower and all over the ceiling. I informed the same employee after checking in and was told I didn't “pay” for a cancellation and I could leave if I wanted but would still be charged ($108 for one room $142 for the other). FURIOUS!! Upon checkout the next day there was just a box up front that said key cards here. I waited over 10 minutes (10:15am) for someone to come to the front desk- nothing. I returned at 10:45 to check out of the 2nd room and the employee was outside on her cell phone cursing and smoking. I brought up the multiple issues to her. She told me she was normally a night watch. And that she would have a manager call me FIRST THING MONDAY MORNING and issue a refund back to me. Monday came and went- no call, no resolution. My husband is now suffering from sinuses and allergies due to the terrible conditions of the room we were forced to stay in. Stay away from this hotel.
This room was very nice, very clean and was half the price of a comparable room at another hotel I stayed at. The property is very clean and updated and I'd definitely stay here again. I loved the argan oil soaps, shampoo and conditioner as well.
Bad first. no continental bkfst due to covid. Hit or miss room cleaning we received none. Had to go to main downstairs attendant at the desk for towels, kleenex refills, and TP. Word document signs on plexiglass as to why there was no room cleaning/straightening/bed-making service due to the Rona. The bed and tv service was nice. Balcony nice except for cobwebs on lights. My kid hooked his nintendo switch to the tv and played fortnite like he was at home. Pizza hut delivered last night. The ladies working front desk were overworked due to no room service attendants.
Rooms are very dirty, old building, stains on floors, rooms need up dated, high priced for what you do not get. No Hot Breakfast at all, Owner is not friendly towards people of other colors. It is sad. DO NOT STAY THERE AT ALL. The owner Neil is NOT a nice man. Check the beds for bed bugs, check behind the doors for dirt, also check the air conditioning unit, some bugs, spiders, and cockroaches.
Needed to get out of town for a few days and landed here. Was cheaper than pigeon forge and not that much further out. Everything was clean the only thing was the room didn't have a microwave. Will stay again.
Went to this hotel due to the review ratings. That was a mistake that I didn't read the reviews before booking. Was given door cards to get into room and they didn't work. The doors are unsecured to get in to the property. The door to the balcony in the room only had a safety latch to secure from outside. Deadbolt didn't work. Just spun around. Then in the morning there was a COCKROACH on the wall next to the sink! Went to the front desk to let them know about the bug and to check out. Was told that they have been told that they only had TWO cockroaches found before I mentioned and that they had someone coming soon to take care of the problem. She said they couldn't discount my stay since I paid from online website. I didn't even ask for a discount yet. She said I needed to talk with my online provider and they would have to contact them for any discount. Again I didn't ask yet. Then I asked for receipt and they said I don't get one since it was an online reservation and I already paid. However this property has no problem charging your credit card $25 above the room rate for damages. Then state that that charge would be reversed later after check out. Was told at check in and check out that would be taken care of the day of checkout. WRONG! Still on my card 18 hours since checkout. How is Best Western associated with this property. STAY AWAY!
Positives- location was great to quick access to highway and Pigeon Forge (28 min) and Gatlinburg (38 min). Air conditioning worked great & helped cool down our room on the hot 98 degree days. Pool is open 24hrs. Parking is plentiful. Negatives- Furnishings are updated but poorly maintained. Lots of stains to carpeting and bedding. Lack of towels and toiletries unless you go to desk & ask. Television not working - reported to desk. Given additional remote but still could not get to work so went without for 4 day stay. Bathroom with black mold and rust colored spots to grout. Booked on Booking.com with no prepayment per listing however, contact via email day before to pay one night stay to hold BY 1pm or reservation would be cancelled. Usually I check email but we were already on vacation elsewhere & does my activities all day. Had my SIL not seen email my reservation I booked months in advance would have been cancelled... Ok stay for the little time we were there.
Stayed in South Nashville then came to this one next night. This one far exceeded the one in South Nashville. Stayed during Coronavirus precautions where taken by hotel and everything was perfect. Bed was comfortable and room was clean.
Paid for the room via third party and when I arrived the front desk staff told me that I hadn't paid and then said it only should paid for one night.. attempted to collect additional payment from me which I purposely moved out of the acct in fear that it would happen. Got to my room and it was not clean. Looks like the bed was the only thing Changed along with the trash. Previous guest left a half gallon of milk in the fridge and it was dirty. Crumbs in the dresser and on the floor and the night stand had water marks Obviously skipped. Front desks initial response was very unprofessional and lacked empathy and care. Didn't offer an apology and said it was a new housekeeper that they didn't even have in the system yet. Immediately after I complained she looks at me and says “ so you're telling me that you want To check out.” And I'm like no and an apology is in order first but I gave them a chance to rectify the situation while I stepped out for food only to come back to find 3 of the items undone! Another call and someone came for the milk container. Was told I'll get a credit for the night stay since we were staying for two nights. I chucked it up since I had my 7 week old daughter and it was 12 midnight. The hotel was fully booked so I couldn't get another room. Next day I got my own cleaning products because I'm sure it hasn't been disinfected and COVID is very much real! Checked out to find a bill generated in error showing my credit and but since it was booked with a third part booking site the credit could not be applied. Was told the manager would be on staff at 3 and needed to handle it because unfortunately Lisa and Tina made Hugh errors! So I called at 430 and spoke to McKenzie who apologized but then informed me that instead of the night stay they were going to credit they are only doing 10% off the first night!!! I was driving back home by this time with my children in the car so I couldn't not express my true concerns at the time. Idk how it went from the 1st night credited to 10% and then 20% which would have been $24 smh. Called The third party and they couldn't do anything until it was approved by the manager. I am Beyond upset and disappointed. Took a chance to venture out and had a very unpleasant experience. If you are concerned with public safety and the attempts these places are making during Covid dont visit this hotel. Linen towels looked dingy and they do not offer daily housekeeping during your stay. I wish I never stayed there
Terrible customer service from the front desk staff. Probably the worst customer service experience I've ever had at a Best Western. Unacomidating and extremely unprofessional. The girl at the front desk was nowhere to be found for 15 minutes while I waited to check-in. No explanation or apology was given. I've stayed in over 50 Best Westerns traveling for work and this was by far the most unpleasant experience I've had at one. Loud noises from other guests throughout the entire night, people smoking weed in the parking lots, and guests at the hotel screaming at each other in the parking lot at 4:00 in the morning were only some of the things I experienced here. Overall, stay somewhere else and save yourself from this terribly run property.
This is for 3385 Winfield Dunn Pkwy location. After 8pm cannot enter without climbing some stairs or using a ramp then walking a distance to the elevator. Carpeting throughout soiled and dirty. Our room also seemed dirty. my sister refused to go barefooted. Not 1 extra towel or washcloth in the room. no blow dryer even though bag for it was there. floor and carpeting disgusting. Sign said all workers would be wearing masks but they were not. Toilet seat not connected properly and we told them. Supposedly fixed but by morning sliding around again and nearly fell off!Would not recommend
Well let me start out with the positive. The room was nice and spacious and had a nice balcony. It was also a great idea that the pool was open 24 hours. The room was also clean at first glance. I pulled back the sheets and noticed a dried blood stain. I didn't want to go down and complain over one thing. We decided to go down to the pool later. As soon as We get into the water it's absolutely freezing. To the point where it's not even bearable. We weren't able to use the pool the whole time we were there and tried on several occasions. Then they only gave us 3 pillows for two people (plus the original 3 pillows in room were very flimsy) I finally wanted to say something to the staff then about the Dried blood, the pool, the pillows. I told one of the staff members who was incredibly rude. They basically said there is absolutely no way to get another pillow. I tried to ask different staff about the same issues just to see if we'd get different answers. It was always a different answer or a different lie from staff. Also manager said they couldn't heat the pool Because of Covid. However other employees said the heat pump was broke. We also called around after just to prove a point everyone else's indoor pool is heated at this time. Plus not even to mention the extremely nasty manager.
Rooms were gross. Carpets looked as if there was a murder. We had a "pet" room, which we had to try 3 different ones due the strong smell of urine. Hotel looks nice but beware they clearly have low standards of cleaning.
My wife and I were traveling on a 12 hour trip and decided to get a room after 6 hours so we booked it online the price was cheap and now I know why. When we arrived the door to the lobby was locked and no one was at the desk after calling several times no one answered and we finally had to leave, very tired and angry. When we called the headquarters office they said we would have to call the next day. Terrible terrible
No problems here. Clean and everything works. Reasonably priced, Decently firm beds. soft bedding. Heat and air work well. I found the balcony pleasant for sitting out and reading, At the moment there is no microwave, but that's just because of pandemic measures.
This is a nice and clean hotel. The staff is great and genuinely cares about your stay. The location is very convenient whether passing thru or for Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg. Trust me - you will not be disappointed. It is an incredible value as well!
My family really enjoyed our stay at this property! Breakfast was great, the staff was excellent and extremely friendly, and I LOVE that the pool was 24 hours! That's so rare to see and my family really enjoyed that! Will definitely return to stay again!
We were traveling on vacation and this was a good place to stop. We were very pleased with our stay. The room was clean, and the staff was pleasant and helpful. i especially enjoyed the heated indoor pool since it is February and we are from New York. The breakfast was the usual fare, nothing special. The only complaint is that the pillows were uncomfortable. They were lumpy and hard which is unusual for a Best Western. My husband gets headaches when his pillow is not right. Otherwise, i would definitely recommend this hotel.
I'm not one to complain much but had to relay my stay for everyone. Long black hair on the bathroom floors. Breakfast old and gross, even made the manager gag out loud. Pool stunk like dirt and indoor heated pool cold.
We stayed here in November for my son's 13th birthday trip. The staff was amazing and the hotel is very nice! Big spacious rooms and a nice cozy breakfast area. They have a huge pool and a really nice firepit outside! Can't wait to stay here again!
The hallways and elevator lobbies were disgusting. All the floors were stained and had things spilled on them, very obvious spills and stains. Our room smelled disgusting, the front desk told us just to take the air fresheners out of the hallways to put in our room. It was not a good experience.
The location was right on the parkway into pigeon forge. Lots of resturants and shops. # things i did not like is: 1. water did not get hot enough and was cool by the time my husband showered.2. the heat did not get hot enough as they have a "Cap" on the heat thermometer and 3. stains on the carpet with hair in various places on the floor and in the shower and vanity area. one thing I did like is that the sink is separate from the bathroom. that way I can do my hair while not taking up the shower/toilet area. Fridge is in the room but Microwave is on first floor in the breakfast room if you will need to reheat something
Took my son for a weekend trip to just get away for a few days. The staff were Very respectful the Manager, she was great and very helpful. Really clean rooms and pool area was nice. Look forward to going back this spring/summer. I would highly recommend someone staying there
I stayed Kodak/Sieverville because I was involved with major damage to my RV and Truck due to hitting a very large pothole in Knoxville. Sieversville is the closest repair facility. BW lowered my stress.
They didnt not keep this hotel clean at all. We had black mold in our shower area and the toilet never got cleaned in the 5 days we were there, The hallways we diry and the tile areas never cleaned or moped in the 5 days that we were there either, We will never stay at this hotel again and this was our 3rd time we stayed there.
Stayed in a Pet Friendly room. The carpets were so stained we had to put sheets on the floor. And the odor was horrible. It was for the Thanksgiving holiday and we had 4 other families there also so we stayed. ONLY REASON
Was our favorite hotel. Last 2 times here poor service. Only put 3 pillows on bed asked for another was told we were only allowed 3 This time dirty towels left in room. Only 1 of each size towel and 1 wash cloth. Not sure if what but not the great place we stayed at for years.
The hotel was clean and comfortable. Easy access to and from the interstate. Several restaurants nearby, and gas stations as well. Staff members were friendly. Check-in was efficient and breakfast was simple but adequate. Very pleased.
Poor security,Paul card activated doors were broken, literally falling apart, very shorthanded cleaning staff, one man and woman team to clean all rooms on second and third floor so this self explains the cleanliness and a very grouchy manager. This was a long overdue Family reunion, which your Motel became a very extensive family topic
l havent seen my sister in 20 years she saved to come see mostly complained about best western nov 25 stayed 2 days no pool all breakfast eaten by team running halls all night no manager on sight saw one person working if you have that big event maybe you could have planned some no pool no service no food poor way to run a bussines stop apologising for your scew ups how about a refund too many people had a crap time at your so called bussiness your apology worthless to people with ruined vacations
The hotel is a nice hotel in a great location, however the rooms were poorly cleaned (I had a blue stain on my sheet all 3 days I was there, after the room was cleaned twice.). Pool was shut down the whole time we were there. Somebody forgot to order a food truck so there wasn't a continental breakfast. A hotel with potential yet failed to provide.
This wasn't a bad stay, but overall wasn't what I'd expect from Best Western. The room was clean and comfortable, but a number of things were below expectation. The facility itself was showing its age and wear – not one big thing, but a number of little ones – porcelain chips missing from the tub, striker plates missing from the hall carpets where all the fire doors latch, worn and snagged carpet in the halls, dirty bare wood stairs to the first floor, toilet was wobbly, etc. Breakfast had no attendant, just a note to notify the front desk if anything ran out or if you spilled something they need to clean up. In our room, the coffee pot was missing parts so it was useless, and the TV wouldn't turn on. We notified the front desk the morning after our first night about the coffee pot and TV, and nothing was fixed when we got back in the evening. To her credit, I notified the evening desk clerk of those two problems the second evening, and she got right on it and fixed both…but shouldn't have had to, as they should've been right to start with, and if not, should have been fixed when the morning desk clerk was advised. Only 1 bar of soap between the bathroom and shower, and none provided the second day. We asked for a blanket, and were given one with holes and burn marks on it. The last thing, which can't really be corrected easily, but it was noisy – the 1” gap under the corridor door, and light all the way around it, also let every little sound from the hallway in, and even exterior noises – normal conversations in the parking lot outside were plainly audible. Perhaps the least-quiet hotel I've been in in recent years. So while there wasn't any single, big problem, the overall stay lacked the excellence I have come to expect from a Best Western facility.
This hotel had a large group of children from a school .Kids were running and screaming in the halls. The walls are so thin that other people's TV could be heard. The breakfast room floor was so sticky you stuck to it. There was very little food to choose from. Our room had large stains on the floor. But the most disturbing issue was a guest told that another guest had a room card key that opened other people's rooms. He did report it.
Checked in for 2 nights, but checked out after the LOOOOONNNNGGGGG HORRIBLE EXCRUCIATING first night. Apparently a group was at the hotel and we were not given the option of being placed in a room away from them. The children were continuously in/out of their rooms, running up the hallways, and screaming until past 11pm. One woman eventually came out to deal with the children and screamed (very loudly) for them to get back in their M*** F***g rooms, but still did not stop them from continuing to do it. Extremely horrible night, especially when you are traveling with a very young child. Apparently due to the amount of people/the group, they only offered a "limited" breakfast, so we had a muffin and juice and no apology about it. Other slight issues with AC/Heat unit and the door. AC/Heat was set on cool but had a hot smell to it, so we just turned it off. The door had to be pushed/pulled hard to actually latch or it would be able to be opened without turning the handle. At check-out, no one seemed to care why we were even checking out early. So I guess the profit of a big group beats renting 1 room for 2 nights. Note: I never leave reviews because issues aren't always the business's fault, however, apparently other people had the same issue and they made it known.
The staff at Kodak, TN Best Western were great. Wonderful with helping us with directions to the places we wanted to visit. And, they all were very happy to help. We really appreciate that because it is ugh when it seems like the employees hate where they work. But, all were smiles at this Best Western. One thing though, and I didn't even mention it to the manager, that our room wasn't as clean as we are used to at Best Western. The mirrors were not cleaned, a small bit of trash was on the floor (nothing gross) and the corner of the bathtub had soap residue from a bar of soap that was there previously; it was blue. Besides that our stay was fun.
We found this close to interstate for quick on and off but too far from shopping. Very nice firepit that was enjoyed during evening hours. The room was large and a pleasant surprise. Breakfast was very good with plenty of seating.
Title says it all. Taj Mahal with cheap affordable pricing. A little away from all the hustle and bustle but next to interstate 40 but far enough away not to hear any noise. Overall you can't get better than this for the money!
We arrive around 5pm and waited over 15 min just for the girl behind the counter to get off the phone and acknowledge us. Once we got her to speak to us we had reserved a suite. The girl had us sign a few things then proceeded to tell us that we have to put a card in the window or we would towed. She explains to us how to get to our room and was being rude about it. We decided to check the room 1st and then move our stuff in. I am so glad we did because the room wasn't what we expected. The suite was two rooms but only had a tv. My husband walked to the bathroom and I noticed that there was still soap not in the wrapper laying on the sink. He looked down and there was #2 still in the toilet. I was done! We went back down to the front desk to get another room. The girl said that there were no other rooms like the one we wanted. She offered us a regular room at a 10% discount. Umm no. She didn't offer to have the room cleaned or anything else. We left and found a better hotel.
The amenities in the room worked good. The service was ok.The rooms was warm and clean. The location was in a good spot. Parking was terrible and not enought Handycap spots. The free breakfast was bad and food was cold. I requested a microwave in room when booking our room online. They told me to use the one in lobby when we checked in. Plus I am totally handycaped and cant walk.
Front desk helped at booking to arrange the 2 rooms across the hall from eachother. When we checked in, we noticed the living room of the suite did not have a TV and the sofa faced an empty entertainment center. Asked about it and was told it was being repaired and unavailable. We specifically booked a suite room so we would have a place to use the TV with extended family and kids that was not ON our bed. They told us the room had already been discounted for the problem, but we reserved online and it wasn't disclosed that there was a problem. Not happy with how they didn't care if we were satisfied and wouldn't change rooms or discount for us.
1st room and 1&2 floors smelled like dog urine. 2nd room smelled like rotten feet and kept getting bitten by something mites or fleas. 3rd room was better but no where was very clean. Bath rooms had mold in the grout. And ceiling was taped together in 2nd room. Didn't stay in 1st room because the smell took your breath.
Everything at this hotel is fine. Clean, comfortable, functional. Mattresses were firm and bedding was smooth and nice. Shower had good water pressure. TV was fine, everything worked and was in good repair.
We needed just a place to sleep on our way to a conference and this hotel was a good choice! It was been renewed and the results are very good. The lobby was nicely decorated, there is a big fire pit outside and fireplace inside of the lobby. Guest service was excellent. Our room was comfortable, clean and comfortable. Clean linens and towels. Breakfast was good. I would stay again when traveling through the area.
Booked a mini suite as that was what was available. TV in sitting room didn't work. No extra towels. Gaps in door frame. Plunger next to the toilet--not a comforting thing to see. Breakfast room was not kept clean, items ran out.
Nice clean room, they could have gave a little more attention to the extent do stay guess. Great atmosphere, beautiful pit could have slept by side. Pool was open 24 hrs. Really clean and didn't hear about noise coming from that area. I look forward to my next work assignment at Douglas Dam, I know where I'll stay.
We stayed here when we added a day onto our trip. Decided to stay closer to the interstate due to wanting to explore this part of town before we went into town and checked into our condo for the days in mountains. Hotel was very nice and pool and fire pit was usable 24 hours a day. Room was clean and nice looking. Enjoyed the night we stayed here and would be willing to stay again if we were doing things on this side of town. Only negative take awhile to get into Pigeon Forge and not a convenient distance.
Stayed over for 1 night while traveling to Nashville. Nice large room & comfortable bed. Didn't have time to explore to see what is located close by but I would stay here again. My husband used the gym...small room but had enough to get in a workout.
Incredibly poor service. Arrived late and was met with a front desk individual unwilling and incapable of solving a discrepancy with the Best Western reservations department. Will not be staying at a BW again.
The front desk staff was very helpful. The property and room were both immaculate. It was a stressful night for me,and the staff made my check-in easy and pleasant. The breakfast staff was very attentive.
We were very pleased with our room. No odor thruout hotel whatsoever. Bed was comfortable, carpets clean, unit worked well. Had great water pressure with a rain shower head. Only complaint was bad coffee, and typical BW breakfast.
We had a very nice stay here ,the beds were very comfortable and the staff was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was a little of a let down.but there is a restaurant right next door.so still a great experience here.we will be back .love the outdoor firepit.
The good Hotel is clean Beds are very comfortable Heated pool is open 24 hours Beautiful fire pit surrounded by comfortable chairs. Also open 24 hours The bad: The first morning of our stay breakfast was still not completely out at 7:20am (was suppose to be out at 7) no biscuits, gravy, eggs, or meat. The items that were out, left alot to be desired. The juice was water, the bread was stale, there was no fresh fruit. The tv in our room was not working upon arrival. I was told by the front desk to reset the direct tv box. This required me to literally move a 30 pound entertainment center and the mini fridge. After several resets, it finally came on and I moved the entertainment center back. Overall, I probably would not return or recommend this hotel unless it was solely for use of the 24 hour pool.
Good value and location. With this hotel being a few miles north of the attractions, it is a lot more quiet. The rooms have brand new decor and were clean. There are mini fridges but no microwave...a bit disappointing. There are balcony's on the parking lot side which are shaded from the sun. They have a nice view to relax on. The front desk team were some of the nicest people I have ever dealt with. With a special note to Karen, the assistant manager!
I would not stay at this hotel ever again!! Very dirty, had long blqck hairs in our bed and even on the spread along with a large stain. It was late and we were tired but should of left to go elsewhere but it was the big NASCAR race weekend so not many ootions. The only bright spot was Nicole, which she was staff on duty that night. I asked for clean linens to change myself but she came up and took care of it for us. She truly tried to help all that she could but there was not much she could do. I had to wipe down EVERYTHING and I mean everything with Clorox wipes and put towels on the floor to stand on. When we checked out the staff on duty; McKenzie was rude, dismissive and basically informed me that even if I complained she would not suffer any repercussions at all! Pretty much she was untouchable! The only bright spot in our stay was Nicole; she was polite, friendly and you could tell that she genuinely cared about her job and the guests.
Rating it poor just because of how it all happened. We booked over the phone a pet room for labor day weekend. We get there to find out that the room that was not booked for a pet room and was given a piece of paper saying that would charge us $200 if a pet was found .I further explained I was traveling with a pet and that is the room I booked. She became frazzled and said they were booked solid. WELL we are traveling with a pet on a holiday where no other rooms are available, he is a poodle that doesn't shed. She refused to just give me a room and stated we would just have to wait for "someone to cancel" I was not leaving, so she was able to shuffle around an hour later and find us a pet friendly room. We signed and was walking out with the keys and then she stated "wait, I almost fududled…" whatever that means, but she asked if I was explained a $100 deposit and $30 a night pet fee. I promptly stated no, we were never informed of any of those additional fees. She then proceeded to charge us those fees with out even apologizing. What if I didn't have an extra $60 dollars to spare, which I really didn't so it came from our spending budget. That made the room $190 a night which I could have started at the Hyatt Place for $165 with no pet fees and much nicer rooms and amenities. We would not have booked the hotel if we were informed up front all the fees, it was not worth what we were charged. And just be ware we were almost turned away because of their mistake WITH NO true apology!
One night stop on our way to Biltmore Estate. We were on the backside of the hotel so it was nice and quiet. The beds were comfortable and we had a good breakfast. We would definitely stay here again.
Enjoyed our stay! After sight seeing all day, felt like you were home . The staff was awesome! The manager Peggy (Philly) is a friend for life!! Food was good. Pool was good. Fire pit was cool. The bed was super comfy. No sore back in the mornings. We are looking forward to going back!!
This Best Western is very good for a one night stay when you are on the road traveling. It has an attracted outside design construction. I liked the outside balconies that are connected to the rooms that are facing in front of the hotel. Unfortunately, we didn't get a room with a balcony. The breakfast area is very nice to eat your average breakfast. The breakfast area has interesting texture of wood for one side of the walls and the floor tiles are interesting as well. The room is spacious very good! The King size bed is comfortable to sleep in. Two problems: there are insects in the room that needs to be get rid of; the window view from this room is not impressive; you are looking trees and whatever is growing right next to the building. It would be a good one night stay for the price.
Great room, great location and great price. We stayed at hotel on way back to Texas from VA and were very pleased with our short stay. Check out time was 11:00 am and made us feel un-rushed and relaxed. We also had our beloved dog with us and that was not a problem at all. The only downside was not much grassy area for her to exercise...
Spent 2 nights here, separated by a couple of days, split the room with friends. Room was very clean upon arrival, manager Karen was very helpful and made the room available a couple of hours before the 3 pm official check-in time. She also allowed me to pay for part of a friend's bill separately. Breakfast is great - lots of options, fresh biscuits, plenty to eat. 24/7 coffee! - Woo-hoo! All front-desk personnel were very helpfu and efficient. Two computers in lobby for guests, plus wi-fi. Would recommend based on my experience. Friends who stayed at another motel across the highway said the breakfast was nothing like the one at this Best Western.
We use this motel location is close to I 40 easy access shopping near by dinning near by I have read negative reviews but we found the motel to be clean bedding was very comfortable. Staff was very efficient and friendly. Meet cleaning staff in elevator and were very nice. Morning breakfast was one of the best I have had. In a two star motel will stop again.
I refused to stay at this dump of a motel. Basically stolen $93 to cancel a room that was 2 hours from being ready....15 miles from Sevierville, the town I was interested for the visit. Don't trust the pictures or description. I was able to walk in a Hampton Inn in town without reservations for a lower rate, far superior. Purpose of the trip was to visit the War Air Museum where my brother's Sky Raider plane he flew in Vietnam resides.
The motel is easy to access and quiet. The room ticked the boxes, clean, plentiful nice bath linens, comfy bed, large room, good tv with tons of stations. Complimentary breakfast, eggs, biscuits, gravy, breakfast meat, waffles daily. Usual assortment of breads, cereal, yogurt, coffee, juice. The attendants were very nice and attentive. The gripes, one elevator for entire facility was broken 2 full days, we were on 3rd floor. No garbage cans to be found in the public areas or outside. Breakfast room tv broken most of 6 day stay. The broken security key swipes for outside doors. Freshly painted interior hand railings, with poor signage.
A family I know booked this hotel and checked in last night. When they arrived to their room, it was dirty, the bedding wasn't changed and there was hair in the tub and the floor was a mess. They asked to have their room cleaned and were told that no one can clean their room and they would be refunded. They left and searched for other hotels to stay at. It took a while for them to find one that wasn't totally booked. They had their small disabled child with them, which wasn't easy. Disabled or not, it's already not easy to travel with a child. Why couldn't anyone clean up their room? The room should've been clean and ready for them when they arrived. Instead of taking a few minutes to clean their room, they decided to push them out late at night and give them a refund instead. Extremely rude, lazy and unprofessional. A huge waste of time, a big disappointment, and careless. I, and a BUNCH of other people have decided to never stay at this location or any Best Western ever again. This family is very well known across the country and verified. Thousands of people have seen what happened. Something so easy to fix turned into a huge loss of business for this place. Sad.
We stayed here over a long weekend. The hotel is conveniently located off I-40. Our room was updated, clean, and we had no issues with housekeeping. I read a review from over a month ago about the broken card reader on the side door and will confirm that it still does not work. The continental breakfast was nothing special- make your own waffles, oatmeal packets, cereal, scrambled eggs, Canadian bacon, biscuits and yogurt. Our biggest issue was that we reserved two rooms: one for us and one for other family members who would be paying for their stay. We gave a debit card to hold the reservation for both rooms. At check in we provided a different card for our room charges and our family members did the same. We mentioned the day before check out that there were 2 holds on our debit card for the entire stay for both rooms despite that we had given separate cards upon check in. We were told it would be taken care of and noticed our other card was charged within minutes. However, the next morning the pending charges on our debit card went through- twice! It took 3 days to get our refund. This should not have happened. I read another review that mentioned the hotel said this was a glitch. There is a sign at the desk on check in warning that if you give a debit card that the entire funds for the entire stay will be held on your debit card. I understand that. But we gave a different card. Some glitch! Just beware if you use your debit card for this.
The guy who checked us in was not pleasant. Did not seem to know what he was doing. The hotel had multiple cleanliness issues. Hall floors not vacuumed. The key entry door in the back of the hotel was broken, anyone could enter. The elevator was filthy. The bathroom of our hotel room had visible dirt and hair on the floor. There toilet was dirty all around and there was residue within the bowel. There was hair in the toilet. Dust on the closet cabinetry, spilled food in refrigerator, and multiple stains on carpet. Partially cleaned the complaints I had myself, young lady at front mopped and cleaned out toilet. Assistant manager gave me a discount rate and I paid it is full. Then my card was charged again and was told it was a system glitch. Then it was charged yet again the night before check out. I tried addressing issues with the general manager and she blew me off basically and would not disclose the owners information.
Front desk employee's were not friendly. The lady serving breakfast was very nice and helpful. Returned to our room around 11 at night and found that housekeeping had left our door unlocked and open all day. They also had left cleaning supplies in the room.
Driving hours away for vacation you would think you could come and relax before a night out on the town. Well that wasn't the case for my husband and I. When we arrived to our room, the room was COVERED in hair. All on the bed, on EACH sheet, on the floor, the phone, the counter, in the sink, in the tub, all over the wash cloths, and towels. My headboard was VERY nasty! The window seal looked like it had NEVER been clean. The elevator looked like it hasn't been clean since the building first open. And what makes it even worse is that I called down to the front desk to tell them the issues I had with the room. They sent housekeeping back up. Housekeeping told us to leave until they clean the room “again.” When I came back, the room looked the same. I stayed 2 nights here and put my DND sign on the door because I wanted to enjoy the rest of my vacation without begging someone to do their job as a housekeeper. I wasted my points because every Best Western was sold out! I am VERY disappointed that I'm a member of a brand that basically failed me.
Cons: Immediately upon arrival, we were told the elevator wasn't working. Not a big deal for us, but could be for others with physical challenges or traveling with small kids. Dirty towels were left from previous visitors. Bathroom sink didn't drain properly. Pros: Hollie at the front desk was funny and helpful. The price was right and beds comfortable. Location was handy for our needs. I don't think I'd stay again.
We had to change rooms because of the broken elevater and they gave us a back room with no view.We paid for a balcony room and ended up with look at dirt hill. 2 of the 3 icemakers were not working only one working was on the 3rd floor. For those worried about security the back door didnt lock. The only good thing I can say is the room was clean and the few staff I meet were nice.
My boyfriend and I stayed 2 nights at this wonderful property. The property looks like the pictures on the website. The staff was friendly and helpful upon arrival and check out. The breakfast was standard but a delicious hotel breakfast with plenty of choices of hot food, cereal, breads, pastries, yogurt, fruit, and waffle maker. The pool, firepit, and gym are OPEN 24 hours! The rooms are updated and were extremely clean! We had no issues with our room or the amenities provided. There is a resort fee but it is nothing to freak out over, it's a new tax alot of properties have established and is only about 5 bucks a night. It's really a great price and location from Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Will definitely return in the future. Thanks again for a great weekend!
Cleanliness was a MAJOR issue. Upon check-in we found a beer bottle full of cigarett butts on the patio. We advised the staff of the issue. Unfortunately they did nothing to clean the pation. Thus we did not use the patio during or stay. I expected better from Best Western.
Coming down to atlanta from md we stayed at a hotel that was awful. This was such a pleasant improvement. We travel down to visit family and will stay here on our way in the future. They made us feel special and important.
Overall good but public areas needed some upkeep. Parts missing in elavator, our side walkways dirty, small things. Had old deal offers in breakfast room. Had red stain in room 323. Ac worker greal. Thanks
We arrived an upon entering the lobby it had a stale smell. The man checking us in was not welcoming, he was however, slow and frankly did not care. The hallway carpets are gross! Our toilet did not flush correctly. We notified the front desk and got "oh I'm the only one here, I can get to it once someone comes in later on". We went out and come back and noticed water on the bathroom floor, but had no idea where it came from. Pool area was ok, nothing over the top. The bad part is walking out of the area to the stairs to the rooms...the floor gets wet and slippery. Breakfast was just ok, I've had better at other hotels. I know for sure this hotel needs some TLC and employees who give a damn. Beware of the resort fee.
Looks to be recently remodeled. Definitely an old building with some of the older building problems. The price was very reasonable during the week and it was a good place to stay away from all the busyness of going closer to downtown Gatlinburg. Continental breakfast was decent and the indoor pool provided a nice break from the sun. Beds were comfortable, too.
Last minute decision to stop. Very nice staff and very clean! Would highly recommend the hotel for Smoky Mountains stay!! Breakfast was tasty. We checked in at almost midnight and the desk attendant was very helpful and very nice even after the mess he had to clean up due to some very unpleasant people.
My family met and stayed last fall. We had a great time. This past visit was not as good. Hotel not being maintained. The hallways stunk. Employees were not as friendly. Last trip Tami was excellent, we sure did miss her. Breakfast was ok and the pool as always was great. Love the out side fire place.
Very clean and very up to date. Would highly recommend! We have been to Tenn. Numerous times but never stayed at the best western. More likely to stay there again due to the wonderful rates and cleanliness.
We came to the area to look at property and houses for sale over the memorial weekend. I booked this hotel due to it's location. Had I read further about the amenities and the reviews I probably would never have booked here. But due to my husband's work schedule I had to book last minute and my options were very limited! I put together a list of pro's and cons below so please read further. First let me tell you about our experience... Upon arrival the hotel smelled bad, the lobby wasn't inviting or welcoming at all. Day one: you hear everything from neighbors talking, TVs on, them showering and flushing to people in halls, traffic on the road and oh yeah there's a huge fireworks store across the road so we got to listen to those going off at night!! we come back to the hotel after a long day of looking at properties and notice the door to our room was OPEN!!! The maid didn't close it all the way shut. So anyone and everyone that wanted to could've had free access to our room and stuff!!!! Day two: during showering I felt something on the lower part of my back and I had my husband look & it was a TICK!!!! We left our dogs back home in boarding so it wasn't from that. Not sure if it was in the hotel or from outside but it was enough to creep me out cause those carry many different diseases!! we slept in a little this morning and had the do not disturb sign on the door to keep the maid out until we leave. We left early enough to where the maids cleaning cart was still out in the hallway so we thought our room would be cleaned and fresh towels and toiletries given BUT NO we were wrong in thinking that! We got back to the room and noticed we didn't get any maid service at all!!! BUSINESS TRAVELERS BEWARE: if you're their on business guess what the computers are in the tiny lobby right there where people checking in and out can look over your shoulder! Not to mention the pool and breakfast room was right next to the lobby and behind the computer area are seats for people eating breakfast as well as the pool in the next room. So kids with wet clothes are running around getting the floors wet and people are eating breakfast in the lobby area due to not enough seating in the actual breakfast room. Pro's: Good location Close to restaurants and shopping Close to Sevierville/ Pigeon Forge areas Free breakfast Has a pool and a fire pit outside Is pet friendly Con's: NO HOT TUB!!!! The walls are PAPER THIN, you can literally hear everything in the adjoining rooms The pictures on website must be old ones cause the building and rooms aren't as nice as they are online. It's a much older building needing updated! Hallways and stairways stunk The bed and pillows suck not comfortable at all!!
The staff really works to make sure everything is right. Rooms were clean and rates are usually WAY less than up the road where the tourists are, however you are not so fsr out you cant drive in to town for a good place to eat. When we are in the area we pretty much stay here all the time. They know us by name now!!
Upon arrival the male desk clerk did not greet us or say anything...he just stared. Giving guests an awkward initial impression of the hotel. We used Express check in and our room had not been cleaned. The pool was cloudy with little chlorine and there were no towels for guests at the pool. The breakfast attendant wiped down all the dirty tables, stuck the rag in his back pocket, then proceeded to use the same rag on the waffle iron after I used it to get it ready for the next person. That is unsanitary and frankly disgusting. We will NOT be back.
Had a king room. Bed was comfortable. Room itself had plenty of space. Breakfast was very good. Lots of options. Fresh fruit, cereal, oatmeal, eggs, ham, gravy, yogart, waffles, coffee and juice. Also available were mini muffins, and donuts. Check in and check out was easy. Would recomend highly.
The outside of this hotel is quite nice as is the lobby but the second we walked into our room we were hit with the overwhelming smell of pee. It was a pet room so we thought we might just stick it out until we saw hair all over the bed. We got a new room which was slightly cleaner at least without the pee smell but there's a two inch gap under the door to the small balcony. The toilet hadn't even been flushed. When we requested a crib we were informed that they don't have any. If it hadn't been so late at night traveling with kids we would have kept going but unfortunately we'd been stuck in traffic for hours.
This property is just off I40 so it is not in walking distance of the entertainment area. The hotel is on the Right hand side of the road when you are traveling toward Sevierville/Gatlinburg - this is just fine. Returning from Sevierville/Gatlinburg the hotel is obviously on the Left which is a concern. There is a median separating 6 lanes with a cut for turns - returning from Sevierville/Gatlinburg MAKE SURE YOU GO PAST the hotel otherwise you will be traveling on the wrong side of the road just below Interstate exit. Room we're updated nicely and clean. Middle elevator is under repair. I booked thru BW and confirmation made NO mention of $4.99 resort fee - this is NOT a resort and the fee is a ripe off. Breakfast was good. I would probably stay here again.
It was a good rate for the 3 night stay. But the hotel had issues. We have stayed here before because the rooms are large. But this time we had dirty towels, no maid service one day and bugs in our room every night. The elevator wall tile was down on one side and people kept getting stuck to the wall (that was kind of funny). It is a nice hotel with the proper maintenance and maintenance. The Front Desk clerk man was not friendly.
This hotel was dirty, elevator had drink marks on the floor and appeared that it had not been cleaned for months. Something was torn off of the elevator wall. The bed appeared to be made up with the same sheets. This hotel was not impressive
This hotel is conveniently located, and it is very clean/nice. The staff I came into contact with, were very nice and super helpful! The beds were super comfortable along with the rooms. This hotel has a very nice firepit area, along with a very clean indoor pool. I want to add that you must swipe your key card to be able to gain access to the hallways from the side doors leading to the parking areas. Lastly, the hallway corridors were very clean, and they smelled pleasant as well.
It's still a work in progress. Fire safety items are missing. Some areas aren't finished. It seems understaffed but the ones there are making the best of it. There's nothing terribly wrong...they just need some more time.
Everything about this place is great. Easy on and off of I-40. The place is very clean and the beds were great. The hot breakfast has anything you need to get your day started. Also the indoor pool was nice since it was raining outside.
The pool was green and you could smell the algae. I asked the manager about it and she said that they ran out of chemicals over the weekend and had lots of people there. How can you allow yourself to run out of chemicals! For families with children an indoor is a big bonus in the cold months. We stayed there a few months ago as well and we were given the same excuse for the green pool at that time. We chose it for the location and stayed a second time because we accepted the pool excuse the first time. The first time we had no issue with the room, but this time the beds were terrible. The room smelled so bad we had to get an air freshener to plug-in. There will not be a third visit!
This was a very nice place with a cool fire pit. The parking lot was well lit and it's directly next door to a wonderful pancake place. I can't imagine staying anywhere else when coming to Sevierville.
Repairs not done, room was never cleaned, toilet leaked water, bathroom door got stuck everytime we closed it, lock on room door worked sometimes. Also the ceiling needed to be patched over the shower.
The property is in a convenient to the freeway, Sieverville, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg (although the highway to there is usually crowded). There is nearby dining option. The room was clean but noisy. If you need it a little more quiet, I would recommend not getting a balcony room. The balcony rooms face the street and it is noisy. Bed was comfortable.
Facility is nice and appears newly remodeled, but staff was uninterested in our stay. Breakfast ran out of items, many guests with little barking dogs, kids playing (soccer?) in hallways, rooms not attended on a daily basis.
The Best Western at Kodak was comfortable, the room was large and very good value for money. The rooms on the back are very quiet, but the interior of the hotel could definitely do with some sprucing up.
My wife & I visited Sevierville/Pigeon Forge and stayed at this Best Western for several nights. The lobby was nice with a modern fireplace and seating. Outside is gas fire pit for use of guests. The rooms were very good. MacKenzie at the front desk was very nice, great personality and helpful. When we saw our room it was appointed very nicely and included a microwave & mini fridge. Later in the day, we decided to watch TV & it didn't work. Staff was nice & immediately transferred us to a new room. The breakfast in the morning was good. The breakfast attendant, Sue, was a hoot. As you enter, she gives you a short talk with details of the mornings offerings:). This hotel is located right at the beginning of Sevierville, away from the bustle and tourism madness down the toad in Pigeon Forge. So...have your fun at Dollywood then retreat to peace & quiet back at the hotel.
Carpet in room stained #208 repotted to front desk upon entering room. 1st morning there was no Hot water. Called front desk to report and was told the hotel was fully booked and would probably have to wait till evening time to take a hot shower! Really!!!!! Nasty Breakfast! Elevator and lobby areas not clean. Will never stay here again. Our house keeper did a nice job (clean sheets, towels, clean bathroom)
Room # 315 last night. Sink drains slow, tv remote not working, no hairdryer, lukewarm water only for morning shower. Every hallway that we were in was dirty, parking lot dirty, Please understand this hotel is close to a major interstate and on the bottom floor most rooms have patios. Anyone walking around the property could hop a handrail and bust your patio door in. Not safe on lower floor in my opinion. I will say the room was decent and for the most part clean. Bed was comfortable. We wont stay here again and will think twice before booking a BW in the future.
The rooms were good, except the exterior door needed some bottom door trim on it we had to put a blanket from our vehicle there to keep the cold air from coming in. The front desk staff very friendly, very accommodating and very patient. Easy off of I 81
Great stay, Clean Rooms. The property was very user friendly Staff was Freindly and iformative. We like to try different resturants and the staff was informative and gave Great recomendations, You could not ask for a better Team
For a king sized bed, pool, cont breakfast, excellent service and very pleasant staff we only paid 62 dollars a night. Centrally located to everything. We chose this hotel due to its location...at the entrance to the Great Smokey Mountains.
This place is right off I-40 at exit 407. They have an indoor pool that is open 24 hours a day along with their fitness center. This is something you don't see too much. The place needs some renovations but they work hard to keep it clean and tidy. The staff are very friendly and helpful and provide that southern hospitality. Breakfast is pretty good and they have coffe and tea 24/7. They also serve cookies every night. There are plenty of information packets on the local sites and entertainment areas. Our room was clean and comfortable and even had a small balcony outside the door. Kodak is the start of the trip into Seviersville, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg where there is plenty to do and see. Douglas Dam is also close to the hotel and there are restaurants within walking distance. There is also a Russel Stover's candy outlet across the street.
Staff were very helpful and rooms were nice.Sue was fantastic in the breakfast lounge. Rooms were comfortable and clean. would definitely stay there again. Easy to find and right there off the interstate.
The hotel was in a nice location. Desk staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was comfortable and the beds were wonderful. Wifi was good, breakfast was good, coffee was great. Close to restaurants and gas stations. Would stay here again.
Great staff, room really clean, handicap ramp to room level. Comfortable bed. Good breakfast. Great location right off exit 407 Gatlinburg. Great price. Gives military discount. Outside firepit for smokers.
Another great stay easy access to hotel, plenty of restaurants in the area, only thing that could change was the key cards unable to get in room at 11:30 pm just a little frustrating. Breakfast slim pickings
Location was great. We were traveling with a toy poodle. He barked some...but not one complaint. Access to outside very convenient. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. We asked for first floor and we got it. Breakfast not so great....lots of junk. Cereal, juice...coffee.. eggs were bad...it was not managed well.
Reservations were for a room with king-sized bed. The room had two queen beds. Room smelled like animals had stayed there. Noise in the hallway in the early morning was ridiculously loud. TV issues but nice staff person came to the room and fixed it.
The layout of the King Size room was long rather than wide and we absolutely loved it! (We walked into the room which angled off to the left instead of straight ahead.) The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and there was a lot of counter space for your toiletries. We really enjoyed the oversized shower head with plenty of hot water. A large tv screen with numerous programs was available and there was a chair with an ottoman, as well as a desk and chair. The heating/air conditioning unit was quiet, and so was the hotel.. The one thing that was negative is the parking.. Along the front of the hotel, it is narrow and slopes downhill slightly. We didn't notice the parking beside the hotel until the next morning because it was dark when we checked in. The next time we stay here, we will definitely park there.
We always stay at Best Western, from Key West to Richmond, and always have a nice stay. We like the free breakfast and the service and rooms are always nice. No complaints. The properties are very good, and we earn extra nights by being Gold members.
I am a repeat customer who is still mostly happy with the property. We take a pet friendly room. My only complaint is that I could still distinctly smell pet odors from a previous guest. Normally the room smells fresh when we check in. I believe you may have been short staffed this week, however. The employees are courteous and friendly. Would be an added bonus if Ms. Tammy returned to this location. :-)
My stay at the Best Western Sevierville/Kodak was a very good one. The hotel is located near Interstate 81. Staff are extra-friendly. The premises are dog-friendly. The breakfast in the morning was very nice and fresh. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. I would stay here again if I am in the area.
Checked into our room around 10pm. Upon arrival of room 106, it had not been cleaned. Front desk attendant nonchalantly acts like it's our problem. She moves us to another room, which is also dirty. Floor has not been mopped. Hair in the floor and tub. We are greatly disappointed. We have stayed here previously with no problems. Front desk could use customer service skills, and apparently housekeeping could use some cleaning skills. Terrible experience!! We will be searching for a new place to stay...
We stayed here one night, we were allocated a room a long long way from reception. This was a room with a balcony, it was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was just the usual, lots of room for improvement
Love going here for a quick Night Away it is about 10-15 minutes away. Has an indoor pool so swimming year-round my little boy loves that their beds are so amazing and soft and they have a wonderful breakfast in the morning the staff is usually always friendly and helpful
We arrived at check-in time and was given the key to our room, but when we got to the room it had not been cleaned. Our friends came in right behind us and their room had not been cleaned yet either. We waited for 2 hours for our room to be cleaned and then the manage was very rude to us, so we decided to cancel our reservation. There was a whole lobby full of people that their rooms had not been cleaned as well. After cancelling our reservation and leaving we had to waste our time trying to find another hotel through all the leaf lookers. We finally found a room at the quality inn. When I checked my bank account the next morning, Best Western had charged my card another fee of $140 and our friends had been charged double. It turns out the manager had charged someone's room to my card. I still do not have my money back. I have tried to get a hold of corporate, but have gotten no where. I spoke with another manage at the hotel (Peggy) she was very nice and assured me that I would receive all of my money back within a couple of days. We will see.
This hotel is very nice and cleaned properly. The staff is really nice and helpful. The guest service manager Tammy Hull was friendly and very helpful. I would recommend this hotel to all of my friends and family.
The best western in Kodak TN is very clean and the staff is very friendly. Tammy Hull the guest service manager was super friendly and very helpful! I've stayed in many hotels in many cities, but this one was by far the nicest and I've never had such wonderful service.
We were robbed while staying at this hotel. We had checked in for 2 nights. After the first night, we spent the day sightseeing. While gone, our belongings in the room were ransacked. Our valuables were taken, and our clothing was gathered up and thrown into a cabinet in the hotel laundry room. The housekeeper was seen on video removing our belongings, but no one is being held accountable for our loss or the event. The police made a report, but will not investigate further. Best Western Corporate won't get involved, stating it is a police matter. Moral of the story, DON'T STAY AT THIS HOTEL.
Spent a Sunday evening here and was very pleased as it was a free stay as part of my Best Western rewards program. A very pleasant greeting by the person working the front desk and our room was exactly as requested. The lobby, hallways and room were all exceptionally clean. No complaints; would stay here again if I'm in the area.
Don't let other reviews fool you like they did me. As we waited 15 minutes to check in because nobody was at the desk, two ceiling tiles fell from the ceiling. Staff didn't even clean it up, they just kicked them out of the way. Check in was simple once we actually could check in. The hallways smell terrible. There is unrestricted access to the hotel, anyone can enter the side doors without a key. The room was recently updated, but was not clean. We found hairs and soap on the shower curtain from a previous guest, mold around the faucets and hand bar,and the shower never drained properly. The room wasn't properly cleaned, we found someone's socks. Housekeeping skipped our room cleaning one day. The hotel is no smoking, but there are cigarette butts all over from people smoking on balconies and throwing the butts out into the parking lot. They had several signs around the hotel about not renting to people who lived in Sevier County or neighboring counties. Not sure what that was about. If you're in the area, there are much better places to stay for a similar price. Many that are closer to dining, shopping, and events. This hotel is a 25 minute plus drive to Gatlinburg. We didn't mind that though.
Location is great because it's right off of I40. It's a little bit of a distance to Gatlinburg but not too far from Pigeon Forge. parking was tight in the late evenings coming back into the hotel. Breakfast was ok. It was nothing to write home about. The rooms were really nice and so were the bathrooms. Refrig still had the previous people's food in it from the stay before ours. Rooms are a great size and it had a nice patio off the room. Room was clean. My only complaint would be that the comforter isn't very thick. It needs those luxury sheets and comforter. Overall, I would stay here again.
Slow check-in. No one at desk for 20 minutes. Halls, stairwell, and breakfast room not clean. Some equipment in breakfast room was not working. Bath tub wouldn't drain properly. TV didn't work. Phone kept ringing every hour until we unplugged it. Will not stay there again. Plenty of other nicer options in the area.
It is a non-smoking hotel but unfortunately people were smoking on the balcony and there were cigarette butts all over the driveway and parking lot. Place does not have a heavy smell of smoke however. The balconies are nice but we did not use them. The breakfast was sub average and the floor in the breakfast room was small, dirty and sticky! Worst of all was the cleanliness of our bathroom. There were long dark hairs in the shower on the wall and in the tub. When my husband took the first shower, it did not drain and he stood in inches of water. He finally cleaned out handfuls of hair just to have it drained! Disgusting. When we told the front desk personnel, she was not phased... apologized and did not write anything down! Overall a very disappointing experience for Best Western.
My family enjoyed our stay at BW. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The beds were super comfy. It was a very clean hotel. We enjoyed everything from the pool, fire pit, to the fitness room.
Stay was ok all except for the breakfast meister raining on my waffle parade. He knows who he is. The room was average but the pool is really nice. We enjoyed having a balcony. Would stay here again if in the area.
Did not expect what I got when I went to this hotel. A very sleek and modern design throughout the hotel caught my eye at first but when I went to the room, totally surprised. The king room was very spacious, clean, good decor, and had a lot of lighting options. Small but efficient balcony was put to use on a warm night. Bed was extremely comfortable while the bathroom had a rain shower, shower head that did the trick. The tv had over 150 direct tv channels with crystal clear viewing. No microwave but a refrigerator and coffee maker. The grounds were well kept in this 100% smoke free complex. The indoor pool was heated, clean, and a tad larger than most hotel indoor pools. The only negative of my stay was the breakfast area. Two of the machines, juice and waffle maker, were broken that day and in the 15 minutes I spent in the breakfast area, I did not see anyone attending to the breakfast station. Decent price and a great room will keep me going back to this hotel when I'm on the road and need to stop off of I 40 near Knoxville.
The advertisement for this hotel made it look very quaint, but it is sitting on a very busy highway with only a parking lot surrounding it. We entered the building to check in, but there was no one at the front desk for 20 minutes. She was attending to an emergency (there as a theft in the hotel) the key security on the side entrance had been vandalized and anyone could come in to the hotel. Elevators and floor lobby areas were filthy. The woman at the front desk was very apologetic and accommodating when we had to switch rooms, due to noise and unclean bathroom. Breakfast was NOT impressive.
Last minute find. Was on the road and very tired. Had a very good night sleep. The room was very quiet and clean. Good service. Had a very very good complimentary breakfast. A good find. We where happy and well rested.
Very Dirty and Breakfast was horrible. I try my best to see the good in a situation but this hotel was the worst. It was my first time visiting and I will not visit again. Dirty with hair everywhere not to mention the staff behind the counter kept running out for a smoke leaving the desk empty!!! Very unprofessional!
I have no complaints. The hotel was better than other Best Western properties where I have stayed. The pool was nice and breakfast was adequate. Certainly not your dream hotel, but it met all our basic needs and we would certainly wouldn't hesitate to go back there again.
Room was nice. We asked for a bathroom with safety rails, they complied with this request. However, the bathroom smelled bad, like caulking or some chemical. There was no place to put your soap, shampoo, or razor, had to put mine on the floor. The back of shower floor and corners were black, looked like mold. People working there were very nice. We picked this hotel away from Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg to stay away all the traffic, etc.
We were not staying in this town but just passing by down I40 Pros Very clean Room has tv, desk, refrigerator Shower is amazing - great water pressure and easy controls Has wifi but i did not use, my daughter said it was good Breakfast was included and was standard: bacon, scrambled eggs, cereal etc Staff all friendly and helpful Very good value, well priced Cons None that I noticed
We decided to stay here the week of July 4th because we got a little better rate staying farther outside of Sevierville. The hotel was great from start until check out. The fire pit was nice and cozy outside of the pool area. We swam every day in the afternoon and the pool was great. Several times we were the only family there. No hot tub but we didn't seem to miss it. The lobby was clean and you could tell the hotel had been updated. Newer carpet, bedding, and fixtures and the rooms were clean. The personal balconies were okay. We loved the fact that iced tea was served every afternoon. Breakfast was good. The lady serving in the mornings was very friendly and tried her best to keep everything stocked. The first morning we arrived late and the hot items were already gone. My son is lactose intolerant so I was happily surprised to see that they served almond milk in the fridge. On the evening of July 4th when we arrived back to the hotel the front desk staff ( not sure of her name ) gave all my kids a package of oreos and some sparklers. This was a sweet gesture that we thought went above and beyond. I couldn't wait to go home and give the hotel a great review. This changed starting at checkout. When we checked out we received a receipt for over $100 more that what I booked online directly for. I showed the front staff the email confirmation I had for the lower price and forwarded that to him. I also gave my name and phone number. He told my he would have a manager call me. We never received a call that day. I called later that evening and nothing was done. The next day I called again only to get nowhere. Left my name and number again and was told they would call me. Never happened. Called the next day. Got nowhere. We checked out on Friday morning and I called every day until Monday. I called Monday morning before work and got nowhere. Called Monday on my lunch break and finally got to speak with a manager who refunded me the money with no apologies. It took another 5 days for the money to return to my account. This issue wouldn't have been so bad if they would've just taken care of it from the beginning instead of me having to call every day for several days. Not good management skills and it pretty much ruined our great experience with the hotel.
My husband and I stayed four nights. It was clean and had a free breakfast with a lot of choices. The ladies at the front desk were friendly and helpful with whatever we needed. Will definitely stay here again. Close to Bass Pro Shop.
Chose this hotel because of how close it was to the interstate (made getting home easy) and it was near several stores we wanted to visit. Several good options near by. Watched the fireworks 2 nights in a row from our balcony. ( check the local baseball teams schedule so you can take advantage of this) . There was a slight problem at check in with how we were charged but it wasn't that big a deal. Would stay here again.
Rooms were nice, breakfast good, prices are good. Enjoyed indoor swimming pool. The only reason I gave this four stars instead of five is because I called there and made my reservations and they were extremely messed up. Called repeatedly trying to get an email to confirm reservations, and couldn't because their email system was down so I was told. Finally someone there told me my confirmation numbers as my reservations were for two different rooms in different names in our party. The also told me what my balance was. Well after the first night I woke to a receipt in my door and we were there for two nights and this was for one night and it had check out date that morning which was wrong. I called and was told my room was higher than what I had been told beforehand, finally got that straight or we thought we did. The next morning went to checkout and didn't receive anything under the door this time so went to front desk. Brittany was extremely helpful and straightened everything out. Thank goodness she had just gotten back from vacation. I would stay again but I would use a second party reservation company instead of calling directly.
We stayed there June 25th 2018, and hotel staff was courteous and very helpful. The rooms were clean and roomy. The location is close to both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, and both are worth visiting. Would stay there again.
this hotel was recentley remodeled, the rooms were updated and are fairly spacious. the staff is friendly and cordial and did their best to make our stay pleasant. the breakfast area was a little tight but the food was adequate. we generally don't stay in hotels that allow pets, we don't hate dogs we just don't like to sleep in the same bed where fido was laying last night licking his testicles. over all this hotel seemed clean for a budget hotel but when you see the dog licking his bung hole then licking his owner's mouth and you realize those are the same people you just shared a continental breakfast with and they touched the same utensils that you used it makes you wonder.
Good hotel located in a peaceful location. Room was clean and staff was friendly. Breakfast was decent. Rooms have balconies with nice view. No issues whatsoever. All good! This property is located at 15-20 mins drive from Pigeon Forge.
Very nice hotel. Great price. Staff are very friendly. Large rooms. Breakfast was great. Nice location. Easy on and off the interstate. Nice restaurants nearby. Gateway to the Smoky Mountains is a plus! Beautiful area.
We had car problems and were laid up overnight. Everyone we asked said to stay at the Best Western and I am glad we took their suggestion. It was the nicest and cheapest motel we stayed at in our weeks vacation. Very clean and beautiful besides.
This was one of the nicest rooms I have ever stayed in. For the price we paid I wasn't expecting much, but I was VERY surprised! The room was very spacious and comfortable. Each room having a balcony was also very nice!
This hotel is located just north of Sevierville by the I-40 interchange. There is plenty of parking. We booked at the last minute for a Saturday night in June and they had availability and reasonable prices. The hotel is clean and new looking with no visible wear. The rooms are well kept. We had an ADA room and were very pleased at the complete compliance for accessibility. Beds are comfortable. Air conditioning is COLD. The pool is open 24 hours! There is a gas fire pit in a courtyard by the lobby, which was nice for relaxing in the evening. Our only negative experience was the breakfast. The seating and serving areas are located in the same space and was very cramped and busy. The food was cattle feed. I ended up just eating a banana.
We stayed for a few nights in May. Nice room and the staff was just so friendly! The Fire pit is wonderful and so is the indoor swimming pool. The breakfast spread is fantastic! We will most certainly stay here again when we head that way to visit family.
excellent location, clean, location close to attractions, gas, restaurants, close to main interstate highway. Staff helpful and if didn't know answer knew who to call and solved problem and everyone learned
Stopped for a night on way to Biltmore. Room was clean, well appointed and quiet. Price was fair and location was a bit removed from the tourist spots. Overall a good choice at a fair price. Breakfast was normal hotel fare. Seating was difficult, but we were able to squeeze in and food was hot and tasty.
This hotel is just off the interstate and approximately 15 or so miles from the very busy Pigeon Forge crazy traffic and congestion. We had a room on the second floor which had a balcony with a couple chairs and small table which is a very nice gesture. There is a fire pit and enclosed pool that is available 24 hours a day also something not available a many other places. Rooms are spacious and water pressure excellent. The beds are higher than most but comfortable. There is also an upholstered chair in the room that is very comfortable as well. Breakfast area is small but didn't partake because of diet restrictions. There is a pancake restaurant on the same property next door. Location is great and would stay here again if in the area.
My family booked a mini vacation over Memorial Day weekend. The Room- Clean and updated. The beds were a little too firm so if you like a really soft bed, it's not for you. We had a 1st floor room with a enclosed patio. It was convenient to load and unload the car. You can pull right up to patio and take luggage right from the car over the railing and right into the room. The Pool- Small but nicely warm. The kids loved it! Breakfast- Good selection but it wasn't kept stocked. We arrived at 9 both mornings and the milk was out and never replaced. The yogurt machine was not operational and the fruit wasn't stocked. Quite a sad display. Come early! The staff- front seat was excellent. So was laundry service. Location- very convenient. Located right off the interstate. Away from all the crazy traffic.
This hotel was great. We stayed here on Friday and Saturday “May 4th and 5th” after staying the 3 nights prior in Pigeon Forge. This hotel was excellent and nicer than the one in Pigeon Forge and not near what we paid there! It was clean, great staff, great location, breakfast was great. Just nice all way around. Would definitely stay here again!
My son's and I were traveling to Charolette SC for our family vacation and made a pit stop at this location. Beautiful area, hotel and staff were great-very friendly and accommodating. Room was spacacious & clean, beds were comfortable and the bathroom/shower was great. The only disappointment was the breakfast-lack there of. My son and I went down at 9am, looking forward to some good eats only to be disappointed. There were no clean tables to eat at, the waffle mix was not working, along with the yogurt machine, small portion of eggs and bacon crumbles. There was no staff member to be found, so no breakfast for us. Just before we left about 5 other guests came in and were just as disappointed as us.
On our way to a graduation in SC and stopped over. Great hotel for a great price. Great staff. Would recommend this hotel to anyone. Breakfast very good. Rooms excellent. Very close to I-40 so easy access to it and all locations in Gatlinburg.
Always enjoy staying here, this time was especially nice. The whole building smells like new carpet, the rooms look fresh and the bathrooms all white extra sparkly. I love staying here because it is away from the hustle of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg but very near to everything when you decide to go out. But a few places still deliver and Dunkin Donuts its across the road (COFFEE! LOL)
Clean with firm mattresses and good water-pressure. Heat & air, TV, fridge, and microwave works fine. Good shower and all in working order in the bathroom Decent lamps for reading. TV has an adapter for a DVD player. No balcony. I have not tried out the pool or gym or the breakfast. Enjoyed the free bottled water and snacks in the lobby.
Staff was very helpful to get me a room without a prior reservation. Workout room, pool, & breakfast all excellent. Only complaint was that TV remote didn't work, but the wifi did, so I watched my channels on my laptop. No prob there!
Excellent stay and room. Very convenient. I liked the location and the accessibility to other stores and restaurants .It was very easy to find and was a very friendly town and place to stay on our travel from Florida to NH.
The hotel was very nice. Easy off and on the interstateThe front desk staff was great at check in and check out. The free breakfast had a good selection of item. We enjoyed the in door swimming pool and also the fire pit was a great place to just sit and talk. There is also several fast food restaurants close by.
This was a nice, clean facility. Tammy at the front desk was phenomenal in giving information about the surrounding attractions. The rooms are very spacious and clean and the beds were so comfortable. This facility is in an excellent location and the heated pool and fire pit are accessible 24 hours a day.
Was clean. Newly renovated. Floors shined. Walls looked great .lobby clean and well up to date. Rooms are good size and beds were nice.. all I can ask for. And the staff.... wow. Above and beyond. Tammy at the desk was great!!
This is a very nice motel, the room was spotless, bed was comfortable, and I had plenty of coffee. You get a lot of amenities for your money, indoor pool , free breakfast and a fire ring for those cold nights.
This hotel is very clean, the staff is helpful and friendly, and the pet friendly room we had was wonderful. It was clean and on the first floor. We even had our own porch with a railing to keep animals in.
We travel quite often, so we know which chains are usually the better ones to stay at for our overnight trips. We decided last week to pack up and have our latest adventure take us through KY, TN, VA, West VA and return us back to our home state. Little did we think about spring break and the hotels being previously booked solid. With that say, we found ourselves in the Sevierville, TN area. We looked online and found a room at the Best Western Sevierville/Kodak Inn where the reviews were decent. We booked the room and headed that direction. Out of all the hotel stays we have made over the last four years, this one by far ranks a close tie for the worst ever. First, we arrived after 4:30pm and were told we were getting a pet room (we didn't have a pet or request a pet room), then we were told the room wasn't cleaned yet and needed to wait an additional 45 minutes. (Strike #1). We arrived late so the room should have very well been clean by that time. When we were finally able to get in, the room itself had a smell to it. Not a fresh airy or cleaner smell, just a stale smell. (Strike #2) We turned on the air to get some circulation going. As we opened the door to go out and grab a bite to eat, the light shining on the floor from the hall showed where the floor had been not cleaned and was sticky. I thought there had been a sticky spot as I entered the room, but it was overshadowed by the smell and I didn't look down. (Strike #3) After returning from dinner, we sat down to watch TV and noted a little bug like a gnat fly by. After swatting it, I thought it would be the last of it. Little did I realize the next morning, there were bugs all over the room – on the towels we used, the walls, and most noticeably after the sun rose, the bugs on the cooling unit and window sill of the room. (Strike #4) The pictures really do not show the full extent, but gives hotel prospects an idea of what you could expect. From now on we intend to plan out our trips. My recommendation, find a hotel with a better standard of cleaning and extermination services to keep these things from happening. The other 3 hotels we stayed in for the remainder of our trip were excellent. The pictures are of all different areas where there were bugs. One of the nasty floor. The 2 AC unit pictures are the same, but one is closer up so you can see how plentiful they were. If I could have done video you would see some were still moving. Lovely.
Pros: The hotel is new. It has a nice pool. The staff is very welcoming and accommodating. The breakfast is substantial and good. It's near the freeway. Cons: The worst of the worst was that we had an adjoining room and there is ABSOLUTELY NO SOUND PROOFING. It's as if the people are in your room. We could hear every single word spoken when someone was in the vicinity of the door (which was, unfortunately, outside of the bathroom). In addition, the guests the first night were up talking on the phone at 2:40AM and very loudly at that. We were unable to change rooms because the hotel was sold out. The hotel is very poorly built with poor quality materials. It will be worn out very quickly. The TV went from dark to light whenever we watched it. The closet was a very cheap cabinet that you would put in your basement for storage. One of the mattresses in the room was worn out. The curtain was hanging off the hooks. There isn't enough seating for breakfast. After reading all of the reviews about this hotel, which influenced the decision I made, I was extremely disappointed. I wonder if they were staying in the same hotel?
We were looking for an affordable hotel stay not too far from Gatlinburg on our way down. We lucked out with this location. The rates were very affordable and there was no trade off as the hotel itself was very very nice! You can tell there has been recent updates, the rooms are nice and modern, the interior is and exterior is very clean and up to date. Easy parking. Very friendly staff. Some of the most comfortable beds I have slept in! Right off the interstate, but far enough to not hear the noise. Great free internet service. Although we didn't take advantage of the pool, it looked very nice. Overall couldn't be more satisfied with this hotel. If we are ever heading this way again, will definitely stay here again.
While the remodeled finishings at this hotel, the lobby, the friendliness of most of the staff, the fire pit and they're phenomenal breakfast served by the very hard-working Margie or excellent!!! The unprofessional manager who was disciplining staff during morning breakfast rush, housekeeping that didnt skip our room on the first night, lukewarm and cold shower temperatures each day, over chlorinated pool, and carpet stains throughout the hotel would have been an improvement that would have made this entire Hotel experience excellent.
We had a great stay here. The pool was warm and the rooms were very clean. The workers were very nice and helpful. Our youngest son loved the yogurt machine and toppings for breakfast. The fire pit was nice and the location was not too far from Pigeon Forge.
Beautiful affordable hotel just outside of Pigeon Forge. The rooms were beautiful and well kept and the staff amazing. Tammy was wonderful! I will definitely being staying here again when I am back in the area!
Stayed here for a few nights in April 2018 visiting the area was pleased with the price and the room was nice but was not happy with housekeeping one day they just brought 2 towels and did nothing else to the room 2nd day they didn't do anything also had a problem with the hot water in the shower in the mornings it was cold 2 out of 3 days but fine at night head maintenance guy said too many ppl taking a shower at once ummm its a hotel thats going to happen so i guess if you stay here shower at night
Room was very nice...no complaints there. Parking can be tricky and breakfast ran out pretty quickly so we had to go to a restaurant both days to eat breakfast. It's very close to the interstate so if your room faces the road you may hear traffic. Still, staff very nice and it was very clean.
I'm going to try really hard to be positive but honest. The pool is open 24-7. Ok that's the positive. The beds are very uncomfortable. The breakfast room is very small and the breakfast food is not kept replenished so everyone stands around with empty plates waiting. Then if you do get to have breakfast, there is nowhere to sit. We saw a lot of people just heading back to there rooms frustrated. We ended up checking out and driving to Crackerbarrel. So you think you are saving money by staying here but you have to leave to get breakfast and pay $30 more to eat breakfast elsewhere. I'll pay the extra to stay somewhere better!
We stayed here 3 nights. Hotel is very clean and well maintained. Rooms are spacious and very clean. The free breakfast is plentiful and good. Got a great rate thru hotels.com. I would definitely stay here again.
This hotel was clean and it was remodeled. Our only complaint was after our first night they didn't give us new shampoo or soap. We had to call the front desk and request it. Overall, it's not bad for the price.
I had no issues; I had a very short stay, but the front desk staff was extremely friendly, the hotel was VERY nice, updated. The one thing I loved about it, and is very rare; the pool is open 24/7! Great feature!!!
I typically do not write reviews but I felt I needed to express my thoughts on this experience. We were traveling to Tennessee from Pennsylvania for a college visit. We had planned to stop around Knoxville to sleep and journey onward the next day. I read some reviews of this hotel and took a chance. A chance meaning that I was told that staying at a BW is not a good experience. Well...this hotel was clean, professional looking with a friendly staff and was above and beyond my expectation.. We were only using it as a stop and go but if we were staying longer, we would have used the outdoor fire pit!! Thanks for a great stay!!
The hotel and staff were great! But I was charged more than what I was suppose to be and still have not been able to get it corrected! Very disappointed about that. The lady at the front desk tried to help, but she didn't understand why I had extra charges either, she didn't reach out to try and find out. These extra charges stayed in my bank account and caused other issues. A room that was suppose to cost me only 159.58 ended up costing me almost $400!! So I will not be going back
We chose this hotel because of the combination of good reviews and price, and we were not disappointed. I think that the property is an older one, but everything has been redone and was very clean. The beds were comfortable, and the room was quite large. There was some noise between the rooms (we could hear a toddler during the night), but it wasn't terrible -- if you use a white noise machine, it would probably not be noticeable. The breakfast area does not have much seating, but the food was good, with all of the standard choices available -- waffles, eggs, bacon, cereal, etc. There is also a sit down breakfast restaurant right across the parking lot. There is an indoor pool, which is open 24 hours a day (that is pretty unusual), and there were kids swimming during the breakfast service. If you need a clean, well-priced place to stop in this area, this would be a good choice!
this hotel was great.it was recently remodeled everything was new. the price was great. free breakfast which was ok pet friendly. staff was friendly. would stay here again 100%.it was easy to find right off the highway just that it was on the other side. fast food and gas was right across the street which was great cause we go there late so we went to the fast food drive thru. gased up in the morning and we hit the road again.
We have been going to Myrtle beach for a couple years and found this Best Western for a very cheap rate! Read the reviews and they were good but at $40 a night you really don't know what you're getting into. So happy we took a chance! A great room, exceptionally clean and very nice! The staff was very friendly and even sent us out with a to go bag of breakfast snacks. Who knew that you could get this kind of hotel for that price!
Nicely remodeled hotel. The staff was great. They do allow pets which was great since we bought our dog with us. The pet area is a little small. They have a great fitness room and indoor pool. We would stay here again.
There was coffee out in lobby throughout the day which isn't available at many BWs. Our room was nice and large and all was clean - I appreciated the easy chair and ottoman in addition to the desk chair. The vanity was separate from the toilet and tub area and had sufficient toiletry space. They have beautifully tiled above the bathtub and included a nice large shower head which resulted in a pleasant shower. The bed slept well and I liked that the blankets were plentiful as it was cold outside. We had a balcony but the view was just of the surrounding businesses as this hotel is just off I-40 and populated with all the normal restaurants and hotels you would expect. There was some road noise noticeable from our room but we were on the side facing toward the interstate which was about 1/2 mile away. I liked the fact that there is an elevator. It is located toward one end of the hotel which might result in longer walks to get to the elevator depending on the room you are assigned to. If being close to the elevator is important be certain to ask. Ground floor rooms at this hotel appear to be the type where you could park in front of your room but I did not investigate. Breakfast was fine. I liked the sausage gravy. There were the typical “chunky” scrambled eggs which aren't my favorite. I also noticed they only offered light yogurt and had no hard boiled eggs. There were small bottles of water in the refrigerator which was a nice touch. All in all breakfast was what I've grown to expect from most mid-range family hotels.
We booked the Best Western Plus Kodak for a visit to the University of Tennessee and Pigeon Forge. Location was right off the Interstate;very easy to find. Driving time to both Pigeon Forge and Knoxville with traffic was about 30 minutes, which made it a great "in between" location. The entire property is spotless. The outside fire pit was not lit when we arrived at 7 p.m. because it was snowing. I'm sure it would be very enjoyable in warmer weather. The pool and fitness center were open 24 hours which my kids loved. They reported it was was clean and well stocked with towels. The lobby was spacious. The chair in front of the fireplace would be the perfect spot to curl up with a book-if the rooms weren't so impressive. My husband and I shared a King room. The other room booked was a standard queen/queen. Balcony rooms are also available but since it was a 1 night stay, we didn't pay The additional fee. Since the view was of the pancake restaurant adjacent, I feel it's not worth the money. The rates were so reasonable we were able to book our children (one adult and one child) for almost the same cost as 1 room in an older location that was admittedly closer to Knoxville or Pigeon Forge. We requeated rooms om the same floor, and ended up being 5 rooms away from each other. Close enough for the kids to come get $ for the vending machines, but far enough away that we also had some much needed privacy. Both rooms were very spacious, immaculate, well decorated, and comfortable. The beds were comfy, and we all enjoyed an excellent night's rest. The biggest issue I routinely encounter in hotels is the light that shines in from the outside lights when the curtains don't fully close. The curtains completely blocked out all light from the outside! My only complaint was the height of the bed. It requires a bit of a hop to climb up, which could be problematic for those with mobility issues. The breakfast was satisfactory.Three juices, milk, coffee, cereal, eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, bagels, toast, fruit, yougart and a waffle maker. My kids insist on staying in a hotel with a waffle maker. If there's no waffle maker, they are not happy campers. This was one of the nicest hotels (for the price) I have ever stayed in. Keep in mind that I am fairly budget conscious. I rarely book a hotel with less than a 4/5 or 8.0 rating, but I'm not the type to book a "fancy" hotel for a one night stay. We loved our stay here and would not hesitate to stay there again.
Great location alongside interstate. EV charging station inop but staff promised they'd get experts in to look at the problem. Breakfast selection a bit limited, yogurt machine was a curious taste. Loved the different size waffle cookers. Would have liked a bit more fruit options.
Overall- this was a clean hotel, beautiful inside and out. All rooms facing lot have patios or decks for not additional fee. No smoke smell, good breakfast spread and comfortable beds. Pet friendly is a must for us, and we were pleased with provided bags and trash cans in a grassy spot. Hotel had fire pit, outdoor furniture in common space AND on room porches so you can sit and drink coffee outside without leaving your room. Hybrid and electric car friendly as well- charging dock in lot. Well maintained overall. If you are Military, Government, AAA member or a senior citizen your eligible for a discount!! Didn't use fitness room or indoor pool, but checked them out and they were decent too.
Chose BW because of the great customer service on the phone from Ms. Tammy when deciding whether or not to reserve. I was not disappointed! Great overall service, budget pricing, great value & pet friendly - yet clean, nice sized room & a comfy bed -- what more can I ask for? My only recommendation - during the busiest breakfast time, a 2nd staff member would be helpful in order to keep coffee & food items replenished. Other than that, I was a happy camper! The Christmas decorations in the lobby were great, too. Will be back.
Great location, great staff, great room except the design didn't include a closet. Instead a cheap wardrobe was added to the room which had very little hanger space. The ironing board took up half of the space. That's how small it was. On recommendation of staff we dined at the Chop House and a wonderful time there.
Christmas Eve traveling. We booked the Best Western in Kodak, easy access to I-40. The cost was very reasonable and the service was excellent. The rooms were large, very clean, wonderful bedding and a great stay. The following morning breakfast included eggs, sausage, biscuits, waffles, toast, fruit, yogurt, English muffins, coffee & juice. Upon check in, the young lady was extremely polite and professional. We will definitely use this property again.
We stayed here as a stop over on a drive to a from another location (so Saturday night and then the following Saturday night). When we checked in the first Saturday night they had our reservation wrong but were able to accommodate us (we had our dog with us and we were supposed to have a pet room and they didn't have a pet room available). We were in the room right behind the front desk and it was really noisy with all the comings and goings of the staff, etc. And the noise from the street was horrible! Traffic racing up and down the street and the trucks were bad. The next Saturday we were given a pet room, more toward the back of the hotel. Not so much noise from the front desk but from other guests in the hall and children running up and down the halls. And of course the noise from the parking lot and the street. With that being said, both rooms were clean and well cared for -- the decor was cozy and warm and the beds were comfortable. The staff was friendly and inviting.
Clean ..big rooms...very good price...not far from the center of action...and near the interstate. Be aware of scammers bypassing the switchboard to your room....offering a 50% discount for card information-posing as the front desk clerks...they do all the hotels in the area..dont ever give out that information over the phone..hang up.
We stayed here while visiting my parents the day after Christmas. We had recently stayed at a “renovated” hotel in November and they just put lipstick on a pig. However, Best Western did renovate this hotel and it looks amazing! We enjoyed our stay very much. One recommendation, don't stay on the first floor; it was kind of noisy. Would def recommend this hotel for the price.
This hotel is very nice.. The part we really liked was it was between Knoxville and Pigeon Forge which was perfect for us.And we were able to back and forth between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg and then knoxville
This suite was very nice. The staff was pleasant upon our arrival. Surprised to find a large heated indoor pool. Breakfast was typical of most hotels but the food was fresh and hot items were actually hot. Great coffee.
This hotel is one of the best we have stayed in at Pigeon Forge, Sevierville or Kodiak. Very clean, great staff, comfortable beds, great breakfast. We will definitely stay here again and look forward to it.
No complaints and we would definitely go back. The room was clean, modern and the breakfast was delicious. The pool was great too. I wish we had more time to enjoy the fire pit outside. We were traveling to the Wilderness in the Smokies. We enjoyed the beds better at this hotel. They were much more comfortable.
rooms were super clean, staff was friendly, great location. love the outdoor fire pit. the breakfast was good but not great. still very pleased with the food. would stay here again. I must say that best western has upped their game
I have never stayed at a Best Western before and I have to say this hotel was very nice. It was very clean, rooms were very nice with comfortable beds. Price included free breakfast, wifi and parking. It was very affordable, we even had a dog and they only charged $15 for the dog, which is great compared to other hotel chains. I would highly recommend this hotel!!
My wife and I was in the Kodak - Sevierville area to cist family therefore; we stayed at tgis facility. The hotel is in a convenient location to I40, the Bass Pro shop, Smokies baseball field and, all of the regular shops to visit in Sevierville. Good staff, good breakfast bar and clean rooms.
I had previously stayed in a Best Western Plus here in Summerville, and it was horrible. This Best Western in Kodak was wonderful. Super clean, nice rooms, and great price! We will definitely be back!
The hotel looked brand new. It was very clean and welcoming. The lady at the front desk was very helpful, friendly, and professional. The fitness room was nice. I didn't use it, but I did look at it. I was told about the daily hot breakfast of sausage, eggs, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, waffles, etc. My husband and I had to leave early, so we missed breakfast. There is also an indoor pool with a fireplace. We didn't bring swimsuits, so no pool for us. The room was super clean and the beds were so very comfortable!! The price was right too. If I ever travel that way again, I will definitely make it a point to stay at this hotel.
My family and I went to the hotel and to our surprise everything was wonderful!!!, express checkout was great no hassles, added bonus was a full delicious breakfast free and with the five of us that saved 50 dollars that we used to snowtube in Gatlinburg. The rate was awesome and fit our budget. From now on that will be the choice for us when we go to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.
This is close enough to Sevierville Pigeon Forge area but far enough away from the hustle and bustle. Great location and clean. The staff was friendly. Easy in and out. Lots of good restaurants close by.
We stayed here 3 nights during the Thanksgiving weekend and enjoyed this hotel. The beds were very comfortable. Enjoyed the breakfast next door at Flapjacks within walking distance. Will stay here again next year.
This hotel is a halfway point while traveling to our hometown. It is conveniently located off the interstate. The facility must have recently been renovated because it is not what you think of with a Best Western!!! Everything is modern and clean!! The front desk staff was friendly and accomadating. The room was clean and comfortable. The pool is heated and open 24/7 and there is a lovely firepit out front that the kids loved!!!! A wonderful start to our Thanksgiving holiday!!! We will return!!!
This was a very clean and nice hotel. We brought our 2 dogs with... Very pet friendly but slightly amazed at how LITTLE grass they had for the pets. Will definitely stay again when traveling through/around the area.
From the time I walked through the front doors to the minute I checked out was one of the best experiences I have encountered at a hotel. Starting with the lobby and ending in the room everything was impeccable. One of the nicest rooms I have stayed in lately. However, the staff is what really makes this hotel click. Christy at the front desk is simply amazing and very charismatic. She alone, because of her warmth and give a care attitude about the guest, is why I stayed a second night, If you are in their city and need a place to stay, you definitely cannot go wrong with this hotel and wonderful staff.
Honestly I was surprised by this Best Western! It was clean, the Staff was friendly and the location was perfect if you are planning a trip to Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg. We have stayed at some awful hotels so I just assumed all hotels were at the same standard. But this one was amazing! From the moment you arrived in the parking lot, you could see the work and effort they had put into the hotel. The lobby was very welcoming as was the staff. The room was very clean and seemed to have high end finishing's. Our room had a king size bed with a balcony, and was right beside the elevator. We never had a problem with the noise. We really enjoyed the fire pit area late at night. I was very impressed with my stay at the hotel. Price wise, it was very reasonable. My husband and I would honestly drive the 4 hours to Kodak just to stay in this hotel again!
You could tell they were one of the newer places and it was very nice and clean....The smell was very nice and the staff were very friendly....The pool and breakfast room was nice.....The fire pit was a welcoming sight at night.....The breakfast room and food was very nice....
We needed an economical, pet-friendly hotel near Pigeon Forge, during the high season. I thought, "Good Luck!" since I figured everything would be booked except the dirtiest places. The reviews for this hotel were very good, but I was afraid it was too far out from Pigeon Forge. However, this was not the case at all! The hotel is only minutes from the Parkway, and then a straight shot into Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, and Gatlinburg. Check in was a breeze, and they let us check in at 11:30 a.m. at no extra charge since the room was already clean. And it really was clean! The room was spotless and very comfortable. It was also very quiet. We were right near the stairwell and the side entrance with ice and drinks, but we never heard any noise from inside or outside the hotel. The indoor pool was warm and big enough for real swimming, and there were pool towels so we didn't have to use up bath towels. Breakfast was delicious! Pancakes, waffles, cereal, eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, oatmeal, muffins, fruit, yogurt, juice, coffee -- everything you could possibly want! The staff was very friendly and seemed to sincerely enjoy helping guests -- old and young, two- and four-legged. We will definitely be back! I just wish we could take this hotel with us everywhere we travel!
Room was very nice. Paper thin walls. We could clearly hear people talking in the halls. We also were on the ground floor of a parking facing room. Car headlights shown all over the room and we could hear everything outside. Won't stay here again. Also was given the impression they don't like people who don't book direct. I was told my provider (Booking.com) cancelled my reservation and they had not. Front desk acted as though I should just leave.
Stayed here 3 nights while in Sevierville region. Rates were very reasonable. Good complimentary breakfast available daily. Used Fitness Center but Swiss balls under inflated making them useless. Did use Business Center without difficulty. Free coffee/tea in lobby all the time. Thermostat in room didn't seem to be functioning properly- couldn't get room warm enough at night as cold spell descended. Has nice outdoor firepit and indoor pool and each room has nice little outdoor sitting area. Very close to I-40 so traffic noise of trucks as welll as sirens disturb your sleep.
Need I say more? Bugs everywhere, we got another room that had bugs too. Staff was nice, she tried to help but the house keeping didnt clean the rooms properly. Breakfast was good, but we couldnt wait to get out of there. Will not go back
Very satisfied with the Best Western in Kodak, TN. Would stay there again. The rooms were clean and the staff was helpful and very friendly. Great coffee and continental breakfast too. Thank you Best Western.
Stopped in for a night on the road. For what you pay, this place is fabulous. Great amenities, very clean, and friendly staff. It was better than Marriott, Holiday Inn Express, and doubletree's that I have stayed at. Will stay again.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with this place. I am a return customer and will use this hotel again. Comfortable bed, nice bedding, good TV, clean room and everything works. Decent water-pressure in the shower. Reasonably priced.
Hotel was very new and very clean. Loved my balcony room. Price was low based on the quality of the property overall. Convenient to Interstate and several shops and restaurants near by. Will definitely stay again if in the area and recommend to friends and family.
Our experience at this hotel couldn't have been better. Right at check-in we were greeted warmly, and shown to their excellent fire pit to relax while one of the staff offered great advice on where to eat, what to see, and where to shop. Couldn't have been more professional, and the decor of both the room and lobby were great. Bonus points for 24-hour heated indoor pool and fitness center.
Quick stop on our way to Gatlinburg. Wishing now we had booked more nighys. Front desk staff was wonderful even at late arrival. 24 hour pool, fire pit and gym was nice and clean although we only looked around. Big beds were very comforrable although a bit forner than I prefer. Updted bathroom and lots of space. A great deal for the price.
Nice, clean updated rooms. Location very convenient and easy to access from interstate. Continental breakfast was great! Will definitely be staying here again! Next time we will check out the fire pit!
The employees were very welcoming and I sensed they were happy to see me. Their exchange with other guests likewise. The few questions I had were answered with much enthusiasm and correctly leaving no confusion with the directions.
I will recommend Best Western to friends and family, very clean and newer nice size rooms. The staff were kind and helpful. Nice fire pit outside, indoor pool, gym. Convenient to all the places we visited.
Neat and tidy, newley remodled and could smell the newness when we walked in, nice staff they want to do whatever they can to make your stay great, breakfast was good, clean, beds were comfortable, all was well except seeing hair on the towels not sure why there was hair on almost everyone of them. But besides that I would reccomend staying there and would come back.
Nicely renovated. Rooms are spacious and comfy. Very quiet except for somebody's unruly kids screeching through the hallways. It's a hike into Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg from here, but mainly because of the traffic congestion. Noticed a nice firepit outside for guests. They had a comfy little lounging area in the lobby with a couch and tv and a couple computers for guest useage. Staff was friendly. Check in is at 3:00 pm and we arrived at 2:30 - could not check in. After a 12 hour drive, it was a bit frustrating to have to wait that extra 20 minutes it took to complete the room cleaning. Same old continental breakfast offered - muffins, bagels, cereal, fruit, etc... We stayed here as a side trip on our way to North Carolina. The road outside the hotel is extremely busy and appears to be a main trunk into Pigeon Forge. Coming and going from the hotel here is not a cake walk. However, it is away from the circus of Pigeon Forge and all it's trappings, so just that alone makes it a more quiet place to stay and relax. We give it a 90% satisfaction score.
It was very clean, newly renovated. Close to the Interstate, has a firepit, swimming pool. The staff was friendly, helpful and nice. The bed was so COMFORTABLE!!! The food was at the right temperature
We stayed on the 3rd floor - hotel was quiet and updated nicely. There is a 'little' bit of road noise, but nothing to cry over - it's next to a highway - to be expected. Check in was friendly and quick. Hotel was clean and looked nice. Room was in great shape overall. Parking was fine even on busier nights. The breakfast area is a bit small - and like another reviewer said a bit on the carb offering side, but was well stocked. I will state the lady running the breakfast bar was AWESOME and SUPER friendly. Job well done - we felt right at home. We did not use the pool, but it looked nice and clean. We did not use the internet - don't know how it was. Only complaint - and we could have called and fixed this - so it's EXTREMELY minor in nature - just a notation really, we needed a new ice bucket liner - but it never got replaced in 4 days while we were there. We just used a gallon ziplock we had on us. However, housekeeping did a nice job with the room each day - so we weren't upset and we know we could have called - just noting so management can remind them to replace it as part of their process. Great stay overall - we were very happy with the hotel and would return.
My wife and I stopped in this Best Western late at night. The first thing we saw was a big sitting area with a gas fire blazing. I thought that was pretty cool. We checked in after midnight and had no issues. The woman at the desk was very helpful. The room is pretty big and very clean. The bed was very comfortable too. Overall this hotel is top notch in my book. I highly recommend it.
Good location, quiet, friendly staff. Enjoyed our stay until the morning we were packing to leave and a large crawling bug came out from behind the tv. Not sure what it was. We informed the staff before we left. So was glad to get out of the room.
great place to stay. The fire pit was excellent. Close to all areas, price was excellent. All the folks I worked with went above and beyond. We stayed in a Handicap room my wife has COP and she loved it there.
excellent staff and convenient location....always a pleasure to stay at this location since they have reopened....renovation provides some of the better accomodations in the area and access to the sights and attractions in the smokies
OK, let's get to the not great moments first, they were tiny. Upon entry, nobody in sight and no bell to summon an employee. I called the hotel from my cell phone and as the hotel phone rang, an employee came to answer it. No problem. Our room on the 2nd floor midway sounded as if the person above was taking a looking shower, very noisy. Turns out it was the laundry room above us. Back to the lobby for a new room. No problem. The next morning the password no longer worked for the free internet. No biggie. But, the hotel looked great as did both rooms we visited. As stated by others her, the beds were comfortable and high. (Be sure to read other comments about the high beds), clean quiet, no closet, but a wardrobe...mid level height that you might wish was taller. Overall, very satisfied. You'll be too.
This hotel was wonderful. Everything was new, the beds were very comfortable and although limited, the breakfast was acceptable. The coffee was great. We were on the first floor but the room still had a small balcony area with a couple of chairs. It was a very nice touch. I really could not more strongly recommend a moderately priced hotel that allows dogs in the USA.
We stopped here last night on our way to Asheville and were very pleasantly surprised. We were greeted by Courtney and Ashley upon checking in, who were very friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and extremely clean and quiet. The bed was hands down the MOST comfortable bed in any hotel I've been to. Was sorry we only spent one night here. Planning on visiting the area in the future and will definitely be staying here!!!
As a woman single traveler my main objective was safety- I didn't expect swanky also! The property is very well cared for - not just your standard hotel top-coat. Everything was really really nice. I even received a call earlier in the day to confirm my info so that check-in could go faster. The rates are really low for the quality of room. Don't expect soft luxurious towels or swanky toiletries though. But the bed was great!
Carpet stains upon check in - housekeeping did not: replace used cups, replace bath mat, refresh ice bucket, vacuum floor - pet potty spots sparse and inadequate - parking is narrow and crowded - desk staff very nice and professional
stayed here for the night came down just to get away for the weekend and eat. price was reasonable and the rooms was very very clean bed sleeps great bed was a little high off the floor wish me and the wife would have taken advantage of that but she said no. next time we stay. it be game on. still great stay clean hotel will be back.
We enjoyed our visit. We wish we could have stayed longer. It was near Gatlingburg but we didn't have the business of Gatlingburg. If you want to visit this area Best Western would be ideal. I have stayed in Motels a lot more expensive that weren't near as nice.
The front desk lady named Tammy was the best. Couldn't have asked for better. After a long day of riding on a motorcycle she made our stay very easy and pleasant. Thank you again. We would definitely stay at this hotel again and recommend it to anyone in that area. Very nice
The stay was awesome and they have a indoor pool Wi-Fi fitness center fire pit and the staff was amazing and very helpful I will be going to stay there again can't beat the location close to Gatlinburg and pigeon forge and interstate
I was apprehensive about staying here but I was very pleasantly surprised. The hotel is new and very clean. The rooms are spacious and decorated nicely. Our room had a balcony where we sat and enjoyed the night. There is a fire pit also. I really enjoyed staying here and will do so again.
This hotel is the most modern, cleanest, well-designed facillity we have stayed in regardless of price. Staff is excellent and responsive. Its location is easy-on, easy-off the interstate (I40) within blocks of gas and great restaurants. It is the entrance to the Great Smoky Mts. Natl. Park.
This was our second stop on our ten day road trip. Really nice hotel in a pretty area. The room was ready upon our arrival. The staff was friendly to us (there were a LOT of people trying to get a room for a night as it was the night before the eclipse and it was also a NASCAR weekend), and the outdoor fire pit was adorable. Our room was clean and big enough for the 4 of us and ALL our luggage. My 12 year old enjoyed sitting on the patio outside the room. The kids loved the indoor pool with the open air feeling (they had the windows open). The breakfast in the morning was kind of ... blah, but we had other breakfast plans so we didn't mind. If we are in the area again, and we do plan to be, we would definitely book here again!
We had a pretty good stay this hotel. Friendly staff, spacious n clean-for most part-rooms. Nice decor, pool/fire pit, and small fitness room. Breakfast items weren't really stocked. Only real negative was i received a call saying that the towels were not in the room when housekeeping arrived. But were later "found..."
Great hotel. The staff was extremely friendly. Everything was clean. The indoor pool was relaxing: loved that it never closes. Sat outside on patio and enjoyed the fireplace. The breakfast could use a little more something.
After having difficulty finding a hotel to accept pets in Knoxville, we pulled off I40 and took a chance at this Best Western. Fortunately they did accept pets and I was especially happy after seeing our accommodations. The front staff was pleasant and helpful, the lobby was clean and beautifully decorated. We were given instructions on the facilities and recommendations for local dining. The room was beyond expectation, obviously this is a newer hotel the furnishings were modern and comfortable. Everything was clean and pleasant smelling. The beds were comfortable, , we had an outdoor patio. The breakfast are was well maintained and served the usual food items. In regards to a pet area, there was not a grassy area, but when I am traveling with my pet, I look for a hotel that will accept pets, is clean and offers what I need. Very few hotels accept pets now and this hotel exceeded my expectations.
Our stay at this Best Western met our needs. We found the room to be updated, clean and quiet. Hotel is convenient to interstate and you will find many restaurant options, especially if you make the short hop in to Sevierville. Our dog traveled with us. Unfortunately, this hotel provides very minimal area for dogs to do their business. Highly doubt if I would stay here again, as many other hotels now offer better service areas for our four legged buddies.
Will definitely stay here again. Spacious clean room. Everyone very pleasant and helpful. Great rates and the restaurant next door was excellent. Flapjacks pancake cabin great location. Easy to get to Fire pit is a nice touch. And the pool is great
Clean, friendly, good place for quick overnight stay. Just traveling through; would certainly consider for longer stay! Plan to stop here often as I will be making this trip to see my kids and grandkids now that I have retired!
We stayed at Kodak Best Western because it was convenient to our house hunting area and reasonably priced. The hotel was very clean and newly renovated. Pool was nice and we loved sitting out by the fire at night with a glass of wine to relax at days end. Met some great people that way. Breakfast was good but could use a few more hot items, eggs and sausage or biscuits and gravy would be nice. Very friendly and helpful staff. We'll stay here again when we come back for closing.
One of the best BEST WESTERN HOTELS that I have stayed. The location is so perfect right off the hwy exit. There are plenty of restaurants close by. The hotel is fairly new so your room is just beautiful and so clean , the shower was great. The breakfast bar had the best selection ever. I will stay at this hotel again, I highly recommend it !
This stay in general was very nice! The room was very clean and looked very nice. Had ample room to move around. Highly recommend this hotel. The only downfall was the seating area for the complimentary breakfast, there just isn't enough space. Outside of that we had a great stay and would stay again if in the area.
excellent Best Western. Was traveling with my dog to the eclipse in Spring City, TN. The hotel is conveniently located off of Rt 40 on rt66. the directv service and wifi were really nice. everything in the room worked well. only thing i didn't really like was the fence outside the room on the patio as I couldn't get my dog in and out of the room without going through the corridor of the hotel. I am a big fan of Best Western when traveling with a dog.
Great hotel to stay at. It's close to I-40 and Pigeon Forge, and a short drive to Gatlinburg. The cost was lower than the online rate for the location in Pigeon Forge. Large, clean rooms and a quiet A/C unit. Only complaint was the continental breakfast not having any real protien options, other microwavable sandwiches.
I can't say enough about good things about this hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful. We arrived at 11:00 at night and they were smiling and pleasant. We sat outside at the fire pit to relax after our long drive. The pool looked nice but we didn't have time to use it. The hotel is decorated nicely and is spotless. Tweeds are very comfortable. Also is convenient to the highway. Stay here!
Stayed here twice. Both times check in staff was very accommodating and helpful. I will definitely stay here again. This appears to be a new hotel and is well located off of interstate. Room was spacious and quiet.
Service was great. New equipment in fitness center. Swimming pool is also great - loved pool open all day. The fire pit was wonderful. Tami was very helpful. The lady at breakfast was pleasant. Love the express check out.
Loved our stay here. Very clean and could tell that it was newly renovated. I asked where the fitness center was, since I had been sitting in a van all day. Not only did the friendly front desk person walk me directly to the fitness center, she got up on the elliptical to show me how to work it :) The pool was a huge hit with the kids who had also been trapped in the van all day - perfect temp. Very nice breakfast, super helpful staff, fire pit in the evening was a nice touch. Would recommend this place for sure!
This was a very convenient stop for us and the price was good. It was on the way to Pidgeon Forge but a little cheaper than what you would find there. The place looked brand new. I would definitely stay here again.
We stayed here for 1 night the rooms were clean and recently remodelled we have a corner room and it was quite. There was a fire pit and pool open 24 hrs. We did not take advantage of them but all areas were clean the mining breakfast was standard and well maintained . We would stop in here again.
This was our first time at this Best Western normally we stay at Plaza Inn further into Pigeon Forge. We stayed for one night and this was a nice hotel. Very clean. Small indoor pool but very nice overall.
The Best Western in Kodak TN is one of the best hotels I've stayed in this area. Clean, updated, comfy beds and rooms are large. Very well maintained hotel. Location is close to highway and a short drive to all attractions.
A clean, well-run, and up-to-date place to stay - very enjoyable. My wife was pleased with the rolled fluffy towels abundantly supplied in the vestibule below the sink in the bathroom. It was a high-class, comfortable and clean room. The beds were extremely comfortable and served us well.
I am very hard to please when it comes to hotels, mostly because Im a clean freak. This hotel was wonderful! Check in was a breeze, sweet girls working. Room was spacious, CLEAN, and a nice lay out. All staff was friendly and nice, gals at the breakfast area were wonderful. Housekeeping staff were fantastic. Something i love is when they make your beds and include your kids stuffed animals and blankets. They did this here and only have ever done it at 1 other hotel we have stayed at in 10 years. It makes it feel so much more like home. Well done to the entire staff on being sweet, kind and keeping a clean, comfy hotel! We will be back and if all Best Westerns are like this we have a new favorite chain!!
The folks at the desk were super friendly & helpful. We loved being able to hangout around the fire pit while the kids went swimming. If you're not looking to stay right in town, you definitely can not go wrong staying at this Best Western.
This hotel is clean and had no bugs. Unfortunately, this is something we all need to be looking for when checking into any hotel. This best western has a great staff, they are friendly and helpful in every way. Everything looked nice and clean. The breakfast was very good. The fire pit is lovely at night. The pool is also clean and open 24 hours, which was perfect for kiddos.
Was nice and clean for at BW. Only stayed 1 night but it was great. The breakfast could have been a lil better but for the price it was great. Will lool forward to staying again in the near future. TY
Booked this hotel for our baseball team. The hotel is in great shape. We loved the fire pit. We were offered and amazing rate and couldn't have been more pleased. Jessica was delightful to work with and I appreciate all her help and efforts during our booking process. We would stay here again if in the area. Our entire group was pleased.
We had a very nice stay!!! Would definitely stay here again!! The beds were very comfortable!! The room was clean and the employees were very nice and helpful!!!! It was in a great location and easy access!!!!
Pros and cons. The staff when checking in were very friendly. Room was nice and beds were comfortable. Read a former post and laughed at how they wrote about cleaning people not restocking in room coffee supplies and then ours wasn't restocked so we felt the same way. Cleaning was ok daily. Shower wasn't cleaned and bathroom floor wasn't swept. Mentioned something as a fyi to front desk. Breakfast was fine. Good selection and friendly staff. Plenty of space to eat. Liked the convenience of the hotel to attractions. You don't get caught up in major traffic issues getting in and out. Nice indoor pool area also. All in all would stay here again. Too bad were not beer drinkers as last occupants left us some bud light in the fridge, lol.
Excellent stay!! We will definitely be visiting again. The hotel was in excellent condition and the rooms were fantastic. We had no issues whatsoever during our stay. The front staff and cleaning staff were very accommodating.. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
The bed was uncomfortable to me but other family members had no problem. We decided to stay an extra night and this was easily taken care of. There is a FlapJack pancake house right next door and the service there was excellent as well. I recommend this hotel highly.
We spent two nights here. It's very convenient to I-40 as well as the attractions of Pigeon Forge/Gatlingburg. Just a short drive to the outlets and plenty of great restaurants. The property is away from the hustle and bustle of staying on the parkway. You can take a nice drive to town and park and ride the trolley if you wish. The rooms were nice and the entire hotel was superb. It has been recently remodeled. Would definitely stay here again. The staff was very courteous. Easy in and out as well.
We go to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge every year. This was our first time staying in Kodak because it was a last minute weekend getaway. This hotel is small, but nice. Good rate for last minute. The indoor pool was very cold, but the fire pit patio is very nice. The room was nice and clean too. We didn't eat breakfast there, we always eat at the local restaurants. Very nice in Kodak. Some traffic going into Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg
We stayed for 5 nights. Clean & spacey rooms. We Loved having a balcony off of every room. Fire pit at night and swimming area is indoors for rainy weather. The staff are a great example of southern hospitality. Greeting with a smile and asked how we were doing. They were able to give advice in places to visit and eat. Only don't fall of this stay was there are no microwaves in the rooms (only a fridge) and the breakfast is carbs galore! Waffles, muffins, cereal, hardly any protein. Hard boiled eggs and yogurt was it. Of course it had a flap jack pancake cabin right next door that is awesome. The workout room was great as well. Could have had a fan but it was nice to have yoga mats and dumb bells. (Not just a treadmill and a elliptical.) Thank you for the stay at a awesome rate!!! Keep up the great work!
The room was dirty and the staff was not friendly... the pool has all kinds of hair balls in it... the room had a awful odor and 1/2 the light did not work... the water pressure was awful and overall experience was awful
We were very impressed with the hotel. Very clean, modern and updated. Not what I was expecting from a Best Western that I remembered from years past! We will definitely stay here again if we are ever in the area. Surprised at the reasonable nightly rate also!
Customer service was terrible. Steve the general manager was rude and wouldn't take ownership for his employees mistakes. Terrible sewer smell and our toilet was clogged up. Wouldn't even look to get is another room. Lots of water in hallway from the bathrooms leaking you had to walk thru. Bugs in the pool. They didn't make our beds. Someone is going to be burnt because there are no sleeves for the coffee cups. Will never stay here or recommend this place to anyone. The only good part was the fire pit.
Room was clean and cool with firm mattresses, nice smooth bedding, good strong shower, good TV that can connect with DVD player etc. This hotel is located ideally for those that like the big flea market in Sevierville. Everything works and is nice. It has recently been remodeled.
Great hotel, very recently updated. Everything was new, and clean! Would definitely recommend. Not a far drive into pigeon forge. Nice indoor pool, with a fire pit right outside. We will definitely be back!
This hotel looks recently updated. My room is gorgeous. The whole place smells nice and new. The pool is very nice and clean. It is heated with windows all around for light and breeze. The front desk has been very nice. I'm extremely pleased and will definitely stay here all the time.
This is a nice, clean, new or newly renovated property that is very economical if you don't mind a 20 minute or so drive into Sevierville. Unfortunately if you have a family member in a wheelchair it is not so good. First the beds are higher than normal height which, while being fashionable and trendy, are extremely difficult to get in and out of if you are normally in a wheelchair. Second, the shower is a roll in shower which is good however, it is not so good when you try to use it. There is no soap dish in the shower to place your shampoo and soap. What they expect you to do with the soap and shampoo is a mystery. The shower head is not a removable hand held or adjustable mount like most other accessible showers but rather a "rain shower" style fixed head which again, while again certainly fashionable, requires you to turn on the water and adjust the temperature then turn it off and wheel the wheelchair into the shower to transfer the occupant to a shower stool placed immediately under the shower head then turn the water back on and hope to hit the right temperature and not freeze or burn them. Of course, with the shower constantly on the person it is difficult to accomplish tasks like shampooing or washing the person as the water is constantly on or you go through the shower on, shower off routine again. All this comes under, "What were they thinking?" as the designers were absolutely clueless. They should spend some time with handicapped people or, better yet, duct tape a variety of leg and arm combinations to restrict their mobility and navigate the room and shower in a wheelchair to get a feel for what works. Generally, the room service was spotty. There was a half roll of TP with no spare when we checked in. The next day all the used soap and shampoo was removed but no replacements were provided. The the in room coffee service had three packs of decaf and one regular coffee. The coffee maker was not cleaned and no more coffee or cups were provided but we did get a spare roll of TP and new shampoo and soap. I guess that was a moral victory of sorts. Lastly, the coffee in the lobby was from a machine and was awful, to say the least. I've had serviceable coffee from machines in hotels before but this wasn't close to anything remotely resembling coffee. The breakfast was minimal, hard boiled eggs, some fruit, cereal some bread and a waffle machine.
Warm reception at the desk. Cozy gas fire pit seating to enjoy the evening. Freshly redecorated lobby and rooms make it s brand new hotel! Sink area in the room is separate from the tub & toilet. Exhaust fan to keep the steam at bay. Close to the highway and a pancake house is next door.
My husband and I were on our return trip home and stopped for the night. The hotel was very clean, staff very helpful, as we were trying to locate a nearby point of interest. The room was great, and the bed very comfortable and we both had a wonderful night's rest before continuing the journey home. For the price, you just can not go wrong! We have stayed at more expensive hotels and not had any better experience and paid twice as much!. We would both definitely recommend BW to stay for the night or longer!
You never know what you're walking into when it comes to hotels. I was beyond happy with our experience. Other than slow check-in, the room was clean. It almost seemed/smelled newly renovated. We would definitely stay here again.
Other than the slow check-in, this hotel gets 5 stars. You never know what you're getting into with hotels and I was super happy about how clean this one was. It's almost as if they renovated recently, which is possible. The city lost power and the front desk was light-hearted about it. It was nice that we could still get in our room even though the power was out.
My family loved this hotel. Everything was CLEAN! The rooms were very spacious and we loved the balcony. Pool and firepit area was very nice also. The breakfast room was immaculate with nice ladies there to help. We will be back soon!!
Wonderful place and very satisfied with everything. Wonderful staff, very clean, most updated place I have ever stayed. Very reasonable priced and very convenient to everything. Beautiful fire pit outside with chairs!!
My family visited the Gatlinburg area for a long weekend and were looking for a hotel close to 40 as we were going to be arriving late and didn't want to drive any farther then wee had to. After checking reviews on hotels in the Kodak area I decided on the Best Western. This hotel exceeded all of my expectations for this chain. Very clean, modern amenities and grounds. Check - in was a breeze and we were greeted with smiling and welcoming staff. Our room was fantastic! Very roomy, amazing beds, private balcony and great restroom and shower. Everything about our stay was perfect and would not hesitate to book with them again!
Just stayed here last week. It was completely remodeled very clean. The staff was nice new beds very quiet. The only thing that was lacking in my opinion was the breakfast very basic but for the price I would definitely stay here again.
Decided last minute to go watch a Smokeys baseball game. We wanted to stay near the stadium for just one night. Found the Best Western in Kodak. Brand new hotel. Great location to I-40. Clean spacious room with a modern feel. Staff was friendly and informative about the pool, fitness center and outdoor fire pit. We will return.
Best Western Hotel is the best hotel I've stayed in that actually shown pictures on there websites that's accurate. The rooms were so beautiful, clean, and staff was nice and helpful. Also, did I mention affordable.
I remember seeing this hotel in past trips, now it has an entire new look outside and inside! Rooms are huge, great king size bed that is amazing. Bathroom and shower is full tile and perfect for someone that is taller such as I am. I'm traveling to this area a few times a week so I will definitely be staying here again.
I was at this hotel with my two granddaughters and had one of the best stays I have experienced We went to Dolly Wood and this location makes the trip so easy. After we came out the area has everything that you need and is a lot less congested. The indoor pool was great and the fire pit is a great plus. The room was in great shape. The new lighting around the beds was great to read by. The staff Kristin and the manager Staven were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast bar is different from what I am used to but it was OK.
Very professional and friendly staff! Heated indoor pool was great and outdoor fire pit was a plus, and we used the fitness center to the fullest. Great location for travelers passing by, Returning soon!
Jessica was a pleasure at check in very welcoming and Steven couldn't have been nicer when I checked out. Both were conversational and knowledgeable of the area and just made you feel like family coming for a stay. Will definitely recommend to anyone coming to the area
The staff was amazing! They were so friendly and willing to help with anything I needed! They truly accommodated me. Along with a friendly staff, the hotel it's self was awesome. Very clean, well kept, and new! The beds were incredibly soft, great wifi, and great breakfast! Location was also good. Great restaurants and sights to see all around. Overall, I was so pleased with my experience. I would definitely recommend and I will going back soon!
Hotel was right off the interstate .The breakfast was great and staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and looked really new. My family and i enjoyed fire pit at night it was amazing. we will definitely recommend and return soon.
I recently stayed at this new property and it was beautiful. The rooms were nicely decorated and the bed were so comfortable. The breakfast was great also with waffles and selection of yogurts. Our family really enjoyed the pool and plan to return very soon!
Staff was very friendly at check in and check out but this was the only thing about the stay that was a pleasant experience. I was told that it was the hotels opening day upon booking and that the hotel offered 24 hour access to a heated indoor pool, outdoor fire pit, WiFi access, breakfast included, and workout facility. This all sounded very accommodating and I was pleased that I would be staying in a new facility that had just been renovated. Upon arrival I called the front desk to ask where I got pool towels as I wanted to take a swim and I was informed that the pool wasn't opening for another 24 hours as they had just treated it. When the pool was finally opened I went by to check it out prior to suiting up and I found that the pool was cold as ice when I was originally told it was heated so I didn't swim during my stay to say the least. Also the breakfast was less than appealing and I had to eat elsewhere to get full as the only protein option was cheap yogurt. The room seemed nice enough but upon showering and using the sink I found that there was no water pressure and the temperature was barely luke warm so I kept my showers as short as I could because it was freezing but it took forever to rinse the shampoo out of my hair because of the lack of pressure. Lastly sleep was an issue as the walls are not insulated well so you can hear staff and other guest conversations clearly and I had a door outside of my room that didn't have a latch that the wind kept blowing open and closed each night keeping me awake as it slammed shut. For the price I didn't think the hotel amenities offered $100/night stay quality personally but you be the judge of that if you give them a shot!
Great looking place stayed 3 nights was clean neat loved it had a issue with hot water but the manager did all in his power to correct it very happy with our stay wifi actually worked unlike most places beds was very nice and slept wonderfully
drink's are a lil pricey , take ur own . but loved the room and atmosphere , will be back for christmas :) nice people at front desk and located near 407 :) :) verrrry affordable !!happy holidays everyone
I would not stay at this hotel again if it was the last place with a room for 100 miles, I would rather sleep in my car!!! I had read the reviews on here and was in hesitant about stay but decided to keep the reservation anyway since we were in such a pinch for a room. I had asked for a ground floor room due to the fact that two members of our party have health and ambulatory issues, but we were instead put on the third floor, while there was a elevator in the event of a fire it would be difficult for those people to get out, well at 1:30 in the morning the fire alarm went off, and we could not tell if it was an emergency, lucky it was not, but we were not appologized to by the staff at all or nor did they even recognize that it had happened. While sitting in the room at night we looked over near the refirgeratior and saw 2 roaches crawling on the fridge. we immediately killed them, as the night went on and into the next morning over 25 roaches and other bugs were killed in our room!!! This was unacceptable. So frustrated with this place they need to exterminate and consider knocking it down and trying again.
This place doesn't even deserve 1 star. This is just an awful place to visit. The smell was so nauseous. The bedding had such a foul smell to it, that we couldn't even use it. We used the sheet only. The floor was dirty, my daughter took her shoes off & walked from the bed to the patio & her socks were black. The few other families that blindly booked this awful place thought it would be fun to slam doors all night, when I called the front desk, I was told "there's nothing I can do". We couldn't stand the nauseous smell any longer & didn't even finish our stay there. Also, stay away from the vending machine on the 2nd floor, everything in there expired in August & October 2015. It's obvious they change the name of the hotel frequently. The cups inside room say Ramada & the other things say Motel 6. Run! Run as fast as you can.
Not only sid the fire alarm go off.. you couldnt hear it in half the rooms.. we all would have burned up has it been a real fore...Is it really too much to ask to put a fitted sheet on the beds? Or get more than one towel.. the free breakfast included a box of donuts and coffee.. we were hoping to get in the pool.. which is the only reason we booked this hotel.. and the pool is closed.. everything does still say motel 6... there is great potential for these to be nice.. but there's very little effort, time, or money put into making it a decent place to stay.. I advise you to STAY AWAY from this place.. days inn is across the street and way nicer.. same prices..
The smell in this hotel is nauseous. The room smells exactly the same, we had to leave the balcony door cracked at all times because the smell is so bad. It's extremely dirty. The bedding smells something awful. We prepaid in advance, so we are stuck here for the remainder of our trip. We dread having to come back here at night. There was hair all in the bed. This building is in a massive need of upgrades. & do not eat from the vending machines, we found that most everything is expired! Save yourself some nausea ....keep driving.
