Best Western Huntsville Inn & Suites

Always a great stay. Nice, clean rooms, nice TVs, nice staff, and breakfast is a plus. We always stay here when we are in the area. Great price for a great stay. I look forward to my stay in Huntsville every time. The front desk staff is always a pleasure.

Not the quality I would expect from a best western. Kind of worn down. Room comfort and bed were ok. Toilet seat was so loose you almost fell off. Sink very high. Breakfast was not kept fresh and full. Was a good selection however one day eggs were out, one day gravy empty. If cooler had yogurt it was just one flavor. Container for tea bags always empty. Only bananas for fruit and maybe 3 of them.

Let me say first of all that this hotel is very nice. I was not expecting it to be as clean or the breakfast to be good. However, I was expecting the bare minimum for my request for my room. I have a sports injury and am awaiting surgery. I do not have the ability to take time off because I run my own business. I needed and requested a first floor room or an ADA room. They put me on the 2nd floor. When I explained the mistake I was told they felt bad but didn't have the accommodations I needed(non smoking ada or 1st floor room). I was forced to carry my luggage up stairs , thankfully I was able to use my suitcase as a crutch to steady myself on the stairs. This shouldn't happen. The request was in my booking. Now I'm dealing w increased swelling and pain yesterday and today. Sunday I wasn't even able to fit my brace on my knee due to the swelling.

SCAM stay away!!! They rented me a room with a broken chair & then charged my card twice before check out time. First charge was for $300 it was declined, I immediately went to turn my card off, but they had charged me 100 during the 2 seconds it took to lock my debit card. I am reporting this FRAUD to my bank. It's a set up. The iron or the chair is already broken, so they can charge the next person for it again & again. They steal from guests. Do yourself a favor & don't stay here.

Was nice hotel near the interstate highway, easy walk to an ALDI for any snacks you might want. Staff was very friendly and the rooms were comfortable. Entrance from main road was easy to drive by so be aware that you might drive past it

Couldn't regulate the temperature in the room. Phone kept ringing at 3am, until we unplugged it. The breakfast was terrible, very little food, mostly cold. Only the waffle maker was good. Would not return to this hotel again.

The entire motel and room was very clean and comfortable. Many places to visit and to eat very close by. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Very comfortable bed and hot shower. Even though motel was very busy , the room was quiet. Highly Recommend.

The room was spacious, the exterior was well-lit, the staff were all friendly, yet the whole place had the look and feel of being just bare minimum as far as upkeep. When I went to get in the bed the carpet beside the bed was wet. Using the shower with the curtain fully closed the next morning resulted in water in the floor of the tub/toilet area. When checking out, we alerted the desk clerk of the problem, and surely it will be rectified. Breakfast was bare minimum as well. This property was a good price compared to others in the area, but I will not plan to stay there again.

Very quiet stay for outdoor rooms. Wasnt alot of loud people hanging around the building. Felt very safe. Clean room would stay again. Air worked which was great Texas is way to hot! The shower definitely had alot of pressure room 120

DON'T STAY HERE UNLESS YOU LOCK YOUR VALUABLES IN YOUR CAR!!!! HOUSEKEEPING STAFF GOES THROUGH YOUR BELONGINGS!!!! The housekeeping staff removes the magnetic "do not disturb" sign off the door (magnetic cling so it doesn't blow away), and enters without permission. They unlock the connecting door to your room, if your room has a connecting door. They then go through your belongings looking for valuables. Management was made aware of this, during a complaint to BW corporate, and will not contact us, which means they condone it evidently! Here is what happened during our stay: We travel extensively for leisure. My mom is Diamond Select with BW, their highest tier. I am Diamond, one level below. My sister is Platinum, so we are all loyal to the BW brand. We booked three rooms for a 54th Wedding Anniversary Trip for my parents. I booked a room for myself (a suite on the backside of the hotel), and I booked a room for my parents and my sister. My parent's room and my sister's room were supposed to be handicapped accessible with a roll-in shower. They were put into mobility accessible tub rooms on the front of the hotel, about four doors apart. Upon check-in the key card didn't work for my parents' room. Back to check-in to get that fixed. Towels missing from my parents' room. They only had one hand towel and one bath towel. Housekeeping brought them more towels (not enough), and they were still wet, folded up. Towels were thin and scratchy. Very cheap. My sister's room missing towels too. We noticed connecting door to my parents room and the room next door unlocked. We locked it. Bench in front of it, lined up nicely with the door. This next part is important! The bench was lined up perfectly, perpendicular to the door. Read on, later it will not be. The next morning after breakfast, which was ample and good, we noticed that "do not disturb" magnetic clings missing from my parent's and sister's doors. Housekeeping in front of my sister's room. She asked for another "do not disturb" sign. Housekeeping staff said did not have one. She got replacements for both doors from the front desk, and put them back on the doors. Arriving back to the rooms later that evening, we noticed again that the "do not disturb" signs were there, but housekeeping had entered regardless. Upon investigation, we discovered that the connecting door to my parents room once again unlocked, and the bench had been scooted away from the door on the end at which the door pivoted open. As if someone entered the room from the room next door, and upon leaving, was unable to move the bench back the way it was due to trying to reach around the door, moving the bench back, but unable to do so fully. It appeared that items had been gone through in my parent's room--we assume housekeeping staff was looking for valuables. My sister's room also had been gone through, she immediately noticed the air conditioning unit had been changed from constant fan circulation to off when she entered the room, then noticed other things amiss. That morning after breakfast, while evidently my sister was trying to track down more "do not disturb" signs, another member of the housekeeping staff was at my room. I tried to tell her I didn't need servicing but she was adamant that she come into my suite to clean it. I felt uneasy about this, her pushiness in wanting in to my room, so I sat on the sofa while she cleaned my room. I put the zippers on my suitcases a certain way, and other things placed a certain way, and they were that way upon returning later, so my room--as far as I know--wasn't tampered with again that day. The second morning, breakfast was almost non-existent. Front desk staff blamed supply shortages for the lack of breakfast that day. Basically, there was only a few items to eat, so really there was no breakfast to speak of. Later that morning, my sister and my parents told me about the issues with the room tampering, so I immediately contacted BW Guest Relations, and filed a formal complaint on this property. The hotel never contacted us! They merely "acknowledged" the complaint, according to BW Guest Relations. They gave no explanation, or version of events of what happened on their end. Basically, it appears that management of this property condones stealing by their housekeeping staff. I wonder if management is also in on it! WE HAVE NEVER STAYED AT A HOTEL where housekeeping staff went through your room looking for valuables, although we are aware it does happen. I'm shocked that management of this hotel, never contacted us to give us an explanation of what might have happened. This tells me they are probably in on the stealing, or at the very least, don't care about it. By the way, perhaps the reason there is not enough towels in the rooms, and when you ask for more and are given wet ones, is that housekeeping is so busy going through guests' belongings, they don't have time to clean rooms or wash and dry the towels!!! So, my advice is this. DON'T STAY HERE!! No one wants their belongings stolen, or at the very least gone through! A 'do not disturb" sign is there for a reason. It doesn't mean ignore it, or steal it, so you can pretend you have permission to enter a room regardless.

I have mixed feelings about our stay at this hotel. Upon arrival we were sent to a room that had not been cleaned. Tried to call the front desk and the phone didn't work. She did move us to another room that was clean. However, the air was not turned on and it was hot! I mean we are in Texas in July--it was 103 degrees outside. It wasn't until around 9 pm that room started cooling off. The bed and pillows were not comfortable. The breakfast wasn't bad but not great. The location of the hotel was good. It is right off the highway and easy access to many locations. Would I stay here again? Probably not.

Hotel room was dusty and dated. The shower wouldn't get hot and the AC wouldn't get cold. This hotel needs a lot of work. The office smells like moth balls and the fitness center is limited. Look elsewhere.

Had difficulty checking in, was there for 4-h event. Rate discrepancy. Issues in room, towel availability, door latch had to be fixed causing me to be late, didn't feel clean, slick film on tile, pool issues, loud banging ac with each cycle, limited to no breakfast available (7am) just difficult stay overall

Always a great stay. Jessica, Shanda and Bobby are always great. Never have any issues. Rooms are comfortable and cool, breakfast is always tasty, the housekeepers do a great job, and it's close to lots of food and shopping. This will always be my go-to when I'm in Huntsville.

Easily the worst hotel experience I've ever had. Shoddy rooms that didn't feel clean. Tight parking. It's not an expensive hotel but for $100/night you'd think you could at least have a room with a functioning lock, a couch without tears in the fabric, a front desk staff that are helpful in ANY WAY (the late night gal won't even look up from her cell phone...nightmare) and then when you can't even get in your room due to their faulty, unkept building...they still charge you. Classy. I used to choose BW hotels but never again. Do yourself a favor and stay anywhere else

I had a very nice stay at this hotel. The TV and the channel selection were very nice!! A lot of things seem to be updated in the room but there were also a couple of areas (Mainly the toilet and tub) that could definitely use some love. However, everything was exceptionally clean which is the most important thing.

Basic hotel that was very clean and quiet. In town for a local running race and ir was conveniently located and reasonably priced. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Also a nice breakfast was available in the morning.

The rooms were clean and spacious. There was a microwave, refrigerator and large sitting area with a couch in the king room. This is an older hotel that has been refurbished. The entrances are outside, so there is more road/parking lot noise than in a hotel with an interior entrance. The area felt safe. The breakfast was good. Can't beat this clean hotel for the price!

Stayed here with my husband and our service animals. This can sometimes be a hassle. Had no problems. Everyone was very nice and helpful. Will definitely stay here again. I brought a blanket from home for the bed to save them the dog hair on their comforter as well as one for the couch. They were all great. Don't hesitate to stay here.

No problems at checkin. Room clean and quiet even though it is near I-45. Guest laundry was a welcome +++. Pool not heated. Maria at the desk was excellent. We had a minor maintainence situation in the room but it was solved quickly at 8 PM. And she was also on breakfast/desk duty the next morning. Great service. Kind of limited breakfast but it was OK to start the day. Would stay here again.

My room was extremely clean, quiet and comfortable. The desk attendants we're friendly and helpful. I was able to park in front of my room each night of my stay and the hotel is located near plenty of stores and restaurants. I recommend this hotel.

Went to Huntsville for a Sam Houston State football game with several family members. We had three rooms. When arriving we were hesitant and wondered if we made a mistake because the exterior is dated and didn't resemble anything close to the hotels we are used to. (Marriott members) But once I stepped foot inside my room my perception changed. Everything either met or exceeded my expectations. The room was spacious, comfortable, and everthing was in working order. Breakfast was hot, fresh and the staff kept everything filled even with the busy guest flow. I plan on visiting again!

Location: perfect. We booked a suite. Comfort bed and sofa. Wondering if this was supposed to be part of the remodel. All over dreary-looking room. Also, I consider a suite to have some separation suitable for guests on the sofa bed - a partial wall? Curtain? No soda machines. One ice machine in walk thru area - not working on one day. In hot weather, it was a relatively long outside walk to lobby. Breakfast was O.K. But at 8:30 one morning, very skimpy offerings (supposed to be open until 9:30 or so. Desk clerk immediately restocked some items, which the pantry person should have monitored. Still, not much variety, especially on fruit and pastries. Apparently, food items could be sold by desk clerk, shelves behind her were almost bare. Truck came with items on our 4th day. I realize the economy is bad, but it just seemed somewhat depressive. If Imatzenbach stayed here when we did, the temp was at least 111 degrees. Can't blame the a/c; it did its best!

Location is close to everything and recently remodeled. Staff is very friendly and accommodating and room was clean and beds comfortable. Pet friendly a big plus for us! We didn't use the pool or fitness center, but checked them out and they looked nice.

The pool was green, the staff was rude, room was dirty and AC did not work. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I came with my family for a get away with a pool for my toddler and it was awful. Ended up going to a lake to swim, it was cleaner than the open green pool.

Nice place! love the renovations, I slept like a baby. Very budget friendly, but since the remodel, way more bang for your buck. Definitely my go to spot when im in the Huntsville area! Who ever bought it is doing a BOMB job.

This hotel is well located near shopping and restaurants. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. We stayed here on our way to the Hill Country and stayed again on our way home.

I came and checked in about 5 minutes before 3:00, which is check in time. After the front desk clerk finished checking in a woman, she checked me in. I went to the room, the keys didnt work, i walked back to the lobby, told her the locks not working, She gives me new keys, and i go and try them, again they dont work, i walk back and tell her, the lock is broken, its flashing red which means there is a issue with the lock, i worked in hotels many years. She gives me another room, which i go to, its hasnt been cleaned yet from last guest. , so i walk back again to the lobby. I told her this room is dirty, which she replys, "This is what happens when we check people in early, Its now 3;11 and i told her, you didnt check me in early, and she wants to argue. The room was not maintained well at all, but i didnt dare try for the 4th room. Looks like a child painted the room, holes in towels, sheets were old and stained with torn edges. All in all, it was a lousy room, i wont be back. And the breakfast was not good at all.

There was hair every where, used tissues shoved into the box, the doors had what looked like snot(?) on them, the shower was orange and disgusting. The lady at the front desk was very nice, but the room was so gross I couldn't handle it. I showered with shoes on.

Very nice staff and very accommodating to guest needs. Clean and comfortable hotel. Good location with restaurants within walking distance. Starbucks and grocery store less than a mile away. I will be staying here again when I visit town in the future.

Fresh, new rooms with a new look. New beds, new TVs. This place really stepped it up with their renovations. Will always be back to this BW any time im in the area. Great price for the value of what we received.

The room was ok. Food was a bit overcooked(hard biscuits), told if you connect internet to phone it would clear the room card. If you want to work out in the fitness room, it's a closet, staff was helpful, room was worth the price I paid

I have been staying here for a couple of years now. They have been remodeling and updating the room and are doing a fabulous job. I wouldn't stay anywhere else. Also a plus they are pet friendly so we can bring our dog with us when we travel. Excellent place to stay and prices are reasonable. Supply chain issues and covid precautions had affected their hot breakfast but they try and provide guests with what they can and I appreciate the effort!!

This was the worst hotel experience of my life, and I've done a lot of traveling, both domestic and international. This hotel isn't safe. I had to change rooms because the TV and phone and heater didn't work, but the new room had a broken door and crossover lock. I couldn't secure it, and I told the front desk, but I didn't worry much since the door had a deadbolt that only opened with a key. I had a fitful night of sleep because the toilet ran loudly every 15 minutes, and then a man came into my room before dawn. He had a key. I tried to call for help using the room phone but it was also broken. Then I used my cell phone, but the front desk put me on hold before I could speak, then didn't answer at all, then she came to my room and tried to tell me it was a maintenance guy who went to the wrong room - at that time of the morning? And he just happened to go to a room without a working crossover lock so he could just walk in? It was still dark out, and I'd left the tv on so it was obvious that the room was occupied. This was the morning after I'd called the front desk to report a man sitting in a car in the parking lot who moved his car so he could peep into my room window. I was told that this was also a member of the maintenance staff, but he was sitting in his car in the parking lot for hours. Just sitting there. There is something seriously unsavory going on at this hotel. I started packing up my car immediately so I could leave, but the staff voided my room key so I was locked out of my room with most of my belongings and cat inside. I had to walk, alone and unsteady, to the front desk to get a working key. I'll be calling the fire marshal to report the safety hazard of the door and the sheriff about potential illegal activity, and possibly also my lawyer because I was absolutely traumatized, crying, shaking, and nearly unable to speak, and couldn't get warm for hours because I was in shock. DO NOT STAY HERE. Go to Lake Conroe if you need a Best Western in the area. The staff there was very kind and let me check in immediately so I could rest and try to recover. Plus, bonus, no one broke into my room.

This Best Western has made a good attempt to redecorate but the trim work is remarkably sloppy. We notice this before we notice the new paint job. Worse---the duvet was stained with who knows what , had a cigarette burn, and had a large tear . The sheets were ragged.

Came to town to visit family for the holidays and I gotta say, this place has done some major updating and upgrading since last Christmas. The rooms have all new, modern furniture, new beds, and new carpet. Not to mention, the two front desk ladies that work during the week (can't remember their names) were so nice. They really treated us like family there. Looks like they are getting ready for the finishing touches and I can't wait to get back and see the final product next year! Thank you guys for making our stay oh so enjoyable.

Came to visit friends for an early holiday celebration and this Best Western was one of the best ive been too. Breakfast was keto friendly, which I appreciate so much, and the ladies that work the front desk during the week treat you just like family. 5 start from me!

Stayed here with my boyfriend this past weekend so we could check out the state park and the stay was pretty good. Rooms are renovated with new everything and the staff is really nice. Will be back when its scuba diving season to check out the Blue Lagoon.

I stayed at BW in Huntsville last weekend and it was....great. because of some construction going on near their property, the power and Internet were out for quite a while. And although frustrating, the management and staff on duty were very apologetic and king. Props to the staff at Best Western who handled the situation the best they could and made all of us from out of town feel safe and welcome. We will definitely be back@

There was black mold in shower, checked in went out to dinner, came back late and went to bed. We were unaware of large amount of mold in room. Woke up sick!!! Check rooms thoroughly before expecting any room.

I am in Huntsville frequently had never stayed here before. The property is recently renovated with new carpet and furniture! It was very clean and the rate was great! The bed had new mattress and was comfortable. We had a king room and it was large space Denny's and Chilis are within walking distance For the value you cannot beat it!

The front desk clerk was one of the rudest, most obnoxious employees I have ever met in the hotel industry. Her attitude and demeanor was terrible. No apology for service or the property. Was more interested in being right and placing blame on the guest than good customer service. Staying here was a total mistake!

Barley working AC that sounded like a train, mold in bathroom, Smoke detector detached and sitting on dresser leaving exposed wire in the ceiling. Stains on sheets and comforter and only given 1 washcloth each night for 3 adults and 1 child leaving me having to ask each night for more. The staff are friendly and the lobby is nice and clean leaving but the rooms are HORRIBLE defiantly not a $100 a night room!!

The stay was just Okay. There were stains on the carpet and the closet door latch was broken. However, the manager/owner did help us with our luggage down the stairs, since there was not an elevator! (to be installed in 2024) He also informed us that they are in the process of upgrading the rooms. I would try it again. Everyone deserves a second chance!

No thank you... The A/C unit sounded like a train rumbling down the tracks, but was a little quieter later in the.morning. Room was musty and could have been better maintained. Bathroom was another story...masking tape on a corner instead of a proper drywall corner? Please.... Invest some money on these rooms. Will not be staying in the future.

I was so happy with my stay here. I booked and stayed here during the snow storms we had that month. After days without power and water I decided to book. I stayed a couple nights and loved it. The staff was generous, the room was excellent and clean, and the location was quite. I will definently come back and stay again

Remodeling on-site early in the morning and there was blood on the bed linens. The air conditioner was extremely noisy while on, making it almost impossible to get to sleep. The construction workers were also playing music on top of the regular work noise.

My daughter and I stayed at the Huntsville BW to visit Sam Houston State University. We found a half eaten Oreo cookie in the floor next to the A/C, an empty Sprite bottle underneath the table by the TV, and several long, black hairs in the hinges of the door in the bathroom. Very disgusting.

For the price we paid never expected the location to be so poor and the rooms to be so poor. Would never again stay at this place. The carpets were worn out but looks like no care is taken. There were only 2 bath towels provided in 2 queen beds room. When kids are allowed free, should it not have atleast 4. Had difficulty every time.

The Best Western Huntsville Inn & Suites is a motor-inn style hotel. It's located a couple of blocks of I-45, so there's not any highway noise. There's an outdoor pool which looks inviting, and a couple of restaurants in walking distance. Rooms are a standard motor-style inn design with doors that open onto the well-lit parking lot. My room was in good condition, although the bathtub showed some signs of serious wear and tear. The shower head was good, water pressure was great and there was ample hot water. Everything in the room was in working order. The mattress was comfortable. The price point was higher than I expected for the type of facility it is, but it was graduation weekend at SHSU, so that may have impacted the price.

I have stayed at multiple Best Western and Best Western Plus hotels over the years, and have found them to be a good value for the price. However, I cannot recommend this particular Best Western In Huntsville, TX. In the first room I was given, the A/C did not work for more than about 30 seconds. I was then given a second room which smelled so thickly of smoke it was unbearable. At this point, I quickly booked with another hotel in Huntsville, and just decided to lose the $75 for the night for Best Western. It was worth it. There are definitely better options for hotels in Huntsville.

The stay started with me being placed in a handicap room even though I did not request it. The room smelled heavy of smoke. Then the room was filthy like it had not been cleaned and the sheets had makeup and stains on them. They moved me to another room where the bathroom and counters were dirty, but at least the sheets were clean. I will not stay here again.

We spent the night in Huntsville, TX. Friends live close by so it was a convenient place to stay. There is nothing wrong with this motel, it's just not luxurious. The woman at the front desk was amiable. We had the handicapped access room- the garden tub was a little slippery no rubber tub mat that I could find. The tub is a little old with some cracks but works fine for a quick shower. The breakfast buffet was closed because of Covid protocols but there was food prepped wrapped in plastic wrap to take back to your room. All-in-all, Perfectly acceptable.

Stopped at the Huntsville Best western based on past experience with the brand. On arrival, it was obvious it was an older property with some significant renovation and updating in progress. The staff I interacted with were polite and friendly. I encountered issues with non-functioning ice machines, aged mattresses, and last minute plumbing problems. When I stopped at the office to check out and report the problems, there was nobody to be found at 6:30 in the morning. This property shows promise, and I hope the obvious issues are dealt with in the renovation, but for now I wouldn't recommend.

The microwave didn't work, manager replaced it with a dirty one, food dried to the inside, door was also broken so it felt like every time you opened the whole face of microwave would fall off MATTRESS. Omg! It should have been thrown out 20 yes ago! There were dips in the bed where the springs were worn out! The springs popped I had to sleep sideways at the top of the bed to avoid sinking in the hole! Absolute horrible place to stay. Went to cancel the second night and no one was covering the front desk! And older women who barely spoke a word of English tried to understand I wanted to cancel the next night! She got Mgr on the phone to tell him, I did get refunded for that night!

The room was very musty smelling, the curtains had water stains on them. The bathtub had mold around the soap dish. The thing that held the mini fridge, the bottom was busted which had the fridge leaning backwards. The chair was stained and when I sat on the bed the covers were damp. I turned the key back in and went to days inn. All the person at the front desk said is they would let management know. So since they didn't offer another room I'm gonna assume maybe they were all like that.

After snow storm I had to find somewhere to stay a couple days. I drove here and was not upset. Great place to stay, clean rooms, and polite staff. The only complaint was toilets. Seemed like if another room used water that my rooms toilet would make noise and bubble. Was loud enough to wake up in middle of the night.

We've stayed her many times. It is an excellent price but now that shows. It's getting seriously run down. And we visit Huntsville often as our daughter is at Sam Houston. But now we mostly stay at the Holiday Inn. It's always clean. Our last trip however was to this Best Western and unlike it was years ago its not looking very well. They don't maintain it at all anymore. It needs a make over badly. The bathroom was a disaster. The toilet had a missing tank lid, the bowl had a huge chunk missing from the side. Thankfully you could sit on it without cutting your rear though. The tub must have been sprayed at one time but it's now turning grey and spotty. The ceiling has mold above the shower. But worse (in this time of covid) the back of the door and wall is filthy. Which tells me they don't really clean everything. They just do a quick wipe of things they can see. Even our sheets had something black on them. I'm sure they weren't slept in as they were nice and non wrinkled but something got on them and there's NO WAY the crew didn't notice. There are spots on the mirrors and 'art' in the room. I don't even want to consider what those might be. But worse it looked like a drop of blood on the wall in the bathroom. Not super noticeable but once you notice all the other things you start to over notice everything. And on the comical side there was only ONE WORKING LIGHT BULB in the lamps. So we had to move the bulb from fixture to fixture to read in bed or do make up when the other was using the mirror in the bathroom. It was so bizarre it was comical but we won't be back for a while. We'd much rather spend $40 more per night then feel creeped out by the filth. Which is sad because sometimes we bring out dog and now he'll have to stay home. I'm not staying in Motel 6. Yes, call me a snob. A little up keep and this place could be so much better. They have to clean anyway...just spray the filth with bleach and wipe it down. Calking is to keep water out of cracks. If he calking is molded, it's not doing it's job. And most people have issues breathing in a moldy room, allergies or not. And make a remodeling budget and do it one room at a time if money is tight. If clean and updated you can charge more. Won't be too expensive. But dump the carpet if you aren't going to clean it often. ew! and whomever painted everywhere needs to find a new job. It's so beyond bad. I'm not sure if the wall in the room is a bad paint job or mold...it's hazy in parts. Photos show the poor quality of work from everyone in this hotel. Don't get me wrong, these are very sweet people. But it's just getting to run down for me.

Lil get away...Leisure trip. Had a suite they said. Hmmm. Lock on door was very loose almost off, good thing we had tools. Look like at some point someone tried to break the door down. The room had a very old musty smell. TV remote was dirty. Suite tub very dingy dirty, jets in tub didn't work, cloth stool in room needs cleaning. Bleach the rooms. Steam clean carpets. Bleach the tubs. Staff was nice. Service was good

The pictures of this property look great. I was extremely disappointed when getting to the room and the outside of the premises seemed a little sketchy. The lady that did the initial check in was really nice and spoke very good english. When we woke up the next morning and went down for breakfast, it was disappointing that all there was was packaged muffins, danish, yogurt, cherrios, nothing warm. We left for the day no one came in to take out trash and give us clean towels so I had to go and ask for them. When I went to the office to ask for them, on my way out again, they pointed to a closet to tell me that I could grab some towels and they would send someone to get trash. I got back that evening and my keys had been disabled so I had to go back to the office to get them rekeyed and that is when I got someone that did not know how to speak English and I had to wait for someone that knew enough Engilsh to understand me. Got to my room to see they came and took trash out and gave us 2 new towels, so here I go again down to the office to get towels, hand towels and wash clothes. Of course I have to mention the bath tub would not drain so you stand in a shallow puddle of water while you take a shower and on the last nigh we were there, when we returned some bolt had fallen off the back of the toilet and there was a small leak from the toilet. We put a towel there, which was sufficient for the leak. On the last night while we were at the wedding we attended we got a call from the hotel asking if we were going to be coming in for our reservation for that night and I had to explain to them that we had already been there for two nights already....there answer was hummm, I am not sure what happened but ok, i will cancel this reservation. I asked the lady, will our keys work when we get back to the hotel to get into our room and I went on and explained what had happened that previous evening. She said they should and that she doesn't have any control over what her co-workers do. Guess what.....OUR KEYS DID NOT WORK !!!!!!!....When checking out the next morning, I went to the office and again I had to wait so they could get someone that spoke a little more english than the one at the front desk or the cleaning lady that could not understand, I wanted a receipt. I got my receipt and left. So long story short, no I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I would should have paid the extra $20 to stay at the Hampton Inn.

Room was great. Quiet. Good AC and beds (felt like memory foam beds). Bathrooms were clean and fixtures were good. Front desk staff was friendly, accommodating both on check in and check out. The parking lot was easy to get into and out of. Extended cab and extended bed work truck so that's important.

Everything is good here we liked our stay, clean rooms good service and pet friendla¹y...we like. The pool is clean. And the breakfast is good. Huntsville has alot of museums and prisons here so can't get in trouble cause you will go to a big jail..

It's been my 3rd trip to best western .man i love this hotel. Very comfi beds .swiming pool owesome . very good customer service. I highly recommended this hotel. This is my favorite .i stayed all hotels in Huntsville but its more quite here .better than others.

The Staff was super helpful. I called last minute and they were very accommodating. The rooms are very clean and the beds are comfortable. Bathroom was HUGE and hotel is pet friendly. 10/10 would recommend

DO NOT BOOK this location. I was scared for my life and did not sleep at all. They literally had day beds set up in the outside corridors and what appeared to be homeless camps in the foyer. I have never seen anything like it. I was in town for business and alone. I immediately checked out early the next morning and moved to a different hotel.

Bed had black dog hair stuck in the sheets. This is more of a motel not a hotel. Shower has black mildew. Not worth the price you have to pay to stay here. People sitting outside non smoking rooms smoking so the smell comes into your room. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time or money staying here.

The owners and family are pleasant. The accommodations not as much. The toilet took 30 min to refill, the rooms dated, older motel w a few creepy crawling bugs at night, the area IS centrally located, breakfast sparse, the dining area wasn't open , and their personal freezer is the open dining area . The pool chairs and umbrella tattered and not useable. Would not repeat the stay.

The only place I stay when I come to town. Always a pleasant experience! The staff is great; they know me by name. The rooms are clean and well kept. Great location right off the highway!...what more can you ask for?!

Extremely unkept hotel! Very disappointed! Room was dirty - carpet and lone chair looked as though they had never been cleaned. Shower was unusable because of broken showerhead. Dirty towels hanging on rod. Used soap in shower dish. Hole in ceiling covered with paper and masking tape. Shrieking bathroom exhaust fan. Sleep in your car first!

My daughter attends college in Huntsville, so I come down a couple of times each years. I have stayed at other hotels in the area, but prefer this hotel because: (a) staff is professional and friendly; (b) rooms were very clean; (c) beds are comfortable; and (d) rooms are quiet. Would definitely recommend.

We stay at Best Western b/c of their great breakfasts. Even though COVID is raging, this hotel provided an extensive and SAFE breakfast for us PLUS a great price! We highly recommend it to all going to or through Huntsville, TX.

Crystal went above and beyond the call of duty to try to solve the issue at hand. Manger seems to never be available for questions/ concerns. Manager stated that software is why I was being double charged. Was promise to comp for 2 nights and only 1 night got comp as well as charges double hitting my card. When question was suggested that I paid cash. My spouse started pricing other hotels. I have no issues moving / and paying more for hotel where the guest is valued. --- It is sad because I have travel before and stayed at Best Western brand and never had issues. This one location is putting a very bad mark and on reputation.

Room was clean and comfortable. Nice amenities and great water pressure in shower. Quite and comfortable. Breakfast was hot with reasonable choices. Size of room was great for two people with working area and relaxing area.

Great stay. The bed was comfortable, the food was good and the check in was quick. The staff were very nice and made the check in easy. The location was across the street from my meeting which was great. I will definitely stay there again.

I am a Platinum Member with Best western so I routinely stay with this Hotel Chain. This Hotel is dated, and (bathrooms especially) are in need of repair or major updating!! Mattresses offer little to no support! Unless you like sleeping on a sponge...this is going to be a major problem!! Bed linens (though clean) had stains and ink marks clearly visible. I mistakenly left a small bag of personal items in the room and called back after checking out to see about retrieving them the next morning. He looked but could not find my items...so the told me he'd get with the person who cleaned the room and promised me a call back within a few hours....never happened! I guess things just dissapear? At least In Huntstville, Tx..there are much better options (at comparable pricing) than this Best Western!! You are warned!

Hotel was clean. Everything unplugged in the room. Had to crawl under and behind furniture to plug in lamps and refrigerator. No ice on the premises in the entire stay. Machine broken. Breakfast was sparse and serving area messy. I will not waste reward points staying here again.

So I got a promotion offer with discounts well when I tried using it because I was told to show it when I'm checking out so they can submit the promotion code the front desk was rude saying she didnt know how to enter it in she wouldn't let me leave a message for the manager to enter in she just said no call on Monday and maybe they can enter it in did not offer any help or attempt to try to resolve the issue front desk is the impression of your hotel and I was not satisfied at all with my checking out experience and I stay quite a bit

Do you have any maintenance problems don't expect to get them fixed no internet phone in room didn't work no laundry facility broken the door key didn't work half the time and when you reported something nothing happen

Ice machine was broken and in the King Size Suite room the jacuzzi wasn't working. The water also took a min to drain from the tub. Employee staff did bring ice from there personal work are to make sure we was accommodated.

The hotel is right by the main shopping area of Huntsville and just a few minutes from the SHSU campus. I prefer hotels with inside access to rooms but my stay was nice. Room was very clean which is my main concern.

This is not a “destination” hotel! It IS a very good value for someone needing a clean, safe and reasonably priced place to stay. It has a pool and a decent breakfast with hot meat, eggs and biscuits but I didn't find any other amenities. (The ice machine didn't work.). The staff we met were all very helpful and friendly. We got a 1st floor, accessible, non-smoking king. It was obvious the room had been smoked in, but you really can't fault the staff for that. The world is full of inconsiderate jerks that think the rules don't apply to them. This is an older property that is fairly well maintained, if on a limited budget. It was clean, freshly painted and had a remodeled bath. If you're familiar with building maintenance, it's obvious that the furniture and fixtures a relatively low budget. If that is an issue, please pay $30 to $50 more per night and stay elsewhere. The mattress was fairly new, but again, was of lesser quality. There were no bed bugs, no roaches and no other critters in our room. Personally, I would rather have an inexpensive mattress than one that costs too much to change frequently! Expect a safe, convenient and comfortable stay at very nice price point.

We did not have reservations. The front desk was very friendly and quickly got us into a room. The bed was super comfortable. Made for a great nights rest. Cost was very reasonable. Enjoyed the stay. Will stay there in the future.

Had a solid stay good deal for a good room staff nice to accommodate late check in and out thanks. Have been in this same scenario before and hotels were not accommodating and did not earn my time to leave them a nice comment about being flexible and polite.

I was there for my job. I have stayed at this motel several times. I have meeting every year for a week. This is the first time I had problems. We did not get the room I reserved. When asked about they said we could move when I went to change the keys they said we can't it was taken. The first 2night the room set empty. I took my dog out at 3:00am and it was empty. The last night it was occupied. I don't like being lied to. The TV went hay wired they came down 4 times and it still didn't work. The toilet leaked when I told them they did they would send maintenance but never did. Longest 4 nights ever. The shower put water all over the floor it took 3 towles to clean it up and the carpet still got wet.

The staff was great. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable. Now, I see in other post about the ice machine not working, still not working. O, and if you are on the second floor, no elevator. But, over all a good hotel.

This place was great. Great room, great staff (front end and on the property), great breakfast. I'll never stay anywhere else. The location is right in the middle of shopping at eateries. Thanks to Jess and Hollis for making everything so smooth and enjoyable.

The only two real problems were we had to request more towels and wash clothes, and one night the people in the next room were noisy and kept bumping the wall. I didn't report it I just knocked on the wall and they stopped. Also the sheet did not properly fit the bed and when you moved it would pop off at one corner!

This hotel is not clean. There is no working ice machine(the friendly man at the desk will get some from a bag for you.) The pool is a nasty shade of green because the “chemicals are backordered” I would pass on this one, there are one try if other hotels nearby. We booked from the internet, so just the location alone would have turned me away.

Honestly everything is pretty good check in staff is always amazing there is a guy i always forget his name something starting his H and he has glasses and he is my favorite all the other staff is awesome too don't get me wrong i guess because i run into him more but he is very helpful and enjoyable checking in

The rooms were clean, the free breakfast was appreciated, the prices are reasonable but the room had bedbugs. I woke up the next day with an unmistakeable line of bites down my right leg but didn't put two and two together until after I'd left the premises. I tried mightily to contact customer Service about this first but there is no convenient way so consider yourself warned. Two more things: The hotel needs better signage as it's off the main road and is hidden behind a Denny's. And the pool is, in reality, quite small. Don't expect to lap swim.

Overall nice room. There were a few dead bugs in the room that the wife didn't care for. Good location-ease off/on the freeway. We would stay here again if in the area. Very friendly staff. Good selection of TV channels.

As i'm saying hello to the front desk person upon arrival, I am interrupted by Terri with the second 'Can I help you'; like we came off the street to use the bathroom. I told her my reservation and asked for downstairs and was told nothing was available even though we were checking in quite early. O.K. fine, the king suite is upstairs, although a professional and caring front desk should ask if there is anything else that would work to make you more comfortable. On the outside of the king "Suite" when we go to the room, is a bucket under where the air conditioning unit is, which is catching excess water and there is a bonus cigarette butt in it. So totally gross to see this upon entry to your room. Then, there is a mystery door in the room - not one that is double doored for sharing, so I go and ask what that is- "oh that's the attic"....I'm so disturbed at this point. Ice machine brokren/empty, breakfast was bare; pancake machine out-of-order. I feel this property is lacking cleanliness and service skills and is not concerned if you have an enjoyable or memorable stay. I will NOT be choosing this property on my drives on interstate 45 again.

Travel on business often, had 8 rooms for staff this particular weekend, and the check-in and check out was quick. The staff were very polite and accommodating. We always appreciate a cheery disposition. It does not go unnoticed. Thank you!

This hotel could teach other Best Western hotels about friendly customer service. Breakfast was a real breakfast! Not a bouncy hard egg and some nine year old cereal. Nicely done! Pool was sparkling and inviting!

I was underwhelmed at arrival looks run down & parking lot concrete dirty and damaged Needs paint or pressure wash. Pancake machine was broken. It had variety Found hair on 2 pillows and room was dusty

The rooms are old, loud, and outdated. huge crack in wall by shower, toilet felt wobbly. wont stay again. spend the extra money for a Hampton Inn or even a Days Inn down the road. that's what we should have done.

I travel 6 nights a month. They consistently give me a room on the first floor, in the back of the property, exactly where I want. It is quiet, great internet, clean. I want a place that is consistent and convenient.

Just needed a place to sleep, but wanted a nice, inexpensive room in a good area. The room was comfortable, slept great, good service, nice breakfast and close to Ravens Nest for golf tournament. I recommend this hotel for a nice room at a decent price.

I would equate this hotel with a motel 6. Usually I find best westerns to be nicer.... not this one! I got stuck in the handicap room, which is fine except the room blows. 3 security locks on the door, opens to the parking lot just 4 feet away (so doesn't feel secure in this scary prison town), hotel lobby decorated by kids Easter decorations.... not classy at all. Shower drips, can hear neighbors water in the pipes in the wall, toilet runs, a/c very loud & sputtering noises, fridge humming way loudly. Almost slipped & fell in the super slippery tub but luckily there was the handicap bars in there! Horrible bathroom lighting, bed was just okay. Been in worse but not too great.... for the price, I'd say stay at the motel 6, same difference quality wise.

This is an excellent hotel. It is in a good location and the night personnel clerk went out of her way to help me resolve a problem with the television when it went off temporarily. She was willing to help me relocate to another room.

Rundown and absolutely disgusting! Do not waste your money on this hotel. Bring a hazmat suit to sleep in if you do. Couldn't get hot water for my shower either. The walls are paper thin and ever movement or noise from and other room was heard at all hours.

Great stop over. Full amenities, friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was plentiful and nice selection. Something for all diets and appetites. Staff constantly refreshing and refilling items. Great for all ages. Grandchildren loved it. My husband was very pleased.

I stayed at the Best Western on Feb 2nd for 1 night. I needed an early arrival and the front desk made sure to put our room at the top of the list to have cleaned, and it was! The front desk people were more than helpful in all of my requests. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. Great location and the room was immaculate. The hotel was quiet, at least in the back and they was plenty of room. The microwave and fridge came in very handy. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit in August. High praise!

Great location off the busy roads for a quiet night's sleep. New construction felt clean and accommodating. Staff were attentive and ready to serve. Fresh breakfast hot and nice variety. Would stay again definitely.

I stayed in room 123. It's a ground floor suite. I arrived at this property very late at night after flying in from Oregon. The first night I mostly keeled over in the bed. In the morning the property was out of hot water, no big deal I guess, things happen I suppose with 25% or so occupancy. That said my day gets better. I opened the front curtains and there's a huge ant colony living on the inside on the window ledge. Big black ants and millions of sugar ants. Wow! I call the front desk kid and he comes down and sprays the window ledge with ant killer, the type you'd use out in the barn or on the patio. Y'all known the kind. Lots of fumes too! Anyway, the ant spray certainly kills the ants on the ledge. After the room airs out some the day ends for me and it's bedtime. In the morning, surprise! I turn on the lights and there's cockroaches scampering all over the floor. Man. I grabbed my gear and left.This place is dirty. It should not be allowed to have the Best Western brand. It's substandard and maybe not worthy of $40 per night budget dives. I say we had nicer tent accommodations over in Southeast Asia, in the jungle, US military days. As a frequent traveler I depend on major brands for reliability. This property is a failure. Oh! The breakfast is at Motel 6 levels too. Nice kid at the front desk, the Ant Killer. he deserves praise.Internet worked good.

I was in Huntsville for a wedding. My friend and I were travelling together and we called up the front desk to let them know we would be arriving late at night. When we checked in and got to our room, Jessica had made sure the heat was on and left us a cheery welcome note! Really appreciated that, Jessica- thanks! Hollis (front desk) helped us when we could not figure out how to get the TV to work. I called him up and he was at our room door in under 5 minutes! Wow! And super friendly. Thanks Hollis! Monique was also SUPER helpful at the desk- she answered a few questions and even took some pictures for us when we were all dressed up and ready to head out to the ceremony. Thanks a bunch, Monique! Last but not least, Juana was in charge of the breakfast buffet and she did a fabulous job! Breakfast was delicious! Room was always clean, and the hotel was not too crowded or noisy. Great stay! I would definitely stay here again!

Great front desk staff! Pleasant, cheerful and helpful. No so for our second floor room. Things that would have been nice, or expected, include the following. A closet deeper that the width of the coat hangers. A bathroom light switch that didn't also turn on the loud exhaust fan. Try using this restroom in the middle of the night without disturbing the other three occupants. A bathroom light switch that was actually in the bathroom. An electric outlet in the bathroom (for a night light). Four full size towels for our four registered guests, not three towels. At least one shampoo would have been nice.The rooms are slightly too narrow, or not setup optimally. If someone is sitting at the desk, you cannot pass easily between them and the bed to get to the bathroom. It was clean and the DirecTV is nice. For the price, it's not horrible. For the most part, they are stuck with the building as it is, but they can improve by better room stocking and possibly rearranging furniture and adding a night light (since you can't turn on the potty light without the exhaust fan).

First off, this is a motel, not a hotel. The doors open to the outside, which is not my personal preference. It was not stated or shown in any of the pictures I saw. Everytime someone got in or out of their car, we could hear doors slam since we were on the first floor. This motel is old. The shower needs updating. It appears that they just painted over old walls to try to make it look nicer, but the paint looked old and dull too. Our bath mat had what appeared to be dried blood on it, and then we noticed some blood stains on the wall near the shower too. Our friends stayed in a different room and there was a very strong bleach smell that they had to air out the room. The bed was comfortable, but the pillows were horrible and lumpy as if they had been washed and the filling was clumped. The breakfast was ok, but nothing special. They did not have a waffle machine and the pancake maker was turned off. This place needs updating and they should show pictures of the outside of the rooms on the website so people know that the doors are exterior.

Clean & convenient. Only problem is it is hard to find. It sits behind Denny's and there is no sign at the end of the road. The trees along the road block the road. We went in and out of several parking lots trying to figure out where it was and how to get to it. Even our friends that lived locally were unaware that it was there and had trouble finding us.

I always stay here when in town overnight. I had a very large king suite near stairs. Room was nice, hotel was very quite. I always choose this hotel when im in town for homecoming. Staff was friendly in my limited interaction.

After a very long day of work and a horrific experience of booking a different hotel then cancelling because of major smell issues, I didn't check in until almost 8pm that night. The staff was friendly and I got my room pretty quickly. The bed was comfortable, they had a nice TV with DirecTV, and the bathroom was pretty big. The hot breakfast the next morning was a pleasant surprise! The biscuits and gravy were delicious, as was the bacon. Will book this place again.

needed a place to crash for the night after a long day of traveling. this place was a little off the freeway and at the end of a cul de sac which was perfect because it was so quiet. this little hotel is a gem with a nice pool area including a spa with two waterfalls. they had a room for me even though i didnt have a reservation and the quoted the same price i saw on the internet... they didnt try to gouge a late night arrival and that is refreshing i slept in and arrived late for breakfast... they took good care of me even though they were putting everything away. i got a peak in the kitchen and found they are using REAL EGGS not out of a milk carton... i was impressed. i stay at a lot of hotels and this is a rarity. if i am back this way i will definitely stay

We made the trip from Tennesee to attend the Aand M football game. We could not find accommodations inCollege Station. We decided to stay at the BW in Huntsville Tx. and it was only a short 40 minute drive. We found many others attending the game made the same choice.

I stayed the night with my family just to avoid waking up wayyyy to early to take my friend to college. As someone who hasn't been in a hotel like this before, I was pleasantly surprised. The pool was clean and enjoyable, as were the rooms. The showers have pretty decent water pressure and gets to amazingly warm temperatures. The room was equipped with a window A/C that kept it a lovely 60 degrees, making it easy to sleep and take a break from the undying Texas heat. The staff was so helpful and polite. With television, wifi, breakfast, and clean everything.. the room was great! I would definitely stay again.

I spent.a.week here and sleep like a baby every night. I will return to stay anytime O am in the area. Oh and the breakfast was delish every morning. I felt safe entering and leaving for the day. Great Place

I have stayed here several times before, as I do consulting work almost yearly here. So understand this--I drive in, eat, go tot he room, watch TV and leave the next morning to work. My stays at this property are always very "functional." Well, I had a nice, easy check in and went to the room and got everything set for about 3 hours of watching TV, then bed--and the TV wouldn't work! Specifically, it wouldn't locate a channel--I kept getting error messages. I called the front desk and a helpful guy came right down and fixed it. Well, it was "fixed" although it did jitter and even cut out about once every minute, but I was willing to put up with it since I would be asleep in 3 hours anyway. Lo and behold a different guy came down to be sure the TV worked okay. I showed him how it kept cutting out, and he fixed that! Both staff were SO helpful, cheerful and eager to serve my needs. There are two newer chains in Huntsville, I noticed, but I'll keep staying at BW because I KNOW they will take care of me.

Good location in Huntsville - near I-45, but not on the feeder which makes it quieter. The room was clean and quiet. The staff was very friendly. Check-in and check-out was quick and easy. Cons: * The room with all the lights on was still rather dark. I attribute this to the use of low wattage bulbs in the lamps. * The commode was not ADA compliant. I very much prefer a chair height commode as I am 6'2" tall. * The floor of the tub/shower was very slippery. Hang onto the installed hand railing on the wall. Overall: A good place to stay for the money.

Great breakfast, friendly staff and great a/c. Highly recommend if your driving through Huntsville your stay at Huntsville Inn & Suites will be more than satisfactory. Staff at check-in was very polite and helpful. Our breakfast was ham, gravy, sausage and biscuits. When you stay at Best Western once you will want to stay again.

We got in late but there was heavy amounts of dust everywhere. We found someones sock on the floor. The toliet moved when you sat on it. Not enough breakfast items to accommodate memorial weekend crowd. The bed was confortable. This is a motel not a hotel which means the doors open outside.

I have stayed at this hotel multiple times in the last few month. Each time was pleasant. Unfortunately, this time was different. Check in staff check me in to an occupied room and that was a frightening encounter. The normal cook was not there and breakfast was not edible or main items were not offered.

Vvery nice hotel and staff, the beds were firm which I like, the rooms were very clean. Can't beat the price.I do think that the corporation of Best Western could improve on the lighting area where ladies try to do hair and makeup. NOT a far drive from College Station at all. I would recommend this motel.

Good place to stay if you need to. Friendly staff and nice rooms. Good value for the money. Location is easy to get to. Ability to get around town easily. I felt safe and did not worry about anything happening to me. Staff checked on me to make sure everything was good.

Surpricingly nice hotel at a good location close to e.g. the Sam Houston National Forest. The hotel had nice and friendly staff e.g. at the breakfast. Also the small town of Huntsvile was nie to see, especially the old town.

Enjoyed the stay at your Hotel very much. Good quiet comfortable room. Everything worked. Check in and out flawless. Breakfast had good eggs ham biscuits and gravy and pancake machine which is 10 Times better than waffle makers. Older place but great for the price. Most economical stay in quite a while. We be in a Best Western again very soon.

I want simple, clean, good internet, and close to restaurants. I go to this inn twice a month, and am tired when I arrive. The Internet is good, I can walk to a restaurant if I want, and it is also near a park with running trails. I do not always eat breakfast, but it is simple and good.

Very clean and large room, well decorated. Nice linens. They had warm appetizers with beer in the afternoon. Good breakfast with nice gentleman helping. Price for king suite very reasonable. Better lighting than usual. Laundromat.

The space was nice. Internet and cable was good. The breaksfast was good and filling. The only problem is that the bed and sheets were not clean. There was hair all over the covers. There was no maid on staff.

Very reasonable rate. Nice breakfast setup every morning. The room is good size, two queen sized beds. Room has microwave and refrigerator. Conveniently located close to high ay and only 1.2 miles from the square. Worth the price. Good deal.

Hotel was clean, breakfast was normal. Had some issues getting the he bill correct. Also When my key didn't work on the second day I was able to get new ones without showing any identification to the front desk person whom I had not seen previously.

Just passing through on our way south. Booked hotel online just before midnight and went straight to hotel to check in. Pulled up to the front door about 12:15 and the whole place is locked down. No lights, no front desk people, front doors locked, only a phone number on the door, and a strange doorbell looking thing!! We called and called and called the number for at least 45 min without so much as a voicemail picking up and I can't tell you how many times rang that stupid looking bell thing!! Absolutely ridiculous! Had to book another hotel and finally got into a bed an hour and a half later.

Old-type motel where you park your car in front of your room door. Check-in was good. Room was clean. Bed was a bit softer than I like, but still OK. Shower was good with plenty of hot water - after I figured out how to regulate it. Turn the handle to the left, just barely, for hot water. Make micro moves to adjust. Move it a little too far and it turns very cold. Toilet paper was cheap. Most annoying was the absence of electric outlets at the desk. Breakfast was very good. Especially the coffee! Stayed one night and it fit our needs as we were just passing through and not looking for anything fancy or high priced.

I've had hit and miss experiences with this hotel. It has the best price in town for a hotel that isn't a complete dump. I'd say it's easily a 1-1.5 star hotel if anything on the 5 star scale, but you can't beat the price.

At check-in, all was as promised- a handicap room and feather-free bedding! Super quick check-in process. Had issue with entry card initially not working. Monique came right down and personally ensured the updated cards worked. Breakfast had many options and we were happier than normal with most continental breakfasts. Attendant was super supportive and courteous. Room was comfortable- loved having direct tv- and spacious bathroom. Parking lot was super-well lighted, which I appreciate from a safety viewpoint.We felt very safe & well-taken care of!

Less than average quality of room and the food was well below standards. Our stay was over the Christmas holidays the cleaning staff was given off Christmas Eve and Christmas day, while that's all well and good that leaves for a nasty unkept room and we were charged for regular service I feel

Several of the people I work with spoke well of their experience at this Best Western. My experience wasn't so good. I wouldn't stay more than an overnight at this place in the future. No elevator makes carrying bags up the stairs a must. My bag was packed for four days in winter weather. It is heavy. The light of the vanity didn't work. The phone didn't work when I initially tried to call the front desk to be moved. The doors are loose, so there was noise and cigarette smoke coming through at all hours of the night from the smokers on the walkway outside. The staff was friendly and probably would have been helpful had I had the time to actually get the things either fixed or moved to another room.

Desk staff were very courteous and prompt at getting me to my room and getting me checked out. My room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The cafeteria offered a variety of breakfast choices which allowed me to start the day early and feeling ready to go. Thanks so much!

Rooms clean, staff well organized. Breakfast was best and i will return again and to other Best Westerns if they have this breakfast. Plenty of parking. They had a happy hour at no cost . Not many have this .

I have stayed here numerous times, but it is time for a change. This place is always priced well for the area and is usually very good. My 1st mistake was accepting a smoking room, it was terrible. The filter on the AC unit was SO dirty. The location is good, the people are nice, but I just can't handle knowing they don't clean their filters, whether smoking or not. If you want cheap & clean, its fine.

My friend and I reserved a non-smoking room on the Best Western website. When we arrived we were told there were no non-smoking rooms. Monique. the manager on duty, offered to oxidize the room since my friend has severe allergies. Due to a cancellation she was able to transfer us to a non-smoking room and even called while we were out to diner to advise us of this change. Thank you Monique!!

Hotel is in very convenient location. Exterior of building is ok, rooms we've had have been updated in decor, bedding is really comfortable, some of the furnishings haven't been well taken care of by guests and are showing some wear, refrig in room is handy, breakfast offerings are good and in-room coffee is good quality. Staff is always friendly and helpful, and try to make your stay pleasant.

Check in and check out staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were decent sized & clean. No elevator. Breakfast was decent. Not many options for vegetarians. Bed was comfortable. I would recommend this hotel.

I was not sure what to expect, but was very happy. The hotel seems to be in a good location, close to many restaurants, shopping & the college, and easy to access on and off the hwy. It was very clean, looks to have been updated not too long ago, the staff was so friendly and went above and beyond to help us. They had a BIG breakfast selection that was really good. The only 2 complaints that I have are very small and petty, (the light in the restroom could be more centered, when in the shower there is not a lot of light at all after closing the curtain since the light was on the other side of the restroom. For me the bed was on the hard side making it hard to stay asleep and woke up with my back hurting, but I know for some they like the hard beds so that is totally a personal preference and hard for any hotel to get the beds just right for each and every guest. ??) There seemed to be other families staying here as well, it was a very quiet hotel, I would have no problem staying here again, or recommending it to others.

Expected better in the staff. It's very irritating when you travel all day to provide for you family and there needs and to pay 100 dollars and take your grocery to the room and not have a cold fridge to store them in is ridiculous

Very uncomfortable mattress and the sheets were balled and paper thin. Registrar was not interested in putting our rooms next to each other even though every room between us was empty. The breakfast was lacking in choices and wasn't properly stocked. There was no milk, yogurt or fruit. The coffee was cold.

We were amazed at the friendly and caring people that we had the pleasure of getting to know just by being a hotel customer. The staff helped us at early check in, going above and beyond to help make sure we had rooms together. Then just friendly chance meetings as we stayed the night. From the manager Hollis, to the front desk girl Anastasia, to the kitchen chef Willard, and the cleaning ladies i don't even know the names of, we were treated like family in the most loving way.

Very helpful and eager to please staff. Hot breakfast buffet featured real carved ham! Business center was problematic and printer was removed during our stay...inconvenience for our needs to print a page of directions. AC , desk lamp, shower had some deficient switches and valve, but did not present concerns we could not deal with...maintenance may be a problem here...we did not request any maintenance.

Probably nice for a BW but not closes to Hampton of Holiday Inn Express. Extreme odor in lobby and room, not sure what it was. Spend the extra dollars to stay elsewhere and be happier. Every time we choose a BW We are usually disappointed.

If you are just looking for a basic hotel, fairly close to Bowers stadium, this will do the trick. We were in town for the SHSU Marching Festival, and this worked well for us. It had a typical basic hotel breakfast. The rooms were neat and clean. We just needed a place to spend a night, to save us a late night drive home.

Good price, quiet rooms, not the most comfortable bed. Hotel set back from freeway, so fairly quiet. Stand room, was clean and had expected amenities- hair dryer, coffee maker, soap, shampoo, lotion, etc...nice buffet breakfast, offering eggs, pancakes, breads, yougurt & more. With exception of bed, good experience.

We enjoyed staying at this hotel. It was reasonable priced, the Breakfast was awesome and the room was clean. The hotel was close to downtown, Sam Houston University and right off I45 where all the restaurants are. We will stay there again for sure. Thanks you.

I knew as soon as I pulled into the parking lot this was not going to be good. I spent the evening visiting with my parents (in their 90s), rather than checking in early, as I normally would; big mistake! By the time I did check in, their were only 2 rooms left, both on the 2nd floor. I tried to explain that my wife has osreoarthritis in both knees, facing double knee replacement in just a few weeks; I got no sympathy! After practically carrying her upstairs, I had to summon the night clerk to get the A/C to work. While getting ready for bed, my wife (bad knees, remember?) discovers the bathroom has a child's toilet; she has to struggle to get on & off of it. She crawls into bed to discover the mattress springs can be felt through the ticking & it's as hard as concrete slab; plus, the sheets & bedspread are heavily stained, & the sheets are threadbare. If I was a firsttime customer of Best Western, this would probably be my only & last visit; however, I'm fortunate to know that this is a rare experience with BW. I will definitely be staying elsewhere the next time I visit my parents!

Checking inn into our room were very nice and professional the lady received us made us feel welcome and part as a family and made sure our door key worked properly and that the room was to our perspective

Stayed at this hotel for business almost a week. Nice staff and nice rooms. I judge all my hotels on cleanliness and this was a clean hotel. The wake up call feature did not work which could of gotten me in trouble of i didnt also set me phone alarm.

this best western at south padre was terrible. Rooms and hall had a terrible smell. rooms were no cleaned like I'm used to with best western. Front staff seemed not to care. Breakfast was good.Dirty and bed was uncomfortable. Will not stay there again. Have lots of friends go to padre and i have warned them about this hotel.

I loved my stay at best western hotel in Huntsville Texas the staff were extremely friendly and helpful this hotel was extremely clean..the most comfortable bed..breakfast was great overall my husband and i rate this hotel a 10

I have stayed many times at this facility but was disappointed in my stay this time. Was not given the room I booked on line - had to move to a different room which was not the same Beds were horrible.

This is a motor lodge that has seen its better days. I should have kn own this would be a bad experience when upon arriving I had to call the front desk to have someone come unlock the front door to let us in. Beds were uncomfortable.

Definitely a 10 on cleanliness and comfort. I was always greeted with a smile from staff. Breakfast was yummy, best biscuits I've ever had. The room a/c was wonderful. Enjoyed the large dressing areas and bathrooms. Plenty of space to relax. Definitely will stay here again.

My family needed a nice, clean room for a quick 1 night stay. We found that here. There were a few places where it was obvious that this was not a brand new hotel but it was very clean and smelled great. The room was pretty spacious for a standard 2 queen bed room. I liked the mattress- my husband hated it. We didn't eat breakfast there but it looked pretty good with bacon, sausage and eggs. The wifi was very slow. The hotel is tucked back off the main road a little (look for the Denny's and the Payless Shoe store) but I think that the location helps to make it quiet. Overall, it met our needs and I can not complain.

The hotel assistant manager was great.. He help me to check in 1 hour early to get to my family reunion on time. Praised to Mr. Miller also my key did not work he personally came up to fix it because lock was on wrong handled.

First time I had stayed at a Best Western in a long time, I was pleasantly surprised by all the upgrades and amenities. The price was just right to. This was a good stay for us as our daughter was close by attending College. The only thing we noticed was that they had no gluten free options out for breakfast.

The sheets were not cleaned & the duvet cover had makeup on it. Asked to change them. The sheets were changed but not the duvet. The room smelled musty & I got a headache every time we were in the room. The staff was very friendly & helpful.

Very nice rooms. Appeared to have been renovated within past five or so years. Wifi slow and confusion on password entry. Terrible experience with "full complimentary breakfast"... Arrived one hour prior to end of serving time and there wasn't much of anything left, lukewarm scrambled eggs, no fruit, biscuits, or white or wheat bread for toast. Crumbs of bacon in tray and staff person told us they didn't have anymore.

The Door was jammed and required considerable force to open or close. The safety latch was broken off. We turned on the bathroom fan and were overcome with stale cigarette fumes. I sat on the mattress and could feel the broken down metal springs and see the pronounced sag in the middle. The breakfast was dismal. The eggs were cold. When I say cold I do not mean room temperature but literally cold in the center. The biscuits for biscuits and gravy were rock hard and dry and the pancake maker was not functional. I asked to change rooms and the experience was basically the same. I am a rewards member and stay at BW frequently and most of the time they are clean and comfortable. Best Western had better get this one under control because it is bringing their reputation down.

I made my reservation through the Best Western web site. I am a disabled veteran and I requested a ground floor room. Somehow, the property didn't get/see my request and I had been assigned a second floor room. Although there was a convention in town, the manager willingly changed my room to accommodate my needs(Thanks). The room was spacious, clean and the beds comfortable. We did not go for the free evening snacks(Tuesday & Thursday) but the breakfast was ample and satisfying. We visit Huntsville yearly and this was the best hotel experience we have had to date. We will definitely stay at this property in the future. Everything you need(restaurants & shopping) is very close to the property.

Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The air conditioner and refrigerator worked well. I did not have time to try the breakfast but with what I experienced, what more could I ask for. I would definitely stay there again.

My family and I stayed here for my cousins college orientation. Room were nice and clean, in a good location, there are shopping and restaurants very near. The staff were extremely nice. They invited all the guest to an evening social with free food and drinks.

Myself and two other friends stayed here one night while attending an event at the fairgrounds our room was large and the beds were comfortable. I really like the layout of the room and we did not feel cramped at all. I would definitely stay here again and I definitely recommend it

I was visiting family in the area, and I prefer the Best Western where possible, it is good value for the money and generally the free breakfast helps with the cost. I enjoyed my stay for the most part, but the bed may be ready for replacement.

Good location...friendly staff. Modern, clean rooms. Good complimentary breakfast menu and quality. Easy access to Interstate 45. Good dining options close to the hotel. I would definitely stay here again!

The staff and service was exceptional. If you need a strong internet connection for business, stay elsewhere. I was in the midst of a video conference in the business center and was cut off of the internet and not allowed to reconnect without warning.

The beds were amazing the rooms were very clean and their breakfast was just out of this world they had a very good selection of food and everybody there was very sweet and helpful I will definitely be back

If you can avoid Huntsville, you should by all means. This was my 2nd time staying there for work and I have vowed never to go again, especially as a female travelling alone. There was a group of men living at the hotel temporarily who were catcalling and shouting at me when I arrived, which was uncomfortable. Fortunately the woman at the front desk said she wouldn't allow it and spoke to them then called my room later to check on me, which I appreciated. The room itself was clean, nice and had lots of tv channels and free WiFi

Our room was filthy! There was a Ritz cracker box left next to one of the beds and popcorn all over the floor by the other. There was a spotty residue on the bathroom floor and holes were worn in the bed linens. One other review mentioned that the pics are deceiving. I agree completely. The pictures make it look like the furnishings and linens are high end but they definitely are not. Slapping a coat of knock down and some paint on a room does not help when everything else is cheaply thrown together. Also, all of the entry doors are on the exterior of the building. I prefer interior doors for security reasons. The only good thing I can say about this place is that the A/C worked. I will not be staying at a Best Western ever again.

Fantastic service standards, amenities, and that modern yet "home away from home" vibe! As a multi-state director I travel frequently, and the BW Huntsville is my favorite...I always look forward to my visit.

The word hotel is deceiving. The rooms open to the street outside and the indoor/outdoor carpet and chipping paint give it a cheap vibe. The beds are comfortable, but the walls are thin. I could hear the people next door easily.

The hotel's outward appearance was a little less than stellar but the hotel itself was very nice and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They said they had "happy hour" from 6-7 on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We were there for a Tuesday happy hour. It wasn't served until 6:20 pm. It ended promptly at 7 pm. Since it was free, I guess I can't really complain.

I only stayed on night, but the everything was clean and comfortable. The staff was helpful and pool was a nice place to relax after a long drive. The bed was comfy and the bedding was clean! I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel.

Stayed here for one night, reviews were great, but the room was so so and the bed was way too soft. Air conditioning would not keep up with the need of the room, left you feeling sticky. Although there were some update to the room, the carpet was sticky feeling and the bathroom was old fixtures with new paint. Thing seemed clean.

Stayed in town while attending an activity at the university. The hotel is very close. This is the second time we stay at this hotel. We found the room was comfortable and clean. The front staff was very courteous. Breakfast was amazing! We will be frequenting the area in the next several years. I believe we have found a place here we can trust.

CUSTOMER SERVICE IS A+.... the rooms are spotless, comfortable and quiet! Everything you would want/need are at your fingertip. I wish all hotels used this location and their staff as modalities for teaching their employees.

This hotel is an excellent choice to stay in. It is clean, comfortable, the staff is very courteous, friendly, and accommodating. The grounds are beautiful and are very well maintained. The breakfast food offerings are very good, eggs, bacon, biscuits & gravy, sausages, cereals, milk, yogurt, some fruits-apples and oranges, pancakes or waffles, very good coffee. There is a very nice fitness center and pool. There are two floors, no elevators. Thank goodness-carpet and no cheap, laminate flooring! Everything worked well, water pressure was good, water warm enough and not too hot (although I like my water to be a little warmer for showers), and the air conditioner worked very well, so I assume the heater works well, too. Really, a wonderful hotel to stay in. We were very well pleased!

My first stay at the Best Western in Huntsville was good. This one, not so much. There was hair in the sink and bathtub, the toilet gurgled every time the room next door flushed, then the room would fill up with sewer smells. The internet would not connect most of the time which made it difficult for working. The breakfast was good but the bacon was really greasy. My first morning at breakfast there wasn't any meats. We had to ask for some to be put out for us to eat.

In Texas to see a Texas A&M football game, we chose to rent a room in Huntsville and make the pleasant drive rather than pay double at a hotel in College Station. The staff here was very pleasant, the hotel is clean, and our room was comfortable. My wife enjoys breakfast and the free breakfast here was a notch above many of the places where we have stayed before. They have the normal cereal, fruit, eggs, sausage, biscuits and gray, etc., but they also had something we had not seen before. Almost everywhere has waffle makers now but not pancakes. This Best Western has an automatic pancake machine. All you have to do is push a button and in a minute or so, the conveyor belt delivers a hot pancake of acceptable quality. I had to get one just to see it work and have included the machine and the pancakes in the photos with this review. If you are in the area and want a good place to stay at a reasonable price, give this hotel a try. If we return to the area, we will be back here.

Older hotel with outside entrance. Room was clean, air conditioner worked very well, grounds very well kept, good breakfast with a variety of items to choose from. Very courteous staff from the front desk to the housekeeping. Will definitely stay here again if in the Huntsville area

i would definitely recommend this motel. Obviously well maintained and up to date with the obvious exception of outside entrances to the rooms. This does not bother me, but I have friends who will no longer stay in motels with outside access to the guest rooms.

First off I want to make sure that Hollis gets some credit here. He was so nice and accommodating. He went out of his way to make sure my stay was comfortable and I wanted to "thank him" in a review. There are a number of hotels to pick from in Huntsville but I'm glad that I took the time to review most. My room was so clean and comfy. It had everything that I've come to expect and more. I love the fact that this older property is kept up so nice. The outside access doors is a plus for me. The breakfast was plentiful and kept full and clean. Thanks again for the peaceful night.

Pleasantly surprised with the quality of the room and furnishings. We felt pampered. The remodel was done very well. Appeared that all including bedding was brand new. Luckily the hotel was not full and was very quiet and is on a quiet cul-de-sac.

Thank you for being a wonderful place to stay. We come once a month and knowing this Best Western is always reliable and consistent makes our journey every month a little easier. The staff is always friendly, the breakfast is quick and easy, and most important is the bed is just right!

This wasn't planned, we were going home from San Antonio and just couldn't drive anymore. They made arrangements to get us on bottom floor when they were full as I am handicapped and made sure we had everything we needed. Will definitely stay there again. They go out of there way to accommodate you, know matter what.

Stayed at this hotel last week--terrible experience! Asked for "handicap-friendly" room and told there were none and that there was plenty of parking in the back of the hotel--causing us to walk as far as possible to get to amenities. Noticed that both of the handicap rooms (in the front) were vacant overnight. Our room was extremely dark and felt dirty. Breakfast was barely edible. Needless to say, we will not be staying at this hotel again. Desk clerks were not accommodating (when they were even present).

People were so friendly. Everyone was also so professional. I am definitely returning back when I go back to Huntsville. Everything was on point from start to finish. I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a room to stay here.

Rooms are clean but unbelievably there are no cable channels including ESPN. WIFI is completely unusable. Breakfast is decent but not enough fruit. Bacon at breakfast is the best tasting I have had a Best Western. My room had a strong smell. I have a feeling it is because of the age of the hotel.

Needed a welcoming, clean, comfortable place to stay in Huntsville, TX. We were impressed with the great customer service - very welcoming and eager to please. The rooms have been refurbished and were very nice - and clean! The bathroom was a good size too.

Again, maids that do their jobs while the rest of the staff plays with their phones. Unfriendly front desk at night. Expensive 'snack area', no vending. I earned platinum membership through BW rewards program, and I was excited to receive my so-called perks, regardless of how lame they might be. I did not receive what the rewards page states I would, which is an upgrade if possible and a check-in gift, nor was my platinum membership even acknowledged. The breakfast hostess was not in uniform so I didn't realize the person on their phone next to me could have attended to the counter and fill the empty hot items until she decide to get some biscuits for herself. The rooms are clean, I love the maids, they are so sweet. I will go ahead and stay in Madisonville 20 miles North or elsewhere next time I'm bopping around that area.

The room was clean, employees were friendly, breakfast was excellent. Most important of all, the price was right, $89 dollars plus tax for that night. We have checked other hotels near by, and the rate were much higher than this Best Western Huntsville. Will be back for our next trip thru Houston area for sure.

Pleasant stay at this hotel. Good location, quiet, excellent breakfast, variety of choices and fresh. I felt safe and the hotel staff was very nice and helpful. I would recommend this hotel for the Huntsville area.

Check in went smooth and the price was good. Room in back was quiet. The beds were outstanding. Nice pillows and a comfortable mattress. I was impressed with the bathroom fixtures as well. Modern. I will try B/W more often and compare overall to Hamptons. As others said, breakfast was a little different and good quality.

Great location, facilities, management and staff! We were upgraded to a suite for only $10 more! Room was quite, clean and comfortable. We checked the reviews before coming to this Best Western - one said they had "real" eggs for breakfast - they did! Plenty variety of items for breakfast. The staff seemed eager to help and meet any need.

All the hotels in the area were full due to the Halloween weekend and events, but we were able to secure a king size room here. It was a little out of date, but expected in Huntsville, otherwise clean room, cold air. Breakfast in the morning had fresh eggs, ham and bacon with great biscuits. If I had to stay again I definitely would.

Room was not cleaned by the staff. The bed was full of hair and stuff. Staff gave me sheets for me to clean room. They promised refund have not received it to date. They claimed they would contact third party booking agent. Neither has contacted me to date. i will not use neither again. i will tell everyone I know to avoid both.

The bed was incredibly comfortable, room clean and tidy and full breakfast was delicious! I slept great and the staff was hospitable and welcoming to my team. The food was so good, I went back for seconds.

The hotel itself is about average but the employees bring that rating to a dismal level. They were hurried and seemed bothered on the phone, and on more than one night the overnight clerk hung out in the parking lot smoking and laughing so loud it kept me awake. With the number of hotels available do yourself a favor and skip the Best Western in Huntsville until the can get guest service employees who understand a little about guest services.

Very nice, clean hotel with a pleasant staff. The breakfast was really good and fresh. The cost was very reasonable. Very low if any noise level. I will stay here again, even though the drive to College Station is about an hour.

Great stay. Bed was super as are all Best Western Hotels-I always sleep good there. Breakfest was very good with a good variety of hot and cold items including ham-you never see that. Overall a great place to stay!!

This hotel was very nice and clean. The room with two queen beds was large and bathroom nice. Their breakfast much better than most hotels with free breakfast offered. They had eggs, sausage, bacon and even pancakes plus other regular offerings. Lady that runs the breakfast area was very nice and willing to help you. Coffee was good as well. Definitely recommend!!

The employee made the stay perfect. The rooms are large and clean! Breakfast and the internet connection perfect for business. Great for family stay...maybe not so much for romance. But, overall an "A" property. Thank you

My room was clean and my checkout clerk was very accommodating and helpful. My room was on the 2nd floor and there was no elevator. There was not a secure internet connection and I had very little water pressure in my shower. Breakfast was good, but my eggs were cold and not very appealing. I would not stay here again.

Room itself was adequate. However, we were told it was the last room available on the first floor. After we took everything inside, we turned on TV and it would not work. Desk clerk said she could move us next door which we declined because we were so tired we didn't want to move all our stuff again. ( I thought we were last room available on first floor?) Next day we found out they had been having trouble with that TV so why would we have been put there in the first place? Says motel is wheelchair accessible, but door threshold was difficult to get over for our handicapped mother. Also 5-6 inch step from parking area to sidewalk in front of room was too much for my mother to navigate. My sister had to push her from front entrance around sidewalk to room on backside of motel. So I would not say this motel is very wheelchair/walker friendly. Day staff was very nice, friendly, and helpful which was the best part of our stay.

The hotel/motel offerings in Huntsville, TX are not generally the ones that we consider staying in at all because of the level of expectation from the stay. Having a child in college at SHSU we have tried a different chain/location each time we have stayed overnight in the attempt to find a location that did not just completely disappoint us in our stay. We have found just that in this location; friendly and accommodating staff, best price we have paid so far, extremely comfortable beds, tasty free breakfast with reasonable options and fairly quite location. We will stay again!

Beds were comfortable, service was good, Place was clean. It was priced affordably and there were restaurants and other things to do close by. Good Highway access. The décor was nice and the outdoor pool was a positive.

Have stayed here several times now and this place is really a well kept secret. Clean, comfy, quiet (about 2 blocks off 45). Staff are always friendly. We will return next time we are working in the Huntsville area. It is also close to restaurants and they have an outdoor pool. Havent used pool but it looks nice.

I was traveling alone and when I checked into the hotel there were two women there to greet me, both very friendly and talkative. They told me about upcoming events at the hotel and in the area, told me where stores were that I needed to find and how to get there, and really made me feel welcome and at home.

Great location, staff and facility! The rooms were clean and fresh and the staff super nice and helpful..The breakfast was just right. If you need a place in Huntsville this is it! I highly recommend this hotel!

This is by far the best hotel in Huntsville. It's always clean and well-maintained. The pool and pool area are lovely and relaxing. And the staff, especially at the front desk, are awesome. I usually leave too early to enjoy the breakfast, but there are snacks to go. And when I do stay for breakfast, it's always fresh and tasty. Nothing too inspired, but way better than most included breakfasts. It's a relaxing part of what is sometimes an emotional weekend (visiting a loved on in a nearby prison unit).

Let me start by saying that I am a Best Western follower. I enjoy using Best Western when needing a hotel. I have also helped out at our own family's hotels and know what to look for in quality. This however, was not my best experience at a Best Western. The staff were all very helpful and nice. The AC was great in this hot Texas heat and the room was fully stocked with clean linens and a few of the basic needs. The TV and satellite were wonderful but we had a few issues where the remote kept becoming un-synced to the satellite control. My main concern was the bathroom ceiling where it appeared that there was a possible leak issue that needs to be fixed and appeared to be molded. The breakfast was nice, but my children were disappointed that neither day had pancakes. On the second day when asked, the woman hesitantly said that the machine wasn't working though I noticed it was still plugged in and had all the amenities around it which kind of looked suspicious as if it was working but just not on. You don't let one bad apple ruin the bunch, but Best Western definitely needs to take a look at this particular hotel for repairs.

I made a last minute reservation while at my daughter's orientation for college. I checked in and the lady at the front desk went out of her way to see if I had a rewards card by calling Best Western customer service. As soon as I got to my room and checked it out, the lady from the front desk called to make sure my room was to my liking and was able to get my rewards card re-established. Breakfast the next morning was more than I expected and was able to fill my kids up on what they had available as if they were at home. I was a happy mother and We enjoyed our stay.

Easy on and off access to 45. Clean Rooms. Good Breakfast. Love the Aquamer toiletries. As a female traveling with my son, the only thing I did not like was that it has outside entrance to the the rooms.

Had a cricket in our room that chirped all night long and kept us up. Cricket probably came in through the crack at the bottom of the door that led to the parking lot. Everything else was just ok nothing special.

Had to travel to Huntsville twice in one week. Stayed here both times. Very comfy bed and clean rooms. No issues with noise or any disturbances. Good breakfast, good service. I thought the courtesy phone call was pleasant. Staff members are genuinely concerned about guest's stay.

This was a very nice hotel. At first glance on the outside I was not expecting the rooms to be up to date, but was very surprised when I saw the room. Very spacious and clean with great beds. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was wonderful with a great variety. I would stay here again.

We were staying in Huntsville just overnight. This hotel had very friendly staff. The room was clean with very comfortable beds. The breakfast was fresh. Having breakfast in a separate room made for a quiet meal. However, the hotel did have exterior doors and the room had a noisy air conditioner.

Thank you for the stay. We do enjoy the free breakfast and the rooms are clean. We have stayed at many hotels in the area and Best Western is by far the best. The staff is very helpful. The Wi-Fi works well. The pool is small.

Our room was very nice and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was a treat with good selections that included something you don't get at many hotels: real scrambled eggs, plus sausage, ham, AND bacon. We were also glad to find that pets a welcome for a small fee. We will stay here again.

The room was very large, had 2 queen beds that were very comfortable, the room was exceptionally clean. All the staff were very friendly and tried very hard to meet all your needs. The hot breakfast was pretty good and well stocked. I didn't use the pool, but it's an outside pool and looked very clean and plenty large enough.

Went down to see one of the grandchildren in a play (of course he was really goof) and stayed at the Best Western. Out of the several places we have stayed in Huntsville this is so far the best. Manager very pleasant along with the rest of the staff. As noted in heading it was quiet and clean. There isn't much choice in Huntsville and the higher cost is worth it.

Five different families, from all over the U.S., met and stayed at this Best Western. Although two of the families had to switch rooms due to minor problems, management resolved the issues to everyone's satisfaction. We all stayed for five nights, while visiting other family for a reunion. Due to all the activity, we were in and out of our rooms all day long, and housekeeping cheerfully worked around our schedules. If you believe that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, you need to stay at Best Western in Huntsville. Each day, there is a full spread of breakfast foods, including ham, sausage and bacon, eggs, biscuits and gravy, cereal, waffles, fresh coffee and three different juices! The food was fresh, and in abundance. I give this Best Western a 4 star rating.

Enjoyed spending a few nights here recently. Place was clean and well maintained. It's a somewhat older facility but they keep it up. Breakfast was good. They take pride in their freshly cooked eggs, bacon, etc. Nice size breakfast room. Check in and out was quick. Staff were friendly.

My first time there, I chose it because it was one of the only pet-friendly hotels in the whole area. But after my stay I decided that would be the only hotel I stayed at whenever I travel to Huntsville, regardless as to whether I have my dogs or not. The price seems a little steep at first glance, but when you experience the service, the attitude of the employees, and the comfort of the room itself, I think you'll find that it's well worth every penny.

My wife and I spent two nights here just before Easter. We were in Huntsville about a month ago and selected another hotel for the same rate. The Best Western was definitely an upgrade. We were extremely pleased with our choice. It was very quiet in addition to the other items mentioned in the title. We would certainly choose this hotel again.

This property is a little older with doors facing the outside but it is recently updated and very clean. I would have given it a 5 rating, but the walls are fairly thin and I could hear the belligerent drunk guy in the room next to me. Fortunately he passed out about 9 and didn't make any more noise but then the trash truck came around at 2:30am to pick up the dumpsters. The internet speeds are the fastest I've seen at just about any hotel and I must say having the full selection of DirecTV during March makes this hotel selection a no-brainer. Bed was comfortable and breakfast was pretty good. They had ham, real bacon, and pancakes. Yay! I will stay here again.

This hotel was GREAT!! Employees were very helpful, courteous, and friendly. Lobby, rooms, amenities were also great. This hotel is also pet-friendly. I will definitely be staying here from now on. I highly recommend this hotel to all my family and friends.

This Best Western is one of the cleanest and nicest for its age that we have ever stayed in. The staff was very courteous and helpful. The breakfast room was very clean and neat, the food was fresh and hot. We defiantly recommend this Motel.

This hotel is such a welcoming and comfortable place. I visit a loved one in the TDCJ Eastham unit every weekend. Most weeks, I leave home at 4am for a three hour drive, have my visit and then head back home. Sometimes, however, I choose to stay overnight. This is the hotel of choice! Best one in Huntsville! An even better experience than the one or two that are more expensive. This weekend, in addition to my visit, I was on a work deadline. The hotel was so peaceful and peasant that I stayed an extra night to get my work done. Overall, my stress level this weekend was very high. The staff and accommodations here were a real blessing and made all the difference for me. The young man at the desk -- I believe his name was Hollis -- was very helpful and kind both when I called in advance of my arrival and while I was there. He was just a pleasure to deal with and made me feel like a valued customer. The hotel is very lucky to have him on staff.

Clean,good breakfast,a good staff and all around good experience. Been at this hotel every year for the past 3 years while enjoying Freds KCBS barbecue cook off just down the road. Perfect location with lots of choices for eating out.

Room very clean and spacious, so glad to find refrigerator and microwave. My only 2 disappointments were the lavatory, spigot too far back and a short neck. Makes it impossible to reach and use without getting your clothes wet, such as brushing your teeth or washing your face. The 2nd thing is the closet, whoever designed it certainly failed. You cannot hang your clothes or garment bag. If you do the door won't close. The rack was installed in the front instead of middle. See pictures!

Hotel personnel were nice and very helpful. The room was clean and the room was very comfortable. The bed was comfortable and sleep came easily. The breakfast was tasty and hot, with different choices depending on diet choices. Everything was hot and freshly made, and was delicious.

i usually stay at another hotel, but do to a family emergency I needed to be Huntsville the 12th thru the 14th and that hotel wanted to charge me 212.00 for the night since it was Valentine weekend. So i contacted Best Western and they were able to accommodate me and at a very affordable price. There was a slight hiccup however with my room, but management went beyond the call of duty to make things right. I cannot thank him enough. It was a stressful visit and they made it a little less stressful. When a hotel goes out of its way to make sure you have a place to stay, and at a very very reasonable place....you can not go wrong. Give them a try, you won't regret it. I will be staying there again in two weeks. Thank you again Best Western for everything you did.

Have stayed here before. This place keeps improving. The rooms are updated and nice, beds are comfy. They have a frig & microwave. The staff are very helpful and accommodating. They said they have social hour, but we didn't make that. We did finally make breakfast and I was impressed. I usually can skip these, but everything was fresh, they had a couple choices of fruit and more healthy options. I didn't have time to use but they have a nice fitness area. The pool was closed and perhaps in process of a repair at this time (Feb 2016). This is our def go to for Huntsville area for now.

The staff at this facility go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. The location is quite and I felt very safe staying here. The breakfast was actually cooked by the staff and was not artificial,pre-packaged food. Very nice place to stay.

I rely on TripAdvisor for hotels as well as restaurant reviews so I know how important accurate reviews are for others. This is an excellent hotel. The staff (front desk, housekeeping, and breakfast area) are very friendly and helpful. Great location, close to I-45 with plenty of restaurants nearby. Only 45 minutes north of Houston. Free Breakfast had plenty of choices: fresh fruit, yogurt, pancakes, hot biscuits & gravy, eggs, bacon, ham, sausage, cereal, muffins, toast, bagels and I probably left something out. The rooms are very updated and clean. It is evident that Housekeeping takes pride in doing a good job. There is a microwave and mini refrig in the rooms. Fitness center is good, several cardio machines as well as a weight machine. I stayed for 4 nights Thurs-Monday. I have stayed there the past 2 years, about the same time of year and both stays I would rate the same (excellent). There was a minor issue with my rate but the manager addressed it promptly and it was resolved. Debbie is the General manager and you can tell she really cares about providing good customer service to those who stay there. There is no doubt why this place is rated #1. Great job to those working at the Best Western in Huntsville!

My husband and I checked in on Christmas Day. We had a family dinner to go to, so we showed up a couple of hours early. To our pleasant surprise, they let us check in. The room was very nice and very clean. We did however found the bed uncomfortable. Breakfast the next morning was great! Lots of choices and a nice room to eat in. All the staff was very friendly! Would go back again.

Reasonably priced and comfortable. We were staying here to visit our son at SHSU. The workout facility needs maintenance. The eliptical and bike were wobbly and the some of the tother equipment was faulty.

I have stayed at the Best Western several times, and the staff is always outstanding. The rooms are always in excellent condition, and it sits in a convenient location. I was once force to stay at a competitor motel, and was very disappointed, I always book well ahead now to make certain I can reserve a room here!

Room very nice, clean, quiet, remodeled. Mattress too soft for me and my wife. Front desk lady acted like it was an imposition to try to get me a bottom floor room. Room very spacious and quiet. Shower head was a good 8 feet in the air. Great for me since I'm 6'3",

One of the most cordial staffs around . Rooms and service very good for the price. Breakfast choice is above averageand space is usually adequate. Location is in a quiet area far enough away from traffic.

We stayed one night while traveling through on the way to Galveston. The hotel is a little hard to find on the west side of I-45 behind a Chili's and Bob Luby's Seafood. Both those restaurants were within easy walking distance without crossing roads. There was also a Kroger and Walmart within a half a mile. The hotel was very clean with a nice lobby. Our room was on the backside but that helped cut down on highway noise. They offered a breakfast buffet that was standard fare but very good including BACON !! :-). I think the room rate was very reasonable and would stay there again,especially comparable places and prices.

All the staff I came across were very pleasant and welcoming. The internet never messed up and the food offered during breakfast and happy hour was good. I did not have any disruptive neighbors or any complaint in generate. I would definately recommend this Best Western to someone in the future and would consider staying here again, myself.

This is a tired, old property that really show its age. (Also, there is no elevator...just in case that is important to you.) I have stayed at many Best Westerns much nicer than this, so I would rate this at the lower end of the scale. It's location is convenient to the freeway and some might say it is in the center of town.

This hotel was extremely nice.....very clean and very well decorated. I would highly recommend this hotel. We also ate breakfast which was very good.....no waffles, though, but that's okay. The hotel was in a convenient location.

The Hotel needs some remolding/upgrades due to age. The appearance of staff not very neat and professional. The breakfast items available not very appealing and fruit was old and not fresh in appearance. The light fixture was out. Also, the attendant did no have a uniform on so you could not tell if he was an employee or not. Coffee was out, limited fruit and just overall appearance not good.

My family stayed for 3 nights for my son's wedding. I actually booked 5 rooms to include wedding party. Everyone was super helpful and the hotel was very nice and clean. Breakfast was great. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are in Huntsville. Debbie and Hollis were very professional.

Rude staff, water in shower ran brown, water turned off for 2 hours, have to change out keys to rooms everyday. I am a contractor and travel a lot, this was one of the worst places I've ever stayed. Would not recommend this place to anyone I liked.
