Great newer hotel right on the main road, but very quiet. Felt like we had the place to ourselves! Nice little pool, good breakfast, clean rooms, great easy parking, fast internet! The only problem we encountered was a luggage cart with a bum wheel; I think those things get ridden pretty hard.
One of the newer places in Comanche. Nice large room. Good breakfast so I puked get back on the road. We'll located on the Main Street. Receptionist was helpful as I needed to get back online to take care of the papers and notes. Would stay again if passing through.
Everyone is nice. We go every year & when we leave & come back we cannot find parking spots. Trucks with trailers or work trucks take up 2 to 3 parking places
We stayed here during our trip into town for my father-in-law's funeral. The staff was beyond helpful they multiple times went above and beyond to help me and my family because I travel with my service dog. I could not have asked for a better stay and it is well worth the money the beds were exceptionally comfortable. Highly impressed
We seriously were looking for a way to take the bed home with us lol. It was so comfortable and so quiet in the room. The staff was so amazing. The room was spotless.
Clean, friendly, quiet and a great value. Enjoyed the evening sitting out under a tree by the pool. Had absolutely no problems or issues.
I would give 5 stars based on my own excellent experience. But the rapid response of the staff to another guest's lost item was above and beyond!! As he and I exited the elevator, an electronic device on his belt snagged the door and fell into the elevator shaft -- where it seemed to be gone forever -- especially since he was on a tight schedule. However, the staff immediately responded and managed to retrieve it from the abyss under the elevator.
Comanche is my previous hometown and really makes me proud to have such a wonderful facility for travelers and to make their stay very comfortable. They are so accommodating and helpful. Not to mention how pristine and pleasing the rooms are,
This is the 2nd or 3rd time I have stayed here. I had a king room with enough 120v outlets. Lighting could be better. Light by couch was a 3 way but only one light level worked. Bed light ok if not reading. Desk light OK Plenty of towels. Larger than most refrigerators in other places but no freezer door. Good shower.
I drove out of the parking lot leaving an overnight bag w/ important medications in it. The Manager & Excellent Front Desk Staff took care of me & shipped it to me overnight. Incredible Team!! They are also the Friendliest group I have ever met!
Hotel exterior was clean and well taken care of. Person checking me in was very pleasant and efficient. Room was large, tidy and clean, AC worked which is always a good thing in Central Texas. Front desk lady on Sunday morning was multi tasking, answering the phone, checking people out and watching the breakfast area. Told her we had a major emergency, she smiled and said; "We are out of coffee!" Informed me the gentleman checking out had just informed her, immediately refilled the coffee containers, service with a smile!!!
As a Diamond member, I get recognized as such and get 2 free water bottles in which I always have to ask for. This time, she gave them to me without me asking. The room was big and clean. The shower water pressure was great. I enjoyed having plenty of towels without me asking. The breakfast scrambled eggs were fantastic! Great hotel and if ever in the area, will stay here again.
Good hotel, accommodating employees, clean with Good breakfast! Exceeded my expectations. All but the Shampoo it was terrible and no conditioner. I expected better but everything else was Great! Will be back still.
Reported issues to staff; no service in response; blood on wall above bathroom wastebasket, tooth paste on sink chrome, & mirror; dried urine on bathroom toilet seat, bathroom floor dirty, carpet not vacuumed properly, crumbs and others candy left on the floor, wall moldy by tub. Complained and nothing was offered at all. The evening male host offered another room, but I had totally cleaned this one already and did not want to move and clean another one!!
I've stayed at this hotel 3 times now. I travel regularly through Comanche and always stay here. Clean, new, excellent service, safe and quiet. This will continue to be my go to place. They always go out of their way to be accommodating. Thanks
I traveled from San Francisco, California all the way to Savannah, Georgia and back on this trip in 2022. My stop in Comanche, Texas was because I was doing family research. I like to stay at Best Western Hotels because they're so consistent and I feel safe. When you're a senior — safety is very important. Plus this hotel was clean and the staff was polite. I also met some really nice people from Australia and we had breakfast together, laughed and shared experiences. Who would've thought in a chain hotel you would find people similar to you.
Check in was good and easy. We stayed two nights but had enough towels for both nights. Electrical outlets were adequate. Breakfast was the typical hotel breakfast, nothing to brag about. Rooms were clean. The pool area was nice. Parking good.
We booked our room at the Best Western and we were pleasantly surprised. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The staff was very courteous and we will definitely stay again. We stayed in a room with 2 Queen size beds very comfortable. They offer a continental breakfast and coffee.
We stayed here while we hunted during the weekend. We have no complaints and were pleased with friendliness of the staff. Breakfast was a little short on options but the food there was fine. I'd recommend staying here if you're in town. We'll stay here again.
I've stayed with this property many times over as it's the nicest thing in town. It is a very young property and the rooms are in great condition. Any time there's an event in town it will be full. The city certainly needed something new and it appears to be well received. I'm leaving the city for good due to aging and attrition but I can't say staying here has been a bad value. They need to improve on their breakfast. It never changes and it's pretty puny. The city doesn't have any table service breakfast that's worth a flip making this very important. The ownership really does care that you get what you are supposed to. Still, the architect has cheated the owners in that this building is rocking and rolling on it's foundation. Doors drag across the floor, shower heads fall off and bath vanities are puling away from the wall. The materials are the cheapest available and it's guaranteed to cost the owners plenty in the future. The bath, towels, and facilities are clean and in good condition. The rooms are in great condition as well, and nothing is worn. The office chairs need replacing as they don't raise up and down any more and typing on this machine with my elbows in the air is not very fun. If you are coming to Comanche this is your best bet. I don't know anything about owning a hotel but I do stay with a lot of brands in a lot of other places. Comparing to other brands BW is head and shoulders more attractive because I don't have to police my loyalty points. They don't take them only because of a period of inactivity. Make no mistake I like this place and I'd recommend them. I hate cheap wherever it exists and this building is full of it. That being said it's not affecting me, and it's not likely to affect you. I have great sympathy for buying something new that won't live until tomorrow before it's falling apart. I can't correct that and today's world of imported everything leaves me feeling like I can't buy a good grade of anything any more. There's new generations coming that don't remember what we had that are sadly OK with it.
I've stay at this location many times over the last 12 years and have been very satisfied I would recommend staying here 5 stars rating Sam the owner is has always been very nice I stayed on business and also for pleasure with family
Good old fashioned friendly Texas service. The exterior of the hotel has been updated with a fresh facelift. The inside lobby area, business center and dining area is spotlessly clean. The rooms are roomy with fresh decor and very comfortable. The staff was friendly and attentive to our every need. We were a little disappointed about the breakfast selection this visit, the waffle buffet has been removed, but this is due to COVID and not the hotel management.
The best crew ever. Always so eager to please and help in any way to make my stay the best. All the ones that work the front desk are so good at their job. They get me in and out with such ease. The cleaning staff excellent too. I stay here a lot and have never had a bad experience. I will be staying again!
Nothing amazing to say about this location but it was clean and breakfast was good. The pool was really cold and could use some updating. The room had a couch and chair and was clean. The toilet was extremely low to the ground and kind of hard to get off of.
Very clean room the whole hotel was clean and quiet and staff friendly. The coffee was good and there was some breakfast but it wasn't great we didn't use pool or internet. I would recommend this hotel to all my friends and family
The hotel was nice however check in took forever. The rooms are also nice however the a/c seems a little below par and I wished I had brought a fan. The room was also not the cleanest. There was blood or some kind of coffee stain clear on our comforter and the rest room was not clean - hair all over the bath tub and around the commode.
It was clean and welcoming. We experienced a well maintained hotel. The staff were very attentive. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. Television was bigger than most other hotels. Had a nice selection of channels. Breakfast was good. Sausage and eggs. Muffins and toast. Yogurt. Check out was easy and fast. Highly recommend this hotel.
Very Courteous staff from the cleaning and maintenance crew to the front desk. Smiles and Hellos from everyone. Clean and well maintained property. Easy to get to and from town locally. Great value for the money!
I highly recommend this hotel. It is very clean and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and attentive. My room was clean, shower had good pressure. I used the treadmill in fitness room which was in good working order.
This is copied verbatim from Best Western's own review site. Well, breakfast sucks in this town. It's not just the motel; one cannot get a hot breakfast anywhere in this town in a timely manner. That mess downtown is hardly a cafe, and they are slow as grandma, and their food isn't good. We ended up buying that greasy mess from Sonic and disassembling it for the protein and discarding the rest. This inn needs to get breakfast back up very soon to save the whole community. They can't wait much longer on Matt Daddy. I'm hoping you'll open up a full service cafe complete with cooked to order breakfast and real buttermilk biscuits. This grab-n-go thing has been generous, but it's just not getting the job done. You should open up that diner across the street from you and get rich selling food, too! The awning is a shadow of what it once was, but I guess that's better than cracking in half and falling in on the driveway!!
This is the second time we have stayed at this Best Western. We love the comfortable beds and the clean rooms! The staff behind the desk were not wearing masks but we felt safe with the plexiglass that they had installed! As of this writing there is a grab and go breakfast.
I always stay here when traveling through the area. The rooms are always warm in the winter, cool in the summer, quiet and clean. The beds are basic but comfortable and the staff is courteous and helpful.
I've stayed with this place several times over the past half year, and as I reported earlier the building just wants to collapse on the owners and guests. Whomever specified the materials picked out the lowest grades of everything available, and the building is just now old enough to show problems with that. Doors are crooked in their facings, and the vanities pulling away from the walls. This place is guaranteed to be a maintenance engineer's nightmare for as long as it lives. For the past couple of visits the portico outside was cracking in the middle because it was built wrong and leaked inside. By the time somebody noticed it the damage was severe requiring they tear the whole thing down and start over. On my last visit I find a contracting crew doing just that, and nothing left of the portico but the steel frame and a pile of rubble to be hauled away. None of this fazed me very much, at least until I checked into room 107. I was riding with a travel partner who immediately wanted to clean up. He jumps in the shower and in only a couple minutes I hear a loud thud and banging in the bathroom. He never indicated he was in distress, so I just waited. In a couple minutes he emerges from the bathroom with the shower head in his hand. This thing is HUGE similar to the size of a grapefruit. He told me the plumbing had ejected it and it came crashing down on his head. There were no injuries or concussions, but this just further supports my claim this building wants to collapse on it's occupants. The desk agent didn't know what to do, so she starts calling people who told them to move us to another room. That fixed it, but it didn't repair my confidence one bit, and I'm beginning to believe there are forces in that building we don't know about causing strange occurrences like this on a regular basis. The ownership tore the portico down before it fell in on somebody. I have to wonder what's going to fall off next. I don't want to be there when a vanity pulls off the wall and cuts someone's toes off. It's still the cleanest, newest thing in this little village, and they are acceptable. They are trying to work around Covid-19 with frozen sausage biscuits and coffee in the morning. While I appreciate their efforts, that's no replacement for a real breakfast as everyone served before Covid-19. And, there aren't a whole lot of choices in this little village for hot breakfast anywhere. I can only hope the ownership goes after the original contractor because they should not have to replace a whole portico no older than this building is. It was leaking the day they gave it to the customer and they should be held liable to fix it right.
This motel is extremely clean and well managed. The staff go out of their way to make your stay a pleasant one. Rooms are very clean. All appliances and lighting works. I recommend this motel to everyone who comes to Comanche Texas.
I've stayed with this property before, and they are still the newest and nicest property in town. Right now they have shut down breakfast and much of everything else shared because the virus is surging everywhere. The room quality was good, having a nice TV and a lot of space. The desk agents were courteous and prompt. However, the building is built from the lowest grade materials, and it's starting to collapse on them. The awning has leaked since they built the place and it's now buckling in the middle and it's going to fall in. They have cut the stucco back where it's obvious that this thing was leaking the day the contractor left. It's not very pretty right now. In my room I noticed the door is crooked in it's frame, and the night latch didn't want to close. In the bath room the vanity is sagging and pulling away from the wall leaving a downhill situation on the dressing table. None of the doors on the outside of the building shut correctly. The whole thing looks like a paper maché structure even though it wasn't intended to be. The owners are going to be burdened with cheap construction to the grave. On the southeast corner of the building they have one tree that has turned into a bird sanctuary, and subsequently a non-stop source for bird potty. It's guarding the mail box to keep any would-be mail thieves strictly away. I parked under it for just a couple minutes until I noticed what was going on, then quickly moved. There's nothing that can be done to stop this, thus they should wake up and smell the bird potty and cut that tree down. The appearance of the place is beginning to sag prematurely which is unfortunate. Right now it's everything it's supposed to be, but it's not going to stay that way. I can recommend it because it's the newest place in town, and I've had no trouble with them. But, when the awning over the entry is about to cave in over your head, it's time to hide it, remove it, or fix it. The place would operate perfectly well if they would just take that awning off and throw it away and replace it with something canvas to keep guests dry. If you need a place to stay in Comanche, this is still the best one. There isn't much to eat in Comanche except fast food, and none of those are near this property. When this virus mess finally dissipates it's time to offer the guest something for breakfast, because almost nobody else is.
Under the circumstances, still the best hotel in town. Clean hotel, noticed staff was continuously cleaning. A little disappointed there was no breakfast, not even a muffin from behind the desk as promised when booked.
Wonderful experience. Went out of their way to make sure I even had coffee at 3pm because I'm an all day coffee drinker. Working with best western you know the standards that should be upheld and they were amazing! I will definitely be coming back in the near future when wecome to visit family again.
Great gem in a small town. Jacuzzi suite was a great find. Provided extra towels without asking. Room was clean and check-in/out was quick. Highly recommend if a place to stay is needed in this area. Friendly staff
Great place to stay.... clean motel.... no stopped up showers..absolutely NO problem. Great staff. parking was convenient. Rooms were great. Breakfast was good and variety was ok. Will stay here next time i am in the area!!!
We've experienced a few minor drawbacks to staying here, but it's always clean, safe, and offers friendly service. We stay here when seeing family. It's a lot closer than the options of Brownwood or Stephenville.
Book ahead as this place seems busy. It is immaculate, well supplied with amenities and comfortable. The staff are efficient and highly trained in customer service. Their breakfast smelled delightful though I didn't partake due to a prior arrangement.
Happy to find this hotel in a small town. It looks like new from the outside although the front desk clerk said it had been there for over 10 years. They have renovated it recently and the carpet and paint were quite fresh. It was not too busy when we were there, and very quiet. Mattress a little firm and pillows are a little lumpy, but it was good value for the money. Will stay there again if my travels take me that way.
This hotel was easy to get to and the staff was very nice. The room was very clean the hotel was full but still very quite at night. The pool was great and the area around was clean. The gym was small but the equipment was well maintained. The breakfast wS better than most hotels
Undergoing some remodeling, but this won't afffect a stay. Friendly, quiet, nice clean rooms. A very good value for what you pay. Breakfast is like what you wxpect at Best Western, nice selection, hot and ready to go.
I go and visit a church and friends in De Leon and I stay here because it is close, convenient, clean, and always a wonderful place to stay. I have stayed at this hotel at least 4 times and I've always had excellent service and have no complaints about it.
We live in Comanche County and our section of the county had a power outage that lasted several hours from early in the day and through the night - I called for a room at Best Western Comanche and the got a room. Scott at the front desk was very helpful and the room was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was amazing. But, I want to say thank you for not price gouging us on drinks and snacks. Most hotels sale bottles of water for $5. Nope drinks $1 and and snacks $1-$2. We would recommend this hotel to anyone. And, breakfast, so good!
My family felt spontaneous and decided to head to Comanche on a whim. We booked the hotel for $109/night. Which I thought was a deal since other sites were showing $125/night. Location was good and close to the Rocking J Cafe for a quick bite to eat. A little disappointed that the pool closed at 9pm. Hotel had just been remodeled and updated. Looked nice and felt fresh and clean. Rooms were ample space. We stayed in a King suite with pull out sofa bed. All facilities worked but we didn't use gym or even have breakfast even though it was included. Pillows were my only complaint. The pillows were sooooo small. Almost child sized. I had to double then up. Overall stay was good. It's the BEST hotel in Comanche. There are two Best Westerns so make sure this is the one at 1505 East Central Ave.
Annually, this is a regular stop for me. The hotel and staff are great. Always a pleasant experience. The rooms are clean and well appointed. The breakfast is fresh and good, with plenty of choices. Always a restful stay here.
Nice clean hotel at a reasonable rate. Breakfast is OK. The bed is very comfortable. There is an outdoor pool and an exercise area. I am always thanked for being a rewards member. The towels are a little stiff but smell fresh and clean.
On 3/16 we stayed at this Best Western and we had a perfect night! Chris at the front desk should write a book on excellent customer service! He is amazing!! I have a bad back but I had a great sleep on fantastic beds!!!
We were going to San Antonio and decided to stop in Comanche. The AAA Tourbook mentioned the BW so we found it. It was definitely a pleasant surprise to find such a great hotel here. It was very clean, convenient, and up to the usual BW standards.
Very nice place to stay. Clean and very friendly staff. Facilities were great. Very good place for a family reunion. Large park in the town to hold BBQ and play sport with the family. Lake Proctor very close. Very good lake.
There are a few motels in Comanche that are cheaper, but none offer the amenities that the Best Western does. It is quiet, secure, and well-appointed, with everything the business or leisure traveler needs. And of all the hotels I've stayed in across the country that offer breakfast, the breakfast here is one of the top two or three in my memory.
One of the best hotels in the middle of Texas. There are not too many hotels in this part of Texas, but this is one of the nicest. Service is good and the facility is clean and neat. I use this location often for trips to a railroad facility.
Excellent all around - comfortable beds - large clean room - excellent wifi - many choices at breakfast, including hot foods - friendly staff - would prefer indoor pool but did have pool - also had exercise room - rented two rooms, one with king bed and sofa and one with two queen beds, both great rooms - great value - would definitely recommend
We stay in Comanche when we visit my brother 50 miles away. This is the most comfortable hotel in this area of Texas we have stayed in. We have stayed in at least 5 others. The room was comfortably large enough. The linens were fresh smelling and comfortable. The room and hotel in general was extremely clean.
This hotel has been around for about 10 years or so and had been well taken care of. The room was super clean and the staff was very nice. This is the only hotel I would stay at in Comanche. Only draw back were the small pillows.
The Best Western Comanche Inn is a nice , clean hotel on the east side of town. Two story, with inside hallways. I had a large, clean King room, w/ work desk, easy chair w/ footstool and lamp, dresser unit w/ frig and mw. Small flat-scrren TV on dresser w/ good selection of channels. The firm bed was good for my back but I suggest bring own pillow, as only small square pillows provided. Light continental breakfast w/ plenty of seating but good restaurant across street. Quiet, clean, at good price. Recommended.
Stayed for one night on the way to another destination. Clean, newer facility, clean rooms and a very decent price. The only downside was the inability to easily walk anywhere off the property due to its location at the edge of town.
We stayed here while traveling the backroads to Waco. A surprise find. This is a very clean, excellent place to stay. The king room was spacious and clean. The yo g man at the desk in the evening was great and even recommended a great local place to eat. Good value. Would definitely stay here again.
Very pleased with our stay at the Best Western in Comanche Tx. The check in and staff were helpful and we had a comfortable room and bed, enjoying a continental breakfast. the next morning before check out
We always enjoy staying at the Best Western when visiting Comanche, TX. Hotel is centrally located near the town square, restaurants and stores. Stay here several times a year when visiting family in the area.
There are a few in the tiny Town but this is definitely the better of the bunch. We stayed around the holidays. Staff at the reception were friendly and gave us the keys. The room looks like those on review sites. It was pretty clean. Room was spacious and plenty of pillows I'd say for most people. I usually use around 4 to sleep since I like to sleep upright. I could have snagged more but was okay for one night the bed was firm so if those are good for ya then you're set. I will praise the wifi. Their speed was really good. Considering how small the town is. I was getting around 35 mbs. Which is what I get at work in DFW area. So I was impressed. Breakfast was your standard fair. Waffle maker, apples oranges , yogurt , cereal , eggs bacon etc. Some pastries and toast as well. So pretty good options and free so I say it's worth it. Pros: Wifi was very amazing. Fastest I've had in a hotel. Staff was friendly Room was spacious Breakfast was plentiful Con: Pillows were fairly thin. I'd request another if needed. Bed was a little firm. Overall I definitely recommend this place. Wifi was great. Stay here if you are in area.
Weather was changing and road was receiving freezing fog. Stopped at Best Western in Comanche as my wife and I have stayed there before. Room very clean, heating system was quiet and worked very well. Bathroom was very clean and shower was hot. Very enjoyable stop over.
The Best Western in Comanche is where we always stay when we're in the area. It is always clean, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I had a new computer this time, and Sam even came down to help me set it up. Above and beyond!
I have not had to stay in a hotel/motel when I visit my mother, but this time I did. There are NOT many hotel/motel options is this area. But, thank goodness for this Best Western. A very personable staff and clean hotel! Will book for my future stays!
Hotel was about what I expected for a small town. Worth the price... Rooms are decent size and beds are comfortable. Walls are thin no noise dampening. Had to move rooms due to neighbor snoring loudly. Night clerk did so with no issues. Breakfast could be better.
I feel like I am home when I stay at the Best Western Comanche Inn, Comanche, Texas. Rooms are large with a comfortable couch, coffee table, work desk and chair. TV offers lots of channels. I believe in supporting family owned businesses.
Very clean room and comfy bed. Staff was very friendly and checkout was fast. We haven't stayed in Best Western in some time but will reconsider. The hotel is convenient and easy to get to. No traffic noise.
Since we were unable to get a reservation for one of the better hotels in Brownwood due to Homecoming weekend at Howard Payne University, we chose to stay at this Best Western In Comanche since it was only about a 30-minute drive away. The room looked nice, had a great shower in the large bathroom, along with other nice amenities. We didn't have the breakfast as the golf tournament we were playing in offered breakfast, but what we saw others eating looked really good.
Unbeknownst to me I made reset ac Unbeknownst to me I made reservations thru a third party who stated I got a special rate on the room with the jetted tub of 89.00 and at check in that was not the case. I had to pay an extra 30.00. I was disappointed. ,
The staff was down to earth and the hotel was clean! A warm breakfast before getting on the road was nice... egg/sausage! It's nice having a variety of foods at breakfast. The hotel was a nice surprise in a small town and the front desk told us about the restaurant across road was a nice surprise.
The Best Western in Comanche, TX is the best place to stay in the area. While there are not too many other options, this is a pleasant place and clean. Good breakfasts. There is plenty of parking and convenient location.
A welcoming oasis of cleanliness, friendly service and value. Quality expected from the Best Western brand and lived up to expectations. Would recommend to others, although it is a bit off the beaten path.
We only stayed one night at the Comanche Inn but we really enjoyed it . The room was very nice and clean. The staff was nice and friendly and check in was easy. The breakfast was good, not a lot of choices but they had eggs and sausage along with breads and cereals.
The only thing I would change are the pillows. Not very big and quite uncomfortable was very glad I brought my own. Other than that it was great. The pool was nice and clean we had fun. Will definitely recommend .
Who would have guessed that such a gen was located in the middle of nowhere. We were pleasantly surprised and enjoyed our stay immensely we would definitely stay here again if we are ever in Texas again.
Ok hotel for the size of town. Newest hotel in town and clean surrounding. friendly staff and clean rooms . have stayed at this hotel many times in the past and have never had any problems. will be in the area again and this is my hotel of choice.
Best Western was a very nice hotel. I was a little leary due when we were getting closer to the hotel, due to town. Was really impressed with property and everything. Rooms were just as nice. We will be back.
This is a great place to stay. Looks like a new hotel. Very clean with a friendly staff. Would recommend to anyone. This hotel is set in a small big town to too far from Dallas/Ft. Worth area. Comanche has a nice little town square with an old court house in the center.
By far the best hotel in Comanche and a great value. The breakfast was very good, rooms were clean and comfortable, WIFI worked well. Overall, I was very satisfied and will stay here every time I visit relatives in the area.
I expected better from a Best Western Hotel. It began when we entered for check in - the clerk, Maizy, was busy digging through her purse (on the right side of the counter) for something among her cigarettes, the other clerk, who wore a vest and was in th emiddle of the counter), was talking on the phone. After a few minutes Maizy stuffed her items back in her purse, and moved over to the left side of the counter and finally stated "You can come over here". We checked in after 3pm for the two rooms that was booked, however, the 2nd room was not ready yet. We proceeded up to the room that was ready and we saw the room next to us (that was not ready yet) had a housekeeper in there talking on her phone. Then another housekeeper came to that room and they started chatting. About an hour later a staff member came to our room and told us that the next door room would be ready in about 15 minutes. The first room - King Suite - smelled moldy much like wet, stagnant carpet. There were cigarette burns in the shower curtain. The second room did not smell as bad, however, there was difficulty with the remote control. In both rooms there were old, rolls of toilet paper in the dispenser from the previous occupants - not new, fresh rolls. The gate to the pool was wide open on arrival. The breakfast was fair, the coffee was not fresh. Overall, I was clearly disappointed in cleanliness of our room as well as the lack of greeting at the front desk. We chose this particular hotel as we trusted the Best Western chain versus a smaller hotel. Would I stay at this Best Western again? Probably not.
The best western in Comanche TX is comfortable, inviting and very well kept. I thourougly enjoyed the pool and breakfast facilities. The room was large and cozy, and the cleaning staff were very professional.
Room was very clean. Bedding was great. Dish network for tv. Breakfast was good but same as others. Staff was very polite and helpful. Would stay here again. I already said it all. Writing more to meet 200 requirements.
Very clean and comfortable hotel with a great staff. klsdfnlkh';dmbkn;'lndg'k;mt'knthslk;nsfg'mnsdlkngs l;kgsfjofgwognw'oigjrwoirhtjniorthnoierbjhteroinjoibj lkahg;ojsnosjdfnvj;slkdfgnjosfgn;jbgnbg bus;nl;kbnsl'gffgmns self;lan
By far the nicest place in Comanche! As per usual, the staff were very courteous and always asking how they could help to make our stay better. Highly recommend this hotel for whatever brings you to Comanche.
Great hotel for business and pleasure. Will recommend to friends and family. Staff also very helpful. Breakfast excellent, plenty and very filling. Will continue using this hotel for my business trips and also when I am at other cities
My mom and I stayed here for a week to take care of some family business. She has a walker and always needs a handicap parking spot and it was nice that this hotel had several at both of their entrances. We asked for a room on the main floor so that she did not have to walk far and they accommodated us with a room that was easy access from both entrances. I really appreciated that. There is a daily breakfast that is equivalent to these types of hotels, make your own waffles, eggs, fresh fruit, oatmeal, yogurt to name a few. There is not a hot tub but a nice large pool, I swam in in it on several occasions. The beds were comfortable, there is a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. They also have a hair dryer and ironing board. My mom doesn't care for the daily cleaning service but housekeeping was kind to refill toiletries or whatever else we needed. Overall it was a nice stay and I do recommend this hotel when visiting Comanche.
Comfortable Clean rooms and facility. This Hotel provides a comfortable stay in an otherwise barren wasteland of an area in West Central Texas. I've stayed here several times and will continue to do so when I am working in the area.
I enjoyed my overnight stay. Everything was clean and roomy. The hotel was quiet. The parking lot was well lit, and I was able to park outside my room window which I always find comforting! The breakfast had many options and better than most hotels. For a town this size this was a pleasantly surprising stay. I would stay again next time I come through town.
I stay here a few times a year while my partner is visiting his Mom. The hotel has all the things I use- a recumbent bike in the fitness center, breakfast, and high-speed Internet. I suppose the cost is a bit higher than other places in Comanche, but the room and amenities are worth it. There are a couple of restaurants in walking distance, but I usually visit the grocery store before my partner drops me off and I keep supper in the room's fridge.
I was very pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It was clean and decorated very nicely. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. All the staff I interacted with were very nice. I highly recommend if traveling through the area.
This hotel is a great place to stay when you are in this area. We have stayed here many times and have never been disappointed. The staff is friendly and accommodating. It is clean and well kept. We would recommend this hotel for anyone wishing to stay one night or multiple nights. You will not be disappointed.
Our stay we excellent and the staff was very professional. We needed a vacation and decided to go to a local lake fishing and with the boat the staff insured we had parking and assisted with all our needs.
It was EXTREMELY clean, inside and out. The breakfast was wonderful, kept restocked often. Hot foods were kept HOT, cold foods cold. The staff were very gracious and always helpful! If you are in Comanche, TX you will be very comfortable there. We had a thunderstorm, yet didn't hear the thunder. The TV was new and functioned well as did everything else.
Several members of family had reservations and we were able to use lounge area for meetings and visiting. Everyone had a great time and enjoyed the open space. Other members of the family had stayed previously and said was best in area.
This nice motel in a small town has a friendly staff and good value. The roses are in full bloom, so the outside is really lovely. The manager, Sam, always greets us warmlyand lets us know we are welcome. We always have an excellent breakfast, and free newspaper. Also, it's close to a couple of good restaurants.
Considerably better than what I expected considering that rural location. Room was quite clean and in order. Overall this facility provides to be an exceptional value considering the quality of service provided considering the most reasonable price.
I only stayed one night at the Comanche Inn, but I would definitely stay there again. The room was modern and clean. The staff was friendly. They also had a complementary continental breakfast with good coffee.
Beautiful hotel but unlike most BW hotels we've stayed in - this property was pet UNFRIENDLY. We moved down the street to a clean but much lower quality facility that did accept our clean well behaved pet.
Excellent stay, very clean room - good a/c and HOT water. Breakfast buffet can use a little work - other than that xcellent stay, - Hot water, good a/c with comfortable bed. Room was surprisingly very large with large bathroom compared to other hotels in this category. Will stay here agin on my next trip to the Comanche area. and will stay there again. Convient location, reservation was taking care of as expected. Good Stay!!
This is our favorite stop. The beds are comfortable, the breakfast is good, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The manager, Sam, has been so good to us; he is the reason that we stay at Best Western wherever we are. Thanks, guys!
Hotel was well maintained and staff was friendly. So many times, there will be at least one light that does not work in a hotel room or the batteries in the remote are dead. Not the cause here. Everything worked perfectly.
For the affordable price, this hotel was more than I had hoped. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful (the night auditor was so nice!), the breakfast was delicious, and the rooms were huge. I'm biased, though - I've always loved BW beds! Everything was clean and spotless when we checked in, and the mini fridge was already cold. Rooms were quiet, too, and parking was abundant. Be careful, though, and drive in slowly - they have local kitties outside keeping the bugs at bay! We will be staying here again if we drive out that way in the future.
We stayed at this Best Western for 2 nights and it was a very nice stay. I was very worried about the beds for fear of the typical hard hotel bed but this was a wonderful, comfortable bed. I slept like I was at home. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I recommend this hotel to anyone.
We stayed here for a family member's graduation from Tarleton State University over a weekend. It was a very good option. Good price, comfortable and friendly staff (except for the front desk staff member who checked us out Sunday morning, not even a "good morning, how are you?" or a smile). The rest of the staff was great though. The rooms are a good size, we stayed in a king room. There's a pool for those interested. Convenient location a little outside of Stephenville for those who don't mind being a few miles out of the town. Free wifi, which is always great, and free breakfast. Free parking as well (for a city girl, that's always a plus!). Rooms on the first floor were just as quiet as if we were up one level (also a plus for this city girl who lives on the 22nd floor of a high-rise building that feels like its street level haha) Only a few negative comments... - While the rooms were generally clean, the blow-dryer docks (there are little blow-dryers in the bathrooms) were filthy and super dusty. Obviously hadn't been wiped down in a few weeks... was glad I brought my own. - Breakfast is a little lacking, especially since there aren't really any food options right near the hotel. Decent enough for a basic hotel breakfast. Coffee was GREAT though, so that made up for it! - The little luggage rack had a strap broken which was annoying but not enough to bring in a new one since we were only staying two nights and my bag was big enough to rest on the wooden pieces. Wasn't stable though and is an easy enough fix.
Hotel and Rooms were extremely clean. Cleaning staff very friendly and spoke English! Helped me get my luggage into my room (I was in a wheelchair) It's on the way out of town right after the bypass. I took a card and will stay here again even though it's above my budget. I wish they would keep the breakfast open until 10 am I missed it...sure would have put the cherry on top if I'd had breakfast.
Great Price, Beautiful Hotel. Breakfast was good with several choices including eggs, waffles, cereal and pastries. Breakfast room was spacious and clean. Hotel lobby and hallways were clean and neat.
Room clean, carpet stained. Bed comfortable, pillows uncomfortable. Breakfast pretty average but good. Bathroom clean. No bugs. Room deodorant had been used and was very strong...unpleasant odor smelled like a men's room urinal deodorant. Staff agreeable, but somewhat subdued and unenthusiastic. Manager a bit belligerent when questioned about double reservation cause...was only a question seeking cause and not accusation.
I had to find a hotel on short notice, in a small town, and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of hotel that this was, not to mention the price. Everything was fantastic from the look and feel of the room, the wifi worked great, and the continental breakfast had lots of options.
This feels like a new hotel all the rooms were accessed from the inside every where was clean and tidy as was the room . Very impressed with the TV. there was a small out door pool and an exe$rcise room. There was a free continental breakfast offered with do it yourself waffle's. The hotel is located at the end of a small country town. We ate at Rockin J's across the street, it's family style and well used by the locals. If you want alcohol you have to join a private club, $5 for a year. Would stay again.
The room was clean, and everything worked. Desk clerk was friendly, and professional. She was also a source of local knowledge when it came to finding a place to eat. The pool area was clean, and the pool was well maintained. I'll be staying there again if I'm in the area. It would be nice if this Best Western allowed pets like some I've stayed in.
This is the 2nd year I have stayed at the Best Western in Comanche for a family reunion. I do plan to stay there again next year. The staff is Awesome, the rooms are neat and clean and the area is quiet.
This is my hotel of choice when staying in central TX. Always clean, and always good service. Still a relatively new construction, which is also nice. I know that when I stay here, I'm going to have a consistent experience every time.
Stayed here while on a wine trip. Clean, very friendly staff, good price. Breakfast was good, basic. Rooms very tidy, clean, enough supplies. Internet good. Restaurant across the street. Easy access to major roads. Have stayed here before and will stay again!
Stay a lot at this hotel and always helpful and on the ball. Great place to lay your head and rest. You have a repeat customer with us. Thanks again for the safe place to lay your head. I just wish it was more reasonable.
The hotel is clean with a friendly accommodating staff. Came to town for a sudden funeral and the staff was kind enough to allow us to use the on-site meeting room to reminisce with old friends. The breakfast is good too. Very comfortable beds. A pleasant stay during trying circumstances.
The staff were friendly and the room clean. Breakfast was a little above average and enjoyable. Amenities were slightly below, I couldn't even buy a razor and had to travel to a convenience store. However I feel it's the best in town and overall would stay again.
This hotel was a wonderful find for us. It is fairly new and very, very nice in all aspects. We have family in the area who have limited room for guests. The price was very reasonable and having this option will allow us to visit more often. The breakfast was wonderful and everything was clean. Probably the nicest hotel within 50 miles.
While this 3 Diamond AAA Rated property and the amenities are impressive - large room with a couch and chair. I questioned the design of the room structure? Not that I believe it is unsafe by any means! At approximately 2:00 AM we had to call the front desk and ask them to please contact the occupiers of the room above us - we were in room #119 - to please stop the walked and stomping - was informed that while the room above us wasn't occupied the night manager would see if he could locate the source of the noise and quiet the situation. If he was able to locate the source - it didn't last long - continuing a most un-restful night. Breakfast was as good as any other hotel offering. Upon check out we were asked about our stay - and while we did praise the beds and the pillows along with the spacious rooms the un restful night and early morning phone call was shared - very apologetic for our experience and was offered additional points to our account. Still unsure as to the source of the what appeared to be either dance lessons or someone moving in and or out? If you choose to stay here - might ask for a second floor room as you can be sure that no one will be walking on your ceiling ...........at least I hope not?
I feel so comfortable at the Best western in Comanche, Tx. I grew up there and move away but I come back to visit old friends and see town again. The family that own/run the hotel or so friendly, makes feel I am at home with my family.
Me and my husband had a very good stay. The staff was nice and the room was clean and very nice. Never ate at their continental breakfast, so can not say if it was good or not. The only complaint I have is the handicap parking could be a little closer to the building
This is a good Best Western. The room was large, comfortable, and clean. Everything worked. The free breakfast was okay. The staff people were competent and friendly. We would stay there again if returning to the area.
We have been here before and the stay was nice as well as this last stay. However in the past we always had a fair amount of hand soap left in the bathroom. When we were leaving the desk clerk asked how everything was and I replied t was good except there was only one small thin soap at the sink to wash hands with and none in the bathtub. I said thats not very much especially for two people and she said that is all the leave. Just one piece of soap for two people to share for bath and hand washing. Just saying better bring some with you.
The staff and hotel was very nice, clean, friendly and great breakfast. The Texas waffles was a treat for the kids. I Always enjoy visiting Comanche now that they have a decent hotel to stay in. Thank you Best Western, loved the hotel.
If you're needing to go to the Comanche, Texas area, don't even consider other hotel options in town. Best Western is the best hotel in the city, by far. This new property was extremelyl nice and clean, the staff was professional, the rooms were spotless and comfortable, and the breakfast was hot and freshs. I won't stay anywhere else in Comanche.
I went to Comanche on business and found this hotel to be relatively new and well kept. The room was nice and comfortable. The breakfast was about average but good. I felt very secure during my stay. There are several choices of restaurants in town as well. I would definitely stay here again. Rates were very reasonable.
Everyone performed as expected. This is a little town, and this hotel can't employ an army of people and stay profitable. Sometimes you have to look around a little for a desk clerk, but they'll be there somewhere. It's as good as it gets in Comanche, and any traveler should be happy this much is available. It hasn't been for decades before. The condition of the facilities are effectively new, and they aren't stingy with breakfast offerings. There isn't much breakfast to choose from in the city, so be happy.
This Best Western is clean and comfortable. Excellent mattresses, friendly staff, and quiet rooms made for a good night's rest on a long trip. The breakfast was adequate and the coffee was good and strong.
I grew up in this town with as many as 4 independent operators having nice enough rooms but never a national brand. This new inn is the first the city has ever seen with a recognizable logo such as BW. It's all new, typical of today's roadside inn, and has all the expected amenities. BW has always been only a standards organization as they don't own anything, but claims to be world's largest chain. They do a good job at forcing their franchisees to keep the property up to standards, and leave the guest with assurances. I had to escort an elder to the hospital requiring an overnight stay. I was pleased with the property, and the rate, and the room was all I expect from BW. They had breakfast of sausage, scrambled something, and predictable breads, along with waffles. The inn is new enough to have designed in space for do-it-yourself breakfast, and it is comfortable. They have a little lounge area with only one business center computer. It has a big television, as do the guest rooms, and plenty of satellite dish choices on the menu. I'd say this is the best property the community has ever had, and I can recommend it for what it's designed to do. There's no food service, and the restaurants in the city are pretty slim pickings, but plenty of fast food choices. They offer soda and a limited snack machine on site, as well as generous ice. This was just an opportunity to see what the new kid in town is selling. If I return, and it's because I have knowledge of the lesser properties in town I'll likely take advantage of those savings. But, there's nothing wrong with this, and it's just a hunch that they are the only inn in town offering free breakfast. That's because the competing brands in town never had any dining space, or it's being used for something else, and they won't have any place to set up a buffet. My grandfather operated his business at this address for a couple years, thus the address is memorable. The building is next door now a realty outlet. But, it was kind of surreal standing at the same address as a family business that moved away in 1972. The building was not secure enough for high value merchandise, and he re-fitted a building on his home place and moved.
Very nice hotel with friendly staff; accessible to Brownsville; my son was playing in a Howard Payne University (HPU) sponsored baseball tournament. All hotel in the vicinity of HPU were booked and the Best Western 30 miles away satisfied all our needs especially the two Queen sized beds.
Very nice and comfortable stay. A good choice in the Comanche, TX. area. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very nice. The room was clean - all in all a great stay. If your in the area, you couldn't do better.
It was a surprise to find such a great place to stay in such a small town. We enjoyed our stay. It was clean, quiet and the staff was friendly and helpful. Should we get a chance to go back and see our friends we definitely know where to stay.
Top to bottom, a well run operation. Staff are extremely courteous. Rooms still smell new. Clean rooms and amenities. And the beds are excellent when it comes to comfort. Well located and close to some great places to eat. Very accessible. It was very quiet, considering there were plenty of other guests staying there.
We stayed here recently for a family reunion, and I was amazed that in a little out of the way town with a population of 4,000 that this hotel was as spic and span and roomy as it is. Obviously, it is not the Hilton; however, the entire hotel is very, very clean, the rooms large and spotless, the beds comfy and roomy, and the breakfast better than I was expecting. If I were making a complaint it would be that the wifi is a bit slow, and the breakfast is cleaned up promptly at 9:30 a.m. even on weekend mornings, whether people are still eating or not. I do think that is a bit extreme! Would we stay again? Absolutely!
