"Generally run down."
JTrag12, 16 Mars 2024

Overall unclean, lacked lighting in the room, and breakfast was out of food. The hotel is in a run down conditions and needs updating. Due to this it is not as clean as it should be. Additionally, not sufficient lighting in room. No lamp between beds to provide light in main area. Sink was very gross and stained. Cords were pulled up from carpet. Breakfast completely ran out of hot food during main time.

"Not a Great Hotel but the Staff Makes Up for a Lot"
yepperooni, 13 Mars 2024

It's not a great hotel, but the staff makes up for a lot. First the downside: the hotel is really old and dingy. The toilet paper dispenser is almost falling off the wall (I wish I'd taken a photo so I could've posted it) and the shower mechanism is so confusing to use that they have to place a small laminated instruction sheet right on the tub. But it was still so confusing that my wife, on our first night there, after coming back from a rigorous hike of Joshua Tree, couldn't get it working properly and basically bathed using the sink instead. On their website, they advertise that they have laundry facilities, but they don't have a change machine or driers and I don't think the washing machines have ever been used because they're really dusty inside. Something about the bed sheets made us both itchy too -- probably because the material is too rough or maybe they use too much bleach. On our second night, when we asked for towel replacements, the housekeeper basically just put a stack of towels on the ironing board in our room but didn't bother to take away the old towels, which we'd thrown on the floor (per the instructions on the bathroom wall). To get advice on our trip, I followed the advice of a travel blogger (Destination Daydreamer) and she mentioned how her family had a wonderful stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Twentnine Palms, but when I was looking at hotels, I chose this one, SureStay by Best Western, because it was $7/night cheaper. I wish I'd just paid the few extra dollars and stayed at the one she recommended. Okay, that was pretty negative. Now the upside: the hotel staff is really nice, friendly, and they try to be as helpful as possible. When I told one staff member that housekeeping didn't give us enough towels and tissue paper, he gladly gave me a new supply. When I talked to him about the laundry facilities, he apologized and gave me directions to a laundromat down the road. Another front desk person gave us her recommendations on places to eat. And the breakfast at this hotel was decent, but the woman who provides it had a smile, a hello, and a "Thank you for coming!" for everyone. She doesn't have to do that, so when you're leaving the hotel in the morning, it sure puts a smile on your face.

"Old and dirty"
Kim S, 20 Février 2024

This hotel IS close enough to the park, BUT it's constantly under renovation, dirty and old. It's a crap shoot with the rooms - some are better than others. Lightbulbs out? Check! Old towels? Check! No screen on the window? Check! Trash left in room from previous guest? Check!

"NOT WORTH A SINGLE DIME. VERY DIRTY."
JanaTropicana, 13 Février 2024

The problem with BW is no reliability straight across the board. Manager, Owner, etc. All can differ radically. This particular "SureStay" by BW is absolutely HORRIBLE. Took a half hour just to make our reservations worked because the manager was new with a "computer glitch" I am handicapped. I was exhausted, cold, in pain, So was our dog & my husband, who is driving the Moving Van. We finally were given a room in a section that was undergoing remodeling.I have never, ever called the Health Dept. when I should have, and this time, I am going to. No one has been up here in MONTHS! (Supposed to have an HC room). There was actually a line of dirty dust on the sheets right where the blanket folded over. Two towels only. No washcloths, no facecloths, nothing for the kitchen. The heater. Gross - the heater. Those old fashioned on the walls and by the windows, I usually take the filters out and wash them because they are filthy ALWAYS. However, this time, it was so gross I could not even lift anything out to clean because I did not want to stir it up, plus one filter was missing. When I called downstairs for more towels & linens, I was asked if we'd rather change room. NO, I WANT YOU TO HIRE MORE PEOPLE AND COME UP HERE AND DO IT YOURSELF!! Like a real hotel????? If you don't care about your towels, sheets, linens, or even clean air then by all means, spend a cheap night. Should have booked this one myself, Otherwise, avoid this place like the PLAGUE IS NO

"Yucca Valley Stay"
drivers092019, 10 Février 2024

I stay here every year and have found it to be very convenient between Palm Springs and Johnson Valley. Paula provided exceptional service despite a difficult situation with an ownership change. Thank you!

"Nice place to stay, good value"
Wynn20202024, 09 Janvier 2024

We stayed it a room with a kitchenette, the room was very spacious and clean, and we appreciated having a full size refrigerator, sink, and microwave. It also has a 2-burner cooktop and dishwasher. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The breakfast hours and food choices are also really good. The location is easy to find and not far from the Joshua Tree entrance. Definitely recommend you give this place a try, it's a good value for the quality of the property.

"Good value and very clean"
pennym9122024, 07 Janvier 2024

The staff here are really great and super friendly. The rooms are clean and the breakfast is hot, well stocked and the breakfast area is spotless. The towels are thin and some of the furniture has stains which is unfortunate as this is a good value hotel and great for midrange price travel.

"This place has really gone downhill"
DebbeeT, 01 Janvier 2024

Didn't get the room I reserved and the price was not adjusted. No sheet on the visibly soiled mattress on the pull out bed, which was missing a bolt and very difficult to use because of that. The mattress looked pretty old, it was only about three inches thick - it looked like that was due to age.

"Disappointed "
275janf, 28 Décembre 2023

We have stayed here before, but not since the ownership changed. There are little things that are not being maintained, like carpet stains, lights out in the room and dining area, missing coffee pot (probably broken and never replaced), and the in room refrigerator was not secured. Also it was winter and there was no extra blanket in the closet. Finally, the breakfast buffet was bagels, muffins, or biscuits and gravy. They said they hadn't received a delivery because of the holiday, but they should have planned better. The delivery the next day added eggs and bacon, but still no yogurt.

"Two Star Hotel at Best"
James B, 12 Décembre 2023

First, do NOT think this hotel is actually worth a 4.0 rating or 3-stars! It is more of a 2-star hotel at a 3-star price point. When we arrived mid-afternoon there were zero cars in the parking lot. It looked closed, actually. We did go inside, as we had reservations for 2 nights based on the posted ratings. The ONE plus were the associates manning the front desk, friendly and professional. We got our room believing the 4-star rating until we opened the door. Dirty, stained carpets, torn wallpaper in the bath, a broken hair dryer mount with plastic still on the hair dryer cord, thin scratchy towels and a poorly mounted fire detector in the ceiling. Seriously, there was NO pride of workmanship in evidence anywhere. The lobby Coke machine was empty and unplugged and was the ice machine on the 3rf floor. The free breakfast was adequate but no milk alternatives. Coffee was terrible. After staying here 2 nights it appears this is for working folks who just stay one night and go elsewhere. There are lots of nicer alternatives.

"Great experience"
donnakD8140YF, 23 Septembre 2023

After all the negative reviews I was hesitant to stay here. We had a very good experience. The room was very large with two queen beds, very well kept. They are doing some remodeling and updating. Employees are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great with bacon, scrambled eggs, fresh Danish pastries, cereal, Yogurt , and bananas. Everything was clean. There is a weight room also and it's convenient to downtown. I would definitely stay here again

"Two king + sofabed booked turned out unavailable"
laub1732, 29 Juillet 2023

We booked through offical bestwestern site a two king + sofabed suite and when getting into the room it was a one king room. Front desk told us it was not their fault and tried to charge us two rooms at same rate of the suite. Took 15minutes of discussion and in the end we had to pay the actual rate of a two double room as checked later on the bestwestern site. Staff was very unfriendly and only said our room had already been given to someone else and that was not their fault ? Rooms we ended up accepting were some of the dirtiest and seediest we had at bestwern venues (elite member)

"Will return"
inthedell, 17 Juillet 2023

Entire hotel staff was courteous, professional, and helpful. Clean room. Breakfast area was clean and food was replenished as necessary. Hotel grounds were very clean. When/if in Yucca Valley and require lodging, we will stay at the SureStay Plus By Best Western Yucca Valley Joshua Tree.

"Joshua Trees"
wthomas421nz, 17 Juillet 2023

For me this trip was a work trip and I really didn't have much time for anything else. I understand the Joshua Tree preserve is an interesting place to visit. I wish I could have spent more time exploring the desert.

"Don't stay here."
ckramer102023, 26 Juin 2023

Our room wasn't ready when we arrived at appointed check-in time. We waited nearly an hour in the lobby on worn, stained chairs next to a rickety worn coffee table. Our room smelled of mildew, old food and urine. The carpets were stained, the furniture was worn, there was only slightly warm water in the dingy shower and the television had static lines running through it continuously.

"Big surprise in a small town"
RANDY M, 15 Juin 2023

Great location right on the main highway. Friendly staff. Huge, clean room with the surprising bonus of a full kitchen (and I mean FULL kitchen with full-size refrigerator, microwave, cooktop, and dishwasher). The only issue we had was that the ice machine was down.

"Thank you Michelle"
toddw614, 06 Juin 2023

Michelle at the front desk is an absolute gem! She went above and beyond in sending our laptop back to us (we inadvertently left it at the hotel). Not only did she go out of her way to send it but she contacted me twice to give me an update on the package's progress. Thank you Michelle!!

"Clearly struggling with lack of staff"
W4625KXlaurar, 29 Décembre 2022

The hotel looked nice from the outside, with plenty of parking available. However, the hotel is clearly understaffed and should be operating with fewer rooms available than they currently are. We booked our room two days early but day of about an hour after check in time, while we were in Joshua tree, we get a voicemail that our room is not available due to overbooking. After many hours of searching for another room, calling the hotel, calling headquarters that told us our reservation was not cancelled, we get through and find they actually do have a room for our group of 3. After we check in and bring our things to our room on the 3rd floor, it is not the room I booked (two beds with kitchenette) and we get a replacement room with two beds although it is an ADA room. The room door was wide open when we arrived, the room smelled very weird, the fridge was missing and had a lot of stains on the floor. The blow dryer had hair and dust bunnies stuck in it and overall it did not feel quite clean… turns out front desk staff are also cleaning rooms which is why the front desk was largely unattended. Which groups of people above and around us were being very unreasonably loud until 1-2 am and we had called many times, we finally got through calling at 1 am that the noise was indeed above not next to us. The front desk staff person went up and solved the problem but many hours later because they were pulling double the work load. Hotel needs to reduce rooms available until proper staff is hired again, otherwise experience is less than pleasant especially for the cost. Breakfast was similar in that there was no water available in hotel, sliced bread was out and so was the cream cheese even though there were bagels. Overall, it was fine but they are clearly struggling and I wouldn't stay there again until better reviews start to appear again.

"Nice Staff for 1 Star - Everything else was terrible"
joedeanb, 29 Décembre 2022

It's crazy because I had just written a review about one of the better Best Westerns I had ever stayed in - only to come this one and have a completely opposite experience. We booked our room and received confirmation days before our actual stay. We were getting close to leave Joshua Tree National Park when a voicemail popped up on my wife's phone (spotty service). It was the hotel apologizing because they had over-booked and were canceling our room. Mind you, this is already AFTER check-in time. Multiple calls were made to the hotel with no answer when we decided to try Best Western's company reservation line. They answered, were super polite, and said they would try and reach the hotel. They did try. 3 different operators. None of them could get our hotel to pick up. The matter snowballs. The hotel never technically canceled our reservation on their end so the people on the phone couldn't even technically refund us our money at the time. We scramble and try to call every hotel within 25 miles and not a single one had available rooms (it's the week between Christmas and New Years and it's now 630pm so of course no one would). Eventually we do get through to the hotel, and tell us they don't have a room for us. We tell them we have tried every hotel in the area and nothing is open. We NEED this room. They put us on hold and then tell us they do in fact have a room for us - the original one we booked. We were waiting in line for dinner but decided we needed to drive the last half hour to get to our hotel before something else happens. We get there, everyone is polite, and we go up to our room. To our surprise, it only has 1 bed, and my wife and I were traveling with our friend who was visiting from a different country. They also still had charged us our original booking - for 2 beds. We go downstairs tell them we need 2 beds and to everyone's surprise, look, a room with 2 beds is also available. We walk up to our new room and the door is wide open. It's also an ADA room. As someone who works with children with disabilities we know how valuable a room like this is to someone who actually needs it. But the truth was we were scared we weren't going to get another room. We set down our bags and take a walk for some water because the ADA sink doesn't fit a water bottle under the spout. Nothing, no fountains or anything. Just an ice machine (but not even on our floor). We go to the Great Room (breakfast room)- a hot water spicket for tea only. Fine. We will just purchase water from a vending machine. Nope. Only cans of soda. There's also no microwave or fridge in our room (although fridge was listed in the booking). We only wanted the fridge to put our cold food storage in it. But as someone who has traveled with babies, fridges especially (and microwaves) are important for parenting an infant or young children. Fast forward to 11pm and we are trying to go to sleep. We call the front desk because there is some kind of party going on upstairs. After the first phone call and still lots of noise. we called 30 mins later. No answer. I walk down there and see a note that says they are cleaning the rooms. I write a note and leave it at the desk. (Depending on the impact of someone's disability, this could be a challenging or impossible thing to do). A few phone calls and 1am later they managed to “find” the room in question at which point things did get quieter. 6am, they're up again making a ton of noise, my guess, they were leaving. Whatever I will just go use the fitness room to blow off some steam. I get to it and look into the window. The room has 1 old elliptical a bike, and 1 hotel fitness machine. The window is also next to the elevator and the room is tiny, so just be prepared to have everyone stare at you as they're waiting for the elevator. Again, hopefully you can go without water during and after a workout because as I had mentioned, there is no water anywhere, including the fitness room. There's also no wipes, paper towels or regular towels to wipe down the equipment after use. But there IS hand sanitizer, so I guess not all is lost. Breakfast was meh, but honestly to be expected at most places so I can't knock them for that. There were gaps in available food (for example you could get a bagel but there wasn't any cream cheese left). Again, staffing was an issue so there wasn't anyone present to ask for things. Not the end of the world for us but if you're someone who has any type of food allergies, you may go hungry waiting to ask what's in something. Pros: -The staff are friendly -The room was clean, even if the door was open Cons: -Hotel canceled previous booking made days earlier because they claimed they were over booked and notified us AFTER check-in -Staff clearly don't know what they're doing -They were badly understaffed -Keeping with the desert theme there is no drinking water, even for purchase -Noisy neighbors -Fitness room is really just a weird peep show room (which maybe you could list as a pro if you're into that kind of thing), with nothing really to workout with or to clean the 3 pieces of equipment.

"Free hot breakfast is always a big win"
TimezoneTraveler84, 06 Décembre 2022

I travel a lot and this was the first time I went to a best westerns and first time I had a hot free breakfast in a long time it was a great surprise. Made my travel that more enjoyable during my business trip. Thank you Best Western

"Substandard Hotel"
Sightseer795880, 28 Novembre 2022

I have used Best Western in the past but not in this location and my experience has been pretty good. But my very recent visit (came back yesterday) to the Joshu Tree BW, was horrible. Room, particularly bathroom was dirty and quite old (shower set up is so weird, water don't get hot and pressure is low) . No hair dryer in the bathroom, asked several times they couldn't provide as they ran out. No blankets in the room (Cold and using heat in the room makes the air dry, so couldn't sleep at all the first night). Stayed 2 nights, my room never got done as the cleaning lady was short handed and per my insistence (had to locate her on my floor) just did my bathroom and left the trash behind. Breakfast was horrible, first day they literally had nothing and blamed on holiday (seriously ? ) you don't know people visit over the holiday and prepare. Second day they stocked but quality was just terrible , nasty egg (from carton) cheap bakery. They said the place is run privately , must be a cheap owner. Stay miles away from this place.

"SUBSTANDARD"
Quest59876651170, 27 Novembre 2022

Check in set the tone for our stay. The BW associate was disinterested & indifferent. The room was cold, the heater didn't work, no extra blankets, the bed was hard(not at all the standard we are accustomed to at BW hotels, dishes were left dirty in the drawer/cupboard, microwave didn't work, breakfast was absolutely substandard & staff was indifferent, dirty tables, ran out of food with 1.5 hours left in the breakfast offering window 2 days in a row. Blamed it on Thanksgiving weekend, low stock & understaffed, however Thanksgiving comes the same time every year …… absolutely poor planning & absolutely disgusted with lack of accountability. Also paid significantly more for each night than we paid the previous 6 nights at the BW in St George, Utah and received unparalleled treatment & value for our money.

"Stayed Thanksgiving night"
SteadyEddie1928, 26 Novembre 2022

Customer service, front desk and phone operator were excellent. Very nice, responded quickly. Pillows were too soft. They could have had extra blankets as it was very cold outside. Breakfast ok. Coffee should be better but ok. Hotel was full, surprisingly it was quiet.

"Not Nice!"
TravelSmart4u, 11 Novembre 2022

The bed was very uncomfortable, the shower was so difficult to use that they must have had complaints before as they had a directional placard - and it was hard to follow. The breakfast was the worse “free” hotel breakfast that I have ever had. Nasty tasting carton eggs, no meat products, pastries that looked like they had painted on frosting, and greasy deep fried potatoes.

"Good location but needs updating"
Isolde H, 06 Novembre 2022

We used the hotel as a base for 2 nights while exploring yucca Valley. On the plus side the staff are lovely and the breakfast is better than most similar hotels. Ideal for a 1 night stop over. We stayed in the larger king room with separate space for sofa. The entire room and bathroom would benefit from a deep clean. Brown carpet had lots of stains and headboard on bed had a number of tears not yet mended. The bed and sofa were both very comfy but the tiny pillows were awful. For a Best Western we were very disappointed with the toiletries. Only shampoo provided and no shower gel or hand lotion. Would stay again if we only needed a 1 night stay but nothing longer.

"Enroute From Canada to our desert home"
538allanr, 27 Octobre 2022

This is not the quality of hotel that we have come to expect from Best Western as a preferred member. The hotel has seen better days and is in need a complete renovation. Worn furniture, dirty carpets, ripped headboard, etc.

"Stay somewhere else"
wincht2022, 09 Octobre 2022

Dirty, smell, noise, apparently a 2 yr old made the bed, spa was broke and covered with a tarp with chairs holding it up, pool was cold, exercise room was hot. WiFi wouldn't hook up just go somewhere else

"Quick night stay"
Krr1975, 26 Septembre 2022

Stayed here for one night while in the area while visiting Joshua Tree National Park. Average hotel. Reasonably priced. Clean and good sized room. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Would stay here again.

"Poor value"
Go547716, 06 Septembre 2022

The room was quiet, that's where the pros end. It's dirty. The kitchen is not stocked with essentials. There was old food in the fridge and old coffee grounds in the maker. The toilet paper holder was broken in the bathroom and the toilet was constantly on the verge of overflowing/making weird noises. The headboard had peeling leather. The AC knob wouldn't turn and was held on by rubber bands. If you're staying here bring slippers because you won't want to be barefoot on the carpet.

"Kitchen you cant use!"
dspreadb, 30 Août 2022

We needed a kitchenet and it had no kitchen utensils. When we asked for, cups silver wear and pots and pans the front desk said we do do that and gave us extra coffee cups and told us to get plastic forks from the breakfast area. ALSO the hot tub has been broken and vending machine for quite some time now! the grounds look like a mess with rotten sandbags around the building and garden debris everywhere.

"Great place to stay -- Most of the Staff is fantastic"
ErinGR, 25 Août 2022

The breakfast staff do a phenomenal job - she was so positive and a bright light! But the best was the check-in guy named Matt -- he went above and beyond to answer our questions about the area, help us with some logistical problems with our jeep and a storage issue, and I noticed him helping another lady, she had a cane and Matt went out of his way to get her change for laundry. All 4 of us commented the beds were the best on the whole vacation. We didn't need the kitchenette but it was totally stocked -- this is a great hotel except for the pool area which is really sad and dirty and the spa is closed. One morning front desk worker was rude but the manager fixed her mistakes. But it was Matt who made it a 5 star experience -- he had a "can-do" attitude & made sure we had everything we needed, plus some! We can't stop telling people how much he helped us make our stay in Joshua Tree the best it could be. The hotel is next door to a great all-night authentic fast Mexican food, highly recommend!

"King kitchenette room"
PamJ886, 14 Août 2022

Stayed 9 nights in king with kitchenette. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Room was large. Room cleaning by 24hr request, but we were able to get clean towels (and anything else we needed) daily at desk. Shower head was terrible. I complained but it was not changed. Toilet ran about every 10 minutes but a/c fan kept sound covered overnight, so ignored it. Parking plentiful and breakfast typical. We will be returning in a few months and will stay here again.

"Extortion hotel"
ramirogonzalez2022, 31 Juillet 2022

When I originally checked in they charged me $139 including my pets and my fiance I came out here for work and when they seen what I did for work they told me I couldn't pay the credit card no more that it declined when I had just deposited $30,000 in there they asked for cash so I paid cash in the morning and then by 11:00 they were telling me I had to check out because I didn't make the payment so I'd go back and make another $200 payment sometimes $400 to catch up for what they said I didn't pay they sent me a receipt however somebody mistaken me printed me out the actual receipt from all my charges and when I received the receipt from them in the email it only shows a quarter of the charges which were the way it was supposed to look at 139 a night but on the receipt that they mistakenly friend me it shows me paint six to eight hundred dollars a night and they were charging my debit cards at the same time when they said they had declined be careful when you go to these hotels in yucca valley

"Stupid."
Monique F, 20 Juillet 2022

I am a rewards member and prepaid the hotel. Incompetent employee screwed it up and was not able to check us in. He called the boss who never responded to his call. We came in at 9pm, we waited patiently in your ugly lobby with it's awful wrestling show going on in the dining room, until we threatened to leave. He finally called an employee with a brain who told him to give us the keys and she fixed it in the morning. He was SO worried about getting in trouble, I AM A LOYALTY REWARDS MEMBER. Breakfast wasn't set up until after 6:30, no salsa, no hot sauce!? At least there was pancakes but the syrup came out like. Overall a WORSTwestern experience.

"BW hotel"
roglaredo, 03 Juillet 2022

Our stay at Best Western was very nice accommodating. The staff is friendly and professional. I would recommend this hotel. Of course their suite so you buy yourself food and cook it there oh and their pet friendly!

"Terrible"
P9668XMivann, 25 Mai 2022

If I could give this place zero stars that would be appropriate. I am transitioning from the Marine Corps after 28 years of service. Moving out of my house I needed somewhere for my family to spend the night. Looked on the website of this hotel nothing unusual booked the hotel. When my wife and children arrived my wife gave her drivers license to the attendant for verification purposes and was asked the question if she lived in yucca. My wife said yes we are in the process of moving. Than the attendant says we don't rent to locals. On the website it says nothing about not renting to locals. This establishment does not support the military or the veterans who've served. A total disgrace.

"Unfriendly, Old & Nasty"
lperry2022, 09 Mai 2022

Not sure how other hotels in the area measure up to this one, but this was not a pleasant experience. Waited a very long time to check in, old building, not friendly or helpful, did not mention you had to request room to be cleaned or did not point it out at check-in. Staff had an attitude, shower was attrocious with old faucets that did not work properly. Only had one type of pillow that was painful to sleep on. Dirty carpets. Low lighting. Good internet. That's it!

"I miss the Best Western of yesterday"
Kathy P, 02 Mai 2022

I have always thought of Best Western as an above average hotel and as I get older that is what I want, so I was very disappointed when I paid for an above average hotel and got mediocre at best. The beds were very comfortable but the room had dirty stained carpet and scuffed walls. The bathroom shower was so disgusting that I wore my flip flops into the shower and there was a hanger left on the floor which tells me that they did not sweep or mop the floor or move the handicap chair from the corner. The only saving grace was the absolute delightful staff. They were very personal and professional but I will not be back

"Worst Western Hotel - and I paid $300!"
KathyOhmygosh, 30 Avril 2022

Terrible accommodation, terrible service, terrible breakfast - it's better to sleep in your car. National park robbery. They are really taking advantage of tourists. It's better to sleep in your car. Awful!

"WORST. BED. EVER."
ProPhotoLA, 24 Avril 2022

Your basic Best Western, clean and quiet, BUT: the bed must have been a repurposed medieval torture device. Like sleeping on a sack of potatoes. No ac plugs or USB plugs on the desk, if that matters to you. When I complained to the front desk that the heat didn't work, her only suggestion was to give me an extra blanket. When I finally did get it to work, it was so noisy that I had to shut it off. No hot food for breakfast except pancakes, which were the worst ever — completely inedible. All this, and ridiculously expensive to boot.

"Traveling with a family of 5"
joshkatielancaster, 11 Avril 2022

This was a nice hotel for our family of 5, we all fit very comfortably in one of the suites. We had done a day trip to Joshua Tree National Park, and just stayed one night then headed on to our next destination. Breakfast was good, they had pancakes, eggs, bacon, biscuits & gravy, yogurt, fruit, bagels, etc. Rooms were clean and comfortable.

"Home away from home"
Sightsee41238106788, 08 Avril 2022

Had a wonderful 3 night stay with Best Western. Fantastic staff! Friendly and welcoming. Pet friendly. Front desk staff were so sweet to our little Bette. Conveniently located near Joshua Tree National Park and Pioneertown.

"Great Stay"
Feldmone, 08 Avril 2022

I was only here for one night but overall v pleased with the experience. I was there to see a concert at Pappy + Harriet's and chose this hotel because of the proximity (the band did too!). Anyway, the hotel is v well run, with the owner/operator onsite and a friendly staff there to assist. My room was quite large and everything was clean/working order and they even put out a small breakfast selection.

"Best Customer service"
G48565, 03 Avril 2022

Our stay started with the best, friendliest front desk check-in, they went out of their way at a very busy time to accommodate us to an early check in for granddaughters wedding to finish getting dress. Then they rooms were very spacious and clean. Definitely will stay here again.

"Staff Issues"
timman19, 29 Mars 2022

This is a hotel with a good location in Yucca Valley and close to one of the entrances to Joshua Tree National Park. I arrived at check-in time. It took a while to get my room as there was a line of people and one person on duty. I have Diamond Select status with Best Western and this was not even mentioned when I checked in nor was I offered the usual gift that comes with that status. I was also not even offered the express check out option. I went to my room as I always do before getting my belongings. I immediately discovered I was assigned a room that was for someone that was handicapped. The biggest issue I had was with the bathroom. It only had a tub and no shower head. It only had a hand held wand and the holder for that was not very high on the wall. In other words, it was impossible for me to take a shower. I went back to reception as the room I was given was certainly not what I reserved. The lady at front desk got me reassigned but it took her some time to do so. The new room assignment was fine. The room was larger than most hotel rooms. Some of the furniture was showing wear and tear. But, the room was clean as was the bathroom. Later that night, I was awakened by a phone call from the front desk. The man on the phone was confused by the change in room assignment. I had to explain to him what happened as apparently the lady that changed my room did not make appropriate notes. The call was at 11:45 p.m. and I was exhausted after driving all day to get there. I then had trouble getting back to sleep. The following morning, I went downstairs for breakfast. I discovered that this was grab and go but the former area used for breakfast could be used as a place to sit down and eat. There was not a lot to choose from so I decided to go elsewhere. I did notice that the person manning the front desk seemed annoyed every time someone asked for a breakfast item. I returned that afternoon to discover my room card key was not working. I also had all of my things from the car with me so I then had to carry everything downstairs to get this rectified. I understand this happens but the guy who had to fix it could have been nicer. He just grunted as I was apparently interrupting a video he was watching on his phone. I checked out the following morning and was handled by a lady who also had an indifferent attitude. I asked about the express checkout but my question was ignored. On the positive side, the hotel is in a good area and a short drive from plenty of places to eat. There was also ample parking even late at night. There are two buildings here and I was in the main one where reception is located. Obviously, this place has some issues with its staff. This is disappointing as the hotel itself is fine. But running into people with attitudes just puts a damper on things. It was also clear to me that the place is under-staffed and the employees it does have would rather be anywhere but there. So, overall I was disappointed with my stay due to the staff. Hopefully, this is rectified as the hotel would be a lot better off.

"Would Never Stay Here Again!"
erinjb2022, 27 Mars 2022

Expect to be waiting in line for at least 30-45 min to checkin at 3, during my wait I saw one person who had made a reservation at the other BW, one women had to get another room because there was no refrigerator in hers, one guy was handed his towels and soap at the counter because the cleaning crew was running behind. The main reason we stayed here was for laundry but although stated on the website and the phone, they don't have laundry services so we had to go to the laundromat down the street. There was leftover food from a previous guest in the refrigerator. The wifi was really bad. I regret staying here and would never stay here again.

"Horrible staff - don't stay here"
Arnold_shw, 27 Mars 2022

I'm writing to submit a complaint about best western in yucca valley, CA. The check in lady was not only rude, she threw the keys on the floor while checking me in. All I said was I'm going to write a review about my checkin process, as it was nearly 90F and there were atleast 2 dozen people waiting in line, outside the hotel. I have the picture of the time as well. Best western is a brand i trusted and used it for many years. But I'm disgusted that they have not trained their employees to be respectful to customers, especially in this time when hospitality industry is struggling during covid. I'm going to write about my experience on social media as well as warn my Friends and family to think twice before booking best western again.

"Clean room, rude staff, limited breakfast."
Robert L, 15 Mars 2022

Location is great to Joshua tree national forest. Room was clean. Sofa bed was terrible. Staff was extremely rude. Breakfast to go was very limited and not as advertised. Air conditioning did not work very well. Very poor service overall.

"Depressing place"
Curious51642402939, 05 Mars 2022

Staff our pretty unwelcoming. Breakfast has to be requested from reception then taken too your room as all the tables are stacked in breakfast room. Stay was noisy and could hear other guests tv at 5am. Shower didn't work and was given one had towel to dry yourself for 2 guests. Very poor

"No services and dirty room"
trmclean59, 14 Février 2022

Seemed like the front desk employee was the only one ( she was pleasant). Toilet plunger left outside our door and not picked up.Turning on shower had water going in every direction including up. impossible to not get entire bathroom wet. Toilet not clean when we got in room. Empty vending machines and no breakfast Sunday morning while chairs in breakfast area remained stacked

"Pretty good"
oc0072022, 07 Janvier 2022

The location was great! Close to Joshua Tree National Park, about a 15-20 min drive to the west entrance. Lots of eateries nearby, dog grooming, gas stations, and shopping close, too. I love the area! Check in was quick and easy. The room was very spacious for my husband and our two dogs. The room had a kitchenette, a large refrigerator and a microwave. I loved that the hotel was pet friendly. The room wasn't 100% cleaned, though. The phones were dirty and the chairs and carpet didn't look so great. But it wasn't really an issue. There is no specific pet area; however, there was an empty dirt lot across the street, so we just took them there. The walls are VERY thin. I could hear people coming in and out of the building, as well as walking around and talking. So that was a bummer. Overall it was an ok stay for 2 days only.

"No House keeping"
Coastal26603, 01 Janvier 2022

Reserved in suite with kitchenette. No dishwasher. No glasses for drinks. On top, even after requesting house keeping, no house keeping. Probably no guest had house keeping, hence lobby was cluttered with trash

"Don't stay here"
David H, 31 Décembre 2021

Horrible. We couldn't get towels for 3 days. Even when we directly asked housekeeping in the hall, we didn't get towels They ran out of breakfast at 7:30 when it's offered until 9 We had a dripping roof leak in our room and was offered a bucket

"Disappointing- will not stay here again."
Sandy W, 29 Décembre 2021

This is supposed to be the best hotel in Joshua Tree - NOT SO. We asked for a room on the top floor, at the back away from the road. The only room available (apparently??) was on 2nd floor, on the side nearest the road. It was SO noisy with trucks and through traffic all night so I had very little sleep. The room was OK-ish - no microwave at all. Stains on the chair, bed was comfortable though the sheets on the one side were very wrinkled, making me think they had not been changed from the last guest. There was one very thin blanket and no spare in the room. Had to ask for an extra one, no duvet either. The heating unit was extremely noisy too. The bathroom was cleanish though. Next morning, my husband went to get the breakfast in a box for us both at 8,25 am only to be told there are no boxes left . He said he would wait till two boxes be made up, only to be told by the clerk that she has no time. He said breakfast only finishes at 9 am, - she said they won't be done. All she gave him were two small plastic cups with orange juice. My husband was not happy, and said Best Western should pay for breakfast as we would have to buy some. No apology was offered at all, but eventually she agreed to refund $15 to our account !! Better than nothing I suppose but it did not cover the cost of a bought breakfast. I see another person - pollyw528 has said exactly the same thing about breakfast. We have been BW members for years, but we are rethinking our stays in future to better hotels. I do feel sorry for the hospitality staff in general, as the hotels are short staffed, and I am sure they are doing their best under difficult circumstances, but customer service and good attitudes go a long way. However, we will not stay at this hotel again.

"It will do in a pinch"
green_stripes, 29 Décembre 2021

This motel has issues including cleanliness and staffing. The complimentary breakfast was a frozen sausage sandwich that had to be defrosted by the guests huddled around a microwave in the lobby. I did appreciate being able to stay with my dog though.

"Terrible Customer Service and Poor HVAC"
pollyw528, 27 Décembre 2021

DO NOT STAY HERE. I chose this hotel based on reviews and the convenient location to Joshua Tree National Park. At check-in, there were signs all over about the mask requirement however, the clerk was not wearing a mask. The room was a little long in the tooth, but clean and the bed was comfortable. However, the bathroom was FREEZING and had no heat. The room's HVAC did not have a thermostat so there was no way to leave it on all night without overheating. The real kicker, though, was in the morning. I went down to get breakfast in a bag at 8:55 since it ended at 9:00. When I arrived at the front desk, the clerk was checking out another guest. When she finished with him, I asked for breakfast and was told that it ended at 9:00. I pointed out that I had been there since before 9:00, and that the breakfast was on a cart right behind her and was again told that it ended at 9:00 and to "have a nice day." As I headed back to the elevator, another customer said that she had denied him breakfast, too. When I received my survey from Best Western, I lodged these complaints, and received a very apologetic email, asking me to give them another chance but no actual restitution. I do not think I will ever be in the vicinity of Yucca Valley again, so therefore that is a useless offer. I asked to be reimbursed for my breakfast that I had to buy at Starbucks and did not receive any reply.

"Rooms felt dated but ok overall"
684melindac, 26 Décembre 2021

The good: Convenient hotel location for visiting Joshua Tree. Only about a 15 minute drive to the park entrance. Rooms were large and had plenty of space. Large selection of breakfast items available despite COVID restrictions - all the food was pre packaged and available for grab and go behind the front desk. The bad: The rooms definitely felt a little dated with old furniture and carpeting. Bedsheets we're clean but had some holes. Shower curtain smelled faintly of mildew. Overall, ok place to stay as a launch point for Joshua Tree, but needs some modernizing.

"Large, clean, comfortable room w/ awesome service!"
Linda B, 17 Décembre 2021

We stayed for 1 night in a room with a kitchenette. Checkin was efficient, the room was spacious and comfortable, and the front desk service was really great, so helpful. I'd stay here again any time!

"Great place to stay in Yucca Valley"
Pdxtender, 24 Novembre 2021

Finally made it to Yucca Valley. Picked this hotel based and the reviews. It was a great stay. I loved the 3 way lamps in the room. Plenty of room for our belongings. Stayed in a king suite with a pull out couch bed. My mistake, DD has outgrown the couch bed is awesome phase. She still slept fine on it. Coffee in room was not the best, but the lobby coffee was much better.

"Great Staff!"
rtilley2021, 17 Novembre 2021

My first time in Yucca Valley/Joshua Tree. The Front Desk staff (Rosie and Kayla) were exceptional. Very knowledgeable about the area and able to recommend great places to eat/visit. Hotel was clean and everyone I came into contact was polite and hospitable. Definitely recommend this hotel.

"Great value business/traveler hotel"
sharyl244, 07 Novembre 2021

I combined work with a music event I was attending, to get out of the house since I've been working remotely. I chose the hotel because they allowed pets, and had breakfast, a big help when I'm working. The room was great, spacious, comfortable, desk for work with outlet for charging. A great job with COVID safety protocols, really nice breakfast box to go set up, 24 hour coffee in the lobby. Unfortunately, my room fridge and coffeemaker had to be replaced so didn't have either, though the coffee in the lobby was very close. Really had wanted the fridge since there was a microwave in the lobby, and there aren't really food delivery options, which I don't mind! one of the things I love about the desert, simpler! and the AC was loud, also a needed repair, so I had to turn it off to do my Zoom work calls. Fortunately not too hot so it was ok. I also understand things are difficult still for hospitality, shortages, things take a long time. The only other down side was the rule that your dogs had to be with you at all times, which is just not reasonable. I have no problem with modest pet fees or a deposit, since plenty of people are terribly irresponsible about their pets. I only take mine because they are both small, trained, well behaved. Hoping for flexibility here now that they have met my dogs. There's a pool, and a business center which is open, fitness room not yet. Staff very nice and helpful. Overall great and good fit for my needs, as I'm looking for a base hotel for similar future trips when I prefer that over staying with friends for work.

"Great stay"
anhn100, 30 Octobre 2021

We greatly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Staff was friendly and the room was spacious. Close to stores and restaurants. Our room was in the corner so it was quiet. Hotel was accommodating with our dogs. They had a variety of cereal options, muffins, and egg sausage sandwiches for breakfast. Would highly recommend.

"Wedding"
roseann102021, 24 Octobre 2021

We were given an early check in with no problem. The room was very clean and large. The bed was firm, but comfortable. Wish the air conditioner got colder, but it was still nice and my husband would say it was cold enough. Check out was easy.

"Nice Room but not great customer service"
caridimmick1, 22 Octobre 2021

The room was nice, large & clean. They had good safety measures in place for Covid. The only thing lacking was availability of front desk employees. Whenever we would go in the lobby, there was not anyone at the front desk the 3-4 times we went in there and no one answered the phone or was available at check out time. Breakfast ran out quickly since it was grab and go and the ice machine was out of order in the second building.

"The for Steve"
denoth055, 01 Octobre 2021

Steve if he's not the manager he should be- he will help you and your needs in anyway possible and help you get anything for you and make sure is AWESOME !!! He always has a smile and willingness to help you.

"GERMAN COCKROACH"
651hotelr, 29 Septembre 2021

I'm not the reviewing type but this is so disgusting I had to do it. I've stayed here before with no issues (although there are no microwaves in the rooms, no outlets near the beds and very old-fashioned ac units), but my biggest issue this time was there was a roach in the bathroom. I tried to call the front desk to kill it and they did not answer the phone. I am TERRIFIED of cockroaches, and this was not an outdoor roach (it was a little german cockroach) so unfortunately this is unlikely to be a one-off. They probably have an infestation. If you can, stay somewhere else or bring a can of Raid with you. At least the front desk lady was wearing a mask, something that other hotels I've frequented in the past couple of months have not been requiring.

"Very Nice"
9801atx, 14 Septembre 2021

I enjoyed my two night stay here. They upgraded my to a kitchenette, even though I didn't ask for it and didn't use it, I was impressed by the kitchenette. Two microwaves, dishwasher and big refrigarator. The room was good sized, well appointed, clean and no issues with anything. (Except the floor lamp, but I waited until check out to bring it to their attention.) Excellent location for getting to anything, real close to the park entrance. They staff was great, no daily housekeeping because of Covid. The breakfast was limited to prepackaged items like cerial because of Covid also. Even though it's the most expensive in Yucca Valley, I would say it was worth it all things considered and would stay again the next time I'm in the area.

"Great place!!"
Tretab1904, 10 Août 2021

We had to take an emergency family trip to see someone who was sick. So already a negative situation, but staying at the Best Western was the best choice. We scheduled a reservation and got the room we requested, they had wonderful staff, they were attentive, room was clean with plenty of room for our guests, and check out was smooth.

"Nice & convenient stay for Joshua Tree Park visitors"
Ckampf123, 24 Juillet 2021

We came to visit Joshua Tree Park and the hotel was in a very convenient location for this purpose. the hotel was clean, the room size for our family of 5 excellent. My only suggestions: the front desk staff should be trained to have more knowledge about the main attractions of the area (Joshua Tree Park and Pioneertown), and bottled water in the rooms upon arrival would be great. However: we had a great time, Covid-limited breakfast was well organized, and we would repeat our stay again. Don't miss out on Pioneertown (15 min drive). The place is beautiful and the food at Pappy & Harriet's place (with live music) spectacular.

"You're better off camping"
guslanza, 13 Juillet 2021

You could feel every spring in the bed. There wasn't any blanket on the bed, just a couple of sheets with a hospital-style throw, the bathroom wasn't clean and there were some real plumbing issues. For instance I turned the sink on to wash my face one morning and very smelly sewage water began backing up into the sink. I will definitely never stay here again.

"Do not stay here if your a local, won't be treated fairly."
billsdiesel, 06 Juillet 2021

Staff was unfairly judgmental upon check in, than tried to be nice. Sad to see businesses in our local area behave like this. Will not say anything more, but we did not have a good experience at this location..

"Best Western - Joshua Tree"
tamaramoses93, 02 Juillet 2021

Good customer service. Rooms and kitchenette needs to be a little more cleaner. Microwave and fridge wasn't clean, ice machine on 2nd floor was not working. The rooms were a pretty good size for 2 people. I like the hotel due to it being dog friendly!! Overall stay was nice, was pretty quite.

"Not returning"
nancysmichaels, 18 Mai 2021

Easy to locate. Lumpy pillows and plastic liner in mattress was annoying.had to call desk on how to get shower head water and she explained and added everyone has the same issue. She was nice. Soda machine non operating and no water.

"Maint."
Y4340XVtiml, 16 Mai 2021

Brandon the Maint. man at the yucca valley best western came in on his day off to fix a broken door latch on my room. My wife is disabled and was stuck in the room and needed to see a doctor. He was very professional and through. I think he deserves a raise in pay for his work.

"Night from H...!!"
ltitus1, 04 Mai 2021

Bedsheets had dried blood on them, there were no bath towels provided, the main light switch was broken and the air conditioning unit was so loud it kept us up all night! We understand with Covid restrictions that you can't provide the usual breakfast, but if you provide a breakfast sandwich that needs to be wrapped in a paper towel to microwave, you should have paper towels available.

"Poor receptionist and service"
tsentaol, 10 Avril 2021

Receptionist lied to me about the room availability when I asked for a room; she said” unfortunately, all our room were booked out, you can try the Travelodge down the road.” However, I checked online there were rooms available and I booked one. I asked her why you said there is no room, she replied I could not see any room available because the rooms only could be booked on line. I stayed at room 321, the hot water was not hot and the air conditioner didn't work for warm. I didn't report them because I was so tired and didn't want to change a room.

"Worst western....Nikki needs a new career"
Jet593664, 05 Avril 2021

Nikki is not suited for a customer service position. She is rude, snide and downright hateful. Will not let guests check in even 5 minutes early but gladly leaves her replacement with at least 50 angry guests in line for check in. A terrible representative for this property. The hotel was fine. Served it's purpose just everything was closed due to Covid. No vending either.

"Rude Staff"
travellas5, 05 Avril 2021

I was here for a wedding and this hotel was the only negative part of my experience. Staff was extremely rude to myself and others, so much so it was a talking point for all of the wedding guests. I knew this wasn't going to be the nicest place when we found only one full sized hotel in our bathroom even though our room was for 2 people, but I didn't expect such unhelpful staff members. It seemed to be the work culture rather than just one or two people having a bad day. Will never stay here again and would not recommend this place to anyone.

"Basic hotel, no amenities"
maxnicetrip, 01 Avril 2021

I would rate this as a below average Best Western. They are still in extreme covid mode, at this point I think they are just cutting costs. Lack of amenities and we felt like prisoners in our room, there is absolutely nothing to see or do at this hotel. If the price was 20% less the experience would be justified by the price, however you can stay at a Best Western Plus with full amenities for the same price as this one. Here are some notes I took about the stay: Main entrance on street difficult to access and turn into. Transparent window shade, no curtain. Glowing light at night and sun coming through window in morning. No microwave. Coffee maker in bathroom (possibly missing desk in room?). Expired milk in morning (Exp March 23, Date of stay Mar 27). Covid related practices - Soda and ice machines turned off. Pool and hot tub closed. Gym closed. No complimentary coffee or juice in lobby area. Extra long lines at the front desk and to take the elevator. Positives: The room was large.

"No frills hotel, good enough the night before visiting Joshua Tree Nat'l Park. Read on for the pros and cons."
dwfr, 31 Mars 2021

We stayed here the night before visiting Joshua Tree National Park. The price was right, although it's definitely a no frills hotel, but good enough for one or two nights. PROS: Free parking. Pleasant staff. Adhering to Covid measures like mask wearing, screens in front of reception, 1 party in elevator, Grab-and-Go breakfast bags. Basic room with warm brown/neutral colors. Long mirror, desk, safe, alarm clock, basic toiletries in room. (Shampoo/soap, no lotion). Grab-and-Go breakfast bag provided -- you tell the front clerk what you'd like and they put it in the bag. It included items like a choice of cold cereal and milk, yogurt, pastry, piece of fruit, granola bar, water. A hot item was available. No hot drinks. Restaurants nearby. Well priced. Contactless check-out CONS: Heating/cooling unit under window was noisy. We turned it off during the night. Not enough spare plugs, no USB ports. The alarm clock was an hour off -- it hadn't been changed since the recent DST change the weekend before. We could hear people talk at normal levels through the walls and doors slam. Room was clean, but not 'sparkling' clean, no 'Door seal' or anything. I went around with a wet wipe for good measure, particularly since it was during Covid. One set of thin towels Bed pillows and linens were subpar. I would have liked an extra blanket on the bed, but one wasn't provided. Our pleather headboard was scratched up/peeling/torn. Smaller flat screen TV a long way from the bed. They're doing their best with the Grab-and-Go breakfast, but I would have preferred some healthier options. Less sugar! When we arrived, the ambulance and fire brigade arrived, apparently due to a call about someone OD-ing at the hotel. Immediately after that, we saw a woman in the parking lot yelling and swearing into a cell phone and then throwing it on the ground and stomping on it. That didn't put out a good first impression, but our stay was OK. We ate dinner at a nearby Kebab restaurant and got coffee and tea near Joshua Tree National Park after checking out. Click the thank button if you found this useful. Thank you. :)

"Average"
mrkmedina1, 18 Mars 2021

Pros- Good size bed and breakfast available Cons- Staff is split. Half are helpful and half are a little stand off. Got moved w/o any prior communication. Bathroom smelled funky due to chemical cleaner

"Plastic sheets"
timlN4919MB, 15 Mars 2021

I haven't had plastic sheets since I was two years old. They also forgot to put any type of insulation in the walls, prepare to hear your neighbors. We listened to a three year old all night. In room coffee maker was really poor, I rarely use one but had to leave early and this place doesn't wake up until 6 AM.

"worst Best Western"
donsR8338YG, 15 Mars 2021

I regularly stay ar Best Westerns over the country. i stay over 40 nights a year. First 2 times i stayed in Yucca Valley no problems. last two time it went from bad to worse. last time i requested early check in told no problem. my room was not ready until 4 pm. regular check in is 2 pm. this time my stay was 4 days. got there late early morning and found my reservation cancelled for entire trip and credit card charged for all 4 days. they refused to let me and my wife stay. my wife travels on business with me. I was told they would resolve in 3 to 5 business days. that works grear for me with most hotels in the area sold.out. last time ever I stay at this Best Western. i will drive the extra 20 miles next time to the other Best Western

"What a disappointment!"
CharleyandMe, 06 Mars 2021

What a disappointment it was staying here after enjoying two nights at the BW Date Tree in Indio! We moved to this hotel since it's closer to the entrance of Joshua Tree, but we missed the good service, nice grab and go breakfast, and clean/bright rooms in Indio. The crazy thing is, we paid more money for this BW, so I was expecting something nicer, but it was worse! I would've rather stayed in the smaller 2 Queen bed in Indio. My family of 5 plus 1 dog stayed in a 3 Queen suite plus kitchenette. There were no pots to use the stove, so I went to the front desk which was located in the main building to borrow one. The pool and spa at this location were closed but we never would've used them anyway, as they were tiny and it was super cold and windy outside. We stayed in the building that's next to the pool, and it felt like we were the only ones in the building. (There were other guests, however, as we saw one enter the elevator. ) The automatic door did not work, and you had to manually open and close it. The girl at check-in was very unfriendly. I asked about the local area, and she gave me a look like, "Duh, why are you asking me?" The lady that worked the shift after her, however, was very friendly and nice. There was no grass or designated areas for our 11 year old Golden Retriever to relieve himself. Yes, dogs can go anywhere, and he did; but I am just mentioning this because BW Date Tree had several nice grassy areas for dogs. Unlike the BW Date Tree, the hotel management at BW Joshua Tree is clearly skimping. The buildings were not well lit and gave an eerie feeling to the place, and the property is not well-kept. The grab and go breakfast was also subpar compared to BW Date Tree. It seemed like they were trying to save money by only giving us what the front desk could store in a tiny fridge for a long time: muffins, Nutrigrain bars, an apple OR orange, and a bottle of water. No yogurt, milk, bananas...nothing that had a shorter shelf life. I only point these things out because they were provided at a different BW branded hotel. I understand some of these decisions were based on being in the middle of a pandemic, but it's hard not to compare the two properties when the quality was so different. This place leaves much to be desired, and the management needs to pay more attention. We definitely won't be back. Next time we're in the area, we'll go to the BW Date Tree AND save money since it's cheaper.

"Allows pets, rude service, very loud"
Kelsy1432, 02 Mars 2021

Very rude clerk at check in. Dogs were barking loudly, the hotel guests were also very loud. But, they did allow my dog.. although he was pacing all night due to high noise. I was surprised at how much we could actually hear.

"Great Getaway During the Coronovirus"
Journey43099, 27 Janvier 2021

Travelling during the Coronavirus can be a challenge. But the staff at this Best Western were excellent and went out of their way to make our visit a really great one. Everyone was very friendly, especially to our 2 dogs.

"Great Hotel for the area!"
anthonysC4432UK, 20 Janvier 2021

My family and I would stay here again when traveling up in these parts! We were in for a photoshoot at Joshua Tree which was 30 mins away from our Hotel. It's center to most main shopping areas and restaurants, which was a bonus.

"Really Dissapointing"
Chimpnado, 04 Janvier 2021

For the price (relative to other hotels in the area) I was expecting more. Trash cans in front of the hotel were overflowing, ice machine was broken, towels in the room had stains!, bed was uncomfortable with cheap linens, no glasses in the kitchen cabinet. A complaint to the front desk didn't garner a call back from the manager. I'm not expecting the Four Seasons, but room was easily $50 more than other lodging in the area and I definitely expected more than this...

"Dog day afternoon"
edwardl540, 04 Janvier 2021

The worst stay I've had at a BW. Being a gold member I expect a little more from where we stay. Dogs are allowed here and they are ruining the place. Carpets stained and smell. I saw 1 couple bring in 4 dogs up the stairway into their room. I get that It's covid and some things might be different but should be CLEAN!

For me personally, the staff were kind and welcoming. the distance between the national park and the grocery stores are pretty close to the hotel. The rooms were neat and tidy loved the kitchen. Comfortable

"A lot went wrong..."
stephm20172020, 23 Décembre 2020

It is very close to the park entrance and there are plenty of grocery stores and restaurants around. Olivia was very kind at the front desk. The toilet clogged twice within 5 min of arrival, the TV remote only worked if you stood right in front of the TV. I was told by phone I would receive a 2 room suite with 2 beds in each room but we were short a bed. Trash was never picked up even though we left it outside as told. We left a day early and that last night was nonrefundable.

"Very comfortable and clean"
Verona f, 18 Décembre 2020

My family and I had a suite. The suite was very clean. Beds were comfortable. Although there was a kitchenette, we didn't cook, as our stay was just one night. We did use the microwave. The heaters worked very well. We didn't get the breakfast either, so I can't comment on that.

"Not so great"
Jean P, 06 Décembre 2020

Check in staff was not cordial, almost unpleasant, uninformed about BW promotion, unhelpful. Hotel is nice enough; rooms are kind of blah. Pillows are wonderful but shower was awful. Handheld thing was clogged, didn't work; shower not possible.

"Great Hotel to Stay when visiting Joshua Tree"
NPpassholder, 27 Novembre 2020

We were looking for a pet friendly hotel near Joshua Tree and this was a perfect hotel. It's about a 15 min drive to the park. The rooms were clean. We were only expecting a two queen bed room but got offered a mini suite (two rooms - one room had 2 queen beds and one room had 1 queen bed). The kitchen was fully stocked with a regular fridge, microwave, dishwasher, stove and sink. It also had silverware and plates. This was great because we were able to buy food and store which we needed because we would be out in Joshua tree for the whole day. The pool and gym were closed due to Covid. Parking was free. We felt that the hotel exceeded our expectations during the pandemic.

"Great Value and close to everything "
lorindajo, 22 Novembre 2020

We stayed here so we could visit family. We were very pleased with the location. What really made our stay perfect was Nicky. She checked us in and from the moment we walked up she was so pleasant and nice. I have traveled slot and to me this top notch customer service makes for the best experience. Thank you Nicky for being so friendly and approachable. We appreciate you and will be back.

"Predictably good!"
SallyM265, 17 Novembre 2020

I have been staying at this Best Western on my visits to Joshua Tree and surrounding areas for years now and it is always good. Front desk staff is always helpful and friendly. Every time. So great! Now, with Covid, they are being extra careful - including plexiglass at the front desk, hand sanitizer available in the lobby. Elevator limit is 1 person. I took the stairs up to the second floor. Room was very clean. They were able to accommodate my request for an in-room fridge as well as a late check out, so that I could take a business call in the morning. They provided a nice bagged breakfast to go, with yogurt, a granola bar and a couple of tangerines, as well as coffee and water. Works for me! I hope this place keeps doing what they have been doing, because it is definitely my "go-to" hotel in the high desert. Can't wait for my next visit!

"Business stay"
leomedsker, 07 Novembre 2020

Nice staff and good room. Hotel property is kept up well. Close to many food locations. The only drawback was the driveway entrance. At first hard to distinguish from driveway to restaurant next door.

"Comfortable retreat"
SoCalBagLady, 05 Novembre 2020

We appreciate the quick service at checkin & checkout, and the Covid capacity & vacancy between occupancy guidelines. The rooms are surprisingly quiet, although close to the “main drag” through town. We ordered breakfast from John's Diner just down the street, which was good breakfast. Lunch & dinner, too! Hookah Lounge is another amazing eatery close.

"Decent place to stay"
mreed670, 08 Juillet 2020

I had an overall good experience. The rooms were nice for the price. The kitchenettes are definitely a great addition. And this hotel was pet friendly, which was an absolute must for this trip. If I would say anything negative, it would be that the ice machine was on the 3rd floor and was broken. They should have put a sign telling us that on the 1st floor so we didn't waste our time.

"Check out this Gem in the High Desert"
Nomad44656454551, 11 Juin 2020

This is one if the VERY BEST Best Westerns I have stayed in. Super Clean, located near shopping and restaurants, close to Joshua Tree National Park and the Coachella Valley. Awesome staff! I loved it!

"Black mold"
61dustinm, 08 Mai 2020

The toilet seat had mold all over it. Best Western obviously did not clean their rooms or sanitize the hotel before opening up during a pandemic. They gave me 6 dollars off my bill.Black mold is deadly. I will never stay at a best western again .Unexceptable and management should have paid me to stay there.

"Lack of cleanliness was an issue."
BlueV_11, 25 Avril 2020

They keep the coffee machine, cups and utensils in the bathroom across from the toilet (see photo). Why on earth would they do that? Everyone with any sense knows you're not supposed to eat or drink where you poop. Everyone with any sense knows that flushing a toilet launches urine and feces particles into the air, therefore it's probably not a good idea to keep the coffee machine, cups and utensils in the bathroom. The remote control was found in a sleeve printed with the words “fresh remote” (and an odd recycling symbol), implying that the remote was sanitized. (Some places do sanitize the remotes, supposedly.) However, the sleeve was found with stains on the front and back (see photos), probably a good indication that they do not in fact sanitize the remotes. I mean, if they want to mislead their guests into thinking the remotes are sanitized, why not at least put them in “fresh remote” sleeves that don't look dirty? The complimentary toiletries did not appear to be new or clean (see how the bottle in the photo looks dirty). The shower did not work. Water ran through the tub spout, but the mechanism to divert the water to the shower head was broken. In that case, it was a good thing that the coffee cups were within reach in the bathroom because they were useful in creating a makeshift shower. Not that this is uncommon across hotels, but it is noisy. You can clearly hear people talking and coughing through the walls. A woman had a coughing fit, and a man could clearly be heard asking her if she would like some water. Nice to hear that your neighbors have such a great relationship. And the pool is not heated.

"Awesome staff but ..."
djpatrickkevin, 01 Avril 2020

Check in was very quick and easy, the staff was very informative and polite. The jacuzzi in my room was broken and I was told there were no more of them available, despite the fact that there were only two guests in the entire hotel. However, abot ten minutes later I got a call that he had found one but it was an accessible room. I ended up moving there. Othetr than that, there were no problems at all. The place could use an update, it's a sea of brown and beige, and in some spaces looks rather dull. I would recmmend this place though. Very clean, and the price was decent

"Clean and Comfortable"
Don F, 28 Mars 2020

We stayed here during the initial phase of the Coronavirus outbreak so it was very quiet, however under normal circumstances I would expect it to be reasonably quiet as one of the two buildings is set back from the highway and the speed limit on the highway is moderate. The rooms are large with good amenities (kitchenette, refrigerator) and the staff was extraordinary in their efforts to ensure our comfort.

"Beautiful property and staff"
elmer9388, 21 Mars 2020

My stay was for business, the property and the staff were a delight. Our stay was during the covid19 pandemic and the staff took many precautions to keep the guests safe without it being an inconvenience will be staying here again

"Best hotel in Yucca Valley"
krobbins11, 17 Mars 2020

Rooms are large, clean and very well furnished. We have stayed here before and would stay again. Everything in this hotel well-maintained. Good mattress. Above average breakfast buffet with delicious biscuits. An easy drive to Joshua Tree National Park

"It's cozy"
robjrbigrob1, 10 Mars 2020

It was very relaxing Love staying at this motel when visiting family The Room was very clean and my stay was very quiet The staff was very polite and helping then to top it off the continental breakfast was pretty awesome

"Amazing Service"
purplepal1953, 02 Mars 2020

traveling for Celebration of life for brother. All service from team and rooms were amazing. Let about 50 family members use the dining room to gather. Friendly staff and very clean rooms and dining area. I will recomend BW to all.

"Great place to stay!"
pcillagordon, 26 Février 2020

Friendly staff, comfy bed, clean room, nice and clean bathroom with great shower pressure. Very quiet so I was able to get a good night sleep. I would most definitely recommend this hotel for anyone staying in the area.

"Nice hotel"
Duke1208, 04 Février 2020

Great place to stay, rooms are clean and comfortable. And breakfast was delicious. Staff was awesome Very helpful. Check in and check out was a breeze. For the first time the internet worked great no problem logging in and out!!

"An amazing place to stay - worth the additional cash."
JonnyPink, 01 Février 2020

There are less expensive places there, but you will get what you pay for. Best Westerns are always clean, and have great service. This one is close to the entrance into the park so getting out there for the sunrise or back to rest for bit before heading out exploring again is easy. Will be staying there again and again - maybe use the pool next time too.

"Happy stay"
nickbasler, 19 Janvier 2020

Property was very clean and safe. Everything was in good working order and the staff was very friendly. The location is convenient to Joshua Tree and 29 Palms. There were plenty of good restaurants in the area.

"2-night stay near Joshua Tree"
P M, 17 Janvier 2020

This was generally a good stay. The room was clean and bedding comfortable. Plenty of pillows. I would have liked a heavier or additional blanket in the room though; also note that they seem to use some sort of plastic mattress protector that crinkles when you move around and sleeps hot. The remote for the TV was in a "fresh remote" sleeve, I hope indicating that they had actually cleaned it between stays. The hotel was pretty quiet, without much noise filtering into the room. I did request the top floor, so that always helps. The breakfast was plentiful, but pretty basic for a free breakfast. One major issue for me was that the safe in the room didn't work. I've used room safes before and never had any problem, but just could NOT get this to work. They sent someone to the room with a hand-held programmer to try to fix it , but still didn't work. I ended up leaving my laptop at the front desk when we went out for the day. They did try to resolve this, but in my opinion should have been able to do so. Another odd thing is that the bathroom door opens INTO the room instead of into the bathroom and it wouldn't stay open, so I had to prop it open with a towel on the floor. The BEST thing though is the shower, with a chest-high body spray that about blasts you through the wall! SO refreshing and invigorating. I've not seen one of those in a hotel before!

"A hidden gem!"
Jackie C, 17 Janvier 2020

This was a wonderful hotel. It is close to where you need to be but not on the main roads. It was quiet and is well taken care of. The breakfast was delicious, fresh and not pre-made. I strongly recommend this hotel.

"Clean and close to Joshua Tree"
charliespal2, 08 Janvier 2020

This is a fair priced hotel about 10 minutes from the Joshua Tree Park entrance. The only problem with the room was the the heating did not work well and they brought us extra blankets, which worked find for the one night we were there. Breakfast is included but it is the usual combination of continental breakfast, scrambled eggs and breakfast meat (buffet style). A convenient place to stay if you are going to Joshua Tree Park.

"Clean but HARD beds"
Searchin4Vacays, 06 Janvier 2020

Super clean and in a convenient location. Staff was nice and hubby said breakfast was decent. But the beds were terrible! We had a king junior suite with the hide-a-bed and that thing was all coils and springs! We closed it and one slept on the couch with three of us (two kids) in the big bed but the big bed was so hard, I couldn't sleep and was up most of the night. If you like a hard bed, you'd be fine and the place was VERY clean!

"Convenient Location near the Park and Pleasant Stay"
emme150, 02 Janvier 2020

The hotel selection near Joshua Tree National Park is minimal. The Best Western is conveniently located, about 11 miles from the Western Entrance, so we chose it over the others. The hotel has 2 separate buildings. Luckily we were in the main building that had the kitchen and lobby, which was a plus since there was a snow storm during our stay. We had a king bed room on the 3rd floor, with a nice view of the mountains. The room was clean and large enough to move around easily. The complimentary breakfast had hot and cold foods including eggs, breads, cereal, etc. The staff kept it stocked during the breakfast hours with the hotel being full for the holiday. There are restaurants close by for other meals. All in all, a pleasant stay while visiting the snowy park.

"Ho Hum but convenient to Joshua Tree"
smokymtndeb, 29 Décembre 2019

Check in was weird. I'm not sure if I had a new person or what the issue was, but she was very distracted. My room was a kitchenette in their annex building. The first thing I noticed when I entered the building was that the security door was broken and that meant anyone could enter the building with access to all of the rooms/elevator. When I got to my room, there was a very distinct cigarette smell/odor. I called the front desk and they asked me to return to the front desk. No other rooms were available due to being sold out. The gal who had originally checked me in told me she would put a note on my reservation that I had not smoked in the room. I went back to my original room and you could tell that someone had come into the room and sprayed perfume or something. The odor was still very much there!! Breakfast was fine. Check out was awful. The girl at check out asked me how my stay was. I told her she should look at the notes on my reservation. She advised me that there were no notes at all. Another girl then came out of the back office and said she was aware of my situation and offered to take $10 off of the room. I just said OK because I didn't want to fool with this any longer. I told her I expected a little bit better treatment since I was a Diamond Member and they, for some reason, didn't even realize I was a Diamond Member. NO, I will not stay here again. And now I'm limited to 1500 characters. Cannot even tell the whole experience.

"GREAT STAFF AND LOCATION"
Jason R, 22 Décembre 2019

The hotel staff here is very helpful and the hotel is conveniently located in Yucca Valley close to Joshua Tree. Tip: opt for the larger kitchenette rooms in the south building. Breakfast is provided, nothing gourmet to be sure, but does the job. Rooms were plain, but clean, and good internet.

"Great Stay"
mikestori, 09 Décembre 2019

My wife and I had a great stay at the Best Western Joshua Tree Hotel & Suites the week of December 2nd. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast are was kept clean and the food was refilled on a timely basis. The food was good as well.

"Good Option for Visiting Joshua Tree"
asl492, 01 Décembre 2019

Stayed here for just one night on Veteran's Day Weekend. Well located property just a few miles from the Joshua Tree National Park entrance. Didn't spend much time here but the check-in experience was pleasant and I had nice room on the second floor. The room was of a decent size for a single traveler and was very clean, comfortable and well-maintained. As with most Best Westerns, the decor was unremarkable but I wasn't expecting anything special in that regard. No real complaints. The breakfast room was next to the check-in area and had the usual assortment of continental breakfast items. Overall, I was pleased with everything and would stay here again. If you do decide to visit Joshua Tree, definitely stay in Yucca Valley rather than Twenty-Nine Palms. The former is a much nicer town with more amenities.

"Great Best Western to stay at"

Great staff super helpful, the rooms are clean smell fresh, the front desk people are so nice and so helpful. The people that put on the breakfast in The Breakfast group are nice caring polite and constantly cleaning up to sure you have a great breakfast

"Free night in Fall promotion"
suzieNorthumberland, 03 Novembre 2019

We booked our free night at the BW Yucca Valley and were given a large room with fully equipped kitchenette (except no kettle and no toaster) with massive fridge freezer. The room was clean but dated. Breakfast was standard - we really don't like all the single use plastic offered at so many places. The room (139) was quiet once we had turned off the fridge freezer. The location was good for visiting Joshua Tree NP on our way down to Palm Springs. Would normally give a rating of 4 but the Fall promotion worked well for us and, as the night was free, have uprated to excellent.

"Great Hotel"
annjeanettemartin, 28 Octobre 2019

We were taken very good care of after a bad experience down the street. The room was Very roomy, clean and welcoming! I would definitely recommend this Hotel to Family and Friends. Worth every penny we Paid!

"Perfect hotel for the Joshua Tree visit"
Thomasero, 28 Octobre 2019

Visited hotel for one nigh on our way from Palm Springs to Joshua Tree NP. We ordered suite with extra bed for our four member family. That sofa bed was quite small. As result we were given free upgrade to two bedroom. What a great service. We will definitely return.

"Great hotel for visiting Joshua Tree National Park"
Jacqui H, 24 Octobre 2019

We stayed for three nights while visiting Joshua Tree NP while on our road trip. On checking in we found the receptionist to be welcoming and very helpful. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was pretty standard Best Western fare, OK but nothing to get too excited over. Our overall experience was very good and we would definitely stay here again if we pass this way again.

Easy check in, friendly staff honored our request for a 1st floor room. Room was clean and staff provided additional towels as requested. The bed was super comfortable. Would definitely reserve here in the future!

"A nice place at the Joshua Tree National Park"
JROM52, 09 Octobre 2019

This hotel gives you the basics, a decent room (not my favorite pillows and blanket), breakfast and a location which is not too far from the park gates. Rates are sky-high everywhere, including the prices of the Art goods sold at the participating exhibition locations.

"Friendly and clean in Joshua Tree"
Sharon R, 07 Octobre 2019

Excellent property for the price. Kind and friendly staff, large pool, great breakfast. Parking spots are small for a SUV, plenty of parking. Great central location to National Park and only 35 minutes from Palm Springs.

"Nice size rooms, amenities inconsistent"
Nslagle, 06 Octobre 2019

Very nice room and large bathroom. We were on the second floor with high ceilings. Stayed 3 nights. Some of the amenities were missing when we got to the room, and they did not restock them all on a daily basis. However they were happy to give me what I neeeded - I only had to ask. Breakfast was plentiful, but just okay.

"Nice friendly clean hotel"
slsorenson, 01 Octobre 2019

Very friendly at check in, decent breakfast, with variety of choices, clean room and bathroom, even gave us an upgraded room. Recommend staying if visiting Joshua Tree National Park. Person who checked us in was helpful with directions.

"Joshua Tree photography trip"
ltdavid55, 01 Octobre 2019

Nice, clean hotel. Located near the Joshua Tree National Park. Kitchen Suites had all the necessary equipment. Good shower pressure. Located near stores and restaurants. A little pricey, but the convenience of being so close to the National Park was worth the expense.

"BW Experience"
Nedaree74, 23 Septembre 2019

It was a great stay and we enjoyed the comfort of the room and the breakfast was great. We even had a great time at the pool area with the hot tub. I recommend it if you are in the Pioneer town area. :)

"Not bad, but a bit expensive for what you get."
J933FLterryl, 02 Septembre 2019

Bottom line: If you don't mind paying their rates, it's a good place to stay for a trip to Joshua Tree National park. This is the nicest place to stay in Joshua Tree/Yucca Valley area. It's not new, but seems to be kept up pretty well. Unfortunately, they know they're the nicest place in the immediate area and over-price themselves accordingly! Though laid out very strangely, the rooms are larger than usual. Beds are very comfortable. The flatscreen TV is tiny (I think it's a 32"?), but they've got a ton of channels from which to choose. The TV is also on the dresser in front of the bed instead of being in front of the chair or sofa. So you've got to move the furniture around unless you want to sit on the edge of the bed to watch TV. The shower is nice - - hot water comes quickly and the water doesn't shoot out too hard. (I hate a shower that feels like I'm being pricked by pins.) The only issue is how to turn the shower on... I'm told it a European thing, but you have to pull down on the ring at the end of the water spout! The bathroom also has an unused niche that none of the staff can explain. It makes the space for the toilet way too tight. It's O.K. if you're thin or average, but would be very uncomfortable if you're a large or wide person. Sometimes the air conditioning is a bit loud, but it has always worked well in all of the rooms we've used. Can't say the same for the internet - - sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't -- and they don't give you a discount or any other compensation when it's out for a day or more! Parking is outdoors and in the sun, but very easy. The pool is small but clean, and in the shade in the afternoon which is great during the summer when you really want to cool off. Unfortunately, you have to walk across the parking lot to access it. Breakfast is plentiful, with a large variety of hot and cold items. It seems to be exactly the same every day, but there's enough variety that you can choose to eat something different each morning and not repeat yourself for several days. They also start breakfast at 6am daily - - a real necessity when you want to get an early start to visit the desert in the summertime!

"Overnight"
happy420wench, 28 Août 2019

Good location for being able to sight see. Room was missing screen on the window that could be opened. I do not care for BW hot breakfast food, however, looking around others seemed to be ok with it. Coffee was good.

"Grateful, Happy, and Satisfied"
cili109, 28 Juillet 2019

My stay at the Best Western in Yucca Valley was fantastic! Felt like a home coming. The staff and day time manager were kind and considerate, went out of their way care for my needs. The hotel, is clean and well run. Breakfast was good too. I highly recommend this hotel!

"Illiness at hotel"
Fredrick R, 25 Juillet 2019

While hotel is nice, food is poorly prepared and down right dangerous. Multiple food handlers who may or may not have necessary documentation to handle food. Rooms are hot and poorly maintained. This is a franchise so the owner probably does not care just as long as he has full rooms. I am in area for 2 years so have to stay in local facility and while costs are high it is the best for area.

"Room was great, pool broken for half our visit"
PDXtraveller707, 24 Juillet 2019

Room was large and clean with solid AC, nice towels and sheets, and a huge bathroom. We had a fine stay over-all. The pool/hot tub were broken for the first half of our stay, but were eventually fixed... unfortunately, neither is kept very clean and though we asked, there is no skimmer available for guests to remove the junk and many big bugs that blow into them in this windy/dusty parking lot. Kinda gross. Facilities are split between two buildings in an odd way, so expect to walk across the parking lot to do laundry or get to the pool or breakfast. Breakfast was blah usual hotel fare. Place was clean and housekeeping kept our room very nice during the entire week we stayed. Ps - DO NOT get food from the Mexican place next door to the parking lot - it was horrible.

"Fine room - pool/hot tub not maintained"
PDXtraveller707, 17 Juillet 2019

Fine room, clean and good sized with great A/C, standard blah breakfast, advertised pool/hot tub NOT functioning and by the look have not been working for a while - we felt like they were hiding the broken pool and didn't tell us until they already had my credit card :(. Without another close option we didn't have a choice. Room has been absolutely fine. DO NOT get food from the Mexican place right next door - it was aweful.

"Good value for a good room"
TheWandererYeah, 05 Juillet 2019

Stayed here while visiting family. This is a clean, safe property that I considered a good value. Simple breakfast was fine. Desk staff was friendly and even solved my TV issue! Much better than other local hotels I have used.

"A Wonderful, Welcoming Hotel"
Greg51512, 03 Juin 2019

We have stayed at this hotel on multiple occasions and wouldn't think of staying anywhere else in the Yucca Valley area. First and foremost, the staff is an unusually warm, friendly, genuine staff. In addition, the rooms are consistently the best of what we have come to expect at a Best Western and at comparable hotels -- spacious, clean, well lit, etc. The hotel is very conveniently located, too. A few restaurants are a short walk away, and there are numerous food, grocery, banking, and convenience store options within 2 miles of the hotel. Even Palm Springs is only 40 minutes away, in case guests would like access this additional destination. Further, the hotel is a great value!

"Only place I will stay!"
Road31636390883, 29 Mai 2019

This is the nicest and cleanest hotel in the area. The staff is great. The rooms are cleaned and breakfast is included. It is convenient to Joshua Tree and local restaurants. This is the only place in town we will stay.

"Good location"
freddi g, 18 Mai 2019

All in all this was a good place for location to Joshua Tree National Park. The room was clean, but no refrigerator, there was a place for it but empty! The breakfast was great with a wide assortment of choices. Check in and out easy, if in the area again we would stay here.

"Nice Stay near Joshua Tree"
jmpncsu, 13 Mai 2019

We stayed two nights at the Best Western while visiting Joshua Tree. Overall, it was a very nice stay. The staff were friendly, rooms were clean, and we enjoyed the complimentary breakfast in the mornings. Location is great with easy access to Joshua Tree National Park. We would stay here again if visiting Joshua Tree.

"Great hotel, great experience "
mmoran0711, 08 Mai 2019

we had a great experience at this hotel. the person who checked us in was friendly and very helpful in finding a restaurant around us for dinner. the room was clean and smelled nice upon walking in. beds were comfy and pillows plush. parking was easy as there was plenty of spaces. breakfast the next morning was good. eggs, sausage, french toast and exceptional coffee;) checkout was a breeze. would definitely recommend this hotel.

"Pleasant stay"
sueprc, 21 Avril 2019

Good location for visiting north end of Joshua Tree National Park. Desk staff friendly. Room was comfortably furnished, spotless, quiet and bed was very good. Would stay again. Plenty of restaurants nearby.

"Yucca Valley Best Western"
Robert M, 19 Avril 2019

A very pleasant and restful place. Very quiet and spacious room. Bountiful free breakfast. A good jumping-off place for the wonders of the north side of Joshua Tree National Park. Very friendly staff.

"Out of town work"
JeffH2195, 16 Avril 2019

Needing a nice place to stay and keep rested during a several months construction project in Yucca Valley I made my way to my trusted BW hotel, and this one didn't disappoint, the staff is very friendly the rooms large clean and comfortable. I brought my wife and kids out with me as well for a week, and everyone had a great time. I would stay here anytime I was in the area.

"Good enough"
leemX8767MU, 14 Avril 2019

It is under 7 miles to Joshua Tree National Park visitor center. Sizzler's and other eating places are closed by. The king size mini suite has a sofa bed and a small refrigerator, no microwave ( but there is one in the main lobby area ). The room is clean and good enough for us to stay after visiting Joshua Tree NP. The morning breakfast is basic, but it is a great plus for convenience. There was no blanket for the sofa bed, but we picked it up at the front desk. Front desk staff are friendly.

"The staff is the BEST"
dogcyn, 10 Avril 2019

They are helpful and friendly and always make me wish I could stay longer! The coffee is always fresh and even the manager rolls up her sleeves to pitch in and mop the lobby before it gets busy. They go out of their way to make your stay WONDERFUL. I won't stay anywhere else!

"Oasis in the desert"
tundraroamer, 09 Avril 2019

Upon our arrival, we got a room upgrade and a small bag of goodies with fresh baked cookies. Friendly greeting, easy check in. This stop was planned since we had been on the road and needed to do laundry. The room was a suite and very comfortable. We had a rear location so no traffic noise but not so much for the neighbors. Thin walls and very noisy plumbing made the stay less pleasant. Especially at 4am in the morning when showers started. The parking was also in the rear and didn't feel secure. We parked closer to the front for the night. That was probably just an us thing however. Breakfast was good but the room was little hard to find. We ate later so crowds were all ready gone. Good location to Joshua Tree park and short drive to dining spots in town.

"Clean and very friendly"
Passport57252348477, 09 Avril 2019

highly recommended even though some travel sites do not highlight this hotel it was a pleasant surprise to find in an area where most others are run down and dirty. Breakfast is a bonus and had a little more than most but still pretty normal selections like eggs, sausage, french toast etc.

"Nice place to stay in Yucca Valley, CA"
Wayne V, 04 Avril 2019

This property has a convenient location and offers direct access to Joshua Tree National Park just a few miles away. We chose this hotel because of its proximity to the national park and found that to be a good choice as we drove for fewer than ten minutes to reach the west entrance visitors center. The rooms are also very spacious and overall very comfortable. The pool looked nice but we did not try it as the outside temperatures were in the low 60s. We did use the guest laundry and all that went well. Should we visit Joshua Tree NP again we will likely choose to stay here again.

"Joshua Tree and Concert Trip"
travelcatz1, 04 Avril 2019

Was in town for the Under The Stars Concert series and to visit the not to be missed Joshua Tree Park. Stayed at Best Western, wonderful decision. Staff was most accommodating, if you need anything, as the women at the front desk, Tanea and Alicia, they will get it done. Rooms were super clean, breakfasts were delightful and filling. I'd return again for sure.

"It's ok, I guess"
OwlYaDoing, 27 Mars 2019

Stayed here for 3 nights to visit Joshua Tree and the surrounding area. The hotel has 2 buildings - we were in the "other" building, which is not attached to the main building with the lobby. We had a 2 bedroom suite, with a full kitchen, which was really nice to have all that extra space. The shower was really tricky to use, so much so that they leave a little instruction pamphlet in the bathroom on how to operate it. Once you get it 'down', it's easy, but that first time, it's odd. I did like the extra jets. Our stay was quiet and we didn't have any issues. Laundry and the pool are attached to the second building, whereas the fitness center and breakfast area are in the first building. Fitness center needs an overhaul. The treadmill turns on but the belt doesn't run, so it's essentially out of service. The elliptical machine is in need of repair, as it's terribly noisy in use. Breakfast was below average, and I'm comparing this to other Best Western properties I've stayed in (I'm Platinum, so it's a lot), though there is a lot of seating. The Yucca Valley area in general is kind of a hole, so if you're visiting the area, I'd recommend staying in Palm Desert/Springs or other areas in the valley. I've been to this area many times, and for this trip, wanted to stay closer to Joshua Tree National Park, but really, I'd rather stay in a nicer city and drive further to the park than stay in this town. Restaurants here tend to close early (8pm)

"Great Best Western to stay at"
793dona, 25 Mars 2019

Clean Place newly built very friendly staff really nice rooms great parking if you have work trucks or larger trucks can park in the back they have a nice clean pool and spa they also have rooms with full kitchenettes and a couple really great Mexican restaurants nearby the Italian place as you come into town this fantastic

"Pleasant surprise in this area."
Traveler43065, 19 Mars 2019

Surprisingly good service and hospitality. Nice to have cable TV and Jacuzzi tub although it needed hotter water. Sadly, we could hear the TV next door, though that might have been by someone who left it on while they were away. The lobby was lacking in comfortable seating for a relaxing bit out of the room. Very efficient staff.

"Well-appointed room"
329kathyc, 19 Mars 2019

I'd happily stay here again. The bed was comfortable and it was nice to have a comfy chair with an ottoman to read in. The desk was handy for getting a little work done, and the room was bigger than most. The only dings on this would be that the battery was missing from the smoke detector (room 210) and if you don't see the instructions for how to work the shower, you could spend a lot of time messing around with it. Breakfast was nothing special, but at least they had a fair number of options.

"Best Hotel in the Area"
Andy L, 25 Février 2019

I have stayed here every year for about seven years, and have almost always had a great experience. I was here again in February, 2019 and had a very good experience. Rooms are spacious and clean, breakfast is good and plentiful, hotel staff has been friendly. I have stayed here in the past when it was loud, but this February it was not. I have stayed at other properties in this town and they were sub-par to say the least.

"Nice budget hotel"
tismyk, 24 Février 2019

Stayed here for 2 nights to break the journey to Los Vegas and to give us time to explore Joshua Tree National Park. Nice clean room and friendly staff a nice budget hotel it has a small pool and spa and is close to the park entrance no restaurants in walking distance though

"Nice atmosphere!"
Guide253796, 20 Février 2019

We stayed in this Best Western for two nights. The room was extremely clean and pleasant, the staff was wonderful, and the complimentary breakfast was delicious. We didn't use the pool area but there were guests in the sauna so it must have been warm and clean!

"Thank you BW crew in Yucca Valley"
Escape00648980086, 15 Février 2019

Good room Great Service Really good breakfast Check in was fast and was greeted with a smile and gratitude for staying there. Larger than normal hotel bathroom, I really appreciated that. HVAC ran well and was quiet. And plenty of Hot Water. Thank you.

"Good, clean, quiet"
peastertexas, 13 Février 2019

I really enjoyed my 4 day stay here. Comfortable bed, quiet, good breakfast, very friendly and helpful staff. Handy to most things in YV. Would stay here again. No complaints, just a good restful stay while visiting my daughter.

"Stayed for the KOH"
Adventure38357372389, 09 Février 2019

excellent hotel I was there for 5 nights during the king of hammers event . Was one of the closer hotels . had a good free breakfast . Lots of items. Parking can always be better but I did have two trucks and a trailer .

"Great place"
Adventure36038510691, 02 Février 2019

When we travel to yucca Valley we always stay at the best western because this hotel is right in the middle of town and is very close to all dining and shopping and this hotel is the best place to stay because of its cleanliness and comfort.

"Good Family stay near Joshua Tree"
Veronica T, 16 Janvier 2019

We loved, and would return to this hotel. Well priced and well located near shopping facilities and dining options but in a quiet location, near Joshua Tree, and well positioned for day trips to Palm Springs, without the expense of staying in the area. The hotel turned out the favourite of our teenage boys, who enjoyed the location, breakfast room and 2 room suite, a bed each for the boys and a separate for the parents in the other room. TV channel selection was a win also. Only comments were the shower temperature running a bit cooler than our taste, and probably an update on the bed. Regardless, the favoured hotel of our 3 week USA road trip and we would book here again.

"Excellent place for family vacation at Joshua Tree Park."
akela33, 15 Janvier 2019

Stayed one night with my family. Everything was great - clean room, good night sleep, fast WiFi, friendly staff. Breakfast was included, and quite a decent one. The location is ideal if you want to explore the Joshua Tree Park. The room has a kitchen, with huge fridge, microwave, stove top, utensils included. We didn't really use it much because our stay was short, but in any case this is really valuable feature. It was busy holiday time, and when we returned after a dinner late in the evening, the hotel parking lot was fully packed. But the receptionist was very helpful and directed us to the adjacent lot owned by AutoZone, which was empty - and we had no problem having our car parked there.

"Does the job..."
MBenjiGraham, 10 Janvier 2019

We stayed here recently as our base when exploring Joshua Tree National Park. For a 2 star accommodation, we were impressed by the cleanliness of the hotel and the friendliness of the staff. A comfortable and inexpensive stay.

"Very Clean with Great Staff"
Resort37730276417, 03 Janvier 2019

This hotel is extremely clean. I travel a great deal for work and hotel cleanliness is at the top of my hotel criteria. I booked this hotel because it's near the Joshua Tree Retreat Center. I only stayed one night but was very pleased with the spotless room and the very helpful staff. My only issue with this property is the breakfast leaves a lot to be desired if you don't eat meat and your usual meals lean on the healthier side. There wasn't much fresh fruit and no prepared oatmeal. Since I didn't have a car and the ride share company proposed a long arrival time, I had to hoof it to a local eatery. There's a wonderful restaurant about a mile away where I was able to get a healthy meal. Overall, this hotel is a nice clean place to lay your head. The decor is a bit dated, but they make up for that with a professional and attentive staff.

"Good hotel in good location with very nice staff"
panda4life, 02 Janvier 2019

The staff was exceptionally nice, with a special shout out to Tanea on the evening shift for being so helpful and putting out such positive energy. Hotel is easily accessible from highway, and suite was spacious and clean. Only issue was with oddly designed shower heads in the bathroom. Overall, would stay again.

"Nice hotel in Joshua Tree"
John C, 30 Décembre 2018

WE were glad we chose this hotel. It was clean, with friendly staff and close to the things we wanted to see in this area.Decent breakfast. Hotel was quiet and roo was clean. All appkiances in kithenette were in good order. (We didn't use the dishwasher, though.)

"Desert get-away"
Ray M, 27 Décembre 2018

Nice hotel, nice room. Very good breakfast for the price (yogurt, eggs, sausage, not just waffles). December visit - Room was nice, but a little cold, could not get heater fixed or spare blankets. But spectacular location - see attached picture taken outside in the hotel parking lot at dawn. And I forgot my shaving bag. Emailed the hotel a pre-paid USPS shipping label, and it arrived right after Christmas. Thank you!

"Great Choice for Joshua Tree"
IReallyReallDontCare, 21 Décembre 2018

Location is perfect: this hotel is near restaurants, stores, business and 6 miles to the park entrance road/visitor center. The facility is fairly new, well cared for and accommodating. I would stay there again.

"Great stay excell bed"
Passenger02832026523, 03 Décembre 2018

Excellent place to stay and comfort room the best bed I ever steeped in great food well prepared and served. The staff was welcoming warm ready to serve the needs of quests, and good advise on places to go and eat.

"Nice time in the Desert!"
Domi_Intl, 29 Novembre 2018

Was here for my cousin's wedding in nearby Pioneertown. Best Western Plus is pretty consistent. The breakfast here was very good although one day the last hour they ran out of some food options. I suggest you go early. Location is ideal.

"Nice hotel"
Janice M, 04 Novembre 2018

Nice hotel I would probably only give it a three or four star. Bed was comfortable and the room was clean and had lots of room. Breakfast was very simple. The only thing that would really complain about is the pool is very very very small you cannot swim a lap! We visited from Portland Oregon and was looking for a nice pool to swim in when we got to Palm Springs. Was disappointed in the size but we only stayed one night so we managed! It was very close to Joshua Tree National Forest and that's where we were headed!

"WTC Graduation"
barryy731, 28 Octobre 2018

Older hotel but clean. Good breakfast. Hotel staff charged me twice for room but corrected the problem. TV did not work but we were upgraded to a suite at no charge! Staff was friendly and good. Exercise room was adequate. Coffee available 24 hours a day. Not fancy but good for hikers at Joshua Tree.

"great find"
DCRNAS, 25 Octobre 2018

exceptional quality service....they just need to offer some meal variety but otherwise everything else is great. check in process was easy.checkout process was smooth...room amenities adequate...internet connection markedly improved.

"The Best Wedding"
redowen1, 22 Octobre 2018

The place is clean - the beds are great - the gym is clean - the pool and spa are the perfect temp - the complementary breakfast is fantastic - we were not expecting such good fresh food - BW is easy to find and the staff does everything to make your stay stand out - Our stay was better than the last fancy hotel we went to at the beach - I really recommend this BW - we know where we will stay when we go back to Joshua Tree

"Friendly Staff & Spacious Rooms"
bluvict, 22 Octobre 2018

Excellent location with spacious guest rooms and very friendly and personable staff!Didn't spend much time in room but the decor could definitely use some updates. The headboard in our room was broken and the freezer was frosted over, but didn't warrant us requesting a new room.Would recommend if you are just looking for an inexpensive place to crash while exploring the beautiful surroundings/

"Terrible Customer service, Charged 200 and didn't even get to stay"
lcfelty, 30 Septembre 2018

I booked this hotel for my family at around 12am on a Saturday night, the 22nd of September. I thought that I had booked it for Sunday, the 23rd, the next morning, with checkout being Monday morning. I didn't realize my mistake until we were about to leave the following morning. When I called the hotel to discuss the mistake and see what could be done about it, one of your representatives had me believe that she could discount the stay from the previous night, and discount the stay for that night when we would actually be staying, and that it would even out to the original price of around 200 altogether. So my family gathered our things, and went to the Best Western. Upon arriving there, the lady at the front desk told us to sign the form which showed how much we were going to be charged for the previous night, and said, "don't worry, obviously it's not going too be as much as it says there." So we signed. It wasn't until after we signed and went up to our room that she called and told me essentially that they were NOT going to discount the charge from the previous night, and that the most they could discount this night would be from 160 or so to 135. No matter how I tried to reason with them that it was a mistake, and that we were here the following day, they wouldn't budge. My brother had had a similar experience with the Stayridge hotel only a month before, and they simply moved his date. They were very good at accommodating their customer and doing what they could to help his situation. Meanwhile, your hotel did nothing but give me false information, telling me that they would most likely be able to discount it wildly so that we wouldn't pay much more than were originally charged. It was under this pretense that my family bothered to pack up all of our things and drive the hour and a half to your hotel. Had we known we were going to be charged the full 200 for the previous night, plus 135 for the night we were actually going to stay, we would have saved ourselves the trip. I feel that the Best Western we stayed at was extremely unreasonable, and had they wanted to, they could've accommodated us somehow. It isn't as if we chose to cancel and wanted our money back. We were still going to stay, and the very next day at that. We booked the hotel so late, that I doubt anyone would've wanted the room we had, therefore I don't think we took up unnecessary space. Even if that had been the case, the hotel parking lot was almost empty when we showed up on Sunday, so once again, we wouldn't have taken up space that other customers would've needed to occupy. Somehow, I'm sure that if they wanted to give us great customer service and help us out, they could've managed it. Instead, 200 dollars went down the drain, we wasted a trip to your hotel, and my mother's birthday plans were cancelled. This was a horrible experience, made worse by the fact that I feel your representative, Dana, tried to trick us into coming out there so this establishment could charge us, not only the 200 for the original date, but an additional 135 for the night in question. At no point did she try to call me back or contact me in any way to let me know that her original estimate was wrong, or to inform me of how much we would actually be charged. It wasn't until we had actually arrived there, signed the fee form, and checked in that they decided to inform us of this. I really feel that she tried her best to scam another 135 out of my family. I am very disappointed in the inflexibility of your establishment and the sheer dishonesty, false promises, and lack of communication on the part of your representatives. Because of this experience and the horrible customer service we received, no one in my family will stay at a Best Western again. I think that it's a shame, because if things had gone differently and we had received the customer service that I believe we should had, my review would've been the opposite and the relationship each person in my family would have had with Best Western would've been a positive one. I would've been much more encouraged to continue as a loyal customer, yet with the way I was treated, I doubt I will ever do business with Best Western again, unless this situation is somehow remedied. It was truly a disgusting experience for me. I will definitely be leaving a 0 star on the review sites that I can, with my experience attached, as a warning for other people to avoid the terrible customer service at this establishment.

"Great Spot"
cyocco, 15 Septembre 2018

This is a great hotel. The staff is kind and friendly. The continental breakfast was amazing. The rooms are clean and the location is perfect. I would recommend anyone that is looking to stay in Yucca Valley to stay in this hotel.

"A very happy stay"
Claire S, 12 Septembre 2018

My husband and I just stayed for one night at this hotel on our way from LA to the Grand Canyon. It was perfect for what we needed. Lovely big room, huge bed, bath and shower, toiletries, big fridge, iron, ironing board,tv and coffee/hot water machine (for the British tea!). There are no tea bags in the room but we have our own with us anyway. The room had air conditioning at waist height which could be adjusted to suit, wet didn't actually use it at night anyway. Breakfast is between 6:30am-9am and is a buffet selection in the dining room. Lots of options for hot or cold food, fruit, cereal, french toast, bagels, hot drinks (including Earl Grey, my favourite!). Parking and WiFi is free and very easy. The price was very good for what you get. Would definitely recommend it and stay here again if in the area.

"They didn't tell me about pet fees"
Road658874, 28 Août 2018

I decided to stay here last minute, and when I made the reservation, the operator didn't tell me there would be a $20 per pet fee, so that added $40 to the price tag. The woman who checked me in wasn't friendly nor considerate, so I had to pay or have nowhere to stay. This might be the only Best Western in the area, but I think I'm going to try to check out other hotels in the area if I go back to Yucca Valley.

"Location!"
Kazzrat, 26 Juillet 2018

Hotel was fine, had everything needed for an overnight. Not where we expected to be, but that isn't hotel 's fault. Room was great and staff were helpful. Breakfast was reasonable and varied. Not much more to say!

"Best Place in the Desert"
sjcruz2018, 18 Juillet 2018

This is our third time staying at Best Western Joshua Tree and we have been very happy with the service and quality of the rooms. We also enjoy the continental breakfast. And the kids loved the pool. It was refreshing on a hot summer day.

"Good hotel, reasonable breakfast"
WorldTraveller1313, 04 Juillet 2018

I stayed here recently for 1 night. The room was large, and quiet. Breakfast is included and there's a reasonable (but not huge) range of options. Staff are friendly and helpful. I would stay there again.

"Nice place to stay"
Jonathan P, 25 Juin 2018

I have been to a few hotels in Joshua tree and this one is good to stay at. Customer service is pretty good and they have good amenities. I would definitely go back and stay here. Pretty good price for what it is

"Great property, friendly staff, very good breakfast and clean rooms and suites. Best hotel in the valley."
jamesnG6308BM, 21 Juin 2018

Great looking property, well maintained. Friendly and accommodating staff. Very clean property and guestrooms. Very nice breakfast with multiple choice of items complimentary.Small pool and spa but, very private away from the highway. The very best hotel in the valley. Second building has full kitchen units, a plus with a family.

"Nice hotel but just make sure you search for bedbugs, we found one "
Christine v, 17 Juin 2018

Nice hotel, as Best Westerns usually are. Great breakfast, but the pool is pretty small for the size of the hotel. I travel a lot and always search for bedbugs as this has become an epidemic even in the nicest hotels. We didn't find anything upon arrival but when we were packing to leave sure enough we found one. The front desk staff didn't seem to care and I had to ask for the GM's contact info so I could follow up. I wanted to make sure that they would take care of the issue for future guests. The GM was very nice and understanding, but I had to reach out to her as I had not received a call for two days. Not sure if I would stay here again, but also think that as long as you check the mattress upon arrival and keep your bags on the counter you should be fine. Best of luck as you don't want these hitchhikers coming home with you. We also found earwigs.

"Good place near the Joshua Tree National Park"
Jere R, 29 Mai 2018

Very nice place. Little hard to find. Professional staff. Everything was comfortable. Breakfast very good. Staff recommended fun things to do and places to eat in the area. Very convenient to the north entrance to the National Park.

"A good stay"
EmilyChuang, 28 Mai 2018

We had a overall good experience for the stay, however, we were stuck in the elevator for a few minutes. We were terrified though we've been told the elevator is kind of slow upon check in. It's better to improve that part for guests' safety. The bed was too soft for my husband to sleep, the amenity and towels were not enough for us to use. We booked for 6 adults but only 4 Pax amenities provided. I like the person who made the reservation for me on the phone, she was really kind and patient. For all the customer service I am really satisfied!=)

"Yucca Valley"
sdpip13, 23 Mai 2018

Bad, would not stay here, better to go to 29 Palms and stay at a hotel there. The server is bad, there is only one person at the desk at night and when you ask a question you get a lot of attitude back. The water was cold, and the shower curtain was the cloth one. It did not stop any of the water and the bathroom flooded when I took a shower. There were no food vending machines there so at night your options are to cross the street to the gas station, go to the auto store, or drive to get something to eat. (even a candy bar)

"another great stay at yucca valley BW"
nealkipnis, 22 Mai 2018

I have stayed here many times now and each was excellent. Great staff and very nice rooms. There are cheaper places to stay in the area, but this is the best hotel. You can easily access many places in the Joshua Tree area. Thank you!!!!

"Great location"
vicsdahlias, 16 Mai 2018

Older Hotel, price reasonable. Nice staff, close to Joshua Tree Nat'l Park.A/C made a lot of noise on & off. Big room shower good, but can see some wear & tear on furniture & carpet but clean... Breakfast was ok not great.

"Yucca Valley Best Western"
denisevasquezpho2018, 14 Mai 2018

I stayed at the Yucca Valley Best Western for 2 nights with my boyfriend for a quick getaway. Everyone at the hotel was very friendly & accommodating. The room was clean, the shower was great & the bed was very comfortable. Wifi service worked well and there was a nice size fridge in the room. A hot buffet Breakfast was included each morning which was good. There was a pool & hot tub at the hotel which was nice before & after hiking in the heat. The location was perfect for venturing to Joshua Tree National Park.

"Best Western Twentynine Palms"
Melissa V, 01 Mai 2018

There are not a lot of choices in Twentynine Palms but this would be my last choice if I return. Was there for two nights. The front desk and kitchen staff were very nice. The room was dreary. The carpet was very old and thin. The sheets are thin and the bed mattress was way beyond needing to be replaced. We left the Do Not Disturb sign in the morning while we went to breakfast and came back to finish getting ready. Left at 10:30 and pulled sign. Came back at 6:30 and room had not been touched. When I reported to front desk she asked "was the do not disturb sign out at any time?" I said yes until 10:30. She pulled the clipboard and said they called at 11:06 and there was no answer so they didn't clean the room. This the worst Housekeeping policy I've ever run into. They don't knock or recheck after they see the sign.By doing this the housekeepers reduce the number of rooms they have to clean and only clean rooms with checkouts.

"Broken refrigerator and air conditioner"
patricia0rr, 30 Avril 2018

the refrigerator in the room was broken, and it took hours of messing with the air conditioner to get it to work. For what you get, the value is certainly not there. I was brought an extra blanket when I got too cold.

"Very convenient to Joshua Tree Park"
Rose2364, 21 Avril 2018

Nice, clean hotel. Close to busy street/highway but quiet. Free parking. Wifi worked well. Short drive to Joshua Tree Park which is definitely worth a visit to hike. Nothing else to do/see in the town. Great little Mexican restaurant down the street (check reviews).

"Great hotel if staying in Yucca Valley."
Larry M, 19 Avril 2018

Great hotel if staying in Yucca Valley. We choose this hotel due to its proximity to Joshua Tree National Park. The room was clean, had a micro-wave, refrig, HBO and cable, clean big bathroom and a workout room. It has breakfast as well and it was very good.

"Overall excellent, except a few things"
daddyzgirl1, 15 Avril 2018

Bed was a bit worn and Wi-Fi didn't work. Accessible room was laid out well except had a tub. Otherwise would have rated 5. Breakfast was excellent and property was very clean. Loved that the linens had a slight softener and very clean smell. Hot water was plentiful.

"Clean! Beautiful room with tons of space. Nice location near park."
Kim W, 09 Avril 2018

We had a 2 room suite, which was nice to have the kids get to sleep without forcing us to go to bed early. Great breakfast buffet, just need to be patient on replenishing food. A bit tacky with the tip jar above the microwave. Friendly front desk. If you think the pool looks big enough to support a group of people, quit kidding yourself. Picture is very deceiving. The pool is maybe 15 x 15 - tiny and very cold! We picked the place based on having a pool and the kids were bummed.

"5 Star Service of Excellence at an affordable price!"
PugsnBirds, 05 Avril 2018

We have family in Palm Desert and Palm Springs. We visit them frequently from Las Vegas, Nevada. We like to stay at Marriott Hotels but everything was sold out due to the major Tennis tournament. The next best thing that was available was The Best Western Joshua Tree & Suites. The drive from this Hotel to the Coachella Valley was not that long at all. The hotel was super clean, has a lot of amenities to offer, delicious breakfast items, a gracious staff, and the one and only "Dana": The Front Desk Manager. Dana is one of the nicest person you will ever meet. She strives to provide genuine superior customer service! With her presence at this hotel, I can assure any future guests that are contemplating on staying here, that there will be no issues, situations, or problems. Dana truly brings out the full potential of her staff because all of them shines with 5 Star Service as well! Customer service truly makes all the difference. Thank you Dana and your wonderful staff for making our family's stay a memorable, comfortable, and enjoyable one.(2 Rooms: 3 Adults / 3 Children) First expressions are lasting impressions! We will be back many more times to stay here at The Best Western Joshua Tree Hotel.

"Joshua Tree weekend"
johnmaniccia, 03 Avril 2018

We had a lovely stay while we toured the area. The service was very flexible with our needs. The rooms were very comfortable. The location and amenities were great. The best thing was access to local sights. The worst things was that the in room internet could have been a bit faster.

"Great Place To Stay"
sjcruz2018, 02 Avril 2018

We stayed in a King Suite and the room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the free breakfast. We didn't get to enjoy the pool but it did look inviting. I would stay that this hotel again and look forward to doing so.

"Hikers' Hotel Near Joshua Tree"
Northcoast_Flyer, 26 Mars 2018

We've stayed at many Best Westerns and found this one lacking in comparison to most others. In fairness, it looked like one of the better options for people visiting nearby Joshua Tree National Park. This is a pretty rural desert area. Some of the visible wear and tear is probably due to dusty boots and people who forget they're not still on the trail and use the towels to wipe down their gear. Our room was clean and comfortable except for the brand new over stuffed pillows that were torture for sore necks. It was cool when we were there, but we still heard noisy HVAC units going on and off at night. I'd stay here again because of the proximity to the park. It's just not a peak experience sort of hotel.

"Slightly above a three and definately below a 4"
B-man71, 26 Mars 2018

This property has two units so if you are in the 2nd unit, you have to walk over to the main one for breakfast or front desk needs. The pool is outdoors and while we were there in March, the wind was blowing so hard it was not comfortable enough to use it. There was wifi issues as well as one day it worked, the next not so much. The room we were in had a bathroom door that when opened, it blocked the room door, which was different. Get a room either towards the back or in the annex to decrease the roadway noise you will hear from the rooms fronting the property. The breakfast area was nice and the selection of foods were good. The business center is tiny and only one person can use it at a time. Not the value I was hoping for at this property. Close to Joshua Tree NP, eating establishments and services. Staff were very good and customer service was great. My room didn't have a microwave, and staff told me when I checked out I could have requested one and they would have taken one from another room.

"Great Stay"
DPRPXRDP, 14 Mars 2018

My first time staying in a Best Western and it was a really pleasant stay. I stayed for 8 comfortable days. The hotel staff was really nice. There's a large variety of options complimentary breakfast including cereal, fruit and a waffle maker. My only issue with my stay was the gym. The treadmill was out of order and the elliptical made a knocking sound when I used it. Other than that it, it was a great stay. I would recommend this hotel.

"Fully equipped rooms"
Paul D, 14 Mars 2018

Rooms here are very well equipped with a massive fridge freezer, microwave, hob, a basic selection of pots, pans, cutlery, crockery etc. which means you could easily self cater. The receptionist explained that they have quite a high number of people who stay in the area for work on extended stays and this is why the rooms are equipped in this way. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. Wi-fi was good. The hotel comprises two blocks. Reception and breakfast room were in in one with some of the rooms and the other is where our room was located. That made little difference and there were good self-service laundry facilities, ice and vending machines in the block we were in. Breakfast was from 06.00-09.00hrs. Having stayed at a variety of hotels/motels on our holiday this was the earliest finish we came across and meant a leisurely breakfast was off the agenda. Nevertheless we had a good stay and we would probably book again if we came back to the area.

"Pleased with our stay!"
earlnjacquie, 11 Mars 2018

We spent four nights at the Best Western Joshua Tree Hotel and Suits. When I had trouble logging on to the WiFi the management were very helpful to get the problem figured out. Everyone was very courteous.

"Great staff"
Dale D, 09 Mars 2018

We had a night before our flight home and wanted a reasonable price hotel. We found this one on Airmiles. It's 30 minutes drive from Palm Springs. The hotel is very clean . What made it special was the friendly staff. We would visit the Yucca valley again. The area seems very nice .

"Oasis in high desert"
Diane M, 04 Mars 2018

We stayed the last weekend of February. Nice large room with a little kitchenette and great beds. The checkin staff was very helpful with redeeming my Best Western rewards cards. The breakfast each morning was the best buffet breakfast we've had at a Best Western. I know it sounds like I'm damning with faint praise, but it was exceptional in every way, taste, quality, quantity and service. The breakfast attendant was very efficient and helpful. I hope they pay her well! Thanks for a wonderful stay!

"Perfect location for visiting the park"
31MIK, 04 Mars 2018

Excellent place to stay while visiting Joshua Tree National Park. Rooms are very clean and quiet. Excellent hot breakfast included, free Wifi. Stop in at the Welcome Center next to the hotel for lots of good info about hiking and restaurants in the area. Would definitely stay here again.

"Joshua Tree National Park Visit"
Kaleipulama, 02 Mars 2018

My friend and I chose to stay here because of its location to the entrance for Joshua Tree Visitors Center. Not only did we appreciate the close proximity to the park but also the friendliness of the staff and cleanliness and comfort of this hotel. To add to our delight, the next morning we woke to the best continental breakfast we have ever had. I will stay here again when I return to visit the park.

"great place and big rooms"
Margscott, 01 Mars 2018

we stayed here as it was close to palm spring and we were very surprised how nice it was and the staff was very pleasant . Good for guests that want to go to Josua State park and use up some Best Western points

"GREAT BEST WESTERN STAY"
707clayg, 20 Février 2018

We had a great one night stay at this facility. The people on the check-in desk were very friendly and nice. They helped us with our BW voucher as the printout I had did not include all of the numbers, thank you. The room was on the third floor at the front of the motel so we did get some traffic noise in the late afternoon and early evening but it quieted down after dark. The facility was very clean and our room was very nice, like the carpet had just been cleaned. The room was large for a standard room and the bathroom was quite large but the sink was also in the bathroom with a good sized counter. We did have a view of the hills and the sunset was fantastic. I will ask for a room further from the highway next time to quiet the traffic noise. The motel was booked solid for the weekend we were there so lots of people in the lobby and cars in the lot. I think this is one of the nicest Best Western motels we have stayed at. The free breakfast area is large with lots of tables, excellent eating area. The full breakfast had the standard eggs, bacon and sausage patties, biscuits and gravy, French toast with strawberry preserves or syrup along with the normal cereals, muffins, sweet rolls. Outstanding selection. Great job and the staff kept everything clean and stocked. The bath towels were really soft. The bed was comfortable. The only complaint is the air conditioner was very loud even on low.

"Comfortable Stay!"
teachandtravel316, 19 Février 2018

I was visiting Joshua Tree for 2 nights and didn't want to camp with my group so I booked a room here! This hotel is easy to find and about 20 minutes away from the main gate to the park. The front desk was friendly and I was even able to check in a little bit early. Breakfast was served each morning and there was a good variety of food offered. Overall, my room was comfortable and roomy and I would stay here again!

"Road Trip"
ladydot, 18 Février 2018

The hotel was clean and nice! The lady at the fron desk was very pleasant, professional and quick to check you in. She asked if I was a member and I said no so she quickly enrolled me for future hotel stays. The room was also clean and had a comfortable bed.

"Comfortable place"
CincyBob, 14 Février 2018

The check-in process was very efficient with friendly staff. The room was very nice and very clean. The beds were super comfortable. The breakfast was the standard fare. I would highly recommend this place.

"Made it in too late to get my keys"
Jessica G, 04 Février 2018

Family of 5 adults, 1 child, 1 dog moving to 29 Palms we were supposed to pick up our keys on the 1st but got delayed and didnt arrive until after hours for our property management and in a pinch called BW for a reservation. Couldn't believe the low price and availability on such short notice! The staff was friendly and accommodating and we all slept very well in our suite that we all fit in. Thank you!

"Close to everything"
David M, 02 Février 2018

Hotel is in a good location in the middle between Pioneertown and Joshua tree National Park and is very clean and neat. There is a great Mexican food restaurant right next-door and a lot of other restaurants in the vicinity. The staff was great and the breakfast was good too

"Great hotel and service."
692rodneys, 02 Février 2018

Booked a senior's room with 10% discount. Room was very good with great 'senior assistance' touches in the bathroom - rails etc. Large bathroom access for people with mobility issues. Would recommend without hesitation.

"Great place"
Matthew A, 29 Janvier 2018

We had a good stay here. The place is clean and the staff is friendly. Breakfast was good and hot as it should be. The place felt very secure too especially as there are multiple buildings at this location.

"Very good place to stay and price also is very good"
Taylor J, 09 Janvier 2018

I think I got the best and largest room BW can offer to my family. There are 2 king sized beds in separated rooms and also has one more sleeping sofa. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. My family stayed in CA for 10 dates and this was the best Hotels we stayed. The breakfast also is the best to compare with other hotels. Everything was very good.

"Very comfortable stay & pet friendly"
ewright2013, 06 Janvier 2018

We booked this hotel during a trip to Joshua Tree Nation Park. We specifically choose this hotel because it offered complimentary breakfast & is pet friendly. Our room was clean & very spacious. We were pleasantly surprised our double room also included a kitchenette with fridge, dishwasher, microwave, dishes & utilizes. We greatly appreciated the full size fridge & freezer. There are plenty of restaurants, all a short drive away, some even walk-able. The breakfast was plentiful & filling, ours included biscuits & gravy, sausage, bacon, french toast, eggs, pastry's, cereals, fruits & some pretty darn good Folgers coffee. The front desk staff was friendly & helpful recommended restaurants & near by stores. This was one of the pricier hotels in the area, but we felt it was well worth the extra $. The only minor issue we had was the parking lot by the second building , where we walked our dog had a slight sewer"ish" smell. Not sure if that's the hotels fault, but this would not hinder us from staying here again. We loved the spacious rooms & close distance to Joshua Tree Nat'l Park.

"Great place for the price"
kristid2018, 02 Janvier 2018

The room was clean, comfortable, and mostly quiet--this is our second stay at this hotel. I thought the food was OK--my husband loved it. I appreciated the good brands of tea. Hubby said the coffee in the room was not great. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

"Nice room; kitchenette w/full fridge; good location"
DAEsmae, 01 Janvier 2018

We selected this hotel due to its proximity to Joshua Tree National Park and the fact it is dog-friendly. Check in was smooth, room was clean, and included a kitchenette with a full size fridge. Not much area for dog walking, but some medians/shallow landscape strips allowed. Wi-fi was very slow and unsecured. Comfortable bed.

"Sub par shower/customer service"
VeraG0, 31 Décembre 2017

This would be funny if we werent so angry w/how BW management handled: Arrived late (though guaranteed on credit card) & given last available room, #205. We had just come in from a sweaty day of hiking & were looking forward to a relaxing shower & good sleep. This is our 3rd visit & we had always been satisfied (proximity/price/comfort). Unfortunately we got stuck w/a handicapped room, which, though spacious, provided only a dribble of a shower! Disappointed, we asked the front desk to switch to a better room, but since they were sold out, they said we were out of luck. A few seconds later (as if on cue) the smoke alarm started blaring. Turned out our skimpy shower had triggered it from the steam from leaving the shower running too long. The front desk apologized but said the manager in the morning would handle. Went to sleep in freezing room w/no extra blankets. At 2am, we were roused out of bed w/the fire alarm blaring, yet again, but this time no shower to trigger it?! Called the front desk--you'd think they would have called us if an alarm went off!--Lucily, someone answered so we also requested blankets which the clerk promptly brought! The next morning tried to discuss our upset w/ manager who said because we had booked through hotels.com they were not responsible for the room offering and could not provide any compensation. Upset, I insisted that the hotel used 3rd party websites precisely to manage their inventory & that regardless of how we booked the room, the rooms amenities should meet certain standards. Plus, the fire alarms going off had NOTHING to do w/hotels.com. The day manager offered us $20 discount & suggested we book directly next time. With little sleep, we agreed that there probably won't be a next time.

"Adequate but pricey"
Jan F, 31 Décembre 2017

Rooms are clean, towels smell of bleach, staff is friendly, breakfast is crowded. All to be expected from a third tier independent hotel. But the really bad thing is the price. When we need more than one room we stay in 29 Palms, because a better hotel room there is cheaper. But for one room, the gasoline for traveling back and forth to visit in Yucca Valley doesn't pay. The hotel has been full or nearly every time we have stayed there. Weekend breakfast times are good, but weekdays breakfast starts and ends earlier, 6:30 to 9:00, and between 8:30 to 9:00 as the various food items run out they are slow to refill them. Granted, there is usually a line longer than the amount of eggs they put out at one time will supply, but this is a tourist hotel, not business, and they should plan better for weekdays. I have told them this for over five years as we have stayed there, but it falls on deaf ears. We know if we want breakfast to get down early, and now you do too. And we do keep coming back because the rooms are clean, adequate, and convenient for us. But if I were visiting the National Park instead of friends, I would stay elsewhere.

"Best Hotel for the Area"
plnrboy, 27 Décembre 2017

Stayed over Christmas and this is by far the cleanest and nicest hotel in the area. The others are OK but a little less clean. The price was right and the room was nice. They really do not have any views, we were looking at the auto store next door, but none really do. The breakfast was the usual, hotel food, some powdered eggs and sausage, etc... nice coffee and toast for me. Kids will love the breakfast since there is sweets. All in all we will be staying here often when in the area.

"Christmas in Joshua Tree"
Teresa A, 26 Décembre 2017

A GREAT stay my husband and myself. The bed very comfortable. Huge refrigerator. The heater worked TG it was cold. Nice place ,pool a little small close to all amenities. Employees very nice, recommend

"Clean room, good hotel to stay with a dog"
Samantha A, 26 Décembre 2017

We thought the room was very clean and smelled nice. Great water pressure in shower! Bed was comfortable, I'm very picky about beds. I don't like squishy mattresses with a hole in the center, these were great! We came with our dog, thought the pet fee was reasonable at twenty dollars, and hotel staff helpful. Came to visit family for Christmas, found this was the nicest hotel in town, I checked them all.

"Good place near Joshua Tree"
RehE2011, 21 Décembre 2017

We were able to book this room and were happy with the proximity to Joshua Tree. Since we arrived late in the evening it was hard to tell what was around. The staff suggested one restaurant that might still be open. It would seem the town closes early even on a Friday night. The hotel was nice and the bed was comfortable.

"Great location, dog friendly."
JoanieJEatsWorld, 07 Décembre 2017

Great place to stay for day trip to Joshua Tree if you have a dog. Located on busy highway, Not scenic. Rooms were acceptable, nothing special. Staff was pleasant, breakfast was typical BW buffet. Pool is very small. 24 hour Mexican Food next door!

"Great Hotel"
charleslandis, 06 Décembre 2017

Great hotel if you're looking for a modern, well maintained and comfortable place near J Tree. The room and bed were clean, excellent, spacious and comfortable. The complimentary, buffet breakfast was good - not great. Most other hotels in the area are small, quaint places - and there's nothing wrong with that. But the Best Western is modern, has modern amenities and is worth the slightly higher rate.

"Great room, everything else was very poor"
Chris H, 28 Novembre 2017

Room was very nice and comfortable, but the other factors were all very disappointing. Wifi was almost non-existent, breakfast was barely edible, and the cleaning service was mediocre. Room was far from cheap which leads to a very poor overall value.

"Almost great stay"
Connie F, 22 Novembre 2017

This hotel is very nice and the rooms are clean and well organized. We had what I think was an isolated incident in which there was not enough food at the breakfast for the guests at any one time. I have reported this and I think they will look into it. I also wanted to give a room tip that the center rooms on each floor (we had 310) are set back kind of behind a housekeeping room which makes you feel a bit like a second class citizen. It is apparently this configuration that also results in an outswing bathroom door that won't stay open, and which conflicts with the main room door making the room seem very cramped. I suspect the other rooms are just fine.

"Best Western is Best in Yucca Valley"
John R, 13 Novembre 2017

I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Yucca Valley, CA. The best value for your dollar. Great location, close to everything. Helpful staff, they will get you everything you need or tell you where to get it. great comfort, very clean, easy to get to.

"Kind and genuine"
725amberp, 08 Novembre 2017

Staff was beyond helpful with our extenuating circumstances. Very kind all the way around. Facility was extremely well kept, inside and out. Very nice details to finish off the room and bathroom. Thank you.

"Clean, convenient, spacious"
patluck, 08 Novembre 2017

Traveling as three adults, we spent 2 nights at Best Western Joshua Tree Hotel & Suites. We had a room with an included extra bedroom (3 double beds altogether) and a kitchenette. The kitchenette was equipped like a full kitchen with a decent-sized refrigerator, stovetop, and sink. The main bedroom was spacious and airy. The smaller extra bedroom was also decent-sized, with its own dresser, closet, and TV. The hotel was very clean and pleasant, and our room was quiet. Complimentary breakfast offerings included eggs, bacon, toast, hot and cold cereals, and more. We did not make any special requests of the staff, but they were friendly and always available. The hotel is just a few minutes from the north entrance to Joshua Tree National Park. I would recommend this hotel.

"Good for location and cost"
420evelynb, 07 Novembre 2017

Pretty good for a Best Western. Walls are thin, so be prepared to hear your neighbor's (both next door and upstairs) TV and conversations. We were in a room just one floor up and one room over from the entry door which was an automatic sliding door. Every time the door opened and closed, it was as if a small train was running through your room (noise, not vibration). GET A ROOM AWAY FROM THE ENTRY HALL. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Bed was comfy. Great having a kitchenette, especially if you have some dietary restrictions that necessitate having some of your own food choices. Full refrigerator, two burner stovetop, microwave, dishwasher, sink, and some plates-cups-glasses-bowls. I would go again if I am back in this area.

"Very Nice Stay!"
2aztravellers, 31 Octobre 2017

We chose this place to get out of a very unpleasant timeshare property in Palm Springs 3 days early and to be closer to JTNP which we were interested in exploring as well. Didn't understand some previous negative reviews about cleanliness. This property has 2 separate buildings, where the check-in office is the traditional hotel, across the parking lot and adjacent to the pool is the building with the extended stay suites. This building smelled clean and like new when we entered for the first time. We were on the 3rd floor and the room had almost a full kitchen (no oven) but had a 2 burner hob, a full size top freezer refrigerator, microwave oven, and a smaller dishwasher (all S/S by the way) and plenty of granite counter top space and large enough sink w/disposal to fix light meals/clean up, oh and service for 2. This was important as we were still near the beginning of a 15-night trip and had brought a lot of food with us for hiking and we felt the need to leave our first lodging. Our room backed up to a residential subdivision with some mountain views so it was quiet. Bed was comfy. Bathroom was huge with enough room to store luggage out of the way in a little alcove and was well-lit. Everything was immaculately clean. Had no issues with the WiFi but we just used it to find local places to eat and driving routes, didn't try streaming. Breakfast, though not the restaurant fare some people seem to expect, was quite filling with a few hot protein items (eggs, bacon or sausage, tater tots, French toast), hard boiled eggs already peeled and in a fridge with milks and yes! even almond milk which I drink. Good hot tea selection too. It was regularly monitored by always pleasant attendants to keep it stocked. We loved hiking in JTNP and now that we know there's a place like this nearby that's nearly as good as a condo, we'll definitely be back!

"Clean and Spacious rooms"
williamdJ1611QC, 25 Octobre 2017

Stayed at 3 different locations on vacation in southern California. This location was by and far the cleanest and nicest place we stayed. I would gladly stay here again, if our travels ever bring us back.

"Comfortable beds and quiet atmosphere"
Liberty N, 21 Octobre 2017

We came in for a photoshoot and just needed a cheap place to crash. Everything as expected. -Breakfast is mediocre but at least its complimentary. -There is a pool and jaccuzi on sight, but I saw nobody in it. -Quiet rooms -Loved how comfortable the beds are -Dark shades for rest -Large kitchenettes What made it 5 stars was them allowing us to check into our room at 12pm because we had been traveling and needed an afternoon nap. They were sweet and gave us an early check in.

"Extremely Dirty Room"
amy013773, 13 Octobre 2017

This place had very dirty carpet, bedsheets (seem to be so old that they were yellowish), and sofa chair (didn't even feel like sitting on it). We were supposed to stay at this hotel for 2 nights and ended up staying for only 1 night! It was terrible.

"Great Value"
markmcc001, 12 Octobre 2017

Great location, easy to access. Room was big, plenty of room and clean. Staff are friendly and helpful. Easy walk to local diners. The included breakfast is comprehensive. The only issue is the noisy refrigerator, when the motor kicks in in the middle of the night it sounds like a jet plane.

"Hotel"
desertroadrunner, 12 Octobre 2017

Very good hotel with wonderful hot breakfast and choice of many items. Coffee and water available throughout the day. Conveniently located and easy to find on main highway. Not far from Joshua Tree National Park.

"Great value great service"
C650SQlisar, 03 Octobre 2017

I have been staying at this hotel since it opened. It is always improving all aspects of the hotel. Most of the hotels in this area seem to fall into disrepair. Best Western is the exception and is always clean and continually upgrading. They have a great maintenance ethic.

"GOOD HOTEL FOR SHORT STAYS IN THE AREA"
srimanone, 30 Septembre 2017

We book this hotel every year for the big Bhaktifest- this hotel is convenient for all travels. Good breakfast and rooms are clean and spacious. Would def recommend staying here and enjoying the joshua tree area.

"Average hotel in a convenient location"
quij2000, 27 Septembre 2017

This is a clean, average hotel in a convenient location. It's good value for money. The AC did not function well in that the thermostat was broken so the temperature could not be adjusted. The breakfast is filling. They do not provide more than one towel. You have to ask for more if needed. The towels (like in many other Best Westerns) are very thin and poorly absorbent. The hotel is OK for business travelers and those just passing through the area for a few days.

"Room 108 is a bit noisy"
kmvfx, 20 Septembre 2017

Room 108--noise from refrigerator, upstairs plumbing and air conditioner went on throughout the night... good value for the money, location good for Joshua tree outings Rooms are clean, internet work well. Breakfast is a bit bland.

"Great clean hotel! Excellent value"
Keliganga, 18 Septembre 2017

I love this hotel and stay there every year for the nearby Bhakti Fest. It's well run, friendly staff, decent breakfast and clean! The bathrooms are immaculate, the coffee is flowing (much needed for the fest) and the breakfast is simply and nice. They even had almond milk.

"nice stay"
JALFAN, 17 Septembre 2017

We just stayed one nigh,t room was nice and clean. Check the AC we needed to change rooms, the staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms facing west are warmer from afternoon sun, the AC was able to keep the room cool. Did not try the breakfast, looks like its served in a nice room. In room coffee is good. Good hotel to use Best Western points, book on line and look for specials. Would stay again

"Clean, new and quiet - everything I want"
briangP3521QG, 05 Septembre 2017

I wasn't sure what to expect from this Best Western, I've been to a few Best Western's in the past that were not up to par. This one was beautiful, clean and quiet. Even though my room was adjacent to the elevator I never heard it nor any guests roaming the halls. That is a highly unusual for me. Really enjoyed it.

"Remarkably Clean, Amazing Service"
aimeeo320, 14 Août 2017

The Best Western - Joshua Tree is one that I keep coming back to in this area. Anytime friends or family need a hotel recommendation in the Yucca Valley - Joshua Tree area, I send them here. The hotel is remarkably clean, to the point where a remote is in a bag letting you know it's been cleaned, and the old comforter has been replaced with a clean sheet on top of a blanket, so you can sit on your bed worry-free. I'm not a big germaphobe, but it's nice to not have to think about these things. The value is also amazing! Especially with the AAA discount, we got a really nice, big room for the price. We had a few people staying in other rooms in the hotel, and we were able to easily accommodate 5 people to hang out in our King bed room, meant for two. Service was great this trip, but on a previous trip, it was beyond expectations. They were able to assist with advice on the area that helped considerably. Everyone from check-in, to special requests, to check-out was wonderful, funny, and immensely helpful.

"Best in the West"
253nikig, 14 Août 2017

This Best Western is an excellent choice, especially for Joshua Tree visitors. It is clean, comfortable, and in a good location. And breakfast was included! When I say breakfast, I mean protein as well as all the rest that you might expect in the morning to start off the day, which is a bonus if you are going into the National Park for some hiking or rock climbing.

"Always count on it."
thomasmG3932PA, 11 Août 2017

We always stay the this Best Western Joshua Tree suites each time we come to Yucca Valley to visit . Its always what we expect....well maintained and clean. We highly recommend this place, and will always come back on our return trips each year.

"Great stay"
lisbethg767, 09 Août 2017

I really like staying here, the staff were professional and the women who make our reservation was very nice and easy to approach. I would recommend this hotel to anybody. Also, if you have children it's a nice and clean hotel and safe for children.

"Very Comfortable, clean, with very helpful staff & owner/manager"
ikohlinsky, 08 Août 2017

The rooms here in the longer stay 'block' are large and comfortable with good beds. Ours even had a cooker. There is attention to detail with such things as Almond milk available at breakfast and Melanie makes good scrambled egg. Not the usual rubbery stuff. The management is not 'stingy' with coffee - a 24 hour Folgers coffee machine is available in the main hotel block, and the other supplies are always topped up, unlike some other places where the milk supplies dry up later in the day. The only comment I could make is that being in such a hot location, it would have been helpful to have had parasols along the side of the pool so that one could enjoy the sun or swimming and then cool a little. Parking was convenient and easy

"Very Disappointed"
S7813KEmichaelh, 05 Août 2017

I am out of words and have exhausted all other options. Then your toilet issue costed me 9600 in business I could not believe this had happened to me right after my birthday.. I wanted to leave but never wanted to waste my money,,

"Overnight stay"
Michael M, 31 Juillet 2017

Very Clean. Stayed for wedding in area. Friendly staff.Worked great for us.d.Good Restaurants in the area. Pool was on the small size but did the job.Close to everything in the area.Would recommend. Probably the best place in this small town.

"Ok hotel"
ttnb1226, 30 Juillet 2017

There is not much in this area to choose from so I can't complain too much. The staff was very friendly and the room we stayed was spacious! The breakfast was so-so. There was not many options and you have to ask for waffles. The only complaint that I had was that the sheets were dingy which gave me the creeps but I was so tired that I went with it. The last day we were there the elevator broke which was difficult to manage exiting the hotel with luggage but we got around it. I would stay again if I had to only because of the room size and great staff. I would recommend that the hotel get new linens in the near future.

"Don't Do it!"
737tarak, 27 Juillet 2017

This is not a clean hotel to stay at. My room was disgusting. The staff is very nice and the breakfast is good, but there was mold in the showed, cigarette burns on the bed, and no curtain to close so onlookers could look in on the first floor.

"Very pleasant stay!"
seejay123, 22 Juillet 2017

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and had a very pleasant stay. Our room had a sleeper sofa (but we didn't use it) and it was nice to have the extra room size. Breakfast variety was very good including eggs, cinnamon French toast, has browns, meat, cereal, etc. I would suggest more fresh fruit. Staff was extremely helpful and service oriented. Did not use the pool, internet or fitness center so can't comment on these amenities. Overall, great stay!

"Best Hotel in the area!"
roadtrippin2017, 14 Juillet 2017

This hotel is a great value. Not too expensive, compared to most hotels. The staff was very polite, and the buffet breakfast was awesome! The room we had was VERY clean. Even the blankets and sheets smelled clean, unlike the Super 8 down the street that we stayed at a previous night (where we also found a cockroach). The whole hotel was very well kept and maintained. Our room was large even though it was considered the "mini room". We always have great service and value with Best Western!

"Excellent place to stay"
N9607ZCloric, 05 Juillet 2017

Staff and rooms are great we would stay at this hotel anytime we are in Yucca valley. The breakfast is great plenty to chose from. Rooms are very clean and spacious and the bathroom is not like a closet plenty of room to move around in not like other hotel bathrooms

"Fine for a night"
mldollaz, 02 Juillet 2017

I stayed at the Best Western for one night while on business in the area. The staff was friendly and the lobby areas where clean. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The internet was also fairly fast. Here is what went wrong: - there were dead bugs on the air conditioner - the room smells like it was a smoking room, even though it says "no smoking" - the bathroom door does not stay open and therefore does not air out. It gets a bit of a musty smell. All in all, it was fine. But if I'm back in the area, I'll perhaps drive down the road about 30 minutes to Twentynine Palms.

"Clean and comfortable "
Robert S, 01 Juillet 2017

Stayed for several days while doing day trips to the Joshua Tree National Park. Our room was oversized and comfortable. Housekeeping and front desk staff were friendly and went out of their way to make sure we were ok. I'd stay again

"Enjoyable stay"
MI_Scout, 30 Juin 2017

Large room, big tub, clean, better than most in this price range. The day staff at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The pool was a little small. But it worked for an overnight stay. A full continental breakfast was available, on par with most today.

"Wonderful hotel near Joshua Tree NP"
evelynf686, 25 Juin 2017

enjoyed our stay on our way to Joshua Tree NP. Would return again. Clerk who checked us in was very helpful and provided information re: NP and heat safety (desert 100 + deg.) Clerk in morning provided good service and assisted in locating BW hotel for our next destination.

"Nice up to date facility"
Jonathan M, 23 Juin 2017

This was a nice clean hotel with all the modern amenities we've come to expect from Best Western. The location was right in town so we were close to the other points we needed to visit. Also the breakfast was great!

"Best Western is Best in Yucca Valley"
John R, 20 Juin 2017

Very good value for my money This hotel is the best in the area, I stay here whenever I'm in Yucca valley, CA, good breakfast comes with the stay. Nice pool in the summer. Close to middle of town, markets, restaurants etc, I recommend it to my family and friends.

"More than expected for price!"
rogerrT1433HY, 12 Juin 2017

Our hotel staff was extremely friendly. Our room amenities were amazing and i felt like we had a mini-suite! Ill be back and already have recommended to clients! Great location if you are staying to see Joshua Tree National Park! 10 minute drive to entrance of the park. Surrounding area has everything you need in case you forgot something! (like my auntie forgot her suitcase!)...everything she needed was only a few minute drive from Hotel!

"GREAT Yucca Valley Hotel"
luvnlife101, 11 Juin 2017

Had a WONDERFUL stay at this very nice, clean Best Western Hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff, Corey goes out of her way to make sure you are taken care of. Very good full breakfast and the dining room staff also make sure your breakfast experience is very enjoyable! Our second stay here and it will always be our go to hotel when we are in Yucca Valley!

"Clean Rooms with a Good Breakfast"
camelliagirl, 02 Juin 2017

Checked in late and relieved hotel rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was decent with the typical breakfast foods minus the waffle maker. Still good and got us off on a good start for the day.

"Excellent stay"
sylviam251, 26 Mai 2017

I was in town to attend a graduation and was very and relieved to find such a nice hotel available, for a reasonable price, and was impressed with the quiet room, the cleanliness, and the security I felt staying there alone.

"A very nice surprise"
spriyer, 25 Mai 2017

Yucca Valley is a tough, trailer-park kind of town, with not much on offer but shopping-malls and fast-food outlets. But this hotel is a pleasant and comfortable launching-pad for Joshua Tree National Park, ten minutes away. The rooms are big, and clean, the breakfasts are hot and tasty, and the service at the frtont-desk, especially from really kind and thoughtful Dana, is very friendly and helpful. They really try to make you comfortable here, and the rates remain very reasonable. You can stay in Palm Springs forty minutes away if you want campy, trendy, orange rooms; but this decent, all-American place will offer you everything you need for less than you expect. I was very happy to have chosen it.

"Easy, comfortable place to stay"
kevinwK7937MO, 23 Mai 2017

We have stayed at this hotel twice on our visits to the Joshua Tree area. The free breakfasts are wonderful and convenient and the hotel staff are always nice and friendly. Enjoyed our stay both times and will be staying there again next year.

"Good place for Contact in the Desert"
Sedonannie, 23 Mai 2017

This is the Best Western closest to the Joshua Tree Retreat venue for the annual Contact in the Desert conference. They are suites, so they have kitchenettes with big refrigerators. Also, you can get 3 bed suites for uneven numbers of friends attending. Free decent breakfast food & free Internet, so cuts down on the expenses.

"No Joshua No Trees"
nyc2trvl, 22 Mai 2017

I was ripping when I arrived at this place, principally because the name of this hotel is so deceiving, this property is not in Joshua Tree but six miles away from the town of Joshua Tree and a full eleven miles away from the entrance to the Joshua Tree National Park, which is a little too far to be claiming the name Joshua Tree. If you are looking for easy access to the park, this is not the place for you. The kicker is, there is a Best Western in Joshua Tree, surrounded by all the other properties in Joshua Tree, that have more claim to the name than the property in Yucca Valley. I completely felt ripped off before I even parked the car. This property is on the side of a highway, surrounded by strip malls, and not at all the experience you are expecting when you visit Joshua Tree in the first place. I booked for three nights and felt quite the fool looking out at yucca Valley strip malls and not a Joshua Tree in sight. I did want to change but would have to forfeit the first night, the second f u before I even got to the room. The property itself was not bad, breakfast is great, staff efficient but not overly willing to go out of their way and in the end it was just OK. I hated the place from the start because this property is Best Western Yucca Valley and not Best Western Joshua Tree. When I want to visit Yucca Valley I will consider this place, but never again for Joshua Tree or Joshua National Park.

"Joshua tree park"
holusa, 22 Mai 2017

We stayed there for two nights. Very friendly stuff. The rooms are big. Beds are comfortable. The hotel is ten minutes drive from Joshua tree park.breakfast was varied enough and it is included in the room rate.

"Quiet, clean hotel with friendly staff"
Barbara F, 17 Mai 2017

We stayed here for two nights while visiting Joshua Tree National Park. The location is great for access to the park. It is a quiet and clean hotel with staff who go out of their way to assist you with your needs. The breakfast was very good, and the breakfast room was open 24/7 if you wanted tea, coffee, hot chocolate or water.

"Chain hotel"
SIrLancelotBCN, 14 Mai 2017

One of the cheaper options for a last minute stay around Joshua Tree NP. Rather sterile, but very clean room, comfy bed. Swimming pool is a bit oddly located. Only thing that I found annoying is the location of the A/C, under the window, it also made a lot of noise.

"Great Place to stay"
Robert H, 11 Mai 2017

This Best Western is a great place to stay after visiting Joshua Tree National Park. Rooms are clean and staff is pleasant. There are plenty of restaurants nearby too. Good breakfast before getting on the road again.

"Stay at best western"
michael H, 01 Mai 2017

They never thanked me for being a platium member I stay at a lot of Best Western hotels. And your hotel is about in the middle. The beds are hard and old. Other than the beds and the issue for not thanking me for being a platium member

"Great Trip"
92marcellae, 21 Avril 2017

I called a couple of hotels in the area before making a decision to stay at BW. I couldn't get the competing hotel staff to quote me a price for a nights stay via cell phone. One lady actually informed me that I would have to go to her hotel in person in order to get the info I needed. It was a pleasure to speak with the BW staff by phone and in person. They were informative, professional and friendly. Trifecta!!

"Comfy home away from home."
mariasB7048XN, 17 Avril 2017

Love the warm hospitality, clean rooms and reasonable price! If visiting the Joshua Tree, this is my go to place! if you're paying a visit to the glorious Pioneertown, I cannot recommend this place enough!

"Western, But Not the Best"
ebdb627, 15 Avril 2017

The Best Western Joshua Tree was clean and relatively comfortable, but the service was not particularly concerned or efficient. While the price for a room was certainly reasonable, there was little in the way of amenities. The pool was closed, as it was under repair.

"Great stay and location"
SusanLosAngeles, 13 Avril 2017

The hotel was an excellent location for visiting Joshua Tree National Park. Room was comfortable and had a small refrigerator for storing drinks and snacks. Nice breakfast selection. Close to grocery stores for picking up food for visits into park. Room was large and hotel was quiet. Would stay here again.

"Family wedding"
manuelcA7910MA, 12 Avril 2017

The rooms was clean, but the a/c fan was loud. The maintenance came and worked on it but he couldn't fix it. The next night we went to use the heater and that didn't work, blowing cold.we weren't offer another room

"Value for Your Buck"
Marc C, 12 Avril 2017

This seems to be an older property, but kept in decent condition. The kitchenettes are well-equipped, but don't forget your own plates, cups, glasses, silverware, paper towels -- basically anything you'll need to cook and/or warm up and/or eat on. The bed was very comfortable. However, three living-room chairs but no table/hard-seated chair, and no side table on one side of the king-sized bed made placing glasses, dinner plates, etc. for 2 people a rather make-shift process. THE STAFF is a totally different story. Everybody was extremely helpful and courteous without fawning. Great, wonderful staff from check-in to check-out (3 nights).

"Everything was great other than the noise level - super noisy!!!"
Michelle K, 11 Avril 2017

I must have had the worst room as far as noise in the entire hotel - #109. Don't stay in that room if you like quiet. First of all, the walls must either be thin or the people in the room next door had the TV at full volume - I had to put in noise cancelling ear buds to drown out the noise and sleep. Then I had the pleasure of a neighbor with a barking dog and baby. Argh. And then at 5:00 in the morning I had the joys of listening to the staff chat and bang around either in the laundry room or business center or getting ready for breakfast or all 3...I don't know. Needless to say, it was not a restful evening. On the plus side the hotel is very clean, the room was wonderful and big and even had a whirlpool tub which I enjoyed. The breakfast was the standard HIE fare and good. The staff was nice and friendly. But overall I probably wouldn't stay here again just because of the noise. It was annoying for the price I paid for the room. I just booked an HIE room in Vegas with a Strip view and it was cheaper than this hotel in Yucca Valley for pete's sake!

"Suite room is great!"
335jackx, 07 Avril 2017

We stayed in a suite room and we liked it. The room has three beds and a kitchen. One bed has a separate room. it's great for a family of four. We also liked the free breakfast. The breakfast has variety of food selections.

"Reliable, Clean & Friendly"
flowerfun, 06 Avril 2017

I stayed two nights. the location is good for visiting the park and visiting the surrounding area. It's a well maintained property. The room was clean & comfortable. Bathrooms had all the usual Best Western amenities. Breakfast was better than most best-western hotels. Hot & cold food options. There is nothing remarkable about the property, it's a good value for Yucca Valley.

"Great Hotel near Joshua Tree"
517chid, 28 Novembre 2016

We had a great experience here Thanksgiving 2016. The room was clean with a large bathroom and countertop. Parking was a breeze. The staff was very helpful with my kids when they needed help connecting to wi-fi. I was happy the room was clean, updated and well-maintained. It was surprisingly quiet for a sold out weekend. I would come here again if we are back in the area. It costs a little more than others in town but it was worth it for the cleanliness.

"Good Hotel that could easily be better"
DavidLou, 22 Novembre 2016

This is a nice BW with nice rooms, friendly staff, and an adequate breakfast. It's surprising a property in this class would have such thin bath towels, though. And those thick pillows look pretty on the bed, but they are so hard to sleep on! Please place a couple of soft pillows on the bed like some of your competitors in this class.

"Excellent stay. Would stay there again without hesitation !!!"
D S, 21 Novembre 2016

I would recommend this hotel if you are staying in this area. The staff was the greatest. Friendly, helpful and professional. Breakfast was was excellent with lots of options. Liked the full kitchen and amenities.

"Great Breakfast!"
681bricec, 19 Novembre 2016

The staff was very friendly and the room was good. We had a good night's sleep at this hotel. The internet was also good. The breakfast was one of the best I've had at a hotel. Close proximity to Joshua Tree National Park.

"Nice stay, pet friendly, convenient, pretty location"
Melody C, 17 Novembre 2016

My daughter and I had a concert in Joshua Tree / Yucca Valley area and stayed a couple days at this hotel. Nice staff, very accommodating, Clean comfy rooms. The shower fixtures work a little oddly, but the shower is good. Breakfast was good, lots of choices, real eggs, bacon, sausage. French toast, cereal, strawberries and other fruit, juice, good coffee, tea etc. The hills/mountains are a calming pretty sight when you go outside!

"Joshua Tree Best Western"
F8784VQstephaniek, 16 Novembre 2016

This hotel is close to the park entrance, dog friendly which is a great bonus, includes a hot breakfast that is actually good food, friendly staff who do go out of their way to help you & is competitively priced. The parking was convenient and easy to access and they even offered grab and go brown bag snacks for free when you were on your way into Joshua Tree for a hike etc.

"Great stay and location"
gafina03, 12 Novembre 2016

We had a great stay. The location is about 10 minutes from Joshua Tree National Park. Nice town too. The breakfast at the hotel is a great way to start your day. The staff is very friendly. The bed is very comfortable.

"Oct 31 stay"
E8835WRkennethm, 06 Novembre 2016

Hotel is very clean and appears to be relatively new with large rooms, good WiFi as well as a good selection at breakfast. Staff were pleasant and helpful in providing suggestions for a place to dine for supper.

"Our stay at the Best Western in Yuuca Valley, California"
Jim K, 27 Octobre 2016

Very comfortable, clean, and great location for traveling through this area. Staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast , good selection and very tasty. Wouldn't stay at any other motel/hotel in Yucca Valley.

"Good Location near places I wanted to see"
Rebecca S, 24 Octobre 2016

This hotel is on the main drag of 29 Palms. I was not going to Joshua Tree, but Landers and Pioneer Town. It was perfect location. The hotel was clean and we were upgraded to a nicer room. Breakfast was nice, plenty to eat and the server constantly refreshed the hot food and bagels. The value of this room was great considering the prices of some of the "spa" p;aces in near by Palm Springs.

"Hidden Gem"
Joanette M, 21 Octobre 2016

The hotel was a pleasant surprise in this remote area. The room was large, clean and well worth the cost which was not bad at all. Would highly recommend for anyone staying in the area. Friendly and efficient staff.

"Solid, with a quirky shower."
David G, 17 Octobre 2016

Nothing fancy here, but clean and spacious rooms. Staff is friendly and helpful--I was able to check in early, and keep my room an extra hour past checkout. I was on the 3rd floor, and although the hotel was full, my only noise issue was from the fan, which was quite loud even on its lowest setting. Breakfast is basic--Raisin Bran makes me happy, but I wish the coffee was stronger. The shower is quirky--you have to pull up the ring on top of the bath spigot. Fortunately, my brother had a similar setup, or I might still be scratching my head. Overall, a solid choice if you're visiting Joshua Tree.

"The stay"
Alan V, 11 Octobre 2016

I own a small dog. When I travel overnight I cannot board the dog. There always seems to be a Best Western nearby where I need to go that will take a pet. They rooms have been very clean and reasonable. I have stopped looking around and I just locate the Best Western in the area.

"Nice motel"
Karin B, 11 Octobre 2016

Room was clean and decorated, set-up nicely. I wasn't happy paying $164 for 2 people as they only had a room with 2 queen beds that was a kitchen unit. I should have looked for another motel but was too tired at the time. Yucca Valley motels are usually under $100 per night for 2 people.

"Good stay."
Dianne F, 08 Octobre 2016

Good spot for an overnight stay. It was pretty close to Joshua Tree N.P., which is why we were there. Make sure you go into the park in the evening to see the sunset. (Keys View) Very interesting park. Lots of cool boulders and of course, Joshua trees. I felt like I was in an episode of The Flintstones LOL. Check out Arch Rock. This would be a cool place to camp.

"Great Staff!!"
Sue11sandwich, 30 Septembre 2016

We booked this hotel last minute. Thankfully there was a room available. Upon arrival we were greeting by Erica who was so sweet and personable, she is this hotel's greatest asset. I do not like first floor rooms, but we did not have a choice, the room was clean and spacious and it had a Jacuzzi.

"Nice Place"
sherry u, 26 Septembre 2016

The room was very clean, but we could hear the doors from the other rooms being closed. We would stay again as we have friend down in this area. This is one of best hotel around Yucca Valley, CA. The breakfast was good and the selection was OK.

"Great Place to rest your head"
Eric H, 20 Septembre 2016

This Best Western Hotel is nicely appointed, roomy rooms, great bed, very clean, and chock full of nice helpful people. What more could you ask for? Oh yes, the views from the room are panoramic. This is the best you can ask for in this remote location.

"pillows"
Jennifer S, 30 Août 2016

lousy pillows out of four of them none were comfortable, seems like all were filled with cut up lumps of hard foam rubber. the hotel would be fine if only i could slept. after a long drive a good nights sleep is looked forward to. and that is basically best westerns product .

"What can I say, we will stay there again."
Jim F, 24 Août 2016

That is if we return to the Joshua Tree National Park and that is likely. This establishment is very conveniently located near the parks Western entrance. We arrived late without notice but the rooms we had reserved were still available. Not to be ignored in an area where cell phone service is spotty. The accommodations were clean, modern and quite comfortable. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Especially at breakfast. By the way try their biscuits and gravy at breakfast. Best among the other BW's!

"Great Option for Joshua Tree Visit"
Elliemay72, 22 Août 2016

I stayed here for two nights while visiting Joshua Tree National Park. Before my stay began, I had to call the property to inquire about a pet friendly room. The person who answered the phone was very friendly and answered all of my questions. Check-in was a breeze, and our room was clean for the most part, and well accommodated. We had a good-sized mini-fridge in our room that worked very well, as did the tv and wifi. The only two issues I had, were there was a dead cockroach on the floor of our room, and the alarm clock kept making weird noises. Unplugged the alarm clock, and the cockroach was dead so it didn't bother me. None of his brothers or sisters came to visit during my stay. :-) The room featured a whirlpool tub, which was divine! Even though our room was located on the first floor, right outside the elevator and lobby, we didn't have any issues with noise at all. Even though this property is VERY pet friendly, there were no issues with dog waste on the property. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast both mornings of our stay, and the staff was so friendly and pleasant. Both days, they offered to make waffles for us, which we enjoyed. Hot food included sausage/bacon, eggs, french toast, biscuits, gravy, hash browns, with our choice of muffins, danishes, toast, or bagels. They also offered hot and cold cereals, a variety of milk types, boiled eggs, tea, coffee, and a variety of juices. Definitely a good value! There are a number of restaurants and shops close by, and the hotel is within a few miles of the Joshua Tree NP entrance. Did not visit the pool, and the hot tub appeared to be out of order. Didn't matter, because we had a whirlpool tub in our room! Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. We would definitely visit this location again.

"it was just okay we made it work"
funntimes, 21 Août 2016

Not enough electrical outlets in some of these older motels, like this one. Four people mean at least 4 devices, but there weren't enough. Pool was very small and more like another hot tub. The location is good for Joshua Tree but there are other motels and towns that are also close to the park and we'll try next time.

"Nice hotel, very strange shower"
Chuenjit H, 16 Août 2016

This is a standard Best Western- that's a good thing. Just do yourself a favor. When you can't figure out how to get the shower to work rather than the tub to fill up, call the front desk. I'm neither a rocket scientist nor an idiot. However, none of the three in our party could figure out how to make water come out of the shower. Even better, ask about the shower when you check in.

"Best hotel in town"
advisor1956, 06 Août 2016

When you stay at this hotel, you might forget that outside the door is a dry, dusty, very hot desert small town. The staff is friendly and eager to help. The rooms are on par with the quality of much more sophisticated cities, and the included breakfast is above average. The price range is higher than everyone else in Yucca Valley, but so are the room standards and overall quality. By far.

"Best Western Yucca Valley"
Wendy G, 04 Août 2016

Friendly service, clean, spacious rooms, and extremely helpful front desk attendants, no matter what time of night it is. It's nice to be welcomed after feeling like we were bothering people at other hotels in the area, trying to get a room late at night. Ample parking and handicapped accessible rooms always seem available.

"a little above average BW"
Rocker_rep, 16 Juillet 2016

Their pool picture is a little deceiving. Its the smallest pool I've ever seen at any brand hotel. Our room was mostly clean but among the toiletries was a used, 3/4 empty bottle of lotion. Eww. Very few towels were in the room, altho front desk gave more when asked. We booked a Jacuzzi room for after hiking, and it worked well. However it was unusual to find the faucet far away from the edge, so you literally had to get in the tub to start / adjust the water. Nowhere near enough electrical outlets; we had to unplug a lamp to plug in a 2nd iphone. We most likely wouldn't not stay here again.

"Affordable, yet clean, comfortable and updated"
Melissa K, 25 Juin 2016

The staff will make you feel very welcomed, the breakfasts are so enjoyable and really saves time and money. The rooms are clean and it pretty much is as good as high-end hotels. Will return to this location every time.

"Nice, clean and quiet"
SandyR1010, 20 Juin 2016

A nice Best Western. Room was well kept and clean, staff was friendly. They had a water jug in the breakfast room that you could refill your own water bottle or Yeti with. Varied hot choices for breakfast and free wifi that functioned well. They had ample parking. It did take me a few minutes to figure out the shower, you have to pull down on the spout of the tub to make water come out of the shower head (not obvious by looking at it). Fitness room was small, had 1 elliptical, 1 tread mill, 1 stationary bike and a weight machine. I did not go to the pool but other in my party said it was basically a large tub. I did end up on the sleeper sofa one night, it was not very comfortable but the bed was.

"First rate service and hotel"
David O, 14 Juin 2016

Joshua Tree Best Western hotel is well kept property including great pool and work out room. Near shopping ,restaurants and tourist attractions. breakfast offers great choices including 24/7 tea and coffee...The bed is excellent with plenty of pillows. Room decor is neat as is microwave and refrigerator...Staff is courteous and professional...Dollar value?..The best bargain for business, pleasure and family.

"Exceeded Expectations, but......"
krispykreme90210, 05 Juin 2016

The A/C unit was very loud. Kept us awake all night. They also have a shower/tub combination. Couldn't figure out the shower. There was apparently a set of instructions that was supposed to be in the bathroom. Yes, the breakfast is OK. Staff works hard to keep everything clean and stocked up to par. I actually prefer the coffee out of the machine. It's consistent because it's made from hot water and concentrate. Wish I had one at home!. There is also coffee makers in the rooms.

"Perfect location for exploring Joshua Tree NP"
AngyOnFoot, 05 Juin 2016

This hotel is located close to the Joshua Tree National Park and a short drive to many stores/restaurants on 29 Palms Highway. After long days of exploring and hiking, this hotel was a calming oasis with its comfortable bed, free breakfast, and outdoor pool. My room even had a huge jacuzzi tub, which I used each night. Breakfast included hot selections, like eggs, sausage gravy/biscuits and breakfast meats. I had an issue with the TV not working, but staff was extremely helpful in their attempts to fix it. Parking was never an issue, even at night after returning from dinner and shopping.

"Yucca Valley stay"
Marlene P, 03 Juin 2016

We stay in this hotel quite frequently and have always enjoyed it. The staff is nice and helpful. Breakfast is OK. I would suggest staying in the extended stay part of the hotel as it is much quieter. If you want a great dinner go to the 29 Palms Inn in 29 Palms. Best place around to enjoy a good meal and glass of wine.

"Hot Tub in the Desert!"
Angela B, 01 Juin 2016

Spent a 3 day weekend recently as friends were getting married in Joshua Tree National Park (JTNP) About 30 mins from Palm Springs Airport. Room was decent - ones with kitchenette actually really nice - full size fridge, stove, microwave, etc. even dishes & flatware. Only negative would be closet space -iron/board takes the space. Complimentary breakfast was decent, incl. hot food, eggs, fruits, etc. 20 min drive takes you to a JC Penney & Marshals...you never know! Had dinner 1st night at Pappy's & Harriet - good food....long drive.

"Exceeded expectations."
Laurie E, 22 Mai 2016

This motel is very close to the Joshua Tree National Park. The rooms exceeded our expectations. They seemed seemed brand new and included a full kitchen, firm mattresses, and comfortable chairs. The rooms also had free internet and cable. Great value.

"Best Western Joshua Tree Hotel & Suites, Yucca Valley"
Lawrence M, 12 Mai 2016

This was a surprisingly comfortable hotel. I saw the hotels in the surrounding area and when I saw the BW, I was relieved. Nice breakfast set-up, clean rooms. Only issue that I had that was negative was when I was checking out it took a while because the receptionist at the desk kept having to take phone calls. I understand that it is your business and that's how you make money by taking more reservations, but also the person that is already there standing in front of you should be a priority. That's just how I feel. Other than that my visit was good, thank you.

"Great Location for visiting Joshua Tree National Park"
Brian R, 10 Mai 2016

I stayed the night in a third floor room while visiting the Joshua Tree National Park. The welcome was friendly and helpful and the room comfortable. There is a little traffic noise but not obtrusive. The breakfast was typical of the Best Western family of hotels so plus marks there for me.

"WAKE UP !!! It's 5AM.."
ragsdad, 06 Mai 2016

We just found out my better half Cookielee was going to get the weekend off, now we had to decide where to go on our next roadtrip. We decided on Joshua Tree Park, a short two hour drive from the OC. This was going to be a budget trip so I checked TA to see if we could find a Best Western, which is always our "go to" low cost choice hotel. We found one in Joshua Tree and managed to get one of the last available rooms, #109. We arrived in town early and enjoyed a full day of exploring the beautiful desert scenery and great hiking trails in the nearby park. Exhausted, we returned to the hotel to check in, and were happy to find a clean, comfortable room. Our only concern was that it was located on the first floor, as our top priority in hotels is getting a quiet room, suitable for sleeping in late on our day off. But everything else being good with the room, we took a soak in the jet tub and retired for the evening. I was in the middle of a great nights sleep when at 5AM we were awakened to the sound of people talking on the other side of the wall behind our headboard. The talking soon became the sound of pots, pans and other cooking utensils being thrown into a metal sink. I arose and called the front desk and was informed that my bed backed up to the kitchen, where breakfast was being prepared. We were unable to return to sleep, and with no where to go, spent the next two hours laying in bed listening to the kitchen staff. Later, as we were preparing to leave, I poked my head into the kitchen to see if the work station was indeed on the other side of the wall as I had imagined, I found it was. It was at this point that I encountered the breakfast cook, he asked what I wanted and when I told him about being awakened at 5AM, he stated that I had NO reason to be upset as he was only doing his job, his terrible customer service attitude only upset me more. I lodged a complaint with the front desk staff and departed. Later in the morning while driving home I missed a call from the manager. A couple of days later, I was finally contacted by Manager Steve Koo, who patiently listened to my rant, then apologized and offered me a partial comp and some other discount goodies to make up for the inconvenience. He also listened to my suggestions regarding hanging a sign on the kitchen wall reminding staff of the nearby guest room, and moving the bed in room 109 to the opposite wall so as to distance it from the noisy work station. Despite our inconvenience, we found this to be a nice, clean, reasonably priced hotel located in a wonderful area, and will stay here when we return to finish exploring Joshua Tree. My thanks go out to Manager Steve Koo and his friendly front desk staff who went out of their way to make up for a bad incident, I'll see you next time, just don't book me into #109.

"A good choice for a hotel"
Daniel T, 29 Avril 2016

The rooms were clean, and the staff was very nice. We had no problems with the hotel, though the pool was broken at the time. Otherwise, it was a pleasant stay. The continental breakfast was surprisingly nice.

"Great hotel in a good location"
ColnbrookTravellers, 27 Avril 2016

This is a great hotel for visiting Palm Springs and Joshua Tree National Park but in a quieter location. Rooms are good and well appointed, ours included a kitchenette with enough facilities to prepare a meal in the room and a very large fridge/freezer. The surrounding area initially looks like there is not much around but a few miles down the road is a number of shops and more restaurants and the local area turned out to be very interesting, especially Pioneertown.

"Good Coffee please!"

"Quiet, Comfortable and Curtious"
haddaddrum, 25 Avril 2016

Stayed one night at this Best Western in Yucca Valley in April of 2016 and had a very pleasant stay. The staff was very attentive and helpful. Always at the front desk and always answered the phone when we called. The room we had was big! Very large and comfortable... nice king size bed. We stayed in the back on the third floor away from the highway and it was super quiet. The hotel accommodate all our requests (a room in the back not on the 1st floor) and were very nice and attentive. I would recommend this place as it seemed to be the nicest hotel in the town. Glad we stayed there, would come back again.

"Pool and Spa not working"
DALE S, 25 Avril 2016

My wife and I came to Yucca Valley to visit with my brother and his family. And I wanted to do some hiking in the nearby Joshua Tree National Park. My wife does not like hiking as she finds it difficult due to a physical condition. So she said, "Just find me a hotel that I can just hang out by the pool and exercise while you hike." Before booking your hotel I called to confirm that the hotel and spa were operational and I was told it was. Imagine my wife's disappointment that the pool and spa were NOT functioning on our arrival! Now what was she to do while I was hiking and my brother and his wife and there kids were off at school and work! She just "hung out" and I modified my plans for shorter hikes so that she was not to get too bored. We did our best to entertain ourselves by shopping in a town that is not known for its shopping. When I discussed the issue with the manager "Steve" he merely gave me a bunch of excuses. I enjoy staying at Best Western properties. As a mater of fact I am a rewards card holder and have gathered large amounts of points over the years and used those points with joy. But honestly I will think again before booking with Best Western in my travels as well as recommending the chain to my friends.

Yunghua C, 23 Avril 2016

Nice king-sized room. Good breakfast selection. Shower button is bit tricky. We asked hotel staff to show us how to operate shower. Good TV. We only spent one night for a trip to Joshua Tree National Park. In general, very good hotel.

"Best in the area"
Gabriellest, 18 Avril 2016

Very nice, clean and quiet hotel in the high desert. Bed was firm and very comfortable. Free breakfast okay. Staff very friendly. I did not even consider the other hotel/motels in the area. This one is the best...look no further.

"weekend retreat"
lastres0rt, 13 Avril 2016

Spent one night here with a friend and was the best hotel I've stayed at in the area. Friendly staff, very clean room and great breakfast with smoothies too! Hot tub was clean and a nice way to relax after yoga and a long hike. Will stay here again!

"The quality you expect!"
Dot Zumba B, 12 Avril 2016

I just spent one night here, everything was great! A great pool with hot tub and a wonderful breakfast bar. This hotel was located close to everything, Walmart, gas, food, etc. The drive to Joshua Tree National Park wasn't too far as well.

"Good value"
MargerySilverton, 11 Avril 2016

The price is right. We got a two room suite, which was more than we needed but it was good value so we took it. The hotel is very adequate for most needs...not high end, but reasonably comfortable. The hot tub pool was a nice end for our day hiking in Joshua Tree.

"All around Excellent"
Bill P, 08 Avril 2016

Everything exceeded my expectations, we reserved the 2 room suite, easy check-in and out, everything was clean from the parking lot to the bathroom, the kitchen was fully equipped except the wine bottle opener was hard to find but otherwise we were very comfortable and will definetely return. BTW the valley has many hidden attractions so do your homework.

"Very good value!"
Chin Cho C, 06 Avril 2016

Good price for the room and services. There are twin beds to fit our 4 people travel. The room is clean, bath is clean and overall very good for the price. Will stay in this hotel again if I go the same place.

"Great stay!"
krg8r, 04 Avril 2016

Loved this hotel! Clean and spacious room. The bathroom was very nice and had nice towels. We came in late so we didn't get to the pool. Staff was very friendly at check in and check out. Coffee , tea and hot chocolate were available all the time. Breakfast was great! Lots of options. And they made sure that everything was replenished as people were coming and going. I would stay here again!

"Loved it! "
Emerson T, 01 Avril 2016

The check in/out was smooth and easy, we were allowed early check in. The breakfast was good with a large dining room, fantastic location in Yucca Valley. Staff were friendly, room was clean and comfy. Hotel is very close to Joshua Tree. Great place!

"Hotel convenient to Joshua Tree National Park"
John E, 31 Mars 2016

This Best Western property was very clean, guest room was quiet, and all amenities were in working order. The operation of the shower took a little bit of time to figure out, though. It's proximity 11 miles from the entrance to Joshua Tree NP was appealing. There were options for shopping to stock up on our needs during our drive through southern California on our way to Arizona.

"No PETS"
Robert C, 28 Mars 2016

I was told there was no charge for pets and upon check-in I was charged $20/pet/night. There are not many options after driving all day and exhausted. Then the printer in the business center would not work. The staff seemed to think the whole event was humorous.

"Gave us the wrong room and attitude"
MattInLA, 27 Mars 2016

The front desk agent did not know the rooms and gave us the wrong room/rate. Next morning proceeded to argue with me that my room with a king bed, two chairs and no sofa (as I paid for) definitely had a sofa in it. Housekeeper informed her she was wrong, but agent insisted it was my fault. The room was a normal, fine room. No issues with cleanliness. Just bad hospitality from the front desk. Last time I stay there.

"Nice place to stay."
AF_Hiker, 25 Mars 2016

I stayed here for 3 nights. The room was clean, and the free wifi ran smoothly. The breakfast is pretty good, but can be very crowded at certain times of the morning. Luckily, I was in a room right down the hall, so i was able to eat in my room. The hotel is convenient to the western entrance to Joshua Tree National Park, although it is a several mile drive. There was a little confusion upon checkout, as the clerk said I wasn't supposed to check out until Sunday. I checked out on Friday, which was the correct day, so I don't know where the confusion came from. Once we got that straightened out, it was fine. Overall, this is a nice place to stay.

"Nice easy hotel"
travelgirl07, 25 Mars 2016

Great location for hitting up pappy and Harriet's as well as Joshua Tree. Very clean hotel with modern conveniences. I would note that the walls are thin so maybe bring ear plugs. Ample parking and free breakfast. Beds were adequate not the best the pillows.

"Good Experience"
Suzanne W, 24 Mars 2016

Very clean, nicely kept hotel. More modern than we expected in such a small town. Breakfast was good, staff was nice, room was nice! Pool was small, but it was too cold to swim anyway. But it looked very clean, as did the Jacuzzi.

"Nicest Property in Yucca Valley"
Rick A, 23 Mars 2016

Great Front Desk Staff and GM at the Best Western. Rooms are very clean and nice size if you get a Suite. Lots of parking, although the lot will get full when the hotel is sold out. Very nice comp breakfast. Beds are comfortable and seemed newer. All rooms with Flat Screen TV. The shower is amazing. The only drawback is the WiFi does not work when the hotel is full or even 1/2 full. The GM advised that he will be updating the system this year. If you MUST have WiFi for your entire stay, then I recommend checking with the hotel 1st to make sure it is working.

"no complaints"
Guy G, 14 Mars 2016

we always stay here while passing through the good old mojave and we always have a pleasant stay. The staff is friendly and we love the free breakfast in the morning... It helps to start your day and makes you feel appreciated as a guest.

"Good value"
CleveKen, 13 Mars 2016

It was clean and convenient. Close to the park and was one of the better priced options. I wouldn't stay here more than a night, but it served our purpose. It allowed us to watch the sunset in Joshua Tree and get into the park early the next day before it got too busy. Staff was very friendly and..well you know a cheap breakfast is what it is.

"Easy Access To Joshua Tree National Park"
steve4travel, 12 Mars 2016

Nice room and facilities. Foul sewer odors in the west end parking lot. Breakfast was not refilled for hot items and staff seemed indifferent. We were very happy being able to travel in and out of the park within about 15-20 minutes. This was our primary concern as I am a photographer and need to travel at certain times for lighting.

"our stay"
Roger B, 06 Mars 2016

Our stay was excellent. From the friendly staff who took our reservation, the ones who checked us in and out. to the clean room, and comfortable bed. No to leave our the breakfast as good for travelers. Thank you.

"DO NOT STAY HERE - The name is Best Westen, but it is Franchise"
Arlien C, 28 Février 2016

NO WORDS CAN describe the pain Steve (the MGR Aka Owner) caused our family. We were thrown into the street 500mi away from home, and OUR PERSONAL belongings dumped like trash (see pictures ) all because of a misunderstanding on our reservation during oue 13rd old niece's funeral. STEVE IS HEARTLESS, He KNEW (his employees told him) we were at church & he still proceeded to dump our belongings because they "DOUBLE BOOKED " the room and check out time was noon. Thinking we had room reserved till Sunday we left all our belongings in the room not thinking twice. It was then a family member notified us if we didn't arrive immediately our stuff would be in the trash and cops called. I tried to pay for Late check out but Steven Kept lying lie about calling us and us avoiding him - well where your phone records??? Steve out right lied! No calls were made to us!! Never thought a prestigious brand like Best Western would operate as such. Dealing with death, at a funeral and being lied and threatened then Tossing our stuff like trash 1hr past checkout time, with ZERO communication beforehand is the most unprofessional way to manage business. The cherry on top. Steve hid from my husband, and had his front desk girls take the heat. Grateful for these ladies who had compassion for our trouble yet had no control over the situation and we're following the boss's orders! STEVE THE FRANCHISE OWNER IS A HORRIBLE REPRESENTATION OF BEST WESTERN AND THE STANDARDS YOUR BRAND REPRESENTS. Also, while the free breakfast looks amazing beware! All uneaten food on display that has been touched and out all morning is put back into Rubbermaid containers for the next day! GROSS, nothing worse than watching Lil kids grab food put it back then see the employees store it for use the next day!!!

"Spacious and Comfortable"
Lorrie G, 27 Février 2016

The room was very spacious and clean. It was comfortable. The hotel is in a good location. My mother is physically impaired and the room and breakfast area were conveniently accessible for her to use her walker. The staff were very helpful and pleasant.

"Roomy and comfortable with outstanding breakfast"
drillerboy, 24 Février 2016

The front desk was friendly and helpful at check in. Parking was very convenient to the entrance and there was an elevator very close. The curtains ar decorative, they do not close at all and we wanted it dark to nap after a long day of travel. There was a shortage of conveniently located outlets. The bed and room were comfortable. We heard no noise. The internet was fast at times, not so fast other times, but we did not try the available wired connection or the business center. Breakfast was outstanding. The usual fare, plenty of it. The sausage and scrambled eggs were as good as you will find anywhere. Coffee was good, plenty of real half and half, and real yogurt, I am not a fan of the diet variety. Give me real sugar, real fat, real butter, etc. The breakfast room was spacious. We have not checked out the pool or laundry or hot tub yet. We looked in the exercise room, a decent treadmill, elliptical trainer and recumbent bike and a multi-station weight machine. Everything we saw was clean and well maintained. Our experience with Best Western around the country has been pretty uniformly good.

"Decent hotel for the price, but NOISE ruined it"
Heather D, 15 Février 2016

Was put directly next to the exercise center and someone decided to work out at 10:30pm at night. The treadmill was directly next to my headboard. Nice hotel/staff, but that totally ruined the experience.I even specifically asked for a quiet room and that's what I ended up with.

"Immediate Disappointment"
annmsh2014, 12 Février 2016

Unfortunately, this is night #1 of a 3- night stay. Upon check-in we were told that the pool is being painted, so its closed. Why would they choose to do that on a holiday weekend?! One of the reasons we chose this place is because of the pool. The "double" suite has 2 full-size beds. That is what is stated on the website, but the room is huge and can easily accommodate 2 queen beds. The walls are paper thin. I can hear every word being said by the family in the room next door. There is a lot of traffic noise, and I can actually hear neighborhood noise. I WAS looking forward to staying here, but now I dread the next 2 nights

"The Old Un in Joshua Tree"
The0ldun, 10 Février 2016

Bath/Shower conversion evaded me, there was a hidden ring under the bath faucet which had to be pulled down. I had not experienced this before, but once operated the experience of having two jets directed at you, was novel. Back to the Hotel, this custom built Hotel and Suites, is one of the best "values for money" that I have experienced.

"solid place"
Patrick K, 26 Janvier 2016

good clean room. great breakfast. right on the main strip so u can get anywhere. we had easy access to Joshua Tree National Park about 5mi down the road. nice Mexican restaurant next door is open 24hrs if you need a solid late night snack like I did. the staff was kind and attentive. next time I am back in the upper desert, I will be staying here

"joshua tree break - excellent!"
Nick L, 23 Janvier 2016

Best Western Joshua tree is great - well situated for the National Park and surrounding area plus they offer a great service and value for money. the hotel was very clean, staff were efficient and friendly and the place was overall very comfortable.

"Good Place. Great Hot Breakfast."
Lego23, 20 Janvier 2016

Well appointed clean rooms. One of the better breakfasts I have had in any of these range of hotels. eggs, french toast, waffles made to order....good to load up before a long day of activity. about 6 mi to west entrance of the park.

"poor quality with little cleanliness"
Alexandra H, 19 Janvier 2016

Motel was picked by employer and was way below what we are used to. Had to ask for the bedding to be cleaned every day. Sheets were threadbare and pillows were poor. Noise due to sliding front door located next to our room was horrible and seemed like the doors were used all night. Poor security .

"Quite a Good Hotel, Just Needs Attention to Details"
awm1971, 10 Janvier 2016

Quite a good choice for the proximity to Joshua Tree National Park. Rooms are quite large and relatively well equipped. Location is on the main road but it is relatively quiet in the hotel. Provided breakfast is good but the eating area can be a little small for the number of people who want to use it in the last hour of the allotted time. We maybe caught them at a relatively busy time, but there were a few niggles which prevented me from giving 5 stars. The room wasn't ready when trying to check in at 4pm, the provided non-smoking room had the odour of someone having recently smoked in it, the WiFi didn't work the first night the front desk pushed me to tech support who were not able to resolve the probem, and the plumbing blocked which needed a bit of chasing up to correct.

"A great choice"
theobo, 05 Janvier 2016

We stayed at the Best Western on the night before our visit to Joshua Tree NP. Great location on Twenty Nine Palms highway. A number of restaurants and stores within walking distance. The room was clean and well maintained. Staff was very attentive. Breakfast was good - some hot items, breads, juice, coffee, cereal. For the price, it is an excellent value.

"Road stop motel"
jeffreyj356, 31 Décembre 2015

This is your typical overnight stay motel. Nothing fancy, don't show up without a reservation. It is usually crowded as there is nothing any better for miles. The value for the room is good. Hopefully your room will be ready when you arrive.

"Clean, Warm, Friendly - Great Stay"
Amita S, 21 Décembre 2015

Nested here for visit to Joshau Tree Park. The place is really clean, the bed is really nice, free breakfast and wifi, friendly staff. Its honestly a great place to spend a few nights while visiting joshua tree park.

"Perfect Stay"
JenniferLagunaBeach, 14 Décembre 2015

The Best Western Joshua Tree Hotel and Suites, Yucca Valley was perfect from start to finish. Every employee, from check-in to check-out, was so friendly and helpful. The room was fresh, linens super clean with comfy pillows on top. The breakfast was very good and had everything anyone would want. We will be back.

"Best Western is Best in Yucca Valley"
John R, 01 Décembre 2015

Great value hotel very clean and centrally located, very friendly staff, good breakfast in the morning, responsive to guests needs I will continue to use Best Western when I am in Yucca Valley I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Very well lit at night. Thank you very much for a good nights sleep.

"Good Hotel"
Christine C, 01 Décembre 2015

The location of the hotel is on the main road, so it is close to all the different shops. All washing maschines were new and clean. Rooms were clean and appropriate for the price. It is very quiet, good for a nice sleepin. The personnel was helpful and friendly.

"Very Nice Venue"
retdeltee, 23 Novembre 2015

We chose BW Joshua Tree because it was a quality hotel at a good price and very central to the places we needed to go while in Yucca Valley and Palm Springs. We plan upon returning to the area in the and will definately consider Best Western as our primary hotel.

"Great Stay!"
Mark F, 15 Novembre 2015

This hotel is conveniently located on 29 Palms, close to many restaurants and shops, just 20 minutes from Joshua Tree National Park and about 15 minutes from Pioneer Town. The rooms are spacious and very clean. And the staff was exceptional - very friendly and worked hard to make our stay welcoming and comfortable. Free in room coffee service and wifi. And a complimentary breakfast. Overall a great stay.

"Slept nicely"
Shaun O, 15 Novembre 2015

Had a great experience. Check in was fast and the creature comforts were perfect. It was a last minute check in due to work. The front night desk staff was very helpful. The quality of the room was exactly what I expect at a Best Western...perfect.

"Perfect!"
Netsirk0601, 01 Novembre 2015

This hotel has everything you could want. Every where was spotless, I honestly couldn't fault a thing. Kitchenette has everything you need, large fridge included. Bathroom is spacious, clean, no mould or signs of age. Very comfy beds and pillows. The staff were friendly and helpful. There is a laundry on site and only $1 per load of washing. I am very picky when it comes to hotels and very rarely would give one 5 out of 5, but this place was beautiful. Only thing I could fault was the tricky shower but it comes with instructions and is quite easy once you read them. And once you work it out, it's a really nice shower with optional wall mounted jets - bliss! The other thing was that the a/c was quite noisy, even on the low setting. But it was a constant noise and the temps here really mean you don't need a/c overnight. Plus you could adjust the a/c temp and have it as fan only. A lot more options than most hotels. We had a beautiful, relaxing and enjoyable stay here and would highly recommend it to anyone.

"Disappointed"
Superagent84, 01 Novembre 2015

We checked into the hotel and all seemed fine. The next day we had the do not disturb sign on the door until we left the hotel at 11:30. As we left the room I removed the sign from the outside of the door and put it inside the room. When we returned to the hotel at 4:30 no one had cleaned our room. When we inquired we were told housekeeping had gone for the day. When I spoke with the manager I was told we had the sign on the door so it was not cleaned. He would check with the housekeeper. Well the housekeeper must have either lied or never bothered to come back and check the room. We were given fresh towels and $29.99 off the bill for the night. To top it off my husband later found ants in the bathroom. The room has no temperature setting on the air conditioning and the room was very warm. All in all not a good stay.

"Friendly and Clean"
Cindy G, 21 Octobre 2015

I am really picky when it comes to a motel/hotel. I do not like dirty places and rude people. I will honestly pay $100 more for a one hotel then another if they were next door to each other based on this. So if you want to feel at home in a clean friendly place book this hotel and no other on twenty nine palms

"our stay"
Marlene P, 19 Octobre 2015

We stay at this hotel often and for the past year or so it has gotten better with each stay. This is a nice time of the year to visit Yucca Valley and Joshua Tree as the temperatures are much nicer. La Casitas Nueva is a good Mexican restaurant to eat at.

"Best Choice in Yucca Valley"
MrsHarnitz, 14 Octobre 2015

Growing up in the Yucca Valley area I know first hand that hotel choices are not exceptional. The Best Western made me completely rethink that thought. The hotel was very nice, clean and breakfast was amazing. One of the best hot continental breakfast I've seen, My only complaint was the temperature of the spa, like luke warm bath water. Ethernet was fast, television reception was great.

"Quality as expected but don't be late for breakfast"
James B, 13 Octobre 2015

The hotel was what you'd expect for the price but if you're traveling on vacation don't sleep in as the breakfast disappears promptly after 9 am. Having an in-room kitchenette is nice however if the guest before you burned dinner the smell is there to stay.

"Good place to stay"
John R, 04 Octobre 2015

This is a good hotel, clean, employees are very nice. breakfast is good, I would recommend it to friends and family. Fix the little things torn black out shade, broken air cond. cover. All is good, I will come back again. thank you for a good stay. Put non slip strips in bath tubs for safety.

"Don't stay if you use priceline.com!"
AZGirl2014, 02 Octobre 2015

Room was great--at first. All night there was noise and vibration thru the room-thump, thump, thump. Even with high grade ear plugs could not sleep. Called the front desk and the lady said "you are near the stairs and someone may be doing exercises." This went on ALL night. With priceline you get a 20% discount but when you call the motel all you can get is a king bed room. We wanted two queens. They said that would be another $20. upon check in. The shower was very complicated-has a card with directions. The shower head was positioned so high I could not reach it. When I turned it on it was either broken or it created a vacuum as it sucked the curtain into the tub and flooded the bathroom. What a huge mess to clean up for the 30 seconds the shower was on! Never got a moments sleep despite Tylenol PM and other sleep meds which usually knock us out. Staff was unhelpful. Left there and went to another motel which let us check in at 9am so we could get at least 4 hrs sleep before our appointment. The rest of the stay the sleep at the other motel was great!

"An Oasis in the Desert"
Frank M, 22 Septembre 2015

The hotel was in a good location for our purposes. The property was quiet and clean and had an accommodating staff. It was nice to have a breakfast, when some hotels are moving toward no breakfast. We were traveling with family members, and we were able to spend time with them comfortably in our room -- which had a sitting area with couch and a bench.

"Very good roadside motel great service"
CANADIANOntario, 15 Septembre 2015

Very good roadside motel great service, clean rooms, pool was not the biggest but it worked. Manager was friendly and front desk staff were great!! He runs a tight ship!!!! Would definitely stay there again if we are in town

"Wonderful Stay"
Vfrphil, 14 Septembre 2015

Stayed here 1 night, on our road trip in USA. The room was the best one we had stayed in so far, Huge room with a nice bed and good air con. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast had various selections and was filling. Recommended place yo stay from me.
