SureStay by Best Western Ukiah

Gave our visit a "5" for the room - price, cleanliness, supplies and amenities (did not check for a pool). Our room also looks recently renovated with paint, flooring and sink/countertops. There was a detailed survey that I completed following our stay and I hope they take my new reno recommendations to heart as I found the location of the bathroom door, sink and clothes rack in an awkward potentially hazardous position. I am a person who wants small businesses to do well! I did not participate in the breakfast that was included with the price of the room (I have a special diet: whole foods, plant based, minimally processed). They offered Eggo type waffles, coffee, bag tea, packaged add ins, mini muffins, 2 types of store bought pastry, raisin bran, cheerios, milk and yoplait type yogurt.

Stayed here on August 23, 2024. First, this is a 'motel' with access to rooms on via the parking lot. The rooms have been remodeled and for the prices are good. There is no longer a full breakfast, just a few bread items and coffee. There were 2 bananas, but they had been there awhile. I would stay here again if passing through. The employee at check in was great, the one at check out was not. Management should spend some time coaching staff on behavior to patrons.

Although I've never had a problem with a Best Western in the past, I would not recommend this location - our room felt cold and unwelcoming (no carpet, no window in the 2nd room), staff was not friendly and the breakfast was not good at all...ended up having to go out for breakfast on our own.

We had a pleasant stay here. The hotel room was clean, internet connection was good. Air condition was good, that's so important when we had extreme heat weather. The location was very convenient right by the freeway. It was noisy but manageable. Breakfast was very basic and minimum. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here.

Very well maintained property. Breakfast was hot and fresh. Room was clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Water pressure was excellent! Nice 55“ TV. Much better value than down the road in Eureka. Easy on and off Highway 101. will definitely stay here on our next visit to the Great Northwest.

The motel looks like it is being upgraded but not quite completed. The breakfast, which we did not eat, was mostly sugary cereals, huge muffins, and other carbs. Not much fresh fruit. Eggs looked like powdered eggs.

Right off the highway easy to access big parking lot. There is a lot of restaurants around clean hotel the only down side was the breakfast was hoping for more of a variety missed having waffles in the morning like the other hotels I have stayed at. The lobby and my room was clean the lobby smell of cleanliness was very strong but not a pleasant smell maybe a different scent of cleaner?

They are economically priced rooms. Not a lot of amenities but easy access to stores. The continental breakfast could have some keto or diabetic options. And maybe some protein options would be better. Carbs and cereal don't count as a Continental breakfast to me

Road noise is one problem. Breakfast choice is minimal. Desk has no outlet to plug in your laptop. Alarm and fridge kept making noise, so I had to unplugged them. Room is clean, bed is comfortable, and the shower is great.

Pros: Ths room was very large. Bathroom also good size. Shower worked well, water was hot. Room had a mini fridge and a microwave. TV worked well, plenty of channels. The room appeared to be clean. Desk staff were friendly. Breakfast was fine. Nothing to rave about, but okay. Coffee was good. Cons: The bleach/disinfectant odor in the room was overpowering. Made my eyes water. Made it hard to sleep wondering how those fumes were affecting my health. The sheets were badly in need of replacing. The fitted sheet was extremely pilled and scratchy. Could tell they were low quality sheets that were well past their useful life. I would not stay again because of the two cons I listed. I'm very sensitive to odors and the sheets were the worst out of ANY place I've ever stayed.

The last few times we have stayed here the floors have been filthy. We have experienced mold on the ceiling in every room we have stayed in. We have decided that we will not be staying at Sure Stay in Ukiah again.

Came from Missouri for a last minute funeral. Sure Stay went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable.The staff was very caring. Easy access to Hwy 101 and lots of fast food close by. No addiction socializing and quiet guest.

The room was clean but smelled strongly of bleach. The lack of carpet made the room seem sterile. It was surprisingly quiet being so close to the freeway. We missed breakfast so coffee/tea in the lobby after 9am would have been nice.

Solid hotel from check-in to check out. The room was clean, the shower was spacious, and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast area was nice, the breakfast itself was ok, we could tell some items had been out for a little while. The noise from highway traffic was present, but that's the tradeoff of an easy off the highway hotel. All in all, we would stay again.

Everything was going okay, besides the smokers hanging at the pool and the overpowering disinfectant smell, until a women started screaming outside about bug bites and not being able to enter her room while her kids ran up and down the hallway also screaming. It took multiple calls to the front desk from our cell phones, the phone in the room wasn't working, and a threat of calling the cops to get an employee to help. So if you want to sleep, this isn't the spot.

Not a great place, not as nice as other Best Westerns. Had to clean my own room. Get new towels, take the trash out. They only clean every other day. If they charged less it might be alright. Not worth what I spent.

This hotel is well taken care of, the rooms are new, very clean and everything works. The Breakfast, included was tasty and hot biscuits and eggs and gravy was delicious. It was reasonably quiet, sitting a bit back from the main street out of time and all the "neighbors" were quiet in the evening.

We were traveling down HWY 101 from Seattle to Yuma, a 14 day trip going slow to see all the sites. We stayed at multiple Best Western Motels along the way. This motel was very good and meet all our expectations.

Very Nice Sure-Stay better than most SS. Very Large floor space; more than usual. Nice desk to use while in room. Freezer in fridge did better , it actually freezes (ice-cream) than most Hotels where the freezer units never Freezes The Manager was very Nice and Professional & understanding. Thank you.Tom. Great place to stay in Ukiah, California. Close to the Highway, shops and resteraunts. Staff was very friendly and the rooms were clean. Fast Internet and good breakfast provided. Would definitely stay again.

No issue with the hotel I would stay again but I prefer having my bedsheets with no human hair , other than that they have fridge, microwave, lots of old movies to watch, big shower, spacious, the pool was clean, variety of breakfast and cameras on site so they really care about the customers. Thank you

If you're not expecting the Ritz and are looking for a decent place to rest your head for a good nights sleep, this hotel might provide it. There's a lot to be said for cleanliness and reasonable cost.
