Best Western Estacion Central

Chose a Best Western b/c we have Diamond rewards status and use them often. When I found Santiago had one I booked it online through the BW web site and everything looks beautiful. When our driver picked us up at the airport, the first thing he asked was why we decided to stay in this neighborhood. He told us please don't go out at night so we did not. The next day we ordered an Uber to take us to the Historic District where we had a walking tour booked. Again our driver asked why this neighborhood. So to be fair ... apart from the area with it's homeless people sleeping on the streets and in the parks ... the hotel itself was just fine. It was clean and offered all the amenities that we needed. It had a lovely breakfast and some of the staff were able to speak a little broken English.

There were two elevators in the hotel and only one was working. We had to wait for an elevator for sometimes 10-15 minutes at a time, because it would skip our floor, pick people up at the top and then there was no room for us when it came back down. We were there for five days. That is way more than enough time to call a technician and fix the damn elevator. Clearly no one here cares about guest experience. And breakfast was disgusting. The eggs were liquid every morning. Not once were they cooked enough to be edible.

We stayed there for 3 days and 2 nights. We arrived before 9 am, way before our check in time. However, they provide us a room to store our luggage, which gave us a peace of mind and so we could use our time to tour around the city. All the staffs were good, and Samuel Rios at the front desk was the best. He handled our luggage storage and check-in. He was very friendly, efficient, and professional. He even helped me and my husband to book a day trip on the next day, which we hadn't planned before. Despite we asked him to book the tour after 6 pm, we got a phone confirmation at around 9 pm. The trip was fantastic as I wrote on another review in Trip Advisor. Both my husband and I really enjoyed the services here.

I believe some parking places are for people not staying at the hotel, I pay a private parking 1 mile away, NO upgrades for diamond members, the prices of the food at the restauran are very expensive..

The staff and amenities at this hotel are excellent! Very friendly, informative, and engaged staff and the rooms are spacious, clean, well appointed, and an exceptional value. The area in Santiago is not that great, however, and you must be vigilant of your surroundings, hold bags tight, and not display any jewelry, bags/purses, or phones in open sight.

This is an excellent hotel for the price, USD52 or AUD75 per night, twin room. We stayed for 6 nights. The room and bathroom were clean with fresh towels when requested. Beds are comfortable and pillows are soft. I always judge a hotel on the pillows! The hotel is in a slightly grungy part of town BUT it's within easy walking distance to the main Railway Station, Metro station and the airport Turbus terminal. It has an excellent buffet breakfast (included in the tariff) and the dinner menu is well priced. The staff were very helpful and provided us with a take-away breakfast on the morning we were departing before the restaurant opened. The hotel reception area has a refrigerator with cut sandwiches and drinks for sale. There is a currency exchange shop next door which gives a good exchange rate (unlike the rip-off at the SCL airport).

Excellent service front desk speak different languages and restaurants outstanding breakfast was upper, very recommended, quiet room and clean you can stay for business or whatever you want excellent choice to be in the middle of the city

I stayed one night in Best Western before continuing further to the coast. I knew the area was rather bad, and I wouldn't stay there longer, but for a short stay this was a good option: short bus or taxi ride from the airport, near metro and bus station and economic comparing to many hotels of similar style. My room was clean and had all the normal amenities - air conditioning, safe box, kettle etc. (although there was only a disposable plastic mug for cleaning teeth). The bed was good and there was even a nice armchair. The breakfast was varied and good. They told me it's ok to walk in the area before dark and there is a shopping center rather close, so it was easy to find food and basic services.

We were very happy with our stay at this hotel. Reception staff helped us book tours, gave us maps and pointed out places of interest. We used the Metro and it was really easy to get around and back to the hotel. It was well located for easy access to the Metro. Breakfast every day was good. We had dinner one night, lovely meal, great Pisco Sours. Overall really good stay.

Not a very safe location. One person got robbed of gold chain. Service and cleanliness were excellent .Did not have amenities like facial tissues and body lotion. Williams at the fron desk was very fluent in English and gave me excellent recommendation about tours and Chilean wine to buy.

Our room didn't have hot water in the shower and because of that we couldn't have had a shower. Because there was no hot water in the shower. We asked to fix it or change rooms, but nothing happened...It cercainly was the worst experiency we ever had

We were in Chile for 12 days before joining a cruise. We didn't know where anything was located in Santiago but tried to get somewhat near the airport and not downtown. We had a mall near the hotel, money exchange, pharmacy and grocery store all within a block. We were leery of the neighborhood at first, but actually felt safe in our hotel and got used to the surroundings.

I can highly recommend a stay in this hotel while in Santiago! This was super clean, the staff was so professional and helpful, the breakfast was good and the wifi worked perfectly. The location is quite hectic but it's like literally next to the Central station and the bus station, so if you are travelling by bus you have the best access to this hotel! Without a doubt I give this hotel 5/5 stars.

Spent 4 nights at BW Hotel Majestic. Great location - easy access to Hop On/Off Bus,restaurants,historical sites & shopping.Hotel is older but well kept & has great character.Staff were helpful.We had to make an emergency trip to hospital & Serj was amazing ! He made a difficult situation much less traumatic by his kindness.

My boyfriend and I had an overnight layover in Santiago, and decided to book this hotel last minute. It was only twenty minutes from the airport, so we figured why not grab an Uber and have a bed. We arrived around 1:30AM, and there was no entrance to the hotel. Literally everything was closed, and we had to have our Uber driver circle the block multiple times. If I'm being honest, the neighborhood wasn't the best, and I was not getting out of the car. We dialed a number for the hotel and it was disconnected. When we finally got through, they told us to pull around in the car to a side entrance, our driver beeped, and they opened the metal gate for us. I joked to the receptionist when we were checking in how hard it was to find the entrance. He then proceeded to tell us, “Yeah if we don't close everything at 9:00PM we'd be robbed.” which wasn't comforting. He was very friendly tho, and there was security in the hotel. The room was clean, and we did feel safe once we got in. I just wish they disclosed that there wouldn't be an open front entrance, and we'd have to beep on the side. Thankfully our Uber driver was so patient and didn't kick us out of the car. I'm not sure if it's always like this or because if the riots, but it needs to be disclosed that there's literally no entrance, especially for guests checking in late night.

Location was excellent and if you travel by bus next day the bus station is on the same street less than block away. The beds were good. Excellent was the duvet covers! Good reading light. Nice bathroom and comfortable towels. There was a laminated list of tv chanels and also we could change the tv programm language into english.

This is a very clean and modern hotel. The staff are always happy to help, the rooms are big, bed is very comfortable and bathroom just as good. The restaurant was open long hours and very accommodating. Provides good value for money. Very happy with our stay.
