« Remodeling right now previous stays were 5 star »

I have stayed here several times and never had an issue I have always have had a nice clean and comfortable stay. They are doing a remodel and I think that they are maybe using rooms they normally do not use, the room was clean but I had issues. I will go back and try again I am hoping that is it just a fluke and the next stay will be great again.

    « Only place we'll stay! »

The hotel was very nice with great amenities. The in-room wifi worked great and the complimentary breakfast buffet had so many choices and everything was delicious! The staff was wonderful, so friendly and welcoming, especially Alysa at the front desk! She made us feel so at home! Also all of the staff at breakfast was great! Very accommodating and took pride in servicing the customers, especially Juan! We'll definitely stay again when we come to Milwaukee!

    « Loved this place! »

Flew in for my birthday weekend and had a horrible experience. Thankfully after checking in Alysa and Sabrina made sure I had a wonderful stay. Absolutely wonderful women with great and caring personalities!!! If I ever come back to Wisconsin I will DEFINITELY stay here again just to experience their amazing hospitality. Thank you so much ladies, you were AMAZING!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

    « Under renovation »

Stayed here for two nights in May 2018. The hotel is undergoing a major renovation. Room that I stayed has very old furniture and the carpet is dirty. Overall service at front desk is good. Food at the only restaurant here is mediocre.

    « Needs updating »

Needs updating the outside and inside of hotel Elevator was broken so you needed to walk a mile No bell hop to help with luggage The Staff GREAT I did not have HOT WATER and when you needed to leave at 4am not fun

    « BEST Best Western »

On short notice I had to transfer to this hotel (had bad experience with other Best Western in Milwaukee). I had traveled to town for my Mother's funeral and was expecting about 30 people for luncheon after the funeral. On short notice the hotel staff got us settled in the room and the restaurant put together a lovely pizza party. Everyone at the hotel was so nice and courteous and helpful

    « Family time »

This place was awesome. Rooms were clean, updated, and stocked with everything you may need. The pool area was fun and the water was not cold at all! 24/7 fitness center was clean and enjoyable also. I loved the complimentary breakfast. Yummm!

    « Don't settle for convenient location »

Keep looking for a hotel, not this one....you will appreciate going the extra mile....no pun intended. 3 years of construction....really? Nasty smell, poor quality of rooms and the staff didn't seem to care.

    « Needs a makeover »

I stay a night a this hotel and one of the first things I noticed was outdated decor and worn carpeting. The layout is a little weird and the signs are not the best for directions. My room was at 72 degrees and I could not get it to go lower. The TV made funny background sounds for HBO. The Bar area was big, but the TV's were small. When we were there, all of the ice machines were out of order and people were coming to the bar for ice. Staff was friendly and check in and out was easy.

    « Stay a way! E. Coli!! WARNING!!!! »

If I could give negative stars I would! My wife and I have been traveling for work over 5 years and this is by far the worst and most disgusting place we've ever stayed! The front desk screwed up the charges and argued with us upon arrival. The room was never cleaned the four days we stayed. After trying to call the front desk from our room and discovering the phone didn't work we had up use our cell. Called front desk to complain about the housekeeping and they assured us they would take care of it and never did. All they did was leave clean towels on the end of our bed they never made the bed. The room was so dirty it had feces on the light switch in the bathroom, the tub didn't drain when showering, our feet stuck to the carpet, looked like bloody hand prints on the door, the smell was terrible not to mention the mildew from the pool that was located in the center of the building. They were painting all around us and again terrible smell, there was loud construction going on and sounded like something was breaking through the wall, the vending machines were either completely empty or out of order. We had drunks trying to get in our room at 2am thinking it was their room. WE BOTH ENDED UP WITH E. COLI!!! We were so sick for almost a week! Look at the pictures! Yuck! Yuck! Yuck! How is this place still open????!!!??? Enter with hazmat suit only!

    « Birthday party getaway »

I will say when we got there on saturday at 3pm. The rooms given were not the ones I put in for and called on to clarify that I was getting the right rooms. The gentleman at the counter apologised and got me the right room. Signed me up for rewards and got me a half off app which we didn't use. We wanted to but time got away from us. The rules at the pool were inforced which I was very happy to see and the ones abusing this was dealt with by staff quickly. The B reakfest staff you had Sunday morning with the 2 young men were awesome......cleaning filling and asking if we needed anything else.... 3 times.... wow... now to the bill... my hotels.com price was differant then the bill given to me. I talked to the front desk and their was 2 ladies there and before I could finish the older one interrupted me and said that was 50 for incidentals. I said I didn't finish and it was 30 something. She told me if I do the math right it's 50. I pulled out my phone to show the hotels.com email what was quoted and the younger one started pulling my information up on the screen and the older one told her she knows what it is. I was told that I have to go through expedia to get my money back. I didn't pay through the website and I explained this as I paid the hotel in full the bill. She said you always pay us but you want that deal you need to get through expedia. I walked away as I was not getting anywhere with that lady as I believe that is the same one I talked to a week prior to verify I got the two rooms together and she said we plan those that far back. I have stayed here before and we like the B reakfest n the big pool but service like that hurt the overall.all I wanted was to get reimbursed for the d ifferance or I was ok with a credit as we did plan on staying in a few months but not sure at this point depending how this is resolved.

« Customer Service Makes it Work »

Unexpected night in Milwaukee after flight cancelled and re-booked on an early flight. Picked this hotel due to proximity to airport, price and complimentary airport shuttle. Older hotel but you can tell that maintenance and cleanliness are a high priority. Better than that, touches of an emphasis on customer service were readily apparent. All of the staff were friendly and cordial including the maintenance gentlemen who helped us find our room when we took a wrong turn. Room was not fancy but well appointed with coffee maker, fridge and microwave. The on site restaurant was your basic bar with pub food but food was well prepared and served hot. We left early (430 am) but there was a selection of grab and go food and drinks ready and the front desk kept a list of all the guests scheduled for the 430 am shuttle. Driver could not have been more pleasant. Overall good experience. They have a renovation planned so hopefully the physical plant will match the customer service experience.

« Stinky; terrible bed - no sleep »

The hotel staff booked my family into a room right next to one that they were painting. UGH!!! I couldn't believe it, the smell was terrible. The beds were awful, when you sat on them you were practically sitting on the floor. I had absolutely no sleep because of the bed and also because the vent on the wall was in desperate need of repair, rattled all night long. Bartenders were rude. Sat down and the lady ignored me but immediately after me a couple walked in and she served them. I had to physically get up and waive her over so I could get served. Then when we sat down to eat I went up to get a drink with cash in hand and another bartender (different lady) said to I had to tell my server?! Really, I have cash in hand and you don't want to take my order? WTH??? The only positive was the front desk staff was great and our waiter in the restaurant (gentleman with an accent) was super!! He served 14 of us like there were 14 of him, he was awesome!

Our stay at the Best Western Airport Hotel is the best we have ever had. From arriving to leaving we couldn't of asked for better service, friendlier staff or better shuttle service. The place is beautiful, the food is great both restaurant and bar/lounge with the most friendly atmosphere of any other place we have stayed. Everyone was helpful and our needs were meet.

    « Dirty »

This hotel is in serious need of a renovation. The airport shuttle pickup took 45 minutes and the hotel is a mile from the airport. The mattresses in the room were ancient and uncomfortable. Just a general dirty feel from the pool area and throughout.

« Pretty good except for noise and chlorine »

We loved the pool atrium -it was so nice and warm, though a bit chlorine-y. (See pic of my formerly dark gray shirt after a 45 minute swim). The chlorine burned one of my kid's skin enough that she had trouble sleeping, but hey- price you pay for a good road trip. The breakfast was excellent, and the rooms were comfy. They even brought us squishy pillows when my husband mentioned they were too hard. Parking was really tough, but we found a spot. I have no idea what's going on in this area, but we were woken up on our last day by what we can only describe as several gunshots. They occurred randomly from 5-10 at a time between the hours of 7-11:30 am. Maybe it's near a shooting range? Overall a nice place.

« Convenient and comfortable stay »

We stayed at this Best Western the night before our flight out of Mitchell Field. We live in Milwaukee but a snowstorm was coming about the time that we were leaving in the morning so we wanted to be close to the airport. Choosing this hotel was a good decision and we would stay here again even if there wasn't a snowstorm. It was very close to the airport and the shuttle that runs every half hour was convenient. We made an arrangement for a 5 a.m. trip to the airport and the shuttle was on time. An added convenience was the coffee, oatmeal, granola bars, etc offered in the lobby area from 3 AM. It was just enough to get us going for our flight. The room looked updated and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. We were right across from a really nice pool on the first floor but didn't hear any sounds. We didn't use the pool or the whirlpool because we didn't have time but it looked good. We ate at the restaurant in the hotel the night before which was convenient with good food. We left our car in the parking lot for 10 days and it was safe. We would recommend this hotel.

    « Good Park & Fly hotel »

My husband & I stayed at this hotel both at the start and end of a trip. The rooms were clean, the breakfast very good, and the shuttle great both heading to and returning from the airport. We will definitely be using this hotel for future flights out of Milwaukee.

    « Dissappointed »

I stayed here on February 24th and 25th. Mainly because it had a pool and Jacuzzi. Also it was near the places I wanted to visit on my trip in Milwaukee. I was very disappointed with more then I thought I would be. Upon arriving after a long drive I had to go to through both parts of the parking lot looking for a place to park. Not knowing until I got in because I never stayed here before that they buy out there parking places to make it convenient for airport passengers to find parking with a free shuttle to the airport but not the guests staying at there hotel. I had to park on the street a mile away then walk to come back to check in. Finally after I finally checked in and went to my room I was in packing for my stay. I know they are doing renovations but there was a whole in the wall. I felt like I was being watched. They put a new heater/air conditioner unit in the room but didn't finish taking the old one out. We had left for dinner and came back and we asked the young millennials at the front desk what time the pool closed and he snapped and said "we are kicking anyone out who causes problems. I was offended and upset. I am an adult and I asked a simple question. He didn't have any reason to reply with attitude. We went up to our room and sat on the outside of the pool because it was closed to just relax and enjoy our time there. The same worker was patrolling the halls and rooms. The next morning we woke up and went down for breakfast. We filled our plate and started eating. Yes you get a lot of food but I had to warm up my own food because there was no way for them to keep it hot. Then we went back to our room to pack. On the way we stopped by the Jacuzzi so we could go in it. It was under maintenance so we could not go in. Who does maintenance before the guests check out. As we were packing to leave we called the front desk to ask for 2 bags to put our dirty clothes in that they give you when you arrive. After 10 minutes of waiting and us needing to get on with our day I went and got them myself. Really another thing. So we checked out and headed home. We will not stay here again. They only thing good was the bed.

    « Run-down, Worn-out, Dated, Carcass of a Hotel. »

We chose Best Western Plus MKE Airport for it's pool and extended parking options (we were flying south for vacation). Problems and frustrations started from the moment we arrived. Our room, #344, was on the third floor. During check-in, the front desk staff said few words and none of them described where the elevator or stairwell was, nor where our room was located. The tiny, dilapidated elevator is hidden at the far reach of the hotel and there were few, if any, signs directing to where the elevator was from the front desk, nor did we get a map of the facility showing where our room was. The hallway carpets were stained and deteriorated; the laminate flooring in front of the elevator was cracked and worn through to the cardboard underneath. Upon entering our room, we were greeted with the unrelenting orange light of a sodium vapor lamp immediately outside our window. We tried closing the "blackout" drapes, but even they could not stop the piercing light. Further inspection of the room revealed more shortcomings. The bed felt 10 years past its prime - like sleeping on a pile of rocks on top of a trampoline. The furnishings and finishes looked like they came from Grandma's house and showed many years of wear. There was water damage on the bottom of the doors. The bathroom sink would barely drain. The heater/air conditioner unit rattled and droned. As we were staying for less than a total of 7 hours, we were willing to cope with all of this solely with the hope of being able to relax in the hot tub and take a dip in the pool. The hot tub was ice cold. We reported our complaints to the front desk, but the only preposition we received was "we can have maintenance look into this for you." The pool was closing soon and there was no hope of the hot tub being operational any time during our stay. Maintenance wasn't going to renovate our room, replace our mattress, or relocate a sodium vapor security lamp. Maintenance was not a solution to any of these issues. While waiting for the shuttle to the airport, we were reading reviews of the Best Western Plus MKE Airport online, wondering where we went wrong. Some of them mentioning vehicle break-ins; then we heard it first hand - a guest boarding the shuttle was lamenting how their pickup had been broken into the night before. Great, now we're going on vacation with the looming concern in the back of our minds that our vehicle would be burglarized. The Best Western Plus Milwaukee failed in every aspect of the hospitality it promises to provide and we won't be patronizing this hotel again.

« Great place to stay when flying out of Milwaukee! »

This is a very pleasant hotel to stay in when catching flights out of Milwaukee. Great parking discount while you are traveling. My only complaint was the shower. It was cold for about 10 minutes before it was bearable to use. Not a deal breaker, but not pleasant either.

    « Disappointed »

We live nearby and have visited this hotel multiple times in the past just to utilize the pool and have a ?quick' getaway. We decided to take/treat my in-laws here in addition to my immediate family as a birthday treat for my mother in law. From parking to check-in to check-out, we had a poor experience. Parking: the entire lot was full since they allow people who stay there that fly out from Mitchell to continue to utilize their parking lots. We have a handicapped son and had to park our vehicle in the street as a result of this. Check-in: Were were told our rooms were adjoining, which was not the case when we located our rooms. I called down to the front desk and and was told by a female worker they were very busy and she would call me right back. 15 minutes came and passed so my husband personally went downstairs and was told by this employee that the hotel is full and there are no adjoining rooms available. As for my return call: Well right back turned into longer than 15minutes and still no call so I had to call them again, only to have a male employee answer. I wanted to speak directly with an employee about the misinformation we were told at check in about adjoining rooms. He was incredibly helpful and in fact they DID have rooms available that adjoined which we relocated to, only to have our new room key not be activated. We had to go back to the lobby and get this activated. Room: phone did not work in room, we were only given about 1/4 roll of toilet paper, and the Kleenex had the fanned decoration, but no Kleenex! The air also did not work and the room was incredibly hot. The beds however were decent and pretty comfortable. Pool: The pool is scheduled to be open at 8am. Our family got our suits on and went downstairs, excited to swim-only to find that the pool and hot tub was closed due to maintenance and would take severe hours until it would open! Mind you, check out is 11am! The roof in the pool area was also constantly leaking water. Front desk: my mother in law went to the front desk to inquire about the pool. An employee named Becky was extremely rude to her and unapologetic. This maintenance work should have been scheduled at a time when the pool was not scheduled to be open. The pool was the main reason we stayed and booked 2 rooms there. Pool eventually opened about 9:45am yet hot tub was still closed. Breakfast: Was good for the most part. The breakfast staff appeared very hard working and were trying to constantly keep up with the demand of the food. Unless improvements occur in quality control and customer service, we will never be back here again

« Uncomfortable and unreliable service »

The beds were uncomfortable and my room smelled of rotting cheese. I asked the front desk to take care of the smell while I went out to the Wisconsin Center for a business conference. I returned approximately 8 hours later and the smell somehow got worse. I called again, asking for air fresheners and the clerk responded in snotty tone and claimed not to have any more left.

« Not worth the money »

Stayed in room 149 and it is a dump. 1) mattress is thin and sinking in the middle 2) shower faucet is broke and won't turn off, dripping all night 3) walls are beat up For $120 a night I expect a decent, comfortable room and bed. This is a pathetic. Can't sleep and have to catch an early flight. Don't waste your time. Four Points has better mattresses and secured parking. Best Western is a horrible.

    3
    « Hmmm... »

Check in was smooth and quick. The man didn't have much to say...didn't point out or give directions to the elevator, which took a bit to find. The elevator is on the other side of the hotel and is the smallest, creepiest one we've used in all our travels. It is not wheelchair friendly either. If you are not able to get up from your wheelchair and step out, request first floor! As such, some entrances have rather large bumps from cement shifting, so be prepared to maybe have to get up and make your way in, before using your wheelchair again. The room: Spacious and clean. 2 beds with 4 pillows each. Linens and bedding were clean with no stains or holes. Beds were comfy. Not enough outlets. The clock wasn't plugged in and would not fit in the outlet behind the bed because the outlet was too old and loose. Fridge/micro. Nice sized TV. Channel line up was just okay. Wi-Fi worked very well! They had a bed side phone, didn't work. We removed it and placed it in a drawer. With the really big lamps they use, the phone took up even more room. The HVAC unit was terrible! The noise it made was so bad you had to talk over it and don't bother with the TV. No way you could sleep with it running...it wasn't the white noise people so often use them for at night. If it ran too long, it started to squeak like 20 hamsters on little metal wheels.....UGH! We slept with the window open at night and surprisingly it was very quiet until about 6am. Our last night we kept it closed, too cold out. The heat kicked on...woke us both up. Sounded like a semi hauling butt into our room! Bathroom was a good size. Not enough towel bars, but plenty of towels. Fluffy, no stains or holes. In need of a grab rail in the shower as it does get a bit slick in there. Everything was clean. Things to know: *housekeeping was loud and rude *elevator available (see above) *advertises truck/trailer parking, but lot is full with guests who fly out and leave their vehicle. *due to all the vehicles, there was a lot of snow and ice between cars and at entrances. Again, making wheelchair use difficult. *bring a surge protector so you have more outlets. Overall, it was an okay stay. We would consider staying again, but might consider another hotel for the reasons above. For us, it was a little more difficult then it may be for other able body people.

« NOT SAFE do not park in lot »

I recently stayed at hotel and did the park and fly. The parking lot is NOT secure. my car had 2 busted out windows when i returned. The shuttle driver that picked me up from airport smelled heavily of marijuana. i have stayed at this hotel many times in the past ten years but will never again because of the lack of security in the parking lot. IT IS NOT SAFE to leave your car there anymore.

« Pretty nice but could be nicer »

Chose this hotel because of the pool and it was great. It was hard to overlook the leaking spots in the adjoining hallways and in the pool area though but with the glass roof above the pool it had to be difficult to prevent the drips. The pool water was too cold for me to get used to but my son got all the way in. The room was pretty good but we couldn't turn the heat down?it was tolerable though. The bathroom was outstanding?it was huge and the shower & water pressure was great. The closet gave a good place to get luggage out of the way. The bed was super comfortable. The hallways had pictures of Milwaukee throughout?loved it. The breakfast buffet was pretty good. Very roomy seating area. The food was above average and was replenished right away. The staff was super friendly throughout our entire stay. Definitely will stay here again!!

« This is our go to hotel for park and fly package but had bad experience »

This our go to hotel for when we fly out Milwaukee. We like the convenience, the shuttle and the restaurant next door. However, when we flew out in December we had a bad front desk encounter and then no follow-up. We checked in and I had to give my driver's license to check in. I did not get it back. I got my credit card. There was so much paperwork. I did not realize it. We were flying with passports so I did not need it. They had it and could have come to my room and given it to me. We checked in at 3. But they did not. I did not realize I did not have it until I got home 2 weeks later. I looked through everything and finally called the hotel. I was told it was in the drawer. I was looking for it because I have a flight coming up I need it for. I asked for it to be sent out priority mail to secure it not to be stolen in the mail. I even gave a credit card for it to be sent that way. I did not get a call from management. They sent it out regular mail, with a $20 off your next visit Sunday through Friday. Also a card on how was my visit? No explanation. I have to now worry about my identity being stolen because of their mistake. I do realize I did not account for it being not given back to me. However, I was a registered guest. Call me to come to the front desk and pick it up. Also, call m about the incident and explain what happened. Do not hide behind your mistake. I am a Diamond member.

    « Nice »

Clean comfortable, safe place to stay. I stayed 2 nights while visiting the city. I would stay here again. Breakfast was really good for being free! Pool is nice. Staff are friendly. The only issue I had was parking. The parking lot was full even after typical check out time. I had a hard time finding a place to park the three days and two nights I was staying here.

My husband and I had a great stay in Milwaukee this week. Despite the cold temperature, the hotel pool was warm and inviting, the staff was warm and friendly and the breakfast was warm and tasty. We had a great overnight and plan to come back again!

« Great Place to Stay Flying Out of Milwaukee »

The pre-check in, staff and shuttle were all great. The hotel is remodeling but the place looked great. Comfortable and clean room and the sports bar/restaurant had good food! The hotel is minutes to Milwaukee airport and that worked great for our very early AM flight out!

« Home away from home »

Always clean, staff friendly and helpful, beautiful pool and good location to navigate through the city. I have stayed here many times and have never had a bad experience. I come to Milwaukee on business yearly and will always stay here based on the above mentioned.

    « Would've been great except... »

Everything was great - the staff, check in, online reservations, breakfast, the pool, hot tub. Except when it came time to spend in the room itself. The room heating system was so incredibly drying that I woke up with chapped lips and sore throat. Won't go back unless I bring a humidifier.

    « Fabulous Bar/lounge »

I knew that the rooms were nice, however, this time I was able to visit the bar/lounge and I was so impressed, the prices and the staff we so amazing. I will return soon! I will also refer this place to all my associates. The pool is huge, the hot tub is great!

« Left at the airport »

I've stayed at this hotel for over 6 years the last 3 times have been so bad I won't be back. I used to love this hotel. The hotel has been going down hill quickly . Bad service, not getting my email confirmations, and most of all waiting up to 45 minutes to get a ride back from the airport after I called fo a ride. There Park N Ride program is terrible. No food at the express breakfast. The hotel is only 5 minutes away and they are constantly running late all the time. I left a message for the manager to call me prior to this review and of course no call. I don't usually write a review but It's not worth the price for the issues you will deal with.

« Very good value for the price. »

Good place, good price and also there is some room for improvement. The nice pool need some hours for adults only. Fridge in the room needs to get defrost from time to time. Location is great specially for airport customers. Very friendly staff working around.

« Facility going downhill. Room had not been cleaned. »

I've stayed at this motel 2-3 times a year for the last 19 years and recommended it to family and friends. It has gone downhill the last 3+ years. The room I checked into had not been cleaned. Food on table, dirty sock in bathroom, trash cans full. I was moved to another room. There was only 3 Kleenex left and no additional box available. Corners were not cleaned. They forgot to move my wakeup call to new room. Negative experience.

    « Smokey Smelling Rooms »

We arrived at the hotel and were given a room near the pool - the hotel has a very odd configuration. The first room had a very strong cigarette smell so we went back to the desk and asked for a different room. We were given a different room in the same area and had the same problem. At this point, we specifically asked for a room in the newer section of the hotel and were accommodated. At first the room seemed fine but upon closer inspection, the room had not been thoroughly cleaned in a while. There was food spilled between the bed and chair that was obviously very old. Not sure why this is considered a "Plus" property but it shouldn't.

I never do these reviews, however, I want to give big props to the staff at the restaurant section at the hotel. Kenya in particular. Food ordered was fast, drinks were on point - they even had my personal favorite bourbon Woodford Reserve... All in all, it was a great experience and I will be staying here from now on just for Aviator...

Friendly staff, pleasant, lots of smiles. Wake-up call was received on time, addressed my call to front desk promptly. Check-out easy. Need to change type of bed pillows used!! Very uncomfortable to sleep on. Room was clean and quiet

« Bad Airport Shuttle Service & Front Desk Response »

We stayed here due to the airport shuttle. Shuttle was good getting us to the airport in the early a.m. However, terrible on pick up. We had the last flight into airport. Landed at 10:20 p.m. It took several calls to get someone to answer. When we finally reached the desk, she said someone would be there in 10 min. We waited approx 20 min. & called back. We were told he should be there any minute. Waited another 10 min. Called back & this time told that they had no one to shuttle so will call the sister hotel. She hung up before telling what shuttle to look for. Called back again. This time a man answered & told us someone from the Clarion would be picking us up. We were the last people left at airport shuttle. Clarion driver was very nice. He couldn't believe no one could pick us up from Best Western. We ended up waiting for 40 min. for three min. a shuttle ride back to the hotel to pick up our car. Hotel itself was fine but the shuttle service and front desk in answering phone calls was terrible.

« A great lodging choice when price is right. »

Nice lobby and large well done rooms with in hotel lounge and restaurant. Tried this du to a Hotels com pricing special and it was a nice deal and place although a bit out of my normal lodging zone. Roomy and great internet but the TV channel arrangement is a bit hard to figure... but lots of HD channels.

    « Good for a quick pre-airport stay »

We stayed here the night before out flight out of MKE. The rooms are old/rundown, and truly the sleep and fly rate doesn't do a good job of reflecting that. We had a water leak in our room, we were moved, but I wish the staff would've been a little nicer about the ordeal. BUT - they are saying it'll go through an upgrade, so once that's done this will be a place to stay. It's just so close to MKE. Our shuttle to the airport was on time both ways and the drivers were very nice and helpful.

Close to airport. Friendly staff. Room was good and spacious. Breakfast was good with a lot to choose from. They have a separate dining area for breakfast. Some rooms overlook pool area and was nicely set up.

    « Rundown, outdated hotel »

Hotel is dingy and outdated. The rooms were not ready when we checked in and did not experience any sense of urgency from staff to mitigate the situation. There were two robberies at the hotel during the course of our stay. Hotel is located in an unsafe neighborhood.

    « Group Trip »

We stayed at this hotel as part of a baseball tournament. The entrance and lobby are nice. Gives you a good feeling walking in. Employees are nice and very personable. They handed me the keys and walked to my room. That is when I started to get a bad feeling. It is a very old hotel they are trying to update. It has a smell about it that did not sit well with me and had me worried as a got to my room. I was on the first floor by the pool. I opened the door and that is when it hit me. There was a smell from the room that was not good. I immediately went back to the front desk to ask for another room. They accommodated me. Got to my new room a few doors down. SAME SMELL. I noticed a window and hoped it could open. It could. I opened it and propped the door open to get some air through. The floor was dirty, walls grimy, bathroom hasn't been updated in 40 years. The toilet was 12 inches off the ground. Great for my 2 year old, impossible for a tall person. I travel for a living. Stay at all the brands. Best Western needs to yank this places franchise. I haven't even mentioned the location. Close to the airport, yes, but during our visit, there was a robbery from one of the rooms. I got lucky, the robbers punched out a first floor window in back and got in. Robbed the room while people were away. If you do find yourself staying at this hotel for some un-Godly reason, do not stay on the first floor. I will finish with how I started. The employees are very nice. What I have come to expect in the Midwest.

Hotel is close to the airport - but very outdated. Rooms need a makeover - lots of noises. Breakfast buffet is included and good. Dining is available and food is ok - sports bar is good. Rooms are clean - but need a facelift

Plan left early morning but the hotel offers a grab and go breakfast which I haven't experienced before. It was nice to be able to grab some food and drink. Nice shuttle drivers. Liked that a restaurant was attached to hotel.

Hotel was alright, not one of the best, Best Western's I have stayed at. It definitely needs updated, cleaned better, and friendlier staff that explain things to you. Especially since they are by the airport.

    « Convenient to airport »

Pros: convenient to airport, shuttle to and from airport, good hot breakfast. Big pool. Cons: can hear the airplanes overhead, especially in early AM. The facilities are dated, and pricing reflects this.

    « Amazing Guest Service! »

I have been in the food and beverage industry for 15 years now, so when someone goes above and beyond it's something I take notice of and make sure they are recognized for it. Ricco met us at the front desk, extremely welcoming and new his job well. When he found out we were beginning our honeymoon, he went above and beyond to make sure our stay, even though only about 8 hours , was a perfect start. In an industry where good help is sometimes very hard to find and making sure people keep the standard, he is one of those rare individual's that surpass the expectation. Thanks Ricco!

    2
    « Cheap for a reason »

No coffee maker in room but had supplies to make coffee. Asked the front desk for a coffee maker but they did not follow through. Cleaning crew did not clean room after first night and people had attitude at first when asked to do so. No cold water in bathroom sink. Ceiling above shower leaking water. Carpet in room had holes. 2 queen beds in room...one was obviously in poor condition. Appeared to not have been renovated in over 20 years. Indoor pool was fantastic!

    4
    « A Good Choice »

I would rate the facilities as average and the service as excellent Hence the "very good" rating. The hotel is showing its age, but is embarking on a multi-million dollar renovation. Its outstanding feature is the excellent service it offers. One server at the restaurant in particular, Carrie Wilson, went out of her way to be helpful to our family group.

« Hotel is worn out »

No single MAJOR problem but 15 small problems equals a worn out hotel. Courtyard and pool are very nice but the rooms are beat. Tub, shower, are rough (peeling), plumbing leaked all over bathroom floor, spiders (not a big deal, but why are they here?), mattresses were the single biggest problem. They were terrible - just terrible. Time for new ones. Curtains - may sound petty but why are they just small enough to let MOST of the city lights into the room? And why do they "puff up" everytime the A/C kicks on? Can't we get curtains that fit? Close to the airport. Apparently they know this so they dont care about the other stuff.

    « Noise »

The worst stay I have ever had at a hotel. Noise was awful, front desk did nothing. We have little kids trying to sleep and the room next to us was having a party and after a dozen calls to the front desk we had to finally call the local police ourselves. They were teenagers and were very rude. Finally at 3am we were able to get some quiet.

« Best Western Milwaukee- wedding trip »

We stayed as a hotel guest at this location and also attended a wedding rehearsal dinner and a wedding reception that was catered by the hotel. The hotel is nice and clean. The rooms are very nice. The pool and hot tub area is very well laid out. The conference area and the restaurant areas are very nice. The food that was catered was very well prepared and tasted excellent. I would recommend this facility for anyone looking for a nice facility to have a reception, party, conference, business meeting, etc.

    « Not great »

We stayed here one night because it is very close to the airport and the price was reasonable. The staff is very friendly and there is a free shuttle to the airport. However, our room was dark, musty and the furniture was old. The motel overall is tired and in need of updating. I am shocked that this has the "plus" designation by BW.

    « Fraud! »

I belong to a local Harley Davidson HOG group in Iowa in which we planned a stay in Milwaukee to attend the National HOG rally in August 2017. Via email from our local HOG Chapter chairman, I was provided a link to book a stay at BW Milwaukee Airport Hotel. The link in the email did not work, it would just spin and not connect to a site. So, I called the BW Milwaukee Airport Hotel to make a reservation for one of the rooms blocked for our HOG chapter. The person I spoke with knew nothing about this block of rooms or the rate of $98.00 per night that we were to receive. Frustrated, I didn't know what to do. I searched other places to reserve a room at this hotel as that was where our friends were going to stay. On Booking.com, I was able to book a reservation for 3 days starting August 30th 2017. A couple weeks later we found our group was not going to leave until August 31st 2017. My friend and I did not want to travel alone on our motorcycles so I looked on my receipt from Booking.com and there was a link to ?change dates? on the reservation. I clicked the link and it would not allow me to change my arrival date on line - it said I was not allowed! However, on this same receipt, it stated ?Need help with your reservation? Contact the property at 14147692100.? This is exactly what I did. I explained that I needed to change my arrival date but the Booking.com site is not allowing me to do this ? can you help me?? The girl on the phone was very polite and booked me for arrival on 08/31 instead of 08/30. I specifically asked if there was anything else I needed to do and made sure I was not going to be charged for the prior booking. She said no and verbally gave me my new confirmation number, and emailed me a hard copy of this. My guest and I only stayed two nights at this facility and returned home on 09/02. When I got home, I looked at my online checking account and found that they did indeed charge me for the room on 08/30 (a total of $106.81)! To rectify this, I called this BW Hotel and talked with their bookkeeper Patty Flynn (who was very rude to me) and stated that since I did not cancel my guest in the room on 08/30, I was changed for a no show! I argued that when I cancelled myself for 08/30, why would they think my guest would still want the room? Only to be asked if I received a cancellation number ? which I did not have ? and told there was nothing they could do and to contact Booking.com. I have been trying to find contact information for Booking.com and cannot find any. But it was BW that took the money out of my checking account, not Booking.com and therefore I want my money returned to me. Obviously, this is nothing but a bunch of misunderstandings on both parties. But the thing of it is, I did call them to cancel the 08/30 reservation and told it was. I thought I did everything that I was supposed to do. Long story short, I am still trying to get my money returned to me. In the meantime, I advise that you do not use Booking.com or stay at the BW Milwaukee Airport Hotel. Once they have your card information, it is no telling what they will take out of your account!

« Staff Great. Hotel Poor. »

The staff was friendly, hospitable and caring. They took care of the needs we brought to their attention in a professional manner and in a reasonable time. On the flip side, the hotel was in very poor shape. A few examples are: 1) The first room we had was not cleaned properly. There were sunflower seeds all over the carpet and hair in the bathroom. The front desk attendant was apologetic and gave us another room. That room was better, but the AC unit's coils were dirty and had a slight leak with mold growing on it. 2) I went to use the exercise facility, but the all-in-one machine was out of order, as well as the room was filthy. The machine was in bad shape apart from it not working and the exercise room did not appear to get much attention. 3) The breakfast items were nice and there was a great variety. The uncleanness of the rest of the hotel, the dinginess of the restaurant, the older carpet, etc. made me wonder what kind of condition the kitchen was in, so I didn't eat much. I would not stay there again unless they do some major remodeling/upgrades.

    « Very Disappointed! DON'T STAY HERE! »

I am retired Army and a disabled veteran with a son with severe special needs who is in a wheelchair and I would not recommend anyone to stay at this hotel!!! However, breakfast was very good and the staff in the kitchen was nice. Stephanie was very nice to me! Thank you! Summary of my stay: 1. Given a room with a dirty bathroom with other ethnic hair all over shower walls, curtain and floor. 2. Could not easily open room door. It was extremely heavy and stuck to the frame, It also never closed to a lock. I had to pull it hard in order for it to lock and not just close. Even the maintenance man said the door was heavy and sticks. This caused more pain to my severely injured arm and dominant arm. 3. Unable to print in business center and tried to work without bothering hotel staff. I literally had to stand for more than 30 minutes in the front lobby working on personal documents containing sensitive information. (The night manager kept coming out looking at me making me feel uncomfortable! It was like I was taking too long but I tried to work on this business stuff in the business center.) 4. Young man I think Joe, kept trying to send my faxes from the front printer and could never provide a confirmation page. When a confirmation page finally printed it said NG. I told him that it did not go through and that's not where the other guy sent the fax from. He kept saying that's where to send faxes and that the machine was not providing confirmation pages. I asked him a few times, "How will I know if my payroll went through? I have to have a confirmation page. He said there was nothing that he could do. Onya faxed them from the office the next day for me and provided confirmation pages. What if I missed my fax deadline though? 5. Your staff acted as if I was getting on their nerves and I was simply asking for the things your hotel says it offers!) 6. I understand that the hotels have to make repairs and/or renovations but I was jarred out of my sleep before 9 am because your staff was making repairs to the pool area. 7. The orange juice machine was broken at least 2 days while I was there. 8. I was charged more than what I was supposed to pay. 9. Housekeeping refuse to take trash from room because her trash bag was almost full and I had to carry it around the hotel to find another housekeeper to help. 10. Was promised late check out and that didn't happen. 11. Could not get into the handicap door exit 3, can only get out. 12. Front desk kept putting me on hold and then transferring me to different voice mails when I tried to discuss the bill. 13. Left a message for Millard Ellis to return my call from over a week ago. Plus I emailed him over a week ago and he has not responded to either so I could discuss the charges. BEWARE! DON'T STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!! I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!

We booked at a great rate, pool side room, full (free) breakfast, friendly staff, close to airport and clean king room all combined for a good stay. This is not a fancy place but is a great value and well worth a look for an impromptu stay live we had over Labor Day weekend.

« The start of our vacation »

We stayed at the Best Western Plus the night before we flew out for vacation. We were looking for a place to sleep close to the airport where the car could be parked and we could get a ride. We got so much more. Room was nice and clean. Comfy beds. The pool area clean. The pool water was nice and warm. Staff was friendly. Morning breakfast was tasty. The shuttle got us to the airport and back the hotel timely.

« What Would Anthony Say? »

The good: Anthony would check the bed to see if the linens were clean (they were) and if the bed was comfortable. It was. Breakfast buffet was quite decent. The bad: Anthony would ream these folks for not having enough plug ins for charging electronics! This is 2017, people! I shouldn't have to craw under the bed to find that one outlet behind the headboard. (Yeah, there was that lamp with a plug-in that didn't "hold" the cord - it kept falling out.) The ugly: Anthony would fire half the staff (the ones who have no idea of the HOSPITALITY industry.) We asked for a block of rooms, for over 20 people coming in for a funeral. I'm not sure what a "block" is, but we were scattered hither and yon. All ends of the halls, on 3 different floors. That's ok, just give us a meeting room so we can have pizza together, and laugh and cry together. No. The meeting room is set up for a conference on Thursday. What? It was Monday. And they wouldn't let us use a room. So we met in the hallway. Because, hello, we all came from 7 or 8 states & wanted to catch up with each other. And laugh and cry together. And then security came & dispersed the crowd. We were not allowed to talk in the hallway. Un-freaking-believable. And the conference room they wouldn't let us use stayed empty. No compassion for the grieving? Wow. Just wow. I've stayed in Best Westerns before. They'd be embarrassed to have their name on this one. Did not feel welcome at all. I would not recommend this hotel. Sorry.

« Convenient and comfortable hotel near airport »

I stayed here after a trip because the hotel was close to the airport. Good value overall: free parking, wi-fi and buffet breakfast, which included eggs & sides, toast, English muffins, pancakes, waffles, cereal, fruit, granola, nuts, dried fruits, yogurt, different kinds of coffee and milk (incl. soy), etc. The room was spacious and comfortable. The door, carpets and bathroom were a bit old but the room was clean overall and the beds were comfortable. The hotel has a pretty large indoor pool and jacuzzi surrounded by lounge chairs and a sitting area, which I didn't use. There is also a restaurant on site and the front desk staff were nice and helpful. I would probably stay here again for comfort, convenience and value.

« Well Below Best Western standards »

The shabbiest Best Western I have ever stayed at and I've stayed at many over the past 40 years. I have no idea why Best Western allows its brand name to be displayed on this property. The room looked disheveled upon entry. Every lampshade crooked, drapes bunched up. I went to straighten the drapes and discovered that the carpet had not been vacuumed behind the chair for months. Thick dust, debris, a part of a candy bar wrapper. A door was missing on the bedside table. All the furniture looked 20 years old. The shower flashed from very hot to very cold several times during showers. We didn't bother with breakfast. We just wanted out as soon as possible. We will never stay at this Best Western again.

    2
    « Not a "Plus" experience »

Alarm clock was set to the wrong time so the alarm didn't go off and we missed our flight. Didn't receive a courtesy call when we missed our airport shuttle either. Pool is closed for retiling, couldn't get the treadmill to work (tried to reset it by unplugging and found the outlet and cord plug had been tampered with-huge NoNo!), elliptical also couldn't be adjusted, breakfast was okay except for the bad cantaloupe.

    « Upgrade required »

Stayed one night here before flying to Seattle. Having already stayed in multiple Best Western's on this tour, this was a drop in standard. It is very tired looking and in need of upgrade. Beds were best part of the rooms but carpets, bathroom and doors all very worn/aged. Fitness room is not fit for purpose with broken equipment and no room to have a proper work out. Upgrade required to meet standard of other Best Western Hotels

    « Rooms are digusting »

The room was dirty, Hair in the sink, Old beds that didn't even match. Carpet lifting and bunched up in room. Just over all dirty and smells of mildew. Both rooms that I stayed in were in about the same condition. Only reason I stayed there the second time was because It is very close to the airport and I had a very early flight. Would have expected a room like this for $39.99 but definatley not for $140.00

« Poor...but saved from Terrible by one great Hotel worker »

I booked a weekend a month in advance and tried to use Diamond Member points. I was told only one night would count and the other I would have to pay for because the Hotel didn't have free nights on that Saturday. I said fine and paid for the second night. This led to two reservations, both made and paid in full at the same time a month early. Despite this, I was told at check-in that I needed to check out the next morning and then back in again for the second night. Oh and also change rooms because they were overbooked. When asking what I could have possibly done any differently to avoid this situation, the following conversation took place. Me: I had to book on-line because to use the points for a free night, you have to do it that way so the proper points value ratio to a specific hotel can be calculated. Front Desk Guy: Yes Sir Me: So I had to do it that way? Front Desk Guy: Yes Sir So i followed the rules, booked the nights, and paid for the one I couldn't get free because you guys here overbooked the night correct? Front Desk Guy: Yes Sir Me: so then I did everything I was supposed to. Booked a month up front. Paid up front, and you are STILL telling me I need to run around checking in and out AND change rooms? Is that what you're telling me? Front Desk Guy: Yes Sir Me: Are you JUST going to stand there saying Yes Sir until I give up and not even try to fix this? Front Desk Guy: When it's time, we will help you move rooms Sir. At this point I am so frustrated I am considering walking away and saying just refund me except it is within 24 hours and the Hotel by rule doesn't have to refund me, so... if I do that I would have been out the free night and the money I paid due to their overbooking the place. The term "over a barrel with your pants down" is about how I felt here. So I signed where they told me to sign and went to my less than 24 hour room. The room had a light burned out in it, and no HBO despite a clear indication that they did have it available. After what I had just endured, I wasn't feeling too confident in getting either of these things fixed so we didn't even try calling anyone...especially the front desk. The next morning when we went to check out, and back in and explained the whole situation to a new front desk staff, the new staff member, a lovely woman named "ONYE" apologized profusely and said that was not acceptable treatment of a guest. Within 3-minutes, she had fixed it and told us "You do NOT have to move rooms. She then offered us coupons for the lounge area food and drinks, apologized again and left us feeling appreciated and valued. So how do I even begin to recommend this place? Well, in the last three years of staying there, I have had some problems like room issues but NEVER anything like the issue of that first night. Generally Hotels have people like ONYE who save the day for them and in this situation that is exactly the case. I still don't know if we will ever stay in THAT particular Best Western again, and that is unfortunate because one guy ruined three years worth of time with one seemingly uncaring encounter. It shows why Hotels preach EVERY time is an important time. In conclusion, this two day situation should have been a training video for all new Hotel people on the very right and very wrong way to handle a situation. I did NOT get the first gentlemen's name or I would have quoted that in the story as well but one final time Best Western Milwaukee Airport staff member "ONYE" saved the day big time in my opinion.

« Average stay; hotel restaurant great! »

Front desk clerk, less than friendly - very impatient. When asked about senior discount, she got impatient. Ultimately, she misunderstood and reserved a handicapped room for us - so when are 63 year-old people automatically handicapped! Shower went hot and cold constantly. Floor was sticky along tables and dresser - one spot looked like gum. HBO did not show up via the remote, even though a schedule was on the table - when I called the front, they paused, then said, oh, sorry we don't have HBO - a family member stayed there a week before and watched movies on HBO - go figure. The Aviator restaurant was great! Very friendly service and great food. Breakfast was good. And for pillows they have small square sofa pillows - not good.

    « Overall disappointment »

Honestly when compared to my other stays or visits to other BWs, this one was a bit of a disappointment. Unsupervised minors/children in parking lot after 10 pm, custodians speaking of customers when they think we don't understand their language.

    « Friendly staff »

The Best Western at the Milwaukee airport was relaxing and clean. the staff went out of their way to make us feel at home. they told us places to eat and sights to see in Milwaukee. They told us things that were happening in town while we were there. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

    « Regular »

Stay here every time I'm in town. Never had a bad experience. Tried other hotels near the airport in the past and none compared. Entire staff from front desk to restaurant and lounge have been excellent. Can't wait to come back.

    « Just average »

If you're in town for a day or two, this is ok. Breakfast buffet was the best thing about my visit. Second best was the adult grilled cheese in the bar/restaurant attached to hotel. Otherwise this hotel is in need of updates, carpeting, paint, etc. Loud on the weekends. If you are in town for a ball game or overnight business trip this might be ok. Would not be my first choice if/when I come back.

The hotel was in serious disrepair. The elevator was the creepiest ever! We got in and you felt you were trapped in a coffin, we picked our floor and the elevator seemed to move, made a ton of creaking noises and a drop. However, the door didn't open until we hit the open door button and we had gone nowhere. Check in person was friendly but that is all they had going for them. We had 3 registered guests but only received 2 breakfast coupons. Pool looked nice but we couldn't get over the dingy appearance of everything else so we took off asap the next morning.

    « Saddened by alot. »

I've stayed at this hotel alot in my years, but this time was horrible! The shower was great until I had it on the cool side then out of nowhere, it got boiling hot and burned my foot! Then the van that picks people up from the airport, speeded out of the parking lot with one of the drivers friends and almost hit my wife! Told the front desk and they didn't seem to care, then I told the general public about all this and other issues, and he didn't seem to care either!!! I seriously wish I could get a refund and take that money else where!!!

« Great park & fly option in Milwaukee!! »

Such an easy hotel to use when leaving Milwaukee Airport - - Great location (3 min. to airport doors) - Best park & fly rates around - Super staff - Great pool/jacuzzi/rec. area - Very good buffet Will absolutely be our 1st choice for airport hotel at Milwaukee airport!

    « renovated?? »

Requests not honored received room way in back of hotel. Possibly renovation not done yet?? Bedding wore out torn, lumpy. Shower inop switched temp cold to scalding on its own. Breakfast staff not attentive allowed dishes to pile up on table. Staff drained orange juice for another event in hotel. One server tactfully placed a five dollar bill in tip jar!

« This hotel is very beautiful, in a perfect location and there is a delicious breakfast included in the daily rate! »

I booked two roooms for 6 family members through the AAA website for 7 nights. Although the cost was quite high for two rooms for one week, the setting and most amenities were just fine. The only problem I had while visiting them at the pool was: no working vending machine, no working games in the kids game area, no lobby coffee and no working laundry for my family members to use!!!! Everything was broken, alll at once. The rooms were nice sized and looked recently remodeled. My family thought the beds were very comfortable. The pool area was very nice, too. My only complaint was I feel I should have been offered a bit of a discount for booking two rooms for seven nights.....

« Do Not Stay here!!! »

I feel that this motel was misrepresented as a Best Western Plus property. It was substandard in many areas: - dirty/well worn public areas and room bathroom - Pool closed early on arrival and closed in the morning on next day - Rude behavior from desk & room service stafft aggravated my bad knee - Beds were worn out/too soft - Did not receive Rewards Member Express Checkout (bill under door) - Room phones did not work - AC Power outlets inop in room

« Best Western Plus Across from Mitchell Field »

Service was excellent. The staff at the desk, in the bar, and on the shuttle were wonderful. This is an older hotel that could use some attention. Water collected on the window ledge from the AC hitting the hot window, the room had a bit of a musty smell, the tiny elevator was very slow, the shower had hot and cold faucets mixed up, and the bed was not very comfortable. Despite those short comings, I wouldn't hesitate to come back. It was perfect for us since; we didn't need anything fancy, only stayed the night until our flight the next day, and needed a place to leave our car. Because we got our room directly from Best Western, rather than a 3rd party, we were not charged extra for the car to stay there for 5 days. Pick up at the airport after our return was fast and easy; we got a ride to our waiting car. If you need a clean room and a place to keep your car while you are gone, I recommend the Milwaukee Best Western Plus.

« Overnight stay during vacation »

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean with a nice pool and hot tub. There is an attached bar/restaurant with another across the street. It is "biker" friendly (they gave us a towel (to keep) to wipe off the bike in the morning and allowed us to pull the motorcycle under the canopy to protect it from the weather and to help ensure safety). Overall I would recommend this hotel to everyone and would stay again.

« Poor choice of hotel in the MKE Airport area »

To start, the elevator is a good long walk, through the pool area, from the front desk. When I got to the room, neither of the room keys worked - I was later told there had been a problem for the past few days with the key maker.....I waited 10 minutes for someone to come and let me in. Once in, the light switch immediately on the inside did not work so I bumbled around in the dark until I found one that did work. The sink tap was on back ward, so the hot water was on the right and cold on the left.....the shower did not work at all until I literally punched the tap to get it turn on. The TV was likely satellite of some sort and only ran retro shows. Bathroom door was cracked, the furniture was scratched - on and on. Most definitely not a hotel I would chose again nor recommend.

« OLDER PROPERTY WITH GREAT AIRPORT LOCATION »

We had 4 rooms for a conference in Milwaukee. This property is older and it shows, Little things like split door frames and access doors that did not work properly. However the hotel desk staff were excellent and the rooms quiet and very comfortable. Internet was good, as was the breakfast, although the breakfast wait staff were not very motivated or helpful. The hotel is very close to the airport, and has excellent access to same. I would stay there again, but the hotel badly needs renovation and a second elevator much closer to the lobby would be nice.

    « Nice Place »

Close to airport, nice place, staff was very good and the shuttle was on time and fast. Did not hear any take offs overnight being close to the airport this was a big plus. Would stay again if and when I return to Milwaukee.

My stay at the best western was exactly what I expected. The service was great and the room was very clean. I did not enjoy the breakfast. It was not a lot to chose from and it upset my stomach. All in all I'll give the stay an 8/10. The lobby could have been cleaned better.

Great service and accommodations. Restaurant and staff there was wonderful. We chose this motel as it has the "stay and park" feature and we were traveling on vacation for 2 weeks. It also allowed us to relax before going to the airport the next day, as well as unwinding on our trip home.

    « Great Staff - Needs Renovations »

Big contrast to the last Best Western I stayed in. The staff was great (Rico in particular) and had an airport shuttle (sign was a piece of paper taped on the outside door of the van) but the hotel is in much need of renovations. I didn't see an elevator to the second floor and the main hallway stairs were sketchy as the boards felt like they were weak and shifting as I walked on them. The room was OK, the floors were dirty where the vacuum couldn't get and the bathroom is really outdated. The bathroom door showed a lot of water damage that likely has occurred slowly over the years. Wasn't the worst airport hotel I have stayed in but it left a lot to be desired.

    « Room 3. Pool & Breakfast 5. »

The room was ok. The bathroom looked like they chose the cheapest company to remodel. Bad paint job. Ugly counters. But the as everybody has stated, definitely a huge selection at breakfast. Maybe the best free breakfast around. The pool was bathwater warm.. 80°. Great tropical room with huge glass ceiling. But they definitely need to do something about the hair in the pool. Does the filter not work right? We had no issues with the airport noise. The whole part of town is either nostalgic or run-down, depending on your taste. I found it charming. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. 10 minute drive to the beach.

    « Great Stay - Good Location »

We had 2 rooms booked. Check in was a breeze - the young lady was very friendly and helpful. My room was poolside which meant it was a little noisy for a while until the activity there slowed down. The room was a good size and very clean and inviting. There was a good sized work area. Bed was super comfortable - slept really well. The internet was strong and fast. Plenty of hot water in the shower with okay pressure. Lots of parking and the airport is right across the street. The hotel has it's own restaurant. There is a shuttle but I didn't use it this time. I will stay here again for sure next time I'm in town. Good value!

« Conference Part Lovely, But Strange Goings On Elsewhere »

Hubs & I stayed here two days ago and were pleased overall. When you enter the lobby, it is lovely; this part of the hotel has been updated recently. The pool is really nice and covered----with a tropical vibe. Proximity to the airport is a plus as well, but we did hear several people grumbling about it's dependability. It's the rooms part of the hotel we now review: entrances at doors 3 & 4 were smelly & musty. The floors in those entries were dirty with some red substance smeared in blobs----even on the second & third days they were still there. The washing machine was broken & the desk offered no directions to a nearby laundry. Then came our room---there was no safety latch on our door. Were put on hold for over 15 minutes twice when reporting it. We finally just hung up and went by the front desk. The desk staff was always polite, but told us three times someone would show up to put one on, it didn't happen for 4 hours, but they did install a door safety latch. Best Western is switching to some small, square pillows---don't care for them, but would suggest they purchase cases to fit them & not just fold regular cases inward to fit them. Breakfast buffet was nice. I would stay here again, but hopefully these things are improved.

« Convenient location and great pool »

We stayed at the Best Western Milwaukee Airport Hotel for two nights in early June. We chose that hotel because it was across the street from the Gen. Mitchell Airport where our son was flying in to join us in a family gathering. The price was also good compared to similar hotels in the Milwaukee area. The 2 queen beds were comfortable, and the room was clean and was fine for the 4 of us. The breakfast was a step up from usual hotel/motel breakfasts as they provide a breakfast buffet in the Aviator Bar attached to the hotel, which does not open as a bar until later in the day. The best thing about our stay was the indoor pool, which was wonderful. It is quite large, the water was just the right temp to be comfortable, it is in a sunlit room with lots of tropical plants which almost made us feel like we were in Hawaii! My hubby, son and I spent 2 or 3 hours there one morning. The only thing missing was bar service to bring us our mai tais! We left Milwaukee to head north for a family wedding and a few hundred miles later I realized I had left our bag with all our swimsuits, and my Kindle, somewhere in the hotel. Over the next few days I made several phone calls to the BW to report my missing articles. Front desk found nothing, but I had trouble getting anyone from housekeeping to call me back. I was just about to buy a new swimsuit and Kindle, when yesterday I got a call back from Natania in housekeeping who said she had found all my items which I must have left by the ice machine! She apologized for not responding sooner but she had been gone for a few days. Good news is they will be shipping all my lost items back to me ASAP! Good customer service which is much appreciated!

« Worst stay I've had in a long time »

My airport shuttle I reserved was 40 minutes late and nearly caused me to miss my flight. The beds were lumpy and uneven and lead to a pretty poor night's sleep as well. Spending so much time in the lobby waiting for the shuttle allowed us to really note some cleanliness issues - wires were hanging all over the ATM and it was very off-putting. The saving grace was the lounge, which was in-house and convenient since I did not have access to transportation.

« This place is HUGE »

Although the hotel seems to be huge, it still is a good place to nod at the end of the day. There are three floors and it can take some time to get the configuration of the place. There is a huge pool area right in the midst of the property and it is IN the hotel, not outside of it. What is nice for children is the hotel's theater near the lobby that shows kid's movies. It's all included in the price. Rooms have good ventilation and nicely appointed with the usual things that one would expect. A very decent deal for your dollar. Surprisingly we did have any airport noise at all and this is from the top floor!

    4
« Very convenient to airport »

Fit what I needed as a convenient overnight at the airport with restaurant, bar/lounge, free Wi-fi and shuttle service. Staff was friendly and to-go breakfast in the lobby was available beginning very early in the morning. Buffet breakfast was later.

    « Outdated and dirty »

Outside and lobby areas are nice. Rooms are outdated and dirty. They have not been updated since it was built is the impression I got. Pool area was. It cleaned but could be a nice area. Stay and fly was a nice option.

« Do NOT, for the love of God, eat at the restaurant! »

We stayed here so that we could catch the shuttle to the airport at 3:30 am. The room was clean and adequate. Beds were ok. We didn't use the shower or eat the breakfast. There are no nearby restaurants so we ate at the Aviator, the restaurant onsite. It was literally the worst meal I have ever had in my life. There was one overwhelmed server. I ordered iced tea. She came back and said they were out. So I ordered club soda. She brought me Tonic Water! When I asked for a new drink, she got really defensive. Then a manager brought me iced tea, which I guess they had. It tasted like it had been brewed with toxic waste. So then I asked for a glass of water. It was brown and tasted terrible, so I finally went upstairs to our room and got a bottle of Smart water I had with me to drink. I ordered a burger and my husband ordered pasta. We got spaghetti for our 3 year old. All the good was too salty to eat much of and loaded with grease. We all felt terrible for two days after eating there. As far as rooms go, it was fine. My husband and I did not sleep well because we both had terrible stomach cramps after eating the restaurant food. If we had felt better, I think the beds would've been comfortable, and they had down comforters wrapped in sheets- no creepy bedspreads. The pool is nice but is the temp of hot bath water, so don't expect a refreshing swim. They had grab and go breakfast available for our early departure- we did not trust it if it came from the same kitchen as the restaurant, so we did not eat it. For the price, I would expect better.

    « Convention »

We had a very nice time a time at the convention ,but when it came to our banquet food, it was way over priced for stir fry and the meat was tough that we couldn't cut or chew it. $26.00 for enough rice for three people and very little meat. This s needs to be addressed for future conventions. I heard a lot of complaints about the food. Also very short staffed for the dinner. Two people for 50 plus members.

« NEVER SO OFFENDED IN MY LIFE!!! »

Me and my family came to milwaukee to go to the discovery center. It was a last minute trip so we made a last minute reservation called the number very easy to reserve the room we booked a 2 queen bed room that was handicap accessible. I also asked if I could pay in cash TWICE and reservation agent said that was fine. Arrived at hotel was greeted by RICO he asked me for a credit card and I told him I was going to pay cash and I would give him a card for incidentals. He then told me that this was not a "cash hotel" ( he made the air quotes) and then told me that my family would be more comfortable at a Super 8 or motel 6. All while he's smiling with lots of other guests in the lobby I was so embarrassed. I left and had to come back because we could not find an accessible room when I came back they had canceled my reservation or couldn't find it anymore so had to make me a new one. RICO then said to me "wow your back great" I told him that he had OFFENDED me and handled the situation very poorly and he stated " I don't understand what I did wrong... I'm the training manager" I did not say anything more... Then we got to our second floor room where was not a roll in shower, the a.c. did not work all night , the whole hotel was super hot they had all the windows open in the hallways, and we found food wrappers under our beds. Just can't believe this place can stay in business I WILL NEVER STAY AT A BEST WESTERN AGAIN.

I have stayed at this location before. The service overall is HORRIBLE !! front desk doesn't have a clue what they are doing, and very rude as well. The room itself was disgusting. « It works »

Basic hotel no problems - other guests were a little noisy but not enough to complain about. Nice pool though I didn't get to use it. A good choice for airport convenience. Might be a good place to bring the kiddos to splash around in a pool during the winter. Restaurant/bar on site was sufficient, kind of a sports bar so not super family friendly but OK for adults.

    « Great Park-n-Fly Hotel »

My husband and I stayed at this hotel the night of March 31, 2017 before flying out of Mitchell International for our anniversary trip to Mexico. The gentleman at the front desk checked us in quickly and efficiently -- he was very friendly (sorry I do not remember his name). He directed us to where our room was located and where we could park our vehicle for the week. Our room was large, clean and comfortable with a generous bathroom and shower; also a microwave, fridge and coffeemaker. Our room was also surprisingly quiet considering it's nearly across the street from the airport. Check out was simple in the morning and my husband grabbed a piece of fruit from the "grab and go" area as we were leaving too early to catch our plane to partake in the free breakfast. Shuttle was fast and efficient to and from the airport. Would highly recommend and stay here again.

    « It served it's purpose »

Booked two rooms to save me from having to get up at 3:30 AM and making the drive from Madison to Mitchell Int'l in Milwaukee to catch a 7 AM departure. This hotel has a great location, helpful front desk staff, and good wifi. In addition to the apparently clean linens, that was about it. This place is a bit rough on the inside, looks, feels, and smells, like a 1980's hotel. Outside had to of been remodeled somewhat recently. Good luck parking close to your room, upon entering door #8 the smell of old cigarette smoke was overpowering. Room was superficially clean, in simpler terms, don't walk on the carpet with white socks. Door has a interior swing style security lock and a deadbolt in addition to the regular keycard. I felt the need to use both and I rarely use the extra locks. Saw a used Q-tip on the carpet next to the trash can. With all this said it was cheap and I was very happy to wake up across the street from the airport the next morning.

« Nice stay before and after vacation »

This hotel is in a perfect location to the Milwaukee airport and has some nice amenities. When we arrived the night before our trip we were pleasantly surprised at the hotels perks - cold lemon water in the lobby, a nice pool/hot tub area, a restaurant on site and the room was spacious and clean. We did eat at the Aviator on site but unfortunately it was not that good. We had a new waitress and not that it was her fault but pretty much everyone's order was somewhat incorrect and they did take one meal off the bill due to all the mix ups. The hotel beds were very comfortable and the shuttle at 4am was right on time and took us less than 5 minutes to get to the airport. When we returned the shuttle again was quick to pick us up which was really nice as it was midnight and we were all exhausted from a long trip home. Unfortunately the room for our return stay was not as nice as we walked in and it was an overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke, mainly in the bathroom but the sheets had the smell to them as well. My husband has asthma and is very sensitive to smoke so we did call to get a different room but they said they were full and had none left so we had no choice but to stay as it was late and we all needed to get some sleep. We put the fan on high and cracked a window to help elevate the smell. We did talk to the front desk the next morning but they did not do much other than apologize. A sign in the room clearly states that any smoking will result in a $150 fine for cleaning so we wanted to make sure we were not charged. The breakfast in the morning was very good with a lot of options and is a nice perk. Over all the hotel is a perfect place for a night stay prior to a trip and we would come back but would definitely insist that the room they book us in is completely smoke free.

    « Amazing Staff »

As you may realize from my other posts, the cleanliness and condition of a property is important but the staff always puts the icing on the cake. The people who work at this facility are exceptional. The initial contact with the front desk set the tone for my entire stay. After the first day being greeted by name, cheerful greetings from the cleaning people and the maintenance staff says it all. Congratulations to the on site management for such a good job hiring and maintaining a helpful attitude in your team members

« Save yourself the hassel »

When I checked in, I had to pay a $350.04 Incidental fee. Which I've been checked out for 2 weeks now and they still have not returned it to me, there was no damage to the room. My first night at this hotel, the outlet in my room next to the TV was sparking. Their solution to the problem was to plug an extension cord into the socket on the same outlet that wasn't sparking. Which is against fire safety codes. The wifi went out multiple times during my stay, and they insisted it was my computer... I had 3 laptops, and none of them had Internet connection so it was clearly their system. Because I was booked here for over a month, due to work purposes, I had to bring work supplies and inventory to my room. I would come back to the hotel after work and find that the inventory had been rummaged through by the housekeeping. Luckily nothing was taken, but they still had no buisness going through boxes of inventory when their job is to clean. One day I was on a conference call for work and the housekerping service came into my room. The entire time the cleaning lady, who spoke maybe 5 words of english, kept trying to pull me away from my computer and the call to inspect her work. She wouldn't leave the room until I responded to her saying, "is fine?" after I said, "yes, it's good thank you" she stood at the door with her hand open for a tip. I've now contacted their front desk several times to retrieve my Incidental fee of $350.04 and each time one of their less than knowledgeable staff gives me a different reason as to why I don't have it. The first person blamed my bank, the second persom "couldn't find" the payment in the first place, the third person claimed I had used room service and they took it out of what I owed... even though I have a receipt showing that I paid separately for the room service, and the fourth person repeated variations of the other employees excuses before hanging up on me and telling me they will not help me and will only talk to my bank. The one good thing about this hotel is the Aviator restaurant attached, aside from that I recommend avoiding this out of date circus of a hotel. Avoid the hassel and check in somewhere else. The poor quality of the mattresses us enough for you back to at least thank you.

We would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to the Milwaukee area. The staff is friendly, the rooms are very clean and the food at the restaurant and continental breakfast is great. We had an issue that was addressed and handled in a very professional manner by the Assistant Manager, Kathy. Should you have any issues or concerns, she is the one to see. We greatly appreciated all that Kathy did for us! Thank you from Canada!

    « No Sleep »

Young kids were allowed to run, play, bang on doors and walls till way past midnight and little was done to help us out who needed sleep. at least find the parents!! Shower water went from freezing cold to scalding hot instantly and no way to control it. Upon check out and they asked me how my stay was, and repeated the problems I had; she was very apologetic and would have her manger call me. That didn't happen either.

« Convienient stay by air port! »

Our stay at BW was great! The room was nice, updated, clean and comfrable. The staff was very nice and helpful. I would recommend staying here to any one flying out of Milwaukee airport as the stay was great and the park and fly plus shuttle was even better!

« Best Staff of All Hotels »

To say that this staff is friendly is not saying enough. The dynamic between the staff members as well as the customers is great! From the staff at the front desk that I met, to the staff at the bar and grill, they work hard to make sure that your accommodations are correct and that your stay is great. If your are staying for the week. I definitely recommend sitting down at the bar and and just chatting with them. Wonderful service, all of the time.

The hotel was find...the people working there were very nice. Had a nice breakfast area and my bed was very comfortable. We did a sleep ..park...and fly and it work out very well. Transportation to and from the airport went very well. The only thing is make sure when you book your hotel room...that your booking the park and fly room rate. Otherwise you will be surprise by the difference in rate.

« Decent place for the price »

Stayed overnight to catch an early flight the next morning. The hotel was in decent shape, not the worst and not the best we've stayed at. What was most remarkable was the service. From the front desk, those who worked in breakfast area and the shuttle drivers all were super friendly! We will defiantly stay there again if the need arises.

    « super nice stay »

everyone was very friendly, clean, and professional. the hotel was clean, and beautiful on the inside and outside. I loved that even outside there was no smoking in the common areas. every time I seen an employee they were working and taking care of the hotel or a customer. the employees even though they seemed very professional did have a sense of humor but in good taste. I would for sure stay again.

A wonderful stop for an early airort departure. The hotels have plenty of amenities, great food at a reasonable almost cheap price! And very good! Friendly staff, glad we choose this hotel! Will definitely use this a gain

« Newly remodeled and very convienent Location »

The staff is very friendly and helpful. Really nice pool and hot tub. Rooms are newly remodeled and clean and very comfortable. Price can be a little high if there is a big event in the area but on the off days it is resonable. Free real breakfast buffet in the AM. Almost anything you could want except the eggs are only scrambled. Great potatoes with bacon and sausage and make your own waffle station.

    « Great place! »

Very nice hotel, great staff! The room was comfortable and clean. It is right across the street from the airport and they provide a 24 hour shuttle. We were able to park our vehicle there for much less than the airport parking fee. They made a mistake in our original charging of the parking fee, so they gave it to us for free. I will definitely stay there again!

This is a great hotel and location. Almost walking distance from airport. Shuttle service was great and staff amazing. Room and bed comfortable. Food service and quality also great! The front staff helped me out with all I needed. The gym was a little small but had all I needed. Was was very satisfied with my stay and the price considering the location was very good.

Jessica at the front desk helped get us an early check-in since we had a game to go to that would cause to be back at the hotel around 1AM. She found us the first available clean room and helped expedite the check in for us.

I guess this is what BW Plus is. Has huge indoor pool and hot tub at center of hotel. Stayed in a king room. Very nice with newer furniture, decor, comfortable bed, fridge and microwave. Complimentary breakfast in the morning, several meeting rooms and restaurant/bar on site.

Certainly not a busy neighbourhood, but we enjoyed the hotel bar and restaurant. Cold beers...good pub food. Music to satisfy. Fair bit of action. Room good...fridge, microwave, etc. Slept great. No need to go anywhere else.

    « I would stay there again. »

I was apprehensive at first. I was automatically placed in an adjoining room (by the system) and there were loud kids next door. I alerted the staff and they went above and beyond to help me. I liked my new room (spa suite). It was clean and spacious. They just have to talk to their housekeeping staff.. There were some annoyances, but nothing that would make me not come back. I was well taken care of and would return again.

« More good than bad »

Great location by airport, but not noisy at all. Glass covered poll in the middle was fantastic. Aviator restaurant was great with surprisingly low prices (deals on happy hour). Breakfast was outstanding, great selection and tasty. Only big minus for chlorine/mold smell in the hallway - I guess related to poll nearby. Overall good experience.

    « Reservation a mess »

Not sure if Tripadvisor or hotel to blame but paid for reservation never used - could not cancel or change to a different Best Western in another town - so paid and never used the room. Will never use Best Western again and will never book through Tripadvisor again.

« What has happened here? »

I often stay here on the nite of a late arriving flight into Milwaukee - ya can't beat the shuttle service (at all hours) and well...I used to say that you won't see a better full breakfast buffet. I reviewed this hotel not too long ago on TripAdvisor and gave it an awesome review. The staff is what makes this hotel shine but the building's gleam is dimming and I am wondering what BW is going to do about it. Our shuttle driver was prompt and very courteous and got us to their front door in a jiffy. Check-in was a breeze (always is) and off to our 3rd floor room we went. First thing we noticed was that the air conditioner was nothing more than a whisper so I tried to adjust the speed from low to high...and that did nothing so we called the front desk who sent-up their Maintenance man. It didn't take him long to troubleshoot it - he told us that it wouldn't get any better than it was blowing and that we should check-in to another room. Not what I want to do after a long flight and a late check-in. Back downstairs we went to get another room key. What I am noticing more and more is that the hotel property is very tired and worn - I am not so sure a new coat of paint and new carpet is going to cut it. The floor is uneven throughout the property and the rooms, especially the mattresses, are shot. Clean, yes, but a loose toilet seat, leftover food crumbs on the floor, lose tiles in the bathroom, turned-up broken woodwork around the bottom of the bathroom door - perhaps subtle to some but these things don't seem to be getting fixed...so what am I paying for? Morning came and quite honestly, as awful as we slept, we were looking forward to their breakfast. And how quickly that changed! Let's just say that food that should be "hot" was cold to the point where a 2-block walk to Perkin's was on the tip of our tongue. I settled for a cup of yogurt while my wife ate the cold eggs and cold sausage. Maybe if the dining room wasn't so friggin cold on a day that was in the high 50's outside, the food coming out of the kitchen would be in the least, warm to the touch. Frustrated with this hotel? YES!!! Due to family issues, my wife and I will be making a lot more trips to the area but upon check-out, I told my wife - shuttle service or no shuttle service - we need to say goodbye and choose another area hotel regardless of the price which, if you do your homework on other area rooms, isn't that much more than this BW. I am a BW awards member but unfortunately, this hotel has seen the last of us...and has really done it's time...back in the day.

Very disappointed in the Best Western Plus, Stayed in many, But this was a run down tired Motel 6. Couldn't wait till 5:30 am to leave. A wrecking ball would be a good start for this. Great location for a new motel or hotel. Minutes from the airport. I will be a 1 hit wonder for this place.

    « Disappointing Room »

I shared my displeasure with the room at check out. As of today, i haven't received a follow-up to my stay. This is the worst Best Western I have stayed at in the past two years. On my recent vacation, this was one of four Best Westerns that I stayed at, It did not meet my expectations, nor did it have the quality of every Best Western I have stayed at. The toilet never worked, even after we called maintenance twice who tried to fix it. The shower pressure was low and the sink faucet was way too high. (The water splashed everywhere.) My husband and I both got bit while sleeping and the mattress was lumpy. Since we have stayed at so many Best Westerns, we noticed that the waffle batter was not individually divided up, as is the case in all other Best Westerns. The same mug to hold the batter is being used by every single person who wants to get a waffle. The leftover batter sits in this mug and is not refrigerated We questioned the cleanliness of this practice and let the front desk know upon checkout. Every time I walked by the pool, I was overcome by the strong chlorine and poor ventilation. I didn't stay in a room near the pool, but it was quite noisy for those guests who did have a room by the pool. Fortunately, I stayed only one night. If it had been more than that, I would have requested another room.

While making several trips to the Milwaukee area, I have been so happy with the service and rooms here. « A very good experience. »

The hotel is conveniently located and presents very well. The property is well kept and the common areas are very neat and clean. The room was excellent without any issues. Hotel staff were very friendly and most helpful. We were on motorcycles and the hotel and staff were most accommodating. The weather was terrible arriving in Milwaukee that night and we opted to eat in the on-site restaurant which turned out to be a good choice. Great service, good food for reasonable prices. A most enjoyable stay overall.

This was at one time a Midway Motor Lodge. It has been renovated with good amenities. The staff is very quick with meeting requests or taking care of business. They are very professional as well. « Expected More »

The front desk person did not appear interested when I checked in. I had a lot of questions about logistics and the parking lot was being paved so I was wondering where to park. She answered very briefly and did not appear very interested in helping me. The room outlets were not easily accessible and they did not have an extension cord. The microwave and refrigerator cord plugs were not secure so we tried to secure it to keep the refrigerator cold. The pool was a nice amenity, but towels were scattered throughout the area despite no people there. They weren't cleaned up until late morning. I wouldn't stay here again.

« Quick stay for one night »

The early check in was afforded with a room available to see a Cubs/Brewers game. Miller Park is about 15 minutes away. Hotel is very quiet despite close proximity to the airport. The room may need some updates with firmer mattresses, cleaner carpet, and newer bathroom look. The sausages, potatoes, eggs, and pancakes lacked temperature in breakfast room. In all, the staff was friendly, parking was easy near a side entrance, and quiet AC.

« Close to Milwaukee, Great Price. »

Nice place to spend a night or two. We had a nice King bed room. The only thing we had concerns about was the mattress. It was very mushy around the ends. If you sleep more towards the center it's alright. We had a restful nights sleep. The size of the room was very nice. There was a mini-fridge and microwave in the room. The fridge could have been elevated off the floor a bit. When you open the door it rubbed against the carpet. The breakfast are was great. There was waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage patty's, potatoes that I found was very good. The pool and whirlpool was very nice. The workout room was small but OK.

    « Pleasant 5 star experience! Recommend! »

Wonderful hotel, great value. Room was quiet and clean. Beds were comfortable! Room had a microwave and refrigerator, which was helpful for restaurant leftovers. Bathroom was updated with new marble top vanity and nice mirror. Breakfast was elegant, with cheesy scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes and French toast sticks, plus waffle iron to make your own waffle. Coffee was excellent. Orange and apple juice also provided. Breakfast was served with real plates and silverware, and staff was attentive to clearing plates and immediately cleaning surrounding tables. When I encountered cleaning staff in hallway, I always received a friendly greeting. The kids enjoyed the swimming pool. There were real trees growing inside the pool area which had a glass ceiling - pretty awesome! Our Milwaukee trip was made pleasurable at this hotel. Great memories were made!

« Never Again, No Way. »

After staying in this hotel, I sincerely believe the 'excellent' reviews are completely fabricated. The hotel is worn and maintenance/replacement has been delayed. A quick coat of paint doesn't hide the grime. The fan in bathroom sounds like a chainsaw and it does nothing, so you end up with a humid smelly room after you shower. The bed is soft as a marshmallow, we contemplated sleeping on the floor, but there was no way we were getting that close to the carpet. And the shower, oh boy. Everytime someone flushed a toliet somewhere in Milwaukee the water temperature fluctuated between scalding and freezing. One couple in our group did not get their room cleaned or fresh towels after the first night, and had difficulty getting towels when we got back late and they wanted to shower. Of the three rooms, only ours had some kind of crazy spring on the door that was old and creaky - it sounded like a door in a haunted house. We had a king suite and there was a chair in our room that was so old, faded and crummy looking that I did not even touch it. And finally, right beside the door was an electrical conduit that was hanging off the wall, cords exposed. We frequently travel for both work and pleasure and plain and simple, this hotel is worth less than $50 a night. It is not up to the standards of Best Western.

    « Nasty, Filthy Hotel »

I stayed at this hotel from 8/7 thru 8/12. The air conditioner fan squeezed continuously, the stair well had a foul smell, the hallway carpet was totally filthy, and they didn't clean my room one day, and I had to catch housecleaning a second time and insist they clean it on another day. I did receive an email from their Vice President of Operations apologizing and asking me to call him. I replied that I travel a lot, but would be in my office the following week if he wanted to reach out to me. He never called. I would never stay in this trashy hotel again at any cost. Spend your money more wisely.

« Guests are safe in flash flood »

Sudden very localized overflow of storm sewers from hard rain near entrance. Staff redirected me to drive up to front doors, got us out without getting our feet wet as they then waded barefoot into water above their ankles to park my car and bring in luggage. No way they could have practiced this emergency. Freak storm occurred while other side of city received no rain. Not normally a low area except for this sewer backup. Staff fast-thinking, super guest first response, and concern for guests didn't stop there. Returning to lobby 10-15 min later they already had half of affected area swept clean as they worked on the rest. Super service in room, delicious breakfast. It is when employees respond like this on their own without supervision that one knows this hotel is where you want to stay again!!!!

« Best Western Plus Milwaukee Airport Hotel stay »

My wife and I live in GA. From Aug 9th, 2016 to August 16th, 2016 we went to Wisconsin to visit family. Some lived in various places in Milwaukee and some were in northern Wisconsin. We were unsure as to how to arrange our visits, and which hotels/motels to spend our nights. We had hoped to plan on arranging it so that the reservations would not be a nightmare, as to finding and staying in the hotels/motels. Well, we had a fortunate happenstance. Our first stay was right at the airport in Milwaukee. We were going to make the rest of the plans while at that stay. The Best Western accommodations were very nice and the people were very friendly. What made the stay so exceptional was one of the employees, Michelle LeFebvre, whose job, it seemed to us, was to make everyone's trip a happy and successful one. We met her right when we checked in, and told her our plans and she immediately went into her "make the guests trip excellent" mode. She guided us into a plan which organized our planned visits in such a way that we never had to worry about trying to find other motels to stay at . The plan was brilliant. It worked beautifully. We stayed at the Best Western airport for all of our visits except for the northern Wisconsin relatives. For that, Michelle booked us into the best hotel in Iron Mountain, MI., Country Suites. The visit there was also wonderful and then we returned to the Best Western Airpot Hotel. Our trip was excellent and successful. It was made so, primarily by Michelle LeFebvre, and for that we thank her very much. Michelle was always available to help us with whatever we needed. We suggest that, should you find yourselves at this hotel, ask to speak to Michelle. We promise you that you won't regret it.

Extremely comfortable beds, great breakfast, fantastic restaurant. The staff never lets us down. The rooms are clean, the pool and spa area are close to all rooms. One of us are handicapped and the staff always accommodates us and treats us respectfully. MKE is less than 5 minutes away and the shuttle runs a regular schedule. There is not much waiting when we return from trips.

    « Management is Superb! »

I traveled to Milwaukee this weekend to see two Brewers' games against the Pirates. I am from North Central Illinois and am a Pirates fan. I stayed at this hotel two years ago for the same purpose. It was not available last year when I booked, which is why I stayed elsewhere. This hotel is busy. I can relate, I managed hotels for over five years. Trying to keep everyone happy is an impossible job. The fact is, some people want to be happy and some want to gripe in hopes of getting something free. On Saturday, I needed to print tickets I had purchased online for the Brewers/Pirates games. When I arrived in the business center, it was a mess. There was a printer cord going from one side to the other. I knew a guest has tampered with the computers, especially since only one of three computers worked. Since I could not print, I went to the front desk. I actually got to speak to Kathleen, the manager. I was not mad. She said she would meet me in the business center very shortly. Two minutes later, there she was. She walked in and could not believe what she saw. Cords going all over the place. It was obvious, a guest had done this stuff. There was a wedding at this hotel during the weekend and Kathleen already had three people manning the desk and she was on-site. She was doing her job, and doing it very well. After about 10 minutes, I asked if I could email her my tickets for her to print. She said yes. Kathleen came through. All my tickets were perfect and I know she was happy to deal with a customer who had an issue that was not mad. I come to you with a reasonable problem, you help, I don't get mad. No reason to get mad. I was there for fun. The managers work crazy hours because they are supposed to work those hours (not many understand that fact). Getting beat up is no fun. I could tell Kathleen needed guests from a room who had no issues and didn't blame her for world hunger. Also - the room was great. Very clean and hospitable. Again, I thought so much of the place two years ago, I stayed there again. Never second guess Kathleen and her staff at the BW Plus in Milwaukee. They are good stuff and it was great to see. She and her staff will always go the extra mile for the guest.

« The Best at the Best Western Plus Milwaukee Airport! »

Kathy, Manager of the BWP, was exceptionally pleasant and wonderful for accommodating my last minute 2-day stay in Milwaukee. Her staff at the front desk were pleasant, friendly and cheerful. The Best Western should be pleased to have such a professional working for them1

« convenient, comfortable with restaurant »

The hotel is so close to airport with great shuttle service & parking privileges and there is no airport hassle about public parking in remote or even closer areas with buses etc. It was perfect for a night's stay to avoid traffic and anxiety when catching an early morning flight. Also, it is reasonably and priced, a good value. There is an indoor pool available but we didn't use it. The restaurant/bar is perfect for starting a trip and getting a good night's sleep too.

    « AIRPORT PICK UP »

Great hotel to stay at. Nice breakfast included. However, I would not recommend for a Fly & Stay package. It took us 40 minutes and two phone calls to be picked up at the airport which was only 4-5 minutes away! Our other plans had to be canceled because of this. Not happy with this experience.

« Red eye flight, short stay. »

We arrived at 3:00 AM, and left by about 9:00 AM. In a short stay, we encountered several problems related to both of the 2 rooms we were assigned. Kathy, the day manager at the front desk, apologized for the errors and refunded the entire cost of our one night stay. She did the right thing under what were difficult circumstances for us. While I can't recommend this hotel based on our stay, I can definitely recommend Kathy and management for taking care of the problems. Her sincere apology was the best thing that happened in the brief time we were there.

    « Disgusting »

Airport area hotels aren't usually the nicest, but this place is down right nasty. The bathroom reeked of mildew. It was awful just going in there to use the toilet, but my shower was painful. The carpets are dirty and worn. They aren't just stained, it is dirty. The walls are dirty. There are other Milwaukee airport hotels - use any one of them instead of this place. I don't think I have ever given a one star review before, most places do something right, but this place was wrong in every way.

« Poor excuse for an expensive hotel. »

Not clean and in poor disrepair. Door latch raddled all night. Light bulbs burnt out in lamps. Carpet ripped. Furniture all banged up. Not recommended. Was very close to airport. Poor image for what was once a great hotel franchise. Will hesitate to use them again.

    « Need of a good cleaning »

I can assuredly say that no hotel I have ever stayed in had hallway carpeting as dirty as this hotel. In front of each guest room door and even worse in front of each service door the carpeting showed ground in dirt. The day we arrived the hallways were not air conditioned - very stuffy and hot. Right at the parking lot entrance door near our room was a bucket of stale cigarettes. They reeked of smoke. Sheets were clean but bathroom had mold and dust. In this condition I cannot give this hotel ant stars

« Not My Favorite Stay at a Best Western »

A group of us were in town for a festival, the location was great for us! However, we found it very odd that the beds weren't made in 2 of our 3 rooms. There was a note left, stating beds couldn't be made because there was personal property left on them. The personal property was a child's blanket, folded at the foot of the bed. Garbage had been changed, but the full bag was left on the desk in the room. While all staff we encountered were pleasant, next time I think I would opt to try a different home base in Milwaukee.

« Worst hotel experience EVER! »

This place was a disaster from start to finish. We made our reservations 2 months prior to our arrival on line directly with Best Western for one of their best (and most expensive) rooms-a King Suite with a separate living and bedroom for an 8 night stay. At check in we were sent to a room with 2 double beds on the 3rd floor. This trip required taking our luggage quit a distance from the front desk to the only elevator which is not only inconvenient but also tiny. The hallways had a temperature that we measured at 120 degrees, so we were nearly dead by the time we got to the elevator. After discovering we were given the wrong room, we went back to the front desk and were promised by a manager that they were cleaning the room we had reserved. We went back and retraced our steps with our luggage-no offer by the hotel to do it for us-and stored it in the lobby. We told the manager that we were going to the grocery store and would be back with some perishable food in about 1 1/2 hours. She assured us that our room would be ready by then. Upon our return, we were told that our room was still being cleaned and that we couldn't go to it, not even to drop off the groceries until they were finished making the bed. After wait of 45 minutes, we were told that the room was ready, issued new keys and were on our way again to navigate the sauna like hallways and the tiny elevator, again with no offer from anyone to help us. Well, to our surprise, once we got the room, we still were not given the type of room that we had reserved. While this one had a sitting area with the bedroom further into the room, it was still not the 2 separate rooms we had reserved and agreed to pay for. At that point we were too exhausted and disgusted to go through another move, so decided to stay put and discuss a reduction in the price with a manager. This we did the next day and were told that he would not charge us for 3 days of our stay. The room itself was subpar: a short in one of the electrical outlets, a clogged sink, mold or mildew in the tile grouting around the tub/shower, frame around the mirror fall apart, drapes off the track so they wouldn't close all the way, etc. The carpet in the hallways was also mildewed or molded from the heat and humidity-all the hallways connect directly to the pool area which is inside and has a glass roof adding to the greenhouse effect. Despite letting the maid know that we were leaving our room so it could be cleaned, there were 2 days during our stay that it never got touched, and another when all that was done was having the bed made, but one of the pillows was still on the floor on the far side of the bed. I don't believe that the room was ever vacuumed. The cord in the iron was stuck inside the iron and the hair drier in the bathroom, which was designed to have the base attached to the wall was just lying on the counter top causing the base to constantly fall on the floor while trying to use the drier. No one on the staff of the hotel seemed to know what they were doing, nor did they seem to really care. There was never a sense of urgency or caring, just constant excuses that we heard being offered over and over to other guests as well. On the morning of our checkout, I was the only person at the front desk and it took over 20 minutes to get on my way as the bill was wrong, not showing the removal of the charge for the 3 nights we were promised would be done. Even though the computer showed the problems we had and the fact that the manager had promised this, I was questioned about the name of the manager-which I didn't remember, and a review by 3 different people before they were finally able to run the bill properly and put the credit through to my credit card for the 3 nights I hade been charged for. Of course, even though we were in a much smaller room than we had reserved, we were still charged the higher amount for the 2 room King Suite we had wanted, so the 3 free nights really wasn't much of a concession on the part of the hotel. All in all, this is the worst hotel experience I have ever had. The staff, from the on site owner down to the room maids should all be ashamed of themselves. There are just too many hotels to ever give this one our business again. I hope others will heed my words and just stay away.

    « Great Value »

Indoor pool & hot tub were ideal for our stay. Ordered 70 wings from hotel restaurant that were delicious and was able to eat in the atrium area by the pool. Ideal for family stay on vacation for a night to hang by the pool and eat a good vacation meal.

    « Baseball Weekend »

The Best Western Plus by the airport in Milwaukee is a great place for a casual weekend or for the business traveler. We had a large group (60) attending the Cubs-Brewers game on Saturday night and enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The rooms have all been renovated and were very comfortable. the only complaint was the heat and humidity in the atrium.

    « Awesome customer service »

I want to commend the customer service beginning from the front desk to the sales department. Our organization was so very pleased. I would totally recommend this franchise to anyone. Service was excellent.

    « Above and Beyond »

My husband and I were on our way to CA and, due to airline difficulties, found ourselves stranded in Milwaukee. Every hotel/motel was sold out and when I managed to finally reserve a room at the Best Western online, I realized I had accidentally made it for a different night. I called their customer service right away and they were able to accommodate us. Once we arrived at the hotel, we were upgraded to a suite free of charge. They also provided a 24 hour complimentary shuttle to the airport which was wonderful at 3 in the morning. Best Western definitely went above and beyond with their customer service and I highly recommend this hotel!

« nice hotel , great for people on a motorcycle trip »

nice hotel, nice pool rooms are clean staff were helpful. nice place set up to clean your motorcycle. the bar and lounge area are a nice place to get a drink or a late night meal. the motorcycle parking at the front of the hotel is a safe place to leave your bike,

« A decent enough hotel but reservation bungled. »

Two rooms had been reserved but only one was made available on the day we arrived. The hotel had been overbooked. Staff were eventually apologetic and we made the best of thinghs, being too tired to argue at the end of a long flight.

    « Very Large Hotel »

This hotel is huge. We were on the bottom floor in the back. Quite a hike to get from lobby to our room. We had to go thru the pool area, which had a retractable top. It was so hot and stuffy walking thru this area. Only located one ice machine on bottom floor. The breakfast was very good and a very good variety. Room was spacious. This hotel charged higher price for a room with a king bed vs. a room with two queen beds. Very unusual.

« Manager Lied to Avoid Confrontation »

My family stayed this past Saturday night before attending a funeral on Sunday. We were disappointed by the cleanliness of the room as there were cobwebs along the ceiling but the bed was comfortable. The power went out on Sunday morning which made it very difficult to get ready for the funeral I mentioned above. We were confused as to why this large chain hotel didn't have a backup generator. Of great concern was the lack of safety lighting. The hallways and stairs were pitch black! My brother in law was told by the assistant manager that our rooms would be comped and given a signed note with contact info to follow up. I called that number once my card was charged and the voicemail was full. I sent a text message and got nothing back. My brother in law spoke to the manager, Jim, today and was told we would not be compensated. Shame on you for the terrible way you handled this situation!

    « Needs some work »

Our family stayed here 2 nights. It was a convenient location and the staff was friendly and helpful overall. The hotel neighborhood is a bit suspect. I was approached in the parking lot by a man asking for money. When I mentioned this to a nearby police officer his reply was don''t be surprised by that around here. This hotel looks like it had been expanded overtime and the travel distance from some rooms to the lobby was long and windy. The public areas are not as nice as the pictures on the website. The lobby, hallway, stairwells and room decor was dated. Stairwell door we used need cleaning and painting in the worst way. Complimentary breakfast offered a good selection and was good. A major disappointment occurred during a power outage when the halls went dark and the very small elevator didn't work we found the emergency lighting in the stairwell didn't work either. That made a very difficult and dangerous walk down the hall and the steps to the lobby. The weekend manager seemed overwhelmed by the situation and when I asked if the Senior hotel manager was in the facility because of the black-out I was told he was aware of it but it was his day off. That seemed like a total lack of professionalism that Best Western should address. I and several other guests were very dissatisfied by the way the blackout was handled. Clearly the weekend manager and her team were not trained in how to handle that situation.

    « Summer visit »

We really love staying at Best Western hotels and this one does not disappoint. The breakfast that was served was very good and did not have a lot of processed food. It was fresh and you could tell that it was made there in the kitchen-or at least it appeared that way. The rooms are quiet and comfortable. It was nice having the restaurant attached so you could go and have a drink and a meal at night without going out.

    3
    « Summerfest »

Stayed her during summerfest since all hotel rooms downtown were booked. The hotel is old and you can tell with the carpet in the hallways. The rooms were very spacious and the beds were comfortable. If staying at the airport you will be right by it. We never heard the airport noise at the hotel. Taking a shower in the am was a little risky. The water would go from normal to scalding hot and then cold during the shower. Manager said they were aware. Only one elevator do don't take a bunch of luggage you need to get to your room. Staff was all very friendly and helpful. Not a high end hotel but is doable.

    3
« Great Location to MKE Airport »

The Best Western offers a great value, some of the staff were very friendly. The cleanliness is fairly average for a hotel. Breakfast is offered from 6:00AM - 10:00AM. the restaurant staff were very friendly and kind. There is a pool and it's a great hotel for a short stay.

    4
    « Summerfest Friday »

Great stay, number 2. We were allowed to check in around 2 p.m. I called in the morning to verify. This location was very close to a park and ride for summerfest bus. King room, 2nd floor overlooking the pool. Clean room and bathroom. The tub area was not very well lit but functional. No hallway noise heard in the room. Had the included breakfast, very good. The business center allowed us to print our boarding pass and the shuttle was on time both directions. We would stay here again.

« Best Western Milwaukee Airport »

Beautifully arranged pool, hot tub, & separate lounge in 2-story glass ceiling atrium with tropical trees. Nice lobby. Great hot breakfast. Sink didn't work. Lowest-cost option, yet a great experience.

    « Best Western Milwaukee »

The front desk and room service employees very nice and helpful. The bed was very uncomfortable and the hotel was very noisy. I didn't sleep much. The shuttle service to and from the airport was very good.

    « Summerfest 2016 »

We stayed here for the cost and it wasn't too far from the Summerfest Fairgrounds. It is an old hotel with some places needing improvement, but still a very good value. Very friendly and informative staff. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Breakfast was fair, with waffles, potatoes, sausage, eggs and cereal. Didn't use the pool and spa but looked nice.

« Accomodating Staff and Nice Hotel »

We needed a place to stay while taking care of a family member who was staying at a nearby hospital. The staff at the hotel went out of her way to make sure we had accommodations. The hotel is very nice and the breakfast, that is included in the rate, is top notch.

« Best Park & Fly hotel in Milwaukee »

We have used this hotel for years as our Park & Fly choice. The hotel offers a SUPER breakfast menu.....24 Shuttle to the airport which is a 5 min trip. All staff and drivers are totally there to please the customers with smiles! Beautiful indoor pool. The rooms have a coffee maker, microwave and refridgerator. This is an older hotel, and the rooms could use some updating. All in all, this hotel works for us. Opps--forgot to mention it's only a block away to our favorite restaurant--Oakland Gyro -- the best Greek food around. Happy travels!!!

    « Trip one »

Good hotel. Gave Veterans a great rate for the stay. Would recommended this hotel to anyone going to the area. There are some nice places to eat near the hotel. The staff was very nice. And very helpful when needed. They even put up a tent for the Veterans that was staying there so we could wash our motor cycles.

« Favorite Milwaukee airport hotel »

This Best Western is right at the hotel. They have 24 hour shuttle. Rooms are consistently clean. Beds are good. I never hear people in the adjoining rooms. There is a very nice (indoor) pool area. The restaurant on the premises is a definite plus. This hotel is also very close to an Amtrak station.

    5
    « Wonderful Staff »

Wonderful staff. They went out of their way to make us comfortable with a new baby on a extended stay. The front desk staff was accommodating to a new family. Nice pool. Free parking. Never heard any planes. Laundry facilities. Plenty of places to eat nearby or at the restaurant located in the hotel.

    « A good choice »

Very reasonable priced with a clean, spacious room. Nutritious breakfast, including oat meal, bread, mini muffins, eggs, fresh fruits, milk, juice...etc. This place serves evening juice including apple juice, orange juice and cranberry juice. Comfortable over night stay for a wedding. Good value.

    5
    « Great Hotel »

Staff very friendly and the hotel was very clean. Would recommend it to anyone. Stayed 3 nights and never had a problem. Had a very good time and the location was good for why we stayed there. Everyone in our group was pleased.

    3
    « Close to airport »

We stayed here one night because it was close to the airport. The staff was friendly and helpful. We have stayed in many Best Westerns, but this one needs a little facelift. The beds were really sad! I felt like I was a Mountian goat trying to stay on one side of the bed without falling into the hole in the middle. The rest of the room was fine. They just need to get new mattress and boxsprings!!!

    4
    « Good value »

Nice, well furnished rooms, good price, good hot breakfast, better than most of this type, good pool, long walk from room to main desk is good exercise. :) Access to most Milw attractions very easy. No airport noise.

« My wonderful experience at Best Western Milwaukee »

I traveled there by myself this trip and was treated super special. The front desk staff was hands down the greatest. The helped me will travel instructions, even printing them out for me. They printed my boarding passes out for me since I would not be able to because of my training class. Daily full breakfast, pool, spa ample parking, straight shot from the air port, and easy on/off the freeway.

    3
    « Not a good nights sleep »

Dirty and loose carpets in pool area and hallways. Broken bed with sag in the middle like a swayback horse. Loose toilet that would rattle when you sit down. Would not stay here again as to no credit at all even offered for having such a bad nights sleep

    « Good »

Room was comfortable and clean, just a little worn and outdated. Conveniently close to the airport with a few restaurants nearby. Free breakfast with plenty of options. Hotel also has a bar/restaurant attached. Huge pool, hot tub, and some arcade games. Staff was courteous and helpful.

    5
    « Impressed »

I stayed here with a large group of high school students and would stay again without a doubt. When we arrived, everything was ready for our check-in and students were in their rooms in less than 5minutes, staff went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed and were more than accommodating to all. Theater was great, pool was lots of fun, space for students to just place cards and talk, breakfast was outstanding with numerous hot and cold selections. Rooms were clean an beds very comfortable, the hotel was great. Would recommended this place to all.

    4
« Clean close to airport »

This hotel was very close to airport and downtown, nice pool, hot breakfast and clean rooms. Rooms could use more updates - did have safe in room which is always nice. Watch out for the seagulls on the backside of the hotel. they are everywhere. Very big hotel can't hear the airport at all. WiFi is fast.

« Great and helpful staff again!!! »

We stayed at this hotel about a month ago when our daughter was moving to Milwaukee and it was great and I wrote a glowing review then. Well then we were in the area again to move her in and the fantastic staff (this time Kathy and Kelli and I think it was Maris) went out of their way again to help us. We had a pickup truck and UHaul-like trailor and couldn't find a place anywhere in the city to park it. So turned to these wonderful ladies and they were so kind We were exhausted and they were so nice, thanks again gals. Will always stay at your hotel when needed!!!

    4
    « 2nd time I have been here »

I stay here rather than the conference hotel nearby, as it is more relaxing, especially at meal times. Friendly staff, good service. The room I was in was a bit dark and furnishings a bit dated, but adequate. Good internet connection, used Skype a number of times for calls without issues. Breakfast is more than adequate for me.

    3
    « Better than I was expecting »

I was afraid at first to stay here after reading a review that said it was ghetto. I don't feel it was ghetto. I thank god that the room was odor free, beds comfy, and room clean. What i dislike is the doors... when closed and locked you could see light from the other side and the awful wait staff at breakfast who didnt want to answer questions you had no matter how nice you asked and who watched ever one getting food with " you bet not get too much" look on their face. They then rudely stood by watching everyone and constantly asked if they were done eating ... like hurry up and get out.

    2
    « Parking+birds= disaster!!! »

I would not leave your car at this hotel if you are going to be flying!! The seagulls that are by where they want you to park your vehicle are disgusting. They crap all over the cars and they don't feel that they need to clean your car or try to get rid of the birds. I left my car there for 7 days and it took me 1.5 hours to clean all the crap off my car. I also asked at time of check in for extra pillows and never received them!!! They were still cleaning the hallways at 9 pm, and if you have an early flight you need to be in bed a little earlier than normal. The price of the hotel is more than the one next door. Does not meet the standard that I was associated with a Best Western Plus

    « Fulfilled our need »

we needed a hotel near MKE for a early flight we did the Stay/Park/Fly and it worked perfect esp liked the grab and go breakfast items that early in the morning The person checking us in immediately gave us all the information we needed for the shuttle in the a.m. and when we returned

« Best Western Plus Milwaukee Airport »

I love staying at this hotel when I fly out of General Mitchell Airport. Great value for a stay, park & fly. The shuttle service is great and the restaurant/bar on the property is amazing. This is the only place I stay when traveling out of Milwaukee.

    3
« Convenient for the early morning flight »

We were on the last night of a trip and needed to be at Mitchell Airport by 5 am. This hotel is immediately off the airport so it was extremely convenient allowing me an extra 30-45 minutes of sleep compared to the other options I had considered. Once I confirmed that I could use points to pay for the room this was the choice. When I am providing feedback on the hotel this was the 5th different hotel I stayed in over the past 2 wks. It did the job but looked worn out so understand what you are getting. If I have another flight with similar circumstances I would choose this hotel again.

    3
    « Decent hotel. »

My friends and I traveled to Milwaukee on business and stayed over night here. The rooms were well priced. Very close to the airport. The layout of the rooms made for some walkiNg but all I all the rooms were comfortable. Nothing extravagant. Just a simple room for one night. I would recommend this for the travelers looking for a single night stay or a vacation on a small budget.

    3
    « rude yankee hospitality »

upon arrival @Amtrak called & asked for shuttle to hotel. took long time *30 min or more & had to call twice to be rude or sarcastic to get their attention? it was thurs the 12th & I asked are u going to come pick us up Friday the 13th or what?? staff not friendly at front desk, did not smile or ask if needed anything? when ask for help with copy machine or computer took long time for help. breakfast very crowded & no table as had Hispanic religious convention at the best western convention center (Mexican invasion?) price seemed high for services. did not give senior citizen discount or veteran discount. only stayed there as close to my daughter & close to airport, stayed for those reasons, not for 'quality" of hotel

    4
« Convenient location Nice place. »

Convenient location to where I was visiting near the airport.Ok beds.Very nice shower. Room was nice enough.Microwave and fridge, which is a very nice touch. Television was very nice and clear, which is not the norm so far in hotels I've been in.Airport noise was not bad either. All in all, a place I would stay in again to be near places I had to be.

    2
    « Shouldn't be a PLUS property »

The front desk staff is great. The hotel is run down. Decor is dark and drab (or is is the dirt?) Carpets in hallways and guest rooms are filthy. One tiny, old, slow, and very dirty elevator located a long way from front desk. Beds are bouncy, sheets are worn, soap is industrial strength, a/c unit is noisy. Guest room doors have gaps all around. Doesn't feel safe. Internet is fast and food in restaurant is good and reasonably priced. Free breakfast is very good. They updated the outside of the building with nice brick. Oh wait, it is plastic sheeting that looks like brick. What do they say about lipstick on a pig? This place just doesn't feel (and isn't) clean.

    5
    « A great stay! »

Ricco the desk clerk is awesome! he makes each guest feel welcome and a valued customer. The pool and hot tub are really good as the hot tub is really hot. Feels good on those sore muscles. The breakfast is top notch also. This hotel is worth the extra money compared to surroundiong hotels.

    3
« kind of run down »

Stayed here because it was close to the airport. Needs to be updated for sure. We were put at the far end of the hotel, so was quite a hike to the breakfast area in the morning. Bed wasn't comfortable, but décor was nice & bathrooms clean.

    2
    « Dirty Jacuzzi »

After long trip, went to reserved room and went straight to pool/jacuzzi which was the reason for staying at hotel. It was locked before closing time. We went in bathing suits to front desk to inquire. We were told the Jacuzzi was dirty. We explained that was the reason for going there and would like our cash beck. After a couple minutes of asking for refund or something to be done, we received extreme rudeness and no offers for compensation, we had only arrived 20 minutes prior. We were told that refunds were impossible and one person said, "If you want to get in a dirty Jacuzzi, I will unlock it for." As the conflict escalated, the manager was called, we were finally issued a full refund and left.

    2
    « smoke smell »

I honestly believe that this room is still being smoked in even though it is advertised as a non smoking hotel. I asked at the desk if a mistake was made because I definitely smelled the smoke odor. I was told that none of the rooms were smoking rooms.

  • 5
« Best value at airport »

Across the street from the airport, but no noise problems, and early check in of rental car when returning evening before a scheduled morning flight is possible because hotel has shuttle service. Free hotel breakfast is very good, as is everything else about this hotel.

« Last time was great this time NO »

We stayed here a couple years ago and gave it a great review, this time I cant. The room we got was no where near as nice as room we got last time, The bar was out of Miller Lite, it was also out of one of the drink specials listed on the board. The manager seem annoyed when we mentioned it. The restaurant was closed so we ordered food from the bar, food was nothing special at all. We did the stay and fly and upon return called for the shuttle... it took 30 minutes for the shuttle to come, I called the hotel back several times and was told that they were on the way, then that they were there, then that we were in the wrong spot (which we weren't) finally the driver came and acted like nothing was wrong. He didn't even drop us off near our car, we had to walk all the way to the back of the building. Weird how service can do down so much in just a couple years. I guess i'll have to look for a different place to stay next time

    5
    « A Great Place for a grest Value »

My Mom and I stayed here for her High School Jubilee. This was a great place for us to stay and the staff was outstanding. Very helpful for a person with a disability. I definitely recommend this property for families and persons with a disabilities.

    « Maintenance issues »

Maintenance issues-heater, sink faucet and drain, exercise equipment, not all computers hooked up to printer, not all clocks working/set to correct time. Room very clean, Breakfast bar great. Bar staff great service. Very nice pool.

    4
« Great breakfast, poor signage »

Very nice amenities for a conference, Thursday lunch was good, although ham was cold. Breakfast was above average. Staff was accommodating. I did not use the pool, but the hotel bar was nice. It was a difficult hotel to get around in until you got the feel of the place. My biggest complaint though, was the poor signage on Howell. Most of the hotel is on Edgerton, not Howell, but it is not advertised that way, which caused me drive right past. Signage should be improved. Very decent overall.

    5
    « Excellent Choice! »

This hotel is a very good choice for your next stay! Good clean and comfortable rooms, excellent food, and a professional and friendly staff to make sure your needs are met! If you want a quality guarantee, stay at the Best Western Plus Milwaukee Airport!

    « Very nice staff »

We stayed here 2 nights while helping our daughter find an apt in Milwaukee. I can't say enough great things about Ricco at the front desk. He was so nice, helpful, friendly and just went above and beyond for us. When we told him why we were there he said he would look into apts and the had this great listing of all these places to check out!! It was amazing, never had anyone do all that at a hotel for us. Thanks again Ricco. The rest of the staff was friendly too. We will definitely stay here again if needed and recommend you ask for Ricco if you check in, he's the best!!

    4
« Great staff member Ricco »

We used this site for an overnight stay and secure parking for a trip. The room met all our expectations and the staff we encountered went above and beyond. The one person we want to thank and who went over and above for us from our sign in to helping us after arriving to retrieve our car was Ricco. He was the on-duty front desk person when we signed in and completed the process efficiently and had us in our room within 10 minutes. What Ricco did after we returned was above and beyond anything we could have asked of him and the Best Western. We had a dead battery and when we went into the lobby to start trying to locate a service at 10 pm to help us, he stepped in and told us he could help. He called for someone to cover the desk and brought a portable jumping unit and started our car. He truly saved us a long night and allowed us to return home at a reasonable time. If for no other reason than the service provided, we recommend staying at this hotel.

    5
« Great place for stay and fly »

We like the location of this Best Western because we can do the stay and fly package and literally be at the airport in 5 minutes. Great transportation service and of course the night before we go to the lounge for food and drinks. Great value, great service.

    4
« Clean with friendly staff »

Stayed prior to an early flight. Staff and airport driver were very friendly. Food at restaurant was good. Rooms were clean. Had poolside room. Was a bit noisy during Easter break, but pool closed at 10:00 pm.

  • 3
    « Expect Noise »

We were by pool area on the end near the bar and reception room. Between the pool noise which we expected we could also on Saturday night hear a reception going on 1 floor down. Room was OK. Desk area needed more outlet for phone and computer. We expected a restaurant and bar/grill but they have closed restaurant and only use it for breakfast.

    4
    « Board Meeting »

We used this hotel for a two day board meeting. The staff was extremely accommodating, adjusting to changes in participants and lunch orders with no complaints. The quality of the rooms was also excellent. The prices were generally quite reasonable, given the hotel, although the various charges for the board meeting space did seem a little expensive. We would definitely recommend and use this hotel again.

    « Tammy »

flying out the next morning very early and wanted a good night sleep. At about 2:00 in the morning a large group of very intoxicated people came back to the hotel and were 2 doors down from us. Fowl language, fighting etc. We did not sleep after that. We did not hear that anything was taken care of by staff until the morning. We feel we should have been compensated for this inconvenience and since we just returned home last evening will be contacting the hotel direct.

    « yuk »

I stayed there for convenience. I am from out of town and had an early flight. I needed parking and shuttle. The room smelled stale and of cigarette smoke. The pizza I ordered from room service was barely edible. My flight was early so no breakfast was offered. My guess is that would have been barely edible as well.

    4
« Perfect set up before a flight »

Nice set up before a flight out. The staff was helpful, the room was older but a nice size. Only one issue, the heater was loud and not working well. The shuttle was prompt on delivery and ick up. Nice coffe set up. A bar and restaurant in the building was helpful.

    5
« My stay at Best Western »

A very nice experience. I always recommend family and friends to stay here when traveling. The rooms are always clean and presentable. They all love this place. My mother was impressed with the comfort of the bed and how she had a great nights sleep, which was a good thing. I guess the only thing I couldn't find was a channel guide, which wasn't a big deal but to out of town guests, it would be a good thing to have in the rooms. Great stay though

    5
    « nice shuttle service »

happy with shuttle service to airport. No extra charge and runs 24 hours, some hotels offer shuttle but not until 7am and some charge an additional fee for shuttle. Will definitely stay here again when flying from Milwaukee airport

« They made us happy when we were feeling blue! »

We were only staying at the hotel for the night. The reason we chose this hotel was its proximity to the airport and the free parking they provided. When we got to the hotel there were three people working the front desk. All three individuals we're great, the service at this hotel is on the same level as Disney World! The only reason they received a for and notified is that the property is a little dated. The rooms are comfortable and affordable. The pool area is a dome area with plenty of things to do for your family. They even have a small Theatre that's seat about 50 individuals, that runs movies all day long. The shuttle to and from the airport was on time in about 4 minutes away from the airport. The food and the service at the bar and the restaurant in the morning we're above average. So from my family to your family, a big thank you for getting a horrible vacation back on track!!!

I am part of an annual group that heads up to Milwaukee with a group of dads and their daughters from 1 grade - 3 grade. This year we had our biggest turnout with over 45 people and the hotel we originally planned to stay at closed for remodeling a month before we were set to arrive. We had to scramble to find a place and this hotel was most accommodating. They made sure we have everything we needed and did everything to help us and get the setup we required. The rooms were nice and clean and the pool was a big hit with kids. The free breakfast also made it nice in the morning to feed all the hungry people. The staff here was great and very respectful. They too were all very eager to make sure we had a nice time and were very responsive to an issues that arose, which were not very many. I dealt with Michelle, the Catering manager, and she was wonderful. I would definitely stay hear again with this group!!!

« A Plug For Rico The head Trainer »

We have stayed at this Best Western several times over the course of the last 10 years. Recently we had a billing problem when one of two of our reserved rooms had a different arrival date than the other. As a result, our credit card was charged as a no show for the one room. I just wanted to put a plug in for Rico, the lead trainer, for taking the initiative and fixing the problem. I was disappointed that my first two calls resulted in the buck being passed to upper management who never contacted me back, Note: One manager was out of the office the day I called, but the front desk attendant I spoke with never mentioned that. After a third call, Rico fixed the problem immediately himself. Thank you Rico!

    « One Night Stay »

We stayed here for one night before traveling to Punta Cana. Very nice hotel which we love Best Westerns anyway. Room was real nice pool-side, had 2 queen beds, for 1 night it was good, bed slept good, nice pillows. Went down to the Aviator lounge for drinks and food, had lousey service, waiter was over worked and inexperienced to say the least, our drink orders were screwed up and slow as hell. The up side was the full rack of ribs I had were delicious only $18, this hotel has no secured parking like other hotels near the airport............................................

« Great super clean hotel close to airport »

This was the best Best Western hotel I have ever stayed in. The bed was very comfortable, room very clean, pool area awesome, and the staff was very helpful and pleasant. If you need a hotel near the airport for an early morning flight, this hotel has 24 hour shuttle service. This was a great value.

    « Great Hotel »

We go someplace every year for pleasure & have come back to this hotel several times. This hotel's staff is great & the breakfast/restaurant is very good. We have few problems & the staff was fast to resolve it when we did, for example, brought a DVD player with us & they came & hooked it up in a very timely manner. Great service!

« A quick stay before flying out »

If you book this hotel on a 3rd party site like Expedia and are staying for a "park and fly" the price you pay doesn't include parking. You will have to pay $6 a day to park. Not a big deal for us cause it was cheaper to add on the parking vs pay the flat hotel stay "park and fly" rate of $135 a night.

    « Disrespectful Waitress »

The experience at breakfast was not the best. The lady name Lana was so disrespectful she took my plate from me before I was even finished eating. I told her I was not done she said just go get another plate. I advise her I didn't want to she just kept arguing with me being very disrespectful. Through my whole time there she just kept looking at me, saying rude little comments and was rushing me and my family to get out . I asked to speak to a manager and she did not get them . DONT GO TO THE BREAKFAST the food was also cold!!!

    « Very Good »

We had a reservation at the Midway Suites in Brookfield - did not know they closed until we went to check in. Called the BW Airport immediately and they were very accommodating with finding me a room. The kids wanted to swim. We got there a little early and they got me a room right away. Everyone was friendly and very professional. Pool area is very nice and rooms were clean, but it is an older property. Only issue is that parking is hard to come by. Once you get a spot don't leave. Movies for kids on the weekend, which is nice. Restaurant is just ok..

    « Worst Western Plus »

This was the worst experience I've had at a Best Western hotel. The room was dirty with remnants of food on floor from the previous occupants. The carpet was dirty; I didn't want to walk on it without shoes on. The food in the sports bar was poorly cooked and nearly inedible (but the wait staff was nice). There was no available parking. Had to park off the grounds and trundle my luggage quite a distance. Overall a negative experience.

    « Decent Hotel »

The hotel and staff were very nice. We went to the Aviator restaurant and two out of the three things we ordered from the menu they didn't have. Service was slow at best and when we did get our food it was lukewarm. I had read some less than great reviews on the restaurant but we decided to try it anyway and I would have to agree with those reviews. The music in there was so loud you could not have a conversation with the person across the table. If you aren't going to open the restaurant portion and use only the sports bar, then I think you should think about the age group of people and families that might solicit your business. There were no towels at the pool area and when they finally brought some (over an hour later) they were very small. The area around the pool was not clean by any means - after breakfast in the morning the trash was still there. A+ on the rooms and staff..... C-D on the rest.

    « Very Nice Hotel »

My family from out of town was staying here over the weekend to visit. On Saturday we ended our day on the town at the bar. Jack made the visit exceptional. He was extremely courteous and very funny. Our drinks always stayed full. Keep up the good work. Our family had an excellent time and will stay again.

    « Airport hotel »

We were traveling out of state and needed a hotel close to the airport. We were able to leave our car there, and the hotel provided pick-up and delivery to the airport...a huge plus. Our room was very clean and comfortable, the hotel also has a bar and restaurant attached (no need to go out into the cold)...another plus. We will stay here anytime we will be using the Milwaukee airport.

    3
    « Cozy »

The hotel was nice and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. Hot breakfast was great every morning as well as the wait staff. Overall the stay was good and the hotel as well. The only issue we had was the guest dryer was not working. Housekeeping was nice enough to dry our clothes.

« Needs a facelift, but nice pool »

Pool area looked great (we didn't use, but sat near for drinks). Rest of hotel is showing its age and wear. Front desk staff was excellent. Mini movie theater for kids was a nice touch. Room was dated but decent. Beds very uncomfortable and temp control was difficult. Walls seemed thin allowing a lot of noise through. Just not a comfortable nights sleep prior to our trip.

    3
    « Great Pool area »

We had a family get together and stayed at this hotel. The price was great. The pool area for the grandkids swimming was great. We all enjoyed that area. The rooms were nice and clean. The outside of the building and the halls could use some updating but there was nothing wrong with them. Would consider staying here again if it works out that way.

    2
    « Bed..... So uncomfortable ! »

The most uncomfortable king size bed my husband and I ever slept on. Tiny square pillows need to go. We both spent our Punta Cana vacation at the spa trying to relieve the pain in our necks and shoulders. This was the second time we had stayed at this hotel. We do not recall the beds being so uncomfortable when we stayed at this hotel a few years back. Nice lounge area and breakfast was ok. We did not use the pool this time. During our previous stay, our teenage children loved the pool.

    « Excellent Hotel »

When in Milwaukee Wisconsin, I wouldn't stay anywhere else! We stay there when we go to the doctors every 3 months and the entire staff is very helpful and as always very genuine, helpful and pleasant. The rooms are always clean and spacious.

« Best Western Milwaukee airport »

The check-in went quickly and the room was clean. We have stayed there several times before going on vacation and have used their park and fly. It is very convenient to the airport and only takes their shuttle 5 minutes to get there. They have a nice bar/restaurant with pretty good food that is reasonably priced. The wait staff was very friendly.

    5
    « Park And Fly »

We stayed at another Hotel for the park and fly program (Days Inn) and when we returned from our trip we called that hotel 4 times for the shuttle van to pick us up we kept getting told he is on his way. 1 hour later he still hadn't picked us up. Ricco from Best Western saw we were standing waiting for a shuttle and he offered to take us to the other hotel where are vehicle was parked. We were very appreciative of his offer and next time we need a park and fly hotel for a trip we will stay at Best Western!

Very clean rooms. A very filling breakfast enjoyed Friendly staff at check in and at check out time A nice sitting area to wait in till shuttle took us to the air port to fly out and will pick you up when you return. There are several resturants close by to get a meal

    « Great place to stay for a stay/park & fly! »

This hotel is great! Friendly service, good breakfast and fast pick up from the airport to hotel. They were there within 5 minutes of our call. The hotel is clean, breakfast is good, staff is friendly. We stay here every time we fly out of Milwaukee.

« Just an ok stay!!! »

The hotel was just ok. I feel that the staff were not very professional nor helpful. I did like that the rooms were pool view and that the hotel had a restaurant and a bar onsite. It was also very easy to find right off the interstate although it was a little loud at night from people in the pool its an ok hotel The outside of the hotel was not very inviting and the parking lot stayed full but I guess on can overlook that

    « Park and fly »

Very good reception by a very nice girl named Andorra. She was funny and very helpful. The evening supervisor who picked us up at the airport was great. Hotel just perfect. Room has those trendy short pillows. This is the only reason I did not rate this a five-star.

« What a great staff and so close to airport »

We arrived at hotel after getting a flat tire on the way down so it had been a long trip to find we did not have a reservation. The staff was very helpful getting us a quiet room and making sure the credit card had not been charged for the missing reservation. The shuttle trips were booked for the time when we needed to go to the airport and they booked us an off time slot. The driver Rico was great. Took us exactly where we needed to go and was there when we came back 6 days later waiting! The bus was half Spanish speaking gand he flipped between languages seemlessly. When we got back to the hotel my battery was dead and the staff again came to the rescue. The room was clean, the area they put us in was quiet and the mini breakfast available at 4 AM was appreciated. It was only about 8 minutes from hotel to airport which was great. I would definitely stay here again when flying out of Milwaukee.

    « Weekend getaway »

Food is a little pricey. But the hotel is perfect. location is perfect- close to other restuarnts. Close to the airport. Would recommend if coming in a group to insist on your rooms together otherwise you will be in different parts of the hotel. (which seems to be normal for hotels)

    « Not a horrible stay »

We stayed here for two nights on a road trip through Wisconsin this past Fall. Pluses: we were able to park close to the elevator and our daughter liked the pool. Minuses: The pool area was not as clean as I would have liked and the breakfast was in a restaurant setting and you had to give your room number and then wait for them to approve you for the buffet. We were also given our cutlery when they checked us in for breakfast. I realize they might have had guests and members of the public also coming in for breakfast, but it felt weird to us. Also the buffet was dismal... we had much better meals at the Americinns/days inns that we stayed at. Room was reasonably clean, but the hotel seemed dated and tired. We wouldn't stay here again.

    « New years eve »

We have stayed here before but never for New Years.I will start by saying when we checked in on Wednesday I wasnt told about anything about the festivities going on the next night or needing wristbands. Thats the only bad part . now the good stuff.the breakfest buffet was really good and lots of options including silk milk which my daughter was in heaven. The two ladies in there were so nice and helpful and kept everything hot and stocked both nights.the new years eve for the kids was a huge surprise with the movies food music and balloon drop. Not knowing before they had an adult new year's we were at a differant place but that will change next year by coming back and staying in one spot. Another shout out was to the housekeeping staff.we asked for towels at 3:30 when it was crasy busy with cheakins and we got them in 10 minutes.wow... also the extra security on that night was huge in my eyes and a extra comfort.

    3
    « New Years Eve. »

My husband is disabled. When I rented the room I asked for a room on the 1st floor and got 1 on the 2nd floor. They did accomidate us with a wheelchair but I had a hard time getting it in and out of the elevator. We will see what happens this coming yr.

    « Family visit »

Our overnight stay at this hotel was pleasant. Beds were great, breakfast had a vast array of offerings. We have stayed at this hotel before. For a quick overnight stay I would recommend this hotel because of the ease of leaving and re-entering the highway.

« Good Choice for Park and Fly »

Nice Hotel right by the Milwaukee Airport. Shuttle service was good. Food in the Aviator Lounge was very good. Ordered sandwiches and fries. Very tasty and done to perfection. We would stay here again and use the Park and Fly option. We usually leave before the breakfast is set up, but would like to see what they have to offer.

    5
« Great location - bring your swim suit »

I enjoyed my one night stay. The room was too warm for my taste but overall it was extremely comfortable. The restaurant was also very good with excellent service. If you're flying out plan on n staying here.

    « Never slept! »

Stayed here on a Friday night In preparation for a 16 hour drive to NY. I never slept! The heater was so loud every time it went on, about every 10-15 mins. Then, the garbage men came at around 4 in the morning. The bed also felt crooked. I was like a zombie driving to NY. The worst experience I've EVER had in a hotel.

« friendly staff, clean, no complaints »

Hotel is near the airport . Easy access to freeway, restaurants, and it has a pool for the kids. The bed was comfortable. Extra large pillows are a little annoying when it comes time to lay your head down to sleep. The large HD TV is nice and the wifi worked well. There's a bar/restaurant attached to the hotel. it was nice to be able to walk down and get a carry out for the room. Nice size parking lot with many entrances. This is a best western near the airport so its not super fancy but my stay was good the friendly stay did a great job.

    « A Great place to stay...... »

A great place to stay when traveling out of the airport. Comfortable rooms good internet. There is a quiet area to this hotel, so don't le the pool area scare you away. Shuttle drivers were knowledgeable and prompt. There is a restaurant and full bar, sports bar type food is good ,service was excellent. Room service is also available The only complaint I had was the bed was to soft.

« Great Breakfast, No Heat »

Didn't check in until 2 am, after the Packer game in Green Bay. It was 3am when we realized the heat wasn't going to work. We were too tired to change rooms. On checkout, the desk clerk said they had more than one room with broken heaters. Why would you check any one into them???? It's WINTER! Tried to warm up with a hot bath, but the tub drain stop wouldn't hold water. Other than that, the stay was good. Bed was comfy. Room nicely decorated, even though doors and hallways are dated. Beautiful pool area. The best part of the stay was the hot breakfast... eggs, sausage, waffles, french toast sticks. Beautiful restaurant, we ate by the fireplace. The waitress was great... very friendly!

    « Bad manager »

I was home for Thanksgiving and stayed here. My grandchildren and some of my family came to visit. The female manager (probably 2nd shift) approached 2 of my guests and started yelling at them telling them we were not allowed to bring in outside food. I then intervened since I was the customer renting the room. When I visited at Easter I went into the restaurant to order a pizza and was told I could not order and bring a pizza out of the restaurant. So I then ordered one from an outside source. The manager this time she would allow and pretty much told me I was lying about my Easter experience I the restaurant. There were other people around the pool area that also brought in outside food. Not a word was said to them. She also went into the pool area I yelled at my grandchildren that were in the hot tub. Nobody else's children that were there. She was just watching us. She was really rude and I believe I will not be staying there again because of her.

Love the pool, hot tub, good location to downtown but will probably not return due to the very uncomfortable beds that sag in the middle and the lousy pillows. The restaurant is under staffed so service is slow.

    « A Bad night at MKE »

Bad room location and surly staff. Not very good for a hotel I have used happily before, and the GM has not returned my call for over 36 hours. With all the choice at this airport, I'm reluctant to stay here again given this bad experience.

    5
« Perfect overnight stay by the airport »

This was a perfect overnight stay before our 5am flight out of Milwaukee airport. Shuttle service was on-time, and was only 5 minutes away from the airport. We were able to leave our car at the hotel for the 4 days we were gone. Pool area was very nice, and we were able to un-wind in the jacuzzi (that was large enough to hold 20 people). We will definitely use again!!

    « Scam »

Dirty, room unstocked, welfare convention in the hallway, lied to & my wife & child were scammed while I was at business. DO NOT take the camel jockey coach operating out of an old RV parked in the street! Must be a relative of one of the staff! They would not shuttle my family, lied about it the shuttle & then recommended Rahshi to get them to their destination! The lady at the lounge was very hospitable tho!

    « Very Nice Hotel »

Have stayed at Best Western hotels now for the last year and have always been pleased with the staff and hotel experience. This hotel was very nice, quiet, which I was wondering about since it is right next to the airport, but no problem with noise whatsoever. I didn't use the pool and hot tub but they looked nice and clean, well maintained. Will use this hotel again when I come to see my family.

« Clean and Convenient Nr. Mitchell International Airport »

Flying out of Milwaukee the other night when big storms blew through Chicago and Milwaukee causing our flight to be cancelled. Best Western Plus was nearby, clean and a great price for someone NOT wanting to sleep in the terminal building. The driver who picked us up was very courteous, check-in easy. The room was nice...a bit dated but clean and orderly. The mattresses could use an update but otherwise, no complaints. We were all hungry and tired and frazzled, so we repaired to the bar for a drink and a snack...good selection of local/Wisconsin beers and tasty deep-fried curds so who can complain? Buffet breakfast was just "OK." Overall, a very solid stay...a bit out of the way for an average stay in Milwaukee, but came through in the pinch for a stranded traveler...all in a very professional and friendly manner.

« Late Pickup at Airport »

We stayed at this hotel prior to departure for our vacation. Our stay at the hotel was very good and the shuttle to the airport in the morning was prompt. However, upon return we called for our shuttle pickup and the woman that answered told us the shuttle would be there to pick us up shortly. After 30 minutes of standing out in the cold we called again. This time a man answered and we were told that they were unaware that we were waiting. After 45 minutes we were finally picked up. We fly out of Milwaukee frequently and would like to make this our "go to" hotel, however we were very disappointed in the pickup service.

« Unbelievably Nice Hotel to be a Best Western »

Unbelievably Nice Hotel to be a Best Western! I stay every time I visit Milwaukee. It's practically walking distance from the airport altho there is a free shuttle, there is a bar inside the hotel, as well as a full service restaurant on-site, that also delivers to your room. In addition, their free breakfast is not the typical continental bkfast you find at other hotels. The bathrooms are upgraded with granite countertops and lastly, yet most importantly, the hotel has NO ODOR.

« Review of Milwaukee Airport »

We have stayed at the Best Western Milwaukee Airport mainly for the "Fly and Drive: program. The staff is always friendly and very helpful. The are warm and inviting and the food in both of the restaurants if tasteful and generous. The airport shuttle is on time both for pick up and delivery. The driver is courteous and helpful with our bags. The experience that my wife and I have had has been excellent. I guess that's why we keep coming back.

    « Excellent Accommodations »

When our flight was cancelled because of bad weather we were very depressed. We were able to get the shuttle to the Best Western Hotel very close to the airport and were very happy that we followed the shuttle driver's recommendation to stay there. We were pleased with our spacious and well-appointed room and were able to relax at the Friday night fish fry in the hotel restaurant. We enjoyed the nicely presented breakfast with a good variety of offerings. The shuttle got us to the airport in plenty of time to get our morning flight. We found the hotel staff to be friendly and helpful.

    3
« Airport Shuttle was great »

We stayed here because we had an early flight. When we checked in, the lady seemed very preoccupied. When I asked for a shuttle, she said ok, you've booked, but never did anything. After having supper at in the hotel, I went back to the front desk to confirm the shuttle. We were not booked at all. The manager fixed that for us, and everything worked fine the next morning. The return shuttle was timely and great as well.

    « Average value »

Overall it was OK. Did not receive express checkout. Breakfast was not good. Eggs and pancakes were not even edible. My wife couldn't cut a precooked pancake with the plastic knife. The eggs were grainy and had the consistency of rubber. Not good. Not up to BW's standards.

This hotel is terrific with it's staff, lobby, location to the airport. However the hallways, elevators and rooms are VERY dated. Not only in updating, but in repairs. That being said, the room was clean, bed was comfortable and their proximity to the airport and staff are excellent.

    « Great airport hotel »

This hotel was perfect for staying close to the airport. We came in late, needed a place to stay before getting up early and heading off on our vacation. The 24 hour airport shuttle was fantastic. The breakfast provided was good too.

    « Okay Place »

My family and I stayed here for two nights while visiting family, it's very close to the airport and our room was very quiet and clean. Staff very friendly. We had a glitch upon checking in as we had prepaid through Southwest for our air and hotel but the card Southwest used (not ours) was declined with the hotel. We had to call Southwest directly and that representative then had to speak to the hotel directly. It was all resolved and I don't know which end was the problem. The breakfast was included but needed a lot to be desired. The first morning the plates were dirty with old food stuck on....not very appetizing to say the least. So I just had the cereal that was already packaged in a bowl. It was an okay place but I don't know if I'd stay here again.

« Milwaukee Airport Hotel - Convenient and Relaxing »

The focus of the hotel is its large indoor pool. It is a great place to relax on a snowy day. The banquet and meeting facilities are complemented by its sports bar and a couple of excellent nearby restaurants across the street. The hotel is located next to the airport making it easily accessible by cab or auto. Milwaukee is an outstanding town to visit. This is one of Milwaukee's most accessible and comfortable hotels.

    « Absolute Nasty »

The hallways leading to the room were dirty and the carpet was falling apart. There were attempts made to update the room but the old paint, cracking woodwork, dirty walls, smell, and beds that were broken just outweighed the updates. The beetle crawling around my door when I left just was the icing on the cake. Would not recommend anyone stay here, not even for free.

« The Perfect Wedding Reception! »

I had my wedding here this summer, June 27. It was an experience I will obviously not forget! But, what made it from great to fantastic was the amazing service of staff, the caring attention of the staff to my guests and my needs, and the perfect coordination done by Michelle!! I've had many guests come back to me saying how wonderful the ballroom was, the servers were, and just the overall feel of Best Western! Our honeymoon suite was perfect as well and breakfast was great! Also! The dinner served by this hotels chef was superb!!! To die for! If doing a wedding here (which you should) get the egg rolls and bacon wrapped chestnuts for appetizers and for dinner the reisling chicken with cream sauce, the cranberry pork, and blackened tilapia. Yum! I have to thank Michelle so so so much for being there for me for the 9 months leading up to my wedding and always answering my many emails! We are grateful!

« Too bad it was just one night »

This hotel has great rooms and a wonderful free breakfast, not to mention an inviting pool and hot tub. It felt like a waste of good amenities to spend just one night and fly out. However, if you are just spending a night before you catch a plane, it is good to have a restaurant and lounge attached. We returned our rental car the night before to make the morning more relaxed.

    3
    « Plus what? »

We chose a Best Western Plus because in the past we've experienced the Plus hotels as pretty special with expansive rooms. These rooms are fine but nothing special. The staff, however was very accommodating. Flawless really. I'm giving the hotel and average because it feels average in its price range. The Aviator bar and grill was a disappointment. Over cooked veggies and very plain Jane presentation. For example, my Portobello burger was alone on the plate. Not even a sprig of parsley to brighten it up. If you stay at the hotel I recommend going further a field to eat.

Getting to the hotel ...
