The room was spotless. The beds were really comfortable. The pool was so relaxing. The breakfast bar was tasty and plentiful whit great waffles! Mark was so accommodating and a real pleasure to talk to. Yes, I would definitely stay here again!
We have stayed here several times, but can tell it's getting older without updates. The bathtub/shower has no grab bars, no shelf for soap and shampoo, and the tub is slick. We put a towel down to stand on in the shower. We slept ok, but the mattress was not the best. We didn't get breakfast, but there were several items available. I usually grab a piece of fresh fruit, but they didn't have any. Mark, at the desk when we checked in, was super nice.
This is a much smaller and older hotel (all the room doors open to the outside). However, it's still a great hotel for a 1 or 2 night stay. My room was clean and functional. They had a full breakfast (eggs, meat, cereal, etc). Staff was very helpful. I'd stay again.
Excellent front desk service. Professional and courteous and knowledgeable. Went home for the holiday. Amenities were clean, and the room was updated and modern. The TV and movie channels were great. Would highly recommend.
Everything was great. The bed was comfortable, the room clean and Mark at the front desk was the best. He was friendly and funny. I had problems with my BW gift card, but he was very helpful. There was a nice hot breakfast in the lobby. We will definitely be back.
This is a motel style hotel, so the rooms open to the parking lot. Beds are comfortable, rooms clean. The fridge does not have a freezer. The tub drains slowly. Free breakfast with waffles, eggs, sausages, biscuit, fruit, cereal, yogurt, etc.
This was one of the cleanest and best places we have stayed. The bed was comfortable and the shower was very good. Breakfast was well presented, fresh and flavorful. The breakfast area was clean and comfortable. The staff professional and extremely friendly and helpful. I will stay here any time I return to this area.
I stayed for one night at this property. There was some traffic noise because of the proximity to a major highway. The staff acted courteous and helpful. The breakfast was average with a good selection. Scrambled "Egg Disks" are not my favorite but there were plenty of carbs available. The Biscuits and gravy surprised me by tasting fairly good. I paid $93/night and any more I would have considered too much.
Good, mid priced option if traveling through Marshall. We needed a clean, reasonably priced, comfortable spot for a night. This fit the bill. Staff was helpful. Everything worked in the room. Bed was comfortable. No frills and not updated but appropriate hotel for the price.
Traveling across country, we have stayed in 4 other hotels so far. Three Best Western, a Fairfield Inn and a Hilton Garden. This is one of the top 2. Both are Best Western. Oddly enough, the last two nights we have had issues with having hot water. This should be a basic item that should not be a problem. This hotel has an easy to use, basic shower with plenty of hot water and a great showerhead. The room is clean. It's warm. So far it's quiet and I have no complaints. If you are mobility challenged and cannot be on the first floor, this will be an issue for you. Trudy was a great hostess, but had no other downstairs rooms. So be sure you request this when reserving a room. We are staying here Christmas night and there are lots of workers here. There is a full breakfast in the AM that I assume will be great. You can get coffee and juice any time! Also vending and ice, and a laundry near the office. My only recommendation is that you all get some bigger and better quality towels for the rooms.
The room was clean and comfy. The breakfast, however leaves much to be desired. You would think that being an "Executive Inn" the offerings would be plentiful. Arrived to the small breakfast area to find no eggs, no sausage, no biscuits and no toast ready for the guests. The morning guy blamed it on the overnight person, but he should have Deen working on it himself then. My nephew asked about the biscuits and he said it was too late to make more. It was 8:44. So realistically, the breakfast was muffins, pancakes and cereal. Disappointed in the lack of urgency.
The sofa even had a pet cover so that we could allow our dog to sleep on it. The room was spacious and we could park our car at our door. The lower floor in the back had no traffic noise, and was convenient to a place to wslk the dog.
The rooms were large with two queen size beds, larger than I expected. We chose this hotel as they accepted pets. There was some road news at night as we had a room faceing the main road, a room on the back side would be quieter. Overall I was happy the rooms had been updated and were clean.
Family went on a family reunion and stayed at this hotel been staying at this hotel every family reunion for the last 13 years son and the father staring and watching the family which was over 20 of us like we were criminals but I actually think it was because the color of our skin and then this year 2020 they started $100 deposit
Staff is very friendly & accommodating! Rooms are super clean & comfortable. Rooms must be insulated well as the hotel was pretty full and did not hear anything from upstairs or either side rooms. Would definitely recommend this hotel if you are in Marshall TX or even close to here.
I would've given it a 5, but the Kleenex box was empty, there was no plastic bag for our laundry, and the cord for the hair dryer was so short, I couldn't move my head around enough to dry my hair like I usually do. I know these are trivial things, but otherwise, everything was great. The man and woman at the desk were very nice and friendly. They had grab and go bags for breakfast, but said they were starting the regular hot breakfast next week. We've been here before and I'm sure we will return to this hotel.
My husband and I love to have a night to ourselves away from the kids. We love best western and their amenities. Definitely recommend the stay. The staff was pleasant and nice. Thanks for the great service.
This Property is a very clean place to stay. The people there care about their customers I enjoy myself every time I stay there. They keep everything so clean. The breakfast is slim but its cautious of the Covid .
I was at the hotel for four nights and the family that owns and runs it were truly great. They are happy, personable, and take meticulous care of the building and grounds. It's not a new building but it is carefully maintained. The desk is manned around the clock and any questions are dealt with immediately. I needed to check out an hour late and it was no problem at all.
Stayed here on a show weekend. I only gave a 2 star because they were generous and easy to deal with. The room on other hand upset me. When I walked in the room I walked around and noticed that there were obvious problems and the bathroom was set up poorly with the toilet almost up against the wall. Once I unpacked I sat back on the bed and turned the tv on. At no point my entire night or next morning did the tv work. It came on but no signal to the box. Will probably be avoiding this place my next visits.
Didn't know it was a Grab and Go breakfast until I asked what time was breakfast. When you walk into lobby everything is set up for a “normal breakfast “ so it is deceiving! Let cation and s great and room is in need of an update.
Great staff, clean room, comfy bed but the noise from the hwyway traffic is loud. We stayed on the front side due to renovations being done on the back side. We will stay again but on the back side for sure.
Awesome service. The people were gracious and respectful This is the only hotel we ever stay at when traveling. The people are great and were very conscious of our needs. The rooms were spacious and clean.
Older motel but it was clean and the staff was particularly friendly and helpful. Noisy on the highway side but it calmed down after dark. Had custom Grab Bag breakfast – allowed customers to select items for breakfast. Served coffee, tea, and juice. Pet friendly
If you are traveling I-20 and West of Shreveport this is a nice clean place to stop. The rooms are very comfortable and the staff is helpful and friendly. There are plenty of good places to eat within walking distance. Very nice stop after a long day on the road.
We stayed at this hotel 11 nights! We were here for work! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone and will always stay here when in the area! The staff was very friendly and made sure our stay was very comfortable! The owner went above and beyond to make sure we were accommodated and gave us an awesome rate! Family oriented place to stay. Overall great stay!
The room was clean (except for what looked like a small blood stain on the curtains) and nice-looking. I had no problems and it seemed safe. It was right next to a road, but not a very busy one, at least when I went there, so it wasn't too noisy. We stayed in a room with a king-sized bed, but the couch was comfortable, and my sister decided to sleep on it. The full price was a little over $80 with tax included.
We have stayed here on several different occasions. The rooms are always clean and the staff has always been friendly. We have enjoyed the breakfast during each stay. The WiFi is very good with all of us using it.
We spent two nights in a great room. Nice to look at and comfortable. I slept well. The internet worked great, which I usually find is not the case at most hotels. Staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was at a convenient location for us with plenty of food options nearby.
Room was clean, cozy and amenities were updated. Staff was very friendly and professional. Place was well lit and ample parking. Seamless check in and check out process. Definitely would recommend specific location and staff.
Wonderful overall experience within 4 day stay; lovely Staff Members and enjoyed meeting Owner as well, who very kindly assisted me with a 'Business need Request'. My non-smoking King Size Bed Room was very clean, the bed & bedding were VERY comfortable; great TV with wide range of 'premium programs' available, including my preferred News Stations. Very reasonable rates for we folks on a budget. Would highly recommend the Best Western in Marshall, Texas to anyone in need of a hotel there - and will continue to patronize this establishment when I'm there! Many thanks & Kudos to all there!
Very disappointed in this AAA motel! Paid a lot of money to get a room here. It was clean but the TV didn't work and the toilet was stopped up. 2 hours later had to move us to another room but the lock was broke so unable to leave without getting locked out
We enjoyed our last stay and this one was wonderful too. Very convenient location just off the inter-state. Employees were Polite and friendly. Rooms were clean. Breakfast was awesome with a wide variety.
Hotel staff was friendly and made us feel welcomed. The hotels grounds and rooms very clean. Lots of fast food and restaurants in close proximity. Hot breakfast with wide variety. Recommend this place to all.
We spent one night on our way to Houston. We found the hotel very clean, friendly staff, with everything we needed for a pleasant stay on the road. They are dog friendly and the hotel is easy on, easy off Hwy 59. Parking lot is well lit, which is awesome when taking out the dog at night.
My wife and I were on a sightseeng and antique shopping swing into Northeast Texas, and found this hotel to be ideally located for not only Marshall, but also for Jefferson and Longview. Room was very clean, staff helpful, price reasonable, and location great.
I have stayed here many times in the past and have been very happy, with that being said, i am sad to say I did not enjoy my stay at this hotel, although my experience in the great town of Marshall was great. For a quick check-in and shower this hotel will definitely do, but for a traveler concerned with cleanliness this would not be ideal. Mold and a piece of slime in my ice from the ice machine and I am just not Ok with that. When checking in in the afternoon, I got myself some coffee and noticed in the sunlight how dirty the breakfast appliances were. Although I found the bathroom to be clean, the room felt dingy, sheets not fresh or changed. I come here every year for Christmas festivities so and have been very happy in the past so I am hoping this is a fluke for this hotel and their very polite staff.
Breakfast was good Staff very friendly Shower did not drain properly Hair dryer was barely hanging on wall-afraid to be charged if it fell off They reused the key card envelope. It was obviously used several times. Very unprofessional A/C unit fan was quite loud
We stopped in Marshall best western for one night. The front desk clerk was very nice, the room was very clean. Had a good little hot breakfast in the morning before we left. Kids loved it. Will be staying here again on the next trip.
The staff/owners went out of there way to be accommodating. The hotel is clean, nicely landscaped. This is one of the most friendly BW we have experienced. We will go back if in the area again. TY Pete for making our stay great!
Stayed here at the taile end of a 17 day road trip with friends. Nice clean room. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Very prompt in calling and letting me know I had left a jacket behind and helping me get it back.
I went to Caddo Lake the first weekend in October, 2019, and stayed at the Best Western Executive Inn in Marshall, Texas. The room I had was clean and nice decorated. All appliances worked well. It is conveniently located near the highway and restaurants on the main road. I did all my sightseeing and photography early in the day and was done. I had booked the room for 2 nights but had decided to drive back a day early. I thought I was going to have to pay for the second night but the owner/manager would not have that. They refunded the second night without my asking. If/when I return I will stay there again.
I highly recommend Best Western Executive Inn in Marshall, Texas they have clean and comfortable rooms the management and staff are very polite and kind when they attend you. So if you ever visit Marshall, Texas I recommend this hotel for your stay.
After a long drive with a small pet, a I relied on Best Western's reputation when selecting this hotel. Unfortunately, the young lady at the desk was the only nice thing about the place. The room had a horribly damp and mildew smell; neither the sink or tub would drain properly; and the the bed was like sleeping on a worn-out mattress from hell. And I was charged $100 for this?? Next time...Comfort Inn...Their rooms are better for the price
After driving for 15 hours I chose to stay at the Best Western in Marshall Texas. I'd had a great experience previously at a Best Western, and initially thought this one would be just as good. I was so tired that after two beers I went to sleep in my clothes. When I awoke there was a feces stain on the sheets. I complained to the manager thinking it had been a laundered in stain, and was offered a discount of 10%. The manager (through the front desk employee) said "check the sheets next time before you go to bed." After calling corporate to complain about this the manager called and said the stain wasn't laundered in and that I wouldn't be recieving a discount or a refund! The stain wasn't mine, and the situation was made even worse by his actions! This experience has ruined the brand.
We stayed here one night. The lobby is very clean and up-to-date; it also contains the breakfast area. The front desk staff were helpful and responsive. The room was up-to-date and well-appointed, with everything we needed. My husband felt there was an odor to the room when we first walked in and that the room was a little bit damp, even though the air-conditioner was running. It was nice to have a ceiling fan option in the room, with an overhead light. The toilet and shower area had one of those switches, where when you turn on the light, it also activates a fan; I was happy that the fan was not overly loud. Also, I liked that the tub had some kind of a gritty surface on the bottom so that you would not slip, instead of those ugly rubber bathmats that often times don't look clean. The free breakfast had a lot of choices. The one thing that was missing was an egg entrée; however, in the refrigerator, there were breakfast burritos with egg and sausage that could be heated in the microwave oven in 30 seconds; I had one and it was tasty. The coffee was good, and the breakfast area was kept very clean.
It is an older building and the room was not that nice. There was rust in the bathroom and the heater buttons were very worn. It has Direct TV which we liked. Bed was OK. Things were noticeably worn. Maybe some are nicer. Staff was nice enough.
Nice clean spacious rooms and baths. Good sleep comfort. Amenities include mini-fridge, microwave, iron & board, single serve coffee and hairdryer. Breakfast included a variety of both hot & cold items. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Outdoor pool on site.
The manager and staff deserve a shout-out for their help during our visit. A storm knocked out the electricity during the night and further bad weather was expected, making it a difficult day for everyone. The staff made sure a selection of continental breakfast items was available, and the manager extended our check-out time past the usual time in consideration of the forecast weather conditions that made travel "iffy." Our room was large, with plenty of room for a sofa. The property isn't fancy, and units have exterior doors so there can be a lot of noise from other guests, but it was clean and pet-friendly. Easy access to I20.
Always have good experience with Best Western. After 12 hours of driving, I was ready for a relaxing evening and found it here. Check in was quick and friendly, room with King bed large and clean. Big led screen TV and sofa for kicking back. Overall an excellent experience.
I was able to keep my 2 dogs with me. that is the only good thing I have to say about this place. head house keeper was rude and kept giving me dirty blankets bc I have kids eating cheese puffs... she said she gives me dirty blankets bc my blankets have cheese puffs on them when they get them to the washer.. I cant help that, I have kids. get over it. she started out rude and I wasn't taking her being a total witch to me. they also charge $200 a week for 2 dogs. and when I volunteered to leave they gave me 15 minutes to checkout.. not to mention my husband works 12 hour night shift at the power plant. the plant that keeps their lights on... they are unamerican so that explained a lot.. bottom line I didn't take there crap so I left.. I will NEVER be going back and I will NEVER recommend this crap hole to anyone else. another thing is I bought a BRAND NEW vacuum when I got to Marshall bc like I said my husband works nights. I clean my own room. so brand new and the nasty crap that came up into my sweeper from that place was beyond disgusting... they shampoo them once a year... a pet friendly motel needs more cleaning than that. the blankets and towels always came with black hairs on them. and a pubic hair on one. not clean at all.. also the dresser had dirt in it from what looked like the last persons shoes. lets just say the room is "clean" to others but not to me. I as a professional cleaner see things others dont... needless to say I found a way better motel 10 minutes away in tatum called Belmonte inn, I do recommend bellemonte inn in tatum tx to everyone.. and they are cheap on price. $500 a week or $800 for the month... est western aut to be ashamed. period.NOT KID FRIENDLY...….
First time at this place. Didn't know what to expect. Check In was easy and quick. Every person we had contact with was friendly. They really did seem to care. The breakfast was standard fare but it was hot and fresh both days we were there. I would like to pay a special compliment to the older black lady who was cleaning the rooms. She was so friendly and easy to talk to. If everyone was as nice as her our world would be a better place.
All rooms are pet-friendly, minimal fee, great grass area near pool. Very clean rooms. The bed was a bit hard for my hips, but that is to be expected in a hotel. Can't please everyone with one bed. Great customer service on the phone and in person. If in the area we will stay again.
Clean rooms and lobby. . Friendly, welcoming staff. Great location. Easy interstate acess.. lose to numerous restaurants. Will definitely stay at this location again when travelling thru Marshall, TX.
I stay here a few times during the year. Customer service is top notch. Rooms are really nice and very clean. Breakfast is good also. I like how I can park outside my room. Recommend this hotel in Marshall
My daughter & I had a Comfortable stay at Best WESTERN Executive inn at Marshall, Texas.THE ROOM WAS CLEAN & well stocked. PETE was personable,Helpful & helped us with a good route to Florida. If my daughter & I go the same route home, we will be staying there again. Thank~you again Pete at the front desk.
Trudy checked us in and went out of here way to ensure all my gift cards and credits were applied. This is a old motel which has been updated to Best Western standards. Room was neat and clean. Bedding was not up to par, tv wouldn't work, toilet lid was loose. Biggest complaint was road noise from highway. The good news was it was fair priced
This hotel may look like a older building. But rooms are very NICE AND CLEAN...and i am a VERY picky person on where I stay....breakfast area small but a very nice food setup...everyone was very POLITE!!!! Definitely would stay here again If I'm passing through this area..
Stopped here on the way to Shreveport for an event. I have a Best Western Travel Card, so I was not going to be out any money for the stay. When the room was booked, the front desk clerk did not know how to process the transaction for my Travel Card, so asked if I would stop in before I checked out to finish the transaction. I checked out before 6am the following morning to be in Shreveport on time, and the front desk manager that was in duty then, also did not know how to process the transaction to use my Travel Card. I was short on time so just paid for the room with my personal credit card. I was very unhappy with the fact they could not process the transaction with my Travel Card. I hope if another customer visits and tries to use a Travel Card the staff will be better prepared.
pretty nice place to stay if you are traveling this area. We would probably stay again. The price was right for a stop over place... the free breakfast in the morning was pretty good, about the normal free breakfast. the lady in the breakfast area was very nice...
This is a well run Best Western near the interstate. We asked for a downstairs room and the request was honored. Breakfast is good with waffles, cereal, muffins, juice, etc. They have biscuits and burritos in the refrigerator that you can heat up in the microwave. We have stayed here a few times on our travels and each time is good.
Stopped here on our way to DFW to catch a plane home, and this hotel seemed a good value. The young man who was the manager and/or owner was extremely helpful when we had a key that didn't seem to open the door. He was refurbishing a lot of the rooms and ours was not re-done yet but still comfortable enough.
Rooms were nice, clean, handy to the interstate and reasonable price. About 25 min. to Caddo Lake. Fairly small number if rooms but all face outside so convenient to load and unload. Two story. Mostly chain restaurants of the take out type.
We were looking for a last minute hotel for the Memorial Day weekend. We looked up and found this location. The location is very convenient, with a variety of restaurants and shopping opportunities. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Old, but clean motel. Friendly staff. We were worried about the highway noise and were given a room around the back and were not disturbed by noise. There were children running up and down the upstairs balcony but this all ceased by 9pm. Breakfast was adequate. Good over nighter
This is an old-style, '50s, or possibly '60s MOTEL - the kind in which you park in front of your room. If your room is one the second floor, as mine initially was, the only way to get there is via stair outdoors. If you have any type of mobility issues, you're out of luck because there's no elevator. I avoid these types of places, and had looked through all the property photos before booking online. Not a single photo showed anything that would indicate it was a motel, rather than a hotel. Initially I was told there were no available rooms on the ground floor, but when I asked the manager be contacted, a ground-floor room was located - at a higher price. Contrast this with a modern, BW HOTEL with interior corridors and an elevator, that I stayed at the previous night for less money. In particular, if you're a woman traveling alone, I would avoid this. Also, if you have any sleep issues, all the noise from the adjacent highway will make it a tough night.
Spent one night while working in the area. Very nice. Very clean room. The co-worker I relieved had been in the room for 17 nights and had no complaints at all. I did not get a chance to do breakfast but my guys said it was very good. Good TV. Good Wi-Fi.
We stay at this hotel each year in the summer time, we always have an enjoyable experience. The front deak staff is very friendly and the room is clean. Just wished they had a hot tub, but hey you can't have it all.
We always stay at this hotel when going between Texas and Georgia. It's a nice basic hotel, clean, good location, but what sets it apart is the staff. Specifically Adam, the desk clerk. He knows who we are when we call and has gone out of his way on many occasions to make us feel welcome. When making a reservation at this property I call the property not the 800 number. If you decide to stay there and have any issues just ask Adam for help. If it can be fixed Adam is your guy!
Poor example for a best western This hotel is extremely noisy due to its close proximity to the highway. Only two towels and washcloths, no bath mat, no hand towels and no bed cover or blanket. The vending machine was as empty as Mother Hubbard's cupboard
I booked the Jacuzzi King and it was very clean. The beds were firm and we slept well. The breakfast was hot although crowded in the small area, but everyone is so nice, it doesn't really matter. Wonderful young man, very professional check-in host. I like this roadside hotel very much.
Old motel with updates. The room was clean and fairly comfortable for the price. The outside access was not my preference but it did seem to be a safe area. The staff was pleasant. The upgrades to the rooms were good. Still needed a few things that need to be completed.
My mother and I always plan to stop at this location as the halfway point between New Orleans and Norman, OK. It is always a great stay. We have everything we need, our dogs are satisfied, breakfast is hot and we are back on the road. I make my reservations for the next trip each time I stop!
Priceline room for non-smoking. When I arrived the manager tried to give me smoking room. I advised i was allergic to smoke and would appreciate if he could change to non-smoke which was available. He refused. I offered to pay extra for non-smoking but again he refused. There is not a hint of customer service. My advise avoid this place.
Family of four for a quick overnight stay. Nice staff, clean room, okay beds, fridge and pretty decent free breakfast. I recommend. Lots of restaurants nearby. Walmart nearby also. (3miles). Nice shower head.
We stayed in Room 106, two beds, smoking allowed, handicapped accessible. The room was very clean no smell, comfortable beds. There was some road noise but it was mostly drowned out by the AC. The pool is also handicapped accessible. The owner was behind the desk, and he was very kind and friendly.
Stayed for a week. Had a pretty good experience. Great customer service. There was a complimentary breakfast every morning, not much to choose from but it was pretty good. Room was well kept, and no issues with housekeeping messing with personal items. Staff wad very professional.
For the price, the amenities, and the comfort of the room, Best Western was by far the best value in the area. It is surrounded by two amazing, local restaurants (Cafe Italia and In Japan), has a well-maintained pool for the kids, and the rooms have all the amenities of a $100+ per night hotel. The staff genuinely cares about you and your stay, and they work hard to make sure you have everything you need. You couldn't ask for a better place to call your home away from home.
We actually stayed here twice in a one week period, on our way to and from Seymour Texas. Since we were traveling with a dog, we needed to find a pet friendly motel, and found this one on a web site that listed hotels that would accept our little dog. Our room was clean, big and bright as well as nicely furnished. It had something that I've never seen in a motel before . . . a ceiling fan! While we didn't use it, the motel has a swimming pool, and a grassy area where we could walk the dog. There is a little Italian restaurant next door where we ate dinner on one of our stops. This is definitely the kind of motel that we look for, and consider ourselves lucky to find.
Doesn't look like much from the outside, but rooms are very nice, updated, and clean. Beds and bedding are so comfy. Quiet and relaxing... a great value for a night's stay! We would definitely stay again.
Accomodating staff, nice quiet stay, super convenient location, clean rooms, firm beds, great waffles and free breakfasts, will stay here again. Help at front desk was particularly helpful in providing detailed driving instructions when we departed. Much appreciated!!
Great rooms and great value!! Very respectful staff, laundry was good, didn't partake in breakfast but very good presentation. Updated decor and my daughter and I felt safe since requested room facing the street!
Enjoyed our stay on the way to the beach. Have stayed at this hotel before and would stay again. Breakfast is very good with many hot items. We had a very good stay with no problems and would stay again when we come this way.
Overnighting at Marshall was good for us, as it meant an easy few hours drive to Dallas, our destination. Our room was spacious, clean and quiet, bed comfy. We enjoyed our breakfast, talking with our host, Pete. (The breakfast nook is adjacent to lobby) All breakfast items are wrapped - good for hygiene! We did not opt for hot meal, but noted that fridge to microwave sausage biscuits and yummy looking wraps were available. We were made to feel most welcome by Pete!
Big rooms, good shower and beds. Good signal on wifi. Good hotel to stop overnight while you are traveling. Close to food outlets. Laundry. Very efficient and helpful staff. Clean and friendly. Recommend.
Exceptional service, great overall quality, rented several rooms and all were exceptionally clean. The hotel was exceptionally clean as well. The staff was wonderful in helping us check in as we had multi rooms rented. We travel a lot and always appreciate wonderful service!
Rooms are clean, updated, and comfortable. This is a better place to stay than several much more expensive places we have been and paid a whole lot more money for. Very good value and they really seem to appreciate thier customers.
We always stay at this Best Western in Marshall, for a couple of reasons: it is clean, the location is close to I-20 and we like the staff. Adam, one of the employees there knows us by name and is always welcoming and helpful.
While being there for our motorcycle rally the people bent over backwards to make sure that we were comfortable and didn't have trouble of getting what we needed. The truck noise was not that bad but did wake us up a couple time this was after a 5 day stay
Clean, great service, very friendly helpful staff and good breakfast. Bed was very comfortable. Close to the interstate with many restaurants nearby. Highly recommended to others and will stay here again.
Loved Adam. Liked amenities more than 5 star hotel. Best Western gave more than luxury hotel. Bed needed to be firmer, internet, service, warmth better than 5 star hotel. Loved microwave & refrigerator, better than 5 star hotel.
This hotel badly needs upgrading and cleaned and new linens. Had the sheets changed and it still felt dirty. Definitely not worth the $90 it cost.motel 6 would have been better. I wouldn't recommend this hotel
We only stayed one night on our way back to the Fort Worth area but the staff could not have been nicer. Robin went above and beyond the call of duty. I didn't get the name of the girl that was on the next shift but she was also wonderful. Good help is hard to find -- keep these two girls. The room was clean and comfortable as well. The AC had some sort of issue but not enough to bother the staff. We stayed in room 117 and I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.
If you're looking for a great place to lay your head down for the night, this is the place for you. As a added bonus they have ceiling fans! So you it if you ever and the Marshall Texas area look up this place for sure.
The price was right for an overnight stay. The staff was super friendly and professional. The lobby and grounds were well kept. The rooms were clean and nice, no frills. Our major complaint was the traffic noise. Next to a Well traveled road the noise was all night, including Jake breaks. The hotel was a place for workers to stay as well as and they rose and left well before daybreak.
I stayed here for a long weekend while at a dog competition as they are pet friendly (for a daily fee) and could accommodate me with a first floor room. Additionally, they are an exterior access facility which I prefer, especially when traveling with my dogs. This allows me to park outside of my door, easily take my dogs outside and I can easily load/unload my belongings. Adam, the front desk clerk, was very helpful when i made my reservation as well as with any questions I had during my stay. He was always friendly and happy to assist me. My non-smoking room was furnished with 2 Q beds and all amenities such as microwave and refrigerator, hair dryer, etc. My room was fairly large and had a nice flat screen TV. The bathroom was up to date and had a nice sized counter to place my toiletries. My only complaint about the bathroom was that when the bathroom light was on, the vent fan made a very loud noise the entire time. The air conditioner worked well. My room was on the back side of the hotel which was close to the grassy area for my dogs and more quiet than the front rooms closer to the highway. My only other problem during my stay was that my key needed to be reprogrammed each day. There were several restaurants within walking distance, and i especially enjoyed the Italian restaurant just down the block. I would definitely stay here again.
I think hotels are overpriced in Marshall, Texas. This room with a king bed cost $77. It was one of the less expensive Marshall hotels that got decent ratings. The lady who checked me in was decidedly unfriendly, which I found odd and off-putting. When I entered the room, I immediately noticed an unpleasant smell. It resembled insecticide, but I can't be sure what caused it. The room appeared to be clean and was comfortable enough for a no frills, one-night stay. It was nice to have a microwave and small refrigerator. The bed was comfortable, and the HVAC system worked well and wasn't too loud. The room with the toilet and bathtub/shower was lit by one light that was part of the vent. It had a low wattage bulb in it, making this room very dark. The sink faucet dripped and had to be fiddled with to turn it off. I would stay there again if the nearby Fairfield was much more expensive, as it was this trip.
clean room good rate good service one improvement for breakfast more protein like eggs but can't complain with the rate Good area no problems with reservation actually got there early and was allowed to checkin
The staff was extremely helpful and kind. Room was very clean and updated. The bed was clean and perfect for a good night sleep. I used the laundry and it was neat and tidy as well. The property was clean and close to the freeway, but no too close. The pool was very clean and inviting. I would definitely stay here again.
The outside of the hotel was not empressive. It was a small hotel. However, it was clean looking. The lobby was small but modern and clean. Our room was nice and roomy. It was a modern decor. There was a microwave and refrigerator. It had a sofa and coffee table and a desk. Plenty of room for my husband and I to work on our own things without being in each others way. The only complaint was the pillows were lumpy with no support. I would stay again though.
Excellent hotel. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The front desk man who checked me in was very friendly and helpful. The same with the woman who checked me out. My room was on the front of the hotel, but I did not have a problem with road noise.
Traveling from Florida to Colorado and needed a good bed for the night. Travel with 2 little Yorkies. Charged $15 pet fee. Clean room and good shower. Good grassy area at end of parking lot to walk dogs. Check in host was friendly. Easy access to hotel.
This hotel is experiencing a remodel. The lobby was all torn up and breakfast was in another room. Hopefully it will be better after it is finished. The breakfast was not very good with no hot items except cold gravey. The room was very nice-the bed was excellent as are all BW beds. The room was very clean.
We decided to stay here after seeing the ratings and reviews on Tripadvisor. Plus it was a little cheaper than most. But, it was not a good experience. The lobby and breakfast room are being renovated and are completely gutted. They moved the breakfast to a regular size room. They crammed 3 tables in there and just enough items to say they provide breakfast. It was not a full breakfast and absolutely no room. The hotel is the older style with the entrance to the room from the parking lot. Not a big issue except we had construction workers and smokers hanging out just outside our door at night and in the morning. So every time you opened the door, you would get covered in smoke and some would come into the room. The room itself was the standard size room. It was old but everything had a fresh coat of paint on it and the carpet seemed fairly new. The door looked old and heavily dented. You could see daylight all around it when it was closed. It's back up security latch was just a small chain. So, overall our experience was not good. The money we saved by staying here was not worth it. We ended up going to McDonalds for breakfast and spent the money we saved. I understand how inconvenient renovations can be. But, it felt like they just threw a few items in a small room so they could still claim they provided breakfast. Plus, if you are going to have major renovations, why would you choose your peek time of the year to do so? I recommend staying across the street at Comfort Inn and Suites. We stayed there before. It is much nicer, with a more secure lobby entrance to your room, and has a full breakfast.
This hotel was pretty well priced. The room was very nice and clean. They did not have any rollaway beds however, which makes things a little hard for our family of five. Our daughter had to sleep in a chair. ?? Our stay would have been rated a bit higher, BUT...we were awoken before daylight by a policeman pounding on our neighbor's door. (They are outside doors.) He was doing a welfare check for a man that hadn't shown up to work. Unfortunately they found him in his room dead. I know this is an EXTREMELY rare case, and I do not hold it against the hotel. Just being honest in our review. It was a very rude awakening. ?? Let's just say we got an early start that morning. Other than that, the stay was fine. :)
I have stayed here every 15 days , and Iike it. The rooms are comfortable, clean. The breakfast is good. Free wifi, HBO, pool. And it is located close to the I20, there are some fast food places to eat if you stay there. The staff is very friendly, fair prices. I really recommend this hotel.
The people who run this are very nice and appreciate their guests. The rooms have all been updated and its always clean. Have stayed several times and never had any issues. There are restaurants nearby and the location is easy to find.
Not bad as a stop over for a good night's sleep. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, and quiet. Don't expect much from the "free breakfast", but there are restaurants in the area for that. Despite some ongoing remodeling, the staff is friendly and manages to be upbeat and positive.
It was very easy to find. Our room was not quite ready, as they were doing some carpentry work in it, so for free we were upgraded to a room with a jacuzzi. The gentleman checking us in was very friendly. The room was clean.
Not good- we ended up with a room facing the highway and car noise was bad. Along with this our AC unit had a major issue making it sound like an airplane running out of fuel and the only way to get another room was to pay an "upgrade" fee to get a King room.
We arrived late in the evening and still we felt very welcome by the night staff. The room was clean, smelled nice and had a good bed and matrass. The bathroom was okay, had very good waterpressure. Only minor negative were the towels, there were only two big towels in the room and no smaller ones.
I wasn't too sure about staying because it looked like a motel. Once I walked in the room I felt a relief because the room looked very clean. When I was checking out the gentleman at the front desk noticed an issue with my car and offered to help. Once I started getting into my car the lady that was cleaning my room ran to hand me my charger I had left plugged in the room. I was so thankful. There positive attitude rubbed off on me.
After driving 23 hours from Toronto Canada, we happen to stop at a Best Western for our first nights rest as we headed to Galveston TX to see the Gulf. The young lady working the front desk was so nice! We took the jacuzzi room as your bodies need fix'n....lol We received a discount for being HOG Harley members, bonus! The room was clean, bed was very comfy, AC worked fab! Happy it was a pet friendly place as we were traveling with our Morkie Maggie Mae. Woke in the AM to motorcycles parked outside our door... It was a beautiful alarm clock. Brrrrap. Thank you Best Western Marshall for being so awesome!!!? I highly recommend this place for my fellow motorcycle travelers too. Cheers
I would have passed it by based on appearance, but we stopped and got a good price. It was a small room but actually quite comfortable...noisy air conditioner but it provided great "white noise" for the traffic.....my room was a handicapped room but the bathroom did not qualify as handicap accessible, in my opinion. An excellent breakfast, friendly service, and overall a good buy!
Room was great for the price. Bed could have been more comfortable, but again it was great for the price! Breakfast was decent- waffles, biscuits and gravy, frozen sausage biscuits, etc. No complaints here!
We spent a miserable night at the Best Western Executive Inn in Marshall, Texas, recently. There has been a lot of rain, but it still does not explain why the bathroom door would not shut without a battle! Obviously, when the carpet was replaced the carpenter did not check the door to see if it would close. It wouldn't. And this was a Handicapped Room!! Needless to say, we left the door open all night and trusted no one would get a surprise visit. The other horrible problem was the air conditioner that rattled, wheezed, coughed, and rattled some more----again, all night long. The linens were musty, but this could be explained by the rainy days and nights the area has endured recently. Don't even think about breakfast----it consists of prepackaged muffins, a couple of over ripe bananas, and the usual cereal, waffle and juice. No yogurt, bagel, bacon/ sausage or eggs here.
We were traveling with a small group for leisure & sight seeing. Servie was good and staff friendly. Rooms clean & attractive for price point. Bedding was not good. Need new mattresses, sheets & pillows. Breakfast limited but presented okay.
The facility is nice, clean and quite considering it is near highways. Breakfast could be upgraded quite a bit and I wish there was a better selection of restaurants within walking distance. I will return.
The hotel is an older Best Western and the interior is showing signs of wear; however, the place was very clean, comfortable and very reasonably priced. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. All in all it was a very enjoyable stay.
We stayed for one night on our way across the country. Friendly, helpful front desk staff; our room was around the back of the hotel and very quiet. Hotel is not new, but our room tastefully updated and well appointed. We had everything we needed really. Comfortable beds and really easy access from the freeway. We will definitely stay here again.
We were very happy that our dog was able to join us. The rooms were surprisingly clean and updated considering the value of the price. Breakfast was on the small side, as I am not a "packaged-food" eater; however, the choices were much better than just a continental breakfast. Will DEF consider staying here again!
Great experience on a somewhat rough trip through Texas after driving for 15 hours from Florida to Oklahoma. Very friendly and kind people here! Clean and comfortable rooms. Would definitely come back to this hotel if I ever came through Texas again.
This is an older motel and shows it's age, but is comfortable and a good value for the money. The staff is friendly and helpful, the location is convenient to the expressway and fast food, and the beds are comfortable. Not as upscale or completely clean as higher-priced motels, this is a good, solid place to spend a restful night on a long trip.
We pulled in for the night on a long trip. Bed was good! Towels a touch rough. The road noise was loud! We have a 'wind machine' on our phone, so we managed, but lots of trucks, lots of traffic. Would ask for the back side if we stayed here again. Very clean and very pleasant front desk.
My first impression was it looks like a motel, and has a very tiny parking lot. When I met with the employee from the desk to check in his attitude was very amiable, courteous and willing to help if needed. When I finally got to my room it was okay from first look. I pay high attention to detail so I was dealing with a stained comforter and mold on the sealant around the tub. The shower water does run hot enough to burn your skin off. Which I actually like, but just a heads up for folks with young kids. The upside to things is when I read the reviews, before I came here, I was expecting loud noise from the streets or from a close by convention. All I heard was the soft sound of street cars passing, I'm from big cities so noise is not a big deal. The AC blasted cold in the daytime and hot in the colder nights. The TV was a flat screen and they had a good channel list. The wifi worked as fast as I needed it to. Also the front desk guy knew the area well enough to introduce the jalapeño tree restaurant to me. I stayed two nights there, so when I came back to my room I had fresh towels, my bed was made and all my junk was still accounted for. So besides from the gross minor details it was a comfortable stay, with great hospitality.
I've stayed @ this Best Western before, so this was a return visit. I had booked the room and had 2 friends with me. We wanted to use the gift card my friend had- no problem. Adam was able to make it work for us. Never had a problem before. This time we had a problem with the TV remote. Called the front desk, it was taken care of within 10 min. Early am the fire alarms went off...very irritating. Called the front desk. Young girl (sorry didn't get her name) handled things very well. Called her manager, called the fire dept, and had everyone come to the office. She had coffee and drinks ready for us when we got there. Kept apologizing even though it certainly was not her fault! Have to say I was very impressed. Staff seemed young (I'm older!) but very competent. Thank you for employing such great staff. I'll definitely use this Best Western when I'm back in the area.
We travel with our golden retriever and were on the road for 22 nights. We chose Best Western because all but one was pet friendly. All hotels were good locations, people made us feel at home, good atmosphere for our dog, and it is nice to have a hot breakfast before traveling.
The property was well staffed at check in. However, I did notice the breakfast was not complete with what I normally have from other B/W locations. Weak,in the variety of breads, bagels, and rolls. No eggs of any source were even offered. No potatoes of any sources were on the menu.
I stayed in a king room the side chair and ottoman were very comfortable the TV is very large and high definition lots of channels microwave and refrigerator granite in the bathroom vanity as well as granite on the walls above the bathtub I highly recommend this location however I did deduct the store because their breakfast is not the best in the pool could be much better however I do recommend dislocation
Always a pleasure to stay at this hotel. Rooms and management are excellent. Convenient location just off the interstate with plenty of options to eat and shop. Rooms are always clean and well maintained as are the grounds, with ample parking close to rooms. Wouldn't stay anywhere else.
This was adequate for our short Christmas season get-a-way and met our needs very well. Breakfast is somewhat limited, but we were satisfied. We did our sightseeing in Jefferson, Texas and this was the closest Best Western.
Haven't stayed at a Best Western in quite some time, but was very please with my last two stays. Can't say enough for the helpful and friendly staffs, something that is often lacking at many hotels/motels. Would recommend staying at this location.
Wonderful rooms, convenient, and the staff was very helpful and they were all white Americans. The TV, internet and all worked just fine. We stay here every year traveling to South Texas for Christmas.
Got a room on the backside of the building to avoid any threat of noise from the roadway out front. The room was nice and clean, beds very comfortable, and the staff was very helpful with directions to places to eat and even directions to see the downtown Christmas decorations. A great stay -- we pass this way again, we will definitely stay here.
My fiance and I arrived at the Best Western and found out there was a mixup with the reservation made on Hotels.com. The staff were very friendly and worked diligently to resolve the problem. We stayed four nights and would recommend getting the room with the soaking tub in the living room. It was a great way to relax after a long day. Finally, the Texas shaped waffles sure are tasty!
Very friendly staff; clean, comfortable room. Helped me with some business correspondence on the lobby guest computer and printer. They made it very easy. Great location with easy access to restaurants and gas stations.
This hotel is a lovely facility with caring, helpful staff, comfortable rooms, and a decent breakfast buffet. Its location is convenient to the city of Marshall and several tourist attractions. The room itself was great - multiple channels on DirecTV, very comfy bed, and lots of room to move around the room. The reason I titled this Don't stay on a weekend is because the hotel is close to a convention center, and there was loud music coming from there on both Friday and Saturday nights. All I could hear was the bass but it was loud enough to hear inside the room over the normal TV volume. I spoke with the front desk several times, and they said that it happened a lot but they couldn't do anything about it. They did call the facility, once on Friday and twice on Saturday night, but the response was that the center staff could do nothing about it, that they rented it out and had no control over the renters. This went on until 10 pm Friday night and 12:30 am on Saturday/Sunday morning. If you do stay on a weekend, try to stay on the front side because the booming didn't seem to be as bad as on the back side of the building.
My wife and I recently retired and we drive from Colorado to Florida twice a year. It takes us 4 days so we need a motel for 3 nights. On this trip we stopped at a La Quinta (73+tax), a Best Western (83+tax), and a Hampton Inn (121+tax). None of them were worth these outrageous amounts, but we're old and need a decent nights sleep. In short, the La Quinta and the Best Western were both noisy with embarrassing breakfasts. The rooms were clean and the beds were OK. The breakfast at the Hampton although again grossly overpriced, was decent with eggs and sausage in addition to the normal cold carbohydrates and bad coffee. The biggest difference was the room which was quiet and the bed which was very nice. Our return trip to Florida in coming up in January and I'm thinking of going cheaper on the room and adding a fast food breakfast.
Called ahead on a Thur night for a reservation ... Glad I did as it was the last room and there were people looking for a room when I arrived. Very friendly staff, decent room, comfortable bed... Breakfast was a little limited in both items to eat and seating capacity but it is a small hotel. Certainly a decent option for a stay while traveling through the area.
We arrived late..9:30 pm and we treated very well. We were tired and the room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good. The staff were very pleasant and helpful!! I know...lots of very(s)..but it is a nice place! They had good coffee. You could make your own waffles but they had yogurt, muffins, Jimmy Dean sausage biscuits, & juices etc. The bed was comfortable.
This area and hotel room was very peaceful and quiet. My stay here was very pleasant and ambiance was amazing! Marshall is a very small and unique town, and staying at this hotel was a better experience than I could have imagined in a town like this. The Manager, Pete Patel, was very helpful during my stay here. I will give anyone recommendation to stay here, especially with the services I received during my stay here. Would definitely stay here again the next time I come here!
We were on our way home from a business conference in Houston and stayed at this hotel - they are pet-friendly. Very helpful with general city info. One-night stay, good clean hotel - everything we needed.
I stayed here twice during a seven-day trip, and it will be our new stopover on our cross-country drives. It's a 10-hour drive from our home east of Atlanta. We've usually stayed in Shreveport before, but we'll go a little further and stay here. I have the sense that this an older motel that was remodeled by someone who really knew what he or she was doing. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. The furniture is considerably better in quality than the average mid-range place. The rooms are very clean and well maintained, and everything works - all the lamps, all the plumbing fixtures, all the furnishings and amenities. This is rare - I usually find something wrong. After lukewarm low-flow showers for the past four days, it's good to have a hot shower with enough water. The bathrooms are particularly nice and roomy. I hate the ones where the toilet is jammed up against the wall, the shower or both. Here the shower walls are lined with a granite-look countertop material that has also been used for the sink countertop. This looks nice and easy to keep clean, so no cracked tile or peeling paint. It's a good idea and other hotels should consider it. The service here is excellent. Adam at the front counter is pleasant, efficient and helpful. Marshall seems a clean and prosperous town, not like the Permian Basin towns which manage to be both prosperous and shabby. There are several good restaurants, a movie theater, and a good-sized mall.
We have stayed here several times and never had a problem. Clean rooms at a good value. Staff is friendly and helpful. Location is central and easy to access. Breakfast is basic continental items but there are restaurants nearby so it's not a problem.
Best Western Executive Inn situated in Marshal Texas afforded the opportunity for me and family to feel welcomed and at home. The staff was very professional and courteous. The facilities were well kept. The rooms were clean, neat and orderly. The staff exemplary East Texas hospitality guarantees we will recommend booking a stay at this Best Western Executive Inn, Marshal Texas to all our family and friends!
Every time we come to Marshall Texas we stay at the Best Western. We are treated nice and the staff does every thing to make out stay a pleasant one. Any time we need anything the staff does everything to help. I would recommend staying at the Best Western
On our trip west, we stopped in Marshall for one night and were very pleased with this hotel. The room was clean and well equipped and was very comfortable. We would highly restating here! The staff was friendly and helpful. We were not in time for breakfast but they still allowed us to eat, getting things out again. Plus the price was better than most for the area.
We had stayed here once before and the road noise and guests were noisy and somewhat disruptive. Our stay this time was very pleasant and the road noise was at a minimum. The room was nice and clean, bed was comfortable and everything worked as it was supposed to (the toilet was a bit noisy but oh well). Loved the ceiling fan....nice added touch. Overall, I would definitely reccomend this facility to anyone staying in Marshall, Tx or just travelling thru. Very nice and a good value. Close to a lot of eateries and not far at all from shopping centers (apprx 3-6 miles). Right off 2 major hwys...I-20 and Hwy 59 so it's convenient no matter which direction you are travelling.
This was just a quick overnight stay. This place is nothing fancy but has everything you need. The bed was comfortable and there are many convenient power outlets. The shower head is tall enough for my large husband. Nice touch is a ceiling fan. Breakfast is nothing fancy but does have waffles, biscuits and gravy, sausage biscuits and egg & sausage burittos along with the usual yougurt, breads cereal and fruit. Only negative was a noisy a/c unit and a bit of damp smell covered with airfreshener. Price was reasonable and a number of decent restaurants to eat at nearby. Would stay here again. Staff were very friendly.
Stayed for five nights. The staff were friendly and ready to help with any needs. The bed was very comfortable. There was road noise but all the hotels in the area are right off the highway. Went to the pool a couple of times. It was clean and not over chlorinated.
It was a quick overnight stay. I have to say (due to no fault of the motel) it was quite noisy. Alot of road noise and it sounded as if someone was talking loud just outside of our room until nearly 3 in the morning. It was a smaller more compact facility. Overall though, even though it's an older facility, the room was nice and clean, decor fine and everything worked well. It's great for a quick stop.
