Hotel is in need of a total remodel. Everything was worn out and in need of repair. Dust and dirt everywhere. Ice from the hallway machine had brown slim on it. The door lock was hard to open and had to push with shoulder to open the door. The light cover in the bathroom ceiling was missing.
Clean, and well kept, certainly not 5 star but more than adequate for price point. Great pool and sauna, great for relaxing after a long day. Good breakfast, not great, but enough. Helpful employees. Beautiful setting outside including gas fireplace and fall decor.
Very nice comfortable hotel. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The rooms were very comfortable and i slept like a baby. There is a heated indoor pool and sauna. They serve breakfast from 6a-10a. The location is great, just off of I-79 and near Grove City Premium Outlets and plenty of restaurants. I recommend this hotel.
Breakfast is terrible, the coffee came out of a machine. Tasted like instant coffee. room needed a lot of repairs, the exhaust fan was missing the fan motor, shower head leaked all over the place, door didn't latch. Pool was cold, even the kids didn't want to swim. Don't make the same mistake I did find a better hotel.
wish I could give no rating. Stay away. We booked accidentally due to the name Grove City. We wanted the one in Ohio. We were passing through and needed a room for the night. explained this, but told we would not be refunded. If I had known it was such a $hithole I would have eaten the loss and gone elsewhere.
The hotel was very comfortable. The breakfast had many options and the staff were friendly and professional. I would stay at this property again. The pool was clean. The location is right across the street from the prime outlet. Great access to the highway
Stayed here to shop at the Premium Outlet mall. The carpets and walls and even the bed are old, as you can feel it when you lie down... Even their TVs are old models, same applies to the fridge and microwave. You can stay the night when you are in the area to shop, there's a pool for the kids too... You can just walk and cross the street to the outlet mall and shop till you drop. Restaurants all around, or go to the food court in the mall, your choice. Breakfast included in the stay, decent items served as per usual for most hotels - coffee, eggs, sausages, juice, fruit and cereal.
Said I left a mess had pictures an videos never sent any to me when they said they could told me manger would be in at ten then said he won't be in till one when I spoke to someone they put me on hold to get the manger then ended the call very poor customer service all staff seem very unkind and disrespectful!
Cleanest hotel I've stayed in in a long time. You have to remember the hotel itself is approximately 30 years old so there are going to be little things here and there. The room was spotless on my arrival with all the basics, towels TP soap and shampoo. The air conditioner was on and room was comfortable. Tv had a good number of channels and the microwave and mini fridge did their job. The pool was large and relaxing , yes there are some ruff spots in its finish but is clean and comfortable. If you want to use the sauna make sure to turn it on to warm up (about 15-20 minutes) and enjoy a nice swim. Breakfast was the best I've had at a budget hotel in a long time bagels toast scrambled eggs waffles juice coffee and fruit. You can even make a Pb&j sandwich if you like. Plenty of hot water for showers and comfortable beds and pillows. My favorite part of the room was the chair and ottoman, was very comfortable. The staff and owners truly go out of their way to ensure you're comfortable.
clean, spacious room. Older hotel but very well maintained. My dog and I had a relaxing last night on the trip from Seattle to PA.
For checking In not even 1 hour early we were charge $25. No choice because needed to be at event we came for within the hour. Wanted to relax at the pool but very cold water and pool obviously not well maintained, dirty, unsafe (handle bar need to be fixed).
The value of this hotel is what brought to it. I will definitely stay there if I am in the area again.
Staff at customer desk was not friendly and not willing to solve the problem. Place not up the make of other Best western i stayed
This place is disgustingly dirty . The grounds unkept and overgrown the lobby and sitting area dirty ! It was gross honestly , the ceiling damaged with water , it smelled and that was common area !!! I refused to stay ,requested manager , front desk girl suddenly struggled to understand English . Called numerous times no one answers phone . They me run around in regards to what needed to be done to cancel . They also charged me the next day for additional miscellaneous charges of 82.00 I never stayed !!!!! It has been a major headache for me , these people are shady and the hotel is filthy . Don't do it , not worth staying in a dirty flea bag hotel
Bathroom was disgusting and poorly stocked. Beds were soft and caved toward the middle. People in the halls all night and no response from front desk. Will pay for a better hotel and never go here again.
I was looking for a pet friendly motel on my road trip. This was a wonderful find. I was warmly welcomed and all staff seemed delighted to have guests. There's a gorgeous, heated indoor pool. It's probably the best I've seen. Breakfast was very good as well.
Hotels entrance was invaded by at least 100 large carpenter bees, Staircase to second floor had not been cleaned in months, carpeted stairs not vacuumed, and handrails covered with grime. Pool floor area and select walls had black mold. Shower area did not include sink and was extremely small for even a 12 year old to feel comfortable. Evening staff attempted entry into an occupied room and denied. Upon confronting, they mentioned they were trying to verify the room was filled with the appropriate guests.
They have bed bugs please don't stay here. I have gotten ZERO responses from the manager and I followed the staff's instructions to contact the manager.
The staff was extremely friendly. They went out of their way o make sure everything was perfect and did everything they could to make you feel at home. The pool was a nice setting and breakfast was delicious! And well maintained property
To be honest I was a little leery to book this room. Google was showing a rating of 3.8 out of 5. People had some unkind things to say, but I think they had walked in the door with a chip on their shoulder. The room was super clean and I slept like a baby. Had a breakfast that included Best Western branded waffles. The staff could not have been better. This was a great experience.
One word to describe it all… Yikes!!! We booked our stay here directly through the website over a month in advance; four rooms total. We had been planning a little family get away for our little ones so they could swim in the winter. Check in was “supposed to be” 4PM, however it wasn't until after 6 we could get into our rooms. Immediately upon check in we were advised they were short staffed and the rooms were not cleaned and that the pool was broken. We were very upset because we were never notified of any of this is advance and that was the whole reason we drove an hour to be there. They ended up letting us in the pool even though there whole filtration system was down. All in all, Best Western Corporate needs to come out and save this place. The poor gentleman at the counter ran it ALL… I don't even think he got to go home. It's not his fault, he was very considerate and even offered me a full refund (I should have taken it). Issues: Horrible check in; Pool was disgusting - hair and someone's fake eyelashes on cement; leaking roof with mold and mildew; whole pool area smelt of mold; bullet hole in window; moldy ice bucket; my sink was clogged; window was unlocked and open when getting in my room; furnace would not turn off; family member had a yellow jacket in their room and was stung; fridge broken; shower had a constant leak. This place is only getting a 1/5 simply for the location to the outlets and the nice, overworked gentleman at the front counter. Best Western, do better! Way, way better…I will be contacting corporate for a partial refund since I couldn't even get in at the normal check in time.
Hotel was great me and my daughter was in the area for an event we both enjoyed our stay salt water pool was great they also had a sauna they also had free breakfast staff was amazing would definitely stay again.
We'd booked this location out of convenience enroute Florida. Good thing we did, weather wasn't great for travel. Pricing was very good for a BW. Breakfast was simple, coffee was hot. Place needed some touching up, but in general was tidy.
When making the reservation we were not told that there was no elevator available, and we were sent to the second floor with 6 children (2 rooms). Also, there was no Internet available and on the website it said there was. My children complained of bug bites. The AC was set to a very high temperature and no way of changing it, we woke up sweating.
Out of all, this hotel was way below the standard I see when I go to Best Western. I was disappointed frustrated and didn't even want to bother with the list of issues I came in contact with. Just going in the back door to the hotel and the key card lock be busted, without an sign it acknowledgement about it, was even a little scary for having my family with me.
The only redeeming thing about this hotel is the friendliness of the staff and proximity to the outlet mall. Outdated, threadbare linens and towels. Breakfast consisted of white bread only, no milk for the cereal, what seemed to be steamed sausages and powdered eggs. No fruit of any kind. Coffee and juice were good. Certainly not what I have come to expect from a Best Western branded hotel. It would have been overpriced at half the cost.
This hotel was filthy. Common areas, laundry area and our room. The bathroom and mirrors were so disgusting! There was hair and dirt on the bathroom floors. Mirrors had a layer of nasty stuff all over. I could write my name in the dust. Lack of towels available. Cleanliness is NOT a priority! Common areas haven't been wiped down, vac or mopped in weeks. We had to push the door close to make sure it latched. I did not mention it to anyone because it was obvious cleanliness was not a priority. Spend the extra and stay elsewhere.
This hotel is located very close to the popular Grove City outlet malls. It is near restaurants. The staff are very friendly. The hotel could use some sprucing up, but it remains a good place. We will return.
While I stay at Best Westerns, this one was really needing improvement. The staff was great and very helpful, however the Breakfast area was lacking. Food was left out overnight, repetitive items daily with not a very good choice. Limited side items such as Yogurt which was not available. Trash wasn't picked up daily leaving a dirty counter area. Breakfast area was limited and tight so getting items caused traffic jam on days where multiple people were eating. Sorry, but better properties available.
Helpful staff, quiet area, a bit outdated, pool needs a paint job. Make sure if you are not a handicapped person, that you ask for a room with a regular shower. Employees did their best to help with the stay.
The hotel was run down, breakfast was lacking, and room had no USB charging capability. Due to past positive experiences with BW I just booked the room to rest overnight during our travels. Would definitely compare prices in the future and not expect to have same quality and standards we have witnessed at other BWs.
The hotel room was terrible. Curtains were ripped, fingernail on floor, fingerprints on mirror and microwave, bedding very thin and old. Floor in breadfast area was very sticky and fruit was not fresh. Security door to outside didn't even have a lock on it. It had been removed so anyone could enter the hotel from the side. Would not stay here again. One night was enough. We moved to another hotel.
This was the worst breakfast I have ever had at a hotel. Next time would pay more to go to a better hotel. The room was also extremely hot and the air was not working. Thank goodness it was cold outside so we opened a window.
this hotel is always our number one choice to stay at when we are passing thru Pennsylvania on our way to Florida or on the way back. The staff here is amazing and they make us feel welcomed rooms are clean and they have good breakfast as well
Really convenient place to stay for outlet shopping. Hotel is older but very clean could use a little updating.. Check in was smooth and friendly. Breakfast was adequate would have liked fresh fruit and more cereal options.
Great place to stay and relax, after a long drive. I recommend this hotel. Thank you for the great work and hospitality. Breakfast was great. Swimming pool was good but did not have time to use it. Very cinvinient to the Hwy for location.
I am writing this review not directly towards the hotel..but towards best western itself. First of all, as a best western rewards member, calling to book a room was a hassle. We waited 30 minutes on hold to even speak to a representative..to which we hung up and had to book through a third party, meaning we did not get our best western rewards points. When we got to the hotel and checked in we discovered that the internet was not working, which was a pain in the ass because my family needed to fill out our arrive can application to get back into our country. When talking to the man at the front desk (who was working all alone- illegal) he said it was not working. This was quite aggravating as we paid over $200 Canadian for this place..which was totally not worth it. To top it all off..we went for dinner and came back to find out that our room keys were not working, meaning another trip to the front desk, where we waited another 10 minutes for the only employee in the building to help. I have stayed in many hotels, and many best westerns and have never stayed in a hotel like this. Lastly, the safety of this hotel is very poor, with only one employee anyone could walk-in the hotel. I hope that best western takes a look at improving this hotel and getting that poor worker some help because quite frankly, the stuff we experienced while paying a fair amount of money is just ridiculous.
Room was nothing like the pictures, issues checking in but checking out was simple enough. Room was dirty yet smelled like a million different cleaning products. No hand soap was in the bathroom to wash our hands with
If you're coming to town this is a great place to stay. The location has great parking, surrounding restaurants, and Outlet retail stores. If you need a quiet place to get away for a while you won't be disappointed in your choice to stay here. I'll be back.
The employees at this site are exceptionally friendly, eager to please. We especially want to recognize the young girl looking after the breakfast room and front lobby during our stay (June 16/17/2022), so helpful and friendly.
Yep this is my place to layover once or twice a week. I can easily park my tractor trailer and everything is at my finger tips (within walking distance to eat drink shop whatever). These folks at the hotel bend over backwards to accommodate me and others when you arrive and will help out anyway possible to please. They always try to make you feel like family and they always have a clean comfy room. I always leave at an odd time but they make sure I've got a snack and a lot of coffee for the road ahead. So if you're looking for some of these amenities check out my 2nd family and be sure to smile cause they will smile right back.
The room was absolutely disgusting and way too expensive for quality of room. It smelled very bad and had pet dander all over the room and beds. My family is highly allergic to pet dander and we all had breakouts! The pool wasn't cleaned and front desk didn't even know when it was last cleaned because "they hadn't had too much guests staying". The only positive I can say was the breakfast was delicious first day but second day everything was watered down esp coffee. Overall would not recommend this hotel to ANYONE!
We came from Canad to do sone shopping for a few days. It is so close to the mall that we you need to take a break from shopping you can. The staff were friendly and helpful. Don't forget your bathing suit
Surprised this carries the Best Western brand. I expected to receive a decent room and the usual treatment by staff. Young man who greeted us initially advised he was new to the position so took a little longer to check us in as he wasn't sure how to record my Best Western points I was using to partially pay. Not a problem. The room however was the poorest I have slept in. The exterior door had a broken security lock and the toilet rocked as it was not secured properly to the floor. Normally I would not leave a negative review but on checking out in the morning, we couldn't locate a staff person. After about 5 minutes a rumpled man who appeared to have been sleeping arrived. I pointed to the key I had left on the counter and left. Didn't want to even consider breakfast as I wouldn't trust how it was prepared on seeing the condition of the staff person.
Hotel check in staff Sarah was so pleasant & friendly as well as the cleaning staff, Tina. All very nice to chat with. GC Outlets right across the road, restaurants all close by. My room was very clean, bed comfy and plenty of pillows. Breakfast was good, a nice selection of foods to pick from, hot and cold, coffee anytime you want it. Dogs are allowed which is a big PLUS for an additional fee. Great stay. Thanks.
I searched the area to find a nice room for me and my wife to celebrate our anniversary. I decided on The Bestwestern jacuzzi room with king size bed.. staff was helpful room was perfect for my plans. Thank to all the staff ..
It was late at night when we checked in. We had hot water that night, but in the morning there was no hot water. We asked for a refund, but the manager refused and offered only $25 off the bill. When we asked to speak who else we could speak with, the manager said we could only call Best Western. We asked why we couldn't contact the operator of the hotel, the manager said it was not possible to contact the operator. We tried to continue the conversation with the manager, but he said we were making the situation harder than it needed to be. Knowing that the manager would not be willing to further accommodate us, we ended the conversation.
We stayed here on our return trip home to Canada. A great location for our last night before getting home. Friendly and cheerful members at the front desk. Clean rooms and all other locations in the hotel. Will definitely use this hotel in the future and recommend it to all.
you can not find a better hotel at this price in grove city. I always stay here whenever i go to grove city because how friendly the staff is. the hotel is little older and could use a update but they always keep it clean.
We had to stay at the hotel after attending a funeral. The staff was very accommodating, letting us utilize their early check-in so that we could get ready. The first room we had did not have a working air conditioning unit, but the staff accommodated us by moving our room and that room was great. The pool area was clean and great for unwinding. The desk attendant was very helpful with all questions upon arrival and at breakfast. Breakfast area clean and there were many options. Overall a nice stay.
The room was clean, the beds were excellent and the heat/air was super quiet. No distracting outside noise. A great place to stay and we will be back. Close to all shops, restaurants and points of interest.
Excellent spot to stay. Travelled from Canada for a shopping trip and was amazing to come back to a nice room and excellent pool. breakfast was great and early the next morning before heading out. Definitely recommend staying here
Very clean hotel and room. Comfortable beds and pillows. Good breakfast and great coffee. Room temperature was just right. Nice indoor pool. Across the street from the outlet mall. Easy to find right off the interstate
If you're extremely picky this should not be your first choice. Hotel overall is dated and could use a new coffee machine. Great location for shopping the outlets just across the street. Kids always enjoy an indoor pool.
Checked in late afternoon. Room not ready. Still dirty after cleaning. Done really fast. Bed lumpy and not very comfortable . Well breakfast I have NO GOOD WORDS. The sausage I couldn't eat and the eggs I couldn't swallow.
I've seen worse but I've definitely seen better. There appeared to only be 1 employee who was doing the best he could but couldn't keep up with the necessary cleaning & maintenance. The hotel is old and in desperate need of attention.
I visit this Best Western annually and look forward to its quiet, peaceful atmosphere.Great location with adequate rooms at reasonable rates.Friendly & helpful staff. Glad to see the return of breakfast!
It was a great hotel, good breakfast selection. kids loved the heated pool since weather was starting to get cold outside we will defiantly stay there again in the future. manager Divya was also very helpful along with rest of the staff.
They charged our charge card an extra $222.00. When we called to ask why, they told us it was for the bathroom door that was torn off it's hinges after we left. This is a total scam! We left the room in excellent condition! They will not reimburse us! It's their word against ours! Stay away from this hotel. If they did it to us, they have done it before and will most likely do it again!
have stayed here many times. Rooms always clean, front desk staff always great. This time we were struck by the rundown Breakfast room and lack of good options for breakfast. We have never had this is in the past. Covid as always a factor, but think they need to do a little cleaning and sprucing up. Would still recommend. Hoping owners wlll find time to do a little updating while they are slow.
We stayed at this location for a one night getaway. We booked directly with the location via the brand website as we are members. Great location just off of the interstate and next to the outlet mall for shopping. Upon check-in, you had to ring a bell as the front desk was not staffed by personnel. (first clue) After several minutes, the attendant checked us in swiftly and efficiently. I commented about the lack of people checking in / checked in and she said that it was a slow evening (shouldn't have been as it was the weekend and in the general area of several colleges hosting football games, second clue). Proceeded to our room and found that the facility is pet-friendly based on the two dogs barking as we proceeded past their room (uugh, third clue, and not good for a semi-romantic evening) Room had a king bed and a large two person hot tub both plusses. But the bed was extra firm and the furniture older but adequate. The towels had small stains. Dogs barked through evening but luckily didn't during sleeping hours. Breakfast was below average as the breakfast area was in disarray and not watched by personnel. Items were out of stock and no milk for cereal. Check out was graciously quick. If in the area, there are better options. The only plus was the large two person hot tub if you are looking for a room with one. It comes with some disadvantages though.
Worst experience I have ever had. Stayed one night, bath tub had hair in the drain, the hot tub took several hours to drain (you could hear it dripping-not draining), the pillows and sheets smelled like something out of a barn and the pillows felt like they were filled with twigs. Air conditioner would not go below 65 and was still hot at that. Would not recommend to anyone.
The signs said all employees would be masked, none were. The furniture was worn out and old. The carpets dirty and old. The whole place needed to be redone, new carpets, new furniture, painted. It was pretty expensive for how run down it is.
Pro: hotel staff was friendly, pool area was beautiful but pool not super clean. Close to Grove City outlet mall. Cons: Our room had not been cleaned behind the nightstand..there were dead bugs and someone's used deoderant. The sink did not drain well. The outlets for charging phones were in odd areas - not located near headboard or nightstand.
We stayed at this hotel as we were dropping our daughter off for her first year of college at Grove City. The location was perfect (right across the street from Outlet Mall / restaurants) and within a short drive from campus. Staff was friendly and breakfast had quite a few options.
First understand that I have been a BW Rewards member for over a decade. Second, let me say that I have always found the staff to be cordial and accommodating. Third, due to the nature of my travel, I have often arrived to check in before the listed check in time and always, always, been greeted by personable and helpful people. Never have I been denied check in early unless there was no room available at the time, and then I was always given an estimate of the time I could check in. In every case that I can recall, The person at the check in would check with housekeeping and either find a room that was available or I would be told when a room would be available. I arrived at the BW Grove city between 1:30 and 2:00, The person on the desk was far from cordial, actually quite rude. I asked to check in, acknowledging it was early. Her reply was, "Four O'clock". She made no effort to see if a room might be available. I asked if she could check, that I had been driving for close to 6 hours and needed to freshen up. Again she said, "Four O'clock is check in time." Each time she said it she had an edge to her voice that I can only describe as rude. I told her that any time I was early at other hotels the desk clerk would at least check with housekeeping. Her statement at that point was, "If you want to check in there is an extra $25.00 charge". I left and filled time for a few hours, returning to find a nice person on the desk. My room had seen better days, smelled old and felt old.
The first room we were assigned had used feminine products in the waste paper basket. So we were given another room which smelled like smoke. In addition the clock radio was filthy, there was hair on the floor of the bathroom and dog hair/ fur on the side of one of the beds. We didn't want to touch ANYTHING. I could go on & on about the lack of cleanliness. Bottom line, don't book this one.
Disgusting, dirty, run down- go ANYWHERE else!!! Arrived late (yes, their pet policy is convenient- and that is the only redeeming factor) and waited about 5 min for help At front desk. The first room had a dirty toilet, leaking from toilet all over bathroom floor, and a used sanitary pad in bathroom garbage can!!! Switched rooms. New room utterly dirty. Hair from someone else's previous pet on bed skirt, hair all over floor, yellow ring in tub, candy wrappers behind furniture. List goes on and on. Thank god for Tylenol PM. You've been warned. This place is NASTY!!!
First, I stay at Best Western's often and I've always found them good to exceptional. Not this one! The people were pleasant but the room was very bad and expensive. A list of issues: The room smelled very musty every time the air kicked off, the fridge didn't work (that wasn't remedied even after me bringing it to their attention), and the light by the bed didn't work. Also, breakfast was awful, even with Covid. I stayed a few miles away the next night, payed $40 less with a much better experience (and better breakfast), so that's my suggestion to you ... Stay elsewhere.
Staff was friendly, but this hotel is very average. Needs updated. Bed not comfortable. Door latch missing. Not worth the price paid. There are many other hotel choices in the area and I would not stay here again.
The room was terribly small for the price they charge you couldn't even walk past each other at the bottom of the bed. The hotel had a smell about it that wasn't pleasant. There was no hot breakfast. The pool needed vacuumed, dirt laying in the bottom. I would have expected more for the price.
Pictures online are nice, but don't fall for the ruse! The suites are outdated and the walls are so thin you hear everything from the pool! The staff pretend they care, but then adjust your bill again when you leave!! They don't care for anyone with disabilities, they said they'd honor a late checkout for me, but then made me leave in 30 minutes! I had no time to rest up for a 4hr drive!! I needed this getaway after the year I had and it ended up costing me a huge headache!!!
Each time we have stayed at this hotel we have been pleased with the cleanliness, friendliness and value. The person who checked us in was friendly and humorous. We will continue to use them for our family needs
This hotel was just OK. The main downfall is that the bathroom sink was not actually located in the bathroom, but was a part of the main room. The actual bathroom was so small you could barely turn around in it. The lighting over the bathroom sink was very dim, so you could not see while brushing your teeth or combing your hair. The bad part is that of the four hotels we stayed at on this trip, this one was the most expensive, but had the worst room layout. Then they added another $2 on to the tab that wasn't on the original invoice we received when we booked the room. Wasn't worth arguing about. The staff was great however, so extra points for that. The room was clean and comfortable. If the bathroom set up had been better I would have given it a much better review.
Our stay on the first floor was just ok. The room was clean except for the empty soda bottle under the chari in the corner. The maid must have missed it when cleaning. The bed was comfortable and the shower head was great! The breakfast was not so great as they were missing some breakfast items. No orange juice. No hot chocolate and once the muffins were gone (and there were only a few) then they were gone as well. The management needs to make sure there is enough food, especially on the weekend when there are more guests, to make sure the food doesn't run out!
hotel was okay . lots of broken items in room and non working lights due to burnt out bulbs . could not use pool due to freezing temp in pool and no lighting . also broken pool light with wires hanging out pool was a potential fire hazard for me .
everything was amazing!!! awesome service the ladies working there were the sweetest ever!!! the jacuzzi room i had was awesome and clean but the bed was hard as a rock i couldn't really sleep! i heard that's normal with hotels though!
My brother had an accident. He is in Allegheny Hospital so thats why we are staying. The ppl at Best Western Plus are caring, supportive and just all around great ppl. That all make a great place to stay.
It appeared management decided to leave for the weekend without making sure everything was in order. They left an inexperienced person manning the front desk over the holiday weekend. I wasn't able to get fully checked in right away as a result and had to follow-up, but in the end everything was worked out. Saturday at 6:30 AM, we went to the lobby to get coffee, and they were out. How can you be out of coffee at the start of the morning? Breakfast was also non-existent consisting of packaged muffins, danishes, yogurt, and fruit cups. COVID was the excuse, but I've seen other hotels provide an adequate breakfast while working around COVID. We had to go across the street to get something to eat. Despite this, the staff were friendly. If it weren't for free money I had from a prior promotion from previous stays, I would have chosen one of the other area hotels. It isn't a bad place, but there were several other hotels in the vicinity at around the same price that were much better, some that offered a full suite. Apparently, everyone else knew this since there were only five cars in the parking lot overnight, one of which was ours and another the employee on duty. First, a basic room was two queen beds for $99. To get the king, it was $108. Fortunately, the king was available at the government rate for $96, which I utilized. The rate really needs to come down about $25 to $30. Secondly, the room I got wasn't anything like it was pictured on the website. I thought I was getting a large room with several chairs and table with a vaulted wooden ceiling. My room, while apparently recently remodeled and in excellent condition, was a rather spartan room with a small desk, chair, and a small stool. As I said, it isn't a bad place, but it isn't worth what they're charging. Looks like an old motel from the outside but still in good condition. Our room had been remodeled as well as the hallways. They had what appeared to be a very nice pool area with wooden vaulted ceilings, closed for COVID, looked a little dated, but still very nice. As far as the rest of the room, the mattress was hard. It had a rather large refrigerator and microwave. The TV selection was excellent although the active channels were scattered all over the place requiring you to pass through huge blocks of channels they didn't subscribe too. The bathroom was extremely small with the vanity located outside of it, enabling one person to shower or use the toilet in private while another can use the sink. There was a very small closet nook with a safe. Aside from an open and apparently missing bathroom exhaust fan, the room was in excellent shape.
Overnighter to shop for Christmas! The room was nice and pretty clean. A few of the power outlets didn't work but there was more than enough to charge our stuff. Wi-fi was good and the room was quieter than most we've stayed at. The heat lamp in the shower had a regular bulb in it and 2 bulbs out of three in the seating area did not work. The room had two chairs and a table to sit and watch tv but there was no light to read, although there was a desk and chair for that. The room could use a deep clean and wipe down. Breakfast was about usual for these times. All employees were great especially the nice young lady at check in. I would highly recommend staying here while in the area.
My 15th stay at this motel was a good as any before. Actually had a real breakfast not a brown bag danish. Great people, good room, comfortable. I always try to stay at this venue when visiting Grove City.
We needed a hotel close to highway that was pet friendly and this fit the bill. I would stay again even without the dog :) Very clean and comfortable. By coincidence, we ended up staying at 3 different Best Westerns over the 3 day weekend and we were very pleased with each.
I stayed 2 nights. The hotel is clean. I reported an issue to the front desk on the first morning. I said 'you wouldn't know there was an issue if I didn't say something." I was told it would be corrected. It wasn't. Hence, I'm not sure if I would stay here again.
It wasn't "terrible" but "just not clean". I had to ask for change of sheets and bedding. There were dirt marks (not stains) on top sheet and hair in bed. Towels were dingy. Overall place needs a makeover
we really loved our room it was clean and comfortable, Its in a safe place and right off 79. there is no elavator. the evening staff was hard to find, but when you did they were very friendly and accomadating
My daughter and I stayed overnight here. The receptionist had a small dog with him which ran out of the office to greet me. When my daughter and I got to our room, one of the beds was piled high with the linens... what's with that? When I walked out of that room, there was dog feces on the floor in the hallway. We were given a different room and the dog feces was cleaned up but not all of it. I definitely would NOT stay here again.
Room was in a perfect location to shopping outlet could seriously walk across the street in be there. Room was surprisingly nicer than I thought it would. Loved the king juccuzi room setup with balcony overlooking the pool area. Only concern was the room didn't seem very clean. Food under chair cushion and behind the night stand. Microwave and fridge were also dirty. Injured myself trying to clean out the tub myself because I didn't trust it due to other items not being cleaned appropriately.
Very clean and comfortable, I came across this motel while running out of hours to drive because of faulty equipment to use to unload my truck. This hotel out of 2 that I called bent over backwards to accommodate my situation, by providing parking for me at the site. The room was so comfortable and extra clean during these trying times. A great value for the price paid.
Stayed for two nights, came for the shopping at the outlet mall. Had stayed here before, and will stay again. Only slight disappointment was that the hot tub had been removed. Room was very clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was great as well. Thank you!
Our day had us stopping in the Grove City, Pa area (miles and hours) and I looked up pet friendly hotels in the area Best Western was the only hotel that came up Was glad it did Staff friendly Room clean and comfortable Breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts we had had on our trip and close to restaurants
I had a great stay here, I will always stay here in the future when come back to grove city. Staff was really helpful and the manager was great as well. my kids loved the salt water pool they have. overall it was great.
The staff was pleasant, polite, and helpful. The room was clean, comfortable, and well stocked with amenities. Nice indoor pool area, water was not over-chlorinated. Breakfast was delicious with many choices available. All in all, a very good choice.
This is a very comfortable BW with a wonderful little black dog as a mascot who my little man just adored. Good breakfast and indoor pool. Nice place to stay with lots of vending choices, ice machine, good cable TV and comfortable beds
This place needs shut down! Our room was dirty and smelled horrible. The bathroom door didn't shut. The tv was so quiet. The ac didn't work it was so hot in there. The outside doors to the hotels are unlocked so anyone could come into the hotel. That is dangerous to me! The pool was freezing and there were no lights in the pool area. The desk clerk was so rude about it.
This hotel is conveniently located near highway and opposite to the shopping outlet. Checking late at night, the male staff was courteous, efficient and helpful. Breakfast is also nice with nutritious food items including fresh fruits, dairy items and waffles, not to mention the hot beverages. Good for a short stay. Parking is convenient with easy access to most rooms. Relax at the pool is also a great idea after a long drive. Room is clean with a small fridge and other regular amenities.
This location has a very friendly staff and lovely close location for your shopping needs at the outlets. Stay and enjoy your adventure. You will find this location close to restaurants within walking distance.
the mall was so packed when we were there i'm defiantly going back next month to do more shopping for Christmas, everyone at the hotel was fantastic, a specially the young man at the desk i just dont remember his name right now
We came here to little Shopping for Black Friday, Staff was very helpful and location is very close to Grove city Outlet mall witch is why we picked this location, Breakfast was very good with good food selection. We will Defiantly come back to this hotel
Just a quick stay to shop at the outlet mall on the way to Florida. We always choose this hotel as it is always clean and safe. I cannot hit enter yet as i just found out that this revue must be 200 words which i dont agree with as our stay was just a stopover enroute to Florida for the winter so i am just typing a bunch of mindless nonsense as its either that or not submit a revue, so i hope i have typed enough..
very clean rooms bathrooms small and tight. not many people staying the night we stayed breakfast not very good. eggs and sausage not very good.small variety.maybe thats why breakfast was the way it was
I have stayed at this hotel on numerous prior occasions, all for work. That being said, I'm sad to post this review as I have never had a problem until my recent 11/20/19 stay. No problem with check in. Room was clean & comfortable. About 10:30 pm I began hearing noises at the door. Went to the peephole & saw 2 men, with a hotel issued key trying to open the door. I told them that Room 104 was occupied & they went to the front desk to get another room/key. Manager (who was working front desk) called to explain that a mix up had occurred & situation was resolved. I was very upset as I am a woman, 5 hours from home and traveling alone. BTW, I had another similar experience at another Best Western location. I explained my situation to the manager and he seemed sympathetic, but sympathy only covers some of my frustration & concerns. He did give me an additional 5,000 points on my accounts. He also explained that new safety measures were put into place to avoid this type of situation in the future. I won't be staying at this Best Western property on my next trip and urge other female travelers to choose another hotel as there are plenty to choose from in the area.
Excellent value and perfect location for a weekend shopping trip at the outlet. Staff are very friendly and hotel is very clean. I have stayed here many times for Black Friday over the past 6 years. Close to other shopping and an hour away from Pittsburgh
Rooms were clean, grounds were nice, amenities were great. Good location, close to restaurants and stores. It was quiet and overall I would recommend and stay here again if I were in the area. OK, I don't have 200 letters to say more.
This used to be our go-to hotel in Grove City, but not anymore. Call it a symptom of aging and heightened comfort expectations, but there are just too many issues to ignore. First on the list is the state of the mattresses that need to be replaced to provide a good night's rest - other competitors have done this. Second, the key cards kept losing their code to access our room meaning too many trips to the front desk to correct this. Three, no ice in the one ice-machine that was out-of-order - again, more trips to the front desk. Four, the low-level small toilets and cramped bathroom might work for little folks, but not for senior citizens with some mobility challenges. The location, breakfast and in-room amenities are great, but the concerns mentioned will persuade us to choose one of the newer near-by properties next time.
The Best Western in Grove City is clean and comfortable. Unfortunately, it's getting a little old. The staff was friendly. The breakfast food was standard, but the building is showing its age. The carpets are a little worn, the decor is aging and the furniture is kind of creaky. The mini fridge in our room had an annoying rattle. It's not a bad place to stay, but it needs some fixing up.
This is by far the best staff I have every dealt with at a hotel. Extremely helpful and friendly and they will go out of their way to make you feel like family. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. We will always stay at this hotel when we are in the area.
It could have been better!! The handicap room was not the best! It could be updated much better for the comfort of the next person that would stay there. Update the bed (felt like lying on straw). Fix the TV, to that there is a full picture
I always try to make it to Grove City when I'm returning from the south, so that I can stay in this motel. This time, they made the effort even more worthwhile. When we got home, about 5 hours after checking out of the Grove City Best Western, my wife found that she had left a small box of jewelry in the room. A quick phone call resulted in a search by hotel staff and ten minutes later, they had found the item and promised to send it to us. That did, in fact, happen. A number of those jewelry items were quite dear to my wife. Our heartfelt thanks!
Our recent stay here was not an enjoyable one. The beds were not at all comfortable & we found it hard to get to sleep. We stayed here years ago but this time we found the conditions were not up to par. There were long strands of hair on the floor of the bathroom & the bathtub tap leaked steadily & we couldn't shut it off. Someone left a used towel on a hanger. It also left a huge rust stain in the tub. The tub drain was partially blocked & didn't drain properly so that when you took a shower the tub was filling with water. The Best Western @ Erie Pa is miles ahead of this place.
First, the room had a smell to it when we walked in. Gald we brought our own disinfentant to fix that. Room was on the smaller end. Overprice for what you got but it was Grove City College's homecoming so we are sure they jacked up the rates. Across the street from the outlet mall which was nice. Easy access to outlet mall and gas stations. Room need more outlet for your electronic devices. Breakfast was average fare; it did the trick. Room was clean other than smell. Spent only one night and was not part of the College homecoming.
Comparing this Best Western with others that I have stayed at this Grove City one is overpriced and not as well kept as the others I have used. I do believe that it has an higher price because of the location, beside a large Outlet Mall ( Grove City Mall ),, but that should interfer with poor service or quality of upkeep or state of rooms
Rooms appeared clean, until went to plug phone in behind nightstand and found food wrapper (not a huge deal). Other than that, room size (king jacuzzi suite) was great, price was affordable, the proximity to Keystone Safari...Wendell August Forge...and Grove City Outlets was perfect and the indoor heated pool looked inviting.
Both very good however the breakfast was much better in Zanesville. Staff at both locations was excellent and very helpful in finding local shopping and amenities. Both pools were very clean and enjoyable.
It was a quick visit and they were nice to let us check in early. But the refrigerator rattled all night and there is no elevator. The mattress was harder than I expected. Breakfast was good but a very small eating area Did not try the pool
Room was fine, staff nice, breakfast was more than adequate. We travel with a dog and the hotel policy is not to allow the dog to be left alone in the room. What do you do if you come to the area for either attending an event or simply hoping to go out for dinner? I have no answer.
The hotel and area are perfect for a relaxing weekend getaway. The desk staff was very friendly and helpful with everything, we were traveling on the motorcycle and they are very accommodating and helpful when we were trying to plan out where to ride to during our trip.
I went to a fund-raiser dinner a half an hour away. I had a meeting in Grove City the next morning. So, instead of driving back to Pittsburgh, I stayed the night at Best Western Grove City. It was a cozy little hotel. It didn't have too many breakfast options in my opinion, but it did the job in the morning; as in, I didn't have to go to McDonald's nearby. I was able to get up, have breakfast, then go to my meeting.
We were Very Happy over all with this hotel. Very clean and very polite employees breakfast was good and pool was clean and warm. We will be staying again for sure when we are in the area. Thank you very much!
The room was clean and spacious. There was room and seating to hang out in the room if needed and nothing felt cramped. The staff was friendly and ready to meet any request one might have. Overall a great experience
Clean place has a pool and sauna so bring a bathing suit. Pet friendly, local restaurants offer discounts wish I knew this prior to leaving. There's a skydiving place not far from hotel good time killer if you have nothing to do, or if you just want to watch
We had booked 2 rooms. One room fridge did not work, 2 light bulbs not working, power outlet not working. Other room had microwave not working, hair found on bed, garbage can not cleaned out. Book somewhere else if you can
This hotel located close to the premium outmall. Walking distance around 5 mins The price comparatively low. Everything is decently good. The bed is cozy to make us very good sleep. Provide microwave and fridge inside rooms. Internet speed is acceptable. Breakfast time up to 10am. Provide hot food with sausage and egg, makind regular and chocolate waffles. Coffie is good too. . Staff are friendly and helpful.
Very caring staff, accommodations are modern, good wifi in case you are in need of it. Staff also knows about the local area and will offer suggestions upon request. The rooms are refreshing and due to their staff are very clean and presentable. I highly recommend Best Western Grove City
The location was perfect, so close to outlet mall!! The check in was quick and efficient and the staff was very friendly. The rooms were clean and had plenty of space for my entire family! Will definitely stay here again!!
Room smelled like cigarettes and pool was closed due to chemical treatment when they could have done that at night when it is closed rather than during the day when my kids were looking forward to swimming!!
Grungy, out of date! smelled like smoke in a non smoking room. weird layout nothing like pictured Went with BW trying to avoid staying at a "cheap" place. ended up paying for an overpriced motel. Will avoid this place next trip and go with a competitor.
Great place to stay, the location is directly across from the outlet mall, as well you can walk to the mall. Also restaurants are within walking distance. Easy access to I79 . The staff are very friendly and helpful.
Not the most modern of hotels but fairly comfortable. The room was clean but, the mattress needed replacing. Room was noisy due to other guests but did quiet down eventually. Staff were polite and accommodating. The room for the breakfast is far too small to accommodate a full house of guests.
Love the BW in Grove City...we stay there every year for my family reunion weekend. The only downfalls are the beds are harder than rocks and the room for breakfast is very small. Other than those two small issues it is the best value for Grove City area hotels that I have found.
The manager of this property went above and beyond to help solve a problem that I had created when making our reservations. Her diligence also shows in the cleanliness, and comfort of the property. The hotel was located conveniently located near I-79, and an outlet mall.
We stay 2 nights recently. The room was clean, bed was OK. Breakfast was very mediocre as hotel breakfasts go. My biggest complaint was the outside door nearest our room had a broken lock. We were told " wrong parts had come in, but we were in a 'very secure' area. I stay in inside room entrance hotels for optimum security, it seems the doors could have been locked someway at least overnight. Being told it was a safe area didn't help....it's along an interstate highway. It's unlikely we'll stay there again.
Hotel was clean. Breakfast daily. Helpful desk attendants, wonderful room housekeeping. Washer and dryer on site. Pool! Close to the outlets - across the street! Many Restaurants close by. Close to the highway. Great location!
The bed is horrible. I think it still has springs. Pillows are lumpy. Horrible sleep. The room is clean-ish. Dust on the coffee maker, a yellowed shower head, and hair (plural) in the shower. The breakfast buffet was decent but it's disgusting that no one seemed to care that guests were barefoot.
The room had two beds, one bed with stained sheets. The shower had blue soap on walls, and hair in tub; the coffee maker had a used coffee filter still in it. Because it was late at night and we were tired, we stayed but in the morning, while checking out, we mentioned that the room was a little dirty. No comment from the staff. Outside doors in the back and side of hotel stated that you needed a key to get in but they were not "locked".
We stayed at this hotel the weekend of the Bantam Jeep Festival. Our room was ready when we arrived. It was clean with several little extras. There were 2 bottles of water (these were restocked both days). There were plenty of towels of all sizes in the bathroom. Everything in the bathroom was restocked daily. The wifi was steady and fast. The lobby offered newspapers, books, and chilled juice. We were very pleased with the breakfast. There were many choices for hot drinks with lots of fresh options. The eggs were cooked differently each day. The hotel also offers snacks for you to take with you. The staff were all very friendly. Everyone said hello to you with a smile. The lobby staff addressed all of our questions. We will definitely consider staying here again if we return to the area. It is close to the highway and the outlet mall. There were no issues from the major road.
Great location to get on and off the highway. Close to the outlets and dining options. Front desk staff helped out a lot as I made a reservation for Best Western Grove City in another State. He cancelled that reservation and was able to provide rooms at this hotel. Everything was clean and the breakfast was very enjoyable with hot and cold options.
Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and welcoming. We enjoy staying here. It is convenient to the outlets and lots of great places to eat. Plus if you stay there you get discounts in certain places. The bed was a little rough but again the location is worth it
After my stay i check my checking account to see that i was charged 250.00 for smoking in the room. Gje problem is i didnt smoke in the room just left my tobacco in the trash. Thats 250.00? Worst stay ever...
A quaint and small hotel. Directly across from the Outlet mall and able to walk or drive. Carpeted rooms with king bed. Fowl smell from taps and rough night on mattress. Small washroom, but Cheap for one night.
The hot tub in our room was wonderful. It was the largest and comfortably seated both my and my husband. Dimming lights were an added touch. Ample parking. Right next door to 2 restaurants. HOWEVER, the ice machine was broken no way to get ice. No elevator to the second floor, for those of us with bad knees they should tell you this on the website. Breakfast was bad. At 8am the breakfast room was full. We got the last table. No eggs. 2 pieces of sausage. After about 15 minutes eggs came out very wet for scrambled eggs. Then again 10 minutes later more eggs. Never did get any sausage. Breakfast person was not keeping up. Never checked on the amount of what was left until a lady went and found him. Room is too small for that many people. They have room to expand the breakfast area and need to do so. Staff was nice and helpful.
We enjoy staying here when we are in the area. The rooms are always clean and the staff is always very accommodating. We love the jacuzzi in the room and the bed is "spacious!" It is also close by otehr places to eat so it is no trouble to eat, sleep and rest!
Nice stay and very close to the outlet. Will try to use the pool and sauna next time. Nice and warm welcome at the check-in. Breakfast is not bad. Like the breakfast station operated 24/7 which allow you to get hot water, fruit, yogurt, coffee at anytime.
The room cost for one night was $165 plus fees and tax for a total cost of $185. Way overpriced!!!! I was promised an AARP discount, but didn't receive one. The room was okay, but senior citizens ,this one night was budget busting. We could have declined and walked out,but we were tired and bit the bullet
This is a very nice Best Western. The rooms were very clean and the staff very friendly. The breakfast was very good and the person taking care of the breakfast was great!! We always stay at Best Western and this is one of the nicest.
My wife and I have stayed at this Inn a number of times. We have been very happy with the services, the staff and the generous breakfast. It's across the road from Grove City Outlet Mall. It's a couple of minutes from the highway. There is a variety of restaurants within a few minutes from the Inn.
Breakfast room too small - we could hardly move inside the room. Not enough food and no attendant was available so we went elsewhere. Room was good and clean. Review must be 200 characters but I am finished my review. This is stupid.
We have been staying at this Best Western a few times a year, since 2011, because it is near the college our three children attend(ed). It has always been a nice, no frills stay. But this past weekend, we perceive that management standards have significantly lowered. Most noticed was our breakfast experience. As usual, the small dining area was over-crowded, but this time it was obvious no one was consistently managing the morning rush hour(s). The food choices were minimal, and containers/frig empty of the limited offerings. The two trash bins were overflowing and the tables dirty. While breakfast offerings of this level hotel vary widely, there is always a staff member managing the busy times. I asked the desk clerk and he said it was his responsibility to manage both desk check-outs and the breakfast area. Clearly, not possible on a busy weekend morning.
Of several newer hotels in the area, this one is older. Was looking forward to the pool but it was closed.Got the jacuzzi room and it was average. Bed and pillows were not comfortable. Good breakfast and close to outlets. If you're just looking for a place to sleep after shopping, it'll do.
This is a basic good value hotel. Rates are good, staff is friendly. Hotel is overall clean and inviting. Was disappointed by Housekeeping, they did not do a very good job cleaning rooms over the several days we were in hotel. Breakfast is decent. They are extremely accommodating. Would stay again.
Our room was very clean. The free buffet breakfast was awesome. The kitchen staff were always refilling the food when it's low. I forgot about my credit card and the receptionist handed it over to my room.
The rooms are in desperate need of some upgraded. From rusting in the bathroom to be an old, uncomfortable mattress... This hotel is ridiculously overpriced for what you get. The room was freezing, there was only 1 sad excuse for a blanket, the mattress is terrible, and the pillows were the size of throw pillows. Poor comfort overall. One positive... They offer a decent breakfast.
I have been staying at the same hotel in grove city ,pa on black friday weekend for the past 18 years- great rates and excellent service very friendly and professional Breakfast was great and very convenient right across the street from the outlet mall. Also staying at the is hotel you get a discount at the elephant castle restaurant across the street
This little hotel has a precious hometown friendly flare. Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean and tidy. The kids love that I will get in this pool and swim with them because it is warm and comfortable at a constant 89 degrees. I also like the warm sauna. Quiet. Reliable internet. The best value for your dollar in Grove City.
Our stay was ok. The walls are extremely thin and you can hear everything going on in the neighboring rooms. Also, if you're on the first floor you can hear every step being taken in the room above you. The beds are quite uncomfortable too. The complementary breakfast isn't anything special but it was nice to not have to worry about going else where. The staff members overall were friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean. We'd stay here again if we found a great deal but we'd look elsewhere first.
We have stayed here about 10 times. We are sorry to say we won't be back. Hot tub was taken out. Pool needed upgrade. Heat didn't work right in the room.We had the thermostat on 90 and it was barely 70.Light was blown in shower. No exhaust fan in bathroom. Room was haphazardly put together each day. No class.Read the paper when you arrive and they want you to initial and sign. They want to sneak in $2 per night for some donation. Then they charged it again at checkout and I had to he credited. Managed by foreigners and clearly down downhill . Really sad. Had always enjoyed it in the past.
Stayed here while shoppong at the outlet mall. Hotel is very close, clean, and quiet , staff very friendly and accomodating. Good breakfast in morning. Nice pool area. Great value for the money. We would definitely book again.
Obviously the customers will keep on coming to this location for the shopping venue across the street, but not for the hotel quality. The whole place needs an overhaul. The toilet in our room actually rocked when you sat down on it. They provided 3 towels for two adults and there were no bedspreads! The milk in the breakfast nook was sour and the scrambled eggs cold. It would have been nice to have a piece of fruit with breakfast but it was all gone by the time we got there and we weren't late. Not everyone wants a breakfast of waffles, muffins and Danish. Coffee came from a machine not a fresh pot. The room price was twice of what we have paid at other Best Westerns. What you save at the outlet you will spend here.
We have been to other Best westerns which were better but this place was okay the rooms were clean but quite dark-ish. The hotel was undergoing renovations which is a good sign we could see carpeting being replaced but our room on the ground floor felt somewhat dampish even though we had the AC going. I liked how they had separate toilet area from sink area.
Had to book quickly and have an overnight stay at the Best Western, Grove City. Best decision I have made in ages. The hotel staff were fantastic, the rooms clean and well presented and the hotel even had an indoor heated pool. Lots of snack machines, order in food ability and heaps of good quality restaurants very close and handy. Price was excellent for a last minute check in. Expedia stuffed up the booking, but the hotel were quick to fix it and get me into a room for a great nights sleep. Excellent service and very well located hotel.
The room was very clean; the front desk staff and the cleaning staff were helpful and courteous; and the internet connection was great. I enjoyed the breakfast - there was a nice selection (waffle maker, eggs, coffee, juice, etc.). One special item of hospitality was the book shelf in the lobby, which has used books that one could take back to the room to read. I found that to be a very nice added touch. The pool seemed nice as well - I sat by it reading for a bit, but did not actually use it. I personally did not find the bed all that comfortable and I ended up not sleeping well. That could easily be a
Excellent staff. Friendly and helpful. Not for holiday, but convenient location for those traveling or shopping in the area. Good breakfast, not the continental stuff. Looks like they had a nice pool as well. Safe.
We usually stay here once a year to go shopping and relax. we love the local area and have always had good experiences at the hotel. Staff has always been extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast is really good though sometimes crowded. Having said that we have always had everything we wanted and never went hungry. I love that you can get coffee all day long and each time we have been at the hotel I have been able to ask for fruit any time of the day as I am addicted lol I am going to be visiting again in October and know that I will have more amazing things to say .
I arrived prior to checking and the front desk staff were able to get me an early check in with out any hassles. The room was clean and comfortable. The bedding was great, the complementary toiletries were great. The room didn't smell musty or of smoke. The price is fantastic for the quality of hotel. The breakfast was not as much selection as I would have liked. They had coffee, juices, milk etc. waffles, toast, bagels, oatmeal, eggs, biscuits, yogurt, cereal, I guess that does sound like a lot, I guess I am more of a bacon and eggs and sausage kinda breakfast person, so I was a tiny bit disappointed. The pool looked nice and the staff were very kind and helpful.
Great hotel location! Located across the street from Grove City Outlet Mall. Hotel is located right near the exit from the highway. Close to shopping, restaurants and gas station. Can get discounts for some restaurants from the hotel. Hot and cold foods are served for breakfast. Lemonade available for no charge in the hotel lobby.
Pros: comfortable bed, convenient location, good breakfast, fresh fruit and drinks available 24hrs, toiletries included. Cons: bathroom dirty, toilet not secure to floor so was wiggly when sat on, pool older and liner getting grubby looking, carpets stained, pillows too fat & high left me with a sore neck
First, I now know that there are no hotels inside the city limits of Grove City. There are quite a few hotels close to the Outlet Mall, but several show up as Mercer hotels (not that Mercer is any closer). So, the rating system for Grove City hotels is wonky, in my opinion. I can't say that the Best Western is not better than the Comfort, Super 8, or Monroe, but I'm guessing that the TownePlace and HIX would give it a run for the money. I will agree that it probably deserves to be rated as "best value" - the Tripadvisor/Get A Room system worked well and the price was excellent. First, Manager Katie knows her stuff about the hotel and the area. She is very helpful and a fountain of info. Random thoughts from four of us who stayed there: Esthetically interesting if you like paintings hung 8" from the the ceiling, and the same painting on two walls. Carpet has an iron print on it. Room size is fine, but bathroom is miniature. You can see through the TP - never seen two plies so thin. Applaud the move toward more "green" paper products, but I don't support a mandatory $2.00 charge to guests to make the program work. Breaks are necessary, and perhaps this is a matter of not sufficient staffing, but front desk was regularly left unstaffed with a "serving a guest" sign while front desk person was on break. Breakfasts (especially waffles!) are good. Pool is nice. Hotel is very quiet.
We stopped after traveling all day in the pouring rain. Should have kept going but we were tired and needed somewhere to rest. Was told when we checked in that there was internet available and a hot breakfast in the morning. All I can good say is that the beds were comfortable and room was quiet. Night we stayed, pool was under construction, ice machines out of order, no internet, and a very minimal breakfast with nothing hot and out of many items. Felt the room was over priced for what we received.
Already said all I'm going to say. you are making me say more than I want to. just like your hotel, you want me to subject myself to your horrible rooms, never again. Hope this is enough now Why do you want me to say more about your place. my husband went to use the breakfast you offer, however he said there wasn't even any sausage, nothing worth eating, it said breakfast not continental eating. It didn't say just biscuits and rolls for breakfast with some juice.
We stopped here on our way home. It was a good price and a clean maintained rooms. It was a good place to stop for a good night's rest. The area was nice and felt safe. Also if your in the shopping mind the Grove City Outlet mall (which is huge) is right next door. All in all it was a good place to stop and a good restaurant next door so no need to drive with good food and pleasant staff.
upon arrival I asked for my free night (I knew I had plenty of points )reception lady said I should have book in advance ONLINE ,,we had no lap top and no cell phone to do this ,,and iv never done it this way before and I had a free walk in night in Morgan town with no problem, and a smile to go with it ,,,also no pool ,,it was being cleaned BUT ALSO no computer working (only one computer available,,reception lady told me (after 4 tries to get in ) and she had tried to get in ,,that she didn't know the password for that computer and her office computer she said she had never been told it ,,I thought that a bit weird ,,SO NO FREE NIGHT <
We stopped here when outlet shopping on our way home. The hotel is clean and comfortable and the rooms large and accommodating. The pool was closed for repairs which was disappointing. Not their fault so that's how it was. However the internet problems were another thing. We had constant issues trying to log in and this went on for both days we stayed there. Other than that great place to stay.
Stayed here 2 nights mid April 2018. We were shopping mostly at the Outlet Mall. Stayed in hotel before and usually stay at BW during our travels. This is an older BW, but will be going through total renovations later this Spring. Why we stay there: very close to outlet mall, lower price that out area hotels, decent breakfast, great staff, clean with good sized rooms.
There was no mention on the booking site that the pool was closed. So if your expecting to use the pool call ahead. The hotel is in need of an update. The rooms are clean and the hotel is in a great location for the outlet mall, colleges in the areas and major highways.
My wife and I went for a mini vacation and stayed at this hotel overnight while shopping at the nearby outlet mall. While not the cheapest hotel it was amazingly quiet and well maintained. I would definitely recommend it!
We stayed one night here, couldn't beat the price $120 for a jacuzzi suite. King size bed was very comfortable, bathroom was a little small but the Jacuzzi tub was awesome. Pool was being renovated, but we didn't plan on using it anyways. Staff was excellent they let us check in early and have a late check out. Definitely would recommend. And we hope to return when we are back in the area.
The woman who checked us in was very friendly and helpful. We asked about a place to eat dinner and she offered suggestions, then gave us a coupon for the place we decided on. We also needed to do laundry and found the area very clean. Our room was also very clean and comfortable. The breakfast area was also very clean. Although the scrambled eggs and sausage were gone, a lady brought more out quickly. There were the usual breakfast items, plus a nice coffee machine which dispensed specialty coffees which was a nice treat! The coffee was available 24/7.
Clean accommodations and friendly staff. Pool was not open, refrigerator in room did not work and the fan on the heater was not working either. When inquiring about the refrigerator we were told that maintenance would look at it on Monday.
Not only is this hotel old, it's dirty and filthy. We upgraded to a king jacuzzi room and when we arrived, it was then that we were told there are no elevators and king rooms are on the second floor. We decided to accept a handicap king room on the first floor, but when we entered it was a queen room. We paid more for what? We went back to the lobby and noticed the poor condition of this hotel. Pool wasn't in service, the coffee was a powered machine, and we decided we don't want to stay. The girl at the front desk didn't know how to give refunds or to cancel rooms. We called BW and were on hold for over 45 min. Worst customer service!
The hotel is ok for the money. Rooms are a little outdated. Breakfast is satisfactory..we like vest western but was unhappy about the pool being closed. It should have been mentioned to us. We wouldn't have stayed. Would have found another place to stay.
This is an older hotel but very convenient to outlet mall and as a stop off point on long drive from Florida. The beds were very comfortable and breakfast had a good variety to suit 5 to 67 year old tastes..Pool is currently being renovated. Somewhat quirky bathroom design with sink located in main sleeping area. .
The hotel is located next to excellent restaurants and an outlet shopping center. This allowed multiple opportunities for evening activities and food fare. Excellent location for all ages. Located less then a few hundred feet from major highway.
Decent hotel across the street from outlet mall. Rooms good. Internet and breakfast Ok. Need a little more attention to customer service and professional appearance for some of the front desk staff. Fairly high price for a Best Western, probably based on location
The hotel was comfortable but just a little dated. Right across the street from the Outlet Mall so super convenient! Pool was closed and under construction :). Surprisingly good breakfast! Lots to chose from.
Just a stop for the night on a recent trip. The motel is good and the people were nice. Close to shopping if that is what you are into. Plenty of places to eat nearby and a lot of gas stations to get you back on the road in the morning.
Very clean, 2 story updated in 2016. Close to outlet mall. Great breakfast, new indoor pool. Have stayed here four times on our yearly excursions to this beautiful mall. Our room overlooked our car, parking close to our room. Friendly staff.
We decided to take our time heading south from Ontario so we stopped early at this quaint Grove City hotel which we were quite pleased to stay at. In fact, we met a lady from Ontario who was staying there a second night because of the snowy roads. The price was right, the staff friendly, and it's quite close to the Grove City Premium Outlet Stores if so inclined. Our room was spacious with HD TV with HBO®, a single serve coffee maker, an easy chair, a desk and more. The complimentary breakfast and USA Today® was appreciated. It included meat, eggs, make your own Belgium waffles with toppings, build your own sandwich station, Danish, muffins, English muffins, bagels, hot and cold cereal. There's an indoor pool (being renovated) and sauna, and a business center. The king bed was comfy, the room clean and inviting. We would gladly stay here again.
A very nice looking hotel. We found bugs in the bed of one of our six reserved rooms. The staff moved the folks in the effected room and then charged us for a seventh room! The check-out was slow. So slow that I had to have a member of our party go back to get the receipt later that day. And we were the only ones checking out at the time! The pool area, breakfast area, business center and lobby were all very nice looking.
Satisfactory...staff was very helpful and friendly... Breakfast was fresh daily morning... rooms were clean and internet was fast.Location is also very near to the Outlet Mall Grove City ...Will recommend this place to everyone...
I reserved on line using Rewards Points and checked in after midnight after a long drive. The desk clerk was helpful and very courteous. I had two rooms reserved, and both were ready and just as advertised. Even though the rooms were near the stairs to the second floor, it was quiet with no disturbances. The only slightly annoying thing was that the door handle to one room did not always function properly to open the door, so you sometimes had to swipe the key multiple times before the handle would engage. Not even enough of a problem to report until check out.
excellent place to stay very friendly staff very clean rooms and the breakfast is amazing. will totally stay here again. and from what i hear they will also be getting some updating in the coming months.
Have stayed at this motel for years, as I have business meetings in the area. Always receive excellent service. Quality and value for the price is great; and, addition of soup and dessert for 4-6 pm dinner is a welcome and delicious surprise. GM Debbie Scott and her staff are professional and always welcoming. Best value in Grove City!
One night stay, last minute reservation. Got a good price that we found on line and was honored when we walked in to inquire. Fast efficient check in. Lots of free parking. Ground floor room, no issues with noise inside or outside the hotel. Clean room, comfortable bed. Non smoking, no pets. There was a pool but we didn't use it. Breakfast included with the room, good selection and accommodating of dietary restrictions. Free wifi. Mini fridge and microwave in the room. Good location, close to the interstate, restaurants and shopping. House keeping starting knocking on the door at 9:30am, check out time was 11am. Not sure if they were keen, or if they don't get a list of rooms that are check outs but we turned them away twice between 9:30 and 11am. Only other issue was the bathroom - VERY tiny. In fact, if you were a large person you would have to straddle the toilet or stand in the tub to get the door closed behind you. The sink is outside of the bathroom, it's just the toilet and tub/shower in the bathroom and there is NO room to move. I can't imagine trying to get dressed in the bathroom without bumping your elbows on the walls. Not a deal breaker, but again, if you're a larger person this would be a issue unfortunately.
Great location, walk back from shopping, looking forward to a hot tub for tired feet and legs, no hot tub, it used to have one when we stayed before? No elevator , so ask for the first floor, to hard to haul all the shopping up the stairs. staff ok, but when we informed them about our toilet after just arriving for about 15 minutes, we called down and they told us to come and get the plunger? They could have said they had no one to help at that moment, and if you would like to come and get the plunger and we can send someone later? Nope just come and get the plunger. Not a great start to our weekend, we didn't know what to expect, lol but breakfast and the housekeeping staff were friendly and courteous. And we always visit the American Post (is like our legion) now they are the kindest and friendly people, make us Canadian Ontario girls feel like home. If you are a member of either, be sure to stop in and say hello. sign in and say someone sent you .
Excellent location for shopping at Grove City Outlet. An hour away from Pittsburgh, as well as other shopping malls. Hotel staff is very friendly and rooms are very clean and relatively modern. Lots of free parking.
The hotel exterior was nice. The interior was clean and the front desk staff were pleasant and nice. I don't recommend the breakfast. The person who worked in the dining area was rude. The food was not good.
Please don't come here without reservation as you will be paying a lot. Most of the parking lot was empty and the receptionist told me that there was only one double bed available. I did not leave as it was dark and raining hard.
Comfortable, good staff, polite, good beds, clean. OK location, plentiful parking, good hot breakfast. Were givenan out of the way room as there was a lot of guests which was appreciated as being quiet. GREAT inside pool. 2 floors so no waiting at the elevators. We recommend
Good spot. Clean, nice pool, quiet. OK breakfast selection for people in a hurry. Staff were friendly and helpful. Close to restaurants (but you pretty much have to drive as it is right on the highway. Only drawback was the pillows which were TERRIBLE.
The staff at the hotel were outstanding and very accommodating. I really appreciated the ways that they went out of there way to meet several requests that I made. They were always pleasant and extremely helpful!! The indoor pool and sauna are also very nice features. The only negative for my stay, was my upstairs neighbors who were very loud when they returned to their room between 1 am and 2 am, every morning. The facility could benefit from additional sound dampening.
We had a great stay at this hotel. My grandkids loved the pool and the breakfast was super. The staff were polite and courteous and the room was clean and efficient. We were just across the street from the Mall and there were various restaurants to go to for dinner. We were given discounts at some of the restaurants because we were staying at this hotel
They no longer have a whirlpool as advertised, which is why I stay at this hotel every year. After shopping at the Outlet Mall all day, I really enjoyed the whirlpool. Next year, I will go someplace different.
This hotel is right across from the Outlets so a wonderful location. The hotel needs a bigger breakfast area but there are lots of restaurants close. There are several good restaurants and lots of shopping. Love this area. No tax on clothes which is a real plus.
Very convenient location. Hotel was very clean. The lobby was small but welcoming. There is an indoor pool that is visible as soon as you walk in the lobby - looked very nice, but I did not take advantage of that amenity. The staff was extremely friendly - even helped us make dinner plans. The room was clean, although the mattress was not the comfiest that I've slept on in a hotel. Wi-fi worked well. No complaints. Breakfast had variety of hot and cold foods.
Consistently nice property, conveniently located, clean and comfortable room, good breakfast. Rear access door needs work as it did not work consistently with our key card. Usually stay here or at Penn Ohio BW when we visit our student at Westminster College.
We were traveling with my daughter and 3 year old and 4 month old twins. The check in staff were wonderful to us after our long day in the car. The room was comfortable and so were the beds. The breakfast in the morning was great, as usual at BW.
Very pleased with my one night stay. Check in was quick and the receptionist was friendly. Explained all of the amenities such as free breakfast and wifi. Had a second floor room near the stairs. No noise issues. Room was a good size and clean, king bed was comfortable. Bathroom also clean and satisfactory. Room did appear dated, but for $100 it's expected. Didn't spend much time at breakfast but they had a decent selection. Seating area is tight but no big deal. Checkout quick and friendly service again! Would definitely stay again!
This hotel is overpriced for the services offered. The housekeeping staff had not properly completed their job - all requisites in the room were not there. The TV channels offered were minimal and nowhere near complete
Rooms were nice and clean. Breakfest area way to small . Food was good if you could find a place to sit and eat it. We have been going to this hotel for the past 5 years to shop at the outlets. will return next year.
I stayed here for one night while visiting family. I will probably never stay at a Best Western while in the United States again. The service at the front desk was friendly and quick. The pool was closed for renovation. There was all sorts of dust and debris in the stairwell. The rooms tired appearing and quite depressing. If you look at the close details (behind the lid of the toilet or the air conditioning vents) they defiantly don't clean there. Next time, I will spend the extra money and stay at the much nicer and newer Towneplace Suites by Marriott across the street.
Have stayed at this Best Western several times on our shopping excursions and it is our go to motel when on the road to further destinations. The rooms are superb, nice pool and hot tub. Breakfast is satisfactory and staff are always pleasant. You can find cheaper in the area but if you are looking for a very clean, comfortable motel this would be it.
We stayed 1 night at the Best Western. The service was great and I would highly recommend this hotel because of the staff! The hotel is ideally located to the Grove City outlet mall as well as the highway.
The hotel hall and rooms smelled heavily of smoke, especially the rooms closer to the pool end of the building for some reason. Although the price is good, the rooms are clearly dirty and outdated. The mattress was stained and clearly older than I am. In a pinch, it is a place to stay for a cheap price. The pool area and lobby are nice, but the rooms are horrible. I've stayed in worse places, but only for $30+ less a night. This goes on the list of hotels I won't stay at again unless there is no other option.
As always, this is a GREAT place to stay. Very clean, friendly staff, great breakfast included and coffee/tea and snacks all day. Right across the road from Grove City Outlet Mall and many restaurants around for dinner.
If you are looking for a nice decent hotel for a few days, this place is good. It is clean and well kept, the staff is friendly and the continental breakfast is decent. Pool and sauna are nice but the hot tub is broken. Very close to the prime outlet mall and restaurants.
This easy-access Best Western with its clean comfortable rooms, friendly staff, fresh coffee, and free wi-fi make it the perfect short stay for travellers and shoppers. A quick simple breakfast is included or for those with a heartier appetite there are great restaurants close by. Not fancy, but clean and serviceable and the price was great! We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
This was a quick overnight stop on the long drive home. It was clean, comfortable and reasonably priced. No real complaints and met our needs. We did not use the pool or hot tub but it did look inviting and the location of the hotel itself to the outlet mall was great if that's what you want. We didn't.
Granted this was a cost efficient option and was only there for 14 hours so with that said I gave grace. Was given a handicap accessible room which was not a good fit. Ok move on. The security door near my room had tape on it and deactivated by the staff. Ok move on and lock my door. The breakfast was ok coffee terrible. But the thing that pushed me over the edge was I asked for one hour extension for check out. We were visiting a neighboring college and my son needed to take a quick shower after meeting with administration. We needed one hour. Denied. While I understand policy I also believe in customer service. Due to the managers poor choice not only will we not stay at Best Western Grove City PA but I actually took the time to write a review. Not a happy weary traveler.
Great hotel, clean and comfortable. Friendly helpful staff. Enjoyed my stay. Will definitely stay here again. Location was perfect...near Slippery Rock University and the Premium outlets and great restaurants nearby.
great service, close to outlet mall, décor a little dated. mini fridge was ticking all night long....had to unplug it. Service and staff were fantastic! Breakfast was good.....always enjoy the fresh waffles!
not enough staff, had to clean/change garbage and beds ourselves, had to own towels ourselves broken hot tub, pool dirty, but breakfast was good. Excellent location right off highway and close to restaurants and shopping outlets.
We go ever year for my daughter's testing. They are awesome there. Very courtesy very helpful. Never rude. When we had a problem that got on it right away. As long as my daughter has testing in G.C. We willI stay here.
The room was OK and I would stay there again. Bring you own pillows theirs are terrible. Breakfast could be better. There is a indoor swimming pool. There were people using it but we did not. The night check manager was very helpful.
We like to break our trips to NY here to rest and enjoy the local attractions like the Wendell August factory, the outlet mall and Noni's Italian restaurant. There is also a good Eat'N Park restaurant as well as the Elephant and Castle.
The hotel itself was well presented and breakfast was acceptable and of usual quality for this type of hotel. The main problem we had was the noise level from an adult walking around in the room above ours. It sounded like a herd of elephants
We stayed here overnight on our way across the country. I called ahead and asked some questions about the place and was told it was very nice and had been partially remodeled. In reality this was about a 2+ star hotel by American standards. Small somewhat cramped room with even smaller cramped bathroom. Adequate is how I would describe the room, but not modern. Bed was fairly comfortable. Pool area was nice. We were beat when we arrived and I forgot to ask what the rates were. When we checked out we were charged $140. Apparently that's the going rate in this "college town" (we were advised), but that's ridiculous for this particular room. I questioned it and we were given a slight break but truthfully we wouldn't stay here again.
Nice hot breakfast, food was good, would've been nice to have more variety of muffins than just lemon poppyseed, but otherwise good. Bed pillows are encased, which is VERY good for someone like me that has bad allergies. A few items were not clean as they should've been but overall cleanliness was good. Hot shower in AM was wonderful, plenty of hot water even though hotel was very full, possibly sold out.
I was surprised how updated/newly decorated the hotel/and with full breakfast i.e. with protein-omelettes/eggs/patty sausages available/the lady-worker responsible for replenishing the food items is always there/and food items were always available-with a smile/even I can see always busy, always checking.
Hotel is well located off the highway Real friendly and helpful staff Front desk gave food recommendation for dinner Rooms was super clean and bed very comfortable . Breakfast was good as well Internet worked well
I stayed for 2 night with my Mom and children to do some shopping I booked this trip through booking.com - charged us for 3 days claiming we authorized 3 night which is incorrect - bitter taste in my mouth- will never stay at a Best Western again. Feel like they ripped me off . Don't stay here
We have stayed at this hotel a few times and have been satisfied with what we got in the way of service and room quality. The rooms were very clean and the beds were as expected for a standard Best Western hotel. As we were just here to shop at the outlets, it suited our purpose. We would stay here again.
As in previous years when in the area, I've stayed at this Best Western with positive results. The room was large, bed comfortable, wide assortment for breakfast, amenities plentiful - of which I wasn't able to enjoy the pool only due to constrictions on my available time. Maybe next year. There was even hot coffee ready so that I could fill my travel mug after checking out. There was only a couple really nit-picking items that I was able to talk with the desk clerk about - namely one outlet wasn't working which didn't really make much of an impact since one of a multitude of lights was plugged into it and I never needed that specific light.
This hotel is very convenient when traveling on I-79. The hotel makes a great stopping point about an hour north of Pittsburgh with easy access to the highway. The hotel itself was clean and quiet with comfortable beds and a decent shower. The location was good, with the outlet malls across the street to allow stretching of tired legs after a day of traveling. Although the hotel doesn't have an attached restaurant, there are many in the area - including a King's in the same parking lot.
The staff was wonderful and accommodating. Great room it was clean and comfortable. The pool was very clean and stocked with plenty of towels. Breakfast was yummy! Presentation was nice with plenty of options. Definitely a great stay!
This wasn't the greatest hotel in Grove City, PA to stay, but it was one of the cheaper ones. The rooms could use some updating, especially the bedding which was pretty thin. The breakfast wasn't bad, there was a decent waffle makers and coffee and some other grab and go pastries. The check-in process was great and the front desk staff was friendly, but the complete opposite was true during check-out where the staff was rude, so I guess it just depends on who is working. Overall, if you are looking for a close stay to the outlets and don't plan on spending much time in your room, or much money on a hotel, I would recommend.
On my way back from New York, decided to shop in Grove City. Front desk was very polite, the room was for handicap people, which I must say worked out well. Especially the large shower..lol...lol Average stay, breakfast very minimal, price great!
I was displeased with how my reservation was handled. While making the reservation over the phone I was told I would have a first floor room with 2 beds and a roll away cot. Upon checking in, they had me in a second floor room, with no elevator. My 87 year old grandma can barely walk. Finally they "magically found" a first floor room after they told me they were fully booked. However, they haven't had roll away cots in 7 years, when they initially told me on the phone that one would not be a problem.
Dirty and nasty room. Wads of hair behind the bathroom door. Bathroom was very small. Breakfast was dry and stale. Front staff not visible. Every time we walked to the front, they were sitting in the office.
A classic case of you pay for what you get. Low price = small towels, no shampoo, clean but not spotless room, moderate speed internet, etc. None of this would stop me from using this hotel again, but this hotel would not be my first choice in the price range.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Staff went out of their way to make sure everything so running smoothly. Lots of nice restaurants around, easy access to Interstate and close to Outlet Mall. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was above norm.
This hotel looks and feels very tired. You kind of get the feeling that the hotel is just trying to hang on. The hotel is clean and the carpets aren't all stained or anything, but the décor and furniture is very old, quite a few of the outlets in the room didn't work at all and the hot tub in the pool area looks like its permanently closed down. Our room was a comfortable size. The bathroom is tiny, impossible to fit more than 1 person in at a time. The in-room hot tub was great however the grout around the tiles was moldy and many of the tiles were loose or broken. The mattress on the bed was so uncomfortable (hard as a rock) that we barely slept . Pillows are odd square shaped pillows...also not particularly comfortable. Positive notes: Staff was friendly. Hotel is directly across from outlet mall The free breakfast was good Air conditioner worked great I read many of the reviews before booking and one thing I found misleading was when people commented that they were given a room facing the pool. I assumed there were a lot of these...I say at max 2 rooms face the pool, the majority do not. Also, this hotel comes up on TripAdvisor as #1 hotel in Grove City...I can not imagine how this could possibly be true. People should also note that there is no elevator, so if you are on the second floor be prepared to lug you luggage up the stairs.
A pleasant, clean and friendly hotel close to outlet shoppinjg. Breakfast was adequate and the pool good and never very busy even on hot days. Rooms were basic but clean and bright. Bathrooms were very small but functional.
Great place. Great staff. Close to a lot of good things.close by. We always make this a place to stop for the day on our way to New York. There is an English Pub across the street with great English food.
I had planned a shopping trip with my daughters and granddaughter to the outlets and overnight stay. The Best Western was a good choice for our stay because of the value, location, and amenities. We were close to shopping and restaurants. The Best Western was clean and comfortable. I was greeted by a friendly staff and check-in was a breeze. I would not hesitate to book there again.
Checked-in, was given room 205, dropped our things in the room and proceeded to check out the outlets across the street, came back into the room which had double beds, my cousin noticed stains on her bed when she moved the sheet back and upon further inspection realized it was blood stains. We called down to the front desk and they moved us to another room (according to them an "upgrade", we didn't ask for an upgrade, room 201), I requested a refund but was told only the day manager could authorize the refund. Later that night killed a black bug crawling along the lamp in room 201. Didn't sleep a wink that night because all I could think about was the unsanitary conditions of the place. Next morning front desk manager, Katie Hassel, proceeded to explain to us because we booked thru booking.com she couldn't refund our money (different pay system) and we would have to contact booking.com and the best she could do was give us a $50 gift card. We explained we didn't want the gift card just our money back and was told we would have to contact booking.com to have our money returned. Upon my return have dealt with booking.com who tells me because we received an "upgrade" and took the gift card that the hotel will not do a refund and only the hotel can return my money. I contacted Best Western head office and was told only the hotel I stayed at can return my money so despite the fact that I asked for my money back I was given false information and sent on run-around. This hotel had bloody sheets - not only is this unclean, it is unhealthy- who knows what we were exposed too. The experience was so horrible we did not continue with any shopping at the outlets and proceeded to return home to Canada the next morning. Thank you Best Western for ruining our weekend and now giving me the run-around.
I hate that TA doesn't allow half point rankings. I can't give this a 4, but I do feel like 3 is maybe a bit low. Solid 3.5 hotel! A friend and I like to visit Grove City every few years to do some shopping. We've stayed at other hotels before and decided to give this Best Western a try based on the reviews and a less than pleasant experience at the hotel we'd stayed at before (wasn't keen to go back). I am having a harder time being really subjective because we stayed at a REALLY nice boutique hotel in Pittsburgh the night before staying here, but, kind of like comparing apples and oranges so here goes! First off the location is awesome. Right off the highway, lots of parking and very easy to find. If you are there to shop, you really can't get much closer to the mall. Also steps away from several restaurants/bars. We arrived about 5pm on a Saturday. Check in was quick and the attendant was friendly. We moved our car to the door she suggested and our room was very quick to get in/out of. We were on the second floor (which we preferred). The room was fine. Maybe not the cleanest room ever - the microwave really needed a good scrub, there was hair on some of the bedding (through the sheets seemed clean) and a few patches of the carpet seemed a bit...sketchy. The bathroom (the closed in part with the toilet and bathtub) was VERY small. I was thankful we are both smaller people! There was a nice TV with lots of channels and a fridge. The pillows were really tiny but at least there were a lot of them! The AC was sort of hit/miss...the room would alternate between really cold and stuffy no matter what temperature you set it to. Relatively quiet...especially considering there was a lot of teenaged baseball players at the hotel when we were. The breakfast was actually pretty good. I mean standard choices but they kept it well replenished and it's always nice to have breakfast included! They should look at improving the lighting in that area though, it was very dark which made it feel sort of blah. Grove City, considering it is really not a lot more than a mall, is a shockingly expensive place to stay in the summer. Some of the other hotels in the area cost a LOT more money and while I'm sure they are probably a bit more high end in finishes it really doesn't seem worth it to me given how much time we spend in the room. If there to shop, might as well save some money to spend at the outlets! Overall I did like this Best Western. Given it's price compared to other hotels in Grove City it offered a better value. Next time we are back in the area, I will definitely consider staying again!
The location is great, with the outlets right across the street and an awesome brewery close. Beds were comfy, ac didn't regulate itself very well. Either too cold or too stuffy. Dust was every where, even on the lid on the ice bin! They were totally booked the night that we stayed...no noise! Was very quiet!!
Booked a room for my daughter and 2 grandkids. Check in was easy for them, breakfast and Wi-Fi included. There were no problems at all. I have found Best Western to always be accommodating whether I was booking for myself or someone else in the family. Everything was perfect!
I highly recommend this hotel, it was very nice and well kept and in a great location. The breakfast was very good and the service was great. They had an indoor pool. I felt very safe and secure in the hotel. I am planning on going back, that's how much I liked staying there. They are across the street from the outlets and several restaurants..
Our stay here was excellent. The salt water pool is small but it wasn't busy when we were there. Our room was very nice. Had been upgraded but couldn't accept it since there are no upgraded rooms on the main floor and no elevator for the second floor for anyone with mobility issues. Our room was very nice. Air conditioner worked wonderfully. Bed was very comfortable and a nice bathroom. Breakfast was a little crowded but everyone managed. The check in staff and check out staff were super friendly and helpful. Lots of restaurants in the area to choose from.
Checked with two other hotels first, glad I picked Best Western. Great value and great place to stay. Room was clean and comfortable. Great service. Delicious breakfast. No problems at all. Highly recommend.
Arrived to find that the hot tub was out of order and that I was assigned to a room on the second floor with no elevator at this hotel. I have a very hard time going up and down stairs. Once in the room, it was comfortable and I slept well. The internet worked OK and there was plenty of hot water. I did not get to try breakfast as I had to be at work before it started, but was given a grab and go bag with fruit, yogurt and a granola bar along with a bottle of water. My employer books my rooms so I have no choice about where I stay, but this hotel was OK.
We stayed here three nights over Memorial Day and it was perfect for us. Close to restaurants, and shopping and yo Wendel August tours; motel even gives you a signed coupon card for a free ornament (one per household) when you ask. They had complimentary cookies on Sunday evening--always have coffee and tea. Breakfast had the BEST waffles, even had a banana nut batter. They had nutella , plus blueberry and strawberry topping. Had eggs, sausage, biscuits with sausage gravy, apples oranges, bananas, yogurt, cereals, toast , bagels, lemon poppyseed mini muffins, coffee with French vanilla and hazelnut creamers. No granola, but I suggested they get it. The breakfast area is small. Indoor pool and hot tub are nice--hot tub is not real hot. No fitness room. The BW rewards summer program is on--will help with ten dollars each stay toward free night. Will stay here again over Fourth of July. Would reccommend. Workers are very helpful and friendly and pleasant.
We always stay there because it's across the street from the Outlets. We always get the same handicap room. Staff is very nice. Nice restaurant perks when you stay there too. We also have the rewards card.
good price, great breakfast, pool was wonderfull This is the second time we stayed here and we will stay again. We love to use the pool and this time it was just the perfect temp. You could'nt ask for a better breakfast,, so many hot and cold choices.
We stayed in Grove City to attend SRU Graduation. Hotel was easy to find and has decent restaurants located nearby. Hotel has free wifi, continental breakfast, and a nice pool/sauna area. Sauna was out of service during our visit but we did use the pool. A lot of lights in the room when you are trying to sleep- tv/micro/alarm clock- use extra pad of paper to cover those up. We heard the people staying above us walking around most of the night, so my tip would be to stay on the second floor so heavy walkers don't keep you up at night.
This hotel has a comfortable bed, soft pillows, great location to the outlet mall, clean room and even breakfast included. Cant ask for much more when you want to just lay your head down for a night. It is always clean and has a nice indoor pool. Will be back next time
outside appearance does NOT reflect the rooms. this hotel should've invested the money remodeling the exterior into the rooms instead of making it look nicer on the outside. The rooms definitely need cleaned and the beds need upgraded. Sheets and comforter were dirty.
We stayed for a girls weekend to go shopping. It was noce because it is,near the outlet mall. Unfortunately, the hot tub was cold. The room was too tiny for the price we paid. Hallway stunk. And we found a palmeto roach which they insisted that's not what it was.....
Great little place to stay, Right across the road from shopping mall.. and good restaurants.. staff friendly, rooms clean...our mini frig was loud we unplugged it.. could use a little uplift.. overall great value
We stopped in Grove City for the night on our travel home and to do a little shopping! My Wife travels a lot for work and is a Diamond Member of BW rewards well BW Grove City seems like gave us the Best room in the house! the room was fantastic over looked the pool we had a hot tub and more room then we could ask for! My only complaint and it is minor is the pillows were a bit uncomfortable but that is it! The Breakfast Buffet had everything we needed and we were full when we left! We had a great stay and we will stay here the next time we travel through! Keep up the great work! We will be back!
Great location for Grove City visitors. We stayed two nights and did not have any issues. I would say the breakfast was the highlight of our stay. Best Western would be best served to update beds and pillows.
We were only there for one night but it was very convenient to Grove City College, the high way, outlet mall and food. The people were very nice too. The pool was a good way to relax before bedtime. We had a nice, comfortable stay.
In the last 6 months we've stayed at the Best Western 4 times and were not disappointed. We will make best Western our hotel of choice from now on. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was perfect for what we wanted.
This hotel is located just off the interstate, but is a few properties back, so road noise wasn't an issue. Our check-in process was quick and efficient and the desk clerk was friendly and knowledgeable. This property is clean and well maintained. The rooms are spacious and comfortable (our family of 2 adults & 2 teens had no problem finding space for all our luggage) while my husband & I both thought the bed was a bit hard, our kids thought theirs was very comfortable. I didn't think to check out their bed to see if it was actually different from ours or if they just like that kind of mattress. The breakfast area was crowded, but there was plenty of food for the typical hotel breakfast. We didn't get a chance to try out the pool so can't comment on that. The hotel is supposed to be pet free, but we did see someone out back with their small dog when we were driving around to our parking spot after check-in. I suppose there's not much that can be done when people are dishonest & sneaky. This hotel is located across the street from the outlet mall, so I was able to walk over & get a head start on shopping while my family took their time getting ready & checking out. There are no sidewalks, though, so it wouldn't be a fun (nor necessarily safe) walk in the winter or for those with mobility issues. All in all, this establishment was clean, quiet, well maintained, and in a good location. We will definitely stay here again
Stayed in the hotel April 9-10 20017. Hotel was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful and it is close to everything. Across the street from the outlet mall. Would definitely stay there again. Breakfast buffet was clean and well stocked with and attractive eating area.
The hotel is clean and the staff are fantastic. They go above and beyond to make your stay great. Cannot speak highly enough about this property. They have a nice pool, sauna and hot tub. Rooms are clean and nice. I stay here everything I'm in town.
The owner is not doing routine maintenance as the sink drained very slowly. The sofa offered no support as the seats were broken down. The office chair seat was uncomfortable and the back of the chair offered no support. Friendly staff and better than average breakfast
hotel which was convient.the staff was helpful and knowledgeable, because we did not know the area about where to find nice restaurant,we loved it. Overall our stay at best western was good, breakfast was good,i would stay there again,
Worked out great for location, next to the outlets and multiple dining locations! Will definitely stay again! My children enjoyed the pool as well. The staff was friendly and the continental breakfast was nice as well!
This hotel is really close to the outlets. The girls and I used this hotel for our shopping trip. The price was cheaper than most in the area ($343 for 2 nights, although we booked far in advance!). It has a free breakfast consisting of eggs, meat, waffles, breads, yogurts, cereal, etc. The breakfast area is EXTREMELY tiny. It was very difficult to grab your food especially during a busy shopping weekend! There are not many tables and chairs so we asked if we could eat in the pool area, which we did. As for the room, it is small and is in need of an update. The shower, though hot, had a trickling of water coming out (very hard water I guess!)
Great location if you are there to shop at other malls and perfect location for the outlet. Discount coupons for the elephant and castle restaurant across the street !! Great staff. Hotel is a tad dated but very clean
I stayed here two years in a row for Black Friday shopping. Great location. The furnace was really loud and the pillows weren't that comfy, but for the price and convenience it was worth it. I will continue to stay.
We were greeted by the very friendly management couple upon checkin. The smell of freshly baked homemade cookies wafted throughout. We were invited to help ourselves once we had got settled in our room. The accommodation was comfortable and included a King size bed plus a pullout couch which we used for television viewing. We were told about closures of local restaurants for Thanksgiving Day but also times when each would reopen along with the Black Friday shopping hours. After a good night's sleep we were treated to a very nicely set up buffet breakfast which of course was comolimentary. There was hot or cold cereal, hard boiled eggs, bread, bagels muffins and sweet rolls as well as make you own waffles and fresh fruit. Also juice, tea or coffee and hot chocolate mix. Overall a very nice place to stay and the cookies were to die for.
Love staying here! So close we can go back and forth with all our shopping bags ! Breakfast is great the breakfast area could use a few more tables but not enough space! Sometimes it's busy so we bring our food back to our room!
We decided last minute to road trip to the Outlet Mall. I booked the room and reserved 2 beds. When we arrived after the long drive, I decided I would like to upgrade to a jacuzzi room. The check in csr was great and gave me a discount which resulted in a spectacular deal for the upgrade. Breakfast was quality but seating area was too small and we had to take our breakfast back to our room. I would recommend.
We stayed here on a shopping trip to Grove City in November 2016. Booking was easy and service was very good. I was actually given a discount on the room when I signed up for free for Best Western rewards, so take advantage of that if you stay here or at any BW. When we arrive, check-in was fast and friendly. We received discount vouchers for 2 local restaurants. The room was clean, a good size and modern. King bed, mini fridge and LCD TV. Nothing fancy here, but what you need for a short stay. There was a pool (we never used), Wifi was good, breakfast provided was simple and small and we chose to eat out. All in all a good stay and experience and if shopping at the outlets is the prime reason for your visit, this is an excellent choice as the outlets are literally across the road. We would stay here again if we were to return to the area.
we were returning home from North Carolina stopped to visit family in the area this was a very nice clean and comfortable place to stay the staff was excellent we left our toothbrushes in NC they were able to give us replacements.
A bit of an older hotel, but the great, personable service makes up for it in strides. Loved the front desk staff when I had a special request. Breakfast is better than most of the typical hotel continental breakfasts. I would not hesitate to stay here again.
Dirty bathroom floor. The room was in need of a thorough cleaning- dust everywhere. First day at breakfast was actually not bad but the second day no one could eat the ham they had put out. The waffle tasted odd almost pasty, couldn't finish it. Why do budget hotels have to be so mediocre.
Stayed here to shop at the outlets. We went to check in at 3pm or a little after and we were told check in was 4pm, but the rooms were ready so we checked in. Room was clean, but the sink faucet could be tightened as kept turning off. Breakfast was ok
This hotel has always had a friendly staff, they are very welcoming. You can walk to the shopping at Grove City Mall and you can also walk to restaurants. It is all about location, location, location. The hotel has everything we need.
We had a good stay -we felt this was of good value, friendly staff, clean rooms, good breakfast - handy location for mall access, area interest brochures available , and newspaper, available too. Lots of various restaurants nearby. Well lit parking area. Felt safe and secure.
Our purpose for visiting the area was for shopping at the Outlet Stores. We found we were literally across the road from the entrance to the Stores. Our room at the hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff was very helpful with registration and sharing information about the area.
So - I'll be the first to admit that this may be a single bad experience, but I can only report on what we saw. We arrived very late and very tired, were dealt with promptly and went to bed. All good. Next morning we realized that the bathroom was rather unclean. Specifically, there was dried urine and pubic hairs between the tub and the toilet. No - this was not from us. We had not used it yet. Pretty gross pictures attached. All of us in our group felt that the beds were uncomfortable- they could also use better pillows. Four little square pillows are no substitute for one decent pillow. Breakfast was disappointing. Raisin Bran was stale. The sausage and eggs looked and tasted nasty. They must be the cheapest ones available. Yoghurts (from the fridge) were warm too. Overall not good and set up in a tiny cramped space. Would we visit again? Probably not. It just didn't feel good and there are better hotels at a similar price nearby. Overall, disappointed.
entering your hotel, best western grove city inn, grove city, Pennsylvania, I was greeted by a cheerful smile and a very kind woman- Holly. her pleasant personality and wonderful attitude was refreshing after the long ride I had just completed. check in was easy and painless.
We stayed for one night on our way for VA to Niagara Falls. We were very comfortable and found the our stay to be very quite. This motel is very convenient just off the interstate with dining options close by.
We have stayed at this particular hotel because of the convenience to Grove City Outlet Mall & some of the other near by fall festivals. Convenient to 79. The hotel is also located close to many higher end restaurants. The staff is always very friendly and has helpful information about the surrounding area and events.
The Best Western is very convenient to the Outlets in Grove City, PA. There is no elevator at this location. There are approximately 17 or 18 stairs, however, they are carpeted and the steps are "easy" to climb. The breakfast is the normal hotel breakfast, we opted to eat at Kings which is right next door. Just more relaxing for my husband and I leave the hotel and be waited on. We would stay again at the Best Western in Grove City mainly for the convenience.
The booking has been done by Hotels.com we have booked 3 rooms for 2 adults and 2 kids the hotel claimed that no booking have been done for the kids and we have to pay for the kids and I have to print the confirmation ...., No Gym which is listed as a facility for the hotel
We stay here every time we go to the outlet mall. Very convenient and great staff. Price is usually less than others. They offer discounts at local restaurants. But if you want a weekend, book wat ahead. I suggest you go during the week, alot quieter.
We have a girls shopping weekend every fall in Pennsylvania. We shop in Erie and Grove City, but stay both nights at the Best Western Grove City and have for years. We always book this hotel as it is always clean, well kept, great rooms, comfortable beds, amazingly helpful and friendly staff and great breakfasts in the morning. And after a "hard" day of shopping, it is great to sit in their hot tub and relax those tired and aching feet and legs. As well as taking a swim! We will be booking again to go back next fall for sure!! Thanks to everyone there for a great weekend!
Broken chair, poor bed, and unhelpful staff . Clerk would not even get out some cereal to help us with an early departure. They want a more lengthy comment in this space and I have already said all I want to say.
great value for the money...spent only over night arrived late and left early. perfect for our needs. If you like to shop it's directly located within walking distance of the outlet stores. We used it as a stop over on a long trip. it's close to the ohio/pa state line
Travelling for an overnight in Grove City with my family. Staying with 2 kids under 2 years old can be challenging...Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Have stayed here before and will again!
Hotel was clean. Bed sagged in the middle. Bathroom was small. Breakfast was good. Had a good selection of food to choose from. Booked a king size bed but ended up with 2 queen size beds. Said it was because we booked through a third part. Told us we had to call the number they could not do anything about it.
My friend and I stayed at this hotel with our daughters for one night while visiting Grove City for a shopping trip. I am shocked that this hotel was rated #1 on TripAdvisor! First, the woman at the check-in, while pleasant, did not want to honour the rate we were given when we booked centrally. She claimed each motel is independently owned and that this particular chain does not provide that rate. After a lengthy discussion, she did wind up honouring it. The whole hotel had a musty dank smell which triggered our allergies. When we were turning into bed, we pulled down the comfortor only to find a used, stained tissue in the bed. This leads me to believe that sheets are not changed in between guest stays. We were told that housekeeping was not there to change the bedding and were given a new room instead. However, we were very reluctant to sleep in the beds as we were worried that sheets may have been used by a prior guest without washing. Though they did suggest we could leave our belongings in the original room to minimize disruption, no further compensation was offered. Finally, we completed paperwork when checking in indicating that we would like the express option of checking out with our bill slid under the door. This did not occur (both rooms were checked) so we had to check out manually through the front desk. Not sure why the option was offered if it wasn't provided. I would not recommend this hotel and would return to the Hampton next time I visit for a shopping trip.
I must say Debbie at this hotel is one extraordinary lovely soul, as a Canadian employee of this company, she welcomed me as if I where one of her own staff, made me feel at home. she is truly on point . The location is perfect ! central to all your needs. beds are comfy, rooms are spacious, the entire hotel is clean and well maintained. I look forward to returning one day ! until we meet again ...
Beautiful small lobby, very helpful, friendly staff and a comfortable room. One point to note - if you don't travel with your own personal pillow like I do, you could find the square, super firm pillows on the beds uncomfortable. To be fair, since I do travel with my own pillow I did not ask the front desk if they had others available.
We were very happy with our King Jacuzzi Room. The pool and hot tub were a little to cold for us, so it was nice having the jacuzzi in the room. Breakfast was pleasant, staff was nice, and place was clean.
Decided at the last minute to go to Grove City outlets to school shop and wanted to spend the night before. After calling a couple of hotels, we booked Best Western. From the front desk who made the reservation to the check in, the stay & checkout, all was very good. Room was clean, the mattress a little hard for me but that is the norm in hotels I have stayed. The pool & hot tub were clean & nice to swim in. The only downside would be the hot tubs temp, could have been hottter. Their breakfast buffet was better than some I have had, a nice variety including eggs, sausage, waffles & pancakes. Coffee was good not too strong!! Over all a great stay, would recommend to anyone. The price wasn't bad using AAA discount. We would stay here again.
The bed was hard and lumpy; Exercise room not usable; Water smells bad; Carpet dirty. We were told the Veterans' rate was higher than the normal rate. Not a pleasant stay. I think they should offer free purified water, since the room water was not good.
The hot tub was the right temperature, the room was clean, and the air conditioning very quiet. The breakfast was adequate, and I was able to use the business center to get some work done that would have taken much longer on my tablet in the room, although the WiFi in the room was very good.
The room was a little dated but the staff was very welcoming and friendly. We arrived late and were greeted by a friendly woman at the front desk. We had breakfast in a very clean area, the staff are constantly picking up after everyone and very helpful. The pool is open at 8:00 am, which was great. We had a swim, sat in the hot tub and sauna and then went off to shop. Great value!
I only stay here while friends camp nearby. This year I was quite thankful that I was able to return to an a/c cooled room as the heat and humidity made activity outside uncomfortable. The staff are very polite and helpful. The room was clean, and comfortable with loads of amenities. And if you're here to visit the Grove City Premium Outlets, you're right across the street
Thx. but next time I will continue my search for another hotel that is updated and amenities (sauna and hot tub) maintained are working. We were very impressed with the variety of breakfast including sausages and Eggs, fruit and yogurt, homemade waffles etc.
This hotel was a little dated but still clean. The beds were nice and the breakfast was decent. I thought it was a little pricey for the condition of the hotel. I only stayed one night. Internet was okay late in the evening but didn't work the next morning. I didn't use the pool area at all. Also, housekeeping staff was very friendly as you walked through the halls.
I stay here once a month for business. Place is always clean. Staff always friendly & helpful. Great location near outlets, food, gas & highways. Pool, hot tub & sauna. All rooms have a fridge & microwave. I feel safe traveling here alone, all doors are inside the hotel & need key to enter from outside.
First visit to Outlet mall and decided to book a room for the weekend. Reserved a room at Best Western. It was a great location right across the road from the mall. The rooms were clean, the staff were great. They had an indoor pool with hot tub which was clean. A hot continental breakfast plus other restaurants around to choose from.
Staff very pleasant and helpful. Free parking available on site, Wi-Fi good and overall condition of hotel was great with good breakfast. Right across the street from the outlet mall and many options to eat nearby. Dinner next door at King's Family restaurant was not what we expected (food cold and steak not how we ordered it). Elephant and Castle on the other hand was super.
Overall I would recommend staying at the Best Western at Grove City. Location is good, and its clean and the staff are very friendly. The only negative is, the bed's and pillows need to be upgraded. Swimming pool and hot tub are great:)
Was it the fact that the a/c was set at 64 when we arrived? Was it the dark carpet, which always makes me wonder what it's hiding. Was it the lingering odor in the pillow (vomit, smoke)? Did my back hurt in the morning because of the soft mattress or 6 hours on the road? But the coffee was decent. Chobani yogurt available. The place is better than decrepit, but needs an update.
Clean, comfortable room, good breakfast and friendly staff. Did not use the pool but it looked inviting and was being enjoyed by quite a few other guests. Kings Restaurant is just across the parking lot.
Stayed over night on the way home from Erie PA very nice and clean the beds were great . The internet was a challenge it took some time to get it working but was slow. Front desk staff was helpful on places to eat. the breakfast was really good well stocked and hot .
Staff are welcoming and quick to serve. However, the showers are not very warm and the pressure is low. Breakfast had variety, but the breakfast room is small and dark and gets extremely crowded, so there is little room to prepare your food. An upgrade to the TV would be nice. In June it was reported that the fitness centre was closed, and it was still closed as of July 10th, which was a disappointment.
Do yourself a favour: avoid the Best Western in Grove City, PA. The service was not good, the room was small and noisy, and the pool and hot tub were not clean. The price was good, but the value was poor. This is a poor example of the usual good quality of Best Western hotels.
I love this hotel the staff is very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast is the best hotel breakfast I have had in a long time. Rooms are clean, pool is fantastic, only downfall is the decor is a little dated.
unless your desperate don't stay here, bring bed bug & tick spray, ear plugs, nose pin and clean linens. Don't plan on a shower....water barely runs. Noise all night, staff oblivious to concerns, internet not working when we arrived, started at 11PM
Holly did a good job when I reported that the toilet was not working after the first flushing. She immediately checked the situation and recommended to move us into another room. The staff working in the breakfast area was nice and great. The stay would have been better had there been a gym available. It was closed temporarily due to renovation as posted. I love the roof architecture, construction, chairs, umbrellas, lights, swimming pool, whirl pool, drinking water, and sauna but it would be better if the shower was available in the area. However, I don't understand why my legs became itchy after swimming in the evening and in the morning. I guess the pool was not properly cleaned up. We had been to BW Barboursville, WV, and BW Lousville, KY before checking in this hotel but did not have this experience. So far overall, it was almost perfect.
Good value, clean rooms, nice staff. We needed q-tips when we arrived, not finding a drug store in Grove City. The staff was very pleasant about getting some for us from the office. They offered us discounts on a local restaurant that we had been planning to eat at anyway. All good. Recommend staying here if you are in the area.
The hotel is fairly fresh with a nice comfy bed. Very clean and well kept with a good breakfast. Very conveniently located beside restaurants and lots of shopping at the outlet mall. Ask for a first floor though if you don't like stairs.
Great hotel and again I am amazed with the courteous staff. Definitely seems to be a trend though that every BW we hit at peak check in times there is only 1 person on duty. They are all well trained and work hard but the when you have 3 to 5 couples, tired and ready to check in a line up is the last thing they want.
I find this hotel to meet all the requirements one needs when traveling., Price, Convenience, Friendly Staff. The room was clean and the beds and pillows were comfortable. Pool and Fitness room are never crowded. I have stayed here many times and have tried other hotels in the area. This one keeps me coming back.
Though the décor is a little dated, the hotel is always clean and the staff very friendly. I like the complementary breakfast in the morning. I would recommend this hotel to anyone with students at GCC or Slippery Rock.
I keep meaning to write up this little hotel. We stopped off here on our drive from Hilton Head in South Carolina to Toronto, and it was a perfect stopping point. Great shopping at the Grove City Outlets, and several bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. Hotel was really very nice, rooms clean and comfortable, paring easy and secure, perhaps not 5***** but overall great value and absolutely no criticism can be levelled at it. I would recommend it, it's an upmarket motel with lots of facilities and very friendly management and staff. Breakfast is good too.
The hotel met all of our needs for this trip. We were shopping for the Memorial Day weekend at the Grove City Outlet. The hotel was located just across the street and very convenient. We enjoyed coming back and getting in the pool and hot tub to relax after a day of walking and shopping. The was courteous and helpful. The hotel was clean and comfortable. I would stay again and would recommend it to anyone traveling to Grove City
Nice, clean, well-kept hotel with very friendly staff and easy access to restaurants and shopping. Room was comfortable and includes a microwave and refrigerator. Nice breakfast with pleasant seating area, breakfast included several options.
Nice Hotel and plentiful Breakfast. We always look for a Best Western because of thier quality all around. The breakfast area is a little small for the size of the Hotel. The food was all around good. The price was alittle more then we are use to paying at Best Western. Over all nice stay!!!
My wife and I booked this hotel and took advantage of a king size room with a Jacuzi. Check in was very easy and we arrived later in the evening following a day shopping at Grove City outlets. We were both exhausted ant the Jacuzi fit the bill. The price was quite reasonable and the hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was so so with not a lot of variety compared to other Best Westerns we stayed at but was certainly acceptable. No complaints whatsoever.
I and my motorcycling friends felt it was an exceptional experience. The mgmt. staff appeared to go out of their way to accommodate us. Plus it was very convenient to us for seeking out good restaurants while we stayed there. I look forward to passing thru this area this coming Fall.
I really enjoyed the pool area, which also contains a large hot tub and even a sauna. The breakfast was varied and well stocked, with good product. The room contain a microwave and fridge. The hotel has lots of free parking. Across the street from grove city outlet mall. Across the street is a pub call the elephant and castle that has the best fish and chips even the piece of fish is expertly beer battered and falls over half the plate.
Staff great. Check in and out was smooth and easy. Location is close to mall and highway. Walk to restaurants. Hot and cold breakfast. Rooms and bathrooms clean and bed comfortable. I would stay here again.
Hotel was clean and comfortable, and the room was actually well decorated. For that I give it good marks... HOWEVER... what they neglect to tell you is that the balcony overlooks the indoor swimming pool, and the noise level in the room is out of control. From 8am until 10pm you will have no peace and quiet. Seriously flawed design! If you want a quiet weekend away with your spouse, DO NOT REQUEST THIS ROOM!
We had an adjoining room with a friend that dead bolted her door and the door for the adjoining room shut locking her out. The staff went beyond friendly and were extremely helpful. We were able to get in the room with a special tool. Very friendly and helpful!
Great clean, well maintained property for a reasonable rate. Try and stay here whenever I am in the area. Only negative is the breakfast area is a bit cramped due to the building architecture. Nice pool area.
Rooms are adequate and are generally updated and comfortable. Beds are lumpy and seem to require new mattresses. However, for the area, it's a reasonable cost, generally $30-$50 less a night than Hampton or Holiday Inn Express. This hotel is a much better choice than the Comfort Inn, however. Breakfast was probably the biggest letdown here. Bagels and English muffins were both stale.
Stayed at this hotel overnight while visiting area for a concert. Very nice hotel, clean and comfortable at good price. Breakfast was delicious and good options available, (limited seating) so go early. Only downside is no elevator, but hotel is only 2 floors so if not a lot of luggage not an issue. Close to several restaurants, hotel gets discounts at some and highway. Would definitely stay at this hotel again.
We came to town for a college function and this was our first time staying at your hotel. We were greeted kindly when checking in and each person we have interacted with was nice and helpful. Breakfast area is small but well stocked. The pool (a little cold) and hot tub are in good shape. You can tell that the staff and management work to keep the property looking nice and in good repair. Did not get to see the fitness center as it was closed for repairs. Would definitely choose your hotel again.
I stay here when I am close to the Grove City area. You cannot do better, even at higher priced motels. The motel is convenient to the College and shopping. The staff is just outstanding. Always concerned that your stay was satisfactory. Room and bed are top notch. Great cable. The breakfast was and is always the best. They serve bacon and tell you that you are actually getting pork sausage. A treat for those of us who don't get this treat very often.
On the busy highway; but not noisy once inside. Pleasant check in and check out experiences. Room spacious and clean enough. The pool was void of guests that night; as was the hot tub , which we used and were pleased with. The morning breakfast included in the price, was surpisingly large; with many hot and cold selections. All which we ate, was indeed very good. A nice value indeed.(and across from the outlet mall , which was very convenient for sure!)
We have stayed at this location every time we visit Grove City - always enjoyed our stay - the staff is friendly & helpful. Rooms are more than adequate & the location is excellent in relation to the Prime Outlets.
We had booked this hotel in advance and when we arrived we were told we were getting an upgrade to a whirlpool room. After a long day of travelling a nice hot soak in a whirlpool tub was much appreciated. The staff at this hotel was very welcoming and the breakfast was better than expected. We will stay here again.
After travelling a long day as snowbirds we stopped at this motel and were to D there was no vacancies. This was fine but when asked about other motels she said they were all filled too! We noticed a Super 8 in the area but when we asked her she said she could not recommend it....no explanation! Shame on Best Western for hiring people who put down competitors......needless to say we went to the Super 8 and were treated great. The place was clean, quiet and friendly! You lose Best Western....we will never stay in one again!
Everything was either very good or excellent. The only problem is there was no elevator, so the first floor is the only option for many travelers. Wifi and computer access was great. The location is especially important since there are two excellent restaurants within walking distance. We stay here every year returning from Florida in the spring and are always very satisfied.
My experience at the Best Western Grove City PA. was a very enjoyable one because of the the attitude of all the personel I came in contact with during my stay. It is obvious the the management of this property is is concerned with long range goals of success and creating long term customer.. The staff has been trained to be respectful as well as very capable regarding there customers. I felt that my business was not only needed but that they cared about my being there. I will be sure to tell my friends about Best Western Grove City, PA.
Very pleased with check in and staff were great. Offered us savings coupons for local restaurant which we used. Right off the highway and walking distance to restaurants. Very clean and reasonably priced. Good value for the money! Keep up the good work!
My wife and I had occasion to stay in this facility on our way home from Florida. It was clean, cozy and conveniently located. The staff were friendly and it was very close to shopping and restaurants.
Overall good internet and indoor swimming pool. Probably the best priced in the area. Excellent parking with restaurants close by. I would recommend for the very cost conscious and its just across the road from Grove City Outlet mall which was our main reason for travelling to Grove City. Breakfast could definitely be better and the rooms felt small.
Staff were great, location was great. Beds and linens need replacing. Sauna was out of order. Pool towels were very small (useless). Breakfast was very congested in a room that was too small to accommodate the clientelle. I would not return.
Let me start this with I am not normally a fan of Best Western Hotels. However, this location may have changed my opinion on chain hotels. The location is easy to get to off of Route 80, the outlets are across the street and Pittsburgh is down the road a bit. The staff was friendly, the room very clean and the pool looked nice, I did not have time to utilize it nor the breakfast but it's an option. If you are going to the area, I would recommend this hotel with no hesitation.
Hot tub and workout facility out of order. Bathrooms WAY too small. Coffee pot in room leaked everywhere. Rooms had funny odor and extremely dry air. Pool ceiling needed professional work done. Hard beds and tiny pillows.
Very clean and well managed hotel..centrally located near outlet mall which is right across the street. Pool area has decent sized pool and hot tub. Was slightly disappointed that the sauna was closed during our visit. Dining area has coffee, tea, and hot chocolate all day. Breakfast offerings were plenty and included yoguts and fresh fruits. My only quarrel was the fitness center was very small and clearly outdated which was disappointing. Other than that, it was a very nice place to stay and I will visit again during my stays in Grove City.
Nice hotel. It has a nice pool, hot tub and sauna. The real reason I come back every few weeks is because of the staff. Great people and have gone above and beyond for some of the elderly people who have stayed here. Always clean and always friendly. I'll be back again.
We were very pleased with this hotel. It was very clean when entering the lobby area and the front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The bed could have been more comfortable but for one night it was fine. We would stay here again.
the staff are friendly and helpful. the location is very good right off the highway with easy access on and off the highway. The hot tub is nice as well as the pool area which is inside. The rooms are very comfortable and roomy.
This hotel provides a great value. The staff provides outstanding service. The rooms are very clean. The facility is centrally located to great shopping and restaurants. It has easy access to interstate 79.
clean and comfortable. not a large room for a king but then we weren't there for the room. very handy to the outlet mall and central to several shopping zones. seemed quite safe, kings restaurant right next door. breakfast bar ok
We found the facilities very clean and attractive. The breakfast had a wide array of items to choose from and was kept well stocked. The only negative thing was, my husband forgot his razor and when he asked at the desk if they had any, they did not.
I found this Best western to be very nice. Staff were excellent and very helpful. Room was very clean. Would and will definitely stay here again. I traveled with 2 children under 5 and they had a blast in the pool.
Very friendly hotel. Nice indoor pool area. Microwaves and mini frig in room is a nice amenity when traveling with children. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Thought I could get it a little cheaper than I did.
nice hotel for the money. it has a nice pool and the room was just as good as the hampton but cheaper. better pool and breakfast too. my only gripe is the staff. they could find my room with the king bed and pull out sofa. then on check out the girl made me wait ten minutes while she was on the phone. put the call on hold or check me out while using the phone. its called customer service which is all but lost these days.
This is the first time that we stayed at this Best Western hotel. Clean hotel room and friendly staff. They have good hot breakfast selections. Since we are here to shop at the Grove City outlet mall, this hotel is the perfect location which is just opposite to the outlet mall.
The hotel is in a very convenient location, directly across the street from Grove City Premium Outlets and a few miles from downtown Grove City. My room was clean, save for what looked like a footprint on the bed cover, but the decor was from about 1982. I didn't use the wifi so I can't rate how good it is. The "amenities" provided for the shower consisted of a small bar of soap, a second, even smaller soap at the sink area, and an extremely small bottle of Pantene. Take your own toiletries.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was quiet and clean. Bathroom was small and could use a few updates. Bed could use better pillows. Breakfast area was nice with a good selection. We will stay here next year when we come for a shopping trip
Run by people who know what travelers want and enjoy providing it. The lobby is spotless and uncluttered, the counter staff polite and helpful. On the way to your room you notice the hallways and carpets are clean and fresh. The room itself could not be better. It is spotless as well, contains all you need and has a good bed with crisp sheets. If asked to list three things to improve this place I wouldn't be able to. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
Although this was our first time staying at a Best Western,,, it will not be our last. Everyone was helpfull, the whole hotel was clean, the pool was nice and breakfast was nice. I will stay at a Best Western when I travel.
This is the best place to stay when shopping at the outlets. It is conveinent, clean and a great hot tub and pool. The breakfast was great with a wonderful variety! I thought the rooms are a nice size.
Stay at this Best Western whenever in the Grove City Area. Always a pleasant stay. Good rates, nice rooms, quiet and very capable and friendly staff. Across the street from the Grove City Outlets and near several good restaurants. Only negative would be the size of the breakfast area is a bit small due to the building design, but the breakfast itself was very good.
Stayed here when returning from East Coast. Clean rooms,, well maintained property, price of room with AAA discount before taxes was about $89.00. At 100 AM night person was very pleasant. Will definitely stay and recommend this hotel.
I was home for the holidays, but not enough room at the inn (so to speak!). We stayed here as it was directly across from the Grove City Outlet shops and the room was very clean, and extremely spacious. Might have been the largest king room I have ever been in! .....however, the decor (while clean) was a 1970's brown and orange blah! What was upsetting was the firmness of the mattress and our inability to sleep on it. I may have been better off putting the pillows on the floor and sleeping there.
one of the best places to stay I stay here every time I go to grove city It is the most convienient place very clean easy to locate and the entrance is easy in-out very close to restraunts and shopping
According to the ratings this hotel was rated fairly high. So I didn't mind paying the high rate $$$. It wasn't worth the rate they charged.. that's for sure. The hotel is in need of some upgrades/ updates. The heater/fan made noise all night. I can't tell you if the second floor is any quieter but we were on the main level and there was constant noise from the hall way. So if your looking for a good nights sleep.. This is definitely not the place. If your wondering what I paid for one night it is over $130. Definitely not worth the money. Which is why my rating is low
Kids + Pool = Fun! Well not here!!! We were told, quite rudely, by the night manager that our kids were too loud, in regards to the guests staying in the three rooms above the pool area. The pool was open until 10pm. If you don't want noise, close the pool earlier? When we mentioned the incident to the front desk manager at checkout - all I can say is that we were in complete SHOCK by her unprofessionalism and complete lack of respect toward us. We will NEVER stay at this place again.
We stayed for one night while shopping at the outlets. VERY comfortable beds! Kind, helpful staff at front desk and breakfast area. Nice pool and hot tub. Bathroom a bit small but very clean. Room well appointed for the price. Would definitely return!
This hotel is slightly older but has many amazing attributes. The executive king room is a wonderful space with a balcony that overlooks the pool. The rooms are very clean and the staff if the best around. They always make you feel welcome and do their best to accommodate your needs. Holly and Debbie are two of the best people you could ask for. I've stayed in a lot of hotels around the Pittsburgh region but this one is fast becoming my favorite.
Great motel. Easy to get to. The pool is outstanding. A 5 star outlet mall directly across from the motel offers great savings. The motel has very nice rooms and an adequate to good breakfast. Careful when using the bathroom as elbows can routinely hit the paper holder. Coupon users make sure the staff is aware that copies of travel coupons from website like travelcoupons.com ARE accepted. Mine wasn't and it cost me an additional $10.00. Otherwise a nice stay for the coupon price.
A group of women stayed at the Best Western in Grove City, Nov. 8-9 2015. Hotel was clean. Room was great. Had breakfast at hotel and found it to be very good. Would recommend that hotel. Hotel was across the street for Premium Outlets. Reason for our trip was that we all go Christmas shopping together and stay overnight. First time we stayed at that Best Western and we will be going back there next year.
Everything others have said was true EXCEPT that 1.) my hair dryer didn't work; and 2.) the desk chair couldn't be adjusted upward. Maybe they didn't know so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. The motel is in an ideal location if you're visiting the outlet mall. I arrived early and was told I couldn't check in until after 3 because they had been full the night before and 2 housekeepers hadn't show up, so they were late getting rooms ready. I went to the mall and came back at three...room was ready, but they were still working in that hall. Room was surprisingly quiet. Comfortable bed. Restaurants within easy walking distance. No real problems other than the dryer and chair. When I sat in the chair, it immediately sank to its lowest level and couldn't be locked in a higher position...and no, I don't weigh 300 pounds! O.K. for an overnight stay in an area of PA where there aren't many towns with motels/hotels.
We stopped overnite to rest before resuming our travels. Rooms were clean, beds comfortable and restaurants were good and easily accessed. In hotel breakfast was very good. Hotle has has a "No Pets" policy.
Stayed at this property several times in the past 2 years. Always clean, well maintained, and helpful staff. Good value - especially compared to pricing at other properties! Deb Scott is responsive to concerns and handles them promptly.
For those of you reading this post - you will need to refer back to my comments from October 2014 AND more importantly the response from the manager at this hotel. While I didn`t notice her response until late September this year, I did what she asked me to do and that was to call her. I was told by whomever it was that answered the phone that she was away for the day with meetings. I waited 2 days and emailed this location as well as their customer service site to say that she had not yet responded. 2 days later - she responded with "First - I was not ignoring you". Wrong way to start a conversation with a client. The initial comments I made were about their increasing prices which quickly became secondary to the numerous emails from the manager and customer service and STILL no return call. STILL can't get through to either of them that you do not ask someone to call you (and I did) and then respond by email. We cancelled our reservation with this hotel and stayed right next door at The Comfort Inn. Initially I said they had lost a client permanently but with a little thought and the fact that we generally love the Best Western - we will book other locations in the future but NEVER this one again. If management changes - we may give it another shot but for now - The Comfort Inn has our business and is a lovely hotel. As they say - IT TAKES YEARS TO GAIN A CLIENT / CUSTOMER AND ONLY ONE BAD EXPERIENCE TO LOSE THEM FOREVER. To Debbie S. - manager of The Best Western: I don't expect a response nor do I want one.
The staff was very courteous and helpful during our two night stay the beginning of October. We were visiting our daughter at the Bradford campus of the UofP for parents' weekend and the hotels closer to campus were full. Wishing to shop at the Outlet Mall anyway, we chose Best Western based upon their good reputation. Everything was great except that the housekeeper didn't double check which towels and cloths had been used and re-folded and packaged a washcloth that I has soiled with powdered makeup that morning. I recommended that management do some supervising of the cleaning staff so that this doesn't happen again. If I had been a new guest just entering the room and found that, I would have been suspicious of the cleanliness of the rest of the room, too.
If you want to be close to shopping in Grove City and you want an amazing place to stay, you HAVE to stay at the Best Western. The staff is pleasant and accomodating, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the breakfasts are great and the pool area is always clean as well. We keep coming back year after year!
From a lumpy and thin mattress to too much furniture to a bathroom that you can barely get a wheel chair in, this was a horrible property. The staff attitude when this was pointed out was uncaring. Probably the WORST of the hotels we stayed at in our travels. And, the most expensive...
Imagine being stranded 300 miles away from home due to a car breakdown on a Sunday night with limited funds and no place to stay. Stressful is the one word that I would use to characterize this situation. The folks at Best Western went out of their way in every way imaginable to make our very unexpected stay as comfortable as possible. I am looking forward to my next stay at a Best Western property. Thank you!
I haven't stayed in a Best Western in a long time. I found this one online for a trip my bestie and I were taking in September to the Grove City Outlets. The hotel is in a very prime location, just across the street pretty much to the outlets. Although there is a main highway that runs in front of it, it was very quiet in our room. I would say the furnishings could use some updating, but the linens were clean and the bedding was comfortable. Pillows were great too and the towels were aplenty and very good. The spa and pool area were spotless and the staff was just perfect. I teach customer service and they really are wonderful! We missed the breakfast but from what I could see there was a hot breakfast and not just Danish and yogurt. The price was reasonable for the area and there were also lots of eateries close to the hotel. Don't pass this one, take advantage of the amenities and the customer service.
