Best Western Plus Hotel South Edmonton Inn & Suites, Edmonton

The carpet had water damage with a buckle that ran the entire length of the room that posed a significant tripping hazard. Carpet had significant stains on it and appeared filthy. The bathroom had finger print smears of an unknown substance over the vanity facing and the bathroom door. Bath door had a fleck of food or a booger on it of some type amid the smears. Blow dryer did not work. Face of phone was dirty. Staff provided an email to notify the manager. Never looked at the room or offered any type of compensation. Also spoke in a different language right in front of us while "taking" our complaint. NEVER AGAIN.

Booked for the double points deal. After three verifications from three different staff members that the points were on my account, in the end, the are not. If you ask for a pullout couch, prepare for a sore back with the mattress horrible with the springs jamming up your back. They did give us an extra blanket to soften the pain, but not much help.

It was a very pleasant stay. The experience was representative of BW quality and standards and at a value price. Room was clean and comfortable. The pool was nice which is important for our leisure travel experience. The breakfast experience was what we anticipated. The staff encounters were all exceptionally pleasant and professional.

Great service easy helpful check in, Room was clean and well-kept very quiet The heavy curtains made it easy to fall sleep Complementary breakfast started a little too late for me But there was a 24 hour McDonald's close by I grabbed a coffee and a breakfast sandwich there and after the airportbut all in all it was great experience thanks

I was surprised at how quiet the room/building was, being so close to a major highway. It was easy to be restful and comfortable. The value was excellent. It was easy to get to and was close to the amenities I needed. Would definitely stay again. and recommend to to others.

The various positives at this location from the staffs to the big breakfast. Cleanliness & parking space needs improvement. Better interior decorations in the room will make the room more appealing. :)

We were definetly a little dissapointed with my stay at the Best Western Plus in Edmonton South. I have stayed with the hotel chain in the past and usually it has been pretty good! This stay seemed to be a little different. 1. For starters when I climbed into bed and was talking to my friend who I was traveling with I noticed that there was two dots of blood on the top sheet. It was dry but you could tell that it had not been washed as it was not faded at all. I find this pretty unsanitary and shows that the bedding is not always changed out or checked. (Do have pictures it is small but kinda gross) 2. When I called Best Western to book they gave me the price and when I asked if there was a government rate he said no at first. Then changed his mind and said yes we do have a rate for government workers. I asked what it was and he responded by saying no we can't give it to you and it's not available now. Just say no from the start then. 3. We got in late but had time to go to the pool! We tool our room towels down to the pool. There were pool towels at the pool but they were all gone. When we left the pool we had asked if they by chance had any more pool towels and they said no. So we asked if we could have a couple regular room towels and they said no again. We showered and dried off with hand towels. 4. There were vending machines on all floors and for the most part were mostly all sold out and the bill readers or card readers did not work. We just found the staff not to be be friendly no smiles, just cold from the very start. I have never written a review on anything before but just was very dossapointed.

Sadly this was not the standard we are use to from Best Western Plus. Even though disappointed in this particular location we will continue to use BWP. One bad experience will not deter us from using BWP. We used our points for this stay.

Good Day, We stayed at your establishment from October 7th - 10th and are very unsatisfied with the level of service that was provided. We brought our concerns to the hotel manager and he was unable to adequately rectify our complaint. After our first night we decided to keep and re-use our towels to save energy. After our second night stay, we left our room at approximately 9:15am and we had noted 10mins earlier the housekeeping staff was on our floor and we told them we were leaving our room in 10mins and they acknowledged us. We then left at 9:15am and we're gone for the day returning at approximately 3pm. On our return our room had not been serviced at all. I called the front desk and was told they were short staffed and short on towels and would get to our room as soon as they could. I asked them for a specific time as my kids wanted a short nap and then to go use the pool. They kept saying as soon as they could. I kept pressing and was finally told 20mins. An hour went by and it was now 4pm with still no attendance. My husband went to the front desk asking for towels. He was given towels that were still damp and when he asked about it they said they were having issues with the dryer. At about just before 5 finally housekeeping knocked on our door saying we asked for service. I said at that point we were all In the room so not sure what they could do at that point. We then told them to at least dump the garbages and restock the toilet paper and then they left. When I complained To the manager the following morning at check out he apologized and said he could give us 6000 points and a percentage off our next stay. I advised we wouldn't be coming back to this specific hotel and he said that's the best he could do to rectify the situation. This is unacceptable. This is the hospitality industry and we felt the hotel was very inhospitable and lacked customer service. 6000 points was an insult as it barely equals out to anything. I will await your response before doing a google review as well as a YouTube review.

Hotel was ok, clean. Supplies were limited. Pool had no towels for at least 2 hours, and was busy. Went to front desk to request towels, was told not only were there no pool towels but they were also out of room towels. Went back to room, cold and wet. In our room, booked for 4 people, there were 2 towels. Phoned desk, was told towels were in dryer and would be delivered soon. Waited more than two hours, no towels. We don't know if this was due to staff shortages but if it is, consider booking so guest's basic needs are met.

Hotel is showing signs of wear that aren't being maintained. Staff were not available when tried to complain about room issues. Didn't get any sleep. Traffic noise too loud. AC fan not working. Bathroom door latch sticky and kept getting locked in bathroom so couldn't close door. Toilet running every 15 minutes all njght- no AC/fan to drown out noise. Blood on lobby floor when we arrived. Room not clean. Granddaughter got sick on our vehicle an hour or so after eating eggs at the complimentary breakfast. Customer service reps couldn't be found at checkout to report issues- had a basket on counter with sign reading leave key card on basket... That's not customer service!!!!

The hot tub was down. The pool is smaller then the pictures show. The breakfast was not good. They don't have extra pillows in the rooms for the hide a bed use. The bathroom door handle was broken so if you shut the door you got stuck in the bathroom.

Drain in the shower was plugged and while showering someone else's hair pooled at my feet. Only one roll of toilet paper and the carpet was gross. The room smelled gross. There was damage marks on the walls and it just felt and looked trashy. For what should be a business class room it felt and smelled more like a trailer park trash room.

Staff Banged on my door and used their keys to open the door. Didn't call for anything as we're sleeping. Ac not cooling and noisy.werent informed hot tub is out of service.they automatically enroll for membership without your approval.

This is an awesome place to stay. For one HOT BREAKFAST. Bagged breakfast just doesn't cut it. Fantastic staff, front desk and cleaning staff and the breakfast lady was awesome. This hotel was so easy to find.

Hotel is close to main roadways so it makes getting to any part of the city relatively easy as well as for any day trips south of the city. So long as your room is far away from the pool area the noise levels are good. Kids running around, slamming doors and loud talking can be annoying if you are trying to sleep. To be expected in a family friendly hotel with a pool.

Management and staff accused me falsely of breaking a tv and charged the cost to my credit card without contacting me. They said something about pictures taken but my opinion is they forged them. Based in this, everyone at the moment of checking out had to take pictures of the room, because the manager showed bad attitude, borderline with illegal

Have stayed here in the past and will stay here again. The hotel is starting to show its age but staff keeps up well. Parking always seems to be a problem out front, had to park around side. Did notice window glass on the ground so be careful. This could happen anywhere though.

Pool was health regulation dirty, people had there names scratched in the scum, tiles falling off wall, water a weird color, hot tub not hot. It was the reason for getting the room and couldn't use it at all for fear of health. I would have gotten a cheap motel if I knew I had to wear shoes in my room as carpets were beyond gross. Nice staff, but the compliments end there.

It's in an area not busy at all and close to everything you need but sometimes those vending machines won't work or just take your money so don't try the vending machines. But other than that the pool was awesome and breakfast is great as well

I have used a lot of hotel recently due to my job, and I haven't come to find a better place price for value. And usually you will find it almost everywhere. They have one of the best rewards policies where your point never expires

Our room wasn't very clean. They need to pay more attention to detail ie) Ensure there's no permanent stains on bedding, clean mattresses and pullout couch of debris and hairs, wipe off old finger prints from bathroom door, clean or replace carpet, or get rid of carpet all together. It grossed me out. The room was beat up and in need of some tlc. There was unsightly damage on the walls, toilet, sink, and bath tub. I've stayed at best westerns in the past and this one did not meet my expectations for cleanliness and upkeep. The pool and water slide were fairly clean and fun, but the water slide does need some esthetic damage repairs, as is the trend at this hotel.

Hotel is run down for its age. Pillows are cheap. Toilet ran all night, ended up turning it off. Frequent smell of pot smoke. Water slides shut off half hour before pool closed with no warning. Breakfast was subpar.

Someone had shot a picture with a pellet gun, and the pellet was still in the broken picture. There was suspected mold in the bathroom and shower. And the towel rack in the bathroom fell off. And we only had one key out of four that worked. Oh yeah and the elevator was malfunctioning.

If the mystery stain in the middle of the carpet doesn't call you in maybe the flickering bathroom light will do it for you! No? Maybe you'll be enticed to stay due to the cool 10 degree air blowing through the room and if that doesn't do it I know exactly what will seal the deal. A toilet that runs every few minutes all night long! Wow!! What a deal.

We stayed at this hotel because we had an early Dr. Appt. Because the Pope was in town and a lot of streets had closures we could take a route that didn't involve his travels. Check in was done smoothly even though they were very busy. We asked for a wake up call which we never received .

There were multiple stains on the carpet, a spider web in the corner by a lamp, the tv remote didn't work, and when the staff brought us a new one, that didn't work either. We were told our room would be near an exterior exit, twice, and when we got there to check in, it wasn't. Terrible. Would not recommend.

Best westerns are pretty standard…but this one is not. It's very run down. Your key cards expire daily (so if you've got a stay over two nights, you can expect to wait in line behind people checking in to get your keys reset. You won't get any towels for the pool or your room. When you go to the pool, you'll also need to wait in line to get a towel( at the front desk behind people checking in/out) that's the size of a face cloth (same as your room towels). The pool has so much chlorine that if you are sitting on the sidelines watching your kids play that your eyes hurt. No ventilation. Breakfast ends at 9:30 and is PACKED. The rooms smell like an ashtray. Since having kids my standards have changed for hotels…but this water slide just is not worth it. Also no one picks up the phones…from your room or external. We couldn't change our reservation with an agent and couldn't call for more towels. Front desk doesn't answer and anything you need…you'll have to go in person to the front desk. Which is one agent. Very nice and friendly staff…doing their best but the building and what they are provided with to give to their guest isn't acceptable.

Arrival: Check-in was easy. Staff greet you with a smile and help you with checking in and directing you to where your room is. They have the standard toiletries in case you may have forgotten something behind. Room: Upon entering the room, it had a very comfortable look and energy. It was well lit and “appeared” very clean. The beds were quite comfortable, and the sheets were very clean (something I check intensely) The room was perfect for holding my small meeting. Everyone was comfortable. Cleanliness: The sleeping area was quite clean, no complaints there. However... The Bathroom – I was quite disgusted with the total lack of neglect regarding the cleanliness of the bathroom. As you can see from the pictures, there were remnants of something on the bathroom wall. I don't wear make-up, so I knew I didn't put it there. The most alarming thing was the black mold in the shower (see pictures). Now having showered prior to noticing it, I wanted to shower once I got home again. Maintenance: A huge safety concern was the neglect of maintenance. The biggest one was directly behind the bed was an electrical receptacle, the was so loose I was afraid to plug my CPAP machine into it. I was worried about causing a spark inside the box, and it being 3inches from the bed, igniting a deadly fire. I slept maybe 3hrs that night in case I had to bolt from the room. In the bathroom, I noticed the shower rod had come loose. It could have come off easily in a matter of time. As I was exiting the bathroom, I thought the bathroom handle was going to come off in my hand (see picture) Check-out: Check out was easy. Just before I was leaving, the gentleman at the front desk said he was the Manager and so I expressed my concerns regarding the Safety (loose electrical receptacle, black mold in the shower), lack of maintenance (shower rod, bathroom doorknob coming off), and the complete lack of cleanliness in the bathroom. Upon leaving he said that he would look after my concerns, whether he did, I have no idea. I just pray they did as not to put other guests in a safety situation. All-in-all, I could not recommend to anyone to stay at this hotel. Good place to stay in Edmonton Canada for good price. Friendly stay and very nice people. Enjoyed our stay. Could be a bit better breakfast but still not bad for the cost. Would stay there again next time in Edmonton

Hotel is located just off the QEII highway in Edmonton. It is an easy access. They have friendly staff, great continental breakfast, clean rooms, comfy beds. We will be staying here again in the future.

Not cleaned well, halls and common areas run down, banged up and scuffed, much of common areas had dirty carpets, dust and debris in corners. Cleaners took away dirty towels but did not replace them. We had to check out by 6am to catch a flight so did not have time to go looking for someone to get us towels. Chose to leave without showering. Disappointing breakfast, very basic and poor selection. Rooms were a little cleaner, but nothing like the pictures. And at over $200 a night we would advise to stay elsewhere.

Our stay was good check In was VERY SLOW. Torn sheets and blankets on one bed in our room water pressure very low pop machine on 4th floor takes money and don't give you product DO NOT USE cab company phone in lobby the are rude ignorant and the drivers smell really bad.

It was a very nice places to stay, Has a nice pool area and not a bad breakfast. Bed is a little soft. Would stay here again. Area is good not far from everything on the southside. Around a few places to eat.

Hotel over books teams, which makes utilizing the pool impossible. Showers in the rooms have little water pressure that sprays everywhere. Even the carpet in my room was coming off the floor with a huge ripple spanning across the room. Hotel is in desperate need of updates to be worth the rate they are charging.

We enjoyed our stay at the Best Western Plus South Edmonton Inn and Suites. All the front counter staff were friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. They were able to answer any inquiries we had with well-informed answers. The breakfast was well-stocked and had good variety and quality. Such good value for our family. The breakfast staff was quick and efficient and ensure all tables were sanitized as each group of guest left the dining room. Our family enjoyed the pool and slide area. The room was clean and well-prepared as we arrived.

Fantastic breakfast - hot boiled eggs which I have never seen in any other chain hotels. Room clean, bed and linens comfortable. Comfortable reading chair. Front desk staff very accommodating. We travel a great deal and have stayed in multiple hotel chains. Overall, a great stay.

My kids were excited for the pool and water slide but we found the pool to be really cold, they did enjoy the water slide but didn't stay too long. Because of this we wouldn't stay here again, we like to book a hotel with a pool because my kids love it but it was just way too cold. Our room was outdated, the bathroom door didn't latch closed and the water tap constantly dripped. We booked a two queen room but I dont think the beds were a true queen. The elevators were very dirty. I had to use the laundry room and my key card didn't work to enter the laundry room so I had to ask front desk to let me in, she seemed annoyed. Breakfast was alright, would have been nice to have an extra waffle maker as lots of people wanted to use it and there was usually a line. Next time we would stay somewhere else.

Hence the water temperature was slightly colder for a couple of hours. We will be considering your comments to improve our condition and service moving forward.

We stayed here for a weekend getaway, the pool smelled like rotten feet and left a horrible odour on our skin, there were NO towels to be used and I mean NONE - our room was not cleaned only our beds were partially made and we had ZERO towels in our room as well, when brought to staffs attention they were uncaring and told us too bad basically. The food service was ok for the breakfast. Stay somewhere else if you want a clean room and helpful caring staff and to actually be able to shower let alone get the stink from their filthy pool off of you and then DRY off with a towel. Also, beds are horribly uncomfortable with ripped sheets

Not clean, 4 year old injected someone else's pills he found called poison control, leaking toilet not fixed when we told them… no sleep because I had to wake him every 1/2 hr…he slep so much that day. They just said sorry and said they couldn't do anything. But poison control said for me to let them know their cleaning staff needed to be more vigilant.

We stayed at this hotel as a family of four on a recent stopover in Edmonton. It is certainly a good option for people with young families. The hotel staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. The property is very clean and well maintained. The rooms are slightly aged in terms of set up (traditional bathrooms, difficult electrical outlets access etc) with your traditional hotel room set up. The beds are very comfortable and room more than acceptable. There is an excellent breakfast areas with lots of space and options including Hope breakfast. The pool area is certainly adequate with a 3 story water slide. The pools is smaller than one would believe froM the website pics and becomes crowded quite quickly. But my kids (age 7 and 10) certainly had no complaints and we had to drag them out. This is a busy property especially for families. So don't expect a quiet to relaxing atmosphere. This hotel does a very good job in catering to the family demographic at certainly a reasonable price. For those looking for exactly that, I would not hesitate to recommend

This is a great family hotel. Spacious, clean rooms, pool and water slide for kids and lots of breakfast options. The staff are extremely friendly and very helpful. The only thing was there wasn't a hair dryer in my room (I honestly didn't check this before we booked it- I just assumed every hotel has them) but the housekeeper found me one. Front desk staff were great and very accommodating. Overall it was a great experience and for the price i was very satisfied.

This Hotel is a very well located to the QE2 on the south of Edmonton, we used a King suite and enjoyed the extra room. clean room and comfortable bed made our 2 day trip to Edmonton to visit family enjoyable. the breakfast buffet was good and fresh, even though it was very busy and a little crowded.

We had a comfortable stay at Best Western Plus South Edmonton. Thanks to Jay for accommodating our request to move to another room as we were 3 adults and sharing a queen size bed was difficult. Breakfast options were many including hot cheese omelet and waffles. Location is central close to highways and restaurants.

Great place to stay with kids. Pool with slide was great. Most important beds and pillows were very comfortable. The sheets on bed showing age. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Check in and Check out very fast. Free Breakfast buffet with stay was nice for families but the food was just ok. If travelling with kids or for a night of fun would stay again.

Took the opportunity to have a family staycation and selected this Best Western location due to the amenities of the pool (with slide) and hot tub as well as the great selection of hot and cold breakfast options. It was a wonderful diversion from the everyday and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a change of venue.

Dirty, Broken Toilet Seat, Toilet Tank Sweating And Leaking, Heater Broke The Second Night, Shower Was Dirty, Fitness Centre Had Half Machines Not Working Or Sounded Like They Would Break Anytime. Received A $70 Charge For Noise Complaint And Was Not Aware Until Checkout. I Was Only Adult In Room!

This was a great hotel for the price, excellent pool for the family and kids, it could have used a deep scrub of the tiles, however it is quite a busy location but service and breakfast were top notch.

My family stayed at the Best Western Plus in Ft Saskatchewan, AB. Our room was clean, the breakfast was hot fresh and probably the best hotel breakfast Ive ever had. The staff were always pleasant to deal with the guy running the breakfast was awesome. Only downside was it had just snowed and the parking lot wasnt plowed so the parking was chaos. I would definitely stay here again.

This property is in a great location. Easy access to the major roads and close to restaurants and shopping options. Good value for the cost. Would be nice if when they renovate that they opt to change to walk-in showers rather than tubs and shower curtains.

There were so many issues. Wine left in the desk and coverlet, a shower curtain that didn't reach the tub, and someone's homemade pipe left at the foot of the bed. The pool was in moderate disrepair as well. Go elsewhere.

Overall the stay was okay. The sticky carpet in our room deterred me quite a bit. And the lack of towels and pillows in the room wasn't great. Even after we requested more in our check in process. Will stay again for location convenience.

Took our grand children for a overnight stay and had a wonderful time pool was great . Ordered Pizza in for supper and played some games and back to the pool. Had breakfast in the morning and it was great lots of selection. Back to the pool before check out. Thanks again for the wonderful experience.

Extremely poor service infact no room service at all.The guest has to take the drinking water from reception which is a complete non sense thing.Not at all recommended for families.The heat was not working in the room as there was no technician to see the problem,so had to change the room.In nutshell,Dont waste your precious time staying here as staff don't bother about the service & hospitality.

It is rare for mechanical breakdown and in any case if it happens, we accommodate our guests to another room which we did. Since we are a limited service hotel, for your convenience we have bottled water in our vending machines in the floors. We hope you will give us another opportunity to better serve you.

Room are dark and dingy and very humid. Lighting was terrible and windows were steamed and runnning with water. We booked a room with 2 queen beds….but they were double beds. Room was clean. Pool was decent and had a water slide. Wouldn't likely stay here again.

The bed broke and collaped on the floor. The thermostat was busted and doom was freezing and the toilet was sweating and leaking all over the place. Crappy cable channels. No smart TV here - no ppv movies either.

Our maintenance noticed that the Thermostat was working, the room temperature was extremely warm. The toilet tank had a little bit of condensation because the exhaust fan was not turned on during shower use.

This Hotel has again failed to meet minimum standards expected for customer service, cleanliness, working order of items in the room. Clear that the hotel does not attend to supporting staff in understanding the importance of clients' needs and customer service - below standard approaches were evident in almost all service lines that support a quality hotel operation. Examples: visible soiled items in bathroom, black mold in shower, sink did not drain properly, toilet seat loose to point of unusable, special request not fulfilled, failure to respect privacy when do not disturb sign on door, and more... Book with care.

The front desk staff was extremely kind and accommodating, she left the water slid open for 2-3 extra minutes so my daughter could get a couple slides in before bed. Where to start..... To start off with there is not enough parking or vehicle plug ins for hotel guests. I had to park a country mile away in -35. No COVID protocols in the pool or dinning area. It was overrun with people. Pool deck was filthy. Checked in on Monday afternoon, no hot water. Didn't get hot water until late Tuesday. Even then it wasn't enough for two showers. When I booked I mentioned there were 3 people staying in the room. We discovered there were only two towels, so when I went to ask the front desk for a 3rd towel they informed me they didn't have any left. I'm not sure how that happens? You're in the hospitality business you should never run out of linens. Didn't matter I guess because we didn't have hot water anyway. The room wasn't very clean with mold in the shower, bathroom floor dirty, stained mattress. The phones in the room didn't work, and the toilet ran randomly through the night. All in all, it was an unpleasant stay and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Stay at the Sandman next door you'll have to park there anyway!

Worst Hotel, mold or dirt all over the bathroom walls & ceilings, sink also had brown substance all over the drain. There was no hot water in the shower or sink faucet! I asked for extra towels didn't get any, didn't clean my room the entire time I was there, front desk was no help. Hair on the bathroom floors before we even used them! Front desk was rude when we first entered, security is also terrible, another friend was staying in the hotel and lost her key, we asked for one for her room, without an ask for ID or call to her, they gave it to us.

Do not stay here. Save yourself the trouble. The heater in our room did not work and we had no heat in the room. There was no heat in the hallways, it felt cold as it was -20 degrees Celsius outside. The shower and bath only had cold water. The tub drained slowly. The sheets were dirty with stains. The room smelled. The beds were horrible! Gave all of us a sore back in the morning even my 11 year old child. The pool and hot tub were cold. There were no covid protocols in place in the dining area such as hand sanitizer, wiping down tables and high touch surface areas, social distancing, or limiting the number of guests dining. I never once seen anyone disinfecting any common areas in the hotel. There was always garbage in the hallway across from the elevator. Oh and when we checked in they gave us the wrong type of hotel room. Tried to give us one king sized bed and wanted our kids to sleep on a cot. We were not impressed and really should have asked for a refund!!!! I don't think it is too much to ask for a clean hotel with basic amenities as advertised. Multiple guests complained about the same issues and nothing was done to address them. Do your family a favour and stay somewhere else.

Spent 3 nights. Room was okay. Probably close to needing a renovation as furniture and bathroom fixtures were old. Breakfast was included but did not feel comfortable attending as the room was very small and tight with no opportunity to distance oneself. The price I paid was good and included a $20 BW gift card for each night. Location was perfect to go shopping at the Commons.

I phoned down to the front desk for an extra blanket and if you can believe it, they don't have any. Really, this is a fairly large Hotel and they don't have an extra blanket????? There are plenty of empty parking spots in the parking lot so maybe there are a few vacant rooms that you could get a blanket from if you don't have any other extras.

So-So could have been worse. Excellent location for my purposes. Deently maintained in regards to cleanliness. The bed sucked and was like someone threw a bedsheet over a pile of hay. If I tried to roll over on the bed while sleeping there was already a depression from my current position and when I rolled over it felt like I was rolling back into the previous depression. Pillows also uncomfortable.

Jay at the front desk answered all my questions prior to the booking and was helpful in quickly coordinating the 3 rooms for me. He also was accommodating in my request for a small meeting room for dinner and cake for my small group in the evening. The meeting space was perfect and helped to ensure my daughter had a great birthday at the hotel. Jay was kind and very helpful...I feel he went above and beyond to make our stay and experience as good as possible. 5 Star Service...thank you!

Staff was not informed of covid protocols. Check in staff said one thing and other staff me never did the opposite! The breakfast was disgusting! I wouldn't even serve it to inmates in prison! Cleaning staff came in my room when I went to down for breakfast and assumed I had left. She had already taken my charger and headphones and emptied the room by the time I came back! Horrified!

we (three ladies) wanted an Edmonton get away shopping trip. Our hotel is important to us; we wanted a suite. We were pleased with the location, easy to get to off the highway. The front desk service was friendly and check in and out was quick. The decor could use an update, quite drab and a rip in curtains. Parking was good, restaurant close by for dinner didn't need to drive. South Common was 2 minutes away for shopping and Ikea 3 minutes away. Quick and easy!!!

Our family of 6 stayed here for two nights. Clean rooms/beds, but the beds were too soft, we woke up with pressure point pains. The curtains weren't blackout curtains which made for a horrible night sleep. The location isn't great, as there was a lot of traffic noise coming from the highway. The breakfast was a buffet with a lot of delicious options, but no waffles. The pool was warm, and the kids enjoyed the slide. If you aren't a sensitive sleeper, I would recommend this hotel.

Overall it was a good stay but don't have any crazy expectations and you won't be disappointed. We were celebrating 16 years together and booked the Jacuzzi suite. It is a very basic, plain and simple hotel. We found it to need some serious updating, the room, furniture, carpet, wallpaper, and everything is very outdated. No USB plug ins, the tv is basic cable so you can't watch Netflix. They advertise that it's very clean but we honestly didn't find it that way. The bathtub and toilets are really low to the ground which we didn't find a problem with but we had a good chuckle over. The bed, sheets & pillows were very comfortable. That was probably the highlight, the bed felt like a cloud. For the price we paid for our room we would go back but I wouldn't pay anymore than that. The breakfast is okay, nothing special.

We were very disappointed in our stay at this Best Western. Our first impression was the hotel was not very clean, NOT what we expected from a Best Western with a 4.5 rating on Tripadvisor. Our room smelled of smoke and the carpets were dirty. We had the pleasure of listening to children racing, thumping down the hallways for over two hours. The last time they made the rounds my husband went out to stop them as did two other families. We all had a chat and spoke to the front desk to put an end to the noise. We will never stay there again.

Checked in on Friday for my wife's volleyball tournament. Get into the room noticed that the bathroom tap was really loose but no big, still working. Took the kids to the pool then went to bed. Saturday, wife is at volleyball all day till 9:30pm i take the kids to West Ed all day and we get back at around 6pm shower and kids spend a few hours on their handhelds (phone and switch), while i do paperwork on the laptop, and then go to bed. Sunday wife finishes up volleyball around 5:00pm while me and the kids go to chuck'e cheese and shopping at south common. We get back around 4:00pm and go swimming then head up to the room. Decided to watch tv for the first time since we checked in, and once i turn on the tv i see that there is a crack on the side of the screen. So i go down to the front desk and tell the receptionist what i found, its the first time ive used the tv since we arrived and you cant see the crack when the tv is off. She says thank you and that she will make a note of it. I go back up to the room and we just watch shows on our handhelds instead. We check out the next morning. Two day later my wife gets a call blaming us for the crack in the tv! She tells them that what i had already told the receptionist and asked if they seen her note. They tell her that they will call us back. Instead of a phone call we get a $525 damage charge on our stay and an email saying that we broke it. My wife then phones the hotel and leaves a msg for the. Manager. He finally calls a day later and doesn't even listen to her over the phone and just keeps saying that they check everything in the room after each guest so it has to be us. Really, then why was there a crack in the tv and a loose tap in the bathroom?! We reported it to you! Why you didn't sent someone to the room to check on the tv after we report it. The crack wasn't visible while the tv was off or i would have reported it the first night we were there! Morale of the story make sure you check all of the amenities in your room as soon as you check in so you dont get charged for someone else damaging the room.

Dear Aireen, Thank you for posting your comments. I had called a day later to ensure with the our department head that the TV was turned on as part of our inspection process. I had diligently explained the process to you. Instead you were in constant denial and had raised your voice at me. It is when I had mentioned that I do not want further get to in to the conversation. As part of the check in process, you have signed and acknowledged the terms and conditions on the damages incurred. For the 3 nights you had stayed with us, it was brought to our notice the night before the check out. We reserve the right to charge the applicable damages as stated in the agreement.

We have had success with the other Best Western location in Leduc in the past but unfortunately it was not available for our stay this time. We assumed that our stay at this location would be similar but it has been massively disappointing. On arrival the employee at the front desk was friendly and apologetic as what we had booked for my mother was not available. Nor would our rooms be side by side as requested - neither were a big deal, we understand the hotel was busy. However not all information was provided to us upon check in. The tags to place on the door to have the room made over are not useful, you must request to have the room made over at the front desk but this was not told to us. Upon finding out it took multiple requests to have someone come to the room. No cleaning was done, fresh towels were dropped off and garbage taken. However no garbage bags were left in the bins, nor was any additional toilet paper left. These had to be requested from the front desk and picked up there. We also booked this location due to the pool. Unfortunately were not told that the pool was out of service, disappointing to find out after promising our toddler we were going. They also did not tell us that we have to bring down the pool card each day to have it deactivated to use the pool - again, not that we could in the end. The continental breakfast is incredibly slow, we sat for 25 minutes before being acknowledged. And at that point menus were provided but we were told we needed to wait additionally to place our order. Including ourselves there were only four people in the dining area. The breakfast is lack lustre, carton eggs and hash browns with far too much paprika, fruit that had not been looked over before being plated. The curtains are short in the rooms which allow for a lot of light to creep in, not ideal for trying to nap toddlers or crawl into bed earlier in the evening if you need or prefer a dark room. There's also a light in the hallway entrance that never goes off, we managed to pull a curtain over it and hold it down with a boot which did help. Overall the hotel is clean but not exceptional otherwise. The staff are nice but largely untrained which unfortunately results in poor service. Hopefully management can attend to required training this location requires when time allows. But we will not stay here again.

I only stay in Best Western Hotels when I travel. When going to Edmonton, I like to stay at the South most location, as it is closer to getting back on highway #2. This location is one of the best. I tried the Cedar Park Inn location, and it was terrible! The service was bad, the room had broken appliances, the customer service was terrible, and the restaurant was highly expensive and had bad service. So, that is why I chose this location, and I come back every time I am in Edmonton.

It was good stay but just little disappointed with water drainage in the tub and pool water is not very clean. The pillows in the room in not very comfortable. But the front desk staff is very friendly

We booked a 2-night stay at this hotel for my daughter's sake because of the pool and the waterslide. I didn't have very high expectations but was pleasantly surprised. The rooms were clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was delicious! It wasn't just your run of the mill Continental breakfast. There were eggs, sausage, and home fries every day. Though the pool is indoors, it is very bright because of all the large windows. And surprisingly you don't get hit with the smell of chlorine when you first enter the hotel which I think is nice.

Wonderful stay. We had a spacious suite on the third floor. The quiet hallways made for a very enjoyable 4 day stay. The air conditioning worked very well for the really hot days that we experienced in Edmonton. Also the pool was great for family time. Thank you

Amazingly comfortable beds and clean room. Our boys love the pool and water slide. The free breakfast is just a bonus! Amazing price! Very happy!!! We will be staying here again our next trip to the city.

This is a nice hotel you are close to the South Common shopping experience and also Leduc has a designer mall now that you are close to. There is also a race track and casino in Leduc now just 10 or 15 minutes away.

Would have been excellent if it had not been for our misfortune to stay at the same time as a lot of kids going to some kind of tournament. Lots of noise and kids running around. The people in the room above us were heavy walkers and did a lot of walking around. Luck of the draw, lol.

Negatives - If you enjoy eating cardboard for breakfast than this is the hotel for you. There was a short black curly hair in our ice bucket after we filled it at the machine; gross. We were told the pool would be extended until 11pm due to chemical imbalance in the am; we didn't rush through our day to get back only to find out they had turned the slide off at 9:45 and would not honour their previous agreement… made for grumpy children which resulted in not so happy parents. Positives - House keeping staff were very friendly and accommodating. We will never stay at this hotel again.

The picture of the rooms in their website is really good but the inside rooms are not that good the carpet looks dirty but I think it's because it's old. Front desk did not call me back like what I requested to cause my eldest son didn't know where he put his phone so ask them to call me back if they see one inside the room after we check out. Play pen/cribI request for they did not call me back as well if it's ready to get it in the front desk..

Very poor ambience, way expensive among the hotels in the same area and of same range. Arrogant front desk one individual lady on duty that evening. Poor internet connectivity, no attendant to address issues. Sink was clogging, no crockery available to use microwave. Lamp was not turning off. bed sheets appeared like just redone, not washed or replaced with new one. No drinking water bottles in the room.

We stayed at the Best Western Plus South Edmonton Inn & Suites in two rooms for two nights. We have stayed at this hotel previously. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. Breakfast was OK - scaled down due to covid. All the staff were great - very friendly and helpful. My granddaughter loved the pool. Would certainly stay here again.

The breakfast was horrible. Most of it was thrown into a microwave. The hash browns were frozen still. The juice tasted very watered down. The sausage was terrible. The toast was the best part but no knives to spread the peanut butter and jam. That's our Only complaint. The staff was very friendly. The hotel looked good.

Lovely first hotel visit post Covid. Clean common areas, pool, rooms and grab and go breakfast. It was my first hotel in 18 months. I was unaware I needed to ask or do more than put door hanger out for daily service in our room. Front staff was accommodating once I understood the drill. Also, I booked 4 nights through Expedia and paid at hotel. My itinerary changed to 3 nights, but I knew that after night #1. Front staff asked me to contact Expedia for them to let hotel management know to credit. It was impossible to contact Expedia. Online help resulted in ‘call agent' and after 1.5 hrs on hold I just stopped trying. I asked the front staff again upon checkout if they could do anything. She was understanding, said she couldn't promise anything, but would talk to her manager. Just got my e-receipt for 3 nights only. Thanks for the extra mile in these weird times! Would definitely stay again with my family!

This is a wonderful hotel with a good location, friendly staff, beautiful/comfortable rooms, waterslide/pool for kids, breakfast included and exceptional housekeeping services. Very economical for a hotel of this quality with these amenities.

Like many others we checked into the hotel with 2 room to get out of the heat and to let our grandkids use the pool. The hotel was full but all of the staff were efficient and check in was quick. I had asked to check in early at 3 rather than 4. I called the hotel directly because we wanted adjoining rooms and asked about early check in at that time. They said they would try and I let them know that we only needed one room early. When we arrived one was ready. The kids changed and off to the pool. The pool was standing room only but it was a chance to cool off and the waterslide was very busy. We were at the pool 3 times and there were no towels on the shelves but a trip to the front desk and we had what we needed. I spoke to the housekeeping staff on our floor and they were all pleasant, We had one room with a king and the other 2 queen sized beds. Everything was clean. this hotel has such easy access to highway 2 and the Anthony Henday. Breakfast was okay. Because it is still Covid time, it was take out and that may have been a good thing because the breakfast room is small. There was little variety but better than many hotels offer at this time.

I love love love this hotel . They have Amazing service , clean , friendly . Also they have a pool, waterslide and hot tub that are open :). It also has free breakfast as well . We will definitely be going back .

Lots of parking. Front desk was friendly. Free breakfast. Beautiful room. Great soaps/cream. Bed was very comfortable. I had a water drainage issue but the staff member went out of her way to ensure the situation was resolved. I would stay here again.

The booking process, including check-in and check-out were very seamless, and easy. The cleanliness of both the entrance, and the suite were great. They returned a ring I forgot the same day I checked out, which was a huge relief to me as the staff called me before I even realized where I lost it. I would have been looking everywhere else. The continental breakfast was amazing, especially considering the fact that it is a pandemic, and you need to maintain a certain level of sanitization and social distancing. I felt the staff truly cared about my safety, and my health and I would recommend this hotel to anyone in south Edmonton looking for a hotel.

This hotel makes you feel like family...no complaints. They do a great job in spite of COVID-19 restrictions. The room was quiet and very comfortable. I visit our son and his family often...pity the pool is closed.

Disappointed for my kiddos.......They would rather let the pool be unoccupied than give you a chance to book a second time slot. We got duped traded our original slot for a measly 20 min in the pool. (Wasn't told that we were forfeiting the original time for the 20 min slot.....then walked by and no one in the pool)

The room was fine but the biggest issues were: - the bed is really saggy - mold in the soaker tub (THE REASON WE BOOKED THE ROOM) - there is no smart tv. Just cable. C'mon. Wanted to watch Netflix, YouTube etc not watch cable.

Stayed at this hotel for 1 night and it was awful. Tried to check in at 4pm. She gave me a keycard and everything was fine. I went up to the room hauling my 3 kids and all our stuff to find the room wasn't even cleaned yet. Go back down and she says there aren't any other rooms. You have to wait. In the hallway. With 3 very excited kids and all our stuff. 1.5 hours!!!! Then, went to book pool times. I had specifically called the hotel twice prior to arrival to verify they still had pool times. They refuse to give any info over the phone and insist you must wait “until you have checked in”. Fine. Well, they only had one half hour time slot left for the next day. That's the whole reason we went to the hotel...to play in the pool. When we got to our time slot there were 4 other families there. Thinking they would leave soon, we got ready. Nope..they stayed. No one ever came to monitor the only “two families in the pool at a time” rule. Meaning we could have gone in at any time during our stay!!! Internet kept dropping our devices and barely worked. And the pull out couch...terribly uncomfortable. We are pretty easy going people. This was unacceptable for a bed! I basically didn't sleep at all that night. Parts of my body kept falling asleep due to pressure points under the mattress. I would never go to this hotel again.

I have reviewed this property previously and been quite happy with it. However, this past visit was far below my expectations. The staff was very friendly and greeted me as I walked into the lobby. I had booked a room for 3 adults and that was clear on the reservation. They supplied me with 2 rooms cards. Once I am all checked in, they inform me that only one of the elevators is functioning. Get to the room....2 bath towels, 2 hand towels, 2 face cloths. Call the front desk to ask for the third set of towels and I am told I will need to go back to the front desk to retrieve these....in a hotel with only 1 working elevator. Bag breakfasts available on the main floor, just down the hall from the pool....in a hotel with only 1 elevator working...Getting the picture??? I am a huge Best Western customer, however it is becoming more apparent that individual hotels are slipping and the name does not always reflect the quality.

I spent the night here while my husband was getting surgery. The friendly accommodating staff (especially a very gracious young woman named Beth) went above and beyond to make my stay as comfortable and happy as possible. Lovely pool and nice take away breakfast made my stay even more enjoyable. Central to everything IKEA etc. Definitely would recommend to others and stay here again

This was my first time staying at this hotel. I was greeted with helpful and friendly staff. The jacuzzi suite was spacious and bed was clean and very comfortable. The breakfast wasn't the best. Cold toast, not fully cooked potatoes. But still edible. My only complaint is that there's no cameras at the back of the building at all (adjacent to Gateway). The back window of my suv was smashed but nothing taken. I contacted the police and apparently 2 other incidents happened at this hotel and nothing could be done. My advice..if you can, park along the side as there is a camera there.

Conveniently located close to the Anthony Henday, this hotel is clean and the staff are friendly. Great value, clean & well maintained and they offer a hot breakfast option while following COVID safely protocols. We stayed for 3 nights over Christmas. Staff was very friendly! The room was very clean and quiet, as was the reception area, the halls and elevators, and the breakfast room. After so long of having only the Grab N Go bags, it was sooooo wonderful to get a hot meal even if we did have to take it to go. Thank you Best Western for incorporating hot food back into your hotel options for your guests!

Hotel is on the south end of edmonton close to the anthony henday and Ellerslie road. the staff was nice. The front desk lady was very new and made a small mistake on the billing. they were very quick too correct it.

Perhaps this is a bit tough considering the ongoing pandemic but I think some of the issues are not excusable, especially in this environment. Pros: - Friendly staff - Being a diamond member got upgraded to a corner room, nice and big - Good location close to amenities Issues: - Spilled coffee on night stand - Hair on bed - Sink faucet loose - Express check-out offered but not actually provided - TV remote barely responsive - Fitness centre wipes were almost completely dried out While some of the issues indicate that traffic is slow, which is sad and I'm sympathetic, others indicate cleaning could use improvement, which is rather unsettling in a pandemic setting. Unlikely to return.

The hotel was very clean and the rooms were spacious. Check in was quick and the staff is very friendly! The best part was the pool, hot tub and waterslide! My kids loved the pool and it wasn't very busy so we were able to swim a few times during our stay.

Well to start off I will say this is normally our go to hotel while we stay in Edmonton for our kids medical appointments. This stay left us disappointed and unsure if we will continue to stay here. We arrived at out hotel after travelling for 6 hours. Check in could have gone better as the guy at the front desk wasn't very friendly but we figured everyone has bad days. We got our room keys and went straight up to our room. The moment we opened the door to our room we were hit with an AWFUL smell that was similar to dead mouse. I called the front desk immediately and told them how bad the room smelled and they said they would send housekeeping up right away to check it out. 20 mins later the gentlemen from maintenance not housekeeping showed up. I opened the door for him and he could also immediately smell it WITH A MASK ON as those were mandatory in Edmonton. He told us he would have them move us to a different suite and to stay in the room and he would bring back keys for a new room. 15 minutes went by and we called back down asking what was taking so long. Front desk told us they were still trying to find a room and to wait a little longer. By this time I had enough and couldn't stand the smell any longer so we went to the lobby. The ignorant front desk clerk told us that maintenance had gone back up and had been knocking on the door waiting for us. We know he was lying because we passed the Maintenance guy in the hallway when we got off the elevator. He told us he had no other suites available which consisted of 2 queen beds and 1 sofa bed to fit our family of 5. He then told us our options were to take a room with 2 queen beds and one kid would sleep on the floor or to go somewhere for a few hours while they tried to get the smell out of our original room. NOT ONCE did he apologize for anything that had happened and made it seem like we were inconveniencing him. By this point I was DONE and my husband told him we are leaving to find a new hotel. The moment we said we were leaving and starting to walk out the door he suddenly found a solution! He told us rather then leave he could give us 2 conjoining rooms one with a king bed and the other with 2 queens for the kids. I agreed only if we weren't paying for the second room which he reluctantly agreed to. Very clean hotel and clean hotel room. The hotel is conveniently located close to restaurants, shopping and parks. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The jacuzzi tub in the room was very enjoyable. Bed was uncomfortable, worn out and very old. The air conditioner was very noisy and kept us awake all night. Also the traffic from the freeway was very loud, and could be heard over the noise of A/C. Complimentary "take away" breakfasts were provided as the hotel restaurant that usually provides free continental breakfast was closed due to COVID 19. These breakfast bags were a big disappointment. I requested gluten-free breakfast bags for my 2 night stay, 7 days prior to arrival, with a reminder the same day of our arrival. One morning, I received 2 oranges and 1 apple for breakfast; second morning 3 oranges for breakfast. That is not a meal. How about some yogurt or a GF breakfast bar GF granola bar. My husband's regular breakfast bag wasn't much better. Little or no effort was put into these breakfast bags. Not even close to normal complimentary continental breakfast options listed on hotel website. We still had to purchase breakfast outside the hotel both mornings or we would have gone hungry. Instead of providing these breakfast bags it would be better not to provide any breakfast at all during restaurant closure or give to gift cards to McDonald's to avoid customer disappointment. Edmonton is a lovely city, and we enjoyed our brief visit over all.

Coming from a province with smaller covid-19 numbers we were impressed that the hotel was very clean and we often saw staff sanitizing, masks were required by all in common areas (95% of people followed), pool was restricted to a max of 8 people at a time through booking a slot, the free breakfast was bagged (muffin,drink,apple,granola bar) and taken to your room. The beds were super comfortable, there was some road noise but nothing to bother out sleep. The staff was very polite, friendly and helpful. We felt very safe and looked after during our visit and would definitely return.

Thanks for the great nights rest after a long days travel. I mean it could have been.a rpund trip back to Saskatchewan. Im glad they took in my family fpr the night and sent us off refreshed for the road home the next day. Looking forward to another 2 night stay possibly this weekend

This was a great place to stay since we couldn't stay with family/friends due to Covid. Room was clean and we felt very safe to stay there. Location is great - right off Gateway Blvd. Price was very reasonable. We will stay here again.

In time of covid 19 ,it added to the difficulty of a six day motor fron Ontario . I did do my own surface cleaning after obtaining my room key before bringing in my personal baggage. Two rooms and two different payments for my whole family, begging was not an exception. No other hotel gave me no issues with payments, this was the first. incident we had during our family trip. Got in late to hotel and had upsetting Convocation with night attendant.

Booked room at the last minute. Chose this one because of proximity to what I was doing. When I called I was told the cost was $95 for one night. I told her that I had the web page open and the price was $85. "Oh, I can give it to you for that" I don't appreciate it when someone tries to take advantage.

Understanding it was COVID however the occupancy would have been very low so the shape of the room and amount of hot water shouldn't have been affected as so. Was moving out of my apartment into a house. Had to be out of the apartment before I could get the keys to the new place. Instead of inconveniencing a friend I decided to treat myself to a hotel. I'm glad I did. The great sleep made all the difference.

The hardest thing to figure out was the remote for the TV. I couldnt find the guide ! The lady at the front desk was super friendly even during these times of covid-19. I asked for a room where I could see my truck and she accommodated right away.

Obviously enjoyed it and thought we would came back to the great service we came to enjoy. Went to check in and they keys wouldn't work. Gave another room, entered and beds weren't made and chunks of food lying around along with used Kleenex. Went back downstairs and she assigned us the original room that the keys did not work on. Opened that door to find the same situation. As a Platinum member who has enjoyed all the benefits of the rewards program, I have never been so disappointed with a Best Western stay as I was with this one. Even as COVID-19 has struck, staff have walked off the job you would think that the owners would take some pride and jump into their business to make beds as so many other business owners have done. It will be a long time before we stay at another Best Western.

Stayed one night while travelling to work. The staff were excellent and demonstrated good Customer Service throughout the process from Checkin to Departure. I stayed in the King Suite, Room 108 which was clean and comfortable.

We got a juice box and an apple and small cookie. Room was large and clean checking was fast and easy did not like them charging $250 on my card when room was paid in advance on reservations.com Tv remote failed to work do had to get a new one at front desk Staff were friendly and helpful.

This hotel was immaculate and clean. The staff are friendly and professional, and go out of their way to make sure your stay is great. We were upgraded to a King suite which provided lots of room to move around. The breakfast was great and had lots of hot and cold options. The pool and hot tub were great as well!

I stayed two nights at this Best Western with my 4 yr old daughter. Staff was very friendly and helpful, rooms clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious! We spent alot of time in the pool. You could tell the pool/slide was a bit old but it was clean and well maintained. Would definitely go back.

My first impression was the tiny, very icy, unlit parking lot. I am a Diamond Elite Best Western Member and should be able to stay without a charge at all. The front desk clerk was going to charge me $50.00 for the room key. I did not want the charge on my credit card and said I will pay debit, then the amount jumped to $250.00! For a room key!!! I called Best Western customer service and they said that had never heard of this, the agent called the front desk and could not get her to wave the fee. The clerk was getting increasingly rude to me throughout the ordeal. I ended up cancelling there and going to another Best Western, where there was no charge at all. AVOID THIS LOCATION!!!

Key cards wouldn't work, vending machines wouldn't work, tv remote wouldn't work multiple times, and multiple times of walking back and forth to front desk. All Because the phones didn't work either in the room.. Staff were helpful and friendly but kept making excuses. Only thing that went good was my sleep on a comfortable bed. I think they should be better prepared and do walk throughs of rooms before renting them out.

We liked this hotel but it is a little far from most things so driving is a must. Even most food options are not with in walking distance. The staff are very pleasant and took care of our need well. The pool was nice and clean.

Only a couple issues, if a guest want to check in early and not access the room, let them. Do not have housekeeping knock on guests doors at 10 am, when check out is noon. Should have a system in place that lets the front desk contact housekeeping and keeps them updated on vacant and checked out rooms.

We had booked this hotel for our cheerleading team. When we arrived we were told they didnt have our room we had booked. We needed two beds. We were given a room with a king bed and no where for our kids to sleep. We went to our room that was a "upgrade" and it had a tub in the middle of the room? It was still dirty and musty smelling. We went back down stairs and showed them our booking email and demanded our booked room. They magically found our correct room that we had actually booked after telling us they were sold out. The maids were always talking in another language while we were with them in the elevators. I did hear them complain about there supervisor. They were not very nice to her. The breakfast was ok but the forks were all being touched by everyone there. Turn them around. We had others in our group who experienced a horrible check in and had to sit in the entrance of the hotel for 3 hours while they looked for there room. We will be booking elsewhere next year as this Hotel was way below the standards of any Best Western we have stayed at...

We like Best Western, but this one was just not as others that we have stayed at. 1. Breakfast forks were in containers with the part that you eat with pointed up. This meant that it was pretty much impossible to not touch several surrounding forks when taking one. Every other person seemed to be coughing at breakfast. Disgusting. I hope that you will change this right away, especially now with COVID-19 going around. 2. Our bathroom door would not stay in any position other than wide open, and to close it all the way you had to pretty much slam it shut. It was difficult to go to the bathroom at night without waking the whole family. 3. The bed sagged. 4. The pool was freezing cold.

Easy online booking, good location for our needs, comfortable rooms and awesome hot shower! Friendly staff. We didn't need a room with a pull out couch so she gave us the room for $15 less. We would stay here again.

Hotel is located near restaurants and highways, nice looking building and the rooms were great. Very nice pool and hot tub, the breakfasts were good, check in and out were easy and overall a great value for the money.

Breakfast is the best thing about this place. Great place for a budget friendly visit. But don't expect a lot. Always seems short staff and not a lot of help if you have any questions. The same garbage was in the entrance when we got there to when we left. A lot of “not my job” going around there.

Was very disappointed I stay here for work in the area previous visits were fine however this week not so much! After checking in I had to us the washroom dropped my bags and went to do my business just as I was finishing up and doing my pants up one of the room maids quickly knocked on my door and let herself in and was almost caught with my pants down! The second day my apprentice had his bag taken from his room during the day while we were at work! We went to report this at the front desk and they were going to have the manager review the camera footage how ever that was useless as the cameras are only at the exterior doors! When we returned to discuss this matter with the manage we were advised there was noting they could do and wound have to call in the RCMP Really I did not feel a matter of this sort would Warrant taking up valuable police time and should have been worked out between Best western and us. We rent 2 suites a week and will be finding a different hotel for our future work here!

I was a little Upset when I checked my reciept, I was charged $103.00 for the first night, and $113.00 the next night. I was anoyed I was not not told this. I may have chose to look for a different hotel for the 2nd night. I will be more careful in the future, but it won't be with Best Western. You don't just get to take peoples money without telling them.

very accommodating in a time of need! we were in the city because our daughter was in hospital, our check in time was 2am the hotel gave us a 12pm check-out time and gave a discount on the room as we had paper work to show we had a loved one in hospital.

The staff is incredible. From the moment you arrive they welcome you with a smile and thoughtfulness. The rooms are incredibly clean and in impeccable shape. Sure it doesnt haventhe decor of the Ritz Carlton, but if you can live without that, everything that matters is top notch.

Good rooms, close to restaurants and a nice breakfast. Small gym but well equipped. The pool looks nice but i didn't go in. Front desk staff are great. Very clean building as well with spacious rooms.

Great place to stay. Clean and comfortable, good service and a terrific breakfast bar. Great for business and families spacious room, nice bathroom. No issues overall enjoyed our stay, I recommend this hotel.

the staff is amazing and a great breakfast, also enjoyed the swimming pool. Very accommodation staff and always willing to listen and go over and above. Love to come back and stay all the time when ever in the city.

The hotel room was dirty, furniture was in terrible condition and torn, looked as though it had never been cleaned or replaced since the 1990's. Their was no recycling or compost program like they were supposed to have. Additionally, there were no privacy sheers on the windows. The carpet was dirty and worn out and looked to be never cleaned. The elevator was in poor condition, had no working security pass system and there was no last inspection date posted in the elevator. Does not deserve to be called a Best Western Plus. Overall, a better stay would have been had at a cheap motel. The only saving grace was the front desk clerks, as they were friendly and helpful. We are faithful Best Western guests, and this hotel misses the mark set by other BW Plus hotels. The owners of this hotel really need to invest in upgrades and improvements.

buffet breakfast was very busy due to some kind of event with many family's in the hotel both on Sunday and Monday. only used the room for sleeping. Was quiet and as expected for a modest family friendly hotel.

Our daughter went into labor 8 weeks early so there was not alot of planning time, I was very happy with the price, and I can't say enough about Beth at the front desk! She absolutely made the stay so great! This lady needs a raise!! The room was very well appointed, and house keeping did an amazing job!! Kudos to the BW chain. Top marks. The breakfast buffet was good and always fresh. If I find myself in Edmonton there is no need for me to shop around they have my business!! On a side note if your looking at staying here book through them directly, you can get probably the same price and they offer little perks that you don't get through trip adviser etc. through the awards program.

great value for price paid. was very busy with many families in town for event(s). was what we were expecting just busier. just what we needed for our stay in town. buffet breakfast was good value and reasonable selection , enough to satisfy most.

Super loud. Despite complaints they let people run the halls, screaming, and jumping. The noise went on for two nights in a row until after 1am. The gentleman on night shift agreed for us to not pay for 2 of our 3 nights stay which did not happen. I asked after the 2nd night stay that a manager call me because if they weren't going to be committed to this that we would be switching hotels for our third night. They said someone would call, and only the staff called who could "do nothing" and I'd have to wait until Monday. They did not say this under the evening (we were out of the hotel all day but made numerous calls to them). The door lock was broken in my sister in laws room, which meant anyone could walk into their room. They called and said they couldn't fix it, and said we would need to come back from what we were doing to move our items. Then we called to say we would not be coming back to do this as we were on a vacation, and then after being put on hold many times they all of a sudden fixed the lock. I would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy! The manager is rude and has no idea how to even work a computer system to give a discount (I got 1 nights stay free) or to book people in. She spoke down to me saying things like "would you like 50% off two nights, or 1 night free?"...ummm THATS THE SAME THING! I called her on it, and all she said was "I know." The pool is freezing, so don't make the mistake that we did and stay there for the waterslide.

Good value, good sleep, good cleanliness. Grocery store for taking back to room is short drive if you don't want to do the restaurants. Was really glad the parking lot had plug ins as it was -40 degrees.

We absolutely love this hotel when we need to stay-over in Edmonton. We always know what to expect - a great breakfast, clean/comfortable/quiet rooms, good location, good price and helpful, friendly staff.

If I could leave zero I would. Horrible customer service. Had a ringette team team staying during our stay and it was SO LOUD. After numerous complaints, after 10pm they did NOTHING! Noise went on until after 1:30am. This happened 2 nights in a row. Was told I would be I would be credited 2 nights, but no. I asked them to pull the video or recording of their staff promising this. They told me I could call a manager at my check out time, after they said she would be there at 7am. I questioned the location of the manager, and she was in the back. Yet...they wantes me to call her when I was off site. Ridiculous. The manager offered me 2 nights at 50% off or a free night stay....which is exactly the same thing. She talked to me as if I were stupid!! Such a joke. She was rude, didn't know how to work the computer system and tried to not let me pay with the form of payment I requested. I took her card and picture after she told me to "do what you gotta do". Ill be reporting to head office and never staying with a Best Western again. Dirty linens, no pillow cases on pillows, asked for extra pillows 2 times and we finally went and got them ourselves. If you have little people and are excited for the waterslides, go somewhere else. The pool area is freezing, the pool is cold and if you're unlucky like us you will be stuck with sports teams with drunk parents in the pool area who are loud and don't have control of their kids and the hotel does nothing to protect your stay. Also, my sister in laws door didn't lock and they didn't care. After multiple calls interrupting our trip, it was finally fixed but not until after someone accidentally walked into the room. Stay away. Lots of hotels in the area that have waterslides. The gentleman said we would get 2 free night stays and they didn't hold up to that. I'll be calling head office when I'm home. I don't want anyone going through what we did. Ruined our weekend away. Ill be writing reviews on every website so no one else has to experience this! Especially with kiddos.

Nice property. Staff are super friendly and welcoming. Has all amenities for business and leisure customers. Rooms need small upgrades for USB charging for us business travellers that have a lot of equipment to charge up. Other than that, would 100% recommend.

Checked into room had no towels or soap. Got some from front desk. Next day went back to our room and had no towels. Not even wash clothes. From desk gave us 2 for 4 people. Later on went swimming. Ask for a towel and they said to use the ones in our room. This wasn't possible. Couldn't go swimming.

We went for the pool and water slide which did not disappoint. Our grandchildren - two 8 yr olds and one 10, had a great time. The included breakfast provided enough variety for all of us. The hotel staff worked hard to make our stay a good one. We were pleased with the price for a room that slept 6. We are planning on returning in the near future.

Pool and hot tub were freezing cold. Never had towels for the pool so had to use room towels. Waited for 2.5-3 hours for our rooms to be ready with 4 kids. It seemed like there wasn't enough staff working. Don't waste your money on this hotel.

Stay on lower floor to get hot water, breakfast was weak. Front desk was good, amenities were good. Pool was clean , would try them again. Selection at breakfast was good for cold food but not for the hot Need to ensure water heater is able to send hot water to every room

I have stayed at this location many times over the last 14 months. The staff are always friendly, and go out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The convenience of the location and the surrounding amenities make it an awesome place to stay

The Staff were very friendly at the desk , the rooms are clean and it felt kinda like home , safe and quiet,, best was the beautifully displayed tasty breakfast . They had a variety of choices to choose from

Good value, close to amenities, friendly staff, close to ring road so easy to get around Edmonton. Included breakfast & free wifi add to the value, have never used the pool but would be great with the family.

This was a medical trip. The BW was clean quiet and right across the highway from Health Point medical. The airport shuttle also comes to the BW when booked There is a brand new hotel very close by that does not have this option....this is extremely awkward and expensive for the customers. Way to go Best Western.

When I visit Edmonton for business, I prefer this location for its proximity to where I mostly need to visit. The hotel and staff are great and I will continue to use this location for my business travel needs.

Have been staying here for years. Well maintained, can't beat the service or the price. Great location just minutes away from ikea and the outlet shops. Lots of great restaurants nearby - 3 within a 5 minute walk.

I called the hotel after noticing they had not credited my Best Western Reward Points. Much to my disappointment...even with the folio information they WOULD NOT give me my reward points because I noticed it 3 weeks later! Very disappointed!!!

The location is a quick drive to the outlet mall, west ed and right by ikea. The staff is friendly and accommodating! Breakfast has so many different hot and cold and healthy options! Love it and is the only place i stay in Edmonton!

Went to Edmonton on a work related trip and holiday that staff was amazing!!! The breakfast was just what you need to start the day. The rooms are clean and the room service and house keeping are excellent!!

The parking lot was a skating rink and they made no attempt to throw gravel or ice melt down. my kids and I slipped a few times going from the car to the side walk. Also, I forgot something in my room and let them know less than 24 hours later and they basically said I was lying. Very frustrating. The temperature in the room fluctuated so much it made it so hard to sleep, we had to wait 10-15 minutes to get checked in and even though the pool is open until 10:30 they turn the waterslide off an hour early. We really did not enjoy our stay at all.

The room was clean and nice. The breakfast was poor and not stocked late on a saturday. They double charged us and I told them but they didnt believe me and said it would be fixed at the end of the day and I wouldnt be charged. I was charged twice and had to call back to fix and now it will take a few days to get my money back. No compensation offered for my trouble.

A great location right off of the QE2 and Anthony Henday over passes, makes it easy for any visitor to navigate Edmonton from this property. Excellent, caring staff, always clean and quiet, this is the perfect hotel for a “great value for dollar”. I stay here about 2-3 nights a month when in town on business.

2 vending machines just ate our money. The lady upfront just told us to “not use them anymore”. The thermostat didn't work in our room but we didn't even dare say anything because of the receptionist's attitude toward us. The bed sheets had stains! There were no towels in the pool area and the hot tub was barely even warm! It was a horrible decision booking here. I've stayed at way Better hotels but this one was picked for a mother daughter trip. Never again!

The appearance was approaching the hotel was very nice they offer a pool and was very clean inside the lobby however there was some maintenance issues but the elevator the breakfast room was not the greatest as they were not ready for the amount of people they had in the hotel overall I would stay there again however it would have to be a very good deal otherwise I would probably go someplace else and get a better bang for my dollar

Great place to stay. Rooms are clean, staff is super friendly especially the front counter. The pool and water slide were a bonus. The water was a great temperature, not freezing cold like other places. Fun to be in the water and not freeze.

Last minute check in, there was an available room , they even made sure we were close to the more organized family that had booked a room. Affordable and clean . Great water slide. The kids had a great time.

We did a road trip from Calgary to Jasper to Edmonton, thus I had to call for a late check in. They allowed us to have a lake check out as well. One worthy of 5 stars is their breakfast buffet. I think this is the best free breakfast buffet that I had been to with all of the hotels in Calgary and Edmonton, considering it is a weekday as well. The lady made sure all of the food is filled. I especially love their make your own waffle with helpings of compote. Really clean pool as well, never ran out of pool towels.

Pool was so dirty we could not use it. Clumps of hair, hair ties & pieces of black plastic floating in pool. Blood on floor of men's washroom. Hot tub out of order. Kids disappointed. Checked out early to swim elsewhere.

This hotel is located on the very south end of Edmonton, in proximity to many of the businesses and stores I need to access. The fan of the wall A/C - heat unit adequately mask vehicle noise on HWY 2.

We have stayed here multiple times and love the location. Service and rooms are always good. Staff is friendly. Great value. Close to many restaurants and shopping. Would recommend and will stay again.

Everything was clean and open. Staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was awesome! the location was excellent for our purpose. Easy access to everything we need and easy to find. We will be staying again.

Quality of Breakfast for multiple days stayed was A++. Tues to Thurs. Plenty of Hot and cold options and cheese omelette is MMM. Very clean, comfortable and quiet during our stay. Hot tub stair rails need serious attention!!!

There was no hot water at all and we even went ahead And got a room with a jacuzzi tub couldn't even use it so I was a wast of money. Should not recommend the jacuzzi suit. Room didn't have blankets for the spare bed.

Highly recommended. Fantastic executive suite with 3 huge windows, allowing a splendid sunlight throughout the spacious room. Our executive room was equipped with everything you need to feel comfortable in. Everyone from housekeeping, especially “Kelly our maid” were extremely accommodating, very friendly, courteous, and most eager to help. She went out of her way to assist us. We had an amazing feeling being treated with white gloves. Kelly from housekeeping was remarkably friendly, accommodating, courteous, delightful, and most of all very helpful in obtaining our great room. She gave us a greatly appreciated excellent service. Many thanks to Kelly!

Another great stay at best western south. We always stay here when our kids have appts at the stollery. Good clean hotel with free breakfast and pool/waterslide for the kids. Only recommendation would to have the pool a tiny bit warmer.

I would not hesitate to rebook. I felt the dollar value was great. Easy access to hotel, easy check in,easy check out. I like the option of having a breakfast before we get on the road so this was an added bonus.

As always, staying with Best Western Plus in south Edmonton has been a pleasure. Clean rooms, friendly staff and a great breakfast. Would not want to stay anywhere else. Having free wifi and an express checkout is always a bonus!

Nice stay. Good location. Close to airport, and shopping. 15 min drive to downtown. Parking was free. Friendly staff is a plus. Fitness centre was very well kept. Didn't use pool but looked very clean.

This hotel does not have even close to enough parking for visitors. Hotel staff informed us there was knowhere near the hotel available and to stay at the far end of an adjoining lot which was part of another buisness . Then she added " but there are no security cameras that far down" we should have taken this as a warning and left . Sure enough when we went out in the morning our car had been broken into and robbed .

Good hotel for groups looking for a place to keep students together. We were there for a volleyball tournament. Good location and service. Clean rooms. We will repeat if we need to come back to Edmonton South.

The rooms are clean and so big. I loved being able to have room to move. We did not k=make it for breakfast as it ended at 9:30 and my child was still sleeping, I would like to see longer breakfast hours to accommodate the non business traveler.

Staff is very friendly and with regret, we will have to start choosing a different hotel close by until some work has been done here. Our room was in need of repair in numerous places.... tub was sloppily repaired, bedding stained, bathroom walls moldy and peeling, rug was rippled. Mostly clean enough otherwise and very quiet. Location is perfect for our medical needs and leisure shopping etc.

We had our grand children staying with us and chose this hotel because of the pool with the water slide. We would not stay at this hotel if we didn't have our grandchildren with us (they like the water slide). We had to call maintenance for a couple of issues. One problem, they were able to fix the other they couldn't fix. One of the two elevators was not working properly when we arrived on Thursday (which I reported to the front desk). Nothing was done about it and it broke down and was out of service for the entire labour Day weekend. They didn't want us to take towels from the room to the pool but on two occasions there were no towels available at the pool and when I reported the problem to the front desk there were no clean towels available, so I had to go get the towels from the room.

Breakfast sucked. Was so full no place to sit. When we did manage to get a spot, food trays were empty and the hotel did not replenish anything. Was as if what they put out was it and everyone was like cattle to rush and eat while you can.

Clean, safe, great breakfast . Has pool, waterside and hot tub!! Rooms were big and very clean!! Staff was very attentive! Cant wait for the next trip. This will probably be our go to hotel from now on when we go to Edmonton!

I have stayed at this location 3 times in the past 2 years for 4 nights each time. Every time I stayed here I had a great experience and it makes me not want to consider staying anywhere else. The location is 8 minutes from the airport and close enough to downtown that I could get there quickly but it's far enough away to stay quiet. There is a royal pizza in the same parking lot as the hotel that has really good food. If you are going to Edmonton, stay here! You won't regret it.

I have stayed here many times and never been disappointed in the room. Our room had a ripped curtain the carpet needed to be replaced as it was folding this soap dish in the tub was missing and the side curtains were all wrinkly. Certainly not what I expected for a Best Western.

I stay at a lot of Best Westerns. This one is very cookie cutter and I've been to better BW Plus'. The pool area is small, breakfast area small. Rooms pretty standard but clean. However the staff are very nice and check-in was quick.

Booked for a shopping weekend in Edmo. Got up West Edmonton Mall then South Common then out to Leduc Outlet Mall. Hotel is central for all of that. Dinner at The Keg and then Spiderman. Hotel room was clean. Breakfast was very good but real plates and cutlery like the BW in Lethbridge would make it better. Pool and water slide were being put to good use. Will definitely be back.

Room was clean, lots of room and of perfect temperature, staff were friendly and polite. Within walking distance to a few local eating establishments (Chop Steakhouse, Denny's).. Swimming pool and slide was a huge hit with my kids. Enjoyed the large hot tub and the fact it was deep so you could completely immerse yourself. Functioning shower and M/F bathroom was a bonus to have within the pool area. Good hours of operation for the pool as well.

South Edmonton location is great for accessing the airport in a reasonable amount of time and/or travelling into Edmonton. Clean, bright rooms - could use phone charging stations or more plugs but overall great value for the money. Waterslide, Pool and Hot Tub are spacious and clean areas providing entertainment. No restaurant on site but several within walking distance including Dennys and White Spot.

Located on easy access road with plenty of amenities nearby. Priced within our budget for a quick weekend away. Our room, Water slide and pool facility was very clean. Staff was friendly and happy to help. We will definitely stay here again.

We have stayed at this hotel frequently over the last 3 years. We have always found the staff to be excellent - considerate, conscientious, and helpful. The hotel is well maintained and clean. Great waterslide for children! Price wise - it is good value for the area. One negative - the carpets in the guest room are tired and worn. They need to be replaced.

Very bad experience using gift cards and also being charged the full amount of the hotel bill on my credit card as a deposit! Should have only been 50 to 100 dollar deposit! The front staff were not willing to do anything about this.

Generally the hotel stay was good and the kids had a great time in the pool. The water slid is an awesome addition for families with young kids. But the breakfast was a huge disappointment. I'll understand if it's advertised as no breakfast. For every morning we went down, there was little or no food in the serving dishes. When the food was brought out, it was just enough to serve maybe 3 or 4 people then you'll have to wait another 20mins or more before another batch is brought out. Don't make people feel like they're begging for food. The last day after we had waited for more than 30mins, when we asked again for boiled egg the response was “ we'll be closing in 5mins”. So you're basically waiting for people to ask otherwise you pretend you don't know it's finished. The quality of food could be better. If you have family and you're interested in breakfast, this may not be a good option.

We thought because this was a newer hotel, it would be clean and in good working order. We were wrong. The outside of the hotel required repairs (a broken window), and our room was very dark and not well cleaned. There was mystery splatter on the bathroom wall and on the room's ventilation unit. The room smelled like something was rotting, which we traced to the ventilation unit. After cleaning the splatter off we noticed the filter had likely never been cleaned. We couldn't get rid of the smell. It also made a horrible rattling noise whenever it came on. The carpet was old and worn, and had rolled in a few spots. It was also very noisy, and we could hear every person walking down the hallway. We would not recommend this location.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at this hotel. The hotel was in excellent condition and appeared to be fairly new. The bed was extremely comfortable. Even though the hotel is near a busy highway - we found it to be quite quiet. Housekeeping was excellent. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The complimentary breakfast offered a wide assortment of hot and cold options. The kids (and adults) loved the pool and waterslide. The only thing I think could have improved is the area around the pool which could have used a deep cleaning, but, there was someone working on that one of the days we were there as well. The location was awesome - close to dining options as well as a 2 minute drive to South Edmonton Common for shopping. I would love to stay here again.

The carpet in the rooms have seen better days, the staff could put a little more smile on their face, the room keys always (3 days in a row) quit working around check out time and reception keeps telling you must be doing something wrong or you have to wait up to 5 minutes after they activate the key cards for them to work, i would not be coming up to the room and coning back down to reception if i dont have to so i follow directions really good but the keys did not work. We had to get the room service people to let us in the first couple of mornings and maintenance was sent the third morning. Coffee maker was dirty, we found some white residue, it may have been just from the water.

Pool is nice for kids. The beds were comfy. Breakfast had a decent variety just wish when they state they will have two variaties of meat that they'd have more then just different types of sausage. Etc first morning pork sausage links and patties second morning pork sausage links and Turkey sausage links

It was a very nice place to stay and was very clean throughout. The staff were all very friendly and professional. The free breakfasts were very good. We enjoyed our stay there and would recommend it to others!

The staff have always been friendly and helpful, once again received an up grade to a jacuzzi suite. Even with some late check outs I was still able to check in early without having previously arranged for it

We had a great stay! The continental breakfast was amazing. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was a great hotel for my family. I would highly recommend it to my family and friends! We were close to shopping centers and my kids loved the waterslide.

The lobby was nicely decorated. When I tried to check in there was an issue with my booking and the front desk staff was not helpful at all. She was very grumpy and just basically told me too bad. When we found out that the name was incorrect and figured out that I DID in fact have a reservation I was relieved. The toilet was broken when we got into our room and there was someone there quite quickly to fix it. The elevator tile was all broken and taped together with green tape. The breakfast was awesome. The pool was disappointing The hot tub was not a hot tub it was more of a lukewarm bath which is a cesspool of bacteria. They didnt seem to care or say when it would be repaired and through our 5 night stay it was still not working. There were never any towels in the pool area. The housekeeping staff was the nicest staff in the hotel. The room was always cleaned very nicely.

This hotel has good potential, although some places were clean and bright others were not. I had a good experience with the front desk agent upon arrival. Small details could be worked on, but it is a moderately priced accommodation

The front desk girl was great, the room.wasnt very clean. It has black spots all over the window(didn't look like mold just not.cleaned.well) and there was a random red ball under one bed, so clearly our room.wasnt.cleaned 100% as it should have been. My first job was in housekeeping so I get how busy these girls can get but really?

The room was nice, a bit small in the bathroom was laid out in a silly way… Nice but cheap doubt in little details such as a cloth shower curtain, no safe, missing things such as napkins in the rooms, no water bottles, no towels in the pool, they would run out of coffee in the lobby, not all the cable channels worked. Overall it was a nice place to stay in relatively good value for money.

Ice machine not working discount coupon not used. charged my credit card without removing discount. asked for discount on the room charges before tax this did not happen. After I explained this to the front deck clerk.

Our king size bed was absolutely wonderful.. Room was clean and comfortable.Only problem was with the pull out bed for our son, but they are apparently in the process of replacing all the pull our beds. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was wonderful, lots of variety, beautiful fruit. . Will definitely stay here again.

Hotel has friendly staff. Mostly clean except for shower curtain and stained carpet. Bed was comfy and clean which is most important. Not as nice as most of the best western franchise hotels. Lots of places to get food near by.

Great place. Quiet clean the people that work here are great. Sadly they are however forced to pretend the lack of hot water is a surprise. It's not. There was no hot water when I stayed months ago. It is still a problem. If you like hot showers probably not the place for you

We had a corner room with windows on two sides -- nice and bright! The climate control worked perfectly, the room was spotless, the couch and easy chair made it seem like a two-room suite. The TV was large with many channels and an easy channel guide on channel 1. The free breakfast was delicious, including 3 types of eggs, sausage, oatmeal, 4 different cereals, and many different types of bread served in a large, clean, and cheery breakfast room. We definitely got a good deal. The hotel was within easy walking distance of a pizza restaurant, a Denny's, and a steakhouse, and a drug/convenience store was 2 blocks away, also an easy walk.

We stayed this hotel for the first time as it is very close to many shopping areas. It is clean and the staff were friendly. We basically used the room for showers and sleep as we were out shopping most of the time.

We have never stayed in a Best Western Plus before so was not sure what to expect. From the time we checked in to the time we checked out was a great experience. The staff at the front desk were friendly and knowledgeable, they printed out a map for us to get to our location in Edmonton. The rooms were spacious and clean. The beds were very comfortable. On our way out to supper staff asked us how the room was, did we need anything. The breakfast in the morning was awesome. There was a great selection of foods to choose from, the food was flavorful and hot. Check out was easy , we ended up staying at this hotel again as other plans did not work out and ended up staying at The Best Western Plus Red Deer on our way home. A definite must stay for travelers looking for a clean, staff friendly, great breakfast hotel.

The location and price of hotel is awesome. Lots of choice for full breakfast. Comfortable and clean room and lobby. Close to shopping and restaurants. Great pool area with hot tub and water slide. Will definitely stay again.

From check in to check out, staff was very professional, room was great, and very clean.They even called the room, to make sure everything was good. Saw a young family in the elevator and the kids were super excited to head into the pool.

I have stayed here a number of times. Usually only when I have business on the south fringe of Edmonton. Otherwise it is to far out to drive back and forth into the city. Clean rooms friendly staff. Surprisingly quiet considering the proximity to the highway. Not a lot of food options within walking distance, but there is pizza and Steak. Others a short drive. Breakfast was good. I have a co worker that complains about the quality of free breakfasts (not this one, just in general). Personally I don't know why because BW offers everything I would eat at home plus more. If you don't want the scrambled eggs and sausage there is always frozen fruit, yogurt, cold cereal, toast etc. I dare you to find something you wouldn't eat.

We love staying here. The staff and amenities are always above standard. We love the pool and waterslide. With our young family it's the perfect size. Staff is always willing to help when towels are out or we need extra toiletries l.

probably one of the best value hotels we have stayed at in edmonton. the property is among the nicest, most clean, modern, and friendly, yet the price remains affordable. If this property is available whevenever we return to edmonton, it will be our default choice again. We found it to be a convenient location and a good experience. the hotel is starting to show its age, i have stayed there since it opened as the location is good, there are now 7 other hotels in the same area competing with the BW. The same with the fitness room Breakfast is ok but needs to step up with quality and selection. Shelby and the front desk are always polite and helpful

We stayed in a king suite and the room was very comfortable. We like having the sitting area. Breakfast was good, there is a nice selection of foods to choose from. We also used the hot tub which we found a little cool but enjoyable

We have no complaints. everyone was friendly. Motel was clean, breakfast had a good variety. The location was just minutes where our party was held. Close to a drug store and other stores if needed. Close to other restaurants if needed.

Hotel was in a great location for us. Amenities very good. Staff very friendly and attentive. Room was very good, bed comfortable. We also enjoyed the use of your pool which was clean and plenty of towels. Complimentary breakfasts were very good as well. We especially liked they provided protein options (instead of just carbs as a continental breakfast provides).

Our stay was very comfortable. Breakfast was great, but as parents tend to ignore their children in the breakfast room, we would suggest utensils are out handle side up. We watched a few children grab and Handle them and put them back.

Brought 90 students and adults to Edmonton for a trip. The hotel staff were friendly, organized and very prepared for the needs of our large group. Everything from check in to check out went very easily. Will definitely return the next time we are in Edmonton!

I have stayed at this hotel several times. The staff is incredible but its time for a complete makeover for the rooms. Everything in the rooms has that yellowish tinge that reveals its age and the furniture is defintiely showing wear. And the continuing problem of waiting 15 minutes to get hot water from the taps is still prevalent. The breakfast is in need of a makeover also as it hasn't changed in ages.

picked this hotel because of the pool, water slide and hot tub, hot tub not working, pool was very cold. room was great and well priced, but toilet plugged as soon as we went to use it. overall good value except for the amenities not working and we were not told

The interiors of the room were very outdated especially the carpets. The shower curtain doesn't fit right on the lenght size of the tub. The flash on the toilet bowl is not working right! The Filipina lady in front of the reception was very rude! At first she was not even nice on the phone. I don't care if she's the manager she don't deserve to be in the position especially working in front. Please deal with her she has an attitude and needs more training for customer service! I bet she's new there co'z we've been there in the hotel many times you can checked it online...Very poor customer service! I just want to ask if checking in earlier really needs to pay $50? I barely hear that kind of policy.

However, please know that we try our very best to accommodate early check-ins but they are not always guaranteed as everything depends on our occupancy and if I am not mistaken, you wanted to check-in at 10:30 in the morning. Our check-in time is at 4pm and check-out is at 12noon and yes, should you wish to check-in at 10:30am, an early check-in fee of 50.00 applies. If this was not implemented before and during your previous stays, thank you for letting me know, as this will be taken as a tool to make sure that all staff at the Front Desk are on the same page with regards to hotel policies and procedures. With regards to the other issues, were they reported at the Front Desk? The carpets in the rooms are due for updating and we are in the process of doing so. I spent multiple occasions here and the staff accommodated my needs for a more quiet room and ensured I would get the same or similar room for my return visits coming up. The breakfast bar was tasty and fresh every day so far.

clean, water slide and pool clean and functional, best complementary breakfast of any hotels we have stayed, friendly staff, a little hard getting to it from highway but once we figured it out was OK. Could use more and better parking.Definatly be back when we come visit kids again

This is a nice clean convenient and quiet spot to enjoy a good night's sleep. The breakfast is included and helps to make for an economical stay while in Edmonton on business. I found the staff here to be very friendly as well.

The common areas were in good shape, but our room had a lot of wear and tear. Lampshades, walls had damage. Carpet and couches had holes in them and were at the end of their life. The hot tub wasn't working when we were there which was a disappointment, but it was out of their control. Just would have been great to know about as we would have changed hotels before going.

Stayed there 3 night, on the last night there we got to our room and they had taken all our towels and not replaced them. Didnt empty our garbage or make the bed. Hot tub was broken and that was one of the reasons to book there. Argued with the front desk attendant about the lack of cleaning in our room and she didn't want to do anything for us. Her manager finally gave us a $15 gift certificate for our troubles. Our room was not clean. The neighborhood was convenient for what we needed. And the suite was roomy.

Rooms were large, clean and had everything we needed. Super comfortable beds. Kids loved the waterslides and the breakfast was great. Staff were very helpful. We've been here before and will be back again!

Booked this hotel for waterslide use. We had such bad luck with waterslides closed on the way here at other places that we called ahead to be sure it was not broken. Unfortunately, the front desk said it would not open until 5pm due to renovations and the hot tub is closed 10-14 days. Too late to change our booking, so we chanced it. Waterslide is in poor condition, pool is quite small. Rooms were fine but they could only give out one key card as they “don't have enough”. I would say the best thing going for this hotel is its breakfast array. Lots of hot breakfast options, lots of optional toppings. I wouldn't stay here again for the pool options but would recommend to anyone looking for a great included breakfast.

Hot Tub was under renovation and we were not made aware. The entire pool area was dusty from the workers cutting tiles. There were two tile repairs being done around the pool as well so they put a beach chair over top with plastic and green tape. It wasn't safe. Would've been nice to know ahead of time that the hot tub was closed and the pool was dusty and a little unsafe.

My trips to Edmonton always include the Best Western South. Great location close to the major through fares, easy parking and restaurants and shopping are all within minutes - actually Royal Pizza and other full service restaurants are walk distance. Water slide, pool for the kids and anyone else and full breakfast served by a very gracious and cheery morning lady. Highly recommended for business, families or just a night in the big E.

We booked this hotel from our plane with no idea what to expect. We arrived after 10:30 pm. No shuttle from airport, and in fact, no shuttle at all. There are places online that state that this property offers that as a complimentary service. I must admit, that is why we booked an (unknown to us) hotel. The cab ride was $40 to the hotel and was a 15 minute ride. There were much closer motel choices to be had as we noted from the ride there. But we were tired, so we just went with it. We ended up in a suite with disability access as it was the only king size bed left. The rooms carpet was worn and looked dirty, I imagine from wheel chair use over time, but everything else was fine. No phone books in suite guys? Really? Are we that cell phone tied? Front desk staff member was delightful. She was still on shift when we checked out for our early flight, and was still peppy and funny. The morning breakfast had a few hot items as well as the usual fruit, muffins, pastries, toast, waffles. cereal etc. Bacon eggs and sausage. Not bad at all for a free breakfast. We didn't have time to enjoy it, but we perused it, grabbed 4 perfect bananas and hit the road.

Our experience was very good to stay in Best Western,kids had lots of fun time in their slide swimming pool . Complimentary breakfasts awesome with lots of variety of food and great service. Rates were reasonable only issue with bed size they said it's queen bed but find beds were smaller than queen size.

We have been staying in BW properties for a while now and wondered why there was always the overpowering smell (in our opinion offensive stink) of cleaning supplies. This property proved that they are not required and this place was extremely clean and yet no offensive cleaning supply smells were present. Super HUGE KUDOS for so doing. The property looked great when we arrived and the lobby was bright and clean. A minor glitch when checking in was taken care of and we made our way to the style of room we had requested. It was a bit disappointing that the hot tub was again out of service so perhaps one day soon the people doing the repairs will figure out a way to keep it running for longer than a couple of months. The two queen bed room seemed longer and narrower than those we had been in previously but was quite adequate. As usual there was a fridge and a microwave in the room but we wondered why there was only two packages of coffee for the coffee maker when most places offered four. No big deal since additional packages were available at the front desk for the asking. We found the property to be very quiet especially since our room did not face the highway. We had been told that the BW Plus brand had restaurants attached however, this property does not. There are a couple of places to eat close by but if you want a special treat, drive across the street to Pampa restaurant for a real Brazilian BBQ experience. All in all this was our best stays in the last year of travelling. Thanks to Beth at the front desk for her cheerful attitude and helpfulness. They offer a free hot buffet breakfast which offers plenty of choices for those who partake in the SAD way of eating but not so much for those of us utilizing the Keto style of eating. I did eat a couple of the prefab cheese omelettes and a dab of their salsa along with one of their turkey sausages. One of the problems with buffet style eating is that one never knows who might have touched things prior to your arrival (or with what) or how long things have been sitting. Because neither the eggs nor the sausage were hot, I should have known better. The plastic lids should also have been a red flag however, I did not pay attention and a few hours later I was frantically seeking a facility. Oh well. Next time we will forgo the free breakfast and opt to pay for a Denny's meal instead.

Really nice hotel chain. I can trust that I'm getting a clean room with a very nice atmosphere through out. Great hospitality and super friendly who were always pleasant. Even the maids were smiling. I thought that was pretty cool.

Clean room, up to date. Friendly staff. Breakfast buffet that came with it was impressive. Definitely don't need to go anywhere else. Easy to get to location. I would stay there before my text time going to the airport.

This hotel is spotless and the staff are friendly and accomodating. The breakfast was amazing--a great varitey of cold and hot food. The pool and slide were fun for our kids. Unfortunately the hot tub was't working, but the hotel was working on having it repaired while we were there.

A well run Best Western family oriented or business trip property with friendly staff & great location for access to freeways/shopping & airport. Rates seem to keep competitive with & often more reasonable than other properties in the area.

My go to when I'm the area. Quick and friendly check in. Convenient check out and rooms are always clean and comfortable. Breakfast isn't legendary but certainly meets at least moderate standards. Affordable too. Definitely recommend!

Hotel is nice - we had a real nice room and it was clean. We went to the pool and the pools was fun - unfortunately the hot tub wasn't working. Close to lots of restaurants and of course there is always Skip the Dishes !! Really nice hotel and we will be back - nice staff !

Definitely a step down from other BWP hotels have stayed in recently (Calgary Airport, Grande Prairie, High Level)... crowded, too hot, hotel seemed stretched. We stayed here for the watersllde (and rewards member) but wasn't worth the bother. In-room coffee was terrible, breakfast room coffee was even worse and overall the breakfast wasn't great. Lots of Edmonton Southside options and while the room itself was okay with decent size and pull out couch next time we'll probably be staying elsewhere

We stayed here at this Best Western Hotel for two nights. We were given a hotel room that clearly was still under renovations, green tape on the walls, missing baseboards in bathroom, missing a fridge. we had to ask for a garbage can and coffee maker for our room as there was none in there. It had a connecting room and you could clearly hear conversations in the joining room. Not as private as we would have liked. Other that that it was a nice room. We stayed on a floor where a hockey team and many kids were also staying. These kids had basically taken over the floor as they had hockey nets setup in the hallway and around the elevators doors. My wife while holding our daughter got hit in the ass by a slap shot from one of these kids. I kind of thought it was humorous at the time but got to thinking I wouldn't have thought it was funny if my 1yr. old daughter had been hit in the face by one of these flying balls. These hockey kids were unsupervised, wild and very loud in the hallways. The hotel staff didn't seem to care that this was going on. The pool seemed to have some sort of soap scum floating on the surface so we decided not to venture in it. The hot breakfast made up for our stay and was very nice. Full hot breakfast w/Scrambled eggs, sausage, hash browns, waffles, fruit, cereal, yogurt, toast, juice, coffee, tea. It was in a nice large room with plenty of seating available. We're not sure if we'd stay here again as this wouldn't be our first and only choice available to us. Overall only 2.5 stars out of 5.

We are very happy with this hotel. It has a great location to South Common shopping. Close to the airport. The hot tub was not working. That was disappointing Our room was not ready when we got there at check in. After a bit they did give us a different room

A nice fresh hotel with great staff and ample amenities. Pool, water slide, hot tub, fitness room and free hot breakfast. BW also has a great reward system for frequent customers. I really enjoy the perks each reward level offers

The amenities provided at the hotel were great and the staff friendly. The breakfast area was clean and with a good selection of hot and cold food items. The lady in charge was exceptional and very helpful. We took full advantage of the pool and fitness room. The room overall was clean but just an average room. The beds were comfy. I am extremely chemical sensitive and did pick up a scent in the room. This is our second stay at the hotel and I had the same issue which I have not experienced in other hotels. It is the bedding and towels which are perhaps not washed in the ‘industrial' type of detergent but some sort of new fresh scent detergent. Once this hits the hot dryer, the man-made chemical is embedded in the fabric. Thankfully, the windows were able to be opened to air the room day/night. With my scent issues, I am not sure if we will return. This is too bad as the hotel has good value for money spent.

Enjoyed our stay. It was clean and all the staff were friendly and helpful. Convenient location for us as we don't like driving into the city. The pool was fun pool and the breakfast was hot and lots of variety.

Once again the hotel did not disappoint. From the clean interior and exterior of the building to the friendly staff at check in/out. The rooms were quiet and comfortable with our requests being met on the location and floor. The breakfast has a great selection of food to choose from with something that should meet almost everyone's needs. Our daughter loved the pool and water slide. Although sadly the hot tub seems to have been drained and refilled on the Friday of our stay so even on Saturday it was only luke warm, but not anything that took away from our stay.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. We were supposed to be there for 3 nights but we checked out early because we didn't want to be there anymore. This hotel seems very dated, although based on other reviews I don't believe it is all that old. Rooms were dirty. The carpet was filthy and there was a big wrinkle right through the middle of the room where the carpet was lifting. The duvet cover was stained. The water in the shower was either boiling hot or freezing cold. It was impossible to find the right temperature. There were not enough towels for 4 people. There were no easily accessible outlets to charge your phone. The pool seemed to be the cleanest hotel pool that I have seen in quite some time. Too bad they didn't put more effort into keeping the rooms as clean as the pool. The hot tub was broken and taped off and I suspect the line about, "it should be fixed tomorrow..." was a lie but i could be wrong. The breakfast was very unappetizing and the pancake machine was broken. The toast was fine and there was lots of seating. They were very accommodating with our desire to check out a day early. When I did go to check out, the woman at the front desk was on the phone with the hotel manager and refused to put her boss on hold. I had to wait an unreasonable amount of time for her to end her call. The woman seemed very overwhelmed by talking to her boss and dealing with a customer at the same time. This hotel is closely located to a lot of major roads and there are lots of dinning options nearby and other amenities. The pizza place in the parking lot was good but the service was slow.

The actual hotel stay was good, but when I returned home, I discovered that I had been charged twice on my credit card. Took three phone calls to the hotel and a complaint to BW to get the matter resolved. Hotel staff advised me twice that they would look into the double billing and get back to me, but I never heard back. BW Customer Service did get back to me after the extra charge had been reversed, but offered no explanation as to why it happened and seem to believe the hotel had contacted me (which they hadn't). I travel to Edmonton 4-5 times per year and have stayed at this hotel twice since December. Had the extra billing not occurred, I would have stayed here again, but the customer service I received left me disappointed, so I'm going to try other hotels in the area.

We stayed here for one night to celebrate my son's birthday. The room was clean and well kept. We booked a business suite. The suite was very roomy. There was a fridge and a microwave. The pool is not that bad but a tad bit on the smaller side, there were about 15 teenagers using the pool and slides so we did not enjoy the pool which was unfortunate. Hot tub was okay.

We have been using this hotel for many years and have been fully satisfied with almost all aspects of the service provided. Rooms and all facilities are clean and generally maintained in good condition. The staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is adequate and there is a good selection of items.

We stayed here for a hockey tournament. The rooms were clean and up to date. The breakfast in the morning was hot with lots of options. Pool & waterslide were great, but got little hectic with 6 hockey teams staying at the hotel. Would definitely stay here again.

Our room was very clean and spacious, the breakfast was full of choices, and the service was friendly. The only thing that put a kink in our stay, was that the ice machine on our floor wasn't working. (Exceptionally good pillows for the price of the room, too!)

We stayed at the Best Western Plus South Edmonton Inn & Suites for one night. The room was clean and the bed (King) comfortable. The hotel has a hot tub and a pool with a water slide. The breakfast was very good with lots of choices. Easy access to and from the main highway. Great place to stay when visiting Edmonton.

One of the two worst hotel experiences that I have ever had. Hotel had no hot water but I was not informed of this until check in after a 5 hr drive with 3 kids and my husband flying all day. They said one boiler was working so they sent me to my room and if the hot water wasn't working they told me to come back to the front desk to get another room. Sure enough after lugging my 2 month old in his car seat through the hotel with 2 other children by and some luggage by myself the water was Luke warm. Went back to the front desk to complain and get a new room. After complaining at the front desk that rooms should have been checked before being sent there and that I was tired from driving all day and dealing with three kids alone, an associate hauled out a list that indicated which rooms supposedly had hot water according to a contractor!! To my relief there was a room on the main floor just like the one I reserved available with hot water. The associate went to the room checked it out herself and confirmed it was true and helped me lift some of my stuff to the new room. After she left, I tried the water myself to make sure the water was working, sure enough no hot water!! Back to the front desk again!!! They offered to send us to thier sister hotel close by but we had booked this hotel room for thier water slide which the new hotel didn't have. And after this terrible service I wanted nothing to do with this hotel chain. I booked a new hotel room in a hotel with a water slide on the west end of the city in thier lobby while waiting for my boyfriend to show up after a long day of travel. Needless to say he was not happy with such service and arriving to a hotel to a tired family and frustrated girlfriend, tired himself from travelling all day. So much stress, physical labour carrying luggage and dealing the three children by myself all day caused me to have a meltdown! We finally arrived at our new hotel about 5 pm after more driving with rush hour traffic. I am now inquiring about them possibly sending my sons mittens back to me since they were left somewhere there due to all the mass confusion and switching rooms etc in that hotel. The only reason why I gave this hotel a second star is because thier rooms look very nice.

Stayed 2 night and no hot water either morning. Line up at front desk was so long it was impossible to deal with them unless you wanted to spend 2 hours waiting in line but we had to get to the events we were there for. Some of our group did get to the front desk to complain but little was offered. BW will be on the bottom of my return list.

Great Hotel whose staff would treat you like royalty to ensure you have the best possible stay with no problems.I travel on Business, so the Hotel's WiFi is very important to myself, in which I have had no problems.The Morning breakfast is one of the best I have ever had, great selection and layout.Overall, 5 start rating.

This property was excellent. Good location (accessible to the main thoroughfares), breakfast was included, the pool area was great for kids and the rooms are well appointed and very comfortable (with mini-fridges and microwaves in each suite). Would definitely recommend this to other Edmonton travelers.

Good value in South Common. There are quite a few accommodation options in this area of Edmonton but we found the Best Western very clean with good facilities. The beds were amazingly comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was one of the better hotel breakfasts we had on our trip. Our main concern was the amount of waste. Paper cups wrapped in plastic, plastic items wrapped in plastic, all the cutlery is plastic or disposable. Really unnecessary environmentally damaging.

Close to airport and just off the main highway connectors - #2 and henday freeway. Will have this hotel on my "always stay list" for ever.

Room was decent for the price . Best part of the hotel was the waterside and complimentary breakfast. Girls at front desk were pretty helpful as well.Beds were comfortable but bathroom had hair in the tub which wasnt from us which was gross and shower curtain way too short for tub and water got everywhere

My boyfriend and I stay here every time we travel to Edmonton. The rooms are always clean and comfortable! The staff are extremely accommodating and friendly! There is a bit of an annoyance with kids running up and down the halls at night, but it wasn't too noisy. We understand it's a family friendly hotel and this is something that would occur with sports teams or families staying in the same place as us. The breakfast is okay, nothing spectacular. The room was a bit small to accommodate all the guests coming and going, and we ended up taking our breakfast up to our room instead. Overall, it is always a pleasure to stay here and we will continue to stay here when we come to Edmonton.

I stayed at this hotel because of business and I happen to be a loyalty member.I had to call the front desk twice in regards to extremely loud kids running up and down hallways till 11:30 at night, banging doors etc.My complaints didnt seem to make any difference, and felt like they didn't care.

I stayed here while attending a meeting in Edmonton. I used my air miles to pay for the room so I can't comment on the price. I ended up checking in early as my meeting ended quickly. At other hotels such as Delta this was never an issue if the room was available and I was never charged extra. However, here they charged $15 to check-in early despite the fact it was mid-week and the hotel looked quite empty. Then they needed to "check with the supervisor if I could go to my room." I would have just left and checked in later but it was around noon and I had work to complete. The room was comfortable and the wireless internet was free and had good strength and speed. The pool and hot tub were great to relax in. Breakfast was average but free. And to end it all off there was only decafe coffee in the room. Overall it was an okay stay and probably a good option for families.

Excellent accomodations at a reasonable price. We were only in our room for about 15 minutes when the phone rang. It was the desk checking to make sure every thing was satisfactory. That is a first for me. Thank you.

Convient. Friendly staff. Free breakfast that is adequate. Great rooms, comfortable beds and very nice decor. Parking is a little tight. The kids love the pool with the slide. The hot tub was down the whole stay so we did not get to use it this time.

My wife and I decided to obtain some hotel rooms to accommodate our out of town family at Christmas . We have booked rooms at this hotel a number of times in recent years . We called the hotel directly and have always found the service to be very professional and courteous . The pool , rooms , and breakfasts are all excellent . We will use this hotel again

This hotel is in a ideal location really close to great shopping. The hotel it's self is very clean well kept rooms and the staff are fantastic. They serve a hot breakfast in the morning and they also have a wonderful pool with a water slide that kids just love. We stay at this hotel every time we come to Edmonton. As I said before it has great shopping and restaurants near by.

Leaking ceiling in bathroom for 3 days, no (adequate) fix. No new room, no discount. No pool towels for 4 days straight (had to keep asking at front desk). Hottub out of order/not working properly 3 out of 4 days

Hotel was clean and staff were very friendly. Pool and waterslide were very much enjoyed by the kids. Staff were eager and willing to help at all times. Continental breakfast in the morning was very good and selection was very kid friendly.

If you can avoid dealing with the particularly rude front desk lady, by all means, do it. Save yourself the hassel, and stay at the Sandman in the same parking lot. I do not enjoy leaving negative reviews, but our trip was soured because of the poor cutomer service.

The room was great for our family. Clean and the beds comfortable. The pool is perfect for families and especially the kids. The staff were very good to us and very friendly. We would definitely come back again as it is a good price.

Decent rates, reliable and consistent quality of property and rooms always clean. Beds are comfortable, plenty of parking and located close to lots of restaurants, shopping and entertainment venues. Breakfast usually very busy.

Central booking and the hotel staff directly made our stay easy and comfortable. Our proximity to the hospital made it simple to spend time with our son during his stay. Thank you to best western for being so accommodating.

It was mostly good but the rug in our room looked quite dirty and the bedding on the sofa bed was not very nice. Old and worn looking. Lack of towels- l I know it was a busy weekend for the hotel but there should have been a better effort in ensuring there were towels for the swim area.

Everything was great. Spacious room, comfortable bed, clean and quiet. Courteous and friendly staff. Nice breakfast and convenient location. All for very reasonable rate. I will be back next time travelling to Edmonton. Only complaint was freezing rain but pretty hard to do anything about that! LOL

Had the best stay I have ever had in a hotel! Beds were very comfy and the room was clean and modern. Staff were friendly and efficient. Will be staying at this hotel again, one of my new fav hotels in Edmonton!!!

We stay at BW very often, this was the worst so far. Saturday night, super busy, the front desk agent is alone and there is a 6 people line up to check in. She refuses to upgrade us although we are diamond select, says it's full so I have to argue with her to get it. And I do because shocker, it was not full. Asked for a playpen for my infant (on the reservation). I was told sure, will send housekeeping. Well 3 hours later, we find out they are out of playpens and now we have to change rooms because we need a second bed. At 8 pm I had to pack up a kid and an infant and change rooms. Worst service so far, unfair for the desk agent.

Decent hotel - rates are the most attractive feature. Have stayed here a few times over the years, located close to a few restaurants that you can walk to. Have to walk through the lobby to get to pool. This time had to get the towels from front desk - not sure what that was all about. Rooms were large. High humidity- windows were foggy and was a little musty. All in all it was a good place. Breakfast was decent.

This was our first visit to this hotel and it was perfect!! We paid $112 (tax included) and had a king size bed, sofa, and two chairs. There was a desk and chair, coffee maker, microwave and fridge. The bathroom was really nice. The room was very clean and modern. and wifi was easy to access and fast to use. Breakfast was delightful; there were so many "extras": Special coffees, fresh yogurt, beautiful berry fruit salad with peaches (not the run of the mill fruit salad). There were excellent hot choices as well as the usual things expected at breakfast. The pool/slide/hot tub were clean and quiet while we visited. It was no problem to have a late check-out at 1pm. We were very pleased with our experience and will be back when we need to stay again on Edmonton's South side. :)

Booked this room for a get together with my high school friends and they loved it! Breakfast had lots to choose from and staff were awesome and very helpful. Loved it.....Plan to stay here again soon.

If you are looking for just a regular hotel room that is clean with excellent friendly staff this is the place to stay. We had a king room with sofa bed and pleasantly surprised with the size of the room. The shower curtain could be a bit longer as water does get all over the floor. And you have to stop at the front desktop get towels for the pool but those are only minor issues.

This hotel does everything well. Rooms a good enough, clean enough, comfortable enough. Service is good. Breakfast is decent. There's nothing here that makes anything stand out from other hotels. No above and beyond service or fixtures. Just all OK. Can hear people walking above your room or in the hallways... a bit noisy at times. Housekeeping could be more attentive, but rooms are clean.

It's a very clean hotel with excellent staff there to help u with anything u need, they have excellent hospitality to their guests. They will go above and beyond for there guests to keep coming back to there hotel.

Easy check-in and the hotel has great amenities. Good selection at the hot buffet style breakfast that is included with the stay. Did not use the pool but it looks like the slide is a hit with the kids.Easy access to shopping and main arteries. Good pizza place next door, haven't tried the steak house that is also close by, maybe next time.

We stayed there a week ago after checking out many hotels. It was the best hotel I have found in the Ecmonton area. Room was very quiet, spacious, great sleeping, helpful staff, good breakfast and excellent location. The ring road around the city is less than 5 minutes away...a major plus. I will not waste time looking for anywhere else.

The hotel has a very nice atmosphere and is perfectly situated in Edmonton. We would have come back here if it wasn't because of the airconditioning. That made so much noise that it kept us awake the entire time. All in all very nice except for the Manager, Beth. We asked her not to raise her voice as it was being rude to guest. She came back at us with even louder voice defending her actions but not even apologising. Her rude behavior was inexcusable and she should have been embarrassed to treat customers like that .

Our trip was very good, the drive up from Calgary was nice. The weather was great. Our stay at BW was very nice, the staff were very helpful and friendly. Two of us were in Edmonton on business for two nights. We elected to stay at this hotel because of its pricing. We were pleasantly surprised upon check-in to receive room upgrades. The staff here are very friendly. The rooms are clean and modern and roomy. The included breakfast was quite varied and had something for everyone. We were very pleased with our selection.

Wonderful stay for our family with 3 girls. Pool was not too busy even with full hotel. Breakfast was the regular full slate with lots to choose from and fruit was fresh. All staff welcoming and helpful

The hotel is beautiful, if you are a Rewards member they follow all of the incentives and options for a member. The rooms are updated and modern, and the breakfast's are nice and comfortable. Didn't try the pool or hot tub but everything else was perfect.

After spending 10 hours driving to maintain or rental property in Edmonton; with my 10 month old, 7 and 9 year old girls. I had accidentally booked the wrong weekend at this hotel; that I booked as a treat for my older daughters helping me clean. They had looked forward to a waterslide but all the hotels were completely booked. The front desk staff went above and beyond. Helping me to find a room at the TownPlace hotel for Nov 10-11 and even offered to let my girls use the waterslide during our short stay. I am very grateful for the outstanding service provided to me and my family; And look forward to my next trip to Edmonton with my girls. Thank you for all your help and your exceptional service.

I travel to Edmonton regularly. I now stay here regularly. I bit out of the way, but worth it. Bed is one of the best in any place I've stayed. I get upgraded due to loyalty program, so the room had a jacuzzi style tub, which I actually used. Wow, was great. Room is clean. Small gripe about road noise, perhaps staying on the "other side" is a way to go.

We were very impressed with this hotel it's very nice and welcoming when you walk in the front stuff was friendly, the beds were very confortable, breakfast selection was great. Great value for price that we paid. We will be back.

Our stay was very nice. We booked by phone and spent the night out. There was no problem checking in at a late time and were given a late checkout without hesitation or extra charge. The rooms were very clean and the breakfast was awesome!

Booked 2 rooms, either adjoining or next to each other and I requested a crib/playpen for a newborn. Didn't get anything I asked for even though I was told it was not a problem. Not happy!!!! The rooms ended up at apposite ends of the 3rd floor and I had to make a bed for the baby in the stroller!

Stay at this hotel on a regular basis. Front desk is always helpful & friendly, rooms clean and beds set up for a good night's sleep. Handy to everything on the south side like South Edmonton Common and airport. For Pasta lovers, Royal Pizza is in corner of parking lot, A White Spot restaurant is across the street

Beautiful room with super soft face cloths. Great breakfast and a very kind breakfast host. Food selection was perfect. Front desk staff were very pleasant as well. Comfortable bed and room. Enjoyed it!

I discovered this location during my last business trip in Edmonton.The area is well located in md way between the airport and down town Edmonton.It is also close to a vast choice of restaurants and shopping centers.

My family and I love staying at the best western plus south Edmonton. The kids have so much fun in the pool and going down the slide. We love waking up to the continental breakfast and of course we love the king size bed the only downfall would be their pillows they were not comfortable and I woke up with neck and shoulder pain, but other then that the staff are so friendly and helpful and we never want to leave from there. Thanks best western for always putting a smile on our faces.

Clean room, great pool with water slide/hot tub, very good breakfast included. Fast and friendly check-in, good location close to South Common. Great choice if you are looking for something in the south end.

Usually my stay is really nice here and - I stay her for work, but I am going again next week and now staying at their competitor behind them at the sandman because of the last stay last week October 2018. I stayed there the first night - tub shower wasn't clean had long black hair all over the walls of the shower and around the soap dish, I have blond hair. I mentioned it in the morning just asked them to make sure it is cleaned as I am working a long day in Edmonton. I worked and finally got back after 10:30 pm - long working day. When back in the room had to go to the bathroom. And as I was in there i noticed all the same black hair exactly where I told them it was around the soap dish in the shower. then to top it off the toilet wouldn't even work- no water at all. I then mentioned to the front desk, they were able to switch me to a new room. This is now at almost 11:30 pm, I am backing up all my stuff to switch rooms after an 18 hour shift of work. Then unpacked in new room. In the morning I mentioned, it was a bit of a gong show. They stated that the room must have been some of the toilets they were fixing sorry you were placed in it yesterday. I mentioned it was working as I checked 2 days ago and was fine. They were polite and apologized. I thought they might credit something - but no. After the inconvenience I am booking somewhere else just 10$ more a night to not have the massive inconvenience again.

A very enjoyable stay as usual with BW+ . As usual everything went smoothly from the first appearance outside to the pleasant surroundings inside. This motel is typical of the chains quality. Wouldn't hesitate to return and stay again.

Friendly staff, that was very helpful and let us check-in early. The room was clean and quiet and served our purpose. The breakfast was very good and the dining room was extremely clean. I will stay again one day.

The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The kids had a blast in the pool. We were very happy that the meeting room was available to be used for a common area for family to gather during this difficult time. Hotel was clean and welcoming. Great for families! Our kids had an absolute blast at the pool and waterslide. The pool is nice and warm and the hot tub was also great!! Breakfast was also top notch (three types of eggs, two types of sausage, bagels, pancakes, toast, baked goods, juices, coffee, hot chocolate, fruit and yogurt, and the list goes on).

I stay at this hotel on a regular basis. It is a nice, clean, quiet hotel with immediate accessibility to South Common area of Edmonton. On my previous stay there I had complained about the size and quality of their tv's. The next time I stayed there I was pleasantly surprised to see big, new television sets. Their breakfasts are quite good however they could learn a little from their sister hotel in Stony Plain. The only complaint I would have about the hotel is the amount of time it takes to get hot water out of the tap. Turn it on, go for dinner and by the time you get back you might have hot water. If they are on a water conservatory program it is all lost on the amount of water wasted to get hot.

This was the second time I've stayed here. Both times have been frustrating with inconveniences that just shouldn't happen. We checked into the room on a quiet Monday night. The wall mounted vac was blowing air. Despite making adjustments we could not get it to turn off. Repeatedly I tried to call the front desk for assistance but it was obvious I was being ignored. There were even calls where the phone was answered and immediately disconnected. Because it was late we gave up, had a disruptive sleep and won't be back

Work trip. It was the quietest hotel I can remember in recent years. Busy breakfast lounge with fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, pancakes, sausage, juices. it's just off the highway when you come in to the city from the south. Lots of big box stores and outlet stores. I thought it was a very good value for the money. They also have a alter slide and hot tub area.

The room was lovely, well-decorated, and very clean. The service was excellent. My tub stop didn't work properly and they had it fixed in minutes. The staff could not have been more welcoming when I arrived. I noticed that the fitness room looked well-appointed and the pool very inviting, and plan to use both of those on my next visit. My only complaint was breakfast: I was surprised and delighted to see they offered fresh fruit, but it had been marinated in seven-up or some other sort of pop, I assume, and didn't taste much like fruit. Also, instead of fresh coffee, they have an automated coffee machine of the kind that always makes me feel like I just got a mouth full of chemicals. Mind you, they had a fresh coffee dispenser in the lobby so one could take a real coffee into breakfast.. Or, come to think of it, I could bring a fresh coffee down from my room.Other than those breakfast items, I consider it a very good place to stay.

The front desk staff was very cheerful and friendly. Everything was wonderful. Comfy beds, quiet hotel! We had two adjoined rooms. I was in the King room with friends in the 2Q room. I slipped out for breakfast and came back around 9:30 to find my room open and the maid in cleaning the room. The doors between rooms were slightly ajar and my friends were still sleeping. We were checking out that morning but check-out was not until noon. She asked me if I wanted her to stop cleaning and I said of course, we aren't checking out yet. I called the front desk and they apologized but in my many years of travelling, I have never had anyone come in to clean my room on my check-out day before I left. It was at a time like this that I realize how a room can be not cleaned properly.

We stopped here for just one night on our way down to Calgary - we would have loved to stay longer! Our suite was fabulous and incredible value for money. The complimentary breakfast buffet was a fabulous touch with a great selection. We found the staff (particularly front of house) to be very attentive, friendly and welcoming. Parking was convenient and so handy to the airport. Hotel is very modern and very clean in a great location!

From the professional check in process to the clean and quiet rooms to the friendly breakfast room lady, I've become a regular guest here. Usually business,'it's a very clean and modern property. I'd recommend this location to any type of traveler looking for execellent value for their travel dollar!

This is a wonderful hotel. We use this hotel often when flying in and out of Edmonton and also for a getaway location. We find it very clean and the staff friendly and accomodating. That's all I have to say about that !

Hot Water Sept.15 -NONE even after running 4-5 minutes. DID NOT SHOWER. Do you realize you can save a lot of money by putting in circulating system. NO WAKE CALL for 5AM. The room charge was to be delivered by 4AM, did not happen!! We were to be provided a breakfast TO GO!! Again no follow through. YOUR MANAGEMENT and verifications systems need to be audited. I will Not Stay at this property again.

I have asked my Maintenance Team to take a look at the hot water problem in the room you occupied and it is a bit odd that he found nothing. It may have been just too slow to heat up at that particular morning as there were no other complaints received from other guests. I would like to assume that if it was our boiler that had a problem, the entire hotel would not be having hot water during that day. Nevertheless, thank you for bringing this to my attention so my Maintenance Team can take a further look and monitor the situation. With regards to the other issues, I have spoken to my Night Auditor and she deeply apologize for this mistake. However, the breakfast to go bags were prepared for you but you opted not to take it. Use to Best Western. It met my expectations. Desk staff was friendly and did their best to help: I had reserved two nights, seperatly. They corrected everything and gave us a room earlier than what is ruled. That was really appreciated. Lended us a broom for the snow, didn't have one.

We stayed here for 3 nights. Room was cleaned every day, putting in an extra touch for my daughters stuffies. The breakfast was normal best western breakfast. The pool had to much chemicals but they were trying to fix that. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful.

Bad experience, Bedding and pillows had hair and sheets didn't look too clean. Took pictures and showed it to front desk. Lady was pleasant apologized gave me another pillow case and asked if i wanted to move but was too tired. Went back to room only to.find 2 flies waiting for me. Was too tired to move or go back to front desk as a result was up till late fighting flies. Could wait to get out of there. Front desk lady in the morning wasn't so helpful. Overall not a pleasant experience.Not booking there again. SORRY!!!

It was very Clean, Very Nice place to stay! It was very affordable & the staff was great. We would stay there again for sure! Close to everywhere we needed to go. It was perfect for us. And the breakfast had a ton of options to choose from, one of the reasons we always choose Best Western!

Very clean and comfortable. Great breakfast and very helpful and pleasant staff. A Restaurant that was close by had good food and good craft beer . The pool and waterside would be much appreciated by families. Good desk to work for business people.

Recently spent a weeknight here as a stopover before flying out. Front desk was excellent. Rooms were clean and spacious. We could hear some outside and hallway noise but it wasn't a big deal for us as it was minimal and intermittent. The kiddos had fun in the pool, though they said the water was cold...it didn't stop them from going in, however. Good selection of hot and cold foods at breakfast. Location was great..amenities nearby and an easy 15 minutes to the airport. Would defintely stay here again.

I would ask questions before booking a room here, or see if the Sandman (next door) or Hamptons (across the street) have vacancy. Rm 209 (King suite with jetted tub) had holes in the curtain, the shower curtain was not on properly, and when we used the Jets in the tub weird black pieces came out of the Jets.

My stay was quick but excellent. The service at the front counter when I arrived was friendly and I received a call once in my room to check everything was in order. The room was in good clean condition and check was quick.

This Hotel is in close proximity to the Edmonton International Airport. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, nice and quiet. Breakfast was good with a good selection. Check in and check out was fast and easy.

Highly recommend this hotel. It is new and very well kept. Rooms are very clean and there is an added bonus of breakfast in the morning. Great for shopping in the South end of Edmonton or catching a plane.

I was attending a training seminar in South Edmonton. A search of hotels in the immediate area provided many options but the Best Western had the best price and value for the dollar. I have minimal expectations but found that this hotel is the right balance of quite and convenient for the business traveller and fun for families traveling.

We have stayed at the hotel previously - and the hotel was as expected and provided services as expected - however, had a little problem on check-in as the front desk staff were not able arrange billing - although the next night at another Best Western were with no problem.

This hotel never disappoints. Always clean and comfortable, staff friendly. Always affordable with a good breakfast. Our family always stay here while in Edmonton. My children enjoy the pool and water slide. My husband enjoy the hot tub.

We recently spent several days at this hotel. We were looking for a place with included breakfast and water slides for our grandchildren. Best Western met our needs perfectly. The staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and well appointed. We enjoyed the included breakfast. Lots of choice and very well stocked. We will be back!

The location and condition of this hotel was amazing, but the front desk service was terrible at check in. We waited for 20 mins for someone to show up and then another 10 mins in line. Never has it ever taken 30 mins to check in to a room

Yes,Room 311 first entry to the room it had a BAD smell ,and very stuffy.The AC was not that good either ,to hot or to cold and the window had no mesh guard so you could not open the windows,if you did you would let the mosquitos in,we told them about it ,but all they said was okay and it end Wright there .The beds where also absolutely terrible in that room is two queen beds ,but both of them very bad .The front of house people where awesome when we booked in ,and they took my money for the room then everything changed ,they started becoming rude and defensive trying to make it look like we a the problem and there is nothing wrong with our stay at their hotel,When we left my wife told them how bad the room was (311) and the woman in front was very rude .I am a best western member and IWill never returning to this hotel again or any of them .

We have stayed at this Best Western numerous times. The reason why you might asked, the staff is very welcoming, friendly and very polite staff. The hotel is well maintained and very clean. I would definitely recommend my friends and family to stay here.

The hotel was okay, the parking was adequate, location easy enough to find, the front desk staff was pleasant. We only had one towel in our bathroom, so we did have to go back to the front desk to ask for more towels (for a two day stay). The room was good enough, clean and comfortable but starting to look worn and dated. We had the air conditioning unit set at 65 degrees (it was warm and smoky in the area so the air circulation was necessary) and after a few hours it would kick out and reset itself to 85. So every time we left the hotel to go somewhere, we would come back to a hot room. It would also do it overnight so you would wake up hot and uncomfortable.

Clean, quiet and perfect for a family. Loved the fridge and microwave access. Shower was a little pitiful but aren't all hotels. Great breakfast served every morning. Pool was small when it got busy but still lots of fun. Water slide was too scary for toddler as it is all covered in so very dark. We will be staying here again

this is my favourite hotel to stay when I'm in Edmonton. The hotel is clean, close to great shopping and fantastic restaurants, as well as to Cineplex. The rooms are clean and well equip. The staff is always very welcoming. I highly recommend this hotel.

Clean and comfortable rooms and surroundings. Friendly courteous staff. Great breakfast selections. Only concern - $15 early check in charge. Doesn't make sense for an hour and a half. Will stay there again.

My wife and I stayed at this Best Western for two nights while visiting family in Edmonton. When we checked in the people at the front were very helpful, The Room they gave us was right beside the Elevator and ice machine. I went back down to the desk and asked for a room farther from the elevator. They changed the room no problem. The King bed was very comfortable and the pillows were nice and soft overall a very comfortable room it even had a fireplace and jetted bath tub. They room we had was very clean and rather large. I thought that maybe with the room facing the parking lot and highway it would be noisy. It was nice and very quiet. We had an issue with the bathroom and when I brought it up with Lana the GM they dealt with it ASAP. When i spoke with Ahila at the front desk she personally came to the room to she what was wrong and no notify the right people so we could get the issue dealt with. As I have said in other reviews its not the problem that concerns me but how the hotel deals with it. Lana and her team were great! The Breakfast was really good. Lots of options for eggs, sausage, french toast etc. They changed it up daily so it was always different. Lots of parking and easy to get to right of Highway 2 north. I would definitely stay at this Best Western again.

Room was clean and quiet. Bed was comfortable, breakfast was good. The only thing that bothered me was the vending machines (not operated by Best Western) were broken. Staff said they had been trying to get the vendor to fix them and had been waiting on it for a while. There were 3 broken machines when i searched for a working one. I suggest Best Western simply replace the vendor with a reputable one.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel. The rooms are clean and well kept. Staff were friendly and accommodating. I was so impressed with one front desk staff....I had a horrible migraine and needed advil. The vending machine was out and I was talking to my self out loud saying "oh no, they are out of Advil" she heard me and said "hold on, I have some in my purse". Saved me the time of going out to a store also. I have never had such a great experience. Thank you Allison for you kindness. I will definitely be staying here again.

Room was not cleaned, reported to front desk, but no action was taken, even though I was told they will send someone to clean the room. It was already 5:00 pm with my kids tired after a long day, an no cleaning service was provided. It appears priority is given to rooms required for check in than current guests. Really disappointing.

Yje only thing about the hotel i did not like was having to wait atvthe front desk for pool towels. They also do not follow their own rule of adults only at 9 pm. I guess they expect the guests to yell at each other.

Dear cblhodge, Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay with us. I do apologize for the inconvenience of having to take the pool towels from the Front Desk. We are currently having a pool towel shortage and until our shipment comes, we need to make sure that all guests will be given one if they need it. Also, this way, we can get them immediately to the laundry and get it ready for the next guests. Our pool hours are from 6am to 10pm and a quiet time from 9:30pm to 10:30pm. Kids are still allowed until 10pm but the water slide is turned off at 9:30pm. Thank you!

We were looking for hotel near, but not at, the airport, and this hotel fit the bill. Lots of restaurants in the vicinity for dinner, comfortable room, and good breakfast before 15-20 minute trip to airport.

We spent one night at the hotel and had our truck broken into in the parking lot. We spoke to two other customers who had the same thing happen. When asked for video footage at the front desk, we were told none was available and to file a complaint online with the police. When I asked a hotel worker if this thing happened often she said yes. We will not be staying in this area again.

What a great experience. Staff were awesome 5/5. Breakfast good 4.5/5 Extended our checkout, because they closed the pool for cleaning for 2 hours 5/5 Room rating for comfortability 5/5. Cleanliness 4/5.

Room and value were excellent. Location was perfect. Lots of restaurants around. Did have some trouble with wifi the first night but it did improve. Free breakfast was good. Staff was very friendly and accommodating

I was very unaware and disappointed that I couldn't take my well behaved 11 year old into the pool for the last hour of the evening. The info at the front desk says 9:30-10:30 is quiet hour, but not “no children allowed”. I assumed maybe the water slides would shut down at worst or just make sure there was no screaming or yelling (which my daughter doesn't do anyways). It made for a very disappointing evening as when visiting the city we often don't get in until late.

My wife and I were in town to take in a couple attractions that our young grandkids would enjoy and rather than travel home in between, we decided to stay in Edmonton for the night. We chose this hotel for it looked pretty new on the outside and was relatively easy to get to. Lots of amenities at location and easy access to QE2 north or southbound. We took in the continental breakfast and were happy with the choice. Lots of good things and staff was very friendly. Rate for the night was right in the ballpark with what we expected. I'd stay there again!

The room wasn't cleaned when we arrived, the beds weren't made, the tub wasn't cleaned and there were several dirty/empty cups and waterbottles throughout the room. Unfortunately, since the hotel was almost at full capacity we had her choice to have our king suite cleaned while we waited or move to a room with 2 queens. Luckily our boys used the waterslide while we waited from 7:30-8pm to have our room cleaned since our only choice was to have our king suite cleaned or move to one with 2 queens. Honestly, is the front desk girls weren't as amazing as they were, we would have just got a refund and went somewhere else. They even brought us a goody bag and profusely apologized for the error. Thank you to those 2 girls that worked Tuesday (July 24th) for making a bad experience into a greater one with your work ethic and customer service skills.

We had to go to Edmonton to take our son to the airport for a morning flight. We came down the night before and stayed at the Best Western South. We have stayed there many times before and even though it is getting older, it is always clean, the staff is pleasant and professional.

We enjoyed our stay at the best western in south Edmonton. The kids loved the pool and water slide, the rooms were spacious with comfortable beds and the breakfast was quite good. I recommend staying at this hotel especially if you have kids!

The staff and accommodations were great !!! The rooms were not lacking in anything and were very clean and tidy. The morning breakfast had a great selection. And the hotel was very local to highways, restaurants and shops

I stayed here as part of a training program for my work. I was put at the very end as far from the elevator as possible. I called immediately asking to be changed rooms. They were sold out so they couldn't do anything which is understandable. They said they could look into it tomorrow. I said I'm gone all day and they told me to ask again when I got back. So I did and I spoke to a supervisor named Beth. She said I'd have to wait for the next morning and get up earlier to move my stuff or have the housekeepers move it. I said I'm not getting up earlier than I have to and I didn't want anyone touching my stuff. She said they couldn't accommodate anything else since they had noone to clean the room and it wouldn't be sellable. I was not happy. If I was the supervisor I would clean the room myself if it helped a guess with their request. I guess going above and beyond isn't their thing. Also..not a fan of having to walk past front desk and the main doors to get to the pool. Not the smartest layout. The one consolation is the bed is comfy. Also..not a lot of food options within walking distance. Most things are in south common or ellerslie crossing. But you have to cross a major highway to get there. Otherwise your spending big money at CHOP with alright food or whitespot which is an average restaurant across the street. Oh and there is a Denny's..

It was the first time I have stayed here. The room was clean and the bed and pillows were very comfy. You can't beat the price. Will being staying there again. Breakfast had a great selection. I was very impressed.

Stayed here with my family during visit to Edmonton. The swimming pool and slide is always a hit with the kids and the staff are super friendly! When we come back to Edmonton, we will be staying here again

Bed linen is filthy, the sheet has quite a few yellow stains on it, and some hair was found on the sheet. the towels are old, not very impressed. Because this was an one night stay and I arrived hotel quite late, I did not ask front desk to switch rooms. I will try to avoid this hotel next time.

My family and I had a very regrettable experience dealing both the front desk staff and manager at this hotel. This is not indicative of the Best western chain of hotels, just this location. As a result we ended up not staying at this hotel due to their staff providing us misleading and inaccurate information based on room rates and availability. Front desk staff lacked genuine compassion given our circumstances and were unable to provide any additional information after we cancelled our reservation. If you wish to avoid stress, hassle, anxiety and a rather condescending tone of a manager, please avoid this hotel.

The pool and hot tub were under maintenance again, which seems to be every month when I go to Edmonton for work. The soap dish in my bathroom fell off the wall and broke my toe. When looking at the installation closely it appears there were many layers of silicone and that this was not the firs time it had fallen but proper fixing of it is not occurring. A porcelain soap dish falling on a baby toe is a very painful experience.

Best Western Plus Edmonton South is a fantastic motel. Great indoor pool with water slide, fitness center, breakfast, and great location. Maid service was great. Check in was efficient. It is a four star motel that should be rated a five star.

I travel for business and the Best Western Plus South Edmonton is always clean and the staff are very friendly. The location has great access and lots of parking. The breakfast has good variety and is well stocked and tidy.

The rooms are large and the beds are the best ever. Great staff. Location is handy for travelling anywhere in Edmonton easily and great shopping is just a 2 minute drive away. An improvement would be to have waffles instead of those tiny dry pancakes for breakfast. Love the choices of coffees. We have stayed here a couple of times before and it's always been a great experience. Clean, quiet, private, and convenience in one package.

It was a good hotel to stay, next to Chop steakhouse. The hotel was very clean, good breakfast. Towels were of good quality not hard like other hotels. Good overall. Front desk staff was very cooperative.

Friendly and accommodating service, easy access, comfortable and clean rooms, fantastic hot breakfast. Parking is somewhat tight depending on the day. Check in and Check out were quick and effortless.

A very nice clean and modern hotel. Priced reasonably and very helpful staff. We had a car issue and the staff helped us book a second night and arranged a late checkout! They were very helpful give our situation!

Close to airport, downtown and everything you need. Great staff and all the amenities. Wouldnt stay anywhere else when in Edmonton. Great for both business and families. With gym, pool and slides. Something for everyone.

Always a pleasure to stay at the Best Western Edmonton south. The staff are friendly and everyone is there they help you. The friendly hellos go along way when you're away from home. Please don't stop doing what you do and that is, make people feel at home.

our flight was delayed for 2 days and we given these rooms, rooms were good,, beds were soooo very comfortable,, restaurant down stairs was nice but a little pricey.... I would recommend to anyone .. the pool was a little small as well as the hot tub , but not crowded... staff very pleasant as well.

The bed was very comfortable, check in was easy, staff was friendly. The breakfast was one small detractor. The first morning everything was good, except they had served still frozen fruit. Everything else was good

Great breakfast and coffee included with the room, my son 12 year old son and his soccer team loved the pool and water slide, Staff were very accommodating , good location as well with close by restaurants

It is a hot buffet breakfast with over 23 choices. Also, our pool and water slide is one factor why we are famous with family and groups booking for the weekends. We look forward to your next visit.

Great value for price, friendly helpful staff. The front desk lady when checking in was very kind and knowledgeable. She was proactive in letting me know of bonus dollars and signed me up. Great job Maureen! Breakfast was a good variety.

Conveniently located to the outlet malls, tons of restaurants and the Ikea! Nice hotel, great waterslide, perfect hot tub, but pool was very cold. Also had a decent complimentary hot and cold breakfast.

It took a very long time to get our keys as the two people we came across just didn't seem to know what they were doing. Rooms are nice as was the breakfast. Just be prepared for it to take 15 min to get your keys.

Over all the stay was good like the 20+ others. this is the first time I have had a concern. I left the hotel and was only on the road 30 min when I realised I left a bag with purchases from the night before in the room. Called the hotel they said the would send someone to check and call me back. I called them after awhile they told me the housekeeping supervisor went up and found the empty bag? I will be more careful from now on.

front staff were friendly, breakfast was excellent, location was easy to find and close to main access points for traveling. Seems a little dated in spots but over all would go back again. We did not use the pool facility but looked ok.
