"Really unhelpful front desk staff"
The Hotel is clean and tidy. The issue is the front desk. Yesterday my wife called for some ice for the room and was told it would be sent. Half an hour later she called again asking where the ice was, only to be told the hotel had no ice. When we we were leaving for a meal later that evening the staff then told us, that the hotel did have ice but it was not for guests. We then asked for reception to call us a taxi. the first receptionist said yes she would call, only for a second receptionist to overrule he and say no. My wife & I then waled into the street to hail a taxi in the rain. This is to what I expect from a Best Western Brand. I am English & my wife is Colombian. I have never been treated like this before even in a lower star rating hotel. Incidentally my profession is building hotels & resorts. The front desk staff need to be trained correctly as they are the face of the brand. I would certainly not recommend this hotel

"A pleasant stay!"
I found the Best Western Hotel in Duitama to have excellent services and a comfortable room. Direct TV allowed me to watch international channels and the king size bed was very comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly and always greeted with a smile. I look forward to my next visit and the opening of their cocktail lounge.
"Vacation"
This was a really nice place to stay. The staff was friendly and addressed us by name. The room is clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good. The location is central. The only complaint would have been that there isn't an option for English subtitles with the TV. Also, the hotel states they are a Best Western and offer additional points for members but when contacting Best Western, they state they hotel is no longer associated with them and the hotel is not on the Best Western website. It was a very comfortable stay and I would recommend it.
