The hotel wasn't the worst I've stayed in, but was by far not the best. Noisy, rickety elevator, worn sofa and amenities in room, loud A/C, annoying motion sensing lights and fan in bathroom, and displaced feel in the room made this place uncomfortable.
Very clean and friendly hotel. Great breakfast. Close to a lot of places. Very beautiful area , wouldn't mind living in the neighborhood. Lots of activities close by. The staff are very hard working, very friendly. They always make you feel welcome, and comfortable. Will definitely stay again in the future.
Reserved 2 night stay using Besst Western Corporate reservation system. I was told since I was using the Rewards Night for 1 of my nights they would require a separate reservation for each night. When I got to hotel they said I was required to check-in for each night separately. When I tried to check in for 2nd night on the 2nd day I was told they did not have reservation, even though I had a paper copy of reservation and brought up my BW account and showed the active reservation on my cell phone. I did not stay a 2nd night after hours of back and forth. They wore me out.
The breakfast cooking staff went above and beyond to greet every visitor and even accommodated “special needs”. The food was incredible (them grits and eggs, whew!). Front desk staff were friendly, helpful, and highly professional! My room was immaculate and the mattress was super comfortable. I am definitely keeping this location on my radar for the next time that I'm in the area.
Extreme noise from the room above from 11:45pm to 3:00am. Shower door fell off while I was showering.
No access to load or unload bags at front door. Parking lot not lighted at night. Rooms in desperate need of upgrades.
At least two cars were broken into - windows smashed in one night while I was staying there. One side of the parking lot is completely in dark. Don't park there. It seems that the hotel is under renovation and the containers are in that side of the parking lot. The room was ok, though it could have been cleaner, and the wallpaper is sagging in places with age.
The hotel was wonderful, staff was great, hotel was clean, breakfast had many options, and even though the hotel sits right next to the interstate and our room was on interstate side we did not hear a bit of traffic. It was probably one of the best nights sleep in a hotel.
Pluses: comfy bed with good pillows. Spacious 2 room suite was decent price. Many choices for breakfast. Staff efficient & pleasant. Minuses: shower temp never got hot! Coffee in room & at breakfast wasn't very good. Decor is worn & tired looking.
Solid stay. Room seemed very clean. Breakfast was decent. Easy free parking. I liked the kitchenette. Would definitely be nice for an extended stay. Comfortable mattress. Shower and all plumbing worked well. The street noise was well blocked but we did hear a neighbor playing music one night. The front desk staff was not overly friendly but did their job with reserved politeness.
Everything was good, clean, safe and quiet. I stay at a lot of Best Westerns and have many to compare it to. Aubree was one of the best desk agents I ever encountered at check in. Will stay again if in the area.
The rooms were spacious. Lots of room to get around and put things. Nice kitchenette area. The freezer actually froze a bottle of water. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good. Bathroom was updated with rainfall showerhead.
Regina and Yvonne were the rudest women I have ever encountered. I will never stay at a best western again, I called corporate and they were no help. The was the worst travel experience I have ever had.
King ste room very clean! Aubrey at front desk was welcoming and friendly, and the woman in charge of breakfast room was amazing. She never stopped checking to refill, or clean tables. Staff amazing, hotel vey clean. Carpeting needs replacing, as do doors and refrigerator. Clean, but management needs to spend money on updating and replacing.
The only complaint I have is the breakfast room was too small to accommodate the number of guests that came to breakfast. The orange juice ran out and the coffee machine was out of coffee. They had a coffee pot so it was only the fancy coffee that was out. I don't think the attendant spoke english she was told more than once about the coffee machine.
Very well equipped and large hotel room with a sink and small refrigerator in the living room area. Comfortable bed and furniture in the room. Great breakfast with attendants who work very hard to make sure the guests are able to get in and get out of the breakfast area in a timely manner.
The mattress was so noisy when sat/slept on, we had to put pillows inbetween us so we would lay ontop of eachother during the night, the room stunk like mildew and there was mold in the shower area. To top it all off there was no food at breakfast when we went down at 9:30am, breakfast was from 7:30am to 10:30am, because they didn't order enough food for the amout of quests that stayed.
Grubby floor in the kitchen. Kitchen not stocked with glasses, pots etc. You need to go back down to reception to request these. Front desk staff did not seem adequately informed about BW promotions going on, despite a card at the desk.
The room selection was not available at time of check in and was not able to get what I requested and paid for. Room wasn't the cleanest. Bed sheets had a few spots blood on them and toilet had poop on the bowl. Not enough food made for guests at breakfast and not enough seating at all
We stayed here for a family funeral and reunion, and the staff was so compassionate and accommodating. We needed an early check-in for a couple of the rooms and late checkout, and they graciously accommodated us. We also rented the conference room, and it's location on the lowest level was perfect for easy access and privacy.
Stayed in a few hotels in the Cincinnati area over the past few months and this stay at Best Western has been the best. I'm planning on staying again very soon. Please try this hotel on your next stay.
Clean- very clean & fresh - big room- well equiped... comfortable ..fair pricing....great location .. i stay here often .. easy access to all of cincy & all my friends & family... great place to come back to at the end of my day
I was satisfied with the overall experience of the hotel upon answering guest services were very friendly. The housekeeping staff were friendly as well the morning breakfast was awesome and had a large variety of fruits and breakfast choices.
As a retired international flight attendant, I've stayed in hotels practically all over the world. There is something special about the Best Western Plus Hannaford Inn & Suites. Absolutely loved the accommodations, amenities, and location.
I've stayed at other hotels in the Cincinnati area in the past but was looking for a better place. I tried the Best Western Hannaford Inn this time and really liked it. The lobby is very pretty. My room was huge with a kitchen, sitting area, bedroom and walk-in shower. The air conditioning was good. The fridge, TV, and wifi all worked. The bed was very comfortable! Breakfast was very nice and included cheese omelets, sausage, French toast sticks, waffles, cereal, pastries, toast, applesauce, yogurt, bananas, apples, and juices (including cranberry). Only three negatives during my stay: there was a slight smell to the room (not a smoke smell), strongest in the kitchen area, the elevator was not working on the day I checked out, and the lady at check-in did not enter my rewards number. But I would stay here again.
The Best Western Plus is located in Kenwood about 10 miles from downtown Cincinnati. It is conveniently situated near I 71 so getting around is not a problem. There are many restaurants nearby and the Kenwood Mall has plenty of shopping. I was there for three nights. On the first night my room was on the side of the hotel facing the freeway and the freeway noise was quite irritating. I switched to the parking lot side for the next two nights and it was much quieter. My room was comfortable and I really enjoyed the great water pressure in the shower. The staff was friendly and I enjoyed my stay.
Stayed at this hotel June 22 2023. Staff is EXCELLENT! They truly exceeded expectations! We used the pool area which was nice, and equipped with a gas grill. Rooms were great, we stayed in a master bed suite. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Staff and housekeeping was friendly. The one bed was so loud with any movement. The highway noise kept me up every night. Tried running the fan continuously to block noise. Sounded like helicopters flying by any time a semi passed. Had to leave early due to highway noise.
Hotel was okay and is presently having work done, staff was nice but they seemed short handed, I give the breakfast an okay but not great. The bathroom was spacious and the shower was great. I am not sure if I would stay here again for the price.
After not being able to stay at florence, ky best western due to whole town with out of power, due to high winds. We came here. What a sparkling gem,the check- in receptionist"obe" was so pleasant. We'd been traveling all day, exhausted, tired, hungry. We asked about close restrauants. She offered some places close by. Such a pleasant person. I'd definitely give this dated and clean place a 10/10. Good management shows. Thanks for comfortable overnight stay.
The front desk attendees help me book all the way from Texas. Kind people, took the time needed to help and answer all my questions. We stayed , had breakfast and left. No issues, everything was pleasant.
We loved staying here for the first time. My family moved to the area and the ease of getting on and off I 71 was a bonus. Close to shopping and great food, especially Graeters. All staff were personable and Aubrey receives special mention for staying overnight to assure she could work the next day with anticipation of snow.
We had a fantastic stay! The suites are so spacious and comfortable. We have stayed here many times and have enjoyed each stay. The front desk staff are wonderful, helpful and accommodating. Sugar is awesome! Aubrey was also so helpful, especially considering the weather conditions before we arrived. Everyone on the staff seems courteous and professional. The location is fantastic, just a crossed the street from Kenwood Town Centre mall. We love the bathtub rooms at Best Western Hannaford. We hope the renovations will result in at least a few bathtub rooms. We would love to keep staying here in the future, but do prefer to have the option of a bathtub.
I'm very disappointed with this hotel. I based staying here solely off the google reviews. It had a better score and lower price, as well as the perfect location, so it seemed like an easy choice. Unfortunately, the lobby and elevator were dirty, and the TV nor the phone would work in the room. (I discovered the phone wouldn't work when I wanted to call about the TV.) We also discovered the the USB charging jacks next to the bed were broken. The guests above us were extremely loud the ENTIRE night, but we couldn't even ask the desk about it without dressing and going back down to the lobby (broken telephone). I was going to mention the issues to the desk clerk at check out but there wasn't a single person in the lobby and no one showed up after 5 minutes of waiting. Luckily the room seemed clean and the water pressure was good, but I would not stay here again.
Everyone at this hotel is awesome and helpful I love the location, it is close to everything kenwood mall, several restaurants and downtown. breakfast is very nice hot and cold food. They are renovating the hotel but it isn't an inconvenience.
The Hannaford has gotten a face lift and they have done a fabulous job! Rooms are fresh and clean and the bathrooms are completely updated. Highly recommend this hotel when staying in the Kenwood area.
This has become a regular place to stay when visiting my daughter. We have yet to encounter staff that was anything but pleasant. Decent breakfast. Comfortable rooms. Convenient location with many food and shopping options nearby.
I recently stayed at the Best Western Plus and very pleased with my stay! The hotel was clean, fresh, and very welcoming. The best part of my stay was the hotel staff. Because of my busy work schedule, I had the unusual opportunity to interact with the desk clerks in the early morning, mid-day, and night. Everyone I talked to was great and helpful. I do a lot of travel and this is truly an excellent property and will be in my "Places to Return" list. -Clyde W.
This Best Western was almost twice the price of a few of the hotels we considered (Super 8, Red Roof Inn), but we thought the Best Western brand might give us a little bit better of an experience to make the higher cost worth it. We reserved it online on our phone shortly before heading over, and the total cost was just over $130. It was in my husband's name, but we were paying with a credit card in my name, so that caused a bit of confusion, and I had to go back to the car to dig out my ID. I think that is kind of standard, so it wasn't a huge deal. We were in a bit of a hurry because we were in town for an event, but I guess the desk attendant needed to verify if our room was cleaned, so we had to wait several minutes while he went upstairs to do this. I asked for a quiet room, so they put us on a higher level than they originally intended. However, they gave us a room facing the highway, so all we heard was cars driving by all night. I'm not sure if there weren't any rooms available on the opposite side of the hall or if they didn't take road noise into consideration for my request. To top it off, something in the room beeped at midnight - maybe the microwave? We really had no idea. It startled us both fully awake, not knowing what it was. Additionally, there were not blankets on the bed, just sheets and a thin cover. I wonder if the room hadn't been completely turned over after all. I'm glad I brought my heating pad with me, or I would have been too cold at night. Some of the outlets in the room were unreliable or unfunctional. We left things charging overnight, but found that they hadn't charged when we checked them in the morning. There was a decent complimentary breakfast in the morning.
We stopped here overnight before heading farther NE. Everything was excellent: from check-in to our room to breakfast to check-out. The room was nicely laid out and we could move around easily. Another plus: there is a stop light at the entrance so we could turn left or right easily.
Great location. Near restaurants and entertainment. Right by a highway also. Enjoyed the travel. Wish it was finished because they were still renovating. And the parking lot needed some work also but in all a good little house away from home.
We had a weekend getaway to Kings Island for one night. The room was ready on time and very clean. The room is spacious and easy to maneuver. The front desk staff was very nice and pleasant. The breakfast was hot and fresh. It appears the bathroom was recently remodeled with a shower and light up mirror which we enjoyed.
The bathroom had a Great shower. Hotel had nice public areas, including a large breakfast area. Full hot breakfasts on weekends. The Room was comfortable and very clean. The bed was soft and saggy though. That was a major disappointment. We didn't discover the problem until late so we didn't want to move to a new room then.
The hotel staff, all of the staff from management, front desk, and house keeping were great in all aspects. The hotel is going through renovations, so it's expected that everything is not perfect, such as carpeting in the room. That shared, we would absolutely choose this particular hotel again if we were to visit Cincinnati. Recommend!
I always stay at this hotel, it gets better and better every time, something is upgraded every time I've come. The new bathrooms are gorgeous, and the staff always goes above and beyond. Can't wait to be back!
My wife and I visited this hotel recently. A very nice sweet . Seperate living room and bedroom. Very comfortable bed. Clean room. Large bathroom. Good breakfast. Quickly check-in and checkout. Plenty of parking. Nice outdoor pool. We will stay again.
We stayed for two nights along with our poodle puppy. King studio was well set up with full fridge and microwave and a good bed. The sink in the bathroom was cracked but did not leak. The bathroom taps were shaky but did work. There was nothing in the kitchen apart from fridge and microwave. There were cabinets but no dishes, pots, pans or utensils. The Pom was not overly clean and needs a desperate upgrading. The staff was okay and breakfast was adequate. Overall an acceptable but not great stay. There was almost nowhere to walk the dog on the property.
The staff was the most accommodating and friendly group of employees I have experienced in a long time. The were friendly and had a heart to serve in any capacity. We stated longer than expected and were made to feel like we were family! Thank you for the recommendations for travel, restaurants, shopping, ect. We had a great experience.
We were there for a family reunion. One member left the first night to another hotel. Our room was never clean, even though we asked 5 times. We never got towels until we asked 3 times. We asked for a wake-up call twice and never got one. Our smoke detector started chirping and was never fixed until I threatened to call the fire marshall at 11:00 at night. The bathroom lights are motion detected, so they go out when you take a shower. Just a terrible property.
A gorgeous room with some signs of age: The wall mounted TV with the old wall mounting holes still visible instead of patched and invisible. The lower tiles of the shower coming loose with chalking tinged with mildew. The good news, the hotel is being renovated and hopefully these small items will be addressed as work progresses. The staff was very attentive and friendly. In fact, when a longtime friend came to visit me, we were welcomed to stay in the breakfast area all afternoon, past checkout, while we caught up on each others' lives...!
We comfortably fit our family of 9 (7 kids) in the connecting king and queen suite rooms. We never imagined two rooms would fit us so well! The place was pretty clean and we enjoyed the pool too. At first it seemed odd that we'd have to walk across the parking lot to get to the outdoor pool, but the pool was actually very nice in an area with grass and trees. Also, although the bedding was comfortable, our mattress sunk in toward the middle, which was a bit uncomfortable.
I would avoid while it's being renovated. Parking very limited. Mattresses in the hallways. They had to check and make sure our room had one. I'm not sure if our room was renovated, but if it was I'd fire the contractor. Faucets turned the wrong way, messy caulk, loose mirror. Just a weird experience, but so many things are post-pandemic.
The rooms were clean although it is showing it's age. The bathroom tub is starting to rust a bit and the wallpaper was peeling. Bed and pillows was one of the most uncomfortable in a hotel I've had guessing from the age. Staff decided to start vacuuming the hall at 10 at night and didn't stop till we went out there to ask them to stop so our daughter could sleep
This used to be our go to hotel in Cincinnati and it just has not aged well. The bathrooms just didn't feel that clean, the walls were peeling and the pillows were tiny. The icing on the cake was at 10 o'clock last night the hallway outside our room was being vacuumed and multiple times the vacuum was pushed right up against our door. Management, please tell your staff to vacuum during the day, not when people are trying to sleep and have a 6 AM wake up call
Larry st the front desk was wonderful, nice polite and so very helpful. After that it goes way down hill. I was there 3 nights, for the Milwaukee Brewers games. left the sign on my room that says "PLEASE MAKE Up ROOM. Can no one there read English? 3 nights, never was my room cleaned! The bathroom sink did not drain, the bath tub did not drain. When I left for the day on Monday I was going to tell the front desk.No one was around at the desk! When I came back from the Brewers game on Monday night, no one was still at the front desk. Who is runny this hotel. Tuesday when I came from the Brewers game about 9PM, poor Larry was at the desk, He gave me towels which I had clean towels, no tissues, 1/2 rool of toilet paper and no extra so he had to get that also. no shmpoo, nothing! He even offered to make my bed. Which I said no thqt was okay. So Larry was the only GREAT thing that went my way at the hotelrp
Pillows the size of a small throw pillow and it's the only kind they offer. Room was dirty, elevator had oil all over walls, lobby reception staff not available and some guy taking out the trash was smoking weed. And to top off an already bad stay a guy was arrested from the hotel by 3 sheriffs at check out. Never again!!!!
I can for work for an extended stay and was welcomed by the staff. The hotel had a very friendly and social culture while the staff went above and beyond to help everyone out. I got to know a lot of other people staying at the hotel as well. So glad I had the chance to stay here for 4 months, it really was life changing
I checked into the BW Hannaford and had an amazing experience! The staff was so friendly and helpful and gave me great recommendations for food and things to do! I loved how this hotel is walking distance to the Kenwood mall! I will definitely be coming back everytime I'm in Cincinnati!
Love this property, very nice and recently remolded. The King rooms are especially roomy with a separate bedroom and living room. These rooms have full kitchens great for a longer stay. Kenwood is a great town and a super mall is just across the road.
It was a very nice comfortable place to stay very friendly staff and was very close to the mall and other places of interest and the commute to downtown was short. The staff made my stay very enjoyed by being super nice and accommodating
Everyone was friendly, Clean, helpful, and I liked that there was cameras everywhere. Also it was quiet never any partying or nonsense going on.I had my privacy yet if I needed anything they were more than helpful.
The staff was so nice. There were things left in the fridge and cabinets from previous guests tho. Fridge needed the front wiped down. The toilet was leaking onto the tile so I had to keep a towel around it. The size and quality of the actual room tho was great. Especially for the rate I was given. Would I stay here again? Absolutely.
Anna and Christina was so so so nice. The hotel is okay. Free breakfast and free parking. The elevator was so slow and I am afraid of elevators lol. The bed in my room was broken and cleaning supplies smell was overwhelming and I checked out earlier because the bed and smell. But the hotel was clean and no critters! I recommend it but I can't stand the smell. I am Sick and allergic to certain smells.
The list of things that went or were wrong is WAY longer than what went right. If you have the option to go elsewhere, please do so. We couldn't check in at the time we were told and were almost late to the rehearsal for our friend's wedding, which was the whole reason we were in town. There was old mascara on my pillow cases AND my sheets, a hole in the wall, one of the lights didn't work, mold and scum inside the shower, my toiletries HAD BEEN PREVIOUSLY USED and were not replaced, the showerhead was broken, the hallways stunk and the staff was nice but VERY understaffed. I'm pretty sure they aren't actually doing much cleaning or maintenance. Another wedding guest received a wake up call at 4:45 am that he did not order, the bathroom lights were broken so the staff put a LAMP in the bathroom without thinking how lamps and moisture go together, there were fruit flies all over the rooms and the pullout couches were barely holding on/broken or covered in old food and crums. I have never been so disgusted in all my life over these rooms and this hotel. Do I recommend it? I recommend you try Airbnb or another hotel and I also recommend this hotel gets its stuff together because it was DISGUSTING.
We came to Cincy for my daughter's bday and this location was perfect. My husband is a Diamond Select member so we redeemed our points to stay for two nights ahead of check in on Oct 4th. The two ladies who checked us in on Monday Oct 4th, would not allow us to check in since the reservation was in my husband's name. My husband then called customer service to have my name added and they sent him a 2 night room vouchers even though we had already redeemed our points ahead of this stay. No one knew what they were doing and they were extremely rude and not accommodating. My name was in the reservation notes as another name for the reservation.Upon check out, we had to call customer service again because the front desk would not take the vouchers. Such a debacle. Our room 106 appeared to have not been cleaned when we first stepped into the room. Bathroom toilet didn't flush properly and there was ring around the toilet. Hair and dust all over the sink. Hair in the one towel we had in the bathroom. We had one bath towel, one hand towel and no coffee amenities. We had to go to the front desk at 11pm. Felt like we were a bother to the manager on duty at the time. Trash wasn't emptied, fresh towels not provided. Myself and my husband called customer service 5 times during our stay to remedy the situation. Corporate BW needs to have a sit down with Bali and Yvonne about cleanliness and manners to it's employees. My husband has been staying at Best Western's for travel and leisure for several years. He is a Diamond Select Rewards member and we will Never again stay at a Best Western.
First room we were given mattress fell off bed when it was sat on, desk chair was ripped and broken, fell to floor when you sat on it and couch fabric was peeling off. Second room refrigerator was broken. Third room bathroom was moldy and air did not work. Picked this hotel for pool for kids tried to go to pool and it was locked and not sure when it would be opened, went to pool later and there were extension cords and wires in pool and around the concrete. This is a Best Western Plus should be a minus
Room very outdated, had to continually ask for fresh towels and tissue..No housekeeping garbage can overflowing is on u. Stains on floor. Holes on wall. Pictures of room online very misleading. On the other hand staff is nice.
The only real redeeming quality was the location, which was very convenient to family living in Madeira. However, we do not plan to stay here again. The rooms are very outdated and felt like they were falling apart. Pillows were small and lumpy. Check in was not efficient. Breakfast was cold only. My room had a small kitchen but nothing in it if you were looking to cook something.
Check-in and check-out at this hotel was just fine - front desk staff and reception are extremely nice and courteous, helpful, etc. Breakfast was very accommodating, lots of options. Those are the positives. The negatives: We stayed in room 206 which had a dripping leak at the window. This was reported to the front desk on the first morning of our 2 night stay. The 3rd floor was leaking water from the top of our 2nd floor window, dripping onto the window-sill, puddling and dripping down into the A/C vent. The room was not cleaned up, beds were not made during the stay, new towels were not provided in the bathroom the duration of the stay. Both of these things were disappointing. The leak issue with puddle was reported and never addressed. Our door did not close all the way; the deadbolt would not completely latch, which was somewhat of a security issue, but we did our best to keep the deadbolt locked and also close the top security latch. The beds in room 206 are both sinkholes offering very little support, you sink down into the middle of the bed. The elevator was broken the morning we left, so we were hauling all our bags down from the 2nd floor and out to the car in the rain. It was a place to crash, the room was clean when we got there, but the hotel in all regards is in complete disrepair. We used to stay here all the time and from here on will choose elsewhere.
This hotel was just ok. I mean if I had to stay all day in the room, I would not have been happy. I had to keep going to the front desk to get towels. There were 3 of us and had 1 set of towels. If you wanted ice you had to go down to first floor. Silverware for the kitchenette. Anything extra you needed. Also, there was a musty smell when you entered the room and also off and on in the bathroom it would smell terribly of sewer or poop and not from us.
over charged we stayed one night and was charged for two nights.Had to leave o the second night was told would not be charged.Still trying to get refunded without getting a lawyer,,....Management was not around to solve problem.
We discovered this hotel four years ago when we were visiting the area frequently during the final illness and death of my Mother in Law. At that time it was a decent property with a friendly staff and nice clientele. It featured basic amenities, provided usable kitchens in the suites, a comfortable and attractive lobby, good hot breakfast, and safe outdoor areas. It wasn't the Ritz, but it provided a comfortable place for us to stay during a trying time. We returned this week to bury my Father in Law to discover a property that is circling the drain. Our group occupied three rooms that ranged from bad to terrible. The lobby and all common areas look dingy and unwelcoming, the rooms had damaged and dirty walls, the kitchens had no dishes, utensils or any other equipment, and one of the rooms smelled. The elevator was not working half the time we were there, and we received no housekeeping service during our two day stay. The breakfast selections were minimal and terrible, the refrigeration in the soda machines did not work, and we could not find an ice machine. This downturn also appears to extend to the clientele. When we returned from dinner, there was a shirtless man with an ankle monitor chatting up the front desk clerk. Later that night our family members on the third floor were kept awake by a couple having a screaming fight that lasted for hours, until my sister in law finally threatened to call the police herself if the hotel staff continued to do nothing. The exterior of the place looks terrible, there is a mountain of garbage in the back of the parking lot near the pool. Someone tried to break in to my Brother in Law's car, and as the final insult when we were leaving we discovered a box in the back of our car had been stolen (we think we may have accidentally left the car unlocked). The box contained some memorabilia from my Father in Law who had served in WWII and Korea, including the folded flag that had adorned his coffin at the funeral. Now that my inlaws are gone, we probably won't have a reason to return to this area again, but if we did I would not stay here. Spend a few extra bucks and go to the Hampton Inn up the road.
I will never stay here again. First we paid for the king suit nowhere on there did they say that we would not have ANY kitchen utensils, plates, cups or cookware! What's the point of paying for a suit if we have to Pay to eat out everynight! Also the fridge didn't work so we couldnt keep anything cold including drinks. There was stains on the floor. The do not disturb sign was held on by ductape. The elevator smelled and was not clean. It smelled of weed down the hallways. And the light switches decided when they wanted to work. The couch had patches of leather missing from it I didn't even want to touch it. I will never stay here again and it makes me never want to stay at a best western cause I cant trust the pictures anymore.
We are natives of Cinti, but due to Covid we needed a place to host a gathering to celebrate my daughter's graduation/18th bday without breaking the bank. The hotel had a direct entrance conference room perfect for 40-50 guest and those with disabilities. It has a long counter with sink making it easy to serve your own food. The room was set up, clean with a working tv. Staff was kind and accommodating. We stayed in a King suite and a 2 bed Queen room. The bed was sooo comfortable. The rooms were clean, new carpet, kitchenettes were nice. If anyone wanted to be picky they may say its time to change the wallpaper and update the tile in bathrooms, but based on time we are in, its understandable. It was clean & that matters most to my family. I certainly cannot wait until full breakfast is back, but the continental offered Hostess donettes, cereal, whole fruit, boiled eggs, yogurt, granola bars & fruit. It was a great staycation and would do it again.
The entire fourth floor smells like cigarettes. The service would rather watch soap operas or be on their cell phones than so much as look at you. The breakfast would be considered bad even in a third world country.
Stayed here back to back weekends and loved it. The staff was amazing and very accomodating to our group. They were all very positive and friendly. The rooms were good. They're in the process of doing some needed updating but it's still safe and clean. The location is perfect as well. Right across the street from the mall and close to many restaurants. We will definitely stay there again!
My husband and I stayed here for one night and I wish I would've chosen a different hotel. The staff was very nice, but the facility had some issues. First, our room's thermostat did not work, which we notified the front desk about. They were very nice and moved our room. The AC worked in our new room, but there was a dirty wash rag left on the shower curtain rod. It made me question the cleanliness of our room, in general. The toilet also had a very hard time flushing. The remote for our tv did not work, so we had to get up in order to change the channel. For the amount we spent for a Saturday night to stay here, I would have hoped for a better experience.
We had a great stay here, the staff were all fantastic and very accommodating to our group! The location is terrific, very close to the mall and restaurants. Good value. Would definitely stay here again!
This was the worst visit I ever had at this location and I may never stay here again. Trying to be here for my family during a very tragic time in our life and to have to argue with the front desk staff over the fact that I know I had paid my bill, on the day that I'm trying to go to the funeral of my niece and nephew that had been killed was just so overwhelming. Then she never apologized for her mistakes was the worst part for me. I spent 8nights at this hotel paying $102.00 a night do the math!
For one, even with ongoing Covid-19, the pictures made available online are nowhere close to being the actual hotel. The lobby/entrance was dim and appeared to look like that of cheap, off the highway out of nowhere rundown motel. The hallway were also dim as if it was a movie theater. Secondly, while it was explained during the check-in process, I have experienced an upcharge to just in case cover for the incidence; however, having to run my credit card for separate transaction at $100 on top was rather "interesting". Finally, for the price, if aforementioned reasoning can be deemed sufficient to cancel the reservation upon arrival, I would have went to the Hampton Inn & Suites across the highway and gladly paid $20 more for the evening. As other reviewer online has stated, it is a Worst Western. This was the first and last time I will ever stay with Best Western, regardless of the location and/or circumstances.
NO BREAKFAST. No notice of this. Other hotels in the area are serving breakfast. Charged $100 extra deposit ON MY CREDIT CARD??? Totally unnecessary and not done by higher end hotels. Room key system did not worl and there seemed to be no hurry to have it repaired. Had to be escorted to the room on each return. Just an eye-popping bad experience.
I had a wonderful time. My room was nice and clean and all the areas that i saw were well kept. The staff was very professional and courteous. The location is very good seeing that the Kenwood Mall and a host of restaurants are very close by.
Check-in person was nice and easily done. Lobby is going through a remodel and probably not useful to guests. The room was in need of serious repair. Would not sit on the damaged couch,, lights out. Shower needs attention. Bed was clean but zero support.
I have stayed here twice in the past during normal times, and things were satisfactory. This time so many areas needed work. First off Covid protocol, the ladies at check in wore masks behind a plexiglas screen but their maintenance man and onsite cleaning crew that we dealt with did not once wear face masks , even when entering our room, until we insisted. I did not see any posted COVID protocols they were following. I doubt that they leave the rooms empty for 24 hrs or more between guests. I try to give hotels some slack in reviewing, but here were just too many problems to overlook. The toilets in both our room and next door were backed up when we arrived and were continuously clogged for the next 3 days. The mattresses are way too soft and sagging, pillows lumpy, and the carpet are bunched up in many places and dirty. The shower curtain rod was twisted downward and never closed completely. The bath door scraped the tile floor. The frig even when set on low was way too cold for many items ( fruits etc) . There was kitchenette but no forks knives or glasses only paper coffee cups. The "grab and go" breakfast consisted of water bottle, an orange, granola bar, and cookies or package mini danish. I have not looked into the refund of the $ 100 deposit yet. I'll give that a week or so to process. But I've never stayed in place that required that, or was not settled on departure. The main draw is the price. It's relatively cheap and you get what you pay for. Next time I need a place in this area , I'll look elsewhere.
I had a good size room, with mini refrigerator, microwave, kitchenette area. Full bath. Everything worked well. Grab and go breakfast was ok. Staff was always available at front desk. Masks were generally worn all the time I saw staff. Room was clean and comfortable. There was evidence of dirty areas at lower shower curtain, bathroom ceiling and on the fins of the room air conditioner. Nothing a little more cleaning wouldn't solve. Location as adjacent to the Kenwood shopping complex. I would stay again at the price I paid (which seemed quite low, thanks to depressed travel demand.)
The room was decent but we found another guests house shoe under the bed skirt. More concerning to us was when they knocked on our door and accused of us of smoking in the room. We did not smoke in the room. The staff came to our door 2 times and claimed the hallway smelled like smoke and that it was coming from our room. I informed them that we didn't smoke in the room and showed my frustration. Then when checking out they tried to keep our $100 deposit. Most hotels don't require security deposits when paying with a credit card but this one does. I hate to think that there intention is to keep it from the get go but after this experience I think there may be some scamming going on. We are all wearing masks due to COVID-19 but they smelled smoke and somehow determined it was our room in a hallway full of doors. Keep an eye out for this trick...They did return our deposit after we complained. We let them inspect the room and they reluctantly gave it back.
It is a little hard to see the entrance. Staff was friendly and helpful. I had to leave early so not sure about breakfast offerings I did grab a to go breakfast that were ready for guest already. Overall would stay here again
We were impressed by the room. Nice decor, comfortable bed, bathroom clean. Did have some issues with door lock ,took several attempts and I mean several to get the door to unlock.Very frustrating. Noticed the furnace filter hadn't been changed since 2/19, this is 7/20. I pulled it out and left it out.The room was 81 degrees when we went in. It was hot and the heat was on. Clerk said it was probably left on from the last guest, whatever. Attention to small details would have made a big difference in the satisfaction of our stay.
The front desk area was very cluttered & an electrical outlet was hanging from the wall. No sign saying they were remodeling. Cold breakfast in a bag was disappointing. Old furniture in rooms needs an upgrade. Poorly lit halls feel unsafe.
They stated on the website free hot breakfast and once we got there we seen they was doing renovations which shut down breakfast area. If they had removed this from website I wouldn't have traveled 25 miles out of the way to stay here. Staff seemed to not care about the misrepresentation. Our refrigerator in our room was broke and they did quickly and painlessly move us into another room. However have of the flooring was removed in lobby in some places so it was easy to trip which I did and sprained my ankle. So it was a miserable little trip and ride back. No warning signs up about uneven floor or anything.
Considering under remodeling and there was no breakfast as we have had in the past there we still will continue to book here. I love the King suite and will stay longer nice time just to relax there. Elevator is a bit scary to jerky and slow but we need an adventure....lol
Under construction ,we were not advised on booking about the mess that we walked thru.Torn couch and falling loose towel bars and no breakfast and bad attitude from front desk. Overall a disgusting experience.
I always rely on reviews so chose this hotel after reading reviews. Very modern looking hotel for a reasonable price. Lobby area very nice. Check in was simple and prompt. Very nice large room with kitchenette. Desk with one chair which made it difficult for two people to sit and eat but not a big deal. Bed was comfortable. Bath was nice. Dispensers in shower were empty but separate bottles of shampoo and cream rinse were available. Sofa bed was ripped and had been better days. Breakfast was excellent. Typical muffins, cereal, fruit, yogurt but then there were waffles you could make and a made to order omelet bar. Overall, very impressed and would stay there again any time. Also, right across from mall so plenty of shopping and restaurants if you need them.
I thought this was a nice hotel! The only complaints I have are the room keys do not work all the time, poorly lit hallways, and entrance doors on side of hotel not being locked. There was also a dead fly stuck to our room window. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel
Clean and quiet accommodation . Everyone is pleasant and helpful. They go out of the way to make you feel welcomed during your stay. It is very convenient to shopping and the expressway making it a perfect stop for me.
The staff was especially friendly. Our room, suite, was clean; included free WiFi, a full kitchen and 2 tv's (living room & bedroom). We were very happy with our stay and would highly recommend BW Plus Hannaford. The bed, king size, was extremely comfortable.
This is our third stay at this property, this time as part of a King's Island WinterFest trip. While this is a BW a bit closer to the park, the price and previous experience here made it the choice for us. We weren't disappointed; the property is well managed and comfortable.
Have stayed at this hotel many times over the past several years. Staff very friendly and helpful, breakfast buffet well stocked, fresh and omelet bar is a very nice touch. If you are in the northern Cincinnati area and need a place to stay, I would highly recommend this location.
I spent three nights in this hotel on a business trip. It covers all the basics well. The staff were always helpful, from sorting problems to arranging taxis etc. The rooms are big and well furnished. I was on the ground floor but there were no issues with noise. They provide a breakfast each day, including a omelette bar which was very popular. There is a shopping mall and restaurants in walking distance which is always convenient.
I was in the eastern part of Cincinnati and needed an overnight stay. I chose this place since the price was right. I got more than I expected! Not sure if all the rooms are suites, but I got one and it was beautiful. It was airy, light and had I known what to expect, I may have stayed longer. Breakfast was a real enjoyment as they had a wonderful person to make you a made-to-order omelette. Overall, quiet and decent property.
Nice hotel, very comfy beds, great complimentary breakfast, and in a quiet part of town, but not too far away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Cincinnati. Great time, spacious rooms, and accommodating staff
I had a overall good experience with this hotel and staff were very nice, it was close to restaurants and things to do. Gujhg ghb xdg cfg ujj gf fgh dd th h fff th h fttyg dffhh fry uh gg drug ftyhhgft
This is a get what you pay for place. The hotel desk staff and ms Wanda is fantastic. Housekeeping and cleanliness is a challenge. The pull out mattresses are filthy. And rooms have muggy carpet that needs cleaning. They also have the smoking right in front of the entrance so if it's a festival weekend like OctoberFest, avoid having kids coming in and out at night due to heavy smoke. If you are traveling alone or with two, the accommodation is okay. Would not recommend for family.
I enjoyed the location of this Best Western and it was easily accessible to a highway that helped me get across town to different locations. There were plenty of places near the property for dining and shopping.
Acceptable rooms; competent staff, OK price; good reward system. Beds were comfortable, air conditioning a bit noisy; breakfast what you'd expect when it's free but points for omlets and skim milk.....
Room was adequate and decent size. However, decor is very dark in rooms and hallways. Hallway lighting leaves a lot to be desired. Staff friendly, but again, dark and somewhat oppressive decor. Could use some work...
This is a very nice hotel, which was conveniently located near the friend we went to Cincinnati to visit. Our room was always cleaned, and the staff was courteous and friendly. Our only complaint was the mattress on our bed. It needed to be replaced as it was uneven and you sank into it, depending on which side of the bed you were sleeping. The other minor problem was that we had trouble with our room key on our last night's stay.
Was once a nice hotel, but has had no upkeep - rooms are worn down and damage gone unrepaired. Between 3 rooms there wasn't a working iron or hair dryer, and none to spare from housekeeping. The included breakfast is mostly bread, though random people were tasked for a couple hours to make “omelets” to order (don't recommend). Stay would be fine in an emergency, but do yourself a favor if you value comfort and a good sleep - stay anywhere else.
Bait and switch on the rate on their website. Reel you in with one price then when you book, the rate is miraculously no longer available. After paying higher rate, they don't even fully make the beds for the second night stay. What gives Best Western? Very disappointed that they did nothing to rectify the situation when brought to the attention of the front desk staff. Think twice before booking.
Just an FYI that this is one of the worst rooms I've stayed in in Cincinnati. Attached are pics of what I see out the window. It hasn't had a good cleaning in a while. For some reason, they gave me a handicap room - which would have been ok, but there is no full length mirror & the mirror in the bathroom is so high that I can only see my shoulders & head. I also have killed 2 gnats or fruit flies (small black flying things). Bed is also noisy (& I'm just one person).
In general this is a pretty nice hotel, room was comfortable and pretty well maintained although the hallways were dark. Breakfast was above average for this type of hotel since they offered made-to-order omelettes. The downside is that our room was probably only 100 feet from the interstate and the road noise keep us awake most of the night. Either find another hotel or make sure your room is on the side of the hotel away from the highway
Hotel is nicely done and even has a happy hour in the evenings. Front desk is staffed by one, brave and effective young lady managing to do it all. Room was nice with a sitting area and a work area for business plus a bar area with sink, coffee maker and nice sized fridge . Fell asleep easily from traveling but was awake at 2:30 am as the freeway traffic began to increase. Impossible to drown out the noise with the wall unit AC and fan. Spent the rest of the night attempting to cover my head with “chicklet sized” pillows to no avail. Several times the vehicles made the room vibrate. The other side of the hotel is towards a beautiful, spacious, wooded condo complex that is quiet. It seems Best Western likes to stick its single night, women, business travelers on the freeway side. You can be sure that this business traveler will be looking at other accommodations for her next trips to Cincinnati.
The breakfast was great. But the sofa couch was old and torn and mattress was old and undesirable. Plus the pool was out of order. I wouldnt had made reservations to hotel if i knew i couldnt go swimming.
We stayed here a yr. ago. The breakfast & staff have gone downhill. Breakfast area was quick to be a mess with no urgency to correct. Sun. breakfast was to be 7:30-10:30. I got there @ 10:10 breakfast was gone & cleanup begun. Still have omelets to order & if your there at the right time cookies @ night. Last yr. the staff was really great & I gave the place a big thumbs up. This yr. average for the price is best a can say. Location is great, lots of shopping & dinning choices near by. Nice outdoor pool area.
Check-in was easy. The Lobby was nice. The staff was very helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. We had a good view. The elevator was a little slow, but easy to get into. The morning breakfast was standard, but they added an compete station to "spice" up their menu!
Hannaford Inn This place is OK. Not the best hotel, but it's not the worst either. We are generally huge fans of Best Western hotels but this one was subpar. First impression was that it was a great hotel. I personally really liked the old aesthetic going on with it. Our room (105) was bigger and more spacious than what we get for our average hotels. Front desk staff was really nice, too, and the location is very good. It's right in front of Kenwood Town Centre, which you can do a lot of shopping in. Unfortunately the rating kept dropping on our short 5-day stay. First, some weird water kept flooding the area next to the restroom and we could never figure out where it was coming from. We hadn't used the shower when those weird puddles of water started showing up. Second, the WiFi kept dropping annoyingly often. The first time it happened I assumed it was a temporary one-time issue, but it dropped on two different days and for many hours on each. In fact the drops were so annoying and lengthy that I wouldn't say this hotel has WiFi.
My God don't get me started. Women hide your children. The hallways are dark and dank. As if they don't want to spend the money to make the place bright and cheart. Same goes for the rooms. Hope you're not a business Traveler that has to read documents in the evening because the lighting is so bad that you won't be able to. Same goes for the business center. Out of the three weeks that I was there their PCS and printers slowly degraded so that with this final week they were not even working because somebody decided to look at porn and caused some kind of breach - so guard your personal information with your life cuz it doesn't seem like this place has firewalls. Not to mention Wi-Fi was really spotty on many occasions. Like I say business Travelers go somewhere else. Oh also the pool was unavailable for the entire week. Be sure to read the 2 and 1 star reviews I think they're right on. And in the evening the clerks like to have their boyfriends in so they're not bored. And also there were some kind of bust as the police or in this week throwing some guests out of the hotel. And the smell of marijuana was ranked with in the air. Although I have stayed in this hotel in the past for its location to my work location and closeness to restaurants in the area I doubt if I'll ever be coming back. And by the way when the owners respond all they give you is empty promises about how changes are coming. But I don't think they ever are.
Room was ok at this Best Western Plus, but the bed quality was "Best Western Minus". Mattress was totally worn out and broken down in the middle. Room was clean, hotel was quiet. Hot breakfast was ok, it featured made to order omelettes
Stayed here again..just for one night this time. Everything was great, just like our last stay. Staff was friendly..wifi was great...good hot water for shower. Very clean. Would highly recommend staying here. Even upgraded our room from queen to king, which was awesome. Checked out early, so we didn't get free breakfast.
This hotel used to be a good option for a Central Cincinnati visit. It is no longer viable: dirty and run down. There is a new hotel within 1/2 mile of this Best Western, which will get my business in the future.
First thing is the bathtubs has backup on us when you get a shower and bathtub so old it is rusty holes in electrical areas and paint chipping in room. Stains all over couch. Room was nasty. We stayed in room 107. So please dont get this room. It was best western in hannaford Cincinnati Ohio. This was are first time in Cincinnati and a hotel here.
While the old style decor is quaint, it needs to be maintained. The couch was broken down, the fridge froze up and flooded the kitchen in the middle of the night, the elevator was a snail, and the internet kept dropping.
Excellent customer service! They do omelet making with the breakfast service! Room was a kitchenette and one bedroom suite, which was very nice since we had our 14 year old granddaughter with us! This gave us good privacy!
Arrived to front desk Jamie who was asleep on couch & had v difficult time awakening. (She claimed her glasses were broken tho she had them on next day & to be up all nite.) Strong smell of marijuana. Ck in took forever
Was an ok stay but prefer Cincinnati rivererfront location. Hannaford was less modern and felt like a normal Best Western not like a Best Western Plus. Breakfast had several options but not a lot for people with allergies as someone with an egg allergy there was maybe one thing I could eat.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast consisted of made-to-order omelets, waffles, doughnuts, muffins, toast, etc. The omelets were very good and the lady doing the cooking was very friendly. The elevator broke on our arrival and we were immediately given a room on the first floor, my wife uses a walker. The bed was very comfortable. The motel is very convenient to the Jewish Hospital where our son was a patient.
We had stayed here last year and liked it so decided to stay again this year. Unfortunately I think it's gone down a little. Here's the pros in my opinion: -good location, -decent price, -it's quiet, -room includes a little kitchenette area, -good parking, -good WiFi, -good shower temp and water pressure Here's the cons: -it wasn't as clean as I would have liked with makeup visible on one of the hand towels hanging in the bathroom, a dirty coffee maker, and something dried on the nightstand -the first staff person I encountered wasn't very professional, initially ignoring me at check in then when I did get waited on I realized she was wearing a see through top exposing her bra and A LOT of cleavage. It was shift change tho and the second employee was courteous - the lamp usb plug didn't work - we had to ask for extra towels because in a room with occupancy for at least 4 people they kept leaving us only 2 towels -no full length mirror Also be aware that the bathroom is all in one, no separate sink area so it's a bit hard for everyone to get ready at the same time. Overall a decent stay but just didn't seem as well kept as last time.
Our room was perfect in every way. We were able to get it cool enough, 66 degrees, that's usually a problem. The bed had to be one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept on in a hotel. The neighborhood was nice and safe. Clean hotel.
My parents, daughter and I spent a night here as we passed through Cincinnati. We enjoyed our stay and will stay there again if we are back in the area. Our room was large and clean and everyone was very nice. We enjoyed the omelet bar very much. My only issues are that the hallways and parking lot are not quite as well lit as I'd like, some scent used in cleaning bothered my allergies a bit, and the elevator was slow. Still, I intend to stay there the next time I'm in the area. Thank for a nice stay!
Although priced right, the room was dated, lighting poor throughout property, especially in the hallways. Mattress was past it's prime at least 5 years ago, and sagged quite a big in the middle. Breakfast area selection was poor, cheap pastries and breakfast cereal.
A friend and I stayed overnight during a shopping trip. The hotel was out of the way from where we were shopping (I should have checked that out more closely when booking). Check in was smooth and there was even a small bar with wine and beer set up for purchase. The complimentary breakfast was decent and had a made to order omelet station. We had a pleasant stay.
This is the third time I have stayed at this hotel for business. Everyone is helpful and friendly and my stay is always comfortable. The front desk staff is especially helpful with check in. The breakfast staff go above and beyond to make sure I have everything I want!
We choose this hotel every time we swim at St. X. Across from Kenwood mall and off 71. Great breakfast staff! We love her! One thing... the mattress on the pull out was in Terrible shape! May be time to upgrade those
The check-in/out process were easy and the staff was polite. I had an executive king suite and it was well decorated and comfortable. The location is great: mall, hospital, food, and highway were close by.
I stayed in this hotel with other family members, January 2019. We were in town for a funeral. The hotel rooms were fine and the staff members were helpful. The breakfast attendant was also very nice. What the hotel had to offer: Workout room, Breakfast room, Conference rooms, vending area, refrigerator and microwave in the rooms and a pull out couch. The location was convenient. The hotel was close to the freeway and a mall; there were other stores around too.
I stayed at this hotel and was more than a little bit impressed. Miss Wanda took great care of me on check in and the sweet lady that was in on the night shift was amazing as well. I would recommend that anyone traveling to Cincinnati stay here if they are looking for a nice place with nice rooms and amazing service.
Staff was great, let us change rooms with no questions asked. Breakfast staff very cheerful for Sunday morning breakfast, made to order omelets also had sausage and grits on the side. We would stay there again.
I had a horrible experience, they made Racist comments to me from one of the hotel workers, and they gave a room and then find things of the person who was a day earlier in the room! The hotel is very nice but needs to be cleaner...
We were in Cincinnati for medical reasons and the Best Western Plus Hannaford Inn provided a wonderful place to rest and relax. The staff was so helpful giving directions to an out of towner and the breakfast was wonderful. Having an omelette bar was very special. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. Having the sleeping area separate from the couch/TV was very nice. Will definitely be stating here again.
We stopped at the Best Western on our way to Nashville. What a great stop over. Really friendly staff, nice size clean room and good internet connection. They have a happy hour in the evening and provide a fabulous breakfast in the morning. The bonus for us was a great Mexican restaurant a short walk from the hotel. It was the perfect stop over. Would definitely stay there again.
Thought I found a convenient location at a good price instead I was nickeled and dimed at ever turn. Expect to pay twice the advertised price. Staff not friendly. Left and went to another property up the street.
Very comfortable rooms but the best part was the staff, smiling faces the minute we walked in the door. Wanda and her crew at breakfast were the best! A very enjoyable stay and a great location for our visit.
Great service is what sticks out most at this hotel, the people treated us with smiles and made us feel at home. Breakfast was the best I've had in a hotel and the coffee was indescribable. 10/10 would stay there again
My wife and I have stayed at this hotel several times when we visit Cincinnati to visit our son. The room and public areas are clean and fairly up to date. The staff is always helpful and friendly and customer oriented. A nice breakfast that includes hand made omelets or eggs prepared as you desire. This is a real step above the normal frozen breakfast omelet offered at most hotels.
This hotel is awesome. The staff make this otherwise average hotel a wonderful stay! Wanda is very personable and hospitable and makes each guest feel welcome and at home. She goes above and beyond to make sure you're comfortable. Their breakfast is way above average with custom made options available for free in addition to the usual array. The cleaning staff did a great job as well. Overall the best hotel I've ever been in.
Even though there are many hotels closer to the University of Cincinnati where our daughter is a student, we continue to stay at Best Western Hannaford Inn & Suites because of its wonderful staff, nice rooms, reasonable price and proximity to major stores and restaurants. WANDA and her team are awesome! We look forward to enjoying breakfast where they offer custom-made omelettes and scrambled eggs, plus delicious grits, pork or chicken sausage, cereals, pastries and fruit juices. Wanda and her team all are friendly and nice. The front desk staff also are helpful and professional. The rooms are nicely furnished. On a few occasions, the mattress on the sofa bed has been lumpy, but the regular beds are comfortable. There is a major mall and several stores and restaurants less than a 10-minute drive away. If you are visiting someone at UC, make sure to inquire about the university room rate.
The staff were polite and responsive. The room was clean and comfortable. The highlight of our stay was breakfast. Egg dishes were custom made and delicious. Wanda greeted us warmly and was a delight. This was the best breakfast experience we have ever had at a hotel. Will return each time we come to Cincy.
We stayed at this hotel a year ago and happily found it to be as good as we remembered. The room was spacious, it was a good price and it wasn't noisy. We were on the main floor near the highway but didn't hear a thing. The breakfast options are good. A lovely woman will make you an omelet or there is home made grits. The reason to return to this hotel is because of the staff. They are very friendly and accommodating.
Horrible sag-in-the-middle mattress. No full-length or make-up mirrors, which are standard in nearly all hotels & motels these days. Hallway poorly lit and smelled. Staff efficient. Rooms clean. Internet service excellent.Looked like a lot of people who were staying here were seeking medical care - if you or a family member are getting care at the nearby medical facility, it could be a reasonable albeit a depressing choice of where to stay.
Stayed here a night on our way home as it had good reviews and location was good. Room was Very spacious, liked the layout with a small kitchen/living area separated from the bedroom. First complaint is as big as the room is the bathroom is tiny, only one person could possibly use it, it could of been designed better. Also in the bathroom a mirror backlight is not enough, its so dark and with a solid dark shower curtain you cant see anything. Biggest issue was the mold on the ceiling. By the time we saw it we didnt want to repack to move rooms but this is unacceptable. Last complaint is the noise, depending on the side of the building you are overlooking 71. They did a decent job soundproofing but when you are a stones throw away you can definitely hear the traffic in the morning.
Have to keep eyes open for entrance. I passed it once. Check in was quick and easy, booked online. Room was really nice. Mini apartment with fridge, micro, sink, and cabinets for storage. Table set up for office, couch and coffee table. Bathroom was fine with plenty of towels. Clean and comfortable and the breakfast was great.
This hotel was clean and quiet. They offer a nice complimentary breakfast and the kitchen staff are so very nice. It's located directly across the street from a nice shopping center. I would recommend this hotel and wouldn't hesitate to stay again!
The suburban location has easy access to highways to get to the city or leave town. There is plenty of shopping and food choices nearby. The best part of the hotel might be Wanda who has a great personality and seems to be doing three jobs. She is the weekend breakfast cook and makes great grits. The hotel suffers from having smoking areas outside the front and side doors so nearly all the time you have to go through a cloud of smoke to egress or ingress. The room was large but the bed was very lumpy. Try to avoid having a room on the highway side because the noise can be very disturbing. The hotel guest computers and printers are temperamental.
We had a family gathering at this hotel and the staff was extremely accommodating. They made every effort to ensure that we had a great stay. The price was reasonable and the cooked-to-order breakfast was a step up from most hotel breakfast bars.
We were up for the weekend. someone suggested this place, I'm glad the did. It was clean, just a very nice place. The front desk people were great. We would not hesitate to go back. weekend breakfast was great too, Wanda was a good grit cooker!lol
i booked based upon reviews read... disappointed with the lack of quality in the bathroom, the filthy darkened grout where countless guests have stood, the mold below the tub spout.... poor surround lighting with bathroom mirror... this bathroom needs updating and proper cleaning... the free breakfast was average at best... and the tip jar next to the omelet station was odd.... also, upon check out at 6am... no one turned on the outside lighting, so we left under the cover of complete darkness.... next visit we will most certainly stay elsewhere... there was no 'plus' in this establishment..
Great hotel, friendly and experienced staff Great breakfast they even provide omelettes made to order . Good value for our dollar. Easy access from I71 /I75 We will go back.will recommend this to all our friends
Stayed here 2 nights for a mini vacation with my family. Great location close to shopping and restaurants. Great price. We got a room with 2 queen beds but the beds felt rather small. They were comfortable. Actually the whole room had a tight feel with a somewhat odd layout but that didn't bother us too much. I don't know if all the rooms have the same footprint. The bathroom is also pretty small with no separation between the vanity and toilet/shower. This was fine with just 3 of us but could start to feel crowded quickly with more. Overall a nice stay with no real problems.
The ladies working the front desk were less than enthusiastic and seemed pre-occupied but other than that no major issues. The swimming pool is across the parking lot somewhat awkward but functional. The room late out and cleanliness was above par. I would definitely stay here again. For the price you pay and what you get very acceptable. And the breakfast omelets were made to order and part of the morning meal.
23 years in sales. I have stayed at Hampton Inn and Courtyard majority of that time. I switched to BW a few years ago and have never regretted it. This BW location is situated near plenty of attractions and close to the Highway. Great Staff and Accommodations very helpful and resourceful about the surrounding areas. A+
The excellent rating is in large part because of the staff. Very helpful and friendly ! We spent 5 nights in room 410 & were very happy. Big room & nice layout. Living & kitchen separated from bed, bath & desk. Could nit pic about some little stuff but place was clean & comfy. Outdoor pool was somewhat isolated & had a grill to make a nice cookout area. Snacks in the lobby in the evenings with a wine & beer bar. Gym was "lean" but had the basics (tread mill, elliptical, bike, weight machine & free weights). Weekday breakfast was typical but adequate. Weekend Breakfast was a definite upgrade ( fresh kielbasa, pork & chicken sausage, cat fish, grits & up graded pastries). Location was great ( nice mall 1/2 mile, plenty of eating choices nearby)
Female staff fraternizes with the men who stay there regularly, it's disgusting! And don't tell me they become like family because they stay during the week while they work. It's pathetic! Running outside when they come back after work, partying at the pool with them...
We stayed at this facility for one night. We were in town for a Reds baseball game. The hotel was clean, the bed was comfortable, the staff was efficient and friendly. The breakfast was comparable to other Best western Plus Hotels. It was close to the freeway, yet far enough away to avoid any traffic noise. It was a 10 mile Uber ride into the stadium.
We stayed at the Hannaford Inn two nights while exploring Cincinnati. The location was ideal for our purposes. The hotel room was clean and of good size. It had a nice kitchen area with cabinets, microwave and refrigerator, coffee maker and small work sink. Some of the furniture was well worn, and the bed was too soft for our preference. Sound proofing is very good. The best feature were the weekend breakfasts. A chef made omelets to order. Sausages and pastries were good. Make-your-own waffles, plus all types of cereal, yogurt, fruit, juices, breads, bagels, etc. met the needs of any type of diet or appetite. Overall service was very good, especially in the breakfast room. I would return to this hotel again.
Overall the rooms are clean and comfortable. The fact that they serve breakfast is awesome and it's a nice, safe area. Feel comfortable walking around at night. My only problem with the hotel is that they allow people to smoke right outside the front door as people enter the lobby. They have this happy hour thing from 5 until 7 and there's a bunch of people drinking and smoking every Evening. I have also smelled smoke on the floors, people are smoking in their rooms. To be a smoke free hotel to me means people should not be able to smoke in the entrance.
This facility was very clean (although there was always someone smoking right outside so we had to walk through a plume of smoke to get in) and well tended to. The desk staff was nice, but a bit slow. They have a happy hour with a glass of wine and some snacks which we did not attend (but sounds like a nice thing to do!). We left very early in the am, so did not get to try breakfast. The suite was clean and spacious with good AC and wi fi. Beds were very nice and we slept well; nice and quiet too. This is not far from a Graeter's Ice Cream store...we are not from the area and never heard of Graeter's. Oh My...it is fabulous. Do find Graeter's if you stay here....
My family and I have stayed at this hotel numerous times and have never really had any complaints until our recent stay. We arrived late after a reds game and we were beyond tired and ready for bed. As we pulled out the pull out bed on the couch we noticed it was covered in urine stains - disgusting!! (See posted pic) My husband went to the front desk to show them a picture and while they were nice about it, nothing could be done as they didn't have any other rooms available or roll away beds. Our only solution was our almost 12 year old sleeping with us - not fun! I expected that they would at least comp our stay or take a portion off but they did NOT. Kind of disappointing considering we stay at this hotel quite often. The only other small complaint was that the hotel staff could use better communication. I had called the hotel the morning of check in to advise we would be checking in later due to a reds game (the guy gave off the impression that I was inconveniencing him by even calling). Then about 7pm I get a call from the hotel asking if I am still coming... strange. Not sure we will continue to be regulars.
We loved the spaciousness of the room and how there was a totally separate living room/full kitchen, and then a bedroom/ bathroom. The area was nice with a lot nearby and not too far from the big attractions.
We had just stayed at a Best Western Plus in another city and had a good basis for comparison. This hotel came in second. The location was quite good, rooms were clean and the bed reasonably comfortable. The shower was old (though very clean) and the kitchen lacked a wine opener though on the other hand, it had a full size fridge -- very nice for our group. The omelets at breakfast (included) are tasty, but the dining area was always quite crowded during our stay; my husband twice had to eat in a conference room. At both check in and check out we had a 5-10 minute wait at the front desk because no one was attending the desk. One day we left our room at 9:00 am and returned at 4:00 pm, and the room had not been made up. We wanted to use the room, so it never got cleaned nor did we get clean towels. I love the concept, the location was perfect, the omelets were good and the rate was absolutely fine. But I might shop around the next time.
After one night's stay, we decided to pack up and move to another hotel. The noise from the highway, sounded like the trucks were driving thru our room the entire night. We recently stayed right by O'Hare Airport, next to a highway and the Chicago metro train tracks which run 24/7. We never heard them, so Hannaford has no excuses. The omelet bar was touted as something special and it was ok. They offered to move us, but once we were packed up, we just wanted to leave.
Attended an anniversary getaway. Great location - easy access on and off highway. Rooms were immaculate. Pool availability. Sunday morning brunch was outstanding. Staff was very friendly and helpful in locating events.
Stayed here for five nights on a vacation. A buddy and I shared a room with two king beds. Room was pretty darn clean with all of the basic amenities and a nice sized fridge/counter area. More than enough space for two guys with a lot of gear. Bathroom was pretty small though, but it was clean too and did the job. Our room faced the highway though and the air conditioning unit didn't seal well with the wall so it was pretty noisy, especially with construction and jack-hammering going on through the night every night. Breakfast was pretty average-nothing blew us away with the food. They have two people that come in at 7AM on weekdays doing make-to-order omelets, and later on weekends, but we were both out the door well before then so had to settle for the usual waffle and pastries or cereal. Check-in was the only hassle we had. I reached the hotel ahead of my buddy who was traveling separately and had made the reservation. I tried to check in and they gave me a hard time with that. Finally they did what I suggested and just ran his credit card number that he had to provide during the reservation, but somehow it didn't go through. The cell phone number he had with them was also mysteriously incorrect. I HIGHLY doubt my friend screwed up both of those things, but fortunately for me, the lady at the front desk "graciously" allowed me into the room. Turns out my friend was very delayed getting to the room and the same lady that checked me in came to my room at 11PM, did not announce who she was, and whining that she still needed HIS information so she could go home for the night or else I couldn't stay there? I said that doesn't make any sense, the reservation was confirmed and he already told you that I was going to be here before him. She tried giving me a weird alternative of using my credit card "just for the deposit and then I would be refunded", which I know is a lie because I've been burned on that line before. Finally we both got smart and I gave her my friend's cell so she could sort things out with him. Apparently it all got worked out since my friend showed up and I wasn't bothered the rest of the night. Just didn't make sense to me that all the hassle was needed when the reservation was confirmed, I was there, but she was threatening to kick me out.
We have stayed at this hotel 3 times now in the past 3 years, and every visit has been a wonderful experience! The staff are wonderful. They treat you like family and go out of their way to accomodate your every need! Rooms are clean and spacious. Hotel is quiet. Love having the hot breakfast and fresh made omlets! Will definitely stay here again. Highly recommended.
Great place to stay In Cincinnati. Staff is extremely friendly, Rooms are very clean. The free breakfast is fantastic. We actually got bumped from our flight and Wanda at the front desk had me in a room ASAP. No questions asked. Max and Najwa were great to see all our needs we taken care of. The Pool was a must, a very HOT Memorial day was perfect. A BIG thank you yo all our friends at the BEST WESTERN.
Visited the Cincinnati area and had never been there before: so happy to have stayed at this Best Western, helped us feel like a home-away from-home. The rooms were so spacious and elegnat (with Kitchenette!) and the staff - especially Ms. Wanda! and team - were so welcoming and warm, and not to miss the Sunday morning omelettes and home-made GRITS, and pastries too, yum! Highly Recommend!
Traveling from Western NY to Cincinnati for a memorial service was made much easier by having NO problems or disappointments with booking this motel or completing our stay. Najwa, Laura and Wanda each did their part in check-in and breakfast accommodations. Check-in and check-out involved some changes requested both by the hotel and ourselves and they worked it all out with friendliness and skill. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. We'd stay there again with
Great place to stay! Excellent customer service, economical, clean, and an amazing team of folks. The complementary breakfast absolutely put the icing on the cake. Just to name a few, cook to order egg omelettes and good old fashion grits and pastries from Panera. My family and I spent an overnight stay with this hotel and we were utterly impressed with how friendly and courteous the staff all were. Would have rated a 5, but our toilet had plumbing issues and no maintenance crew was available on night shift and the front desk clerk came to the rescue with the handy dandy plunger. Also, the fitness center was closed due to reconstruction. We'll certainly return in the summer months. Definitely recommending this hotel for your lodging needs.
I have never stayed at a Best Western before and normally would not. We were in town for a family event, and the hosts got a block room rate at this BW, so we decided to stay there with everyone else coming from out of town. It was (surprisingly to me) very comfortable, very clean, spacious rooms, great breakfast including freshly prepared oatmeal and fresh fruit, the staff were all very nice, at an incredibly reasonable price.
Laura greeted us when we arrived and was most helpful answering our questions about the area and roads. She also gave tips to make our stay in the area very fun. The hotel is beautiful inside and esp for the price. Our room was a double queen with an additional sitting area and wet bar. Very nice. No complaints. Across from alot of restaurants and shopping. Very easy to get to and was very quiet. Also had a chef make omelets every morning to order. Other food items were also very good. Def make this one of your stays in Cincy and you will not be disappointed.
We made a last minute decision to stay overnight and this BW Plus was near our son's home so we booked a room. Got in about midnight and the staff was amazing in their greeting and friendliness. The hotel is nice, the room was average due to typical wear and tear at a busy hotel but the breakfast and check-out was very good. This was a very good value for a hotel in a city.
We will continue to visit the area and stay at this specific hotel. Staff are all about customer service and Wanda serves the best made to order omelets and grits! Front desk personally make chocolate chip cookies for us and they were WARM and FRESH! Love staying here and the suites are a perfect size for a weekend visit.
The hotel was clean. The room was adequately big in size. The breakfasts were very good. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is excellent; close to a major highway, restaurants and an excellent shopping mall.
This Best Western hotel is the best one we have stayed in to date. The room was large and comfortable. The staff was gracious and friendly. The breakfast area was well stocked with cereal, a waffle maker and an omelette bar (Wanda makes a delicious omelette). The afternoon shift of Max and Jen were always happy to comply with a request for quarters for the washer/dryer or a vacuum cleaner for spilled food in the room. All in all it was a great place to stay while my family and I explored Cincinnati and northern Kentucky.
This was the BEST hotel experience I have ever been so fortunate to have! This hotel was a great middle ground in being both affordable and wonderful. If I ever visit Cincinnati again I would definitely stay here again. The lady that made the omelets was wonderful and so nice. And the front desk agents were wonderful as well. It was also quiet, safe and in a WONDERFUL part of town. Right across from Kenwood Shopping Centre and the movie theater. This is a perfect spot to stay in if you want to enjoy shopping and be close to everything. It is about 20-30 minutes away from Downtown, but that's more than okay with me because I would rather sleep here than close to downtown. If I had one negative thing to say..and it is very minuscule, there wi-fi did have problems connecting on occasion, but I never called to address it because I still had my cell phone 4G and honestly it is not that big of a deal. I also used their business center internet and printing, so that is an option as well. The internet problem does not take away the fact that they provided 5 star service and it is a 5 star hotel to me!
Comfortable beds and great breakfasts are two of the highlights of this Best Western Plus. We choose to stay here because of the proximity to our family members in Cincinnati - it has become a tradition for us for our Thanksgiving and Easter visits. And being right next to the Kenwood mall is an added bonus for those quick shopping excursions. If you are lucky enough to be staying on a Saturday or Sunday morning, don't miss the warm hospitality that Wanda provides in abundance - along with her grits and sausage. She will make you feel like a part of the family.
Hotel staff was amazing. I was with a large family group in town for a funeral. Sad circumstances, but the hotel went above and beyond all expectations to make us comfortable and welcome. Highly recommend.
The staff at this hotel was the best! They were so friendly and accommodating! The hotel rooms were nice also but the staff is what made it a memorable stay! Thank you for a great stay and the support for our teams!
My sister and I were passing thru and stayed at this gem. Room was fantastic, but what really stole the show was breakfast. Wanda was fryin' up eggs for everyone! Wanda was the best! She was warm and welcoming and always smiling. She even fried up breakfast for me to take back to my sister who was still waking up in our room! The service was above and beyond our highest expectations. We know where to stay next time! Thanks Best Western!
There was a bedbug in our room! We immediately left the hotel at midnight to find somewhere clean to stay and some if our clothes were ruined from washing them on high heat at 2am in the morning. The hotel would not reimburse us and told us there were no bedbugs after the hotel staff came up to the room and saw it crawling around. I will never stay here again.
A great location that is central to most everything Cincinnati has to offer. Omelet bar in the morning for breakfast along with usual breakfast fare. Staff extremely helpful and friendly and room service was fast and efficient.
Pulled in and was greeted outside by front desk person asking if I needed any help. It was about 30 degrees out so was very impressed by that. I said I didn't and came inside to check in. Was informed that the room I had booked was in the middle of a bunch of high school wrestlers traveling and she would upgrade me to keep me away from the noise I'm sure she knew would come. Said they offered beer and wine in the dining area so came back for a few drinks. She was bright and bubbly and made the start of my stay relaxing. The next morning there was a bunch of ladies whipping up breakfast. They had all the guests smiling and getting their days started off right! Would stay here again!!!! Oh and the suite she upgraded me to was very comfortable.
We have been staying at this hotel since I started studying at Xavier University. We have loved it every single time! The rooms are always fresh and clean, the staff is so friendly and accommodating, and we absolutely love the breakfasts put on by Ms. Wanda! She hand-makes every guest their very own eggs or omelet, and is there for a fun laugh in the mornings! So glad we found and always come back to the BW here in Kenwood area!
The best thing about this hotel is the hospitality. The manager Wanda made us feel right at home. She greeted everyone coming to the breakfast area. She paid attention to every detail. We will definitely be coming back.
I had the most amazing experience at the breakfast bar in this nicely kept hotel. The attendant had made special food, including fresh asparagus and mushrooms, soul-food style! C'mon! When does that happen at a chain? She said, the manager basically let's me do what i want. It was more like a restaurant, than an impersonalized breakfast bar. I love to have people eat, she said, as she delightfully invited people to join her and eat. It was really an exceptional experience.
From entering the hotel to going to bed in a very comfortable bed, this hotel is home away from home. A very friendly and welcoming atmosphere, very very very friendly staff and great breakfast - the best of all BW I know! The best hotel in Cincinnati, not in the rush of downtown but just few minutes driving. My family and I consider it home, every time we are around we gotta stop there! Awesome!!!!!!!!
Nice Hotel.Very good location near lots of restaurants and a huge mall. Rooms are big and clean.Friendly staff and a very good breakfast, custom made omelets, yummy. Overall a pleasant stay ,would stay here again.
Upon checkin My family and I were greeted with a warm smile and it was appreciated...very cold outside!!! Hotel had great breakfast and rooms were large and clean. The only downside of the whole experience was no acknowdledgement for Diamond status...Otherwise great staff and hotel!
Great Western was very convenient, comfortable and accommodating. Staff was friendly and professional. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Lobby area was welcoming with a sitting area and breakfast area.
This hotel was a great find, close to family and the store's (MALL). Easy access to I 75 and all main roads to Cincinnati and Columbus. The hotel looks fairly new, our room had a microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker everything to have a good Stay.
We spent one night to go see The Menus at a bar close by. Very nice room and location for us. Good breakfast. The staff was very nice and accommodating. Enough parking for both of us and our jet skis. We were heading to Cumberland lake, KY with our jetskis.
A wonderful hotel in a nice neighborhood! Shopping, sight-seeing, and visiting family was simple from this Best Western hotel. It has a nice breakfast bar, complete with waffles or omelets. A great value for your money!
This hotel is worth the trip. The area is not well lit, the front sign is not recognizable. But if you look up way in the heavens, you will find it. The business center is comfortable. The exercise room is not easy to find, but nice. However, the staff is on it! The breakfast prepared each morning was good! This hotel is with the adventure.
The dead bolt lock could not completely 'set' and I talked to the Head of Maintenance about this and he came and fixed the problem within ten minutes and was courteous too Night desk clerk was friendly
Always a great stay here - comfortable mattresses and caring, responsive staff. Be sure to take breakfast on Saturday morning - Wanda's grits and sausage, served with butter and love, are not to be missed!
Rooms were very nice and clean, with a great kitchen and bath. Staff was very courteous and professional. I highly recommend this hotel for a quick getaway or a smart, economical weekend. For the price, you won't be disappointed. I will be back.
The very warm, friendly and personal-service-oriented staff, and the homey atmosphere of the hotel was a welcome surprise when I came out to stay with a sick aunt, and then returned for her funeral. It is very unusual to have such a happy, friendly, caring atmosphere in a hotel--where staff knows and cares about guests, and guests even connect with each other. Breakfasts were great!
Great value. Hotel was really nice. The staff was the friendliest I have ever met (all shifts). Breakfast was fantastic. Great variety and quality. They had a lot of bakery. Staff personally makes the grits and they are fantastic. I would highly recommend this hotel to stay in. This hotel is a really great value for the price. Location is great. A really nice mall with plenty of restaurants right across the street.
Wanda was the best! She went out of her way to make us happy and get us what we needed. The overall stay was great. I would definitely stay here again. It was in a good location for restaurants and things to do !
We stayed at this very nice hotel in northern Cincinnati after attending a talk by Captain "Sully" Sullenberger in downtown. Our Garmin could not find it, so just follow the directions provided by the hotel. It is located west of the I-71 overpass and east of the back of the Kenwood Mall, on the north side of East Galbraith. Sign is not well lit so watch carefully for it. We had a suite (hadn't requested it) with full size fridge and kitchen appliances, 2 TVs, really comfy bed. Nice breakfast, friendly staff, clean. We would stay here again.
Nice room. Easy clean remotre controls. Room 108 had a cook top, microwave, fridge, kitchen cabinets and sink. Large couch and TV in "living room" area. TV in bedroom. Large bed and closet. The omletter chef at breakfast was great.
The staff were extremely helpful and made sure our needs were well cared for. Service was exceptional. I will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great experience! Tell them AJ sent you!
Staff, room, cleanliness, comfort and quietness was excellent. I would recommend this hotel to anyone needing a recommendation. The beds/pillow tops -- my goodness -- slept like baby. Easy access on and off highway.
I've been staying here about 3 years now for business. There has been a few different people through the years but everyone of them treated me like I was a part of the family or a friend that they knew for years. They treat everyone this way! The rooms are nice, the breakfast is good but the people make it great!
We stay here when visiting our daughter at college. Staff is extremely nice and always helpful. Our room was great, and clean. Close to great areas and the mall. Lots of restaurants close by. Will definitely stay here again.
I've stayed at this hotel weekly for almost ten years. The staff is outstanding. The rooms and services are an outstanding value. It is next to the highway but it isn't so loud that the HVAC fan can't cover the sound. It is safe and clean. You can walk to the Kenwood Mall and to LA Fitness.
Great hotel, great customer service and support staff. Cleanliness at its best! Their front dest evening staff are very competent and knowledgeable. I will be returning to CINCINNATI When I do your my first stop@
Nice rooms, comfortable bed, and the breakfast was awesome. Made to order omelets. Also some of the best grits. Staff was friendly. Lobby area was clean and comfortable. Complimentary coffee in the lobby.
We have stayed here over the past 5 years and it has deteriorated considerably both in ambiance and quality of service. When we arrived, there was a chair missing from the room and one of the ceiling lights was out which was never replaced. There are safety concerns as well. Our room was just a few feet away from the rear entrance which required the use of the room key. On four occasions including one at 2:30 am, I found the door propped open. We used this door because of convenience and at least 8 times my key card worked to get into the building but then I was denied entrance to my room. Most annoying. Other items, • The room was very poorly lit and it was quite difficult for my wife to put on her makeup. • I never received a final bill, no one was available to present me one. This place needs a do over to bring it up to modern times. • One day the room was not made up • A second day we had to point out to the maid service that the room needed cleaning. • One night there was someone sleeping on the couch in the common area. • The hide-a-bed was thread bare with its material sticking out. The place and experience was just plain awful
This hotel was a little difficult to locate based even with GPS assistance. The parking is inclined and causes some difficulty in unloading/loading luggage onto hotel cart. The exterior and interior of the hotel is dated but clean. Breakfast on a Sunday morning was very good with omelets available.
i have stayed at this hotel a few times and will come back once again. Staff is courteous and helpful. Great proximity to downtown Cincinnati for an affordable price. Lots of restaurants in the area to choose from.
This hotel was very clean and in a safe location. The room furnishings were tastefully done and our king room was very spacious. Breakfast was outstanding given we were able to order our own omelets. Good access to Routes 71 and 126.
My husband & I were thrilled to stay here! The beds are so comfortable...pillows...mattress! Free parking! Walking distance from shops and restaurants! The staff went above...and made our stay Amazing! They are friendly, professional, and very supportive!!!! The free breakfast (omelette bar, juices, pastries, bagels...) and staff were wonderful too! Thank you...Thank you for our Wonderful stay...the staff: Jennifer, Najwa, Wanda, Tomika, Hank, Nurbek, Teah, Umeda, & Jen...are The BEST
Friendly staff, great breakfast selection, all around favorite place to stay. Wanda makes our stay fun!!! When she is cooking breakfast, you get a free comedy show from her. The staff is over the top, they took great care of us.
I have not stayed at a BW in many, many years, but the reviews and price on this one lured me there and did not disappoint! In the past, Hampton has been my main choice of chain, now I'm switching to BW! Very clean, nice property with a lovely outdoor pool, everyone was very nice and helpful. The breakfast was great, and the location was good for us - easy in to downtown and back. I'll be staying here again in November, and any time I'm in Cincinnati! Thank you, Best Western Hannaford!
Check-in process was smooth. Wasn't personally given Wi-Fi password but overheard it given to couple checking in ahead of us. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable for a hotel but we're spoiled by our memory foam bed at home so unless it's the same brand we don't sleep as well - not the hotel's fault. Very quiet despite being next to I-71. Wi-Fi was awesome! Water pressure in shower was good. Breakfast selection was generous, and omelets could be made to order, you just had to be in the breakfast area between 7 & 9 am. Overall we had a very pleasant stay.
The front staff was great, Wanda was especially nice and went out of her way to make people feel comfortable and like they are part of the family. She was one of kind person! I was upgraded on my room since I didn't need 2 beds so that was a plus.. The room was clean and close to shopping and dining. We went to the zoo the next day and not a bad drive to there from the hotel. I would definitely stay again..
Stayed overnight after attending baseball game and day on Cincinnati. Have stayed here previously. Good quality rooms, very good breakfast and easy access to interstate. Next to shopping mall if one wanted something to do in leisure time. Used pool and workout room. Both are good facilities and seemed well maintained.
I could not believe how great my room was. Quiet, huge, kitchen, clean, comfortable bed. Even good water pressure! I wish I had been here more than one night. I got a fantastic night of sleep. I do have to say that the staff is awful. Rude and lazy. Also, there is no manager on the weekend, which caused some major problems for me when the ignorant front desk staff messed up my checkout. I do recommend this location, though. Great room!!
After driving 11 hours, we were SO happy to see the Best Western Plus! We were cheerfully greeted upon our arrival. The lobby smelled of fresh baked cookies. The lobby area is open to the dining area and appears spacious and clean. We were given a choice of which floor we would prefer, which is always nice! We chose the 4th floor and were very happy with our room. The beds were very comfortable. There was a nice small couch in the room as well as a desk with a chair. The microwave and refridgerator was an added bonus. Breakfast was delicious, with made to order omletes, fruit, toast, waffles, yogurt, coffee, juice, cereal, etc. There is an outdoor pool, at the back of the parking lot. The hotel itself is near a mall and some placecs to eat, as well as being close to the highway. If we are ever back in the area we would be sure to stay here again.
We had a two day stay will visiting family in a local hospital. The mattress was very poor for day 1 of our stay and resulted in very poor sleep the first night. However, the hotel manager willingly moved us to a new room for the 2nd night, which was a marked improvement. I would rate the hotel higher if not for the night 1 issue with the mattress.
Would definitely recommend this hotel. The rooms were very nice and clean. Rented 2 rooms. Both had 2 queen beds with kitchenette and a sofa bed. The staff was so friendly...especially Hank...was so nice talking to him everyday. Jen at the front desk was great and Dorey made some good omelettes. Free breakfast, free wifi and pool were all nice perks. 24 hour coffee in the lobby. Close to the mall and restaurants. Easy access to the interstate. Would stay here again if ever in the area.
A gem hidden in the bustle of Cincinnati. Close to shopping, dining and tourist attractions. The hotel staff will be the visit well worth the time. Make sure to stay for the complimentary breakfast in the morning, the staff and menu choices are excellent.
Well-maintained property. Friendly and efficient staff. A great hotel with many amenities. Very comfortable, quiet and clean. Parking is handy and safe. Staff worked to ensure a comfortable stay. Easy access to expressways and located in an area for shopping and restaurants.
Request change of sheet due to blood on sheet. Was not done. Asked clerk to come to room to see and she said that she believed me. She offfered a small compensation. We asked if it could be more. Clerk turned around and picked up a phone. She said that the manager Yvonne would call about compensation when she came in to work. Manager didn't call so I called. Manager said that she wasn't aware of situation which was strange after clerk said that she called and wrote on call that manager would call and do something. Manager went to talk to clerk and came back and said that clerk reported that she and housekeeping went up to room and saw no blood. Before I could say we took picture, manager hung on me. Very rude treatment and different stories mean somebody lied. Picture of the sheet with the blood is on this review. When we checked in we were told that we had been upgraded to a king and clerk then said to staff there aren't enough rooms for tonight. Sorry for person who arrived last.
This was our second stay in 3 years at this hotel. The entire hotel is clean and fresh. Any staff we dealt with were friendly and eager to take care of our needs. The room is clean, spacious and comfortable. As part of the room fee, there is a great breakfast which includes both hot and cold selections. We were there for the pro tennis tournament which was only a 20 minute drive from parking lot to parking lot. That included some heavy traffic and wait time at lights. It is near many restaurants and shopping. We will stay there again.
This hotel was very clean and service was excellent. Jen at the front desk was amazing. Hotel also has a great location. Lots of stores and restaurants nearby. The staff was extremely accommodating to our large group.
The interaction I had with one of their daytime staff members was the polar opposite of the experiences I have had with every other Best Western property I send my employees to. This is the second time I have encountered this issue when I made reservations at this location. I booked a room at a lesser Best Western property for 8 days this week to avoid any interaction with their employee. I attempted to contact their management but had no success.
This is our second stay at this location and we were just as happy as the first. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The staff was attentive and friendly. The breakfast is as good as any I've experienced with the added touch of an omelette cook. This time my review is likely affected by the fact we stayed at a Red Roof Inn the night before to save a few dollars. Never again! I can't stress how absolutely cathartic it was stepping into this hotel and slipping snugly into our beautiful, comfortable suite.
No problems with hotel. Breakfast offered cook to order omelets which was nice and a good variety. My favorite was coffee in lobby anytime you wanted a cup...enjoyed that especially! We stayed there for one night after my nephews wedding in Hyde park area in Cincinnati.
Booked for a family event at the US Bank Area (only a 20 min drive). Was very pleased! Rooms were very nice and clean. Was great to have a full size fridge in the King Suite. Staff was very helpful and accommodating!
This was my first Cincinnati Jazz Festival. We had minimum close hotels to chose from, so my friend found this gem! The atmosphere was a family oriented epitome. The staff was very courteous and treated everyone with the utmost professionalism, but like family. The breakfast was beyond continental...AWESOME!
This Cincinnati franchise may be off the beaten path, but their approach to customer service is definitely five star. When most staffs are dressed casually, front office staff here is dressed highly professional. These, culinary and maintenance staff all greet you as if you're one of their own. I would recommend this particular franchise to anyone staying in Cincinnati. You will not regret it.
Good place to stay if your going to visit cincinnati or north Kentucky. The staff was courteous and very helpful. There is good breakfast everyday and they even make you omelettes custom for you. Nothing crazy special but it will fit your needs for a vacation
Very nice and clean hotel. Staff were all very friendly. Room was great and bed was comfortable. Pool was well taken care of also and great location. Breakfast had many choices and omelet bar was amazing. We Had no issues.
Pros: nice room and decor, tall ceilings. Next to deluxe mall. Cons: desk clerk gave my wife and me only one plastic key. Had to ask for a second after my wife got locked out. Clerk said they were trying to save money. That is a new one for us. Breakfast not until 7:30, so no free breakfast for us. No receipt under the door before you depart--we see that in most nice motels these days.
BW Plus Hannaford provided our best stay so far in our trip around the states. The rooms were large and clean, breakfast is awesome, the omelettes were delicious and the location is great as the restaurants that surround the area are very good. Its only a 10 min drive into Cincinnati too, so you can avoid staying in the hassle and bustle and relax in the quiet. Thanks for a great stay!
This Hannaford Inn Best Western Plus Hotel is one of the best in the hotel industry. The Room comfort, breakfast, Employee interaction are all centered around the customer. It is centrally located to the mall and freeway access to various areas. I rate the overall cleanliness of the hotel both in and out as excellent.
I expected the normal hotel room, but was pleasantly surprised to see our little kitchen! Very clean, only issue was the bathroom door scraping against the tile floor. But not enough of an issue to make me not stay there again!
Hotel was nice, but fell short in some areas. Pool was not available during our stay because of chemicals that were put in the pool. I know this cannot be helped sometimes, but my kids were quite disappointed. After reading some reviews, it seems the pool is closed quite regularly. Room was large but not divided. Decor was okay, but somewhat dated. Closet doors were broken. To use the sofa bed, you had to move an extremely heavy granite table. Yikes! Room was clean. The location was great- several restaurants around, and a huge mall is right down the street. Breakfast was okay, but ladies working omelet station were unprofessional and slow. Too much loud conversation between employees. This hotel was a good value, but I may look around for a different hotel if I stay in the area again.
The room was not clean. The bath tub was not that clean. On my bed I found a lot hair. Overall it's the best location. And the employees where so nice and very helpful. But I was not just happy with my room.
Charge card was overcharged 3 different times for a total of $401.02. They couldn't explain any of this too us. Hotel is clean and very large and great rooms but won't be going back because of the over charge on my charge card. We stayed here because my husband was wheel chair bound and had to see doctor. So it was very close. My husband was stuck on the 4th floor for over 24 hours because the elevator was broken. Scary if you ask me. They did move us to the first floor once they got it working again. But if we won't have kept complaining they wouldn't have gotten it fixed. The manager/owner didn't care. Front deck tried to get in contact and she never responded to them. Shows that she just doesn't care. I do believe that some of the staff when above and beyond and other's just don't care just like the owner/manager. We won't go back. We had to stay 2 extra days because he missed an appointment because we where stuck on the 4th floor. That's awful.
The hotel had very friendly and helpful staff. We enjoyed the breakfast, which included waffles and freshly-made omelets and a wide variety of pastries. The room was clean and reasonably well-equipped. The AAA rate was a very good value.
From the first step into the hotel, one knows the staff wants to please. Every single staff we interacted with tried to please. The room was spacious and comfortable, including close to a full-size refrigerator. Breakfast choices were fine. When we left it was pouring rain. Would have been nice if the hotel had a big umbrella to help protect us and our belongings. Most parking spaces are on a hill--thus on a big slant. No portico to pull the car under, which would have been nice in the rain. Would certainly stay here if in the area again.
We chose this hotel because it was cheaper than the neighboring hotel where my son's baseball team was staying. Such a great decision. The room was great and we had many extra amenities that were very helpful. The complimentary breakfast was the best I've ever had at a hotel!! More choices including a made to order omelette station. The breakfast hostess, Wanda, was the most cheerful and helpful person each day. She made sure each guest had what they needed and got the day off to a great start. I wish every hotel could be like the Hannaford Inn!!
Perfect stay, friendly staff - roomy suite upgrade at no extra cost! we always choose to stay at the Best Western Hannaford when in Cinci visiting our son's family! Rate was very reasonable as well! You won't be disappointed!
Hotel was clean. Beds were very comfortable. Rooms were good size with microwave, refrigerator, and couch. Lots of highway noise since it is located right next to interstate. Good breakfast. Nice pool. Good value for price. Would definitely stay here again.
Due to my new location, I booked a handicapped accessible room at this location for 3 nights for my sister and brother-in-law who visited me for Father's Day weekend. They were a little apprehensive due to not being familiar with the area based on staying at other hotels in the Springdale area. My sister stated, the hotel cleanliness, room decor, breakfast and the great hospitality shown by the staff, especially Wanda, changed her mind and she looks forward to staying there again in the future. I want to personally thank the staff for their hospitality.
Everyone was very nice. The outdoor pool was great (remember to bring a towel from your room). Breakfast was a very good value and the room itself was very spacious. It was located close to the Original Montgomery Inn which was awesome and the mall across the street looked very nice.
We stayed at the Best Western Plus Hannaford Inn during a family vacation. We had some car trouble before checking in, and the members of the staff were extremely helpful and caring in finding a place to get it fixed, even offering to find us a ride if we needed one (thankfully, we didn't). The breakfast was good, including made to order omelettes, and the bed was comfortable, but the friendliness of the staff is what put it a cut above most other hotels, at least in my opinion.
Great hotel. Clean, quiet, and well cared for. Staff were amazing. Najwa at the front desk was extremely helpful and courteous. She balanced assisting breakfast with the check out process. She quickly responded to our request for glasses in our room! She is very friendly and professional. Max was cooking omelets during our stay and was also wonderful. He was cheerful and attentive to the placement of the omelet orders. Food was wonderful. Last, but not least, Wanda. Her gregarious personality added to the warm, friendly environment that we experienced at the hotel.
We felt very welcome at this Best Western. The staff was very friendly, and we would especially like to point out Wanda who prepared and served breakfast for us during our 3 day stay. She was very friendly and helpful and we hope to see her again.
The breakfast here is very awesome as was the service of the employees.we stay here often. There is a mall that's close and it's very very nice. Might be a little pricey for Best Western, but it's nice.
We just stayed at this Best Western Hotel. The reviews were unbelievable and based on them we booked the hotel. Unfortunately, the reviews and our stay were at a major disconnect. The hotel was far from clean, air conditioning units very loud, bathrooms dirty and breakfast sort of a "who's on first base" Perhaps we stayed there during a very crowded time and had an abnormal experience. In any event, we viewed this as a below average budget hotel and rated as the same.
My wife, her sister and I arrived about an hour and a half before check-in time. Our reservations were found but there were no double queens available for our three night stay. We were offered an upgrade to a king with a fold out sofa. I asked if it was accessible but unfortunately, no. The staff was understanding and I felt they were truly concerned with my situation. After a minute or two, she said how about a king suit with a fold out sofa? I asked about the sofa and was advised they were recently replaced and it should be comfortable. After the three night stay my sister-in-law agreed. The room was ready to occupy and we moved in. It was huge, one of the largest in which I have stayed. Breakfast is included and was mostly continental except for custom made omelets, cooked in front of you. The staff was excellent. The hotel was excellent and thanks to them, we had an excellent get-away adventure.
Do not stay here. A week after I stayed at the hotel, I checked my credit card statement and there was an extra $200 charge. I called the hotel to inquire and they claim I was smoking in the room. I don't even smoke. Absolutely ridiculous. And the staff was of no help when I called.
I typically like Best Western and this one of the nicer ones. Just two notes: Pool is seasonal and so even though we were staying Memorial Day weekend we did not get to swim in pool because it didn't open until Memorial Day Monday. This is pretty standard, but it would be nice if they could open it the Friday of Memorial Day weekend. Also the parking lot is kind of long and skinny. It has plenty of room for cars/vans, but if you have a trailer or big moving truck it might be a little more tricky. That being said, we didn't, so perhaps if you ask the hotel they might have a solution for you.
Pleasantly surprised by how nice this hotel was.....comfortable bed, nice clean room, friendly staff, easy access to the x-way......will stay again next time we're in the area and would recommend to anyone staying in the Cincinnati area.
The pool wasn't open on Memorial Day weekend. That is one thing that's a "must have" for us when traveling with kids. They also advertise omelets, but only have 1 person with 2 burners making them. There was a significant wait to get one in the morning. A stay with a pool could have been had for a lesser price.
A recent stay exceeded my expectations and I will stay here more often moving forward. I typically stay at higher tier (business oriented) hotels but client had a corporate rate. The stay exceeded my expectations. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Room was clean and bathroom was clean without any slow drains. Room was pretty quiet even though it faces the highway.
They made omlets for breakfast! Individual omlets done by a chef! That is a first for the many, many hotels we've stayed in. Our room was a suite and very nice. The staff very friendly and helpful. Free parking, better than the hotels further in the city which cost 7 or 8$ a day. A real find.
Quiet, comfortable stay at reasonable rates. Situated near highway for easy-on, quick drive to the Cincinnati riverfront. Even non-suite rooms are quite large. Breakfast includes a nice touch with made to order omelets.
The only surprise at a Best Western Hotel is the consistently great rooms whenever we stay at a Great Western Hotel! This was no exception. Great room, good breakfast, convenient to our desired purpose for our trip!
I absolutely enjoyed the hotel the atmosphere from the lobby to the suite was just so relaxing. My husband and I haven't had a getaway in some time now but this was a great pick we were so close to the mall. To top it all off the hotel staff Wanda is a jewel her personality and dedication to making my stay and breakfast experience was top of the line. She needs to be teaching all the staff at all the hotels how to greet and treat customers. We will definitely come back!!
My first stay at this hotel was 4 years ago when I lost my dad. The Hannaford proved to be just the facility I needed at that time. Quiet, clean, spacious, classy, wonderful staff...from the desk clerk to the cleaning staff...this is just what I needed to calm my nerves at that time. Since then I've always loved staying and resting at this hotel. Even though it faced the highway, it was always quiet and I enjoy watching traffic go by in my down-time. The best is Ms. Wanda Hogan and her mint-lemon-lime water and her grits...."GIIIIRRRLLLL!" I'm not a breakfast eater but her grits are "mom's recipe" delicious! I'll be back in the area this summer and intend to stay here again!!!
We stayed here for a few days to visit with friends and go to a concert. The room was clean and the staff were helpful and friendly! Would definitely recommend this hotel! The breakfast was included as well and was amazing!
Visiting Cincinnati for a graduation from "X". The hotel is close to 71, so it's easy to head downtown. The is a very nice shopping center across the street from the hotel. The room was nice complete with a small kitchen which we didn't use. Everything was clean. The breakfast was good. The staff was very friendly and made omlets to order. We will be back!
There was only one mirror and it was in the very small bathroom. The room was clean and nicely decorated but the bed not as comfortable as memory foam. We were in town for graduation so it served our purpose.
The staff was helpful! Nice spacious rooms! They were bringing in new leather couches for the rooms while we were there! And don't miss Wanda's grits (and wonderful personality) and Max's omelets! Really great atmosphere!
Convenient, clean, super friendly staff. I love staying here! The made-to-order Omelettes at breakfast are a special touch. This is my go-to place to stay in Cincinnati. Thank you for taking such good care of us!
We stay here when visiting family in Cincinnati, and have always been satisfied. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Motel could be updated, but is clean and comfortable. This motel is next to the highway, but doesn't seem to be a problem with noise. Will probably stay here again when visiting as the location is convenient for us.
Clean and quiet. It is conveniently located near the freeway. The staffs are courteous and helpful. One of the biggest shopping mall lies within easy walking distance. It is close to downtown attractions.
Was a great stay, wifi was a downfall, especially when we needed it to contact family and friends, or find locations around us. Other than that it was great. Location excellent. Staff exceptional. Experience excellent. Big room big bed!
Stayed here 2 nights to attend graduation ceremony at NKU. Good proximity to Cincinnati activities. Very nice room size and decor. Clean room and lobby. Staff was friendly and helpful. Decent breakfast . Price was good
My husband and I go to cincinnati often to visit family. This was the first time I have ever stayed at Hannaford Inn & Suites. The hotel was very clean and well kept. Our room was quiet and very comfortable. The kitchenette was a plus as were were able to keep refreshments and leftovers in the refrigerator. The check in was a breeze. We were warmly greeted by Jamie who had a wonderful smile and was very attentive to our requests and needs. She helped to make our stay a pleasant one. This hotel is conveniently located close to some of our favorite restaurants in Cincinnati: First Watch, Trios and Stone Creek. We will definitely be returning. As a matter of fact, I've already booked us for our next visit this month! What a find!!
Best while around Oakley or Hide Park. Clean, efficient and worth the not expensive price. Large room. Average breakfast, with a well done omelets. Close to the highway. quite environment. Very recommended.
My husband and I took a quick trip to cincinatti to celebrate his birthday. We chose this particular hotel because we have a newborn and they have rooms with kitchenettes. We were not pleased with the experience we can. Upon arriving to check in we were greeted by a staff member that was dressed like she just rolled out of bed. Messy hair, sweat pants, and a white tank top with her chest hanging out. It was 3pm on a Saturday, not the middle of the night. I am certain her management would've been furious to see the way she was dressed on the job. Once we got to our room we found it to be somewhat updated (newish paint/furniture) but the carpet was old and left the room smelling of musty cigarette smoke. The sheets had stains on them and the top duvet looked as if it hadn't been washed in quite some time. I didn't want to put my baby on the bed, let alone sleep in it. We stuck it out for the one night we had booked, but I'm certain we will not book a best western hotel again.
We stayed here on our way North from Florida. Definitely will stay there again. Parking is free and easy. The Staff was welcoming and helpful with dining recommendations. My husband took advantage of the extremely inexpensive, but good glass of wine before we left for dinner. Our suite was large, comfortable and immaculate. Breakfast was better than the Tavares, Florida Best Western Plus. This one actually has made to order omelettes. Be sure to ask what time these are available each morning. We enjoyed the Tavares, Florida Best Western Plus, but this Plus was a step or two above that one.
During the reservation process I had a serious concern regarding a front desk employee, however, it was resolved by the manager quickly and I appreciate that. Overall, there are a lot of nice things about this hotel. It is in one of the best Cincinnati neighborhoods (Kenwood), very accessible to the highway and all attractions, and the nightly rate is good. The amenities of the hotel will make you feel right at home; large suites with full kitchens and separate sleeping area, guest laundry, free parking, small gift shop, pool, and more. The complimentary breakfast was great with an engaging and attentive chef. Thumbs up!
Recently we stayed four nights at this Best Western. From the moment we checked in to our checkout we had a wonderful experience, not because of anything fancy, but because the workers took a personal approach with their guests. From Wanda on the desk, to the young man making omelets, all employees were genuine and personal. These are qualities seldom seen in a hotel under $100 per night. We have stayed in another best western about 7 miles away for double the price and the workers did not practice half the level of service. If you need a place to stay close to I71 and the Kenwood Mall I totally recommend the best western hannaford. (We travel about 50 days a year and always stay here when we are in Cincy.)
My family (wife and 3 kids) decided to take a quick 2 day trip down toward Cincinnati for Spring Break. I looked on TripAdvisor and found the Best Western Plus Hannaford Inn & Suites and decided to book it because of the great reviews. And let me tell you... we were not disappointed!!! The Hotel was immaculately clean and the front desk staff was very kind and helpful. We pulled in late (midnight) and asked for a crib for our youngest and the front desk person kindly went and found one and had it delivered to our room immediately. When we arrived in the room we were caught off guard by not only how spacious it was but how clean it was... and we only paid $89.00 for the night!!! It was one of the nicest rooms we have stayed in... on par with the Embassy suites in size and cleanliness at a fraction of the cost. In the morning, we enjoyed a free breakfast downstairs before leaving with tons of pastry options, cereal, cooked to order omelettes, waffles, and more. The dining area was spacious and very clean. This was an incredible stay and my family will definitely be back the next time we are in Cincinnati. If you are looking to stay in Cincinnati... don't let the low price scare you away... this place is high class and quality! Thank you for a great stay!
We were pleasantly surprised at this hotel. We were able to book this hotel at a very reasonable rate. We are a family of five, so sometimes it is trying to accommodate all of us. The room was spacious enough for all of us to sleep comfortably. The breakfast was enjoyable. The hotel is located in close proximity to a big mall and plenty of restaurants. We would stay in this hotel again.
This hotel is the best kept secret in the Cincinnati area! This hotel provides great hospitality, clean room, and great omelet bar in the morning. I have never been disappointed when I stay at this hotel. I highly recommend it to others.
My husband and I stayed here for one night. We were visiting a family member that lived about 10 minutes from this hotel. We booked a standard room, but they upgraded us to a suite, which was very nice. We actually thought we were going to get a queen sized bed and ended up with a king, which was great. The room was clean. The bed was very comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was excellent. For such a short stay, this place was perfect and at a very competitive price.
Pleasant stay when your working out of town!! Lots of things close by to do .. good places to eat all around close by! It's very close by the jacks casino.. not a far drive very convenient.. very nice little town .
Didn't even see this hotel when I booked it but was very pleased when I got there with the environment of yet very nice hotel. Will be returning. Would have like to know more about the assessories that were available to us for the handicap rooms like raised toilet seats. And couch folds out into a bed. Other than that it was excellent!
We normally stay at a Hilton or better when traveling or on vacation but elected to give his hotel a try. Everything about our stay was a pleasant surprise. Very clean, quiet and well decorated lobby and room. Free breakfast included an omelette station. Would recommend to anyone.
My stay at this hotel was excellent. It is in a great location. 15 minutes to everything. Staff was excellent. And the omelettes at breakfast were delicious. I will definitely return to this hotel in the future.
The rooms are big and clean. Has a mini kitchen with microwave oven, eating utensils. Shower is glorious and we slept soundly. Max, the guy from the front desk is very helpful and is efficient. The hotel is near a big mall -- Kenwood. Breakfast is just basic but good enough as they have an omelette bar from 730-930am. Coffee and tea is available anytime and located at the lobby. Free wifi and free parking!
Upon checking in, the front desk clerk Jamie, was pleasant and friendly. The room was fabulous and I was very pleased with choosing this hotel. A situation arose in which another guest left their dog in their room to go out to dinner and it began to bark non-stop. Jamie took control of the situation calmly and professionally. Jamie told me that she was able to reach the pet owners, but they said they were out to dinner and would not be returning right away. Jamie reassured me in a composed manner that the conduct of the pet owners would not be tolerated. She offered to move me to another room, but as we were talking, the guest that had the dog returned. Jamie courteously asked them to leave with their dog. Jamie took care of the situation, and turned what could have been disastrous, into a good experience for not only me but other guests as well. Best Western is fortunate to have such a great person working for them. Good job Jamie!
This hotel was fantastic. Thank you for upgrading our room and treating us with the up most respect thanks to Max for getting us settled in. and breakfast was great your omelets was fantastic. I wish all hotels would have your standards. thank you and we will for sure be back I would recommend you to anyone.
Stayed over the weekend for our child's family weekend at a near by college. The hotel was about 15 minutes from downtown Cincy. The room was very great -- one bedroom plus a suite with kitchen, and breakfast in the morning, all for $129 per night. Not usually a big fan of Best Western but this might change our minds.
Stayed here on our family trip to Kings island. Really Nice hotel. They offer a free beverage (soda or adult) which is nice. The pool is a little far away and outside, but there is a pool. They were extremely helpful and accomodating. Would definitely stay again.
Pool chained shut when I specifically asked if it would be open when I made the reservation. Room REEKED of smoke, even though non-smoking facility. TV remote broken, so had to move rooms at 11pm. Pull-out couch for 16 year old son was twin sized with 1 inch thick mattress. He slept on the floor for 2 nights. Issues with bill at checkout...need I say more? Best thing about hotel: location and there are about 10 hotels within 1/4 mile so check those out first!!
Rooms were very clean and offered extra value for your money such as china, microwave freezer and refrigerator. Comfortable bed, very quiet, and its location is convenient to many places both to eat and visit. I was very impressed with the exhaust fan in the bathroom. This is the first place I ever stayed that the fan actually cleared the room leaving no moisture residue on the mirror. Breakfast buffet was excellent with customized omelets. The pool was spotless--a rarity for September. It was difficult to believe you were in the city. I would highly recommend.
If you are in Cincinnati this is the place to stay if you want a quality place to stay that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. The staff go out of their way to help. I stay here 5-6 times a month on business. Rooms are large and spacious
This is the second time we stayed at this hotel. I like the King rooms. It offers a kitchen with a living area and the bedroom is separate. The bathroom is a little small but I can deal with it. The location is near the mall and restaurants.
The desk took quite a good while to get to us waiting in front of her. When I called to reschedule our overnight stay from Friday to Saturday we could only get the king bed so I said o.k. I should have looked for other openings first because we ended up paying $50.00 more than planned and we were just visiting family. I appreciated the clean quiet atmosphere but we have had rooms in other parts of the country which were just as nice with better breakfast areas and did not cost so much.
We stayed here while we met up with family from all over. It was close to restaurants and shopping. The complementary breakfast was extremely good for a place like this. The rooms were good size and accommodated a small family easily with a full kitchen. Very good value for the money
Love this hotel. It's always my first choice whenever I visit Cincinnati Ohio. My Boyfriend and I always enjoy our stay. The staff is very polite and accommodating. My room was also updated without asking. Great experience.
The location, exterior and lobby of the hotel appear that it is a great value. However, our room had hair on the bathroom tub, sink and and floor. Additionally, the towels and sheets appeared old as the towels were worn and the sheets had many snags. Overall, the cleanliness concerns would cause us to avoid staying at this hotel again.
My husband and I booked 2 rooms; one for our adult children and one for ourselves. It was a nice surprise to see how large both were. We had a king suite and they had 2 queens. There was a couch and kitchenette in both rooms. It was a little older hotel, but very clean and the staff was very nice and helpful. The made to order omelets Sunday morning were delicious! (and free!)
We have been coming here for 7 years. Traveling from Mississippi to bring son to doctors. This place is just like home. Clean, inviting, comfortable, awesome staff. A true oasis. If someone gives bad review... They lie.
My wife and I were in town for a ballgame and this Best Western was a pleasant surprise. Best Western is usually a great place to stay, but this hotel a level above. Spacious and clean room, helpful staff, plus they made us omelettes! 10/10 would stay again.
Hotel was very nice and neat. Clean and comfortable. Only downfall was our room was not ready at check in. Majority of the staff was excellent and went out of their way to assist you. Rooms were very nice and priced reasonable. The hotel has a pool but is detached from hotel.
Spent 1 night here and was quite surprised since the rate was so low. Less than $90. Bed was extremely comfortable. Very good no charge breakfast with bacon, sausage, waffles, eggs, pretty good coffee... Only negative was I had asked for a non smoking room and there was signage in the room forbidding smoking, but some selfish idiot smoked in it anyway. Clerk graciously gave me another room
I was quite pleasantly surprised with the amenities and comfort the room provided ... including a mini fridge, microwave, sink and dishes ... we could have brought in food to the room and been quite comfortable. Great beds, nice breakfast, reliable internet. I would book this hotel again.
Located on the edge of the city, near plenty of shopping & restaurants. We enjoyed our king size bed & room. The room was clean, including the carpet. The complimentary breakfast was just okay. There are no fresh options for the omelets and most everything is processed, except for apples & bananas. We booked through Hotwire & felt we got a great deal!
This is a decent hotel and a charming one for Best Western although visually old. A nice touch is someone preparing omelets at the breakfast!!! I only wish this chain would upgrade its pillows from bouncy foam to something softer. Feather would be so nice. My neck is at a 45-70 degree angle on these pillows and I have to sleep without one. While they're at it better sheets and mattresses would be great too but they are passable.
We stayed here after a concert at riverbend. Very clean and quiet. King suite..... Super comfy bed! Delicious breakfast included in the morning. Would definitely stay again. Had full kitchen which we didn't need, but was nice anyway. Called ahead for late check in, no problem. Very nice staff!
Super friendly staff and excellent breakfast. The hotel is super clean, great shower, and spacious rooms. Front desk were kind and went out of their way to accommodate us, especially najwa. The owner was very friendly and even helps with breakfast, even on weekends. I would definitely stay again and highly recommend it.
We were very happy with the Kenwood area Hannaford Inn and Suites. It was clean, well maintained, and had a homey family feel among the service staff. I think it is also very well appointed for people needing to make an extended stay or for business travel.
This hotel is very comfortable and stylishly decorated for a Best Western. I really liked my two-queen room, which has a nice desk, nice TV, mini-frig, microwave, sink and cupboards with glasses, cups, plates, silverware, toaster and coffeemaker. I think the fitness center is very good, unless you are looking for a complete weight machine workout. I didn't get to use the outdoor pool, but it's surrounded by very nice landscaping. My only real complaint was the housekeeping, as it was not done completely any of the days I stayed here. But I would stay here again and recommend it to others.
This is a great place to stay ! The staff here was pleasant and extremely helpful. It has a very neat outside pool rec area off to the side and is great for kids. The hotel is kind of heard to find, but its a jewel, so that is no big deal. It is almost in a residential area, close to the mall. The room was very spacious and clean. The bed was soft and had plenty of pillows. We heard no one from the other rooms or hall. The Kitchenette was well stocked. It is really made for someone who would stay a few days. The bathroom is a little small- but ok. Very clean. The breakfast was typical, however they have a omelette station and that is a plus. We will return here !
Good place to stay for a night while you are travelling. The staff was very helpful. Hotel is clean and room was good. Small kitchen is in the room: fridge, microwave, plates, glasses and all the necessary cutlery you will find. 24- hours in the lobby hot water, coffee. They take the deposit 100$ per night, but when you check out they'll return. Breakfast was included, it was so simple, but it's ok. Our staying was very comfortable. Near located big Mall with everything you need. So I advice this hotel for tourists.
I stay at this location almost weekly because I found this to be a good value. The staff are so very helpful. They always work to get me a wonderful rate. They remember me. The rooms are all large so you feel like you are getting a wonderful deal. The breakfast is great each morning with made to order omelets. i would highly recommend this property to anyone coming to Cincinnati. It is located next to Kenwood Town Center which is a great mall. There are a lot of places to eat nearby.
Spent a night here as a stop-over en route to Tennessee. The reviews were positive and the room rate was good. Finding it was a little tricky as it's just past the I70 overpass and, being set back from the road, can easily be missed. The parking lot seemed small but we managed to find a spot at the back. Check-in was fast and the lobby area is warm and inviting. The room was clean and comfortable with a small sofa and kitchenette. They layout, however, was rather choppy. A small desk and chair blocked easy access to the small bathroom; the TV was parallel to the beds; and the A/C unit blew directly onto the bed nearest it (where I slept) and made comfortable sleep difficult. The free WiFi was among the best I've seen in hotels. Great signal and streaming a ball game from my iPad was flawless. Breakfast was your typical fare, though they had someone making custom omelettes from a hot plate. This, I found, to be a slow process and waited 15 minutes for mine to be ready. Granted, the place was busy but perhaps a second station would help speed things up. The dining area is small for the size of the hotel so get there early if you want a seat. Management had opened up a conference room when there was standing room only. We never used the pool but it's outdoor and located at the back of the property, almost as an afterthought. Seemed busy late in the evening though. If passing through again, I'd give it another go mainly because of the room rate.
Booked this hotel as home base while we explored Cincinnati. It was convenient to the interstate (I-71). The hotel was nice. We were upgraded to a "King" suite, but would have preferred the double room we booked. However, the kitchenette was a nice amenity, although we did not use any appliances other than the full-size fridge. Breakfast was good. The to-go breakfast was just a granola bar, an apple, and mini bottle of water, and could have been better.
Very nice hotel with beautiful extras. Rooms are spacious and well appointed. Beds and linens are super comfortable. Near UC and the Kenwood shopping center. Easy access from the express way. Staff was welcoming and took care to locate our multi-room reservations in the same area and on the ground floor for easy access.
Room could've been cleaner. Hotel could've been cleaner overall. Breakfast was good. Omelets were great! The Cook made me and my Husband omelets even though the omelet time was over. I just feel that what I paid for the weekend stay it could've been a higher level of service (cleanliness). The Staff were very friendly. On my way to the pool and they took my clean white hotel towel and gave me a "pool towel" Though it was clean it was an old faded tattered bath towel rolled up as if they were offering me a fresh absorbent new towel. It was absurd. But because i'm not snobby I took it. With a few changes, I would recommend Hannaford Inn & Suites to others.
This motel was reserved for our New Years base in Cincinnati. It was an excellent choice; one which will be repeated for sure. The hospitality was great even beyond checkout. I received a call on New Years Day, while dining in Newport that slacks and shirt had been dropped in parking lot while loading the car at checkout. We happily returned later after our dinner to reclaim my clothes. This is one of the best Best Western Plus' I have stayed in.
Excellent comfort, cleanliness, overall great experience. Staff was attentive to all needs. We forgot our hanging clothes, called and delivered without question. However I talked to on the phone immediately went and checked our room and called me back. Thank you for best breakfast ever. Went to see the Cubs play and was just a short ride to park. ??
This is a great hotel for many reasons. Conveniently located next to Kenwood Towne Center mall, many restaurants, and tons of shopping. There's an outdoor pool, and full kitchen! I love the king room with separate living area. LOTS of table spaces to set luggage (so not on the floor) or shopping bags, or groceries, etc. Breakfast in morning has all the normal stuff plus waffles and an omelet bar. Staff is always quick to refill something that has run out or help in any way. We see the same staff year after year. The decor is nothing to write home about, but it's not necessary to have a posh stay, especially if you aren't in the hotel room that much. I really like the hotel and will go back again. They also have a deal for patients at Cincinnati Children's Hospital. Good people.
Lovely hotel, located next to a large shopping mall. The king suite was large and clean with a kitchenette. Unfortunately, the sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable. I don't think they have changed the mattress in years! My back was killing me the next morning.
Fantastic customer service. Everything was clean. Was late looking for a room, glad this hotel had one available! Shopping, restaurants, and many other great places so close by! I would stay here again without any hesitation!
Nice Size Rooms with large Mini to almost full kitchens, Great accommodations for families and that was the majority of guests, Located in a very busy shopping area of malls and restaurants. I would highly recommend. I did encounter some occasional attitude with a few of the front desk people other staff was great. The size of the breakfast area is small for the number of guests so one has to maneuver around the guests and children in the area. This area is not limited intentionally but is restricted by the physical plant.
This hotel offers large rooms with comfortable beds, excellent air conditioning with manual control, solid breakfast with the licious custom made omelettes, and a wonderful location. It is located near the Kenwood Mall with its great selection of high quality stores and restaurants. It is a very good deal for what you pay.
This was a nice, quiet place to stay. We had a clean room with very comfortable beds. The area felt very safe. We weren't that far away from downtown Cincinnati, so it was easy to go visit the sites and get back to the hotel. The omelet station was a big hit with my family the next morning!
The hotel was clean, good location, nice outdoor pool area. We were even upgraded to a king suite at no additional cost. Very nice hotel and reasonable price! Freshly made omelets for breakfast. Our room seemed recently updated, not sure if all rooms were. Near highway, but barrier wall seemed to block out major traffic noise. Comfortable bed!
This is a decent place to stay. There are many dining options nearby. We were in town for a baseball game and drive to the ballpark is 20 minutes. The rate was half of a downtown location. Our room had a kitchenette, which we didn't use. The bed was fair and everything seemed clean. There is a highway adjacent to the property which is somewhat noisy, but not intolerable. I wish the toilet had been a comfort height with an elongated bowl, but that seems to be a rarity on the road.
This is a great hotel in an awesome area with lots of places to eat and shop nearby. Rooms are large and include a kitchenette. Everything was clean and well-maintained.The staff was friendly and helpful. This is one of the nicest Best Westerns we've ever stayed at.
Excellent value and service during our stay. Very nice room. We were not placed in rooms that were close together before we arrived, but upon arrival they quickly switched our rooms so that we were placed on the same floor close to one another.
booked this hotel a few months ago as I was going to be in cincy for a Kroger co shareholders meeting....pleasantly surprised at the spaciousness of the room, and the amenities which included a mini kitchen, separate sleeping area, a very comfortable sofa, and a work table... plenty of closet space, bathroom was a little smallish, but, sufficient... bkfst in am was very good, with the made to order omelet being a nice perk....24hr coffee also was a nice touch...( had half and half, which I liked)... would stay again....lots of restaurants nearby, as is the kenwood mall ( Nordstroms, macy's , dillards, etc)
Great suite staff was good James front desk ,very helpful and professional next time in Cincinnati, this is the place, ,,,breakfast, ,the omelet cooked just right, only dislike was the pool was to far from the hotel, an dosent open till 10:00,
From check in to check out, a first class experience! Helpful, Clean, Comfortable,AND a FULL Breakfast including Omelets to order. COMPLIMENTARY! And the price couldn't be beat! We'll be back! Close and convenient to the city!
Very enjoyable stay. Quiet and very comfortable beds. Breakfast was very good and included made to order omelets---never experienced that at a hotel before that offered free breakfast. Very good breakfast. We would stay again.
I travel to this area of Cincinnati for business often but typically stay at a hotel in the Blue Ash area. This is a nice hotel off of I-71 and Montgomery Road. Convenient location although tucked in between a number of medical/hospital buildings. Extremely quiet room felt as if floors and walls were solid concrete (no bounce or obvious noise from the hallway or rooms next door). Desk clerks were very friendly and offered a complimentary upgrade at check-in. Parking is a little limited and there is construction on the road in front of hotel but it wasn't a problem. Nearby to shopping and restaurants. Bed was comfortable as were choice of pillows. Suite had a separate mini-kitchen with living area. Breakfast is fairly standard although they do offer an omelet station that looks like it can get very busy since there's only one attendant for requests. Rest of food was standard and fine. Although I think the room is excellent for the location, price, comfort, quietness, & cleanliness be prepared for dark rooms and not enough light once the sun goes down. Lights are weak in every place except bathroom. Bathroom was small and oddly designed but clean and functional. Televisions are small and picture had a relatively weak signal but again they were functional and I'm only pointing out small issues. I travel for a living and will definitely consider this hotel for all future Cincinnati-area visits.
We were travelling and needed a place to stay, although it was a distance from I-75 it was right off of I-70 which was very convenient. They had a room for under $100 with a AAA discount. I didn't expect much when we arrived but I was pleasantly SATiSFIED! It was a beautiful hotel. Very clean and in a safe area of town. The room was VERY big, with a mini kitchenette. It had all we needed for our one night stay, which was just 8 hours but it was perfect. We had a nice breakfast in the morning to get us on our continued road trip. I would recommend this hotel and stay here again if needed!!
I was very pleased with this hotel and I will absolutely stay here again. The staff is very helpful and they go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need and that your stay is pleasant. The made to order omelettes are very good. There is always coffee in the lobby.
We had a lovely stay at an excellent hotel in a convenient location. Breakfast of made-to-order omelets was wonderful. Room very well appointed and excellent arrangement, squarish layout made it seem roomier with same square footage.
Great hotel. Clean, quiet, excellent breakfast. Large, comfortable suite. The hotel was located near the highway and downtown and a large shopping mall, which made it convenient for us for the entire trip. Only complaint was the hotel's elevator, which was broken for much of the weekend. But I'd stay there again.
I have no complaints about the room or facilities. Shower pressure was excellent. Free breakfast was very good and omelet station was an added bonus. My small family reunion enjoyed their visit and spent many hours on the front 2 benches. Did not give 5 stars because there were some elevator issues during our stay. Luckily I was on 3rd floor.
Nice hotel. Nice staff. The staff is always courteous and will always assist with any questions. The omelette breakfast is always wonderful and hot off the grill. The pool area is always clean and never any garbage laying around the pool or surrounding areas.
Very well maintained, with pleasant helpful staff. stayed in seven different hotels in a seven night trip all in the same price range. This was definitely the best. The internet was good, the aftrenoon social hour a bonus for this price range, the free morning breakfast well done
This is the best hotel of this chain that we have stayed in on our trip. Free breakfast & wifi. Happy hour from 5-7 daily is served in the lobby. I do have one issue though. We were upgraded to a suite with a kitchen & living room as well. However in the bedroom closet they put the HVAC unit & it is so noisy that it makes it very hard to sleep as it turns off & on all night. I do not know what the other rooms are like that are not suites so worth checking on
The place was exceptionally clean and well run. I liked that fact that the fitness room had a tv and was also very clean. The room was spacious and I was upgraded without asking to a suite which was nice.
Wonderful location, just off I-71 and easy access to the back entrance of Kenwood Mall. My room faced the parking lot but was still very quiet. Many good restaurants nearby. Just a few exits from Kings Island Amusement Park. Friendly service. Free breakfast with Omelet station.
Very nicely sized room with a comfortable sofa and quiet enough AC unit. Also very quiet, ensuring great nights of sleep. But there are major issues with the breakfast. Breakfast is very poor to say the least. The only good part of it are the cooked to order omelets. From 7am officially. But in practice, more 7:15am. It's slow. It's like a whole family is working on it, taking between each other loudly, like guests weren't around. Also, staff wasn't very friendly in general. One morning, I got an unwanted wake up call at 6am! I asked the front office to make sure it doesn't happen again on the next day. They did that but didn't even say something like: we're sorry about this. Well, I wanted to sleep that morning! How is it even possible to get wake up calls without having requested one?!
This hotel smelled old and I actually have a sinus infection now from the stuff they used to try to cover up the smell. The cupboards in the kitchen were old. The bathroom was very nice and remodeled. I asked for the roll in shower which may be why it was remodeled. The front desk man, James was unusually helpful and kind. Thank you so much James for making the stay worth while. The company I was doing business with made the reservation for me. I would not stay there again. If you are not sensitive to smells it might be OK for you. There was a refrigerator, microwave and cupboard with dishes. We had a a sofa bed as well. If you were staying several days these would be a nice feature. The sheets and towels felt tacky like they were not rinsed well. I brought my own pillow slip and am glad I did. There were loud truck sounds from the freeway just outside the window.
Room was nice, had granite tabletops and a kitchenette. I requested the lowest floor possible and was placed on the highest floor possible. Staff spent breakfast time talking between themselves in another language. Breakfast options were adequate but not impressive by any means. Pool was small and not heated.
I always stay at Hannaford Inn & Suites when I stay in Cincinnati. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the staff is always very helpful and courteous, and the location is extremely convenient to restaurants, shopping, and I 71.
Overall, our stay was average. I would likely not stay at this hotel again, primarily due to the required room renovations and in some ways the housekeeping. That being said, the price was very reasonable, especially considering the kitchenette area in the room. I will say that our stay was somewhat comfortable, but even for this level of a hotel, I expect more of a freshness to any hotel room in terms of the actual items in the room. I have stayed at many hotels ranging from this price range to higher end. Even with other hotels in this price range, the rooms were much fresher and updated. Let's start with a few positive comments. The majority of employees were friendly, approachable and willing to accommodate. The price was very reasonable, based on what we wanted to spend for this trip. The location is close to Kenwood mall, many great restaurants and is close to many of the hospitals. In fact, the area itself is safe and I would consider it to be progressive, but relaxed. I got a good vibe from the general area. There were a few situations that prompted me to provide only an average rating. Several days prior to our three day stay, I contacted the hotel and inquired about having a room that had been recently deep cleaned due to severe food and environmental allergies. I was assured that we would be provided with one. (The purpose of our trip was for a medical procedure - which required me to not take allergy medication.) I believe we were provided a room that had NOT been deep cleaned in awhile, but I let it go. I have made this request many times (with other hotels) in the past and have always been confident that my request was taken seriously. People with allergies, especially a peanut allergy could die, if for example a peanut crumb was under the bed. I hope that the management reads this, provides training to the staff and in the future, if a request is made, that it be taken seriously. As I said, other hotels and airlines, take these requests very seriously. Upon putting my packed food away, I also found a take out beverage cup full of liquid in the refrigerator. Clearly, this important area of the room had not been cleaned either. I took care of it and moved on. There was also hair in one corner of the bathroom and also in the tub upon arrival. The carpet in the room had dust along the edges. It looked really worn as were the end tables. Pretty much all of the furniture was worn. Including the mattress. The bed had a dip in it and was clearly old. We would seemingly roll in the middle. After the second night of no sleep, I requested a room change due to the mattress. The morning gal (who was especially pleasant) informed the manager and the manger kindly switched our room. The switch was from a Queen to a King Suite. I will say the King Suite was a much better room all-around. If my first impression was the suite sans the other issues, I would probably have given a higher rating. That being said the carpet was still unappealing to me. My feet never touched the floor without my slippers on. I wish I would have requested the room switch after the first night of no sleep, especially considering the other concerns. I do appreciate how the room switch was handled. She was concerned, kind and accommodating. While I would likely not stay here again, unless there were upgrades, I can see how it fits the bill for other people. The king suite would be the way to go if everything else fits your needs.
We recently made a trip to Cincinatti and this motel was not only upscale, but extremely spacious and clean. The location was convenient to downtown , restaurants and all of the activities we were attending. Definitely would stay again.
We loved this hotel while staying in the area. The hotel isn't real big but just enough space to be accommodating. Our room was very big and had an extra place for a sofa. The staff was great and we really enjoyed our stay. It is a great place for the money in the Kenwood area.
Everything was ok....I guess....The sofa bed was all wires...and the omelette maker doesn't start when breakfast starts, we had an early day and looking on the website. It made it seems like the omelettes were for the entire duration of breakfast and it was not. The front desk person was rude, I called a few days before stating I would be arriving late and wanted a later check out time. I thought that was arranged but got rude a phone call basically rushing me and my parents out the room.
I always enjoy staying here. Nice accommodations and great price. The rooms are spacious and beds are very comfortable. In the mornings they have a good breakfast selection plus an omelet bar. The staff are always very courteous and friendly too. Overall always a great experience when I stay here. And I have been doing so for over 8 years
Check-in and check-out staff were very professional and pleasant. The room was very comfortable and clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the location was perfect. Everything was quite excellent and for an excellent price.
The convenience to my needs is good. The location is a bit difficult. The hillside location and the nearness to the expressway make it a bit less inviting. Location is my only real reason for choosing this hotel. There are other hotels four miles north that are better, but in season you begin to run into the Kings Island crowed and hallway is full of screaming kids.Yes, this a bit is out of the way, but that's also mostly its appeal. The hillside can be difficult in wet or freezing conditions. It you have any problems walking I would not recommend this hotel. It is close to shopping and an abundance of food offerings. It's just that hillside location that can become difficult. I have stayed several times and have fallen twice after a freezing rain and light overnight snow. They need to be overly reactive to these problems and have instant solutions ready. At least salt and post slippery sigs immediately when warranted.
I have stayed at this location numerous times and you can count on consistent value each and every time. You can't go wrong! Nicely appointed rooms. A nice array of options for a light breakfast to start your day. Easy access on and off the highway.
This is only our second time staying in Best Western family of hotels and we found the room to be clean and lots of room. The staff at the front desk were knowledgable about restaurants and shuttle service. Breakfast was adequate and omelettes made to order at breakfast.
Very nice hotel, clean comfortable and the staff are most accommodating. This hotel is close to restaurants and highways and easy access to downtown Cincinnati. The front desk was very helpful with directions.
The hotel was clean and the staff was very helpful. The breakfast could have been more full service. Also, you could hear every little thing out in the hallways. Could use better soundproofing in rooms.
Staff goes above and beyond. Conveniently located to downtown Cincinnati, and surrounding area attractions, most of which was about 20 minutes. Can't say enough good things about the staff, very friendly, and helpful.
An excelent hotel, the people at the reception where really nice, The breakfast omelet bar was really good, the room was really comfortable and the gym was really nice, inviting to do some exercise. It was an over all nice experience.
In town for a 90th Birthday party and stayed at the Best Western Plus in Cincinnati. The hotel staff were very professional, breakfast omelette was very good and rooms were comfortable and clean. We even had a fridge, microwave and dishes in the cabinet in our room. I would definitely stay here again!!
Glad I found the Fantastic Hotel that was close to my Sons home and Great Restaurants and Shopping. This hotel is close to everything and looks like it has been updated recently. We checked in early and were staying for 2 nights so they gave us a King Suite. Service by the staff was friendly and took care of everything very quickly. Breakfast was included and excellent and in the evening they have a happy hour from 5-7 with first drink $0.01 and Wine was $3.00 there after with snack available at no charge. If you are going to the Eastern area of Cincinnati this is the place to stay, Great Value.
We were so pleased to find that the hotel had a staff member creating make-to-order omelettes at breakfast--what a treat after a week of boring hotel breakfasts while on the road! The front desk staff was very friendly and the location is close to I-71 and Kenwood mall.
I wish more attention was paid to the incredibly loud music, slamming doors, and overall loudness. I hardly got a couple hours of sleep. When on a business trip, your sleep is very important. After calling the front desk for the music already, it calming and then returning, I gave up and went to the couch.
I'd stayed here in the past. I wanted to being my sweetie. We requested a high floor and got a lower one..no biggy. Young man at check in was super nice. Room was very cozy....EXCEPT....housekeeping must of missed a few spots? The mirror to the bathroom was very dirty.. and there were a pair of men's basketball shorts in the corner very noticeable..what??? That had never happened. We were sorta shocked. I wondered if the room even got cleaned very well after that. I guess you pay good money so you expect the guest before you.. for housekeeping to clean their clothes up.. craziness. Breakfast was okay. Staff seemed nice but the cleaning issue was a disappointment.
We decided to treat ourselves to a full suite, and it was well worth it. At one third the cost at a downtown hotel we got a two rooms with the bedroom closed off by a door plus a full kitchen. I could turn on the light and work while my wife slept. She could watch TV without me being forced to listen. The breakfast was average for a budget hotel, but there was a person making omelets to order. Nothing out of order. We'll certainly go there again.
I recently stayed at the BW Hannaford for one night. From the moment I stepped in to the hotel I was treated by staff that were courteous, accommodating and very pleasant. I came an hour before check in time and was told that there may not be a room ready. It was not a problem and I decided to grab a bite to eat until check in time. When I came back I was pleasantly surprised. I was upgraded to a King Suite at no extra charge. The suite was spacious, clean, quiet and exceeded my expectations. When I realized that I forgot a shower cap and cosmetic cleansing, the staff provided me with them. The next day I checked out early in the morning because I knew I would not return until after checkout time. The staff were kind enough to keep my luggage while I was away. Upon my return, it was happy hour. They offered me a snack and beverage while I was waiting for the airport shuttle. It was so considerate of them. I highly recommend this hotel if you have to stay in Cincinnati. Not only is it close to a large shopping mall, various clinics and the Jewish Hospital, but the staff are amazing. They went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable and I will never forget my experience.
I like the fact that the Hotel is close to the Mall and that the cleanliness of the lobby and rooms were great. I was very satisfied and will stay at this hotel again. Thank you for great service will stay again.
We stayed here after spending the evening at the Horseshoe Casino which is about 15 minutes away. The hotel was very clean and the rooms were spacious. The bathrooms are on the small side, but the spaciousness of the rest of the room makes up for it. We would definitely stay here again.
I had an excellent experience at this hotel. It was clean, and the staff was pleasant and helpful. I had no problems at all with check in or check out, or any other problems for that matter. I would absolutely recommend this hotel chain to everyone.
On the whole we were pleased with this hotel. It was in a great location, the employees were really nice and helpful, and they had an extensive breakfast buffet. The things to be aware of are that the beds are extremely soft and squishy - if you like firm, you won't be comfortable - and the room lighting is rather dim. That may not be a problem when it's sunny, but it rained the whole time we were there so the room always felt gloomy. Also we reserved a queen room but the bed in our room was a full. When we complained they upgraded us to a king (initially with a surcharge which was later removed), but I still don't understand how anyone could have called that a queen bed.
I was in Cincinnati to attend the Steelers/Bengals Wildcard Game. The front desk agents were great!!! They upgraded my room from a queen to a king and immediately informed me when I arrived. The room was roomy and clean. I would definitely stay again.
this was a nice hotel and very clean . front desk employees and area was nice and clean . breakfast was wonderful . my kids and husband also liked this hotel and the location was very great due to the close restaurants that we was able to choose from
This family-owned hotel is run like a well-oiled machine. The amenities are perfect and kept up to date constantly. Breakfast is awesome with a fresh on the bar every day. Rooms are spacious and clean. Staff is overly helpful and seeks to please. If you are staying in Cincinnati this is my favorite choice.
Very Nice and clean Hotel..Beds were VERY comfy and the staff was Very friendly and professional. The room had a frig. and microwave along with a small sink and counter which helped us out since my Buddy had Surgery at the Laser Spine Institute.
Pleasantly surprised with this hotel. Loved the room layout including a sofa, work desk and kitchenette. The breakfast options were great including a fresh omelette bar. Easy access to I-71 and the Kenwood town Center. Great value for the price.
I was able to book a room around christmas for a reasonable price. The front desk was able to also give me a good rate and early check in. The beds were super comfortable, the front desk and maid service were kind and efficient. The breakfast bar was good enough, though I wasn't able to check out any other amenities. I think the flexibility of the front desk, along with the great location and lovely accommodations were exceptional. The best mall in the city if right across the street, within easy walking distance. Lots of good restaurants and highway nearby too.
The management of this hotel would rather argue with you then provide the service expected and promised. If you are considering staying here due to the location, there is a Hampton inn and suites being built just off the highway exit that looks like it is almost complete, we will be staying there on our next visit in June.
We had two rooms for one night en route to our Christmas gathering. LOVED the hotel. Convenient location right off the interstate. Cozy but spacious rooms. Super clean. Well stocked. Comfy beds. Breakfast isn't fancy but just right. Omlettes were SO good. I will definitely stay again!
The Best Western Plus Hannaford exceeded my expectations. My husband and I asked for the AAA rate for a King bed. Not only did we receive a King bed, but the room was a suite with a full size refrigerator, stove, sink and separate sitting area with a couch. The furniture seemed fairly new. The room was immaculate! I wanted to stay more than one night. The bed and pillows slept great. My next visit in Cincinnati will most definitely include stay at this hotel. The quality and value of the hotel exceeded our expectations.
The prices are fair for this comfortable and clean hotel. The staff was friendly and very customer service oriented. We stayed in the king suite. The room was spacious with a full kitchen and nice bedroom. They offer free wifi and they have an outdoor pool. The bedding was comfy and the hotel is located near a very nice mall. There are many eating options in the area also. They offer a free breakfast, it is a standard hotel free breakfast, nothing too impressive.
This is a great location. Very close to restaurants, shopping, events, and convenience stores. We had the King Suite which was essentially a small apartment with full refrigerator, stove top and basic kitchen tools. A very clean and inviting place. Friendly, Helpful Staff. Decent Breakfast. Happy Hour is an unexpected nice perk. The lobby was beautifully decorated for the holidays. An excellent value. You will not be disappointed.
stayed here before, we had a small suite which suited us well, will stay again sometime in the future. our purpose of staying was shopping at the Kenwood Mall & Jungle Jim's and eating out. it was just a little get away.
A great value, clean rooms, breakfast and happy hour. Lots of parking and across from major shopping center and near an Outback Steakhouse. The staff is knowledgeable and very professional. We have stayed with them over a 10 year period. Consistent quality. What more could you want when traveling.
While visiting Cincinnati to attend a couple of weddings, my wife and I spent 2 nights at this hotel. Finding it for the first time was a bit tricky -- it seems tucked away on a back road in a quiet neighborhood of apartments or condos -- yet it's not that far from the freeway. It's also near a huge shopping and office complex, and access to that area will become easier once a new entrance to it is opened across the road from the hotel. (Hopefully that will not detract from the hotel's atmosphere of quiet seclusion.) Just wish it were a bit closer to Eden Park, which has some of the attractions we most wanted to visit (Art Museum, Conservatory). Our room was clean, pleasantly decorated, and had one of the best layouts we've seen -- almost like an apartment, with a well-stocked kitchen near the entrance, an adjacent area like a parlor, and the bed and bath area around a corner. The complimentary breakfast included all sorts of tasty items, ranging from fresh fruit to pastries to DIY waffles. The amazing surprise was an onsite cook who produced delicious made-to-order omelets! We'll certainly put this hotel near the top of our list of places to stay the next time we're in Cincinnati.
Wonderful. clean room. Helpful, polite staff. Easy to get to and get to other places from. Terrific breakfast!! Fresh made omelets!! Really a lovely place to stay. I would come back to this hotel every time.
The hotel accommodations are outstanding! The beds were absolutely perfect and the rooms are extremely nice. The hotel staff totally goes out of their way to make the patrons happy and satisfied. The breakfast is the best I've ever had considering it is not a full blown restaurant. I would recommend this hotel to anyone for any kind of visit. One of the staff members, Wanda, went out of her way to be a joy to everyone. Great employee and person!!!!
Quality, service, cleanliness and price were very good. Omelet Bar was another great amenity. Easy access and close to many restaurants and stores. These suite had large fridge, stove, microwave and kitchen utensils. Wifi was easy to access and relatively fast.
Easy to find, great location. Check in was very easy, the fitness room was nice, could use a fan. Breakfast items were good. The bathroom in our room could've been cleaned better. All of the soaps were not replenished & found someones dental floss left on the counter.
We booked a one night stay so we could be close to the Kenwood mall for Christmas shopping. The staff upon arrival were nothing but sweet! We got an upgraded room as well since there wasn't a high volume staying this particular night. The king suite with kitchen and living room was SO nice and clean with new flat screen TVs and comfortable linens. We will stay here again on our next shopping trip!
Booked through Expedia and we ended up on the first floor, right next to the front desk. Surprisingly there wasn't much noise from the desk or the parking lot. Nice bed, spacious rooms and clean. With breakfast included, we couldn't beat the price.
I needed a place to stay for business near a factory and there are not many hotels in this area of Cincinnati. Several rooms (if not all?) with unique layouts with a full kitchen in one room and the bed/bath in another. If I needed a place to stay for a while I would certainly come back for that. There is a large indoor shopping mall just a couple blocks away so this will bring my wife and I back sometime for a shopping over-nighter. Nice breakfast with fresh made omelets by a staff member. I was surprised at the price for these benefits.
Came here for a business stay and did not expected to be this great. Checking in was smooth and I did not expreince any problems. After walking to the room, I was surprised how big the King Suit was. The beds were confortable and the TV in the living room was convinient. The breakfast was good and the staff was helpful and friendly. The location was main reason of this stay, but I guess it not only reason now. Would recommend to others.
The day we arrived at this hotel, the water main was shut off for several hours. This was immediately followed by a fire alarm. Our conference room for the evening was never stocked with the agreed upon drinks, cups, etc. The following day our room was never serviced though we were out for most of the day. In general, the hotel was clean and the staff was friendly, but the staff appeared to have no idea what to do with any problem besides offer an apology (ie. offer a discount, provide additional services, contact a manager, etc.).
Large room. Clean.Thin walls. Loud guests late night/early morning. Nice desk staff. Bed was uncomfortable. Breakfast was basic with the option of an omelet prepared by staff. Close to upscale mall/shopping and restaurants. Not far from highway. The hotel was somewhat hard to find initially because it sits back off of the street (behind the shopping area and street construction) and the sign is also away from the street. I passed it the first time and my passenger had to point it out.
I once raved about this hotel on TripAdvisor. It was definitely our favorite place to stay when visiting our son in Cincinnati. This time was not up to expectations. We asked for our usual King Suite. Room smelled of cigarette smoke, especially in the bathroom. Gross. Walls in bathroom were badly spackled over and painted over in a color that didn't even match. Exterior of hotel has major sewer or culvert work that terribly blocks up the entrance and looks very uninviting. Breakfast used to be outstanding and well worth the stay. Now, although it was plentiful, the omelettes, made fro scratch taste watered down as does the coffee. Trash receptacles broken. Room overcrowded.
The Best Western Hannaford Inn is an intimate hotel convenient to I-71 in Kenwood, only 12 miles from Downtown Cincinnati. It offers the basics done well. The rooms are very clean and updated. The staff is friendly and breakfast has good variety. I would recommend to those who prefer value for the dollar more than fancy amenities.
My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 3 days. The pro's of this place is that it is located close to just about everything. Google map gave us certain distances and times, but every where we went, seemed shorter than what we googled online. We went to Jungle Jim's, Hyde Park, Finley Market (which is very close to the Horse Shoe Casino), Smale River Front, Spring Grove Cemetery, etc. It is also right smack across the street from the Kenwood Mall, which is one of the better malls I have been to. If you visit Smale, definitely take the walk across the bridge to Newport. It seems like a long walk, but looks can be deceiving. It wasn't that long. Customer service of the front desk staff : Ehhhh... when we checked in, the guy there was very helpful and even went up to our room to make sure it was cleaned properly. He checked drawers, etc. After him, the rest was not very customer service friendly. They barely said, "Hi" or acknowledged us and there is no way of missing them since, they are located right immediately when you walk in the door. Cleanliness : The carpet was stained and the room and decor was out-dated, however, it wasn't what I would call "dirty." It was clean, but since it was old, it just didn't have that crisp nice look, but was far from dirty. Bedding : OH MY GOD, MY BACK!!! The mattress is extremely old. It sunk in the middle. Honestly, it felt like just springs and they put a topping on it versus an actual mattress. No matter how many blankets and whatever thin topping you put on it, you know and feel just how old the mattress is. There is no getting a comfortable night's rest. If they do any upgrades to the hotel, the beds should be first. I am not exaggerating. The bed is extremely old and uncomfortable and it sags in the middle. So if you want to get some rest, this is not the place. Especially for the cost. Breakfast : Good. One of the better breakfasts that I have seen. The omelet was good and it didn't take very long to make. The lady making it was VERY friendly and helpful and she even brought the omelet to an older gentleman so he didn't have to get up. The other folks there during breakfast was not very customer service. They just went about their way doing whatever they needed to do with minimal smile or whatever. Overall, the hotel was OK. It was older, but clean and it is centrally located where we liked. Will we stay here again? Unfortunately, no. Due to how uncomfortable the bedding is. Yes.. it was really that uncomfortable.
Great location, close to mall. The room was great, front desk was very professional, hotel was clean and the complimentary breakfast was nice. I will return for sure! We did not experience any noise, the only thing we didn't like were the overstuffed & hard pillows on the bed....I'm sure a few people out there love hard pillows though!
Stayed here for 3 nights while visiting with family in Cincinnati. Hotel staff friendly and helpful, the room (double queen) was clean and spacious. Small fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and variety of kitchen items are useful. Sofabed option nice if needed. Daily breakfast is great value, with cooked to order omelets, waffles, fruit, toast, bagels, pastries, cereal and good coffee. Hotel was very busy on Friday and Saturday, but quieter Sunday and Monday. Located right off 71, easy to get to downtown Cincinnati attractions and universities, as well as proximity to Kenwood shopping mall and restaurants. Definitely will stay again!
I have stayed at this hotel several times when in Cincinnati for business. Location is very good. There are many nice restaurants and shopping near by. The hotel was clean and the staff very friendly. Breakfast is good. Would definitely stay there again.
I must start by saying that I do not typically stay in Best Western properties. Perhaps I've grown a bit snobby after a couple of years of intense work travel. However, after my usual nationally-branded hotels were not available in this market, I came to Trip Advisor to find another option. The great ratings of this hotel convinced me to change it up. This property is off of Highway 71, southeast of Cincinnati. It is close to many great stores and restaurants. The suites are incredibly spacious! It would be great for couples, families, or business travelers on a long stay. The décor is cozy. But, what really stands out to a regular business traveler like me is the fabulous staff. I've interacted with two front desk staffers who were both very sharp, genuinely kind, and helpful. This hotel is a great value for the rates that they charge.
We stayed here while visiting our daughter in Madeira this past week. Big spacious room. Great location. Great rate! This is where we will stay from now on when we visit in Kenwood area! They also have very good breakfast in morning
I was surprisingly pleased with the appearance of this hotel. Checking in and out was an easy process and when I entered my room I was very happy with it's appearance; the furniture was modern and the bathroom seemed to have been recently renovated. Included in the room was a love seat, and a kitchenette (including dishes, cutlery, microwave and refrigerator).
This is one of the best Best Western I've stayed at. Best Breakfast you'll find at a hotel. Beds were to die for. The hotel was very clean, the excellent staff. I will definitely be back to this hotel, when I see another Bengals game.
although the décor is dark and somewhat dated, the hotel is clean, the staff is courteous, pleasant and helpful. The king suites and king exec suites are both comfortable. The TV in the sitting area of the king suite is much better positioned to be enjoyed than the one in the king exec. The b'fast is really good--an omelet bar for freshly made eggs, really good breads and bakery items. No fresh oatmeal but packets available. Pillows not the greatest--foam so not always comfy.
Very welcoming and helpful staff upon arrival. Room was spacious, clean and quiet. Housekeeping very friendly. Breakfast was delicious and had enough options to satisfy everyone in our family and the women working the breakfast station were cheerful and appeared to take great pride in their area. When we discovered that the hairdryer was missing from our room, the front desk and housekeeping worked together to have one to us in under 5 minutes. Incredible customer service. We will definitely book future stays at this hotel.
Didn't have enough time to enjoy all of the amenities. Spacious room, with fridge, microwave, all the dishes, glasses and silverware that you would need. We were able to visit with friends with the separate bedroom and sitting area. Would definitely go back again. I would not even bother looking to see if there is anything better. You would not be able to top it for the comfort and value.
My boyfriend went to stay at Best Western to celebrate our anniversary! It was GREAT! When we arrived they told us that our suite was upgraded to King (which was awesome) free of charge... We loved the continental breakfast. The hotel is was really clean and the employees were really warm, and inviting. Loved it!
The property is very clean, and they serve a great breakfast with made to order omelets! Wow! All the staff are over the top! helpful, friendly and courteous. This was my second stay there and would stay there again!
We totally passed the hotel. It was not marked very well. The parking lot has issues. There is only one way to enter and exit. They do not have a pull up to the door drive around thing. You have to park on the side so it doesn't leave all the room in the world when people are parking there as well. We pulled around back and I think cars were in spots that they should not have been in. We were blocked in at one point and had to back out and around the thing. Just seemed kind of fire-hazardy to me. At one point we wondered if were were evening going to get a parking spot. The pool was not even attached to the hotel. It was around back behind the parking lot. Very odd. The elevator was very slow and made sketchy noises. We chose not to eat breakfast there. Did not sleep the best. The pillow was way to fat to lay my head comfortably on. I had the room set below 70 but it still didn't seem that cool. The toilet paper was way behind the toilet which made it very akward. You could only pull with one hand which made it so you had to get alot of extra paper-and not purposefully.
