Apollo Bay Motel and Apartments, BW Signature Collection

Wonderful and very helpful welcoming and check in. We didn't have a booking ( we walked away from another motel due to bad experience on pre paid check in) we were greated we a great friend gentleman. He had fantastic knowledge of the local area and restaurants. Couldn't fault the Graze restaurant less than a block away. Laundry mat just across the road. Room clean, tidy with king size bed. Very close to everything Apollo Bay has to offer. Thank you we will return.

Great spot right in the town, walk to the beach, all restaurants, cafes and shops. Central to exploring The Great Ocean Road and The Otways. The staff are so friendly and helpful with an excellent housekeeping service. The apartments are spotlessly clean with beautiful newly renovated modern bathrooms. King size beds super comfy. Great kitchen with plenty of crockery, pots etc. All spotlessly clean. Microwave & fridge cleanest I've seen. One small downside the pub next door was noisy Saturday night very late with people leaving and some early morning deliveries of noisy bottles. Thank you Mark for accommodating our family so well, we enjoyed our stay in your lovely apartments.

The location is great and reception was very pleasant. But the motel is a very basic motel with very basic rooms (although it does have a large TV). The rooms were clean. The beds must have had some electric mattress pad which had large wires which made sleeping very uncomfortable. There must not be much competition in Apollo Bay as we paid almost twice what we paid for a larger, nicer, newer hotel in Melbourne CBD. Of course I knew most of this when I booked, it appeared to be the best option in town, I had hoped for some redeeming charm, but none.

Great wheelchair/ disability access apartment, proper disabled access bathroom with plenty of turning space, space for hoist if you need to use one, fold down shower seat and accessible sink. Comfy king size bed and also a single in a seperate room that could be used for a carer or would also suitable access for a child or adult with disability. Everything in kitchen at bench height and they have made sure to put a sign up for reserve the park out front of room for disability access. Both rooms have flat access to disabled access bathroom. Flat entry and throughout rooms, tile in main kitchen/ bedroom, carpet in single bedroom. Full fridge, microwave and stove top with low cupboards. Considering it's an older style hotel they have done a great job, disability access wise and so helpful to have access to a kitchen when away from home. Can access photos on their website of disability access room. Only thing not accessible is a small step at front reception but I sent my partner to check in anyway and they have been friendly and helpful during our stay, so I'm sure they would meet you at your vehicle if you don't have a carer with you. Close to town centre too, we'd come back again.

Nice motel in a convenient location close to local facilities. Our only complaint was that room service breakfast is advertised on their website and in the rooms but wasn't available when we visited.

Stayed at the BW Apollo bay for one night in early October. Nice hotel in a good quiet location with lots of parking. It is convenient for food and drink together with local shops. Easy check in and out. Room was clean and comfortable with everything we needed.

Loved staying at Best Western. So close to beach and other shops and all other places. Really enjoyed my stay and got really relaxing sleep over there. I enjoyed being in the room as it was so approachable.

We were spending just one night in Apollo Bay and I went on line to find something. I looked at the Air bnb sites but all we wanted was a bed for the night so I looked at Best Western and it looked like the rooms were newish and they had king size beds. Mind you, I would never usually stay in anything under 4 star, but we booked in and spoke to a very helpful young lady on their reception desk and we were happy with the room we had. Certainly clean, looked like it had been renovated recently so it was quite comfortable. Would recommend it for a basic motel type room.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at the Best Western in Apollo Bay. The staff were so very friendly and helpful and the 2 bedroom room suite was very spacious and had everything we needed, including a full size refrigerator. It was walking distance to the beach, the main street with all the cafes, restaurants and shopping. We would definitely stay again and recommend this as an A++++++

We were overall very pleased with our stay here. From when I rung with questions before booking online (& then booked over phone instead) to when we left, we were looked after well by Anna & another female receptionist (whose name I did not catch). Our room was very clean, in particular the bathroom, which was a priority for us. Basic modern room, which is all we needed. Location was fantastic. We would just all bring our own pillows should we stay again in the future to help improve our sleep quality, as although the beds were comfy none of us felt the pillows were.

A short stay weekend away with family from the UK to travel the Great Ocean Road. Staying in Apollo Bay was the perfect overnight destination and the Great Western was the ideal, central location. Quiet and clean.

Our room was excellent and very clean. The staff here were friendly and helped us plan our activities recommending some great walks and restaurants. The Redwood forest was just beautiful and walk to Hopetoun waterfall fantastic.

We had a fantastic time in Best Western Apollo Bay. Everything was clean, organised and kept to a great standard. We got some nice local tips from the hotel owners and everything was above what we expected. I've stayed a few places in Apollo bay and would definitely recommend this as our favourite.

We were greeted warmly by David at reception after a tiring day. Great hospitality and very helpful chap. The room given was nice and spacious. The hotel's location is very close to shops and eateries. You can walk across the park to the ocean which is a bonus.

Very impressed with the room - especially the large shower. A great location in the centre of town. Being able to walk out and across to the beach to watch the sunrise was something special. Highly recommended.

After a long day traveling off the spirit of tasmania, we wanted a nice bed and clean motel to lay our heads. We drove around and spotted the best western Apollo Bay and after a lovely Chay with the super friendly lady, she showed me a room and we booked great price, modern and clean and very covid clean. Then it was time for bed,OMG the super king size bed was like sleeping on a cloud ☁️.

A town with permanent water restrictions should not have a hotel with showers this good! The recently renovated bathroom is great, the shower even better. Warm friendly welcome from our host and a lovely walk to the foreshore just down the road. Lovely spot, would recommend for a family stay.

The location and value for money is excellent. Room was very clean, in great condition and the bathroom looked recently renovated. A 2min walk to the beach and less to the shops and restaurants. Apollo Bay is a beautiful town.

Can't speak highly enough of the excellent service provided by the manager who went out of her way to assist us when we had an emergency. My partner required immediate hospitalisation and then transportation to a district hospital. Knowing that I was pre-occupied on personal matters - the manager offered to find me accommodation at my next point of stay - for which I was most grateful. Would highly recommend this Motel for anyone staying at Apollo Bay.

We lived staying so close to the township and beach. Bathroom recently renovated and lovely shower head. Big enough space for our family for the weekend. Near to cafe and hotel which is good for food/drink but was a little noisy at night when putting kids to sleep (windows kept sound out pretty well once closed). Great hosts, even posted our book back to us when we left it there. Thanks for the stay we will be back

First time staying on motels after caravanning. Best Western was the best we stayed in. Great price beautiful room comfortable bed. Excellent accommodation. Front staff very friendly and helpful. Will use Best Western again.

Clean, comfortable, very friendly staff. We had a ground floor room and were happy with the room for the price we paid. TVs have Netflix and the other apps as well as chrome cast so you have everything to choose from. Very short walk to the beach and main street. We didn't need to use the car, it was great. Will definitely be back.

Beds were a dream to sleep in. Breakfasts were hot and nicely cooked. My sister and I were more then happy staying here. It was a short walk everywhere very central and close to the beach. Great Italian restaurant across the road.

Okay- the room may be small but it was comfortable! The bed - this was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept on! The bathroom small but lovely! Bedside lamps - will be getting some of them myself! Our room was extremely quiet and away from the road! Nice central location just a short walk to the beach!

Walking distance to shop, good price. Room is clean, look new. Everything are paper bagged & sealed because of covid. Daily service. There is pool for kids. A friendly manager/owner brought some pool towels to the pool when he saw kids swimming. We enjoy our stay & would stay here again if we back to town again.

We stayed 2 nights in a one bedroom apartment which was fantastic. The rooms have been recently renovated and king size bed is one of the most comfortable we have had in a motel. The bathroom is large with a wonderful walk in shower. Perfect location - close to beach, shops and restaurants. Access to Netflix using our account was a bonus. Will definitely stay again on our next visit to Apollo Bay.

Decided to travel and base our trip from here for the week. The team here are amazing and we love the way they make you feel so welcomed. Even when we had a blackout for the whole area they made sure everyone was ok. We have enjoyed our time so much we are returning for Easter

The motel's located just off the main street, tucked away from the noise but only a few mins away from the beach and all amenities. Great rooms, modern and comfortable - especially the modern bathroom and very comfy bed and TV that connected to my Netflix account. Service was friendly and efficient and this place takes COVID-safety and cleanliness very seriously. Only down side for me was as I was staying in between Christmas and new year with everything booked out, the price of my room was that of a 5 star hotel so not worth this high price, nonetheless, a good option in Apollo Bay.

The motor in Apollo bay great location near the beach cross the road next to pub so you can go get dinner ect the service is great I stay in a apartment it's very big the shower is great but you have to wait till the hot water cones though but the motel is great to stay when you don't have a car everything is close walking distance

Very clean motel room with a very modern bathroom the shower was noteworthy hot and fast had a very very comfortable king size bed location was right in the middle of town would definitely recommend this motel.

The hotel was amazing. Very clean, staff very friendly and helpful upon arrival. A personal touch for our sons room, the cleaner sat their teddies up reading their books, they loved this! All amenities were great.

The location was very handy with an easy walk to the main strip and the beach. The room was clean with clean linen and towels and had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable and the heating quickly warmed up the room.

10 off us rode into Apollo Bay at the end of a days' touring and checked into our pre-arranged motel. Our room was a bit small but overall very comfortable. We had a good nights sleep and went to the breakfast room for our included breakfast. Apparently the motel was just coming out of COVID lock down restrictions and we think we were the first to enjoy breakfast there in some time. The owners were a bit rusty but delighted to assist us in any way they could. Food choices were excellent, a great selection of hot and cold choices. To top it off, we were all thoroughly impressed with the huge chandelier hanging from the very high ceiling the breakfast room - apparently purchased at a charity auction and installed during the lockdown. We really enjoyed our short stay.

We stayed in the best western for a night while cycling the great ocean road. The receptionist went out of her way to accomodate our booking- we arrived early and it was raining so she let us into our room early. The room itself was lovely and clean, and surprisingly modern in its interior. My partner quickly found the electric blanket, which he enjoyed! Everything was very clean, and all cups, toiletries and cutlery are stored in bags so that you know they have been washed before use. Special shout out for the half litre of lovely local milk which the hotel supplies when you stay there- it is grown at a farm which is located at the 12 apostles! It was the creamiest, most delicious milk that I have tried, and I am so happy to see they are supporting local. Thank you for a great night!

Stayed for two nights with family in a massive apartment with plenty of room to relax and great kitchen facilities The bathroom looked newly renovated and the TV was simply huge. We were really impressed with how seriously the owners were taking COVID-safe procedures. From the welcome pack with shampoos etc to the iron in the room kept in a bag, spare pillows etc The pool and outdoor furniture area looked really inviting. We will definitely be back when the weather is warmer to enjoy the pool and beach, which is just a 90sec walk from the hotel. All the staff and owners were incredibly helpful and friendly. Thanks to Robyn, Lyn and David. We will be back!

Fantastic Motel, close to main street. Clean, staff are all very friendly and helpful, nothing is to much trouble for the staff. Very clean rooms and amenities. The location is fantastic it is one street away from the main road. You can't hear any traffic which is great. The pool area looked fantastic but we didn't use it.

Stayed here with my son. Room was immaculate with every amenity I could think of. Streaming services, comfortably beds, complimentary tea and coffee etc. Bathrooms newly renovated. Good size shower and vanity etc. very comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Walking distance to everything in Apollo Bay town. Highly recommended.

I loved our stay in Apollo bay, and felt we made a particularly great choice staying at the best western! What a stylish and fresh motel! The rooms were super clean and extremely covid safe. The rooms my colleagues and i stayed in felt freshly renovated. With really comfortable beds, great bedding. The rooms we stayed in Had great kitchenettes and bathrooms and were extremely spacious. (I was in rm 18) a very modern stylish motel! With friendly staff and super super clean! highly reccomend!

We had a great stay at the Best Western in Apollo Bay as it was in such a central location that we were able to walk to the beach for a swim as well as cafes for food. The room was clean and had everything we needed for our stay.

My family of 4 stayed in a family room / apartment. It could not have been better - quality bedding and linen, black out and modern curtains, large screen TV, spacious modern bathroom, COVID planning obvious, off the main road so very quiet yet right in the heart of town to walk to cafes including two organic / raw food cafes. Staff friendly and helpful.

I booked on 10th Jan for what i thought was that same night, as i was already in Apollo Bay and wanted to stay the night. It turned out that i booked for the complete wrong month so i drove my 4hr trip home and cancelled the booking the next morning. be same dates for the wrong month. Go on any website and it states that it is free cancellation. They refused to refund my $269, even after i explained my mistake

The accommodation was very clean. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Very close to the Main Street and easy to access dining, cafes, shopping, beach. Perfect location for couples or families. Just beautiful

Beautiful update with the new decor! Always such friendly, welcoming, helpful hosts. The in room amenities were great. Room was absolutely spotless. Loves the pool area, such a tranquil little oasis. Fantastic location, so convenient for cafes, shops and beach.

Good location but DO NOT BOOK, unless you're fine with paying a lot of money and receiving aggressive, rude and unprofessional customer service. We booked here because it offers late check-in (from 2pm to 10pm) and we knew we were going to check-in late past 9pm due to our holiday plans. Receptionist (Robyn) calls us at 9pm whilst having dinner (first contact from the motel ever) passive-aggressively and rudely telling us that she is unable to leave work early because we have yet to check in (keeping in mind that reception closes at 10pm). I politely informed her that we are eating dinner down the street and will be over to check in within the next 15-20mins (well before reception closes at 10pm). She said "you should have checked in first before having dinner", amongst other unprofessional and passive aggressive remarks made over the phone. I left mid dinner to check-in as she was so insistent in guilt-tripping us by reminding us over the phone that 'we're the last ones and we're holding them up'. Whilst collecting keys, she then rudely said to my face, "Now, can you tell me why you decide to have dinner before checking in". Keeping in mind that this was at 9.15pm (45minutes prior to reception closing). My wife went to provide constructive feedback the next morning. Unfortunately on this occasion, Robyn still felt like we were the ones in the wrong, and said "next time you should check in prior to having dinner", did not apologize until my wife reminded her repeatedly that we are not obliged to change our holiday plans because she wanted to leave work early. We picked this accommodation because it offered late check in. I did not feel like it was our obligation to change our holiday plans just because Robyn wanted to leave work early. We certainly did not appreciate the passive-aggressive, unprofessional and rude remarks on multiple instances when we spoke with her. We paid close to 400 dollars for this treatment, when we could have paid one quarter and received professional attitude elsewhere.

The room was newly renovated. Kitchen and bathroom looking great. Don't think I've ever experienced such wonderful water pressure before. The 1 King Bed + 2 Twin Bed room was more than adequate for 3 adults. The location is excellent and it is a very quick walk to all the shops, restaurants and cafes Apollo Bay have to offer. David and Robyn were very helpful in giving us information about local attractions and road quality

I checked in seamlessly and with the help of the receptionist, I realised I needed more time here so the receptionist arranged for my 1 night stay to change to 2 nights. She anticipated my need for a pool towel (it was a hot day) and after cooling down, took the time to deliver more tourist information to my room to make my stay more enjoyable.

Last minute the wife and I wanted a getaway and we chose to stay in Apollo Bay. The best accommodation i could get on the internet was a split room. A different room a night! Until "Robyn called from Management" we were upgraded to the apartment for both nights at no extra charge. On arrival we were welcomed with opened arms and the biggest smile you would ever see! Rooms spotless Management "Robyn" super friendly and accomadating. Thankyou again for an amazing stay

Our room waa renevated so once you walk in it looked modern and clean. King size bed was very comfortable, location is awsome you can walk to shops, restaurant and beach. Staff were friendly and helpfull .

We stayed on the Friday night of Queens Birthday weekend. The hosts were fantastic right from the time of booking through to information given on departure. We slept like babies in the super comfy beds.

We were passing through and dropped into the Best Western Motel. WE were lucky as we scored an apartment at aroom rate. Everlthing was supplied and even though we went to a restaurant for our dinner we could ahve cooked whatever we liked with the equipment availoable. Room was clean, bathroom big enough and the bed very comfortable. Will stay there again

Excellently presented motel complex with good parking facilities and swimming pool. The room was well appointed with lovely decor and with all facilities including a well stocked and well priced mini bar. Fantastic location only a few minutes walk to the main, beach shopping and cafe/restaurants

I did my last minute booking on Agoda website and the preset month was "February" due to my earlier search on another trip. I did not realise that I was not booking for my trip that was happening end of January until I read the email confirmation. Upon realising my mistake within the 24hours window, I went ahead to email the motel to cancel my stay which is only happening more than one month away from now - that definitely give them ample time to find someone to replace me. They could have just offered a full refund given my circumstance since it was a genuine overlooked but all they kept harping over the email was "We note that the booking with Agoda is non-refundable" and "Unfortunately due to the booking being made through Agoda we are unable to provide a refund." It is as though Agoda was the reason they can't refund me my money so I called up Agoda and the agent was pleasant - she told me that the cancellation policies are all determined by the hotel but she will first negotiate a refund on my behalf. After putting me on hold for awhile, she apologised that she can't help me out as the motel is very strict towards their cancellation policy. She even asked to speak to their manager, Robin but they can't change their policy. This is by far the most absurd case I have ever heard - bloodsuckers trying to leech on customers' money by putting those sites' reputation at stake. Best Western group will never get my business ever again!

Excellent location in the centre of town. Owners very friendly and helpful. Our room was well equipped, modern feel and well equipped. We had an early morning start so continental breakfast brought to our room the previous evening which was generous and delicious. Would thoroughly recommend.

Older style Hotel in need of an update. Was noisy with beachside carnival and nearby Hotel patrons making their way home in the early hours of the morning. Location within easy walk of beach, restaurants & shops. Room was large and linen clean but $280 per night for a Hotel which had its heyday 40 years ago was a bit steep.

Very spacious and clean rooms. Amazing and friendly staff and fantastic cleaners. The location is perfect, a short walk to the beach, shops, park and restaurant. I would definitely recommend this motel for anyone seeking a trip!

At short notice flew to Victoria to travel the Great ocean road and stay at some of the great places along the road. Being a last minute thing I had not booked ahead instead see what town I arrived at and then look for a local Motel. Arriving into Apollo Bay I checked websites and seeing the Best Western Apollo Bay Motel showing a room at $162 dollars I booked it. Two minutes later received a confirmation at $309 dollars. I instantly cancelled and being only two minutes from Motel I stopped in to apologise to manager and to let them know what had happened and request a refund. Sorry was the answer cancelling within 24 hours means you forfeit all monies even though the cancellation was within 5 mins of booking and I drove to Motel to notify them. Initially she laid the blame at the third party booking site who she informed me do the billing and I would have to contact them for any refund. The next day I contacted the booking site who informed me they do not do the billing it was the Motel only they could do a refund. Congrats Manager you just got me out of there by putting the onus on someone else and told me I should not have used them in the first place if I came direct I would have received a better price. Where would all these Motels be if it was not for the convenience of these sites. Yes I made the mistake by cancelling and so I am out of pocket and they just made $309 in five minutes, not bad for doing nothing but Best Western group will never get my business again.

This Best Western has super friendly staff. Ground level units for easy access. Car can be parked outside ground level units. 1 bedroom units are very spacious. Beds clean and comfortable. It is a flat short walk into the CBD of the township. Straight across the road is the renowned Italian restaurant Casalingo, next door to that is a fantastic little cafe that serves breakfast and very nice coffee. We have stayed here before and certainly would again.

We booked a two bedroom apartment, it was very comfortable and nicely renovated. The price was quite high but during Christmas this seems to be normal at the Great Ocean Road. Would stay there againg.

Overall it was a good stay. The staff are friendly and the place is comfortable to stay. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment after xmass, so the price was quite high. The location of the place is very good, you can quickly get to the beach and all the nice shops including IGA. Bring your Tesla as well as this had two Tesla charging stations. Good: Good sized bedrooms, comfortable beds, good kitchen, Great location (few mins walk to beach and shops), Guest laundry Not so good: Small TV, uncomfortable lounge sofas, slow / dropping Wifi, Old curtains, Overpriced

Given the environnment of this place, this is a very convenient place to stay. No charm, no warm. The lady in charge of the welcome is very nice, efficient and helpful. The price was high due to the high season tariff policy.

This is a pretty standard motel right out of the 1950s. We were in a ground-floor room, and pulled our car right up to the door. The rooms face an inner courtyard (where the parking is), but also have sliders and windows facing the outside, allowing for cross-ventilation. But because they are ground floor, people can see in, both from the street outside and the courtyard in the center - so one must pull the shades for privacy. The king-sized be was comfortable with reasonable quality sheets, though cheap-motel quality covers (not really blankets). The kitchen was well equipped, and the living area had space to sit. The bathroom was functional if not fancy. Oddly, the management didn't put out soap or shampoo, though apparently it was there in the cabinets (available if you knew where to find it). The motel was clean, but showing its age. It wasn't very appealing, but there was nothing wrong with it. It was at the lower end of the quality spectrum compared to Best Western properties in the USA -- on the other hand, it had a great location a block from the beach and less than a block from restaurants and the grocery store.

Stayed in a 1BR apartment for 5 nights prior to Christmas. Apartment was spacious and had good kitchen facilities. Very handy position can leave car and walk to pier, beach and shopping strip. Staff were all friendly even though it was a busy time of year and they were fully booked most nights.

The room given is very clean with all the amenities given and in working order. The kettle is also very clean which is not the case for most motel. The check-in staff is also very friendly. Overall is a good experience staying in Apollo Bay Best Western.

A basic motel off the main highway. Friendly reception staff with quick check-in. We had a ground floor room which was cramped with an even smaller bathroom. We had booked a double bed. However the presence of an unwanted single bed really restricted our movements. The only positive side was the ability to park right in front of the room. We stayed here for a night and would not recommend it as we felt it was over-priced for the quality of room and the fact that breakfast was not included.

We have used this Motel for our Great Ocean Road trip. The room was very clean and tidy and many amenities were available. WiFi is available however connectivity wasn't that great (slow and disconnect) perhaps due to many users. Other than that we are pretty much happy. Definitely you will enjoy this beautiful landscape of Apollo Bay!! Very close to the beach as well. Reasonable price, well recommended. Queen Bedroom

Wasn't too sure what to expect when we pulled in but the room was very nicely updated. Beds were very comfortable and bedding and pillows were nice quality. Unfortunately the pipes banged every hour all night and when we woke up the morning we couldn't get the water to heat up in order to take a shower. Eventually heated up but by then it was too late and we had to hit the road. Management was quick to respond to got water concerns. Good location to restaurants.

Reception staff member Jo was very informative on the areas local attractions and very friendly and gave us ideas on where to eat. Room and motel was very clean and moden. Perfect location to all eateries

Our family of five stayed here for one night on our tour of the Great Ocean Road. Our two bedroom apartment had a queen bed in one room and three singles in the second room, there was plenty of space and the beds were super comfortable. Everything was clean and well maintained, with all the amenities we needed for our stay. Just off the Main Street and easy walking to restaurants, shops and beach.

Convient location and friendly staff. Price isnt expensive and you have all that you need. Room is clean and huge. If staying on ground level, parking lot is just right outside your door step if you have an empty lot. Walking distant to look for food option.

We stayed here one night with a family of four in a two bedroom apartment. Lyn in the office was very lovely and helpful. Our apartment was clean and had facilities so we could cook meals. The beds were comfortable and the electric blankets were very cosy considering the weather outside.

If you're looking for somewhere central to stay this is the place to stay. Park right outside your room and walk around town or to the beach. Room was spacious and the bathroom renovated. Lady at check in was friendly and recommended a couple of places to eat. Highly recommend staying here and we will be back.

Pleasantly surprised. The staff were friendly and know the local area well. The rooms have recently been updated and were very comfortable. King sized bed and a rain bird style shower. Centrally located in the heart of Apollo Bay but very quiet.

Nice little motel room, comfortable bed with nice linen. Iron & ironing board, plenty of tea, coffee etc and fresh milk !!!! Very helpful staff member who was forthcoming with information about what to do and where to eat etc. Thoroughly recommend.

Great place to stay for a night. Spacious room and it was close to the park, cafe and restaurants ! Free parking just outside your unit and it has got a swimming pool as well. Thanks for a great night !

The service received at check in and check our was fantastic. Recommendations for dinner and breakfast were spot on. Rooms were clean and the bathroom modern. Lovely spot only a min walk to the beach.

To start of the young girl who was on the desk when i checked in was lovely and extremely helpful i got upgraded to a 1 bedroom apartment and was very impressed with the size of the rooms and the massive tv in the lounge area. It was very quiet at night and my only complaint would be that the shower is a bit small for a 6'2 male but none the less I would return in a heartbeat. close walking proximity to everything you need as well.

We stayed 4 persons in an apartment. Location is great, close to the beach, supermarket, restaurans and shops. Living room is dated, shower is looking very good, large and well equipped.Friendly and helpful stuff.

This motel is sparkling clean. Simply the best shower ever in recenty renovated room. Very hospitable hosts. Very close and central to all amenities. High speed internet. Parking aplenty. Quality supplies with nothing left required.

Very happy with the quality of the acommidation. The staff were very friendly and nothing was a bother,they were also helpful with directing us to places for meals and also local sights.The bathe room had been renovated and was really lovely.The pool looked inviting but the weather, unfortunately was too cold and wet to take advantage of it.

We stopped overnight. Received a discount on Seniors Card presentation (Saw on website that this was available) motel is centre of town so parked the car and walked everywhere. A nice hotel around the corner. Very friendly staff there. Plenty of dinner options close by. Room has been updated. King size bed. Comfy with electric blankets. Rain shower in bathroom. Good heating. Would definitely stay here again as price was so much more reasonable than a lot of others I was looking at on line and it was very nice accommodation. No ocean views which is probably why other motels charge way more. But we always go for location that we can park at the door and walk everywhere. This met that requirement for sure. Swimming pool for those that are inclined as well.

A one night passing through stop. In my experience, Best Western can be of very varying quality, but this is a good one. It may be a motel, and is laid out exactly as you would expect in court yard style with you car outside your door, but it was fresh and clean in appearance. Helpful efficient service at reception got us into our room quickly, complete with a carton of fresh milk. The room was small, but as this was a one night stop it was perfectly adequate. All normal facilities were available. Bed was clean and very comfortable. A good nights sleep was had. Close to the hotel are plenty of options to eat and drink, with a VERY good Italian restaurant immediately opposite this motel. Well worth a visit. Although only a one nighter, I would have happily spent longer here. Recommended.

This is a perfectly acceptable basic hotel in the small but attractive sea side town of Apollo Bay. The receptionist was very pleasant. The room was adequately sized and had all the basics needed. Wifi was good. The bathroom was small, but again adequate and well equipped. One problem was the hot water. A lot of water had to be wasted waiting for it to reach the taps and this made the otherwise excellent shower a little difficult to properly adjust. Breakfast can be preordered for delivery to the room though we chose to go to one of the nice cafes on the sea front.

For a quick overnight stay it is ok but would not be my first or second choice if I were in Apollo Bay again. Room was fairly large but the shower door stuck, the towels were poor quality and the air conditioner did not work properly. Reception was not particularly welcoming, bordering on patronising.

We stayed at the motel over the weekend. The place is clean, warm and provides basic amenities. There's sufficient space for parking and a small swimming pool which wasn't used. We enjoyed the time we spent there

Suitable for overnight whilst travelling but nothing more and feel you could do better. Rooms average. Clean, typical motel decor and typical bathrooms. Not quiet. Bar area outside restaurant was promising but hard to get a seat as happy hour. Free breakfast appalling,no wonder it's free but would rather have paid and had better food. Staff did what they had to do.

We stayed in a King bed motel room. Although the room was compact, it was exceptionally clean and had everything we needed for an overnight stay. The shower had a large shower head and was very fast and hot. The extractor fan worked brilliantly and did not mist up the mirror. Would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is one street back from the main street so is a lovely short stroll to all the restaurants and shops and also to the beach. Bed was comfy, pillows were good. TV and DVD player were a bit old and should be updated to be able to play a USB hard drive.

Apollo bay is a little fairy tale town. Stayed with my wife last week , during our 12 Apostles trip from Melbourne. Been staying with B & W at various places for sometime. So one of first searches was this v fine property. Allow me to list few points which I consider important, 1. Location: Superb. V easy to locate from Great Ocean Drive. V v conveniently located , eateries , grocery, coin laundry etc in 2 to 4 min Walking distance. 2. Family friendly place with ample parking inside block. 3. We stayed in apartment upstairs, no noise quiet place. 4. All necessary cooking aid for 2-3 days stay in place, all gadgets in working condition. 5. Should have listed up, well appointed clean apartment. 6. Very courteous staff with good knowledge of surrounding areas. Thnx especially Ms Rebekah, ever smiling front desk help , she guided us perfect about Surrounding areas. All in all v impressed, will highly recommend for a tension free nice outing. No need to describe GOR or Otway forest drive and Apollo Bay town, I said it's a dream you wouldn't to get out of. A small suggestion. : Can see that this was a bought out property and making any changes in a room lay out will incur big cost. But some day future, may I suggest, a small change in lay out can make shower area bigger than today. It's rather small, more like what you find in Europe. Will be back again soon. Thnx

We stayed here last minute and the staff were so friendly and accommodating. Great local knowledge and insight into the best tourist spots along the great ocean road. The king bed was the most comfortable bed! Room was clean and comfortable.

Generally the room met our needs for an overnight stay. We bought a take away and there was enough equipment in the room for this. The room had a balcony with dining furniture but not the weather to use it. We didn't have the need to use the pool but it looked pretty nasty. The shower door had a lot of black mould around it but the water pressure in the shower was brilliant. We only needed to stay one night as we were travelling along the Ocean Road.

We travelled with friends from overseas to visit the 12 Apostles, which was simply breathtaking. We decided to stay in Apollo Bay for the night. Little did we know that being Chinese New Year that hotels would simply rip you off with their prices!!! We stayed at the Best Western and were charged $380.00 for the night, no breakfast included simply the room. We were give. $20 discount for joining their loyalty program. The receptionist was apologetic but couldn't offer us a further reduction. It was simply the worst over charging We have ever encountered. Shame on you Best Western!!!!

Poor Decor and run down feeling accomodation, pay a princely sum to feel like a pauper, pricepoint is completely explotative of its Great Ocean Road Location, noisy bar across the road with music until late. Avoid Avoid Avoid

The motel was for us an excellent choice. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and could even support us in planing a trip to the Redwood forest. We ordered breakfast for the next morning and got it at 7.30 in the morning directly on the room. Big and tasty! Parking area is big enough and the noise level from other locations around is absolutely ok. Beds are very comfortable

Check in was great with a very helpful staff member showing us places on the map to visit. Room was spacious and very clean. Position of hotel meant we could pop next door for dinner. Hotel was in a good location for this area

The room was quite modern and the shower large with the biggest shower head I have ever seen. The staff were friendly and helpful but you would expect that for the price which is probably what they can charge at this time of year as accomodation is in high demand.

Booked with Best Western Appollo Bay Motel thru Wotif. Search dates didnt transfer to booking and we got one night out of three requested (thought I had a bargain for three night). It was not until I looked at email received, realised error (honest mistake). Called to cancel (as three nights just too expensive), they would not consider any refund on cancellation (no flexibility). Really silly actually as the single night booked it is in the middle of a long weekend.

This was the only available lodging option left when we booked. It was fine, but the price we paid was much too expensive. Additionally, there was a large spider in the bathroom. Most hotels at this price point at lease provide some free water, but we had to pay $3 for a bottle of water, which didn't' taste right, so we threw it out after just a couple sips.

Although it was busy at checkin the staff took time to recommend restaurants (and advise were not to go, very important I think). Also advised there would be a market the next morning and suggested things to do.Bed was a bit soft for my liking but probably perfect for someone else, always hard to get those things perfect for everyone.All three of us (we use three different pillows at home) said how much we hated the pillows, way too high. My husband slept on his arm, no pillow, my mother-in-law said she slept with it tucked under her shoulders, and I slept on it vertically so it was half way down my back. It's been a long time since I've used such a bad pillow.The great staff found my mother-in-law's earring and called us. Yes called us! In all my years travelling this has never happened before. She was actually missing both so the staff member turned the room upside down looking for it but to no avail, probably in the sheets somewhere. (I know who leaves earrings under the turned back covers).The room was a good size with all that you expect in a motel.Everything looked clean and relatively modern, no weirdly patterned shinny bedspreads that seem to be standard in motels the world over.Twice the TV crackled, spat and dropped out, then for 10 seconds it would show snow then TV logo and it would be back.The internet was laughable, all three of us tried to logon at different times, all three of us got kicked off in about two minutes. I've lived and travelled abroad so if that's the service you are used to then you're in for a shock, Australians who have lived in rural areas will probably be more patient.It would be remiss not to talk about the cost of motel rooms in general. We paid $638, two rooms one night. We spoke to a gentleman on the boardwalk who was complaining as he had paid nearly $1000 for two nights. He noted you could go to Bali for that. I checked, we could have paid $230 for a Best Western in the heart of Melbourne. This is not really a comment about this hotel, I'm sure they are competitive in their market (one of the reasons we picked them), but rather hotels outside the metropolitan areas, why are they so expensive? For the same price we could have booked two suites at the Sebel in Melbourne.I certainly recommend the staff and location is great. Enjoy your stay.

Had a wonderful stay. The location is perfect near shopping centres and restaurants walk across the road to the most beautiful beaches. The check in was a breeze and the rooms clean. The parking provided on location made unpacking and packing easy. Thank you:)

Since we were driving from Melbourne to Adelaide this location provided a good break in the journey. It is a good location to walk around the area for restaurants, have excellent staff, laundry, and reasonable rates.

The room feels renovated especially the bathroom with a large shower head. Breakfast was delivered the night before and was simple. Great location nearby shops and restaurants. About a hour drive from the 12 apostles through the otway national park. We saw koalas multiple times. Also nearby is Koala kafe in Kennett River also a great spot to see koalas. Option for laundry on available. $2 for washing and $2 the dryer. Clothing didn't feel as clean as at home and some clothing had to be dried on the dry rack. But that is a normal part if travel I guess.

Met by a super friendly receptionist who could not be more helpful. We were upgraded to a very modern, comfortable room with great bathroom and kitchenette. Shame about noise from pub next door. Stay.

The motel is fairly well located near the village and good to walk around. The rooms are large and very well appointed. There is also a well provided kitchenette. Basket breakfast is provided and delivered to the room in the evening and fairly good menu.. There is no restaurant. Large TV screen with good furniture, dining etc. The place is very clean and comfortable. There is no restaurant but a lot of places to eat close by. One can also walk up to the seaside and walk on the pathway. Cars can be parked right in front of the rooms. The couple looking after the place are very friendly and always helpful They make the stay most homely.

A great experience at the Best Western. One of our best stop over nights we had while doing the Great Ocean Road. Friendly reception, updated rooms and the bed was so comfortable, great shower too. Nice and convenient to the hotel for a nice meal.

Overall experience was good but don't forget to wash your dishes otherwise they will straight away deduct $50 from your credit card without asking you. Its is somewhere stated in the "guests registration form, signed on arrival, and re-iterated in the guest compendium" which no one reads in reality.

Stayed here with my family during our drive along great ocean road. We were greeted by a friendly receptionist upon check-in to room 210. The room is really clean and spacious for the 3 of us. The toilet is huge and spotless. The motel is within walking distance to to main street. The area is quiet and not noisy as per what some other travellers claim. Overall i would recomend those who need a short stop over along the great ocean road to stay in this motel.

Excellent service with efficient, excellent and professional welcome. Although this Motel is not located in front of the sea (you need to walk only few minutes to reach the sea) , we found it quite excellent, very quite place with clean room and well equipped. Thanks to the team !

We stayed here for just the night on our drive through the great ocean road. The staff were friendly and polite and the room was comfortable although the bathroom seemed a little cramped. Everything is within walking distance so the location is good. They serve breakfast in your room at your desired time which is a bonus. The reason we were not happy was that we were informed by the staff that restaurants don't shut till very late and hence went out just before 9 to find that every place had stopped serving dinner. The mini bar was our saviour!

Stayed here for 2 nights during “winter season” with 2 teenagers. We were met by a lovely lady on check in, and offered us the best prices for a family room. The location is in the center of Apollo bay, close to everything. The rooms were clean and spacious with 2 separate bedrooms. There was a small kitchen that was great for making breakfast and supper. Good selection from the mini bar and could also offer room service for breakfast. Free WiFi was a plus for the teenagers. Had a pleasant stay, and would recommend this place to others.

We were in town for the great ocean road running festival - and the hotel is located right on the finish line which was perfect for us. It's also right next to the pub which could be too noisey for some - we had earplugs and slept great! Staff were lovely and very accommodating. Easy to park, Italian restaurant across the road is awesome, would stay again.

This was the only hotel in Apollo Bay willing to check us in after 9PM! We were stranded when our vehicle broke down, they came to pick us up, and even gave us a complimentary upgrade to a bigger room since we had a lot of luggage. The bed as so comfortable and the room was huge! The hotel was spotlessly clean, and you couldn't ask for better management. Both Robyn and David were so kind and friendly, and they were very knowledgeable providing lots of tips for local spots. We cannot thank them enough for their flexibility and their help getting us back on the road! Our original itinerary didn't plan to stop in Apollo Bay, but if we return to the Great Ocean Road, we will be planning to sleep here!

Room was recently renovated bathroom looked brand new. Great value for money and staff were super friendly. Check in and check out were simple and no fuss. Stay gave us lots of tips on where to go and what we should see which was great also. Highly recommended

We stopped at BW Apollo Bay on our Great Ocean rd drive. The premises are just off the main road so really quiet but still very close. Roomeas very clean and neat with a great king size bed that was suprr comfortable. We met Rebekah in reception who was especially helpful and made us feel like valued guest. Loved the freebies if you forgot toiletries like toothbrush or shaving stuff, reception had free supply. And FRESH local milk! Loved it!

We wanted to spend three days on the Great Ocean Road, dropping by some of the various seaside attractions and parks, and taking in the Twelve Apostles. Apollo Bay looked like a good half-way point for ending our first day, and heading out from and returning to on our second day. The Best Western Apollo Bay provided us with a perfect base of operations, easy check-in, parking, close to a number of bars and restaurants but quietly tucked around the corner from the noise of the businesses along the highway. It was a great 1 night stay for our Great Ocean Road trip! Friendly and informative reception/owner! The motel room is basic, yet clean and comfortable with good room amenities and toiletries. The bed comes with electric blanket to keep you warm. Great location! slightly away from the main street. Definitely recommended!

What can I say a pretty basic motel in one of the larger towns on the great ocean road. Room was pretty basic but clean, pool was tiny but WiFi in rooms good and it is in an easy to find location and at a reasonable price.

Bed was comfortable. And location good. However 1970s brick and primary school design was never that endearing. Completely without charm. Avoid if you can find somewhere else. Unfortunately we couldn't.

A very nice motel slightly spoilt by noisy fellow guests. Just the 1 night spent here on our 1st stop along the Great Ocean Rd. Our room was adjacent to the laundry room which fortunately was not highly used. The room itself was clean with all the expected amenities. A good choice of restaurants nearby. Very helpful receptionist who told us not to miss the mariners lookout who's advise we took. The view was magnificent.

Excellent motel in an ideal location for the resort yet off the busy main road. Reception staff/owner absolutely brilliant. Room very good - large, roomy, well equipped and clean with parking directly outside. Would recommend anyone to stay there.

Very Comfortable King sized bed, small kitchen with cooking facilities and a TV with great reception and quite a few Foxtel Channels. We were given a small apartment for the price of a normal motel room. It was very clean and quite cosy. The only thing is the actual shower recess was tiny and you had to step up into it which was a little scary, otherwise the bathroom was quite roomy and airy. We would definitely stay here again, the staff were very friendly and helpful and an easy walk to the Main Street. Also had free WiFi for unlimited devices. A very short walk to the beautiful foreshore and beach. The motel is near the mountains and they looked amazing

We paid $300 for a night - better to say: we paid that much for a nightmare. There was a terrible smell in the bathroom (somewhere around the toilet seat) because of which we had to have the doors open over the night to get at least some fresh air. For that amount of money we were expecting everything extremely clean, staff to be very welcoming and caring... less to say that we were expecting to sleep with closed doors!

Best place in apollo bay to stay. Loved this place and hospitality. Nice and cleans rooms with nice view. Ample parking space and easy and convenient access to market. Walking distance to beach . Really loved this place

Though the rooms are a tad spartan (just concrete boxes), we felt at home here. Separate bedroom and living room and kitchenette. Near to Apollo Bay shops. No breakfast but the reception gave us some milk if we wanted tea or coffee. As with other motels, some guests leave their doors open and are a bit noisy, but not the motel's fault. Would have happily stayed longer.

We stayed here for one night while we looked around all the places along the Great Ocean Road. Very friendly and happy staff, the room was spotless and very comfortable, and nice and handy to walk to shops.

Great guy on reception welcomes you, but the rooms are basic. Bed was comfy enough and walk in shower worked fine. Rooms was clean too, but this is a motel and a one night was about enough for us on this. we knew what we were getting and got it, but did hope for slightly more. would we stay again? probably not, but that isn't to say it wouldn't do the job again if needed.

We stayed here for one night during our Great Ocean Road trip. We didn't expect much since it was only one night at a fairly low key place but it was pretty enjoyable. The room was nice and clean and one of the few places we've stayed at with USB chargers so we didn't have to share our one adapter when we wanted to charge our phone. The person at the front desk was very friendly and provided us with a map and list of places we should check out during our trip. She also provided some good dinner recommendations which did not disappoint. I'd recommend staying here for anyone passing through Apollo Bay.

The friendly and diligent work of the entire management and staff is what makes this motel one not to be bypassed. We stayed here for six weeks and had the opportunity to see it busy and not so busy, to see the longer term service and maintenance programs. If it could reasonably be done all we had to do was ask. My wife was working night shift necessitating sleeping in the unit during the day. We were provided with a fan to provide some white noise and breeze in the bedroom. Nearby noisy maintenance was rescheduled, unasked, so she was not disturbed. The bed was fabulously comfortable. When we moved out I left behind a pair of expensive sunglasses and not only were they found (usually stuff left behind seems to be strangely not found) but happy posted onto me at no charge. I would fight to get into this accommodation next time we are in Apollo Bay.

Stopped for a night here while travelling along The Great Ocean Road. A very friendly welcome from Matthew along with some good local knowledge of dinner options in town. Our motel room was spotless and well appointed. Extremely comfortable bed, excellent bedside reading lights (so often not given much thought) and fresh milk for our tea and coffee. There is a nice pool if you want to cool off after a day on the road. Guest laundry available should you need it. No hesitation in recommending a stay here.

Great value! Clean. Modern bathrooms, spacious room.Stumbled into town and took a chance and was so glad to meet all the great folks that work there. All employees had great tips of where to go in or out of town. Casalingo was great suggestion for food. David and Robyn(owner) could not be nicer!

A perfect motel to start the Great Ocean Road and the surrounding forrest. Beach is across the road, nice Italian restaurant arround the corner. we where here for 1 night and almost for 2 nights because we forgot to check out to go to our next stop, yes a roadtrip is exhausting. however "Robyn" helped us to sort it out with the owner of our next stop. Many thanks for that. Definatly worth coming back.

Wonderful small hotel with rooms which look newly renovated. Friendly staff. All facilities in room and great wifi and shower. Breakfast is served in the room which is a bit less comfortable but it works. Great bed and location.

Traveling through Apollo Bay just wanted somewhere close to beach to stay one night surprised to see a Best Western so though we would take a look at what they had vacant. They had friendly staff, good pillows and bed, beautiful sheets,very good location Will be back next time, very good amenities with fully quipped kitchen Highly recommend

This was perfect as a stop over on our leisurely trip along the Great Ocean Road. The reception staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was very clean - great shower and extremely comfortable bed. Room was a good size and the location was excellent. Literally no more than a minute or so from everything you could need. It's not a luxury hotel, but it does exactly what it sets out to do - provide an extremely comfortable, clean and convenient place to stay.

This motel was well equipped and very clean. the staff were very friendly and helpful, A very big bedroom and a lovely modern bathroom. just a short walk to the main street. I would highly recommend this motel.

Great location in town, walking distance to pubs, restaurants and beach. The hosts were very accommodating to any requests. Clean and tidy rooms. Some rooms are a bit cosy but most were comfortable in size. Lovely bedding. We were in a large group of about 20 friends who were all impressed.

Stayed here for two nights for business and I must say it was a very comfortable bed. The linen was very fresh and smooth, the room was clean and tidy. The only downside was the hot water took about 4-5 minutes to get hot, but other then that my stay was very comfortable and I would stay here again.

Spent 1 night at this great motel in the heart of town. Has all the necessary amenitys including laundry, pool and option of breakfast. Staff were friendly. Rooms were clean. Walking distance from shops and restaurants and hotels. The whole place was tidy and well maintained.

Good accomodations for an overnight stay and visit to the attractions of the Great Ocean Road: 12 Apostles, Loch Ard Gorge, London Bridge and Bay of Islands. All of these attractions start about 100 km from the hotel, after passing through a beautiful forest. Check in until 21 h; external swimming pool..

I haven't stayed in a motel for over 20 years, and I didn't know how much I missed them. Living in europe, you get used to checking in to a hotel, asking if there is parking anywhere in the area and then spending 30 minutes trying to find somewhere to leave the car where it won't get burned by rioters. Compared to that, the motel experience is pure heaven. We checked in, we parked in front of our room, no hassle with our bags. We didn't use the pool (because winter) and I skipped the room service breakfast (because local bakery) but everything else about this motel is exactly the way I remember the experience to be. I like motels! We also got the advice to drive up to Mariner's Lookout, great view. Thanks for the tip.

The hotel is very conveniently located in Apollo Bay for the shops and amenities. You can park right outside the ground floor rooms so you can easily unload your baggage. The only negative comments are that the soundproofing is poor and you can hear your neighbours. There was also the noise from several lorries delivering goods to nearby shops in the early morning. Otherwise, well-serviced, immaculate rooms.

Not our usual choice of accommodation, but a good one. Walked in to reserve at a good rate. Clean room, nice comfortable bed and close to several good eateries. Ideal stopover on the way from Millicent to Melbourne...Recommended.

The rooms are good but the surroundings are not exciting although it is relatively centrally located and there are several good restaurants withing easy walking distance. As always during our six weeks in Australia, we only met very friendly and helpful staff. The room was well equipped.

Agree with other reviewer that this is a very average old style motel. This is really grim if your surroundings are important to you. Clean. Tiny rooms but well equipped. Shower had to be seen to be believed, was it really a 1950s relic? Do not believe the photo shown, goodness knows how they got it to look Iike that. The "swimming pool" is in the middle of the car park and looks very much like something associated with electricity production DO NOT HAVE BREAKFAST HERE. Our breakfast was just like an airplane meal, everything was prepackaged even the cutlery and the bread to make toast! Has guest laundry which is useful. The hugely redeeming feature was the amazing guy on reception, who was efficient and helpful in practical ways as well as suggesting we visit Red Rock near Colac. Which is beautiful, 360 degree views over lakes and countryside and well worth a small detour but we didn't want to continue along the coast road to the 12 apostles anyway.

My husband and I arrived for an overnight stay for our anniversary, we were in room 216 right under the stairs, next to the laundry room (10am-6pm) and only metres from the pub next door so had a small amount of noise but nothing too concerning and we had the best nights sleep we've had in a long time. The beds are so comfortable, very clean and top quality linen made for one luxurious sleep! The towels are very soft and absorbent too. Everything was clean and in order. Check in and out was friendly and efficient. Will recommend! Thank you for the lovely stay.

This motel is easygoing and simple. Our room was clean, functional and has everything you need. Bathroom a bit too small and shower box too. Bed quality is good. Internet can be a little slow but otherwise works. Parking is available. All in all a fine place for stopover.

We spent 2 nights here. It is central to everything. The room was clean. However it would be the smallest room I have ever stayed or seen. It had a king bed which we wanted but that was pretty much it. It was tight all round. The shower was big but the ensuite again small. A little to squishy for us.

travelled the Great Ocean Rd and found this by chance really but very glad we did .great location along the G.O.R and Apollo Bay is a stunning location.well equipped room with good facilties and a comfy bed .very helpful staff and it is highly recommended by ourselves.would definatley go back here.

During our Great-Ocean-Road-Trip we had one Night at the Motel. Room was clean, Breakfast that we ordered separate was for the Price o.k. Opposite side of the Entrance is an Italian Restaurant I can recommend for Dinner!

Bed comfortable, breakfast ... massive! We had a bowl of fruit each, which was a meal in itself - and then a cooked breakfast which was equally massive. Full marks to David and Robyn who arranged to deliver the fruit early, while the cooked meal was being prepared, so it wouldn't be cold by the time we got to it. We left an item behind, and had a call from Robyn around midday to alert us. Returning, there it was. That's customer care. Thanks.

Starting from the receptionist this place is very cozy. She gave us a bottle of fresh milk to be used with tea in the room. Our room is actually an apartment and we find it very comfortable and clean, exceptionally clean. Unfortunately we will just stop here for a night so the relax lasts a few hours. We advise this place for everything, location, politeness and comfort. There is also a wonderful restaurant in front of the Motel called Casalingo, a must! We are Italian and the italian food they propose is far better than some food I eat in Italy. And the price in line with the others.

We had a night here on our trip along Great Ocean Road. The owners were very friendly, the bed was super comfy and they stock locally brewed beer, Prickly Moses, in the mini bar that was very tasty. The room was quiet and it's just around the corner from the main street.

I was lucky to spend the night in one bedroom apartment with a magnificent King Bed. It was so good, I had to ask if I was the first person to sleep in it! (I wasn't by the way). David and Robyn provided a smile and good recommendations too. Thanks!

Room was well set up and clean. Close to Maritime exhibit - worth a visit. Food was good and service was great. Staff were efficient, friendly with a good sense of humour. We were part of a group of 40 and the hotel coped admirably.

I stayed here for 2 nights with a couple of friends just a few weeks ago, and we were amazed at how great the stay was. First off, the staff were super friendly, both when booking the room and upon arrival (shout out to Matt at reception who gave us a heap of information about what to do around the area while we were visiting!). As we arrived quite late into the afternoon, we were given some recommendations on places to eat (The pub next door was a top recommendation). As we needed to check in on Facebook and let everybody know we'd arrived safely, there was no hesitation in supplying us each with wifi codes which we could use for our visit. Fast internet too, which I've learned is not always so common in Australian motels... The room/apartment that we were given was great. Double bed in one room, and two singles in the other. All very comfortable, with extra pillows and blankets provided. It felt like it would be very easy to stay a few extra nights, and it was super cosy. We'll definitely be coming back in Summer for a longer period no doubt! Being winter, it was going to be cold but thankfully the apartment had a fast-working heater which warmed the place up for us so when we got back from dinner we were nice and toasty. One of my friends was stoked that they provided Peppermint tea as well as other varieties haha. This place is in a great location, right near the shorefront and near all the shops and restaraunts. Although Great Ocean Road isn't a huge destination during the colder months, I can guarantee that this would be a great place to spend a few nights if you plan on ever doing the Great Ocean Road. Apollo Bay is a beautiful seaside town, and it's easily accessible to all the highlights the GOR has to offer. If you're going to treat yourself to the beauty of the coast, you may as well treat yourself to some good accommodation too. Thank you Apollo Bay Best Western! We'll be sure to return soon!

We stayed here on our way back from WA and it was easily the best motel on our trip.The room was spacious, spotless and the cooked breakfast in the morning was a surprise as we didn't know it was included when we booked. Location is great with hotels and restaurants just a short walk. Robyn and her staff were very friendly and helpful and we will definitely stay again.Recommend for sure

Location is good - restaurants are just opposite/nearby and near to Cape Otway. A good pit-stop after driving from Melbourne. Room is clean and spacious. Staff was friendly. There is a Dooley's icecream nearby and a must-try. I would say this is an average stay.

Very impressed by the way the staff made us feel very welcome and went 'way and above' what would be expected to make our stay comfortable. The rooms were immaculately clean, they turned the heaters on to pre-warm our rooms (which was great seeing it was some of the coldest weather in years - snow fell on the Otways), Bed linen and towels were very fresh and new feeling-and adding to the recently refreshed looking rooms - very comfortable for sleeping (big sized beds and bath sheets!!) Looking forward to my next visit to the Apollo bay region and experiencing more of what is on offer and suggestions recommended by the staff David, Robyn and Matt at Best Western Apollo Bay. Recommend a stay there to anyone.

Staff were very helpful with advice on local attractions. Breakfast was nice, and they were very quick to bring coffee when we realised it hadn't been ordered.... Room was small but clean. Big price hike for the long weekend was disappointing.

I could not believe the charge 400 dollars for a run down apartment style room, we did the great ocean road and stayed at four places this was by far the most expensive and the most run down and we had to lug our cases up stairs, save your time and money and go to the comfort inn international, you won't be sorry, I have stayed there before and it s..ts all over this joint.

Iwas just for a night, but at this time in late March the last Hotel i could get. which made me curious what i might find. Its a lovely motor Inn, with good equipped rooms, and a nice friendly staff. The price is Apollo Bay price, nothing much you can do about if you need to stay.

Great location, clean, spacious room, but the best thing was the staff - v friendly, knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble. Pointed us in the direction of a great restaurant and a great unknown tourist stop. Will definitely stay here again, thank you.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Motel is very well positioned and maintained. We were given a free upgrade on arrival to a 1 Bedroom apartment and the accommodation was very comfortable. Only draw back is the position of the swimming pool which is located in the middle of the parking area and is not very private.

We were welcomed with a friendly greeting at this accommodation. The room was very clean and tidy, the facilites were great for the 'eating out traveller'...no cooking facilities.The bed was very comfortable and the shower was good. WiFi was free for the length of the length of the stay.We did the laundry...no problem.

Stayed here with family on our way to Adelaide (great ocean road). no need to mention the lication its amazingly beautiful, the hotel itself is simple, quiet and clean, the staff at the reception was friendly and helpfull. we paid AUS345 for a studio and one bedroom apartment, which is not very cheap nor expensive either. Pity they dont have any room with ocean view. Not a bad place, might come again.

The hotel is very clean and it looked like our room had been redecorated very recently. The hotel is set back from the main road so no excess noise. The hotel was full that weekend and there was little noise at all. The staff were very knowledgeable about the area and gave fantastic advice on where to go to make the most of our 1 night stay. Would definitely stay here again!

We found the motel to be an excellent facility for our stopover. It was basic but comfortable. The owners were excellent mine hosts - friendly and helpful. The food for the hot breakfast was great. A comfortable bed and good hot shower - what more could you want?

A great place to stop on the Great Ocean Road we stopped here on our way up to Warrnambool and on our way back, plenty going on with plenty of places to eat. We stayed at the Best Western, a good location, staff very friendly and helpful nothing to much trouble, the breakfast was good and set us up for the day

Stayed here with 4 people, 2 couples. The second room contained 3 single beds which was not ideal, but wasn't the end of the world. The facilities were basic and clean. The location is just off the main street, so it's easy to pop down the road for some food and or drinks.

good location in the center of Apollo Bay no food available on motel premises - watch opening times of the nearby restaurants or you may find yourself hungry! Found Apollo Bay very disappointing, would not choose to stay there again

Long weekend only stayed one night got charged $240 room was below average milk from reception was 2days out of date biscuits stale. Exploited because only accomodation left, stayed next night in Apollo Bay for $40 dollars less in a 5star motel.

We stayed in a one bedroom with kitchen suite. The owner was helpful and helped us change our booking to postpone by one day without any trouble on a short notice. The property is alongside the plethora of other properties in Apollo Bay Area. The room was decent , with necessary equipment in kitchen and amenities in bathroom. However the rooms have a worn down old look, the bathroom seemed renovated though compared to the kitchen / living room and bedroom. Overall convenient stay for a day.

Very clean accommodation - well located in centre of town. Good place for an over night stay on our Great Ocean Road trip. Would recommend this as a good stopping point. Good access point to local shops and eating places.

clean and simple for a one night stay. no views but OK. easy to find as just turn off from main road. perhaps time for a bit of renovation to make it more refreshing. food, beach and shopping all within walking distance. internet could be faster

The couple running the place are very nice and welcoming. Made a last minute booking and good rates in a nice location. Room was clean and comfortable. Definitely recommend this to anyone staying in apollo bay.

Stayed a night on journey along the Great Ocean Road - very welcoming and friendly staff who gave us lots of useful information and lots of alternative tourists attractions which were fab. Very clean with everything you need. Lovely walks and views not far from the motel. Parking right outside your rooms which was great. Only problem we encountered with the town was that everything was shut by the time we got there around 6pm, but managed to eat in a hotel nearby. Could have been low season? Would certainly recommend.

Refurbished room with modern bathroom (fabulous shower) and really comfy bed. Clean and well appointed and right in town. Highly recommended. The man in reception was friendly and helpful. I was pleased to find fresh milk instead of uht for tea and coffee in the room.

We stayed in a two bedroom unit for one night - very noisy, banging sounds all through the night - situated next to the stairs so heard everyone going up and down all night and situated right behind the pub so heard pub sounds all night. Our stay was not enhanced by the loud swearing echoing through the night from pub leavers at about 1AM and then the stomping on stairs which followed. Furniture very well used and unit very dated. Would not recommend this place if you wanted a good night's sleep. Wi-Fi very slow. At $320 for a night very expensive.

Spent one night here on route between Melbourne and Pt Cambell. Adequate for our needs. Comfortable bed, clean room, toiletries, towels and really, really hot water for showers. Good TV. Very central for restaurants and cafes. Met the owner next morning. Very hospitable gentleman.

Maybe the standard is different? The price is higher than elsewhere. Units are small with tight bathrooms in need of a spruce and a better clean. No cooking facility, and no way to clean cups and plate. Looking at positives, near to shops and food, ok service. Bottom line, plan ahead and find another overnight stay, preferably not Apollo Bay.

We stayed a couple of nights during the busy long weekend and found the amenities, staff and location of this motel to be fantastic. Half a block from the main street, beach and cafes is perfect. Management could not have done more to improve our stay - which included some handy advice fro a shortcut for the trip home.

We stayed here two nights over the AFL holiday week end. The place is easy to find, near to all cafes shops etc but off main Rd so quieter. Plenty of safe parking , right outside your room. Rooms are clean and comfortable with everything you need for a short stay. Shower was roomy and lots of hot water. Beds have heating blankets and there's a heater/air con which works efficiently. Limited space in the room , but plenty for a week end stay. Friendly staff on reception. clean towels and bed linen each day and toiletries, tea, coffee biscuits and milk provided. We got a two night offer and the price was reasonable. a small pool in the middle of the car park area, a god send if its really hot or you have kids who need tiring out!

As part of our deal we had breakfast which was delicious and generous too. The proprietors are always friendly and happy to chat to their customers. The motel is very well located - close to eateries, shops and the ocean.

During our trip along the Great Ocean Road we chose this motel for our overnight stay at Apollo Bay. This choice turned out to be just perfect. Our unit was clean and very well set up with all the facilities to meet our requirements. The owners were very welcoming and friendly and were happy to provide us with brochures, maps and their local knowledge information about the area. There was an Italian restaurant just across the road where we enjoyed an excellent meal. The breakfast which was delivered to our room the next morning with a friendly smile was first class. We certainly felt refreshed after a good night's rest at this relaxing location and ready to continue on our journey.
