« Great staff, great view! »

We stayed there nights and we had a very pleasant experience! The room was clean with a beautiful view. We wanted to relax after a stressful year and we were able to do so. The only thing was the breakfast that was not the highlight of our say, if you are not vegetarian and gluten-free, and you can eat regular food then you can definitely fill your stomach.

    « Great hotel »

LOVE the bed. Really want to know the brand and model. We have kids who live nearby; we will stay again! And the doggie was welcomed. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Plenty of services nearby. We had a water view, but it was dark our entire stay. Pool access is strange, but nice facility. Wish the hot tub was a bit warmer. Again, lovely spot to return to with great online deals. And we will.

    « Overall A Great Value »

Great location, ample parking, lovely lobby, nice staff. Was first put in a lesser room than my reservation, but they were gracious in relocating us when I called. Fantastic view. Nice walking path for hotel. Better pool than you would normally expect. Bathroom was tiny. Heater was noisy. Room was small (with king Size Bed). Breakfast cost $5 per person but was well work it, twice as good as you what you would get for free with a lovely view and lots of seating. For the price I would return.

    « Quality stay »

We have stayed at many Best Westerns and this is by far one of my favorite. We have stayed at this facility twice and both times we enjoyed our stay. Our room came with complimentary breakfast and it wasn't just a contenential breakfast. It was buffet style with great choices. The tables overlooked the Puget Sound. Very enjoyable.

« No parking in the lot... had to park on street... »

Restaurant service was very very slow... had to ask several times to wash table...no forks... had a long wait for food...very disappointed .but bedding was great but bed was really high... toilet was very small..in the handicap room...will stay there again but not eat there.

    « Weekend archery trip »

Just wish the breakfast was included in the price, that would have made it worth the money The grounds where well kept, the decor was nice, the staff was friendly and helpful. The pool area was nice, but a lot of chlorine.

    « Weekend getaway »

Enjoyable weekend at this hotel. Right on the water. Great friendly staff. Enjoyed a brisk walk along the seawall fronting the hotel.. Negatives-not very soundproof, noisy with guests on next floor above us. Also with 2 queen beds, there was no room for some casual chairs.

« overnight first time at Silverdale »

If you're looking for the Paris Hilton, this isn't it. However, if you're looking for outstanding value at a very serene waterfront property in a really nice little community at the head of an inlet, this might be for you. Very good value with great staff and a comfortable room.

« Good Hotel with a nice pool! »

The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. City view means parking lot view but you get what you pay for. Breakfast was very good and the location is good. The parking lot is very large and seems secure.

    « Clean & Nice Hotel! »

We stayed here for two nights in November. We would to relax during our stay. The water view room was very nice. The room was very clean and comfortable. Also, the staff were very friendly. During our checking, the accommodated all our request. They changed our room to be close to our friends' room and even upgraded our room without extra charge. We will come back again!

Great place to stay. Inviting entrance, staff is always smiling, helpful. The views on the balcony rooms were amazingly beautiful. The lounge is outstanding and bartenders know how to mix any drink. And the beer is cold. And the breakfast buffet and staff were absolutly perfect.

    « Good but not ..... »

We have stayed here in the past. Always liked the BW here. Our room 335 had a great view, but did have a few issues. First, it is about 3/4th the size of most rooms. Just seemed too small. Second, the heat went to 80 degrees in the middle of the night and the drapes on the window seemed to have some mildew or mold on them. I do have some pictures of that. The staff were quite nice, the breakfast, around 8 bucks was some eggs with cheese on top, some tired bacon and sausage and the usual stuff that is free elsewhere. After looking at the line, we decided to go either to the IHOP or Sherri's directly across the street. There were only three other people having breakfast in this very large dining area. There may be a reason for that. Like this place and the setting is good, but we were disappointed in our stay. The View was Great, and we will probably return, but it just was not what we expected. They need to work on some improvements perhaps.

    « Beautiful Property! »

As first time guests to this Best Western, we will never say anywhere else when in the area! The location is both convenient to shopping and restaurants, and beautiful, as it is located right on the water. The feel is upscale and tasteful. Rooms are standard for this chain, with tiny balconies. As a swimmer, I always review the pool of each motel we visit, and this was one of the best. The pool house was very nice, with vaulted ceilings and a large wall of windows looking right out onto the water not far away. The water was WARM, which earns this property many brownie points in my book! And as a big bonus- the hot tub was not so hot that one was forced out after a few minutes to avoid cooking clear through! The only negative about this pools was its' access- very odd.You must take the elevator down to the basement, then walk UP a flight of stairs to reach the pool house. It is actually located on the main level of the motel, but cannot be reached by means of walking in from the outside, so you must do this little down-up dance including traversing a very long hall, and cross a large room that looks like a ballet studio, in order to finally arrive. They do have a lift chair for handicap access. The coin laundry is also located in this basement area. So, difficult pool access is a quirk of this property. We always try to stay in a motel that offers a complimentary breakfast, however, this one does not. They do serve a breakfast buffet for about $8pp, in a nice room overlooking the water. An unusual feature of this property is its' large outdoor area out back, with green lawns, the water, a large patio and benches. It could be a good area for the little ones to run off some energy from that long car ride. The property is lovely and comfortable, with knowledgeable, helpful staff. I highly recommend!

« Inviting daily breakfast buffet open to the public »

Most hotels offer a complimentary breakfast buffet to their guests. This one recently opened it to the public as well, for a very reasonable fee. The food was very good for the price. The hours are from 6 to 10 AM daily. Each day, they add one special item. This time it appeared to be chorizo and scrambled eggs with fried tortilla chips. You can also sit beside wall to wall windows with a view of the Puget Sound. Complimentary beverages too.

    « Great views! »

Great view and clean rooms. Bed was really comfortable. Husband enjoyed the balcony and shower head was perfect!. No small spray of water but a good full spray. Breakfast was wonderful. Pool was perfect for us. Staff was really friendly. Would stay here again!

    « Perfect water setting »

Wanting to visit Seattle, we decided to stay 'close' instead, settling on Silverdale after seeing photos of the BW. Got a junior suite (upgraded) with water view. Perfect amenities, hospitable lounge, friendly front desk staff at all occasions, greatest breakfast buffet, again with personable staff. Lobby with newspapers, fireplace. Restaurants, shopping nearby, AND a pleasant, long waterfront walk.

    « Don't even consider this one »

This was the 40th Best Western that I have visited this calendar year and am saddened to say it was the worst experience this year. I have seldom encountered a hotel of this supposed quality to be so bad. It started with the reception when I checked. I never felt welcomed nor considered to be a valued customer. Both receptionists were involved in personal conversation with guests(?) and failed to notice that I was waiting. After being registered, no information was given to me except a yellow card with the WiFi information. I was not informed of any hotel features nor was I informed of breakfast. I found the room very small and the bathroom ridiculously small and this was supposed to be a deluxe king. Then there was no soap in the receptacles at the sink nor in the shower. There also was no shampoo. The lotion and conditioner containers were filled. There was no soap bar by the sink although there was a soap dish. When we wanted to put our laundry in a bag we found no bag in the closet nor in any of the drawers. On a minor note, the was no listing of the TV channels available. Positively, there were ample plug ins available for electronics and the room was very clean. At check out, when I mentioned the problems, both expressed concern. Not having been told about breakfast (my fault for not reading ahead) was disappointing as $7.95 would be a bit much for coffee and toast.

Outstanding in so many ways. Great staff, perfect location, lots to do (walk the beach, outdoor beachfront bonfire, beautiful pool, bike the immense trails, all types of food close by and available at all hours), comfortable and accommodating. Will definitely go again.

« Nice Hotel , Nice people ,Great setting. »

I was trying to book a hotel near Seattle at a reasonable price and luckily ended up in the Best Western Silverdale . It's a very comfortable hotel in a truly lovely setting on the edge of a lake about 12 miles and a ferry ride from Seattle. If you dont want the ferry its around 25 miles. The dining room and bar are a bit basic and touristy but ok for breakfast or a quick drink in the evening. Luckily the hotel is surrounded by good restaurants all within an easy stroll from the hotel. The room was excellent , very comfortable and quiet ensuring a good nights sleep. Compared to City centre hotels the prices were very reasonable. I had a very enjoyable stay.

    « Great »

We stayed here for one night. The reception staff were great and were able to accommodate all our requests. The reception area was clean well decorated and maintained. The public areas were clean and well maintained. Our room was spotless. The bed was lump free and the sheets were white and crease free. The pillows smelt fresh. The room had plenty of space to move about and the scenic view was breath taking. The hotel was busy but there was an air of calm and quiet. i would stay here again.

    « Excellent Service »

This was our second stay here! After the wonderful time we had for my boyfriend a month ago I didn't hesitate to pick this place for my birthday getaway. The views can not be beat! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful they go the extra mile to make sure your stay if the absolute best it can be. Jose and Cheyenne are the greatest. They go beyond the regular duties and make you feel like old friends. However there are some rooms with tiny bathrooms. And our housekeeping wasn't as good this visit. The lounge was enjoyable and for snacks the food as ok. We didn't do breakfast this trip since the last visit it wasn't kept stocked and they don't let you take it back to your room ,which is our preference. Our next trip we may bring the kids.definitely will be back!!

« Check your door batteries »

Great view. Front desk staff is friendly and professional. Restaurant staff is disorganized during the morning breakfast, kept asking us if we had a voucher. Overall the food was ok, good selection (cereal, eggs, sausage, bread, variety of juices and milk, pastries that need to be thrown out, and a waffle maker with several choices of batter. Batteries in our room door died, so the maintenance guy climbed through the balcony of an adjacent room to unlock and repair. That room was occupied by other people and it seems bizarre to me that staff has no other way to enter a room besides climbing from one balcony to another. Our key stopped working 3 times during our 1 night stay. On Sundays they have church service in one of the rooms in the lobby for ALL to hear. Seemed a bit strange to me. I travel alot and I dont think I've ever seeing that before. Overall the hotel is clean and the view is great.

    5
« Great breakfast and value »

Clean, comfy bed, quiet, very nice staff. Do get the breakfast voucher for $5, really worth it if you are a breakfast person. They do check your voucher frequently so patience is a must. Again, the staff is very professional. Easy to find, excellent value, and convenient to the freeway. Will definitely recommend staying here and we will be back.

    « Wind Storm Stay »

Beautiful hotel. Had a king corner suite and enjoyed watching the storm. Bar, breakfast, and pool were wonderful. Air system was only problem as it blew directly on the bed. Very convenient to walking to many places and Clear Creek Trail.

    « GREAT Hotel!!! »

Definitely stay here!!! Amazing view and excellent breakfast!! The hotel is at a great location right next to the water. Very clean and roomy in which you will enjoy your stay. This is not your average Best Western!!!

    4
« My Go to hotel »

Great hotel! The location is perfect, facing the Puget Sound. Friendly people to check In their guests. I like that for $5.00 you can get a descent breakfast. There is a Starbucks across the road as well as numerous restaurants. When visiting family on the Kitsap Pennisula we will always stay at this Best Western.

    3
    « Decent Hotel »

Clean and very friendly staff. A lot of random mis-matched random furniture and wall art throughout hotel, but rooms were pretty consistent and modern. Very friendly staff at breakfast and FD staff was always pleasant. Big parking lot and a nice waterfront hotel

    5
    « What a great find »

The staff are warm and welcoming. The lobby has flavored water and coffee all day, nice touch. The beach front property is amazing. The breakfast is hearty and there are many choices. I will be returning for another quick get away.

« Excellent service, accommodations and food! »

We stayed here on our wedding night a few years ago, and came back for our anniversary. It did not disappoint! We were joined in the pool area by another couple on their anniversary. The place to be! Food was outstanding, room impeccably clean, and the staff friendly, helpful - even in the midst of a loud crowd in the lobby!

  • 5
    « Comfy »

I prefer smaller towns, but needed to be here. The room was very comfy, especially the bed. I had a sort of water view which was nothing spectacular. Everything that I used worked well, room was clean and well appointed. The need coffee pots in the room that make 4 cups at once tho, 1 cup at a time won't even fill my own mug let alone my friends, so just went down to the lobby to get coffee.

    5
    « quick trip »

Will be back! Friendly Staff, great rooms and oh did I forget to mention the warm cookies served at the front desk... yum!!! They had a fun band in the lounge which was done playing at a decent hour, great way to cap off the night!

    1
« A PLUS that is all bad. »

Stayed one night of a two night reservation. Had a king bed room, balcony water view. The room was tiny, and worn out. The desk was small, and scarred from old cigarette burns. Carpets were lifting at seams. Bathroom was 6ft X 6ft. One side had the tub full length. The other side had the sink vanity full length. Between those two was the toilet. The door opened inwards. To close the door you had to straddle the toilet. The heat didn't work. Set to 72 degrees the temperature dropped to 67 with the heat on. It would do nothing except blow cool air. I finally just turned it off and wore a jacket. The wifi internet was so slow it was almost useless. 3.5 mbps up and down. The deck was tiny, there were no chairs to sit outside. TV was a 32 inch. I have a computer monitor screen that size. Room was noisy, you could hear the people next door talking. A band played in the bar. I could dance along all night, it was as if I was right there with them. Soaps/shampoo were the bulk style dispensers mounted on the wall. Cheap stuff, even cheaper when they are empty like these were. One bath towel, two hand towels, and a washcloth. Not good enough for two people. Had a toss and turn sleep on an uncomfortable bed, and left at 700am...never to return.

    4
    « it's worth it »

the view alone is awesome!!! The hotel itself is also very good. There were cookies upon arrival, cupcakes as we were leaving. Fresh coffee was available 24/7. The staff was great. Oh, and the best night sleep I had on our entire trip!!!

    5
« Great value and beautiful view »

Hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. I needed a late check out and was a little past the noon check out time that they give you without an extra charge. They were understanding and didn't charge me extra. The views of the ocean from the room were amazing to wake up to everyday. Definitely will stay here again when I'm back in the area.

    4
    « Great Location »

Great view of the water. Hotel is walking distance to lots of stores, restaurants and other amenities. There's a public walking/jogging path out the front door that follows the water. The room was starting to show it's age but it was clean, everything worked and the bed was very comfortable. For the money this Best Western is a very good value.

    5
« a great spot to rest and relax »

I was going to enter the dog show and forgot - but I went anyway because I had a room at this Best Western. Figured I could come see all my friends and all the dogs then go have some "me" time. What a great idea that was. I was pampered by this hotel from check in to check out. The room was wonderful - the partial view was perfect and the sleep I got was so desperately needed! I am disabled and they did not make me feel like a burden - always reaching out to help me. The martini bar had a nice band playing on Saturday night and my drink was perfect. I slept like a rock, enjoyed the "me" time and felt so wonderful I wish I could have stayed another night. I will come back to this lovely gracious hotel.

    4
    « Great stay »

Our room and balcony were large and the view of the water was wonderful. The hotel is right on the water. The room was lovely and our stay was great. The noise from the hallway and other rooms was quite noticeable but we use a sound machine at night so it wasn't a problem when we were sleeping.

    4
« Lovely venue, huge room, happy customer »

Stayed here at the end of August as a friend was getting married nearby. The rooms were inexpensive, lovely and huge! There is a retail park nearby filled with shops and the mall is about 5-10 mins drive tops so in terms of facilities the location is perfect. The hotel breakfast which really could be improved, scrambled eggs with heaps of nacho style cheese on don't really appeal to the international customer, neither do the frankfurter style sausages however, at $5pp for pre-booking I shouldn't really complain. The only downside is really the advertisement of free bikes is a little misleading, as they are quite dated and there are only two of them so don't expect a family bike ride in the nearby trail. Finally a little tip, even though the sea is out, walking across the mud flats is not recommended. You'll quickly end up to your knees in mud!!

« Best Western Plus Silverdale Beach Hotel »

My family and I stayed 1 night at this hotel for my sister's wedding. The hotel was clean, the staff were very friendly, and the view was awesome! We also appreciated the affordable pricing! The Admiral Room was also a beautiful venue for my sister's wedding...I was very impressed!

    « Siverdale getaway »

We were planning a trip to Bainbridge Island, as it turned out, there were no vacancies for the dates we were looking for. We ended up booking in Silverdale instead, we were very happy with the Bestwestern Plus hotel. We would definitely book there again, it was a great place to stay at a reasonable price.

    5
« Very near military and outlets »

The staff was extremely helpful and the food excellent, Minor issues with the air conditioning was handled quickly by the maintenance man who ensured my room would remain at room temperature. Air conditioning was too cold, but it was a hot period of days--abnormal for Seattle. Rooms and beds great. I was NOT sleepless in Seattle. Met lots of nice folks as well in a wonderful lobby with a fire in the evening.

    4
« Great location, great view »

Both the view and location were great. Easy access to what I needed and a beautiful view of the water. Take time to enjoy breakfast while you are there. Don't forget to spend time in their outdoor area. Very relaxing.

    2
    « Disappointed »

When we called to book the room, we were offered water side of the hotel. When we arrive and got our keys, little did we know we would be the farthest room from the only one bank of elevators, but be put in a room on the parking lot side.

    5
    « Excellent Value! »

Great hotel. Great staff. Excellent value!!! Wedding guests all stayed here and had a wonderful stay. Staff was pleasant. Room was great. Location was beautiful and had zero issues. I was very impressed with the experience.

    5
« VERY RELXING PROPERTY ON THE OCEAN »

This hotel is situated on the ocean in a quiet bay. Surrounded by trees you are very protected from wind. When build this was all taken into account and laid out nicely, and well landscaped and manicured. From the hotel property you can walk 10 minutes into town, or step onto the nice beach. Nice pool facilities, and nice quiet lounge and restaurant. Wonderful place for a few days of relaxing. The service from the minute we arrived, until the moment we left was excellent. The lounge and restaurant service was better than most. This went along with the good bar list, and the good food menu. Also, shopping is right there, as are many other eating and drink establishments.

    4
« Silverdale Beach Hotel - great view »

Great View and Wonderful Staff. I actually left a personal item on the night stand. I called the front desk as soon as I realized my mistake and the Hotel held my item until I could pick it up. The hotel is a it older and I miss the ala carte breakfast menu, but there are a great many near-by options if guests do not want to buy the Breakfast Buffet

    3
    « Don't go into the lounge »

The hotel security are untrained to deal with people. They will take an innocent situation and blow it up to the point where you will be escorted from the hotel and not allowed to stay. the rest of the staff are friendly and helpful. But stay away from the night security people. They will ruin your stay

    5
« Stay in Silverdale, Washington »

Everything was excellent. The view from the deck was exceptional. The room was kept clean and the beds were very comfortable. Everyone was courteous. The free breakfast was good, although the eggs were dry.

« trip to wooden boat festival in Port Townsend »

Sorry to say this did not meet our excellent rating of other Best Westerns.Pool & spa was in need of maintenance. Noise from kids in hallways and slamming doors. Breakfast $5 each- Food was good but no one to seat us so our table was taken by someone else.

    « BEAUTIFUL hotel »

The pictures of this hotel don't do it justice. We had a room on the first floor with double french doors that opened up onto the patio, green grass and view of the Puget Sound. There are many classy touches to this hotel including the lobby area, tea and coffee station, outdoor fire pit, tables and chairs outside for breakfast or visiting and walkway. The beds were very comfortable. Breakfast cost $5 each but it is worth every penny. Thank you for making one of the last nights of our vacation a special one.

    5
« Great view and Great Stay »

You can't beat the value of this hotel for location, view, amenities, cleanliness, service, and support. The bar coupon and breakfast are exceptional. I did not try the pool or spa, but the gym was good. The treadmill needs an upgrade, but there are great trails for running.

    5
« Beautiful view and wonderful service »

Really enjoyed my one night stay, staff in the lounge were very engaging and great conversation! Follow google maps on your phone, not online driving directions. The bed was a little harder than I like but otherwise it was a great stay. Breakfast buffet was well worth it, the hashbrowns are delicious.

    5
« great location nice place »

Buy the buffet breakfast voucher for $5 good breakfast. Retail and eating options abound in this area. The hotel is really on a point where you can observe the tides go in and out. Nice outdoor area to sit and enjoy your surroundings It is right on the water

    5
« Great Place to Visit and very affordable. »

Other than some confusion on how to access the pool area, I was very pleased with everything the staff and hotel offered. The location is great and maybe in the future there would be a shuttle to the Ferry over in Bainbridge Island to Seattle. Local restaurants were very good also. I will definitely return and use this same hotel.

    « It Was Recommended »

The Best Western Silverdale was one of two recommended by a friend in Silverdale. It was a decent accommodation but by no means luxurious. Staff was friendly but were not good at following up on issues. Specifically, I arrived early and was waiting for a room to open up - they promised to call me but did not and when I inquired later on my own they had a room for me. They also were not able to pull up my Best Western club membership info and were going to work on that and contact me - they never did. I had a top floor room so did not experience any noise issues. The room was comfortable and clean - I had a lake view which was nice. Breakfast and a free evening beverage were included. The breakfast was definitely adequate (I did the buffet) and the drink was a nice touch. There is self-service laundry and a small gym; the equipment in the gym is in need of service. Considering the limited lodging options here this is probably a decent choice but it is a notch below what I am used to in larger cities.

    « Preggy Nice! »

I stayed at this hotel for four nights with my husband. I thought the hotel was very well taken care of and clean. The staff are really great and did their best to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Their is a martini bar (9-12$) and a restaurant that's nice, but pricey. They do serve breakfast, all-you-can-eat style, but it's not free. My husband got his for free since he was there on business, but it was 5 bucks for me. Overall, I would say this a definitely a place I would go again if I was in the area.

    « If I had another choice... »

I stayed at this hotel for work and was there about 2 weeks. I am from this area and had been at the hotel for numerous occasions over the years. I will admit that this was not my first choice for accommodations. First the positive- the front desk staff is great. They were always friendly and helpful. I don't think they could do better with the people they have there. The free wifi was faster and better than I was expecting. I had no problem streaming movies. Now the lots of negative- This place is old! The walls and ceiling are thin. The door in the bathroom was peeling. The room was just incredibly dated. The doors shut incredibly loudly. I could hear them anytime anyone in the hall left their room. Actually anytime anyone walked down the hall I could hear it. My neighbor above was up at 4:30 every morning. I know this because I could hear his feet hit the ground as soon as he rolled out of bed and it continued until either he or I left for the day. I won't even start on the neighbor's TV. The live entertainment Thursday thru Saturday is probably great if you are not staying there, but if your room faces the center area you will hear the music as if you are standing next to the stage. I was there for work and not a party so this was not pleasant. I even left my room one night so I could get rid of the headache I acquired from the banging drums (I wish I was exaggerating). Like I said, great if you are there to party. The music does stop by 10PM but whoever decides to linger and continue loudly doing whatever they want doesn't. Breakfast was included as part of my package. The positive- the food on the buffet was actually pretty good. The eggs weren't runny and the quality of everything else was pretty standard for a hotel. The negative- The buffet is very repetitive. Nothing much changes from day to day. If you want anything but the buffet you had better have some time on your hands. Although the service is friendly it is slow, like visiting the Caribbean islands on vacation slow. Overall if you stay here and don't want constant noise skip the water view and get one of the top floor rooms. It may be a bit quieter. If you want to stay somewhere nice, like a previous reviewer mentioned, stay at the other hotel nearby. It is a completely different experience.

    « Great Staff »

Really enjoyed my stay. The staff was always friendly and attentive. You can't beat the breakfast included in the room charge (optional). The martini bar wasn't cheap, at the same time it wasn't expensive. Centrally located with a wide variety of restaurants within walking distance. Beautiful view because you are located a stones throw away from the water. Would definitely stay there again should the circumstances arise.

« I have to say I never stayed there as I live not too far from there. »

But weekends they are fun to go to as they host waterfront bands and have a great outdoor and indoor venue from which you can enjoy the revelry. Good bar with nosh items too. And a dance space right in front of the band. Can also view from poolside or inlet side ...beautiful light by setting sun or starlight over the water.

    « Great Family Stay »

Great place for families - courtyard grass, beach, walks, bikes, firepit, indoor pool overlooking bay and great, affordable buffet breakfast. Staff is friendly and helpful. Lobby is very nice. There is even church available.

    « Good job! »

View from the hotel is incredible, staff is friendly, hot tub is perfect, pool is the best! Breakfast is marginal.... IHOP is across the street so you can get pancakes. Live entertainment was so very good!!

    « View But At A Cost »

Rude staff. Dingy old rooms, definitely needs updating. No shuttle service in town, only to airport. Says best breakfast in town but at the cost of $7.95, you can stay next door and get a better one for free plus cocktails at night.

    « Our 50th Wedding Anniversary »

We came to the hotel on this trip to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. We had a wonderful time. We enjoyed our meals both in the restaurant and at the breakfast buffet. We took in the Kitsap County Fair which was close by and also spent time in Poulsbo. Our family came up and joined us and we all enjoyed our time in Kitsap County.

« You need to stay there! »

We were looking for a little getaway for a few days and found this hotel. A short ferry ride and drive from Seattle is Silverdale. The hotel is right on the bay and every balcony has a water view. A buffet breakfast in the morning started the day, and a glass of wine at the seaside patio ended it perfectly! There are plenty of restaurants and shopping within walking distance. If you need a Starbucks in the morning, it is right across the street. We will definitely be back!

« Great place to stop between Portland and Port Angeles »

My wife and I spent the night here on a drive up to Port Angeles to take the ferry to Victoria. Beautiful setting at northern point of Dyes Inlet. Walking trail around inlet with access to wooded trail along Clear Creek is an added bonus. Rooms are clean and quiet. Staff courteous and efficient. Easy walk to nearby restaurants. Restaurant and lounge with happy hour on premises.

The staff here were super friendly, always able to answer my questions. Very kind and understanding when I locked my self out of my room. Honestly one of the best experiences I've had at a hotel. They even were able to work with my group and me about setting up a small place for us to play games and nerd out for a bit. Super fantastic group of people there.

very nice hotel all around, the view of the beach was wonderful, the staff was very nice, and took care of any problems we had, there was a couple of things that they could work on, but I was very pleased with the whole experience, the breakfast was good, but not a whole lot of food to choose from

From check in through check out, the employees were kind and professional. Nice to be greeted with a smile. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise, not just the plain old cereal and toast. Good quality hot food... nice way to start my day.

    « Unexpected fun! »

After a last minute booking for a quick get away this stay turned out to be more than what we expected. While the hotel does need some updating as others have mentioned we spent our time enjoying the live music and fire pit during our overnight stay. The food was decent for the price & we had great service the whole time we were there. The BEST part was the outdoor entertaining space with the live music! It was a special evening and perfect get away. I was disappointed that our room with a view was overlooking a roof but honestly we spent very little time in the room so it wasn't a big deal.

    « Not Impressed »

I was not impressed with this hotel during my stay last week (4 nights). I'd like to leave this hotel a good review - well - nah - really I wouldn't. There were just too many issues during my stay... To be fair - there were both good and bad things about this hotel so I'll outline both. Let's start with the positives - 1-The location is excellent - it is nearby to a ton of shopping and food in Silverdale so you can pretty much walk to anything you need once you have arrived. It is also close to the Navy bases in the area both Kitsap and Key port. 2-There are beautiful water views from many of the hotel rooms and a nice outdoor patio area area that was heavenly during our stay in mid-August. 3-The breakfast buffet is actually pretty fantastic. It is stocked with healthy and non-healthy items for whatever you are looking for and has a lot of options for only $5 you can't beat it. 4-While some of the front desk staff were a bit testy at times - most of the gals working behind the counter were very friendly and tried to correct any issues we had as soon as they were aware of them. 5-Plenty of parking is available in front of the hotel so parking was never an issue. The negatives - 1-My room was the "nicest" suite in the hotel - it was a large spacious room with a king bed, fireplace, water view, and seating area with a couch. The problem was it is directly across from the elevator on each of the three floors, and has the ice machine/snack room on the same wall as the bed. Who does that? That is a terrible layout for the nicest suite you have.... we asked to be moved it was LOUD in the 5 minutes we were there. 2-We were moved to a queen room down the hall - SMALL bathroom and parking lot view but it was quiet at least. 3-On day 2 of 4 we were moved to a larger water view king room - much nicer than room #2 but the AC didn't work. We were given a fan for the room and told the AC is old and needs repair. It worked fine in our second room for first two nights.... 4-Updates - the hotel in general looks a bit worn down and in need of a major renovation - paint, updates to fixtures, small things that could add up. Staff were hit or miss - the gal who checked me in the first night was friendly in a clipped manner but as soon as I indicated a need for another room she went frigid. I was polite with her but explained I wouldn't be able to sleep with all the noise in that room. She is also the gal we spoke to two days later about the AC and she seemed to take it personally and got defensive - which was weird. I imagine people complain a lot and after a while you are tired of hearing it. But the management/owners need to invest in updates and modernization here as a problem solver. I was really excited about the room and check-in during this trip as I thought I had found a real gem - but I was very disappointed as the rooms did not match up to the website which does an excellent job at showing the rooms, lobby and rest of the hotel in a great light. The third and final room we stayed in was nice and I would've been perfectly happy with it overall except for the AC not working.

    « 1950's era hotel »

Old style property with need for serious upgrades. This property is lacking in most customer amenitites which are predominate with other property chain hotels. Needs to be better managed and upgraded to current standards.

« Great location and room quality »

Room was clean and nice, near the water and King bed was nice. Air Conditioning was not functioning properly hotel-wide (front desk rep said something about a bad compressor), so they moved us to a ground floor room to make it slightly cooler, but it still took until 11 PM for the room to cool enough down to sleep. Dinner restaurant menu was NOT like the menu the hotel has on their website, which was disappointing, they really need to update that.

    « Excellent »

Best hotel in the area! Once again...VERY pleased and happy! Staff was professional and very friendly/accommodating. 3 family's stayed at the hotel for a local wedding...hoping another wedding will be in our near future, so we can all come back!

    « Nice hotel »

Good hotel , but small rooms. The location was convenient for us, and the hotel had a good breakfast. We enjoyed the patio bar (which has bar food) and the entertainment.(country) Not a bad price for the stay with a nice view of the bay. Walking path that goes for 12 miles. Bikes are available and you are close to town. Lots of places to eat near by. All-in-all, a good experience.

    « Very Welcoming »

We decided to visit the Olympic Peninsula of Washington state. This hotel is in a lovely setting with a view of the water. Staff members were great...from check-in to check-out. Breakfast was a fantastic buffet.

« Small Rooms & Mediocre Water View »

I went here for a quick getaway with my husband and son. I chose this hotel based on the hotel photos of the water view and the nice pool area. I should have looked at reviewer photos as well. As we drove up we could see that the hotel looked dated. The lobby interior was nice however, as was the patio area outside, complete with two bicycles for guest use. The tide was out until mid-evening, so the full water view was not worth paying extra for. We saw mostly rocky beach with a little bit of mucky water and the same thing in the morning. The room was tiny, though the bathroom area was larger than some Best Westerns. We had a room with two queens. There was no seating on the balcony, so we moved the extra chair from inside to the balcony since there was no space for it in the room anyway. The pool and hot tub were nice, however the showers were located down the stairs and across the basement, which was very inconvenient. I can't imagine that many people actually shower before they get in the pool. I am used to breakfast being an amenity at Best Western Plus properties, but it is not the case here. If you want breakfast, you'll have to pay $7 a person for the buffet, or $5 if you pre-pay the night before. It's not a lot, but still not something I'm not used to paying extra for. We chose to skip the breakfast buffet. Overall, the $144 we wound up paying seemed like a lot, given the location and lack of free breakfast. I have no complaints about the front desk service.

    « Confusion & Noise! »

Confused front desk staff! Took 45 minutes to get into our rooms after they asked us to wait over 3 hours for cleaned rooms! Very noise bar with drunks that kept us up all night. They are better hotels in this area to choose from!

    « very nice view »

This was a very nice hotel. the king room was a little small but the view and being right on the water was very nice. The music on the weekends was close to our room and loud but it only went to 10 pm so that was ok.

    « Near perfect stay »

Excellent stay at waterfront hotel with a reasonable price. Adjacent park is a good place for a walk. Fitness center has view of inlet. Only complaint was maids rapping on door twice in spite of quiet sign on door.

    « Beyond my expectations! »

The staff, all of the staff went above and beyond my expectations! They were courteous, kind, and generous. My children tried very hard to make it a difficult trip. Time and time again the staff went out of their way to change that direction. The views from the room were gorgeous!

    « Good value »

Solid stay for mid-priced hotel. Pros: Rooms pleasant and clean, breakfast slightly better than similar hotels, friendly staff, reliable wifi signal. Cons: Hear doors, showers, etc. from nearby rooms, especially from above. Not a reason to stay or not but hallways are very odd, must have had water damage and re-carpeted but didn't replace warped underlayment.

    « 5/10 - Don't ever plan on staying again »

This place is good, as long as you don't actually plan on getting a good nights sleep... Pros: - Booking was a breeze. So was changing my room type and request an early check-in. - The front desk staff were some of the best I've encountered. They always answered my calls and my questions with warm greetings. When I requested an early check-in, they were able to accommodate me and my room was ready three hours earlier than check-in time. - The accommodations were decent. The pool and hot tub were nice. The restaurant had decent food, live music, chatty patrons that were friendly, and the staff was attentive and lively. - The location is smack dab in the middle of anything you need. - The room were clean and at a comfortable temperature upon arrival. No funky smells. I recommend getting a room with a balcony because the view in the morning looking out at the bay is nice to wake up to. - Breakfast buffet is cheap and offers a lot of options for food. Cons - I came during Whaling Days and the hotel was open for people to come watch the fireworks. However, the parking lot was open to non-guests of the hotel. Parking for hotel guests was scarce the evening of the fireworks. - Breakfast buffet is inconsistent. One morning the food is bland and cold. The next its hot and salty. Pick one chef. - Pillows were a joke. They were small and uncomfortable. Bring your own. - Beds didn't have an actual comforter on them. - Heat didn't work so if you like to sleep in a warm room, or a room warmer than 68 degrees at night, forget about it. You'll freeze; especially since there isn't a comforter. - The building is old and noisy. The second floor especially. This is my biggest complaint and the reason why I wouldn't return. I'm not a light sleeper or easily irritated by noise; I live in the city, in an apartment and have to deal with freight trains and ambulances wailing all hours of the day and night. However I got some of the worst sleep of my life in this hotel. You can hear every single door open/close. Correction: You can hear every door slam. Showers/baths running in the room next door. The live music outside. Items dropping on the floor or kids jumping off the bed upstairs. None of this would be a problem if there was some kind of sound dampener between the walls and floors. This building was worse than a dorm. I wasn't able to get to sleep until after 2am on both Friday and Saturday nights. I was awake at 6am because the people upstairs were awake stomping like a step team. I really want to give this place a better review but my tired eyes headache refuse to do such a thing. Renovate this hotel and get a better chef and I'll consider giving this hotel my money again.

« Lives up to the "PLUS" status »

This is one the best Best Western Plus hotels that I have stayed at. Very attentive staff, Fantastic breakfast- well worth the $5.00 I had to pay- maybe because I had a special rate. Beds and Pillows are very comfortable- The surroundings are beautiful. I highly recommend this hotel.

    « Stay somewhere else!!!! »

The tub drain was draining very slowly. At one point, I had black stuff coming up from the drain during my shower. Gross. How does the cleaning staff notice during their cleaning that the tub is not draining (they must notice, right?) - and then not call in a repair order. Abysmal. Bed too soft; pillows too thick = little sleep. Property is run down and dirty.

    « Good value »

The check-in process was great. Our room was comfortable and clean. We had a Partial ocean view. The beds were comfortable. The morning breakfast buffet was an excellent value and great tasting. We used the indoor pool both days we were there. Very comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. We would certainly stay here again when we are going to Poulsbo. We love to stay at this hotel and then go to Kitsap Mosaics during the day in Poulsbo a few miles away and make something fun, then go back to the hotel and swim at night. A great girls get away!

    « Reliable comfort zone »

We usually take the Kitsap Airport service to and from this hotel. It's a comfortable place to spend the night before returning to our home on the North Olympic Peninsula. I called before my evening departure from the East Coast to reconfirm and tell them my expected arrival time was after midnight and my king size bed room was a welcome sight when I checked in exhausted after a 1 1/2 hour ride from the airport.

    « Annual Golf Trip »

A dozen of us have been coming down in early June for about 8 years in a row to this hotel. We play golf in the surrounding area--excellent courses including Gold Mountain, a US Open(or maybe PGA) qualifying course. The hotel is good basic value, rooms are clean and well maintained.I usually get a water view room,I am not sure how much of a premium that is but I like the outlook.Breakfast is usually included but this year was buffet and not great. The usual scrambled eggs under glass with so so sausages and ok bacon.Staff are friendly and helpful. The bar looks like a room that had no use and some one said...hey! lets call it the bar! Nice outside patio/firepit but early June is a little chilly near the beach.Decent pool and jacuzzi--always welcome for old golfers. We will return again next year.

« Great full service hotel »

« One of my favorite hotels »

Customer service has improved by 100 percent since our 2015 visit. We felt very welcomed from the minute we walked inside. The breakfast buffet was really good for the price and important to me since I cannot do the continental breakfast that most motels offer. The location is great and within walking distance to a number of restaurants, the mall, and movie theater.

« Loved this hotel! Excellent price for accommodations »

This motel and the front desk staff were some of the best I've encountered. The lobby and grounds are immaculate. The rooms are nice. I consider myself a hotel snob and I don't think for the price this motel can get any better. We had a six-night stay, as we'd come to visit my son who lives in Seattle, arriving 12 hours late for the first night, but staff was super accommodating. I saw a lot about the breakfast in the reviews, and I have to say IF there was any disappointment, it could be in the breakfast. I have had the same breakfast at other Best Westerns for free....there was just a much larger selection (waffles, eggs, bacon, etc.) You buy a voucher for the days you want breakfast in advance for $5 per person. Don't get me wrong, it's a good price if you were to go out to eat....just know that it's the same as you get for free at other BWs. But the lounge, pool, grounds with Dyes Inlet all make up for anything that is lacking. We only had time for one evening by the Inlet to watch the tide come in, but it was so peaceful and beautiful. This was our fault for not being aware of the area, but when mapping the distance between our son who lives in the heart of Seattle and the motel, we initially were under the impression there was only 17 miles between us. If you make that same mistake, just know that's as the crow flies. It's a ferry ride across the Sound (we don't have those in Wyoming) or a 70-mile trip down and around. Ferry rides are free to Seattle for foot passengers (I think it was $18 for our truck one way) but you will have to pay for the ride back. The cost by foot was approx. $24 for four individuals (one senior, one adult, two children 18 & under). Ferry rides being new to us, we enjoyed the experience! It was just not an expected expense. I think with daily ferry rides and cost of motel, it still put you at less than what it would cost you to stay downtown, plus you get to see the views traveling by ferry, including one day that was clear enough to see Mt. Rainier. There's either a 15-minute drive from the motel to Bremerton with an hour-long ferry ride; or you can travel by car a bit further to Bainbridge Island (30 minutes) and take a 30-minute ferry ride. Both take you to the same terminal. It was super easy to maneuver...even for "hicks" like ourselves! Plus, the front desk (Cassandra) was very helpful with any questions we had about how to get around and activities and sights in the area. Our room also had a very nice view of the inlet. Overall, we LOVED our time in Washington, much of it due to our stay at this motel!

« Great view, great service and convenient location »

This was my first time to stay at this location. I was very pleased with the hotel. I had a view room and the view of the water was great. Saw about 20 different fireworks shows around the area from the one location. Rooms were clean, amenities were great, but the most memorable was the staff. One of the most friendly and accommodating staffs I've encountered.

« Busy and Large Hotel, but not Great »

We were "upgraded" to a water-view room on the 2nd floor. It was a little disconcerting walking to our room as the flooring and thin carpeting seemed to flex under our feet and was not the typical commercial flooring. Our room was large and well laid-out, with plenty of wall outlets and even a couple USB ports for plugging in devices. Our water view was not very impressive as we weren't up high and we basically looked out on a flat roof and the back courtyard of the hotel. A wedding or rehearsal dinner was going on but, thankfully, their noise died-down about 9:30 PM. The hotel was very busy on this July weekend with the wedding party and a Little League tournament. I was a little taken-back that we paid well over $100 for our room and breakfast was not included. You could buy the morning breakfast buffet for $5 each (in advance) or $7.95 for walk-ups. The plumbing and furnishings worked well, the TV was about 36" (larger than normal), and the bed was comfortable. The hotel has a large pool in a basement atrium area, with a couple hot tubs and even a sauna. Parking around the hotel is plentiful although the luggage carts are a tight fit in the elevators. The front staff was courteous and professional, although weren't very helpful about outside dining suggestions (other than eating at the hotel's restaurant).

    5
« Worst room in a beatifull place »

Having a room with a balcony and lake view in a really nice location sounds good. Not much if you consider that on the balcony you can only stand (too narrow to fit a chair) and on the first floor above the pool your view of the idilic lake is largely obstructed and if you add all the noise and smells coming from the kitchen ventilation (in front of the window). The night was even worse, as the fans keep running loud all night long and although the bed was comfortable could not sleep more than a few hours that night.

« Nice place for a weekend getaway, polite staff, good breakfast »

Excellent buffet breakfast spread; price is ~$5 per person if you book on the previous day, or ~$8 per person if you book in the morning. Dinner their in house restaurant was decent. The free wifi is fast, no glitches while live streaming the Euro 2016 soccer games :) We stayed in a King bed water view room and really enjoyed the calm, soothing view of the water from the room and the balcony. Our room 334 faced the common area where there was a reunion that started in the evening and seemed to go on till pretty late at night; it was pretty full, but the murmur of conversations we could hear with the balcony door closed was not disturbing to us. There is a Safeway and lots of eateries right around the corner

    « Doesn't Disappoint »

I've been staying at BW Silverdale off & on for the last two years and each time I have stayed there for a weekend getaway, they have never disappointed my guests and I. The staff is always very friendly & helpful and the lounge has some great food & drink to go with the music. The rooms have always been clean and well taken care of. They take their policy of no smoking very seriously and the rooms have never had a smoky smell. If you're looking for a nice waterfront view to enjoy dinner with your guest on a nice summer's evening I would recommend this hotel. Or if you're looking to relax with a sauna, hot tub or pool, it is open year round.

« Friendly, convenient, comfortable stay »

The staff at the Best Western Plus is more that enough to make up for the age of the hotel. They have an excellent buffet breakfast at a very reasonable price. Don't let the buffet breakfast being not included with the hotel stay be a reason not to book here. The cost of the night stay is cheaper without adding it in. They could easily charge $50 more a night and include it, but they give you an opportunity to go somewhere else if you want by keeping the stay price low. If you want the breakfast, it is very reasonable ($5/person). I would highly recommend staying at the Best Western Plus. It is close and convenient to everything in the area. The only thing I might suggest is a shuttle service to the Ferry.

Your Bar was not open when all signs stated HOURS OPEN until 10:00.. This was very embarrassing to me. I read in the elevator and on other places in the lobby it would be open so invited friends back to the hotel for a after dinner drink, and found it closed.

Very nice location.. This will be my hotel of choice in the area going forward. Professional, friendly and helpful staff. Rooms very clean and comfortable. Great value for the price. Plenty of restaurants and fast food joints within 1/4 mile. The hotel is right on the waterfront, which is very charming. Welcoming lobby with a large seating area. Lounge on-site is a nice touch as well. To top it all off, the drive up from SeaTac Int'l is very pleasant! Well worth an hour's drive into and out of the Seattle/Tacoma area!

Wonderful location. It feels like vacation cabin with a big city in your backyard. Everything is so close but when I look out at the bay, I am on vacation. They even had a bonfire right outside the bar to relax.

    « It's A Keeper! »

This was a quick one night stay in the Poulsbo/Silverdale area for my daughter and I. I have lots of great things to say about this hotel but one small complaint. The room was hot all night and we were never able to adjust the temperature with the control box on the wall. We each got up several times to see if we could cool down the room but we were never able to unless we opened the balcony door and we didn't want to sleep with the balcony door open. The front desk help was very courteous. The room was clean, a nice roomy size with beautiful decor. There was a memory foam bed that was extremely comfortable and an arrangement of pillows from firm to soft. There was a coffee pot, microwave and refrigerator in our room along with a large flat screen television with Direct TV. The bathroom had extra towels along with soap and lotion dispensers. The room had a deck to look out over the water which was very nice. The night we were there they had live music which was very nice, it had been raining so they moved it indoors but on a warm sunny day it would be nice to enjoy the music from the comfort of your room or balcony. On arrival they tell you about their breakfast buffet that is $5 at check in or $7.95 at the door. It was well worth the $5! The food was delicious and hot. The breakfast room staff were friendly and very attentive to your needs. Here is just a small sampling of what they had to offer: dry cereal, oatmeal with lots of toppings, waffles with two types of berries and whip cream or syrup and peanut butter if you are like our family. Scrambled eggs with cheese, slices of ham, polska kielbasa with peppers and onions, french toast, hash brown potatoes, biscuits and gravy, toast, bagels, english muffins, danishes, 4 types of juice, 2% milk, fat free milk, almond milk, coffee, tea and water. And every bit of it was delicious!! For activities; the hotel has an exercise room, a sauna, hot tub, very large swimming pool with a view of the water, and a couple of bicycles that you can borrow. I will be making a few more trips to this area over the summer and will possibly stay here again.

the Silverdale Beach Hotel in in a perfect location for traveling near Bremerton. It has many walking trails around the area, plus a good selection of restaurants. The rooms were clean, and the staff very pleasant to work with. I will recommend it to friends and family.

a good location if you want to escape the overecrowded scenery of hotels in south seattle next to SEATEC and Highway 5 or 405. a good value, not overpriced, friendly an kind staff. quiet located. shops and restaurants nearby.

« great staff, great view »

My husband and I were able to unwind in a lovely room with a great view of the water. We watched the tide come in (complete with wading birds) from both our room and the lounge. We enjoyed a walk on the beach and even stuck my toes in the water. We will come back again.

    « We came back »

Love this hotel. It gets better and better. It has a great breakfast buffet but it is not gratis as most hotels these days. We paid anyway and had a good breakfast. The room was very clean and comfortable, even the pillows. I had a great night sleep. I like that they keep cold water and coffee available 24/7. They have removed the espresso bar since my last visit but there is a Starbucks very close and many, many restaurants in the area. It is very near a large shopping mall also.

« Watch your bill closely »

The rooms were nice but, too expensive. Then on top of that they charged my credit card for breakfast, even though I paid cash for vouchers at check in. I didn't notice this at check out, and now it's a giant hassle to try and get a refund.

    « Annual golf trip »

Stayed here with a group of golfers about 8 years in a row.Decent mid quality hotel in a good waterfront location.Rooms are well kept and clean. This year breakfast was buffet style and very average. We always have dinner off premise-the Yacht Broiler bar is about a 700 yard walk around the point.Decent meals mid price point.Hotel is central to the 5 golf courses we play.

    « Nice View »

I have stayed and completed business trade shows at this hotel many times over the past 20 years. I had not been here for about 8 years prior to this trip. The hotel rooms now seem a little small, without seating other than a desk chair small side chair and the bed. I miss a couch. TV was fine, I did have problems with the Wi Fi, and staff were quick to offer assistance. Breakfast IS NOT INCLUDED as it is in many BW facilities and will set you back about $8 per person for the buffet. I still like the waterfront location as well as convenience to the mall etc. I did think the rates were a little high for the room amenities.

    « Great »

This was a great example of "Best Western Plus" quality. The staff was great. They had my reservation. they immediately recognized my name and my rewards membership status. This is a vacation area during vacation season. But, the price was still very reasonable (everything considered). Breakfast was not free, but it was a good value. The wifi service was trouble free. Everything about the location was clean, comfortable and exactly what I wanted and expected.

« Great Place to Stay »

Even though this is not a new building, it is well taken care of, clean, and the atmosphere was pleasant. We were welcomed by two friendly ladies at the counter and directed to our third floor room. As soon at my brother and sister-in-law opened their room door, I could hear an exclamation of delight. They, as we were, quite pleased to have a pretty room with a full view of Dyes Inlet. It was a calming and peaceful two nights. Every time we exited the elevator, the ladies at the desk asked things were going and if we were doing something special. When we went back to the elevators, the ladies asked either if we enjoyed breakfast or how we enjoyed the day. This was the friendliest hotel staff I have ever encountered. All four of us said that we would return to this hotel when we needed a break.

« Lying blue haired sass at front desk »

Yes, I'm disgruntled, as the title suggests. I booked an express deal, paying extra for a king, which they gave away within 90 minutes of booking! So the room type wasn't honored. I asked if they were going to do anything about the rate. Oh no, the front desk agent told me, "you didn't pay extra for a king; you paid extra for a water view." I know that's not true. I don't care about a view when I'm getting in at 9pm; I wanted us both to fit comfortably in the bed. Funny my receipt says King and nothing about view. But her omniscience will take her much further than her lack of professionalism.

« Great place and value »

The place was great they even let me bring my little dog but know that at this property you cant use your video game console on thier TV's to play or watch Netflix or Amazon prime so if you are wanting to do that or have kids that will want to play plan ahead or ask them to put another flat screen so you can use it just as a monitor

    « I love this hotel! »

I love that the hotel is right on the water and most rooms have a water view. There is an outdoor fire pit with trees in the surrounding area lit up with white lights and live music was playing when I was there on a Thursday night. They also have pet friendly rooms. It's a nice place to come "home to" when you're working in the area and a nice place to go when you want to get away for a weekend.

« Excellent choice in Silverdale »

Stayed here overnight and it could not have been more pleasant. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, and my room-which I was able to check in early for-was very clean and nicely sized. Also had a wonderful view of the water. I will be staying here again if business brings me back into the area.

    4
« Great for the Price »

Not a whole lot of good choices in the area. This is a decent hotel right on the water. Clean, nice friendly staff, fair price. While we didn't have our dog with us, they do allow in some rooms. Most Best Western's include breakfast but apparently since they have a full service restaurant (open only in AM...bar does offer food in eves) they do have a better selection, but they do charge $5 if you reserve the night before otherwise $7.99.

    5
    « Great value! »

Loved the access to the beach. I used the fitness room and hot tub, both of which were empty when I used them and both had great views of the water. Room was large, clean, and comfortable. New appointments.

    3
    « Small Rooms »

Both the main room and the bathroom were awkwardly small and poorly set up. The view from the room was nice; balcony quite small as well, with no furniture there to enjoy that view. The bed was the only saving grace to this room...it was the best bed I've ever slept in. Breakfast is not included in the charge; it is extra. Location of the motel is nice, and has easy access to the north and south areas of the peninsula; lots of restaurants and shopping close by

    « excellent stay »

We stayed while waiting for our new house to close and they treated us like family! They were nice and accommodating for us and our family's pet. A very pleasant experience. The location next the bay w's beautiful, and the nightly fires was cozy and comfortable. The sunrise from our room was awesome. The staff welcomed us every time we came back. Overall I would definitely come back.

« Scenic, Quiet, Clean and Comfortable »

The things you would hope to have and see are at this facility at a price most anyone could enjoy. The view is spectacular. The rooms are quiet, clean and with a beautiful flat screen TV. Easy access, great parking, helpful desk. Better than average breakfast choices with hot food, fruits, and variety of juices.

Room for improvement areas: reservations gave us two rooms far apart instead of adjoining; housekeeping was minimal service; breakfast.was lacking bacon, and sausage, just served some kind of warm ring bologna.

    « Lovely lake views »

My husband had stayed here before on a golf trip and had enjoyed it, so wanted to share it with me. We specifically booked a water view too only to be given a city view and to be told hotel was full. However, after insisting and showing our booking.com reservation, the receptionist managed to find us a water view room. She handled it all very well. The king room on third floor was well equipped and pleasant.

    3
    « Good Location »

The rooms here are smaller than other places, but nice. We arrived at 3 pm, but had to wait until 4 pm to check in. That isn't an unusual time, but there didn't seem to be many people waiting to check in on a Wednesday. The breakfast buffet isn't included at this Best Western, which is unusual. It costs $7.50 unless you pay $5 on the day you check in. The buffet is a little better than the average Best Western. We didn't request a room overlooking the water, so we got a parking lot view.

« Nice Stay for a quick trip »

    « Pet Friendly »

I've stayed at this hotel for a weekend with my children two times. The kids and I enjoyed the pet friendly atmosphere and the grounds were kept very clean. The pool was a bit larger than some other hotels we have visited and the beach was right there for the kids to enjoy.

    3
« average hotel that's overpriced for its quality. »

This is an older hotel that's showing its age. Its overpriced for the quality you receive. Its a pet friendly hotel and and at times it smells like a dog pound. the cable TV doesn't have all the channels listed. We were looking for HLN and it was listed but not there. One big plus was the indoor pool which we did enjoy.

« Great Hotel and Fantastic Grounds »

I found my stay at this hotel to be both relaxing and convenient for work. At night, on the back grounds, the employees built a fire in the fire pit and people sat around and talked and the whole thing just felt very homey. I would suggest this hotel for families, couples, and business travelers. Great experience.

« Best location in Silverdale area. »

Best Western Silverdale in located on a very nice piece of property at the top of Dyes Inlet. There are numerous restaurants close by to the hotel. We walked to the Yacht Club Broiler restaurant which we highly recommend. Unlike most other Best Western hotels, this one charges a fee for breakfast, but is offset by the very reasonable room rates. The breakfast is standard Best Western fare. I am of the opinion they do this since many guests hit one of the area restaurants for breakfast. We stayed in a standard size room with two queen beds. The room was very nicely appointed. The room was a bit small for us. One of our party was in a wheelchair, and there was not enough room for the chair to make it past the first bed and the furniture. I would suggest opting for one of the suites if you are travelling with a wheelchair, scooter or walker. There is a very nice grass lawn between the building and the waterfront which is great for family fun. There is also a large fire ring available. The indoor pool and hot tub was enjoyable, but is accessed via stairs. Those in a wheelchair need to ask the front desk to let them in via the locked doors to the patio area.

« Much More than Pleasant »

My husband and I have stayed at Best Westerns before but not at a Plus property and what a plus this was! Extremely pleasant, beautiful, setting and just an all around wonderful stay. The service was excellent, and the room was lovely. Water pressure for the shower was fabulous. The views spectacular. The only thing I would have enjoyed having that I didn't was a couple of chairs on the deck to sit outside on.

« Good value, Clean and helpful staff..On the water »

Very polite and accommodating staff at check in. Restaurant/Lounge was good and service excellent. Room was very nicely appointed and updated. Very small though. Clean and comfortable bed. Charge for breakfast $7.95 or if you pay at check in they offer it for $5.00..

    « Very nice »

Very nice hotel with excellent customer service. Hotel is older but the rooms are outstanding and very clean. Don't be fooled by the beach, its not sand but small rock like drive way gravel. Several nice walking paths. Best western is my hotel of choice for price and comfort. This hotel is price fairly at $129. If your ever in Silver Lake and want a clean comfortable place to stay, this is it.

    « Very nice Hotel »

The entire staff was very friendly and welcoming. Our room was clean and comfortable. The staff also helped us with a few items we had forgotten to pack. The breakfast buffet was well worth the price! We had a beautiful view of the water and it was very relaxing.

    « Wow »

Honestly, I did not know what to expect coming to this hotel. This was my first time in the area and I was staying here for my SO's birthday so I was really worried coming in. That changed the moment I saw the hotel. The appearance of the hotel inside and out was spectacular (I really liked the set-up of the lobby) and we were greeted by the very kind and professional Arman and Cheyenne. They made sure we were taken care of, which I greatly appreciate. Would definitely recommend (especially for those couples looking for a getaway) and would definitely return for a second stay!

« Nice, clean and friendly staff! »

We decided to stay here based on a recommendation from a friend. Glad we did! Starbucks close by too! Wonderful experience no complaints! They had a bar open early with a live band, pool and hot tub were wonderful. The rooms were clean and in nice condition. The morning breakfast was great only wish they had bacon but otherwise no complaints.

« Great view location & convenient for restaurant options. »

The coffe in the room is terrible. ...breakfast is average...but the sea view is great!. Many restaurants around to choose from. Too pricy for what you get. Bed are comfy. The A/c is very noisy....people get drunk so you need to locked yourself in.

    « Highly Recommended »

The hotel is in a beautiful location on the water with several restaurants nearby. Poulsbo is only 20 minutes away. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Cash brewery is a simple walk mostly along a trail. That same walk goes to a park. They have a nice back porch - like atmosphere with a fire pit. My only complaint would be that the gym was small. If you're a member of the YMCA, there is one nearby. My colleagues enjoyed the sauna, jacuzzi, and pool. A lot of amenities. Breakfast is really good. They include the "small things" like 3 different papers available, water and coffee at the front, bottled water in the gym.

    5
    « Convenient, Comfortable, Scenic »

The hotel is easy to find from the highway, and close to restaurants and stores. There is a walking path around the hotel that goes along the beach, with a park bench for resting and viewing the inlet.

    « Always a pleasure »

I like this hotel and the caring can-do attitude of its staff. There are a lot of places to eat in the area within walking distance. The breakfast is excellent. The cost is $8 or you can prepay it added to your bill for $5.

« Great View of the Sound »

I have stayed in this Hotel many times growing up. Went back to visit family and took my family for the views and the pool. Everyone enjoyed every minute from swimming in the pool, walking on the beach and looking at what the tide left behind. The live music in the lounge on the weekend was quality and had a mix of music everyone could enjoy. Fire pit in the courtyard was inviting to many people of all ages.

    « Overnight Stay with 2 kids »

The hotel room was very nice and clean. The beds were comfortable and the room had a modern/ minimalistic style. We had a perfect view of the water. Unfortunately, their heater was not working when we got there. It's still chilly around March and it was 65F. We called the front desk and within 10 mins, someone came into our room. The maintenance guy fixed the heater but left his tools by the door and a puddle of water on the floor. I had to talk to the front desk again so they can clean it up and get the tools out our of our room. The front desk was apologetic but the maintenance guy who came back to pick up his stuff didn't care. Breakfast was not included, we had to pay extra. The breakfast buffet had a good selection and the dining area had a view of the water.

« Great view of lake, terrific sauna, adequate fitness center »

This hotel is a complicated jumble. It has strengths, but oddities too. Arriving on a gold day in November, I wanted to take a sauna. I dressed for the sauna, not realizing I'd have to walk through a long, frigid basement hallway to reach it. The sauna was beautifully hot, but there was no dressing room abutting it. Instead, there was a large room that apparently was once the fitness center but it now used for seminars. Imagine, walking out of the sauna into a seminar! Fortunately, when I was there, there instead were a dozen 10 year old boys practicing for a floor hockey match under the watchful eyes of their moms. Entertaining, but it didn't make for a quiet, relaxing sauna. And then, after the sauna came another lonesome frigid walk down that long frigid basement hallway. Apparently, the only way to get to the swimming pool is to walk through the same hallway, through the seminar room, and up an escalator. All quite odd, showing a failure to fully realign use of the space successfully. The fitness center was upstairs near the front desk with a nice view of the lake. Unfortunatley, it was small and there were no rules posted on use, so one person was able to monopolize the treadmill for well over an hour. having said that, the rooms were decent and the front desk staff was pleasant.

    3
« Great staff, paper thin walls. »

Staff were are great, very friendly especially Cora in the breakfast room. The issue with this hotel I believe is the age of it. The walls are paper thin. We could hear every toilet flush/shower taken in other rooms (water running in the pipes etc). We could also hear a cell phone buzzing in the room next to us on their night stand very early in the morning and it buzzed every 10-15 minutes all morning long starting at 4:30 AM (lots of texts or emails I guess).

Working for NAVFAC at Kitsap, stayed here before it was a Best Western property and is still a nice place to stay. Great Breakfast at a great price! « Nice place to stay »

Clean, comfortable, nice shower and the best breakfast buffet. $5 if you prepay for breakfast but it is well worth it. Cheesy scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, busquits, gravy, waffles (including blueberry batter). Good coffee, spacious dining area and a very friendly lady ensures your coffee us always full.

« good place to stay in Silverdale »

I am a fan of Best Western properties in general and we were very pleased with this property. It's waterfront location on Dyes Inlet is terrific. Our room was water view and we liked that but the seal had broken in the glass on the sliding doors and that was a distraction to say the least. The room was comfortable, particularly the bedding quality. The bathrooms are rather a tight fit but supplied with all one's needs. The swimming pool is large and well located as is the hot tub. The buffet breakfast is an extra, reasonable charge but well worth it. You can get drinks and some food in the rather plain lounge but too has a view. The service was exceptionally friendly from front desk to the bar and breakfast service. In the summer I think lounging on the lawn would be pleasant. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

    3
« Best Western Beach Hotel »

Beautiful View rooms if you're not next to the building ventilation system. Great amenities advertised, indoor pool or spa is great for families but not so much romantic getaways. Bikes and fires are advertised but only really available during summer. Beds were very comfortable, but shower didn't drain. Great value and staff is friendly, so overall it was a good stay and I'd stay there again.

    « Great experience »

The staff was very friendly and greeted us whenever we were in the lobby area and welcomed us back whenever we came in. At breakfast the servers were very courteous and helped with anything we needed. The lobby staff even gave me information for a shuttle to take us back to the airport on Easter. We checked out on Easter and the person at the front desk was very cheerful and saying Happy Easter. It made the trip very enjoyable, especially being away from home on a holiday.

« Nice view and decent mid-range property »

My nephew, my dog, and I took a road trip to the Kitsap Penninsula and decided to stay at this Best Western because of the view, which was really lovely. The room itself was a little strangely laid out because of its diagonal shape (desk crammed into a corner and no table and chairs), but it was nice enough. The balcony had no chairs on it either, but we made do. We lucked out with a beautiful day as well. Very dog friendly with a beach and lots of grass to walk around. Staff was excellent. A solid recommendation for the area.

« Great Place to Stay »

We visited family member in the area. Very satisfied with this hotel. Rooms were clean, we asked for room with view of the bay which was very nice and relaxing. All staff that we encountered were extremely friendly, respectful, and courteous. You have to pay for breakfast, but it was worth not having to leave the building early in the morning. There were several good places to eat within walking distance. Would definitely stay here again.

    « Excellent stay »

Originally stayed at the Oxford Suites for 9 nights due to the better reviews, after nearly three days without power moved to the Best Western for 3 nights. It was like light and day, just wish I had moved day one. The rooms were slightly smaller but every other aspect was much better, from staff at the desk to breakfast, beds, pool, bar, and the general feeling of comfort.

    2
« It's not expensive, and it shows »

Nice people and beautifully placed on the bay. Plenty of restaurants nearby. But the hotel rooms and conference facility needs work. In the rooms, the beds are outsized for the room leaving little space between bed and furniture. The bathrooms are also too small as you have to do dance with the toilet to shut the door. The conference facilities are substandard. They don't know how to space tables and the noise from the kitchen staff shouting and crashing equipment was a terrible distraction. I would not recommend any conferences at this hotel.

    « dissapointed »

i have stayed in this hotel at least once a year, i have enjoyed my stay the past few times but this most recent one was unimpressive, my door would not latch so no key card needed to get in the room just push it open, didnt want to leave my items in there but also didnt want to pack up everyday, i told the front desk and they said someone would be up to fix it, NEVER got fixed while i was there, the bathroom smelled very moldy, it had a huge square patch above the shower that was probably the source of the smell. when i go to a hotel it needs to be a home away from home, this did not fill that expectation. the floor didnt get vaccumed the whole 5 days i was there, not sure if the sheets were changed either,i did get clean towles though.

    « Great Customer Service »

Not only was the staff helpful they went above and beyond. Every March for the last 4 years, we travel to see my Neices skate in a roller derby tournament. They travel here from Colorado to participate. My kids and I meet them 2 hours from our home to spend the weekend cheering them on and spending quality time. We have stayed at the Best Western the last 3 years. The staff was very accomadating durning our stay, as always. They provided me with ice packs for me and bags for my daughters to collect treasures out by the bay. When my daughters came back in the lobby their bags ripped from their bounty, the hotel staff helped them pick it up and even gave them each a box to hold their stuff in so it would break again.

Love this place, it has greatly improved since becoming part of the Best Western franchise. I have stayed here many times, and have had nothing but a pleasant stay. It is also pet friendly which I will keep in mind for next time. Staff is great and welcoming, very quick check in. The rooms are wonderful, awesome laundry facility and swimming area. It was the perfect solution for the power outage that occurred from the recent wind storm. More Staycations to come!!!!

    « Modest Luxury »

This hotel is local to me but we had an emergency and had to evacuate our home. The hotel was packed because of a bad windstorm. I felt the employees took it all in stride as people arrived all at once. Our pet friendly room was a tad worn in places but very comfortable. Our kitty did NOT like the room. The beds were dreamy though! The shower hot with wall amenities rather than tiny bottles of stuff. Our view on the side was nice....even though the water was white capping....lol. I would actually stay here again just for fun! Considering our circumstances, it was a good stay. The staff comped us breakfast because of situation. It wasn't the best breakfast ever, but we were grateful just the same!

« Helpfull in time of need »

The power went out and my family and I needed a warm place to stay and quickly as it was after work and very cold outside. We had homework to finish and still needed to eat. I greatly appreciate that the staff went out of their way to help me get a room and even offered me a discount to help ease the discomfort of the situation my family and I was in. It was a very nice experience and a very smooth process, I needed power and internet as I had homework to finish and 3 small children who needed a warm place to stay. My check out was very quick and friendly as well. The only things that took from my comfort is that there wasn't warmer blankets and the beds were a little uncomfortable for my liking. (everyone is different though) Overall I had a great experience! Thank you!

My wife and I stayed here for approximately 7 days, while I was waiting to transfer from Bangor to Pearl Harbor. First off, the price is very right, especially for the location. Silverdale is where most of the mid-range eateries are. It is also very close to Bremerton (ferry to Seattle) and Poulsbo (quaint, ethnic-Norwegian town). The bed was firm and comfortable, with a wide array of pillows to use as desired. The TV is high quality and they have DVD players to borrow at the front desk. The swimming pool is large and warm and has good hours. They also have a hot tub right next to it, and a sauna down the hall. The site is always very clean and the staff very friendly. The only negative is that all the room doors seem to slam, so be careful with that. I would certainly stay here again.

    « Relaxing »

The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly. The buffet breakfast was affordable and lots of variety. The indoor pool was nice and warm. We got to the pool early and there were no towels. However, a staff member was easy to find and immediately put out towels. It was within walking distance to the water, restaurants and more. Great Trip!

Love the location and service! Room and view is perfect! Been here several times last year and I just love everything about it. Service was awesome and the room was clean and the bed,, pillows, and all the linens was very nice. The place was so quiet and very relaxing. We really had a comfortable stay.

« Nice Pacific Northwest Spot »

I've stayed at this hotel about 5 times now, It is an older hotel, but it has been well kept up and renovated. The best room that I stayed in is ground floor on the inner court yard. This room has a small patio, and a beautiful ocean view. It;s definitely worth the nominal upgrade charge to get the ocean view. Very comfortable. The bar has good food and live entertainment on weekends. I would stay here again, as this seems to be the top hotel in Silverdale.

    5
    « Good overnight stay »

We have stayed at this Hotel twice and the rates are very good. The pool, hot tub and sauna were very clean and all located on one floor/ The lounge always has entertainment-would ask for a room not directly over the lounge is you are a lite sleeper. Drinks and appetizers are good too. No complaints so far.

    « Really nice location »

We usually stay here for hockey tournaments and it's pretty nice. It's far from the rink (but I guess they sponsor the tourney) but it's got a pool, it's close to restaurants and Kitsap Mall, so apart from the drive to the games it's hard to fault. Ask for a first floor room....they open onto a lawn and the bay. It's very nice but more "waterfront" than beachfront as the shoreline is rocky. . Rooms are clean, nicely appointed and the place is affordable. I'd stay here even if I was not in town for a tournament.

    5
    « great location »

This is a great location if you are visiting the area. We had a water view with beautiful sunrise and sunset. Easy walking to large mall shopping and restaurants. Paved walking path along waterfront. Nice pool and spa. Close to cool museums like the Navy Underwater Warfare Museum. Poulsbo and Port Orchard are nice little towns close by with lots of antiques shops. There is a big casino nearby too.

The place is a gem. Fantastic view and staff. Far exceeded our expectations. The staff at this property are the real story. You get the sense that this staff really like their jobs. They are happy and make you feel right at home.

    « Party Guests »

My husband and I booked the Best Western as a weekend getaway with our two infant daughters. The hotel was clean with great rooms and comfy beds. The water view from the room is gorgeous. All and all our stay at the Best Western was made absolutely miserable when we were woken up at 2am by an extremely loud drunk party in the adjoining room. There were slamming doors, screaming, slamming on walls, and marijuana smoke in the halls! After a fight broke out and people were slammed against the walls, we complained and security did show up and ask if they were fighting and left, however the party continued for close to 2 hours. This was absolutely unacceptable to have near our two infants trying to sleep. We will not book this hotel again due to this horrific experience with our children. We were also extremely disappointed that the management staff did not apologize or compensate us for the disaster of a night we endured. It seems the locals in this area may use this hotel to hang out after the bars, super disappointing weekend for our family.

    « So Surprised »

I didn't even realize there was a beach front hotel in Silverdale. I couldn't have been more surprised and delighted. I stayed on the ground floor so I could walk right out of my room to the bay. Quiet, clean, refreshing.

« Everything you need to be comfortable »

...Especially if you live in the outlying areas of the Olympic Penisula and need to travel to Sea-Tac Airport. It's the perfect stop to / from the airport and a relatively easy drive to drop off and pick up passengers, or park your car when using the Kitsap Airport Transporter, which has regular hourly stops here. The staff is always very friendly and welcoming. The hotel often keeps a room open for late travelers who need to stay last minute. They have a very comfortable lobby, restaurant, lounge and coffee shop; and a beautiful beachfront location with a paved walkway along the water and into the adjacent park. It's also walking distance to shopping and restaurants. This hotel makes smart use of its advantages and does a great job of serving the traveller's needs. Great services, great staff, great location! Great hotel!

« My Stay at Best Western Plus »

I spent a couple of nights because of mouth surgery in Silverdale. The room was nicely decorated, very clean, and the bed was great. It was nice to have a restaurant/bar right inside the motel and I loved the nice walkway around the bay. The staff are very nice to work with and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable.

    « Comfy, convenient »

I admit to a certain prejudice toward Best Western. Every franchise I have experienced has been a good choice for cleanliness, comfort and helpful, friendly staff. This location does not disappoint. While in my case the convenience is tied to being minutes away from an early morning medical appt., it Is in fact convenient to shopping at the Kitsap Mall and other retail locations. I had dinner at the in hotel Martini Lounge. Though the menu is fairly limited, my wedge salad and chicken satay skewers were freshly prepared and tasty. There is a large indoor pool and an exercise room. Many of the rooms have a water view. Another plus is that it is a scheduled stop for the Airporter to SeaTac. There is a fairly reasonable daily rate for parking, but also the option of a park stay and ride rate. At the moment, one night at $125 allows two weeks of free parking. Shuttle runs hourly.

    « Anniversary Trip »

The staff went above and beyond for our trip. This was our first night in a year away from our three kids, it was also our anniversary. They made sure we were happy every step of the way, they sent Champagne to our room, and they even had live music in their bar every Fri and Sat. Amazing views and very comfy suites. Our Favorite restaurants is right across the parking lot. so made it easy to walk to.

    5
    « Great Breakfast »

Could not believe the quality of the included breakfast. This was a business trip I would stay here again. The fire outside was a nice touch, I hope they keep it up. Next time I will try the pool. THE lounge was too bright. Taxis in this town take a long time.

« Great location, comfortable hotel »

Our hockey team was looking for a hotel in the area for a tournament. This was a great option. There is a large lobby for guest to relax, a play room in the basement for the boys to hangout. Something for everyone.

    « Best Western Silverdale »

very friendly helpful staff, very clean. The hotel is close to the water so you can request a room with a view would be well worth it. Pool was great and looks out to the bay area. Shopping is close by. Martini Bar was fun (music a bit too loud)

« Nice view of the bay »

I stayed at his hotel several times during the Spring and Summer of 2015. It was a nice getaway for the weekend. I went to see Hurricane Ridge a couple of times during these trips, and did some shopping in nearby towns. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. The room was comfortable. There is a restaurant/bar in the Hotel that has good food and drinks. I will go back again.

« Great Place to stay in the Great Northwest. »

We made this our home base in our visit to this area of the Northwest. It is centralized for day trips to all the great things to see and visit in this area. Port Townsend, Port Ludlow, Sequim, Port Angeles, Port Gamble were all very unique and interesting.. The Yacht Club Broiler across the Bay is also an AWESOME place for Dinner.... Clean rooms, friendly staff is all one is really looking for in today's travel.

« Beware it could be you »

We booked this hotel for 3 days during Christmas time. We asked for a king bed room with a bay view. The hotel decor appeared to be updated so despite the minimal 15" clearance from the dresser to the foot of the bed and the view included the roof of the first floor restaurant below we thought it would do since most of our days would be shared with family. We turned on the heater to take the chill off the room before leaving to visit family. It was a bit loud but we figured it would not be on much so off we went. During the night the heater turned on and off continually first with a magnetic switch sound which replicated the door being opened and then the loud heater. When the heater turned off there was a hum from the vents on the roof of the restaurant outside our door. By 2am I decided I would take a shower to relax and hopefully go to sleep- no shower gel. The next day the staff, who were very kind, tried to move us to a better room, a choice between 2 suites. The first was nicely appointed but adjacent to the ice and Coke machine the second a corner small"suite" on the first floor. We wanted to leave and find another hotel but because we booked through TA we were not assured we would get our money back. The second room was our best option. The heater did not have the initial switch sound but was equally inefficient 4 hours to gain 10 degrees. The fireplace in our room did not work and when the maintenance person bypassed the wall switch you could smell gas in the room. The general manager just sent me an email admitting that the heating system will need to be worked on. No thanks! The nice entry to the hotel and nice staff can not make up for a restful night sleep in a well operated hotel. Trip Advisor needs to be able to undo these disasters at the time they occur.

« Average Best Western with a view »

Nice clean room with a waterview & the bar has live entertainment @ night. I give it 3* due to the noisy hall room doors slamming, we heard the conversations & heavy feet in the room above us, our room door lock didn't work, and they have no complimentary breakfast. We probably won't return to this location...

    « Friendly Staff »

We were most impressed with the staff. The group at the front desk and members of the housekeeping crew went out of their way to make our stay more enjoyable. The room was clean and comfortable. Would stay here again if I'm back in the area.

    « Very nice stay. »

The hotel is pretty, clean and comfortable. The staff are very nice and helpful. They had a little red tent in the lobby and a Santa Claus for kids to take pictures with; An extra that was very nice and welcoming. I had a room with a water view and there were white lights on the trees outside. I really liked that. Peaceful and beautiful.

« Pet and people friendly »

Who in their right mind would put a Best Western on such a beautiful beach? What a view! We had a ground floor room with French doors that opened on to a beautiful lawn and the beach, the Bichons loved it! Service was friendly, fast and made you feel like family. Totally recommend this place... Only $20 per night for pets, the Oxford Suites wanted $25 per pet per night... and they are right next to each other... Easy choice on where to stay in Silverdale.

« Nice place but needs a touch of home. »

Bar/lounge needs to open erlier and stay open later. A lot of travelers who are here for the shipyard work late shifts. I was only able to enjoy the complementary drink once and then it closed immediately after. (bartender might have earned more tips /revenue) Also if the bar/lounge could use a homier atmosphere with lounge type seating i.e sofas, pillows, coffee tables, club seating w/ gaming table; and less stowic table- chair dining. You have nice fireplace that could be utilized with this type of seating. Families may even enjoy during the day offer a soda/ juice bar for other choices. People have a hard time findng things to do during the day in Silverdale. Staying home (in the hotel) on a rainy day playing board games with a hot drink sounds good to almost anyone.. Thanks for the time. T.A.S.

« Charming hotel in a convenient location »

My husband, mother-in-law, and I recently stayed here during a trip to check out real estate in the area. We were greeted with a smile at check-in, the cleaning staff were friendly, and the front-desk staff were very pleasant. The hotel's location was excellent (right on the water) and the hotel itself was clean and in good condition. Free parking and wi-fi were included with our room. Weekly hotel events were a fun suprise to our stay. We checked out the live music playing in the lounge, and it was surprisingly good. My only disappointment was that breakfast was not included, which led to a small mishap (although it was later cleared-up by the onsite manager). The person that checked us in told me that it would be included so the three of us had oatmeal for breakfast (options were limited). After finishing our oatmeal, I was asked to pay for it by the dining room staff- to which I told them I was under the impression that it was part of our reservation. I ended up being directed to the front desk, where I discussed the issue with managment. They were sorry I was misinformed and we ended up not paying for it. Although I felt that the dining staff did not handle the situation in the best manner, the on-site mangager was extremely nice and I was satisfied with the resolution. I would definitely stay here again, but don't recommend the breakfast!

This is a good location about 3 miles drive to where i need to work. Clean rooms. There are a lot of restaurant in the area you don't even need to drive, they're within walking distance. And if you get bored there is a park you can walk to and enjoy.

    « Power Outage Stay »

Our power was out for a couple of days, so we drove 16 miles to this hotel. It is like our 2nd home (due to numerous outages and it's a nice getaway). We go there often to enjoy the waterfront views and the local musicians that play in the Martini Lounge. Most of the staff know us and are super friendly and courteous. They have a very nice breakfast buffet and the hamburgers and jalepeno poppers are pretty good too.

« BW Silverdale Beach hotel »

A good get away from it all hotel with a nice sea view, helpful employees, indoor pool and better than average breakfast. However it was full of families with kids on the weekend which made it difficult to find a free table at breakfast time and kept the pool full.

« Group stay at BW Silverdale »

Stayed with our hockey team for a tournament. Best Western was great with the whole group, no complaints. Rooms were clean, location was good, lots of free parking. Used breakfast room a couple of times, average breakfast including make your own waffles, eggs, sausage or bacon depending on the day, fruit (apples, oranges, bananas), oatmeal, muffins, coffee/juice. Lobby had two fireplaces with seating around them so there were places for socializing if you are in a group. Good size indoor pool with view out to the ocean which the kids enjoyed. Not far from the mall and close enough to walk to various restaurants.

A one time resident of the area....I can attest to the central local, ease of access, cleanliness, and courtesy you will find at this well appointed Hotel...Staff are friendly, and efficient. I chose to upgrade during my stay to spend our last day in Silverdale with best view...The staff made that change for us hassle free. *We found better breakfast options across the street at IHOP.

    « Best Hotel »

This was our second stay at the hotel and will come again. We even had our two little dogs and the hotel is definitely pet friendly. The view is absolutely beautiful from our room and it was easily accessible. The Hotel is close to all kinds of stores and restaurants. Such a warm friendly feeling when I walked into the lobby. Fireplace going with comfortable furniture and friendly employees.

    « A nice step above basic »

You get the cleanliness, friendly staff and room amenities of the near-$200 hotel at a price just above the rough-bath-towel, no fridge/microwave hotels, but miss the complimentary hot breakfast. A good mid-range experience close to where you want to be.

« Adequate for just a short stay »

We stayed one night before moving on to another location. This is a no frill budget kinda of stay. Room rate does not come with breakfast. This hotel met our needs to recover from jetlag after 24 long haul flight. Sharis' diner (24hr) is within walking distance if you do not want to drive. Otherwise, plenty of other choices available in silverdale near kitsap mall if you plan to drive.

    « Poor service »

My wife recently stayed at your facility. She set the thermostat for 65 degrees. The whole night the room stayed at a sweltering 76 degrees. My wife continually awakened in a pool of sweat. The next morning when she went to shower there was only cold water. My wife has fibromyalgia so the cold water made her body hurt even more. The reason we rent a hotel room is for a comfortable place to sleep and a warm shower. Neither of our expectations were met. She could not imagine paying for another miserable night like the one she had at your facility. Next time she needs to stay in Silverdale she will consider sleeping in her car. All the girl at the front desk upon her check out could say was "sorry." She does want to let you know that the young man that checked her in was awesome. He made her feel so welcome, telling her about the amenities of your facility. He is an asset to your company.

    « Amazing one-night stay »

We had a water-view King room on the third floor. The room was tight very tight but comfortable for our one-night stay; it had all the amenities needed and the bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I have slept in in a long time. Our view was incredible and we were able to watch the sunrise in the morning (see pictures). Our stay was covered by a gift certificate and they must have wanted us to have a romantic retreat because we were greeted with rose petals, chocolate and Champagne making the stay even more memorable. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel, especially if you are traveling to Sea-Tac, there is a shuttle that departs from this location which saves you the headache of having to drive yourself to/from the airport.

    « Amazing Weekend Getaway »

It was our first time in Washington and my boyfriend and I enjoyed our stay. The staff was amazing from the front desk staff to the breakfast ladies. They were just a delight to interact with! Although, this was not our primary destination, the hotel was very close to everything. The view from our bedroom was awesome - getting to experience the sunrise before we left was just magnificent. Thank you the staff that helped my boyfriend fulfill his surprise for me - I was extremely happy. We were sad that we had to leave but will definitely come back. Thank you again!

very good for the price. Needs a Windows update on the PC to print out boarding passes. Otherwise, no complaints. Right on Puget Sounds, close to restaurants and Kitsap Mall, lots of parking. I had breakfast at the hotel restaurant. Buffet was good $7.95

    « Great get-a-way »

We spent the night on an overnight get-a-way. Bed was so comfortable, and check in staff was personable and helpful. We have stayed here a few times in the past and always find everything clean and comfortable. We will stay here again when in the area. The only complaint at all is that the bathroom is quite small.

    4
« Amazing Staff, Okay Rooms »

The staff at this hotel went out of their way to make our stay amazing. We stayed for my sister's wedding, and they went out of their way to make every detail perfect. The rooms were only okay - small, and poorly noise-proofed. The staff made up for the room quality.

    5
    « Very pleasant experience! »

From the moment we walked in the front door, we could tell this was the right choice for our overnight stay. The front desk greeting and check in was very pleasant and quick. We had our little dog with us, and almost immediately we were talking like old friends and their pets, rather than a business transaction. Our first floor room was perfect for a pet and it didn't feel like a run of the mill hotel room. Clean, appropriately furnished and comfortable. The rest of the hotel was equally pleasant. Very well taking care of. Clean and appealing. Even though this was a Sunday evening, in early November, it was obvious the party in the event room was handled equally well. Everything seemed to be well in hand and we were not made to feel that we were in their way or we in theirs. Noise was not an issue. Overall, a Very pleasant experience.

    « Vacation with friends »

I've stayed at this location several times and I have never been disappointment with the level of service that I get from the staff. The lounge had some great live music playing that night and the food & drink was delicious. The only con that I found this time around was during the weather we've been having (Washington is renown for being rainy) they don't have a covered porch/patio area for smokers. This isn't something I'd dock them for, since they are technically a non-smoking establishment.

    « Outstanding services »

Overall appearance of hotel, front desk area and rooms were great. For military members vouchers were presented for 2 glasses of wine or beer and breakfast for wach night stayed. It was a great experience, staff were polite and courteous, iwould stay here again.

« Public Area Heating Cooling System Just Below My Room »

I always stay here when I have to go to Silverdale for work. There are good rooms and bad depending on location. This trip I got a balcony room but it was on the restaurant end and had the main heating/cooling system right under the window of my room. Sounded like a freight train continually running past my window. I have had a suite room that was not much better because it was located right next to the elevator and meeting room. This hotel offers a restaurant but no free breakfast.

« Wished it wasnt just an overnight stay :) »

Stayed overnight at the hotel on Oct27-28, 2015. I transferred to the hotel in lieu of its pickup point for the Kitsap Airporter and I also wanted to get a feel of the hotel. All the same, its to relax one more day before my flight out of WA state. While its just overnight, I'm sending my review in brief: Reservations: I had to place a call to get my reservation. No hassle here. But apparently, when I came the following day to checkin, there was a mix-up of my reservation that booked my stay for Oct28 instead of 27. Rating: Still Good in terms of the no-hassle reservation process and ease of booking. Check-in: As I mentioned above, upon check-in my reservation for the day wasnt found and I had to explain how the reservation was done via phone (no confirmation number was given so it was a problem to verify with the FrontDesk and their system). But the other lady at the FrontDesk checked further and found my reservation was on the next day and made a fixup and I was able to check-in. Rating: Excellent! Well at least I wasnt denied check-in and they acceded to my claim despite no confirmation number to vouch for. That was really nice of them to address the oversight without going thru any blame games. Room: Yey, its the same as in the website pictures! Who wouldnt love to be in room as advertised, no mis-expectations here. I did like my room, its quaint and well-appointed! I noticed immediately the room was cute (ie. small but not really congested or boxed in), or it could be the bed was big. I didnt mind anyways, it suited me just right; the fact I can move around the room is sufficient enough. And the room is CLEAN too! :) Love the bed, enjoyed the TV and the bath is functional--its just right in my opinion, well maybe small but then again, I'm not going to stay in the bath all day right? :) In general, the room is sufficient to give you the comfort of your stay. I took the cityview room and its all good too. Enjoyed the cable channels being extensive enough for binge watching and just relax the day away. Did I mention the hotel lobby is gorgeous? Okay it is! I liked the elegant, homey feel of the interiors and the decors really made me feel in a posh cottage resort. Rating: Excellent! Nothing to fault with my room, I did sleep well and relaxed my day away! Food: Unfortunately I wasnt able to eat anything at the restaurant. Maybe next time I will try it. Rating: N/A Service: I mainly spoke with the Front Desk people considering my short stay and they are all but polite and courteous. The guy at the FrontDesk (I didnt get his name) didnt mind when I requested to breakdown my 100 dollar bill (I needed small bills). He also bid me goodbye when he left the hotel while I was waiting for the shuttle. Rating: EXCELLENT! Nothing to fault there. Didnt have any bad experience or unprofessional handling. The FrontDesk people are very easy to talk to and approachable. Checkout: Checkout was no hassle either. My invoice was readily available and I just needed to sign. Rating: Excellent! I would have loved to stay longer at the Silverdale Beach Club in WA. Its direct view of Dyes Inlet is amazing much more so having it as a direct backyard from the hotel lobby. The location is strategic still, a bit of walk to get to the road but again, walking isnt an issue. Its close to get what you need and where to go. The hotel serves its purposes and maybe next time I will come for summer and see for myself how its like. I will come back for sure!

This was a great Hotel to stay at in the Silverdale area, We had work in the Port Ludlow area and this was great to HQ from. Place was immaculate. Rooms quiet, not a thing to complain about. The morning breakfast buffet was ok but for really hungry guys, walk across the street to Shari's which is like a Denny's. Parking lot is not ideal for folks towing a trailer or for large RVs - be advised.

« Nice exerience in Silverdale Beach »

Very good vallue for weekend visit to Silvedale/ Paulsbo area. Weather was windy but comforable temperatures. Hotel is right on the water. My wife, daughter and grand daughter loved sitting by the comfy fireplace in the lobby and walking along the beach. There was a bonfire outside by the water in the evening but it had started to drizzle... so we returned to the fireplace. Really nice features...very pet-friendly but we had no pets with us.

« Beautiful, close to amenities, friendly staff »

Love the location, make sure when you book you specify what type of room you want because some have a horrible view of the roof of the bar...plus you get the hum of all the ventilation equipment. Staff is great, rooms are clean, coffee is good.

    « It was okay »

I will start with the front desk staff was wonderful! Super friendly and they let us have early check in! I was positive based off of them that the stay would be perfect! But the room was pretty average, comfortable enough but nothing too exciting. Honestly, the reason this is getting a 3 star is because of the breakfast. It is a typical hotel, self serve breakfast but you have to pay for it. And the breakfast staff weren't super friendly. They kind of seemed annoyed that you would come in and interrupt their conversation. I would be more than okay to pay for a breakfast if it wasn't your typical continental type of breakfast.

    « Needs Improvement »

My AARP bargain was no bargain. "Balcony" was a foot off the ground with a "view" of the parking lot. Front desk bumped us up to a room with a beautiful view and strong smells of cigarettes and room deodorizer. We were then bumped up to very nice room with view. Later discovered sink did not drain, but we had no desire to move again. Noisy doors woke us in morning.

    « Horrible Stay! »

I knew it was going to be one of those nights when I checked in and they had me in a regular King Room instead of the King Suite with Water View and Spa Bath I had reserved. They switched me to a king suite... which just happened to be across the hall from a couple of rooms occupied, they later told me, by high school girls' Volleyball teams. The running and screaming and slamming of doors went on for hours, late into the night, even after multiple complaints to the front desk staff. It started up again at 6am. This was a miserable night and left me exhausted for the following days meeting.

    « Pleasant friendly hotel »

This was my first visit to Silverdale and we enjoyed our visit. The hotel was clean, the staff great (very friendly and helpful) aand the beds were comfortable. Very relaxing and good water view from balcony.

This hotel has a lovely welcoming foyer with a fireplace, cheerful/helpful desk staff and a great location right on the water. The food and amenities were all excellent and the beds very comfortable. My room was very clean as were all other aspects of the hotel. I did not use the pool so I cannot speak to that. Good location within walking distance to Starbucks, several restaurants and a supermarket and the airport shuttle stops there. Dog friendly and great water views. Awesome place to stay!!!

    « Great Hotel »

Exceptional staff during check in, throughout the stay and checkout. Great views and location in center of town. Within walking distance to everything you would need! Only downside is the very small bathrooms in the rooms, but overall a great experience.

The hotel is located directly on the sound and if you get a room with a view it is absolutely incredible. They have a fire pit, ability to walk on the beach, stroll along a pathway and they are within walking distance of several restaurants and shopping. This makes it easier after a stressful day working to be able to come back to this. The nachos at the bar are absolutely fabulous! The beds were comfortable but the pillows not so much. It looks like a great hotel to come to in the summer with family. My trip was for business but if I am in the area to explore I will definitely stay here. Make the time to go to the Poulsbo Bakery!!!

« Enjoyed the guest amenities »

Pool, hot tub and sauna provided a refreshing break from a long week. Took in the band at the lounge - drinks and food were good. However, recommend asking the staff to assist with getting a room not directly over the lounge if you are someone who likes to go to bed early.

« Great getaway with a water view »

We were looking for a quiet, relaxing break. The price was a winner. We only had to walk downstairs for breakfast or drinks in the lounge. It was nice to walk along the shore and get refreshed. Took lots of pictures from the balcony of the storm that swept through and the great sunrises. Plenty of eating options, some within easy walking distance.

« Beautiful hotel on the scenic beach with a lot of walking space »

I stayed in March and I'm sorry to see I didn't review this hotel. It was beautiful. The rooms are small, but well appointed and the price is very economical. Thoroughly enjoyed walking the dog on this beautiful beachfront, and truly appreciate pets being welcomed into this great site.

    « Excellent Stay »

Two nights with a small golf group in late September - everything was excellent. Check-in, bar and restaurant service - all very good. Rooms at ground level with a view of the water were fabulous. Hotel is convenient to golf courses in the area (Gold Mountain and Trophy Lake - also excellent). Walking distance to restaurants and pubs.

    « Only one complaint »

As with other hotels these days, the beds are too high. Otherwise it is a comfortable, clean room. The breakfast buffet is nothing special and costs extra. If you don't order it at check-in, you will pay more for the buffet.

« Good bed option in Silverdale »

If you have to go to Silverdale WA there are no brand name hotel properties where you can count on a decent to good bed and bedding experience. This Hotel had an excellent bed and bedding option with firm but soft mattress and simple enough bedding that gave me a great nights sleep. However, while clean it was one smallest bathrooms possible and very tight manuevering.

    « Nice View & Location »

This is a nice hotel in a nice location. The staff is very caring. My only complaint is the size of the bathroom in my room. It was much too small to be comfortable, especially when having to share with my wife.

    « Overall, won't be back. »

The Good: 1. Can't say enough good things about the staff! 2. Location is convenient and some nice views of the Sound. 3. Fair price and free parking 4. I dig the shampoo and soap dispensers in the sink area and shower. 5. Did I mention the awesome staff? The Average: 1. Continental breakfast 2. Decor (but 2 nice gas fireplaces) 3. Pet friendly ( not my thing but I get it, some people bring fido along) 4. Bedding 5. Shower was luke warm The Bad. 1. If you come in spring or fall, be prepared to freeze or bake for half the day. The HVAC has to be manually switched from heat to AC (and back) in the room by the maintenance person. It works great for which ever you have it on but don't plan on turning the AC on in the afternoon when the sun beats down on your room. 2. The room I was in did not have power near the bed side. I don't like nor trust hotel room clocks and prefer to use my phone and charge it over night. Impossible until I asked for and received in short order an extension cord (which meant I had to move the bed to plug it in.) 3. Cable TV. Limited number of channels and not intuitive to change channel short of power surfing the whole dial.. Too many QVC type and talky channels. 4. Housekeeping. Hair on the bathroom floor that wasn't mind. Minimal room clean up during the day. The maid left a poorly made bed, obviously didn't wipe anything down or vacuum. They did however take the towel I left hanging on the hook to reuse and try to be a little greener. The Abysmal: 1. "Free High Speed Internet" ok, it was free but that's it. On the rare occasion I could actually log in, the speed was extremely limited. I called tech support. They said there were 60 users on the system and it was causing delays. 60, really? The tech also told me (after I ran a speed test) the hotel throttles the upload and download at 2MB. That's hardly high speed. My Verizon phone was downloading at 14 MB. Since I was here on business, Internet access is an imperative. I ended up using my own hot spot and eating into my data plan because I couldn't log on to check emails. I would give the overall experience a C to C- grade. Not enough to chase me away but certainly too many other hotel choices around to put up with the aggravation.
