« Excellent Hotel and Restaurant »

I travel often and spend close to 100 nights per year in hotels. This is by far one of the nicest and most comfortable hotels I stay in and the food in the restaurant is very good and reasonably priced. It is the only place I stay when I go to Cody.

    5
    « charming hotel »

Hotel is located at the entrance of town, gives a home atmosphere with fire place and sofas next to it on each floor, nice and helpful staff, breakfast included Highly recommended, very good value for money

    « Nice property. »

The rooms were clean with nice furniture. Nice sitting areas on all floors with stone fireplaces and couches to relax with friends. The breakfast was good. The dinner was ok. We ate out at local places mostly. Unexpectedly nice for a Best Western. I would stay here again.

« Very Nice Hotel with good restaurant »

This was one of the best hotels we stayed in during our tour of the Rockly Mountains. Its comfortable with excellent facilities and friendly staff. Their restaurant is very good and the breakfast is good value and well served. They staff go out of their way to help. Very nice stay

    « Classy hotel »

We were upgraded to this hotel as the Best Western hotel we had originally booked was being closed down (presumably for renovations). So glad we were. This is a very nice hotel. Attractive lobby, a lounge area for guests on each level, very comfortable rooms. Our room was tastefully decorated, and had 2 double beds, a couple of lounge chairs, a desk with comfy office chair. It also had a kitchenette with a fridge, pod-style coffee machine, microwave, and sink. There was a safe in the reasonably large wardrobe, and a spacious bathroom with quality fittings, and an enormous shower recess. Only let down was that the heating/cooling system was noisy, so we had to keep it turned off. We were still comfortable though. The restaurant downstairs was terrible, though.

    « Left feeling a little spoiled »

We only stayed one night, but it is a very nice hotel. We had a room with a king size bed with a sitting area. Not as much of a mountain view from our little balcony, but I'm sure most of the rooms had a nice view. The bed and the sofa were very comfortable. There was also a common sitting area down the hall, which was nice, because my roommate has a tendency wake up much earlier than I do. Nice bathroom, too! We didn't use the pool, but we had a look at it. There's a nice mountain view from the pool. We were also able to walk to restaurants, although if you're not used to walking, it may be a bit far for you. We would stay there again and definitely recommend to friends.

« Very nice place to stay with friendly staff and excellent rooms and beds »

Very nice room definitely above average in décor and furnishings. This was our 1st time at a BW premier and it is much nicer and a newer property. It made all our other rooms on the trip seem drab. Great location in Cody near Buffalo Bill Center and minutes from downtown. Has a nice restaurant but we did not eat there. Breakfast was not included but you got a discount at the restaurant. Staff encountered were nicely dressed, courteous and helpful.

    « Very disappointed »

I have stayed here before and loved it. This time the front desk was meh and the restaurant sucked! The football game was on too loud in the bar and the dining room light on glare. I asked to have both situations corrected. They dimmed the lights and turned down the ball game FOR 5 minutes! The salad tasted like walkin cooler. The room is nice but THE CODY down the road is $50 less.

« Excellent choice in Cody »

Beautiful hotel and room. Short drive to downtown. Comfortable room and bed. The pool and hot tub were great. Breakfast was 10% off at the restaurant. The food was very good. We would definitely stay here again!

    « Primo Hotel! »

We spent 4 nights here. Room was large-scale bathroom exceptional for a BW. Staff friendly and helpful with recommendations. Great location for day trips. We went to Yellowstone (2hr30min to Old Faithful) and did a circle route back to main road. Higher elevations had road closures already. Took a nice day trip to Red Lodge, Montana. Nice little town with shops and restaurants. Scenery fantastic! I would definitely stay here again.

« Clean, comfortable rooms and attractive decor »

Stayed 3 nights in Cody to take advantage of the location near Yellowstone Park. The lobby and common spaces/ lounges at the hotel are lovely. The room was clean and the beds/linens/pillows very comfortable!. The WiFi signal was strong. We ate in the attached restaurant twice. We agreed that the food was OK but not super. The first night the restaurant service was spotty, however at our second visit, our server was GREAT and she was really working hard. There are lots of choices for places to eat/drink in Cody and I would recommend checking some of them out before eating in the hotel even though it is convenient.

« Very nice hotel but the restaurant and staff are lacking »

This is a high quality property that is quiet, well appointed and nicely maintained. However, the staff (restaurant and front desk) are not at all friendly and the the restaurant staff in particular are not on the ball. Wait times for initial service and getting the bill were long, and they just don't seem to be up to the task. Overall, it's an unprofessional crew. Too bad the staff don't match the high quality of the property itself.

    5
    « Fantastic Property »

You just never know what to expect if you have not been to a place before. All the photos can tell a different story than the reality of an in person visit. Well, this property did not disappoint! We had a king room. It was very large with a nice sitting area. The bathroom was also large and the shower was a straight walk-in with no lip. Great for someone with physical issues. The lobby was very nice with an atrium and had a sitting area with a fire place on each floor. I just wish they had the fire going. Some rooms have a balcony. We did not. The room had a safe.

    5
    « Cody coziness »

Loved it! The best rest I've had in any Best Western. The premium towels and bedding was so nice, we felt pampered. Extra pillows and the room temperature was just right. We had a balcony with a view. Their staff was friendly and helpful too. On the negative side their room service and restaurant needs to step it up with customer service. I highly recommend staying at the Ivy for your Yellowstone experience.

    « Two night stay »

The rooms were excellent. It was clean, beds and pillows were great. On Saturday evening the people above us were loud (am and pm) loved the shower. Front desk wasn't friendly at all. Would definitely stay here again. Don't eat in the restaurant it is horrible and the service is the worst. We sent our food back to the kitchen. If they are connected to the Best Western Premier, they need to close it.

« Great hotel for families! »

We only stayed one night - the night of the Rodeo. Wished we had had more time to spend here. It was very clean, friendly staff, and enough room for our family of five (two beds and a pull out couch). There is a pool, but we didn't have time to use it. It is down the road from the Cody Museum and not far from the Rodeo. Great option!

« Upscale best western is fabulous »

I am here in Cody on vacation with my husband. We are so happy with this Best Western. It is clean and very nice. The bar and restaurant were great too. Stayed here 3 days it was very nice. The food in restaurant is very good. The waitress staff was limited but they did a great job short staffed and food was worth the wait. The room is so nice and clean. Comfy bed and pillows. They have a nice wet bar in room that I like. This place is priced for the area at $200 a night. In west Yellowstone we stayed at a complete dump for same price so I'm pretty happy about this place. Headed out today and would definitely come back!!!!

« Really Nice Hotel in Cody! »

Stayed for one night at the Best Western Premier Ivy in Cody and it was a smart choice. The rooms look brand new with comfortable beds/pillows, the overall appearance of the hotel is really very very nice, and they have a great bar/restaurant on site to relax in. Paid @ $243/nite. Perfect location near the Buffalo Bill Museum. Recommend highly.

    « You'll Like This »

On a road trip we didn't have a place til we got to Cody. Checked TA, saw the good reviews on BW Ivy & we called & booked a queen suite. Super pretty & clean, we agree with prior reviews. Wonderful new place, first time in a BW in 20 years. Much improved. Housekeeper left us a nice note with butterfly design, a great surprise. Nice restaurant & bar, friendly staff. Beautiful facility. This place is top on the list if we return. I'm picky on hotels & this place excels for quality & value.

    « Very nice hotel »

We stayed here one night after visiting the Heartland Relocation Center in nearby Powell (see separate review), then going to Yellowstone after touring the Buffalo Bill Dam (see separate review of latter). This is a very, very nice hotel; very modern, lovely rooms, quiet and comfortable. I guess their "premier" label sets them apart from traditional Best Westerns. As a hotel in Cody, a gateway city to Yellowstone, prices in September were on the high side ($250) but, again, it was lovely.

« Lovely Entry and Lodge Feel »

Our room was comfortable but needed a little cleaning. The windows were dirty but I always travel with my cleaning things. The beds were fine and the linen was OK. The location is great. The pool area and gym is wonderful. I wish the rooms reflected the Main building. Loved Cody. Eat at Zappo's Mexican Food. Great

« Upscale and First Class »

State of the Art, new facility that has everything you need for a good night rest. The bed was so comfortable with great pillows...The shower has a bench, with a great shower head, and they provide the wonderful Gilchrist & Soames soap, shampoo and conditioner...Best hotel we stayed in on our 9 day trip...

« Trek to the West »

This is a very beautiful hotel -- a premier. You feel like you are in luxury with a nice metal ice bucket, real coffee cups & glasses, a fancy Keurig coffee maker. A large room with every thing you need. While it is probably a great place for business travelers & meetings, it's pricey for the average travel. And, you don't even get a free buffet breakfast that is offered at the BW Plus hotels. 10% off breakfast is better than nothing, but didn't add up much for the price of the hotel. Bar is small. We went down for a drink but no place to sit. It was a night we stayed in so we made good use of the microwave, refrigerator & space. If you have been traveling & want a treat it's a great place with a good location.

    5
« Beautiful hotel, close to Yellowstone »

This hotel is not what I think of as a typical Best Western hotel. Feels more like an upscale mountain lodge. Beds are really fresh and clean, rooms are decorated nicely with a roomy bathroom and shower (not tub shower). Each floor has a sitting area near the elevators which would be nice for families or just a quiet spot to read a book. Price is a little higher than we usually spend, but decided to splurge for one night before heading into Yellowstone.

    5
« First class hotel, good location and great views »

A first class hotel, pleasant atmosphere, clean, comfortable, well decorated rooms and public seating lounge on each floor with fireplace. Room was large, with usual amenities including safe and microwave and with private balcony.

    5
« Beautifully designed modern amenities making it a terrific staging stop before heading into Yellowstone! »

What a beautiful property, much more than I expected from a Best Western Hotel. This facility is new like in condition, the rooms are wonderful as are the bathrooms, especially the open type showers. A wonderful way to start your adventure into Yellowstone!

    4
    « A step above »

This hotel/motel was worthy of the "premier" title. Great location in Cody and to drive to the eastern entrance to Yellowstone. Clean rooms. A full service restaurant. Not as cheap a night as mony others so ask about rates. But we found it overall a welcome change from budget motels.

    5
    « Nicest hotel »

Very clean and comfortable hotel. Great design for people that appreciate first rate hotels . I don't usually spend as much as I did for this room, but it was perfect for a much needed good nights sleep,

    5
    « Amazing hotel...is this really a BW! »

This hotel has won awards...its very stylish in its room fittings & fixtures. It has nice soaps and shampoos. It is well managed and run, the staff are professional & friendly. The hotel is spotless and very clean, each floor has a lobby area with TV, fireplaces and comfy sofas. there is a guest laundry and a pool and hot tub. This hotel was reasonably priced. The restaurant serves reasonable priced food. Great place to stay to see Yellowstone NP.

    5
    « nearly a destination in itself »

Gorgeous amenities; clean, quiet; comfortable bed and room; public space very appealing; would rate higher than 10 if possible . . .and all of this for a very reasonable price! on the same trip we stayed at Yellowstone Lake Hotel, Jenny Lake Lodge, and Jackson Lake Lodge . . .would rank this stay second, right after Jackson Lake Lodge.

    « Very Nice »

I seldom stay at Best Western properties and was expecting something less than what I got. This is a beautiful inn, rooms are very well appointed. The shower was wonderful!!! Got a good night's sleep.

    5
    « Very nicely done! »

This was a lovely best western premier. The lobby is well appointed with a nice fireplace and good sized bar and dining area. The service is very quick and they have moist towels available as well as coffee and snacks. The rooms are lovely and well appointed. Modern and new, the bathrooms are also well appointed with great lotions and things. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is for their fish on the menu and the dinner service. The trout and salmon were fishy tasting and very dry. They also came out cold and when asked to reheat, they came back not much warmer. The servers weren't rude or anything but just not as welcoming as they could be. The dessert was also lacking and was clearly prepackaged. The prime rib on the other had was fantastic! Overall a great hotel!

« Nice Place to Stay in Cody »

We spent two nights in Cody at the Best Western Ivy Inn & Suites. Check-in was quick and easy. The front desk personnel were friendly and helpful. Our room featured a king bed, nice flat screen TV, large desk with computer HDMI and USB ports, etc. It also had a three-drawer dresser, a comfortable couch, an easy chair, coffee table, coffeemaker, bar with sink, microwave, refrigerator, and a decent size closet. The bathroom was roomy and had a huge shower. The free Wi-Fi and use of washers and dryers was also appreciated (you do have to purchase the soap, etc. from the hotel shop, but the prices are very reasonable). The hotel does not provide a complimentary breakfast, but coffee is available in the lobby. They also have the 8th Street at the Ivy Restaurant on site, but most customers I talked with thought it was just fair on both service and food.

    « Vacation »

This was better than we expected since the last several times we have stayed in BW (been a number of years ago) they were not as good as advertised. This BWP was impressive and I would compare it to the Fairfield and Residence Inn we stayed at in Grand Island and Rapid City as enjoyable and comfortable.

    5
    « 2 nights in Cody »

What a nice hotel. Definitely a 5-star for a town like Cody. My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights on our way to Yellowstone and were very happy we did. Our room was a 2-queen suite with a mountain view, mini fridge, microwave, and a Keurig coffee maker. It was definitely worth the extra money to get this room. The hotel was very well appointed, very nice, and each floor had a sitting area with a fireplace. Room was very clean, awesome bathroom, very nice towels and toiletries. We would definitely stay here again.

    2
« Nice looking noisy hotel »

The facility is first rate in appearance, but we stayed in 301 and the road noise was brutal. This room needs to be sound proofed. Do not stay in a room facing the road, you will regret it. With the prices they charge they should be able to figure a way to make the noise level more tolerable.

    5
    « Extremely Nice Hotel »

I have never stayed at a Best Western prior to my visit to Cody, WY. Due to the fact that there are not a great number of options for hotels in Cody, WY, the Best Western Premier was recommended from a family member that lives in Cody, WY. I am extremely picking about cleanliness (especially with regards to restrooms) and I can honestly say that this was the cleanest and nicest hotel I have ever stayed in including 4 and 5 star hotels. We were visiting Cody, WY for a family member's wedding and stayed at the Best Western Premier for 3 nights. It was a wonderful experience and if I am ever needing to stay at a hotel in that area again the future, I will not hesitate to book my room there.

    5
    « Beautiful hotel »

This hotel is absolutely beautiful, newer, modern hotel but still a rustic feel. The staff was great and had some awesome local dinner recommendations. The location is also perfect for heading downtown or heading to the mountains!

    5
« Gorgeous Hotel and Outstanding Customer Service! »

There is attention to every detail at this hotel! It is gorgeous, from the exterior landscaping to the showers! Keurig in every room and an amazing (and reasonably priced) room service available. We stayed on the 3rd floor with a mountain view balcony and the views were beautiful. The staff is also fantastic. We had excellent customer service from the front desk, maids, room service attendants, and waitresses in the restaurant. These employees care about their jobs and it shows. This hotel was also immaculate. Very impressed and will be staying at this hotel every trip to Cody.

    5
    « Efficient and clean »

This is a very well run property just on the outskirts of town and in walking distance of the Cody Museum. The staff knows the area and was spot on with their recommendations for dining and entertainment. They were also helpful in redirecting our route around road closures due to fires on our way back to Jackson Hole.

    « Cozy like home »

We loved this place from the moment we walked in. The decor was inviting and warm. The fireplace was lit and the staff welcomed us with open arms. Our room was very comfortable with 2-queen beds and very lovely bedding and fabulous amenities and cosmetics in the bathroom. Free wifi is a plus and the restaurant was very convenient for our breakfast.

    5
« Easily the best hotel in cody »

Really nice hotel in Cody where a lot of the places looks pretty run down and in need of an update. Our rooms were very clean clearly recently updated, bathrooms were gorgeous with river drown floor showers. We ate dinner at the restaurant where they were happy to accommodate small children and we enjoyed our meals as well. Highly recommend!

    5
    « Great visit! »

If in Cody, and you're looking for a great place to stay absolutely consider the BWP. Our visit was Very nice, comfortable, quiet and the staff made you feel like they cared and were very welcoming. Location is central to the museum and to the downtown area.

    5
    « Wonderful »

Great hotel, staff was excellent, room was awesome not to mention the bathroom! Oh and laundry was complimentary. Perfect spot to rest after a few days at Yellowstone and visit the Buffalo Bill Center of the West.

    5
« Best of the Best Westerns »

We have travelled extensively in America and often use Best Western Hotels. This hotel is one of the best hotels we have stayed in. The rooms are large, very clean, quiet and very special. The hotel has a restaurant on site 8th which was excellent for breakfast and dinner, it was also very reasonable. The hotel is about half a mile from the Wild Bill Cody Museum, which is definitely worth a visit. Well done to all the staff in this Best Western. We enjoyed our stay

    5
    « Best Best Western »

Best Western Premier has matched if not exceeded its competition with its BW Premier in Cody Wyoming. Everything about my stay at this hotel exceeded my expectations. The restaurant attached to the hotel was mediocre but Cody offers enough variety for other options and it is a short drive to the downtown area from the hotel.

    4
« Fantastic Hotel love the Western style design! »

Very nice atmosphere, clean spacious rooms with comfortable beds. Has a bar, fittness and business center. Despite being a bit pricey loved this hotel: It's got everything you need and everything looked brand new! Close to area attractions and down town Cody.

    5
    « Walkin Shower »

This is a nice hotel. It is the little touches that make this hotel. Things like the ability to turn the door bell ring red instead of finding something to hang on the door knob. Each floor has a small lobby; we were so busy that we did not have time to enjoy it. But then the room was so comfortable that once we were in, we did not really want to leave. The real winner was the walk in shower; I want one like that in my house. I should not forget to mention the front desk staff, they made us feel welcome and were very helpful when we had questions. Next time we are in Cody, and I hope that is soon, we will stay at the Best Western Premier Ivy Inn & Suites.

    5
    « Great hotel »

Great hotel. We got a suite which was very nice and looked fresh and newly remodeled.Everything was extremely clean and comfortable.Very pricey, but this is a tourist area and there is very little choice.

    4
    « Lovely hotel »

We stayed for two nights at this hotel during a stop in Cody on a two-week road trip. The hotel is lovely, done in an understated western style. It was also very comfortable. The only downside was the fitness room, which was not well-equipped (the cardio equipment was from another era and clearly the cheapest they could get) and could really only accommodate a couple of people at a time because they did not have more than one kind of equipment in working order. This is something I look for on trips because I do work out while traveling and its important to me. Otherwise, good service, conveniently located, and comfortable.

  • 4
    « Decent but a bit pricey »

We asked when we booked for a quiet room with a view and didnt realise the two dont really go together. So we found ourselves in a corner room on the front of the hotel facing the road. Nevertheless, the staff had done their best and we did have a nice view. The road was not too busy and the trailer park over the road only bothered us early one morning when some over excited bikers decided to show just how noisy their bikes could be! So far as the road noise was concerned, the traffic really quietened down after the rodeo finished so that was not a problem. We also found ourselves opposite the laundry room. When we expressed some concern, we were offered an alternative on the back of the hotel but this was next to the laundry room and a smaller room. The laundry room had a door (kept open) and there was another door into the corridor where our room was. This door was also open so we had the delight of people doing their laundry at 2 am. Its amazing just how irritating buttons hitting the side of a tumble dryer can be. Eventually I got up and closed the door to the corridor. The second night we made sure the door was closed to start with. No free breakfast in this Best Western hence the heading but it was a nice hotel and the staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay despite the insomniac launderers!

« Best Overall Stay We've Ever Experienced »

We have stayed in hotels across North America and Western and Central Europe during the past several years, and we both agree that our most enjoyable stay has been at this hotel. This place is not inexpensive, but you get more than you pay for, in our opinion. The desk for the laptop, etc. is directly underneath a large, flat screen television. On the wall is a panel with input for electrical items, in addition to all manner of audio/video jacks. We used the HDMI input to play some of our old movies from our computer through the television and it was much more smooth and easy than at any other hotel we've stayed at. The room is very large and has the most comfortable beds of any hotel we've stayed at, including eight pillows. There is enough storage for someone to stay here for a month without using the laundry of the hotel. The room is well furnished and has a wall-length mirror, a safe, a wet bar, a small refrigerator, a Keurig coffee maker (with several flavor coffee pods) and a microwave oven. The supplied glasses are high quality crystal as opposed to paper or plastic found in most other hotels. Counters are topped with very high quality granite, which adds to the luxury feel of the room, which is in the bathroom also. The bathroom is exquisite and exquisitely stocked with good quality towels and amenities as well as a lighted wall mirror and lighted vanity (make-up) mirror. Even the radio/alarm clock is of higher quality than we've seen in any other hotel. My wife insisted that I add that the lobby is gorgeous.

    5
    « Very relaxing »

I typically do not equate Best Western with super quality but the Ivy in Cody is all that and more. Have stayed there on 4 occasions over the past year. Staff is great, rooms very comfortable/quiet, restaurant has a nice selection of items. Parking proximate to the rooms, hotel well situated for tons of attractions. Great business center, internet works perfectly in the rooms. Only improvement I'd suggest is to rework the room doors to shut more slowly...since they are not on any resistance device, guests tend to slam them when leaving the room...makes a ton of noise, heard throughout the hotel. Not a big deal.

    4
« Best Western Ivy Premier »

Was surprised by the quality of this property. . Not the standard Best Western property. Very good rooms, facility and service at a location where not many options are available. Enjoyed the short stay there.

    5
    « Unexpectedly high end »

Being a bit nervous about the best western label, booked a package for an overnight stay in a suite (at a very reasonable price). Turns out I needn't have worried - it's a very nice modern hotel, with great amenities, a nice restaurant and friendly staff. Turned out my "enchantment" package was actually a romantic one, with an embarrassing amount of chocolates, rose petals and swan-shaped towels strewn around the suite which was huge. The staff didn't bat an eyelid that I was with my same-sex partner thus turning an overnight stay into an unintentional homage to Brokeback Mountain. (I must say we were a bit more uncomfortable at the rodeo in Cody...)

    5
« WOW- is all I have to say »

OK...so this is the nicest BW we have stayed in BY FAR. Yes it is a "premier" but it is absolutely gorgeous. Every single, solitary detail attended to and maintained to absolute perfection. The rooms are spacious, and ultra clean. The beds are so comfortable you will not want to get up. The coffee maker is a full size, fancy unit that you use pods for. The bathrooms screams luxury and the amenities are over the top. The staff is very nice and pleasant and although we did not eat in the restaurant, we did have some drinks and the bartender was great. If you don't spend what you need to, to stay here, then you are shortchanging yourself!

    5
    « What a treat! »

We can't say enough good things about this Best Western. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the decor attractive. The staff is most helpful and patient, steering us to good choices in restaurants and even giving us tips about where to sit at the rodeo. We really appreciated the laundry facilities, available without charge, that we greatly needed after a week on the road. Kudos to Best Western! The only down mark was breakfast in the restaurant adjoining the hotel, which was a bit of a disaster. Highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Cody.

    4
« Stay here if you want a clean, new, comfortable lodging. »

My wife and I were pleasantly surprised with the comfortable and pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was spacious with a western motif. An unsuspected find was an onsite restaurant with good food. We will definitely stay here again. The staff was very professional.

    5
« Stay over between Yellowstone & Keystone »

This is a high end hotel....something I doubted given its a Best Western and the chain isn't known for high end. The bathroom was new and lovely, the beds were comfy and the layout worked well. Free wifi and lots of convenient charging stations. It was a welcome change from our Yellowstone accommodations!

    5
    « Very Nice Place & Staff »

Highly recommend a stay here while in Cody. Room was very clean and ready when we arrived early. Thank you for the quick reply to our request for more towels; it's the small things that makes for a great stay. In house restaurant provides wonderful service. We sat outside on the patio; great weather.

    « Book It! »

This hotel gives a great impression of the Best Western brand. The look and feel of these rooms aligns closer to higher end Marriotts than Best Westerns that I have stayed in the past. The room, beds, bedding and showers were well appointed. We were located on the first floor and I was nervous that we would have heard noise above and I cannot say that I ever heard anything. It seems so rare to have rooms that have good insulation between them these days! The pool area was basic, but the kids enjoyed. The location of the hotel was convenient to the Buffalo Bill Museum, Cody Night Rodeo or just getting back on the road to head to Yellowstone. We did partake in room service one evening and the food was very good. No breakfast is included. However, you do get a 10% discount at the restaurant if you choose to have breakfast there. Staff were professional and friendly throughout our stay. In the peak summer season, we thought this hotel was a win for our family and although it was a little high priced it was right in alignment with every other hotel in Cody this time of year.

    « Ok »

This was a very nice hotel and the rooms were very clean. The front desk were very professional but not real personable I think they should try to be more personable it makes people feel more welcome. This was one of the highest places we stayed at and they were the only place that didn't offer the free breakfast. I think as high as the price was the breakfast should be included.

    « Great Family Trip »

The front desk staff was friendly and accommodating. Clint was very helpful when we had an issue with the air conditioner & he got us another room as soon as one became available. Krystal in the restaurant was personable and very engaging. She gave us great ideas for shops & local attractions. She is a superstar!

Great stay at very comfortable outpost on the frontier edge to Yellowstone via the Chief Joseph Scenic Highway and Bluetooth Mountain Highway. Great staff and delicious breakfast for the right start to the day. Centrally located to local rodeo, shops and restaurants , allowing for leisurely pace and some great people watching.

Very nice hotel, no breakfast provided. Busy location, right on main road. Living room area on each floor in executive wing with fireplace. Small land area for large hotel. Free laundry room, free coffee. Most staff was friendly. Kerrigan coffee maker in room with limited selection.

    « Great Hotel »

Updated and beautiful bathrooms. The showers have rock floors like a spa with a rain shower head. It was great. The hotel's restaurant is all you need. It was fantastic. We were right in town and close to all the Buffalo Bill stuff. Right outside Yellowstone. Would stay here again for sure.

    « Classy Stop »

We enjoyed our stay and the hotel was conveniently located, near the Cody Western Museum. Our room was very nicely furnished, large & comfortable. We would stay again. Only beef is that the breakfast is not included. One has to go to the attached restaurant and pay for it. We went to McDonalds.

This looks like a brand new property. Great amenities and rooms with a premium feel. The rooms are very spacious, clean and nicely furnished. There is restaurant at the property. Staff are friendly and courteous.

Best western Premier Ivy is a great hotel. The rooms are spacious and clean. The staff is very nice. Very close to the town of Cody. We very much liked our stay there. It's in a great location. Even though there is a charge for breakfast, it was very good.

    « Beautifully comfortable hotel »

This is a beautiful hotel. The service was good, the room was fantastic! Rooms are big, quiet and very clean. It's not really what I would call walking distance to the "downtown scene" but it's not very far if you're driving (or young and active). Each floor has a lobby which makes it nice for visiting with family/friends. There is a restaurant and bar attached and both of them are worth visiting as well.

« Superb beyond our Best Western expectations »

This hotel is one of my all time favorites. On the level of the better hotels anywhere. The staff was totally helpful and mostly friendly. Built in 2012 it looks new and it was built with quality and top quality materials. The granite in the lobby and bar is from Brazil and remarkably beautiful. Free packaged refreshing towels in an ice bucket for guests in the lobby. Bath toiletries are top quality. Room was very nice and sleep was easy. The hotel was so pleasant we would return here anytime. This property sets the standard for any in it's class or price range. Thank you to the person or group responsible for building and managing this property.

« Wild West setting, great hotel »

This hotel has great rooms, full breakfast, close to activities (well, Cody Wyoming is pretty small so everything is close to everything else). has a fun spa and pool and the price is very reasonable. The staff was easy to deal with and they were friendly.

« Great place to begin your Yellowstone vacation »

This is a wonderful hotel. Rooms are large, comfortable and very clean. Great atmosphere - lots of travelers were taking pictures of the hotel itself when we were there. Courteous, friendly, helpful staff. Even though the hotel was completely full during our stay, it was very quiet and easy to get a good nights sleep. We had a great breakfast in the morning at the hotel restaurant, some of the best food we had during our Yellowstone vacation.

« Best "Best Western" experience I have ever had »

Best Western isn't exactly known for luxury, but this Best Western surpasses some luxury hotels I have stayed at. It is the nicest hotel in all of Cody, so I highly recommend it for your Yellowstone vacation. If staying in a room with two queen beds, ask for an odd-numbered room - they have balconies that overlook the nearby mountains.

    5
    « Great New Property »

This place is new and plush! The amenities are awesome and the hotel staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. The location is on the main road that runs through town so you are conveniently located near all of the attractions. We were extremely pleased with the choice that we made!

« Excellent with great views just on edge of Cody »

Friendly staff, room very clean and beds very comfortable. All the facilities you need including fridge, microwave, lots of coffee etc in room and on offer in the lobby 24hrs. Also chilled water flavoured with fruit. Good gym and excellent large, very clean, modern pool and very powerful, hot jacuzzi Set back from a busy road, so peaceful, with good views. A great idea, was a button on the door which you could light up to let housekeeping know that the room was free to clean and they turned it off when they were done Breakfast is not included and this was the most expensive hotel of our stay, but well worth it

« Great stay! Thanks, Clint! »

Clint at the front desk treated us like royalty during our stay! He was so kind and help us with what we needed! The beautiful suite was perfect for a family of 5. The pool was very nice. Breakfast at the Restaurant was fantastic, but not complimentary.

    « Cody/ Yellowstone visit »

Nice facility, as others have said. We were there two nights, and enjoyed the little town. Food in the restaurant was also decent, but, like the hotel, a little pricy. Seems to be one of the better hotels in Cody, but next time we would choose a different place. Service was lacking, especially the snarky pm front desk clerk. Rooms on the front were loud, as was the ac, as others have mentioned. Don't bother with the "balcony view", as trees and street noise diminish the value. We usually stay at Hilton facilities, and hope there is a new one in Cody if we ever return.

    4
    « Great place »

Spent 2 nights here. Great rooms, walk in shower and balcony with fantastic views. Beds are very comfy and the hotel is quiet considering it's on the main road through town. Very convenient location, close to the Buffalo Bill Center of the West and downtown. Only negative is the cost. We used points for one night which helped. No complimentary breakfast but there is a restaurant attached.

    « Exceeded expectations »

Stayed here for one night on a road trip. The facility is new and very clean. I was not familiar with "Premier" tag on BW, so this hotel dramatically exceeded expectations. Hotel is located just out of the main town area, toward the strip that leads to Yellowstone NP. There are still plenty of dining options nearby. Room was very big and comfortable. Sleeper sofa was typical and tolerable. Had a great, large balcony deck to view a sundown. Nice common sitting area with a TV and fireplace on every floor extends your living space even further. They guest bathroom was very modern, with finishes that are way above average. There is (by design) no door on the shower, which means that you're pretty limited in who can use the bathroom concurrently (single sink vanity and toilet in same area as shower). They offer a free guest laundry, which was great. There is a restaurant on-site, and they offer a nominal discount for guests. Did not use the pool, kids used the gym with no complaint.

« Fantastic place to stay »

Nice western decor, rooms are great and there is a sitting lounge on each floor. We stopped here traveling from Yellowstone to Rapid City. Got in late after a long day in the park; staff was nice and helpful and check-in was fast. The staff was really excellent all around! First, one of my daughters was feeling bad the next day and I went down to extend our stay a day so she could rest. The staff had to jump through some hoops, but they made some adjustments to get us in another night and not have to move rooms. They let the other kids stay in the pool late to keep playing and relax. Couldn't have asked for a better group of folks. Hotel also has free washer/dryers and the town of Cody is a fun place to spend some time. Would absolutely stay here again!!

« Very happy with this hotel »

This was a very good. We had a king room that was lovely and spacious. The sitting area had a chair, sofa, end table and coffee table and wasn't cramped. Thee was a partial screen separating it from the sleeping area. The bathroom was modern with a walk in shower and a large granite vanity. The lighting could have been a bit better. The Keurig coffee machine was on a separate cabinet and had its own sink. There was a microwave on a shelf on top, and a fridge below (no freezer). The only minor complaint was that the TV, a Phillips, did not have a clear, crisp picture. The hotel is attached to the 8th Street Restaurant which we ate at several times. You get a 10% discount for breakfast. The hotel is just outside of the main downtown area, less than a mile. There was also a Walmart about a half mile away in the other direction, in case you wanted to pick up anything. I was very impressed with this hotel.

« A pleasant place to stay with helpful staff »

This is the first time I stayed at a Premier Best Western property and I was impressed. Everything was upscale, from the furnishing to the spa products. Despite being on a major street the room was quiet. It was spacious, clean an in good condition. The front desk staff was very helpful and knowledgeable.

Beautiful rendition of Western style and design. Comfortable rooms with all the conveniences. Warm and friendly staff. Great restaurant and hearty breakfast the next morning. Perfect place to stay in beautiful Cody, WY.

« Poor rating because of lack of security »

New hotel nice enough. Clean with very good restaurant. The bathrooms could use a heat lamp (winter) and the lights on mirrors prevent most mirror usage because of glare. Someone with an auto passkey was snooping in my room despite the fact I had the no disturb button ON and asked the front desk for no housekeeping. Lock your bags they tried to snoop in my locked bag. Would not return due to lack of security.

    « Nice Luxury Room »

My fiance's mother booked this hotel for us as a surprise when we were up in Cody. We aren't sure what room we stayed in, but it was very nice. On their website there is a photo of it simply listed as "Suite". It isn't the King Suite or Queen Suite, something bigger. When we stepped into the room we were surprised at the size. There was a dining area, separate living room, a bedroom, and two luxury bathrooms with walk in showers. The bed was incredibly comfortable, one of the best I've sleep in, which is saying something as we stay in a lot of hotels. The toiletries were excellent and the towels great. There was a Kuerig in the living room which had an assortment of coffee and tea. My only wish is that bottled water would have been nice? This is a minor nitpick though. Our stay was excellent and I'd definitely recommend it.

    « Beautiful Hotel!!! »

Staff was friendly and helpful! Rooms were clean and modernized! The pool was warm and the hot tub was hot! I would definitely stay here again in the future. We paid more than we normally would for this type of Hotel, but it definitely was nicer than any hotel of this same type. Restaurant attached so there wasn't a free breakfast buffet but other than that it was a wonderful stay!

    « Superb. »

I would not have considered staying in a Best Western property if it was not for the glowing reviews on TA. Those reviews are justified, this is one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in during various vacations in the USA. Lovely open feel to the interior with a large atrium with seating areas on each floor. Staff friendly and professional. The room was spacious with comfortable beds, loads of facilities and a great walk in shower. Loads of parking behind the property and easy access to the main road and all the attractions. Had a nice breakfast in the restaurant but preferred the diner slightly nearby on the opposite of the street. Highly recommended

    « Best of Cody »

When we come back to Cody and the Buffalo Bill museum, we will certainly stay here. Let me count the ways we loved it: comfortable bedding, smart electronics that controlled the air conditioning, lights and maid notifications, convenient access to the television/monitor for streaming, luxurious furnishings, comfortable lounge on each floor, and a nice restaurant with a good menu.

    5
    « Great hotel »

Deserves its number one ranking in Cody. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. The bathroom has a spa like feel. The staff was extremely friendly. I enjoyed he decor and that each floor has its own sitting area with a fireplace. You cannot go wrong with this stop!

    « Hotel is Immaculate! »

My husband and I recently stayed here while visiting Cody. We stayed at numerous hotels during our 16 day trip out West. This was by far the cleanest hotel that we stayed in during our trip. At first glance this hotel appears to be brand new, but according to the employees, it is 4 yrs.old. (They really do a great job keeping everything in tip top shape.) The front desk staff were quite professional and made great suggestions for places to eat. Housekeeping was really good. The only negative that I can say about this hotel, is that they do not have a breakfast buffet. This is the first time we have stayed at a Best Western Premier, but it won't be the last!

    4
« Slightly over priced but comfortable stay »

Stayed here for 3 nights to do Yellowstone National Park. Very nice, but felt it was overpriced. We had a King Room with sofa bed. Room was clean and enough room for 2 adults and 1 child. Rooms also have a small fridge and microwave. Staff were very friendly and helpful. It is a short walk to restaurants and a short drive to the rodeo (a must when visiting). Restaurant is well priced, the ribs are fantastic but on the night we went the staff couldn't understand the Australian accent - frustrating. There is no free breakfast. We loved Cody that we stayed an extra night. Would definately stay here again and recommend to friends.

    3
    « Clean neat »

We stayed here 2 nights and the hotel was clean and neat, nothing fancy, felt it was over priced but so was everything else we looked at in this area. We had a room with 2 queen beds and a sleeper sofa, since there was 3 adults and a 14 and a 5 year old in our party.

    4
« Very, very nice! But some flaws »

This is in a great location. Rooms are clean and well cared for. Oddly, they do not have a breakfast buffet...you must order from the menu and service is slow. Most guests probably want an early start to get to Yellowstone, so this is a real negative. They also don't offer box lunches to go. That makes planning your early getaway to go to the park a little more difficult to manage. The A/c in our room caused the whole room to vibrate. We could live with that, but we could imagine it might drive some people crazy.

    5
« New, clean, great stay »

Very surprised at the quality for a Best Western. Everything in the hotel looks brand new and the staff are very helpful. No continental breakfast but each floor has 2 washing machines and 2 driers that can be used at no cost which is nice. It's also in a great location in Cody, not too far from Yellowstone.

    « Very nice hotel!! »

Very nice hotel. I would rank this higher than a Hilton! Everything very new and very clean. Free laundry and even though there is no free breakfast, the restaurant is very good. « Excellent, Comfortable Hotel ! »

Based on TripAdvisor reviews we stayed at the Best Western Premier Ivy Inn for three nights and were very satisfied with the room comfort : quiet, large walk-in shower, excellent queen size beds. Pool, fitness center, and business center are additional features which we very much enjoyed. Room rates are very reasonable (unlike outrageously high rates we experienced in West Yellowstone, MT). Cody, WY has an outstanding airport (GA and commercial service), and road mileage to the middle section of Yellowstone National Park is only a few miles more than from West Yellowstone, MT (plus East the park entrance is less crowded). Thus, we recommend that visitors use Cody, WY and the Best Western Premier Ivy Inn as their base when visiting Yellowstone National Park

Do not pass this BW up! It's their upscale premium version of a Best Western and boy is it worth it. The rooms are spacious and updated with updated bathrooms and furnishings and beds. They have a push button by the door entrance inside to show outside in red on the room number do not disturb so no flapping cards The step in shower was spacious with a built in bench very nice We had a very quiet night there was a couple fighting loudly next door about midnight staff quieted them down ASAP. Breakfast in morning was good not included in rate but worth it it's a quiet place to start the day with trout and eggs They won 2016 Best Western Hotel of the Year

« High (Over) Priced Luxury Yellowstone Market Hotel »

Very clean (even TV remote control was wiped down, spotless room). Very new (paint and carpets still out-gassing fumes). High prices due to high-demand in Yellowstone National Park area (big-city prices in rural small-town setting). Breakfast is NOT included (10% discount offered for attached hotel restaurant). Patio door opens to private deck. Friendly staff. Convenient to east entrance to YNP (60-90 minutes drive).

« Very nice hotel in a nice town with an outstanding Buffalo Bill Museum »

This Hotel is on the outskirts of Cody on the road to Yellowstone and about 500m down the road from the excellent Buffalo Bill Museum, which I highly recommend. The rooms were very nicely furnished, with an excellent large bathroom, free guest laundry and very pleasant and helpful staff. I used this as my base to visit Yellowstone, it is about 60 miles from the eastern entrance and the scenic drive to the park though the Buffalo Bill State Park is just breathtaking and highly recommended. I tried to initially book accommodation in the park but it was all fully booked, so this worked out well for us. This is a very nice hotel and I highly recommend.

« Great Hotel, Not your typical Best Western »

I would highly recommend this hotel, it is brand new and very nice. The premier brand is not at all what you think of for a Best Western. The room was very nice, comfortable, and modern. The hotel itself was great and the staff was extremely friendly. It is fairly conveniently located in Cody to everything you need.

We drove several hours, then checked in here. Great service, and there's a nice restaurant on site. That's good when you're tired and don't want to drive anymore. The room was nice too. There are some cute things to do in Cody, but we were just passing through.

« Nice rooms, pool and fitness center »

This hotel is much nicer than I was expecting. We have stayed in Best Western Plus hotels before and this is the nicest I've seen. Great pool, small fitness center, microwave and fridge in the room. Our room is spacious with a king bed and sitting area. Staff are friendly. There is no free breakfast, but there are many nice spots to eat in town. The rodeo and Buffalo bills center are less than 10 minutes away.

    « Upscale Best Western... »

Stayed here three nights. Very new and nice. Clean, with Wyoming decor. Staff was friendly, helpful. Internet connection in room worked great. Possibly the nicest hotel in Cody. We were visiting relatives close in Powell WY, and also Yellowstone. They also took us on a the scenic Beartooth HWY drive to Red Lodge Montana from Cody. Whew! A beautiful drive. Love Cody! They have worked hard to make this motel this nice. The pride they have in it shows. Motel has a restaurant but we did not partake. Free parking. Road construction going on on street in front did not hamper getting in or out. No issues whatsoever !

Seriously one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in. Great bathroom and wow! the walk-in shower! Free laundry, good coffee in the rooms, gorgeous pool and excellent hot tub. We were there a week before the real 'season' begins, so it was quiet as well.Front desk staff was all super friendly and helpful.

« Best hotel on our travels through Wyoming »

The Best Western Ivy exceeded our expectations for a hotel in a heavily-traveled tourist area. Our room was quiet and the bed was extremely comfortable. The walk-in shower was well laid out and the floor stones were eye catching. The AC was similar to a central AC unit and was extremely quiet. The balcony view of the mountains was really relaxing. The only distraction, which was not a hotel issue, was the road construction going on throughout Cody. The construction really distracted from the ambiance and peacefulness of the surrounding areas. The construction also made driving and walking a real challenge. The staff at this hotel was very friendly and responsive. The Keurig coffee maker and coffee blends were a very nice addition. One of my main requirements is that I get a good night sleep and be able to relax while on vacation. This hotel met or exceeded all of our expectations. We stayed here for five nights and could have stayed longer. The hotel is located on the outskirts of town, so walking to the main area was quite a hike for those of us in our 60s given that the roads and sidewalks were under construction. We were, however, able to walk to the Buffalo Bill Center of the West. We were also able to walk across the street to our favorite Cody-breakfast place, Sunset House. Our room was equipped with an iHome FM radio alarm and clock. Unfortunately, this radio clock was not compatible with our Android devices. The sad part is that we could not adjust the time. We even had one of the desk clerks try to set the time manually and he was not able to make any changes. Hotels should not restrict items such as clock radios to only one operating system like Apple. The hotel did not have a complimentary breakfast, but the 8th Street Restaurant is located on the property and offered a 10% discount on breakfast. We didn't care for the menu or prices and opted for the Sunset House instead. We did try the 8th Street Restaurant on an off night and the service and cleanliness of the utensils were not up to our standard; food was pretty good. In summary, we would stay at this hotel again and highly recommend it to our friends and family. We were very relaxed and rested in this hotel and it was by far the best hotel that we experienced throughout our travels in Wyoming and South Dakota.

« LOUD!!! You will not sleep!! »

Loud and dark. I would give this more stars if it weren't for the paper thin walls, floors and doors that BANG shut. The check-in guy was surly and had an attitude. Like were were checking into the Ritz or something. This place also has all these "green" measures such as dim lighting. The lighting will turn off if you haven't made any movements in the room in awhile. I felt like I needed a flashlight to read and put my make-up on. We were put in a room on the 1st floor next to the pool and fitness room. I felt like we were in Grand Central Station with all the noise and commotion from the hallway. We did end up calling the front desk due to the dancing elephants staying directly above our room. They were nice about it and got them to stop. If I did stay here again, I would request a room on top floor away from the pool.

« A little luxury in the West »

I went on trip advisor and booked this hotel on their recommendation. I was more than pleased. I have never been in such a nice and modern Best Western. Beautiful hotel with all the amenities. The rooms were spacious and included a refrigerator and microwave with real glass glasses and ceramic cups! The best was the walk in shower! It was conveniently located and the staff was very helpful. There was a free laundry - just need your soap. Love the doorbell for the room and the light you use to request cleaning service. Very up to date hotel. I can see why it is #1 in Cody!

    5
« Great Place and service »

The front desk folks were very cordial and friendly. The manager infact let us use the pool and Jacuzzi for a few 15 minutes past 10:00 PM as he realized we had driven for a few hours from Yellow stone. The breakfast place was very nice to sit and relax, they had some good selection of fruits and entries. The front desk also refunded me the resort fee since we had some issues with A/C and it took some time for them to fix it.

    « Excellent but a Little Pricey »

The hotel is relatively new and very nice. The room and bed were excellent. The staff were very nice. I guess I'm getting spoiled but I'm used to hotels of this type including breakfast. While standard internet is included, the price was about 25% higher than comparable hotels. Cody is a nice little town but I do't see it deserving of premium prices. Overall, except for average value for the dollar, it's a very nice hotel.

    5
    « Outstanding! »

After a very long day touring Yellowstone with family we were delighted to arrive at such a great hotel. The staff were very friendly, the rooms are exceptionally well done and clean. This is a class act without paying over the top prices. My granddaughter was very pleased that the pool had been realistically depicted on the website (not always the case).

« Wonderful hotel, would stay there again »

I booked two King bed rooms, to accommodate my husband, myself and my parents. The rooms were very large, comfortable, quiet and clean. Even the hallways are nice to walk through. The hotel is decorated beautifully throughout and the rooms were no exception. The beds were very comfortable and the shower is a really nice walk in. Each floor has its own waiting area with a fireplace and comfortable seating. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. A terrific thing for me was that my husband and parents were really pleased with the hotel too. I highly recommend this hotel and I would stay there again.

    « Best in Cody »

Usually we like staying at a competitors chain of hotels, but stayed this time at the Ivy Inn. We were glad we did. Very nice large rooms that were quiet and well appointed. A very helpful staff (we wanted to connect our iPad to the TV and they had the correct remote to make it happen) that was very friendly. Had both dinner and breakfast the following morning at the onsite restaurant. Usually we shy away from said restaurants and venture out in town for our meals, but the front desk said to give it a shot. We were not disappointed for dinner and so had breakfast there as well. Well recommended.

    « Outstanding hotel »

I have stayed in many Best Westerns all over the world and for many years, but this one is the absolute best. The hotel and rooms are elegant, stylish, and extremely comfortable. We found our room very quiet, too, which demonstrates quality of construction. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Cody.

« We were very impressed with this property! »

Our room was LARGE, comfortable, CLEAN, well-designed and decorated and the property was probably the most attractive Best Western I've ever seen. An on-site restaurant that was more than adequate was very convenient after a long and tiring day in Yellowstone Park. We were very pleased with our experience here.

    « Mixed review »

The property is very nice as others have said. It's clean and upscale, quiet, with comfortable beds and a very nice shower. Our issue was at check-in. We had not made reservations but had checked pricing online. At the desk, we were quoted a price $30 higher, and when we asked why it was higher than online were told "we are not affiliated with that site" even though it was the hotels direct website. The clerk would not match the price but when we asked about an AAA discount, we were quoted the exact price I'd shown him online. $30 difference is an extremely high AAA discount. Overall, it felt like we were buying a used car and it left a bad impression overall.

« Best Hotel in Cody, WY »

The Best Western Premier Ivy Inn & Suites in Cody was the best stay ever in a Best Western Hotel. Very nice rooms, staff very friendly and professional, just an awesome experience. If in Cody, stay at this Hotel!!

    « Vacation Trip »

Nice Hotel, but unfriendly evening desk clerk to the point of being rude! We stayed two nights, the room was very clean upon arrival, however when we returned to the room the second night, we felt like the maid took our tip, made the bed, emptied the trash and was gone. She left no shower rug, didn't replace any of the toiletries or soap. Very noisy AC unit that sounded like a truck being started when it came on, then blew cold air directly on the bed. Which made you cold, then hot after it went off. The hotel lacks those important little things that make a guest feel welcome. We considered being part of Best Western's Rewards program, but after talking with the same night desk clerk, we probably won't stay at Best Western again.

I have stayed in several hotels in Cody over the last 13 years. I selected the Best Western Premier for the first time. The hotel was fair priced, clean and the staff was friendly. A bonus was the free use of the laundry room. The onsite restaurant was a good convenience, however the service and food did not meet expectations.

« Classy Motel in Cody »

great quality appointments, soap, mattress, linens, TV, Keurig coffee, etc. .. 7mgbts WiFi, super clean, spacious .. shower a bit stingy, but we understand why .. first time we have ever given a motel a 10 rating ..

« Not your everyday Best Western »

This is not your every day Best Western. You walk into this lodge and are greeted by an amazing staff with warm scented or I scented towels. The hotel has a lodge feel with beautiful rooms, comfortable beds, up scale bathroom products and common meeting areas where you can curl up with a cup of coffee and chat with your travel companions. I will always stay here on my travels to Cody!

    « Nice »

Room was very clean, bed comfortable. This room was very quiet even though the hotel was full. There was even a cute elephant made from towels to greet me when i arrived. Krupps in room for coffee, also coffee in the lobby in the morning. Fast internet, easy connection. Pool and hot tub very clean! Decor was upscale. Staff was pleasant and helpful.

« Great hotel in Cody »

Not your regular Best Western Hotel. We usually stay at Best Westerns if they are near our destinations and have never had any problems. This Best Western is only a couple years old. Rooms are very big. Very clean and modern hotel. Manager, Will, is always very friendly and helpful. Great guy to be working in that position. Hotel is set up to be very environmentally friendly (green). Great location. Nice pool and workout room. Bar and restaurant inside.

« Great value for a good night's rest - Restaurant not so much »

Stayed at this Best Western Premier hotel for business. It is a beautiful property and location is right across from Buffalo Bill's Museum. This was a business trip so I arrived in the evening. Staff was extremely courteous and went above and beyond. Rooms were well appointed and beds offered a good night's sleep. My only complaint is the restaurant. Food is mediocre and kitchen closes at 7:45pm.

    « Great place »

Stay for night, I was very pleased with the hotel. The decor was nicely updated, rooms were nicely appointed. Pool area was clean and the tempura ture in the pool room was nice and warm. Only negative was the fan for the hvac when it came on was a bit noisy other than than great place to stay would come back.

« Nice place to stay »

The Inn was a very nice place to stay. I have to have 200 characters so I am writing more. Every thing was very nice. I will probably be staying there again. I have to get another 40 characters in. The inn is really nice.

    « A pleasant surprise »

It was very nice place to stay, It was clean and roomy. The staff was very pleasant, dinner and breakfast was good. I would recommend the IVY as a wonderful place to stay. The only down fall is the room rates $ in the summer it is pricey so plan on opening up your wallet wide.

    « Good Hotel »

The computer system was new and it took a long time for them to check me into the hotel. I'm sure once the bugs are worked out it will be seamless. The rooms are clean and the hotel is very beautiful. Comfy beds and pillows. There was only a shower and no tub in my room, though.

    « Great Stay »

I travel to Cody, WY several times a year for work, and look for a comfortable place to stay. This place has all the things I look for: high speed internet, lounge, breakfast, cleanliness, and private atomosphere.

    « hotel was awsome »

the rooms were awesome pool and work out gym were nice to great place to stay for the night. the price was a little high for a military guy but the service was great. the rooms were clean and very big also the bed was great to sleep in.

« Over night in Cody »

Great place to stay! Comfortable beds, nice CLEAN rooms and the pool is awesome! Not to mention the gals at the front desk are great too! My husband and I stayed with our 4 kids and all 4 of them forgot their coats in the hotel room, the next morning the desk clerk called me and had them mailed back to our house! Wonderful service :)

« Very nice but with "little things" »

Gorgeous building and rooms with great service. The heater in our room took a long time to heat the room. The hot tub was cold. The internet took way to long to hook up. 1st world problems, I know but this hotel wasn't cheap to stay at and was quite new so you'd expect things to work a bit better. Would stay again, though.

« Modern, clean, pleasant stay »

Our stay was really quite nice. The hotel was very clean & updated. Our room was quiet, nicely decorated, very large & comfortable with a sitting area, & an incredible new bathroom with a huge walk-in shower. Laundry room was clean & free. The pool & fitness room were both nice & very clean. The staff welcomed us warmly & everyone was very friendly & helpful as well. Dinner at the restaurant was fair but the wait staff were friendly. At the end of our meal, we waited for quite some time for tea. The kind waitress felt bad & gave us a complimentary tea - a thoughtful gesture.

    « Christmas in Cody »

Spent Christmas Eve and Christmas at the Best Western Ivy. Room was very nice and spacious. Loved the two separate rooms. The dinner at restaurant was delicious, and the staff was very pleasant and helpful.

    « Really nice hotel »

Stay on business I had two nights here. Really beautiful hotel. Room was very nice, clean and quiet. Staff were excellent. I wished they would offer the free breakfast. They did have a restaurant attached. Pool and workout room were very good. A must stay....

« Big Place on the Highway - impersonal »

We arrived at 7 pm , the check in process was very unfriendly , we found our way to the rooms , standard for a Best Western , any port in a storm only stay there if this is your thing . The rooms were standard and most front the highway ask for one at the back .

    5
    « A very superior Best Western »

You couldn't tell it was a BW. A brand new hotel, the rooms were spacious, clean and tastefully decorated. The bathroom was awesome, very modern, with a walk-in shower. The indoor pool was great for our kids. I wish I could have spent more nights there.

    « Excellent stay »

Went to Cody for Thanksgiving and chose this hotel because it was centrally placed, near to shops and the huge Buffalo Bill Centre. Although very cold outside the hotel was warm and welcoming with smiling, helpful staff, decorations in the foyer with a warming fire burning. Rooms very clean, large and serviced every day. Breakfast well cooked and presented. The swimming pool and spa lovely and warm. Only complaint was that the bar closed early, but then we were out of season and few people were about at night.

« Get out! This is a Best Western? »

I had been a loyal 'The Cody' hotel customer, but after our company booked my room here last month, I think I found a new Cody fave. Great service, they even upgraded me to a quiet third floor corner room. Love the balconies and fireplace gathering areas on each floor. Great room service - don't miss the homemade chocolate cake as a late night snack! We'll be back!

    « Should be #1 »

Me and my wife stayed at this hotel for 4 nights at the end of July and explored Cody from this base camp. From these exploration I can say definitely this has to be the best hotel in town. It was out of the main drag, so the millions of motorcycles were not as annoying and the crowds were distant, but still close enough to be in walking distance of the museum and other attractions. The hotel is the latest built in Cody and is very nice for it. I found the decorations tasteful and the rooms had all the latest amenities. Room service was spot on and the front desk cordial and helpful. Their are no vending machines, instead you can select drinks and snacks from a larger selection located at the front desk. In short, up scale prices, but upscale service and atmosphere to go with it.

    « Beautiful Hotel »

Very nice motel, clean and well kept. Maintenance was good and design excellent. Energy efficient, all the latest stuff. OK why a 4 star. Desk staff spends the day staring at their cell phones texting each other. I went to the desk 2 times where I had to cough to get attention. Really hard watching staff steal from owners. They were having water problems and I had a cold shower 2 times. You have to look for the restaurant staff. They are in the back doing something. Nice motel, poor management.

    « Worth it! »

Excellent! Great atmosphere and amenities. Keurig machines in the room was a pleasant surprise. The hotel seemed grand in its decor but at the same time warm and welcoming. The rooms were spacious and the beds very comfortable. Will stay again!!!

    « Great hotel »

Stayed here while in Cody on business, very clean, nice mountain feeling, great people. I'd stay here again. Exercise room was a little light, no freeweights or room for floor work, but they do have a nice indoor pool. Free parking, the restaurant is fine, kind of expensive. If I stayed longer I would have eaten somewhere else.

    5
    « Great Stay! »

So you have to pay for what you get in this property but it might seem worth it. In order to stay you have to pay a New York City premium of $300/night. I do say that it is a beautiful hotel with great offerings. We were able to get a suite that that overlooked the mountains on the way to Yellowstone. Wish they offered a breakfast but you must pay $12.99 to eat next door. Would stay again.

    4
« High End Road Hotel »

The negatives here are the space squeezed location, lack of easy/close food options, lax room lighting, and smallish/tight bathroom. The pro's are extremely plush and well equipped rooms for a road hotel. Examples included the TV is wall mounted, light switches glow at night, counters are marble, all fabrics were nicer than usual (for the road). Staff were fine, everything is clean, and wifi is good. Cost was over $225 for one night. For that price this is a 4 star place. If the cost was in the $160ish range then this makes 5 stars from me.

    5
    « Excellent Experience »

One of the nicest hotels I've stayed in for a very reasonable price. I would highly recommend anyone coming through Cody, WY to stay at this location. Its more like a Ritz Carlton than a Best Western.

    5
    « Wonderful Family Atmosphere »

We booked a family reunion in Cody, Wyoming and picked the Ivy Inn. What a great hotel for groups! The design of the building is so open with the three floors being an open floor plan with lounges on each level. Our group met for drinks and conversation many times during our stay. It's also a wonderful space for middle of the night reading so I didn't disturb my roommate. It's beautifully decorated with a feel of the West. We had breakfast at the restaurant each morning and the trout was delicious.

    « Beautiful New Hotel »

We stayed at the Best Western Premier Ivy Inn & Suites for one night in Cody on our way to Yellowstone. The room was lovely, very new and well decorated. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel was a little too far from downtown Cody to walk, but it was a very short drive.

    5
    « Still the best »

Stayed here 2 years ago and came for a second trip. Everything is still in tip top shape. Very happy with our stay. Beds are nice and comfy, nice bathroom with large shower. Nice views from the balcony.

    « Love BW IVY!! »

We have stayed at the Best Western Premier Ivy Inn several times and have always had a great experience!! What a beautiful property!! Highly recommend it & will always stay there when we are in Cody. The rooms are some of the best we've ever stayed in and we travel quite extensivley!!!

« Beautiful hotel with nice extras »

The hotel appears new and is spotless. The rustic charm makes you want to stay at the hotel. The room was large and the beds very comfortable. I would have enjoyed flatter pillows that weren't so puffy but that's a personal preference. The huge walk in shower with a fold down wooden seat is a nice touch, as is the second small sink next to the Keurig coffee machine and microwave. That said, vouchers for free breakfast would have been nice instead of just a 10% discount, which by the way, doesn't apply towards dinner. The food was okay but nothing to rave about. The convenience of not having to go out and find dinner made it worthwhile.

    « Very nice hotel »

This hotel had as an average room a very richly appropriated room. Very comfortable beds and coverings. Bathroom was spacious and very nicely designed. Good location for both downtown or going into Yellowstone

« Premier says it all »

My husband works out of state and we live with and care for my elderly mother so it's nice every once in awhile for the two of us to get away even if it's in our home town. Very nice hotel. Large, comfortably appointed rooms. Great beds and linens. Nice professional and friendly staff and a great value. Was disappointed in the restaurant though. We ate breakfast on two different occasions and were sorely disappointed. I think the waitress we had was new and very young. She dropped off our meal and never came back to the table. Plus the eggs had no flavor (how does that happen??) I would stay here over and over for the room but we'll eat elsewhere.

    5
    « Great Hotel »

One of my favorite hotels, comfy beds, wonderful shower, beautiful hotel. The only think lacking is the restaurant, but the Sunset house, that is also owned by the same people, is just across the street and the food and service can't be beat!

« Great stay at Cody »

My husband, daughter and I stayed at Best Western Premier Ivy Inn & Suites in late August. We all agreed that the lodging there was the best of our trip. The staff was friendly and made great recommendations for meals. Nice there was a bar/restaurant attached. The place was very clean and conveniently located to the shops in downtown Cody.

    « Perfection all around »

This hotel is amazing. From the beautiful room, gorgeous lobby an entertainment areas to the exquisite view and extremely professional and friendly staff. I was driving my father, (who is 92 and extremely hard to please), across country and we stayed at this hotel on the night of his 92nd birthday. He was so impressed with the room we had and the Filet Mignon dinner he was served that he has not stopped talking about it. Thank you all for making that a wonderful night for us. In addition the Cream Pancakes I had for breakfast were delicious. I wish I had asked for the recipe.

    « Great big room »

Had room on the front on first floor. Very comfortable and well appointed. Convenient restaurant in hotel with decent food. Staff person checking me in was vague in instructions for unloading baggage and room location which meant more work than was necessary. Seemed to assume I knew the hotel better than I did as this was my first visit. Would recommend the hotel though.

« Very pleasantly surprised by this Cody hotel! »

I was looking for a hotel outside of the East Yellowstone Park entrance. I booked this hotel mainly because of the pool, wifi, and excellent reviews. It was a little higher priced than some of the smaller, local hotels, but I figured it was worth the price. The room was very nice and the bathroom was amazing. I know that sounds weird, but they went above and beyond on having this hotel seem high end. Big screen TV, fast wifi, 4 pillows on each bed, soft bedding. The check in was super quick and the staff was very nice. The pool and hot tub were great. Highly recommend this hotel.

« You will Love it here »

Nicest hotel in Cody, make sure you make a reservation. Close to downtown, 1/2 block from Buffalo Bill museum, 3 blocks to rodeo. Modern rooms, very clean, friendly staff. Restaurant and bar. You won't be disappointed! (And No I don't work there. )

    5
    « Clean & Comfortable »

This hotel was a treat to stay at during my trip to Cody, WY. I was not able to try the restaurant/bar, but the rooms were delightful. Very clean, quiet and decorated nicely. I love the sliding glass door access...convenient for sure!

    « Top Quality »

Very nice Hotel, Quiet, Clean and very courteous staff. Close to all the things we wanted to do....I would recommend this hotel to all.......To bad all the rest of the Best Western hotels aren't as nice as nice as this one,I wouldn't stay anywhere else.........

Excellent hotel. Comfortable beds. Conveniently located to east entrance of Yellowstone. Enjoyed the hot tub, pool, and fitness center. Will be back during our next trip to Yellowstone. Friendly staff. Nice décor.

    « Feel like a VIP »

Best stay of a 6 day trip. Clean, beautiful, friendly staff, large, well-appointed rooms. Lovely pool and hot tub. Our room had everything you could possibly need. Close to all of the sites, and a mere 50 miles from Yellowstone. We were treated like VIPs. If I ever get to come back to Cody, I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

    4
« Believe the previous reviews- this place is teerific »

I booked 2 nights in a suite strictly on the reviews- I would say, it lived up to expectations. Nice room with great beds and pillows- decent wi fi and nice bathrooms- loved the shower. One thing about the suites- they all front the highway, according to front desk. With the fan on as white noise, it was OK- However during the busy summer, not so sure. Beware light sleepers.

    5
« Kids trip to Yellowstone »

Our family trip to Yellowstone ended in Cody for some relaxing and down time. Our boys really enjoyed the pool. Very quiet hotel, rooms are comfortable. Bar and restaurant are very nice. Walking distance to the museum.

    « Fantastic Hotel!! »

This hotel is a great base for your trip to Yellowstone! Even the outside of the hotel is a great decor.. The hotel was pretty much full the nights we stayed, and I was a little worried about noise, but we never heard anyone else. Rooms were clean and well decorated... The best place we stayed on our entire adventure!!!

    3
    « Beautiful Hotel »

We spent two nights at the Ivy. It was nice. The hotel is decorated very well. The beds were really great. I am not a fan of the walk in shower. The shower head was at the ceiling. It was like taking a shower in the rain. That is just a personal preference and does not take away from the hotel. The only negative that I had is the fan on the ac was extremely annoying.

    4
    « Great newer lodging »

Decided to try after reading others reviews. Excellent new property, nicest best western I've ever stayed at. truly is premier. solid surface bath, upscale beds/bedding. Good service. Restaurant and bar on premises. Highly recommend. Very good value.

    5
    « Very nice hotel »

We actually spent two nights at this hotel, but at different ends of our trip to and from Yellowstone. Each room we stayed in was very clean, looked relatively new, and had extremely comfortable beds. The indoor pool area was nice and clean and was a plus for our 6 and 9 year olds. Our only critique is that given the price of a room it would be nice if this hotel would offer a complimentary breakfast like other Best Westerns offer. Would definitely recommend this hotel if you are planning a trip to Cody or simply need a place to rest on your way to and from Yellowstone like we did.
