Best Western Plus Willmar

the room was very clean and up-to-date. Halls neat and clean. No strange smells. Very clean. everything worked. Just didn't have USB hook ups (forgot my cube). If you have kids the rooms connected to the pool area would be great. If you like dark and quiet at night I would highly recommend requesting NOT to have those types of rooms. Bed was comfortable, but the pillows weren't for me. (I usually bring my own, but decided not to for one night). The place was extremely clean and everything worked. Staff was so nice!!

Clean and friendly, very nice onsite restaurants, warm pool room along with a large hot tub, staff was very helpful and prompt, all staff seemed eager to make sure my stay was good. Overall, a good experience!

Had a poolside room for the kids to swim. There was even a shallow kiddie pool and hot tub. Pool is a bit discolored, stained and in need of a few repairs but overall a nice place to bring the kids for a weekend.

We were actually very impressed with how nice this hotel was for being as far out as it was. The staff was very nice and got us checked in quickly and our room was extremely clean. We wish we would've had the time to check out the bar and grill they had as the food looked very good. Our only complaint was the bed was a little firm.

Rooms were tiny. Bedding smelled like dirty hair even after asking for new bedding. Refrigerator broken. GM replaced refrigerator after 2nd night. The hotel is nice but the rooms are small and old. Needs updating.

Pool was not heated and the staff was rude and arrogant about it when we shared our concerns. The rooms were nice and the beds comfortable. Had we known that we couldn't have a birthday party around the pool area for our 12 family members to celebrate a 3 year old, we would NOT have chosen this hotel.

We stayed one night as we were attending a work holiday party in the event center. Everything with our stay and with our holiday party was awesome! We will keep this venue in mind for future corporate events!

Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean room and comfortable bed and pillows. Was very quiet as well. Having a restaurant attached has fast service, friendly staff, and good food. Always enjoying staying here on business trips.

The staff was very helpful and accommodating. It was nice to have a bar and a restaurant connected, and having the extended pool hours with area to hang out was even better! They were great at putting me in a room close to a door where I could easily bring out my dog, but it wasn't a crappy pet room like you'd expect.

I got stuck in town with all road leading out in any direction having enforced road closures. I was so rattled and a little scared but the man at the front desk was so kind and helped me figure out a few hiccups to make sure o had a warm and safe place to stay. The breakfast is the best I have ever had at a hotel. The pool area was open clean and very relaxing. Very large hot tub, cute kiddie pool, and nice pool with rooms that had view of the area if you wanted to watch your family from there. One of the cleaning staff was wearing a cute elf outfit playing Christmas music and made my unplanned stay alone feel a little more Christmas-y so I didn't feel like I was missing out on Christmas completely. The man at the front desk was so hospitable I wish I knew his name, he deserves very high praise and recognition.

We attended a convention and brought our boys along with us. They enjoyed the pool and ordering wings from the restaurant. The staff was very accommodating and the breakfast was great. We also enjoyed some local shopping and the Christmas lights.

Everything was fantastic there- room, restaurants, breakfast, workout room, cleanliness and friendliness of staff. The one and only issue: the water is REALLY YELLOW!! I've stayed there twice (once in Jan. and now in Oct. for work) and noticed the same kind of disturbing thing. The water is very yellow. The bathtubs were very white and clean themselves, but when filled with just water (no oils or bubbles) for a bath, the water looked pee yellow. Don't know if that's a city water problem for Willmar, MN or a hotel problem, but it was worrisome. I didn't use any of the spigot water to make coffee in the room and didn't use the ice machine. I went out and bought bottled water to drink.

A great hotel in Willmar, MN. Plenty of parking of parking with multiple access doors. Very nice indoor pool area including main pool, kids pool and hot tub. i really like having two restaurant/ bars connected to the hotel. Food and service were great. My guest room was clean and comfortable.

This was a business trip for me. So this was an extended stay for me. The staff are very friendly! ❤️ the overall cleanliness of this hotel is spot on! From the parking lot to the inside the hotel, this facility is CLEAN!

The good parts are the excellent customer service I received from every staff person. For example, when I asked the location of the ice machine someone walked me to it - didn't just point. The breakfast was hot and good with many choices. My only complaint was the noise; the heater/fan in the room was quite noisy as it went on and off all night. In addition, there must be a train nearby because I heard the train horn every few hours.

Stayed over Memorial weekend. Hotel and location great. Nearby hiking and fishing,good variety of breakfast choice. Friendly staff. Ate a Green Mill connected to hotel. Fast and friendly service there also.

I stay at this motel when I'm in Willmar visiting family - usually a minimum of 3 days. On my most recent stay, I had requested a room on the ground floor near an exit. The first night, I realized my room wasn't located in an area that worked very well for me. The front desk was able to move me to a more suitable room that was perfect - even moving my things from the previous room to the new room. I always feel safe at this motel and appreciate having restaurants and the bar on premises. My priorities are safety, cleanliness, onvenience, and comfort. The Best Western in Willmar provides me all of those with the extra benefit of friendly, competent staff.

As I was searching for a hotel in Willmar, this one stood out above all the others. Other reviews indicated a high level of cleanliness and great customer service. This proved all true! The evening we were there was one of nasty, blowing snow, so it was great to be able to get food at the on-site restaurant. We didn't use the pool, but the pool area is lovely.

I recently spent several months at the Best Western Willmar and would not have stayed anywhere else. The staff is outstanding, the breakfast the most varied and best I've had at a hotel and the availability of a restaurant and bar/lounge in the hotel was convenient and a good value.

Clean and quiet place to stay. Have stayed here several times and has always been clean, comfortable, quite, and at a great price. Will stay here again for future visits. Not sure what else to say but apparently I needed some more words to submit, so here you go, more words.

I have stayed here multiple times--pre and post covid and this hotel is always very clean. The staff are very friendly. The hotel is also located very close to several restaurants and area attractions and is very close to the New London Spicer area.

We were in town for our daughters wedding. Overall hotel was good. Breakfast was alright. Nothing fancy. Person working breakfast was friendly & kept area clean. The girl on the front desk in the morning was very friendly & helpful. The person on the 2nd shift was very young & needed more training. The day we were leaving it had rained pretty hard that morning and water was leaking into the bathroom. My wife was getting ready so we could leave and had to finish blow drying here hair in the bedroom area for fear of getting electrocuted. Let them know at the front desk about the issue and they acted like it was no big deal. Also the internet there is not good. very slow

Opened refrigerator and water poured out onto floor with mold and bits of food, inside had moldy areas. Front desk did send housekeeping promptly, but they put refrigerator shelves on the floor after cleaning them & before returning back into fridge so I ended up cleaning them again on my own. Bed appeared to be clean sheets, but black hair found under sheets when opened. Old French fries found on carpet between bed and night stand. Lighting in room was very dim, but afraid of what I might've found if it was brighter. Enjoyed lobby tables outside restaurant to visit with others somewhere other then dirty room or loud pool area. Unfortunately every time the door from employee office behind front desk opened, you'd get a whiff of marijuana. Went to lobby to get coffee at 6:15am and was yelled at by employee who rudely shouted,"breakfast isn't until 7, that coffee is from yesterday so you can wait til 7!" Needless to say, we left early and didn't care about not getting a refund for 2nd night. I just wanted to get out of there.

This is a busy hotel but had two restaurants/lounges attached and has the bigger pool in the immediate area. Check is slow and room was not ready at check in so do not count on being able to check in on time

This is a nice clean hotel with the basic amenities. The pool area is nice to have a kiddie pool, adult pool, and hot tub. The pool was freezing when we were there but the hot tub was a nice 95 degrees, so we had the kids swim there instead. The room was small but nicely decorated. My main complaint would be the sheets... Everytime you toss and turn it sounded like you were sleeping on a plastic bag. Overall this was a nice place to crash for the night, but I wouldn't want to stay much longer. Breakfast is still grab and go, but they did have breakfast sandwiches and egg bowls that could be warmed up in the room.

We stay in this hotel when we travel home. We like the fact that they are pet friendly. When have stayed we were given a main floor room, close to an entrance door. The hotel is clean, the beds wonderful and it has two nice restaurants attached. There is another hotel almost attached,, so this leaves a great opportunity for rooms and good convenient food. I own a tour company, but have never traveled in this area with one of my groups. I would certainly recommend this hotel for groups, events, reunions, retreats whatever along with just a great get-away for anyone.

This hotel was quite nice with the added bonus of two attached locations for food and drink. I did not go to the restaurants for personal reasons (short stay), but I appreciate that the option was there. They also had good amenities. The pool and "gym" were open for use.

We were staying here with family to celebrate Easter and both the staff from the hotel and the staff at the Green Mill went above and beyond for our family to make sure we had a place and a hot meal to share for our Easter dinner. We had a great time!

Absolutely wonderful staff at the hotel and at the Green Mill. I cannot express enough how comfortable they all made a fairly large group of us feel when mourning the loss of a sibling. We did not have the opportunity to use the second Bar & Grill but heard good things about it.

Was in a car accident and needed an overnight stay IMMEDIATELY. Best Western really helped out and everyone was super friendly. They stayed open later to allow us to check in near midnight and gave us a later checkout so we could figure out the carseat situation for my kids. I cannot thank them enough for being understanding and sincere. Also, they allow pets which was extremely convenient and helpful.

Everyone was so helpful. We had a family funeral in the area so a lot of my family stayed at this hotel and everyone enjoyed all the amenities including a great breakfast every morning, 2 restaurants, bar area, swimming pool all without leaving the facility. They also provided us with an area to get together as a group. Room was very clean and that's the most important thing to me. Would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone and would not hesitate to stay here again.

The staff was very friendly and very helpful. They made sure we got everything that we needed in a reasonable amount of time. The rooms were clean and well maintained. This hotel is in a very nice location in town.

This was a very well run business, with a staff on top of its game. Rooms were very comfortable and clean and a smiling and helpful staff. All the things that I would look for in a stay at a hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel. In fact if you are thinking of a conference event this is where i would have it held. Food was incredible and service during our convension was impecable. I stay here often in Willmar to attend Jr Hockey games for my son. All staff that I have encountered are excellent. The breakfast choices change each day of the weekend and they are all good! The bedding/linens are comfortable and the kids love the pool and hottub!

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. No one came to my room to clean. I actually set out my breakfast tray in the hallway and it was still there when I checked out 2 days later. Also when using the bathroom in my room, I found a flea on the bathroom floor. I was so disgusted and had that creepy feeling that if I found one in the bathroom, Where else are they in y room, Because there isn't always just one. Unfriendly staff at check in. I was so rushed because other people where behind me. I felt like cattle being pushed through. Not happy with this Hotel. The only good thing I have to say is that the Breakfast was really good. And the breakfast attendant was the only nice person there. Will Stay else where next time.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would visit again. The rooms were fine, we had pool side on the first floor. The pool area is very large and open, which is nice. It wasn't too hot or stuffy and the ease of access was great. There is a gate around the entire pool with entrances on all 4 sides. There was a large pool with different depths, a hot tub, and then a small kiddie pool that was probably 2 feet deep. It was awesome that there were two restaurants attached (Green Mill and Ruff's sports bar) - that's a selling point for anyone, especially those with a hockey team and doesn't want to travel alll over to eat when they are running between 4+ games for the weekend. My only complaint was that the rooms themselves were very dry. It was hard to sleep because I was waking up so much to drink water. There is no ventilation to turn on for a shower so it gets really hot in the bathroom until you open the door and let it dry up - however it doesn't help with the dryness of the room. In some of our teammates rooms the vent that is in the bathroom is freezing and you could see your breath when you would stand next to them. That was weird since you couldn't turn a fan on. Anyways, overall we would visit again for the pool area and convenience of the restaraunts being on location.

Nice modern hotel with clean and updated rooms. Very friendly staff. They opened breakfast early on Sat. for our group of 15 people and breakfast was pretty decent for a hotel style meal. Also enjoyed eating at Greenmill and the sports bar attached to the hotel, very convenient and good service there as well. Pool area looked nice but had lots of loud kids. Would stay here again.

Hotel was very clean. Check in was quick and easy. Stayed one night. The rooms are nicely updated. Bed was quite hard. Pool area was decent. Not a person in it. There are 2 restaurant options for you to eat at.

Our stay was good. The breakfast was ok. The Green Mill pizza was the best. The sleeper sofa in our room was very uncomfortable. We bought our toy poodle with and she was so welcomed. The lady we had for housekeeping was very helpful.

We stayed for a wedding in Willmar Minnesota. It was very convenient attending the reception in the same hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful, rooms clean with everything you needed - everything worked. Continental breakfast was really good with many more choices than most hotels. Didn't eat in the restaurants, but was told they were really good as well. We would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Room was very clean and housekeeping was right there when we needed them. Excellent employee's and always helpful! Manager went out of her way to help us with getting into a larger room with our extended stay. I would recommend friends and family to stay!

I have stayed here the past two years while visiting in MN and would highly recommend this stay. The rooms and the entire facility have been updated in the past two years, and it is conveniently located near a major highway.

This site has a pool and a hot tub. The room was perfect. The internet service was running well. The poolside room that we were in was perfect. The sound from the pool did bleed into the room, but overall - the stay was wonderful.

Excellent staff, both at check in and out. Breakfast, one of the better with plenty of selections and everything was hot. Room was clean and the bed comfortable and the appliances in the room were working and clean.

This facility is great for families or business. Centrally located and it offers all the amenities of larger hotels. Very clean and the staff was very attentive. Breakfast has a good variety and is actually hot!

Staff was really great and helped us with all of our needs. Also opened the breakfast 30 minutes early for us to accommodate a early baseball game which I thought was really nice. Also provided a blanket in about two minutes when requested.

I stayed at the Best Western Plus in Willmar for the 1st time & absolutely loved it. The property is well maintained & well appointed. The entire staff was friendly & truly cared about our experience. The room temp& water temperature was easily controlled which is not always the case in hotels & the bed was so comfortable! Breakfast was also nice with a wide variety of items & a super friendly, attentive attendant. Thank you to the staff for a wonderful stay!

We stayed here for one night and were very pleased. The rooms are clean and well lagged out. What really impressed us was how quiet it was. You would hardly think anyone was there! The breakfast was very good, waffles, scrambled eggs and ham. It seemed reasonably priced for this type of motel. Checking in and out was a breeze. The only thing I would suggest, and this is minor, is to upgrade the pillows as they seemed a bit small, but the bed was very comfortable.

Stayed here for a hockey game. There was a blizzard that weekend. Nice hotel. Rooms were big and clean, well layed out. Morning breakfast were great and the staff was very friendly. Didnt use the indoor pool but we used the gym 3 times. It was small but had 3 pieces of cardio equipment. Clean and equipment was kept up real well.

This hotel offers great service and rate is ok. Very helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast host David is awesome! I was greeted by name when I checked in and the staff was very knowledgeable. It is very convenient to have 2 dinner options on site.

This hotel is conveniently located to restaurants and main highways through the area. It is easy to find and is one of the newer hotels in the area. Hotel is clean, staff are friendly, décor is esthetically pleasing.

I stayed one night while visiting family. Had a pool side room but didn't use the pool. There was no disturbing noise into the room from those using the pool. The room was clean and all the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating in every way. There are two restaurants accessible in the motel. We had drinks and an appetizer at the sports bar - again, excellent service, food, and value.

My wife and I stay one night to meet with friends prior to a family gathering in Olivia. We frequent Willmar often and this was our first stay here. I was very impressed with the overall hotel property. Lobby and check in was easy with a breeze. Room was a king with chair. Room was very clean. Bed was very comfy, only thing I would recommend is more pillows or bigger pillows. Breakfast was very good, lots of selections and very clean area. We met with our fiends at one of the two restaurants connected, the Green Mill. Will stay again.

My colleagues and I had a two night stay for business. I was pleasantly surprised that the hotel is newer and well maintained. My room was clean and well appointed. The bed was quite comfortable. Free breakfast was nothing special but it was hot. Coffee, that's a different story. It doesn't have to be Starbucks quality but there should be some flavor. Overall I was happy with our stay especially since we could eat dinner onsite.

I arrived around ten at night. Their property was well lit and inviting. The lobby was clean and check in was painless. The room was easy to get to. It had a lot of amenities to take advantage of. A compatent, curteous staff.

We were in a very small room. Because we were there for a wedding, we had to get dressed up in that room. There was very little space. We moved the desk chair to the hotel door while getting dressed and during the night so we wouldn't trip over it. No full length mirror like other rooms had, only the bathroom one. Otherwise the room was immaculate and breakfast was great.

Granddaughter wedding along with a vacation trip. Two nights here. People very friendly, service great. Good bar,lounge with good food. Would highly recommend this property for your stay. Rooms super clean good internet, all around great place.

Stay at the Hol Inn next door. Much higher quality hotel.This property is outdated; walls are paper thin, and I had to go offsite to get any reception bars even on their wifi.Sheets are poly blend & there was a musty, wet carpet smell in the room.

It was a little expensive but well worth it. The pools were great, nice rooms, there are two restaurants and the food was very good. Service all around was very good. The hotel and restaurant staff were very nice and accommodating.

The handicapped room had nice bathroom amenities. The breakfast was very good with lots of selections. Another party traveling with us stayed on the side of the hotel next to the Convention Center, and found that room too noisy due to unruly people at an event next door.

We recently stayed at the Best Western Plus for a conference. Our king room with pullout sofa was satisfactory for our family - though a very tight fit for 5 people (we also had a crib brought in for our little one). Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was hot and always ready for us, lots of choices! Staff was phenomenal. My kids enjoyed the pool area! If we can find a bigger room, we will be back next year!

Our group stayed here for 5 nights while working on a mission trip building project. The accommodations were comfortable for us. The breakfast changed a little each day and offered a wide selection of hot and cold choices. The rooms were nice and the beds comfortable. All the employees were spoke with were very friendly.

Overall the hotel was fine, the employees were great and location was fine. The rooms were very average and crammed. The rooms that open up the pool are fine but are very loud, the sliding glass door in very thin. The hotel staff was very nice to our group of 12 year olds boys and families. Overall a nice stay.

My wife and I stayed at the Best Western Plus for a recent wedding. We found the staff to be friendly and the bed was comfortable. I didn't give a higher rating because honestly we just stayed at the hotel for a night after the reception. If we stayed a little bit longer, I would probably have more to say about the hotel.

This was a very pleasant and convenient place to stay. had a few drinks and dinner at ruffs. the room was clean and neat. A good value for the dollar. I will stay again this year and any other time I have to stay in Willmar.

The Quality of service at check-in was not acceptable. Room was not completely cleaned with debris and papers on the bathroom floor upon check-in. We enjoyed the lounge/bar but the young man serving was not properly trained or knowledgeable of the bar beers available from the taps. He needed more training before waiting tables

Enjoyed our night at Willmar Best Western! Fine, well kept facility run be personable staff. Good restaurant on site and great pool area for kids to relax and play. Beds comfortable and quiet environment even tho we had a large group.

The overall stay was wonderful, just would like softer beds. The staff was so helpful and nice. Rooms were clean and comfy. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others who are planning on coming to the willmar area.

The main pool was cold. The Kiddie pool and hot tub were nice but 2 feet of water for 4 and 6 year-old kids was not a lot of fun. Staff said it should have been 95 degrees in the pool but nowhere close to that. Room was clean and breakfast was standard continental breakfast. Staff was nice.

Look's like they tried to clean this hotel up and gave it a new sign but the smell and grime of the hotel could not be covered up. Staff was nice and the reason for a 2 instead of 1. The attached bar had a different clientele than we had expected and the lobby bathroom was shared with the bar.

Everything very very good. Very nice pool area. Restaurant/bar was very good and courteous. Breakfasts were very good with many selections to choose from. Kids had a ball in pool and hot tub. Very easy location to get too. Just an all around very pleasant stay in Willmar.

We checked in and were taken care of by a great guy at the front desk (didn't catch his name, but he was a redhead - how many can there be??). Room was clean and roomy. We had a convention that lasted a couple of days and the hall was always set up and we were asked numerous times each day if the staff could do anything else. On our last day there, we were approached by the check-in desk supervisor asking how our stay was. We told her we were positively delighted and look forward to our group returning in the future. She said to make sure we email her or her boss and let them know.

The hotel staff was very friendly and nice. Parking process was a little confusing, but the reception people helped me. The coffee in the lobby ran out by 7:00am - it would be nice if they could keep eye on the pot!

Excellent overall. Positives are all over the place. Good internet- great food- clean room. Extra WARM blanket- hangers in the closet- accommodating staff on all levels- The only negative was the tiny bathroom in the king room, but we managed. Over all, this is the second stay at this hotel and I would do a third.

The free breakfast was very good with a lot of variety. The in-house restaurant is convenient with decent food. The hotel location is easy to get to and a close drive to everything in Willmar.

Good place to stay in Wilmar - clean - quiet - Breakfast one of the best - they changed daily but always have different fare instead of the same old Waffles - Ceral and Powdered Eggs and precooked sausage The morning I was there was breakfast tacos with Potatoes and ground beef plus -corned beef hash

This stay was for business. Obviously, no place is required to be as nice as at home, but this one comes pretty darn close. The room was extremely large, the bed comfortable and bathroom amenities were well stocked. Highly recommend it!

Our stay was awesome. We had a family wedding at the conference center and that was fantastic. Our room was a king with a pull out couch, which was comfortable and room was very nice. Beds were great. The front desk personnel were awesome and so helpful.

Great place to stay! I would bring my own pillows with next time as the bed and pillows were not comfortable for me or my husband. Great pool area for my 14 year old. Breakfast was served with a smiling employee every morning! Service was excellent!

Rooms were really comfortable with updates. Breakfast was outstanding with the food and choices, but a small breakfast area. Great pool area with an 8' deep pool, hot tub and kiddy pool. Overall stay was very good and I would stay here again!!!

Hotel was clean and nice. Pool area looked nice (didn't have time to use it). Breakfast buffet was better than some - more than just donuts and toast. There is a bar/restaurant which is a nice feature.

Hotel was fairly clean and descent. The king bed seemed very old and very uncomfortable though. Breakfast needs improvement! We've had much better at other hotels for less cost. Ruffs restaurant had great lunch and cocktails. Didn't use the pool and hot tub but it looked descent.

Motel was very nice. Would stay here again. Lots of room around the pool area. Free breakfast and staff at the front desk was very nice. Willmar looks like a nice place to visit. Lots of motels in the same area.

Overcharged because I was misled about checkout time and manager was rude at check out. Broken drawers in dresser and they wouldn't stay shut which made it hard to walk past it, made for narrow walk way. Toilet seat was also loose, which really creeps me out.

I called the Holiday Inn and tried to get a cooperate rate since I will be staying in town 4 times a month for a long time. HI told me they have no corporate rates and to call Best Western. These two hotels are owned by the same group. Best Western is very clean and nice. Nice hotel restaurants.

We enjoyed our stay. The room was convenient and clean and easy to reach from the parking lot. The pool seemed very clean.. Everything was as expected. We will return to Best Western. There were problems with the rain but that could not be avoided.

My husband and I recently stayed at this hotel and were pleasantly surprised. Everything appeared new and our room/bed was very comfortable. We had dinner on the patio at the Green Mill and the food was excellent. I would highly recommend it!

We stay here several times a year because we have family in the area. It is a very nice area within walking distance of food, convenience store and golfing. The hotel is very nice. Great breakfast. The staff is super friendly. Only negativ is the maid service can be spotty but management has always taken care of the problem immediately. Samantha is ALWAYS amazing! She goes way beyond her duties...professional and helpful!!

Very nice place my Son and daugther in law had there wedding and reception here. Was nice to do both at the same place and no one had to travel. Very nice pool and hot tub.. grandkids had a blast!!.. Rooms were very clean and beds very comfortable. Had joining rooms which was perfect for our stay.

We stayed at the best western this week. We have been a few times now. It's a good hotel. Clean rooms, nice bath and body works toiletries. There's an indoor pool and hot tub. But what sets them apart is their customer service. The breakfast crew checked in on us multiple times to ensure we had what we needed. We had some special asks due to the size of our group, and they were so accommodating. Just exceptional service. If you need a hotel in Willmar, MN, stay here.

the hotel is OK. Staff are efficient and friendly. Our room was a little weird since it was set up for people in wheelchairs. Since that doesn't apply to us, it wasn't all appreciated. The bathtub was slightly problematic with one feature being a low shower head. Breakfast had some nice features but, for me, was nothing too much out of the ordinary.

Our king room had nice furnishings and what looked like, a new bathroom. The mattress was very comfortable. The attached Green Mill restaurant was very good. The location is off the highway, so no traffic noise. Full breakfast selection also. Also had a flat screen TV, microwave and refrig.

The Best Western Plus is a beautiful, clean, quiet hotel with a hot breakfast included in the rate. The customer service at the hotel was excellent from check in to check out. Another bonus, two restaurants, the Green Mill and Ruff's Wings & Sports Bar, are attached to the hotel. We had a great dinner experience at the Green Mill. The Best Western Plus has done everything right!

Our room was comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was good but nothing special. The breakfast area was clean and neat. Overall this was one of the nicer BW that I have stayed in and will keep it on my list if traveling in the area again. While I didn't use the pool, I did walk thru the area on the way to breakfast and was impressed. It would be a great stop if traveling with kids. The hotel was just a short distance off the highway too.

We stayed here for 2 nights. Our room was very clean, the bed evenly firm on both sides, and the showers hot. The staff was very friendly and helpful and checking/out was a snap. Our room location was very quiet. We hopped into the hot indoor spa after a da of cycling the area and soothed our tired legs. We will stay here again when we return to explore more of Minnesota.

Kimmy was amazing! She was very helpful at breakfast. She was always smiling. Even tho someone spilled syrup all over the counter she was right there to clean it up. She worked around everyone trying to get breakfast at once. Great hotel. Will definately return.

i do not have anything to say. We slept well. It is a good motel.i do not think I need to write anymore. I have had another long day of driving, and I do not want to be doing this. What else do I need to say. Motels are expensive, and this review upis way too long.

Have stayed at Best Western Plus prior and it was another very satisfactory visit. Loved the special touch of the infused water when we arrived. That truly hit the spot. Great breakfast--could used a little more seating, especially on weekend. But great over all stay.

very convent quiet and nice good amenities lots of places to eat close by and a lot of outdoor places to go and visit. breakfast is good and coffee and juice bar are excellent. Lots of fishing and lake's are close to the hotel easy to find.

The rooms were nice and clean. The bed was comfortable. They have a very nice Sports Bar attached to the motel. We had a pool side room so we did not have windows facing the outside. The only complaint that we have is that the tornado sirens went off and no one notified us of this nor were we instructed where to go.

This was a great hotel to stay in. The rooms are spacious and they have a great breakfast in the morning. So hard to choose what I wanted to eat. The restaurant was also great and had a lot of variety of meals to choose from. Our waiter was funny and fit right in with our group.

My experience here was completely fine. The location was good, the bed was comfortable, and the food at the attached restaurant was above average. That being said, however, I did not enjoy my stay. The hotel itself feels dark and the rooms only have lamps with the old style CFL bulbs that cast a blue light on everything. The pool was only open until 10:30 on weeknights, which is understandable considering it's in the middle of the hotel, but I'd still like some more relaxation time. Additionally, everything is so loud! And I didn't even have a poolside room. Every time I moved in bed, even a little bit, my headboard banged against the wall, which I can't image was pleasant if I had a neighbor. Also, starting as early as 8am, the hotel staff was walking up and down the halls, conversing loudly and with very loud walkie-talkies. I don't blame them for this–they need to do their jobs–I just think the rooms should be better insulated for sound. Like I said, not a terrible experience, but I'd choose another place next time.

Stayed for a Friday night - ugh. You'd figure a pool side room would be nice - nay nay! This place has their swimming pool open until 11:30 on weekends. With needing to be up for work super early the next morning - the pool room made that near impossible. Typically you have adult hours as it gets later in the night - but it was PACKED with young screaming toddlers and pre-teen kids splashing in the pools up until 11:00. Made sleeping near impossible with all the echo yelling right out the window. Children need to be curtailed or hours reduced for those who want to sleep (which is why we go to a hotel anyways, right)? Other reviews are right though - this place has a great breakfast spread. Cheese biscuits, eggs, sausages, etc. It was the highlight of the stay. Room was well decorated and clean for the most part. We never felt dirty or uncomfortable in the building. That's an important thing to consider. I stay in hotels quite frequently for work, and make it a point to report a review on every hotel I stay in - both good and bad. It's my way of giving back to the TripAdvisor community - I report accurately.

Nice place to stay with lots of amenities. The social experience is very good and close to a nice golf course. Staff was friendly and worked hard. The air vent in the pool room was significantly dirty, but other than that, seemed pretty well kepts up.

Very quiet. Nice hotel they have two restaurants on site . We ate at the green Mill it was good moderately priced The bed was very good . The price was a little high for a small town but it's clean and very safe

Have stayed at this location multiple times over the last two years. Each stay has been very pleasant. Clean, quiet, nice rooms! Highly recommend staying here. Have also dined at the attached sports bar/wings restaurant. Good food, too!

The rooms are clean. I had a poolside room with 2 queen beds and re had room to move around. Though this was initially a business stay, I had family join me so grandkids could use the pool. The kids enjoyed the pool area which was clean. We appreciated that there is a gate around the pool are that the kids were not able to open without the help of an adult. We requested a late check out and they had no problem with our request.

The hotel hosted the wedding party and they were very welcoming and helped us in any way they could! We were a rowdy group but the bar was happy to have us. The rooms were clean and well stocked with a fridge and a very nice bathroom. The kids enjoyed the great pool area as well that was very clean!

I had to stat for about 3 weeks for work. The room was clean, but just your basics. I did have my pet cat with me. It was very convenient that they allow pets. Good value though. I liked that there were two restaurants on site to choose from. Friendly staff.

I have given trainings in Willmar before and stayed at the Days Inn. This was so much better. Very nice, clean updated rooms, and it was quiet. They had everything I needed for my brief stay, even a small fridge. They provided a light breakfast in the morning. I would stay there again.

I stayed at the Best Western Plus in Willmar, MN for a month due to traveling for my job. All of the staff was very friendly and made my stay a very welcoming one. I had issues with another hotel prior to my arrival. When I arrived back to my room after work David, the GM, was there to make sure that everything was in place for me. Simon and Samantha are awesome!! Anything that I needed while staying here, it was provided. The housekeepers even respected my privacy. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. The tv was pretty big and I even had premium channels which was nice. Thank you guys for making my stay great!

If you want the most comfortable no b.s. place on Willmar this is it. Everything is updated and clean. Beds are very comfortable. Have good business center/Internet. The bar and restaurant attached to hotel is the best in Willmar. Those seeking 24 hour food there is a Casey's directly across the street.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Excellent staff, including Samantha at the front desk. Comfy room, nice breakfast. Bonus - you can walk right into the Willmar Conference Center. A couple of things that could make stay even better - I like firmer pillows and a full-length mirror in the room would be great.

Stayed in the Best Western Plus, Willmar, MN for a conference and it was a very comfortable stay. No issues, and great staff. Room was clean and well stocked with towels, etc.. The staff did a great job and taking care of our conference which used most of the rooms. Overall great experience!

Everything is good about this hotel except they must let pets stay there. I came home with at least 20 flea bites on me. Keep your luggage off the floor if you stay there and if you get room 239 ask to be moved to a room that has never had pets.

The Best Western Plus and Willmar Conference Center in Willmar, MN are two of the best facilities my group has ever used for our annual conference. The hotel location is very convenient to the conference area. The staff is very flexible and accommodating. They were extremely attentive to our needs. Our group normally chooses a different location annually but we are strongly considering returning to Willmar next year. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone who is planning a conference, large meeting or gathering.

The Staff of this hotel it top notch. I was able to check in early for my convention & change & freshen up! I was there for a convention & the staff was good that they were able to take care of all of her food allergies & make us super comfortable! I wish I would have had more time to enjoy the pool & spa area which looked super clean & inviting for this event!

I was just there for a convention and enjoyed the stay. The room was comfortable and was able to get around well. The food was pretty good that we had. The only minus I noticed was very chaotic atmosphere in the attached bar and grill when I checked in and needed to grab some food quick.

The hotel experience was good but the attached restaurant experience was not. Losing a reservation for 12 for someone who is staying at their attached hotel is not acceptable. Eventually we were all seated but waiting with children under 2 years old got to be a hassle for them and us. The staff seemed to be very rushed and disorganized and could plainly see that they were under staffed.

Our family had a large reunion this summer at this hotel. Very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff. Good breakfast. Good pool facilities for all the kids. Stopping in for a Saturday night stay, we got through reception quick and they accepted all of my BW Travel Cards! the room is updated and well kept. We were in town for a wedding and conveniently, this place is attached to the events center where the wedding reception was held. There was a nice spread for breakfast. I found a hair on my plate and thought it was mine, but it was baked into the eggbake and much longer than mine... not what I typically order for breakfast. Great place, average stay this time around.

Upon entering the lobby, you could see this motel is well kept! Very nice and updated. I kind of call these motels old school with the rooms surrounding a big pool area in the middle. A very nice pool area! Good sized pool and even better sized whirlpool. Plenty places to sit. Pool side room was very nice- all updated. Comfy bed. Fridge & microwave and big flat screen tv. Only complaint was air conditioner vent blows on bed closet to unit. Should have some kind of deflector. A good breakfast was had the following morning. All employees met were very pleasant. Will stay here again when in area!!!

From the beginning planning a year ago through out the GWRRA MN & ND 2016 District Rally this has been a very smooth process. The staff at this hotel was there all of the time to answer and grant any requests we had. The hotel is a great venue from the rooms to breakfast to the banquet room we used as our gathering/eating place. I would recommend Best Western Plus, Willmar, MN for any event no matter how large or small.

I was working in the area and stayed at this Best Western because I always use Best Western when I can to earn free nights. This Best Western was typical of others, a good nights stay. There are also 2 restaurants attached to the hotel for dining convenience. Not much else around unless you go down 1st in Willmer.

I highly recommend the Best Western Plus located in Willmar MN. Everything met my expectations with the exception of some of the breakfast items. Very clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff was very friendly.

My husband and I stayed at this Best Western Plus for a dog trial. It was a pretty busy place, because they were hosting a Gold Wing Roadster Rally. Some of the staff members were really approachable and friendly, but others were a little standoffish. The breakfast was good both days with nice fresh fruit. We had a nice room with great access to areas on the site to take the dog for a potty break. The grounds were neat and clean.

Very nice location for meetings/conferences. Friendly and helpful staff. Room was very nice with a comfortable chair to sit in for reading, plus another chair at the desk for working on the computer. Very nice pool, although we didn't use it. Green Mill Restaurant has the best pizza, plus a variety of other options!

We were there for a conference and the room was very good, with a refrigerator and microwave. It was very convenient to get to the conference center attached to the hotel. The complimentary hot breakfast met our needs well.

We were here for a baseball tournament and the Best Western Plus was a perfect place for families and busy baseball kids. The pool area was wonderful, rooms were nicely decorated and clean. Note handicapped rooms are a bit small but we made it work for our family. Great to have 2 restaurants on site for the teams to eat at and we had no issues seating a large party in these areas. The only feedback I have for the hotel is when so many teams are staying please keep up on breakfast food for the boys and overstaff your breakfast area in the a.m. The boys don't have time to wait for more food to be cooked as they need to be at the fields on time. Otherwise our stay was perfect!

Helpful staff for our daughter's wedding. Very friendly and were able to answer all our questions. Everything worked like clock work. Even maintenance stepped in to help solve a problem. Would recommend this venue for any celebration.

I was in town for business , the staff here are very pleasant. The room was very nice and clean. The bed was comfortable. They have two restaurants attached so I didn't need to drive around looking for a place to eat. Their complementary breakfast was good. If you stop in for business or pleasure this is the place to stay.

Usually stay at the Holiday Inn Express when in Willmar but this time chose to stay here this time. I was in Awe of the front desk and how warmly I was greeted throughout my 3 day stay. Janeen was truelly the nicest front desk counter person any Hotel could ever dream of having. Room cleanliness was 5 star and the little notes greeting me personally was a nice touch! I'm in business for myself and enjoy being treated so family like when away. Hats off to management for hiring So Well! I will be back!!!!!

Nice hotel. Clean, quiet rooms. Friendly staff. We like going to Ruffs for drinks and food. Lots of TV's, all with sports! Live music on Fridays (on the patio when nice). Didn't use the pool area, but it looked nice.

We are planning an event at this hotel during summer 2016. The event planning staff and general manager have been super to work with. This is a motorcycle rally and we have outside as well as inside activities which they been great in arranging space etc. for us. I would definitely recommend this site, Best Western Plus, Willmar Conference Center for anyone planning any type of event.

Easy check in and good room. Room and bath were clean. Bed was comfortable. Wifi in room was very iffy. Breakfast is average at best. Good variety of items with ability to make waffles a nice touch. Hot items of cheese omelettes one morning and egg mixture burritos the other were not even average. Proximity to lounge and good restaurant a real plus. That along with a good pool area bumps the hotel into the average range.

The front desk staff, kitchen, housekeeping, ect. all went above & beyond to make our stay exceptional! Fun for young & old, pool, great breakfast included. Rooms were very nice, added touch of housekeeping with a personal note.

The motel is located on the edge of Willmar. The conventions facilities are very nice and comfortable along with a pool and fitness room. The room was clean and spacious along with a good TV. The breakfast was OK, eggs, bacon, bagels,ect.

Planning and executing a convention at the Willmar Conference was met with excellence. Our convention team and attendees were provided with support from the visitors bureau, the hotels, catering and restaurant areas. From management to support staff every one worked diligently and went above and beyond expectation.

Good place to meet in Wilmar. Has all the amenties and family friendly. The Green Mill restuarant was well decorated and had great choices. The room was kind of small but the TV lineup was better then some other more expensive places I've been to. Decent spot for meetings and business. Worth a stay.

We had a great experience with every aspect, breakfast, checkin staff, check out, clean, orderly and polite. we will be back. The bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet which is important for my wife. the bathroom was well stocked and clean , when we arrived it was all so nice and neatly arranged in our room that i did not want to mess it up.

I was recently at Best Western Plus in Willmar for a 2-day convention. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. I have to give kudos to a few that I experienced who went above and beyond. Tim Mattern (I'm not even sure of his position) was amazing. He helped me with the technical help I needed to get the audio/visual ready for the conference. He seemed to show up when I needed him without me even calling him. If I did text him, he was there in a flash. He also was serving coffee, clearing tables, moving chairs, whatever and wherever he was needed he was there....with a smile. He never appeared frazzled and yet he was everywhere helping. The food was excellent!! All the meals were great, but the lasagna was the best I have ever had. I found out his name was Monty. Janeen at the front desk was extremely helpful and always friendly. The Holiday Inn Express is somehow connected and when I needed some assistance from them they were also very kind and helpful. If you are visiting Willmar or need a place to hold a convention, I highly recommend this location. Even if it is just for a family gathering, they will take wonderful care of you and any needs you may have.

This hotel is recently updated, however there's no mistaking it used to be a Holiday Inn. The rooms are clean and comfortable for the most part. The beds are on the firm side. If you're a light sleeper, avoid poolside rooms. Staff is friendly and helpful, however they seemed a little short staffed during heavy check in and check out times.

This hotel has all you are looking for. Attached places to eat, pool, exercise facilities, and best of all, clean rooms and friendly staff. I was here for business, but for summer travel, great location. Close to many lakes, and plenty of things to do in the area.

We stayed with a large group for a hockey tournament and all staff were very accommodating and understanding. Rooms were nice and clean. Amenities were great. We had a poolside room that was very convenient for our group. Very nice pool area set up well for groups. Janeen was very helpful and very gracious to allow for us to have a late checkout because we played a game after regular scheduled checkout and didn't want to leave dog in the car during our game. I would definitely stay here again in the future and would recommend to others.

Hotel room was nice and clean. Large king bed with fridge, microwave, and coffee pot. Has a Green Mill and Ruff's restaurant all connected. Easy access in and out of the hotel. Has a decent size pool and a larger hot tub. There is also a small "kiddie pool". Staff is friendly and will answer any of your questions.

Just beyond impressed with the flexibility of this place. Have had multiple changes in my schedule that were beyond my scope and control, the management and front desk was willing to accommodate me coming and going. Most importantly, I arrived early to Willmar due to an impending blizzard. The lady up front, Janeen, checked me right into the hotel with no questions after telling her my story. I usually am not one to have such high praise for a hotel, but these guys are good people.

We made an online reservation at a different motel but when we went to check in we found the other motel totally unacceptable. We left the other motel hoping to find a room that same night. When we walked into the BW and explained our unfortunate situation Janeen was more than understanding and found us a wonderful room, and even upgraded us. The room was lovely and clean. This will be our go to motel when we go back to visit family in the Willmar area!

This hotel was perfect as had everything we needed, ie restaurant, breakfast, hi speed internet, free parking, pool, hot tub, comfortable beds, etc. Conveniently located right off the highway. A couple miles from shopping center.

We enjoyed our stay. Everything was accommodating and the food was great. We would recommend this hotel to any of our friends to stay here. The staff was very kind and professional and the place was very well clean and warm. Thank you for business and we hope that it continues. we had an enjoyable and restful stay at your hotel. We had a delicious meal and breakfast. Our family enjoyed using the pool for relaxing and recreation. We had good service with the internet and had good television reception. We had a good breakfast. The amenities in our room were good. It was very quiet at night so we had a good nights rest. We had close parking to enter into the area were our room was located.

I chose this hotel partly because it was a drop off site for a shuttle to and from the Minneapolis airport. It turned out to be an excellent choice. The facility is in excellent condition, the staff was friendly and professional, and I would stay there again.

The best accommodations we have ever enjoyed for our annual get together. Rooms were immaculate. Kiddie pool was a plus. Caryl and the staff was always willing to meet our needs. 2 adjoining restaurants had fabulous wings and pizza. The Best Western is the best hotel in the area and definitely best hotel pool I've been to in a while! The staff is fantastic and are always willing to help out. The manager Dave is very friendly and cares about his staff and guests, creating a comfortable environment.

I didn't have much interaction with staff but the little I did they were great and friendly. The hotel was clean and the room was very nice. I was here for business and the conference center was great and the staff working there kept things cleaned and stocked very well!

Very nice newer, updated hotel. We also enjoyed having 2 restaurants to choose from without having to get in your car and drive. We had a poolside room, which worked out great for hanging with the team. I would stay here again. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean, restroom floors were so-so.

The hotel was clean in appearance, but upon arrival I took a shower and the tub would not drain. Service was not in any hurry to come to the room, so I had to clean out the biggest hair ball ever. Totally disgusting!! No feather pillows. Woke up to a soar neck.

I just stayed at the Best Western Willmar last night and there was a decent amount of snow that had fallen over the night. To my surprise, this morning as I was working in my hotel room, I looked outside and I saw members of the hotel staff brushing off every vehicle that was parked in the parking lot. Seeing this was fantastic, as I'm sure most of the guests are here on business and time often matters. Good job to the staff for taking the time and effort to do this, if I ever need to travel to this area for work again, I will stay here in a heartbeat. Keep up the good work and keep doing the little things!

This hotel was very clean, I stayed in a pool side room, plenty of space. The breakfast was amazing in the morning, a lot of different options not just cold cereal and waffles like the usual hotels. The restaurants in the hotel were very updated and a good time as well. Great staff overall!

Great hotels, clean, friendly staff, Like that there is a sports bar and a restaurant attached so I don't have to drive anywhere. Breakfast is decent. King rooms are on the outside, Queen rooms are on the inside surrounding the pool. Sometimes the chlorine smell is strong in the queen rooms. Overall, I'd definitely stay here again.

I stay at this best Western Frequently and I was very dishearted when I walked in. I don't know what has happened, but I always looked forward to the friendly visit that I had with the Assistant Manager Nadine. When I came in for this visit I was told she was let go. The new manager is to formal and does not have the friendly, upbeat attitude that I so much look forward to when I come. The breakfast was very good and the rest of the staff was very friendly.

I was in Willmar for a business meeting for work and my agent booked my stay at this hotel, and I can't say enough good things about this place. From the minute you step inside, you can feel the positive energies from the staff working. Right away, I was greeted with a huge welcome and big smile from the girl working (Brittany), who took the time to tell me about Willmar and the surrounding areas. My room was a poolside room, which opened out to reveal a large pool, a kiddy pool and one of the biggest hot tubs I've seen in a long time. My room had a nice welcoming note on my bed, huge fluffy pillows and my own coffee maker, fridge and microwave. Also the parking is free, so I thought that was a cool little perk!! Had a nice relaxing afternoon and enjoyed an early night. Saw a few staff members around the place and they all seemed more than happy to help with whatever questions I had. I ended up locking my keys in my room and Brittany and Nadiene made me copies with no questions asked. Housekeeping brought me extra towels per my request and she was super courteous and sweet as well. Breakfast was amazing! Lots of choices for either eating there or grabbing for the road. The check out process was very easy and the guy working (Travis?) was very sweet too. Overall some of the best staff I've ever stayed with. Thank you best western for making me feel like family. If I'm ever back in Willmar, I know where I'm staying. Stay awesome!!!!

Tried booking online with my phone, but after 15 minutes, a call to the rewards center, and still no reservation, I had to call the hotel. The manager, Nadine, was very helpful and booked our room on the internet rate. The room appeared clean, with king bed plus comfortable chair. The bathroom area was very clean. The common hallway area appeared recently updated. We wanted to watch some television, but the remote control didn't work right, as it wouldn't change the channels. We called the front desk, but no one answered after about 15 rings. Tried calling again and the same thing. Then on the 3rd try, a young woman answered. We asked for a working remote. She said she would "look around for one" and if she found a spare she would bring it up. We didn't hear any more from her or anyone else and never received a working remote. We needed to use the microwave and it turns out the button for the door latch didn't work. Once pushed to open, it stuck and we had to fiddle around with it to get the button to pop out so we could latch the micro door closed. All this was just aggravating. The bed was comfortable and we got a good sleep, but in the morning started looking at the white blanket/quilt we had, and it had at least 2 old stains on it. Yuk. Then when we went to breakfast, the seating was very limited. We had to sit up at a high bar on high chairs, which were crowded so close together that we couldn't get in and out of them. Once seated we were stuck unless someone next to us left. Very uncomfortable and awkward as we were shoulder to shoulder with folks we didn't know. The waffles tasted good, but the eggs were just weird.

This hotel was wonderful! We had a 2QB room of adequate size. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and the room was super clean! Bathroom is a little small but nicely set up and functional. Our room was POOL SIDE which was handy to getting back and forth to our room. Pool towels are large and available in your room. Room also included microwave and fridge. The pool area includes a kiddie pool, large hot tub and fairly large pool that goes from 3.5-8.5 feet. Water was warm and the pool area was clean. The hotel is attached to a sports bar called Ruff's which had live entertainment on Friday night. Also attached is the Green Mill restaurant which is handy to eat at or to order room service. Breakfast area was good size and offered maybe a little more than other hotels. All was very good. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Very nice, modern contemporary feel to this hotel. The pool area was amazing. I haven't seen a hot tub so large in years. Beds were comfortable, the staff was nice, and the breakfast was good. I would ask for a room close to the entrance, otherwise you will be walking quite a way to get to your room if it is in the back.

One of the best BWP's I've ever stayed at. Located right on Hwy 12 in Willmar, this property had ample parking, wonderful staff, and clean, quiet rooms. It had two floors with an elevator. All rooms are interiors, meaning no rooms are accessed from the outdoors as is found in many Best Western locations. There was a nice pool (pool towels provided in your room), business center, beautiful meeting/conference rooms, a nice gym, and a breakfast area. The latter couldn't possibly accommodate all guests, so many people brought their breakfasts back to their rooms. There were complimentary USA Today newspapers available. My room was spotless. It included a small microwave, fridge, desk, armchair with footstool, armoire, and free in-room wifi that worked very well. The property is attached to a Ruffs Wings & Sports Bar as well as a Green Mill. Both restaurants can be accessed via inside. There is a DQ Chill & Grill within a short walking distance. The hotel is close to gas and other restaurants and maybe a mile or so from the downtown core area of Willmar.

I really like that it has two Restaurants attached. Ruffs Wings and Sports Bar and also the Green Mill Inn. Both are great options. My room was super clean and the King bed was comfy. Lots of Towels in the room and also a Microwave, Fridge and Coffee maker. Good staff at the front desk who are willing to answer any questions you have. Full hot breakfast downstairs in the morning starting at 6:00 am. free Wi-Fi in rooms. Another upside is that is located very close to the Nine Hole Valley Golf Course. I definitely recommend.
