Nice hotel at a reasonable price. The bed was comfortable, room was clean, shower pressure was good and hot. Love that the sink is separate from the shower and toilet. We stayed on the back side of the hotel which was nice. There are rocking chairs there and a view of the Smoky Mountains beautiful! It was very cold for our stay so we did not sit outside. Breakfast room was small but the staff kept all the food items filled and was very friendly. Waynesville is a nice town with lots of restaurants and shops. Check in was quick and easy. Overall a great stay and we would definitely stay again!

Visiting family in the local area. Extreme cold single gig it's at night teens during day. Room was toasty warm. Comfortable beds . Great WiFi . Exercise room was awesome. All new equipment . We will be back

There is nothing pretentious about the Best Western Smoky Mountain Inn, yet it was everything we needed and were looking for. The view is spectacular; the staff very kind and helpful. Everything was in working order; the refrigerator and microwave in the room was an unexpected bonus. We had to arrange for a hotel room in less than 24 hours and this was exactly perfect.

Nice mountain view and comfy beds. Somewhat of a cozy feel to it. Great location between Asheville and Bryson city. Space isn't family friendly, and the sink and bathroom being separate was not ideal. The breakfast was grab and go items. It was ok and a little overpriced.

This facility needs an upgrade in breakfast choices and in bath linens. I know room rates have increased, but breakfast food quality and choices have not kept up with competition at this location. Bath linens are rough and frayed, again still trying to get by on expenses.

The hotel is super-clean and the beds are quite comfortable. The view from the hotel is very nice. We also enjoyed the firepit area in the evening. The only negative was the breakfast. It was certainly adequate, but a bit light on protein.

Very friendly people and I would stay there again. Clean room, nice parking lot and towels to wipe down the motorcycle. It was a good value for this time of year and close to the Blue Ridge Parkway. The BW in Banner Elk was also nice.

Hotel was convenient and clean. Staff was friendly and hotel had great views. Nice that there was rocking chairs outside rooms to sit and relax. Quick breakfast open at 7am to start the day. I would definitely stay there again.

A trip to the Great Smokey Mountains National Park and surrounding area. The location of this hotel was great. The view from this hotel was great. There was plenty of outdoor seating. The kitchen area was very small, however. It was hard to move around to get and/or find breakfast food. The kitchen hostess was very kind to help everyone.

Not a new hotel but very clean and waking up surrounded by the Smokey mountains was breath taking. When I went to extend for a night I was told no because our work trailer took up too many parking spots. A new Hampton is being built next to BW and the storage buildings are in BW parking lot along with the crews vehicles. So we were told to leave I would NEVER stay there again, the Hampton that is being built next door looks beautiful and I can't wait to stay there so I can spend time in Waynesville

This hotel had nice staff, comfy beds and was priced fairly well for the weekend in a touristy area. Too many people were smoking just outside their rooms so we had to walk through clouds of smoke to get to breakfast or to our car. Breakfast could have used some protein options too. The rooms were really clean, everything worked well, shower was hot and had good pressure, I just wish they had smokers go to the designated areas away from the rooms.

Excellent room, comfortable beds , linen and towels excellent, cleanliness first rate, small breakfast area but good breakfast selection including cereals bagels and assorted breads. Fresh made pancakes, and a variety of drinks from coffee to milk and a selection of juices and yogurts.

This hotel has beautiful views! In addition, the people who work for this hotel are some of the kindest people. It made for a very nice stay! The breakfast was great. There were lots to chose from and someone was there cleaning continuously.

We reserved two rooms at the Best Western Smoky Mountain Inn for the first time this past weekend. None of the four of us could come up with one negative about our stay. We were very impressed with this hotel. Kristin at the front desk was very personable and patient while I made future reservations. I appreciate the reasonable rate. Jasper did an outstanding job with breakfast. She kept the items well stocked and the area neat and clean. She has a very bubbly personality and seemed to enjoy what she does. The pancake maker was a great change from the traditional slow, messy waffle makers at other hotels. Housekeeping was spot on! The hotels we've stayed at recently offered very minimal room service by just removing the trash and providing clean towels (the last one we stayed at only did it the first day the whole time we were there – we had to dump our trash and pick-up clean towels from the office). We arrived back to our room with the beds made, empty trash cans and clean towels!!!! The rooms are very spacious with comfortable beds and fluffy pillows. I was happy to see they use the “soft white” light bulbs in the lamps instead of the obnoxiously bright, LED bulbs that makes the room feel cheap and cold. The tub shower looked brand new and had the large, “rainfall” type of shower head which was really nice. The large closet, big screen TV, good size dresser with drawers and ice cold refrigerator were a major plus. The thoughtful gift bag of water and snacks was a welcome surprise and very much appreciated. Something so simple makes guests feel welcome. I am so glad my daughter found this gem for us – we are eager to stay here again when we return in the near future. Between the exceptional customer service by Kristin, Jasper and Housekeeping along with the amazing rooms, our stay was absolutely perfect!

Had a great time. Everyone was super nice. Hotel grounds are gorgeous. They had a welcome gift for us when we got to our rooms of bottled water, popcorn and cookies, which I was not expecting and just made us feel really welcomed. Would definitely stay there again

This was my 6th time staying at this hotel. I've always stayed here for the Lake Logan triathlon since many of the rooms have parking right outside the door. This is very convenient since I have to carry many items back and forth from the car to the room. I've always gotten great service, but this year was a major disappointment. I had $45 worth of travel cards (gift cards) which they refused to take, They gave me some story that I booked on line and not directly with the hotel. I've been using travel cards since 2016 and never had a problem. I'm a Best Western gold member and they really didn't care. I'm going to contact the Travel card email address and see if they can help. I wouldn't stay here again. It's a shame because it's a nice hotel with great amenities.

We stayed here for 1 night this week. We had a really pleasant stay. Compliments to all the staff for how clean and well maintained the hotel is. The hotel is slightly older but really clean. We enjoyed relaxing at the pool with a view of the mountains. And relaxing on the rocking chairs. There was also a small fire pit and bbq which we didn't try but nice they were there. Breakfast area was small but had a great choice including pancakes and was well stocked/ kept clean. They even had gluten free cereal. Earlier in the week we stayed in another Best Western and were disappointed. This hotel exceeded our expectations. Thanks.

We stayed at the Best Western Smoky Mountain Inn as a stop over to our final destination. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the property and our room. The pool was small but adequate and they had towels at the pool for guests to use. They seemed to think of everything. We had a small refrigerator and microwave in the room along with a couple complementary bottles of water and some cookies and popcorn. If you drive to the back of the Inn you would be able to use the walkway to your second-floor room on the other side to avoid having to take luggage up the stairs. Check-in was very easy and they were responsive to our questions. The continental breakfast was great also. The grounds and view was very beautiful.

An older motel, but nicely updated. Very quiet, clean, and comfortable in beautiful area. Rooms were big, beds were comfortable. We only stayed for one night, but the large refrigerator (plus freezer) and lots of storage are bonuses for anyone staying in the area longer.

I don't have a bad thing to say. Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable beds, great views. Breakfast was better than most. Everything was clean. The whole family was happy I would definitely stay here again.

The check in was pleasant and easy. The person on the front desk answered all our questions easily and pleasantly. We would gladly recommend tthis hotel to anyone. Our most unfavorable experience was that there was no printed information for the TV.

Very nice little motel. Appears to be under renovation because the top floors were closed. Rooms were clean for the most part, nice quiet area and beautiful view of the mountains on the premises. Staff was very friendly.

This motel was perfect! Everything was clean. Check in/out was a breeze and breakfast was perfect. It was in a quiet area and everything nearby was very accessible. The hostess for breakfast was such a delight!

Our room is very clean, everything works, lots of pressure and hot water, the beds and pillows are comfortable, breakfast is continental but good enough for us, the staff are very friendly, and the mountain views are great! Will stay here again if we're in the area.

The property itself is nice and well maintained. Construction next door impedes traffic on entrance road. The road is somewhat damaged and entrance is poorly marked at night, likely due to the construction on the shared entrance road.

Very clean and great location. 2 miles from town and shops. Fire pit overlooking the city view and plenty of wildlife roaming around. I would recommend for someone on a budget, that wants to come visit but not want to have the noice that a major hotel can bring.

Staff is great ! The rooms are CLEAN !!! The beds are comfortable. It's an older hotel, but it is a good one. CLEAN!! And a beautiful View. This picture is from our room from September 2020. we have stayed here three times and we will go back to stay more love this old hotel.

This Best Western afforded us a nice view of the nearby mountains which were particularly beautiful in mid/late October thanks to the Autumn leaves. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the breakfast was enjoyable especially thanks to the good coffee, the included microwaveable omelets and the pancake maker. (Caveat: As of 10/18/22 a new Hampton Inn was under construction next door, and the workers began rather early in the morning, so if you need to sleep in, I'd suggest you bring some earplugs or choose to stay elsewhere until the construction has been completed.)

The grounds are beautiful. The staff is amazing, they go above and beyond. The breakfast has many options. The overall stay is welcoming and comfortable. I have stayed there 4 times in 2 mos. I will continue to say at this location any time I'm in Waynesville.

I enjoyed my stay. The view is wonderful, and the location is in very short distance from downtown Waynesville for dining. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I plan on staying again in the future as well.

We found ourselves right in the path of Hurricane Ian this year. When I called to cancel our reservations because we needed to prepare our house for the impact of the storm they wouldn't do it. We had a non-refundable rate and they wouldn't budge on it even though this was an act-of-God kind of situation. When I asked to speak with the manager the girl on the phone was very rude and hung up on me. I called the Best Western 800 number for Customer Support and they were more reasonable and met us half way. They also said they'd make a note that we were unhappy with the hotel's front desk staff, but no one from BW ever followed up on it.

Check-in clerk refused to honor military rate even after presentation of valid military ID. The room was acceptable but nothing great, supposedly the rooms had been updated to include new mattresses but our mattress had a sever sag on one side of the bed. The breakfast was meager at best and I was left wanting.

This hotel is convenient to anything that you would want to do while in the mountains. Also it is very clean, comfortable, and best of all, affordable for the fall time frame. Waynesville in particular is a very neat town, lots of eating varieties and good craft shopping.

The employees were very friendly. The rooms were nice and clean and quiet. The breakfast was delicious . The view from our Bench and Rocking Chair was BEAUTIFUL. You will be happy you chose Best Western for your accommodations in Waynesville, NC !!

The property was well appointed and clean and tidy. Great location and views with a lovely balcony to relax on. I would recommend this for anyone wanting to visit the Smokey Mountains area and avoid the chaos of some towns.

While running from Hurricane Ian, we stayed two nights at the BW Smoky Mountain Inn. It was very clean, the staff was very helpful, the room was quiet. I especially like the larger refrigerator with the separate freezer. Breakfast was very good.

Don't expect to be refunded for acts of God. We had to cancel due to Hurricane Ian and all received back was "Too bad" you called after policy deadline. Needless to say will not be remembering this place in my future travel plans.

Excellent place to stay, great people. Very accommodating to motorcycle riders. If you are planning a motorcycle trip to the Great Smoky Mountains, this is a perfect place to call home base, central to all the great rides. I highly recommend.

The room seemed to have been recently updated. I was surprised at how nice it was! There were complimentary water bottles, popcorn, and cookies, in my room. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was adequate. Mostly cereals, toast, bagels, etc, but premade omelettes were available for heating in the microwave. They were tasty! I was only there for one night whilst travelling but I would return.

The breakfast was not the best, although adequate. The mattresses were soft, but nice. I just like hard mattresses. The rooms were beautiful with a big TV. Rocking chairs on the balcony allowed for a great view of the mountains. Pay the extra for the Mountain View. It sits way up on a hill and is very quiet.

What makes a 5 in our book? Clean room, a room not jammed so moving around is a challenge, a comfortable bed (dosen't sag in the middle), a properly working fridge and microwave, quiet area, a satisfying breakfast, appropriate furniture, wifi, a desk and easily accessible. Lastly yet very, very friendly accomadating staff. This Inn has it all. We highly recommend staying here.

Pleasant surprise. The place was very clean. The woman at the front desk was very friendly and nice. Yes, the place is old and it's a motel, but everything was in working order and well taken care of. I'll mention very clean again which made my day. All of that makes for a pretty comfortable stay. We have stayed in 4 star hotels that were dirty along with other issues. We would definitely stay here again.

What more can you ask for. I did not use any of the amenities except the breakfast which was sparse but sufficient. Not a hot meal but continental. If you are on the motorcycle there are cleaning rags available. Chairs and benches outside the rooms to relax. The room was inviting upon entry with water, cookie and popcorn waiting. Definitely would stay again if I'm in the area enjoying the roads.

My husband and enjoyed our stay here. The rooms are standard but VERY clean and it's located close to local restaurants and shops. The receptionist at the front desk is amazing and made sure we had everything we needed. I would definitely choose to stay here again.

I can't believe we've been going to the Smokies for over 40 years and only just now visited the Tuckaleechee Caverns this past week. It's a HUGE cavern with many fascinating stories attached to it. Our grandsons, aged 10 and 11 really enjoyed the tour, and we wish we would've gone sooner -- like when their dad was a little boy. We HIGHLY recommend this family-owned and operated place! It's truly a natural wonder!

I recently completed a weekend motorcycle trip in western NC alone. I picked the hotel because it was close to friends in the area, the Blue Ridge parkway and other mountain roads. Honestly, this was my first stay at a Best Western and normally I stay in hotels with multiple floors and rooms not accessible from the outside. I really liked being able to park my motorcycle outside my room. It made it easy to prepare for rides. I also enjoyed sitting outside in the common areas to watch the mountains...great views. The rooms and facilities are older than some of the newer hotels but everything was very clean and spacious. And the staff was friendly and helpful. Truthfully, I thought was would be staying in an old hotel where the rooms were some-what clean but I loved the hotel. Clean, quiet, spacious, close to the highway but no noise. I plan to return in the fall for another ride and I will stay at the hotel.

The review on Trip Advisor was misleading. A view of the Smoky Mountains was only possible at the end of the property, not from the rooms. This hotel only accepts points for the least desirable rooms with two full beds. The TV is old, there is no channel directory in the rooms, and the remote is difficult to use.

We stayed for 5 nights at this hotel, and it was great. As you drive in your are greeted with lovely landscaping. We were at the back of the hotel, so it was very quiet. The room, while nothing fancy, was nice and very clean. There was even a small welcome gift waiting for us when we arrived! Everyone on staff that we encountered could not have been friendlier or more helpful. I will definitely stay here again, and would recommend it to anyone staying in the area.

It had been a couple of years since we last stayed at this hotel and in returning they had made a lot of very good changes and upgrades which made us want to return next year or in-between if necessary!

There are a lot of choices of where you can stay in western North Carolina, but I definitely recommend staying here. Besides the beautiful grounds and up on a hill with a view, the rooms were spotless and efficient, the front desk staff was extremely friendly and helpful with every request, and this hotel is 5 minutes from everything.

My husband and I spent 3 nights here for our grandson's graduation. This is one of the cleanest hotels we've ever stayed in. The room was so fresh and clean. We had a view of the pool and mountains. All of the staff was very friendly and helpful. There are not many hotels in Waynesville but this is by far the best!

The front desk and breakfast staff was very friendly and helpful. The premises were quiet and clean. Convenient to really good family restaurants and shopping. Beautiful Mountain view. Parking was no problem.

This is our second visit to the Smokey Mountains Best Western Hotel in Waynesville. The location can't be beat with lovely Mountain Views. They have several outside sitting areas they call smoking areas but most of the time there is no one there and you can sit and enjoy the view. The rooms are nicely situation so you can walk to your room without facing stairs. The rooms are comfortable but a little “tired”. We were only there for a night so it was fine. The staff were very friendly and a little breakfast was included.

Consistent with other Best Western hotels we've stayed at. Room was very clean, nothing fancy, good value for what we spent. The property was beautifully landscaped and there was a fire pit with chairs in the front. We enjoyed sitting on the rocking chairs each night and looking at the surrounding mountains - very relaxing. Breakfast was nothing fancy but adequate for us. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Housekeeping did a wonderful job of restocking our room and they were very friendly as well. The only problem we had was our room key didn't work. We asked for multiple replacement keys and it was hit or miss if the key would work. There is construction going on right next door but they were done early enough that it didn't bother us. Also they were scraping and painting the fence around the pool but the weather wasn't warm so we didn't use the pool. I would stay here again.

The corporate photos don't match the property. There is a Hampton being building directly next door, and the construction noise and vehicles is constant. Tge continental breakfast has only a few items like generic lunch box dessert style pastries and a few unripe bananas. A lot of outdoor partiers drinking and carrying on loudly well past midnight, despite complaining to the front desk.

I was pleasantly surprised with this lovely comfortable property. Exceeded expectations overall. Definitely would return and recommend this exceptionally convenient location to anyone wanting privacy, value and comfort complete with rocking chairs.

My husband and I checked in at this hotel and immediately returned to the front desk manager to request a room change because the room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. The manager said there was only one other vacant room left and it would cost an extra $50. She said housekeeping had not reported the smell in the room. We asked her to check the room but she refused because she said she was a smoker. We told her we didn't think we should have to pay extra for a problem with the room that was not our fault. She became argumentative and said we could go elsewhere. This was not possible as we were traveling in the same car with friends who had already checked in. The way we were treated was upsetting and rude.

Very rude clerk at the front desk. Asked about my service dog the day after I checked in which is against the law. Making a nice tiktok video of the clerk and the motel. Hampton Inn took me in at 9:30 am in Cherokee after the problems with this Motel.

It was easy to find with close access to the highway but also close to stores and restaurants. I stayed there to attend a wedding in Canton, NC. I was fortunate to visit family in Lake Junaluska located less than 10 minutes away for walking.

We return to this hotel because of the quality of service. Over the years, the owners continue to upgrade mattresses, room decor, lobby, dining area, room appearance, etc. The staff all speak to guests with southern charm and welcoming attitude.

This is my go to hotel for last 5 years when staying in the Haywood County area. Exceptionally clean with comfortable beds. Would compare rooms to any Hampton Inn or Holiday Inn Express. Did not take advantage of breakfast area but when checking in the area appeared clean and inviting. Highly recommend. Owner on site to make sure everything runs smooth.

Remodeled nicely. Very pleased. Quiet comfortable and CLEAN beds. I could tell they used bleach in washing, nothing smells cleaner. They left us a bag of treats. Staff all very nice. Only issue was there were clothing tags left on bathroom floor which means it couldn't have been cleaned/disinfected well. Shower nice bright white…had great pressure and hot water. If we are ever in area again, we would return.

Great place in a very secluded location. Quiet area with a beautiful mountain view from the room. Close to everything in town. Very friendly staff made check in and check out simple and enjoyable. 10/10 would recommend.

This place is quiet and comfortable. Located off the Great Smoky Mountains Expressway and within short driving distance to restaurants and shopping. Booked a room with 2 double beds for 5 nights and everything was clean and well-maintained. Breakfast was grab-and-go, so we decided to get breakfast somewhere else each morning. Our room was serviced each day, which was nice because most everywhere else we have stayed over the past few months have not serviced the room unless it is requested. It is great to come back to our room in the evening and the bathroom linens are replaced, trash is removed, and beds are made. Makes us feel taken-care-of while we are guests. Staff were always pleasant and helpful whenever I encountered them. Beautiful scenery in the area and not far from the Blue Ridge Parkway. Will definitely stay here again in the future.

Great staff, clean and well appointed rooms, a little pricey for the rooms based on comparative options. Always enjoy the convenience and friendly atmosphere. We have been repeat guests many times and never been disappointed.

Visited the area with a group of friends this past weekend and all I can say is WOW! A HUGE thank you to Patrick for going above and beyond in taking care of us. Everything was pure perfection, will definitely be returning!

The location was perfect for my needs. Very clean and no heavy highway noise when sleeping. Very comfortable beds. The view is great and staff was helpful and wonderful . Will definitely return when in this area.

This motel was better than I expected. The breakfast was Covid-conscious but filling. The Staff was very nice and helpful with the room door that sticks. But the view was absolutely fabulous! The driveway was VERY Steep.

Clean property, great views of mountains, appears they are building new hotel next to existing property there was some noise from construction and construction crew noise early in parking lot 6-6:30am. Clean and comfortable rooms!

The location presented a great view of the mountains. The grounds were very well kept and there are several out door seating areas where you can sit and enjoy the view. Every thing in the rooms was in excellent condition and the housecleaning staff kept the place spotless.

Check in area was old but expected needs to be updated stayed here because the reviews were better than the others.was on a motorcycle trip with friends the best thing was the shower was awesome bathroom was small rooms need to be updated bed was okay 2nd best thing was view from parking lot was awesome.a new hotel was going in next door I think would take a lot of business because of being new.

My wife and I arrived here after a 4.5 hour trip. She got out to walk out service animal and I went to check in. The clerk at the desk, Kristin, said to me as soon as I walked up to the desk "we don't take animals here", (not hello, how was your trip here, have you stayed with us before or anything polite), to which I replied it was a service animal and shee could not refuse her. From there her attitude and personality just tanked. Our group had been staying there 4 years straight, we missed 2020 due to COVID-19 and this made our 5th year there. 3 more of our group showed up while I was checking in and she was not friendly with them either. Another instance I had with her I went down to get some extra cups and she refused them, with a bad attitude I might add. People like this don't need to be in the service industry. Get rid of your bad apple. I must add that the cleaning staff and the young lady that checked us out, Debra I think, were great.

The rooms were spotless and well equipped, coffee maker, fridge, microwave, nice TV...all the comforts of home. Beds were comfortable, rooms quiet, and temperature easy to customize to our liking. The housekeeping people do an outstanding job of keeping the rooms clean. If I had to find any negative it would be the fact that there were a lot of smokers who chose to ignore the smoking area and smoked outside their rooms. We would have liked to have enjoyed sitting outside on the rockers, but kept being driven inside due to the cigarette smoke. This was our second stay here, and it will definitely not be our last.

We stayed four nights in early Aug, 2021. The morning sunrise was spectacular! The front desk staff were courteous, friendly and helpful at all times, as were the two cleaning ladies. Grab and Go breakfast was nice to have, as was the daily complimentary bottled water, cookies and popcorn (delivered to the room). The room was clean, plenty of towels, microwave worked well, and the fridge had a functional freezer compartment (MUCH appreciated). My only suggestion is add a second luggage stand. I didn't ask for one, but feel certain one would have been provided. This is my third time at this BW. I have enjoyed each visit and am sad to see the upper mountain taken over by another motel under construction. I received a military discount. I appreciate the staff's effort to provide quality service and concern for customer safety during this time of resurgent COVID Variant D. I will stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay at this property. The front desk made us feel welcome. Our room included some amenities. The room was comfortable & the housekeeping impeccable. The bathroom sparkled! The inn overlooks the mountains & felt peaceful.

We had a fabulous 4 night stay and were pleasantly surprised with our stay. The entire staff was super nice and you couldn't beat the amazing views from our window. They had nice small seating areas for smokers but we enjoyed it to let our infant roam around on the grass for a bit. Hotel was clean and room service was every day. The shower pressure could have been better but this was a great alternative to staying in ashville and off the beaten path. It was centrally located for all the places we wanted to see but close enough for a quick drive to their downtown waynesville. We will definitely be back!

We were happy with this hotel from the time we arrived until we left. We were greeted by a friendly staff member upon arrival. This is an older type hotel, with 2 floors with outside entrances. We went into our first floor room and there was a bag with welcome amenities that included 2 big bottles of water, cookies, and microwave popcorn. There were 2 rocking chairs outside our door, which we really enjoyed sitting and looking at the mountains. The bed was comfortable, and this was the cleanest hotel we stayed at on our 3 week road trip! We would definitely stay here again!

Have been staying at this hotel for 20 years. They do an excellent job of maintaining the property, keeping very clean rooms, upgrading the facilities and room amenities. They've upgraded their a/c units. Also the grounds are very nice with lots of plants and flowers. It's an older facility but lovingly maintained by the owners.

What a great hotel from helpful and friendly staff to being close to so many beautiful things to see and do,hotel and rooms were clean and was a pleasure staying there for six nights,It was our 27th anniversary and they made every part of it feel special

every aspect of our stay was good. no problems, happy with room and location. Internet was good (unlike other hotels we have used). must have loquacious reviewers as I don't need 200 words to convey satisfaction.

We were so pleased with the mountain scenery, lovely grounds, comfortable rooms, and attentive service. We wanted a central spot for visiting both Asheville and the North Carolina Smokey Mountains, and this place fit the bill. We also fell in love with Waynesville, so many interesting shops and restaurants.

This was our second time staying at this Inn and it was pleasant both times. The rooms are clean and the staff is responsive to service requests. Our second stay we had a shower that wasn't draining well and after letting the staff know, it was taken care of promptly. The views are nice, and the location is very convenient for supply runs and food in Waynesville.

Friendly staff, good view of mountains, clean room. I appreciated the popcorn and cookie that was left in the room to enjoy in the evening. Very happy with my stay. I will definitely return again. Easy access to highway.

Our outdoor group has stayed at BWSMI many times over the past 7 years. We enjoy and look forward to staying here almost as much as seeing the sights in and around the Smoky Mountains. The staff are very friendly and helpful with any requests. The owner always goes out of his way to visit with us and ask how he and this staff can make our stay better. If you want a stress-free, relaxing stay at a motel with outdoor seating, great views,a sense of family and community and away from crowds this is the place for you!

Comfortable mattress. Clean room. Cleaned daily. Great staff. Provided water bottles and snacks in the room daily. Huge TV with swivel base. Following COVID 19 protocol. Breakfast is no longer hot due to COVID. You can get unlimited coffee, bag with piece of fruit, muffin.

We were heading to Gatlinburg and decided to stay in Waynesville to break up the trip. Checked in later in evening, staff were friendly, room was clean and we had no issues. There is a Walmart near by and a few restaurants as well. Not far from Cherokee of Great Smoky Mtn. Park. Didn't get a chance to explore Waynesville but it seems like a neat town with quite a bit of local shopping, eating, etc. Great location to base out of and explore the area probably a 30 minute to 1 hour drive to many popular places in the NC/TN mountains. Great value, nice staff, clean renovated/updated room, will return. 1 star deduction for no breakfast.

We arrived in Waynesville to visit relatives and saw that this hotel received good reviews. I can see why. It is clean, has amazing views and has the best, friendliest individuals working at the desk. Debra Messer checked us in and she is such an asset to this Inn. She is warm, friendly, efficient and super helpful. We felt as if we lived in Waynesville, she would be a friend.

This was a sister trip. One from Colorado, Georgia and Florida. We loved the room we stayed at. Best part was opening the blinds and having the Smoky Mountains staring back at us! The extra amenities were a nice treat (bags with complimentary bottled water, popcorn and cookies each day)! Terri at the front desk had great recommendations of places to eat and to visit. Carolyn that cleaned our room was super sweet and did a great job.

When we checked into our room a little after 11pm the very first thing we heard were our neighbors talking. The wooden door that separates the rooms is very thin. We could hear every word that was being said. It's very hard to sleep when you hear the conversation of strangers next door. My wife and I opted to find another hotel to stay in.

As a former "Road Warrior" with over 5,000 nights in hotels, over my 30 years of traveling for business, this is the best overall of the 3 BW hotels in the Waynesville to Dillsboro area. Location 5/5 On the side of a mountain, overlooking Waynesville, the other 2 BW hotels are either in an industrial park(Dillsboro) or in front of a trailer park and has a major road in front, like (Maggie Valley) Staff 4/5 Maggie Valley staff is top of all 3 Value 4/5 Usually sub $100, but as Covid restrictions lift, prices are going over $100 ISSUES Driveway Bottom of uphill driveway is all torn up, pot hots and need of repairs ASAP. Bathroom Was NOT clean when I arrived. TV Sketchy reception every so often.

After a long day of driving it was nice to see a smiling face at check-in and very helpful. The room was very well cleaned and almost to the point of spotless. The housekeeper - Carolyn had bottled water, microwave popcorn, and chocolate chip cookies. I realize you can find these in more expensive hotels, this was a very nice surprise. We have been traveling and staying a Best Westerns the whole trip (3,600 miles) and I would like to take this CLEAN room with us! It was that nice of a stay. Thank you Carolyn!

This Inn is one of my favorites. It is centrally located to explore WCU; Waynesville; Sylva; Dillsboro; Bryson City. We enjoy staying here as the price point is much better than the BW in Dillsboro. Right now there is a lot of construction nearby and the parking lot of the Inn has construction equip and vehicles parked in it which made maneuvering in the lot a bit challenging for a large vehicle. Rocking chairs on the balcony are a nice touch when you can sit and enjoy them. Early morning is tough with the cleaning crew starting early.

I have been staying at this hotel for many years. They consistently do a great job keep in maintained and very clean. The hotel grounds have beautiful plants and flowers which they meticulously tend. I think it's the best commercial hotel in Waynesville.

Hassle free, tasteful modern*, new rooms at great price. Big tvs, New bathrooms. Good mattresses. Easy location and very kind staff . Zero complaints! Highly recommend. 25 miles from Asheville but easy drive. Waynesville is a cute town in itself.

Average motel room and, as expected, was like all other motel rooms. It was clean and is in a good location if visiting NC mountains. Staff was friendly. Bagged breakfast was a fruit, mini muffin(s), and crunchy granola bar. Also, provided a large water bottle(s) and microwave popcorn in room. Water pressure was good in the shower.

We stayed here based on the reviews we had seen on trip advisor for an overnight stay on our way out of town. This did not disappoint. The hotel was fantastic. I am one who is very picky about where so stay, even bring my own sheets. The people were very friendly. The rating was a 100. The rooms were spotless. It was so quiet, when we were sleeping. I would highly recommend this place again. Such a quaint little place, but what a gem!!

We always enjoy our stay at this hotel. The grounds area are always neat and well maintained. The rooms are clean and the extra little bag of goodies always appreciated. It is like being in the mountains but near all the conveniences.

Met up with motorcycle friends this past weekend at Smokey Mountain Inn. Very impressed. Spotlessly clean, nicely appointed (no worn out carpet or moldy shower). Superlative service. If you're in Waynesville, NC and don't stay here, you missed the boat.

Please do not overlook this little gem in the mountains. It is one of the cleanest I have ever stayed in, anywhere, any brand, and all Coronavirus precautions are in place. Nice room. The flower gardens out front and around the place are beautiful, and for the Fall season there are two separate fire pit seating areas outside with gorgeous mountain views.

We absolutely love coming to this hotel! It is beautiful, clean, very well organized, and the staff is wonderful!! No matter what we have needed (paper plates, envelope and stamp, etc.), It's been cheerfully supplied. It's the perfect home base for riding beautiful roads such as the Blue Ridge Parkway, Foothills Parkway, Cherahola Skyway, Tail of the Dragon, etc. We've really enjoyed meeting the employees, including Terri, Babs, and Carolina. They are so friendly and conscientious in their positions, that Best Western is lucky to have them. We will be back!!

The rooms were clean and spacious. linen was fresh and clean. some insect problems (spiders) but they handled it well. The views from the hotel are wonderful. Maid service was prompt and thorough. There were plenty of parking spaces for each room (2)

Angie at check in was awesome. I had called earlier to see if they had rooms after stricking out (labor day) many other places. Informative, no pressure, reassuring. Great attitude. Hotel has some good reviews about the view etc. But mainly chose because Angie was so helpful. Got there. Three of us in line. Speedy check in but very attentive to each guest. The room was super clean. Thanks Belen. Im guessing this is either a newer place or recently renovated. Either way, nicely appointed. Our room had a nice chair with ottoman. Hate it when there is no place other than the bed to sit. There was a cover over the remote! Also a greatly appreciated goodie bag with a couple water bottles. Nice rockers and benches outside the room. Also some outdoor seating with gas fires for the unreasonably cool night. Terri at checkout was just as courteous, answering questions and giving directions. Overall great experience.

On the "mountain side" of the hotel, beautiful vista of the mountains just outside the window. Very nice size room, plenty of working space (desk), lounge space (comfortable chair), and amenities (large TV), microwave, and refrigerator.

it is an older motel but i really liked it. very quiet and you can walk from your door to the parking lot instead of some long hallway. room was clean and the kohler tub was a nice touch. the grass lawn is really pretty with mountain views. I miss the breakfast buffet.

My wife and I recently took a little weekend trip to Waynesville. It was kind of a spur of the moment so lodging options weren't abundant. I settled on the Best Western since the reviews were good, and I'm glad I chose to stay here. We arrived at the room to find a welcome bag with 2 bottled waters a pack of cookies and some microwave popcorn. I don't that I've ever stayed anywhere that had this. The room was very clean and cozy. The bed was more comfortable than most hotel beds so that was nice. The views outside the hotel were awesome. The location of is very nice as you could be in downtown in 5 minutes. On our second night we again were given another treat bag, which I thought was above and beyond. I loved our 2 nights and would stay here again in a heartbeat.

What a great surprise to stay at this Best Western Inn. From the initial phone contact with Debra at the front desk, to the overnight stay, everything about this place was so positive! Access to the room from the car was so easy. The room was immaculate. We have never before had a guest gift bag waiting with chilled bottles of water, cookies and an envelope of microwave popcorn to enjoy later. We had our 15-year old granddaughter with us and she loved having a queen bed all to herself. What was MOST surprising to me however, was the bath tub. It was spotless; no actually it sparkled. It looked brand new, but was actually over a year old. It seems Jasper and her housekeeping staff are proud of the work they do and it is evident when guests can enjoy such cleanliness. Since we had to order take-out meals from a local restaurant, we found a nice picnic table on the hotel property to eat our dinner. The mountains surrounding us made for a wonderful setting to enjoy this memory together. If you are visiting Waynesville, NC and need to stay overnight, I highly recommend Best Western Smoky Mountain Inn. You may wonder if you are following the directions since the hotel is not easily seen from the road. No worries, just turn in at the old red barn with cows grazing around it.

I'm a hotel snob, and I have to say, this was a really nice stay. The rooms have been nicely refinished, they are nicely appointed and the beds are super soft. Everything was clean, the sheets soft, and the mattresses have bedbug covers. There is a refrigerator and microwave in every room. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only "negatives" are the bathroom is small, the breakfast buffet had been stopped due to covid, so breakfast consisted of a grab and go bag, which was a bottle of water, chewy granola bar, honeybun, and apple. Also, as a firefighter, I'd be remiss if I did not point out that while each room did have a smoke detector, they did not have sprinklers.

Great location for our visit to the Blue Ridge Parkway for hiking. Newly remodeled motel with high end amenities (rainwater shower head, extra large flat-screen TV, super comfortable mattresses) and really clean rooms made us feel pampered and safe. Really enjoyed the gorgeous view of the mountains from the rocking chairs on the balcony right outside our room and the nice landscaping around the property. Obviously great management deserves the Trip Advisor Award of Excellence!

Due to an issue with our VRBO we had to make a quick adjustment and found this little gem. At check-in Jack at the front desk was most accommodating helpful. He really deserves a shout out for helping us feel at home following a stressful day! The property is well maintained and clean. Our room was pretty standard for a BW, clean, comfy bed, etc. The people at this hotel like Jack go out of their way to make you feel at home and take care of any requests from the front desk, maid service and maintenance, all were top notch. We would recommend this to anyone staying in the area.

We found this hotel after a house we rented in the mountains didn't meet our expectations. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. We were 5 couples traveling on motorcycles. They gave us rooms on the back side and close together so we could spend evening together, outside. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The pool was great and there was a gas grill onsite that we could use - which we did multiple times. HINT: Book directly through the hotel! The first night we called a number we found on google (what we thought was the hotel directly since the webpage looked legit), turns out it was Priceline and we paid $20 more for that night. We discovered this once we got to the hotel. We ended up staying there 3 more nights but booked the rooms at the hotel.

Beginning with a bizarre check-in process where they want your money but don't want you inside. Then an insultingly miniscule breakfast bag. Water, granola bar, and a piece of fruit is breakfast? Followed by less than stellar upkeep. Gutters with plants growing out of them which overflow when it rains. Just not the place it used to be.

This was not our first visit to BW Smokey Mtn Inn and certainly will not be our last. The facility is always spotless and rooms very clean with comfortable beds. This was our first night on the road during the Covid and obviously things are a bit different but they are still doing a great job even with the restrictions. Highly recommend this facility.

We spent 3 days and 2 nights here. Even with the virus going on this was still a pleasant stay. They gave us carry out bags for breakfast with a large water, fruit, granola bar and danish. Everything was clean.

Stayed one night during the Covid-19 shut down. The lobby was closed, but we communicated by phone and the clerk came out to handle the transaction. We stayed in room 115. Neat, clean, recently done over. Microwave, and refrigerator. There was a welcome bag with cookies and bottled water. Instead of the usual breakfast we were given a well-packed grab and go bag. Very nice view.

Very nice little spot in the NC mountains convenient to Waynesville and surrounding towns. Easy access from highway and just a few minutes from downtown Waynesville with great food and shopping. Hotel is a little older so rooms have single sinks and smaller bathrooms. Baths have been upgraded with good showers. Room is clean and convenient with a big t.v. Great views of the mountains with chairs on the porch for relaxing. Friendly, helpful staff.

We were in Waynesville for a New Year's Eve event. The hotel was clean and the staff provided friendly service. The room was clean and comfortable. We slept in so we did not try the breakfast offering. We will definitely stay again when we are in the area.

Bedbugs!!!!! Our room had bedbugs in the pillows The evening I got home I had multiple bites on my head, shoulders, back I showed my wife a bug that was on my pillow about the size of a ant She said it was a bedbug I have stayed there many times due to family in the area This was by far my worst experience ever!

The views from this hotel of the Smoky Mountains are amazing. The included breakfast doesn't have a lot of choices but enough to satisfy including a waffle maker. The best part was Terri who runs the restaurant and makes everyone feel at home. Terri is a warm and fun person who likes to take care of people and make sure that everyone starts their day with a big breakfast and smile.

I have been staying in this hotel for many years. It's not a new hotel but it has been meticulously maintained, refurbished, and lovingly cared for by the owners. The grounds have beautiful flowers which they plant seasonally to keep them fresh. The winter pansies were gorgeous!

Never had much luck with best westerns. This one was a great find! Had to stay for early morning surgery for my husband, we live 2 hours away, we took a chance since it was fairly close and were happily surprised!! Definitely will stay here again! Kailey and Victoria were wonderful. They even put some snacks and water in the room for us. Driveway could be improved, but otherwise a gem in the mountains.

A very nice room and since I am handicapped they made sure I got ground floor one.Economical, good location to restaurants, shopping.We have actually stayed there several times since 1989.The furst time was after hurricane Hugo hit our town pretty hard and a funny thing, we met a man there whose was named Hugo and we thought that was funny.

Visiting friends in Waynesville, west of Asheville. In past years have stayed and drove one hour daily from Asheville. Found this motel on Trip Advisor and it has not disappointed. Small older motel with recent upgrades....modern baths and furnishings. Continental Breakfast included and ample. Same owner adding a Hampton Inn next door so this complex will be the best place to stay in Waynesville for years to come.

Smoky Mt. BW is clean and comfortable with a friendly, helpful staff. I like the microwave and fridge for leftovers and lunch material - Option of staying in room after long field day. Breakfast is substantial enough to fuel a morning of field/farm activities. Close to our work site, but also close to shops, restaurants, sight seeing and tourist destinations. Very close to highway and easy to locate but noise was minimal.

The staff and services were excellent. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was delicious. Terri, remembered our names, what we had for breakfast and asked if we wanted to try something different or have the same breakfast as the previous morning.

I think our room was 221, which was at the very end of top (2nd) floor, closest to the hwy. We are VERY light sleepers but love a great view, so we took Kayla's advice & checked out this room. You cannot hear noise inside the room, & the Autumn mountain view from the beds was incredible! Could use new pillows & sheets, but bed was great. There is a mini fridge & microwave in room, dressing area w sink & coffee, & the tiniest bathroom ever imagined. Showerhead flew off, nearly missing my head, but Angie & Kayla came up to install a new showerhead shortly after my call, saving the day! Thank you!!!! Staff were all top notch. You couldn't ask for better. Honestly was surprised how expensive it was - aaa was 181$ incl tx, but it was prime leaf-peeping season, so they'll get a higher amount. Coffee was fabulous, I skipped breakfast as it seemed to be all waffles & carbs, no hard-boiled eggs, & I don't remember any breakfast meat. Remembered too late that they'll make cheese omelets if you ask. We'd likely stay again, but not at that price. Neat place, & we love Waynesville. Don't miss Bogart's if you're in the mood for an incredible filet, & Barber's Orchard for apples, fritters & other baked goods.

We were here to ride the dinner train in Bryson City. The staff was excellent, particularly Terri, who manages the breakfast. She was friendly and very helpful. I was lucky to have met her. She get 5 stars. This is an older hotel so it is designed to be an overnighter. My only comment, and this cannot be fixed, is the bathroom is tiny and the dressing area is open to the rest of the room so if you were going to get up and try not to disturb whoever you are with you will not have any privacy and they will be disturbed also. But...that is not a game-changer. It is the original design of the original hotel and is what it is. My wife sat in one of the rocking chairs outside and got a stain from the mildew on a white vest and the staff was wonderful helping clean the jacket. They get 5 stars also. We will use them again if given a chance. This would be a 5 star otherwise. It is a wonderful older hotel. And it is safe

This is an older hotel however it is been remodeled and it is very very nice. My room was extremely clean and the service at check-in was great. It is convenient to shopping grocery stores antique shops whatever you you're looking for it's very convenient. want to buy special places to eat which is within one mile is Bogart's, and the other one is Clyde's restaurant you don't want to miss it.

Best Western in Waynesville, NC is a beautiful place to stay. An Awesome view of the mountains and at an excellent value. Clean & Tidy all around inside & out. The staff were so helpful & friendly. They serve an excellent breakfast - Mrs Terri did an awesome job of making sure we had a wonderful experience.

Our room was clean and comfortable. We wanted to commend the breakfast room matron Terri. She was extremely friendly and courteous. She went out of her way to ensure we had every thing we needed. She kept the area well stocked and clean. She would be a valuable asset to the hotel if she could be permanently assigned to the breakfast room.

This Best Western has been somewhat updated. The room was clean and the bed and sofa were comfortable. The bathroom was very small. We were on the bottom floor so we parked right outside of our door but we felt safe. I don't think there was an elevator. Breakfast hostess was very nice and friendly. Hot selections were limited.

Loved this hotel not only for it's location but for the welcoming staff that makes you feel at home. The rooms were clean and comfy, the breakfast good(the breakfast attendant Babs is awesome!) Will definately stay here again!

We were met by Terri at breakfast and she was all smiles friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the food. Room clean and very nice. We like that we can wait till 10 am for breakfast cause traveling with 95 year old sleeper.

Everyone at the inn has been more than helpful. But Terri went above and beyond by bringing us omelettes made to order, answering questions and looking for answers if she did not know the information!

I am part of the NC District Team for GWRRA (Goldwing Road Riders Association). We have our yearly rally the last weekend of September and this is the motel of our choice to stay. The staff is very friendly and very professional. This was our 3rd year staying there and it was a wonderful delight that something new was offered for breakfast. Terri was there to make small omelets for those that wanted them. The choice was egg and cheese or pepper and onion. Both were great. Although it says no pets allowed, if you have a service animal, it is allowed. We took our little Chihuahua which is an emotional support dog. the pictures in their gallery are really accurate. The facility is kept clean and the view of the mountains is beautiful if you are on the second floor on the front side. The beds are also comfortable to sleep on. I know there will be a fourth stay next year at the same time of year. I hope the staff they have now will be the same staff next year.

Close to everything you need and the view is relaxing while you enjoy your free breakfast. Tell Terri I sent you. Our group uses this motel every year for our event. Very friendly staff, rooms have been remodeled and look great, beautiful views. Breakfast was included and even had Krispy Creme donuts, also had eggs, waffles and a good selection of juices. Only 5 mins from downtown Waynesville, which was very convient.

Comfortable beds, spotless room, and an awesome staff made for a very enjoyable stay. Everyone from the lady that check us in to the maintenance man that gave us advice on the best route to take to our next destination was very helpful and friendly. We will definitely be staying there every time we are in this area!

Rooms were clean breakfast was good pool was amazing and beds were comfortable. The only downside was the young man at check in had no idea about the area attractions or good places to eat. And honestly seemed annoyed that we even asked.

We called last minute for a room. Got the last room they had for the night. It was ground level, which was great with our load of stuff we had!! The room was small but it was quiet other than the next door neighbor with the adjoining door, but you have to excuse that most times. The staff was super friendly and helped us with whatever we needed. The breakfast staff was very friendly and the cleaning staff when we were leaving was so curtious and wished us safe travels. This part of the country is very nice and friendly no matter the mood!! We love it in the south!!

Our group has stayed at this property for the past several years the night before we begin our golf adventure at Springdale CC. They seem to improve the property and experience every year. See you next year, same time!

It is a nice view, so you might want to try to stay on the second floor if you want to see more. The building looked a little older and had more character, which I appreciated. The pool was nice but small. The location of the hotel is convenient to a main highway. It is not completely secluded, as some of the angles of the pictures imply, but it is not within walking distance of anything useful either. It feels great on the property though, which is beautifully landscaped.

Such a nice stay. Alerted to this little gem by our daughter, who stayed in February 2019. We gave it a try on her recommendation. Great spot, very nice room, super clean and comfortable. Mattress and bedding up to date, spacious bathroom, fluffy towels, nice couch with table was very handy. Microwave and mini fridge - with small freezer! The staff and breakfast were delightful. We will stay again. The location in Waynesville was convenient to Blue Ridge Parkway, the little downtown was full of shops and good food. 28 miles either way to Asheville and Cherokee. Just a convenient drive to lots of fun and beauty. Give them a try!

Great Views. The staff all go the extra mile, rooms are spotless. The exterior landscaping and sitting areas make this place delightful, rather like the owner is private than corporate. The rooms have bathtubs for a nice soak after a long hike. Location is very quiet yet very close to all the services.

My wife and I stayed at the BWSMI three nights last week and found it as wonderful as the reviews. I can see why their reviews are so good. Our room was very clean, the staff kinder and extremely willing to help you in any way. Our room was in the back and very quiet. The continental breakfast was ok but not the emphasis of their success and excellence. We will return and stay here again and likely soon.

We had our last vacation there for 2 days, we had to cancel one day due to my hubby's dementia. We were there on Aug 1 and 2nd over night. Such a beautiful view all around the hotel. We took our 12 yr old and 8 yr old grand kids with us, as well. They were so happy with the view and the room, too. While not in a perfect location, a short, easy, convenient drive in any direction gets you to stunning areas. The rooms are wonderful. Updated, CLEAN, comfortable, safe, with great amenities. Employees are also wonderful. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Very nice hotel and very friendly staff. Had great views of the mountains from the room and balcony. Love the fire pits for sitting around at night. Good sized swimming pool with towels provided. Rooms were good sized with nice pillows and beds. Provers a breakfast with a good selection and omelets .

Can't say enough! Ours rooms were clean and quiet. Refrigerator and freezer. Good breakfast. Staff couldn't be friendlier. Water and a snack in every room. Gorgeous view. Lots of restaurants nearby. Right off highway. 39 miles west of Asheville.

I stayedat Best Western Smoky Mountain Inn in July 2019, with my sister and brother in law and kids for our family reunion. This motel was so clean from the grounds to our rooms. We had Breakfast each morning Babs was the breakfast attended, she made sure we had waffles, omelets,oatmeal,bagles,bananas,coffee,and juice, Babs had treats for all the kids,if she wasn't waiting on someone she was cleaning or putting more food out. We will stay here again looking forward to seeing Babs and her smiling face

Love this hotel, stay here every time we're in town. Rooms nicely decorated, great shower, comfortable beds. I wish they would put more effort into breakfast. Would be nice to have some hot options ready to eat. They have waffles and frozen omelets you can order but compared to other hotels the breakfast can use some work.

Great location and very clean. Seemed rather old but very well keep up. Breakfast could be improved, seemed to have run out of fruit and eggs the day we were there. But would recommed for a quick stop near Smoky Mountains.

Our most recent visit included not only the clean rooms, comfortable beds, and scenic surroundings we have come to expect, but also the staff service and courtesy to which we are also accustomed. Deborah was her usual gracious self, the maintenance worker who greeted me cheerily each morning an fixed our tub drain was memorable, the housekeepers were friendly and gracious as usual, and Babs was especially nice.

I found this motel on trip advisor and was happy we did. The location great for all the things we wanted to do,visiting shops quaint downtown Waynesville, scenic lake Junaluska, also 30 min from Casino ,our room very clean, spacious, comfortable,the bathroom seen to have been recently updated, beds comfortable, we had some beautiful views of the mountains. staff friendly and professional, we were also mintues away from some great restaurants. They do serve typical continental breakfast at the hotel. The grounds landscaped beautifully and had alot of outdoor seating, we felt very safe here Definitely be back.

The entire Best Western Team has gone above and beyond to make us feel at home and comfortable. Babs has helped us each morning with amazing breakfast, been extra sweet to our boys, and made sure we have everything we need to fill our bellies and start our day. Gabbi, Terri and Stacy who took care of our rooms and made sure we had everything we needed to be comfortable and feel at home. The grounds are well kept and beautiful, the fitness center is exactly what my husband and I wanted and needed, we couldn't be happier. We will certainly return and recommend to people.

Lovely hotel right off the highway. Clean, large rooms with great Mountain view and wonderful grounds with fire-pits of all things! Friendly, efficient staff in all areas of the hotel and a special mention to Babs in the breakfast room. She made sure we had fresh omelettes and fruit every morning. Quick need to know: the breakfast room is small for the size of the hotel, so no hot items except the waffles and the omelettes are prepared to order. No meat or potatoe dishes. The outdoor pool is not real big and it's shallow, but is incredibly clean. Front desk called each morning to check on what we needed for housekeeping. We were on the area for a motorcycle rally and to do Mountain riding, so stayed for five nights.

From the first phone call to the check out, was a great experience in Smoky Mountain NC. We settled in, went to eat, returned to a great, safe place to sleep in! Would recommend this place to anyone, felt down home friendly and quit pleasing. Great BestWestern in the Smoky Mountains.

Clean rooms, friendly service and a nice continental breakfast with delicious omelets made by the wonderful breakfast attendants! Nice outdoor areas with fire pits. And a pool top with great Mountain Views all around. A great stop if you're visiting Waynesville or passing through!

It was a lovely hotel right off the hwy. The grounds were beautiful and the rooms were quiet and clean. It was about a 10 min. drive to downtown Waynesville and quick access to the highway. The beds were a little soft for us but overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Customer service is A+, nice view of the hills, good rooms with some updates. Shower is hot, internet is speedy, TV is good. USB outlets available by the bed and outlet on the TV. Rooms are a bit on the dark side but I can forgive that. Would stay again driving through.

My husband & I recently stayed here. The room was very clean and comfortable! The beds were very comfortable also. This is a town where you can shop, eat or be entertained. The people seem like "home town folk".

Only 10 minutes or so from the conference I was attending, the hotel provided a welcome respite. The decor and amenities were nice, and the view from the parking lot was breathtaking. I felt relaxed and refreshed while there. The only drawback was the small kitchen/dining area and the limited breakfast choices. But I would be glad to stay again!

We recently stayed at the Best Western Smoky Mountain Inn in Waynesville, NC. After driving 11 hours prior, we were tired to say the least. Upon check in, we were told that there were 3 rooms booked instead of one room for 3 people. We don't know how the error occurred. The woman at the front desk told us that she could not refund us the money for the other two rooms because Best Western only had that authority. She checked us into the one room, then told us she would talk with another coworker when they arrived later around 10 pm and get us a number to call for a refund. In the mean time we went to bed. At 11 pm we received a call from the front desk waking us up in our room. The woman gave us a phone number for Best Western Customer Care and told us that we had to call the number right then or we would never get a refund on our money. It had to be done on the day we checked in. We immediately called. The person who answered at Best Western Customer Care said that because it was a Sunday, they couldn't help us and we should call again in the morning. When we called customer care the next day, they told us that only the Smoky Mountain Inn could refund us, which was the opposite of what the hotel stated. We called the hotel and they said it is not their policy to refund us. When we asked for a manager, the woman said the manager was out until Wednesday. We asked for her name and she wouldn't answer us. She put us on hold. She came back with the name Debra Messer. We asked if anyone was on duty to cover her because we didn't think it was a good idea to wait until Wednesday. She gave us the name, Mr. Shaw. When we asked what his first name was, she rudely said, Mr. We again called Best Western Customer Care and spoke with Brian. He told us he would call the Smoky Mountain Inn, and if they weren't willing to refund us, Best Western would. They would get back to us. A few days later, we heard nothing. We called Best Western Customer care once again and they stated that our case was closed. We told them that it couldn't be because we didn't receive our refund. We asked for a manager and got Jackie. She said she would call the Smoky Mountain Inn in the morning to see what she could work out with them to get us a refund. No call back again. We called again today to get an update only to find out that the hotel told Jackie they wouldn't refund us and the case was closed. The bottom line is that we paid for 3 rooms and only used one. This is bad business on the part of Best Western Corporate for either an honest booking mistake or a system glitch. We will not be staying at any Best Western hotels again.

This hotel was spotless, staff were courteous, and the owners take pride in this operation. The view was to die for, the pool, although small and dated, was very clean, the complementary breakfast was more than adequate, room was comfortable, and the grounds were beautifully landscaped with flowers, shrubs, and a nice comfortable fire pit. Definitely would stay here again. It was only a 2 mile ride to downtown Waynesville and less than 1/2 a mile to the interstate.

Super place to stay for a night or two when travelling the Smokeys. Super service at the reception and next morning at breakfast. Nice clean rooms and a good rocking chair when watching the sun going down. With a sixpack. All good, thanks!

We Paid Full Price Instead Of My Employee Rate Because We Wanted A King Instead Of 2 Doubles... We Overlooked All Of The Hair and Whatever Was All Over The Shower... But Could Not The Mildew/Moldy Shower Curtain...

Highly recommend this hotel, the mountains were breathtaking! The staff were super friendly and very professional. Great breakfast and loved the complimentary gift in our room or water, popcorn, and cookies! There is a great picnic area outside to sit and enjoy a meal, rocking chairs outside the room to sit and enjoy conversation and the relaxing night air. Rooms were clean, Great hotel!

This was a good mid level place to stay. Not fancy but very clean and well laid out. The outside landscaping was nice with multiple places to hang out and relax. The location is very convenient to most areas of Waynesville

I was so pleased when I arrived at this Best Western. Check in and check out was quick and easy, and the staff was friendly. Great location for all the activities I had planned. Good breakfast and the attendant who helps in the breakfast area was so nice and helpful. The room was spacious, clean and well stocked. I slept really good. The housekeeper was pleasant and helpful. The grounds were clean and well taken care of. I plan to return here again when I am in the area.

This motel has been recently updated. It is clean, modern, just nice. The staff is friendly and the location is quiet. About the only negative is that you have to drive/ride to food and drink. But, that said, it's the nicest place I've stayed in Waynesville. Didn't eat breakfast, went to town for real food and coffee.

A nice building and friendly staff . However, we have no confidence that management knows what's going on when it comes to cleaning the rooms. Found A pair of men's underwear left on the floor. Spoke to the manager who said she would contact the owner and get back with me on Wednesday. Which didn't happen. So I called her Thursday afternoon. Still hadn't contacted the general manager. We usually check out the room but were late and tired. Do yourself a favor and check the room out before taking the keys. A great location by the way.

It had been 5+ years since we were here. The difference was astounding!!! New ambiance everywhere. Everyone from front desk to room cleaners were attentive, smiling, and interested in us. The room colors and designs were updated and everything was clean. The beds and pillows were like being in a warm, snugly nest. The staff was never too busy for us, and Babs in the breakfast room was wonderful. She talked and shared with us about the area and talked about the families and travelers she had met. She volunteered to make my sister and me cheese omelets for breakfast, which we accepted. I wish there was a higher rating than EXCELLENT.

All the service staff were very friendly and helpful. The motel itself was very clean and quiet. We stayed for three nights and the cleaning lady left us a welcome bag each day with a very nice welcome note.

Great older hotel, rooms are clean and bed was very comfortable. They have all the amenities. Breakfast options were good. Babs was super friendly and a helpful hostess. Babs also prepares a good little omelette for you when asked. Very good nights stay.

Spent recent Sat night in area, very clean and quiet, excellent breakfast made and served by Babs -- makes great waffle !! Not too crowded, also not rushed off at end of late breakfast. Made a great start to the area -- will stay again !

Do not remember the check in ladies name, but she was fantastic. Room was for 2 nights and cleaning lady cleaned our second day also. Beds were comfortable, room was very clean and had free water bottles, popcorn and cookies.Close to a major highway and shopping area and lots of restaurants to choose from. Debra greeted us with so much warmth and provided everything that we needed. The rooms were great with modern amenities and everything was very clean! The surrounding town is about a five minute drive away but Walmart and other stores are walkable!

Situated on a knoll in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina, the friendly staff at this motel makes this one of my new found favorite places to stay. Rooms were clean and easy to access. Lots of quaint places nearby to visit.

Traveling with family during spring break and stopped here for the night. What a quaint place! From the friendly desk receptionist that greeted us on arrival, the water, cookies and popcorn placed in our room for our girls when we walked in, to Babs assisting us during breakfast - this place certainly stands out! My husband and I always stay at the Best Western while visiting Waynesville. We love it there. Great staff, always clean, never any problems what so ever, and the view is beautiful. Close proximity to shops, restaurants, and just far enough way from the action for down time.

The rooms were always kept very clean and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. The cleaning staff left a bag of goodies and water in the room every day. It was a nice little surprise. They have a nice continental breakfast in the morning with good coffee and other items to choose from. Much better then some places I have been. The staff is very friendly and ready to help you with any needs.

I haven't stayed at a BW in many years. My mistake. This motel was more than we could have asked for. From check-in to check-out, this place was anything but average. The room was spotless. The beds were very comfortable. The TV was huge. And the location was out of the way and quiet. For a chain motel, we were pleasantly surprised

I love the staff! They go out of their way to make you feel ar home. The view is great and I love the little outdoor areas they have throughout the property. They have a small breakfast area, but several things to choose from. I'll be back for my next vacation!

I stayed he with my friend for her Sister's Brithday, Our stay was one of the most memorable ever. The staff was great, We got to meet Babs she is so caring and throughtful.She mad us feel like family. She brought us a gift bag everyday with waters popcorn and cookies in it. The Smoky Mountain Inn is far more than just Another Roadside Hotel. The owners and every one of the staff take ownership in the comfort and happiness of its customers. Waynesville is a beautiful, quaint little town with great gift shopping and the number of fine restaurants. It's nestled between some of the finest Mountain views in the Smoky Mountain Range and the Smoky Mountain inn has a panoramic location to experience it all.

A wonderful hidden gem in the area. Staff are so friendly and caring to make sure all is satisfactory. Updated hotel rooms are outstanding. Highly recommend if you are in the area. The room has been updated to a very impressive new furniture, bathroom, and everything!

My second stay here. The place is clean, staff super friendly and location handy. Rooms seem redone as the shower and tub are new, there is a big flat screen tv and the internet connection works great. Breakfast is not up to the offering I have had at other hotel chains, I didn't see fruit or many health cereals. I ended up elsewhere for breakfast.

This hotel is located up a winding road atop a hill. The rooms open from the outside but it was very clean with new furniture. Outside your door was a very nice view, with picnic tables and children's playground. This is a very nice place for individuals, families or groups. I

The night clerk at this hotel is so nasty, and mean it scary she is the ultimate in a mean person and I highly recommend you avoid this hotel at all cost! You would better to sleep in your car than to stay here!

We've stayed here before and loved it. The hotel is clean, great location to downtown Waynesville shopping and restaurants and The Blue Ridge Parkway (which is the reason we were there). Nice grounds and plenty of parking. The employees are all extremely nice and helpful. We met Babs on this trip and she is a sweetheart. She prepares the welcome bags with water bottles, cookies and popcorn that is waiting for your arrival. Nice touch. Babs also works in the guest breakfast area. She is busy stocking and re-stocking the food and the fresh Krispy Kreme donuts. It closes at 10 AM, but unlike most hotels, they don't rush out to put everything away. If you're eating, they don't rush you. We've been it some hotels where they practically kick you out one second after the breakfast hours are over. Lastly, comfortable beds, nice shower, updated everything. We would stay anywhere else. A few of the other hotels have kind of sketchy reviews, allow smoking and pets in the room. This hotel does not. People with allergies don't want to be mixed in with smoking rooms or in a room where pets have been on everything. It can trigger asthma, sneezing and have other side effects.

We stayed at this hotel for three nights and had a wonderful experience. The front desk staff were friendly and we appreciated the complementary water cookie and popcorn each day of our stay. We did not take part in the complimentary breakfast but it looked like it was substantial. The hotel had a gym which I appreciated. Location was perfect with easy access to highway and grocery shopping. We frequented the ingles next door which has a Starbucks inside, although make sure you go to Panacea coffee company in Waynesville. We would definitely stay again!

We stayed here fit for my niece wedding last weekend,The staff was great, Babs was so very nice and helpful she made us feel like we were at home with family. Have to say thank you Babs we will be back to see you soon.

Clean, newly updated, comfortable room! Debra was extremely helpful at check in, and at check out. Beautiful view of the colorful fall leaves of the mountains surrounding the hotel. We also enjoyed the light breakfast. All of the staff was very helpful!

It was October 7, 18 and I was too tired to drive, so I drove into the Best Western Smokey Mountain Inn Maggie Valley,NC. I found the lights rather awkward to operate. The coffee maker was near the closet. The plug to plug in the coffee maker was tight to a funny looking sink. So I carried the coffee maker to the table next to the heater/ ac unit. The drapes kept blowing across the table, I fixed it temporary to eat. There was no wastebasket near the table, I look straight toward the the bathroom, sink areas, 2 wastebaskets with only the thickness of a interior wall. Breakfast was good, but with my walker I had trouble going thru the line of food. One woman was just standing there, I saw she was waiting for a toast to pop. I had to walk around her as she wasn't moving. The chair near the front door was very sticky a little soap and water could fix the chair. I think the clerk said some rooms allowed dogs with the room. I wanted to buy 2 waste baskets to give to Best Western, but I wanted to get a early start.

Both Debra and Veronica were especially helpful when we found ourselves in high season and our condo fell through. Cannot say enough good things about them. Clean room, nice view, and really great customer service!

The area is lovely and close to Asheville and the Smoky Mountains. Looking out the hotel window provides a view of the mountains. Rooms and common areas are very clean, and the staff is extremely helpful and courteous. Debra, the front desk manager, and Victoria on the front desk when we checked in, went out of their way to provide excellent customer service with a smile. The area feels safe. Has fitness room and pool. Liked best: southern hospitality. Like least - lamps: lampshades could be longer to cover the bulbs so light does not shine in eyes.

I visited this hotel to attend a wedding after a 30 hour trip from Europe. I had trouble getting a cab, so the owner drove me into town for a rental car. The staff, Debra, mailed a package home for me so I did not have to overstuff my luggage. The motel is not fancy but it is very clean, well located, and the staff is the best. David in Sarasota

My husband and I recently stayed here. We came to Waynesville for the "Apple Festival". Our beds were comfortable and the room itself was "well kept". We will return!! This place has a great view of the mountains and also a great place to view the Fall foliage!

My husband and I stayed four nights at the Best Western Smoky Mountain Inn and enjoyed every moment. I used the exercise room and everything was clean and in tip-top shape, the staff was extremely helpful and nice, the grounds were peaceful and the view was FABULOUS! We will return.

Great Hotel, they do everything for you. Nice and warming welkom, with personal touch. Fresh water and refreshments in our room. Very clean both room and breakfast space, nice places to sit outside, witch we haven't seen a the USA. We did drink our wine and eat our meal over there. It is great!

Loved our stay at this hotel! Enjoyed the sunshine sitting on the bench outside of our room on the 2nd floor. We had a great view of the Smoky mountains! Enjoyed the short drive to main street downtown Waynesville and shopped and had lunch! Room is comfortable and clean and the bed was very comfortable too.

We stayed here for a week, two years ago while attending a Bladder Cancer Survivor's Conference in the local area, plus some sightseeing. We came back again this year (9/13-9/16) because of the outstanding service we had received at that time. We were certainly not disappointed. The front desk staff were all excellent & our housekeeper, Carolyn was fantastic. Carolyn had cleaned our room two years ago & we specifically requested her again. We had evacuated the Coast because of Hurricane Florence & then had to leave Waynesville sooner than we had wanted because the heavy rains also came this way. Sorry for the delay in posting this review, but we were dealing with some Hurricane clean-up.

The hotel is amazing, you couldn't improve on the mountain view or the quality of the staff. Close to shopping resturants, with in minutes you are anywhere you need to go Will definitely make this are go to hotel in waynesvill.

Let me start off by saying this is a true motel and not a hotel. They still have doors on the outside. The rooms have huge glass windows which can not be completely covered and still let in sunlight because the sides aren't completely covered by the curtains and my usual remedy for that is taking the clip pants hangers and clipping the curtains together but they actually their hangers locked to the closet rod ( that did not make me feel safe as it means theft is an issue) and since the curtains do not completely close on the sides you could see a sliver into everyone's room and it was really bad at night which made me feel even more unsafe. The beds are possibly the worst I have encountered in a hotel and the sheets were so scratchy, not sleek and soft like I expect at hotels. The bathroom was by far the smallest I have ever had in a hotel as well. The napkins left for us had been used and we did not have any Kleenex left for us either. The highway noise is loud as well. There was mildew all on the shower liner. I truly can't believe people have rated this place so high. I have stayed in Hampton Inn's for a third of the cost it was here and had much nicer accommodations as well as a full breakfast, not snacks and danishes like they serve here. No way would I come back here and it is also very tacky to leave an envelope to tip the housekeeper, especially when your room was not cleaned very well and no kleenex was left. I try to always find a positive and the one here is the water is extremely hot.

Service is truly excellent; exceedingly well maintained property. Every staff person was friendly, and most helpful if need be. I looked forward to returning to this BW, at the end of each day, after exploring up on the Blue Ridge Parkway.

EXCELLENT lady (Victoria?) at the front desk checked us in and made us feel very welcome. Beautiful little property. Very well maintained and updated. Chose a 2nd floor room with a view. Traffic noise from the highway was unobtrusive. Nice little gift bag of water and treats were left in our room to be discovered later. Felt like we were back in the 60's with the feel of people who CARE about offering a comfortable, pleasant motel experience. We explored the town the next day, and found the same attitude prevailed. Had dinner at a steakhouse nearby (very good). Breakfast was scant, but free. Lovely experience. We'll go back when we're in the area.

I don't know that it is worth the amount they charge but it is a very nice property that has take great care with things. From very nice landscaping to oversized tv's in the rooms to great shower heads, they have certainly tried to make it appealing. Customer service has always been first class, too.

Stayed here for two nights, as it turned out! Booked one night at first, but extended for another night due to hurricane Florence, and the rainfall in the area! The staff was super friendly, helping with info about the weather situation, and extending our stay with no problems, in the same room and all, and even at a good rate! And then I haven't even mentioned the view, which is awesome! Unfortunately, due to the weather, the outdoor pool was closed, but I can imagine floating around in the pool with a view of the mountains will be amazing!

Stayed in this motel several times over the years and thought it was clean, good value. Learned there is new owner (3 yrs) and enjoyed some upgrades. Most of all, we enjoyed the unexpected customer service! Janet, Debra and Babs were very kind and hospitable. Made our stay very pleasant. Only complaint is small breakfast area but on the other hand, breakfast was great with waffles, krispy creme doughnuts and the works.

We stayed here for a wedding. They were out of rooms but were very accommodating and was able to find us a room last minute. Beds were extremely comfortable and the complimentary water and cookies was a nice touch. The view of the mountains was also very pretty. Would stay here again!

We stayed for three nights here and found it very pleasant. Our room was clean and had everything we needed. The view was lovely. The breakfast was not the best we had ever had but it was adequate. The staff were mostly friendly, although there was one day when there was two more mature ladies working on reception who were not particularly friendly. No eye contact, no greeting, nothing. However, the other younger members of staff were absolutely lovely and very welcoming. It makes such a huge difference and one expects a smile at the very least in the hospitality industry. We found the location to be very good for what we wanted to do; Blue Ridge Parkway, Smokey Mountains...and not too far to visit Dollywood and Cades Cove.

My husband and I stayed here only one night but we were impressed! One of the employees, Babs, gave my husband info on the place and found out it is owned by an American Indian & his son who did the renovations. Quality materials and workmanship show! Even tho the bathroom is tiny, it has the best bathtub and showerhead I've ever seen in a motel. Rooms are spacious and the sink and counter are on the outside of the bathroom where the toilet and tub/shower are located. Beds were a little soft but comfortable. Room colors are dark but inviting. Large flat-screen TV. Like the large front window. Nice continental breakfast items. This is an old-style motel - just 2 stories - and our room had a nice view of the mountains. Grounds are well maintained. All employees we encountered were very friendly. This place is SW of Waynesville and there is an old barn with cows as you drive up to the property. But there is a strip mall nearby with a Wal-Mart and also a good restaurant - Clyde's. We would definitely stay here again when in the area.

Clean, well kept, friendly and attentive staff, reasonably priced and a great view! Waynesville is a wonderful small town in a very scenic area of the Smokey Mountains. This hotel is by far the best in the area. I always stay there,

We usually stay at another BW to move our daughter into college but it was too pricey so we chose this one. This is a cute place built into the side of a hill. One side of rooms face a well manicured hill and are quiet, one level. The other side of rooms have nice views of the mountains but pick up the highway noise, there are two levels on this side. There are a couple fire pits on the property for lounging. They have benches and rocking chairs out on the sidewalk and porch for use. There was at least one if not more picnic table. The breakfast space is quite small but good. If you are a car or truck pulling a trailer you must be proficient with it (backing) as I saw no easy way to turn it around . You can park it on the back side but you may find it challenging to get out. One of our rooms had no door to the bathroom sink area so when you turn the light on it shines out into the room. Our other room had a glass door. You could not see thru the glass but it did nothing for keeping the light out of the bedroom . Our AC made a racket when it came on at night. We did not use the pool as it was raining. All the staff was very friendly.

We dropped our daughter off at WCU and spend a couple nights at the BW. The rooms are nice and the A/C works great! Service was warn/ friendly and madw us feel like family. Clean and located near WCU. We olan to visit again soon.

I never could have imagined a better place to stay for one night. The room was clean and fresh. There were unexpe ted amenities such as a "fresh remote" bag, a microwave, and complimentary water bottles. The bathroom looked like one in a higher end hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

This property is located not far from the highway, but it is far enough so that you have great views and aren't hearing tons of highway noise. It is also located close to Smoky Mountain National park, which is a short drive away. The grounds of this hotel are very nice, and the on-site pool was also a nice addition, but is on the smaller side. As other posters have mentioned, the rooms face the outside, so it is possible to hear outside noise. The beds at this location were both clean and comfortable, and the "gift bags" of cookies, water & popcorn were also a really nice touch. The bathroom was decent size as well. Rooms were about average size, and had heating/ a/c options (a little hard to get the room temperature what we wanted it to be). Breakfast was about what we expected, as this is a smaller property, so they had make-your-own waffles, pastries, cereal & yogurt. Staff was good, but it seemed to take awhile for the check-in process. We were told when we arrived that they weren't sure that they'd have a room available...even though we had pre-booked online. They also told us that they had to process checkouts first, which is understandable - but the front desk person seemed to have other priorities rather than making sure their guests felt welcomed. I think it was likely a misunderstanding on both parts. All in all, this was a good property to stay at, but we didn't experience anything unique (other than the views) to give this a higher rating.

I generally avoid motels whose rooms open to the outside parking. Not this one. The immediate impression is a well landscaped area located on a hill above the city and highways. Checking was a breeze. The rooms were very clean and inviting and fairly spacious. There was a small welcome gift. Rooms were equipped with a small refrigerator, microwave and coffee pot. The pool area looked very clean and inviting. The staff was great and attentive. Breakfast is a Continental meal with an added benefit of Krispy Kream doughnuts. All and all a great visit. I would recommend this motel to everyone. A nice place at a reasonable price.

Very comfortable place to stay. It near our family so that's the biggest draw for us. They are always very accommodating at getting us in a room that we prefer. They are always very friendly and helpful

I stayed here for two nights on business this week.They left me a snack packet every day with 2 big water bottles and popcorn and cookies! The products like soap and shampoo were high grade. The towels were fluffy. The bed was very comfortable. I'd recommend this motel! It was raining the entire time I was there but I know it would be beautiful, especially in the fall!

This is a top-notch Best Western property. The grounds and landscaping are immaculate and inviting. The room, while Best Western standard, is as clean as a whistle. As a Rewards member, it was a nice touch to find a rewards bag already waiting in our room with bottled water and snacks for us. Some other reviews complained about lack of a hot breakfast. True, no hot eggs, but hard boiled eggs and yogurt for protein, and a nice selection of pancakes, waffles and continental breakfast favorites. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Kitschy but fun touch in dining room with Krispy Kreme paper hats with Best Western initial logo.

Lucked up and found a room here at the last minute (only 2 left). Check-in was very easy, our AAA was definitely accepted, and we got a very nice room with parking right at the front door. Check out the next morning was handled by Debra, the Front Desk Manager, and we received excellent, friendly service as she made sure we received the applicable discount and that our accommodations met our expectations. Will definitely stay again; highly recommended.

I have had a 100% satisfaction here at this motel. Quality and value is great but the people here are the best. they are knowledgeable of the area as well as Asheville, NC area. Always enjoyable here.

I stayed at this hotel for 10 hours total and was very satisfied with the ease of check-in past 2 AM. The beds were comfortable and the hotel was super clean. I'm usually skeptical about outdoor hotels but this one was very peaceful and had wonderful views. This was in very close proximity to hiking trails and waterfalls. There was one mishap where the carbon monoxide alarm was going off nonstop in my room for no reason but the staff was prompt and rectified the situation ASAP. Great staff, great service.

Not a fan of the chain due to previous experiences, was skeptical about staying here but was best choice among the ones available for what we were doing. Hotel rooms were clean. Beds were extremely comfortable. Staff was friendly. And surroundings were nice. Would stay here next time.

Very Nice Motel in Waynesville NC and one of the few motels in the area. Most are bed and Breakfast places for Waynesville. This motel had a Beautiful view of the Mountains and was nicely decorated and landscaped. Very relaxing. Staff worked with us on check-out.

Great location. Staff is very accommodating and friendly. Surrounding grounds and public areas very wander comfortable. Excellent motorcycle ride(s) base location with great amenities.The Motorcycle museum, Blue Ridge and Smokey Mountain park are located nearby.

We enjoyed our brief stay here. The outside of the facility was attractive, staff was friendly and the bed was comfortable. The room and bathroom were spacious enough so that we didn't feel closed in. Would definitely stay here again.

My husband & I stayed 1 night at this motel on the way home from Ohio. The beds were very comfortable and the room was very clean and nice!! We will return in the Fall for another stay. Great Town of Waynesville.

I was in the Waynesville area to lol for a vacation home for our family. We stayed at the Best Western at two separate times. It is an excellent motel - very clean and extremely friendly, helpful staff. I would encourage any friends and family to stay there if they are n the area.

Your view of the mountains is beautiful. The chairs outside your rooms make it quaint and very nice to sit and enjoy the fact that you are nestled in the mountains. That is the plus of the motel that you can sit and enjoy the views. Since it is a motel there was a lot of noise outside of our room with kids running and people talking. There was not much of a sound buffer and therefore we didn't get to sleep until very late because of kids running up and down the outside of our rooms and people up late talking. You can hear everything. Big SHOUT out to Ashley who helped us out at the front desk. She was amazing, kind and helpful! She is a keeper for your motel for sure!!

My husband and I stayed here in June 2018 for 2 nights and enjoyed it very much. The room was large with a king bed that was very comfortable. The bathroom was also large and spotlessly clean. It had a small refrigerator and microwave. There was plenty of room for storage. The breakfast room was nice and the food was adequate with the usual cereals, waffle maker, coffee, tea, milk, juice, oatmeal, etc. The landscaping was beautiful with lots of pretty bushes and flowers. There were several very nice swings, tables and chairs to use to enjoy the outside. The views of the mountains were very nice.

I don't think I could say enough good things about my stay there. First off, I needed 2 rooms at the last minute for 4 nights. We were guaranteed 1 night and then the rest of the nights were iffy because they were booked. The front desk staff, including Debra, went over and beyond to keep us in our rooms for the entire 4 nights. The rooms were clean and nice. The views of the mountains were beautiful. The flowers and grounds were so beautiful and peaceful. We enjoyed the grounds very much. The breakfast was very good! The entire staff, including cleaning staff, breakfast staff, front desk staff, grounds staff were so friendly and helpful. I have never stayed at a hotel that I enjoyed as much and felt so welcome. We are getting back there as soon as we can!!

Besides the title, the beds were VERY comfortable as were the pillows. The only complaint I have is the bathroom was tiny, the shower curtain wasn't quite long enough so the floor got wet, and the tub didn't drain properly. That said, I would definitely return.

Very friendly check in. Rooms remodeled and very clean. In your room are two bottled waters popcorn and a cookie! Nice lovely pool area and lots of places to sit around the property and take in the views.

Traveling home from Charlotte and wanted a quiet stop with a view away from the city. Found this gem and will be back. Room was the cleanest that I've found in a hotel in years, grounds were beautiful and exceptionally maintained. Husband and I enjoyed sitting on the swing relaxing before bed and sitting outside enjoying the free light breakfast and coffee watching the numerous birds and squirrels. All staff were incredibly nice and offered great suggestions of local spots to visit. Went out back to watch the sun rise over the mountains by the sitting area near sign. Only things that could've been better and are not that big of a deal: fire pit being lit a bit later, pool maybe a bit later and mattresses could use an upgrade. However we slept fine and still found a wonderful relaxing stay as a couple. Just wonderful. Oh and the goody bag was such a sweet surprise upon getting into the room!!!! Also they have cloths in office for motorcycles:)

We travel alot around the country. Always looking for affordable clean comfy hotels. This Best Western is a gem. Very very clean. Great views, and service was fast and lots of smiles. The place has outdoor rocking chairs in front of each room so you can take in the beautiful views. A fire pit with chairs. A gas grill and table so you can picnic. The room it self clean comfy bed, refrigerator, big screen tv and even a goodie bag to welcome you with a cookie and microwave popcorn. So together this allowed us to unwind feel like we had comfort on a great visit. Highly recommend this place.

Amazing and friendly staff. So many personal touches and great people, including the owner and his all hist staff and especially Debra, Dennis and Babs. Room doors open to the great outdoors, with outside chairs and benches to kick back and relax. Spotless and updated rooms, all new beds and furniture, new bed sheets and thick, comfortable towels. The hotel is located a mile or so from Waynesville downtown with an amazing view of the Smoky Mountains. We've been staying here for the past 5 years every May and we plan to be back for many more. If you want high value for your money, modern amenities, a friendly staff and a quiet place that's off the beaten path you won't find anything better - in Waynesville or anywhere else.

I love this place! The rooms are on the outside, but the quality of room is very modern and upgraded. It does not feel like a cheep motel at all! The staff is very friendly, and they give you a welcome package with cookies, brownies, and water in the room. The beds are comfortable, although the bathroom was a little small. The breakfast has more options than you need, including a waffle maker and multi-function coffee maker. The view of the mountains outside is amazing! I stayed with my husband and 2 sons, and we had a wonderful time. I will definitely stay here again!

I'd give this hotel an excellent rating except that the facility itself is older. It's been rehabbed but the counters are low and there isn't a lot of storage space (drawers, etc.). Our room was sparkling clean though, with a fridge and microwave. The service was first rate! The manager, Debra, was able to upgrade our room on arrival (at no additional charge) after we'd had to change our reservation dates. All of the staff, from the cheerful breakfast room lady to the maintenance guy (who fixed a squeaky door) did their jobs with a great attitude. We had one day where housekeeping seemed to have been interrupted before they finished with our bathroom. When we called for clean towels and shampoo, not one, but two staff members came to the door within 10 minutes. Definitely recommend this hotel for location and excellent service.

This hotel is 5 minuets away from the Folkmoot center. Close to several restaurants, and has a lovely view. The hotel looks recently renovated. Our room had a microwave and mini fridge with a freezer.. which was large enough for a small bag of ice or a few TV dinners. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was large and well appointed. The breakfast had mini muffins, breads, bread for toast, boiled eggs, microwave sausage biscuits, waffles, juice, coffee, tea, milk, cereal, yogurt, and fresh fruit.

Really good hotel, extremely nice staff and very accommodating. They went out of their way to try to assist you in any way even before you ask. Offering tips on food and sights you might like. Also offered to go to Walmart to make a purchase for me when I suggested I was tried and planned not to go.

We were greeted by a friendly staff and had a great experience. The room was spotless with a very comfortable bed, refrigerator, freezer and microwave. The front side of the facility has a great mountain view while the back side is very quiet and private which we liked. Nice rocking chairs outside the room and we were made to feel at home. The staff was great, (Jasper was awesome) and we will return again for sure. Highly recommend this facility to anyone traveling in the Waynesville area. Close to shopping and a couple of great restaurants as well.

This hotel has a great balcony view of the mountains. It was nice to sit outside the room on rockers, drink a nice glass of wine and just enjoy the scenery and quiet atmosphere of the area. The hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful.

The hotel was conveniently situated and the staff were amazing. There was always someone available and very friendly/helpful. There is a small gym which no one else used and that was important to me as NC was experiencing very cold weather. The room was spacious, comfortable and convenient.

We stayed at the Best Western Smoky Mountain Inn on March 30, 2018 and it was a very peaceful place to stay. My husband & I stayed in a wheelchair accessible room, which was a little over furnished but still beautiful. Although there wasn't any tub bathtub seat in the room this was quickly taken care off by a friendly staff girl. In my opinion the entrance table and clothing closet should be removed from this accessible room only to be replaced with a clothing rack with shelf near the far end of the TV stand wall nearest the washroom. The room was pleasingly clean and beds comfortable. The popcorn, cookie and water gift bag was a joyful treat. The breakfast met our wants and needs. The property location does require a vehicle to commute to the quaint downtown area. The hotel location does provide and beautiful mountain view with outdoor chairs and fire pit, I would recommend this hotel as a nice place to stay. Great location to connect with the picturesque Smokey Mountain highway. The old 23(441) Highway into Ober Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Dolly Land areas.

We arrived late in the evening, but that was no problem. We were checked into our room in a matter of minutes. The rooms were great for the price and the view was amazing! The breakfast offered had a nice variety. We would definitely stay here again.

We stay here a couple times a year visiting family and it's always a great stay. Especially since their maybe renovations. The rooms are modern, clean, large and functional. Beds are great, nice pillows. HUGE tv (we did have issues with connection that we couldn't fix, kept going in and out, was blamed on wind...) Grounds are well kept and usually there's a basketball net in the back upper parking lot (busted during our visit) Great breakfast with lots of choices. No brainier to stay here.

The location was great with easy access to the Blueridge Parkway. My room was quiet and clean. Bed was comfortable. I only ate "breakfast" here once -- minimal for okay. Early risers are out of luck except for coffee or tea. Staff were very friendly and helpful -- good advice for places to go for photography.

Stayed here for four nights for a family wedding nearby. Staff was amazing from start to finish! Monica was very hospitable at check in and made the stay very pleasurable! They really personalize the experience and we really appreciated it. Bethany made breakfast great every morning and we loved her personality! Jasper was great too in providing towels and anything we needed all week! you have a great team and they all made the hotel feelclokw home away from home!

We stayed one night. The room was clean, no chemical cleaning smells, beds were comfortable - had a great night's sleep. Very accessible to Asheville, outdoor activites, restaurants. The view is beautiful and the staff was friendly and very helpful. They also called me almost immediately after we left, when they realized that we had forgotten a couple things. So we had time to return to pick up our items. Looking forward to staying there for returning trips.

We've been staying here at least twice a month for 17 years and wouldn't stay anywhere else in this area! Clean rooms, beautiful views and excellent customer service!! The staff here treats you like family! They gave us (one of their regulars) a gift at Christmas! What hotel does that? You can't beat the view while laying by the pool!

Not the newest establishment in town but most likely the nicest people. Our wedding guests/family (almost 30 rooms) made this home for 3 days. The staff was remarkable. The rooms are remodeled and nicely appointed. The location is perfect - tucked away from the traffic, and yet an easy drive to the delights of Waynesville and surrounding area. If you are okay with it not being the Ritz, you'll enjoy your stay at this well cared-for, older hotel, being cared for by a five star team.

My husband and I have travelled extensively and have always been impressed by the very friendly service we usually receive in America. But the service we encountered at this hotel was, without exception,amongst the worst we have ever encountered. Our existence was not acknowledged on our arrival when the receptionist was busy with a call which she did not try to curtail. Instead of an apology for keeping us waiting, or simply a greeting, she demanded to know if we had a reservation. Given the extremely cold temperatures I asked for extra blankets after I discovered that there was only one thin blanket on each of the two double beds, I was told that they were “sold out” of blankets. It was only after I pointed out that given he fact that this was a highly rated hotel, that the room door did not close properly and that there was air gushing in under the door that she miraculously found two more blankets. Check out was met with the same lack of hospitality. Added to the bad service was the fact that the double beds are really small and the breakfast a frugal affair in a tiny room which could not accommodate all the guests. I have read the other reviews and can only speculate that these reviewers have not spent time in good, cheap road side motels. Given the prices charged for the service provided, this establishment should be ashamed of itself.

Planned a trip to Asheville, hotels there were to high, found this Best Western & glad we did. Convenient to downtown Waynesville, Asheville & everything in between. The property is quiet, well kept, the rooms are clean & we even got a welcome bag! Only negative is the breakfast room could be bigger, not lot of places to sit. Other than that a great value

Spent the night before heading skiing the next morning with the family. Staff was friendly. Room was nice. Had tv, microwave, refigerator and freezer. Comfortable for family of five. Would stay again.

We stayed here in our visit to nearby activities in Asheville and Bryson City. Nice and Clean place. The staff was great and helpful for our needs. We had an added bonus of snow during the visit as well.

I came here and it had a welcoming feeling , Tami went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed there she also helped out a lot the room was good the bed was comfortable the breakfast was good i would recommend staying here to everyone :) also it was nice and peaceful with a nice view

We love staying hear on the way to Tennessee. The service is wonderful. They continually are freshening up the property with paint, plants, etc. Nice to see that. Great views. Easy access from Route 74.

We have been staying at this immaculate motel while visiting family in Waynesville for years. Everything changes. But this place has progressed from "great" to "best in class" as far as we're concerned. The folks here do everything they can to keep guests safe, comfortable and happy. They offer one of the most delicious & meticulously serviced continental breakfasts I've ever experienced in a cozy dining area which happens to be right next to the exercise room. The beds are comfortable, everything is clean and newly renovated, & there's a microwave, etc in each room. Kids seem to do very well there. I've never seen an innkeeper team that cares more or does more to make your stay a pleasant one. If you're in Waynesville, NC or nearby, I can't recommend this Best Western highly enough. We rely on those folks when we visit Waynesville several times a year. Try to book ahead if you're planning to visit the area at peak times such as Memorial Day, etc.

We booked this room about a month in advance and was a little concerned since our room was on the 2nd floor with stairs. My wife is particularly handicapped and stairs are a no go for us. However we were assured that access to the top floor would not be an issue and it wasn't. They uniquely designed the hotel by digging it into the backside of a small mountain. From the back parking area you had access through a breezeway to the 2nd floor. Our room was clean and fresh and had a great view of the mountains. The only drawback for some may be that it's within sight of the freeway. However I heard very little noise from the traffic which dies down after rush hour. The staff is super friendly and very helpful. The landscaping is pretty and the evening quite and restful. My only drawback was that the bed was a little firmer than I'm used to. This may not be an issue for many. I will definitely stay here again. The price was good for what we received. An overall pleasant stay. Allen... AKA The Day Trippers

This two story motel is built using a design from the 1960's (though it is much newer than that)--outside corridors, window facing the corridor, vanity at the back of the room. The drawback to this design is that to have privacy, the curtains must remain shut. The window cannot be opened for fresh air. The heating/air conditioning unit draws air from the outside, but the "fan only" setting has been disabled, so there is no air circulation in the room unless the unit is heating or cooling. That said, the room condition was excellent, with new tile in the shower and new counter top on the vanity. The room also has a microwave and refrigerator, desk and sofa chair, good lighting, ample electrical outlets. There is some traffic noise in rooms facing the highway (the hotel is located on a hillside above the roadway). Rooms 222 and higher are in the back building facing away from the road and may be quieter. Breakfast, included in the room rate, was adequate and staff kept the selections resupplied. There is no elevator to reach the 2nd floor.

Overall the hotel itself is very nice but the hotel's computer needs some work or people that know what they are doing. Arrived on Friday Nov 10 to find 7 people in the lobby. One lady in a group of three looks to be very upset. She is asked to step aside so that desk person could check in the next couple. Then back to the lady that was at the desk, and then I learn that she has been there for two hours trying to check in. They had lost her reservation. She is once again asked to step aside and the next lady gets checked in. Then her traveling partner goes to check in and her reservation is not in the system even though she has an confirming email. So she is asked to step aside. So now I am at the desk, WOW my reservation is in the system. So I get checked in. Go to the room only to find that all the towels in the bathroom are in the floor and some are in the toilet. Back to the front desk. Had to wait again for 20 minutes just to get towels while she is still dealing with the other ladies. Next day we return to our room only to find our key cards do not work. Go back to the front desk only to find that I am NOT in the system. Someone else is listed in my room. So took some time to get this straightened out. Then today I get an email saying my reservation is confirmed. Today being 11-14-17 and we stayed at the hotel, 11-10 and 11-11 nights. I booked the room way before then. Like I said the hotel was nice but the computer system needs some work. The only thing I would say is not very good about the hotel is the SMALL breakfast area. Not big enough when the hotel is fully booked. My advise if staying here..... bring all you can to support that you have booked your room, will may need it. Would I stay here again..... Maybe.

Thanks goodness for GPS Navigation as this property is hidden at the top of a hill with signage that is small and difficult to see from the road. The reward was the view from the hilltop! Requirements for a great stay are a clean room, comfy bed and pillows, and a great shower and this place delivered. If we had stayed in warmer weather, it would have been nice to take advantage of the rocking chairs on the balcony or the quaint sitting areas by the lobby along the driveway. The rollaway we had looked a little worse for wear but was comfortable. Breakfast offered the regular carb staples, just wished for bacon or sausage to go with the pancake & waffles.Would stay here again if in the area

I'm very funny about anywhere that isn't home but I felt so comfortable here! Very clean, super sweet staff and comfy beds. We only got to stay one night on our short wkend trip already plan to go back and will definitely stay here. Oh and the views right outside our room were gorgeous!

Clean rooms, comfortable beds, great breakfast selection, near the highway but away from the noise. We prefer the upper (back) level. Grounds are well kept with attention to detail. They have a pool, fire pit, grill, picnic table, fitness room, rocking chairs, a swing and chairs to sit outside. Also, plenty of plugs for electronics and they sanitize their TV remote control...it's the little things that please me! The reason I rated very good is that working with the reception desk is challenging at check-in.

Probably the best run hotel I have ever stayed in. Plus you can't beat the knockout location with stunning mountain views and pastoral setting. Great, attentive staff. Modest price. Quiet. Very nice rooms.

The BW in Waynesville, NC is exceptional! The location is very pretty - on top of a hill with a nice flat parking area. The location is near Hwy 74 (Smoky Mountain Freeway) so was easy to find. The employees were unusually gracious and welcoming. Our room was very clean and the breakfast was good. I highly recommend this Best Western Hotel to travelers in western North Carolina.

We spent a long weekend in the mountains and stayed at this hotel. The rooms were very clean and well appointed. The view of the mountains was beautiful. We had a nice welcome bag with water, popcorn and cookies which was refilled every day. All the employees were very nice and helpful.

Love this place !! Great view,close to town and Interstate.Debra and Dennis are great people !! They are very friendly and helpful if you need anything. The cleaning staff are great as well. If you need extra towels,coffee,anything,,they will provide it.

Stayed for one night while driving the Blue Ridge. The location is convenient to both Parkway access and local food and shopping. Room was very clean and everything worked. There is some traffic noise from the nearby freeway, but it is tolerable. Breakfast was adequate and the dining area was kept clean by a very active attendant. A very good value!

If you're visiting Waynesville, this is a great place to stay! It is very clean, the beds are very comfortable, and the staff are great to accommodate your needs! They have a "continental type" breakfast and it is very "tasty" ! The view of the mountains from our room was great!

Everyone from the desk help to the room help we're professional and friendly. Janet greeted us every morning with a smile and shared info on the area. Carolyn was also very helpfu. Perfect location close to the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Smokey Mountain National Park.

When pulling up to the inn the landscaping is very nice and clean. Check in was fast and friendly with recommendations on dinner places which turned out to be great. Rooms were very clean and up to date.

Nice amenities of spring water, popcorn, and cookies in room. Newly remodeled and very clean with comfortable beds. New wide shower heads are a nice touch in the bathroom.

The Best Western Smoky Mountain Inn is a great place to stay. Nestled in Waynesville, it is clean, quiet, and a great value. Each room is equipped with a refrigerator. Beds are comfortable. The showerheads are FABULOUS! The staff is pleasant, friendly and polite. This is an easy recommendation for anyone looking for a place to stay.

A very clean motel with nicely remodeled rooms. Very comfortable beds, a friendly staff at the front counter and housekeeping made the stay very pleasurable. The only downside is the location, not really near any restaurants or local attractions.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights 9/13 - 9/15. For a budget hotel, this was amazing. I've stayed at much costlier hotels that were not nearly as nice. My room had two queen beds. The room was sufficiently large so as not to feel crowded. It had a practically new hotel size refridgerator and freezer. The flat screen TV was probably a 42 inch or larger with an excellent picture including a large menu of channels. The beds were comfortable. The AC worked well. The shower was clean and worked well. There were quality soaps, shampoo, and lotions. In the room was a guest bag with two large complimentary waters, chocolate chip cookies, and microwave popcorn. Besides the room, the hotel had a good fitness room with nearly new appearing equipment. Breakfast was more than sufficient for a budget hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. The exterior of the hotel was beautiful and well maintained. Outside the rooms were rocking chairs and benches to enjoy the beautiful views and weather. The pool was clean and well lit at night with chairs and tables. There was also a smoking area with a gas fireplace. All in all, this was the nicest hotel in its price range I have ever stayed at. I highly recommend it.

I stay here almost every year. This is a very comfortable hotel. The rooms are clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. The view of the mountains to the south is beautiful. Thank you to Debra at the front desk who helped me get signed up for Best Western rewards.

Great little hotel, only complaint is price was a bit high. Very convenient to downtown. Big screen TV was awesome for some Football watching! Breakfast is nice in the morning, sit on the swing with your coffee and the clean mountain air.

I travel a great deal and this hotel is one of the best I've been in for quite a while. Spotlessly clean with great housekeeping. Fantastic view overlooking the pool and mountains. Friendly, helpful front desk. Easy, quick check-in. Well-maintained grounds with lovely landscaping, picnic tables, cushioned seats at a fire pit, even rocking chairs on the outside walkways. My room appeared to be newly renovated, very clean and great beds. Even a comfy chair and ottoman. Not to mention the HUGE flat screen TV that really impressed the two children with us. The free breakfast was standard hotel fare but a good variety of items that were restocked immediately as needed. Very clean with 100% health grade. One of the cleanest, safest feeling stays in a long while.

After a pretty rough night at a motel in Maggie Valley we decided to spend our second night here on a recent weekend getaway. I am so glad we did! Very clean rooms, minutes from downtown Waynesville, lots of outside picnic tables and chairs to enjoy the beauty of the surrounding mountains, rocking chairs outside of every room, and Deb at the front desk is amazing! I could stay a week here. We will definitely be back. Thank you to Deb and all the wonderful staff!

Amber who checked us in was very friendly and helpful. The suite we rented for 4 days was beautiful with a king bed & large TV. The grounds are gorgeous. Everyone that we came in contact with was very nice. The hotel is near restaurants and shopping. Go to Clyde's restaurant for country food and the best omelets.

We just did an overnight while visiting family but have to say it was great. Both night and morning desk clerks were friendly and speedy. Room was clean, and they provided water, cookies and popcorn. Nice touch was dark washcloth to remove makeup, I always feel bad when provided with white. Towels were soft and absorbant. Rocking chairs outside. Only complaints were it would have been nice to have extra blanket available in the room as bedding was thin and breakfast area is very small and cramped.

We have stayed here three times and had positive experiences each time. The staff was quick to meet any special requests, the room was clean and comfortable, and the grounds were lovely. We frequently sat outside, enjoying the beautiful mountain view. My husband enjoyed using the fitness room as well. All in all, three great stays. We will return!

We stayed here for one night before driving to the Smoky Mountains. It was a great hotel with a wonderful view. Clean, comfortable rooms. My daughter used the exercise room and said it was really nice. Breakfast was good with a variety of items. We would recommend and stay again if ever in the area!

This is my second stay at the Best Western Smoky Mountain Inn. I was here for the Lake Logan triathlon. I had requested a room on the second floor with its own parking space. I arrived early and was told that my room wasn't ready yet. I sat on the swing and enjoyed the beautiful scenery while I waited. I was happy that the 2 free bottles water were there. The rooms were renovated within the last 2 years. They have a big flat screen TV, refrigerator with a freezer and a microwave. The Wi fi works great. The only negative is the AC is noisy. Since it gets cool at night, I didn't need AC so I turned it off. The room was clean and the staff was awesome. I highly recommend this hotel and will be back next year.

Fantastic play to stay in Waynesville. My sister lived in Waynesville for many years before moving to MD. This summer after attending a local music festival I needed to find a place to stay overnight and made reservations at the Best Western. It was perfect - clean, comfortable, convenient, lots of amenities, and a staff that made check-in and check-out simple. I highly recommend this place !

You want a tremendous view and a quality hotel at a fair price. This is it! Very romantic fire pits and gas grill for grilling with a view! Bring a bottle of wine and your wife will be all smiles! You won't regret it!

I was impressed by the renovations done to this older motel! Lots of outdoor sitting areas with chairs, rockers and swings with nice mountain views as the hotel is on top of a hill. Everything is tastefully painted and there is even a gas fire pit to keep warm on cool nights. The rooms are all renovated with new tubs & surrounds, name brand. Also redone are granite countertops, large flat screen tv, microwave and upscale refrigerator. Breakfast is ok, continental style with waffles. There are other nearby breakfast places if you want upscale. Would definitely stay here again.

Not one of the best motels in the area. Was over priced for the room as compared to other BW motels that I have stayed in. Location not bad for the area. Hard to find without directions. No visible Motel sign on highway.

I read prior reviews and had confindence that I was booking a nice room for my family. Upon arrival, I was a bit disappointed. The room wasn't dirty but it wasn't as nice as made out in prior reviews. Breakfast was a complete disappointment as it contained little to no protein. Overrated and overpriced for what you get! Also, extremely small pool!

This was our first time at a Best Western and we were impressed. There was a gift bag of water and snacks, pool, landscaped grounds with plants and flowers. The bathroom was sparkling clean. Rockers and chairs are positioned for a great view of the mountains. About 30 minutes from Asheville. If you are a runner be aware of dogs around the farms. They will chase you!

This hotel is one of the cleanest and. I eat hotels I've ever stayed in. Perfect in every way. Refrigerator and microwave in room, granite countertop at vanity, spotless shower and carpet, beautiful grounds. Extremely helpful staff. They even give you a goody bag to welcome you!

I love this hotel in every way, have stayed many times and always look forward to staying with them when my travels include Waynesville, BUT do NOT stay at the Hendersonville NC BW! It is unsafe, the maintenance man came into my room without knocking! Plus, the awful smell when I entered the room, almost knocked me down. I am a BW platinum Rewards member, so you can trust me on this one.

The entire hotel was being remodeled but everything was clean and quiet. It is a great location in a quiet setting. Close enough to Waynesville, Lake Junaluska and Maggie Valley. We had no problems while there and would recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable place to stay.

Beautiful landscape, fire pits, clean and very comfortable rooms, very friendly staff. This was a very peaceful stay with them. This hotel is centrally located to Waynesville, which great places to eat and shopping. Maggie Valley and Lake Junaleska.

DISSATISFIED !!!!!!!!! Unfriendly and rude office staff, no hot water and charges added to the bill at the time of check out that were unexplained! We travel a lot and this is one hotel that we won't be putting our employees in!

My son and I were in a father/son trip to western NC and stayed overnight at the BW Smoky Mountain Inn. Full disclosure and not to sound snobby but I normally don't consider BW properties. The Smoky Mountain Inn was fantastic and I would highly recommend if you plan to stay in Waynesville. Check in was a breeze with a super friendly front desk lady and we got a room in second floor with a mountain view. Two queens room was super clean and looked like a recent remodel. Beds were great, AC worked well, nice big screen tv. The grounds of the property were particularly nice with chairs set out, a fire pit going, and nice lighting. It's approximately 10 minutes to downtown Waynesville and there is a Wal Mart a few minutes away. Excellent choice!

This was a nice, clean, comfortable, and reasonably priced hotel. Our only complaint is that we expected a full breakfast--as was the case with other Best Westerns where we have stayed--but received only the very small Continental breakfast of breads and cereals.

Enjoyed our stay and would do it again the next trip, Area is perfect for what we wanted to do. Visit to Waynesville is a very charming town but proceed beyond first part of city to find other restaurants that are open on Sunday and Monday.

We spent three nights at the Best Western Smoky Mountain Inn in Waynesville. This is how good hotels used to be run. All of the staff are friendly, the rooms and grounds are immaculate and the view is wonderful. The hotel sits atop a hill overlooking a portion of Waynesville and the surrounding mountains. The employees work hard, keeping the landscaping lovely, full of flower beds and blooms everywhere. There are two fire pits and several seating areas scattered around the property. There is a short trail behind the hotel where you can get an even better view of the mountains. The room and bathroom were comfy and large enough to move around in. New furnishings and a large dorm-style fridge. The complimentary breakfast was adequate, with the usual cereal and milk, muffins and breads, juice, yogurt, instant oatmeal, coffee, and two waffle/pancake makers. Lots of carbohydrates. More warm protein options would have been nice.(There were hard boiled eggs in the fridge.) We did have some trouble with wifi and the TV in the room but I was able to use the internet in the lobby, and we weren't there to watch tv, so it wasn't that big of a deal for us. Overall, a great place to stay. If you've lost faith in the Best Western brand, this motel will restore it, if only for this location.

We planned a stop over here on our family vacation to the beach. This was an excellent choice in a beautiful setting. Our only regret is that we didn't arrive until late at night. We wished we could enjoy the grounds and hotel a bit more. It is in a beautiful setting, right outside a small town. Typically I don't have high expectations for small towns, but this was opposite that experience! The rooms are very LARGE, clean and well appointed. There was a gift bag with a couple snacks and bottled water! Other little complimentary items made us feel like the staff or management had really thought of everything! (You don't feel nickel and dimed here.) The views are excellent. The grounds are kept very nice, with a lot of thought and detail work. Flowers, sitting areas, etc. The rooms are open to the outside, and very accessible to your vehicle, also a sitting area in front of each room! The breakfast was decent, just enough options, probably could have used more fresh fruit or non carb options, but we were happy. There were boiled eggs, yogurt and oatmeal. The young lady attending the breakfast area was on top of it and really nice to our boys. The only slightly negative thing was that I did notice the front desk staff seemed overwhelmed a couple times. I'm sure they had a lot of responsibility on their plates, and they were able to run around and do a lot. I do hope that this property can continue along this path and continue to provide a high level of customer service. The wifi never worked fully for us, but we weren't there too long for it to be an issue. We left from here to go explore the smoky mountains for hiking and waterfalls, then off to our next stop. This was a very comfortable overnight for our family and a great start to vacation.

Upon checking in we had to wait over 10 minutes and call the hotel to get someone to even come to the front desk. Then she told us to hold on because she had made coffee and was tired and needed some. She didn't even ask us what type of room we wanted. When I tried to give her my rewards card and tell her we were AAA members, she ignored me. Finally we got checked in and in the room (with 2 smaller beds - we just wanted one bed). The noise started up just after 6 am. Slamming doors, conversations (very thin walls), and when the housekeeping staff started their cleaning they were all yelling back and forth to each other from one end of the building to the other. This went on for hours. We only stayed one night and were exhausted leaving. I would not recommend this place to anyone - which is really sad because I have never had a bad experience at a Best Western til now.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was in a beautiful location and was very clean. I would definitely stay here again!breakfast was also great! The only complaint my kids had was that the pool was cold.

Angie who checked us in was really helpful and nice I would recommend this hotel to anyone it was so clean and comfortable. There was also a goodie bag with water, popcorn and a cookie you don't usually get a surprise when you get into your room. Debra checked us out I can't say enough how friendly this place is.

My husband and I stopped here on our way back to Florida. The staff was very nice and the location and outdoor areas were particularly lovely. The room was good size other than the bath area. The housekeeping was a negative for me as there were several items left from the previous occupant including a used bar of soap in the shower and some ice cream in the freezer! This made me wonder what else was left uncleaned. Breakfast was mostly carbs but good and fresh. There was a surprising amount of road noise from the highway which wasn't that close.

I travel a lot but this establishment deserves kudos. The grounds are immaculate and many different flowers amongst sitting areas. There are even propane fires with chairs outside. I was really surprised to see shoe brushes mounted at every breeze way. The king room was perfect and very very clean. The front desk clerk, "Angie" was most accommodating and serves as a credit to this motel. It is little wonder that they carry the title of being number one of hotel choices in this area. There is no lack of good places to dine and I always consult TripAdvisor when I'm away from home.

This motel doesn't have an elevator, but one is able to get to second level without doing stairs. Beautiful views and landscaping and lots of seating to enjoy the out of doors. No traffic closeby. Room was room. Fridge was fairly large, had its own freezer which was great since I could refreeze my cooler pack. Bed was great. Ample pillows. Thermostat worked well. Wifi worked well once I realized the password was all lowercase.

My husband and I stumbled across this fantastic hotel. It was very reasonably priced so we decided to give it a try. The hotel was spotless, the staff couldn't be more helpful and there were numerous outside sitting areas with beautiful views, flowers and landscaping to sit back and relax. I would definitely recommend and plan on staying there again.

The staff was excellent and very helpful with our stay. You should be proud to have a staff like this . They are AWESOME! My husband was recently diagnosed with heart failure. This was our first weekend away since his diagnosis. I mentioned it when I checked in because I was afraid. They regularly checked on on us. We really appreciated their help and concern.

Located just off highway (but without big sign), this was a great place to stay! Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Room was quiet, very clean and spacious, with welcome treats of cookies, bottled water and popcorn to microwave in the room. Hotel very well tended, with lovely flowers all around and outside seating areas to enjoy the mountain views. Breakfast was included and was good.

My family (2 adults, 3 kids - 9, 6, 2) spent the night here on our way to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. We usually stay in the Asheville area, however ridiculously high prices plus the fact there was a festival going on in downtown Waynesville, persuaded us to give the Best Western Smoky Mountain Inn a try - and it was fantastic! The property grounds are very pretty...nice views, sitting areas, bird feeders, etc. Felt much more like a resort than a chain hotel. There is a gas fire pit where you can sit, a swinging seat, as well as a nice pool. The rooms, while outdoor entrance, were very clean. Water bottles and cookies were in the room upon our arrival. Rocking chairs were outside our door. Very comfortable beds...very happy with what we had in the room. Staff members were extremely friendly and helpful!! From the check-in to the breakfast staff, we were received with courtesy and professionalism. Waynesville is also a nice alternative to Asheville. Several great breweries, shops and restaurants. We ate at Haywood Smokehouse (another review) and it was only a couple miles from the hotel (and another 5 star!). Great little mountain town! All in all, I would stay here in a heartbeat again when my travels bring me to WNC. I was extremely happy with the Best Western Smoky Mountain Inn.

Nice, clean hotel. Beautiful view of mountains. Comfortable beds and fairly quiet although some remodeling taking place and dumpster in front of hotel is an eyesore. Breakfast was very carb heavy. No hot items since they don't have a kitchen. Friendly staff and great location for downtown Waynesville and Blue Ridge Parkway. Wife said she would stay there again and I agree.

My husband and I wanted to do a quick weekend getaway and this hotel meet all of our expectations. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was exactly as advertised, a nice continental style breakfast. The view is great. It is easy to travel to all the surrounding mountain towns. Waynesville has a lot of nice shopping on its main street. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel.

This is a hidden gem of a hotel. Perfect for budget-conscious travelers who still want a clean, comfortable, and enjoyable place to stay. Room was very clean - spotless bathroom. Hotel staff was super-friendly from the manager all the way through the housekeeping staff. They left a gift bag with bottled water, cookies, and microwave popcorn in our room each day. Simple thing, but was such a nice touch and made us feel very welcome. The property is beautiful with nice seating areas outdoors to go with the amazing view. Continental breakfast is basic but works well. Weather has not warmed up enough to make the pool comfortable yet and it is not heated -brrrrrrr - but that was a very minor thing. Hotel is very convenient to downtown Waynesville and made a great home base for us to explore this beautiful area. Most impressive thing for us is that the staff clearly takes pride in making sure their hotel is comfortable and their guests have a great experience. Would definitely recommend and stay there again!

Older but updated hotel nestled in rolling hills but right off the highway. The landscaping was beautiful. Many "smoking areas" with comfortable wicker furniture and even a fire pit. We don't smoke but enjoyed sitting and looking down at the traffic and enjoyed the sunset. Too cool to swim but the outdoor pool looked inviting. The room was big, large flat screen tv, wi if was great. We stayed 4 nights and was left a bag of cookies, microwave popcorn, and bottled water daily. We had a room in the back with a large group of motorcyclists around our room. They came in around 10 pm one night but the room was so well insulated that we barely heard them. I asked at the front desk for a softer pillow and extra bath towels and they accommodated me right away. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was good. No eggs but one had plenty of other choices including a waffle machine. Our price went up on the weekend but we were in town for an event on a holiday weekend so we understood. Make reservations in advance to get the best price.

Easy access from my exit off the Blue Ridge Mountain Parkway. The grounds where more homey than hotel. Friendly service. Great rate. Great View of the Smokey Mountains. My room was clean. I had a fridge, microwave, coffee pot and coffee. I had good soaps and a nice surprise was complimentary bottled waters, cookies and a popcorn pack in a brown paper gift bag, nice touch. All that and a beautiful hard cover book filled with photos of the area and things to do there. I felt safe tucked in my clean sheets watching full cable and free wi-fi. A hot shower and continental breakfast after a solid nights sleep. I would stay there again. I don't usually write reviews but this place was worth the effort.

Loved the location and the property was beautiful as well as beautifully clean. The amenities rival those of 4 star hotels and I will definitely be returning to this motel. Not only do they have location, location, location, they take pride in their property and it shows!

This was a basic hotel that was set back in a quiet area away from highway noise. The room was comfortable and had everything that I would need. I would stay here again if I am traveling through the area.

One night trip to see the synchronous fireflies and this hotel was in a perfect location and of excellent value. At check in we were warmly welcomed and given directions to the local area. Room was exceptionally clean and the wifi worked great. The bed was a little soft for my husband but I was comfortable, breakfast was just average for a continental breakfast but everything was very clean. I would stay here again when I am in this area.

This was a great place to stay, rooms are very comfortable. The hotel is clean. Will be coming back again. The staff are the best, very friendly and accommodating, breakfast was very good and I like the workout room.

Traveling from Raleigh North Carolina to Nashville Tennessee, Wife and I were meeting a friend for dinner at a seafood place in Waynesville N.C. Reservations were made for the Best Western Smoky Mountain Inn. On arriving we were greeted with a friendly "Hello, and welcome". The Inn is on it's final steps of a three year renovation, "from top to bottom". The rooms, clean, bright and well appointed, though our bathroom was a bit small. Our normal stays, when we travel to Tennessee or Florida, We use the Hilton Hotels or Best Western Plus. This place may not be a "Plus" but it comes awfully close. We will stay again in our trips to Tennessee to see the grandchildren.

I've stayed here several times over the past few years and each time we visit, they have made some type of improvement or upgrade. They remodeled the breakfast room since I was last there and added outdoor fire pits. The staff are always friendly and helpful!

There are not a lot of hotel options in Waynesville so I hesitantly booked this room not expecting much. What a surprise! Not only were the rooms spacious, clean and comfortable. They also provided many little extras like snacks and bottled water. The Hotel staff was very friendly and informative. The outdoor seating area and fire pit was a nice place to unwind for the evening. I would definitely recommend staying here. This is a fantastic value

Most friendly and helpful staff experienced anywhere! Spent 5 nights in perfect comfort. Room was particularly well kept. Space in the eating area could be improved. Beautiful gardens and landscape surround this facility and it comes with a view of the mountains.

This place is spic and span, well landscaped, pleasing staff, great views. Great pricing and a better deal than many of the more expensive places I have stayed. When you open your room there are a couple of bottles of water , some cookies and popcorn, no biggie but it is the little things, isn't it? Hope to stay here many more times, my new go to place in the area

My wife and I decided to check out several micro brewery's and to experience downtown Waynesville,NC over this past weekend. Having never stayed in this area before we took a chance on staying at the Smoky Mountain Best Western and we were absolutely glad we did! This is an older property but it has been taken care in every aspect. This is still the old park in front of your room type of motel but there was plenty of clean spaces available even though it was full that night. The rooms were immaculate and fresh. Furniture was also very appealing. We had a single queen bed that was very comfortable. Huge flat screen TV for your pleasure. The grounds are very well tended,with some nice outdoor sitting areas with nice views. Bath rooms are typically small but very clean and tidy and the shower had good pressure. One nice touch was the little gift bag that we found in the room with bottled water and cookies and microwave popcorn! In room microwave and refrigerator were very welcome! Definitely would come back for another visit!

The Best Western Smoky Mountain Inn is an amazing hotel, I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay in the Waynesville, North Carolina area. The staff was amazing and the hotel was very nice and comfortable. I will be staying at this hotel if I am ever in the area again.

We were tired and wet and needed a place to stay and spotted the Best Western Sign. Little did we know how nice the staff was in helping us find the place, check in quickly and reccomending a great restaurant close to eat and warm up in the unusually cold early spring evening. Our room was as clean as could be and had a disposable sleeve over the remote for cleanliness. Wow, I usually have put them in a baggie!! They thought of everything. The bed was soft and comfortable and the TV a huge flat screen. They had a 100% NC sanitation rating on the wall of the breakfast room. Impressive. They also have an outdoor pool with lovely flowers planted all around the property. When we checked out was told we were lucky to get the room last night as they were booked solid, and I can see why. You can see the pride taken in their work at The BW Smokey Mountain Inn! I will be sure to reserve a night if going back!

The only thing that would make this hotel better is if it were dog friendly. It has an easy to reach location off of 23, easy to take the surface roads into town for dinner. Perched high up on a small hill, they have placed rocking chairs and benches outside of the rooms and around the property so you can enjoy the views. Non smoking rooms are great. Bed was very comfortable. The entire property is well-maintained and very clean. Lovely perennial flower beds just starting to bloom in late April. Staff was very friendly and polite.

Exceeded my expectations numerous times. Very comfortable. Very clean. They have put a lot of thought and effort into making this a good experience. On one level its a basic old school motel at a reasonable price but they have made the most of that. A care package in the room. Rope lighting as you drive up. Great shower head. Good coffee choices at breakfast. Free wifi. Nice pool. And the view is amazing. And right off the highway but hidden away where you dont know it.

Stayed at the Smoky Mountain Inn this past week. Rooms are being renovated and updated. The new shower heads are fabulous. Great view of the mountains. Staff is friendly, rooms are clean. Very quiet location. This is a great place to stay in Waynesville.

We stayed in the BW 3 nights last week. It was a wonderful experience, The views, rooms, staff and grounds are all 1st class (they have a full time groundskeeper). We used to spend a few days each year in the Ashville area in the future it will be Waynesville, beautiful area, friendly people. great restaurants. If I could give this motel 6 stars I would..

Wonderful staff, nice facility, surrounded by mountains, clean. They even have a bag with two bottles of water and snacks in your room each day for your convenience! They have an outdoor fire pit with comfortable seating around it, a great way to end the day!

The motel was good. Had to pay 10 more just to be upstairs. They said I had Queen beds but they were doubles. None the less it was a great place and experience. The house keeper did great room was clean and dusted which I don't see rooms being dusted in other places I stay. I felt comfortable and they asked if I needed anything. The room even had a snack bag

I highly recommend this motel, it is clean, safe real quiet and in a private setting, the staff are all super nice. My sister lives down the road from here, and we have stayed here many many times, but they have updated it now and its better than ever.

We stayed for 4 nights. Comp water, better quality soap, fresh donuts, helpful friendly staff, great hd tv, we enjoyed all of our stay. Oh and great views of the mountain too. All for a reasonable price. We will be back.

This hotel has been newly remodeled. It was very clean and offered great mountain views. The staff was the most friendly that I have ever encountered. It is just off the expressway which makes it very easy to get around town. You can not hear the road noise from the motel. We will stay here again.

Staff was wonderful. They were very helpful with directions to attractions. The breakfast had a big variety. The room was very clean. The view was very nice of the mountains. There were several restaurants within 1 mile.

This hotel was just perfect and affordable. Rooms were spacious and very clean. I'm very particular about clean bathrooms and it was. Breakfast was good and very clean. Staff friendly and accommodating. I would definitely stay there again.

It's all in the little details. This may be a "chain" hotel but they make it cozier and friendly small town type. Great location right off expressway. Everything nearby in west Waynesville. Good view of mountains on porch with rocking chairs. Sitting areas on property. Basketball goal and good pool on property. Property is updated, super clean, large rooms, comfy beds, large flat tvs, plenty of hot water. Daily snacks and water left in rooms. Friendly helpful staff. Good breakfast included. We will be back and recommend.

Modern, clean rooms, friendly staff, good continental breakfast. Very convenient location. We will definitely stay here again! Only minor thing is the breakfast area is a little small when it's a busy breakfast rush.

In town for almost two weeks for work. I was able to stay in the same room the whole time. Great location to the smokey mountains. A great area to take in the fall colors. Easy driving distance to town. Nothing really with in walking distance. Nice folks though. Happy with our stay.

No need to look any further, this is THE place to stay in Waynesville. Recently renovated inside and out. Clean, comfortable, friendly 100% rating. Located off Rt. 23/74 at exit 98. Breakfast room with plenty of choices for everyone. Plenty of outdoor seating areas. A plus is this place is pet and smoke free so the rooms smell fresh and not overpowering with air fresheners. Did I mention CLEAN!!!!! Guaranteed if you stay here, you'll return. Happy travels.

Great hotel. They are super nice and so kind to us after a terrible experience the night before at another hotel. Very clean, great amenities, beautiful views...highly recommend! They also have free breakfast!

Wonderful to receive check in phone c all feom front desk aftwr we were in our room for a little while. Very clean. Great shower head. Comfortable bed. Clean air filters. Wonderful to be able to adjust air so easily. One recommendation is to raise the height of the sink counter. Way to low. More luke set at accessible height and we are not in an accessible room. Friendly staff. Would add some k8nd of glutenfree protein to breakfast such as sausage, scrambled eggs, cheese cubes or slices. Include oranges in the fruit.

The room was old style but clean.Very noisy air conditioner. The front desk staff were inattentive and not welcoming. Our internet booking said check in at 3pm and we arrived at 2.50 and were told the check in wasn't until 4pm but were begrudgingly allowed to check in. Their own info. in the room said check in was 2pm! Good location for bottom of Blue Ridge Parkway and Smokey Mountain National Park

What a wonderful place to stay. Debra went above and beyond to make our stay great. This was our second stay here and we will definitely be back. It is more than just a hotel. The view of the mountains is spectacular. The locations to downtown is perfect. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a great getaway.

the location is nice with a view . Check in was quick and easy the staff in all cases were very friendly . The room was very clean as was the bath, All rooms are nonsmoking but placed around the hotel were benches ,tables chairs and even two fire pits. the only downside was the breakfast there were no eggs or meats, there were waffels. check out was easy. I would stay there again if in the area

This was a great motel. The view was great. Friendly staff, nice breakfast, welcome bag in the room, nice, thick towels, comfortable chair, great shower head in the tub, very clean. The grounds were pleasant with swings and picnic tables. The sheets fit the mattress. Would certainly stay here again.

Loved this place. Very clean. I'm picky and could not find anything wrong with the room. Staff could not have been more helpful . They provide water and snacks each day ,Would not even consider staying anywhere else
