Very up to date and modern. Comfortable bed, nice shower and good breakfast. Would definitely return. Our son had told us about Glo Best Western so thought we'd give it a try. Definitely a winner and pleasantly surprised. There was a nice looking pool area and exercise room.
The hotel was clean, and the staff friendly. Decor was fun and several breakfast options. Bed was really comfy. The only drawbacks (could be age related 😉) for us was the door to the bathroom. It is really heavy and on a slider. When it's open it blocks the closet. The sink is really cool but hard on the back bending over it if you have issues.
We have stayed at this hotel in the past. Each visit proves to show neglect of the hotel. It was dirty. Even the elevator buttons were dirty our room needed to be swept the hallways and main lobby are was unkept The doors to the rooms, elevators, and glass doors needed attention. The coffee was not drinkable. The breakfast was good and the counters were relatively clean. We did enjoy the pool. This is the only hotel on the east side of Sioux Falls, which is very convenient for us. We usually drive into Sioux Falls to stay because the last couple of stays here were not nice. The staff is very kind and pleasant. Although we noticed one guest received water and snacks. We were given those at check in.
We spent a couple nights in Sioux Falls on our way home from vacation. We had never stayed at a GLo before so I wanted to give it a try. The price was reasonable, location great with lots around, room was well maintained and clean, and it is pet friendly. We would definitely stay again.
This had to be the largest hotel bathroom I've ever seen. It was very nice. The bed was extremely comfortable. I didn't like that you couldn't really watch the TV from the computer desk and the wall mount didn't swivel. I wish the had been a microwave in the room to allow my to reheat food rather than having to go all the way to the breakfast area to use the only one there.
Very nice hotel. It's clean & modern. The staff are efficient & friendly. Parking is right out front. Breakfast was good. The beds were comfortable. It was easy to control the temperature of the room. We will definitely stay here again when in Sioux Falls!
I have stayed here several times as it is close to family. The hotel has a nice little fitness center and pool. The pool temperature is good, not too cold. The area is quiet compared to other parts of Sioux Falls. There are stores within walking distance, which is great if you need something.
I had a procedure that required me to stay in Sioux Falls for the night due to possible complications. The hotel was clean and the staff were very friendly. My kids enjoyed the pool and we all enjoyed the breakfast. The cleanliness of the room and all parts of the hotel were top notch.
Beds are comfortable. Rooms are modern with plenty of options for charging devices. Lobby is welcoming. Staff were helpful. Very convenient to other locations in Sioux Falls.
We had a great experience here. We stayed for just one night while on the road. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were helpful and very friendly. One of our better hotel experiences we've had in the last couple of years (we spend about 40 nights per year in hotels). I don't understand why anyone would feel unsafe in the area - it's mostly a large suburban-type shopping area. There were a few drawbacks - the coffee in the lobby wasn't refreshed, so it was lukewarm in the afternoon. The laundry didn't work, which was a bummer because we were counting on it. Finally, the breakfast was fairly limited, but most free hotel breakfasts are not that exciting. We would definitely stay here again.
We were unable to get the the hotel due to the epic flooding in South Dakota. The hotel refused to even discuss any alternatives with us. We would have been to get a credit but the manager was unsympathetic of the situation and rude. We will definitely stay away from Best Westerns in future travels.
I was on a business trip and the only hotel option left was this Best Western. I booked it. I was pleasantly surprised with the hotel. It is very nice and clean. Basically, brand new, and in a great location. Shopping all around, and plenty of places to eat. The room was fantastic, modern, clean, and quiet. My only complain about the room was the TV channels. 100+ channels, but not guide. When you clicked the channel button it would take a few seconds to change, then it would change. In a world of everyone being spoiled, this took me back a couple decades. Other than that, I would make this my next place to stay if the price is right. I way overpaid due to whatever reason of high prices.
This was a fabulous hotel. Friendly staff, clean rooms, nice big modern bathroom with walk in shower, and yummy breakfast with items I've never seen at other hotels. I would definitely stay at another Glo hotel! This was one of four hotels on my vacation, and it was the best one.
Perfect! The hotel was extremely clean, beds were very comfortable, the rain shower in the walk in shower was refreshing! Was happy that the pool hours were 6 am to 12 am. Breakfast that was included was good. All employees that we spoke to, including housekeeping were so friendly. Wish all our hotel stays during our vacation were like this one!
Clean and comfortable room, free hot breakfast with a large assortment of grab and go breakfast items. Easy to find and only 15 minutes from Falls Park. Bed and pillows very comfortable. Convenient to I90. Not near location for taking a walk with a dog but still a good dog friendly hotel.
This hotel looks like a western log-built place. Very eye-catching. Inside the building was just as appealing. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well stocked. The breakfast was delicious with many choices, and the evening social hour served tacos on the day we were there. All was great.
We have been staying at this hotel for the past 4 years and it has continued to go down hill. Location is excellent for us but we will not be going back.
This is a wonderful hotel with great amenities. The staff was friendly and helpful. It's a beautiful well appointed hotel.
Nice clean rooms & friendly helpful staff. Bed & pillows were very comfortable & breakfast had a lot of excellent options. I will definitely be staying again when work brings me to Sioux Falls ! Also if you need a good recommendation for things to do or places to eat the staff has great suggestions!
Average experience. Carpets in lobby and hallway were dirty/needing attention. Elevator floor was grossly dirty. First room smelled hideously of pet odor. Second room was better. Outdated ugly decor. Room was clean.
We were welcomed as soon as we walked in. Check in took less than two minutes. Staff offered suggestions for food and nearby things to do. The room was so comfortable, and we cannot rave enough about the beds and pillows. These were some of the best we experienced.
I chose this hotel for my debate team because of the wonderful rates for schools and the breakfast schedule on Saturday mornings--we need breakfast by 6:30. It was clean, bright, and very welcoming! We will be staying there again.
Booked this room to travel for a funeral. By the time we arrived, parking lot was nearly full because many spots hadn't been plowed. Hotel is newer, so seemed clean, but the rooms are tiny and awkward. We booked a king suite, but it's the smallest room I've ever stayed in. Bathroom and closet used the same barn door, which made things difficult when we were trying to get ready. Bathroom is spacious but counter and mirror are small, so only one person can use at a time. There was a gap in the room door so I could see light from the hallway when the door was closed and secured. Furnishings were eclectic which I usually appreciate, but the design really wasn't cohesive- it looked like someone just bought a bunch of stuff on an overstock website and stuck it together. Overall, it felt cheaply built for the price we paid, but in the plus side I will say the bed was better than most hotel beds.
The room were absolutely not clean. When I complained, no one took responsibility. I came to visit my mom who was dying in the hospice so I couldn't let them know right away since I spent most of my time with my mom. The staff acted like they didn't care and they were vey rude to me when I brought the issue to their attention. When I asked for manager, they told me she is not there. My last night there I find out my phone charger was missing . I asked the front desk guy what happened to my charger? He said I don't know. The fact that they took my personal property from my room is definitely not acceptable. When I checked out the next day I talked to a lady who she said she was the manager. She said we never had anything missing from anyone room. So I told her you do now!! I'm telling you my phone charger is missing but I got no where with that. I didn't want to miss my flight so I had to leave before anyone cared to do anything for my problems.
The hotel was easily accessible to the family we visited. Very clean and well appointed. The breakfast was excellent with a large variety of breakfast items to choose from. Would stay here again. The value in January was good.
A very new and modern hotel with a boutique European vibe. Very clean and nicely decorated room in keeping with theme of overall facility. The king room was compact but very efficient in the use of space. Attentive, customer focussed staff, from the manager down. Breakfast area was spacious, clean and the food met my expectations. Coffee was hot and on par with my coffee preferences. As a senior, that means the “Golden Arches”. This facility is a real gem, and ranks at the top of BW's that I've stayed in. I would definitely recommend it and stay there again.
The room was pretty gross and needed a deeper clean but one call to the front desk had the cleaning crew up right away. The bigger issue is safety. Luckily it wasn't ours, but someone's car was broken into which seems to be a problem with this specific location per previous reviews. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby.
We booked a block for our wedding. Everyone raved about how nice the hotel was. We loved how spacious and clean our suite was, the layout was very modern and functional, the beds and pillows were so comfortable. The staff was so kind and friendly. We will definitely recommend and be back!
Very nice hotel. Clean and nice rooms. Staff was friendly. In a nice location. Had a nice variety for breakfast. The Tvs don't have any streaming services so you are stuck with regular TV or HBO. Will stay here again
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. The beds were great actually with lots of pillows. It was located conveniently around other businesses and restaurants and the area seems to be growing with more options coming. Breakfast was as advertised and was good/fine. Our only issue was our room was not straightened up (beds made, towels exchanged). We asked them to do it after the first night, and they said you have to request it. They didn't do it the 2nd or 3rd night, and each day we brought our towels to the front desk for replacements, which wasn't horrible because our room was on the first floor right near the lobby. No noise problems while we were there. Other than the small room issue, it was a nice place to stay.
This hotel was a great place to stay. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable- probably the most comfortable bed I've ever had at a Best Western. The breakfast was a little disappointing but you can't complain too much about free food. Overall a great place to stay if you're in or passing through Sioux Falls.
Where do I start? I gave the Hotel one star. If I could of given it zero stars, I would have. Luggage dollies did not have a bar to hang clothing so I had to make several trips from my truck to the room. Best Western describes this hotel as "boutique" but it is more like "small, uncomfortable rooms with no frills". The room was THE smallest room I have ever stayed in, with absolutely no room for luggage. My room had a small closet and a small bathroom. My family's room (a King) had 2 small closets that were, at most, 8" deep and no bar to hang clothes. The bathroom is very small with a sliding door that does not lock and does not shut properly which leaves you no privacy. Make sure you have a bath mat and several towels on the bathroom floor because the showers have rivers coming out of them. You will need to do your own housekeeping, take out the trash and replenish your towels, etc., because Glo does not service your room The breakfast area was HOT. No A/C on. The East facing room and lobby had full floor to ceiling windows and was extremely uncomfortable in the morning. The breakfast was included but it was only available if you were able to get to it within the 1st hour. If not, it was gone. What had been there was slim-pickings. They even ran our of milk for cereal once the hot food was gone. My family's hotel bill was incorrect and were charged a much higher rate that was on the confirmation. The front desk could not help me and would not leave a note for the manager to fix it or call me. I was instructed to call back later and ask for the manager and she could "maybe" help me. And last, but not least,, parking was tight, especially if they were full. The ONLY reason this hotel is as busy as it is, is because it is the ONLY hotel on the East side of Sioux Falls. Other hotel chains need to get on the stick and get some built so travelers who need to stay on that side of town have another, much better choice.
*Beware* The 1 star is due to lack of cameras and security. Wife and I booked a night here while driving across country due to this hotel allowing pets and having good reviews. We both parked close to the lobby and within eyeshot of the front desk. Despite the parking lot being well lit, a lobby surrounded by glass windows for greater visibility and cops in the area by the shops; thieves still managed to steal a bike off our car that had a locking bike rack as well as an additional lock wrapped around the carrier. The thieves left their torque wrench and sockets sitting on our roof, apparently prepared to remove entire hitches off vehicles in the lot if they weren't able to cut the locks. We had removed the front tire so it's not like they rode away on it, overnight staff is oblivious to vehicles entering the lot overnight and stealing from guests. Having spent over a decade as a hotel manager, I suspect their overnight front desk staff cases the lot for valuables and then calls a friend to steal it while they turn a blind eye.
I travel to the SF area several times a month. I have tried out many other hotels in the past but since discovering GLo Best Western Dawly Farms, I only stay here. Checking in and out is so easy, the staff is very friendly and accommodating. My room is always clean and ready to go for me. I do travel for work and the internet is quick and reliable. The location is near some shopping and a nice variety of restaurants.
One night stay. It was a Saturday night, but the cost was over $250 for a 2 queen room. We had heard that this was a fairly new hotel, but by the looks of the room/bathroom it definitely needed some TLC. The barn door for the bathroom door had big gaps so you didn't feel like you had a lot of privacy. The toilet paper holder looked like it had been broke off the wall and then reattached with a bunch of white caulk or glue or something that looked bad. The ceiling in the bathroom had half done repairs and looked discolored and tacky. The room wasn't as clean as you would think it would be for almost $300 a night. There was someone else's long hair strands on the nightstand between the beds and the office chair had many stains on the seat. The continental breakfast had quite a bit of options, and the location of the hotel is nice. Probably won't stay here again unless the price was significantly less.
First time staying at a "GLo" Best Western. This was very modern and clean. Breakfast and pool were nothing over the top, but just what we needed. Wishing there was a hot tub to sit in while my kids swam in the pool. Rooms were clean and nicely decorated. Location is near a Target, Kohl's, Bath & Body Works, Walmart, and many restaurants. Price was fantastic as well!
The staff was very friendly and even though the room was small it was very nice and clean. It was THE BEST hotel bed we have ever slept in. I would love to know where/how to purchase one of those mattresses! Hotel staff was away from the desk so upper level management jumped in to help. Staff member was very kind and helpful. We will definitely be staying here again!
The hotal was Clean, refreshing, and modern. The breakfast was high quality. Beds were comfortable. The room was quiet. I got a good night sleep. The showers have a luxurious feel, but no bath tub. The room has USB chargers built-in.
Best value and place to stay on the East side of Sioux Falls. Modern rooms and design. Our children enjoyed the pool. My spouse really enjoys their continental breakfast. The front desk staff are always very polite.
Really enjoyed the stay - room was clean, lobby was clean, the staff was very nice. We enjoyed the pool and the breakfast as well. We were greeted warmly and quickly by the front desk staff. We were both impressed with the comfort of the bed and the cleanliness.
We had neighbors who were partying late, but even when they were talking in normal voices inside their closed room across the hall we could make out most words they were saying. The sound proofing at this hotel is nearly non-existent. Between the elevator dings, people walking back and forth down the hall, people laughing outside in the parking lot clear as day through the closed window, the bathroom slider doors banging, we got zero sleep - which is a shame because the bed and pillows were impressively comfortable! One large family hogged the small pool area (no hot tub) so we couldn't swim either. Hot breakfast was good but our stay was already ruined with no sleep so we left quickly and won't be returning.
The staff was sweet and very accommodating. The room was very clean and the bed and pillows were so comfortable. The breakfast had eggs, sausage or bacon, a good verity of other hot choices and they had cereal and other cold choices. I will definitely stay here again.
We stayed at this hotel this past weekend. Check in was smooth, friendly and informative. The rooms are super clean and bathrooms are huge. We were in an accessible room although we didn't request it. Make sure you book a top floor room so you won't hear people above you as the floors are laminate. The walls are thin as we were able to hear the TV next door. There was no hot water when I showered in the morning. There were no hooks for coats and they had a weird closet arrangement. The room had lots of charging ports to charge your devices and wifi was good. There was even a remote to control the blinds. The breakfast room was very crowded with not enough seating. Food was okay. Sausages and eggs were very salty. Limited gluten-free options, only eggs and yoghurt. Should have fruit toppings for waffles. Don't think we'll stay again.
So I stayed here with my wife and kids in October. At first everything seemed terrific, however, what appeared to be a manager, Derek (I believe), was blatantly snorting some substance from a distance
Room was not ready upon check in, after “cleaning” was complete around 7pm, room was disgusting. Human hairs in sink, on toilet and all over the floor. Shower door was falling off the wall, definite hazard.
Nice, clean, spacious rooms with staff that provide excellent customer service. Bathrooms are especially nice with big showers and nice rain showerhead. Refrigerator in room is convenient. Also, very nice breakfast with loads of options. Hot food including waffles, eggs, sausage, etc. Staff was very accommodating. I would definitely book this hotel again.
This is a new hotel, very clean and excellent location. Gas station, coffee shops, and restaurants. Target right next door. Easy access from the interstate. Small pool but serves its purpose. Breakfast is what you would expect for free, nothing exceptional about it but so convenient to pop downstairs and have hot coffee and hot breakfast. We only stayed for 1 night passing through town.
The staff was very friendly and accomodating and the hotel very clean. There was a big variety for food for breakfast including hot and cold items. One big hit was the locally made yogurt. The location was wonderful with Target and Walmart plus a small mall very close by.
This is a nice, modern hotel. Very efficient use of room space with ample outlet and desk space. There is a walk in pool and NO hot tub. I was really surprised this relatively new hotel chose not to install a hot tub. Friendly staff, comfortable stay.
Comfy with loads of pillows clean modern setting quiet with rooms set up to be able to relax. Recommend staying here, close to eatery and shopping easy access, offers breakfast as well. Friendly helpful staff
This is a new global brand added to Best Western New property, very clean, contemporary interiors, friendly staff and good breakfast. I recommend that a frequent traveler should stay at this hotel before it gets older.
Nice facility opened in 2020. Clean. Fair service. Friendly staff but need more. Great breakfast selection (unless you need gluten free). Laundry only had 1 washer & dryer ($2 washer, $1.50 dryer). Indoor Pool had handicap lift which was convenient.
We were traveling from Wisconsin to South Dakota and decided to stay here because it was a new hotel. Unfortunately, there were several problems. When we walked into the room, it smelled like mildew even though the room appeared to be clean. The lighting was horrible. I get that they wanted everything to look modern, but it also needs to be functional. I couldn't even read a book by the light next to the bed. The layout of the room was OK, but not great The worst part of the room was the barn door for the bathroom. It did not close all the way so there was about a 2 inch gap on one side or the other depending on how it was closed. This left little privacy for anyone using the bathroom. For this reason alone, it's not likely I would come back to this hotel.
Air conditioner was really loud all night and told staff in morning we didn't get much sleep. They said thanks for letting us know because we are booked full tonight so we can get that fixed and just said goodbye. Didn't really care that we didn't sleep well. Was ready to just send us on our merry way. Disappointed.
This hotel is brand new and very nice. Clean and neat with some exciting details both in rooms and out of the rooms. they have great amenities and great people working this hotel. this is located in an area of Sioux Falls suburbs that is growing and building. easy 10 minute drive to downtown. lots of places to eat within a mile or two.
The GLo Best Western Dawley Farms in Sioux Falls is modern and clean. The staff is friendly. The pool was not as warm as we would prefer. The hotel advertises a heated pool, but it was not warm enough.
Very nice newer Hotel with a few issues. Showers leak water on to the tile floors. Barn style door for bathroom and closet area give you no privacy. They open and close very hard, slamming onto the opposite side. Old style RCA TV's in room, with pictures not fitting screen size. Room size a bit small. Breakfast is limited and if hotel full good luck getting anything. Staff is nice and very helpful trying to help with the issues we dealt with
Shower was improperly installed causing water to run on the floor and soak the wall. The hotel is recently built but the quality of construction and workmanship on the shower stall and tile work is very poor causing the leaky shower. And water stained walls.
No hot water at all! Internet didn't work and the floor was full of dirt and whatever the people before me left in the room. Gross! The no hot water was the worst! Staff didn't seem to care and didn't offer a solution, just stated they were full.
The location is perfect for us. Easy access. Very well kept. They do seem to have a lot of employee turnover. There has been a different manager on staff every time we have stayed. But overall service has always been excellent.
Upon checkin is when were told of no daily room cleaning and if we needed any towels or washrags we were to ask for them. The hot water never got hot, a little passed luke warm is the bes we got and the water pressure could not get the soap out of my hair.
We stayed at the Best Western Glo for three nights while in Sioux Falls doing some work on our son's house. We have stayed there in the past and will continue to do so in the future due to convenience, price and total quality of the stay. I will have to mention Tyeesha at the front desk who welcomed us when we checked in and was there every day with a smile on her face. We have traveled the world including China, South Africa, Greenland just to name a few and what always makes a stay is first impressions. Tyeesha made a great one and got our stay off to a great start. Management was very wise to put their best people in these positions. We will return to the Glo the next time we are in Sioux Falls.
For having hardwood floors I expected a cleaner room. Crumbs along all the baseboards, food stains on the desk chair, something splattered on bed base. Breakfast was OK but nothing impressive. Staff were very friendly and pool was nice.
I really enjoyed this hotel. I saw a wonderful amount of art in the hotel and I want to come back again. I really would love to see more hotels like this. I really enjoyed the style and I really loved how everything was designed I would love to come back again this was a enjoy Able trip and I really want to come to a hotel such as this again soon. I just wanted to come and see everything and it was really enjoyable. Thank you
Super cool property and decor. These are the only reasons I'm giving it 4 instead of 5 stars, but they are kind of annoying and possibly big issues depending on your situation. If you're by yourself or just a couple, probably not an issue - however if you are rooming with anyone or kids, these things might make a difference. First of all, the barn doors on the bathrooms are just barely the size of the opening so you can see in both sides if you're standing to the side of the door. AND there is NO LOCK ON THE BATHROOM, so there is a bit of a privacy issue - especially if you're with small kids who like to play around—or anyone who's a prankster lol. Also, say there are more than a couple of people and/or people who aren't comfortable using the bathroom together, there is no mirror in the main room - strange, but very inconvenient if you all need to get ready to leave in a short period of time. Also, one of the two treadmills in the fitness center (which is nice, btw, small but several options, with weights, etc) worked but the screen didn't so you had no idea what incline/speed/time - anything - you are working with. Again, if those things aren't an issue for you, then you will love this hotel.
I stayed at the Glo Hotel two nights. The first night there was a ton of noise from the room above us. As we were leaving in the morning I asked if we could have our room moved and was told that the loud patrons above us would not be there. We return to the hotel Saturday night and the loud people were still there. There must've been a dozen people in that room dancing, moving furniture, yelling and making a ton of noise. We called down to the front desk three times. There was no action taken that reduced the noise in any way. I finally went down to the lobby at 4 AM. I could find no staff member but the entire lobby area was filled with unsupervised teenage kids. I got uncomfortable after waiting for five minutes and went back to my room. Finally about 4:30 I called the police nonemergency number. The volume reduced a bit after five but it was still loud all night. I needed to get up at eight, and checked out. Tammy at the desk was unapologetic and unable to explain why the night staff did not intervene. She said that the manager was not in on Sunday and that she couldn't do anything even though she just got off the phone with the manager. It was very poor communication and customer service all around. On top of that, I almost fell asleep driving on the way home... Thanks Glo!
Due to winter storm we cancelled the room at this location on-line only to receive a notice room was charged as no show We called the hotel and was connected to the GM who took our details and several hours later called to confirm billing would be corrected gave us a tip call the hotel directly to cancel Thank you for the quick response and interest in ensuring the issues was addressed
The hotel has a modern look but the same great value that you would expect from Best Western. Lots of nice common areas and breakfast spot. Meeting rooms fitness center and indoor pool were nice. The rooms had a modern feel and were very functional. The staff was professional and gracious.
Recommend for business travel rooms have a different layout with the king room having a bed with the big screen tv at foot of bed. Dresser is built into the side of desk. “Bar service” was just a few products at front desk so that was disappointing.
Booked an “open block” of rooms for our wedding, as they didn't feel comfortable giving us a closed block of rooms due to us not knowing exactly how many people would book. Our bridal suite would be comped if 15 people booked reservations. We had 13 rooms reserved, plus our bridal suite, and they refused to give us any form of discount. We could have taken our guests to any hotel in the area and they still refused to work with us. The room had broken doorknobs, a large opening under the door that let light in the entire night and paper thin walls so we could hear every neighbor above and beside us. Our room was a sauna all night, even after turning the AC on (in late October). Beds were comfortable, but the pillows were huge and awful to sleep on. Room was clean, but empty of anything special. A mini fridge and walk-in shower is all. No bigger than a dorm room with a king-sized bed smashed into it. Terrible value and definitely not worth the price they put on their rooms. No breakfast offered at all either.
The hotel exterior was clean and bright. The check-in process was speedy. The front desk clerk was friendly and kind. The room was nice with a very large bathroom and walk-in shower. But the bathroom fan was filthy and the water pressure was dismal!
I really enjoyed my stay. It is a new facility. Very clean, vibrant colors, no carpet in the rooms which was a wonderful upgrade to the carpeted hotel's. Updated showers with wonderful space and lighting. No more awkward tub that people rarely use anyway. I will check for availability here everytime I stay in Sioux Falls from now on before booking anywhere else!!
Prices went up to about $200 a night, so we were expecting certain basics that we didn't get. Bright, happy colors have us hope at first, but the issues quickly outweighed the pros. The beds were very comfortable but were much smaller than the queen beds we expected. The breakfast was very disappointing. There was no hot food until we were already leaving after finishing the cold items. The biggest issue was the barn door style bathroom door. There was no handle insert on the inside (see picture). This style of door gives no privacy, it can't be locked, and there is a gap into the bathroom if you fully close the door! The soap dispensers in the shower were a good idea but one fell in the middle of the night and clattered to the floor. They definitely shouldn't be held up with Command strips. The clock in our room has a 6am alarm set, so we were up 3 hours early. That was especially disappointing since this was our getaway from waking up often at home. Though not a huge deal, or tv was crooked which didn't look great. The rooms have high ceilings, but seem very small since the door opens up right to a bed. Speaking of doors, you have to be careful out the door won't latch when it shuts. We were, overall, not happy with our stay. The overnight worker also seemed unhappy to be there. The guy working in the afternoon was very friendly though. Would NOT stay here again. Ever.
When visiting Sioux Falls on my last couple of trips, I've stayed at Glo Dawley Farms on the east side of Sioux Falls. I appreciated the airy lobby, the modern furnishings, as well as the relaxed atmosphere of this new hotel, where families and friends can comfortably gather. The hotel is convenient to shopping and restaurants. It also has easy access to major roads and freeways. I'm delighted to be at this hotel which is away from the congestion of downtown Sioux Falls. General Manager Dalton is professional, diligent, and personable.
I stayed here for one night while on a short visit to Sioux Falls. I chose it because it was close to where I was meeting friends. I'm not a fan of the ultra modern decor, but I have to say that the bed in my king room was the best bed I'd ever slept in, and the numerous pillows were very full and comfy. The shower was great, excellent pressure with a wide head. Blackout shades kept the room dark even though it was on the east side. The TV was huge and placed great for viewing from the bed. The complimentary breakfast was a bit sparse but definitely adequate, with the area very clean. The parking lot was well-lit, which is important to me as a woman traveling alone. I'll stay here the next time I meet my Sioux Falls friends.
I was working in the area from out of state and had to extend at last minute and the hotel was sold out! I talked to Kayleen, and her and Dalton went above and beyond to make sure I had a room! Thanks
Very modern style but at the expense of convenience and functionality. Biggest issue was the barn door type door for bathroom. Very bad design. Noisy, not private, interferes with tiny closet. No mirror in living area. Air conditioner quit working second night. Lobby furniture not convenient to sit and visit. Breakfast bar very average. Not very well soundproofed. Wife cut leg on bed furniture and bled on sheets. Staff very friendly. Wouldn't stay here again.
The Glo has delivered every time on what I'm looking for in business travel: comfy bed, clean spaces, good internet, and consistently awesome service. I'm on the road weekly, so having a home away from home is important to me. They staff here has always gone the extra mile to do everything in their power to make my experience exceed expectations. I couldn't ask for more!
We were warmly greeted at this adorable hotel. Everything was immaculate. The lobby and room decor were super cute. There was complimentary shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, a mini fridge and a safe. We loved that the beds had 6 pillows. There was a nice shopping center and movie theater within walking distance. I would definitely recommend staying here.
This was our first time at this property and will not be the last when we travel. Overall we not huge fans of the ultra modern boutique...but it was so cute and comfortable it was an excellent stay. We travel extensively and switch between Hilton and Best Western hotels. This little gem is tucked conveniently near everything. Upon checking in we were made to feel like cherished guests...that extended to every employee. We received great recommendations for a nail place for my wife and a serious lunch; Brandon was a delight when I walked my little dog...this young man worked like a demon at the front desk, preparing breakfast and who knows what else. Our room was impeccable..small, but designed with efficiency....bathroom is huge, which is what you want! Our bed was so inviting and comfortable...best sleep/bed we've EVER had!!! We stay at a lot of hotels. Pool was heated, but not enough for us, gym was great. Highly recommend...close to VA for the veterans.
The rooms are very comfortable and they are always clean. When they clean my room they are very respectful with my stuff. The staff is very accommodating and willing to help you with your needs. Always polite and very respectful. I never had any problems with my reservations or if I had to cancel and make a new reservations they were more than helpful to accommodate my needs. The outside and the inside lobby it's very clean. They have a very good selection of breakfast and the coffee is always hot
Overall this hotel is beautiful and a very friendly staff. We stayed in a room with 1 King. The room itself was very small… I felt like there wasn't room to put my bag or walk comfortably between the bathroom and the side of the bed… barely any room. The bathroom was very nice and spacious.
The new GLo BW Hotel in Dawley Farm is chic, comfortable, and very worth it for its price. I would definitely stay there again whenever I am in Sioux Falls, as its location and amenities exceeded all my expectations. Staff was great as well. Overall, a great hotel!
Overall, this was a cute hotel to stay at. Very modern looking. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was huge. Pros: spacious room/bathroom/shower Good lighting Great location, on east side of Sioux Falls adjacent to shopping, yet quiet edge of town. Nice pool Nice view and parking lot Cons: closets are strangely small, suitcase will not fit if you want to close it, but have to close them if you want access to bathroom. (Sliding doors) No hot tub Poor pressure in shower
No room service, offered full breakfast but never stocked!!! Unattended front desk for several hours!!! Don't waste your money. Would compensate for unsatisfied visit. Will not ever go back to this property.
The hotel is new (about a year old from what I was told) and modern design. Definitely animal friendly as the dog in the room next door loved to howl and cry when the owner wasn't in the room. Thin ceiling as you could hear the people upstairs banging around. Shower doors didn't stop water from coming out of the shower. People that design these rooms should live in them for a week before they're built into the hotel. Good breakfast choices. Nice pool but it could have been warmer. Good for doing short laps. Really close to shopping mall with numerous food choices. Room did have a safe for valuables. Not sure if I would stay there again. Wasn't bad for the price. I am glad a I booked early for the the weekend. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Great price for a clean, modern hotel that includes WiFi, breakfast, pool and a gym while being close to entertainment, shopping and places to grab a bite to eat. Beds are cozy, parking convenient, USB ports throughout the lobby furniture. Cool place, great for family.
We stayed at the Glo as it was near our son's house in Sioux Falls. The front desk was great at making an impressive first impression. Due to Covid the breakfast was restrictive but every item was individually packed meaning the Best Western Chain takes Covid seriously. From here we are leaving for Juneau Alaska and will stay at a Best Western there. Our preferred brands are Marriott, Hilton and Best Western. We will return to the Glo later this summer while visiting our son in Sioux Falls.
The computer system was down when we checked in Friday. So the front desk staff random put us in rooms. But when we returned Saturday after the wedding, they had given our room to someone else and didn't know where our items were. Other than that the hotel is modern, bathroom door is a barn door that doesn't cover the door opening so you can see into the bathroom while it is being used.
This is a lovely little hotel and well priced. It also has very comfortable beds. But the sliding door over the entrance to the bathroom provided very little privacy while in the bathroom. I want a door that shuts completely and doesn't just slide in front of the opening and then has gaps when it's in place. Secondly, I was thrilled to see a large rain shower head in the ample shower stall, unfortunately, the water pressure was almost nonexistent which made for an unpleasant experience. Lastly, while there was a chair at the desk in the room I found it strange that the only other place to sit (other than on the beds) was on a cube.
My husband and I had a great stay at the Glo Best Western in Sioux Falls. It is very close to great shopping and restaurants. The pool and fitness center were a great thing available to the guests. The breakfast was decent for the current covid regulations. We would definitely stay there again.
Loved the ambience of the hotel and our room. Very chic and my husband and I were impressed with the accommodations for the price! Nice amenities, and the COVID-friendly breakfast bar offered a lot of options. The seating area in the lobby is comfortable and inviting. Unfortunately, we were both jolted awake by rowdy teens/early 20-somethings returning from the pool which closes at midnight. I've never been to a hotel that has their pool area stay open until midnight, and I think that should be reduced. Beware of that and request a room that's farther away from the crown if you're hoping to catch some sleep. Also, lighting in there is a bit bright coming from the phone box, so bring a sleeping mask to block that out if you're hoping for a dark space to sleep in. But I don't think that should deter you from visiting. I think this was a one-off experience, and I'll be better prepared in the future when traveling.
Conveniently located 3 miles off i29. Crisp, modern, clean lines. Super comfy king bed with enough fluffy pillows to delight you. Quiet location. Adequate breakfast selections. We will stay again. Movie theater, Kohls, Target, strip mall and restaurants near. Enough space to park a boat and truck.
The good: clean, new, friendly staff/manager The bad: room is small and design is awful. Bathroom door is a barn style so it does not lock or even close all the way. You can see someone sitting on the toilet from outside the bathroom. Oversized modern bowl style bathroom sink that takes up way to much space and is awkward, especially for the kids (or short people). Walls paper thin and can hear everything around you.
There was never staff around when needed. No bell to ring to alert staff someone was waiting. The bathroom barn door set up was horrible as you could see in the bathroom because the fitting was not correct, then if the bathroom door was open you couldn't access the closet. Such a small room to begin with. I think the tv was the largest item in the room. Cleaning lady was the most helpful person I found the whole 4 day stay.
Unfortunately housekeeping missed the mark by a long shot. This is relatively a new hotel so really this is unacceptable. The Hotel mgr was accomodating and very apologetic. He credited us 2000 points toward a free stay. But the Housekeepers could use remedial training.
The motel was very nice and we had a pleasant stay. The only thing we noticed that could use some help was....there was no microwave in the room and the luggage carts were not very functional. Other than that I would stay there again as it was nice.
Good to have a nice clean and modern hotel choice on the east side of Sioux Falls. Easy access to Highway 11 and Dawley Farm Mall. Rooms are bright with very nice decor and the beds are extremely comfortable.
Waited almost 30 minutes for someone to come to the desk to check is in. That was even after I called after 15 minutes. Otherwise the room was fine. Seemed to adhering to CDC guidance re COVID-19. Thanks.
When I first got to the hotel I was excited to see how the inside looked. Immediately I was amazed. Very clean, calm and up to date. The staff was very friendly and respectful the whole time during the quick check in process. My room was awesome. I absolutely loved my stay that night. I will be booking soon again at this hotel.
We stay at Best Westerns very often, we're Gold rewards members. This particular hotel was this first truly disappointing Best Western stay. Reservations weren't there, after 75 minutes in front of counter got room not desired that had issues and limited accessories. Also had poorest breakfast of 4 stays at Best Westerns during 8 day road trip.
I checked in delighted because it was a new hotel, I was expecting neat, tidy and friendly staff. I checked in and was directed to a room on the second floor, I opened the door and the room was a mess and hadn't been cleaned. I double checked my key to make sure and called the front desk from my room to let them know, the front desk worker then stated to bring all my stuff that I had just brought upstairs back down. When I got to the front desk she wasn't there I waited for over 15 minutes for her to return hand me a new key and send me on my way. When I was waiting 3 other people came behind me all complaining about the bad service and lacking cleanliness. The breakfast was awful only offering cereal and coffee. It was supposed to be a fun trip the only thing that made the stay better was the pool, however we had to bring our own towels since towels weren't available.
This hotel is new and is located on the East side of town. This location is not good, however there are no other nice hotels on that side of town. There is a movie theater, Kohls, Target, etc just across the street. The hotel is far from the the mall, hospitals, arena, etc. The hotel is very contemporary - loved that! The staff were all friendly. The pool area was lovely and the water was warm. There is no hot tub. The breakfast was covid friendly. Individually boxed cereals, individually wrapped breads and bagels. There were already heated Jimmy Dean's egg/cheese/sausage sandwiches. The room was small. Slightly smaller than a Super 8 or Disney Value resort room for 4 people. Much smaller rooms than typical Hamptons, Hilton Garden Inns, and Marriott hotels. However, the bathroom was nice sized. The bathroom door is a barn door. It closes, but there is no latch or lock on the barn door and there is still a gap on both sides so that one can see slightly in. Not exactly family friendly. We would be uncomfortable if we were staying with anyone other than our immediate family. The bathroom towels were nice and thick. Loved the room furnishings. Unfortunately there is no microwave. The beds were very comfortable. The bedding was excellent. The pillows were great and abundant. The cleanliness of room was OK, but not great - lots of dust in both the room and bathroom and some actual dirt. There is room for improvement.
Love having a new hotel on this side of town. It's very close to my work site and easy to get to. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are nice and clean. Great place to stay when you are in Sioux Falls!
We chose the large room. After checking in and getting to our room, it seemed small and then we got a call from the front desk that we were given the wrong room. We had to go back down to the front desk and re-register and then move up one floor to a new room. The next morning the shower door leaked all over the floor so we needed to wipe the floor so it wasn't slippery. Then I decided to dry my hair. Plugged the blow dryer in, turned it on, and we lost all the power in the bathroom. Called the front desk and maintenance came but couldn't figure out how to fix it. When we left, we still had no power in the bathroom. The lady at the front desk, when we turned in our keycard, just giggled and said "tough luck about your room".
Samira was the best, the room was ok and a double queen and we needed pet friendly so this was perfect. They have a pool. There was individually packed breakfasts to take in the morning. Close to shopping.
My family and I stayed 2 nights and I didn't have really any complaints. There are a few minor detail hiccups such as leaky shower doors and handles, but other than cosmetics, it was a beautiful room with a lot of space. Amanda is the sweetest human! She was very understanding and accommodating of my family's travel arrangements.
We checked in late and Morgan at the front was very nice and helpful! The beds were so comfortable and soft. And SO MANY PILLOWS!!! The towels were great, shower pressure was a little weak, but suitable. The ac didn't get as cool as I'd like, but it worked. Breakfast was good for what was available. Staff in the morning were very pleasant! Overall, it was a great stay and I'd stay there again!
We stayed here to visit our daughter nearby. We expected a nice hotel since it's brand new. Best Western may have hired first year architect students as the lobby resembles a student union. I'm sure on paper this seemed like a good idea but plastic type flooring and a sliding barn door on the bathroom are bad ideas. With little insulation it seems, it's very loud, especially when they're cleaning the room above you early morning. Our first room was not clean so they did give us a different room. Our son had a different room and found clothing in it from a previous guest. The floors must be hard to keep clean as neither of our rooms had clean floors. I belive an investment of carpet for each room and a door on each bathroom would be worthwhile. Also the cleaning just wasn't up to par. Disappointed for sure.
Especially because we were staying in town to visit my 92-year-old father-in-law and spend time with my pregnant daughter, we were pleased that the hotel was requiring masks. Yet, when we checked in--my wife was forced to stand in front of a desk worker who was NOT wearing a mask for perhaps 15 minutes (I.e. not only was he slow but he was expecting her—who has complicating conditions—to protect him with her mask while he demonstrated he didn't care a whit about her health). Although, that night, I told him that I was disappointed in his lack of caring—the next morning I saw him again without a mask, talking loudly inches away from a masked co-worker who appeared extremely uncomfortable with his disregard for her.
Loved this hip, modern, unique Best Western ! Loved and appreciated the pool and fitness center. The hot oatmeal for breakfast was also appreciated. The decor and newness of this facility was truly enjoyable.
none of the in room bathroom doors completely close. They are sliding doors and do not cover the doorways. You can see out and others can see in! No privacy. We were moved to another room but the doors weren't much better. With 4 of us in the room we had to use the lobby restrooms for privacy and did not shower here. No microwaves to heat our breakfasts, lobby did have one. They advertise a bar but its just 2 stools at the front desk! Decor, beds and pillows were very nice. They did apologize for the inconveniences. Probably won't ever come back.
Very new. Very modern. That really doesn't matter to me. Not sure the gal working at the front desk is old enough to be working. She was also very disrespectful. We asked for water to make coffee in the morning. The water here smells awful! We were told we would have to buy water at the vending machine. I think the hotel should provide decent water to make coffee.
This was one of the most pleasant hotel stays that I have had. The staff was very friendly, the rooms were very modern and soooo clean, and the pricing was very comparable to other hotels. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Sioux Falls - great hotel!! I would definitely stay there again!
Great place This hotel located in Sioux Falls, South Dakota is a very hip, contemporary, clean, modern hotel. The staff were very friendly and kind along with extremely helpful. The hotel it's close to many amenities. Wonderful place to stay.
New and modern hotel. We loved the fun interior design and tall ceilings in the hotel room we stayed in. Very clean and convenient location in east Sioux Falls. We would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Sioux Falls.
