Best Western has friendly staff, clean rooms, and perfect amenities, We only travel a few times a year so when we do drive we always look for the hotel that has the best to offer. We also have a dog now so we always research prior to staying

This is an ok hotel. It is clean but a bit worn and cramped especially the bathrooms. Some staff were very friendly others not so much. The lodge theme is well done and fun. The bed was comfortable. It is a convenient location.

We were so thankful for our stay at this Best Western! We are a family of six, and their suite, Room #200 was awesome for our family. Two big rooms. Beds were comfortable. Sleeper sofa was a bit worn, but our 17 year old son said it was fine. It had a great fridge, a dining table with chairs, lots of seating. It's a bit worn….you can tell it used to be really nice maybe 15 years ago….but it's still clean & good now. Plus the price was great! Good pool & hot tub that our kids enjoyed. Perfect stop on our road trip from Tennessee to Oregon.

Travel for vacation destination. Overnight stay during 1600 mile trip with my husband and or dog. The location was convenient with great highway access. The breakfast was excellent and the service was great.

With two queen beds the room seemed quite small, the only access to each bed was between them as they pretty much bumped up to the wall. Small bathroom counter area. But my complaint.......this was a dark, dark room. One lamp on the desk and one lamp on the single nightstand which made reading in bed difficult. The breakfast was fine but, again, it was dark. The desk clerk told us it was called warm lighting but there wasn't anything warm about it when I can't see what I was looking for. BW Plus, think again. Great staff, quiet, clean and cute but work on the lighting please.

We were impressed with the entire lodge. We didn't know what to expect after Cabela's cooperate headquarters closed. Lobby was very nice. Rooms were well kept. Breakfast was very good. Lots of items to choose from. Staff was very friendly.

We enjoyed our stay at this Best Western. The rooms were very clean and the staff went over and above. They were the first Best Western I've stayed at that offered fresh baked cookies. This was an unexpected addition. I want fond of the breakfast. That would be my only complaint!

This quick stay was so very comfortable and inviting. We truly loved our little unplanned overnight here! The whole experience though brief was great! The staff was very friendly and Inviting and the whole hotel was clean and relaxing! We loved the pool! It was conveniently located near the highway but not right against it.

You can count on the hotel staff being very friendly and helpful and I love the western feeling there. It's extremely easy to get to from the highway and has plenty of options for food nearby, as well as having a nice pond to take a walk around.

We like the interior lobby area design of this BW Plus Price of travel has gone WAY up and we noticed the number of travelers is way down. The Sidney BW price may seem expensive but is in line with the industry.

This is a clean friendly hotel with nice rooms, and very good breakfast And Sidney has a great Supper Club to boot! It's our first choice in town and we are never disappointed. We highly recommend for anyone going through the area, and Cabelas is across the street.

Very accommodating staff, clean rooms, safe parking lot and the lounge area in the front was very useful for meeting up with others. We had to change dates twice with a large group and they worked with us very well and ensured all of our needs were addressed. We used conference rooms and the breakfast area as well. All were in great shape and clean.

Just passing through and wish we would have had more time to enjoy the stay and all the hotel amenities. Everyone in our group had a great stay and breakfast was perfect for sitting down to eat before we got back on the road. Stayed in the suite that was great for our family of six. Highly recommend! Staff was great as well!

An older facility, but well maintained. The staff were all very nice and helpful. They gave me a room upgrade which was a nice surprise for a weary traveler. I would definitely stay at this property again.

My husband and I were exhausted from our 10 hour drive. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Good breakfast selection! Will definitely stay again! New favorite Hotel for road trips!!

This place is beautiful, friendly, clean, pretty, so comfortable, and has the most amazing hotel pool that I've ever experienced. Their attention to detail is outstanding. I'm so glad I became a BW member! I'll definitely be back soon! Oh and it is walking distance from my favorite store in western Nebraska...Cabela's! Also walking distance from restaurants and Walmart.

It didn't dawn on me until I stepped into the lobby. This use to be the Americ-Inn. No wonder I couldn't find a listing for the place. It's just an change of ownership. This is still a really nice place with comfortable rooms. Now there is an Applebee's nearby! One of the best things that has not changed is the breakfast. They have biscuits and sausage gravy! I find it odd that as I traveled across the country this is the first place along the route to offer that. No matter what, I hope that never changes.

We stay at this hotel every year as we travel out West. The staff is always polite and responsive. The pool is very warm and is a welcome treat after a long day of driving. The breakfast is high quality. The waffles are the best!

The staff was friendly, the pool temperature was perfect for my two little ones and it was clean and quiet. After a very long day of traveling everyone was ready to be out of the vehicle and even though the lady checking us in was training the check in process was quick.

We just needed an affordable place to sleep to break up a long drive and this fit the bill. The staff were friendly and went out of their way to be welcoming. The rooms were clean and it had a nice pool and hot tub which the kids enjoyed after a long day on the road.

Very nice rooms, just for the heck of it we went with a suite and the whole family enjoyed it. The kitchenette was clean and the table and chairs were also very nice and in good condition. The pool area was enjoyable and a family favorite.

Hotel is easily accessed from the freeway; staff is pleasant & professional, room was OK but not what I would have expected for a BW Plus. Room furniture & decor is old & dated. Amenities are minimal compared to other BW hotels we've stayed in.

Great location. Plenty of food options nearby, some within walking distance. Carpet smelled as if it needed a thorough shampooing, otherwise great sleep. Price was a bit high compared to others. But so is gas!

The rooms were average. The beds comfortable and room was quiet. Couldn't control heating - didn't work well. Charged too much for pets. Pet rooms were convenient to outside door. The toilet in the bathroom was way to low.

Jody, Katy and Bobby were exceptional in assisting my son during his stay at their facility. They were professional yet in this, they were also personable and caring. I am very grateful for each of them.

A good pool and hot tub are high on our list when booking hotels. Sidney Best Western was wonderful! Warm water and great space. Seems like so many newer hotels don't even have hot tubs available. Rooms are spacious and hotel is cozy at a great price. This is Sidney Ne, so it's not a 5-star hotel, but I would pick this hotel over MANY others I've stayed at around the US. Largest rooms available are less than $150. Services are friendly, good breakfast and a very comfortable stay. Plus the rooms have options including whirlpool tubs or fireplace. Will definitely be back again.

This place was ok but I will not stay here again. The reason mostly is because they have Fox News blaring in the lobby 24/7. I found it unbearable. It ruined any warm inviting ambience the motel could have had because of this.

The hotel was very clean and all of the staff members were really friendly. Breakfast was great and the front desk employees were very helpful during my stay. I would stay here again without a doubt! Great breakfast too

I really liked the cozy cabin feel to this hotel. I was a bit nervous what we would find when we booked it since it was more affordable and looked older. But I was pleasantly surprised. We got the family suite. I would get it again. breakfast was decent. The pool was our favorite from our long trip because it was warm! All our other hotels had cold pools. The cons; the heater was loud. But it wasn't too cold so we left it off. The pull out couch wasn't made. I went down to get bedding and he apologized. He was very friendly. The wifi was a bit wonky.

Katie,, the registration clerk, was extremely pleasant and helpful. She always had a smile on her face. The hotel rooms were very nice and clean. It is easy access to freeway and near Cabelas. The breakfast was full of choices, hot and fresh.

The stay was ok. Not the usual Best Western experience more like a Motel 6 experience. No issues just a basic hotel stay, over priced for stay. Place was clean and felt secure. Offered breakfast but pretty basic, nothing to write home about.

We recently stayed here for one night on our way from eastern PA to Utah. Although we are Hilton Honors members, the Best Western brand was chosen because our travel companions had their two cats with them. We were very pleased with this hotel, which had a great room rate for the quality we encountered. Our beds and linens were comfortable; the a/c worked well, and our room was quiet. The breakfast was tasty, with a nice selection and an attentive and friendly breakfast attendant. Front desk staff members were friendly & helpful, making our stopover in Nebraska a real pleasure. We arrived too late to visit the Cabela's next store; an adjacent Walmart was a convenience as well.

This hotel was a last minute decision for our group and it was a good one. This hotel was in a quiet place, clean, the staff was friendly, and the rooms were nice and beds good. The breakfast selection was really good and many things to choose from. There aren't many places to eat by this hotel but we ate at Applebees and it was great. There isn't much water pressure in the toilets so be aware of this.

This best western was clean and rooms were fine. Nothing too spectacular. Breakfast was disappointing. One little offering of hot food, although the advertisements claim we all get a hot breakfast. There wasn't enough food to actually feed those who wanted breakfast.

Extremely clean, exceptional service, comfortable beds, walking distance to restaurant, beautifully decorated, reasonable price, full hot breakfast, easy access from highways, were allowed to park motorcycle under awning. Wonderful stay and would highly recommend.

This was a good stay and good value (actually I used points, but the amount assigned for the room was a good value). Breakfast was hot and fresh. If something was low, it was soon replenished. Friendly staff. This was my second stay here. I was very satisfied both times.

We arrived with our pup before 6pm, check in was easy, no mask required. The grounds were well taken care of and an Applebee's Restaurant right next door. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Folks traveling with their pups get to stay on the 1st floor. Our Memorial Day weekend was very pleasant and the weather held up long enough for him to get a round of golf in. Oh, and Cabela's is right next door too.

Front desk staff was friendly and the speed of check in was super fast. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Pillows were not as good as the last time we had stayed in this hotel a year ago though.

While this hotel is in a rather small town, I feel like it lacks the standard for comparable properties we've stayed in the last several years. Good location, water was hot, bed was comfortable; however, the appearance, cleanliness & quality was substandard.

Good quality for a good price, full breakfast, pool and fitness center is open. Comfortable, clean rooms. Close to restaurants, easy access to I-80. Truck stops for fueling up before starting your day.

The hotel was nice with an Applebee's next door and Cabelas as well. It was a quick stop for us as we traveled across the state. The staff were friendly and obvious Covid precautions were observed. Would stay there again.

This was a perfect place for our family from all over to gather and celebrate the holidays! Clean friendly and made us feel like family! We will definitely be staying here in the future and the kids loved the pool!

This is the only hotel I stay at when i am in Nebraska. I love how cozy it feels and will always be a repeat guest. Fireplace Suite 202 is a very nice room . I like the hot tub and pool area with the cabin like feel.

Check in was fast, the room was clean except for a shirt hanging in the armoire. At least two of the restaurants within walking distance are closed, but the Applebee's was open. We took our food to go and ate outside overlooking Cabelas' pond next door (with geese and ducks swimming about). Hotel within walking distance to Cabelas and also a cool monument to the Pony Express. Coffee in lobby was okay. It was an okay stay and would stay there again.

We stayed here one night and was very pleased with our stay. Clean rooms, COVID safe. So thankful for the wonderful staff. The cleaning staff found my lost purse and the manager was gracious enough to mail it back to me! Can't thank them enough.

Very disappointed in our room. The shower drain was very clogged with hair and wouldn't drain. My son took a shower and the tub water was up over his feet. Spoke to management and they did offer to let us move to another room but it was late at night and we were completely unpacked. We finally settled on showering in an adjacent room. Also found a live spider in bathroom and dead bug on carpet. These issues should have been addressed before renting out this room.

I am so appreciative for how the Morning Manager handled our cancellation of our hotel room. We had an unfortunate situation. This very professional manager helped us out as she reviewed our issue. She was very sweet and caring on the phone. I would love to stay here at my next trip to Sidney. Having staff like that is awesome when you are stressed. Thanks so much for her time and energy. Great hotel in small town. The staff were friendly, the rooms are nice and beds are very comfortable. I can't ask for much more. There are a few restaurants within walking distance. I tried the Mexican one across the street and thought it was great.

I stay at this hotel every March for the Sidney Open bowling tournament. The accommodations are good and the breakfast lady is really good. I think if you give the hotel a try, you shouldn't be disappointed.

Every facility at this hotel was in perfect condition. The room was large and the bed very comfortable. The pool and hot tub were very large for a roadside hotel. The lobby and breakfast room were nicely done and had comfortable chairs. Only the breakfast food selection was "typical" of this type of hotel. When we stay in Sidney again, we will stay here, no question.

This hotel is so cute looking and welcoming right when you walk in! The rooms are great and very clean! It's an older hotel so there are some signs of age but the beds are comfortable and the whole place is kept so clean!

Near to a gas station, good food, and shopping areas. Very happy with staff, they are very welcoming and friendly. They were understanding of the weather and road conditions, And were willing to work with us and our situation

Best Western in Sidney was wonderful. Right by the interstate and a Runza restaurant across the way. A lot of food options nearby. Cabelas is close also. Breakfast was more than we expected. Hot and cold items including green chile! This was by far very unexpected. They even had tortillas available. The rooms were comfortable and we had the King with a whirlpool bath. Clean rooms and not noisy at all. Will stay here again!

I really enjoyed my stay at the Sidney NE best Western motel I like the log cabin atmosphere you all have there the indoor pool was very nice need to bring my swim trucks next time and the discount I got from the Applebee restaurant was nice of souls like to see more of the Best Western chain to team up with the local restaurant in there area for these discounts Thank you for tour services Chris D

Good "roadside" motel in general -- clean, quiet, easy & fast check in and check out, pet charge reasonable. The blueberry pancakes we exceptional -- should travel take me back to Sidney I would definitely stay here.

Have given up staying at expensive large city properties except in special situations. Have had consistent satisfaction with value and service especially at Best Western. Clean large rooms. Very nice staff. Breakfast. Free parking. Coffee tea and hot chocolate in lobby. This one is a nice highway stop on I-80.

We checked into this Best Western at 5:00, The front desk staff pointed us in the right direction. Our room rate was $81 (w/tax $92.94). Actually our Best Western Rewards gave a better discount than AAA. The room was quiet and the bed was not too hard or soft. This was a nice hotel and we would stay here again. Appears to be a safe area and plenty of parking too.

Very nice motel (But no cookies?) within walking distance of the giant Cabela's home store. Nice breakfast facilities and good restaurants and bars very close by. Not real close to downtown Sidney but plenty of traveler friendly businesses within two blocks. (Gas stations etc.)

This was a very clean and comfortable place to stay. The emmployees were very nice and helpful. They have a free breakfast of waffles sausage, etc... The main reason we stopped here was because they have tesla superchargers there and that made it very convenient but the rooms and location just off the interstate make it good for ICE's also.

We were very pleased with our accommodations at the Best Western Plus Sidney Lodge. The room was clean and smelled fresh. The checkout staff and the breakfast room staff were friendly and very helpful (my favorite tea-Earl Grey-was missing from the tea offerings and they quickly restocked it and offered me my choice of one or two bags for my morning beverage.

Quick summary: Clean, quiet, comfortable room. Friendly, professional service. Easy access to I-80. Good breakfast. My review is what I expect of this type of "value-plus" hotel, not a 5-star property. We were travelling through the area and stayed one night. Room 111 had two queen beds and 4 comfy pillows on each bed. Big work desk with comfy chair three-drawer chest and closet with doors (these days, so many hotels cheap out with open closets, and I hate for cleaning staff to see all my stuff, plus it looks messier.) All the amenities that this type of "good value plus" property provides these days: microwave, fridge, coffee maker, iron/board, flat screen TV with good channels. I did not see an in-room safe (I think,) but the front desk has a safe. Also: coffee/tea available 24 hours. Nice clean bathroom with toiletries (I forget which, specifically) with shower/tub combo. Nice large vanity to spread out your own toiletries. Spotless housekeeping. Good breakfast of hot and cold items: scrambled egg, sausage, pastries, breads, cereals, nice toppings, fruit, etc. and etc. Beautiful lodge-like public areas. I can see that this place probably hosts some business groups and provides an assortment of nice public and private meeting areas. (Cabela's HQ is nearby.) As a result, there are also good business services available, and will do laundry for a nominal charge. We did not use them, but the property has a nice-looking indoor pool and a fitness room. Due diligence: if I am being picky, these are the things that could use improvement: + The complimentary wifi is slow. I don't know if that is a hotel thing or an area thing, but it's not what I'm used to. I don't recall if it is a secure network, but it's what it is. For one night, we dealt with it. + The plugs for the electrical devices are convenient, but are getting a little loose - probably used a lot. + Minor housekeeping gripe: we only had decaf coffee left with the room coffee maker. Easily corrected, but 'glad I checked before we went to bed. To sum, this was a very good stay and we'd be happy to stay again if in the area. My issues above are relatively minor.

Nicely remodeled in rustic style. Front desk very accommodating. Comfortable room but elevator access was not easy..... why the attached little room? Had Wi-Fi issues that were taken care of right away by management. It was secure also, which is unusual and nice. Breakfast was usual motel eggs and sausage.....yuck. Excellent price at a little over $100. Best Western usually comes though in quality and service.

Right off interstate. Friendly staff, easy check in. Typical hotel breakfast fare. Only complaint is there was only one person in the morning to handle the breakfast area and check out. Ran out of coffee. More was made, however, with only one person it was difficult for her to do everything

Once again we are so pleased with our stay in Sidney at Best Western! The front desk staff was super friendly and so helpful! We never have issues here and always know this will be an excellent place to stay!

When I first arrived I was greeted by a very friendly staff member who explained everything to me. Great location also. The room was clean and well kept. Breakfast was good with enough choices for this picky eater. I would stay there again.

On a recent road trip from California to Illinois, my last night, before arriving home in Illinois, was in Sidney, Nebraska. I chose to stay in the Best Western Plus Hotel, in Sidney, NE. No difficulty finding this property ... it's located right off Interstate 80. I was heading East, so after taking the Sidney off ramp, I turned right and the hotel was before me! This is a brand new facility, with great parking, and welcoming lobby. The attendants were very gracious and anxious to please and provide valuable information. After freshening up, I headed to dinner just North of the hotel and across the I-80 overpass. There are several restaurants withing a 5 minute drive of the hotel, so very convenient. After a good meal, I headed back to my room, and spent some time using the internet, (e-mails, etc.). The WIFI service at the Best Western was very good. The Best Western Plus also offers a breakfast, with your room price. The dinning room is spacious and nicely appointed. I had a long drive that Sunday so I left before breakfast, (served on weekends starting at 7:00 AM.) On week days breakfast is served at 6:00 AM, should you stay on a week day. Some additional ammenities include a Fitness Center, Free Coffee Bar, and a Swimming Pool. Highly recommended!

This hotel was just beautiful - the lobby was very inviting with the rustic features. The lounge area by the fireplace was very comfortable to just sit and relax. The rooms were attractive and the beds very comfortable. Breakfast had many choices and was tasteful. My only negative is that the internet connection was not secure. In today's cyber world - you never want to get on an unsecured network.

This is a motel I would definitely recommend. Very dog friendly, except that they do charge for a dog, and the staff were tremendous. Great comfy bed. The breakfast was very good. Nice and convenient right off of the interstate

The Best Western in Sidney Nebraska has very big lobby, and very functional. Breakfast on one side and sitting area with fireplace on the other, and lobby recessed in the middle. The staff is friendly and efficient, breakfast serves a wide variety of options. Rooms large and roomy. You will also receive 10% off several of the restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. There is ample parking and we enjoyed our stay.

The location is easy to get to. There are three restaurants close by and many others nearby. Cabela's is nearby as well. We again appreciated the gift bag. Room was quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was tasty and plenty available for the morning rush.

The wife and I are retired and need to see the west sights before we can't. After flying into Denver we rented a car and drove to this hotel. It was OK. Check in went great with two great young ladies at the front desk. Room was nice. I really have no complaints. Breakfast was hot and free. Can't beat that. We were told at the front desk that we would get a 10% discount at Applebee's, Perkins or Buffalo Point Steak House, all which are within walking distance.Today we head to Rapid City for some sightseeing.

Very nice, clean. Bathroom sink separate from shower/toilet. Desk for working with plugs on top. Beds - comfortable. It was quiet. A/C worked fine. Full length mirror. Friendly staff. Rooms were not cramped. They were not brightly lit but acceptable. Cabella store close by if interested in that. Breakfast. Eggs shaped like pancakes. Tater tots. sausage patties. Fresh fruit cut up and cold - don't see that often. Yogurt, other fruit and usual breadstuffs. Waffle machine. Pancakes in a covered pan. Orange and apple juice. Clean eating area. No complaints at all and would definitely return.

The room was very comfortable clean and nicely updated. The staff went out of their way to be helpful. There were several Restaurants in walking distance which is great after being in the car all day.

We like everything about this hotel. It is close to restaurants. We like the breakfast and it is served early enough so we can get an early start. It is easy access to the interstate also.They say I have to have 200 letters and I only had 188. I thought that I had said it all in 188 letters. So I wrote more.

For a Best Western, I was not impressed. i had asked on the phone when I made the reservation and again when I checked in to pay cash. However, the next morning, the bill was under my door and my credit card was charged. Normally when that happens, the clerk can reverse the charges and I can pay cash. This clerk said it was too late and she couldn't do that. Also, we had asked for a 6:00 am wake up call and the call came at 5:00. When I told the clerk, so they could check their system, she shrugged. There are not a lot of restaurants in the immediate area. A subway next door but for everything else you have travel to the town.

Very good hotel. We arrived late, would have liked for the pool to have stayed open all night, but the overall experience was excellent. I think if I had asked if we could swim past midnight they might have accommodated us. Front desk staff let us know that the Perkins restaurant was open till midnight and offered half price for appetizers and deserts, and hotel guests. This was thoughtful and helpful. Front desk staff was friendly as well.

The lady at the front desk was very nice in trying to find out why's my credit card would not go through. Used another card and it went through. The room was clean with a comfortable king bed. The breakfast had a good variety of hot or cold food to pick out. Overall a cozy hotel to stay.

Oh, this place is a must! Great value and well worth it. Has a lodge appearance to it that I just loved. I could have stayed here everyday and will definitely put it on my to go to again list. Very spacious. Has ammedities like meeting rooms, board rooms, perfect for business, weddings, reunions, or for a get away with a smaller group. Personnel was personal with you and made you feel as you were someone without having to go the extra distance to get there. Room was very spacious as well. Easy to find, get in and out of.

We stayed here both out & back on a trip. It's easy to get to off the interstate, with good food and services nearby. (No in-hotel dining available.) The rooms were nice, but with a distinct "musty" smell. It eventually went away (or we got used to it). Had a dead roach in the room - but at least it was dead. Some of the musty smell may have been recent treatment. On arriving home we seem to have received an e-mail that seems to come from the hotel, however it's a ####hotels.gmail account and just says "Please review the attached receipt for your stay". This was alarming enough to contact the chain. I have NOT opened the attachment as this looks like someone with access to the counter information may have created a fake hotel account and is searching for info. No response yet from anyone, but I would warn travelers to be aware and wary of any such unexpected e-mail (we have a printed receipt so this seems very strange.)

We enjoyed our stay. From the ease of check in, the knowledgable and caring staff, to the comfort of the room, the delicious breakfast, to the ease of check out, we felt welcome. The only negative would be the breakfast buffet area was too small to accommodate all the guests.

We had a great two day stay with our family. The two rooms we had were clean and comfortable, breakfast was really good, the grand kids loved it. They especially loved the heated pool. Several restaurants within walking distance, that give you a discount if you show your BW room key.

We were on our way to Steamboat Springs Co. and spent the night here. Very clean and quiet. Nice breakfast in the morning. This was our second stay at this property and each stay was exceptional. Great location right off the interstate.

Nice facilities. Lodge feeling. Staff were very friendly. Room was very comfortable and nicely decorated. Several nearby restaurants that are walkable or short drive. Some give dining discount. Breakfast was ok.

Sidney, NE is a great little town. The hotel was very clean and breakfast was great. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from very near to this hotel, walkable as well. If you are driving along Route 80 this is a great place to stay. Thank you Megan for your time and patience with all my questions. Great smile and personality.

My family stayed here one night on a cross country trip. From the friendly check-in...the indoor pool...the discount at local restaurants...the affordable price and the clean and comfortable room...everything was more than we expected! If you're traveling on I-80 make plans to stay here.

We stayed here on our way to Dubois, WY and again on the way home. Our first room smelled like a wet dog, but we were able to get moved to a second room with no problem. The second time we stayed, the room was ok, but there was mold in the overflow hole in the sink and the room seemed a little dingy. All in all it was an OK stay. Breakfast was sufficient and the kids enjoyed the pool.

I stay here often. Actually every time I travel through this area I chose this Hotel. I enjoy the Staff. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Staff are very courteous. I have never had any issues here with Nything.

Stopped in after a long day on the road and wanted to use my rewards points. I wasn't able to get through to corporate. I explained to Teagen and she informed me that is not a problem that she'll take care of it. And she did !! Very friendly and helpful. Thank you Teagen !! Hotel itself was first class all the way. I stayed here for 6 nights. The accommodations were clean and centrally located. I enjoyed the complimentary coffee and access to nearby breakfast joint with a significant discount. Hotel staff were courteous. The location is a 10-15 minute walk to the ocean and in very close proximity to some great restaurants.

Best people and well kept facility! Discounts to surrounding restaurants and handy location to many amenities! This is our favorite place to stay! They also allow our family dogs and have a nice area to walk them. Best continental breakfast anywhere!

Great place to stop on I 80 after driving through the sleet & snow in Wyoming (yes on 5/22/19) Great price with quick & easy check in. Drop your bags, change into your swim suit and head to the heated pool and hot tub for a relaxing soak!! Large hot tub holds 14! Pool area closes at 10pm to children and then is adults only until midnight. Back to our clean room, comfy bed and pillows. Clean bathroom with soft towels and the citrus soap, lotion and shampoo. My favorite! Hot shower with great pressure. Hotel shares a lit parking lot with Perkins Restaurant allowing lots of room to park our truck and 50 foot trailer. The hotel listed 3 nearby restaurants within walking distance that offered a 10% discount by showing your room card. In the morning after your breakfast, walk across the street and around the pond. There were Canadian geese with their baby goslings. Guaranteed to put a smile on your face before you hit the road! We put a gold star next to this one and will stay again!

The staff at the Best Western Plus Sidney Lodge went above and beyond our expectations...not required by us but just the way they normally perform their duties. We even joined their rewards program based on our stay. Thank you, Best Western!!!

Surprising that the accommodation is out of the Sidney township and on the highway, but it was a great hotel to stay at. Bonus was its vicinity to the original Carbella's. Couple of restaurant chains within walking distance and our first visit to a Perkins. Rooms were comfortable, clean and quiet. Good staff behind the counter. Great coffee as always.

what a wonderful surprise after a long day of driving in windy, rainy weather than to have a room with a fireplace. It was a slice of heaven. The staff at both check in and at breakfast in the morning were so nice, going out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed.

We travel cross country twice a year, and love to stop here. The motel is nicely done and quiet. Three good restaurants are in walking distance. Cabela's is nearby - a must see stop for outdoorspeople. Good staff - helpful and friendly.

We stayed here in May 2018 on our way to Washington state and catching the ferry. When we called, they said that we were getting the very last room. However, when we got there, when I asked if they were full for the night, I was told that there were still rooms available. I wonder why they would not be truthful over the phone? Stay was ok and hotel was handy for what we were wanting. We would stay here again.

I've staying at the Best Western Plus Sidney Lodge for several years now and I am never disappointed with my stay. Check in is quick, rooms are very clean with fresh linens, flat screen TV, etc. Fitness room and pool were terrific! Many thanks to Tegan for taking care of me during my stay. She was outstanding.

Cute little hotel right off of I-80. Loved the "log-cabiny" decor. Quick check-in was very much appreciated - and my room was very clean and nicely laid out. Wifi worked very well which is not always the norm. There were several restaurant choices within walking distance which made it ideal for me. I would easily stay here again.

I love staying at this hotel. There is hot breakfast offered, high speed internet, a pool and fitness room. This particular trip was not the best stay I've had at this specific hotel. There was no hot water one morning, no coffee until asked for and very little food for breakfast. This was the first time this has happened and I will give the Best Western Plus Sidney Lodge another chance.

We have stayed here a couple of times. The price is right, super friendly staff, clean, and nice atmosphere! We enjoyed the cozy lobby with its fireplace! It is conveniently located within walking distance to Cabelas too.

Was traveling on business when we stopped here. Was very happy with the appearance and cleanliness of the room. The staff was friendly and had me checked in nice and fast after a long day on the road.

This is a beautiful property and so convenient to the interstate and eating places. Our check-in clerk was very friendly and our boys loved the cookies! The family suite is enormous with plenty of space to spread out and get energy out after 8 hours driving.

I have stayed here each year on our way to Colorado. The staff is friendly the breakfast is good. Quiet comfortable rooms. Location is is to get to with restaurants within walking distance. We will continue to stay here in the future

Travel to Sidney several times per year. Always a great experience, staff rooms etc. Only choice for a great stay while in Sidney! Easy walk to Cabellas, Perkins, and a short drive to shopping and visiting historic downtown.

We asked for first floor accessible room and noted we had service dog. Staff unaware of ADA restrictions but very receptive and open to learning. Very pleasant, able to obtain all we needed for nice stay. Room was clean and appropriate, breakfast was good.

We were traveling through with our Weimador heading toward Wyoming, and we really enjoyed the stay here. Very clean and friendly. We really love all the Best Western Plus Hotels but this one was very nice.

This was the 3rd place we stopped for a room. First place was too $$. Second place had very rude young man that told us to go some where else-so we did. We did not think we would be able to afford Best Western. We did spend the night at this same hotel several years ago for a friend's wedding where several rooms were reserved.

A really nice hotel, cookies at the front desk as you check in always a plus! The front desk clerks were extra helpful - I had a problem with my kindle and they helped me fix it. Breakfast was very good, rooms very comfortable.

Just pulling up to the hotel is fun since it has the look of a rustic hunting lodge. Theme carries to the interior. We had a king executive suite which was HUGE, with a full sized couch. The breakfast area was a little hot, but there were tables spread out in cooler area. Only two minor complaints. One has to do with the building itself. Trying to get to the elevator was similar to running through a rat maze. It was difficult to maneuver the luggage cart. The other is that the management needs to hire more staff. When we checked in, the desk person was also working on laundry. And the breakfast person, was also manning the desks for check outs. This meant the items, particularly coffee, ran out while she was busy at the desk.

I was charged $132.99 base rate for a room with a single king bed for a single night. The same room is listed on TripAdvisor for $80 and the Best Western site for $86. Including a pet charge for one dog, AAA discount and taxes, the total was over $160. When I asked why I was being charged 57% more than the advertised rate I was told, "there is nothing we can do about it". This hardly explains the huge difference between the advertised price and the price I was charged.This was the only hotel problem I had on my 6000 mile,16 day road trip.

I was traveling with my dog last Tuesday, which he was in a kennel that he travels in, and when checking in to the hotel I was told there's a $20 pet fee, which I have no problem paying if the $20 is actually used to clean a pet friendly room. I stayed in room 122-A, and the smell was awful of animal. Not only did the room smell, but one of the two queen size beds smelled of urine along with the pillows, so needless to say I did not sleep in that bed. The shower curtain smelled of mold also. I understand that the person cleaning rooms can only do so much with what they are provided to clean a room with, but if there's a $20 pet fee for cleaning a room, then the hotel should provide the cleaning person with the appropriate supplies and equipment to properly clean the room, this would include cleaning the carpet. Speaking of the carpet, it was so dirty I kept my shoes on when walking around the room. If I had not been too tired after driving all day, I would have definitely complained when I got in the room. I did let the front desk person know about the smell when checking out, and she indicated that she would let the manager know. I will say that the staff was friendly when checking in, and the lobby area was clean and I cannot speak for how other rooms are in this hotel, but room 122-A definitely needs a good cleaning and deodorizing.

We only stayed one night as we were passing through but the Best Western did not disappoint. The room was clean, and the bed was quite comfortable. It was a short walk to the Cabela's store nearby (their first ever store), and although it was just off the highway, it was quiet. I would stay again for sure.

The beds were comfortable and the staff seemed nice enough and friendly. When I was picking up toys and checking under the bed to make sure my kids didn't leave anything behind I found a pair of dirty underwear that did not belong to us, and had not be thrown out by house keeping. The front desk was not phased by this like it was a regular occurrence.

Before Bass Pro bought out Cabela's Outdoor Recreational Equipment Retail Chain, they built this wonderful two-story motel in Sidney Nebraska, which at that time was their world headquarters. 24/7 gas station with diesel across the street. Nice restaurant next door. Large parking lot for RV's trucks and trailers. Friendly knowledgeable staff.

Enjoyed our two night stay here. Very pet friendly if you travel with dogs! We stayed here because of the pet friendly service. We came to Sidney NE from Idaho to pick up a new dog we were bringing home and this hotel was the perfect place with a nice grassy area for pet owners to take their dogs out as needed. Within walking distance of several restaurants that offered 10% discounts to hotel guests and next door to the famous iconic Cabela's head quarter store. Pool area was nice, kids enjoyed swimming there the lobby area was nice and

had a great stay. both check in and out was very good. breakfast was very good as was the service. would stay there again. grounds were kept up. the building was clean and neat. we did not have any problems while we were there.

We stayed here mid-week on a family trip with four adults and a dog. The room was spacious and clean but there was a faint lingering smell of cigarettes. We advised the desk staff that it was present at check-in as we did not want to get charged. They assured us that someone would come to the room and confirm the odor. No one showed for an hour so we called and asked them not to bother. Breakfast was standard eggs, waffles, cereals and beverages. They had fresh fruit mix out but on my first taste, I found it had gone sour. Once I let the hostess know, it was removed but they did not bring more out. :( The pool is nice and clean but cold and the whirlpool was cooler than expected. They have a nice dog walk area but the grass had just been watered and it was really soaked.

During our 3 week trip from the midwest-to the west and back we have stayed on several best westerns. Was excited today to see one in the horizon as it had been a long day. When checking into a room noticed several children grabbing cookies that were supposed to be for the guests. The lady behind the desk told the children"one" and they called her mom. No tongs were used when 2 of the girls just grabbed for cookies. Later I was trying to used the laundry facilities and noticed no detergent or dryer sheets available in the machines. Went to the front desk 3 times they said they couldn't find the dryer sheets. A man sitting at the desk appeared to be waiting for one of the girls as if I interrupted them. Nice rooms, just staff needs to be managed better.

We stayed here twice on a recent trip. Our first room was clean and everything functioned good. The room on our return trip was not very clean and the air conditioner was faulty. The front desk gave us a different room which was clean and the air conditioner functioned well. Its a charming hotel but maybe they are trying to cut maintenance and upkeep. Probably look for a different hotel in the area.

Clean, quiet, and comfortable hotel, with friendly staff. The location is great, with the interstate right there and restraunts within walking distance. I would stay here again on our next trip to Nebraska!!!

Room was clean and beds were really comfortable. The breakfast was a great assortment (waffles, breads/muffins, eggs, potatoes, French toast sticks, juices, yogurts, create your own breakfast burrito, cereal, coffee bar, bacon). Decor was outdoor theme. Only thing that was disappointing was the hot tub was lukewarm and no pool towels were in the pool area, however, after making them aware , someone refilled the towels within a few minutes. Pool area was nice and kids enjoyed the pool. Friendly staff. Price was reasonable. Next to Cabela's.

ON our way home from frieds house. Wanted to get a head start and a cheap one. scanned the area we were going and came across this hotel. It was cheap and it served breakfast. Got in late (midnight) and knew we would so I called ahead to save a place. all worked out. Nice comphy beds and pillows were great also.

Nice, clean, friendly, quiet hotel. Our car broke down literally in the hotel parking lot. Parts had to be ordered from Denver. Best Western Sidney took care of us immediately without a reservation. We had our Border Collie with us, but that was no problem. They booked her too! Great place. Book it with confidence.

We have stayed here more than once because of location, but this last time we stayed convinced us to try some of the newer hotels in the area. When we checked in there were 4 parties in front of us trying to check in. The desk clerk was polite and professional, but another person needed to be there. Also, the pool has not worked in over two years, the room has peeling wall paper and run down furnishings.

I checked in, inspected the room then promptly checked out as there was a pretty major bedbug infestation (#205). There was diatomaceous earth (powder used to treat bedbugs) on the boxspring which leads me to believe the hotel was aware of the problem. I called and spoke with a manager the next day. He was very apologetic and said an exterminator was on it. This place is adorable, reasonably priced, and the staff is friendly but do a check of the boxspring and throw your clothes in the dryer immediately afterwards as a precaution.

This is an attractive hotel, well worth the money. We arrived late in the day, and the woman at the check-in desk was very polite and helpful. She was able to find us a room with a reasonable price. Complimentary breakfast was okay, but the oatmeal was mostly water. Otherwise, a nice variety of food.

We were tired from traveling all day and we chose here to stay. The hotel was very nice and clean. It was very inviting and the staff were very friendly. The price was excellent for suck a nice hotel. The pool was nice but the water was a bit cold and the hot tub had just a bit too much chlorine in it but was still enjoyable. Most definitely will stay with this chain and here in Sidney if we are ever through there again.

Pros: located right off the freeway and with walking distance to Walmart and restaurants. Staff is extremely accommodating, friendly, & respectful. Present your room key to nearby restaurants for 10% discount. Free home-baked chocolate chip cookies and tea at the front desk. Decor is fabulous—you feel like you are in a lodge. Pretty cheap—only a few bucks more than the nearby Days Inn. Rooms are very clean, almost spotless. Breakfast is good. Will definitely stay again. Cons: no rollaway bed for two queen rooms, only the king rooms have a sofa-bed. Would have liked to have a newspaper—USA Today or even the local paper.

This property seems to be fairly new with a very attractive lodge-style exterior. The interior is clean and inviting. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Breakfast offerings were diverse and tasty. However the eating area is a bit compact, but very comfortable. Discounts at Perkin's and Applebee's could be obtained by showing your room key. Access to the I-80 was ez in and ez out. Great value!!!!

We like staying here because it is close to Cabelas and some good restaurants and easy to get back on I-80. The staff was very helpful faxing a letter for my wife. This is a nice motel to stay in and the breakfast was good.

I picked this hotel over similar priced ones based on the photos and amenities. It looked perfect for a quick getaway and had exactly what we wanted: workout equipment, pool, hot tub and full breakfast. Upon arrival, the lobby was very cozy and the staff was friendly. Our room was comfortable and clean. We than discovered the pool area was closed for maintenance which was super disappointing as there was no one even there working on it. When I went to check out the fitness area, the entire left side of the hall was cluttered with cases of soda. Breakfast the following morning was also a let down. No real health options e.g. fresh fruit, non fat yogurt, the coffee was barely warm and the poor girl had to do double duty covering counter as guests checked out and refill food. Ended up not able to use workout room either. After making my way down “storage hall”, I found the room to be very warm. I tried turning on the air, but it never got cool enough to comfortably exercise.

I believe it was Holly at the front desk when I checked in. She took my reservation over the phone when computers were down. She was most pleasant and composed during a very stressful situation (blizzard, roads closed). She kept me apprised of the restaurants that would be open. She even went as far as to loan me her personal phone charger for the night. She needs a promotion and at the very least a raise.

The room was OK. Everything worked. Very cheap amenities, e.g. no beverages available in the lobby after breakfast. Internet was out in the morning and the desk said the manager would have to fix it, but the manager did not arrive until after 9am. There was no hot water for tea at breakfast and we waited 20 minutes to get one cup of hot water. Also waited 15 minutes for the eggs to be replenished. No fruit for breakfast. A typical cheapskate motel skimping on everything possible, with the least amount of staff with the least amount of training. There must be better options in Sidney. Certainly will never stay at this place again.

My husband and I stayed here as we were passing through town. Since we were just staying to sleep and then getting back on the road, we didn't get a chance to see anything like the pool, but the common areas we did see were very clean and nicely decorated. The room we stayed I was cozy and perfect for our needs. I was cold from traveling and the heater in the room warmed me right up! The bed was hands down the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on. At breakfast that morning I was happy to find soy milk on the buffet. I'm not always that lucky.

I stayed at the best western plus in sidney on march 5th.VEry nice building .The rooms were clean and the maids were very nice and helpful when I needed some extra towels for my two kids. The lady that checked me in ..HAlly i think she said her name was.. She was not the best to work with.SHe was actually kinda rude to me and my husband.MS. JOdi the bb lady was very nice bb was awesome and had just about anything you would want for breakfast. There was a gentleman name kolton that was very helpful when checking us out.. even gave us a free water bottle to go!! MS.KAtlin was very nice as well she directed me to the location of the starbucks in town and was happy to help me take my bags to the car even though it was cold and windy !! Besides the rude fd attendant that checked my family in. THis is the hotel I'd recommend in this town.

It seems like we didn't stay in the same hotel as reviewed by others? For $100 a night room I expected more. Floors, particularly around baseboards and thresholds needed vacuumed. There was an empty water bottle and debris around night stand. The towels and bath mat were frayed and needed replaced. The bed skirts were snagged and crooked on the frames. Our tub wouldn't drain so had to stand in water. There was a layer of dust on the clock, phone, lamps, headboard, vents, etc. On a positive note, the bedding was clean, staff was very friendly, and the breakfast was good. This price point didn't meet my expectations as cleanliness is a priority and other amenities warrant a higher price. If in this area again we would choose another location.

Wonderful stay. Will stay again! In Sidney for a funeral. The rooms were very nice, and clean. The staff was excellent. The breakfast was beyond compare. I would highly recommend staying at the Sidney Best Western for anyone. I will stay again!!

Sidney Nebraska is home to the famed Cabela's and an out of the way gem where the rat race is non-existing. The Best Western Hotel is the gem of hotels in Sidney with super staff and super service. The rooms super clean and comfortable and a hot tub and pool equally clean and enjoyable.

Excellent location (right off I70, near the "Original" Cabellas. Great restaraunt next door and a fabulous steak house in Sidney. We were driving across country and that Nebraska stretch gets long. We had not been to Sidney before and this was a good opportunity. Clean rooms, great breakfast. Perfect stop over.

Enjoyable stay with several restaurants nearby. The staff was very friendly from check in to check out. Everything was new and up to date. Breakfast hour starting at 6:00 was great for early risers. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Everything was great with the room and hotel except there was a loud mechanical noise at the end of the building. I wish we had requested a different room closer to the lobby so it wouldn't have been as loud.

Hotel was nice, staff was friendly. There was a variety of restaurants around the hotel a steak house, Mexican, Applebee's, and a Perkins. Fast food locations across the street. Tesla Electric car chargers in the parking lot, eight of them.

It's a long boring drive crossing Nebraska. Pull over here at Sidney to visit the huge Cabelas store and spend the night. For a Best Western, this is a notch above other that I have stayed. Easy to find off the highway and right next to Cabelas along with some good places to eat. The lodge is nicely decorated, room was clean and comfortable. I had a reservation and paid $116 for a nice room with two queen beds.

I have stayed at this hotel extensively (on and off) for 5 years. Recently, it has gone WAY down hill. It is really dirty- rooms need a deep cleaning. You can see the dust on the walls. I requested the stairways (carpet) be vacuumed after 3 days of looking at the dirt and debris...the front desk clerk was uninterested in my request...and the next day- still was not vacuumed. The last two stays I have had to ask for a hairdryer. The breakfast is HORRIBLE - if there is any...often there is barely anything. Skip this place and try the Hampton or Fairfield.

Snippiest desk clerk I have met in 10 years. She totally had a take it or leave it attitude when asked about rates. The best price she could give me was $10 more than I had found on the internet. Usually with AAA or rewards, when I am standing in front of them, they can match that price. She really should attend training like some chains offer. She would have also known not to show up in a rumpled shirt with messy hair and a bad attitude. Overall, the hotel seems pretty new. It was really tough to get the luggage cart on the elevator with the sharp angles and the room does not have a closet, just a free standing wardrobe which further hampers the luggage handling

Best Western located in Sidney, NE, was a very pleasant stay on my way further west. The evening clerk was friendly and made sure I had a room on the first floor. The room was clean and fresh. Overall a great stay. Grabbed some breakfast there prior to leaving. Decent selection of food items and the coffee was hot.

We had reserved days ahead of time. Attendant at check in was not over friendly and seemed to be sick...coughing and sneezing. Nice quiet facility a short stroll to the first ever Cabela's. Motel was not very crowded at all for a weeknight. We walked to Cabela's about 4:00 then stopped by Applebee's adjacent to the motel, on the way back, for dinner. If you show your motel room key, Applebees gives you a discount. The entire time we were there, there was some garbage from someone's car right in the front row near the door of the motel. Some fast food bags and cups. When we checked out the next morning about 9:00 it was still there. The breakfast was good, with a very friendly and helpful female attendant. The large lobby is similar to the Cabela's store.

Hotel appearance great. Hotel staff great. Did not eat breakfast, but when getting coffee, everything looked well prepared and a variety of things. Will stay again. Close to restaurants, service stations, and convenience stores. Great location just of I-80.

Love the staff at this Best Western. They bend over backwards to please their guests. Always stay here when I Meet with Cabela's. Close to everything I need before and after meeting. Who could ask for anything more?

I stayed here for about 5 months on a travel assignment. The staff was very helpful, friendly, and made me feel at home. Very quiet motel with a sweet suite with a kitchenette so eating out can be a minimum. There are super eating places close, if you choose. Definitely recommend it. Sean, the manager is great, as is Gabe and Jonathan, the desk clerks, and Jody, the breakfast cook is amazing!! Super hot breakfast and Very comfortable beds. I plan to return when in the area!

My wife had been driving over 30 hours and was not feeling well. She tried to secure a room at the Comfort Inn early, however, they were rude and would not let her check in early. She went to the Best Western and could not have been treated any better. She arrived early and Colton, the manager, had a room cleaned for her and Jodie and another young lady, whose named she cannot remember, were so nice and understanding. All of the employees were great. Will stay there again. Room rate was reasonable. Room was very clean and nice. Lobby was nice and outside appearance was above average and had the look of a lodge. Large selection on breakfast bar and the food was hot and good.

Excellent staff, clean rooms, and overall good value. The breakfast was standard fare, could use some real oatmeal, but the staff was excellent. Jodi even managed to find some band aids and patch up my roommate.

My friend was travelling across the country, and i decided to use some of my free nights for his final night stay before he reached his destination. Stated one of the highlights was the whirlpool tub which he was most looking forward to due to the fact he was so sore from the long car drive. Said the bed was insanely comfy and the room/staff were wonderful.

I stayed in room 123 and I loved it!! The room smelled nice when I walked in. I was greeted with manors and everyone was so polite and kind. The only problem I had was that the pool room door was shorted and I'm not sure if its fixed now, but everything made up for it. I will definitely be staying again.

So here's what kept this from being an excellent review: the shower was really sluggish in draining so u had to stand in several inches of water and I gross out about things like that. Also we went to breakfast a little after 6 and everything warm was already wiped out including coffee. So We had cold foods which is fine and waited around til almost 630 thinking someone would come to refill it because the lady came and checked it. When the food is actually there, they have bacon, eggs, gravy, potatoes etc. but we just saw crumbs of that! Finally when we were checking out they couldn't print me a receipt showing I had a zero balance or showing the rate I was charged (89.00 which I was very happy with) so I'm hoping for the best that they are on the up and up and will be honest about this transaction since I have nothing to prove it.

We arrived early the day of the Eclipse and they were able to get our room ready for us long before check in! This is a very nice, clean hotel. Our room was great. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast area is a little small, but we ate early. They had great choices for breakfast. The front desk staff were all very nice. We took advantage of the hot tub and pool area. If travelling thru Nebraska we would definitively stay here again!

We were very comfortable at this hotel. Perkins Restaurant was right next door and we had a great meal before retiring for the night. The Sidney Lodge was a great place to stay and would definitely stay there again if we travel through Nebraska.

This hotel was very nice. The lobby and rooms were clean and neat. Also, breakfast was very good and the staff was friendly and helpful. It was located within walking distance of several restaurants which was very convenient.

Hotel needs a thorough cleaning and updating. Staff needs to present a more professional appearance. Room had an odor of mold/mildew. Breakfast area was cramped, No TV channel guide was available, either printed or online. Had stayed here a couple years ago and hotel was in much better condition.

After 8 hours of travelling, this was a welcome break. The hotel was situated amongst some good restaurants and a short walk over to Cabela's. The staff was not overly enthusiastic, but did tier job. The room was nice and comfortable. I would stay here again if convenient in future travels.

Stopped in Sidney on our car trip from Fl to WY. With dog not too many choices. Sidney has a special attraction-the Cabela home office and story which is right next to this Best Western We are big fans of Best Western usually but this was an exception. Good location, clean large room. good internet service and typical breakfast. Only down side was a less than attentive staff. Seemed to be understaffed. Still we would go back

I always stay at Best Western. They have a great rewards program. This hotel was at a great location. They had a good breakfast and internet was available. I love having the consistency of staying at Best Western hotels every trip I make.

A nice, clean hotel with good location and attractive rates. However, I had numerous small problems which the staff was unable to correct. For example, like in many hotel rooms the lighting was marginal to begin with, and to add to the problem one desk lamp was missing a light bulb. They could not locate a light bulb...and we had to change rooms to get a working lamp! When I tried to use Best Western's own gift cards to pay for the stay, the staff was unfamiliar with the redemption procedures and I had to wait for the day manager to untangle to resulting billings. I don't want to knock the BW Sidney Lodge too badly, it's an attractive, modern facility with a decent breakfast included at reasonable rates. But they might want to take time to train their staff better on the simple stuff.

Great staff, conveniently located. This was the second time we stayed here! Clean, spacious room. There was a variety of breakfast items that we enjoyed. The staff was very friendly and responsive. The location is super convenient with easy access to the freeway. Recommend highly!

Property looks good from the outside. Checked in and went to room. As I turned the covers down to check the bed I noticed some spots that looked like blood. When I turned down the sheets there were steaks of what looked like blood. The pillow cases also had smudges. The bed had not been cleaned since the last use, just made up. I took the sheet to the front desk and asked if this was normal. The clerk apologized and said she would talk to the housekeeping staff. She asked me if the other bed was clean??? I asked for all new bedding for my room. She went in the back and brought it out to me. So I had to go back and make up my own room. Never offered to do ANYTHING for me. Was worried all night about the skeevy room. In the morning the breakfast area is so small that only three families could be seated. The A/C in the area was dripping water on the floor so they had towels packed around it. Happy to leave this place. NEVER STAY HERE.

The hotel was nice and clean. We slept comfortably on tbe bed as well. The breakfast was ok, could do better. If you are a breakfast person who enjoys to eat a hearty breakfast i would go out somewhere else. I would return to this hotel and recommend it. Tip: There is a great mexican restaurant across the street called, Margaritas. It was excellent! Check the Yelp reviews if you dont believe me.

Excellent Stay At the Sideny Lodge. ALL including rooms was clean, nice and neat. Very friendly and helpful staff made stay even better. Ideal location just off of I-80 allowed for very easy "IN" and very easy "out" back onto the expressway. Ideal "extras" such as food, gasoline and so forth located very conveniently. right near Hotel.

After some unremarkable stays in Nebraska it was a pleasant surprise to drive up to the BW in Sidney. The lobby is gorgeous with plenty of comfortable seating and a wonderful balcony. The indoor architecture reminded me of a hotel in Santa Fe or Taos, not Nebraska. Breakfast buffet was generous. Our room was clean, spacious and we could even open the window for fresh air. My only complaint is that wifi was not strong in the room. However, it worked well in the lobby.

Excellent hotel after being on the road for 16 hours. Clean and quiet. Ice machine worked well with plenty of ice. Pet friendly. Easy check-in/out.. Beds comfortable. Air Conditioner worked well with plenty of air on high.

Nice décor, room was very clean, convenient location, helpful staff. The breakfast was plain. Unfortunately we encountered a bus load of tourists from a different state that were there, we found them to be very pushy and rude at breakfast.

The rooms that we booked were not available when we arrived. First I was given a room that was an office room. Second, I was given a room that had people sleeping in it that were naked when I opened the door. I was offered nothing in return for the awful check in. The employee said he really had no idea what to do.

We stayed here the night before a National Guard family picnic, after driving the width of Nebraska. We arrived at about 11 PM, and the front desk was cheerful and welcoming. The beds were very comfortable, and quiet. The complimentary breakfast had a good selection, and there were signs with tips on how to make a breakfast sandwich. I particularly liked that the décor of the common areas was open; the nice wide stairway was easier to find that the elevator.

Stayed at this hotel a year ago and had one of the best experiences at any Best Western. This year couldn't wait to return. So disappointed in the way the hotel has deteriorated. There wasn't air-conditioning in the lobby, elevators and the hallways. Apparently the hotel is under new ownership. If they do not fix these issues I am sure other customers will not return...

This hotel really exceeded our expectations. After being in several hotels during our long vacation we were very happy to have stopped at this Best Western for our family of 4. We chose the king one bedroom suite and it was huge! Plenty of space for our two boys and for all of us to spread out. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast, Wifi and hotel pool. I would absolutely stay here again if we head back West in the future.

I found a Large BUG in the bath tub, collected it and took it to the employee at the front desk. He says, "Oh they are harmless we've had them show up all summer, not sure where they are coming from. Employee offers to get Haley the evening manager from the back. Haley says, "I can't reduce the cost of your stay because that would make the owners MAD. My expectation, the room will be clean, no bugs! Requested Owners contact information. Haley was unable to provide it, would have to get it from the morning manager. At check out, the morning managers explanation was an exterminator had been there so nothing could be done. All of these staff people lacked training and maturity. Haley offered to give POINTS toward another stay if I joined the Best Western program, NO WAY!!! Never at Best Western AGAIN!

Beware the hotel is under new management and the employees are willing to inform you that is Why... The AC is nearly off in the Loby or Why the breakfast service is taking an hour to get the items on your plate to look like a breakfast that was ready to serve. Sub par experience not typical of my genrealy business use of Best Western.

Nice size parking lot! Check-in was prompt and friendly. I was impressed with the lobby and atmosphere. Rooms were clean and the ac worked well. Breakfast was standard fare...eggs, cereal, coffee, waffles, etc. The workout room was standard as well. We booked our reservation in advance on Travelocity for a rate of $74.79 not including taxes. At this rate, it was a solid value. At "rack rate"with no advanced reservations, this property would be expensive for what you receive...

Bathroom floors we crawling with ants, dirty with hair and other debris. Bathroom ceilings were rusted with spots of mildew. Anyone walking above your room caused squeaking that keeps you awake and in our case, that was almost all night long.

Friendly check in, lobby and halls were very hot. Room was large and clean with a tiny bathroom. Air conditioner worked well. Breakfast had the traditional offerrings (eggs/sausage/cereal etc.) The two hotel ice machines were empty. The buffet attendant tried to help but the kitchen only had a cup of ice to give. The lobby was very nice in appearance. Based on price - I'll try another hotel next time.

This was a great place to stay on a long trip. Our two pets were very comfortable and the bed was terrific! Breakfast was delicious and helped us get on our way quickly! We would recommend this facility to anyone!

This was one of many hotels we stayed at during a trip for a funeral. The staff was friendly and welcoming and the wheelchair accessible room was very nice. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet in the morning before hitting the road again. There is an indoor pool at the property, but after a long day on the road the noise level with all the kids was more than we were up for. If you are traveling with children there were lots of other kids around (at least the night we were there).

My brother & I stayed here 3 nights. This was based on his recommendation as he had stayed here several times in the past. We had requested ground floor rooms when we made our reservation. Which we did get. Our rooms had two Queen beds, microwave & refrigerator. My brothers room door, the magnetic lock wouldn't release properly and he had to basically kick the door to get it to open. I had the same issue with mine several times. He reported it to the floor desk but it wasn't fixed while we were there. I wasn't to impressed with the shower head in my shower. Very weak stream. The breakfast was ok when there was food. Several mornings many of the breakfast items had run out and the attendant was slow to get them refilled. Overall the rooms were ok for the money.

This is the 3rd time we have stayed in this hotel, the 1st time since it has been a Best Western. The decor is as beautiful as ever (it was designed to coordinate with the Cabela's theme - Cabela's is just across a small lake from the hotel). Although still a nice stay, a couple of things have slipped slightly since we were there previously: We have a small dog & when we went to the pet area to walk him there were no bags (not a problem as we bring our own) & the trash can for poop bags was overflowing, with some on the ground, both in the evening & the following morning. The breakfast area was not as well-managed as it had been in the past, but it was adequate.

I'm on crutches so walking anywhere is difficult. Here, the parking lot and portico was easy to navigate. I didn't slip, trip or fall. They keep the exterior grounds immaculate. Lobby was free of debris and clean. I navigated the lobby and hallways like a champ! The stairs are so wide! Those were clean and easy to use on crutches. I booked an accessible room. Talk about a bathroom that is gigantic. I can do a full 360 with crutches and not run into a single thing. The bars are all the way around the shower so if I want I can stand with assistance or sit on a shower chair. Either way showering is spot on and easy. Guest entry into the room is wide and clear of furniture. The doorways allow anyone on crutches or wheelchair to move about with ease. Room was clean and neat as a pin. The closet door was off the track but my husband put that back on. I suppose maintenance forgot to fix it. That was the only negative to my room. Breakfast bar is okay to navigate on crutches. The staff moves like fire for guests. It's the hotel guests that's don't move. So, keep in mind some hotel guests are not mindful. I brought my little yorkie with me so we do have a pet area. I used the stairs and out the door. The curb is awfully high. I had to walk through the grass to get to the other side. They were out of poop bags but I always ensure I have my own. Unhook the leash and let your pup run around and burn off the energy. There is plenty of space for the pups to run and frolic. Overall, we had an excellent stay minus me being on crutches. Next time, I'll be off those dastardly things and be able to do more. The setting of this hotel is quite breathtaking.

I will definitely stay here again if I am in the area. The pool was chilly but everything else was great. Any questions we had were answered and all the staff were very helpful. Restaurants within walking distance.

Beautiful view of goose pit lake. Do not get up too close to the geese or the lake---goose droppings everywhere. Better looking from far away. Nice view of sunset and horizon. Great for leisurely walking. Good get away area.

Great people and a nice setting. The town was a bit of a disappointment, but we may have just gotten there on an off day. The hotel was clean, cheerful. and helpful staff. No complaints. We were looking for a place close to the highway....check. We wanted an interesting town.....no so much We wanted food nearby....check, Mexican!

This hotel was quite delightful! It felt very western and the rooms were clean and well laid out. Would stay again if given the opportunity. The breakfast was also very nicely put together with plenty of warm food.

Stayed here one night. We were so glad we did. You will not be disappointed. The beds were awesome. Brand new, double quilted. Breakfast was very good. Fried eggs, sausage, hash browns, tortillas, sausage gravy, and green chile.

We were heading home from being out west and stopped when we got tired. Very nice hotel. Location was great!! Lots of restaurant choices and gas stations for the next morning when we fueled up. We did not have time to check out the pool. The breakfast was very nice. There were ideas on cards on how to mix up the food and to make a hot sandwich for example.

Travel for NY to UT and always look forward to the satay here. Great Amenities all around the hotel sand within the hotel. You've got to shop at Cabela's! Had my puppy with me and they made me feel very comfortable having him with me. The room did not smell like a dog room like at other hotels

We must have arrived on just the wrong day. The room that they gave us first hadn't been cleaned. The second room was an upgrade and clean. There were only about 3 towels that were available in the pool area - we are a family of four. The staff apologized - the dryer was broken. Although it was a sunny day, the power went out at around 7am for about 20 minutes - tough to get ready for the day. The little glitches made our stay not so perfect. The staff seemed to try to make things better though.

This was the nicest hotel I have stayed at in a long time. The room we had was very near the lobby, but we didn't hear ANY hallway or lobby noise. The room was virtually sound proof, and it was relaxing (as well as convenient because our dog does not like noise). The decor was very nice, the breakfast was good, and it was a comfortable place to rest after a long drive. We will definitely stay here again in the future.

We have stayed here a few times on our way to our daughter's. It is always clean and friendly. Breakfast is excellent. The free internet lets you plan ahead andcheck in if you need to. The beds are very comfy. It is close to the intersate highway, Perkin's, Cabella's, the new Applebee's, Walmart and gas stations. Just a short drive into town takes you to an excellent steakhouse. There are several other places to eat close by, giving the traveler many options. We enjoy our stops here. The staff are always pleasant and helpful. They are also attentive.

We stayed at this hotel in Sidney, Nebraska, while traveling through. The hotel is a nice 3-star quality hotel. It is very clean. Rooms are spacious, have refrigerators and microwaves, and good bathrooms. The hotel is pet-friendly. The beds are great. The major drawback is the breakfast, if you are looking for a good breakfast. They ran out of food half an hour before closing, including hot water for tea, and never replenished.

This is a nice clean ,quiet BW. Nice friendly staff and it is conveniently located to shopping and restaurants. Good room rates and they take a pet. Within walking distance there is a brew pub with great food.

We stayed one night on our way through Nebraska on the night of May 28th. I parked in the middle of the large parking lot, because I was driving a large U-Haul truck. The next morning, my fuel had gone from full to half-full, with about 25 gallons being pumped out during the night. I can only think that this is a regular occurrence done by someone that is well equipped with a large tank and mechanical pump, in that most vehicles are not able to handle that much fuel, and the amount of time it would take to siphon 25 gallons would be considerable. This review is not meant to reflect badly on the Best Western hotel. It is a notice to others that may stay there that someone is well prepared to steal fuel from unsuspecting travelers during the night. I would hope that in the near future, the Best Western would put up security cameras that cover the parking lot as well as post signs stating that activity in the area is being monitored.

The room was nice, but could have used another chair. Outlets near bed were a plus. Breakfast was one of the best as they had individual milk cartons and skim milk was available. Room was well attended and woman working there was friendly and helpful. She responded well when we said the refrigerator wasn't cold enough.Brand name peanut butter was appreciated.Eggs were not up to par.

The staff at this hotel was incredibly friendly and accommodating. We were traveling for work and used their conference room for our presentations. One of the managers even went to pick up lunch for us so our meetings weren't interrupted. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

This place is a real find for those doing long distance driving. The place is attractive, clean, friendly to humans and dogs, and has nice amenities both inside and out. We appreciated that there were 2-3 restaurants within walking distance from which we could carry in food. It's very convenient to I-80, yet surprisingly quiet. We slept with the window open al night! We also enjoyed the walking paths around the Cabella's headquarters and pond nearby. The experience was certainly a cut above our prior road trips!

Very nice, clean hotel with a friendly staff. If I come this way again hope you have a vacancy. The BW in Wheatland WY was also just as nice a place to visit & hope to come back there again sometime as well. Enjoyed the stay.

We were on motorcycles and asked for a room with a view of the parking lot. This property has a traditional hotel AND a cute refurbished motel. The motel section has this awesome overhang for parked vehicles. Could not ask for better. The room was clean, fairly quiet and decorated with a western theme. Towels were fluffy.

This hotel has many different options and configurations of rooms. Some rooms are suites with kitchens and contain multiple bedrooms. Some contain jetted tubs in the room, like ours did. It also had a king bed facing a large picture window instead of parallel to it. We were upgraded to this room because the previous room with 2 queens had a slight problem with one of the bed frames -- which they quickly fixed. The room amenities were superior in every way and the rooms are kept updated. The room was very quiet. In the morning, we met a family who had stayed in the next room during night, with multiple small children. We didn't hear a peep! Lots of choices on the food. The biscuits and gravy were particularly good. They also had a green chili which went well with the scrambled eggs. Potatoes were good. Jody was the breakfast manager. She was kind and went out of her way to be serviceable and see what we needed. She was only focused on one thing which was serving us. For the money I couldn't ask for more value. They met their goal of pleasing the customer. This hotel is a keeper. The other hotels that are keepers (also going from west to east on Interstate 80) are the Best Western Dunmar Inn in Evanston, Wyoming, the Best Western Plus in Lincoln Inn and Suites in Lincoln, Nebraska, and the Steeplegate Best Western plus in Davenport, Iowa.

I was traveling with my dogs and Best Western was one of the few who allowed dogs. I was completely amazed at everything about the chain. They easily rival Hilton and Marriot as far as I am concerned, and I am a rewards member of both chains. On arrival my pets were given goodie bags, the hotel was spotlessly clean, and the staff was great. Highly recommend!

Nice clean motel. Will accept pets. Good place for dinner a short walk across the parking lot. I couldn't find a hairdryer so the desk clerk brought one within a few minutes. Will stay here again next trip.

They were very accommodating at the hotel. There was a hot breakfast. The pool and hot tub was used while we stayed. They even helped out by storing the wedding cake in their freezer. The only glitch were the keys had to be reactivated a couple times, but other than that it's a great place to stay.

Everyone so nice and perfect location for meeting at Cabela's Manager Present and attentive. FedEx will pick up your boxes or extra luggage at this location, and manager is willing to let you keep boxes until FedEx arrives. Great place to chill out before an important meeting.

Called while on the road late at night. Curtious staff and very helpful. Room was very quiet RM 107, morning breakfast with ham and biscuits and gravy was perfect! The hotel has a lodge cabin feel to it with rustic flair. Big huge lodge timber in the lobby. We had a great time and even had to ask for a late check out. We will be back again!!!! Thank you!

As always, this Best Western never disappoints. It is meticulously clean, well appointed with nicely kept grounds. Sean and Gabe were excellent both on the phone and and during check in. Breakfast was one of the better BW breakfasts we've had. Jodie was a virtual humming bird as she quickly went from station to station replenishing foods and keeping everything super clean. She even remembered us from our last stay in December! Beds are terrific, linens excellent and towels nice and thirsty. Water pressure is super! I will always stay here when in the Sidney area.

We cross the U.S. twice a year--back and forth between Michigan and California--primarily on Interstate 80. We discovered the Best Western Sidney, NB location on this crossing. Staff was very friendly. The location was close to freeway exit and right next to a Walmart for getting food /supplies. And room has a microwave. Room was clean, beds firm and breakfast offering was high quality, fresh and in an attractive room setting. In addition this Best Western is pet friendly-- a requirement for our travel. An excellent motel and location--before crossing or after crossing the high Wyoming plains along Interstate 80,

I walk in and they know my name, they help with anything I ask and are always cheerful. Rooms are nice, clean, and comfortable. They recently did some updating and really makes the lobby inviting and relaxing.

This is an excellent place to stay with excellent service and clean comfortable rooms. The lobby is inviting, the rooms are big and comfortable and there is enough room to park for cars up to trucks with trailers.

Great hotel, just remodeled, if you're staying in Sidney, stay at the Best Western. I have traveled to Sidney 4 or 5 times a year for the past several years and stayed in about every hotel there. Will stay at theBest Western from now on.

Stayed here a couple weeks back on my annual trek to western Nebraska. Terrific check-in experience as I was upgraded to a suite. Very clean rooms with fresh towels and bed linens, large screen TV, excellent internet connection, and plenty of breakfast choices.

I have stayed here the past 5 years we'll run place and great staff. There very good Resturant's and Nebraska steak served wow a good aged beef they know what there doing. The head quarters of best sporting good stores.

My family spends one night here traveling on our way to Steamboat Springs to go skiing every year. This is where we always stay. They are consistent. It is clean and quiet. Breakfast is good. Service is always friendly. We will be back next year.

After traveling all day, I decided last minute to stay at the Best Western Plus Sidney Lodge. Who know it was originally the hotel owned by Cabella's Sporting Goods for their world headquarters next door? The front desk representative, Tiffany, could not have been nicer. She went out of her way to assist and answer questions before I even asked them. Rooms were clean and comfortable and the complimentary in-room waters and cheese popcorn were a huge hit! Breakfast offered a large variety and although it was listed as opening at 6AM, they were ready for guests at 5:30AM when I departed. Although not a new property, I would highly recommend the BW Plus Sidney for it's customer service and clean, comfortable accommodations. They are a dog friendly hotel too!

Got in late from Indiana, check in was quick and went smoothly. The gentleman who checked us in was very polite. Breakfast was delicious, lots of variety and a very pleasant lobby. Pet friendly, wonderful staff and comfy beds.

Great staff, excellent service, clean and comfortable room. Its hard for me to sleep away from home, but the beds were great. I slept very well. Breakfast was tasty and healthy. Only problem, the pool is under renovation so we couldn't swim.

The hotel is nice but the pet fee is way too high. If you traveling with a pet this makes this hotel nearly twice as much as other comperables. This has been my normal stop on strips from Alaska to Texas but not any more. They are hotels that equally as nice for less money and no added pet fee

Love the decor and just loved the overall appearance of the lobby area and the view from the second floor down to the lobby. Pretty awesome. Loved the breakfast. We have been on the road for 11 nights and this was one of the best places we stayed.

The ambience and feel of this new hotel was great. The refrigerator did not work in my room, the free Wi-Fi worked great. At breakfast, the OJ was weak and a bit sour-tasting and the waffles were a bit doughy. Had an issue at check in, but the staff handled it professionally and provided a room. The room and bed was comfortable. Overall, I was happy with my experience.

This place is amazing, friendly staff, great service, the breakfast was awesome. The local area has plenty of places to eat, a large Cabelas store next door and plenty of other things to do. My room was very clean, comfortable bed and just an all around great place to stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

I had never stayed here before as we usually stay elsewhere BUT I'll definitely be back! The breakfast was on point, the beds were AWESOME, and the staff was friendly. The fitness room was also nice! They had two treadmills, elliptical, bike, and bowflex. I enjoyed this as I get up at 0500 to workout. I'd recommend this hotel!

While hunting antelope in nearby Sterling, CO, my son and I stayed at the Best Western Plus in Sidney, Nebraska. It was reasonably priced and conveniently located. Nearby were several very good restaurants and shopping. The room was very comfortable! We enjoyed the hot breakfast each morning that was better than many! The staff was very friendly and helpful. We have already recommended this hotel to several others, and our hunting guide has also, based on our experience.

We were driving through to WV for my sons wedding and remembered that Cabelas National HQ was here so we decided to stop for the night and visit them in the morning. My favorite thing about the hotel is it is set in the Cabelas outdoor them. They even have a picture of store #1 in the lobby.

The best thing about this hotel was the staff! Big shout it and thank you to them! They were super accommodating; we were a bit high maintenance since there were many of us there for a wedding and we made many requests which they happily fulfilled. Andrew at the front desk was truly the best and always smiling and ready to help. The breakfast was adequate, the waffle iron didn't seem to cook waffles too well. The best thing about breakfast was the attendant, Jodi. She was super friendly, did her job well and was genuinely interested in the people she was serving. The room was nice but the bathroom and sink area was a bit small. The room was clean and beds were comfy. The pool area is large, the hot tub wasn't very warm and some of the jets didn't work but the kids still loved it. Overall this is a nice mid class hotel and we had a great stay.

This hotel is located right off the interstate so it makes for a good option when traveling. I arrived in Sidney around 7pm so I really just needed a place to stay until I got back on the road the next morning. The price seemed high considering it's in a small town (I paid $160) and right along the interstate. The lobby was clean and decorated in a mountain/cabin feel, and the front desk lady was extremely friendly. The room was standard, beds were comfortable. The bathrooms could use some remodeling/upgrading. If I were traveling alone I may feel a little uncomfortable here. There were a lot of construction workers staying here (nothing against them) and each time I'd go out in the hallway a different man was roaming the hall.

Not sure where to begin, so I will just do pros and cons. PROS: - The desk clerk was great, very friendly and tried her best to be helpful. - The showers drained adequately. - The beds were super comfortable. CONS: - My husband didn't get to enjoy the comfy bed. He was up all night making sure our vehicles were secure because there was a group of young men from a moving company loitering in the parking lot and smoking weed in their van all night long! At 3 am he found them hanging around our car. When he confronted them, they said they were just "checking out" our classic car. We brought this issue to the attention of the desk clerk earlier in the evening, and she said she would "keep an eye on the parking lot," but unfortunately this did not solve the problem. - I always check the sheets, and this time we found some body hairs. The desk clerk immediately came and changed the sheets for us. (Again, this girl really tried her best.) - The carpets were heavily deodorized. I am sensitive to smells and this was just overpowering. We opened the window and turned on the a/c which helped a bit. I had to take a benadryl due to the reaction from the fragrances (itching, hives, burning eyes). This could be a concern for anyone with chemically triggered asthma. Like other reviewers, we were also given a coupon when we reported the problems. This was very considerate, but I feel the hotel would do better to just fix the problems instead of discounting everyone!

I came in to pick up my daughter and the weather was awful and the location of the motel is right off the interstate easily assessable. The parking lot was empty when I pulled in. I wish I had kept going to the next motel. The front desk staff was sitting out front at a table visiting with a group and waited till I was almost to the front desk before being spoken to. I felt that the price was very high I was told they only had the upper price rooms available like the king suites and felt I was mislead about the rooms availability and the overall price.The sheet had dried blood on it and had not been changed unfortunately it was not seen until the next morning when the lighting was better. The bathroom walls were covered in mold including behind and around the little mirror on the wall. The breakfast was luke warm and the waffle machine cooked gooey waffles so they were not eatable. When told about the room the next morning I was given a discount and coupon to help with my dissatisfaction and I appreciated that and the staff was very apologetic and I was not looking for any of that. I felt that they needed to be aware of this so it does not happen to another guest.

This may be the most amazing Best Western I've ever stayed. Granted, it's a Best Western Plus. But it's lodge-like design and feel juxtaposed to the world headquarters of Cabela's just made our stay great. Loved the indoor pool and hot tub. Great breakfast. Great room with "rustic" lodge-like appointments. Would go back in a heartbeat.

The entire staff were very friendly and very helpful. The room was great, bed was very comfortable. Room was especially clean and well stocked with clean linens, towels and toiletries. I would highly recommend this establishment.

We had selected the neighboring Hampton Inn for this stop during our pre-trip planning but didn't know about Best Western's $50 gift card for two stays in August so we stopped here instead. The Hampton Inn would have been $110 based on our internet search but we paid $140 for the Best Western. The room and common area are very nice, and the free hot breakfast was great. The hotel pool is indoor and was so cold that only my wife would stay in it (I used the hot tub instead).

This is a great hotel. Convenient to the Cabela's store and has about 5 restaurants with in walking distance. The people were also great and did not hesitate to ask you what they can do to make your stay better. The breakfast bar is stocked constantly, unlike most places where they run out of food and you have to go hunt someone down to replenish the items. Parking is ample.

The biggest plus to this Best Western Plus is that they are very dog friendly. There are plenty of grassy areas to walk your dog; they even provide doggy bags when you walk on the grounds. Other than this huge benefit to a traveler with a dog, this just seemed an average motel with an above average cost. It was extremely hot when I traveled across the Midwest and the halls and stairways are not air conditioned. I was on the third (top) floor per my request and there were only two carts for the entire hotel and no one knew where they were so I lugged my stuff up three flights of stairs. I am a senior citizen, but physically active, so it was not impossible, but certainly inconvenient. The screen windows in the room were extremely flimsy — a major concern if you have the windows open with dogs and/or young children in the room. The coffee pot in my room was too dusty to consider using. The staff was friendly, especially the janitorial and kitchen staff, and all wanted to meet my dog which is why I am likely to stay there again.

Friendly staff. Clean, comfortable rooms. Conveniently located. Cool decor in the lobby. Decent serve-yourself "continental-plus" breakfast. Big parking lot. Didn't use the pool but it looked good. The region got hit with an unexpected spring blizzard when I was driving through. The hotel staff was very accommodating, letting me stay a second night. They got right on removing the snow from the parking lot as soon as it stopped falling and blowing. Hotel is within walking distance of a couple of restaurants, which is nice.

We stay here almost every year while attending a family reunion. Only times we haven't is if the price is raised becasue of a local event. Staff was helpful, room was clean, amenities were in order. Discount at Perkins was an unexpected perk. The breakfast is worth quite a bit, being right on site with a wide selection of food!

Had a great stay there. Very clean hotel with a wonderful staff. We wanted to sit outside, so they allowed us to pull some chairs from the indoor pool to the back so we could relax and watch the geese fly over. Nice pond with a walking path that leads to Cabbala's. You get a 10% discount with your room key at the steakhouse next door. Great Sidney stop!

Warm welcome on a really warm day put us in a fine room. I had requested two beds, but somehow we ended up with a King. Complimentary water and popcorn in the room as a welcome! The TV remote was specially wrapped in order to be "fresh." What a concept! Air conditioning in the room was okay, although it seemed a bit warm during the night. Common areas--halls, lobby, breakfast area--did not seem air conditioned. As it was over 90 degrees, this made lingering inadvisable. Breakfast was okay, and an air conditioner was chugging away, making an early-morning meal possible. I would stay here again.

WOW! We were a group of 4 grandchildren and three adults. When we entered the suite the kids jumped with delight. The only problem with this rating system is we can't rate higher than 5 stars. Rooms were large and clean with every convince. Beds perfect. Screens great. Pool wonderful. Breakfast excellent. Good show, BEP.

We had our family reunion there this summer and the rooms, especially the suite were great. We loved the delicious (and complimentary - thank you!!) breakfast every morning and the gals who helped every morning were so nice and kept everything running smoothly. The front staff were outstanding and always so helpful and nice....a special thank you to Aaron, Kara, and Hannah and Chris! Every afternoon at the front desk was a nice dispenser of lemonade or cherry limenade and cookies (what a nice surprise and gesture - thank you!). And a big shout out to their wonderful manager, Matt, who helped me from start to finish with planning our family reunion there. He was always so, yes, Nebraska nice!! ;-) when I would call him and patient even when I made multiple changes over the months to our reservations. If he couldn't take my call, he would always call back in a reasonable amount of time. They were very accommodating with my slideshow I prepared and had everything out and ready on the day we used their very nice conference room. (The business center was a real plus as well). I loved how they had complimentary water and Nebraska popcorn in the rooms when we arrived. Anyway, I would highly recommend this hotel and thank you Matt for running a great place and having great staff!

Best Western Plus Sidney Lodge of Sidney, NE was, for our family group of four, a very pleasant first-class experience from the moment we entered the lobby until we checked out. The property really does look like a comfortable Lodge with nice rustic touches throughout the lobby. Our spacious two room suite included a very cool small kitchen, a table for four, a separate computer desk, handy plugins for recharging our electronics and comfy chairs in both the living area and the bedroom. All in all, it would be well suited to a several day stay with many of the comforts of home. Every staff member with whom we interacted was helpful and welcoming. I would gladly recommend this property to a friend passing through Sidney on I-80 and I will happily visit them myself at a future time.

Hannah at the front desk was extremely helpful and accommodating! (Even at 2am!) She went out of her way to get us some extra blankets and towels! She also was very entertaining to our kids and we couldn't be happier!

We stayed here a year ago and loved it, but things changed. The pool was murky, dirty and very cold, while the hot tub was very, very hot. We expected a microwave and fridge but didn't get one. The room was clean and the breakfast was very nice.

I was with a bunch of Harley Davidson riders I selected this motel , I often stay in motels and have had many experiences. This was good I was not disappointed. I would recommend it. Some of the others stayed a different motels and complained about their breakfast - coffee and quality of their rooms. The riders in my group had a great experience at this Best Western

Stopped here on our way to Colorado for a family vacation. Rooms were nice and clean. Breakfast was nothing special, but provided us with enough to to start the day on. Kids loved the rustic decor. Pool didnt open til 8 am which was a surprise, but was nice.

The Lodge looks and feels like the hotel that belongs in the same city as Cabelas HQ. If you are in Sidney, that is probably a consideration. Great decor, great rooms, and a reasonable hot breakfast! What more can you ask for here?

For the money I thought the rooms were very clean. The bed was very outstanding and we had a good night rest. I was concerned about not staying in a hotel that had bed bugs we researched. We were pleased to know that your hotel did not come up on a list. This hotel was very pet friendly!

We had a great stay. Every single person who works here went over and beyond to make sure we were happy. Jodi was especially helpful. We were welcomed to our extremely clean and comfortable rooms with popcorn and water. The hotel is located near several good restaurants and the very first Cabela's. We would love to stay here again sometime!

We really liked this hotel as well as the restaurant across the street that gives 10% discount for hotel guests. The outside design of the building matched the Cabela's theme of the area as it is located adjacent to the Cabela's corporate headquarters. Our room was very clean and we really liked the layout of the room. Convenient access to I-80 which is currently reduced to 1 lane along this part of Nebraska.

Close to major routes, restaurants and stores including Cabela's. Nice pool and lodge décor. Clean rooms and continental breakfast. Best hotel we stayed in for an almost 2 week trip. A pleasant surprise.

The hotel staff was very friendly. The beds were comfortable. The rooms were very dark and definitely need some updated lighting. I stayed 3 nights, only one day the room was cleaned. I really look forward to maid service and was quite disappointed when my room was overlooked. The breakfast was lacking but it was considered continental so overall ok, i suppose. The location is good.

1st time in a Best Western. Don't travel much. Really enjoyed our stay. Bed was very comfortable. Different pillows so you could choose the one you liked best (firmness). Enough covers to sleep comfortably in a cool room. Will definitely stay w/Best Western again!

Each staff member gave excellent customer service. You will not be disappointed if you choose this location. Breakfast service was lovely, and I wish I could remember the names of all the employees. Each and every one of them went above and beyond the call of duty and were cheerful which is an additional plus when you are traveling.

Nice place to rest and get rid of the road weary.Quiet clean bright room, hot shower, big fluffy towels. We walked to Cabelas just to say we had been there. There is a Perkins restaurant just across the parking lot and we had the best chicken pot pie. Ever. I bought 3 cookies and got 3 free. Special at the end of the day?Doesn't matter they were delicious. Our bed was very comfortable the pillows could be softer. Even though it was storming, we slept like logs. Nice breakfast in the am. Lots of choices.

The staff, service and quality of this hotel exceeded our expectations. We were driving on I-80 and needed a place to stay and were very happy with this choice. Breakfast choices were much better than most chain breakfasts -and the attendant was constantly being sure everything was fresh and available. The hotel also offers discounts for some surrounding restaurants, which was an added plus.

My daughter and I stayed for 2 nights. Everything was great there. The pool and spa were very nice. Only thing when it got dark we couldn't find a light anywhere. Our breakfast was good and hot. Had a tornado warning when we stayed there, the staff tookgood care of us.

Super comfy beds, pool/spa open until midnight, right off highway, easy in-out for trailers or large vehicles and wayyyyyy better breakfast than any other BW I've ever been to. Delicious breakfast sandwiches, fruit, cereal, tons of choices to be healthy and please little ones. Cute hotel inside and out. Would definitely stay here again!

We were exhausted when we arrived...but felt rested when we left. Nice staff at the desk gave us a good rate. Our room was so comfy with a nice chair and footstool, the bed and bedding were excellent even a cozy blanket to wrap up in to watch the news. It was so quiet you couldn't hear any other guests at all. The breakfast was way above the typical fare (which was all there) and included things like peanut butter, cheese slices, 2 kinds of gravy for the biscuits and 6 toppings for the waffles like chocolate chips, strawberries and chopped pecans. Plus the coffee was excellent! Highly suggest you stop here if you're in town.

Love this place. Professional, courteous, efficient and friendly staff. Super clean, wonderful bedding, terrific grounds. And they are pet friendly with a well maintained area for dogs and pet clean up station. The location is great, restaurants within walking distance (great burgers at Buffalo Point). You just can't go wrong here!

IT IS TRUE! This Best Western Plus Lodge in Sidney is probably the BEST B/W we've ever stayed at (& we have stayed in MANY B/W Motels.) The exterior is so fitting for the West with the Log Lodge Look. The breakfast is one of the best for us with SO many choice like Soy Milk or hot Salsa or really good fried potatoes. The bed was SO comfortable and I got a really GREAT night's sleep. The lobby even has a stuffed animal old west look. Tip: the store Cabela's was begun in Sidney, NE & there is a Cabela's only 3-4 blocks away from the lodge.

I was traveling with my family heading east on the 80. I called ahead to see about accommodations and rates. I spoke with Monica. (There's an accent mark in there over the "i.". Monica, please forgive me. I promised I'd write a review for you. It's been about 3 months, but I didn't forget!) Service was incredible. She set us up with a 2 room suite for a great deal. We had plenty of room for the kids, the pool was great, and breakfast was ready in the AM. Great travel stop for weary families! Thank you!

From the staff that checked us in to the staff you said goodbye after breakfast - everyone was so pleasant. The room was clean and everything worked. The breakfast was special due to the staff that served and kept all of the food hot and plentiful. Would stay here again.

Years ago when we first came this way we were SO excited to see a Brick and Mortar Cabelas...I think there was a Motel 6 and that was about all. Now the place is awash in motels and restaurants but we have finally had to admit that our Cabela days are pretty much over...no more back packing, camping, trekking...just too old. The Best Western Lodge was a very nice stop, the motel is clean, beds are comfortable and the staff are all welcoming and friendly. Not sure we'll be this way again but if we are we would not hesitate to choose this motel

This Best Western was sensational. The place was very clean and updated. The staff was very Friendly , professional and truly cared about me having a great stay. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who cares about a quality experience ..

We received a room at end of hallway on first floor, room was clean and nice, but bathroom needed a touch more attention, being close to the entrance door just outside our room made for a very long night with not much sleep. Children were running up and down hallway on second floor all the way till 10pm. Drunk couple at 3am being loud coming in entrance door sounded like they were coming into our room. Guest guide in room said pool was open at 6am but sign on pool door says 8am.

Stayed here on 2 different occasions for a work trip and both trips were for 5 days total. The hotel offers a good quality room at best western standards. They offer a basic breakfast (waffle maker, yogurt, cereal) and always have coffee down stairs. The lobby kind of has a cabin/rustic feel to it, but being next to Cabelas it is very ideal. The rooms are modern and the bathrooms basic. The service at the hotel was friendly on both the times I stayed at this property. I would deftinitley recommend staying at this hotel if you are traveling to Sidney. It is probably the best place to stay and there is not many hotels in the area.

We were traveling across country with two dog, our stay was perfect at the BW. We had stayed at another BW the night before as well. Both great were excellent. We would stay at BW where ever we go and they take dogs.

This location will go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Everything you would expect at a top of the line lodge. Very nice decor. Nice pool area, Breakfast was hot and ready plenty of room. The lobby felt very inviting and relaxed. I will make this a must stop and stay location on my trips out west.

I just recently stayed at the BEST WESTERN PLUS Sidney Lodge and all I can say is "Wow!" Check in was quick, room was super clean, modern, fresh towels and linens, large flat screen TV . . . . which was all very nice. Breakfast bar has something for everyone.

i would not stay in this motel again. I caught the Gm and the Supervisor in a room and things were looking a little frendly. I dont think this should be done like that in a work place and the housekeeper mary was very rude to me and my famiy... The motel itself was very nice and the breakfats lady was amazing and frendly...

We were completely amazed that the bed and pillows were the most comfortable we had ever experienced in all our travels. The main lobby is nicely decorated as a lodge. The staff was very friendly and breakfast was pretty good.

Outstanding hotel, service was great and rooms were super clean! Breakfast is convenient and you have to try the salsa in the crockpot! Tasty! I also want to commend the staff and breakfast service attendant on the cleanliness of the front breakfast lounge. The location is right off the highway and close to restaurants and big box stores.

Everything was great about our stay. Location was close to the interstate. Hotel staff is awesome. We were VERY pleased that the pool and hot tub were open until midnight and reopened again at 8am, one of our favorite ways to relax on trips. Free breakfast was very good and the staff stayed on top of it that is something ran out, they were right there to refill it. Very clean hotel and rooms. If need to be in that area again, would definitely return here!

The staff was extremely helpful and the room was well maintained. Usually hotel beds are hit or miss, this was a hit for sure, I think the bed was more comfortable than my bed at home - great stay, thanks Best Western Sidney.

I had to unfortunately come to town due to a funeral but Monica at the front desk turned my horrible travel day into a great experience. She was most kind and understanding and I just can't say enough about how wonderful the customer service was. The room is beautiful and clean. I would recommend it wholeheartedly and try to check in at night so you can see Monica. A+

The hotel is one of 2 near the famous Cabela's ...and this is reflected in the décor....it's sort of hunting lodge-ish with lots of wood and stuffed animals. The first thing to be noted is the staff are one of the best things about the hotel...from reception to cleaning/catering staff everyone is friendly and helpful. There was a fairly large upgrade of the lobby area taking place during my visit but at all times the level of dust and noise was kept to an absolute minimum. The room was large and spotlessly clean , The breakfast was kept warm and plentiful despite the fact that the normal breakfast area was closed. Pool and gym were fine.....a small quibble though....why 8am for the pool when the gym is open 24hrs and breakfast is served from 6.30? All in all ...an excellent small friendly hotel....would recommend it to anyone who is passing through Sidney!

Very clean hotel and helpful staff. Was there on business and will keep on going back again to this hotel when in town. The hotel staff was extremely friendly. I recommend this hotel to anyone. I mentioned that I loved the chocolate chip cookies that they put out every evening. Upon checking out they handed my a plate full of cookies!!!

booked room for daughters that were stranded by a storm after an emergency trip to Chicago. They were returning back to Utah when bad storm required them to stop. Called the Hotel and Amber was very helpful and courteous in getting a room for the daughters. They were stuck for two days due to the storm and they were very pleased with room, service, and staff. Tehy were very impressed with the decor of the main lobby

this place has my business when I'm Sidney way. convenient, clean, and affordable. I used to stay elsewhere but it only took 1 time at this location to win me over. I don't need to look any further. Next trip Sidney way. Its BEST WESTERN for me. Nice pool, Sauna, and a good hotel breakfast. THANKS !!!

This place was a wonderful surprise. Lodge-like entry with a fireplace and chessboard. Excellent breakfast. The reception from Monica was tremendous. A short walk to eating establishments that fit the bill. Highly recommended.

We have stayed here several times and have felt that the quality has gone downhill. There was trash in our room, the wallpaper was peeling and there were unclean places all over the bathroom. The price was much higher than other higher quality places that I have stayed, but that is probably because of the out in the middle of nowhere location. The breakfast is good, and the lady who is charge of it is very professional. The clerk that checked us in was one of the most unprofessional that I have been in contact with. The pool has an adult only time which was nice.

The rooms at clean and comfortable. The linen and blankets are soft and comfortable. Not skimpy and light. 4 soft pillows. And Monica went out of her way to make us comfortable. The price is better the the competition and the breakfast is hot and better than just muffins and other unhealthy garbage. A good rest stop on I-80

I stay in many hotels and have a hard time giving a hotel a 5star rating but this one deserves it clean updated room spotless bathroom, great Wi-Fi,nice TV, friendly staff and to top it off the cabin style look

We enjoyed out stay. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. It is very conveniently located. There was a Perkins Restaurant within walking distance. The room was very nice and clean, but the sheets of one bed did not fit correctly, which I am sure was an oversight. The breakfast was plentiful for a continental style setting. We would definitely recommend this location.

This was a great hotel, clean room, good breakfast, great staff. There was many places to eat close by and you could walk to Perkins. I would stay here again. The beds were clean and they even provided a couple of bottles of water and a bag of popcorn.

We stayed for one night at the BW Plus while ticking items off of our NE “want to see” tour and on our quest to check Mount Rushmore off the bucket list while we live within striking distance. The hotel has the “faux lodge” décor but, so does all of Sidney, home of the original Cabela's and there is just no escaping it while you visit the area. We landed the “executive suite” which is a larger room with a king bed. It is on the second floor and while larger and obviously with an updated remodel, the downsides are it's close to the elevator and the stairs and hovers over the morning breakfast buffet dining area, lethal if children are scampering about yelling while waiting for mom and dad to down their caffeine to prepare themselves for the day ahead. Positives: -Friendly front desk staff -Room clean -We don't “do” the breakfast buffets at hotels because I have many food allergies, but the BW looked like they put forth a worthy effort for a small town -Convenient location -Appears to have been recently renovated Detractors: -Expensive for the location and the quality of the property, they consider it a "tier 4" (not in my rating system!!) -Mismatched décor choices and some minor maintenance (e.g. caulking in bathroom) that needed attention, but nothing glaring -Room location, yet, our choice, we could have opted to move to a smaller and older room -LOUD geese and highway noise, not sure if this was only our room location, but worth inquiring at check-in because both persisted throughout the night -Beds are NOT comfortable

This review is filtered through the lens of the price. Remember folks, we are talking about Sidney Nebraska. The people are nice here and very hard working but a hotel here should not cost more than a major city or an area on the beach. The room is average frankly. I've stayed in hundreds of rooms like this for $100 less. Kind of strange, it has a armoire instead of a closet which isn't what I would expect from a room this price. Generic coffee instead of a top brand like Starbucks. There was dirt on the carpet, dead flies around the window, sheets put on backwards with black hairs on them, dirty caulk in bathroom. Sure these are all nitpicky things but again, $180? Now let me get to the breakfast. The eggs were so rubbery and obviously instant that they were inedible. Below average quality sausage. Plastic and paper bowls and plates with white plastic silverware. Instant oatmeal? $180 a night we should have fresh oatmeal and fresh eggs. No fresh fruit other than bananas. Coffee in paper cups. The workout facilities were sadly lacking. The room was small and very hot with low ceilings. Impossible to do chin ups with the chin up bar AT ceiling level. There was a weird off brand universal cable weight machine that I honestly could not figure out. There were 2 off brand treadmills and a stair master knock off. No yoga type rubber mats and not enough room to use them even if they provided them. No free weights. I went into the pool/hot tub room and the lights were off and I could not for the life of me figure out where the switch was so.... no hot tub for me. Pros: the workers at the hotel were friendly. With so many choices in area I'll be across the street next trip.

I drove to Sidney after a 2 day stay in Rapid City, I had stayed in a historic hotel in Rapid City that was awesome and myself being a hotel snob I to be honest, had low expectations for a best western. I was blown away by this hotel though. It was lovely. First of all the rooms are quite large. It was also pet friendly which was hard to find in Sidney Nebraska. The bed was comfortable and I slept like a baby. There was a large area that i could walk my dog and had a trash can for dog waste (i know that sounds like not a big deal but many hotels forget that). I usually stay in Hilton's and W hotels in larger city's and my trip through the western US was filled with hotels that I would not normally stay at but this hotel made me see that perhaps I am doing myself a disservice not looking into this chain at least. I would definitely stay at this hotel again if I was ever in the Sidney NE, area, the hotel staff was polite and even played with my small dog Bella and gave her treats. The hotel staff always smiled and said hello even the cleaning staff which in my experience never says hello anywhere! My only negative experience in the hotel was that they had a large deer head on the wall and what looks like a taxidermied bear. I prefer my wild animals alive and beautiful; I think its a bit distasteful however I also realize that this hotel is next to a large corporate hunting store, I believe Cabella's so I do get why they would have them. Bottom line; I felt safe, and snug in this hotel and would recommend it to anyone who was staying in the area.

Really liked the appearance of the of this hotel inside and out. It reminded me of a rustic winter mountain lodge. All the staff was very kind and friendly. They even had treats and bags for the pets. It was like a home away from home.

quality and comfort for a good price. I would stay here again anytime I was traveling through this area. The staff were friendly and very helpful as well. Beautiful lobby and clean comfortable rooms. Internet speed was excellent and the location was a plus as well.

I would definitely stay again at this hotel. The rooms were very nice, clean and updated. All staff was friendly and professional. I have traveled for business a lot recently and this was one of the best accommodations throughout the trip. I would chose for pleasure or business.

This is the nicest Best Western I have ever stayed at! It looks like a mountain lodge inside. The staff is all very nice, and the makes the stay even better. It is walking distance to Cabela's and a steak house that you get a 10% discount at if you show them your room key. I would definitely stay here again.

The Sidney Lodge was very clean, the food was good, the service was excellent and our room was exceptionally clean and it was a very pleasant stay. We would stay there again. We usually do try to stay at Best Western for the above reasons. Thank the people of Sidney for the friendliness, helpfulness and for an excellent place to rest two tired old bodies!!

This Best Western was nice and like other BWs accept pets, which is good, but they charge a higher pet fee than others and also have a higher rate for nightly stays. What makes Sidney so special they can get away with charging higher rates? The room was fine although I was told that the higher rate was because it was an "executive" room and as such was bigger than a regular room. The room size seemed pretty standard to me although it was clean, had a microwave and fridge, so maybe other rooms don't have them? Overall, the hotel was nice, had a lodgey feel and everyone was friendly. Could not access internet in the room. Breakfast is served in the lobby which is weird and seemed uncomfortable but since the breakfast offered was pretty unappealing, I skipped it and chose to find food elsewhere.

What terrific hotel accommodation we had in Sidney, NE at the Best Western Plus Lodge. Did not expect it to have the feel of a hunting lodge, but it did and the ladies at the front desk were "super" nice and accommodating to us. Our room was very nice, clean, comfortable and my husband enjoyed the hot tub while I did laundry. The hotel was next to the Cabela hunting store, which is awesome in itself and a "must" see if you are in Sidney, NE. Breakfast was filling and just the right selection for travelers. No complaint about this lovely lodge/hotel.

This is a PLUS hotel, which means they are a cut above other Best Western hotels'. I have stayed at numerous Best Western hotels and Sidney's PLUS is not reflected within the realm of the layout of the lobby and breakfast area. Thus, I would rate this hotel on a standard level. This hotel is overpriced for Sidney, NE. It's the easy on/off location of I-80 that drives the price higher. The breakfast area does not have its' own room; but, is in within the lobby as you first walk into the hotel. You find people checking in/out, while others are eating at tables. The only thing that divides the breakfast area from the front desk is an open staircase. The downside of this hotel is the lack of an enclosed breakfast room and their food selection.Within the breakfast area there was no offering of decaf coffee. You had to leave your table, walk across the open lobby and front desk, where guests were checking out, to fill your cup and spill some of it upon your return. No sausage patties, as served in other Best Western brand hotels. Only one variety of yogurt...strawberry. And...very limited seating. Because of the few number of tables (does not reflect enough seating for a hotel of this size) people had to carry their plates across the room, through guests walking in/out to their cars. Plus, the big screen TV was in the breakfast area, where you have to sit on hard chairs, and not in a location of more comfortable chairs and better viewing. Is this hotel deserving the rank of a PLUS hotel? I think not. On the plus side, the woman who ran the breakfast was fantastic...very attentive.

The hotel was clean, quiet. Breakfast had good variety and tasted good. Restaurants are close by. Bed was very comfortable. The room was very clean. There was a whirlpool in the room and I would have preferred it be in the bathroom instead. Overall an excellent hotel. Check in was fast with a very nice person. I would definitely stay there again.
