Best Western Plus Reading Inn & Suites

We stayed here for-1- night visiting family. Good hotel and good customer service. Very clean hotel and very close to everything. There is a restaurant in the parking lot. We have stayed here before a while back. We even saw a cat in the hotel room window.

We were in the King Whirlpool room for about 10 minutes before we asked for a refund. The hallway on the 1st floor smelled like cats, dogs, cigarettes and weed. The room was very dated and smelled horrible. But the reason why we left was the bugs! We killed 4 in about 7 minutes. They looked like roaches, but they were even on the bed. The staff was very nice about giving a refund though.

Breakfast was the best part. Our sink only had hot water. Every time we opened the microwave the tv shut off. Storm cigarette and pot smell in common areas. We didn't complain. Didn't feel like moving.

Hotel was a fair price and close to relatives. Breakfast was just ok. Staff was friendly and very accommodating to our requests. Allowed us to use the breakfast room in the evenings for family gatherings.

Our room was quiet & clean. The bed was comfy. We had plenty of hot water & towels. The room was spacious & well equipped with just about every amenity you could possibly want or need. The front desk associate was friendly & cheerful. Check in was easy. The breakfast provided was just ok.

Odor in the pet friendly room. Rusty hole in the ceiling over the window. Very small breakfast area. Front desk staff friendly. Maintenance man apparently leaves his car in the shade at the entry way, making it hard for guests to enter.

Close enough for amenities of the area, the 4 story hotel was quiet, adequate breakfast, gym and outdoor pool. Price was reasonable. Easy in and out of area by highway. Area had many restaurants(diner in front of the hotel), shopping for essentials, even a Lowe's.

The hotel is right on a main drag, but you cannot hear any road traffic in the hotel. The hotel staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Beds were comfortable, with lots of pillow options. The front desk staff recommended The Beverly Hills Restaurant which was a lot of fun!

Looking for a place to relax & chill out this place has it. Great rooms, fitness center, pool, excellent breakfast & the best staff. If you're an antique hunter this is the heart of an antique world. Try it….you'll be glad.

Staff were very nice and accommodating. Traveling alone as a female, I was nervous but I felt save the whole time. The shower had a thick ring of black mold around the drain, so I avoided showering. The Jacuzzi was clean and in great condition.

We stay at the location multiple times throughout the year due to convenience. This last time we visited we got a nice clean room, breakfast was good, and the fitness center had our favorite workout machine the elliptical. This has been one of the few enjoyable stays at this location. Thank you staff keep up the great work and we will be back in the near future.

Title says it all. Definitely felt like a mostly clean and well kept hotel. The rooms were nice and cool. The showers took a bit of time for the water to run at the proper temperature. But other than that the room was very nice. Very average as far as hotel rooms go. I feel as though the price ranges are a bit steep for the quality you get. But the staff were all very helpful and friendly and I could see them making up for it.

Really nice hotel! They have a hot breakfast every morning. They are located near Reading, Pottstown and are conveniently located where you can easily access the interstate and get where you need to go. They are pet friendly and have plenty of space for your dog to get out and run around a little.

Breakfast consisted of making your own pancakes, juice, make-your-own yogurt parfait, scrambled eggs, sausages, hash browns, toast, bagels, and fruit. They have an outdoor pool that my daughter used however there were no hours posted as to when it could be used. One of the elevators was rather creaky which made me nervous.

Nice Location, Plenty of parking, Welcoming Staff and overall great experience, Breakfast with Touchless machine Pancakes and a good options of Breakfast items and closed to 1 st Energy Stadium and lot of shopping places nearby

Quality was way below expectations for 3 star rating. Multiple issues from cleanliness to functionality of amenities. Just over all not what I expected. This location is not up to par with best westerns name. Could be due to construction but multiple issues not related directly to construction.

Although work was being done to upgrade hallways and doors, it never interfered with our pleasant stay at this well run Best Western. Breakfast is always well stocked and restocked promptly. And if their breakfast isn't what your looking for, a short walk across the parking lot brings you to a great diner. Spotless rooms, everything in working order and quiet nights sleep in very comfortable beds. This continues to be our place to stay when in the Reading area. Be sure to ask for any applicable discounts you might be eligible for. Rates have risen.

We stayed here last night visiting friends. Very clean room. Very nice hotel. I was surprised to see a dog in the hotel. Decent breakfast. We have stayed here before several times. Very easy check in. Very close to everything. Very nice property.

Just that I could have saved over $50 if I would have purchased the room online using Priceline. I thought they would match the price since I explained that if I were to have purchased online just 15 mins prior, as I was sitting in their parking lot I could have saved. Disappointed because I needed to check in after midnight and leave before 11am.

We needed a hotel in the reading area that had a king bed and breakfast. Reasonably priced. We stayed in the Hershey Lancaster property many years ago and had a good experience. We remember the awesome breakfast. This property was clean and adequate for our needs. The room had a sofa which increased the size of the room. Breakfast was adequate. Meaning a bagel, fruit and drink. Buffet. Clean. Don't expect a thing fancy. The best part was the location. On the main drag. Convenient to everything. Will stay there again.

WHERE DO I START. FIRST OF ALL OUR 4 NIGHT STAY WAS PART OF OUR HONEYMOON JUST PASSING THROUGH. PLEASE NOTE WE HAVE STAYED AT THIS PROPERTY ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS ALONG WITH MY FAMILY FROM NEW YORK AT LEAST 3 ROOMS AT A TIME. WE REQUESTED A HANDICAPPED ROOM FOR MY WIFE WHO HAS A DISABILITY., WHEN WE OPEN ED THE BATHROOM THERE WERE 2 TOILET BOWLS. ONE DIRECTLY UNDER THE SHOWER. SHE HAD ABOUT 4 FEET TO TAKE A SHOWER WHEN SHE TURNED AROUND SHE HIT HER BACK ON THE TOP OF THE TOILET BOWL. WE FOUND OUT THE TOILET BOWL WAS NOT ATTACHED. WE NEVER WERE ABLE TO ENJOY THE TV BECAUSE WE HAD NO SERVICE. THE TOILET BOWL OVERFLOWED 3 TIMES INCLUDING THE MORNING WE CHECKED OUT. THE DID NOT CARE. WE HOPED THE GM WOULD AT LEAST OFFER US PART REFUND FOR THIS NIGHTMARE, IT TOOK THE MAIN OFFICE IN ARIZONA TO CONVINCE THE MANAGER TO REFUND US 100.00, IMAGINE THIS FOR A HANDICAPPED PERSON. 100.00 DOLLARS.. SAVE YOUR MONEY, DO NOT GO TO THIS DUMP, THEY ARE NOT THE SAME PEOPLE THAT USED TO RUN THIS HOTEL. THE GM WILL NOT EVEN ADDRESS THE PROBLEM OR AT LEAST OFFER YOU SOME COMPENSATION. THE OFFICE WILL AVOID YOU AT ALL COST LIKE THEY DID WITH US..DO NOT KNOW ABOUT ANYBODY ELSE BUT MY WIFE IS WORTH MORE THEN 100.00 THE TOILET BOWL WAS REMOVED AFTER SHE GOT HURT. MY MISTAKE WE SHOULD OF FILED AN ACCIDENT REPORT.

The room was clean and spacious. All the appliances, etc., worked well. They have a good breakfast, although the breakfast area was quite crowded. The building and grounds are well-maintained. The staff was helpful. Smokers seem to hang out in the parking lot.

A/c and heat unit could not be used because of the thick dust you could see inches thick inside the vents, if turned on it would have been all through the air and smelled. Comforters stained and dirty. Sinks drain hole had black mold you could see when using the mirror. So filthy I feel nauseated and itchy!

Stayed for 3 nights to attend a class reunion and visit family. Room was spacious and clean, nice big TV, AC was nice and cold. Only negative was only one elevator working and place full due to NHRA weekend at Maple Grove. Breakfast was very nice, good selection.

Came to Reading area for a quick trip. Hotel provided a nice and quiet place to sleep for the night at a decent price. Front desk staff was friendly upon checking in and out. Highly recommend this hotel and will visit again.

Not sure what to expect based on price. We paid $179 for the night when other hotels averaged $250 or up. Room was clean, staff friendly and a continental breakfast included. Free parking, wi-fi and pool. Breakfast included, toast, bagels, pancakes, waffles, scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns, cereal, fruit etc. Beds were comfortable and A/C was good in our room. We also had mini frig, microwave and cable TV.

I would absolutely recommend this hotel. The breakfast was excellent with many choices. Bible in the room was also great. Pleasantly surprised all around. Price was also better than hotels nearby. Very well maintained property.

Was skeptical about staying here because of the bad reviews when I checked months ago I've never been to a bad Best Western. The only review that was true is that they are under staffed but they make it work. I'd definitely stay again if I'm in the area

The experience was great! Everything was nice and clean. The beds were really comfortable and cozy. The breakfast was really good and everything was well organized. They had coffee, juice, milk, eggs, waffles and sausages.

our recent stay at best western was as all previous stays a very nice relaxing stay. the staff was very helpful and friendly best western is the place my wife and i will continue to stay.the rooms are always clean.

My recent stay over the weekend made me very unhappy with the pool. It appeared that NOT guests were using the pool. Smoking, drinking and using weed. Someone was supposed to be checking visitors did not ask for room numbers just roamed around and joined thenpot smokers. This is not a family hotel it's a hangout for the locals. Also very noisy

Our stay at this inn was once again a pleasant experience and a good value. Staffing situation was much improved, and all services were being offered. As always, the rooms are clean and well kept, and the breakfast service is more than adequate for our needs. It remains our 1st choice for lodging when we visit the area.

Constant problem with the smell of smoke! Loved to 3 rooms and still had an issue. With heart and lung issues, would not recommend this hotel!! I had to use my inhaler the whole time! Clothes smelled like smoke. Complained numerous times, nothing done!! Never staying at this hotel again!

Overall nice hotel; rooms are clean and the area is quiet. It is also located where getting access to shopping and other attractions is easy. If you travel with a pet, there is room to take them out for a walk and they even provide pick up bags for you. There is an outdoor pool and extra towels are provided for the pool area.

Clean and welcoming environment...Staff is very accommodating. No sanitizing wipes in the exercise room to wipe down equipment before or after usage. There's sufficient breakfast available, but limited vegan options.

The hotel is relatively clean and nice if you're just staying over night or maybe a day or two. There were issues that were probably not being addressed due to the hotel being obviously understaffed. The elevators need to be serviced (broken buttons, one of the elevators was stuck on the 3rd floor for nearly an hour). I told the man working at the desk that the comforter in my room had cigarette burns on it. He said OK, but didn't offer to send up another comforter or anything. Other than the burn marks on the comforter, the room was clean and everything was in good working order. The breakfast was good, typical hotel breakfast offerings, but the staff kept everything full and fresh. They have very good coffee. The hotel isn't far from First Energy Stadium, which is one of the reasons we chose to stay there.

I would hesitate going here. Vending machines not working, no access to water. It was very noisy all night long. Food was ok, if you had access to it. There was a baseball team there so it was over crowded.

This hotel is amazing ! Very clean , smells good , everything has been updated. The pool is nice and clean , amazing staff . We stood for a week and the people at the front desk were super nice when it came to needing more trash bags and towels ! Definitely will be staying here again !!

We chose this hotel because of (1) location, as it's not too far from the Reading Airport, for the World War II Weekend, and (2) for a reasonable price. Positive things: very comfortable king bed; clean surfaces in room; free Wi-Fi; free breakfast with a variety of choices; all personnel were polite. Negative things: small bathroom, with no sink; toilet didn't flush properly; slow Wi-Fi; love seat covered in what felt and sounded like thick plastic. And no one came to clean the room until very late in the afternoon, when we were back and trying to relax, I assume from staffing issues.

property as a whole is ok, if a bit run down. could use some more renovations. room was clean, but definitely musty and my allergies were awful. everything worked ok, but toilet was running a bit.what concerned me most,was my friend stayed on another floor and killed a bedbug in his room. this freaked me out for the rest of my stay,but i did a thorough check.property was decent, but dont know that i'd stay there again

It was a great hotel. Very clean, spacious, staff was professional and friendly. Ample parking and there is a diner/restaurant next to the hotel. Location was great so if you needed something, you didn't need to travel far.

I was apart of a group in town for a youth softball tournament. Upon pulling into the parking lot, the first thing we saw were liquor bottles sitting on the windowsills of several (more than 5) room windows that face the parking lot (as if they were on display). After that we were greeted by a few transients loitering in the parking lot. When checking in, there were two fans at the front desk, as well as industrial fans in every hallway. This was due to the smell of cigarette and marijuana smoke being so overwhelming. I know many hotels have a faint or stale smell of smoke, but this knocks you in the face. So much so that one person in our party needed to use her rescue inhaler. At this point, the police made their first arrival. Between 4 pm and 7 am, the police were there a minimum of 4 times, just that we saw, and a police officer was overheard stating to a guest "there's nothing I can really do if she's breathing (alluding to an overdose type situation). On the fourth floor where our block was, we saw what were clearly, without a doubt, prostitutes and "johns." I would guess that at least 50% of the hotel's occupancy are residents who live there full time, not actual hotel guests. The "residents" freely smoke (cigarettes and marijuana) wherever they please. The residents screamed and yelled all night long (literally all night until 6 am). One room in our block had blood on the sheets, one had a penis drawn on the wall, one had missing TV cords, and another had cigarette burns on the comforter. Between the constant police visits, drugs, and prostitutes, this was by FAR the most dangerous and worst hotel stay of my life. This "hotel" is no better (probably worse) than most "pay by the hour" roadside motels. It was unsafe and disgusting.

The room was very comfortable and clean with the exception of the odor. The smell of marijuana was so strong that I could taste it and it hadn't dissipated any throughout the night. It left me with a headache. Reported the smell to reception on our way out so they could clean it before the next guests and they basically said that wouldn't be happening because they would have to deep clean the carpets and drapes, etc. Other than that, it was a nice place.

Hotel was disgusting. I would recommend staying in your vehicle before staying here. This is essentially a pay by the hour type of hotel. Lots of full time "residents" of this hotel, displaying liquor bottles in their windows (that you see from the parking lot), we saw what were clearly prostitutes and Johns. The entire hotel REEKS of pot and cigarette smoke. The permanent residents openly smoke as if it was their own home. Deplorable. Our group had rooms with "male anatomy" drawn in the bathroom, blood on sheets, dirty socks left over from a previous guest, etc.

A clean, comfortable stay. We go back for the breakfast time and time again! The room felt cozy. I prefer the third floor over the second. It seems quieter. For a reasonable price, you get a nice room and an amazing breakfast!

Breakfast items ran out. Room was not totally clean. In particular tub/shower and toilet. Room temperature was not easy to regulate with the wall unit heating/cooling system. Staff did not really address any of the issues.

great location, very close to everything, very clean hotel, very clean room, didn't interact much with front desk hotel staff, didn't partake in the free hotel breakfast, ample parking, there was a dinner in front of the hotel, although it wasn't open when we were there, great price, we would probably stay here again

We stayed here last weekend to attend a nearby concert. Once I found it (behind a restaurant off of the highway) and got in, check in was easy. The lobby looks nice and inviting, not a lot of junk, but this property is dated. It may have been a Choice Hotels building before, and was taken over by Best Western. Anyway, there was a breakfast which is a plus anymore, and it had hot foods, just not enough. The hallway carpets are very old and (to my eye) dirty. I asked the check in clerk if there was a computer I could use to look something up, and his answer was, "If you want something printed, I can do that. Just email it to me". I said "So, there's no computer here for me to use?" Answer, "No." Later that night hubby asked someone else and there is a business center with two computers and a printer right behind the front desk! I wonder sometimes what these people hear. The room itself was pretty nice, except for hubby didn't care for the shower. He told me that it was "old". I had a shower myself and found it alright except for being very slick on the tub floor. The towels were fine. The room door had an old chain "lock". Ewww. The beds were comfy and it was quiet at night, so there's that.

I have come to expect my stays at Best Western properties to be excellent, and this was no exception. Clean, comfortable room, easy check in, and a good hot breakfast. I'd have no problem staying here again in the future.

The whole hotel smelled like stale cigarettes. The elevator made a pretty creepy sound and the doors slammed shut. It was actually quiet at night no noise. If the rooms got aired out and steam cleaned it would not be a bad place.

Older Hotel with very large rooms. All the in room amenities including a safe. Breakfast had everything, scrambled eggs, hash browns, sausage links, toast, bagels, cereal, and excellent waffles. Everything was clean.

Place needs to be updated. No carpets anymore. Especially in pet rooms. Floor was never swept or vacuumed. Glad i brought my slippers. Brkfst was good. The guy who worked in the kitchen/food area had a fabulous personality.

The hotel smelled like an ash tray, I complained to the front desk person but he said he didn't smell anything obviously never leaves his station but all the hallways smelled like a smoking convention was held in there. The smell was leaking into my room so I used a towel to block the smell. I had to wake up the morning desk person to check out. They have a great free breakfast. The back side of the hotel has quieter rooms, the front rooms face noisy Lancaster Pike. The Deluxe Restaurant in front of the hotel has excellent inexpensive meals, and serves beer and wine. Turn right as you exit and stop in to Tom Sturgis Pretzels factory store for some excellent and inexpensive snack foods for you journey.

When I taking elevator to my floor I noticed garbage and soil towels was outside some of the rooms.i thought that looked very disgusting. I also experience ants in my room 203 in bathroom and one in my bed which I didn't notice until the next day after sleeping in bed. I immediately took pics and went down to talk to management, which no manager was there. I told young man at desk my concerns and even showed him pics I had taken but nothing was said to be done at that time. Everything else was okay except that issue.

I always use BW when I stay in the area; I like the location because it is quiet and peaceful. Additionally, quality shopping and restaurants, including a local house of worship are all easily within reach.

In comparison to the costs of surrounding hotels, this was a value. By no means high end hotel, but not roach motel either. If you are value minded and enjoy a pleasant staff, then i would recommend this location.

Since we didn't travel in 2020, two years had passed since our last stay at this hotel. Thankfully, even as Covid-19 was still affecting staffing, no decline in service, cleanliness or attitude was apparent. The people at this BW do their best to make your stay enjoyable.

Bad sevices not one time did anyone clean room take trash out seen other room put in hallway so that's what we did.had to go to front desk for clean towels and toilet paper. They should of left me no pool was closed had my grandkids with and they were not happy.

This hotel was by far the worst I have stayed in. The room and hallways smelled awful. It was not very clean overall and there was visible damage in the room as well as the hotel itself. I had to purchase room deodorizing spray to make it tolerable after the front desk and housekeeping did nothing. At 8am on Sunday morning a staff member opened the door to our room and argued with me about the fact that the room should have been vacant according to his list. Plus the internet was spotty, working only in certain spots in the room.

The whole hotel smells of cigarette smoke. The three nights we were there house keeping never appeared in our room, I had to take out trash, take out used linen, and go to front desk each night to get clean linen. If I wanted to do all this I would not of paid over a $100.00/ night. I would have gone camping.

Entire hotel hotel reeked of cigarette & pot smoke!! We had a bad feeling when we pulled up to hotel and there were several groups of people standing out front that seemed drunk & high and garbage cans out front were spilling over with trash. We would have considered going to another hotel but b/c of tournaments in the area all rooms were full. Front desk moved us to another room after first one smelled liked marijuana, had bugs on wall, sticky floors, and hairs on sheets but second one reeked of cigarette smoke, also had hairs on sheets, crumbs and all manner of disgustingness on mattress pad, tv didn't work, gross liquid in microwave, filthy walls, and several outlets didn't work. Paid $150 (with discounts) but should have been more like $50 motel price. The only positive our family could find was the complimentary hot breakfast which included French toast, sausage patty, hash browns, and scrambled eggs. You couldn't pay me enough to stay in this hotel again. Definitely feel like we should get our money back on this one! Our family had trouble sleeping because the smell was so bad and we were worried we would get bed bugs.

This was was ok, not sure I would recommend. We made reservations on hotels.com and requested 2 adjoining rooms and needed to be pet friendly. (I have a small 17lbs dog) after making the reservation we also called so the adjoining rooms and pet could be confirmed. We were told no problem. When we got there they had nothing on file. Nothing noted from our call. We ended up with 2 non adjoining rooms. The bed was clean as was the bathroom. However it smelled really musty and the carpet was damp in one room. We found bits of “fuzz” all over the place like the vacuums did not work. We had driven 10 hours and didn't have energy to complain.

We were booked for one night only and didn't even stay. We arrived at 5:00. The room was not ready. Am we had to wait briefly. The room REEKED OF cigarette smoke. So badly it stayed in my nose for hours after leaving. My husband lifted a laminated paper off the table and was swarmed with fruit flies. My son would not remove his mask it smelled so bad and my daughter didn't even want to sit on the bed because the room felt so Grundy. There was a cop in the lobby when we arrived. I didn't think anything of it as we are from NYC. But his presence didn't sit well with my hubby because the place felt a little shady. When we returned from a graduation dinner we were greeted by 3 police cars in the parking lot. There had been an incident while we were out. After all this we left and drove back to NY. I didn't expect too much from the hotel when I booked it but I didn't think it would be so bad.

The price is way too high to not have your room cleaned but one time in two weeks. The sink was plugged, and the entire hotel smelled of marijuana. The floor was dirty. The manager got upset when our job was shortened and raised our rates. I could have paid much less for a room of this quality.

we were in town for an event , booked this motel, the diner adjacent to motel was fantastic , pleasant front desk, comfortable beds . I liked the lotion, shampoo, conditioner and soaps nice lemony scent

Greeted with a smile and very friendly person at the front desk. Room was very clean. They had a grab and go type breakfast but I did not use it as I had breakfast plans. Hotel seemed very safe during the Covid pandemic. Would recommend staying here.

Orderd 1king bed room .I was alone. Got keys to a 2 queen bedroom. Smh..then was told 50 hold fee that's not on my receipt smh . Then the internet was down for the night. Bit upset there .no sink in the bathroom ewww

We stay here 2-3 times a year when we come to visit family. It is consistently clean and the staff is always friendly and helpful. Itis conveniently located near restaurants, shopping and highways. The rooms are comfortable and I can bring my dog.

Check in was easy, rooms immaculate, would stay here again. Access was easy to enter. Had a restaurant nearby to eat meals. Excellent quality . Gave a discount , due to family funeral we were traveling to

The room was a smoking room wit a jacuzzi and a king size bed the bed was sooo soft it was amazing I would pick this room again. I would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends....it was ver relaxing

I was hoping for very little and am not particular. Just a clean place to sleep for the night. Apparently that is a difficult thing to ask for. As soon as I opened the fridge there was someone's water there. I started to quickly lool at the rest of the room. The outside of the fridge had some sort of liquid (water?) mark running down it at the handle, the table by the bed had thick built up rings on it, the blackets had stains or fresh muck on them (not sure if they were even washed.) The hvac in the room gave us all allergies and thr carpet feels gross. They can't serve breakfast cause 'covid' but apparently a dirty room is just fine. Will never stay at a best western again.

With more than one police officer surrounding the hotel it was a terrible experience. I thought either there's some one dangerous in the building they're looking for Who could harm any one making me scared to pace my room or just waiting to harass some one trying to have a good time. This hotel doesn't need stars for rating it needs police badges... 5 full badges for the next best thing to a police station. I thought I was suppose to feel comfortable in a hotel I pay good money for not unsafe and scared. Never again. I'd rather stay at the Klein motel and that's saying something FYI.

Have stayed many times from mar-now. Love staying here. Jesse is amazing and nice and always friendly and always helpful. We never have any issues. Definitely gonna continue to stay there. Highly recommend.

Checkin/out went well. More could be done with Covid 19 precautions but hotel appeared clean Bagged b'fast was a nice touch. Clientele needs to be screened better. Was awake from 1130p-2am with screaming & shouting of foul language, fist fights with crashing furniture and downright scary behavior from other guests. When we complained to front desk, we were verbally abused by said guests. Mentioned to front desk clerk in am who said she asked them to be quiet several times, not sure why more wasn't done to evict them. Area seemed safe & 2 things I look for are cleanliness & how comfortable I feel by my surroundings. Never have a been more frightened staying at a hotel & with seemingly disregard for my safety

At just a bit over 80 dollars a night, this was quite a good value. I had no issues booking with short notice either. The staff was friendly and the building was clean. Overall, if you need to get to anywhere in Reading, this is a convenient location to stay. Shillington is a nice area overall and you aren't far from US 222.

Really enjoyed our stay. The room was very clean. The staff was pleasant and went the extra mile for us. Great value! Could not ask for more. This will be my first choice, next time I'm in the area and require lodging.

Excellent hotel. Friendly, very helpful staff. Extremely clean rooms. Cleaning staff was friendly and extremely helpful. Great breakfast!! Helpful to have a refrigerator and microwave! The fold out sofa in our rom was apleasant surprise!!

We were on our way to Florida and had Best Western points to use and found this little gem of a Best Western in Shillington, PA. Great service, excellent room, all things worked great. Since we were travelling, we didn't have a chance to really enjoy the amenities. But the King room we had was huge as was the bathroom with it's half glass shower. A/C worked great. Bed was comfy and internet was also a great speed.

We also stop here midway between Horsham PA and Lancaster Pa when we make plans for certain resteraunts. It is located near Adamstown also where there are plenty of antique shops in the area. TThis hotel is very accomdating in regards to check in time as well and will do their best to honor your request.

Only stayed one night but it was good rest the staff was very helpfull as we had arrived some time before the check in Tim yet they let us check in a little earlier with no aditional cost the breakfast was decent

Quick and efficient check in. Room was large and comfortable. Also very quiet. Lots of free parking available. Breakfast room was on the small side but didn't have a problem. Very well maintained breakfast room with a good number of choices. Definitely recommend this place.

Front desk very courteous & efficient. Jessica who helped with the breakfast buffet was very sweet & helpful! I had my 10 week old grandson with me and she was very kind to assist me. Housekeeping was terrible!!! I stayed 3 days and my room was not serviced. I had to ask for towels, daily. I had to go to the front desk for trade bags and empty my own trash. This hotel has A LOT of locals who stay here on a weekly basis. Had I known this, I would have stayed elsewhere. I did not feel safe here. These guests were loud and confrontational. Guest in first room next to elevator on 2nd floor had a lot of angry outbursts and staff attempted to calm them. Guest near our room left his children unattended in hallway. The smell of marijuana was strong outside his door. When I voiced my concerns he stated “I stay here all the time, everyone knows my kids & they're fine” He indicated he was not doing drugs in front of his kids. I feel this is accurate as I mentioned, they were left unattended in the hallway. We were approached in the parking lot, asked for “smokes and/ or dope” One night; a man went up & down the hallway knocking on doors, yelling “GIVE ME YOUR MONEY” I have reached out to the manager several times; he has not returned my calls.

This hotel is tucked back and away from the road and provides very comfortable accommodations for travelers. Ample breakfast options, clean rooms - most having been recently remodeled, make for a nice experience while traveling.

The hotel was an ideal location for me as it was equally positioned between the two places I was working. However, it is not very close to a variety of restaurants or shopping. The facility is very clean, but a bit on the dowdy side. I enjoyed the hot breakfast, especially the sausage patties.. I will more than likely return to this hotel when I travel to Reading in the future.

We greatly enjoyed staying at this hotel. Staff were great and we had no problems during our week long stay. It felt good hvaing a home base for the week and not have to worry about anything AND, the price was right. They made their home, our home for the stay.

The incident involved a mad man banging on the door and not saying anything for 10 minutes. We were petrified. My husband finally told the intruder( without opening the door) that we were calling the cops and then the hooligan said that it wasn't the room that he was looking for The hotel did nothing to control the sdiuation and didn't even bother to acknowledge the incident. We had to bring it up to their attention the next morning. It was one of the scariest minutes of my life!

This hotel would have been great except for the light. The pool was directly beneath our window. It is fenced in and it was closed and covered for the season, yet it was lit up for night usage. Why? That light bothered us all night, coming in around the curtains. Staff was fine. Shower was fairly good and breakfast was the usual. Coffee was better than most places.

Trip Advisor list this hotel as having smoking rooms. It does not. The hotel responded directly . It only has an outside space which allows for smoking. It should not be listed as a "smoking friendly establishment."

My room was spotless and quite. The area felt safe. The employees were friendly. There was a diner in the parking lot which was convenient. The breakfast room was well kept and well stocked. The internet was fast for my needs.

Only hotel available in the area. Employees are always the best. Rooms are very well kept. Breakfast is clean and nice. Workout room sucks. Need to get a card and sign for the outdated facility.Individual room doors are allowed to slam HORRIBLE. People on vacation and away from home have no idea that others are sleeping. Hotel needs to understand that their doors are loud if not assisted in a silence closing. The constant 5 am. KA BANG wake up call is unacceptable.

My bathtub was backing up with other people's dirty water during the length of my stay. Kim at the Front Desk (who was GREAT!) tried to move me into the only other available room (there was one other room but it was a smoking room) and when I opened the door, I was hit in the face and eyes with airborne debris that I initially thought was dust. However, as I inspected the room, it became apparent that there was visible mold growth on all of the wood furniture; ironically enough, I was staying there while attending a Mold Remediation Certification Class. The Facilities personnel were not surprised at all by my encounter, but only that the affected room was on the 2nd floor, as they "only have mold issues on the 1st floor." It is apparent that there are plumbing and mold issues at this location on an ongoing basis, but does not seem that Mgmt takes them seriously and addresses the real problems; ex. Housekeeping and Facilities Staff are not qualified to remediate recurring mold issues... Major health concern...

Booked this hotel for a weekend away with my husband for our first anniversary. Stayed in a jacuzzi suite and definitely was not disappointed! Room was nice, bed and pillows were very comfortable. We will definitely return.

Family of 3 stayed for a few nights while visit family. Good: had a pool for my son to swim in, breakfast was decent. Bad: A/C smelled like body odor, WiFi was terribly slow, beds lumpy, many outlets and lamps in room didn't work, smoke alarm battery died at 4AM one night (we tried twice to replace the battery ourselves but had to call maintenance), pool was outdoors and an unusual blue color and my son got a rash after swimming in it. I recommend choosing another hotel.

Place was reasonable price, room was nice. Bathroom very small. Staff friendly. Breakfast was ok. Sliding door to balcony wouldn't open. Bathroom knob was broken. Wifi very slow. A good place st the price. Perfect for an stop over.

The place is clean enough. The service is OK. The price is very good. So my stay was OK. The WiFi is terribly slow. The hotel is pretty close to a few restaurants, both very nice and just average. Overall, an IK stay at a good price.

Great choice for area attractions like Dutch Wonderland--yes, you have to drive a bit, but the price and quality exceed many of your other options. Felt very welcome upon check in. From the outside this hotel looks old and worn but once you go in it's rather nice. Cute little breakfast area. Lots of options for the complimentary breakfast in the morning. Coffee available 24/7. Hallway, elevator, and room were very clean. Staff was very pleasant. This hotel gets four stars, however, because the room had a strong musty smell, the pillows are practically tiny squares instead of traditional rectangle shape, and the sink was in the main room instead of the bathroom with the shower and toilet which I always find inconvenient.

Marijuana being smoked freely in the building and could smell it in the rooms. Nothing was done about it. As the night wore on the noise level increased. Will not be staying in this hotel again. Steer clear

My best friend and I took my daughter on a bday getaway the staff was great, nice pleasant and helpful, the rooms were clean we didnt have to ask for anything, close range to food places shopping centers not far from Dutch Wonderland or the ifly place we took her too. They have a nice outdoor pool my baby used and I have no complaints at all breakfast was good if u want bacon go early lol. We had a great experience overall. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The rooms are clean and relatively modern. I'm not sure if the weekend we chose was an exception, but breakfast accommodations left much to be desired. Seating was scarce but food was decent. We couldn't use the pool, even though it was a main reason for booking. Again, not sure if the weekend was an exception or whether it's always that populated. Our tub backed up for a little while and had small cracks in its floor. Bathroom/plumbing is in need up an update. Overall, it's not a bad hotel for the price in the area. We would not be opposed to staying again in we would be in the area.

The king room was clean and had refrigerator/microwave with a sofa. The breakfast had many choices, eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, potatoes, waffles, oatmeal, yogurt, fresh fruit, pastries, bagels, cereal, juice and coffee. Nice outdoor pool. Would definitely stay here again when in the area.

Curtains and duvet on bed were wrinkled and cheap-looking at this particular property. Sink was draining extremely slowly. Extra row of electrical outlets on one side of the bed only. Bed was very comfortable and maintenance issue was resolved quickly. Mustang cars took up nearly all parking spaces, making it difficult to accommodate my disabled husband.

I have been going to the Carlisle Ford Nationals and American Muscle Car Shows since 2014, I also make trips to Florida and to several States in the West.. I usually stay at Best Western when ever I can. You receive the highest quality in service and in friendliness from staff.

The rooms were spacious and equipped with a nice TV. Rooms were quiet and clean. The breakfast bar was plentiful and the service from the staff was great. Would stay here aqain if I was in the area. Good price.

Would recommend this Motel highly. Staff was very friendly and accommodations were comfortable. Breakfast was good, rooms were clean and comfortable. Location was excellent for the purpose of my trip and amenities were what was expected for this location. Pretty central to all destinations but not in an over crowded area of this city which made it more enjoyable.

Check in staff was rude, housekeeping was rude, breakfast was not refilled, check out staff was rude, rooms were clean, price was ggreat, but I did ask for first floor when I made the reservation and was told they would accommodate me but not when I checked in, I was told I had to take the 2nd floor

We enjoyed our stay. Room was clean and quiet. Good size fridge and microwave. Included breakfast was excellent. Nice to see bare wood floors instead of carpeting that never seems to be clean. Staff was all very courteous and helpful.

This location is as good as it gets for Reading, PA and the vicinity. Very clean and well tended place. The room was comfortable and that includes the great BW king bed. Front desk was very helpful. Was not particularly pleased with the cleaning crew. I put up a do not disturb sign on my door only to be awakened rather early the next day to the ruckus of conversations and retrieval of various items from the cleaning cart that was strategically parked right next to my door. I would still recommend the hotel for a stay.

Our stay at this Best Western in Shillington was a great experience. The room was clean and spacious with great amenities. The continental breakfast was very good with many choices, certainly more than would normally be expected for a Continental Breakfast. Staff was professional, friendly and very helpful. The price was very reasonable. We would stay here if we return to the area again.

My daughter and I are still in the process of moving and visiting a friend and needed a place to stay in the area. Everyone there was professional and polite. The housekeepers work very hard to keep things clean and in order. Would stay again and recommend. It was a pleasant stay.

Hotel was under renovation so hopefully things are improving. Asked for an early check-in and were given one, but were super disappointed to find a shower cap and used washcloth still in the shower - gross!

Dirty and we felt unsafe. Asked for non smoking 3 weeks prior I was given a roo. That allowed smoking right next door. It smelled as if someone was sitting on the room smoking all day. Room was not clean. Hairs in tub and pillowcases. Not enough towels. Stains on bedding. Couple next door to us had to be threatened 4 times with a final warning for the police to come. Very unnerving!! Emailed and called the manager Mr. Atkins he never reached out to hear my concerns.

The rates at this hotel versus other similar ones in the same area are very reasonable. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. During my stay, it was very quiet. I always expect to hear doors slamming or people walking loudly above me, but I slept soundly. I did request a room on the top floor to avoid any noise above, only to be given a room on the 3rd floor. This is probably my only complaint, especially since the hotel did not seem to be full. However, it was still very quiet. The breakfast was average, but it was free. While I was there, the attendant did not appear and some of the hot food ran out as well as hot water for tea. So, I went to my room to microwave some water. At checkout time, I had to use the lobby phone to call someone to the desk as it was unattended. These are all small matters, and I was happy with my stay and would definitely stay again.

The reservation process was quick and efficient. The room was clean and comfortable with plenty of space to move around. The one complaint I had is that there was no desk or chair to work from. It was an inconvenience. The motel was convenient to the appointments I had. There is a good little restaurant directly in front of the motel that made it very convenient for a late afternoon dinner.

After being a regular guest at this hotel for over 10 years, I don't think I will be back. I'm not sure what happened, this hotel at one time was an excellent place to stay, that has changed drastically. Dirty, loud drunken party in lobby with no staff breaking up the party that lasted until after midnight, broken fan in bathroom, bathroom door in desperate need of paint, furniture badly scratched and looking like an unfinished garage sale item and BLACK MOLD above and beside the heater and on the ceiling in the bathroom.

I will start with the good. Quick check in process, Hotel wasn't busy and the room was clean. The morning breakfast room attendant was over the top awesome. She was friendly and kept up with never running out of breakfast yummy's. The toiletries were of good quality. The bed had good sheets and pillows, the mattress was just ok. I think it was there for durability not comfort. The price was what I expected for the type of room. If you are on a smaller budget and not going to spend much time in your room , this might be the place to stay. The only real problem I encountered was both of our key cards quit working every morning. I had it changed by two nice ladies working the front desk. The last night before checkout we came in around 8pm and asked front desk attendant Don to help us with our door cards. He rudely said it must have been our fault and we demagnetized the card. I informed Don it happens every morning and the card is timing out in his system. Anyhow, we are not demagnetizing in two separate locations at the same time. Word to the manager, we are the customer and shouldn't receive drama and blame for something not working properly.

All employees I encountered were friendly at this well kept property. There was a lot of snow and sleet during our stay and the lot was consistently attendant to. The breakfast area provided plenty of seating and was well supplied with lots of options and kept clean. The room was spotless and there wasn't any loud housekeeping in the hall in the morning, thank you for that!

I looked for a Best Western when I decided to not drive home and thought this one would do. I wanted to check it out because I hunt and fish within 20 miles from this location. I wasn't disappointed with anything!

The hotel looks like it had been updated in the past year or two. The front desk and breakfast area were updated and modern looking. The staff front desk personnel were helpful and courteous. The rooms and hallways were updated and clean.

This is now our second time staying at this hotel and each visit is great. Quick check in, pleasant staff , good breakfast and very nice accommodations each time. We will definitely return when we are back in this area again.

We liked the mini- suite type room (223) with a king bed and sitting area with sleep sofa. The room seemed fresh and new, with convenient power and UBS charging outlets. Bathroom amenities are minimal but ok; breakfast included eggs, sausage, waffles and etc and was also ok. Very friendly staff and convenient location in Shillington, plus fair pricing for AAA and AARP discounts. We will use this again on our next visit.

We checked in late and checked out late. No issues whatsoever, very quick and the desk staff were very knowledgeable about the area. Unfortunately, the breakfast ended very early, so we skipped it. Went to Shady Maple and that was AWESOME!

I was on 2-night business trip with 3 other people (I work in the tissue and paper business). After being checked in by the friendly staff at the front desk and heading up to the room, I immediately noticed how small the bathroom was upon entering, lacking a sink (then I realized it was right behind me, outside the bathroom). But the shower nozzle with multiple settings was a nice touch. Another oddity I found were the coat hangers in the closet are non-detachable. Hanging up my jacket and other clothes was difficult (why would someone steal coat hangers from a hotel room???). First time I've seen that in a hotel. I also found it odd how the maid left me with new sugar/powered milk packets without a swivel stick to stir my coffee. She gave me new coffee packs, but the swivel stick I used the previous morning was discarded (naturally), and I had nothing to stir my coffee with. The furniture also needs to be replaced, at the very least the dresser (drawers wouldn't completely close). One aspect I'm beginning to love in hotel rooms nowadays is the availability of both a mini fridge AND a microwave oven, both of which I used. To boot, the in-room mini fridge was quite large (bigger than the average in-room mini fridge). FYI, fridge isn't stocked. There's also a large LCD TV, a desk, and a sitting area with a couch. This came in handy on the first night after dinner when my colleagues and I had a brief sit-down meeting. Finally, the free breakfast buffet downstairs next to the lobby was also very good, with a wide variety of both hot and cold items to choose from. The woman tending to the breakfast buffet was very warm and friendly. She always said good morning to us when we walked in (she even went as far as cutting my bagel for me on the first morning). I would definitely come here again. If you're looking for a place to stay in Reading, PA (and you're on a budget), look no further - The Best Western Plus Inn & Suites is your best option! Advice to those interested: - There's a family restaurant located in the parking lot right in front of the hotel, called “Deluxe”. - You have more dinner options near by. We ate at “Red Lobster” and “Olive Garden”, both of which are a 7 minute drive from the hotel. They are both located on Woodland Rd., just off U.S. Route 422. There's also a small shopping mall in that area. - The vending machines and ice machine are located behind the elevators on the second floor. If you decide to buy soft drinks from the vending machine (left hand side), you have to pay using the vending machine selling chips, chocolate bars, etc. (right hand side). Room advice: - My room was located halfway between the elevators and the end of the hallway. Keep this in mind if you have mobility problems.

good location for doing some shopping. hotel is clean, people that work there and very nice. breakfast is very good. washer and dryer on site, makes it very handy for not having to pack as much. all in all a great stay

We stayed here after going to Day Out With Thomas at Strasburg Railroad. It was about a half hr away but worth the trip. Reasonable rate for a very clean hotel that offers a free breakfast. Would definitely stay here again.

We had no problems with out stay, but it was a pretty typical Best Western, nothing out of the ordinary. Some of the reviews really made this place sound so great that it was a bit disappointing to see it in person. Not much in the immediate area, but easy access to the highway.

Great clean room, with functional drains, nice shower strength, and no cockroaches. The furniture layout was nice, and I appreciated the coffee/tea variety. I was unable to assess the breakfast room or the fitness room due to my being in a hurry, but the breakfast area looked nice.

When I am in this are this is my favorite hotel. I stay at this hotel for work reasons and I love the big desk and the internet service. The hotel is in a great location as well. The entire staff is friendly and outgoing to all. Special note to the breakfast crew who will do just about anything for you.

It's clean & neat .All the staff is helpful & caring. The best morning breakfast variety & oh so yummy. The rates are fair. If you are an antique lover the Antiques Capital in Adamstown is just a few miles away. This is the place to stay.

I stay here when going on a shopping trip every year. It is always clean and comfortable with a great breakfast and a friendly staff. That is what keeps us coming back. The rooms are quiet and the shower and toilet are separate from the sink area which makes it good when multiple people are staying in a room.

We went to Hershey Park on Saturday then Antiquing on Sunday. Hotels in the Hershey area are way too high with no breakfast and most pools closed for the season so we decided to drive 1 hr out of the Hershey area closer to Adamstown to go antiquing. We arrived @ 11:00 pm with 3 sleeping grandchildren the luggage carrier was right at the door and perfect to get to room in one sweep. Hotel was very good but the only thing was the noise that you can hear in the room from the walls and also the door. It sounded like people were in our room. The breakfast was very good had everything you could ask for and the 2 ladies in the breakfast area we just wonderful. There was a boys soccer team of 11 that ate right before us and the women had the area cleaned up with all fresh eggs sausage etc already out. bravo to them for handling it so well.

This place met all the check boxes for a traveling family. Stayed during the NHRA nationals. Hotel was full and well handled by staff. The value was very good for the rate, and when you are gone most of the day, you just want a goid place at a fair price to come back to.

Location for this hotel is off the beaten path. Was with a tour group, and I am sure they got a good deal price wise at this hotel. Breakfast ladies were extremely friendly. Desk Clerk, Don, was not friendly and not helpful at all. Everyone, except Don, was thrilled to help. We arrived after 8:00 PM and my husband who is diabetic and needed milk to take his medicine. Don responded it's closed up and he could not get to it. No milk in vending machine. He did not offer any solutions. My husband remembered there was a diner next door and went there to get his milk. Hotel is older, but they have kept it relatively updated.

I booked 2 nights in a king room thru Hotels.com. I then discovered that we needed a third night and there was nothing available on Hotels.com so I called the hotel & personally booked thru them. Obviously, I asked if we could get the same room, a king, and they said they made the reservation for the third night in the same room. Once we arrived, they were not able to find my reservation and told me they had nothing to do with it, that I had to call hotels.com. I showed them my paid receipt along with my conformation number. After about 15 minutes, they were able to locate it but they still seemed confused as to why we had 2 different reservations. I simply said because our plans had changed. It seemed to be a big deal & complicated to them. I am still unsure why. I wanted to pay cash for the 1 night I booked with them. They then told me that I needed to give them a $100 deposit. I was in shock as we stay at the Laquinta 99% of the time, are Elite members and had never heard of this. So, I gave them the $100 with confidence we had no problem getting it back. Once we got into our room, it was a queen handicap accessible room. I then called the front desk & informed her that we were put in the wrong room & were given the wrong discount. She said that the room we were in was the room on the reservation. It was not at all. By this time, we were so exhausted from driving 10 hours and 1500 miles from home so I did not make a big deal about it, until now. The room seemed very outdated. The carpet was old, smelly, because we were in a handicapped room, the water in the shower went everywhere, the hallway reeked of smoke, there was a strange couple down the hall that were constantly fighting, there were cigarette butts left on the picnic table outside (mind you I smoke myself but always properly dispose). The front lobby looked to be new and updated but it was deceiving because the room was so old. Breakfast was good. Once we were ready to checkout, we put all the bedding in a pile and the towels in another, emptied fridge and went to the front to collect the $100 deposit. She told me to have a seat while they inspected the room. I was somewhat appalled because I have never heard of such a thing. She came back and said they had to keep $50 for a stained towel. So, coffee was spilt and they expected us to leave it there or clean it up? That's what it was used for. We went back and forth because there was no way thay their cheap linens could possibly cost $50. We then waited 45 minutes for them to wash everything while sitting outside. They still charged us $13. That is ridiculous. We are very respectful people, respect properties and do a lot of their job for them and it seemed if we would had not argued the situation, they would have kept everything. We will never stay at any Best Western again. We always stay at Laquinta, are greeted with a smile, a bag of goodies and never have issues with anything at all, but....there is not one in the area. Be prepared for this place to take as much of your hard earned money for a old, outdated hotel. We will not be back.

could not believe the great price for a nice clean, up to date room. would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. Easy location to find and easy to get in and out of. First time to the area and this was the best price during our travels!

Booking over the phone was excellent! The lady I was talking to was very helpful and professional. I experienced nothing other than excellent service. My room was perfect. Nice view and pool area too!

I probably already reviewed this hotel and gave it an excellent rating. We are happy to have found a great hotel to stay near my mom's so we will be returning several times per year. Quiet, clean, great breakfast, frige and microwave in room, coffee all day, all at affordable rates.

Since we are Best Western Members we decided to stay here close to Shady Maple Smogesbordel . The hotel reception desk was welcoming and got us an early check in. The hotel itself was a little dated but the room was clean.

Easy access to Reading, Lancaster and points beyond. Lots of room to park. Guest laundry was at a low cost. Vending machines costs are more of what you would expect. Breakfast provided many options and the wait staff was very friendly. At times almost insincerely friendly as if to fill the tip box near the exit.

The room was clean but real tired. The hallways were fresh but the rooms need updating and new bath fixtures would be a good idea. It offered breakfast that was inedible. It would be a good idea to just lower the price or give guests a voucher for the mediocre diner out front. Thanks but no thanks.

My wife and I were visiting relatives in Myerstown which is about a 35 minute drive form the hotel. The hotel was easy to locate and reasonable amount of parking. The hotel itself could definitely use a sprucing up and a modernization although rooms were adequate and fairly priced. We did not avail ourselves of the breakfast but it looked pretty standard. There is a diner right in the parking lot which has a very good breakfast if not interested in hotel breakfast. I felt that the parking lot looked a bit shabby and the area in which the hotel is located is a bit drab and run down.

We were only there for one night but our stay was pleasant. Staff was friendly and accommodating when needed. Questions were answered quickly and politely. Very good location right off main roadways, Was very easy to locate

Very nice hotel. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, good breakfast selection. It was nice that when we asked for extra towels and a blanket that it was available immediately at the front desk. The only problem was that all the ice machines were either broken or empty. It was very hot that day and we missed having ice.

The room we stayed in was very comfortable and very clean. If I need to stay in this hotel I will do it again. I have stay at others hotels but this one was the perfect and comfortable for me and my husband. I will give A+.

This hotel is a little older, but it is well maintained, clean, and has a friendly staff. Not sure why it is in this location! We are here for a family visit, and it was moderately busy... Well worth the booking if you are in the area.

Was with a softball team and we had a wonderful time. There were other sports team staying there as well. Had a great view of the po fro our room but didn't use it as it was raining. Would defientely stay there again should we have another tournament down that way!!!

This hotel was recommended by my client. I was skeptical but was very pleasantly surprised. All of the amenities of a 4 star hotel in a large city. Great room, comfortable bed with a variety of pillows (very important to me). Satisfying free breakfast. Reasonable check-in process, quick check-out. Friendly staff.

During our whole visit, the staff at the Best Western was friendly, helpful and informative. I feel that the rate charged was very good. There is someone on the desk 24 hours, 7 days a week. Our room had two queen size beds - very spacious room and very comfortable room. The room includes a refrigerator, microwave oven, iron, hair dryer and lots of lamps (so lots of light). Every morning, I asked for a wake-up call which was always on time. The breakfast is very good. It includes hard-boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns (a little hard), waffles, bread, donuts, cereal, juices, coffee, hot chocolate, along with other things. The breakfast room has lots of light coming in. In our room, the toilet and shower are in a room by themselves. That way, someone could take a shower and the other could brush their teeth. A negative for me is that when you use the restroom at night, you have to go out into the room to wash your hands, thereby waking up the other person. By the sink is a shelf that allows you to put your stuff on so it will be close to you. The cabinet is next to the sink so you can store your stuff there and can reach it easily. While we were there, it was very quiet at night. During our stay, there was one day that our room was not made up. Also, the drink and snack machine on the second floor did not work, but we were able to get a drink on the first floor. Overall, I enjoyed my stay at Best Western and would stay again on another visit.

This hotel was clean, modern, and nicely decorated. Very good breakfast, and fresh coffee and tea where always available in the lobby. The only drawback to our stay, was noise. The walls seemed very thin. Could hear people in the hallways and next door rooms. Thankfully, our neighbors were quiet when it was time to sleep. Good value.

I stayed a night here with friends when visiting and attending LanternFest at the Maple Grove Raceway. Very convenient location. Clean and staff is friendly. Check in and out was simple. Wonderful dinner in the parking lot if you don't want their simple breakfast.

My daughter and I stayed here June 2018. Location in a convient area. Check-in and check-out was easy and staff friendly. Room was clean and tidy. The pillows were VERY small, suggest taking your own as we always do.

I'm not one to use a white glove to check for dust or take pictures of every corner in the bathroom. But I was totally confident with the Best Western Plus Reading Pennsylvania that I didn't need to. It was a very nice Motel. The staff we're all very friendly and helpful. When I checked in I was asked if I wanted snacks or 500 points which I gladly accepted. Room was clean and quiet and spacious. The breakfast was good the usual Best Western menu.

We stayed for a week and shall stay again. We arrived tired after travelling from Portland, Oregon via Atlanta. But the young man on reception went above and beyond to try and help us as all the local restaurants were shut. We only ate breakfast in the small breakfast bar, which was adequate. But did dine twice in the restaurant and I can recommend the beef. Our room was unusual in that the bathroom only contained a bath and a loo. The hand basin was in the bedroom area (lovely well lit mirror and plenty of space for toiletries)

We stayed here 1 night with a group of families for a youth bowling tournament. The front staff was very friendly and helpful and allowed us to congregate in the breakfast area while we ate pizza/hoagies/wings. Our room was clean but in need of an all out cleaning...corners caked with dirt, ceiling had stains, carpet needed steam cleaned. Entry door was heavy and slammed shut, which you could hear all night long with other rooms. Beds were comfy but the pillows were not. Temperature of room was good and air conditioning unit was quiet. Breakfast was well stocked with the usual, eggs/waffles/pastries/cereal, but room was very crowded. There were 2 ladies working there and one was super nice but the other was extremely rude and mean. By far the fastest elevators in any hotel I've ever stayed! Overall a good place to stay, reasonable rate and clean rooms.

Traveled with family and team for Memorial Day Weekend soccer tournament. Hotel pool was not filled which was a big disappointment. Breakfast had a fair selection but the hot food (other than waffles) was mediocre . Pillows were very small (half standard size) so recommend bringing your own if you're picky. Bed was comfortable. Many in our group noted a strange odor within the halls during the stay. Staff was great and very accommodating to our large group.

My family and I decided to add an additional day to our Reading stay and found the hotel in which we had already booked did not have any rooms available for the added night. Our conference material listed the Best Western Plus Reading Inn & Suites as an alternative. I must say, we should have booked our entire trip here! The staff, especially the cafe staff, was friendly and attentive. The rooms were clean and quiet. The breakfast was well stocked and delicious. I would highly recommend!

Hotel was convenient, clean & accommodating. Breakfast was delicious! King size room was very nice with a sofa seating area. Overall would return if visiting that area again. Bed pillows were a little strange as they were square.

Everyone was MOST accommodating! It was the first time bringing our Golden and staying in a pet-friendly room. Immaculate room! Set-up for the dog was convenient with walking area close to our room. Entrance near our room so we did not have to go through hotel. Quiet! Clean! Friendly and helpful staff! Could not have asked for more.

Check in person was not friendly nor welcoming. She did place our rooms nearby as we asked her. No smile. Room was clean. Very small square pillows on a king size bed. Not sure what's up with that. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was very good and staff kept it replenished. Would stay there again. Check out was easy but no access for checkout through TV.

Stayed here for two nights while taking a training course in Reading. Im not the type that requires a five star hotel, just a clean room, comfy bed and working AC. The room was a decent size with a small fridge, microwave and small safe. Room had a decent size flat screen tv. Only issue with the room was bathroom light was dim, but it's a minor complaint. Also housekeeping didn't replace the facial tissues and my allergies were killing me. Ended up going to the local pharmacy to buy puffs plus just to save my nose. My room keys didn't work on day 2, but the desk fixed that quickly. Breakfast buffet was included and consisted of scrambled & hard boiled eggs, sausage patties, hash browns, pancakes, waffle maker with various toppings, cereal, fruit, yogurt, juice, and coffee. Staff maintaining breakfast area ensured you were satisfied with everything. Hotel was very clean. Bed was pretty comfortable. Fitness room was very small and the pool wasn't open for the season. It was in the 90s on 5/3, I was wishing the pool was open. I'd stay there again if I ever return to the area. There is a diner on the property in front of the hotel with pretty good food as well.

The staff was friendly & helpful. The room was clean and well maintained.The desk was helpful in dealing with any special needs. I miss the macadamia cookies usually available in the front, We also missed HBO on the TV channels.

Maybe we've been staying in some crappy hotels lately, but this was a breath of fresh air. Comfortable, clean room, professional, pleasant staff, wifi, delicious breakfast, coffee all day. We will be back.

The upgrade to a Best Western Plus was a great. This hotel has been nice, now even nicer. Great staff, they definately go the extra mile. Comfy beds and plenty of towels continue to make you feel 'at home. Coffee and hot tea always available.

Overall Great stay. Just need new pillows.Jacuzzi room was great! We arrived very early but staff was wonderful and made arrangements with housekeeping so we could check in early. Much appreciated!! Was able to walk to local diner for dinner. Nothing fancy but good food. Had great breakfast at hotel.

Warm welcome, clean hotel, FANTASTIC!! We heard noise, unidentifiable off and on. Our morning guest host was given a description and the occurrence. She apologized immediately, was so sincere and handled the situation with a satisfactory resolution. Breakfast!! Oh, my. Both of us said we have NEVER had a free continental breakfast with 7 selections of hot foods, in addition to the pastries, the breads, the bagels, the fruits, the cereals. We were extremely impressed!! We will always stay here when we have future visits to the area.

Best Western Plus- nothing else needs to be said. It'a a moderately priced hotel with great accommodations. The rooms are spacious with 2 queen beds, a table with 2 chairs(on wheels), a microwave and fridge. Who could ask for anything more? The complimentary breakfast was great with make your own waffles with Nutella,chocolate,vanilla,& raspberry sauces as well as chocolate chips to customize your waffle. There were hash browns,sausage,scrambled eggs,bacon,bagels,toast, mini muffins,Danish,a variety of cereals,hot oatmeal, pancakes and fresh fruit. If you can't find something to satisfy your appetite here, then you're too picky. Samia, the lady who makes and stocks the breakfast area was extremely good at her job!

This is a typical Best Western, which is a good thing, as some aren't all that spectacular. The room was plenty clean & modern, had a fridge & mike in the room, & there's a pool, but it's o/side. The fitness center is a little small but has all the equipment you could need. B/fast had plenty of choices & was well stocked. Lastly, but not least, truck parking for a couple trucks. Best Western members get a better rate to make it a good deal. I would recommend this hotel. Be blessed!

This is not a fancy hotel, but it is an excellent value. Best Western Reading has clean, spacious, quiet rooms. It offers a great hot breakfast that is always served with a smile. Easy access to the highway.

We always stay at this hotel when visiting our children in Reading. The quality of staff and the pleasant atmosphere at the hotel makes us feel like we are coming home. The rooms are always clean and smell fresh. The breakfast is very tasty and the staff make sure things are refilled when running low. Overall the best!!

Very nice . With in 10 miles to fairgrounds. Staff was nice breakfast was good selection . Waffles, sausage,eggs, attentive staff. Fruit fresh. Like location. restaurant in front affordable. Pool was under construction. Have stayed their the last 5 yr. Will probably stay this year. Parking in rear if you stay on second floor on right hand side you can keep an eye on your vechicial.

I will stay here again for sure. The staff were some of the friendliest and most helpful people I have ever met.. The room was clean, comfortable and stylish. Breakfasts were very good, well stocked. The coffee was fresh 24 hours a day!!!!

My other half & I decided to visit Reading PA for the Christmas Village. When we booked the hotel we had no idea it would be snowing that weekend. We were worried of road conditions. Once we arrived after the 2 hour drive we saw the hotel had already salted there parking lot & had a plow waiting to clean the parking lot if necessary. Back home in Maryland we would have never seen such precaution and preparations. When we arrived back at the hotel from the Christmas Village the snow was falling hard, the temperatures were dropping & the roads were getting worst by the second. To our surprise the parking lot was clean , salted more & most importantly it was safe. Although we only stayed one night we did enjoy the breakfast Sunday morning which was the best hotel breakfast we ever had, everything was fresh, hot , healthy choice were also available, it was a nice variety. Being in a new City & State was worried some with out the bad weather. I'm glad we choose the Best western for our trip. It eased our pain & worries for our cars safety & our safety

Nice clean hotel, nice hot breakfast in the morning. Check in and check out were easy. Temperature in the room wasn't so easy. Lack of extra blankets in the room and a wall heater that didn't display temperature but a numbering system- was hard to regulate on a cold night; was 30 degrees out. Mattress was so-so.

The Best Western Plus Reading Inn & Suites is a updated, clean, organized place. The staff is well trained, helpful, and friendly. Especially, the young women running the desk at night. The rooms were comfortable and quiet at night. There is a great diner in the parking lot of the Inn, and a pretzel outlet up the street. Next time we are in town we plan to stay there.

I would recommend this hotel great quality for price. This hotel has very good breakfast and nice cleaned rooms. Friendly staff service ready to help. The rooms are clean and well kept . You can get your choice of towel exchange every day or not if preference.

I was looking for a reasonable hotel in the area, and this one stood out as the best option for my budget with many good reviews when considering comparable hotels. I have stayed at pretty seedy establishments for similar prices. But, this hotel was pretty darn great! The staff was courteous. Beds were comfy. Breakfast was not gourmet, but they have WAFFLES! It was pretty quiet, and road noise wasn't a large issue which was surprising considering the close proximity to many large roadways. Would recommend to anyone needing a place to stay at a reasonable rate.

Can receive a fair price, breakfast is plentiful & delicious, cleanliness of the hotel is excellent & the staff very accommodating. There is a pool area & fitness center for all to use. If you are a antique shopper Adamstown Antiques is just a few miles away (an antique shoppers dream).

We had a little trouble finding this place as their signage is not very good! Fortunately I had my internet map on but even so, we ran past the place and had to try again before we found it. The room was quiet, clean and the beds comfortable. There is a $14 fee for a pet.

Hotel was very nice and clean. Employees were very nice. Breakfast is fair but not great. Not a lot of options unless you really like bread. I had to work in downtown Reading and found this hotel to be a little out of the way in the morning, but not too bad since traffic in Reading isn't too bad. It took me about 20 minutes to get there.

had a excellent stay, now have a place to stay when i visit again. my family loved the hotel also everyone was nice, polite cheerful. near by dinning area, shopping centers. what else can i say all was great.

Great value for your money. Rooms are nice, decor is great, everything is fairly new and not scary looking. Staff is friendly and the place is very clean. Free breakfast and internet are always great additions.

The staffs friendly, the rooms are nice, and the breakfast / amenities are fine. Add their rewards program into the equation and it's probably the best option in the area. It's the only place I've stayed since I've had zero issues there so far, which pretty much says it all.

All around great experience both times. Rooms were clean, beds comfortable, pillows were just right. Hallways were clean but a little confusing for a bus full of seniors looking for coffee in the morning. Nothing to complain about because the breakfast choices were good and containers full. Staff was very friendly.

Stayed the night for a concert in town. Room was very clean and the staff was extremely friendly. The bed could have been a little more comfortable, but not a factor for me to rule it out. Great stay!

We stayed at the Best Western of a week in July, 2017 while in reading visiting family. We were vert happy with our accommodations. The staff was friendly and helpful. In several instances we felt they went above and beyond. We found the location convenient to everything we wanted to do while were in Reading and, should the circumstances arise, we wouldn't hesitate to book here again in the future.

This is a solid value option and great choice to stay near Reading PA. Beds were comfortable. My only complaint was that the sinks are outside the bathrooms. Plently of hot water and adequate water pressure in the shower. Breakfast was mediocre but FREE! Coffee was decent too.

Hotel is in very good condition. Clean. Good size rooms. Complete free breakfast every morning. People that work there are very nice. I guess our mattress was a little old as we thought it needed more support.

The Best Western Plus was efficient and clean and quiet. For the purposes of my trip, the location wasn't the best, but for the price and value, I was willing to drive the 15 minutes to the college. I will very likely stay here again.

My parents and I stayed here for a full week to visit family and friends in the area. To be honest, I was looking at Airbnb places but my parents didn't want to be bothered with owners and worrying about what time we got in, etc. Plus, they wanted breakfast. They loved the ladies in the breakfast area who also took great care of them and the breakfast. Dad particularly loved the Belgian waffles and the coffee was very good and available all day. I was relieved my parents were very happy with everything here and it was all very clean too - a must for them or we would've been out of here. It looked recently renovated. We stayed in Oct 2017. I will judge this hotel based on its price category. This is not a Park Hyatt so shouldn't be judged against that level.

The staff can be rude, the older guy who works desk mid evening is rude and has no personality, the rooms lack in docor, i order a crib and got a roll-a-way bed on one stay, i stay in hotel evey week out the yr. in one yr i will stay in over 52 or more hotels and to date this has been the amonst the worst service by anyone, first time was great this thime a total train wreck, go someplace else that has more concentent policys and staff

We stay here every year in October. We come to visit family. our stays have always been excellent. This year I had problems with the internet. Every time I got on I got kicked off. I was trying to stay in touch with my pregnant daughter who went into early labor. The breakfast set up is pretty good. Have a lot of different items on it.

Skip the breakfast, and walk next door to the deluxe diner for a hot fresh cooked breakfast. The rooms are really good and up to date, everything worked in my room and the frig and microwave plus a safe are great amenities. Front lobby staff are very helpful. Exercise room needs an update but judging from the guests they do not use it.

Good price for the stay, clean rooms, comfortable beds, good breakfast, 24 hour coffee, both the night and day staff were friendly. Our family will stay here in the future when we come back for Shocktoberfest.

We stayed here as part of a bus tour. The location is a great central location for visiting Pennsylvania Amish county. The rooms were roomy, quiet, clean, and comfortable. The breakfast was the usual offerings, but it was serviced well by the staff. I would definitely stay here on a return trip

Was not sure what to expect for our stay over the weekend but the Hotel was nice, it was well kept and clean and the staff was professional and attentive. The hotel was busy during our stay but in spite of all the people there it was very quiet. We had no problems during our stay and we would definitely come back again.

I stay at this hotel very often in fact pretty much weekly. The staff is sincere and its nice to have a restaurant close by. The entire staff including the manager are very helpful. The breakfast staff are just wonderful helping in any way they can.

I would recommend this location since it has comfortable beds and quiet location. It is convenient to shopping and restaurants, turnpike/highway but sits away from the road so it is very quiet for a nice night's sleep. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff so very friendly. The staff was very accommodating during our stay. Though they allow pets, we did not hear (or smell) any during our stay. We will definitely return!

The hotel is well located and easy to find, very clean and staff is friendly and professional. They also accept small pets. The bed is comfortable, however we felt that the bedding could be better. Complimentary breakfast is very convenient.

I hosted a group here and everything went great. The location was very convenient and there is a nice restaurant right in the parking lot that is not affiliated with the hotel but you can walk to & has good food at a reasonable price. I was very happy with our whole experience.

Close enough to where I needed to go but not right in the middle of everything. Room was spacious, clean, bright. Internet was OK but a little slow for any serious application. The staff was excellent. It was busy but you never felt crowded.

Staff friendly and helpful . Room was clean. Breakfast had a large variety to choose from . We were here for the races. This hotel is about ten minutes from the track! A little pricey, but for the weekend about average . Would stay here again .

We booked the hotel based on TripAdvisor feedback and were not disappointed. The room was much more spacious than we thought. King bed took half the room and a desk and comfy sofa was in the other half. The room appeared to have been recently renovated or just maintained very well. Only complaint was on check out. We had no express checkout indicated and had to presume checkout. We dropped our keys on the desk, no desk clerk was anywhere around.

On our recent trip to Reading, we chose this Best Western for its location and price. We were very pleased with our choice and will definitely stay there on our next trip through. Quiet and clean with plenty of free parking.

The Best Western in Shillington was a very nice place to stay. It was clean and the staff was friendly. Don't stay at the Reading Inn and Suites. Used to be a nice place. It is now dirty and gross and nobody uses it for proms or weddings anymore.

Found the hotel to be quiet & clean as I have in the past. Stayed with a pet this time and had no problems - our room was even close to an exit for those nighttime outings. Pet area was well maintained. I thought that we might have had to take a "pet friendly" room (which are rooms that permit smoking) but we were able to have a non-smoking room and have our dog with us. There were other dogs in rooms near ours but we never experienced any noise problems.

Convenient location, close to highways around Reading but not immediately adjacent to interstate, so quiet environment. Diner-style restaurant in same parking area, but not affiliated with hotel; good prices, good food, lots of selection. Mattresses were better than most hotels at similar price point. Breakfast buffet was nothing special and lacked enough healthy choices for my tastes.

We have stayed twice at the Best Western in Shillington. Both visits were fantastic! The room was wonderful and the staff was very attentive. We were also very pleased to be able to take our dog with us since pet friendly rooms were available. We plan to stay there on each subsequent visit to PA.

If you want a good nights sleep, this is not the place to stay! The rooms are poorly insllulated and you can hear conversations out in the halls. You can hear every time someone leaves the room because the doors SLAM! The hotel seemed run down. The floors were dirty in the lobby and the elevators were filthy! Chunks of plaster missing from the walls in the room. There was also at least a 1 inch gap at the bottom of door, letting a lot of light in the room.

Was amazed at the cleanliness of the hotel lobby when we arrived, the friendliness of the clerk who checked us in and offered us a fresh cookie. The clerk checking us in also informed us of what time breakfast was served & where it was served. If we had any questions we only had to give the front desk a call. The clerk who offered to help us to bring our suitcases to our room. The room was very clean, bathroom was spotless. I was very impressed with the helpfulness of the staff.

This is a great hotel that would make a good stop for Canadian snow birds. It was easy to get to and there are many things to see in the area. We enjoyed visiting Ephrata and Lancaster which has tons of shopping. and lots of restaurants. There is even a lovely outdoor pool with a comfortable lounging area. The breakfast area and the breakfast were excellent. We would stay again.

The staff at the Best Western in Shillington are fantastic, you couldn't ask for a better crew to work for you. Pleasant, always smiling and cater to your needs. We travel for my grandsons baseball and this hotel is our first choice when we visit this area. The only thing I wish is that they had an indoor pool but again fantastic place to stay.

Staff very helpful and friendly ! Very clean throughout. Dog friendly and free breakfast very good. Suggest getting breakfast early to avoid crowds. Use meeting space next door to sit for breakfast. Main area to confining.

We had a nice stay here. Room was cleaned everyday. Staff was very friendly. The hotel was centrally located...easy to get everywhere. Also...a decent breakfast was included. Highly recommend if you can get a good price.

Clean, basic rooms and they serve a hot breakfast. It goes really fast though so expect to wait for someone to refill trays. Fitness room needs some work as only the eliptical was working but at least it gives a place to exercise. Most of all the people are friendly and will try to help.

We had a very large room, newly tiled bathroom and entry, but the ceiling and toilet needed some attention. They also had a lovely outdoor pool. It was in a perfect location for us as we were antiquing in Adamstown. The layout for breakfast was disfunctional. The poor layout caused all sorts of congestion. Although the area was small, I feel a few changes to the layout would help enormously. The staff were very friendly, helpful and courteous.

My dog and I had a restful sleep and a roomy room for the evening on a recent trip. There was a grassy place with plenty of room for my dog, along with a handy bag and trash station for doggie needs. I would highly recommend this place!

This hotel has never disappointed me. Every stay, including this one, reinforces why I stay with this specific hotel each and every time I visit PA. The friendly staff, the quality of the room, right down to the wonderful breakfast, makes traveling a pleasure, not a chore. The Manager this time, not only remembered my name, but even what room I like to stay in. All the staff treat the guests like family.

I was staying here on business, and ended up finding another hotel to stay in because of several issues: the walls are paper thin, I was awoken several times due to noisy neighbors. The treadmill was out of order (and apparently has been for 3+ weeks), and the building in general is not well-kept, there were several spots where their were no ceiling tiles, it was dirty, etc. I would not recommend for business travel.

Hotel was great i have stayed here 3 consecutive years for a convention, Jesse the GM was great as usual and Fatima at check in was also great. Breakfast had a great variety and breakfast attendant was really nice when i went down. Will be back next year.

This is a mid-range hotel. Expect no more. Not that there is anything wrong with that, however. And curiously it is a bit hard to find at night. The road sign does not stand out. So be alert, and perhaps have the hotel phone number handy in case it is needed.

car show in parking lot under our window! We are seniors, had booked this room early, they could have put us in back of building but no, revving engines under our window! Drinking, lawn chairs, noisy cars, loud music under our window, nowhere else to go for us, we are old & had driven from Canada. Only seem to care about the noisy car owners!

I have stayed at this hotel for the last 8 years, 3-4 times a year and a member of the Best Western loyalty program. It has always been clean, comfortable and enjoyable. I checked in about 6pm after a long day of traveling. Shortly after getting in my room, a vacuum cleaner starts in the hallway. The next morning when i open the shower curtain, I find a half empty container of body wash. As I go to it in the trash can under the sink, I notice a bag of trash behind the trash can. I open the closet to retrieve the laundry bag and find a shirt hanging there. By now I'm feeling fortunate the bed was made with clean linens and the towels were fresh. When I check out, I mention all of this to the receptionist and added that the sink didn't drain well. Do you think she offers me a discount? did I mention they recently raise their rates by $20 a night. Needless to say, I will be looking for a new hotel on my next trip to the area.

This place was nicer then we expected. Staff was friendly and courteous. Breakfast included and very close to many other spots . Diner in driveway of hotel. Dunkin donuts down the street for the dunkin lovers like us. Definitely would stay here again .clean rooms .

We booked our room a couple months in advance, but because we were coming in late we weren't sure what room we'd get left with as there was a big show happening 10 mins away this weekend so we knew hotel would be very busy. We got there, and were pleasently surprised to find out that, we got a room on the 4th floor and with the other members of our group. The room had 2 queens, but still a ton of space by the window for bags, came with dresser, tv, bench, microwave, fridge and desk as well night stand on the far side of the bed by the window. The only thing we weren't a huge fan of was the bathroom as the sink was separate sorta in the middle of the entry way and any light over it would wake the people in the room if you have 4 people in the room. Luckily we were just two, so it didn't bug us much. Though I didn't go in it, the hotel does have pool which is a nice addition especially this time of year and the hotel also has a free breakfast which had many options including: waffle maker, bagels, muffins, eggs, sausages, yogurt, cereal, coffee, juice. Though both hotel and parking lot were full; we never encounter tons of people, and we could always find a spot in the lot. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would for sure stay here again if in the area. Sam

Our 5 day stay at this location was highlighted by caring employees and excellent facilities. Everything was done very well. In the interest of full disclosure, we did not visit or use the hotel pool, hence, we offer no view on it one way or the other.

After doing the rounds in York PA and finding nothing available, we found this Best Western. I called while on the road and got a switchboard. I had only wanted to check to see if there was a room available! Anyway, I reserved for safety. When we got to the hotel 25 minutes later, our reservation hadn't come in yet and we were told we'd have to wait till it did. We were tired and it was late. The woman at the front desk was really helpful and managed to deal with us almost straight away. The whole switchboard thing is a bit dumb but the hotel experience itself was fine. The room was much larger than expected, everything new and clean, comfortable bed. I mean, what else do you need? In the morning, we went down for the continental breakfast, again, not expecting much. It was surprisingly good. Coffee, orange juice, cereals, eggs, toast, self service waffles...very comprehensive and entirely satisfactory. We left the hotel rested and ready to go back on the road.

Fast and friendly check in. Nice, updated and CLEAN room. Comfortable bed and free Wi-Fi. had a good night sleep. Breakfast with ample choices, attendants stopping by to ask if everything is ok, can they do something for you. One of the best coffees! Would stay here again when in the area.

Everything was awesome from the moment you arrive till the moment you depart. Housekeeping was awesome, cleanliness great, awesome breakfast and pool area. near restraunts, malls and overall pet friendly. Our baby Bella was with us the whole time.

When on a buying trip for my store, comfort is of the utmost importance. Best Western Plus Reading Inn hit 5 stars on every box on the comfort checklist. Location was just 6 miles from the Antique Capital of the USA - 5 stars for convenience! The room was clean, quiet and in perfect working order - 5 stars for feeling like home! The hotel, the parking area and the surrounding area were safe and secure - 5 stars for safety!! when you hit 5 stars on my checklist - I will definitely recommend to others and return!

Breakfast was great and so was the lady working there. Also Fatima at the front desk was extremely helpful. Room was clean and the wireless internet in the hotel was great. All around the hotel was clean an updated. They had the best 24HR coffee machine downstairs!

What brought us to this hotel was that we needed a place that accepted pets. They can be tough to find. The room was in decent shape. It had clearly been renovated. Lots of fresh paint. Shower and fixtures had not been updated but many things had. Signed a lengthy list of rules for the dog. Must use side or back door. Not the lobby. 14$ pet fee was reasonable. Breakfast was complimentary. Reconstituted eggs(yuck). Make yourself pancakes, cereal, toast, fruit etc. Breakfast area is a little small. Hallways and public areas were clean. There is a diner by the road in front of the property that you can get a decent meal at. Better for breakfast if you prefer the hotel offering. For the price it was a reasonable hotel for comfort. HVAC unit ran quietly so sleep was not disturbed. Friendly staff.

Room was very nice, quiet, but not completely clean. Location of Best Western was a bit out of the way but reasonable. Breakfast was exceptional - good selection of food and drinks. Coffee was excellent.

Okay. If you want the maid to come in your room and make your towels into little animals or have your bed turned down and a chocolate pretzel left on your pillow, you will need to go somewhere else. But, this hotel staff is the nicest, friendliest, most helpful group of people that I have ever met working at a hotel. Every employee had a smile on their face and a very warm and kind attitude. Before we stayed there I did not know what the Plus stood for. Now I know that it represents the people who work there.

We were in Reading for a wedding. We have stayed here numerous times and always had a good experience. The hotel has upgraded the rooms heating/AC units that are very quiet along with the decor of the rooms. We will rebook for our next visit to Reading.

This was our first stay in this hotel, but not at Best Western. The staff was courteous and helpful, especially when I found out I made a mistake when I booked online. They quickly fixed my mistake. The room was big and clean, And breakfast was tasty and plentiful. I hope to return soon.

Stayed here while we visited several PA attractions. Very centralized but nothing to write home about. We enjoyed our stay and would probably stay again but definitely not above average. Price is about the only issue we had but overall it was very convenient.

We stay at BW when we have a choice because they're always clean and contemporary and the breakfast and staff are excellent. In my view, there's no better value in chain hotels. I always sleep like a baby on their comfortable beds.

The first night was hard rain and the roof leaked in the room we were in. You could see that it had leaked before where they didn't paint over the water marks. My clothes that I had out for the next day got soaked along with everything that we had set out on table. My dog was up all night getting me up, we didn't realize that the water was running down the wall and across our belongings. I told them at the desk and they moved us that morning. But I had to pay the full bill and call the manager when I got home 3 days later. I wasn't very happy that they only refunded one night, when my clothes also got soaked, Manager told me he would have washed my clothes... if he had been told about it.

I never thought a Best Western could be this nice. I was looking to save money, and did see favorable reviews, so I stayed at the Best Western. the check in was effortless, the room was immaculate, not dated, just nice.It's not a resort, it was just unexpectedly a nice place.

The overall experience was pleasurable,the front staff were professional,the rooms were very clean and well maintain the furniture was in good condition as well. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

If you stay here and do not smoke, insist on a room on the hallways opposite of the smoking rooms. Get a room on the upper floors. I did not eat in the breakfast area as it was located next to the bank of smoking rooms on the first floor. I rate poor on room due to smelling of smoke. My room was clean and the bed was great. This is a great location but again, get rid of the smoking rooms.

I stay at this property several times during the year and I find it to be in a great location and very clean. The staff is friendly, caring and sincere! I would recommend this property to anyone. Last year my employment required me to live on the road for 273 nights and many of them were at this Best Western. Good job!

We needed a room without very much notice and they were more then willing to help me and my family. The breakfast was delicious and hot no matter what time we went down i was also very impressed with how fresh the fruit was. It was also really nice that they had a coffee machine that was on all night and day.

The rooms are clean and spacious and the FREE breakfast spread is great. Hot buffet with bacon, sausage, pancakes, French toast and scrambled eggs besides "make your own waffles", cold cereal, fresh fruit, yogurt, toast, muffins, Danish, and a variety of juices, coffee, teas.

My husband and I always make it a point to stay at this hotel when traveling to Pennsylvania. The staff make all the difference. The atmosphere makes you feel comfortable and welcome as soon as you walk in the lobby. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are always clean. My family stayed there for a weekend based on other Trip Advisor reviews. We were quite pleased. The front desk folks were very welcoming and helpful. Our room was nicely appointed and very clean (the beds were comfy, too). Breakfast was good. Overall, I would definitely stay there again!

Stayed several times and never had any issues. Always nicely cleaned rooms. All the appliances have always worked. The. Exs are comfortable with four pillows suited for mixed preferences. The staff are always amazing. I love that you are always greeted with a smile. Breakfast area is clean and nicely set up. And the breakfast staff is constantly filling checking and cleaning so nothing runs out or gets messy. Overall I'll be going back. And I'd recommend to anyone!

Great rooms. Great price. A nice fit into our budget for just a weekend night. A lot of hotels in the area have a minimum stay. We had not used this hotel before and was pleasantly surprised. Coming back in a few weeks! Nice comfortable rooms and included a breakfast as well.

We recently went to the Reading area to see Mel Brooks at the Santader Performing Arts Center and needed a place to stay. I called the Resort directly and that was the start of a wonderful experience! All my questions were answered and additional suggestions were made. I was comfortable that I would be pleased with the hotel. My arrival was handled efficiently and politely. My requests for guidance regarding shopping, food delivery and taxis were quickly taken care of. I require a late check out and was accommodated. I was also very b pleasantly surprised with the high quality of the free hot breakfast. Fresh, hot, tasty food! I will definitely stay here again when I am in the area and will look for Best Western Inns for stays in other locations for future travel!

We visited the Reading area for a college graduation ! Check in was a breeze and hotel was clean and met all our needs . Staff were great and went out of the way to help . We will diffently recommend Best Western

I took my daughter and husband who were visiting from out of the area. This was convenient to there destination. I'm a Hilton Honors member and this was my first experience with Best Western. My daughter called me at 230am. She had been awake since 1030pm because the room next door rm 111 had people arguing and loud behaviors and disgusting talk. I told them to contact front desk. They were moved to other side of hotel. An apology was only given at check out. They were told this is a resident who has issues from the Army and gets incoherent every evening.. Really? no offer of anything even though they missed breakfast because of not getting to sleep until 5am from moving rooms, and all the commotion. Hilton wouldn't have this . I learned where to stay ..I was embarrassed I took family there, and paid $154.00 for this experience... so so sad

This hotel is very convenient if you are going to shop antiques at Adamstown. The rooms are fine, not luxurious, but nice and clean. The breakfast room is way too small if there are many guests. The tables are close together and you have to slide sideways to keep from hitting other diners. The breakfast is not great but is mostly edible. There are greasy sausage patties, limp hash browns and scrambled eggs. There is also toast, bagels and a few muffins, but no cereal. The hot water dispenser for tea doesn't give you a full cup so if you are a tea drinker, just push the button twice. Still there is enough there to start your day if you don't want to go out for breakfast. The staff is friendly.

It has been quite awhile since I stayed at this hjotel. When I checked in, I was greeted with big hellos and huge smiles. The staff check me in and remembered my special requests even before I was going to give my name. The place was it's usual top shape and the room was extremely homey. Monday's Breakfast was also a special treat. The attendent gave me a greeting like a long lost brother. All this made me feel quite at home.

The hotel is really nice and clean. The price was extremely good and the room was perfect. They provide excellent customer service and our check in and out went smoothly. My only disappointment was that I did not like the location of the hotel and the parking lot was very small.

We are frequent visitors to Best Western Plus in Shillington. Affordable, clean rooms, free delicious breakfast, comfortable beds and pillows, free internet. Everything we need. No bar or restaurant but in walking distance a great diner open late.

In town on business, saw the hotel on way in, decided to give it a shot since we had a great stay at another Best Western the night before, Early afternoon and front desk was super! Had a room for us, price was right, gave a military discount, room was spotless, staff was super! Wife stayed behind while I went to take care of what I had to do, when done went back and picked her up, and she was happy with the staff they made her stay great, If we are back in this area again will stay there!

Arrival check in was as easy as it gets. The gentleman behind the counter was very informative. Gave recommendations of a good restaurant and reminded us of the complimentary breakfast buffet. Clean and inexpensive rooms. Would stay there again.

I just wanted to share an experience that I thought was very nice. I missed the free breakfast time by about 5 min because I thought the time ended later. However there was an employee by the name of Sammia bourrelo (I think I butchered her last name) sitting in the breakfast area that saw me searching and let me know it was closed. Instead of keeping it at that, because there was still food available she made a personal trip to get me some breakfast, and even made two trips because I forgot about something I had wanted. She was one of the nicest employees I ever met. So needless to say, if you stay here you'll definitely be happy with the service

I wasn't sure about this place when I booked it. It wasn't expensive and it's been awhile since I stayed at a BW. But it exceeded my expectations. A little delayed check in as they were busy. But the front desk staff of one was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well kept. The bed was very comfortable. Quiet location with some convenience stores down the road. Breakfast was good. The chef/cook even came out and greeted everyone. Like I said, a very friendly staff. I would stay here again.

My husband and I stayed here for one night before heading to Atlantic City. The hotel is located off the roadway, but we knew where it was and had no problems finding it. The desk clerk was very professional, pleasant, and informative. The room was roomy and clean. The sink is outside of the bathroom. The hotel has a very nice breakfast in the morning. There is a restaurant right next to the hotel and we ate dinner there and it was great! This stay was just right for us. After leaving in the morning, it was easy to get back on the highway and head to the Penna. Turnpike. I would recommend this hotel to others.

We had never stayed at this hotel before, but have always used Best Western when travelling. We missed the hotel entrance the first time & had to turn around. The sign is not like other Best Western hotels. Checking in was smooth & flawless with the young man repeating everything clearly. Our room was very nice [temp was a little too cool but that was easily adjusted]. Bed was very comfortable. Tub did not drain & there was very little hot water at the sink. Breakfast had a great selection of items--french toast, make your own waffles, eggs, sausage, muffins, cereal-both hot & cold, etc. However the eggs & french toast could have been warmer. During the night, however, rude guests decided that it would be OK to stand outside our room and laugh uncontrollably for about 15 minutes. Since we were on 2nd floor with an open balcony above the check in area, we expected the clerk to come up and say something. However he/she did not. I know it's not the responsibility of the hotel to deal with loud guests, but it certainly didn't make for a pleasant stay for us.

I searched for only a few minutes and found your hotel online. Had a great experience and in speaking with Noe was able to book and be done in a short amount of time. My son and I had a great time in the hotel and at the Maple Grove Raceway. Highly Recommend!

Awesome Hotel. Rooms were well kepted. Breakfast was very good and a varity of selections. The hotel was very clean and the personnel were very friendly and helpful. It is centerally located and has easy access to highways. I would stay agai8n at the hotel.

Most of the hotel is decent. I would give it a B- or 2.5 stars. I am disappointed that I immediately complained to management that the tv was all static. They checked it and said it only affects some channels and would have maintenance look at it the next day. Got back the next evening and it is still static on those channels. Again complained. It is kind of dated and the bathroom sink is not in the bathroom. So if you use the bathroom in the middle of the night it is difficult not to wake everyone to wash your hands. It was nice that breakfast was included. The staff is very friendly.

I love staying at the Best Western as my home away from home. The lights were out in my house and I decided to stay in a hotel. The price is good and the amenities including free breakfast is a plus! I come here often when I need to stay somewhere overnight. It is definitely nice quality for the price

The hotel has continually been a place of relaxation and great service. It makes the long travel out a beacon of a hassle free ending point. The staff from the Manager on down strives to make each guest feel at home, no matter what time of the day or night you arrive. They always try to accommodate any special needs or requests.

Helpful staff, spacious room with several amenities, including good Internet service and large work space/desk. It's a convenient location with several eateries nearby. Decent fitness room and a nice outdoor pool big enough to swim laps. Breakfast buffet is included and offers enough to satisfy almost everyone. Maybe I'm jaded by New York prices, but for what I paid, this was a great deal.

Once we found this almost impossible to find place, we were pleasantly welcomed by a most helpful and friendly receptionist who made it clear that it was understandable that when the book/website says Shillington, and it's really Reading, people older like us, might experience some difficulties. We came in for Mustang Event weekend and we stayed there for 2 nights. From the time we came into the parking lot, til the time we checked in, we always were made sure we had everything we needed and the help we needed. The customer service at the front desk was excellent, breakfast was great each morning and they even made sure we had enough parking for both our truck and trailer that we brought. We plan on coming back every year from now on!

Stayed here for 2 nights with a bunch of Mustang Enthusiasts. easy to find, clean inside & out, very friendly staff, nice breakfast food and sitting area. We did not have time to use the pool but heard it was nice. The room was spacious and very clean. I will stay here next year as well

When I put the address into my GPS, it did not take me to the correct location, so be careful. It was just down the street from where my GPS thought it was, behind the Deluxe Restaurant. If it weren't for the breakfast staff, I would have only given this hotel a 3 instead of 4. Both days that I was there, the ladies working in the breakfast area were superb. The first morning, the lady seemed to know half the people walking into the room and greeted them accordingly, asking one gentleman how his wife was feeling and discussing a recent trip with a lady who walked in. This personal touch, though not directed at me, really goes above and beyond. It made me smile just to see it. The second day, the woman working still greeted everyone and seemed delighted to be there. They both had such great personalities and attitudes. Walking into my room, the first thing I noticed was a funny smell. I figured that once the fan/AC ran a bit more, maybe it would dissipate. I'm not sure if it went away, or I just stopped noticing it. The second day, when I walked in, it seemed to be gone. I also noticed that the chain on the door was broken, so it was a worthless safety measure. The bed was hard and I didn't sleep too well. However, the thing that was really disturbing was the gurgling sound as the water would come up in the sink whenever the room nearby (I think above me) ran water. I would hear the water running in another room, then the water would start gurgling up through the sink drain in my room. It wasn't enough to make a mess, but it was still enough to keep me awake later than I had hoped. I reported this at the front desk the next morning and it was fixed before I returned for the night. Overall, I think it is important to note that when I complained, they fixed it. However, it was not the most comfortable hotel and for the price, it wasn't the quality I would have expected.

First class Best Western. Very clean, a/c was quite, our room happened to have a brand new bathtub. The bed was very comfortable.The general manager was very personable and helpful. Plenty of sitting room at their breakfast buffet and a wonderful selection of food. This was not our first stay and will not be our last.

Stayed 2 nites with a wonderful room on the 2nd floor near the elevator. Bed was very comfortable. The room was large well furnished with a pull out couch, king bed, table with plug ins for computer, with a mirror and sink in an alcove, commode and tub in a closed area. The manager is an excellent host,attentive to his guests. Employees were all happy and cheerful, with showed how well this place functions. Breakfast area was well stocked, tasty items with sausage patties,scrambled eggs,potatoes, waffles, fresh muffins, bagels,breads, etc. Servers were happy to be serving guests, and made us feel like we were important guests. I would highly recommend this hotel for its outstanding staff,great location,attentiveness, and cleanliness. This was our second visit in a year and a perfect stay again as we shopped the vanity Fair outlet center.

This is a nice hotel in a good location for those who are going to Reading/Leesport area. There is a very pleasant diner in the parking lot with awesome desserts and meals. The staff at this hotel is very friendly, and the room are clean and comfortable. The staff will also help you find the best possible rate for your stay, which shows they care ,and it keeps me coming back. I stay in this location once per year and I have stayed here the last two years. The only issue I had was slow internet. Also they have cookies at the desk, but you need to be early to get those :D

This hotel was in a great locations. Shopping areas all around within 15 mins of the hotel. The rooms were nicely decorated and clean. The staff was courteous and kind. I would stay again. And the breakfast was pretty good too, with great customer service from staff.

We spent one night here as part of a coach tour. The beds were very comfortable, the room neat, clean and updated. The bathroom sink in the room, separate from the tub/shower, which is wonderful when you are traveling with someone. The shower was terrific! Plenty of hot water, a good shower head and good water pressure. The continental breakfast was adequate.

The rooms were standard, the woman at check in was helpful, but breakfast is what made the stay. There was a wide variety of foods (waffles, pancakes, fresh fruit, eggs, sausage, oatmeal, muffins, juice, decent coffee, and more!). The breakfast attendant went above and beyond. He made sure that our family had everything we needed, cleared our plates, made polite conversation, and was great with my daughter.

I found the room to be a good value & even purchased an additional room for a friend while I was there. The motel is in a good location with a restaurant in front of it within walking distance. The breakfast room always had seating & the staff were all cheerful.

I've stayed at this Best Western a number of times and have been very satisfied. It's easy to get to, the staff is great, the room is comfortable, and there are good restaurants nearby. Definitely my "go-to" place when I'm in the area!

I had my service dog with me and the staff welcomed her warmly, the room was very nice and comfortable. Very handicapped accessible throughout the hotel. I was impressed with my stay. Thanks to all the staff that made my stay enjoyable.

Decent stay with restaurants near by, good location, outdoor pool, in-room fridge, free breakfast, comfortable bed, quiet at night. I was on vacation solo so my needs were not that of a family. Location was convenient for my travel plans.

In my opinion all hotels that charge you penalty even if you never check-in are hold you hostage and usually are shady. Also the ones which will charge you full reservation period in case you would like to check-out earlier. Well this BEST WESTERN PLUS is one of them. Well, I did walk in my very cold room and try to open the balcony door and realized the skin on my hand is ripped buy something sharp, I looked the balcony door handle which was broke to peaces, (see attached picture). I complained to the front desk but he had no authority and referred me to manager, next day, and said maintenance will fix it next day. Next I tried to do some work at the desk in my room and realized it is very unstable on its crippled legs. (see picture). And of course I had to discover mold in the bathroom, seating at me with its moldy eye. (see picture) Next day day no one fixed anything an the Manager looked me as I was stupid because I was trying to open balcony door which according to him was nailed down for years, or something like that. Nice going for me so far. Good luck to you all.

Friendly, welcoming staff. 8 of us stayed here in 3 rooms - 2 adjoining rooms as requested. Comfortable beds, large refrigerators and easy on/off highways to get to Kutztown & Lancaster. Outstanding breakfast offerings. Clean and reasonable, all 8 of us were pleased and would definitely return.

This hotel is average to below average. The hotel and the rooms smell old. The tub, OMG the tub! The tub would not drain at all. The ceiling looked like it was going to fall any day. I arrive and was not warmly greeted by the staff. I do not recommend this hotel, Just not good!

Me and my wife wanted to get away from city life and wanted explore for weekend. Once we arrived at the hotel the staff greeted us warmly and suggested many things to do. A bonus was the hot breakfast that the hotel offered.

Stayed for just one night. Very comfortable room. Very friendly staff. We got there a little early, but they checked on our room and they let us check in early. Everything was very clean. Shower was great. Really enjoyed the breakfast. Evelyn and the chef were very friendly and hard working and wanted to make sure that we enjoyed everything. At checkout there were some folks complaining about a billing issue. Brittany, the young girl at the front desk, was very patient and tried her best to be helpful. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

We didn't wait long to check in and check out was a breeze. The staff was helpful and knowledgeable. I asked if there was a sandwich shop around and I was offered a few options. It made my weekend effortless and it was great.

This hotel was clean except for some mold in the tub which could only be seen if you were actually taking a bath and not a shower, and the pool tiles could use a good scrubbing. It is a little dated but comfortable. Staff was extremely courteous and helpful and handled the small criticism in a professional manner. Breakfast was a winner with lots of choices and for the price of the room made it worth the stay. The hotel was quiet considering it is on a highly traveled highway and there is virtually no noise in the pool area. All in all, a nice stay in an area close to antiquing in the antique capital of Pennsylvania.

Room was clean - average quality. Our room was 314 - and it was HORRIBLE - due to the extremely loud droning noise - either from the heat/ac unit/fridge or god knows what the hell it was. It gave my daughter and I severe migraine headaches. I won't stay here again - and if I had to - I would make sure that my room was as far away from 314 as it could possibly get. On another note - the breakfast was nice - and the gentlemen working there was terrific, helpful and friendly. The front desk staff was also great.

The free Breakfast was cold eggs cereal and packaged pastries. Room was ok. Front desk staff was average depending on who was working. We ate dinner and two breakfast at Deluxe Diner which was in the same parking lot. Reasonable and decent food.

Just needed a place for 1 night to get away from the daily routines at home. We were totally satisfied with this facility and would not hesitate to stay here again. Cleanliness and friendly staff are very important to us and this location met our expectations!

Easy check in, courteous service, available at all times, clean and breakfast was hot and well stocked. No complaints. Definitely one of the better Best Westerns. The entrance driveway is poorly marked and easy to pass. The new name brand BW does not stand out.

This hotel was excellent. The staff were helpful, courteous, and knowledgable. My only problem was the mattress. It was very uncomfortable but part of the problem could have been that I have a pillow top mattress at home.

From making our reservation to check-out we had no problems. The staff was courteous and helpful, the rooms clean and well supplied, the continental breakfast had many options of hot foods to bagels, free internet was used often. We stay here whenever we come to town.

We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It was very close to visit family and to do a little sight seeing. There is a great museum near by which my children really enjoyed. We will stay there again in the future.

Our room looked like a rather old type of a room with the sink in the open area, not in the bathroom with the toilet and tub. The room itself was clean and the beds comfortable. It was the breakfast that left a lot to be desired. It was the same everyday and things were not cooked but came from boxes and microwaved.

Spent one night here. Room smelled of smoke. Heat did not work. Said only other room was a "smoking" room. (Didn't think they existed any more). So they gave me two extra blankets. Took a LONG hot shower in the morning. Staff was nice. Manager? Usual breakfast. I'll look elsewhere next time.

Room was nice and clean, good quality bedding and towels, good area to walk dog, BUT, what was the filling in the only egg dish offered which looked like an omelet. For those of us with meat allergies, the filling was an unwelcome suprise.

We stayed at this location because of the easy access to the Santander Arena. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable. Many breakfast items to choose from. All and all and great stay.

Overall Im satisfied. Ive had better stays and other Best Westerns but usual quality service keeps me coming back. Hotel Staff was very nice and courteous very happy with that. Beds Pillows were a disaster. Worst Ive ever encountered. Made it very hard to sleep.. Bulb out on work desk, toilet paper just crumbles.. and wheres the Bacon?? Breakfast when Im on vaca should always have bacon.. Sausage and eggs left little to be desired and the lack of bacon... just terrible. Internet connection... kept turning off.. I think that sums it up. Id come back.. but Ill be bringing my own tp and pillows...

We booked this hotel to stay night of event--we arrived early and they were able to accommodate us with our room. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was the best we have seen for a hotel and staff kept refilling items as they needed so no one was standing around waiting for food.

We stay at this location every April for a yard sale event in area. When the property went from a Days In to a BW things got better. We find the rooms are clean and heater/ac is pretty quiet. (Of course I'd love to open windows but you can't). The breakfast was always excellent with eggs, sausage and waffles but this year they added premium things like crushed nuts, raisins, cranberries to top cereal or waffles and now have MULTIGRAIN bagels. The man setting up and refilling the breakfast gets extra kudos for his enthusiasm and making everything clean. The front desk folks are great too. Be aware that they accept pets and try to ask for a room not next door to a room with pets. In past years guests have left a dog in room and we hear it crying or barking. My other great tip is to go to Gino's Cafe Italian Restaurant less than 5 minutes away. They have other menus in lobby byt not Gino's and I'm always surprised the staff hasn't been there. GREAT Italian Dinner with huge portions and a BYOB (Bring own wine or beer). Great for breakfast and lunch (though we are always there for dinner. Google "Gino's Cafe Shillingtom" for menu. I don NOT have a financial interest in it. I just LOVE it.

We stayed at the Shillington/Reading Best Western Plus Saturday April 23. Easy check in, check out, comfortable beds, full breakfast, perfect stay! We used Best Western points so it was a free nights stay. Overall it was a perfect weekend!

We chose the Best Western after an online search. The price was right, the location suited us, and there was a diner located in front of the hotel that was quite good. We are happy with this selection. The young lady (Brittany) who checked us in was perfectly pleasant, efficient, and helpful to us to travel to our local destination that evening. Our room was upgraded from a queen to a king without any discussion. Clean room and comfortable bed, with a hot breakfast the next morning. Good deal all around. All service people were good and the hotel was quiet. There is an outdoor pool, but it was April and there was no water in the pool. Made sense to me! There was good access to Route 222 and the PA Turnpike (I-76 toll road). We would definitely return to this hotel in the future.

The hotel was convenient to where we were visiting. The room was very nice and clean. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was better than most because of the hot items (eggs, omeletes, etc.)

The Best Western Plus Shillington PA, was a wonderful place for our family to stay while visiting relatives here near Shillington. The breakfast was great, the room was very clean and comfortable, and all the employees were exceptionally friendly. I will definitely stay again if I return to Pennsylvania to visit our relatives again!

Great accommodations overall. Two nights stay was made very pleasant by the staff. Very clean common areas and rooms. Bedding very comfortable; rooms quiet (at least on the 4th floor where we stayed). Could not ask for a better, more restful hotel for our stay. Breakfast room is spacious; breakfast food fresh and a very nice variety. Will stay here again if/when the opportunity exists. Great value for the cost, too!

My overall stay was very nice. Stayed for two nights in April. Room size was nice, with nice furnishings and everything was very clean. All the Staff I came into contact with was very friendly. Breakfast each morning was nice, hot and plentiful. Located off of Rte 222 so close to highway but outside of City limits. A diner and pizzeria within walking distance made it nice to grab a bite to eat.

My husband and I stayed for the night on our road trip back north. The staff was extremely friendly, accommodating, and helpful! The price of the room was reasonable, included breakfast, and the beds were very comfortable! It was the perfect stop for a couple of weary travelers. There are plenty of places close to the hotel to eat which was very convenient. If we return to the area we will definitely stay here again!

This is a fine hotel for our stays in Shillington, PA. Convenient to shopping, restaurants and leisure. Check-in and out was efficient. The staff is very nice and friendly. Breakfast is as good as most and well attended by staff. Good cookies are available in the afternoon.

Honestly going into this I wasn't sure what to expect considering a lot of hotels in the area didn't have great reviews. But I was surprised by what I saw. Walking in I was instantly greeted and the area was nice and clean. I went up to my room and found a nice big room with amazing beds. The shampoo and conditioner were actually a brand (Pantene) I recognized which is always a plus. The only down side was that there was a sign saying there were vending machines on my floor behind the elevators and my late night snacking hit and I found that there were in fact no vending machines. But that was OK cause I went out to my car and grabbed a bag of chips.

The hotel was okay. Have stayed at other BW Plus hotels, and this was just okay. Only 1 towels per person, and not that great. Room and hotel were clean. Breakfast wasn't the greatest. Eggs cold, pancakes to hard to eat. We went elsewhere the second morning. We had just stayed at a BW Plus in DC a couple weeks before, and they had a great breakfast, fluffy towels. I would stay here again, but I'm not sure it would be my first choice.

This hotel is truly a hidden gem. Very clean, very well trained friendly staff. I have stayed for 3 weeks, and they have made me feel like it was my "home away from home". Everyone from Jesse, the manager, to Jose, the morning breakfast host, are all first class, and enjoy what they do - it shows! Be prepared for great service, "the way it used to be". (Would give 7 stars if it were possible!)

It was very clean and in a nice area. I would recommend this hotel. We travel frequently for pleasure and this is a good value for your money! They had fresh cookies when we arrived and the staff was friendly and helpful. It's close to the VF outlets as well.

My wife and I stayed here on business for one night. This property is excellent in all areas. Staff was helpful and cheery. The rooms were well appointed with furnishings and very clean. The bed was very comfortable. We appreciated the refrigerator and microwave. The room was quiet from outside noise. WiFi worked well in the rooms. Breakfast was better than average with many offerings that were kept available by Jose. Hotel 6 minutes drive to Adamstown for antiquing and about 40 minutes to Lancaster, Pa. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

Great beds and a southern hospitality that is All Northern. Quick and diverse continental breakfast with quality fruit choices, and hot premade eggs, sausages, and Danish. Free wifi and TV in dining area. Great value all around. The staff add to the value and feeling you get upon entrance.

We stayed here because of wrestling. Check-in and out was easy. The continental breakfast was best I had in a long time, many fresh options and large selection to chose from. Fruit, cereal, muffins, coffee, eggs, waffles, pancakes even yogurt and individually wrapped danish.

I stay in hotels aprox 20 - 30 nights/year, and in my experience most hotels require a photo ID with form of payment from the person who has the reservation. But for this hotel, ALL non-minors who are staying in a room must have photo ID. This hotel is strict about the rule, so be ready one and all who plan to stay, even if the rez is not under your name, you need photo ID. I want to acknowledge Stephanie, at the front desk, who was very patient, understanding and helpful. King room was spacious, clean, quiet and temp control worked well. Beds were comfortable, not too hard/soft, but sheets were worn and felt like sandpaper. Sink is outside toilet/shower room. Inside of fridge and microwave were clean. Cannot comment on any amenities/breakfast.

Stayed for 14 days. Had a great experience at this Hotel. Staff was very Professional and Helpful. Excellent experience. Breakfast was very well set up and a good variety of breakfast foods to choose from.Hotel staff was extremely professional and helpful.

I stayed here one night while in town on business. My room was clean and comfortable and the price was right. My room had no funky hotel smells and I was happy there was a refrigerator in the room. The bed was comfortable however I was glad I brought my own pillow. The continental breakfast left much to be desired, hash browns were cold as was the eggs and sausage. Someone was smoking down the staff hallway with the door open and the area leading to the breakfast area reeked of cigarette smoke.

The hotel and employees were average no one really went out of their way to make my stay enjoyable. They checked me in and that was that, no offer of amenities or anything. I ahve stayed there twice because its close. I have never had a bad experience but it also wasn't note worthy either.

Very nice clean hotel Breakfast area needs some improvements to keep the hot foods hot. Everything in the hot area was cold. We had to use microwave to warm items up Overall the hotel was good. Very comfortable beds and nice hot water for showers. Staff was very willing to help with any issues we had and very friendly.

My significant other and i decided to go to the Great American Outdoor Show in Harrisberg then visit the Cabelas in Hamburg. We stayed overnight in Reading and overall it was a nice place. Calm and quiet, the staff were very friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was yummy and had lots of options. The only negative was dealing with key cards. On 2 separate occassions i had to go back down to the front desk to have them reactivate both of my key cards. It wasnt a huge deal, just a little inconvenient. Other then that we were very satisfied and would consider coming back. Nice job.

My husband and I stay here at least two weekends out of a month to visit our children and grandchildren who live very close to the hotel. The hotel is average, but very accommodating to our needs. The rooms are nice, we only really sleep there, The internet service has been upgraded and is very good. The TV service is not all that great, if that is important to you. I could care less, I can stream movies and live TV on my computer. We have stayed there throughout the year and never really had a major problem or dissatisfaction with the hotel.

Wife and I unexpectedly had to stay overnight this past Friday and ended up here. The place was very clean and the staff were very kind. We ended up with a room change but that was only because they were dead and the key they gave us did not work so when I went to the desk I joked with them about upping our room for the extra walking we had to do :). The gentleman laughed and gave us a larger room. We just love it when we get to meet people who are in the service industry and know how to joke and just get along with people. Anyhow, this place is close to the highway, has a diner right out front which I was told was really good and most importantly right up the road is good ol Dunkin Donuts. We would definitely stay here again in the future.

We stayed here over Dr. King holiday-weekend. We stay here always. When we visit family. Front desk female(stephanie) was excellent & very nice. Dinner in front of hotel is great also 2. Hotel very close to every thing as well. Excellent stay all around.

It is a nice hotel that is kept clean. Staff is helpful. The breakfast is nothing to write home about but it is free and well stocked. It is easy to reach from the road and has a very nice diner in front of it.

We checked in after 10pm and checked out before 9am. It was a quick stay, but a perfect one as we were traveling with our 2 greyhounds and the pet fee was only $15! Since the room included a King bed and sofa-bed, the additional floor space was convenient for the dogs to have their own area to lay down and relax. The room was very clean and had the basic amenities, which was adequate for our stay. The hotel was well maintained and nicely decorated-- probably a notch or 2 above the average Best Western brand. The complimentary hot breakfast was a big plus, too! Also, the staff was very friendly and helpful-- especially Holly. She found a local restaurant that still delivered after midnight on a weeknight! Wow--major points for that!

Our stay was very nice. The staff was professional, the breakfast was delicious and our room was comfortable and pleasant. It was a great way to spend our anniversary. The only thing we missed was the pool and spa.

I was very impressed. I believe this hotel may be fairly new. Very clean rooms along with the rest of the hotel. We had a king room. Concierge staff very accomodating and nice. Held our luggage for us behind their desk while we had a car appt.on check out day. Nice hot breakfast. Convenient location to 222. Would stay here again.

The hotel is near Amish Country so it was a good choice to rest before driving a long haul to our next stop. Maintenance of room is acceptable but not grand, the shower had mold and mildew...the sheets on bed did not feel fresh.

The Hotel is very clean and the service was great. The breakfast bar had so much food to choice from and well worth it. The eggs had to be reheated in the microwave however overall they get an "A". Will stay there again.

The Best Western in Reading Pa. was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. As soon as we entered the lobby we were greeted and welcomed. The staff were helpful and pleasant. The room was very quiet and the bed was excellent! The continental breakfast was better than we have had in other hotels and manned by the sweetest gentleman! He went out of his way to be helpful! I would highly recommend this hotel!

Appealing rooms and inviting common areas - nicely decorated for the holidays. People friendly and pet friendly staff too. During previous visits to Reading, PA we've stayed at the (1) Inn at Reading, (2) Quality, and (3) Country Inn & Suites and this Best Western Plus far exceeds these other hotels in quality, appeal, and value. It was a very positive experience and will book again for future visits to the Reading, PA area.

I only stay to cut my drive, so much is not needed or a worry. As long as clean and friendly, I am happy. I appreciated the array of nearby restaurants and conveniences. Easily getting gas and back to interstate was great.

Was a very nice hotel. Well worth the visit. We were traveling with our two small pets which is usually a very hard thing to do but the hotel was wonderful. The breakfast was very nice. Cannot beat this hotel.

There was hair and residue in my Jacuzzi.The room smelled stale,and musty.The breakfast was great.The server was excellent,we left him a big tip.I booked for a Jacuzzi room because it was my anniversary.I was promised hearts on the bed and rose petals.When we got there,after a five hour trip,there was nothing.

If anyone is looking for a quick place to stay that is clean with friendly and helpful staff I would recommend the Best Western. I have stayed in several Best Westerns and my experience has been great. The rate was very reasonable as well

The staff is always pleasant, the rooms clean and breakfast great. Always get a great rate, very convenient for us as we work in the area couple times a month. Will absolutely stay there again very soon.
