"Not BestWestern grade"

User 12/08/2019

We stayed here on our Best Western points so thankfully not out any money but still lost our points. The beds seemed clean but we didn't sleep very well because there were so many bugs in the room. The toilet wouldn't flush and was leaking and just filthy inside. We didn't complain as it was the middle of the night and the last room available as there was a car show in town. But just wasn't what we are used to with Best Westerns.

"Misleading"

Rooms are very old and have a musty smell to them. Gnats and bugs in the room just grossed me out. Didn't sleep very well, because it felt like bugs crawling on my all night. Bed was extremely hard and there were stains on the bedding and bedskirt. Pictures did not portray what hotel actually looked like.

"Shame on Best Western"

As a loyal Rewards member, I am very disappointed with the Best Western for allowing this property to be part of their brand. First room I was assigned had several concerns: the security bar was missing from the door, the desk light was missing a bulb, and the comforter had a cigarette burn (in a non-smoking room). I went to the front desk and was assigned another room. The second room had stained towels. And the internet connection was non-existent. The desk chair was very worn. The property grounds are dirty and unkempt. When staff was asked for "clean" towels to replace the stained ones, he brought me a stack of towels - no wash clothes. When I asked for wash clothes, he responded "I am not the cleaning person." When I tried to get assistance with the internet connection, staff were quick to point out that they were connected via the cell phones - somehow implying it was only my concern because no one else complained. I will be personally directing my complaints to the CEO of Best Western because I feel the integrity of the Best Western brand is at risk.

"Worst Best Western affiliated hotel ever! This place needs to be razed - avoid it!!"

On a recent trip through central Kansas, I decided to give this SureStay Hotel a try. After all, it was a Best Western affiliated hotel, and I'm a regular BW customer. It was a very bad decision. The Positives about hotel: Mattress on bed appeared new, the bathroom sink was new, and room appeared to be clean overall. They had a breakfast service, but see later comments. The Negatives about hotel: Where do I start? The property is located near several truck stops, and there are not many nearby restuarants (just a few fast food places). When you drive up to hotel, it looks like the worst Motel 6 you've ever been to - there is a closed gas station on front of property, a closed restaurant adjacent, and old style 2 story balcony type construction. It appears there are long term residents on one end of the property (BBQ cooker was sitting in front of one room, muddy shoes outside of others, and several trashcans to catch leaking water from overhang were in the walkway). Checkin was fine, but no elevators of course so luggage has to be dragged up stairs. Room was terribly outdated, other than the bed and TV it appeared the rest of furniture came from a local garage sale. Cracks in ceiling, light switch plate was hanging on wall at 45 degrees (could see the wires), similar lack of detail in shower area with pipe out of wall and a big exposed hole. Bed was OK, and TV worked fine, room appeared cleaned but the carpet was old shag and you were afraid to walk on it. Breakfast had biscuits and gravy and a waffle maker, and that's pretty much it other than juice machine and cereal. Coffee had ONE carafe of regular coffee, which of course was empty. I literally sat there for 15 minutes before an attendant showed up to check on things, and refilled the one dispenser with coffee - not good breakfast service. I was happy to get the heck out of there, as quickly as possible. The only solution I see for this property is to totally raze it to the ground, and rebuild it - it looks over 50 years old, and isn't anywhere near a BW property expectation. It was cheap, but for $30 saved it wasn't worth it, not even close - avoid this property is my recommendation.

"Great Service"

I love the prices and it's an amazing staff! The rooms are clean. Very good breakfast! Pool was very clean and inside which made it better for me and my family. Patio area is good and there's a very helpful older lady that made sure everything was good for me and my family couldn't ask for a better stay!

Paying 80.00 for one night stay is a bit ridiculous given the pool being closed down, laundry facilities OUT OF SERVICE BEING!!ies out of service being charged 202.00 over expecting refund being told 3-5 buisness days to be back pre paid debit card relying on funds as transitioning to new residence, april 19th may 1st im unable to pay for remaining balance for unknown reasons. loving the remodel staff is great choice customer service is literally the worst !!!!!!!!!

We were arriving late and leaving early, did not need anything more than a bed. Looked on Choice Hotels because we try and keep to our points program. Price was $51 so I looked at the reviews and most were very positive. We arrived at 11p and the desk clerk quickly got us checked in and a room key. The room was a 2 bed Queen and the room was huge, although the bathroom was barely big enough to get in and close the door. We were very happy with our stay and could easily stay several days here. My only complaint would be the small old fridge in the room. The rest was great. They did show a hot breakfast but we did not go to breakfast and the pool was closed for maintenance

"Great customer service!"

I called all surrounding hotels and had plenty of rooms at each, different pet fees, pool options and Cindy at the Econo lodge was the only one who offered us a discount on 2 nights since we would arrive around 5am and weren't technically staying 2 nights. It was very kind of her to offer, I didn't ask any other hotel since I understand it doesn't change needing to hold the room and use the same staff no matter how long any other customer would stay. Megan opened up the breakfast area and gave us plenty of extra towels and blankets to keep house keeping from waking us up during our backwards sleeping schedule. The place was clean and Tyler helped us check out quickly and every one was friendly and went above and beyond to accommodate our trip. Thank you!

"A Great Stay For a Great Price"

Passing thru in the late hours of the night, I stopped here. The place is std., for this chain, but @ $51.00 total for the night...always. The breakfast was again std., for the chain, the only hot item was biscuits and gravy. Still, it is the middle of no where. I'd stay again. Pleasant staff.

We stopped here for an overstay headed home from Georgia. The hotel is located off I-70 and near to several restaurants. The room had a king bed, clean and clean sheets, a nice vanity sink but the faucet was not securely bolted down. There was a trash bin located near the room door which attracted a lot of flies. We called to complain and it took them 30-40 minutes to remove the bin. Other furniture in the room was dated except for the TV, lamps and desk chair which was too big to fit under the desk. The lamps had plug-ins so you were able to recharge your electronics if needed. The hotel offered the basics for breakfast - continental. The hotel does have a pool and hot tub which are located in a different building across from the front desk area. This is a bit creepy at night, since there is very little lighting on the property. A little TLC is definitely need for this property. This is a decent place to rest your head after a long drive. Not 1st class but it will do.
