This hotel is located in a very convenient location to BYU. The staff I interacted with were very friendly on check-in and check-out. Those are my only positive comments. This hotel is very dirty. Carpets, floors, closet doors, ac/heat units are all very dirty. sheets and towels did not have stains, but they were rough and stiff. I will not be staying here again unless it is a last resort.
The hotel is in walking distance of the BYU campus, and we were there for a football game. Staff is friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well stocked with plenty of towels. Our room's heat/air unit didn't work properly, getting too hot and not cooling down on its own.
We'd was comfortable and room was clean. Shower curtain was very short and water pressure was lacking, but it was a great location and everyone was super friendly. The stadium was very close and walkable. Breakfast on Sunday didn't start early enough for us to get food. The electric vehicle charging station also didn't work.
Good room good bed need bigger pillows. Clean and nice—bathroom light flickering great breakfast nice greeting by employees good employees working the 10th around noon he verified reservation and got me a ground floor 118 room the was close to the main opening thank you
This hotel exceeded my expectations! The breakfast was great, our room was clean and very spacious, and everyone was so nice. I would totally book this hotel again (and will), and I can happily recommend it to others. It is the best of the affordable hotels I have stayed at in Provo.
the room was clean and comfortable. They had several items to choose from for breakfast. The lady in the kitchen were always there if you had questions. We were very happy with the overall service. On my next trip I will pick only Best Western.
Front desk person discriminated my family! Her customer service skills are poor and she shouldn't be working there in the first place!! The eggs for breakfast were horrible too, like eating plastic, really nasty! I definitely do not recommend this place at all!!
We have stayed at this hotel twice in the past month. The staff is wonderful and the rooms are nice and well kept. The continental breakfast is delicious and features a good variety of items to choose from. We plan on staying there again if given the chance. It also has a really nice deck and patio in the back, overlooking a small waterfall and pond.
The location was easy to find and off the interstate. BYU football stadium was behind us and the mountains were just gorgeous! We had a very nice room that was quiet, had a comfy bed and all the amenities you'd need for an overnight stay. The free breakfast was great with a lot of options. We enjoyed our stay for the night.
I was here for 3 nights. The rooms were very clean and spacious. The staff was courteous and helpful. The breakfast was typical.. cheese omelet or scrambled eggs, sausage and a variety of cereals, yogurt, make your own waffles. Plenty of parking, easy in and out access. I'd stay here again.
I am giving this hotel a 4 because everything was wonderful EXCEPT the Wi-Fi. It was the worst I have ever experienced in any hotel. The breakfast was very tasty and there was a good selection of foods. All the room amenities besides the Wi-Fi were also very good.
Utah is Amazing but you need to be aware when traveling. You have to pay attention. Lesson learned by me back in July. We stayed at the Best Western Plus Provo University Inn (1600 N Freedom Blvd, Provo, UT) The room was excellent, and the location was ideal for our needs. However, I encountered a serious issue with the hotel staff, including management, who were allegedly involved in an attempt to steal my personal belongings. My backpack, containing $850, went missing, and despite making eight calls to the hotel, they consistently denied any knowledge of its whereabouts. However, my EarPods, which were in the backpack, started pinging from the hotel's location. Someone was going through my bag. Even after this, the staff continued to deny having the bag. It remained in their possession for four days before I had to involve the police to retrieve it. Nobody was helping. The first officer who responded was dismissed by the staff. It suddenly appeared after a second officer, 6 hours later was sent. This incident has raised significant concerns about the integrity and trustworthiness of this hotel chain. After numerous call to corporate, Best Western has wiped their hands, won't do anything, saying it was because I called the police. Who else could I call when the hotel won't respond? Now I have to fly out to Utah from Virginia, missing work, on my own expense to retrieve my belongings. Until I find a resolution to this, I will be reposting this every opportunity all over social media Managment was impossible to reach and simple claimed ‘so sorry but you called the police' on a review response. (Their only response to me) Who else could I call? Seriously? Stay away from dishonest, unaccountable people like this.
It is a nice and clean motel that is very quiet. The lady that was working that evening was nice and friendly and made sure to explain what amenities they had. Breakfast is good and their juice is the best. I will for sure be staying there again in the future.
Really enjoyed our stay, staff was very nice and friendly. Hot tub is in need of a little update but it was fine. Alexis greeted us and was very kind and helpful. My partner thought the bed could've been firmer but it was still comfortable. We'll be back when we're in the area.
If you like firm beds you'll be satisfied, but I wasn't. Both outlets on the light fixtures next to the bed didn't work. Complimentary breakfast was better than expected and staff kept it well-stocked. Had standard-sized pillows on king-sized bed... I prefer larger pillows.
Very clean and well presented room. Had a great view of the mountains. Kudos to the front desk on the smooth check in/out and customer service. Housekeeping did a great job on cleaning and providing plenty of towels. Continental breakfast was outstanding.
The hotel was clean, inside and out, and it was in a nice area. We felt safe leaving our car in their parking lot. We had a lovely, quiet room too. The front desk staff was friendly and happy. Breakfast was also wonderful. We will be staying there again soon.
Very friendly and receptive staff. Had plumbing issues in my room - they gave me extra room to use till they were able to change my room to an appropriate replacement room. Very good breakfast food too ! This was my second stay there within a month, and definitely more to come!!!
Room was nice with a comfortable bed and clean room. Staff was very helpful for finding solution to an issue we encountered. Beautiful hotel with easily accessable food options nearby including and amazing Indian food place right next door.
Do not recommend this hotel. We had a king suite. The air conditioner did not work, the refrigerator did not work, dirty Q-tips on the bathroom floor, food on the floor such as potatoe chips, and the carpet was grimy dirty. Some of the front desk staff were on the ball, others not so much. The manager gave us a $50 reduced fee and 500 points in response to our complaints. Others in our party also had dirty rooms.
Older hotel in need of upgrading. Staff was friendly & mostly helpful. Tried to accommodate our requests. Room wasn't completely cleaned when we checked in ( bathroom Needed moping). The indoor pool water was murky and the hot tub was stained a brownish color ( the water was clear). Will thing again before booking here, again.
I always have a pleasant stay there in Provo it's amazing and the people at the front desk are just so accommodating I'm so grateful that you have such an amazing staff thank you for all that you do for me to make my stay pleasant I hope that you hire more people like the ones that I have experienced Eddie in the morning I can't remember the girl that worked in the afternoon she was amazing she gave me a nice treat and a card for being a diamond elite member just made me feel real comfortable praise God for you guys
Won't stay here again. Not clean at all. Elevators were broke, breakfast was sad, floor smelled like marijuana. We stayed here when it was the Courtyard and it was great, but now under BW it appears to be a sanctuary hotel. Keep looking! Won't be back ever!
Awesome experience! Check in was quick, superb customer service, we will revisit again! Room was clean, bed was comfie, coffee was awesome. Hotel is close to everything especially restaurants. I forgot the young lady that checked us in but she was first class!
We have stayed at this location many times before. It was sad to see that the upkeep and quality falling apart so quickly. The grounds used to be very nice but now they were not kept up. The lobby used to provide a big water cooler for guests which is no longer available. The hot tub still has issues even after a few years. Needs a new water pump. The bathrooms in our room had very dirty corners like someone was trying to quickly clean the main floor area but not pay attention to the details. The appearance was not very good with the dirt and hairs crammed into the corners. Also, our internet did not work well unless we were next to a certain wall. That particular room needed a booster installed. We will try it again because it is in a good location and we have loved it before. Hope they can get their act together and maintain their property. The front desk staff were great and very proactive and helpful.
The staff was friendly and professional, the bed was very comfortable, and the breakfast had a lot of great options. We stayed in a room with a king-size bed and a twin-size sofa bed, and I was surprised at how spacious it was. I would absolutely stay again.
Other than our room being given away because of an issue with Expedia, it was great. We were put in a King room with pull out couch that didn't fit our family of four but after a lot of back and forth management at least gave us a financial benefit.
Room was comfortable and quiet but it took five minutes of running water to get hot water. Not an exaggeration, maintenance person was there helping and timing. Rules require 200 words even if one has nothing more to say(185) so that is why this continues.
The hotel has recently been upgraded with new carpet and it looks brand new. The location is conveniently located next to BYU and the Provo business districts. The rates are the lowest by 10% to 20% vs similar properties. The breakfast waffles are my favorite. And best of all, using the Talsey AI app, they specifically took my feedback and upgraded the oatmeal selection. I love that app by the way.
We were greeted immediately upon entering the hotel, checking in was a breeze, our guest room was very clean and comfortable, had a great nights sleep, very quiet. Enjoyed breakfast in the morning, lots of choices, started our day off perfectly. Would stay here again
Dingy dirty rooms, hair everywhere, stains all over gross very old carpet, blood spatter up the wall in bathroom. Disappointed
I highly recommend!! The young lady that checked us in was very nice and friendly. Very clean and nice! Breakfast was awesome. The kids had a great time at the pool. It was very clean. I liked the fact the room was nice and cool after a long day at the track meet.
Great value. I was able to use my points for a free night. The hotel was clean, modern and close to my business meetings. I hadn't been to Provo in many years and was pleased to find a good hotel so close to the university. I also loved that there was a great Indian restaurant on the premises.
Excellent service, I hope you will have one in Milford, Utah. We stayed this time for 3 days in Wyndham, worst experience we had and no other choice over there. Inland port is coming to Milford, so we expecting one nice hotel like yours coming there.
When I stay at a Best Western Plus HOtel I expect a higher standard of room, service and amenities. This hotel met all my expectations.
The handwritten note thanking us for staying was appreciated. Room was great. It was an easy on and off 80. The staff gave us good restaurant recommendations. The room was clean, bed comfortable and updated hallways showed it was cared for.
I was completely happy with our stay. The young men who worked at the desk when I checked in were so friendly and welcoming. The hotel was nicer than I expected especially for the price, it was a great value all around! I will always stay at that best Western location when I am in Provo.
We stayed in this motel a month ago and had a good stay. The lobby and dining are shiny new, the rooms slightly shabby but perfectly clean and comfortable. Unfortunately, the service is uneven! I'd enjoyed breakfast before, but on this visit it was pretty terrible; waterlogged eggs and runny oatmeal, plus out of milk. The blueberries had mold and the brown sugar was filled with bread crusts (I know that this softens it but it's not a great presentation!) When we tried to check out in the morning there was a line of four, no desk clerk in sight. She was finally spotted taking a cigarette break in the parking lot, not close to the doors, turned away and wearing earphones or bluetooth, completely oblivious. After a 10 minute wait we all gave up and left, four unhappy customers.
We were visiting my grandmother who was in the hospital near by, and this was 5 minutes away. It was also close to the River Woods where I love to go eat at Seven Brothers. It was close to plenty of restaurants and shopping. The hotel itself is very clean, as was our room, breakfast was great, staff was friendly and checking in/out was fast and easy!
The view was breathtaking, they had almond milk!! Super helpful for this lactose intolerant guest. The staff was super helpful. they had great hot chocolate. The room was clean and well stocked. Quick check in.
Normal hotel with a good breakfast. The gentleman who checked us in really made the experience (not sure of his name, but he is the one who plays rugby). As we were walking away from him, my 13yo son asked if everyone in Utah is that nice? Haha. The ladies doing breakfast were also very nice. Thank you for still practicing customer service!
Th good is that the breakfast was nice. The main complaint was that the hotel and rooms are falling apart. Rug seams are taped in many places, carpets are lose in other area. Our neighbor had dirty towels. Our room was dirty and bedspread stained. I would say the worst part of the hotel is their housekeeping department which seems to be unsupervised. Management is not doing their job.
Everything was clean and up to date. We had six in our room with the fold out couch and it wasn't as wide as a full bed so it was tight. Otherwise everything was clean and in order. We enjoyed the breakfast as swimming in the pool. The staff was helpful and kind.
This property was lovely in terms of cleanliness and comfort. The only drawback was that the hot water in the shower was almost non existent (rather lukewarm). Also the breakfast is really lacking in healthy choices but is plentiful in terms of quantity. Otherwise, the staff were so helpful, friendly, and welcoming and is in a beautiful part of Provo.
Comfortable bed, good breakfast with hot oatmeal (not the instant packets) and fresh blueberries and almonds, discount for guests at onsite restaurant for dinner, which was elegant, delicious and good value
Our room carpet was very dirty. When you walked around the room in your bare feet and then stepped into the bathtub, it left black foot prints. The breakfast was great. The carpet is falling off in the stairways, and in many areas the carpet is tore. It is stapled together. The hotel needs new flooring throughout.
clean good staf good location always like best western good reward points system i like that a lot good breakfast very nice and clean everything i always recommend best western to everyone they will love it
We stayed here for 12 days. The place is nice on the outside and at a convenient location. The staff are very friendly and apologetic for the hotel's failures. BAD: the carpet in the room is filthy and absolutely needs to be steam cleaned, the breakfast is always the same with the eggs varying from scrambles or a horrible cheese omelet, twice room service forgot our requests for room cleaning (must be requested), the TV system was being updated but they forgot to update our room TV so we did without TV for a week (repeated requests for fixing it were ignored). AVOID THIS PLACE.
Crumbs, red spots & HAIR in our bed! Asked for new bedding, 30 min later I called the front desk -the woman forgot the room # Full hotel & ran out of food Pool closed Got a discount but was overcharged
Just showing its age. Feel like the AC 's need updating. Room smelled musty. Assumed would get room service, but no, forgot to put placard on door... Key didn't work second night... after two trips to desk, got it to work. Anyway, decent location, but starting to show its age
Has to be one of the weirdest Best Western experiences I've ever had with grumpy, stressed-out staff that had no problem expressing their displeasure with their job. Everything was either defensive or a pain in the you-know-what attitude. Moreover, the air conditioning system was so antiquated, it couldn't come close to cooling a room in a dry desert-like environment. My wife and I had to open the window to get any kind of relief through the night! Breakfast tables were very unclean but they did keep the food bar wiped down and tidy. No coffee in the lounge coffee center, which, in my opinion, is a cardinal no-no in the hotel business, especially at 8-oclock in the morning!
The hotel was very clean and room comfortable especially the bed. Breakfast was very good, lemon water was a plus. Hotel staff very pleasant and helpful plus in nice area and close to hospital where we were visiting family
This place was clean and quiet with the best motel breakfast we have ever had- lots of choices, crisp bacon. (We travel a lot). Wonderful staff. Only negative was there are no microwaves in the room and most restaurants are closed on sundays. The key cards do not work in the key slots so the doors are very hard to get open.
This place is a dump. I'm not sure when the last time was that corporate did an inspection, but it wouldn't surprise me if there was disciplinary action. It is generally dirty. The lobby and our room weren't too dirty but everything else was gross. Carpets are stained, bubbled up, and frayed. Air conditioning in our room was not working well at all. Workout area was missing a lot of the dumbells and AC was broken in there as well, so at least nobody else was using it. The breakfast eggs were... not actually eggs. Pillows were terrible. I know I'm missing things but this is a start.
Elevator broke...no offer to refund any money due to inconvenience. I am 67 years old and the staff offered no assistance or compensation for inconvenience. When we asked the front desk they indicated that they had no authority to do anything.
There was mold all over the bathroom, when I told the front desk they couldn't be bothered to even care. I wouldn't let any of my children shower in the bathroom as a result. There was also something red spilled over the walls in the room. Finally it was so incredibly hot in the hallways, felt like they had the heat on full blast in summer. We travel a lot and would never stay here again, the high ratings fooled me.
Our stay at Best Western was wonderful. A great place for families. The sofa bed solves all problems. The room was clean and everything worked. The bed was comfy and had plenty of pillows for everyone.
We enjoyed our stay. The pool and hot tub were clean and a pleasant temperature which is important to us. The ground were nicely kept, the staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fine, standard offering but certainly ok.
So the staff was super nice and was great about getting us what we needed. When I got to the room there was a pullout couch that I was setting up in which I found a pin which was mildly concerning. But the morning that we were leaving I was using the restroom and the ceiling fan (which was super clogged) was dripping grey water onto the toilet. Also, there was little bits of plaster from the ceiling all over the floor and the ceiling had brown spots. I didn't notice it until that morning because the shower water made my face break out in a rash. I reported it when we checked out in the morning. The room served its purpose because I had a place to stay but it was quite expensive for the result.
This hotel is falling apart and is in need of a good maintenance man! The first room was terrible and we were moved to a second room that we "settled on". It was not as bad. Poor quality for a "PLUS"!
When we got to our room the TV did not work but the front desk worker did all he could to try to get it working and when he couldn't he moved us to the room next to us. I think he went out of his way to try to fix the issue.
Dont be fooled by the front lobby glitter. The bathroom and washing sink were not clean before the next visitor would occupy the room. There were hair strands in the bath tub.The carpet in the room was dirty. There was no microwave in the room and the one available in the common area for public use was an antique rusted one with very low power. There wer no sheets and pillow cases available for the sofa bed and I had to go to the front desk and fetch everything.Best western charges a pricey amount of $120 room rent with bad service at this particular location.Would definitely not recommend this hotel
Hotel is not close to any major freeway, unless you know the area well you'll probably need GPS, that I saw a pool was not listed for this hotel but it does have a nice looking pool. However the room had some issues, shower curtain rod was broken, mini fridge didn't work, and the pull out sofa bed was missing sheets. This was after 8pm. When I asked for sheets I was told that they were in the laundry and they didn't know when they would be ready, about 30 minutes later they did bring sheets up
We booked a 2 Queen with a sofa bed room for six people. The sofa bed was a twin and an awful wiry mattress. One kid slept on the cushions. Pool was green and gross. Ended up asking a friend to swim in their Hotel's pool. Room was not clean either.
Our stay started with being told we had to wait 20 min until 3:00 to check in. So we waited with the car running to stay warm. Then we were put in room 209. Stay way from that room. It is right above the kitchen and the smell of greasy food cooking was terrible. The smell lasted all day. We asked to be moved first thing in the morning, and were told there were no more rooms types available that we booked. We could upgrade for a fee, or wait until later in the day to see if anything opened up. An hour later we talked to someone else and were immediately moved across the hall to an available room just like ours. Not sure why we were told no rooms available… The workout room needs attention. One of the 2 treadmills doesn't work, no wipes or hand sanitizer (both out), and it was hot in the room. I notified front desk of the wipes and heat, but nothing was done. Stayed that way the whole week. Housekeeping was great, however. We only asked for cleaning one day, but she did a great job. Even gave us extra towels. Our first room was very a little off-beds were sloppily made, bathroom not stocked well-but the second room we stayed in most of the week was great.
We stopped here for a one night stay heading to another destination. The room was very nice, clean and comfortable. The TV had access to our personal Netflix which was a great convenience with our kids. The Indian Restaurant inside was delicious but not kid friendly with the mild level of spice being pretty spicy and slower food service than our tired kids could handle. The pool was a little outdated but our kids still had a lot of fun. Overall, we'd definitely stay here again and plan to next time we're in town for a football game.
The wireless network signal strength was lousy. They did not provide daily room cleaning (such as fresh towels) though they did when specifically asked. The room key cards kept failing and I had to have them re-set three different times. The staff was great and very helpful.
Park at your own risk. Stayed here about 6 weeks ago and was issued a parking pass. Checked in this time and wasn't issued a parking pass. I asked specifically to be given a parking pass, and they said they had done away with the parking pass. Apparently I parked too close to Springhill Suites (there are no signs anywhere stating which spots are for which hotel) as all of the lot at Best Western was full, due to BYU fans parking and walking to the game. My car was towed and the bull was $475. Hoping a manager will help remedy the problem, it so far no one willing or able to help.
I forgot my dirty clothes, and when I went back to get them, may try to tell me I couldn't go in the room and get them myself, but I already got permission from the gal at the front desk. She said to me you don't have to be such a hag about it. Wow!
This is a beautiful facility with friendly staff. We showed up really late, without reservations, and rumdumb from driving too long. The desk clerk was great to work with. The facility is neat, clean, well maintained, and nicely decorated and very quiet. Our only regret is that we showed up too late to try the Indian restaurant - but the 24-Hr McDonalds just down the street took care of us.
It's nothing special. I've stayed in many Best Western Plus locations and this one is certainly on the lower end on my experiences. The rooms was for some reason really dusty, not sure if it had been empty for awhile or what. AC unit kind of worked but was screeching like a 3 year old, so ended up leaving it off the entire time. I like sleeping in a cold room so the AC not functioning properly made for some hot uncomfortable nights. Breakfast was ok, nothing special to say the least, but certainly not the worst I have had. Staff was great, but my comfort is more important to me than how the staff is. I will not return to this location.
The room lacked detail cleaning. I found sticky residue on the night stand which made me skeptical they were wiping down the furniture or at least doing it properly. Sometimes it's easy to miss these things so no biggie. The bathroom had a smell of mold and it was very strong. The internet was very slow. It was actually awful. They weren't able to do anything about it. For a Plus property I had higher expectations but there was nothing seriously wrong with my experience here.
The cleanliness of the hotel was not great—our bathroom had debris on the floor at check in and the fitness center was not clean. When checking in, we asked if we needed to have a parking pass since we knew there was an upcoming sporting event. We were told that they didn't have any printed yet, but we just needed to give them our vehicle information and the towing company would check with them before towing any cars. Imagine our surprise when we returned from the game and our car was gone! After waiting around for resolution, we were told that we'd have to pick up the car from the impound lot on the other side of town. Neither the hotel or the tow company would take responsibility, both blaming each other. It was a very frustrating way to end our vacation.
The staff is very friendly. Rooms are very nice. Bed was comfortable. They have an Indian restaurant attached with good food. Breakfast was very good. Close to BYU if that's what you're coming to Provo for. I'd stay here again.
They gave me a room that had a pee stained sheet and mattress. The odor was so bad in the room. The fitness center is filthy. It is evident that no one cleans it. The scrambled eggs taste like rubber. Worst experience ever!!!! What a waste of my free night award!!!!! I will never stay here again!!!!!
September 2022. We found ANTS in our bed, and on the walls in the morning in bedroom and bathroom. Hot Tub not working, had green algi stains and in the pool, looked scary. Had to change room at 9pm, they couldn't get air-conditioning working. Mentioned this to the Manager Jared Tillman, he didn't want to listen and was extremely rude. Other staff were great and nice. The Hotel LOOKS like it should be NICE... totally deceiving. Too many other choices in Provo, UT. A Motel 6 would have been better IMO.
This hotel is well maintained. Breakfast was very good. Hot breakfast items were hot and items were replenished often. There were lots of breakfast items from which to choose. Staff was available to keep the breakfast area neat. We would definitely stay here again.
Stayed at the BWP hotel on 8/14-18/2022. Covered in bites a few days later. My Dr. confirmed the bites were consistent with bed bug bites. Without seeing the bites, the manager denied it. He was rude!
Clean, functional, comfortable accommodations. Check in was quick, finding our room was easy, and parking was accessible for our needs.Hotel was a last minute necessity as previous plans had been compromised and we needed an overnight stay on our trip home. We were exhausted and everything went smoothly.
My husband and I stayed at this property as part of our 25th anniversary celebration. The staff was great, the room was lovely, the bed was not as comfortable as we would have liked, but it was great.
My husband and I got in on a late flight, and the lady at check in was kind enough to give us a later check out so we could get more sleep since we arrived at 4am. The inside was beautiful when you walked in! Probably one of the nicest I've stayed at, and I've even worked at a Best Western Plus.
We had a really good stay here. The hotel is clean and the rooms are comfortable. The options for breakfast are many and very good. The location is good - close to the northern part of Provo and not too far from Orem. There is also a nice view of the mountains.
Stayed here with son to go to a BYU baseball camp. The location was less than 5 minutes from the baseball field, which was great. The breakfast was good with waffles, eggs, bacon, and sausage choices. Only thing missing was the biscuits and gravy and chocolate muffins we had at our last stay in Omaha.
There was only one small issue with the water temp. Hot water would sometimes come out the cold tap which made it hard to regulate the water temp in the sink and shower. Sometimes the water was very hot and we couldn't get it to cool down to use it without feeling it was burning us.
This is a great location close to LaVell Edwards Stadium. The staff was friendly and helpful, and room was great. Even though it was a pretty busy morning staff kept the breakfast stocked well and the choices were great. Would stay here again.
I have come to expect nice rooms, breakfast, etc from Best Western Plus. This room was horrible. Enamel pealing with jagged edges in the bathtub, unable to control hot/cold and could not turn the water off completely. Loud banging noise every time the air conditioner came on. Found a bug in my bed. There is a Springhill Suites motel next to this motel. I would recommend trying to stay there. The rooms couldn't be worse than they were in this motel.
We have stayed at this hotel several time in the past year. Everytime we have been met with fantastic service, perfectly clean rooms, and great experiences. Check in is always quick and easy. Breakfast is so delicious. The rooms are perfectly clean, bed is so comfortable. We have yet to have a bad experience at this hotel.
At checkin, I told the associate that I wanted to use a BW Gift Certificate. He asked if I had more than one; yes... so, he processed three gift certificates for me! The room itself was comfortable; parking was convenient. Hotel is located just off N. University Pkwy, west of N. University Avenue / US 189. Lots of restaurants and shopping to the northwest on N. University Pkwy.
We were desperate to find a new hotel as our first one was a disappointment. The man at reception was wonderful ! He quicly found a beautiful room and let us checkin early. What a lifesaver as we were due at an early wedding. The breakfast was great too!
It was a nice newly remodeled hotel. Everything was good except the hot tub jets didn't work. The hotel was clean and nice. The breakfast was your average hotel breakfast. The front desk was helpful and helped us with things were forgot to bring. The staff was friendly
Our toilet on the 4th floor and a couple we were withToilet was not working / overflowing. We moved late at night. At least they had a room for us. The couple we came had to try to plunge their own toilet as it was overflowing and had to use the toilet in the basement of the hotel. We asked for but received no compensations for our experience and no call backs when requesting to speak with management. Our experience with Best Western has always been good in the past so we were quite surprised by this.
From the moment you walk in to when you leave, you feel well taken care of. Hotel is super clean and modern. It has certainly been updated. Beds are so comfortable and linens feel that they belong to a resort. Staff are very personable and professional. And if you are looking for a great meal, The Tandoori Grill is connected to the hotel and the food is so good.
We were part of a group that was supposed to stay at the Best Western Plus in Provo, UT starting on Thursday, 03/10/2022. There were five kids with us who quickly changed after checking in to go to the pool with two adults. The pool was dirty. In addition to some garbage swimming in the water, there was something brown in the water that looked like it had accidentally fallen out of a diaper. It was very disappointing for our kids who really wanted to swim and play in the pool. One of the moms asked the kids to wait and went to the front desk to ask if the pool could be cleaned. A manager by the name of Jared was called to the front desk, and when he arrived he was told about the problem in the pool. He asked to give him a minute and started doing something on his computer. There were no other customers around and he was not interrupted as he just came in, so it looked like he was just stalling while the kids in their bathing suits were waiting by the pool and this mom was waiting by the front desk. Jared's minute turned into twenty minutes. This mom then very politely reminded Jared that she and a group of impatient kids were still waiting for his response. Jared became aggressively rude. He threatened to close “his” pool so our kids would be unable to use it at all. He actually referred to everything in this hotel as "his" - "his" exercise equipment, "his" coffee pots, "his" front desk, "his" pool. He was rude, obnoxious, condescending, and very unprofessional. And he wouldn't give his last name because, as he said, this information was private. His behavior was shocking and totally unacceptable. The woman's husband tried to very calmly and politely talk to Jared, but Jared cut him off very rudely. And then, Jared called police, and when two officers arrived, he asked them to escort this woman and her family out of “his” hotel. And he threatened to press charges against them for trespassing if they did not leave in 20 minutes. Why? Because a problem in "his" pool was very politely pointed out to him? One of the police officers tried to talk to Jared saying that his actions did not make any sense and were totally uncalled for because this woman was very polite and respectful when she expressed her concerns about the pool. Long story short, this family had to leave. I can only imagine how embarrassing, hurtful, and traumatic this incident was for them and their kids. They are well-known, accomplished and very respected teachers who know really well how to deal with people. I was stunned and extremely upset. How is it possible that something like this happens in America? Do we as customers have any rights at all? Are we supposed to happily use a dirty pool in fear of upsetting Jared? Or be quiet about something outrageous like this? I have asked those police officers if there was a sanitation department in their city that could come in and check this hotel's pool, but was told that this hotel is a private business, and the city has no control over it. In other words, folks, if Jared decides to place some poison into that pool, the city would not help, and if we politely ask to clean it, Jared has the right to kick us out of "his" hotel. So basically, it looks like we as consumers, have NO rights at all at the Best Western Plus in Provo, UT! This incident was very upsetting for me and my family. I had trouble sleeping and felt very unwelcome in this hotel. I would have switched hotels, but I knew that Jared would make sure we did not get our money back. My granddaughter was so traumatized by Jared and his actions that she refused to eat her breakfast downstairs – she was afraid he'd arrest her if she did something that was not up to his liking. Every time I went downstairs she begged me not to talk to him or even look at him so he could not arrest me or throw us out. This guy had successfully managed to ruin our stay at this hotel. I am about to go on social media and call for a boycott of this hotel. With Jared working there they do not deserve our business; but, most importantly, we might be unsafe staying there. I strongly recommend to avoid staying at the Best Western Plus hotel – very strongly!!! There are so many nice, friendly and welcoming hotels around that area that are a lot more deserving of our business. As to everything else, there isn't anything in this hotel to rave about. The king bed with the sleeper sofa is small and uncomfortable for a family of three. We stayed there for four nights, and our room was not cleaned even once. Trash cans in the room were full - we did not know where to empty them. And, frankly, is it really our job to do this? A very small bathroom did not have towels or shampoo bottles when we arrived. There were no linens for the sofa. I had to go downstairs and get it all at the front desk and bring it upstairs - they did not have anyone to bring it for us. We stored used towels on the floor - nobody came in to remove them - not even oce. All of that makes me think this hotel is overpriced.
this hotel tries to improve, and it shows each time we visit. The Indian restaurant on site is amazing! cannot beat the value and location. we come here 10 times a year at least. Love the mountain views
The room smells of mold, wallpaper falling off the wall, ceiling falling in over the shower, and the hotel staff said they were “unable to upgrade me for any inconvenience because I booked on Best Western.com rather than calling them direct.” WHAT? We stayed here for 8 days. Several of the days there was no warm breakfast. The days there was a warm breakfast the quality of the eggs was poor and there was general apathy from the breakfast staff. Stay next door at the Marriott. We stayed there before. It is a nice clean well maintained hotel.
This hotel should be called Best Western MINUS. We booked 2 rooms for my daughter and 4 grandkids. When we checked in the room my daughter booked had been given out already. Instead of 2 queen beds we got a king and sofa bed. The sofa bed had no sheets or bedding and we had to go to check in to get linen. We unfolded the sofa to find a very thin twin size mattress that 2 teens couldn't sleep on. One had to triple up on the king bed. My Grandkids wanted to go swimming but the pool was too cold to swim in. They jumped in and got right back out shivering. The hot tub was nice but no pool towels. They only had 2 towels in the room for 4 people. Breakfast was from 7 to 10am. Their hot breakfast was cereal, yogurt and make your own waffles. If you wanted a waffle they ran out of plates around 8:30 and only had small bowls. Around 9 the waffle batter was removed. The king bed was OK, a little on the hard side. They have no hair dryers(you need to bring your own) or microwaves in the rooms, only a small fridge. For a supposedly up scale Best Western this is unusual. The check in staff didn't care and were quite rude. No manager there at check in or out to help.
Nice view just across the street from LaVell Edwards Stadium. Easy access to and from the hotel. Clean Hotel with a nice breakfast. At times it seemed they were a little short handed, but during these times it was expected.
The hotel was average. The breakfast was still very limited and they had problems with refrigeration. So there was no hot foods or cold cereal, just dried out pastries. The drawer in the room dresser was broken and missing. The shower water was only warm, hard to get hot. Other than that, it was an okay stay. The staff were kind and helpful, the pool was fun, and the room was clean.
We walked into the lobby to check in and it smelled like dirty diapers. Our room smelled the a ton cat pissed everywhere. Got a new one, it was occupied. Got a third one with semen on the chair, not hot water, and mold!
Very friendly staff. This was our 3rd visit to this property. It was very convenient for our family business. This property is located very close to the Lavell Stadium and would be handy to stay during University activities. There were some maintenance and housekeeping issues, but new help was looking into resolving them. Breakfast was OK, nothing special and was limited on a few items. I blame that on the COVID staffing issues.
Where do I start. I've read other reviews about the owner not caring and must be greedy. I agree 100%. Here's what happened during our Stay there. When we arrived the front desk lady didn't know how to use the system. I paid by points with rewards. She didn't know how to get our room. She ended up charging us again, never was refunded. She said she do is a favor and pit us downstairs by the pool and jacuzzi. And she wasn't going to bother to pit us in the system and day shift can take care of it. The problem was the pool and jacuzzi was shut down and was almost for a month. The same lady didn't know how to do the keys. A week later I asked if she could re due my key because it wasn't working. 19 mins later no knocking nothing but her and housekeeping breaking into my room and saw me bare butt naked. She said that I had to leave or she was going to call the police on me. I asked her to leave kindly and she said for me to get upstairs asap. I got dressed went up told the new huh that she just broke into my room and threatened to call the police. He gave me some water and said to hold tight that they would call the supervisor and see what is going on. Found out everything was fine and the gave me a discount and a extra room next door. About 2 weeks later the regional manager knocks on our door my older daughter answered and Sharon the Regional manager starts yelling at my daughter and belittled her. And said that we weren't in the system again, and we had to leave. Finally I went up stairs to fix the problem. The supervisor wasn't putting us in the system because we was paying cash. Big mistake. We was told it would be better to pay cash to save. And yes we was getting a better rate but now they won't give me my points in rewards because of the discount. They also had a police man come and do a report on the money. I guess some was missing. It was only us the police was going to many doors that day. I had complained to the regional manager and the police about someone trying to break through our window 2 times. The regional manager didn't care about that only the money missing from the front desk. I told Sharon the regional manager that they have a responsibility to protect their customers. That it's not the customers fault that they hire bad employees. Other huge problems. They say and I feel it's fraud that they go by CDC guidelines BIG LIE. When we arrived our room beds where not made and dirty. Dirty towels crap in the toilet. Dirty floors. Sharon regional manager didn't care. We couldn't get clean towels they were always out. Food Dirty gross and horrible. We even got sick from it. Regional manager didn't care. If we would of stayed 1 more week we would of received our taxes on the almost 4 weeks staying there. You ask why we stayed , it because we was getting a discount and I thought I would be receiving my reward points while staying there and it was during the holidays. If it wasn't for Sharon the regional manager our holidays would of been a lot better. I've never meet such an mean, nasty, rude, ignorant, regional woman manager in my whole 53 yrs of my life. They have a huge staffing issue. There was no general manager there the whole time we was there. Because of us complain and Sharon trying to hide all the issues. She text me instead of saying it to my face, that her qnd the owner would like us to leave in a week. No explanation, except our rate was to cheap.. Sharon also promised us a larger room we packed and waited almost a week. Kept on asking her about our room she said wait until one was available.lie. when I asked again she said she told my daughter that she told her there was not one big enough. Doesn't make since. Their ws onl 3 of us. We've stayed in bigger rooms there before. I feel there's nothing worst, low standing and no morals is when a nasty horrible meanest person lies, and lies about everything. Towards the end of the stay they had the whole crew except one walk out. The regional manager Sharon had to come in and try and charge. People waiting hours to be checked in and out. People waiting hours for breakfast that never came. Keep remembering other things. There's no hot water for showering or taking bath. Anyways this hotel is at its worst. Never had these issues all in one place and time. Never been treated so horrible in my entire life. For what complaining.? I wish the owner would sell. He does not care. Only about money. Someone seriously is going to get sick or hurt there. Oh by the way, the new front desk staff loves to show he's gun that he carries on him full time. I wonder but then I can sew why he feels like he needs to with the transients trying to break in all the time. Scary Scary Place . Sharon regional manager don't try and respond to this. Because your a mean nasty lier, that don't know how to treat people like humans. You really should look for a job where you don't have to deal with people because your rotten at it. You All Have Been Warned.
The hotel stay was fine. Nice people, and the room was fine, except as another review noted, wallpaper was peeling in the room. The issue was we stayed one night with Best Western points, only to discover after checkout we were charged for the night. Receipts and reservation info still show points used and a $0 charge, but my credit card was charged for the night; not just a pending incidental charge that would drop off; the charge posted to my card account. Called the hotel and the person said he would talk to his manager and look into it. Checked out a week ago, and the charge is still on my card. Will not try to use Best Western points in the future if you have to go through this trouble to use them.
30 minute check in, dirt in drawers and on table. There is a sign at the desk 24/7 saying that the staff is in the back and will be right up. I rang the bell 3x and waited for 30 minutes before the receptionist came up from downstairs! Then the check in process itself took forever. At another point we asked about laundry supplies (there is a permanent plaque in the laundry room stating that they were available at the front desk). Rang the bell and waited another 20 minutes before she came in from the back room with one shoe off and had no idea what we were talking about as far as laundry. She said she hadn't even been in the guest laundry room. Which was evident because it was pretty gross in there. Very strange experience for a hotel I thought had better standards.
We were sent to two different rooms that had not been cleaned from the previous guest. Another man went to more rooms than that and the one checking us him basically said he was not telling the truth. Once we got to a clean room it was nice. In the night, my husband smelled a terrible odor. Because of our check in nightmare, we will not stay here again. I can't believe it is rated as a Best Western Plus.
Room in need of attention. Wallpaper peeling in places, carpet showing excessive wear, drapery was hanging loose on one end. For the $'s paid there are newer properties in the Provo area at the same price.
We got in at 10:00pm and it took the clerk 3 minutes to figure out how to check us in. The clerk tried to make us pay twice as she couldn't find the reservation. Check out was also delayed similar situation.
Found a dirty black sock in room, toilet was disgusting, brown ring around it, smelled terrible. Lobby smells like mildew outside smelled like urine on the south side. Stain on coverlet. For the price I recommend the Marriot next door.
Really enjoyed the kind and friendly staff but wifi was weak. Note that due to staffing shortages you have to ask for your room to be cleaned if you are staying more than one night. I didn't ask for my room to be cleaned but I wish I would have at least one night.
First off I'm not sure how these people had such awful experiences, ours was super! The room was lovely. It had a balcony that looked into the garden and water feature. Bed was comfy and had lots of good pillows (a pet peeve of mine is too few pillows or - shudder - foam chip). Bathroom was immaculate. Price was good, staff were helpful and friendly and it was quiet; it's set back somewhat from the road which helped. Tiny complaints - water took a long time to heat up and the eggs at breakfast were too wet, but the sausages made up for it! Wonderful stay after a trying day!
Best Western Plus Provo University Inn Checked into the Best Western Plus in Provo Utah on September 21st 2021. The young lady at check in was very cordial and professional. Assigned us to room 210. My wife recently had a stroke, so movement and walking are limited. Upon entering the bathroom, I noticed the towel rack was laying on the counter, we had two bath towels no hand towels or wash cloths one bar of soap and no other amenities. I instructed my wife to stay in the room while I go and see about getting us another room, obviously this one isn't ready. Explained the situation to the receptionist, she apologized and said she could get us some wash cloths and hand towels. I said no I didn't want to get blamed for the towel rack laying on the counter. She assigned us the room next door, room 212. Upon entering the bath room, I noticed, we had one hand towel and one wash cloth, no soap, no bath towels, one shampoo, and the towel rack was barely hanging on wall. Back downstairs to the receptionist. At this point I'm thinking the rooms aren't going to get much better if not worse. Explained my situation, she said she would get us some bath towels, wash cloths, hand towels and soap, but they were having trouble getting shampoo. She seemed to be having trouble locating towels, so I told her I would go get our luggage while she looked. When I returned she had the missing items. Went to room, restocked bathroom, avoiding towel rack. After settling in, noticed numerous other infractions (already mentioned towel rack, no Kleenex, frayed carpet (numerous places in room and hallway), bedside electrical socket not working, air conditioner in disorder, tub drain cracking and dirty, and dirty toilet) (see attached photos). Complimentary breakfast in the morning wasn't much better. Although breakfast itself was quite marginal, what was disturbing is the lady setting up breakfast had her two (I'm guessing) teen age sons in lobby. Shabby, dirty blue jeans, one of which is sitting-half laying on couch, a Coke bottle and stocking cap laying at his feet. When I first entered lobby to load some items in car, I was quite shocked, thinking I was in a better area of town than this, assumed they were street people that had come in to warm up and grab a free breakfast. On numerous occasions during breakfast his mother and brother tried waking him up to no avail. As a Best Western Platinum Member, I expected better than this. On this trip we stayed in 3 Best Western and 2 Marriott hotels. At this point it will be Marriott for the rest of my vacations. Provo Best Western Plus is a Best Western Minus
This property is well situated and is furnished well. The bed was comfortable. Every other aspect of this property is terrible. It is one of the most filthy hotels I have ever stayed in. ESPECIALLY for a Best Western Plus! I was room changed 3 times, just to find a room I would stay in, and it was NOT clean either, but it was 11pm and I needed to rest. Also, none of the balcony doors lock. I was told by the front deck they were installed misaligned and therefore NONE of them lock. They do not tell you this, I found out because I could not lock mine and called down to find out what I was doing wrong. CLEARLY, with terrible cleanliness issues and a guest safety issue, Management must have other priorities than the safety and well-being of guests. I also would doubt that the extra cleaning that is supposed to be done for COVID is happening either. The door handles alone in each of the 3 rooms I was in had CLEARLY not been cleaned in a very long time, let alone disinfected for COVID. RUN away. Do not put yourself through staying at this hotel.
The staff was fantastic. There was a complete breakfast that smelled delicious although our schedule did not allow us to take advantage of it. At check-in, the man at the front desk made sure it was as convenient as possible. The bed was extremely comfortable. I was concerned about mildew in the shower and a broken black-out curtain was inconvenient, but the front desk thanked us for the report and promised to take care of it.
This is an excellent choice of staying in Provo. It is quiet, clean, well decorated and has an excellent staff! Well priced and had a great breakfast! You can even buy ice cream at the hotel! Excellent!
We stayed a couple nights while moving our daughter into her apartment near BYU. I would stay again but it's not my first choice. For those that care: None of the front desk staff that I saw wore masks. There are two parking spots to charge your car but only one outlet. It looked decently clean but my eyes were pretty red when I woke up so there must be a lot of dust behind the furniture. AC worked good and the blackout shades made it very dark.
The best way to describe this place is: imagine that this is a frat house and there was a huge destructive party here last night. There is only one housekeeper at this frat house and he/she needs to quickly clean what they can for a parent luncheon the next day. This is the condition of this hotel. Truly a disappointment. Ripped hole in sheets, stains on the comforter that they try to cover up with a cover, a tub faucet that doesn't stop running all night, stains all over all carpet throughout hotel. Dirty breakfast area that doesn't offer much. The side exit door to go outside was propped open with a crushed coffee cup last night. We've been impressed with Best Western Plus' over the last several years, but the two we've stayed at during this cross country road trip has tipped our preferences elsewhere. Believe the negative reviews on this one. I'm questioning whether the good reviews were meant for a different hotel…..
Nice hotel. Well care. Nice employees. Good room, nice furniture. Everything clean.. The towels and the toilet paper could be better. The breakfast is good but there was no butter, iogurt and jelly but all the time they were bringing more scrambled eggs and sausage.
The rooms are quiet and clean. They offered a real hot breakfast. Great staff. It is very family friendly. I highly recommend this location (Provo, Utah). I would definitely stay here again. They exceeded my expectations!
Very clean hotel; excellent location, great restaurant in hotel. Staff was one of the best we had on a 9 day trip at different hotels. 1st time at a Best Western, will definitely stay there again, recommend to all.
Really nice hotel, and great internet that enabled me to attend a couldn't-miss Zoom meeting in the morning. Clean and quiet. Great breakfast. One of the best hotels we stayed at on a marathon road trip.
The hotel itself is perfect. Post pandemic, this hotel is the first to serve a breakfast. Very good by the way. It is located perfectly. Walking distance to a denny's and other fast food joints. It's about a 5 min drive to BYU and it's 8 min drive to costco. It is surrounded by many other stores and fast food locations. 10-15 min drive to Bridal Vails falls and it's scenic route.
To start with I paid over $200 a night for this room including taxes and fees. There were bugs all over the room. I killed over 30 and there were still more. When I went to the front desk they gave me bug spray I could use. Next I got a room with two pull out beds. The bars had no sheets, blankets or pillows. I have to go to the front seat to get the stuff where I'm informed that the hotel is out of pillows. How does a hotel not have enough pillows for all of their beds? When I go to make the bed they gave me one queen sheet for each twin bed. So I had to go back and get additional sheets by the time I get to my room my keys stopped working as I have to go back to the front desk again to get keys make. I had to get the keys remade 5 time in 2 days. As I checked out they told me that if the battery is low on the door lock it could erase the key. That would be nice to know maybe after I complained the third time I had to get the keys made. The toilet ran all night long, the pool is very small and not very clean. Finally, breakfast was a joke with a full hotel they had one person restocking everything and you were waiting in lines to get food that was always running out. All this being said I think the two biggest issues are they are understaffed and they don't spend money to keep the hotel up. The only nice thing I can say it the location is nice it is walking distance to LaVell Edwards stadium.
In spite of what they say on the website and on the screens in the lobby, there are no COVID protocols being followed. Staff do not wear masks, not even in food service area. I was surprised by this coming from CA and seeing many restaurants and bars having servers with masks. If COVID issues concern you (which it did for me as I was traveling with unvaccinated children). do not stay here. Overall, rooms are small. My room did not have a net on the window so opening the window was a problem. Carpet was not very clean. I was paying with a BW travel card which the staff at the front-desk did not know how to handle. Spent 30 extra mins at check out, although was told at check-in it was all taken care of. There is an ok Indian restaurant next door, but again, no COVID safety protocols. I am used to servers wearing masks at restaurants, and nobody seemed to care here.
the ac was not turned on for our room on a record heat day and we were top floor west facing room. We didnt' check in late & were just hoping to cool off in our room from a hot drive, but the room was HOT! So we turned on the ac full blast & left only to come back later and it was still HOT. We were racing early the next morning & could not cool down or relax. This is a HUGE deal for anyone but especially for athletes trying to prepare. Front desk was notified, but told us to get ice. (ice machine on our floor was broken). The next day after our race I wanted a hot shower to relax the muscles but the hottest we could get was barely luke warm . super dissapointing.
The room was fine. The breakfast offerings were fine. The location was fine but the sidewalk just sort of ended and we had to walk in the street. Every person we had contact with at the front desk was super friendly and made us feel welcome. I would stay here again if ever in Provo.
very clean, important to wife. Lobby and public areas were cleaned constantly. Good breakfast as other chains give you a bag for breakfast. Indian restaurant attached to Hotel. I love their Non Bread.
Make sure you inquire about COVID rules on room maintenance. Or it may spoil the conditions expected. The rest of our time was wonderful. Excellent staff. Morning breakfast as good as expected in this time of COVID. Great location fir Yellowstone Park
Clean and comfortable. They provided breakfast which is hard to find now. They offered hot and cold dishes.Rooms were nice and clean at a good value. Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Location is central and convenient.
We needed one night before heading out on a drive to Moab. The price was so low for what you get. The hotel is clean and inviting. An indoor pool and hot tub. Location was fine. Very clean hotel, breakfast the usual but we enjoyed it. We would stay again.
We stayed in room 419. Our reservations was made the morning of the day we stayed which I suspect led to our being given this room. It was long and narrow, not close to the king room size we experience in other Best Western Plus. The ice machine didn't work on our floor, they said it would be fixed the next day. The tub faucet dripped and the entire faucet was loose and could just spin around. The bathroom vanity area was very cramped. The bed was comfortable. When I asked at checkout if they weren't doing daily house keeping, I was told the "they are trying to ramp back up with covid" I mentioned that this should be told to customers at check-in. The breakfast area was OK, seemed like it could be organized for better flow, put the coffee in the breakfast area not in checkin. It was an OK place, but not up to Plus standards.
The staff made the difference for me. My room had a great view of the mountains and while there was no microwave I did have a fridge with a microwave in the lobby at my disposable. The room was beautifully appointed and comfortable. I will not hesitate to book here again.
3 mornings in a row there were food shortages. The apple juice dispenser was empty all 3 mornings. 2 of the mornings it had no milk for the cereal. 1 morning had no sausage/egg sandwiches and no muffins.
Such a beautiful property. All the right amenities and great value. Fitness, Wifi, Pool. Breakfast was good, what with COVID, but glad to have something for the road. I love the Tandoor Indian food that is a part of the hotel. They have such great people working at this location.
I really do love this hotel. It's close to my son's apartment. The rates are affordable. The staff are helpful. The rooms are comfortable and clean. There is a Mariott right next store at twice the price, and they comparable in every way at twice the room rates. Why would I stay there when Best Western Plus has everything I need. I'll be back!
It took over 20 minutes to check-in. The clerk seemed confused. He kept going back and forth between the two main computers. He was distracted. He kept asking for my name and how to spell it. He seemed stoned. We stayed there because the hotel says there were a pool and fitness area. NEVER did Milo (hotel clerk) say that it was down for renovation. Later that evening another clerk from the hotel stated that whoever checked us in should have told us, but I said that he didn't say anything. Milo the hotel clerk was standing right by her when she said that. She asked who had checked us in. My reply was it was Milo. He quickly said that it was online. This is what it states online."Our indoor Pool, Hot Tub, and Fitness Center is currently closed for renovation. Our expected date for reopening is February 10, 2021" He mentioned that he could call next door to the other hotel but it was 9:00 pm and it might be too late. We stayed here on Feb. 13-15th. Perhaps, you should also have a poster in the lobby about this. *On your website, you also have some spelling errors- It is not "New Skin" it should be Nu Skin.
Checking in was easy, the hotel as clean and well organized. Rooms had plenty of lighting and plenty of hot water. Refrigerators need some work as they make an annoying high pitched noise. Beds are more than comfortable and soft. Linens and towels fresh and white and clean. Maids do an amazing job. Front desk very helpful and friendly. Will visit anytime I am in the area.
I could not get work done, room was not clean, took 45 min to check in and to get some items from their convenience store. Pool was under renovation. Room was not clean. We had a million choices of hotels to stay at. We were traveling for a dance comp/convention at Utah Valley Convention Center. We have always stayed at the Marriott but chose this Best Western for the breakfast and pool. Wifi did not work in our room so I had to work in the lobby and the pool was closed, breakfast was horrid it was a bagged breakfast due to covid.
We come to Provo 3x a year for dance competitions and conventions. We usually stay at the marriott across from the convention center but wanted to try something different. We booked this hotel solely for the pool which was under reservation. I work while I am on the road and this hotel has the crappiest WiFi. I had to tap into the hotels across the parking lot. The breakfast to go was digsuting and we didn't even have a microwave in our room to heat to up since it was cold. I guess we will go back to the Marriott for our next competition in April. Very disapppointed!!!
Be careful. While this is a nice hotel and reasonably priced, not all of the staff wear face masks in spite of requiring guests to. Outside of that concern we were pleased with this facility. It met our needs at a reasonable price.
Very nice large rooms, great location, very comfortable beds and pillows. Great heated swimming pool and jacuzzi. Loved staying here and the price was a bargain. We would stay here again. Used to be a Marriott property. Very lovely.
The entire staff from the Manager all the way down were the most helpful staff of any best western i have ever been to. This was the cleanest, nicest and most customer friendly BW I have ever been to!
The room and hotel was clean and covid protocol was followed. The staff kind and professional and the amenities for great. The accommodated us based on the needs. The pool was available for reservations because of covid. We felt safe and secure at this location.
I was amazed at how well this hotel was ran. The staff was on point with every aspect from check in to check out. The breakfast was awesome, hot and plentiful. I had an issue with the batteries on my remote and they were very quick in fixing the problem. I travel often and honestly this was one of the best hotel nights I have ever had. Bravo to the staff!!!!
Best Western in Provo was very comfortable, clean, and the staff were polite and sociable. The hotel room was inviting and quiet. The hotel is near the University which provided easy access to restaurants and grocery stores. Added perk: the indian food next door was awesome!
I stayed at the Best Western in Provo Utah and they charged my card an extra $250 because they said the room smelled like smoke. What a bunch of liars! I never smoked in my room. It never happened! I went out to my truck like I always do. When I called and explained that they were mistaken, the manager says "The ladies that cleaned the room said it smelled like smoke and they had to fumigate it for 24 hours." It's all B.S. because I never smoked in the room. So far, I am getting the run around. I have to dispute it with my credit card and they said I will have to cancel that card and report it as fraud ;which, is the truth! Its fraud! They don't know who they are messing with! This will not stand! I would advise anyone reading this to stay away from this Hotel. They are crooks!
Super clean comfortable rooms great amenities wonderful staff the only problem is the Internet doesn't work on the fourth floor but I have confidence they will fix that. Having good hot coffee available 24 hours a day is also a big plus and the breakfasts are really good for a hotel breakfast
This property has been nicely updated with sleek common areas and comfortable spacious rooms. The breakfast offered and service were both very nice with appropriate social distancing. The only negative was the cleanliness of the room. There was food left in the mini fridge and the bathroom toilet and floor had not been cleaned.
Staying here while we tour the Salt Lake area. It is central to all the places we've selected to see and do. We had an issue with the bathroom sink and was fixed quickly. Staff is friendly and help full. Breakfast is a hit and miss. Some items are not available. Had to wait several minutes for eggs to be refilled. Considering COVID-19 overall acceptable. The room was clean.
Find another hotel. This hotel is filthy. There are milk stains on the sofa cushions and mattress. The floor in the bathroom had not been mopped when we arrived, and the floors hadn't been vacuumed well, either. The other gripe I have is the COVID protocols are very weak. So if you are at all concerned about COVID, I'd pick another hotel for now. The dining area had no social distancing at the breakfast buffet, no wipe-downs of surfaces between users, no wipes available for guests to clean the surfaces themselves, the day front desk clerk doesn't wear a mask, and not even a mention of mask-wearing that's required by the state's emergency order, let alone any attempt to remind or enforce.
The lobby smelled like mildew and one of the guest rooms we had also had a horrible smell. The beautiful garden in the picture was not taken care of. The waterfall was off and the he water was green. The breakfast was OK, but some of the things were expired.
Clean. Welcoming friendly staff. Used the laundry facilities and the machines are clean and work well. Convenient to downtown Provo restaurants and bars. We stopped overnight as we are traveling across the country. We left Jackson Hole and are heading to Moab.
We stayed here on a Saturday night and when we arrived and got in our hotel room we noticed a forgotten swimsuit from the previous guests who stayed in the room. When we informed the front desk all they did was apologize and say they will inform housekeeping. What good will that do as it was them who left it in the first place. In a time where everyone is taking extra precautions to ensure “everything is sanitized” you think they would not miss this or do something else to try and remedy this situation. The AC barely worked as well. This is a word of caution to any others looking to stay here...check your room throughly or find another hotel.
Decent price, Covid-quality service. Typical pricing. The room was moderately clean, although the screen door to the balcony was broken and there was a partially full beer can left outside from the previous guests. The attendant at the front counter was very quick to take care of that and was very apologetic. No breakfast buffet due to Covid, so the only had brown bagged lunch with a muffin, granola bar, yogurt and an apple. The 2 computers in the “business lounge” didn't work.
I stayed here while I was in town visiting family. This location was close to them and it was in a nice area. Breakfast was Grab & Go (yogurt, fruit, granola bar, and a small pastry). I was told upon check in that I needed to sign up for a time slot for the pool or gym. Housekeeping only comes if you request it (all due to COVID precautions). This is close to BYU. I felt safe staying here and would stay here again.
For the Fourth of July, we were looking for a hotel room was near the stadium and faced towards the fireworks. We also wanted a room large enough for our college kids to join us for pizza and watching fireworks. The front desk staff booked us the perfect room to meet our request. It even had a balcony to watch the show from our room! We feel the value of the room and the customer service far exceeded what it cost to stay there. This is definitely where we will stay next time we come to town.
No communication from front desk staff. Pool was closed to only one family per hour didn't know until my children and I went down to the pool in our bathing suits only to see a sign on the door. Then when we went back up to the front desk we were told that it was already booked for the day. The front desk staff deactivated the south side door so the key card wouldn't work to get in upon check in at 1600pm so my family had to haul our luggage around to the front door in 95 degree heat, stand in line again, and then we were told that they had deactivated the door. The excuse was that there was only one front desk agent there that night and she could only watch 1 door, yet at 1100pm there were 3 agents standing at the front desk. The hotel faces west, our room was extremely hot upon arrival. The AC struggled to cool it down past about 80 degrees until finally the sun went down. There were no linens in the room for the couch bed. When I went to the front desk to ask about this was given a queen size sheet set for a twin mattress.
I do not feel that I should have paid full price for my room. Here is the list of items wrong with the room. Rm 203 1st was a poor view. It over looks the roof of the resturant. This should be one of the last rooms assigned, especially if the holey is as empty as it was... 2nd there was no screen on the window, meaning we didn't feel safe to leave it open and not have insects in the room. 3rd given the lack of the screen meant we had to listen to the AC kick on and off all night 4th one of the lights next to the bed was non-functional. I swapped light bulbs with the other and it still did not work. I mentioned this issue early in our stay but nothing was done. 5th bathroom was not clean. There was makeup spots in the sink and shower. In the shower many long hairs were still on the walls and curtain. 6th lack of water pressure, in both the sink and shower. In the shower this ment only one spray setting on the shower head would function. The sink drain was also very very slow, to the point that despite the low water pressure the sink would fill quickly. 7th was the fridge. Tiny and It didn't keep our left over from dinner cold.
They failed in all the most important parts. Comfort- the bed mattress was creaky and the sheets were not soft. The air conditioner was loud, like it had a hamster wheel inside, and didn't exactly cool the room. Cleanliness- there was a human hair ball near the bed, the toilet bowl had a mold ring, and the furniture was dusty. Maintenance- the tub had a leak, air conditioner (again), carpet was stained and furniture chipped. These are not difficult things to correct. Location was good.
Especially during these times with covid 19 attention to detail really matters. And this place seriously lacks it. Upon arrival i waited fo. A little over 10 min for a clerk to appear. He was not following any type of safety measures for the pandemic. But did have me sign a paper saying it was my own responsibility for traveling during a pandemic lol. Got to love that level of customer care. And the common areas were dirty. Im pretty sure if you havent vacuumed the elevator it isnt sanatized either. The room was very clean. But the rest of the place was not. If you do stay here, bring hand sanatizer. And even though almost all Best westerns are providing a grab and go breakfast. Nothing at this place. Not even a real answer by front desk. I love best western but this place had more of an econolodge feel than a best western plus
The staff were so welcoming!!!! The beds were so comfortable, especially the mattress top. Best sleep we had, in quite awhile!! Spacious rooms! We didn't have any problems, with our stay. The view was beautiful, from our room.
Bad management. Everything sid not work.dirty staff didn't know anything that was going on. Needs a lot of work. Hot tub did not work during the time we was there. Garbage every where.. Messed up on our reservations several times. Took forever to get our stay rewards. Went in our room without us knowing. Went through our personnel belongings.
This form Courtyard Hotel recently changed to a Best Western Plus and is in the process of working out all of the kinks. Overall a very attractive property in a good location (not far from Orem and I-15). Plenty of convenient parking, indoor pool, hot tub, exercise room and an adjacent Indian Restaurant that had an amazing aroma. I've been told their mango ice cream is delicious. A few points that need attention is the lack of proper uniform attire by some members of the front desk, elevator cleanliness and making sure the breakfast items are hot. The breakfast was typical but the sausage and omelettes were barely warm and the layout is a bit discombobulated. Additionally, my room did not have a microwave and the color scheme was not very attractive in fact I felt it was just weird. Overall my stay was not bad. Beds, pillows and linens all comfortable and the room was clean. Next time I travel through this area I would probably choose a hotel located closer to I-15.
We had an airbnb arrange to stay, however it did not work out for us, so we sought a hotel. This hotel was just the ticket, staff very kind and helpful to our needs, clean, nice size room, had a little balcony and we enjoyed our stay at the hotel.
This is a nice hotel that seems to be not very well managed. I read other reviews of this Hotel and learned it was previously a Marriott property, now owned by BW. It is a quality building that seems to be suffering from some neglect. My room was on the 4th floor with a great view of the Mountains. The bed was comfortable and the TV was nice and large. Small problems however took away from the experience. The shower was barely warm enough and the water pressure was low. The furniture was dusty, one of the dresser drawers did not close all the way. The toilet paper was rough, only two towels, the indoor pool was too cold, the spa jets did not work. The breakfast, while acceptable, was not up to the standards of most all of the other BW's I have stayed at. It just seemed like the management was doing everything possible to save every last penny and it is starting to show. It's a shame because this could be a very nice hotel. The price for the room was very good but I would have paid a little more to have a better experience.
We were greeted warmly and experienced nothing but hospitality. We were staying at the Best Western close to home because our apartment flooded and this helped relieve some stress while we still needed to do our daily routine.
This property has only been a Best Western for two months. The front desk personnel, Whitley and Camela, were both very friendly and helpful at check in. They were helping each other as one was familiar with the hotel and the other was familiar with the Best Western software. The room was large with two queen beds. There was a lovely mountain view. They need to do some updating as the air conditioner was noisy and the bed squeaked. Breakfast was not great. The eggs were overcooked and the meat was a mystery. They also had the usual cereal, waffles, juice, etc.
We happened to be there on a day when the hotel was just changing from a Marriott to a Best Western. There was some confusion in the morning, no meat for breakfast, completely dried out potatoes and eggs; really poor for what BW usually would provide. When checking out all the lifts were blocked as they unloaded a semi full of new mattresses. Our room was very comfortable at least. I am sure it would be a better place to stay now, but I was quite displeased with the poor service and confusion.
Our stay was 10/3/2019. The room had a Wet Paint sign on the door...but we were assured it was ok. The toilet had mold, the window had plastic over the outside and the parking lot had no lights. the building had no lights either. The web site said they had food service but it was closed down with no options. I wrote to Marriott but no response in 4 days.
Unbeknownst to us when we made this reservation through the Marriott site this hotel has been dropped from Marriott and is changing to a Best Western.. The lobby looked old and the food bar was being ripped out the next day The hallways smelled and the rugs in our room wrre stained and the toilet bowl unclean. Very disappointed with hotel and with Marriott for not letting us know the situation.
As a Marriott Bonvoy member, I didn't expect to stumble on a Marriott property obviously neglected and run-down. Hallways were not vacuumed, external entry doors were not secured (all three nights we were there) and signs of neglect were everywhere -- inside the room and out. Interrogation of the staff revealed that licensing is soon being changed from Courtyard by Marriott to Best Western. Regardless of the reason, Marriott's cynical abandonment of the property prior to whatever disposition they are contemplating says more about the company than anything else. DON'T GO THERE! Detail: drapes in room didn't function and were torn; drawers literally did not roll in or out; sheets, towels and pillows were reminiscent of youthful stays at crumby hostels; the lobby and the rooms were dirty; clearly they were understaffed. DON''T STAY THERE!
Stay in a different hotel. Fire alarm went off and when I called the front desk they just laughed at me at 6 am on Saturday. Talked to them about getting another night comped since our night alone with my wife was ruined and they didn't seem to think it was necessary. My wife and I paid for a baby sitter to watch our kids so we could get a peaceful night sleep and then this. Very disappointed, in not just the alarm but the way the staff handled the aftermath. Stay somewhere else.
We stayed there while we ran the Timp Half Marothon and as expected the customer service was off the charts. Braden and Cameron Stoddard made sure our stay was awesome. They helped with breakfast and other activities that were available in Provo.
