This hotel needs a definite upgrade all around. There were shady characters hanging around at the entrance, and it was a scary experience. The checkin girl was very helpful and friendly! We were thanked for being diamond members, and were given a water each at checkin. Our room definitely needs some repair, as the stuffed headboard had a large piece missing at each bed.
WORST BEST WESTERN EVER!!! This hotel is definitely NOT Best Western worthy!! The place is run down, don't even have a full set of tow to start with, hallways to my room smell like Piss!! If I wasn't so tired after driving 11 hrs today and only booking here because the other town I was in had no occupancy left so I drove backwards to stay at this location just to find that it is a stay over for the Casino close by… This hotel isn't even a 1 star. Far cry from where I was booked into last night and where I will be staying tomorrow night. I will never return here and will be do a trip advisor as well as a public post on this hotel site. Also asked for non pet friendly room and it has definitely had pets in it, because you can smell them!… Kid across the hall hollering for his dad because he left the room.. I stay at Best Western Hotels because I don't like staying in Skid Row hotels! Well this one definitely is Skid Row! Very sad Best Western! Should be stripped of its name! Very disgusting and dissatisfied
We stayed one night here and found it to be almost perfect for our needs. The staff were very helpful and friendly and assisted us in every way possible. We were disappointed that they have no swimming pool. The rooms are clean and spacious but they are a bit dated, with lighting and plumbing showing their age. The internet was adequate but a bit slow. Breakfast was very nice and was set up like a restaurant. The location is perfect, convenient to everything in town.
Room was small. It was hard to fit all our gear. Beds were doubles and uncomfortable. It was noisy - just with guests arriving and moving around normally. Old carpet and bathroom fixtures. Mediocre breakfast Pleasant and helpful staff
Front desk staff were pleasant and professional. I was a bit nervous because some reviews indicated that the room and/or hotel were not clean enough but I saw no evidence of that. The front lobby, hallways, and my room were sparkling clean. The free breakfast included some hot items in addition to a decent variety of cereals and other typical breakfast fare. I found my room to be quiet and the bed was comfortable. For the money I think this place is a great value.
Housekeeping has to be requested. Hanging the sign on the door that they provide isn't good enough. If that is what you do, you will return to a messy room. Our situation is a bit unique but the front desk staff gave the expected empty apology but really didn't seem to care.
Very comfortable beds and good, hot breakfast. Outside apppearance was not great with litter and cigarettes butts in front of entrance. All restaurant and entrance windows, elevator floors needed some attention.
Late check in due to room shortage. Dirty, damaged room. No breakfast due to staff shortage. A lot of negatives, but the beds were comfortable. I give credit to the staff that did show up to work as they had to deal with many angry customers.
Very unclean hotel- The dirtiest hotel I have stayed at. Beds very small and uncomfortable. Bed sheets felt dirty and bed skirt stained all over. Pillows uncomfortable. Walls and headboards have never been sanitized. Fridge leaks in room . Decor never updated- curtains so old and very dirty . Very obvious rooms are not cleaned. Friends on same floor had old dog poop in rooms. Bathrooms very dirty. Minimal plug ins. Hallways full of garbage and rarely picked up . Staff not available and not helpful. Litter all over outside property. Unsafe environment.
This is the worst and dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed at . The outside property is full of garbage every where and is a very unsafe environment. The garbages in the lobby were over filling for the entire weekend and floors were filthy. The room we were in was so dirty. Walls have clearly never been washed, stains all over the bed skirts and very dirty floor . Bathrooms were dirty and the fridge leaked water . Beds were very tiny . Rooms , curtains, carpets are so old and outdated and dirty. Friends who stayed found dog poop under there table and didn't even have a dog with them . Very minimal staff around. I do not know how this hotel has ratings over a 1 star. Pictures posted on the website are not at all what you get.
This hotel is an older property but very modern. Great in house restaurant, that served both supper and breakfast. Staff is super friendly and accommodating. Quiet location grate parking. I highly suggest staying here. Great value!
Staff were polite, room was beyond filthy. Dried viscous fluids on all walls and bathroom door, garbage can had no bag and was sticky, hair on pillows, carpet tacky. Tv screen was smashed and had no remote.
We stayed here for a volleyball tournament. Rooms were dirty. Black hair left in bedding. Grime on floor. Rooms were nice and big no complaints there. Continental breakfast was two hours late coming out.
Rooms were ok. Quiet location. Rooms needed a good cleaning. Looked to be poorly managed. Wanted to use restroom near restaurant area and was told that someone had taken the key and they couldn't open the door.
Our room was filthy. Food debris was on the window sill, and the floor and pistachio casings were on the bed frame. The bathroom had hair in the sink and an odour of urine. The room also smelled of stale smoke.
Hotel clean and the front desk Front desk staff are excellent, hotel was clean. Comfortable bed and pillow. Room large but cozy, quiet, security made you feel safe. Restaurant menu could definitely be expended, poor choices.
First room on first floor stunk badly. Heating/cooling unit didn't work. Moved to second floor. Stayed for 5 days and begged for housekeeping. Finally on the day before checkout they remake my bed with the dirty linens. Garbages still over flowing. Carpet needing a vacuum. Just ridiculous. Go to the premier.
Nice clean and quiet met all my exaptation's very friendly staff. Restuarant could have a little more selection on menu but what was there was also good. No complaints about the rooms they were clean and comfortable
There was mud on the furniture, and clumps of dirt/dried mud in the carpet. A “clean room” is more than just fresh towels… I called the front desk and informed them of the issue, I waited 15 min and then decided to visit the front desk with the offending chair. I was “allowed” to take a clean chair from the business centre in the lobby. I borrowed a vacuum cleaner from the front desk staff and vacuumed my room…. No member of the staff offered to vacuum for me, in fairness the front desk staff would have had to abandon their post to do this. I tried to eat at the on-site bar/lounge and was accosted by a security guard upon entry. I was told I could not enter without leaving a photocopy of my ID. I was unwilling to do this, so I found an alternate establishment for my evening repast.
Great breakfast and very good room (the king suite room ). The hotel is close to an excellent walking trail, shopping, and restaurants. The staff was pleasant and helpful. Air conditioning was working fine and needed during the hot summer days.
Amazing front desk staff, excellent service.clean room on the point . I would love stay in this hotel again . And highly recommended. Breakfast was tasty and fresh . For me its No. 1 hotel in Prince Albert
A reasonable option if you are travelling with pets. Friendly and helpful staff. Decent breakfast for traveling. Could use an update. No issues with feeling safe at this hotel. We did not use any of the amenities other than the breakfast so unable to comment on those.
No one at the front desk at midnight when your room cards don't work, bathtub doesn't drain, toilets don't refill. Had to get room keys reset 4 times in 3 days. Worst stay in a hotel in my life. I am a rewards member and have been for years...this stay has made me rethink Best Western as my hotel of choice.
Outside appearance looks plain but once inside it is nice. The price was good and upon entering the hotel room, the room temperature was very cold. Thus, a very good air conditioner. The only issue is their trolleys are in need of repairs - a broken wheel rim with a flat tire and the other needs the handle bar to be welded back on.
The bedding was nice and fresh, very white and clean. Didn't care for the hotel shampoo and conditioner due to its perfume smell; something more neutral would be better. Breakfast was included and was tasty as those quick buffets go. Coffee was good. Room was quiet. Staff seemed nice.
checked in with a hockey team for the weekend. King room with fold out couch. Room was dirty, fold out bed sheets were filthy. Asked to have the sheet changed and blankets brought to the room but never showed up. Had to sleep on the couch using a jacket as a blanket. Was charged full price for the room upon check out but assured that manager would call and make it right. Its been over a week and no call. I will never stay here again and encourage others to find a different place to stay. Brutal experience
All rooms were dirty. Unknown substances on headboards, crumbs and food in the beds. No clean blankets or pillows for those who had pullout beds in their rooms. The front desk dragged the one pillow down the hall on the floor as I watched as he said there are no pillows or blankets available for anyone. The person at breakfast put toast on the boys plates with his barehands. The fridges and bathrooms were dirty. Absolutely the worst experience for our hockey team and families. Would not recommend booking at the Best Western Marquis & Suits in Prince Albert!
Used my credit card for an extra night stay and took a 300 security deposit for that night without my consent. Corporate says the hotel has to deal with this and they have not contacted me yet. They refuse to discuss this and I'm still calling corporate but they do nothing.
I only stayed here one night, but the rooms were nice and clean. The in house restaurant had really good food. I highly recommend staying/visiting here. The continental breakfast was great. The attendant there was professional, polite, and courteous.
The guest services were exceptional. I was always treated with respect and they made sure I had what I needed…. Different breakfast options would have been nice however it was not a make or break situation for me.
I used to stay here every time I went to Prince Albert - it was reliably a good place to stay. Unfortunately, this time the room was very dirty. The garbage was not taken out, the end tables were dirty and sticky, and it was generally dirty throughout. I've stayed at this location many times before in the past and this is the first time we have had a bad experience. Check in with the front desk was fine, though. I should have looked at the hotel reviews before we booked it this time - I hadn't checked because our previous stays here were good a few years ago.
I was quite disappointed in the hotel. The room I was checked into was obviously not cleaned. There was still garbages in the cans and there were crumbs/garbage on the floor. It was so gross and very upsetting!
First off this is the 8th ( at Least) stay at this hotels property and my room has been absolutely disgusting & dirty… I even called the day before and the day of check in to ensure my room was clean on my arrival for this stay. The first room I was check into had dirty bedding… looked like someone laid in the bed, and the pillow was turned on it's side and had nasty stuff all over it as well as an indent from a head. The bath tub had soap all over the shelves that the tub side was dirty, the sink was definitely not cleaned nor was the mirror… I was then moved to another room… this room was disgusting as well… one of the comforters on the bed had nasty wet stuff sprayed all over it… the table, tv stand and desk had a thick hard dried smear of what looked to be some kind of food all over it, the heat/ac units entire enclosure was off and sitting on the floor exposing the wiring. The fridge was absolutely dirty, stunk and had something spilled all over inside, on top and down the door… the coffee area had coffee all over as well as grounds. I had to CLEAN THE ROOM MY SELF!!! As it was the last room available. I had requested to speak to the manager, upon my request I was told I had to call Monday. I called and the manager said he was busy and would call me back.. he never did. I have called 2 more times and left voice mails. I am beyond unhappy and I am now looking into other hotel chains as well I am making sure everyone I know, knows not to stay at either Best western in Prince Albert. Sincerely, One extremely unhappy Diamond select Bestwestern customer
I was hosting a conference In the hotel. This was the 5th one since 2017. The hotel used to be super awesome… it was the WORST hotel Stay I have ever had. Not only was the conference room not cleaned or ready.. I had to ask family and friends to come help. Boxes of garbage, dirty dishes, not vacuumed. They charged me $525 for a dirty filthy conference room.. I complained and they told me to go somewhere else. Which I could t do as it was 30 mins before we were set to start. Fast forward to checking into my room at 9pm after the conference.. get ready for these images cause it was the most DISGUSTING thing anyone has ever seen. The room was INCREDIBLY bad. Garage, rotting food, dirty sheet, towels.. food on the floor. Immediately went to front desk, the poor girl didn't know what to do we waited over an hour to get another room because she had to wait for authorization.. they offered me 15% off the dirty room or full price for new room?!? Checked in… room had dog food on the floor. But was too tired to deal. I tried contacting management.. owner and no one would take my call. In a “meeting” didn't have time.. charged me full price for a FILTHY room. The staff was very good. But I will never ever ever stay here again and I highly suggest you don't either
Check in was a mess , the room was dated and the floor to ceiling drapes covers the heater / ac so difficult to use. The lamps that were working were plugged into extension cords that are a hazard. The food menu prices are not the same as the bill prices - check your bill. The is security in the lounge but not in the hallways - people were up running around until 6 am I would say stay at the other BW but it is same ownership - shame on them for running this location as a BW
Upon check in one of the beds has a large stain on the comforter. There were no garbage bags in the trash cans. I am not confident it was properly cleaned. The shower was broken and although I talked to the front desk multiple times they did not have it fixed or get us a new room. We were supposed to get a group rate but my credit card was charged then full rate. Someone was supposed to call me to discuss billing and the issues during my stay but no one has called me back. As someone who travels frequently for business and has stayed in hundreds of hotels this was the worst hotel experience I have had.
Booked a room thru expedia this am . Phoned back right after to inquire if pet friendly , continental breakfast, etc. Clerk told me that my Booking was just sold/given away today & So i am out of a room for tonight , fighting for my refund back from Expedia.
No USB ports for charging electronics, can hear through the walls, bathroom is outdated, light comes through the curtains, air conditioning doesn't work properly, the rooms smell like cigarette smoke.
Staff were helpful and friendly, but undertrained. I had a little bit of a mix up via my deposit and the front desk lady had accidently charged my credit card instead of holding the deposit amount. The gentleman at the front desk in the morning fixed it for me :) The biggest letdown was that I could hear EVERYTHING. From the other guests talking in their suites, to them going in and out of their rooms. The door would slam shut if you were coming or going, and lying down, you could hear the guests on the main floor just casually talking in their own room. The room wasn't completely clean, as there was a fresh splash of black liquid on the ground. No idea what it was, didn't touch it but I let the front desk know. Another negative was that the bed was extremely outdated and sleeping in it was not a pleasant experience. For the price, I expected more from the Best Western.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. The place was very quiet but I suspect that that's due to the current covid restrictions. There is a lounge and liquor store on the premises, which were still open, and it was still very quiet.
Traveling on business trip for 2 weeks - this experience was for Week #1 - (more to follow). Nice clean room - guiet - good location in the Southeast part of the City - easy access. Very impressed with friendly front desk staff - some concerns with internet access - overall I would recommend and stay here again.
I checked into my first room that had no hot water, they then moved me to another room. I then got hit by my partner, no noise just personal. Called the front desk to call the cops, in the meantime partner left. then security showed up saying the room was trashed and there was nothing wrong with the room. I kicked her out because I found drug paraphernalia. They even took pics of my garbage and the broken pipe. Cops came and told me to stay as this was the safest place at the time. I then got kicked out half hour later for room damages which there was none and drug use which was not true. Not a good experience at all. Not recommended at all. I was not at fault in this situation. It was right before Christmas and they did not return my damage which was $400.
We had an excellent service, quick an effecient. They gave us the best room for our money. The room was very clean with all the services. I recommande this hotel without any hesitations, well located.
I really loved how the receptionist was courteous. The room was beyond my expectations. I had a really good night sleep and woke up feeling refreshed, I really needed that. I have no complaints whatsoever.
When I checked in I was staying for work. Because I had a company credit card that did not have my name on it, there was a major issue requiring my employer to submit a written approval with several requests for picture copies of ID, CC, and other documentation. Even though my employer phoned the front desk, spoke to the staff, and provided proof of authorization, this was insufficient and several other documents were required at check in, after 10pm on a Saturday. Extremely disappointing. The "continental breakfast" was advertised as having several items including fresh fruit, yogurt, assorted juice, and a granola bar delivered in a wrapped paper bag due to Covid restrictions. When delivered, the breakfast consisted of two granola bars, an orange juice, and a mini muffin. Not once during the entire stay was fresh fruit or yogurt provided. During my first night my neighbors were extremely noisy. I asked for a room change and as the hotel was quite empty, requested a room at the end of a hall without neighbors, which the staff insisted was possible. The next night after coming back to my room, there was a strong smell of marijuana and loud music from the neighbouring room, which was now occupied. A very frustrating stay.
My wife and I decided to book a room after the Raiders game because of a snow storm. We stayed at this hotel ten years ago and since then we have noticed many nice upgrades. Check in was quick and Eric was nice. Our room was clean with crisp sheets and soft pillows. The room had a 40" tv and mini fridge. House keeping do a great job of keeping the hotel spotless. We Enjoyed our free hot breakfast at the cafe in the lobby. Two eggs, toast, hashbrowns and bacon. We will stay here again next time we decide to stay in P.A.
We had just flown back to Canada from a hot holiday and were in the process of driving back to our home in Northern Manitoba when the weather turned sour and further travel wasn't recommended. We needed a place to stay for the night and decided to try the Best Western Marquis Inn and Suites. The night manager was very accommodating and in a manner of minutes we were happily situated in a suitable room of our choosing. The morning brought the complimentary breakfast ( which was very good) provided by a wonderfully polite and proficient young waitress in a very pleasant restaurant venue followed by an express check out. which got us on the road again. Great experience for an unscheduled layover.
We had three adults in a room with two queen beds. Spacious bathroom, table and three chairs in the room, fridge, coffee maker, and microwave. There is an onsite restaurant, beer/wine store, and a lounge. The complimentary breakfast was a nice touch - they offer made to order eggs, meat, toast, hash browns, etc. The hotel is only a short drive from many restaurants, a couple within walking distance. Staff were very friendly. My only negative is that the common area carpets were visibly dirty and we had consistent troubles with the room key card; having to have it re-set 4 times in 2 hours.
Ok accommodations, kids wished there was a pool. We prefer a continental breakfast which you can help yourself, the breakfast was good though. We found our room very hot and the thermostat didn't seem to work properly.
This is a great hotel for a quick stay. Rooms are very average. The gym was not clean so we could not use garbage and food crumbs all over. Room service was not very good never maid our beds. They did give us fresh towels. Breakfast was included and was very good. Staff was very friendly. Lobby was very nice. This would be a solid choice for this area. Coffee station in the lobby was fantastic.
My experience was very good. Even though it is an older hotel, it was very clean and warm and the service was excellent. I would recommend staying at this Best Western Hotel...I was very comfortable and they made my stay a great experience.
Charged $200 for a broken wheel of a office chair that was obviously broken prior to my moving the chair. Learn a lesson that you need to double check everything in the room is in 109% condition upon checking.
This hotel has attempted to charge me $113.89 US for a plastic wheel that broke off the office chair in my room. I can buy a 5 pack of these at Home depot for under $13. PChero 5 Packs Office Chair Casters Wheels with Universal Standard Size 11mm Stem Diameter and 22mm Stem Length (0.43inch X 0.86inch), Support up to 550LBs Weight 4.7 out of 5 stars 131 $12.97 They are deliberately trying to take advantage of foreign guests!
we found hair on both beds , i informed the supervisor next day but nothing been done, room service showed up before 9:00 am asking if we need anything but they never came back to clean the room.... Check in was good and Catherine was very helpful,,but not worth what we paid for
Clean comfortable rooms, Restaurant on site, Party Store on site, nice full liquor lounge on site. Friendly staff! I would recommend this Hotel to all travelers from the USA and abroad! If you are coming in winter, dress warm!
Best western is one of the best hotel in Prince Albert. also, would like to mention how friendly and nice the staff are especially Ms. Katherine of front desk team! Also, i enjoyed the fre breakfast at the terrace cafe
The hotel is beautifully designed, the rooms are cleaned very well not to mention the aesthetic of the room is breathtaking. The staff are so accommodating and seem to care so much about my needs as a guest, and every time I see a housekeeper I'm greeted with a friendly smile.
The staff is very friendly. It is clean. The rooms are very comfortable. Love the complimentary full breakfast offered from 6-9am. Love that they allow dogs, lots of green outdoor space for walking the dog. Very reasonably priced.
Staff was very friendly. Room was clean but there were some wrappers left behind from previous guests. The room was a little dated. The table top was broken off the legs and it seemed a little run down.
Check in was very complicated. I prepaid for a room, it should not be that hard. And, like all the reviews say, I found that they charged by credit card extra. Extremely sketchy and very very disappointing.
Probably my worst experience staying here...each stay, it gets worse,( and Ive stayed close to 100 nights over the past year here).....filthy lobby area...garbage littering the floor.., vagrants sleeping in lobby and lurking around the outside.....cold breakfast.....no coffee (if you can believe it)....noisey room and floor....when I mentioned it to the front desk ( three times), they just nodded and continued working.......this use to be my " go to" hotel for Prince Albert but no more...being Diamond Elite means nothing here... at least not anymore...Ive since relocated to the Holiday Inn....and that's too bad, as this used to be a nice and safe hotel.
My stay was so enjoyable. It was great experience.Easy and fast check in.Great service from front desk, room service is awesome.Foods during breakfast are good.I really recommend this hotel to my family and friends
The hotel, rooms, lobby, restaurant were probably 4 star but some of the desk personnel were 2 star. We arrived at 8;30A and the receptionist advised they had a room that met our needs but that it hadn't been cleaned. It advised he would put it at the top of the list to be cleaned and that we might be able to get in early. Upon checking later we were told that according to company policy, if we checked in before 12Noon we would have to pay for a second day stay, so we slept in the lobby until 11:50A when we were allowed to check in and use the room without extra charges. That's the first time that's ever happened and I travel alot. In retrospect I should have just gone somewhere else.
What a horrible place this is. Very outdated and then when you look at the walls the somewhat tells me what graves would look like. Havent really hears the good things about the owners too. They should sell the property and leave. I met some of their old staff who ended up quitting and the owners are nothing but a dirty bunch of exploiters and mean people. Since this states the truth, they could try to get this removed.
With swimming pool & hot tub it would have helped me to wine down after a long drive to the hotel.Going to sleep would be more relaxing too.The candies were left in the room does not look very appetizing . Even a candy has no wrapper. I wanted to try the candy but decided not too. I threw away the one without a wrapper.
The hotel is decent (clean / well-kept), but the room decor is quite dated, and inconvenient for a modern traveler with a lot of electronics to plug in (there were almost no accessible plug-ins, I found a power bar behind the TV). The restaurant was particularly disappointing, with cold / dry toast for a clubhouse at supper, and deep-fried sausage for breakfast
Finding quality accommodations in Prince Albert is a challenge. This is about as good as it gets, although it won't wow you. The beds are old and horribly uncomfortable and the rooms are showing their age and use. Hopefully it will get a deep cleaning/update in the near future. The hot table side breakfast is a nice feature. Staff were pleasant and they accommodated an early check in for us.
There aren't a lot of options in Prince Albert. This is one of the nicer hotels in town. The room was clean, the staff in the lobby were efficient and friendly. It's a bonus that there is a restaurant on-site, although I didn't get a chance to try it.
Googled Best Western and booked through reservation number( they handle all bookings for Best Westerns). Room was $255.?? for 2 nights.Taxes were $100. ( besides regular tax there was a city tax). Cancelled the reservation. Phoned Prince Albert Best Western. Booked through them. Taxes $34 for 2 nights.
Overall the hotel was nice. I would defiantly go back. However they need more staff at breakfast time. It was only 2 there to serve over 10 tables. The food was awesome, it was made to order food which I highly appreciated.
There are many thing wrong in the operation of this hotel. First, after checked in around 8:30PM, I wanted to make a cup of tea but the tea/coffee maker is so filthy that I did not want to use it. Contacted the front desk and they said the Housekeeping is closed for the day hence they can't replace it. That was exactly 9:02PM. There is no water, drink in the room that one can buy. There is a vending machine but if you don't have coins you are out of luck. Secondly, I forgot a toothbrush so I went to the front desk to see if I can buy one. Again, House keeping is closed so there is no access to the area to get a toothbrush. There is no manager/supervisor onsite after 8PM and the front desk does not have access to Housekeeping room/area. I asked in the event that a guest needed housekeeping service, what would the front desk do, the girls said guests have to wait until 9AM the next day. This hotel offers a bed in a room and that is it. Will not stay at Best Western hotel brand ever again. First and last!
Had a fast checkin, was put in room 131. The room had a King bed, couch, chair, coffee table, large flat screen TV, fridge, microwave, basically everything you would ever need. It was clean and well appointed with nice thick towels. You get a real breakfast from a menu at the resteraunt as well. All staff I encountered were very pleasant and helpful as well. This is the place to stay in P.A!
Great service, quality stay with quiet location and friendly staff. Beds and decor need upgrades. Great breakfast and restaurant. Gym needs some new and additional equipment. Very well priced And described as advertised.
We stayed at the Best Western Marquis Inn & Suites on August 17, 2019 when we were in Prince Albert for a wedding. While we were away at the wedding someone entered our room and stole the wallet and travel pill case out of my daughters purse, You may be wondering why she would leave her wallet and purse in the room. She used a clutch for the wedding and there wasn't enough room in it for a wallet. The icing on the cake was they opened my husbands toiletry case and took all his prescription medications. There were no signs of forced entry into the room. We reported this to the front desk, Angela (front desk manager) appeared genuine and wanted to help us. She advised she would order the surveillance video and review it. It would take 3 days and she would get back to us. We thought we should report this to the local city police as prescription medications were taken. The police officer has not had any success in getting the video surveillance from the hotel, he has been dealing with Angela. He has advised he has requested it a number of times. We are almost at 30 days and I feel they are stalling waiting for the video to be recorded over it it hasn't already. I have called and asked to speak to the manager and I have been advised they are offsite at the new hotel that is being built. I find it hard to believe they do not have a cell phone that the call could be transferred to or that they can call me back. I have called the Best Western head office and they advise they cannot assist as I reported this to the police, I received the same response from the hotel. I appears I may have been better off NOT reporting this to the police and head office may be assisting me in this matter. When I checked out I was advised my bill was paid as I booked it through a third party company. Later in the day I received a call from the hotel advising that was not the case and the credit card they have on file was rejected which I found totally strange. I returned to the hotel and used another credit card. I did not know why my credit card was rejected so I used it later that day and it was fine. I have since cancelled that credit card as I am not sure it someone at the hotel had taken the information. At this point in time I DO NOT TRUST this hotel. I have stayed at a number of Best Western hotels for business or pleasure but I am not sure If I will stay at one in the future. This incident isn't something I would expect in Canada. My advise is if you have to stay at this hotel please lock you things up in the safe even if it is an empty wallet or mediations.
We stayed one night on our way across Saskatchewan, and the staff was excellent. We got a phone call a few minutes after we settled into our room to ask if all was okay, and if we needed anything. Next morning, we were late for breakfast, but they accommodated us anyway. They treated us like "celebreties" to say the least. And the food was excellent. Hotel was easy to find, lots of parking. Quiet.
Had a great stay, the breakfast was delicious good size portions. Service was great front desk staff friendly and welcoming. Everyone we encountered was friendly will most likely stay again thanks best western
All the staff encountered were friendly and professional, complimentary breakfast was hot and well made, bed was very comfortable, didn't have the opportunity to use the fitness room or visit the lounge. Would stay again when in the region.
Stayed two nights at the hotel for my son's national spot event. Outdated but average hotel with good breakfast. But extremely disappointed with this hotel at the 2nd day. While I was in the room in late afternoon, mid 60 year old woman opened the room door and walked in. I said I will check out tomorrow morning and asked her how you got the same room key. She said very sorry then gone. Then I went down the front desk. They said they never give the same room key to anyone. It's a good thing that we were in the room. Otherwise it would've been disastrous. I am a world traveler and definitely won't be staying here again!!
Not too many choices near Prince Albert Provincial Park but this was a good choice. Staff was very good and room was okay. We had a handicapped room which we didn't ask for. We didn't complain but probably could have switched if we did.
My second stay at the Best Western Marquis. Overall great hotel. On the edge of the city so not too close to the casino - for me that's a plus. All the other hotels are next door to the casino and I expect a more rough part of town. This location feels safe. Checkin was smooth, quick and easy. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast is included, and ordered custom, came hot and quick. Great morning meal!
Got it, checked sheets, two big greasy “footprint “ type of stains. Disgusting. Asked for bed to be remade. Told housekeeping gone for day but that someone could help me remake beds. Just given two mismatched sheets to try to cover up the stains. Hardly slept that night. Still itchy.
Two of us stayed here on a recent business trip. The hotel is well located with ample parking and very clean grounds. The front desk staff were superb and very efficient. The hotel common areas were clean and well laid out. The rooms were large, quiet very clean and well provisioned. The bed was excellent. The internet was flawless. Breakfast and breakfast staff were excellent. The only suggestion I would make is that it needs more power outlets in the room that are accessible to guests, because outlets were hard to come by. According to the General Manager, who I spoke to on check out, that will be coming in November with a general renovation of the hotel. I would definitely stay here again!!
Toilet seat was falling off toilet. Lamps and tables loaded with dust. Lousy staff Plugs ins located behind the bed against mattress. I kept feeling like I was getting zapped at night and couldn't figure out what was happening. The lamp plugged in to the outlet had been bumped out partially but still connected enough every time I moved it zapped me. On top of all of this they let us check in without a credit card imprint the first night. Then, the next morning they called and demanded an imprint or we would be evicted. We refused to leave without a refund as we had already paid for our entire stay. At first they refused. Then, they called the cops on us. We ended up only getting air miles back which I was told I should be grateful for as they normally don't do this. Never mind the fact that we have stayed there previously and were never required to give them an imprint in the past. Lousy management and owner of property. Will never stay there again and recommend no one else bothers either,
I'm a fan of Best Westerns. I've stayed in Best Western hotels for hundreds of nights across North America for business and pleasure. This is the one property that always leaves me with a bad experience. After staying here for a week while planning my fathers funeral I'll be back in Prince Albert frequently in the coming months to care for my mother, but I'll be looking for a different hotel. Housekeeping seems to have an unpublished time by which you must remove the DND sign or they will not make up your room. In the past 3 years it has happened to me every time I stay at this property. Sometimes it's 9:30 AM. Sometimes 11:00 AM. If you miss their pass by your room you're out of luck. Seriously? I can't sleep in until 9:30? I've repeatedly reached out to management and receive a response that they will look into it. This last time I stayed there I just got their standard "I'm sorry you're unhappy - come again " email. Anywhere else with decent service I get a call from housekeeping asking when would be an appropriate time to clean if the dnd sign is out. It seems here management can't deal with this and they have annoyed me for the last time.
I was charged for having my dogs in the room without being told there was a fee. Customer service was terrible, wasn't willing to reverse the charges. I had phoned the front desk, stated what room I was in and asked if it was ok for me to leave my dogs in my hotel room for an hour while I went for supper. The employee at the desk, who I talked with on my room phone said that it would be ok as along as my dogs were in their kennels, not wrecking the room or disturbing the guests. I said great thanks, kenneled my dogs, and left for an hour. I came back and everything was perfect, the dogs were in their kennels sleeping. However, the next morning is when I got an expensive surprise. The hotel has slipped a piece of paper under my room door with a $300 fee for leaving the dogs unattended. This was ridiculous as I had phoned the previous night and asked if I could leave and come back and the hotel said it would be fine. I went to the front desk to talk to someone about this unnecessary charge, but the employee was unapproachable and unreasonable. The employee had claimed that we had not told them we had dogs with us, and that they tried to phone our hotel room to tell us that our dogs were barking They claimed that our dogs were disturbing guests by barking and they had to move a couple to a different room. First of all, it is supposed to be a dog friendly hotel, so of course there are going to be dogs barking occasionally. There were other dogs in the hotel so it could have been them barking too. Secondly, there was no message on our hotel room phone, which means that nobody at the hotel tried to contact our room about our dogs. The employee would not even begin to discuss the extra charge and told me that I have to pay it no matter what. Frustrated, I left the front desk, packed up my luggage and dogs, and left the hotel immediately. When I got home after a long drive, there was a message on my home phone from the hotel. The same employee that I talked to on the hotel room phone and the one that was unreasonable at the front desk left a message that accused me of "abandoning" my dogs at the hotel. This person had the audacity to accuse me of "abandoning" my dogs when I had asked if I could leave them and come back. This idiot could not figure out how to work the hotel room phone system and instead called my home phone, which does not good considering I am out of town and staying at a hotel. Long story short, I will never stay at this hotel again.
Stayed before. Nice enough. But this time, found top sheet of my king bed with oily footmarks (?). I was given a new sheet but no offer to help me put it on so just put on top. Slept poorly all night - itchy. Not impressed at all. I phoned down that evening to complain and was told 10,000 BW points. But I guess this was exaggerated 10x. Very disappointed and will be looking for new place to stay in PA on my twice-annual round trip drive. :-(
Couple problems such as noise early morning (5:30 AM). room keys not working have to go down stairs to get it done. Fitness room average. Breakfast is really good every morning. Resturant is not having much option of vegetarian food, should have some option
We had a great stay. I was very impressed by the immaculately clean room and great comfortable beds! We enjoyed the excellent food in the restaurant that was very reasonably priced. The staff was friendly and efficient.
One particular staff at check in is not good at customer service. There was a policy that an imprint of the card was required. This manual imprint machine from the 70s didnt even work as the last 3 digits of every customer card needs to be written out. People who pay cash are required to leave a 300 dollar deposit while CC users only 100.00. The lady at the counter endlessly supplied the word "No" at every possible solution I offered to my problem. Once you are in at this hotel the experience is good but getting past the filters at check-in was unbearable.
This is an excellent hotel with a very good restaurant, lounge and the guest rooms are superb and very well appointed with great beds and linens, a nice sitting are, large TV and good work desk space.
Canada has 2 official languages. Spanish is not one of them. We were there for a business meeting and several times we heard Spanish being spoken by your cleaners and people at the desk. Makes us wonder if they were talking about us or who they were talking about that they didn't want to hear? You will want to work on that.
Our breakfast that should be so quick considering we were the only 2 people in the restaurant that wasn't fed took 24 minutes. Food was cold and dried out but plates were hot from sitting on the heating table in the kitchen. Staff never called back when they specifically said they were busy and would call me back
Was not impress by the low quality and the lack of service friendliness by far very disappointed in my stay i got a corner room could see all the broken furniture in the outside storage left by the hotel. The room need new modern furniture. Water would make extreme noise when i open the faucet dirty sheets not impress at all of this BW and i usually stay at BW but this one i will avoided if possible quality is low compare to what the standard should be.
all was great from our room to the restaurant and the food. we don't travel to much but love staying with this hotel when we do.I loved the breakfast options and the service was quick and hot , they know how to make feel welcomed!
Clean, comfortable. Adjoining rooms have no sound barriers but still a great stay. Great staff. Great full breakfast, not a basic continental breakfast. Would stay again. The welcome gift from the rewards was a nice surprise.
The entire staff is remarkable - so caring and welcoming. A very special thank you to Flo, Anita, Pooja and Alaa for all that you did to help us through our long-term stay after Dad's passing, mom's husband of 66 years. Being from out of town, a home base was needed in Prince Albert during this time. You will always be remembered.
We booked a room for four people through Air miles, selected king suite as it was offered. thinking it would sleep four.On check in discovered only one bed, front desk said they were full and could not do anything because booked through Airmiles. so slept on couch with no pillows-none left and one blanket. was told by Rude boy at desk sun morning they don't know how many people are booked in room when done through Air miles and no apology about pillows because they were full. Not prepared to do a damn thing because it was booked through third party,i guess those customers are not important.
The Best Western is a welcome stop for the weary traveller. This hotel and staff pays attention to all the important details: room furniture, sheets & pillows and towels are first rate and very comfortable. The breakfast is excellent with great service from an attentive and happy staff. Try the Turkey Club sandwich for lunch !
Very nice room. Quiet and a good location for my work trip. Breakfast was a typical breakfast. Their gym could use some free weights and gym mats. Tim's very close to this location. Staff were good. Main lobby bathrooms were very nice and updated.
Thank you for being pet friendly hotel , got a very nice pet treats bag from Front desk staff when we were check in , we are truly appreciate it . Very nice hotel and staffs, for sure will be back again.
Housekeeping staff keep the rooms tidy and leave a welcome note when I check into my room, also the breakfast was amazing because they offer table service hot breakfast , a lots better than buffet . Very good all around experience and all staff were extremely diligent in their jobs, thank you .
Nice, quiet stay. Excellent food in the restaurant. Breakfast that was included with the room was served in the restaurant, which I prefer, not the typical buffet. Friendly, helpful staff, providing good service.
The rooms had bed bugs, stains on the sheets and stunk like smoke. The hotel staff are helpful and apologetic, it's unfortunate that they have to work in such a dump. Unless you absolutely have to stay in Prince Albert I would suggest you drive back to Saskatoon to get a decent hotel.
Terrible customer service and the room stunk of smoke . I had drunk people screaming in their room for hours until 3:30am I called security via the front desk they came up and knocked on their door and they continued screaming and keeping noise Security came again and knocked on the door asking the Yahoos to be quiet but they didn't evict them and then the next morning refused to return the money and wouldn't give me the manager phone number so I plan to phone head office and demand a refund a terrible hotel with lots of drunks and unfriendly and unhelpful customer service The only nice thing was the breakfast and the nice customer service in the cafe. Would never stay here again and I'll be fighting to get my money back as I had no sleep and they didn't follow the best western policy of returning the money and evicting the offender after security comes twice to tell people to be quiet I got two hours of sleep and then the front desk had the audacity to say that security only came up once to the room so they couldnt evict the people or refund me money because I booked through Expedia is a blatant lie. Stay away from this place if you can. They have no good customer service and the rooms are paper thin and smell of smoke and do not care about noise levels and drunks.
Everthing about this hotel worked out to my satisfication. The only small issue about this hotel was that the computer in the office use area was not working. Breakfast was served in there on restaurant based on a seltion from the menu.
I went to go meet my husband for the day, and I had to spend the night because I do not want to drive at night. I got a room right away I had to put a deposit, down but I got my refund back in the morning. And i was well rested.
Just a short one night stay here on the way to Prince Albert National Park. We found the rooms to be clean, comfortable and very affordable. Breakfast in the morning was pretty good as well--better than some best westerns with those horrible instant eggs and their breakfast rooms. Staff were kind and friendly, but not terribly knowledgable about the region itself if you're a bonafide tourist. Do your studies about tourism in north and central Saskatchewan well in advance...the govt shut down all their visitor centres so you're pretty much on your own if a question crops up!
After a long day on the road, this Hotel made us feel very welcome. The room was specious and clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Food in the Restaurant was reasonably priced with large portions. The hotel has decent amenities, and the service was exceptional.
My room was very nicely furnished - large sumptuous bed with luxurious sheets and pillows, very comfortable sofa & chairs and a good desk for working. The large screen TV is a very nice bonus ! Washroom amenities are a very good quality. The breakfast was very well done and an excellent start to the day's journeys. The staff are very friendly and accommodating and know how to make one feel welcome.
Hotel has comfortable beds, clean rooms, good restaurant with super service; it's in a great location, has a good appearance, and overall is a great choice of hotel. We returned to the same hotel for a 2nd night a few days after the first, and were happy to stay there again.
This is an updated inn with very nice rooms, an attached bar and liquor store. The staff is well trained and very friendly. The bed are very comfortable. If you are in town for a sports event or celebration the facilities are close by.
After a small hiccup in room quality all went well. Its a one time heavy smoker hotel with a loud bar attached but they have made a move to overcome that.. a little. When hotels allow pets they must keep the rooms for pets well designated and separate form the main rooms. What many do not comprehend is dogs sweat through their feet. No matter how well you vacuum a rug the smell of wet dog will develop and wont easily be removed. Such was the case in our initial suite. The rest of the stay was good. The restaurant is excellent. Was the best we have had this year for an included breakfast. Dinner: The chef is a very well experienced individual blending flavours far above the hotel's station. imo
We stayed at this hotel for two nights on June 23 and 24th. The check in with Audrey and Jessica was friendly and efficient. The room was well appointed and very clean. The beds were comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was very good. All staff were polite and friendly. All in all I would recommend this property for your stay in Prince Albert!
Stayed here one night. Room was not clean. The hotel was full and it was noisy. The restaurant food was good but overpriced. Breakfast was in the restaurant and service was slow. Dealing with the front desk is a nightmare. They don't seem to care about any complaints. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. There are plenty of other places in town.
We recently went to stay here and got in fairly late. We got checked in and went to our hotel room and as soon as we walked in the door we could smell that the room reeked of marijuana smoke. We went to the front desk and got put in another room. I went to use the washroom and the toilet seat was up. I put it down and the toilet seat has a bunch of dried up pee on it. We were disgusted and wondered what else hadn't been clean if something so obvious was so dirty. We went to the front desk again and had to wait over forty five minutes while various calls were made. It was getting very late and we had an early rise in the morning. We waited and waited in the lobby and the person they had called on the phone decided they would get the security guard to disinfect the toilet seat and we would have to go back to that room. Not offered another room- or absolutely nothing. We asked for a refund as we didn't feel comfortable staying in that room that was dirty in such obvious places. I will say that the security guard and the lady at the front desk were very nice, but because of the cleanliness we will not be staying here again! We were also told the general manager would personally call us the next day to discuss our experience but this also never happened!
I stayed there the weekend of the provincial track and field event this hotel nicked up the prices by over $70 per night for this weekend which was typical and expected. However I wasn't expecting to be woken up at 6am due to the radio been played very loudly in the kitchen. Then when we went for breakfast we had to wait 20 minutes to get our drinks which was a cup of tea and a small glass of chocolate milk. We then had to wait another 20 minutes to get our food which was a bagel with cream cheese and an plate of hash browns 3 bits of cold bacon and poached eggs which were hard boiled and rubbery. While waiting for our breakfast one of the cleaners was vacuuming the reception area for the whole time we waited for our food, the noise was high pitched and never ending. The whole experience is something other people should avoid. At check out the man vacuuming was behind the desk working and at least turned it off while I was there I was asked if I enjoyed my stay I said no and explained what was wrong the lady at the desk told me a manager would call me first thing on Monday morning it is now Friday and I haven't had a call from anyone. Poor service from this hotel they got our money and don't care that we had a terrible stay. That day I had to drive home which was a 5hr drive and thanks to being woken up too early subjected to loud noise I had a splitting headache I would strongly recommend staying at any other hotel in this area
We stayed there on the weekend and the hotel was fantastic with very clean and comfortable rooms. We stayed in a King suite and it was very roomy and spotless. The staff was fantastic and so was the complimentary breakfast which we get to choose what we want for our selection so it is custom made and fresh. Cannot say enough about this great hotel with a great location also.
don't want to stay here unless you have to . the service is the pits. have to ask for everything . had to stay here for 3 weeks and had to ask for everything . restaraunt has good food but could take an hour to get served. don't leave you do not disturb sing on the door past 9 in the morning or they won't touch your room for nothing. we were a group of 7 rooms and the staff at the hotel sent the police to one of our rooms at 2 in the morning and had to wake our friends up looking for a one legged man who didn't have a name that even resembled any of our names. real profesionllity. a real dump
Nice front end staff. Check-in was flawless. It is a very clean hotel. Nice rooms. Nice little restaurant waiters were exceptionally polite. I did not expect this to be what it was. Quick check out was appreciated.Definitely would stay there again. Pleasant surprise.
Stayed here on a business trip, the room was very nice and there was lots of space for all my stuff. I would definitely stay at this BW again as it was very quiet, and my room was at the back of the hotel by the bar, felt safe and the staff was very helpful.
Travelling home from Regina and needed a place to spend one night. Location is away from main traffic routes and hotel is quite quiet. Easy to get to restaurants, shopping, entertainment, etc. Will stay here again.
All the staff were very helpful and courteous and the room was great as well as an awesome breakfast. I was pleasantly surprised when both me and my pup Sugar Rae both got a welcome gift upon check in and she really loved her new stuffed toy.
The hotel was quite clean with a simple elegant ambiance in the room and lobby. We found the staff to be helpful and efficient. As for the cafe, the food's presentation could had been better; pale toast, bacon, etc. is not something we like.
this hotel was a pleasant surprize . front desk clerks day and night were very freindly and courteous. the room was clean and tv was bigger then others we stayed at before. shower was very powerful that was a bonus ??. beds were comfortable. breakfast is included with room another plus .
This was my first time staying at this hotel. The booking was a great experience. The employee who looked after me made sure I got the best deal possible for my stay. When checking into the hotel, the employee was very pleasant. I was given a small gift bag with a few treats in it which was very much appreciated. The room was a fair size. The only thing was that the rug void have been vacuumed a little better. The breakfast was good. You get a choice and they bring you what you check off on the breakfast menu. You can actually get a hot breakfast that is included with the room price. Plenty of parking and there are plugins. Would definitely stay again!
Just wanted to share that the staff all around were professional and courteous! Rooms were very clean and up to date. I will tell all family of this hotel! This is our 2nd visit to this hotel and it is well worth a mention.
The hotel was the nicest and cleanest in PA. Definitely my first choice. The rooms are clean. The staff is friendly. The hotel has a clean fitness center with decent equipment Nice, big, new Televisions. Solid place
From check in to check out I experienced no issues. The staff were very kind and helpful and made sure all my needs were met. The decor of the rooms especially blew my mind. It made me feel comfortable and at ease. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone!
I can't say enough good things about this location. The staff are welcoming and truly focused on customer service. They understand that as Saskatchewan business travelers we are often subject to the whims of weather and roads and are extremely accommodating. The welcome bag at check-in is a real treat, and the made-to-order breakfast is the best one in town. I always look forward to my next stay at the Best Western Marquis Inn and Suites in Prince Albert.
My family and I stayed here for one night while in town for a Hockey tournament. Very accommodating staff, clean rooms, reasonable price and great location considering we were there with our kids. Trust me, staying on the strip near all the bars and casino is not a good thing when your in town with the family for a tournament. The noise level was high, but i'm OK with that considering it was the weekend and we were with our hockey team.I know there was at least one other team staying there as well.
After originally booking at the cities selection of horrendous Choice Branded hotels, I stumbled across this Best Western. Even though it is an old hotel the interior is gorgeous and has been well maintained. My room was clean and tidy and I really had s great sleep. Thanks again Best Western!
The best Western is the best hotel in Prince Albert great suites with adjustable bed, large Tv and all the usual amenities Clean room and on suite friendly and professional staff make a stay here comfortable and relaxing
Clean hotel, little noisy in the night; location not the best but depends what you are doing! Lounge area, was not the best atmosphere, but good service and good food; Decor is rooms is older, could do some updates, but it's clean!
We stayed for two nights with a sports team. We had to complete a breakfast order form the night before. Thought this would make breakfast service more efficient but exactly the opposite happened. They prepared all of the plates and had them laid them out on a dining table. E say and looked at these plates for 20 Minutes before they served them. Never did bring coffee around or coffee top up. Never did bring around our cold drinks. All of which were 'preordered'
I thought the rooms were way over priced for the style of room, location of the hotel and the amenities available. I am not sure if I would recommend this hotel or ever stay there again. If they lowered their prices maybe.
Only hotel we will stay When we come to Prince Albert. Love this hotel and the staff are always helpful and courteous. Hotel rooms are always clean as well as the lobby and front area. Also love the complementary coffee in front lobby!
I was blamed for smoking marijuana in my room while my children were in the room with us when we were staying there doing some Christmas shopping & billed twice the rate for damages that did not occur.
April and Andi are some of the most helpful and friendly servers we have had. This free breakfast couldn't be a better deal, only made incredible by these two ladies. Thanks!!! Make sure this is the place to book in Prince Albert!!!!
Had a myriad of problems in the wee hours of the night. Fights in the adjoining room, people knocking on my door, calls being put through to my hotel room (not for me), all between 4:00 and 6:00 AM. It was terrible! The front desk felt all proud and offered 10% off for my trouble. Whoopee Ding.
This hotel is the only hotel I stay at when in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. I have had exceptional service this past stay in December 2017 and the Manager is very good at helping customers! I can assure you that as an overnight visitor to the hotel you will receive excellent service under the Manager managing the hotel. Any issues that you may have will be dealt with professionally and expeditiously by the Manager. The Manager and her staff truly need to be commended!
Hotel and room were clean, staff was friendly and helpful No shower curtain for some reason, but no big deal. Would stay there again. the location was close to where I needed to be. lots of local services available to that location
Very surprised at the quality of the rooms. Top notch linens, window coverings, Huge digital TV, Top notch coffee and toiletries I. The room. Very comfortable King Size bed and great pillows. Rooms bathroom with Rainforest shower head. Truly one of my better stays as very quiet although hotel sold out with hockey teams. Breakfast was very good as well. I give it the highest rating but the same cannot be said for the restaurant at night. Good breakfast. Dinner and dessert need work. But they are trying and I will speak to them and I know they will fix it. They have a “we want to be the best attitude” I will stay again.
Excellent hotel 5 min from the Art Hauser arena where we were playing. Staff were great. Breakfast was great. Gave us a drying room for our team free of charge. Perfect location to meet our needs thank
I have stayed at this hotel roughly 10 times within the past year for a estimated 40 nights total. Front desk staff is always amazing and work quickly to attend to your needs/ check in and check out. Twice I have had an issue with my room not being cleaned but I don't count that as a big deal as I am not messy. Plus staff always made sure the room was cleaned the next day and reported the problem to their staff. I have tried all the hotels in Prince Albert and there is this one and only one other I will stay at. Very good hotel.
My mother and I stayed at hotel while my father was in hospital. My mother is not mobile but the manager Rejoy and all of her staff made sure that all of our needs were taken care of promptly. Their kindness was much appreciated.
it was very good and awesome, I like the hotel room and service, very convenient. lounge was really fancy. awesome. solo business couples family friends, it was excellent. Toronto maple leafs will the cup this season against oilers with Matthews and Mcdavid getting goals left and right. but Matthews will hart ross as the mvp.
This is the hotel we stay in when visiting family. The rooms are spacious, clean and attractive. The location is close to A&W,Tim Horton's,Coop gas bar and other facilities. The hot breakfast is generous sized portions.
business Room was good..Would recommed to other Staff to have their supper out there. The Staff are friendly and they will do what is ask of them what is needed. Internet service was good as well. Thank You for the stay in your Hotel..
We find that the Best Western is always our place to stay when we can. The staff aim to please. There really is nothing to complain about except maybe some minor details once in a while which you will find in most hotels.
I needed a hotel to stay quickly and booked over the phone, had everything emailed to me, the check in was seamless and easy and the staff very friendly. I received a guest complimentary bag with treats and a list for complimentary breakfast in the morning. My room was colorful and felt comfortable and luxurious for economical price I paid for room. Easy check out the next morning and used the complimentary hot water on the coffee stand for some tea for the road!
good value staff was very good room was excellent and bed was comfortable would stay their again. The nice thing is the breakfast was to order which is better than most hotels in the area which have a cold breakfast or the regular hours old try food
This is a great location, great hotel in Prince Albert! It is in a good location, with an A&W, Tim Horton's, CO-OP gas station and other places nearby. There is a great restaurant inside the hotel, with a free hot breakfast included with your stay. Highly recommended!
2nd time staying at this hotel. Old, outdated. Do not order the room service as it is "take-out" and you have to pick your meal up . Had an overdone steak packaged in styrofoam, plastic utensils, soggy fries, etc. Gym outdated and under equipped Staff very friendly and great hot breakfast.
We stayed one night at this hotel. We had a very relaxing stay enjoyed the Mini Suite. We were in the city to attend a wedding. We have stayed at this hotel numerous times in the past.We would recommend this hotel.Staff was excellent.
Room was not cleaned and had no cleaning staff at 9 pm to clean it so went to a different hotel. There were dirty clothes still in the room as well food all over the floor. Bedding was not clean as well.
Service was excellent. The overall experience was excellent. You cannot go wrong with this hotel. The food and service in the restaurant will give you a great start to your morning. The price was good and the room was very clean. The front desk staff were one of the best I have experienced. You cannot go wrong with this choice.
Best Western in Prince Albert is great, they are very consistent with the service they provide. Staff are always working to make your stay perfect. If you are staying in Prince Albert, I recommend this place as it is close to main strip, casino and shopping just down the hill.
Stayed at the hotel for just one night. The room was clean and quiet. Not the best view from the window, but I didnt care much. Breakfast was pretty good as well. Will gladly stay at the hotel again if ever in this area again.
My wife and I spent 2 enjoyable nights in October. Our king suite was nicely done up and very comfortable. All of our dealings with the staff were very good. The free order your breakfast table service was a nice change from the normal buffet space food breakfasts you see other places.
Travelled for a family birthday and stayed in room #129 King Suite - very spacious! The hotel was quiet for a long weekend and we were welcomed with a snack bag as we are Best Western members. Couldn't ask for better price or location. And the breakfast includes ordering from a menu and table service - awesome breakfast!!
The rooms are excellent but the service and the breakfast are below average. I would recommend as a nice place for the night but don't waste you time on the breakfast. The beds and the rooms were excellent and I would recommend them but the service at check-in and check-out was not professional.
Overall the lodging experience was excellent. No issues encountered during the stay. Staff were friendly/courteous and included breakfast meal option was a outstanding. Location of the hotel and quiet location made for a good night's sleep after a long day of work.
It was a decent hotel & convenient, easy to get around. The restaurant was ok, The bedroom was kind of small, They have a bar located in the same area near the back of the building, The staff were helpful.
I have tried a few hotels in Prince Albert and have not been very impressed. I had thought this was the overall theme for Prince Albert hotels. I stayed at the Best Western when my son had a hockey game and was more than impressed with the service and state of the hotel. The Front Desk staff was very professional, the breakfast was great, it's made to order which is nice compared to the usual buffet style egg slop. I will definitely be returning!
Very nice Jr King suite, great decor, nice restaurant and great service. One of the best Best Westerns that I have stayed in. This is an older hotel but the renovations have been very well done. The front desk staff were excellent both on arriving and during checkout, both in finding availble discounts and making certain our stay had met our expectations.
Free breakfast is the best part and very comfortable king size beds in the king suites for the price. Awesome overall experience. I would recommend this hotel to anyone for any occasion. Computers and
The room was clean and tidy. The staff were very pleasant and gave us ideas as to where to go. At check in we were given a gift consisting of juice and munchies. We really appreciated this as my husband needs a snack to eat with medication. I really liked the breakfast menu that we were given. You could siti in your room and decide what you would like for your complimentary hot breakfast. In the morning you took your menu and handed to the host. No need to wait. Super service. Would return anytime.
Very clean. Comfy bed. Staff was great and table service for breakfast. We visited the lounge and it was clean and service was also great. Public areas were all very well kept. You won't find a better place to stay in PA.
Restaurant was over staffed and service was very very slow took. 20min after seating for anyone to come talk to us food was cold glasses for beverages were the smallest I've ever seen complained to the staff about the restaurant and they weren't interested to what we had to say like they hear it a lot and didn't wanna hear it anymore
Great location to everything you need.. The Spicy Pepper is a very good place to eat right next door to the Hotel.. The staff are very helpful and friendly.. Only thing is the Hotel needs new BEDS!!They are very hard and uncomfortable..
great staff, rooms are clean and nivr, lounge is rough. check in goes very well due to their efficient desk staff. I like the location at the edge of town as there are fewer stragglers when you are out for a walk
I am appreciated all the staffs there, especially front dest staffs. The staff helped me to find a cancel room for me when all the rooms were booked. When I complained about the noise of the room, the morning staff dealt with it for me. I didn't need to argue with them at all. Over all, they are confidence and empower to serve. They are best.
I've stayed in several hotels in Prince Albert when unable to find a room at the Best Western and can say with confidence that this is the best i have encountered in the city. Furthermore, the staff are some of the most interpersonal and genuinely helpful staff I have seen at almost any hotel I have been to and I do alot of travelling. I very much enjoy the location in the safer part of town as I am often transporting valuable product with me when on the road. The breakfast is top notch and the rooms are modern and well kept. There is a nice sports bar on site as well for watching football games when in town. The tall guy and tall girl at the Front Desk were also super helpful when I came in late without a reservation at finding me a bed and breakfast when the town was full because of wildfires in the area.
We had an excellent experience with this hotel. The breakfast was excellent and options were provided. We were very pleased with the total experience of our stay. The room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable.
Non smoking room smelled like stale smoke, needed Benadryl to make though the night. front desk and assistant manager made aware of it, did nothing to resolve problem. Next stay will be somewhere else.
To be honest, the room was very dirty, dust on all the furniture, the A/C didn't work. Garbage and dirty towels all along our hallway. Over all for what we paid won't be back. There are better hotel choices in Prince Albert.
Our stay was for 3 nights. Had suite for $125/night. Suite large with sitting area for watching TV/visiting. Bed very comfortable. Internet very good. Complimentary hot breakfast excellent, several choices. Had massage bed with only 1 side working, but still a perk. They didn't repair while we were there. Close to Casino, golf course, and Downtown Mall area.
Really enjoyed our stay in Prince Albert, SK. twice; except for the fact that we had 3 jugs of fuel stolen from the back of our truck. Could use more security cameras around. Breakfast & Suppers at the restaurant were great.
Dirty, smelly, bad attitudes from the staff. The shower water temperature is extremely hot and cold alternating and unpredictable. Absolutely one of the very worst hotels I have ever had. I am a frequent business traveller and have stayed in some dive motels and this place by far sets a new record. If you don't get robbed in the parking lot, you can certainly expect urine on your car in the morning. There is a really seedy bar in the hotel with an even seedier crowd roaming the parking lot. So noisy I barely slept. Seriously, stay elsewhere.
I have stayed many times at this hotel ,never again ,very bad upper management, rooms were pretty dirty ,bed sheets haven't been changed forever, housekeeping steals the change left in the room ,I would never recommend it stay at this hotel
As a travelling businessman that spends six months a year in hotels I've never experienced such a horribly managed property. We had items and cash stolen by the housekeeping staff. The state of the rooms was terrible after they were cleaned and management refused to accept any responsibility. I will never stay in a best western again just based on the absolutely ridiculous experience. The manager Fasan is a child and I'm not sure who made this incompetent child a manager of anything. His complete disregard for our situation was incredibly insulting. His solution to our problem was to evict us from the hotel (3 rooms for 2 weeks) what a horrible business practice especially when we stay there 3 times a year for 2 weeks at a time. Don't stay here you will regret it!
Rooms were quite stuffy and did not smell fresh at all. The rate was a little bit pricey but atleast a full breakfast at the restaurant downstairs is included. Nice to have a lounge, offsale and restaurant in the same building. Very thing walls room to room.
Excellent service, great value considering price and location. The hotel is very clean, spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was very unique for a Best Western. You went to the restaurant and were given a card to make your breakfast selections. The menu selection was excellent as in any full service establishment. Your selection was then delivered to your table. If visiting in the area give this hotel consideration.
We always stay here when in Prince Albert for the following reasons - it is pet friendly, the rooms are clean and well furnished, they offer a good rate on a king sized bedroom with a pull out couch and the room is a good size, and finally - the breakfast. Full breakfast included in the room for all 3 of us - that is some considerable savings. And the food is tasty and the coffee is fresh. The service is excellent from all staff members - Jaryn is particularly outstanding and goes above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable. On the weekends, I've noticed they hire security - which I appreciated. Only thing missing is a pool!
It's nothing fancy, but was clean and comfortable. We did not spend a lot of time at the actual hotel as we were in town for a reunion. For the time we did spend there it was quiet and just what we expected. Having the lounge/vendor attached was convenient but may be why our family did not recommend we stay there.
Staff was super polite .The check in was really fast and smooth . Rooms were very clean . The breakfast in morning was superb. Really impressed by restaurant and front desk staff.Would love to stay here again :)
The staff was very friendly and helpful. My daughter loved the goodie bag she got when we checked in. Front desk located us to better room as we required quite area. Perfect bedding and cleaning. Special compliment for complimentary breakfast with enough options for hot or cold food. We will stay again in this hotel.
We were relocated to 3 different rooms in an 8 hr period. 1st room (4:00 p.m.) dirty floor and dusty, air-conditioning sucked, bathroom sink drain pipe was leaking. 2nd room ( 7:30 p.m.) strong chemical scent, filthy floor & wall by fridge, sheets were not changed; covered in hair and dried food, possible blood on blanket. 3rd room (11:30 p.m.) black ring in tub, your fingers left marks when rubbing it, sock and garbage left in room from previous guests, the bathroom counter, blow dryer, edging on sink counter were all caked in dust, the top of the headboard/curtain rods were caked in dust. We had 4 nights booked checked out after 1 night, showed the desk Manger how bad the rooms were and they had pictures also and we would never stay here again. They offered us discounted rates for the 4 days we said not a chance, we said their Hotel is not up to Best Western Standards and we have never experienced this with other Best Western Hotels anywhere in Canada. Only good thing was a young man that helped relocate us each time was very nice and the free breakfast cooked and served by staff was tasty. Another hotel chain took us in for the next 3 nights and treated us like royalty and we had clean rooms and beds to sleep in.
Poor clean up of room sheets not changed for 3 days holes in towels Overall just poor cleaning staff Free breakfast was good On last day only one waitress on so run off her feet Food cold could not eat Not her fault
Been a while since I was last here, so the changes to the location are noticeable. Staff continue to be a real gem here, making things smooth and helpful. But now the rooms and overall condition of the hotel has received some well deserved investment. I've good comfortable rooms, well running water and plumbing, and even neat and tidy trash cans! Well done!
Awesome stay every time, love the service and it's very quiet and comforting plus delicious free breakfast for a great price. I enjoyed every stay with my family and would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family.
My experience at this hotel is best experience i ever had. My room is clean & smell fresh. I love the way front desk employee welcome me & help me to get in room. I like express checkout, complimentary breakfast and welcome bag.
What a pleasure it is to stay at this hotel. The staff is always warm and welcoming, the rooms are thoughtfully decorated with curtains that keep out the morning light. The hotel is pet friendly and the breakfast is always a delicious treat. The location is central to getting around PA and I would recommend this affordable hotel to anyone needing a place to stay while visiting PA.
Location was good, everything is close in PA. The front dest staff were very nice but the surprise was the free breakfast. Usually you get pre-prepared rubber omelettes and toast but the best western had a full breakfast with either fruit, yogurt etc or eggs bacon, sausage, home fries coffee and juice. Also a reasonable rate. We recommend it.
No hot water in shower, broken and non-working coffee maker, and a breakfast that was cold. Newspapers would be a nice option. Because I prepaid for my room, no financial compensation was offered. Just a minimum number of Best Western points. The meal at the restaurant the night before was okay. You can hear the people talking in the next room, even if they are whispering. Parking fine. Cleanliness fine.
Totally enjoy our stay, the hotel was just a short distance from where the family gathering was held. Our dog enjoyed his stay as well and totally enjoyed the toys he received upon arrival. The breakfast had a great variety, only wish we could have had juice along with our coffee.
We would highly recommend this hotel to our family and friends. We arrived quite late. The desk staff promptly looked after getting us checked in. We were given a small courtesy goodie bag when we arrived, which we thought was a nice extra treat. The room was a little on the chilly side for us when we arrived but the temperature is easy to use and the room warmed up quickly. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
Enjoyed our stay. Room was clean and comfortable. Quiet part of town. Pet friendly - they even gave our dog a welcome gift! Staff were efficient and friendly, plus the room rate included full breakfast too!
Hotel was pleasant but what ever you do don't forget anything as you wont get it back. Not impressed that they did not get back my iPhone charger; especially when I stated that I would be back on July 19 and they could give it to me then. I am definitely biased on the service due to the none recovery from Housekeeping if my iPhone charge that I had left in the Bathroom wall plug.
We were in PA for a family wedding at the Ches Leach Lounge which is adjacent to the Marquis Inn. The hotel has been recently upgraded and is very attractive and a good value. The staff is excellent. The sit down breakfast is included in the price and is very good.
We had a great stay in the Marquis Inn & suites in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. We had a great check-in experience and the rooms were fabulous and very clean. We enjoyed the care bags that were given to us! Thanks to everyone who made our stay so enjoyable!
We came to PA for a graduation and this hotel was very well located to all amenities. The staff was very friendly and the room we book was clean and lovely. Best part was the fast and friendly service at breakfast each day.
One night get away with my family, we hardly ever get to travel anymore but when we do, the hotel we prefer is Best Western/ Marquis Inn & Suites!!! It's location is not only perfect for us, the rooms are clean and staff are helpful!!
Very comfortable hotel with good value for accommodation. The staff are the best ever encountered. Location is excellent .. easy to find and handy to major traffic arteries. Restaurant staff were very helpful and so pleasant. We felt we were at home. We could highly recommend this location.
Nice hotel with restaurant attached. Very clean and a good location with good parking. Restaurants within walking distance. Bed was comfortable, pillows (all 6) were lumpy. Decor is a bit oppressive with dark browns, mustard yellows and burnt oranges and heavy brocade beadspreads with massive faux leather headboards. Free breakfast has conditions attached - where, when, what and how much you eat and drink. Would stay here again if I had to but not by personal choice.
Stayed in the hotel which were great but all the meals we had in restaurant were cold and poor quality.Front desk staff and housekeeping staff excellent. Restaurant staf and food and menu needs ALOT of work.
what a really nice hotel with good rooms and excellent service. We were very pleased with our family suite we booked, it had lots of room for visiting and entertaining the family. And the complimentary breakfast was the BEST we have ever had in our travels. We are so happy we booked at Best Western!
Front desk staff were great. Expedited check in/check out. Room was clean/comfortable/modern. Offered full breakfast in the morning. Internet service was great. We wanted for nothing. Would definitely recommend.
We often stay at the Best Western Marquis Inn. The number one reason is its proximity to Prime Minister's park. However, we also stay because the hotel is very clean, the staff are always friendly and accommodating and the breakfast is outstanding. Well worth the stay to have complimentary bacon and made to order eggs with great coffee every morning. Free shuttle to the casino if you are interested in that. And the welcome bag with snacks is appreciated. This last trip my only issues would be the exceptionally cold hallway ( which as I understand most hotels don't actually heat their hallways) and the parking lot/exterior grounds needed attention. To be fair there was a large number of guests in town for a fastball tournament and the windy , rainy weather had contributed to blowing garbage around.
The price was good for the room although there were little things like a dirty towel, torn bed skirt, and no free water with room service (had to call down several times as they were too busy to take a room service order) that made the stay average. The breakfast was stone cold and greasy, the toast had blobs of margarine in the middle. The serving staff and check in person were fantastic, however.
We selected Best Western as we have stayed at these hotels many times before, although never before in Prince Albert . Our first impression was of a warm reception by front desk staff, very helpful and welcoming.
We travelled to Prince Albert for a family interment and I usually try to stay at Best Western and was happy with my choice Staff was very friendly and accommodating It was clean and good breakfast!! When checking in it looked like a hockey team was there for a tournament and we thought Oh Oh but it was very quiet!!!
Staff at check in were very cordial and accommodating. They had smiles on their faces and made us feel welcome. Then presented us with a gift bag. The decor of the room was very attractive. The room was very clean and inviting with very little noise out in the hallway. The staff in the restaurant were very accommodating and made us feel like we're the most important people in the restaurant. They were friendly and went out of their way to serve our table promptly. Our coffee cups were never empty. Parking available was excellent and spacious. We have stayed in your place of business the past 3 years and plan again the same next year.
The hotel staff was very friendly and courteous. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The restaurant was clean, the food was good and the restaurant staff were fast and friendly.Have stayed here twice and would do so again.
Amazing service by a very friendly staff. The room was great and had a very comfy bed We stay every time we go through PA Can't say enough good things about it. I don't know where they find their wait staff in the restaraunt because they're top notch. Just book it!!!
Location us easy to get to. The front desk was ready at check in and check out was fast and convent. Would recommend to people for business or pleasure.Good service at sit down breakfast versus most with sale buffets.
When we are in P.A. we always pick this Hotel. It is pet friendly and the staff are so friendly. The rooms are spotless, the bed and bedding are fantastic.. The restaurant food and staff are great. Not fine dining, The hot breakfast in the morning was excellent. On arrival we had 2 gift bags waiting in our room. One with snacks for us and one with 2 dog toys for our poodle. Very nice Hotel..
TERRIBLE. Don't stay here. The staff act like they don't want to be there. The room was dirty and we had to ask for extra towels and TP both nights. Breakfast was a joke - not a continental style - selection is limited and portions are small unless u like hash browns. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!!
We enjoyed our stay at the Best Western in Prince Albert. It was not far from the church and hall where we attended our friend's wedding. The Hotel was very clean. Pleasant staff and good breakfast. If we are in Prince Albert again in the future, we would consider staying at the Best Western Hotel again.
The free breakfast was awesome. The rooms were very neat and tidy. Staff very friendly. However there was no garbage cans outside in the back parking lot. There was an ashtray at each door but no garbage cans for the dog waste and debris that was on the gound
The rooms were nice and the hotel was modern, but the walls were very thin. We could hear everything happening in the next room. The group of men staying in the room next to us were not purposely being loud, but they woke us up at 7:30am and it was too loud to get back to sleep.
Fantastic breakfast! Only stayed here one night, but overall, had a pleasant stay. Only down side - rooms not overly sound proof - could hear people out in hall talking and people in next room coughing.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good but is typically horribly slow on Saturdays. Give yourself at least 1.5 hours if you have some place to be. Wish the internet kept you signed in for the duration of your stay. Rooms can be loud as you can hear anyone with loud voices in the room next to you or the television next door. Hotels in P.A. are expensive for the location in my opinion. I assume it's because it's a casino destination but that is not why we are ever there so I am always a bit annoyed that it's cheaper to stay in hotels in large cities that have more amenities. I really like that this hotel is not right close to the casino like others. Any time we have stayed at the hotels close to the casino, the casino parking lot is loud at night and there are often fights so it's scary walking from your car to the entrance of the hotel. The Best Western doesn't have the same issue.
Stay at the BW Marquis Inn while in area for business. Friendly staff, clean well appointed room, good location. Excellent Service. Young lady at reception even ran outside to catch me before I drove away as when I checked out as I left my coffee travel mug behind on the counter when I left. Will definitely stay here for future trips to PA.
Enjoyed my stay at the Best Western in Prince Albert. The rooms were comfortable, great beds! I was welcomed with gift bags for myself and the dogs. I will return. I had the Jr. Suite and it was a perfect size for myself and the dogs The flat screen TV was excellent, and they had HD. It was quiet and pleasant.
It was good, except for the noise from the lobby. My room was right by the stairway. If hotels didn't have rooms close to busy traffic areas, I'm sure everyone would enjoy their stays in hotels. just ask for a room away from traffic areas.
Staff are very helpful. Large room, nice seating area. High speed internet. Very comfortable bed. Great Breakfast (which is included). Pet friendly - I was traveling with two small dogs and they were welcome. Hotel is in a good location. Easy access from highway.
I only book at this hotel when i travel into Prince Albert, Sask. Our stay here has always been pleasant, rooms are clean, and serve a full breakfast which is great and the front desk staff are very helpfull and courteous.
This hotel provides good value and comfortable and clean rooms. The restaurant food is average, but very convenient, and offers a free hot breakfast. I found all of the staff to be helpful and pleasant. The location is convenient, and I had no trouble finding parking.
Awesome service and comfortable stay, peaceful surroundings, ample parking overall an extremely satisfying stay. The morning fresh Breakfast in the restaurant is the deal clincher. Great attitude of a polite staff. Probably the best hotel in PA.
This hotel has great staff, and is very clean. The continental breakfast is the best I've had! The beds are not very comfortable. The rooms are quite spacious, and the decor is beautiful. The hotel staff are helpful and courteous.
Great bed for me; really comfortable. Roomed seemed quieter than most hotels I've stayed in. Breakfast options were good. Staff kindly accommodated our need to take one breakfast "to go". Would recommend to others.
Our stay at Marquis inn and suites was a memorable one even though it was just one night . Staff are so very friendly. Room exceeded our expectations. Clean , comfortable and spacious. Recommend highly.
The hotel was nice and clean but was very dissatisfaction of the food service and cold food staff not showing up on time to have breakfast ready for 6 am very poor service. Rooms and lobby clean. Good location other people had vehicle broken into in parking lot.
Compared to other hotels I have stayed at in Prince Albert, this was the cleanest rooms and friendliest staff I have encountered. Check in and check out was fast and efficient. Check in staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. We stayed in the double room and it is tight for 4 people but that is all they had available for that busy weekend. We were on the first floor and had no problem with noise. I would stay here again.
This hotel was a bit older but in good repair and probably renovated not too long ago. Staff was great. Room with 2 double beds was a bit on the small side but very clean and well furnished and all working ammenities.
my experience was good, the location was all right,i mean everything was as bleast as it could be,the staff and all whom work here are the bomb,I mean everyone is as lovely as they can be,the amenities were good,I mean perfect
Servers April and Andi let us have breakfast even tho it was late to use our free breakfast voucher which we didn't know which could only be use at 9am they were both very friendly and very welcoming and the breakfast was delicious
we had an amazing stay not too long ago at this best western hotel branch, specially with excellent services from the staff overall, Harshil helped us nicely with our computer and tv connectivity problem too, and he delt with it nicely and professionally, katherine was charming at checkout time, i am pleased with his and her services and would surely recommend this hotel to everyone, infect recently my friends did visit and stay there too as i told them , and I am mentioning here, they are also happy with the services too, considering that they have amazing staff, clean environment , free hot breakfast , which is amazing.
Great hotel, recently renovated, full hot breakfast and a gift bag. Great free wifi, a fitness center and it's pet friendly. It is also located close to the Casino and the hockey arena in Prince Albert
I've stayed at this hotel at least 6 times in the last 2+ years and wouldn't stay anywhere else in Prince Albert. The staff are consistently kind and professional; the room and lobby are alway clean and well presented; and I feel safe and comfortable at this hotel.
I'm a best western regular (for work) and this is definitely the best best western branch ive been to. Mostly because of the real breakfast u get in the morning but also great rooms. Thanks for the welcome gift everytime too.
Booked in on 10 Oct 2016 checked out 11 Nov 2016 I sent an email to the general manager with concerns a week before checking out He has not responded. This speaks volumes about customer concerns. Only 3 staff were able to give great service, the rest of the staff failed to impress to the point of utter failure. I constantly had to ask for my room to be cleaned and then when they did the bedding was not changed out for 6 days this is just one of the many issues that i indicated in my email. The three staff who were above and beyond worked in the cafe, kudos to Dayna, Darian, and Andi They made a very dismal stay bearable with their up beat attitude, friendly and enjoyable personalities If I was booking rooms for our project we wouldn't be at this facility. As it is we are back here again for 4 days lets see what happens with this stay.
Excellent service, there was a mix up with rooms but dealt with very courteous and professional. Employees were very helpful with everything from meals to linen. Front desk employees made sure everything was handled and got a discount for mix-up. Not the hotel fault but reservations.
Stayed here one night after a concert. Room was nice and clean. Huge bathroom and a nice quiet night with no kids running up and down hallways. Enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. Was nice to fill out selections on menu and hand in to waitress. Breakfast was nice and fresh.
My wife and I visited the restaurant at the Marquis Inn for lunch on Oct 26th. Initial service was slow and when our waiter came to the table there was a language problem. We asked about their lunch special and he seemed unable to communicate what it was. From the menu we both picked their "Classic Burger" and ordered them. When our meals arrived neither one was correct, he brought us some kind of a chicken sandwich or something. We sent them back and the manager came along to explain that it would be about five or six minutes before our burgers would be ready but they would bring the fries off our plate for us to eat in the meantime. Our then cold fries arrived and a bit later our burgers. The burgers themselves were very plain and dry. The tables were crowded close together and noisy. All in all a very poor dining experience. We will not be back.
We stayed at the hotel for one night, as we were traveling for business and we were impressed with the service. The staff (Raj & Katherine) were very helpful from the beginning of our arrival, trying to find a room and ensuring we were promptly checked in. To further add to the experience was the staff's attention to detail: I was trying to pour myself coffee from the lobby coffee station, but there was none left, and upon observing this, the general manager - who happenned to be around at the time, took my cups, asked me to wait, and brought me freshly brewed coffee. It is commendable that people still pay attention to the details and to ensuring customer satisfaction is at its highest. Don't be surprised when you see that at check-in you are provided with an order form for breakfast: this is the manner in which the hotel ensures that the food is fresh and great tasting. It's typical breakfast food, but the staff's (we dealt with April and Darien) attention to detail and service, was again outstanding. Overall, I'd say this was an extraordinary stay, and the hotel definitely surpassed expectations in view of the number of stars it is attributed. One aspect I would try to change is to evaluate if the internet connection can respond to a very high volume of connecting users - I experienced some issues with this, but nothing major. Thanks for a great stay to the entire staff!
Overall an excellent stay. Bed was very comfortable The food was very good and the choices for breakfast was better than other hotels. The room was very clean. The only thing we didn't like was the choice of TV channels. They didn't have any local channels.
Everyone was super friendly both at the front desk and in the dining room. Service was excellent. Room was a King room on main floor, nice large, clean, comfortable room. Beds were comfy. The only downside were the super hard pillows--which we found upon checking out that had we called the front desk and asked for better pillows, there were better ones available!!! To have a dining room right at the hotel was perfect and to have an actual complimentary full breakfast (of one's choice) served was awesome. The location was very convenient, basically next door to the Art Hauser Centre where we were attending a concert, and right off the highway that brought us into the city. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again if ever in the city.
Working in the area and being a regular Best Western patron, I used my Hotels.com membership to book this hotel. Was not disappointed. Great room, very clean and rates are reasonable for the area. But the Best was the complimentary Full Breakfast that I never see anywhere else. Only disappointment is the tiny tube of Shampoo/Conditioner that was fine for me but had my wife joined my on this trip that small tube would not suffice for her or any woman with shoulder length hair. Will continue to support the Best Western chain.
Stayed in a King Suite on the main floor - very quiet, very clean, and a very comfortable room. Service at the Front Desk, the Restaurant, and Housekeeping was excellent Will stay here the next time I am in Prince Albert
I came and stayed in this hotel for a night and happened to be heavy pregnant at the time. The front desk staff was extremely courteous and gave us a room on the main floor closest to the lobby. I worried that it would be very loud but I never heard a thing and appreciated the easy access to the exits. The breakfast was excellent and I loved the bag of snacks given to us at check-in! We usually stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Prince Albert but this hotel was better when you consider that we got a cooked to order breakfast included with our reservation, and it was $50 cheaper. I will stay here again.
The staff was friendly and helpful. Upon arrival we were greeted by an enthusiastic employee and checked in with no issues and we were even given a Complimentary snack bag that included a granola bar, bag of chips and juice box, nothing fancy but definitely a nice gesture! The room was nice and clean. We found the bed to be comfortable and the pillows were decent. Overall a great stay for an affordable price!
The staff made every effort to make our stay perfect. Due to poor highway conditions, we decided to spend the night in Prince Albert. My daughters were very impressed with my choice of The Best Western. The room rate was awesome and we even received a hot complimentary breakfast!
We didn't have a reservation when we show up to the hotel. The front desk Staff where very helpful with checking us in and finding us a room. The room was very spacious and clean. Any concerns we had were taken care of promptly by the staff. The sit down breakfast was a nice touch. I would just recommend having a couple of water bottles in the rooms. We would definitely stay here again!
Stayed here many times and would recommend it to any one that I know.the location is great and the rooms are super clean. The hotel is only minutes away from the casino so go play and win your fortune.
We arrived to the hotel at midnight on a bus with a hockey team last Friday to find one front deck person working when we told them that there would be a bus load checking in with kids. Finally get to my room to our room and I open the door and room stinks of smoke. It's now 12:30 and my son is so tired that he jumps into bed I go back down to the deck and still many of our players are still checking in and I hear the hotel is full as some of the team is checking to see if any double rooms have opened up as they have been put in a king room. So I turn around and go back to my room 212 and decide to just suck it up and go to bed. As I'm finally in bed I look up and see that there is a shower cap over my smoke detector( which I took a picture of) My guess is that its probably from the previous guests so they could smoke in my non smoking room. Next morning I tell the front deck and he said that we could remove it for you. I said I'm checking out so it doesn't help me. I explain to him that this could be a problem as if there was a fire in my room it would take awhile for it to go off. He did offer me 10%off my NEXT stay. I said don't worry I won't be staying here again and will let all our hockey community know not to stay there. Sorry bestwestern you had a chance to make it right and you failed so for that I have to rate you as a horrible hotel.
We always stay here when in Prince Albert. Never had a problem during any of our stays here. Very comfortable bed...we were greeted with a smile by all the staff, and received a welcome snack bag. Also, the free hot breakfast at the regular restaurant is a nice touch.
Stayed for a week while awaiting birth of first grandchild. First and foremost the staff, without exception, were polite , engaging and helpful. The facilities were clean and well maintained. A problem with noisy guests was handled quickly and with an apology form the hotel Manager although the hotel wasn't the problem. The included breakfast with table service was great and the wait staff friendly and efficient. Special thanks to Dana! We would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a well priced, clean, and well staffed place to stay in Prince Albert.
This was the first time I've been to Prince Albert and wasn't sure where to stay. I've always had a good experience with the Best Western but this was a great experience. Upon being greeted with a smile, I receive a welcome bag with a few goodies. In my room was a welcome note from the cleaner.. In the morning I woke up and was pleased the continental breakfast was a full breakfast that I got to order off a special menu from.. Thank you for making my stay enjoyable. It's really the little things.
The stay at the Marquis Inn was surprisingly excellent. Pricing was very good. I would not hesitate to stay there again. Service in the restaurant was very good as well. The breakfast was more than a continental and you had many options to choose from. Beds were comfortable, hotel was quiet and very clean. Nice note left on the bed by the housekeeper each day.
First time staying here and it was a great experience! Check in was fast, room was nice and clean. Beds were comfy. Hotel was quiet and had a great sleep! Breakfast was awesome and we had a great waitress! If we ever go back to PA will definitely be staying here again!
Everyone was so helpful from the moment we arrived. Katharine checked us in, in a genuinely friendly and efficient manner. Audrey, the front desk manager, helped my wife get the luggage cart to our room while I parked our car. Even though it is only two stories, there is an elevator. There was a slight problem with our room initially, but Laurice went above and beyond to make it right, right away. Thank you Laurice! We had the queen suite which was very comfortable for our three night stay, separate bedroom, living room with sofa and chair, plus a massage chair! Mini fridge, microwave, counter with sink, and a dining table. Breakfast exceeded our expectations. Custom cooked, in the Terrace Cafe, then served by two very charming and expert servers, Dayna and Keifer (Lucas), it was a wonderful way to start our day. We also had dinner one evening at the Terrace Cafe, my wife ordered the salmon which was cooked perfectly, moist and delicious. My steak was cooked exactly how I ordered it. Jonathen, our server, was also very efficient and amiable. We enjoyed meeting and chatting with the staff so much, we were almost sorry we had to leave!
I've stayed here before and I intended to come back! When I'm in town Best Western is my place away from home. I just feel comfortable when I am there. The place is clean and the people working are really very nice. The only think I would recommend is a Swimming Pool!
The room was great, the price was great, the complimentary breakfast was hot and 'served' which was a surprise. An excellent experience was soured at check-out however. Provincial government doesnt pay GST and not only did the clerk not know how to process this transaction, he insinuated in a passive aggressive type way that it was my fault for not advising when I checked in. I don't know, but I wasn't paying when I checked in so it didn't seem obvious for me to do that then. Now I sit in my car for 15 minutes waiting for someone who knows how to remove the GST from the bill - ugggh.
Well this must be one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in. Absolutely excellent in quality-outstanding decor. Staff were friendly and certainly no problems encountered at all. would definitely stay there again.
My mom and I were in town for a wedding. The hotel is very nicely decorated! The staff and the breakfast was more than I expected. The front door man Johnathan M I believe and his name did an awesome job! He was so helpful and friendly! I would stay here again for sure! Too bad there isn't a pool or hot tub, but the front desk will give you a pass for the pool that's only a short drive away.
I stayed here for 3 nights. It was nice and quiet. Breakfast was included with stay with a nice variety to choose from. The room was very clean and beds were comfy. The fitness room was good, just with there was a pool or hot tub. But overall great place to stay with a great price.
We enjoyed having our room upgraded when we arrived early. The staff were courteous and provided us with excellent service. The breakfast choices were great. We would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Prince Albert SK.
I really enjoyed my stay at Best western. I found it so comfortable and the people working are so friendly. From opening the doors and helping with my luggage straight to my room. The atmosphere was all around a positive experience. The best western as alot to offer from a wonderful hot breakfast, a nice clean place to work out and even a loung to unwind and hit up a game of pool! Yup I can surely say I Enjoyed my stay.
Great service at The Best Western Seven Oaks in Regina. Every time I book into this facility I am met by Friendly staff and a good restaurant. Most impressive is the policy on allowing service dogs in the facility. A big Bravo Zulu to the company.
Very comfortable stay and friendly staff. I have to mention that as soon as we walked in till the time we checked out Jonathan R. was there for not only us, but for everyone. He was all over the place, not just greeting customers, but also help with their luggage, assisting in the checkout line, helping decide the menu. The room were descent and value for money. Though the shower was leaking and bath tub jammed a little in our room. And you can hear people walking down the corridor in your room, so it has to be true vise versa.
I am very happy with the new staffing and the hospitality the hotel has to offer. great place to stay and enjoy your vacation and shopping needs. The housekeepers work hard to satisfy the guests. The Restaurant has great meals. I recommend you check out the best hotel in town.
The hotel was excellent clean comfortable a nice continental breakfast staff went above and beyond ill be back thanks we arrived at 10 pm the staff knew our names got us mor towels so late at night the beds were great
To be treated with respect and warmth was a pleasant surprise - be asked to come back again - you may want to advertise the restaurant being there as surrounding competitors are not as suitable menu as yours
Front desk staff - Kathryn was great. Deluxe Suite - Spacious & nice. Restaurant-very convenient and good selection - great service. Johnathen(Bellman/Server) & April (Server) - super attentive & fun.
We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The rates were competitive with other hotels in the area. Our travel companion was using a walker and a lower level room was quickly arranged. The rooms were clean and the beds very comfortable. Breakfast was fabulous and served by the nicest people. The only down side was that the restaurant was badly understaffed for supper. The waiter on duty did his best but had to be overwhelmed trying to keep up. One person in our group did not receive his meal until far after the rest of us were finished eating. The quality of our supper meal was not as good as it could have been but breakfast made up for it. We will stay again.
Stayed at the best western for a Nice relaxing weekend and got exactly that! The staff were very helpful and Kind. The room was beautiful. The food was delish, and You can also never Go wrong with a FREE breakfeast! I would and will recommend this Hotel. Definitely coming back again.
Nice hotel. Will stay there again. The food is good and the staff are nice. Not much room for parking. But very nice place to stay. The price was right as I went through hot wire and got it for $82.00 CDN.
We were visiting a very sick relative in PA. Googled and found this hotel. We were very satisfied. Very much liked the restaurant style breakfast. Would definitely stay again .Staff were very friendly and helpful. We were greeted with a nice snack package.
Would definitely stay again, the location was perfect and close to the public swimming pool, casino and movie theatre. The staff was very pleasant and the complimentary breakfast was a full breakfast instead of just continental, though they did have continental option too.
Very nice place to stay with a decent hot breakfast. I would have liked a Breakfast Buffet better but it was better than your average Continental Breakfast. Make sure to ask at the beginning for a Stay and Play card if you're going to the Casino...we weren't asked until check out time.
We stayed here 1 night last weekend while travelling through. The room was pretty clean, the carpet seemed new, I think the room itself was updated. Only downside is the breakfast started after we checked out on a Sunday so in the end the free breakfast which was one of the reasons I booked turned out to be a fail. I'd probably stay here again when staying in the area.
I stayed here a total of 13 days. 2 or 3 of those days the staff didn't visit my room to make the bed or change out the towels. I was charged a total of 285 dollars for stained towels, gold blankets (which I didn't use) and on the sheets. The coffee stain on the sheets is my bad. I stay in alot of hotels and nothing changed in my behavior or cleanliness this time. The 285 dollars in "damages" are bogus charges and irreversible. My key card also worked only half the time so I had to continuously get a new one. The staff were kind though. And the breakfast was good and fast. I'd give this hotel a poor rating on the housekeeping side of things. Apparently I better bring my own pillow and sheets to avoid bogus charges. I dont like to complain but am pretty taken aback at what they decided to charge as damages. Won't be staying here in Prince Albert again.
No hot water due to failure of hotel's hot water system. Management was very apologetic and we were given the room at no cost due to the inconvenience - I expected my bill to be discounted but never thought that our stay would be discounted 100%. We've stayed at this hotel several times and have always been completely satisfied with the room and amenities. Will definitely stay there again.
The room was big and modern. Beautiful washroom. Bed was very comfortable. Air conditioner worked great. From the front desk to the restaraunt, all the employees were very friendly and helpful. The free breakfast with our package was a real breakfast (i e. not just toast & coffee, etc). Highly recommend!!
Room décor is dated and room was well equipped upon arrival but not restocked after the first night...not really well cleaned.Breakfast was good but service was very slow and the staff were trying their hardest but there was not enough of them therefore very slow.Good location for our needs but it was a bit tired looking!
Cheerful and friendly staff in hotel and restaurant. Convenient location close to the casino and is only five minutes from downtown.Great breakfast included. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting this fine city.
Great place to stay, very friendly staff. Rooms were clean and bright, modern and comfortable. Pet-friendly hotel which was a bonus for us. Hotel was in close proximity to amenities but didn't affect the sleep quality. Definitely going back here!
Me and my friend stayed at Best Western this month, for a vacation. Its really a memorably experienced for me and my friend. The staff here are so cool and very nice. They are really friendly whereas they even greet guest when they have a chance while they are in the hallway. The room is clean and professionally prepared with pride and even The food is deliciously awesome. My overall experienced here impressed me so much. I will definitely go back to this hotel. Thanks Bestern Western for the experience.
We have stayed at this Best Western before. Last April was our first stay at this BW location. We could not in let another stay go by by taking the time to mention how pleased we are with the front desk, the cleanliness of the common areas, warm yet professional staff and our very nice Jr. Suite. Don't hesitate to book your stay here. Breakfast is nice and was part of our room rate. Audrey should be noted as being accommodating, yet a professional front desk employee.....she was exceptional.
Had trouble checking in as Booking.com did not send confirmation nor the money I paid them. Hotel Took my credit card information so we can at least get settled. Confirmed next morning that they "finally" got a hold of them and everything was OK. No charges expected. Breakfast was good - however our TV stations were very limited to only 3. Beds were comfortable. Great place to stay if you are going to an event at the Art Hauser Centre.
Stayed 1 night on my way through too Thompson MB. Room was clean and at a fair price. I mistakenly booked the wrong room and the staff was more than accommodating to fix it for me when I arrived. I had to drive through town to get there but worth it. The free breakfast is awesome as well! I will stay here again!!
I travel around Canada a lot for work and have seen my share of bad hotels or bad staff but this specific best western hotel was a great experience. Staff was super nice and friendly, room was really great (King suite) for a great price too. And the breakfast was great. Better than breakfasts anywhere else in SK at least. Thank you BW. I definitely recommend staying here.
We stay here when going to P.A. and always find the hotel clean and meets our needs. We will be back again, breakfast is always cooked to our liking. The location of hotel is close to all our functions, and we are also close to shopping and restaurants. Parks and lakes are an hour away!
Stayed here with my wife and daughter. They give free meal vouchers but don't tell you they have to be used by 9am or they expire. Called the front desk , took forever to answer. Asked for a late check-out. Then like 5 mins after 11 get a call from front desk asking when I'm checking out. Just poor communication. Room was dirty. Stains on beds. Food from resteraunt was alright. All around standards were really low. Probably won't stay again. As I have higher standards. Maybe will work for people who don't care as much about standards.
My wife and I arrived late to our hotel (11:20pm) after a long drive from south Saskatchewan , we were eager to check into our room and hit the hay. As we were going to get up early the next morning and continue our trip. We were warmly greeted by the staff at the front desk and given complimentary snack bag for us to enjoy. However we soon found out that we had made a big mistake and made our booking for the next day. We had booked a king bed through Expedia, and were informed that there were no king beds for our night. However Audrey at the front desk, was extremely helpful and went out of her way to ensure that our error was fixed. We had a great room , very modern decor and best of all a great big king bed!. Thanks a lot Audrey and the Best Western staff.
First time came to Bestwestern marquis Inn, great experience staying in this hotel. Awesome breakfast, friendly staff and comfortable room. Additional: the surprise gift bag filled with juice, chips and fruit&nut bars made my son happy all night!
Place is nice but I called the front desk 3 times about the noise from the hall and room next door. I love hear drunks all night long. I know quiet time is 11. Personally I'll let it slide til 1 am but 4 am. Security needs to do their job. I see PA has Airbnb next time I will stay Ina guest home. Tried of drunk people parting til 4 am.
I was very happy with my Best Western experience, you can see that they care for their Hotel as you can see all the renovations that have been made to help with a bright and cheerful attraction for the clients. I will most definitely stay at Best Westerns in the future. Keep up the great work. Thank you
I pulled in at around 8 pm from a 4 hours drive. All I want it was to check in right away and get some food and rest up for another day of travel. The service that I got from the front desk was phenomenal as they were talking to my like they really care which was nice. The room it's self was great and the bed was my favourite part of the room because its so soft, I slept like a baby. Also the free complimentary breakfast was spectacular.
Stayed at this hotel anight before our business meeting, really enjoyed my stay, great experience staying at this hotel, they provided awesome breakfast, very nice facility to stay, clean and friendly stuff
we stayed here on the weekend because of convenience and because we needed somewhere that was close access to family and I think I will always come here whenever we have plans with our fam because of how stress-free and relaxing our trip was, we rented a King Mini Suite and the bed.. I cant even begin to tell you how comfortable it was! The room itself was charming and free fresh breakfast was a major bonus as well as it was delicious and satisfying.
Stayed at a best western couple of time and my experience was overall amazing. I would definitely come back here again and stay at more Best Westerns in the future. I really enjoyed the breakfast that hey provide its a hit fresh breakfast which is great because when I'm on the road I preferred a nice cooked breakfast! 10/10.
The staff at this hotel are pleasant and accommodating. The room and breakfast not quite. On the first glance of the room it has been kept up to date even though this hotel is about 30 years old. That impression left me quickly when I sat down on the desk chair and when I leaned back it did not stop, my head nearly hit the ground the chair was broken!! The staff were quick to bring us another one. Good Work!! It seemed hot in the room even thought the outside temp was about 17 ° I went to set the thermostat and it was already set to COOL and 47° , I didn't know they went that low. The fan was on but no cold. We had to open the window to get coolness. In the morning the shower sprayed all over the place as the head was partially plugged as was the drain as part way though the shower I noticed the water getting deeper and deeper YUK standing in used shower water. The next experience was breakfast. The hotels with breakfast I normally stay at have a buffet. You can have a bit of this and that. Not here they have 3 choices only A, B or C. If you want a waffle you cannot have a yogurt if you want a coffee you cannot have a juice or glass of milk unless you pay the $3.00 per item charge. If appears they want to advertise a breakfast to be able to compete with other hotels for the same room rate but the sole idea is to get the breakfast people to pay for a service included at other places. If management used a bit of common sense in this area.the patrons might actually enjoy the experience. Juice milk coffee yogurt fruit included with all breakfast items!!! Seems reasonable to me unless you are greedy. Other than that the hotel seems to function OK. They did let pets run around though, I saw a dog. Oh well at least it was not a skunk. I had never stayed at this hotel before in the 30 years I have been coming here so I have no comparison then to now. It is a little off the beaten path but close to the Carlton high school and sports complex.
Overall the staff are great. The breakfast was disappointing. Not enough staff to service amount of people for breakfast. We waited about an hour to have our breakfast. We were running late for our scheduled appointment. Choices on the breakfast menu are very select ex. 1 bowl of cereal or bagel and cream cheese or fruit and yogurt. You could not have say bagel and cream cheese with a yogurt. We ordered a juice with our breakfast along with a coffee and had to pay almost $6.00 for two coffees. I would opt to stay somewhere that has a continental breakfast included.
I stayed here for business and it was my first time at a Best Western because usually when I'm traveling stay at Marriotts and Hilton I didn't expect much of the hotel but i was surprised at the amazing service I received from the front desk staff to the restaurant and housekeeping . The rooms also were very nice the beds were comfortable to sleep in and the quiet level was to a minimum
Pros - desk staff - full restaurant on-site - free breakfast - large exercise room - upgrades for Platinum Cons - dark, 80's style décor - 2 of their young waiters very unprofessional (there is a mature waitress who is excellent) - slippery gym floor - fairly small and dark parking lot
After a 12 hour day they didn`t have the 2 rooms I had booked. I had a confirmation number, which they said they could see, but that there were no rooms available as the Indiginous Games were in town. There were no rooms anywhere within 30 kms of Prince Albert. We had to drive to Saskatoon(1-1/2 hrs away) and book rooms at another hotel. They wouldn't even cover the cost of the rooms. I was offered a $120.00 Best Western Card for stay in the future which I reluctantly took. Now, I went to use the card at another Best Western and there is nothing on it!!! Screwed again. Then after a bunch of phone calls they won't honor it and accuse me of making the whole thing up. They have no proof that they issued me the card as there is no record! Of couse there is no record, they didn't load it with the money!!! I won't be staying at a Best Western again!!!
I am staying at the hotel for 13 nights. They have done everything possible to ensure my stay has been wonderful. All of the workers are delightful. There is a bellman/waiter who goes out of his way to ensure you are taken care of and always gives you service with a smile. I will definitely be booking at this hotel again :)
I always have great stays with this hotel but my recent one in particular was even more amazing than usual. The staff to me felt so much more energetic with even better service, The gym was very refreshing to have as i dont like to skip my days. The breakfast in the morning was spectacular as it is always is it never fails to be always fresh
Stayed here to visit family, Never really stay at best westerns often but anytime I come back to Prince Albert I will always stay here because the service is incredible all the staff go above and beyond and I really appreciate the hard work that made my stay worth while.
Staff in the restaurant are awesome and so attending to our need even it was so busy those days. They never show a face of arrogance or annoyance. They are so professional. Next time I will just call hotel first before booking online with travel agencies so I can avail promotion for I did not get the $25 dollar even staying for two nights
During my stay I felt very at home! Very friendly staff at the front, housekeeping ladies were always greeting with smiles, staff in café had quick service. No problems, will stay the next time I travel to Prince Albert!
We arrived in P.A. to attend our son's graduation. A last minute change in the guest list necessitated an additional room. We were able to provide a room for our guest, at a reasonable rate. It made us feel valued!
We were both surprised and pleased with the overall cleanliness and decor of this hotel. The rooms were attractive and furnishings looked new. The staff were both friendly and efficient. It was a great experience.
The suite was clean, spacious and very comfortable. massage bed was great. hotel staff was very customer-oriented. Complimentary full breakfast was great. Hotel is a bit old - would be great if the hallways, lobby and rooms are updated. Hotel may not look new but my overall experience was positive.
I stayed in 226 and the room was fantastic. Breakfast at the restaurant was also good. Definitely staying here when I am back to PA. Reception staff Shaik was friendly and very accommodating upon checkin . They have a lounge too within the hotel.
I'll amend my review. The front desk was most accommodating in moving rooms to one without a pass-through door. I would not recommend this place if you're room has a pass through door. I would likely stay again.
The beds are super comfortable, the rooms were set up very nicely. I was quite impressed with the quality. the staff is really friendly and worked hard to accomadate my needs. Very professional, And the free breakfast is quite good. I dont think i would stay anywhere else in PA.
This is our second time here in a little over a year. Still the best place in PA for the money. There is an excellent fresh made to order breakfast with your room that keeps me coming back. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The hotel keeps trying to make things modern and has not given up putting money in like some places. We will stay here again for sure.
This hotel was the most poorly managed hotel I've ever stayed at. As a touring professional we book very large groups in a new hotel every week for 6 months of the year. This was hands down the lowest quality hotel I've ever stayed at. Mold in rooms, no hot water on certain nights, paiting throughout the stay with strong fumes in room, no clean towels, cheesy massage beds that were broken and very uncomfotable, rude and unattentive manager and staff.
First time staying at this location. The hotel was clean, breakfast was good. No complaints, just an all around great place to stay. Will recommend it to friends. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.
The room was fine until the morning when I went to have a shower. There were two dirty towels hanging on the back of the bathroom door, and mold around the tub. We have stayed here for the past 8 yrs. as we come to P.A. once a year foe a bowling tournament. For a change the check in and out were very easy this year, I really appreciated this part. Last year they wanted a $200.00 deposit.
I used trip advisor to book the room. I was redirected to booking.com and it was roughly 30 dollars cheaper than paying at the front desk. I received a confirmation email a few minutes later. The desk clerk didn't receive the reservation in his computer. I waited patiently for about 15 minutes. Still nothing coming through best westerns computer. I had a confirmation number in my email but it didn't work in his system. I phoned booking.com and after 10 minutes on hold my phone call was disconnected. The desk clerk eventually allowed me to take a room. After all I had offered my visa and identification. I'm not sure who is at fault. The system didn't recognize my booking even by the next morning. I was lucky to eventually get to a room. The room itself was decent. The shower was difficult to maintain temperature it would get very hot, then warm, then hot, and hotter I'd have to turn it down several times. Then it would get cool. Bed was very comfortable. Wi fi worked great.
Pros: - great restaurant staff - quick checkin - free breakfast in restaurant - upgraded to king mini-suite - great front desk staff Cons: - exercise room out of service without letting me know at check-in - tub tap needed repair - loud music played late
The room was very nice and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable. However the tone of the woman at the check in was rude and made me feel like any questions I had were an inconvenience & that I was bothering her. The quality of the food in the restaurant was very average. The hotel was noisy at night.
Stayed here 13 nights for business. I must say that the hotel staff made this visit a good one. Front desk staff is very friendly, maids always say hello with a smile.. And they do a good job keeping the room clean. The biggest downfall to this hotel is the very poor WiFi .. I couldn't log in at all during the entire stay. All of my co workers said the same thing. When a hotel goes the cheap route on wifi it's absolutely the biggest mistake ever. People that are in town for business need proper wifi. It shows as logged in but is non existent. The hotel is going through renos .. So I hope they listen to this advice. If it wasn't for the great staff, I would have given this hotel a 2 star due to no wifi.
I stayed at the Marquis Inn & Suites in March 2016 and was very satisfied with it. A year ago I stayed in a different hotel which was not well kept and not very clean. This is an older hotel but has been renovated and is well-kept. The rooms are spacious and clean.
arrived at 4pm and could not check in because rooms were not cleaned. told to come back later. Came back at 5:15pm and still could not check inn because rooms were not cleaned. They decided that maybe they should clean a room, so was told to come back later. Came back 9:45. They had a room for me, but some one else was trying to check in and was having similar troubles. Room was nice and clean. Breakfast was good but, service was almost NIL. Will not be back
Everything was great, we were checked into the hotel promptly and had no issues with anything. We would stay again. Breakfast was complimentary and they cooked eggs just the way I asked. The bellman cheerfully greeted us at the front entrance and asked if we needed any assistance with our luggage which was very helpful.
Had a lovely stay here this week with my dad and friends. Desk staff was very helpful and restaurant crew Jane was so polite and very accommodating. She gave us the menu and also asking if still we had our free breakfast coupon, she worried about it coz she said it's free. So i was ask the front desk staff and yeaaa we still got our breakfast for free :) We ate fresh cooked eggs, hasbrown bacon with toast and very good coffee yesterday morning which was very nice! excellent job for her kindness. We left a tip 10$ for her. We had room 207 and 211 it was modern and very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Would totally stay here again! Lenore K. Gladys Joseph
I enjoyed my stay with this hotel. they are presently upgrading the rooms throughout the hotel. very attentive staff and friendly. food was very good and attached bar was enjoyable as well. I will definately stay here again when in town on business.
I was dining as this establishment and my server shanuck(I was later informed he is a supervisor) was extremely rude and ignored my table for several minutes. When I asked a lovely young waitress for a refill on my soft drink. He scolded her because it "wasn't her table". I felt extremely bad that anyone should have the burden of dealing with him. Rather than accept help he chose to scold his staff for providing the service I expect at a restaurant.
Hotel room i stayed in was quiet and clean. Staff were very helpful and always asked if i had a comfortable stay, I also noticed that they actually write down any concerns if there are any. Sharon and the restaurant staff are very friendly and provide excellent customer service.
When I pulled up to this property after my long drive from Edmonton I admit I was a bit dismayed. (However I was told that the exterior renovation is coming soon) The lobby changed my mind as they have clearly done some work on the inside. Samantha and Julie(a) at the front desk were great as well. Even if I was teased with an upgrade that didn't pan out. My room was really nice and quite big. One thing I prefer about renovated older hotels compared to new builds is the size of the bathrooms. This one had a great sized bathroom. My bed was super comfy and the TV was huge. I had no trouble with the wifi and parking was free too. They let the ball drop a bit on breakfast, it's partially included but not enough to satisfy you. Stop in, eat what you can and use that as a breakfast appetizer to get you on to your breakfast restaurant. I would stay here again.
I was at the terrace cafe restaurant last week. The service is very good. There is a gentlemen by name Shawnak he is very good in his work and had lot of knowing about his profession. He was very polite took care of us. The food is good and worth coming back.
the staff at this hotel are friendly and go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. the room was very clean and the breakfast was very nice. the bell man was very polite and was a very nice added touch thanks for the hospitality. we will be back
This is an older hotel that is long over due for the reno that is happening. My room featured mold along the edge of the bath tub. In the shower this morning the hot water faucet handle came off and rolled around the bottom of the tub. Classy. The staff on the other hand is quite friendly, although quite young and inexperienced.
We had another good stay as the staff were all very friendly and helpfull. The Continental breakfast has several hot and cold items to choose from and is served in the resturant by friendly staff. The Hotel is located in a quiet area of the city.
Great service with a smile and she's very nice, attentive and helpful crew. Even if we had a complain about our free breakfast to serve in our room the other day we still got a promo for our food. And that girl at the resto gives us a excellent and fast service, i actually want her give a tip but on that day i don't have cash.. I hope she still keep up the good work, and give a nice service to other guest.
We were greeted with a door bell man and easy check in. Rooms were clean and accommodating for a family of four. A complementary breakfast included in the price of the room was above expectations with fresh cooked eggs, sausages, hashbrowns and toast. Also table service with hot coffee was lovely.
Stayed here for hockey at the end of january. Hotel is going through some renovations.... but that didn't change anything. Brecky was good except the portion is so small with little choices and the menu didn't have any options for groups on a budget. Tthe hotel has some great service tho. Front desk helped with our keycards more than anything. Did not make us feel like we were bothering them.
I stayed her Friday January 22nd, while in Prince Albert for business. I booked it because it was a Best Western, the rate was good, and they do business with me. I was pleasantly surprised all around! I had Room 225 with a King Size bed. Because of the large bed, and a smaller than normal room, the room seemed quite small, but this wasn't a problem. The heat worked very well while I had it on, but I turned it off when I went to bed, and the room stayed comfy all night. The bed was super comfortable! Nice firm bed with a soft top with a nice warm comforter on top. I always travel with my own contour pillow, so I can't speak to the pillows, but there were four of them for a King Size bed. Bathroom was a good size, shower worked very well, the bathroom fan and light switch are separate which is nice, so there isn't air blowing while you are showering. The only thing I didn't like in the room was in the bathroom. The bathroom sink, doesn't seem to be deep enough, so if you turn on the sink water full blast, the water bounces off the back of the sink and you have a wet stomach. Not what you want after your mid-night bathroom visit!! The décor was very interesting. Almost looked like something out of the 80's, or maybe they were going for the Retro look. The headboard, curtains, carpet were what gave me this feel. Still it was clean and comfortable! This hotel doesn't have a help yourself of various breakfast items, like a lot of other Best Westerns do, but instead, they have a free hot breakfast, which was very good!! I was very impressed with my breakfast of bacon, eggs, hash browns, and toast, and even more impressed with the young lady waiting on and serving all of the people having breakfast, with a great smile on her face! I hope that all the people who are getting a free breakfast like this, leave this charming young lady a good tip!! Will definitely be staying here on my next stayover in Prince Albert!
It is a bit out the way but worth it. Great staff excellent rooms and nice breakfast included. Better than I was expecting. I had a king bed and the flat screen tv was big to match. Very comfy bed and good heating in the room.
Arrived to the desk to find they had lost my reservation after several minutes the nice person at the desk was able to find me a room. When we arrived in the room it was in poor repair and not spotless. The washroom was dusty with spots on the counter, sink, toilet, and shower. The room was old with peeling wallpaper, and a strong oder of standing water. The heating unit had no thermostat so through out the night we had to get up to turn it either on or off to maintain a comfortable temperature. We were tired and it took so long to find another room in the first place we decided not to ask for a change. The breakfast was nicely done however with limited selections, the service was a bit slow but not terrible. I spoke with several other guests and toured some of the other rooms to find our room was in the OLD section and the hotel was undergoing some renovations to the rooms. Overall an average place to stay. I think our rating may have been higher had our room been new or the discount for the older room been deeper.
I have spent a lot of nights in Prince Albert for business over the past year and I only stay at the Best Western Marquis Inn & suites. In 30+ nights at this hotel I have had very few issues, it is clean and the service is good
Make sure you book the king suit, this room is very big two rooms it has two TV's and it has a big massage chair in the living room area awesome. You get a free big breakfast. the staff are very friendly .Don't stay anywhere else in the city.
Excellent quick stay. Easy and fast check in and out. Actually the nicest Best Western I have stayed in. Convenient location, and a nice breakfast in their restaurant in the morning. Great value, extremely satisfied customer.
I loved the King room as it had a separate area for the coffee machine and a stand alone unit for the fridge & microwave. There was a large table as well as 2 end tables with a bench to sit and remove your winter boots. The room was very nicely decorated and the bed was extremely comfortable. Great breakfast in the restaurant was included.
Stayed in Prince Albert while visiting family and chose to stay at the best western as we were diamond members, since it was the month of December we were surprised by a gift since we were diamond members! How sweet of them! The front desk girls were very nice to us and made us feel welcomed, the rooms were spacious and clean and the free breakfast was another delightful treat as well it was a cooked breakfast and was tasty, the waitress as I don't remember her name was very helpful and attended to our needs. Overall the service and everything else was great!
I had the best time here, everything went smoothly from check in to check out. Front desk staff were friendly , the restaurant food was tasty, really enjoyed it. The rooms were very nice, the beds were comfy. I really did enjoyed myself while I was staying here! Housekeepers were nice and always greeted guests as they walked by! Very professional.... P.s I'd recommend this hotel to everyone.... It's lovely.
I came here for a solo trip for business and didn't really expect the hotel to be as amazing as it was! Right when I came in I was greeted by a very nice bell boy who also offered me if I wanted help with my bags(loved the service). The front desk staff were very courteous and friendly and checked me in with no hassles and same with check out, the rooms were beautifully decorated and were spacious also well cleaned, overall I would rate my stay an A++ I know where I am staying when I go to Prince Albert again :)
We stayed at the Best Western Marquis Inn & Suites for 2 nights. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful right from the moment we arrived. We had booked a junior suite and it was very accommodating, clean and quiet. The bed was super comfortable. The continental breakfast was tasty. On Sunday morning, the breakfast was a bit of a wait in arriving but outside of that our stay was very pleasurable and all the staff we encountered were very helpful and friendly.
Really enjoyed it, kids loved it Really worth the stay. My family and I came to Prince Albert for a small family trip and best western was our first stop. Didn't take long to check in and settle everything, quiet and can sleep like a baby. Food is good, really clean, it's home away from home!!!
Nice and clean hotel, stuff is friendly, sleep like a baby, this is a Best Western Quality, what Im looking for all the time! I have a huge room, whit a massage chair, 2 tv, king size bat! Any time I go back to this hotel.
Went as a group and there were several reservation problems. The included breakfast worse than usual with very limited selection from a small menu. Fruit was not fresh. Fitness centre a disaster. Room only partially renovated and smelled bad, water damage. Cleaning staff incompetent. Beds were good.
- Check in was an adventure...took way too long and staff didn't seem welcoming or that they cared - Was initially given a room that had the smell of smoke and I asked the front desk whether the hotel is smoke free. I was told that it was, but they agreed that it smelled. - Was given a second room and room was dirty (don't want to get into detail for your sake), tubs and sinks clogged, etc.
Love the room decor, very comfy beds, tv channels - meh, upgraded to a suite which was sweet! lots of room for luggage and/or kids to play/draw, quiet area of the city so not much traffic noise & close to timmies lol
I stayed a few nights at this hotel and it was amazing. They make you feel like your at home and they have really great employees that work there. I'd live in this hotel if I could and I can't wait till I go back. This hotel is one of the best I be to. The room service is really fast at things you need and the furniture is exciting to look at.
Front desk asked upon arrival in front of others checking-in "are you staying here alone?" Did not appreciate being asked this as a young, solo female traveller, may have posed a safety risk. Loud beeping noise every 10-15 seconds in hallway, that continued through the night. Loud radio woke me up at around 6 am, coming from adjacent laundry room. Poor lighting in room, black hairs from previous guest in sink.
Stayed here a few times when in the area for business-related travel; the rooms are comfortable, decent-sized and relatively clean. The wi-fi reception was spotty, at best. The staff seemed to be pleasant enough and not altogether inattentive, but owing to (in my opinion) a lack of experience, I encountered unnecessary delays in checking in and departing. The highlight is unquestionably the free hot breakfast options and the relatively central location for business appointments.
I found this Hotel in the Prince Albert location quite pleasant. Since I was there on Business it was very close to where I needed to be during the work day. The only issue I had was the slowness of the 'WiFi' and the staff in the Restaurant were quite slow, other than that I would highly recommend this location.
I have never felt compelled to write a review of a hotel before. This hotel is an embarrassment to the Best Western name. There was blood and mucous splattered on the bathtub and toilet. The room was clearly not vacuumed for a month. Didn't notice the mess until the morning after I slept in the room. Got a room upgrade the next day.... to a room that still had a messed up bed and full garbages. Left my number for management, who didnt bother to call me. All staff members had no clue what they were doing. Gross. Never again.
During my recent business I was booked to stay at this location. While the place may have been a top of the line back in the 80's those days have come and gone. Both the condition of the rooms and decor show what must have been great in the hay-day. Privacy through the windows is a major issue, and trying to find enough outlets is a challenge. That said, the staff do indeed step up to the plate in trying to give the best customer service they can, even taking the time to find out I was on the night assignments, thus don't have housekeeping waking me in my sleep hours. Best Western needs to reinvest in the property to take best advantage of the calibre of staff this location still has.
Hotel was a friendly place to stay with great staff. Nishant was a huge help and made my stay even better. Everyone was happy and greeted you with a smile, as you entered or left the hotel. Are willing to help and give advice when needed.
Reservation for Oct 16/15. The room was a family suite. The washroom and hallway were exceptionally cold. We actually chose not to shower because the room was so cold. The bed was comfortable. The toilet was plugged on arrival. I called to get the toilet unplugged but no one came to fix the problem. We ended up having to use the washroom in the conference room area. On checkout, we expressed our frustration with the lack of attention to the plugged toilet and the only reponse was "Oh". When we were walking out there was an awkward late apology but certainly no effort to remedy the situation. A non functioning toilet is like not having a bed in the room. Prince Albert Best Western is not the place to be
Hotel is nice, is clean and generally they try to do what they can to help you make you happy. We have stayed here several times and usually do not have any complaints. The free breakfast is all right, considering it is free and is a hot breakfast.
Over the last 5 years I've stayed at Best Western Hotels exclusively because of the staff's professionalism and courteous customer services in doing all possible to accommodate my schedule and accommodation preferences. I would and have recommended Best Western to others and the companies I've consulted for over the past few years. Keep up the great work.
Upon arrival August 2015 the check in went very well the staff at the front desk were very friendly and polite made us feel welcome. Great free breakfast and service. Rooms very clean rooms comfortable and cleaning staff were great. Would I stay here again? Would I recommend this place to anyone? Yes hope you enjoy your stay I know we surely did. Safe travels everyone.
I have tried other hotels in Prince Albert, but once I found the Marquis Inn & Suites it is now the only hotel I use. The service is fast and friendly, the rooms are spacious and comfortable. I travel to PA almost weekly for business and the Marquis Inn and Suites is now my second home. I recommend this hotel to all visitors to Prince Albert.
The rooms have been redone and are very nice. WiFi is okay, at peak times it horrible (drops signal). Front counter staff very nice. The lady at restaurant was super nice! Breakfast was good and very fast! Large TV and big bathroom. I have stayed a week and only once I needed my room attended for towels( light cleaning). When I got back from my day away, half my towels were never replaced (old ones taken but new ones MIA) and I had no toilet paper?? The cleaning staff is VERY slow. I got a knock on my door at 5:30pm and they were still cleaning rooms till almost 6:00pm. On my first day I had to take quick look under my king bed because it would not work (reclining bed) and I found old food and dirty Q -tips from previous guests :( The price is very good, but not impressed with cleaning staff. The pic is from my window( north side). I didn't expect an ocean view, but the roadway inches from window was horribly noisy. Very busy roadway. Loud mufflers and stereos till late was getting tiresome, especially since the speed bump is located at my window so vehicles slow down at my window.
This stay at the Best Western was the worst of all my trips to PA. The first problem was over a fridge. The staff was too busy to see if a fridge "could" be available - saying they couldn't get to it for 5 1/2 hours. Another problem (of several) was when the cleaning staff threw out a steeper basket for my tea mug. When I called the front desk to complain, I was told the manager would only call me during my work hours. When I said that wasn't possible, I was told nothing would be done about my damaged to-go mug. This hotel is noisy and the restaurant is terribly slow. I won't stay here again.
