Room was clean and up to date. Breakfast looked edible. Walks are PAPER thin. 7:30 in the morning on a Sunday -listen to the laundry carts in the hallway, hear your neighbors while conversation about cutting fish trees while he's on the toilet through the wall. Learn about the marital problems of the people 7 doors down from the elevator when you are in the elevator!!!!

By far one of the nicest hotels I have stayed at. Staff is great and hotel location was perfect. We were on the fourth floor and it was very quiet. Beds are comfy and I had the best sleep. Would recommend

The staff that are at this hotel are beyond amazing and make you feel like you're right at home ten out of ten definitely. They allow pets which is an awesome bonus the breakfast is always good always hot. The rooms are always so clean. They make sure your beds and pillows are perfect and if you need anything at all they are right there to help you.

NOISE!!! All we heard all night was music in the room next to us, slamming doors and toilets in the room above us. We were in the last room they had for pets. Staff was very nice, breakfast was good. Noise levels were awful. Every hour someone was loud in the hallway.

The rooms seemed nice but my first room smelled like smoke and needed to switch rooms in the middle of the night, it was so bad.. after checking in late, exhausted. (It's a non-smoking hotel) The staff was nice & helped me find another room and toothpaste I forgot. Breakfast wasnt great, food area was also crowded but plenty of room to sit. The pool wasn't working either :( hotel needs some TLC. Would've scored lower if it wasn't for the price they gave me and the nice staff. Best Western - you need to update this one like some of those overseas hotels you advertised at breakfast!! Come on!!

A very clean and quiet place. Perfect for my needs. Plenty of nearby places to eat and visit. It's only 7 miles from Delaware and about 10 miles from Pennsylvania. Very convenient to do day trips to both states

Highly recommend this Best Western for a person traveling on 95. Room was clean and comfortable. I was so tired I didn't even use the tv. Lobby was very nice and clerk was helpful. Breakfast before heading out was hot and delicious. Would stay here again for sure,

A very nice and simple motel! When I arrived I was greeted by the front desk person who was very friendly and helpful- The next day I met the management team of Serina and Lorraine and thanked them for having me at their wonderful hotel! My room was very clean, bed was comfortable and there was a small refridgerator in my room as well as everything else I have come to expect while staying at Best Westerns! I have stayed here in the past- and enjoyed my stay than as well- Thank you Best Western Staff for an amazing 1 night stay!

Brandy at the night desk greeted me pleasantly and was friendly and very helpful. Nice after a long day driving. The room was clean and neat and I slept well. Breakfast was good. Who doesn't like the waffle makers! Coffee was plentiful and hot, the room quiet. Thumbs up.

If I could, I'd probably give this hotel 3.5 stars, but I gave it 4 in my rating. Definitely nothing near a slum hotel but not something super super luxurious, but still a lot of accommodations and a great value. The staff at the front desk were friendly. The woman at nighttime made a point to greet us in a friendly manner. Everything seemed decently clean. I didn't find anything dirty, didn't see any bugs or anything like that. Our room door was hard to close, you kind of had to force the door up on its hinges and it was loud to shut. Our tv had a decent viewing selection but was on the smaller side. We had a small hair dryer, hangers, iron and board, microwave, refrigerator, soaps in the bathroom and a shower/ tub combo. Also a coffee station. And free breakfast in the morning! Bed was comfortable. Didn't have a phenomenal view out the window or anything as their was graffiti on the dumpster below, but we just kept the curtains closed lol. There was one of those heat/air conditioning units in our room that kept out room warm. Wasn't sure what to expect as far as the pool- on one place on the website it does say the pool and hot tub are both closed but if you scroll down further, it also says the hot tub is closed but the pool is open. (They are actually currently both closed for renovations.) Like I said, it felt like a 3.5 experience only because of the pool being temporarily closed but those things have to close sometimes so I understand and once it opens back up I think it will definitely be a 4 star feeling hotel. Like I said, overall this was an accommodating hotel, friendly, decently clean, and very good value.

The staff was personable, kind and very helpful to me. The lady during the 7 pm hour on March 13th was so sweet and helpful. That's refreshing to encounter after a long day of traveling and being out of town on business. Breakfast was really good. I enjoyed my stay! Thanks so much!

They charged me $290 for a $120 room. The additional $170 will take me two weeks to get back. Lorraine Richardson the “general manager” (on quotes because she should be fired) was very rude and abusive to me when I inquired about the additional costs. They stole money from me and arent being helpful

My room was #206 and the front door didn't latch close correctly, the toilet bowl was cracked, and their is compound on the the walls throughout the the bathroom and sleeping area that were not painted. The room almost looked like it was under construction. The only reason I stayed was because I just finished driving 11 Hours and just wanted to sleep.

We had a nice stay , staff was so Courteous and very helpful if there was anything we needed.We had Some noisy neighbors are first two nights there, but the next two nights were peaceful.Breakfast was pretty good I would've liked it more of a selection as far as meats it was sausage every day. The coffee was great would recommend this hotel.

Carpet was wet from the AC unit. The hotel was okay, just needs a refresh of the walls, fixtures, breakfast room, halls, and more. Breakfast was packed due to a group being there. But for in and out for a wedding, okay.

Received a Best Western "Free" Award night that was a recent promotional offer, stay 2 nights during the summer and get a night free after Sept 5. Booked the free reward night as instructed through the BW 800#. Received my reservation and figured we were all set get our free night. Arrive at this hotel after a 10 hour drive and 9pm to be told we don't have enough "points" and would have to pay $137 to stay. So the whole free award night (I had an award and sequence number) is a scam or this particular hotel is not honoring the free award and won't tell you that until you're at their front desk. So if you plan on staying here on a reward, forget about it! For me, never staying at this hotel or another Best Western in the future.

We book this hotel for the pool and hot tub only to find out that they are totally out of service. The windows are all covered with sheets and no one could say when it will be open. Do not book this hotel for your kids to enjoy pool time as a family as it will not happen. Breakfast was subpar- coffee was empty, eggs were old and just bits as it was nearly empty, bacon was empty, waffle batter machine was empty, etc. mold above shower in the bathroom. Nonexistent or nonworking bathroom fan in our room as well as the two rooms of people we were there to meet.

The good part - every staff member I encountered was friendly and helpful. I'm sure they are understaffed as each appeared to be doing the job of 3 people. Our bathroom had an awful smell - sickenly sweet and foul like old kitty litter. It appeared to be otherwise clean so no idea where that came from. Booked this place because it has a pool. After check-in was informed the pool was being "renovated". It would have effected my decision if I knew the pool was not open. Honestly the smell and the closed pool were really the only reasons I rated this poor. The bagels at breakfast were really stale, but for a low budget place that's not too out of the ordinary.

Room wasn't bad once we got into it. Keys wouldn't work, staff didn't acknowledge request before check in, they didn't put us in for 2 nights so they key didn't work the second day, desk lady was rude to a customer.

Our room smelled like moth balls, mold in shower, beds (both queen) sunken in middle and could feel springs. Stains on the sheets. You could not run the heat as it smelled like there was a fire. Don't recommend and won't stay again.

Seems like the Hotel was an afterthought, off road in weeds . Grass , weeds , trash . Luggage carts rusted . Room decent clean , but extremely bleached smell. Amenities not functional in Hotel and room . The Staff was pleasant, which in opinion was the best part of stay .

No pool, no laundry, only one ice machine. Hotel smells of chemicals. Charged 10$ per pet, per stay, which I wasn't told about until I got the bill. Worst hotel ever. Will never go back to this hotel. Front desk seemed high.

Best Western Chesapeake Bay North Inn is a great, convenient place to stay for about $100 a night. It is just a minute from I-95 and is only 10 minutes from the charming town of North East, MD where there are great restaurants and shops. This hotel also takes precautions against the spread of Covid through increased cleaning protocols and using hand sanitizer and gloves at the breakfast station.

We were just looking for a quick trip close to home. Our neighbors like to wake people up with their engine reving each morning. Checking was quick and you could smell they had recently cleaned the lobby/breakfast area. We had an issue with the heater in our room and it was quickly addressed. The beds and pillows were soft and we got to sleep in for the first time in months. Breakfast was hot and had plenty of options. The hotel was right off the highway and there was multiple restaurants nearby so if we ever want another quick getaway we would be happy to visit again.

Stayed here for a night. Looks a little worn, and is sort of off the beaten path, but there are signs, and my GPS brought me right there. Front desk staff is wonderful. Efficient check-in. We got to our room which appeared to be newly renovated except for the toilet. First flush & it back up all over the floor. I shut off the water and ran down the hall to the desk where they promptly moved us to another room. New room was fine, but it still had the older mattresses. They weren't totally uncomfortable, but definitely not as nice as the newer. Spacious room, very clean. Only issue we had was walking though the strong smell of marijuana all night in the hallway between the elevator & room, but I don't imagine there is much the hotel could've done about that. Took advantage of the free breakfast: eggs, biscuits & gravy, fresh waffles, juice, coffee - a nice assortment.

The hotel was close to the venue and was clean and comfortable. The breakfasts were fabulous and allowed me to not spend extra money having to breakfast elsewhere. Also, the fridge and microwave were wonderful to have. I would definitely stay here next year also!

Gross conditions. Safety hazards and worse? The general manager, does not care and takes zero responsibility. Shameful. Broken doors, broken window treatments, dogs running around inside of hotel, unsafe entry door that does not securely close.

The room was clean. There are a lot of people that just hang out in the parking lot like it's a street corner. The parking lot is not well lit, does not make you feel safe walking or leaving your car!

This Best Western was perhaps the best of all the Best Westerns I have stay in. Lexy at the front desk was so friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well suited to our needs. The recommendations for dinner were excellent.

The place is filthy. The smell of Marijuana fills the hotel. The beds are sunk in the middle, cracks in the tub and sink. Side entrance doors are broken to stay open allowing bugs and who knows what else! Would not recommend to anyone!

Large stain on a mattress that looked like blood. Major insect problems--ants, centipedes, and other small insects...did not sleep well. Door could not be closed from the outside without slamming and disturbing other hotel guests. Gym equipment was broken and unusable. Avoid.

Excellent location in Cecil County, MD. Easy access to main street North East MD restaurants and shops as well as Calvert County recreational locations. Very close to I-95. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly.

Hotel has become run down and needs to be renovated badly. Washing machines did not work which was one of the priorities of booking a hotel in that location. Drain in bathroom sink was missing. Breakfast was only ok (runny eggs). We have stayed in this hotel before but will look elsewhere until renovations are done.

I stay at this motel when I am in the area. It is always a great experience. The staff is the icing on the cake. The grands love the pool there. Safe surroundings for those that may worry about that. Will be back

We have stayed at this Best Western before and had no problems. This time when we went to bed we noticed the water in the toilet tank kept recycling every few minutes. It was loud and we could not get a good night's sleep. We were very tired and did not want to go through the hassle of changing rooms late at night. I used Best Western points for the room. If I had paid for the room I would have wanted my money back. When we checked out we complained to the front desk. I was given the card of the Manager and was told the Manager would call me. That never happened. Very upset and disappointed.

The room honestly had the highest ceilings ive ever seen which made every wisper echo. Other then that the staff was friendly and the room wasnt the wlrse ive been in but the huge deciding factor was there really wasnt alot goong on for breakfast, be warned show up right when it opens 20 mins late everything is gone.

I ventured out to a different Best Western hotel about a month ago. The staff there were wonderful--so many COVID precautions, every staff member was appropriately masked, grab and go breakfast, etc. I hoped this hotel would also be a great experience--but it wasn't. In local stores, we saw appropriate mask-wearing, so I'm not sure why all of the staff we saw on Saturday night did not have masks on. The clerk checking us in had one hanging off her ear, and never put it on throughout several conversations we had throughout the evening. The older gentleman didn't have one on him. He was alternating between hanging out in the breakfast lounge area watching tv, sitting with and talking to the desk clerk, and talking closely with a guest (also no mask in sight) in both the lounge area and over the front desk. Again, signage proclaiming that everyone must wear masks--right beside staff without them on. At least there was plexiglass between us and the desk clerk. I asked her about the enhanced grab and go breakfast I saw advertised on the website (and on the COVID sheet inside the room)--this was a great feature at the previous BW hotel I stayed at. Turns out they don't do that anymore, its back to the hot/cold buffet style. I asked about it a few times, as I was very surprised. Nope, except for staff making the waffles for you, and gloves that they request you use, its a serve yourself buffet. None of this made me feel confident they were adhering to the other COVID "We Care Clean" standards Best Western (and the hotel manager on the room sheet) states they follow. The room itself was clean and spacious. They do not use mattress encasements, but that's true of a lot of hotels. The pillow-top mattresses looked fairly new, but the fitted sheets obviously weren't made to fit deep mattresses. No comforter, but there is a thin white cover (not a regular sheet) that is thrown over the blanket--I guess this is their version of triple-sheeting, and I'm hoping they wash it after each guest, although I doubt they are washing the blankets each time. The pillows are okay and numerous, but they are the half-size ones that some hotels are now moving towards. We stayed in a double queen with a desk, upholstered chair, tv w/HBO, microwave and fridge. The fridge has a tiny freezer, which is more than many hotels fridges offer, and the microwave was very powerful. There isn't a lot of storage--two drawers and a shelf in the nightstand between the beds, and two drawers under a bench. There's a large cubbyhole under the microwave to put a large suitcase. The closet has several hangers (fully removable) and there is a valet stand. Toiletries are typical BW: shampoo, conditioner, facial and hand soap, lotion, bath cap and make-remover towelette. The bathroom was roomy and the showerhead had adjustable pressure. Other standard room items were iron/iron board, single-cup coffee maker, ice bucket, and several electrical outlets in the lamps (no USB connections). The decor was fine---modern but simplified, which suits me fine. The wood/vinyl bench was a nice element. Two full-length mirrors outside of the bathroom. No safe. There is some noise from what I think were the pipes, and the heater/air c londitioner is as noisy as you'd expect. Other than that, I didn't hear noise from neighbors or hallway (the hotel appeared to have a good number of people staying there and I saw several dogs besides our own). The lobby did have a somewhat musty smell, but the room did not. You are beside the highway, but set-back behind a dense line of trees so you don't hear or see it. Parking spaces are a little tight, but arranged so that you are never far from the lobby entrance. You're close to gas stations and shopping centers, so its a convenient location for a quick trip or delivery. It's a shame they are not on top of their COVID game, or I would recommend the hotel, give it four stars, and plan to stay here whenever visiting the area. But lack of commitment to public safety outweighs the other factors, so two stars it is.

My room was not clean. Had an open water bottle in the bathroom. Drawer handles were broken. Smelled like the last person had an animal while staying in the room. Also hallway smelled like smoke. People were smoking in the rooms. I am highly allergic to both!

Staff very friendly.. Respected my privacy and followed thru on my wishes when it came to caring for my room, I was overlooked twice with the cleaning and I can understand how human mistakes can happen. I stayed for 15 nights.

My stay at the Best Western hotel was a great one the staff was very nice and so was the hotel itself I Had a blast me and my husband got to explore and see things and we got to meet new people it was awesome

Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Room was very clean, and well stocked with abundant clean towels and toiletries. Room was spacious and comfortable. We were very happy to stay here. Our friends that stayed in other surrounding hotels were not as happy with their accommodations.

Very clean hotel; staff went above and beyond to assist with an issue we experienced during our short stay. Very friendly staff. The hotel and rooms were very clean, spacious and nice. The beds were comfortable.

We have stayed there before and had an excellent stay. But this time the pool and hot tub were broken. The room and bathroom had ants and not clean well. There was dirt under the bathroom sink wall week.

We stay here frequently on our way north from Florida. Always comfortable, clean, nice breakfast and the staff couldn't be any nicer, especially the lady who takes care of the breakfast area. We got a great sleep in a king room and was charged a great rate. Our fur baby felt very welcomed, too. The restaurants in the quaint little town are excellent.

Where do I begin? The first room we were given was on the second floor and it smelled like something died in there. In fact, as soon as the elevator door opened on 2 we were hit in the face with a really offensive smell. It smelled like rabid Cujo was foaming at the mouth with open sores and had been running loose all day. We immediately called down to the front desk and were told it was the only available room in the hotel. After marching right back down to the front desk and a few minutes of persistence, miraculously there was another room available on the third floor. It appeared clean and was spacious BUT all that glitters is not gold. The bed skirt was torn (!!!) and one for the mattresses had a huge indentation - this mattress needed replacing about 5 years ago. The other mattress was like wood. The bathroom caulking was gross. The tub mat was filthy with black spots - maybe mold - thank God we had some shower slides. It doesn't take much to upkeep a facility - to re-caulk periodically, replace a tub mat or either sew or replace torn linens. Something else upsetting, after we got our room key, we parked the car and used the side entrance to access the building. It was ajar with something holding it open. If you had a key, there's no need for this so anyone without a key was accessing the building for whatever reason. That's a security issue. If it weren't too late to cancel and go somewhere else, we would have. Sketchy hotel, avoid and go somewhere else. Trip Advisor's rating of this hotel is way off!

The room was pretty clean and well appointed. The TV was very small compared to most hotels I've stayed in. The bedding was nice. Breakfast was quite good. Two items of note, the indoor pool was closed for maintenance. This was one of the reasons we chose the hotel so our boys could swim. Second item, the in room refrigerator/freezer had old food left in the freezer section. These items keep it from getting a 5.

It's our third time at this place and we still enjoy the convenient location. Will definitly stay on our future trips. The only downside is when you get off I-95 south direction, you can't turn left to the hotel. You have to make a U-turn further in order to be able to go there.

My stay here was great and my room was very clean and well kept. The front desk woman Jasmine O. was a charm to talk to and kept me very informed about everything about Best Western! Will visit again!

This is our second stay here, and we come each year to see the Bald Eagles at the Dam. It's the best place to stay in the area for price, location, and value. We get the regular King size bedroom and room and bathroom are huge and clean. Bed and pillows extremely comfortable and room had a fridge and microwave. Free wifi and TV (which we didn't use) and free breakfast starting at 6am is a plus - although the breakfast was very mediocre compared to other hotels we've stayed at. They are pet friendly, but there weren't any barking dogs that disturbed us. Staff is friendly and check-in check out was easy. We will most likely stay here very time we visit!

Stayed here for Parents Weekend at University of Delaware. Everyone was very friendly here....guests and staff alike. We really enjoyed breakfast each morning, Our room was clean, bathroom was spacious, and beds comfortable. We would stay here again.

Noisy second floor with kids hollering and screaming Hot breakfast items unavailable when eating at the breakfast area. Internet problems accessing the hotel internet. The rooms were nice and well stocked and well kept by service people

I stayed one night at this location for the first time. IT is a very quiet hotel and very clean rooms! Hotel staff were a pleasure to deal with and fast getting me into my room and at check out. I will stay again.

9/9/19 stayed in room 306, smells like cigerettes, small mold in the bathroom, ac unit is loud wakes you up when it kicks on and off. would not stay here again . location is harder to find than the usual hotel. went here to goto hot rod drag week. they jacked up the price for the event. staff was friendly, location was near the track. but had terrible sleep and was clogged up all day due to cigerette smell.

The lack of knowledge of hotel policy at check-in started our one night stay. At check-in we were told our credit card would be charged $10 for incidentals, however, the charge was $50, we were credited the amount back at check-out as indicated. The half and half was 3 days past the expiration date at the coffee bar and the food service certificate that was posted by the breakfast expired in June 2019. These items can be overlooked, however, the small black ants the were crawling all of the breakfast buffet counter and walls by the syrup are not acceptable. The beds were very comfortable, the rooms were recently remodeled but the floor was uneven, there were large spackle marks on the walls, the shelf in the shower had been removed which left a black mold mark on the wall and the shower rod was not put in straight.

We were disappointed that the bed was not very comfortable in our room. But we were on a quiet floor, the staff was friendly and present, the guests were polite. The breakfast was the usual. The only problem was the bed not being comfortable. We didn't bring it to the attention of the staff because we were very tired.

First off the toilet broke the second night we stayed! Then the hot tub wouldnt hold any water. The water that did come out was brown and smelled like straight sulfer. It was horrible! Whats the point of paying for a jaccuzi room if you cant use the thing. The first night it was used for my wifes bridesmaids and the second night was for our wedding night. We didnt brimg anything to anyones attention because we had too many things going on at the time to deal with it. Only good thing i can really say was the bed was the most comfortable bed i have ever slept in at a hotel. But that dont really matter if the toilet and jacuzzi dont work! Oh and there was a giant hole in the trim of the jaccuzi where you can literally see under the damn thing.

This is one of the best stops on rt 95 in the north east It's a bit of the exit (2 turns within a 1 mlle) makes it a quiet location. The contemporary decor of the large rooms is delightful. The hotel is spotless and the price is very good. All of the help are pleasant and helpful. I will return as I drive from Florida to New England at least 4 times a year

If you like hotels with barking dogs and hallways that smell like wet cigars, this is your place. The floor mat at the front desk had more hair on it than my daughters hairbrush. I was booked into a smelly smoker room when my comfirmation CLEARLY stated non-smoking. — I will give thumbs up to the young lady at the front desk. I was NOT the only unhappy person she dealt with. But she handled everyone. Smiles and all. Well done. I do long haul runs for work & leisure. Picked this for the location. Not again. (PS: it's a local thing. The restaurant two traffic lights told me on the phone they never heard of the Best Western. Even though the front desk gave me the menu.).

Great staff. Very friendly and attentive. Rooms have brand new furniture. Very comfortable. Breakfast was typical hotel fare. Could possibly use a little more variety on breakfast buffet. But the staff in this area was also great.

staying at a best western hotel is a dream the custom service you recived is always excellent. The breakfast is also great the swimming falcity are always in excellent condtion . There is enough parking for all kinds of vcars and trucks

This place is clean and comfortable. We also enjoy the pool, which is in great shape. The staff is friendly and the breakfast is good. All in all we felt like we got our money's worth. The only thing we noticed was a whirring sound at night , it didn't really bother us but some might have not liked it.

We had a wonderful stay at Best Western. We stayed in the 2-Queen Bed Suite. It was so clean, simple yet sophisticated, and comfortable. Everything we needed was there. Before we stayed at the Best Western North East, we did not even know that city in MD existed. Best Western made it possible for us to stay in a home away from home.

Easy on and off from 95, clean and safe environment, new furniture in rooms, great price and value. We always choose this hotel when traveling south on Rt 95 and should be a good stop for most, try it!

I read the reviews before booking this hotel and there were a couple that were not great but I took a chance a booked there. I booked the queens suite which was very nice. I also booked a queen room both on the 4th floor due to a review about still a smoking hotel. We never smelled smoke and thought the hotel was clean and well kept. People we using the pool and pool area which looked clean.

Hotel was close to our family visiting area. Easy to navigate in & out with no heavy traffic. Easy parking, had no problems with finding a space. Quiet room & comfortable beds, front desk suggested Woody's Crab Restaurant and it was awesome!

Unfortunately, this stay was not one that I check the box for happy. The hotel rep was sitting in a chair barely able to be seen when I arrived and everytime after that when I visited the lobby to either ask a question or pass by. When I asked a question, she was not rude, just not warm and inviting. I experienced loud voices on the 4th floor for over 3 hours into the night and when I called the front desk NUMEROUS times, no one ever picked up. The room temp was set to 70 as I was freezing and when I even turned it up to 72, it still kept the room chilly and at home I keep my temp at 65, so this is absurd. I had a project I needed to finish and tried to use the desk provided in the room and the light didn't turn on, I called to the front desk (two of the times I tried calling) and no answer to help me so I had to make do on the bed which was cumbersome. I know this is not how the hotel is ran most of the time as I have stayed here a couple other times, but if this was my only stay, I would not be returning. :(

During a previous stay I commented on a review about suffering through FoxNews at breakfast. That is not a news network and only portrays offensive material that it passes off as news. After previously complaining that about that, I was informed that I would be able to have someone from the front desk change the channel. I asked to have the channel changed and was almost being lectured about preference of TV watching. If no one at Best Western - North East, MD doesn't know, it is offensive because of the way people are described by the so-called pundits, especially if they don't fit the demographics of FoxNews viewers. The next time I need a hotel in that area, it won't be the Best Western in North East MD. I'll stay at a Sonesta, Hampton Inn, or any other hotel where they actually cater to the guests instead of arguing with them and trying to deny guests the choices to avoid that kind of offensive blathering.

My room was clean and the price was reasonable. That being said, when the doors shut, they SLAM. So loudly that it woke me up startled. I'm not a soft sleeper, but the construction crew that was staying at the hotel started leaving around 4:30 and the doors continued to slam through the remainder of the morning. There was no sleeping once it started. And the walls were so thin I could hear the conversations in the adjacent rooms. I will not be staying here again.

We stopped there for the first time on our way down to Florida. Rented a suite since we were 4 travelling plus a dog. Closed to I-95 and very convenient. Welcoming employee was very cheerful andpleasant. Will come back on our next trip.

Staff at the reception helpfull and friendly. Bedroom and bathroom are very cleaned but the walls are very thin (we heard people screaming and fighting in the middle of the night from next door) and the mattresses are worn-out (not a good thing when you are on the road for a couple of days).

If you've driven North on I-95 through Richmond, Va. and into Washington D.C. at close to rush hour you can imagine what a relief it was to stop at this hotel. We started out in the morning from South Carolina 10 miles North of Georgia on I-95 at 5 A.M. We reached Richmond around 2 p.m. and made the mistake of stopping for a bite to eat. Well, traffic became wicked through the area. They have a commuter lane(s) that are a toll and depending on if your going South they are open in the in the morning. In the evening they are open going South so they were of no help to us going North. Anyway, it took us a lot longer than we anticipated. There is a Hollywood Casino in Maryland a few exits before the exit for this Best Western so we also stopped in. Enjoyable. When we got to the exit for the Best Western we stopped at the Denny's just up the road from it. Again, enjoyable. It was close to 9 P.M. when we finally checked in. It was rapid so we were thankful. The hotel was nice and it was quiet so we had a good night sleep and a breakfast at the hotel. It took us another 4 hours to arrive home (2 P.M.) and we avoided New York area rush hour easily. All I can say is Richmond, Va. to Connecticut driving is to be avoided late day at all costs!

We stayed here while attending a retreat weekend at Sandy Cove. Overall we liked the hotel. It was clean, the beds were decent and the staff were friendly and helpful. Parking was tricky in the evenings when we got back as the lot was full, but we were able to find something eventually. The only issue we had was that there were tiny ants in our hotel room, coming in from a small hole near the a/c unit, but it appeared that these ants were everywhere on the hotel grounds and even at our retreat center (which was on the other side of town). However, the hotel was wonderful about it and made sure our room was treated while we were at the retreat center and cleaned and even offered another room to us (we declined to move since we were already settled in and the ants weren't bothersome). They did offer a slight discount on the price of the stay, which was an acceptable resolution for us. We'd probably stay here again when in the area. We did not get to use the pool area as we were busy all weekend at the retreat center.

We always stay at this hotel when in the area. They treat you like family and make you feel at home. It is the cleanest hotel in the area. This is the only hotel in the area that we will stay in. Would strongly recommend staying here if you are in the area.

After a long drive, the Best Western North East Inn was a site for tired eyes. After a pleasant interaction with the front desk and a quick and easy check in, we made our way to the room. The room was spacious, clean, and well stocked with nicely scented soap, shampoo, and conditioner. The beds were clean, well made, and oh so comfortable. It was nice to relax, and watch some cable TV on the flat screen in the room. Some other features that were nice, that we didn't have time to take advantage of were a pool, hot tub, and a gym! It's always nice to have all the comforts of home while on the road! Thanks Best Western North East Inn!

Front desk - I really should've noted her name so I could give her credit. Smiling, friendly, quick service at check-in. That means a lot. (Thank you for giving me the 'gift bag' that was left for me!) (Saturday, August 11th, around 2PM) I'll make this short: Spotlessly clean. Very quiet - even though at full capacity. Rooms were made-up perfectly. What more could you want from a Best Western? My congratulations to the management... You have a great staff.

After a long drive cruising through the north east USA, it was nice to land in North East, Maryland. Checking in was a breeze, I zipped right into the room and plopped on a comfy bed. The staff was an 11 out of 10, the room itself was an 11 out of 10, and I'll be back. Thanks for taking care of a tired traveler.

I made a last minute reservation through travelocity and picked this hotel because it had a slightly higher rating. The website made it seem like this hotel was almost full so I quickly booked a room with 2 queen bed and non smoking. I was really shocked that a hotel would even have smoking rooms anymore. We checked in after 4 PM and I asked the girl at the front desk for suggestions of things to do in the area. She replied I have no idea I don't k live around here. I asked if there were any brochures and she directed me around the corner to a room behind a door. Nothing in there for anything local. They had the local paper and a USA today sitting on a rack for free so I looked at those instead. We ended up going in to North East that night and a lady at one of the shop handed us a nice nap of the town with all the shops and eating places. It would have been nice to have those at the hotel. The room was very clean and had plenty of towels and pillows. If you look at my photos, you'll see the room which included a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. You'll also see the last photo was from my window which showed one of the workers working on his car. I saw him shortly after that in the lobby pushing a cart around. Maybe he was on break? A continental breakfast was included and when I went down the first morning, the scrambled eggs were stuck to the pan and the tops were all dried out. The bread and bagels didn't look fresh either. The second day, there was a bus that stayed overnight and the buffet was wiped out by 7:30 and it seemed no one was replacing anything so we went to a nearby Waffle House. Also the second night we came back from a long day and wanted to use the indoor pool to relax. The pool wasn't heated and was too cold to even get in. I did use the hot tub which was relaxing but the tiles were in need of repairs.

We stayed here for a weekend. The room was clean and stocked. Staff was nice. It was difficult to find because it is hidden in with older houses around it, Signs were not very visible from two different directions. Maybe outdoor maintenance can cut away all the trees and brush. The biggest complaint that I had was we were near an end of the hall with exit to outside. It was never locked. I found that to be uncomfortable and make people come through the main entrance during evening hours.

The hotel is a bit off the beaten path, it's nice and private. The beds are comfortable and they give you a lot of pillows. I slept great. The rooms could use a better cleaning, the picture I added was right next to the air conditioner. I'd stay here again. I liked the little store area for stuff we forgot

This hotel is a little difficult to find, off a side street, not visible from any main road. Room was clean and well-maintained. I asked for extra pillows, but none were available.Halls were noisy during the night, but it was a holiday weekend. Breakfast was disappointing, Monday was a holiday, expected food service to follow weekend hours. Instead they stopped at 930, but did not replenish any food - even chilled packaged food or bagels - after 9. I had a waffle. And nothing else. None of this is a deal-breaker, but there are two other hotels at this exit from 95. Will try a different one next time.

We had a graduation at University of Delaware to attend and found this 10 miles away. It was a little farther than we expected but the rooms were wonderful! Very spacious and comfortable. Would recommend this to anyone..

My husband and I recently stayed at the BW in North East, Maryland on our annual drive up from Florida to CT. The hotel was clean and very accommodating, we have two English Mastiffs. Our stay was very pleasant. I realized a few days later that I had left a small pair of earrings in the room. I called the hotel to see if anyone had found them and turned them in, and was pleasantly surprised to find out the hotel had them. Vivian, the employee I spoke with, was so wonderful. My earrings arrived safely with a very nice note. I am so impressed with the level of customer service at this hotel.

My wife and I visited North East and wanted a reasonably inexpensive place to stay the night. Easy to get to but somewhat tucked away (it's easy to miss the entrance), this Best Western was clean, efficient, and perfect for what we needed. While the hot tub was broken when we visited, the pool was nice. Breakfast was nothing fancy, but met our needs. Recommended if you have ever stayed in a Best Western before.

In town for wedding. So seems like this joint is a popular place to get your drink on a carouse with a couple dozen friends. You basically could hear a whisper through the thin walls, and the folks on our floor didnt whisper. I still wonder if Tanya called the cops after her mother assaulted her. We spent about 20 minutes in the room, did a 180 and drove back home. Staff may had been able to help, but didnt feel safe or comfortable.

Great staff, great beds and great extras. Here for business one night and I was able to take a nap before heading out for night--super comfy beds I really needed after a long drive. My meeting kept me out super late and the staff was great about letting me check out a little late-- bed was so great I slept right up to check-out! They've got a pool I didn't have time to use, but it looked awesome. People were having a lot of fun in there. I did get to use the little mini-mart when I got in at 2am---always happy when a hotel has one of these rather than a vending machine that may or may not work.

We always stay at this location when visiting friends/family in the area. Rooms are extremely clean, the staff is very accommodating and the breakfast is included. Plenty of conveniences in the immediate area.. Fast access to I-95.

Overall good experience. The room was clean and reasonable size. Decor was a little dated, but the room was clean. Outside grounds were adequate. Nothing fancy here, but a nice clean hotel with easy access to the highway. We were traveling back from Florida and just needed a good nights sleep and breakfast. This fit the bill.

This Best Western is in a great spot right off of 95 with plenty of great dining and shopping options, a zoo and a casino. We had a painless super late checkin by a friendly staff person who was extremely considerate in that he offered us a late check out without asking. The complimentary breakfast was on point and featured an item rarely seen – chipped beef in gravy. This was a super clean and nice Best Western with a sweet indoor pool and hot tub. The rooms and bathrooms were extra large and roomy and the beds were super comfy. The shower had great water pressure and plenty of hot water; also the heater worked great as well – two crucial items as it was freezing outside. There was also plenty of parking space for our large sprinter/trailer combo. Area seemed super safe as well. We had a great stay and cant wait to come back.

The room in which we stayed was clean and comfy. Breakfast offered a good variety (although my daughter didn't love the potatoes, even though she's usually a potato freak), and had ample seating. The front desk help was nice enough. The elevator stopped working, for some reason, at one point, so we walked up the 3 flights to our room, but it wasn't too terrible, and it worked again the next day. A kind guest alerted us to the elevator problem; I wonder whether the front desk would have, if this guest hadn't told us! This hotel was right across the street from a shopping center containing a Pizza Hut and a convenience store/gas station, as well as some other food establishments (We only used the 2 mentioned.). It was also practically right down the road (a long road) from the Herr's Snack Factory tour.

As some others have noted, this is perfectly fine for an overnight stay if you are looking for budget accommodations - clean, well maintained common areas, friendly staff. They report they're in the process of replacing mattresses. Unfortunately we got a room with one of the old ones and it was the worst, saggy, beaten up thing I've ever encountered and my back is aching today. So I would not recommend unless they can promise you one of their “refreshed” rooms. Also, stay away from the powdered eggs.

Rated this hotel average since we never actually stayed here. We were supposed to stay at this hotel on Friday night, never made it since Waze took us to another location about 20 minutes away - so we had passed it on our way down 95 going south. We called the hotel, and they already knew about this mix-up since it had happened to others. PLEASE figure out how to fix this navigational nightmare!

We always try to stay at a Best Western hotel/motel because they always deliver a consistent product that you can rely on. Problem is I need to book earlier because they are often full, and I have to stay somewhere else.

Staff very professional, friendly, warm, smiling and pleasant. Loved how comfortable the bed was, only wish the pillows were standard size. Pillow wasn't bad, I just would prefer regular one. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

We used the coupon from the hotel magazine which they accepted unlike so many hotel that say no more of those rooms are available. Love the location right off of I-95. The check-in experience was pleasant & he offered us different options. The room was modern, comfortable and clean. The breakfast was just ok. Will definitely go back.

Accomodating staff. Late checkout no problem after late arrival. Pool and spa are very nice, wish I had more time to use them. Pretty standard breakfast. Room could use some updates ( a chair broke when I sat down ). Bed was average. No problem recommending for a business or leisure trip. I would stay again.

This hotel was nice! Newely remodeled, The room was clean! We got a suite and it was nice and roomy! Bathroom has ample space. We picked this because it was closest to the lacrosse tournament we were going to and we would definitely stay here again!

Very nice place! Rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff was very friendly even though I arrived in the middle of the night. There is a very nice workout room with everything you would need for a complete workout. They also offer omelets in their complimentary breakfast which is very good and was worth getting up for despite checking in after 1 am. Great place to stay! I will be back

The refrigerator in room stunk like something sour and did not work. The pool was cold and hot tub was to hot way past bath water. The breakfast eggs, potatoes, and sausage were to salty and greasy. More healthy foods like breakfast bars, granola, fruits would be nice.

We spent one night here during our trip from NY to Florida. Check in was quick. Staff friendly. Lobby welcoming and big. The pool was closed for ? Repairs but we used the hot tub which was super hot. Our room was very clean and no overpowering smells. The AC /heater was NOT loud and annoying. Sheets were a little scratchy but they do have a fitted bottom sheet so that stays on. I didn't hear any road noise since hotel does sit back off the highway. Big parking lot but dark. Only Pizza Hut and a Chinese restaurant nearby. Easy access on and off of I95. I would stay here again.

I had the pleasure of staying at the the Best Western North East Inn in North East, MD. We arrive late after a long day spent in Washington, D.C. The hotel and their staff were very welcoming. They quickly checked us in and got us to our rooms ASAP. They still quickly explained all the wonderful things the hotel offered like the full workout room, gorgeous indoor pool and a top notch complimentary breakfast. The room itself was very nice, clean and spacious. You walk in to a good sized living room next to the bedroom. Plenty of space for my things and my luggage. A really nice bathroom with a good sized shower. We were back on the road the next morning. I only wish I could have spent more time at the Bet Western North East Inn in North East, MD.

I recently stayed here with my son for a lacrosse tournament and I was very satisfied considering I'm a pretty picky person. The hotel was modern, clean, not that busy and the price was very reasonable. Our room was nice and clean. Unfortunately weekend breakfast starts at 7am and we had to leave at 6:30am

What a great and polite staff. The room was quiet and comfortable. The night staff was just as pleasurable and intimately lovely just as much as the morning staff. We absolutely loved the breakfast, You could really tell the food was prepared with great care and kindness that you would usually find at grandmas house. We had a great stay and I would recommend this Inn to anyone. A great place for a rode hard weary traveler.

Are use best Westrin whenever possible. We can usually find a hotel with breakfast that starts early enough for me to have Manatt work by seven. This hotel is very nice for business travel. I don't know about vacationing in this area as we are working.

Clean rooms and pleasant staff. The breakfast included the usual Best Western choices including hot selections of scrambled eggs, hash browns, sausage and bacon. The 3-floor hotel had an elevator (unlike most of the 2-story hotels). They also had a guest laundry room.

This hotel is good, clean and comfortable. It is very close to the I95 highway just outside the town of North East in Maryland. The room was large with good fittings and a comfortable bed. Breakfast was good and filling (included in the price we paid) and the staff were very helpful. There is also an indoor swimming pool and gym. North East itself is a good place to visit, but the hotels location is also handy for visiting Philadelphia, Baltimore or Washington.

This property is showing some age. We mistakenly booked a smoking room but could not find another hotel vacancy in the area. The office clerk said we could cancel our reservation if we found another hotel. The bathroom was great but the furniture had a throw over the chair..no way I was going to sit there. The wi-fi signal was a little weak. Breakfast was okay but not great. Halls had a musty smell probably from the smoke

The staff here went out of their way to be sure our every need was met! Their were a lot of us and the staff handled all kinds of requests and special situations. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and there was a wide variety of offerings. Best waffles I've ever eaten! Wonderful stay and I highly recommend this hotel!

Elevator needs major service, evening clerk was inattentive and short at best, and floors are odoriferous (from chlorine to whiskey), and price is much too high for available facilities. May be a better idea to travel a few more miles if staying in the area.

I just needed a place for one night (traveling from NJ to VA). All I needed was something clean, quiet and comfortable. This Best Western delivered that and more. Actually, I was impressed before i even got there. For some reason, WAZE sent me 25 minutes away (I double checked, I did put the address in correctly). I called the Best Western and the associate working the desk set me straight on directions (and Google Maps). I arrived pretty late at night. We shared a laugh and she checked me in quickly. From the minute I walked into the room I was comfortable. Very big room (wasn't necessary since I was only there for 7hrs) but still appreciated. I could also tell everything was kept very clean. The bathroom was also quite big (lots of counter space). Everything was quiet and got a great night's sleep. The fitness center is laid out well, with a universal type weight machine (nice to get some strength work in while traveling) along with three cardio options. The breakfast area was busy, but also kept clean and fully stocked while I was there. Again, only there for an overnight but completely satisfied. If I pass through the region again, I'll definitely stay here again.

Very clean and accommodating hotel with a wonderful, friendly staff. Rooms are very comfortable, and breakfast is always good! The hotel is just off the main roads, which makes it very quiet! The first time we stayed in this area, we tried another hotel, which is on the main road, and it proved to be very noisy.

We stayed at the BW North We stayed a the BW North East Inn and was pleased at how lare the room was. The room was clean and well appointed.Staff was friendly and the desk attendant was very helpful. We did not eat breakfast there, so I really can"t comment on that. My only wish was that it would have had a bar, although there are liquor stores close by.

Been using the place for a home away from home for past several years. Most of all I will miss the great staff (all are super) This place is only getting better with each renovation. But due to a change in my work I will be checking out for my last work stay . But if im ever back in the area you can be sure this will be my home again,

Been coming here since it was new because it's near Woody's in North East.. It's now old and in need of serious renovation. Just kind of shabby. Mattress is very old and uncomfortable, Can feel springs.

Room was large and clean. Bathroom was huge ! But get to breakfast quick, staff doesn't refill breakfast items in a timely manner ! Staff was friendly just had to keep asking them for breakfast items.

We recently stayed at Best Western NEI and I was appalled. Upon arriving, the hotel is extremely hard to find. The front of the hotel is littered with trash, and old landscape and looks extremely worn, not to mention a used kitty litter scoop right behind the bench they provide you to sit on. Check in was normal, but once we arrived on the 3rd floor, we stayed in #322 the whole floor reeked of marijuana. I know this is something that they cannot control so I asked if they had another floor we could stay on and they said no. I called some other hotels in the area and they were booked. We went to use the gym and everything but the treadmill was broken. The air conditioning is leaking and there is a rather large pile of MOLD sitting right there in the room.Also I guess they have younger staff who have childcare issues, and behind the counter were employees children. I feel like this kept them from being able to properly care for customers. Across the room from us, an employee stayed in a room. She had 2 smaller dogs who barked all night. She had long blond hair and was rather foul mouthed when she was not on duty. If you are going to allow employees to live in your hotel, please tell them that they represent the hotel even when they are not on duty. The vending machines are half stocked and you charge the same amount for canned soda as you do for bottled soda. The room was basic. The outlet behind the table did not work. So we had to relocate the alarm clock which was a pain. The pool was nice, but the lighting there was awful. There were never any pool towels, we always had to go to reception to get some and they would put some in 35 to 40 minutes later. Having stayed at other Best Westerns, I did not expect this out of the hotel. Also when we were at breakfast there was a man there that was not staying there, and had wandered in off of the streets. We let the breakfast attendant know and also the front desk and nothing was done. We took our children upstairs to eat cereal because we felt that he was on drugs and was a danger to the children. When we came back down to leave for the day, we were told he was removed. Well he needed to be removed before we took the kids upstairs, not 2 hours later once breakfast was over and done. I do not know that I would stay there again. And I would not recommend that others stay there either. Between the random guy, the room stinking, the way the employees acted I just would not.

we had a very hard time even finding the hotel-drove by it twice--our king room had an old upholstered chair and ottoman which were covered with a cheep loose covering-I wasnt brave enough to look under or sit on it--also the air conditioner was set at 67 and had soaked the carpet for at least 6 feet from the window. The bed was fine.--the floors and carpet in the common areas were filthy as was the hotel entry. the ice machines were all not functional. The breakfast was not the quality I had expected of a best western--we could have chosen 2 other cheeper and newer hotels and regretted not doing so

The worst part of the breakfast room environment was the TV being tuned to FoxNews, which is broadcasting at a very low level. If news was going to be of interest, the hotel should have tuned in to a real news network, or something local. The scrambled eggs could have been better.

My husband and I had a night away! I loved the Jacuzzi it was exactly what I needed to relax. We have 3 children so this Best Western was close enough in case our baby sitter needed anything but also far enough away for us to relax. The room was very clean and so was the bathroom. The jacuzzi tub was amazing!!!! i would definitely recommend this hotel!

We stayed here two nights while in the area for a wedding. Elevator down when we arrived after midnight, so we had to take a room on 1st floor. It had one king instead of two queens, as requested, but it worked out fine. All first floor rooms apparently non-smoking so no hint of smoke smell mentioned in other reviews. Everything quite clean (Hallway did smell a little like lysol in the morning). Mattress seemed new and it was very firm and comfortable. Very bright light outside the window made it a little difficult to get to sleep (drapes let light in on the sides). Plenty of restaurants closeby on the other side of 95.

Dead bugs covered the hallway and doorway to the room. When reported we were dismissed and were told oh yeah third floor they were changing lights. They would come and vacumn but we returned from dinner and they were still there. It was disgusting. Hundreds in the hall and when they finally vacumned the cleaning person complained and did in front of our door but not the rest of the hall. It made my skin crawl thinking of it.it did not make for a restful night.

We needed to switch rooms. The first room had a damp floor and a musty smell. Elevator was broken fro 2 days. The pool was under construction for months and didn't inform us at time of booking. Breakfast was a repeat for 2 days in a row.

Stayed with a large wedding group. Made reservation based upon pool. Pool was under renovation, elevators broken. Room was fine, basic. It was a place to crash but not hang out as a group, which is what we were hoping for.

Best Western North East is an excellent choice for a clean, friendly hotel. There is some construction going on in the hotel right now so a bit of inconvenience for anyone who might want to use the pool and for someone on a floor where they are updating the rooms but all in all, the hotel is very quiet and a great place for business travelers and families alike. Easy to get to from I-95.

When we checked in we were greeted by the clerk at the front desk, she was very professional. However in the registration area there were two employees discussing private matters that shouldn't be discussed in guest areas. When the front desk clerk asked them what they were up to they replied trying to find money for an O-Ring... My mother and I were necessarily worried that a toilet needed an O-ring but that the hotel didn't have enough money for them. The hallway reeked of Pot and my parents room reeked of pot. I really don't care if you are smoking pot but it's a nonsmoking area, if I can't smoke my cigarettes you can't smoke your pot. We had three rooms and all of our rooms had lightbulbs out or lamps not functioning. Cracked tiles in the bathrooms etc. The elevator was a little scary so I took the stairs down.. The area was a little dirty but that's the norm but the door to the outside was ajar and didn't close properly. If we had time to change hotels we likely would have but the location was the best for the reason for our visit. As far as I could tell it was fairly clean.. it could have use a good spring cleaning... I really didn't want to look that hard.

Lobby was clean and appealing, but 2nd floor hallway was disgusting and reeked of lysol. Carpet was soiled and not vacuumed. Dead bug in bathroom. Loud plumbing kept us awake. We should get a full refund - this was not a discounted price hotel and was rated 4.5 stars by Hotels.com. Won't use their ratings again and won't stay at a Best Western every again.

We were extremely dissatisfied with this stay. We were returning guests and have always been pleased in the past. However, this will be our last stay at this location. We were awaken at 12:30 at night by the strong smell of cigarette smoke within our room. When we called to alert the front desk, we were informed that there was no other room availability (when we had checked in 4 hours earlier, there were still a variety of rooms available to book online) and that there was nothing she could do. She suggested she would try to find febreeze to help the odor. After being placed on hold, she returned saying she couldn't find the febreeze and that housekeeping must have it. She apologized. That was it, nothing else was offered. I asked for any kind of discount on the cost or something to compensate for not being able to sleep in the room, I was offered a $15 reduction on the bill. I asked if the room across the hall was a smoking room and mentioned that their door was propped open and perhaps the smell was coming from there. She told me that "no that's not a smoking room and they don't smoke in the room anyway". Shortly after hanging up, the door across the hall was slammed shut. Seemed quite convenient. We turned the AC to high and stuffed every towel and blanket around the visible openings around the perimeter of the door to try and reduce the entry of the smoke smell and get some level of sleep. Overall we were very unhappy with the lack of concern and care expressed by the staff.

Stayed here June 17th & 18th. Have stayed at this hotel on multiple occasions. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Breakfast is nothing to write home about. The only negative on this trip was that the pool and hot tub were closed for remodeling, which we were not told of in advance.

Disappointed due to broken elevator, my wife has bad knees and to walk up flights of stairs was not helpful. Pool not available for any one to use. This made a very bad experience for my grandkids, checked out the next day. We had planned on staying overnight again upon our trip to go back home.

Stayed after my wedding and found spiders and a knife along with a fan motor in the bathroom laying on the bathroom table. Had a hot tub and had rings where the water layed. I hope they never have knifes laying around due to kids can hurt themselves

Room and clean, breakfast was not bad, but the woman who was in charge of the breakfast, had a look on her face, that she could less that she has a job,. Almost missed the turn for the hotel, bushes need trimming.

We stayed at this hotel for a family/friend gathering in Memorial weekend. We paid way too much for this very poor hotel. The biggest issue was that during the checkin, we learned that the pool is under renovation. When we mention that they need to update the reservation website, the answer was "we update our own website but we do not take responsibility for other online reservation sites", there was no wiliness for helping us or offer any compensation. We do not recommend this hotel.

We stayed here for one night, I left my favourite leather jacket and cel phone in the room. We were on our way to Florida and would be travelling for a few weeks. The lady at the desk courier my belonging to Florida at no charge. Now that's service. thank you fro Nova Scotia Canada.

Stayed for one evening on business as nothing else was in the area. The photos online and reviews make this property seem much better than it is. I thought the hotel room was very old and dated. Lots of cracks, the bathroom wasn't super clean. The mattress was very cheap- you could feel the coils and the pillows were awful. Breakfast was fine for people who aren't overly picky. Juice is powder mixed with water and same with the "eggs". They had fresh fruit available but none of it was ripe or very fresh seeming. The check in staff was friendly so at least that's one plus. Certainly fine for one night and okay for a "value" property but certainly not my first choice.

Hotel was good location for our meeting and conference in Port Deposit. Staff was very helpful. Easy access from interstate. Location close to casino at Perryville if you want to leave your money behind.

Located just off I-95 close to get on and off the interstate. We had a state association meeting with a block of 35 rooms. The staff was very nice and friendly. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and comfortable.. The breakfast was good and hot. Lots of variety. The lady in the morning in the breakfast area, greeted each table asked if they needed anything and would take your plate and cup for you when you finished. The hotel is also pet friendly, very nice traveling with your dog. I would recommend the Best Western to anyone. Nice grassy area to walk your dog.

One night stay because it was close to the highway. I trusted the Best Western name as I have had good experiences in the past. BIG MISTAKE!! The room reeked of cigarette smoke, the carpets were filthy and I had to brush debris off the sheets. The room was uncomfortably cold and the heating system didn't seem to work until about 4 AM. I asked for a different room, was told there was nothing available, and was given a can of air freshener. The only positive thing I can say is that all of the staff I met were friendly. Someone is doing a good job on hiring and a terrible job on maintenance.

We stayed here last minute on our way to Florida. Hotel was clean, well stocked and the staff members were very friendly. Breakfast was what you would expect for a complimentary hotel breakfast, but there was a lovely woman who was attending to things. She made my 5yr old feel special with a chocolate bunny for Easter morning.

Warning. Check your credit card statement for a few days after check out. This lifetime non smoker was silently hit with a $100 charge for smoking in the room. Hotel quickly rescinded the charge when challenged, offering the explanation that the prior occupant must have smoked. Room didn't smell like smoke when I checked in. So this may be a money making scheme by BW.

Stayed overnight for a family emergency, didn't arrive until 2 am. Stayed on the 4th floor. Quiet and clean, friendly staff. Only cons were the heater/AC unit didn't work, and breakfast was best sought elsewhere.

Drove up for several hours from Myrtle beach SC. I wanted to use the exit guide coupon. when we got there were told only one room was left, small suite, couldn't use the coupon. Couldn't drive anymore, totally beat. Room was clean, beds were extremely comfortable. Sofa and chair in room had stretch slip covers on them. Tacky. We didn't avail ourselves of the breakfast. Even with AAA discount, was a little pricy. I would recommend just getting a regular room if possible. They come with fridge and microwave.

Roads were closed going north due to the storm, so we stopped here for the night. Staff was friendly, despite a packed hotel! Rooms were warm and comfortable, wifi signal was okay. Would be happy to stay here again.

The BW is a reasonable value. Staff is cordial and responsive. Lodgings are clean and simple, rooms are of ample size. Free breakfast is humble. Not bad for a short overnight or budget stay. Presently undergoing some renovations - ask staff.

When travelling I-95, wanted a place out of the city to overnight. This hotel is off the beaten path, has good service and never too crowded. Full hot breakfast included. Rooms are basic but clean. Have stayed here at least half a dozen times.

I stayed here for one night with my teenage son. We picked this place because of it's proximity to the venue where a mountain bike race was being held. The staff was very friendly; both at the front desk and the breakfast hostess. Breakfast was fine, simple and easy. The hotel was very clean. We didn't use the indoor pool but it looked very welcoming. My son used the workout equipment. Since he is under 16 I had to accompany him. There is no chair to sit, having one in there would be a nice bonus. There was also no towels or sanitizer to wipe the equipment. Our room was also very clean. The bathroom was clean, the shower pressure was wonderful. The bed was super comfy! The problem i had was with the room freshener. It was such a strong scent and it never faded. Perhaps I'm ultra sensitive to this, but it was so strong it made me nauseated. In fact i had difficulty sleeping. I probably would stay here again, but the room freshener might be an issue.

Clean. Amazing staff. Breakfast was very nice. When we were leaving for the day we stopped to fill our water bottles and the breakfast attendant was cleaning up and insisted we make some breakfast sandwiches to take with us. Overall it was a very warm and welcoming hotel and would definitely stay there again!!

Nice place. Pretty clean. They serve breakfast in the mornings which everyone helps themselves to. Staff is friendly and willing to help. Elevator takes too long between floors. Parking lot well lit and plenty of spaces.

The area, outside, lobby and room were very nice. Of course, the staff, as usual, were terrific. Best Westerns now have a sanitized T.V. remote, which I love. However, we had a problem with our T.V. reception and the original remote was no longer in the room to fix the problem. Our room itself was very clean. The mirrors throughout the room were another story. They looked like they hadn't been cleaned for a while. This Best Western has indoor pool, which was the reason for choosing this hotel to begin with, was FREEZING. My guess is, it was hovering somewhere around 65 degrees which is far too cold for an indoor pool. The gym and computer room were nicely equipped. Breakfast was decent and made a nice display. This hotel is conveniently located.

Stayed for five nights at the Best Western in North East, Maryland for my niece's wedding as did many other family members. This hotel was clean, well-kept, comfortable and had a great staff from the front desk to housekeeping to the breakfast staff. Will definitely stay here again when we come to visit our niece and my new nephew.

Great one night stay during vacation travels. Customer service was with a smile and very helpful. We would definitely recommend for a great night's sleep...no frills, very clean, continental breakfast included. Reasonably priced for the area and conveniently located off the freeway.

Stay here each year when we return to Maryland to visit family and friends. Rooms are always very clean. Great water pressure in showers and the staff are great. Good hot breakfast in morning. Location is a plus also.

We stayed here for an evening. The Inn is clean, our room was clean and spacious, if a bit spartan in decorations and coziness. The breakfast was standard for these types of Inns, nothing to write home about, but enough to ward off hunger pains. There is a pool on the first floor and travelers and their children were taking advantage of it. Just off I 95 and secluded from highway noise and traffic whereas the Holiday Inn and Comfort Inn are right on Rt 272.

Our second stay here (just by chance). Very high quality and friendly staff too. The clerk at the front desk took the trouble to look up my Rewards points, unlike the previous BW we stayed at, and it turned out we had enough for a free night! Yay! Breakfast was just ok, not anything to write home about, the egg omelet was dry but the sausage patty was good. A good selection of fresh fruit was available. We'll stay there again if things work out that way.

We stopped in for a night's stay while traveling on business. We checked in really late, and the staff was very pleasant and helpful. The room was clean and nice. Overall met or exceeded all our expectations.

This hotel is an excellent choice in North East. It is somewhat off the beaten path so very quiet. There is quick access to 95 and an easy trip into the little town with many restaurants and shops . The hotel has a very friendly staff, especially the breakfast hostess who always greets with a smile and a welcome. I highly recommend. Lobby is in need of an update and the room décor is dated but comfortable.

Had to come east for family visit. We have stayed here before for at least a week. It serves it's purpose but has its drawbacks making it a compromised accommodation. It needs a face lift badly and new beds. Holiday Inn is crazy expensive and the Comfort Inn is unacceptable. So here we stay. Breakfast is ok. Fair choices. Fair quality. Be prepared to eat around some construction type patrons wearing some dirty tee shirts and work boots. Every time we stay here ( several times a year ) we have experienced all of the above. Staff are super nice. Some towels frayed and bed sheets stained. Not much choice in this area for hotels. Coffee not very good quality as compared to say Holiday Inn.

I cannot say enough about this very, very pleasant hotel & staff. I made a last minute change from another hotel to this BW on the advice of a friend. The BW North East Inn was one of the nicest hotel stays I've ever had. Janet at the front desk was simply outstanding in her service to me from the moment I called to see if they had an open room. She even texted me the address as I was driving and could not stop to get it. I stayed in Room 218-A and it was just lovely. Neat & clean as a whistle. The ladies who clean this hotel obviously take lots of pride in their work! Janet also recommended to my friend & I a place in town to have dinner and she was bang! on about Woody's! I will absolutely positively stay at this BW again on my travels.

Great facility. Could use a bigger parking lot or more parking near entrance. An outdoor pool would have been nice. Very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was just okay nothing great. Convenient to Cecil College and the downtown area of North East. Restaurants and nice shops a short drive away. Close to the water and boating.

This was the fourth Best Western we stayed on our anniversary vacation trip. We were excited to stay here after reading the reviews and getting a great room rate. We checked in without difficulty. The issue was the room. As soon as we checked into the room it was hot. I don't mean warm because the air was off. I mean sauna hot. Sticky & steamy! We turned on the air-conditioner and changed into our suits and went to the pool/hot tub. We got in the pool which was COLD with things floating in it. We sat in the hot tub for a few minutes and our skin started itching! We went back to the room for showers and the room was still warm. I was hopeful that it would cool down but unfortunately it did not. My husband called the front desk and was told that there were no rooms available for us to move. He went to the front desk and requested a fan. They provided a fan. It was a miserable night. The hours for breakfast were short and was 6-9 am. The breakfast sub-par even for Best Western! Upon checking out from the hotel we spoke to the staff about the room. She took some money off of the bill. I feel that the staff had to know it was hot in there because it was hot from the moment we walked in.

My wife and I were entirely satisfied with our accommodations at Best Western North East Inn on a recent trip to celebrate the seventieth anniversary of Sandy Cove. The service, value, sleep quality, cleanliness, location and room were much better than recent experiences at other hotels.

Amanda was super friendly, handled changing my hotel dates very quickly, love this hotel, would definitely recommend to everyone, they even have smoking rooms which was a plus... nice clean pool, breakfast was ok, not great... If you arrive late there is NO parking, need more parking for sure

Don't get me wrong, it's not a five-star hotel like the Four Seasons. But it is the best hotel in North East, Maryland. I know because I've been at the other hotels. This one costs slightly more than the others, but it's worth it. The staff was pleasant, helpful and efficient. I had a non-smoking kind bed room. I appreciated having a microwave and fridgerator in the room. The bathroom was clean and well lit. The bed was very comfortable and had lots of pillows. Breakfast was included. A variety of items were available such as sausage and eggs, waffles, cereal, muffins, bagels, toast, oatmeal, fruit and yogurt.

In town for a baseball tournament and found the Best Western North East MD a great choice. Rooms and hotel very clean and the staff was beyond helpful and friendly. Very convenient to I-95 and Rte. 40, near restaurants, shopping and nice small towns

We stay in this Best Western every time we drive from the Southeast to the Northeast. It is in a safe location, clean every time, the beds are comfortable, staff is friendly, and it is very convenient to I-95.

We started out with an excellent check in by the hostess who bent over backward to meet our wants. However it went backward from there. Even though the facilities are clean and fairly modern, I am not sure how this motel received 4 stars. To us it is a 3 star Hotel. We stayed in the luxury suite for the sole purpose of use of the whirlpool since my muscles benefit from the jets and water. When we first filled the tub the water was yellow with bugs that came out of the spigot. The jets would not work. Also the fan in the bathroom would not work. I was told by the manager it is a "Silent fan". I happen to work in construction and definitely know the difference between a quiet fan and one that does not work. I asked for our bill to be adjusted to the price of a regular room and have Triple AAA discounts. I was given the price of a regular room w/o the discounts. furthermore, upon checkout, the manager sent someone else out who never asked how our stay was. I would stay here again, but would definitely ask to examine the room before committing to it.

Hotel is in a quite neighborhood. Room is clean and so is rest of the facilities. Staff was helpful and competent. Breakfast was good except it ended bit early (9 AM). All in all, it was a good value for price.

Everything was wonderful about this hotel. The beds were comfy, the room was spotless, the AC worked and the staff was very friendly. I was concerned at first when we realized our room was near the elevator because we had our dogs with us. Our concerns were unfounded....never heard a thing all night and apparently the dogs didn't either! Definitely will stay here again if we are in the area!!

We stayed there one night on the way from Roanok to NYC. It was very pleasent. The bed was comfortable, a good breakfast ans a nice stuff. I recommend this hotel for those who want to rest off the road. Good value for your money!

I am very particular about where I stay and have stayed at this hotel on probably 6 or more occasions and have always found it to be extremely clean and the stall very friendly and helpful. In fact, when in the area, I won't stay anywhere else. Their breakfasts are very delicious, too. Not just donuts and coffee, but very substantial.

This best Western is just off I-95 exit 100. It is in North East, Maryland which if you have the time is a lovely waterfront town to visit. The accommodations were excellent and very pet friendly. No charge to have a pet stay with you. The breakfast is just OK and was missing items I expect at a Best Western.

This particular Best Western hosted my very large family for an out of state wedding. They went out of their way to make us comfortable. We arrived early and were quite tired. The woman at the front desk reached out to housekeeping so that we could check in early. Very accomodating.

The front desk help was very prompt and attentive and the breakfast attendant was very cordial and pleasant but the bed was extremely uncomfortable and the noise from the other guests kept us awake most of the night. We heard people taking a shower; and heard their conversations from the hallway and the parking lot.

Our room and bathroom was clean and comfortable. One of the reading lamps did not work, eh, so what. It wasn't a show-stopper. Off the lobby there was a small breakfast area. The selection was fair. The selection included: cold cereal , instant oatmeal, small blueberry and poppy seeded muffins, fruit: bananas, cold yogurt. Hot entrees were fried eggs (or maybe they were poached?) along with a tray of chipped beef in a cream sauce - I passed on that one. I opted for a waffle prepared on the two and half minute waffle machine served with an artificial maple syrup. If I was really motivated, I could have driven a mile to Denny's or into North East to a restaurant. But that would have cost me money!

Wife and I stayed for the night while returning from a trip up to New Jersey. Unfortunately we got here late just after 8:00pm and so we did not get to go enjoy the pool. However, the hotel as well as the room, bathroom were all very well taken care of. Breakfast I always enjoy as I'm just a sucker for the fresh waffles and the coffee was very good too. We would stay again especially since all the things above and a fair rate and easy access to the highway.

I stayed here for five nights for business. The staff was friendly and the hotel was nice and clean! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. If I had to return for more training, I would definitely want to come here. It's location is close to all the stores. I'm not a big fan of pets however some people actually had their pets with them.

The beds were very good, noise level, did not here any. not to far from places. Walmart just down the road, very good seafood place in town which only took you about 10 mins to get there. Pool was good, hot tub was good. Just off of I-95 so it is easy to get on and off of the highway.

The rooms are clean, quiet and comfortable. This hotel is close to the highway 95, a small shopping center with restaurant and liquor store. This is very convenient. We stop there on our way back or too Florida every year.

I visited the Best Western North East Inn on yet another business trip. I was a bit of a trick to find it at night, but once found, it was a gem. Secluded off the main highway by a large wooded area, it is very quiet and peaceful. The staff seems well accustomed to the standard tourist “where do I eat” questions, and even went on to list many “must visit” attractions. As a hotel, it boasts the standard room amenities most business travelers' desire. The breakfast was a bit above par for their price range, and I felt I could stay a few days without repeating a breakfast meal. The room was very clean, and comfortable and nicely appointed for the price point of the hotel. If I am ever to return to the area, I would definitely stay here again.

Overall nice stay, front desk kitchen attendant, parking. staff was excellent, room was excellent, price was unbeatable. I would recommend to friends and return for another stay. Breakfast was good, the food was fresh and hot.

Clean modern hotel with good amenities, will stay here when ever i am in the area, quiet, slept well, one negative was the check in clerk who appeared to be bothered when asked a question regarding food delivery.

Staff is very friendly and caring and provide excellent client service. The rooms are clean and the beds are very comfortable with nice bedding. The breakfast is good and nicely served. The only downside is that the furniture is showing wear and age - needs to be updated.

Quaint town to visit with unique shops and restaurants. Be sure to visit Woody's Crab Shack. They have some of the best crab cakes anywhere. Hotel staff highly recommended where to locate nice shops and Woody's, of course.

Clean, big, pool was warm. Inexpensive. I really liked that it was updated, nice sheets, the beds are in need of better mattress, but at least it's a modern room. Liked the resident cat.really great breakfast. Good tv.really great customer service. We were inn a several motels we paid much more for, this was by far more bang for our buc!

Enjoyed my stay in every way except for the comfort of the bed. The room was very clean and the staff was very helpful and considerate. Enjoyed the hot tub, although it looks like it could use some repairs and cleaning. Breakfast was nice, attentive staff.

Stayed one night on a road trip returning from Florida. Easy access to I-95 and very reasonably priced. Room was clean and comfortable. Hallways and common areas could use some housekeeping and the walls between rooms were a little thin, we could hear the neighbors talking. Overall good for a quick stop passing through, but I 'd probably look elsewhere if we stayed any length of time.

I'm always made to feel welcomed. This hotel is clean and located near great restaurants. Lot of fun things to do in the area. The pool area is clean and well supplied with towels. The breakfast bar is well supplied and Nelly is very nice.

We always stay at the North East Inn when in town. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Rooms are always clean, beds are comfy. Breakfast is quick and easy. Coffee is available 24/7. Perfect for us.

The Best Western in Northeast Maryland was not the best but the staff is extremely friendly and professional. I'm not sure I would recommend it but if you are not looking for a 5 star you will not be disappointed.

We asked for a quiet room and were given one on the top floor back corner. The room was very quiet. It was large and clean. The bed was comfortable and the internet worked well. The air conditioner was very quiet and this is often not the case. We stayed in 4 Best Western properties in the past week and this one was the best. Highly recommended.

My husband and I found this hotel to be wonderful. The staff was kind and helpful; The Lady that worked the breakfast was the BEST. We went to Hollywood casino a 10 minute drive. Also took an excursion to North East Main street and enjoyed a wonderful dinner and some nice small town shopping also another ten minutes away. The room was clean and comfortable and the free breakfast was a plus. Nice hotel for the price conveniently right off 95.

We use this as a stop off on trip from Florida to NY, especially in inclement weather. The location works, and we appreciate the pet hospitality and enjoy the indoor pool/hot tub and friendly treatment from the staff. There is ample opportunity for take-out food to be sent in. Rooms are fine.

Staff is very helpful and friendly. The property is clean, but the décor is showing age (looks tired). The towels are sticky from soap residue and irritated my skin which caused a rash. I enjoy the staff and location, but am disappointed that nothing changed after my previous complaint via surveey.

This hotel was very clean and affordable. After driving 9 hours straight from NC we wanted a shower and a bed and somewhere nice to lay down. This was the place. Staff was super friendly and got us checked in promptly!

We visited Maryland for a private function and stayed here for two nights. The room was very spacious and we had a nice view of the woods (we were facing the back of the building). The staff were very friendly and helpful. The amenities were sufficient and clean. The continental breakfast was hot and delicious. We would definitely stay here for our next visit and will recommend to our friends.

A very nice hotel in an excellent location. Area around hotel is pleasant but sparse. Easy to get to from freeway. Room and amenities are good. Desk clerk went out of her way to bring up a TV schedule. Lobby is very comfy with a fireplace and magazines/newspapers. No meat for breakfast, however, just chipped beef.

Drove for 11 hours when we finally decided to stop for the night. So glad we stayed here. Debbie was at the Front desk when we checked in and I had mentioned how I did something to my knee before we left home and now had trouble walking. She gave me the key to our room and when we came back with our luggage, she told me she changed our room. We didnt know why until we walked in to find she had given us a room with a handicap shower. Talk about excellent service! Debbie is an excellent example of what great customer service is to guests. The beds and pillows were so comfortable that we slept like babies. The rooms are done nicely and we found the morning staff to be just as warm and friendly. Thank you folks for a great place and service. We will recommend you to our family and friends.

We always book a room at the North East Best Western for Thanks Giving. My sister is allergic to my pets and needs a pet-free environment for sleeping. Pat is the manager and she and her staff are welcoming. They understand the value of friendly customer service. This time my sister was running late for check out... they didn't mind at all. It's the great staff that make the North East Best Western the best place to stay in our area.

The staff is always helpful, pleasant and professional.Pat, Vivien, Jen and Amanda make people feel welcome when they are making reservations by phone and throughout the process of checking into or out of the hotel. There is a nice little pantry that makes it very convenient to grab a snack. However, at breakfast time, Nellie makes sure there are plenty of fresh & satisfying breakfast items to choose from.

This motel had a beautiful looking indoor pool that looked quite inviting. Too bad we didn't bring bathing suits! They did a lovely job remodeling and our room was spacious and comfortable. The only drawback was some TV channels--including the one for Monday Night Football-- were NOT working. The morning staff was delightful, especially the gal in charge of the breakfast room!

I had an opportunity to spend 4 days/3 nights at this hotel. It was very conveniently located. Staff were VERY nice. Bed was so-so; pillows were uncomfortable. Room was fairly clean. Would I stay here again....yes.

Most remarkable thing was we had no complaints. Sometimes just being average is not a bad thing. Rooms were clean. Service was fine. Location is good. Right off of I95 but very quiet. We would have no reason to not stay again.

this hotel is clean, friendly and easy to get to from 95. I highly recommend. The lobby could use some updating (furniture should be replaced) but the rooms were excellent, especially for the price. I like the fact that there is a fridge as well.

The Best Western is a thoroughly average chain hotel in North East: The service is average, the rooms are averagely sized and equipped with average amenities, the location is average, the WiFi is average and the included breakfast is average. The room furniture is dated, but no different to other average American chain hotels. So, if everything is average, why is the review rating not average? Because the bed was dirty. The bed sheets have obviously not been exchanged after the last guest. They were wrinkly and there was some black sand-like dust on the bottom where the feet are. Dirty linen is disgusting and an absolute no-go, even in an average hotel. Unfortunately we only found out late at night, when we went to bed. There was no way that we would get dressed again at midnight to switch or get the room cleaned. So we slept in the dirty bed. Gross.

The staff was very kind and helpful. We had a large group and they directed us to various restaurants and/or shops to visit as well as a community park. I recommend eating at the Chef's Kitchen and/or Pat's Grill. Pat's delivers to the hotel which was very convenient after traveling a long way.

I stayed here for one evening (Room 108) last week because there were no other vacancies within the surrounding areas. The Pros: I received a very fair price, and the hotel was mostly clean and the staff was friendly. Parking was abundant, and the location was safe. I didn't use the amenities, but the pool and workout room seemed fine. The free wifi was also great. Cons: the biggest con was the noise level. The walls seemed paper-thin, and this isn't something that usually bothers me. But in this case, you can hear everything in the hallways and adjacent rooms. Water pressure: the shower water pressure was really, really, poor. Room: the room was mostly clean, and had updated furnishings. However, the curtains were very dusty, and the mattresses were probably the worst I have ever encountered. Again, not awful for a budget motel, but I would encourage everyone to keep this property on your list only if you have no better options nearby.

Located just off of I-95 so close town and the highway. Clean rooms, friendly staff and an adequate breakfast. NO immediate places to eat nearby so you have to travel into North East for most services. We thought the price was high for a AAA stay.

I stay here every time i'm in the area. the staff is very helpful and meet al my request to the best of their abilities which is top of the line. location is good and access to major interstate is easily accessed.

I stay here often on business. The hotel is comfortable and inviting. But the hallmark of this hotel is the caring and attentive staff. Everyone treats you like you are a member of their family. I never consider staying anywhere else.

The team is incredible - they provide a warm welcome, are helpful and do everything they can to be accommodating. The General Manager, Patricia, leads by example. Now add that to a clean and comfortable room. I had the most wonderful stay.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was pretty big with two queen beds and a pull out sofa bed. The breakfast was good. The downside is that the bathroom had no fan and thin walls. We could also hear people talking in the hall.
