"Cancelled booking"
Booking for July 2022 cancelled in February by Best Western with no explanation.Plans for that date now ruined as alternative hotels have seen a massive price increase due to the rugby tournament scheduled for that weekend.Best Western cashing in at the expense in of bookings previously made.Poor practice in my opinion and will avoid using in future
"Family visit"
Room was fantastic spotless clean fresh bed very modern great bed .Great servise from staff very very friendly would definitely love to come back again well done 100% recommend tv was very modern linked my tablet to it and great WiFi. If your looking for good quality food the restaurant will definitely be top of the list it was the best Indian restaurant by far
"Pros and cons but on the whole good!"
On arrival the hotel looks a little unkempt, but a lovely old building with plenty of free parking. Located about a 15-20 minute walk from the city centre, we enjoy a walk so not a problem, in fact much quieter than some of he city centre hotels. The Indian restaurant adjoined was busy and it's a shame we didn't have time to try it. The bed was an extremely comfortable super king, nice clean room with a window that fully opened for fresh air. Breakfast was a little disappointing as There's no pork sausage or bacon on the menu, a full English breakfast is usually a treat when stopping in a hotel, but turkey rashers and beef sausage just doesn't do it for me. However the other options were adequate, I had eggs benedict, and the following morning scrambled egg with smoked salmon which were both good. The surrounding area is a little run down, and I noted a few youths hanging out around the back of the hotel at 9am Sunday morning drinking vodka and smoking near the fire exit. All in all it was a pleasant stay, pleasant staff and comfortable clean room. Would return.
"Lovely stay"
Visited Newcastle for Great North Run and would definitely stay their again at sure best western. Room was lovely, the customer service was great and the staff where attentive. The meal we had at Indian restaurant that's is part of the hotel was delicious and was was very reasonable priced.
"Lovely clean and well run hotel"
Really nice, spacious hotel. Room was large and bathroom was huge too. Bed, lovely and comfy, staff very friendly and helpful too. Would stay here again no problems and would like to try the adjoining Indian restaurant.

I concur with other reviewers: clean, comfortable and convenient. Parking wasn't a problem; we left the car there after checking out, walked into the city centre and returned mid-afternoon (we asked about leaving it there first). Would definitely return. Indian restaurant looked good.
"Cheap & Cheerful"
My wife I spent a night at The Sure Hotel. Friendly staff, clean rooms and very well situated for easy access to the city centre. For the price we paid we found this hotel fantastic value I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Newcastle
"Best value for money"
Clean and comfortable, really convenient place to stay. Good breakfast, restaurant on site. Walking distance to city. Buses available to city. Staff are very nice. Free parking, plenty of places and safe too. Highly recommended
"Really good hotel"
We were originally staying for 4 nights, but enjoyed it so much stayed for an extra 5 nights. The hotel is situated up a hill about 20 mins walk from the town centre or a quick taxi ride. There is plenty of car parking spaces. There is small reception/bar area. Check in was easy and efficient. Our room was on the second floor overlooking the front of the hotel so there was some traffic noise, but we soon got used to it. The room and bathroom were nicely decorated and the bed was huge. Pillows were a little lumpy though. There is a safe within the wardrobe, although we were unable to change the number. Breakfast is in Luigikhan's which is the wonderful Punjabi restaurant attached to the hotel. There was a choice of cooked breakfasts and cereal, toast, yoghourts and fruit. Dinner was in Luigikhan's and you know that a restaurant is good when the locals use it. Again all the wait staff are very friendly. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel if you are visiting Newcastle.
"Excellent customer service"
Stayed here for two nights last month. Attached to Luigikhan's restaurant, there's a free car park and a 15 min walk into town. The room was clean and comfortable we particularly loved the massive black out curtains. The window of our room let in quite a bit of traffic noise with the hotel being at the side of a main road. Breakfast was also lovely and the manager even went out to the shop to get some soya milk for me and checked with the chef what food I could eat being lactose intolerant. Would recommend this hotel.

"Worth staying there"
I was there for two days! The best thing i found that the rooms and washroom are clean! They give importance to the customers in a great manner! Love the experience and i will definitely recommend staying there.

"Fab hotel"
Just spent a night at sure hotel this hotel is compact and modern with everything you needed for your stay. Five minute walk to city centre and just a little more to the quayside will definitely return and highly recommended

"Nice clean hotel, friendly staff"
Stayed here for 3 nights with Breakfast. Due to covid 19 there was no houskeeping for our room however if we asked at reception or called they brought towels ect to the room door. Staff were very friendly and whole hotel was very clean. Great big bed with great blackout curtians in room. Plenty tea and coffee in room also. Only a 15 minutes walk to main shopping area and quayside. Plenty free parking at hotel so that was a bonus for centre on Newcastle.

"Lovely, clean, comfortable hotel within a stone's throw of the city hub and free on-site parking...what's not to like?!"
The hotel was easy to find, had free on-site parking, v clean, comfortable, the staff were v friendly and willing to help and the hotel was in a great location, close to the city centre, plus the hotel was v reasonably priced. V happy and I'll consider this hotel first when we come back to Newcastle.

"Love stying here!"
This will be the second time I am staying at the hotel and dining in the fabulous restaurant and it most certainly won't be the last. From the ambiance, to the friendly staff, to the clean surroundings and the delicious food, I wouldn't go anywhere else. When you step into reception, you are welcomed with a warm and friendly smile, the rooms are always so clean and smell great! then the evening meal is outstanding at such a fair price! I have 3 courses for just over £15! (Popadoms, Byriani, Chocolate Fudge Cake and a drink!) A special thanks goes out to Archana who really looked after me, helped me choose my food and even brought it to my room. She really looks after all of the diners superbly. "Sound Stay"
Room was quiet as requested. All appliances work. Room was clean as was bathroom A little mould around sealant at shower tray. Room large. Bed very comfortable. Bedding very white and towels white and fluffy. Receptionists were very pleasant. Breakfast was disappointing. Limited self-service.

"GREAT VALUE AND IDEALLY SITED"
Very easy to find coming in from the west from the M6,its a straight road there Good parking facilities and an easy 15 minute walk downhill to the centre for bars and nightlife Spotlessly clean and very comfortable room. It was also quiet at night Breakfast was more than enough to get started for the day. If back in town again would certainly stay here again.

"Very good value"
I booked in for an overnight stay for work purposes. Given the price that I had paid for the night, I was pleasantly surprised. On arrival there was an ample sized car park. The young lady on reception was very polite and welcoming and got me checked in quickly, advising me that the hotel had a Punjabi restaurant on site. My room was a reasonable size with a modern style about it, as was the bathroom. I did have a quick look inside the Punjabi restaurant and it looked very smart and smelt wonderful. I had to be at a meeting in Newcastle very early the following morning so, as much as I wanted to sample the food, I decided not to. Breakfast was included in the price and is a small help yourself buffet which did me fine. I had seen a comment by another guest that mentioned the area where the hotel is located. I walked down into the city centre and can only think that the reference was to a couple of high rise apartment blocks close by, but it was fine and actually quite a pleasant walk. Check out the following morning was easy and carried out by a friendly chap. I enjoyed my stay and would definitely visit again if working in the area.
"Small but fantastic stay"
The rooms are small, but very clean and well maintained. The bathroom was tiny but had a decent sized shower but again very clean and well maintained. My only criticism is the towel rail is next to the toilet which seems a little unhygienic. The wifi is very good with no interruptions. The hotel is on a busy road but with no road noise at night.

"Bed and breakfast for 2 nights"
Pleasant mid priced hotel. I walked from the station. Wouldn't advise that with a heavy case as it is mostly up hill. Pleasant and helpful reception staff. There is an Indian restaurant next door which is affiliated with the hotel as we had breakfast there on the second morning.

"Good location "
Stayed 2 nights for rugby international at St James Park. Ideal location only 15 minute walk to stadium and further few minutes into town. Room spotless and lovely big bed. Breakfast basic but adequate. First night was lovely and quiet but second night was noisy. The door next to us was not soft closing - banging into the early hours. Not good. Also people talking loudly in car park under bedroom window until early hours. Not fault of hotel- just inconsiderate guests. Big free car park. All in all can recommend hotel. Newcastle is a lovely city to visit.

"Good hotel not that far from the city center"
Our room was spacious and had a very comfortable bed. Rare fact: the doors in the corridors use a mecanism that prevent them to slam, which is very appreciated when your room is next the lift. We could go to the city center on foot in approx 15 minutes, and the hotel has a large free parking. Too bad that the breakfast was of average quality (but had fresh fruits) and the window in our room didn't cut the noise from the street. Also the area around the hotel is not nice.

The windows in the main part of the hotel are only single glazed as a Grade II listed building and were not allowed to add secondary glazing. "A wonderful stay"
We arrived in the early hours of the morning with our toddler to visit my sick nan in hospital the gentleman on reception was very friendly. The following morning there was another lovely gentleman on the reception who entertained our toddler whilst we were downstairs in the seating area he was extremly patient and kind towards her and she loved the attention. It made a distressing time much better and nicer for us. Thank you so much

"An excellent location for visiting Newcastle"
The hotel was located a 10 minute walk from the city center. There were frequent buses stopping just 100 yards from the hotel. Our room was quiet,clean and comfortable, An added bonus was an excellent onsite Indian restaurant. I would certainly stay here again.

"One night stay"
We had stayed at this hotel a couple of years ago, it's since changed hands and for the better I would say. No complaints room was good (bit small but OK) clean, quiet and comfortable bed. We didn't have breakfast. We will return again.

"Newcastle Business"
Stayed in the Sure Best Western over three nights on a business trip 02nd - 04th July, Hotel was good, comfortable and very clean. Only aspect for me that would stop me using for anything other than a business trip would be the Breakfast experience, the presentation of the buffet and limited choice is something that could be improved on.

"Good quality hotel............"
Good sized rooms, quite, excellant breakfast, very clean and tidy.Lifts to all floors. You can walk into the centre but it is steep coming back up The must do of this hotel is go next door to the Indian restaurant, you will not taste better. The staff were very helpful and knew the city.

"Clean, spacious rooms, next to an excellent Punjabi restaurant"
First impressions, a large car park and we could see St. James' Park our venue for 2 European rugby matches, brilliant start!!! The staff in this hotel were all equally friendly and helpful, full of information and willing to chat, even though the hotel was busy. The room was spacious, as was the bathroom, with toiletries, which were replenished daily, and lovely, large soft towels. Can't fault anything about the hotel. It was within walking distance of the centre, the quay and the metro only drawback it was a bit of a uphill walk to get back! We found a shortcut to St. James' Park which managed to miss some of the uphill climb. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel whether you there for sport or a visit to what is a beautiful city, full of friendly people!

"Night away"
There were a lot of changes in staffing on reception, we were asked several times what room we wrre situated in! The breakfast was extremely poor, not worth £8.50 at all! One of the best nights sleep I've had in a while.

"Clean comfortable no convenient."
This hotel has free parking on site, is within easy walking distance to the city centre and has a bus stop right outside. It is clean and comfortable, the staff are very helpful. It also has an Indian restaurant attached although we hide not eat there so cannot comment. Breakfast is self service, and has plenty to choose from.

Came here on a business visit. Polite staff,clean tidy,spacious and quiet rooms. I visit this hotel once every 6 weeks and it doesn't fail to impress with its cleanliness and it's nice and polite staff members .. keep it up guys ..!

"Will always go back"
Always a great stay at this hotel perfect walking distance to main centre. great for us as we come for the footy easy to get to st james park. looking forward to our next stay, Was nice to see the rooms had been updated with new TVs too.

"Great value for money"
The reception staff are warm and friendly and full of local information on where the best drinking holes are. The accommodation is spotless. Beds are MASSIVE and each room has Netflix and prime access. The breakfast was a full English and as much as you can eat. Next door is the Luigikhan restaurant which I'll review separately. All in all a great hotel and if you're fit, not a long walk from the town centre

"Great visit"
The hotel is smart clean and functional. The attached restaurant is outstanding with authentic Indian cuisine cooked to perfection. Breakfast (bacon & sausage in particular) is a bit of a let down. I enjoyed my stay nevertheless.

"Great stay and location"
Booked as same price as a taxi home! Bargain to be had here guys, great location just a 10 minute walk to the town centre. Hotel had everything, was very clean and quiet. The adjoining restaurant was superb. Will be returning next time we have a night out in Newcastle, as for the money can't be beat. Thanks
