Best Western New Smyrna Beach Hotel & Suites

This place was awesome. The location right on the Atlantic was unbeatable. We had an oceanfront King Parlor room, #415, with 180 degree views. So many restaurants, grocery stores and convenience stores nearby, many within walking distances. Had a quaint little restaurant, a great fitness room, a great pool and ample well lit parking. At night it was so dark and quiet, so restful. The room was huge, immaculately clean, had a kitchenette and two separate, very long balconies facing the ocean. We rarely even saw other guests on our floor. And the staff here was amazing---April, Dana and especially Kaleigh, who had the patience of a saint with us when we used 11 BW Travel Cards to pay for our stay. Then when we checked out, we were told we had a $76 CREDIT!!! We also got a ton of points on our BW Rewards Account for our stay. What more could anyone ask? We will definitely come back here again, and use it every year for our Atlantic coast March getaway headquarters. A+++! We LOVE Best Western!

The hotel is in a great location! You're close to everything, food, shopping and the historic downtown area while being directly on the beach. It is an older building, and the age is definitely visible around the property, but it seems to be well-maintained. It was really nice to have a large fridge and microwave to keep our extra food costs down with snacks and light meals during the day. The pool towels are very small and thin. If you plan to swim or go to the beach you should definitely bring your own beach towels. There was plenty of parking available for the guests. We live local and my husband was able to come visit after work. We were worried about parking for him but there was a dirt lot next to the hotel and he was able to park there. After the beach closed to traffic, we had it all to ourselves. The area seemed mostly residential and there weren't a lot a people around. This was a great, affordable beach trip and we appreciated the getaway.

I needed to work while my wife and I visited family in Mew Smyrna Beach FL. I asked the desk clerk to show me the internet speed of his desk top computer. It was 1.4 GB per second. I assumed my room internet speed would be least 100MB per second. It was not. The room internet speed was 8 MB/ second . Not useable for business. I told the front desk. They were empathetic but nothing they could do. I was unpacked and only there for two nights so I bought a long USB cord with apple lightning connector to keep my phone charged, ran it to the deck and used my phone as a hot spot. Worked well enough and the suites have two separate rooms so I did not bother my wife when making calls. If 8Mb per second internet is okay for you/your family, the carpets and furniture is old and worn but the master bed was comfortable and the suite comes with a very nice mini kitchen. The Ocean front view is excellent and you can watch a rocket launch from Cape Canaveral (15 miles away) from the 7th floor deck. Pricing seems to be close to the Hampton Inn but you are on the beach. If not for the slow internet, I would stay here again. My wife loves beach views.

A very nice place to stay. Real nice clean suite. Comes with two beds in a seperate room, large bathroom and a very nice roomy kitchen living room area with the door leading to the balcony. Among the top places I've every stayed at.

This place was wonderful, great view; clean, location , restaurant on site, and some close by, grocery nearby if needed, nice swimming pool on site, and the ocean right out front if that was your thing

The room (king suite w/ocean view) was big and clean. The balcony view was great. We didn't use the pool but it looked nice as well. Great restaurant right across the street. We ate breakfast at the hotel and the food was good there too. The service was slow only because the server was completely on her own to seat, take orders, fill coffees, run food, bus tables and check out customers. At one point she had about 15 tables, she could have been grumpy or frustrated but she wasn't she was nothing but polite and friendly and did her best. The bed was also extremely comfortable and provided a great nights sleep!

The location and the views from this hotel are outstanding. Easy access to some restaurants and shopping. Just a 2 minute walk to the beach. Staff was friendly and the rooms were spacious. Overall a bit pricey -$20 Resort fee is and no breakfast included.

The staff was amazing. They got our group in under the wire and were extremely patient with cold and hungry senior citizens. Everything was clean, views from the balcony and the restaurant were amazing and there are several dining choices within walking distance. Will be back for a more leisurely stay!

The rooms were pretty great and very clean. Size of the room was very nice. Beds were a little bit small but comfortable. The view to the beach was beautiful and perfect. Balcony was a good size also.

Fecal later on sheets from previous guest. Rude night check in agent. Refusal for guest to use lobby restroom. Room booked not room issued. Additional blankets and sheets not available. Room obviously was not cleaned by maid with dirty sheets in each bed

The hotel is tired and the rooms smell musty. You have to request that your room be cleaned. Ours wasn't. We will never come back regardless of beach views. We relied on the good reviews when we booked.

Pool access not very easy to get to. No towels for pool. Asked to have my bed sheets freshened up and carpet vacuumed. Not done. We were there for a week. The couch smelled like urine. Sink drained very slowly and leaked, a maintenance guy came to fix leak. Couldn't find any leak.

The place has gone from mediocre to bad. We had a family reunion here 2 years ago and all 9 siblings agreed it should be down graded from BW to "MW" beach hotel and suites back then. The Mediocre Western was the joke at the time. We reunited again here this year, for the last time. We will follow the advice and Stay somewhere else. Things have gotten much worse. There are safety ,health, veracity, and convenience issues aplenty at the Worst Western Beach Hotel and Suites'Resort" and some good too. SAFETY: The staiwell nearest the ocean is hazardous. The windowless steel slab doors of your emergency FIRE EXIT are rusted , the hinges, hardware and frames are decayed and twisted. Some require excessive force to operate, my wife could not open them easily, while other slam shut with the force of the ocean breeze behind them, be very careful with those ones. This is also very noisy if your room is anywhwere near when the door booms like a cannon eveytime it is used. The electric lock to our room was finnicky. Sometimes the card worked, sometimes it did not fully disengage the lock. It always worked manually from the inside. You have go through an active parking or the rusty staiwell and a maze to get to the swimming pool. you must be nimble, doing so with children presents another set of challenges. The deck around the pool is an old wooden affair. Parts of it are mushy,parts of it are uneven and sunken, parts have loose boards that move when you step on them, there are screwheads sticking up and there you are barefoot! There is no canopy not even a single umbrella at the pool. Its Florida the sunshine state and sometimes its neccesary to just get out of the direct rays. There is no provision for that at this alleged resort. The building is not secure at night. I could gain entry, unobserved, without a guest card. I will not detail how to do it here , but trust me I did it. HEALTH: My family rented 6 rooms for a week. In one the air conditioner condensate soaked the carpet. They got a different room. In one the air conditioner wasnt cooling. In another the toilet would not evacuate the waste completely, It was several times a plumber was dipatched before the issue resolved. In my room the toilet moved everytime you sat down and evetually began to weep water at the floor base after every use. Our tub had a very slow drain so you would be standing in an inches deep puddle of dirty soapy water by showers end. There are no restrooms adjacent to the pool area. The nearest is up two flights of stairs through the rusted door stairwell to a general use restroom and if you dont have your room card you cant get to it. Or you can go in your wet clothes through the parking lot, into the lobby, up the elevator, down the hall, to your room, dripping all the way. Or maybe.... just jump into the pool. A couple of members of our party experienced mysterious respiratory ailments during our stay at the WW"Resort". Hard to pin down the cause but it was a very curious coincidence. VERACITY : The "Parking Fee" was rebranded to a "Resort Fee" when one sister said she did not drive there. The "Resort Fee" was a surprise to others in our party sprung on them at registration time not at reservation time. When inquiries were made a slew of varying explanations and excuses were presented to several members of our party. It was always someone elses fault, the reservationist, the website, Priceline,corporate, or finally the guest of the Worst Western "Resort" themselves for not asking about surpise fees. No adjustments were made. Guests also did not routinenly ask if this ocean front hotel had direct access to the ocean. The WW is unique in this respect. and yet somehow fails to mention it. Apparently an in depth interrogation of the reservationist is expected of each potential guest. Although WW"Resort "is oceanfront there is no direct access to the beach. Once again the stories of this inconvenience varied. The WW "resort" management claimed that the turtle nesting season and the goverment kept them from repairing their stairs /ramp. Apparently every other building on New Smyrna Beach somehow skirted this problem and there were new stairways and ramps at each and every one of them, some were being built the week we were there. CONVENIENCE: The lack of direct beach access requires the guest of the WW "Resort' to walk and carry all of their beach gear two blocks parallel to the beach on a sand and shell road to use the brand new ramps at public access points. Upon return there are no provisions for removing the sand so... through the parking lot, into the lobby, up the elevator,down the hall and into your room. This explains the damp gritty carpet situation, and the slow bathtub drains. There is another option. If someone can not make that trek on the unstable surface. That is to load up your vehicle and pay the $20.00 per day to drive onto the beach at the public ramp. Other convenience items include the ability to request resort amenities like toilet paper, garbage bags, and disposable cups in person at the front desk. No one in our party got anything they requested from the hospitality workers, they got a nod and an OK , but no towels, bedding , shampoo or the first sheet of toilet paper. At the WW towels for use at the pool were not at the pool. They too were metered out at the front desk, but only if you knew you had to ask for them there. So ... back through the parking lot, through the lobby, possibly dripping wet, to the registration and resort amenities dispensing desk, hoping someone was there, and the line was not long and they had towels. THE GOOD PART: The Ocean

No way to get to the beach from this hotel. It was advertised as a beachfront hotel and no mention was made that you can't go to the beach from this hotel. We had to walk way down the street to a public access point. We were charged $20 more than the original price we agreed to. The coffee maker leaked all over the counter.

The hotel was situated perfectly for where we needed to go and the view from the balcony was spectacular. The room itself however was very disappointing. The couch without a doubt needs to be replaced in the room, as the cushions sink down into the pullout section so that they are even with the frame. When we arrived, there was a half eaten sandwich in one trash can, an empty soda can in another and packaged food and melatonin left in the food cabinet next to the refrigerator. Air vent was dirty and room very musty. Had to call for fresh towels-the second day but they were brought up immediately and the guy was very pleasant. Although our stay did not afford us time to visit the beach, I understand at this time, because of last years hurricane you cannot access the beach from hotel property. I did do the hotel survey pointing out all of the issues we encountered and received a generic reply from management.

I've stayed at Best Western three times in the past year. Once in Tennessee and the room was beyond disgustingly filthy toilet did not work correctly. There were ants in the bathroom. There was a discarded sock and hair tie on the rug which smelt terrible as well as a hallway carpeting. The one in new Smyrna Beach was ocean front thought it would be beautiful. Beach access was demolished and you had to walk to public access. Room was OK. But safe didn't function and the patio door to the balcony didn't lock even though that wasn't in joining balcony that really Was concerning as far as safety went. Staff really didn't seem too interested in the problems.

I'm hoping that this will help other travelers in choosing not to stay at this hotel. I came here with my dog to have a short 3-night getaway and relax. I must say, the location is great and very convenient. However, what completely ruined my stay was not being able to take a shower. As a travel professional myself, I know that things can come up during a stay and it's hard to have everything match your expectations, however, being able to take care of basic hygiene and take a shower after a long day in the Florida sun is essential and the most basic service any hotel should offer. It would literally take 5 seconds to see the water wasn't draining out of the tub and start to pool. The first time this happened while I was in the shower, I was literally standing in a pool of filthy water. Nobody came to my room even after I told the front desk 3 times about this issue, the only thing they did was give me a plunger, which only made things worse because it just "stirred up" all the human filth that had been piling in the drain for only God knows how long. I was met by a very rude Manager the morning I checked out, who simply gave me her card (her name is Dana) and told me to give her a ring so I could get a discount on my next stay. My NEXT STAY??? I don't think I'll ever come here again!! I asked for a refund and she said to contact Hotels.com, which I did, several times, and they finally told me that the Manager refused to issue a refund. So here I am writing this review. Thank God I was there by myself, I cannot imagine coming here with kids and not being able to wash them.

We only stayed one night but we were able to get in a little sooner than our arrival time. We were accommodated with going to the pool and relaxing without noise and cars from the beach interfering with our time. Parked down under in the garage and kept our car from getting sandy. Loved all the people there so friendly and very helpful. Had a great stay, would recommend you to anyone.

This is an older hotel, but the room was very clean, everything was functional, and it had a balcony with a lovely view of the beach. Due to storm damage, you have to walk 50 yards down to enter the beach but that is not a big deal and does not impact your access to the beach at all. I did not park a vehicle ($20/day is incredibly steep in my book) . A grocery store is a short 5-6 minute walk as are an array of restaurants. Great 'home base' for a stay at the beach! Tip: If you want good coffee, you may want to bring your own pot, and only negative I can offer is the air-conditioning unit was very noisy on the balcony when it kicked in, drowning out the sound of the waves.

Most of the staff were very rude and very impatient. There wasn't beach access from the hotel. Which we were not made aware of until we got ther. Prices were double that what we paid the last few years we've stayed and they upcharged the resort fee. There's no resort. It's a small pool and no beach access. Very disappointing because the other times we stayed it was much better.

We have been visiting this hotel for many years and I will NEVER rebook any future vacations here! The hotel staff were very inappropriate. Gail and Bob at the front desk caused our vacation to be the worst. Around 5pm, Gail took it upon herself to enter our room and threatened our kids ages 18, 16 and 15 years old that there is too much noise from the room. She told the kids this was their first and last warning and she is calling the police to have them removed from the property. She continued to curse at the kids during this time and tell them they are too young to not have an adult in the room. My husband and I were in the pool. I never received a phone call from Gail to inquire of this noise complaint. However, she did have our hotel keys disabled so that we could not return into the room. This is not acceptable! Next, I returned to the desk FOUR times to have the keys reprogrammed! The next time I went to the lobby the man behind the desk, Bob, was not any where to be found until he came inside from smoking a cigarette and complaining about his job and the vacationers. The resort fee is another issue. I understand resort fees but we had no resort amenities. We did not even have beach access unless we walked down the road. Although not too far, this was a HUGE unexpected inconvenience for our grandfather that could not manage the walk. One of those Florida thunderstorms came into the areas very fast and we ran from the beach and into the parking garage. As the storm continued, we were told that we could not stand in the parking garage area. The electricity was out from inside the hotel as well. The staff told us it will be back on shortly. I have never had such a horrible experience. Other friends and family that we were with have the same experiences plus many more but these were my experiences.

We have stayed here many times in the past decade and it has been fine. When checking checking in with Jacob at the front desk we were informed there was no beach access and we'd need to walk several blocks with our gear to the beach. This was not found on hotel website. When I questioned the “resort fee” because of no beach access Jacob became surly and rude. This type of behavior did not stop here, both Gail and Bob who also worked at the front desk were downright rude to my 17 year old daughter and niece who was also staying with her family at the “resort”. At one point Bob would not allow them out of the elevator, yes reread that….would not allow them to leave the elevator and told them to go back to their room. What is wrong with the staff here? The rooms were dirty, the towels and toilet paper were never restocked and you had to go looking for someone to give you more. It was like pulling teeth to get the normal needed items at this motel. The rooms had mold and mildew. Our door did not properly shut. Management and ownership must be doing something terribly wrong here. Save your $ and please stay down the road at Springhill Suites.

Family trip view from the balcony was beautiful. Room was ok but pictures failed to show all details. On day 3 of our 7 day stay we return to find the biggest roach ever in the room. We immediately shook out our luggage and put it back in the mini van Later we saw even bigger ones near the door closest to the trash and the lower level of the garage. No free breakfast just a restaurant onsite.

They charged over $350.00 per night for the room and when returned to our room in the evening the bed had not been made up and there were no fresh towels. There were black mold spots in several places around the tub. The bed frame stuck out an inch or two on both sides of the bed creating a hazard. The door did not close and lock automatically, you had to pull it closed.

The Best Western was really quite nice for this vacation trip. It is a great location on the beach and well located to very good restaurants. Rooms afford a great beach view and nice balcony. Clean and well equipped - refrigerator, microwave, small kitchen sink, etc.

Room was huge & clean. Big kitchen area. Comfy beds. Balcony view was spectacular. Staff was courteous and super friendly & helpful. The restaurant on site was a great bonus! Location was perfect. I'd totally stay here again, as would any member of my party. We've even talked about staying here again if we planned another trip to this area.

Very pleasant experience, even though they had damage from hurricane Ian. Restaurant breakfast was delicious even under not perfect conditions, staff was most helpful and pleasant, room was large, clean, ocean view.

This is quite possibly the worst hotel stay we have ever experienced. The only thing good was the view! There was no water/toilets from 9am - 3pm for two days of our stay. If you used the toilet, urine and or feces sat in the toilet bowl until the water was turned back on! Would not flush! This was disgusting and unsanitary!! There was no maid/cleaning services due to staff shortage. The wifi went out on the second day of our stay. One of the two elevators was broken on the morning of our departure. The bathroom wall was moldy/dirty There was no drain in the bathtub, so a bath was not possible. Even the blow dryer was broken. The window blinds/slats were all bent and uneven. They also were not functional for opening and closing, hence, disrupting our view of the ocean. The A/C was barely working and was draining on the balcony in the sitting room. The pillows were like laying on a small cotton ball. The sheets and comforter were super thin and worn. We quite honestly were worried about bed bugs! Thankfully that was not an issue. We paid a $20 per night resort fee. This was no resort!! There was no restaurant/tiki bar. Nowhere to get food or a drink by the pool. There was no rental service for beach chairs or umbrellas. How are guests from out of town supposed to lie on the beach with no equipment available?? The website did not portray the hotel as it truly is. Old and outdated and in serious need of refurbishing. We paid $1400 for two rooms for three nights. We could have had a full two bedroom condo with full kitchen, jacuzzi bathtub, resort pool with restaurant and bar at the Hilton Grand Vacation Resort for the same price! This hotel is sitting on a gold mine of property and has the potential with serious upgrading to be a beautiful resort. Right now it is just a dive with a great view.

This is a great little beachfront hotel. I stayed here with my two oldest granddaughters 14 and 17 and we loved the fact that especially it had two bedrooms. They don't want to sleep in the same room with Mimi that snores. We pretty much didn't expect much from the staff but that was on us we went and got our own towels took out our own garbage and we had no problem doing that. The People at the front desk were just so nice. We will definitely stay here again. We felt safe and secure inside this hotel. The hotel is located directly on the Atlantic Ocean for quick and easy access. We will definitely come again.

Friendly staff. Large, clean, ocean view/front suites that feel more like a condo. After the beach, enjoyed sitting on the balcony, watching the waves,with a cool drink. Plenty places to gather around pool if you're with a group. Didn't try restaurant.

There were roaches in the bathroom. The toaster burned up when plugged in. The drains in the bathtubs and sink were very slow to drain. Nice to have plates and silverware. New paint job inside and out is nice.

Loved the ocean view king suite. Reasonably priced and perfect for a several night stay. Full sized refrigerator and microwave, coffee maker and toaster in kitchenette. Beach access is right at hotel and parking is free. Hotel is very close to restaurants and stores.

Great ocean view. Extreme stinginess with towels and washcloths. Had to ask multiple times before we could get new bathroom towels ( never did get washcloths). Towels are not provided for pool or beach.

Excellent service an view would definitely recommend this hotel to all my family an friends I've always thought of best western hotel as a just passing though kinda hostel, however my stay here In New Symerna was absolutely amazing

Rooms are clean and nicely equipped. Friendly staff, cute restaurant (breakfast and lunch only). Great area. Fantastic restaurants with Canal Street and Riverfront just a few minutes away. Perfect stay every time. We look forward to our next visit! Come for the beautiful views!

The smoke alarm went off all night and no one came to change it out until the next morning. When calling them to request a change of batteries, they were only concerned if we had smoke in the room. No one ever told me it would be the next morning before it was changed, nor offered a new room. We had to listen to beeping every 5 minutes throughout the night. I will never stay with Best Western again.

We loved our stay especially for the location but also thought it was the best Best Western we have stayed at overall. The room was perfect for our needs, especially the full size refrigerator & the bed was very comfortable!

We have been coming here as loyal guests & always choose to stay here at The Best Western. Have done about 7 times over the 30 years when we can get to florida & NSB We messaged ahead asking for a high floor & as near to the ocen . Our first room 510 was going to be great we thought, untill we opened the door. We have ALWAYS used the sofa bed in the 2 bedroom unit . As 4 grown adults we need to ! The sofa bed had seen better days & when we pulled it out the mattress wouldn't have supported a child. The maintenance guy tried to help by putting some plastic ties on. A rollaway was then provided ( the manager said he wouldn't charge us the S10 ! I think not after the money we've saved this place with no present housekeeping !!) Then when we saw the stained carpet by one of the beds we was close to checking out. After a family meeting & a chat with a very helpful lady at the desk, we could change rooms in the morning . So we changed the following afternoon & got a room on the 8th floor. The sofa bed was better & we all agreed unlike the previous one, we would actually sit on it . I understand the sofa beds are being phased out so any one else who relys on this be aware not all rooms have them. I understand this hotel has been taken over by a new company & I really hope they bring it back up to the previous standards as they so have dropped. Now the pool; pool guy came every morning on the 5 days we stayed to clean the pool. Unfortunately there was no cleaning & tidying around it . Rubbish layed there for 3 days ( yea I don't get it either, there's a dustbin available for guests to use, put your empty cans & water bottles in there! ) Out of 10 lay out sunbeds 3 were broken . No one came to re arrange or tidy after the day before. Once we saw the area being hosed down & then the rubbish was removed ( that was after 3 days) People from the beach continue to use the showers & the pool ( facilities we have paid for) We come here for the relaxing part of our holiday. We love to hear the sound of the sea , but unfortunately for us some love to have their music round the pool, so we have little choice than to listen to it or move to the beach. A tad selfish of some as their choice may not be to others !! Plenty of ear pods available these days !!! There were no pool towels on this visit but we were given bathroom to use . No toilet now on the ground floor ( they've made that for staff only) so it's a trip up to the 2nd floor if you need to . I really hate to come over as a really moaney person , but I've left feeling sad for this stay but excited to think of the changes that may be made in the future of this place. We've spent so much time here over the years & I leave with mixed emotions. The beach is gorgeous & we all have many Happy memories spent here.

After a long day of traveling this Best Western was just what we needed! Beautiful hotel, wonderful, caring staff, great amenities, delicious food in the restaurant. Overall just a wonderful experience. We will definitely be back!

Mold smell in room and dirty chairs on balcony. Have stayed here before and had a pleasant stay, but this last time was not a good experience. Friendly staff but not terribly helpful. Not sure I would stay again.

Hotel staff is rude. Hotel and restaurant are very dated. Pool is very underwhelming. Great views though, and comfy beds. Restaurant was mediocre but the servers were very nice. Convenient to shopping and restaurants.

This was a last minute booking to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Absolutely awesome!! Room is immaculate & well appointed. Reasonable rate. Staff members so helpful & hospitable. Convenient to everything & the Atlantic Ocean right outside our balcony!!!

My stay at the Best Western New Smyrna was an enjoyable one. The staff is friendly. The rooms are clean. The view is spectacular from the room. Convenient and affordable restaurant on the premises. Easy access to local restaurants and stores. This was my 5th visit here.

My wife and I have been members of your hotel for years and stay at the New Smyrna location yearly. During our last visit on 7/22-7/26 we had a terrible experience. To summarize the sequence of events: Upon check into our room, the bath tub and sink were clogged, the safe was not working. Next day on July 23rd, when we came back from the beach around 5pm we saw that no one had come to clean the room, replace towels, take out trash, etc. I called the front desk and was transferred to a manager who after listening to my complain about not getting room service (which we paid for) threatened to call the police on me and hung up the phone. I went downstairs to speak with this manager in person. With a raised tone she began to tell me that I am not allowed to talk to her employees, that its too late to ask for room service, and that I should have requested room service each morning. She also told me that I must have been “too excited” during check in that I wasn't listening to what I should have done to receive room service each day. This whole time no one ever said a simple sorry, instead threatened to call the police on me. After I asked for her card she told me she doesn't have one. Following day on Sunday again no room service and was told too many check outs so won't be getting any. No clean towels and the room hadn't been cleaned a single time during our stay. We were charged $386 for a room charge and not a single cleaning was done. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get the name of this “amazing customer service” so called manager lady with tattoos who worked that day but wanted to bring to your attention the disregard for professionalism at your hotel to loyal members of the hotel that choose to stay there each year. Frankly that won't be happening anymore. This was worst customer experience I have ever received. This didn't feel welcoming at all - the negative attitude and constant blaming on the customer for whatever was not done by your staff is despicable. I will also be posting my experience to all your social media as I feel like other “members” of this hotel should be aware.

Booked another hotel in New Smyrna for a week and stayed one night, called the Best Western and got a room for that week. What a great place it was to stay at, great view of the ocean, separate bedroom, little kitchen, balcony, spacious bathroom and right on the beach! Already booked our next trip.

Total rip off. No room cleaning, no clean towels. This hotel does absolutely nothing in the way of service or amenities. We had to take out our own trash and go to the desk and beg for clean towels. No free breakfast and then they tacked on a hidden $20.00 a day resort fee. What a slap in the face. Avoid this hotel at all costs.

Absolutely great experience! Nicest staff I have ever had. Every staff member smiles and says high and ask if you need anything. Great room, great rate, and very accommodating. We decided to even stay another night and they hooked us up smoothly. I grew up in NSB and come down a few times a year. This is my new place to stay.

We stayed the weekend before 4th of July. The rooms are very spacious and perfect for larger families so you can space out. The restaurant being available is such a bonus so you don't have to head out. It's also located to a lot of great places but the beach is just beautiful as well.

BW is my go to beach hotel. I liked that I was able to get a 2 BR suite. Only wish the balcony was bigger. Breakfast in on site restaurant was very good and view was the best. Also there is a seafood restaurant within a short walk of hotel so I was able to pick up dinner and bring it back to the room.

Absolutely loved this hotel. The people were so nice and friendly. It's nothing fancy but the rooms have lots of space. Great beach access! A great view of the ocean. I would definitely recommend to anyone who has a family.

Not an ocean view room! We paid for ocean view and we got parking lot view! We booked the room online for 3 nights, left the second day. It was smelly, old and unpleasant hotel! Uncomfortable beds, terrible smell in the lobby and rooms. No showers working at the pool area, not sanitary at all! We brought up all this issue to the representatives downstairs and called the customer service and not even an apology! They didn't care! Money waisted! We will never go back at this location.

Lobby reeked of cigarette smoke, employee said smoking area outside. Should be moved if this is a smoke free hotel. And beware of $20 parking fee. There's free public parking near the hotel, why charge $20 to park, and you can't book a room without the extra $20. Great views, clean room with typical beach mildew smell.

Booked a room (small suite) that had two separate bedrooms. Two beds in one room, and another bed in the other room. There was a kitchen area with real silverware and plates, a full size fridge, microwave, and small coffee maker. The small living area had a fold out sofa as well, so you could easily sleep 7 people in this room. Room had a nice patio with a view of the ocean. Everything was clean. Beds were comfortable. No complaints at all. Would stay again!

This BW is centrally located on a wonderful beach in a relaxed, laid-back town, has a pool, restaurant and many other stores/restaurants nearby. Every room has a beach view. The service is INCREDIBLE: the staff has an upbeat, positive, genuine attitude concerning the quality of your stay. We have stayed here several times and ALWAYS enjoyed it. We're looking forward to our next holiday here...

We went for a weeks stay. Was given a nice room on 7th floor, with a beautiful view of the ocean. Nice little kitchen, microwave and refrigerator (full size) . Dishes and silverware. We were advised that housekeeping would not be everyday, which is not a problem for us. Housekeepers were very accommodating. Had a problem with bathtub, called down and it was addressed immediately. Worker was very polite. In walking distance to a lot restaurants. Small mall across the street, with a Publix, ice cream shop, a diner(very nice). Bagel shop, Mexican and seafood restaurant across the street(all very good). Had a pool, but did have chance to get in. There is a very nice deck, facing ocean with Adirondack chairs. Overall very nice vacation, would definitely return.

Overall, it was very good. Our suite was great with a beautiful view of the ocean. We will come back. Also, the restaurants nearby were verry good and most of what you might need was close by as well. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We had the two queen bed room with ocean view. There was plenty of room in the suite with the room separated from the living rm and kitchenet. The grounds were clean and the staff was very friendly. Highly recommend for your beach stay.

I was never told when I checked in that I would have to pay an over night parking fee. I have been coming to New Smyrna Beach for 35 years. I have stayed in hotels, condos and houses. I have never once been asked to pay a "parking" fee. This was asked for as I was checking out, when they already had my credit card info. If I am staying there of course, I would be parking there! I guess they don't want my business. This procedure was very sneaky! If you cannot be upfront with your fees, then I don't want to deal with you. It's sad. Honesty is the best policy!

We are locals to the New Smyrna Beach area, we live 20 minutes away so we are very familiar with the area. This hotel is in the perfect location, walking distance to many great restaurants, the property was recently re done and is clean, the pool area is nice and clean and the rooms were clean. The staff was friendly and helpful, the beach is right out you back door and easily accessed. The price was very fair for the suite style room we got and the property. This is the perfect spot to get away with the family for a beach trip. Would stay again for sure, and being a local I would say again perfect location!

Staff was very helpful & friendly! The rooms were clean & very roomy, the full size refrigerator was a nice surprise! Every one of the staff was willing to help point you in the right direction for what you wanted to do. We were really impressed!

Verbally abused by security staff, treated like thieves with price list of articles suggesting we would steal things. Blinds broken in room and no curtains. Pool tiny, probably big enough for 12 people

They try to slap you with a resort fee of $20 per day. The "Resort" didn't even have an open restaurant the day we checked in. Old. Outdated. Very weathered. This is hardly a resort, more of an old mom and popper highrise. Warning handwritten signs from 2021 regarding building pressure washing still up on the walls. Mgt is obviously nowhere.

We have spent several nights at this hotel over the years....the staff used to be so amazing, I would say they should work at Disney. This trip, there was a huge difference in the level of customer service. In addition, the room had an air conditioner that was not functional, the water pressure would drop during the first few minutes of showering and it was almost impossible to have our room cleaned. I am not sure if management has changed, but the overall experience has left us looking at other places for our next trip. The best part of this hotel is the location...

Great location to restaurants and a Publix. This hotel is right on the beach. There are options to choose hanging out on the sun deck facing the beach, the pool, or take the stairs to the beach. The room was clean, non-smoking and the bed was very comfortable (we had a King bed). Great ocean views as well. Our room had an apartment sized fridge with a freezer a microwave and kitchen sink. We will be going back to this location for sure.

For this place to be under restoration it was very clean. There are a few details that I like to see change but overall we were very pleased with our outcome of choosing this hotel. Great location and walking distance to so many shops and restaurants.

room not cleaned nor towels replenished, didnt know we had to ask for room to be cleaned. had to ask for toilet paper and towels. Stayed 4 nights, never cleaned room once. carpet was very wet and smelly, should update to wood or tile.

The hotel staff and stay were wonderful. Was hoping the rooms would have been updated since my last stay 6 years ago. My only complaint was the furniture that we sat on had a very damp feeling to them.

Clean Safe property, all the amenities, beach front, Restaurants on property and within walking distance. Staff at front desk, housekeeping and food service all top notch. Beach rentals on beach, nice pool area, nice parking setup. All around great facility.

Ocean view room, which was nice. Room was a little damp, but that's what you get on the beach in an older hotel. Room was clean with good air conditioning. Restaurant was fine for breakfast. There are plenty of restaurants in the area that are better. No room service and you had to get your own towels from the desk. I would like to see room service or at least fresh towels every other day. Room had a refrigerator , microwave, and sink. Pretty handy! Overall, I would rate it good. Shower pressure was very good and king bed was comfortable.

BED BUGS was told by managers assistant that they checked and found none however my wife had bites all over her shoulder no one there cared much called three time before some one called back to say they checked room and found no problems

Be sure to take screenshots of your reservation confirmation rates. They can change your rate without notice! Also be aware of a $20 per night Parking/Resort Fee that has recently been added that you don't know about until check out. I have been staying at this hotel for 20 years with no problems. Won't be back again after being charged almost $400 more than expected!

Very comfortable rooms, nice balcony, comfortable beds! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The place was quiet even during Spring Break! Enjoyed the ocean view! I would absolutely stay here again.

This hotel is fantastic, the parking (not so much). They are still doing some exterior painting, etc., but this did not take away from the clean and comfortable rooms with wonderful views of NSB. The parking can be difficult as some of the lower level space were blocked off due to the contractors materials or those areas where they wanted cars to avoid getting paint splattered on them. Service was great, beach access was perfect and the rooms were clean and comfortable.

Staff was very nice. Hotel was clean and rooms were beautiful! I highly recommend if you want a great place to stay in on the beach book with Best Western. I didn't know the area too well but viewed this online first and was very pleased

The overall experience was great. Loved the view overlooking Ocean. The Beds were comfortable and the rooms very clean. The staff was very friendly which means a great deal to us on stays. The bathroom was clean and well stocked with towels and supplies.

Very expensive room when I could have stayed in Daytona for 1/2 the price. Didn't appreciate expecting to sit on the balcony in the morning and look at the ocean but instead greeted by two men on my balcony painting. No blinds on the door so when I walked in the room with night clothes on, there they were looking in. Called front desk and was offered some breakfast coupons. Unexceptable.

Right next to beach, nice area restaurants, great staff, great breakfast and breakfast staff (not included with room) very clean room and great view of ocean. Will be staying again during 2023 Daytona 500 weekend. Of course, you pay a premium during the race weekend.

Hubby and I stayed here for 12 nites on our way to key west and to visit with friends. We were pleasantly surprised how nice the place is after reading some of the reviews. Check in was simple I got the requests I asked for. We have a room on the 8th floor ocean view. Wonderful view and another surprise usually ocean view is a peak at the ocean. This is almost ocean front. Rooms are clean and spacious Bedroom is separate from living area. Beds are very comfortable bathroom a nice size ..living area with kitchenette roomy was surprised it was equipped with plates cups silverware (did bring my own but didn't need) sitting area is comfortable. Balcony is a good size with 2 chairs..door going out is heavy and a bit hard to open but can live with that. ALL staff members are very friendly and helpful. Cleaning staff did a excellent job cleaning our room Yes they were updating the outside but we had no issues. Pool area is nice and beach is right there .. didn't use the restaurant. My only complaint is the weather it was cloudy and windy a lot but that's not the hotel's fault lol. We will definitely be back next year and highly recommend this hotel . Kudos to John and Gail

They claimed they where "under construction" which was NOT brought to my attention when I booked the room. I guess they hired someones creepy uncle to re do the rooms. Our room we booked was TERRIBLE we paid extra too have a balcony and ocean view. Our balcony was so small and so gross. On day 2 of our stay they had the balconies power washed. The company they hired started on the bottom floor and went up. Our balcony was slimy and covered in crud. Our room was only half finished and smelt awful like a basement. I was hit with over $100 in hidden fees, I paid almost $1000 for 4 nights and our stay was AWFUL the manager was so rude, infact when I was in line to check out he got a HUGE attitude when I informed the guest in front of me that they charge you $20/day to park and she DIDNT EVEN HAVE A CAR HE JUST WAS MAKING HER FILL OUT THE PAPERWORK he got very nasty with me. When I booked it said "BREAKFAST INCLUDED" AND THEY GAVE ME 2 $10 VOUCHERS TO USE FOR A FAMILY OF 4 I still had to pay $40 the only morning we actually ate there. And the food was pretty bland for what I paid. Our balcony door didn't close unless you pulled it and locked it. We literally only had a ceiling light in the bathroom it was so dark. The hallway had a motion sensor light the turned off and on all night. The curtains where all busted up, And impossible to open. Overall it was a horrible experience, definitely will never stay there again. And would not recommend this to anyone.

Hotel was decent. But not worth the price charged. Wanted to charge another $20 for early check in. Also charge money if keys not returned. Money money money.....Location was great...cost was just too high. Came for a funeral...not much choice for accomodations.

First 2 days I was over 30 min on the phone having the internet fixed. Woken up at 5 am because the smoke alarm had low battery and was beeping constantly. The front desk asked me to replace the batteries myself because he couldn't leave the desk. Finally was denied later check out (11:45am instead of 11:00am)….

We had a horrible experience at this hotel. We found the front desk staff to be unprofessional, incompetent and lacking integrity. They made a mistake and eventually the supervisor admitted the mistake. However, the manager continued to deny any responsibility and treated us poorly. The hotel is run down and dingy. Never again.

This hotel was the best! The location is ideal. Near downtown New Smyrna Beach with a beautiful view of the beach. I just moved from New Smyrna last year, and this was my first trip home. I will definitely be staying at this hotel every time I come back. The staff was extraordinarily friendly and helpful. The pool and outside area give you the best view of the beach. It was a great place to just relax and soak in the sun.

My fiancé and I visited the hotel for a staycation. Upon calling to reserve a room, my fiancé could not stop commenting on the politeness and courteousness of Toni, which she worked with him to book our same-day reservation. Upon check-in, we met Jennifer at the front desk and she was super friendly and helpful. Later that evening when my fiancé and I prepared to go have a late dinner at The Tavern, as I stepped off the elevator, the key and fob to my SUV dropped into the elevator shaft. I am pretty careful with everything, so nothing like this has ever happened to me. I felt silly for making such a mistake. We tried to get the keys ourselves but could not get to the floor of the elevator shaft in order to grab them. So, we went to the front desk for help. Jennifer and the wonderful gentleman working security that evening tried EVERYTHING that they could to get our keys, literally everything, and never acted bothered or just put out. If one thing did not work, Jennifer would check another resource, make another call, seek approval, etc. Jennifer worked tirelessly to help us get our keys! After about an hour of her constant efforts in helping us get our keys, she received the approval to have the elevator company come on-site the following morning to retrieve the car key and fob. The following morning when we awoke to check-out of the hotel, I remembered that I needed to get my car key and fob, so I called the front desk and wonderful Toni answered. She indicated that our car key and fob had been retrieved, and she would deliver them to our room. Shortly after hanging up the phone, Toni knocked on our room door to deliver the key and fob. A scenario like that (losing my key) just has a way of dampening a great evening, but Jennifer, Toni and the amazing gentleman working security (who has only been employed there about 1 week) went above and beyond for strangers. I believe they did so because of the quality that the Best Western represents - Jennifer, Toni and the gentleman working security were doing what they were hired to do AND BEYOND! They were all so nice and friendly throughout the entire experience. I don't why or how they do what they do, but I am glad that they do it! Kudos Best Western New Smyrna Beach! The next time we visit, we plan to bring our kids with us! We cannot wait to come again!! From now on we will ONLY stay at the Best Western in New Smyrna during our weekend getaways. During future trips, I will be sure to hold securely to our car keys when getting on and off the elevator! :)

The Best Western Hotel and Suites is the best value for the money. The ocean front suites are incredible. The separate bedroom is a real plus. Very well located to enjoy all NSB has to offer. The entire staff is very friendly and helpful. We've already reserved our next stay.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights in October while visiting Florida. We used to live in Florida and New Smyrna Beach is one of our favorite places. I splurged the extra $20 or so and got an oceanfront room. Boy was that worth it! We were on the top floor facing the beach (right under the Best Western sign!) It felt like the penthouse suite! The room had a bedroom with kitchenette and a whole other sunken living room area. The balcony was huge off the living room and there was even a smaller balcony right off the bedroom. Sunrises were definitely worth waking up for. We noticed that all the rooms seemed to have balconies with some kind of view, but the side view balcony rooms look like they have air conditioning units right on the balcony, which takes up space. At the time we went, parking was included. We had a fabulous stay and wish we could have stayed longer. This is the best Best Western we have ever stayed at.

Have stayed here many times before, have given 5 stars in the past, now they have raised prices,added resort fee of $20 dollars, did not see on BW web site when we booked room, had to prove our case to not pay this hidden fee!

We usually stay in Daytona Beach, but decided to go a little further south. As soon as we get in our room we noticed a musty odor. We opened the door to the balcony to air out a bit as we were getting ready for our evening out. It seemed to help a little. After returning we got the same musty smell as we looked around we noticed a damp rid bag hanging in the closet obviously they know they have a problem. Also noticed dusty air vents and in the dresser it seems like the bottom two drawers had some what appeared to be water damage as the bottom of the drawers had some bubbling going on. Lucky we were only staying one night. We will stay somewhere else next time. I expect better from Best Western

Bed was so comfy. 2 balconies with awesome views. Everything was super clean. All od the staff were so nice. There's a restaurant with great views but they're only open until 1pm. Great restaurant right across the street!

This a very friendly, very clean location right on the beach. It is easy to get to and close to main interstates. There is everything you need in the area. It was very quite. Had no issues finding parking.

Warning they will steal your money! Paid in full before checking in so no need to charge me for anything. Told that the advertised amenities needed to be Inspected by the health inspector! Yikes… also FREE parking! What a joke… Everyone has ocean view? Our view was a sliver of sunshine and mostly the parking lot! We couldn't sit on the balcony to view our sliver of sunshine b/c the AC unit is on the balcony! Super noisy. However, sitting in your room, you can hear EVERYONE ON YOUR FLOOR! This includes at 10pm or midnight or 2am. The profanity is so serene and a great experience to the resort atmosphere. Just when you think you couldn't get out fast enough, the hotel hits you with a $20 per night resort fee! WHAT? This is not a 3-star hotel that has spa like amenities… we didn't even get fresh towels or a bed turn down while we were there. We were told by John (aka the manager on duty) that as of November 1 this was their “slow time” and they enforce a $20 per night “resort” fee to pay for maintenance, use of amenities, and PARKING! When I questioned the fee, John stated that he couldn't do anything about the fee that he would need to call upper management?! SERIOUSLY… think twice about what kind of experience you want. NONE of this was told to us when we checked in two days prior. Bring your own pillows, headphones, and check your piggy bank because this hotel will steal you blindly.

It was nice to be right on the beach with a private balcony overlooking the ocean. But too soft bed and uncomfortable, synthetic sheets. The kitchenette and table were nice to have but there was no lighting near them. We were there two nights with no housekeeping. When I asked I was told I could have left trash and dirty towels outside the door for pickup. ( This is not a campground! ) Or we could have made an appointment for cleaning. Staff not allowed in the room. They insisted they told me this at check-in. I would have remembered this. The pool was closed for renovation and breakfast not included. There is a restaurant on second floor.

Very old dated furnitures through out in room, smelly dampened old carpet in room pillows too soft and smelly not fresh. Rusty A/C unit on small patio takes away the ocean view for $160 paid no pool, no breakfast.

There were great views of the ocean, easy access to the beach, nice staff, especially Laney the recepetionist, the room was nice, the TV could be a little bigger and some of the channels freeze up while watching shows. The pool was closed but hopefully open next time I visit from AZ. The visit was really nice and I will be back again. I would give 4.5 out of 5 stars!!!

My family booked 8 rooms for a long awaited family reunion. Three days before we arrived from all over the country one of us was informed that the pool would be taken out of service for renovation.There was no offer of price reduction for a lack of a very desirable amenity, not even a meal voucher, just sort of a "tough darts on you" attitude from management. One room was too musty to stay in, fortunately it was changed quickly. One room made the occupants sick until the filthy air conditioning filter was changed, One rooms smoke detector needed service at 3 o'clock in the morning. My rooms door no longer fit the frame so a lot of effort, and noise was required to open or close it. Regular Housekeeping does not exist. Any housekeeping service was by request only ,this seems pretty widespread due covid and short staff. One of the 2 elevators experienced operational issues, such as stopping between floors for a few minutes on several days during our six day stay. If you are still reading the GOOD POINTS were the location it's BEACHFRONT!!!! Every room has a beachfront balcony, the sunrises were spectacular. The staff was helpful and friendly. The beds were comfortable. Most everything was reasonably clean. The in house restaraunt was good. Parking was free and ample. We all felt safe on and around the property. The Location is very convenient to shopping and dining. My family was so glad we could finally all travel and gather that we downplayed the shortcomings and made the best of the mediocre accomodations provided by the Mediocre Western.

Went on a short get away to the beach to my favorite beach. Loved our room (suite). We had 2 bedrooms as well as a living room and kitchenette, I understand all rooms have a balcony with the view of the beach. Was a great price. Hope to go back again.

We came here for one night. The hallways are very loud. Luckily we were at the end of the hall. The beds are very uncomfortable. The temperature control seems to stop at night because it went from freezing to hot in the middle of the night. There was no complimentary breakfast so the only redeeming aspect is that it's on the beach.

About two months ago, I booked a surprise beach weekend for my wife and I at this hotel for our anniversary. It was the same one which, three years ago, our entire wedding party and guests stayed when we got married. We never had any problems during that stay, so I thought I would take my wife there again. Two weeks before we were due to stay, I noticed on their website a banner asking people to "Pardon our dust". I called and found out that they were doing renovations and during our stay, the pool and deck would be closed. I asked the front desk about changing the dates and was told they did not have the authority to do that, that I could call tomorrow to speak to the manager, Dana. From there, it was just excuse after excuse of why she was unavailable to talk to me. They told us they don't issue any refunds, customer service does. I called customer service, they told us the hotel has the billing info and must issue the refund. I tried to call the manager multiple times over the span of three days, and finally was told she was refusing to speak with me. There was no reason why she should refuse my call. I have never heard of a manager refusing to talk to a customer, even if just to offer an apology for the inconvenience. I understand some things are beyond their control such as the timing of renovations, but there was no offer of a discount, a room upgrade, to move our weekend, or even a meal. It was basically sorry about your luck. They did say to call customer service one more time about a refund, so I called and had a very helpful lady who told me again it was not their responsibility to issue the refund, it was the hotels. She even called them for us to make sure they knew it was up to them and the manager talked to her and said she refused to speak to me or make any changes. I think that was the worst part of my experience was finding out the manager lied to me and forced me to make all sorts of phone calls to customer service until she finally refused the refund. I am disgusted with the lack of professionalism at this hotel, and the managers use of the front desk to screen her calls and make excuses for why she couldn't come to the phone. I was persistent in my calls, but I was never rude or yelled at anyone. I just wanted to surprise my wife and this hotel ruined the experience for me. And the final slap to the face, I was initially told they would not charge my credit card until check in. Well they charged it the same day I told them I would not be coming. I will never stay here, and at this point have decided to risk the loss of my money then step inside such a poorly managed hotel.

The staff had little to no care to your stay at the Hotel, I would recommend another Hotel just to Avoid the front desk. It was disappointing To have had the experience in getting into my hotel room. Don't Recommend it

It's unfortunate how bad our stay was at this hotel. The staff entered our room without our permission after it was specifically said not to enter without us being there.After we realized they entered, which they took the do not disturb sign off the door and threw it behind the door, they attempted to put the blame on us. And after we asked to speak to a manager, we were told she refused to speak with us until the next morning, uhmmm really? So when we asked to speak to her manager, she finally decided to speak with us. We stayed in a two bedroom suit, the rooms were extremely dirty, the bathroom had hair all over the tub and shower walls, the floor inside the bathroom was filthy and to top it off there was feces on the ceiling. All the blinds were broken inside rooms and all the furniture had grease marks. Overall this room was a disgrace. The staff had nothing to say about it because it was true so they went ahead and refunded our stay. I recommended you stay away from this place, it's not worth the hassle.

The hotel is centrally located on New Smyrna Beach. The balcony which overlooked the pool and ocean was marvelous. It was very peaceful to sit there in the morning, drinking coffee and watching the sunrise. I especially like the feature that every room has a balcony with an ocean view. This is not just a sliver of the ocean but a fantastic view. The staff was friendly and the room amenities were so appreciated. To have a cup of coffee in the room and be able to step onto the balcony was a delight.

We loved the balcony overlooking the ocean and the location of the hotel. The hotel was clean and well maintained. The room had a kitchen area with microwave, coffee maker and full sized refrigerator, and a table for 4 where we could eat or play games plus a comfortable chair and flat screen TV. The mattress was very comfortable. The only thing that would make it better for us is brighter warm light over the mirror in the bathroom. A full length mirror near the closet would also be helpful in getting dressed. The staff did not go in the room during my stay because of the pandemic, but all were exceptionally cheerful and helpful any time we requested anything for the room. The people working at the front desk were also very cheerful and helpful. The entire hotel was clean and stations for sanitizer were throughout the hotel in convenient locations. All of the staff wore masks most guests had on masks inside. The outside has a nice deck area and pool overlooking the ocean. It was a very pleasant stay. We will be back!

My husband and I booked this hotel as a last minute stay. So glad I did!!! The view from the room was absolutely gorgeous! Definitely will stay here again!!! The room was very clean and cozy. Open the door if u decide to stay and just listen to the ocean!!!

Rooms were clean, a bit odd shaped but not bad, and close to the action. The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful. We traveled there for family wedding and were generally satisfied with everything.

Reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because this hotel is dated but an amazing value for the price. Olivia and Kenny at the front desk went out of their way to help us solve a problem that they had no control over. Thank you ladies. Because of you we will be back. We don't know that chair/umbrella rentals were not available other than weekend days, at least not in off season. Too bad when we hadn't brought (or even wanted to bring our own).

I wanted to book a room for 9/20 but somehow the web site booked it for October 2. I called the hotel immediately and they said “sorry. We can't cancel and rebook for the correct date. Done you are out the money!” Almost $200. I called the best western telephone number they gave me and spoke to a very helpful person. While I was waiting on the line she called the hotel and spoke to the manager. She came back to me and apologized but the hotel would not change my booking!! PLEASE DON'T STAY HERE, The do NOT care about their customers!!

We were pleasantly surprised on just how nice our room and hote) was. Nice restaurant right in hotel. Great food and prices. Pool area was very nice and ot was right on the beach. New Smyrna is a nice little town. Not as touristy as other nearby cities

Great location and the staff is really nice. Far enough from Flagler to be nice in quiet but close enough that you can walk to a restaurant or to the shops. Our only issue was a weird smell in the room but we never complained. I'm sure they would have moved us if we had let them know but since we were only there for one night and the view from the room was really great we didn't complain. We've been here quite a few times and have never had a bad stay.

We rented 4 rooms at the last minute and while it seemed expensive to me I also have not traveled in almost 2 years. That aside the hotel was clean l, The staff exceedingly friendly and the rooms we're only exceeded by the view. My son daughters and their spouses were all exceptionally pleased with the trip. We plan on trying to come back next year and spend a week. If you're traveling to new Smyrna Beach it is definitely a hotel worth checking out.

It's an older hotel with a weird room set up. Looks like it used to be a condo complex but BW redid it. It was a good value for the price. We wanted to see the sunrise & we did. The restaurant was nice for a view but the prices a little high.

Upon arrival, my daughter, her husband & I smelled stale tobacco odor in the lobby. During registration we were informed of a “stiff penalty” if caught smoking in our rooms (we are all non-smokers); there was an opened pack of L&M cigarettes laying on the registration desk. Upon entering our rooms, both rooms smelled of stale tobacco odor. On the floor of my bathroom, near the door, I cleaned up a soft, brown, mushy substance (approximately 1/2 inch diameter). The toilet and sink were very slow to drain. There were no facial tissues in the tissue dispenser. There was no note paper and no “Do Not Disturb” sign. The bed sheets had a worn nubby texture from age. The layout of the room's floor plan was very nice, and the ocean view from our balconies was wonderful. Our breakfast at the hotel restaurant was very good and was reasonably priced. All hotel staff we encountered were courteous. When we checked out the following day, the lobby had an odor of fresh tobacco smoke.

We stayed the night at the beach for our wedding anniversary and stayed at the Best Western because it is directly on the beach. They gave us the top floor facing the ocean. Our room was extremely clean and the entire staff was super friendly. We will definitely stay here again.

I stayed in Room 315, Ocean Front King Room with a balcony. The view was amazing! Balcony was large and private for relaxing. Room and hotel property was very clean. Parking was easy and hotel issued you a parking permit for your car. Pool was nice and clean. It was nice having Kitchenette in my room. It offered small coffee pot and coffee / tea, toaster, fridge & freezer, microwave plus dishes & silverware for 4. Perfect for some quick home cooked meals or snacks! And if you do go grocery shopping, Publix is nice, BUT not far down the A1A is a HUGE Dollar General Market Place which offers fresh produce, meats, and many groceries in addition to their normal offerings. I would definitely stay here again. Perfect location, clean, quiet. Single female traveler and have always felt safe in NSB.

We live on the west coast of Florida now and New Smyrna was our favorite beach for many years. The Best Western is a perfect place to stay in NSB. Easy beach access, nice rooms, you won't go wrong. We will be back.

My second time here..absolutely love it Makes me want to move to new smyrna and make this my get away. I will keep coming here til I move to new smyrna...and will keep staying here . As a single woman traveling..I felt comfortable and everything was convenient and the hotel had everything needed.my room was a suite ...beautiful absolutely beautiful...I will definitely..absolutely be back. Worst experience EVER! Besides the inept management and customer service I believe I may have contracted COVID here over this past weekend! BEWARE! After trying to contact the managment team and no response for 4 days I may go to the hospital if my oxygen saturations levels drop. I cant breathe, and am extremely tired...I informed mangement and the front desk staff that this is a DIRE emergency. I was fully vaccinated in March 2021...signed a paper when i checked in that MASKS ARE TO BE WORN AT ALL TIMES IN COMMON AREAS! The Delta variant does not discriminate between vaccinated and unvaccinated and I informed the front desk staff this at check out. They are not enforcing it. When I brought it to the attention at checkout the young woman did nothing to try to remedy the situation, just became nervous and not making any coherent sense. I called several times last night and told the front desk that I MAY HAVE CONTRACTED COVID AT THE ESTABLISHMENT - that I would follow up with a PCR test on Monday as those are EXTREMELY ACCURATE but that the front desk should notify management and all of the employees and guests that I may have had contact with since Thursday and if they are not vaccinated that they should follow CDC recommendations and quarentine for 14 days ( as per CDC recommendations if you suspect you may have been exposed to covid)! Please, if you have stayed at this location this week COVID tests are FREE at CVS - drive throughs, no contact. You can purchase the tests at pharmacies over the counter. THIS IS A LIFE OR DEATH SITUATION FOR THE UNVACCINATED! There has been an 118% increase in Volusia County the last week. Numbers are still climbing. Shame on you BEST WESTERN NEW SMYRNA BEACH for not looking out for the safety and health of your employees, residents and guests. Florida is the new epicenter! The first thing I did when I returned home early and my 3 children and I were experiencing symptoms was to notifty this hotel. We have to look out for others and humanity as a whole. The selfishness of this establishment is unbelievable. Be stay safe and be well.

Great place to stay in New Symrna Beach. We'll equipped rooms with a view. Oceanfront, convenient, and can walk to lots of places. Very friendly staff. Only stayed one night, but loved it. Will stay there again.

A weekend at the beach. We enjoy taking a few days for ourselves once every other month to visit new places or visut a location we especially enjoyed in the past. Normally, we try to minimize cost by selecting days where prices may be a little lower. Didn't work this time but we enjoyed it anyway.

Great vacation at New Smyrna Beach Best Western Suites. Every room is ocean view, or ocean front and very reasonably priced. We had a 2 bedroom suite with kitchenette. Already planning my next stay . Such a great location.

The customer service was amazing at BW/NSB--the front desk staff of Kailey and Olivia were very helpful, personable, and efficient. Both ladies were wonderful! We rented two rooms for three nights and four days--the two oceanfront suites were spacious, clean, and luxurious! We were very comfortable in our rooms. The refrigerator and microwave were great! The pool was clean and wonderful. The entire staff was friendly and hardworking. A+ for Best Western New Smyrna Beach!

We have stayed at this property numerous times over the past 5 years. It is a great beachfront location. Unfortunately, the rooms need some attention. The caulking around the bathtub was black. The air conditioning vents were filthy with dust. The carpet was damp. Hopefully management will address these issues. Staff is very helpful whenever asked to supply additional towels, etc.

Our first visit to New Smyrna beach, I looked at other hotels and for the price and location, this was a great option, we tried to stay additional nights, but we're sold out. Walked to the Garlic for dinner,

Clean and friendly staff, room were clean and the beds were very comfy. The view was amazing and the balcony were wonderful with the best view of the beach one could ask for. One of the nicest beach hotels in the area.

Balcony overlooking the ocean from every room. Very clean rooms. Hotel just the right size - not hundreds and hundreds of people - yet had everything you need. Although small, the restaurant food was amazing - eggs to perfection and best burger we had in years.

The check in was quick, staff was friendly. The hotel was very clean. We had a suite, the rooms were spacious. Kitchenette had blares, glasses, mugs and silverware. Our balcony had a lovely view of the beach. The clean sandy beach was steps away. Chairs and umbrellas were available for rent. We will return!

I've read a few reviews and had a total different experience. I found the staff all very friendly! From housekeeping being helpful, to the maintenance man checking on the pool who was nice to chat with, to the check in staff being busy but still nice. Our room was roomy with a large bathroom. It was clean and so nice to have the full size refrigerator. The pool is small, but you do have a full ocean just steps away. The beach was clean and very family friendly. We will stay here again... Also if you stay here do yourself a favor and go to Boston's Seafood across the street.

This place was awful and We paid too much to stay at such a dump. It looks nice online but it's outdated, smelly, loud, uneven floors it feels like your going to fall. The beds are so uncomfortable my back still hurts days later. Oh and they have security around because of the crime and people they attract it must have a lot of problems. Customer service was horrible and treated us like we were a burden for just asking for something small or just asking a question. If you don't like people you shouldn't work in customer service. Especially the man at the front desk. He had greyish hair but he was rude and clearly unhappy. I wish I would of got his name but he was a sad excuse for customer service. You couldn't pay me to stay at this place again. A void the headache!! And don't believe the nice online profile pictures it's very deceiving!

Very disappointed with this facility. The room smelled of mildew. The floor ( carpet) was wet and very dirty in our suite. The bathroom floor was dirty and sticky. We had to wear shoes the entire time we were there. Informed management and was told we could be moved to a lesser value room. This facility did not meet the standards we are accustomed to in the Best Western chain.

The exterior was clean as was the reception area. Our 2 bedroom suite was clean and we were allotted several towels as room cleanings were only performed during checkout, the staff was very nice to ask if you needed anything replenished. There were only a few features that need attention in regards to our room, the carpeting needs to be removed and hopefully will help with the musty odor that was quite prevalent , and our mattress had a huge saggy area and was not very comfortable. I think and update of guest rooms is needed. Overall it was a nice stay due to location and friendliness of staff.

We really enjoyed our stay. The room exceeded our expectations with a little bedroom separate from the kitchen/family area. The view was beautiful and they thought of everything. There were dishes, silverware and dish soap/washcloth in the kitchen. We didn't even need the paper plates we had brought. There was also a toaster. The hotel was clean and had a quick check in/out process. The beach in front was fantastic and very clean.

The location, right on the beach cannot be better. The hotel is esthetically pleasing. The staff is very courteous and helpful. We stayed on the 8th floor, 2 room suite. Spacious, clean and had a great small kitchen area. The pool was clean and had ample seating ans lounge chairs. The restaurant has a good sized menu, small, but this gives the chef the ability to put out really good food every time. The price is also very good for the food we received. We loved the spacious deck to sit and look out into the beach and ocean. We highly recommend this location when you are in New Smyrna.

Nice view and also convenient. It was a little south of the main area, but nice view and quiet. Enjoyed the amazing view in the room. Good value for the room compared to other local options. Cost for room was lower than others while having a great ocean view.

Excellent stay, the front desk was amazing, the rooms are huge, clean and comfy, the view is so beautiful to Smyrna Beach, the beach access is convenient, and the pool is perfect too, enough parking space cover and not cover too, Publix and Walgreens nearby

we have stayed for over 30 years and will keep coming back. the staff is excellent and the rooms are always clean. The double beds were not very comfortable, but we still had a good experience, and look forward to visiting again.

The Front desk clerk at check-in was extremely professional and helpful. I had mistakenly booked the hotel for the wrong arrival night. He went above and beyond to accommodate us. The rooms were spacious and clean. The ocean view was spectacular. Any of the employees we interacted with were friendly. It's was a fabulous experience. I would highly recommend staying here.

My family and I grabbed 2 rooms last minute for a good price. We were able to check in early because the rooms were ready, they put us right next to each other which was great. The rooms were huge for the price, the balcony was perfect, and so was the view. The easy beach access was very convenient and I was able to park the car under the hotel so it wasn't in the sun all day.

The staff were all exceptionally Pleasant and helpful. We most enjoyed the balcony facing the ocean we sat there so I was watching me ocean waves. Food in the restaurant was very good and the view from the restaurant was awesome. I would highly recommend this hotel

We live in central Florida and frequently like to take a overnight trip to the beach. So happy we found the Best Western in New Smyrna Beach. It is the perfect place to stay for our beach getaways. Front desk staff was awesome. We'll definitely be back!!

My husband and I have stayed here twice and had a great time both times. The food in the restaurant is great, and being right on the beach makes this place even better. The rooms are clean and well maintained.

We always stay at this Best Western when we go to New Smyrna. Very clean hotel, friendly staff, breakfast with a view, right on the beach. We come every year, sometimes twice!! The hotel is older but very well kept.

Pros: Friendly staff, great location. Cons: We booked a suite for 2 nights @$220/night. No maid service, so those towels you left on the bathroom floor from the day before will have to be re-used or you'll need to call housekeeping. Same with that unmade bed. Toiletries not replaced. Coffee-we had 2 packs of decaf and no regular. This was for two adults for 2 nights. Separating the bedroom and living room is a thin single pane glass and blinds so there is no real privacy as far as sound. TV and conversation from one room can be easily heard in the other. Bathroom looked and smelled moldy. The balcony is OK as far as the view, but the AC unit is also out there so when it runs is is not only loud but the exhausted hot air surrounds you. Inside the vents for the HVAC are filthy. Sheets had excessive pilling.

Good location for family in Edgewater with every room having ocean view. Great little kitchenettes & refrigerators. Beds suck & they pretty much have only double size, but the bedding & pillows are nice. Rooms are very clean, lobby & hallways are short (good for handicap), but staff is exceptional! They made the entire stay - friendly, helpful, accomodating, above & beyond! Kaylie @ the front desk was awesome as was the entire dining room staff :) would definitely recommend & return.

Room was very adiquate but front dest lady was extremely rude. Not given accommodations promised and just empty excuses as to why. Did visit restaurant on property but not happy with limited menu and staff. I will say room was very nice and large. That and the fact that we were on the beach was enjoyable.

This hotel was an incredible stay! I grew up in New Smyrna Beach when this was a Holiday Inn. Yet, Best Western has kept it fresh and kept it modern. The front desk staff was incredibly friendly, as was the cleaning staff. They tended to all our needs, including changing my sheets one morning after some sand was left in my shorts! This really is a great property, well-maintained, and the security is always present making for a safe environment. The views from high up are great, and I definitely would stay here again!

New Smyrna Beach Best Western is an absolute gem! The staff takes great pride in keeping the hotel clean and efficiently run. The hotel's ocean front location, with beautiful views from our private patio was great. This is our favorite Best Western of any we have stayed in. We can't wait to return!

Right on the beach, balcony facing the ocean in every room, full sized fridge, and functional kitchen (minus a stove). The layout of the room--with separate bedroom and living room was perfect for a family of 5. We had a sleeper sofa--which helped with a family of 5. Note--staff said they are renovating rooms and phasing them out--so make sure you specify if you need them if traveling with 3 kids. right on the beach with a deck and a pool. the restaraunt is only open for breakfast and lunch which is the only bummer. The rooms are a bit older, but immaculate It was easy to get more towels and maintenance was on point. we had an issue with a smoke detector and they were at our room in under 20 mins and had it fixed quickly. I really liked this hotel. It's simple and clean and comfortable. i would stay there again.

Really enjoyed our 6 night stay at this property. Every room has at least some view of the ocean. The rates are reasonable considering it was spring break while we vacationed. Rooms are comfortable with two TVs and a standard refrigerator and microwave. I usually stay for 1 week every two years. Can't imagine changing since it always works out nice with the helpful staff, pool, and proximity to the beach.

staff were polite and friendly, rooms were clean amenities were available to use if dining in using own foods. breakfast at restaurant was decent but service slow., hotel was clean and close to beach and a short distance to downtown new symera beach. would recommend to others.

During our stay we encountered 6 roaches in our room!!!! We were only offered spray when we presented the issue to the front desk. They didn't even have the decency of picking up the roaches from the floor. The room smelled horrible and honestly I question how they haven't received a health and safety violation. It's so unfortunate because the hotel has a beautiful view of the beach and is so central but EWWW! So gross, not clean!!! Will never stay there again.

I took a 5 day trip to get some sunshine with my daughter and her two toddlers. The Best Western in New Smyrna Beach provided an excellent experience for us. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is directly on the beach and has a pool too so lots of opportunities to enjoy the outdoors. The rooms are suites with separate bedroom and kitchenette area. They also feature an ocean facing balcony with great views of the Atlantic. The kitchen area had a decent size refrigerator, microwave, toaster, and single cup coffee pot. They had enough basic dishes and silverware for four. This enabled us to pick up some groceries and have some breakfasts and lunches in the room. The bedroom had a door so we were able to give the kids naps and enjoy the balcony and rest of the room without fear of waking them. The beds were very comfortable. The couch and chairs in the room could use an upgrade. They were older and not very comfortable. The general area of the hotel was good with restaurants and shopping close by. It's a short drive to Flagler Avenue and that is a fun area for shopping and dining. We spent a couple mornings at the Canaveral National Seashore. What a gem! There are nice playgrounds within a short drive. I would recommend this hotel and area for those wanting a reasonably priced vacation. We had a wonderful time.

What a gorgeous view of the beach from our room! I loved being there. The rooms were very clean and nicely decorated! The staff were very friendly and sweet! Lots to do around there as well! I will definitely be returning! Check it out!

Check in was very thorough - very Covid conscious - even took our temperature before we could check in. Excellent room, very quiet, 6th floor, overlooking the beach and ocean. They have a restaurant on site for breakfast - better than a grab and go bag that you get at most places. Would stay here again!

Place was clean and rooms are set up where every room gets a view of the beach even for a little. Rooms are nice but is split where if someone wants to sleep it is cut off and there is a sitting area outside it. Beach is nice but a lot of people and it is on the driving part of the beach. Just wanted to say that Irish Chris at the front desk was very nice. He took the time to explain the rewards program and seemed to like his job where I don't think anyone else really cared if you were there or not. The only thing I will say is to rip the carpet out. Something smelled musty and maybe that was it.

My husband & I stayed for 5 days during our trip for the Daytona 500. The hotel was oceanfront and was impressed on how each room has a really good view of the ocean. Loved our suite room and appreciated how clean and well maintained our room was. The hotel and complex is very well maintained. The front desk staff were the nicest staff we have ever dealt with. Great Job!

Place was very clean and had a great view of the beach. Loved waking up in the morning and going on the porch to watch the sunrise. Very relaxing and no complaints. Would definitely come and stay again.

We spent one night here. Our room was facing the ocean and absolutely beautiful view. We had a mini suite which was two rooms. One a sitting room and king bedroom. The mini kitchen is great , fully stocked with. Small reg frig. The King bed was comfortable. Our only complaints are that the rugs should be ripped out and replaced with laminate or tile. They were damp from humidity and pretty gross and old. The furniture NEEDS to be replaced! I needed sheets to cover the chair and sofa because they were so old. Overall the room was ok only because of the view and two nice balconies facing the ocean.

Our room was great and worked out well with having our 16 month old son with us. Our room had two bedrooms which was helpful. we had an ocean view room which I think all rooms there are which is nice. We had an issue with the thermostat in our room and Danny at the front desk had it promptly resolved his customer service is on par. we had one other issue that was solved to our complete satisfaction as Danny had said they are there and do work really hard to make sure your stay is accommodating and enjoyable.

Friendly, caring staff who put your health and safety as a priority. Constantly cleaning common areas making you feel very safe during Covid. Temperature checks on arrival. Plenty of hand sanitizer- rooms are extremely clean. Currently updating some of the well worn couches and installed new "tap" keys making entry into the room so much easier when your hands are full. Oceanview from the room is spectacular! This is my 86 year old mom's "go to place" for a little R& R and with the handicap pass is able to really enjoy the drive on New Smyrna beach! We will be back!

We have stayed in this hotel three times now. Everytime we go they have updated the rooms a bit. The front desk staff is great. The housekeepers are wonderful and helpful. We have eaten in the restaurant where the service and food was great. Awesome time!!

We booked two rooms at this hotel months ago. When talking to the rep who booked our rooms, she said she would put us on the 7th floor direct ocean front and make the reservation locked so we would definitely get these rooms. We were thrilled! Upon check in we were assigned rooms on the 4th floor and told that the rep should not have promised us specific rooms. What? Then why did she and what happened to our promised rooms? No answers. So, our 4th floor rooms were ocean front and very nicely equipped- just not what were promised months ago. Anyway, it was a good stay with a large balcony overlooking the ocean. The hotel restaurant has an ocean front view, too and a good breakfast. It is not easy to get to the beach from here as you need to find the correct doors that go outside and then down several flights of stairs and through fence doors to get to the pool deck and then another flight of stairs to the beach. If you don't mind being quite a distance from Flagler and all it's restaurants and bars, etc. it's a good choice.

The people at the front desk, the maids and everyone who works at this hotel make the experience wonderful. These are very tough times but the General Manager has worked very hard with his staff to produce a safe, healthy and a fun time for everyone.

We stayed here for 5 days of COVID semi-quarantine prior to heading to Orlando for the holidays. The hotel is directly on the beach - our room had a great view and a nice balcony. Use of facilities was limited, and there was no room-cleaning, which was all understandable given COVID. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Everyone wore masks and there was a good focus on hygiene, which was reassuring. We stayed in a large suite, with 2 separate full rooms and a kitchenette (fridge, sink and microwave but no stove / oven). Very comfortable beds! This is an ideal hotel for an extended stay given the big rooms, great views and location on the beach.

Great stay. Making the reservations over the phone for 4-5 rooms under one person name went well. One person from the ladies weekend, decided to check-in one day early. Good thing they did. They asked if everything was OK with the rest of the group/ladies checking in and ALL the reservations were canceled! They did redeem themselves and reserved the requested rooms before the ladies checked in before Friday! Make sure you check your reservations prior to your arrival. Not all front-desk staff is trained very well.

Booked a king room with ocean view a month before I was the maid of honor at my friend's wedding. We had been planning this weekend for a year. She reserved a block of rooms. Some of the party were staying 2 nights, but I could only stay the night of the wedding. I reserved my room for THAT night. Well, went to check in on THAT night and I'm told there is no reservation for me at all. The man at the desk wouldn't even look at my confirmation email, just kept saying no record of you. Ok, well, do you have any king bed ocean view rooms available? I asked. No, they're all gone, but we have a handicapped double bed room with no view. Uuhh, no. I want the room that I reserved, and had confirmation of. I didn't reserve a room, the desk clerk kept insisting. I was so upset, that I just went home while the rest of the bridal party went upstairs. Then, wouldn't you know it, these people had the nerve to charge me for the room I never stayed in, claiming that I was a no-show, on a completely different date. Well, gee, how can I be a no-show, if I never had a reservation?? So, fuming, I contacted customer relations, was told very promptly that there is record of my original booking and confirmation of my chosen date (the night of the wedding), but that the HOTEL changed the date of the reservation to one day before the wedding, and customer relations had no idea why they would do that (me neither). I want my money back, I said. Left a message for the hotel manager, never returned my call. Contacted customer relations after 5 days of no response and was told that it appears the hotel is going to keep my money, sticking to their no-show policy!! You're joking, right? Nope. So, I immediately contacted my bank to file a dispute. My bank gave me credit for the full amount, but to do so, I had to cancel my current card and get a replacement. It's been nothing but an expensive pain in my a**, and it wasn't even my fault!! New Smyrna Best Western is lousy at taking ownership for their mistakes. They just ignore you, take your money and hope you go away. Beware of any bookings, take their "confirmation" emails with a grain of salt, because they don't mean a damn thing. My advice? Just keep looking, there are plenty of other hotels on New Smyrna Beach that DO value their customers time, special occasions and hard-earned money. Not the Best Western. Thanks guys, for making such special memories!

Clean, large suites that are ocean view with balconies are a great way to relax and be at the beach with out sand in your shoes! The room layout is less modern than today's cookie cutter rooms, more like a studio apartment. Staff is friendly and caring, this was our second time here, very consistent in their care and cleanliness. We stayed in 20 motels in Florida over the past 3 weeks, this motel took covid seriously, even took our temperature, staff and all guests wear masks, if you need a clean safe place to stay this is it!

We chose the Best Western at New Smyrna Beach for our anniversary 3 years ago and repeated the visit 2 years ago. Back then, the location and service were excellent, but the hotel itself was unfortunately in need of a refresh. This weekend, we had the pleasure to celebrating our anniversary there for a third time and it has gone from good to EXCEPTIONAL. LOCATION: The Best Western is designed so that each room's balcony is private so you're enjoying an impressive view of the ocean rather than the folks in the room next to yours. Also, it is just 1 block from Walgreen's, Publix, and an entire shopping center. APPEARANCE: I'm thrilled to say that the hotel has been remodeled and it wasn't just a minor refresh. The choices made resulted in a beautiful and serene facility. Even the elevators appear to have been updated, now providing quick response times and smooth operation without lurches. AMENITIES: The quality of the bedding was such that I had the best sleep I've had in the past two years or so. The kitchenette was fully stocked and the bathroom had a full complement of toiletries that were of surprising quality. The hotel offers a large, pristine clean pool with an abundance of loungers and tables, as well as plenty of guest parking at no charge. SERVICE: I had multiple interactions with various members of the staff and am pleased to say everyone from the management to housekeeping to wait staff was genuinely warm warm and service-minded. RESTAURANT: I saved the best for last. Breakfast is usually the least exciting meal of the day. Here, however, it was so remarkable that we talked about it throughout the day for two reasons - the waitress, ANNIE, and the quality of the food. Annie is so personable without being overbearing that Best Western should put her in charge of training other wait staffs. With regard to the food, every single component of the breakfast surpassed expectations. We ate there multiple times and the quality was consistent throughout. The icing on the cake was being able to eat in front of floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the beach, in all its glory. The bottom line is that you would be hard pressed to find a better location, value, or experience anywhere else along New Smyrna Beach!

Went to FL to look at schools for my son. Had no plans or made any reservations. Just looking for a place for 1 night. Found a BW online and walked in to see if they had a room. Ended up staying for 3 night and will stay here every time we go back! Great rooms with a better veiw. Clean,Friendy, Affordable. What more could you want. I would give them 6 stars if i could.

Rooms are right on the beach. The balcony overlooks the beach, and you can go down to the 2nd floor and from the deck, take the steps directly onto the beach! Rooms could stand to be updated, but they're clean and comfortable. I was, however, livid with the staff over a very aggravating miscommunicaiton our last day; I called the front desk and was told we could extend checkout until 11:30. We had gone the night before to The Garlic, an iconic New Smyrna Beach restaurant that was well worth the 90 minute wait (they don't accept reservations). I had half my dinner from the previous evening in the room refrigerator, and after loading our bags into the car, came back to the room at 11:07 to get my meal that I was very much looking forward to finishing for lunch, and housekeeping was already in the room, and had thrown my dinner box away! I was furious! I told the front desk, who clearly had failed to communicate the late check out to housekeeping, and got a shrug and "sorry about that". My email to Best Western corporate has gone unanswered thus far.

We had a great time. We did not have any problems room was clean and enjoyed the beach and walking distance to Flagler Avenue. It rained Saturday night but the restaurant right across the street was very good since we didn't want to drive anywhere.

Excellent stay even though it was for one night only this time. Hotel room very clean. Hotel following Covid 9 Restrictions, wearing masks and social distancing. Would recommend this hotel and also has beautiful Beach views.

This Best Western is in a great location. However, we are having a terrible experience with customer satisfaction. Our air conditioner went out the first night we stayed there last weekend. The room also smelled like cat urine. Not sure if it was from the air conditioner not woking or not. No manager on duty over the Labor Day weekend to make a price adjustment to our bill for a full night of hotness. I have reached out to the manager by email 2 times and left her three phone messages. This all started on September 4th. Every time I speak to someone they have an excuse on where the manager is. So bizarre. All I am asking is for the manager, Dana or Jose, to contact me in regards to this unfortunate situation.

we have stayed here many times and love this hotel. It is definitely a bit dated, but a great location and awesome staff- especially Chris. The rooms are spacious with very functional kitchenettes and small balconies overlooking the beach.

Hotel room had a very bad odor to it and bathroom was disgusting , tub drain plugged with gravel coming up from the drain , The only thing that this hotel had going for it was the location , we got the hell out of there and found a better hotel nearby !!!!

BEWARE. BEWARE. I booked a room at the New Smyrna best Western for a birthday getaway for my wife and daughter. My only advice would be to stay somewhere else. Check in was supposed to be 3:00 but the room was not ready until after 5:00. Strike one. After finally getting in the room we had just enough time to quickly shower and get ready for a dinner reservation we had at 7:00. After returning from dinner we went for a walk on the beach and returned to the room around 10:45. The kids went to bed so my wife and I decided to sit on the balcony and enjoy the view. As we were sitting on the balcony we watched a roach crawl across the floor inside the room. Before I could open the door he was gone. We sat for a little longer only to see 2 more scurry across the room. At this time I called the front desk to let them know of the issue. They sent the security guard up who proceeded to tell us he was not surprised. WHAT!! Well after he left we watched another roach come out from behind the couch so I moved the couch and at final count I was at 10 roaches that I had to step on. I made another call to the front desk and the same security guard came up, this time with an attitude and said “ well, you don't have to stay here” but they were going to take care of us for the trouble. Mind you both my children were fast asleep since it was now after 12:30. We decided to avoid any further confrontation and went to sleep in the bedroom where we had not seen any insects to this point. Strike 2. I woke up at 5:00 after a very short unrest full few hours of sleep only to put my feet on the ground to soaking wet carpet. Ver half of the bedroom floor was saturated. Strike 3. Final straw. I woke my family up and we packed our belongings and drove home. Checked my credit card statement today only to find that we were charged for the room. Two days later they ran the room charge? Maybe they thought I would not notice. I called the hotel and the manager looked up our room and said “what more do you want. We gave you a $35 credit”. Wow, a completely ruined birthday weekend for my wife and daughter is worth a $35 credit. I have disputed the charge with my credit card company and will NEVER stay here again. I warn you in advance. There are so many other options in beautiful New Smyrna Beach. Sorry for the long rant but I wanted to be as detailed as possible to save anyone from the nightmare we went through.

Not beach front, the most uncomfortable furniture, not a regular coffee pot, one of those 1 cup makers, should say that in the amenities. We drink two pots in the morning and had brought our own coffee, filters, etc. Only about four of those little set-ups. Our room was right over the garbage dumpster and of course they came at daylight on Saturday morning to dump! Tv was the pits. No channel guide in the room and all there was was off the wall channels. Tv so small...

Second tine staying here this summer. Clean and excellent procedures to avoid virus. Very nice staff. Excellent value. Free wi fi, free convenient covered parking, etc. We'll be back again soon. Location is perfect. Right on beach and near many good restaurant. On site restaurant is a plus if you don't want to leave the premises.

This was my second stay at BW since June, but my husband's first. We had received a phone call two days before our arrival saying there was a problem with our room and would we mind switching to a lesser room or switching dates. I just wanted to check with my husband before making a decision. When I called back I was told by “ Shirley” that she found us a better room and apologized and gave us a better rate. Upon arrival, we were thrilled with the room , it had a great view and was perfect for relaxing on the balcony. The staff at the hotel was really helpful and pleasant for both stays.

Have always enjoyed staying at this hotel. Discovered it 2 years ago and my 3rd time there. Seascape is awesome for breakfast but wish it was open for dinner as well. Would be nice. Sofa bed needs to be more comfortable with a better mattress. Overall love the rooms, love the location, its quiet and relaxing

Booked trip in January for July. They told me $1300. They day before called to check on room. Booked me wrong room. They told me they lady that booked my room normally doesn't do it. Cost me an extra $700. When I checked in they guy told me I do have an choice pay it or cancel. 3 kids what do you do. Yes pay it to late to do anything

Door did not close properly. Refrigerator did not cool our food or drinks. Spoiled our food. Air never cooled as expected. No bedding for sofa bed. When we asked for some they sent us a blanket. Highly disappointed.

The improvements they make keep this hotel looking better and better I feel like I am coming home when I come here the staff is always very helpful and friendly and it is reasonably priced I was able to book a last minute early reservation because they had cancellations for the 4th weekend due to covid 19 I was glad they got me in and for a good rate for a holiday weekend and not only got to stay at my favorite hotel but also my favorite room

This hotel is trying very hard to keep everyone safe during the virus. All of the rooms have an ocean view and our room was very large and adequate for a one night stay. The room had a refrigerator, some dishes, a sink, coffee pot and microwave if you want to eat in the room. The hotel is close enough to walk to the restaurants and shops and there is a restaurant onsite for breakfast and lunch. Breakfast was not included in our room rate. The staff is practicing social distancing and disinfecting surfaces. The only complaint I have about our room was the carpet needed to be swept better. It appeared the area around the table and chairs had not been swept recently.

Not impressed with the check-in procedure and attitude but we got thought that. Shower didn't drain. Big deal is the beds. Way too soft. All night long I had a back ache and it looks like it will be continuing all day. Just what I want on a motorcycle trip. Very uncomfortable.

BW at NSB was delightful! I loved the very spacious ocean view room with living room/kitchen, separate bedroom, and separate bathroom. Thrilled at having two bathroom sinks and two tv's! The balcony view was spectacular of the ocean, river, and the area. Our family had two rooms--we spent three nights at BW. The staff were all helpful, friendly, and personable. A+ grade!

I arrived for Father's Day for a nice weekend from Winter Park just to be turned away at the door when I arrived due to Covid-19 and my room was not ready until 4. I pleaded with the screening attendant and was told this is a pandemic, not like other hotels, won't help you with luggage, and I had to get screened to use the toilet. Then waited until 4 to be herded in like cattle to get out room that smelled like poop, mildew, and puke. I was then called by the desk that apologized saying someone had puked and I would get $30 off. I think If someone was sick they should get me a fresh and similar room immediately and comp my unpleasant experience. I was told to call tomorrow to see if I can get a fresh room or go through the whole cattle drive process again for my 2nd night. Very unacceptable and if I get Covid-19 I'm sure it will be from this room. Happy Father's Day to me!

Great stay! The beach view from the room was epic. All rooms have views- well designed hotel. The pool was refreshing. The walk to Flagler Ave via beach wasn't too strenuous and wonderful. The room was big with a refrigerator and small kitchen. The doorman originally from Boston was so kind and helpful. There was a small hiccup with the keys and another guest, but it was cleared up very quickly. The location is prime! The restaurants, bars, supermarket... all at your fingertips. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone. Enjoy your stay !

The room was very clean and comfortable with central A/C, good size bathroom with double vanities and very comfortable beds. We had a great view of the ocean with a private balcony. Nice ocean front pool with large deck area to relax and watch the waves roll in.

The room was clean and the location was great and staff was helpful.but the furnture was worn out. Sofa sank so low you could not sit on it. TV remote or hotel did not have a chanel guide. not a big deal but it would have been nice to see what was on without scrolling thru every station.

We had an ocean front room with two balconies - 1 for the sunrise and 1 for the sunsets. We liked the rule of 2 people or families at a time in the elevators and everyone respected it. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Can't wait to go back!

Bathtub didn't drain maintenance came up at midnight to unclog drain and left mess in tub when he left, toilet kept running, dirty ice bucket, no sheets and blanket for pull out bed, told us it was in the closet but only thing was a pillow, hand sanitizer station on floor was never filled, thin walls so heard everything going on in the hallway, just not up to Best Western standards. Great view from balcony.

Hotel check in was quick even with all the extra precautions they are taking. The lobby was very clean and staff were very polite. Room was very clean and the ocean view was incredible. I'll be back again soon.

We traveled during Covid19 so we knew it would be different than “normal” travel times. The hotel and staff were pleasant, accommodating and understanding. Hotel was clean, rooms were clean and proper precautions were taken. I called prior to stay to ask questions and Shirley, Daniel and Brady were very helpful. I would definitely stay here again. It's right on the beach.

We set up our reservation and paid with points from our credit card. I had a hard copy of the confirmation, but the front desk didn't have the same information in their computer. I had the front desk make a copy of our confirmation and asked that the manager call us. She was at a job fair that day, and we were told that she was the only one who could "fix" the issue. I did not hear from her the following day. I left messages three times during the next three days before she responded. She informed me they don't take credit card points. I called the credit card company and was told the hotel refused to speak with them. I made a formal complaint to corporate and am awaiting their response st this time. The manager was rude and had absolutely no customer service skills. A hotel (or any establishment) is only as good as the management. I will never return to this hotel.

The location of this hotel is wonderful. It is ocean front, has a restaurant, and is close to a grocery store. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the ocean view rooms offer wonderful views. The hotel staff is very welcoming and friendly.

Well, there's no getting around it, this hotel is a old gal. They keep her up very well, but there's no hiding that this gal is well past the debutante stage. But, having said that, the hotel is very well maintained with a maintenance staff buzzing all around every day. It is well painted, floors relatively new, and everything in pretty good working condition. A number of things have been removed over the years -lights on the balcony (a very wise deletion); dishwasher (at least there appears to have been one in the earlier days - there's a space there for one - now closed off with a piece of paneling). The lack of a dishwasher becomes noticeable when a sign on one of the cupboard doors informs you that the dishes and silverware provided (not much of a selection - and no cooking gear) are cleaned by the housekeepers with dish soap and towel provided in your room - and it says that does not meet Federal or State sanitation codes. We stayed for over a week and bought paper plates and plastic utensils at the close-by Publix. We had an oceanfront room (most of the hotel rooms could probably we called that - at an angle - but ours was directly on the front of the hotel with fabulous views of the water - and sunrises over the water. The price for an oceanfront suite , which we had, was very reasonable considering what you got. I will say our balcony high up attracted crows which left behind messy calling cards. We asked maintenance to come clean it up, which they did quickly. The staff was all very pleasant, friendly, and helpful. The elevators (two serving 9 floors, including the under the hotel parking garage) answered the call button quickly and zoomed you to your chosen floor. Much quicker than the hydraulic elevators found in your typical Hampton Inn. Never had to wait but for a few seconds. Our room was fine - not the Ritz - but we didn't expect the Ritz anyway. What we missed in pizzazz was made for in our beautiful view. I will say that our bed was a bit softer than I like. The bathroom was not what you find in a recently opened Hilton Garden Inn - but was perfectly serviceable. There was not a light over the dining table in the room which made for dim eating. There should be an overhead light there - or at least a wall sconce - but.. nada. The in-room coffee maker was a Cuisinart (I was hoping for a Keurig where I could use my own pods). See pic of Cuisinart coffee packet provided. I was looking for something a bit more to my taste, but the local Publix had no Cuisinart packets, If we do this again, I'm bringing along my own portable Keurig coffee maker. TV service was very good - a modern flat screen TV with cable providing 81 channels. The picture was perfect. The only problem was that there was no Channel Guide available on the TV - meaning that you had no idea what was playing on those 81 channels. When we first checked in there was no closed captioning available on the TV - but that changed in a day or two, with CC being available (the cable provider was tweaking the new set up. Maybe they'll add a channel guide. There is an in-hotel restaurant that is open for breakfast and lunch. Prices were reasonable, service good and very pleasant, and food well prepared with a good assortment of menu choices. Looks, though, as if the windows are rarely really cleaned - which made ocean viewing less than stellar. There is a Publix and Walgreens close-by, and a restaurant, Boston's Fish House, directly across the street from the hotel - as is a do-it-yourself car wash (with one automatic touchless drive-thru bay). Spent a lot of time walking the beaches (cars are allowed on the beach at certain times of the day - if the tides are not too high). We suffered through a gale with howling winds and driving rains for a day or so, but we had a number great days too. All-in-all a delightful stay.

The views are amazing. No matter which room you have. The best is the 8th floor. Request the 8th! The closeness to the beach. The pool deck was relaxing and great view all the way around. Ask for Chris, one of the staff...he's amazing! And very helpful, with what you'll need!

We stayed here for one evening before going to the Daytona 300. The hotel is right on the beach with wonderful views of the ocean but unfortunately resides on the stretch of sand that allows cars to drive on. We stayed in a Ocean Front King Bed Suite. The room had a long narrow balcony with door access from the bedroom & separate living room. The rooms were oddly shaped as the building used to be condos. The hotel has been thoughtfully renovated inside but still has the structural feel of a 1980's design. On entering our room there was a narrow entry with a closet & bathroom. The room then opened up into a large space with a king bed, table & chairs, kitchenette & great views of the ocean. The kitchen had a medium size fridge, microwave, coffee maker & dishes. The bed was very comfortable & the room was quiet & clean. However some of the furnishings could use a refresh. The living room adjacent to the bedroom was oddly designed. The room was sunken so you stepped down into it which did not allow views of the ocean while sitting. There was a small sofa, chair & T.V. but no door to close off from the bedroom. We did not spend time enjoying the amenities but noticed a restaurant on the second floor & a pool. Free parking & wifi were included. There were also a few restaurants in walking distance from the hotel. I honestly feel the price point did not match the accommodations but I guess we were paying for the ocean views.

Great room with a great view of the beach and ocean from a nice balcony. Room was clean, hotel was clean and the staff was very professional. My only drawback was the restaurant opened a little late and we couldn't use it, had to eat on the run. For the price, I would expect breakfast a little earlier.

Located on the beach, this Best Western is well situated and convenient to grocery stores, restaurants, and beach enjoyment. We had a two bedroom suite that was clean, spacious, well laid-out, and comfortable. It had an angled view of the beach and a reasonably sized balcony. A full sized refrigerator and a microwave plus a sink and a few dishes and some silverware were available in a limited kitchenette that was along one wall of the living room. Staff was friendly and welcoming. My only disappointment was that there was no complimentary breakfast. I did, however, check out the restaurant on-site that had hours of 7-3 and the prices were reasonable and the beach view very nice. Multiple other restaurants are nearby. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel, but beachfront pricing can be a consideration for someone on a tight budget.

A full week right on New Smyrna Beach is a real treat!! Excellent location with everything you need close by. Onsite restaurant and laundry. We had a one bedroom suite with kitchenette. Full sized fridge, sink, microwave and small dining table.

We loved our brief visit to the Best Western in New Smyrna Beach so much that we stayed an extra day before the wedding we were attending inland and returned for an extra two nights before flying home. The apartment style room was very clean and cozy with a perfect ocean view. The amenities are just what one needs to make time away from home comfortable. The bed and pillows are so soft ~ I want the same at home! The front desk staff are super friendly and helpful along with the maintenance, housekeeping and security personnel. We felt like we were returning home when we came back for our second stay. Thank you Best Western New Smyrna for a brief yet awesome time away from home ~ we will be back!

This hotel is one of my main "go-to" spots when I spend time in New Smyrna (if I'm not staying with friends). The rooms are clean, well-decorated and equipped with a full size fridge, a microwave, dishes, etc. More like a furnished apartment than a hotel room. Very comfy. My only complaint about this place is that occasionally the elevator takes forever because some many people coming and going at the same time. It's right on the beach within walking distance to several of my favorite restaurants.

It is all about the view! I love sitting on the bed looking at the ocean! Room could use a update, but hotel was clean, room had a kitchenette! Enjoyed the stay!! Short drive to Sanford Orlando Airport! About 45 minutes!!

The location is incredible, few steps from the sand, i go to the beach shoe less. There is a good breakfast in the hotel available, but not included. Any way, it is very good and a fare price. The room is very very spacious, very confortable, with full kitchen, all rooms in front of the beach. There is a pool, also in front of the sand... FANTASTIC, I love ! The front desk staff very kind and friend. Close to walgreens and walking distance to the main street.

We have stayed at this hotel 3 nights every year for the past 10 years. The hotel is situated on Atlantic Ave and the beach is literally within 30 steps off the parking lot, it also has balcony's facing the ocean off of every room. Facility is constantly being updated and renewed...excellent value for the cost. Employees are always concerned about guests well being and making sure everything is satisfactory.

It was a very relaxing and fun weekend. The Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The location was excellent. Restaurants and shopping are nearby. I wouldn't hesitate to spend more time here. I have already highly recommended the hotel to friends.

This Best Western is right on the beach, great ocean views. We had a King Suite so had LOTS of room. Our ONLY problem was when we were trying to check in. We knew we were early, but tried anyway. Room was not ready, that's OK, I knew we were early. When I asked if the room might be ready by 3:00, the response was "guaranteed check in is at 4:00". We wanted to watch a football game at 3, so I asked if they could turn the lobby tv to the game and that was no problem. As we are watching the game, at approximately 3:20, one of the reception gals was leaving for the day and her comment to the other girls...."all the rooms are ready except for the two families waiting on rooms". I could not believe what I heard. We and another family were waiting... since 12:30 pm.... they knew that, and they got all the other rooms ready before ours. Sour taste in my mouth for sure. This Best Western also does not serve a complimentary breakfast, but that is not a deal breaker for me. They had a very nice restaurant, staff was very friendly and it overlooked the beach. Don't know if we will stay there again...maybe if they could get some training on either how to try to accommodate BW Rewards customers, or not let the customers overhear a conversation like I heard.

Great location right on the beach with access to drive on to the breach right next door, friendly helpful staff, room had great views of the beach and ocean and was spacious and clean. overall a very pleasant stay

Breakfast was substandard...no yoghurt, no GF choices, and in an area way too small. I had an orange, my own cereal, and a mediocre apple. No vacant tables. All the rooms on the street are REALLY noisy. We moved to a room in the middle and it was ok. The grounds were well kept, and the roof was being replaced...maybe they'll soundproof the place one day, because the placereally has potential.

Rather disappointed in this BW as it was my first BW that did not provide a complimentary breakfast. When making the reservation, was told that I had two queen beds but to request the King size as it was first requested and told that it wouldn't be any problem, but when checked in, received a 2 double bed room and the wife was not pleased. Although I used one of my free nights stay vouchers for this beachside hotel and travelled over 1000 miles to it, neither of us was impressed with the mildew smell in the room experience either. You'd think you'd get a complimentary breakfast at a BW that is over 32000 points for a night! Other BW's in the area are a better deal.

Terrible terrible terrible! I held room with my credit card, once we got there my husband paid with his credit card. They charged both of our credit cards! I left over 7 messages with Alex Hurst and he neverresponded to my calls. After two weeks I finally received a call telling me that they Never charged my credit card and she didn't know what I was talking about. I asked for general manager to call me back, ( Jose Gonzalez) and her response was she didn't know why bc he was going to tell me the same thing!!! So I had to call my bank to dispue the charge!! The bride also had a problem with her room. They charged her $250 for a smoking free and they don't even smoke. We contacted Corporate with no result! Do Not stay here unless you want to get ripped off!!!

While the location is awesome, the views are great, and the new updates to the hotel in the lobby are nice, I simply don't think we can stay here any more. Every time we've stayed in the last three years, we've seen roaches. The first year we saw roaches (at least 3 to 4 of several varieties), they provided a small discount and we figured they just needed to fix the issue. The second year (last year), we only found one and it looked to be an outside variety so we did not mention it. This year, however, we found another 3 (that are most likely german roaches) that we took down to the front desk to which the response was "well you know some people bring in creatures" and we were provided another small discount - both of these I find lacking in customer service by management. In all of my hotel stays, I can honestly say that I can't recall ever seeing roaches, much less on multiple occasions. I've overlooked it in the past, but cannot continue to do so and while I feel hesitant to post such a scathing review, I feel people need to know.

Wonderfull staff at this oceanfront hotel. Comfortable beds and high end bedding, good wifi, restaurant very good. Gorgeous beach, nice pool. Recommend a stay here. Nice downtown area nearby. A car or driver necessary to explore..

Thanksgiving vacation was a good time again. Best Western is a great location to enjoy everything New Smyrna Beach has to offer. We look forward to it every year. From Bloody Mary's on the deck of the restaurant to walking on the beach

That maybe cliche but it is so applicably in this case. The people starting at the front deck, to the gentleman incharge of maintaining and keeping the grounds beautiful, the first class maid service provided to the manager himself coming out to meet me to let me know how much they appreciate my business. Family suites are spacious and nice. No bad views of the ocean. Place was clean and everyone was nice. Beds are very comfortable. My only critique is the restaurant in the hotel is only open from 7a to 2p and the hotel doesnt offer a free breakfast. The hotel is very close to Flagler Ave for shopping and food though

Every time we travel to this area, we stay with BW on NSB beachside. Love the location, convenience to shopping, etc and love that there is ocean front/view balcony's with every room, and a kitchen too. An added bonus, is having the restaurant on site, with full menu, for breakfast and lunch and much better food than "complimentary breakfast bars" that you see in other motels/hotels.

Great staff. The ocean front room had incredible views. With that comes moisture. And mold grows easily. We had maintenance come up and clean our ac unit. Some odor still remained that my wife put up with. I couldn't smell it. The room has a full fridge, sink, and microwave. The front desk was awesome. We bought some wine and he asked how we we're going to open the bottle? We had no opener so he reaches down and grabs one. Then what glasses are you drinking out of? We said the plastic ones in the room. He disappeared and comes back with wine glasses. “Just leave them in the room when you're done” he said. There is a restaurant in the hotel which we used for breakfast. Good meal and good prices! We walked across the street and had dinner at the restaurants there. Both were very good but that's my other review. The pool was clean but the filtering system had a loud whistle. Our room was clean and quiet.

A great place to stay. Waterfront on a great beach. Friendly helpful staff, hotel kept very clean. We will be going back. Friends came to share our vacation. All our rooms were different. But all were great.

On day 2 of our stay and employee barged into our room without an invitation. His people skills were nonexistant. He started telling me I had to come with him to the desk because,which he repeated over and over your card ain't no good. Had I just stepped out of the shower, then what? Come to find out he had the WRONG room. He apologized profusely, but no one on the staff ever addressed the issue or even offered an apology. I guess they didn't know better and possibly call us? Completely unacceptable. Worst experience ever with a hotel stay.

Excellent hotel to stay at for location, friendliness and view of New Smyrna Beach!! The hotel is close to restaurants, shopping and amenities. It's a short walk to Flagler Avenue along the beach! There are no bad views of the beautiful sunrise!! We always enjoy our stay!! Relaxing and Restful!

We have been staying at this same hotel for well over 20 years, not always been BEST WESTERN , The Management here believes in keeping this property in prime condition, and it shows, every time we come back, something is NEW, Great Rooms Great Staff,

We've been coming here since before we got married and had kids. We love coming here and adding to our memories. This place has changed a lot. Nice improvements that have been done. One thing I would suggest is putting some blinds on the door to the balcony. Anyone can see in from the balcony next to you and the floor above. Other than that great as always!

We keep going back to this hotel because it has a great beachside location, very friendly staff, large, comfortable rooms with great views. There is plentiful parking, restaurant for breakfast and lunch and plenty of nearby eateries within walking distance for dinner. Love getting up and being able to walk on the beach as the sun comes up.

We enjoyed two days and nights at this hotel. It has a lovely view of the ocean and the rooms are comfortable. Our room had a full size refrig and microwave. There is a nice sun deck and pool. Staff is pleasant and friendly. The restaurant offers another beautiful view and the breakfasts are good.

The staff was courteous. The room was clean however both elevators did not work and the stairs had just been painted so access to the upper floors was very slow. Overall a nice place to stay. Excellent location and clean rooms.

Pros: Location; Excellent - Service; very Good. Restaurant; good for breakfast or lunch. Unlike a previous review, I did not see any bugs. Staff; Friendly. Cons: Pool; although never used too small and looks like it was an afterthought. Elevators, ugh, we were there for 6 days, one elevator was out of service the entire time, everyone shared the same elevator, employees and guests, long wait times, and crowded. The room was clean, but if you were in your room when they wanted to clean, they never came back, it did have a slight musty smell. the AC on the deck never bothered us. The couch was pretty stained, we didn't sit on it. For the amount of time we spent in the room it was fine, would I go back, NOPE.

Great location and good deal on room...You cannot believe the glorious view of the water and beach from the rooms at this place...We were very happy with the rooms and service. With the close walking proximity to great things to do, it's a deal. Sad the restaurant was closed but we were less than a mile walk down the beach to Flagler Avenue and all the fun shops and bars and restaurants there so no issue for us. We will be back here soon!

Picked this hotel from a list of recommended hotels during the New Smyrna Jazz Festival. Hotel was nicer than expected. Check in was fast, room was clean and comfortable. Would have been nice if some type of breakfast was included. Free coffee was available in the lobby however not the best. Location is convenient to everything. Hotel on the beach and every room has an ocean view. Would stay here again.

The layout of the hotel is very strange. There was a great deal of construction work going on around the pool and other areas of the hotel. We did see a rather large roach in our room crawling on the floor during the daylight hours. Makes you wonder what happens at night when the lights are out and you're are sleeping.

As soon as I walked in, it reeked of rotten potato smell and got progressively worse. Too much mold!! Beware, they do NOT honor the AARP discount. Everytime I've stayed here, the elevators are out of order and they always have some excuse. The air-conditioners are too noisy on the balconies; they should be on the roof like most buildings in NSB. And that back door will take your hand off if you are not very careful!

We have stayed at this hotel for the last 9 years. Each year, we are always impressed with the new improvements that have been made. The staff always goes out of their way to make our stay enjoyable! The rooms all have a nice kitchen area, and all rooms have a full ocean view. It's always very clean and well-appointed. We plan to continue our annual stay for the foreseeable future! It's right on the beach but is still quiet and peaceful.

Very relaxing stay. The stuff is extremly friendly and the rooms are really big. Room rate is absolutley apropriete. The lobby is brand new and very tastful. I always enjoy my stay and looking forward to return next year.

Fantastic time with a pre Dorian romp. The beach was empty and a great visit. So only one elevator worked after 5 days. I hope it gets fixed. Other than waiting a life time for elevator the staff was great

We needed a one night stay until our condo was available.... This is a nice place. I would prefer to stay on the higher floors for the best view. It's on the beach and all rooms are suites, with kitchenette. Very clean and comfortable.

What a great time we had. We stayed in an oceanfront room that had a king bed, little kitchenette, living room and 2 balconies. It was exceptionally clean and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was very nice and you can park your car in their covered parking garage underneath the hotel. This will be our go to hotel for a relaxing getaway.

Stayed here twice this month, both stays were just for one night. Rooms are huge with separate living and sleeping. Very nice balcony with oceanfront views and living room. Bathroom was clean and the whole room was well appointed. The pool was beautiful and big enough for us adults to stay away from the kiddie splashers. Employees were kind, helpful. Nice covered parking available on site. The elevator is SLOW so don't be in a hurry. We used the stairs (to the 7th floor) each time if that tells you how painfully slow the wait for the elevators was. Both times we stayed here one of the elevators was broken. Would stay again if in the area. Will recommend to others.

Superb positioned hotel on the beach and main Flagler st..lovely modern rooms and nice feel to the place.. really happy until we went to bed and the noise from the aircon was like a freight train coming through the room! After trying to cope with it , at 1am in the morning we gave up and went to reception The staff couldn't have been more helpful, they moved us to another room for the night (apologies I can't remember his name but the tall Russian guy was very very helpful and friendly) We then had a call and an email from the manager, Jessica Vangas , who was really execellent and sympathetic and once again helped us out and treated us as her personal guests, thank you Jessica Overall a really good hotel, just sort the aircon in 440!!!!!

Overall a pleasant experience . One of the two elevators was broken with lines at the second one . We wanted to take the little ones to the beach before school started . They had a great time being able to stay in a motel on the beach . No free breakfast .

Spent a few days here & didn't want to leave We had the best view from both of our balconies. Pool was small but nice . Didn't eat at restaurant so can't speak to that but lots of dining choices near by. Full size fridge in room was a bonus . Will stay again

Rooms are large, and all have balconies with an oceanfront view. Staff were all pleasant and helpful. Our suite was large and it was nice to have a kitchenette with a refrigerator-freezer, microwave, and sink. The lighting in the rooms is too dim, particularly around the kitchenette and bathroom. Loud drilling (or maybe jackhammers) from construction or maintenance work a floor or two below us woke us up each morning. We didn't use the pool, but there's a nice deck overlooking the beach a few steps down from the pool area. There is no sign of recycling in guest rooms or common areas at this hotel.

So unhappy with my stay after I called the hotel and asked questions and then they lied to me. The pool is a joke, 90 percent of the pool is only 3 feet deep with a small area that is 4 feet deep. It is a baby pool. I asked about the pool in advance and they lied. Be honest. It is tiny and crowded and not enough chairs for this baby pool. The room was just ridicules, the beds are in the back and every hotel I have ever stayed at you could sit in bed and see out the windows, the room is oddly shaped and has wasted space for a weird hallway. Old fridge that doesn't keep anything cold, a microwave that only worked part of the time. Old decor from the 70's, wear shoes on the carpet or end up with black feet or black socks, thin walls and hear everything in the hallways. The "restaurant' which has I think I counted 7 tables in it, was always closed for some reason, had a sign posted near the elevators. Elevators that were slow, made noise and one worked half the time. Only two elevators for the entire hotel and the wait was very long because of so many people in the hotel and the workers used them too and the maids used them to move their cleaning carts from floor to floor. There is no way to control the temperature in the room, they have it locked, so the room temp was either too hot or too cold and the air conditioner on the balcony was so loud you could not hear anything but the air and it blew out hot air. The door is a heavy door, not a sliding glass door and I about threw my back out opening it. The view from the room was ok, ok in that I got a partial view of the beach but mostly a view of the parking lot and the roofs of the homes next door that were just ugly. But the number one complaint and I asked if it was a private beach and was told yes is a lie. The hotel is behind a public beach that allows people to drive up and down the beach and park on the beach. So you have to dodge constant traffic to get to the beach and find a spot where a car is not parked and hopefully your stuff doesn't get ran over like mine did. The smell of exhaust fumes while sitting on the beach is not good, you hear the cars more than the sound of waves and my view of the beach from my room was a bunch of cars on the beach. I will never stay here again. Also the entire 5 nights we were there, they were doing construction from 8 am till 6 pm and you heard jackhammers and hammering all day.

Comfortable ocean view room (room 612), nice and clean. It didn't have a towel bar at the bathroom sink, making it necessary to step into the shower area (separate area with door) to hang and retrieve the hand towel. Inconvenient, but not a deal breaker. We found the a/c and the fridge a little to loud at night, and let the front desk know. The systems were functioning okay, just a little loud for sleeping well. Earplugs helped. Enjoyed being right ON THE BEACH for early morning and late evening walks. Lunch in the restaurant at the hotel was okay for lunch. Didn't use the pool; it was constantly being used, and was not very large. The deck facing the ocean is nice, with umbrella covered tables; a good place to sit in the afternoon in the shade from the hotel building, with a cool drink and a game of backgammon. Take beach chairs if you can; there is a private vendor on the beach at the hotel...not affiliated with the hotel...and the rate is $35 to set up two lounge chairs, a small table, and umbrella. We bought two beach chairs for $15 each at the Walgreens around the corner and brought them home with us. The hotel provides pool/beach towels. Be sure to return them to the desk or you will be charged for them. There is limited parking beneath the hotel, which is nice to keep the car from baking in the sun in the outside lot. Overall, a very nice couple of nights to get our beach fix! We will return.

Very comfortable room, more like a one bedroom apartment with good separation between bedroom and living room; kitchenette was a surprise; very comfortable beds; clean. Staff welcoming and friendly. Ample parking. Deck area near pool allowed for easy access to beach.

We took our two grandsons ages 4 & 6 to spend the night. Shirley greeted us at the desk, noted my wrist was bleeding and immediately got me a few bandages. She would put a smile on anyone's face. We went to our 2 bedroom suite with a sitting area and kitchenette. The boys were overjoyed with their room with the 2 "big" beds and a hallway to the sitting room. We went out on the little balcony and watched people and cars driving on the beach. The boys thought that was crazy funny! There were TV's in each bedroom and one in the sitting room. They declared the hotel the best ever and that made us happy & "Good Grandparents"

We were surprised to find such a large room; three rooms to be exact. A large bathroom, a bedroom and then the living area. It has a full refridgerator, microwave, coffee pot, dining table, couch and chairs. The view of the beach was superb with a balcony and chairs to enjoy. I could not have been more pleased.

This hotel was a Holiday Inn which has been renovated by Best Western. I made a reservation for Sun June 9 to Wed. June 12., 2019. I was picking up my 2 grandsons from Gainesville Airport and planned on driving to the Best Western. Their plane was due in at 1:30 pm. However, it did not arrive until 8:00 p.m. due to bad weather and maintenance issues. I knew by mid-afternoon that I would not be able to drive to New Smyrna Beach that day (I am a senior citizen and do not drive that far at night) . I called the hotel and explained my situation. The girl who answered the phone told me that I would be charged for that night as heir cancellation policy is ...well, I was told by 2 different people - one was 24 hours and one was 48 hours. I was NOT cancelling the rest of the nights. We arrived at the hotel the next day. The hotel was very nice - my room had 2 bedrooms and 1 large bathroom, as well as a living room/kitchen area. The hotel was right on the beach , and the room faced the ocean. The room was very clean - however, that night I found a live roach running around. It was 10:00 at night and I called the front desk. A maintenance man came up and sprayed. The spray worked and the rest of my stay I only found dead ones! I was told it was because we must have left the door to the balcony open and that's how they come in. I wished that they had sprayed BEFORE I arrive and also warned me not to leave it open. The hotel does not provide chairs/umbrellas on the beach. However for $25 I got an umbrella and 1 chair. The beach is very nice. Their pool, although not very large, was also nice. They have a restaurant in the hotel which was convenient for lunch since we were in our bathing suits. I found the staff to be very friendly - I did not address my cancellation issue until I arrived home, I sent an email to the Best Western's main office and also to the owner of this hotel. I never heard from the hotel However, the main office contacted the hotel and they stuck by their cancellation policy. We liked staying there , but would hesitate to stay there again considering their cancellation policy - we never know what might happen - and I ended up spending an extra $350 - hotel in Gainesville was $150 and the empty room at Best Western was $200

Hotel , location restaurant was awesome. We will be back. Our bedroom in the suite was musty but other than that it was awesome. Loved the views from room and restaurant. Beach is fantastic.The front desk staff were pleasant and helpful.

Great location, comfortable rooms, very friendly staff. Very much enjoyed our stay. Our family came to Florida for a baseball tournament. Chose New Smyrna Beach location for beach and reasonable proximity to the baseball complex. The Best Western was our home away from home. We look forward to returning and would recommend to others.

We have been staying here many times over the years. We are from the UK & we love NSB. As soon as we walked into the entrance we noticed the new fresh remodelled look. We arrived early ( couldn't wait to get there) our room wasn't ready , so we quickly changed & sat by the pool. Gone is the brown carpet in the corridors, replaced with a smart new floor covering. The only negative point was it causes an echo & some guests aren't as quiet as they could be when arriving back late. I understand the rooms are to be upgraded, this will be a great addition to the rest of the hotel as it is looking a little ‘ dated' . Nevertheless we would return as it feels like home.

Only stayed one night, but wish it could have been longer. When we checked in, I asked if there was a good view of the ocean from our room. I was then put into a room with a better view just by asking. The rooms are extremely spacious and comfortable. Great beds. Nice to have a restaurant on the 2nd floor - but it's only open until 3 PM.

This Hotel was terrific. The room was amazing it was like a suite. Clean nicely decorated and comfortable. The staff was so helpful and everyone so friendly. The restaurant was clean great staff very good food at great prices. Will definitely come back here.

This well-loved hotel is very convenient and the staff makes it 4 stars even tho the room carpet was musty. Manager says that's the next to be updated so when that happens it's a solid 4 star experience

From the moment getting out the car till the moment getting back in the car the stay was great. The whole attmosphere was a pleasure. The ladies that checked me in were very nice. The place was clean, the room was more than expected and everything was very nice. If I was in the area again, I would definitely stay there and would recommend it to anyone that is in the area.

My family and I stayed at this hotel for the 4th of July weekend. They claim to be a “smoke free” hotel but their designated smoke areas are at both entrances so the first thing you smell walking into the hotel is cigarette smoke. Check in was easy, but by the end of our first night I noticed my 10 month olds hands, feet and knees were covered in black from crawling on the carpet. I informed the front desk attendant when we checked out and she was incredibly rude, another employee over heard the conversation and apologized for the inconvenience, my sons hands were covered in black! That is not an “inconvenience” that is poor cleanliness and a potential health hazard depending on what it was that caused his feet, knees and hands to be black. Also throughout our stay, room service was 30 minutes past the time they told me it would arrive. I called to check the status of my food and the waiter told me she went to the wrong room but would warm my food up in the microwave and bring it up to me... If you would like a clean hotel with friendly and prompt customer service, do not stay here!

This was my sixth year in a row to stay here and it was a pleasure as always. I feel like New Smyrna is my second home and this hotel makes me feel at home. Alex is the best I was impressed that he remembered my name and it had been over a year since I stayed here. All the staff are so friendly and make you feel welcome. The remodel on the lobby is great. My only suggestion would be to update the sofa and chairs in the rooms. I can't wait until my next visit in March 2020 God willing. Thank you Alex and all the staff for making my stay great as usual.

Our family stayed here for the first time this year and we love the place.... with an exception, which may just be a rotten apple staff member. We usually stay at the Springhill Suites a bit farther north but decided to give BW a try. Not a bad decision. We booked rooms with a breakfast package included. The vouchers were not given to us upon check-in and we thought nothing of it and just assumed that we go to breakfast. When we went to the front desk this morning to get breakfast information, the desk clerk told my son-in-law that they don't have anything like that. I had to send him a snapshot of my reservation confirmation showing that it was a reservation that included breakfast. She then said, "Oh yes, we do have vouchers. I will have to get them." She then produced six pre-printed BW $10 discount vouchers for the onsite Seascape restaurant. Ummmm.... So, temper your expectations. This is NOT free breakfast for six. It is $10 off and they MAY not mention it if you don't ask. I thought that this was a rather underhanded business practice. Had I not asked and we paid for breakfast, this would have been double dipping by the hotel.... I already paid extra for the room to include breakfast, then had we paid for breakfast, that would have been double payment for breakfast and no staff member would had intervened on my behalf. My family just told me that it also took FOREVER to get food. JUST BEWARE of the breakfast deal. Feels like an attempt to bait and switch. Otherwise, this is a fantastic property and location!!!

The view and access to the beach wasn't great. The rooms are way over priced. The front desk staff were pleasant, professional, friendly and nice. The AC didn't work and the repairman didn't fully check it out; instead blamed the problem on a chair that had been placed in front of the unit. Need better AC system.

Hotel has been beautifully remodeled! Onsite breakfast overlooking ocean is a must experience. Walking distance to Flagler Avenue for shopping and eats. Rooms are spacious and each room is ocean view!

I would highly recommend staying at the new Smyrna Best Western hotel on the beach. Our Room was very large with a view of the ocean as I think most rooms have a view of the ocean. The staff was friendly. The building and our Room were extremely clean and the parking was free. of charge

Motel is in a great location on the beach.Wonderful service and friendly staff. Motel was very clean. It has large decks with plenty of seating. Beautiful pool. Easy access to the beach. A restaurant is located on the second floor of the motel. I would definitely stay here again one day.

We stayed one night only but the room was clean,the beds comfortable, and a great ocean view. We even had a kitchen! Seascapes restaurant has great Ocean views for breakfast! The pool was clean and the staff was very helpful.

We booked the King suite with family room for our stay. The room was amazing! There were two balconies and the family room had a pull out couch that our 4 year old loved sleeping on. The room was very clean and we were impressed with the housekeeping. Every time we passed an employee they greeted us with a smile. The check in process was a breeze and the people at the front desk were wonderful too. We sat on the balcony at night and watched lightning from afar and my husband was able to watch the rocket launch at NASA. There were also safety locks on the balcony doors that made it impossible for our child to slip out. We were all sad to leave. My daughter was almost ready eyed asking why did we have to leave. We were leaving for Disney and couldn't believe she wanted to stay!

Wow! What a nice hotel! The customer service is the best I've ever come across, the view is amazing, location top notch. The only issues: shower was super narrow and didn't drain well. The shower curtain kept attacking me. A curved shower rod would fix the issue. Only other complaint is there is way too much light in the room that could be fixed with blackout curtains. Hotel room we had faced SE which gets the direct morning sun this time of the year. Blinds on the windows and balcony door were subpar to attempt to keep out some of the intense sun.

The rooms were nice and spacious. The balcony came with a partial ocean view. Seating was adequate and comfortable and bathroom was spacious. Could use softer sheets and a toaster but overall great stay.

I usually stay at the Marriott Spring Hill Suites on Flager, however, their prices have gone up and I could not get a room for our dates requested. Not only did Best Western have bigger rooms with better views of the ocean with a large balcony, that accommodated more people, but they had separate bedrooms as well, with a double bed in one and two double beds in another and a pullout couch. The restaurant for breakfast and lunch is small, but has a great view of the ocean from second floor. The beach was less crowded this way, although it was during the week.

Our group had a blast at the BW. Friendly staff, nice breakfast, clean and roomy rooms and of course each room had a balcony with a fantastic view! We didn't use the pool or pool deck, but there was plenty of room if we had wanted too. One suggestion is that the a/c unit is on the balcony and is noisy when on...kinda breaks the "beach vibe"

Great location. Wonderful service. The staff is so nice and welcoming. The location is perfect. The rooms are perfect for a relaxing stay with family. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Best value on NSB!

Stay here a least twice a year for over 7 days. People are the best. Had a issue with front desk personnel at check in that was handled by Lilly in sales. Kevin and evening crew are the best. Tabitha and housekeeping took care of all our needs with a smile. Great views of ocean. Had family visit and had no issues with them using pool with us. Had issues with bathroom and John from mant. was prompt and fixed the problem fast. noise on balcony from AC unit is out weighted by view. Beds were soft and easy to sleep on. Only down point is couch and chairs in living area have been there for a long time, but we did not spend a lot of time in room or watching tv. access to beach easy, but sign needs to be larger and in better view when gates are locked due to pool not open. There were more that a few unhappy people that could not get to beach due to locked gate and no sign telling them why and how to get to beach. Will be back again and again as long as people stay the same friendly folks.

Great location, easy access to the pool, beach, restaurants, Publix. Parking was great.... under the building so the car was cool when we would go places. Although it says ocean view... some rooms have a better view than others.

This hotel was definitely a good value. We had an ocean front room, top floor, bedding was very nice and room was clean. The room could use a new coat of neutral paint, like they have used in the corridors, but other than that I can't complain. Would stay here again.

After spending four days at Disney World, we decided to stop at New Smyrna Beach for a few days of relaxation. I must say, this Best Western Beachfront provided that very need! It totally exceeded my expectation with the layout of the room and the amenities available. It's so spacious with a separate living room and bedroom. The kitchen area was so convenient! We enjoyed sitting on our veranda watching the ocean. The staff is so friendly and greet you with a smile and a “hello” each time you enter. This was my daughters' first visit to the ocean and I am grateful to have chosen this place to introduce them to it. This is definitely a place for the family!

First of all, we can't say enough about the staff. They were friendly, efficient and made sure we were well taken care of during our stay. The young man who greeted us at the desk was simply amazing. He made sure we knew everything about the hotel and made suggestions for things to do nearby. The hotel manager treated us like royalty even though we had never met him before. The staff was smiling and greeted us each time we passed through the hotel lobby and made sure everything was up to par. Our room was super clean; our view spectacular and the balconies were immaculate and fully equipped with chairs and small tables. A from the front desk even called to be sure we knew where the linens were for the pull-out couch. He also made sure to tell us that we could use express checkout, hence making checkout very easy. Though we were sad when our stay ended!

We had stayed at this hotel previously and were happy with the location and the service, We expected the same but saw the hotel was upgraded and the level of service had been stepped up as well. The location right on the beach is great. The close location to numerous shopping and dining options is great. The staff is all friendly and inviting

Older hotel on ocean. Very clean. Every room had at minimum an ocean view proving to be very relaxing. All rooms have suite accommodations and breakfast and lunch on-site restaurant. .The staff was very nice, helpful and polite.

This hotel is definitely not worth the hype. It was very expensive, outdated, and VERY dirty. The hallways and front desk area and nice and remodeled, but that is not representational of the rooms themselves. The staff are friendly. The room was filthy and outdated. For the price I should have stayed somewhere else. The bathroom floor looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years. There's no excuse for a build up of grime. The walls and furniture were honestly grosse. This hotel is a great location but the huge lack of updating the rooms and basic cleanliness make it an overpriced mistake.

Very clean with friendly staff. Recently remodeled. I loved that all the halls had hard surfaces. Seems like a no brainer but I don't know how many expensive hotels I've been in with old dirty hall carpet. The carpet in the room looked new and was very clean. Nice bed, nice balcony. The kitchen was a bonus. We asked for a multiple cup coffee maker and it was waiting for us in the room. We spent a lot of time on the balcony, and it would have been nice to have chairs a little more comfortable. Very nice quiet location. Sunrises were beautiful. I will be back for sure.

I return at least once a year, and will only stay at this fine hotel. Perfect location and perfect access to area restaurants and attractions. Perfect view and perfect hospitable staff. Looking forward to returning again.

We were pleased with our stay this past week. The room was huge! 2 double bed suite w/ ocean view balcony. The room was very clean. We did experience a problem with slow a drain in the tub and toilet flushing but other than that it was a good hotel! The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel. The price was good for the room we got. If we come back we will be looking to stay again!

I get it no smoking is allowed on the property. There needs to be some accommodation when wedding parties from all over the country are coming to stay at your hotel. He needs to be a no problems Gathering area. If you want return customers for like events sometimes lack in certain areas is okay. I watched and watched security go around and around the building just looking for problems just seeking out problems with people smoking. A bit ridiculous.

If you like a view of the ocean from your balcony this is the place to stay. Hotel is very nice and clean with plenty of restaurants in walking distance. The beds are very comfortable with plenty of space.

We always stay at this Best Western when we are in New Smyrna Beach. We have seen it change SO MUCH over the years. We are very pleased and happy with all the changes that have been made. We are looking forward to going back sonn.

We booked this hotel online for a week long vacation. The reviews seemed great and the rooms looked big enough to accommodate our family of five. The start of our vacation began with plane delays so we arrived late at night. Unloaded our entire vehicle and three tired kids, got up to our room and realized it smelled dirty as soon as we opened the door. We started to look around the room and seen all three beds were NOT queen size beds. They were small, way too small for two adults to share one! There was a mirror just thrown up on a door in the bathroom, crooked. We didn't use the bathroom and there was already dried toothpaste from the last guest in the sink. The fridge was all rusty and dirty, had an old key card on top along with someone else's food crumbs. Absolutely disgusting vents that haven't been cleaned in a very long time. I will include photos. It's great that they have balconies...but their ac unit is on the balcony taking up most of the room and so loud that you couldn't hear yourself think or enjoy the sound of the ocean. Needless to say, we packed up all of our luggage and the three kids and told the front desk it was not acceptable. There is no way we could have stayed there for even one night. The smell alone made me nauseous. I was willing to sleep in our vehicle for the night over staying there...luckily, even though it was in the middle of the night we found a hotel that would take us for the week. Spring Hill suites right up the road. They were clean and beautiful rooms. What a relief!!!

We have been visiting New Smyrna Beach for many years and this Best Western is the perfect Beach location. It has awesome views, a great beach, and yummy restaurants in walking distance. I will definitely continue to return every year.

This was my second time staying here. Nothing to write home about. I love how large the rooms are and each room has a balcony facing the beach. The rooms feel old and stuffy. Having a kitchenette is wonderful. You need to have a corkscrew in the room! The staff are very friendly and helpful.

The location is perfect. There was plenty of places to show and eat within walking distance. I went for a week and didn't have to use my car the entire week. The beach is right outside of the hotel and there are plenty of places to sit around the hotel to watch the beach if you don't want to get a chair and sit on the sand. The staff was super friendly and there were always people around to help or answer questions. Will definitely be heading back!

Great experience at Best Western. Ample parking with under building parking and lots on both sides of building. Easy pool and beach access. Our room was very nice with Atlantic Ocean view from our balcony. We had a room with 2 queen beds that slept great! The staff is very accommodating and friendly. We had breakfast at Restaurant on site. Only complaint would be the wait to get a table, otherwise food was great!

The hotel staff is amazing. Couldn't be more helpful. The location is near everything you would need. The rooms were clean and well laid out. The only negative i could say is that the living room furniture could use updating for style. But it was very comfortable. loved this place and would definitely go back and recommend highly!

If your are looking for a place directly at the beach, this is the place to be. Every room has sea view and balcony. Staff is super friendly and helps you with recommendations whenever needed. Rooms are large, clean, and comfortable. The hotel is directly at the beach and Flagler Avenue (with all the restaurants) is a 10 minute walk. We stay at this hotel regularly and can highly recommend it!

We stayed at the Best Western New Smyrna Beach for 3 nights in February. We had a really nice suite with a separate bedroom, a kitchenette and sofa bed. Great view of the ocean from the balcony. Helpful staff at the front desk. It would have been nice if the pool was heated but we enjoyed our stay anyway.

The weather was terrible, but the hotel and staff were amazing. The rooms, lobby and pool area are all very clean. This hotel is in a great central location in New Smyrna Beach, we could walk to several locations. We will be back for some fun in the sun!!!

I have stayed here before but never done a review. They have a nice location on the beach and you can easily walk to town, maybe a 1/2 mile. I booked directly through the hotel (no discount site) and requested a room closer to the beach and not over a parking lot. We were able to check in early, however, we were given 202 (they were booked), over a parking area, not near the beach. We also discovered that this room is on top of the laundry so the floor vibrates during the day when the cleaning staff is there. The kitchenette has a panel where maybe a dishwasher used to be, did not look nice. It seems as if they tried to update the place but the building is old and you can only do so much. The employees were all very kind, but I do not think I will stay here again. There are too many other choices.

Book early for best rate Be polite to the staff, they are going out of their way for you! Our experience was very good. The view and accommodations were exceptional. I would recommend this hotel/suite to anyone.

We stayed for a few days during spring break. My husband surprised me with a quick trip and this is what he picked because it was 5 of us. This room says it sleeps 8. that would be very tight. The room has two full beds in one room and a full in another, which we called the cave because it had no windows. Only one bathroom and a very small living area. Small kitchen is nice. There is a small sleeper sofa but half way through the night I closed it up and my 6 foot son sleep on the sofa closed. Both ways were really not comfortable. My husband slept in the cave I moved in with my daughter into a full size bed because I could not stay in that room reminded me of an small inside cabin on a cruise ship. This is a three star hotel and because of its location an great views from our room I will give it that. I tried to spend as much time as I can on the balcony or on the beach. Balcony has the AC Unit for the room and is loud. Room was depressing. Maybe a paint job and new furniture would help. The restaurant on the second floor is very good for breakfast. Food is good but not free. Breakfast for 5 was about $60.00 with tip. Kids could not swim in the pool. It was freezing. My children are from Florida and I guess if you are from up north the pool is refreshing.. It is a bit of a walk from the Flagler ave area but that was fine. This could be a great 4 star hotel if they updated their rooms and perhaps rearranged the cave area by adding a window even if it only looked out into the hallway. This is the beach and I would expect a beach style décor. Everything is Brown. It suited our needs for two nights however I will not let my husband do the booking in the future.

We were charged for smoking in our room and never once smoked in our room. This is the worst thing I've ever felt with at a hotel. There's a scam on google about being charged for smoking in guest rooms if even a whiff of smoke is thought to have come from your room. No proof, when actually you can always see the maid staff outside in guest areas smoking and smelling of smoke when they are cleaning the rooms. A big disappointment!

Very comfortable, great view. Wonderful staff.That said, the kitchenette is just a microwave with a few pieces of cheap cutlery. I was offended and disturbed by the enormous amount of waste. Paper cups wrapped individually in plastic. The restaurant uses styrofoam.

Best Western at New Smyrna Beach is one of our "go to" overnight escapes. Right on the beach and an easy walk to great restaurants and bars. Only an hour from our home in Orlando! Staff is very friendly and the rooms have a GREAT view of the Atlantic. Beautiful sunrise!!!

We've always liked Best Westerns house policies and even though this particular one Varies a bit is far is free breakfasts ....there is a small fee,The staff is friendly , Professional and the best. The room was large, comfortable and clean. Seventh floor balcony view! We plan on returning.

I stayed here just overnight after going to Daytona for the day. The hotel was nice, quiet and to the point. My room was on the 7th floor with an ocean view. The balcony is nice with an amazing view of the Atlantic. It was night when I checked in and the weather was terrible so I wasn't able to really take advantage of the views. The hotel is literally on the beach. Overall the hotel was just fine and wish I could have stuck around the area a bit longer.

We stayed here for 16 nights and were thoroughly impressed by the staff, location, size of the rooms and the ocean view. The check-in with Alex was so quick and smooth and he went out of his way to make us feel welcome. He was also very quick and accommodating when we asked to move to the sunny side of the building a couple of days later. We also had great service from the cleaning staff and the front desk staff whenever we made requests for special accommodations for our friends who had also booked a hotel room, for copies, for change for the laundry machines etc. We loved being right on the beach and being able to walk to Walgreens, Publix, restaurants and even a nail salon. We are definitely going to come back here.

We stayed here for 5 nights, and were so pleased with our choice for lodging in New Smyrna Beach. We were in an oceanfront suite on an upper floor, and we had beautiful views of the ocean! Our two room suite was so homey and comfortable, and there were even two balconies! We enjoyed eating at the Seascape Restaurant three times, which also had beautiful views. It was handy having a restaurant right in the hotel. We also thought the hotel was in a great location for restaurants and shops on Flagler Street. One morning, we decided to drive our car on the beach and that was a fun experience. So relaxing and peaceful with the quiet beach! I did a lot of research on various lodgings, before we settled on this great hotel. We were so happy with this hotel.....it was the perfect choice for us!!

This is a Best Western so dont expect top notch accommodations and you will truly enjoy. Room desperately needed some handyman attention (heater in living room didn't work, bathroom door water rotted and blinds broken) but the view was FANTASTIC!! Lots of remodel in lobby and at pool. It would have been nice to know that. Couldn't use the pool most of our stay, either due to weather or jack hammering - Ugh. A little compensation for visitors (rate reduction, breakfast comp. Etc) would have gone a long way. We did not complain however, given the fantastic room view, we had oceanfront king with two balconies, and the great staff. The restaurant for breakfast, right on the ocean, cant be beat. It's a 0.07 mile walk to flagler, and nice walk on the beach. Plenty of restaurants and bars and a publix even close by. I would definately return to New Smyrna and stay at this hotel if ever I do.

For the good news, the checkin was easy, friendly, and efficient. The lobby is not attractive, or a place to gather. We were on floor 3, which had a distinctly unpleasant odor in the windowless hallway. Luggage carts, located in the basement to be retrieved and returned, were difficult to get out of the elevator due to narrow and obstructed landings, and ice machines are located on two floors, 4 and 8. Our "Ocean View Suite" consisted of an inside sleeping area that had a "window" to the sitting area, which had a small window to the small balcony, which shares space with an A/C unit. These two rooms were inexplicably separated by an angular hallway, which served no purpose other than to make the rooms smaller. Our "Ocean View" is obstructed by many buildings and a pool. In the morning, the electricity went out in the middle of my shower, which placed me in complete darkness since there are no windows. In fact, the entire "Suite" only had one actual exterior window, very small. Beds were adequately comfortable.

The location of this Best Western is great. Almost every room has an ocean view. Our king suite was directly on the beach with a kitchenette. Although an older hotel and a bit worn, the price is right. They have a small restaurant, no bar. Breakfast, lunch and dinner menu is good. Everyone we dealt with was friendly and attentive. A good find in New Smyrna Beach.

I have to start by saying I generally avoid BWs because of the inconsistency of the experience, but I was looking for a place close to a friends house for a few nights and stayed here. It's on the beach and convenient to a ton of stuff. The front desk staff were very friendly, parking was a breeze, the hallways were light and modern, and my ocean front room was clean and comfortable. A larger frig and a microwave were a bonus.

we have been going here for years we really like New Smyrna Beach it s a very quiet and relaxing beach. its a great place to go and relax very family friendly as well. beautiful beach all the conveniences close or nearby lots of good places to eat.

We had a wonderful stay here. It was only for one night, but I wish it has been longer because of how great it was here. The staff was very friendly and accomodating, the room was very nice and clean, the view was beautiful, and the beach was very clean. We will definitely go back for our next visit.

We just returned from 7 days at this hotel. We were pleasantly surprised by the size and layout of the rooms. The location is convenient to a grocery, Flageler St and the view from the balcony was wonderful. The staff professional, polite and a pleasure to see each day. The hotel is being updated, and they made sure that guests had minimal inconvenience.

I almost don't want to tell anybody about what a great value staying at Best Western New Smyrna Beach is because I don't want anything to change. I hate crowds! But EVERY room is a suite, and every room had an ocean view, either north or south. I always ask where the sun is rising when I book my room. Sunrises there are spectacular! Plus, if you happen to be there when there is a rocket launch........

My partner and I booked for night . We were considering booking again for next night as room we were given was huge. Great location great staff, early check in . All was great huge room great facilities. Location right on the beach. We decided to sit on the balcony in the evening with sea view. We were ther around 20 mins a 2 huge cockroaches came skuttling around our feet. I understand there is work being done to hotel and it's normal in hot weather but while on our road trip we stayed in 12 different hotels and seen none. Moved inside and went to bed during night got up for a drink and there was another near refrigerator, which scattered unearthed when light went on. Other than that we had no complaints. Fantastic facsimile room , I just couldn't relax and decided not to book another night. Shame.

We stayed at this hotel and it was great. The rooms truly are suites, with separate living/kitchen area from bedroom. It was so convenient to have a true frig. Accommodations were clean and updated. The employees at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. Location is great! The only thing I would suggest is to heat the pool. I most definitely would have used it on the sunny days had it been heated. We will return to your hotel!

This hotel is located right on the beach. It would've been nice if they had beach chairs available, as they did not. The hotel is definitely old but they are remodeling it. The rooms are large, clean and have all the amenities you need. It was very inexpensive for the location, but I think that was due to the time of year and the fact that their lobby is currently undergoing a massive remodel. It is basically gone and the staff were literally working on a folding table. They still had coffee in the morning though.

Despite the extensive remodelling of the lobby we had a wonderful week. Had a suite which was ideal for 3 of us as sofa bed in lounge. Views from balcony on top floor overlooking beach were outstanding - particularly the sunrises (even saw rocket being launched from down the coast!). Rooms slightly dated - microwave but no hob which was disappointing. Staff were excellent and couldn't of been more helpful. Would visit again definitely!

Stayed based on trip advisor and it was spot on. Stayed in ocean side room. We had 2 large rooms and 2 balconies on ocean side great views up and down the beach. Amazed at how large rooms were. Very friendly staff. Very clean room

Hotel was under construction so it was messy in the lobby and a couple of my nights there was drilling and banging by the workers at about 8AM. I was on floor 2 so it was loud and woke up all my kids. The hotel restaurant had really good food but the staff is way understaff. We eat there twice and both days we spent 2 hours there each day . You will wait 20-30 minutes to be seated and another 10-15 once your seated. Each time you ask for something its another 5-10 minutes. Workers are really nice and work really hard but the need more staff ASAP.

It would be hard to find a hotel with more accommodating and friendly staff. The rooms are very much "condo-like" but with the full service of a hotel. All rooms have a great view of the ocean and beach access is right out the door. The facility is clean, wi-fi is good and water pressure was adequate. The BWI is certainly worth consideration if staying at NSB!

Hotel is going through renovations. This is not upscale or luxury and is at the very beginning of the beach so it's not really close to the cute downtown of New Smyrna. Room was spacious and relatively quiet and view was pretty but not full beachfront. However as we were getting in bed I noticed top comforters were both dirty and one was blood stained. The hotel staff was very accommodating and gave us fresh clean linens immediately but it was pretty gross and reaffirmed that many hotels don't change the top linens when patrons leave.

This hotel went beyond my expectations. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. everyone we talked to had a smile on their face and was willing to help. The rooms were amazing with the little kitchenette that was perfect for what we needed. We love the location just a few steps from the beach

Kevin, on the desk overnight, and Mike, the security guy,were both extremely friendly and helpful at check in.Tanesha and Ashley, in the restaurant, were both a delight!The housekeeping staff was on the ball, and very friendly.Our stay could not have been better!I would highly recommend this hotel!

Great weekend. friendly staff, great views from every room, suite style rooms made it easy to get going in the am - brought breakfast items along - for the day of the event. even though hotel was undergoing renovations it did not impede access or inconvenience our stay at all.

We just booked a room last minute through a third party site at the Best Western NSB. After I made the reservation, I noticed that I erroneously booked a suite with a king bed, when I needed 2 double beds. I called the third party booker and was told they couldn't do anything about the situation. I took a chance and called the Best Western and someone named Danny answered the phone. He was so helpful and kind. He said that actually, the third party booker was the one who could change my room preference, then he said, "let me see what I can do". He explained that a room with 2 beds was the same price as the one we booked. He said he thought he could change the room and he did! He changed the room for us and said he would be on duty when we checked in and to make sure and say hi to him. In this day and age, when everyone seems to offer less and less, Danny offered MORE! Best Western, you are lucky to have Danny as an employee!

Great BW, Friendly people, great location .Hvac was not working on check-in but was swapped out with another unit very quickly. Paint and decor was a little outdated, would like to see newer furniture, but unit was nice and clean.

I have always loved going to NSB with my family since I was young. This hotel is the best hotel in NSB. First off, you are right on the beach and every room has an ocean view. The rooms are very spacious and very clean. And a bonus, the bed is sooo comfy. We also like that there is a brand new mini kitchen and a coffee maker as well. There is a Publix near by, so there is no need to go out for expensive meals. The staff are also very welcoming and amazing. All in all, it's so relaxing and peaceful and just great! If you want a nice beach get away any time of the year at one of the best beaches in the world, head here! Don't be put away by the somewhat higher price, it's so worth it!

We always stay here when in this area; restaurant on premises with great views of ocean and great menu selections. Most suites have an ocean view, with balcony. Always clean, neat. Excellent front desk staff, especially Alex. He worked diligently to secure our specific needs, with reservations, the last time we stayed there. All staff is very helpful. We do not stay anywhere else!

We were very impressed with this hotel. The staff at this Best Western is one of the best groups of people we have experienced during hotel stays. From the phone reservations folks, to the check in staff, housekeeping and maintenance staff and all of the front desk crew - they were all exceptional and worked very hard to answer our many questions about NSB and help us to have a very nice vacation. Of particular note, we wish to thank Alex and his colleagues who were on duty with him for his willingness to accommodate all of our requests (early check in, a wonderful room, a nice birthday greeting) and to Dana (and her colleagues who were on duty with her) for her efforts to arrange a later check-out time, and showing us around). Our room was very comfortable, spacious with a "to die for" view of the ocean. While our room was ocean front, the ocean view rooms feel like ocean front. This hotel is literally on the beach with nothing in front of it. There is an on-site restaurant that serves good breakfasts and lunch. It is an older property, but it is clean and well maintained. The bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed the step-down living area which was separate from the bedroom. We appreciated the kitchenette with a decent sized refrigerator, microwave, sink and coffee maker. We will stay here again if we return. And thanks again to the exceptional customer service we received! Bravo.

From the beginning of my reservation, I had a great experience. Danny was exceptionally friendly and outgoing. He made us feel welcome. I enjoyed my stay at this hotel and would definitely go back because they had excellent customer service. The bed and bedding in the main room was wonderful. It was very comfortable and I wish I had that mattress at home. Wish I had checked to see where brandt. This hotel was a perfect match for me and my friends. It was right on the beach and we had a great view of the ocean and everything around it. The best part was seeing the sunrise on the beach. You can literally walk from the hotel on to the beach.

This is your basic VERY BASIC on the beach hotel. Nothing special except the beach. Pros: On the beach, pretty good breakfast/lunch restaurant on premises—breakfast not included. Cons: extremely poor lighting in bathroom, thin small bath towels, lack of outlets for charging phones, needs a facelift badly, exterior terrace area needs furniture and a power wash, carpets could use a cleaning, kitchenette includes 4 plastic dishes and bowls, and flimsy plastic cups. Overall, not impressed but the location is great.

Very nice stay in a former condo on the beach. There is plenty of room and the staff is very friendly. Asi is true in many hotels, the room could have benefited frion more light. I also would have enjoyed an openable window to hear the ocean overnight, we were reluctant to prop open the balcony door.

I stayed at this hotel for a wedding I was apart of the weekend of October 26, 2018. I personally had no issues with my room the same can not be said for the rest of my party. One of the families that was apart of our group had an issue with roaches in the room; when this was brought to the attention of house keeping they were told, “this is normal, it's Florida.”. I am sorry, I have lived in Florida for the past 4 years and my home does not have roaches crawling on the walls. I personally had an issue with security following me and my guests around the hotel. Two older white males who were acting as security for the evening of 10/28/2018 went as far as to block off the hallway and stare at my friends and I in an intimidating manner which made my friends afraid to pass them in the hall way. At the time of check out the bride went to the room to make sure she had gathered all of her belongings and do a general overview of the room prior to leaving. She arrived to the suite and found house keeping sitting on the bed playing on their phones. When they noticed her in the room they proceeded to make snide comments under their breath and mock the guests that were with her. Kelly one of the maids went as far as telling her, “the longer you stay here the more money I will charge you.”. I would like to point out that at no time during our stay we were never notified of ANY complaints. We also were able to dine at the restaurant that is in the hotel; the food was great however the service we received from our waitress was offensive. She made the comment, “Ugh, that hair, just looking at it gives me a headache.” about an 8 year old little girl who was too busy enjoying her pancakes to notice. Upon check out myself and 2 other guests requested to speak with a manager who was on duty. When we had made the request and told the young man why we wanted to speak with a manager he stepped to the back office and proceeded talk about us to the office staff, mocking us and again making snide offensive comments about us. After waiting finally Lilli Sheller came and requested to meet with us in her office where we could have some privacy and discuss what had happened. Everything from this point on went completely left. Once we sat with Ms.Sheller she proceeded to tell us of various complaints she has received from guests on our floor and accused us of smoking in our rooms. Which is untrue as EVERYONE was notified unpin check in that this is a nonsmoking hotel, as well as 3 of the guests who were apart of our party have severe asthma; none of us smoked inside of the room we either went into the beach where security proceeded to shine flashlights in our faces or to the public sidewalk. When we notified her that we had not received any complaints she had no answers as to why. She said we were fortunate to have received the rate we did because we did not meet the quota for a wedding booking. Mind you the only reason price was brought up is because no one expects to pay upwards of $130 to stay at a Best Western and have roaches crawling in your room and be treated they way we were. At NO POINT in time did we request any type of refund or discount however that is something that Ms. Sheller kept bringing up. I made an attempt to voice my concerns about the intimidation from security and she rolled her eyes and turned away from me. At this point I had enough and left her office. I have filed a complaint with Best Western and was unfortunate enough to have to correspond with Lilli Sheller. I have attached our emails and a photo of one of the roaches that was on the wall of one of our room. I would not recommend that anyone of any ethnic background or not heterosexual stay at this hotel; you will be very disappointed and not treated with respect.

My mom, aunt and I stayed here for four nights with three little kids. It couldn't have been a better experience or nicer stay. The rooms were huge and perfect for little people who need room to move. The beach is right outside the hotel and easy access! Each room has a balcony where our kids loved to watch the waves. The staff were all so very nice and accommodating to us and so patient with our little crew of kids. The rooms were very clean. Not one complaint. There were even two weddings while we were there and we didn't hear a thing. This is a perfect hotel and we will be back!!

This is a beautiful, immaculately maintained hotel. My husband and I were surprised by the large size of the suite (separate sitting area, well appointed kitchenette, cozy terrace to sit and enjoy the ocean view). We had a wonderful view of the ocean (the hotel is built so that EVERY room has a full ocean view), the beds were comfortable, and every staff member that we met was friendly and helpful, and seemed genuinely happy that we were there. This is a wonderful place to relax, walk the beach. and generally adopt New Smyrna Beach's laid back, beachy vibe. Loved this hotel ❤.

We stayed in a king single beachfront room. Our room was clean and had the most beautiful view you could imagine. Staff was super nice. Our balcony door got stuck and wouldn't close and maintenance was at our doorstep to fix it within 5 minutes. Steps from the beach. Would definitely stay here again.

The room had a terrible odor of mildew. (#707) My husband and I tried to spend the least amount of time in the room. The sofa had stains all over it. Best Western should be ashamed for leaving such a filthy piece of furniture in the room. The over all room, meaning bathroom/kitchen area was clean and the bed was comfortable. All staff was more then helpful at the front desk if asked for directions, etc. We would not return to this property.

This has to be the best place we have ever stayed anywhere. Super clean accommodations as well as spacious suites. Restaurant on site. I can't say enough about the staff either. Everyone we encountered on our stay were friendly and helpful. Not to mention the beautiful ocean views.

Great little hotel directly on the beach. Our suite had an anteroom/sitting room with a pull out couch, a chair, and another TV, which would be awesome if my wife and I had been traveling with our kids. Fridge in the room was helpful. Room was very clean and the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Our room had a direct oceanfront view, with a huge balcony (actually, two balconies) with chairs. Parking was easy. Nice pool, although not a lot of seating around it. No hot tub, which was a bit of a bummer. Decor in the room was a little dated but not bad. There are a lot of restaurants nearby (walkable), and grocery store/pharmacy are both close. My only "complaint" is that the beds were not terrible comfortable -- not awful, mind you, but not great. Otherwise it was a perfect location for a quick getaway directly on the ocean.

This hotel is in a perfect location for being close to everything one could need on a weekend or full stay vacation, yet, provides a quiet relaxing Ocean view, and Ocean front picturesque choice of rooms. The room included a full sized refrigerator, microwave, and coffee pot. I particularly liked the clean, wood look flooring, which is a plus for anyone with allergies. We recommend the restaurant for breakfast. The restaurant has a wide choice of breakfast selections, We enjoyed the delicious food, and the menu offers very reasonable pricing. The restaurant is also accessible from the parking lot to others staying in the area. There was only one thing that comes to mind, as a heads up to know ahead of time, the pool is only 4 ft deep. To those swimming in the ocean, this detail won't bother you.

I read the reviews about the great staff, amenities and location of this hotel and it was still far better than expected. Everything was perfect! (except for the weather). We will definitely be heading back to this hotel in the near future.

Had a great ocean front room and all the staff were friendly and helpful. Used the on site restaurant and food was plentiful and good. There was more that adequate parking both outdoor and in garage. Will stay there again.

Stayed here after recent trip to Disney wanted some R&R on the beach before heading home. Read a lot of the reviews and with all things considered figured I'd give it a shot as I wanted something directly on the water. Promptly checked into my room and was a little disappointed as I thought the two bedroom suite would have two bathrooms but there was only one bathroom for the group of us to use. The next disappointing thing was I thought the master suite would have a king size bed but it was only a full or queen. Maybe I should have read the amenities or room description better when booking so this is probably my fault. As for the room it was clean but was starting to show it's age and a bit dated. Pain color is dark and the CFL lights are dated and dim. The kitchen was nice to have and there was adequate room for families but again the master bedroom was small, I think the master bathroom at the suite we had at the place we stayed near Disney was bigger than this bedroom. All things considered it was what I wanted, directly on the water so we spent most of or time on the beach anyway. If I where to vacation in this area again I would probably look for something with two bedrooms and a king size bed in the master room for the price I paid here I think I might be able to find something if not I would probably stay here again, the location the pool and the ocean are huge plus for this place.

The hotel is super nice with a great view of the ocean. Every staff member we came in contact with was super friendly! Excellent customer service. We got a room with two rooms and a living room. Perfect for a family.

Cant say enough about the service and staff here....room was kept amazing, everyone was super friendly..view from room is absolutely gorgeous. My only disappointment was we wanted to stay an extra day but the hotel was sold out..

This hotel had great beach access. The pool was clean and the chairs by the pool very comfortable. For the price this hotel was a fantastic find. The suites are very large. The view from the balcony was fantastic.

We were very impressed when we walked into the room on how spacious it was. It was an oceanfront room with 2 balconies as it was on the corner. The bed was very comfortable and the room was really big and clean. They had 2 bedspreads on the bed so you could remove the top one that others may have sat/laid on and it was washable. No germs for me! The staff was very friendly and truthfully, I cannot complain about anything. I recommend this hotel. We will be back. Completely non-smoking which was great for us.

We enjoyed our vacation, right on the beach. Loved the layout of the room with the bedroom separate from the sitting/kitchen area. Full fridge, microwave, coffee maker, etc. All rooms have a view of the beach. Could relax at the pool then take a stroll on the beach. Lots of great area restaurants. Flagler Tavern, JB's Fish Camp, Mon Delice.

Holiday weekend wedding and BW was extremely accommodating and friendly. Rooms were spacious and clean, great view and overall lovely hotel. I was disappointed that the restaurant only served till 2:30pm... even though there are other options, it is convenient to have services onsite. Overall I would definitely stay there again. The beach was lovely!

Great staff from time to check in to check out. Hats off to house keeping. The room was clean, plenty of area to stretch out. Beds were comfortable, pillows I am not one to ask I sleep on a rock at the house. Great view of the ocean. the only thing I can think of negative is the Floridian musty smell in the room when you first walk in. I would give it a 2 on a scale from 1 to 10. Not sure what can be done with that.

the BW hotel was very professional and went out of there way to answer any questions we might have. Room was great , staff cleaned daily. Just a great place to spend a week!!, The beach was very clean, the pool maintained every day and was very accessible.

We always enjoy New Smyrna Beach and this hotel. It's right on the beach - a perfect spot to watch a launch from Cape Canaveral - and it is very comfortable. They have upgraded since we started staying and the improvements are great. Getting rid of the carpet in the hallway in great - no more dragging rolling luggage. Lots of good restaurants nearby and the beach is beautiful.

Stayed here on our way to Port Canaveral. Hotel was a good deal for what we had to pay. Beds slept well. The breakfast was not large enough for the crowd that was there had to wait for a table to sit and eat.

My wife and i have had occasion to stay here on a few occasions. As we live in Sanford, FL, we are only 45 minutes from New Smyrna. Every once in a while it's nice to recharge at this particular Best Western. The staff is always nice and friendly. It is located directly on the beach! The rooms are clean and very comfortable. The balconies are really an amazing feature. Microwave and refrigerator. Very nice pool as well. Jump in the ocean, rinse the salt off at the pool! We will be back!

We stayed at Beat Western New Smyrna Beach with our 3 kids and would recommend it to families. We had a large suite overlooking the ocean. It was very clean and the beds were comfortable. I was impressed by the staff, especially Dan at the front desk. He went out of his way to help us. Our kids enjoyed the pool almost as much as the beach which was just steps down. We would definitely stay here again if we're in the area!

We were very impressed by this hotel! The front desk employees were so friendly and helpful. The view from our room couldn't be beat! We had an ocean view and could step onto the beach right from hotel. The room was huge and very clean. We would highly recommend this hotel.

I loved how the rooms have an ocean view. The room was a good size with a kitchenette, It was clean.. I like that the remotes are sanitized and that all the bedding is white. We spent most of the time on the beach so we didn't go to the pool. The location was nice that you could walk to restaurants and even Publix while being right on the beach.

We were at the Best Western for a wedding a few weeks ago and stayed for 2 nights.The hotel was fantastic, clean and right on the beach. Our room was huge with a kitchen and the balcony faced the beach.We also had the wedding reception in the restaurant at the hotel and the wedding was on the beach. If you are going to New Smyrna Beach I recommend staying here.

My husband and I wanted to have a few days at the beach and New Smyrna is our favorite. Luckily, we were able to book three nights at the Best Western. Somehow, we got our room on the second floor only two doors away from the Seascape Restaurant! Talk about convenience! The room was very nice. Each time we entered the room we noticed a musty smell but I guess we got used to it after awhile. I'm sure the BW has been there for quite some time and I think there have been some renovations over the years. It could use a newer couch but other than that most of the furniture was pretty comfortable. The beds were comfy and it was clean. Can't ask for more than that. And right on the beach! After sitting on the beach for several hours we would go up to the hotel's deck and sit on their comfortable patio furniture and watch people and the ocean. A great way to relax. Thank you Best Western!

I would like to say a few things about this hotel and people who work there! I arrived early and waited for my room to be ready, but that's okay! I was greeted by Alex, a super young man on the front desk and a young lady named Dana, both were very accomodating and helpful! The rooms are very spacious and pleasant, and there is a balcony to sit out on and view the beach! The first evening I was in the room, I tried to lower one of the blinds in the bedroom, but couldn't, so I asked someone at the desk and a very pleasant man named Danny came to the room and fixed it! I really appreciate what he did! I was a fun two days, it was my husband's family who was there for a Family Reunion, he did not attend!

This place was huge, kitchen only includes a microwave and full size fridge. Our balcony was a beach view. Walked right to the beach from the hotel. There is no Continental breakfast. There is a restaurant in the hotel.

It's in a great beachfront location and we had a great view from our balcony on the 8th floor but something just didn't do it for me at this hotel. Our room was fine, nice big bed and with a small kitchen area so we could make snacks. Cleaning was good, though a little slapdash sometimes with our room looking half done after housekeeping had been in. The pool area is very small and it feels like you are lying in the car park. The restaurant is good value for breakfast with good views of the beach. There is nothing wrong with this hotel but neither did it stand out.

Great beach hotel at a friendly price. Large rooms, all with beach views. Friendly and helpful staff. Located near plenty of things to do and places to eat. Especially liked the kitchenette feature for convenience and money-saving potential. Clean and beyond basic.

Our ocean front suite was perfect. We requested a high floor and were on the highest one. Also our early check in was a breeze. The suite was clean. We had two balconies overlooking the beach and the ocean. What a view! The pool was clean also. We have stayed here several times and have never been disappointed. From check in to check out everyone is pleasant and helpful. And the location on the beautiful beach cannot be beat. We can't wait to go again!

We have been going to this hotel every July for the last 3 years. I feel like every time we come it gets better. They have done some interior remodeling since last time and it makes the hotel that much better. We never have any issues, from parking, to check in, to quick access to the room, rooms are always clean, the view is GREAT! Easy access to the beach and pool. Walgreens across the street is PERFECT! Local restaurants, ice cream shop and little stores makes it fun to walk around. Not heavy traffic. It's just a great weekend getaway every time.

Loved the set up of the hotel room. Great size and the view of the beach is absolutely amazing! Literally right on the beach. The pool was enjoyable but I do wish it was larger. Truly enjoyed our stay here!!!

Great place to stay! Beach area is one of the cleaniest and family oriented spot that we have been to. Front desk personnel made sure you had everything you needed and are always smiling! Coffee 24 hours a day! Avoid room 306 as there are two palm trees that obstruct the view.

What an awesome vacay we had at Best Western!! Great room, great view, very kind and accomadating staff. Everyone always said Hello with a smile! They run a great hotel with excellent attention to every detail. The cleaning crew on floor 7 was amazing! Thank you for making our stay very memorable!! We just came back from 2 nights at the Best Western in New Smyrna Beach. I don't normally write reviews, but the staff at this hotel deserve a big shout-out for their service! Hotel is beachfront with beautiful views and a balcony to enjoy it. We got a two-bed suite with very comfortable double beds and an area with a pullout couch, big fridge, microwave and kitchen cabinets with plates and bowls. Restaurant on site had a tasty breakfast at very reasonable prices and a gorgeous view! There was a ton of space for the six of us. Distance is an easy walk to beach shops and restaurants. If you are looking for a swanky hotel this one might not fit the bill, it is not luxurious. But if you want a comfortable beachfront hotel with a nice vibe and friendly staff, look no further. We are definitely returning!

This place saved our vacation! We had booked a condo on the Gulf south of Sarasota. Upon arriving there we found that they were having the Red Tide and there were dead fish everywhere. There was no way you could play on the beach or go anywhere near the water. Our kids were devastated! So we looked online real quick and found this place. They offered a reasonable price and were right on the beach so we went for it. We drove about 4 hours from the Gulf to New Smyrna. We could not have been anymore happy! This place is great! The room worked out perfect for our family as there was a separate bedroom and living area with a pull out couch for the kids. My wife and I actually got to sleep. The room had 3/4 size fridge and little kitchen area which was great for breakfast and lunch. Every room has a great view of the beach and it is just a quick little walk downstairs and you are on the sand! There was access to the pool directly from the beach so our kids would play in the ocean then run over to the pool before coming upstairs. The staff was extremely helpful and always friendly. The rooms were clean and the property very updated and nice. They didn't even charge for parking which I was shocked by since they were right on the beach! Overall this place was absolutely great and I have already told my wife next time we go to Florida we are staying here again!

We got to hotel in the evening, checked into a very nice room, It had a great view. Very helpful staff. Great recommendations on places to go. The family had a great time on the beach. The stay was great I would stay there again. I highly recommend it.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Rooms were clean with a great view! Staff were very friendly! Right on the beach. Boston Fish House across the street was very good as well for dinner. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Not only do all the rooms have a nice view and come with a small kitchen but the staff is absolutely the best! My husband and I were having our wedding in Port Orange and needed a place for our out of town family and friends so we picked this hotel and so glad we did! Lilly was nice in helping us coordinate all the rooms we needed. The staff honestly treats you as if you are at a 5 star resort. Alex, Denny, Jason are just a few that I have to say thank you for everything after our stay from the bachelorette weekend to the wedding weekend you all are wonderful and can't thank you enough. Great hotel I highly recommend you can't go wrong! Everyone is already planning on coming back.

Hotel staff was friendly, housekeeping staff was great, easy access to beach. Rooms were clean and spacious. Pool area provided plenty of chairs and had shaded area also. We felt safe, will definitely stay again

Our family was very pleased with the choise we made in this hotel. Room exceeded expectations. Very clean and spacious. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. A couple things that would have put it over the top: Although there is a shelter over one end of the pool, it really only accommodates 2 tables (8 folks). There really should be a few umbrellas to get folks out of the FL sun. Also, Beach front decking is locked and inaccessible during sunrise. Really makes no sense to drive guests to sit in the sand. This is a missed marketing opportunity. Open it up and offer coffee, would be seen as a significant luxury.
