Best Western Plus New Cumberland Inn & Suites

STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! Nothing about this experience was was anything to give any stars for. If I could give a ZERO I WOULD. First there were 7 family's who reserved rooms for the weekend. When we all got there they tried to tell us that all of our payments were declined and asked us to pay a second time. Even though we could all show where the money came out of our bank accounts and posted to our bank accounts days prior. They said they couldn't help that and we needed to all pay again. The first family to arrive did pay a second time and disputed it with their credit card company. And it took the front desk 2 days and several requests later to give them a copy of their receipt that they needed to show they paid twice. The rest of us refused to pay a second time, then all of a sudden everything was fine and the had the money. Then the second night the allowed a party with kids who had no adult supervision to happen. There was a child about 3 years old swimming in the pool alone, the other children who were 10-14 were fist fighting in the pool, running all over the pool and jumping in over everyone in the pool, with a loud Bluetooth speaker playing music with no adult supervision. When someone complained to the front desk they did nothing to stop the behavior and then allowed the kids who were causing the problem to scream and cuss at the adults who were trying to enjoy the pool with their children because someone told on them for their behavior. So these families could not even enjoy the pool With their kids. One family's door would not work, so they had to move rooms. Everything was out of order and not working, the ice machine, the one restroom in the lobby, the pancake maker for breakfast, the elevator stopped working the second day. So all of us on the top floor had to carry everything downstairs which took several trips when you have families staying there for a weekend. Our son has medical needs to all of the supplies and machines he needs had to be carried down because the elevator stopped working. The free breakfast, well that was mediocre at best. Everything was microwaved and very much tasted like it. The one side of the juice machine that worked was so watered down that the orange juice was clear with an orange tint. The second night and the next morning the entire hall way on the third floor and the stairwell smelled like nothing but weed. It was the worst hotel experience we have ever had. There is a lot of hotels in this area look into one of them, because never again would I spend money at this one. Especially if you have a family don't pay to stay here. The hot tub was covered up with wood. The second day the pool was so cloudy, and each time there was never towels in the pool area. I really could go on about more. But in all honesty find another hotel!!! Don't stay here. Below are pictures of some of the things they had signs on because everything was OUT OF ORDER

I appreciate the professional and courteous staff. The service is always consistent with Best Western standards and the facility has consistently improved over the years that I have been staying with them for business purposes. I will continue to stay at this facility.

We stayed 3 nights over Thanksgiving to visit family and found this place to be a good value. They accepted our dog which was very helpful. The staff was courteous and helpful. Good breakfast offered as part of the room rate.

It was just after midnight on a Thursday night and my family was on their way to NJ and we were way too tired to drive any further. I went online to book a night at this Best Western. I selected Thursday to Friday on my reservation and because it was after midnight, the website changed my reservation to Friday-Saturday. I get to the hotel exhausted to check in about 1AM and they say they don't have a reservation for me until the following night and can't cancel it and reschedule. They said they "would help me out" and therefore charged me full rate for that night and cancelled my stay for the following night with NO REFUND. A total misunderstanding and they totally were not helpful, instead they were GREEDY and USELESS. It was management's call in the morning and they just wanted all the money they could get even though they certainly could rebook that room for someone else the night I wouldn't be there. AWFUL service. The only good part o f the place was the hotel was fine and the coffee machine was nice.

We were meeting my son and family at HersheyPark - but they went to Gettysburg first. So we drove out to meet them. I researched hotels and this fit the bill. It has been recently remodeled so it was fresh and very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful and smiling. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was the best I've had at a chain hotel. There were fluffy scrambled eggs, sausage - you could make pancakes - or make an egg sandwich. The coffee machine had cappucinos. And the breakfast attendant was very nice and friendly. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We came to Pennsylvania to enjoy the weekend. Booked a room at a nearby hotel and wasn't pleased. So I immediately started to do whatever I could to stay at this hotel once I saw it. And they did what they could to ensure I was able to get a room for my family and ensured we were comfortable and enjoyed our stay. It turned the whole trip around for us. My family was pleased. And we shall return

The hotel itself was just fine. Room was comfortable. The majority of the staff was wonderful. The breakfast was fine. The completely disappointing part was the hotel manager herself Jolene she was not a very friendly nice or accommodating person at all.

We arrived from DC, the daily breakfasts had a huge quality of selections to choose. Front Desk "Saltwater Cowboy " was exceptional, he was able to answer absolutely every question one had about the Chincoteague Island and the upcoming Pony Swim. Hotel is central to many attractions Excellent bike rentals.No complaints. Give the staff a raise.

great place! staff are amazing. The place is super clean. Breakfast is very tasty. Especially the omelets. The pool, the jacuzzi & the gym are definitely a bonus, what I call the icing on the cake. Visit & see for yourself!

This property was recently refreshed. Everything was new looking. Everything worked. The room was bright and well maintained. The included breakfast had a nice variety of food. The staff was most accommodating and welcoming.

Great staff who went out of their way to ensure guests needs were promptly and properly cared for. Very clean, which was what was most important for me. It also included a full breakfast which we were so happy to see since many hotels have just been offering prepackaged food and drinks. Fresh waffles with two waffle makers so the line up goes quickly was much appreciated!

This hotel offered clean rooms, a great breakfast selection, attentive staff! Couldn't be happier with our stay - Sarah and Jolene truly understand the concept of hospitality! Convenient location too!

This was a great convenient location to getting to many attractions within 10 miles, including Hershey Park.. Many restaurants nearby. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The only reason I didn't give a 5 was because one of the days of our 5 day stay the pool which is indoors was not open. The spa was not open the whole stay. The breakfasts were varied each day with enough choices to please everyone in our family from senior to small child. It was clean and well kept, and the beds were quite comfortable. Having Directv was a great perk. All in all a great stay, I would stay again

We would stay here again. Staff is personable and friendly, easy checkin and check out. Plenty of parking. No specific dog walking area but plenty of grassy areas around. Coffee and tea 24/7. ROOM: The beds were comfortable and clean. Good pillows, the shredded foam type, 4 per queen bed. The bedspread looks like it can be thrown in the washer with the sheets, which is good because this is a pet friendly hotel, and with COVID we all like things near our face to be clean. The mini fridge is larger than usual and includes a freezer coil (lately the places we've stayed haven't had that and we like to re-freeze our cooler insert each night.) Tiny microwave, typical "drawer" style coffee maker. Would prefer K-cup style so I can use my own coffee. Adequate outlets and ports. Barely adequate lighting. Weird modern art but who cares? Lots of cable channels. Counter-intuitive thermostat. It looked like the temperature wasn't being changed but it was so we nearly froze during the night! BATHROOM: clean, good water pressure, good shower head but too low (I'm 5'8" and it hits the back of my head.) Curved shower curtain rod. Single sink, 4 outlets, only one bath towel provided. Adequate mirror and light. The biggest negative of the whole room is the motion-activated light/fan combo. The fan was VERY LOUD and rattling so it was difficult for one person to sleep while the other was in the bathroom. BREAKFAST: scrambled eggs, sausage patties, biscuits & sausage gravy, waffle maker, cereal, yogurt, fruit cup, toast, bagels, muffins, juice & coffee. Plenty of tables.

Stayed her while in the area visiting family. The facility was clean and the front desk staff were all so sweet and helpful. Sarah was so sweet and helpful with any request or questions we had. As was all of the staff. The beds were very comfortable and the pool is nice. I was disappointed that the hot tub was not working but I understand that stuff happens. You could tell that they were understaffed but again, they were all amazing and made our stay very nice. We will definitely stay here again.

Average hotel. Rooms need to be cleaner. This property is in a very good location for the Harrisburg area and had good rates for the one night stay. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable however pet charges of $50. each per night per pet are too high. From the condition of the rooms it is obvious that the rooms are not cleaned any differently with pets as to a non pet stay. Our company uses this hotel a lot and I'm not one to complain but additional charges for no additional service is not good practice.

The front office person Sarah was so wonderful. She took the time to listen and helped us with every question. We complained of a problem and it was handled right away. And it was a maid concern with trash she didn't have to only report it. She made sure it was handled right away. The room very comfortable, clean, everything worked. and quiet.

From check in to check out we had a wonderful experience at this location. We took a mini family vacation to take the grandkids swimming. The pool was just redone and great for smaller children as it is only 3ft to 4 ft deep. Maggie at the front desk when we checked in was very friendly and has super customer service. Our keys would not work and she was very prompt to fix the issue. (It was not an easy fix either!) Later that evening we went to use the microwave. It started to spark. Went down to front desk, Sarah was working at that time. She quickly swapped out microwave so no time was wasted to feed 3 hungry children. Miss Jolene the manager, sure has worked with her team to give great customer service, I am pretty sure that is because she is simply amazing. Thank you for a very nice time and can't wait to come back.

It was really nice! They gave us extra pillows and sheets, and also mustard for breakfast when there wasn't any available. The beds were really comfortable, and so was the pull out couch. I really had a lovely time, and enjoyed my stay a lot!!!

Room was not cleanest and beds weren't that comfortable. Noisy location. Very basic breakfasts. When asked for Kleenex we were told that the hotel didn't have any more. Bed linens were this as well as the comfortable. Shower was very dated and not much water pressure. Did not like bathroom light coming on when you walked in. Was not a good thing in the middle of the night. A small night light would have been better.

Checked in Friday evening and when we went to bed we noticed several stains on our sheets in multiple spots. SUPER unsanitary. Went to front desk to ask for new ones, was only given one flat sheet, which we understood since it was late. Decided to suck it up for the night. Next morning, we spoke to front desk woman who was working again and was informed that they were very busy and they would "try" to get to our room. I said we could even do it ourselves if they just saved new linens for us. She said she would speak with manager and figure something out. Got back that evening, no sheets changed, so I went to front desk to check if there was anything left for us. Explained my earlier talk with the woman working front desk earlier. The older man working front desk at that time said there was nothing and would not even try to assist, only said we could speak to manager after 9AM. I asked, "So we have to sleep on dirty sheets again?" and he said yes. Spoke to the front desk woman again the next day and she asked if they got to our room the previous day and I told her no, she apologized again and explained they were busy and that she would make sure something got done. Not sure how them being busy and having to clean/provide new sheets for new guests means they could not provide new linens for us. That evening, they finally got our linens changed the night before checkout. Additionally, our key did not work two nights in a row, and we had to go back down to the main floor front desk and have it redone. Nobody was at the front desk for at least 5 minutes and we had to stand there waiting with our toddler and things. Not typically one to complain about hotel stays, but having to sleep on dirty linens and being forgotten/completely brushed off was very upsetting and disgusting, and unsanitary.

My son and I were driving in for a baseball tournament. Traffic turned a 7 hour drive into a 10 hour drive and we were exhausted. I called to confirm our reservation about an hour before arriving and Sarah told us they had everything ready for us. When we arrived Sarah greeted us and told us all about the hotel. We are leaving too early for breakfast tomorrow and Sarah offered to have “to-go” bags ready for us when we leave tomorrow (at 6:30am)!! She also referred us to an excellent local Chinese restaurant. Our room is clean and well equipped. I would DEFINITELY stay here again. We have stayed at other hotels in the area and they are not as nice and more $$$. This was a rough day with a lovely ending thanks to Best Western and manager Sarah, who made us feel at home and made sure we had everything we needed. 10/10 recommend.

GREAT ROOMS! clean, fresh, comfy beds, enough supplies, like towels, blankets, etc. staff very friendly. the breakfast in the morning was great and fresh. eggs, sausages, waffles, and tons of yogurts, fruit, cereals, coffee, breads, gluten free items. we only stayed one night, so we didn't ck out the other amenities, but the pool was closed for maintenance. although next to the highways, i did not hear the traffic, it was very quiet. we came to this hotel after leaving the scottish inn across the street, which was disgusting. this place is well worth the money. We loved this hotel! Our dogs were able to stay for a minimal fee, we had a delicious breakfast and our room was clean. The beds were very comfortable, too. We were attending a dog show in York, PA, so the location of this hotel was not far from our venue, One drawback is that there are not many restaurant venues at this location.

I've been on an extended road trip for several months and this was the nicest hotel I have stayed in. Several others have claimed to have breakfast but upon waking in the morning I learn they do not bc of COVID. So glad this place had real food. Also the bathroom was immaculate.

I informed Mr. Patel the manager that the remote in my room was not working. He sent staff up to pair a new remote so i could watch the playoff games in my room. The staff member was unable to pair the remote. Mr. Patel offered me a number of different options so that I could watch the games. When I didn't want to move rooms he drove in and fixed the remote so that I could watch the game in my room.

We originally stayed at this inn Across the street. Let me tell you DONT do that. It was gross like if you ever watched a movie where cops would raid a motel to catch some act. This would be the place they would film at or an similar event actually occurred. Best western saved our trip with its helpful staff, clean everything, pricing and efficient check in.

This Best Western is the nicest I've stayed at in 6 months. Jo and Sarah at the front desk are just the 2 best hosts at the front desk I have ever seen. They love their customers to the max. This property is the cleanest. Has the best hot breakfast ready in the morning. Plenty of parking and I got my Semi and trailer in safely parked. They are super dog friendly to another level and welcome, pamper and treat the dogs very well. I can not wait to come back here. Thank you guys! Hugs from Boss Hogg

Our experience was hideous: no hair dryer and then given a broken one, no luggage stand, HVAC system was difficult to control, and the worst — motion sensors installed in the switch plates. The one in the bathroom was broken and came on constantly — including all night long. The room was reasonably clean, and the breakfast was ok, but I will never stay at a Best Western again.

We stayed here overnight after attending a concert nearby. The room was clean and pleasant. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast offered a variety of (cold) items. Overall, our experience here was of a safe haven in an unfamiliar location!

Staff was so friendly. It was nice to see smiles at the desk and from the housekeeping staff during our 1 night stay. Everything was clean, it even smelled clean when we walked in ! I would definitely stay here again.

First off.. I WORK at a Best Western. Check in was awful She sat there and barley said anything. Didn't tell me anything about the hotel. In the room the welcome letter said they had breakfast. I woke my kids up and took them down for breakfast...and there was NOTHING. I got a queen suit. There was NO extra blankets for the pull out sofa. No hair dryer in the room...Not a welcoming place and certainly not up to standards. As I work in a hotel I know things happen...but having no breakfast at all and not letting us know anything about the place. The pool... well they had the regular lights off so it was dark in there. That was for a reason...i turned the light on my phone...that pool was definitely not clean. I will NEVER stay here again. Was not worth the money. Shouldn't advertise breakfast on the site and in the welcome letter if they have NO breakfast... on a weekend day at that.

I held this room with my debit card but was going to pay for the reservations with my wife's debit card upon check in. Well they charged my card hours before check in and caused my account to be overdrawn. When I complained to the front desk I was told" Well you are in the cancellation period we have to get our money anyway we can.That was very unprofessional and she did not seem to care.

Being a Best Western we thought our stay would be really good. The hallways were not swept the 2 days we were there (and they needed it); the tub would not drain, and the jacuzzi drain was difficult to get to drain (but it did); so tv remote buttons did not work; very noisy road traffic, all night.

Cleanliness and upkeep do not exist at this location. Bathroom was covered in hair and mold. Beds, while made, were stained with dirty looking linens. Housekeeping never showed in three days. Not even soap or hand sanitizer to be found. Had to switch hotels for the remainder of my stay in the area.

My family stood at this hotel for three nights. When you first check in you have to either ring the bell or call the phone listed in the front desk to get assistance. Once checked in I asked about breakfast hours and was told that no breakfast is provided at this hotel. I told the receptionist that according to the website breakfast was provided and that's why I chose this hotel. Then she said we can provide you with go bags,but that I will need to call in the morning so it can be prepared. First, morning called for our breakfast bags and was told there was none because the truck never arrived. I was told I will be given a credit for this on my account. Day 2 my husband waited for over 20 minutes at the front desk to get our breakfast. There was no receptionist. Then eventually someone told him they will bring the breakfast to the room. They came 2 hours later and only gave us 2 breakfast when there were 2 adults and 2 children in the room. The facilities pool was dirty. The hot pool you can tell has not been working for quite some time. It was filled with scum and the water was filthy. There was hair around the side of the pool. We complained of the cleanliness of the pool and they said they would clean it. The next day it was still the same. Never cleaned same hair Ball around the pool and the hot tube filthy. There are no towels at the pool. You have to request towels from the front desk or bring it from your room. Good luck with trying to get towels from the front desk when there is no one available. As for the cleanliness of our room, the shower walls were moldy on the corners. The floors had cracks and the sink counter top had some gum looking thing stuck to it. We only allowed the hotel to clean our room once because they did a poor job in the cleaning. The cleaner left dirty rags in the room by the television stand. Also the beds were not properly made. Pillows were left on the ottoman in the corner of the room. The towels in this hotel are dingy and only two per room are given. I had to request for more towels. There were stains on the bed covers and towels. During checkout I spoke to the receptionist Snehal. I told him again of all the issues we encountered at the hotel he said he knew about it because he read the notes that were left from our complaints. I told him that I was informed of receiving a credit and he told me he would speak again to the manager to get it approved. He said it will take him 30 minutes,I never received my credit

The woman at checkin was great but the guy at checkout seemed annoyed to have to deal with us. The guy also opened the pool up late so the kids were not able to swim as long. Next time we will most likely choose another hotel.

Tools behind the dresser. Nasty smudges on the front. Behind the bed hadn't been cleaned in weeks. Just not worth it at all. And don't go there with car trouble and need a late checkout. 1 hour or ur charged! They said. I sat in my car freezing for several hours. Good job.

My husband, daughter and I stayed here last night. We usually stay at Best Western hotels. I was quite skeptical about booking an overnight stay after reading the reviews. Overall, it was not that bad, which is to say it was not good and also a disappointment for a Best Western PLUS. The room was clean but smelled a little of bleach and smoke. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was dirty with hair behind the door, mildew around the caulk on the tub and water damage on the ceiling. We had to ask for an additional towel and wash cloths as there were only two towels in the room. The pool and hot tub were operational. There was no breakfast but 24-hour coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. Tons of cable channels and wi-fi worked well. The lady that checked us in was very pleasant and attentive. There was no one at the desk late morning to assist with check out so we just left. This hotel does need some attention. If you find a good deal for one night, I'd say take a chance!

Friendly, courteous staff, clean room. We enjoy the fireplace/jacuzzi room several times a year when possible. Yes, some of the caulking may not be perfect, or a screw is missing from a toilet cover, but this does not effect my customer experience- especially when soaking in the jacuzzi or sleeping in the comfortable bed.

Clean and great customer service. close to the malls and Walmart. rooms were clean and pool and hot tub can use a little more cleaning but over all it was good. KIDS LOVED IT. Amanda one of the manager she was excellent thank you for this awesome experience.

Room was disgusting. Sheets and pillows were used and dirty. Trash and food left in room. Dust and dirt all over. Stains on bed. Rude staff. Managers would not refund our stay. We had to leave the room for housekeeping to clean only to come back and it was still gross and in the same condition!! He didn't do anything he was told to do. We will never stay here again and neither will anyone who asks us about our stay. Absolutely unacceptable.

Apparently they were training the clerk at the front desk. The manager blamed the new employee for booking us a terrible room. The sheets were stained, walls were filthy, fireplace had burnt liquid on it. Ceiling had a hole in it from previous water damage. Carpet needs replaced, sticky substance on the desk. Very dirty place

It was nice for a moment. The jacuzzi tub faucet is loose. Fireplace does not work. Then the wife and I went to get some items at the store and come back to a block party in the parking lot and the smell of weed on the first floor. Planned for 2 nights. Leaving tomorrow.

We stayed in one of the ”remodeled” rooms. The toilet had not been properly bolted to the floor. The bolts for the base had become disconnected from the toilet flange, allowing the toilet assembly to freely move. (We checked)They used the wrong caulk around the tub and towel bars. Whatever wasn't peeling or falling off, was moldy. The bath ceiling fan was so caked in dust, I'm sure it didn't work properly. The bathroom switch was partially broken and covered with construction material (probably glue). A picture fell off the wall. We tried to use the pool, but the water was the color of milk. The hot tub was okay, but the jets had been removed. We had to go to the front desk to get towels for the pool because there were none on site. The room lacked facial tissue, and lotion (we asked; they had none). That was small stuff, but more things to add to the growing list. None of the staff wore face masks. When we told the front desk about the toilet, they didn't seem to understand.

This property used to be a gem - but not anymore Have been traveling there for many years in the summer for a trip to Hershey. The past couple of times have been horrible. I used to refer others, never again. May be under new management. Staff if inconsiderate and apathetic. No one was ever at the desk. The first room I checked into was missing furniture and had orange stains on the bed spreads. Move to same room type on another floor. No tissues or towels in that room. Floors were dirty. No towel replacement. Pull out sofa had no sheets or blanket. Had to ask for them twice and I had to make the bed. No guest room key the entire stay for 3 nights! Every time we needed to get into our room we had to find someone to let us in. Not a great sense of security. In fact, a housekeeper let us in one time and never asked for ID.

Check-in experience and price seemed great. But room not what we expected. It was dated-not a problem if clean. But room was not clean to BW standard, nor were common areas. Nobody at desk at check out. Disappointing experience.

I have stayed at this hotel numerous times in the past. It is the closest BW to the Williams Grove Speedway and I attend WoO events there several times a year. The hotel has undergone renovations over the past couple years to improve the visual appearance of the hotel but not much else has been improved. The rooms are average with no real frills and the main reason we stay there is the indoor pool. This area was improved by the addition of a bathroom in the pool area and that is all. I encountered several issues during this stay which started at check in. When I arrived no one was at the front desk to check in. There was a sign to call a number but the last 2 digits of the phone number were not visible due to a piece of paper covering them. Once I went to my vehicle and retrieved my phone I was able to find the number of the hotel and call and when the phone rang someone came from the back to check me in. I was informed that due to COVID we were not offered any breakfast option at all. Also no recognition of my BW rewards elite status, no complimentary water, nothing. I dropped my things off in my room because we arrived around 6:20 and we were heading straight to the Speedway. We arrived back that evening and once again no one was at the front desk. We discovered in the morning that there was no facial tissue in our room. I found housekeeping in the hallway and asked if they had any and they did not. I stated that I would ask at the front desk when I went to get breakfast, When I left to get breakfast, once again no one was at the front desk. I returned from breakfast and the front desk was vacant once again. I returned to my room and ate breakfast with my family, we came down and used the pool and spa for a few hours. I stopped at the front desk on my way back to the room and requested facial tissue and another roll of toilet paper for our room. The gentleman at the front desk, the same man who had been there the evening before, asked my room number and got up from his chair where he was sitting. At this time I noticed the the gentleman was sitting with his feet up and was not wearing any socks or shoes The gentleman went to the back and after a few minutes did not return. I presumed that he was going to have housekeeping bring them to my room. I returned to my room and my family and I all showered will preparing to leave for dinner and to return to the speedway, No one ever brought the requested items to our room. We retuned to the hotel around 11

Room was smelly and dirty. Only one towel( front desk said the rest are being washed) comforter on bed was badly stained,asked for new room,was denied. Pool was nice but that was it. This is a truckers hotel, not for families

We stay at the Best western plus at least once or twice a month. It's clean and Close to a lot of shopping areas. We would definitely visit again. The hotel has great rates. It's safe to stay at best western plus.

As of today we are on our 4th night stay here and we love it! We recieved nothing but 100% EXCELLENT Customer service from Pankaj and also the housekeeping staff! He makes sure we have everything we need and works very hard. I swear i see this man work almost 24/7 and never gets a break. He does a great job taking care of everything and i mean everything its like hes one of the only employees i see throughout the day and night! He definitely deserves a raise thats for sure! He has made sure towels are being washed and stocked at the pool and thats a huge plus bc they go so fast! But he keeps them coming!! He has definitely made our stay feel at home! This is a great place and I'd definitely stay again!

We drove all the way from Georgia and stayed here the front desk manager Pankaj Patel was very friendly and polite he made sure we had everything we needed and that we were comfortable. The rooms were very clean, you can tell the front desk manager takes pride into making sure his guest are comfortable. Would definitely recommend staying here again.

Had a great time the staff was very helpful and the service was great. They always had a fresh pot of coffee in the lounge and the pool and hot tub was perfect. Also it was very clean and I will be staying here again when I come back to PA . One of the best experiences I have had better then the other places I've stayed around here.

I stayed with my boyfriend and four kids in the double queen with sofa pull out bed. The room was super clean when we got there. The hotel itself was beautiful, they clean the pool very well every morning. They don't have breakfast just yet because they just turned green since the covid pandemic. The front desk staff is super helpful, housekeeping was great and always had clean towels every morning. We had an amazing stay! The hot tub was beyond great too. This was by far my favorite stay at a hotel and we travel a lot for vacations we will be coming back here again. No longer staying anywhere else, they have great deals and all in all amazing people work here thank you so much!

I attended this hotel on numerous occasions and every visitation has always been an A1 experience. great customer service .they go out of there way to accommodate you. They treat you like family & everyone knows your name.

hotel was clean breakfast was ok. pool and hot tub were closed American Flag was torn and should have been replaced. bathroom sink drain stopper was broke, hvac unit stopped working over night but that was only the gfi on the unit. this is one of the only hotels i have stayed in that didn't supply bottled water for coffee and tea.

I had a good first night and enjoyed pool. Later around 2:30-3 AM. There was no heat and all of us complained to each other and I said cover up and I will speak with front desk at breakfast. It was warm leaving the room for breakfast. Great! I spoke with Jolene at desk. She asked me to try a couple things and I did to get working and it didn't work. So she said she would go and fix the heating system herself. I said ok and that we would be back later on. We got back and found that air conditioner was working and she set for 68. That was good for daytime. She had told me that she would be sure to discount half off the freezing cold night. Nose dropped for two days literally. Ok we had gone to pool and returned now the temperature was too cold for all of us and now the heat was broken again. I called over to front desk and Jolene answered and was gave me a hard time, asking me to do all the things again that I had just done while raising her voice to me. She grew on my nerves pretty quick but still needed either a room from her or ask for a refund a get the heck out. Ok I asked for another room as she came into our space and couldn't fix the heating system herself. We had to pack for the move and got the elevator room to stay at. Lol. Could hear the elevator cable rolling but at least it was warm. I was feeling all would be ok because I was promised by Jolene, that I would be taken care of with half off the first night so I felt we should take this room over something much nicer for our troubles. I checked out and she asked if I wanted my receipt emailed to me. I said yes so that it will show the discount. Got home and nose still dripping and checked bank and found she charged me full price and extra $50 for deposit. There is no way I will even allow that so I asked for receipt and reported all and asked for help the next day. She spoke with me after many unprofessional emails saying she can't email me a receipt. So I emailed her and told her her email is fine so send immediately and don't delay. She was so unprofessional beware and pay attention to your receipt before and after dealing with her. It was the worst experience I have had in a long time. Clean all the bottles and cigarettes up around the front entrance there.

The room was clean but more importantly, the bathroom had a great shower and there was a fan in the bathroom as well. Our bed was very comfortable and the checkin was easy and quick. The breakfast was normal for hotels. We were able to use the dining area to play games with our grandchildren in the evening.

We stayed here on a quick visit to see the Outdoor Sportsman Show at the Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg. This location was close and directly off the Interstate. We enjoyed the Pool area, Breakfast was outstanding and our room was clean. We enjoyed dinner at the nearby John's Diner (Huge selection, generous portions and the food was good) Only issue was requesting towels. We brought our dog so we did not get housekeeping and when we stopped at the desk to request them the man at the desk said there were NO towels and he was "sorry" about our luck". When I told him that it was unacceptable to not have towels to shower with he just said "I don't know what to tell you." His lack of professionalism bothered me more than the lack of towels. He did follow up and managed to find 2 towels for our family of 5. That was our only complaint. We would stay here again when in the area.

We stayed overnight to attend a concert at a local venue. The location was perfect and had the best sleep in the most comfortable bed. Would definitely stay again. Oh and the jacuzzi tub was the highlight of my month!! So relaxing I didn't want to leave. :)

Room had a hole in the bathroom wall, the ceiling had pieces falling down and the hole in the wall for the shower was showing. Left an electric toothbrush behind on accident and front desk claims staff would have thrown it out. Reached out multiple times never provided a clear answer. Avoid this property

The hotel was going through some renovations when I went through. My room had been redone and was very nice. Nice modern decor and comfortable bed. The staff was very friendly and treated me very well. Would stay again if in the area.

We stayed here most recently while in town for a funeral. The staff (specifically Snehal Patel and Amanda) were very caring and accommodated many of our specific requests. We plan to stay here again when in the area and feel the it is one of the better options off this exit.

Stayed with a hockey team, booked 12 rooms most horrible experience for all of us. All rooms Had a problem with AC, cleanliness. My Room had piss on a floor, stains on the bed. Not child friendly. Bad staff.

This was our second stay with this hotel. The first experience was not bad however this time the lack of professionalism and caring was abundant. First, I asked if they were ADA accessible and the response was “Well sort it, we have 1 room on the third floor....”. Third floor!? Next we were placed on the first floor. The room was large. The bathroom needed help. Lights were blown out, the vent was not working, and the ceiling was falling apart. They advertise that they have an indoor pool and spa but what good are they when they won't unlock the door because the person who handles that wasn't there. They also have a 24-gym facility but they only have 3 machines - the treadmill was out of order. Not a good experience.

It was not a pleasant experience, I expected the brand to meet the expectations as promised in the website. While the amenities were all present, the upkeep and service levels were very low, I would think twice before I book another room with BWPlus

After departing Tennessee we needed some place to stay over as we visited the Harley Factory in York and then headed over to New Jersey. With our good experience with Best Western in Johnson City we decided to try them in New Cumberland Pennsylvania. The hotel is undergoing some Renovations and there is a bit of a mess in some areas but overall the inside of the hotel was very clean and very presentable. The room was of large suite with a king-size bed and a sitting room I was very accommodating. The shower was very nice with a gentle spray and the commode had a very fast instant flush, for some people that might be important! A little bit disappointed in the breakfast area as having just left a Best Western with a great breakfast area this one was kind of sparse. it had some sausage links and egg omelettes, and some bread products. The waffle maker was somewhat dysfunctional due to being completely empty and it was not filled until after we get done eating breakfast. It was no yogurt available although they were hard boiled eggs. Coffee and Juice wrld still available. I guess we were just spoiled by the Johnson City facility breakfast area. Overall however I say the hotel is very nice and the desk person was very friendly giving us a reference to go eat that evening.

Rude staff. Renovated new but half-assed. Holes in wall. Checked in.. rate was wrong. They refused to change it until I contacted corporate. The breakfast was a joke. No regular coffee. Cereal but no milk. This property needs a lot of help. Better off staying in Harrisburg. Don't waste your money

I booked and paid via a well recognized third party. This hotel still charged me without my notice until I checked the credit card statement. At check in, I confirmed that I paid the room in advance and a credit card was left for incidental. At check out, I confirmed with the staff again that my card won't be charged. A week later, I found out the hotel charged me. I called the hotel and was told that they charged because of my stay and that there was a credit card on the system. I told the staff that the room was prepaid via a third party and that the card was for incidental. The staff then said I need to talk to the manager the next day. Hopefully it will be resolved, but i am wasting my time for an error which should not happen at first. What if I did not check the credit card statement soon.

At arrival found that the booking company had canceled my room and didn't inform me. The guy at the front desk was very helpful in getting me booked. He even showed me the room beforehand to make sure that it would meet my needs. And gave me the discounted rate that I had gotten with the booking company. The hotel was clean, customer service was excellent.

I've stayed here atleast twice per month in the last three (including before renovations began) and although there were times I didn't have access to all that was available prior to renovations it was still good knowing that this was temporary "discomfort" and that soon this would further top any hotel on Limekiln Rd. Met Ownership and I must tell you that they are some of the finest people I've met. Only gave four stars due to past renovations, but 5 stars will soon be an insult once the other 10% - 15% of Project is complete.

Nice hotel though they are going through renovations. No microwave in rooms yet but has frig. Nice quality hotel with pool and hot tub near Hershey park. Much cheaper than staying in Hershey. It's less than 20 minutes away.

Little discouraging to walk into all of the renovations, but overall it ended up being a great stay. The room we stayed in was complete and nice and good progress was made even in our short stay. Was occasionally hard to find a staff member when needed while there, key and door issues, pool was closed the duration of our stay, some lax in cleanliness.. but the breakfast was great, AC was cold and staff was friendly when you found them.

Their regular rooms are very big, nice, and staff is friendly. The breakfast is good. The waffles are amazing!!! Very kid friendly. Front desk lady was super polite and helpful. The pool/hot tub are clean, easy to watch children, and great place to relax after traveling.

The hotel staff was very accommodating and very friendly. I commend them on efforts to renovate and make stay for customers a good experience. Jolene and another lady were awesome and patiently checked my group of almost 15 travelers in at on time. There was another gentleman whose name escapes me. I think he was the owner/manager. I, along with 1500 of my closest friends, were visiting Harrisburg for a motorcycle national rally. We didn't want to stay right in downtown, so we found this gem. Although the place in currently undergoing some renovations, the rooms were in great shape. The beds were comfortable and the pillows supportive. The showers were strong and the AC was cool. The pool and hot tub are just the right size. Although that are does need some work, they are clean and there are chairs to chill in while the kids are frolicking around. The one thing that could us some work is the breakfast. The staff is very nice and helpful. They are available to you for any questions. Plus it's right off the highway, so access on and off is a breeze. I would say that once the renovations are completed, this is going to be an even better place to stay than it already is.

This hotel is awesome! The breakfast is terrific! The employee who serves the breakfast creates a relaxed and happy atmosphere, chatting with guests.The staff goes above and beyond! We came in at 2:00 am.The night manager went out of his way to make sure we were okay. We feel like part of the family!

This Best Western is getting a face lift but don't let that scare you away. The crew working at this location is absolutely stellar and they make up for any inconvenience with great service. Very warm and welcoming, even when traveling with a crabby one-year-old.

Stayed here, they were under construction. We found holes in floor and mattress' in the stairway partially blocking exit routes. Told front desk but nothing was done about it, despite being told they would take care of it right away. Floor filthy, took to our room and comforter had circles if clear fluid, seamen? Given another room. No fitness center or ice. Then half way through stay they took away the breakfast without notifying people staying there. Hot tub had severe foam ever morning. Not helpful at all when brought up issues.

The hotel is currently undergoing renovations. It may be very nice when finished. However, currently everything is torn up, the fitness center and the pool are both closed, and the room we were in was only partially renovated. The carpeting was in very poor shape. Otherwise, the room was clean. On the positive side, the hotel staff is very friendly and accommodating, and the breakfast is very good. For the time being, I would look elsewhere for accommodations in this area.

Excellent Customer Service. Best customer service for a large group EVER. Jolene was the BEST, she helped us with every little thing we needed. She missed nothing, even proactively, without us asking for help. She was there for us.

Hotel is under renovation so pool and hot tub is closed. The nightly rate got jacked way up to $169 a night. Guess that's how they're paying for the renovation. WOW! With all the dust and stuff and no pool / hot tub you'd think there might have been a discount not Jack my bill up $50.

This Best Western was under renovations when we visited, but the rooms were complete and very clean. The lobby and breakfast area were still able to be used. Staff was exceptional and made up for the incomplete renovations. They did everything they could to make us feel welcome.

While the staff was extremely polite and accommodating, even the Mgr bringing personal tables for our group to use for a picnic, the condition of the hotel was very poor. The pool/hot tub and fitness center was closed the entire duration of my stay. The lobby was under construction, and the A/C thermostat could not be controlled, as it was blowing Full AC the entire time and was very cold in the room.

Outlets in bathroom did not work, rooms were not cleaned, towels were not given, tv did not work, elevator broke down 6 times in our short stay, pool was closed when promised to be open, noisy with kids running the halls.

Worst hotel I've ever stayed at . We are a traveling softball team and we will never stay there again . Our rooms weren't cleaned daily and no fresh towels put in our rooms. We was there for 4 days and was debating leaving. There was to be a curfew at 10 PM. And the staff didnt make the other guests abound by this .

We were in immediate need of a hotel in Harrisburg as the one we booked turned out to be a disaster and wanted to change it. That is when we called Best western for availability after searching for the hotels in the internet. Reception Pankaj was the one who answered the call. He patiently answered all our questions and he confirmed that all the rooms were neat and clean. We then went to the hotel and after checking the room, we found out that everything he said on the phone was true. He even gave us a discounted price and took care of us very well. Just for the courteousness and hospitality received by us from the receptionist Pankaj, I am sure every-time we visit Harrisburg, we will chose to stay only at this hotel.

Well except the pool nothin was good.everything was bad quality. Bad bed, bad breakfast. I would not recommend. Our back was hurting after waking up from that bed mind u we paid $100 for one night and we got the "best" room. It was stinky, do not even use their shampoo it will make your hair feel like stoned. And breakfast.. lol. Terrible. Then we wanted to dry our clothes. And that dry machine doesnt even work lol. We spent money on it waited 30 min. Nope clothes were still wet! Trash hotel imo.Do not choose do not waste your money.

The mold in the bathroom especially around the bathtub was the worst I've ever seen in any hotel anywhere. The mold and 'stuff' accumulated in the exhaust fan was disgusting - it too had not been cleaned in ages. The bed was ancient. Beyond lumpy. When you sat on the edge, the top literally compressed all the way to the bottom. Road noise from the adjacent highway an issue. I'll not every stay there again.

The property was clean and in great condition. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The constant tractor trailer noise 24/7, with the hotel staddling 2 interstate highways made for little sleep (they upgraded the hotel, but not the sound proofing of the windows). The fact that the heat/AC unit in our room didn't work at all made it worse. I would not stay here again.

Nice hotel, clean and quiet. The mattress was somewhat uncomfortable. I paid just over $100 with tax, which is a little more than I usually like to spend for a room when I'm just stopping for the night during a long interstate drive, but less than what a Holiday Inn Express or similar chain would have cost. If you're looking for an overnight sleep-cheap there are less expensive hotels in the area, but you get what you pay for (free breakfast, etc,)

We had to bring our dogs with us at the last minute because we were attending a funeral. We had to leave them in a kennel in the room for several hours. Our room was near the lobby and the front desk staff could hear them cry for about 10-20 minutes but assured us that once they stopped, they were quiet the rest of the time. It was great to know that they understood our predicament and cared. The room was perfect and the price was affordable, even with the pet fee.

After taking care of some work-related business, I drove to the Harrisburg area for the night, and stayed at this Best Western, which was one of a few in the Harrisburg area. This one had an indoor pool and a hot tub, and was reasonably priced. So, it's the one I chose. It is right off the Pennsylvania Turnpike and Interstate 83. The two ladies working there, Jolene (assistant manager) and a new employee (her name was either Christine or Jennifer) were there to greet me when I came in. The new employee was a bit nervous, but Jolene did very well in teaching how how to handle when customers come in. She worked very well with the new employee. I also asked them both about a great place to eat. They recommended John's Family Diner, which was about a block away from the hotel. It was a nice, family-owned restaurant that used to be an Eat N' Park restaurant. The food was good. When I came back, I thanked them both for the suggestion. My room was decent and no complaints there. The pool was bit chilly for me, but the hot tub was so nice, after a long day. So yes, I would recommend this place to stay to others.

Good spot to stay. Friendly staff, clean rooms. Close to the interstate which makes it convenient but also you can hear the rush of cars from your room. The breakfast staff was great and everything was set out well. Ham was tasty, eggs could've been better quality. Overall it was a good spot. Pretty standard hotel fare.

They have the best staff! Joe and Vicky are the best, very friendly and will go the extra mile for their customers. I travel a lot for work and they make me feel so comfortable. I couldn't say enough about those two. Good rooms very comfortable and it's close to a lot of activities.

I am used to high quality best western hotels, and was surprised at the lack of care or warning at the state of this hotel. The staff were fine, so this is no emotional post, just disapointed with the experience after paying decent money. - I booked two queen beds, received two double beds. - The pool hot tub was out of order and that is fine, but it was drained right, and sits right beside the pool with no fence around and my boys almost fell into it. Also the hallway into the pool entrance was under construction, so we had to go outside (as dressed for swimming), in winter, to access the outdoor entrance. - Many of the lights in the pool room were out, and so it was very dim, and the pool was freezing cold. My boys (6 and 4) were so looking forward to the pool after a long drive and yet could only spend 5 minutes swimming because they were too cold. Overall very inimpressed.

The bedroom was ok but the bathroom was awful. Mold in shower, towel rack rusted, hole in the trim. Just look at the pictures. Breakfast was typical for that type of hotel. It was cheap and you get what you pay for.

What a wonderful overnight stay. I/we LOVED the staircase in the lobby to the second floor! It adds so much homelike charm. (Don't worry, there's a elevator) The room was roomy, comfortable and VERY clean. In addition, we were thrilled with a microwave, mini fridge and a coffee maker. There's a coffee/tea station in the lobby 24/7 and we were so happy to get a hot beverage after a very long drive. Such a nice extra! The breakfast is really terrific. Simple but, plentiful and delicious. I wouldn't change a thing about this slightly dated but, beautifullly decorated, clean, little gem. I would stay here over and over again.

Have stayed there for many years for Corvettes at Carlisle and encouraged others to do the same. Have left great reviews over the years.Used this hotel because they didn't seem to be in the Corvette "jack the price up" mode. Boy was I wrong. Went to reserve for 2019 and found room prices jacked up $40 a night from 100.40 in 2018. No explanation given after I asked so I asked for call back from manager, Of course that never happened. Too bad, our group has found another hotel.

Great location, near good (very good) low-cost restaurant, free breakfast, nice pool and fitness center, good internet. Unfortunately the pool was undergoing maintenance while we were there and we could not use it. Beds very comfortable. Everything clean!

The employees at this hotel are very nice and helpful.The rooms are average, but was told they would be remodleing this hotelearly next year.It is close to I-83 and the PA Turnpike.They could use more parking.If your room is on the backside you hear the road traffic.

Staff is the only reason the hotel is open. Breakfast was great. The servers are friendly and professional. Guest room was not cleaned properly. Carpet was dirty and old. The room had a water damage smell.

Our family stayed here while visiting our daughter at Messiah College. The room looked like it was very newly renovated and was very clean. The beds were VERY comfortable. We checked in late and were tired. Jo at the front desk was friendly, and very helpful. We were thankful to have a pullout couch and a rollaway for a small fee. Everyone had their own bed as desired. Krista, was also helpful in the breakfast room. Coffee bar and Cucumber water in thed lobby was a nice touch. I highly recommend the property it was a good value for the price.

My mother and I when to Hershey to see the RV show, we looked a room because we know we would be tired after walking all day. We booked a king size bed because it was cheaper then 2 queen size bed. The rooms could use some work, you can tell they started to up date but they aren't done. The bed spread had dried white paint on it, to the truth we were too tired to care, the staff was very nice. We asked for another blanket and more shampoo and the brought it right away once we checked it, the breakfast was very good and the coffee was great! If I was in the area again and had to stay down there I would stay there again.

We were disappointed that this hotel was classified as a Plus for Best Western. The employees were nice enough, but not overly. The rooms displayed quite shoddy workmanship. If they were remodeled for improvements, they fell short in the bathrooms especially. The tile/granite caulking/finishing and woodworking were clearly done by an amateur, or someone who cared nothing about doing the job correctly. Someone else posted an example photo of the door jamb...take a look.

We chose this location as we had several days in the are and wanted a larger room. This was a mistake. While it seems the management is trying to provide good service, housekeeping is terrible. Our bathroom was dirty at check-in and was never cleaned in our three days there. Only one day did we get clean towels, and only one day did they make the bed ... and these were on different days. Yes, when we went to the front desk to complain, get towels, etc., they were responsive and helpful, but at some point they will need to address the actual problem instead of just troubleshooting complaints. I would suggest staying somewhere else.

A complete and total re hall of your housekeeping staff needs to be done. While I was told one girl was fired in regards to not changing bed wetted sheets (apparently this was not the first problem the hotel had with her) I was not satisfied with the rest of the days we were there either.Checked in Tuesday night.Wednesday- no house keeping at allThursday - asked for sheets to be changed and bed to be sanitized because of a bed wet. Sheets were not changed, other beds in room were not made. Dirty towels were re hung and there was no replacement of toilet paper or spare roll left in bathroom. So I had to change sheets at 11pm at night with 3 tired kids in the room. After having to go downstairs and request toilet paper because there wasn't enough for us to use.Friday - one bed made, other bed was told they couldn't make due to bed rails on bed ( claimed they were "personal items") couch bed had comforter pulled up and tucked in, but sheet was still crumbled underneath at foot of bed.At that point I was glad we left on Saturday. Unfortunately I think we will be looking for a different hotel to stay at for our family vacation next year.All this aggravation and I was only given a $20 discount on my bill. Not enough in my opinion to keep me as a customer.AND - I wouldn't be surprised if the bed still hasn't been sanitized. Disgusting. Makes me think hot only about this hotel but all hotels overall.

When we arrived here for a hockey tournament, our room had hair on the sheets, glitter on the sheets, stains on the mirror and a humid, foul smelling aroma due to the ac being shut off. Our neighbors room was unkept as well. Another one of our friends that stayed woke up with bed bug bites all over his body!!!! Do not stay here!!! Book the Sheraton in Harrisburg a few miles away!

This is our second time staying at this hotel. We have been here both times to be in town for a soccer tournament. Both times we had weird issues with our room. Last year, we were given (and walked into) a room that was still in use! We were upgraded for our inconvenience. This year the bathroom did not look fully clean (hair on floor) and when we went to get in our beds that evening there were no top sheets on the beds. We called the front desk who promptly brought them up to us. For the price of the room, we would stay again. Employees are friendly.

Room was filthy. Was told maid was lazy and didnt like to vacuum, then she didnt clean our room, just emptied the trash once over a 3 day stay. Managers solution when I told her this was to offer me a free stay when I live 8 hours away....

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone! Our overnight stay was a nightmare! The floor in the room had trash on it, obviously hadn't been swept. The beds had obviously just been remade after the last guest, dirty sheets and all. There was one towel in the bathroom. No liners in the trash cans, half a roll of toilet paper and the Kleenex box was empty. The front desk said they would have housekeeping get us towels and change sheets. Came back an hour and a half later, and nothing had been done. We had to change our own sheets, and they had no towels! They said towels were in the dryer and they would bring us some. They never brought them. Went to the desk the next morning and was told again no towels! So our family of 4 had to all use the same towel so we could clean up and get out of that dump! Also, vending machines were almost empty. Thank goodness for the Speedway next door so we could get a bottle of water to drink. I have never had a worse experience at a hotel ever!

We were supposed to have a suite, no chair, no microwave and the room stunk! There was a deodorizer We complained were given a card to check out another room and told if we took it leave the card in the old room. When we took the card back to the desk it was "you took the other room ok" The new room had 1 garbage can, plugs in washroom did not work, no laundry bag. Soap was still in the shower, and a bobby pin on the floor by TV still there Sunday when we left. Left Friday morning for Carisle. Came back late afternoon new towels, bed made, not sure if it was vacuumed as the bobby pin was still there. Left Saturday morning when we came back the room had not been touched. Sitting in the room Sunday morning they knock about 9:00 to clean room! Tried to sign on to their site since arriving Thursday "unsafe connection do not recommend" Decided to use the public computer before leaving Sunday, one had a note not working, the other was a black screen. Asked the girl at the desk who really didn't seem to care replied I don't use those I use this one so don't know anything about them. We were very disappointed that this represents Best Western.

First off, I am a flexible traveler and appreciate that hotels are all different and that when you pay a lower price - you have to be even more flexible. I hold the line on cleanliness and noise. This hotel is the worst. The person who checked me in wore a filthy BW sweater. Could not care less about checking me in. I got to my room and the carpet was filthy, the bed sheets not clean- I demanded new sheets, which was an ordeal to get. Loud music was playing in the lobby and stairwell. I cut my 5 day reservation short and checked out the next morning. Never going back.

Room was dirty, no linens, towels, etc. Breakfast was a joke. Only two hot items which were ham and eggs. The eggs had no flavor. We had to ask for everything towels, blankets, and for the room to be cleaned and it never was! Was afraid to sleep on the bed (had black hair on it). Watched outsiders (not guest) get out of there car and sneak into the pool (door had been left open with a rock by a worker). We paid way too much to be treated this way. I do not recommend.

I came in for a 3 day conference at the Clarion next door, and although many attendees were staying there I opted for the best western plus after I had a phone conversation with Leah at the front desk. I have a autoimmune related illness that I am working on healing from and I needed to confirm that I would be able to get a room that was clean, smoke free, and that would be vacuumed daily while I was a guest as not to contribute to my allergies. I was told it wouldn't be a problem and both leah and Destiny (Who helped me check in) were super helpful. The room was not totally clean but wasn't too bad. When I came back after a LONG first day- ready to sleep- came to a room that had not been cleaned AT ALL. They move me to another room (and although I was exhausted I had to pack all my stuff up and move it) so imagine my frustration when the second room had bedsheets that hadn't been changed from the previous guest ??. The second room was much dirtier than the first also. I was so disappointed with the lack of follow through on what was promised. I know I won't stay at this location again, and I regret trusting the BW brand. If you don't mind DIRTY rooms, lazy housekeeping staff and other travel issues than you are fine.

My daughter and I stayed in a room with two queen beds for one night late May 2018. There are a lot of wonderful aspects to the hotel. The included breakfast was delicious. The room was cleaned and spacious. The flavored water in the lobby, as well as coffee, was delightful. There is a pool and spa. The front desk clerk was friendly and helpful. And, the rate of $85 was, in my opinion, reasonable. With so much to like about this hotel, I wish I could give it five stars. But, I can't . . . There are serious problems. The first problem occurred when my daughter and I returned to our room after dinner. The door was not closed. Odd. I thought that my daughter had forgotten to close the door and dismissed it. The next time we left the room, I noticed that you had to actively close the door, holding the handle the whole time for the door to close. I thought it was just a problem with our room. However, upon returning to the room another time, I thought the room with the open door was our room. It belonged to the neighboring room . . . wide open door, with the occupants' luggage and other personal belongings scattered throughout the room, completely unsecured. The occupants were not there and did not know their door was open. I took a nap and woke up so sore I could barely move. I thought that I had just slept in a strange position and dismissed it. However, in the middle of the night, I woke up in pain. It was the bed. In my life, I have never slept in a bed so uncomfortable. I am not a bed diva. But, the bed was so uncomfortable I literally slept on the floor. So, in conclusion, I can't recommend this hotel, although I really want to recommend it.

Ok my husband and I wanted to enjoy a nice and relaxing stay. This hotel has a lot of little issues. 1) The fireplace in the room is s beautiful setting but you need to have the stay come and turn it on. Once the pilot is out they have to come reset it which becomes annoying. 2) Ok this is a decent size hotel, I went to the front seat to ask for extra pillows and was told “they don't have extra pillows to spare”. I have never been to a hotel where they don't have enough pillows to give extra. 3) The light blew out I was told my the maintenance man that he will return to put it in. Never the less he never came back to change it. 4) Last but not least the management of the hotel allow children to run up and down the halls which is aggravating to listen to when you're trying to relax. They just need to give this place some love and it would be a better place to stay.

Customers service help with locations of spa was great. Amber was helpful and brought more blankets to room. Room were clean. Kristin in charge of breakfast was awesome very helpful choices were good had stuff for everyone not like other hotels continental breakfast would come back again

I have stayed at this location many times in the last 10 years. I don't know if it's new ownership or greed, they raised the rates over $30. Will be staying across the street next trip. Nice location close to a diner, but there are 4 other hotels nearby which are a better value.

This is a very clean, convenient and friendly hotel. The free breakfast was a little better than average with a wide variety of choices in hot and cold breakfast items. The breakfast room attendant was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and well tended. The front desk attendant was on duty all weekend long and was extremely efficient, friendly, and helpful. Great place to stay and reasonable price.

I stayed three nights. The first night was ok minus the weird smoke/incense smell on the third floor but it started raining the second night and the roof was leaking into my room with pieces of the ceiling falling down (this was at 1am). The staff was accommodating and moved me to another room. It's not fun to pack up all of your things at 1am and unpack them again in case you were wondering. Well the second room was warm and the AC would not come on. Rinse, lather, repeat and on to the third room. By the time I got unpacked again it was already 4 in the morning. I got a whopping hour and a half of sleep before I had to be awake which absolutely ruined the day. At a minimum, I should have been comped a day... Really I would have expected being comped for two days after putting up with all of this nonsense. Didn't get anything yet but allegedly I'm receiving a measly 20% off my bill. Would not recommend staying here at this time.

Just my opinion. I stay in best westerns frequently and this one was the worst in years. It needs renovation quick. No mini fridge. No microwave. Best westerns signatures. The carpet is badly worn and needs tp be replaced. Although I will stay at best westerns again probably not this one.

The hotel was clean and allows you to bring pets! This was a huge plus for us when we visited the area for a wedding. Our dog seemed to enjoy himself too. Plenty of parking and sniff area for the dog.

The employees at the check-in desk were some of the nicest hotel employees I've ever met! I stay in best Westerns a lot because they are reliably satisfactory for the price, but this one seemed even better than normal.

This was a great place to stay while in PA. The staff is outstanding and hotel was spotless. Breakfast every morning was good. It is pet friendly as well. We would stay there again, we highly recommend.

I will not be staying at this hotel in the future. This location is not concerned with the safety of it's guests. Any hotel that does not do any treatments to make sure their guests can get to their vehicle with out slipping and falling is not a safe place to saty

The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was clean, but the bathroom could use a deep scrubbing. The AC didn't work. The room temperature remainded at 77. The fridge was off when I got there. I had to adjust the temp after realizing my food was not cool. The card reader for the door was broken. The front desk clerk had to keep letting me in with the master key. I probably will find another place to stay on my next visit.

I made reservations for five days to stay at Best Western Plus in New Cumberland, Pa. The first night was fine and then upon returning to my room on the second night I found that my bed was partially made and someone had been sitting on my bed with as though watching TV. I called the front desk and they moved me to another room. While take a shower in this room the curtain rod fell off the way, shower curtain on the floor, and water all over the floor. I was then moved to a third room and before I could unpack the front desk person checked the room and found that the bathroom had not been cleaned. I am now moved to my fourth room which seemed okay. I went out to dinner and upon returning I noticed a chemical smell and, once again, called the front desk. The person at the front desk noticed the smell immediately. We discussed what to do and I decided to stay in the room. Around 11:30 pm the smell became so strong that I packed my bags and left the hotel. I called the Corporate office of Best Western Plus and was offered free stays which I refused because of my bad experiences already. The next day I returned to the hotel and spoke to the manager who blamed all he problems that occurred on their computer program that does not update properly and on sloppy housekeeping. No other apologies were made. They charged me for one night stay. Because of this experience I will never stay at a Best Western facility anywhere. I spent my partial night at Holiday Inn Express and told the of my "nightmare visit" and they told me that Best Western Plus was given a higher rating then them for the area. I have no idea why that would be. Holiday Inn Express was an excellent hotel with may more amenities available.

I stay here regularly and the room is always clean and the hotel staff friendly. I recommend this place to anyone that is staying in the area. It's also very convenient, right off of the highway and a good launching point to explore Harrisburg.

The place is easy to get to, close to the highway. I checked in around 8pm, we had an ice storm earlier that day and getting home was not an option. The clerk was very friendly, check in could of been a little quicker, but was adequate. I asked about handicapped parking and was told where the spots where at, They could of done a better job in cleaning the parking lot. If someone would of been in a wheelchair they may have had issues. I got my stuff and headed into the hotel, took the elevator to the second floor and walked down to my room. First issue is the key card would not work, so I drag all my stuff back down the reception area. The clerk told me the door must need reprogrammed,but they couldn't do it. I asked if they had another room like I booked which they did not, he was kind of enough to let me in the room with a key, was kind of a pain but okay. I get settled in the room and turn the heat on it was chilly in the room. I needed to get some dinner, so I proceeded to put my cold stuff in the fridge, the fridge was warm but I thought maybe it had be off, so I turned the thermostat up. I called and ordered my food, went and picked it up, had the clerk let me back in my room again. I ate my dinner and watched some TV, while doing schoolwork on my laptop, the Wifi worked great. I had a Jacuzzi suite, so decided I was going to take a nice long hot bath. I checked the fridge again, still not cold, so I turned all the way off and back on thought maybe it needed reset, still nothing, I unplugged it and tried again, still nothing. So I just did without it. I set the thermostat again because it was still a little chilly in the room, I had to turn it to on to keep it running or it would shut off. After this I ran the water int eh Jacuzzi, got in and relaxed for about 30 minutes. It was a little hard to get in and out of but was worth it. the bed was nice and comfortable, the room was a nice size and clean. The next morning when I did check, I spoke to the GM and explained my issues. They GM and clear where very friendly and gave me a discount off the room due to the inconveniences. I would recommend staying here and they would of got a higher rating if not for the little issues.

Staff was amazingly accommodating! They were great friendly clean best experience ever at a hotel highly recommend!!! Great environment tons of extras let us chick in early and check out late pool room was clean and the kids had a blast wish I knew the name of the mepployee who ran breakfast she was amazing!

We spent one night waiting for the snowstorm to end to continue on our way to Ottawa, the stay was enjoyable, breakfast was good, Not microwave on the Room, hot water was very good, Room to the highway side are noisy but after you sleep are ok.

Looked for a decent price hotel for a quick one night stop on way to Florida. Pros....all staff very friendly and helpful, King room was very large and clean, breakfast lots of variety, nice tea and coffee machine in lobby with hot chocolate too. Very easy to find off the I-83 Cons......found bed to be to firm ( and I like firm beds ) plus they do not use mattress covers so the sheets slipped off during the night and we found ourselves sleeping on the bare mattress also no night light so bring one from home as room was very dark.

I really loved this hotel. I took the family to Hershey Park Candyland and needed a budget hotel that would sleep 6 people. The hotel is conveniently located directly off of I-83. The room has 2 queen beds and a couch bed. I loved the spa tub. The kids loved the pool and fitness room. TV had tons of channels. Lime water, coffee, hot chocolate,and a microwave are conveniently available in the lobby at all times. The breakfast was delicious. The staff was very nice and helped us out with anything that we asked for. I would stay here again when traveling in the Hershey/Harrisburg area.

Very clean and warming environment. Happily greeted by staff. Breakfast was outstanding with waffles eggs sausage bagels yogurt cereal etc. Would recommend. Breakfast staff was very friendly and helpful.

Front desk person was friendly and exuded Holiday Spirit. Pool was just right and clean. Breakfast was just right. Server keeping area clean and food replenished. Location near Turnpike Exit and convenient to Harrisburg area. Room clean and fresh.

We stayed at other hotels in the immediate area and found Best Western to be the best. We recommended they add more ADA handles in the shower and other than that we enjoyed our stay. The staff from the front desk to the women who set up and worked the breakfast to those attending to our rooms were all very helpful and friendly.

I stayed here for business about 9 months earlier and was pleased to find it was clean and the televisions were new with a full Direct TV package. I decided to stay again for business... What the heck happened. The front desk staff were pleasant and the common areas were clean and orderly. The room was horrible. The walls and carpet were stained and extremely dirty. I used an extra blanket which was stored in a bag inside a drawer. The blanket was full of burn holes. There were police outside the hotel, responding to some sort of incident, on two of the evenings. When I came back to my room on the third evening after work the blanket was lying in the middle of the floor.

Staff was helpful and friendly! Room was great! Jacuzzi was wonderful! Breakfast smelled delicious and I will try it next time! Pool was very clean and relaxing! We are already looking forward to out next stay! Thank you very much!

The caulk around bathtub needs soft scrub with bleach. The bed wasn't all the way made up when we arrived at 9pm. Check in staff great. Lady managing breakfast great. Room not that clean hair in sink.

No refund no sorry no next time that won't happen again. The service I was givin was nasty and the whole reason in chose that hotel was for the juccuzzi. I was highly upset and most likely won't stay there again

We have been staying at this same motel for a week in October for the last few years. It is clean and quiet, comfortable. Breakfast was decent as expected. The pool and hot tub looked nice but we did not use those.

Management has made great strides to make a nice place to stay. We were able to check in early with no hassles. The room and hotel were clean and the breakfast was good. The fitness room is nice. The pool and hot tub were nice as well. Our room had just been painted so it's unfair to really judge it and the lack of pictures etc. The TV was larger and nice.. The furnishings are older, the carpet too BUT everything was clean- the beds were nice

The Best Western Plus was a great value, and the facilities were very good. The staff was exceptionally helpful. The breakfast was better than most. The Western omlette particularly. The recommendation for dinner was spot on. I'd stay here again.

My husband & I were looking for a night away from home. This was nice, quiet & romantic. Room was clean, front desk staff was accommodating. maybe a few repairs to room could be done, but otherwise a great trip

It was a good stay. Hotel is conveniently loated to attend to several activities in the Harrisburg Pa. area. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great in the mornings. They gave and located places such as church and places with directions for me. Will stay again when in the area.

This is an average hotel at best. Bathrooms were outdated and mattresses were sub-standard for the weekend rates being charged. I had higher expectations for this hotel given the rates being charged for the weekend. I've stayed at much nicer hotels for the same rate or less. Exercise room is small and inadequately equipped. No issues with the support staff and general cleanliness. Hotel just Lobby and rooms just needs some updating. Lobby area should have a flat screen TV for guests who may arrive early and have to wait for their room to be ready.

Just a quick stay in the middle of a road trip. Everything was fast and easy. Location was perfect right off the highway. Check-in took less than 3-4 minutes and checking out took 30 seconds. Breakfast to go was good!

hotel location was ok, easy to get to Hershey and not far from Lancaster and the Amish sites. Staff friendly, breakfast was ok ish ( those awful sausages though, please America, they made be cheap but those sausages are terrible). ROOMS waaay too noisy, got two rather poor nights sleep.

This is an OK place to stay. Rooms seem clean and quiet. The checkin staff was friendly. This is an older hotel and the furnishings seemed old. But we had a pleasant stay and a good night sleep and breakfast.

I have stayed and reviewed this hotel before while attending Corvettes at Carlisle, and am once again impressed by the staff and facility. Check in under two minutes, room immaculate. Mattress seemed like new. Lobby, pool, breakfast room all terrific. Ice machines, soda and snack machines all work perfectly. Pricing very competitive. Parking secure. Already made reservations for next year.

would give this hotel good ratings. went for car show weekend. will stay again next year. hotel has indoor pool & Jacuzzi & fitness center. Breakfast selection were ok, typical breakfast selections included with most hotels.

Super friendly night clerk when we checked in. Was helpful on helping us find a place for dinner and for directions as well. The breakfast lady was super attentive and went and go things when they ran low. She was really sweet. Have a great pool and hot tub. They brought down towels when I told them they were out. The room had a smell to it. I found out later that they allow pets so that might be what the smell was but I don't know for sure. The sofa bed had candy wrappers and various trash in it. We stayed for 2 nights and the maid didn't come into our room to make the beds or tidy up. The hotel is old and dusty. For the price we paid, it was a nice hotel.

Hotel staff friendly! Shower was awesome, great water pressure! Beds comfortable and so were pillows. Enjoyed hot tub and pool! Breakfast was good. Standard waffles, eggs, sausage. Second day they had sausage and biscuits, made son happy

Great hotel! Manager was super pleasant and helpful with area information. Hotel clean. Variety of breakfast choices. Rooms were well lit, clean and spacious considering we had 5 people in our party. Hotel is right off interstate and is about 20 minutes from Hershey and 30 minutes from Lancaster.

The room we got was fine. Would have liked more outlets to plug in our electronics, but otherwise the room itself was fine. The hallway outside our room reeked of smoke, but it did not penetrate our room so I was happy about that. At one point my son held his breath to the elevator to avoid it. The carpet in the hallway was a mess due to someone spewing food related stuff all over the place. I did hope that it would have been cleaned up by the time we got to our room that evening but it looked like they just vacuumed over it. Still did not want to walk on it lest we get it all on our shoes and then into our room. Overall, though, we accomplished getting our son to school and we all slept okay. Bathroom was very clean. Not quite the experience I'm used to with Best Western, but next time I will stay at a Premier instead of a Plus.

You get what you pay for. It's manageable if you're only staying 1 night. Rooms and hallways smell of smoke from year's past. In need of new carpeting, paint and drapes to get rid of smell. Beds are not too comfortable but again price is right if only needing to stay one night.

We requested a 2 queen suite and the room we were given was still be occupied! When we went back to the front desk, we said we could get by with a smaller room, and they were able to give us a king suite instead for the same price. Towels were not plentiful. None at the pool, and when I asked (twice) at the front desk, I was told they were being laundered. All of them. Kinda weird for a hotel to not have any towels at the ready.

If your just looking for a place to crash, it's OK. Don't expect much. The hallways and rooms smelled of smoke. My guess is, they allowed smoking when the hotel was built, but have never changed the carpets and drapes, which just hold onto that musty smell.

The room had several problems. I reported one of them, the phone was flashing, I was told to disconnect it. The others I noticed when gathering my things to leave, towels on the top of the window curtain, or did not report, loose toilet seat. The hotel had a problem report card that I filled out and had my Grandson give to the desk clerk. He told me she glared at him.

The hotel needs an update but was in a good location and the staff were friendly and helpful. There seems to be a problem with the door locks that should be addressed. We were unable to access our room after returning from breakfast and the front desk staff had to come and reprogram the lock.

We always try to use Best Western for all our hotel needs. Good value, good locations, nice rooms and service. You always know what you are going to get. It is nice to be recognized as a valuable customer with nice benefits.

Easy access off I83, 15 min to Hersheypark and under 10 to downtown Harrisburg. Very clean, staff is exemplary. Gene at the front desk was on the ball with a couple of issues that arose including our door not opening several times - he had maintenance there to replace the lock battery very quickly. Indoor pool and hot tub are a good temperature, and towels are generally provided. We had a situation with a group of baseball kids that totally took over one evening and made the pool and hot tub both unusable with constant shouting and very rowdy horseplay (they must've displaced 200 gal of water!) and then they left small ones unattended when we finally were able to get in the pool! I let Gene at the desk know and he went right down to check it out. The gal who does breakfast is super as well- keeps the room and counters clean, is on the ball stocking food, and offers some different options each day. Plenty to choose from. She's sweet and makes guests feel welcome. Housekeeping does a good job - hallways clean and entire property looks great. Rooms are very clean. Our tub was even cleaned during our stay each day, which often is not done at hotels. Towels are a good size and fluffy. Bed comfort was an issue as the mattresses can definitely use replacing, at least in our room. Squeaky and a bit saggy. Biggest issue we had was that on Sunday after using the pool we had no hot water for showering before going out for the day, not fun with chlorine on us all! At check out the next day the clerk was basically like, "oh nobody else said anything sorry that sucks" but I was willing to overlook it since everything else was so nice there. We enjoyed the property and location, and as we often are in the area we do plan to return.

I was very disgusted with the housekeeping staff at this hotel I have stayed at other best westerns and this is by far the worst. We had housekeeping not empty our trash (which had breakfast plates and other items) the first day or two. The rugs were dirty and dingy. The bathroom floor wasn't ever cleaned. There were items that needed to be cleaned up under the sink counter that were never cleaned up during our entire stay. Also there aren't enough plugs or outlets for anyone, even a business person, to plug in their electronics. The door stuck terribly too. You had to push and pull really hard to get in or out. I am sad to say I will have to find another hotel or best western to stay out if I ever come that way again.

The staff was great and the hotel was clean. The breakfast was pretty great. It was extremely peaceful. The staff went out of their way to help us out and ask about our comfort and be a part of it. I would love to stay here again and feel right at home.

The hotel was extremely comfortable; however, the best part of the stay was the gentleman who checked us in upon arrival. The pool room was perfect, and the room exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend this location. The price was a little high for this area.

While this hotel could use some updates, our room was great. The bed was super comfortable, the room was quiet and I slept great! Another plus was the shower. The bathroom itself could use some updates, but the shower pressure was perfect after a long tiring day. The staff was amazing as well. Would definitely stay there again

Stayed here many times; shows no sign of improvement or upgrades. The staff is the only reason I keep returning to this motel, they to all they can to make my stay a good one. I stay in many Best Westerns, this one could be at the top if owners invested in the property.

We satyed for one week while in SE PA. The first night was rocky with out of control children on the third floor. The staff did so much to make the rest of our visit pleasant. The rest of the week was wonderful. Pros: high water pressure; plenty of hot water; adjustable shower heads; nice pool and hot tub; large rooms; great breakfast choices, the hot food changes daily; easy access from hwy 83; close to some yummy restaurants; very pleasant and helpful staff. Cons: exterior doors are not always secure; our room did not have a peep hole; they seem to utilize lean staffing, so asking for things is sometimes you going to get them.. this is not a big problem because the hotel is small enough and the walk to front desk is short. Overall a great experience, we would probably choose this site again. Thank you to all the staff for making our 'stress free vacation' stress free!

From the time we arrived at the hotel, Ashley was amazing. Very accommodating and excellent customer service. Once she was relieved, Tina took over and followed suit. Both ladies exemplifies excellent customer service.

The staff at this location went above and beyond to make sure our stay was the best we have ever had! We travel almost every weekend so I have a lot of places to compare this stay too! The rooms were clean, comfortable, and updated. Breakfast was delicious and there was a great variety of choices. The pool was clean and comfortable. And the staff was the best you could ask for!

My family and I loved loved loved our stay here. The entire staff was beyond friendly and helpful. I would like to give a big THANK YOU to ASHLEY!!! She was so sweet and went out of her way for not only my family but so many others there. We all felt so comfortable with her! Very professional too!! Breakfast was great! There was so much to choose from and it wasn't the same thing everyday or every other day. Indoor pool and jacuzzi was big plus with my kids! Fitness center was open 24/7! Vending machines had good choices! I will definitely be returning. It's not often you stay and the staff makes you feel like long time friends/ family!

The staff, The Hotel, the rooms, pool and breakfast is the best. 20 mins from Hershey. I never had a bad thing to stay about this hotel. It is so clean everywhere and smells so good. I love this best Western and the staff makes you feel like family.

We stayed at this hotel to attend an event in the area. We were not looking for any special luxuries, just a place to get some sleep for our early morning the following day. My daughters were excited about the indoor pool so I let them swim for a bit, but we found what we believe to be mold in the pool and hot tube. We are not 100% certain that is what it was, but it was black like mold. We were disappointed in that. I used the fitness center and was pleased with the cleanliness of that area as well as the machines. Our room was good except for the bathroom which looked like the floor hadn't been cleaned. We did not prefer the beds, they were a bit hard, but I know everyone has their own preference for beds and pillows. My girls were very pleased with the breakfast that was offered. For the price we paid it was an okay stay.

The beds were terrible and the breakfast inedible. Overall cleanliness was mediocre. The staff was pleasant, but that just doesn't matter to us as much as a good nights rest. I will not go back or recommend it

The room smelled terrible of mold and musty. AC had mold around it and in it. Mattress and linens badly stained. Need to clean the carpets and vacuum the hallways. Dirty and disgusting. We asked for new linens as they smelled of men's cologne.

I absolutely agree you get what you pay for but this hotel it was way more expensive than they should have charged our team. I think they took advantage that it was Memorial Day weekend and a soccer team was here for a large tournament with limited availability in the area, so why not charge more! Its frustrating we were charged $120/night even though other websites reflected a much lower price of $75-85/night for the same hotel. If we weren't already booked and paid up with the team I would have cancelled. I can handle outdated hotels but I can not handle dirty hotels. There is no reason it should have looked the way it did, its just common sense. When we arrived the curtains were broken and falling off the rod, my husband stood on a chair to try and hang it back up, it was actually broken, so he just throw the curtain up the best he could. This was an obvious fix that shouldn't have been overlooked, why wouldn't housekeeping or someone form the hotel fix this? Then I walked into the bathroom and saw some red sticky stuff on the floor with hair/fuzz in it. I grabbed my role of paper towels and Lysol wipes and began wiping down the entire bathroom floor, there was mold and dirt too. Just nasty. Then I went to sit on my bed, the springs were so old and squeaky everyone began to laugh! The bed sank low to the floor and it was the squeakiest bed I've even been in. This was TV bad. Every time I had to adjust or move slightly in the bed it squeaked so loudly it woke everyone up. Seriously comical. You can tell of the quality in the room and hotel. I've attached some photos. I have never in all my reviews attached photos, but this was such a comical experience for me and my family I was sending them to my sister and friends! The TV was put on top of the only dresser in the room and this same dresser had the only mirror in the room! So we couldn't use the mirror which made it difficult for a family of 4 to get ready every morning because the only mirror available now is in the bathroom. The staff at the front desk was kind, and I don't blame them for the poor quality and outdated hotel. I do think a lot more can be done for cleanliness and they should take more pride in that. We did not complain to the hotel because the entire hotel was completely booked and so was every other hotel in the area due to the holiday weekend and the soccer tournament. Really, they couldn't have changed out my mattress and were they going to paint over the mold in the bathroom? It wasn't worth it. I cleaned the room the best I could myself and didn't want to get switched to another room I would need to clean. Also, the thin white bedspread was dirty, you could see fingerprints or something on it so I pulled it off and got my blanket from the car to use during our stay.

The hotel was very modern with plenty of space and a great breakfast. The room was very big! There were very many choices within walking distance to eat and drink and the hotel was right off the highway which made it easy to come and go.

This hotel did not meet BW Plus expectations. Rooms were a bit worn and need updating. Linens were old. Decor was minimal. There was a hole under sink exposing pipes. Service was ok. Only stayed one night, so put up with it. Would find another place to stay next time.

The room was clean and comfortable. This was a convenient location for an overnight stay on our trip south. Staff was friendly and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed. Breakfast area was clean and well stocked

Smoke detector system lights on witch means they system was reset, rooms needed to be dusted bed frame stuck out caused a trip hazard pool/hot tub disgusting rugs stains in room & hallway, crumbs in bed, tip hazard fro in room refreshment area door keys didn't work all around dissapointment

Friendly staff. Krista rules the breakfast room. She goes above and beyond to ensure a good experience. Food offered: cold cereals, pastries, hot/HB eggs, meat, fruit, yogurt, waffles. Room and lobby area fairly clean. Dust from painting the ceiling was evident on the lobby steps during our 5day stay. Found stains on bed and bath linens. Bed sleep quality fair. First and second floors non-smoking. Third floor smoking rooms. Lots off good restaurants at same exit.

The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast is generous. The rooms are spacious and clean. But the hotel itself is a bit old. Our curtain was falling off the rod, and the whole first floor had a strong smell of bleach or disinfectant. The small pool & jacuzzi got totally overrun by unsupervised loud children. It's also very close to the highway. Not TERRIBLE, but not what you'd want for a couple getaway. Fine for business or solo.

I will search out another place to stay. Stay 6 nights a year in this area. I found torn curtains. the bathroom floor was dirty, and had broken tiles and tiles missing in the corner that you could hurt yourself on. had to unplug lights in the room to plug in the coffee maker. hot in the hallway. The breakfast room had no air conditioning, and I was sweating in there eating breakfast. I travel 12 weekends a year and I am so tired of waffles and the same old items to eat. I will find another place to stay in the area.

We stayed over Easter Weekend. It was very clean, comfortable, and the staff were all very friendly. They take pride in their work. The breakfast was really good. The amenities were all really great. We will definitely come back and stay again.

This was a quick easy stop for us. The desk attendant was friendly and helpful. We stayed in room 215...I think. The only issue we had was the lights in the hall and bathroom came on automatically when you walked into the room. This meant at night when ever you moved around the room or walked into the bathroom the lights came on! Not good when others are sleeping. We had to tape a wash cloths across the sensors to keep it dark in the room. Kind of weird if you ask me and the lady at the desk knew nothing about it. Other than that issue the room was clean, the beds were comfortable and the breakfast was great.

The room smelled like cigarette smoke, a new room wasn't provided, no compensation for this inconvenience was provided. No management employees on site for the entire weekend to address this issue. Staff was very unkept and smoking at the entrance to the hotel. The furniture in the rooms had stains on them, a pillow had an old blood stain on it. This was the first hotel room that I've ever been in that didn't provide a microwave.

Excellent staff!!! Family friendly. Close to restaurants and easy access off highway. 30 mins from Hershey Park. Great value!! Free parking, free WiFi and free breakfast. Kids loved the indoor pool and hot tub. But- the highlight for me was the staff!!

Grandma, Grandpa, Mom, Dad, 9 and 6 year old. Two rooms. Indoor pool big hit with kids. Decent free breakfast hit with everyone. 20 min. drive(a little further than hotels off 39,but less expensive) to Hershey and close to other dining. Just a little improvement could be used. Don't really care for little pillows(seem to be everywhere lately). Overall a nice place to stay at a reasonable price. Everyone very nice and friendly. Keep in mind this not the Waldorf,but for a tenth the price, a great value! I would recommend.

I stayed there last month and it was horrible!!! First off I went to check in it appeared that no one was working the front desk after about 5 minutes of standing around and knocking on the counter and saying "Hello" the girl finally woke up. She was sleeping in the chair beside the desk and it was only 7pm. She looked like she was partying too much the night before, and was paying for it makeup can only cover so much! She gives me a room on the 3rd floor. When the elevator door opened it smelled like cigarettes and marijuana. Overpowering!!!. When I went to open the room door, my key didn't work, so I went back down and the girl just brushed it off as oh it's a battery issue. Why give me a room if you already know it has a battery issue? She let me into my room and it smelled like cheap perfume. The room hardly looked cleaned, like the housekeepers changed the sheets and spent 5 minutes cleaning if that. Thankfully I carry Lysol wipes and cleaned the bathroom and main area myself. The next morning the breakfast room was full of construction workers that made it hard to find a spot to sit, the breakfast girl spent more time flirting with the workers then doing her job. I waited 20 minutes for her to refill the sausage, and then it was still not cooked the whole way. At check out the girl seemed like I was bothering her by checking me out and wanting a receipt, she was more worried about her phone. Defiantly need to get new staff. Sleeping, flirting and being on their phones are more important than the customers paying their wages. My advice....their are a few other hotels around in that area chose one of them and stay away from Best Western Plus!!!

I travel a ton for business. I have stayed at hundreds of hotels. The Best Western hotels are clean, affordable and consistent with good service. This location in particular is well maintained. It is close to some really good restaurants.

The lobby was very clean and well taken care of- The female staff Members were friendly but the guy at check in was not friendly at all- made me feel like I'd rather check in elsewhere. The rooms were okay but had a horrible smell, which made sleeping there a lot less enjoyable and there seemed to be cat litter in the corner of the floor under he sink.

Pool was warm and well-maintained. Free Continental breakfast offered two waffle makers, eggs, sausage, yogurt, fresh fruit, oatmeal, dry cereal, baked goods, and juices. Every member of the staff was friendly and helpful. Direct TV offered a variety of television viewing options. Room was clean and quiet. Decor was pretty standard. Mattresses were firm. Refrigerators in room. Good location for visiting area attractions. (We visited Gettysburg and Hershey Park.) Nearby John's Diner has excellent food choices.

This hotel offers free breakfast each morning including fresh waffles.there is always fresh coffee and bottled water available. it has a great pool and spa along with an exercise room. there is free WiFi. Its a great place to stay. Welcomes children and your pets.

Traveling with friends, we found the location perfect for the different attractions we wanted to visit, Gettysburg, Hershey Chocolate factory, and the Amish Country. It was easy on and off the freeway. Restaurants nearby. The staff was friendly and helpful. We would certainly return.

I am staying 3 nights for business here. For the money, I think it's good. The breakfast items are fine. The room is fine. The tv is big flat-screen and channel selections are great and most channels are HD. My room has a mini fridge but no microwave. If you request it ahead of time, you might get a microwave oven. Overall, I would recommend this hotel. For those that smoke, they still have smoking rooms.

I had booked online with Best Western for 2 consecutive nights in October, but when life happened I had to change the reservation. I wanted to chop off the first of two nights, but the web site didn't ask me which night to chop and unceremoniously chopped off the second night. I was horrified when the web site told me that the second night that I wanted to stay was no longer available, full from the local car show! I called the national phone number and they couldn't help me. When I called this property directly, Victoria was able to save the day and correct my reservation to the one night that I really needed. She should be commended as employee of the month!

The hotel was very nice and clean. The staff was very professional, helpful and friendly. It is pet friendly. This was my first time at Best Western Plus and I will definitely come back to stay again.

My wife and I reserved a room for 3 nights with a Jacuzzi and fireplace. When we checked in we were told that the hotel manager over booked our room and instead we were given a room with two double beds. The second night we were moved to a room with a Jacuzzi, no fireplace. Totally false advertising, I don't even think they had rooms with a fireplace! We rarely have any "get aways" for just the two of us, and we were disappointed that we didn't get the room we reserved. I had a number of other hotels I could have chosen if I knew that all I was getting was a room with two beds.

Enjoyed our stay in this suite. Rained most of our time, but return to a nice dry and clean room. Would say try it out for yourself, you will be happy you did. We are, and come to this suite twice a year!

As all $100-150 rooms are going to be pretty much the same usually having alot of cracks with patch work to walls, in need of new furniture, I had to fix an access panel on the hot tub, carpet had a huge marker stain, no lotion, no tissue, my point is that if owner's wanted to stop being cheap and correctly fix the issues, they could probably charge more and have a better place. Not the worst, but could have been really good.

After weeks on the road, and the last day in the US before we caught a flight to Portugal, we were hoping for some rest. Upon returning from dinner, whines and then screeches started from the room next door. I called the front desk to report an unattended dog, she seemed to know about it, said the owner had just popped out for a few minutes for a bite to eat and the dog had separation anxiety disorder (um, so the owner left?). Twenty minutes later after being subjected to the heart wrenching squealing of this animal, I called the front desk again requesting that she call the owner to get him back - apparently she hadn't thought of that but did add that she could hear the dog at the front desk (we were on the 2nd floor). All in all, this went on for just short of an hour, the desk attendant acted like she couldn't do anything - how about call the police for an abandoned animal? Anyway, the room was OK. The one bed had an obvious sag in it. The wifi was intermittent. I had really wanted to take a relaxing bath, but that was quite impossible with the sound effects. Not really worth the money - and I had gotten a discount.

This hotel was VERY comfortable. The room was a nice size and clean. The pool and whirlpool were also one of the cleanest I have ever used. The help were ALL pleasant and acknowledged you. They also allowed smoking here which has been taken out of most Best Westerns-This was a PLUS for us!

Only about 10 minutes to everything in Harrisburg. Much more economic than the hotels closer to the city. The savings is well worth the extra 10 minute drive to downtown. The hotel is clean, friendly, and comfortable. There are many good restaurants close by and very convent to the interstate. Will stay here again.

We arrive late and the women at the desk was very nice and got our key and paper ready. The rooms were nice and clean and was a pleasure to stay in. We ate breakfast there each morning and the food was good and they had different items to eat each morning. I would recommend this Hotel to stay at if you are in the area and need a place to stay.

we stayed 3 nights here and the check in was great she even called us to make sure our room was ok,we should have looked around before saying Great. when we got to bed that night the sheets didn't feel just right but we had ridden on the bike a ways and were tired,dont think it had been vacuumed either,next day out from 8a.m to 7 p.m only to find all had been done was they took out old towels with no new ones, the bed unmade and upon a closer look our thoughts from the night before were right there was some stains and some hairs in the sheets ,our bag of dirty cloths thrown on the bed and spilled open, down to see the on duty manager she apologized and gave us new sheets and a arm full of towels but we had to remake our own bed ,next day I told the day shift people and they again apologized we then told them not to let the maid in our room as we had looked after it and didn't think they needed to be there ,they must have told the Manager and she wrote us a nice Apology letter with a travel BW Card for our troubles, we loved the location a bit noisy but your next to the hwy,the front of house people Great,its to bad about the maid service ,its not a glorious job and not a easy job but it can affect your stay a lot ..

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was nice and clean good breakfast very nice friendly staff. The only issue we had was a LARGE dog barking down the hall at 6:30 am. I love dogs but it was LOUD. The only other thing I would say is that this hotel came up when I was searching for Carlisle Pa for the car show and I got a great deal but I thought it would be a lot closer than it actually was its at least 20-25 minutes from the Carlisle fairgrounds. All in all good stayed 3 nights

I stay at this hotel every year for the Corvettes at Carlisle event in August, I have told other travelers how great the hotel is and was actually thanked for the recommendation by two people who switched. It is a very well maintained facility with a terrific, competent staff, led by Sonia Uditis, an extremely detail driven manager. Already have made my reservation for 2017. Great value for the reasonable pricing. So many places with just so-so service, when a place really stands out, I think it's important to reward them by spreading the word. These guys nail it.

We loved this hotel! The breakfast lady was so kind and helpful. There was plenty of food. The room was clean and attractive and the pool/hot tub was very relaxing. The coffee/tea in the lobby was also a nice touch. I highly recommend this hotel.

Only problem was the 3 days we were here, the maid never came and took care of our trash or anything. They were very friendly, and very efficient. When we asked for towels, toilet paper, we got it immediately. The room was very clean, no bed bugs, no bugs in general. Bathroom was also clean. Good water pressure in the shower, good temperature. It's also relatively close to Hershey park. I recommend a stay here.

The hotel is ok, but staff needs to pay more attention to all the details. I found an old pizza box in my room as well as a dirty ice bucket when I checked in. I had to constantly wonder what else wasn't clean while I stayed there. I also had to get my room key reprogrammed every night so I could access my room. The staff did their job, but they didn't do anything to make me feel like a valued guest or to want to give them another chance and stay here again.

Every staff member we encountered was personable and friendly from the moment we checked in, to the breakfast room attendant. Our room was clean and had plenty of room. Good bathroom and the room even had DIRECTV so we knew all the channels...which made watching the Olympics in the evenings super easy! It was a nice surprise that there is a hot tub right next to the pool. Both which my family used after a long day at Hershey Park. And speaking of distance to Hershey, it's only 13 miles and a super easy trip to the park from the hotel, without having to pay the ridiculous hotel prices closer to the park. We even went one morning, came back to the hotel and then went back to the park later that evening. That's how easy it is to get to and from. The breakfast was a different variety each day and plentiful, hot and so yummy. I love the fact they have fresh, hot coffee any time of the day in the lobby too. We had a fridge in our room a well, which helped keep all our waters and snacks cool. The breakfast attendant (who was amazing) also offered us any bottled water we needed, which was so kind to do during the horrible heat wave happening during our stay. Overall, this was a fantastic hotel, at a great price point, with terrific amenities, and attentive staff.

We were in town for Mixtape festival and stayed two nights. While hotels in Hershey were 150-300 a night (event rates), we got this place for under $100. The staff was friendly and the customer service was really good. The hotel seemed to be trying, but our room smelled musty. There was water damage on the ceiling. when they replaced the bathroom counter, they notched out the trim and left it that way instead of repairing it. Our room was awkward as if it were once an apartment, it was just missing a stove. I only way I can put it is that they are "trying their best" but there's more work to be done.

This hotel was very comfortable, rooms were nicely decorated and beds were comfy. The hotel staff was extremely helpful as we checked in a large group. Breakfast was decent and amenities were just right. Easy access to ice and vending, great location just off the highway.

This hotel has a convenient location close to the highway, with easy access to Harrisburg, Hershey and Gettysburg. There are a couple of restaurants near by, one of them a diner that is open 24 hours. We ate dinner there when we arrived in New Cumberland late at night, and it was delicious, classic Americana. The hotel staff that we dealt with were all very friendly, and quite helpful. At breakfast there was a great selection - fruit, yogurt, cereal, bagels, bread, scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage, and batter to make your own fresh waffles or pancakes. Lots of juice and coffee as well. The wifi connection worked perfectly, and there's also a computer to be used in the front lobby. Our room was clean, although the common areas (stairs) could have been vacuumed. We stayed 4 nights, and it didn't look like the carpet was vacuumed at all while we were there. We left fairly early every morning. One afternoon we came back to our room around 2:30pm to drop some stuff off, and found that it had not yet been tended to, which we found a bit surprising. When we came back around dinner time, everything had been tidied up, though. The only real complaint I would have about this hotel is that the beds we had were very hard. I prefer a softer bed. I found it very hard to get comfortable enough to fall asleep, and to stay asleep, because it felt like I was laying on a piece of plywood. If you like a firm bed, you'll be happy here!

The Hotel was quite satisfactory and we received very good service from the staff. The rooms were average, but clean and with nice amenities. The location was perfect for our trip . We found the Breakfast very well served. It's a hotel worth a try for any family.

The manager went above and beyond to help my guest during an extremely difficult time to feel comfortable and ensured she had everything she needed. The room was also very clean with a good selection for breakfast. She was given a cookie upon checking in and a call to ensure everything was to her liking. The manager was able to meet all of her needs and was willing to do anything to make her comfortable. I recommend this hotel if traveling to the area.

Best Westerns I have found to be hit or miss, but this location is excellent. Many updates are completed or in the process of completion. An excellent place to stay for Hershey Park, as the hotel is only about 20 minutes away.

This was an average hotel, rooms and decor were dated but satisfactory. Lamps were very dusty so what else wasn't tended to? Hair in the bathroom sink..ugh! Still, beds were fairly comfortable and we rested well for the 3 nights we stayed here. Fine for passing through but I wouldn't stay here again for a multiple night stay. Staff was friendle and helpful, no complaints there.

We were there for Chryslers at Carlisle. Great place to stay for our group. Convenient to fuel and services. Close to downtown Harrisburg where there are some really nice restaurants. Hotel very clean and comfortable.

This hotel is run down and needs some love and care. Do not bother to stay here. The breakfast is not good, the carpet has some type of smoke smell, the rooms need a paint job. The pool area is not secure. The hotel is near the highway.

You sure get a lot for your money at this hotel. Clean, comfortable, friendly staff, and a great breakfast that changes every day. Location was perfect because it was half way between the 2 cities we planned on visiting, Hershey and Carlisle.

We stayed on the same weekend as the 25th Mopar celebration and the house was packed. There was not a room to be had. We were treated to a wonderful weekend and the staff was outstanding. Both friendly and efficient, my family could not say enough from Jill the clerk who made sure that my daughter, son-in-law and grandson were able to check in before I arrived and did it without a hitch, Amber who opened the pool a little early so we could get a swim before our busy day started and who saw us off with a couple of bottles of cold water to Krista who seemed to be a jack-of-all trades and so friendly and like Jill and Amber was willing to go out of their way to make our stay special. We were impressed as they could have been very stressed with the place so packed. Breakfast each day was handled with grace and efficiency. We had a problem with our TV and it was taken care of promptly. The beds and the rooms generally were clean and comfortable. The rooms are very spacious and included a pull out couch which came in so handy for us considering that we had six adults in our party. This was a good choice for our stay. I would recommend this hotel without hesitation and would stay here again when I was in the area.

The people were nice and room was beautiful. Good parking. Easy to get back to interstate. Breakfast was a beast. Great place to relax. Gas nearby as well as nice restaurants. Needs a microwave and tv was fuzzy.

Hotel was unable to fulfill my reservation due to 'a burst pipe in my room'? Wanted me to downsize to queen room - I'm too tall for queen beds! Front desk clerk Jillian was having all sorts of equipment issues - printer wouldn't print my cancellation and room key programmer not working for other customers at desk. Felt bad for her, but....

We had a nice time in this hotel. The room was clean, breakfast was good, the pool was well-kept, and the staff was friendly. We will stay here again if we come back to Hershey, as it was a short drive.

We stayed at the Best Western plus for several nights while visiting the Hershey area. The rate was reasonable. The room was fair. There was an odor to the room and it needed maintenance (e.g. Carpet rips, toilet leak, scratches on tub, generally dirty).

The staff was extremely friendly. The hotel was very clean. They provide an above average hot breakfast and really make you feel welcome. If you want a clean, friendly place to stay near Hershey Park, I would recommend this hotel.

I went into my stay with high expectation because of the TripAdvisor rating and reviews. While upon arrival, I was displeased with an aspect of my room, management did not hesitate to make it right. Our stay was a pleasant one afterwards and we enjoyed the breakfast buffet. I would stay here again.

We stayed here on our from Hershey to Roanoke. The hotel was clean, staff friendly and the breakfast was great . We have always been pleased with Best Western and this was not a disappointment. We will definitely recommend this hotel to our friends and family.

Overall a nice hotel. Clean, Breakfast was good and plentiful, rooms are large, just a few concerns: 1. The bed was harder than my husband and I prefer but I guess that's a personal preference 2. The thermostat was odd.. in our King suite the air came out from the window unit but used the wall unit in the adjacent "living room" to measure the temp thus it was always freezing (like 64 degrees) in the bedroom where the air was coming out but the thermostat would say it was 76. 3. Now I like a hot shower but the temp coming out of the sink and shower were absurdly hot.. Like dangerously hot.. It took forever for it to come down to a normal temperature. Besides these few minor issues the location rocks and the place was clean and cost effective.

Good staff at the front desk. She was very nice. Hotel is clean and cozy. Bed is comfy and check out should be easy they email your receipt to you after check out. Location is convenient right off the interstate. Wish there was later pool time available cause once I took my nap after riding all the I only had 20 minutes left to be able to go down to the pool.

Nice place to stay. Hotel was clean and staff was very friendly. breakfast was good. Would stay here again if in Pennsylvania again. Hotel was in a good location for our family because we went to Gettysburg one day , to Lancaster one day, and to Hershey. The hotel is also pet friendly which was nice because we took our pet. All in all it was a very nice stay.

Friendly staff welcomed us and helped us make our visit convenient and comfortable. We requested directions to a nearby location and the front desk clerk cheerfully assisted us. The breakfast room staff teased us and the other guests to make us feel welcome. Great staff.

Hotel was booked full for Memorial day Softball tournament. The hallway and the rooms all had a terrible smell like stale smoke/dog crap. Was handed a spray can and told that was the best we could do. It sure may for a long weekend.

Basic 3 star hotel. A little worn but clean. Average breakfast included. I would recommend just for short one night stay. Close to Turnpike. Restaurants nearby. Nothing bad but nothing great to say about this hotel.

Saturday's crew were extremely, helpful, courteous, friendly, went out of their way to help us. I am very thankful that they were working, as I am used to having a positive experience, as in the other BW I stayed at in Tooele, Utah. We always enjoy using the pool, with hot tub, gym, breakfast and when available the free gym passes in Utah.

Thin blankets, confusing heat controls and a guest who was making loud noises all night contributed to a horrible, sleepless night and an exhausted next day. No one took the time to fully investigate this person after I complained about the noises he was making, whom I discovered the next day had locked himself out of his room repeatedly. Rude and inconsiderate guests should be moved to a wing where they cannot disturb anyone. Not my usual Best Western experience and unfortunate as this was my "bonus" stay. Suffice it to say, it was no reward.

Good place to stay, staff were friendly and efficient. Complimentary breakfast was good and a definite plus. Rooms were reasonably priced. Pool, hot tub and fitness room well cared for and in good working order.

Where do I begin?! I was looking to relax, I have a broken foot! We arrived Friday morning for a three night stay. Friday around 11:00 a.m. I decided to put some food in our refrigerator for my daughter. The first thing I noticed was that the refrigerator cabinet would not close right because the wood was warped. A quick look at the pictures will show you what I found when I opened the cabinet. Sludge 2 inches thick, mold, mildew, stagnant water everywhere on the inside of the cabinet next to the refrigerator. I took pictures and went down to show the front desk. The woman at the front desk, Sonia, who by the way never told me she was the manager, said that she would have the maintenance man come switch refrigerators and clean it. The maintenance man comes, pulls it out, water goes all over the rug. He takes a dry towel, no cleaner, and wipes the big pile of sludge on the inside of the cabinet, opens the refrigerator, says the problem is not with the refrigerator, but with the hosekeepers that are supposed to drain the freezer tray nightly and apparently didn't. He said he was not switching refrigerators and proceeded to carry the freezer tray, filled with stagnant water across the room, spilling it all over the carpet and then said everything would be fine now. I said to him are you kidding me? There is sludge, mold, mildew, slim, stagnant water saturating not only the cabinet and refrigerator but now all over the entire carpet at my feet and the feet of my 1 yr old granddaughter who was with me. I said you didn't even use cleaner to clean it like bleach or something to kill the mold and bacteria! He said well I can go get some if you want me to. I told him I was not staying in that room. I went down and told the front desk person, who again, I did not know was the manager. I asked for a different room and she said she already checked me out because the maintenance man said we were leaving! ....It goes on and on. 3 rooms within 24 hours!!! Pubic hairs on the desk by the beds, key card locks that don't work so we have to switch rooms to be able to get in and out of our room, the heater/air conditioner broke in the 3rd room we were in. The faucet base in the bathroom of the 3rd room lifted up when you tried to wash your hands. The entire 3rd floor being filled with Marijuana smoke on Saturday night, front desk staff saying this is the way it always is and they are tired of it too. Oh, and let us not forget the elevator bar hangind down in the elevator. The first floor stinks of mildewed carpet from the pool. The list goes on and on. I felt like I was on a hidden camera show it was so bad!! The manager, Sonia, was no help. I told her I should be compensated for this 3 night disaster and she said she would throw in some extra reward points. To add insult to injury, driving home I looked at my emailed copy of my receipt and they overcharged me $40.00+ !!! I am contacting corporate and an attorney to get my money refunded, but others need to know this isn't an isolated incident. We were in 3 different rooms in 24 hours! All the refrigerators leak, it is a serious health concern!

The breakfast was great, The room was clean though the bathroom needed some work. The beds were comfortable, The one thing there was only one chair in the room for three people. This is the first for me to find this shortage of a place to sit another person other than on the beds.

Although there were some small obvious areas that needed repair (bathroom tub wall, pool area A/C unit) the majority of the hotel was neat and clean. The breakfast was a nice variety for our short stay. The quality of the maid service was obvious that we had different people each day as some did an excellent job and others just tidied up. Any questions I had were answered graciously. I would stay there again.

Great location off the interstate. Great places to eat close by...John's down the street is the best, open 24/7 food is great, many choices and good prices. Also a discount for staying at Best Western. Staff is very friendly and helpful with anything you may need. They are still working on the smoking issue. It was the first time I have ever checked into a room and could not detect cigarette smoke smell. Hopefully they will ban smoking entirely within the building facility.

I have stayed at a few of the hotels in New Cumberland Pa. This hotel had the best breakfast set up. Snack machine prices were very reasonable as well. Rooms were comfortable enough. We had a hot tub room, the tub was good for 2 with bad backs. Carpet near the tub was a bit frayed.

I was set up here on a business trip. Big suite room. Walked in to a non smoking room that stunk, and I mean stunk of cigarettes. My room was pointing at the highway. All I heard was highway traffic and the airline jets flying over ever 5 minutes. Swear the walls are made of cardboard. Every time plane flew over the pictures and head board rattled on walls. Had to stuff wash clothes and hand towels behind these things to stop the rattling. By 3am people where up and leaving and slamming the doors in the hallways. So loud. And don't get me started on the automatic entry light that comes one when you want to go to the bathroom. Nothing beats getting blasted in the middle of the night with this motion light....ugh. Next time I'll drive 45 extra minutes to somewhere that doesn't stink like cigarettes and I can get sleep!

My husband and I stayed here for 1 night and we were not happy with it. We always stay at Best Westerns and 99% of the time they are great. As soon as we stepped off the elevator...our room was on the 3rd floor....we were assaulted with a nauseating smell...like they were trying to cover up something. The room was dusty and the curtains didn't close completely. There was no TV directory to know what channel was what and when we asked for 1, we were told "I guess we are out of them". We had to ask for an ashtray...we had a smoking room...took about 15 minutes to get one. The clerk that checked us in had the personality of a dial tone...she sounded like a robot. We were going to stay here 1 night next week on our way home but we cancelled the room...would not stay here again!

I have been travelling a bit lately and have stayed at other Best Western Plus Hotels and for the most part they were very similar in accommodations and furnishings. This hotel was very busy when I checked in but the staff was courteous. My room on the other hand needed some help. It was an ADA accessible room that I could not get the lights to work when going inside. The light switch in the bathroom was inconvenient in that it was placed too far inside the doorway for a person to reach easily. The light covering was missing and there was a few strands of hair in the bathtub. It had a full sized refrigerator next to the bed and a full sized oven in the corner. The rug was an older style shag rug and the bed turned out to be an older spring mattress. The four air fresheners I noticed the next morning should have been a sign about the smell in the room. I was visiting for work and had planned on staying at this hotel for the rest of the week, but after that first night all I wanted to do was leave. This hotel had recently changed hands and supposedly had bee updated. Guess they forgot about a room or two. Moved to a Best Western Plus on the other side of the City. What a positive change!!!

I always enjoy my stay here. All the employees are extremely nice and polite.I stay here weeks on end best place in this entire area to stay for the price. The new management has helped a great deal. The breakfast was also good as well.

Good Breakfast in the morning nice when you work out of the Hotel. Clean rooms clean towels. Best Western is a great Hotel will stay again. The staff are the best very nice and friendly and very help full when you need something or places to go .I will stay again thanks for the great stay.

Pulled into the hotel and was immediately dissapointed in the exterior. When we walked in the hotel it was better. We walked in our room and there was hair in the bathtub - GROSS. Our beds were rock hard - but whatever... we just dealt. The big problem was the party next door to us. THEY WERE SO LOUD! I had to complain 3 times from 8P-11P and then 1 time at 6AM. Nothing was ever done - they say they told them to be quiet, but it didn't work. No one really cared about how disappointed I was. I wish I would have just spent more money and stayed at a nicer hotel.

My needs are usually pretty simple -- a warm dry bed and a hot shower usually covers it. I got a Jacuzzi and a fireplace as well. The one issue was that there was a slight mold smell. I don't think the smell came from the room, but came in through the plumbing. Could use some upgrade in carpeting, and is a little noisier than I thought it should be. Location, for my purposes was ideal.

We drove 4 hours from NJ. We were exhausted, and just needed to rest. They were able to get us into our room at Noon. Much Appreciated. We got into the hotel room, started settling in, and noticed a few issues with the room itself. We didn't really care about that when we got there because we were so tired. When we woke up, we had time to actually look around the room. Here are some pro's and cons... Pros: Comfy Beds Early Check In Refrigerator Wall Thermostat Clean Bathroom Large HDTV With DirecTV Free and Fast WiFi Cons: Room Lighting Was Horrible Walls were dirty Corner wall where it met the outside facing wall, was separated (see picture) No Microwave in the room as it was described. Soda Machine was out of order Breakfast ended before 9:30AM contrary to what the book said (10:00AM) Heard people from other rooms, above and next door, so no noise protection.. No towels at the pool area Room we stayed in was supposed to be a full suite, but it was not.

We had a good stay and very courteous staff room were clean everything worked and breakfast was good. The location is easy to get to and leave with access to a variety of attractions close by to entertain the children.

We've been using this hotel for our company employees to stay while working at an out of town job. Their company vehicle full of tools was parked directly in front of the entrance in a lit parking lot and was stolen. How is this possible? Also we were told they had no security cameras on the front of the building. It took someone time to get the doors unlocked and to punch out the ignition. Where was the night security guard? Don't feel safe here and will never return.

We had a very pleasant stay. Staff is very pleasant,friendly and helpfull. They make you feel welcomed and greet you with a nice smile .The breakfasts were very good with a great selection . Sherrie the lady in charge of the breakfast had homefries canadian bacon and eggs on Easter morning. She also had an Easter egg hunt coloring material for the small kids and chocolate for the big kids The rooms are very large and nicely decorated. There was 3 of us in the room and we didn't feel cramped at all . The lobby and the breakfast area are inviting. We were visitimgs our friends for Easter and the location was perfect for us.

I checked in with a pre made reservation that they couldn't find, but after that was taken care of all was simple and acceptable. The breakfast was complimentary and average. Had trouble keeping it stocked without many attendees. The sleep was peaceful and service was ok. I prefer others on that frequented exit but this does ok in a pinch. I would go again if my favorite was full.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff was so friendly and helpful. We made arrangements for a late check in and decided to travel with our dog at the last minute. The front desk was so accommodating. Our favorites were the breakfast attendants. When traveling to Harrisburg we will stay here again.

I stayed at this hotel while attending the Horse World Expo at the PA Farm Show Complex. I originally booked it through the Expo to receive the special Expo rate. I got a call from the Expo on Monday (we were due to check in on Friday) that the hotel was not longer honoring their contract or prices with the Expo and all reservations had been cancelled. I typically think of Best Westerns as "safe" choices in hotels so I immediately went on their website and rebooked a room at this hotel for the same night at a high rate. At $115 a night I was VERY disappointed in the room and breakfast. The bathroom was pretty gross for that price point. The shower curtain had pink gunk on the bottom, the caulking in the tub was really messy and had mold on it, the toilet had urine on the base when we got there, the floor didn't look like the corners had been cleaned in ages. Breakfast was your standard self serve. The eggs were sitting in a puddle of liquid (obviously not real eggs), the bacon was nasty looking (didn't chance it), the staff wasn't very helpful when the woman next to me spilled her coffee. I really expected more from the room and the breakfast at $115 a night.

We stayed over the weekend and enjoyed some skiing at Ski Round Top! The staff here is awesome and really seem to enjoy their jobs. Kudos to the new manager who the staff were raving about. They were having a baby shower for a staff member when we returned for a break from skiing, they offered us food and cake to help celebrate.

We booked a king suite for Valentine's Day at the Best Western Plus (close to the mountain where we were skiing). When we arrived, they put us in a regular double queen with no Jacuzzi or anything. Worst of all, their front desk didn't even mention this was happening. When I called back, he said there was a mistake in the system, it couldn't be switched, and we'll need to book at the higher rate if we still want the room. It was frustrating to be bait-and-switched. We had fun that weekend, but there are so many better options at the same price outside of Harrisburg. This one, not great. Here's where we wish we stayed: Clarion down the street. They have an awesome restaurant attached called Garlic Poet (look it up). Great atmosphere. Farm to table. They make almost everything on site including the butter! Infused alcohol and a long micro-brew list. $50 for 3-course meal for 2.

The beds in the room were extremely uncomfortable. No one in the room got a decent night's sleep to include my 7 year old who has been known to fall asleep on the bathroom floor. I could feel the wooden slats in the bed and one side of the bed was a little hard and the other side felt like I was laying on a pallet.

We have stayed here on many occasions. for the car show in Carlisle its only about a 20 minute drive away. The pool is great. tho be careful of the bathroom in pool area. The door sticks my 13 year daughter got stuck in there. it was a lot of pushing to get it open 10 long minutes later. Breakfast is great. I recommend the waffles. I love my coffee and there was always coffee in lobby. The staff was wonderful. rooms are always clean. We did not get a lot of noise either from the rooms above of or on the sides. which I thought was nice. the shower water pressure could be better.

Looks nice on the outside and lobby but room was dirty and in need of repair. Broken furniture, moldy water leaks half covered up with white paint, bloody sheets, stained towels, stains and chunky stuff on different walls, foot prints on jacuzzi tub, dirt rings on jacuzzi tub, show dripped all night and drain backed up, calking cracked moldy and missing in a lot of areas. We also received a down graded room from what we paid for (no fireplace or microwave) Breakfast ends early. (9:30) no parking near door. Couldn't walk on sidewalk because snow at the end of it from almost a month ago!!

The staff at the New Cumberland Best Western did a fantastic job helping my family and the other customers who were snowed in due to an epic snowstorm. The hot breakfast was good, although real eggs and some danishes would have made it excellent. My kids were glad to have an indoor pool to use. The fitness center needs some attention - maintenance and a better elliptical.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable and the staff was very nice. I had to make a change to my reservation due to a change in plans and they went out of their way to accommodate me even though the room I was requesting to change to was initially unavailable. I would definitely stay here again. Only drawback, there were no towels in the fitness room or at the pool. Not all of the equipment in the fitness room worked properly so it was hard to get a decent workout. If these two amenities are not top on your list, you will be happy at this hotel

This Best Western is right off the Pa. Turnpike and I-83. Staff was friendly. Our room had a living area with a pull-out sofa and a bedroom area. The pool area was super clean wth plenty of towels available. The hot tub was a nice bonus. The workout room had adequate equipment. Breakfast was hot, waffles, egg sandwiches, bagels and cereal. Hotel was quiet. Definitely will return.

We've stayed here many times and have to say this was probably our worst visit, the mattress was shot, there was hair on the sheets and pillows when we arrived and the energy saving light bulbs gave the whole suite a dim grungy appearance which was only made worse in the bathroom where the over sink vanity light no longer works thanks to the automatic motion detectors light switch taking up the spot where a switch use to be. Maybe the bulb is dead who knows, either is neglectful of management and housekeeping. Forget being able to get ready for a date or business meeting there simply isn't enough to good lighting to do so. Desk chair jarred my spine when I sat in it because the air cushion was broken. Not fun since I have a bad back. Breakfast was good, eggs sausage bagels fruit.

This hotel needs to be renovated that I recommend. The staff are great, especially MS Janet. she considerably generous. Thanks to the Best Western Plus staff there. Honestly, the facility is like insanitary. My room smells a bit, the bed sheets were old, rug were wear-out, bath room was clean, swimming pool area looks terrible, gym tighten with old equipments. I likes to describes the hotel and give it a illustrious points, but that will be fictitious, sorry to say. It has a great view and is accessible to dining places, very trendy. I think this hotel is poorly managed, but have great staff members, and has all the amenities promised. Please, I am not a Plebeian, I been opulence places. This hotel need to be revivify period. Please no need for antipathy!

This is a great hotel for business or a long weekend. The rates are very affordable, parking is plentiful, the staff is kind and helpful and the breakfast is good. Only about 10 minutes to downtown Harrisburg and several good restaurants are nearby.

The hotel was very nice for a reasonable price. The breakfast and hot tub were amazing after a long day of shopping in Harrisburg with my daughter and my friends! The hotel is walking distance to the gas station and some restaurants.

Where to begin? We had so many issues with our stay at this hotel last weekend, but the real issue is how the problems were handled - they weren't! A group of us (6 adults, 5 children) booked three rooms at this hotel for a trip to Hershey Park over Thanksgiving weekend. The problems began at check in: 1. Upon check in, we realized that two of the families were only charged approximately $60 a night and the third was charged $125 - more than twice as much. When we inquired about this, we were told that a room with two double beds was that much more than a room with one King. And sorry, there's nothing we can do. Makes no sense. 2. Upon entering the expensive room, we were hit with an unbearable stench. After calls to the front desk they finally sent a maintenance man to investigate. He found something (I don't want to know what) in the bathtub drain causing the horrific smell. Gross. 3. We spent the next day at Hershey Park and came back to find an enormous bug (a roach?) on the wall. Calls and visits to the front desk did nothing. That bug is still there for all we know, 4. One of the reasons we chose this hotel was for the included breakfast. On our last morning our two seven year old children were literally in line holding their plates preparing to make their food when an employee pushed in front of them and removed the food that they were about to take?!? We watched in stunned silence as broke down the breakfast spread as the kids stood there with their plates. Other guests witnessed this and joined us at the front desk to complain. The front desk clerk's response? "Oh, that's a shame." We repeatedly asked to speak to a manager while we were there. All of these issues could have been easily dealt with, but of course we were told that there would be no manager available til Tuesday morning, and that she would contact us right away. Unsurprisingly, it is now Wednesday evening and our calls have gone unanswered. To summarize - do NOT stay here. We are a super easygoing bunch, but this was simply unacceptable. My next email is to Best Western corporate offices.

Good hotel and central to many activities, easy on off. Restaurants nearby. Includes full breakfast... Staff is very friendly. Price was very reasonable. We had the 2 queen suite, could have used a microwave in room although you could use the one in the breakfast room. Would have liked a table and chairs in the room.

This hotel is very well situated close to the highway and in proximity of restaurants by car. The rooms are spacious and well organized. Best Western Plus is synonym of excellence and offer great places to stay whether travelling for business or pleasure. By far the best hotel chain in this category. However, this facility showed signs of falling short of the Best Western reputation as the bathtub and shower still had hair from the previous occupants.

The entrance to the hotel smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. The hallways were filled with cigarette smoke and pipe smoke. Although we received a non-smoking room, it was located on a smoking floor. It would be unbearable for non-smokers This hotel would be a chain-smokers treasure.

I stayed here on a business trip, gym was horrible I could not use the equipment safely, beds were uncomfortable I slept on all the pillows to make it comfortable for me, highway was loud had to sleep with my TV on, the cleanliness could have been better, The Jacuzzi tub had hairs and dust on it from previous tenants, wifi was horrible I couldn't Skype with anybody for a whole week til I switched rooms. No microwaves in the room. I would not recommend this hotel to anybody only reason I stayed here was because all the other hotels close by were completely booked.

Stayed here for a few days while in the Harrisburg area on business. Room was nice and good for the price compared to neighboring hotels. Breakfast in the morning, big plus. Room near the elevator was a little noisy, but overall a pleasant experience and would stay here in the future.

I cannot stress how much I appreciate Sherry in the breakfast room. She was pleasant and very customer-focused. I also appreciate the welcoming personality of Janet (hotel manager). The hotel is adjacent to two very busy interstate highways. Request a north-facing room if you need quiet. We experienced inconsistent housekeeping, but I am hopeful those problems will resolve themselves.

We needed a place to stay as our son was competing in the PIAA Golf Championships in York. This place was worth the drive to York. Great bang for your buck, only disappointing thing about the place was the workout equipment. That stuff was new in the late 90's LOL. The staff were pleasant to talk with and the breakfast was good.

We have been staying at BW in New Cumberland twice a year since the hotel opened. Rooms were good and the price was good. However, we had a major problem EVERY time. Reservation lost, Can't figure out rewards program, locked out of room, transferred to another hotel, and even found the hotel closed one time. This time was no exception. We called TWICE before coming to make sure we had a no smoking room. When we arrived we were told the only room was a smoking room which would not work with my wife's asthma. The hotel would only refund one night of our two night stay even though we were forced to stay elsewhere. Next time we WILL stay elsewhere.

If you don't get lost on these crazy PA roadways, easy to locate after a visit to Hershey Park. After a room assignment mix-up, and then a room change(!) due to a plumbing* problem, received a very nice room towards the rear; clean, well-maintained, reasonably quiet. Front desk staff was very courteous and professional, pm & am!! Minimal breakfast, wished coffee was not so watered-down. Walls of rooms are rather thin so conversations can be overheard; freeway is audible. *Suggestion for management: find a competent plumber; excessive application of caulk is NOT a "repair". (I thought we were commendable customers regarding this inconvenience at a very late hour, as was the desk clerk who immediately reassigned us; thx "M")

No words can describe the cleanness condition of the room that was assigned to us. Carpet stains , bedsheets not clean , hairs in sink and tub . We asked another room but that one smelled cigarette smoke and mildew was all around the windowsill. We moved out and changed hotel . Awfull.

Were redeming points for this stay. Got a call for a free upgrade offer. The room had a fireplace and Jacuzzi. What a nice surprise! The beds however, were uncomfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. This hotel also has a pool and hot tub. Liked making/using the waffle machine to make waffles or pancakes for breakfast. The open stairway in the lobby was pretty.

I wanted something close to Hershey Park with an indoor pool for the grandkids, hot tub for me, and also had free breakfast. I picked the perfect place ! I don't understand some of the bad reviews I read before I chose it for the amenities alone. The beds and pillows were comfy, and smelled like fresh linen.The hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was above & beyond for free. Buffet scrambled eggs, sausage, fresh toast, bagels, hardboiled eggs, cereal, and etc.... They had a waffle & pancake maker, juice, hot chocolate & coffee. You couldn't ask for better. My girls said they wanted to make this a tradition before we ever left the hotel ! The only downside was the pool was chilly.Score !!!

Staff was friendly and accommodating. Hotel GM booked my reservation, called "Hershey Suite Package," which included 2 adult admission tickets to Hershey Park, 2 beach towels, and a bag of delicious Hershey Kisses. Great package value deal with a preview night to Hershey Park included. Arrived at hotel and GM checked us in. She was very friendly, and provided excellent customer service. She answered all our questions, printed out directions, advised of local places to dine, and gave us early check-in and late check-out. We couldn't have been more pleased with the 5 star customer service. This is a budget friendly hotel and is dated. It is a older hotel that was ran by small business owners and then purchased by Best Western chain. So as long as you understand you are not staying at a new hotel you will be fine. Our room was located on first floor with easy access to our car and front desk. Room was clean, but carpet, tile in bathroom could use some renovating. Beds were comfortable, and room was large. Mini fridge was included, but no microwave. Entire hotel is non-smoking. Unfortunately, our room smelled of faint smoke. I told front desk clerk, she offered to move us, but we declined because we were already unpacked and settled in. The odor was tolerable and I think it only smelled because people would smoke outside near our room. Or, it was stuck in walls from previous hotel owners. Breakfast was mediocre, but like I said this is a budget hotel. You have to arrive early to get a seat and various food items. Otherwise your food choices will be limited. They did not restock items quickly. Food variety is decent, since it's included with room. You get basics of hot/cold breakfast items. Menu rotates some days sausage links, some days sausage patties with scrambled eggs and waffles, yogurt, biscuit gravy, cereal etc. Pool and hot tub were great. Both were clean and hot tub was actually hot (not lukewarm). Really enjoyed both of them. It was a nice indulgence after a long day of walking at Hershey Park. Location of hotel is excellent with easy on/off access to interstate highway. It's about a 30 minute drive to Hershey Park, but very convenient for cost and ease of access to highway. I would stay here again due to friendliness of GM and staff. It is always great when you find customer service and people who still have social skills. You will not be treated like a number here. You're treated like an individual and they are very accommodating, knowledgeable of area, and answer any questions you have. Overall we enjoyed our stay and will visit again if we are in area.

Large room, friendly staff, easily accessible to I-81, I-83, and Farm Complex in Harrisburg, quiet (even with soccer team in town), clean despite worn carpet in room, adequate breakfast selection, easy parking for truck, no problems

Our stay was very enjoyable. Room was clean, staff went out of their way to be pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was okay for hotel breakfasts, would like to see bacon on the menu. Stayed four nights and had no problems.

This hotel has everything you need and then some. A comfortable, clean with great service and a good location to visit Camp Hill, PA and the surrounding area. Also, you can find some great places to eat and the sleep quality is Awesome (very little noise).

This was my second time staying at this location. The general manager, Janet, has an excellent staff. The breakfast is top notch. I enjoy the well-lit parking lot which helps me feel safe. The pool area is nice and well maintained. Rooms could use some updated decor, but for the cost, the value is exceptional.

The Staff is excellent, customer first. They have a hot breakfast bar and I enjoy sausage gravy, just my breakfast thing. These folks actually made it just for me every morning, even though the breakfast menu rotated. I've stayed there 5 separate weeks, even though I had a choice of all other local hotels, so rating is based on long term experience, not one night stays! Rate also lower than other competing hotels. Highly recommended!

I booked this last minute and was very pleased with the hotel and service. Tomi checked us in and updated us on the pool, fitness center and breakfast hours. The suite had lots of counter space and a refrigerator. It was very clean and comfortable. There is a small pool and hot tub. The breakfast attendant was very welcoming. They had two waffle makers, eggs and sausages and a variety of cereal. The hotel is very close to the turnpike but we didn't hear any traffic noise.

We stayed here on the way up and on the way back on a recent trip. Easy on and off the interstate. Located near good restaurants including Jacks Diner. Good clean rooms and firm beds on both stays. Very helpful staff. A/C controlled by wall unit. You can run the fan all the tome creating white noise. No microwave in room but one in the common breakfast area. Good size fridge. Bathroom has a fan, a real plus and not common. Not alot of outlets in the room but lamps on nightstand had an outlet you could plug things into. Disappointed vending machines did not take CCs. Very good value for the money.
