We spent about two weeks in August, 2024 at this neat, beautiful and affordable apartment hotel in an upscale area of Nairobi while on our family summer vacation. Our whole experience there was simply amazing: nice, courteous & professional staff, clean spaces, excellent meals, etc. The front desk lady, Eve who incidentally handled our check-in & check-out processes was very friendly, polite and handled the everything excellently. In the restaurant, the lady, Abi was super nice & friendly, ensuring we were always satisfied and my kids, wife & I all appreciated her services. On the whole, we had an amazing & memorable time at Executive Residency, Nairobi and look forward to going back there.
Clean room, comfortable bed, good internet speed, professional staff, nice pillows, nice calm and peaceful location, good security control at the gate and main hotel entry, a wide variety of food, fast service, my all time choice when in Nairobi. Good reward system as well.
They have a wonderful room with good amenities, good finishing and the meals are of very good quality and variety. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The area is very serene and quiet and located in an area that you can access malls and other amenities.
My stay at Executive Residency by Best Western, Nairobi, was exceptional. From the moment I was greeted by the ever smiling and welcoming receptionist to the impeccable service provided by the diligent housekeeping staff, every detail was perfect. The tantalizing meals at the Grove Restaurant were a highlight, and the hotel's serene atmosphere truly made it feel like a home away from home.
The Executive Residency Nairobi is a wonderful home from home. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment, each bedroom had an en-suite, there was a good sized lounge, kitchen and utility area. There was even a balcony with an egg chair for sitting in. Breakfast was provided at the roof top restaurant with a great selection of options for every palate. Staff were all extremely freindly and helpful throughout our stay. If you're looking for a comfortable place to stay in Nairobi, look no further than the Executive Residency by Best Western Nairobi.
We stayed there before and after our safari trips. It's located in a nice area of Nairobi but not too far from the city centre. The rooms are very nice and comfortable with all necessary facilities. The rooftop restaurant area is great for an al fresco breakfast in the sunshine and there is a varied menu for lunch and dinner. We have to thank all the staff for their help courtesy and professional manner, especially Colin and Ruth. Its a must stay for us on our next visit.
The entire staff is very helpful and friendly. They really made sure that our stay was enjoyable. We weren't aware that the room was not air conditioned, which could be a problem as it gets suffocating (or noisy if I left windows open). Staff did provide an extra fan.
Clean, plenty of room for work and rest.. Good breakfast (except same frying pan used for pork as everything else which as a Muslim it was not acceptable so I made them wash it before I ordered my omelette)
Excellent staff, Clean and good location Only 2 negatives for me potential use of same equipment for pork substances as for vegetarians or Muslims like myself Shower is slippery (could with non smooth tiles)
I absolutely love this place. In Africa ill can be hard to find a clean, safe, trusted place to stay that is also affordable. BW executive Residency is amazing. Large rooms, beautiful fully equipped kitchens, washing machine and dryer, VERY comfy beds and my favorite is the relaxing porch swing. I would live there if I could! The staff is always super kind and helpful. From the gate to the housekeeping we were always greeted with a smile.
My kids and I stayed in a two bedrooms apartment. It was very clean, spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was great and the food served everyday was okay. The staff were very helpful, daily supplies were brought on time everyday
It was amazinggggggggg, the hotel staff was friendly and helpful. the food was top-notch! I felt so welcome on my arrival date. Although I couldn't watch Netflix on the TV, the internet was good for my meetings. I would definitely be looking forward to many more stays at this place.
One of the best hotel/apartments I have stayed at. The rooms are clean and the staff are pretty helpful. The best part is the limitless assorted breakfast which will leave you quite satisfied and happy.
Stayed for almost three weeks, and would highly recommend. Staff were always very welcoming, the apartments are well equipped, clean and spacious, and breakfast always good. Will be back on my next visit!
No mosquitoes even without a net, very quiet environment and top of the line customer service. Will recommend to anyone visiting Nairobi. The front staff provided the best atmosphere as you walk into the building before seeing the inside.
I had a lovely experience staying here. Everything is spotless and the staff are well trained and efficient. It is a great location as it is central to many malls and restaurants. I can highly recommend the Executive Residency.
Wonderful place to stay. Like a 2nd home to us. Everything is always professional and client focused from bookings, check-in to all aspects of stay. The staff go over and beyond to attend to needs from a warm welcome at front desk, 24-7 responsiveness to meals, the gym and pool service. More than just a hotel stay.
So modern, clean, and beautiful. The staff is amazingly friendly, and the breakfast is just fantastic! The location is close to many malls and restaurants. The rooms are spacious and have all the amenities! The BEST!
Executive Residency by Best Western surpassed my expectations in service, location, and food. If American, Don't let your experience at a BW in the U. S. cloud your judgment. This was more like 5-star Service at a 4+ star Facility. I don't think you can find a better value for your money in Nairobi.
Executive Residency just as the name says it, It's absolutely amazing, very clean, fresh crisp beds, friendly staff, so quite as the evening draws in you can hear the birds and the silence of the night. An absolute bargain for such a large hotel apartment can fit 6/7 in a 2 bedroom. I had an awesome and luxurious stay and shall certainly be back soon. Miranda Ransley
Excellent hotel. The apartment was was very big and had everything that (even more than) i needed. The internet connectivity was stable and fast. The restaurant on the roof of the building provides a nice view over the city whilst you can enjoy very nice meals. All the employees are very helpful and friendly. I would definitely come back to this hotel when visiting Nairobi in the future.
We stayed at the Executive Residency for 4 nights. Our apartment was bright, spacious, clean and well appointed. We had a massive kitchen with coffee machine and all equipment. One of the bedrooms, which had the larger en-suite had been changed into an office. Our apartment faced Riverside drive so was quite well lit up at night. From the building map it looks like corner apartments are more spacious but ours was fine. Due to covid all food is in plated rather than buffet style, but waitstaff were more than happy to oblige every request. Thanks also the front desk and security team who were excellent.
The stay was enjoyable, facilities good, very clean, staff friendly, apartment spacious. I would recommend the hotel to anybody on a business trip. I really enjoyed the restaurant and pool on the rooftop.
It's such a peaceful and calm place. All the staff are very helpful. They are always looking out for their clients and how to make the stay as comfortable, convenient and enjoyable as possible. The food is really good.
Very happy with my choice to stay here! I could have stayed in Downtown Nairobi, but those hotels were way overpriced. We needed a room the day we flew into Nairobi before our safari, and they day we returned from safari before our flight out the following day. Executive Residency by Best Western was a perfect solution. Our family of four (parents plus two college-aged kids) had so much room to relax. Each teen had a bed, and we had a separate bedroom. Both of those adjoined a common living room/dining room, and there was a kitchen, laundry, and balcony. There were two and a half bathrooms, so there was never a wait. The balcony offered a beautiful view of the city. Wi-Fi was quick and reliable. Excellent service by the staff! One of the gate guards (George) helped us get a taxi to and from a local mall in order to get to an ATM. He arranged the ride and worked out a rock-bottom price ahead of time. The waitstaff at the restaurant is attentive and friendly, in particular the waiter Nephtali. Everyone who worked the front desk went out of their way to help. I needed COVID tests printed, and that was no problem for them. They also arranged our airport ride on the last day, which turned out to be a spacious and clean van. Nairobi traffic is horrible. We stayed at the hotel rather than go anywhere else to eat, which was great because they have a wonderful rooftop restaurant. If you wanted to see downtown Nairobi, you would have to get a taxi and spend some time in the car to and from this hotel, and it's about an hour from the airport. For us, this was a great place to stay while in Kenya.
It was disappointing starting from check-in to room cleanliness. Used pads in vanity pack was disgusting. They need to replace items after guests check out. TV has only 4 channels. Our room entrance had scratched surface which made it look I'm welcomed.
Great staff, very good room, good food. Very reasonable pricing for the room and food. Good breakfast. Very helpful and friendly people. Nothing is too much and requests or problems were solved in minutes. Big rooms with good beds. We had a great time staying with you. Thank you and see you soon.
Good accommodation but falsely advertised heated pool. I picked this place on the basis of a heated pool but that pool was nothing close to being heated. Anyone coming should first confirm whether it's heated
Long post alert. My friend & I have been using the swimming pool early mornings for the last four months. The experience has been terrible to say the least, with many days where the pool is green, cloudy & dirty. The changing rooms are also not clean - dirty towels in the laundry basket from the day before, toilet that smells etc. I've spoken to Jackie in management severally and every time she promises things will improve, which they do for a few days & then it's back to the square one. Last Friday 30th April, my friend & I arrived at the hotel for our morning swim, only to find it cloudy with chlorine because the pump had malfunctioned. We asked to speak to the Manager but the receptionist informed us the Manager was only available after 8am. What kind of hotel does not have a Manager on duty around the clock?? Later that day I received a text from the hotel stating, & I quote: ‘As per your request to speak with the manager. She has informed me she will be available today at 2pm or tomorrow morning at 8am or Monday at noon.' So clearly the Manager doesn't think it's his/her responsibility to get in touch with a dissatisfied customer. Tuesday morning, 4th May, we're back at the pool at 6am & it's green & dirty yet again. The gym manager is as surprised as we are at the state of the pool. Is there anyone in charge of guest experience at this hotel? I doubt it.
It's in a nice very secure location and relatively quiet from the hustle of the city center. The staff are wonderful, very helpful and professional. It comes with a fully stocked kitchen too. Wifi is not very good, could be better.
For 90% of my hotel stay in Nairobi, I settled for BW Executive Residency, a clear indicator of preference. Service, location and ambience is a combination that endeared to me despite having other options.
We stayed at the Executive Residency for 4 nights. Our apartment was bright, spacious, clean and well appointed. massive kitchen with coffee machine and all equipment. One of the bedrooms, which had the larger en-suite had been changed into an office. Our apartment faced Riverside drive so was quite well lit up at night. From the building map it looks like corner apartments are more spacious but ours was fine. Due to covid all food is in plated rather than buffet but waitstaff were more than happy to oblige every request. Thanks also the front desk and security team who were excellent.
Loved the welcome right from security, very courteous fellows, receptionist Faith and Bilha very knowledgeable and helpful, the housekeeping guy late at night, the waiter serving breakfast. ASANTENI SANA
Service service service the staff here could not do enough to make sure that your stay is very comfortable and happy rooms are fully equipped with all the amenities that you will need the apartment are so huge lots of space for your little one to run around eve darkest Faith were incredible they were very prompt and always follow up on your request
Was there with family and we had an amazing stay staff are very friendly...Most especially Faith and Ann at the reception were very helpful. Keep up the good work. we shall definitely be back! Rooms are also clean and well maintained
Great service, great amenities. My children enjoyed the swim in the warm pool on a cold chilly morning. The rooms were spacious and the kitchen well stocked.Great service at the reception.Have more variety for breakfast.Thank you.
Great staff, good location, great food and very spacious rooms. If the hotel can improve the internet speeds, it's a true gem. Pool and gym are good. I especially like the spacious rooms and the patio is fantastic.
Overall an excellent and comfortable stay, I wish the rates for single could be reduced though, compared to a 2BR. It would definatly encourage more visits to BW. The staff were very friendly and breakfast selection was good.
the staff was so welcoming and accommodating, during these pandemic we didn't know that use of amenities are only for reservations only, after we checked in my kids wanted to use the pool but sadly we are only on transient for 1 night stay, the front desk staff gave us 30 minutes use of pool after closing hours just to make my kids happy! it was really a good gesture for them to consider the satisfaction of my kids. keep it up and lets all stay safe!!!
Enjoyed my stay here. The location is convenient and the apartment was very clean including the bathrooms. Staff were very friendly and professional too. No complaints at all and I will definitely be staying here again
The hospitality was good, the receptionist (Eve) was especially a delight. The house was clean, beautiful, spacious and well light. My partner and I enjoyed the heated pool and cozy balcony. As well as the good breakfast at the Grove (the rooftop restaurant). The premises is also very secure, peaceful and serene. We also got quick assistance when we required it. We would definitely recommend it and visit again!
If you are traveling with a family, this place is a must!!! Great space, awesome staff, quiet, and good amenities!! Will definitely come here again. The location was great to move around, the rooftop restaurant was very handy for meals with the family with good food. Every employee was very pleasant and ready to help. Their hospitality and problem solving skills were excellent. Keep up the good work
I had a great stay in BW in the month of Feb 2020, All the hotel staffs are very kind (Front Office members, House Keeping , Room Service , Security all members etc...). Especially In front Office Dorcas and Eva has supported a lot.
I had a great time at BW Nairobi. Lovely staff, nice and clean, rooftop bar with decent food - and if you fancy letting loose there is also karaoke on a Thursday :) Thanks for having me guys, all the best!
Because of its location this is my go-to hotel in Nairobi. The rooms are clean and spacious, the water is hot and the wifi is good. The staff makes you feel welcome. The roof top bar is a great place for an informal meeting or to unwind after a long day.
Overall most of the staff and people were nice. The rooms were clean and spacious. Food is delicious. Location is convenient for getting around and also quiet. Couldn't get to swim since the pool was undergoing some general cleaning. However my stay was wonderful and i'll definitely come back
Best Western Executive Residency, located at Riverside Drive, Nairobi is a nice accommodation having comfortable, spacious apartments with reasonably good amenities for the guests. The reception and security staff is quite pleasant and helpful. Best for families visiting the Kenyan capital.
I stayed here with my daughter during our vacation in Nairobi and I must say everything was excellent. The apartments look better than in the photos and its located in a nice quiet environment. The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful. I will definitely come back. I have nothing to complain about.
We went to ERBW for the New Year's Eve dinner. The buffet was reasonably priced with a crowd of patrons who seemed like regulars. Live band was entertaining; played renditions of songs from the '80s and '90s... Loved the relaxed, easy atmosphere.
We had a vey lovely and wonderful experience staying her. The rooms were amazing and sparkling clean. The staffs were amazing and always wearing smiling faces.they are all willing to assist and help out with vital informations. the breakfast was outstanding and the environment is one of the best in Nairobi with easy access to all tourist attractions, shopping malls, night life and airport. the property have a lovely bar and swimming pool at the rooftop which gives you an amazing view
We stayed for 4 nights. The place is excellent with constant light and also nice food. An excellent environment with welcoming staff. I really want to appreciate the staff (EVA) she did so well to help provide food for us when we arrived late and Restaurant has closed.
Best Western don't value people their value money The personnel at the reception is facing extreme pressure from line managers pushing guests to the limit of offenses. I believe they don't believe that African could afford paying a room for more than 10 days. I really feel a harassment just for 300 usd on 1 day delay.
Excellent Hotel, accommodation, amenities and staff. Good WI-Fi and connectivity in the apartment and roof top restaurant. Good breakfast buffet and lovely background music. Relaxing atmosphere, heated swimming and gym. Love the place very much and will come again with my business associates.
Great team of staff members, made our stay a very pleasant one. The apartments are located in a very quiet suburb of nairobi, surrounded by a lot of greenery. Yet close enough to the CBD. Great location. CBD.
We were there for two, one night stays in November. We were astonished with how large the suites were. Each of the suites we stayed in had two bedrooms, three bathrooms, a large kitchen and living area as well as laundry facilities. For the money it was outstanding and the front office staff was incredibly helpful
Excellent hotel, accommodation, staff, etc but imo food can be better. A bit tasteless at times or then full of sauces. Location is great but nothing really near. Otherwise great stay and supernice and kind staff.
This was the largest "hotel" room I have ever stayed in. The property is designed for longer term stays, but can be reserved for as little as two nights. My guess is that the suite I rented was easily 100 square meters. The accomodations are new and very well thought out, for example the electrical outlets are multinational and include USB charging plugs. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful
Superb front desk staff sorry but I can't remember the name. They really set the standard for the entire stay there which turned out to be a wonderful stay. Good looking hotel and rooms. Will definitely be coming back.
First, I want to say that the staff are all very pleasant and helpful. None of what I'm about to write is a criticism of them. This place doesn't quite seem to know what it is or what its target market is. The rooms are little flats, with kitchens and utility rooms, but up on the roof there is a restaurant, a gym and a tiny pool, which bizarrely is in the same enclosed room as the restaurant. At breakfast, guests are offered some African dishes which to a western eye look more like dinner, and there is a chef making omelettes. What is missing is a normal international breakfast of pork bacon, sausages and eggs. Instead, beef bacon and chicken sausages are provided, as if the hotel were in the Gulf. When I pointed out we were not in the Gulf I was told that most of the customers were Muslims, but that's just not true. Looking around the room, on most days the guests were Northern European, Chinese or American. I only ever saw one headscarf in the restaurant. I think the pork restriction is more likely the personal preference of the hotel's senior management, but that should not be forced down everyone else's throats. Lastly, I need to mention the poor design of the plumbing. My room stank of sewage, and close inspection indicated that the sewerage system is contiguous with the waste water system. Under the drains in the showers and bathrooms there seems to be no U-bend or water trap to prevent odours, so the foul water system was effectively venting through my shower. This is clearly a problem with the shoddy way the hotel was built, and would be costly to fix retrospectively. For that reason I won't be staying there again. I'm not paying good money to be trapped overnight with other people's sewage.
I discovered the second hotel in Nairobi with a heated pool! i must come back with my daughter when not on business but for a holiday. i loved the room sizes, my visitors enjoyed teh food and the ambience. It was just a perfect place to be in in Nairobi. Veyr nice staff, friendly- you can tell they have the best culture as you dont see it in their outsourced service - guards at the gate!
Spent some time at this gear apartment hotel. Place was clean and staff was friendly. The hotel restaurant was good. Got one scare with the elevator, but that was probably a power cut so cannot blame the hotel...
Excellent rooms 2 bathrooms very spacious apartment, laundry ,great service but room service charges high, very clean, restaurant meals excellent, staff very helpful and friendly, washing machine very handy, high security ,large manned gates
I booked via booking.com My check in was seamless, they were also willing to accomodate my early check in. Everyone was friendly and the staff were always happy to assist. The rooms were spotlessly clean and were serviced daily. The apartment was well equipped, it had everything one needed. Breakfast did not disappoint as it had different options daily. Wifi was superb. It was the perfect home away from home. I will definitely be back
Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Convenient location - close to the city center, shopping/restaurants. Rooms are spacious, well equipped kitchen, great for family stays. Overall, great customer service, Looking forward to our next stay here.
The rooms sizes are very good well Infact the one I stayed in. Room number G08. The only drawback was the bathrooms. Inspite the big rooms bathrooms were very small. The breakfast was repeated every second day and not a big variety.
If you want a good place to rest and work in a quiet environment but still in the centre of Nairobi the Executive Residency is the place to be. Located in Riverside it gets you to office and shopping malls easily. Rooms are well facilitated for work.
Absolutely loved stay. The apartment was clean, spacious and had a home feeling to it. The location was quite convenient. The personnel are very helpful and friendly, especially Eva. The food at Grove is great too. I'll be coming back again.
Oh my...where can I start. Landing at the Airport was the sign that I had just landed in a country that will lure me back again to visit. Arriving at the hotel at night, Goodwin was the perfect front desk host I could have asked for. He knew I was fatigued from a 22hrs flight and he checked me in seamlessly with each moment catering to my comfort and reassurance that I had just checked into a home away from home. The next morning I was warmly welcomed by all the staff I came across while going for breakfast at the Grove restaurant which has a very seductive rooftop view of Nairobi. The Hotel Sales Manager, Ms Ruth Munga was the highlight of my first day. You could tell that the great attitude and warmth of the staff emanated from the Hotel leadership(Ruth). She gave me a tour of the property and she did not miss a beat in highlighting the amenities of the hotel. Breakfast was a feast fit for a king. Western culinary escorted by local Kenyan breakfast delicacies. The restaurant was clean along with the staff. Cleanliness is a big value here and you saw it everywhere and with every member of the staff. The hotel environs are peaceful safe and very secure. I felt so safe while staying at the hotel. I am definitely using this property on my next visit to Nairobi. For anyone traveling to Nairobi, this must be on your list of places to stay and If i may be bold to say, this is the only place to think of staying. Kudos to the staff and the hotel leadership!!!
Frankly, our choice of this lovely hotel for our 2019 College Reunion was spot on. Our 19 member team was well received. Big thanks to the Admin staff who painstakingly replied ALL our emails and ensured that we got the BEST.
I was in Exclusive Residency for 4 nights with a group of friends from Nigeria for a reunion having first met in 1975. I arrived at the apartments welcomed by friendly and courteous staff. Other front staff have continued in the same frame and in particular Eve who goes out of her way to assist and always having a smile on her face. She took her time to explain a discrepancy in my invoice and I was satisfied.
This is the most serene apartment hotel in Nairobi. The apartments are well appointed and fully equipped for all that you need - home cooking and office set up especially. The staff are courteous and willing to go the extra mile to ensure your comfort.
I happened to be at The Grove Restaurant, late last month. The Welcome was with a Nice Broad Smile from Valentine Wemali - the hostess. With this warm welcome, i had predicted our Meal to be equally good. The balance between the Privacy given on the Table and the Attention given for an order was too good. Valentine never made us feel that we are being watched while eating....like other restaurants we have been in Hotels. I was surprised that she was too active as a Hostess and actually served three more tables than ours - just as a helping hand to the existing waiters. We enjoyed every part of the Service - especially a show around by her in the Swimming Pool Area. We will definitely be back!!!!!
I happened to be in Best Western Residency on Valentine Night for the Dinner. The restaurant was very busy and i could not find a table. Valentine Aembe Wemali was very courteous at the receiving area and within few minutes, she made us comfortable on a hi-table with the city view. The services was good though i was served by other waiters, but Valentine kept on checking with us occasionally and ensured, we do not miss anything that we need on our table. I left my Mobile on the table and left to the parking area. She found us on the security gate while exiting and returned my most valuable phone with a greeting and smile. I have lost two mobile earlier in a public place and a bar, but the honesty of staff for best western just caught me off-guard. Kudos to the Management for having such an asset within their team.
I have always visited their famous Restaurant namely The Grove for a few times and i never seem to get enough of their excellent services and food. I was thrilled during the valentine dinner by their custom made menu which was just fantastic. I highly recommend this place to couples who just love their privacy during their dinner dates and love value for their money well spent. Their F& B Manager Mr. Mohammed is also an amazing person and he is always willing to help.
If you ever want to go somewhere private and feel secure the Executive Residency is the place to be the staff are very friendly, the hotel is spacious, clean and in fact you can cook for yourself. i would like to recommend Dorcas and Lydia Receptionist and hostess at the restaurant Shara and everyone there you were of great help to me. May God surely bless you.
We were impressed by our suite. Stayed here while on honeymoon and it felt like our first apartment together. Our suite was very spacious, with a fully stocked kitchen, and a laundry room with a washing machine. There was a smart TV with Netflix and Youtube which we loved. We could refill our water dispenser at a small cost. Breakfast was lovely as well. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Great value for our money.
This Hotel is really clean and the staff are really professional the view of Nairobi city from the roof top is awesome. They have a warmed pool and kids loved it and they could swim anytime. The only issue is the washer takes so long to wash the clothes. I would also recommend them to provide washcloths for showering as they give towels but I guess every guest is supposed to bring their own washcloth which I found weird. Bilha the receptionist is excellent with her customer service keep it up, not to forget kimotho at the restaurant he always made sure we had the best food anytime we went to the rooftop restaurant. Nice and unique balcony seats. Would stay there again
Good serviced apartment hotel. Spacious and Clean rooms and staff very friendly. I liked the location, silence and greenery of the area. Good for family vacation and business travellers. Need to improve Wifi services. Price is a bit high.
Really enjoyed our quick visit to Nairobi and this hotel was great. The staff are its greatest asset, with friendly service, and willingness to help in every way. The food in the restaurant was outstanding, and the views from there are fantastic. The room was amazing, and the included laundry area was very handy. Definitely would stay there again.
The rooftop restaurant at ERBW offers an awesome view of Nairobi's skyline. Even better, it offers great food at affordable prices served by very courteous wait staff. The restaurant is versatile; is able to handle combinations of large groups and couples out on a date. Highly recommended for residents of Nairobi seeking a new experience.
I had a pleasant stay, the members of staff are extremely helpful...The rooms are quiet spacious, well designed...and baby friendlyBreakfast has a wide variety of items to choose from and the rooftop view of Nairobi is simply breathtaking...
I have stayed at these hotel apartments severally over the past two years and so. It is a great option for those travelers seeking something away from the regular hotel experience. It also provides excellent value for money; and I personally really like its location: close to everything but yet tuck away in a more quiet place.
We were welcomed with brownies, which my friends kept craving almost everyday of our stay! Edward checked us in and was very friendly and nice. He showed us our two bedroom apartment, which was very spacious but on the ground floor in the corner. Apparently, other two bedroom apartments on higher floors are not as spacious. The apartment was cozy and well equipped. On some days, we used to leave in the evenings and wouldn't have our apartment serviced but Grace would be there in the night shift to provide us with anything we needed. She was very sweet and helpful that we felt that we don't need to complain about anything! Breakfast was decent but not that impressive, it's served at the rooftop. If you order anything to the room, they have a $5 tray/service charge which is sometimes more expensive than what you are ordering (i.e., tea). The WiFi is the worst, it would go and come back. They have a smart tv in the room and Netflix but we were not able to watch anything because of the slow/disconnecting WiFi. When we asked them to fix it, a technician was sent to do so, he came for some time then said he will come back but never did. Otherwise, we would still come back and stay here again because they have the friendliest and most amazing staff. There was a misunderstanding about smoking in the room and they came over to the room and clarified it. We also didn't know how to use the complicated coffee machine and two very helpful staff members came over and took us step by step on how to use and operate it. Grace, Edward and Bilha, you guys made the difference! You helped us overlook all the shortcomings in the place and made us want to come back again!
The stay and staff was great! Grace was very accommodating to all our needs! The rooms were very spacious and well designed. Great rooftop bar and restaurant! Great location on riverside east to access everything!
I love this place ! Every time i've been there i felt like home. the room are beautiful and quiet. People are sooo kind ! When you are far from your home, every smile is like a gem. Executive Residency is a mine of gem. Specials thanks to Grace ! She was very patient and professionnal.
Absolutely loved our stay here! Everything was extremely clean and tidy. The staff is amazing, some of the kindest people I've met traveling especially Grace at the front desk! She is incredible! Couldn't recommend this place enough, definitely stay here if you come to Nairobi.
Was a great and lovely stay. I checked in on Friday night and the reception staff on duty ( Grace) was very welcoming, and took time to explain all the hotel facilities with passion and energy despite the late hours. Not only will I recommend the hotel to other people but I will also not hesitate to come back. Keep up the great customer service.
I stayed here for business, and the apartments are lovely - ensuite bedrooms, separate bathrooms, lounge, office, kitchen with small laundry room (washing machine/iron), and balcony. The staff were exceptionally friendly. I lost my phone on one of the days and Edward was extremely helpful - phoning taxis, advising, etc. Grace was also lovely, still smiling and being helpful after a 12 hour night shift.
This is a great hotel, neat rooms, good food and very welcoming staff members. High Five to Beth who was always helpful. I really have nothing negative to say. I would recommend it to anyone traveling to Kenya because it's very affordable as well.
The reception staff were quite friendly and helpful, paid attention to requests. The bedroom was perfect for a single traveler with hairdryer safe, etc.Dining was okay. Would try to stay again if I comeback to Nairobi.
The reception staff were friendly and helpful. Our two bedroom apartment was spacious and well equipped with a nice lounge, dining room, large kitchen, 2 en-suite bathrooms plus a toilet. We didn't use most of the things available but there was a washing machine, fridge, water cooler etc and everything that you would need to cook a meal. It really was a home from home. The bedrooms had a large comfortable bed with mosquito nets, hairdryer, safe etc and the bathrooms had toiletries. Bottled water was left daily. The TV in the lounge had lots of channels so when we were just having a chilled afternoon it was great. We had good Wi-Fi but you do have to reconnect ever so often. When we had early starts, reception arranged packed breakfasts for us which was nice. The breakfast in the restaurant was pretty basic but not bad. The same cannot be said about the dinner we ate in the restaurant. The fish was extremely overcooked and tough and the chips were undercooked and very oily. The vegetable and salad were fine. It was very disappointing for the price we paid. Overall I would recommend this as a nice place to stay and an apartment is definitely nicer than a hotel room but I would recommend eating elsewhere.
I stayed here while on a business trip in Nairobi. A quiet place away from the noisy city centre. Comfortable spacious rooms that are self-contained. Superb sleep quality. Very ideal while on business & for family holidays. The staff were particularly hospitable & very friendly. I really had an awesome stay in this place!
This was our first stay here. We took a 2 bedroom apartment. These are extremely well maintained and the finish is of high quality. The rooms are not as big but adequate and both rooms are ensuite with an additional common toilet outside in the lounge. Kitchen diner and open plan lounge was perfect for an overnight stay. Breakfast at the rooftop was basic but adequate. An egg and pancake station with sausages and vegetables/cereals and tea /coffee or Masala tea made. Small selection of pastries and danish available as well. A play /chill area has been created at the rooftop which had amazing views of the city. Bathrooms has amazing shower which really helped after a long flight.
My husband and I spent the majority of our time in Kenya at this hotel with intermittent trips to the Mara and the coast. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff who work here. We were always welcomed and greeted upon returning from our days activities by the security at the gate as well as hotel staff. I searched for a place that would have the comforts of home and these apartments are spacious, comfortable, clean, and exactly what we needed. The pictures are reflective of how they are. The location was good for us to areas we wanted to go, off the main busy streets of Nairobi and surrounded by embassies, so quite safe. The rooftop bar and restaurant were adequate although we often ate outside the hotel. While we had no use for the kitchen except for the fridge, I did complete a few loads of laundry which was helpful. It did take me a bit to understand how the machine worked since our US washing machines are separate from our dryers but it all worked out. I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone who wants an apartment and more comforts of home while staying in Nairobi. If you want an active bar, multiple restaurants and an active bustling hotel this may not be the place. Thank you to everyone who made our stay so enjoyable.
Their WIFI needs improvement. Kept telling me their IT guy would be available the next day.....in the mean time?????? Requested electronic adapter plugs and was informed they did not have any available. Apparently they were all in use and mind you the hotel barely had 50% occupancy. Called for assistance with luggage during check out, no one available. Waited 25 minutes, finally I had to bring my own luggage down. The shower drainage in the room I was in 1 bedroom did not work properly. I have stayed at this hotel before, but my last visit was not a pleasant experience.
Excellent, clean and safe place to stay in Nairobi. Great for family vacation. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. The master bedroom and bathroom in our first apartment was a bit small. I had to remove the mosquito bednet to create some space. The rooms need some heat during cold season. Breakfast can be improved by variety.
HORRIBLE!!!!!!! This hotel was horrible! Tried to do my laundry in the room and the door locked my clothes in all night! Had a flight to catch in the morning. Called a person who told me to wait to till the morning because machine was overheated. Plane to catch and 4 suitcases to pack....in the morning before a flight. Didn't sleep ALL night. So paid for a room I didn't even get any sleep in!!!!! After getting that sorted.... WiFi was HORRIBLE! Intermittent at best. Went for breakfast, the coffee was the worst I've ever had! Kenyan coffee is supposed to be the best...NOT HERE! Ordered an omelette and cook gave it someone else! Reordered and got a piece of foil in it!!!! NIGHTMARE!!!!!
I couldn't believe my eyes when I walked into the room. 2 bathrooms, plus an extra toilet, bedroom, living room, kitchen, including a full oven, microwave, all you need to cook a meal, and wash up, and a washing machine. You could definitely live there long term. Staff were friendly and helpful. Really nice place
While I was only staying for 9 days, the Executive Residency would be an excellent location for long term stays. The kitchen facilities in each room allow the visitor the flexibility of preparing their own meals. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Thank you for the great service!
Stayed in this location to test out if it would work for long term rental. Outstanding facility well located. Safe. Strong internet. Pool. Rooftop bar. Outstanding staff. Fair price. Highly recommend.
I can't say enough good things about this hotel and the people who work there! I booked this on another site and reserved a one bedroom with two beds, but when we got there there were no one bedroom with two beds so they upgraded us and did NOT charge us more! First positive thing! The rooms were amazing! Second positive thing! Large bedrooms with nice bathrooms. We had a small deck with the most amazing swing chair--that had I had time would have been where I did all my work, but we only spent one night. Beds were very comfortable--only thing I would have liked would have been a second blanket as I was a bit cold, but then again the time of the year and my general exhaustion may have led me to be colder than most people (also, I did not search the room, so it is possible that there was another blanket in the room!) There was a nice living area with a nice desk to work on as well as a very comfortable sofa. My friend used the desk and I used the sofa to do some work. Internet was good and we had no problems using it--it was faster than a lot of other places we had been in Kenya. Nice kitchen and even had a washer and dryer combo--we didn't really use either as we arrived late in day and left the next day. Breakfast was good--your typical Kenyan breakfast, eggs cooked how you wanted, fresh fruit and fruit juice, coffee, muffins, etc. It is in the area of several embassies, and I am not sure what is around that is walkable, but UBERS are easy to get. I am hoping to return on my next visit and stay here!
The ladies at the reception were welcoming and helpful, they sacrificed one of their chairs to accommodate us. The housekeeper, Bilha, was very kind as well. The premise has a quiet ambience which was really a pleasure.
Great value for the price. Spacious rooms, good food. There is nothing fancy about the place, but it is safe and comfortable. People like house keeper Gladys always smile, and she is wonderful. There is not allot of common room space, but I had several meeting in the living room so you have extra privacy.
Very good accommodation. Better than pictures. Only complaint was WiFi connection always out and restaurant prices were high. Great place for families. Clean and good beds. Great location. Safe area for kids.
Right from booking to check out,the process was smooth. Staff exhibited high level of professionalism and they know their job well. They ensured my stay was enjoyable and always made sure I got what I needed and in good time. As I thank the entire team from front desk, to kitchen staff and the cleaners, I would appreciate one Valentine Masila for her tireless effort of coordinating my stay right from the time I called from United States to show my interest in the property. She's quite an asset to the company and wish her well as she does what she knows best. I look forward to my next stay when I come back to Nairobi later in the year.
We had an exceptional stay here. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, especially the two booking agents and the two ladies at the front desk. They all went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible! The restaurant has awesome food and our rooms were clean and supplied with everything we needed. It was a great experience and we would not hesitate to stay again!
Tons of space, comfortable bed, great location close to several embassies. Floor could have been slightly cleaner, but bed, couch and bathroom very still very clean. Very good value for money, especially given the vast amount of space (2 bathrooms, 1 bedroom, 1 office, one living room with TV, one kitchen). Check-in was easy.
The facilities of the hotel (rooms - restaurant - gym) provide high quality service and tick the box for someone who needs to pay a working visit to Nairobi and all of this comes against a very competitive rate!
After a bit of a mix up with the bookings, things were quickly sorted out. The team was terrific despite being stressed with 100% booking. Breakfast service was a bit chaotic - again due to 100% booking. Was not so excited about the food - need healthy choices. I told the staff that I wish I had known about this earlier, because it was really excellent service, and the staff very solutions oriented. The gym was definitely not up to scratch for executives on the road, who want to stay healthy. An investment into expanding the gym would make this place a perfect solution. A little store for late arrivers with basics like milk, a mini-bar would be perfect. Many flights arrive in the middle of the night. I would definitely stay there again.
The 2 bedroom apartment was convenient with well equipped kitchen & washer drier. Though the apartment was a bit compact, it was okay for a 3 night stay; breakfast was basic but the staff went out of their way to serve us well. As it was a bit hot, fans were provided upon request to make our stay comfortable.
We spent 10 nights here recently. A lot has improved since my last review. WiFi is so much better, they also have the cool plug-in insecticides which dealt with mosquitoes and during our stay fumigated the room once. The breakfast buffet is also better, still has room for improvement but definitely better than the last time. The place is still very clean but sometimes cleaning crew overlook finer details. The staff were very welcoming and very helpful as I was there with 4 children. I highly recommend this place. It's Clean Hospitable Well Equipped Quiet Good food Worth the money spent! Definitely coming back.
My heart sinks when I see Hotels name themselves according to what they think you want. the Executive Residency is modern but looks like it might have been built in the naughty 90s. It lacks imagination and is very box like. The apartments are OK but the devil is in the detail. Cupboard space is odd. The bathroom is weird and as a result there is only room for a tiny basin with no storage for bathroom accessories. The shower could be clever in that the taps are designed so that you do not need to get wet when you turn the shower on but the door opens the wrong way making it absolutely necessary to get wet turning on the taps. The extractor is cheap and nasty and as a result makes a noise louder than a jumbo jet. The apartments are 2 bedroom but mine being I assume more executive had a cheap nasty desk instead of the bed in the second bedroom. There is a nice verandah area but you access it through cheap nasty metal doors which scrape and bang. The whole hotel has been built to occupy every single inch of the plot so as a result when one takes a break from the conference you are literally looking into the neighbours windows. You could reach in and take their buns. The top floor is where the public rooms are but it has been crowded to include the gym, an indoor swimming pool, the restaurant and outdoor bar. When kids are swimming you are literally soaked as you eat your meal. The food is pretty good. See what I mean if you call yourself Executive: people look for reasons and when they don't find it, it leaves a smell.
I attended a conference at the Executive Residency in December 2017 then again more recently in February 2018. I loved the experience both times - from the welcome at the basement parking from the very cheerful security guards to the front desk team who were not only welcoming but also helpful and accommodating. The Executive Residency has two meeting rooms (dubbed the Slate) which have a sliding door which can be opened up to create a larger room. Each room can comfortably fit 10 to 15 people making it ideal and highly recommended for smaller groups. Snacks can be served inside the room or on an outside patio with a view of the Westlands area. A sumptuous lunch is served at the rooftop restaurant (The Grove). I would highly recommend the Executive Residency for small meetings because though it is a little out of the way (you have to take a cab to get there) the ambience, excellent facilities and fantastic team more than make up for the distance. I am sure I will be back again - if for nothing else but the awesome food and ambience.
For our 5 day business trip we were looking for a spacious apartment with the amenities of a centrally located hotel but also providing the option to cook and wash ourselves. The Executive Residency at Riverside Grove just across the Uganda High Commission has proven to be a very good choice: 2 separate bed-rooms, 2 bath-rooms, kitchen and living room, balcony - all well-kept and clean. Upon arrival we went up to the roof-top bar with a stunning view over the city. The only drawbacks have been the washing/dryer machine full of lints which did not get cleaned despite our request to do so and the absence of a sizable cooking pot in the kitchen. As an alternative staff have provided us with the 3rd frying pan. In summary: very good value - we'll be coming back.
A great place to stay if you are planning on staying in Nairobi for more than a few nights. Has all the benefits and amenities of a hotel but with all the facilities of an apartment. The lounge and kitchen are well equipped and come with washing machine which is very convenient. The rooms are comparable to any quality business hotel with safe, plenty of closet space and nice large bathrooms
I stay for 2 weeks. Love the place very much. Very executive room, good service, good food, gym and pool. Nice roof top restaurant and bar. Good WiFi in the room and smart TV. I will definitely come back with my family in my next visit.
I stayed at the Executive Residency for a total of 13 days in December. I had a really good experience with the staff and the surroundings. I like everything about the hotel, including the washer and dryer. The hammock on the balcony is a nice touch. The wireless is good and stable. There is a router in the apartment. If you experience issues with it, simply unplug and plug it back up again. There was nothing special about the breakfast, but I liked the pancakes.
Pro: full serviced nice and confortable apartments, clean, quiet, good breakfast, gym and pool. Nice roof top restaurant Cons: need a taxi to go anywhere. NOt walking distance to shopping, restaurants or entertainment. Good value for money.
Stayed here for near enough 3 weeks during November. Very comfortable room including an office, kitchen and living room. Fantastic staff! Great location. Nice restaurant on the roof top and a nice, albeit basic gym which serves the purpose of being able to maintain a training rhythm. Relatively limited choice in food but all of good quality. Will definitely go back.
The place is located in a very safe, clean and serene part of the city. The rooms are extremely well done, great finish of the building and modern facilities. Beautiful deco and very quiet place. The internet sucks very slow and breakfast needs an upgrade. The pool is cute but may not work well because no barriers and likely to splash water into the restaurant. Otherwise very friendly staff and generally its a place i would highly recommend. I have stayed in other BW property outside Kenya and this is the best so far.
Had a great stay with great staff and good food. Really appreciate the services offered and care provided. Love the ambient Natural light flooding the room. Creates such a serene setup for relaxing. As well as the Green views with some out crops of some really beautiful buildings. Then the location away from the loud bustling city business.. serene.
I was supposed to stay for 5 nights in but due to changing schedule I ended up staying for 2 nights only. Staff as well as management has been exceptionally accomodating. The rooms are really clean and functional and very well equipped (even iron and ironboard, mosquito repellent and nets as also a hairdryer). All personel was extremely kind snd there was just a good atmosphere throughout the hotel. The location is perfect as many businesses (other than governmental institutions which seem to be more downtown) are close.
Tastefully designed and spacious apartments that offer both; self catering options as well as a restaurant with delicious food and various options. The rooms are very clean. Wifi was great and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. What makes this place so amazing is the personal touch and the staff who were very pleasant throughout.
I think what really sells this hotel is the warm and friendly nature of all staff. They are really GOOD! Things to improve though: poor wifi services in the rooms and mosquitoes. I still love staying there.
Excellent and class kept extremely clean. Quiet place to relax and enjoy your stay. Great amenities gym and swimming pool. Lovely restaurant and staff too.It is a place I would love to come back stay with my family in my next visit.
