"Hot and dirty!!!"


To start off, it was so hot, the room ac was off, so they said give it 5 minutes and it will cool. But cane 5 hours later and we were still sweating, they wouldn't give us our $ back. The pool was green and smelly and close, but when we called they said it was open and running! The rooms look like an old do it yourself back room. And hairs everywhere, on side of walls in restroom floors and the shower mat was hanging on shower door like if its clean, but it was all full of mold like you could catch something if you stepped on it. Trying to save 10 dollars is so not worth it!!!!!!!

Wonderful service. It's in the center of the city. Great employees, they made sure we had everything we needed. It was a very comfortable stay. Would definitely recommend this place and stay here on my next visit.

I stayed at the best western due a business trip to AHMSA, it was very good located with a great service ,very good Mexican food , my room was 106 it is a very comfortable. I'll totally come back. Congratulations to all the employees Thanks

"Better than expected"


I read the reviews and I was concerned about this hotel, I decided to try it and I'm glad I did it. This hotel is in the main avenue in town, excellent sized rooms, really clean swimming pool and friendly staff. I'd definitely book again in best western hotels!



One of the worst motel experiences I have ever had. Best Western would be well aadvised to take their name and reputation way from this establishment. Ther ewas no heat. The one towel I was given had a 2-3 inch hole in the middle of it. The toilet would have run all night if I hadn't turned it off at the source. The remote control for the television would not turn the TV on; Mgt. brought a second remote. The staff was unable to answer any questions that I asked regarding paces to eat or the distance to the border. The mattress was very poor. Enough, find another option for a place to stay in Monclova!

"Don't judge a book by its cover"


I recently went to Monclova due to a business trip. I was hesitant to book at the Best Western because of the reviews but had no choice because it was a in my price range and location. But what can I say... I was VERY IMPRESSED by their service and cleanness. When my coworker and I arrived the staff greeted with some complimentary cocktail drinks, which I thought it was nice way to welcome us. We went to our rooms and I can say they are very roomy. Our stay was a 5 day stay. The service was great and friendl, their complimentary breakfast was topnotch and I would return again. I am not sure if there is new management and that's why of the changes or if those reviews are true, but I am very impressed and will recommend Best Western.

"Not the Best Western that I once admired"


(Travel date was August 9, 2012) The only reason why I gave this hotel a rating of two and not one is because of the night reception staff, they were very accomadting. The reasons for my one rating: I stayed on the second floor, room 220? (last room on the end of that row, a junior suite). That was not the room that I had reserved. 1. I had reserved a room with a king size bed and it was not available. I was given a junior suite to compensate. It had a kitchen but no pots, pans, dishes, etc., so it was useless. 2. The room had a musty smell and was in need of some deeper cleaning (floor corners had dirt and hair, stains on the walls and closet needed swept and mopped). 3. The a/c did not cool the bedroom. It seems like a larger minisplit a/c is needed. 4. The headbord had been painted brown and the walls were stained with brown paint ( I hope that it was paint). 5. The bathroom was not clean. The toilet is too close to the opposing wall and a normal sized person cannot sit on the toilet without the knees rubbing agains the wall. 6. There was not potable water in the room. There is a note over the wash basin that warns that the water is not potable. 7. The shower curtain was too short and during the shower water wet the entire floor of the bathroom. 8. The drain seemed to be clogged as water pooled up severel inches. upon closer inspection the drain had a clump of hair. This could have been avoided had the cleaning staff cleaned the shower properly. 9. Upon checkin the reception had no record of my reservation much less the confirmation that the room had been prepaid by American Express. 10. At checkout there was no one at the reception desk. I waited several minutes and finally reached over the counter for a piece of paper and pen and hand wrote my room number and explained that I was checking out and left the key-card and t.v. remote and a/c remote. I would have complained in person but there was no one at the front desk upon check out.

"Great Place"


Great Staff, Clean Rooms, Great food, and good location. I can not say enough about the quality, even though it does not have the Ambience of the Sheraton down the street, it makes up for it in Value.
