Best Western Plus Westgate Inn & Suites

I signed up for four nights at this “pet friendly” motel at $159/night that was unrefundable. I told them I had a dog, the type of breed, her weight. When I arrived, I had to sogn a contract that included a $30/night fee. Sine itvwas after dark, and it was a non-refundable fee, I had little choice. Based on that few, I had lots of other options at $30/night, but they had me. This should be illegal, and I hope they pass a law with hefty penalties. In the meantime I'll never stay at a Best Western again and encourage others not to. The $30 is one thing, but the deception and dishonesty is much worse.

From the moment we checked in, the two young ladies working the front desk were wonderful! Upgraded our room to a handicap accessible and on the first floor. Hotel is absolutely beautiful! Room was spacious and most importantly clean! After checking in we asked the ladies to recommend a tavern to watch the NC/Duke basketball game, she said try the “local tavern”. I replied, “ yes, I'm looking for a local tavern”, they said “ no, the business is called Local Tavern!!!” It was an excellent call! Bed ( king size) was extremely comfortable. Breakfast on Sunday morning was excellent! Wonderful hot and cold entrees to choose from. The staff was excellent, refilling all trays as needed, cleanup as well. Can't say enough about our stay, Hats Off to your staff!!!!

We needed a convenient, quiet non-smoking, non-pet hotel with breakfast, and good wi-fi. The Best Western Inn & Suites in Leland exceeded all of those requirements - a lovely property with very helpful staff; super-clean, quiet room; and a good morning breakfast. Will recommend this facility to friends living in the area for their guests.

At check-in I was blown away by the lobby itself, for the same price in other areas the accommodations are not nearly as spacious or beautiful. The room was great, also bigger than expected, and they made sure to fulfill my request from my online booking before I even had a chance to ask about it.

Best Western Westgate Inn & Suites was an unexpected gem. The facility was conveniently located to any number of stores and eateries. The hotel was very clean, and the staff were attentive and polite. The breakfast was tasty and plentiful. I would recommend Best Western Westgate Inn & Suites.

In the past, this hotel was excellent, which is why we come back whenever we cisit family in Leland. This visit was disappointing. The beds and pillows were extremely uncomfortable, housekeeping did not even clean the bathroom.

I was pleasantly shocked at the quality of this hotel, particularly the breakfast. I rarely go at all but this time I went for seconds! In addition, every staff member we encountered was extremely friendly.

Waffles, strawberries and whipped cream! Comfortable beds and friendly staff. Convenient location. It says I have to use 200 minimum characters, and I have 45 to go, so here are extra characters. Cheers.

The hotel was very clean. The room I stayed in was spacious. All the staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great. Breakfast had lots of options and changed daily. I would stay here again in a minute.

Room floor was dirty..had not been cleaned/vacuum in awhile. Furniture tables not in good shape/we had NO internet..got bite by fleas or something in the bed while sleeping. We all had allergies after we left home while traveling back home. The only positive was the bathroom was clean! Too expensive for what you get. Staff was not concern about your problems. Would not stay here again.

Dead and live bugs, grimy walls and doors, peeping Tom accessible (curtain did not prevent easy view into room), terrible smell (mildew or backed up drains). Breakfast didn't have a working coffeemaker so the manager was going to the store at 9 am to buy energy drinks. No internet because it was hit by lightening last week.

I booked a night online and later realized I needed to add another night to my stay. I called the hotel, verified my info and was told I was all set. I received my new conf. email and saw that the dates were correct. To make a long story short the night I booked on-line was $138.57 total, the day they added by phone was $289 without taxes. Yes, had I scrolled further in the email I would have noticed that but I also would have noticed it was non-refundable. I called and was told it was the person who made the reservation change fault. I was given the email of HeatherLong-asst.gen.mgr. After several emails I was basically told they will refund the $5 extra I was charged from my original rate for 1st night I booked on-line and she would speak with her employees about notifying guests of the rate. I would have most definitely stayed at a decent hotel in Wilmington and dealt with the traffic for a cheaper rate than that! Beware of this hotel if you book by phone!

Excellent hotel for the value, breakfast was very enjoyable, clean rooms, quiet, great comfortable sleep, staff was very professional and courteous, would definitely recommend the Best Western to all my family and friends!

We stayed at the BW Plus Westgate on our way to Sunset Beach. The hotel was extremely clean, renovated and the staff was very kind/hospitable. It is located near local restaurants, fast food, grocery stores should you need anything during your stay. The breakfast bar had a wide offering for our family and we look forward to future returns!

They have a real breakfast. Property is nice and room are as well. The staff is very nice and friendly and makes sure everything looks nice. Will definitely be staying here again. The outdoor pool and hot tub were well kept. Didn't use it but there is an exercise room as well.

I have to give this Best Western one of the best reviews of all. Everything was more like a luxury hotel. The room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. The bed was great and it included all necessary amenities and a desk. Shower had good water pressure. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was better than the usual hotel breakfasts.

Enjoyed the stay, even if just for work. Location ic convenient for a variety of restaurants and basic shopping needs. Clean and well kept, friendly staff. Breakfast was fast and fresh. Wouldn't think twice about staying here again

Greeted with a smile and willingness to help as soon as I stepped through the door. Excellent breakfast. Room was spotless. Wonderful hotel stay. Would definitely recommend this hotel for any sort of travel. Plenty of food options close by too.

One of our best stays. A Marriott in Columbus, OH didn't measure up to this stay. My husband and I were visiting relatives in Leland and Winnabow. I had booked the Holiday Inn across the street but the person I spoke with on a Friday night at the reservation desk struck me as odd. Clerk had music blaring so loud I had to tell her that it was distracting from the conversation I wanted to have. Eventually she did turn off the music. I'm so happy that we switched our reservation to the Best Western Plus. Cannot say enough good things about this hotel. Mattresses were very comfortable. Staff during anytime of day were friendly, professional and helpful. It also is conveniently located near stores and restaurants. Highly recommend this facility.

I'm writing this in honesty. This stay was by far the best we have ever experienced in a hotel. From the time we entered the hotel to the time we left, we have nothing but good things to say about the BW. The front staff and the breakfast staff were amazing! They were all very respectful and courteous. The whole hotel experience was excellent! The hotel itself looked like it was brand new. Highly recommend this hotel.

Internet speeds were slow and wireless signals were weak, assuming you could log on to their internet. Network logon screens were never presented to our laptops thus we couldn't access their internet. We ended up using our tablets instead but even then you had a 50/50 chance of being presented the network logon screen. Very frustrating since you had to logon to their network every day.

Very nice hotel with a helpful and friendly staff. I erroneously booked an accessible King room and was upgraded to a suite when I told them I didn't need the accessible room. My regret was I only had one night to stay, wished my stay could've been longer.

Impressive entrance. Felt like a large "Big City" hotel. Check (and out) went smoothly. Parking very convenient. Room was beautiful and very clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast bar looked nice but we only had tea & coffee. Best experience we have had in roadside hotel in many years.

Comfortable, quiet, safe location, five minutes from downtown Wilmington. Twenty minutes to the beaches. Close to nearby restaurants, shopping, fuel. Short drive to historical sites, arboretums and aquarium.

Wonderful Experience Yolanda was soooooo helpful, handled my requests with such a willing and helpful spirit. They delivered it perfectly. The room was extremely clean, the beds comfortable, the cleaning staff, a special shout out too ...we had plenty of towels, the entire bathroom well stocked. We never had to ask for anything, their professional customer service was really noticed and appreciated by us. Also Heather, who welcomed us with a very warm, friendly smile and sought out immediately to go above and beyond her duties to accommodate us: just an all around GREAT EXPERIENCE from the taking and making our reservations no negative issues...finally the ENTIRE breakfast staff, Yolanda and Heather, every hotel should have one. Thank you for allowing me to express my gratitude and appreciation!!!!!

This is the second time we've stayed here. The hotel is very clean and the staff if very friendly and helpful. We splurged for a suite, but it was well worth it for the extra room. I liked the little "mini-bar set up (sink, microwave and fridge altogether). You have to ask for it, but you can get regular housekeeping, something that was sort of no-brainer before COVID, but now seems to be by exception. I asked for it when we made our online reservation and the hotel staff was very accommodating.

We've stayed here a few times and are never disappointed. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. You will be hard-pressed to find a better breakfast hotel buffet unless you intend to spend hundreds on room. The staff is super friendly and responsive.

The staff was nice, breakfast was really delicious and the people that cook it are so sweet and help you with anything you ask. The Accommodations were all great! The pet friendly rooms are clean and don't smell like animals stay there. The pool and hot tub were relaxing, my 11 yr old loved it as well. We have another reservation for a few days this October so if all goes well we will definitely make this our second home when we are in town. Looking forward to our stay again!

If your visiting Wilmington, or any area nearby, Leland, NC's Best Western is the place to stay. Friendly, knowledgeable staff, great breakfast, and a convenient location. Naturally there is a pool, fitness center, bar, and just a very comfortable place to hang out between whatever else you want to do. Highly recommended.

I booked three rooms for two weeks at this hotel and nobody had any complaints. Unusual considering the fact that a number of people were in and out of the rooms. From what I gather the hotel is about 10 years old but you couldn't tell. It was kept up very well it was scrupulously clean and the staff was great. All in all you can't do better for the money.

Very clean. Breakfast was great. Mrs. E makes the best grits. Really makes a stay great. Room was clean as well as lobby area. We didn't get to try lounge but it looked very nice. Overall location is great.

Breakfast was delicious, variety of different food and drink options, very friendly staff, clean hotel, the location is great close to stores and restaurants and not to far from the beach. Definitely will be staying there again

We are in town for a baseball tournament and so far this stay has been a great experience!! Hotel is nice, breakfast is the best we've had at a hotel and hotel is clean! Beds are not as comfortable as we've had but that would be our only complaint!

After a horrid experience with the Country Inn& Suites on New Centre Drive, ( we left without staying the night!) we were able to book at the BWP Westgate. It was absolutely fabulous! Lovely pool and small jacuzzi outside. The room was clean and “stink-free”! I did not see any stains or filth at all. The breakfast was stellar! Best of all, the front desk lady and the breakfast crew were as fabulous as the hotel itself. I highly recommend this hotel and if I have a need for One in other cities, I will look into the Best Western Plus!!

Wish we would have switched to this hotel sooner. Came across from the holiday inn express and this was a better stay, hands down. Breakfast was excellent with fresh tasty waffles. Quiet rooms with great space. Pool area was enjoyable. Staff was excellent throughout.

Everything was terrific! The room was very clean and neat, the desk personnel were welcoming and helpful, the breakfast was wonderful, and the cooks were helpful and very nice. I enjoyed my stay so much! I compared it to a night at Hampton Inn in another city, and Best Western was tons better. I would never stay at Hampton again, but I'll be back to Best West.

Make sure that all of your Best Western Plus hotels are this high quality in cleanliness, hospitality/friendliness of employees, quality and quietness of room, and quality of breakfast served. This particular hotel definitely gets a 5 out of 5 from us.

Hotel was clean, included breakfast, and in a great location close to shops and restaurants. The staff was friendly and easily accessible for questions/assistance. Will definitely be staying here again.

Everyone was very pleasant and breakfast was great, alternated breakfast foods. Would give it a 10. Location is good for beaches. Myrtle Beach about an hour from this location. Can be at any beach within 30 minutes. Brunswick County offers nice beaches as well.

I can't recommend this hotel more highly. The staff was amazing, the breakfast great, rooms very clean and comfortable, location great. Only 30 minutes to Carolina Beach, close to Wilmington, and lots of restaurants and stores nearby. The pool was clean and they have a lift for wheelchair users to get in and out!

Great place to stay. Yolanda checked me in with my small little doggie. Very friendly and Yolanda could not do enough for me. She was very engaging and friendly. Hotel is spotless and the room was excellent. Above the rest of the chains when it comes to their price and pet policy!

Laundry is convenient to us. We came for a soccer tournament. Used laundry to wash/dry players' uniforms for next day game. Breakfast services provides everything I need. Internet speed is adequate for me.

My husband and I needed immediate accommodations to attend the funeral of a family member. Our only stumbling block is that we needed a "pet friendly" hotel. We were pleasantly surprised to find Westgate, and to find such an immaculate hotel.

Had a two queen standard room. Breakfast was very good. Hotel was very clean. Check in & check out were quick & easy. Outlets in bathroom would not allow me to plug in my flat iron, plug didn't fit, however no issues with my hair dryer.. was a bit odd-had to use the plugs outside of the bathroom. AC worked really well, was over 80 outside, room stayed cool. Hallway outside room was well lit & nice and cool. Shower worked well. Lots of towels. Room had a fridge and a small bar sink. Everyone on staff was so nice & polite. Just an overall nice stay, if I'm in the area again will most definitely come back. Area had a lot of places to eat. Right near the hotel was a Walgreens, Walmart, Applebee's and numerous fast food places some of which had roads that led right to the hotel parking lot, extremely convenient. Had a really nice stay.

This hotel is awesome. The food, rooms, employees, pool, architecture, cleanliness, beds, room size are all above average— would definitely recommend and stay here again! Fits right in with the old antebellum structures With lots of columns and tall ceilings, but new nice.

Clean room, comfortable beds & great staff! Stayed for 4 days, breakfast each day was meticulously prepared. Down to individually wrapped pieces of bread! (Who does that??) Located close to a variety of restaurants, gas stations, Walmart & beaches are about 20-30 minutes away!

Great customer service.It was a overall good stay. I got along with all guests great.And I enjoyed my stay there I leftovers in the fridge.I slept like a champ three nights. Then I stayed two nights before that.

Everything about this Hotel was perfect. One of cleanest Hotels my husband and I have ever stayed in. The staff was lovely. The breakfast which is included was great so much to choose from. The location was awesome, everything at your fingertips.

We stayed here for a weekend trip and was highly impressed. It's is extremely clean both inside and outside of the building. The staff is friendly and our room was very comfortable. We had a two bed suite and it was very spacious and did not feel cramped at all. There were also 3 to 4 pillows per bed which is perfect for us because we like a lot of pillows. The beds were comfortable too. Overall it felt like we were at a high end hotel. The Complementary breakfast was very well done. There was so much to choose from including bacon!!! On Saturday they had everything for breakfast burritos and home fries. Breakfast was truely done well with friendly staff keeping everything filled and clean. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone. Well done Best Western!!

Excellent facility and amenities. The staff was on spot, courteous and helpful. Breakfast served was the best that I have had at any of the many many Best westerns I have visited over the last 10-12 years of using Best Western almost exclusively during my travels.

We stayed here for two nights while visiting friends in Leland. The location is great. Not far from Wilmington. The accommodations were great. Room was clean and decent size. Bathroom had a decent amount of room on the sink counter which is something that not all hotels have. The staff were friendly and helpful. The free breakfast had just about everything you could want, cereal, danish, bagels, eggs, waffles, fruit, hash browns, bacon, yogurt, etc.

Great breakfast options, nice beds, friendly service, convenient location, and clean rooms. What more could you ask for? The staff, in particular, were extremely friendly and helpful. I accidentally left my phone -- they found it, secured it, and sent it to me. I am so thankful. Highly recommend this Best Western.

Very clean and well run facility. Front desk is welcoming and helpful. The rooms are very nice and in fantastic condition. The breakfast is fantastic. The location is excellent, with a lot of shopping and restaurants only minutes away.

The staff here was very nice. Greeted when you come and go. Asked if you needed anything. Breakfast area was clean and had good choices. Room was very nicely decorated with walk-in shower. Good choices of tv channels. Keurig coffee pot in room.

Only spent two nights, but found the rooms clean and the staff efficient and friendly. The king bed was very good, with what looked like almost new bedding - very clean, unblemished. Rug was worn, but clean as was the furniture. Bathroom was clean, but sink and shower were showing their age.

All staff were very accommodating except the rude evening male clerk at check in/out. This is my second experience with him and both were unpleasant! He was never accommodating or smiled, acted as if everyone worked for him. He tried to change the accuracy of the reservation that was corrected by a younger man that worked during the day. I had to fight with him to keep the accuracy of the bill. Had to recheck to make sure the jerk didn't over charge me. He hates your animals!!!

Very clean hotel/room and friendly staff. Ample places to eat in the area. The hotel breakfast was superior. We had our small dog with us and pets are very welcomed. There Is a $30 dollar charge for a pet.

The room and bathroom were clean. Comfy pillows and bed. Staff were welcoming and friendly! Breakfast was tasty and had a variety of choices! I will stay again at this hotel and recommend it to anyone!

Hotel was clean. Free Breakfast was one of the best I've ever seen at a hotel and the breakfast staff was top notch. Only complaint is fitness center was under renovation and site didn't indicate it.

We were unaware that the hotel was going through renovations. It was a bit inconvenient that you had to use side door to enter and exit the hotel and that the first floor was closed off with plastic. Also would have liked to had the bar open. Bright spot was the Breakfast and all of the wonderful ladies working there. Loved the breakfast tortillas with egg and chorizo.

We have stayed at many Best Western Plus facilities but the one in Leland,NC was by far the best. Staff friendliness, overall quality of the Inn, comfort of the bedding and the quality and quanity of the breakfast offerings, all exceeded our expectations. Needless to say, we will opt for an additional stay in Leland.

Modern and clean room with fast WiFi, great TV and quiet. Great breakfast bar in the morning with wide assortment of cold and hot food provided by a very courteous and friendly staff. I would stay on my next trip.

Nice hotel with an excellent breakfast provided by some hard working ladies. We were checking it out for future visits due to it being pet friendly. Unfortunately, they impose dog breed restrictions so we won't be returning. These places really need to get over this breed paranoia, or at least have the sense and courtesy to make it abundantly clear on their website.

The hotel staff was so nice! From the front desk to the kitchen staff- breakfast was delicious and the place was clean! My only suggestion would be to put wipes in the gym as I had to go to the front desk to ask for something to clean the equipment/weights I had used for the 3 days I was there. We will definitely be coming back!

Always stay at the Best Western in Leland NC when visiting my son who lives in Carolina Beach. The staff at this hotel are some of the nicest folks. I stay in hotels 10-12 per year and this hotel is my favorite for certain. Rachel at the front desk is wonderful.

The hotel and staff were extremely accommodating, the rooms were clean and the area felt safe. Breakfast was good and the hotel is in close proximity to everything. I was surprised that they allowed pets, so on our next trip there we will be bringing ours. I definitely would recommend this place!

Super clean! Super friendly staff! Good breakfast! Cozy lobby area for chatting around the fireplace. The only issue we had would be the pull out in our king suite. It was pretty much all springs and no matress. I mean not like the usually thin pull out matress but literally just springs. Definitely not something that anyone could actually sleep on. Maybe we just got a bad one...had to sleep three wide in the king bed. Other than that, it was an overall great stay!

Excellent retreat. Dog friendly, warm staff, clean and comfortable rooms, great beds and linens. We had a nightmare experience at the Best Western we stayed in the night before, so we were exhausted and in need of comfort and a good night's rest. Our stay was perfect.

While doing personal business in Leland, NC, we chose Best Western Plus Westgate for its convenience. After our first stay, we felt this hotel was not only convenient but excellent in many ways and the go-to place when in the area.

I really enjoy this hotel. The staff is always helpful and friendly. The location is very convient to all the beaches of your choice and to downtown Wilmington night life. The rooms are very nice and the walking showers are wonderful!!

Hotel is conveniently located near the local restaurants and about 30 minutes from the beaches. Rooms were clean and beds comfy. Breakfast was plentiful and hot. We will stay here whenever we visit our daughter in Leland.

This is by far one of the best hotels I have stayed in!! The staff was friendly and the rooms were very clean. We were in walking distance of everything!! We loved it so much we have already decided on another stay!!!

We first went to this hotel 5 years ago when we were buying a house in Leland and it was wonderful. We sold the house but returned a few days ago en route to FL to see some. friends. The hotel is immaculate and has been very well maintained - everything looks like a new hotel, AND the breakfast was amazing and safe during Covid - plastic gloves are required before going through the line. There was great variety including gluten free bread and options - i have celiac and there were many items I could eat safely.. Tamra does a great job, was friendly and breakfast was fun!

I had an unexpected business trip. I was to be in town same day and back out but unexpected issues arose leaving me to find a hotel that was affordable, yet pet friendly. I contacted Best Western Plus Westgate Inn & Suites in Leland, NC and was able to find the room I needed. Upon entry I found 2 very nice desk attendants. I was given a room that was very nice considering it was Pet Friendly. I am a pet owner and lets just agree that some pet owners are not responsible. The room was clean and Odor free. During my stay I encountered housekeeping, Breakfast room staff & different Desk attendants. They all were very helpful & courteous. Facility clean, pet friendly & wonderful staff. I would recommend to family & friends and If I am ever back in the area I would stay there. Overall rating Excellent. Thank you.

Overall excellent facility, very weak Wi-Fi on fifth floor. Superb hot breakfast, including fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, sausage or bacon. Breakfast staff friendly and very helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable.

The room was nice and cleaned. The staff was very friendly and helpful but when I got home the room was charged to my credit card and my friend paid for the room when was checked out so I called them she said since I was the one that booked the room my card was on file so they charge me too that don't make much sense to me.now I have to wait for a credit back.

Upon arrival we were greeted with a smile by the friendly person at the front desk. The room was clean and light. This hotel is close to all the places to visit in Wilmington and Leland. Enjoyable stay.

Hotel is very clean. Staff was friendly and professional. Full breakfast was on point…every day. The staff made sure to set up to acknowledge Covid awareness. Our stay was for a week and we had no complaints at all. This hotel did not disappoint.

Hotel was very clean and staff were super nice! Room served our needs and was quiet (never heard commotion in hallway at night). Breakfast was EXCELLENT and the staff preparing/serving breakfast were PHENOMENAL! They offered a wide variety of foods including several gluten free and dairy free options as well as several fresh fruit options…the best hotel breakfast we've had in a while! Pool/hot tub was nice & clean and it was awesome that the hotel provided pool towels! We'd definitely stay at this hotel again when traveling to the Wilmington area! This hotel has set the bar high!

I was very impressed by the comfort and cleanliness of the rooms, public areas and grounds. The Parking Lot was well lit and the location quite safe. The Breakfast was exceptional for a reasonably priced hotel. All Staff members that I met were friendly and helpful.

We stayed 5 nights and had no housekeeping. Clean towels were at the front desk each day, housekeeping was not available. Housekeepers were turning over and changing rooms everyday, but would not replace our towels.

I recently did some traveling around the country and stayed in multiple hotels. I had a couple of not so great stays and was praying that this location would be a good experience. Boy did this Best Western hit it out of the park. The staff was great, the rooms were very clean and breakfast looked great from what I could see. The beds were very comfortable! What more can you ask for, it was a great experience overall. I will definitely be returning to this BW.

iN this era of covid and uncertainty it was gratifying to visit and stay at such a hotel that was clean, comfortable, had all the services that we would need and a polite and knowledgeable staff. The location of the motel was perfect .

When we visit our grandchildren in Wilmington, we like to spend the night in a hotel nearby. The rooms at teh Best Western in Leland are clean, quite, comfortable and conveniently located. The staff is helpful and pleasant.

We have stayed in a lot of hotel chains that offer free breakfast, most are fairly decent. The Best Western in Leland, NC had one of the best breakfasts anywhere! Breakfast items changed daily, it was not just the same thing every day. The breakfast crew rocked! The hotel itself was very clean and the staff was very friendly.

Great Location, great staff and great amenities. We had a 2 day trip and the location was close to food and stores, easy access to highways and the staff was super accommodating. Breakfast is complimentary too! Love the pool and jacuzzi. Clean and safe and will always patronize the Best Western!

Room was very clean and quiet with a very nice coffee station. The bed was comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was superb with lots of variety. Easy check-in and check out. Parking lot was well lit.

This trip was for a vacation. Me and my partner stayed two nights and our experience was great! The room was very clean and had little to no issues. No signs of bed bugs or mold! Would definitely recommend staying here with your family or friends. In a very great location just 12 or so minutes from downtown Wilmington. The price of each night was far beyond worth the price. Will definitely be coming back next summer to stay!

Staff was amazing. It was clean, in a safe neighborhood, close to stores and restaurants. Some other hotels in nearby Wilmington were sketchy. This was safe, clean, comfortable. Definitely recommend!!

The room was very clean. large area to work and relax. Breakfast was great. Friendly staff. Dogs are welcome. Usually stay with Marriott but there are none in Leland. This was just as nice as any Marriott. I'll be back!!

I needed a place to stay on short notice. I was traveling with my dog so needed a pet friendly hotel. Luckily this Best Western had a vacancy with a pet friendly room available. The staff was pleasant and helpful upon check in and the room was very clean and nicely appointed. There was an area to walk my dog with an ample supply of waste bags and a trash receptacle. I will definitely stay here again!

We decided to make Leland our base as we traveled up and down the coast to see what we could see within two plus hours from Leland. We also had friends close by. Since we were here for 5 days it was great to have a suite with a sofa and single chair, plus coffee table and an end table. Lighting was good. Liked having a sink by microwave and frig. Room had a nice desk area as well. Very pleased with our beds and the shower. Slept well. GREAT hot breakfast each morning which was a real treat. Staff was very nice and professional at all times. The hotel has a pool and spa which was also a bonus. My only complaint is having young children in the pool after 9 or 10 pm. Also they do not belong in the spa. Feel pool and spa time should be for adults only after 9:00 pm. We adults could use a little down time without kids running, screaming and or splashing. Found it unnerving especially when I knew one family had been by the pool all day, more than one day. I feel like I'm easy going but this got pretty old fairly fast. Overall it was our best place to stay as by the time we arrived we had been on the road three weeks. Now we are trying to stay in more BW after such a great stay in Leland.

Charged for smoking in the room after I left without being notified. Had no opportunity to dispute the claims and so called evidence. Days later I was able to give the GM my only defense which was I didn't do what they say. Too late at that point.

Didn't receive any sleep because someone's dog barked all day and night. Staff did nothing to fix the situation. With the amount of money that I paid, I should have been accommodated for the services.

We took a short trip to visit our daughter & son-in-law. We stayed close in order to visit several times. The staff were great & welcomed us. The room was clean & we slept really good. Enjoyed the pool & had a great breakfast . The biscuits were a little tough. But we did enjoy our stay. We will go back.

All employees that I came into contact with during check-in, check-out and breakfast were very pleasant. The location of the hotel was around a lot of businesses and restaurants which is nice. The room was larger than expected and clean.

this room should be about $60 to be fair. loud dirty and not everything worked. i paid $350 thinking i was close to the beach WRONG still 25 min away. this hotel is 25 min from the beach so for this money and quality im 99% sure you can get a room on or within 5 min of the beach. i hope best western reads this review and attempts to make this right by me.

Visited the area to take a look at some home options. This hotel was recommended by the relator. This was my first time going to a hotel since COVID and I was VERY nervous. But I felt very comfortable with the COVID protocols in place. The hotel was very clean, the staff were friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable. I doubted that I was going to eat the "free" breakfast since it is self-serve, but they had extreme set-up (gloves and masks provided and required). The food was fresh and lots to choose from. I felt extremely safe with the COVID protocols in place; the staff were friendly and helpful. Exceptional experience!

For a chain this Inn was excellent. The room was immaculate, updated and so comfortable. There was a fridge and a keurig, a very nice breakfast each morning that changed to give multiple night guests variety and the breakfast room staff could not have been more efficient and helpful. Every staff member was polite and friendly, and the location is near anything you might need while traveling. This will be our "go-to" when visiting in the area.

This BW Hotel stay was absolutely wonderful. Our daughter was scheduled for minor surgery early on Friday morning so we needed a hotel close by the medical facility on Thursday evening. Everything was clean and quiet which helped us feel relaxed prior to the appointment. All of the staff whom we dealt with were courteous, helpful, and pleasant. The breakfast was well prepared and very tasty. There were numerous food choices as well. This is our second stay here (once before and once after COVID) and we highly recommend this BW to anyone who needs lodging in this vicinity.

Thought we had perhaps made a mistake when we noticed construction going on, but never heard a thing. Room was nice. Staff friendly. Breakfast was good. Would stay here again if in area. Did not use pool on this visit.

After a rough start and getting bad service in Fort Bragg we came here, and it was the best decision ever. Very clean, friendly staff, and we stayed on the 5th floor and it was very quiet. Like all other places they are short staffed but you wouldn't really know it for how good they are. Would definitely stay here again.. Plus It's close to multiple beaches.

I felt safe staying here alone as a woman. Enjoyed the hot breakfast bar provided while abiding by social distancing recommendations. Staff were very nice and helpful, they made my stay easy and enjoyable.

This hotel is not taking extra precautions with cleaning as they state about COVID cleanliness. The hotel smells like animals, stained carpets. Hair in the bathroom. No hot water. Stains on curtains and lamp shades. The hotel is not what it used to be. Very disappointed.

Extremely accommodating, only place I've seen vacuum marks on the furniture. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. 10/10 would stay here again. Price and location was absolutely perfect! And that breakfast! Wow

Staff was exceptional during my stay with my wife and 2 children 10 and 12. They had hot breakfast which staff served and a good variety of food. The pool was open outside and we were able to enjoy it without worrying about COVID. We enjoyed the first night so much that we stayed another night. This was over easter weekend and they made it a great weekend.

This is my favorite Best Western hotel I have ever stayed at. The staff are over all very friendly. Hotel is always clean. The location is perfect if you want to stay away from the busy beach, but still want to enjoy it.

After our move to South Carolina, we still had all of our medical offices in the Leland NC area, so my wife tried to schedule as many appointments as possible for a short stay back in Leland. Due to the current state of COVID, we didn't want to stay at any friends houses, so chose Best Western as I was familiar with it and it was a bit less expensive than the Holiday Inn Express across the street. And due to COVID, there were few amenities available and we didn't partake of the amenities offered (although the breakfast buffet looked very good) as we had other plans for the morning.

Great Stay, Very clean, well appointed, and quite rooms rooms. Staff was super helpful and friendly. Breakfast was by far the best comp breakfast at any hotel I have ever stayed, Have stayed 50 to 80 nights per year at hotels of all economic classes all over the world for may years. Great dollar value for the overall quality of our stay, Would highly recommend if in the area.

Great place to stay for the cost. Friendly and helpful staff. Served a hot breakfast during this pandemic with many precautions. This made a big difference in our selection to stay here and we will definitely stay here again in the coming months while our house is being built.

For the weary traveler, nothing beats Best Western Plus. The room and facilities were awesome. And better yet, the hotel staff was very responsive and outgoing. The breakfast was really good as well as their precautions against COVID. Dog friendly environment too !! Bring your pooch !!

Last March when COVID lockdown started, we were to attend a wedding that was cancelled. I called the hotel ten days before our reservation and cancelled the two rooms I had booked through RCI. When RCI called the hotel to confirm my refund the hotel denied it saying I was a "no show." I've called the hotel and talked to the manager who said, "Ok, we will allow this refund." RCI however says they keep refusing to release the funds. Something very shady about the management here and when I called Best Western corporate they said it wasn't their responsibility!

From the staff to the property, I can't say enough. The breakfast is one for the record books. Although, Covid has made traveling a little tricky - the staff at Best Western Plus Leland went above an beyond to ensure we had a please stay.

Starting with the reservationist, who was very accommodating. The hotel was so clean and neat. Check-in was a breeze. The room was wonderful. Breakfast was excellent, and the entire staff was friendly, helpful and respectful.

We spent 4 nights here while choosing items for our new house at the Logan Design Center across the street. The hotel must be fairly new, as furnishings in the rooms and lobby were pristine. Joshua at the front desk went above and beyond helping us. The housekeeping did a great job and the personnel working breakfast were super friendly. The breakfast choices were vast. They change the menu each day, but always have fresh scrambled eggs and either bacon or sausage. They have a person make your plate up, so you can still enjoy a buffet while still meeting the covid rules. We will stay hear again when int he area.

Pete at front desk very helpful and kind. Lynn in housekeeping was a God send. She went over and above with not only work, but after she got off work she went to get me something to eat. I was just released from hospital and couldn't drive. How thoughtful!!

We just made a major move. We have stayed in hotels, with relatives and at Airbnb. Our stay at the Best Western was the best stay of all. The people were very nice and very accommodating. The lady who checked us in was so nice and went out of her way to help us. I would recommend staying here to anyone.

The friendliest staff I have seen for a long time. They are still offering a full hot breakfast by having an attendant serve you the hot foods, which were excellent. Cold foods were self-service. Every other hotel we stayed at on this trip that used to offer a full hot breakfast iss now handing out brown bags with a small sweet roll, some kind of mini breakfast bar, an apple, etc. We had to stop at a restaurant to get a meal, adding to the usual cost of a hotel stay. Highly reccomend this hotel.

High quality Best Western. Very clean, to the point that I felt extremely safe staying there. COVID measures enforced! Every staff member we encountered was polite and helpful, going above their job description to make sure we had everything we needed. Room was nice, standard room, had a good nights sleep. Breakfast above and beyond. Hot and cold items, delicious. Already recommended to others.

Really unexpected jewel of a hotel. Traveling through Wilmington for a quick visit. Hotel was excellent in Heath safe and room was very comfortable for two night stay. Great staff and.very good breakfast.

We have family in the area, and we would bounce back and forth between Best Western and Holiday Inn. But, the past few years, we have decided we enjoy the Best Western, so we stay here 100% of the time. The staff is great, the Breakfast Buffet is great, the rooms are great, and we like that each room has a DVR, so we can record shows.

I stayed at Best Western for 3 weeks during my travel nurse assignment in Wilmington, NC. The place was exceptional clean, hot breakfast every morning with a quiet environment. The staff was courteous and helpful. I would definitely recommend it to anyone on extended travel assignment.

I have always enjoyed my stay at this particular hotel. The service and staff are wonderful and are always very friendly. The rooms have always been very clean and comfortable. In addition, they are located in an area where there are many restaurants to select from and within walking distance to a variety of different stores.

We recently had reason to stay at this Best Western Plus to assist family who had moved to the area. Despite the Covid restrictions of the period, we had a comfortable stay. The staff at Reception were welcoming and helpful both upon registration and check-out. Also, the ladies working the Breakfast area were delightfully helpful. We would definitely recommend this location.

Me and my parents stayed her back at the end of August (lol just now getting to this review). We had a terrible check in experience right across the street at the Holiday Inn Express and we absolutely could not stay there two nights. We canceled our reservation and drove across no reservation to this place and they were so wonderful. Got us in, in a good room at a good rate. The hotel was great for the price. And hands down the best part was the complimentary full breakfast each morning. The breakfast team was amazing. They were so friendly and accommodating. I would have given this 5 stars but the only thing that was not tasteful was the creepy men who hand out in the parking lot late into the night. Some guy asked us if we had a lighter when we were grabbing something from our car and we kindly replied with no. Then he answered a phone call and said "Oh well I just asked these pricks if they had a lighter and of course they dont" And then continued to stare at us until we left the parking lot. It was a little frightening for sure when you are in an area you don't know and someone is acting that way. We of course let the night audit know and she was very friendly and apologetic about that and said we should not be harassed in the parking lot, but there is really only so much you could do. Other then that we had a great stay!

It used to be a common benchmark of cleanliness that your room unless you specified not to be bothered would have the towels changed, the trash picked up and the bed made. If you don't announce and specify that your bed must be made daily and towels changed and trash picked up then it won;t be done. If oyu put a tag on your door that says make it up now--- trash and towels only. The bed will be a mess when you come back--untouched. Their excuse is covid. That's bu**S**t ! If the towels and trash don't give the staff covid then the bed won't matter. Other aspects of the hotel were great. The staff was willing to help and the breakfast help was wonderful where they helped serve you during the "Crises". A lot of contractors stay here but we are just staying here while we were moving in to a new home in the area. People usually don't complain about dumb things that management of a hotel decides to do. The purpose here is to educate future guests on how to tell them what you need and expect.

Death not refundable? Tragic - Father died during our family reunion! I stayed 1 night in this hotel, daughter 2nd and I was to stay 3rd to promote social distancing at reunion. Father took tragic turn during reunion 2nd night and died in hospital. Called hotel said wasn't coming as didn't want to infect hotel Didn't cancel reservation and will only issue $100 refund with death certificate ! I am not power of atty and can't get this. This is small town and family lives in next neighborhood. Corporate was powerless but said this was worst they ever hear of from a franchise.

We were in town for 3 nights. The common areas of the hotel were well kept and clean. The breakfast was better than expected. The ladies doing the serving were well organized, helpful and friendly. The staff at the desk were friendly and helpful. The room was just okay. The floor was not well vacummed (lint balls remained). One light over the bed was burnt out. The refrigerator froze liquids regardless of the settings. The toilet tank malfunctioned and would not fill. (maintainence repaired this). Carpet in the hallway had what looked like a large beach stain. All in all not terrible but not up to high standards. The room could definitely use a refreshing.

This hotel was chosen for family members visiting us. Some family members require more privacy while visiting relatives and this was a good choice and excellent experience for them. They could enjoy time with us, but retire to their hotel room(s) for quiet time.

Chris at Guest Services helped me plan the perfect getaway. I was unfamiliar with Carolina Beach and Chris went the extra mile for me. Made me feel like I was the only customer when in reality the place was packed at high season! Best Western has really upped their game. Can't wait to go back.

I'm not a big fan of frequenting hotels. I'm a little bit of a germophobic I guess. But last week I had a death in the family and had no choice but to seek a room for a couple of nights. I was blown away right when I entered the lobby. The entrance approaching the lobby was spotless. Not a piece of trash or cigarette butt in sight. I asked if the hotel was new and was shocked to hear it was over 10 years old. The desk staff was very polite and prompt. My room was spotless as well. I was impressed with its cleanliness and commodities like a keurig machine. The pool looked inviting and decorated nicely but my biggest compliment goes towards the breakfast buffet and the staff. Make it yourself waffles, yogurt, scrambled eggs and bacon, egg burritos, cereal bar, bagels, etc, you name it, they had it... and the employee's that were serving made you feel at home. This was by far the nicest, cleanest and overall best hotel that I've stayed at in years. Well done Best Western,,,,

I don't even know where to start. The hotel is conveniently located near several little malls in Leland, NC. I was visiting a friend in Wilmington and I thought this location would have been cheaper and quieter. Boy was I wrong! At $105+ a night, the Best Western Plus Westgate Inn & Suites is simply an insult. This hotel should not cost more than $70/night. It is in desperate need for renovations. It makes you feel like you're in a dormitory or a YMCA in NYC. You can smell mold and food throughout the entire hotel. I had to change room after the first night (I booked three unfortunately) because of the smell of mold and the leaking noise of the air conditioning. Talking about “leaking”...the ice machines in each floor have holes underneath them, where the excessive water leaks, and you can see it clearly looking at the machine, with yellowish/green mold in the opening. That alone is absolutely unacceptable. The furnitures in the room are cheap and very old. You will feel like time stood still at this hotel, since the 1990s. I changed the room early in the morning after a sleepless night. I had to work remotely during my stay so between moving and one thing and another (I had to clock in at 8:30) I didn't have the chance to have breakfast (although I realized later on I didn't miss much, between the variety and unhealthy choices and the insane line of people waiting). Back to working remotely: I could not connect to my office server for the entire stay. The internet was extremely slow and kept working on and off. The manager Jennifer got me on the phone with a tech from a third party company (who wanted all the information on my computer IP address etc, that did not make me feel comfortable). We ran tests fir hours. The very best speed I was getting on both laptop and iPhone 7 was 8-10 mbps in downloading speed and 4-5 in uploading. And the manager kept saying that was a very good speed! Uh in NY with Spectrum I get 50-60 mbps on average with peaks at 100. I had to connect my laptop to the server at my office using the hotspot on my iPhone and using T-Mobile data. The resolution offered by the manager Jennifer was to give me a $10/day discount, which I frankly found insulting. The cleanliness was let's just say questionable. I found several crumbs on the armchair and stains on the couch. Especially during these times with a world pandemic going on, you want to see your hotel room spotless. The two I have seen were certainly not. The room keys also never worked, they had to reset them 5 times in three days. I was on the 5th floor and I had to make trips back and forth every time I left the hotel basically to reset my keys. Finally, the TV connection was also troubling. I had to reboot Direct TV three times in two days and once I had to completely unplug the entire TV receiver and TV. By far the worst hotel I have stayed in 15+ years and I have always traveled on a budget of $100-120/night maximum and I have stayed in Ramadas, Super 8, and Inns. The only worse experience I can think other than the Best Western Plus Westgate Inn & Suites would be a NYC YMCA, but that is a hostel and it was 15 years ago.

We went to every floor looking at the vending machines trying to find a Sprite for my granddaughter and they were all out. One of the staff saw we were looking for one and on her lunch hour she went out and bought a Sprite and brought it to our room for my granddaughter. I wish I had got her name to let her manager know. All the staff was very friendly. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was good. Would definitely stay again.

We stayed here over Father's Day weekend. We spent Saturday at Sunset Beach and then traveled to Leland to spend the night. From the moment we entered the lobby until we checked out, all of the staff were courteous and accommodating.

Pleasant experience all the way around. Rooms are very clean —- and the staff accommodating, considering limited amenities thanks to COVID-19. Lobby clearly marked for social distancing and lobby bathroom also spotless. Extremely comfortable bed.

Great decor and clean w/receptive and pleasant front staff. Easy to access and get to my room and checkout was the same. The front desk was attentive to all my needs and every time I came in or went out was always checking to see if they could do anything for me.

I stayed for six nights and I must say it felt like I was at home and with family. The hotel absolutely throughly clean, the bed made for sweet dreams. The buffet breakfast of both hot and cold foods was totally satisfying and filling. The staff especially Joshua at the front desk was so accommodating of my needs. Eleanor in the breakfast area was very helpful with information regarding the breakfast offerings.

We were greeted at the door with smiles and they continued for the entire stay. Rooms were clean and comfortable. I would definitely return here. We had our dog (Dixie) with us and they seemed glad to have her. They have a nice area to walk her and provided the bags & trash can at the walking site.

Folks..If you are visiting the Wilmington Area stay at Best Western in Leland, SC. Beautiful property, welcoming staff and the breakfast is like none I have ever experienced. Have to be the best I have ever had. The breakfast hostess's (yes, more than one) are wonderful and exhibit true Southern Hospitality. Every time we visit family in Wilmington we stay at Leland Best Western, Close to everything from just out a bit from the busy area. Many restaurants, gas stations and shopping very close. I travel ALOT and this place is awesome.

2nd year stopping in Wilmington NC. on our way south. This is a great place to stop. Local attractions include the Cotton Mill for 3 floors of great shopping. When the shopping is over go to The Front Street Brewery. Evening over, back to clean newer motel with a very good breakfast bar.

Very clean. Awesome breakfast. Bed and pillows were super comfortable. Highly recommend this place. Staff were super friendly and very accommodating. When checking in I thought the hotel was brand new but came to find out it was 11 years old but you could not tell it was not new.

We only stayed one night but it could not have been any better!! From the desk personnel to the wonderful ladies tending the VERY nice buffet breakfast it was all great!! The little wine bar with sandwiches and salads was a plus. Only one suggestion comes to mind and that would be for them to offer a free shuttle to the airport which is 11 miles north.

We have stayed here 3 times recently while house-hunting. The hotel is attractive and clean. Our king mini-suite was very spacious and comfortable. Very good breakfast that varied by day. All staff were remarkably friendly and helpful. The only thing I'd change (and it is very minor) is that the bar and snack area is cash only -- billing to a room or using a credit card would be a nice convenience.

The room was clean. The staff is excellent, very attentive, they left a welcome note for when we checked in. The breakfast is excellent, hot food not just pastry and cereal. Restaurants in area are newer. Walmart right next door.

Our stay at this Best Western exceeded our expectations. It is the 2nd time that we have stayed at this particular hotel and will stay here again. We have family that live in the Leland NC area and it is in a very safe and convenient location. Our experience was great from making our hotel reservations to the checkin process to the cleanliness of the sleeping rooms to the great breakfast offered in the morning. We would highly recommend this hotel.

My wife and I are building a new home in the Leland, NC area and have found it necessary to meet with our contractor on several occasions. We tried other hotels in the area, but have found Best Western Plus Westgate to be the greater value compared to competition. We would highly recommend this facility.

This Best Western is situated between a location I am looking to move to and Wilmington. Easily accessable offers great continental breakfast. Front desk very helpful and friendly. Fitness center small but OK because no one used it but us.

Everything was great at this hotel. First the checkin was very fast and all the amenities were explained to us. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was very good and the ladies were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

My wife and I and our service pet stayed over one night we were greeted with excellent and courteous staff the accommodations were excellent the food was excellent we felt very much at home there including our dog I highly recommend this hotel for anyone staying in that area.

I had a pleasant stay at Best Western on a business trip. I had a king room that was good. The breakfast bar was excellent and the food was very tasteful. The atmosphere was good. The facility was very clean. The staff and front desk was very friendly and accommodating. I enjoyed my stay.

I was very pleased with accommodation My room was very clean . i was able to re energize without having any problems I plan yo visit again in the near future. My overall experience was excellent. I was able to check in early which gave me more time to relax.

My wife and I were in Wilmington working and staying at another pet friendly hotel by best Western and we moved to this location. Unreal the difference Pet friendly rooms are spotless no stain carpet no smell rooms and they welcome your pet. Really caring front desk staff and want you to feel at home. My wife ended up getting sick and needed some care and they were like family recommend a place to get her seen. Breakfast was unreal for a hotel really great staff that made you feel welcome Fresh scrambled eggs a hash brown casserole to die for fresh bacon and all the fixings. A great place to stay and feel at home

For a “near the beach” location, I was pleasantly surprised. The public areas were lively and clean. The room was spotless. The staff was friendly and professional. There was great water pressure and plenty of hot water in the shower. I highly recommend it!

Best western has an overall clean and wholesome environment. Very spacious rooms for single or double beds. I ha e recommended to family and would recommend again to anyone who travles alot or for holidays. Decorations made it feel welcoming and hospitable along with the helpful staff at front desk and kitchen/breakfast area. Very affordable and cant say enough how overall clean and comfortable it was!

Anytime we travel to Wilmington/Leland we stay in this hotel. It is a very quiet stay. The service is amazing and the facilities are exceptionally clean. The breakfast is good and we have never had the same food two days in a row which is nice.

The best western hotel is the only hotel I would ever stay in it has all the amenities you need. I don't know the staff is great and goes out of there way to accommodate you. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

Very clean hotel. Staff was very attentive. The complimentary breakfast is top notch. The only issue we had was the in room hair dryer didn't work. They supplied a new dryer within five minutes of calling the front desk.

The hotel and grounds are very clean and safe! The staff are very cordial . This Best Western is near the City of Wilmington, University of North Carolina at Wilmington, and several Beaches. If you are traveling South, Myrtle Beach is about 40 miles away. A Great location!

This is one of the best places I have ever stayed in. Called in for a same day reservation and he was very nice and helpful. Walked in and was greeted with a big smile. The next morning went down for breakfast and was greeted again with a big smile. Had a wonderful experience here and would definitely return here. Keep up with the great service guys.

We were in Leland to finalize our new house selections, because we are moving to Compass Pointe. The Best Western is centrally located and is always clean, has a nice welcoming feel with a fireplace, bar and lots of lights. The breakfast is great and offers lots of choices. There is laundry on site as well as snack machines. We stay here everytime we have come to Leland.

We started out stay being greeted by friendly and helpful front desk staff, all of whom, over our 3 day stay, were so pleasant. The lobby and room were very nicely decorated and kept. The complimentary breakfast was beyond expectations and offered variety daily.

Anniversary weekend for my wife and I. Hotel made it the Most amazing stay I have ever stayed at. Hospitality was superb and customer service was fantastic. That breakfast is to die for. The hotel was the most comfortable setting and atmosphere that the sleep was wonderful.

Our stay here was very enjoyable. The staff was friendly & helpful. They even brought an extra blanket up to our room. The room & bathroom was immaculate. The beds are a little hard for my tastes but I slept well. The Directv was a nice touch. The breakfast is amazing... Eggs, bacon, potatoes, waffles, cereal, toast, muffins, bagels, yogurt, fresh fruit, 3 kinds of juice, coffee, tea, hot cocoa, etc. The ladies who run the breakfast area are super nice & helpful. This will be my go to place while in the area.

Over the past several years we have tried several different hotels in Wilmington, NC. But now we have settled on Best Western because of the value, services and breakfast bar. The front desk is always staffed and extremely helpful, the room is clean and the breakfast bar is one of the best.

Wilmington was great in October. best western gave us a place to stay and play with the grandkids in the pool . breakfast was very good the service was exceptional dana and Eleanor did a superior job at making us feel at home

Great location with a connecting parking lot to local fast food and Applebee's. There is free Wi-Fi. They have a free breakfast that offers everything from yogurt and fruit too eggs and bacon, etc. Friendly staff. Nice pool located next to the bar.

Business requires frequent travel over 200 days per year ,depending on location and vacancies I may stay in several different hotels throughout the year , some better than others . Best Western Plus Westgate rates in the top ten .

Everyone was nice and asked if there was anything they could do for me. All had friendly greetings any time I past by them. Made me feel comfortable staying there. Made sure I was aware of all of the amenities. Good breakfast. Nice lobby area.

Very clean and comfortable. Walk-in shower was great. tons of stores and restaurants near by. It was a anniversary weekend for my wife and I. I also did a 5k near bye. I should of gone sooner if I knew it was was such a nice place to stay,

CLC check in and check out process is contradictory to other Best Westerns I use for work. The additional charges that are temporarily placed on my personal credit card are confusing. Initially told that it was in the event I did not show. Then I was told they were for incidentals, not sure what they may be for as there is no room service at this facility I am aware of. I was also told it was to offset any cleaning do to smoking or vaping or damages I may do to the room.

Hotel appearance amenities and services far exceeded our expectations. We have stayed here over the past 2 years while house hunting in the area. We closed on our home this last trip and we will miss our Best Western Family.

Very pretty motel with "dog-friendly" rooms in 1 hallway & big area for dogs to do their business. Professional, and personable staff. Outdoor pool open from 7a-11p. Delicious breakfast that changed a little every morning. We couldn't find Sunday NFL on the TV. The $30 per night pet fee is higher than I ever plan to pay again. The quote I was emailed when I made the reservation didn't mention a pet fee. Our 15#, short-haired dog gave them no reason to do any special cleaning or maintenance.

I would recommend Best Western Plus to all. It has been a while sence we have stayed in a Best Western. They are now high on our list and will be looking for places to stay in the future.Based on this stay, you can not go wrong by booking into this hotel. Great on service and your pocketbook.

We were suppose to stay at a freinds place in Holden Beach but we were unable to get in and had to drive to Best Western to get a room one night. The hotel was rep was very helpful, and we were able to get confirmation right away for a room with King bed.

We stayed at the Best Western Plus Westgate Inn & Suites in Leland while visiting Brunswick Forest. The location was perfect, being about a mile up the road. The hotel itself was great. The rooms were spacious and clean. The layout was thoughtful with a sink and fridge outside the bathroom. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The staff was all extremely welcoming and friendly, and the included breakfast was better than most. We would definitely stay there again when we visit Leland in the future.

I spend 6-10 days a month on the road and most of our employees are on the road 16-20 days a month. With that being said, we have mostly used Choice hotels and Holiday Inn Express. After staying at BWP in Leland NC, I won't be staying at any other Hotel when I'm in the area. From now on I'll be looking closer at other BWP establishments and will encourage our other team members to do the same. Stayed for a week due to hurricane conditions in Florida With the hurricane traveling north to the Carolina coast they started price gouging for rooms Was told by front desk prices always go up on weekends Tomorrow is Wednesday ( we wanted to stay 2 extra days, till Dorian passed, but didn't expect to get the feeling, a gun was put to my back). We booked another hotel further inland for almost half of what this hotel wanted .

Great and lovely atmosphere. Awesome staff and amenities. Even better bar with good pricing. They do great work to keep us happy. My family member Curtis works there. He does a great job as well keeping common areas clean and neat!

This is definitely where you are going to wanna stay!! The staff where very friendly and polite. The ladies who take care of breakfast every morning are amazing and friendly. Y'all they have a real breakfast. They serve real eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, toast, bagless, yogurt, fresh fruit ( there's more)... The rooms are comfy and clean. Whole hotel is kept clean as well. We loved the hot tub, and the pool. We will definitely be back!!!!

This was the first time we've stayed at a Best Western in recent memory and were extremely pleased with the experience. The exterior is welcoming, very well planted and maintained. Our room and common areas were spotless and simply decorated (no ridiculous colors and patterns). Staff was very friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable, the shower had good pressure, the free internet was fast, and the included buffet breakfast was above average in quality and delicious. A good price rounded out the reasons for future stays.

Pros: Room was very clean upon arrival. Breakfast was better than average, juice & coffee available all day. Kitchenette with sink, microwave, fridge, and storage cupboards. Cons: Our room was not cleaned until 6pm the next day (inconvenient when returning from a day at the beach to no clean towels). WiFi kept going out.

This hotel was on top of their customer service, from the booking phone call, to check out I felt like a valued customer. I will always stay here when near this location. Breakfast had an overwhelming amount of options and it was delicious. I wish I had that breakfast bar every single morning.

I travel to this area on business 5 or 6 times per year. The hotel is in a great location. It's very quiet, clean, and comfortable. The staff goes out of their way to see that your stay is everything you wish. Their service is excellent and they are all extremely personable, courteous, and helpful. They also honor the State Gov't. rate during my stays. I highly recommend this hotel and their great staff to you.

Great motel, but was a little pricey for my taste, especially since it wasn't on the beach. Motel had great service and breakfast was good, but could have a few more choices like bacon If nothing else was available I would stay.

DISTRICT MANAGER ZACK would not HONOR the GOVERNMENT/MILITARY RATE even after I showed him what it said on line at BW GOVT/MILITARY room check in for a definition. Instead of $94.00 a night it cost $308.05 with tax for 2 nights. Also DIAMOND SELECT MEMBER at BW. Gave me the option to cancel but where was I to go at 3pm Sunday afternoon with only one other hotel in Leland, NC. The guy was a real jerk, never in 40 years have I been asked for orders at any hotel just an ID card. I did raise a stink at checkout when I tried once again to show district manager what Best Western said on line for Govt/Military requirements/definition and rate requirement, nothing mentioned about orders, but district manager Zack said these were HIS RULES for all his hotels and he didn't have to go by what BW had on line. Other than all this fiasco THE HOTEL WAS FINE BUT NOT GREAT BY ANY MEANS. THEY claim TO HAVE A BAR IN EVENING, WHAT A JOKE THAT IS. MOST PEOPLE WERE NICE. BASED ON WHAT I AND MY WIFE HAD TO EXPERIENCE I WOULD NOT STAY HERE AGAIN. I have called CORPERATE CUSTOMER SERVICE and filed a complaint.

The hotel was clean and we did not have any issues.; The staff was friendly and helpful, they answered and gave great directions to the places we needed to go. We did not use the pool area, it looked clean. The layout of the breakfast bar was not customer friendly, you were stepping over, around or under someone all the time to get what you needed Other than that one small issue it was a good place to spend the night.

Great place to stay you don't mind not being right on the beach. We actually came down for my daughter's softball tournament. The staff was very friendly and checking in and out was a breeze. The room was comfortable and clean. And we slept comfortably. The complementary breakfast was good too, and the food offered didn't look like an afterthought. I would definitely stay again just for leisure.

The hotel was pet friendly however I wasn't permitted to leave the dog in the room alone. The breakfast was fabulous and the staff was friendly. I was able to check in about 1 hour early which was great. There was a printer problem when I checked in, which took longer than usual, but the manager compensated me with 2 drink tickets. Overall I would totally recommend this hotel.

Visiting family in Leland, NC and this hotel was a great location! Close to Wilmington and the beach wasn't too far, plus convenient to Walmart and Lowes Foods (great bakery!) The breakfast bar was good and the selection changed every morning which was nice. Our room was very clean and the hotel staff were friendly and helpful for places for eat and directions. I would recommend this hotel when staying in Leland and the next time we are in NC visiting family we will be sure to stay here.

From the greeting upon checking in, to the spaceous clean room, Starbucks coffee pods in the room, breakfast area, and staff are FIRST CLASS!! We will be staying there many many more times! The manager, Tomeka, goes out of her way to make you feel at home!

This hotel was super. Staff was the friendliest and most helpful I've ever encountered -- whether early in the morning or late at night. And real eggs for breakfast?! Unheard of in the hotels I've stayed in.

Overpriced. First thing you see when you check in is the filthy stained carpet behind the desk. I called ahead, paid upfront. Went in the room, spent less than 15 minutes checking it out, it was hot even though the AC was on full blast. No exhaust fan in bathroom. Beds are short. And the room, hallway, and elevator had a stale smell. The only good thing was the nice girl Kelly at the desk who tried to refund me, but the manager Taimeka told her no. I checked out anyways after only being there in the room for less than 15 minutes. Got a better and bigger room at the Holiday Inn for less. Now I have to make calls to try to get my refund. This is what you call bad business practice. The manager does not give a damn about customer satisfaction.

Great breakfast and very quiet. Large mini suite. The bed was average and mattress was not as firm as I like. Check in was outstanding. Joshua was so helpful and making check in effortless. Cheerful staff .

We had an extra day after a work conference in Wrightsville so decided to spend it in Wilmington down on the riverfront. We chose this hotel because it's only a few miles away and a few dollars in savings. This was by far the cleanest hotel we've ever stayed in. There were no odors anywhere including from the AC. The entire room was spotless including the bathroom which looked brand new. It was well stocked and roomy. The bed was comfortable and the decor pleasant. There is a microwave and fridge and large screen TV. The Wi-Fi was an easy connect and we loved the comfy chair and ottoman to sit in which watching the television. The staff was extremely courteous and friendly including the manager Tamika who gave us an extra 5 percent off the rate earlier when I booked the room because I mentioned she should take her time in training her new employee. There was always more than one employee at the front desk to offer assistance and everyone was professional. The breakfast buffet was amazing with everything from waffles to grits and eggs and bacon. There were yogurt parfaits and various cereals as well as bagels. The seating area was spacious and clean and the staff attentive. There is also a Cafe that's open later in the day. There are nearby shops if you need anything including a Walmart. The parking is near the front entrance and well lighted. Check in was easy and they even allowed us to check in at 1:15 which is earlier than early check in. Our stay was wonderful and I have never reviewed a hotel before but since I do read reviews myself I felt it was important to share our experience with others. We would absolutely stay here again if in the area. With the exception of a few 5 star upscale hotels we've had the opportunity to stay in over the years this Best Western in Leland NC was truly the best. We will be back for sure. Stay here at this Best Western in Leland. You won't be disappointed!

I like this property alot my problem is with the rewards system i NEVER received my points and I've been going there for the past six years and i can never get an answer why and i would like to see more options at breakfast all the meats are pork

Great stay. Buffet breakfast was wonderful and the bed super comfortable. The person that prepared my room, Gracie, left a very nice note which was appreciated after a long day of work. Looking forward to staying again. Walkable yo Walmart and many places to eat!

Real eggs for breakfast. Coffee and juice in lobby 24/7. Very clean place. Smelled new & nice! Very kind staff. Nice pool & hot tub. More money per night than what we usually pay. That was the only down side for us.

Hotel was very clean. Staff friendly and accommodating. The free breakfast was very good. My daughter recently moved to Wilmington and rented an apartment in Leland so we will definitely stay here again.

The hotel is approximately 15 minutes to Wilmington International Airport and located right on US 17 North. Front Desk Clerk was very accommodating and pleasant. He worked hard to get us what we needed. The room was first floor, very clean and decorated tastefully. Amenities were not used this trip but they had an exterior pool, nice bar area and I am told a fabulous fresh cooked breakfast. Unfortunately, we had a 6:12 a.m. flight out and couldn't participate. But I recommend this hotel highly.

I travel to Wilmington often for work. I have stayed at this property multiple times as well as the Holiday Inn Express near here. This is the best value for the money. Close to great food and shopping, this is a great location. Ben, at the front desk is very professional, attentive, accommodating and pleasant. My room was immaculate thanks to Juanita. I rarely rate a hotel at a five but this rating is truly deserved. Stay here. I'll be back.

The manager on duty on 3/10/19 at 2:00p was working by herself. She was attending to a large party in their Board Room and a resident at the same time. She said she would be right with me. I explained that my husband was not feeling well and we were not going to be able to make it home. She immediately got us a room and within minutes, i was able to get my husband comfortable. She was an Angel to me and my family!

This Best western is a really pleasant place. We stay here whenever we are in the area. Friendly staff, nice rooms. Breakfast staff is eager to please. Comfortable beds, very clean. It's also a good location, close to Wilmington. There could be a few more decent restaurants in the area but that's not the fault of BW

After 10 hours of driving, we needed a rest stop. Staff were welcoming, made suggestions for late night eating. Shower had great pressure and high fixture. Breakfast was healthful and had good variety. Then continued on our drive rested. Thanks BW.

Everything about this hotel was AWESOME!!!! The staff and owner was the sweetest. Front desk clerk Janisa and Ben. The cook Donna was Great abs the food was good, the room was nice,clean, and cozy. I will refer this hotel to everyone.

The room is nice , pleanty of space for 2-3 people. There is a king size bed, a sitting chair with Ottoman, desk with a chair. The bathroom is spacious as well. The hotel was well lit and quite. Great location with shops , restaurants and of course a Wal-mart. Close to major road but you don't hear the vehicles.

We had to stay one more night in N.C. because of a flight cancellation, but found this hotel to be great and not that far from the airport(About 18 minutes away). The room was confortable and spacious enough to walk around with ease. A lot of restaurants to choose from in the area around the hotel and free breakfast starting at 6AM in the morning.

I had my room with my Golden Retriver for 5 days and then had to extend the stay by one day. Jason the gentleman at the front desk went I felt above his job by calling the next person who was coming to check into the room I was staying into verify that they really needed a pet friendly king size room which they did not which meant I did not have to check out of my room and recheck In for one ninghty ti finish my stay.

The staff was pleasant and helpful without being smarmy. The property seems new and clean and inviting. The room was spacious and well-appointed. I especially appreciated having an upholstered bench at the end of the king sized bed. It's such a handy thing for luggage and miscellany.

We travel A LOT. The staff here were over the top friendly and ready to jump to get you anything you may not even know you needed! Every staff member stopped what they were doing to say hello, they smiled asked about our stay. The grounds, lobby and our room were all spotless while warm and inviting.

I only stayed one night, I was in town for work. The front desk staff was nice, professional and efficient. The room was clean, neat, and well laid out to reduce the light bleeding in from the hallway.

This hotel is nicely situated around alot of shopping, and close enough to Wilmington and the beaches, but without most of the traffic. They keep the rooms clean and well maintained. The staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast is awesome, and the complimentary wifi is at decent speeds.

We needed to stay at this BW for a week, because Florence ruined our oak floors and we could not be in the house while the floors were being refinished. So, after a week we can say with assurance that this is a very good motel, well maintained, clean, attractive and very well staffed. The mini-suite room gave us the space we needed and the maid service was very good too. All staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was also well done, with real eggs and a better daily variety of food than found in most places. The ladies setting up the breakfast were great. Finally, the daily rate was very reasonable, especially given the quality of the place and the great staff.

I've stayed at the Westgate Best Western a number of times. The service and hospitality has been excellent and consistent. I'm a long term Marriott guy, so this is a new experience with Best Western. I will say that I'm very satisfied with my experience with BW. The breakfast is good, coffee is always available and the rooms are very nice.

This was my second stay at this property and my wife and I expect to visit there again this month. The front desk personnel are terrific. When i called both times they were very nice, friendly and helpful, wanting to give you the type of room you are seeking.Two of the front desk ladies were Tamika and Jackie, ( i believe her name was Jackie and she was expecting a son in mid January and ( we wish her and her family a beautiful and healthy baby that will be a blessing to all). The amenities are very nice and the breakfast very good.The rooms are large and decorated very well. They have a comment card for you to fill out and return to property. So, if you want a nice and comfortable stay in Leland, this is the place to stay. Great place to stay so enjoy and relax and have a great stay. I am sur you will enjoy your stay.

I have had many different rooms at many different locations, but the Best Western Westgate is by far one of the top places to stay. The staff is awesome everything about the place is fantastic and it's just a great place to stay.

My husband I stopped at this hotel after driving 14 hours from Texas. It is a beautiful hotel with extremely friendly staff (Katie and Joshua). The breakfast selection was the best I have ever seen in my business travels each quarter. We will definitely be returning to this hotel on our return trip.

My wife and I stayed here for one night and very very impressed. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and accommodating. The room was very clean and well maintained. We had a nice comfortable bed which provided a great night's rest away from home. Breakfast in the morning was excellent. They go above and beyond to put on a spread which not many other hotels of this caliber do. Would stay here again!

Very nice place.I had a clogged sink and they fixed it within 30 min. Also the Hotel is in a nice safe area.closed to restaurants.and shopping. Breakfast is very good with a nice area to eat. The room is very clean and modern.

On December 14, 2018 I reported an incident of bed bugs in room number 415 to the front desk staff. I had received bites on my legs and I discovered bed bug evidence on the box spring of the bed. The staff was empathetic towards my situation but the owner of the hotel was rude, condescending and unprofessional. I have since contacted the Brunswick County Health Department and I received a inspection statement from them saying that room 415 is off line for 14 days and being treated for bed bugs. I believe the public has a right to know if bed bugs are discovered in a hotel. This experience has left me physically and mentally damaged and I am truly writing this review to make future guests aware of the possibility of bed bugs so they can take the necessary precautions when visiting this establishment. Thank you.

This hotel had extremely excellent employees. The best breakfast I have ever had in a hotel. Everyone was so helpful and pleasant I look forward to returning to the Best Western Plus Westgate Inn & Suites. Highly recommend this hotel.

I normally stay there when I come to town and each time it's so enjoyable. The staff is amazing. Cady at the front desk is phenomenal. Her smile and friendliness is excellent and I'll always come back there for my stay.

My overall stay was great, I was a little worried b/c I have never stayed at a best western before. I used to leave near one in Homestead, Fl and my visitors who stayed there hated it. But your experience depends on the owner/operater and the staff that they hire. The hotel in Leland was great, the staff was very nice and accomodating.

After arriving a day late after being delayed at airport, we were greeted kindly and received a credit for the night we missed. Clean hotel with small bar in lobby and excellent breakfast. We enjoyed the Keurig coffee maker in room and Starbucks coffee pods.

The hotel lobby and room very clean. The bed was very comfortable so we had a great night's sleep. The bathroom had been updated and the shower was wonderful.We enjoy the breakfast and the staff was very attentive and friendly.

We've stayed at this hotel several times in the past year as we are having a house built in Brunswick Forest. The staff is amazing.....always helpful, very friendly and courteous. Breakfast staff is the best especially Eleanor. Breakfast is good, plentiful and items kept well stocked. Rooms are clean as is the rest of the hotel and everything works. Very quiet. We travel a lot and this place is a favorite.

We checked in and we're given a room that smelled of cats, very badly. We went right back to front desk to request a change, and we're greeted with little sympathy. We we're finally moved to another room, the process was slower than checking. We stay at many BW hotels but this was the worst customer care, or lack of.

Beautiful place to stay! The hotel was an oasis for us when we needed respite. Lovely rooms and friendly staff! Breakfast staff made the morning (and start to our day) better. We were sad that the outdoor pool season had ended, but mother nature can't be controlled.

Very nice accommodations, near restaurants and 5 min from downtown. Tamika was a great host and checked us in along with even remembering us from a previous stay! There is a small bar area and the free breakfast is very good.

Chose this Last Quinta because it was close to my assignment. Came in after 6pm and cordially greeted by Ben who was busy helping another guest.The room (408) was clean and quiet.I had a restful night.Breakfast was typical of any BW.I would come back again.

King room was large and very clean. Lobby has a bar/lounge with complimentary snacks and a very friendly bartender. Breakfast buffet is excellent, offering both healthy and hearty choices. The staff is incredibly helpful. We are especially grateful to the front desk clerk (female, didn't get her name) who helped us when we couldn't get the printer in the small business center to print. She got it working in no time at all and was very knowledgeable. THANK YOU! Also, heater/AC unit has an option to keep the fan running constantly, so the unit didn't start and stop all night long like at some hotels we've been to. The in-room coffee maker was a Keurig, and the downstairs coffee bar is available 24 hrs a day. AWESOME! This place hit all of our requirements.

Very nice hotel, we enjoyed our stay! We traveled from out of town for a wedding and it was a plus that this hotel has dog friendly rooms! The breakfast was the best “hotel” breakfast we have ever had! The bartender James was phenomenal, he went above and beyond! We highly recommend this hotel!

This is a very good hotel. Pleasant staff. James the bartender is great at what he does and is very nice to chat with. The amenities that's are included are enjoyable. Tameka the manager parltrolls the area and makes sure everything is running properly. She engages with the customers very well. I recommend.

I have been staying at this hotel at least 5 days a week for the last few years while working in the area. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and the beds comfortable. The bar up front serves up food as well as beverages. They have a heated pool and hot tub (both seasonal). Plenty of parking available even for truckers or folk carrying trailers. Close by is a Walmart, McDonalds, Arby's, and much more.

We needed to be in the area for several days and decided to give the Best Western a shot and we are glad we did. Staying here for a fraction of what you will pay in downtown Wilmington and you are basically 10 minutes away. This was actually our first time ever staying at a Best Western to-boot. We checked in quickly, they had several people at the front desk. Each was very friendly and inviting. They have a nice area right by the front desk to watch TV, a full service bar, and a free breakfast. We didn't get a chance to take advantage of the breakfast, but it smelled good as we walked by. Our room was very spacious, with a king bed, two chairs and a couch. Plenty of lighting, a good size TV with a Direct TV option so plenty of channels. The bathroom was clean, well lite with a nice size shower. The rooms have a safe, desk, mini fridge and a coffee bar. They have a nice size pool, hot tub, and a good sized workout facility.Plenty of places to park. They offer free USA Todays during the week, and also offer the Wilmington Star News during the week and on weekends. You are close enough to restaurants and coffee shops as well. For the price, you can't beat it. Maybe they can change out the pillows, they weren't the best.

Why married couples need to spend quality time together Just living together isn't enough, it is the moments that count.The Best Western Plus Westgate Inn & Suites is an inexpensive local place where you can enjoy a weekend vacation nearby. The hotel is close to great theaters, restaurants and shops. The Pointe 14 is in Wilmington, NC 28412 which is about 15-20 minutes away. Walmart Supercenter, Applebee's Grill + Bar, are within walking distance. There are several restaurants in the surrounding area.

Due to a hurricane, we were in need of a hotel because of power loss at our home. From the minute we checked in we were welcomed and made to feel "at home". The staff under the worse of circumstances was extraordinary. It was like a well oiled machine. Breakfast was much better than a lot of hotels we have stayed at and staff kept the food coming, hot and fresh! Room was excellent and cleaned each day. Bar area was great, just no hard alcohol, beer and wine. The front desk staff was always friendly and helpful accommodating our needs on a day to day basis.. Would not hesitate to recommend! Close to restaurants, gas, grocery, and shopping.

Best breakfast experience at any comparably priced motels. Friendly and courteous staff. This was a family visit and location was quite good for all ‘tourist' activities. Near Super Walmart, nice grocery and plenty of other shopping opportunities.

As residents of a beach community, we are familiar with hurricanes but have never had to flee inland until now. Fortunately we wisely chose the Best Western in Leland. If you want to stay where the staff cares about their guests and do their work at 100%+ then stay at this inn. I cannot praise them enough for how hard they worked for the safety and well-being of the storm refugees. When one's life is in danger, just being safe is good but this staff made EVERY effort to go beyond basis care: and I hope they are well rewarded for how they worked for the guests. Staff from the front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance stayed in the motel with us until the danger passed. They cooked, they did all they could for us. This is a beautiful bunch of people.

My family and I stayed one night while in town visiting relatives. It was a quick visit but the hotel was super clean and the staff was very kind. The room was quiet and cozy. Thank you for the warm welcome and comfortable place to sleep.

I wish all hotels were like this. The hotel was very clean, the bed was comfortable, everything worked, and the breakfast was good for a hotel breakfast. The people who worked at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. Can't say anything bad about the visit. The price was right. Breakfast was included in the price, and was better than your standard hotel breakfast. It included eggs, bacon, sausage, items to make breakfast burritos, waffles, toast, juice. Food was pretty good, and kept in stock. The room was very clean, no issues. Pool was clean and inviting, although I didn't get to use the pool. Better than most hotels. Great value.

Check-in was a breeze, room was clean (yeah!), breakfast was good with many choices available, pool a little smaller than anticipated, but still worth taking a dip after a long hot day. Lounge was comfortable, set up for conversation between guests. Check-out was also easy peasy! Located minutes away from downtown Wilmington & and easy 10 mins to Wrightsville Beach.

The Best Western in Leland is in a great location on Highway 17. Easy access to shopping, local communities, downtown Wilmington and beaches.Clean. comfortable rooms along with a very nice spread for breakfast make this an excellent value.

This was my first stay at a Best Western Plus and my experience was awesome. The staff was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Facility is centrally located with tons of convenient amenities around with quick and easy drive into Wilmington. Would definitely stay again.

My experience was very pleasant and enjoyable thanks to this hotel. The hotel itself was very clean and new. The breakfast was really impressive with different options each day we stayed and it was name-brand items and very well run. (Sausage Links/Sausage Patties/ Breakfast Burritos with two types of eggs. Potatoes and mini and full size waffles with all different kind of toppings you could imagine. Instant grits with 6 different cereal options. Yogurt and different fresh fruit along with bagels and muffins and bread and croissants. The room was nice and bed was comfortable. The pool and Jacuzzi were great features that I enjoyed, although the pool and Jacuzzi were on the smaller side, but other than that very clean and enjoyable. Great location and great price - I would recommend and return.

I have stayed at the Best Western Westgate a couple of times now and had a consistently good experience. The location is good. It is just outside Wilmington so you can avoid the worst traffic and inflated center-city hotel pricing without sacrificing much of anything. We visit the Leland area at least once a year and always stay at the BW Westgate. The staff there is always extremely friendly, welcoming, and courteous. The rooms are lovely and spotless and the breakfast choices are great. We look forward to our next visit!

I have traveled all over the country and stayed in many hotels, motels and Inns. This Best Weston in Leland NC is by far the best as for as service, room and comfort. My wife loved the comfort of the bed so much that we bought some of the sheets from the Inn and went out and bought the same type of mattress. The morning meal was far superior to any we have had anywhere.

We stayed here for 4 nights while visiting the area. It is not in Wilmington, but close enough - 10 minutes tops to get downtown, about 30 minutes to the beach. Lots of shopping and eateries right there. All the staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was nicely done. Offerings seemed to alternate every other day - eggs/bacon, potaotes, chorizo to make a southwest breakfast burrito, make-your-own waffles, yogurt, pastries, fruit. The staff did a great job keeping on top it, and clean. Saw them cutting up fresh strawberries. The pool is pretty small (we did not use), but people were enjoying it. Room was a nice size, and clean. We experienced no negatives. Will stay here again when we return. I seemed to have some trouble sleeping - whether it was the bed, or things on my mind-??? But it was quiet.

Excellent hotel with all the amenities and super friendly staff, albeit on the expensive side. Was caught in town (neighboring Wilmington actually) trying to find a hotel where everything in the area was booked solid. Got the last room at this hotel due to a cancellation -- super friendly and helpful staff, beautiful accommodations, comfortable and clean rooms, very luxurious. Enjoyed our staff, though a little pricier than I would have liked but so be it...

We have stayed here twice now and have been equally pleased both times. The rooms are large and clean and the staff is courteous and professional. Breakfast is okay (could be better if more was offered) and the location is convenient to shopping and restaurants.

We had a hard time finding a place to stay, we walked in several hotels and were met with rude clerks and no rooms. We walked into this nice clean Best Western and were greeted by the nicest clerk and a King Suite! She was very pleasant, told us all about internet, breakfast (real good!!), etc. Suggested several options for check out. Our room was immaculate. Very nice sitting area. When we went to bed, the sheets AND comforter smelled freshly washed and clean. They smelled so nice!! We only stayed one night but if we weren't on our way somewhere else, I would have stayed a lot longer!!

I stayed at this location for one night in June and booked and PAID for my room via a website through my job, however when I checked in they asked for my card, which I assumed was to place on the account if anything came up. So I checked my credit card account a few days after checking out and I was charged for the room again, but as mentioned before I had already paid through a website at my job. I called the location and the young lady named Alexus told me I needed to take it up with the company I booked through, which should not have been the route to go. But I did call the company I booked through and they contacted someone at the hotel and I received an email on June 25th stating that I would get an refund from the hotel because they charged me in error. Low and behold it's July 18th and still no freaking refund. I have called and left messages for the manager to call me back but I have not gotten a call. So needless to say if this is how they do business I will not be booking another stay at this hotel, which is sad because I really enjoyed my stay and the area.

The staff was wonderful. It was close to everything. Not extremely busy which allowed my family to have a great comfortable stay. The pool was a plus, they have a nice patio area.Will definitely be returning.

I found this one to be at the very top of my list . helpful, friendly staff, GORGEOUS both inside and out and very convenient location. Everything about our stay was exceptional for a mid priced hotel. Rooms were clean, spacious, and well appointed. Lots of shopping, restaurants, and entertainment within a short distance. Golf course community open to public right across the highway. Staff friendly and visible. Breakfast buffet much higher quality than most in this price range. WiFi reception was spotty in our room, but we were all the way at the end of the hall, which was great because it was dead quiet. Highly recommended.

This looks like a fairly new hotel both inside and out, very clean and bright with friendly helpful staff Guest laundry was very useful as we had been traveling for over a week Breakfast was very good with lots to choose from Complimentary tea/coffee in reception is a nice touch Room very spacious, bright and clean and for the first time during our trip a room that had a safety deposit box so we did not need to carry our passports and travel documents around with us Would definitely stay here again, well done

We stayed at the Westgate Inn & Suites while we were in town for a little league baseball tournament- the hotel was beautiful, the rooms immaculate and the people were so friendly!! We have the same tournament every June on Oak Island, and we will be staying here again!

We were very happy with our stay in Leland. The staff were very friendly and the room nice and clean. Plan to stay there again. Plantings outside by pool were really pretty. Staff did a good job of taking care of them.

Excellent room w King bed wonderful sheets, blankets and pillows. Starbucks coffee, microwave and frig. Best Buffet breakfast ever...w homemade eggs, bacon, sausage, light waffles you make w starabeeries and fresh whipped cream, great coffee and other items. Nice bar and the friendliest and helpful staff making your stay pleasant and easy. Will definitely return when in this area close to Wilmington.

This place is clean and rooms are spacious. The staff is friendly and responsive to your needs. It is conveniently located to whatever you need. At checkout my wife forgot her flat iron and housekeeping ran us down in the parking lot to return it.

We were visiting our daughters and this hotel was the perfect location. Although it's been there for some years it felt like new. Very clean, staff was really nice and accomodating when we extended our stay for one day more. We'd been on a long trip and in a lot of hotels, and this one was definitely a good one. The breakfast was somewhat busy, but it had the standard stuff and was fine.

This is one of the best hotels we have stayed with. The rooms are clean and big. The complimentary breakfast is complete with hot and cold options. Elenor works to keep the food ready and coming for the entire time period of breakfast. She is awesome! There is a bar which serves apps and sandwiches, too. Great service all around. We are impressed. If in the Wilmington NC area, stay here! 25 minutes from the city and lower rates.

Recently stayed at this hotel for an anniversary trip. The hotel was extremely clean and quiet. Breakfast is amazing! The staff are very helpful and respectful. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Hotel has a nice pool with a bar that serves beer and wine. Laundry room was great we didnt have to travel home with dirty clothes. The king suite with a sofa bed was perfect for our family. We had plenty of room for everyone.

My granddaughter's car broke down in Leland, NC and had to spend the night in her car because there were no rooms, but they had one the next day. Linda, at the front desk wouldn't help her get in a room early and made her sit outside in the heat and humidity because she had a dog. Shameful!!!!

We were pleasantly surprised just how nice this hotel is. We've always stayed at the HIE across the street, but their beds were saggy. After numerous complaints, we made the switch. The staff at BW were very accommodating, the room was cozy, and the bed perfect in terms of firmness. It is a lovely property, and convenient to sights in the Wilmington area. We will be back and we will refer!

We arrived early but had no problem with check in. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast choices were great. Very friendly staff. They had no problems with giving us change for the guest laundry.

Strong odor coming from bathroom sink drains and commode that got stronger as the night went on. When reported to front desk was told to run the water for a while in all the faucets, sinks, shower and tub. However, after running water for 20 minutes, it did not resolve the issue.

This is a clean and comfortable facility with an attentive staff. We enjoyed staying her while in town for a family wedding. We were helped with restaurant selections, directions, and even snacks and water for the trip home. Thank you, Leland BW!

Excellent we have great service .. Very clean .. very quite.. We went to see our daughter for mothers day weekend it was nice. Easy to find. breakfast was great ... hot tub was so relaxing and nice. We will be going here to stay again.

Stayed there multiple times; enjoyed the stay as usual. Linda at the check-in desk was very friendly and helpful. Check-in checkout, breakfast and experience were all fine. Had noisy neighbors after 10 pm, but 1 call to the front desk solved the issue.

Awesome.. Awesome Awesome Best hotel out there. Excellent Breakfast.. Excellent customer service. We drove up 6 hours away and thought we would stay night and sight see and then come back to Leland Best Western. We ended up checking into a Hotel in DC and it was not nice. We actually drove 6 hours back to Leland to stay the night in Best Western Plus. Arrived at 2:15 in morning. That tells you we would drive for hours to have a Quality Hotel.

Do not recommend hotel at all.Booked a room on the phone while on the way to hotel.Customer service rep told us the rate was 83.00 per night just like the was the other 15 times we have stayed there. When we checked in i gave the desk a copy of my drivers license and was told to sign the check in slip which I did. I did not read the paper like i should have done. I trusted the business and did not read it. This morning after looking at my bank statement i realized they charge my account $486.00 for 2 nights. It has always been $83.00 per night. I called and was told that the girl that booked the room has been fired for messing up all the time.They said it was a graduation weekend and the rates were higher because of that. I explained that's not what I was told. They said they didn't care and was not going to fix it and didn't care if was not happy. Its my fault for trusting a company i had done business with over 10-15 times and not reading the paper. I told her if i was going to pay $486.00 for 2 nights i would have drove 15 more miles and stayed on the beach. They would rather lose a great customer that would have stayed there another 15-20 times in the next few years.I feel like i was lied too and stolen from. We have a grandson in the area. DON'T TRUST THIS COMPANY !!!! STAY ACROSS THE STREET AT HOLIDAY INN. Holiday Inn Leland phone number is 910-383-3300 FYI: It has a indoor pool and was a lot cheaper on the weekend according to them.

The most helpful staff you will find anywhere. So pleasant....good southern charm found at a chain hotel!! Breakfast is great many choices for everyone. Beds are very comfortable. The front desk staff will go out of their way to help and answer questions.

Great hotel! Very comfortable and a great location. The staff was very friendly and eager to help. The breakfast was nothing special but there was a good variety of things and they kept it stocked and clean.

Courteous staff, clean rooms, large tile shower, well lit grounds, decent free breakfast, and at a reasonable price range. I stayed in one of the four pet friendly rooms. The fee was an extra $20, but my dog loved playing figure out which animal was in here last. Lol.

Stayed one night during a trip to see the battleship North Carolina. We drove up from Hilton Head and got there early. Front desk staff got us into a room early, and we were able to get to the battleship tour that day by 2pm (closes at 5) rather than waiting until the next day. Very polite, helpful and friendly staff. This hotel paid a lot of attention to ensuring cleanliness, everything from putting the TV remote in a bag labelled “cleaned” to Saran wrapping the fruit at the breakfast buffet. Although the location is Leland rather than Wilmington, it's just a short drive along one road to get to the ship, and close to the historic downtown too. We didn't use the pool or other facilities but this hotel looks better than what you would expect for the price.

Excellent hotel and exceptional staff. Hotel is very convenient to Wilmington and restaurants/shops. Accesss to the hotel was east and convient to most major highways. Driving to Wilmington's attractions and resturants was easy and only ten to fifteen minutes away.

I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone coming to the Leland / Wilmington area. The staff will go out of there way to offer you and assistance, recommendations to make your stay more enjoyable.

Wow... what a gem of a hotel. This totally changed my idea of a Best Western. This hotel is fairly new. It was clean, the rooms nicely decorated and a great friendly and helpful staff. We'll be looking to stay here again and other Best Western Plus hotels.

This place was clean and friendly staff,. I enjoyed swimming int the spa and pool. The breakfast end at 10 am on the weekend and please do not be late lie at 9:55 am you will get rushed by the breakfast staff crew but I made a good and tasty waffle. Overall the Hotel is the BEST! for the area.

This hotel is fabulous. The staff is among the most welcoming we have experienced, the room was great, the hot breakfast was wonderful, and the price they gave us was very reasonable. And the hotel is within 20 minutes of downtown Wilmington, the beaches, and the airport!

After long travel's on the road this hotel exceeded our expectations of comfort and was more than worth it for the good nights sleep we finally got, Along with comfortable beds, pillows, linens and shower, cleanliness and food accommodations and the staff went out of their way to make you feel welcome and relaxed. The pool and the hot tub were open accessible clean and inviting, as pools should be.

Very clean rooms, the breakfast was the best of any hotel I've stayed at. I did feel like it was was a little pricey for the location and season but overall we were definitely pleased and would visit again.

This hotel is a great place to stay. I have been coming here due to work in the area for the last four years. Of all the hotels in the area I have stayed in, Best Western Plus Westgate is the best. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They always great me with a smile, and know my family by name. The rooms are spacious and very clean. They have a heated pool (not that I use it), and a bar & grill with a decent menu. They do regular maintenance (more than most hotels) to keep up the well kept look, almost looks like a newer hotel.

We were traveling through the area on business and made a last minute decision to get a room. This meant we checked in rsther late to this hotel. The staff was very polite and friendly. We got a mini suit it was very clean and comfortable. If we are in the area again I would definitely stay here again.

Housekeeping messed up. they didn't clean our room on the 2nd day. Mgr begged for forgiveness and gave us 2 drinks @ bar and a gift bag of snacks. They did do a fine job on our Wake up call though. Bed was comfortable and breakfast was very good.

I've stayed at many hotels. This is the best stay at a hotel ever. Let's start off with CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN. The staff...every person who works there is the model of customer service. Excellent. The lady who runs the breakfast. I'm sorry forgot her name...is amazing!!!! She truly cares about her job.she loves the guests. She made sure my son who is 3 always had something he liked for breakfast. The front desk...amazing. friendly. Even the maintenance worker who had to replace the battery on our door was so nice. Would recommend this hotel.. 10.stars if I could. Even housekeeping left a lovely note every single day!

From check-in to check-out our stay was very nice. The hotel is very clean and the front desk staff are helpful and friendly. I do think the beds are too firm and could use a pillow top but other than that the room was perfect. I definitely would stay here again.

When a hotel tells you that your stay comes with a free breakfast you would never imagine one like the one this hotel gives you. Homemade eggs, breakfast meats, hot coffee, cold juice, variety of fruit, cereals, muffins.... you name it. Whatever you want to eat, they have it. I look forward to my stay because I know I will see Ms Eleanor with her big smile and awesome breakfast.

I will visit again and again!!!! The rooms were clean and nicely decorated. The staff were friendly and willing to make my visits pleasant. The outstanding customer service started at the time of reservation and included automotive assistance from the maintenance man, Mr. B., pleasant conversation from Mrs. E., quality inspection from Ms. M, in management and assistance from Ms. S, from housekeeping.

We have stayed on previous occasions and the hotel is always clean, comfortable and provided all the amenities you need while traveling. The staff is friendly, helpful and always present for whatever you may need. Breakfast is extensive and good.

The moment my brother and I arrived at this hotel we felt welcomed. The person at the front desk was friendly and helpful, the lobby was large and bright and impeccably clean. We were in town to visit our father, who was very ill, and we were unfamiliar with the area. We couldn't have chosen a better place to stay. The room was clean and comfortable, and with the microwave, cabinets, and small refrigerator we were able to keep drinks and snacks there during a hectic and trying time. The beds were very comfortable. The free breakfast buffet had everything we might want, and the attendant at the buffet kept everything tidy and helped guests find what they wanted. Housekeeping was great as well. A good staff and lovely accommodations--perfect!

This hotel is clean & quiet! The staff is very courteous & friendly. The beds are very comfortable.My husband loves sausage & he wished they would have offered it everyday. They also ran out of sausage before he was there.

This BW was clean, convenient and the front desk knows how to greet their customer. The breakfast was great and the lounge is a plus if you do not want to drive around in traffic looking for something to eat.

The staff and comfort at the Best Western Plus in Leeland, is first rate. Hotel is conveniently located. And, the staff, from the welcome counter staff, to the breakfast set up crew, are always professional and helpful. As always, we had an enjoyable stay.

I came down from the holidays-and stayed at Best Western for 9 days. It happen this was during the time we had ice and snow. I did not drive for 5 days, so I had to depend on the hotel for food and hospitality! Yes, I was well taken care off.

Very clean and breakfasts were wonderful. Only issue was with TV reception. Changing channels was fine in the morning and very late at night. During prime time could not change channels. Had to use Guide and select channel. Then there was a pause and then it would change. Notified front desk twice. They set someone up to check it there was too much in recording and change the batteries. I think direct TV cannot handle all the activity.

Thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very well presented and quite ample. The staff were uniformly friendly and helpful. The front desk staff merits special mention for their friendliness and hospitality.

Excellent quality for the price. Clean and comfortable room as well as a great breakfast selection and friendly staff. My family all got together in the evening for chatting in the eating area and the desk staff was so friendly and knowledgeable. We shared homemade pineapple coconut cake together.

Have stayed here before and again found it ti be an excellent to stay. Room and staff exceed all expectations, clean , great location and one of the best staffs that we have meet. Will always be looking for a Best Western Plus in our travels as a place to stay.

Jasmine was AMAZING and super helpful! Great service gave us recommendations for tge area of where to eat and places to see. Cannot say enough about your staff and how wonderful and comfortable our room was. We will for sure be back.

The Best Western Westgate is an excellent member of the Best Western Hotel chain. The service and staff are courteous and profession. The check-in and check-out process with Rachel was painless. The hotel receipt is always under your door in the morning!

I've stayed here a few times now and have always been happy with the attentive staff (especially Rachel). The rooms are reasonably priced, clean, and they have a great breakfast! I highly recommend this hotel, especially for those visiting Brunswick Forest.
