"better choice if wish to have stay in away from center"
Room specious , Internet fast , foods are delicious , could be better if some more choices are added in Breakfast . Staff friendly , surrounding quieter place. value for money . worth staying again if wish to stay away from center of town.
"Good customer service"
I was on a business trip and had a stomach bug from upcountry. The hotel staff were so kind. They recommended drinks to take and prepared light vegetables. The rooms are spacious, and the beds are so comfortable. Will return!
"Great for Business Travellers"
If you want to stay at a clean, friendly, proffessional hotel during your business trip in Uganda, the Best Western, Athena Hotel in Bugolobi is your best option. I found the staff very friendly, proffessional and polite to talk to and always ready to support and help in case of any inquiry and will provide quick feedback and support. . The breakfast buffet is superbly sumptuous. The rooms are clean.

"Great two day stay at Best Western Plus The Athena"
The hotel has really comfortable beds, helpful staff and great breakfast Best Western is located in a convenient place for first time visitors to Uganda. It is not far from town and is quiet for those set for business

"Enjoyed my stay."
I enjoyed my stay at the Athena. It met my expectations in terms of the rooms and amenities the rooms have Ac ,the wifi is good and there is a g if you would like to get your work out in ,it is also in quite a good neighborhood. Breakfast variety was the only thing I noted lacking but the same was raised with mgt and they said they would look into it. I would recommend the hotel to anyone coming to Kampala.

Generally Athena is the place to be , it's neat tidy and you feel welcome. I had a wonderful quiet and peaceful stay while at The Athena. All the staff are welcoming , with a quiet environment and good proximity to grocery stores and supermarkets.

The Athena hotel has been such a serene environment to spend my nights while on a business trip. Really love the staff - Dennis, Geoffrey and the whole staff at the reception are such a great asset! Brilliant space!

"The end of our UGANDA trip"
The rooms, the environment and the owners has been amazing. I recommend it for quick visit and also for a business stay. The rooms are so confortable, the pool space is nice and the restaurant has a good menu of food and beverages. Hope to visit again so soon

"great hospitality"
amazing experience, we stayed for 2 nights and all the employees were super friendly. The rooms were clean and food was amazing. We really enjoyed it and they let us have a late checkout as we were travelling late! Thank you guys hopefully see you soon

"Business"
I do really like this hotel,.. I feel like a home. I do travel a lot, I am a member of the major hotel chain and I do very selectively choosing my stay “Hotel”. Especially in this difficult time. It is important all part of the hospitality to be on level. This hotel is. The hotel is very nice good location regards of the availability of the shopping, restaurants, pharmacy. What is for me the most important that is the cleanliness, this hotel is really clean nice. What I like to highlight as well that is the staff. Very good, gentle, kind and professionals. I can specially recommend this hotel for the business peoples, but for others as well, everybody will find good hospitality for himself in this pleasant place.

The room was perfect for me me, well lit and the work desk make my work meetings easy. Great food, the soups and salads were just perfect. Will definitely return to explore Kampala. The property was so clean. Easy access to office, Musa can take out around Kampala.

"Staycation"
The best hotel I have ever been privilaged to stay at. Nice views, awesome food and amazing staff. The swimming pool is awesome, gym is superb. Great room are clean and well maintained. I have to admit this was one of the best vacation ever and I would recommend anyone and everyone to come experience and enjoy one of the best hotels ever.

Great location at The Athena Hotel where everything you need is at your doorstep including beautiful Ugandan Crested Cranes bird, trekking gorilla, airport, hospitals among others. Absolutely amazing! The service is wonderful! The rooms are clean and spacious. The breakfast was fantastic! We were so impressed. Sensational pool, exercise facility/gym, airport shuttles, handicap parking, and access and lovely staff. The natural fauna is beautiful and trekking gorillas are great treats. It's a luxurious oasis and we can't wait to return.

"Great location, Clean and Friendly"
Stayed at this beautiful hotel while visiting Kampala for business.I liked the awareness on Covid 19 protocols by the staff, who were well versed with the new ways which made me feel secure .Tastefully done rooms with good Wifi that does not fluctuate which is a pleasant surprise. Great location If you plan on moving about the city.

"Cosy home away from home place"
I checked into the hotel as it was the only option as it was close to the offices where I was working. Well, it turned out being the best discovery in a long time. The check in was quick and efficient and Christine was all smiles as she walked me upp to my room. The rooms are clean, comfortable and has good choice of both bed linen and towels. Breakfast is good- consider trying some local breakfast, I found it not only very healthy but filling. Being a botique hotel, the staff will know you within days and I experienced upclose and personal service. It took 24 hours for Sharon to notice I dont take sugar and once I mentioned I was diabetic, some magic was worked out and I was given a customised menu. I felt like Royalty. Will definitely visit again

"Relaxing after long day from work"
The level of professionalism and service is something to admire about. Early morning breakfast was on time and served in the room. Drop-off to the airport was a breeze with no hustle. Definitely coming back when in Kampala.

This hotel is fresh, clean, feels like I'm back in the states. The decor and friendly staff are added bonuses. Location is good for nightlife, upper tier restaurants, Acacia Mall, and located in the Kololo, neighborhood of Kampala, would have given it a 5 star rating but found breakfast to take sometime to serve coffee and food. Ive stayed on 4 different weekends and highly recommend.

I mailed three hotels in Kampala to inquire about their rates and only The Athena responded but am glad the rest didn't because the Athena hotel exceeded my expectations. The hotel is very modern but with a distinctly African feel and their rates are relatively affordable. The rooms are spacious and well furnished. The beds are very comfortable. Internet Access is very good, free, and easy to set up. The food is very good and the hotel is surrounded by many bars and restaurants should you want to eat out. I did not get time to use most of the facilities although the pool area and gym looked great. If you are a business traveler or tourist to Kampala I would highly recommend The Athena hotel

Absolutely outstanding hotel perfectly located. Helpful, friendly staff who go above and beyond to make sure you have the best time. It was my birthday during our stay, which we had not mentioned, but they obviously saw that at the check in. It was a lovely suprise when they left a bottle of champagne in the room! Also an excellent breakfast buffet. We will definetely come back with friends and I would highly recommend this hotel.

I definitely recommend this hotel for their excellent service. Their rooms are well-fitted, immaculate and cozy. I am thankful that they have such attentive and friendly staff and that they take necessary precautions in this time of Coronavirus. The food at the hotel's restaurant didn't meet my expectations, but there are a variety of good restaurants located nearby.
