Best Western of Harbor Springs

We always enjoy staying at this family owned Best Western. Great location, close to Nubs and Boyne Highlands for skiing in the winter, and right between Harbor Springs and Petoskey for a nice bike ride in the summer to either town. The ladies at breakfast are always friendly.

My family has stayed here multiple nights each year for the last 8 years. This hotel never disappoints. It is clean with a bright and cheery atmosphere. Breakfast is available on time and is delicious. The staff ensures that any needs we have are met. We will continue staying here.

Hotel is very nice. Staff is awesome. Rooms are always very clean. Parking lot is kept clean and safe no matter how bad the weather is. I personally met the hotel owner, he and the staff always out the guests first.

Staff friendliness, cleanliness / freshness of room and breakfast were all excellent and exceeded my expectations. This hotel is not fancy but it served my needs extremely well. It is less than 5 miles from Boyne Highlands and Nub's Nob Ski areas.

I'm apprehensive to write this review because I feel like I found a hidden gem! We've always stayed in Petoskey at whatever hotel we could find, but most of them you're finding the same thing… old buildings, uncomfy beds, thin walls, etc. This place absolutely blows those other motels out of the water. It is seemingly (a lot?) newer, beds were super comfy, bathrooms were nice, rooms were very clean, and the best of all was that was staff was INSANELY nice! So friendly, so kind. The breakfast was also shockingly robust for a continental breakfast…. Eggs, sausage, fresh waffles… I can't say enough good things! Thank you Sarah & staff!

This was a quick trip, but a great experience and I'd highly recommend the facility. Clean, quiet, and friendly, with easy access to all the local sites. I'm hoping to get back to the area soon, so much to see and do.

The hotel was very nice. Room was clean and comfortable. If you stay there make sure to ask for a room away from the road. The hotel is at a busy intersection and there is a lot of road noise. We stayed in room 115 and when locking the door there was a bit of a gap in the door which really made the difference with the noise. Luckily we always travel with a fan so it was not a problem. Breakfast was adequate and the staff was very friendly. This is on the outskirts of Harbor Springs.

This was our second stay at the Best Western in Harbor Springs and it was excellent again. The location is easy to get to, all rooms are on the first level with parking close by so loading/unloading are easy. The included breakfast was delicious! Heavenly fresh-made eggs, waffles, pastries - there was something for everyone. The best part for our trip was the hotel is 5 minutes from Petoskey State Park. No need to deal with downtown traffic.

A really nice hotel property. The included hot breakfast was far superior to most hotels. Very clean rooms, comfortable beds, nice indoor pool. Convenient to several Northern Michigan locations. Friendly staff. Hotels don't make beds every day anymore but this one brought fresh towels and emptied trash everyday.

Very nice hotel with great check in staff. The rooms were clean and nicely renovated. We enjoyed the spacious 2 room suite with 2 bathrooms. The couch and chairs were nothing special but the beds were great. I usually stay at Hiltons and found this very comparable.

Friendly staff, great rooms, excellent location! Would stay here again if in the area. Easy access to Petoskey and Harbor Springs. Kids loved the pool. Nice jacuzzi. Staff went out of their way to make sure the stay was comfortable.

My husband and i had not stayed at a Best Western but this time we were doing a group trip with 60 people for golf. We found the front desk and ALL the workers to be wonderful, helpful and accommodating to our group. we would definitely loook at other Best Westerns based on this experience.

Very clean and modern hotel. Very friendly staff! Comfortable beds. Beautifully furnished. Room had fridge and microwave. Pool and fitness center were nice! Great location. Breakfast was wonderful! Definitely recommend a stay here!

The night shift staff was moody and short during chick in. Bar staff was missing for an undetermined amount of time during a dinner / supper time. However, the staff member who made my breakfast in the morning was kind and very helpful.

We were welcomed by Barb in the warmest way and given an upgrade to the 2 room suite without surcharge. Coming from the hospital after the loss of a family member from an accident this was balm for the soul. From the outside it looks like a motel from the 1960's but the furnishings are modern, tasteful and practical, bathrooms recently updated, spotlessly clean, very comfortable beds/pillows, and friendliest of staff. Breakfast exceeded our expectation of “continental” with waffles and egg with sausage muffins on top of the usual fare. Location is a little noisy, but our room faced the back and the private airstrip just out back had infrequent traffic. This is the perfect base for a bike ride on the Little Traverse Wheelway, which can be accessed 1 block west, and M 119 turns into our favorite drive along Lake Michigan just past the charming village of Harbor Springs, also called the “Tunnel of Trees”.

We have season ski passes so we're up in Harbor Springs for 7-8 weekends every winter. We've stayed at nearly every hotel in the area, and have found Best Western to be the perfect fit for us...close to the slopes, still near dining and grocery options, reasonably priced, and always clean and welcoming. The new mattresses they recently got are amazing...the first night we slept 12+ hours, woke up feeling great, and we enjoyed it so much we're purchasing one for our own home.

I was worried when I made my reservation that rooms would not be nice, due to the age of the motel.. Everything about my stay exceeded my expectations! Room, pool area, and breakfast were all well kept, CLEAN, and good! Definitely would recommend and would stay again!

We had a great stay. Lots of options for breakfast and I liked that we could grab and go. The pool room was so clean. We were there for a girl basketball tournament, so this was a nice room with lots for the girls to do.

Sandy and Anthony were welcoming and helpful for all guests. Sandy was able to help me get a last minute room and made everything quick and easy. Rooms quiet and clean. Breakfast easy and great. Thank you both!

Everything was in working order. The beds were comfortable. The room was very clean and nicely decorated. The exterior and grounds very clean and very eye appealing. The breakfast was more than adequate..it included waffles, eggs, ham, hot and cold cereals, muffins, juices, milk, coffee, fruit and more.

This was our second time staying at this property. It is very well maintained inside and out. The rooms are very clean and have a good layout. The beds are comfortable. The continental breakfast provided what we needed. The staff is accommodating, friendly and helpful. I will continue to stay here when in the area.

This was our second year staying here and was just as impressed as last year. The rooms are clean and modern. Mike and his entire staff truly do care about your experience and take the time to talk and get to the know the guests. The breakfasts are hot and better than most hotels. They truly put in the effort to make sure everyone is fed and the quality of food is not compromised. We will be back!

We spent 2 nights here and we were very pleased. The staff were all friendly, front desk and breakfast. The room was very clean and well appointed kitchenette. The pool looked inviting but we didn't have time to use it. The breakfast room was clean and the staff was attentive and friendly. Real scrambled eggs freshly made and breakfast meat. Fresh made Belgian waffles, assorted bread selections for toasting. Assorted hot and cold cereal and yogurt. Assorted beverages.

My family and I enjoyed our stay. The hotel is very clean and quiet. The parking lot is well lit. Staff are friendly and helpful. The free breakfast is convenient. There is a gas station across the street and restaurants nearby.

On the recommendation of a friend, we and another couple made reservations at the BWHS, and glad we did. BW had a problem with their system, but a confirming email quickly resolved the issue. First, parking was about 10 feed from our door which was very convenient. The room had 2 queen beds with good mattresses, small fridge which worked, a microwave and it was immaculate and well appointed. Five bars on the Wi-Fi and easy to log into. I regularly participate in a summer event with the Harbor Springs Area Historical society, and this hotel is now my hotel of choice for that event.

I frequent this hotel as a result of business in the area. At check in on this visit, the staff was experiencing difficulties with processing credit cards resulting in the inability to charge a credit card. They did have a credit card on file in their computer system and told me the last 4 digits, due to my credit card being fraudulently compromised in the past, I told them the card on file was no longer valid, I provided a valid card that I was desirous of replacing the old card on file. (They could have written down the card information and entered it manually when systems were functional) They told me they could not accomplish that until the terminal/computer issues were resolved, I told Barb, the front desk person, I was staying for two nights and that I could stop back the next morning to update the credit card. We unpacked in the room and left the hotel returning a few hours later, for ten minutes I unsuccessfully tried to enter the room, the key cards were not functioning. Driving back to the front desk, Sandy (very nice person) told me Barb made the decision to deactivate the key card until we update and pay for the room. The following day, I reached out to Michael Erxleben, hotel manager: I explained my discontentment and inconvenience related to the negative experience, I was aghast at his vehement defensive position on the fringes of argumentative. He told me they tried to call me: I explained the annoyance of constant robo-calls, I don't answer the phone unless I know where the call is coming from. He stood firm and told me if he were onsite, he would have made the same decision adding “we've been stung before”; essentially telling me that felt I may try to evade paying for the room. They keep ongoing records and were well aware that I've been coming there for many years with numerous visits throughout the summer season, those historical facts should lend credence, not only to my patronage, but also as a honest responsible visitor. In my opinion, Michael does not possess the managerial skill set and personality required for the position he retains: Michael is not interested in listening to the customer, instead he feels compelled to express his condescending views. As a alternate example of customer service and satisfaction: I continually rent from Enterprise, at each return, the service agent asks how was the rental: In midsummer, I rented in Grand Haven Michigan, shortly after leaving I noticed a low tire pressure light was illuminated, the tire pressure was below 20lbs, therefore, I stopped and inflated all four tires. Upon returning the rental to Parma Ohio, the service agent asked how was my rental, I explained the tire issue: their response, “what can we do for you” I asked for credit on one of the rental days in addition to waiving the refuel option, they did and furthermore asked what else they could do to ensure complete customer satisfaction? I replied “you've done enough, thank you for offering” On a side note: we never walk barefoot in a hotel and always check the floor cleanliness, by using a damp white cloth, as If you are cleaning the floor in a circular motion across the carpet and tile area will reveal all; here is the result of Harbor Springs, Best Western.

This BW has a great staff. Clean modern rooms. Great location for all of the area activities. The breakfast is good with lots to choose from. I like being the ground floor rooms and being able to park right in front of the door.

Very clean hotel. Breakfast was amazing. Full hot breakfast. We didn't get a chance to use the pool but stopped in to check it out. Looked very clean and a lot of seating. Bathroom was clean and looked like it had been updated. Loved the tile work! Only complaint was probably the noise from the road, it was close to busy road and there was a gap in the door frame. But that truly is not terrible to deal with if you bring a sound machine or use the fan option on the wall unit. The staff were all super friendly. If we are ever back in the area this hotel will definitely be on the to stay list!

Staff was friendly and helpful. Father and son who own this motel are great and was willing to answer and help with our needs. The Motel was centrally located to many highlights to see in the area. The bike path was directly behind the motel

Rooms looked to be recently renovated and were well appointed for a Best Western. Staff were very friendly and helpful, with easy check-in and express checkout. Location of the hotel is convenient, but not in the downtown area of Harbor Springs. Located next to the regional airport runway, but small planes and private jets sounds didn't seem to be an issue during the one night stay.

Super clean and beautifully maintained grounds. Like stepping back in time where staff and service actually care about the guests as if you're staying in their home. Wonderfully clean and tasty breakfast. Super comfortable bed and pillows!

Very comfortable room, friendly and helpful staff. Very good breakfast in the mornings. When we arrived the Front desk clerk made sure we knew where everything was located at the hotel. She also made sure that we knew about local activities, as well as good local restaurants

This hotel is the best run, cleanest, up to date, not run down, comfortable, hotel with great beds, food amenities that you could find ever. I've never stayed at a better one. Mike and staff have continued to raise the bar here and it amazes me every time I stay here. And I've been coming for over 40 years! How can they keep raising the bar? It's always so clean and well kept! There is no better hotel I've stayed at in anywhere in the USA near this price range. They will always get my business. Mike S

VERY Clean, great location with easy access in and out. Just about mid-point between Harbor Springs and the edge of Petoskey. Easy connect to 31. Staff was awesome and friendly and easy to talk with. The grounds - OMG, the grounds were so nice, clean and well maintained. Flowerpots, sitting areas, large grassy areas to enjoy. Housekeeping was efficient and completed early. Downsides: Guests might be smoking outside of their room, which happens to be right next to your room. Also, noisy guests can be easily heard through the walls. All n all, it is a great place. I believe the owner lives on the property, so that helps keep it nice.

The hotel is freshly remodeled and very clean. The entire staff made sure we were taken care of and ask us when they seen us if we had anything we needed. My 2 day stay was with 2 friends in one of the suites. We had plenty of room and we all had a great sleep on the new beds. The hotel is a short mile or so to town.

The property is well maintained, the staff are polite and very helpful. Spoke with one of the owners that truly cares about his facility and was eager for my feedback. I will definitely stay again if in the area.

The hotel room was very comfortable. Staff was very polite. The hotel was close to the Zoo De Mack venue at a fraction of the cost. The door was just outside the room so we could park a few yards from the room. They did offer to store our bikes for us as well. We'll definitely book here for next year too.

This place is so spotlessly clean you could feel it blindfolded!!! The staff are friendly and VERY knowledgeable if the area...if you need help with directions or information, they go that extra mile!

We had an unexpected need for a motel! This place wast top notch. The rooms were lovely, bathroom decorated very nicely. Breakfasts were fresh home made food. The staff could not have been nicer and would do anything to make our stay comfortable. Would absolutely stay there again and will recommend to friends!!

My daughter, granddaughter and I enjoyed our 4-night stay in one of the suites. This property is well-cared for and did not disappoint us. Continental breakfast, a nice pool & hot tub, working WIFI, and comfortable accommodations will bring us back again. The only thing that needs help is the water temperature in the showers that can go from hot to cold in an instant. I considered this stay a very good value and appreciated the extra space and conveniences of selecting a suite.

Came to go skiing in nearby resorts. Hotel is very close to Boyne Highlands and Nubs Nob. This hotel has a phenomenal breakfast. Fresh cooked scrambled eggs and bacon or sausage. 2 waffle irons. Hot and cold cereal. Bangles and muffins, yogurt, juices and good coffee. They have a well kept swimming pool and sauna. Great to relax after skiing. Comfortable beds and high pillows.

We have stayed at this hotel now about 4-5 times in the past 8 years for an annual ski trip. It is really close and convenient to the slopes (5 min. drive) so we have even come back to the hotel, gotten dinner and gone back for night skiing. The rooms are clean and updated. The breakfast they serve in the morning has hot options and lots of variety. The pool and hot tub are always great at the end of the day. On this particular trip we felt the chlorine was a bit high and looked like the hot tub could use a scrubbing but this has been a favorite place for us to stay when skiing up in Petosky/Harbor Springsl

We had an incredible time. The pool and the hot tub were both open. There is a restroom changing area just off of the pool for your concenience. The rooms are clean, you have a fridge in your kitchenette and usb ports on each night stand. The bathrooms are clean as well. The breakfast is awesome with juice, waffles, sausage, mini fruit cups, and Pb as well. Absolutely delicious, we will be back!

The front desk was very helpful and knowledgeable about the local establishments and directions. They truly cared about my stay and comfort. They were able to make great recommendations on dining in the local area.

The hotel itself is nice. Clean rooms and a wonderful staff. The location is noisy due to a intersection with a traffic light about 200 ft away. Being northern Michigan and the temperature in the single digits, it was a very LARGE INCONVENIENCE to have to walk OUTSIDE to get to the pool, hot tub and the front desk as well. Remember that you still need to walk back to your room OUTSIDE after you are wet!!!

After a bad experience a few years back, we have a rule, no hotels under $100. The pictures online looked lovely but I didn't not expect the room to be like them. Actually, the room was even nicer than it's photos. The staff was very warm and professional and get this- real eggs at the included breakfast. Given this is a skiers' hotel, we expected to find it a little beaten up. Not so! We assumed they had just remodeled and were stunned to find out the work was done 4 years ago. It was in in ammaculate condition.

Close to the lake and two very good ski resorts. Beautiful town for an outdoor getaway. Walkable downtown with good restaurants. Hiking everywhere. The lake is gorgeous all year round. A must for old fashioned family fun.

We had an amazing stay at BW of Harbor Springs. Everything was clean and had a very nice appearance. The pool are was perfect and the complimentary breakfast was delicious and offered a lot of variety. Would absolutely recommend and stay again.

We traveled with a large group for a school function, and they took such great care of everyone! The rooms were clean, the breakfast was delicious, and the kids had a blast in the pool! We'd highly recommend this place to anyone needing to stay in the area!

We have stayed here several times and have a great experience each time!!! Friendly staff, very clean rooms and a great location all year long!!! It's close to the state park and several other beaches as well as great places to eat!! Highly recommend!!!

We have stayed at several hotels in this area and rank this BW at the top. The rooms were very clean, the staff was friendly, and after spending several nights in hotels throughout several states this past month, this BW followed Covid protocol better than any hotel we've experienced, especially in the dining area. All items were prepackaged by the staff to prevent cross-contamination, and tables were cleaned between guests. We will definitely chose this BW again in the future.

My daughter and I went to Harbor Springs to do the Tunnel of Trees. We stayed 2 nights at the Best Western in the suite. The room was spacious, clean and had a full kitchen. They also had a full breakfast which was good as well. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We will definitely stay there again and will be making this an annual trip.

From check in until breakfast everything was great! The suite was quite large and comfortable, breakfast offered a good variety and was fresh, every employee we spoke with was kind and the overall hotel was nice and clean both inside and out.

I recently returned from a 2 week trip out west. We stayed at hotels for the entire trip. This was without a doubt the nicest, cleanest, well-cared for hotel that we encountered. You should be very proud of this hotel!

Stayed for two nights. Had a room with an adjoining door to the next room. Heard every word and sound from that room, even normal talking. They became so loud that we had to call the desk to ask them to quiet down at 11:30 pm. The towels are so thin, they are like almost worthless. A slight ordor to the room, but not bad. I had to double up the covers to lay on so that I didn't feel the springs in the bed. The staff was very good at responding to our request to quiet the people next door and luckily that did keep it down after that. The hotel did say they had better towels on order, and did bring us more towels. Way to much money for this motel.

We stayed at this location for the first time while visiting the area. We have not always been happy with other hotels we have stayed at. This location did not disappoint. This hotel has a well-kept appearance to it. It is immaculately kept. Our room was extremely nice. It was well laid out, the decor was perfect and it was very clean. The beds were comfortable. We would definitely stay here again when in this area.

Nicely renovated, front desk staff very friendly and welcoming. Great location for tunnel of trees. Breakfast very good as well. Only downsides were paper thin towels, barely useable and shower took about 10 minutes to get hot only after running the faucet to the sink on hot.

Clean,helpful, competitive with a very happy staff. Very helpful with dinner recommendations. Even got a 10 percent discount coupon for each member in our group. Food was excellent just a mile from the hotel

This motel was clean, tidy and has wonderful staff. Centrally located between Petoskey and Harbor Springs. Their customer service skills were perfect. This will be our new “go to” place when visiting the area.

Large room, very clean, modern and comfortable bed in a great location between Harbor Springs & Petoskey. One story building was ideal plus they had area to store our motorcycle trailer. Staff was very helpful!

We have been staying here every Fall for the past 20 years. They offer the cleanest, nicest rooms. Extremely friendly owner and staff. They are always willing to go above and beyond for their guests. The location is perfect sitting in between Harbor Springs and Petoskey. Close to shopping and restaurants.

Stayed for the weekend to attend a soccer tournament. The staff was friendly and helpful, rooms were clean and comfortable. Only minor complaint was the shower...water pressure was excellent, but no shower door or curtain made for a slightly wet floor. Nothing that couldn't be dealt with, though!

This is a hidden jewel for the Harbor Springs area. Cannot say enough about the service and staff. The rooms are impeccable in comfort and design.Excellent breakfast and choices. Beautiful property and pool.

Absolutely wonderful hotel. Stephanie and Ashley were so friendly and helpful checking us in and out. The room was very clean and updated. The beds were comfortable. The grounds of the hotel were perfectly maintained, everything felt so clean and homey. The “continental breakfast” was great and included hot items too, way more than what you'd expect for “continental”. It was a perfect stay and completely surpassed my expectations. I have never felt so comfortable and safe at a hotel and I can't wait to come back. Harbor Springs and Petoskey are beautiful. Perfect location between the two and just down the street from a wonderful beach.

What a blessing it was to be able to stay at this Best Western in Harbor Springs. The room was clean, bed was soft, breakfast had several options and the pool was refreshing. Most of all, housekeeping noticed my daughter left her bunny behind! They jumped into action and now bunny is on her way home via USPS. Stephanie and MIke really went beyond the typical duty of what you would expect from a hotel. I appreciate the time and effort they took in making sure my daughter would receive her 8 year old bunny back in a reasonable time. Peace and blessing to everyone that works at this establishment.

I typically prefer hotels to motels but gave this one a try and do glad we did. The motel beautifully landscaped and well maintained with beautiful flowers and a fountain. This was by far the cleanest I have ever seen, from the bathroom to the pool to the grounds. I liked that the bed had an enclosed mattresses cover and a mattress pad on top of that. I've never seen that before. I'm paranoid about bed bugs which I did find in a very expensive hotel but I just did a quick check at this hotel and didn't worry about it again. They pay attention to detail and go above and beyond. You won't be disappointed.

This place is a perfect little slice of Americana. A roadside motel from the 60s where you park right outside your room. Every inch of this Best Western is immaculate. It looks brand new. The secluded setting guarantees a quiet good night's sleep. The staff made us feel like family. Very friendly.

Fantastic facilities, beds were extremely comfortable, nice pool area, great location. The only problem was the lady at check-in. She stated emphatically that no alcohol was allowed in the pool area. She said only water bottles were allowed and if they weren't perfectly clear she would confiscate them and we couldn't use the pool. At 69 yrs old I haven't been treated like this for many decades. We talked to several other guests and received the same response: WHAT WAS THAT?

Quiet, clean and close to towns and attractions. Would definitely stay here again. Only 30 minutes from the bridge and only 5 minutes away from downtown Harbor Springs or Petoskey. Nice quiet location with a nice pool and hot tub. Modern and updated nicely.

Wonderful accommedations, very clean. Sofabed could use a new mattress but otherwise stay was very pleasant. Location was excellent! Breakfast items were great! Loved that we had 2 bathrooms and a full kitchen ❤️

Had a great stay at BW of Harbor Springs. Our room was spotless, nicely decorated and had a large walk-in shower. They offered a great 'grab & go' hot breakfast, which was a nice surprise. The staff was very friendly and helpful with restaurant suggestions. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay again if in the area.

We stayed at the Best Westen of Harbor Springs for one night. The rooms were clean and spacious. The reception staff (Jody and Sandy) were so helpful! We were in the midst of a family crisis and they were great!

The hotel is very clean and comfortable, and since i was there at high season, the price reflected it. The value was fine, but elevated. Bed was comfortable. Water pressure was good. And it was relatively quiet.

Would highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Harbor Springs. Conveniently located near bike/walking trails. Very clean rooms and super friendly staff! Lots of outdoor space to be outside. Ample parking as well.

The property is very well kept and every single staff member was friendly and accommodating. Room was very clean and a lovely breakfast offered in the mornings. The convenience to petoskey and harbor springs is fabulous!!! We would definitely stay here again.

From check-in to departure, we were impressed. The outside of the building might look vintage, but the rooms are wonderfully maintained and updated. We opted for a king room with a kitchenette, and it came with a beautiful full kitchen. The decor is lovely and included amenities like multiple outlets to recharge all your devices. The mattress was extremely comfortable and the bedding felt luxurious. We would definitely return.

We stayed in one of the fireplace suites. It was very cozy and inviting. The extra bathroom was a blessing with all 6 of us. I can't say enough about how wonderful Jill and Stephanie at the front desk were despite Covid regulations they made us feel like VIP's. Teresa and housekeeping get a big hug from a 6 year old who lost his prized puppy. They reached out immediately so we could retrieve our precious cargo.

My sister and I stay here at least a couple times a year and are always very satisfied with the clean Lima dinner the staff at this hotel! We have never had any problems at this little hotel and it's in a great location for our needs! We would highly recommend this hotel!

This best western is all decorated nicely, which is a plus BUT the traffic of Hwy 119 to and from Harbor Springs MI is quite loud. The road is very close to hotel and there's a stoplight to BW drive. Traffic stopping and going all night even in off season. Way to loud from autos to give it a 5 Star. Also was not getting breakfast to carry to room when not really warm outside. They could have set up social distancing or different times to eat when checking in which there was only 4 cars I saw the night I spent there. So can't say how food was.

Great customer service. Totally will revisit. Super close to Boyne Highlands! The room was very clean. Happy with breakfast especially considering it was a COVID breakfast. But they had everything I would want to eat.

Hotel was very clean and comfortable. Staff very polite and helpful. Perfect location for skiing and other outdoor activities. The breakfast was freshly prepared with numerous options. Our room was very comfortable.

Staff was accommodating and upgraded us, unbeknownst to us, to a suite, which was a good alternative to house rental. The location of this Best Western is good as it is in between Harbor Springs and Petoskey, and convenient to restaurants, skiing, golfing, and other recreational activities. We did not use the indoor pool, but observed other families enjoying it. It was probably due to COVID-19, but the only sub-par part of the experience was the continental breakfast.

We were in Harbor Springs for a snowmobile weekend and stayed 3 nights. I highly recommend this hotel. We loved the fireplace king suite. The staff was professional and friendly. The hotel was clean and well maintained. They also offered a free breakfast with lots of options. We rented snowmobiles at 231 Adventures that was located across the street. They were phenomenal! All of the employees were friendly and knowledgeable!

We stay at this Best Western whenever possible - we absolutely love it! And with COVID the individual entrances are perfect! The staff is so friendly - they truly go above and beyond. Even offered packaged hot breakfast options and discount ski coupons. Can't wait to return!

Cleanish, COVID safe breakfast, rude staff. Pricey for the what you get. Very close to the ski hills which is nice. Not easy to get back to the front desk when only 1 towel was I room upon entry to get more.

We went snowboarding at Boyne Highlands and stayed here. The location is great, quiet and close to the hill. Pretty clean and the front desk associate was very nice. Clean pool area. Only downside is having to go outside to get to the pool area and breakfast area

We stayed here 2 nights on a family ski trip during MLK weekend. Very clean hotel, free breakfast and super close to Nubs Nob and Boyne Highlands. We stayed here due to previous good reviews and we were not disappointed. We will be back!

Great location, staff and ownership show great initiative in adapting to Covid situation with cleanliness, hot breakfast, open pool/hot tub. Very nice hotel, furnished well. I get the impression that the owners really pay attention to what is going on with the physical premises and do all they can to optimize the property.

The rooms are very clean and look like they have been remodeled in the last few years. The breakfast was acceptable and they served scrambled eggs and Canadian Bacon to go. The location is close to Nubs Nob and Boyne Highlands which makes it very nice for ski trips.

Such a pleasant stay, clean and comfortable! Easy access to skiing, wonderful reception upon check in. Even with Covid restrictions the front desk made as many accommodations as possible to make it seem like we were in normal times!

Front desk was very patient and helpful. Rooms are very clean. Free continental breakfast is excellent in spite of the COVID restrictions. Pool is available and usage is correctly monitored per current health department guidelines. Would definitely come here again.

1st time staying at this property. Friendly staff that cares about you. Modem and very clean. Close to restaurants and the closest lodging to the ski areas. Highly recommended. Parking lot was kept free of snow and walks were shoveled regularly.

Our King Suite was huge with a full kitchen with a dining table, two bathrooms, fireplace. It was like having a condo. For the price it was a great value. We had the windows cracked open for fresh air at night and rarely heard traffic noise. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was nicely appointed.

We rented the one bedroom suite for three people for two nights. There is one large bedroom with two queen beds and a bathroom with toilet and tub and a separate sink vanity located in the bedroom, outside of the tub area. This makes it much easier for people to get ready in the morning. The other living/kitchen room has a sofa bed, chair, dining table, full size refrigerator, stove, kitchen equipment and microwave plus a fireplace in the corner and an additional bathroom with sink, toilet and shower. This was a very large room and would work well for a family. They offered a standard hotel breakfast which we had to take back to our room due to the pandemic. The room was very clean and beds were very comfortable. Everything looked new. It is a one story building so you can park right up to your door. It is not in the hustle of downtown Harbor Springs, but I would stay there again because of the cleanliness and large size of the rooms.

Check in was quick but the woman who checked us in was just rude. God forbid you ask her a question she would snap at you. The next day we called for maid service and were told we didn't get it so we had to go to the front office for clean towels, soap and coffee packs. The woman that day couldn't of been more impatient. For the price you pay here we expected nicer staff and maid service.

We initially booked a room at the Birchwood Inn but we got there and it was awful. It was old, stinky, and run down. We were so grateful that the Best Western had one room left so we took it. This Best Western was very nice. It had recently been remodeled (they told us). It was clean, quiet, and VERY well maintained. They also have a very nice pool and hot tub. Because of the Covid, the dining room wasn't open but they did have "grab and go" breakfast that you could take back to your room and eat. It's a little pricey but it's because of the area. I would definitely stay here again.

I have to admit I was not expecting much from a Best Western but this Harbor Springs owners really have this hotel punching above its normal weight class. High quality linens, comfortable beds, modern decorations and furniture and very clean and well maintained facilities make this an excellent choice and value in Harbor Springs area. The hotel is right on Traverse Wheelway bike path which runs from Harbor Springs to Charlevoix. It is just 5-10 minutes drive from Harbor Springs and Petoskey. Indoor pool and a hot tub that is actually hot were a bonus. Management actually cares about guest experience.

At first glance, this Best Western looks like an older motel, and that may turn some people off. Don't be fooled. This single-story, enter room from the parking lot motel has been recently renovated. The rooms are nicely decorated and very clean. The bathrooms have new fixtures and beautiful tile work. Best of all, the staff is very friendly and helpful. Even during this tricky time of a pandemic, they are pleasant and cheerful. We booked a double queen room that had a microwave, fridge, and mini-Keurig coffee maker in it. The breakfast was better than other options we've had during COVID. We were able to take a turn in the breakfast hallway to pick up oatmeal, hot scrambled eggs and sausage, fruit, yogurt, and a danish. Furthermore, the location of this motel is ideal because it is right in between Petoskey and Harbor Springs. It's very close to hiking trails and Petoskey State Park. Thank you to the Best Western Harbor Springs staff for making our stay a very pleasant one!

This hotel is the best place to stay in the area. I originally made the mistake of initially booking somewhere else. I didn't read the reviews and that was a huge mistake. I was lucky enough to get one of the last rooms at Best Western and WOW what a difference. Trust me. Stay here if you're in the area. Very clean and updated. Plenty of outlets for mobile devices and nice pool. Overall great reviews from other people as well.

I really enjoyed this hotel. The room was spotless, didn't find any dirt when I wiped down the entire room with Clorox wipes. It is also very quiet, even though it is on a busy road. The breakfast offered during the Covid stay was still decent. (Eggs and meat, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, fruit, pastries, juice and coffee) This was a great home base to travel around the area. Day trips to tunnel of trees to Wildterness state park, Mackinaw, Soo Locks, Charlevoix, Rogers city, Cheboygan, and Saint Ignace. Make sure to go to Northwood family restaurant in Oden (about 10 minutes away) then followed by Petoskey state park for sunset.

We were very pleased with our experience and stay at your hotel the staff was beyond fantastic, friendly, and all around great . They took great care to keep us safe and still have fun . My granddaughter who also said at the hotel absolutely loved the pool

The couple we were with did, too. *The negatives: *The beds weren't too comfortable, not the worse, but not our comfort level. *The bathroom floor was dirty, looks like someone may have forgot to sweep and mop...not the end of the world. The positives: *Really updated, very well done, modern looking and new interior. *The exterior is very clean, very well taken care of. *Decent continental breakfast. *Friendly front desk staff We didn't use the pool or hot tub. So we can't comment on that. We would stay again even with our negatives.

Sandy that worked the desk was wonderful. I called ahead around 4:44 pm to let her know we were going to be late checking in. Our family needed 2 rooms. She was very accomidating and was able to get us adjoining rooms. Sandy was very informative of area 4th of July happenings. She was very gracious in allowing my family extra time in the pool after a long day on the road. Thanks Sandy! After swimming and getting settled in for the evening, around 11:20 pm we noticed the room didn't have a TV remote that we could find. I called the front desk and Maurice was very quick to offer to bring us another one. It was a nice evening so I went to the office to get it. Thanks again Maurice.

Spent a lovely 6 days in the area with BW as our home base and it couldn't be more central to our outdoor and town attractions. The hotel is clean and well suited for social distancing. We used the picnic tables for take out and game nights to avoid indoor spaces.

We stayed in a King room has a chair footstool and a couch. Also has Mini bar cabinets separated from sink area. Rooms open directly to parking. Backside rooms have better views and are quieter with a couple picnic tables. The pool and hot tub area looks nice. Only 2 in hot tub at a time and 14 in pool allowed due to COVID breakfast was limited. No hot food or breads. Coffee Smoothies, yogurt and bananas offered Very nicely maintained and comfortable It's super close to state parts and bike trails

Nicely remodeled, staff very friendly, great continental breakfast, and everything was kept clean. Kids loved the pool and hot tub, I liked that the room had a microwave, fridge and Keurig coffee maker. 5 minutes from Nubs/Highlands makes this a great place to stay for ski trip. Would definitely stay here again.

Expectations exceeded! This Best Western changed my view of this chain. The room appears to be recently renovated and was very clean and accommodating. My room had a jet tub which was very new and clean. The front desk called my room 10 minutes after I arrived to make sure The room was ok etc which I thought was very professional. It snowed during my stay and I was impressed once again to see the detail of the snow removal as a path was shoveled to each side door of every vehicle in the lot which I can't say I have ever seen done before. The continental breakfast was a well balanced selection of great items including make your own waffles, fresh eggs etc. the indoor pool and hot tub was great. The exercise room was fine, all one needs to maintain while away. I have nothing negative to report with this place and highly recommend it.

We always get a suite, with fireplace & kitchen area, even though we use neither during our stay. It's just so much more 'livable' when you're on a vacation. The old wood fireplace was replaced with a gas fireplace, a nice change. Both the pool and hot tub had powered chairs to aid disabled into each. Our bed was the most comfortable bed of any hotel/motel we've stayed in recently. If you wish to ski Nubs Nob or Boyne Highlands, this is an ideal location.

Stayed 2 nights for my Ski Trip at Boyne Highlands mountain(Only 4 miles away). Very clean and newly renovated rooms. Friendly and accommodating staff. Defiantly recommend this hotel based on price and location

I spent the night here to do some skiing at Boyne Highlands and Nubs Nob. I had a very nice stay. My room was quiet, clean and up-to-date, the beds were comfortable, and the staff was friendly. I had a good night's sleep and would recommend staying here if planning on doing some skiing in the area. It is only 10 minutes from the ski hill.

Everything was just wonderful. Friendly staff and spotless rooms. Breakfast had a lot of options and everything was hot. We already booked our rooms for net year. This is the Best Western we stay at. Thanks for all your help.

We found the place online. It is a motel so the doors open to the parking lot. Great rate for a 2 bed room. Must have been recently remolded as it was very clean and updated. The free breakfast was better than expected. The pool area was nice and clean as well. The hot tub was actually hot! Just make sure you don't bring anything but water into the pool area.

This is a clean hotel with updated furniture and remodeled bathrooms. Breakfast items are a higher quality than most. Mike is a very welcoming host. A few of my favorite places to eat in the area are the Side Door Saloon for casual fare, Vernales for great Italian.

Good location to ski resorts and pleasantly well kept. Room and bathroom were clean. Enjoyed the breakfast and pool with the jacuzzi. Staff were friendly. Check in and out was fast. Internet was fast and plenty of outlets to charge all devices. There was Ample parking close to your room. It snowed and the parking lots were quickly plowed. The only negative, which is small, would be that you have to walk outside to get to the pool area that is in the main building area.

Nature preserves, state park, ski resorts and the towns of Harbor Springs and Petoskey all within minutes of this hotel. It was an unbelievably convenient location. No road noise, despite being on 119. Walls were a bit thin, but staff was very accommodating in changing rooms mid-stay.

I have stayed at this location a couple of times for business. The staff is very pleasant, and helpful. It was a wonderful breakfast, and the rooms are very clean! I will definitely stay again when in the area!

The Best Western of Harbour Springs was wonderful. I've stayed at 4 BW's and this 1 was the best by far! The rooms were larger than most & very clean. The towels were plentiful & larger & thicker than most hotel towels. The pool & hot tub were clean. They made for a relaxing evening. Breakfast had a great selection. The eggs & sausage were kept full & fresh. The only downside is in the winter the walk back from the hot tub is chilly but there is a changing room at the pool if you don't want to brave the cold in a wet suit.

We had a wonderful conversation with the clerk while checking in. The room was very clean and roomy. We didn't have a chance to use the pool or breakfast, as we were meeting others for breakfast so cannot comment on those. Would definitely stay there again.

Can't control fireplace temp, Only on and off, so don't fall asleep with it on, you may wake up to a heat wave of over 94 deg. Sofa very uncomfortable to sit and watch TV or fire, because of the folding bed inside which made the cushions sink in.

We stayed here one night during our Great Lakes vacation trip. This is a traditional single-story roadside motel, that has been updated. The rate for our room was very reasonable. The front desk staff was friendly and very professional. Our room was very clean, quiet and comfortable. The king bed was comfortable and we had a good night's sleep. There were two upholstered occasional chairs in the room. Our room had a nice bathroom with a tile shower and good quality towels. The Wi-Fi in our room worked well. There is a nice breakfast room at the rear of the motel. It had a good selection of hot and cold items to choose from.

This hotel was great except for the fact that it sits in the middle of a busy intersection. The staff was great, the room was very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was very good. We had the room that was closest to the road so we had a hard time getting any sleep because of the road noise. I would definitely stay there again if I could get a room on the back side of the building.

The complementary breakfast was great and all the staff was very friendly and helpful! When we first got there I was a bit confused because it was more motel style than hotel but it was very nice and clean. The lady at the front desk even called us when we first go to our room to ask how it was and if we were satisfied which I was very impressed with. The hotel room was very modernized and had a great shower. I'd definitely recommend staying here.

We booked this hotel for the pool/hot tub, not realizing that this is a 'motel' style place, requiring us to walk outside to get to and from the indoor facilities. Since we were at the far end of the property, the outdoor sprint in the cool, rainy weather took away the lure of the hot tub, so we never used it. The breakfast room is also an outside walk away, and is pretty small and noisy. The food offerings were good, with a nice variety. There was also quite a bit of traffic noise, since it is right on the highway.

Harbor Springs is our slice of heaven, and the Best Western is our home base. After we first stayed at the Best Western 6 years ago, each year we've looked at other places to stay, but each year we always choose the BW. Price, is good, staff is awesome and the rooms are excellent! The rooms are very clean, well appointed. The staff it over the top. The breakfast is very yummy! The location is ideal. Feel confident in staying at the Harbor Springs Best Western!

This was our second stay at this Best Western. We highly recommend it. Have stayed at other Best Westerns, but this one is the best we have experienced. Location makes it easy to get to restaurants that are not located right in the town of Harbor Springs, however, it is only about 5 minutes to get into town.

BW of Harbor Sorings, MI is one of the best BW hotels we have visited. Completely newly remodeled, the facilities are excellent, particularly at the price point. Family owned, the owner is on site every day making sure your stay is as pleasant as possible. Highly recommend.

This motel is a throwback to the "drive up to your room" place. We kind of liked the convenience of that for moving in and out. It has been years since we last stayed and happy to report the rooms have been completely rennovated along with walk in showers. Hats off to a great staff. This hotel is situated equi-distant from Petoskey and Harbor Springs so you will be in the car to go most places. Given that comment, location is good and close to the small airport there. Breakfast is just average but we would return here again.

This hotel was excellent. Room was extremely clean and looked newly remodeled with updated bathroom area which was very nice. All the staff was great. Beds very comfortable. Breakfast was very good with real eggs. Liked the convenience of all rooms being one level and being able to park right in front of room. Highly recommend this as a place to stay

In general, we like BW. This one looked a little older so we weren't expecting much, but to our pleasant surprise, it was VERY nice. The ladies at the front desk couldn't have been friendlier of more helpful. Mike, the manager, greeted us when we came in the door and visited with us the next morning at b'fast. The room was clean, updated, roomy enough, and the beds were comfy. The b'fast area was a short walk from our room, but the weather was nice so we enjoyed stretching our legs. The pool, exercise area, and b'fast area were all well maintained. B'fast was pretty good, better than average. When a couple came in near the end of the b'fast time, no eggs were available. They mentioned it to the attendant. Within just a few minutes she had prepared a fresh batch of eggs and delivered them directly to the couple's table. I could tell by the woman's face that she was shocked at that kind of great service. As a side note, visit Kilwins while in town to tour the chocolate making and be sure to get some ice cream, too!

1) Rude does not adequately describe the woman at the front desk. Angry would be more appropriate. It was actually kind of disturbing. I kept thinking, she has such animosity towards guests, and she has the keys to our room. 2) Seems to be a family run place, and the family is CREEPY. 3) The place was cleaner than I would expect a crappy motel to be. So, there was that. I'd be willing to say, it was a very clean crappy motel.

The overall hotel, grounds and staff was more than anticipated. Extremely friendly and helpful staff, very attentive to guests. The grounds were beautiful. The overall hotel is well taken care of. It may be older but it doesn't feel older when you are in the rooms. Everything is nicely maintained.

A great surprise! Sandy, front desk, was so incredibly kind and what a wealth of knowledge! It was like a personalized tour from your best friend. Wish we could have stayed longer just to see and do everything she told us about. We will certainly be back and can't wait for the next trip! Rooms were clean and modern and the breakfast was perfect!

My husband and I stayed at this hotel just for one night, labor day weekend. We expected to be crowded and it kinda of was but the staff was on top of their game and handled everything extremely well. It was nice, clean, quiet and in a great location. We'll be back

There is never a bad experience at this hotel. The staff is friendly and goes above and beyond other hotels. It is obvious the quality of my stay is important to them. The rooms are updated and CLEAN. There is a Keurig in each room which makes for a good cup of coffee to get me going in the morning. And each condiment packet has two creamers, unlike any other hotel condiment packets, making that first cup of coffee perfect! Attention in the details makes this a great place to stay.

The hotel/motel was decent. The rooms seemed damp. The pool area was okay though. There breakfast was decent also. Better than others. The room was clean, nice modernish decor. Checkout and check in was fast. Just seems a bit pricey for what you get; however, all hotels in the area are comparable.

I was traveling for work and stayed briefly. The room was clean with nice amenities and the breakfast was great. One thing to note: the hotel is located on a highway and it is easy to hear passing vehicles and motorists from the room.

My husband & I spent a week at the BW in Harbor Springs. The facility is conveniently located between Petoskey & Harbor Springs. Close to restaurants, the state park & lots of golf courses--we couldn't have picked a better location. The facility was renovated a couple of years ago so everything is new, up to date and pleasantly decorated--they did a quality reno. Since we spent 6 nights we opted to get the suite with a living room, stove, fridge and a second bathroom--it was delightful. Everything in our room worked --no problems at all. The staff from the front desk, the breakfast ladies & the housekeeping folks were ALL very courteous and helpful. The breakfasts were fresh (real eggs!) and plentiful--although they did not vary the selections we were satisfied. If you want a gourmet breakfast with lots of variety you can always go out.

Very friendly, accommodating, and welcoming staff! We arrived at 2:00 am, and the gentleman on staff was chipper and very friendly! Rooms were very clean and accommodating. Jackie, the breakfast coordinator, was wonderful. It felt kind of like you were talking to your mom in the kitchen as you ate your breakfast. She asked all about our trip, and made sure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend staying at the Best Western of Harbor Springs, and I know that I will be staying there again one day.

This hotel is great, but there is nothing very special about to to cost $200+ a night. Rooms were clean, breakfast was good. Need to step up their game for being the only hotel chain in the area. Won't stay there again unless i have to.

We was looking for a decent property to spend the night and came across this beautiful gem. The staff was awesome, especially Barb, and the rooms were comfortable and spotless. The property is beautiful and you can tell that the owner takes pride it in. Best Western should be proud to hand their sign there.

This hotel was beautiful inside and out. The room was extremely clean and quiet. We could not hear any outside noise. The location is close to the beach. The staff were nice and knowledgeable about the area. This is one of the best places my family has ever stayed!

This Best Western is very clean. My kids enjoyed the pool (several times) over our 2 day stay. It is centrally located between Petoskey and Harbor Springs and a great value in comparison to some of the inns around.

It is obvious that the staff and owners of this motel take great pride in their establishment and service. We did not expect a pool because it was not mentioned on the website however there is a very Nice indoor pool.

Room was a large size and very nice. Room was quiet, including heat and air conditioning. Loved the open shower and bathroom decor.. Grounds have a very nice outside area with benches to sit on. Front desk service was good. I would recommend staying there. front dest was very cordual I would recommend staying there.

Pulling into the BW it looked like any typical 50's motel on the road. The surprise on the inside of the room was stunning. The modern decor, from colors to furniture to bathroom and shower was outstanding. It truly all looked brand new. The physical plant was straight out of the mid-20th century, but the experience was clearly 21st century! Best BW we ever encountered. The only small negative detail was the gathering of bikers who had their bikes parked right outside the room and sat out well into the night talking, smoking and drinking. Don't know if the motel had any policy about this, but luckily we were tired enough to fall asleep in spite of their presence -- we just didn't appreciate having to walk through the group to get to our room.

I highly recommend this property. It's conveniently located. It has all the amenities you need such as in room refrigerator and microwave and coffee maker. The rooms are large. Plenty of space to store your personal items on and under the bathroom counter. Bed and pillows were comfy. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Plus you get a Big Bang for the buck! In this resort area that's especially appreciated!

Staff was rude and stared at me and my family. Check in was like we were bothering people, and we were the only there to check in. Just rude. As I walked around with my kids who are young adults the staff just stared like they've never seen a mixed couple with mixed kids. We have stayed here before and the staff was amazing not sure where they went, that stay was 2011.

From the moment you step into the lobby you are treated as if you are the only guest. We are always treated with respect by all employees. I truly appreciate everything that is done for their guests. The motel has a very welcoming appearance and the rooms are always clean and comfortable.

Yes, it's technically a motel with exterior doorways and no interior hallways, but it's quite nice. Very clean, it's been tastefully updated, and the staff is great. The “continental breakfast” was better than I expected, with freshly made eggs, sausage, and waffles, along with cereals, breads, yogurt, oatmeal, juices, coffee, etc. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

All staff members go out of their way to make sure I am other guests feel very welcomed and comfortable. They are all here for the comfort of guests. The food variety and quality is also superb! While traveling on our honeymoon, we booked a room, online at a travel site, for the Best Western. Only to discover, when we arrived, that we had chosen the wrong date by accident!! Barb and Sandy at the registration for the Best Western were very accommodating and more than helpful! They made sure we were taken care of and even upgraded our room. Our room was clean, large, and perfect! I will recommend this hotel to everyone I know traveling through the area! This is by far the best hotel stay from our honeymoon and the best Best Western we have been to!

While on a road trip, we were in the area longer than expected. Luckily we came across this motel and were frtunate to get a room without a reservation. The room was clean and very comfortable, nicely decorated, comfortable bed and pillows. We rested well here and felt safe.

We travelled from Minnesota to Harbor Springs, Michigan to see friends. My family and I were dumbstruck by how much we loved staying here. I would recommend you check your preconceived ideas about a motel at the roadside. We stayed in the suite (two rooms) and loved it! We had a full kitchen and two bathrooms (with two rooms). We swam in the pool, we brought carryout back and sat outside on the patio and had lunch. We've stayed in 5 star hotels in Hawaii and California. The room we stayed in at the Best Western really rivaled them all. I have never found a better value. Kudos to the staff and the owners of this facility. A true gem of a find!

We loved that we could park our car outside the door. -The receptionist was very personable and professional. -very spacious room with very comfortable bedding. The hotel was clean and looked nice! The bed was terrible though, and the heating unit was obscenely noisy making it very difficult to sleep... we had a room with a two person tub that was definitely nice to soak in for ONE person, but didn't seem nearly big enough for two average sized people to be in at the same time.

The hotel was well located for my skiing needs and easily accessible from the highway. My room was very clean and comfortable. Since I prefer to sleep with the window open even on the very cold night for fresh air, I was very pleased to find an extra clean packaged blanket to keep me warm. Although I chose not to use it, the room was supplied with a Keurig coffee machine along with a fridge and micro wave.

Seldom will we stay at a hotel with exterior doors for each individual room due to security concerns. This hotel has exterior doors but we stayed and it wasn't a concern here. The service was excellent, the rooms were quiet and clean. The pool and hot tub were clean and easy to access. The breakfast options were good but the dining area a bit small. Staff were friendly and helpful. Buildings were well maintained. Highly recommended.

This Best Western is my 'go-to' hotel for when I go up north to ski at Nub's Nob. It's only 5 minutes away from Nubs, which allows the kids to sleep in a little bit :) The rooms are clean, and appear to be newly renovated. I like that I can pull my SUV right up to the room and unload safely. The staff is super friendly and I appreciate the breakfast in the morning.

This hotel recently redecorated all the rooms and they are great. It's so nice to have a comfortable bed, new carpet and a very clean bathroom! We were happy with the small fridge, and microwave and other amenities in the room. The staff was pleasant and the location is perfect. A great value for our money.

Every person I interacted with was super friendly. The room, hotel, etc., was very clean. Probably the best experience I've had at a Best Western. Will certainly return. Breakfast was good. It's pretty much your usual breakfast, but the food was always fresh and the condiments were plentiful.

We have been staying at this BW when in the Petoskey/Harbor Springs area for a couple of years and are always pleased with all aspects. The price is great value and the property is lovingly cared for by the family who own the site. They are always visible and working hard to maintain the property. Pride of ownership is very evident and makes the guest experience exceptional.

The Best Western In Harbor Springs, Mi is the best hotel we have stayed at in Michigan. The staff goes out of their way to make the visit wonderful. We traveled with 2 other couples and everyone was happy with rooms, pool and breakfast selection.

The owner is a great host and has been every time I use the hotel, The room was clean and ready for for us when we arrived. Check in was fast and the staff very helpful to our needs. Have used this hotel for Harbor Springs trips for several years and have never had any issues.

Overall Nice place. Rooms look to be newly remodeled, Pool and sauna were nice and clean, Good Breakfast with quite a selection of items, friendly staff, comfortable beds. Only issue room had a little bit of a musty smell that we corrected with a $1 air freshner.

This hotel was a last minute stay an the choice was alright. The town was a great place to stay and the motel being a best western was even better as my choice of a motel is Best Western as I been a member of best for awhile. It was a nice motel and I would recommend it to a friend.

We arrived late on a windy/rainy/cold night. It was so nice to get into our room and see a nice big king size and clean /comfortable room. Perfect location for Tunnel of Trees. Great breakfast. We didn't use the indoor pool but it look clean and kids were playing.

Opted to stay at this motel because of the reviews. This really is the cleanest "motel" I have ever stayed at. Everyone was very friendly. At check-in they mentioned (and also had a note on the counter) that they were having roofing work done in the morning. This would not bother us, because we would be gone by the time they started. Their prices were very reasonable so we chose a king suite. The suite was extremely large. It included a kitchen area (plates, silverware, utensils, etc) including a stove, dinning table and chairs, a living room area with sofa, TV and fireplace and even a bathroom with shower and sink. The bedroom was large with its own bathroom and glass shower. The sink was on the outside of the bathroom with great lighting and large mirror. The bed was very, very comfortable and there were lots of pillows. Everything including the fireplace was extremely clean. The decor was very nice and didn't look like it was cheap. They are near the road but unless a load truck went by, we didn't hear a thing. It felt more like home than a motel. The breakfast area was a little small, but they were not busy when we were there and it was fine. They had the usual breakfast items, but it also included some breakfast sandwiches which could be microwaved. They lady working the breakfast area kept everything very tidy, she even took some trash from our table and offered to make our waffles for us. We were offered the express check-out with an emailed receipt. That process went very well also. Every motel owner should take lessons from this owner. If ever back in the area, this will be our go to place.

We stayed for one night, and we paid a fair price. I will admit that when we pulled into the 1960's looking hotel, I was a little concerned. It was very nice to park our car right outside the door to our room. Upon checking in, we received Hersey chocolates, chocolate chip cookies and extra coffee. The rooms were recently updated, and done beautifully. The walk in shower had a glass shower door and a beautiful tile design. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. We were very appreciative of the Keurig in the room. We had to shorten our stay from two to one night, and they were very accommodating to cancel the second night. The lady in the breakfast room was very sweet. They had delicious Panera type lemon bread, make your own waffles, yogurt bar, oatmeal bar, Bob Evans breakfast sandwiches. The staff was lovely. We will definitely stay here again!

This property is truly a hidden gem in a high-traffic tourist area with budget-busting room rates and tired facilities. Family owned for about 40 years, this Best Western is totally renovated with contemporary decor and every modern day amenity any traveler could want...and all this praise from a guy with over 2 Million air miles of travel. This is my go-to place for Up North Michigan trips.

Our visit at this BW Hotel was a pleasant surprise as their rate was very reasonable and the room was so large, so clean, so quiet, and so well equipped. Parking was very convenient and the allotted parking was more than sufficient. This hotel redefines the word luxury.

A nice clean room, well appointed. Sink is outside the bathroom, which took a little getting used to for us. Staff was friendly. Beds and pillows were comfy. There was a littler light coming off the microwave clock and my wife likes it completely dark, so I had to cover it with a magazine. I would recommend a room away from the lobby, if you like to sleep in. There was some noise from the housekeeping carts going by, which woke me up.

From check in to check out I felt welcomed. This is the nicest family and employees I have been around in years. EVERYONE smiles, talks, cares about your stay. I have stayed here many times and have never been unhappy. The rooms are so clean. Each room has always had everything you could want. We stayed in a suite this time and I felt like I was home. Can't wait to go back. We used the pool, the hot tub, the work out room, sat outside and read, and had a delightful breakfast. This owner goes above and beyond to keep this hotel above and beyond what others do. We will make this our stop for our next vacation up north. Thank you for your hospitality.

The air conditioner had a foul order and flies in unit kept me awake along with road noise. Although linens were clean they were worn. Staff were very pleasant especially at breakfast . Very disappointed overall

This is a clean, comfortable, family run hotel just outside of Harbor Springs by the airport. It is very quiet with a great breakfast and pool with hot tub.It has a very reasonable price. I was pleasantly surprised. I can't wait to come back!

Made reservations on line. When we got there we found a great park by your room outside door motel. Great location, Very clean, Staff was outstanding. Room was a king suite with a full kitchen & everything needed, 2 baths with showers, & a fireplace. This was the only place we every stayed in where the owner was in the breakfast area in the mornings greeting guests with a smile & an offer to fix them something to eat or clearing tables so others could eat, never rushing you. We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed every minute.

Friendly staff i have to say that . . Bed not too comfortable specially for someone has sensitive ribs..poor breakfast quality not much to choose from.. blow dryer burn after few minutes of use .. good cable though..

It was very nice to be able to drive up to our room. They were very proud of their remodeling, as well they should be. It was all updated and modern. We enjoyed the hot tub and pool area. Breakfast was good, and the lady maintaining it was very friendly. Good location for downtown, and for the Vernales restaurant, which we had a delicious dinner at that night. The price was a little high, but so were most of the accommodations in this area. There was a shaded seating spot across from our room that was nice to just sit and relax. It was an enjoyable stay!

This was our first visit to North Michigan and first stay at a Best Western. Great staff and clean modern rooms. The breakfast buffet had plenty of options and outstanding staff. Would definitely return.

This place definitely was a surprise in the middle of a country/lake area. Rooms exit to outside, not usually our favorite, but super convenient to packing/unpacking the car! Rooms were beautifully decorated, shower was amazing - gorgeous tile work and glass shower doors. More like a home than an hotel. Breakfast was good, although the area is a little crowded. Would definitely recommend!

A motel in a popular resort area charges all the traffic will bear, and in the Harbor Springs-Petoskey-Charlevoix area of Michigan, the traffic will bear a lot. This place proves it. Although located on a busy highway intersection a goodly distance from the water (or any attractive scenery), and offering minimal amenities for its price class, it gets into your wallet plenty. I'm not saying that you shouldn't stay here, just that you should go into the deal with your eyes open and understand what you are getting. The amenities are adequate, but not exceptional. The grounds are large and well maintained. The showers are quite good, and it's nice that you can park your car just a few steps from your door. There are some special touches, such as cleaning ladies that are about as friendly and accommodating as you'll find anywhere. There are some oddities too, such as door locks that are completely covered with aluminum foil (never have seen that before!). Bottom line: No major complaints, but the place seems inordinately expensive. Rooms 130 and 131 have a connecting door and can be used in suite-like fashion.

Everyone at this hotel goes out of their way to make your stay perfect. I would suggest this hotel to everyone. We have been coming to this hotel for over twenty five years. Can't wait to go back in January for a trip with our friends.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The staff was welcoming and informative about the surrounding area. The rooms seemed brand new and were very comfortable. The breakfast choices were plentiful and tasty. I will be coming back.

There were 4 of us. We had 2 adjoining rooms .My niece and her son stayed next to us. So 6 all together. After you add on the taxes and resort fees this place becomes expensive. For the amount of money we were paying it would have been nice to have a a couple of bars of soap for a shower.. Fortunately, I brought my own bar of soap but I did say something about it and also asked for additional TP. The air conditioner is noisy but did cool the room. We were way in the back so that was nice. This place is right next to an air strip but that was not a problem. We used the table and chairs on the patio several times and it was lovely.The breakfast room was nice and the coffee and selections are good. They have a lady who works in the breakfast room, Cindy. She is a gem.

We had a fabulous time and our hotel was wonderful. Every staff member that we encountered was so nice. Breakfast was nice and we had the pleasure of meeting the owners. What a lovely couple. We will definitely stay here again.

This hotel is only 1 floor so you don't have to worry about lugging your luggage up stairs or elevators. Very clean & well kept. Housekeeping comes around & cleans/straightens every day. They have a single cup Keurig in the room & refill the coffee pods every day! The employees are very friendly & helpful- especially Mike, he's been there for 39 years. If you want to sit outside, you have to sit right outside your door on the sidewalk by the cars. There really is no privacy. They have a small pool, washer & dryer, ice machine, serve continental breakfast daily. The only drawback is that there is not assigned parking so you may or may not get to park near your room and the parking lot is small so if you are pulling a trailer, you have to park it in the back on gravel. It is out of sight so someone may be able to mess with it (someone lowered the front on ours so the back wheels were not on the ground & it was unlevel). There is not much in town but just a short drive away are other towns to be able to go to.

Hotel is located between downtown Petoskey and Harbor Springs, and close to Petoskey State Park. A good place to stay if you want to visit both towns and close to a lot of walking/biking paths. Only minor complaint is shower has no shower curtain or door, only half wall/screen so water would get on the bathroom floor after shower

Refurbished rooms are beautiful and updated! Pool, spa, and breakfast were great. Perhaps best was the welcoming and helpful attitude of the three Staff members we met ... and we were given a great restaurant recommendation for our dinner! A real treat to stay here ...

It had been a while since we stayed at the Best Western of Harbor Springs. Our last stay was more than 5 years ago in the winter for a ski trip. We were very pleased with the updates to the guest room, pool area and breakfast room. The updated bathroom was nice but the glass wall without a door for the shower was not well designed. Water ended up on the floor outside of the shower - slippery and unsafe. Front desk staff and breakfast room attendant very friendly.

So pleased with the hotel. The breakfast includes waffles, cereal, quick heat egg sandwiches, yogurts and breads and sweets. The bed is great. Very comfortable. The owner is present for breakfast and extremely pleasant and friendly. The pool is nice and the hot tub is 102. The area is loaded with things to do. The hotel location is perfectly located between the tunnel of trees, Cross Village and St Ignace. Easy drive to Petoskey and Charlevoix. We will return.

Glad we chose this hotel. We stayed for three days but will stay a week next time. The views were spectacular and it was very relaxing. The pools were great and loved being so close to the ferry. The breakfast was a nice bonus as was the marshmallow roast at night. Loved it here!

Spent two nights here last week. Situated between Harbor Springs and Petoskey it was the perfect spot for us. The hotel itself was also perfect. Nicely remodeled rooms, bathroom fixtures, cabinets very nice with lots of storage and counter space. The grounds were beautifully maintained. A lovely patio with umbrella table and lots of chairs and loungers. In a separate area a really nice playscape. Clean and cozy breakfast area with waffles, cereal, toast, etc. We opted for breakfast sandwiches; they were good. Theresa called us soon after we got to our room to make sure everything was to our liking and whether we needed anything. Really couldn't think of any negatives or improvements. Will definitely stay here again.

Quiet down and out (one level) completely remodeled and beautiful maintained. Very friendly staff with nice amenities like pool, fitness facility and breakfast lounge. Good breakfast assortment. This is conveniently located about halfway between Harbor Springs and Petosky. Nice, secure parking area. Pleasant outside seating area. We plan to be back.

Our family decided at the last minute to spend a few days up north during the week of July 4th. Luckily, we landed at the Best Western! I'll be honest, we haven't always had the best experience with Best Western hotels, but this one is fantastic! Right off of M119, halfway between Harbor Springs and Petoskey, this hotel is incredibly clean, great décor, comfortable beds, and extremely friendly staff. We will for sure stay here again!

My wife and I have stayed here many times. Even though rooms have been upgraded, not all rooms have a walk-in shower as the photos may depict. The room we just stayed in had an older bathtub with a shower head that ways almost too high for a normal-height person to reach. Staff is very friendly, pool and fitness center are clean and up to date. The property always looks very nice. Breakfast is Continental (bagels, cereal, hard-boiled eggs, fruit, coffee/juice, breakfast sandwiches to microwave, etc.) The only entrance/exit is on a curve with a traffic light - be careful to slow down well beforehand if making a left into the property. I've seen a few people almost get hit from behind.

This Best Western exceeded our expectations! It's a very nice one story building with recently remodeled rooms. Room was very roomy. For bike rides the motel is next to the Little Traverse Wheelway & 2 miles fm Petoskey -Mackinaw Trail. Owner and staff very nice and friendly!

Stayed at BW Harbor Springs for Fri/Sat night in conjunction with a wedding. What a hidden gem and delightful stay. Most BW hotels I've stayed in nationally are OK at best. A place to flop, sleep, get back on the road. This one, however, is totally unique. Single story, set back off M-119, VERY nicely remodeled, and just plain comfortable, clean, well-appointed. When we walked into our corner room, I was shocked at how nice it looked. Super nice staff, very nice breakfast bar area. As a pilot it is superb, because it is literally adjacent to the Harbor Springs airport, which itself is a gem in its own regard! G.A. PILOTS: A superb place to fly into for an overnight! Enterprise Rental car not far away. 3.0 miles from downtown Harbor Springs. Avoid the noise, hustle, bustle, hassle of Traverse City or Petoskey and stay in Harbor Springs! Stay at this BW! You will not be disappointed.

Harbor Springs is not Best Western country. It may be the gem of Michigan's lakeside towns, a village of such timeless vintage charm of well-groomed cottages, clubs and associations that it permits its visitors to stare, but not share in its heritage of family privilege and privacy. Its handful of small resorts and overnight accommodations seem to offer their own boundaries, in their own way reminding their guests that they will always be and don't smell the flower boxes. No one really knows why a Best Western ended up in such stuffy surroundings. But its own guests may feel lucky that it did. Located just outside the town beside a two-lane highway that also serves as the village main street, this place is so filled with its own unguarded warmth and hospitality that its visitors feel truly welcomed and not just spectators along a parade route. TA reviewers know that's never easy anywhere: it may have something to do with a couple of family generations who actually live in their adjoining compound year-round and visibly spend their time greeting guests and puttering around the place. They actually treat the hotel as if they owned it, which of course they do; although never in need of a facelift, it recently got one anyway, and the immaculate, fully-equipped rooms are beautifully redecorated in a tailored Sheraton style, like studio apartments. Any land in Harbor Springs is so valuable that even the most imposing bayside cottages sit within a few feet of their neighbors, but this BW has six acres of its own parkland with a courtyard, children's playground, a nicely maintained fitness center, laundry and a community-size indoor pool (remember there are winters and chilly seasons up here, too). The patriarch glad-hands every guest and clearly enjoys his tractor rides around his property like any gentlemen farmer. In short, it is just a restful pleasure to be a part of such scenery. You can always see the sights in town (which now includes a new three-screen movie theatre and all the fudge and ice cream shops you could ever wish for), but this place is always like coming home. There are some advantages in keeping things simple: its roomy wings are still only one-story with walk-up front doors, a welcome return to original motel layouts and a relief from having to navigate through lobbies, steps and elevators. Any complaint in this setting would have to be minor. And so it is: the continental breakfasts are still free, of course, but they are behind other Best Westerns which are now offering just the bare-bones continental, but plentiful, fresh and varying fare too. A Jimmy Dean microwave sausage biscuit is not the best way to start the day. And a tissue box should be in the bathroom, not on a work desk. Such petty points should not keep you from returning to this spot any time your travels take you to the tip of Lake Michigan.

My family has stayed here a few times. The rooms have all been nicely remodeled in the past two years. It's a great location between Petoskey and Harbor Springs so you can stop back to your room for anything. There's a playground and land for kids to run on. The management is very nice. Kind of a hidden secret in the area, we have checked out of other hotels and into this Best Western after being disappointed with the quality of other places. This is a reliable deal for the pricey area.

The rooms were big and comfortable. It is located by the airport and thus is several miles from the city center. For the price, it is an excellent place to stay. The breakfast is fairly standard for hotels of this quality.

We have stayed at this property a number of times...remodeling finally done! The location allows easy travel all around area. We like to drive into the Harbor area and look at the old summer homes. Many good resturants.

This past weekend we invited several couples to Harbor Springs for a card party. The Best Western accommodated all seven couples with great service and very clean rooms. Every member of our Euchre Club commented on how nice the hotel was and the courtesy call they received once checking in. The staff at the Harbor Springs Best Western went above and beyond assisting us with our party. I have also personally stayed at this hotel on previous occasions and shared the same experience and that is why I placed my friends there. Would strongly recommend this hotel!

Best Western Harbor Springs has been nicely updated and the staff really seems to care that you enjoy your stay! The rooms are nice sized with plenty of room for your gear. We had a two queen room. The pool and hot tub area were well kept and indoors. Although, we prefer outdoor hot tubs. Breakfast was continental with pre-made Jimmy Dean sandwich's to heat in a microwave and the other typical items. Doable for a short trip. Hotel seems to be situated between Petoskey and Harbor Springs. Around four miles from Nubs Nob and Boyne Highlands. Also, a short drive to Harbor Springs downtown which is worth the drive. Eat at Pierson's We would definitely stay there again if in the area.

Everything was fine at the hotel. check in was easy and so was check out. Only problem I had was TV issues, which when I called the front desk they told me to jiggle the wire which seem to mostly work. But it also lost signal at some point also which could be satellite issues, but not sure. It was close to Boyne and Nubs Nob which is why I was there. Everything else was fine.

Upon arrival, I was pleased. The room was very clean and looked appealing. There was a working mini fridge (unstocked), a nicely stocked coffee center, and the usual toiletries. They have a cute little play area that we've taken our grandson to before. They also have a little weight room. All looked great. Within half an hour, we even received a phone call checking to see if we needed anything. At night, the troubles began. The heater was so loud that it woke us up every time it cycled on. One of the two beds had an arch in it that bothered my husband. We got two beds. So it was an easy switch. I am not certain why the staff did this, but they put another family right next to us even though there were lots of vacancies. At a little after midnight a bunch of teenagers went running by our windows laughing. The next morning, I heard them getting ready and then leaving. Right after they pulled away, their alarm clock started going off. The next time we go, I will ask for a room with a good heater and bed, as far away as possible from anyone else. For the convenience of being so close to where we wanted and the price, it's good enough.

Very nice location close to Petosky. Rooms are large with parking right in front of your door. Great pool and hot tub in a nice warm atmosphere. Nice new shower in the room,very beautifully drone. Looking forward to making more visits when traveling to this area

Awesome place to stay- very clean with updated rooms.Staff was very helpful and explained everything to us and offered places to eat depending on what we where hungry for. Had a nice breakfast bar with healthy items to pick from.

I was hesitant to book at a Best Western. The ratings were good, so decided to try it. My daughter and family stayed the night we got there and she is super fussy! She said it was good and real modern, just noisy as the rooms are not interior. The pool was closed that day which was disappointing to kids. We arrived and the front desk staff was very friendly and helpful and gave us some coupons for local fare! The room was spotless. The in room Mini Keurig was a nice bonus. There were plenty of towels and hot water. The guy (maybe the owner/mgr) was very friendly and helpful in the breakfast dining room, which offered plenty of choices. Would definitely recommend this place for your stay in Harbor Springs/Petoskey !

Stayed there for one night in February 2018 for a ski trip. Excellent hotel, nicely remodeled, 10 minutes from Nubs Nob and Boyne Highlands, 5 minutes to harbor Springs or Petoskey. Friendly check in and check out. Greatest continental breakfast that I have ever seen. They give you $5 discounts for Nubs Nob. Will be staying there again if we go skiing in that area.

Great location, friendly staff, clean and beautiful room, building and property! Snow removal done promptly. Cleaning staff did and do a great job! Pleanty of parking space. We really enjoyed having outside door access to our room.

The location of this hotel for skiing at Nubs or Boyne and access to restaurants is great. We stay every year for a ski weekend. The rooms are modernized, clean, comfortable. The only negative is the no drinks in the pool/hottub area and they are strict about it!

And ended up staying here only one night instead of the two that were planned and the office girls and very accommodating to cancel the second night. Stayed here Saturday night January 20, 2018 with a total of five ski buddies. Although the room was $170 plus taxes and fees plus the rollaway bed for $15 out the door total of about $200 I feel it was still a very good value and this Room had so much space it was unbelievable. The two queen beds in the one bedroom at it nice sized 40 inch TV or so with a handicap sized bathroom with a lot of space, the bed was extremely comfortable and so are the pillows, the other room I had a full kitchen all the utensils in full fridge ,four-person table and chairs pull out couch and a wood burning fireplace fully equipped with the wood. I talked briefly with the owner and older gentleman named Carl and he was working the breakfast and had 2waffle machine, Jimmy Dean sausage sandwiches and above average fruit. Although no hot eggs or bacon or sausage. The hot tub accommodated seven people and was just the right temperature to Soak after skiing all day at Boyne Mountain. The second night that we canceled was supposed to be I believe about $100 substantially less money for Sunday night and if you can get this suite on a weeknight for that price and goal ski it is a fabulous about value the two room suite is very large and well worth it in the walk-in from your door from the outside no stairs to climb Thank you to Karel and the management here at the best Western of Harbor Springs I will be back with my wife and grandchildren on future ski trips very well run very clean very accommodating set up I don't know why I have not been involved with best Western they have it all over the choice privileges as far as I'm concerned

Friendly staff, clean comfortable rooms, nice continental breakfast, hot tub and pool were well cared for. And it's located a few minutes from Nubs Knob and Boyne Highlands ski resorts. I would definitely recommend staying here.

The room was very clean and comfortable. Rented a Jacuzzi suite for a nice adult getaway, was very impressed with the room. Check in was also very pleasant, the reception (older man and women) were very helpful and cheerful. Would definitely stay again.

Had to stay in town one night for a funeral. Found the room to be very clean and quiet. We had need of an iron and it was available in the room which was very nice. Internet service was totally acceptable. The only drawback is the room opens to the outside and you had to go outside to get to the free breakfast.

Externally, this hotel looked like an old-fashioned style single story building, but what a pleasant surprise inside! It is a new, modern, and extremely clean hotel! I usually never walk barefoot on any hotel floor, but I made an exception here. It was spotless! The breakfast area, equally clean and monitored by a conscientious employee. The price was right on this hotel, and it was nicely located between Harbor Springs and Petoskey.

This hotel is situated a bit off the beaten path, if traveling I75, however it is well worth the short side trip to get here. The location is beautiful, and the rooms are open and clean. No cramped feeling here! The staff are all very friendly, and the grounds are even quite nice for walking. This is certainly one location that I will return to when traveling between the UP and lower Michigan.

Stayed for two nights last week. Our room exceeded expectations. It looked recently remodeled and was spotless! We felt like we must have been the first people to stay in it, it was so clean! Front desk staff were wonderful. The breakfast was not as complete as some Best Westerns that we have visited.

Excellent motel and staff. Rooms were clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly and very helpful with my questions. I have stayed here before and I plan on returning in the future. The motel is in a great location for travel to areas of interest.

Traveling home in the fall this was an easy stopping place to rest and visit friends. The rooms are large and comfortable. A little hard to watch TV from anywhere but the bed. Internet, breakfast and other amenities were good.

We dropped in just before 9:00 PM and, fortunately, there were rooms still available. The staff was friendly and professional. The rate was reasonable for the night. The room was clean, spacious and quiet. The breakfast was hot and covered all the bases for an overnight stay. We stayed there in 2016, was our first choice for 2017 and we will be back on our next visit to the area.

We were only there for one night, so we did not use the pool. We had a suite with a living, dining and kitchen area along with 2 bathrooms. Bedroom had 2 queen beds and the sink for the master bath was in that bedroom. TV in both the living area and the bedroom. Wood burning fireplace in the living area. The suite appeared to be recently updated. The motel is owned by an older gentleman and his son who live right behind it . The lady who checked us in also recommended a place for dinner that turned out to be an excellent recommendation.

Clean, nice folks and great value. Have stayed in many different types os places in the area and this was on par or better thn most. Very nice place, close to tunnel of trees and Legs Inn. The help is very respectful and the Inn is located close to all the other attractions in the area.

We stay at this resort whenever we are in the area. The grounds are beautifully groomed, the rooms are impeccably clean and updated, and the pool area is pristine. The location is perfect for side trips to see the beauty of the area. It is also a great value!

We had a wonderful two night stay in a two room suite with a full kitchen and fireplace. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and refreshing. We will certainly be back for a visit. Worth every penny to stay there.

Really enjoyed our stay at The Best Western of Harbor Springs. Sandy at the front desk welcomed us like old friends,helpfully explaining everything.Two warm,just baked,chocolate chip cookies to boot! We were on our 28th anniversary vacation doing an Northern Michigan color tour so we asked for the king suite. Boy were we pleasantly surprised.The suite really was two rooms,with a full kitchen completely equipped,two televisions,and one full bath and one three quarter bath too! So much space!! Could not believe it had a real working fireplace,everything was so cozy and clean. The bed was nice and comfy with lots of pillows, the heat a/c unit was super quiet. Lots of thoughtful touches,a clean brand remote,k- cup for in room coffee,and an outstanding breakfast too. This centrally located Hotel will be our go to destination for up north visits.

The entire experience from reservation to check-out was efficient and pleasant. The reservationist mentioned that the rooms had been renovated recently. What impressed us the most when we opened the exterior door was the cleanliness and the sleek, modern décor of the room. We liked that we could park right outside our door. The breakfast offered was typical hotel fare, but it was fresh and the attendant was constantly making sure the food was refreshed. What an amazing surprise when we arrived at the Best Western after a long drive and working a full day. Chocolate chip cookies to greet you and two friendly ladies helping us check in. I think with all the upgrades this hotel has done they deserve more than the 2.5 stars we have seen for them. In fact this hotel is better than some of the advertised 3.5 stars I've stayed at. The beds and pillows where super comfortable. The room and bathroom spotlessly clean. The bathroom had more than enough towels and supplies for the two of us and housekeeping ladies were super friendly. The free breakfast was really good. Check out was simple with a friendly gentleman. We will be sure to return here next year on our yearly girl trip.

The Staff at the Counter were very friendly and informative. The room was excellent and it appeared to be updated. It was clean and did not have any traces of smoking in it. Being a Motel, I was concerned of the noises from the highway and adjacent rooms but this was not the case. It was quiet and everything in the room worked as expected. We chose this location because we needed to go between Harbor Springs and Petoskey

This hotel is a very clean, quiet, pleasantly staffed place with great parking, close proximity to attractions, stores etc. Bed was relaxing and felt like home. Spacious room & bathroom. Private with ability to socialize if necessary. Outdoor seating & picnic tables. Fitness room was clean, odor-free and had a variety of equipment.

The hotel has walk in showers (much appreciated), comfortable beds and is very clean. The included breakfast was above average. It is very conveniently located and definitely can recommend a stay at this Best Western.

This is the second time we have stayed at this property, but it will not be our last. This site has been completely renovated, both the guest rooms and the common areas. The staff are very welcoming and accessible whenever you need them. The grounds are very well maintained. We were in the area to golf and there are many excellent courses with minutes of the hotel. We will definitely be back!

What a great experience! This hotel is very clean, modern with the most friendly and helpful staff I have experienced in a long time. It has the charm of a motel from childhood memories but with large, modern rooms with very comfortable beds. Very well maintained. Looks new. They even had a Keurig coffee maker in the room. Harbor Springs, MI is a beautiful location on Lake Michigan which is a place we like to be on our September anniversary. The Best Western Hotel there is exceptional in comfort and cleanliness. The staff was super friendly. We would certainly come back hear again. The off season price was nice too!

Great hotel! Highly recommended. Very clean and extremely up to date. Comfortable mattresses, great amenities in the room like Nice HDTV, very good high speed internet with very secure user name password protected wifi. Walk in shower, they even had a little Keurig coffee maker. All the rooms are ground level so parking in front of your room and getting things in and out of the car is great. Highly recommend this hotel if your in the area. Things that are there that I didn't have time to use (got there very late) pool, whirlpool, laundry including vending for detergent. Next time I plan a trip, if I'm passing through that area I will definitely include this hotel in my travel plan.

The staff was very welcoming, rooms were extremely comfortable, especially the beds, and very clean. On grounds they have play area for children with picnic tables for families. Definitely would stay there again if I was in the area.

The Harbor Springs Best Western is awesome. The rooms are newly updated and beautiful...the staff it friendly & the owners are the nicest people you'll ever meet! The location is perfectly situated between Harbor Spring and Petoskey. Their prices are competitive (usually much better) than other hotels that don't compare in quality, and much homier, friendlier and comfortable than bed and breakfasts we've tried. They offer a "continental breakfast" but they should drop "continental"...they offer a wide variety of choices. We will always stay there when we go to Harbor! Don't hesitate to choose the Harbor Springs Best Western...you won't be disappointed!

This place is wonderful. The staff is kind and always smiling. The internet worked. The breakfast was just what we needed. The Beds are comfortable. The room was clean and nicely decorated. I would recommend staying here when in Petoskey or Harbor springs, MI as both are easily accessed from here.

We were up in Harbor Springs for a long weekend and stayed at this property for the first time. We reserved a two room suite which was very welcoming, clean and equipped with everything we could possibly need, we even had a real wood burning fireplace in the sitting area. The breakfast has a wide variety of choices and the whole hotel was very clean, would definitely stay there again when in the area.

We were pleasantly surprised by the condition and the quality of the finish in our room and throughout the motel. Our room was equipped with a Jacuzzi which we didn't ask for when we booked the room but we made use of with pleasure. So many motel rooms that we have stayed in from the big name brands display poor workmanship on the bathroom tiles and trimwork, etc. This room and the entire motel, was obviously done by people who took pride in their work and used quality products to accomplish it. Our only regret was that we got the last room in the building right next to the highway and the traffic light which provided a lot of exhaust noise every time the light changed. We'd take that to get the Jacuzzi again though.

The recent renovations create a bright, fresh look to the guest room. The outside landscaping is similarly clean and welcoming. The proximity to both Harbor Springs, Petoskey State Park, and the city of Petoskey is perfect. Would definitely recommend!

The rooms were clean and comfortable. The exterior was well maintained. The pool was clean and well taken care of. I recommend this hotel. The only downside, the beds were a little too soft for my taste, but not horrible.

This motel was our home for five nights as we traveled and bicycled the upper part of the mitten in Michigan. It is a typical Best Western "outside" motel that is all on one floor. We felt very safe there and could drive right up to our door with our car. The breakfast room is small and typically crowded. There is a staff member there keeping it clean and replenishing breakfast items at all times. We did have an incident at our room which left a sour taste in my mouth. After the first night we were there, our room was not cleaned up but our dirty towels were removed from the room. When we came back to the motel there was a card on the outside of our door that said "do not make up the room". Since we got in late and were ready to go to bed I waited until the next morning to talk to the front desk about it. I told the front desk lady about it and the owner was there and he told me, "some kid probably switched the card around for kicks--I used to do that." He told me his son was the staff member that pulled the towels off the floor. But if that sign was on our door, what was he doing in our room? Not once did the owner say something like, " I am sorry, that is not what is supposed to happen here"' all I heard was that some kid was the cause of the issue. I will leave it at that--you draw your own conclusions. I told them we wanted the room cleaned every day we were going to be there no matter what the sign on the door said. The room was clean every day and the our interactions with the staff were great.

We spent two days, with our grandchildren, at the Best Western. It was a perfect location for Machinac and the surroundings. The motel was strategically located, making travel very easy. The staff could not have been more accommodating.

We stayed at BW Harbor Springs after two nights in a Holiday Inn Express hotel in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario. All was excellent except for the weak and spotty wifi signal which was very frustrating.The receptionist indicated it was fiber optic, and amenities list "high speed Internet" but the wireless signal didn't get to our four devices in room 135 located in the back of the hotel. The 800 tech support help I was told to call couldn't get the wireless to our device either. I am puzzled that other reviewers describe very satisfactory Internet service. And I would describe breakfast as more than "continental"!

I have stayed here several times. When I go to conferences at Boyne Highlands or other business in the area. They gave breakfast, fitness center, easy ins/outs and friendly staff. If there is a drawback it is an outside entrance and you have to step outside to go to the fitness center or breakfast. I will stay here again as it is significantly lower cost then the nearby resort hotels.

Best Western of Harbor Springs is perfectly situated between Harbor Springs and Petosky MI. The location on the bluff near the airport means you are not too far from anything. We enjoyed the pool with its hot tub.The pool is well maintained and in pristine condition. There are lifts to help those with different abilities access both the pool and hot tub. The flowers added to the ambiance of the property. I would recommend the property to anyone traveling through the area or those we want to spend a few days. Enjoy!

Wife and I were part of the Shoreline West LMB bicycle tour . There was no taxi or uber service in Harbour Springs . Mike the manager came and got us at the middle school and got us back there the next morning . Hotel was clean and fresh and the breakfast was great .

We have stayed in the Harbor Springs/Petoskey area for several years for our summer vacation. We have always traveled with a group and usually rent a house. This year it was just my husband and I and decided to stay here as we were familiar with the location from prior years. I'm so glad we did. The rooms were clean, amenities were great and the staff were extremely friendly, helpful and professional. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of items. I would definitely recommend staying here and plan on doing so again next year. The beds are very comfortable which you don't often find in a motel.

The hotel was very well kept, very clean and the rooms were contemporary and nice. The continental breakfast had a wide variety of items...fresh fruit, waffles, hard boiled eggs, oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, and breakfast sandwiches and burritos that you could warm up.. Very nice sitting areas around the property too. I would definitely stay here again.

This is a one-story ranch style hotel. The room was a nice size for a family of four. Hotel is right off M119 so there is some traffic noise. The room was nice and very clean. Breakfast was pretty standard as far as options go. Hotel staff was very nice. We would stay here again.

As the cost of lodging has steadily risen at our favorite northern ski resorts (and more power to 'em!), the Best Western Harbor Springs has become our preferred place to stay, offering clean, updated rooms at a reasonable price. The included breakfast, and indoor pool add to the value. The staff are consistently friendly and helpful. I like the motor lodge design, with all rooms having their own entrances, on the ground level, with parking at your door. Feels like a local business that we are happy to spend our dollars with.

Haven driven past this Best Western property for many years, I decided to give it a try and was so happy I did. I was very pleased with everything from the room to the beds and the staff. The best remodel of an older motel I have ever seen. The bathroom in particular was gorgeous! Nice sized rooms with quality furnishings. Breakfast was great! The owner himself was helping out with the breakfast to make sure that everyone had what they wanted. Breakfast sandwiches and enchiladas, and other standard breakfast fare. All around, the pride of ownership was so very apparent. The son of the owner is the general manager and told me that it is important to them that everything is neat and clean. He walks the grounds himself picking up cigarette butts and pulling weeds. The most positive experience. Strongly recommend!

This is our second visit staying at this Best Western. The motel is in a great location between Petoskey and Harbor Springs. Our room was updated and very nice. The staff were fantastic. Carl, the owner, talked to us for a bit at the continental breakfast, he even made me my waffle! There was a good selection of foods at breakfast. The pool (indoor) looked nice although we didn't swim. We plan to stay there each time we visit as the price is right, location is great, motel is clean and staff is great! Thanks!

My husband and I visited the Harbor Springs/Petoskey area during the week of July 4th and were scheduled to stay at this Best Western five nights. The motel is located in a good location, it's clean and well maintained, our room was quiet, and the staff was friendly and helpful. However, the room in which we stayed (room 144) the mattresses were terrible as were the sheets, which made it difficult to get a good nights sleep. This is one of the reasons we checked out one day early. We didn't notify management of the bed issue because we were told upon check-in the hotel was fully booked, so we didn't think another room was available. Plus, we assumed all the mattresses/sheets would be the same throughout the motel. In addition, I think they should add another towel bar in the bathroom due to the fact there are not enough places to hang towels, etc., and invest in higher quality bed sheets. The room rate was high for what you get, but the summer season is short in northern Michigan and there are not a lot of places to stay in the area, so the high rate for an average motel is somewhat understandable. Also, the motel is located next to a small airport, but it wasn't an issue because while we were in the room, we never heard the small planes taking off or landing. Overall, a nice motel with a few minor issues in a good location.

Great location near Harbor Springs and Petoskey. Entire property, including common areas are very clean. Close to Petoskey State Park with its great beach area. This was our second stay here, the attention to detail is evident. It's pricy during the season but the season up here is not lengthy. Highly recommended.

The Harbor Springs Best Western is our first choice when staying at a motel in the Petoskey/Harbor Springs, MI area. The rooms and the entire facility are immaculate. Employees are friendly and responsive to needs. We greatly appreciated being provided locked storage for our bikes that got them off our car and out of the rain. We also appreciate that Harbor Springs Best Western is family owned and operated; their care and attention to detail are clearly evident.

Four very comfy pillows and thick linens in the bathroom were provided. I always appreciate extra linens and there were plenty. We had a lovely walk in shower that was awesome. Nice TV. The room was very clean and updated. We had a frig, microwave and cabinet space if you were staying and wanted to store grocery items. We did not hear anyone the two nights we were there. We did hear trucks one morning on the highway. We did not use the pool but it was beautiful and the area was very clean. The fitness room was bigger than most and laid out well. There is also a very manicured playground area with a play structure out back if you bring the kids. The free WiFI also worked well. Breakfast was good with healthy choices such as Greek yogurt, yogurt, boiled eggs and fresh fruit. My husband had the waffles and loved them. Good selection of baked goods and bread along with breakfast sandwiches and cereals. Great coffee too. We will be back to stay again!!!

Front office attendant (Jodi) was excellent, room very clean, and grounds tidied nicely. Like home. Hotel was quiet, and a few miles from where my kids were staying. Hotel was close to highways and the charming town of Harbor Springs.

Nice place to stay for a quick get away. Don't let the outside of the hotel deter you from staying here. The rooms are just as nice as some of the other big chain hotels. The bathroom was modern & updated. We slept well & theplace was quiet even though it was sold out.

My fiancé and I stayed here for 2 nights to get away, and explore Petosky. He travels for work and stays in lots of hotels and he could not get over how clean, spacious and nicely updated our room was. All the amenities are there, fridge, microwave, hair dryer etc. We had a wonderful time we even walked about 7 minutes up the road to a bowling alley/arcade/saloon we had a few drinks and played laser tag and felt like kids again. Definitely something to check out young or old ! My only complaint is that the outside wall/window is thin and we were woken up each morning by other guest packing up there cars and leaving. Not the worst thing in the world as we didn't need to be sleeping in anyways ! We will be back !

Hotel was clean and neat. Bed and room were comfortable. Pool area was perfect. Breakfast was ?? Not much to eat, if you are gluten or sugar allergy sufferers. Would be nice to have a reduced rate for those who chose not to have breakfast.

I stay every year for business at the Best Western Harbor Springs. it's always clean, been remodeled beautifully and consistent in service and overall value. I really like the location if I run to Petosky or Harbor springs town.

Suspect that the motel is an older motel, but it appears that the owners have spent a significant amount of money updating the motel. Room appeared to be recently updated as were the common areas. Attention has been given to the external appearance of the motel. Good accommodations. Probably the only negative is the motel's location because of highway traffic.

This hotel exceeded all of my expectations. The room was lovely, the beds were comfortable, and the bedding was very nice. All of the staff that we met were extremely friendly and helpful. It was convenient to both Harbor Springs and Petosky. Perfect for a girls' getaway.

We travel to and from Florida annually and we thought your breakfast was as good or better than any overnight we've had. We appreciated the ground floor room and convenience for repacking our car. I have other history with the motel site and my wife enjoyed the telling of the story.

We stumbled across this Best Western two years ago and were so impressed that we made an effort to return. We don't understand why this is not a BW PLUS, since it has everything (and more) fo the BW+ that we often stay at. The grounds are amazing. Their pool and hot tub are among the best that we have seen. We had king room with a jacuzzi (did not use it) The room was well equipped with a Keurig coffee maker, a large fridge with freezer, micro, two comfy chairs, good internet connection. The breakfast was complete and included items not found at other hotels. They offered to keep our bicycles locked up overnight ina room! Very, very nice place and great staff. If ever in the area, we will be back.

We were here for a wedding in Boyne City and we have Best Western Reward membership so wanted to stay at a Best Western. This place was very clean and was between downtown Harbor Springs and Petoskey. The rooms are newly renovated and our room had walk in shower which was nice. The breakfast was mainly continental. No hot foods like scrambled eggs or biscuits and gravy or sausage. They did have breakfast sandwiches that you put in microwave but was not that good in our opinion.

Great hote free breakfast nice area great rate would recommend to anyone! Pool was nice staff was great short drive to petoskey and charlivioix and the odawa casino. Will definitely be back to this hotel for sure!

This Best western has been recently renovated and is very attractive and comfortable. The hotel staff are excellent and very welcoming and helpful. We would definitely recommend this Best Western to anyone planning to stay in the area.

Everyone from the front desk to the cleaning crew was amazing. They were very happy, cheerful and helpful. Because we had a late check in they even kept the pool area open late for us. The pool and hot tub were amazing. We can't wait till we can return for another stay. Thanks again to Mike the manger and to Sandy at the front desk and to the rest of the staff for an awesome time.

Mackinaw Island vacation but stayed here based on recommendations of others! Wonderfull property, very tastefully remodeled. Beyond clean, spotless throughout the room and hotel. We would definitely stay here again!

This place was everything great that you've read here already. We checked in kind of late - Around 9PM and Sandy was amazing. We spent about 20 minutes chatting about various items and she was very thorough in info about the area as well as any questions we had. We arrived on motorcycles and she gave us extra small towels to wipe off the bikes if we'd like which has never happened. The room was REALLY nice and really clean. I travel for work and this was close to a newer Marriott room but 1/3 the cost! Very comfy bed and pillows and the room was recently remodeled. Sandy also mentioned that we should talk to Mike about a "motorcycle" wash station that he sets up but she wasnt sure if it was too early in the season for that, but sure enough, in the morning I chatted with Mike and he had it setup in about 30 minutes. Soap, a couple different brushes, a bucket and a few towels with a hose and we were cleaning our dirty bikes (it rained the day before.) Breakfast was small(er) but very good. Waffles, cereal, OJ, coffee, Danishes and a couple breakfast sandwiches. All in all I plan to stay here again. Mike and Sandy made this place feel like home!

This was a place needed to attend a local event. It filled the purpose perfectly with clean room, comfortable bed and good location. In addition the staff was friendly and helpful with directions and recommendations for restaurants.

Wow, great service. We checked in with bikes on a rack behind our vehicle and the manager moved us to a room with better parking to keep the bikes out of the traffic lane, to a lovely king bed room. Super helpful and welcoming. Other arrival staff was helpful and fun to talk to, highly recommend!

First time staying here. Very convenient to Petoskey, Harbor Springs, Boyne Highlands. Lots to do close by. Newly remodeled rooms, very comfortable rooms and s nice selection for breakfast. Will return again to this location next year.

When we checked in we were met by Sandy. She checked us in and was the most friendly, personable, and knowledgeable about the area lady I have met in some time. She was a joy to encounter after such a long drive. The room was nice, clean, and just what we were looking for for a quiet weekend getaway.

I have never been a fan of Best Westerns but this one is excellent. The rooms are large and the beds are comfortable. Staff called after we got into the room to make sure that everything was ok. The included breakfast is more than what I think of as continental with a waffle maker, hardboiled eggs and yogurt bowl ingredients. My only criticism is that strident Fox News was playing on the TV in the breakfast room each morning.

Fantastic Hotel & Staff. Clean, comfortable, great location. Great upscale coffee makers in rooms. Bigger than usual mini-fridges. Great location. Owner & Staff clearly care about the hotel & their customers. I tell everyone going into Northern Michigan to stay there if they are in the area.

First the room greatly exceeded my expectations.The rom had a keurig coffee maker,WOW! The king bed was really comfortable. The staff we dealt with very friendly and accommodating.The complimentary breakfast included a waffle maker, selection of cereal, breads,rolls, juice and of course coffee and teas. Even though, we were near the road, the room was quiet.Needless to say the housekeeping was immaculate. The only criticism I have is the water, although warm, could have been a little hotter. More towel hangers would have been added. Overall it was an awesome stay. I am an airline pilot and have stayed in hundreds of rooms over my 38 + years and I must say this property was stunningly overwhelming for a Best Western, which in my mind puts Best Western up the scale of a Doubketree or MARRIOTT property. Enjoy this motel it will surprise you and Inam sure you would return when in the Northern lower area of Michigan! Also, a beautiful indoor pool.

My husband and I have stayed at almost all of the hotels in Petoskey. We prefer the Best Western hotel in Harbor Springs. You can always expect the accommodations to be clean and the staff to be friendly. We have never had a problem at this hotel.

Jetted tub, refrigerator and microwave in the room. Comfortable bed, parking right outside my door. Off the beaten path a bit (not too much traffic) but close to everything you want to see in the area! Wonderful place to stay. Breakfast was a little blah but most hotel free breakfasts are!

I stayed here for a single night with my son for a one day ski trip. The staff was very friendly. The rooms are accessed from the parking lot. It was a REALLY cold day so walking outside to get to the breakfast area, and the pool had we used it, was NOT fun. So keep that in mind if you are staying. The breakfast room was nice, and it was clean. I had wished they had more selection such as sausage, eggs, etc. They had pre-packed breakfast sandwiches, and the typical continental layout. I would stay here again for a night or two, as it is really close to Nubs! But, I think I would look around too for someplace indoors with a better breakfast. I certainly felt that I got my money's worth.

Best Western has changed their logo and their ability to allow their locations to be comfortable. I have stayed at the BW of Harbor Springs for almost 30 years now. Owners are great!!!! Corporate, shame on you!!!! Corporate forced owners to remove a table and 2 chairs from rooms and replace with 1 small chair with a foot-stool the size of 2 shoe boxes taped together side-by-side. How many people sit on shoe boxes tie their shoes? ZERO! Now imagine 1 chair for a 2 person room? Especially one with an indoor Jacuzzi? Not very romantic? Shame shame shame on BW Corporate. It's all about the $$$ and not customer's experience! The Harbor Springs hotel relies on tourism (skiing and site-seeing) and Corporate just took away part of its comfort, hospitality, and style.

Rooms very new, pleasant spotless decor. Nice Green Mountain Keurig coffeemaker in room. Fabulous included breakfast with DIY make your own waffles, cereal, oatmeal, hard boiled eggs, assorted breads/pastries/yogurt & coffee/tea/juice from 7-10. Our room had comfortable plus size mini fridge, 2 queen beds, table & 2 chairs plus desk/chair. Fast wifi. Very convenient to Harbor Springs, Petoskey attractions. Can't beat the value for the price! Would stay again for sure.

Great motel with friendly workers! The rooms were recently renovated and look very modern and neat. Love the updated, tiled shower! The continental breakfast is good, make your own waffles are always a hit. There is also a nice pool area for the kids. The motel is in a great location for snow skiing, cycling, and sightseeing. For cyclists- The Little Traverse Wheelway is right behind the motel, and there is an area at the motel for bicycle storage. The Little Traverse Wheelway is absolutely beautiful. It runs through Bay Village, Petoskey, Bay Harbor, and Charlevoix. The Best Western is in a great location for using the Wheelway.

Stayed for one night after skiing Boyne Highlands and before heading to Nubs the following day. I must say, if you do not mind the fact that this is a motel (exterior corridors) it is a rather nice place. All common areas and the room appear to have been recently renovated. The room was much nicer than the one we had the night before at Boyne. Super clean and really I could not find anything to complain about. After staying at the HIE, Hampton, Boyne and Apple Tree over the past few years I would suggest this just might be the best place to stay in the Petoskey area.

Every thing you could possibly want or need is available in a moment's notice from these accommodating people. LOVE the Best Western in Harbor Springs. In addition it is nicely located close to any activity, but not in a busy area.

I spent three months on a project in Harbor Springs, MI and stayed at the Best Western there. Mike and his staff helped make my stay more enjoyable and less stressful while I was away from home. Sandy and the rest of the desk staff were always ready to offer suggestions on where to go to eat or just relax. Their knowledge about the area was superb and suggestions always spot on.

My sister and I were immediately impressed with the beauty and cleanliness of this hotel. The staff were amazing, so very nice. The location is perfect, very close to the scenic Tunnel of Trees drive and to Petoskey. The pool and hot tub area was incredibly clean and the hot tub did not have that strong chemical smell that burns your eyes just walking near it. IT WAS FANTASTIC. It was large and deep, with just the right height for sitting. WELL DONE! We will come back next year for sure. The breakfast was great and again, very clean kitchen area. The owners have done some wonderful updates!

I have stayed at this best Western twice now and it is always clean and comfortable. The hotel has vary comfortable beds. the location is also very convenient to both Petoskey and Harbor Springs and the bike paths.

Very clean and updated rooms. All seem to be brand new. Suites are amazing and worth the cost for a few nights of "feeling at home." I would recommend this hotel to everyone planning on going to the area

We stayed at the Best Western of Harbor Springs. Surprised to find such clean modern bathrooms. Obviously recently redecorated. While there was not a bar/restaurant in the hotel, we were given great recommendations. Would recommend.

We have stayed here on several occasions when we visit northern Michigan. It is one of the best motels in the area, especially for the value. Each time we have stayed there, improvements have been made to keep it very up to date. The rooms are always spotless, linens are always fresh and like new and the beds are comfy. The pool area is pristine with the cleanest hot tub I've ever seen, consistently. The breakfast area again shines with cleanliness. There is a nice variety of offerings to start your day off right. The grounds are well kept and beautiful year round. This is a great place to stay to visit all of the great attractions in the area, including The Tunnel of Trees, Mackinac Island, Cross Village, Petoskey, Charlevoix, and the Boynes. Can't wait until next time!

Stayed at this hotel (room 131 and 132) in October. Great quiet rooms with a very helpful and nice staff. The rooms have been renovated and were very nice. Nice job on the bathrooms. They were updated and very modern. The showers were fantastic! They were a walk-in shower no tub. So for families with small children you may want to make note. Keurig coffee maker in the rooms, which was a nice touch. Highly recommend staying at this hotel.

We stayed in one of there suites. It was fantastic fireplace, complete kitchen and two full bathrooms. Very convenient to the Tunnel of Trees. Very friendly staff. We would definitely stay there again!!!!

We were looking to do some biking and color touring in northern Michigan. This hotel is in a perfect spot close to everything we wanted and yet outside of the hustle and bustle of a tourist town. It is all one level and we were able to park right at our door, which allowed us to keep an eye on the car and our bikes! Price was a bit higher than we like to pay, but considering the area and the Fall Color Season rates were in effect everywhere, it was not out of line. Especially for such a modern, clean, and well kept property. Great Job folks!!

This motel is a good example of why we choose Best Western whenever possible on a road trip. Check-in staff very friendly and helpful. The room was up to date and very clean. The bed was very comfortable. The location was great for a fall color tour. Highly recommend.

The hotel was decent for the cost. We booked through Priceline, which saved a lot of money, but in doing so, the hotel management treated us a bit as second class. Did not mind too much was not there for the hotel. The shoreline is incredible. Visited the towns of Harbor Springs, Petoskey, Bay Harbor and Charlevoix. Each quaint town was enjoyable. Petoskey Brewery had a fantastic hamburger with an olive spread. Mustang Salley's in Harbor Springs had one of the best breakfast dishes (incl smoked salmon) "i've ever had. Original Pancake House in Bay Harbor was great as well, plus it is a nice area with some nice upscale shopping. Can not with to head up there again and again. People are very friendly.

The room was clean and updated, I like that the rooms were directly to the outdoors. The shower was pleasant and breakfast was good. I would stay here again. It is in a decent location if you are looking to see beautiful scenery.

My husband and I recently stayed here so we could see the fall colors. Front desk staff was wonderful at check in. They even called the room once we settled in to see if everything was to our liking. The room was spacious and recently updated. New carpet, tile and bathroom fixtures. Location is perfect for visiting the Petoskey area. Plenty of parking.

We had a very good experience with this motel. Front desk, breakfast people and ladies that clean were all very friendly. Also talked to the owner. Always a very nice and convenient place to stay. Breakfast could have offered eggs, bacon or other meat . Also the breakfast area is very small and crowded during the breakfast time.

Have used this hotel before when we are in this area and we highly recommend them. Very nice rooms, especially remodeled bathrooms, loved the walk-in shower. Indoor pool/hot tub are great. Close to restaurants, Petoskey State Park, short drive to Mackinaw City, etc.

The hotel was nice and the service was even better. It is in a great location to the tunnel of trees and Petosky. I would recommend this also for those that have difficulty walking as you can pull right up to the rooms.

Pleasant staff at this budget motel in an area where you won't find many budget motels. I got mine through Price line for $65/night midweek early October. Standard free continental breakfast , clean room with walk-in shower, nice pool and hot tub.

Very nice motel. Friendly staff. Nicely located between Petoskey and Harbor Springs. Nicely located close to the bike and running path. Easy to find. Staff was helpful in recommending places to eat with some history of the places.

for a hotel/motel in the this price range, I think we got more than friendly service and sincere, special efforts to create a great experience. Missing items in the room were brought to us quickly. check out was easy and happy. cleanliness superb. Breakfast was done well for what it was.

What a treat! Clean. Modern. Affordable. My only complaint was that the bed was a bit soft, but this is personal preference. Everything else was perfect! It is close to M119 and perfectly located between Petoskey and Harbor Springs.

Best Hotel for the money in the Petosky/Harbor Springs area. My go to hotel when we golf Bay Harbor and Boyne. We come from Tampa Florida and I never look to stay at any other hotels. Rooms are remodeled and clean. Very convenient location.

My friend and I plan an annual weekend for a home tour in the Petoskey area. Normally we stay at other prominent hotels. Since all of the hotels in the area were booked, we tried the BW of Harbor Springs. I'm so glad we did! Everything was well organized from the check-in to the breakfast. The room was clean with a great deal of space. I will definitely stay again next year.

We drove on past Petoskey and stayed overnight at another Best Western right between Petoskey and Harbor Springs. Very interesting observation = there appears to be a paved walking / bike trail all the way between Charlevoix and Harbor springs (good 25 miles). Best Western of Harbor Springs (very nice accommodations with a Jacuzzi in our room). Neat thing about both yesterday's Best Western and this one is everything is brand new and well appointed. The only down side for the pool at this location is they do not allow any liquid refreshments in the pool area. Giving this place a 4 hinge rating (scale of 1-5).

A gem in Harbor Springs. Very clean rooms and grounds. very friendly staff. Family owned and operated. Owners are on site daily and want to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. I recently stayed here while on business. Can't say enough about this property.

Making the reservation was okay. We were lied to right away because we mentioned that we would be getting there later because we got out of work at 5pm and the front desk lady said "Well you better not be too late because our office is not 24 hours, we close the office at midnight". Her operating hours obviously because when we did check in around 9:30pm the a different front desk girl said if we had any questions they were open until 2am. Then the conference that my finance was at was running later than expected so I called the front desk and asked if it was possible to check out later and the first desk help lady we made reservations with said " The best I can do is noon because I have people waiting for that room" but it was super degrading the way she said it. Terrible customer service. Spend your money elsewhere where they value you like a paying guest and not an inconvenience. Other than the front desk worker, the room was clean and the bathroom was updated. The breakfast was okay too.

Best stay experience, period. Staff is excellent, room was perfect, view was amazing, pool as sparkling, clean, clean, clean, the best! Did I say that? Yes! St. Ignace is a working port town and very historical.

the Best Western on a holiday weekend was very hospitable and Clean Clean Clean. the location was easy to find .the Breakfast was fresh and available early at 6 AM . the parking lot was new and landscape was well kept ,

We needed to stay a night after a golf tournament & this was the most reasonably priced option. We're glad we chose it! The room was spotless & very modern! The breakfast area was spotless & very updated as well! We are big fans of the homemade waffles offered at places we stay & they had a great little station complete with fresh blueberries! We will definitely stay here again next year!

I've stayed at this hotel twice in the past year, once by myself, and once with my fiancee. Both stays were booked through priceline and the prices I'm giving include everything. Both stays were during the week and not on a weekend. The first time, with my fiancee was great! It was March, 2016, and we just took a relaxing trip to northern Michigan to look at real estate. The room was very nice and comfortable, and even though its on a busy corner of 2 highways, the noise from the road at night was not that bad. We stayed 2 nights and the average price was about $60/night with all fees and taxes included. The 2nd time I was by myself in mid-may 2016 and though the room wasnt as nice and was closer to the road, the noise was still not a problem. The cost that time was $68. Still very reasonable. I stopped in on a Monday night in early August just to see what they were charging and they quoted me a price of $180!! I'll go out and buy a tent and sleeping bag and stay at a State Park before I pay that much for one night in an above-average hotel!! At least I get to keep what I bought afterwards. They told me "this is the going rate!" Yeah for suckers! Anyways, this is very common among the hotels in northern Michigan. I then proceeded to drive to Gaylord and got a nice room at the Baymont Inn for <$100. Lesson learned. This is a nice place and the pool and hot tub and breakfast are a great value, and if you like paying through the nose you can stay here in summertime too! PS: If you get Carol at the desk, she is very friendly and helpful.

We went north to bike and stayed here. Very nice room that was clean. Good location as well. The area is busy In the summers. Would definitely stay here again. We had a king bed with jacuzzi. It was also quiet.

Very clean hotel with OUTSTANDING customer service! The continental breakfast also was great and exceeded my expectations! There was also a very good restaurant (Polish Kitchen) for dinner - within easy walking distance, and the hotel is a very short drive from all the good stuff in Harbor Springs.

The location is what we were looking for.....close to the Tunnel of Trees. Since we had a truck with a trailer (motorcycle inside), we chose this motel because of the large, open, flat parking lot. The staff was very accommodating with the parking and we had a clear view of the truck/trailer. We were absolutely gouged on the price of the room ($269) for the first night. Really......its an old motel room with a cheap remodel job. There were no shelves or anything to set things on in the shower. The hot tub does not have grab bars and is very dangerous to get in and out of. The bedspread and carpet are dark and drab. You can see daylight through the door opening. The room did not have a warm feel to it at all. The room was SUCH a disappointment for what we paid. Honestly.....we paid the same amount for a posh historic room at the Island House on Mackinac Island. Shame on the "family owners" for gouging guests like that. There are plenty of other places to stay.....thank goodness!!

This is a family-owned facility and very well kept. Extremely clean and recently updated. We have stayed here for the past five years .Breakfast is standard hotel breakfast, well stocked. Employees are willing to fulfill requests promptly. All are friendly and willing to help make your stay pleasant.

We have stayed in a few Best Westerns in our travels, but this was absolutely the best one we have stayed in. The staff at the check-in counter were very polite and helpful, and the room was fantastic (especially the shower and the area of the bathroom sink. The bed was very comfortable, and we enjoyed walking on what looked like brand new carpeting. The room must has recently been renovated, because everything looked '"fresh" and clean !

This hotel was a great place to stay to explore the Harbour Springs area. The room and grounds were spotless. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The kids loved breakfast making waffles the fresh blueberries were a great touch.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel while traveling on vacation. Positives: everything was new, rooms were large and clean, breakfast included, helpful and polite staff, keurig coffee maker, hairdryer that worked extremely well. Negatives: doesn't allow pets, need someplace to put soaps and things in the shower (only one tiny shelf). We would definitely stay here again!!

We have stayed multiple times over the past few years and this is a great location and excellent value for Petoskey / Harbor Springs. Excellent, comfortable rooms; clean and neat property, great staff and located in the middle of all resort area activities. It's the only place we stay and I'm a Marriott and Hilton member.
