When I travel it is usually with a large group, the company books 10 to 20 rooms depending on the event location and we visit the same cities about twice a year using the same hotels. At times we arrive at the hotel before the published check in time, rooms are not always ready but as they become available the hotel will check us in. Here the rooms where available before the check in time BUT in order to get our rooms before the published hotel check in time we would need to pay $75.00 per room. The hotel is under renovations although this wasn't a factor of my poor rating.

I had an infuriating experience with this hotel regarding my reservation for a business trip. The staff was very rude, uncaring and sarcastic. The attitude of the management trickles down to the staff here. The Assistant Manager was the worst. I will never stay at a Best Western again.

Condensed version: checked into the hotel. Went up to my room. Checked wireless signal. 1 bar on both my windows and android devices. Then, the signal dropped off and I was disconnected. Called the front desk. They would do nothing. I asked them to check the connections on the 4th door. They said that all of their phones are working so the wifi must be fine. They gave me a number for their IT company (Tech Gurus) to call. Then the IT company starts blaming my device as it may be having an issue with the certificate from the forewall. So, both my windows computer and my android (linux) phone are having the same issue? Sounds like the only thing they have in common is their physical location and the hotels firewall. Strange enough that the neighboring hotel's wireless is stronger than the hotel I am currently in. After he rebooted the access points, I have 1 bar again. Since when is it the responsibility of a paying guest to investigate, troubleshoot, and call to resolve network issues at a hotel? Side note. Floor is covered in sand. All floors are laminate, and they are under construction. Sand everywhere.

"Rude, misrepresented, and disappointing"

My stay at this hotel was disappointing to say the least. Upon arrival the doors are held open with strings! The desk was friendly enough until you had an issue.They have you sign a paper stating that you can check out if the renovations are an inconveniece to you. By the time I got into my room and then walked the property (only to find the fitness center, which I needed, was non existent, the floors were covered with cardboard and tape, and the furniture in the lobby was filthy with holes) I was told that I could not get a refund because it had been more than 5 minutes since I checked in. It had been 39 minutes. I was trying to find another hotel and get out of there. The front desk argued with me in front of other customers and told me that I could leave but would receive no refund.Just rude! There was no trying to make things right, discount or even an offer of anything to make the situation better. It was like too bad, deal with it. I have contacted customer service with no help from them. Awful service. I have stayed in other Best Western Plus hotels that were excellent. Don't go to this one!!! And I will not continue to support the brand if customer service cannot step up.Also, the pictures online are not what it looks like.

Was a great stay loved the lady at front desk after 3 pm. the 14th she gave us a great restaurant to eat at and she was always friendly and smiling. The elevator was done on the way put but other than great we enjoyed it and hope to come back

"Disappointing Guest service"

I was treated very rudely by the manager rushde at the best western plus in high point this week. I overslept and went to take a shower at 11:05am, when I realized there was no water in the shower. I called the front desk to tell them about the situation. The manager rushde told me that check out time was 11 and he would not restore the water to the room. He also told me that at 10:45am he realized that I was still in the room, but he never considered giving me a courtesy call to let me know that the water was being shut off!!!! I understand that check out time is 11am, however, I would expect that good guest service (not to mention human decency) would allow him to restore the water service to me. This facility is fine, however, this is the place where good guest service goes to die. Avoid this hotel!

"Disappointed Stay"

Best Western Plus is usually one of our favorite places to stay. However this time for our entire stay the elevator was out of order. Horrible since we were on the 4th floor and recently recovering from knee surgery. The staff and owner did absolutely nothing to try to make this situation better for us. Not happy how they value there reward members.

Stayed one night at the hotel, was not at all up to Best Western Plus standard. Left my shirt there, and front desk manager refused to help in the least to find it when I called. Very rude and hung up on me. Didn't care in the least, and wouldn't even ask house keeping about it. Will not stay at this hotel again.

I had a very brief stay. I was just staying here for a couple of hours until it was time for my flight. Check in was quick and easy. I checked out about 4:30 am. Although it was early, the lady Chelsie at the front desk was very energetic and sweet. We had a lovely conversation. Would definitely come back. No frills and comfy.

"Terrible Director of Sales"

I was just asked to leave bc the front desk lady at 2am didn't put down that I needed a late check out. Also, I have CLC which gets me a 24 he period for things just like this. Worked from 4AM till 12 noon, travelled down from Toronto, delayed flights to Greensboro and check in at 2AM. "No problem" she said. I get a knock on my door at 11 AM for housekeeping. I said I had a late check-out. I immediately get a phone call from the front desk asking me to leave or pay for another night. I explained CLC contract, he said ours doesn't have that. I call CLC and yes, he was wrong. I said I was also a Platinum Best Western member and I get a late check out with that too. He said it didn't matter. He said he will just go ahead and charge me for another day. "No you are not", I said. " I was call the Authority to come get you out then". That was going way too far. The only thing I did was eat a quick breakfast and sleep there. I didn't have TV loud or jumping on the floor. Rushi Patel is Avery poor example of a sales director and Payal Patel should educate his employees on their contracts. I contacted Best Western customer service and placed a complaint to them also. PRBGP Hospitality needs some help in the Director of Sales position who just happened to be running the front desk. I will not stay or recommend this place ever.

All of the staff were friendly & helpful. The room was clean & well stocked. The free breakfast buffet had a good variety of food & always had abundant amounts of food available. There was a nice dining area.

"No Housekeeping Service"

After driving over 5 hours, we were ready to check in and relax. Upon opening the door to our room, it was obvious it hadn't been made up. Bed was unmade, trash in trash cans, dirty towels, etc. After going down to desk, we were assigned another room. Next morning we had an appointment and came back to our room about 1 p.m. and no housekeeping yet. When we left the room at 5 p.m., we saw housekeeping in the hallway and assumed that our room would be cleaned shortly (even though it was 5 p.m.) When we returned about 10 p.m., our room had not been touched. No clean towels, no trash picked up, no beds made, nothing. Had to go down to the desk and request clean towels. Not what I'm used to from Best Western. Breakfast left a lot to be desired also. Only waffles offered were blueberry one morning and blackberry the second morning. What happened to plain waffles? No eggs the first morning and the eggs that were there the second morning were not edible. With so many other hotel offerings in this area, I would recommend that you stay somewhere else.

"I cancelled my visit- no refund!"

There are two Best Western Plus hotels in Greensboro, NC. I accidentally made a reservation at the one by the airport which was the wrong Best Western. I called and cancelled it a few hours later. 5 weeks later I get a bill for $248. Since they have no record of my cancellation, they will not refund my money. They never bothered to call me if they thought I was a no show. They did not even offer to only charge me for one night, instead of the two! I did not stay there, did not cost them any money and the manager, Rushi was rude. A retired teacher does not throw away $248.

We had a lovely stay. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. The staff was attentive. When a problem arose that was partially our fault it was promptly taken care of. I highly recommend this hotel.

We came to visit family and, unfortunately, had to pay inflated prices because of Furniture Market. The room was clean but not well lit. Toilet paper holder was hanging off the wall and the bathroom floor grout was in desperate need of cleaning. Housekeeping did a very good job servicing the room. Wi-Fi was sporadically difficult to log on to. We appreciated the table of snacks and bottled water in the lobby. Breakfast was OK, enough choices, but when they ran out of coffee (more than once during our stay) we could not find kitchen staff. The night before our departure, we signed up for a shuttle to the airport. In the morning, no shuttle. No list of shuttle appointments. The desk had to scramble to hire a car at the last minute. It was unbelievably dirty and the driver had both hands on his phone while the car was moving! The staff we encountered were mostly friendly and helpful, but some seemed like they didn't want to be bothered. I do wish I could have written a better review, but this is an accurate description of our experience.

Noisiest hotel I've ever stayed in, and front desk was part of it! Jet noise continuous until 1:OO a.m.; called front desk about 12:45 asking how long they keep going over. Answer; should quiet down about 1:30 for four hours. Asked for ear plugs; will check. Finally asleep; 30 min. later desk calls to say no ear plugs. 3:30 a.m. desk calls to see if I had a wake up call. NO! 4:30 a.m. auto wake up call rings. Forget this place at all costs!

The best Western Plus is a clean, new property in high point, NC. The staff is very helpful and courteous and go out of their way to ensure that you have a great stay. the rooms are very clean and they have exceptional black out curtains .one odd point I noticed was the absence of towel racks! There is no where to hang your hand towels and just a door hook for bath towels .

Just don't believe what you're told. I paid $185 for a supposed two room suite with a door between for privacy. It wasn't. One big room, opening between. Bath is divided at the room entry. Very awkward. Bad layout, tile floors, sparsely furnished. The worst was tv placement as far from the bed as possible. Tiny little flat screen that could hardly be seen or heard from the only bed. Poor choice for my family.

"Disputing additional charges"

Upon check-in the blinds were not working in my room and fully closed. Asked front desk (fyi, none of the employees wear uniforms) and told no other rooms and will send up maintenance. Maintenance arrived and accused me of cutting the wires on the blind battery pack and antenna. Maintenance then explained they were just in the room checking the blinds and they were find - seemed a little odd. They could not fix the blinds, so two days using a cup wedge to hold open. If that was not bad enough, after checkout I was charged $400 for damage to the blinds!!! Very angry and disputing with cc company. Hotel was filthy and going through remodeling. Avoid.

"Agree with Terrible Review Title!"

I second that review. In town for a soccer tournament. Location was selected due to location between two field locations. Returned from Saturday games at four and room was not cleaned. Had already had to request maintenance unclog the tub drain. This was done but it was left dirty. Saw the maid in the hall as we left about thirty minutes later and reminded her that our room was stilll not made. Got back at 9pm and it was still unmade. Went to desk and guy there asked if we had left a do not disturb on the door. No apology, just a toxic attitude. Asked for move to clean room. Informed that they were full. The parking lot was half full so I knew that was a lie. Gave us clean towels and sheets. Still no apology. I gave the hotel a bad review on their website. The GM sent a half hearted response about the misunderstanding. Their was no misunderstanding. I am still waiting on a call from “corporate” which was where the guy at the desk suggested I call. I suspect Hell is freezing over.

"Uncomfortable beds"

So to sum this up quickly, the beds were weird and the worst!! There was a decline at the headboard and footboard part of the bed seemed to be way more inclined. So we slept at the foot of our beds instead of our heads at the headboard. The “down comforter” was lumpy in parts and so thin in others.Sleeping on the bed felt like a sleeping on a rock and we had to constantly change positions throughout the night which left us so tired the next day. There were people couple rooms down from us that were very noisy. We heard constant slamming of doors. There are no vending machines at this hotel but the front desk sells can sodas for $1 each and pack of tums for $4. What a rip off. There was a big gap in our door to our hotel room and the ac wasn't cooling that great. The only thing decent about this place was the breakfast bar. It was kept well stocked and offered coffee, juice, eggs, bacon, bagels, muffins, waffle maker, yogurt, cereal, toast, and pastries. Wouldn't stay here again though. The place looks a little shady and hallways are dark, gloomy and a bunch of weird people coming and going and making a lot of noise in the rooms.

"Save yourself the headache"

Protect yourself from the hotel's dishonest business tactics. They charged me for $500 for tearing up their new laminate floor. The "manager" refuses to actually manage and address customers' issues. Hotel was undergoing renovation, but it was the closest and still available hotel. I only needed one night so I took it. This room looked like it still needed to be renovated. The host did not correctly activate my room keys the first time. The hallway smelled of drugs. The room has new laminate flooring, which is very slippery when wet. Breakfast was underwhelming. Even the parking situation is awkward and unsafe, as the entrance is right at the entrance of the driveway. This hotel is not just a risk of a bad night of sleep, but this hotel may charge you for something false and unreasonable. Save yourself the headache.

"Very comfortable - Great Stay"

I stayed twice in a week. 1st time I needed a shuttle bus from GSO. They have an arrangement with the local taxi service and it worked perfect - quick & easy. Check in was fast and easy. Interestingly they made a copy of my driver license - much like in Eastern Europe sometimes. My room was clean and spacious. Looked that they had just finished putting in new flooring. The workspace was a good size with many electrical outlets. There was a fridge (turned on) and microvave in the entertainment center - both very clean. Bed was very comfortable and the room quiet. Wi-Fi worked awesome and easy to get on it. Shower was hot and powerful. Breakfast was varied with hot and cold - good spread all around. There was an attendant so it was all clean and stocked. Check out was easy. Plenty of parking and its a 5 min drive to GSO. I would stay here again no problems.

"ok, but not what I was expecting"

Staff was nice but the overall hotel is not on par with other best westerns I've stayed in. Hallway had what looked like permanent paint mess & needed a deep cleaning. The room may be a regional thing but I was expecting carpets instead of the cold floor. Breakfast was good & people made it better.

I never actually got checked in. I am a Best Western Platinum member and made reservation for this hotel this morning. After riding approximately 5 hours I arrived the hotel. I was greeted with a stare from a person in training. Without being asked why I was there, I volunteered that I was checking in. The next comment was, Name? After I gave it I was asked for my ID and credit card. It's normal for a hotel to ask for my ID and credit card, but what came next was not normal. The person in training made a copy of my drivers license. I questioned why that was and was told that it was hotel policy. If I wanted to check in, we had to follow policy and that was to have a copy of my ID. I said I needed a room, so we do what we have to do but as a person in training that he needed to get a better explanation of why they need a paper copy of the ID. Then another explanation came about, it was said that in case something were to happen and they needed to provide it to the police to prove who was there. What? I asked, if we were in a dangerous area and was told no. For some unknown reason, the check in process still had not started, my credit card had not been run. I explained I would call Best Western and make them aware but I still need a room and we do what we need to do. The clerk in training suggested I could also call a hotel manager and pointed to where there should have been some business cards. I said I would also call hotel management but I STILL need a room for the night. There were no hotel manager business cards to be found but there were some TripAdvisor cards. I took one. Since there were no management phone numbers available I asked if there were a manager onsite and was told there was one right there. Then the real "fun" began. This other person, who didn't conduct himself in a professional manner at all told me it was a best western rule with them, and with their credit card processor that they have to have a copy of the ID - also to run the credit card. Again, it didn't make sense … no credit card company wants a copy of your ID. The "manager" person told the person in training to cancel my reservation and I needed to leave. He also threatened to call the police and tell them he had an unrulily guest they needed to come take care of. The "manager" proceeded to rip up their copy of my ID but WOULD NOT GIVE IT TO ME... I insisted and guess what, he dialed 911. 911! I left. As I thought about it, they never actually ran my card or started the check in process even though I said MULTIPLE TIMES that I still needed a room and we do whatever we have to. I wonder, if there were some reason they didn't want me in that hotel. Were they profiling me? I ride a motorcycle, a quiet one.... that shouldn't be it but what other reason? Maybe the hotel is really a worse experience waiting to happen once checked in and they knew I would be insisting on a clean room? I dunno - - It also strikes me now that it was odd that this morning there were no other BW's in the area with available rooms yet this place had plenty.. I should have taken that as a tip off. Anyway, HOPEFULLY Best Western will get some assurances that this kind of behavior will cease or will completely drop this hotel. Until then, My advice … my warning to others is that you do NOT make a reservation for this nightmare in the making.

"The smell would make a dog gaq!!!"

The 1st smell in the 4th floor hall would make a dog gaq and I have seen this dog eat a used dirty diper. The 2nd smell was a cigarettes and vomit. (Yes there was dry vomit all up and down the hall). "Best Western "Minus!""

This Best Western hotel should be re-branded “Best Western MINUS!” Of all the Best Westerns hotels we have stayed at, this was far and away the worst with regard to the facility itself. However, the staff was absolutely the best and had to live with their upper management's total lack of listening to their suggestions for improvement. Specifically, the carpets in all the guest rooms had been replaced with cheap, vinyl laminate strips. Not only was it slippery, if one went bare foot, the bottoms of your feet were black within minutes. There were no towel racks in the bathroom or anywhere else so if you wanted to re-use towel, there was only one tiny hook on the back of the bathroom door. In addition to the faucet fixture being loose and cocked about 15 degrees (I straightened it out without any difficulty), there was a low frequency pulsation in the wall which was amplified by the large headboards attached directly to the wall. We had to switch rooms after one night. Sadly, the second room was two rooms down the hall from the ice maker which was so loud, that I had to unplug it every night before we could get to sleep. Normally they would have one ice maker on each floor, but three out of four were broken. Also, they were in the process of repainting the hallways and I have never seen worse painting. I learned that to save money, they use their small and overworked maintenance staff instead of hiring a professional painting contractor. On the last day of our four day visit, something in the A/C unit worked loose (not the cover) but fortunately we were on our way out the door. When l went to the front desk to get a light bulb to replace a burned out bulb for the floor lamp, the clerk was not able to find one and we had to wait until the maintenance man came to work the next morning. Finally, with regard to the “breakfast” offered, it was without a doubt the skimpiest we have ever had at a Best Western. Yes, there were two waffle makers, but everything was packaged, microwavable fare. Needless to say, we will never again stay at the Best Western “Minus” Greensboro Airport.

Just checked in at 3pm from the airport, went to dinner and a movie and immediately checked out after about 1 hour in the room. Place is absolutely DISGUSTING. Management is incompetent and customer service does not exist at this place. Stear clear of this trash heap of a hotel. Holy cow, I travel extensively and have stayed at this hotel before a few years ago but this place has gone way, way downhill with the new owners/management. Management claimed the place just got renovated/updated, do these photos look like the place has been renovated? Broken lamp in the room, window not sealed properly when it was installed (still had the construction tape on the side of it), you will hear every bit of traffic on the highway just like you were outside, impossible to hear the television over it let alone sleep. Since the windows aren't sealed properly in the place the humidity is in the rooms as well can't imagine how gross it gets when it rains and what kind of mold is in these rooms. Oh, but they "fixed" that by removing all the carpet in every room. That's right, there's no carpet in any room in this place. They just tore the carpet up and scraped off the glue from the floor underneath. I thought it was laughable that management actually tried to tell me this was "a new thing" that "all hotels were doing." Maybe in 3rd world countries (and I've traveled to plenty of them), but this is not the norm at all in North America or most of Europe. Paint peeling off the walls that were "just renovated", beds hard as a rock and unsleepable, it was too gross to even take a shower in the place (and that says a lot coming from a military member). Customer service was just as disgusting, "I don't control the traffic", "we won't refund your money." Right, because I came down to the lobby to tell you to stop traffic and not, you know, fix the disgusting room conditions which is your only job at the place and you don't even do that. Would never recommend this or any Best Western to anyone travelling again. The Courtyard Marriott right beside it is clean, actually updated, and they charge less than this grossly incompetent hotel and the staff actually knows how to do their job. Do yourself a favor and stay literally anywhere else when you travel to Greensboro, place made me sick to my stomach. Probably unsafe for children to even be staying in the place. Calling the Greensboro Health Department tomorrow and recommending they check this place out. This is the quality of hotel I'd expect to find in Honduras or India and not in a good way. Owners/management has tried to cut so many corners to save money but the hotel literally right beside it charges a lower rate and is 100 times cleaner, safer, and quieter. Oh yeah, no blinds or curtains for privacy either, just a gross flower painting thing that you have to pull down. Felt gross touching anything in the room. Air conditioner is some half-broken cheap unit from the 70s. 0/5 stars. Don't worry though, they'll try to keep your money and tell you to get lost when you point out how gross the place is and ask them to fix it! You'll know you're in the right place when you're in the parking lot with only 2 cars (probably the employees vehicles) while every other hotel around it has full parking lots. That kind of speaks for itself, doesn't it? Slummy places like this are a disgrace to our city and shouldn't even be allowed to operate in Greensboro let alone near an airport where people who aren't even from here will see it and think the rest of our city is like this. Owners and managers should be ashamed.

""Don't Say a word or your birthday weekend will be ruined....""

Checked into this hotel on Friday evening and was rudely checked out only moments later for bringing the uncleanliness of the room to the attention of the front desk clerk/Manager/Director of Sales/ Son of the Owner - - Mr. Rushi B. Patel. He walked me back up to the room and I pointed out to him the areas of concern. His reply was "You know what, since you just checked in here's how we are going to handle this...I'm going to check you out and refund your money to your card." This hotel does not deserve anyone's patronage if customers are going to be checked out and asked to leave the property for something as trivial as pointing out that their room was not properly cleaned...Jacuzzi tub was dirty, room was full of dust (you could write your name on the desk), windows were filthy.

Room was newly renovated and clean. Even included a Keurig coffee machine! Staff was awesome. We were a group and they made it easy to accommodate everyone. Smiling all the time! The breakfast had great options, including waffles and various breakfast sandwiches. Would definitely go back.

Let me start off by saying that we are extensive travelers and have stayed in many, many hotels for the past 30 plus years all over the world. This is the WORST place I have ever stayed bar none! Hotel has been very badly renovated. Unfortunately we ere stuck staying here because it was during Highpoint Market week and all other hotels were booked. Cheap, horrible slipshod remodeling construction. I mean really, really bad. The ancient ceiling tiles are filthy, have been painted over and are stuck up at various angles in the bathroom ceiling showing the dirty underside. The hallways are a disaster, The rooms are seriously in need of renovation even though they have just been renovated. It must have done by the blind and by saying that I am not trying to insult the blind because they would do a more quality job I'm sure. The room was serviced one time in 4 nights even though we called the front desk and complained the first night, talked to the maid in person who was standing right outside our room cleaning the room across the hall another day who said she would clean it, but did not. We talked to the owner of the hotel and by talked I mean he heard that we wanted to talk about our problem and he hid around the corner and wouldn't talk to us so we talked to the manager who said if there is a tag hanging on the door by 10:00 am no one will clean the room that day period. Ridiculous!! Asked for compensation since we received no service for our entire stay and was told she would give me some points even though we don't belong to their club. Crazy... horrible , very unprofessional handling of an unacceptable problem. DO NOT STAY HERE !

We were told upon check-in that the hotel was under renovation and that the phone may not work. We decided unwisely to stay. The hallways were filthy. The room was fine, but every time the heater cut on it would emit an obnoxious odor so that at the middle of the night we were worried about our health. The breakfast could not be any more unhealthy. All prepackaged food. And the front desk help offered minimal assistance at best. Do yourself a favor: find another hotel. There are plenty in the area.

They are remodeling I will give them that but they need to hire professional to do the work. The room floor was sticky when u walk on it. I came back from work one day and my door was open so anybody could have went in there. The maid left it open when she got the towels out but never replace them or take the trash out or sweep the floors. Won't be back to this one.

Staff was really friendly. Easy check in and out. Breakfast was basic. Waffle maker. Did not have eggs, grits etc (hot food). Renovations are being done in the lobby and they did apologize for the inconvenience. That was a nice gesture. However, when having a casual conversation with a staff member, they stated renovations were done in the rooms. Really!? The room was poorly painted. Not enough lighting and the bathroom was in horrible condition. The floors are cold and concrete. Would not stay again.

I was not a guest at this hotel, but I have attended business training in the meeting room at this hotel for the past two weeks. I've been very impressed by the staff at this hotel, who are very polite and professional every morning I arrive. They keep our business room stocked with coffee, water, and snacks, and the room is clean and comfortable. They've graciously allowed me to bring back food and eat my lunch in the lobby as well. Although it appears that some rooms in this hotel are currently under construction, I never hear any noise and it's a quiet learning environment. Thanks for the great service.

"Slimy floors"

Although the hotel was undergoing renovation, there is no excuse for slimy floors. I'm not sure if they were soapy or greasy but I had to wash and dry my feet when I got into bed. The front desk just said that they were evaluating the flooring and these weren't very popular. They didn't seem to understand that icky floors are a major turn off.

This property is in the process of a remodel and is still a good option. Very affordable! I have stayed in one of the completed rooms and found it very comfortable and attractive. I believe upon completion this hotel will be hard to beat, especially in this price range. Overall the staff is awesome!

"Worst Hotel Stay Ever"

This is the worst hotel I have had to spend 2 nights in the last 20 years. From people smoking at the entrance, to key card not working (2x). Coffee maker not working and nor was the replacement. Drapes were falling off. Several paint marks in front room 410 & 408. Telephone did not work throughout out stay. Mr. Patel (Owner) very defensive when I spoke to him at check out. No one should have to stay at a hotel in this condition.

We stayed in room 205. It was so nasty wet floor ac did not work carpet was so filthy mildew in the bathroom shower room had a awful smell. Stayed at this location many times and were quite satisfied. This time, however, their remodeling appears to be replacing the carpet with vinyl tile. .I found it to be quite slippery. Hopefully, a new wax will be used to fix that problem.

They desk staff were nice, but they make you sign a paper when you check in that you won't ask for a refund because they are going through renovations. I took pictures of how filthy the carpet was. I put down towels to walk on. There was mold in the shower, handprints on the mirror that appeared to be in paint, the air conditioning was set so you couldn't make it any cooler, and there was a strange nursing home smell in the hotel. Do NOT recommend!

They're under construction "indefinitely." Curtains falling, ants crawling on your breakfast, leaking air conditioner. Had I not paid in advance would not have stayed. And... there is NO FITNESS CENTER, as listed in amenities.

I always feel right at home with Best Western. This location however went above and beyond. They are remodeling and have every reason in the world to be a mess but they have it under control and still manage to give you an amazing experience. Unfortunately the hotel was going through renovations when we arrived. This is known information so why they do not contact you tell let you know in advance is beyond me. They tell you when you get there but then it is not easy to find a good deal with luggage in hand and children. Halls were messy and paint everywhere due to the lack of craftsmanship from the construction workers.

My wife and I and another couple stayed here and it was pleasant and the staff was friendly. We were looking for a place to stay and for the price, we couldn't complain. There were many other hotels but when the sun goes down and you tired, all you want is a room with a comfortable bed, and thats what we got.

We stayed for one night on our way to the beach. Our room was newly remodeled yet there was no carpeting which I found to be gross. Felt like I was in a locker room and had to keep my shoes on. Also NO hot water for our morning showers. Lastly, I had to go to the front desk at midnight to get additional towels. Reservations was for 4 people yet only 3 towels in the room and the tiniest bar of soap I have ever seen.

A nice location with a friendly staff which assured us that even though having construction we would not have problems. We arrived late to find a non working phone, refrigerator and lack of the necessary bed linens for pull out sofa. Next morning we discovered we didn't have hot water and stayed that way through our stay. Breakfast was lacking in healthy options for my kids. Cleanliness in hallways was lacking. They could take a vacuum to the hallways to make them cleaner during renovation. When renovations done, maybe these things will improve.

Spent the weekend in GSO to relax and just "getaway ". Was greeted by Aaron at the front desk, great personality, explained of on going renovations and insured they would not impact our stay, he was correct! Room was a Master Suite, nice! Had some new furniture in it already, comfortable! Spent an afternoon hanging at the pool, very quiet and relaxing. Everyone was great and very interested in making our .Bumped into Mr.Rushi Patel, Director of Sales, while waiting for elevator. He was very interested in my experience while on property and spent a short time sharing the upcoming renovation plans, property is really getting a once over. Can't wait for my next stay!

During our stay the building was under construction. The staff continually apologized for the inconvenience. They were very helpful, friendly, and courteous.

We spent 2 nights at this hotel in June, 2017. They were in the process of renovations. We were never disturbed. Continental Breakfast had lots of choices. The room needed some renovations but the beds very comfortable. Would not hesitate to recommend or stay here again.

I have never seen anything like this in my life. My wife complained that the internet didn't work (no raised voices or obscenities BTW) and the front desk guy Rushi Patel Called the police and made us leave. We were staying there with our daughter who is a student at High Point U. This guy should not be in the Hospitality Business. Besides the human factors here the place is in poor state of repair and I doubt they will ever improve. I don't see how someone could be so shortsighted to think he's not going to get a terrible review. We checked in across the street and everything was fine.

this place is a dump I cannot tell you how disapointed i was. The management are slobs and should not be in this buisness. They gave us a room in the center of the hall being renovated and the contractors had paint cans and sheetrock dust everywhere. the elevator was full of sheetrock dust. and the whole place was just beat. the renovations they were doing were half assed effort at best.

"Dont bother"

Noisy, not clean, under construction constantly, most things in the room do not function.Food is poor quality, way overpriced during furniture market.Usually stay here for easy access to airport. I have stayed here before out of convenience but regret it each time. This was definitely the last.

We booked through Expedia for $76 and I can say it was worth $76 but no more than $76 in its current state. The new owner seems to be very committed to the future of this hotel and has taken all the steps he can go make things great before renovation. I hear renovation is starting very soon or is already in progress on some floors....For example: The rooms are dated, but clean. You can't renovate every room overnight, but you can make sure they are clean and well-equipped. With the exception of the Q-tip that was present under the table when we arrived and still present when we checked out 3 days later (in their defense... I could only see it when laying in bed...), the room was very clean. The heat/air units are old and ours worked better than our friends' room next door, some windows have lost their seal and are not clear but again, these types of things can't be fixed overnight and you still have to rent the room knowing some guests will be irritated. But... the little things they can do immediately all seemed to be done: nice decorative touches in the lobby, 24-hour coffee and fresh fruit water station by the elevator, breakfast touches above and beyond some pricier hotels (fresh fruit, fruit toppings for yogurt, etc...). The owner was present and very involved. The only thing I was disappointed with was the filthy window sills in the basically outdoor (cold) elevator. That is not easy to reach to clean... but I'd find a way / call a pro because it's just ugly to look at up close multiple times a day. This sets a tone of general disrepair that can linger in the guest's opinion...

En route south for the winter. We found the staff and acccomodations to be perfect. Front desk was extremely accommodating giving directions to local restaurant. Quiet, peaceful stopover affording an excellent night sleep.

Water broke down all night. I called down to the front desk and said I wanted a refund for the night. The person who answered said they would be willing to work that out. Upon checkout, I was told that if I had come down that night they would have put me up in another hotel but at that point, they had no intentions of honoring what that person said. They wanted to offer points. I had to go to my mother's funeral so I couldn't stand there and argue. They have told my credit card company that I agreed with accepting points even though I never did. I signed my receipt, that's it. They were willing to provide other people the equivalent of a free night but because I put up with their crappy hotel, I got nothing. I'll never stay at a Best Western ever again, another reason why points is not acceptable anyway. This place really makes the whole chain look bad.

From the moment we checked in to the moment we checked in we were treated with amazing customer service, especially by Mr. Patal who went out of his way to make our stay wonderful. The room was clean, comfortable as were the beds. The breakfast was your typical extended continental breakfast, which I usually don't eat, but I enjoy going down for fresh coffee as we are not fans of the in-room coffee anywhere. The only issue we had was my daughter found mold on her bagel but the breakfast attendant quickly removed any "bad" bread. We would most definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

Our room smelled musty, air conditioning not working properly, lumpy bed and cold shower did not make a pleasant stay. The breakfast was individual items to microwave or make a waffle. I did like Dole fruit bowls. Manager was helpful in AM to credit our account after our list of complaints.

"Fell Below Expectations"

The room had a hole in the carpet, cleaning cloths in the refrigerator, vinyl baseboard coming off the wall, and poor internet connection. There were no towels in the fitness room or cleaner to sanitize equipment, and the grounds were littered.

We visited this hotel 07/19-07/21. The hotel was very clean and we enjoyed the suite. The price was great. Adriane was awesome and made our visit enjoyable. We will stay at this hotel the next time we visit Greensboro.

HOTEL needs a major update. Rooms are dark and dreary. It is depressing to stay in these rooms. Bed pillows are like sleeping on a rubber tire.This hotel has a lot of work to do before i would consider staying there again.

We had a some of minor problems which were quickly resolved by the front desk. We were disappointed with the breakfast. It doesn't look like they had a breakfast room employee. If you wanted something hot or warm, you had to make it yourself, it wasn't waiting for you. I'll be more careful when I read free breakfast from now on!

This is my second time at a Best Western. This hotel had Excellent staff. I was greeted with friendliness. The check out staff was also friendly. excellent breakfast. The room could use new carpet as it had cigarette burns on it. There was a smoking odor in hall.

It was one of the worse Best Western hotels I have been at. The internet was so slow that Google wouldn't even load. Then I had issues with the cleanness of my room. The staff corrected it immediately, but still I shouldn't have to point that out. Then the Laundry Facilities were awful. I felt that my clothes were going to get dirtier by washing it in their washing machine, and the dryer was broke for awhile because there was a cobweb in it with the sign "Out of Order". I wouldn't consider this a Best Western Plus by any means. The breakfast I would give two stars, if that.

Overall our stay was very pleasant. The only hiccup was when we checked in we were given a room that either not yet cleaned or already occupied. Literally the worst place I've ever had the misfortune of staying. The entire hotel reeks of smoke. We walked into our room and the biggest mistake we made was not leaving immediately. It reeked of smoke (weed and cigarette) and mold leaving me with a sore throat the entire weekend. It was absolutely horrendous. After a sleepless night I was in tears and walked across the street to the Hilton. They felt so bad they let us check in at 8am. The fact that Best Western charged me for my stay is nothing short of criminal. Never again.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The rooms were very neat and clean, I was even given a room upgrade due to my length of stay! Large suite style room with some comforts of home. (couch, extra table and apartment size refrigerator)The staff was EXTREMELY nice and helpful. The daily breakfast was a buffet style and a good start to the morning. Close to hwy and restaurants. I've stayed here in the past but this will be the last time. The motel seems to be run down now. I've enjoyed past stays here but I was very unhappy to see the worn, stain and tattered carpet. The mini fridge froze everything I put in it and had mold in it as well ( I didn't notice the mold until I went to retrieve the items I placed in the fridge).

The staff did a very nice job for our stay and business meeting. Room has been upgraded with a few incomplete projects. The digital wall thermostat did not work with window heat/air unit. Average size room with some dated furniture. Employees did a very nice job. All of them greeted with a smile and usually hello.

We were guests of the hotel for 3 days; Our bedsheets were never changed over that period of time, nor was the bed even made! All that was done was the comforter on both beds was pulled up; and that was even done in a haphazard way, showing many "lumps." When pulled down, the sheets were in a crumpled mess, just as they were when we arose in the morning. Ugh.

All the front desk clerk I encounter had a happy smile and really make me feel welcome. The breakfast was very good buffet style. Only problem was near the freeway and was noisy all night. I figure out by turning on the a/c or heater all night, it blocks out the outside noise. I slept really good when I turn on the heat running all night. I was lucky that night because the price of the kingbed suite is the same as a regular room rate. I booked the kingbed suite.

"Do Not Stay Here"

Don't stay here if you value cleanliness, helpful staff, or your own clothing. I checked in and after entering the room found the fridge to be filled with mold. The man working the front desk was very helpful and took care of it right away but that was the last help I got with all the issues this hotel has. The air conditioning unit in my room didn't work. I told them first thing my next morning but it took over five hours and me complaining again for anything to be done. It was in the 30's outside so the room was freezing that entire time. I used the iron in my room and because it was faulty it burned a huge hole in a brand new skirt which still had the tag attached to it. When I told the woman at the desk she just looked at me blankly and mumbled a halfarsed apology under her breath. I know it wasn't my fault that the iron burned the skirt, it was set to the appropriate temperature and my entire job revolves around knowing clothes and how to care for them. It was the iron that was no longer regulating it's heat so the longer it was on the hotter it got without stopping. I asked for a manager and was told one wasn't available. I asked for a manager two more times during my stay and never once got to speak to one. After my second night the entire 4th floor started to smell like weed so someone was smoking in their room and not one member of the staff gave a damn. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Ever. And I would never stay here again even if someone payed me too. Absolutely terrible.

The tiniest bit threadbare but everything works well and the service was excellent. Jay checked me in with a smile like he was pleased to see me and Danielle checked me out like she was grateful I'd stayed and wanted me every success with my day. The Staff was friendly and check in was quick, Breakfast was all microwaveable and danish. Shower had little pressure and was miserable to use. Bed was comfortable and internet was in and out. it was inexpensive but I have stayed at much better Best Westerns for the same price. I won't visit this one again unless others are booked solid.

This is a Plus facility and advertises as a 100% smoke free environment. However for the past 3 nights of my stay, my room has been contaminated with nasty cigarette smoke from a nearby room on the second floor. I've brought it to the attention of the desk staff each of the last two nights, but I'm told there is nothing they can do about the smoker other than charge a $150.00 cleaning fee each day. That is great for the hotel but doesn't remove the smoke from my room. I've asked for another room but was told they are sold out and can't get me a room on another floor. So I am checking out early and going to another nearby hotel for the remainder of my stay in Greensboro. Otherwise the facility was comfortable and pleasant to be in. The breakfast bar has a wide assortment of items and the staff member on duty was friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable with lots of pillows and warm comforter. I travel a lot for business and occasionally encounter smokers in non-smoking rooms. From now on when this happens I will quickly and firmly request a room or floor change and if that is not an option, find another hotel to spend my money on. Derek L Feb 2016

This was a wonderful surprise to say the least. I expected a basic bed and hoped for a piece of toast, i received a suite instead and more of a real breakfast and the staff were awesome. The room was great with Fridge, Microwave, Great King bed with tons of pillows, couch area, office desk area, full flat screen moveable TV. I would stay again at this exact hotel and will consider other best western plus hotels again in the future.

I visited Greensboro in early dec and I was expecting a much cleaner and well kept hotel but to my dismay, that was not the case. My room also had a loud freezer and the tv had a strange blue line on the screen which made watching anything on there annoying. That is not even the worse part. So supposedly the owner of the hotel owns or hosts a sports team and those guys were loud the entire nite with no regard for other clients. I had to endure their loudness for the entire trip. I will never recommend or support this hotel. This by far has been one of the worse hotels I have stayed in and they are ruining the best western brand.

We recently stayed two nights while attending basketball games at the Greensboro Coliseum. This location is great and very convenient. The check-in process was very smooth, breakfast is just OK, only hot food are waffles, all other items must be microwaved. My only problem was that we didn't have housekeeping come in and clean our room after the first night. We left the hotel at 12:15pm and removed the do not disturb sign but upon returning at 10:30pm, we found the room had not been touched. Minor yes, but when you are expecting to have them come in, it was quite inconvenient. Front desk did provide us with clean towels and did apologize. We would definitely stay here again if in the area. Love the option of 2 queen beds.

We stayed here at Best Western PLUS Greensboro Airport for 2 nights. The check-in process was quick and the staff was friendly and courteous. The room looked and smelled clean. We did have to change rooms because there was a problem with the tv/cable function. The clerk downstairs quickly offered the room change and promptly brought up the keys to the new room. We stayed here last year at the same time of year and overall have been pleased with the service.

The price was right. The staff was wonderful. The room was very clean, comfy and nice. The breakfast was ok. We didn't have time to try the exercise room, but there is one there. It is a great location for anywhere from Winston-Salem to Greensboro, next to the airport on I40.

The room was good, clean and comfortable. However there was only one ice machine available. The rooms were noisy I think because the door doesn't go all the way to the floor. The front test personnel was attentive and helpful. The location to food places was ok. The hotel was fully booked and with one elevator was a little tight but ok.

I was exceptionally impressed with the staff here. They were very understanding and accommodating to the special needs we had at the time. We were stranded beyond our planned visit in Greensboro following an accident where my wife fractured her kneecap and required surgery. After being released from surgery, we needed a place for her to recover for a couple of days, starting the morning after the surgery. These folks let us into our handicapped accessible room in the morning, instead of the usual check-in time. When our room was actually ready, they allowed us to use another room so my wife could get some badly needed rest. Facilities are getting a bit worn and showing it's age, but everything appeared clean and well kept. It is really the staff who makes this what it was. Everyone from the manager to the housekeeping staff were great. Free continental breakfast wasn't bad either. Allowed me to bring food back to my wife when she wasn't up to hobbling down the hallway.

John at the front desk was so nice and helpful. Really enjoyed him. What we did not enjoy was the apparent shortage of towels. Since I do not like to re-use a washcloth, I requested extra through out our 4 night stay and the hotel sometimes did not have enough which seemed strange. The room was fine and comfortable, parking convenient and breakfast selection was good and delicious.

The Hotel was conveniently located near popular restaurants, shopping and the Interstate. The quality of the breakfast was okay. They ran out of popular breakfast items an hour and a half before breakfast was over during our Sunday morning stay. Overall, the hotel is nice and a good deal for the price. Rooms are extremely clean and well kept. Complimentary breakfast was nice. Free WiFi was a plus. It is pet friendly which is a huge plus for our baseball team. They kept the pool open a little later for our boys to swim which was very considerate. Have already booked more weekends for upcoming events.
