    « What a pleasant surprise ?? »

Totally surprised firstly by the very friendly staff .. and that's every staff member . Exceptional service, lovely quiet rooms with nice bathrooms . Food is excellent and worth trying . Happy hour is fantastic free canapés and cheese platter Will be back

« Great stay at Best Western Goulborn »

Our second stay in as many months, first stay due to a breakdown, the town was almost booked out but they found us a room second time towing a trailer again found us a great room where we could also park the trailer. The staff are very friendly, helpful and courteous, the rooms are good size, clean and modern. Both times we had a delightful dinner in the restaurant. We will definitely stay there again.

    « Hotel Great »

The room was amazing got to stay in the Honeymoon suite. It was clean and large. Bathroom had a spa bath and was very impressive. Hotel staff were very helpful in arranging change of room for us when explained the problem.

« Wonderful place to stay as a couple »

Stayed there for 1 night. Stayed in Queen loft luxury room. The room was very nice with kitchenette, bathroom (with spa) and sitting area downstairs. In the loft was another sitting area and the bedroom. Everything was lovely. The receptionist was very helpful. We ordered room service for dinner. Very nice and not expensive. The employee who delivered the room service was exceptionally nice. When we tried to order the room service over the phone it was always engaged so ended up walking over to reception. Only 2 small issues - spa could have been a bit bigger to fit 2 people in it; and going downstairs through the night to use the bathroom. We did leave the kitchenette light on so we could see the stairs.

    « Very impressed »

The suite was great- really modern and very spacious. Bathroom was all marble- felt very luxurious - shower was amazing- great pressure and temperature. Noise of other guests outside in the morning was a bit of an issue however this isn't really anything the hotel can control. The parking was a bit 'quick and the dead' and seemed informal but would definitely stay there again.

    « Good stay »

Recently stayed at the best western Goulburn. The rooms were clean and well appointed. The staff are most helpful and the attached restaurant serves good quality meals . There are renovations being carried out but they do not interfere with the comfort of the guests. Highly recommend

« Great motel for overnight stay »

Stayed overnight for a catchup with family. We had a basic room (ie lowest price) and the room was very comfortable with shampoos, etc provided in bathroom. Other family members had better rooms, one with a king size bed, another had a 2 storey room and the other had a courtyard. So if you're looking for something a little larger than your average motel room, give it a try.

    « Happy customer »

Arrived at BW late afternoon, to be pleasantly greeted and well informed of local amenities , room had been updated with a quality fit out . King size bed , extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean , lovely large bathroom great shower . We went to the Cascades restaurant and bar , staff well informed of menu with a great attitude .thank you BW we will return

« Ridiculous Check in proceedure »

A big local business booked and paid for a room for me for last night and on check-in the hotel wanted completely separate payment for the room. For the booking via to work they wanted to see the actual person who booked it in reception, with their drivers license and their credit card. After 30 minutes of looking for contacts and trying to negotiate options i left to find another hotel. Mercure allow me to book and pay for a room on the phone while i was driving there and check-in to a really nice room took 2 minutes. Really poor and unnecessary service from Best Western so there are plenty of other good options.

« This place has got everything! »

Stayed here for a rail festival called Streamliners 2016 held at the Rail Heritage Centre; October 1 to 3 2016. I took my elderly, old workmate who is 87, the amenity of the motel really suited him. I was very impressed myself. I also had a younger workmate and his little Son. All four of us were very happy. The food was great and restaurant very busy. Rooms were well appointed and VERY clean. From the moment "Satu" took our booking several weeks before, I knew we were in good hands. Rhiannon at reception also looked after us very well. Vicky and Wayne, the owners, made themselves known to us and made sure we were 100% happy with the service and accommodation. A great motel with every convenience imaginable and GREAT STAFF and service!

    « Absolutely fantastic »

The staff were amazing, they stayed waiting when the flights were late. The restaurant staff are happy and lovely. The room I stayed in was clean and had one of the most comfortable beds I have had in any motel.

    « Everything you need »

Stayed here for a work trip for the week. The room was clean and fresh, beds comfy and small kitchenette. Huge size bath with nice after a long day of work. Tried out the pool was pleasantly surprised with the temperature perfect! The spa is ultra soothing very warm and there was no stinky odour. This is my third stay here this year and each time its proves to be a welcoming home away from home.

    « Short stay »

Convenient.. right next door to maccas..Lovely place.. clean and spacious rooms and friendly staff.. will highly recommend for a restful stay. Stayed here with 2 kids... and the room was cozy and warm.. the bathroom was spacious and clean

    « Excellent every time »

I always stay here when passing through Goulburn. I have never been disappointed. Rooms are very high standard, quality finishes, staff obliging and restaurant (Cascades) surprisingly good. Many a larger hotel could learn a lot from this small gem boutique hotel

    « Best Western Goulburn »

Great sized room with all the amenities I required for a short stay with a toddler. Only complaints were housekeeping/making of the bed and other guests coming back from dinner at a late hour talking outside your room and no consideration of other guests/children sleeping. Minor complaints, but I'd stay there again if I was to visit Goulburn.

« great hotel to have a rest »

The Best Western is well located between Sydney and Canberra. It is value for money with clean room and friendly staff. Large bed and easy access to your car. The hotel restaurant has a good selection of interesting menu.

    « A nice surprise »

On our way back from a visit to Newcastle to visit family we decided to stop overnight in Goulburn. The visitor centre suggested a few places and we liked the sound of the Best Western, after a quick call to the motel by the friendly staff at the centre we made our way to the motel. We had a friendly and efficient check in and made our way to a very nice large room with a spacious en suite. Before leaving reception we booked in for dinner and were told that between 5and 6pm we could partake of happy hour drinks and complimentary canapés in the lounge in front of the fire. It was a chilly day so after a quick walk to stretch our legs it was a welcome start to a very pleasant evening with nice food in pleasant surroundings. This is a motel that we can certainly recommend.

    « Comfortable and clean »

The bed was comfy, with an electric blanket. The bathroom was clean, heated towel rail and lovely toiletry products. The towels were big and soft. The smell of the room was a bit musty. Quiet and comfortable. The place was well utilised. Otherwise it was all good.

« Don't Expect Ice in Your Drink »

Ice tray in fridge empty and was dirty. I wanted to make some ice so took it to reception with the intention of getting a clean tray. I was told they don't put ice in the fridge as guests have no way of knowing what has been put in the ice trays (apparently it may not be water). This is a ridiculous statement, how do guests know what is in anything provided - what is in the orange juice provided at breakfast, are they going to make guests squeeze there own oranges???? Bring there own water for tea and coffee, really!! The guy at reception seemed annoyed that I had brought the dirty ice tray to his attention, looked at it and did not even acknowledge it was not at all fit to be used, then launched into the reasons why it was not filled in the first place. Grudgingly went to retrieve some ice cubes for me. I was given ice in an old, empty ice cream container which was not going to fit in the tiny freezer in the fridge in the room, so I guess you cant have ice in your in-room drink. I just wanted to make some ice but was not prepared to use the dirty ice tray. Will mention I have stayed at this property before and the experience was fine, but quite frankly, will not be staying there again. The room we booked was not a cheap room so I am not really impressed with the value provided. Bathroom was beautiful, rest of room ordinary, ice tray dirty.

    « A great experience »

From initial contact, to reception to the hotel room and to the Restaurant our experience was great, will stay again. In particular the room was excellent with a great bed and the motel is very quiet.

    « Exceeded our expectations »

The room was clean, warm, spacious and well equipped with everything you need from a desk to lounge to two fridges. Complimentary water bottles were a surprising bonus and greatly appreciated. Free wifi is included. The beds were king size and very comfortable. The restaurant food was excellent and all staff at the hotel were warm and friendly at all times. There is some ongoing work as the motel is extended but this did not affect our stay. Best Western Goulburn exceeded our expectations.

    « regrets, I had a few »

This motel is absolutely lovely. . .HOWEVER, they have a number of rooms I would describe as 'loft' rooms - where the bed is upstairs and the bathroom and amenities are downstairs. Makes for a quiet room in that you don't hear your neighbour using the bathroom at all hours of the night, but if you regularly need to get up to use the bathroom during the night, it's an absolute pain to have to make your way down and back up 14 quite steep stairs and remain half asleep. They had two bar fridges in my room - one which was a fridge full of items for purchase, with a badly placed, hard to read sign advising your credit card would be automatically charged if you removed an item from the fridge. There were two TV's - one upstairs and one downstairs, and of course, the one which had USB ports, was the one attached to the wall, making the USB ports absolutely useless for charging any devices. The air conditioning unit has been set so you can't put the temperature above 25 degrees C. There was no electric blanket on the bed. The alarm clock was a pain to try to reset the time on (I had to ask one of the staff as it wasn't obvious) and lit up the room like a christmas tree. They are also currently doing some building work there so don't expect it to be quiet during daylight hours, or to be able to sleep in. Also, no garbage bin upstairs. Bed was soft. Once I got out the 'spare' doona from the cupboard I was warm enough in bed. Oh, and there was a random sock left in the cupboard from a previous person's visit! Toilet roll holders were ugly in comparison to the rest of the furnishings of the place. Could have done with additional dusting behind TV upstairs, and the toilet roll holders were in need of a clean. Bathroom products smelt divine.

    « Highly Recommend »

Perfect in every detail. Service was excellent made us feel very comfortable after a bad experience at another motel down the road. Even though they only had a couple of rooms left we were offered a King size apartment room with living room ,and kitchen. The accommodation was very clean ,modern and comfortable.

    « Highly Recommend! »

Great experience from start to finish. Arrived Friday morning for a family funeral and was allowed early check in with no worries. Booked 4 bedroom apartment which was a house! Newly renovated, 3 King beds and a single, 2 bathrooms (a spa in one of the rooms), large lounge room, full kitchen & dining area, lovely courtyard with a BBQ. Thank you so much to Wayne, Vicki and their staff, very accommodating throughout our stay. A last minute booking of 15 for dinner was no worries, with a full "Asian fusion" buffet. Breakfast had a choice of continental or full buffet, also wonderful. Late check out allowed us to sit in the sun in the lobby with the family. A massive thanks again, highly recommend and will definitely be back!

« Home away from Home. »

I received a very generous up-grade on check-in to a 2brm - wish I had bought my family to share the experience and make the most of the felt like home. The nice deep bath was a lovely treat at the end of my day - my fav! Very comfortable, clean and modern.

« An unexpected and great experience »

We decided to stay the night in Goulburn and by chance looked through the main street options and came across this great place. The motel was booked out but fortunately a cancellation meant that we had a two bedroom apartment with living room, kitchen, bathroom and two bedrooms (very new). There is some ongoing work going on but this did not affect our stay and it was very comfortable, quiet and we ate in the restaurant twice. The food was of a high standard and the service by all staff at the hotel warm and friendly.

    « A great place to stay »

We had booked into the Lilac Motel just down the road, but took one look and decided to cut our losses and book into the Best Western, who had availability. We ate in the restaurant which had an Asian theme buffet, was excellent value!

    « Warm and Comfortable »

Arriving after a long drive for our overnight stay, we were delighted at a quick check-in by the friendly staff. It was a cold night, and to our delight, the room heaters were already on and it was warm and cosy. The room was immaculate and clean, with a large bathroom. Importantly the bed was comfortable allowing a restful night sleep. Great place to stay.

    « Fantastic stay »

Great room, friendly staff, comfortable bed (most important). I also enjoyed your bistro very much. The buffet dinner was fantastic. First time I had wallaby meat! (much better than kangaroo) The goose was great too, as all the other food.

    « Great stay »

We stayed here overnight on our way to the Gold Coast. It is slightly pricey but what a great place. The room was beautiful and immaculate. We had the buffet dinner and it was brilliant. The next morning we had the buffet breakfast and it was as good. Definitely a place to remember.

« Always clean, great food! »

The Best Western Goulburn is always my first choice if I stay in Goulburn. The rooms are always clean, family apartments are huge and the restaurant has the best breakfast buffet I have come across. Very healthy and great range. Great way to start the day!

    « A Great Place to Stay »

A great place to stay with renovated rooms, well equipped kitchenette and great heating during the cold months. Excellent restaurant with a delicious menue and friendly customer service. Highly recommend.

    « Great motel »

Stayed for 2 nights as a little get away instead of the usual "Bowral or Mittagong". This motel is probably the best place to stay in Goulburn as it is very comfy, good location, quiet and great staff. Meals are also great. We met Vicky the manager and found her very nice and helpful. Highly recommend this place..

    « Good quality hotel »

On a recent trip up to Sydney from Melbourne I chose to stop at Goulburn for the night at this hotel. On arrival the staff were attentive and friendly and assisted me with a painless check-in. The stay had been booked based on reviews from Trip advisor and I was pleased with the accuracy. I was able to park my van outside my room easily. The room was clean and very comfortable. It had a well-appointed bathroom with both bath and shower. The bed was super comfortable and I had a fantastic sleep. There was a desk with network point for those on business and 2 tub chairs with a small table to eat at. TV on wall. The wall unit housed drawers containing 2 sets of plates, mugs and cutlery. A kettle was also included and tea and coffee makings. There was also a microwave (which I loved as I had brought homemade soup for dinner and porridge to cook for breakfast) and a bar fridge as well as an extra one for anything I had brought that needed refrigerating. I did have my own bowl which was handy as none were supplied. Next time, I would definitely stay again and would eat at the restaurant. Heating was good too and free internet!

    « Surpassed all expectations »

From the phone calls to double check where we were prior to our late arrival, to the friendly and welcoming staff; from the huge three bedroom apartment, to the breakfast and morning newspaper. Best Western Goulburn exceeded the already high expectations we had based on their trip advisor standing. We were stopping over as a mid-way break on the Melbourne to Port Macquarie drive with two kids under 5 and it really was a good decision. The rooms were clean, warm and spacious and there was secure parking (cameras) - which meant not unloading the car and bike racks etc in the middle of the night. Breakfast was plentiful with plenty of options including a number of healthy choices. Highly recommended for those looking for somewhere decent in Goulburn. Unfortunately we've had to cancel our return stay as our car was rear ended and we are now flying back. But we will definitely be back next trip.

    « Comfortable spacious rooms »

We spent only one night at this hotel, which was located in a good position with easy access to and from the Hume Highway. We weren't looking for 5 star luxury, just a comfortable quiet night and this hotel delivered. Check-in was smooth and efficient. The room was clean and spacious, with comfy beds and a good layout. The bathroom was spacious and functional, with our pet requirement - a separate shower. Overall I'd definitely stay here again.

« Best motel in Goulburn »

I was given an upgrade to an apartment with a loft bedroom. Large rooms. Very modern decor. Warm. Small kitchen with microwave and cutlery. Beautiful king size bed with amazing pillows. The only let down was no Foxtel and the free wifi speed was terribly slow. Almost unusable in busy times. Definitely the pick of accommodation in Goulburn.

    « Clean and tidy »

Stayed overnight to attend an event in Goulburn. I had a two level room. If you have bad knees try and get a room that is on one level. Everything was clean, the sheets were spotless and crisp. I didn't use any of the facilities, nor did I sample their menu. A bonus was that they had very good wifi that was free!

« The best western in town »

I was booked into this hotel though my work and boy was I surprised, the rooms are very spacious with a great comfy king bed and equally as nice bath room. The room is well equipped with everything you need from a desk to lounge to several kitchen utensils. The rooms are well set out with a good flow to all furnishings. Would highly recommend this to everyone to stay as its well price and well worth every cent.

« Pleasant stay, great room. »

My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights over the long weekend and we had a lovely time. The room was clean and sized really well. The bed was comfortable, the shower was great and there were facilities to make toast and a cup of tea or coffee. We didn't have any problems during our stay, check in and check out were a breeze. We would stay here again and recommend it to our friends and family.

    « South Coast Adventure »

Well my wife and i went to collect an antique mini car from Cowra from the Central Coast Wyong and decided to to stay at this place on the return. It was a very big drive and when we arrived at 8.30 pm the desk lady welcomed us and assisted us to park our car and trailer. We got un packed and went to the restaurant and had the best meal ever, It was better than good and i'm picky. We headed back to our 2 floor accomodation, I had a great shower and crashed out in the most comfortable bed and woke up at 8.30 am. I am certainly coming back her again. The town has the big sheep to look at but much much more.Everyone is so friendy, Traffic also is courteous. Anyway the staff at our accom were so good, The food the best i have had for a long time, value for money 10 stars. To overseas travellers it is 3 hrs from Hornsby so be ready for long drives across our big country, so much different to Europe. But it's great to count the sheep and see Kangaroos jumping around. This morning we had temps at 6C so a little chilly with fog but this added charm to this magestic city.

« Never accept the house »

We are an older group of three professional ladies travelling together to visit a local friend. We do this often and usually stay at the Mercure (ex-Trappers) with no problems. As our friend has moved to the northern end of town we decided to change accommodation. After reading all the reviews on Trip Advisor about the level of luxury at Best Western, I decided to book here. I initially requested a four bedroom apartment so we would have a room each. This was confirmed online. I then received a phone call to say this apartment was not available and it should never have been confirmed. I was then offered a two bedroom apartment, which would have been OK, but someone would have had to share. I received another phone call a couple of weeks later to say the four bedroom apartment was available so I thought all was going along swimmingly...until we arrived to check-in mid-afternoon. Reception stated they were going to put us in the house. I had no idea what this meant, but it sounded OK. It was not OK. The house had not been cleaned, so we had to wait about 30 minutes. We were offered complimentary coffee. This house was not in the motel complex and was nothing like what was advertised on the website. We had to drive around the block to find it. We also had to drive back to the motel the next morning for breakfast because it was freezing - frost and ice on my car. Far too cold to walk. We all live in inner Sydney in apartments with covered parking, so we are not used to this. The house was awful. There are no other words to describe it. It was an unrenovated 1970's type house - dirty walls, filthy carpet and extremely cold and uncomfortable. They was nowhere nice to sit, so we used the upstairs landing where there was an air conditioner, as our lounge room. The next morning we could not wait to leave. I have a serious illness called scleroderma. I cannot afford to get cold. It was too cold for me to even have a shower as I would have had a Raynauds attack. For $230 I would have expected a much higher level of comfort and not be compromised by my illness (which I usually keep very private). My friends wanted leave after our arrival, which made me embarrassed as I had arranged this accommodation. They hated it. To add insult to injury, when we were at breakfast and we ordered eggs, my friend's eggs did not turn up . As we really wanted to get on the road, we waited half an hour before she asked about the order. Apparently the order had not gone through. The staff were polite and respectful but, frankly, to expect people to stay in that house is an insult!

    « Cozy and Comfortable »

I stayed for a total of two weeks during june. I had an apartment unit on both occasions. This has a king bed, 4 singles, toilet, shower, bath, kitchen sink, microwave, toaster, kettle, sandwhich press and dishwasher (note no stove). My stay was comfortable and staff accomodating. A couple of dislikes: The shower drain is a very large metal mesh tile that digs into your feet, bring thongs. The single beds are on a second floor, and excited children love going up and down them, not so good at 11pm at night. On a number of occasions i had to go next door and ask if they could stop as the thumping carries through the rooms. Although there is an enclosed pool, it is not heated. There are also limited parking spaces. Motel has a restaurant, refer to restaurant review. Would stay again.

« A bit of luxury on the Hume »

I was pleasantly surprised at the level of luxury offered by Best Western Goulburn. Our 2 bedroom 2 level apartment was very well appointed with comfy beds, a really lovely little kitchen and a modern bathroom with Mor toiletries! Each bedroom has its own wall mounted TV, along with a TV in the living area, so there were no arguments over who can watch what (a big plus when traveling with children). Close enough to town to be convenient, yet far enough away from the main "drag" to be quiet and peaceful. It has an indoor pool but it was extremely cold. The spa was nice and warm, but my children lamented the lack of bubbles. I will certainly stay here again if I ever have reason to return to Goulburn. Highly recommended!

    « A great stopover »

We had a king room near the back which I specifically requested (no 2nd floor above) and it was great for an overnight in a motel room. Road noise was minimal. The room was comfortable and spacious with a small kitchenette and a very large bathroom. The bar fridge was fitted inside a cupboard, a feature I really like because the noise of the fridge during the night is deadened. I also liked the fact that all the mini bar nonsense was in a second small fridge! So I didn't have to empty it all out to fit my things in. There was no electric blanket - it is very cold at this time of the year - but there are two ways to heat the room. They even provided a free continental breakfast. Hard to beat for the price. My extra wish - that luggage racks are provided for two bags (2 people = 2 bags). Why one one?

    « Pleasant overnight stay »

We chose to stay at the Best Western Goulburn, on a recent visit to Goulburn. We had the bed and breakfast package featuring a loft style suite which incorporates downstairs section containing table and two chairs, computer desk and chair, and a Kitchenette with mini bar, microwave oven and sink under the stairs. The bathroom features a spa bath with shower above. The toilet had a self closing lid which is a rare feature in most country motels. Climb upstairs to the bedroom which features bed, sofa, and wardrobe. There is a TV upstairs and downstairs. We were happy with the presentation and cleanliness of the suite, except for a small amount of mould around the spa bath and a noisy air conditioner motor in the bedroom area. Parking is available outside each suite's door. It was a nice touch to get the complimentary bottled water and biscuits and fresh milk in the fridge - much appreciated. The breakfast in the dining room was better than average for a country motel, but on the occasion we were there for breakfast, our table was not cleared after each breakfast course and we had to dispose of used plates to another area to make room on our table for the next course. The breakfast staff could be more vigilant in clearing guests' breakfast tables. But the breakfast itself was more than adequate and we were very happy with the food. The only negative was that we found the yogurt containers (glass jars) awkward to eat out of and there was only a small amount of yogurt in each jar.

    « Best western motel »

Very clean 2 bedroom apartment. Aircon in every room, TV in 3 rooms and free WiFi also has a small kitchen breakfast facilities. Excellent stay. Very friendly staff. Close to restaurants and has great restaurant on site. Easy access to town. Regards John and Helen

    « We'll be back! »

Everything we could want staying in a King family room. Excellent restaurant, friendly and efficient service, and a heated pool which the kids loved. We will definitely return for another family weekend in the future.

    « Nicely set-up, great meal »

Our room was OK, but perhaps a little disappointing. Imagine a typical small motel room of yesteryear which has been well-refurbished and modernised, and you've got a good mental picture. (There are 2 and 3 bedroom suites which would be more roomy at this motel, but we didn't have one of those.) The best thing here was the restaurant. It was a very pleasant surprise with an up-market menu and the quality of food as served didn't disappoint. The premises are at the edge of town so you can't just stroll out the door and find lots of other eating places. If the restaurant was horrible, that location would prove a problem but, as you've read, it was a pleasant surprise to dine here.

    « Book a room with a Courtyard »

Had a relaxing time staying at this place for 3 nights ? lots of extra things about the room made it more comfortable (too many to itemize all). Have stayed at this motel before but this time we had a queen bed suite with a small courtyard and it was superb. Very spacious with nice décor, fabulous lighting options throughout including a dimmer switch, huge wall mounted TV, two queen beds, table&chairs, couch and desk plus a fully equipped kitchenette; full size fridge, microwave, oven & hotplates plus a dishwasher. Impressed with the modern fully titled bathroom ? very spacious with separate toilet and shower, large mirror with perfect lighting for makeup and the best ever deep oval bath positioned below the fixed glass window looking into the lounge area (could watch TV whilst soaking in the tub). The little courtyard at the rear was a great feature too as you could sit here and have a cuppa (or smoke) out of the wind in privacy and it made a nice view to have from inside the room. Positioned towards the rear of the property our suite was very quiet and relaxing. Location from the main shops was perfect and only a short walk, the staff were very friendly and the optional breakfast in the dining room very good. Small indoor pool and spa on the property and the hotel offers complimentary gym use at a facility close by. Highly recommend this hotel and ideal for a long stay.

    « Lovely »

Lovely clean unit. Modern and up to date. Stayed for quick family catch up.we enjoyed the peace and quiet even though it is right in the heart of goulburn. Not overly expensive. Easy booking and checking on and out. Would stay again.

    « Passing through »

Quick stop passing through Easter Thursday/Good Friday. Our late hour check in was no hassle. Fantastic service, friendly and accommodating. Stayed in the 2br/2 storey apartment. So much space. Clean and comfortable. Very happy for the price.

    « Last minute booking »

Booked on the net as coming into Goulburn. Very friendly welcome although confusion with our booking as we had paid for breakfast but booking info did not reflect this . Staff sorted. This out. Our room was king bed and unfortunately the suite was two stories with bed upstairs and bathroom downstairs which is inconvenient. Apart from that room was clean comfortable with great facilities. Spa bath with shower over .bed comfortable with choice of pillows. The breakfast was extensive and generous. We will continue to stay here when travelling through Goulburn but book a room on one level.

The very first night of the new Autumn menu. Staff were very helpful and excited, the food was nothing short of sensational, great value for money. Lovely setting and mood. Great experience, would definitely recommend

    « Beautiful night »

A lovely, clean, comfortable room with beautiful, white linen and well presented, delicious food in the restaurant. Very easy to find on the main road into Goulburn and lovely, helpful, friendly staff. AND they had hot chocolate in the mini bar!

    « Good accommodation. »

We booked a two bedroom self contained apartment here whilst staying for the week end. It was clean and tidy, had ample cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery and dish washing liquid etc. The bed was comfortable and the unit was quiet and was very spacious.

    « The second visit »

What a great place, the rooms are great, the staff friendly and helpful. Unfortunately I did not book on our return trip to Melbourne and was unable to secure a room, but will not let that happen again. Great place everyone should stop there.

« Average for the price »

Middle of the range motel, clean modern bathroom, comfortable bed, good location on the way into town from the Sydney end , nothing exceptional. Not a lot of parking when towing a trailer, parked out front on the road.

    « Couldn't of been happier!! »

Booked online at about 11pm just after a place to sleep after travelling for 3 hours on our way to Canberra. $160 for a very spacious, modern and extremely clean suite with 2x queen beds. Kitchenette was great, even had a dishwasher. Complimentary water bottles were a bonus. Huge bathroom with shower and bath. Free wifi with great connection. Small private courtyard. Was VERY impressed with this place!! Special mention to the housekeepers, rooms were absolutely spotless. Could not of been happier.

    « Best Seafood Buffet »

Amazing seafood buffet at the restaurant 'cascades'. A great selection of cold and hot seafood options. Plenty to choose from, oysters, crab, prawns, mussels, pipes, fish, calamari. The cheese platters and dessert bar were just as good! Delicious quality food! Wonderful service :) yum!

« Nicely presented, friendly staff »

We didn't make the booking online but just turned up.. But of a mistake, don't do that! So what I thought was $140 per night became $180 per night including hot brekky, room was great (what we paid for) lovely bathroom with marble throughout.. Spa bath with MOR snow gardenia toiletries supplied.. Complimentary bottles of water and bikkies.. 2 tvs, one downstairs, one upstairs, and took DVDs which is always good, free wifi, silent effective air conditioner, lovely, new furnishings.. Also had a indoor general use spa and pool.. Walking distance from shops.. Brekky was great and catered to dairy free and gluten free well. Highly recommend

    « Lovely Motel »

Spotlessly clean and spacious room. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Nice restaurant and bar, heated swimming pool and spa, we were disappointed that we couldn't stay longer to enjoy all the amenities. The buffet breakfast was beautiful.

    « Very Good Hotel »

Hotel was very good clean very nice decor. The resteraunt was excellent and had a very nice meal. The hotel offers breakfast from 5.30am which is great for those with an early start. I was in Goulburn on business and would stay at the hotel again.

« Good value for money »

Room was clean, neat and very spacious. Set up was a little strange as the bedroom was upstairs in a loft with the kitchenette, lounge and bathroom downstairs. Stairs were pretty steep (a little scary in the middle of the night when I needed the toilet). Wouldn't recommend that style room for anyone older or unsteady on their feet. Facilities were great! Lovely clean bathroom Kitchenette was great - well equipped and modern Loved that you could park right outside our apartment, so convenient. Great location in general - 15 minute walk into the main part of town where there's plenty of restaurants/pubs/shops

    « Return visit »

Our previous visit was excellent in all respects, this visit not so good. We are pleased to see the premises being renovated with the street appeal being improved. This visit we had a lower unit in a 2 storey block with noisy upstairs tenants, corridors & pipe work. We were looking forward to dining at the restaurant because of our past experience there and the managers assurance it was even better. We perused the menu in the unit and decided to dine elsewhere while the food may be very good the prices are more for trendy inner city Melbourne or Sydney.

    « Short stay »

Hotel was clean, comfortable and convenient. Building works next door were not noisy but did detract from the aesthetics marginally. A broken air-conditioner had a replacement available but was a bit too noisy for night-time use when needed. Did not use any of the facilities. Otherwise a nice hotel.

« All good but noisy, inefficient air conditioner spoilt stay. »

There is a lot of construction & renovation happening on this site so we understand that there are going to be some inconveniences, however the air conditioning in our room was not working, so a temporary portable unit was installed. This was noisy & totally inefficient making the room quite humid & stuffy. What surprised us is that we were charged the full rate, where a discount would have been appropriate in these circumstances. Everything else was great, bed very comfortable, pillows fantastic, quality linen & products. Staff were friendly.

    « home base for Summernats 2016 »

This being our 2nd year we have stayed here as we enjoyed it the first time. Rooms had everything we could ask for and the room was always clean. Fantastic service from all staff. When a tv would not work the staff had it fixed straight away no waiting. With a onsite restaurant with a well planed menu for all meals with great service staff and chef. Can not wait for our next stay here and would recommend anyone who is looking for somewhere to stay in Goulbourn.

    « Comfortable »

Newly renovated, the hotel was clean and comfortable. We had a loft style room which was like a small townhouse. The bathroom, kitchenette and lounge downstairs and the bed upstairs. The slight downside was that you could hear the neighbour's air conditioning and the water pipes at all hours. The restaurant was great - reviewed separately.

    « Coming Home »

We travel from Paynesville to NSW quite regularly and find Goulburn to be an ideal stop over, after a long drive. The Goulburn Best Western is very comfortable, clean, modern and it is our preferred place to stay on these long trips.

« excellent service and quality »

I have been coming to this hotel for three years. The rooms are amazing everything you require. I am a sales Manager so it is important I am fully rested. The breakfast is amazing and they are able to do a special room and breakfast rate. Babbington's the on site restaurant is beautiful. They have a chef who has been here for years and is always changing the menu as to food that is in season. I would recommend anyone coming to Goulburn to stay here. :)

« Pit stop on our way home »

Stayed one night in a twin double bed room on our way home from Port Macquarie to Melbourne. Room was modern, clean and well equipped. Kids loved the pool after a 7hr drive. Beds and pillows are very comfortable... Enjoyed a short walk into town and dinner at Workers Club!!

« Fabulous service and fantastic apartment »

The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were made to feel very welcome. We had a two story apartment which the kids absolutely loved. The apartment was very clean and luxurious. The restaurant was good and there was a heated pool. Reception also gave us additional towels when they heard our children wanted to go swimming.

« Very memorable stay for me, my wife and her Guide Dog "Mia" »

Very pleasant and helpful reception staff. Restaurant staff were co-operative and friendly and the food was of high quality both for dinner and breakfast. Reception staff also took the time to re-check our bill and effect a refund of an overpayment I made due to my last minute changes to original requirements.

    « Wonderful! »

After 2 long days of driving from Brisbane to Melbourne, we stopped in Goulburn and had a wonderful experience here! Room service meals were better than some 4 star resturants, staff were very friendly, bed were like sleeping in clouds, large bath was fantastic and all the facilities were wonderful! Certainly one of the best hotel stays I have ever had!! :)

    « Rooms are Wonderful »

Best rooms microwave, sink really good television.I love the bathroom design. Beds are really comfy with a really good selection of pillows. Staff are friendly and arranged for me to be changed to a single level room to accomadate my ankle injury. It should have been a 5 only the refried bean nachos i ordered from room service, was overcooked and had no refried beans, i located 3 whole beans no mashed beans just salsa with huge pieces of onion. Couldn't taste the chèese as it had been cooked for too long.and the serve of sour cream was to small. Take the meal out of the stay and it would have been an easy 5.

    « Goulburn Stay »

Stayed here for 5 nights and found it very comfortable. Place was under construction but they worked well around it and it didn't have any effect on our stay. The bed was too soft for our liking, but was very clean and would stay there again

« Newly built Motel rooms with a boutique feel. »

We were placed in a newly built section of the Motel that replicated town houses. The modern amenities were both functional and boutique. The modern kitchen area had a stove, oven, dishwasher, full size fridge and cooking utensils for those planning a longer stay and wanted to cook their own meals. The room was immaculately clean and was spacious and so was the gorgeous bathroom. The shower pressure was fantastic and the beds and pillow were comfortable, making for a great sleep on long day trips. The split air conditioner was fantastic. Free WiFi and Free Foxtel (limited channels). The staff were friendly and informative. There was a restaurant attached to the motel but didn't dine there as went to the Soldiers Club for a meal and to watch a sporting event on a sporting channel that was not included in the room Foxtel channels. Easy access to the Highway. Insufficient parking spaces. This may be due to tradesmen sharing rooms but having more than one vehicle. However the motel was clearing some land next door to construct some more parking. The pool was small and crowded with children. Location of pool in the centre of the car park made it dangerous for young children to cross the car park to the room. Needed to drive to Town Centre as a little too far to walk. They do require a security deposit on arrival. Would recommend and definitely staying here next time we travel north.

It is rare these days to find a motel that ticks all the boxes but this one does. We had a King Loft Spa Suite. Downstairs has a work station for laptop, huge TV, 2 chairs, kitchenette and bathroom with magnificent spa bath and 2 hand basins. Upstairs a very comfortable king bed with another TV and split system aircon. Everything was spotless and well appointed. We ate at the inhouse restaurant and found all staff to be friendly and attentive. All food was nicely presented and served with a good selection of meals from which to choose (and I am a fussy eater). We had a swim in the pool but found the water was rather cold for us. Checkin and checkout were both pleasant and we had a good chat with Vicki on leaving. Highly recommend and we will stay again when travelling that way.

« Comfortable, friendly staff but small scary details »

All was nice: I was in a comfortable room with a big bed, clean toilet... But I had a disgusting surprise. I found a spider on my bed and I felt so scared because the most dangerous spiders are in Australia!! I decided to kill it with my shoe and then I went to reception to advert about that, asking for another room to stay that night and they said me that they hadn't more free rooms, so they gave me an insecticide spray to solve it!!! I couldn't belive that it was true!! But I'm still alive! Hehe As far as I'm concerned all was nice there and I recommend this hotel in spite of the aforementioned scene.

    « Theives »

Paid for the room at check in and was informed about a $100 security. The security wasn't mentioned at booking but wasn't too bothered as they assured me it would be deposited on checkout. Three days later still waiting for my $100 deposit. Funny how you can stay in places all over the world with no problem but manage to get ripped off in your own back yard. Have rang them twice and they just blame the bank. Don't stay here. Third world rip off, first world disgrace!

This hotel is amazing. We were only there overnight but they accommodated us very nicely. We arrived after the reception had closed and to our convenience they had a "late checkin" do it yourself screen. Stayed in two bedroom apartment. Beds were very comfortable and so were the pillows. Shower pressure was amazing. We needed the wifi password and that was only available at reception. We sent them an email and within 5 minutes we had the wifi password. Very quiet and in good location. Highly recommended

    « $100 deposit »

I booked one night stay for 4 adults and 2 kids cost $265 in December 2015 through apparently no deposit and free cancellation I used a debit card with no money in it to book the room just in case they got greedy and wanted to help them selves early well they rang me two days prior to us checking in saying my card had been declined oh really, so they wanted another credit card so they could get hold of my money nice and early so I gave it to them, when we arrived they demanded another $100 and my drivers licence (welcome to Goulburn) under the guise of some sort of security pretty sure they already had my credit card details if I was to drink one of their over priced bar fridge items. just a bad experience with this greedy place and instead of the management replying with their standard answers about the $100 deposit rubbish maybe they could actually listen to what the customer wants and get rid of it. None of the other 5 places we stayed at made us pay $100 for nothing.

    « Spacious and clean »

Stayed here for one night over Xmas period visiting family. Booking in was so friendly and efficient. The room was spacious and clean with everything you need especially for a short stay. The bed is heavenly and the room so big. Again a lovely well appointed bathroom with shower and separate bath. Including great toiletries. There is a bit of expansion going on which did not affect the stay. Great place. Checkout also a breeze. Would recommend. Free wifi a definite bonus.

    « 3 bedroom apartment »

Staying in a 3 bedroom apartment for the holidays with the family. It is good that they have apartments available for families. But the apartment is a 5 minute walk from reception. The driveway right up to the door is full of pebbles which makes it hard to walk on especially if you wear heels. The layout of the bathroom is badly done though. Have to twist around on the toilet just to reach the toilet paper. But the bedrooms are nice and comfortable. But would be nice if they had bins in rooms. The kitchen is nice enough and suits our needs as a family.

« Beautifully renovated, comfortable and clean place to stay »

I wasn't expecting much from a Best Western, and the place was in the middle of renovations when I arrived, but the ground floor unit I stayed in had been renovated and was very nicely kitted out, especially for a small country town Best Western! I'd be happy to go back any time. Convenient location, after hours check-in capability (including "just turn up" style automated check in). Despite being on main road, design means that the units are very quiet - lovely bed too!

« Great Value for Money »

We booked a suite on the first floor. It was well appointed, and the beds were comfortable. Considering the tariff I felt the room to be of very good value. We noticed an odour when we first entered the room. We traced it to the shower drain. I spoke to reception, and they dealt with my complaint in a swift manner. The smell would probably not pervaded the room as it did originally if there was better ventilation in the shower suite. Also, given the size of the entire suite, the toilet cubicle could have been a little more spacious. Even being fit and capable as I am, I felt uncomfortable with virtually no room to move once the door to the toilet was closed. I must say that the design flaws, although they did detract from the experience of our stay, they did not detract from that experience by much. Over all, the suite was very nice and very good value for money.

« Good value and quality. »

A very handy motel to the center of Goulburn. The King unit we had overnight was obtained at a very good price and was found to be spacious and spotlessly clean. An upstairs spacious bedroom over a small lounge/kitchenette area with a work desk and TV and large bathroom downstairs. Access to the upstairs bedroom may be a little issue for the elderly or infirm or if one was to perhaps overindulge a little in alcoholic beverages. The stairs are quite steep and with the bathroom being downstairs a bit of care has to be taken to negotiate at night without lighting up the whole unit and waking all occupants. Maybe a little more thought with that design but certainly no deal breaker at all. I'm sure there are other easy access room options for those who need them as it is a fairly large complex. The bed was extremely comfortable and the air conditioning was quiet and efficient. when combined with the cleanliness, price and access to town via a quick 5-10 minute level walk, Best Western Goulburn ticks most boxes for either an overnighter or extended stay. The motel was easy to deal with for bookings and the gentleman on the desk was both efficient and friendly. We didn't eat at the motel so I'm unable to comment on that aspect. There is a glassed in pool available which looked inviting as well. Parking was fine for even the most challenged of parking lot negotiators. Happy to recommend and certainly happy to revisit. Well done.

    « Very good stopover »

I stayed here after visiting the Blue Mountains. Was very happy with the room, with the exception of the internet connection (that seemed to be the constant during my trip). I did not go to the restaurant. For the rest, there are more than enough positive other reviews of this hotel so that I do not have to detail again, trust the other reviews :) I would definitely choose this hotel again if back in the area.

« Absolutely Fantastic stay Customer service second to none »

Arrived on the first night of our first ever family holiday with our 10 minth old. Stayed in room 120. Room was spacious sleek modern and spotless! All the amenities you need for a travelling family microwave fridge (& separate minibar) sink kettle and toaster! The bathroom is amazing! Again spacious with huge bath and shower Plenty of room to put up a cot and still move around and some chaors to relax on. Staff here are amazing Super friendly, accommodating and just completely lovely! Make sure you go to the Cascades restaurant (on site) during your stay. The food is unforgettable, beautiful cocktails delicious coffee and desserts! Cannot recommend enough! Will definately be back!!

We have stayed at the BW Goulburn previously and were impressed by the facilities so we decided to stay again. Although there were extensive restorations occurring, they were unobtrusive. The room was great, very comfortable, room service was prompt, the restaurant for breakfast was excellent and staff very friendly. We will stay again if travelling in the area in the future.

    « Surpassed expectations! »

We stayed at the Best Western Goulburn recently to attend a family wedding. The reception was held there, so we decided to stay there as well. The premises are undergoing renovations at the moment to upgrade the ageing facilities. What a pleasant surprise then to open the door to a very large and obviously recently refurbished room. It is so nice to have plenty of space to stretch out and not feel closed in. Everything worked well and the comfort level was very high. I would thoroughly recommend this Motel. Don`t be put off by the renovations. It is a small price to pay for excellent quality of the rooms.

    « Family trip »

Perfect room set up.Heaps of room with the upstairs loft.Comfy beds.Excellent value for money.Shower had a floor repair at some stage and metal grate was a bit uncomfortable. We stayed at motel in Manly in a room three times the price and this is on par with it.

« A wonderful night in an utterly wonderful motel »

We arrived at the Best Western Goulburn on Tuesday 8th September 2015. It was cold and raining at the time, but when we arrived inside our motel room, we forgot all about the weather outside. It was really lovely, clean, luxurious and spacious inside, and we were able to park our car outside the door. We ate at the motel's restaurant, and enjoyed a good and delicious meal. Our bed was comfortable, and we enjoyed a very good sleep. The staff were very friendly (Goulburn is a very friendly town!!) and we'd have to say that our accommodation was far and away above average. Juliana and Shawn, Port Macquarie, N.S.W.

    « A grade accommodation »

Very impressed with this business. The rooms are ultra modern and prestige. Huge bed, stone bench tops, extravagant bathroom and professional and knowledgeable staff. No expense has been spared in the room fit out. 5 stars.

« As good as any 4.5 star hotel in Sydney »

This was our 4th stay at this establishment on our return trip from Sydney. We like the location as it allows us to spend the day in Sydney then head to Goulburn late in the afternoon for the trip back to Ballarat the next day. I have always found the reception staff pleasant even when under pressure when busy and this was no exception. This hotel is currently undergoing renovation of some of the remaining rooms however those that have been renovated have been done to a high standard. Our room of choice includes 2 queen beds, well equipped kitchenette (full sized fridge) and very accommodating bathroom. The beds are very comfortable and linen is of a good quality. We have never heard any outside noise therefore the sleep quality is excellent. We didn't try the restaurant at night however noted it appeared well patronised. We did have the cooked breakfast which was enjoyable. The only negative, and it's only a small one is the price is at the higher end for motel accommodation ($195/night). Having said that, it's still cheaper then most lesser quality HOTELS in Sydney. We will certainly return on our next trip back from Sydney.

    « School holiday's »

Tried booking this place on line but alas booked out. Phoned direct & they still had rooms, pretty common for these establishments to do this & their perogative. Upon arrival reception was very busy, the normal credit card details & was billed an extra $100.00 for incidentals ?? wasnt going to argue. Entering our room noted the lack of furniture but aa bloody big computer desk, @ lounge chairs & 2 fridges 1 contained alchoholic drinks worth a great deal of money & the other as exokained in jthe compendium for the house guests. Seperate bathroom with spa. Something missing ?? no bed it was upstairs with the rest of the lounge setting, something missing ?? the only loo was downstairs, right handy for a pee during the night !! Overall was very disappointed with the layout & furnishing, the price was over the top too. Upon checking out the next morning requested the $100.00 be credited back to my account & given some cock & bull story that basically said no-one asks for that, asked how does 1 get it then ?? Will it be automatically credited ?? advised only if you ask for it to be. Too confusing for me, but eventually it was credited.

« Wonderful room but unfriendly staff »

I was lucky enough to stay in one of the 2 floor refurbished rooms for a night. It was very clean and comfortable. The desk for work was great and being able to sleep upstairs seemed to help me sleep better. The bathroom door was a tight squeeze with the long bench in bathroom. The front desk staff weren't friendly at all but the room was a highlight for me.

    « Happy to recommend »

If you're looking for a place to stay on the way to Wombeyan Caves coming from Sydney, look no further. Best Western Goulburn offers presentable rooms with all you need. Bath tubs a hit with the kids with fountain styled bath heads, giving parents a much deserved break. While the pool is oddly placed in the middle of the car park, it offers a chance to have a dip and enjoy the hot tub. We would have preferred a "bubble switch" for the hot tub and in turn creating a spa, but again, happy that we could enjoy the hot water to relax and unwind. We booked one night that became two.

    « NICE & TIDY »

A great place to stay in Goulburn, staff are very very friendly, and make you feel as if you are welcome. the restaurant was excellent, serving a filet steak that was grilled to perfection. At the end of the day, the spa was relaxing.

« Disappointing room but breakfast great! »

The hotel has two ages of room and sadly we were in the old rooms which definitely need an upgrade. It was a family room (queen and single bed) and the bathroom was very cosy. We had to complain about the queen mattress but the staff took a look and swapped it for a new one which allowed for a much better second nights sleep. Some members of our group were in the new wing and there was no comparison - spacious room, fab bathroom and more luxurious by far. The staff were very friendly and the buffet breakfast was great. Very convenient for the centre of town and Goulburn's attractions.
