Best Western Fredericksburg

This was a very nice hotel. Rooms are spacious and clean. Front desk assistant was very helpful. Breakfast was very good and breakfast lady was very nice. We would stay here again. Conveniently located. Only problem was the second night someone in the room above us was dropping or bouncing something on the floor occasionally that thumped our ceiling.

Stayed in two Best Western hotels in two different states on our trip. Both were clean and safe with good breakfast buffets. Also excellent staff. We have stayed in many other hotels over the years this hotel is at the top of our list.

Room and bathroom were spacious . Breakfast was not very good at all. Our room was not ready for another hour even though we arrived after check in hours. Isabel at the desk was very rude and not helpful at all. I will not recommend or stay again.

We booked this at the last minute while traveling with our dog. The room was amazingly clean, the front desk person was friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable. Despite being busy it was very quiet. Breakfast is the best offering I've ever seen at a hotel. Fresh fruit, oatmeal, yogurt bar, scrambled eggs and everything else you'd expect, but they had a lovely woman who made an omelet for you to order. I've only seen that at restaurants or resorts. This was exceptional. There is a nice place to walk your dog. I don't usually write reviews on hotels, but this one was so nice I had to say something. Wow. It makes me feel I need to choose Best Westerns all the time, but I have the feeling that this one is the stand out.

My wife and I stay at this hotel on our travels to Florida each year and we enjoy the hospitality each time. Rooms are clean and tidy with comfortable beds. Staff are friendly and breakfast is hot and served by a friendly hostess who prepares and oversees.

Always stay at Best Western on our trip from New York to Myrtle Beach, SC. We also do the return back to NY. Clean, friendly employees, delicious breakfast . Never a problem in the 20 years traveling.

We choose this location because we have always had great stays at Best Western. Traveling from Florida to upstate New York and the weather was a mess. Easy on and off interstate. I made the reservation about 1 hour before arriving and check in was fast. My husband wasn't feeling well and I asked for some tea bags to fix him a hot cup- there was no hesitation in my request. Our room was clean and comfortable. The mini frig freezer was actually cold enough to refreeze our ice block for our cooler. Breakfast was great- freshly scrambled eggs and bacon that a staff member prepared at a table and then served up on your plate. Very accommodating and friendly service. To get to the office and breakfast you did have to walk outside but you could do this by using the covered walkway.

Car was broken into. Christmas presents damaged. Broken glass all over the gifts. While cleaning up the mess we were locked out of the room because the battery in the door lock died. Had to wait for the maintenance man to show up to work to fix the issue. Not a pleasant way to start the day Christmas weekend.

Needed an overnight stop on a road trip and BW Fredericksburg fit the bill. It is right off of 95 and has ample parking right outside of the rooms. While we did not partake in the free hot breakfast, we did fill our travel mugs with some hot, fresh brewed coffee as we headed out the next day. The rooms were a little dated but clean and comfortable. The tv had lots of channels and there are SO many dining options within a mile of the hotel. Great room for the price.

We have been staying here for the last 6 years while traveling in Spring and in the Fall to Adirondacks in NY ! Rooms for our Dog Sierra is always clean. The Breakfasts area are always clean and always a Great Variety to choose from for Breakfast . Love the Staff !

The staff was very pleasant, however our room had a few minor issues. The door to our room did not close tightly. You could pull it about 1/4 of an inch when locked. The bathroom floor was uneven making it extremely hard to shut and there was a gap in the flooring by the bathroom entrance that was filled with dirt.

I had issues with another hotel chain that I have been loyal to for over 20 years. This led me to seek out an alternative. BW Fredericksburg checked all of the boxes: reasonably priced, reasonable pet fee and good rating. This location did not disappoint. It was welcoming and clean.The only change I would make is to update the bathroom. It's a bit 1960s, but still clean. Thanks BW Fredericksburg for exceeding my expectations!

This was a great place when travelling with our dog. The rooms in the rear of the motel were reserved for pets and this worked out very well both for us and our dog. The location was near to Interstate I-95 and convenient to restaurants and shopping. The staff was very polite and accommodative. Not a luxury facility and served our purposes well.

It was OK. Tub filled with water during a shower. Could hear neighbors through the bathroom vent.....they weren't feeling well. Not within walking distance of downtown - which is really nice. Clean. Breakfast ha dmade to order eggs. It was OK. I wasn't dissatisfied, but it would be worth the extra cost to be downtown. I would probably stay elsewhwere. We did get a discount for less than Expedia when we offered AARP ot AAA.

We booked here because of the price. Beds were comfortable. Toilet ran constantly and cold water valve in shower wouldn't stop turning. Maintenance addressed those issues. The rooms smell terrible. Possibly due to dirty air conditioners. We had a large bug in our bathroom and my son found an ant in his bed in his room. The pool was nice and clean. Breakfast was good. They serve you over a table rather than let you serve yourself which was strange. Front desk and breakfast staff not too friendly but maintenance staff very friendly and helpful. They do not provide housekeeping unless you ask and even then I felt like it was a bother. Housekeeping did a nice job refreshing the room for our second night though. All and all it was an affordable place to stay and see Fredericksburg on our way home from a beach vacation. I would probably look for a different place next time.

Front desk staff was rude and made my daughter uncomfortable with the persistent questioning regarding her service dog. She was asked repeatedly what her disability was and how this dog assisted her. She has papers that show she is a service dog, that should be all that is needed. It made her very uncomfortable and she felt unwelcome.

I was able to book our reservation via the mobile app while we were driving, which was very convenient. The hotel is close to I95 and the check in process was easy. The room was clean and they were pet friendly. There was a dunkin donuts within walking distance which was great for our morning coffee. We would stay there again.

First, can't beat the convenience- right off the exit from 95. And.. Dunkin is right in front of the motel! Our room was nice and clean with fresh wallpaper, bedspread, etc. There were a couple of old photos from old Virginia days. The powder area was attractive and had lvp flooring. The motel is just a few minutes from the downtown Fredericksburg area.

The property is older but everything outside of the bathroom is updated. Comfy beds and pillows! Made to order eggs and great fresh fruit at breakfast. Vinyl plank in the room was great for our dog. First floor motel room setup was also great for our dog. Very quiet but there was nobody near us.

This was a great check in experience. I pick BW because of the free hot breakfast and that they usually allow pets. The room was clean, the dog hates the linoleum floor, so we needed to use our towels for him to walk in the room! The bathroom was clean. The travelers with pet area are the back rooms of the hotel, they face a parking lot and a high fence, however folks were walking through the lot and around the fence area later in the night, not sure what is over there but when you are traveling alone and bringing your dog to the dog area it feels a bit sketchy. I have seen management response to this before, that they keep the pets in a certain area due to allergies, I get that but maybe it can be a different area or have some really great lighting back there and tell us upon arrival if the area is truly safe at 1:00 am for the dreaded trip outside. Breakfast, if you like freshly made scrambled eggs you are in luck. They have a person making you eggs, however if you want hard boiled you are out of luck because the person will not get you a hardboiled egg in her space until she is done making the 3 people in front of you, their eggs. I tried to interrupt as she gave someone their eggs and she just keeps saying 2 minutes and keeps her back to everyone until their eggs are ready. I tried to grab a to go container to go over and get other food and she kind of scolded me and took it back. some of the folks in the line got a kick out of that. Maybe put the hard eggs out for folks to grab? It is not due to COVID because the bread and bagels are in a container that folks are reaching their hands into. Last issue was this was an adjoining room, I did not request that. When the folks on the other side arrived fairly late in the evening, they were either very loud or the door is thin, we could hear the words they were saying. My dog could not keep himself away from the door, sniffing at all hours, request a room without that door if you have a pet that is a sniffer. It is easy to get here right off the highway and I will come back, maybe not get eggs. Unlike other reviews there were no bugs, you can get the first floor and park your car right in front of your room. Of course, so does everyone else so you hear a lot of car beeps as people arrive and leave in the wee hours.

Everything about our stay at this motel was good. From the warm reception at check in, to the clean room, to the very good breakfast (actual blueberries, strawberries and pineapple!) . We have 2 dogs and there is a great area to walk them. Would highly recommend!

We stayed at this BW property on the last night of our road trip. Just note, if you are in a room on the second floor, there is no elevator. The outside is a little shabby, but our room was clean and comfortable. The TV did not initially work but a quick call to the front desk had someone up in a jiffy to take care of the problem. Overall, a good stay.

traveling to a funeral in NC we stopped last minute and rented a room to get some rest. The room was not clean and had cockroaches. We were absolutely mortified. Unfortunately, for safety purposes, we could not drive any longer and were forced to stay. It was also the middle of the night and we were beyond exhausted from driving, we did not have the capacity to look for another hotel and had to be on the road by 6am. We took our belongings to the car and kept our coats and shoes on. We kept the lights on hoping to keep the bugs away but this did not stop them. I am appalled and disgusted at this experience and we will absolutely never stay at a Best Western ever again.

Comfortable hotel recently decorated and very clean and tidy. Good breakfast included with an egg station and real cooked eggs not the plastic rubbish so often served. Don't be put off by the location behind another building off the main orad it is quiet and very convenient for the centre of Fredericksburg My only complaint is the huge volume of plastic waste generated. What is wrong with real mugs plates and cutlery?

We stayed there for two nights. We requested a quiet room and extra pillows. They delivered on quiet room, but we couldn't get extra pillows because....COVID. It's October 2022.How long are they going to play that card? We had to go buy some pillows so that we could sleep better. Breakfast was ok and the staff was pleasant. For the price paid it was a decent motel. Convenient location. I would consider staying there again, but I'll be sure to bring extra pillows.

We typically use the BW brand when we travel south to Florida. We typically stay at the one in Brunswick Georgia. This trip was to attend a tournament so after a long day in the gym, we just needed a place to reset and get a good nights sleep. While this is an older building we were very happy with the room and its cleanliness and how comfortable the linens and bed were. They are listed as queen size beds but they feel more like a full size. Wi-Fi was very handy and worked well. We had a small fridge which we needed as we had foods that needed to be kept chilled. There was also a small microwave but didn't use it. Front desk was very professional and helpful. Great location to I-95 for quick access heading North or South. The breakfast offered was good if you need something quick to get back on the road. There are plenty of other restaurants at this exit if you need something else altogether. We would stay here again.

Check in staff was pleasant, nice reception. Room was clean but shower was horrible and toilet ran. Mattress cover was lumpy. Didn't report it as it was late. Just had to jiggle handle on toilet to get it to stop. Very antiquated plumbing.

Debra is the rudest customer service front desk associate I've ever had to deal with especially for day shift, that do not even have to deal with many guests, she's just rude, and from what I've seen my entire stay which was several months she seems racist, she's hateful toward the housekeeping staff I saw the 2 day shift desk associates making the Spanish housekeeping staff knocking dead leaves out of the bushes and trees on the property, I've worked at hotels before and NEVER have we been made to knock dead leaves out the bushes and trees on the property landscapers were hired to do the trimming of the bushes and trees on the property and keep the grass cut but never seen anyone having to beat dead leaves out of anything! Had ordered bday and Christmas gifts for my 13 year old daughter and had them delivered to best western because I was staying there at the time and I let the day desk associates know they said it was ok once I got the first few, Debra then claimed I couldn't have them sent there and claimed I couldn't have them and supposedly she started sending them back with the postal driver but the post office claimed they didn't have them and tracked them all back to best western my packages were never recovered and couldn't get refunded because the places I purchased them from never received them back so I am out several hundred dollars and someone from best western has my 13 year old daughters bday and Christmas gifts or the post office lied about them not having them, regardless Debra from best western was the reason I'm out money, my daughter not getting her gifts. If it wasn't ok to have them delivered there she never should have said it was ok. Debra also wouldn't give me a room key she claimed with a nasty attitude she could only give one key out which my husband had that day but that she could go and let me in, hotels give 1 key per guest we were 2 guests so why couldn't they give 2 keys, the other lady that works with Debra sat there smirking at me as Debra treated me the way she treated me, back to the racism my husband is African American and I'm Spanish, there was never any rule of having to go smoke in a particular area either and guests smoked outside their rooms but the moment I smoked outside my door I was given a typed note which was given to me by Debra that I had to smoke in the designated area which was just set up as they were making the note for me. And because I never smoked during their shift they accused me of smoking in the room which wasn't the case, and were made to checkout every 28th day for 24 hours all of a sudden after we had been there a few months everyday, I believe that was their way of trying to get us to leave which after months of having to pack up our things every 28th day to checkout and go somewhere else for 24 hours we got tired of it and didn't go back, Debra and the other lady Susan acted like they owned the best western they literally followed housekeeping as they had to beat the dead leaves out the trees and bushes, sounds like slave labor 2 white women making the Spanish people beating dead leaves out the trees! They need to hire better day desk staff and get rid of those 2 hateful most likely racist slave driving women, at least put someone posing as a guest and see how they really are when their bosses aren't watching!

We booked this hotel an hour before arriving on a road trip home. Everything about the hotel was wonderful, from the staff to the room to the breakfast. This hotel is pet friendly which is exactly what we needed, great experience and highly recommend!

Great location. Clean, comfortable. Pool, great breakfast. Feel very safe here when traveling lone. Always welcomed back each time I return. Beds are always very comfortable. Dunkin' Donuts right next door.

We are rewards members with Best Western. We were traveling north to MA for a wedding and had not stayed at this location previously. Very happy we chose this location. The motel is a bit older but the rooms were well kept and very clean. The beds were the most comfortable on our trip. The breakfast is average at best an attendant was not real friendly but no issues. Scoped out the Sedona Taphouse which was just a few minutes away and had a great meal and some good brews! Will definitely stay here again if in the area.

It's the midway point in my travel from Qc to Fla... Perfect place to stop. Staff is friendly, rooms are clean, beds are comfortable... The only thing is the internet is sometimes a bit slow depending on room location.

We have been using this Best Western as a stop in our travels when on I -95. Over the years the service has been excellent and the facility has been maintained. Clean, reasonably priced, and excellent customer service are essential to our willingness to return year after year.

Everything was excellent! The pool is outside, very private and stays open till 10pm. Our room was so clean and we really liked how you could grab extra towels outside near the pool for your shower. Water pressure from the shower head was on point. The beds were very comfortable and the air conditioning was nice and cold. They even have room service if you happen to need it. This place is in an awesome location. Plenty of restaurants, gas stations, and stores for any and all your needs within a half mile. I can't say enough about the hot buffet breakfast! They had it all…scrambled eggs, sausage, pancakes, bagels w/ cream cheese, fruit salad, English muffins, pastries and so much more. We will be back!

Our room was OK, but the carpet was stained in several areas, and the drapes did not completely close because of a broken clip on one end. In the morning after an OK breakfast (hard boiled eggs, breads, cereal, waffles etc)we buzzed for the elevator to go to the 3rd floor. The elevator arrived and we got in, only to find that the button for the 3rd floor was missing. We had to take the elevator to the 4th floor and walk down. On the plus side, they had coffee in the lobby round the clock.

Traveled with pets and needed a room for one night. The hotel is older, but was clean and the beds were comfortable. It is within a half mile of a lot of restaurants and shopping. The two gentlemen working the front desk were very kind and helpful. If you have pets, you get a room in the back of the building, which was fine, but you do get charged a $15/ pet/night fee, which I feel is a bit steep. I can understand charging a pet fee, but not per pet. Overall my experience was good and I would stay here again.

We stopped here When driving from Florida to NY Easy access from 95 north. Good restaurants nearby Our room was spacious with a comfortable king sized bed. And in a good location for our golden retriever on the ground floor near the pet relief area which had pick up tools and bags The pool on the property was clean and very private. The rates were very reasonable.the staff was very friendly. I can't give it 5 stars because the bathroom shower needed updating and the breakfast buffet was limited with weak coffee.

Stayed overnight on June13, 2022 while traveling with my service dog (10 lb.maltipoo) from Bonita Springs , FL to NY. The room was a pet friendly room way in the back of the hotel. It was decrepit. Old, floors peeling, tiles surrounding bathtub were disgusting. Had to spray tiles with hot water before showering. King size bed had 4 pillows HALF THE SIZE OF A STANDARD PILLOW. basically the size of throw pillows. Bathroom was so small that if you wanted to close the door you practically had to stand in the bathtub to close the door and the door JUST BARELY cleared the toilet. So this would create a safety concern if someone were sitting on the toilet and needed help. You wouldn't be able to open the door! Room was clearly not ready as even the refrigerator wasn't plugged in. In all my 72 Years, I have never stayed at a more disgusting hotel. Just the night before, I stayed at the Best Western Plus in Hardeeville, SC. and had a totally different experience. Room was pet friendly, clean, updated beautiful bathroom, clean carpeting and LESS MONEY!

The pet friendly room was disgusting...it reeked of pet urine...the laminate floors were sticky and buckled from the urine and the attempt to clean them...there was mildew around the tub and on the floor around the toilet...the sink was clogged and the pillows smelled like mildew...the TV and internet kept shutting off ...I was told by the front desk to unplug and reboot, which worked, but I had to do it 3 times during the night....it was gross...

The room was a bit small, but otherwise everything was great. The breakfast was very good. The local Civil War battle sights were convenient and the town of Fredericksburg was charming and fun to explore.

When we visited the property there were masses of flowers azaleas, pansies and many more in bloom, really nice landscaping. on the third day we were there a group was playing boom boxes out by the pool later in the evening( 11) the front desk sent someone out within minutes politely informed the group there were complaints about their noise level. They left with no issue

First time in Fredericksburg and glad I stayed at this Best Western. Plenty of parking right off 95 on Plank Road with a Dunkin's next door! Friendly check in staff with a delicious full hot breakfast included made by a caring staff. Very clean dining room and guest room. Keep in mind if you want an upstairs room, there is no elevator...and I had packed too much in my bag and had to lug it up 14 steps. LOL. All in all a good deal for the price, in an easy access area. Lots of restaurants, shopping etc ...

Well kept hotel. The beds were very comfortable and the room was clean. You can tell it's an older hotel. However, it has been well maintained. The decor has been updated. The breakfast area is very small and you feel as though you are in top of one another eating. Breakfast was free but not that appetizing. The location is easy to get to and checkin and out was a breeze!

The room is clean and the beds are comfy. The breakfast is great, a wonderful selection of hot and cold items. The service is friendly. We enjoy being able to take our pet. We stop on our way south and back again.

We left very early in the morning 100am and were able to go to the office and fill our travel mugs with coffee. We thought that was great that we didn't have to find a location that was open to get our coffee for the road.

The most comfortable bed I've ever slept on at hotel I have ever stayed at. The location was close to exit and lots of restaurants close to hotel. Very clean room and I would choose to stay here again.

On a road trip with the dog. The room was easily accessible, We parked right next to the room. Areas nearby for the dog to go potty. Room was recently renovated, bathroom clean but a little old fashioned. Easy on off the 95

Easy on /off of 95. Accepts pet for a $30 fee. Room was fairly clean except under the bed was never swept. No carpeting which to me is great as carpets end up getting filthy. Wifi worked fine, breakfast was the usual fare. Front desk accommodated our special request of having a room on the bottom floor which was very helpful and something I found other Best Westerns seem to ignore. Would stay here again for an overnight when traveling down 95.

An excellent place to stay. Clean, great location, welcomes are 4 legged kids. It is in a great location. Close to downtown Fredericksburg ,as well as, shopping and exploring the Battlefields which are educational. Something for everyone.

Staff was very professional. The room we stayed in was old & a little smelly. Bathroom was not that clean, floors sticky & carpet was old & gross. We only stayed because we were on the road and to exhausted to drive further

Hotel needs updating. Toilet was constantly running until my husband fixed himself. No water pressure in the shower. Front desk clerk was very polite and friendly, however woman serving breakfast was rude and unfriendly.

We were caught in the storm that stopped EVERYTHING in Fredericksburg, but we were one of the lucky few that were able to get off i95 (but not by much). After hours within that nightmare, we were even LUCKIER to get the last room at this hotel. Consider it a miracle they had power, and kept it through the night. The parking lot was PLOWED, (nothing was plowed for miles around!), the room was immaculate, Victor at the front desk remained calm and professional during an extremely stressful night, offering us coffee, water and use of the bathrooms before we were sure we could get a room. I can't give enough stars for what ALL of the staff at this hotel deserves. A blessing during a nightmare! We will be back!

The motel was an average type motel. Room was clean but very plain. Bathroom clean outdated. When i checked in was told they might not have a Pet room but they finally came up with one Was 2 Queens not a King like i requested. Our room was on the top floor and they allowed smoking outside Ash tray was next to our room and people would come down and smoke and talk. Wasn't even aware they still allowed this. If i had know this was gonna be like this would of booked a different motel

We had been using LaQuinta hotels when we travel because we travel with our smallldog. Their quality has declined considerably so we thought we would try Best Western. This experience was superb...clean room, great customer service, attention to Covid considerations, and pet friendly. Highly recommend this Best Western if you're traveling through Fredericksburg.

Clean, decent rooms, but exterior doors. People walked by our door at all hours of the night and we felt unsafe. Inadequate parking. We finally found a space far from our room. There is inadequate lighting outdoors. Hot breakfast was very nice. Room was clean and comfortable.

Convenient location in the heart of Fredericksburg , right in between route 1 and I95 close to many restaurants. The rooms are older and could use updating but my room was clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly.

Great stop over heading down 95. Liked that I could actually pick out a pet friendly room. Grassy area for my dog was nice. The beds were very comfortable. All rooms were outside rooms with the pet friendly on the main floor. The front desk staff was so friendly.

The BW was up to the standards of other excellent BW hotels. Excellent for the money and very courteous to seniors. Pets are welcome but we do not have any... and there was no problem at all. Walk between the first floor office/breakfast room and our room (2nd floor, just stairs.) was a bit tedious and could seem a bit dangerous to more timid folks ..... the stairs were in a lighted "alley" with the steps no in view of the hotel office. That could feel like an uncomfortable adventure for some older folks. The room was very nice, although frill-free, it had all we needed and was very good to excellent for what we paid. Everything was clean and well-prepared. The office and breakfast personnel were very courteous and helpful. The breakfast was a treat considering what is going on these days when traveling. There was plenty (hot and cold) to eat and drink and of very god quality. We would book there again ... but knowing we had to handle such full traffic at 5 to 6 pm, we would have to give it some thought. The streets there were a bit difficult to maneuver. TV was very good and easy to manipulate.

Our room was very clean and free of any smells. The beds and pillows were comfortable. They had sufficient options for breakfast including a hot meal. The coffee was delicious. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful. And all this at a very reasonable rate.

Stopped here on our way back home from a road trip. Very clean and was great to have a hot breakfast again. Only negative was shower. Was great water pressure but no adjustable shower head. Overall stay was fantastic. Would stay here again.

We were a late arrival and Ryan at the front desk was awesome. He greeted us, was friendly and gave us all the information we needed. The room was clean, beds were comfortable and we even saw Ryan walking the grounds making sure everything was okay. We had a puppy and it was very dog friendly with a dog area outside near the pool. We will stay there again absolutely. Thank you Ryan.

This is a pleasant family motel that deserves 5 stars in its class. It's an older hotel that's been given a lovely upgrade. The buildings are well kept and freshly painted; grounds and the pool are well maintained and attractively landscaped. The rooms are spotlessly clean; curtains and linens are fresh and comfortable (far better than a big chain I just stayed at). Pet friendly rooms have high quality wooden laminate floors and there is free wi-fi, a coffee maker, iron/board and dryer in every room. Plenty of towels, new furniture, and a free hot breakfast. The hotel is two stories with drive-up outside access rooms. Right off 95, the hotel is situated between a well maintained commercial area and a nice residential district. Rooms in the back are particularly quiet. Close to restaurants, shopping and the convention center. Staff is friendly and helpful. It's a simple motel that is a great bargain for the price.

Extremely comfortable stay. Very clean and friendly with easy check in plus they have express checkout. The location is right off the highway and near fast food and restaurants. A grand location when traveling.

This is a mid rank hotel, but the management has done a nice job with creating a nice space, especially outdoors in the back of the property. The garden and seating areas offer a tranquil space to hang out outdoors. The bathrooms were out of date, but the sleeping areas are well decorated and comfortable. A hot breakfast is offered, which is a plus. The staff did a good job of assisting the breakfast crowd in tight quarters. They even provide to-go containers as needed. Overall, I recommend this hotel as an in expensive option for a hotel stay. The check out process was quick and even contact free.

I really found this property very acceptable for the rate. The rooms were clean and up to date. There was an attendant for breakfast. Grounds were well maintained. Good experience! Certainly recommend for the business traveler and families

On the first day when we took a shower it flooded the whole bathroom almost fell trying to get out not only did it flood the floor but the bathtub back up and filled up the tub of water while I was taking a shower we called they said wait till 6 AM no one ever came when we left came back later in the afternoon still no one had came there were wet towels on the floor in the bathroom still that we put there to soak up the water the beds were not touched or made in our room hadn't even been acknowledged the whole day finally because we called again they moved us to another room where that toilet backed up and we needed to ask for a plunger to rectify the situation ourselves , there pool was OK but it was warm like bathwater which was kinda gross

I booked a room for an overnight stay based on reviews and was extremely disappointed!! This place looks like an old comfort inn. It was dirty, dank and disgusting. I don't feel safe because anyone can come off the street and try to break in but also the room is so damn dirty I'm afraid of bringing bugs home with me. Also I was charged $138 for a pet room. I could've gotten something MUCH better for that price. So pissed - don't make the same mistake!!

Nightmares are more enjoyable. Pets accepted, do not stay if you want your pet to be sick all night, pet friendly room was a gross, dirty, disgusting, filthy fake wood floors, dirty lines, furniture, vagrants walking around the property, gross. Staff sucked.

The best Western was clean and the people were friendly. the pool is outdoors and well-kept. It was a nice deep pool! The grounds were well-kept and the rooms were clean. I would wreck amend this hotel to a friend anytime. We will be back! After all for 100 bucks what do you want.?

Arrived late afternoon. The hotel is right off I-95...but the sign is not significant and the hotel sits back off the road, so finding the entrance was a little confusing. Aside from that, the building also does not stand out, but once I found the entrance, all was good! 1st floor room was clean and modern. I needed a place to stay on my drive from NC to PA and this was great midway point. Traveling alone, I wanted something inexpensive. For only 1 night, I needed a clean place to sleep. Anything I found under $100 had less than good reviews. Aside from the clean room, the pool, hidden toward the back of the property looked clean and inviting. I would have taken a swim, but didn't have time. Recommend this hotel for anyone needing a stopping point. Location provided a lot of dining options. I would stay here again!

We were very happy with our stay at BW in Fredericksburg. I read other reviews of other hotels in the area and glad I picked BW. The pool was great for the grandkids too! Everyone was nice, friendly or just a smile!

This is a two story older motel type property. No interior halls. Room is comfortable and clean. Bathroom is dated but functional. This is a good value and free breakfast. Lots of restaurants within 5 minute drive. I recommend Park Lane Tavern!

The gentleman that checked us in was great. He was friendly and professional and got us out quickly. We had a first floor room near the office. The bed was very comfortable, the refrigerator worked well and the room was clean. However, there were ants in the bathroom and in the dressing area (where the sink is located). We were only sleeping there so I didn't want to make a fuss. I did notify them when I checked out of the room. At night we could clearly hear people talking through the vent in the bathroom. It was so loud we had to keep the bathroom door closed. We had a little trouble getting the television to work but after a little fiddling with the settings we were able to watch television. The breakfast was a bit below average. They did have eggs and sausage but they weren't very good. I personally don't plan on staying their again, which is a shame because I do like Best Western hotels. This one just wasn't quite as nice as other locations.

Short weekend stay. good Southern Hospitality was treated very well I have no complaints I will definitely stay here again. They have maybe one of the best breakfast around for hotel with out a big name. business and for leisure they wont disappoint you.

The customer service was perfect. Everyone was very friendly. We enjoyed the area and location was close to lots of things to do. This was a second stay. We were so happy the first time. The pool was clean and open. Breakfast was hot and organized.

Nice motel for quick stopover while traveling. Limited places to eat within walking distance but the one barbecue place was good. Metro Diner closes early. Quick and easy on and off of I-95. I would use the motel again

good value and well maintained property. It is a little far from downtown Fredricksburg. It is close to some malls and "regular" shopping. You need to drive to most attractions and to get a quality dinner options.

The bathroom was a little dated. But all in all the hotel is friendly close to shopping and historical sites. The bed was comfortable and the room had chairs and tables (that was a plus) so many give you one chair and it had 2 night stands also appreciated. The breakfast could have been better, but all and all we were very pleased.

We had a great over night stay while driving to the Outer banks for vacation. The room was very clean and had plenty of towels. Our daughter and son-in-law had their puppy along with them and it was a great stay for them too, with very clean accommodations and the staff was very friendly. Our room was near the pool area and I appreciated the fact that the pool closed at 9:00 pm. It was a nice pool, looked well maintained and clean. It sounded like the kids were having a ball playing in it through the evening. Also a great value on nightly rate. I will be booking a Best Western for our next hotel needs. Thanks very much!

Very old; looks like a haven for prostitutes. Falsely advertised. Room barely acceptable. Bed very uncomfortable and hard. I did not feel safe here and of course would NEVER stay here again. Lousy breakfast - even the coffee was bad.

This is my hotel of choice when staying in this area. The front desk staff always greets you with a hello and willing to work with you to get you the room of choice. The rooms are always clean and smell fresh.

After a long, long time on route 95 from FL arriving at the BW in Fredericksburg VA is almost like getting home, relaxing, clean and safe. The surrounding area has all you need and the staff is wonderful!

We stayed and the Best Western in Fredericksburg for to nights. The room was clean and well supplied with towels and toiletries. Only problem was that the TV in our room did not work. I reported it to the front desk the morning we checked out. Wi-fi was adequate. Staff was friendly and helpful.

We chose this location based on ratings and our need for a 1 night stay near Thornburg, VA (as the hotels near the racetrack were sold out.) The check in was smooth and easy, friendly front desk staff. The property is clean and with first come, first serve parking. We were happy to see they offered hot items on their breakfast. they informed us of 10 people max in the dining area due to COVID restrictions. the lady serving and preparing the hot items was friendly and courteous. the room was clean and the bed comfortable. We appreciated the internet access. It appears to be an older property but well maintained. it's conveniently located near I95. Be reminded it is a Best Western and not a Hilton, meaning nothing fancy but served our purpose for a one night stay in the area.

Room was very clean but tired looking. The bathroom door was coming off the hinges and didn't close properly (reported at check out). Stale smoke or pet odor was present. Hot breakfast was excellent given COVID problems.

We stayed at the Best Western in Fredericksburg, VA this week for one night. Exterior of hotel (actually a motel) resembled a cheap, by-the-hour, motel. Room smelled and upon waking noticed bugs in our beds (I believe they were silverfish). When I reported this to the desk clerk upon checkout he said there was nothing he could do because we used a third-party app (Booking.com). Manager was supposed to contact us which she never did. Be aware and stay away.

My wife and I do not bother anyone. Our fur baby ❤️ doesn't bother anyone. Deborah an employee at this hotel was abusive to our fur baby. Take some advice Deborah, just because a family doesn't want to use a credit card and doesn't dress in lace and pearls doesn't take away from the respect they should receive an the worth of their money. Or maybe it was the the gay thing. In any case our poor fur baby suffered for it. An animal cam doesn't lie

I was booked here at the Best Western from the WoodSprings Suites ,where the staff was very friendly and helpful but their pet policy didn't take my rescue cat ( my baby)at the WoodSprings Suites so that place booked my stay here as a courtesy to me. I stayed for 2 nights with my wife and my cat. The check out was today and my elderly rescue cat was scared because the front desk clerk,Deborah came into the room as I was leaving and she took a towel cornered my Sweet Pea shoved the table into her side as she was crying and so was I. I was begging for her to please stop and explaining that she's a rescue and that this woman employee is tormenting her but yelling at her and chasing her around the room. What kind of PET FRIENDLY people does this establishment hire because this woman belongs in jail.

Clean and attractive place, friendly and helpful staff in every role. We have stayed here many times in the past and have always had a good experience. Felt very confident about staying there during the time of Covid. Its a GREAT place to stay!

It's difficult to say anything positive about this hotel because of the way they handled the problem. We woke up in the morning to ants all over the dresser and desk area. We were traveling home from Florida and had a tote bag of food items that we had to throw out. When we checked out, I reported the problem and the front desk clerk told me that ants had been an issue and the room(s) had been exterminated. She gave us a $20 credit on our bill. In an effort to get on the road and not hold up the others in line, I chose to call the hotel manager when I got home. I was never able to speak to the manager, only the assistant manager. Initially, she was helpful and said she would talk to her manager about giving us a refund that I requested. She never got back to me and when I finally reached her, she was rude and claimed that the desk clerk never told us they had previous problems with ants. She also said I should have reported the problem right away and they could have changed our room! I'm not sure how that was possible since we didn't discover the ants until the morning, when we were getting ready to leave. They refused to give us any further refund. I guess $20 is the standard discount if you don't mind the ants! Too bad because it was a convenient location on our drive from Florida. The worst part was their customer “dis-service”

My husband and I stayed one night and were very pleased with the hotel. Breakfast service was definitely geared to preventing the spread of COVID, a bit too much for our liking but if you are one of the super cautious, you will be comfortable here. We did get freshly cooked scrambled eggs and sausage but the setting made us uncomfortable. Hopefully in a few months they will be able to ease up on the restrictions.

I have stayed at this hotel several times and have never been disappointed with my decision. The staff is always friendly and eager to held. The room has always been clean. The hot breakfast in the morning has always been exceptional. I give this hotel 5 stars and highly recommend....

Traveled with my Dachshund and Husband. Very nice location and easy access to the room. Just park and unload car 12 feet away. Easy to walk the dog. SUPER SMART TO HAVE HARDWOOD FLOORS AND NO CARPET WITH DOG ROOMS! Less germs and no odors. Very clean and nice sheets.

Very nice room. Scrambled eggs at breakfast were delicious. Clean and comfortable stay. TV remote was missing, but the staff brought over one. Remote wouldn't shut the TV, but I just kept it on all night. Hopefully they will fix that.

The overall stay was not bad. The room was clean. There is no service but you still pay full price for a room. You bus your own trash, get used towels outside your door so fresh ones can be left in a bag hanging on your door and don't even think about clean sheets even if you stay for a week. The COVID craziness extends to the breakfast where the area where eggs are made has a table barrier and chairs across the end to make very sure no one goes behind even tho it was always staffed. If you didn't get the hint, every chair had a sign on it warning you not to cross the barrier. I get the whole COVID thing but I think people and businesses have gone insane. Common sense needs to prevail.

We needed a place to stop on our drive home from FL. We were traveling with our small dog and needed a pet friendly property. We haven't stayed at a Best Western recently and were quite pleased. The room was very clean and had a microwave and small fridge. The beds were comfortable. Appreciated the non carpet flooring which is cleaner than the carpets we had been encountering on this trip. There were pet areas set aside for the dogs at the property which was much appreciated as well. An excellent stop for us.

I never had any issues with my stay here at the Best Western in Fredericksburg. I haven't traveled here in three (3) years, but when I do, I make it my business to stay here.. The staff is consistent with their service and hospitality and the rooms are always clean and comfy.

The room was showing some age as the chair was getting a bit threadbare, but the breakfast was the highlight with eggs scrambled fresh by a very nice women. We travel with our dog and the hotel provides a dog walk area with clean up bags and a trash can for convenience. The pet fee of $20 was reasonable.

Was able to use points for 2 nights when didn't have cash. Life saver... I just wish u could use contract rates for points sense I travel. Its much more expensive of course without. So tryna determine the balance, other than that i like the franchise. This is their best hotel yet I've stayed in

Needed a place to sleep that is pet friendly. I don't care about amenities, I care about a clean room. I wasn't sure about this place but what a happy surprise! Cleanest hotel room ever. No carpet only laminate flooring and my socks were still bright white after walking on floors. Small issue, no handrail by toilet for handicap room. Room decor is up to date. Definitely would stay here again & highly recommend. For sure a good nights sleep.

There are many good things about this hotel. PROs- Pet friendly rooms available that are not carpeted, area to walk your dog with clean up bags provided, clean room, easy on off of 95, free internet, free breakfast with decent coffee. Cons- Pet rooms went up from $10 to $30 since our last stay a year ago, several rooms are in an area where you can't park near your room, appears not to read or try to accommodate special requests, small bathroom area, room pictures show table for 2 in room but that wasn't the case and many time choose to eat in our room when traveling with pets. I would recommend this hotel for being pet friendly and clean as long as you don't mind hiking to your room and if traveling with a pet paying the $30 fee. Other hotels do offer pets stay free although I prefer outdoor corridors like this BW so I'm willing to pay $30 for that feature.

We thought this was super convenient to everything we would need, Food, pharmacy, place to walk pets. Room was a good value and there was a nice pool but weather wasn't warm enough to take advantage of that.

Stopped here after driving about 12 hours from Florida - place was very clean, king bed was terrific. Our Labrador retriever was with us and very welcome there. Very friendly check in. They offer a hot breakfast in lobby and coffee in room.

This place is very clean most comfortable beds nice rooms!! it's going to be our new stop when traveling dogs allowed $15 charge, friendly staff, they make you a hot breakfast. The price is good, nice area close to old town fredericksburg which is very nice, restaurants and shops

I was driving an elderly ladies life's possessions and cat to Mass from Georgia. I had stopped to stay at a Hampton Inn but was nervous because even though the state had a mask mandate, lots of people in the lobby had no masks at all. I called what I thought was Best Western. I even asked the young lady if she was actually at the hotel. She couldnt give us directions to get there. When I arrived at the hotel I found out why. I believe I had been fooled by hotels.com. Anyways, Preston saved the night. He told me that, that happens to guests all the time. He was very understanding. He was kind, courteous, professional and personable. He saw that we were exhausted. I had my 84 year old mom that has Alzheimer's. It was cold and snowing. He actually helped me carry the cat and it's giant crate out of the car. Asked if we needed anything. Suggested delivery for dinner. He went above and beyond anyone ever has at any hotel we've ever stayed at. He was so wonderful, we decided to stay here again on our way back just because of him. We were disappointed he wasnt at the front desk this time and are hoping someone will show this to him so he can see just how much we appreciated him. BTW the breakfast lady said that all the guests love Preston. I can see why!

This property served it's purpose in every aspect. One of the best renovations of an existing property I have come across. Although in the style of the 1970 Holiday Inn with external entryways for each room encompassing an outdoor pool, it was adequate and priced accordingly. Being "Pet Friendly" added to the convenience.

Being a RN and of a certain age I was very wary of traveling during this pandemic. I planned it very well. This Best Western takes it very seriously. Check in and out prompt and almost contactless. All CDC recommendations met. The room which was old style in that you entered from the parking lot was immaculate. A sticker on the door noted it was sanitized. (I also went over high touch areas with clorox wipes as well) The bed was very comfortable. Bathroom exceptionally clean and all worked. Safely, no rugs on the floor except for a low pile runner beside the bed. My senior dog was very comfortable. I felt safe walking him around the property and dog area. (waste station stocked) They limited the dining area to just 10 people and also offered a take and go breakfast. The staff from the person taking my reservation over the phone to the person checking me in quickly and efficiently were amazing. The location was great. Tons of restaurants to order from. Basilico New York deli offers curbside and delivery (though their delivery person left at 4pm so order early) It was a short drive to their Cowan bvd address to get my order delivered to my car (he wore a mask as I did) The city looks very interesting and I will be back to explore it when times are safer. My only gripe was that when I went to the next door Dunkin Donut for coffee. I encountered two women in front of me unmasked. I asked them "where their masks were?" and they ignored me and stood back to wait for their order. I was upset that they were served without a mask and I did call their manager to report it only to be told that they couldn't deny service as it was illegal because the person may have a medical reason why they couldn't wear a mask" I found that to be suspect and very dangerous. Ironically there was a sign that said. DD spreads joy ( I thought more likely allows the spreads covid) Be safe out there!

My family and I stayed one night in a 2 queen bed room. Upon arriving, I was greeted and helped by Preston and they were wonderful to work with! They were so nice and I appreciated how nice they were. We were placed in the front side on the bottom floor and were able to park right next to the room. It was very convenient and close to the Front Dest lobby if we needed anything. The room was the cleanest of any hotel I've ever stayed at. The beds were comfy. The room looked modern and updated. The only reason, and I mean the only reason, this hotel didn't get 5 stars was...the noise. Unfortunately it was nothing they can personally can do to correct this, but people were on the road in front of the hotel on motorcycles and rode by as fast as they possibly could at all hours of the night. Then someone at 2:30am clicked their lock button and the horn went off, twice. Other than than that, everything was great. If I'm ever in the area again, I'd stay here, but maybe on the back side on the second floor.

While the building is old style lower and upper level rooms, appearance is well kept. Bathroom is rather small. Mattress was firm and linens smelled fresh. Nothing fancy here, basic motel room. For the price of $76 inclusive, felt a true value.

Room was clean and our cat was relaxed for the first time during our trip. The rate was exceptional. Wish I could have gotten the breakfast again. Had it the first time we stayed and it was very very good!

Clean, friendly, nice breakfast n dining. Pool was closed which was disappointing. It was the beginning of October and down south it's still warm enough to swim. We r from the north so we were looking forward to the outdoor pool. If u have to close it than u should have an indoor pool. Also you should have a hot tub. Customers like a pool n hot tub

Traveling with a pet, the rooms was clean, smelled good, good decor. The breakfast precautions due to COVID were excellent, and made me feel comfortable enough to have breakfast. I trusted their room cleaning precautions. I have stayed here before COVID, and was very pleased also.

This is our second time staying at this motel. The man working at the font desk, Preston, was very nice and welcoming. Check in was fast and from the time we arrived, we felt that the motel was taking all precautions to keep us safe. A hot breakfast was served the next morning consisting of eggs, sausage, toast, bagels, muffins,juice, coffee, etc. It was served by a hostess and we had the option of eating it there or getting it in a to go box and taking it back to our room. We were expecting a grab and go box so a hot breakfast was a nice surprice. The room was nicely decorated and comfortable.

We've stayed at this hotel many times in the past 8 years. Always clean and comfortable, well supplied with linens and pillows. Good breakfast. Staff is very friendly. Dunkin Donuts and multiple restaurants nearby.

Just stayed one night and wanted something local and close to downtown Fredericksburg historic area. This Best Western was one of the better outdoor motels and very affordable. The hotel guests were considerate and kids seem to have a great time in the pool. Hotel staff was very courteous and they served a hot breakfast in the morning which was a cut above some of the nicer hotels which only offered grab and go during Covid.

Had and 16 day stay waiting for the completion of my home. Enjoyed the time in the area. Hotel is located to all the amenities of Fredericksburg. Interstate 95 is just up the road. I traveled with a pet and took her to the many parks in the area. Back to hotel - great hot breakfast served to your request. Enjoyed the omelet, waffles and sausage. Many restaurants nearby.

Checked in May 2020 & reservation had marks for social distancing. Wonderful room on the ground floor that was very clean and roomy and easy access to take out dog out for a walk. Recommendation for dinner ended up with us ordering a delicious pizza. Location excellent! We took long walks in the nearby neighborhood that was not only quiet but really pretty. Hot breakfast provided that was served & they made sure no more than 10 guests at a time. Very safe and comfortable environment.

The two reps that I met checking in and out were the best that I ever encountered at a hotel and I have been in too many over the years. Sherry and Preston we're definitely the two best reps ever encountered!

We had booked best western Virginia instead of Fredericksburg! Frank was absolutely amazing he was kind thoughtful and helpful. We will never forget him and thank him for looking after us. I've stayed here annually for close to 10 years on my road trip south for vacation and have always been very satisfied. In fact, it had been the best Best Western I'd stayed at. This year I stayed twice, heading south and again heading north back home. My room charge had always been consistently around the same rate, but this year I was charged $50 more on my trip north, only a week after the night I stayed headed south. The reason I was given was that "rates vary daily". Fair enough, but after years of being charged a consistent rate, I find that explanation suspect. Addtionally, despite their claim to be "100% smoke free", the first room we were given on the trip north couldn't even be entered for the nauseatingly pungent odor of cigarettes. You couldn't even get within 5 feet of the door without smelling it. They gave us a new room but seemed somewhat irritated by the request. Also, the dog area by the pool was littered with feces. None of these things are the fault of the hotel staff and we were, as always, very comfortable. I do hope that this was simply a "bad day" as we all have from time to time as I have previously always been very happy here.

So glad we chose this hotel to stay overnight after staying there a few years ago. We checked in on a Sunday and the parking lot was half empty. Our room was clean, the beds comfortable and the breakfast buffet was outstanding. Actually the best we've had on our trip to and from Florida. Their breakfast area had quite a lot of tables and was kept clean continually by the woman who replaced the food quickly and constantly wiped down handles and all equipment. They had scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, waffle iron and toasters. Fresh cut-up fruits and yogurts. All in all, it was a excellent choice and certainly will go back again.

Easy check-in, nice room and a 4-hour window for the breakfast buffet... which also included the makings for a breakfast burrito. No trucks or buses permitted, likely because the overhang to the front desk is too low to accommodate.

This hotel was very clean, modern and great staff! They offer a wonderful breakfast. The location is great with many amenities right in the surrounding shopping centers. I will stay here again whenever I have to take trips down I95.

I really don't understand all the high reviews for this place. On entering our room we found a large pubic hair on the toilet seat. Additionally there was a red stain on the shower curtain. Whist I cannot 100% say for certain that this was blood, it certainly looked like blood. We could hear everything that was going on in the room next door through the connecting door. Could make out their conversations word for word, their TV and a dog yapping loudly all night long. Coffee in the lobby was good.

This is an older property with outside door on rooms. No elevator; very small rooms, but everything worked and it was clean. Small bathroom with sink outside. Staff outstanding; very efficient check in and out; free breakfast well attended with fluffy scrambled eggs and bacon. No bananas

We stayed one night and were satisfied with the room and breakfast service was with a good selection with some hot choices. Best western brand ix very reliable amd we look forward to visiting back here again

My friends and my husband and myself left for east coast vacation December 26. And on the way down to Florida and across the state of Florida when given the chance we choose Best Westerns over any other hotel. Fredericksburg was the last and as usual great.

We stayed one night on our way to GA. Layout of the hotel is very convenient since bottom floor rooms parking is available right in front of the room entrance. Rooms are comfortable, clean and spacious. Breakfast assortments are outstanding loved the options of fresh vegetables. Friendly and professional staff. Would definitely recommend.

Staff was very friendly and even offered our dog a treat. The property is far enough from the highway so that you do not hear traffic. Plenty of room to park a truck and trailer. The room was one of the cleanest rooms we have stayed in during our travels. Plenty of parking, well lit and really good food places with in walking distance. The walls were a bit thin but no different than other hotels. I saved this hotel for our future travels and will definitely stay here again. Thank you best western, we stayed a few extra hours the next day because you made us feel right at home.

This is the fourth time we stayed at this particular best Western in Fredericksburg. The service was excellent, the breakfast was superb, the room was very very clean no complaints. I would recommend this for anybody. Five stars for sure. Will go back.

This hotel while unpretentious was very clean and the staff was excellent! The breakfast was great and I loved being able to drive right up to the door! Most comfortable mattress I have slept on in a long time. Pets are welcome for an additional fee.

We were driving to Florida and need it to stop. We found this hotel and it was very easy to access off of I-95. We arrived after midnight and the hotel is very accommodating with getting us checked in quickly and explaining the reward system. I already had a card but hadn't used it in a while. The room was very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was perfect for in the morning before we left. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

One of the prettiest, most well kept motel style hotels I have ever stayed in. The property was well maintained, rooms were very clean and beds were comfortable. Breakfast was surprisingly good with options for creating your own healthy meal.

We have been staying at this hotel for several years. The hotel is off I-95 and has many restaurants close by. Our room was very clean with a comfortable bed. The breakfast had many choices such as tortillas, salsa, fresh avocados and such. We will be staying there again. Highly recommend!

I had booked and checked into 2 adjoining rooms only to find out that I really only needed one. went back to the front desk and they were very gracious and cancelled the charge for the second room. room was very clean and well appointed. breakfast was very nice, varied with both hot and cold selections. very convenient access to both #95 and #1 as well as the town itself.

Very impressed with service and comfortable room. Good value and excellent service. The breakfast was more than I expected with gluten-free options, fresh fruit, yogurt and good choice of beverages. Very good.

This is the 2nd time we stayed here this year, 2019, due to a family member admitted to Mary Washington Hospital. staff has been friendly, helpful. Rooms were spotless and quiet. The breakfast was just what we needed each morning. Highly recommend this Hotel. It is also close to all travel routes and amenities.

This hotel is very clean. No scented products used to cover-up. The folks are just wonderful and could not be anymore accommodating. The breakfast is excellent. The food is fresh and the dining area is kept clean and neat.

I have stayed at this hotel 4 times now and have had a great experience every time. I would highly recommend it. Since my daughter is a student at UMW , this will be my go to hotel after trying some others in the area- This one rose above the others in term of friendliness and service.

A true 10 Star rating. This was our first stay at a BW it was Stella one. The staff,room,bkfast and fully holiday decorations made us feel like home. We will now stay at this BW when we travel which is often and our first choice when we can.

First time at this hotel, everything clean. Bed was very comfortable. Enjoyed our breakfast. Sorry We did not arrive earlier in day plenty of shopping in the area. Not far off I-95 Next morning noticed them cleaning out side.

Very comfortable beds and quiet for an outside entrance. Free full breakfast. There are restaurants and shopping nearby. Friendly nighstaff person, I think her name was Sheerice. The building needs updating but for the nightly rate a good night stay.

The property and room were very well maintained. Free breakfast in the morning was very good. Gluten free options were available. I was able to use their conference room to print up a pass for a college visit at no cost and no hassle. This is a very clean, friendly and convenient hotel.

Clean rooms, breakfast was included and very good. They kept it well stocked. The rooms were nicely decorated, vending machines are available as well as washer and dryer. Rooms open to parking lot and there is sufficient parking.

First stop on our way to our winter home in Florida, this place is a great place to stop and is pet friendly. The room was decorated nicely and very clean. Excellent free breakfast in the very pleasant dining room next to the elaborately, yet tastefully decorated lobby. The staff is friendly and helpful. We stay here whenever we can going back and forth on 95 corridor. Highly recommend!

This was a very nice hotel! Perfect for a quality night sleep. Rooms were quiet, clean, comfortable. Location very easy to find. Breakfast was also very nice. Many different items to choose from. We would definitely stay here again.

I find this hotel is a good one to stay at on our trip along the 95 back up north. It is always quiet and the a/c and plumbing and beds are in perfect order. Never a problem. Beautiful Autumn Decorated Fall tree and mums fill the Lobby which is next to the breakfast cafe. The assortment of food is better than other hotels I found so I was pretty pleased. My little pet got a cute doggy treat bag too!

This motel is conveniently located near the interstate and a short drive from area attractions. Plenty of food options in the immediate area. We stayed on the 'garden side' which provided up with a nice landscape and benches to enjoy sitting outdoors. Overall it was a very nice and clean facility. The breakfast was good, the pool was open and clean and the internet performed well. It can be a little tricky to locate as it is set back off a very busy highway and the driveway entrance is not clearly marked.

Room was way cheaper than some others. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean along with the rest of the hotel. We would definitely stay here again if and when we're back in the area.

My room was updated with laminate flooring (vs carpet) which seemed a little cold at first, but it was cleaner than a carpeted floor. Beds were nice, sink is outside the bath/toilet so multiple persons can get ready for the day without being on top of each other. Property is nicely kept, housekeeping staff and front desk were all very pleasant. I've stayed here several times over the years as I travel for business. Always satisfied.

Nice and attentive staff all the way around. The rooms are not to small and having two beds in the room was great. Smaller hotel but kept clean inside the rooms and outside. Parking was free and plenty of spaces.

All of the employees we came in contact with where pleasant and helpful. Like I said even in the breakfast room she was really helpful going out of her way to help my husband. Also when we went to urgent care we had to leave and it was exactly where the women at the front desk told us where it washer directions were perfect. It was so nice to have someone recommend a place and give you directions. All of the people we encountered during our stay couldn't do enough for us.

Hotel had updated rooms that were clean. Many choices for breakfast, even a breakfast burrito bar that was wonderful and fresh. Nice location to visit Fredericksburg, Spotsylvania, Chancellorsville and Wilderness Civil War battlefields.

Hotel was very, clean. Good breakfast. Coffee shop near by. Fast food near by. We had our little dog with us. There was a nice area to take my little fellow for a walk. Also there were doggie bags to clean up their business and also to dispose the bags. The breakfast was wonderful. I would definitely stay here again. The outside of the hotel was clean and maintained.

This Best Western is a gem! Clean & comfortable. The staff is great! Just a great place to stay. Conveniently located with lots of stores & restaurants in the area also.The landscaping and gardening are an added bonus.

A well kept older property in a convenient location. I have stayed here several times. The room was clean and freshly painted. It had all the usual amenities, flat screen tv with good channel selections. Bathroom was clean and not too small. All the linens were fresh and the bed comfortable. The breakfast was above average, nice selection of hot and cold items. There's a Subway almost next door and a pretty good diner across the road. Word of caution, it is a very busy road.

We stayed overnight on our way home from North Carolina. The room was very nice. A little small for four people but it was recently renovated and the beds were very comfortable. The outdoor pool was also very nice after a long day in the car. The hotel also offers one of the best continental breakfasts I have ever seen.

This Best Western Hotel was clean, good value and had the best breakfast of any hotel I have ever been to! The swimming pool was great and centrally located. The staff was friendly and helpful with any questions. Check in/check out was easy and quick.

We even had the entertainment of a "black snake" slithering around the ice machine! But seriously for the $$, this is a great place to stay enroute to other destinations. The buffet breakfast included in the morning is quite good.

This hotel is simple and unassuming but it felt like a little oasis for the night. We stayed in a pet-friendly room with our dog and it was notably clean with ceramic tile floors. There was no funky odor that is often apparent in dog-friendly rooms. The beds was very comfortable and the room was big enough that my family wasn't constantly in each other's way. There is a yard conveniently located next to the parking lot for dogs to do their business. The vending machines take debit cards and breakfast buffet had tortillas to make breakfast tacos! What else needs to be said!? Would totally stay here again.

Awesome hotel, had a mid stop on my way to SC and this hotel was around my halfway point. Checked in late at night, staff was super friendly, extremely helpful and made my trip that much better. Would stay in this hotel again, 5 stars to the staff and affordable rooms, great breakfast

No it's not new and fancy. But it is clean, has comfortable beds, plenty of hot water, towels, better than average breakfast and very attentive housekeeping staff. It is a little difficult getting in and out of because it is tucked a little ways back from a very busy street. All in all, I appreciated my very pleasant stay.

This hotel was an old style motel that has been fixed up quite a bit. However there was mold on the ceiling in our bathroom ,and a dirt spot was on the floor,there was also mold in the shower. They are pet friendly. The room next-door had to watch dogs that bark up until about 11:30 PM. The breakfast was extremely good And offered a lot of choices.

I am a very fair person sommy review will follow suite. This Best Western is in an excellent location convenient to shopping and food locations, yet still very peacefully set off of the road. The rooms are nice, well stocked and felt homey. They offer a USB for chargers which is perfect as I forgot my cube for my iPhone. The pool was clean, PH levels were perfect and the water was actually warm. The towels had been mostly used by guests but that's understandable. It was nice to be offered additional towels. The breakfast options are incredible. They think of every need. As a cancer survivor and Lupus patient, I normally can't enjoy the free breakfast at most locations. However, they had so many options including Silk Milk! I was very impressed. The buffet included making your own waffle, eggs that you could add many toppings to (eggs were scrambled and moist, not dry), bacon, sausage and gravy, toast and other pastries, cereal, grits, oatmeal and yogurt. Coffee and orangejuice were available and many different flavors for the coffee. They constantly refilled the breakfast and made sure everyone had what they needed. They offer microwaves and a toaster as well. I definitely have to say this was a huge bonus. They also offer onsite laundry that is always open. The washer is $2 to user and the dryer is $1. Though you can't pick the the time for the dryer, it lasted an hour and at least 15 minutes. It was more than enough time for a blanket as well as clothing, even on minimal heat. They were very clean and the laundry smelled wonderful. Overall house keeping does an excellent job. When we arrived even, we were trying to figure out the numbers and a gentlemen welcome us and told us our room was on the backside. I believe he was with house keeping and very upbeat and welcoming. They also offer vending machines and ice on both floors. Everything is really easy accessible from any room. The issue I had arose with service. We are traveling nurses. I have two ADA dogs for seizures and one that is a rescue. This hotel seemed perfect for pets. Many others had dogs and there were clean up stations along the way. The landscaping by the way is just beautiful and perfect for peace. This is what made me pick this hotel most of all. There are benches, shade for the animals and the flowers and landscaping are just relaxing. We saw hummingbirds, butterflies and a couple honey bees. A black snake too but hey, it's nature. The issue arose with Echo the one dog that isn't a service dog. We had gone to the pool and Echo was fine. The other two dogs were in the running car parked right beside the pool where they could see me because of the seizure factor. They do best when they can see me if I'm gone for a long period of time. Echo did just fine the entire time we were at the pool which closed at 10pm but everyone was out around 11pm. We checked our room and changed, then headed to Walmart, a mile away. We left Echo, never ever having an issue before. Since 2007, I've only used Best Western. Normally we are booked under the business or under the nursing supervisors name. This time they had chosen to go with another hotel in the area for the company that was much cheaper. So I paid out of pocket as I wanted to stay with a hotel chain I knew. They offer rewards now too for stays which is awesome. Anyways, a dog stood near the room while it's owners were in conversation. Echo did bark at the dog since it was right in front of the door. The gentleman next to us had been sitting in his truck for hours. Echo barking apparently annoyed him and caused him to bang on the door cursing at Echo which lead to Echo barking and he tore the white shear when the man looked into the room to verify none of us were there. The man then went back and sat in his truck dead staring at Echo who continued to bark at him. I received a call at 1158pm and immediately left Walmart and arrived in 10 minutes. The gentleman cursed us because of Echo when we arrived. 5 minutes later the receptionist arrived asking him if he wanted to move rooms. He said no, now that we were there with the dog, the dog would be fine. Curious how he really knew this factor unless he had been watching us. It was our second night there. They tried to say they couldn't accommodate the dogs and we needed to leave. I asked to speak to the manager and the receptionist was very rude about allowing me to speak with her on the phone. They said they had six complaints one from a different side of the building. The gentleman next to us said he had been complaining since we were at the pool about Echo barking. None of this was relayed to us. We received a call and arrived in 10 minutes of that phone call to handle the situation. Immediately handled it and tried to apologize to the guy next door. They ended up agreeing we could stay. I stayed up all night washing clothes for work. I'm normally a 3rd shifter anyhow. During this, our neighbor sat in his truck the entire night until 430am with lights pointed into our room with another gentleman who had arrived. The washer cycle ends at 34 minutes and I had all three of our clothes to wash so from 1245 until 430am I was quietly exiting every 40 minutes or so to do laundry and watched this. A couple to the left of us with a white dog came out to walk the dog and told us what had transpired with Echo barking. I apologized and the wife told us not worry that it wasn't long and didn't bother them. The next morning instead of calling the room, at 10am the manager arrived knocking on the door. She said she didn't think we could stay another night and there was damage to the room. I told her that I didn't think that was fair after all we encountered and I would put up the dogs so she could take a look at the room. We loaded the dogs in the car and they came to look at the room after calling the owner who said we couldn't stay anymore. The white shear was the only thing found other than a picture on the wall with a corner coming apart from the nail. Housekeeping asked us what happens and we explained it was already like that and it was. I had already offered to pay for the curtain and fix and issue Echo did cause by the way. It was clear there were no marks on the wall or photo that would show, (from the floor) a 20 inch dog knocked it off from 3 feet up the wall and caused just the corner to come apart from the nail that held the two wood pieces together. I was very upset about being treated as criminals when we fixed the issue immediately, were cussed out by the gentlemen and still had to endure his lights in our room then banging on the wall at 430am when he finally went into his room. I truly enjoyed the hotel had planned to extend the stay for at least 3 weeks while we worked in the area. We found another close by and haven't had a single problem thankfully. I am still disappointed and probably won't use Best Western again if this is a representation of how they handle situations that arise. I understand our dog caused an inconvenience and while embarrassed it was never on purpose and immediately corrected. We said we would not leave him alone again. We didn't the day before, took him on the route for work with us. We only had left him and taken the other two simply because we were a mile away at Walmart and never dreamed (especially in all our hotel stays over the last 4 years) that this would transpire. Again my review is based on Customer Service issues alone. The facility and amenities were great but if this is a representation of Best Western, our team of nurses will pass for the future, thanks.

Spent one night passing through on my way back to Florida. You park in front of your room and entrance is on the outside. Did not feel safe. Did not sleep well because of not feeling secure on the property. Older property, 60's. Clean enough sndbok breakfast. Staff nice, but not my preference.

We broke up our travel and stayed at Best Western Fredericksburg on our way to OBX. We arrived around 11:30 pm and our check in was quick and we were asleep by midnight. The room was clean and had everything we needed plus more. Breakfast was fantastic. We ate a good meal and were on our way. The staff was fantastic and so helpful. I love southern charm.

We were here for nephew's high school graduation. We had an all around great experience. The room was clean and the staff was wonderful. They were also very respectful. Breakfast started at 6 am and it was hot and delicious.

loved this place. stayed a couple of nights had a room by the pool which was sparkling clean as was the entire area. lovely place. very clean rooms and quiet. the variety for breakfast was the best everything was fresh and very tastey. staff all very friendly and professional loved the gentleman that worked the pool and also in other areas he was friendly and greeted me each morning and when i left to continue my trip he thanked me for staying with them wished me safe travels and hope i return that is what makes this place a stand alone great stop

The night manager on our second night was completely rude, and wouldn't assist with a problem that came about with another guest and their car. Will NOT be staying here again. Customer service was awful!

We had to quickly get a place to stay last minute in Fredericksburg so my husband found this on Booking.com. This place claims to be a hotel on websites that i searched and there were NO photos on the Booking.com site that showed it to be a motel. There were plenty of photos of the interior of rooms, the lobby, etc, so it looked like it was a hotel and we believed it was a hotel. Also the prices are the same as the Holiday Inn Express and other hotels in the area. But when we pulled up late at night and checked in, that is when we realized it was a motel and it was already too late at night to switch.We would not have booked here if we had known it was a motel. Then the motel told Booking.com that we checked out late...they claimed we checked out at 11:08 a.m. the next morning when in reality we checked out around 8:10 a.m. because we had an event at Glasgow Farm to get to that morn at 8:30. Besides, check out is listed on Booking.com for noon anyway!

This hotel has the most wonderful breakfast in town! They had a wide variety of foods that were freshly made and the make you own Belgian waffles were awesome! I also had a special request of needing to be on the first floor due to my bad knees and they not only put our room on the first floor they put us right in front of the hotel pool, which we used every day!

This property is located close to interstate 95, and secondary roads convenient to historic sites. It's an older two story with exterior doors. I prefer these for ease of unloading and keeping an eye on my motorcycle. Staff was professional, check in fast and easy. My room was clean, everything worked as it should. Flat screen tv with a decent selection of channels. Standard breakfast, hot and cold items, it was kept clean and well stocked by attentive staff. There were other options for food within walking distance. The road out front is busy, but I did not notice any noise in my room. I would stay here again.

Arrived 1am after driving from FL and had to wait for Sherry to assign a room, tells me to go walk thru small path thru bushes to get to room, I told hr could I please get another room, we have no more she tells me. After almost falling trying to get to room I ask again for another room, and at that point she had one. Took an hour to check in!!!!

I ended up here instead of a more expensive place because I was too tired to find the motel I thought I wanted. And what a sweet accident! The motel is simple, but clean, with a nice pool and some landscaping, a few streets where I could walk my dog, very friendly staff, and probably the best breakfast bar I've had at any motel - even chopped avocado with all the other breakfast items! And very inexpensive. I'll definitely go again when I'm passing through the area. (PS - check out the Metro Diner just across the road!).

Stay was ok, but was told the room we had was the only one that was not pet permitted. It is in a terrible location on the first floor. Reservations was not very welcoming at all. She seemed annoyed she had to take care of us. Did not ask if I was a rewards member, so I'm sure I didn't receive any points. Doubt I will stay here again.

Stayed over night at Best Western Fredericksburg VA. Very nice room and the people were very nice. Definitely would loved to come back. Hotel is near a Dunkin Doughnuts/Baskin Robbins which was nice. The hotel serves a breakfast in the morning that was delicious. The lady at the front desk sorry I forgot her name, was super nice and she gave us a map for places to check out. Very friendly atmosphere.

The hotel is set back from the road and from the outside looks a bit dated. However, that couldn't be further from the truth once you enter the lobby and rooms. The place was completely remodeled and extremely clean. They even have the remote is a stay fresh package. Completely satisfied with the experience will definitely stay there again.

This hotel was easy to find, close to everything, but very quiet. The staff was pleasant and accommodating, the bathroom vanity was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The hotel was clean and the shower was great. There were guest laundry facilities which were also clean and in good working order.

Stayed here last week both going down and coming home from South Carolina. The management was friendly, the room was clean, the price was right, and best of all, welcomed our dogs for only $11 each. The Best Western Fredericksburg was in the perfect location for our road trip. The hotel is easy to find and the rooms are comfortable. There are some neighborhoods behind the property and plenty of local restaurants and stores nearby. We stayed just one night, and the hotel definitely met our expectations.

Rented 2 rooms Both were clean. Beds comfortable. Water hot and good pressure. Plenty of room for the baby's pack n play. Lots of delicious choices for breakfast. Something for everyone. Front desk staff friendly and helpful. Would stay here again

The Fredericksburg Best Western is ideally suited off I95, surrounded by small shopping centers and many restaurant options. The motel itself is well maintained and the staff is very friendly. They offer free breakfast. Most importantly for us they take pets (ours is a large dog). There are designated pet rooms and a grassy pet area. We return 2-3 times a year as we travel.

Clean and comfortable rooms. Very friendly staff. Our room was a lovely location facing the pool. I appreciate that they allow pets. We are dogless now but it was always a challenge to find a hotel that would allow our bulldog. Breakfast is always plentiful at Best Western - though I wish they'd offer sausages :-) Price was a little on the higher side, something under $100 is more affordable for us when we travel.

I was very pleased with the hotel stopped on my way to New York.Is the area lots of restaurants had a few hours before dinner so I went to the Fredericksburg Civil War battlefield just five minutes away and very interesting well worth it . Room clean bed comfortable and the breakfast next day was amazing Cheerios, yogurts, sausage mushroom eggs and it was absolutely spotless as were the bathroom.

One night stopover on way home from Florida. Pet friendly, clean and nice rooms. Close to highway but in a very busy area, lots of traffic. It was a quiet nice hotel with a great full breakfast available at 6am so we could get an early start.

Overall, this hotel was decent for the price paid. The bathroom grout most definitely needs to be attended to (disintegrating & moldy) and the loose hairs on the bathroom floor were yucky. Breakfast was quite good and beds were comfy. Getting to the hotel especially at rush hour is dicey- we had to go past it and turn around to make it to the entrance.( I wouldn't want to try that at night.) Decent value for a 1 night stay.

This was my families first time at a Best Western, I felt it was worth the money we spent for the night. The room was very clean, the beds were good, I like that they had 4 big pillows per bed. The breakfast was better than I expected, lots of options. I didn't hear any outside noise which was a plus.

Every year I stay at this specific best Western. Every year I am never disappointed with how clean the rooms are how courteous the staff is at the front office. And how modern the amenities are. It's conveniently located next to several shops so you're within foot distance of food. And there is ample parking.

Very nice hotel for transit. wwe have stayed at this hotel for at least 6 years. Personnel is friendly and efficient. Accommodations are good and super clean. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Rooms are comfortable. There are many “fast food” venues within walking distance but no interesting eateries in the vicinity. Would recommend for short stay.

We have been staying at this hotel on our way to Florida for several years. It is off the interstate and is close to restaurants and shopping. The reception was friendly and courteous. Our room was spacious and very clean. There was a nice variety for breakfast and plentiful. We enjoyed our short stay there and we will go back.

This motel is located within a couple of miles of many shops and restaurants such as Friday's, Applebee's, Ruby Tuesday's, Joes Crab Shack, BJs restaurant, Carrabbas, Chili's, Bonefish Grill, Panera, Red Lobster etc. Macy's, Sears, Belk, Target, Costco, BJs, Gander Mountain, Dicks etc etc are all close by. Located just a couple of miles from the cute downtown area, we enjoyed our stay!

Nice motel--very clean and well kept. We travel with our dog so a good area to walk her is important. There is a semi-fenced area here that works well and is lighted at night. The "pet" rooms have no carpeting so they are able to be really cleaned well between guests. The breakfast is very good--biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs and bacon, 4 different kinds of yogurt etc. Would recommend this motel to anyone but especially pet owners.

We love staying here. Rooms are clean, nice decor, pet friendly, most comfy beds ever, plus great Wifi. The breakfast is fabulous as we are vegetarian. The staff are friendly and helpful. We stay here every year on our way to and from Florida. We look forward to it.

I stayed at the Best Western in Frederiscksburg, VA December 26th-28th when I went to visit my daughter for a Christmas visit. The staff was nice, room was nice despite a few cliches with the shower and thermostat. Room was clean except a concerning stain on the bedspread. I was allowed to have my cats which was wonderful.

Very nice, clean hotel. The room had alot of conveniences/amenities. Was clean, modern & up to date with decor. The breakfast had alot of choices and very good. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel.

After enduring brutal traffic and thankfully the Waze app got us to the Motel. Was great for an overnight stay. Reminded me of a 70s motel where you can back up your car to your room. Worked for us. Front desk employee a bit stiff but room was clean and fine for the one night. Good hot breakfast before hitting the road.

The Best Western in Fredericksburg, VA is a great place to choose when traveling along I-95, either north or south. It is outstanding in cleanliness, comfort and quiet. The staff are extremely friendly and efficient. The check-in and out was easy. The morning breakfast was wholesome and delicious. I would stay here again whenever I am in the area, for sure.

Travelling up from Florida we always stay at Best Westerns. This is the 1st time we've stayed in Fredericksburg. It was exceptional BW. The beds and the room decor was one of the nicest we've ever stayed in. I would highly recommend it.

Our experience was nothing but excellent. Very friendly Staff, clean well maintained room, comfort of bed, excellent breakfast with many choices, convenient parking, well maintained grounds, easy access. All around great experience.

Clean, comfy accommodations. A warm breakfast with good selection of items. A good value for the cost of the room. Where we stay each time we participate in the Quilters Quest since our favorite shop (Crazy Cousin) is just down the road.

Enjoyed the stay. The pet friendly room was reasonable and the floors were not carpeted which eased the concern of an accident by a 4 month old puppy. They had a lovely fall xmas tree in the lobby. The hot breakfast had many options.

Reservation made online. Check in was flawless. Staff was professional and pleasant. Room was a king with plenty of room. Mini fridge and microwave were nice amenities. Shower had plenty of pressure and hot water. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast offered typical fare of eggs, bread items, biscuits and gravy. Checkout was flawless.

We were passing through and stayed 1 night. The room was nice with comfortable beds. Breakfast was fine and the room we stayed was in the back was quiet. It was very busy so we were lucky to get a room here, so book ahead.

This is a nice place to stay with friendly staff and remodeled rooms. The building is older but in decent shape with a new lobby area and at least some rooms if not all, unsure. redone. The outside door jam was the original and you had to almost slam our door to get it to close completely. Would stay here again as it is convenient just off I95. No fitness room seen but they did have a nice looking outdoor pool.

Always pleasant professional staff. Great location for shopping malls, downtown visits, restaurants. Staff always has good recommendations for side trips and restaurants. A problem was solved immediately by the Manager

Stayed at this hotel when visited Fredericksburg for fencing competition with my 11- and 17-year old daughters and wife. We stayed in a room with two queen-size beds and it was more than enough to accommodate all of us. The hotel was a motel-style but cozy, nice and clean. Personnel was polite and professional. We didn't get a chance to try a breakfast that was included, so I can't tell anything about that. They had a plenty of parking space.

This Best Western is a remodeled motel, where all the rooms open directly to the outside. Don't let that fool you, it's a gem. Maybe in another life time this hotel saw some stranger times. Now this place is a clean well oiled machine. A huge cleaning staff keep this place spic and span. I've stayed in hotels that cost nearly double what I paid here, and were less clean. Stay here when in Fredericksburg, you won't be disappointed.

Sometimes when a person travels and has to get a hotel room on the fly it can be quite disheartening. However, when we were able to get the room at the Best Western we were happy. The room was clean and tidy. The lobby and breakfast areas were spotless. The stay was very good and the room was quiet with no traffic noise. The hotel is older but most certainly not run down. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

Average hotel for average price. Felt a little dated...could use more detailed cleaning but overall ok. Comfortable beds, strong showers. I've stayed at nicer and worse BWH. Was ok for the stopover on our ride home from florida.

I continue to not understand why Best Westerns get a bad rap. BW properties are consistently comfortable accommodations on the road - and typically pet friendly. My husband and I were forced to evacuate with our dog in anticipation of Hurricane Florence. Rooms are clean and the staff is pleasant. Across the street from a Gold's with a day rate and close to downtown Fredericksburg. We'll return!

Unacceptable service! My family and I drove here yesterday to get to safety from the Hurricane from The Carolinas, my Husband was called here by FEMA to help and assist families hit hard by this Hurricane, i got here at 2pm yesterday, this hotels check in is at 3pm, but a little later we found out that they were moving my Husband to another location, so at about 5pm, 2 hours after check in, i came back to return the keys to a room, we never even stayed in at all cause we went out to eat and see the downtown area, and the hotel charged me for an entire night's stay. So unethical, no Integrity at all as a business. They could of rebooked it and charged someone else for that room and get paid twice for the same room, for all i know, but that's not the point at all. This is below the low point that one can go. Will be sure to report this. I'm sure this is not customer service to any degree!

I travel to Fredericksburg for work occasionally and I always stay here. The staff, rooms and breakfast are always great. This is a very convenient location as well. When in the area this is my go to hotel.

Stayed weekends for contract work in Fredericksburg. Room served the purpose, last weekend I stayed I found the room to have a bad smell- like urine. Housekeepers were rather noisy during the day( day sleeper) manager got “mad” I had complained about noisy housekeepers, therefore, I canceled my last few weeks there.

Great comfortable place, affordable rates. Awesome breakfeast (yes feast) and staff. Kind of off the path so you have to use your GPS and trust it even if it looks odd. But so nice one you get to it. The staff is so sweet.

The hotel was just a few miles from the festival we were attending and it was a very comfortable room and an extremely plush bed. It was non smoking rooms but they has rocking chairs across from the lobby where we had our cigars and it was a gorgeous night to do it in.

We stopped here on our way home to Ontario from Florida and it was perfect. The rooms were clean, beds were comfortable and the continental breakfast was much better than expected. The pool was fantastic too :)

First time I used the service and I am satisfied. The beds were very comfortable, the products left by the best western were very nice aka lotion, shampoo, and soaps. I got a real charge out of getting a duck for a gift..

Our room had 2 Queen beds and was beautifully decorated. I understand it was newly decorated this spring. We called in the evening after arriving in Fredericksburg and the BWPlus was booked. We then booked at the BW. Because of the outdoor entrance to the room, I was a bit skeptical, but they have secure locks. I was delightfully impressed with the decor of the lobby and breakfast area. Upon entering the room I was again impressed and pleased. Should definitely be a 3 star BW. The pool is unbelievably large, although we did not use. In the morning the breakfast was good although both the regular and decaf was especially strong. Very attractive and good location. Would definitely recommend.

I had a really quick stay at this location, it is dated, but is a good value for you money and well kept and clean. Staff was friendly, efficient and quite helpful. Pool was particularly a nice plus. Parking was also easy and free.

If you're in Fredericksburg, this is a wonderful choice of hotel. Front lobby staff are very polite, informative, and professional. The rooms are very clean, with a microwave, modern TV, working remotes, and mini fridge. We are a group of 7 renting 3 rooms We asked for and were provided with 2 adjoing rooms. The pool is midsized & has extra towels in a bin, so no need to use the ones in the room. There is a Wendy's, McDonald's, Subways, D&D and other eateries in less than 5 minutes walking distance. The complimentary breakfast consists of various cereals, pastries, bacon, eggs, pancakes, a Belgian waffle maker, coffee, tea and many other very delicious foods including fruits, vegetables and yogurts. It is very conveniently located off of I-95. will definitely stay at this hotel again on my next trip to the southeast.

This was an older hotel. We stayed because it was pet friendly. The breakfast was good. The hotel is close to lots of restaurants and shopping. It is easy access from 95. Room was on the smaller side. After just staying at a Best western in Lumberton a week before, I thought the price was a little high compared to the previous hotel. the room was just adequate.My daughter and son-in-law decided to stay with us and when I added them to the reservation the price jumped quite a bit. The hotel is pet friendly which one of the reasons we stayed here.

The room looked clean at first but upon entering but then I entered the bath area. Hair on the counter and shower area also there was a large water stain on ceiling that had started to mildew. Obviously the housekeepers don't look around. Also in the early morning, there were three cop cars outside our door in the parking lot. I have no review for the breakfast since the Best Western we stayed in in Harrisburg the night before was horrible we opted for Metro Diner across the street.

Always prefer hotels with inside hallways, not doors that open to the outside, but we were in a hurry to get a room and always like Best Western, so we booked it anyway. Also, no elevator, other than that, everything was fine. Room was clean and breakfast was really good. AAA saved us 10% so for the price it was worth the stay.

For the price you get a very clean room. It looks like it was renovated recently. The pool was also nice with guest towels neatly kept in big containers. A nice shower and we get a free breakfast. We've stayed in a few hotels in the area and none were that nice. The host was very nice and efficient. His voice sounds like an narrator in a movie. The next time we are in town we will come here. Good job!!!

Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, breakfast was really good. Coffee was real, not instant. Close to Dunkin Donut and little store, perfect for those on a bike. Pool was really clean and pretty. Very nice place. I'd go there again.

My son and I were woke up and disturbed my people hanging out right in front on my room window. I asked them to quite down only to be to disrespected. I proceed to ask hotel staff for help only to have staff join in with white trash quests being loud and obnoxious. Not to mention mold on shower ceiling. Then I have my cell phone charger stolen. Disgusting place!

We were very satisfied with this Best Western! We stopped for one night, on our way to Myrtle Beach. It is slightly like a motel, considering you enter the room from the outside. However, we slept well and had absolutely no issues. We were pleasantly surprised that we did not hear any outside noise. The continental hot breakfast was also great! In fact, it was the best continental breakfast we've ever had!

This is a fairly typical smallish Best Western motel but is in a good location for visiting the battlefield and town. The rooms were clean and comfortable, nice pool. The staff were very friendly and helpful and gave us great tips on what to see, the best routes to take etc. Decent, plentiful breakfast included.

This is a nice hotel. If you are looking for a clean place to lay your head for the night, this will do nicely. Has a nice breakfast. The downside is that all of the room enter from the outside. There is also no elevator for the second floor.

We had a wonderful 2 nights here. Clean rooms, friendly staff. I asked for a room near the pool and got it. Very nice. Clean rooms, updated decor. The pool wasn't as cold as I expected, which was a good thing. Very accommodating!

I guess when my husband booked the hotel for us he assumed it would be a classic BW hotel. It turned out to be an old motel, which we were both not impressed by. We travelled with our 9 mo old daughter and I guess we would have felt safer in an actual hotel. It was kind of noisy, you could see people walk by our room in the dark. The room was definitely dated. It was clean, staff was friendly, breakfast was good. If you don't mind having a door to the parking lot you'll have a great stay.

This is the 2nd time we've stayed at this Best Western in Fredericksburg while on our way to the Outer Banks. This is a good solid basic choice if you need a stopover accommodation just off the main highways in Fredericksburg. It's a slightly older establishment which could use some fine tuning. It's a busy hotel, so you likely need to make reservations before hand. The rooms are good and clean but also somewhat basic. There is a very nice pool in the back surrounded by greenery; a good place for the kids to unwind after sitting in the car. The breakfast is solid and plentiful. Overall it's a good safe stop. One last thought: we had some issues regarding the room rate. Pay attention to the number of people in the room because that directly affects the rate. But the front counter staff worked out these issues with the class. All in all, this is a good stop. We had a good-sized group, and everyone was happy with the accommodations. Convenient access and location. Easy access to the highway. The outdoor pool will be great as the temperatures rise. Many restaurants and other conveniences nearby. Ice machine and down home feel. Nice place to stay.

Sink and mirror are separate from bath and not private from bed area. Room size is on the small side but adequate for an overnight stay. Location is great for downtown Fredericksburg, Chancellorsville and Wilderness Battlefields. Right on Plank Rd, VA-3, near I-95.

Great hotel! Very clean updated room and best breakfast selection we have seen at BW. But, hotel is “pet friendly” as I was told when called to complain about a dog that howled from 5:30p til midnight! If howling, and yapping, dogs disturb your sleep, stay somewhere else. They said they had 50 dogs there on the weekend and some owners left them alone too long.

Good location off I95, need to drive a short way for decent restaurants, nothing in walking distance except fast food. Clean rooms, friendly staff. A lot of dogs which was ok for us but might not be the ideal place if you are not a dog lovef

Door to our room didn't close properly. Had to be slammed really hard, but the room was a nice decor and bed was comfortable. Internet worked fine.The man at the desk seemed dazed at check in and 8 hrs later at checkout. Perhaps he had been sleeping. And lastly, if you need handicap parking, request a room facing the parking lot.

Room had been updated, which was nice. Breakfast was pretty basic but certainly sufficient. I guess that for the price, it was fine but from the pictures, I guess I didn't realize that the rooms were all entered from exterior.

Pulling up to the two-story, outside-room-entrance lodging made me think that Best Western had just taken over a 1980s motel. The uneven outdoor staircase could certainly use some TLC, too. Inside, however, our room was updated, clean, and spacious. WIFI was great, and fridge, microwave, and coffee were all fine. Sink area with long countertop was outside small toilet/shower bathroom. It was unbelievably quiet, but that might be because we were there midweek(?) Parking lot felt secure, and hot breakfast was ample and tasty.

We travel up the East coast frequently with a German Shepherd. This is by far one of the better hotels we've found! The property and room was nice and clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful (they actually seemed to enjoy their jobs) and the room itself was ground floor, outside entrance with nearby walking places for the dog to do her business and it was nice to park right outside the door. The dog fee was only $11 or something, which is less than other places, and it's hard to find a place that will take such a large dog. It's definitely one of our favorites for travel and we will be back!

We stop each year on our drive to Florida. It is a great hotel. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Rooms are clean and updated. Breakfast is good and filling. Price is good too. We will stay again when we are in the area.

Standard chain hotel close to I-95 and restaurants. Book it cheap online rather than walk in and get rack rate. Better quality linens and towels, newer mattress and furniture. Fast WiFi. Fairly good breakfast, attentive and friendly staff.

We did not have reservations and just stopped along I95 because we were getting tired. Best Western has never let me down! My mom is handicapped and needed a first floor room. They instructed us the best place to park for her and we just so nice. The breakfast was fantastic. We are definitely coming back.

We stayed here because the price was reasonably and the pet friendly price was wonderful. My brother stayed there before. The hotel on Plank Road is located near all the eating places and shopping stores.

We are staying in this hotel every year on our trip from Florida to Boston, we just love it. The staff is very friendly, room are clean, breakfast is very good. What else would you need from hotel? I would recommend everybody to stay there, thank you for hospitality.

Great little place to stay in Fredericksburg. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Not far from attractions. Just a short drive away from museums. Coffee was delicious! Getting breakfast is always a plus for me I'd stay again.

My wife and I always stop at this motel on our way back from Santee S.C. where our friends live.Besides a great hotel there are plenty of places to eat after a long day of driving.We never consider looking for any place to stay!!!

On our way home from Florida we stayed at this hotel because of the good reviews. So glad we did. We had a modern room and bathroom-very clean on the first floor with parking right outside our door. The internet was very fast. Good TV reception. Breakfast area was bright and clean with a good selection of food. Reception and checkout was flawless and friendly. Will certainly stay there again next time.

I want to point out this place is a 80's type Motel, it's all exterior corridors with rooms that host a door and large window facing the parking lot. I strongly prefer for my own security reasons a semi controlled entrance hotel with interior corridors. With that being said I will say that the place is very clean, the sleeping areas are fully updated and comfortable, the bathrooms will bring it on back to the 70's. We were lucky enough to have pastel blue shower tiles with a old school heat lamp above the toilet. Breaskfast was great, that portion of the building was also renovated recently. It was clean, spacious, and the lady taking care of it was attentive. I wouldn't stay again just because of the Motel feeling. If I did my research I would have never booked it as again I prefer a hotel setting. If you don't mind the setting it's a great place to catch some sleep while traveling the I-95 corridor.

I've stayed here several times when making this same drive and have yet to find another location where I am as content. Pleasant, accommodating staff, tidy rooms, comfortable beds, plush towels (the towels at another Best Western on this same trip were see-through threadbare). I travel with dogs so also prefer this location's setup where my car is able to be parked right outside my door and the the door opens direct to outside. I am surprised at what some other "pet-friendly" hotels offer, with no trash cans to be found on the grounds and littered with what irresponsible pet owners leave behind. I've never found that to be the case here, their dog area is clean and well lit with a bag dispenser and trash cans. I look forward to staying here again the next time I travel through.

Upon reaching this hotel we were greeted by friendly and considerate staff. Our hotel room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast spread was especially pleasing.We would gladly recommend this hotel for a restful stay.

We stopped here on our way home going north and were very glad we did. Hal at the front desk was very friendly and we were pleased with the accommodations. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the shower and water pressure was great. The free breakfast the next morning was very good. We will definitely stop back !

Hotel was adequate, clean and spacious. Pet friendly. We stayed with our puppy in a room toward the back of the hotel and it was fine. Room and bed were fine. The coffee served at breakfast was awful. Recommend they get a different coffee or clean the filter of the coffee machine. It was not good at all. Recommend that you have breakfast in restaurants near there.

We stayed here on two different occasions on our way to and from South Carolina. The room was small, but clean, quiet, and comfortable. The hotel is conveniently located to restaurants and other services. We found the staff unfriendly, and also didn't like the fact that the parking area was nowhere near our room.

We stayed at the special question because of the excellent reviews. We were very pleased with the building, the decorations, the grounds, and the staff. Our room was exceptionally clean and we love the hardwood floors since we were taking our account with us. The free hot breakfast in that area was impeccably clean, and very well-stocked. All types of bagels, toes, muffins, coffee‘s, juice. Overall this was an exceptionally great motel. Will go there again and recommend to our friends and family. I will give this a five star rating. I'll staff is very knowledgeable and very pleasant.

Stayed 2 nights while in the area for a wedding. The room was adequate. We liked being on the first floor and the fact that we were in the back of the complex as we were traveling with our dog. This was definitely the pet friendly portion of the hotel and all the other rooms nearby had dogs as well. Staff was friendly and helpful at both check in and check out. We would stay here again if we were back in that area.

I like Best Western Hotels because they constantly give good to great quality of service. I used the Best Western at Fredericksburg for its good location. It gave me quick and easy access to four of the major Civil War Battles. This hotel was clean with a friendly staff. It has good access to Interstate 95. Also a major mall and shopping district was just on the other side of the highway. Good restaurants, a Walmart, and a CVS all were with in a few minutes drive. Just use your navigation aids to find the location of these restaurants and shops.

Very nice visit. The room was perfect and the staff were all very helpful and pleasant. The breakfast was great and every food item fresh and well presented. Would definitely return in the future!! Parking was not a problem and I remember swimming last summer.

Have stayed at this motel before. They must have purchased new mattresses since our last stay because their mattresses were the most comfortable I've slept on in a long time. More comfortable than my bed at home. Good breakfast selection. They had grits with sausages, yum. Other standard fare but overall would rate above average. We definitely return when passing through again.

Friendly staff on arrival. Our room was large, but smelled a bit of smoke, but the beds were comfy. It looks to have a nice pool area, but as it was raining all the time we were there, so we didn't take a dip. Breakfast was OK. This motel was convenient for where we wanted to be and the price was reasonable. There are several places to eat nearby.

My stay at Best Western Fredericksburg, VA was very enjoyable. Despite a minor problem at the hotel did not stop us from having a comfortable night. Would still go back to this hotel when passing that way again.

This hotel is a great stop on your way to Florida. It took us 6 hours to get to VA and we had a wonderful stay before heading to SC then Fla. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is heading south and needs a place to stay.

This hotel was pretty nice. We asked for a room downstairs and the man at the front desk was able to comply. Decorations were nice and the hotel seemed to just be redecorated. There was wood floors in the vanity area and new granite counter tops.

Don't go here in the winter. Pipes cant handle the cold. No maintenance on weekends. Was told this happens when the weather gets cold. no needs to ask for a different room the problem is throughout the building.

Overall excellent. Breakfast was satisfactory. Not much selection of sweets. Actually not much selection. No bananas! Lady at front desk was wonderful. Helped with getting to sites and meeting my room desires.

My wife and I do an occasional weekend get-away. Fredricksburg, VA, was a location we felt was fun to visit. What is great is the hotel's location is right off I95. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was outstanding. We will go back there when we plan to visit the area again.

I usually stay at a Best Western when on the road just for leisurely trips and the best one was in Gettysburg, Pa. A big difference between the two hotels. This one can use some remodeling and the person taking care of the breakfast needs to make everything fresher and have that fresh taste. By the way, don't ask for a wake-up, you will not get one.

I have been reluctant to review this hotel in fear the rates will go higher but mostly because it might be too full next time we try and book. Everything is perfect for us here. The only reason I am reviewing now is because the hotel and staff deserve the recognition for operating an EXCELLENT hotel and business.

I had a handicapped accessable room. This room was anything but accessable. They had a large table that made it impossible for me to reach the heater controls or window shades. Twice i notified the desk that the door from the room to outside was missing the weather stripping and was leaking cold air like sieve. This was never fixed. They have a good breakfast but i probably would think twice abput staying hete again

Food service was horrible, water downed OJ, Ran out of sausage gravy an hour into the breakfast time (6-10) bacon was terrible, served hash really !!! Bathroom pressure was week plate on cold water nozzle turned with handle, Car alarm going off for 30 minutes woke me up at 4:00 am where was management? No one out there. For the money go to Hampton Inn !!!

We were on a quick trip to the area and since I am a Best Western rewards member, we decided to stay in this hotel. The room was large enough to fit a king sized bed. Very comfortable. Clean as well. The staff was friendly and accomodating. The water pressure in the shower was perfect. Plenty of hot water. Overall a good value.

The hotel is very conveniently located. The staff is pleasant. The bed is comfortable. The breakfast is plentiful. Wouldn't mind more water pressure/drainage in the sink. Also, perhaps update the room fridges.

I was very impressed with this hotel. Beautiful reception/breakfast area. When the Gentleman at the Front Desk told me how much it was going to be and I kind of did a double take. I thought the cost would be more. The rooms are way to beautiful.. the beds, the pillows, the sink area. There is a desk and a fridge. I will for sure be back if I am ever in the area again.

We stay at this hotel every year for our get to get her with family. The bedding decor and flooring was updated and comfortable. We will be back to stay in the Spring. A must stay for families and especially ones with a pet.

Both Victor & Deborba warmly greeted me making check-in no problem. This is a two story facility, with all doors opening to the parking lot, with at least three staircases. Room #5. Two comfortable queen bed, with three pillows each. Flat screen-90-100 channels sit atop a three drawer chest. M/F. Writing desk with lamp-2 electrical outlets- & swivel chair. Two comfort chairs surround a round table. Metal luggage rack. The comfort chairs made backup luggage racks. Bathroom. Wall to wall counted with matching mirror. Bottles of shampoo, conditioner & lotion. Plenty of towel, a bit on the scratchy side, used my own big fluffy soft towel. Wall mounted rack with ten wooden hangers. Iron & board. Coffee maker. Safely bar on side wall. Hot water for shower in nine seconds. Rubber mat for tub floor. Toilet paper on the thin side. Bathroom very clean, not sure about carpet, possibly just worn down. Breakfast. Hours 6:00-10:00. Steamers for scrambled & fried eggs, omelets, sausages, sausage & gravy, bacon, one waffle maker, yogurt. toast. Pasties of bagels, mini rolls. English muffins. Many different small boxes of dry cereals. Fresh apples, oranges & slices of oranges. Apple, orange juice. Coffee. 2% milk. Seating is ten tables with three chairs each. Two dispensers for plastic silver ware. Each morning at least one woman constantly wiping down tables & restocking items. Guest laundry is located on the second floor, since I don't use it, have no information. Guest computer is located in the business center straight across from the front desk. Eateries. Within walking distance-a Shoney's to the left, to the right is KFC, Subway, a Dunkin Donuts/Baskin Robbins. Across Plank Road-which can be workout- is Cowboy Jack's Saloon-very good.-Carlos O'Kelley's-mexican- & McDonalds. Had only one small problem, the toilet bowl would run intermitting. Informed front desk, within 15 minutes-at most- maintenance had replaced the flapper. The facility's pool can be reached by walking through the ally by the business center or the back room on the lower level. I met several staff only got the following: Victor, Hul, Debbi, Moko, & Tom, all were helpful, polite & friendly. I wouldn't hesitate to stay in the future and recommend a stay.

Easy on/off of route 95, only 1/2 mile off the exit. Easy check in and check out. Beautifully decorated lobby. Comfortable beds. Very clean room and bathroom. Good internet speed and ease of login. Complementary breakfast. All for a very, very reasonable price. What more can you ask for?! I highly recommend this motel.

Rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. Employees were very friendly and accommodating. Warm breakfast with lots of variety. Eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, variety of breads, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt and fruit. Juice was watered down.

I stayed with my wife and mother in-law while on a road trip from Pennsylvania to Myrtle Beach SC. Our room faced the Garden and we had two lawn chairs to enjoy the fresh air after a long drive. The staff was courteous and friendly. The breakfast was a typical motel breakfast. I was surprised that they had blueberries and strawberries for my waffle. On my next visit to this area I will stay here again!

Great hotel, just 1 disappointment.....the Internet service for 2 .Ipads. It appears the basic BW has stepped it up a bit, at least at this hotel......the previous night's stay , in another BW, .....can't say the same.

This is our hotel of choice with visiting family in Fredericksburg, Virginia. The location is perfect for our needs. The room is always clean. The staff is always pleasant and helpful. The breakfast dining area is welcoming with a nice variety of breakfast choices.

The room was clean with comfortable bed and nice amenities. The AC and heat was fine. Refrigerator and TV worked great. Wifi was iffy so I didn't give it an excellent rating, but everything else was good including the breakfast.. There is a nice pool area also.

My husband and I use this hotel for traveling back and forth to the Outer Banks. All staff is very friendly.Rooms are OK.. The floors, in the rooms however, need to be cleaned better. Very dirty. Hotel is great that it allows pets. Staff will give you a bone for them and even supply waste disposable bags outside where you walk them. Dispenser for bags is always stocked.

Basic motel. Clean, nice decor, comfortable enough. Nice breakfast and friendly staff. Pet friendly so most people had a dog. The issue was we purposely searched for a room with queen beds and found this hotel which offered both double beds and queen and reserved queen rooms. When we checked in we walked in and noted the double beds immediately so we went straight to the lobby to be told those are our queen rooms. I explained that the beds are doubles to which the man replied, "No one has ever told us that before." I am not sure if he thought that somehow changed the beds. I asks him to either let us see the double room and we could compare bed sizes or supply a tape measure and we could measure and he could produce neither as the hotel was sold out and he did not have a room to show me. And of course...no manager on duty. Again, the hotel was nice enough. The location was great. I was/am just put out because we purposely searched for a hotel with queen beds and I did not appreciate that they are trying to pull off double beds as queen rooms as if people are stupid. We have a queen bed, we know the difference. Just beware, expect double beds, no matter what the advertisement says...unless you somehow get lucky and get a real queen room.

We stayed here to have a close spot between Manasas and Fredericksburg to see several of the Civil War National Parks. Was within minutes of downtown Fredericksburg which had several breweries and restaurants. Clean, comfortable hotel. It does have outside single door rooms which I was not expecting for a Best Western. This hotel had one of the best free breakfasts we had on our whole trip.

This is a great motel, with many amenities. The staff was very helpful, the rooms clean and spacious, and the exterior was kept very clean. They are also a pet friendly motel which works great for us! The breakfast was delicious with many items to choose from and we look forward to coming back to this motel.

The hotel and rooms are very clean, it is conveniently located next to I-95, has many restaurants to choose from for lunch and dinner, the staff is very courteous and the delicious breakfast has a wide variety of items available to choose.

This hotel was quite pleasant to stay at. In room wifi and the business center were helpful, the pool area was relaxing (And DEEP! At 6'3, most pools are too shallow for me to enjoy, but an 8 foot deep end was a pleasant surprise). The beds are extremely comfortable, and there are enough outlets to power all of your various gadgets. Caring, friendly staff, and centrally located enough to reach anything in fredericksburg quickly. Overall, a great stay.

Easy on/off from I-95. Room was clean and everything was in working order. The room had no carpeting which is a plus in my book. Hal from the front desk had 2 dog bones waiting for my dogs and was very accommodating. There were a lot of restaurants in the area to grab a bite to eat. I would definitely stay here again on a return trip from Florida.

I booked this hotel through Booking.com and obtained a great price for my stay. It was a King Size room; which included breakfast. The breakfast had plenty to offer and plenty of seating. Used the outdoor pool and it was very clean. Even though the Reception/Breakfast building is new, the actual hotel rooms are a bit dated - but very clean. I would stay here again while in Fredericksburg.

We stayed here for 6 nights and couldn't have been more pleased. Good location not far off the interstate, located near restaurants and stores but far enough off the main road so you don't hear the traffic. You can easily walk to Subway, KFC, Dunkin Donuts, Baskin Robbins and Wendy's. The location was convenient if you want to visit Old Town Fredericksburg and also close to a major shopping area at Central Park or Spotsylvania Town Centre. Clean lobby, rooms and grounds. Beds were very comfortable. Clean, well-maintained pool which we used almost every day. Staff was efficient, helpful and very friendly. The free breakfast was a nice surprise - eggs, bacon, waffles, fresh fruit, cereal, all types of bread/bagels/muffins, juices, coffee - everything was fresh and replenished frequently. Coffee and tea, along with fruit, was available in the lobby 24/7. We will definitely stay here in the future!

Quick check in and out, easy on and off of highway. Many restaurants and stores close by. Rooms were clean and comfy. Breakfast was a large variety of hot and cold items. My only complaint is there was a party who had several rooms on the first floor by the pool and they were all gathered outside their rooms talking and socializing at 2 in the morning. However I called down to the front desk and within minutes and noise level was reduced.

Friendly staff, clean and nice size room, did not hear any noises, not even the cars from the highway, and the breakfast was varied and very good. I wish we could have stayed a bit longer because the outside pool area was very well organized and inviting. A "will go again for sure" experience.

We really like this hotel. First time staying here and will be back next year. We had a room close to the pool; and it was perfect for my grandsons. There are restaurants close by. There is a Shoney's in front of the hotel that was a quick short walk. The hotel has easy access to/from the freeway. Continental breakfast was very good. We stopped here on the way to Outer Banks. It was a nice break from driving!

We have stayed at this hotel each time we travelled to visit our family in Florida. Each time we have been very pleased with the service and the cleanliness of the room. We have used the handicap room each time and if was great. We also always eat at the free hot breakfast and have always enjoyed the food and the service there. Prior to my stay here,I stayed at another hotel in Norfork Va to attend a wedding. I was not pleased at all with the quality for the price that I paid. Upon arriving in Fredericksburg I was impressed with the cleanliness and friendliness of the Lobby and staff. My room surpassed my expectations after paying more for a lot less. It was large and well lit,very clean and had a lot of natural light. I will be back.

This must be one of the best hotels in the area. If you don't reserve a room you might be disappointed. Last year I failed to reserve a room and had to stay at a different hotel that didn't meet our approval. So now I always make reservations when I'm in the area.

Excellent breakfast, no problems with WiFi and cleaning staff does a fine job. Highly recommended for traveling with pets. Very close to Civil War battlefields and other historic sites. Central Park Plaza, Towne Centre Mall and Wegman's Groceries are very nearby.

Convenient to highway. Variety of breakfast choices. Continental breakfast included. Liked the in room refrigerator. Friendly and helpful staff. Stayed on upper level facing the parking lot. No elevator. Rooms could use upgrade in furniture and carpeting and prefer not to see bedspreads on bed.

Had a great time in Fredericksburg! Love all the history there.. loved the tour by the ranger and self walking tour on our own! We drove around to see the town and will definitely come back. So very interesting enjoyed it so much!!

Nice hotel, with great customer service, clean rooms with comfy bed. I forgot my razor and a manager provided me with what I needed and offered more. Breakfast was very good and I enjoyed a good swim in their outdoor pool ( which was also clean). On my next trip to the area, I'll look to stay at this Best Western.

Clean, up-to-date rooms. Comfortable beds. The standout though was the STELLAR, DELICIOUS breakfast experience, where Latricia in the Dining Area greeted us with a warm smile & an easy sense of humor, as if we were family. She was soooo helpful & genuinely sincere. See u again this fall!

This hotel is our regular stop when traveling up and down I-95. It is an excellent value located conveniently near the 130 exit from I-95. The hotel is immaculately clean and well maintained with a friendly and courteous staff. It is located near a number of good restaurants. We especially like Cowboy Jack's Saloon and Steakhouse.

Nice hotel with very pretty pool area. Staff was helpful and friendly. Clean and comfortable. King room was great with a very comfy chair and ottoman. Nice location on Rte 3 close enough to 95 to be very convenient but far enough away to not hear highway noise. Shoney's, Subway and others right next to property. Major shopping a 5 minute drive away, and historic Fredericksberg close too.

If this review were based on our first stay, the one on the way to the OBX, it would have been a higher rating. We chose here for its listing as a dog friendly place on2 travel sites. And yes it is very dog friendly. Our first room was on the ground floor, way in back near the dog walking area. The flooring was non carpeted, what I expected to see in a dog friendly room. It was a bit tight for myself, wife, 19 year old son and Max, but doable for an overnight stay. The way back, we were in a hard to reach second floor balcony room, far from the dog area, and surrounded by quite a few 'characters', who thankfully vanished by about 8 PM. This room was carpeted, and not as cozy as the first. In all fairness, we made last minute travel plans on the return trip and they did us a favor in getting us a room only 4 days prior to us heading home. All in all, a bit tight, clean room, very fairly priced, and a great breakfast.

From the room to the pool to an incredible breakfast to incredibly friendly staff, our stay exceeded our expectations. The breakfast was the biggest surprise with fresh waffles, eggs,bacon, fresh fruit , and many other options . They even had almond and soy milk which shows a level of care for everyone. I are gluten free with no problem. The caring attitude also extended to the pool where there was a lift for disabled people to enjoy the pool too. We stayed in a no pets room but it was good to know the pet friendly option is there.

This is a motel, not a hotel, but we were pleasantly surprised by its high standards. The rooms were updated and well maintained. The bathroom was clean and the beds comfortable. There is a business centre as well as an outdoor pool. The morning breakfast was the best we experienced in our 10 days of travel - very tasty! Our only complaint is the free WiFi was bad - it kept going down. Other than that, an excellent stay and I highly recommend this motel.

We have stayed at this Best Western in the past. It is a convenient location along the route from New England to FL. With Best Western you know the beds are comfortable and rooms clean but this particular location has a great breakfast. Will recommend and stay again if its on our route.

And the breakfast was excellent and well prepared. Lots of choices and room for about 50 in the dining area that had lots of quick turnover making it easy to get in and out and on the road. There were some truck type vehicles that took um multiple spaces that made it a longer walk to your room late at night, though.

This hotel was simply fantastic. The entire outside was very well manicured and upkept. The foyer was very pretty and the entire hotel felt very upscale. The employees were great from the front desk to the house keepers. Breakfast was great with tons of variety and even a custom omelette bar! I'd highly recommend this hotel to anyone!

We stayed one night at this location and it worked out very well. It is convenient and the front desk staff are friendly and welcoming. The beds were comfy and the room was very clean. The shower head was definitely better than the average hotel offers. The breakfast was quite good with a lot of variety. The lady who was maintaining it did not stop moving for a second---she kept everything fresh and filled. We felt the value was extremely good for what we got relative to the price we paid. Would stay here again if in the area.

We were in the area for a graduation party. We stayed just one night. Our room was clean and comfortable. No complaints. We did not get to use the pool. Breakfast was good, they have a nice selection. I wish the bacon had been crunchier but that's a personal preference. Overall we had an excellent stay.

Always use this hotel as a halfway travel point visiting family. Staff is great, breakfast is tasty and the room is clean. I have read some nit pick reviews on this hotel and feel they are not deserved as for the $$ spent it is a great deal.

Overall this was a good experience! Stayed for one night traveling along I-95 to South Carolina. Very convenient off of I-95. Clean, friendly and very nice breakfast to get us on our way! Would stay at another Best Western while traveling again.

Don't ask for an extra blanket here. They are very attached to them. Will also give a tutorial on how to work the air conditioner/heater unit. The passive aggressive gentleman at check in was very welcomed and created a black hole of negativity at the registration area desk. Glad I was only at the event horizon and was able to pull away.

We can not say enough about this hotel. We don't have any desire to check elsewhere . Every time we return each year there is always upgrades. This year we arrived to wonderful new floors and a beautiful bedspread Driving into the lovely landscaped entrance after a long day of road driving is a guaranteed feeling of having a great relaxing night ahead. The hotel was very clean, the staff was very professional and the location was great. Easy on, easy off route 95 and closeness to amenities was terrific. There were many options for dinner and all restaurants were very close to the hotel.

This hotel is outside of city center Fredericksburg (which is a lot busier town than I thought it would be) but still easy to navigate back to the city. This is an old fashioned motor inn type place, two stories with doors opening directly outside and no elevators to second floor. If you're on the first floor and get to park outside your room it couldn't be easier - if you're on the second floor not so much. The breakfast was very good, guy at the front desk when we checked in was pretty grumpy, but checking out the girl couldn't have been nicer. All in all a good budget stay - very clean.

This is a motel where you drive to your room so all outside entrances. It's in an odd location and a little difficult to enter when coming from I-95. It was very close to the Fredericksburg Battlefield, James Monroe Museum and University of Mary Washington, which were the sights we were visiting on our way back to NY. I asked if we could check in early so we could leave our dog in the room while we did our sightseeing. They were very accommodating and had a room ready for us which we appreciated. It is pet friendly and we were in the back of the motel which was very quiet. The room was comfortable and the continental breakfast was good with many hot items. It was an easy on to I-95 the next day. Plenty of restaurants and gas stations in the area.

Well appointed hotel with a nice poolside courtyard which is a great place to relax and enjoy a beverage and a swim. A short drive to historic downtown Fredericksburg. Several nearby restaurants and easy on off from I-95.

Checking in and out both convenient. Room was clean and appliances are new. Has hand held shower and easy to get from the interstate. Very convenient for dog owners with trash containers and bags all around the property.

A classic motel in the American mould. Doors on terraces overlooking a central courtyard, small pool, right by the Main Street. Rooms are dated but fine, a/c works but is noisy. Breakfast is basic but filling.

Liked the fact that they honored our request for ground floor king bedroom. It was a lovely stay and Shoney's is right next door which was very convenient for dinner in inclement weather. Breakfast was plentiful, good selection including selection of pastries, bagels, egg, sausage and bacon. One morning had French toast as well. Bed was comfortable though I hate these new small pillows - give me standard or king pillows and I would be a truly happy camper. Rooms were nicely proportioned and though not luxurious they were more than adequate for our needs. Television and wifi connections were available. Pleasant and helpful staff and adequate parking was provided.

What a quaint hotel in historic Fredericksburg. Although it was just a stop on a trip down south, it was comfortable, friendly and very accommodating to our 2 pups! We already booked our room for the return trip!

Traveling to daughters tournament in Virginia Beach and then onto Charlotte NC. The room and service at this hotel far exceeded my expectations. Great value. Excellent location. Staff was extremely helpful during check in and check out. Breakfast was hot and plentiful. Would make this a stop over during future trips.

The room was extremely outdated. Bed mattress was not comfortable. The bathroom had a heat lamp and corroded toilet handle. The carpet had areas where it was coming apart. Service was average. Pay extra and go to another hotel!

I have stayed in this hotel many times. A couple of times I have had to stay elsewhere while in Fredericksburg, and none of the other hotels compare in amenities and value. It's always my first choice.

I am on the road quite a bit in my work. If driving, I usually drive until I am tired then look up available accommodations on my GPS. If Best Western comes up, that is where I go. I am assured of a comfortable stay and a good Breakfast. I was not disappointed in Fredericksburg, VA this visit or in the past.

We stayed at this hotel while traveling from Pittsburgh to the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Our group was three adults and a dog. Check in and check out were quick and easy. The room was very clean. I especially liked that our pet friendly room did not have carpet, but had hardwood look floors. The bed was comfortable, the water in the shower was hot. The complimentary breakfast was plentiful with various food options. Hotel staff was friendly. As a side note; I do not recommend the Shoney's restaurant adjacent (not affiliated) with the hotel. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

The room was dark and was recently remodeled. The ceiling was not finished or was missed in a few spots. I am really not a fan of a Motel and that is really what this is. All in all it was a decent place to rest for a night but I wouldn't go out of my way to stay there again. Also, the entrance from the road is really confusing. On the plus side, breakfast was very good.

The Room was clean.The bed was very comfortable, plenty of pillows. The staff was excellent. The breakfast had good offerings and was delicious. This was the Best Best Western property that we have stayed at.

Lovely clean and comfortable room. Check in easy quick and clerk very helpful and patient with 2 very tired travelers. Plenty to eat nearby. Walking distance to plenty if your as tired of being in the car as we were. Have stayed at several best westerns while traveling and so far never been disappointed. Nice breakfast provided before getting back on the road. Will definitely continue using best western on future roadtrips

We were pleasantly surprised to see the redo on the pet rooms at our usual place to stay on our way home to NH from our home in Florida. The room was clean, smelled good, quiet with new comfy mattresses. The carpeting has been replaced with a wood like surface, which can be mopped. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, although we left too early to enjoy the very good breakfast that comes with the room. Next time!

The check in staff made us feel welcome as soon as we walked in reception. We stopped in 119 it was a double queen bed room. The beds were so comfortable . The room was immaculate and even had a microwave and fridge. The breakfast had lots of choice and was delicious.

On drive home to NY from Florida, we needed a pit stop. Our 2-night stay was just what we needed. Right off 195. Warm welcome from staff, clean well appointed rooms with big firm pillows, nice breakfast. Dog friendly to boot. Just down the road from Funland indoor/outdoor amusement park - big hit with my 7 yr old twins.

This was a nice room, with a comfortable bed, and it was easy to get to off of the highway. Good food in morning. Located near Wegman's and many other stores. I would recommend staying here without hesitation. Pool looked nice but it was too cold to swim.

It's a nice place and the service is good and the breakfast is wonderful. The lobby is lovely and the rooms are clean. Our only complaints are the coldness of the room (cold air comes in all around the door), and the inaccessibility of the driveway if you're coming from I-95

This property is in a choice location and has been well maintained. Obviously the Owner and staff a really concerned about the guest having an excellent visit. I would recommend to all travellers. A great location from which to visit the many Civil War memorials

This hotel his perfect when you're on the road (highway 95) and going south. Near every thing - Starbuck for a coffee in the morning...restaurant for dinner. The breakfast is the best....of all other competitor (other hotel I mean).

This is your typical side of the road motel. There is no elevator and the rooms all face out doors. The walls are paper thin so you will hear everything going on. Bring ear plugs to sleep. That said, it is reasonably cheap, located just off the 95 and only a 5 minute drive to downtown historic Fredericksburg.

Fine overnight stay. Room is spacious with good furniture, although not enough electrical outlets for charging phones etc. Wi-fi is very slow and frustrating. Vanity is spacious. Breakfast is ok. Amenities are suitable for an overnight stay. Excellent location right off I-95.

Even though the address listed was William st, my gps first only showed old William st. passed the Hotel but kept with my gps. redid my gps and it was that hotel, it is also called PLANK RD. just so your aware. Shoneys and KFC right next door. Comfortable beds, good a/c and shower and clean. Friendly staff.
