"The 2nd tinist room i ever stayed"

Do not stay in 1 queen could hardly move thought the Bestwestern in Flushing is the tiniest room but this property has the same space and the neighborhood is quite dirty and unsafe. People are smoking pot outside the hotel. Not sure why they build the room so tiny. I should have read the review before booking.

"Worst hotel experience"

This hotel is disgusting. First, our TV didnt work. Then we discovered the only way to plug the TV in means unplugging the refrigerator. There is no pool as advertised which is especially disappointing since the neoghborhood is bad enough I wouldnt consider walking around. The room was dirty everywhere, there was long black hair in the bathtub and the shower curtain was covered in mold. The mold was large and very obviously has been there a while and continuously growing. I took pictures and will be forwarding as the conditions were beyond just unsanitary. There was a small black box taped to our TV. Literally taped with clear tape. We arent entirely sure what it was but it definitely did not appear to belong. They will not issue any refunds or correct any of these things. Save your money and stay elsewhere.

"Book elsewhere"

We got in at 1:00 am and waited 30 minutes to be checked in. The desk manager was assisting with a charge correction of another guest. TV did not work at all. One of two lamps on bedside did not work.

For probably the 2nd or 3rd time in my long career on the road, I wound up leaving this place after checking into my room, (even though I had to eat the cost). The pics on the website are very misleading. I knew I was in trouble as soon as I pulled up to the place. Let's just say it was NOT in the best of areas! First thing I heard was music blarring away across the street, (hotel faces homes and businesses). They put me in a room facing that street, so of course I heard the noise. When I asked to be moved the desk person told me "she did not think she could do that". As far as my tiny room was concerned, for starters the TV did not work. Reported the problem to the front desk and after an hour no one came to address the issue. Again asked for a different room as was told "they could not do that", (one would think that a Diamond Elite member would be accomodated. Why bother being a member of the club?) There was no kind of decor on the walls. It was almost like being in a prison cell. A lot of this was partly my fault for not doing more research on the place before booking, so it's a lesson learned for me!

"My Hotel nighmare"

My mother and I stayed one night at the Best Western Far Rockaway in New York. I chose this hotel because it just opened in May/June of 2019, the distance from the airport, and they offer shuttle pickup. Upon my arrival on July 23rd, 2019 at 1:30pm I call the hotel at 2:14pm asking instructions on where to go for the shuttle pickup (since this was my first time at JFK airport). Mr. Ash answered the phone, and provided me the instructions for the shuttle pick up. He said that the shuttle will be there at 4:15pm, within my swiftness to get to the train to make my way to Federal Circle, I said thank you and hang up.Upon my arrival at the Federal Circle I called the hotel at 2:59pm for clarification, wanted to make sure I heard Mr. Ash correctly; but, Ms. Cristina answered the phone. I relay to her what Mr. Ash told me, she told me hold on while she reached out to the driver (which I did). Upon her return to the phone, she stated that she talked to the driver, and he stated that he would be at the Federal Circle in a few. Ms. Cristina also gave him my phone number. I waited at the Federal Circle till after 4:00 pm. I called the office back at varies time to questioned the whereabouts of the shuttle, with no answer (phone log attached). I finally got an answered at 4:13 pm inquiring about the shuttle, and if the driver is going to call me. Ms. Cristina informed me to give the driver the few more minutes, and he'll be there. The driver Mr. Charles arrived at the Federal Circle round about 4:30 pm. I ask Mr. Charles if he was here to pick me up, he stated that “I was not on his list, but he would take me there.” Thank you Mr. Charles. It took about 20-25 minutes to get to the hotel from the Federal Circle due to traffic rush hour. Upon my arrival at the hotel, I informed Ms. Kulwinder about the incident with the shuttle, and she was very dump founded as to why I had to wait that long. She was very apologetic for the incident. Few hours later, I had to pick up my mother from the airport. Requested the shuttle for 6:15pm the same day, was picked up at 6:45pm NOT 6:15pm as requested. Upon our departure from the hotel July 24th, 2019, I requested the shuttle pickup at 2:00 am, due to my experience from the pickup from the previous day. I would NOT recommend this hotel to any of my family/friends/co-workers due to the unprofessional/lack of shuttle service that is offered/publicize to your guest on your web page. Guest is the main focus for business.

It's a great place, it was easy to access, the staff is so friendly, the place is quiet so you can feel like at home, they have a private parking in fron of the hotel, I recommend it 100% I will be back later.

"Bugs and mites in room"

Found bedbugs and mites in the bedroom and bathroom. Would not recommend staying here (and it's a fairly new hotel). The customer service was okay, but for the issues experienced, i would not recommend.

"Nice Brand New Hotel"

Nice brand new hotel close to the train and local beaches. Hotel staff was courteous. Small parking lot was no problem now but might get a little cramped once people find out about this hotel. Breakfast was a little skimpy but I don't expect them to waste a lot of food when the hotel is brand new and at low occupancy. Room rate was great but I expect it to increase when they start to fill up. I will definitely stay here again.

This hotel just opened and it looks great. It's one block from the A train. The front desk is friendly and the free breakfast is pretty good. There's parking in the front but only a few spots. It's also not that far from the beach.

"The rudest managers I've ever encountered in my life"

The young ladies at the desk were delightful. I booked for 2 night but called ahead and told them I will only require 1 night. I was told that was fine. When I arrived the young lady at the desk also acknowledge the fact I will only be spending 1 night. I checked out the following morning. i asked if I had to sign anything or if I had paperwork she said NO and thanked me for staying. The nightmare begins when I realized I was charged $305 at 5am the day of my stay. The ad say pay noting until you arrive. check in isn't until 3pm. Then i was charged another $152.00 on my departure date. I wasn't worried I figured a phone call will straighten that all out. I was verbally abused over the phone and was told I was NOT getting my money back!! and he hung up the phone on me. During this time I had my rent to pay and out of an additional $305.00. This establishment has sticky fingers!!! Watch your pockets. I learned from my mistake hopefully you can too!! DO NOT TAKE THE RISK OF STAYING AT THE BEST WESTERN OF FAR ROCKAWAY INN
