Nice rooms, professional and kind staff, Jennifer and a new employee Alexis greeted and checked my husband and I in, though miscommunication with the 3rd party we booked through they took care of us with the hospitality we'd like to see from every hotel we stay in! Thank You both and Alexis you were doing great for your 2nd day, thank you for recommending us to review your hotel as well, so far well worth the stay! -Kimberly

"4 Night Stay-VERY Comfortable & Felt at Home"

Staff VERY friendly, helpful, & professional! Rooms were well-arranged & beds comfortable. Free Continental Breakfast included bfast sandwiches. Coffee maker, fridge, & microwave in room was so convenient! Only thing I'd change was putting little fabric softener on sheets so sheets not so noisy. HIGHLY RECOMMEND STAYING HERE.

We are here for a quick overnight stay. Got a great price for the room. Lots of Pros super friendly front desk easy access great location close parking looks clean comfortable bed and pillows adjustable bedside reading lamps One BIG Con Our second floor room had horrible old smoke smell. It was really intense in the rainy humid climate.

"Decent for price"

Decent for price. Nice location to many things in Erie. Toilet was an issue and air/heat was noisy, but once you got into a rhythm with the noise, it was almost comforting. ;) The overall room was good. Grab and go breakfast was decent.

"Very friendly service"

Valerie helped us when we had a problem with the keycard, to our room. When the card wouldn't work for her, either, she immediately gave us a different room. This gal is a true asset to this hotel. Our room was very clean and comfortable.

The room was beautiful for a less expensive hotel. My stay was very quiet and i had a great night sleep. The service was poor and breakfast was very basic. No coffee downstairs, no milk for cereal. The coffee machine in the room was too small for the provided cups.

"Very low end for a Best Western"

The clerk had sinus issues when checking in. She wasn't feeling good and her nose was running. I was a little worried about that fact with covid being on the rise. I got to my room and low and microwave or refrigerator! The proper furniture was there to accommodate such items but they were missing. The carpet was worn and stained really bad. The chair was stained so bad I wouldn't even sit on it. Breakfast was a grab and go which I do not understand. It's ok for us to touch elevator buttons and push the coffee containers down but we can't be given a good breakfast. Restaurants have been open for months. It's an excuse for them to save a few dollars. Very displeased with this Best Western!

"Do not bother!!!!!"

We drove a bit over 4 hours to get to find out there was no clean room due to Covid & losing housekeepers, etc. We tried to be very understanding. We stayed in the lobby for about 4 hours waiting. While we were there, an argument broke out between rowdy people & the hotel desk staff. The man handled it the best he could, but I ended up taking my child to the car due to awful language (not hotel staff, but patrons). 2 families left. We stuck it out. We got to our room totally exhausted! It was supposed to be handicap accessible & the hotel even confirmed that they could do that for me (I have the email).....but no such luck. There was no refrigerator, which made our 3 night stay suck even more. We got no new linens for 2 days. There were no fans in the bathrooms, so the whole place turned foggy when we all showered. I wore pool shoes into the shower- it was that gross. The lobby smells like cheap perfume & gave me a migraine. Do yourself a favor & look for somewhere else to stay. And if this is the only place left to stay, reconsider planning your trip for another time and stay somewhere else!

"overpriced and a little worn out"

Great location and room was nice enough but dusty everywhere - we had trouble getting cleaning service the second day and would have been happy to just get clean towels but the person did every room on our floor but ours yet we were the only one with a "please service room" tag on our door - so we had to go to the desk and get our own. Was told there was only one person working that day and they must be done for the day - what? Breakfast was also9 a disappointment as I inquired when i made the reservation and was told a continental breakfast with extras mentioned but ended up being just cereal bars and fruit cups. Way over-priced for what we got.

SureStay is an older hotel that converted from another chain during the past year. It is conveniently located on West 12th Street, several blocks from some major attractions in Erie. SureStay was clean and presentable. This is a quality I have come to know and trust from Best Western hotels. The rooms were well maintained and the beds were comfortable. Staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. The hotel offers a small outdoor pool and patio area for guests. It is enough to cool off and/or sit and relax. While this hotel has a nice dining area as you walk into the lobby, I was disappointed in the breakfast. Breakfast consisted of a choice of cereal bars, apples, and fruit cups along with coffee and small bottles of water. With the cost of the room per night, I was disappointed in the breakfast. As covid restrictions have been lifted in Pennsylvania and people are returning to restaurants, the hotel industry appears to be falling behind. There is sufficient, free parking located around the hotel. I would strongly consider staying here again if the price was right.

"Worse stay in a motel ever"

Partying - drinking in the guest lobby Right in front of the desk. Went on past midnight Could not sleep. Could not get hold of front desk. Never again. If I wanted to try to sleep during a drunkin party I would have gone to a Bar. At least that wouldn't have cost 250

"Did not honor our reservation"

I used TripAdvisor which led to Expedia to book two hotel rooms at the Presque Isle Hotel. I had read on TripAdvisor a previous traveler had issues with using Expedia and not having a room, so I called in the afternoon, the day before to confirm my reservation. At first the person said she could not find my name, then asked if I had used a 3rd party booking system when I said yes, she said she found my rooms and they were available. When we arrived at the hotel did not honor our reservation. They said they had a maintenance issue and we were not notified. They put the blame on Expedia. The desk person said the issue occurred the morning before, this means they would have known I did not have rooms when I called to confirm...if this were true. They did not have a maintenance issue. I heard her tell another customer they had overbooked. This customer had a room. and booked directly. If they had been honest with me the day before, we would have found another place to stay or would have gone another weekend. I see on TripAdvisor this is the 2nd time they have done this. We could not find another place to stay. We had to drive home. A three-hour drive. We also lost money from a boat tour we had booked for the next day. Seven other families--all with 3rd party bookings were also sent away​ during the half hour we were there.

I'm not sure what's going on with this hotel. I live in Erie, and there are never cars in the parking lot. I booked a hotel for family coming into town on Tuesday this week. When we got there to check in, they would not let us. They said not letting Erie people stay. Ok, that is odd to me. Something is strange with this place. Almost feels like a scam. Booking beware!!!!!

"Lies lies lies"

I called the night before to ensure I had a room...they said yes, they knew my name etc. Got there the next day and there was no room at the inn! Lady at the front desk was rude. I said I called yesterday and .. she cut me off and preceded to tell me that she doesn't have access to Expedia reservations...its locked with a password and she 'ain't got it!' She said here is a name of our sister hotel you can stay at...they know you are coming! How? If you don't have access to Expedia reservations?!? Not to mention she had a paper with my name on it!! LIES! LIES! EVERYTHING WAS CLOSED at this hotel anyway...pool, restaurant due to COVID (which I understand) but again on the phone the night before they HAD my name and reservations and the pool and restaurant was open! My family was not the only family this happened too...there were 6 other families in line with me at the next hotel! Not happy when I left...but it all worked out in the end at a better hotel! With an open pool and better rooms! Save yourself the aggravation and book at a different hotel!

Been going here for a decade or so. We spend hours at the pool as we are usually the only ones using it during the day. Prior to booking this trip, I called and was told the pool was open. Upon arrival, they had a note that said that the pool was now closed and no breakfast would be served. Pool was open the day before but the owner closed it for the holiday weekend. 90 degree weather. (This was not a govt shutdown as other outdoor pools were open). We were told it was because of Covid. There were 4 cars in the parking lot everyday-2 of them were ours. Ice machine on floor one was out of service. Ice machine on floor 2 did not dipense ice and the 3rd floor did not have one. We received a note under our door that housekeeping would not be cleaning rooms-only exchanging towels and emptying trash. We were told everyone was receiving a discount-did not get one.-we were told that our receipt had to be emailed to us-I am still waiting. I only know we didn't get the discount because I saw the charge on my credit card account.They were very understaffed. There was wet white spackeling all over floor 2 vending area and carpet. Room keys kept not working and had to be re-set. Becca was nice, After all these years, we will not be returning

We had checked in at another motel down the road which was a mistake due to security reasons, and moved over to Comfort Inn actually for less than the other place. Staff were wonderful. Other than being charged double on 2 different cards and no heat until the broiler was turned on our stay was wonderful. Lisa, the manager got the problem resolved on my cards in a very timely manner. She is a wonderful person and a great asset to the company. We will definitely be staying here again next year.
