Was in town for a wedding and the entire team was great from start to finish. Ms. Christina and team are absolutely wonderful. Breakfast was awesome that thicccccc Texas waffle really hit the spot. Also the hotel is extremely clean you can tell they take a lot of pride in where they work. Great leadership!
Staff was friendly and welcoming. It was a very clean hotel smelled nice, comfortable, close to restaurants and local businesses, Walmart was in walking distance. They served a great hot breakfast with lots of choices. Was close to family and friends making it the ideal ace to stay. Will stay again.
This hotel was amazing!! It was very clean, very comfortable and the staff was amazing! The front desk staff were very welcoming and so helpful!! Toni, Danelle and Jaime were awesome. Our beds were very comfortable and the A/C worked great.
This hotel has some bad reviews but our experience was very good. The service was wonderful and everyone was nice. The rooms need updating, but that's not important in the grand scheme. Everything was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good too. Our air-conditioned didn't work and the girl at the front desk cam up right away to check it out. She allowed us to change rooms and the second room cooled off quite nicely.
Stopped for a quick rest driving thru town. Checked in after 3am. They were very accommodating and friendly. Beds were comfortable, ac worked well, quiet and nice breakfast to refuel before resuming trip.
Mattress was rock hard and the pillows were very thin, did not sleep at all the two nights we were there
By far, worst experience at a hotel. Selected this location because they listed on their site an ev charging point. Checked into the hotel and asked where the charging point was. The BW associate Katelyn told us but stated it might not work that they've had some problems with it for however long she wasn't sure. We went to it parking spot was occupied by a truck, and the next closest parking spot were occuped as well. Went back to the front desk to ask if they could contact the owner of the vehicle to allow us to try and charge. Katelyn said she'd try and ask them to move it and proceeded to the filing system. As she was checking she looked over to her coworker and rolled her eyes for the inconvenience we were putting her through. She said the owner of the truck must not have filled out the form that they made us fill out. We asked well if they arnt a guest here can't you have the vehicle towed, and she said "well I'm not going to do that because he might be a guest, and they dont always fill out those forms" we asked why we filled one out then if it means nothing here. We stated our choosing of this hotel was the ev charger, and she stated there were some at nearby store, and we replied we understand that but that's an added cost to us for something that was listed on their site as an amenity. She shrugged her shoulders and stated what do you want me to do about it. We asked to speak to a manager and she stated there isn't a manager here tonight. We expressed that they weren't resolving the issue and that we wanted to call or talk to a real manager, refused again. I explained in these situations there's supposed to be a manager on call regardless. And she said "well I'm not calling her" my spouse then raised his voice and said let us speak to a manager. Then Katelyn yelled back if your going to yell at me you can leave this hotel and we don't want you hear so you can go. We stated the F** you can't kick us out for wanting to speak to a manager, she said we have the right in Texas to refuse service, we agreed to the statement and stated we still want to speak to a manager, then she said we can leave on our own or the cops can escort us out. We repeated let us speak with a manager, Katelyn said she's calling the cops. The other associate Jaylen chimed in while Katelyn went to the back room and asked what was going on we tried to explain but she kept cutting us off in the conversation reiterated their stance on just go to the walmart charger and asked what would the manager do. I tried to explain and she cut me off again, but I insisted she stop so I could explain which she did. At that point Katelyn came in with the assistant manager Denis on the phone and we explaind some of the situation and she started to agree with us on our misstreatment and as soon as she asked if there was anything else Katelyn went to the back with the phone and Jaylen came back into the room and stated the copes were on their way. We understood and stated we still had more to say to the assistant manager, which she simply replied well the cops are on their way. Cops arrived, we waited outside while he listened to the BW associates side of the story and came to listen to our side. In the end he agreed we should be allowed to stay, and let the associates know that, but to make them happy waited in the lobby to make sure we made it to our rooms without further conflict. Embarrassing situation to say the least. Spoke with the AM Denis the next morning and she agreed that none of that should have gone so far. I then explained issues with the room, TV and coffee maker not working along with the ev charger and asked after the ordeal if they can offer a discount on the room, she then stated I'd have to get my managers approval. Came back and Denise said her manager Mrs. Christina Hooper wouldn't do a discount or refund without speaking to us and that she'd be available Monday. We said that doesn't work for us because we leave for a cruise and we wouldn't have phone service after Sunday. We asked that she call her back to see if we can speak sooner, she stated I don't think the manager will answer again cause she was on the road, we asked if she could try again or who to speak with above the manager if she's not available and she said corporate and pointed to cards and we noticed the numbers where the same as the branch managers on her cards. We pointed that out, she gave us the actual corporate number. Once she did that she called the manager again and then stated the manager will no longer consider issuing a discount or refund. Horrible customer service here. Would never stay at this location again do not recommend this as a stop for anyone! Best Western and Branch owners shouldn't allow Mrs. Hooper or Katelyn to represent their business.
I highly recommend Best Western Eastland If you are looking for a nice and clean place in this area of Texas, The location is great, it's by HW 20, right next to Walmart, snd close to some restaurants. Our queen bed suite was very spacious with comfortable beds, a medium size fridge, microwave, coffee machine, coffee table and a small sofa. The gym was clean, they've got some cardio equipments and weights, The nice cafe serves both hot and cold breakfast. I'd like to see more variety of fruits but making own waffles with Texas themed waffle makers was fun. I thought it was a nice touch to have weekly menus on a white board tho. I'd love to give a shutout for one of the front desk staff Amanda!! She is so sweet, friendly and always asks if you need anything!!
Traveling from Southern Arizona to the Dallas Texas area there are only 3 cities to stay at within our range of miles & time per day so we picked Beat Weatern as our go to place to stay. This BW was welcoming, clean and close to fast food, Walmart and inexpensive fuel with Walmart plus gallon discount! The ADA room was spacious and clean, very clean! Nice tv, refrigerator with freezer and a microwave. All worked perfect and were very clean! Kierig type coffee in room was nice. Shower was a roll in and had a nice bench and shower wand. The breakfast is different each day and Tuesday was waffles, bacon and scrambled eggs. There are lots of breakfast items to choose from like cereals and yogurt juices and pastries. All of the staff were so helpful and they were all a very happy crew! The black crickets were all around but the staff had the exterminator out to help keep those critters at bay! We definetly will return to this hotel on our way home!!
Excellent stay, very nice staff facility was very clean.Food was good and hot.Food provider was very nice and keep food stocked. Rooms were nice and comfortable. Will be returning in future.
solid all around clean close to the highway good breakfast decent wifi it was just as expected everyone was very nice there were really no surprises its not a fancy hotel but I wasn't expecting it it was clean and comfortable and everyone was very nice
We stayed at this hotel with friends and it was clean and spacious. Rooms had fridge and microwave. Staff was excellent. Very happy and helpfull and did little things to make the stay nicer like adding tortilla to make breakfast tacos. A different theme each day.
I live in Eastland, and my son wanted to visit to come show me my new 3 month old Grandbaby. I hadn't seen him since his birth & my son lives in South Texas. Due to limited room in my house I told him the Best Western may be the best choice! I knew it had been renovated not that long ago. And it was near Walmart. So if they needed anything the store is right there. I'm COMPLETELY HUMILIATED & SICKENED KNOWING MY son, daughter in law, 4 yr. old grandson & 3 month stayed here! First the elevators were broken & they were put on the 3rd floor. They had to constantly walk 3 flights of stairs w/ 4 yr. old & baby in carrier along w/ bags. Second, the toilet over flowed all over the floor when flushed. Then my daughter in law went run bath for kids & there were dead roaches in the tub!!! WTH….This is not except-able!!! I asked my son if he complained but he's so nice, he said the lady at the front desk was so nice he couldn't vent his frustrations on her. He also said they had so many bags it would have been a pain to change rooms. Thank goodness they had cleaning wipes to somewhat clean the place up! He had to lay towels all over the floor to soak up overflowed toilet!!! And he said it looked like one of the walls didn't even seem finished. What makes it worse is my son had just got out of the hospital w/ pneumonia not even a week before. After being in hospital for almost a week & a half!!! Shame on Best Western!!! I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE EVER AGAIN!!!!
Our sheets and pillowcases were stained, the room was dirty, the nightstand fell apart, and the bathroom door was broken. We only had 3 towels for 4 people and there were no more towels available on the property.
deadbolt non-working, night manager seemed unconcerned; unsecure overnight for female guest. TV failed every time I tried to turn on. Worst breakfast of 4000 mile travel. Fast food was only option that we could find, no dining guide given, Front desk agreed there was really no place to eat on a Saturday night. AND OVERPRICED FOR A TERRIBLE STAY
We really enjoyed our stay. Room was clean and comfortable and breakfast was good. But the ladies that work there were just so dang nice! From the front desk to the breakfast crew they were always checking on how we were doing and if we needed anything. They are serving up some true Texas hospitality!
Every thing was up to par as expected. Pool was clean and was nice and refreshing in the 105° Texas weather. Room was clean, and checking in was a breeze. I look forward to stating at this location again for my next trip.
Park at Walmart off to side or in lanes out of way. Nice short walk to do your shopping for week. Fast food within walking distance. Tractor supply not to far of a walk either. Rooms were nice and comfortable and clean!!
This hotel is clean, staff is Awesome, breakfast is tasty. We gathered in the breakfast room most of the day to visit with family and play games!! For the price, this hotel is Awesome! We will definitely be back!
Stayed for 12 days and kept having to extend my stay. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. I was sad to leave. The breakfast was cooked fresh daily and the rooms were clean and kept up. I do wish they had a hot tub but other than that it was great. I'm a rewards member too.
I stayed there 11 weeks, over 3 of which the elevator wasn't working. Hotel doesn't serve breakfast till 6:30 so as not to actually have to feed people. Every hotel everywhere serves breakfast at 6am. Housekeepers generally cannot even get towels replaced properly.
Not my favorite Best Western, and not my least favorite. I would call it exactly average. The location was pretty decent in my eyes, with a Taco Bell and Walmart next door. Good for me because I needed a late night dinner and to pick up a few things for the road. The parking lot was packed, mostly with construction trucks, so it was tough to find a space. The front desk service was very friendly. They accommodated my room location request, which is always hit and miss, so I appreciated that. The room is showing its age, though. I think they've put lipstick on it, but the bones are in need of an update. But everything worked, so that's all I need. The walls are pretty darn thin. (I know most people complain that hotel walls are thin, and so I only mention it's especially egregious, as was the case here.) Fortunately, the guest in the next door room was mostly quiet and so I only heard him when he coughed. But if you've got a talker next door, watch out. Breakfast didn't start until 7:00, so I couldn't partake.
The room was very clean. The ac unit in the room was malfunctioning. When I called down to the desk to ask for a floor fan, Amanda went above and beyond to find one. She ended up finding a small desktop fan but that was good enough to at least help circulate the air. She was very quick to make sure we were taken care of and offered a room change but it was late and I was tired and already unpacked. I'll definitely stay here again if ever in the area!
Our stay was excellent. Staff friendly and helpful, clean rooms, comfortable beds and GREATTTT breakfast. Highly recommend staying here. We had been on the road for seven hours and everything just went so easy getting checked in and into our room.
Love staying at this hotel. Great location and it's easy to find and the personnel goes above and beyond for customers. I would highly recommend it to others. Breakfast is the best and the to baggies to go really helps out when we are in a rush
Don't let the modem look fool you. They've updated a few things but not much. My first key was to an occupied room. When I got to me real room, my front door didn't latch properly because someone had tried to kick it in (cops?) and broke the door around the knob as well as broke the jam loose from the wall. I went in anyway. The room looked ok but the sheets might as well have been made out of burlap. I found hair in the shower and the bathroom door was delaminating on the back door to extensive water damage. Had to cut my two day stay short due to an emergency and called to check out at 1215. They charged me for 2 days anyway. After trying to get the manager to call me back for 6 days I finally reached them and was told "Check out was at 12, sorry." After being a Best Western Elite Rewards member for a decade I've never been so disappointed in a location and the lack of customer service put me over the top.
Absolutely loved this stay. The hotel is so clean and the staff is amazing. Super nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are in the area for business or travel. You will not be disappointed.
We have stayed here several nights over the past few months. The rooms definitely need updating (furniture, carpeting). The staff is the most unfriendly of any hotel I've ever stayed. The only person to have acknowledged me with a smile and a hello has been one of the ladies cleaning the rooms. The last time we arrived—we had to wait 10 minutes for anyone to come to desk and that was the person coming in for a shift change. If I didn't have family there, I would drive the extra 39 minutes to a town with nicer/friendlier accommodations.
The Best Western in Eastland, TX is so awesome!!!! The place was so clean and fresh and the staff was wonderful and extended me superior customer service!!! If you are looking for a great place with a professional and friendly staff please consider Best Western in Eastland, TX.....awesome place to stay!!!!!!!
This old hotel is currently in under construction. The parking is completely occupied by construction vehicles, and we were disappointed. You even have to ask for coffee in the morning during the breakfast period, as they are using the COVID excuse. There was mildew in the shower as well: Really IHG? I'm writing this review from another HIX in Sweetwater, TX and it is WORSE than Eastland, if you'd believe it! As a former IHG top tier loyalty member, I will choose another chain for my next stay. HIX is no longer worth the premium price tag. My recent stay at Hampton Inn was far more acceptable. I'll use them next time.
My husband and I booked 2 nights at this hotel in December. When we arrived then and only then did we find the entire hotel inside and outside was being renovated. When we were trying to check in you could not even here the lady that was trying to do it and she could not hear us for all the hammering, sawing, drills and loud screaming talking from the workers not 5' from the desk. The entire hotel was a mess. Everything was nasty. They did have some paper sacks out for breakfast that consists of cereal, overripe banana and a squashed muffin. Even early the next morning we were ask by one of the workers if he could come in and put up a new curtain. The hall carpet was so nasty it was difficult just walking down it. The elevator was so nasty from the workers we did not even want to use it and we are unable to take the stairs. We ask the maid for clean towels the next morning, so she would not have to come in make the beds and she did not even have any. She said they were still in the washer. Good Grief! We were not told when we booked this room for two nights that the hotel was being renovated and everything would be of an inconvenience. If we had we would not have stayed here. We felt sorry for the ladies at the front desk who were trying to check people in and talk on the phone. We Should Have been told about this when we booked. For these reasons we would definitely not recommend staying here and we will definitely not be back!
No water for over 3 hours although was told just a few minutes when checking in. No coffee available other than the one cup in the room." Breakfast would have been much better to have told people checking in that there would be no breakfast rather than offer the awful replacement for such.
We stayed one night. Convenient to Wal Mart and Taco Bell, also other restaurants. Negatives were: extremely slow internet, if you can connect at all; deadbolt wouldn't close all the way, and breakfast is now individually wrapped muffins, fruit, or cold items. Very disappointing no coffee available. Keurig coffee in room, but not like hot out of an urn. Chair in room was repaired with tape. Staff was nice, accommodated our request for room close to exit. We were pulling a 5th wheel RV and were able to park at Taco Bell as parking lot is very small. Love HIE, but would not recommend this one.
I would pass on this one. The Hotel is in need of a major overhaul. Things we found wrong that are just really unacceptable in todays selections of Hotels. 1- Toilet seat is Elvis style. You don't know if your going to end up on the floor or what. 2- Missing hair dryer. Bracket is there, but no hair dryer. 3- Bathtub area has bkack mold. 4- Coffee maker was dirty inside and out. Aged equipment isn't trusted as safe. I usually just go down and get the complimentary coffee, but this owner decided to save money.... No coffee. 5- Complimentary breakfast did not exist. Thankfully there us a McDonalds a block away. 6- Tile in bathroom cracked. Carpet is old and smelly. Pluses! TV stations excellent, Air Conditioner excellent. Bed was good, pillows were fair and worn out. Towels were showing threads. I would just avoid this place till they remodel it.
