Best Western Derby Inn

We moved from the north woods several years ago. What a great surprise on our return to fo find the BW Derby Inn. The visit was beyond expectations. The staff we dealt with Lisa and James treated us with the greatest of service. The breakfast they have will rival any restaurant and an unbelievable array of servings. The rooms were immaculate. If you want an evening dinner the Derby is located between many great restaurants. We recommend this fine place and advise you for a great stay, look no further than the BW Derby Inn.

The staff was very accommodating and pleasant. I booked in the middle of the night while working when another hotel let me down. They had my room and key ready to go when I arrived. Hotel was very clean and quiet.

Excellent hotel! Very friendly staff, great breakfast with many choices to choose from, clean rooms, nice pool and hot tub. Bars, Eating places, shopping, everything available within a few miles. Bar is nice as well at the hotel! Thank you!

This is definitely my first choice hotel in Eagle River. I've stayed several times and enjoyed them all. The rooms, staff, and amenities are great. Highly recommended for individuals bad families seeking comfortable hotel accommodations. Breakfasts are included, and the array of healthy options is impressive.

Everything about this place is well done. Clean. Comfortable beds and rooms. Great pool and hot tub that is open to adults all day and night. Hot breakfast with quality options along with fresh fruits, cereals, etc. All the staff is very friendly and helpful, even the cleaning staff smiles and says good morning as you walk past. Drawback is that Eagle River is a very expensive motel market and this motel is top of the food chain. You will have no regrets staying here and compared to others in the area, they are not excessively expensive.

Nice place to stay. I had a bit of an issue on check out but that was eventually resolved. Other than that it was a pleasant stay with better than average breakfast and good service. From what I heard from friends who stayed elsewhere, this is probably the best hotel in Eagle River.

The Eagle River Best Western was located near our destination and the employees were so kind and helpful. It was clean, had delicious breakfast included, and our kids loved the pool. There wasn't too much chlorine so they could enjoy the fun along with a clean hot tub.

A perfect place to stay! Already recommended this hotel to others. It's kept very clean and seems to be updating things as they go. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. Nice to see people who are very cordial to others! I can't say enough about the staff, just that I was very impressed!

Room was overall very nice and remodeled. Service was excellent and very helpful. breakfest was very filling with plenty of options to choose from. The area was right in the middle of town but was very quiet.

Stayed at this hotel for two nights. What a gem of a place. The staff is very friendly, cleanest hotel I've ever stayed at and the breakfast was awesome. I usually can find one or two thing wrong at any hotel I stay at, but not this one. From the Pine tree smell when you walk in, to the amazing decor, the friendly staff, clean room (and building) and amazing breakfast - this place is a home run!!

We were in the area for one night and we would definitely stay here again. The lobby and rooms were clean and well maintained. We didn't make use of the pool or hot tub but would definitely do that on our next visit.

The Best Western Derby Inn is well maintained and very clean. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast selections are typical, and the fresh fruit selections were excellent. The proximity to downtown Eagle River is good.

Staying here either for business or pleasure are both satisfying - excelent place to meet all your needs while traveling. Staff was fantastic in their welcoming attitute and service. We stopped for an overnight on our way to pick the kids up from camp. You can tell the hotel was renovated in last few years. Lobby was had a current Northwoods vibe and was very clean. Rooms were lean as well. the staff is very accommodating. Breakfast in the morning was above average. Just a few hiccups. We booked a king, and did not get one. That happens. While rooms were nice and current, the tubs were not replaced and it showed. Also, the heavy curtains did not close, and there were lights in the soffit that lit up the room. I like a dark room for sleep and rigged up a way to block the light using hangers, but kind of a pain. If looking for a night's sleep, would recommend.

We had been travelling across the country and stayed here on the way home. The hotel meets it's promis of providing a peaceful and comfortable place to stay. The two queen bed room has plenty of space, is clean and has comfortable beds. The pool is maintained at a usable temperature which we enjoyed. Front desk staff are cheerful and helpful. There is also a laundry room and got breakfast. We would stay again. Just note that it is a two story hotel with no elevator.

This is our 5th trip up to the Eagle River area and our 4th time staying at the Derby Inn. We came back because it is a great place to stay and easy to get to all sorts of sights and places. We will be back again next year if not sooner.

Wonderful place which has been completely improved under new ownership. Most of the staff has been replaced with people who have great attention to detail and a very positive customer service relationship. It now soars.

This is the best Best Western that I have ever stayed at and I've been staying at Best Western Hotels for over 40 years. From the friendliness of the staff to the exceptional breakfast to the comfortable room, I would recommend staying here when in the Northwoods!

Friendly professional staff. There was a power outage on the north side of Eagle River when I arrived, the staff met me a the door and I was able to check in and go to my room. Facility was clean and well kept, Breakfast was very good with a nice selection of food. All my expectations were met and exceeded at the Derby Inn,

I stay here every other week on business. When I started staying here in 2021, I paid $90 corporate rate. I now pay $143 corporate rate. My company has told me I need to change hotels because of the price increase. Nothing has changed at the hotel as far as experience or “perks” but the price increased $53 in the year.

Traveling for snowmobile trip , will return to this hotel due to friendly staff and coziness . Hot tube & pool were great .Breakfast had lots of options and food was good . Fresh fruit and hot coffee available

This hotel made our hockey team feel welcome. They were helpful. Also had a large assortment for breakfast. Pool are is very nice. Several tables for groups of people. Also a few different gathering spaces for your group.

This was our 5th trip to the area and our 3rd time staying at this hotel. We will be back again. It is located very central for everything that we were doing and we traveled every direction out of there during our stay.

This hotel is perfect! The location, staff, cleanliness, breakfast, and pool with hot tub make it the perfect place to stay! My family and I stay at this location whenever traveling to Eagle River and always know our stay will be great! I would highly recommend this hotel.

This Best Western was a great place to stay for our fall color weekend away! A very clean and friendly hotel! Close to shopping and some restaurants. Since it was October, some restaurants are already closed for the winter, along with some attractions, but still plenty are open.

This is a well maintained property and is located in a perfect location. If you're looking for a clean hotel, comfortable bed and great free breakfast , then this is an easy choice . We would return without hesitation.

The hotel was very clean and easy access from the main highway. The room was very clean. The bathroom was spacious including the shower. Hotel is close to downtown. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful.

Had to go to a funeral in ER. Got the last rood at the B W. The staff was very friendly, the hotel is clean, breakfast is just right. I would record to a friend and I would stay there again. Only downfall no elevator that I saw. Would be helpful for older people.

The younger foreign girls extremely polite and helpful. You couldn't have asked for kinder staff. The room was clean. Breakfast smelled good. Check out was a different story. Keep your confirmation emails!

Comfy beds and linens, hot breakfast which was kept stocked despite fluctuating demand. Excellent variety.2 adults and all 3 of my picky kids filled their bellies. The shower was one of my favorites as I didn't feel like I was showering in a water trickle like I do at most hotels. Very clean hotel, 24/7 pool and hot tub, plenty of parking, and a really nice atmosphere. Staff were exceptionally friendly.

This was the best Best Western I have ever stayed at, Great front desk team and a owner on premises to make sure all were happy. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Good breakfast with lots of choices. Great attitudes

Very impressed with the hotel. The gentleman that checked me in, who appeared to be the owner, helped me with my bag as I was on the 2nd floor. Very friendly staff. Very impressed with the room (it did have a bit of a smoke smell in it but I brought an air freshener, so it helped - I don't travel without them.) Showerhead could use a replacement and needs a bit more water pressure. Slow draining in the tub. However, you normally don't see updated, nicer hotels up north - this was a pleasant surprise and enjoyed my stay. Had a great view of horses out my window which was an added bonus. Even as I left, the owner was leaving (driving out) and stopped, rolled down his window and took a moment to ask how my stay was - great customer service. As I checked out, the lady behind the asked if I had some breakfast. I advised I wasn't able to stay and had to be on my way, but she encouraged me to take something I could grab and go with - banana, bagel, etc. - very nice. Was a great stay. Would definitely stay again.

The best hotel we have stayed in. Extremely clean and comfortable. The owner is very personable and strives to be sure that your stay is a memorable experience. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. You feel as though you are long lost friends from the moment you walk in. The breakfast buffet is great. If you are in the Eagle River area be sure to book your room here.

The hotel is very clean. I thought it was brand new. The owners/staff seem to take a lot of pride in the property. The staff was very friendly and helpful. If you use a wheelchair, be aware that the roll-in shower in room #112 is VERY small. It is only approximately 36" X 36". I think this is the only room with a roll-in shower. I don't see how this could be ADA compliant.

Really nice hotel! We stayed for 1 night before camp pick up. It was clean, front desk was kind, breakfast was really good, internet worked and room had a view of the horses. We will definitely be back.

I have not stayed at a best western before and was pleasantly surprised with the experience. The staff was exceptional, friendly and amazing. The hotel was very clean. This was a great experience and we would stay there again when in this area. Lisa is amazing!

Stayed 2 nites July 2022. Booked online 4 mo. prior. Room was clean, huge fridge, micro, nice bathrom. First floor. Breakfast was 6-9am Very good and a wide variety. Pool was clean, Hot tub was clean. Staff was fantastic! Stay here!

We needed to do an overnight in the area to pick up our child from camp nearby. An affordable option for 1 night was limited. The other hotels in the area were not as well maintained as this Best Western. The manager, Brian welcomed us and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. They had all the amenities promised and the mattress and pillows seemed recently upgraded. We slept really well. The breakfast the next morning exceeded our expectation. We will be staying at this hotel again.

5th year staying at the Derby Inn and always a relaxing family week. The hotel is under new ownership and was as lovely as always. Special thanks to Miss Heather our housekeeping princess and the owners and staff for going above and beyond to provide a safe stay. The hotel is situated next to a horse trainer with horses out often and is quiet always. The common area is spacious, the pool and hottub are large! We love ❤️ everything about the space and location.

We had an excellent experience. Staff members were very friendly and pleasant. Room was clean and spacious (regular king). We had no chance to use the pool or the hot tub as we were just traveling though, however they looked clean and inviting. The small bar was not open but there were a few adult beverages available to purchase. Breakfast in the morning was adequate to get you started on the road with eggs, bacon and breakfast burritos. No complaints from us. Several nice restaurants in the area. We had dinner at the Kickback grill about a mile away, which was excellent. We would definitely stay at this location again when in the area. The staff needs to be commended for the upkeep of the hotel but especially their kindness and courtesy. Well done!

Hotel is impeccably clean and organized. The staff were very polite and on top of the reservations. Free breakfast is more than adequate, hot and fresh. While I did not use the indoor pool, from the outside it looked quite nice and others were using it, yet the chlorine smell did not permeate the rest of the hotel, which I appreciated. Will definitely stay here again.

We had a great experience during the seasonal down time. Great breakfast spread in the morning and enjoyed a warm clean pool area during the day. Comfy beds and a clean room with enough space to not feel cramped, even being at the hotel felt relaxing.

Regardless of price, I would stay at the Best Western Derby. ALWAYS clean! Pool area is fantastic and super clean, and WARM! kiddos love it! Beds are comfortable and rooms are quiet. Staff is incredible friendly and always has a smile to greet us. We have tried multiple different places in the Eagle River area but Best Western is hands down the BEST! If they are all full, we will change our plans in order to stay there. Highly recommend

We needed a place to stay for two nights. The people there went out of there way to get us a handicap assessible room by rearranging some thing for us. I often choose hotels based on reviews and I have to say the reviews for the Derby Inn were spot on. They were all positive and I can understand why after stayng there. I am not often comfortable in hotels but this hotel experience is the BEST I have ever had. The employees are friendly and knowledgeable. The building is VERY clean. The breakfast is phenomenal- so many choices, hot and cold. The breakfast burritos were delicious and made on site, not prepackaged.. The Derby Inn will ALWA,YS be our choice whenever we visit Eagle River and I highly recommended it to anyone else looking for a pleasant experiece.

We bought a house near Eagle River. House hunting, offer, inspection, closing and house work took us to The Derby Inn Best Western multiple times over the last year. Each visit was very good. Good staff, clean comfortable rooms and great housekeeping. We have been to many hotels during COVID and each seemed to miss the mark on something. The Derby Inn Best Western was consistently good in all categories. That's the mark of a good hotel.

Hotel was very nice and accommodating. Check in was a breeze and staff very friendly. Rooms were clean, beds comfortable and amenities needed for stay available. Continental breakfast was pretty good and front staff made sure there was always food even with surges. Only minor inconvenience was location of driveway off main road. Little disappointed price point was doubled for the weekend in expectation of pond hockey tournament. Assumed prices would be elevated, just not double.

Great place to stay. Big parking area to park snowmobile trailers. The rooms are nicely decorated, they are clean and the beds are good. All staff we encountered goes out of their way to please us as their guests!

Beds and pillows were very poor. Lighting in room was kind of ridiculous as you couldn't see all parts of the room. Breakfast was good according to the kids. Pool and hot tub saved the trip from being a disastrous back pain from the beds.

Outstanding service! The amenities were fantastic, The pool has a mosaic of a Derby snowmobile racer. The rooms were named for past World Championship Snowmobile Derby winners that go back to the 60s and 70s. Very cool and unique. Support veterans and local organizations . Right on the trail next to the Snowmobile World Headquarters and museum and also close to the World Championship Derby Complex.

We booked this room last minute and couldn't have been more happy with this hotel. Very nice, clean, comfortable bed and linens, and every employee we encountered was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and we very much enjoyed the fact that there was a bar. Our room was more expensive than the regular prices but that was our own fault for booking it so last minute on a big race weekend. We didn't mind. It was worth every penny.

Great time in Eagle River Wisconsin and surrounding towns. Derby Inn was cozy and comfortable and very clean. Nice lobby to sit and play cards or read a book by the fire. Breakfast was hot and filling and staff was very helpful and kind.

3 nights and it was great. Clean, kind staff, beautiful area, easy check in and out. Pool was clean and warm as well. I never sleep perfectly when away from home, but the bed was sufficient. Breakfast was hash browns, eggs, bacon, and then lots of prepackaged muffins, breads, bagels, spreads, make your own waffles, cereal. Tons of hot coffee, milk and juices. It was a wonderful stay.

Great pool for kids, great breakfast, room size and amenities were pleasant, dirty air filters, noisy heater/air conditioner, unpleasant desk attendant. Easy to find without any outside noise from the road.

The overall staff was friendly but they had quest from hockey tournaments and they were totally out of control. Noisy disrespectful, and just plan mean. One group of boys tried to intimidate me by waving a hockey stick at me. The lady in the next room had a small dog that tried to nip my ankles.

Everything went fine. The hotels in Eagle River Wisconsin were full do toa youth hockey tournment going on and Lisa found us a very convenient room on a short notice seeing we are elderly and handicapped

nice hotel but there is no quiet time (they say at 9) but that never happened kids in and out of pool and hottub unattended past 11pm playing hockey in the hallway till late,knocking on doors late and running down the hall was a nightmare we actually left early on our last night and didnt even tell anyone because it fell on deaf ears

We were on a road trip and this was one of four hotels we stayed in along the way! It was in a great location, the rooms were very nice and the staff were extremely kind. If we find ourselves back in Eagle River we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

The Best Western Derby Inn is very warm and welcoming. Every area of this hotel is clean, well maintained and is decorated to fit the theme of Eagle River. Breakfast was delicious and bountiful. The rooms are large and have enough storrage to stay a long time if needed. The pool and hot tub are huge and very well stocked with towels and lounge chairs.

The atmosphere was very relaxing. The breakfast was excellent. Thanks for the Fall decorations Everyone was helpful. I enjoyed sitting in the lobby by thE Fireplace drinking coffee in the morning. For what we had planned it was a perfect location. We enjoyed everything about our experience

Best Western Derby Inn offers clean comfortable rooms with a great breakfast, coffee maker in rooms, swimming pool and jacuzzi, free parking, free computer usage, excellent customer service with great employees.

We stayed at the Best Western Derby Inn on the second night of our trip. I can always count on the Best Western for a pleasant stay. The room was lovely and clean, the staff was friendly and helpful and it is always nice to have breakfast available in the morning. This particular hotel was one of the nicest Best Western's in which we have stayed. It wasn't far from Bond Falls in Michigan and was easy to find.

We were amazed at the pretty and fresh Northwoods style (open-concept vaulted lobby with a large fire place and wood shiplap on the walls and the ceiling). It's an uncluttered, crisp, clean take on Northwoods charm. Even the carpeting (very pretty) and furniture all were like new--no wear and tear on anything. Breakfast and bar areas were modern and immaculate. First time I've ever written this: SPOTLESS! It looked like the property was built yesterday. We didn't have a chance to use the indoor pool, but as viewed from the 2nd floor overlook, it looked just as well-maintained. WARNING: the only downside is that this 2-floor motel has no elevator; choose a 1st floor room if that's a problem (it wasn't for us). It's also, surprisingly, a very quiet property (even though it's across from far end of Eagle River's local airport). Finally, it's very close to Eagle River's shopping strip (charming little shops and candy stores---just what we like to browse through), plus a Walgreens, a McDonalds, a local barista, and a family-style restaurant (think "Dennys"). PS The staff was pleasant, helpful, and professional, and the bedding is spa-type as in the larger hotels. NO qualms about returning to this motel again; never thought I'd find one like this.

Rooms are clean and smell nice. The pool is open for adults all night, kids can swim till 11pm. The only downfall was our coffee pot didn't work. Overall tho it was a nice visit, kids said they had a blast.

We have stayed in this hotel a few times previously. Always liked it. Our room was nicely appointed. My only criticism is that (and this is only because I'm older now and have bad knees) is that there should be an elevator.

This Best Western is a little over a mile outside of Eagle River and that was perfect. Close enough to enjoy but away from the traffic. Nice room friendly staff that gave me advice on restaurants in the area. Also, breakfast had a good variety of hit and cold food.

Beautiful, clean hotel with great rooms and great service. Lots of personal and local touches in the decorations to tie it to the local community and its snowmobile racing history. I would give this hotel my highest recommendation. a very pleasant surprise in a small Wisconsin town.

Great rooms and a very delicious breakfast with great choices, atmosphere was very good and friendly. Staff was extremely helpful and offered help if needed. Would recommend to others and great value for the money.

The beds were comfortable. The room was clean. Breakfast was great. It included eggs, sausage or bacon, potatoes, cereal, donuts, oatmeal, waffles, yogurt, fruit, juice, coffee. My daughter got the pool to herself both mornings we there over Memorial Day weekend. The staff was friendly. If we are ever in the Eagle River area again we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

This hotel was immaculate in every way! Clean, nice breakfast, nice rooms, friendly staff, and very quiet! Every time we asked for towels or room supplies, Tiffanie was right there and very helpful. Immaculate!

Best Western Derby Inn is exceptional, clean, full breakfast, and wonderful employees. No smoking and pets not allowed which makes for good air quality. There is an indoor pool open 24 hours. Free parking is provided.

We rode in from Calumet Michigan on snowmobiles (152 miles) to the Derby Inn and had a great stay. The hotel is located right next to the sled trails and you can ride from your door to hundreds of miles of trails. The hotel was very clean and quiet and the staff does a great job. They offer a nice breakfast in the morning to get you going. The pooll area also has a hot tub but we were just too tired to use them.

This is a very nice hotel the rooms were very clean the breakfast was good and the staff was very accomodating! I highly recommend this hotel.. The key to this place is that the pool and hot tub are open 24hours.

Had a great experience. Clean, modern, friendly. Hands down the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. Even more comfortable than my own!! Great staff and just what my husband and I were looking for when staying in Eagle River

Was disappointed in the food. My 2 year old didn't even get filled up. I get the covid precautions but the eggs were slimy. And weren't eaten. Then had maybe 15 cubed potatoes and 2 sausages. Pillows were comfy.

Arriving at 9pm, the check-in process was quick. Room was nice and beds were very comfortable. The hotel offered different breakfast options, including hot and cold bag items. Rooms were comfortable temperatures upon arrival and very clean.

great location, quite side of town not busy, hotel is 25 years old and we thought it was brand new. very clean, friendly staff, will for sure stay there again. Defiantly made us feel at ease traveling during COVID.

This was an unexpected stay but a pleasant one. The Derby Inn is well run with a friendly staff and a welcoming, clean atmosphere. Our room was well appointed and clean with a comfortable bed. The pool and hot tub area was enjoyable. Potential future guests should be aware that there is no elevator.

Decided to book a room in Eagle River after not finding any vacancy or rooms available at a fair price in Minocqua. Glad I did! The Derby Inn exceeded my expectations and provided a great place to stay while checking out the fall colors in northern WI. Clean, comfortable rooms that are nicely decorated. The bedding and pillows were very comfortable which allowed me to get a good nights rest. The hotel and rooms have a more upscale look and feel of a luxury hotel but at a more attractive price. Being a snowmobiler and Eagle River being the snowmobile capital of the world, I really enjoyed the decor throughout the hotel with pictures of past champions and vintage race sleds above the entrance foyer. Nice selection of restaurants nearby along with plenty of things to do in see in Eagle River and surrounding area. Why stay in Minocqua when you can stay at the Best Western Derby Inn for a great room at a fair price!

Very clean and efficiently run hotel. We would definitely stay there again, although the rate was a little steep. Great breakfast served very efficiently. Beautiful area with great restaurants. We, ate at the Twilight Supper Club and the food was superb.

The room was very clean and up to date. Excellent service!! The amenities offered are very good and the staff is friendly. Even with the current Covid issues the staff has made our stay very seamless.

Very welcoming and helpful staff. Very clean throughout the entire facility. I don't think I found any issue and this is very unusual as we've been in many hotels over 30 years. During this time of Covid19 I was very pleased with the cleanliness as well as there way of handling breakfast. Some items are still help yourself but having a menu to pick from and handed to you is a great idea. There was no crowding at any time leading to a relaxed breakfast. Since we were there during the week social distancing may have been easier, not sure. This was also good for the pool and hot tub. After a day of hiking in the UP it was nice to come back and relax our muscles.

Due to "confusion", we chose the wrong city for our two night visit. Fortunately, having always enjoyed Best Western stays, we were able to book our stay the same day we needed to reserve it and move with no disruption to our plans. The Derby Inn was immaculate, and decorated with Snowmobile Championship memorabilia. Our room had housekeeping both days with the room made up and clean towels. The breakfast remained the same high standards. A cute chalkboard at the desk listed the hot breakfast choices which were prepared behind the desk. Slices of bread, bagels, etc. were offered in individual bags. Juices could be dispensed by using a napkin to push the buttons. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome, and offered suggestions for restaurants, etc.Definitely a great "get way" Up North.

The hotel is always clean and well maintained and the Keurig coffee maker is great for us. The pool is a nice size so you don't feel crowded and the staff will do anything for you. We will keep coming back to this hotel. One tiny drawback is, if you have a lot of bags, there is no elevator so you'd probably want the first floor if that works better for you. Otherwise we've been on both floors and was great! P.S. if you want a better view, ask for a room on the back side of the hotel. Sometimes you see horses running around, that's what we have experienced.

This is a wonderfully clean and expansive property perfectly located in Eagle River. Even in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, this hotel and its staff went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Perfect example- when my wife suffered a water skiing injury and had to endure a 6 hour drive back home with her leg propped up in the backseat, the hotel was kind enough to provide a pillow to ease the pain. Also, they refunded one of our nights when we couldn't stay due to the injury. Folks, that is pure kindness and we need more of that these days. I would go on and on about how great the pool, the hot tub, the convenient breakfast and the expansive rooms but if the staff isn't hospitable, the rest doesn't matter. Thanks BW Derby Inn, you made our stay wonderful and I hope many future customers will take my advice and make this hotel their hotel of choice in Eagle River.

Traveling as much as I do, when you see a Best Western and it is in a more rural area, you're not expecting the best accommodations. I was pleasantly surprised to find that everything was actually very nice. The room and bed was comfortable. Nothing was broken or looked drab. The shower had excellent pressure. The staff was very kind and welcoming. No complainants whatsoever!

This is a clean, quiet hotel with decent amenities given the Covid-19 situation. An elevator to the 2nd floor would have been a nice thing as we were moving a cooler and several other items daily. Next time I would request a 1st floor room. A little pricy for what it is, but it's the summer season so not unexpected or outrageous.

Nestled in Eagle River, WI this clean hotel had everything we needed -- two King beds! The room was clean and quiet and the staff was friendly. Breakfast was very good and plentiful. The lobby and room seemed to be new and remodeled within the last 10 years.

Woman at check-in was not friendly at all. She did not recognize Elite status. I had a $50 Travel Card that I wanted to apply to my room but she told me that she didn't think I could use it because it was a holiday weekend. She stated she would ask the manager in the morning. I am a person who is high-risk for complications if exposed to COVID-19. None of the staff at the hotel wore a mask. It is impossible to stay 6 feet away from the staff at the front desk when you check in. I realize that the rate of COVID-19 was very low in that area but this is a tourist area with many people traveling into the area that likely came from areas with much higher rates. A staff person at the front desk who could not stay 6 feet away from people checking into the hotel could easily be exposed to COVID-19 and spread the virus to other visitors. I have stayed at this hotel many times and been very happy but this makes me seriously rethink staying here in the future. I would strongly discourage people from staying at this hotel during the pandemic if they are older or high-risk for COVID-19 complications.

Comfortable beds and well decorated rooms. Pool is warm and clean area with hot tub. Extra seating for family chats. Lobby with fireplace and TV with nice seating. Staff is friendly and helpful. Close to Derby activities and recreational snowmobile trails. Short distance to downtown and several restaurants close by.

Stayed here on a Friday night in October. I had a gift card sent to me via email direct from Best Western. I was told the only way it could be redeemed was to print it out. While very inconvenient, the desk worker was patient and helpful. Once checked in, we went to our room which was clean and comfortable. We did use the pool, which was nice. The towels were out but we asked the front desk for some. Breakfast was tasty. Would stay here again if in the area.

Excellent place to stay! Rooms were clean, bed was comfortable, employees very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent! They offered a taco bar on one of the evenings which was awesome! I WILL stay there again!

Clean and well staffed. Excellent breakfast. Good selection of breakfast foods, including meats, fried eggs, fresh cooked potatoes, waffles, cereal, pastries, etc. Competitive pricing when compared to other hotels in area. Room was very clean and staff was very friendly and helpful. Hot coffee availabel 24/7 which made coming in from the cold more inviting. Very comfortable beds.

If all Best Westerns were like this- they would be much more popular with travelers. A very nice clean esthetically pleasing hotel. One important note is it is 2 story- NO Elevator- realize could be a problem for some. Nice breakfast and even a happy hour the midweek night we were there

The Best Western Derby Inn in Eagle River was the perfect hotel for our two night stay this October . The Decor and staff were very welcoming ! The hotel lobby and our room were both clean and up to date . The complimentary breakfast was delicious and the staff was very attentive . We didn't use the pool but it looked very nice and I'm sure if we had the kids along they would have enjoyed it . We would recommend this hotel if you are in the area!

This hotel is on the outskirts of Eagle River. It has a hot tub and pool and both were clean and nice to use. The pool towels surprised me. They were more like a bath towel large. It was a nice surprise. The front desk was very personable. The room was clean, quiet, comfortable, and new looking. Shower was great. I would definitely return here. The breakfast not very impressive but there are plenty of good breakfast places in town. Rooms have microwave and refrigerator. Easy and fast internet service.

We stayed here a long time ago. This time the Best Western 800 reservations guy was great in setting this up for using our points & paying for one night. Hotel was well kept. Room was very clean, bed was a King & comfortable, brought our own pillows. Room was very quiet last time construction was taking place at the new school behind it. We were on the NW side away from the front & school. Frig in room worked good. Not a very big freezer but kept my cooler things cold. Towels were big & had plenty. Could have used another waste basket & easier TV to work. Thanks to the guy at the desk having to make 2 trips to get it hooked up right. Can't say anything about the breakfast but my hubby said it looked good both Sat & Sun. Fri looked a little less. We ate with our friends all 3 days. Just wish the weather had stayed nice on Sat. Just a little rain & cooler temps. At least it did not SNOW

The Best Western was a great place to stay for a short trip. Unfortunately, they have a nice bar area in the lobby, but no one to staff it so it wasn't open. That was disappointing. It would have been nice to have a cocktail when we arrived.

One of the best BW's I have ever stayed in. Only downfall was that there is no elevator (only 2 floors) & the young man at the desk said he would carry our bags up for us. Room was very nice & breakfast was also very good. If you are anywhere near Eagle River WI & need a room, this would be the place.

The exterior was new and attractive. The room was spacious, fresh, modern, clean, and had beautiful furnishings and colors. Even the prints on the wall were beautiful. The room was quiet, bed was comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, especially the sausages and waffles. The pool and spa looked great but we didn't use them this time. Cheryl and Mary on the desk were friendly and helpful. We had a great rate because we are seniors and were there on a weekday after Labor Day. If we return to Eagle River we will definitely stay at the Derby Inn.

I have been staying at this hotel off and on the last couple months and love the hotel. The best hotel I have ever stayed at. Very clean, great choices for breakfast, super friendly nice people at the front desk. Mitch and Mary made all my stays so much better.

This is a beautiful hotel located in Eagle River, Wisconsin. The facility is exvellent...great rooms, great pool, and great service. Very "northern Wisconsin" look to it. Conveniently located to shopping, state park's lakes and river. Highly recommend.

When coming up north one has to make certain sacrifices when coming to a hotel in the area. Most area hotels are old, not well maintained and staffed by (lets just be nice ) poorly trained individuals.......BUT not the best western. This place is wonderful. Clean, well run and operated as a big city hotel. Mary at the front desk is wonderful and i look forward to many more years coming up here.

We love to stay here. Breakfast is beyond the ordinary continental fare that the other hotels offer, coffee is not instant from a machine, beds are comfy, rooms are nicely appointed and staff goes out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. When in the Northwoods on business this is the place to stay!! :)

We've stayed at the Derby Inn in Eagle River for a few years for our weeks vacation. After staying for years at another hotel and there is no comparison between the two. Everyone at the Best Western are top notch. The hotel is clean and the pool and hot tub are always a welcome place to relax. Breakfast selections are many each and every day. A great place to unwind.

I hate writing reviews like this, but our stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing. I work as a caregiver for a disabled individual and our experience with this this establishment is among the most disappointing either of us has experienced. After driving for 6 or 7 hours with my client and her child to reach the hotel we were met with a parking lot that was being paved and no idea where to go to check into the hotel. There were absolutely no signs directing hotels guests where to go and we had to have a worker tell us which streets to go down and then we had to drive on a "marked" cow path. The marked cow path had one or two dull orange flags and was extremely bumpy which was incredibly painful for my client and aggravated her chronic pain. We were told by the hotel to park on the gravel which made our walk from the car through an unlocked side door (MAJOR safety concern,) to our room far too much for my client and she almost fell several times. That on top of the pavement fumes triggered an asthmatic episode in my client as well. Our room was intentionally situated right near the front desk to make it easier for my client to walk from the FRONT ENTRANCE. The hotel knew my client was disabled and never extended the common courtesy of calling us or any other guests and alerting them of the repaving situation. We were told we could cancel our reservation, but still have to pay for a room! We were also told that the hotel had just received word from corporate that the driveway needed to be repaved and we were shown a letter dated June 9th from corporate. We didn't come until June 13th, there was enough time to contact hotel guests and inform them of the inconvenience. In addition, there was no manager on site and we had to call corporate to express our upset. After all was said and done my client wanted to go into the pool with her son to relax and, of course, the pool lift's battery (most other hotels we have been to have had spares) was broken and she was unable to relax in the pool after the rough trip in. We also found a used soap with hair in it in our shower and the yogurt machine at breakfast was broken which was a personal blow to myself being someone who has an autoimmune disease and has to avoid gluten which is prevalent on most menus. On the upside, the hotel is nicely decorated, the pool was lovely, but it really did nothing to make up for the other frustrations we met along the way.

clean and friendly place with a nice swimming pool and whirlpool and also a sauna. they have a careing staff. they are in a great location in Eagle River wisconsin. Near good restaurants, bars and good fishing lakes with plenty of things to do and places to see.

Great place! Very clean , updated, beautiful rooms. Continental breakfast was outstanding. Pool and hot tub areas very clean. Like the open 24 hours with adults only after 10pm. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Barbara the manager deserves a raise. Outstanding service. Easy access to ATV trails. Will definitely return!

My husband ran the Journey's Marathon and we stayed here for 2 nights -- I wish we could've stayed longer! Gorgeous facilities, very helpful staff, the room was very clean, quiet, and spacious and the breakfast had many options. The hotel is located just outside of town so there was no road noise. You're close to the high school (walking distance) and trails!

I stay at this hotel everytime I visit Eagle River. The rooms are very clean and the beds are very comfortable.. The staff is friendly and service is excellent. The breakfast is hot and lots of choices. Best value of many hotels I've stayed at.

Went there for a hockey tournament. Great hotel for parents and kids alike. Awesome staff. Great pool area. Owner and staff were super friendly and accommodating. Rooms spotless. Can't recommend highly enough!!

Although we had have good experiences in the past at this facility, this stay was not. Upon arriving in our room, we discovered a used condom on the floor. We asked that it be removed by hotel staff, and it was not. Simply not acceptable.

Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Eagle River area. We stayed there with two hockey teams and were blown away by the friendly staff, clean rooms and beautiful decor, accommodating areas for hanging out and playing games, and amazing breakfast each morning!

The Dervby Inn Best Western is much nicer than we expected. The facility is remodeled, clean, and very comfortable. The pool and hot tub are awesome. The complimentary breakfast spread was better than going out to breakfast in the morning. Also it's literlaly own the snowmobile trail. This place is highly recommended.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. They gave great directions for the trails and conditions. The parking lot is right on the trail and gives you easy in and out. Jacuzzi was hot and freshly filled that day. and the front desk had a good stock of cold beer.

Long story short, needed to change the date of my reservation on the day of arrival, due to severe weather and a canceled ski meet. Someone at the hotel checked me into the rooms, even though I was not on site, which could not be undone, and I could not change my reservation. Got charged for the rooms due to someone's mistake at the hotel and didn't step foot on property.

This hotel is almost like being at your own home. The staff are professional, friendly and always there to answer any of your questions. Located a short distance from town and right on the snowmobile trail. Extremely clean and great breakfast. We have stayed here for years.

Our experience was wonderful at this motel. Great workers, clean rooms and all the fixings! The breakfast was also more than expected. Food was always full and kept warm. Friendly atmosphere, even the cleaning people were nice.

Stayed here November 2-4 2018. Great location Large size room with a comfortable king bed and pillows. Breakfast had a variety of food and was delicious. Only downside was shower water pressure was a little light. Overall great stay!

Was visiting my friend in Eagle River with another friend and her two kids. Was told to stay here and I'm glad we did. Everything was super clean, from the lobby, to the rooms to the pool area. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The beds weren't the most comfortable, but I tend to like a nice soft bed. Breakfast had potatoes, eggs and sausage which was a nice change from just cold options. Enjoyed using the pool and hot tub.The rooms also had a nice size refrigerator and s microwave. I didn't love the bathroom as the sink was on the outside of the toilet and shower.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good and there were a lot of choices including several protein options. The lobby was very comfortable and amenable to sitting alone or reading or gathering with a group. I would not hesitate returning.

We enjoyed this hotel, location, amenities, and cleanliness. Our late check in was accommodated professionally and gave us wonderful choices of local places still serving dinner. Pool area very clean, breakfast choices were very good, rooms newly updated and nice.

Very clean hotel overall. Guest room, bathrooms, pool area all very clean and comfortable. The 24 hours pool allowed the kids to swim the evening we arrived. The breakfast had a large selection and was available for a long period of time, which was great for the kids.

My husband and I seldom book a plain old hotel, but this was for one night and I was in a hurry so I grabbed this hotel. When we got to town I was disappointed that this one was a ways out of town, but in the end, it was wonderful. Staff was helpful and friendly, place was clean, it had a tiled shower which was very nice. The decor in the room was great, the amenities in the room very good. Even a larger fridge and plenty of space to spread out your belongings! They do have a pool but we did not use it. Breakfast was the usual, but fine. At least the food was fresh and the hot items hot/the cold items cold. I certainly would recommend this place and would stay here again. Price was fair too.

We have stayed at a few Best Westerns recently, and in comparison, Derby Inn goes beyond! Not only do they consistently update their environment, but the staff is friendly and helpful, and their breakfast is legitimate food. Other BW's do NOT serve the quality of breakfast as this location. It is obvious the owners have made extra efforts to make our stay feel most enjoyable and worth the cost.

the staff was very attentive to our needs and made the breakfast an hour earlier than scheduled every day. we asked for this accommodation so we could get to the lake earlier and not have to purchase breakfast elsewhere. would be nice to have more electric outlets in the rear parking lot in order to charge the boat batteries

I was very impressed with this hotel. Wasn't sure what to expect, but have been recommending it to everybody I saw this past weekend. Very clean hotel. Loved that they made a heart out of towels and put a personal note for us to find when we came back to the room, nice touch.

We stayed six nights in Room 223 which is at the far end of the first floor (only two floors). The stairs are right outside and at the bottom is a access door to the car park so it couldn't be easier. We overlooked the wildflower area and the trekking stables and enjoyed watching the horses and ground squirrels from the window. This was used as our base for exploring the area, our interest mammals and birds and we saw plenty. All the staff here are very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The Hotel is to the north of the town and I would say that you would need transport to get downtown. There is no restaurant but you can take your own food and drink in if you wish. We used Triggs supermarket as it had a good selection of deli items as well as a hot food counter. Breakfast is self service with three choices of hot food, bagels, pastries, cakes, muffins, cereal, yoghurt and fruit. The room was very comfortable with fridge and microwave. One thing about the America Hotels we experienced was the absence of fire doors on the corridors which eliminated door banging. The coffee machine had a small water container in the top which meant you could also use it to make tea. Everywhere is spotlessly clean. Oh, nearly forgot the pool which we didn't use but it seemed popular, particularly with families. Would certainly recommend a stay here and would use it again should we ever return to this area.

My three friends and I stayed here four nights. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Modern and clean rooms. Outstanding. For people visiting the area or if you want to visit the UP, great place to stay. Porcupine Mountains an hour and 1/2 away. I will be returning no doubt.

Traveling across the Upper Peninsula of Michigan it was a pleasure to find this hotel with such a nice, clean and comfortable room. The breakfast choices are great and they have a nice lounge area with happy hour. The pool is a good size and very well maintained.

From the outside a person would be fooled by looks. I have to commend the staff and management for creating a 5 star setting with minimal essential. The woodsy rustic decor was upscale. From checkin to checkout the on duty staff was polite and went above and beyond being helpful. The hotel was very quaint and charming. Some offerings included a nice computer and printer, free high speed internet, a semi private sitting and dining area, snacks and soda for purchase, and the 24hr indoor pool for adults, because 10pm and send away the kids. Most important for my travel demands is noise issues. The hotel sits far away from the road and has no side streets so my 4 days was serene as a atay at 4 Seasons. The rooms and interior is all new clean and gorgeous. I commend your Eagle Creek Best Western . Your efforts and hotel rate you number 1 on my list of all 3star hotels not only Best Western properties.

This is our third year of staying at the Derby Inn when we bring our children up for camp or visit during parents weekend. It has been consistently excellent. The hotel is well-kept, very comfortable and the staff is helpful and welcoming. I have had the pleasure of meeting Mary the General Manager who has been extremely accommodating year after year. There may be big, fancier resorts in Eagle River to stay at but give me the Derby Inn every time.

A nice hotel on the edge of town away from the summer madness. Clean, newer, HUGE room. Efficient, friendly staff. Bed was comfortable. Loved the credenza cubby, made keeping stuff organized convenient. Not quite enough lighting at night in the room for us, and would have liked a trash can by the bathroom sink. But we would recommend it. Can't say anything about breakfast as we didn't eat there. Loved the view from our window of the trail ride horses in the pasture next to the hotel. We would stay again.

We are so thankful that we read the reviews about the competitors and switched our reservation to the Derby Inn. What a great remodel for this property. Clean, comfortable, modern and fun, with a nice breakfast and friendly front desk. Nothing disappointing about our stay--made for a relaxing place to hang out as a family. Really refreshing to see a property invest and keep their facility going strong.

Stayed in the area for a few days and selected this property (although a little pricy) from past experience. It has been many years since a stay here and the property is well kept. Clean and quiet rooms. Very good breakfast and love the four mini waffle maker! Staff were/are helpful and friendly. Good amount of out let's for the tech charging. WiFi seemed very slow for some reason. They have NO elevator so be mindful of that if you've been placed on the second floor. The pantry is a little sparse yet a short distance away is eagle river with plenty of restaurants and snack/gas stops. Pool area looked okay, didn't try it. Parking seemed limited. Air conditioning could be placed on constant fan which is nice. Mini fridge was very helpful. I'll return.

This place was so courteous, they told us we were eligible for an upgrade and it was wonderful, what a beautiful room very comfortable bed which you all know is a rare but welcome find when it happens. Super staff while we were there. An excellent breakfast they put on I just can say enough. Best Western is our go to motel. If ya all are ever in the great north woods and going to be in the Eagle River Wisconsin area I honestly recommend thisBest Western.

I was at this hotel for a night while traveling on business, and was pleasantly surprised by how nice it was. They are going through some renovations, so the lobby and hallway was still a work in progress. But my room was more modern than you'll usually find for a hotel this price. The room was very big, with everything you would need for a business trip. Bed was very comfortable. The continental breakfast was about what you would expect. A negative is that the fitness room is through the community center, so you have to leave the hotel to get there. Not ideal when it's 20-30 degrees outside. But overall this was a nice place that I would stay at again if I'm in the area.

Stayed on a Saturday night in February 2018, hotel is a tremendous value. Staff are friendly and pleasant and very professional. Enjoyed dealing with Mitch on the phone and Jade at the front desk. Lobby was nice, room was sparkling clean, tastefully decorated, fairly modern, had real ceramic and mosaic tile in the bath / shower and granite counter on the sink. Room had a fridge and microwave, breakfast area offered coffee / tea / hot cocoa all day and cutlery / plates / napkins for folks who wanted to eat in their room. Hotel is very welcoming with big fireplace upon entry. Pool and hot tub area looked clean and did not have that overwhelming smell of chemicals. I am a very particular guest and generally only stay at Westins or very recently-built Hampton properties. I have absolutely no complaints to offer over my stay at BW Derby Inn. Based on quality and location (Eagle River), proximity to the snowmobile trails, etc. this hotel is a winner.

BW made another stay here a fantastic memory. what is better then staying right on the snowmobile trail, enjoying a variety of items for breakfast and then returning to enjoy the relaxation of the hot tube when it's -7 F outside. the facilities were clean, pleasant staff (Mitchell) at check-in and a Wednesday night customer appreciation with soda/beer and cookies. spacious room (king) with nice cabinetry/dresser/tables, sitting chair, desk and TV. only recommendation is to clean the sand in the bottom of the hot tub. otherwise this place was the tops during our stay.

We spent just one night here while in the area. The hotel was clean and quiet. Stephanie checked us in. Check in went well and she was very friendly yet professional. The pool area is very nice and clean. Pool was warm, however, they had to drain the whirlpool and it was ice cold and we could not use it at night but it was fine to use in the morning. We would stay here again.

Arrived and told us that we have a room showed us the room which is the most expensive one agreed to take the room came back down to the lobby with the one clerk on duty a woman cut in front of us and took our room cuz she had a reservation and that the motel had screwed up ended up taking her luggage back out of the hotel put back in the car call customer service they said if the lady didn't cut us off and they rented us the room she would have never got the room that she had a reservation for another room gave it to her for Less the price that they were going to charge us not a good way to do business

I arrived in the area on business last minute and local enforcement recommended the Best Western. The rooms and lobby areas were clean and nicely furnished. Breakfast was good and the staff were friendly.

Derby Inn is the only place we will stay while in Eagle River. Hotel and rooms are clean, the staff is friendly and accommodating. The breakfasts are generally pretty tasty. I wish they still had a working pizza oven in the bar area for those evenings when we want to relax at the hotel and not have to run somewhere to grab a bite.

We enjoy our stay and have a wonderful time. We stay here, because of Three Lake Winery recommendation. Also we found a great little brewery call Tribute Brewing Co. The White Spruce Inn restaurant was also recommendation. Check in was quick and easy. The room was clean and inviting. We didn't get to use the pool or hot tub. We look in the pool area and found the area was clean with plenty of towels. Check out was also quick and easy. We forgot something in the refrigerator. The desk clerk who checked us check out, let us back in, to get our stuff in the refrigerator. We strongly recommend the Best Western Derby Inn for all your stays

The Best Western Derby Inn is the best hotel in Eagle River. The rooms are excellent and the breakfast is very good. The location is also excellent and the staff is very accommodating. Love staying at this hotel.

We always stay at this hotel when we go up-north. Rooms are always immaculate, staff friendly, and amenities up-to-date. Conviently located with great restaurants nearby. We love to stay here whether business or pleasure.

Great location close to shopping and restaurants, clean room, free breakfast at a reasonable price. We didn't use the pool but it was large and looked great. There is a bar but we were told it is only "seasonal" which means 2 weeks in January during the snowmobile derby. We were a little disappointed but we had our our own bottle of wine and the hotel did provide us with wine glasses so not all bad.

Beautiful Hotel and location. The staff are amazing! Very polite and helpful. The free hot breakfast was one of the best we have had. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The fall decorations were beautiful and the sitting area by the fire place in the lobby is great! I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Overall, very nice hotel for a town the size of Eagle River, Wi. Very clean and inviting. The staff was extremely helpful on the phone, at check in and during our stay. The breakfast was also very good. The selections and how well everything was prepared almost made us forget we were in a hotel lobby.

I travel to Eagle River to work for 4-7 day stretches. This is a very comfortable and convenient hotel to stay at when in the area. They offer a great breakfast, have free internet service, and a friendly staff. The beds are also very comfortable. It is my my top choice when in the area.

This hotel is a very comfortable place to stay. We found it to be quiet and just on the northern edge of town. The rooms were very clean and the mattresses are pillowtop and very comfortable. This place has the feel of a new hotel. We found the breakfast to be satisfying with a more than average selection of both hot and cold food. We will definitely stay again!

This hotel is excellent, we have stayed there before years ago and it was nice then, and is still nice, they have clean rooms, great staff and a good breakfast, the only thing missing is an elevator. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We've traveled to Eagle River WI every year for the past 5 years, always stay at the Derby Inn. Fall is one of the best times to go, the hotel is far enough from the town, but close enough too. Highly recommend staying there!

Very Clean! We enjoyed our stay and the Continental Breakfast was very good. Hotel staff friendly and very helpful. The only negative was the sofa sleeper in the Suite we had. Difficult to assemble and not very comfortable.

Great place to stay. Very accommodating and VERY clean. The staff were always asking if all was well with our stay and if there was anything we needed to let them know. We weren't just a room number to them. There hard work really shows in the appearance of the hotel and the way we were made to feel welcome.

Stayed in a suite, very clean and spacious, even had a fan in the room, which I love for white noise at night when I'm going to sleep. Bed was perfect for me and my girlfriend. Everything was awesome, I highly recommend this hotel

I had made my travel reservation on my way into town then had complications with my trip. I tried calling to cancel my reservation and no on me answered the phone and I was still charged for a stay. Very displeased.

Stayed two nights. We got a suite which was very nice. It looked like it had recently been updated or remodeled and was very clean. As you walked in the door it had a living room with sleeper sofa, coffee table, fridge, and desk. Then was the sink with a coffee bar and separate toilet and shower. Then there was a nice sized bedroom with a king bed and a door that could close. I liked this layout and it worked well to have 3 people stay in one suite because the one extra person had her own space. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The pool area seemed nice but we didn't use it. There was no elevator. The included breakfast was your standard budget hotel fare. Parking lot was almost full the second night we stayed, otherwise plenty of parking. It was a little bit north of town and not much around it. It was pretty quiet despite seeming full. I couldn't get over the rates though, they were SO high. I figured there must be something going on so they raised them for that weekend. I think the rates could come down a bit and still be fair to all parties involved. But we needed a place and it served its purpose.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. The room was clean and comfortable. We would stay here again. The breakfast selection was sufficient, the waffles were the best I found at any hotel this trip! There is an indoor pool which looked clean and inviting, but I didn't have a chance to try it out. Next time!

We were in town for a wedding, we really enjoyed our stay. Very clean room, very good breakfast. The staff was very nice and helpful. My only complaint (hate to even call it that) was that there was no an exercise room.

We stayed in Eagle River for the first time this summer and were pleasantly surprised by the wonderful accomodations at this Best Western. We found everything very clean with friendly housekeeping staff. The front desk staff was also great. Rooms were clean with updated decor and bath. Beds were comfy and rooms were quiet. We didn't use the indoor pool, but they do have one. Close to everything in town, we will return again.

We've been staying at the Derby Inn every summer for 7- 10 days for the past 10 years. The hotel is well run, clean, quiet, and a great location. Breakfast is available every morning. Refrig in room is a good bonus. We look forward to our stay every July!

We found the Best Western Plus Derby Inn to be very clean, quiet, nice sized rooms, great staff. Knowing that so many Best Westerns around the country are not in good shape, this one is a very pleasant surprise.

We stayed here recently when we went to visit the Porcupine mountains. It was a great location - only about 1 1/2 hour drive and easy to get to. We were able to easily drive into St. Germain for dinner and shopping so it worked well. The hotel is very clean, well taken care of and it a pretty setting as we watched horses grazing out our window at night. The breakfast was very nice -lots of choices. The pool is open 24 hours with adult only hours from 10-7am. Would definitely stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay there very much. We will most certainly stay there again next year when we visit Eagle River Wisconsin. We stayed at other places in the area but none compared to the quality of the best Western.

Just a quiet and wonderful place to stay. Super Breakfast, great quiet clean rooms, wonderful and clean pool, just great staff especially Mary the manager, Jade (who got us a quiet room), Mitch, and Velisity. Just a great front desk and maid service. If you stay here, you will want to come back many times. Make sure you go to the Hideaway Pirate boat ride and twisted tour in Eagle River. Also, they have a great Wellness center associated at the Best Western Derby Inn. You will not be disappointed. We will be back. We loved everyone their.

I highly recommend staying at the BW Derby Inn in Eagle River, WI. It was very clean, affordable, and the staff was helpful. There is no elevator for the two floors, but the staff made sure we got into a room on the first floor, when we requested due to physical limitations. The manager and staff were all very friendly and helpful!

Friendly staff, nice and clean rooms, good breakfast offering. No issues with late check-in, made it really easy and quick. Probably the nicest hotel in Eagle River. While there we booked another stay for 1 month later.

In town for a family baptism. After a long drive it was nice to sit back relax in a clean comfortable large spacious room. King bed was super comfortable, large screen tv, and great pool. The breakfast is by far better than what we expected huge selection and fresh. Very friendly staff.

Pleasant people at front desk that handled everything we needed and answered all our questions. We had a queen room with two beds. Large screen tv with a lot of channels, frig and microwave. We will definitely stay here again.

Stayed at the Derby Inn for one night. Room and overall hotel seemed clean. Room was quiet. Not sure if the bar is seasonal but was disappointed we couldn't enjoy a cold one there in the hotel. Be advised that this hotel has no elevator. Wasn't a problem for us, but if you want to be on the 2nd floor then you will have to carry luggage.

Had a pleasant five day stay at this Best Western Plus Hotel. The breakfast were great. Have stayed at this facility for several years. Will return again this fall to see the fall colors and next year for another summer vacation.

Although this Best Western was fine, it wasn't what I'm used to at a Best Western. The rooms were fine, but I think we could have done better or at least the same for less $. We also got the feeling that we were lucky to have them, whereas most of the BW's are more welcoming- maybe we caught them on a bad day, but I'd stay somewhere else on the next visit. The staff was wonderful. Very helpful and very friendly. Also, the rooms were great. Very NICE! Bathroom and Shower area was very well done. Clean and very comfortable. I really liked the breakfast. It was one of the best that I have had in a long time.

For a weekend escape we headed to Eagle River and stayed at the Best Western Derby Inn. We were there in between seasons so it was very quiet. The room was very clean and comfortable. The employees were nice and helpful. If we get back up in that area we would stay there again!

Our room was very clean. The decor made us feel like we were at home. The warm breakfast had a great selection and changed each day we were there. The pool and hot tub areas were also very clean. We will definitely stay here again.

Starting with the good: The hotel itself was very nice, the rooms were comfortable and very clean. I thoroughly bleach wipe hotel rooms when we check in, and I was impressed with the cleanliness of the room. The pool area was nice. The hotel is well maintained overall. The poor review is strictly for the customer service. During check in we were yelled at for not calling ahead to tell them that we were using Scrip gift cards (you don't pay until check out, but apparently this is an unwritten policy that we should have known about ahead of time). The employee threw our stuff on the counter and said he needed someone else to deal with it later. The hotel was filled with kids and at one point the front desk employee started screaming at some of the kids. One of the parents of the children had to calm him down and return him to the front desk. His behavior was extremely unprofessional and I haven't ever witnessed anything like that from a hotel staff member before. During check out, I was advised by staff that the gift cards I presented didn't actually have the value indicated on them and that I owed additional money. After being told several times that I was wrong, they looked through more paperwork and found the extra amount somewhere else. Thankfully everything was corrected and I was emailed a proper receipt, however, I don't think I have witnessed this type of disorganization and poor training. I would have ranked them much lower, but the girl at the front desk during check out was friendly and did eventually resolve the issue with the bill.

What a great experience at this hotel when we came up for a stay for a winter weekend. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, the rooms were updated and clean and in good working order. The temperature in the rooms regulated well and didn't leave you freezing or sweltering, the pool area was huge and well maintained and there was a small game room. Hockey teams can be a pain for hotel staff but they were very respectful and helpful to us, explained the rules politely, and everyone was able to have a great time and (hopefully!) not bother the other guests. They allowed us to use the cozy lobby and fireplace area for our team party, the location was great. Many other hotels in Wisconsin have failed to hit the mark but this small town one was definitely remarkable.

My husband and I just returned from our 3 night stay at the Derby Inn. We had not been at this Best Western since our visit there six years ago. We were pleasantly surprised by the refurbished rooms, especially the remodeled bathrooms. Very elegant looking tub and shower and granite bathroom counter tops with new faucets. The lobby front desk area had been remodeled and looked more like a luxury hotel than one of your standard Best Western chain hotels. We were impressed with their new look, soft, comfortable beds and pillows and the cleanliness of the rooms. Plenty of soft, large bath and hand towels as well. The breakfast in the morning was very much improved with more selections like scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, bagels, English muffins, toast, sweet rolls and waffles, plus all your standard cold choices like yogurt, cereal, juice, etc. Also, they had a customer appreciation night on Wednesday with free beer, soda, cheese spreads, and several varieties of crackers free for their guests from 5-7pm. I have never been to a Best Western where they offered this kind of hospitality to their guests. (I don't know if they have this every evening as we were only at the hotel one time during those hours.) The entire staff was helpful, and friendly and very pleasant. Also there was always coffee any time of the day and free snack bars at the front desk. Rates were very reasonable considering if was over the Thanksgiving holiday. We were extremely satisfied with every aspect of this hotel. I just wanted to update my review from 6 years ago because of the very positive improvements made since then. We definitely would stay there again as it is now one of the BEST Best Westerns we have ever stayed at!!!

Rented 2 rooms for the kids & grandkids 23&24th Nov and they all said it was a great place to stay and all the staff were just super friendly and nice. As I live up here I knew they would like it and so happy they did,it made for a great thanksgiving visit and we all highly recommend on your next visit to the Northwoods. We discovered this gem of a hotel a few years ago. The staff is very helpful. The hotel and the rooms are spotless. It is a quiet place and in very good condition. The hot tub and pool are fun and clean. It is near the snowmobile trail, the airport and the crew car can be parked at the Hotel. This is what a hotel should be.

Nice hotel for the location. There were other people's hair on the pillowcases, so I don't think the sheets were changed between guests. Also, the box spring is probably broken because there is quite a "dip" in the bed. This hotel is the nicest hotel in the town if not the whole area. I have stayed there often, but this time was not good. Sound of running water in pipes all night long behind the walls. Room 117. Ugh.

My husband and I stayed at the Derby Inn for a 3 night stay. The motel is clean and comfortable. The rooms are large and the staff is friendly and efficient. There is a nice sized pool and hot tub that is well maintained. A very relaxing stay. Located on the North side of town, off Hwy. 45 N. Easy to find and close to Leif's Cafe and the White Spruce restaurants. Thumbs up!

We have stayed at this hotel several times over the years and have never been disappointed. Staff is friendly and hotel is well-maintained. Rooms have always been clean. We rarely have problems with anything not being in proper working order. Depending on where you are in the hotel, wi-fi can be a bit weak. Staff is friendly and helpful. We have stayed at other hotels in the area when this one was full, and always return to the Derby Inn, if a room is available.

We stayed here one night while heading up north on a leaf peeper drive. The Derby Inn was easy to find on the north side of town, was clean and fresh smelling and had an attentive and courteous staff. Fine place to stay.The lobby had a whole wall of trophies from the snowmobile races that are held just down the road from the hotel. We had a very pleasant stay and will return.

Was very suprised at how nice this place was. The staff was very nice and helpful. The place was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The room was nice and the bathroom was just redone. We both like the location, it was right next to the high school and out in the open. We felt very safe there.

We stayed at the Best Western Derby Inn for an overnight sightseeing trip around northern Wisconsin. The room we had was very comfortable and clean. It looked like it had been recently updated. The HVAC system in the room was very quiet! The breakfast was very good. Eggs, omelets, sausage, waffles and the usual cold items. Our stay was very quiet and relaxing.

Upon arrival, we asked for a rollaway or a cot, which the guy working the desk, rudely advised me they don't have any? I thought that odd. I asked for a 1st floor room since there were no elevators? (I was given a 2nd floor room at first, then asked where elevator was) The girl checking us in seemed mad that she had to change keys. The rooms however are very nice, and updated. Beds were so comfortable and love the Bath and Body Works products! Internet was quick, and was free of course. What WE didn't like was being awoken before 730AM to pounding of nails. That's a wee bit early to be fixing siding (we went to look where the noise was coming from) This could have waited til guests checked out, or until after 11am!! Breakfast was good, but cannot figure out why hotels use "powdered eggs". Yuck! I would've gladly given 5 stars if not for rude desk clerks and noise in the morning.

We made our way to Eagle River and decided to stop driving after being on road all day! Very nice room, comfy bed! Lounge area was updated, so was room! I am a little picky and was nervous and shouldn't have been! I would come again!

Great location in Eagle River. Gordo's Pub has great pizza, Twelve Pines has great fish & chicken. Sweetwater is another good place for food and great bar. We stay at this hotel every year for Cranberry Fest in October. It is a nice hotel and always clean.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was wonderful, the hotel and staff were great. I would definitely stay at this hotel in the future. As two women traveling together we felt safe in this hotel.

We drove 8 hours to this property on the 1st day of our vacation, and were warmly greeted by the desk staff upon arrival which perked us up right away. We were extremely pleased with the decor of the room, the wall colors were very relaxing and the tile work in the bathroom was beautiful. The lobby has huge beams and a high ceiling which gives it the lodge feel. The price we paid was very reasonable for the 5 star experience we had. My wife and I both liked the scrambled eggs for breakfast, which got us off to a good start for day 2 of our vacation.

This is the best place I have ever stayed in for the price! It is very clean and up-to-date. We stayed on the first floor in a room with a comfy King bed and Jacuzzi. There was a fridge, a microwave, and a kitchen sink. There were shelves and numerous places to put things. There is a secured Wi-Fi. I absolutely loved the shower! There was beautiful stone tile and a tile floor, too, with glass doors. Wish I had a shower like that at home! They serve a hot breakfast with eggs, bacon and sausage, besides the typical offerings for a Continental breakfast. That was great! The staff was very friendly, too. I hope to come back, again!

The rooms are huge for a hotel and the beds are very comfortable. Hot breakfast was plentiful. The location is great and easy to get to and find. I would certainly stay here in the winter when needing to dry wet snow clothes.

Very nicely remodeled, one of the better hotels in the area we have stayed at. Really have their bases covered. The adults and the kids were all impressed with all areas of the hotel. Even the breakfast offered far and away more choices than any hotel we've stayed at. Impressed with the brand name products offered for breakfast as well.

This was our second time staying here, the last time was year ago in the place is still as good. Excellent accommodations clean, and updated rooms, their breakfasts are one of the better chain hotel breakfasts you'll have. I won't hesitate to stay here again or recommend anybody stay here in the near future.

We stayed at the Derby Inn for a second year in a row when picking up our child from a nearby camp and were just as pleased this year. The breakfast has plenty of choices and is well-stocked. The room is clean. The staff are very friendly and always greet you when they see you. My only complaint is that the room air conditioner doesn't have a continuous fan option. We plan to return again next year.

Booked for one night and extended to two nights. We liked that it was clean , rooms roomy and comfortable, microwave and refrigerator and manager nice and helpful. The breakfast was good. Sausage, two types of eggs and waffles plus. Good coffee.

We had a good visit for one night at this hotel. Our daughters, ages 11 & 13, enjoyed the pool. We ate at the Pub, and food was good. Service was a bit slow. We had to call the front desk to find out how the A/C worked, and then were comfortable.

Hotel was very clean and quiet. Decent breakfast in the morning. Booked last minute and price was kind of high but that was expected. There is a nice pool which we didn't get. A chance to use but looked inviting.

We traveled up to Eagle River to drop our kids off at camp. I hadn't been up there in 35 years and Eagle River itself has changed a great deal. What was once a quaint little Wisconsin town is now a tourist haven. As with most tourist havens, there are always roadside motor hotels. The Derby Inn, however, is a cut above the usual. While it is not The Ritz or even a resort hotel, the hotel is well run, the staff friendly, the breakfast was very complete (they even had soy milk) and the room was perfect for our stay. The Derby Inn did the trick!

Nice clean hotel in the northwoods. Clean rooms, nice breakfast. Good location close to downtown and the airport and next door to the snowmobile track and local attractions. All the rooms are named after past Derby Champions, which adds an interesting touch of local history.

hotel was wonderful. Very clean, lovely setting, easy to find. Near good restraunts. Staff was very helpful.. As bikers, we are always concerned about parking our bikes under the shelter and they welcomed us to do that. Also gave us a bucket and rags to clean our bikes in the morning. We were there 3 years ago - and apparently the bathrooms were redone since then. Beautiful showers. GREAT place. Would go back anytime we're in the area.

I enjoyed the hotel and the staff and amenities, including the pool & sauna. However, room 201 is over the pool/sauna so it is extremely hot in that room. There's a fan in the living room, but that doesn't help as the air conditioner is in the bedroom. It's a constant cycle, too cold because the air conditioner blows over the bed, then too hot when the air conditioner cycles off. I think it's a great hotel, just don't stay in 201!

I travel a lot for business. Always stay at Hilton or Marriott properties. We were in a pinch during a quick visit to Eagle River and needed a place to stay. I was VERY leery to stay at a Best Western. But it was late at night and we needed a place so we gave it a shot. Wow! This property seemed liked it was brand new. It was exceptionally clean and BEAUTIFUL. It has an upscale cabin theme/decor throughout. The lobby, hallways and hotel rooms are outstanding. And I'll admit, I'm a hotel snob. After we checked in and I was saying how awesome the place was, my husband laughed and said I can't believe you would even consider staying at a Best Western. I would definitely stay at this property again. And my opinion of this cabin has definitely changed. I was very pleasantly surprised. We arrived around 9:30pm on 6/21 and the woman who checked us in was great!!!! So helpful and accommodating. Oh, and they even have Bath and Body Works toiletries in the hotel room. I thought that was great too!!! Anyone in the area should stay here! A++++++++

Hotel is very well kept, rooms are nice and spacious, clean and bed is super comfortable. For being full, the noise level was very low. I would def stay here again. There is no restaurant attached and none within walking distance as this is on the outskirts of town.

It was a very pleasant stay, room was clean and decorated nicely was impressed by bathroom shower it was done in ceramic tile not a cheap tub in closure. The rooms over all appearance was outstanding and the staff was professional and very helpful the overall stay was outstanding.

The hotel was very up to date and for the price you can not beet it in the area and only about 1 mile and 1/2 from downtown area, and very quiet at night. Would definitely stay there again

Very nice place in Eagle River. We arrived to find that our reservation was for the next night, not the night we arrived. The young man at the desk was quick to say they had little availability, but would give us a king suite for the same price. Our room was very nice, updated, and included a whirlpool tub. The included breakfast was good. We would definitely return!

A very well managed hotel, right in the heart of the vacation area of Wisconsin. Friendly staff, great breakfast, clean rooms, free WIFI, and comfortable beds. Did I mention the abundance of lakes in the area. I plan on making this hotel a regular stop for me. When I found out I would be in Eagle River on business I never considered any other hotel.

Quite possibly best weekend stay ever. Newly remodeled first floor, very spacious, first class room. Clean, Quiet, great beds, nice shower. Staff very polite and attentive. Hotel owned by brothers who are racers and own the Derby track just down the road. Nice racing motif, rooms in the Inn named after various racing champions, ample parking, nice pool and they have a nice breakfast in the lobby cooked by their staff. Located in the heart of Wisconsin's snowmobile country. Many other attractions close by in some beautiful country.

Traveling with my daughter to visit family in Eagle River Wisconsin, I found this place to be very well maintained and the people working there very nice and responsive to our needs. I have stayed at the Derby Inn for the past 13 years. They always do a great job of maintaining there property. The staff is always friendly and I believe that their rates are very competitive for a town built on tourism. I never stay anyplace in Eagle River WI

Very nice hotel with a pool and hot tub. The rooms are large and newly renovated with tasteful tile in the bathroom. The bed and bedding was so comfortable, we had a wonderful nights sleep! The breakfast included scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, and the normal cold choices. The snowmobile derby exhibit in the lobby is interesting, and the champion plaques in the hallway are a nice touch.

The motel is nicely decorated, but for me it was more important that it was clean and I felt safe as I was traveling alone. The staff were friendly and helpful. I also noticed when they weren't busy at the desk, they were doing light cleaning. That tells me they take cleanliness seriously.

I was recently in Eagle River, WI for a company training school. GARD Specialists, Inc. provided lodging for us at the Best Western Derby Inn. To say I was surprised by the accommodations is an understatement. From the entrance/lobby to the room the hotel was truly perfect. The staff was friendly and quick to respond to requests or answers to questions regarding the area. The cleaning staff was very good as all of our trainees discussed the cleanliness of each of our rooms. The beds, linens, and pillows are truly not what I expected from a Best Western. They were cozy and comfortable. Even the men in our group commented on how they weren't necessarily that tired, but they would get back to their rooms and crawl into bed and the beds were so comfortable they just crashed. I truly appreciated the pillows and linens. The bathrooms are updated with walk-in showers (at least the rooms we all stayed in). This gave the hotel an even more modern, clean, and welcoming feel. The breakfast each morning is definitely sufficient with choices of warm eggs/egg dishes and breakfast meats and potatoes. Of course there were plenty of other choices along with fresh apples and oranges. ALWAYS a plus to have more than carbs to choose from in a "continental" breakfast. The pool and hot tub were nice. The pool area wasn't blistering hot or humid. Nor was there a tear creating chlorine stench/feel to the air. I recommend this hotel without hesitation.

Hotel was nice. Rooms are very big. Best hotel bed I have slept on in a long time and I was in around 20 hotels this past year. Free breakfast was pretty standard. Location was good. Staff was friendly. Charged $20 per hour for late checkout. Was not happy about that.

Overall experience was very good, but biggest issue was with poor Wi Fi signal that did not seem to extend out to our room area. We could hardly connected to the wireless internet. For a business traveler this may become a problem if you rely on internet connection.

Love this hotel! It is upgraded and has a great pool and breakfast area. We have stayed at this hotel numerous times and it is always clean, friendly and the perfect location. I would recommend it to everyone.

While not luxurious or very modern in appearance, this is a solid hotel for this area. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the free breakfast was enjoyable and the staff was very friendly as well as accommodating. I would stay here again without hesitation.

I was in the area on business and when I travel the comfort of the bed if very important. This was a nice hotel it was clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast had a great variety. If in the area I would try it out.

Don't judge the book by the cover. Looks pretty blah on the outside but inside it is very nice and all of the amenities were clean and well thought out. Breakfast was great in the morning and our time there was very peaceful.

I was pleasantly surprised by the warmth of the decor, comfort of the room, excellent staff and options that were provided for breakfast (especially the make your own waffle bar!) that were offered. Me and my family had a very pleasant stay.

This Best Western consistently provides a welcoming atmosphere, clean comfortable rooms, and a breakfast selection that would meet the needs of even the most pickiest of eaters. The pool and spa are a spotless oasis for relaxing after of day of outdoor activities.

We had 2 nights with this hotel. First floor. Room was well maintained. Clean. Comfortable. Has a pretty good breakfast included. Did not use pool so can not comment. WIFI was free but pretty slow. Workable.

Time well spent! Super clean. The swimming pool and hot tube are very well maintained and the water is the perfect temperature. My family and I visit during hunting season and come back to snowmobile. Friendly staff. The rooms are in excellent condition and maintenance is top notch. The beds all have new mattresses and you sleep like a rock. Its right across the street from the snowmobile trail and right near the go cart track.

My family has been coming to Eagle River for years and stayed at a lot of hotels, this hotel was the cleanest I have ever been in. The pool was great and the whole hotel has the history of snowmobile racing which we think is very cool!

Excellent facility. Enjoyed our stay during Vintage Race Weekend. The lobby was very comfortable, the breakfast bar was well stocked, the pool was clean, the bar was very well stocked. The lobby was full of race history, the rooms are are numbered and identified by a race champion. We had room #120 which was Brad Hullings, he is a Derby Champion. The owner and I talked racing snowmobiles. He even came to our race trailer to see our equipment and talk technical details with us. It was great to see his involvement in the sport. Note: He was a Derby Champion also.

Our stay at the Derby Inn was excellent. The staff was warm and accommodating. The rooms were clean and modern. The complimentary breakfast was amazing! I am already looking forward to our annual New Year's trip next year.

Room had a very comfortable bed with a huge assortment of pillows, nice clean shower with shower and tub, very clean hotel. attractive lobby. Breakfast had many offerings from waffles, bakery, yogurt and cereal. Eggs left something to be desired and had a rubber consistency. Has a nice clean warm pool. Super hot hot tub

Quick overnight stay for business. Room was very clean and the lobby is beautiful. Staff was friendly, helpful, and laid back. Would have to say this was the cleanest hotel room I've ever stayed in. Wasn't the largest selection of breakfast options but I was able to grab something quick in the morning before heading off to work.

I had to stay here for 4 days while away for training for work. The hotel is beautiful, no detail over looked. The cleaning staff always straightened up my room, and left extra coffee in my room per my request. The pool area is open 24 hours, which was great! Beds were very comfortable. TV actually had a guide on it too. Their continental breakfast went above and beyond with eggs, bacon, sausage, and freshly made waffles with all the fixings you could imagine. So glad we got to stay here. And every one always says good morning.

We have stayed many times in this hotel, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the location is very close to the town and local attractions. They have just updated their breakfast menu which is much improved and made our stay more pleasant. We have recommended this hotel to friends, who have also been pleased with the service and accommodations.

The Derby Inn was very nice, clean and updated rooms. This was my first time staying here and I would stay again. The beds were very comfortable and rooms were spacious. Also, the breakfast was great! It was decorated for fall too which I always appreciate.

I happened upon this Best Western, and am happy I did. One step inside, I KNEW it would be a wonderful place to stay. The main entrance room was more than cozy. There was a fireplace, big chairs and a soffa you could sit and relax before you even checked in. There are 2 floors, and no elevator, so it could be a problem if you use a wheelchair,or have trouble walking. No trouble checking in. Beautiful area on the second floor with big comfy chairs, a nice place to just sit and relax, if you don't want to be in the room the whole time, BUT the room was amazing! The beds were so comfy, the room was totally clean, and the bathroom was too. It was just totally a wonderful stay...in face, I stayed there again, on my way back home. If you are in the area, I wouldn't look for any other motel, Derby Inn, Eagle River, WI is PERFECT!

The room was spotless. And that includes the edges of the room and behind the nightstand where I use the outlet. There is triple sheeting but under the comforter. I always take the comforter off because I do not care to ponder its history between its infrequent washings. Why they are still on beds in hotels I do not know. The room was spacious, the staff was pleasant, the breakfast satisfactory and the overall ambience excellent.

We had other plans, but they changed at the last minute and we were lucky to find room at the Derby Inn. Honestly, we just needed a clean place to sleep and we found that the hotel is really great. The bathroom was clean and the shower was great! The beds were comfortable and the complementary breakfast was better than average. Clearly the owners and staff take pride in this hotel. Thank you for a great stay.

The Best Western Derby Inn in Eagle River was awesome. We would highly recommend staying there. The staff was very courteous. The room we had was very clean and eye appealing. The bed was comfortable. We didn't stay in one, but we did see the bathroom of another room with the glass shower door and done up nicely. The floor in our room was the wooden look, and not nasty carpet which was very nice. The morning breakfast was your normal breakfast items, but staff kept the food fully supplied and the area clean. The inside of the Best Western is so nice with fireplace, small bar area, and breakfast area. I would not hesitate to come back to this Best Western if in the area again.

Stay. You'll love the clean, attractive facility and top-rate rooms in a lovely northern Wisconsin small town. The staff are friendly and helpful. [I'm being forced to use 200 characters, but I've said all I intended to say. It's a great place, convenient location, and happy people work there.]

I return here because it has comfortable beds and pillows, the rooms are clean and the décor is nice. The breakfast selection shouldn't have you complaining that there isn't something for you. Great selection of hot and cold Items.

We stayed at the Derby Inn at the beginning of our trip and because we liked it so much, we stayed on our way home. It has a beautiful lobby and our room was spacious and well appointed. The king size bed was extremely comfortable as were the pillows. The front desk staff was friendly and courteous. The breakfast was all good with the exception of the scrambled eggs. We would stay here again on our way through Eagle River.

We stay at the Best Western Derby Inn every year for Cranberry Fest. It is a very nice hotel. Very clean and quiet. They just updated the bathrooms and they look great! They have a very nice breakfast in the morning. Great place to stay in Eagle River!

Extremely friendly and accommodating staff, easy check in and check out process, good breakfast, very comfortable facilities. The staff was willing and able to provide advice and information on where to eat dinner, where to watch Packers, where to work out, and directions to various locations in the area. Physically, the room had everything needed for a comfortable business stay. This is the place I will stay on any future visits to Eagle River.

Very nice and comfortable hotel. Beds were super comfortable, the room was spacious and updated. Microwave, refrigerator, flat screen tv, free wifi,very nice staff. I especially like that you are able to open the window and enjoy the fresh crisp evening air.
